Goin' to Canada soon as part of a gap year trip/tour thing.
I asked about Sim cards, and the company redirected me to US Sim cards. Will buying a "USA" sim card affect prices when I cross over into Canada? Or do I have to buy a specific Canadian sim card?

Unless Canada has the same sort of thing Ireland and the UK have, you're probably better off buying a Canadian one.

Then again - GOOGLE THE RATES, YOU MUTHA!

Enjoy your roaming rates. Oh wait, Canadian rates are so high its actually cheaper to roam from a US carrier.

Yea just buy a prepaid global sim or else you'll get charged a lot. You can either buy the global one which has different rates for certain countries (i think like 15cents/minute for canada to us) or just buy a prepaid phone in canada and use it to dial a canadian phone card. the second option is probably cheaper but you'd need to buy a shitty ass canada phone.

yeah I agree with this post, if it were me though, I'd probably just get a prepaid sim card.

don't forget to unlock your phone
