The following exercise will help you develop your channeling powers. Since it's a meditative exercise, you may want to have a friend present to take you through the process by asking questions to focus your energy. Soothing music may also help you deepen your meditative state.
Channeling Exercise
You may experience your guide as light or energy, male or female, someone you have known or someone you've never met. Your guide will help you with this exercise. She (or he) will adjust your energy and align her energy with yours. Your guide may change over time as you evolve and have different needs and questions. If you feel uncomfortable at any time in this exercise, just open your eyes and return to normal consciousness.

1. Sit comfortably in an upright position, either on the floor or in a chair. Make sure you're in a position that you can hold comfortably for 15 to 20 minutes.

2. Close your eyes and relax your body. Take several slow, deep breaths. As you slowly inhale and exhale, imagine your emotions, thoughts, and physical body becoming calm. Feel yourself slowing down and relaxing. Take a few minutes to relax deeply.

3. Feel and imagine light and love coming to you from a much higher dimension. Imagine it flowing to you, surrounding you and filling you. Feel yourself lifting to a spiritual, beautiful place that is filled with brilliant white light. Imagine that you are traveling in a bubble of light into the sky, floating through the stars. As you move higher and higher, you are filled with a feeling of perfect love and safety. Carry this feeling with you as you move higher and higher.

4. Adjust your posture to a position that allows you to feel open. You may want to move your arms, head, and shoulders so you can feel as expansive as possible. Slow down your breathing and imagine yourself opening up even further to all the love and hope that exists in the universe. Feel yourself floating higher and higher.

5. You may feel yourself growing warmer and feeling a buzzing or tingling sensation. Just notice whatever you experience. Take another deep breath and exhale. Imagine that your emotions are calm and balanced. Make the energy around you feel as beautiful as possible. Imagine that rays of love and joy are pouring down upon you. They open you up and make you appear radiant and filled with love.

6. Go as high as you can imagine, moving into finer and finer energy. At last you enter a high dimension that is bathed in flowing light. A doorway opens before you and many guides and masters are there to great you. They usher you forward into the light. They tell you they are taking you to meet your guide, who is right for you to work with. This guide has been especially chosen for you and he or she is closely aligned with you.
