Dr. Schulz emphasizes the point that physical symptoms of illness can actually be a blessing. They are signals from our intuitive side telling us to pay attention to an emotional situation that needs to be resolved. Schulz feels that these emotional issues need to be addressed in order to help them flow freely through the body, rather than becoming blocked in certain spots. Sounds a lot like an emotional version of how chi works, huh? |

Our bodies have an intuitive language that sends us messages in a variety of ways, including bodily sensations, emotions, dreams, visions, and symptoms of disease. We've talked in Chapter 6 about bodily sensations and emotions as a form of clairsentience, and we'll talk more about dreams and visions in later chapters. So now's our chance to explore symptoms of disease as body signals for what's really ailing usthat is, emotionally and spiritually. |

When medical intuitives give readings, they have access to the information about a client's condition. This usually includes the emotional dilemmas that are connected to the physical difficulty. Depending on how he or she receives the information, each medical intuitive intakes the information differently. For example, Mona Lisa Schulz sees a more literal picture of the affected spot as it would look in the interior of the patient's body. Modern medical intuitive Caroline Myss, on the other hand, sees a light, or energy, surrounding the patient, with darker areas that mark trouble spots. |
