What Playoff team do you support? Dwight the Cubs Destroyer Dodger Face !!NWKnD/HNvaF
Dodgers, obviously.

Any Cubs fans or Brewers fans actually standing up at the dark moments?

I support the fucking Jays in the AL.

Toronto is playing well against the Sox I saw on ESPN!

i live in ny so i usually gravitate towards the AL. so i guess what im trying to say is that i love the yankees. but when i root for the nl i like rooting for the cubs. LOL i know the two extremes in the game, the most successful franchise next to the most failed one. that being said i remember seeing the yankees play in 2001 and they dropped the first two games in their first series, and came back to win it. it's really hard but it's possible but it sucks to know that the 01 yankees is the only team to come back from such a deficit so i can be done. now im gonna stab myself. remember the alds in 04 the red sucks were down 3 against the yankees and they came back, so it can be done and i have faith on the better team even though in baseball the worse team can win and the dodgers (worse team) just have to one 1. fuck.

As a Cards fan I'm rooting for the Rays due to the good story and the Dodgers because of cubslol.

Cards fan for life, so for now the Dodgers, but I also live in C. Florida, so I'm rooting for the Rays in the AL.

I'm hoping for the Rays in the WS, but really I'd be fine as long as Boston and the Cubs don't make it.

Yes Dwight, I am still standing. I have enough faith in Rich Harden to win game 3, and I think getting out of Wrigley Field for 2 games might get the Cubs to stop thinking about playing to win for the fans, and playing to win for themselves.

However, I am happy tonight of the crowd at Wrigley for creating some electricity in the ballpark, instead of the bums that were sitting on their asses last night.

nope i've watch most of the yankee games starting from the 96 season on (i was 10 at the time). during baseball season if the yankees are playing we are tuned in to them and we seldom miss a game, that's not a bandwagon fan. that's someone with dedication. this year was a major pain in the balls cause the rays were fucking good and the bastards faked a run for the wc by winning the first 8 games after the allstar break and playing less than ok afterwards. i've like the cubs ever since they signed soriano and if espn has them on or if they're playing the muts i tune in to watch them. i've seen and wasted too much time and know way too much about particular players from these two teams to be just labeled a bandwagoner so fuck off i have the right to like any team i want.

Brewersfag here. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We have five starters with less than 3 full years of experience, and it's shown late in the past two years. In game 1, we started a guy who tore his ACL 6 months ago and didn't give up a single earned run. Today, CC finally had the bad game which he was due for since August.

You can say we flopped. The reality of it is in two road games against a better team, we've shut them out in 14 of 16 innings with our pitchers going less than half of those, and we've had the tying runner on the plate in the 8th or later in both games.

Oh, and we're without our highest paid, and most clutch player.

tl;dr my team sucks dicks in this year's playoffs

Cubs fan here, I still have hope. It will definitely be an uphill battle against 0-2 and the goat, but I think it can be done.
>> Anonymous
>>377121

The Brewers didn't flop, you just used all you had to get to the post season. The Brewers just ran out of gas. Now the Cubs, they're flopping. They're flopping horribly. The Cubs have no flipping excuse to play this badly, they basically took sept off.

Dodgers, but I'm seriously conflicted

See, this is my first season following baseball. I decided to get into it this year and just kind of arbitrarily chose a team. Well, it wasn't completely arbitrary, I do live in the Dodgers' market, so it came down to picking between them and the Angels, and I mostly picked the Dodgers due to VIN MOTHERFUCKING SCULLY.
The magazines and stuff predicted a mediocre season for the team this year, and I thought that was fine, I just wanted someone to root for to make it more interesting. When the Dodgers were like seven games out of first I was sad, but not upset, I was still having fun following my first full baseball season. Less so when they lost eight in a row, but I stuck with them. It's amazing how much a group of guys can grow on you over the course of so many games a season.
But now that the team is poised for its greatest season since a certain high fly ball into right field, I'm happy, of course, but I feel like I don't deserve it. I feel like a bandwagon fag (even though I've been here since spring training) reading posts of people saying, "We've waited twenty years for this!" I'm happy the team I've rooted for all year is having success, but its like I'd rather suffer first, and succeed later, like a real fan.
Anyway, you'll probably just sage this and say LOL BANDWAGONFAG, AN HERO URSELF, but I kinda wanted to get that off my chest

I sort of know what you are going through. My first season following baseball was 1995 with the Reds- the last time they have been in the playoffs. See if you are still with them in thirteen long, miserable years (I am.)

What happened to Dougie? Did the Dodgers fire him as their mascot? Did /sp/ kill him?

Also, the Cubs are STILL the biggest failure in sports history, and always will be.

I hope the Cubs come back and beat the Dodgers, just so their fans can get an extra dose of "oh my God, this is really the year".

Then I hope they manage to beat either the Phillies or the Brewers and make it to the World Series, so the euphoria can really build.

And then I hope they get viciously, completely, and totally anally raped by the White Sox in the World Series. Not that I have any love for the Sox, but just to achieve maximum possible BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW for all Cubs fans.

tl;dr: My only rooting interest left in the playoffs is for maximum pain to all Cubs fans.

Myers owned CC last night both on the mound and at the plate (which was hilarious).

Also... 08 Brewers = 07 Phillies...

They are just so happy to finally be in the playoffs, but aren't fully prepared for playoff ball. Maybe next year they can do better...

Doesn't

sound just like a Phillies fan from '07? It almost brings back deja vu for me...
