Hey /trv/

I'm heading to Cuba this weekend. Should I be worried what with Castro stepping down? Am I going to get stuck there? Is the US going to start bombing?

US pretty much doesn't acknowlege cuba's existance in sort of a "LaLaLaLa We can't hear you" sort of way. its been like that since 1965.

Bay of pigs?

Yep, no serious thread of americans in cuba.

Go there while you still can, before mcdonalds starts to pop up and you have yourself a new Nicaragua.

Oh, avoid the loli prostitutes. Not worth the money.

I would wait a few months just to see what happens. If you do get stuck there hi jack a plane or stay there and form a criminal underworld and get fucking rich!

Don't worry about getting stuck... Tons of cubans get to america every year, hitching a ride shouldn't be too difficult.

Actually you can drink in public in Cuba, smoke cigars, and enjoy good food for merely cents, well US cents

Tickets are already bought, can't really wait a few months.

I'm more worried about getting back to Canada than the US.

They don't accept US currency anymore.

Go through Mexico, and don't make it obvious that you went to Cuba or you could face jail time or a HUGE ass fine if you're from the US. Once you're in Cuba, you'll be fine so long as you bring back no proof that you went there. They won't stamp your passport or anything in Cuba, because they know it's illegal for an American to go there and they highly welcome Americans.

The US won't start bombing. The US is pretty much ignoring Cuba's existence like it's been said in this thread already... except of course Barack Obama, who plans to get rid of the whole Anti-Cuba thing if he wins.

But you'll be fine if you don't get caught. Fuck yeah, Cuba!

If you're Canadian, then you'll be completely fine. Canada actually offers trips to Cuba for American citizens who can't go through their own airports.
