I'm in Seoul now, been here a month. I'm an English teacher living in Apgujeong.

Any tips on how to get the most out of this city? I don't really drink.

Seoul? Ew. Y'know, I heard a story about a guy who went to work there, got so depressed he fell into drug dealing in an attempt to get out of there and spent two to three years in prison.

Honestly, you probably just made a bad move picking Seoul to teach in.

Because Koreans are actively interested in meeting people who are just like them. Right?

Say, you look familiar. Your last name doesn't happen to be Gruber, does it?

I posted a thread but i had no helpful replies...

how do you teach english there? i'm planning to go to korea this summer or something and teach english, but i'm not sure what to teach and what age group should i teach.

also, you said you were staying in Seoul but Sorak mountains or GTFO...best mountain to go, esp since it's fall now, it'll be one of the greatest sights to see in Korea. bloody red leaves all around. at least I enjoyed it while i lived there 10 years ago. also wouldn't take that long to get there and back imo.
