I have money, that was easy. Just get a job and don't spend on crap like cable, fancy food, or gfs. It's the whole getting up and going places thing that I just can't seem to make myself do.

I think we might be on to something here. Give me the money and I'll provide you with detailed accounts of my travels, including video footage.

I never go independently. I always bring a family member or two.

If your nervous about going traveling, start somewere easy, like a rich country (germany, japan, ect.). Save the more fun/remote places for when you're more experienced and have an expanded comfort zone.

Fuck that, I want to actually GO, I can watch video footage on public television. I need someone or something to MAKE me go.

Alright... give me half the money and I'll physically drag you along with me?

Bring a friend with you. Travelling alone gets pretty boring after a while.

I'm not afraid, I'm just anxious. I have a college degree but can't seem to get a job that reflects this (PROTIP: don't major in liberal arts, kids!) and consequently I'm worried about what I'll be doing in five years, let alone for the rest of my life. I feel like if I go travel, spend all my money, I'll come back in a year or so back where I am now but completely broke.

I'm like that, but the difference is that instead of a pussy, I'm a poor lazy bastard.

Oh, that's the other problem: most of my few friends are already in a family way, and I don't know if I have the social skills to make new ones along the way.

Sometimes, I'm travelling abroad independently.
But you really need guts. Don't be afraid by shuch bad events like when you're lost in the middle of a country that can'' understand your language

travelling is useless as a fukken tourist. Go abroad if you have something to do, or are genuinely interested in a cultural aspect of target country. Otherwise, you're just a cretin backpacker carrying his set of western values and corruption along with him.

i'm in the same position. so i went (mostly by myself) to thailand and nepal. did a "volunteer" course. although the volunteer courses (where you have to pay to teach or whatever) are a bit of a scam, i don't regret it. go see the world.

This. Where the fuck are actual volunteering positions where you actually don't have to give them anything except your free work for them, and they provide you with food and boarding?

The only people who can really travel are attractive women. They can just whore themselves when they're low on cash.

Hmm, how about a relative then? Like a cousin or an uncle?

Or you could get a pen pal in some country that interests you and then go visit them. I've done that a few times, it's great.
