My first time in Norway on my first night when coming back from Deli de Luca I was accosted by some drunk guy. He was talking pretty fast and slurring his words, and I hadn't talked to a real honest to got Norwegian before so I kept saying "Jeg forstør ikke!" and he asked where I came from so I replied "USA" and he spat on me. There have been few moments in my life where I've felt so... weird. Luckily a shopkeeper came out of his kiosk and shooed the guy away.

How can someone be xenophobic if they only hate America? I can understand for example the fued between the Japanese and the Chinese, but someone hating America is a given. Here in Scotland I'd say maybe 2% of the population doesn't hate America, and that 2% would be immigrants from America lol.

I was born in Germany to a Christian German dad and French Jewish mom, but I've lived in Canada since I was 4. Without the flux of (mostly Turkish) immigrants after WWII, Germans would be wiping toilets in Poland now. Their labor rebuilt the German economy and provided the basis for the global powerhouse economy Germany is today; which is not to say that German invention and innovation has not played even a bigger role, but it would mean naught without the labor to realize it.

>>22108
Haha, hell no! First generation guest workers were mainly from Italy and Greece. And through wondrous means they and their children managed to become productive and integrated members of our society.
Also guest workers came here *because* the economy was booming. If they wouldn't have come, it would have just taken longer for our economy to recover.
>> Anonymous
>>22110
Read the first post you linked to please. What I tried to point out was that they look down upon Turkish immigrants for being closed-minded and rejective (a product of their ghetto/islamistic mentality as you put it) and yet are not much different. I can figure out pretty much about a person's character and mentality in a 10 minute conversation, which I don't believe is a gift, and after that point who that person's countrymen are or how they behave is as irrelevant as their favorite number.

I've been to the US a couple of times. Everytime I mentioned that I'm German everyone makes the Hitlergruß and shouts "SIEG HEIL!"
Seriously, WTF?

In Vegas, me and my brother nearly got a beating from some drunk hicks. They thought we were from scotland.

In New York I was chatting to a guy who was interested in Germany. Some drunken fuck came up from behind and was mumbling something about Jews and Nazis. Suddenly he grabbed me and shouted: " DO YOU HATE JEWS NAZIBOY?"
The funny thing was, I was nearly 1 foot taller than him and as soon as he realised this he ran out, shouting "HEIL HITLER!" or "SIEG HEIL!"

We're also usually not associated with street crime, religious fanatism and total rejection of all values of our host country.

Well, you talk and act like you think you are. Speaking plural here. This was an example of the general attitude I faced, I know better than to judge a whole nation by a single individual and a tipsy girl at that.

Also, keep in mind that it was not charity that you took those immigrants, it was a mutually beneficial deal. Your government has as much responsibility in their integration and the problems arising from the lack thereof as the immigrants themselves do.

2nd: If you're a Jew and visit Leipzig then you're almost as crazy as a Jew visiting the Gaza strip and wearing a jewish flag. I am ashamed of Saxonia and other parts of eastern Germany, but it's a matter of fact that xenophobic nazi bastards live there.
3rd: Turkish people ARE unpopular in Germany. Want a reason why? Walk through any larger city and take a good look at everybody that looks turkish/arabic. Hell, they're currently reviving the Vokuhila at the moment and I think there is nothing more terrible then that, besides the obvious LOL WE NEVAR DID GENOCIDE NOW LET US IN THE EU

Do I ever disagree with that. And to do what I am about to describe shows just how fucking lower than us they are.

Imagine watching TV 9/11 and realizing a bunch of people are going to be stranded in your town when planes are diverted there. You know you wana help, its just the right thing to do, right? So we all end up bringing stuff to the airport, things like sandwiches and bottled watter, blankets and pillows, to help them out. Well luckily we had enough and there was plenty to go around and it seemed like they were set for at least a couple days.

I stop by the next day, and I see they were still snacking on the things we brought... only now there are 4 vending machines with the glass busted out. I asked what happened and it turned out they did it because they "wanted more food". I mean fuck, only one machine was even upright the rest were tipped over, one sold nothing but coke, and apparently they didn't even try to get someone to open the machines.

Now if you think thats bad thats not even the part that really turned me from americans. I overhear some fat fucking woman complaining about how she cut herself when she was digging around inside the machine. The bitch was talking about how she was going to sue the airport, I mean what the fuck.

That was the day I started hating americans, ironically the first time I met any. I wasn't the only one either. The people who took them into their homes had shit stolen, toilets clogged, and homes left in disarray. I was amazed really, I heard all the stereotypes but I had no idea just how true it all was.

There were very few Jews in Linz. In the course of centuries the Jews who lived there had become Europeanized in external appearance and were so much like other human beings that I even looked upon them as Germans. The reason why I did not then perceive the absurdity of such an illusion was that the only external mark which I recognized as distinguishing them from us was the practice of their strange religion. As I thought that they were persecuted on account of their faith my aversion to hearing remarks against them grew almost into a feeling of abhorrence. I did not in the least suspect that there could be such a thing as a systematic anti-Semitism.

Once, when passing through the inner City, I suddenly encountered a phenomenon in a long caftan and wearing black side-locks. My first thought was: Is this a Jew? They certainly did not have this appearance in Linz. I carefully watched the man stealthily and cautiously but the longer I gazed at the strange countenance and examined it feature by feature, the more the question shaped itself in my brain: Is this a German?

You could say the same thing for goths, punks, metalheads and whatnot as long as you judge them by their appearance. He IS a German, his home is Germany. German does not imply a certain ethnicity or secular Christian values. You cannot expect him to assimilate totally into the majority, what you can expect and should encourage him to is keep his extreme differences within his personal space. For instance, you can rail at him for telling you to abide by the kosher, but not for dressing the way he wants to.

I never had a bad opinion of Foreigners until I went on the internet. Shortly after 9/11, we heard about the French holding a candle light vigil for the dead at ground zero, a German Destroyer steaming alongside a US Naval vessel and saluting, their flag at half mast, we heard about these things and thought well of you all.

That was all uninformed bullshit. You people would extinguish every last one of us if we offended your sense of propriety and kultur, just because your hatred is so furious and rabid. Why, for all those decades, did we protect you, why, for all those decades, did we pump billions upon billions of dollars of stimulus into your economies, why did we even bother to instill democratic institutions in nations like Germany and Japan? They are, with the rest of Europe, deep down, the same places they were before. Haughty, autocratic, elitist, archaic.

America never abandoned the world, the world abandoned America, from day one. We made a grave mistake extending any sort of kindness to you.

ITT people confusing Americans with American government. To the rest of the world we are either Bible thumping, dumb fuck, fat-asses or slightly less extreme Bible thumping, dumb fuck, fat-asses. I'll be the first to admit that i'm not a fan of this country or where it is going, but its completely retarded to come here for a weeks vacation, run into a dumb ass or two, and think everyone in America is like that. it happens everywhere but i don't judge those countries because of the people running them or the occasional xenophobic ass hole harassing everyone he sees.

This thread is proof that every country has xenophobic douchebags.

That said, I am a Canadafag. I'm from Saskatchewan... somewhat of a rural backwater province, like the stereotypical southern US. Most Amerifags I've met have been nice, courteous, and generally not bad people. Most of them were hunters from the northern/northwestern states travelling in either SK or Alberta.

Sometimes we get douchefaggot asshole fatass tourists (I live in one of the few touristy areas of my province) who are rude, obnoxious, etc. But every country has people like that. My own province has a lot of Indians (essentially, the lysol drinking child abusing niggers of Canada). Yes, when travelling in America, I've met a lot of douches, but with a population that large it is to be expected. For the most part we are the same, with the exception that on average white Canadians do seem to be a bit more well educated. That is, of course, excluding wiggers.

tl;dr: canada and america arent all that different. durr hurr hurr.

I was meaning that you might have seen more Americans if you lived somewhere else and therefore you might have a different opinion of them. You are, apparently, sheltered. Because yeah, if you were from Ontario, you'd have seen them in a normal setting prior to seeing them in a period where reasonable people were abandoning all sanity and expecting that the nukes were being moved into position so we could begin the end of the world.

Anyway, all Canadian strangers I've talked to on the street were nice enough. However when asked where I'm from I would generally respond with a city instead of state like OP, and that helps to disarm politics. It also probably helps that I live in one of the cities most people outside the US travel to, so most get to say "oh, I've been there."

No, it is made up of all the factors you just mentioned Turk, you really dont understand statistics do you?

>literacy

Greece - 96%.

Turkey - 87%

>poverty

Percentage of Population living on below $2 a day:

Greece - N/A (was not considered as undeveloped enough for inclusion in the UNDPs study in this area).

Turkey - 18.7%

>hunger

http://ipsnews.net/news.asp?idnews=40033

>ATHENS, Nov 13 (IPS) - A third of Greeks live close to the poverty line or under, a new survey has found. The poverty limit is drawn at an income of 470 euros a month per adult. The survey conducted last month by Kapa Research, a surveys company, and The London School of Economics on behalf of the ministry of economy found that poverty has begun to threaten social cohesion.

>The survey says that slowly but steadily a 'third world' is being created inside Greece, an EU member state with a population of 11 million.

Good job comparing a tiny population of 11 million living in a country that has been part of the EU for years, to a huge country of 71 million people that still hasn't been allowed in. And to top it off, you still fail.

Also, your fucking statistics are old. Turkey has 2% hunger, meaning it should be painted in dark green in your map.

Why are you pretending to not be Turkish?

Why do you Turks do this?

If you are so proud of Turkishness, why do you hide behind a mask of pretending to be a non-Turk? Is your shame so great?

The news story your cited by the way, it is 'national' poverty. Meaning the line is drawn dependent on a specific country's GDP per capita. Turkey's is lower than Greece, so they will have a lower threshold.

Yes, Indians were obviously here before we were, but that doesn't change the fact that most of their youth are in street gangs, almost none of them are working professionals, reserves are gangland shitholes, etc. Pretty much every Indian I have known (after living in Regina, Yorkton, Saskatoon, the Cypress Hills, and near Uranium City) was either a substance abuser or a criminal.

And yes, residential schools ARE at fault. I won't deny that. But what about blacks who had almost no rights until relatively recently in the US? Sure, a lot are "gangsta" retards, but there are many professionals too. How about Asians? Their great grandparents had to work on railroads in BC, were taken advantage of in Winnipeg, etc. and today they are almost all productive members of society.
