Determining Your Psychic Personality Profile
Just as people have certain personality traits in their personal and social lives, they have traits in their psychic lives. They may carry on a relationship with their intuition that seems to come from outside of themselves (for example, through clairvoyance or clairaudience). Or they may feel that their information comes through highly internal processes (such as clairsentience or simply knowing). And how they react to the information also reflects their psychic profile. Whether they remain silent about their sense or talk about it openly, the way they sense and respond to psychic information is individual for everyone.
To help you get in touch with whether you are a psychic introvert or extrovert, we include the following exercise. It offers you one last opportunity to fine-tune your sense of how you receive information, which applies to your psychic personality profile as well:
Exercise for Confirming Your Dominant Psychic Sense
Read through the next paragraphs once to fix the images in your mind. Next, close your eyes and experience the imagery with all your senses. In order to do this, you may find it helpful to ask a friend to read it to you, or to record it on a tape recorder and play it back as a guided imagery. Here goes:
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and relax. In your mind's eye imagine yourself at the beach on a beautiful, warm summer day. You hear the gulls calling to each other in the distance. You hear and see the waves as they gently meet the shore. You find yourself walking along, feeling the healing rays of the sun on your skin. The salty sea air floats around you as the breeze blows. Take your shoes off and experience the sand and then the wet, cool ocean on your feet. You hear a child laughing behind you and look to see that he is building a sandcastle. He yells to his brother to come and take a look.
You're feeling calmer and more relaxed as you stroll on the beach. You notice you're getting thirsty and see a lemonade stand a short distance away. You approach it and smell the citrus smell of the lemons wafting through the air. You buy a cup of the ice cold, tart liquid and take a sip. Taste it in your mouth and feel it slide down your throat.
