if you're going to seoul, you'll be fine. if ou're aian or white, you'll be fine. if you have money, you're going to have a lot of fun. go to itaewon, it's a district of seoul where there are a lot of foreigners. Just get on a train and get off at itaewon.

You should get some traveller's stuff at the airport when you land, like maps in english, etc. You'll find some people who speak English, but a lot of Koreans are wary of strangers.

BTW, the dollar is actually strong against the won right now, cause the korean economy is shit, so you'll actually be getting a really good exchange rate.

If you wanna explore the hip korean places, then go to abgujongdong, myoungdong, etc, but try to go with a korean friend. there's lots of nice restaurants and clubs in that area.

Have fun! Nobody eats dog in seoul, that's like telling people to beware of cannibal rednecks in america.

have fun : )

Mek-ju jus-se-oh

All Korean beers taste like Coors Light, ie shitty.

If you get bad heartburn don't eat a lot of Kim Chi. It can be really spicy. I think it tastes really good though.

soju is pretty good, but it's a lot stronger than it tastes. It'll get the job done (get you drunk) but you'll be pretty unpleasant to smell : / (as with any drunk)

That's funny, my brother has been living in Seoul for a couple of years and he says there's a market he passes by sometimes with dogs hanging in the window.

I'm currently living in Korea. Man, they gotta come to terms with their national "inferiority-complex", and just realize that they can't make up stuff to feel good about themselves.

I have eaten dog in Seoul. Just thought I'd point that out.

Hell yeah they eat dog, gaegogi. Its in like a stew. I've been living here for 2 years and I fuckin' love it. If you're only here for 5 days I doubt you'll dip very deep into korea so dont worry about it.
