Dallas couldn't even beat Vancouver last year. What makes you think they'll be contenders?

assuredly so. mighty mighty anaheim ducks.

Any team that loses a player 5:30 into a game for not tying their jersey on correctly deserves to repeat.

Fuuuuuuck no, its the Redwings all the way this year though I would like to see San Jose do it

With the way the Wings and the Sens are playing recently, winning the cup will be a long shot. Anaheim is an amazing team, but I really don't see them repeating, I mean, their top two guys just came out of retirement. The way I see it, it's going to be the San Jose Shark vs. the Pens or the Habs in the finals

As long as its not the fucking ducks or devils I can live with it

I would really like to see a playoff series that isn't so one sided like last season. The final better actually be a contest this time
>> Anonymous
>>21409
What, you didn't enjoy that?!
>> Anonymous
I would rather have the Rangers do it, but the Ducks have a good shot at the Cup with the way the Red Wings are playing.
>> Anonymous
Ducks have a good shot at repeating. There's a few other teams that are going to give them a tough time though. I'm not sure about Dallas yet. They did score 7 goals the other night but also gave up 4 which is uncharacteristic of them. We'll see where Richards gets them.

Anaheim is 2-1-1 against Detroit this season, and that's *before* the Wings started the losing streak.

I'd love to see Anaheim vs Detroit in the Western Finals again.

Dallas really seems to be the only trouble for Anaheim this season in the West, going 1-5-0 with 2 games left yet.

San Jose has been a walk in the park, 5-0-1 with 2 games left.

It doesn't matter if Dallas gets to the playoffs, Turco always fucks up in the playoffs.
>> Anonymous
Also the wild have a winning record against the Ducks this year. Wild For the cup.
>> Anonymous
>>21861
They've got Holmquist now.

>>21876the wild
It's the Wild. That's like saying "Phoenix is going to win".
>> Anonymous
>>21861

Are you a fucking retard? Turco was the best thing about the Stars in the offseason last year. He recorded what, two shutouts against the Canucks?
>> Anonymous
>>21396

No, with the way the Wings and the Sens are playing LATELY, the cup is up for grabs for anyone who wants it.
>> Anonymous
>>22259
He played better than Luongo who, in the next round against Anaheim, lost it because he was watching a pretty body check and allowed the goal that "put the series in the Ducks' favor".

The Penguins are going to win a Stanley Cup, and soon, it's more just a question of which year.

Fuck you know what, they have a damn good chance of at least making the finals THIS year.
>> Anonymous
>>22542

It's a matter of when they get a goalie that won't crumble in the playoffs and a defense
>> Anonymous
Unless Giguere plays nearly every playoff game, Anaheim wont win - Jonas Hiller is shit.

To be fair, the Wings did get screwed the last time the Wings/Ducks met with that interference call. And the Wings are playing better recently, but not getting any of what hockey gods refer to as "the breaks."

My bitching out of the way, I think if there is a wings/ducks matchup in the playoffs, it'd be WAR. Hatred unseen since the time of the Wings/Avs rivalries of the late 90s.

My personal feelings about the playoffs? Start in the west.
Wings--cup contender (assuming they right the ship)
ducks--cup contender
Dallas--Contender. Did you SEE how well richards fit into that team? Jesus...
San Jose--long shot, but possible
Nashville--not enough offense
Vancouver--unless Luongo channels the unholy spirit of Darth Roy himself...no.

East
Sens--see: Wings
Habs--contender
Pens--longshot--they have great offense, but Conklin has a history of...underperforming...in the playoffs.
Rangers--HAHAHAHA! Yeah right.
Devils--Broduer makes them a contender every year
Flyers--chances are better than the Rangers' but still not good.

I'm not saying the Wings are a bad team or anything of the like - they're among my favorites - and I 100% agree on the wrongdoing on Holmstrom. Especially since Kunitz got away with it and they counted his goal.

LET'S GO DU UCKS.

Anaheim fans, at the games, don't know shit about hockey or pronunciation. Cockfags.

As much as I'd like to see SJ win the cup, they play far too inconsistently to pull it off.

Agreed. I'm a Sharksfag but they never seem to play to potential. Its not that they aren't good enough its just they never play like they potentially could.
