Ok /trv/ here's the deal. April 28th, I'm going to Ireland for about 15-20 days. On this trip (Collegiate Study Abroad) I go from Dublin south, around the coast of the Island until ultimately coming back to Dublin. I have roughly 2-3 free days on average in each major area, 5 in Dublin. Assume the main cities around the country is where I'll be (Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Sligo, Antrim, Cork, etc...) and the main natural sights I'll be as well (Cliffs of Moher, Giant's Causeway, The Burren, Gulf of Antrim, Aran Islands). What do I buy and what do I do with my free time and where should I go/what should I do to not look like a complete douche?

Pic unrelated.

The Aran island are shit, there is actually nothing on them but Aran jumpers. The helicopter we took over was the only worthwhile thing.

Make sure you hit the bottom left corner of Ireland, Kerry is fantastic, specifically Dingle and Tralee. Take the boat out to see the Dolphin, climb the mountains on the pass over to Dingle from Tralee, and write your name on the rocks, I found my original scratch 7 years later, awesome.

Just buy lots of Guinness, and dont be afriad to talk to people in a pub, everyone is usually friendly.

Im from Belfast, but well, lol not so friendly up here in the North.

Hey yeah, not meaning to hijack this dude's thread but I'm gonna be in Dublin on St. Paddy's day (woooo!!!!!) with a cute girl I used to work with, anywhere we should go on the 17th, also, days after? Things to do/not to do? Also, not looking like a complete douche? (We're both attractive people =D)

We're taking a day to travel to Glasgow to where we're going to be staying for the remainder of our trip, so anything on the way worth checking out for a bit might be cool too...

What do I need to keep in mind up in the north? Belfast is one of the cities we're hitting. I'm almost positive we'll be in Kerry as well.

As far as the thread hijack, it's not much of a hijack, good questions that I can use anyhow.

When it boils down to coming back to the States, do you know anything about the duty fees or anything like that? Suggested monetary dealings at all? I planned on dropping all my money but about 200 dollars to convert to Euros for emergency funds, this a smart move?
