hey /trv/, anyone been to Mongolia? It seems like a cool place, especially if you wanna drop off the face of the earth for a month or so. Anyone have any tips or know any points of interest?

I think that your image pretty much sums the place up.

It's different. Apart from Ulan Bator, there is pretty much nothing in the country. I like it for its solitude, but it was so bloody boring.

anyway I'm mongolian(and now living in canada) ulaanbaatar is pretty good, I enjoy the soviet architecture, and the country side is very nice

also if asian girls are your thing, then you'll probably like mongolian girls

Ulaanbataar is polluted and pig disgusting dirty and poor.

Rest of the country is huge and empty and awesome.

Spent five days there last summer and it's the coolest place i've been to yet in my life.

If you were going to Mongolia, it's not for the social scene or the shopping. STFU about "boring."

I'd personally like to go there to live in solitude for a while, just enjoy the outdoors. Walk around the countryside and just live.

Don't forget the Tinshein swimming pool with it’s length of thirty meters and width of six meters.
