psychiatrist Stanislov Grof has developed a method that combines breathing and meditation in a new way. Called holotropic breathwork, it helps individuals enter an unordinary state of consciousness for psychic healing by using a combination of evocative music, accelerated breathing, energy work, and mandala drawing. Aspects of this meditation method involve exploration of the inner self, transpersonal dimensions, and spiritual opening. |

Opening Up to Your Guides |

I believe that everyone is born with a guide who is with them throughout their lives. Some people have additional guides who come to help them in a specific lesson they need to learn or with a certain project they want to accomplish. |

More and more people report having guides, and some feel confident that they have more than one guide at a time. There are many different kinds of guides. They are here to help people, and are available when people ask for help. People can perceive their guides in various ways. Some people describe their guides as angels. Others experience their guides as an energy or a light, or even a warm, loving feeling. They don't always hear words or see a vision, but get a feeling. |

Guides are your friends. They are here to love, support, and encourage you. They are wise teachers, and they often give you information through your intuition. At first, guide-provided intuition doesn't feel much different from other types of information you receive. But once you learn to recognize it, you can easily see when you're receiving extra special insight. In addition to offering information for spiritual growth and healing, guides provide information about your creative endeavors, such as music, art, and even writing. |

When I was a small child, I discovered my guide sitting at the foot of my bed one night. She seemed very real to me and it puzzled me that other people didn't see her as I did. She appeared as a beautiful woman in a white robe. At my young age I simply referred to her as ''the lady." She was always very comforting. I felt, and feel, profound peace whenever she is with me. I didn't so much hear her talk as I felt her presence and still do. I frequently ask her for insight about clients as I do my readings and for information about projects that I'm working on. |
