There's a ton of stuff to see in the center. It's small, so you could just hang around and visit what seems cool.

The old jewish cemetary is pretty cool, though it's
basically just stones. The castle is cool. There's a lot of museums, like the torture museum if you're into fucked up shit. The old bridge is nice too.

There is a communism museum where they recreated some things like a grocery store, and you can see Lenine's statues and all the stuff of that period. I really enjoyed it. They even have a politic police interrogation room. The thing to notice it that's it's right near a McDonald.

I don't remember all the other things I saw, but as I say just walk in the center, you'll see a lot of things you can visit. I was there three times and sill have things to see.

If you want to drink a beer (and you have to since it's the best beers I drank in all Europe), just don't go in the center. Walk 500m and enjoy half the price of the bars which are in touristic places. BTW, if you're full, say it to the waiter. The use here is that the waiter takes your glass as soon as it's empty and refills it if you don't say him you drank enough.

pic is the clock you have to see in one of the main place

I forgot to had that while you're in the center, just walk. It's small so it's not a problem and anyway it's crowded with tourists in certain areas.
Either way, public transit is good, there's a tram, bus, and a subway. Drivers alway drive like it's a race, you'll be surprised by the speed and driving style in the beginning.

Public transit is good although you can easily walk from the Zizkov tower to the Castle. The public transportation system runs on an honor system where the stations and busses and trams are open, but if you don't buy a ticket from a news stand etc you can get fined big if a transit cop catches you.

U fleku is overrated as is all the "must eat" places are in Europe, but if it is your first time it is a treat. I prefer eating in smoky pubs that are under a meatpacking factory, but thats just me.
One thing that I found fun was the Black light theater which was a very cool show and somewhat unique to prague. Just google "Black light theater+ prague" and you should get a few hits its surreal and awesome

i went to prague through luckily scoring tickets all around europe, helping my brother cover the cup in '06 for GolTV. Idk why I'm posting, maybe as a warning cuz i didn't do much, but i hadn't looked up anything regarding prague in advance and neither had my brother (who did so for almost every other city we visited). The only thing i remember seeing which's mentioned thus far is the torture museum. Besides that, i recall REALLLY cheap accomodations at a badass apt (it was also for sale - 3 stories, really modern interior with crazy boroque outside - $30,000!),getting drunk at the center (near that gilded clock), i remember little else. The city is really into jazz and R&B, i remember that. We went to two jazz clubs which were fun, BB King had just toured Prague a week before. Also the currency reverts to some retarded, unpronouncable, 5 digit bills. Rid of soon enough, i hope.

pic related, gross chinese couple necking on famous bridge. (str8 to /b/)
