Hello.

I know this may be a strange question for /trv/, but I want to know, what foreign language do you think I should learn?

I already am trying to learn Esperanto.

No way am I going to learn Chinese, French, Spanish, or anything African. Those languages are stupid.

But Esperanto is great and totally useful!

Sorry, I didn't mean Esperanto was stupid. Just those other ones I said.

OP has to be a troll. There's no way someone could say that three of the most commonly spoken languages in the world are stupid, and still be learning ESPERANTO.

Esperanto isn't even a real goddamn language. OP, where do you think you're ever going to use Esperanto?

Gosh, now I feel like a freakin' idiot 'cause of you.

I would like to argue the case for learning Esperanto as the international language. It is a planned language which belongs to no one country or group of states.

Take a look at www.esperanto.net

Esperanto works! I've used it in speech and writing in a dozen countries over recent years.

First learn one language. Then another. You will know which one. And it will be Spanish, puto.

Yeah, learn English and Spanish. You can communicate with just about everyone in North and South America with those two.

Learn French if you want to speak to Haitians, Quebec...people, Frenchmen or Africans. I'd rather not talk to any of these people, but thats up to you.

Russian is alot like other slavic launguages, which is nice. German is a useless launguage to learn, because anyone worth talking to in Germany already speaks English anyways.

Mandarian is a bitch to learn, but thats about 1.2 billion people you can converse with.

As for Esperanto? Only people I know of that really speak that are HAM radio hobbists, which isn't even very popular in America.

Maybe the writing system, not the spoken part.

Mandarin IS a bitch to learn because it's so different from English. Just like how English is a bitch to learn for 1.2 native Chinese speakers.

No idea why OP thinks that Chinese, French and Spanish are stupid since they are some of the most widely used languages in the world. From a practical point of view, I'd say those ARE the very languages you should learn.

Esperanto is used by merely hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Compared to the billions of people speaking Chinese and Spanish, it's almost pointless to learn Esperanto.

LOL @ esperanto. It's cool, but it's total fail

No one uses Esperanto, except in that movie with Shatner. If you want to learn a made-up, universal language, you should go for Interlingua.

Or, better yet, you should KILL YOURSELF YOU STUPID SHITSTAIN.
