Hi /trv/

I want to do a study/volunteer abroad program in the Summer, however, I want it to be in the price range of $1000-2000, the fee has to include airfare. Also, I want to go to either Europe or an Asian country. Do you guys know any good programs?

You are _severely_ limited.

I realize that, I'm a poor motherfucker.

See The Best Chinese Slums and Workhouses: cost is airfare and any possibility of escape.

Then don't plan trips to Asia or Europe. 1 or 2 thousand will be able to pay for airfare and not much more... probably a day or two's worth of expenses.

Don't even think about coming to europe.

Or anywhere else, for that matter. $2000 won't even buy you four days in the third world.

HAHA, maybe twenty years ago. But you can piss off with your worthless inflated dollars. Multiply by 20-30 or GTFO.

uhhhh actually i spent $1500 total on 3 weeks in Germany, INCLUDING airfare and rail pass.

be fucking frugal. order plane tickets as early as possible, and take the red-eye. stay in hostels. don't fall into tourist traps. don't buy a bunch of fucking stupid souvenirs.

if you're still in high school, i recommend a exchange group such as AFS or Rotary International. Been in europe for 7 months thus far and you pretty much only have to pay for your ticket (you live a family and there are some rules that you have to follow, but i've pretty much broken them all and no one found out...). Also, Rotary has another program if you're in college that sends you abroad as well. I say check them out

they also have some short summer programs I do believe (3 months at the most)
