Hot tip dickwad:

The Chrysler building is a fairly iconic structure in New York. It is highly featured in a wide variety of classic and contemporary photography and film due to it's unique architecture.

If you had any idea of culture and travel, you'd know that.

Valid point. If someone sees this picture and can't name the tallest building on the left (hell, the tallest building in the pic), they're probably mentally deficient.

Honestly, I have no idea how Sweden as a country is doing. It seems that every two months, the economy toggles between "tanking" and "booming". The job market is supposedly good (or shit, depending on who you ask), especially for young people, but I haven't gotten a job (though I'm still in school).

The weather is ass-backwards, there has been NO SNOW in Stockholm this winter, save for a few days in november and early january. The road administration ought to be happy about this since their incompetence to keep the streets clear of snow won't be utterly obvious this year as opposed to previous years.

But other than that, life here is good. The girls are pretty. In fashion and music, the Swedish scene seems to be where it's at. There are many hot Swedish clothing brands and bands right now. Internet, vidya games, animu and sci-fi is easy to come by.

It's a good country to be a geek in, with a mostly underground but thriving community of roleplayers, card gamers and larpers (not the LIGHTNING BOLT! kind - Swedish larps are Serious Business). Given this, I did not expect that my nationality would cause any surprise - I thought Swedes were pretty common on 4chan.

Attached photo shows one of the staples of the Stockholm geek - the gaming cafe M@trix Web World, easily accessible by subway.

On a side note, three different astronauts were from this county. The most common theory was that it was as far away as they could get.

This place is pretty great because there's plenty to do just here, but if you still feel like it Boston is only an hour away and New York is approx. 3. Plus it takes generally under half an hour to get anywhere you wanna go.

It's nice.
It does have its fair share of problems, like awful traffic and some crime, but overall it's a nice place to live.

Tourists always say it has an awesome nightlife, nightclubs here open at 1 am and don't close until 7 or 8 am, which is awesome if you're into that.

Hard to say, anything close would be a good bet. My family rents appartments near the place, actually. Only thing I can say is to be careful if you plan to choose something around Côte-des-Neiges. It might be attractive since you'd end up with a 20 minute walk away from the poly. On the other hand, it's populated by a lot of immigrants. They can be very annoying if you're unlucky.
