That is, that the conscious mind filters OUT much more information than it actually "processes". And it does this for a good reason, without this filter we would be unable to function. There is simply so much information entering our senses at any one time, that if we were to process it, it would paralyse us. Autistics suffer this fate to a certain degree. This is good news from another point of view. Often it means that the information we need to be wealthy, healthy and successful is entering our mind through our senses every single day. We have simply filtered this information out.!! Have you ever thought about a certain type of car, perhaps with a view to buying it, or even just with curiousity about it? And even though you really didn't see that car about much before, as soon as you started thinking about it, you began to see that car everywhere? I know once I read about the Porche Boxster. And I thought to myself, "Gee, you hardly ever see those in Sydney." and in the next two days on the road, I saw at least 7 or 8 of them! You are probably thinking "Yes, but I see cars all the time, I don't see Wealth, Health and Success all the time.!" and I say that you do. There is nothing hidden in this world. You recieve all the information you will ever need, every day of your life. You simply need to open one of your mind's filters to make the information available to you. But how do you open those filters? Ah, that is a very good question. A very good question indeed. In order to open a filter in your mind, you need to ask your mind questions. And even more importantly, you need to ask your mind specific questions. When you ask your mind a question, it will set processes in motion that will bring the answer to you. Does that sound like a statement of faith? Can I prove that the above statement is true? Yes I can. But more importantly, can YOU? Yes, simply ask your mind a question. Ask it gently, with a genuine curiosity. The more curious you are, the faster your mind will get to work. Ask the question at least once a day, and once asked, put it out of your mind and go about your daily business. Then once the answer comes, make sure you remember it, or act on it. If you don't, your mind will think that you are not serious about recieving information, and will be reluctant to help you in the future. Again, ask specific questions, with as much detail as you can think of. "How can I make more money?" is not a specific question. There are THOUSANDS of ways to make more money, and if you ask this question, your mind will open the filter to let all of them in. Thus overwhelming you with information, which will simply lead to confusion and frustration. A specific question would be, "How can I earn more money in my current job?" or "How can I make money growing plants in my backyard?" or "How can I make money selling information on the internet?" (still not specific enough, what TYPE of information) How about "How can I make money selling information about raising show birds on the internet?" The same goes for health and success. Ask yourself specific questions, and your mind will provide you with an answer. Or, it is more accurate to say, that your mind will stop filtering the answer out of the information that you recieve each day. Which is not to say that you will LIKE the answer you recieve. Everything has a price, and sometimes we are not willing to pay the price. But the beauty of the system is, you can always ask another, more specific question, with exactly the conditions you require. Even though this section is short, I cannot over-emphasise it's importance. Once you understood this concept, your wealth, health and success will take off.
