G'day /trv/

I'm going to Barcelona on thursday. Does anyone of you have any recommendations? Parks, museums etc. I'm atleast gonna check out la Sagrada familia.

Can I get hold of absinthe? How's the partying etc. Just come with info of stuff I have to try/check out.

I was in Barcelona during the Christmas and New Year's eve.. I loved it.

You should see the Park Güell, where Gaudi resided. It's like a huge garden with nice roads to walk on. And there obviously is a cafe and all kinds of souvenir shit.

The place was just great, even though it was raining a bit. Actually I think I kind of liked the rain there, it created a nice atmosphere.

Also, Las Ramblas. I'm sure you're familiar with it, it's a huge lively street with a shitload of street artists and shops and all kinds of stuff.

Where are you going to live and how long? I lived in a rent apartment on Las Ramblas for 2 weeks.

You can get absinthe in America, fag.

There's 2 brands that were released in NY 2 years ago and they've expanded since then. If you can't find a liquor store that sells it, you can order it online from them.

And no, you're not gonna trip balls from drinking it.

Absinthe is legal in Spain, so yes you can buy it there. As for places of interest, you can visit the Picasso Museum (nice collection of his earlier work), the Caixa Forum exhibition on Dalí, or go to the FC Barcelona museum if you enjoy football. Also in Las Ramblas be watchful
for Romanian gypsies.

Try to find absinthe with wormwood in it. that's the psychoactive ingredient but its harder than chris hansen in a chatroom full of pre-teen to find

I was in Barcelona with my brothers two years ago. It was great fun. I was actually amazed to see how tolerant the people there were towards three Asian men whose Spanish is limited to a travel phrasebook. It's so nice and there are lots to see, the Sagrada Familia is one among many. I wished I spent more time there.

Seconded on Park Guell, they have a big lizard there made of coloured tile and it doubles as a dribbling fountain (pic related).

Also go to Gaudi's Casa Batlló or "House of bones", theres an entry fee but it's more than worth checking out for the weird architecture.
