Im leaving to NY tomorrow.

I need some nice places to go... I would like to walk as much as possible and avoid the usual places (for example I don't have the slightest interest in going to the statue of liberty).

I'm getting so tired of these threads. You're anonymous, we know knowing about you. How old are you? How long are you going for? What sort of things might you be interested in? (art, film, music, photography, graffiti, architecture, NYU bars, dive bars, cougars etc. etc.)

Does it really matter who he is if we tell him to go to the Met or to take the entire length of the A train as a cheap tour?

You should take the downtown bus tours, men in red jackets will take you down a lift to an underground mystery office to sell you tickets. Its worth it to get to see the lamp store

Me and my friend went to NY in may, and it was awesome. While there, we spent only like...100$ total over 4 days, on food, and buying some stupid, cheap stuff like buttons. We stayed in a hostel.

All we did was basically explore all of Manhattan. Walked around Time's Square, Central Park, Battery Park, Grenitch Village, accidently wondered in Harlem, looked at China Town, and little Italy.

There are maps everywhere, just pick a spot you want to see and go walk around there. There is a high police presence everywhere, at all times, so I never felt threatened.

Food was awesome too.

Enjoy your police state faggot. Bet you'll love it when there's a street camera in every block too like in London.

You should spend at least one day doing "the stuff". There is a reason why everybody does, after all.

Having said that, going around central park, having a cup of coffee at Zabars and seeing the museum of natural history is a nice day.

I wouldn't avoid the "tourist traps", just don't PRIORITIZE them. No matter where you go, you will likely have one nearby, so go ahead and take it. Little Italy is great for dinner.

Our cops are awesome, they're really nice and funny if your not a retarded asshole or black, and they keep the niggers at bay.

The largest black neighborhoods are all in New York and you wouldn't know it because of our cops
