/trv/, I've been travelling all my short life. I've been to most european and american big cities and many mediterranean countries on packet-tourism vacations. I've grown bored of them now, though and inspired by one of our best tv-shows I've been wanting to go on a backpacker styled trip to more deeply learn about local culture and lifestyle for many months.

So, what would be the best destination? I'm up for any ideas.

Pacific Crest Trail in western USA. I hiked a couple legs of it in Washington. beautiful, and no civilization for about 1200 miles.

I've been living in Adelaide for most of my life and I can't think of enough things to do that will take up more than a weekend.

Can you guys be a little more specific? Like good cities and regions. Also reasons of why they're nice would be awesome.

I've been thinking about somewhere in asia or south america.
