Hello /trv/
tomorrow I am going to Hollywood and was wondering if you guys know some great places to go to. Preferably some cool horror shops or memorabilia stores. Or just overall the best places to go to. Thank you.

Hollywood Toys & Costumes, 6600 Hollywood Blvd.

Soap Plant Wacko, 4633 Hollywood Blvd. (East Hollywood area)

Two of my favorite memorabilia and horror shops. There are tons more all around Hollywood blvd. though, you see something interesting, just wander on in.

Best way to find your favorite spot. Plenty of 'em.

Where should I start walking? I've been there before but I think I started in the middle of the blvd. I'd like to spend the whole day on the town since this is my first time going without any "baggage"

Seriously, even though it's a tourist-apocalypse, start at the Hollywood & Highland mall and work your way back down the boulevard. You may have to backtrack because there are a nice amount of shops on both sides of the boulevard.

Go nuts. And should you not be satisfied (which I doubt) you can either drive/bus it a few boulevards down to Melrose and get tangled up in all the crazy shops there. Amazing variety as well.

That is the mall in front of the Capitan theater right?

And thank you so much for your responses.

Yes, that's the one. I have no clue what's playing there at the moment but if you have the time catch a movie there just to bask in awe at the interior and main theater room.

Incredible.

1)Go to Thai Town (on Hollywood Blvd, although not technically in Hollywood).

2)Go to Sapp Coffee Shop
Sapp Coffee Shop
5183 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90027
(323) 665-1035

4)Order Boat noodle soup

profit, etc.

Seriously, do it faggot. I was a bit squeamish at first, but it is now my favorite soup, bar none. It tastes like viking angels.

Or go to the Pig n. Whistle right next to the Egyptian theatre on the blvd. and order the California Nacho Plate.

You'll shoot in your fucking pants.

It's family run and pretty small. They cater mostly to immigrants and a few hipsters, so it's pretty cheap. 15-20 bucks ( cash onry) a person is pleeeeenty. Like, there's no way you could ever spend that much, but better safe than sorry. Don't order anything per person, just get 4 or 5 things that you want and share them. If you have doubts as to what to get (besides boat noodle soup), ask the waitress, they usually know what white people tend to like, since some Thai food is a little um "exotic" for most non-Thais. Oh yeah, and get Thai Iced Tea: theirs is great, it makes the kind you get in big white restaurants taste like piss. Shit rocks. Don't bring picky eaters though. It takes bravery, but every ounce of it will be rewarded, I promise you.

Here's an LA weekly review of the place so you don't think I'm trolling you. Write here with your thoughts if you can make it, I recommend it. Best Thai food outside of Thailand!

Here's another more detailed review. While you wait for your food, you can look at the hell-of tacky decorations for fun. They have CDs dangling from the doorway for some reason, and this absurdly weird Thai TV channel.

So yeah, in summary:
Very cheap, parking is terribleeee, bring cash, order Boat Noodle soup with beef (not the one with liver!), and thai Iced Tea, in addition to 4 or 5 items of choice.

And one more thing: Of the 4 or 5 things you order, one of them will probably taste violently bad to you. I'm an expert (thaiexpert.jpg) and even I order a dud once in awhile. It's part of the charm, so don't bring someone without a sense of humor!

I have those handicap car signs that you dangle on the mirror. That gives me free parking on the meter right?

I meant terrible in terms of quantity, not price.

But still, that's one of the perks of having a handicap sign right?

Wow. Yeah I TOTALLY buy that this cockhead lives here.

Anyway,>>76856

Could you be more specific? You want somewhere in Hollywood to bring the date to a close? If so, I suggest either the top of Mulholland Dr. at night (a drive upwards but still in the Hollywood vicinity) which has the best view in town bar-none.

Or, the Santa Monica pier which always comes through like gangbusters. As far as dates are concerned anyway.

Mulholland Drive sounds geat, is their a specific address for the top of the place?

Once you're up there, you'll notice there are multiple spots to stop at for a view. Pick one or try them all out, just keep driving and you'll keep coming across them.

you should go to Necromance on Melrose, or Dark Delicacies in Burbank or Halloween Town for that matter. There's a bunch, you just have to dig. The Shrine is also cool but it's mainly just goth clothes, sometimes they have cool shit though.

The Observatory always works on me. Beautiful view and such, guys always put on the move looking over the city. Never fails. The Getty works as well. If you just want some random place to end up at...muholland dr is good to drive around and park and make out
