I had one student who imagined an actual inner physician complete with white coat and stethoscope as her inner guide on this exercise. The guide gave her information about her symptoms and what to do to repair herself. Although she needed to see a doctor in order to receive treatment, her body made her aware of a potential illness. Your symptoms can help you stay healthy in a couple of ways. If they're severe, then they're telling you loud and clear to get to a doctor. On the other hand, small, infrequent twinges of pain or discomfort may be early warning signs: Heed them and take the time to get in touch with your inner self. |

So far, we've talked about how the body, mind, and spirit are linked, and should be considered integral when approaching healing. But what if your physical body is doing okay? How can you improve your own emotional, mental, or spiritual stateeven if your body feels fine? |

Try the following meditation to get in touch with how good and connected you are actually capable of feeling when you open up to the possibility. You can begin this meditation in various ways. Choose one of the following: |
Go to your inner sanctuary. |
Take several deep relaxing breaths and ask for assistance from your guides. |
