goin to the philippines for business..

ill be there for 2 weeks..

any advice?
ive been to vietnam, should i expect the roughly the same??

also how hard is it to be an english speakin tourist/traveller in manila?

it's not hard really, dude, talking to Filipinos. Many Filipinos could speak in English, just be choose the person you talk to. It's commuting to places(just take a taxi, not the FX or Jeepney) and the traffic in Manila that makes it hard.

Yeah emphasis on the shoose part, try to talk to people who look civilized and dress decent as opposed to some grungy sidewalk guy chances are they'll be more helpfull and speak better english.

And also, try to get a decent cab outta the airport if possible check with the hotel your staying if they have limo service at least you can be guarranteed a smoother ride, I took a van from the airport cab service and bangesd my head on the cieling more than 5 times thanks to the fucking bad roads.
