Being an army child and immigrant, I don't really feel like I have a home country.

I was born in Canada but I moved to Germany at the age of 10. I never really felt connected to it, but I do have the urge to go back one day. And here in Germany it all feels strange. I just don't feel like I am at home, still a visitor.

Where do you call home?

I've moved around quite a bit as well, but I consider Dover, NH, USA to be my hometown; I spent my high school years there.

What's Germany like? Toronto's been a total bum lately.

What nationality are you ethnically? (where are your ancestors from?). This should help you find you true home.

My ancestors are from Germany. East Germany actually, former "Schlesien". Which is actually Czech or Polish or something.

It's pretty non-bum. I dunno. Very vague question.

I dont think you'll want to come back to Canada. Sure its beautiful and all, buts its as boring as fuck, and we're being overrun by niggers, sand-niggers, spics, chinks, and hindus all getting uppity thanks to the bleeding-heart left-wing fanatics that run the place.

And dont get me started on the French that want to GTFO but stills steal taxdollars from Canada.
>> OP
Well by going back one day I meant that I'd like to visit again. Because I haven't been in Canada since I left. I wouldn't emigrate back to Canada tho. I see no perspective for me there.

I've lived in America all my life, but I'm one of those people that's always longed to be in another country. All countries have their problems, and I know that. But I have a lot of personal reasons for hating it here, ranging from my single mother being fucked over from the government while my father gets off for free to the way it takes 7.-something% of my pay every week for social security and continues to do so despite telling me to my face there won't be a social security when I retire.

I save a good $4-5,000/year in a 401k and an additional $3,000/year in another mutual fund (I'm just 22) but it's hard as hell to save enough to move away. Even my inheritance is going to be taxed so damn far I won't be able to afford the taxes (lol at not being able to afford something being given to you).

So any way, I don't feel at home in America :|. But it's doing much to prevent me from moving. And I'd love to travel around the world and find some other place to retire to, but with nice out of the way places like Ireland or Australia costing $2,000/person to visit for a week, that's a lot of money I could be saving to just move. .

/trv/ where do you think I should go? Any of you make an America-to-somewhere else move?

Also America is just fuckall run down and ugly unless you live in the middle of nowhere where you can't get a job any way. Ireland's population density is like 33% of what America's is (I have no interest in Ireland in particular, it's just one example I know of).

If you enjoy even higher taxes and mandatory govt Health Insurance (Michael Moore lied. It's sure as hell NOT free), you're welcome to move to Canada.

I have to agree, and I currently live in the country rated the fucking best place to live.

Norway just isn't doing it for me though.

I was serious, I've run into many people like OP who are just simply bored, they end up traveling, and coming back, one example was when a guy came back and started kissing the ground

this is the best country on earth, if not the best, the most fun, if you are not having fun, then I suggest you move out of bumfuckdakota

was he pointed towards mecca?

Most of the USA sucks, most of the fun and interest is concentrated in California and New York

How many places have you been, sucka?

I'm not just talking outside the US, I'm talking states, too.

Seeing that you like pictures of hairy asses pointing to the sun, it's little wonder that you don't like most of the US. I hear Iran is offering free rope to your kind this time of year.

I'm from Canada too...

To be honest I like the country. They need to fix up their act though:

- Fix the forests you goddamn niggers.
- Give us more nuclear powerplants in Ontario
- Fix the ISP issues and kill motherfucking Bell
- Just leave us the fuck alone Quebec, we like you better when you're quiet.

I don't think there'll ever be a "home" for me, but this country has done me well, I like it here. I feel safe here, and free. I just wish the idiots running the place would wisen up.

Oh, and health care is sure as fuck not free. We pay like what, 1/3rd of our salaries on income taxes? It might be even higher than that when you consider all other taxes.

Americans, keep your money. Health care for everybody is not really worth it because people abuse the system... Some sort of state-sponsored insurance plan is good; it's pretty much the way things should be run in a unique place like the US where it's so varied.
