But that may not be all: You might also be able to use this powerthe all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipresent force within you and throughout the universefor insight into, and influence over, events outside of yourself. We call this power extrasensory perception, and that's what we'll talk about in this chapter. |

As defined in Chapter 1, ESP stands for extrasensory perception. The "extra" refers to the ability to receive or send information without using your normal five senses of sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. It involves knowledge that comes via a nonrational pathway. |
