Good evening, /trv/. I'd really love to visit Monaco sometime, and assuming it's as nice as it seems, I'd like to move there sometime thereafter. I know quite a bit of French (and would be more or less fluent by the time I could move there), and I'm going to start learning Italian soon also, so language isn't a problem.

I'm just a bit worried that I won't be able to find work there. I'm trained and certified as a police officer in the U.S. I have some meager certification in computer science, but that's not likely to do me any good. Would that be sufficient for finding a simple job that pays a living wage? Could I perhaps work as an officer there with only my U.S. certification? Also, does anyone know if the cost of living is very high there (I wouldn't be surprised, since it's all rich businessmen and such)?

Any help (and other advice, if there's something of note that I might need to know about the place) will be greatly appreciated!

Nobody has anything to say on this?

I hate to break it to you, but the chances of you successfully obtaining residency there and an actual place to live are extremely slim, simply because it's just prohibitively expensive for anyone who isn't extraordinarily wealthy.

Your best bet is to try and find somewhere to live outside of, but near Monaco. Even then, be prepared to pay out the ass for a place to live.
