Ball State cracked the top 25 with their massive cajones.

Should we fear them?

Ball State cracked the top 25 despite losing their best player to a broken neck.

As a BSU alumnus, I'm somewhat torn here. I sat through year after year of terrible (sometimes winless) teams, often freezing my balls off amid freezing temperatures in a nearly empty student section.

I'm elated for the team's success, but the amount of bandwagoning here is sickening. I weep for next year, or the year after, when the program inevitably regresses and people go back to not giving a shit.

You are sadly correct, especially because the MAC seems to be so cyclical with who's a top team and who isn't (said acknowledging Marshall's six-year run with five titles).

fellow MAC alum, look, people gotta get on board somehow. Go Cardinals. (I can say that since I'm in the East)

Even coming from a fan of a perennial top ten power the last several years with an XBOXHUEG stadium, I kind of feel your pain. When I was growing up, our team was usually mediocre at best, a 3rd of 4th place finish in the division was about all we were ever good for. And my father took me to every home game... FOR FREE. All the old timer alumni who go now and sit on their hands, or sell their tix to the shittier games, used to not be able to wait to just give their tickets away in the late 80's/early 90's. Now if I want to go back to a game in my hometown, I'm payin AT LEAST $75 / ticket to scalpers for halfway decent seats, even for the mediocre games against OOC cupcakes.

FUCK BANDWAGON FAGS

We don't have that problem, at least for now. Student admission is free; one only has to pass through a gate with his ID. Otherwise tickets are still pretty cheap, perhaps $8-10. Like I mentioned above, prior to this season there was barely any demand to attend the games.
