Hope you have internet or movies or something. I've done a few layovers to the tune of 6 hours to 12 hours. They always suck.
Especially if you're tired.
Find a restaurant, NOT A FAST FOOD PLACE, buy a damn good meal and set up shop in there. And for the love of fuck, don't walk around the airport. It will just make you sad when you look at your watch and you're physically exhausted and it's been 30 minutes. Likewise, set up in the restaurant as opposed to the main seating area as it will be way more comfortable and you can just get food brought out when you are a bit hungry. I tended to order something at least every hour or so, so as to justify my being there. I ended up paying about $125 or so, but I was full of delicious food and then went and waited 15 minutes to board my flight. All the other people looked miserable. Also I had a hot waitress.
Also, might want to set up in a nice area near a number of restaurants so you can move from one to another if they get shitty with you... though... they shouldn't as long as you are buying stuff. Most places, y
