American Airports Anonymous
Alright, ever since 9/11 I have been afraid to fly in case of another terrorist attack. Could some people please tell me how airport security improved? I mean they racial profile arabs, but that just gives the chance for another group of people who isn't arab to cause a massive worldwide scene. How is airport security improved and do I have to worry about another terrorist attack?

US Security has been suckish before 9/11.

I am sure airport security has improved since seven years have gone by.
>> idiot anon
You have more chance of the plane failing and plunging to its death than a terroist attack idiot

I'm afraid of that too, expressibly over open ocean.
But well there has always been terror threats, however they were disputted before anything major happen. 9/11 was the only real terrorist attack.
I'm just afraid that I might be the unlucky soul that is on the plain of the next one.

I call troll.

Stay at home, OP, with your tinfoil hat.
>> Anonymous
Youre more likely to die driving to the airport than on the plane.

Airplane security is just as shitty as it ever was, ever before 9/11. So if something is going to happen then its going to happen anyway.
>> Anonymous
Does OP watch news? Theres been like 10 airplane crashes in the last month with a hundred deaths on almost eachone

True. They will pick off the most attractive, stacked women for frisking.

I carried some scissors in my carry on luggage from a flight from Beijing to Singapore. On the night of the closing ceremony.

The people working the x-ray machines don't usually know how to identify objects not supposed to be there.

Last year when I went form JFK in New York, nobody gave a fuck, the security guys were bored etc.
When I left Vegas last May, they wanted to see every electronic device, see if it was working, they made me disassemble my DSLR and wanted me to take a picture with it.

I think it really depends on the airport and country, but generally the security improved.

If you're really scared, then fly on a middle eastern airline. I flew on Kazakhstan and they made EVERY single passenger, even the kids, go through a background check. Kind of reassuring.
>> Domingo Chavez !!1hlaT+UGKTR
You needn't worry about flying.

The reason they got away with it on 9/11 is because before that, when a plane was hijacked.. you would land, wait as the terrorists made their demands, then eventually be let go.

Nowadays, someone tries to hijack a plane, they are getting their ass kicked at 35000 feet.

You will never see man on woman frisking at any of the major airports. Which is too bad because I would enjoy it.

When traveling from Singapore (Changi Airport) to New Zealand they frisked me :3

Last year, Australia to New Zealand. \
Nothing.
I didn't even sit down in my designated seat, just wherever the fuck I wanted.

Then again, I'm a young Caucasian female.

Just remember to rush the plane jackers so they dont ram you into a fucking building.

Before 9/11, it was common that plane hijackers would make demands and such and then land the plane somewhere. Hence why they didn't get rushed by every passenger. That's NEVER going to happen again, it was a one time thing, because the next time they try to hijack a flight with mostly americans on it, you can fucking bet that they're going to get zerged.

More people in buildings dies on 9/11 than on planes. If you are not afraid to go to work, you do not need to be afraid to fly

I love people like you.

Often when travelling, I'll specifically have grown a solid beard, and wear traditional Arabic/Islamic garments to the airport. I'll also try to look as pissed off as possible. While waiting for the plane, I'll be reading a Qur'an. If I'm travelling with other Arabs, I'll speak with them in my broken Arabic as loudly and aggressively as possible.

Some people get so visibly scared, it's amazing. And hilarious.

I went on a plane only a few months after 9/11. Security was a bitch because they scanned every bag like 5 times, then waded everyone all over. I got on the plan and they sat me right next to a muslim guy. He just looked at me and said "....yeah." Then he slept for the entire flight.

Also, the airports in Mexico are MUCH more lax than in America. I went through there a bit later, it was after the shoe bomb incident, and when all of the Americans were taking their shoes off they looked at us like we were crazy.

You're going to end up in Guantanamo Bay.

Actually, surprisingly few securityfags have given particularly much of a shit.

The exception being when I was in London, where they did everything short of a stripsearch. But that hardly comes as a suprise, as those Heathrowfags are just giant pussies. ????? ?????

If you want a taste of airport security I suggest you fly to Israel and then on the way out greet the security guys/girls in arabic. That should give you a pretty much complete run down of all security measures currently in use.

Everywhere else security is horrible, so I suggest you take the bus or walk.

>>53474
Sorry, I was referring to America. I should have made that clear.

And yes, Israeli security is the best airport security in the world. We envy them and wish we had that kind of authority. It takes some shit to go down, and then some douche bag in the White House will up the security.

did the exact same thing last month and no one actually cared about security
>> Anonymous
>Could some people please tell me how airport security improved?

It hasn't, unless you count catching retarded terrorists.

That said, flying is the safest way of traveling. You're more likely to die on the road than on a plane. And even if something bad happens on a plane, you STILL have a chance to live most of the time.

You're a faggot.
