Hey I live in America about to move to England does anyone know if I can transport my car there somehow? And how much it might cost? Thanks.

by ship... it'll cost 1 assload.

consider they drive on the left side of the road in the UK...... consider public transport at first (which is expensive as hell in there), then buying a car there (after you get used to the left-side driving)

If I were you, I'd just sell it in America, then use that money to buy another one in England. Just the transportation cost alone would be close to the difference.

is that even possible? since they drive on the other side of the road

From what I remember, it doesn't matter which side the wheel's on, so long as you drive on the correct side. Same goes for the U.S. and many other countries.

For a start, in Oz at least, you have to have a "Left Hand Drive" notice front and rear. Then you need to get an auto engineer's certificate that the car qualifies under the Australian Design Rules. If it doesn't you have to make the modifications.
I would expect similar, but fussier, conditions in the UK.

BTW there's a thriving LHD to RHD conversion industry here.

Well, duh. Still, it'll be VERY troublesome, when overtaking another car and whatnot.

Google "international car freight"

imho it doesnt apply on the UK... my father has been living there (and driving his continental european car) for more than 3 years... no notice / certificate or whatever

still, i presume the best way for OP is to buy a new car in the UK... after some time spent there (to get used to the weird driving)

yes it's possible. I used to have a huge GMC van years ago. It got something insane like 11 miles per gallon.

Haven't been driving too long anyhow I'm sure I'll get used to driving on the other side of the road. I can't leave my Cadillac behind :(

Thanks I will do this.
