Why is Beckham playing for britain?

I don't get it, Beckham plays for the Galaxy but he still plays for the brits rather than the US. Why doesn't anyone report the team of cheating? is it because no one cares about soccer in the US?

Because soccer is a children's game, and no one cares about it except the third world and countries that USED to be significant.

I know isn't England an American state like Nebraska or Cananda?

He doesn't play "soccer", he's from England and thus
plays football. You Americans got it all mixed up.

Calling a game where you CARRY an egg "football",
there's no feet involved and not even a ball.

No, but as an Amerifag who likes soccer(football) I would love to see it. It would add excitement to the game. We have the same thing in baseball, but it's different

FOR THE 5000TH TIME

Football got its name in the 1800s, right after the game was invented. Back then, polo was till played a great deal in the Northeast, so when they invented football they called it such because it was played on your feet, as opposed to on horseback.

For fucks sake, do you really think they cared that you guys ZOMG ALREADY HAD THAT NAME!!1!?

Fuck you British people. The World doesn't revolve around your boring fucking sport.

I watched San Jose Earthquakes vs Houston Dynamo's.

I'm quite sure in the fact that if I moved to America, I could easily walk my way into either of those two teams. There pathetic.

The MLS might not be that great, but in terms of talent it's much closer to League One.

Does anybody have a list of friendly results between MLS and Premiership and Championship teams?

Nope, lower than that. I watched the Setanta Shield final, Aldershot vs Rushden and Diamonds, Blue Square league teams, much better than MLS.

Eurofag here. The MLS is at least as entertaining as most of the matches played in Premiership. English football is pretty dull for the most part so I wouldn't pay too much attention to them.

Dull people, dull country, dull football. Imagine what the Premier league was like before they filled it with foreigners. Not pretty.

When English teams won the European cup 78-82, there was one Irish player, the rest were from the home nations. In liverpools 84 win there was 3 Irish and Grobbelaar

Op.. think of it this way. English Premier League is like the National Basketball Association (NBA). Stars from aall over the world go there to play because it's the biggest association of talent and where all the money is. European basketball players who are good come over here to play where there is a higher talent and more money and more people care about their sport. Same thing goes for Football.

Now, Beckham? He's a tool. The L.A. Galaxy threw a boat-load of money his way and he bit. I guess people can say that he's trying to usher in some new talent into the MLS, but it's not going to work. U.S. Interest in "soccer" has not risen, even in the slightest.

And in the same way the Manu Ginobli will leave here to play for Argentina in the Olympics, Becks leaves here to play his his national team.

I spent way too much time describing this to a troll. I feel bad now. I'm gonna' go lay down.

i somewhat agree, but saying he didn't raise interest in the slightest is silly.

Attendance for games this past two seasons have risen tremendously. Being in LA I see a LOT more soccer fans. I admit I'm hooked on it now, as well with my friends.

He may be a tool, and just a pretty face etc etc. But it's always delightful to see Europe stars showing interest in America. I wish (american) Football would fuck off.

OP is a moron. Beckham is British. That's why he plays for them. Has OP ever heard Beckham talk?
