Hey guys I'm moving to Scotland next year to study medicine.

Aberdeen, to be exact.
I there anybody here from Aberdeen (or Scotland whatsoever), who could say how life is there?
I'm 18, Russian, no "russky" accent, though, have been studying English for as long as I can remember.
How do Scots feel towards foreigners?
Also, what are the prices for:
1 room flats, internet and food?

Also, is it really a good idea - I mean going to Scotland to study?
The thing is, the only language I'm good at is English, and going to Russia to study would be the equivalent of consciously stepping into a smoking pile of shit.
Scotland intrigued me with its offer of free education for foreign students.

This is only possible because England pays for it.

Aberdeen is fine for a smallish city. Pretty active nightlife if you're into that kind of thing, and two Unis here so lots of students. Scots are tolerant of foreigners, and since your white and speak English you should have no problems. Housing in the UK is pretty expensive at the moment, I imagine the Halls of Residence would be cheaper. Internet - I'm paying £17.99 a month for broadband. Food - depends, a fast food place is maybe 4.30 pounds for a meal and drink.

Yes. Lots of English people move here to study, and they have to pay lol.

The students will love you.

The locals will threaten to stab you.

Relevant to my interests, but can't find anything about it. Is this just for Russkies?

I was at a conference with representatives of other European universities.
The Scottish reps told me about an organisation called SAAS that pays for your education.
