Hi,
this isn't really travel related but i know it's here i'll get the least shitty answers. I'm european and my aunt is going to the US, so she asked me if she could bring something back for me. Due to the shitty dollar, it could be pretty interesting. But i don't know what's really cheaper in the US than in Europe, and as i don't really need anything, what would you say would be the most advantageous to buy in US instead of EU ?
Thanks, and in b4 oil and guns.

videogames and their counsels, mp3 players like ipods, shit like that. they usually bump the euro price to the same numeral price as the USD price, although its actually like twice as fucking expensive for you guys.

The US Dollar goes about as far as a Euro does, so you're basically getting anything for 2/3 price

Go for a laptop, or if you have bigger money a car (even after taxes it's still cheaper, lol I love my UE)

Everything is cheaper in the US, unless it is imported directly from Europe (and even then you get a lot of stuff thats cheaper).

Anything computer-related. A new monitor for your PC. A new video card. Anything. Give the old gal a shopping list and send her to Fry's Electronics.

Good. Start here for an idea of what you're looking at. Even if she isn't near a Fry's, she can hit one of the other mass-humongous retail outlets:

I set out to merica thinking that, unfortunately retailers only sell the shittiest components, and the good stuff is at online shops.

Well, I bought some unnecessarily expensive headphones with the money.

My ex girlfriend was from hanover. She went shopping al the time and said that clothes were cheap. She told me that a pair of levis jeans could go for as much as 200 euros. Tommy shirts went for 150 euros. Even though Tommy H is no longer in style here, it is in europe i guess.

Video games here are around 50-60 dollars.

That's like half what it is in Europe.

I get video games in the UK for £25-30. That's the same price... never tried to get any from mainland Europe though.
