some chunks of Santiago are horrible shitholes and you should stay clear of them

If you're American, just whip out your cock and wait for someone to suck it.

They did it with Pinochet, and I don't thing anything has changed since then.

you're pretty much wrong.

chileans absolutely hate americans for the whole pinochet thing and there's a lot of xenophobia in some areas of the country

I concur. Only far-right nuts love Americans there.

basically, just like in most countries, you'll be better off pretending to be Canadian

Falsehoods. Really, only dickheads that get all excited about politics hate people of different nationalities just because of their government.

Chileans are mostly mixed. But people from the upper class tend to be whiter, like in Central America.

Argentines and Uruguayans are mostly white, kinda like Canada.

Brazilians are a huge tossed salad with nigras, whites, and mulattoes in the mix, but the south of the country is very white.

Pic related.
In before "lol wikipedia".

My grandfather lives in South Brazil. Owns a ranch outside of Campo Grande. He just chills out and lives off his Airforce pension and a side job crafting contact lens.

Owns a big ass villa with two servants. The locals still refer to him as the "crazy gringo" cause he killed his neighbor's buffalo with a fuckin spear because it broke his fence.

He's kinda fuckin crazy, cause he was in the Nam' but whatever. He loves it there though.

I recomend spending time up north and south of Chile. The south of Chile is amazing, great landscapes, lots of national parks to visit and the seafood is good and cheap. Its winter right now, so I recomend spending most of your time up north. I think its rather stupid to give generalizations of a society's "personality". So I'll let you make your own conclusions.

Chileans speak fast and use slang, although if you know some spanish you should be fine. A lot of Chileans speak basic english, too. Chile,
