Couldn't think of any other place to go, it was either here or /tv/ and I guess posting this here would make more sense.

Well, anyhoo, to put this straight, I need to learn the Russian language as best as possible within two weeks, what is the best way to carry out this task? I tried learning the alphabet, but that is a lot more complicated than I thought it was, though I believe I can get the basics down within a day or two of studying.

The biggest problem I have is memorizing the pronounciations that go with each letter. Are there any good sites on the net for learning this? I already looked but didn't seem to have any luck.

And also, of course is speaking the language itself. Does anyone know of a site where they got a thing where they display each letter and you click on it to hear how it's pronounced? I tried studying the spelt out pronounciations and I'm pretty sure I have them down pat, but I just want to be sure.

If anyone helps, I thank you so much.

I found this site the other day when I was trying to pronounce Kartoffelklöße (German dumplings) correctly. You can switch the keyboard to different countries so that you can type in the different words, or just a single letter and then it will pronounce it. It does have Russian.

this is not the russian alphabet. there are only 33 letters in the russian alphabet.

I would pirate a copy of Rosetta stone for Russian. I used it to learn French pretty well, though I took longer than 2 weeks, I'm sure if you really crammed it would still be effective.

Look around on Pirates bay or another torrent site, your sure to find something

Russian is hard, although not as hard as Chinese or Korean. Probably easier than Japanese too. Congratulations on choosing one of the best languages in the world.
