Aussies are generally pretty nice. I remember seeing some sort of list of the top-ranked countries in terms of friendliness and Australia was up in the top 5 somewhere. I think we were third, don't remember too well, but I believe Canada is number 1.
But from personal experience, Australians are definitely very friendly people, particularly in rural areas and on the outskirts of cities.

Well, in America everyone is more or less nice. But for instance, you -could- say that "People in California are nice, but can be a bit stuck up" or you -could- also say that "People from the south are very nice and warm, but some can be slightly intolerant". I'm not saying I do or don't agree with these statements, but I think they could be a better way of explaining how things are.

My experience in Scandinavia has been that most people are very reserved and slightly less open with strangers. They're perfectly friendly, but do indeed take time to warm up to people. I know this has been said before, but I'm just reiterating it because it is quite true.

There aren't many Russians in Siberia either. Or Australians in the outback. Or Argentines in Patagonia. Or Canadians in Nunavut.

What if people from other countries migrated massively to these deserted territories and declared independence? It sets a dangerous precedent.

And last time I checked, 9% of Kosovo's population were Serbs. Just because a territory is scarcely populated or has another ethnic group doesn't mean it automatically has a right to be independent. The history and traditional ties of the territory should also be taken into account.

There's a reason this thing was so controversial.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Kosovo#19th_century

In 1871, Serbs were the majority in Kosovo.
In 1899, it was 50-50.
By 1909, Albanians had outnumbered the Serbs.

Of course, if we go back enough years, every country in the world was populated by other people. The question is where do we draw the line.

Italian here, strongly disagree. I'm from the small town of Lucca, and wherever I've been in Europe, people have never heard of it. The only exception were several French guys (and girls) who not only knew about it, but had their own name for it (Lucques, IIRC) and in some cases knew about as much of its history as I do.

Nobody else does that. In fact in some European other countries not being treated as "an inferior Italian" (or a thief, or a lazy ass) is already good enough.

OTH, they don't take shit from nobody, so if you're trying to start trouble, you're likely to get it.

He comes to our table no more than FIVE minutes after we're seated and we're looking through the menu and the first thing he says after he asks us if we're ready to order (we weren't) is "we close at midnight" (it was 4 in the afternoon).
Not a good first impression, and it didn't get much better after that. I'll give you another example. There was this guy who would stand in front of our building chatting with people every morning. I tried to ask him for directions to somewhere and he just said "I don't speak English." I could see he was trying to mask his condescending tone but it came through anyway. A couple of days later I see him conversing in a somewhat broken English with another tourist. I suppose if I was a hot chick like that girl he would talk to me.

The majority of Parisians are nastier than the rest, but the most interesting and nice French I've met were in Paris. Apparently, the population has reverted to an aristocratic elite and "unwashed masses" like before their revolution, only today it's no longer related to birth, money or race - i.e. anybody willing to make the effort can become the "true Frenchman" after about 30 years of working towards that goal. Yes, but nobody like those in France, too. The taxi drivers are often regarded as scum, as well (they'll try to rip you off if you're not used to euros). Just leave the café and find another with a nice waiter, and use the metro, not taxis. Those are "failed Frenchmen", just people who happen to be born in France - strangers in their own country, in a way. At least culturally.

>I suppose if I was a hot chick like that girl he would talk to me.

>Hungarian civilians bore the brunt of the fighting, as Soviet troops spared little effort to differentiate military from civilian targets.[128] For this reason, Soviet tanks often crept along main roads firing indiscriminately into buildings.

When you listen to Hungarians explain why Russians are hated so virulently there, this will be the most often cited reason. It's why their actions during the Hungarian Revolution of '56 were so unforgivable. No other Warsaw Pact uprising saw such carnage as retaliation.

So when you meet those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly on them. Thereafter either for generosity or ransom, until the war lays down its burden. Thus you are ordered by Allah to continue in carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam or at least come under your protection but if it had been Allah's Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them. But in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.

Hmm, as far as I know, Turkish people are pretty open minded, and well, pretty much standard procedure would work in there if one would want to live in there:

- Learn the local language.
- Dont be ass.
- Theyr country, theyr rules.

Religions aaaar stuuuupiiid.

But back to the topic, Finfags are pretty well, er, lets just say that stereotypics pretty much fit them. Silent and so on...

Turkey is nice if you're a Muslim, otherwise, pick a safer nation that isn't slowly going radical. Still a nice place with only a few honor killings here and there. Fucking Kurds still around, but we'll fix that soon.

One of the best places you can go to is the old slave markets Saudi Arabia. You can still buy women of various ethnic types. Legally, you just call them contract labor that you just don't pay, but you can beat them to death and the cops don't do shit. Saudi Arabia is great place to get rid of spare wife or daughter.

Unfortunately, retards like this are common commodity in Turkey.

Britfag here. Most people are apathetic and uncaring. Maybe they're nice underneath it all but they prefer to ignore strangers unless they're drunk.
