My itinerary: Paris-Moscow, then the Trans-Siberian Railway up until the Sea of Japan, getting on the Vladivostok-Fushiki ferry and going back by the Trans-Manchurian Railway. Trains, ferries and public transportation only. I would like to sell a travelogue or somehow profit on the documentation of this rather crazy journey to help finance it. How do I do that?

Blowjob at the stops.

You would either need to have TV skills and a cameraman or be a professional photographer and have a skill at writing, aside from knowing some people in the publishing or TV industries, which you may accomplish by sleeping with them.

>knowing some people in the publishing or TV industries
OP here, so far I think this is the main thing I'd need. But I don't know anyone like that. Would blind submissions and proposals accomplish anything at all?

the trip doesn't sound that special tbh

I would think they'd be getting dozens of such proposals everyday. I guess you could have a chance if you had everything planned out to the tiniest bit of detail, that is if you went to them with a real business plan. Not to mention, you would need the skills I mentioned above even more. But, by any means, give it a try even if you can't satisfy these.

This. You'd need to do something a lot more edgy to generate interest. Ever consider working as an undercover freelance journalist infiltrating the Russian Mafia?

If I was sure it would get published? Yes.

/trv/ - Unrealistic fantasies, over and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over...

how's something thousands of people do every day an unrealistic fantasy, wtf?

HEY OP, YOUR DREAMS ARE FOOLISH AND WILL NEVER BE REALIZED, ENJOY YOUR FINANCIALLY PARALYZING TRIP THAT PROBABLY WON'T LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS

WELCOME TO REAL LIFE

Thousands of people go on expensive vacations financed by their shitty blogs every day? No. Grow up, get a job, learn how life actually works. Then people might be interested in reading what you have to say about your vacation photos. But even after all that, probably not. You're just not special enough. So, knock up some broad, make some greasy babies, and tell them they're special. They'll believe it for a the first few miserable years of their lives, then, the cycle continues.

doing something thousands of people every day isn't unrealistic, intact op's trip sounds pretty fun, I plan to do something similar myself
however as you said, thousands of people do it everyday (would it really be thousands or hundreds? But that’s beside the point) so there's nothing special about it

that said, if op is a talented writer and can tell his story in an interesting or amusing way then he might get somewhere, but the story itself isn’t anything remarkable

I was thinking of doing the same thing, except flying to Alaska, spending some time there, flying to Vancouver, and taking VIA and Amtrak back to Boston, which would be my starting point for circumnavigation.

What you need to do is get a bubblegum company to sponsor you and make youtube videos of your trip
