This post is being read in the great narrator from NFL Films, Jim Bardsall. With optional music by Sam Spence.

Throughout the history of the NFL there have been many that have changed the great American game of football. The latest of those individuals was the very essence of an underdog. Thomas Edward Brady, a 6th round draft pick in the 2000 NFL Draft out of the prestigous powerhouse of the Blue and Gold, began his career like most late round draft picks on the bench. Studying under Drew Bledsoe, one of the top quarterbacks in the league at the time, Brady was secretly developing his inner dragon.

It was not until late September in his sophomore season that Brady, the young gun, was given the keys to the Patriots offense. Leading those Patriots into the playoffs and all the way to the Super Bowl where they were a 14 point underdog against Marshall Faulk and "the greatest show on turf." With 2 minutes to play and the game on the line, Brady and the Patriots marched down the field and into field goal range where they won the game and a star was born. Through the next 7 seasons Brady would go on to win 2 more Super Bowls and in 2007 led the Patriots to an undefeated season which he also won MVP and set numerous records, the Patriots however lost the Super Bowl that year to the superior New York Football Giants in an upset for the ages.

On September 7, 2008 Brady made his final appearance on the field and swiftly left after a career ending injury.

Though his story ended prematurely, it will still be told for generations to come. From spending his Saturday's at The Big House to the Super Bowl to 18-1, his legend precedes him. We salute you Thomas Edward Brady, you were the wind beneath our wings.

Late round picks come into there own all the time. Brady isn't an underdog any more than any other backup that stepped up to the plate.

Warner was a fucking underdog.
