What's there to see/do in Montreal?

French shouldn't be an obstacle for me..

Anything you want, what do you like? Partying? Looking at historic buildings? beaches? concerts?

Montreal has everything you need, ask a question, I'm in love with that city

Just tell me everything man, i'm all ears

I should say that i'm thinking about hitting up the pub scene, i'm 18 and this will be my only chance to legally get my crunk on for months

i lol'd at the fact that you waited until you were 18, drinking age is rarely enforced in Montreal,
do you know any people there? If not then I recommend to stay at a youth hostel, people are awesome and you just pay like 30 bucks a night, plus you'll meet tons of people from different countries, all looking to do the same as you,

if you wanna go clubbing, here are your options, Crescent street is basically a tourist trap, everything is more expensive, but you might have some fun, all tourist stuff. Locals go to the Plateau, trendy neighbourhood, lots of cool restaurants, clubs and bars, its more Quebec-oriented, but i prefer that, Ste. Catherine is full of strip clubs, actually Montreal is the only city where you will find a Strip club right next to a Bible store lol, Hobos are bilingual, careful with that, supposedly clubs close at approx 3 am, but after that if you still feel like partying you can go to an afterhours on St. Laurent and Ste. Catherine. they keep going until noon of the next day.

Protip for cheap drinking: Go to peel pub to get drunk, beer is ridiculously cheap there, and just leave drunk to some other club

Holy crap, thanks! Anon delivers

Two more questions, if you don't mind
1. My old man lived in Baie-D'urfe during the 70's - what kind of a neighbourhood is this? Is a nigger going to steal my bike or what
2. Have things cooled down language wise since the 70's? Pops nearly got stomped by a french cop during the first referendum

1. Baie D'urfe is a western suburb so a nigger stealing your bike is very unlikely, look it up on google maps, detached houses with pools..... POOLS =/= NIGGERS
they just can't afford it sorry, avoid Montreal north and the East end of Montreal, they're like the ghettoes here.

2. You'll be fine Anon, its not Quebec city so don't worry, if you do plan to live in Montreal however; Learning French is a good idea.

Another thing I heard, there is supposed to be this restaurant close near the olympic Stadium where the waitresses are completely naked, not 100% sure but you might wanna find something about it, and if you do, come back with info. Anon will be happy.

Do you mind me asking where are you coming from?

Montrealfag here.

1) Walk around Old Montreal
2) Go shopping in downtown Montreal
3) Go drinking/clubbing in downtown Montreal (Peel Pub is a good place to start)
4) If you're not a fat fuck, rent a bike and go biking along the lake shore.
5) Strip clubs
6) ...

Saint Denis and St. Laurent have great bars, I went to Cafe Campus on St. Laurent and Prince Arthur or something on a Tuesday night and it was off the wall.

Don't go to the Olympic stadium, its big and ugly up close, and fyi beer is expensive as hell there, 40s were 5 bucks, not much cheaper than the dives
