You may not have received answers immediately, and you probably don't know yet whether they are right for you or not. But keep your eyes peeled, because you're sure to be getting some answers soonand probably in some unexpected ways!
A Willingness to Be Wrong
Whether you're a total beginner at developing your psychic awareness or an experienced pro, you probably already know that there's always something new to learn. And anything new always involves a certain amount of risk. When opening up your psychic insight, the risk may feel greater because there's nothing tangible or visible to confirm your impressions. But that doesn't mean you're alone.
In my ''Developing Your Intuition" workshops, I use this exercise to help people discover how much they really know, after all: I have each person sit with a partner they don't know. I ask them to look at each other, and then use their psychic abilities to access information about their partners. Part of this partner exercise is to see what you receive psychically about your partner's work, career, and interest.
After I introduce the exercise I always hear at least one person in my class moan, "I can't do this. Everyone else can. I can't I don't know how." I ask them to be willing to be wrong. If they feel like they are making up the information, so be it. This is intended to be a practice exercise to help them develop a skill. Sometimes people can gain just as much knowledge from how they received wrong information than they can from receiving correct information.
I had one student who started complaining that she "wasn't getting anything" about her partner. I asked her to make something up, to just pretend to be psychic. She exclaimed, "Bees! Bees! I just get bees!" I looked over at her partner who sat there quietly with his mouth agape. He stared at her and finally stammered, "I run an apiary." (In case you didn't knowand who would?an apiary is a bee farm.)
