I plan on going to Japan for 15 days in Jan, 2009. I'm thinking of mainly staying around the Tokyo area and whatnot.

I don't want to come back broke as shit. Anyone got any suggestions about me being a Jew while I'm over there?

capsule hotels ftw.

Capsule hotels are expensive. They're just a novelty for stupid foreigners.

Sleep in internet cafes. They're cheap, around Y3000 a night, and you get drink bar and internet.

I spent 4 months in Japan. I wouldn't just stay in the Tokyo area because you'll be missing out on a lot of neat things. Two weeks is more than enough to get a JR pass (Japanese subway/trains) and travel to different parts of the country. You can basically sleep in them while you're on board. Go to Asakusa, Hiroshima, Osaka, and Akihabara just to name a few. You would want to travel to as many places as possible. If I were you, I'd stay away from the Roppongi area. Manga cafe's are pretty sweet.

New Sanno Hotel.

That's where I always used to stay.

No, they're really not.

Well, at least stay at the Manga Cafe for the experience. Besides, they're more affordable. He said he didn't want to come home broke.

Yeah definitely stay at a manga cafe. I loved it, it makes you feel like a broke adventurer haha.
