Actually I was trying to be serious, but after I compiled the list I realized it does look kind of absurd.

Obviously nobody would get married just to learn a language. But I'm considering marrying this Italian girl I'm seeing, and getting lang. practice every day would just be a fringe benefit. If you can find a similar situation all will be well.

Don't marry them. Just have a relationship for a while until you're good. There's no point marrying them simply for the sake of learning a language. Get them to teach you how to cook Italian style as well.

Go the country of origin and live with locals. Believe me it works insanely well. I learned Luxembourgish in about a Month and a bit.

Take classes, simple as that. It's the only effective way to begin with.

Immersion. Living in a place that speaks the language. Listening to music in that language. Watching movies in that language. Before you know it, you'll be thinking and dreaming in your new language. Takes about three months.
