Hey /trv/, I've never posted on this board before, or even been to it, but I need your advice.

This summer a bunch of my friends and I are planning on making a trip to Europe. We want to go through England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy... a few places in between, but those are the big ones we want to hit up. There's about seven of us, and we're wanting to do it all old-school ultra-low-budget backpacking style.

So I have several questions for you guys. First of all is cost. About how much would you guys say this trip is going to run us per person? We're planning on spending about two months over there, staying in hostels and such. Can you give me a ball-park estimate on how much the whole shebang will cost us, including lodging, food, travel, and general spending money? Just a rough estimate would be nice. I need to know how much I should start saving each month.

Another question is for suggested sights and destinations. What are the places we should definitely check out while we're on the way? What's the best way to travel across Europe for a bunch of American college students? What are some good places we should try to pass through, and what should we do once we get there?

Thanks a bunch in advance guys, I appreciate it.

Only useless dickwads would visit a new forum and not search other open threads for information before posting.

I found one thread that was pretty much identical to mine, but it was full of useless bitching about how violent Europeans are. Also the OP seemed like a paranoid retard. So excuse me for trying to give the topic a second chance.

yeah bawwwwwwwww there's like a zillion threads on countries in Europe open already. You think people on this board want to talk about the same shit every day because you can't be arsed to read the other posts before posting?
GTFO.

Legitimate attitude, far too many questions to touch upon. Do some ground work of your own and come back.

OP, you really need to do some of that work yourself.
Wiki the countries for sightseeing stuff because a list for all the stuff you want would have hundreds of things when you're not specific about where to go.

However, I can tell you a great and fairly cheap way to travel across Europe in a single word: Eurail (basically InterRail for non-Europeans). It goes through a fuckton of European countries and you can check it out at http://www.eurail.com/1_about_us

I've lived in Europe most of my life and I can tell you it will cost exactly 2492.18
