Hey guys, I'm headed over to Europe for two months in about a week, and I'm in the process of packing, and I've got a quick question. I'm using the Rick Steves packing list as a reference, and he talks about bringing lightweight cotton pants, and super lightweight pants. I dont really want to wear random cotton pants for 2 months, and as far as I know a ton of people just wear their normal clothing, such a jeans. Do you think that'd work out alright? I know they take a while to dry, but thats ok.

Jeans are cotton.

Dude, people in Europe wear pants too. Bring your normal clothes. Unless you're headed to former eastern block countries. In that case head to the salvation army and buy clothing from there.

Jeans are heavier than normal cotton pants.

I'm trying to keep my mindset as that: bring normal clothes

Depends where you go. For example Rome and Athens can still be pretty hot this time of the year. But if you head for England, Germany or Scandinavia there may also be some days of rain and the nights can get chilly.
I'd say jeans would be the way to go, but I would also pack some lighter (zip-off) pants.

Europeans wear the same clothing as americans.
