Honeymoon Ideas Anonymous
Alright, so my wife and I recently got married and we're trying to decide on a place to go on our honeymoon. She's Japanese and I'm American, and we were both thinking some place in Europe or the Middle East. Although honestly, I'm open to any suggestions other than the countries both of us are from.

Do you /trv/stites have any ideas?

Greece. Where my parents spent theirs. It was the apex of their marriage. Athens, Salonika, Crete, the whole works.

I would suggest a Meditteranean trip, starting in Spain, travelling along the Costa del Sol into France, along the Cote d'Azur, Monaco, Italy, the Croatian coast and islands, skipping through into Greece and Crete, perhaps finishing at Cyprus.

That'll be my honeymoon anyway.

Egypt. The last time a Japanese couple on their honeymoon was murdered by sword in a terrorist attack there was a little over ten years ago, don't worry.

Lake Como in Italy, with a couple of days in Milan at the end to bring you back to reality.

You're also not far from Switzerland and France or you could travel down through Italy. There are companies that let you hire classic Italian cars, we hired an Alfa Spider a few summers ago.

The scenery is amazing, as is the food (we stayed in Varenna). It's a very romantic place, you also don't really need to know Italian, they're well set up for tourists and very friendly too.
