Sup 4chan, I'm about to head to Hawaii (from Nashville, TN), and after reading news about customs officers being able to seize and search laptops at the border no questions asked, I was curious if anyone knows if my belongings would be subject to this same fate for domestic flights. I've done some light searching but haven't had much luck.

They will scan every 1 and 0 on your hard drive. Encripted and passworded files will be unlocked. They will then call your mom and tell her each or your porn fetishes.

Do you know what a customs officer is?

It appears as though OPs porn fetishes are exclusively superman related.

I know it's hard leaving the county line for the first time. No, they won't take your laptop. Take up a collection and invest in a travel laptop case, bring it as a carry-on. No problem then. I routinely travel to various countries in Africa with mine, never a problem and these customs pukes are a lot more corrupt than Hawaiians.

security going int o and out of Hawaii is one of the tighetest, you are essentially flying into military installation. Same like Guam.

this is true. they're more strict about physical goods rather than computer data. I've never heard of them doing anything more but asking you to turn a phone or computer on/off in front of them.

Be VERY CAREFUL of breakable things in your checked baggage if you fly out of Honolulu. They use very heavy duty x-ray machines that launch your bag out the other end like a cannon. The machines are next to the ticket lines so you get to cringe along with 1000 of your closest friends.
