Hey /trv/

I know, I know - This must be the 346467 time you see something like this ... But I trust /trv/ enough (lol ?) to expose you guys to my project.

I'm an 18 years old Canadafag and I decided I had enough of my small touristic region. I am fully billangual in both french an english, and I have the fonds to travel - It's time to move.

I want to live somewhere else. Anywhere. (Actually, I'd prefer to move east, not south)

My restrictions would be :
-No ghettos. (a.k.a Mexico etc)
-No hardcore language restrictions.
-Not overpriced to hell. (See : London)
-No americanized place. I want to be overwhelmed with a new society. I already live in U.S.A 2, no need to move out to see the same stuff.

TL:DR : Possible places in the world I could move to. +2 internets for the pros and cons list.

Good if you are bilingual

Ireland: nature, storm and nice people around a beer

south of France: superb riviera, nice people too, beach and sun, probably a bit exepensive and you probably won't understand all what they say because of their accent

Or Switzerland: mountains, snow, landscapes

I'd like to avoid villages at most. (Small ones that is.)

I am 18, not 40 and looking for a retirement opportunity.

So, something lovely, not too quiet - while remaining reasonable inexpensive.

Also, french's my maternal language - But since I am not a parisfag frenchy I have almost no accent, so english's not a problem at all.

Move to the happiest place on Earth, Denmark. I shit you not, Denmark.
Or Norway, they are in the top 5 or 10 (often first or second) of any good statistic that you can think of, and last in every bad statistic.
Iceland is the same way...
Nordic countries are just cool.

Also, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Ireland round out my list.

All these countries have way better quality of life than the US and Canada, don't believe me, the googlez my friend.

Unless being constantly happy and content don't count as being "overwhelmed with a new society." then go to japan for a fucked up time, language barrier is there, but they all would like to speak english. Taiwan is another culture shock, but all those fuckers speak english so it's cool.

France, Paris or the south.

Pros : awesome country, awesome people when you learn to know them (takes time ;-) ), awesome architecture, café, bars, clubs, nightlife and daylife, awesome food also, nice women with good taste in style and clothes (fashionable).

Cons : Arabs and africans are pretty annoying in France.Sorry if it hurt your feelings to read that, but go there and you'll understand.Especially when you 'll have a girlfriend or female friends visiting you.

Consider Strasbourg. The language is French while the culture and whatnot is German. It is a pretty active city, and probably as expensive as anywhere else in France. Strasbourg is considered a Eurodistrict, so if you want to go work in Germany and live in France you could go do that there.

There's the catch that living standards and taxes are lol'ably high, though.. And good luck finding a place to live in the major cities. But since wages are high as well, it balances out fair enough.

I think Budapest might be a good place but the language barrier is definately there. They generally don't speak English well and I'm pretty sure they're even worse at French. Otherwise, I like the city (been there a good few times). It has plenty of stuff to see and do and the culture is different. For extra lulz, they are oblivious to certain political correctness issues: I was there on a trip with my friends a few years ago and we went to a music store. Inside, rap music and R&B was labelled "Black music". Had a good laugh.

Paris is full of niggers, the weather is meh and it's fucking expensive but it's easy to get a job. The south-east has sandniggers, is relatively expensive the weather is very nice and the seaside awesome plus you can go skiing in the mountain but jobs are hard to get. The south-west has the best people, the best food and drinks, a pretty nice weather, life is cheap, and you got TWO awesome seasides plus skiing in the mountains but jobs are not easy to get.
