Working and living in Australia and/or New Zealand Anonymous
Hai /trv/,

I'm a Dutch dude and I have to interview an Australian or New Zealand citizen for a school course, I'll be asking questions about living in Australia/New Zealand and that sorta stuff.

My dream is to live and work in Australia or New Zealand for a few years after I've graduated from architectural engineering. Even better if I could study abroad or get an internship, so hit me up on msn if you don't mind answering some questions or have some tips.

General discussion about Australia and New Zealand encouraged!

Avoid these nasty fuckers. Deadliest thing to humans (and get this: ONLY to humans) on the planet Earth.

Born in NZ, lived in Aus-failia for a long time too.
Australia: Don't touch the insects. Or the lizards, reptiles or fish. Just don't touch anything that's NOT domesticated, because it can probably kill you.
NZ wildlife is pretty innocuous though.
Both countries, tipping is frowned upon, it's like saying 'you look like you need it' and both countries have an intense work ethic.
Ask away, i'm a NZ citizen and an australian permanant resident.

I'm an american and I visited NZ three or four years ago, one of the best vacations I've ever been on. Everyone was friendly, the scenery was amazing, and the food was delicious. I was surprised that the Indian food was so good, but NZ is a lot closer to india than the us.
