ITT: We discuss Airports.

One of my favorites is MDT (Harrisburg International) because of its small size its nice and quiet. Only downside is that its more expensive to fly in/out of it. Plus those rocking chairs they have setup are wicked comfortable.

Least favorite is probably DCA (Reagan National).

I'm willing to bet every single person who has ever travelled by air in the USA has gone through Hartsfield Atlanta

I did, first time I ever took a plane too. It's like Chicago for people taking trains.

I work at CVG (Cincinnati Intl).

My favorite Airport so far is Ontario, CA. Very clean, very nice. Has a magnificent view of the mountains from the terminal.

Most favorite: Amsterdam

Least favorite: Paris

Frankfurt is my favorite. Amsterdam is chill too but I wasn't in there for long.

AIRPORTS ARE HORRIBLE, DON'T YOU SHITCUNTS KNOW THIS
>> Anonymous

which fucking one? One time I was flying back to New York from Morocco with a plane transfer in Paris. Thing is the bitches didn't tell us that the plane from Morocco arrived at one airport and our connecting flight left from the other, which is like an hour drive across the city. It fucked us all up and we missed out plane and had to wait for hours for another one. One of the guys I was with did end up leaving his carry-on bag by the counter by accident and got the whole terminal closed down on a bomb scare though, so that was exciting.

Best: Beijing Capital International Airport
Worst: O'Hare International Airport, Chicago.

Nurnberg airport in germany is my favorite it's so small, never takes me more than 5 minutes to get through securiy. I'm not a frankfurt, partly because it's too big and partly because it's 3 hours away, and everyone fucking flies through there like they have no idea frankfurt is 25 minutes away!! and then of course they want a ride.

my least favorite airport hands down would have to be LAX, only went through once and it was HORRIBLE!!! (and I am from LA by the way, I avoid that place like the plague)
a close second is ROME, i think that place is run by bunch of fucking stoners, planes changing gates every five minutes, and nothing on the monitor at the gate will tell you that!

>>81396
yeah Ontario CA is far supirior to LAX.

>>81397
always hear horrible tings about CGD, neverhad a problem there myself.
and amsterdam seems like the easiest airport hub to do transfers though! so chillax... I wonder why!!

pic related, its amsterdam

O'Hare has NOTHING on MIA - Miami and Rome.

MIA sucks so hard. No one has any clue what shit goes where. 2 lines for security, took maybe 2 hours from ariving at the airport to passing through security.

I FINISHED MY BOOK BEFORE THE PLANE RIDE TO AUSTRALIA

Best: Milan & Frankfurt.

Worst: Atlanta.

Worst experience ever, never heard the dam announcement of our names for our flight. Bitch says we'd only have to pay $130 to reschedule our flight but this other whore says no since we missed our "international" flight (coming in from japan) we had to pay the full price for rescheduling our tickets. Never flying delta again.

I have a flight plan tomorrow that includes Atlanta and Miami back to back. Should I just an hero now?

Hong Kong Intl. Airport is by far the best. It should be the benchmark for which every other airport should aim. It is absolutely faultless.

Heathrow, Paris CDG and Rome Fiumicino are all terrible and filthy. CDG is decent on the airside, but by far the worst on the public side. The bathrooms are full of homeless people washing themselves using the basins, one toilet cubicle I passed had blood everywhere (wtf), the transport between terminals is shit poor, the cafe/restaurant options are crap and hideously overpriced.

Though the Airport (and Air France ground) staff were pretty awesome/professional though. Unlike QANTAS ground staff, which are only employed on the basis they have a lower mental aptitude test score than mayonnaise. THEY'RE SHIT SHIT SHIT SHITSHITSHIT SHIT SHITSHITSHIT SHIT SHIT.... WORST FUCKING AIRLINE EVER

Atlanta Hartsfield is terrible.

I like Newark, particularily, the exclusive Continental terminal. In a citty infested with Niggers, the airport is relatively nigger-free.

shortly after 9/11 i remember waiting several hours to get through security at Hartsfield in Atlanta. The DHS office full of anyone who looked remotely islamic also weirded me out. But it is prob still my fav airport, yes im biased...GO DAWGS!

CDG was fucking aweful, I had to sleep overnight because of my shitty ass flight from Morocco arrived after the trains stopped running. I slept behind these planters that lined the food court. CDG has got to be the most travel unfriendly airport I have ever been to.

anyone else judge the airports washrooms on the condition of the country? i mean the better the washroom..the better the country. the BESTEST airport washrooms were at toronto pearson...the worst was hearthow...for some damn reason.

Worst was Beijing. They have either squatting or normal toilets for international. They also smell disgustingly of asian shit.

He is not talking about Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
He is talking about Ontario, California, United States, stupid.

Toronto airport (YYZ) is the *WORST* airport in the world. You have to pay 300 dollars in TAXES on top of your airfare to fly out of there. Don't ever fly out of Toronto airport (YYZ).

Melbourne's international terminal is my worst, confusing design with a lack of signage and totally inept staff.

Hong Kong's pretty good, but as someone said it's hard to have a favourite fucking airport.

Heathrow is a terrible place. Outdated, crowded, and just an all around terrible place/experience. and while i haven't been to T5 yet, and have no intention of doing so ever (see below), from what i hear nothig has improved. it basically won't until they add a thrid or even a fourth runway.

Manchester is very nice. It has a railway station attached to the facility so you can go directly to the airport from most of Northern England. Also, it is newer, better maintained, less busy, and has bettter queuing theory and traffic theory behind it so things flow better, about as intuitively as is possible for an airport. Now when i want to go to England i go Copenhagen -> Manchester instead of directly to Heathrow. It is about two extra hours in the air, but when you consider that you don't go through Heathrow, or London at all, it is worth it (I am generally headed for Northern England anyhow)

Heathrow Terminal 5 is IMO opinion now one of the best airport terminals in the world. I agree that they do need another runway at Heathrow though and sometimes going to other airports can make more sense.

Terminals 1 & 2 should be replaced by 2012 with one 'Heathrow East' terminal and terminals 3 & 4 are both going to be refurbished. With any luck, Terminal 6 and the 3rd runway should get approved within the next few months. They're getting there!

I don't fly very often but the airports I've liked is the one in San Juan, PR and Bradley International(Hartford/Springfield, I live 10 minutes from it).

I fucking hate Lexington BlueGrass and Cincinnati.

Whoever thought it would be a good idea for people to have to go through security while connecting flights in Philadelphia is retarded.

i love mexico city's international airport (MEX); the new design is pretty cool; with the ambient lights and has lots of fun places to hang out and shop. barcelona el prat(BCN) and paris' charles de gaulle (CDG) are also pretty cool, first one for shopping and the second architecture-wise. I hate the Toronto and Madrid airports; because they are quite boring if you have a long-ass connection flight and the Madrid airport doesnt know shit about organization and the staff doesnt know a thing about what is going on at the airport

I did, once. Only time I've ever literally run to catch a flight.
Said flight also hit wicked turbulence. Thought I was going to die.
