I'm screwed.

I need to get out of the USA because there's no opportunity here. I'm trying to raise mys kids, live a respectful life, I've been good but 15 years ago I was convicted of a felony. Now I'm on the registry and can't hardly live. I've lost my plush job, my home and now I'm living off my retirement, moving around from place to place. I need to suport my kids.

I know many countries wont have me but if anyone knows where I can go and become a citizen, I wouuld be greatful. BTW: We love the beach and the kids like warm to hot weather.

Choose two.

sounds like a pedo who kidnapped a couple of kids and needs a quick way out

1. Raise my kids.
2. Live a respectful life

There's two.

Why did you ask?

No, not a pedo.

Once again I have made a mistake by coming here with this shit.

You basically need to research which countries won't require a police report from your home country or run your passport against INTERPOL when you apply for residency.
>> Anonymous
i think the question here is, which countries don't pay much attention to criminal records.

Depends on what the felony was. Drug related? If so, you're probably stuck in the US.

Any Grandparents from different countries? You can apply for citizenship in the countries they're from.

What did you get convicted for?
To be honest, it sounds like you're kinda stuck in the US.

Philippines is not the best citizenship option, as they tax global income for non-resident citizens.

Well the OP would be a resident in the Philippines so it wouldn't really matter?

Also when you want to travel back to USA you can just renounce your citizenship in the Philippines.

I was addressing OP's question of citizenship, which != residency. While there, certainly would be a resident for tax purposes.

Also, the goal isn't less citizenships, but more. Renouncing a naturalized citizenship is a bit self-defeating.

Sex-Offender Registry?

You'd get denied to 99% of countries even for tourism, sorry.

Flipfag here, living in the Failippines is fairly cheap, you can get an apartment for less than $200 USD a month, but if you plan on supporting your kids, at least try and can a job so you can use the money to send your kids to private schools (public school education is beyond shit).

Try a pacific island. Rarotonga is nice and their small population probably won't matter. Nice climate year round. Maybe Tonga or Samoa or other islands around there.

Brasil is fun if you don't mind being a bit of a serf.

I have some answers for you but I refuse to suggest them until you tell us what you have done. I won't hold it against you (how could I?) but I want to know since it helps narrow down options for you.

He says hes on the registry, so he's probably some sort of sex offender

No other country will take him because he is a sick man and noone wants to waste their resources on him

>Brasil is fun if you don't mind being a bit of dead.

fix'd

Long story short OP, you're going to have a fucking hard time getting out of the US and even if you do, none of the countries that will have you offer any more opportunities than the US.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you don't speak any foreign languages which limits your options even more. If you want to get a job in a foreign country, you'd better speak the language.

You have children, unless you want them to be felons, you need to give them a consistent place to live and provide for them. If you have a degree, there's hope for you yet; if not, either start going to night school or accept the fact that you're an unskilled worker with a criminal history and that your life isn't going to be easy... But you can live vicariously through your children, who will have recognized your valiant struggle to work 60 hour weeks at the walgreens to put them through law/medical school.
When they accept the Nobel prize, they'll be sure to mention that you were and still are their hero.

Try debt collection, repossession, bounty hunting...

Decent paying jobs that are full of people with criminal histories.

>When they accept the Nobel prize, they'll be sure to mention that you were and still are their hero.

Oh please, you know the Nobel committee will repeal their nomination as soon as they find out that their candidate is the child of some molester. Nobel Prize has had enough scandals as it is.

...ah who am I kidding. OP's kids will steal cars and whore themselves on the corner, except for the golden child who pulls his/her life together and scores an assistant manager position at taco bell.

well, you shouldn't have committed the crime to begin with. Take the DeLorean back in time and prevent your crime from happening. otherwise, you're screwed.
