The Smithsonian Natural History Museum. I wandered in there unaware of where I really was, and my mind was blown.

DC in general is pretty good. cesspool of filth, crime and corruption it may be, i still had a damned good time.

St. Louis was pretty cool. I can't really put my finger on why, but I had a lot more fun there than I would have imagined.

DC is really a tale of two cities.

There is the filth underclass ghetto and the sophisticated elite section.

Reno, Nevada.

Reno 911 and other such stereotyping aside, its a cool place. Personally, I think its better than Vegas (less hustle and bustle, and less commercialized shitstorm). Good skiing, good hiking, good mountain biking, etc.

Pic related. Its a lot bigger than in the picture, but that shows a good deal of the casinos.

Fuck yeah, negro. And Hot August Nights is pretty awesome. Street Vibrations, too. Come to think of it, Reno has a shitload of festivals and an awesome art scene...

And yet, I don't know which section of DC is ultimately more dangerous.

Glasgow.

Went there two years ago on a schooltrip and I expected a middle-sized ugly industrial city where everything had turned to grey due to smog, but man it was neat.
The historic center is small enough to have everything within walking distance and the new parks and buildings along the river are really beautiful. I was only there for one day so I can't tell you much about the pubs and bars.
