Anyway, to the OP, don't come here in the summer unless you're into 40C+ temperatures and bazillions of flies. Spring's a good time to visit. If you're into beaches, sun, water and that sort of outdoors stuff, most of Queensland and some of the beaches in Sydney and the rest of NSW will be good for you. Sydney has the obvious must-see landmarks of course. Melbourne has the most vibrant and best cultural, arts, music, shopping (though this one's closely contested with Sydney) and sports scene, but it lacks the "outdoor-ness" of cities further north. Melbourne is probably the most European-style city in the Southern hemisphere. I don't really have time to provide much more info right now, but there's a bit of a start.
