So, we've all heard of those countries whose economies are so shitty that you can go over there with a couple hundred bucks and live like a king for a month.

What are the safest/least crappy countries for doing this?
>> Anonymous
Afghanistan.
>> Anonymous
I'd look into Indonesia. I had a professor who lived over there for several years and was able to hire a small team of housekeepers. She'd give them all periodic bonuses of a few hundred bucks apiece. One day she got a warning from the local government telling her to stop doing that because her housekeepers were buying all kinds of shit and fucking up the economy.

Brazil is nice, if you stay outside the cities.
Argentina, too, espeically with the way their economy has taken a shit.
>> Anonymous
Don't go to any of those countries if that's your reason.
>> Anonymous
HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THE HORRORS OF THE OP'S PICTURE!?

Also I hear the same about places in Central America, if you like that kinda place.

Argintena is NOT SHITTY, SHUT THE FUCK UP.
>> Anonymous
Thailand, seriously. You can have an entire meal with everything you want for about 1 US dollar.
>> Anonymous
Argentina/Brezil.

Economy is shit, it's not a dangerous place (just leave your valuables at home), and well enjoy.

Zimbabwe? But oh yeah, Africa.

Lebanon? If you hide in the north maybe...
>> Anonymous
Thailand. Safe, very cheap, full of prostitutes and ladyboys.

And to reply to some posts here:

1. Afghanistan is too dangerous.

2. Brazil is a shithole and fucking expensive.

3. Argentina is developed and safe but it's getting expensive.

4. Indonesia may be a nice alternative to Thailand, but more dangerous and more muslim.

5. Central America fucking sucks, the only exception being Costa Rica. Also dangerous and shitty.

I've been to all these destinations except Indonesia and Afghanistan. Thailand and Brazil have the CP plus to them, you can fuck a poor loli in there and I can assure you nobody will give a shit. This is wrong and you should feel bad, though!

Brazil is only expensive if you don't know what you're doing.

Argentinafag here. Every tourist I meet tells me the best thing about this country is how cheap everything is. That, and the fact that we aren't a hellhole should be enough to choose this country, I guess.

Fuck you. No seriously, for example 800 dollars is about 600*2.2, 1760 PLN. About the lowest wage for a skilled worker. So maybe if you want to live in piss poor hotels and party, that might come in handy.

tldr, HAHA at your pathetic currency!

Thailand isn't as good as it used to be.. Also you CAN live on not much cash, but you won't have much fun doing it... Drink is now pretty expensive, compared to what it was, so being drunk all the time is pricey.

There are the hippie types with braided hair and mummy and daddy's money in the bank doing the 'travelling' thing, but seriously - you have to spend the money to 'live like a king'

Last trip I went for 2 weeks and spent £3000 ($6000) all in. (economy flights, bargain hotel)

during new years the city becomes so crowded with tourists that in copacabana, ipanema and leblon you're more likely to hear people speaking english than portuguese.

new years is a great party, if you like crowds you should be fine. you should watch out for obvious tourist traps. demand that the cab drivers turn on the taximeter, never pay more than 2,50 reais for a beer in a can. beer on tap may vary in price, but they won't try to steal from you in restaurants.

if you want prostitutes you should go to "Help!", its a great nightclub for tourists by copacabana beach. the governor is trying to close down the place to build a museum, but it will probably still be open by the end of the year. the whores there are expensive, but atleast you'll have no risk of catching a trap or being conned out of your money.

if you want to save money you shuld stay at a hostel or something. the hotels by the beach are extremely expensive.

there are probably more tips i could include but i can't remember now.

Philippines. You can live in a gated community with armed guards for very little.

Haha, moving to Zimbabwe as a white?

What about Turkey? Fairly liberal and developed nation but, from what I've heard, you can get by on very little money.

Uh, what? Just recently some woman was imprisoned for holding a kurdish speech in public.

The high court is trying to ban the elected government from politics.

Islamic mobs destroy churches and synagogs. Religious minorities are followed, armenian christians in particular.

Turkey is one shithole and it's getting worse by the day, with the high court backed by the army going against the islamic government.

>>24163
>Mugabe loves the white man.
I hope this is sarcasm. The good old Robbie is one of the old guard - ie. the guys who overthrew Rhodesia, a hater of whites with a passion.

>Turkey is one shithole
True, but let's check your reasoning...
>Just recently some woman was imprisoned for holding a kurdish speech in public.
She wasn't imprisoned for holding a kurdish speech, she was arrested for holding a speech which glorified the leader of the kurdish terrorist organization.

>Islamic mobs destroy churches and synagogs.
facepalm.png

>Religious minorities are followed, armenian christians in particular.
No
in b4 a retard throws in the assassination of Hrant Dink as "proof" of minorities being followed.

So, I congratulate you for managing to get the right conclusion even though you're completely oblivious about what the fuck is going on in the aforementioned piece of land.

And before I can reply, the guy's got it.

Also, seriously? No shit Turkey is going to be just slightly anti-Kurdish.

And yes, you sort of almost identified sarcasm. Mugabe hates whites and oppresses white citizens in his country.

Iran. This might sound like a joke, but it's a serious suggestion. Read any guide book. Violence against tourists is virtually unheard of, they have arguably the best hospitality in the world, and you can eat well for 60 cents.

Even American tourists are welcome there. They draw an emphatic distinction between you and your government, and are keen to make a good impression.

Read up on it. You'll be surprised.
