I like to listen to lots of 40s to early 60s classics when I'm cruising on a long road trip. I tune it out a lot but sometimes I start listening again when the moment its juuuust right and it is magic.

I love taking long road trips, alot of people cant stand it but for me is times to chill to some music and dig some scenery. It really all depends on what kind of landscape that I am going through which will determine what I listen to.
Farmland: Usually standard indie rock/pop or an audiobook/lecture
Desert: Alt-country or Post-rock (Friends of Dean Martinez, Calexico, Explosions in the Sky)
Mountains: Folk, Indie, Country
City: Electronic/IDM
Nighttime: Ambient, Post-rock, chill electronic (Boards of Canada, Mercury Program, ulrich schnauss)
