If my boss, who is from Kosovo, has taught me anything they are all pussies who die twice as easily as albanians, but also they will slit your throat if given the chance and are not to be trusted under any circumstances.

does that make your boss serbian or albanian

Kosovo and Serbia were once part of Yugoslavia. Most of the people from Kosovo, my boss included, are Albanians. Serbs, under Milosevic, treated the Kosovo Albanians with callous brutality and that's why they started a war for independence. The US stepped in and helped the Kosovars out becuase they wanted to build an airbase there so that they could further contend the military hegemony of Russia in Russia's traditional "back yard". Now Kosovo is an independent nation.

Bosniafag here. Don't listen to these faggots who clearly have never been to Serbia or any other country in Balkan. You really don't have anything to worry about it's pretty much like any other country exept you may see some leftovers from the yugoslav war in the form of bullet holes in a couple of buildings etc.
Don't really know what to recommend you to do but I know you will love the food.
Oh! If you are going by car and see people with a broken down car on the road don't stop. Thats how people get robbed in the balkans. Also if you go by car and the borderpatroll give you trouble give them some cash it works, same deal with the police.

It's very nice there. Having been there myself for a total period of 8 months of my life, I can tell you that it is beautiful. There is lots of stuff to do, from visiting museums to late night club parties on the riverside, the city has lots of diversity in attractions, don't miss out. The people are nice and friendly, many know english or will at least understand some so you should not have a big problem with communication.
I recommend you visit:
Kalimegdan-the fortress
Vojni Musej-Military museum located inside the fortress
Knez Mihailova-Center of the city with tons of great shops (and hot chicks....if you are a guy)
Splavs-basically clubs that are on boats docked on the riverside (lots of fun)
Watch a soccer game-Marakana stadium is the best in my opinion
Visit churches, Hram Svetog Sava-biggest one in the Balkans, ps it's big
and lots of other stuff

It would be best if you have a Serbian friend or speak the language in order to maximize on fun over there, if you don't it should still be a blast.

Hope you enjoy your trip.

Me again I forgot to add some stuff to the list.
You should visit some of the cemetaries, as weird as it sounds there are some cool monuments and you could learn some interesting history.
Skadarlia-Old style street (cobblestone) with some of the best Kafane (restaurants) in the country, great if your going with tons of friends and great food.
The zoo-nothing special really but if your bored one day why not?
Kuca Cveca (House of Flowers)-Visit Tito's grave and see all the different kinds of cool gifts he received from world leaders and organizations (Free Admission).
Go Karting, it's always fun no matter where.
Muzej Vasduhoplovstva (Aerospace museum)-most visited museum in the country, see lots of cool planes and helicopters as well as the infamous "invisible" f-117 nighthawk of which you can buy a small piece for 300 dinars (around 8 dollars canadian).

Advice, get a tourist map check all the stuff out as well as ask the people what fun stuff you could do, I am sure they will give you good advice.
