As you continue your sensory exploration, be aware that your strengths are likely to lie along the lines of your dominant sense as you defined it in Chapter 6. Trust the information that comes to you along that pathway. |

Getting a handle on your psychic self doesn't have to be difficult. Many methods exist for helping you delve into your intuitive side. We'll describe several of the better known ways of testing and measuring psychic ability in just a moment. |

Before you can get down to the nitty-gritty, however, you must first concentrate on clearing your mind. Concentrate on clearing your mind? Is that a paradox, or what? But the idea is to focus on tapping into your intuitive side and then opening up to allow information that you can't necessarily control to come to you. To do this, try these three steps that seem to work, in various forms, for many people (and they should remind you of the meditation exercise you performed in Chapter 6): |

1. Choose a calm place and begin to breathe deeply. |

2. Focus on the spot just between and above your eyes, which is the location of your third eye. |
3. Acknowledge to the universe (or to your chosen Higher Power) that you are open to receiving information and are willing to wait for it. |

4. Once you feel peaceful and open, you can simply wait for information to come to you, or you can direct your focus toward whatever exercise interests you, such as one of those that follow. |
