Have any of you faggots ever traveled along the San-in coast of Japan? what is it like in these somewhat more rural parts? Anything paticular to see?

Train fag here would like to take a train into it and such.

I was there in early autumn, and it was quite lovely. If you've ever been to the Oregon coast, it felt to me kind of like that in terms of climate.

It's definitely away from the usual tourist loops, and of course is much less densely populated than the pacific side, so I'd only recommend it if your Japanese skills are up to par - you won't find much help with the language barrier. I really liked it, though.

Check out local museums - many towns and villages will have one or two notable artists in their history, and will have a small museum with their works and related works. The net result is you walk into a very small museum that is absolutely packed to the gills with great stuff.

I'm from Vancouver, BC, so I kind of know what you mean.

I love these far away rustic places in Japan, my previous trip having been in Shikoku.

What kind of specialities do they have in the area?
