Hey /trv/llers, question.

I'm trying to develop a long term plan for myself. Am 18 years old, 1st in Uni, Public Policy/Econ major. Have US and Costa Rican passports. By the time a graduate, i expect to at least be proficient, if not nearly-fluent in Spanish. I also have numerous [family] connections in Costa Rica.

I am preparing a way out of this place [America] because it looks like shit's going to go down, [I'm seeing serious problems in the next 10-15 years]. I was hoping to make it into Europe, but should i take the loss and work my way into Central/South America? What country do you suggest, reasons why/why not, and the potential for the making of a career.

Like what? Pogroms against Latinos?

I'm Costa Rican, but im Black, if that makes any sense. 5-6 generations ago my ancestors were in Jamaica. So the worsening opinions towards latinos dont affect me, lol. Athough, now i have Sharpton 'speaking' for me...

damn...

Are you talking about social issues, or economic issues?

Both and neither. I dont know exactly what i fear, but i feel that something has to break eventually and I need a Plan B [or be away when it happens finally].

but i dont want to start a discussion on America. What things can i do to make myself more eligible to apply for residency in another country? And in what country

Ugh, look kiddo, you're young, and by default prone to making rash conclusions about the world. Not saying there aren't reasons to leave America, but a gut feeling is a REALLY lousy basis for one to make plans to emigrate.

Gut feelings were enough to make him do things. Like murder lots of people.

Thanks to your [post], I will now start surrounding [words] in square brackets.

op here.

I have that typing in [square brackets] is much more efficient than hitting two buttons for parenthesis

As for the reasons, i have others, but thats not the point. What do you ppl recommend?
