So, the brain's ability to connect to intuitive information seems to be housed in its upper-right corner. If only it were that easy to just knock on our noggins and get an answer to any question! But understanding how the brain is designed provides us with insight into how the transfer of information works.
An important theory about left and right brain hemispheres acknowledges that the interaction between the two creates the ideal mental state. To use our brain's abilities to their fullest, input from both hemispheres should be balanced to create an equal input of logical and intuitive thinking.

While the left brain is hard at work analyzing the facts, the right brain should be busy interpreting the data. Although we tend to focus on the rational functions carried out by our left brains, we can help to increase our right brain's input by participating in creative activities and meditation. This may explain why meditation helps us access our intuition . . . or maybe there's more to it than that.
