I'm planning a family-subsidized trip to NYC to see the place before cannibalism becomes the norm in USA.

What are the fancy and nice places to stay in manhattan? Where to visit other than the cliche?

I never stay anywhere in the city, just usually stay up all night talking to random people on the subway and in parks. Washington Square Park is one of my favorites.

You're going to the wrong place if you don't like cliché

Actually, I did stay there once overnight with this Filipino chick that I porked around with. So, that's what I would recommend. Meet someone, hook up, and crash at their place for free.

Also, take the Staten Island ferry over and see the Chinese Scholars Garden. Much win is to be had.

I'm an NYCfag and I can tell you, do tourist shit. Honestly, it's fine to do all that shit because you see the city as you go. Take the subway, ride the bus and don't be afraid to ask people. We may be assholes, but we will help you find where you are going regardless.

If you are in to certain things, specify so I can help give specific areas/stores to get your insides tingling.

And NYC is a grid, it's very easy to get around for cheap.
