Fuck ESPN and their fucking tom brady fuckers. I think sportscasters should be held to the same standard as we hold newscasters. They should not be this fucking apeshit over the pats and the jets and giants. Why cant their be a channel that isn't based in Bristol, Connecticut? So we dont just have to sit through the same fucking coverage of the Sox and the Yankees, the Celtics and the Pistons, the Pats and the Jets/packers.

What about the stories on the fucking west coast? Dodgers take 1 and a half game lead? Chargers are stunned in upset of week 1, Merriman looks like a shadow of himself. Nuggets/Suns playing first ever NBA game outdoors.

FUCK all we have is fucking Fox Sports Net :[

They did that story for like literally for 10 minutes with like 4 different analysts saying "I was devastated and I sent Tom a text message."

Then they mentioned Vince Young's injury for 1 minute. Then they covered Brett Favre for another 10 minutes.

Its not about the story, its about how much they wanna fuck Boston and New York.

lol...you haven't been watching much news lately, have you? As bad as it is (and I agree it is bad not only in regional bias but also in trying to create "drama" where none exists), ESPN looks like it's run by Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite compared to what passes on TV these days for both local and national news.

I love how now that Brady is hurt all the do is say the Jets are the new best team ever. The Jets were going 5-11 without Favre and will go 8-8 at best with him. They are the same mediocre team with him.

They will say that the majority of viewers, and thus most of the money, is on the east coast.

There is just some serious stupidity regardless of regional bias, though. They're just like CNN or Fox News, rampaging through the 24-hour news cycle with reckless abandon. It's like watching Entertainment tonight only for sports. I looked at the NFL page on ESPN.com today, and nowhere on the front page did it mention the Panther's win. They were more concerned about the NFL not letting Chad put "Ocho Cinco" on the back of his jersey. How about mentioning that Dante Rosario caught a game winning touchdown, the biggest moment in this kid's career. No, they're more concerned about the fact that Michael Strahan picked the Cowboys and the New York fanbase is all butthurt.

itt people don't get internet sarcasm
>> Anonymous
>>323680

And on that subject, quite frankly it's more entertaining to watch an invented rivalry between the Sawks and the Yanks. I live in Nevada, grew up in Oregon and I hate to admit it, but the sports stuff is just not as interested on the West in general. There's a lot of good stuff, yes, but it's about entertainment. Besides which, if you're so smart as to create a network that would make more money than ESPN, start presenting the information and watch the people come and suck your dick.

>>323685

Interestingly enough sarcasm is a subtle art form based primarily on the inflection in the tone of voice or the assumption of intelligence behind the commentator. In literature, one assumes that the writer must know the stupidity of the statement and the writer is intentionally saying it to prove a point sarcastically. In an internet message board, one usually assumes the idiocy of the poster, and thus sarcasm is typically lost in translation. Solution? Claim your status as a revered troll, the only position of power in a message board.

I WORK FOR ESPN HERE'S A SNEAK PREVIEW OF TOMORROWS SPORTS CENTER JUST FOR YOU 4CHAN:

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL - WHAT DID BRETT THINK OF THE PACKERS PERFORMANCE, WHAT DID HE EAT/WEAR WHILE WATCHING THE GAME

TOM BRADY IS INJURED, SO WE'LL SHOW 15 MINUTES OF TOM BRADY SUPERBOWL HIGHLIGHTS JUST SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT WOULD TOTALLY HAPPEN IF HE WASN'T HURT, THEN WE'LL WRAP IT UP WITH A GRAPHIC THAT COMPARES SUPER BOWLS WON BY PATRIOT QUARTERBACKS NOT NAMED TOM BRADY TO TOM BRADY AND DRAW THE OBVIOUS CONCLUSION THAT TOM BRADY IS FUCKING AWESOME AND WE WOULD TOTALLY BLOW HIM IF HE DIDN'T HAVE SUCH A BAD KNEE INJURY.

RECAPPING BRETT FAVRES 1ST REGULAR SEASON GAME AS A JET... A-FUCKING-GAIN

KICK IT OVER TO PTI WHERE THEY'LL DISCUSS JUST HOW FUCKED NEW ENGLAND IS THIS SEASON IN GRAPHIC DETAIL.AND AS AN ASIDE, HOW FUCKING COOL TOM BRADY IS CAUSE WE SURE THINK HE IS

FINISH STRONG WITH A COMPUTER SIMULATION (MADDEN 09) OF WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE IF 11 TOM BRADYS PLAYED 11 BRETT FAVRES WHILE EVERYONE IN THE STUDIO JERKS EACHOTHER OFF.

No kidding. All they ever do is talk about how tired they are of Peyton Manning's commercials. To be fair, (I'm a Colts fan) I'm sick of them too, but they only say it 'cause they want people to forget him and worship only Brady.
P.S. Not a bandwaggoner. I'm from Indiana and my favorite colts QB was/is Jim Harbaugh. I probably know more Pats trivia than 99.9% of Pats "fans" and I've hated them since the '80s.

You mean the one where the Patriots and the highest paid coach in the league were fined a laughable amount and then the whole issue was pretty much dropped from media coverage?

I guess they're right, I mean why make a big deal about a few bullshit Super Bowl wins when BILL BELICHICK AND TOM BRADYS REPUTATIONS ARE AT STAKE?

Thanks for keeping track of what was really important ESPN.

Yes and no. It would be nice if we got more equal coverage and it might help to make people out here more avid sports fans. On the other hand, we often get distracted by our more attractive women and would never trade more sports attention for the hairy-knuckled ape girls of the Rust Belt.

Damn. I had never read that before...goes on and on like a freakin' novel. And, as a NASCAR fan (in b4 not a sport), I can tell you that the section on ESPN's racing coverage since they regained its contract could be its own stand-alone bandwidth-busting entry.
