My friends and I, (my brother and two friends, all male) are planning on taking a trip to europe.

We haven't really decided where to travel and we don't really have any itinerary.

Some places we'd definitely like to hit up though are Germany, France, Amsterdam, etc. A.K.A. the typical places amerifags want to travel to.

But we don't want to have a typical tourist trip . Where are some good places to travel to have fun? Where are some places we should avoid? We all have some sort of self defense skill by the way.

What have you, /trv/?

Go to Germany. The best beer, nice people, nice countryside(atleast in the south), interesting old Cities like Aachen, Trier, Nuremberg, Munich, Dresden, Hamburg or Berlin.
Go to Bavaria and make a day trip to Switzerland or Austria.

Or Start at Nuremberg, go to Regensburg, then Munich, then continue to Salzburg in Austria and after that go south to Venice and finally Rome.

Completely different Amerifag here. I'm planning on going to Europe as well, but completely different from the OP. The places on my list are Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Lithuania, and any place you'd recommend en route between them.

Spain is awesome. I recommend spending a good bit of time there, I really liked San Sebastian.

My mom's family apparently came from there, but if it's that boring, recommend another country east of Germany (and not in the Balkans. I wanna live.).

my dad included a trip to Yugoslavia in his Mandatory Young Adult Trek Across Europe....granted Tito was still in power and it was stable...

To OP: London, Bayeaux and Sweden are made of pure win.
