oh yeah and DON'T FUCKING WEEP ABOUT IT LIKE A PUSSY
>> Anonymous
We're gonna have a new team in 5 years or less anyway. Root for the Blazers til we get a team back. Roy and Webster are from Seattle, it's close enough.

You cheer for the OKC Thunder.

Sounds like a fucking WNBA team...

I'm not being sarcastic, but what possibly makes you think that Seattle will get another NBA team?
>> Anonymous
You threaten to sue the league out of existence so they give you a shitty expansion team and tell you to STFU.

That's the "Cleveland Browns" method.
>> Anonymous
>>356874
Yeah, because the Sonics following is the same as the Browns.

Plus, the team's owners paid off the city of Seattle- there is no basis to sue.

Take it as a sign from God that following sports is not a healthy lifestyle decision.

Los Angeles fag here, we lost the Raiders and Rams. I'll tell you they are not missed. Nobody in LA is walking around "we need an NFL team here". the only people who miss NFL football in LA is the NFL since they cant dip thier hands in this town as much as they want. BUt seeing as how the NFL is doing they arent in a hurry to put a team in LA either.

when the oilers left houston i gave up on football for a few years. i tried out some new teams, but i realized i would never care for them like i would luv ya blue. then i started playing fantasy, and now i love football again and my favorite team is whoever is starting for me.

This is what I don't get about American sports. Hay, an expansion/moved team in my town? Excuse me while I drop the team I've supported since I remember myself. GO OKLAHOMA BOMBERS!!!

Hope we get some shitty NHL team and become a season ticket holder. Preferably from Nashville, but the Panthers would do.

It's a lot different when your favorite sports team moves several 1,000's of miles. Some people still hang on to the new team (There are still fans of the Dodgers...in Brooklyn), while the majority treat it as a kick in the balls. It's like a girlfriend leaving for another guy. Are you going to look at the girl in the same way again? In the case of the Sonics/Thunder, the move was pretty much orchestrated very poorly, pissing off the fanbase.

Never forg--hey, look, there's a shiny new expansion team called the "Mets"! Hopefully they won't suck too badly!

I live in Brooklyn. Trust me, there are NO Dodgers fans here. Anyone old enough to remember loathes them for what they did.

People still look up to the team before they left though

Its not really the teams fault, it was the mayors, he expected a decent baseball team would actually want to play in a swamp in Queens.

There are absolutely no LA Dodgers fans in Brooklyn

It had nothing to do with the Mayor. O'Malley insisted on a spot at Atlantic & Flatbush, knowing he wouldn't get it, while Robert Moses (the guy who controlled all public works / transportation projects in the city at the time) wanted a stadium convenient for auto commuters. Instead of getting a dome downtown near the Atlantic Yards (which had no chance of being approved), O'Malley said FUCK YOU to the borough and went to LA.

Lifelong Brownsfag here, I pretty much quit watching the NFL when Art Modell moved the team. I started following college football more closely and since I headed to college a few years afterward, I ended up just embracing it as a better sport overall.

You ever been to a T-Birds game? We would need to build a new arena in order to get an NHL team because of how Key Arena is set up. And if we build a new arena the NBA will send us a new team too... Maybe this new arena thing Bennett was bitching about isn't that bad of an idea. I don't care what NHL team comes, if any, but the Hornets, Grizzlies, and Blazers are all contenders for basketball teams coming up here.
