so I have a choice to go to either Japan or China at the end of this year for a business practicum.

but I am torn over which I should go to. I've already been to Japan for a homestay, and got stuck with some faggy twelve year olds. I've never been to China, and I think either would be good, but I'm leaning to China.

is Japan gonna be easy to survive for a foreigner like my self? I have a very basic grasp of japanese, so I can get around, eat, etc etc.

point is /trv/, which would you suggest?

China.

Less expensive than Japan and the people are very nice.

Recommend Shanghai Beijing,Qingdao, Hangzhou or Hong Kong. All are beautiful port cities. Hangzhou or Qingdao if you don't want the bustle of huge metropolises like Beijing Shanghai or Hong kong. Plus Hangzhou was like the 2004 or 2007 number one travel destination for Chinese vacationers don't know about international.

Another good place is Hainan Island. its like China's Hawaii

Places I mentioned are all Chinese cities.

Uhhh Chinese cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Hong kong and japanese cities like Tokyo have mostly bilingual signs in English and Native language. You just need basic Japanese or Chinese "hello, do you know where i can get to ___? " or one of those travel books. They will usually have translations for popular sites and u jsut tell the taxi driver to go there.

I know they're all chinese cities. I was asking if it'd be easy to get around, since I'd been taking Japanese sicne grade 10, and that seems like it'd be useless in a chinese city.

translation book, got it.

I haven't been to either, but I say if you've been to Japan and not China, then I would go to China just because you haven't been there yet. Get on that visa, son.
