Try not to bring more than a week's worth of clothing and visit laundromat's often, just one heavy and one light jacket, etc. If you can sew, bring a small sewing kit in case you get a hole in your pants or something, since you'll be wearing the same clothes all the time.
As for luggage storage, most hotels and hostels have a luggage room where you can leave your stuff after having checked out, so you can still spend the whole day in the city on the day of your departure without lugging your bags around. If this isn't an option, most train stations and airports have luggage storage for slightly expensive hourly/daily rates.
