I don't know if this is the right thread or not, but Sports is the closest related thing on 4chan, so i figgerd I'd give it a shot.
I wanna lose some weight. Is 30-40 minutes on a bicycle three times a week a decent start or whould I be doing more?

Calculate how many calories you take in a day, then figure out a percentage of that you'd like to work off.

Work more and more or intake less calories a day, while still getting enough to survive.

and the pounds will start falling. and quit eating big macs.

if you eat 500 calories less than the amount you need to maintain your body weight, you should loose about a pound a week (which is healthy.) instead of just flat cutting out 500 calories, you can burn 250 biking/running/whatever, and then work out the other 250 from quitting soda or cutting back portions or whatever you want.

yeah, i started eating less, and when I do it, it'll be a peannut butter and jelly, or turkey sandwich, and Monday and Wednesday I burned ~300 calories, and I figure i'll do that every MWF. Do ya think that'll be enough. And I don;t eat much fast food, I just fell out of shape during high school.
