Since the world is apparently on a one-way trip to hell and Amerikka seems to be leading the way, I wish to get the fuck out of here. However, I have way too many places in mind and no idea where to start, hence, my predicament. Can 4chan help narrow things down by listing some good, stable countries that are still not on the road to social and economic chaos, or even better, suggest a way to fulfill the ultimate fantasy: the ability to truly live *anywhere* in the globe? Is a bank account in Switzerland, a yatch, and a fistful of euros the only way, or has the collective known as Anonymous found another route to this ever-elusive destination? Just wondering.

South Pole, North Pole. Take your pick.

Any half-decent country that isn't economically tied to America? Hmmm...
>> Anonymous
Sorry. America is still, for better or for worse, THE indicator of global affairs. Right now we're in a minor dip, I personally think it'll bounce back up, but if it doesn't, the rest of the world's gonna get hurt to. Might as well ride it out somewhere you like.
>> Anonymous
Nothing going to happen, fag. Just because gas prices are 4$ a gallon and the real estate market is in a slump doesn't mean America is going to turn into some 3rd world hellhole.

If America does, then any other country in the world will be fucked too. Even if they only have a minor dependance on us, their economies will domino effect and they'll be fucked even worst then it would be in the US.

Better find a chunk of farmland in South America and eek out a living dirt-farming if you want to avoid some kinda imagined bullshit you think your going to avoid.

Hong Kong, UAE, Russia all have bright futures. Could you be fucked learning Cantonese, Arabic or Russian though? Could you deal with living in an Asian concrete jungle, the desert, permafrost?

By the sounds of it you want a country that is first world and relatively easy to adapt to. That also speaks English. Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia. Take your pick. Protip: Australia is the easiest to get into.

America is going to soft land, thus decreasing the damage in other countries. People will not feel it so hard.

Australia, Canada or Argentina.

You forgot Beliez They speak English there, kinda, and everything is really cheap.
>> Anonymous
>>32024

You do not need Arabic to get by in the UAE. Arabs run the place but the place is 100% segregated. Urdu and Hindi both probably outnumber Arabic speakers by a significant margin, not that you need to learn those languages either.

Anyway that place is undergoing a ridiculous investment bubble and it's not really safe to assume anything about the future. Things may work out well, or they may not. Temporary wealth from massive speculation is not the same as a healthy economy.

Hong Kong... Cantonese? Yeah no English speakers in Hong Kong, English was outlawed in 1997 </sarcasm> Probably the safest economic future of any of your suggestions, though.

Russia is the only place from the above where you really need the local language, and it's still a third world country with unbelievable crime. Move there if you want to shoot past the whole "decline" thing and enjoy a medieval hellhole right away. And if you're going down that road, I'd suggest India instead as a promising third world economy. They actually believe in democracy there, they have good food, warm climate, and they speak English to boot.

OP here.

Just to clear things up, no, I don't believe the world is coming to an end, and Amerikka will soon be featured in World Vision infomercials. We'll probably make it, butthurt and a little sore. Is not like Europe is in better shape, anyway. Still, I do wish to get the fuck out. Not my kind of place anymore. Of your recommendations, Hong Kong, I like, but I hear pollution is a bitch, not to mention fucking expensive. The Emirates are nice if oil money doesn't dry up. Oz, don't think so. Everything points to a major crisis down there. Turkey is really nice, from what I hear, but it's not exactly a Western society, so quite a few things to get used to. Wouldn't mind visiting, though. Thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em coming, if you can.

This.

Developed western countries with little population, large territories, and located far away from all conflict areas.

You will give up in the first day because of Turkish toilets. It always makes me laugh when outsiders bitch about them.

I'm turkish and the last time I ever saw one of those was when I went to northeast five years ago.

Actually, Turkish toilets are better than euro ones because they have water jets to clean your ass like the jap stuff, other than that, it's the same.

Turkey is a shithole, why the fuck are you even mentioning it?
88% literacy rates, millions of people in dire poverty, few university graduates, and an army that is eager to stage a coup to remove the islam-friendly government.

Dostum kanaatimce evden d??ar? yeterince ç?km?yosun. Çünkü Türkiye'nin her yerinde umumi tuvaletlerin %90'? (tatil mekanlar?, büyük ?ehirler, vs dahil) alaturka.

In other words still most of the public toilets use those because people don't want to sit on western style toilets which butts of zillions of people touch a day. He's not aware of it coz he's a basement dweller fag who hasn't left his room for 5 years.

I never encountered alaturca toilets in any hotel I went, and I do go down south every summer to a different place. The only public toilets I see are the ones in my university and they too are "western style". I'm not saying the old-school toilets don't exist, it's just that you don't have to use them if you're in Turkey, it's easily avoidable.

UAE's oil is drying up already.
In fact, Dubai's oil money dried up ages ago. That's exactly WHY they're going for this touristy/businessy/servicey/constructiony boom.

Still, it's paradise for Western foreigners. You can make a pretty decent living just teaching your mother tongue (provided it's a common one) without any certification whatsoever and most urban folk will suck your cock (figuratively AND literally) due to immense self-hatred.

And Americans wonder why Canada has strict immigration laws.

If you think it’s any better in the eurozone, do yourself a favor and buy a gun in the States. Then use the gun to kill yourself. Between the trash in Italy, the unemployment in France, and the 50-year ARMs in Spain, there’s not much to look forward to.
