Still not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

Logically eliminated from the playoffs.

if they actually made decent draft choices they could be a decent team. Instead they got Andrew Bogut and Yi Jianlian.

They're not superstars, but it's not like both of them are that bad...

You could've said that before the season started.

hey but didn't the Bucks all those many yrs ago trade the rights to Stephon Marbury for those of Jesus Shuttlesworth? Ray was always better than the shitbird of Coney. Milwaukee is fail in many ways, but they ain't the Timberwolves or Knicks.

Hilarious punchline, the Suns signed Starburied to max contract, and got the Knicks to not only take that but also Penny Hardaway's contract.

yeah but in the same year where they picked Bogut they could have had Deron Williams, Chris Paul, shit even Andrew Bynum

New York isn't mathematically eliminated either

Go Isiah!

Isiah for president

Yeah, getting Yi was a detriment to both sides involved. Yi would do far better at a different team, and subsequently his underperformance with the Bucks makes him a wasted draft pick.

>>42773

at this point in their careers, Bynum is by no means clearly a better player than Bogut. they both have a long way to go before anything can be settled.

they make a lot of money off that chink. at the end of the day it's a business

Yi is in still rookie year, stop thinking hes a bust just because he doesn't want to play on your shitty team.

>they make a lot of money off that chink

No, they really don't. Considering Yi didn't want to play for the Bucks and pretty much told them he wouldn't do well there, yet they still insisted on breaking their balls paying up a huge offer for him.

Yi Jianlian is not amused with your bullshit!

I agree with everyone that their current roster in terms of growth and potential, not just for this year is a wreck. Excluding Redd, I don't know where this team wants to go with the talent, except winning high spots in the annual lottery every year. They need someone new to pick personnel and set this team up for long term. Apparently the success of blowing up your team completely and rebuilding has not come to the old and tired ears of the Bucks.

Don't forget about Yi vs Yao is huge in China.

Most watched game in all sports this year was Bucks vs Rockets they brought in a crazy number from china with and all the Yi jersey sales overseas they will by the end more than made money back.

That benefits the NBA as an organization much more than it does the Bucks franchise, which itself gets very little out of it.

As for the jerseys argument: Chinese kids are no different from U.S. kids when it comes to basketball. They want to watch the flashy, acrobatic superstars. Entire generations grew up idolizing Jordan.

Not surprisingly, TMac's jersey sells much much better in China than Yao's does. And I can bet you Yi's jersey sales are only a dent compared to the Iversons/Wade/Shaq/Kobe sales, even in China.

seriously, T-Mac jerseys sell like fucking stupid in china, i don't even know why they love him so much. he's nearing VC status in terms of taking plays off, especially on defense.

and i'm saying this as a rockets fan

It's because he's my cousin. Anything related to me is automatically great- even in China.

The thing is, we have the talent, Williams has had a pretty fantastic season, and like that win over the Cavs the other day, we can beat better teams, it mostly just comes down to FUCKING FOURTH QUARTER PLAY. We can probably attribute at least HALF our losses to blowing sizable leads into the fourth quarter. It's absolutely pathetic. We gave up 40 points in the fourth quarter against the HEAT. FOURTY FUCKING POINTS. We have the talent, they just don't work together as a team in any sense. They blow games in new and exciting ways each game!

I miss the days of Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, Tim Thomas, etc. Those were the days.
