When we Tarot readers know it's your first time, we like to make sure the reading's a good one, as well as an introduction to what the Tarot (or any metaphysical tool) is. And we don't want to overwhelm you. When you're a first-timer, we think it's nice to do a reading that gives a basic overview of your life now, beginning in the present tense, in other words. Then we like to move on to either future conditions or things that could possibly happen.

After we've gone over the present and the future, we like to talk a little about the past, which helps you know we're good at what we do. Hey, you may ask. How'd you know that? Hey, we'll answer. It's in the cards.
A good reading leaves you both enlightened and personally empowered. You come away feeling that things you know have been validated, while at the same time, you've become aware of future possibilities and conditions. A good reading should make you feel whole, or complete at some level.
How to Choose a Tarot Reader
Most people find their Tarot readers through word of mouth, going on the recommendation of a close friend or family member. Because a Tarot reader can and will get to the heart of what's going on around you, most people are understandably a little cautious about whom they trustand so turn to those they do trust to find the right reader for them.

While collectively we humans may seem interested in the gory details provided by the mass media, when we consult someone privately about the future, what we really want to know is the truthand how to handle that truth. When it comes to a Tarot reader, then, we all want someone who will help us make progress in our lives.
So ask around. Check out the bulletin boards in your local metaphysical bookstoreand then ask the people working there about the readers who've posted their notices. Tarot's an instinctive artand you'll instinctively know when you've found the right Tarot reader.
