Hey /trv/does anyone have a better map that shows major train lines going to large towns/cities of japan.< something like this but more detailed
and also, should I try my luck navigating Tokyo first, or start off with a smaller city and getting to grips there?
>>36311If you can't navigate central Tokyo something is really wrong. The Yamanote line runs in a nice ellipse hitting all the major areas. Hard to get lost like that.
yea it didn't look too complicatedit's just that it's my first time overseas, and i'm going by myself to a country that speaks a language i barely understand.I suppose what i'm really asking is: see tokyo first, or see rest of japan first
I suggest you simply look up each JR's regional maps depending on where you're going. JR Hokkaido, JR East, JR Central, JR West, JR Shikoku, JR Kyushu, various private lines, and city lines all have their maps posted.
FUCK YEAH JR KYUSHU
Here you are.http://transit.goo.ne.jp/flashmap/index.phpIf you are looking for maps in English, things don't look too well.
>>36343Did somebody just say JR Kyushu?
