Germanfags!
Is Frankfurt worth a visit? (I've been to Berlin and Cologne so far) Tell me things about the city that Wiki can't tell me. Both pros and cons.

Frankfurt sucks. Go to Würzburg instead and from there on Nürnberg and München.

I lived near frankfurt, there is no reason to go there. Unless you really want to see the red-light, there really isn't anything there that Munchen or Hamburg doesn't have better.

Alot of foriegners, turks, and the city smells like shit. Its like the Detroit of Germany, its not really a tourist attraction.
If you really want to go there is a huge bar called O'reily's or O'Brians or something right across the street from the Hofbahnhof. Full of ex-pats and tourists and US military. Its right near the red-light too.

The zoo is nice, but nothing you haven't seen before, i'am sure. What else? not much. Saxonhausen is a fun place if you enjoy getting shit-faced drunk and talking to foriegners, which I do, it is a little dangerous there, its basically just one large bar district. nothing but bars.

also: one of the most fukken expensive cities. If you want more interesting things for the same money, go to Munich. If you want cheaper fun and still have an assload of tourism things, go to Dresden.

If you want to know how Frankfurt is, go to New York/London/Shanghai/genericfinancecentercity.
It's the same everywhere.

Frankfurt is nice, third after Berlin and Bremen/Bremenhaven (BH wasn't as good but still okay)

finance centre cities are the service stations for the globalisation mandarins

Frankfurt is boring as hell but there's some beautiful spots in the vague area through Hoch-Taunus and out as far as the Mosel ( Cochem = <3 )

it is, but it depends on where you are from. if ur like from new york or something, the skyline won't impress you, if you are not it will blow you away

we also have a huge redlight district (called kaiserstraße... i suggest you don't go there though, unless you want to get killed by some drug addicts), many bars, clubs, extremly good places to go shopping (frankfurter zeil)

the römer is also a nice place to visit and of course our airport (i could stay there for days)
