Hi guys, I'm off to the Olimpics, because you know, Blatter doesn't even know his fucking own imposed rules and Fifa are pretty much a bunch of corrupt oldfarts who dont give a shit about anything as long as no one fucks with their beloved R.Madrd and Milan.
So here is the deal, teams are only obligated to let players go for international matches that are stated in the Fifa Calendar. The Olimpic Games are not there, so even if a player is less than 23yo the team should decide if they want him to go or not.
Messi has not prepared properly for a season for 3 years in a row, every pre-season he has to go with Argentina, be it America's Cup, World Cup or whatever. The guy is injury prone, so if he doesn't train and rest properly he can fuck up his career forever. Sadly, Argentina doesnt give a shit, they haven't won anything in 15 years and would kill their best player career for a medal.
Not to mention that Barcelona has to play CL qualifiers this year and that they are paying him a fucking-ton of money. Show some respect for the guys who belived in you when you were a little brat, payed for your hormone tratment when no other team wanted to and gave your father a job when your family had no money.

it's "paid" not "payed".

Other than that, I fully agree with your rant.

I have no idea who you are, but I agree Sepp Blatter should be put in a lead drum and buried under the earth for being a dick.

I don't understand your last paragraph, you make it seem like it's Messi's fault that his country and making Barcelona release him for the Olympics.
>> Anonymous
Messi prefers his country over money, and Maradona said Messi should go to the Olympics representing Argentina rather than stay in Barcelona saving money and we know how much Maradona influences him so he decided to go to the Olympics... Whats wrong with that?
>> Anonymous
Well, to be honest Messi did nothing wrong, there's no way he can say no to his national team, Argentina would hate him forever if he did that.
Last paragraph is just non-sense by me being an asshole. I just hope that the kid does ok and doesn't get injured. Fourth year in a row without proper preparation, I guess he'll take it easy when he comes back to Barcelona, and again clubs will be the ones losing while national federations make money out of our players.

he's a slave!, barca's his master, is no one listening to the gospel of st blatter?

The real problem isn't FIFA, the league teams, the national teams, or the olympics.

The real problem is that Football/Soccer doesn't have a TRUE governing body. What I mean is, there are so many little leagues that everyone pulls players from, but then expects them to give their left arms for the team that signed their paycheck, and not the areas and places that made them into the player they are.

The problem is that everything in football/soccer holds meaning. Even the shitty matchup between central american teams holds as much weight to players as the fucking champions league final.

So while those are PARTS of the problem, this is the true root of it all.

THERE IS NO COMPETITION ON THIS GLOBE THAT PROVES TRULY WHO THE BEST PLAYERS ARE, SO PLAYERS SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO PLAY 10 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO, OR PEOPLE THINK THEY FUCKING SUCK.

Solution: Make 1 fucking championship that determines once and for all, who the best players are. Fuck national teams, fuck league teams. Figure something out, and you stupid faggots in Europe can quit your bitching about losing players to friendlies and other tournaments. You don't see us Amerifags bitching because we lost baseball players or basketball players, or hockey for christ sakes. The championships we hold here are more important than the other shit around, thus nobody cares about the other stuff.

When just as many people watch a Premier League Final as a Champions League Final, which is more important? I'm sure the fans will even argue about that.

Dont take offence, but you just proved that you have no fucking idea about football or anything that surrounds it. At all.

Teams have always been obliged to let the under 23 players go, now they fucked up and every club jumps to keep them?, seriously, what. the. fuck.

Are Barça really that scared of not going to CL?, i mean, they always boast shit, and now they dont wanna play it without Messi cause, ZOMG, THEY COULD LOSE!!!!!!!!!1111111111.

Yes, hes injury prone, but they knew that since they fucking signed him.

Also, they pay him and you expect him to be a fucking dumb ass nigger who just follows orders?. Barça will just throw him to the street when hes 33 and he cant play anymore cause he spends all his time injured. Are they gonna keep paying him after he retires?, i dont think so. Are they giving him the respect he could expect for the things they ask of him? nope.

Hes probably gonna live in Argentina when he retires, he was born there and he grew up there.

Teams didnt bawww this much years ago.

That's a joke right? Barcelona is making enough money out of him, don't worry... you are confusing "investment" with "favour", or "generosity".

Your complaint doesn't make sense, neither in "business" nor in "loyalty" terms. The loyalty of a football player (of any sportsman at that case) is, above all, with his national team. And that loyalty comes from the happiness that representing his country brings to him.

So go fuck yourself.

He wants to go, obviously he could say no to Argentina. Your rant is that of a selfish fan.

I hate stupid rants like this, OP is bitching because the player wants to play with his national team rather than Barcelona, well to make it clear soccer is dead without central and South America if it wasn't for Brazil, Argentina or most of those countries's players Europe's clubs would suck. The only reason they're any good is because they have money and buy Latin American players, just try to imagine Barcelona or Real Madrid playing with Spanish players only, it would suck. See a real club like Boca or River Plate to see what a real club looks like, and before bitching about how a player has the balls to say NO to Europe and come home to America think that if every player went to they're respective countries Europe would totally suck at soccer.

OPfag here.
The last paragraph was a little out of place. Messi did nothing wrong, he just waited till the club, Fifa and Argentina's national team came to an agreement.
Still, the main problem most Barçafans have with him leaving is the fact that he will not be able to prepare the pre-season with his team for 4th year in a row. You can see how this could be bad for someone as injury-prone as Messi. But oh well, what's he gonna do, he can't and won't say no to Argentina.
I still think that there should be rules to protect the clubs and its players from the national teams, those guys are making money out of others work and seems like Blatter doesn't give a shit as long as he and his friends line their own pockets

Wrong. Much more people care about Boca Juniors than any European Club. The only reason you don't see that on internet is because there's a lot of Europeans and North Americans in internet but not much from Latin America, but Latin America has more people than Europe and that's where real soccer is at.

And everyone here cares much more about our clubs than your fake clubs where you just buy our best players and call them your club. Its our clubs that breed the future soccer idols all you do is pay them... but at the end of the day the players decide to play for their real countries like Messi did, And most players do in the world cup.

I know you're a troll,
>Boca or River Plate to see what a real club looks like
because a real boca or river fan would never say the other is a real club

and no, boca isn't the most popular club in the world because they don't have fans in China, India, and other irrelevant places. Argentina and Brazil will never have the economic infrastructure to support big clubs, so they'll just have to remain feeder leagues with a good base level of talent and dedicated fans.
>> Anonymous
What? there are no Boca fans in China??? How do you explain that whenever they play there they always fill stadiums??!!! Have you never seen them play in china or japan? Of course not you just base everything on assumptions just like you said a real fan of Boca would never say the other is a real club, that's stupid what i am blinded because i am a Boca fan?? Yes Boca is big but River is big too i don't deny it

look here's a video of boca in Tokyo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LeDVvpqP1Q&feature=related
do you think Barca would have filled that stadium?
Boca is rated the 2nd best club in the world by FIFA so don't speak if you don't know wtf you're talking about. Here you only share opinions with other Europeans and north Americans im opening your eyes to what the rest of the world thinks
>> Anonymous
>>225809
>do you think Barca would have filled that stadium?
yes, because they did the year before at the same competition

and that video is of traveling fans, not japanese fans

>Boca is rated the 2nd best club in the world by FIFA
FIFA doesn't have coefficients, I don't know what you're talking about
>> Anonymous
BTW you said Argentina or Brazil would never have big clubs because of the economy, well that proves you're a fool don't you know the state can't own any clubs or have economic connections with them? FIFA stated that, so even if the state wanted to it wouldn't be able to interfere with soccer, so don't give me that economic BS because clubs have to be private property which means it has nothing to do with the country.

look at this written by one of your European newspapers http://observer.guardian.co.uk/osm/story/0,6903,1182710,00.html

I quote:
Boca and River tend to produce the big names in Argentine football. Maradona was at Boca and a lot of star names have come from River Plate, such as Hernán Crespo. Even though they lose most of their best players to Europe, there is such passion for this match that it is unsurpassed anywhere in the world.

See the world's best player came from Boca. and that's ranked the n1 thing to do before dieing by your European newspaper.

Wheres is Barca ranked there?

Do you want me to call the names of good immigrants playing in your European clubs one by one so you can try and imagine your clubs without them?? dude jsut accept that we are better, soccer is part of our culture in a way you just won't understand don't say your clubs are better because you buy our players when most Europeans at most play soccer like 3 times a week

Everyone here = troll
First of all Op shouldn't be that mad because Messi was a crying little bitch wanting to play somewhere else like a certain no.7 If Messi wanted he could of been really annoying also Barca should of let him go because its the Olympics they only come every 4 yrs. They just need to work something out so that he is protected from injury and fatigue.

As to Boca being the biggest club in the world. NO sorry there are more fan of European due to the marketing, money, tv/sports/merchandising, etc.... they do have some of the best players i wont dispute that because it is true. If south america had the same of money that might be true but you have to remeber Latin American are operating a slant because they are poor but like the asshat earlier said they need to sell all their good players to pay for debts.
It's all due to economics players want to play for better money if they didn't it wouldn't be professional. That's how they make money and live.

also its your own opinion
world's best player Maradona, some of this think he played well but is a crack reject.

> you know the state can't own any clubs or have economic connections with them?

What about private investment then? You need some sort of financial lever to operate on the same scale that european clubs do. Never mind foriegn investment if they league was anything like you say it is there such be enough of the patriotic dollar to float it. Alas there is not draw your own conclusions. Maybe south america is how you say, still too communisto sympatico
