>>50554 It rained almost every day in Alaska and our floatplane excursion was canceled, but the ship was awesome. The crew, especially the waiters, were friendly, and the food was ridiculously great, in both quantity and quality. It was my sixth cruise and it was my favorite.
Celebrity - Fancy, great food, great accommodations, a little pricey, better for older families or couples, overcrowded by the elderly, very small rooms, crew is very polite and loyal, entertainment was very good
Disney - shitsux, great for families with small kids, food was crap and the portions were smaller than small, private island is really nice though, moderate-sized cabins, crew are stupid and "mushy," entertainment you would expect from Disney but still good
Carnival - great for big families, very family-focused, decent itinerary, on-ship activities are fun and plentiful, moderate-sized cabins, crew is someone insensitive and not very friendly, entertainment was very enjoyable
Royal Caribbean - great for all families of all kinds, guaranteed to feel spoiled and / or pampered, great on-ship activities (limited on the Alaskan itinerary, but plentiful on the Caribbean itinerary), crew are very sensible and enjoyable, great food, beautiful ships, fancier than most but not as "fancy" as Celebrity, crew sometimes goes a bit overboard (no pun intended) to meet your every whim, Port and Shopping guide was a bit of a douche (on the Alaskan cruise I was on, not the other one; he was living up to his name: Chad Lawless), entertainment was a bit lackluster (minus the guest comedians)
