What's the best profession for someone who can't live without traveling all the time? Doesn't matter if it's ideal because you don't have to stay in one place or because you get to go on long business trips all the time. And preferably something that isn't a shit-job like a steward or some shit.

International business? Hell, I'd like to know as well. I'm dying to get out of this hole in the wall consulting firm and see the world myself.

Give me something with a nice salary.

You don't need to join the French Foreign Legion to travel. Just join your national army, especially if you're an American or a Brit. No shit. Just suck up to your commanders and generally bitch and whine about getting sent overseas. Not in any military forces myself, but IIRC that's generally how it works.

Botanist (Lots of remote area travel)
Zooologist (Enjoy your Kidnapped-By-Poachers)
Anthropologist (Best way to get to travel to foreign Urban areas)
Industrial Inspector (Big Oil has alot of these flying around, mainly to south asia and africa, any other business gets you India/China)
Competitive Athlete ("Eating" is a competitive sport with international events, some cybergames are beginning to become international, Beijing will have an epic international tournament just prior to Olympics)
And, as always, Inter-Corporation Sales & Presentations (You're mainly looking at General Electric for this one; any major wide-scope equipment manufacturer, as well as any major business computer hardware/software developer like Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, etc.)

Oh, and any vehicle manufacturer, but not just cars/trucks. Caterpillar and John Deere also do major overseas IIRC (mainly as part of trade missions). I think it was that John Deere will get you South America, Caterpillar gets you Japan/Europe.

Your national army doesn't get to go to Brazil, and Africa, and Indonesia. Though I will admit doing the FFL solely for travel is a bit out there.

Anyways,
-Epidemiologist
-Cruise ship tour guide
-Airline pilot
-Entrepreneur

You could try being a journalist if you like writing.

Pay is pretty crap usually, but if you're a travelling reporter it's a lot better.
