I know this might sound stupid, but I get sick of certain jersey numbers. Just because you really like Michael Jordan doesn't mean you HAVE to wear 23. And for NFL players, you don't HAVE to wear 21 because you love Deion Sanders. Be original and pick your own number.

Hell, I'm sick of numbers in the 20s in general. Pick a fucking different number. Like in the 40s. Nobody has jersey numbers in the 40s for some reason.

In before fortyspam.

It's a number convention. Soon it will be over and anyone will be wearing whatever the hell they want.

NBA: Guards (0 - 30), Forwards (0 - 40), Centers (30 - 60) Typically, neither didget goes between 6 and 9 for officiating call purposes.

NFL: Quarterbacks, punters and kickers (0-19), Running backs (20 - 30), Linesmen (30 - 99), Defensive backs (20 - 50), Wides and TEs (80 - 99)

NHL, MLB: Whatever

This is a recent thing dues to many linemen going into the high eighties. I've noticed this about 8 years ago.

And while I'm here, let me explain how Dennis Rodman and Ron artest get away with wearing 91. You see it is because... THEY ARE HUGE FAGETS!

This is why I like Ron Artest. When they ask him what's with 93, he just says he likes the number.

By this logic, only 100 players are allowed in the history of any sport. Otherwise they are not being original and must be hated.
OP, it not only sounds stupid, it is stupid.

My point is, don't just take the same number of you favorite player, which is what a lot of players do.

In spite of his abilities, Artest has been the subject of much controversy. During his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls, he was subject to criticism for applying for a job at Circuit City, just to get an employee discount.
