Armed with a dizzying knuckleball, Pawtucket right-hander Charlie Zink dominated Triple-A hitters en route to earning a MiLBY for Best Triple-A Starter.

Red Sox 19 Rangers 16

They won't bring him up unless Wake gets hurt or leaves, and unless I'm wrong, they just offered to bring Wake back today.

Wakefield's 10-11 record is completely misleading, he made something crazy like 18 quality starts (second only to Lester) and lost 5 games to poor run support.

Hey! I'm a great Triple-A pitcher too!

Wakefield's great, there's not a better postseason pitcher around.

Sorry Boston, but Zink's a minor league FA now. The Red Sox don't control him now.

knuckleball pitcher:
when you dont have the talent to be a real pitcher, and love being a novelty act, the red sux will give you a job (the entire organization being a novelty act, anyway).

>Wakefield's great, there's not a better postseason pitcher around.

He will only be remembered for two things:

1) He threw the knuckleball pitch.

2) To Aaron Boone, it looked like an underhanded lob.
