Hey /trv/,

European here, I will be going on a trip to the USA soon, we'll be renting an impala and visiting the places on the map to your left.

If anyone has any suggestions about extra stops and places of intrest close to our current route, feel free to enlighten me with your knowledge.

Impala's are nice to drive, but I'd suggest something with a little more oomp if you're travling the South-West U.S.

Anyway, besides Vegas, check out State-Line and Laughlin . They're like a real laid back Vegas. No crazy punks there acting like asses like they do on the strip.

Knott's Berry Farm and basically anything on that street. They should keep you busy for at least a couple days.

Why the hell would you want to drive an Impala? You eurofags should be happy you don't have to deal with the outdated american shitmobiles like we do.

The Grand Canyon? But that's out of the way.
>> Anonymous
OP here, we did the Grand Canyon last year, trip was more northward.

Knott's Berry Farm seems a little dull to make a 300 mile drive for from vegas, but then again, we're gonna be driving to area 51 which is almost just as far. I just wanna see if they really do kick you off the terrain and follow you around to see if you're not a spy or something.

Oh and why an impala? Was the cheapest rental for a 4man travelling party.

Monument Valley is fucking amazing. It's hundreds of miles out of your way, and there's nothing to actually DO there, but it's still worth it. Remember the Spaceman Spiff strips from Calvin and Hobbes? You'll be looking for a zorg around every corner.

Failure, you are basically touring a desert.

The Biosphere is fucking LAME.

I suggest going to the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert National Park instead. That place is just stunning.

the hoover dam isn't really worth it

impressive cement structure to walk around while your skin boils in the +100 weather

Gee, foreign nationals from countries with known derka riot problems renting a car and driving out to Area 51... no problem.

The Payson & Prescott areas both have nice scenery and fishing, but they aren't really tourist attractions like what you'd normally think of.

Its getting towards the end of the season, but there IS some snowboarding & skiing up in the Flaggstaff area, not to mention the Lowell Observatory (http://www.lowell.edu/), which isn't too far from NAU.

>>1465derka riot problems
Most countries, in fact ALL countries in Europe have had no "Derka" riots. Complaints, some protests, but no riots.

But hey, how was that hispanic immigrant protest over in the US? What's that? Police layed into the crowd with stun guns and batons for reasons declared suspect by witnesses both outside the protest and in the media?

"Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, so that we can exploit them for cheap labour and complain incessantly about them."

Lawl, go to Mesa. My girlfriend's hometown. Biggest trailer park in the world.

Your basically touring the middle of nowhere. Hit LA, after Las Vegas.

Or better yet come to the east coast and see some real cities

Seconding all those in this thread, you've picked a strange place to go for a vacation. I hope you like long hours of driving to see more desert.

I'd recommend shifting your trip north, visit Colorado for sure, if you're coming soon enough you could probably still fit in some late season skiing. For there either go through the Black Hills, or visit Yellowstone, you'll see lots of beautiful scenery that way too, and you'll find there's a lot more to do.

You get anywhere near area 51 and the military will be on your ass. They'll give you a warning first. If you continue to advance they will snipe your fucking head off.

What real cities on the east coast? New York? Philly? Cause that's all that's over here. New York is fine, but Philly is just a mini, shitty version of New York.

You ARE touring in the middle of fuckin nowhere, though. Which is fine if you like that type of shit. If you want to be near civilization, skip to Las Vegas then add Los Angeles and San Diego to your trip.

You can also go to San Francisco if you wanna go that far north.

Ignore the advice about LA, unless you enjoy concrete and running into tons of other tourists. LA is just gross. San Diego, on the other hand, is beautiful.

Dont judge Texas by El Paso,

It sux there.

Also, the four corners is something semi cool.

Visit teh grand canyon. Its a site to see.
