I went to a Georgia game once, January 1st 2000 Outback bowl. People were like qmggg go oilers and they were like qmg who do you root for. I was like idunnolol college sucks I'm here cause I won the tickets.

True random story. I'd pick Favre Bay of the two.

I feel sorry for /sp/artans who either grew up in the north, or have been brainwashed by espn into believing that soulless pro sports are better. They're not. If you went to college, or grew up in or near a college town, especially down south, you'd know there is NOTHING like gameday on Saturday, and NFL sundays don't even fucking come close. SEC football FTW.

That's only in the south.

Yes, because shitty ass players that the NFL only picks the best of is better than a league comprised of professionals who make playing football a career.

And I'm from Florida. Fuck the Gators, the Seminoles, and the Bulls too.

not everyone goes to a big as fuck college that has an xbox hueg football team.

this is because in the north we have more than 1 or 2 schools per state.

LOLWUT - more like FAIL there... WTF does that have to do with anything?! That made zero sense, there are plenty of schools, at all levels/conferences, in pretty much every state. Let's focus on OP/Georgia alone: UGA, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Valdosta State, Savannah, Atlanta, Emory, Morehouse, Spelman, Albany, Augusta, Berry, Wesleyan, Fort Valley, Kennesaw State, etc etc etc. And probably 50 more after those, not including technical colleges. So WTF are you idiots talking about??

"Schools per state" has nothing to do with why Georgia, Florida, LSU & Tennessee are good at football, have large campuses / stadiums with awesome tailgating and tradition. These areas also have pro teams too, but college reigns supreme. Sure, I guess you could call it a Southern thing... but it's also that way in Southern ACC country, the Big XII South, maybe even parts of Southern California know what I'm talkin about, not just the SEC boys. Tailgating in actual grass on beautiful sprawling campuses, surrounded by the finest girls on the planet in nice, tight dresses... partying all day and night, music and bars galore. These things generally aren't going down on Sundays in Northern, Pro oriented towns with work the next day. But by all means, enjoy your parking lots, cooking sausages, surrounded by fat older women in "layers" and just downright wonderful people such as Philadelphia Eagles' fans, rotflolol.

As a southerner I prefer college ball.

Of the two, however I'd go with Green Bay simply because UGA is full of fail and overhype with the next great qb draft in Matt Stafford.

This man does speak the truth. I go to Georgia Southern (will hopefully be in Athens this Saturday) and there is nothing quite like the experience of going to a college football game on a Saturday.

I love football, but I rarely watch the NFL except for the playoffs. It just loses its luster for me.

The only reason why College football is as big as it is:
There were no NFL teams in the South until the 1960's. I'm not counting the 'Little rectangle cut out of Maryland' Redskins.

NFL > College for me, College has to many blowouts and a severe lack of playoffs. That and my college football team hasn't done shit since the 50's, so I never got into it. I'll watch a a big time bowl game sometime, and pay attention to the top draft prospects, but thats about it.

Replace the 50's with the 60's, and you've got a point.

I'm sorry that I don't like waiting five minutes in between plays when watching football.
