11. When you are ready to leave, you walk outside the Hall. You see your light-filled bubble, like a chariot, is awaiting you. You step inside and are transported back to your Inner Sanctuary. |

12. Rest here for a moment and reflect on all that you have seen, felt, and heard. If you have a guide that works with you in your sanctuary, ask him or her to be present to help you process the information or to sit quietly beside you and send you light. |

13. When you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and come back to the room. |

This journey to the Akashic records is a very personal meditation. It enables you to directly access information from your own higher mind. You can go there whenever you want to understand how specific issues in your life fit into the grander scheme of things. But when it comes to someone else, you may not be able to read the book with that person's name on it. You'll want to develop a separate set of skills for accessing someone else's information. |

We have mentioned several times that when you receive intuitive information you often feel that you are making it up. I have heard many of my students tell me the followingjust before they have a brilliant, highly accurate psychic perception: |
''I don't know how to do this." |
"You can't just make it up and claim it's intuition." |
"This doesn't make sense." |
"This is really stupid, but . . ." |
"How can anyone know this?" |
You may feel or believe any or all of the above, but try to have fun with these exercises. Play at them. Loosen up and give it a try. It's really the only way to learn. |

Here are some steps to help you get started doing a reading for someone else. Before-hand, make sure you both feel comfortable enough around each other. Ask the person ahead of time what he is interested in learning. You'll do best when you have the right frame of mind: focused relaxation. |

1. Quiet your mind. Take a few deep breaths. Let go of any worries. You may find it helpful to do one of the relaxation exercises we described earlier in the book. Some people do the exercise under the "Inner Sanctuary" section in Chapter 8 before giving a reading. |

2. Focus your attention. Concentrate. |
