Waiting for January to roll around.

How about yours?

Lol, ManUtd are pretty pathetic.

Liverpool fan here. Well fucking down Hull, joint top of the league. Truly incredible start to the season, shown all the doubters you could mix it with the big boys even with limited resources. Sounds a bit gay, but your team is pretty fucking inspiring at the moment.

Well fucking done, even. Bit drunk at the moment.

Hull are a breath of fresh air. Their balls out attacking is really fun to watch. I don't think they'll fair well against Chelsea or Man U though, their back 4 just isn't strong enough.

To be fair, they slapped Arsenal around in the Emirates like they were a bunch of red-haired step-children. One of the biggest shocks in can remember in the League for a long time. These guys got balls.

The way Chelsea are playing right now though I think they'd be able to out point them even without having the vastly superior defensive line up. I look forward to being proven wrong though.

Man U are kind of playing like shit, except for Rooney, so them going down to Hull wouldn't surprise me anymore.

I'd imagine Chelsea will be a step above anyone else this season - but they do have their frailties too. Bosingwa, while being great attacking full back, tends to leave huge spaces behind him, and seemed defensively weak to me under Scolari's own Portuguese team in the past Euro's.

Ashley Cole is leaving spaces behind - Terry doesn't have the recovery pace to help either full-back out (positional sense is excellent though). Also played some lacklustre games - Spurs at home, barely beating Wigan (although Wigan are no mugs this season).

Chelsea are still the team to beat, even at this early stage, but they can be beaten. That ludicrous Bridge record has to fall sooner or later.

I hope it happens tomorrow ;)

Hull City ARE better than Arsenal. They already proved that.

what's the 'A.' stand for, awesome?
>> Anonymous
>>428755

it might as well be, since they've practically put the entire Premier League to shame

I fully expect United to beat Chelsea and Liverpool at Old Trafford (although there's plenty of time for injuries until then) and probably sneak the keague by 3 or 4 points.

I don't know for sure in Hull's case, but usually AFC is Association Football Club.

If only Ferguson would use Tevez some more :(

Give it a few months and Hull will be sitting warmly in the 9th or 10th spot.

Agree, i mean yeah, their doin well now, but its been seen before, the teams that surprise still go down at one point... and the more solid teams, Chelsea, man utd, liverpool, arsenal will shine and collect top 5 positions in the league

9th or 10th? That's still top half of the table and that's good for a newly promoted side. I Chelski will give liverpool a run for their money, that's a good one to watch.

The Championship in the morning Chel/Liv in the afternoon. I love Sundays.

Yeah it's still good but they won't flirt to become part of the "big four" anytime soon

and It's absolute shit for me. I'm an american Liverpool fan (inb4 shitstorm) and I have to wake up at fucking 5 AM to catch the Chelsea match. Fucking torture, I'll just have to stay up all night.

now far be it from me to say what ferguson should do, but i think he should just play all four of them (rooney, tevez, ronaldo, berbatov). berbatov as the main CF then give the other 3 free roles behind him. then have carrick and anderson to anchor the midfield and set the play up. would mean sacrificing scholes sometimes but it doesnt have to be in every game.

however i'm just a 19 year old internet pundit so what do i know.

If you give Rooney a free-role he's spend most of the game in the fullback position.

LOL. Funny cos it's true.

>>428815
Berbatov and tevez up front, rooney can easily play midfield, he usually does that all the time anyway seeing as he runs like 10 horses together, and ronaldo is a right side midfielder, so yeah, use all of em...

>>428829
lol true, tevez and rooney both run like 10 horses on speed...

Arsefag here. Nothing but respect for Hull, they raped us well and thorough. But then again we suck this year. SPEND SOME FUCKING MONEY ALREADY WENGER

>>428815
4-4-2 with Berba and Tevez or Rooney up front is probably the best option. At the back if we keep to what we had last year we should be good. Midfield... Now this is where the problems are at the moment, Ronaldo on the the wings, he is imo the best in the world, but whether it's his fitness or wanting to be a Real.. He hasn't yet reached the standard he held in the last 2 seasons yet. And other than that at the moment we're pretty weak. Carrick and Hargreaves need to reach fitness.. and dare I say it before the Arsenal match, otherwise we could be in real trouble, if we want to challenge for the title.

Wenger is insane that way. He's the only manager in English football who actually makes money off his transfers if you add it all up.

He bought Anelka for £500,000,sold him for £22.3 million and then bought Henry (twice the player Anelka will ever be) for £10.5 million. The guys a genius

Hull are incredible, if they beat Chelsea I will be flabberghasted. Hull's strength and weakness are one in the same; they don't play all that wide. This is why they beat Arsenal - Their attacking play is fast pass up the centre, usually. Hull had this area clogged. With Geovanni in the centre, they have a dangerous weapon in attack.

Playing against Chelsea is much different though, especially with Cole and Bosingwa bombing upfield. This will most likely generate 2-on-1's on the flanks, and either Hull will have to open up in the centre or play with the ball in their own half quite often.

If they open up in the centre, I wouldn't expect they have enough quality to cope with Chelsea.

Against united, though? I think they stand more of a chance.
