Sup noone,

I'm going to Bologna next year. That in Italy, in case you wandered onto this board by accident. I'll be studying at the University of Bologna through UCSD's eaducation abroad program. I'm doing a full academic year, and It's really a cool opportunity, but I'm not going to be able to see any of my friends back home for quite some time.
My question: How would the vidya work intercontinentally? Say, for instance, I wanted to play Brawl against my friend in CA (in b4, "I don't think you have any friends, enjoy your brawl"), how bad would the lag be? Would it be bearable, or is the whole idea an excercise in futility? Actually, lag aside, is intercontinental connection possible, or do they regulate servers by continent?

Pic tangentially related, as it is my school library.

All I have to say is fuck stupid people like you who get opportunities like that. Thank you and have a good day.

You wouldn't be changing the region of your game/system. You'd still be able to play him.
And if you have the friendcode, you can play anyone of any region. Lag will be terrible.

Don't forget to catch the train down to Florence. Florence is a seriously cool place, I've been there twice, once in summer and once in winter.

Stayed for a couple of nights in Bologna as well. The tightness of Italian streets is like a maze.
