It's an awesome game. But looking back at history, there are virtually NO upsets between the schools...basically, whoever is ranked higher will win. Granted, the rivalry is extremely even at 53-50-8, but one of the big reasons OSU-Michigan is a big deal is that no matter how good or bad the teams are, it's like the game is a new season. Between 1970 and 1975, Michigan entered the game undefeated and won only once. With Earl Bruce being fired for not being able to beat Michigan, Ohio State won his last game as a coach by upsetting the heavily favored Wolverines. In 1993, undefeated Ohio State was upset by the four-loss Michigan 28-0. Two years later, ANOTHER undefeated Ohio State team fell to the Wolverines. Then AGAIN #2 Ohio State fell to Michigan in 1996. Yeah, the 90's weren't great for the Buckeyes, which is why Cooper got fired. Then in 2004 the 6-4 Bucks beat the 9-1 Wolverines.
I think I made my point, you can find more examples like these.
