US $100. Just avoid the big/metropolitan cities like Jakarta, Kuala Lupur and Singapore.

Absolutely depends on where you go and what you want to do. If you live in the country, you could get by on $200 US a month. In Bankok or Singapore you could blow that in a day.

I'm in Indonesia right now, here's what I got:
- if you're a local you can live with less than $$150 per month
- if you're foreigner you will spend more than $$300 per month (they tend to increase prices for unknowing foreigner)
- if you have a house you can live below $$100 per month (with this amount you can rent a room for $30 a month and will still have $70 available for food and other stuffs)
- You can buy food for less than half a dollar. DOn't expect much hygiene tho.

Philippines. You can't get any cheaper than Philippines. People will treat you like a god in that country. Really. I spent 3 months there and it was a blast. Go to Boracay or some beach. It's fucking awesome. Just ignore the pollution in Manila though, at least it's not as dirty as China (I fucking hate that place except for the important parts).
