What does /trv/ think about Philadelphia? What should I do next time I go back?
>> Anonymous
I'm also a Phillyfag. I go to school and live at Temple now. Broad and Norris, bitches.

For a change of pace, a tourist can try some native Philadelphian things:

1. Shout at people you know across the street while walking.

2. Don't be afraid to cross at a red light. Those taxis will stop for you.

3. Any concrete or tile is fair game for loogie hocking.

4. Get mugged on the Broad Street line. This works best heading Northbound from Center City late at night. Be sure to keep an iPod or other valuable in plain view.

5. Do your Saturday morning breakfast-and-shopping at the Reading Terminal Market while muttering "stupid tourists" and pushing others out of the way.

You totally forgot about going to South Street and sitting on a corner bitching about how much cooler it was before they lost Zipperhead and the Tower Records

the art museum is awesome, as is the zoo if its not winter. there's all the 'birthplace of america' shit to see too (liberty bell, constitution center, betsy ross house etc) that everybody who lives around here forgot about once they went on their 3rd grade trip.

shopping around walnut street is good if you got the loot for it. southstreet is worth a quick trip, but really skip it if you dont intend to get drunk (tattooed moms and the dark horse are the only places around there i bother to go into), eat (jims steaks ftw), or see a band (theres good shows at the TLA from time to time)
