I am an American exchange student living in Denmark and am thinking of moving here after college. Is this a good decision? Or should I just stay in the U.S...

If president = Obama, then no

If president = Hilfag/McCain, then yes

Depends on what you see as important in living.

I'm in Denmark...
...but I think it's a xenophobic, socialist hellhole.

How long has OP been here?

I submit either

Denmark has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Why is it even a choice? Stay there if you can.

You say xenophobic like it's a bad thing, that xenophobia is all that keeps Denmark from ending up like Sweden.

Picture is from Sweden and not Iraq, as one might think.

keep living in your multi-cultural fantasy world.

" And The Happiest Place On Earth Is...Denmark "

'"the main scientific survey of international happiness carried out by Leicester University in England ranks the U.S. a distant 23rd, well behind Canada and Costa Rica. [snip] And the winner, once again as correspondent Morley Safer reports, is Denmark.'

I was brought up thinking "AW YEAH ROBIN HOOD COUNTRY MAAN", zomgbaffles. 40% minimum tax, 25% sales tax, and 183% on buying a new car isn't funny when you experience how they waste that shit on a daily basis.

I demand to know where my big black booties and authentic Italian pizzas are. And my Indian cuisine. Even Chinese food is dumbed down for the average Dane >:(

(Of course these are my only complaints except the weather)

If you plan on continuing studies, after living here for two years the government will pay you for going like everyone else gets. I'd move.

I agree with your opinions and I do plan on continuing my studies there, so its a complete pro/con situation. Things are really expensive but Denmark overall rocks...
