Ranked Teams:
(21) Pitt (BYE, @ Cincinnati)
(22) Cincinnati (@ Louisville, PITT

Probable Situation:
Cincinnati loses to Louisville tonight, then beats Pitt next week. Big East finishes the regular season with 0 ranked teams.

It's more likely than you think.

well the big east is, generally speaking, a basketball conference, they are lookin to put 10 teams in the ncaa tourney this year so can we cut em some slack on the football end

Yeah, but the conference has like 97 basketball-playing members.

That's not (necessarily) talent, that's percentages.

theres only 16 teams
so thats actually really good

THis would have to happen for three seasons in a row for the Medium East to ACTUALLY lose their automatic BCS bid.

Which just shows you again how corrupt the system is.

well louisville and west virginia who are the normal football powers in the big east are both under new coaches and are naturally having shitty years as all teams with new coaches do
it wouldnt be right to strip a conference just for that
put the big east up against the ACC i think big east would win most of the games. who else could take their place either
Con USA? lol
mac? lol
wac lol
big sky? LOL

give it up man

You're an idiot. Also, the Mountain West would probably crust the Big East top to bottom.

All WVU has done since the teams left he conference is win big bowl games. They may be having a down year right now and the depth may be questionable, but there are legit schools in the conference. I mean, was last year or the year before where the big east had the best bowl record overall?

Have we forgotten the past couple years? The Big East going undefeated in bowls? Out playing the ACC? Cincinnati, Louisville, Connecticut, South Florida, and even RUTGERS stepping up and playing very well over the past couple years, now the conference is having a down year and we want to take their BCS bid away? from what i remember big east teams have been faring very well in BCS bowls the past couple of years

The Big East is always terrible besides West Virginia

Cincinnati vs. Pitt for the conference

I like Cincy's chances. It would be cool to see a team that was in CUSA just a few years ago win the Fiesta Bowl.

>It would be cool to see a team that was in CUSA just a few years ago win the Fiesta Bowl.

And embarrassing. The last year that Louisville was in C-USA, they finished with a rank in the mid-teens... whereas the Big East itself had no team ranked higher than in the 20's. And the BCS (fuckheads that they are) applied Lousville's rank to the Big East's bowl status, EVEN THOUGH THEY WON THOSE GAMES AGAINST C-USA SCHOOLS.

Were it not for that *CHEATING*, the Big East would have lost its autobid years ago. And yes, the Mountain West is better than the Big East in football right now, today. The only difference is, all the media outlets are on the east coast. It will take an act of god to force their hand (much like it took an act of god to get Boise State in a BCS game.

What makes ME giggle is, that act of god has been on the verge of happening 3 years in a row now.

If Cincy DOES in the Big East, do you really think Coach Kelly is gonna stick around? I hear there's an opening in Tennessee...

ARE YOU FAGGOTS RETARDED? COLLEGE BASKETBALL IS ABOUT TO START AND YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT BIG EAST FOOTBALL?!
