Prague is unbelievably beautiful. Sometimes I check the weather there and just dream.

There are many good things about Prague.
I am little skeptical though that the weather is one of them.

going there later this year. very excited. going to one of the many TEFL schools. should be there for five weeks or so, can't wait. Eastern europe is gorgeous and is full of many hidden gems that most people wouldn't think of. Prague is easily the paris of eastern europe

The reason most people overlook everything east of the Fulda Gap is that the whole "brb yurop" tradition started during the Cold War. Eastern Europe might as well have vanished as far as tourism was concerned.

Prague is a very very beautiful city. There is a very big nightlife and the beer is mega cheap. Most people speak limited english so it would be good if you know the basics. Well... hmm. Simply saying "Hello" or "Thank you" in Czech helps alot. They are nice to anyone that attempts to learn Czech. Good shopping areas around Mustek. As for the weather... It's so hard to tell sometimes. One minute it's bright and sunny and the next there is a snow storm. But in the spring/summer it is very warm.

eastern europe for the most part was wiped off the american psyche during the cold war. it's a shame.

i'd love to go to prague

I'm going to Prague in about 3 weeks. What do I need to do while I'm there?

Depending on what you want, you can take in the beautiful architecture or get piss-drunk on cheap beer in the hipster clubs.

Go see the Castle (huge ass thing up on the hill) see the Charles Bridge (very packed usually, watch out for pick pocketters) typical tourist stuff. As for night life, I suggest M1 ( street name is Masna 1 down by old town square) or N11 (hmm....forgot the street name) Those are high end clubs. If you want a simple pub/bar, they are everywhere. (Pivo is the word for beer) and Dekuju (Deh-kuu-you) is thank you. If you want a Shisha bar (Hookah as you Americans call it) I suggest Dahab. Also very good Middle Eastern food. In terms of food... Hmm.. There are lots of good places. Watch out for the fish. It is not their forte. Man, I wish I could recommend a restaraunt but I forgot all of them. Oh! There is a good Japanese restaraunt called Yami. They speak english well there. Uhhmmm... Kampa Park is good. Right down by the river. Pretty view at night. Kogo's also very good. It's down by Mustek, next door to the movie theater. Cowboys, it's up on the hill towards the castle. They have stuff like steak there. Uhhhmm.. Mali Bhudda. Good vietnamese/thai restaurant near the swedish embassy.

Okay, I think that's enough. Hope it helps!

Umm... there english is limited. It depends on where you go. If you go to a touristy place, yeah they speak english. If you go to a little coffee shop in some alley... It's limited.
