So I'm going abroad for six months, /tv/, and discovered that I'm going to be using public transportation to get from the airport I'm landing at to my new apartment overseas. The instructions I was given "highly recommends" (i.e. requires me) to somehow ship my luggage to my apartment so I won't be lugging all of it with me on a public subway.

What are some good international luggage shipping companies, and what are their rates for a relatively large suitcase?

This reminds me of when I was picking up my luggage after a flight and there were some boxes with people's addresses on them going round the belt. Turns out you can just dump boxes on commercial passenger planes and they take them to the destination. This was in London.

OP: Just how much shit are you taking?

OP here.

Honestly not sure yet; I'm still working out what I need to take with me. Will likely have three bags, however; two suitcases and a backpack (for daily use once I get there).

This brings back bad memories of trying to get through the Japanese train system with a large suitcase. I did it, but it involved mowing down Japanese business men left and right, lifting the the thing up and down stairs, and trying to actually fucking fit the suitcase on crowded trains.

Doesn't DHL do reliable international shipping? I think that's what they're known for.
