lonely planet travel guides Anonymous
hey mates

i'm looking to get my hands on scans of lonely planet travel guides.

have scoured torrent sites and rapid search, but got very little.

help a fellow traveler out ... these things are copied in most countries, so surely the scans or pdfs have got to be out there somewhere.

thanks anon.

Why dont you just buy one for the actual country your going to? Your not bringing your bloody electronic baby (laptop) with you aren't you? It's just 20 fucking dollars. Goto your bookstore, get the 7 different brands of guidebooks for your destination and choose the one that you think looks coolest (or gets the highest ratings on amazon). Also get the newest one too.

Also if your not sure where you want to go, just go to the bookstore, take a few interesting places and read up on them.

Lonely planet are shitty. The history summaries and language tips are usually decent, but most travel, maps, food and accommodation advice is either wrong or outdated.

You're better off buying a specific, detailed guide to the country, imho. Or just ask locals/find stuff from tourist info when you get there.

1) Borrow travel guides from your local library
2) Read them, then buy ones for countries you found interesting from a bookstore
3) ????
4) Profit!
