SAS fucking cheap Cycling-Scandinavia-Project !!UfMTw401970
So I'm that Turk guy who started that thread about cycling/camping in Scandinavia. I was dicking around the web today and guess what I come across.

A non-stop Istanbul-Stockholm flight for only 181$! Provided I get the ticket one year in advance though. Is it me or is this really cheap? Last year I flew to Budapest and it cost something like 240Euros.

Isn't SAS a major carrier? I'm really tempted to buy this ticket now.

/r/ info on SAS and any possible disadvantages of buying a ticket one year in advance? thanks guise.

now there's also the possibility of going to Kopenhagen with the same flight via connection in Stockholm. Dane-fag anon's description of Kopenhagen in the summer was pretty win. Cute chicks, friendly people, relatively cheap fun.

How much does ferry from Denmark to Sweden cost? Is Kopenhagen worth spending maybe 200 more dollars and seeing. I'd stay in a hostel there.

Swefag here, well Copenhagen is very nice so I recommend visiting it (Sthlm is pretty gray by comparison). Btw, Sweden and Denmark is connected by bridge so u can go by train, faster and more cheaper than ferry methinks. The only place worth visiting in Sthlm is Gamla Stan(the remnants of old Sthlm) and the Royal castle. Have a nice trip

SAS is the national carrier for all the Scandinavian countries, and it's a member of the star alliance.
So it's a decent size and very reliable.

I've been with SAS to scandinavia from holland.
It gets your there, seats are decent, no free food/drinks but free breakfast though (if you fly morning time) meh I wouldnt complain.

And whatever its not like you're stuck in it for 18 hours or so.

alright maybe I'm not that poor, I'll still be camping and cycling instead of taking a flight wherever I want and staying in hotels.

IMO camping > hotels not only because it's cheap. It's kind of fun too, and being just to get up, pack up, and leave without formality is very nice.

You need to watch out on certain camp sites these days. Many people from Eastern Europe like to drive up here and rob campers silly. It's not that big of a problem on a national scale, though.

Copenhagen is a nice place, although it can be pretty damn expensive. So if you watch out for prices and ask the locals (at least 90% of Danes speak some sort of English), you should be good to go.

Aarhus is also a nice place, if you find yourself with some spare time. That's where I live. I'd still pick Copenhagen for a first trip to Denmark, though, because it's more friendly to foreigners and has more stuff.

Well, let's just say that people just doesn't like muslims or turks in Scandinavia. Heck, I was sitting here just yesterday and listened to some man outside that were yelling stuff about how all the non-Swedes shall eat cock. Weird stuff.

there are racists everywhere but the people recommending you don't say you're muslim are exaggerating

worse comes to worse, you could always open up a shawarma stand. those melanin-lacking fools love them some shawarma.

I'll open a Döner (Turkish for Shawarma or gyro) stand in Helsinki just to piss some of you guys off :p

but really, I'll ask again where I should especially visit before I go next year.

What do you say guys? should I get a 340$ ticket to Helsinki now and cycle Helsinki-Stockholm-Kopenhagen-Hamburg or the other way round?

I could also buy tickets to northern germany and cycle back from finland to save 150$ off plane tickets but the cost of the extra trip might render my savings moot.

suggestions on route and where I should fly to?
