OP has clearly never watched hockey.

Kings and Ducks? LOL

Habs/Leafs is #1

How about Blues vs Red Wings? That has been raging since the dawn of time. You may laugh at anything involving St. Louis hockey but the series season in and season out has always been exciting, including the Blues miraculously pulling out a 4-4 split last year while they were reeling off another terrible season.

That and Red Wings-Avs is a very recent one that only lasted a few seasons and has died down. It was hardly a rivalry, more like a strong competition between two teams at the top of their game. Blues-Wings started earlier and rages on to this day.

Habs/Leafs
Habs/Bruins...maybe
Toronto/Ottawa..even though they both are shit right now.

Retarded. It's:

1. Bears/Packers
2. Cowboys/Redskins
3. Steelers/Browns (It's still a top three rivalry even though the Steelers have been beating them on a regular basis. The teams and the fans fucking hate each other)

>>347258

Blackhawks vs Red Wings is a bigger rivalry IMO
>> Anonymous
>>347258

agree completely

>>347275

how about blackhawks/blues? maybe if both of our young teams get good in the next few years we can rekindle that one. I say have dollar beers during rivalry games and that will liven em up a bit.

This is literally the worst thread idea I have ever seen.

Its a matter of where you live. If you live in the west, you will be exposed to west rivalries.

Can someone please sage this fuckin thread.

What the fuck? This better be a troll... How is the cardinals and cubs bigger than the fucking CUBS AND WHITE SOX. AND WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING SUBWAY SERIES

honestly interleague rivalries are stupid, particularly same city interleague. In a system where they only meet a couple times a year...dumb.

UNLV v. Nevada

That's fine... but equally big are Skins vs Cowboys and Giants vs Eagles just in that division alone.

Either teams rivalry with Philadelphia is more heated than the rivalry between them.

Every team in the East hates the Flyers.

Just because they only face eachother during interleague play, doesn't mean it isn't the biggest rivalry, have you ever seen Wrigley field when it is the Cubs vs the White Sox? Obviously not.

starsfag here,
the sharks are not our most hated rival.
as a starsfan we hate the ducks and wings more than we hate them, don't get me wrong we hate them but not the most.

Just to emphasize the Packers-Bears rivalry, I was at the Packers playoff game against the Seahawks last year and our entire section started chanting "BEARS STILL SUCK", because the Bears players and fans were probably watching at home.

College Rivalries:
Texas/Oklahoma
Alabama/Auburn
Georgia/Georgia Tech

Fuck that Michigan/Ohio State shit. Just another media-fueled rivalry like Yankees-Sox.
>> Arutima
habs vs bruins,
habs vs leafs,
habs vs sens

montreal used to have a lot more rivalries when it was the original 6 and during the first expansion (like against the broad street bullies during the 70s)
>> Anonymous
Habs/Leafs is wrong, the Leafs have fallen so far off the map that they don't deserve to be in a rivalry anymore. Habs/Bruins is much better because it seriously continues every fucking year.

With Georgia Tech's shitty football seasons (hopefully it's being turned around), Florida is a bigger rival for UGA than GT.

MLB:

Giants/Dodgers
YANKS/SAWKS
Bud Selig/All-Star Game

NBA:

Celts/Lakers
Lakers/Kings
Sonics Ownership/City of Seattle

NHL:

Wings/Stars
Rangers/Devils
Fans/Glowing Pucks

NFL:

Pats/Colts
Steelers/Browns
Pacman/Stip Clubs

Well, OP got the baseball part right.

He however failed hard at everything else.
NBA I won't touch because no one give a shit, but
NHL:
Toronto vs. Montreal
Detroit vs. Saint Louis (Laugh all you want at the Blues, these guys hate each other)
New York vs. New Jersey
(Detriot-Chicago gets a special mention aswell, for sear intensity of the hatred)

NFL:
Bears-Packers (DUH)
Browns-Steelers
Cowboys-Redskins

Rivalries are about history and intensity, not who is doing well at the moment.
Hence, no West coast team should be included in a hockey rivalry, as no one there cares.

I won't even go into college, because there are just too damn many.

Mets/Phillies seems pretty strong recently.

1. Yankees Redsox is the clear #1
2. NC and Duke
3. Michigan v Notre Dame

It's strong lately, but they don't have the extremely long history of the Cards/Cubs, Giants/Dodgers, or Yankees/Red Sox. (Even if everyone that is not on New York or Boston cock is sick to death of hearing about that.)

>> Anonymous
>>347520

You have to imagine that it's so famous because the coverage. If ESPN wasn't biased I think Cards/Cubs would be up there for baseball. They hold the only games I've been to where you're guaranteed to see a brawl in the stands.

Ermm, actually no. I'm just pointing out the fact that Yankees fans and Mets fans don't get along too well. I'm sure anyone else who has been to a Mets Yanks game will agree with me. Enjoy labeling anything you disagree with as 'Troll', though.
