Travel Sickness Anonymous
Hey /trv/

So rencently I enjoyed a nice vacation in Europe for 5 weeks. Coming from California, the flight was 11 hours and this is where my problem comes in.

I got motion sick both ways and ended up throwing up 3 and 5 times on the way out and back, respectively. It was pretty bad and I ended up pulling a muscle from the heaving. If I try sleeping, I wake up feeling sick already. If I watch the movie, read something, or look out the window, I can feel it getting worse.

I have tried taking a pill to prevent it (Bayer I think it was). I have worn the accupressure wristbands. I have tried this flight on a full stomach, empty stomach, and inbetween (at least on an empty stomach, nothing really comes up, but it is still painful).

I have search through the internet and google for a possible solution. As I noted, nothing seems to work.

Is there anything else else I can do for my next trip across the seas?

Thanks~

ah, well, some people get motion sickness. Motion sickness on planes is rare though...

Only thing I can suggest is a massive cocktail of motion-sickness pills and alot of sleeping pills.

2-3 times the usual dosage of sleeping pills will put anybody into a blissful coma. Get a blind fold, and ear plugs, these will keep anything from waking you up short of the plane landing, or the stewardness lady checking your pulse and yelling at you. Crying babies and shit won't.

IF your blindfolded with earplugs, in a deep sleep, and have taken some motion sickness stuff, its gonna be like your not even on the plane. You'll wake up refreshed, with a large puddle of drool on yourself and your neighbor's lap and hopefully not too nausated or confused.

I don't have any kind of motion sickness, but I drug myself to sleep through any long flight because I hate sitting in one place for more then 20 minutes and I get serious nicotine withdrawl. It should work with your problems, freak.

No motion sickness for me.

Except if I'm trying to read a book in a car. Shit makes me nauseous within ten minutes.

Brilliant response! Thanks for your input. I will be try me best to drug myself into a coma next time I go. It sounds silly but at this point I'm getting desperate.
