Ok, going to Marocco this summer. Whats your input /trv/?

What are the alcohol laws like, should I be afraid of getting killed et cetera

hay me too going in late june through the first week of july! Anyway alcohol can be found in bars and nightclubs however you usually do not want to take the drink onto the street patio (or whatever its called ) because its a rude gesture towards Muslim beliefs.
You won't get killed, Morocco is the Cancun of Europe, there are so many tourists there that the major cities are very much geared towards us (you will never blend in here so dont try embarrasingly hard to "dress like the locals". The last Time I was in Northern Africa it was with my (now ex) girlfriend and she made the mistake of wearing shorts and her top was I guess scandalous as well, we got hisses and whistles but nothing more. The danger is relatively low compared to Western Sahara (I was mugged there and needed 6 stitches, Mauritania where four French tourists were beheaded last year. Maroc is an island of relative calm, but like anywhere unfamiliar you should be aware of your surroundings and use common sense.

Lol maybe we will cross paths in a bar somewhere

oh don't walk from the airport to the medina or wherever you are staying. I never did it, but a lot of people I have talked to say it simply is not safe as there are no sidewalks and the drivers have no qualms about running people over. Either take a taxi (AGREE on a price first otherwise they will take advantage) or take the bus which is cheap and not as stressful as haggling after just getting off your flight.

lemme guess you saw the price to fly on easyjet or something and you were like "ZOMGs must go"
