Hey /trv/ me and a bunch of friends want to go on a cruise what cruises do you think are the best. Also only a few of us will be 21 so we want a cruise that isn't stern on drinking and gambling.

Op here do you know any cruise lines that care about under 21 drinking at the bars. ie do they like card you/make sure you dont buy drinks for your pals. We want to go to jamacia and other islands in the caribbean.

Carnival: Drinking age on ALL ships is 21 -- for all alcoholic beverages.

Celebrity: Drinking age is 21.

Crystal: Drinking ages: hard liquor, 21; beer and wine, 18 minimum depending on location.

Holland America Line: Drinking age is 21 -- all ships, all destinations, all liquor.

Norwegian Cruise Line: Drinking age is 21 -- all ships, all destinations, all liquor. NCL does permit guests between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty (20) to purchase and personally consume wine and beer while on NCL ships with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Oceania Cruises: Drinking age is 18 for all destinations.

Princess: Drinking age is 21 -- all ships, all locations, all liquor.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises: Drinking age is 21 -- all ships, all liquor, all destinations.

Royal Caribbean: Drinking age is 21.

Thanks for the info. I knew all the drinking ages before i just wanted to know if anyone had prier experiences on any ship to see if there were any exceptions/tricks they used to get drinks. Thanks for the input tho.

Yes they card on cruises. You are given a ship card to use on the boat as your tab, this also serves as your id. If the bartender is a real dick they will want to see another form of id as well. I am over 25 but look young and I still get carded every now and then. Even had to prove I was over 21 to stay out past 1:00am to a staff member.

I would sugest you drink ashore with the young ones where the laws may be more relaxed depending on your destinations. Check the laws on the different areas though since some places you really wouldn't want to get caught drinking underage.

find a large group to go with so you can get a cheap price. last January i went with a church group. well over 100 people. spent 1200 including airfare.

And if you're going into international waters (especially if you leave port from another country), only being 19 or 20 is no problem vis a vis drinking and gambling.
