Duh.

Image had to be reduced to post. The front doors of St. Peter's from the inside. The church is massive. I can't describe it any other way.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Another fun fact. The central "canopy" is made of pure brass. Its also about 91 ft. Tall, and is dwarfed by the rest of the church.

I had a chance to go with a school trip but I declined. Being watched over and not being able to drink DO NOT WANT. Might go someday...

I think the drinking age is 16 or so In Italy. While whoever you go with can sto
p you, the law certianly can't. Unless yanno. You fuck up big time.

I'm assuming they can pick out amerifags like myself rather well. I took precautions like wallet in the front pockets and whatnot. I was fine. But better safe than sorry when yer overseas.

Italian here, willing to answer questions.

For example, alcohol drinking is 18 years old, but everybody sells everything to anyone. You can enter a supermarket and buy a vodka or a Martini, or cigarettes.

This guy speaks the truth. Also, I live in Torino, and I strongly recommend visiting it... It's probably the town that changed most in the past 10 years.
>> Anonymous
>>1477

lol I'm from Turin too. I suppose this thread attracts more Italians than any other around 4chan. Anyway, if I may, it changed just for the Winter Olympic Games. The metro and everything else was just that for: now we're in stall again.

OP here. I'm gonna go back someday to Italy, for sure. I plan on visiting Venezia and Firenze again, and I'll only go to Roma for more shopping on Via(?) Nazionale. I got some good tshirts there last time. The question is, where else should I go in italy? I don't want overly tourist, moreso off of the beaten path kind of things.

Sardegna (Sardinia) is a wonderful place: great beaches, great landscape, faces darkened by the sun they look ancient. Spring for landscape, summer for the sea.

Actually, in Italy EVERYTHING is a tourist route. Everything. To see stuff "not for the mass" you should take a motorbike, a back pack, your girl, and spend two months traveling from north to south. I'm Italian, and I'm planning on doing it myself later on.
