hey /trv/ whats up

so columbus day is coming up and I am in the process of creating plans with a certain ladyfriend. She goes to school in Boston and I go in NYC.

Oct 10- Take bus from Chinatown to Boston, get in around 10pm and go bar hopping a little.
Oct 11- Get on a ferry to P-town and spend the day there return to Boston around 9pm.
Oct 12-this is a little shakey, should I spend the rest of the day in Boston or head to Providence by amtrak?

in any case I'd probably head back to NYC on the 13th, since I have midterms the next day.

tl;dr- what is worth seeing in Boston, Providence, and Provincetown.

I don't think you have a "ladyfriend". Enjoy your trip. :)

There isn't much in Providence at all... I mean the area around Brown and RISD has some nice music and shopping, but otherwise there is nothing

Well, if he's going to P-town with a "ladyfriend", either she wasn't born a lady or he is one.

Find a commuter rail, connect to the green line.
Take the green line into Boston, much quicker, it'll take you directly to park street

Stuff worthwhile in Boston?
Not too much. But then P-town is just as bad.
There's the biggest food court Ive come across in Quincy Market.
You could be uber-touristy and grab a duck tour.
Its probably too late in the season for a whale watching trip.
There's also dinner cruises along the harbor harbor, most notably the Spirit of Boston.
But should you make it over to Harvard Square/University...check out a restaurant called Fire + Ice.

yeah whalewatching is about the best thing you could do in P-town. You could check out the national seashore is you'd like as well, but it's not right next to the town or anything. Other than that pretty much all you will see there is unemployed hippie artists and gays.

Boston has plenty to see if you like historical stuff.

Providence is actually pretty boring from a tourist standpoint, there is really nothing to see at all. You could try and see WaterFire at night if it's going on when you're there, but I think that's only over the summer.

New England so should've seceded, while we had the chance... either 1814 or 1861 would have been good opportunities. We would've been fine... now we're sinking with the stinking Southerner's ship we didn't screw up and never did.

I would definitely go. New England is beautiful and IMO the single greatest place in the US.
