Hey /trv/

I'm going to Taipei in August with a friend of mine. Ideas on what there is to do for an 18 year-old white guy and his awkward Taiwanese friend?

That, and planning on telling them how the PRC is the rightful authority on the island.

Honestly though.

Take a tour of the city and take alot of pictures of military bases, bridges, and police stations, as well as any radio towers, powerplants, and airports.

oh lol. I was born in taiwan, but moved here when i was really little.

Go and eat the food on the street (as in stands, not necessarily resturants), ride Taiwan's shinkansen, and visit some of those national parks.

haha. If there one country Taiwanese ppl love its America (or japan, depending on the occasion).

Taiwan's relatively safe as long as you're not a dumbass and smuggle weed though the airport (possession of narcotics is serious business, or so my mom tells me).

People are friendly, and they like foreigners (read: white people). the inferstructure and some parts of society is modeled after Japan, except with shittier results due to being chinks.
