Dearest /trv/

I know some of you must know this.

How expensive is alcohol in europe, both in bars and in stores. is there a control board like in canada? The countries I mean are England, Neatherlands, France and Ireland.

Also, how expensive was it in the mid to late 1800s? Speclifically in the neatherlands. Sorry for spelling mistakes, dont know how to right-click on mac to fix them.

In Norway, it depends a lot on what you buy. You can get stuff for 23 kroner, some stuff for like, 30 kroner... this is all per bottle or can in the shops, by the way.

At bars it's usually something like 50-55 kroner a pint, or for a mixed drink (for instance, vodka and battery)

The only place you can buy stuff other than beer is at the vinmonopolet (I think I spelled that wrong) and it's fucking expensive. 300-400 kroner for a liter of vodka. With wine you can pay about anything. I think I've seen maybe even 60 kroner bottles of wine, but for sure 90.

In England beer in pubs is a bit cheaper than beer in Canadian restaurants (liquor nazis ftl). I think its around 2-3 pounds per pint, but keep in mind you're generally getting much higher quality beers in England such as bitter ales, as opposed to the shitty macro lagers that plague North America. I'm not sure how much beer is at convenience stores in Britfagland.
