The Hajj - Muslim pilgrimage Anonymous
So, Muslims get this Hajj thing. I'd like to try it but I'm not a Muslim, so what are some other pilgrimages that I could do?

Picture unrelated.

Since you're on 4chan, a trip to Thailand might be your pilgrimage.

You could go to Makkah anyway. If you know a bit about the origins of al-islam then it's a really spiritual place regardless of your religion.

IDK how it works, but I guess they probably would ask foreign looking folk to reprise a verse from the Koran or something, unless it's Hajj season and you're in those white toga thingies.

you need certification. fake papers will get you arrested

There are plenty of white muslims, usually from central asia and chechya, Its unlikely there is enough police in Mecca to question every non-arab looking guy in a huge crowd, but the other million muslims might rat you out. Espeically if you have an American accent.

Basically, don't go there, its nothing to see anyways. Go to Jeurselum or some Bhuddist/ Shinto place.

I read about this huge fuckin temple/mountain thing that particularly devout or hearty bhuddists can attempt to climb to the top. Its in Asia somewhere, anyone know what I'm talking about? I'd rather go to some quiet bhuddist place then the busy smoggy streets of Jew-town full of people that hate you.

There is actually a sign on the roads leading into Mecca and Medina marking the point where no non-Muslims are allowed. And they do check your papers. I recall reading that Malcolm X had trouble getting in because he was a black American who didn't speak Arabic. But if you are actually a Muslim you can get some kind of certification from your Imam (like a Muslim pastor) saying that you're a Muslim.

In other words, if you're not a Muslim, you will never see Mecca unless you want to take the hueg risk.
