I have a problem, /trv/.

I've never been abroad before, but have just recently gained a grant from my university to travel to Europe. The grant is for $1,500, and I am going to Paris and Berlin.

Since it's over winter break, I plan on leaving on the 24th of December, to hopefully get the cheapest tickets possible. So basically, other than getting tickets, I have no idea how to plan for a trip. Basically, all I have is the locations I have to go to in each city:

Paris: Musee du Louvre—European paintings and Islamic art gallery
Musee d’Orsay
Musee national d’Art Moderne (in Centre Georges Pompidou)
Tomb of Napoleon (in Les Invalides)
Memorial des Martyrs de la Deportation
Sainte-Chapelle
Musee national des Artes asiatiques-Guimet

Berlin: Pergamonmuseum

Also: would STA travel be my best bet for cheap tickets?

Travel by rail, it's much cheaper.

This. Europe has awesome trains, they're fast and comfortable. Slower than planes, of course, but you'll see nice views along the way.

Don't forget Notre Dame. that can be done in a half hour, and its free to enter, and its walking distance from sainte chapelle and to centre pompidou. paris is actually pretty easy to walk from place to place... especially the louvre, to orsay, to ste. chapelle to ND to pompidou center.

but youre probably gonna wanna spend a while in the louvre. orsay can be done fairly well in 3-4 hours.
same for pompidou i think.
