alright /trv/... i'm sick of europes lazyness... eastern europe is a shithole... and the rest is filled with "educated" (but lazy) fucks with not direction. i paused at writing educated because they'd like to think they are compared to other developed nations. the "EU" is a sham... no one likes each other.

yes, we get more vacation days, big whoop, but no one ever fucking does anything above and beyond their job title... they just move along.. sipping their fucking tea and it's getting boring as hell here in denmark.

too many "qualified" people with no aggression or strive and i'm about sick and tired of picking up slack for those who work for WORK. they pick a job because it pays good, but they do a half-assed job! they get the education and throw it away! it's fucking retarded!

i'm 28 years old and i've lived in three different countries for work... scotland, norway, and denmark. i'm looking to move to somewhere on the east or west coast of the US. plus, i'll get a GREAT $$ increase when i transfer my funds, but I need some help in choosing a location. i'm a software engineer, so, i was thinking texas, cali, but there are a lot of good locations on the east coast.... any help?

lol dude the job market is full with software engineers here. you better have a pretty fuckin impressive resume. also if you plan on moving up job titles plan on going back to school because you very can be stuck in the same position for the rest of your life. and no one here does shit above their job title either.

Why not try Toronto? It's 60-70 minutes from the border (it's actually in Canada) and it's much more "city-like" than anything in the states.

Texas, California are your best bets. You could probably make a butt load in Texas and live a pretty good life, California is kind of expensive.

San Jose, California and Santa Clara County are your best places to try and find a job doing software in California.

Hmm, what are your qualifications? Would your degree mean anything to any of the major tech companies in Silcon Valley?

If not, California is still pretty good. Texas as well. You'll probaly like Texas alot more though, with higher living standards and like minded people wanting to work.

moving into the us to work isn't as simple as saying "i want to move into the us to work"

good luck chasing that visa/greencard, there's plenty of competition

Software Engineer would love it here in N. Texas. theres TONS of companies wanting good & qualified people for anything related to computers. Land here is cheap & affordable, in Cali. the price you would pay to get just a simple house would get you several acres of land & a big house in N. Texas.

Houston is a good place as well, & Austin is neat. Although most the Computer companies are up here in Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Sure you'll have to deal with a lot of Black People & Mexicans on a day to day basis however in your Job just a bunch of White guys, maybe a few minorities here and there.

So what, is the EU an entity like the US now? Do you really have that much pride in the Union?
