Oh my god, I'm leaving this up to 4chan.

I have the oppprtunity to go to India this summer for around 2-3 weeks with National Geographic.

Alternately, I could stay home the entire summer (I'm finally of age to get a summer job, spend time with my friends, etc.)

Usually I get shipped out to the middle of nowhere, PA. I have not spent a summer at home in six years.

What would /trv/ do?

In India? With National Geographic? Hell yeah he will, he'll spend the whole time fapping to naked tribals.

Are you fucking DENSE? Of course, do it now. You'll be happy you did. It'll be twelve times better than some shitty overpriced summer camp.

Seriously, were you expecting anyone to advise against it? If you want 4chan to reaffirm your reservations, ask /g/, they're afraid of leaving the basement.

Do it faggot!

I'm not even interested in India and I still think you should do it.

DO IT FAGGOT! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ASKING!? GO TO INDIA OMFG

Dude, India is a 3rd world country that literally stinks like shit and is really, really humid ALL THE FUCKING TIME

Plus it's.overcrowded, they have no hygiene and the people are ugly & the language sounds like shit. Food is very good though.

So if you can stand having explosive diarrhea, the smell of shit in the air & being constantly surrounded by poor people begging you for money then go.

If you go to India, do your family and friends a favour when they inquire about the country by saying something OTHER than OH WELL THERE'S A LOT OF POVERTY, BIG CLASS GAP LOL

you illustrate the classic seppo mentality of drastically simplifying foreign countries

India in just about every sense of the word BIG is far bigger than the US

India is a 3rd world country with a population of 1.12 billion a huge chunk of which are poor and dirty

I wouldn't go there even if you paid me.

As an Indian raised in Canada/US, forced to go to India with my parents on summer vacations, I would say "do it, absolutely." But, be prepared for > 120 F weather, regular electricity blackouts that last for hours during the hottest parts of the day, and likely an episode of terrible gastroenteritis despite your best hygienic techniques.

In the past 10 years, India has gotten incredibly westernized thanks to MTV and other western corporations...personally, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, be prepared to see a lot of girls wearing skimpy clothing for example. Also, most people there -should- be able to speak english, now, whereas when I was last there ~15 years ago, no one could speak a damn bit of english.

Do it. Even if you can't stand the filth and poverty it'll be an experience, and you'll know not to again, whereas if you give it a miss you won't know what shit you could've missed out on.

Out of interest, why have you been offered the trip?

Indian street food is godly win. I wouldn't worry about the food poisoning; give your body a couple of days to adjust to the local food, and you'll be fine after that.

Unless you're one of those people with weak stomachs, who for example gets sick eating at Americanized Chinese restaurants.

u crazy ? go to india
