Getting kicked out of my house, pretty much backed up into a corner here. I haven't finished high school (not stating age) and I need to know how to go about getting a job/apartment. Much appreciated, help me the hell out.

Fucking kill yourself. Kicked out of the house before you finish high school? Either you or your parents deserve to die, and you post on 4chan, you little Underage B&, so I'm betting it's you.

Ok, to get a job, first you need you high school diploma....

Um...ok...to get an apartment, you need a lot of money and likely a guaranteer...

Not sure where you live, but here your parents would be obliged to pay for your (first) education, even if you get kicked out of the house. This includes College as well.

And if they can't, authorities have to do it. Not sure in which shithole to live though.

Apply for a job at a place like Starbuck's, which offers health insurance. Crash with an understanding friend and look into cheap places--try on craigslist. You will either be crashing with a friend or living in a shithole for a long while.

DO NOT STOP GOING TO SCHOOL. Not only are your parents legally required to keep you in school until you turn 18, but you're guaranteed to work shit jobs for the rest of your life if you don't get at least a high school degree (and GEDs aren't fooling anybody).

A homeless shelter is fine too.

No, I'll still be going to highschool. Which is a huge problem because' I don't have any friends to back me up on this. So I guess my best bet is to work part time at StarBucks or Tim Hortons or some other coffee shop/fast food place while looking for a shithole to live in?

Thanks for the responses, I'm up for any more. I'm also a Canadafag if it helps.

I had a discussion about this with my sister who works in child welfare services. anyway here goes:

Laws concerning eviction vary from state to state, but parent's financial responsibility (up to the age of 18) is pretty much universal throughout countries that recognize the rights of the Child.
In California, you can be kicked out, (for being disrepectful HUGE GREY AREA LOL) but your parents have to pay your rent.
Basically your parents are legally and morally bound to mould you into an upright citizen and not apply any constraints, whether financially, psychologically or physically to achieve this end.
We'd rather not have to deal with your neglected child criminal ass later on.

in any case, you should probably exhaust any legal avenues, or at least implore/threaten them to reconsider. visit your local bar council, or child welfare services for assistance.

Thanks bro, I'll look more into it.

As per usual, more responses aren't necessary but very much appreciated. I always check back.

Speaking as someone who's been in your situation, don't try to handle this on your own. Get in touch with someone in a position to help you, like child services. Is there a mission or a Safe Place in your area you can go to? Find someone to help you before you get into some kind of trouble. Even if you think you can handle it, everyone needs help sometimes. You don't have to deal with this alone.

Lol I fail. I just realized there are two different programs called Safe Place. One is for battered women and sexual abuse victims, the other is for runaways and other kids who need help. Also, I don't think Safe Place even exists in Canada, so please ignore everything I just said.

he's on ontario, he's fucked. I was in the same situation at 16, and all I was able to get was $52/week from welfare. couldn't work full time, as i was in school, couldn't afford a place with that kind of money. ended up just spending a night or two at a friend's house then moving on the next one.

>$52
Canadian?! fuck.

I was under the impression Canada cared about their children and provided better child protection laws, I mean with all the lolicon being illegal in Canada and shit. It seems the land of milkbags care more about fictional children than real ones.

No you know what its like to live in America
Constantly disappointed by shitty laws, and massive cracks in the system.

OP here, even though I'm a Canadafag and Lolicon is illegal, I'm still so fucking into it. My colelction is massive.

Anyways, back on topic: I'm totally fucked =/

I think I can get into a program that basically lets me do the work at home and hand it in every second Friday. If I can work from sometime this month until the end of summer maybe I can get an apartment ;(

Its just going to suck finding a place to sleep n' shit... I gotta' look into one of those homeless places.

Damn I feel like shit...

as per usual, more responses much welcomed.

If homeless shelters in Canada are anything like those in the US I'd stay away. They are typically filled with a very fucked up subset of the homeless. Most "normal" homeless people stay far away from the shelters.

You would be better off saving a few thousand bucks and buying a cheap used van and sleeping in that.

Get a gym membership. You can go to the gym every morning and work out and then (this is whats important) use the gyms facilities as a place where you can shower every morning and stay clean and hygienic.

But stay the fuck away from shelters. You could get robbed or raped or stabbed. Even if none of that happens you're guaranteed to end up with lice and scabies if you stay in one.

Dude, why don't you just work things out with your parents? They brought you into this world, I think they can be swayed to, uh, keep you in it.

This is probably a silly idea, but you might try getting a tent and staying at a camping place where you pay a small fee and is relatively safe, if there are any around. It's already spring and there's only nice weather after this :)

Im 22 and in a similar situation, minus the child neglect and milk in bags. Lets turn this into a general moving out thread, shall we?
>> Anonymous
Not really child neglect, as I'm becoming an adult. My parents are dead and I live with my Grandmother, and shes quite obviously sick of putting up with me in the house. I can't really blame her.

anyways, yeah, these two suggestions were absolutely ace. I really need to keep my PC somewhere, maybe with a friend or something. I dunno, what am I going to do about my stuff? I can't leave it here, and I certainly can't lug it around. Should I just find a nice place to hide it? How much does a small unit of storage cost? I have no idea what to do with my stuff...

thanks for all the tips, and yeah, to the poster who wants to turn this into a 'moving out' thread, go right ahead. Its kind of a tough issue lol when you don't know jack all about anything except 4chan and porn. Thanks for the tips guys, and as per usual, more appreciated.
