Hiking in Japan Anonymous
Does anyone know where to find good info about hiking in Japan? Info about trail locations, how to get there (and back), how long/difficult they are, etc. seems strangely hard to come by. Preferably in English, but a good Japanese site would be great too. http://japanhike.wordpress.com/ seems decent but are there any others? I'm mainly interested in the Kansai area.

rs/torrent of the lonely planet book would be pretty damn cool too, if someone has it.

I like Japan, eat my balls. Also, I'm not going there specifically to hike, hiking is merely something I intend to do while I'm there.

Isn't hiking the domain of Korean businessmen?

Either way, far too wap.

OP the best thing to do would be to get yourself a guide for your hiking adventures. The Japanese countryside is full of ninjas and you shouldn't wander alone, it's far too dangerous. A semi literate guide can be found in most rural villages, and besides being useful if you run into ninjas they also know the best places to hike and can teach you how to cook an awesome sticky date pudding.

A guide can be had for around 50 of your US dollars per day. Alternatively, you can pay them in scat porn, Japs can't resist that shit (check that pun yo).

If you can't get a guide (no social skills etc) I would suggest staying at home and masturbating to pics of Eva Unit 01.

Who the fuck pays to have some slack-jawed yokel follow you around when you're trying to have a good time? Also, I seemed to be able to evade those ninjas quite easily last spring, so I doubt they're going to be a problem this time either.

Actually, no. Whenever we try to post something generally related to Japan, it gets trolled and saged to page 10 immediately. /jp/ is basically /v/ and /a/'s sequel.

OP here. Yeah, but no reason to bump this thread any more, except if you want to troll the trolls.

And for what it's worth, I did post this on /jp/ first. I don't think /jp/ should be just for toe hoes and I remember we had some good threads there last spring, so I try to encourage non-2D content over there as much as I can.
