RON PAUL /trv/

I'm an expat English teacher in Beijing. The Olympics are coming up soon. The good: I can visit 4chan again, because the commies aren't blocking English websites again (in b4 proxy). The bad: I can't get a fucking visa now because the government doesn't want sleazy assholes like me mingling with rich tourists.

So I'm going to Bangkok. If the rumors are true, this would be the perfect city for a 4channer. My query: Are there any anons hanging out there these days? Has anyone been to Bangkok?

And lastly: I know, 420chan is -------------------> that way, but how much does grass cost there?

Picture vaguely related.

Why British immigrants living in France, Spain and other countries call themselves "expats" instead of what they are, immigrants?

Because you don't want to be associated with people like pakis and poles? You moved to a foreign country in search for a better live, you are not different.

It depends on the extent to which they are trying to assimilate and how long they plan on staying. Although it's not the literal definition of the term, when I hear expat I assume the person still has a strong attachment to their home country and will probably go back.

I don't think it's too appropriate when you're talking about Brits going continental. But I'm definitely not immigrating to Thailand. I'll probably be working on a tourism visa.

Wise and fair Anonymous, it is in your best interest to deliver advice to this humble OP. A successful Bangkok experience holds the promise of ORIGINAL CONTENT in the form of TRAPS and/or CP.

That is, unless I'm too blitzed on thai stick to leave my apartment.
