I second San Jose. I'm from CA, but I go to school on the East Coast and have been to a fair amount of places...

Seeing as Manderian isn't even a language, I kinda doubt that. Knowing how to say ni hao and xie xie does not make you fluent.

San Jose's great if you love sprawl.

But hey, lowest crime rate of any large city in the U.S.

Airbus also has multiple factories in UK, Spain and Germany.

While most of the European space industry is in France EADS/airbus has elected English as the main working language to ease exchanges with its German/Spanish/British subsidiary.

Also you can get cool missions in French Guyana (just North of Brasil) where the European space launch bases are located.

space exploration != space commercialization

And the current leader in the latter is not Europe but Russia.

I'm from STL and you could probably find a nice suburban home here and work at Boeing like my buddy's dad did, but they've been down and out for a while ever since they lost that military airplane deal to some European company last year. Like most American businesses they started paying too well and lost productivity-per-dollar so they are on the down.

As for the city itself, it's great if you want to live a family life in the suburbs, but downtown is a waste of time. West/South county and St. Charles areas are typically all white and Catholic, and there are tons and tons of private schools. Very hot summers (tons of humidity) and cold snowless winters are both pretty bad, but you are pretty much exempt of any natural disasters until 2017 when the floods happen again.

obviously Houston would be a good place to go because of NASA, but it's also in Texas- the best fucking place on earth

this guy is mostly right

i'm guessing you'll be working at boeing, which is in the northern part of the county on I-170 past the airport.

living in the city is much more exciting than living out in the county. i attended SLU, which is right in the middle of the city, for three years. the county (at least the parts separated from the city) is offers only the typical suburban delights you'd find anywhere else. some good parts of the city include: central west end, parts near WashU and Forest Park (NOT on the northeast edge of the park, though), u-city, parts of south city, midtown (near SLU), and some other outlying municipalities just outside the city limits. the only shitty part about living in the city is having to deal with the exceptionally retarded public school system there. i would HIGHLY suggest if you have children to send them to a private school.

farther out in the county, be prepared for some shitty traffic. it isn't LA obviously, but a large segment of one of our major highways into the city will be closed for two years starting this past january. the only thing the county has going for it in my eyes are the better schools, since they don't have to answer to the retarded city education authority. otherwise, it's just a bunch of boring white people intent on getting away from the perceived black menace in the city.

living in st. charles county (st. charles city, wentzville, st. peters, dardenne prairie) is for conservative faggots and rich assholes with huge SUVs. avoid it and the hour commute into the city.

>>70937is just a butthurt cubs fan whose team just broke their 100-year curse. if you even care, the sports fans here are the best in the country. the cardinals have won the second-highest amount of world titles, beaten only by the yankees, and the blues (NHL) have never won a stanley cup in more than 40 years but still have diehard fans that are fun to be around.

better than a bunch of chicagoite losers who have an inferiority complex towards new york or a bunch of loud, brash assholes from boston.

Orlando, here.

Lockheed Martin is about 5 mins away from Universal Studios and NASA, of course, is right on Cocoa Beach. But don't be fooled. You will get bored of theme parks after the first year unless you are a serious Disney fag (and if that is the case, kill yourself), and hot girls are not native to Florida, we import them in the form of tourists and they GO AWAY a few days after they arrive.

I visted Colorado when I was a young lass and I still dream of it like it was Heaven. Fuck our humidity, fuck not being able to go up an elevator without getting an altitude headache, fuck not having a decent social scene, having cold weather only 3 out of 365 days.

I can't speak for the minor merits of Denver, but it's got to be loads better than here.

>having cold weather only 3 out of 365 days.

Ahem. There was an additional "fuck" I forgot there.

FUCK warm weather.
