So whats it like living in Canada? I'm thinking of moving there in a year or so (need 3 more points). I speak fluent French but I learned it in Belgium and I take it the French in Canada is slightly different...I'm looking at either Montreal or Toronto...I'm a Brit but I've lived abroad for most of my life so...
well, if you like french and english i would go for quebec city (pop= half-million)
Montreal and Toronto are cool, but Montreal is cheaper. Though Quebec French sounds fucking awful. It is to French what the southern-US accent is to English.>>74739700,000.
>>74739are you implying that almost nobody speaks French outside Quebec?
i'm from toronto, and it's just like living in new york...since i'm a big sports guy, i couldn't see myself living anywhere else.but if you like relaxing and oceans and shit like that, try vancouver or halifax. montreal is also really cool, but only for a little while.
>>74746>>toronto...just like living in new yorkNo it isn't. Its more like Chicago (built form, architecture, size) crossed with San Francisco (gays, politics, culture, ethnic makeup).
Turns out if I apply for the Quebec skilled worker visa I already qualify...Anyone want to warn me off Quebec?
Ayn Rand fags should not move to Canada. We don't need your stupidity.
>>74758If you like Ayn Rand... Canada is not the place for you
>>74807True. Go to Somalia instead.
