>>68038 yeah, this is true. there's a push to get normal manhattan people to buy luxury condos in harlem...they've really cleaned it up, even gone so far as to change street names to make it more touristy and not ghetto. and yeah, gentrification is happening in places all over the U.S., canada, and europe. chicago is one city where they've really cleaned up...i think there's like, one project building left, and there's plans to demolish it. remember the super bowl in detroit a few years ago? they removed homeless black people from the city by the busload, and never brought them back. and let's just say they were pretty content with what happened to the black population of new orleans in hurricane katrina...made demolishing the projects much easier. i'm glad it's happening though...makes it safer and nicer.
