Best Places to Visit Anonymous
Could we make a comprehensive list of places to visit before we die? I know there are quite a few of these floating around. Most popular being the BBC's 50 places to vist, but what is /trv/'s view on this?
I have unfortunately never stepped beyond my country's borders... I'll list my own places to visit shortly.

1. The pyramids.
2. Stonehenge.
3. Grand Canyon.
4. Great Wall of China.
5. Machu Picchu, Peru.
These are all off the top of my head, but seem like typical tourist traps. Any unspoiled lesser-known places?

At stonehenge, you can arm yourself with a telescopic lens, and take pics of hippies having sex on the grass.

Stonehenge is a total joke. Just remember that the Egyptians had already built the Great Pyramid at the time it was built.

A s aresident of W.Va. Idon't get the hate. No, it's certainly not the best state, but we have some unrivaled natural beauty here. We really can't help that it's poor. The state was quite well off in the early 2t0h century when steel and coal were king. Unfortunately, that economy takned, and the geography isn't condcuive to large urban areas. Still, you'll be pushed to find a kinder population as long as you're not causing trouble. A lot of people here may live at or near the poverty line, btu that doesn't make them the nisane Hollywood hillbilly stereotyp.e

This state has a heck of a lot a problems, but i'ts perfect if you wan tto go somewhere and be elft aloen. And guess what? That's what the residents her echerish most.
