Is backpacking in southern Spain a good idea? I'm ignorant regarding the availability of public lands on which to hike and camp and how expensive rural Spain is. Also how hot it gets during mid-summer. Does anyone have experience traveling the Andalucia region?

Andalucia is like 30 degrees (celsius of course) in March so it's gotta be ridiculous in the summer.

I'm sure there's campsites around. Go to Seville once or twice and see some bullfights. And don't forget "Bocadillo de jamon y queso"

For those /trv/ellers that don't speak spanish, "bocadillo de jamon y queso" means "ham and cheese sandwich."

"besso negro" means coffee, get one every morning

I've met girls from a few EU countries, and while they all appreciate a guy that tries to speak in their language, the Spanish girls get absolutely wet over it. Also, age of consent is 16 in Spain.

You might die of dehydration.

Just so you know.
