Double check your toiletries before you depart. Anything you forget/run out of will be available on board, but at a greatly increased cost. Sunscreen is a must, along with sunburn relief, if you burn at all due to the latitude. Take along motion sickness medication if you think you might need it, modern cruise ships will damper the movement of the ocean but not eliminate it. See if an on board schedule is available now at their website, so that when you board you already know what is going on. Get a cheap, one time use water resistant camera for use on the island so that you don't have to worry about sand and water getting into your regular camera (plus you can take underwater photographs!)

tl;dr Enjoy.

Deck plans are available at their website, familiarize yourself with the ship's layout now so that you don't have to learn it while you're on vacation. One night that you're at sea, take a look at the stars.

Haven't been on a cruise in many years.. (anyone remember when Big Red Boat was around? Yeah. That long ago) but I remember my big shocker being that the pool on-deck had saltwater instead of chlorinated water.

I guess that's not really a "hay bring this" warning, but just a warning that I wish I had had

>anyone remember when Big Red Boat was around?

When Premier collapsed, they left the whole crew of BRB II stranded for a few years in a foreign country. The boat was essentially collected as debt and the crew was stuck with it. Eventually they were able to go home and BRBs II and III were scrapped.

BRB I, the only respectably sized one, is still sailing as the Pullmantur Oceanic, pictured.

Premier essentially died as immediately as Disney World pulled sponsorship for their own cruise line, and since the Disney Magic makes the BRB look like a dinky bathtub, it's no surprise.
