so are there any anons who either LIVE there or have been there as well?

also you remember that Penn And Teller episode about Reparations? remember that black dude that would salute that monument thingy? well I was THERE man!!! (not while they were filming it however)

I used to live in Spartanburg SC, a bit to the south. Asheville was a nice place I'd often visit. I just happen to love the Appalachian's more than any other place.

LOL I wish. It's a pretty boring town. Venus Pie was good, and Capt. Tony's seafood. The Lighthouse in Pacolet has great seafood as well. Asheville has alot more to do fun-wise.

I grew up in the Asheville area, it's such an awesome town. The NC mountains in general are a great art scene, and music as well if you like indie. I suggest the Orange Peel- it's a venue downtown, Google them and see who is playing when you plan to be there. You can spend a day just walking the streets; there are so many cool little shops and restaurants.

I've been to Asheville a couple of times to see the Biltmore Estate. Its just a big house though.
