Good day /trv/. Here's the deal. I'm going to a language learning trip to Japan and the travelling company only provides trips only to Fukuoka. Now im here to ask that is that a place where i should go if i want to live like a common "Jap", or does it have something like different culture or anything like that. Provide me with your knowledge.

Fukuoka is pretty awesome, and no one really speaks a word of English. I'm not sure if you're going into the city or not but it's a good place for immersion.

ITT weaboo goes to Japan thinking his miserable life and all his problems will go away.

I went to japan and taught while the JET program was huuge.

everyone of the people with our group were total fucking losers.

>>70222
I heard JET program is useless unless you know some Japanese in advantage.

Meh, some are losers, some aren't.
Japan attracts either A) the weeaboos or B) white kids who want to be showered with attention from Japanese folk or C) people who are genuinely interested in Japan for academic interests but also indulge in A) or B).

Those were some sweeping generalizations right there I just made, but Westerners have a diverse amount of reasons for living in Japan. Many like to subjectively deem them "losers" when no one cares what you think, let alone people interested in living/studying Japan.

I'm going to be in Fukuoka in about 3 weeks. I get this impression that Fukuoka is a major city, well-developed and populated, clean, etc but pretty much under the radar for most foreigners because it's not Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka.

What about someone that looks American? Do you think they'd be let to go inside?

The typical Japanese can not tell the difference. It's alllooksame in reverse.

Is it because the Japanese men have small dicks? ):
Or because most whites don't know Japanese and the Japanese don't want to learn English?
Or is it both?

English, Swedish, French, German, Dutch all pretty much look and sound the same if you come from a native Japanese speaking background.

Most of the businesses that exclude like that actually say JAPANESE ONLY or NO FOREIGNERS, they don't single out Americans. Slapping a Canadian flag on your shitty backpack won't get your gringo ass in.

>>70386
Sometimes the "JAPANESE" in the "JAPANESE ONLY" signs refers to the language, meaning you're allowed in but only if your Japanese is good enough to prevent any serious misunderstandings regarding whatever service they're providing (lol sex tourism)

No. They don't want filthy gaijins to steal their stuff and rape their women. Refer to this video for what your experience will be like.

and some foreigners I know never have problems. Depends on where you go in Japan. You could find the same thing in the USA (maybe not the equivalent of "Japanese Only" restrictions, but general discrimination).

Fukuoka is awesome, all the benefits of a large city (good culture, clubbing, gigs etc) but without the pollution and ugliness of Tokyo.

Debito is a nonissue. Debito is the cancer that is killing the community of Japan nerds who discuss Japan on the internet.

Hahah THANKS for bringing this douche up!
Hes the perfect symbol of western fagorty. Mindlessly following a 2nd graders logic of "Thats wrong , my skins white so you dont let me in, thats rasist". He never fucking thinks it has nothing to do with just being white, but everything dealing with culture.....
"Oh yea we will let you in our club white man, JUST because YOU want to come in".... Lets see a Japanese go to a southern rodeo without getting any hostility like "What are you doing here", or better yet a small community run bar and BAM a japanese shows up... yea the cowboys will accept them with open arms. So sick of douches like this, great he has a dick and got a Jp grl pregnate... shes prob "white-washed" anyway. Any of you guys who have been to Japan for a while know what Im talking about, the stark difference between Jp girls and then Jp girls with a western hard on.... they only look japanese but are slowly growing into banannas. UHG i fucking hate this douche

-P.S written buy a white american
-P.P.S Any white guy who goes to Jp has to voice this shit and let the locals know how this douche does not speak for everyone

And no debito is NOT just killing jap fags online, you obvsouly rnt thinking about the big picture of social/cultural development and historical minority imapcts on collective culture.... Serioulsy

I don't know what people are complaining about, I went to Japan on business trips all the time in the 90s and I've never been forced out of a business or establishment

Sure I've walked into a few bars outside the city and gotten a bunch of stares from short Asian salarymen, but who cares? What are they gonna do? Man the fuck up.
