Sup /sp/, I gotta know, who do you think is the most underrated player ever? Any sport, any time period.

I gotta go with Robin Yount. Yount got 3000 hits, and was a career .285 hitter. He played at two different positions, CF and SS, and won a gold glove and an AL MVP award at both. And yet you still have to be a Brewers fan or a big-time baseball fan to know who he was.

I'd pick Nap Lajoie and Tris Speaker. Their stats are just below Cobb's, but they are rarely mentioned in the same breath as him. Also, I think Greg Maddux is underrated, given what he's done in a hitters' era.

But damn, you're right about Yount. If he had played for the Yankees or Red Sox, he'd be God.
