Ok, so I have 2 free months in the Summer and plenty of cash. Where should I go in East Asia? I want areas of great scenic beauty contrasted with vast metropolis', I can go to any number of places over the two months.

I'd say China, but it might be too polluted. I'm not entirely certain.

I heard Japan's nice.

ahaha ive seen that ad

it totally makes thailand look like a nonstop loli sex party where you just can tap any girl you see on the shoulder and have instasex, therefore having the opposite effect as intended

Japan's a nice place and the cities are fucking clean but the downside is that everything is too fucking expensive over there.

I'd go to Japan; but part of that is that I can read Japanese at a first grade level and can speak it a little better.

And, the food is pretty good.

In Thailand right now, not much to see aside from the regular money sucking tourist traps. Land of Smiles - only smile because they don't understand what you're saying. The foreigner is always in the wrong, not allowed to sue. 6 Taxis don't know what a fucking hospital is. If you're going there for questionable genders, I guess you can go.

It really doesn't help when a 100yen coin(around $1 US) is the size of a quarter. You can keep spending those fuckers till you're broke.

Probably stop by Shanghai and then go to the more scenic interior regions of China. Everywhere else is pretty bad.
Hong kong is OK to visit, but there really is not too much to see. Macao is good too if you are into gambling.
Oh yeah Beijing 2008 might be nice if you are into that sort of thing.
Just be cautious of pickpockets.

You best be joking.

I mean if you are into China

No there is not much to see in Hong Kong. There's that peak and the giant Buddha but thats about it. I rather go to some other places. Of course, if you are into night clubs and such it is not bad. It is really not that different from a western city, with the exception of good cantonese food.

pick a place in Borneo. If you are in mood for some jungles and shopping then Sarawak is a good stop.

I just want to go there to drink a whiskey on the top floor of a hotel while looking over the awesome skyline.

A mental image of myself doing that made me grow a beard.

Yea, some parts of China are extremely beautiful in terms of nature. Mountains and mists and that kind of thing. Another place was the Yangtze Gorges before the fucking commies fagged it up with their dam.

Yeah it is one of the more untouched placed in China.

The great mountains are also AMAZING in terms of scenery.

I'm from Hong Kong and>>175has it pretty much nailed. As far as sightseeing goes, there's not much to see. The best things about HK are the mountains, the beaches (the unpolluted ones at least) and shopping (clothes, shoes, bootleg DVDs).

So unless you plan on doing lots of hiking and camping/BBQing by the beach you probably won't enjoy it.

Go to the most metropolitan of em all, Singapore, then Malaysia. Japan if you're weeaboo and into animu.

One of the best things to do anywhere, hong kong included, is to walk around and take pictures and see sights. "Not much to do"? Make up your own stuff to do.
