my fellow /trv/ellers, I have 3,000$ in cash and a car, as well as a passport, driver's license, toiletries, plenty of clothes, a laptop, basically all of the needs and luxuries from my dorm. I know Latin, as well as a little Greek and Spanish. I'm in the southeastern US. Where should I go?

I won't deny that, but I'm glad that I read the Aeneid, I'm glad that I've read things by Ovid, Horace and Caesar's Gallic War. It has given me an understanding of a history and culture which is far away from our own but continues to impact it.
You know Italian, I know Latin. As they are essentially the same language transformed, I bet we could learn the other language fairly quickly. You are welcome to think that I'm stupid for learning a dead language and I'm going to think that you're stupid for having little appreciation for literature which has influenced millenniums of civilization.

All you need to know:

German, French, and Arabic (or German, or Turkish, depending where you're headed). With French it's easy enough to pick up Italien, and anybody can make up spanish or english on the spot.

Drive to New Orleans.

Fuck you guys.
Esperanto4lyf.
Unfortunately, while I was in Europe it didn't do much good, because I was only able to find people that spoke it at places where Anarchists/Socialists/general "anti-nationalists" or "internationalists" congregated, and even then it was only a 1/5 chance I'd find someone, but it was easy to learn and if I ever decide to learn Spanish, I'm sure it wouldn't be far off from the majority of Esperanto I learned.

BUT ANYWAYS, WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO SPEAK ESPERANTO, SO LEARN IT MOTHERFUCKERS!

As 4chan proves, English is already the international language. There's no need for Esperanto.

You should totally fire up your car and drive down to McDondalds and check out their Value Menu, dude. Everything on the menu is just a buck, and you won't have money problems eating any of the delicous items on the Value Menu.

Im Loving It!

I posted this last night... So far the on topic response are New Orleans and Death Valley, so I will go to those places. Other suggestions?
