Need a passport, fast Anonymous
Okay, so I have to go to France in a month, and I suddenly realised that I have to renew my passport. My passport expired in January of this year, and was issued to me when I was thirteen. How quickly could I get my passport renewed, or would I have to get a new one since I was thirteen when I originally got it?
In return, pictures from Mexico.

Enjoy paying the express fee.

I received mine withing 2 weeks of turning in the application at the post office. It was a first time passport, not a renewal so I don't know if that makes a difference. This was this past June. I didn't get it expedited either. My cousin just applied for his today and they told him he should receive it in about 2 weeks. If you go to the post office/passport office this week then you should be fine.

yeah I heard they were crazy backed up with passports after passing some new law about a year to two years ago, and people weren't getting theirs for months and months and it was causing problems with people missing planned trips because of it. Apparently they have finally caught up though, so the wait time isn't bad anymore.

Well, that's good to hear. I was wondering how long that was going to take. Took a Canadian girl six months to get hers. I wonder how Canada is doing now too.

I applied for a passport in January 07 for my trip to Cancun, still didn't have it by April. I had to call the consulate and get it expedited the rest of the way, I got it in the mail 2 days before my flight.

Fuck US/Canadian border laws.

They are fairly stupid. Canada only changed their border laws in response to the US changing theirs. They're going in the reverse direction of Schengen. Sad really.

if you were in asutralia, about 6 weeks, and no, you wouldn't need to refill out the full application forn, just the signature part and the photo part

Your obviously a terrorist, it takes 6 weeks for real Americans

Every country has chips in their passports now, the technology is still a bit advanced at the moment so it might take some time

They did start making express cards so it is faster for people who commute between borders, they probably just expect everyone to have a passport now

We should just annex Canada now, apart from the Frenchies whose gonna give a shit

48 hours if needed, costs extra.

I got mine very recently. Toke me, my mom, my 2 friends exactly 2 weeks to get our passports. I was a renewable but for my friends, it was their first. My brother toke 4 days to get his passport and 2 days for a chinese visa, you need to provide them a reason WHY you need a passport in a hurry. My dad wanted to go to china and invited my brother on a whim with a flight date in a week.

There was also only a 1 hour line at the passport office.
This is Canada.

Woah, Canada has passport offices? In the states we just go to the post office.
