Hi /trv/I am going to Hong Kong at the end of October but I don't have a Chinese visa yet. A friend of mine who is studying there tells me I don't need a visa to visit Hong Kong but I will need one to enter Kowloon or mainland China. I am currently living about a 5 hour drive from the closest consulate so does anyone know the easiest way to get a single entry visa. I have found several websites but you have to send them your passport and I am unsure about this. I also plan on staying in a hostel but don't have a reservation as of yet so on the visa form would it be OK to put my friend's dorm as the address in Hong Kong?
kowloon is just a part of hong kong, same as queens is a part of new york city, it's actually the land area opposite of hong kong island, u dont need a fucking visa anywhere in hong kongas to your other questions, lol i dunno
Don't need a visa for HK or Kowloon or New territories, anything beyond that is mainland china and you will need one.Use your friends dorm and then change it later when you get settled? Wait, you're moving there?
Get your visa in Hong Kong. Your friend's dorm should be fine but if you go in person you might be able to get the visa the day you apply so a mailing address wouldn't be necessary.
