When I've done this exercise, I've received information as mundane as ''Go to bed earlier" and "Get more exercise." I've also received guidance about my business, such as when to shift my business to a new direction, whether or not to do more teaching and writing, how large a client list to maintain. Some of the suggestions my intuition offers make me feel a bit anxious because they indicate big changes. Yet time and again I find that when I don't act on this guidance, I start experiencing signs of stress. |

If you're not sure whether you're hearing the message correctly the first time, never fear. You'll find that intuition rarely gives you the message just once. If you miss the message at first, you'll continue to see, hear, and feel nudges from your inner guidance system directing you toward the best path. |

Stress and Other Physical Blocks to Psychic Awareness |

We've explained earlier how the energy that flows through the body, mind, and spirit is all connected and comes from the same source. Intuition is one manifestation of that source. So to keep intuition flowing and insights coming, people must keep their bodies and minds free and clear of any blocks. A major block is stress. |

Stress begins when you become tense in response to emotional upsets. Certainly an argument, insult at work, or outburst of temper can cause stress. But even minor annoyances can add up and become major sources of tension. Trying to pretend negative emotions don't exist by burying them and then acting happy doesn't work, because you usually bury them somewhere in your body. And this accumulated dumpsite later becomes the place where an illness takes shape. |
