Hello, /trv/.

I have a friend in England who offered to buy something from a store and send it over to me in the US, and I pay him back in return. My question is: since I have less knowledge in how stuff like this works internationally that I'd like to, I don't know if I can simply send him an envelope with cash or a check inside. I highly doubt cash, since something in the back of my head just tells me "NO", and I'm not sure if you can cash an American check at a British bank. Thanks a bunch in advance.

And before someone asks, 4chan has no general chat, so I really was unsure where to post this.

Yes you can. Both ways. If you want to be fair to him, though, ask go to your bank and ask them to make up a cashier's check in pounds sterling, not dollars, as most banks take about a week and charge a fee to cash check in foreign currency.

I can do that? I did not know that. Kick ass.

if you send cash, DO NOT send it in an envelope, though. go to the post office and pick up a cardboard sleeve (called a document mailer or some shit) and put it in there. money in envelope means money stolen.
