Creating an Inner Sanctuary to Meet Your Guide
Your inner sanctuary is a place you can go in your imagination to receive psychic guidance and assistance. You may perceive this information as coming from your own intuition or from a spirit guide outside of yourself. Some people have what they think of as an inner guide that is connected to their intuition. Whatever way you experience the information is okay. For now, picture that it comes to you in a safe haven in your mind's eye. But how do you get there?
I've designed the following meditation to help you take a psychic journey to meet your special guide. The easiest way to perform this exercise may be to have someone read it to you slowly or to read it yourself into a tape recorder and then play it back. Otherwise, you may be distracted by the act of reading as you attempt to meditate. Here goes:
Meditation Exercise for Meeting Your Guide
1. Close your eyes and allow your physical body to become relaxed and comfortable. Allow your conscious mind to drop any cares of the day. Inhale deeply through your nose until your abdomen rises. Hold your breath for a moment, then exhale slowly through your nose. Continue breathing in this way for a few moments. Focus your attention on your breathing. Feel your breath coming in. Rest. Feel it go out.
2. Let yourself begin to feel relaxed and open.
3. Allow yourself to enjoy these feelings. Let your breathing move to a comfortable, relaxed rhythm. Tell your feet to relax. Say in your mind, "I am relaxing
