my feet.'' Feel the muscles become loose and relaxed. Relax your ankles. Say in your mind, "I am relaxing my ankles." Relax your lower legs. Relax your knees . . . your thighs . . . your pelvic area. Take a deep breath and imagine that breath flowing into your abdomen and relaxing that area. Now imagine it flowing into your chest . . . your back. Your neck is relaxing . . . your shoulders. Feel the relaxation flowing into your arms, and down into your wrists, hands, and fingers. Now relax your jaw. Let it drop. Relax the muscles around your mouth, your tongue, your eyes, your forehead, and your scalp. Take another deep breath and relax still further.

4. Count from 10 slowly down to one. As you do, feel yourself moving into a more and more relaxed yet alert and open state of mind. Let yourself enjoy a feeling of floating and moving weightlessly through space. Feel yourself traveling toward an illuminated, light-filled area. In your mind's eye, find yourself in a beautiful natural scene filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of a lovely day. The sun is warm on your skin and you have a feeling of relaxed safety, comfort, and peacefulness. This might be a setting in the mountains, at the seashore, by a lake or stream, or in a meadow. Accept whatever scene feels most peaceful to you and go there.

5. When you find your special place, you might want to imagine a house, a small cottage, or some other form of shelter there. You may want to place crystals, incense, magic talismans, plants, or flowers around your sanctuary. An altar might feel appropriate. Create and arrange things there for your convenience and enjoyment. You may even want to have a high-tech sanctuary and imagine a computer where you receive guidance. Or a large screen upon which your guide appears. Do whatever works for you. You can change and refine your sanctuary as you practice this exercise in the future. Your sanctuary is a place in your mind that you can return to at any time to receive intuition information for yourself and others.

6. Explore your environment. Allow your awareness to encompass the colors, textures, shapes, and spaces of your sanctuary. Notice any sounds you hear and notice the general feeling of this sacred place you have created. Be aware of any feelings or impressions you receive.

7. Take another minute to explore your environment.

8. Now, beside your sanctuary is a path. You may not have noticed it before. As you see it, your attention is drawn to a being surrounded by light that is approaching you. As it approaches, you feel your heart opening and you are filled and surrounded by a wonderful feeling of love and acceptance. This is your guide. Your guide steps toward you and greets you warmly. Your guide has been waiting for you. Allow this guide to be whatever it will. Allow it to emerge into your awareness without any assistance from you. Become aware of it's qualities, form, and appearance. You may experience the particular
