Hey /trv/. First time on this board. I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question:

I'm going to be traveling to San Francisco at the end of this month. It will be my first time on a plane. I'm bringing along my girlfriend, who has low blood sugar. As a result she has to carry a lunch box with her to have things to snack on readily available. Will they let her carry the lunchbox on the plane? It's metal... if that helps.

I'm pretty sure that you can request a special low blood sugar meal from the airline. Otherwise, don't bring the metal lunchbox, and remember that you can't have over 3 ounces of liquids.

probably, if not im sure the flight attendants will provide you with that kinda stuff if you ask and explain.

OP here, forgot to mention: gf is also allergic to soy and fish. So it's very difficult to get food without knowing what's specifically in it.

on the plane?... not really they are pretty conscious of whats in their food, so don't worry.

and when you land in San Fran stay the fuck out of East Bay, as some one who lives here I can definately say it is the asshole of the bay.

OP again... Another question.... What counts as a carry-on? Looking this shit up online is USELESS. Everyone has different answers for everything :\

nobody really knows any more, but if its bigger than two full duffel bags stacked together, chances are it wont count.

Well, you can read what they call "carry-ons" as per dimensions, weight, etc. on the airline's site. However, I've always enjoyed IRL trolling them by defining "carry-on" as anything i can 1) carry on the plane and 2) remotely fit under the seat and above on the racks. For example, JetBlue says you can have two carry-ons, which are defined as small purse things or laptops etc. I always carry 1) my duffel bag 2) my backpack and 3) my laptop bag which sometimes isn't carried in my backpack. Keep in mind all three of these items are stuffed completely full of shit. I've never had any airline bust my balls over it.
