Japan won softball.

What is it with the teams dropping the ball? US softball loses, US Water Polo loses. Soccer doesn't count because they can't hold the ball in the first place, lol, unless you're goalie. Oh, didn't the relay team drop the baton too?

I believe she hit a solo home run. Her 6th making it an Olympic record. She also accounted for the USA's only run.

God what the hell was that? "Oh shit we're losing, we've never had this happen! What do we do????"

Christ, they couldn't get this loss to the Japanese out of the way in pool play?

They ended up going 2-1 against Japan.

The jap pitcher was nuts or something. She's pitched something like 28 innings in the past 5 days or something.

I called it. not surprising at all.

I'm just curious, what was your reasoning for calling it?

I know the pitcher gave the US headaches earlier in the week.

Japanese women are just as serious as ours are when it comes to baseball. And our women have shown that they have huge slumps between scoring.

All they had to do was get any sort of a lead and they could sit on it for the game.

US softball lost is the only damage. The US water polo never had gold but this is their 2nd silver. Soccer, despite the country didn't give a shit, defended their gold. The track relay team (both men and women) got DQ in Athens, just that they didn't fail to get into the finals. Also beach volley has gold and women's indoor volleyball at least have silver, which will be it's first since forever/

I noticed from the Canada game on that the runs weren't coming smooth enough.

That's a lot of untrimmed bush right there.

Actually, the US loss might help it to return to the Olympics since it was US dominance that took it off in the first place.

I don't care about softball but how do you play against someone in both semifinals and finals?

The US and Japan were the top two teams. So when Japan lost the first time, it was double elimination time. At least that's how I figured it.

Softball is an Olympic sport?

Is this shit true or is it one of those demonstration things?
