Your intuition is constantly informing you of new directions you can take in order to experience more joy, peace, and happiness. You can only benefit by paying attention to these intuitive cues for change in your personal life. Many times people push aside the intuitive messages they receive and, like Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind, they decide to ''think about it tomorrow." |

Life is short. Why not do all you can to enjoy it? For instance, you probably spend most of your day working, but do you really love what you do? Do you feel a sense of purpose and fulfillment in what you're doing? Or does that sound like a dream worthy of the Wizard of Oz? Well, like the Wizard, you can find a way to get a (bigger) heart and find more courage. And you can even create a new brainby changing the way you think. |

If you feel hopeless about changing your life, you continue to create a hopeless situation. If you decide to look at life differently and try something new, you're well on your way to making great changes. |

The following exercise may help you access some of your deepest hopes and dreams for your future. The first question"If you did not have to worry about making money, what would you spend your time doing?"usually stops people in their tracks. I realize that's big "If." |

I have consistently observed that when I ask people what work they want to do, they usually respond with some variation of the theme, "I'd love to do ____, but there's no money in it." The subject usually ends right there, and they continue on disliking their jobs, regretting their lives, and dispassionately doing what they've always done until they retire. |

What if it didn't have to be that way? Remember the saying: "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten." Your intuition doesn't necessarily demand that you make a huge change in your life. Instead, it may suggest, through gentle nudging, that you pay attention to its wisdom and begin to take small steps toward creating a life you love. |

I could give you example after example of clients, friends, and students who have taken the small steps that their intuitions suggested to them. Typically, they went from jobs they hated to careers and lives that were fun, meaningful, financially successful, and all-around rewarding. But I won't tell you that this happens overnight. |
