I live near at Atlanta, and me and a couple of friends sat next to a Japanese family of tourists at a Medieval Times. I have longish hair and a beard and I'm pretty thin, so during the middle of the show the mom pointed to her daughter and was like "She think you look like Jesus!" She then pumped her fists in the air and said something along the lines of "Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ!" We took pictures together after the show.

Best people I ever sat next to.

They go to the Ryukyu Islands or Hawaii for beach places. A lot of them go to Europe and are disappointed to see that it's not all ruins and THE QUEEEEEEEEN.

Is there any place they don't go (at least in the western world)?

I live in Denmark, which is a small country, and even we get lots of japs during summer.

I went to Bali (indonesia) last year, lots of Japanese tourists there, and mainly groups of young females, funny thing was alot of them barely leave their hotel unless they had something booked like a guided tour or a surfing lesson or something. I got quite friendly with a young jap girl on my first day there, met her at the hotel pool, sadly she was flying out that afternoon.

I believe many japanese also go to Thailand

Australia is really popular because it's the closest Western/English speaking country.

Yes, in Oz we get tight groups of them moving through the tourist areas. They tend to have better cameras than the equally numerous Chinese tourists. Some parts of Queensland are signposted in Japanese as well as English simply in support of the tourist trade.

I see more Japanese in NW Washington. Especially in the spring/summer during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I live right out in the fields were they plant the bulbs and when they bloom it's like they draw in foreigners. The Japanese just love the vibrant colors, what with the great cameras they have.

Also, I never knew I could have so many options for teriyaki places before moving here, lol.
