I've got a weeks vacation coming up, and am torn between going to Chicago or New Orleans. I'll be taking the train, and will be passing through Chicago anyways if I go down to NOLA. I've got places to stay at both places, for free, so that's not an issue.
I'm leaning more towards NOLA at this point, since Chi-town will be cold as fuck - and I'm sick of the snow.
What does /trv/ think? And any recommendations on what I should do when I get there (in either place)? I've been to NOLA and Chicago quite a bit, so I'm looking for some new stuff.

Pic fully related.

Nawlinsfag here. You said you've been to NO a bit, so I'm assuming you've done all the touristy things like the zoo and aquarium. I'm also assuming you know that New Orleans isn't like a lot of other large cities that have shit tons of things to do. We've got nice restaurants and bars, shopping in the French Quarter(if you've never been to the French market, go NAO.), and lots of pretty things to look at, but that's about it. Take in a show at the Blues Room or see what's playing at the IMAX. Do some shopping, ride the trolleys, and stay off the east bank.

Yeah, I've been there quite a bit. The last time I was there was over Christmas - stayed there for most of December, and the first part of January. I actually haven't done the "touristy" sorts of things - like the horse drawn carriage talking tours, or the haunted tours or any of that shit. I usually stay at Deming, with a friend, so I'm not far from the Quarter at all when I go down there. Been uptown quite a bit too. Trolleys - done that. Seen Anne Rices house quite a few times too. The last time I was there, nothing special was playing at IMAX - I walked down to the River and wandered there for a while on quite a few days. Been to the Market a zillion times, as well as du Monde and all that... Hell, it got to the point where I wandered down to the Quarter for New Years Eve, but ended up just walking away from Bourbon.
Just wanted to know if there was anything else I haven't been to yet.
