I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask, but I cant think of any other place on here that would let this kind of post besides /b/, and that place is too much of a hellhole.

Ive really been looking into this college, and I was just wondering if anyone who goes there now could shine a little light on what its really like and not the crap those rep salespeople tell you.

Mainly Ive been really worried about how fucking huge it is. Does it feel really impersonal? Are there a lot of frats and social events like that?

More specifically, whats the computer science program like?

I just started as a freshman. Community is good, at least if you join a Freshman Interest Group and/or stay in the residence halls. Lots of social stuff goes on in the dorms and there are things going on all the time at the Husky Union Building.

Pretty cool so far.

Hows the commute to Seattle? Is it seriously just outside the city? Is there a lot to do around at night besides bars?
