Greetings /fa/

I want to visit England, but not London. I have already been there before and now I want to see the rest of the country. What other interesting places are there? I've heard Bath has lots of Roman stuff.

Fuck England.
Go to Scotland (or at least as far north as you can).

Oh.
There is that, but for the most part London is a sty of shit; if you happen to find yourself there (bad luck), I would recommend hitting the Imperial War Museum, the Prince Charles Cinema (in Leicester Square), getting the fuck out of there, and has anyone else noticed that this isn't /fa/ (or is it)?

Cambridge. Pretty, historic etc.

I'd like to visit "England" too, but I'm afraid of the food.

Fish and Chips? Sandwiches?

It's ok we have Subways and McDonalds on every other street now.

Also fish and chips is tasty.

If you can, go visit the Lake District in Cumbria. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

Or the Yorkshire Dales. Preferably both. British cities are fine, but it's the countryside that's really special.

Pub food's generally pretty good, really, if you're not into the fish and chips stuff. Other than that, go for the Indian option, it's probably easier on your wallet and your palate as well. Not extremely authentic, but better than an endless stream of kebabs and burgers.

London's fine, if you like drinking and fighting.

Bring a posse of friends and clean up the Chav problem. You'll probably be knighted.

Too bad it's illegal in America to have a title. :(

Come to the West Midlands. I live in Shropshire, and if you're coming here for a week or two you'll have enough to do. Lots of history, like the Ironbridge (pictured) which comes with ten museums, Shrewsbury, which was an important town in the 16th Century which has a lot of nice shit in. You can easily catch trains to Wales, which has lots of places to visit, or Birmingham which is good for shopping or catching trains to elsewhere.

There's a lot of countryside here but you're not going to be lacking for places to visit or towns to be in. It's quite a nice area, really.

Go to Cardiff and see where they film Dr. Who. Tell the locals that their rugby team sucks.
