Hello. Me and my friends have grown tired of celebrating new years eve in our hometown, Oslo, Norway. This year we have decided to travel to another European town to have an amazing time, but we are not sure which one. We are all students, but since we are from Norway we do have quite abit of money available. Any suggestions for awesome new years eve party towns and stuff to do there? Right now we are mostly thinking about London or Prague. Thanks for your help!

Don't bother with London or anywhere else in the England for that matter. Best place in the UK would actually be Edinburgh in Scotland for "Hogmanay" as they call it. More a traditional celebration though

New Years Eve in the UK is an overrated, ridiculously expensive scam. The weather will most likely be appaling and most people will be just getting blind drunk in the same pubs/clubs they go to every other week except they will be paying far more for the privillege. Huge queues are also common. Taxis etc will charge double, even triple fare. It is daylight robbery everywhere you go and just not worth it.

And the best "entertainment" you will find at outdoor NYE parties will be in a packed square somewhere (probably with no alcohol) with some Z-list celebrity counting down the last few seconds till midnight before watching a mediocre fireworks display

Seriously, I've lived here my whole life and NYE in UK sucks

Stay away from Stockholm, you will not have a good time.

Maybe Berlin?
