So, how is imagination different from telepathy? Imagination comes from within a person's own mind, and involves thoughts and motivations that never demonstrate having any basis in reality. Although imagination can seem like prescience or telepathy, you can categorize its results into two categories: wishful thinking and projection. But because she feels too guilty to come right out and admit her feelings, she instead ''intuits" that Aunt Marge is really the one who's angry. By projecting her feelings of anger onto Aunt Marge, she can feel justified about her negative feelings toward herand less guilty about canceling the dinner plans. |
