Your Higher Self finds opportunities for you and provides the necessary impulses for appropriate action, so that you're attracted to those opportunitiesand they're attracted to you! Your feelings, hunches, and flashes of insight signal what actions to take. Your willingness to be spontaneous, follow your inner urges, listen to strong feelings, and act upon them can lead you to your goals. |

2. Believe in yourself. I see that one of the biggest reasons people become unable to create the lives they want is that they lack self-esteem and self love. Do whatever it takes to start believing in yourselfsee a therapist, work with your minister or rabbi, write in your journal. If you believe you're worthy of your goals and are capable of achieving them, you're well on your way! |

3. Know the ''science" of creating/manifesting. Thoughts, beliefs, and emotions help create your reality more than you might imagine. Researchers at the University of California discovered that individuals who believe strongly that they can change or control their destiny are more likely to persevere in a difficult task. |

I have a teacher, Tom, who taught me a valuable lesson: Whenever I spoke to him with any kind of limitation in what I said, such as, "It's so difficult to start a business in this economy," he would counter with, "If you say so." It annoyed me terribly at the time. But now, whenever I hear myself saying something in my mind like "I can't . . ." or "It's hard to . . .," I also hear Tom reminding me, "If you say so." I usually stop doing the negative thinking right away. Richard Bach addresses this issue in his book, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, "If you argue in favor of your limitations, you get to keep them." |

4. Start a plan of action. I call this "putting energy out there." What one step can you take? Start. Do it. Then take another. Follow your inner guidance. What is it telling you to do? Is there anything that feels appealing or fun? Do that. Someone once said, "If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always gotten." |

As we've discussed, the first step in creating a life you love is to be clear about what it is that you want. I use the questions in the following exercise to identify my true thoughts and feelings, which I can later refine and expand if need be. You try it! |
