Our hometowns... Anonymous
ITT we discuss interesting tidbits about our hometowns (if they're small), or small towns we've lived in, etc.

My hometown (Shelton, WA) is shown on the background of the DVD menu screen for the movie 'Are We There Yet?' (the background is supposed to be a road map).

Shelton is a town of 8k people, so it's pretty darn small.

Discuss.

Pic unrelated.

My hometown, (Halifax N.S.) has a cemetary for those who died on the Titanic. A bunch of tourists think Jack Dawson from Titanic was real and would leave flowers on the grave of a guy with that name.

In the movie Logan's Run, the compound's 'sewer', which the protagonist dives into, is actually a water garden here in Fort Worth, TX.

It was a lot more beautiful before some idiot kids decided to drown in it.

My city/town (Sudbury, ON, Canada) is the birthplace of Alex Trebek, and is home to the world's largest coin and city-contained lake. It's also known as the Nickel Capital of the world, because, well, it produces a third of the world's nickel.
