Im thinking of going with train to Moscow and from there to Beijing with Trans-Siberian railway. Ive thought of spending few days in Beijing and then flying back to Europe.

Aside from tickets and return flight, how much should I reserve money for food and other activities?

Also what are your experiences with Trans-Siberian railway?

went moscow- ulan bator, last year, its not that greatjust for the ride, since most of the track have covering "tree-walls" set up by Soviet, to hide the poverty, but it is awesome if your going on al nger trip, since you really feel like your traveling somewhere when you spend almost a week in motion, instead of a couple of hours on a plane

bring money and food for the train though, since you vant realy eat anything they serve on the train. I lived on instant noodles and whatever they sold at the stations
