Yo /trv!

I'm jumping ship on summer work and going backpacking in North America for the summer, but need some ideas of where to go. I'm doing a massive tour, distance doesn't matter, and I don't really have a time limit. However I'm a bit short for cash so I'm going to be camping / hosteling for the most part so I've got enough left over to party hard.

So /trv, where in North America can you recommend for me, and why?

Make sure to stop in Chicago. It's amazing, you won't be disappointed.

Avoid Atlanta, it's boring. See San Fransisco, maaaaybe New Orleans.

This is true. The only hostel-price hotels in the US are the kind that rent rooms by the hour.

If you're for the Wild West and an OK show (at the O.K. Corral lol), go to Tombstone, Arizona for a day. Make sure to be there by morning because everything closes at like 7 or 8.
