You've experienced it, haven't you? That feeling that you've already experienced something that is apparently brand new. A flash of ''I've been here," "I know him," "I've done this before." Sometimes, even in familiar surroundings, you've had an inner glimpse of an event as though you've experienced it before. What you've lived through is something called déjà vu. |

No one really knows where these feelings come from or what they mean. It could be one way you can connect with a place, person, or event from a past life. Another option is that the association comes via a dream or an out-of-body experience (something we'll talk about in Chapter 21). Any of these possibilities suggests an involvement of your psychic sense that moves you beyond your physical senses to connect you with a broader reality. |

The process of understanding and changing karma can be compared to a caterpillar entering its cocoon. It may involve a long process of trying to grow and then waiting to become perfect. Through conscious awareness, you can create your own metamorphosis. Your intuition can help you get in touch with what you need to learn. It can even help you see yourself change and grow. After all, stepping outside yourself to see where you are, what the big picture is, and how it all comes together is really what ESP is all about. |

All through my childhood, I had a recurring series of dreams that had a nightmarish quality to them. I dreamed of a large mansion that I seemed to have lived in. Many times, part of the house would be burned and I'd find myself wandering through it looking for something I couldn't find.
