Round the World Anonymous
I've never been abroad (mainly because I can't stand being secluded with my parents), but I'm now in the process of saving up for a round-the-world holiday.

A couple of friends are taking a trip to Japan next August (by which time I should have £6k or £7k saved), and I'm going with them. When they head back to Blighty, rather than come back with them, I'm going to move on somewhere else.

Just wondering if anyone has suggestions. I was thinking about China, Thailand, Russia, Italy but I don't really have the slightest idea how much money I'd need to sustain myself for a couple of months or anything about travelling alone.

My principle reason for going is to take photographs, with photography being my primary hobby. Anyone know any good places which aren't already swarming with tourists?

Make your way to North Japan, and sail over to Vladivostok in Russia. Then catch the Trans-Siberian right through to Moscow, stopping where you want, make your way to St. Petersburgh and then through the Scandinavian countries. Fly to Edinburgh, explore Scotland, and then travel South to Blighty.
Will cost more than you currently have though.
