Noisy, vibrant and truly full of knives, London is a megalopolis of people, ideas, knives and energy. The knife capital and largest city of both the United Kingdom and of England, it is also the largest city and has the most knives in Western Europe. Situated on the River Thames in South-East England, Greater London has an official population of roughly 7.5 million people and 7.4 million knives — although the figure of over 14 million for the city's total metropolitan area more accurately reflects London's size and importance. London is one of the great "knife cities," and remains a global capital of culture, fashion, finance, politics, stabbings and trade.

Manhattan(NYC)-Outrageously expensive and hectic
Boston-Dirty and crime ridden in some areas, others are quite nice
San Fransisco-Even more outrageously expensive, also SMUG
San Jose-Boring, also the only people who move here are forced to by their cushy software engineer jobs or something.
Washington D.C. AREA-Shitty as hell, full of crime and niggers, awful weather, crowded with bad traffic. Avioid.
Seattle-Another outrageously expensive place, shitty weather, also SMUG but still a decent place.
Montreal-Cold, full of douchebags, but overall not a bad place.
Toronto-See above
London-Don't know anything about London

SF - expensive, but very cosmopolitan for a tiny city of 700,000.

San Jose - shit-hole, avoid at all costs. sprawl, crime, decay, no night life, reall really really bad public transportation. basically it has all of the disadvantages of a big city, without any of the advantages.

>>74782
Crime? San Jose has far-and-away the lowest crime rate of any major U.S. city. And decay? What are you on about? Are you thinking of Oakland? Fucktard.
>> Anonymous
>>San Fransisco
We have a huge problem with crime, mostly from criminal niggers coming in from Oakland (+200 homicides/year) or criminal spics raping/robbing/shooting people over gang wars. SF is a nice place to visit, not a nice place to live. The good places to live have homes in the $800,000 and up range so you need to have serious income.

What we need is for the SFPD to get a reshuffle and actually take care of criminals. Our D.A. doesn't do shit and turns a blind eye to savage raping negroes because she's half one herself.

Kill yourself.

Seattle is a pretty badass place to live if you make a half-decent income. Public transportation makes living in affordable areas not too shabby, and there's a very healthy culture here. People are nice if you're not a moron.

DC Area: Lots of fucking traffic, lots of people who can't drive, and lots of people who can't speak English.
>> Anonymous
Washington DC metro area is one of the most affluent and also most expensive places to live.

I make around to 70k a year as an engineer...An I am single...So I am pretty fucking rich by /trv/ standards/

IMO boston is a really cool place but living there get's kinda boring. With manhattan I'd be entertained 24/7 but expensive as shit obviously.

^^^^
How expensive is expensive?
For like a decent sized apartment that is nice....

>>75329
REALLY fucking expensive. Get a studio, lol.
>> Anonymous
>>75339
Yeah, you can find studios going for $1500-1800 in areas like the East Village or Upper East Side. If you don't mind living in Washington Heights or Harlem, you can go as low as $1000/month. But in this case you'd probably be better off renting something in the boroughs. Forest Hills, Queens seems to have some great deals, its about a 30-minute subway ride to Manhattan though.
>> Anonymous
I could probably swing $1800 a month
For example....People here seems to hate D.C....but I imagine there are some nice areas...I mean Congress has to live somewhere.
I will compromise cost for location...

Boston: Have only visited but I liked the place alot. The city was nice, good sports venues and shit to do. Sandwich and the Cape were beautiful. Probably fairly expensive too.
Toronto: Always something going on. Pretty good job market. High tech/financial downtown(not sure how thats doing at the current moment), and plenty of other jobs otherwise. Pretty big suburban area, but there is cheaper housing out on the fringes and fairly good transportation to the city(GO trains). A large chunk of Ontario around toronto commutes there or has decent job opportunities in services and such.
Montreal: Another great city. I've visited afew times. Its in a french province, but you can get by pretty welll with only english in the city. Lots to do, and a much better looking city than toronto.

D.C. has no culture base. Most everyone comes and goes every few years so it's all strangers.

thanks for all the help

I liked Boston, there are some really nice areas
>> Anonymous
Just go for a combination of all of them and go to Philadelphia.

Go for Boston. Two hours north on US-1/I-95 gets you through Portsmouth (a great little city, ~40k people) and up to Maine. Two hours north on I-93 gets you to the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire. All the major sports teams except the Patriots play right in town, and the MBTA runs trains there on game days from South Station (which is the best-looking train station in the northeastern US). There's a huge amount of things to do, from world-class museums to the hilariously rude service and good food at Durgin Park. Like history? We're up to our fucking eyeballs in it. There's about a squillion ways to get to NYC at various speeds and price points. Logan's a great major airport, even if the 9/11 flights did take off there.

The NY suburbs are nice but not a place for a young man to live, they are quiet and boring

you forgot Cape Cod, best beaches north of Florida on the east coast.

Seattle- Nice place a bit expensive and the weather sucks. People are nice though.

San Fransisco- Gay as fuck. Nice place to visit but i'd never live in a place thats THAT expensive and next to a shithole like Oakland.

San Jose- Again a pretty nice area but still a bit pricey, not much night-life though.

Boston-Dirty and smells like piss. People are loud and annoying Traffic is THE WQRST. Avoid.

Manhattan-Nice, clean, and safe. VERY expensive.

Washington DC-Niggernest, infested with crackheads and rapists. Avoid at all times.

The Cape is wicked awesome, but I prefer Maine's coast and New Hampshire's lakes for getaways. Again, ~2 hours away from Boston.

London = Very expensive unless you live in shitsville parts of London, if your talking central..usually very expensive. It's also pretty dirty and very busy most the time. I guess the atmospheres nice? There's plenty to look at...
>> Anonymous

hell yes
new hampshire's lakes are sweet as honey

The Cape's only an hour from Boston, and the ocean water is an assload warmer than in NH.
