I will be taking some short vacations in Paris this august, with my girlfriend... what places would you recommend for us to visit? Which museums, monuments, and sites are a must-see, aside from the obvious ones?

We are from Argentina and we will be there for 10 days. I speak some basic French, as well as English and Spanish... will this be enough for us to get around?

spanish is very similar to french so you won't have problems with french basic

visit Montmartre (Sacré Coeur), Notre Dame de Paris, Champs Elysés of course, Louvres, Quai Branly (a new museum with a lot of primitive arts)
there are lots of things to do

French is butthurt easy for English people - more so than German (despite us being a Germanic language...)

The French are amazingly snobby about their langauge, so it is best to learn it reasonably well, but in Paris, most will speak English (at least most that you will deal with in toursity areas). They won't like it, you won't get the best deals, and they will think you are ignorant, but hell, you aren't there to make friends!

Don't be amazed, there will be more tourists than french in Paris
especially japs, they are everywhere

Sorry for the Spanish, English speakers!

Honestly, take it from a French : if you want to visit France, you're better off in the countryside (unless you really like spending money in towns). Head for the Alps, or the South. It's really stunning. If you still visit Paris, don't forget Versailles' castle, biggest one in Europe.

Forgot to say, with the TGV (fast train) you can travel from Paris to the Alps or the South in 3h

Thanks, this is all great advice!
I'm planning to buy the EUrail pass so that I can tour around the French countryside and beyond as well, maybe Germany or Switzerland.

Stay away from arabs. Contrary to what euro-governments tell you, muslims are NOT your friends.

Why do you wanna go to france, especially paris? french people are subhuman, and they've bred arabs into subhumanized mongrels. Shitsux, take it from a french.
Paris is an art cemeteray, nothing more. French girls are whores but tough luck you're already maqué !

This may or may not be true, but the niggers in Paris are awwwwwwwright when they aren't robbing you. Seriously, a nicer breed of subhuman altogether.

Nigguhs in paris, especially older ones, are still good-natured and friendly. Go to Chateau-Rouge in daytime for Niggerville, good fun.
Stay away from the tainted niggers from the west indies, they've got white blood in them and therefore are hateful and degenerate.

Go to the Notre Dame at night, with a couple of bottles of wine in your backpack. Watch the performers do impressive things with fire and stuff, then go to the river-bridge at the cathedral's right-hand side and walk down the steps there. In the summer people drink, play guitar, and smoke hash there.
One of my fondest memories of the city.
