Save your money if you can't come to a definite decision.

Save your money and do some research on different countries. Try out travel websites, which offer experiences and information to help you out. But seriously, be careful about it because you don't want to end up going somewhere after spending all your money only to find it's not your thing.

As a 22 year-old English-speaking Amerifag, think hard about your motivations for traveling and try not to embody the following stereotypes:

Go to India.

Go to the Wikipedia page for your local international airport.
See the list of cities serviced by different airlines.
Find one you like better than the others.

As an internet prick of indeterminate age, think hard about your motivations for making disparaging comments about someone solely based on their age and nationality, then go fucking kill yourself you arrogant fuck.

If you need to read a blog written by guilty nerds in order to learn how to act like a decent person, you probably shouldn't be thinking about travelling

Argentina... it's like Europe at one third of the price. I was there in 2006, definitely worth the trip.

You might as well travel to brazil.

Why is noone mentioning South-East Asia (the continental part)?
It's definitely a good initial travel for an unexperienced person. It's very different, fun and yet smooth and easily doable.

OP, you should consider Thailand+Cambodia+Vietnam+Laos too, maybe even continental part of Malaysia + Singapore.
