Studying to become a family doctor Anonymous
Where is the best place in Europe to become a doctor?

My chemistry exam result is 72/100 and I'm taking biology this year and I'll probably get 80-90.

Not the UK.

NHS sucks at the moment.

Scandinavia, probably, but you'll be a civil servant.

From Norway.
I'm trying to get into med school aswell, but the grades needs to be nearly perfect..

.. and it's hard.. I've heard from exchange students that it's harder to get a good grade here than in america.

Well Norway/Denmark I would say. Or well Sweden too i guess, though they get more money in Norway its more expensive to live there so it's pretty much equal, speaking purely of money. I think it's easier to get a job here in Sweden though (they are litterary screaming for doctors and we also have a growing private sector) You are however required to speak/understand the language in a higher extent than other jobs since its about life and death and all that ;)
But i'm warning you, private practitians pretty much earn 10 times more in the good olde US and A (atleast if you're skilled)

USA! USA! USA!

For once, that's not a troll. Most of the best doctors in the world train here, and the exchange rate between the USD and the Euro is pretty favorable, tuition-wise.

Don't you already need a degree to study medicine in America?

BA is fine, as long as you took a lot of "pre-med" type courses - biology, anatomy, chemistry, etc.
