acknowledging the difficulty of their situation. Many times I wish I had a magic wand to wave or, better yet, a Rip Van Winkle pill that they could take and wake up when the situation was resolved!
What, No Crystal Ball?
No, a psychic doesn't have to touch you, or even be in the same room with you, to intuit things about youalthough some prefer this method. For instance, I give readings by phone to people throughout the U.S. and even internationallyonly about 30 percent of my clients visit my office in Newton, Massachusetts, which is a suburb of Boston. The office is located in an upscale section of town, on a street lined with gourmet restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and antique stores. I don't have a big sign with ''Readings by Madame Lynn" or a neon hand out in front. The office building is filled with psychologists, physicians, and social workers. Clients take an elevator to the second floor and turn left to get to my office door, which simply says, "Lynn A. Robinson, M.Ed.". Then they can have a seat in the waiting room and listen to classical music until their appointment.
My office looks like a big living room. It's filled with books and plants, a sofa, and a cozy chair. It's quiet, located at the back of the building, and looks out onto a porch. In the summer, it's overflowing with pots of petunias, begonias, and impatiens. I usually invite clients to sit on the couch, ask if they'd like to tape the session, and then explain a little about what I do before proceeding.
I just use my intuition when giving readings. I don't read palms or cards, or use astrology charts, but instead receive information in mental pictures or symbols, feelings or emotions, and sometimes in words. I usually close my eyes when I give a reading because it helps me to concentrate on the information I receive.
Not all psychics work in this way or in this environment, of course, but you shouldn't be surprised if the surroundings you find yourself in at your first reading aren't quite as exotic as you had imagined!
