the Chinese view is...

countries like France, they carved up the country when China was militarily weak. France had colonies in indoChina, frenchmen dicked around in Asia, shootan stuff.

Then the french empire collapsed and lost control of all their colonies. It wasn't out of moral goodness, they just no longer had The Powerrr to do so.

For French to protest China in Tibet, it makes China facepalm in the "you fucking faggot" sort of way.

also, Chinese are not used to being trolled, so trollbait frenchman get them every time. Eventually they will learn, find france, and stick their Penis right up their interbutts.

And a nuclear carrier would deliver a first warning with tactical nukes from Rafale aircraft, IIRC.

It would be interesting, to say the least.

Algeria, Morocco, and Lebanon have tried to keep close ties with France, and historically all those countries were occupied by the french, and although in cases like Lebanon they had to fight a bit to get independance, the French backed out gently enough. (Of course, with Lebanon, it was being occupied along with Syria after WW1, and during WW2 the nazis were in charge)

>>22863

Lol, like the Chinese are going to give tibet any rights.

They're going to flood the country with hans.

It's like as though in WW2, Japan invades and occupies china, kills off all the leaders, and they surrender, but instead of just keeping a military presence they begin immediately to send over millions of japanese, and get them all to have big, 10-20 people families to overpopulate the natives. That is what China is doing to Tibet. The Japanese and Chinese feel the same as the Chinese feel towards the Tibetans (A believes it is superior to B).

And you know what's the most insulting part of all this? Twice the Chinese were under attack by the Japanese in a massive conflict. And in the second time, the US and most of "free" Europe severed ties with Japan, who used to be an ally, then declared war, then fire-bombed Japan, then dropped TWO FUCKING NUKES ON JAPAN, SU annexes two parts of Japan, then finally fucking busts them to the ground to allow China freedom.

And you know what the chinks do right after? The communists win, the real chinese are forced to flee, and from that day on china hates the US.

China = double niggers of the highest order.

Next thing you know, they'll be going "LOL CANADA = NAZI FREE QUEBEC" even though this generation's Québecois seem to refuse independance, and rather want to remain Canadian, albeit in a higher position than other provinces.

>Lol, like the Chinese are going to give tibet any rights.
You realize that the life of the average Tibetan citizen is better than ever under Chinese rule, right?

Before the invasion Tibet was pretty much a feodal state ruled by a caste of monks. The general populace suffered from extreme poverty and illiteracy. Industrialization and science were completely halted by the religious aristocracy. The average life expectancy was barely 30 years!

Children were actually routinely kidnapped by the monks to become servants and such. There was no functional school system - the children of the aristocrats were sent to british schools in India.

One year before the Chinese invasion, Tibet was in the middle of a civil war - fought between two rival monasteries.

>It's like as though in WW2, Japan invades and occupies china, kills off all the leaders, and they surrender, but instead of just keeping a military presence they begin immediately to send over millions of japanese, and get them all to have big, 10-20 people families to overpopulate the natives. That is what China is doing to Tibet
It's true, that was their first "plan", if you will. The chinese have changed strategies now though, instead they are pumping money into Tibet, investing in various civil projects to allow capitalism to play its role. It's kind of like the Anglo-Americans did to the natives.

Nobody in the US knowing anything about military history will tell you that the French can't fight. Their victories in Chesapeake Bay and Yorktown are the main reason the US exist. And some French military units in WW2 earned the PUC (an American medal given by the President).

This bullshit started right after France refused to join the Iraqi invasion, along with the "freedom fries". It was the American equivalent of the Chinese slogans in OP pic, if you like.
Plus anyway, France DID attack Iraq in 1991, when Saddam was much stronger. And they did great.

Yeah, we know that we're ignorant about history, even our own. So, 95% of the Americans don't know shit about this but will still make silly claims.
It boils down to believing either Washington+FDR+Ike on one hand, or Bush. Sadly most people go with Bush. Heck some may not even know who the 3 others were !

>some French military units in WW2 earned the PUC (an American medal given by the President).

Hey, I did my military service in the French 2nd Armored, so I have it ! I wasn't born during WW2 of course, but it's awarded to units, not people. But my own grandfather won it (Strasbourg 1944).

wat. Thousands of Hans are migrating to Tibet every year, the government is pushing them to settle there.

Obviously Tibet is safer now, but back in the day it's not like the Dalai Lama's followers would have you executed for your beliefs, or show up with tanks to run you over. As for civil war, wow, thanks for your propaganda chinks.

Strange, if the life of the Tibetans improved that much, why are they burning Chinese shops and buildings (and occasionally people)?
I saw a documentary about Tibet several weeks before this mess started, the focus was on the daily life of the Tibetans. They found that while Lhasa might offer tons of first class restaurants, nightclubs, etc, the only people able or allowed to use them are Chinese... A Chinese owner of a club laughed right in their face when they asked him if Tibetans ever visited his establishment.

While life in Tibet might not have been very nice before the Chinese arrived, it hasn't improved much, and now Tibetans are treated as 2nd class citizens in their own country.

I never said Tibetans improved; rather I'm saying the financial situation changed, so that the butthurt faggot chink I was replying to would promptly GTFO.

Tibet is like that in reality. If you're tibetan might as well become an hero because you're a slave in your own land.

Indeed. The argument that Tibetan living conditions improved is fallacious. Living conditions have improved all over the world except in Sub-Saharan Africa. (due to AIDS and civil wars)

Countries like Nepal or Bhutan were also feudal shitholes in the 1950s, but nobody denies that they have a right to be independent today. One thing is completely unrelated to the other.

The current Tibetan government-in-exile has modeled itself after European constitutional monarchies, it has its own elected parliament and prime minister.

Well, as a frenchman/frenchy/frenchfag/troll, I'm quite glad of the development of the situation.

About the french help for the american independance, just ask yourself why there are so many cities that are called Lafayette in America.

Also, about the "defeats" of the French Empire... Come on, I won't deny it. We have been defeated sometimes, IN-CRE-DI-BLE... Besides, we lost so much, that's why we still exist, we are so powerful (Even if it's going down these days) and why people are loving so much talking about ourselves.

One more add, about the french colonies, we didn't lose the algerian war. Okay, I admit we were the bad men. But the final reason of the algerian independance was De Gaulle who said one day "I'm tired of these fuckers, let's leave, it's a moneyhole anyway".
Now, ask to Mayotte or the Guyane if they want to become independant. Mayotte, an island in the Comores was asked 3 times about this. They always said they don't want be a part of the Comores. Now, of the 4 islands of this country, it's the most powerful and rich one.
Also, back when Chirac was the President, corsican people was asked about some autonomy. They chose to stay french. It mustn't be such a bad thing.

If Chinks want to baw, they can. They've much more to lose than us. (Lol, technology transfer)
