>The only thing about Globe Trekker I will complain about, is the fact that they generally enjoy really high-quality stuff. Sometimes they go to extremely expensive hotels, go on expensive safaris and other stuff the average vagabond could never hope to do.
When I watch it, it feels more like they're telling you how to get nice stuff on the relative cheap, if you're willing to step off the beaten path. After all, there's a million travel shows that tell you about bed and breakfasts in fucking Italy or ocean-side bungalows in Brazil, but how many shows give you info on how to have a good time in Romania or Colombia? It's the fact that they put a face on places people don't often go, and often have a much better exchange rate for budget travelers, that I find to be really cool.
