hey /trv/, i'm thinking of moving to a new city to live. right now i'm in western massachusetts, but a friend in NYC and another friend in Seattle have been trying to get me and my wife to move to their respective cities, both saying the job market is great and its fun to live there.

so what do you think? NYC or Seattle? what are the pros and cons of each?

there are a lot of cons to newyork city, its expensive, smells like piss all the time, infestations of rodents and roaches, crime you wont be able to afford more than a card board box to live in. Seattle all everyone complains about is the weather

do you think seattle is less expensive than new york? and i'm kind of iffy on seattle due to a lack of a subway system.

Shouldnt be to different than MA look at a realestate website. It has an excellent bus system and the Monorail system supposedly going to be expanded into a functional network at somepoint

Seattle. Hot hippie chicks ftw!

I live just outside of Seattle. I don't know how people own a car in Seattle, there's no parking anywhere except park houses where you have to pay like $5/hour. Fuck me.

i think my wife is putting the kaibosh on seattle...moving too far away from her parents, we'd only know one person in the state... bah.

You'll regret not moving there, it's beautiful and interesting and clean, also not clogged with tourists like NYC.
