Well, I'll make sure to check those places out. I'm actually in Kirkland, which is a nice area just outside of Seattle and near Belmont, but regardless the whole "city" aspect of it is lacking compared to the bay area, so I was a little less impressed. I'll try to focus on getting out and enjoying the scenery more, but to be honest I'm just the kind of guy who prefers to be around society and buildings, technology, etc... more than trees and trails. I'm not a basement dweller, but hopefully you get the idea.
Does anyone know if it's generally safe just to go walking around in Seattle, or if there are dangerous neighborhoods or anything like that about which I should be careful? Obviously it's a city so there is some danger, but is any particular place particularly more dangerous than normal?
