Is Mexico a good place to visit?

I have the chance to go, but I fear the spics and I'm not sure if there's anything worth seeing.

If you're a canadian, enjoy being killed by hitmen and jailed for insufficient bribes.

Why go to mexico when you can go to your local Home depot parking lot?

Morelia is beautiful, mexican beaches are fucking awesome (my personal favorite is Ixtapa), stay the hell away of the "distrito federal", unless you're gonna visit the aztec piramyds which are also fuckwin

Depending in what is your tastes. Oaxaca is also a good place to visit

San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful place to visit, in addition to the ones already mentioned. Also actual Mexicans are better than Mexican-Americans, or so it seems, so no need to fear.

go to taxco, cheap silver is cheap
if what you want is sun and beach listen to this guy
>>24066ixtapa FTW, and riviera maya is fine too
in the riviera maya you can also visit some piramyds.

if what you want is to visit the colonial mexico, go to guanajuato, morelia, queretaro, and other central mexico cities, and stay the fuck away from mexico city

if you go to guanajuato, dont forget to visit the Guanajuato Mummy Museum

I can confirm this, I live on the border, we tend to get most of the "rednecks" of Mexico, while the better Mexicans stay home. Having been to Mexico City on a student exchange, I can safely say that the average Mexican is quite respectable, I made quite a few friends down there.

Same goes for all immigrants and their countrymen back at home. Maybe except those that flee persecution or the Islamic Revolution in Iran for instance.

Yeah, I like Iranian ex-pats, they seem really mellow until they start talking about Iran then they either get depressed or pissed.

Which all things considered is pretty darn understandable.

How is southern baja california? I've never went down there, and I'm not terribly interested in Tijuana, infact when I travel my favorite thing to do is just study the foreign terrain.

I'm talking about the southern most point, the cape of baja I guess, or wtf is on those islands in the baja bay?

Stay away from the border towns. The drug cartels have been exchanging a lot of fire there lately.
