I guess this is an appropriate place to ask. I'm going to a convention this summer, either Otakon, PAX, or Comic-Con.

I'm not as much into anime as I used to be, but Otakon is a three hour drive as opposed to a flight (costs the same with gas though, lolz) and I have a fuckwin Laughing Man costume. PAX and Comic-Con are much more appealing to me, but yeah, a lot further away. This would also be my very first con, so if anyone had advice from that perspective too, it'd be awesome.

"I have never been to a convention before. I enjoy comic books and video games, but I kind of like Anime, and I have a costume which would be most appropriate for anime. Should I go to Otakon, PAX, or Comic-Con this summer?"

go to PAX, im going and its estimated to be 70,000 people there this year, the largest gaming convention in America ever!

When you say 'very first con' are you also saying that you've never travelled far from home before and want some pointers?

Kind of. Specifically about conventions. I'm not really sure what to expect at all.

Lots of stalls. Be on the hunt for freebies, but only take ones you think are useful and bear in mind that its easy to steal stuff.
