What are your opinions on traveling alone? Any experiences? I want to see the world but I have no friends to go with me.
>> Anonymous
Usually my DM rolls for me to get into bullshit random encounters if I try to stray too far from my party. But if you can min/max properly, you can usually get your way anyhow.

i would go with you if you paid for me

no wonder you have noone to travel with, you shallow, insensitive sexist!

Go on your own, it builds character and you can see everything you want. You're truly free.

But how do people react to you? It seems weird. And isn't it more expensive when you're not sharing the cost with someone else?

Travelers on their own tend to make friends with other travelers easier. Its not weird to go alone, i would say a third of backpackers do. You save some money in pairs or more but most costs are individual. (Transport, hostels, attractions)

I kinda think it's better to travel alone if you have a good reason for your trip. Like, I don't know, attending some kind of a class somewhere or something like that. That way you can have an easy excuse meet new people who are in a similar situation.

I'm planning to so to spain sometime, it'll be my first trip alone.

My main interest there is art and architecture, and since I don't have many close friends who share those interests I think going alone would be the most enjoyable. I don't wanna bore someone by dragging them through every museum I see.

Has anyone ever travelled with a total stranger from one of those find a travel buddy sites? That seems like a good option for someone outgoing and friendly enough (who would usually have someone to travel with anyway...?)

seems like a good option to get raped.

I'll go with you if satisfy less than two of these conditions

fat
ugly
male

(no, I'm not going to have sex with you if you are a fit and handsome man, it means you are a valid wingman for getting jap chicks)

going by yourself is the coolest - you are beholden to no one and have to accommodate only your own whims. harder to get laid though.

Traveling alone is the best way to go, tbh.

last september i went to estonia (and helsinki) with a couple of guys from the internet

i found them on a belgian forum and we met 2 times before the trip, to meet each other and talk about the trip

the trip was nice, but they annoyed me a lot of times
maybe it would have been cooler with more like-minded persons, but i'd recommend anyone to atleast give it a try

Did they know each other before the trip?
>> Anonymous
>>3949
no, we were all strangers to one another

just met those 2 times before the trip and by mail/msn

im not gay, or attractive, but I would love to go traveling with you, fuck the OP

Travelling (backpacking) alone is the best way to do it.

You get more experiences and meet more people than you would if you weren't alone, I guarantee it.

Sure, it's a bit daunting and scary at first, especially for your first time, but you'll really develop from it and learn a lot.
