Sometimes the images received through clairvoyance are literal images, such as the umbrella blowing over. Oddly enough, this image was so literal that only Esther herself could understand it. On the other hand, many images are symbolic, and need to be interpreted by the person who personally receives them. Whether they are literal or symbolic images, they usually do not appear outside the intuitive's own mind or inner eye.

Many people think of the term ''inner eye" as a figure of speech, but the yogic tradition also uses the term "third eye." According to the Eastern tradition of chakras, wherein certain areas of the body influence energy flow in specific aspects of our lives, the third eye is the seat of clairvoyance. Located in the center of the forehead, it is the screen that receives visualizations, whether in the form of visions or imagery. Although a person may not feel that a picture literally appears in his or her third eye, the concept provides a slightly more concrete way of thinking about this ability.
When the process of clear seeing occurs inside one's mind, it's called subjective clairvoyance. But clairvoyance may reach beyond sheer visualization as well. In some instances, intuitives report seeing physical manifestations, which they call objective clairvoyance. (If you aren't up for any visits from unexpected guests, never fear. People who have developed this ability are rare and you probably aren't one of them.)
Clairaudience: Your Inner Voice

The translation for clairaudience is "clear hearing." Webster's New World Dictionary defines clairaudience as "the act or the power of hearing something not present to the ear but regarded as having objective reality." Clairaudience can include hearing sounds, such as music or ringing, as well as voices. Like clairvoyance, clairaudience can be divided into two types, objective clairaudience, which occurs in the real world so that anyone can hear it, and subjective clairaudience, which occurs only in one's mind.
When people hear voices, they can get confused about this form of intuitive information because it often sounds like their own, inner voice (which is sometimes referred to as self talk). Through practice, you can discern whether you're hearing psychic information, self talk, simple wishful
