Go ahead, take that
Wand. Its power
belongs to you.
Wands represent our ability to dive into our work world, our ambition, growth, and development. These are the cards of our enthusiasm for life and our enthusiasm for living it.
Wands were originally called staffs, which were used to carry fires at night. Wands were on fire to bring light into wherever the darkness was, and so are also a symbol of authority or personal power.

Wands are associated with the element of fire, and are made out of green wood that still has a few twigs, which represents growth. In the Minor Arcana cards, Wands are used for everything from clubs for fighting, to staffs to carry victors' crowns, to walking sticks to lean on. With this in mind, it's easy to see that the position that Wands take within a reading will tell us whether they'll be used for a constructive or destructive outcome.
Wands are associated with the world of creation and ideas, with manifesting something to make it realjust like a magic wand. Poofit appears! Wands are helping us create this bookand Wands are helping you use it for good purpose.
Each Tarot suit has a corresponding astrological sign and season. On the first day of spring, the Sun enters Aries, a fire sign, and so Wands represent the season of spring. With their Aries nature, Wands represent enterprise, growth, and new beginnings.
