Race entry based on first come, first serve basis

Car Restrictions:
Team Mustang – 2005 GT or 2000 Cobra R
Team Camaro – 2002 35th Anniv SS or 2010 SS
Car will be upgraded to A class
Car must be RWD
Car must contain a racing roll cage
Body Modification allowed (No Forza aero permitted however)
All other upgrades allowed
Multiple tuning setups allowed
All driving assists are permitted but please use your normal assist levels (new driver friendly)

Car Livery:
All cars must have a number plate with a simple or detailed livery
All cars must have the WATSeries sticker (available on my SF for free right now[GT: MAns44])
Team Mustang cars must have a predominantly BLACK livery for easy team identification on the track
Team Camaro Cars must have a predominantly RED livery

Team Scoring Format:
Scores will be calculated as a team score after each race. Points are awarded for the finishing place of each team member (in the case of a 3v3 race, 1st place receives 6 points for the team, 2nd receives 5 pts, and 6th receives 1 pt). Team scores will be totaled at the completion of the series to determine the winning team.

Dates and Tracks:
Races will be held sometime in February (probably between the 5th and 12th). Race date and tracks will be announced sometime soon after the CCC. The date will be determined by participant availability to make sure we have full teams. Inexperienced drivers are more than welcome; we will just try to have you on separate teams so please identify yourself as such if you would like to join this event. To join, post your GT, your team, car (if you have decided), and car #.

Using a unique IP for the xbox has worked for the port forwarding, unlike the automatice IP.

I'm now not getting a connection warning concerning about being able to connect to multiplayer, when I test the connection.

As of right now we have 1 open spot on Team Camaro 2 and 1-2 open spots on Team Mustang 2 (2 open spots if DatElantra cannot participate as the WATS is after Feb 12).
One other thing, please make sure your car is easily identifiable to your team color. Don't have half of your car black if you team color is something else. We want to make the team cars easily identifiable because whether a close car is a teammate or not will influence racing

Since I created a second February event this month, I was brain storming today about organizing another secondary event for March (I think people like having 2 versus 1 event per month). One of my 5-6 ideas is the Heavy Nuts Team Series. This series would be A or S class with the one restriction being a weight minimum. Points are awarded to each team by finishing places (like in the WATS), however brutal/dirty/demolition style driving is the idea. So basically, the goal of your car would be to dish out pain/handle collisions well, but also be able to put down decent laps when you're not in traffic because finishing place is important. Simulation damage would be turned off so people could actually finish. This could also be an individual (instead of team) event. Outrageous liveries would be required.

I liked Corvettes a bit, since they were the American equivalent of Ferrari. In that they were sleek, powerful fast, but they weren't bright fucking read or snotty and prissy. But the Viper was all of that to '11. It was that brutally powerful car that you wondered how it stayed on the road, but it was so sleek and tamed that it just flew down tracks. It was American muscle that was tamable, and not just drivable, but really fucking fast.

You can either buy the season pass (gives you all DLC) a single pack, or a single car. I think there are 2 cars in every pack that cannot be purchased individually, the only come as part of the whole pack. Yes, these are purschased using Xbox live points.
Working through career mode with the cars they gift you at each driver level helps you save money. Another money saver is that car companies that you have level 4 (or higher) affinity with do not charge you for upgrades (minus wheels and body kits i think). Money gainers are career mode and rivals mode. In rivals mode, go to Select Rival,Near Me, and choose the rival right above you. Beat that rival by only a little bit and you will be able to use that one rival event to rack up lots of dosh when you repeat this process, especially when the bounty (prize money) gets higher. Shorter rivals events will allow you to make money faster by beating more rivals in less time (Tsukuba short lap takes about a minute but a Fujimi Kaido Minute takes about 10 minutes).

A couple interesting ideas for challenges if you want 'em...

Dirt rally:
Similar shit to tarmac (rally = road legal so no slicks or whatever) must have cage etc bla bla bla.

The outside of sedona club is a good stage, just get off the dirt after the tarmac strip before the slowdown zone, and back on again before the start line.

There's a lot of possibilities with dirt 'stages'. start on the outside, 180, back on the inside, 180, to finish on tarmac (or whatever).

Real world car challenge:
A real world budget. Every part you install on the car must be found on ebay or craigslist or wherever, and the money added up. All parts must be accounted for. Car must be roadworthy and available to buy IRL. Same with parts. You get the idea.

Alright, tested all 4 of the cars around Laguna Seca and I have the times

Corvette C6 Z06 - 1:30.822
'99 Viper ACR - 1:30.952

All haven't been tuned, just thrown some parts on, but they have been modified in the same way.

They're all remarkably similar stats wise - all have 6.7 handling, all have roughly the same power (except the '99 Viper, it has 40bhp more), all weigh within 2500lbs-2900lbs and they all feel roughly the same to drive.

Going to build an 08' Viper and pit it against my ZR1.

It does get started in a garage and get taken out early on a Saturday morning to my favorite twisty roads will gentle rolling hills. It is also very track worthy for whenever I need it to be. After seeing civic after focus after Taurus, seeing cars like this bring car lovers the joy and excitement of being a child, if only for a few seconds. Just letting you guys know, after WATS and Rallyan I'm planning some GS/ST racing ( A600 and B500 ) racing probably in March after that DLC pack comes out ( March 11 ).

After watching Speed for the past week I thought we could even do sort of a 48 hour challenge ( shortened to about an hour ). It would consist of two teams of 2 or 3 building a cheaper car. One person for the tuning/driving and the other for painting it.

For example, we spend some time getting teams ready, then, there will be a time when the post will be announced as to what car the teams will be doing. Once it is posted what car the two teams will need to work on, there will be one hour to do everything you can to it. After that hour is up, the two drivers will race against each other to see who tuned the car better. Pictures will be taken in the race and posted to the thread and the winner will be based off who won the race and voting on the design in the thread.

Just throwing that out there. Any ideas?
