Alright, OP here >>47392 Out of the three cities I listed, I think Austin would be my best option, But I am going to try to check out San Antonio for at least a month, I think I might know someone who might be able to help me there.
>>47427 Yeah, I got stuff for self defense, just in case. I had an idea though, I do have a bicycle, should I hop on that and try to see how far I can get or just ditch it and try for hitchhiking instead? ... or both?
>>47453 Yeah, I know you gotta call them to check up on your application, and I did that for several jobs. They even told me that they would call me back the day after I called, but they didn't so I call instead and the same thing happens. Yeah, I've checked craigslist in my area, very few listings and most I am unqualified for or they're obvious scams. Though that nanny thing is a pretty good idea, not sure if I'd be able to land one of those jobs. I'll keep it in mind though.
>>47534 Thanks for the concern anon. I have been trying to gather my stuff, making lists of what I'll need and using what money I have for supplies and whatever else I'll need.
>>47548 Where do you people see this pride in me? I do not understand why you seem to think I am so prideful simply because I found myself in this unfortunate situation and seek advice on 4chan. You are right about me being misinformed though, I did not expect nor plan for this ahead of time like I probably should have. I have heard of unemployment benefits, though my last job wasn't exactly legal, and I was paid in cash, so there are no record of me ever being employed there. Is there anyway I can work around that? Also, I'm not here for sympathy, just advice.
>>47554 Unfortunately moving in with parents is not an option. But I will try to apply into colleges/schools as soon as I can make it to another city. I have not ruled going back to school as an option of mine.
