hey /trv/

im sure some if not a lot of you have been to nomad4ever.com and know about that guys lifestyle and how he did it all.

i've been reading a lot of what he wrote and its all how i feel put he put what i want to do into a plan that he proved can work, so i got really excited.

thing is, he's all about doing it in asia and it makes sense with usd going a lot farther there, but i'm not as interested in thailand and the philipines as i am in europe. i would love to do what he does but in like the eastern european countries. what would be the best countries to try to do it in? is it feasible?

thanks

Considering most of us probably haven`t been to nomad4ever.com, it would be wise to explain the premise.

It depends, do you have other sources of income like he does?

A few things to remember:
1) eastern europe isn't as set up for tourism as asia, so you won't have the resources he does
2) many visas in europe only allow you to spend 90 days in a country every 180 days (although I'm not sure about many of the eastern countries)
3) there's a lot less to do in eastern europe from a leisure point of view

I think it can be done, but you'd have to live a more humble existence than you would in asia.

im not looking so much for tourism as i am for adventure and an alternative life to the one most people live. i don't require or want a lot of the things people work so hard to get so i don't see a reason to work that hard as the rewards are not worth it. i think i've ruled out europe as a permanent place, but i will deffinetly make sure to venture through there during my travels at least once.
what other problems might i endure? and what will burn the biggest hole in my pocket?

i would do a lot of camping out so housing won't be much of a problem. one thing that i recently thought of is to get a horse and not have to pay for planes, trains, ect. how realistic is that? i would be like a cowboy/knight, only id be venturing through the asian continent and hopefully through some of the eastern european countries.

its what i want to do. what do you guys think? what else do i need to consider?

It should be possible but you will likely need to rent rooms on a monthly basis to get low prices. For some reason real hotels are really expensive (at least in east doucheland and poland). Another way to do it would be to get a small boat big enough to sleep on and cook in. Motor, sail or row on the canals. Bread food and beer are pretty reasonable.

Its been years since I have been there so I could be totally wrong.

helpx.net will enable you to stay in some parts of eastern europe. (but you have to work for food and board).
