I live just outside of Seattle, and yet I've never been there.

Most weekends I spend trolling /v/ and inciting console flamewars, but this time I feel like going outside for a change.

What are some places I should go to in Seattle? What are some of its notorious crimey areas that I should be aware of and avoid? I don't have any friends to bring, so I'd be going alone, if that matters.

I went there once on for what turned out to be a failed job interview. The building was right at the exit of the freeway, and I went straight home afterwards because, at the time, what was I going to do with hardly any money on me? Buy things with a rain check?

So yes, I've been within Seattle's borders one day of my life, but I haven't really SEEN Seattle.

Define "just outside of".
I mean, I live 3 hours away from Miami and I've never been there.

I've been there once but only did the touristy shit except for the space needle because it is so overpriced and not worth it.

I went to the museum of flight, pike place market, took a ferry ride, Sci Fi Museum, and some parks and museums i forgot.

also, Capitol Hill is a good place for people watching.
