Hey /trv/!

I have a few questions. Sometime within the next few years I'm planning on taking a trip to Europe. Depending on where I wanted to go and how much I wanted to see I could travel up to six months, but because of monetary and employment constraints it will probably end up being a trip of about two to three months. I've already done lots of research, and I have a rough idea of where I would go, but there's one option I didn't really consider because of lack of interest.

What's there to do and see in the UK and Ireland? What are some nice towns and cities to see, where are the nicest parks?

I'm not really interested in where to go to get sloshed or what area has the best music scene (because I'm an antisocial nerd, obviously). That's why I disregarded the UK and Ireland in the first place, because it seemed every source for info was placing more emphasis on bullshit 'best pubs in wherever' rather than anything I might actually find fun and interesting.

So what's there to see and do? Money won't be a huge issue, but I can't afford to stay in a five-star hotel every night for three months. Are there any bed & breakfast kind of places that are nice? Should I consider spending an extended stay in any one area? I'm really more interested in Ireland than the UK, but info on both would be nice.

Britfag here. Ireland is a beautiful country, we went from Giants Causeway down the west coast, it's incredible.
As for the UK, my recommendations are Snowdonia in Wales, simply for the beauty of the area. Lake District is also stunning. Depending on how far you're prepared to travel, Cornwall is also very nice. Any of the lochs in Scotland.
For more culture rather than beautiful scenery, you might have to do some more research. Bath is a nice city, Roman baths are definitely worth a visit if you're able. Uuh...London has nothing special, really.
