OP is obviously a troll or hasn't traveled anywhere outside the USA. I've met a lot of ignorant fucktards, so option #2 is still in play.
If this is your first time traveling abroad, you are going to get scammed one way or another. Taxi-drivers, hustlers, etc are the universal scourge of the tourism industry. You might as well undergo your right-of-passage in Europe. Your alternatives are Russia, Asia, the Middle-East, Africa or Latin America. All of which are a lot nastier.
You are unlikely to suffer really bad things in Europe, unless you behave like an asshole. People don't like that, so don't do that. Anywhere in the world.
Unlike most of the world, you can usually find someone who speaks a bit of English in Europe. Backpacking through small towns in Eastern Europe is another story and doesn't sound like your cup of tea.
Some regions of Europe have conflicts. They are mostly ethnic in nature and do not concern you. When in a conflict region - don't take sides. As you seem ignorant, I'd advise you to avoid conflict regions altogether.
Carrying handguns is illegal in Europe. Kevlar vests are not on the common market. European girls are low on STDs (with the exception of UK girls) and you can buy quality condoms everywhere.
Once you arrive anywhere - be polite, considerate, learn a few of the local words and don't yell at people.
