The Designated Hitter rule is destroying classic baseball.
It takes all the strategy out of the game, and with the introduction of instant replay, and Interleague play old time base ball is slowly becoming extinct.

I demand that Major League Baseball revise these absurd rules and regulations that have killing America's Pastime:

-Designated Hitter rule
-Instant Replay
-Interleague play
-Regulation baseballs
-Foul strike rule
-Ball tampering rules
-Helmets
-Television Broadcasts
-Radio Broadcasts
-American League
-Base Ball Gloves

It's time to return base ball to the way it was meant to be played!

How many leagues across the world even allow a DH? I know AL and many minor league teams associated with AL team counterparts.

What about the rest of the countries that play this game? Is it pretty much ONE league and it's farm teams that resort to this shitty rule?

"In baseball, the designated hitter rule is the common name for Major League Baseball Rule 6.10[1], an official position adopted by the American League in 1973 that allows teams to designate a player, known as the designated hitter (abbreviated DH), to bat in place of the pitcher. Since then, most collegiate, amateur, and professional leagues have adopted the rule or some variant; MLB's National League and Nippon Professional Baseball's Central League are the most prominent professional leagues that have not."

the moar you know

The National League and the Central League (In NPB) are really the only leagues left that don't use the designated hitter rule.

this is a lol thread, but I think they really should get rid of interleague play because it unbalances the schedule and stuff

Interleague is really fun to watch.

And you get to see awesome moments like King Felix' grand slam off Santana.

DH rule is good because you get to play more guys and their morale goes up, which gives them a better attribute modifier.

Pitcher gets to pitch, so he's already happy.

people dont like baseball because its slow and borning.

I like that people still call baseball America's Passtime, when in reality we all know that it really is American Gladiators now.
