You create your life experiences through your beliefs, the images you hold, the guidance you follow (or ignore), and the actions you take. It is within your power to create a life you love. |

People often come to me expecting to hear phenomenal predictions or witness miraculous events. I can tell them only what I see and provide them with what I understand to be the tools to create the reality they desire. The rest is up to them. One of my favorite quotes is from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland: ''There's no use trying," Alice said, "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." |

I think that what the Queen was on to is a philosophy called metaphysics. It's derived from the Greek word meta, meaning "going beyond," and physikos, meaning "the physical plane." It suggests that a connection exists between what goes on in your mind, beliefs, and consciousness and what you create in your life. |

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so," says Hamlet. We believe that this principle can apply to how you approach your life. If you believe your life's miserable and will always stay that way, then it will. If you want it to improve and you start to plan those positive changes in your mind, then your new future has already begun. |

But despite the best intentions, you'll still need to do more than wish and dream. I consider the following four steps as essential to achieving your goals and creating a life you love. |

1. Know what you want. Have a clear vision or goal for what you want to create. Don't spend a lot of time figuring out how to achieve your goal. Just do what the Queen suggests to Alice: Believe impossible things! |

The universe has amazing tools at its disposal to help you create what you want. When you're honest and clear about what you want, your Higher Self takes the long view of the connections and situations that must occur before you attain what you ask for. It begins drawing together the people, opportunities, and events that you need in order to create what you want. |
