Considering how many different interpretations there could be to symbolic dreams, is it possible that all dreams are psychic and you just aren't able to discern their true meaning? There's no answer to this question at this point, except that time will tell. Researchers at the Maimonedes Dream Laboratory in New York have done much in recent decades to hone in on psychic dreaming specifically. Montague Ullman and Stanley Krippner devised methods for testing ESP during dreamingand showed high success rates. Their results suggest that dream telepathy is not that unusual, or that hard to do.
In various experiments, they had an awake ''sender " look at a piece of artwork that contained a striking scene and then send this image to a dreamer. When awakened during REM sleep and questioned about their dreams, the dreamers frequently reported the image, or aspects of it, that the sender had relayed to them. According to expectations, the hit rate due to chance would be 50%. But the cumulated results of these experiments showed a much higher success rate of 68%. (Subjects had 102 hits versus 48 misses.)
The Maimonedes experiments inspired others to look at dream telepathy. For instance, a recent experiment by Kathy Dalton and two associates at the University of Edinburgh showed significant results in a clairvoyance dream experiment that did not involve a lot of high-tech measurement. They recorded the dreams they had each night in their own homes. The next morning, their dreams matched up with video clips that a lab
