In the past 10 years, India has gotten incredibly westernized thanks to MTV and other western corporations...personally, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, be prepared to see a lot of girls wearing skimpy clothing for example. Also, most people there -should- be able to speak english, now, whereas when I was last there ~15 years ago, no one could speak a damn bit of english.
