Let's all remember the 2006 NFL Draft. Remember how Matt Leinart was the "sure thing" even though he's as slow as Christmas and has an unimpressive arm? Remember how Vince Young bolted up to top-10 after one game? Remember how Cutler got so popular after the Senior Bowl?

I ask you /sp/: rank Leinart, Young, and Cutler.

The Titans have a sick defence with the worst starting QB in the league (yes, Kyle Orton and J.T. O'Sullivan are better than you, Vince)

Cutler's going to be a great QB, even with his DIABEETUS.

The 2006 draft of QB consists of (in order of drafted) Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Jay Cutler, Kellen Clemens, Tarvaris Jackson, Charlie Whitehurst, Brodie Croyle, Brad Smith, Ingle Martin, Omar Jacobs, Reggie McNeal, and Bruce Gradkowski. Dude, the 2006 class sucks ass.

i was about to post the same list, i really cant tell if the young hate is just racism or stupidity (though both go hand in hand)

young makes it back into the probowl with chris johnson and algerious crumpler, his top 2 receivers last year had 22 drops between them
>> Anonymous
>>309917
amen, ain't one of them going to have a good career in the NFL.

VY might be okay some day but he will NEVER be a star. And Leinart is like a dumber Kyle Orton.

Leinart hasn't had the pressure to win yet. VY had it ever since he stepped onto the field and Cutler will get it all this year and crumble under the weight.

Of the players you listed, Brad Smith will have the best NFL career. As a Wide Receiver.

Er.

Cutler WOULD HAVE the better chance of going anywhere in the playoffs if the two were given the same playoff-caliber team.
>> Anonymous
Vince Young went to the playoffs last year. And fucking Denver having a better chance over the Titans going deep in the playoffs? DO PEOPLE FORGET THE FUCKING BRONCOS PLAY IN THE SAME DIVISION AS THE FUCKING CHARGERS?

Seriously, the fucking Chargers is possibly the best team in the NFL, and you say the Broncos have a better chance in the playoffs than the Titans?
>> Anonymous
Vince Young is a terrible QB. I can't wait until he hits that pre-dogs Vick moment where everybody realizes how bad he is. Except he's worse.
>> Anonymous
Young made the pro bowl on fucking fan votes. In his best year, the titans might win 10 games. I think Young has reached the peak of his career with an average arm and pocket passing ability and well above average running ability but with how defense are in the playoffs, I don't see him winning more than 2 playoff games his entire career. Cutler is still developing with a top five arm and plays in Denver where they will always have a running attack and Mike Shanahan can put together superbowl teams. Leinart is a fucking lemon, that dude's skill peaked in college and he'll be lucky if he goes down in the record books above Ryan Leaf.
So IMO: Cutler > Young > Leinart.

Because Denver is a sorry team in a weak division? San Diego is clearly the class of the AFC West, and the Broncos are lucky to win 8 games this year.
>> Anonymous
>>309978
They're not slashing up the league in the least. Vick is in Jail. Tavarris Jackson barely runs the ball, and while Young has some success running the ball, most teams will be perfectly fine with him doing that as long as he's still throwing 9 TDs and 17 picks.

>> HKK !h7MHU9L/Oo
>>310227

Absolutely. He has a Randall Cunningham type of potential. Cunningham was a god with both his legs and arm in Philly but he had piss poor coaching and a horrible supporting cast. Thankfully, Vince has coaching but he has a terrible supporting cast. If he were to get some legit receivers, I don't see anything stopping him.
>> Anonymous
>>310257
I never really thought Cunningham was that good. He was above average QB for over 10 years, but I always considered him a deep ball machine with wheels. He was a below average decision maker and really his career only got a stat boost towards the end when the vikes drafted Moss. So actually, I could see him being Randall Cunningham but where we differ is how we would view that fate.
>> Anonymous

People give Vick too much shit. If you look back at his career he lead his team to the NFC Championship while his best receiver was fucking Roddy White.

In 5 of his 6 seasons he threw for over 50% completion and his last three he threw for over 2k yards.

I don't know about you, but I would gladly be satisfied with Vick as my QB.

As much as it pains me to agree with a Raiders fan, but I agree. The Chargers are by far the most overrated team in the league. People keep talking about how they are going to the Super Bowl. They just won their first playoff game, in 14 years. And they have Norv Turner as a coach, that's all you need for fucking failure.
>> Anonymous
Jay Cutler has a dragon he can unleash. He'll be a great QB in no time.
>> Anonymous
Vince Young will do a lot better with the Titans than he would with almost any other team. This team is and always has been geared to win a game by 1-7 points. Ever since Jeff Fisher has been our coach, we are built on ball control and defense.

As long as Fisher can get Vince Young to tuck the ball when in doubt and get tackled in-bounds, he will work for us.

He is almost a McNair clone. McNair was an average passing QB with above average running skills. Vince young is slightly below average passing with great running skills. McNair worked for us here in redneck-land... i mean... tennessee

1. Cutler - Great arm, needs to improve everything else this season

2. Young - Great legs, which aren't as important in NFL QBs

3. Leinhart - can't do shit w/ awsome receivers, already bust.

If Young ever gets his mechanics down he'll be amazing, smart as hell and can flat out throw when he squares up like yer supposed to.

Pretty much that whole first round was a failed draft except for Mario Williams, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, A. J. Hawk, Antonio Cromartie, Manny Lawson and Joseph Addai

Cutler is already better then Young, you'd have to be a fucking moron to not realize this.

How many playoff games have the Titan's won with Young? Yeah that's right 0, same amount of playoff wins as the Broncos have with Cutler. The only difference is Cutler didn't have a good defense to carry him to the playoffs. Just look at Cutler's stats from last season and compare them to what Young put up.

Cutler/Marshall is going to be a sick combo for many years to come, Young will never put up numbers anywhere near as good as Cutler.

Ugh Raiders fans are getting a bad name? I'm new here and I'm a raiders fan but I'm a realist. We've sucked for 4 years, we'll suck this year but I hope not as much. We'll probably suck until Al Davis dies or sells the team. I think the Chargers are pretty fucking good. They have arguable pro bowlers at every position on the field except for the safeties. Unfortunately, Norv Turner is their coach.
