Works in Italy. Only ground share I know in England is Bury and FC United, they used to play some matches at Boundary Park (Oldham Athletic) as well.
But that's League two/one sharing with Unibond Premier.
You've probably already noticed that when Liverpool play away Everton play at home and vice versa, it's the same in Manchester, so it could work weekends. But midweek if both were in Europe. Plus there is the fan aspect. I'd be pretty pissed if we started using the council house, or City playing OT, despite us ground sharing just after the war.
Ground's are part of a teams identity, short term solution it could work, long term, nah...
