I'm sad , I was supposed to do a summer study in Athens this year but it turned out to be too expensive ;_;

The first few days when we said we were Americans, we were met with polite smiles, but locals immediately switched back to speaking German and ignored us. Pretending to be Canadian earned us many more interesting conversations, although you better be up to speed on your geography- expect to talk about where you're from and be able to place nearby cities and towns.
