I did once when I missed a flight from KIX to YVR.

I raged over and over at Air Canada because their 1-800 toll-free is a lie and is NEVER free outside of North America. In addition, that automated ansering system cost me countless yen. In the end, it was no help to call their North American HQ, you should always contact the local office.

It was 24 hrs later and 22000 poorer did they let me on their next flight.

That aside, sleeping on airport benchs hurt your back, and you'll smell the next day not having had a shower.

Also, their delicious food section on another floor did not allow carts, so I couldn't go inside and get good food.

Goddamn I raged.

You expected a non-rage experience with Air Canada?

Foolish, foolish anon.

If you didnt check it in, you usually have to take it with you or pay to store it. It's a pain in the ass, especially you're bringing back a shitload of crap with you.
>> OP
OP here.

Ill probably take the sitting on a chair with bag as pillow route.
Hm. There is a prayer room in the airport im going to. I wonder if itll have nice chairs.

I slept 3 times at motherfuckin' Bristol Airport because I didn't want to pay a bed in a young hostel for 6 hours of bad sleeping with pro snorers.
I hate this city now.
>> Anonymous
If its a decent sized city, just priceline a hotel near the airport for $40 or $50 dollars. Sleeping in a bed is much better than sleeping on an airport chair.
>> Anonymous
$40 is much better than a comfortable nights sleep. Maybe you just won the lottery but not everyone is a rich bastard. I've slept on cardboard boxes a couple of airports. Overnight most airports are pretty quiet, especially smaller ones. Just act like you're early for a checkin, look at screens when you arrive, check clocks etc. Then settle down for a couple hours and repeat.Oh, another protip, get some tight fitting earphones to block out outside noise.

I'd wager most airports have a place where you can buy some earplugs (like at a convenience store).

I feel like an old geezer admitting this, but I always bring earplugs on trips because hostels are full of bitches or if I want to take a nap in an airport somewhere its almost impossible without plugs

I will be sleeping in an airport for the next five nights, but because I work there. Five 18-hour shifts in a row son.

Just lie on the god damn floor. Tis what I always do, and it's cheap. Not that hard.
>> Anonymous
Just lie down on the floor, close your eyes, and maybe bring a jacket to put over you if it's cold. God damn, be a man.

jackets are for fags

I agree. ALSO COPYING WHAT I SAID BASICALLY is for fags.

Chicago O'Hare airport sucks goat dick for sleeping in. The seats aren't squishy or bendy, made of cold hard plastic and the strong winds somehow slam freezing coldness through the large windows as if to say "FUCK YOU ARIZONAFAG!" Its also very uncomfortable to lay down on a bank of seats.

Spent the night sleeping on the floor of Narita airport in Japan. The whole place closes down at night, but they let you in if you have a flight the following day. Slept on the ground in my sleeping bag, security guard was present all night long and about 10 other people sleeping there.

Not bad at all. Nice and dark, quiet too.

For most of the world, OP, it's a huge shit sandwich to sleep in an airport. It would be a great fucking idea if they provided some basic accomodations, like cots and pillows.
