I got an idea for a travel business. Instead of going to a civilized country where you're in no danger and you just bum around like a tourist, you could go to an extreme country with "low government control" like Somalia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Iraq, or Afghanistan. It would be implied that you're encouraged to do stuff that's illegal in America, but it wouldn't actually say it in the pamphlets.

When you get off the plane you would be handed an electronic translator that can translate between English and the majority language of the area you're in. I figure voice recognition software, google translator, and windows narrator could be put in one little box with a speaker and mic and work decent. You would also be handed some gold pieces, the local currency, a satellite phone, a knife, a first aid kit, and body armor. They would just let you loose for a week and hope you come back to the landing strip.

You would have to sign a contract that says everything is confidential, I can't speak about what I did, nobody is liable if I'm hurt during the week, and if I don't come back at the end it's assumed I decided to stay without telling anyone.

What do you guys think? would you do something like this? I know I would. It's like the army without regulations or missions or long term contracts. What's not to like?

They should make a tv show about this.

Could you hunt the savages?

you would be robbed of everything as soon as you stepped off the plane

imagine trying to use that electronic translator! they'd take you hostage within an instant!

As lulzy as it sounds, there's a few problems with your plan:

1) They'd have to get visas for most of those countries you listed, if they could even get in at all.
2) The translator would crash within probably about 5 minutes, because it's running Windows.
3) The insurance cost of the operation would be astronomical.

Think about these points, OP. Refine your plan and you can probably make this work. We're all counting on you.

The visa thing is a good point, i don't know about that. But most of the people crazy enough to do something like this wouldn't mind canceling their insurance just for the trip. Some people say everyone would get robbed as soon as they land, but around each air strip there would be a gun vendor that is technically not affiliated with the company, and if you gave the correct handshake he'd sell you the good shit. There would also be some armed guards on the airstrip, because it would be owned by the company.

yes, but you probably wouldn't last long.

Not insurance for them. Fuck them! Insurance for you, the business owner. Even though you make them sign away their rights, you know one of their family members is going to sue you anyway when they get pwned.
>but around each air strip there would be a gun vendor that is technically not affiliated with the company
Now, OP, why would you give up all that extra profit to some swarthy local? Sell the guns on the plane! You know some of them aren't going to come prepared like a bunch of n00bs.

Your idea is stupid. You're stupid to live. Kill yourself in a flamboyant way that's fun for the rest of us to watch.

trek through South Asia (specifically Pakistan) and pick Afghani Sativa along the way. Get high through the Himalayas. September is a fine time. I did that and turned out fine.

on a side note, I was there for a while and started watching Dexter too. I started thinking about murdering people for fun, lol.

Getting around in Russia will pretty well require you to make the occasional bribe.

Africa + Southeast asia are the other obvious ones. India to an extent as well. Rule of law is also weak in China.

I personally find the Phillipines are a good middle-ground on lawlessness/extremity vs safety
