Who do you think are Arsenal's weakest links? Who should Wenger consider selling/picking up, to make a stronger team?

Personally I havn't been impressed with Alex Song lately, and Eboue has been quite lacking too. Also I think Wenger should deal with Almunia.

what do you think the gunners should do?

buy a good central defender

they should buy henry and viera
an adriano is fine too

Eboue is a failure. That is all.

Good going forward, weak at the back. Needs faster/stronger/better defenders.

Toure, SENDEROS, Gallas and Djourou are perfectly sufficient.

He needs a good goalscoring winger, our wingers since Pires and Ljungberg left have really been shit. Vela's coming in but i think we still need another one, esp. if Hleb leaves because Walcott can't take an entire season yet i think (and obviously Eboue is shit and needs to be sent the fuck back to Belgium). If the stories about Nasri are true then i'm sure he'll be used on the wings.

Also a central midfielder to replace Flamini. Gilberto is over the hill and I remain unconvinced about Denilson, Diaby and Song. Personally i'd like someone English here because whoever it is needs to be on the ball right away without "adjustment time". Stealing Barry from under Rafa's nose would be nice.

And finally, we need a second forward who stays healthy for the season. Eduardo and van Persie are both awesome players but seriously, if van Persie isn't available for at least 30 league games next season he needs to get shipped out. We'll have to wait until the end of next season to see how Eduardo comes out of the injury, i really hope he pulls it off but i don't expect it.

My auntie could outrun Senderos. The guy is fucking slow.

I'd say it's general faggotry. No hard players. You need Vieira, Adams and Dixon back.

Well we're in a hunt for Bayern's Lucio who I think would be a great acquisition. He's a Brazilian regular, has won a World Cup, and many Bundesligas. And he's only 29.

Also rumor has it, albeit through The Sun, that Wenger has already signed Hatem Ben Arfa for 16 million Euros...or Pounds. I can't remember. This pretty much means Hleb is gone.

We just need another more experienced center mid. Someone who will give Cesc space to work. Barry, Stiliyan Petrov, or even try to poach Lucas off of Liverpool.

At least Le Gaffer is spending. 16 mil. for Ben Arfa. The future looks bright.

Ben Arfa is a quality player, and would probably prosper under Wenger. I would like to see him at United with Giggsy getting on a bit now, he'd be sorted for taking over on the left.

It was looking bright 6 years ago. Didn't pan out.

Lucio is a tit and a sad remnant of failBayern before they splurged on new players.
The guy cannot defend to save his life, is prone to horrible slipups and offense is is only redeemeable factor - which he does like a maniac every time he gets the ball.

>>95126
But he's big, which is what we needed. Someone to head those damn long balls away.

We need five transfers. Five big names. One of them English.

Preferably I'd like to get:

GK - Joe Hart/Haenaemann
DF - Richard Dunne
MD - Jean Makoun II
MD - Niko Krancjar
FW - Peter Crouch

The Sun? LOL. Those guys are never right.

Crouch? You think the Arse will ever buy English? Much less a bench warmer in an inferior team?

> Joe Hart, Richard Dunne, Jean Makoun, Peter Crouch

Are we talking about Arsenal here? Or Derby County? These guys wouldn't get into the Arsenal reserve team.

Wenger doesn't have a problem with buying English players, it's just that the ENglish will always chase money rather than integrity. Prime examples include Ashley Cole, Wayne Rooney, Rio etc.
>> Anonymous
>>95177
Yes they would, they're great players. Also, Wenger IS going after them.
>> Anonymous
>>95194

Wenger will buy some guys we've never heard of before for some ridiculously cheap amount and then they will turn out to be awesome. He does this every year.

Also, lol at overpriced English players... couldn't even qualify for Euro '08. The only English players that would get into the Arsenal team are Ferdinand and Gerrard. Fabregas >>> Lampard, Adebayor > Rooney.

He does have a problem with keeping them tough.

Although Fabregas seems to be pretty loyal. For now.

Gerrard is quality. But there's just no way he'll leave over the summer. Maybe next summer if they don't win the League.

Please tell me this is an elaborate troll. I'm an Arsefag and I would trade anyone in our midfield (less Cesc) for Gerrard.

Wasn't all that elaborate.

I really don't think Arsenal needs to buy anybody at all. Their main weakness this season was simply inexperience and a few mistimed injuries. Next season, they should have the squad depth to properly challenge my beloved United for the title, which I am seriously worried about.

>>95196

Hargreaves, anyone? Y'know, the star of England's last failed World Cup bid? I'd say he's a pretty damn strong midfielder, but I don't think he'll leave United anytime soon.

Toure and Gallas are both good, but not a good partnership. Both will let a striker bring the ball down and try and tackle them. They need someone like Vidic who'll throw themselves into tackles to compliment that.

But also Eboue isn't good enough.
>> Anonymous
>>95515
Gallas doesn't deserve to be in the Arsenal team. You don't just give up like he did at Birmingham. That goes completely against what Arsenal stand for.

Hullo Mr Wenger.

Um yeah, if they could keep the squad they had they'd be fine but they're losing at least Hleb and Flamini.
