trail of tears, 1831pure win
Walked 12km (not much, but we were smoking a lot and thus terribly out of shape) through Romanian countryside from a monastery. Didn't speak a lick of English but the people we met were some of the nicest I've seen on holiday.
i walked up on these two underage b& types fucking in the woods a couple weeks ago and i still get a boner whenever i think about it. it was three miles into the cape perpetua hike. great trail.

from selstalie to gaustatoppen along the southern route (yellow). great view but I was pretty exhausted when we got back.

It's a tie between the Bataan Death March and The Long March to Shaanxi. Admittedly the second one was more of a workout but I got some good memories of both of them.

I'd say my favorite hike was this one I did out of Auschwitz when the Red Army was coming. I left my father behind and I think I got away with it. But this guy I know named Eli Weisel looked like he knew what I was doing...
