Go to the University. It's the oldest German University in the world. And of course over the Carlsbridge.

DON'T go to the southern part of the city center or Nove Mesto (New Town as opposed to Old Town - Stare Mesto) it hasn't been renovated and it smells. I wouldn't be surprised if there were crime there at night (I was there during the day) and telling from all the seedy-looking bars around I think I might be right.

DO climb to the top of the cathedral in Hradcany (the Prague castle) for a spectacular view of Prague. Really worth the wait. But I'm sure you were gonna do that without me telling you anyway.

The air really sucks there. It reminds me of LA air. Kinda stale :( Probably because of Prague's location between mountain ranges. The air stagnates.

Oh and if you can try Krusovice beer. Best beer I ever tasted.

If your going for a pissed weekend watch out for the pimps & touts they'll outnumber you 2:1 even if your in a crowd, stick to the main areas at night don't go wandering off. It aint that bad as with any capitol though being a tourist isn't the best option. Learn some Czech words, Ned?kuji ("no thank you" is one of the most useful to get rid of touts).

I just got back from Prague. Some tips: Go see the Charles Bridge just so you can say you've seen it. Same with the astronomical clock at the old town square.

Go to the museum of the city of Prague, it's only like 40 crowns (we were with a group of 9, all students, so they thought we were a school group and we only paid 20). There is an awesome model of Prague that took some guy 11 years to make. It's worth it.

I don't really remember any restaurants, except Kozicky (or something) on the Kozi street. It was really good and, surprisingly, the waiter was nice.

Go climb up the hills that are next to the Prague Castle during the day for great views.

Bring a football (soccer ball) just in case you just want to chill in a park.

We didn't get lunch at restaurants, we just bought bread and things to put on it. Cost us like 100 crowns for 4 days.

Be sure to check the bill in restaurants and/or ask beforehand what a beer costs. We almost got ripped off a couple of times.

Don't use public transportation, everything is in walking distance from each other and besides, Prague is a great city to walk in. Practically every single building is beautiful.

Oh and go see the Dancing House when you get tired of old shit.
