/trv/, I need to gtfoI'm getting sick of this city and my ongoing and unsuccessful search for real work. If I'm going to do something menial and stupid I might as well do it in another country, or at least in a city that's cheaper to live in than Toronto. So I'm thinking that once I'm done all my grad school & funding applications I might do a working holiday for six-eight months.Thing is, I don't want to do ESL (been doing it for years, I've had enough) and I would prefer to stay away from programs aimed at backpackers fresh out of high school.I'll go pretty much anywhere but Canada. Can anyone recommend a (non-ESL, no-kids) work-travel experience? Any good stories?

Detroit is pretty freaking awesome, unlike Toronto.
