Middle East Guy
hey /trv/, I'm a weeabo name fag who 90 percent of the time posts on /a/ which is my primary domain. But for a change of pace I thought I'd just post here

so I've lived a good 25 years of my life in the middle east and traveled around there quite a bit. if any of you anons have any questions about the desert land or want any advice on arab customs feel free to ask me (I was browsing around yesterday or before and there were a number of posts from an anon soldier stationed there. so I guess thats why I felt the urge to do post)

Is it true that you can rape any arab girl you want, and it's her fault ? (and then they stone her to death ?)

Awesome. Which countries did you live in and for how long?
>> Anonymous
how hot is it
>> Middle East Guy

Lived in Riyadh for the majority of the time. also lived in intervals at Jeddah, Dubai, and because I was living there I traveled around to Eygpt, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait,Morraco and the two holy cities

>>686719
Incredibly fucking hot. like 120 f hot (I don't remember it in Far but in Celsius it was in the 50 degrees range). but if you live there long enough you get used to it.

>>68629
In Saudi Arabia, government rapes YOU
>> Anonymous
>>68674
Is there anything I can do while there to keep cool or something I can do before going that will prepare me for the heat?

I love hot countries, except that they're hot. :(

>>68674
What was your motivation for living in each of those countries?
>> Anonymous
>>68675
Not OP: If people can avoid it they stay inside during the day and get busy in the evening.
>> Anonymous
Have you been to Egypt?
>> Middle East Guy
>>68687
yes I have

>>68685
as this anon has said. usually people avoid going out in the afternoons and stay inside during the day. then most shopping and activities spring to life after 6pm when it gets dark

I have to say that this was one of the first culture shock things I had to get used to. most of my life I was used to the idea of going outside late at night for a sandwich or whatever, but in America (well Illinois at least) everything closes at around 7 pm

Here's a question, are there any awesome, sexy, clichéd harems to be had in your country?

Any Kasbahs that need rockin'? :3
>> Middle East Guy
>>68680
I'm arab so its only natural to have lived there. however I did move around a bit when I got a job which explains jeddah and dubai

however I am now living in the us. I've got a dual pass port so I was hoping for the possibilities of expanding my education here

but with the way the economy is right now I might have to go back (or learn Chinese -_- )
>> Middle East Guy
>>68852
forgot to answer this one

as you know Islam is primary the religion there. therefore its legal for a man to marry up to 4 women. some might consider this a harem but I feel more like marriage hell X 4 (my uncle was married to 3 women. it had its ups and downs but more then enough it was a lot more downs)

now if you're thinking of a man lounging on a golden chair with a group of naked females serving him grapes and doing belly dancing then I sadly cant say I've ever seen anything like that in person... I have only heard about it with some friends claiming to know people who can afford it (Universal law of the world. if you have enough money you can pretty much do anything. So I wouldn't be surprised if some rich guy had his own harem)

>> Anonymous
What countries were your favorite and why?
Did you know Arabic before going? If not, how long did it take you do learn it?
What did you do for work all the while?
Do you speak French? If so, was it as useful as Arabic in Morocco?
>> Anonymous
Fucking four women sounds okay, but remember - you're getting decapitated if someone claims you cursed using allahs name.

I'm sticking to godless monogamy
>> Middle East Guy
>>68896
why are americans so ADD and watch stupid random videos?

>>68897
hmm probably Dubai. they're a pretty good mixture of arab traditions and modern american style living... but FUCK is the place expensive as hell.

I knew arabic growing up so I cant give you an estimate on how long it would take. I dont speak french either. as for what I did for a few years I worked in IT, but I wasnt going anywhere so I tried switching and became an english teacher (which was pure fucking torture. I have new respect for my teachers who had to put up with obnoxious little shits like me). after that I did a few odd jobs here and there

its a culture thing as most Arabs grew up watching grendizer so they're rooting for their child hood hero. Now me I play super robot wars a bit and as I recall Go Nagai said that he doesnt want grendizer or Shin getter robo to be compared which is why they are never in any super robot wars together (I think... dont remember the exact details)

>>69068
Eygpt is pretty damned cheap. well that's because it kinda sucks. I personally love seafood so I enjoyed all the fish dishes in Jeddah (cant stand the weather there though). as for work well if you're an arab you work right away... if you're a foreigner who's american you'll probably get hired even faster (one of those love hate relationships. alot of the culture may dislike American but they'll hire them right away because they thing that america sets the standard on quality work).

as for sex: you know how in america smoking pot is SUPPOSED to be illegal, but just about every damned campus has a shit load of people who do it? thats kinda the same situation in Arabia. young men aren't supposed to be chasing girls and then having sex but a good number of them do it, and the government could care less. though the much much more popular thing to do is to save up money, and then goto Bahrain where prostitution is kinda legal there (another 'the government could care less situation)'

>>69083
I've never lived in Europe so I cant answer your question euro fag

OP, since you're here, myabe you can answer some stuff. Since i studied archeology, i've been wondering, Does Saudi Arabia have any good pre-islamic museams. I know egypt has almost limitless places to visit. But what about SA?
>> Middle East Guy
>>69133
fuck no. why do you think I moved to america? kidding aside its just the way the culture is: women over there are so into marriage that they would scare off the average american

>>69164
honestly nothing comes to mind. I was never really into museums as a kid and the ones I went to were all islamic era (which is like 1400 years ago so that covers a lot of history)

sorry anon but I'll ask around to see if there's anything that would interest you

>>69171
what about prostitutes, how are they? not AS diseased as elsewhere i hope
>> Anonymous
>>69171
Well, the place i live is a very Catholic country and the girls are very into marriage too. However, this doesn't stop them from test driving a few cars on the road before buying one. I hope Arab girls are the same, because there's a few countries i'd like to live in within that region for the length of my visa and i would not like it to be a vaginaless year. Are there more liberal circles of some youth that have a more hedonistic bend?
>> Middle East Guy
>>69185
they were pretty hot. most of the prostitutes I've seen in Bahrain are the high class russion kind

russian accent: I VIL FACK YOU FOR ONE KUNDRED DOLLARS

>>69204
well it really depends on where you are moving too. if you are in dubai or lebanon its pretty much like the states... go meet a co worker, a college girl or hell hang out at a night club, Jeddah and eygpt next would be harder as the people are slightly more moral but its still possible... girls walk around without covering their heads so find a cute one and strike up a conversation.

now Riyadh... forget it. you have no chance or you just have to be realllllllllllly desperate. Riyadh is the capital and thus pretty damned up tight. the only way to get girls their is to a- have a really expensive car (yes yes I know women. works in america works there too). b- have a cell phone with blue tooth on. a lot of young girls want to be picked up but in private. so they leave their cell phones blue tooth on and wait for some good looking guy to send them his pic with phone number. CNN once did a special on Saudi dating and it was hilarious in its accuracy
>> Anonymous
>>69237
I'm not too interested in UAE, because of the cost of living, but definitely interested in seeing Lebanon, so that's good news. How long did you stay in Lebanon anyway and what were the high and low points of the stay?

Do you really need an expensive car? There's no intelligent, educated, non-gold digging women in that place? Saudi Arabia isn't really on my map, as i need a pre-arrival visa to get in and i have a policy of not visiting countries that have retarded immigration constraints.

Any other random tips for Westerners living in the Middle East? Thanks for your time, OP.

you can rape almost any woman you want in arab nations, why do you guys care about easy women and prostitutes?

also if the women you raped is married, her husband will thank you cus now he can stone her to death and get a Loli.

me again, I know that countries like Egypt, Italy and China go through a great deal of effort to highlight ancient historical civilization, does SA do the same?
I remembered what happened to the Buddhist Bamiyan (not sure how to spell it) Statues that were destroyed, but say if SA finds an ancient artifact that predates existing religion, what will they do to it?
>> Middle East Guy
>>69343
you got me. also the whole Buddhist statues being destroyed was by extremists in afghan so I don't believe that Saudi would just destroy artifacts like that

but again its not my field so I honestly cant say

but why would i go to an arab nation to fuck a russian?

goddamn, are there no hawt arab stereotypical arab ladies? y'know, the kind you see in those movies using leaves to fan a big sultan or somethin'. those kind.

>> Middle East Guy
>>69455
I'd say most of those are already married to the sultans. that and as I mentioned earlier they're unlikely to fool around. now if you're in lebanon though you'll be able to pick up some hot local girls pretty easy

>>69244
Lebanon is dirt cheap which is a great advantage... living and food expenses are of no concern. however its kinda technological backwards so don't expect to have great internet connections or the latest in consumer products... like they get american movies that are 5 months old (but then again at least its better the SA where there are no theaters at all).

I'll talk about it a bit more but right now I have some work to get done. I'll expand on my experience with the women there, working and the standards of living probably today or tommorow

also I am constantly amazed at how this thread is still around (I browse too much /b/ where threads are gone in seconds or /a/ where a good thread lasts 3 hours at best)
