Sup /trv/, i'm sure you get this all the time, but here goes. Due to some "issues", I have to leave the US sometime around January. I'll have to return to the shitty 3rd world country I was born in for a short while and then i'll be able to move to wherever I want but the US. Got any decent suggestions? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to traveling and foreign lifestyles, I was considering Canada but would really like to hear some opinions.

which country are you actually from?

Well, I live in Norway, as long as you are "persecuted" in your home country, you may seek asylum here, and what you will get is; a free home(usally an apartment, but you may end up on the country side living with 9000 other niggers , and it sucks, but the scenery is nice thou),welfere checks, free health care, and free norwegian course. If you immigrate here, you will get welfare checks

In the same position as OP, I am however moving out willingly (mainly because I can't wait any longer for change).

I think you will do fine in any English speaking country as long as you have the money and papers. I personally would go with Canada or maybe Australia.

If your situation is exactly like mine, you can come back to the US in ten years if you really wanted. Even if it is a shitty 3rd world country, you will probably be able to do more things there than you would staying in the US.

Good luck, OP

I've heard good things about Norway, can you tell me a bit more about the people and the economy? I mean I can always research these things but i'd rather hear it from the perspective of someone living there.

>>50907

Yeah I would've ended up moving out willingly in about a year myself.

Well by what you're telling me, Norway sounds like a hell of a place to consider. How's the scenery/weather? and if I DO by some chance end up going there, is there anything I should know beforehand?

Well, in south of the town of Tromdheim(its about in the middle of Norway) there is it decent summer weather, bout 20+celsious from mid may till early september.I live in Tromsø in the northen part, here it is about 14-20ish degrees in the summer, but we have midnigth sun,so from late may till late july its sun 24/7, but from desember till late january its dark 24/7, above the artice circle ftw! The scenery is veeery nice here.We have mountains, lakes, forrests and such, so you can go hiking, fishing and hunting where ever in the country you are,the only down side is that its expensive, about 11usd(55-70norwegian krones) for a beer on a pub,but 70nok for a sixpack at a grosery store. Otherwise, we have cold winters, lots of snow, but not that much, usually ist max 1 meter(where I live, but about 7years ago it was neary 3 meters snow), the tempratour is about -5-10 degrees.

Sounds good, what about food? Are groceries expensive? and does it cost much to eat out? That's my last question

>>50935
Well, for about 25usd a day you will surive if you buy food at a groserystore. If you eat at a good burger shop it will cost about the same, but at burger at burgerking or mcdonalds costs about about 10 usd, resurants and such costs about 25+++ for a good meal

Fuck, well if the jobs there are high paying then I would hope that doesn't become much of a problem. Anyway i'm out, but thanks for the advice. Very informative

Theres also the DREAM Act, but that shit still hasn't passed and it was proposed in 2000 something. Maybe with a new president it will finally happen, but that would mean wasting another year or two here.
