Berlin tips Anonymous
Hey everybody,
I'm going to be spending 2 weeks in Berlin at the beginning of August and I'm looking for advice of what I can do there. I've been there once before so I know my way around somewhat. But this trip I have more time in the city and I'm excited to explore, but I don't want to do the whole tourist thing. I'm staying with a friend so all my money is going towards food and entertainment. Anything "off the beating path" I should go check out?

You could visit the sandsation (see picture) but of course it's more a tourist thing. If you speak some german buy a zitty (http://www.zitty.de/), there you can find many events.

Don't waste your time in the western part. It's only expensive and sucks. Stay around the Brandenburger Tor, visit the Historisches Museum if you're interested in history. And I think books in English are cheaper in Germany.
