Going to Minneapolis in a week? Any advice on places to go there? Also, I hate credits cards and only use debit - will my debit card be fine for lifting money from ATMs?

Yeah, lots of debit cards act both as debit cards and ATM cards.

Minneapolis is sweet, especially in the summertime- Warm and beautiful weather most of the time. The people are very nice and the hottest women in Minnesota live in Minneapolis, IMO; Minnesotans are mostly descendants of Scandanavia, so girls are really hot...

Suggestions:
- Go to Uptown, which is on the west side of town, near Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun. Take a walk around one/both of these lakes, grab dinner/drinks in Uptown. Good atmosphere with unique people.
- Take a walk around the Mississippi River area, there is a bridge that spans the river (Stone Arch Bridge) and gives great views around the river area. Historic old flour mills and stuff, cool.
- The Weisman Art Museum is right along the river if you're into that sort of thing.
- The Mall of America is pretty close in Bloomington (~15 minutes) if you want to see that.
- If you're into the clubbing scene, Hennepin Ave area has lots of clubs/bars. Most of the college/yuppie scene is up there on the weekends.
- You can go to a Twins game at the metrodome in town, which are pretty fun, and tickets are only $7 at the door most games.
- The University of Minnesota campus is beautiful and should be pretty empty this time of year.

I hope I got you started- Let me know if you have any more questions, OP.

>Mall of America
Tourist trap. It's just a big mall. But it got better since they put in that light rail line.
