I am looking for suggestions for a city possibly move to.

Produces a lot of culture. “Geek" Culture.
Considered a worldly city.
Progressive politics
Good Economy, lots of technology companies.
Nice architecture, stainless steel and glass or historical preferred( not a lot of concrete)
European- “feel’
Good Public Transit
Clean

I PREFER the U.S,but I am open to anywhere.

San Francisco. You couldn't have described it better. Granted, my opinion is biased because I only live an hour away, but it's still a great city to live and work in.

Portland, OR, though you might find the architecture lacking.

Phenomenal transit though.

Try Athens. Pollution aside, it's not a bad city.

San Francisco.
-Culture? Check. (Among other things, home of the Mythbusters)
-Worldly City? Check.
Progressive Politics? Check
-Good Econ? Depends on where you move, but overall, check.
-Tech. Companies? Ooooh man... where to begin? Home of Google, Firefox, Yahoo, several computer companies, HP has a strong presence here, and many small-scale companies dealing with solar electricity.
-Downtown SF has LOTS of good architecure.
-European Feel? not 100%, and only in spots, but I've always felt like Market Street was a lot like London (in a good way).
-Good Public Transit- Buses, ferries, and especially BART. Also, several local commuter trains (although not that efficient, they do connect to some local spots like Sacramento and Santa Cruz). Also, if Prop 1A is passed this November in California, then it will be home to one end of a high-speed transit line that can take you to all of the other important places in the state in under 3 hours.
-Clean? not 100% but if sticking to the US, you could do a hell of a lot worse.

Also, added note: many colleges and universities nearby, such as UC Berkley, UCSF, UC Davis (the University of California system has graduated more Noble prize winners than any other institution in the world), many CSU schools, Stanford, many liberal arts colleges.
-Largest Asian population outside of Asia (added for culture)
-History? Not ancient history, but nearby Sacramento was the western terminus of the Trans-Continental Railroad.

You just described your home city of San Francisco so your smug ass can jerk off didn't you.

BTW progressive politics in SF means tearing down beautiful trees and planting poison oak in the name of protecting native species

I always thought of my self as apolitical but the political climate in SF is stifling and makes me roll my eyes in disgust with how hard they try to be to be "open-minded"

Sorry, I don't see that character having a hook nose. Perhaps, it's the anti-semite in you which create that image in your mind.

Enjoy your negros and the city you move to becoming unlivable before you die due to mass influx of savage 3rd world minorities.

OP here....I don't mean hippie politics.
I mean not Fox News Politics.

You can pick between one extreme and the other when choosing a city. I'll stick with my racist rednecks and crazy neo-conservatives over hippie liberal "progressives" any day of the week.

Austin, Texas

However, our transit system sucks balls. Has everything else.
>> Anonymous
Ignore the people that say San. Fran. They're stupid faggots. That city sucks balls.

Austin Texas is pretty fucking cool. Less negros than houston too.

Though honestly you'll probably want to leave before you die, seeing as white people = minority in texas already.

New York

Geek culture - St Mark's Place
Worldly City - it's THE WORLD's city
Progressive politics - we considered congestion pricing
Lots of tech companies - Silicon Alley, bitches
Nice architecture - Stainless steel and glass, Financial District or Midtown. Historical, everywhere else
European feel - There are a lot of Europeans here.
Good public transport - 24 train system. Cheap and easy
Clean - lol not going to lie here

copenhagen is the shit. bike lanes everywhere means no pollution, easy travel and nice legs on the ladys. the pay is fucking way way better than the states, national health care geeks, good architectue, and lots of tech companys and creative industry. draw backs: high taxes and rain

Not the OP, but I just moved to Austin and it's lovely. but yeah, Texas is full of spics. I missed it terribly when I left.

The hilarious thing is that I have blond hair/blue eyes and a hispanic last name. It makes it a little better for all these DIVERSITY fags, albeit confusing. My husband has a Mexican last name because his dad was 1/4 cockroach. He road that fucking I'M A SPIC LOL scholarship through uni, though.

Very good choice

geeky (and cultural heart of OZ) culture, worldly in most ways, politically mildly conservative but plenty of progressives (in Australian terms, you'll find few "Republican" nuts there), great economically, best architecture in the southern hemisphere, feels European in plenty of ways but many asians now (more than most Australian cities, possibly more than Sydney per capita), trams etc so good transport (WAAAAY superior to Brisbane, Sydney or Adelaide yet they always fucking complain about it) and only mildly dirty (not bad for 4+ million people
>> Anonymous
I agree with San Fransisco if you MUST stay in the US, otherwise go with Montreal, Toronto or Melbourne. I would consider New York but that's probably just me.

I don't understand how we can complain about taxes when we then have to pay MUCH MOAR for inferior service... and it's obvious, and our public health isn't even universal in horrifying emergencies. If you lose an arm in a tragic disaster you're as good as dead without health cover even though any humane system would allow you to get to a hospital quickly and not be in debt for life for doing so.
