Tarot's High Priestess (key 2) is a card of psychic
intuition.
Intuiting the Cards
Here's an exercise to intuit the cards. Hold a card, any card, in front of you, before you read a book on the Tarot (well, okay, so maybe it's too late for that). What do you see and what feeling do you get from the picture on that Tarot card? Write it down or just remember it. Then go to the book and see how close your feelings were to the picture and its symbolism.
Take a second card and do the same: Look at the card and see and feel what's there for you. Arlene does this exercise every week, and sometimes every other day, using three different Tarot cards, one at a time, to test her intuitive side. She doesn't let the book meanings of the cards interfere with how she herself feels about themand neither should you. The next best exercise for intuiting the Tarot is to pick a card out of the deck face downdon't look at itand then write on a piece of paper what you think or feel is on the face side of the card. No cheating! Don't peek at the card or turn it over before you've written what you feel you see there.
After you've written down what you're feeling, turn the card over and see how close you came to its meanings. You will begin feeling each card the more you do this exercise (we suggest you do it every day for seven days in a row). Working in this manner over a period of time will open you up to your own intuitive powers.
