Has anyone ever thought about joining the french foreign legion? Its always on my reserves incase i'm ever wanted by the FBI or some shit. They don't care where you came from or what you've done. They are willing to give you a new name and identification. And french citizenship after a certain amount of time of serving.

I've heard its very rigorous.

FFL are trained more vigorously in hoisting white flags than the regular french army.

If you were a good criminal, you could buy citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis or Dominica. If you sucked at being a criminal, you could still buy citizenship in just about any nation in the Americas south of the US.

Unfortunately the FFL no longer accepts convicted felons under any law.

Pretty much all you want to know about the FFL.

The FFL has its own website (and naturally, it's in a zillion languages):
http://www.legion-etrangere.com/

Good luck though, they only consider ultra-fit individuals, and even then, less than 1 in 10 are recruited eventually.

Also, enjoy hunting and eating bugs in the French jungles. The FFL trains allied special forces for jungle operations in Guyana, it's a living hell. And I heard that their own training (they're the teachers, after all) is even stricter.

That's not really true anymore but if you haven't killed 5 children it is going to be ok, and they don't speak a lot about their past so..

>They are willing to give you a new name and identification.

Yeah and those who are french they become canadian, swiss or belgian..

>And french citizenship after a certain amount of time of serving.

5 years, but if you are american I don't think it's the principal motivation

>I've heard its very rigorous.

less than1 guy on 8 pass the test (and they are all fucking monsters so yeah it's really difficult), and after you can be fire at any moment
A lot of men come here because they have nothing in their country, they've lost everything and they really want to join the FFL

The 2 most important thing in the legion is to learn french (1rst, but 90% (except those who come from francophone countries) can't speak a word of french so that's not a big deal, it's easy to learn with the help of frenchies and the other thing is of course your physical abilities

Good luck
