I'll be renting a car to drive around in Ireland. But my main question, is it really necessary to have all those additional insurance coverage? I'll be having the car for like 2 week, and it'll go around $360(in b4 ecksbawks) but with insurance and under 25 charges(lol sucks being 24) it basically quadruples to like $1300 laaaffo.

I'm a good driver, never been in an accident in my life (knock on wood), and I'm sure I'll be paranoid when driving in Ireland for the first time until I get used to it.

So has anyone one of you had any experiences with rental cars?

use public transport, it's cheaper

It may be cheaper, but I still prefer to drive at my own pace, no time hassle, getting lost, missing a bus/train, standing around. Plus I want to see more than what's limited to public transportation.

good drivers also get into accidents because there are bad drivers out there. be afraid.
