What's Germany like?
Tourist spots?
How do they dress?
Do they speak excessively fast?

I'm an Amerifag hoping to one day live there temporarily to learn the language and experience some new things.

Tell me some things that I should expect too.

In almost every area of Germany you got incomprehensible accents from the majority of people, especially in the far North, South and East.

Tourist spots? Get a travel guide. There are shitloads everywhere. You basically can't drive for 50 miles without passing by some tourist spot, or even spots.

And dress? Duh. Like everyone not from a 3rd world country. Seriously, what do you expect? Everyone in Nazi uniform or leather pants?

Fuck you, you made me laugh and spit out my drink everywhere.

Germans don't like to dress. They always take their shirts off, everwhere. If you want to fully assimilate, grow a big, hairy beer belly and get sunburnt while drinking beer.

Germans dress pretty strange, they have their own weird little fruity sub-cultures like we do in the states. I just wearing some normal blue jeans, some black, ugly shoes (important) and a ugly grey Polish jacket. You won't look like a German, you'll look like your from Eastern Europe, but you won't look like a retard.

Also, Germans are composed of 12 right angles, and 6, 45 degree angles. They are known for their rigid apperance, and constantly iron their shirt, pants, underwear, and skin to achieve the sharpest possible creases. They also devote at least an hour a day to excercise the 42 mucles that make up a scowl.

My grandmother traveled to Germany during the 70's, without a nickle and not knowing even a single word of german. She had a great time, or at least that's what she used to tell me.

Same as the US except for:
- You get any kind of liqour once you're eighteen. And they sell it baiscally everywhere.
- There's a shitton of different kinds of bread.
- You're best off using a bus/train/sub rather than a car. You'll get everywhere faster than with a car.
That's all i can think of right now... For a good start language-wise go to central-west-germany. We have almost no accents and you'll learn the german that is spoken as it is written.
