Quebec City Anonymous
This is the Fairmont Le Chateau in Quebec City.

Anyone else been there? It feels more like part of Europe than Canada because everything is so completely different.

And no, it wasn't snowing. I had dust on the lens.

Quebec City is one of Canada's finest cities, Old Quebec is especially a great place to explore. Don't forget about the equally-yet-differently awesome Montreal! It's only 250 km away.

Which would you suggest an english speaking hippie settle in Quebec or Vancouver?

Vancouver's your traditional choice, most of the chilled out hippies are from Ontario sadly, so don't expect any sort of cosmic 70s Nirvana, it's just a big city with lots of weed and a relaxed attitude. Quebec can be slightly unwelcoming to Anglos, but might be more interesting culturally. Hard to say, if and when I move back to Canada I'm torn between the West coast and Montreal myself. I feel pretty confident in saying that neither city would be as bad as I'd be afraid of nor as great as I'd hope.

Montreal was a lot better
