Hello /trv/,
My wife and I have always wanted to visit Ireland.
Both our families are from there.
Any tips or suggestions on where the "must visit" or "must avoid" places are?
Thanks

How do the Irish feel about Canadians?

Yep, I'm American.
I wasn't planning on moving there or anything.

Pleasant attitude... and we're supposed to be the assholes.

They're just sad because Murka has more irishfags than Ireland. Their entire population has been pretty much deported, and they're butthurt about it.

Alright, this is seriously annoying. I know we have a shit president, and I know our media representation is shit. But in reality, the better part of those of us that travel are actually fairly decent people, at least as decent as the Europeans who blindly hate us. We aren't coming over to force-feed you hamburgers or dress you in Abercrombie; we're visiting in an attempt to experience another country's culture. We're INTERESTED. We're CURIOUS. We want to LEARN. So please, just accept the economic boost you get from our tourists and stop complaining.

spoilers you have the same family

seriously though i saw a documentary where that happened and in ireland also. i would say go visit places that are off the map and go exploring so you can tell people about all these weird places, that's what i do when i go places. don't go to the museums and shit, go to the suburbs and look around and go to some forests and explore.

County Clare was awesome when I was there. I met some of my family who owned a dairy farm. I got to play with the calfs, eat some awesome food (Try it first. If you like it, don't ask what's in it.), and check out a hurling match. The cliffs were beautiful, and everything was bright fucking green as far as you could see.

Protip: You probably will never run into twats like these, because they're holed up in their grandparents' basement, blindly brandishing their prejudice on the interwebs, of all places.
