/trv/, I am looking to travel internationally for cheap. What are the best sites to help me with this? More likely then not, I will be heading to Europe. There is an outside chance that I will be going to Australia.

Either way, I need to find out the best ways to save money and the best discount/helpful sites.

I know of sidestep and wikitravel, but that is it. Can you help me Anons?

Every country has their specific domestic search engine for flights. Cross-reference well known ones like Jetabroad and Expedia with the actual flight websites themselves.

Occasionally they will have hotel searchers built in that are more or less useful depending. Just start getting accustomed to the flight websites now. They love making it hard to find the cheapest flights.

ive had relative success with eurocheapo.com, cheaper deals can be had if you search via local sites for each country, but the savings may be negligible depending on your destination

Thanks, that is helpful!

I am looking into Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence, etc) right now. Any help is always appreciated. Budgets are kinda tight, but we are looking to do the trip on about 4-5k USD. Not a huge budget obviously, but hardly small either. We would be there for between a week to 2 weeks depending on the work situation (bastards don't like giving us time off).

If you're looking for cheap, don't go to Iceland.
That is all.
