hi /trv/

I'm planning on moving from NY to TX. Job related.

Now I need to know how much money I am going to need for Gas, Food, and Motels...Last time it took me 3 days 2 nights to get there, but I forgot how much. Plus with the hike in gas costs who knows...

I was wondering if there are any sites that will help calculate costs and such.

What part of tx?

Everything is really low cost here, don't worry. We have the cheapest fuel prices in the country around the san antonio - corpus area. I paid $3.04 for fuel earlier which is pretty much average around here. Motels are about $15-50/night depending on your standards. Nice places are $75-150+/night.

Gas goes anywhere from $3-5
Sales tax is 8.25%
If you can tell us where you're going to live, I'd be happy to tell you, as a lifelong Texan, what there is to know.

moot, what the fuck are you doing? let /b/ spread its cancer over itself, don't give it an incentive to spread to other boards.

furthermore, where did you get that remix from?

Ironically enough we think it was an attmept at chemo. Didn't work out quite like mootykins thought. There's a piratebay link floating about for that remix, think it might be mspainted up in the start of a /b/ thread right now.

I live in Texas!

You really must be a nigger to fail at life here. Life is pretty good since we are doing better economically than the rest of the country.

If you already have a job set up, $1,000 should cover you for at least a month or two if you aren't planning to live out of a hotel permanently.

chemo? the cancer isn't something you can directly attack anymore. Moot isn't willing to ban people on a large scale like Snacks would, so the best alternative would be to contain the cancer to one or two boards

It's $3.34 here in Fort Worth... bitch.

Also OP, as a Texan, I feel it is my job to foreworn you that there are a lot of niggers and spics here. A lot.

Everything is cheap here compared to most places.

Texas would be great if the people weren't so conservative/religous/racist/generally ignorant.

Holy shit, you guys in Texas actually pay $3.04 for a gallon of gas? Shit we're getting screwed over. Gas costs about €1.50/liter around here in the Netherlands, which is about 3 times as expensive as in Texas. Damn goverment with their taxes.

Now I understand why everybody around there has a truck. I would've bought one as well with fuel prices that low.

And consider this, people actually buy trucks around here as well, but the road tax goes by how heavy your vehicle is, and if it runs on diesel or LPG you pay 1.5 times as much (diesel) or 2 times (LPG) , and people still drive those things. My neighbour's got a nice Ford power stroke diesel V8. I have no fucking Idea how he pays for the thing

to be fair, europe is small, and the Netherlands even smaller. Texas is by far a rural state, so we need vehicles to get anywhere.
Also, $3.04 is definitely a low. Where I live, it fluctuates between $3.30 and $3.90
I know that's not much difference, but it is when you use a lot of gas
