Sup /trv/, Britfag here.

So i've always wanted to travel, that's why this Summer I want to get out and see the rest of Europe.

Now my problem is, I don't really have many friends to travel with, and the few I have I couldn't stand being alone with for anything over a week. Is it really possible to enjoy yourself on a trip like this alone? Also where should I visit? Train will be my main mode of transport.

If it's your first time travelling in a foreign country, I'd recommend going with a friend or friends.

However, if you've done this sort of thing before (and other anon may agree) it is really easy to meet people and make new friends when you are travelling - especially if you stay in hostels.

Though it does depend a lot on how outgoing you are. If you're shy, take a friend because you may have difficulty opening up to people. If not, go alone, and make friends with every random drunk along the way.

I travelled to Morocco for a month backpacking with my girlfriend, who is a total priss. Really more of a hindrance than anything - prone to complain, etc. Would have done fine by myself. It forces you to meet people, which is great.
