/b/tart just stopping by the 4chan /trv/ agency for a quick question.

In a few days, some hurricane is said to rip through south central TX, causing reported 100 mile an hour winds. I want to know if a 45 minute trip from San Marcos to San Antonio is safe in the big scary winds. I've got a truck, and it's not exactly light. Will it be able to row row and fight the powah(of the winds for 45 minutes??)

It will work if you plan it out well. First you have to row row , then fight the powah. After that travel against the wind at approximetely 100mph, so its like there is no wind... you won't go anywhere, but its like there is no wind.

no, there was just a communication error. the powers that /b/ heard Large Hadron Collider, and heard "Large Hard-on Collider", and locked the threads, to make sure they got to it first

No it is not.
Gustav was a smaller hurricane.
Ike may have winds approaching 140-150 mph.
But even 100 mph winds are undriveable.
I returned to work today, and heard from a coworker whose wife is a nurse that during the hurricane they brought in a guy who wrecked because he was driving at the height of the hurricane, in winds of 60-80 mph (this was somewhat inland). I thought it was funny that he was so stupid, then I found out he died. Then I thought it was hilarious.
Seriously, if the storm is in your area, don't drive. Or do. Just make sure your wallet is in you pocket so they can identify your dead ass.
