So /trv/ I really want to study abroad this coming spring semester. (USAfag btw) And I narrowed it down to Aberystwyth University in Wales and Queen Margaret University in Edinburg, Scotland. Does anybody here have any experience with either school or the regions in general?

Edinburgh is a historic city with a lot of culture. Aberystwyth has grass, sheep and goats.

Aberystwyth is suppose to be good for outside activitys. Its near teh sea and the mountains. But its in the middle of nowhere.

Edinburgh. Shit's beautiful. Very close to the Highlands too, so you'll want to experience that. Awesome city life too; lower crime than most places. As for the school, no idea, but as the son of a high-ranking Scottish tourist board bureaucratic, I whole-heartedly endorse your studying at the QM.

What about Cardiff Uni?

Edinburgh. Aberystwyth can't compete and the highlands are at your back-door. Plus, it's easier to get to other parts of the UK/Ireland and the rest of Europe.

Aberystwyth has the national library of wales and lots of history, lots of mountains and hills close by to explore. Train that goes to birmingham every 2 hours
