ITT Division 1-A college football programs that will never return to their former glory, regardless of what their dillusional fans might think.

this isnt an exact science and is open to discussion im just throwing some names out there.

Alabama - the recruiting field is much more complicated than the days of bear bryant, i know they just reeled in a great class, but its not going to happen every year, and when bear bryant was coach, auburn football was a joke. now look at who dominates that rivalry.

Notre Dame - good god i could write a paper about this one. Recruting Recruiting RECRUITING. the school is in the middle of nowhere Indiana, and this isnt, and lets get one thing straight, this isnt Athens, Georgia. or Auburn, Alabama, this is INDIANA. it is an academically challening school, recruits arent going to be warm to that. its still an independent school, playing army navy and air force every year doesnt prepare you for Michigan, LSU, USC, etc.

UCLA - lol

Nebraska - this school being so far north it has the same recruiting problems as michigan and notre dame, if the recruits dont have a special connection to the campus, they would rather play for a warm weather school.

Michigan - hiring a coach to install the spread option + the rediculous expectations of fans in Ann Arbor = massive lulmax

i disagree, i think JoePa is more of a figurehead now, and i also think that the university attracts a better kind of athlete (thats hard to explain) than Michigan or Ohio State, this is a new era for PSU football now that anthony morelli is gone, god bless him he was a highly hyped high school recruit who did absolutley nothing in 3 years, so have some hope . of course penn state ought to recruit some faster defensive lineman, and they always have a stable of running backs. so im gonna have to say no to that one
