For MLS to improve, IMO, they need the following:
Commentators who don't use NFL terms while commentating on games, and who actually KNOW the sport.

ESPN used British commentators during the Champions League / Euro 2008, and thanks to them for getting it right...
They also need more teams, advertisements, etc etc too lazy to list them right now but it's pretty obvious. There is still a lot of room for improvement.
oh and thanks MLS for scheduling games right through WCQ matches, now all the games this weekend half the teams are gimped.
