Erie, PA Anonymous
Anyone been here? I figured I'd ask since the place keeps boasting that it gets between 1-4 mil visitors a year, though I suspect that's a total lie. I've been stuck here 3 weeks and will be till Thanksgiving (I did NOT come here on a vacation) and have seen that it is almost total misery besides spending all day on the beach or hiking on the outskirts. I have no idea WTF is up with this place, it's a total mindfuck, a twilight zone, I feel like I've stepped back into 1992. Anyone know what the hell happened here to make it so weird? The nightlife also made me want to stab myself, shitty smoky bars full of bikers and slutty old women with crappy 70s and 80s rock or clubs full of disgusting 20-something chicks bouncing their fat to outdated rap.

tl;dr Erie, PA = WTF?

I live in Erie. I really can't imagine why anyone would visit here. 1992 is giving us a lot of credit. I tend to think 1952. I could rant for paragraphs upon paragraphs about what a shitty place this is, but I'll spare you the wall of text. Everything you said is pretty much dead on and everyone here knows it. The only halfway decent bar is The Plymouth on State Street, because it's not a dance club playing shitty rap music. Let me know if you have any questions though.

Oh yeah, and the 1.4 million a year is most likely people just visiting their grandmothers.

The county flag is a ship sailing into a flaccid penis.

I have visited my Aunt in Erie.

It has a big lake.

That, my good sir, is a fully erect penis where we come from.

I often drive through Erie when I drive home to visit my parents in upstate NY. It's a little speck of a town with nothing worth visiting. Much like London, Canada.

Fully erect penises don't curve like that. At least not mine...

Oh god, Erie is fucking awful. Drive a couple hours south to Pittsburgh.

hahahaha yeah don't listen to this man. Erie sucks ass but Pittsburgh is basically Erie's big brother. There is not a city I hate more than Pittsburgh. First off it's the dirtiest place ever, the roads are all ass backwards so even if you live there you're gauranteed to get lost for at least an hour. The people there are all ornery. The smell is almost as bad as Jersey. If you're in PA the only place worth visiting is maybe Philadelphia... maybe. I would say just avoid the state entirely though.

ITT: The great lakes are full of people dead inside.

My friends and I got kicked out of a Steak and Shake in Erie, PA a few years ago while on a road trip. Good times.

Applies north of the border too. Toronto is filled with horrible people.

OP here, I'll definitely be checking out bemus point sometime soon, I went out again in Erie last night and it was so dead. I'll still be here until December so I'll be psyched about all the college kids coming back in Aug, good to hear that the Edinboro girls will be up! I went to the Plymouth last night and that place wasn't bad at all, good suggestion there.

Ever since this was posted I have seen nothing but old people. I've spent the past 2 days (8 hours each) on the flaccid penis and it was nothing but people ready to keel over. I accidentally scared an old lady half to death = great lulz.

Hahaha I visited pretty much most of the rest of the state in 2004, I can see why you'd say avoid it.

>>39226
I might have to do this too!

Something tells me you're about 15 and very emo. Do you realize that there are bad people everywhere?
