why is europe warmer than north america?i mean, london is further north than the us northeast, but has warmer winters. also, madrid is on the same latitude as new york, but has no snowfall.is there a logical explanation to this variation between european and north american climate?
>>63057the earth doesn't spin perfectly on the equator.
The topography probably has something to do with it.
Bitches don't know about our... ocean current... that makes... water.. warmer around here... Ah screw it, I can't remember it's name.
>>63063Gulf Stream. But I don't know whether it's warm enough to heat up anything beside the UK.
Water is a temperature regulator due to it's high specific heat, thus areas closer to oceans will not be excessively hot not excessively cold. The US does not have this property because of it's size, most of the US is inland so it receives no such benefit.

>>63064Apparently it's the only thing keeping Scandinavia from freezing over completely.
>>63064Without it scandinavia would be covered in a few hundred meters of ice like during the ice age.
it also has to do with land and air masses as well. This is why Southern California has a Mediterranean climate while Florida does not. It's a similar climate in Western Europe.

Ocean currents, nigger. Warm waters flow up to Europe, chill in the Arctic, then come down North America. Or warm air coming up from the tropics.tl;dr North America gets cold shit while Europe gets warm shit.
