In order to increase the sensitivity of their hands, some healers receive hand massages or reflexology treatments, specifically on their hands. This helps to improve their overall touch sensitivity, as well as to reduce stress and increase inner strength. |

There are many wonderful forms of healing touch and other alternative health modalities that can help you feel more fit and less stressed, both in body and mind. But you can't talk about stress busters without going back to that old favorite: meditation. Many techniques and teachers are available to help you learn how to meditate in the best way for you, so we encourage you to pursue those. Meanwhile, no matter where you are or how busy you get, you can always take a moment out to breathe. This can instantly connect you to the free-flowing, vital power that includes your intuition. |

What's Up, Doc?: Trusting Your Body |

No matter how often you see your doctor or alternative practitioner, always take care to stay in touch with your own physical condition. Your health-care providers can't feel your symptoms for you, so it's your responsibility to bring them to their attention. But first you have to become aware of the symptoms yourself. To help you do that, try the following exercise. You can tape-record and later listen to the following words, have a friend read it to you, or read it through several times yourself before trying it on your own. You may want to have some meditative music softly playing in the background. |

This also makes a good exercise for your psychic journal, particularly writing down what you receive about your symptoms. Describe everything. You may get a voice, an image, a kinesthetic impression, or even a scent. |

Don't try to analyze your experience while you're in the midst of it, but instead wait until you have quiet time later. Remember, as with many of these exercises, you may feel at first that you're just making up your responses out of thin air. But stay with it and just write down everything that occurs to you. Don't judge it. You can try to write as you do the exercise, or remember your impressions and write them down later. Here goes! |
