I'm doing europe in the not too distant future, but have to fulfill a contract w/ my employer before fucking off so I've got a couple months to prepare. When I'm done I'll have a scad of cash and plan on backpacking around and working here and there for a good long time. What languages should I learn, to what extent, and what are the best methods to learn them? What language besides is spoken most around central and northern europe?I'm already familiar with Quebecois french, not fluent but I can get by and I learn a bit more every week. Spanish and Italian are similar, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to pick those up relatively easily after mastering french.
Learn the language of the country you'll be visiting, fucking jerk. Jesus christ...
