Other than Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, and Cable Cars, what should I check out in San Francisco? Any good shops, restaurants, etc.? It's my first time there.

Try the Imperial Palace Restaurant in Chinatown. Used to be called the Golden Dragon. Site of awesome Godfather Style triad murders. Fantastic dim sum.

If you're in a relationship, the Cliff House restaurant is quite beautiful at sunset and has decent food.

Be sure to check out a Napa vineyard.

Lombard Street.

If you wanna see some redwoods, head up to Muir Woods. It's not too long of a drive.

AT&T Park, of course. It's a gorgeous baseball stadium, and there's a lot of good variety in concessions for you when you watch the game. Garlic fries are to die for.

Cross the bay and go to UC Bekeley's IEEE-sponsored electronics lab. If you can social your way in you'll have access to advanced electronics engineering equipment and FPGAs to program h4x0r devices of various sorts.

They play movies in Dolores Park for free every month or so. Rules against drinking in public is decidedly not enforced there.

They'll make you put your joint out, though. But as long as people keep cleaning up after themselves while drinking, and not too many teenagers are there, no one gives a shit.
