Hello Anon, i'm in a shitty situation.
My biological father is Nigerian, and my parents got divorced when i was a small kid because he was a terrible man, he treated me and my (white) mother like shit. The divorce was very hard because he was Islamitic and didn't want one, but eventually succeeded because he was an abusive man. So of course she later remarried with a white guy and all was good again. But when i became 18 the Nigerian dad found me, showed up several times claimed he "changed", you know the deal... nice guy, wearing suit, giving me some pocket money for me every visit, regretting his past, stories about how he became successful, that kind of thing. 60% of the conversations he tried to convert me to Islam though =/. Personally i think he's full of shit, he rarely calls me and when he does it's always "I've been busy with my business here in Nigeria/i had an accident" or some other excuse and afterwards he asks me when i'm coming over to visit the family lol..

I don't trust him because
A, if he's so rich why doesn't he have an email adress? Especially since he "has a successful company."
B, he says it's not easy for him to wire money to european banks.

Anon, i'm pretty positive he is full of shit but is there any way/service to check if he has a legitimate business in Nigeria? He lives in "Borno State" which according to google is a farmer community. So a huge company there doesn't really make sense.. half the time i call there the phone doesn't even work. Oh well! ^^

Call the nearest Nigerian embassy. They may be able to help you out.

yes i posted this a year ago reason i digged this up is because my father called me today for the first time in 2 years he said he been busy with work all this time :/ i'm working on a list of questions for him, got any suggestions/questions i should ask him?
he says he doesn't got an emailaccount. which to me is strange if he really does have his own business. it being nigeria is no excuse i saw that there are internet cafes there

Try to convert me to islam.

OP is being Nigerian scammed by her own father.

Srsly now, check with the local chamber of commerce, if a company exists, it must be registered there.

He's nigerian and muslim.
1) Don't go to Nigeria, they still participate in slavery for fucks sake.
2) Have you ever read ANYTHING about islam? It isn't exactly nice to females.

OP: You're half-white, which means you're going to be immensely more attractive then any of the locals by pure virtue of your lighter skin hue, regardless of how your face/body look.

I'm not being racist, it's just a fact that most of africa is obsessed with lighter skin color, in fact there was a recent article in some major paper here about a woman in africa that has different color patches of skin all over her body after an attempt to turn herself white fucked up.

Basically, he's probably going to sell you as a sex slave.

am i the only one that is getting this...?

Nice try but you're no barack obama.
but its a nice way to put things into perspective. it makes you realize that just because someone's father does something, it does not necesarily mean you're associated with those same things or even support them.

call him on his bullshit then tell him you're coming for a visit and want to check out his business etc and if he comes up with more crap then just ignore him

he's probably trying to use you as a gateway into europe

You don't need to go to sketchy developing nation with sketchy dad to find out if it's legit. Like someone already suggested, call the local place of records and inquire about the business.

OP, whatever you do don't let him take you to a muslim country. He'll have your passport and marry you off to a camel fucker in the desert. Stay in the civilised west.

i didnt suggest actually going, just leading him along and see if he comes up with more bullshit

This, you're lucky to have got away from the shithole, don't go back there, especially seeing as you're a woman. It sounds like your father isn't worth the time, let alone the risk. Keep safe, and let him pay for his mistakes.

Also >of course she later remarried with a white guy and all was good again

lol'd

I wouldn't go. Nigeria isn't safe, nor is your father. Get your pocket money, buy some delicious cake and enjoy.
