One of today's best-known police psychics is Dorothy Allison. One of her successful predictions led police to find a body encased in cement near Niagara Falls. She predicted that in a reservoir near the falls they would find a dismembered body encased in cement. The police did indeed discover a body, although it was not the one they were looking for. |

Another police psychic received mental images of rectangles arranged in a certain format, which she sketched for police. Once the culprit was caught, the police discovered that the rectangles marked the exact placement of where the murderer had buried his victims beneath his house. The murderer was John Wayne Gacy, one of the most prolific serial killers of our time. |

Individuals who have unique insights into a person's body and his or her need for healing are referred to as medical intuitives. These people may either diagnose a condition or offer suggestions for a remedy. Medical intuitives do not consider themselves gods or miracle workers. Instead, they are conduits for passing along information about healing that comes from beyond themselves. Although not all medical intuitives heal specific conditions, some do. These intuitives are called psychic healers. |

One of today's most popular medical intuitives is Caroline Myss, who can determine a person's physical weak spots by calling up what she refers to as their files and reading them. Once she makes her clients aware of the problem spot, she provides suggestions for how to eliminate the emotional or spiritual cause of the symptom. In other words, she offers ways that they can change their lives to improve their health. Although she no longer works with individual clients, she continues to help others learn the intricacies involved in being a medical intuitive. |

Individual medical intuitives work in many different waysthey certainly are not all alike. Some may sense where a person has a problem by experiencing the symptom in the same spot in their own bodies. Other medical intuitives use touch to diagnose a condition, while others use the power of the mind from a distance. We will discuss psychic helping and healing practices in greater detail in Part 3. |
