5. (tie) Eli Manning/Larry Fitzgerald.

Also, why do the Cowboys and Chargers suck SOOOOOOOOOOO much.

Packfag here but when's the last time a defensive player won the MVP? I don't see it happening for Woodson.

It'll be Drew Brees, assuming he breaks the yardage record.
>> Anonymous
>>473553
Brees is racking up the yards, but his TD:INT ratio isn't even 2:1. No way he gets MVP unless the Aints get their shit together as a team.

Yeah, you take your 1.5 more sacks to my 29 more tackles.

There's a reason Pittsburgh didn't keep you.

You're not even close to leading the league in tackles for linebackers. Hell, you're not even leading your team. Why would you take a mediocre stat over a game changing stat like sacks? Oh, because you're butthurt your released LB is outperforming you. Sorry about that.

Tackles are more or less the result of your team's (lack of) offense and luck the play headed in your direction. Sacks are more about skill in general in getting penetration. So go ahead and keep your inferior stat, I'll take my 1.5 extra sacks.

Aw, that's okay, deflect the very evidence that shows Harrison is VASTLY superior to Porter.

1.5 sacks. That is your entire reasoning that Porter is head-and-shoulders better than Harrison. But here I am, thinking an interception and a forced fumble could make up for that godly amount of 1.5 sacks.

You know completely ignoring that Harrison has 29 more tackles than Porter. You realize that difference is only NINE tackles less than Porter has on THE ENTIRE SEASON?

I leave you to your ignorant fanboyism now.
>> Anonymous
>>473691You're not even close to leading the league in tackles for linebackers
He's a metric fuckton closer than Porter is. And Harrison is second on his team in tackles where Porter is seventh on his team. Overall Harrison is 24th in the entire league whereas Porter is tied for 175th.

Also, hilariously enough, Pittsburgh's defense has only faced 26 more plays from scrimmage than Miami AND THAT'S STILL LESS THAN THE DIFFERENCE IN TACKLES BETWEEN HARRISON AND PORTER.
>> michael moses !!6nOq0Y/J8jv
>>473701
Which was why I was wondering why you brought up "QMFG 29 TACKLES OWNOWNOWN" when you had other more impressive stats.

>>473713
> and luck the play headed in your direction.
>> Anonymous
>>473727luck the play headed in your direction.

Or Porter is playing out of position, over-persuing, or just plain missing tackles.

I'm sorry, it's absolutely ludicrous to claim Harrison has tackled that many more players out of dumb luck.
>> Anonymous
>>473727you had other more impressive stats

No, a single interception and an extra forced fumble are not more impressive than a gap in the number of tackles that nearly exceeds the total tackles of one of the players. It's a pity you don't understand football enough to appreciate that.
>> michael moses !!6nOq0Y/J8jv
>>473739
It's a pity you don't understand how commonplace and mundane a tackle is.

>>473742

Then why doesn't Porter have more of them?

Oh, right, it's all "luck"

Idiot.
>> Anonymous
>>473691

either this is an epic troll, or an epic retard

sacks are a direct result of defensive scheme (especially in Porter's case)

he's a LB, linebackers dont get penetration unless they blitz, which is a playcall

you sir, are retarded, or 10/10

If the Viks end up mking the playoffs, Peterson will get it. If not, then Brees. If by some mazing stroke of luck, the Titans go 16-0, then it will go to Haynesworth.

I think Vince Young should get the most valuable player.
He is the sole reason the titans are undefeated for had he not gone crazy during his injury and fallen apart mentally, Kerry would not have seen a snap and the titans would of barely made another wild card if even that.

So join me, /sp/, in nominated the real hero of the NFL.
