Hey guys, I might be moving to Boston, MA from SC. I wanted to get a feel for the prices of apartments and other costs of living there. How is the public transit or do I need to bring a car? Where is a good place to start looking for employment, my degree is a B.S. in Management. Craig's List? Temps?

might be? I suggest you look for a job well before you actually move. I would only trust Craigslist for jobs that require to do menial tasks. If you are definitely moving and need any source of income, then look there.

I think companies of higher standing would still use newspapers and such to advertise jobs if they are looking for people. Try the Boston Herald or the Boston Globe. Also, if the company is fairly large, then you could probably just apply as long as they have a branch in Boston.

Definitely craigslist since there are so many different catagories. For a 2 bedroom apartment it's about 1400-2000 a month(so i would consider getting a roommate or finding one to move in with). The transit system is pretty good in my opinion. It's easy to remember with colors unlike NYC with letters and numbers.

Ask /n/ about the T (what everyone calls the MBTA). There's quite a few of us bostonfags there.

>Highest degree is a bachelor's.

Well, son, I'd suggest enrolling in one of the dozens of colleges in the Boston area for at LEAST a Master's.
