NZ isn't a country where you can rock up with a 10 week ESOL course under your belt and teach.
Whether you want to teach pre-primary, secondary or tertiary, the only way you can teach is by having a postgraduate diploma in education, which takes a year of study. Otherwise, you could transfer to a university here and get a PhD in your field and hope that the university will take you on.
NZ doesn't have much of a German cirriculum either, the two major languages being taught are French and Japanese. Hell, even Chinese is on the rise.
The only opportunity left would be to do some home tutoring, but I'm hesitant that you would find it a viable long-term.
