Was in London not too long ago, and I gotta say that bobbies are awesome. Always willing to chat and help give directions. Wonder if they get paid so well to keep them in such a good mood.

Dude, Policemen are always friendly to foriegners, and European police are nicer then American cops anyways.

The police are not worried about outsiders breaking laws, and even if you do, they won't be pissed off like if you were a native.

I noticed when I lived in Germany, the worst the police would do to a non-German is yell at you, wag their finger and look at you in a concerned manner.

American police and european police have very different cop-cultures.

also true for the US, when i was caught speeding in Arizona ( i mean theres like none on the road, why only dirve 110 kmh or so ) he just looked at my german drivers licence and told me slow down, nothing but.
