Hey /trv/,

Me and some buddies are wanting to take a vacation this year, but we're not sure what the destination should be. I'd like to go somewhere in Europe as I've never been there, but with the dollar being worse less than the canadian peso right now that doesn't seem like such a good idea. What would you suggest?

Difficulty: We went to Japan last year.

Try somewhere in South America. Those countries still have low prices by American standards, but excluding countries like Bolivia and Colombia they tend to be nice even so.

Argentina is a beautiful country, and friendly to tourists even if they're moving away from the Westerners in general lately. Chile is similar, but dirtier and poorer.

Cuba is a very nice place to go for a vacation, and though it is relatively expensive for Americans to get there it is cheap for tourists once you arrive.

Can't you get into legal trouble for visiting there as an american?

Eastern Europe. Even with the shitty dollar it's cheap, and it's really beautiful. Poland, Austria, and Hungary.

Prague, Czech Republic. Known as the poor man's Paris. But, I don't really think of it that way. It's a very beautiful and historic city. There is ALOT to do.
