So does anybody in /trv/ do any urban exploration?

Yes, but I always forget to take my camera along. I live in Cincinnati Ohio, and work in Newport Kentucky, so after work at like 2 or 3 am I would walk across the bridge and explore downtown until the bus came. I traveled into a ton of parking garages, and found myself in a closed mall accidentally once.

I was thinking more along the lines of steam tunnels that almost all big cities in North America have, or maybe like abandonded buildings, or constructions sites. Stuff that I suppose is technically illegal, but in the jaywalking sort of way.

It sounds like the shit and I'd love to go.

this piques my interest. explain more.

what are these steam tunnels and where might they be found?

i've gotten bored exploring the surface streets around here. san jose is a wide city, but there's not much to do.

I wish.

I've been in a few warehouses before and a creepy-ass old factory type thing in Regina. That's all. Not that great for urban ex. here.

Actually, I take that back. It really depends on where you are and the person who catches you *IF* you get caught. For example, if a bored security guard catches you at a construction site, you might get a "Don't come here again." Or the guy may call the cops.

San Jose eh? A quick google check tells me that your city has an old bomb shelter network. As I don't live anywhere near that city, I can't tell you any specifics, so I'll need to ask you the check the internets.

you're shitting me. what terms did you use? i'm not finding it. about to go to sleep, so that affects my search skills, but still....

Well, stock terms are usually things like "urban exploration", "steam tunnels", "underground network", "bunkers" and variations and combinations of those terms. And probably "San Jose" for you too, but you can also learn a lot just from reading about stuff in other cities, so you know what to look for in your particular city.

>>To be considered for membership--please be over 21, have a website or online portfolio of your photography, and list your experience, website, and camera preferences in your profile with a recent picture of yourself. We meet on Sundays and go on trips about every two weeks. Our mascot is a Gnome with awesome roof anchor skills. :) See ya in the streets!

FUCK THAT SHIT.

I'll bet my urban exploration group will want to know which hand I masturbate with, too.
