/trv/ my university club is planning a trip to Las Vegas May 1st through the 3rd and I've been placed in charge of making the room accommodations.

This is proving to be rather difficult as there are about 15 or so people going and I'm not sure the best way to go about this.

Are there any timeshare type websites where we can get some cheap rooms or places that offer discounts on large groups? Haven't been to Vegas in a long time and am not sure what to do.

Any suggestions based on past experience or from anyone in the business?

Thanks

Just get a pair of suites on the Strip--Bellagio is nice, so is the Venetian or really any of the newer hotels--and cram 7 people into each. use couches, rollaways, the floor, whatever. You aren't going to Vegas to sleep.

Suites would be excellent but I failed to mention that low cost is a big factor. We're using money we raised through fund raisers so the more we keep down the price the less each member will have to pay out of pocket.

Well, uh...off-strip hotels are much, much cheaper, but you really don't want to walk anywhere not on the strip after dark. The Stratosphere is on the strip, dirt cheap, and about as nice as any Comfort Inn; check what their prices are for groups. Keep in mind you'll be taking a taxi to and from the rest of the strip, though; it's far as fuck away from everything.
