Hey /trv/. I want your opinions on the best theme parks out there. I am partial to busch gardens europe, being a virginiafag I go there a lot. Anyone else been there?

I've been to Walt Disney World, Six Flags, and Cedar Point. Out of those Three (well, 6) parks, Cedar Point has the superior roller coasters. The only thing any good at Disney World was Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest. While I was down in Florida though I didn't get a chance to go to Universal, which I've heard has some pretty hardcore roller coasters (supposedly the viciousness of the coasters makes up for how few of them they have.)

That's just my opinion, though. Other than there being no really good roller coasters at Disney World. That's just a scientific fact.

Cedar point gets my vote too.

As far as Florida is concerned, busch gardens hands down.

Busch Gardens by a landslide, they have 4 big coasters including one wooden one and a new one called Shikra or something like that that is the best coaster I have been on. Also they have 1 smaller coaster and numerous rides, plus they sell BEER everywhere! Okay it is only Budweiser products, but they do the job.

I'm a Bush Gardens Fag too, since it has great coasters and is among the most attractive parks in the US (though that is diminished somewhat by the ill-advised placement of their newest coaster which practically deforested the entire interior of the park). Still Apollo's Chariot and Alpengeist make up for it.

As far as other parks are concerned, Universal Studio's Adventure Island in Orlando does have a couple good coasters - and NOTHING else. It's totally overpriced. I also find Six Flags parks (having been to the ones in Virginia and Georgia) to have decent coasters and to be crummy in general.

Favorite parks include:

Bush Gardens - Williamsburg, VA
Opryland - Nashville, TN
King's Island - Cincinnati, OH
Six Flags America - Mitchellville, MD (Very ghetto, but the Batman ride sells it)

Dollywood is really fun. I enjoy it more than Disneyworld.

Cedar Point is the undisputed, award-winningest, most-rollercoaster-having, cleanest park in the world. The prices are fair, the lines aren't too bad, the food is good, the rides are fun, and they have five or six different world records at any time. Also, if you are older, they have undoubtedly the most family-friendly park in the US (moreso, in my opinion, than Disney.)
