I'm finishing up my work and life in New Zealand and moving back home to the West Island in Novemeber.

Before then I'd like to check out the country. Any reccomendations? So far I've been living in Dunedin, and I've seen Queenstown for a few hours. That's about it.

Should I bother going to the North Island?

Pic related; it's me throwing my fat arse off a bridge. I wouldn't mind doing it again.

I'm heading up to Chch with my boss to see Bill Bailey in September. I'll have to look up the tea house. Thanks!

I'll also go ahead and suggest Dumplings for their $2 rice. Generous serving, mysterious sauce and ridiculously popular. Located in Shades Arcade opposite the Bus Exchange and near Ballyntynes.

Anything else I'd suggest would be related to eating or shopping, I can't think of anything else to do here.

God no. Fried rice! They also sell other nutritionally void "must try" deep-fried comfort foods like chinese breadsticks (long xiao bao), wontons and of course, pork dumplings (char sui bao).
