A lot like North Korea, censorship happy, deeply conservative, crass corporatism etc. but all based on capitalism instead of Soviet communism
Seoul's fun if you like to drink and don't get rowdy, and the scenery, especially in Jeju and Pusan is spectacular--the people are wary of foreigners, even if you're nice, so just bow a lot and be submissive and all should be well.
