To Whom It May Concern:

STOP SAYING "LOL NOW THE RAYS CAN WIN IT AT HOME GOOD LUCK RED SUX HURR DURR"

YOU'RE NOT HELPING. IT WAS YOUR FAGGOTRY THAT MADE BOSTON COME BACK, AND NOW US TAMPAFAGS HAVE THE CHANCE TO SUFFER WHAT THE INDIANS AND YANKEES WENT THROUGH, AND I DON'T FUCKING WANT THAT. I'VE BEEN A LOYAL RAYFAG FROM THE FUCKING START, I DON'T DESERVE TO BE COMPLETELY DEMORALIZED, OKAY?

AND I'M PRETTY SURE MOST OF YOU DON'T WANT BOSTON TO WIN ANOTHER WORLD SERIES SO WE CAN HEAR ABOUT "THE GREAT BASEBALL DYNASTY" OR SOME OTHER BULLSHIT ESPN WILL COME UP WITH.

GODDAMN SHUT THE FUCK UP I'M SO FUCKING PISSED AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGG

Sincerely,

Sneak.

This thread needs a sticky as a reminder to all of the jinxing Raysfags. Go watch the Bucs play on Sunday night, if the series makes it to that. We don't want you watching the Rays game.

Thanks,
Raysfag since 2000

Gabe Gross has a psychological problem. He's actually hands down the best hitter, fielder, and arguably the best (fastest) baserunner in baseball. But he thinks he's terrible, and that's why he struggles.
>> Sneak !!+y8MDiWrdyT
>>410959

I'm not crying, but I am angry. It was a game that we essentially had in the bag, and then a bunch of retards come along and say "lol game over bawwwwwston" and LO AND BEHOLD they come back and win game 5.

So it's basically strike 1 for the Rays to close this series out.

I think there's a lot of us Tampafags on 4chan, to be honest.

And god damn it. One of the reasons I wanted the Rays to win is so I don't have to mute the television on every commercial break because I'm bound to see an Obama/Biden ad, or 7 Frank tv ads.

You're right. I shouldn't be hitting the panic button yet. It's that 2004 and 2007 and...ugh.

Either way, we're still leading the series and we have two home games to clinch it. We're still in control of the series.

Yeah, but in 2004, we had to go back to Yankee Stadium down 3-2, and while the Trop can be uncomfortable for visiting ballclubs, Yankee Stadium in the height of the playoffs is just downright nasty.

Plus, the last three innings just swung pretty much all of the momentum back to the Red Sox from the Rays. It will be interesting to see how they bounce back from this one.

And while I know you don't want to see the Red Sox win it, even if the Rays lose this series, you should be incredibly proud of them - no one really gave them a shot this year, and they proved everyone wrong. 4 out of the 5 teams in the AL East finished above .500 this year, and the Orioles are improving. This is going to be one nightmare of a division for everyone else in baseball next year.

And if the Rays beat us on Saturday or Sunday, I'll be pulling for them in the World Series. :D
>> Anonymous
>>411282

I'm personally proud of everything the rays have done this year and will cheer for them til the bitter end. But I don't want them to go into history as "lol, the 3rd team boston made a comeback on", especially since the fans would brag about it eternally like they are super gods. If it was 2-2 right now and they eventually lost to the sox, then fair enough. But I'd rather them go down as the little engine that tried to win the world series then that.

But thats just me.
>> Anonymous !!35pjJ34t/2v
>>411303

I don't think they will go down in history as that even if they lose, because this is a really good Rays team that's going to be in the top 3 of the AL East standings for a long time.
>> Anonymous
bottom line... Rays are the better team.
Period.

They pull this out, or I personally am marching to fucing bawston and putting the piss cup in front of Lester's dick myself.

lol @ the influx of Devilrays fags. Why aren't you defending the Bucs in the NFL threads you fairweather faggots?
>> Anonymous

Don't think the Bucs need defending, with their pounding of Carolina I think they are arguably one of the best, if not the best team in the NFL.

but best team in the nfl? no way

The Red Sox should win they deserve it and the fans deserve it more there are no fans truer than those of the Red Sox nation. There weren't any Ray fans until recently and the only people that went to see Ray games were fans of other teams. Then the [Devil] Rays came and I was like "Yay we have our own team now!" And I've been rooting for the Rays ever since.

Sneak, don't worry a ton. The Rays aren't out of it. I wouldn't say hitting 3 HR off of CY YOUNG CANDIDATE Dice-K within the first 3 innings is really in trouble.

They took a day off, and it probably hurt them. They were maybe too relaxed. That won't be the case back home.

So, stop listening to the idiots on here. Nobody on this board determines more than how many french fries you get in your happy meal. Even then, that's after they get promoted off of register.

As long as you can keep hitting you will do fine.

Beckett is not 2007 Beckett because he's hurt so his command is down. If you can keep a lead going into the 7th and Maddon doesn't pull out Shields too early like he did with Kazmir last night you will be fine.

I still don't know why Maddon had Balfour pitch to Ortiz with two men on. Don't be overconfident and get the lefty in there.
>> Anonymous
>>411601

Ortiz has been hitting like crap all postseason and they still had a 7-1 lead when he was up to bat with 2 outs.

I think Maddon managed the game fine, the Sox just managed to pull it together finally (as seems to be their forte with elimination situations).

If 2007 Beckett shows up tomorrow, I see a game 7 being very possible. That's a big if though.
>> Anonymous
>>411605
No no no you never think like that in the postseason I don't care what lead you have or what his numbers are, it's David Ortiz. It's a disservice to him and look what happened, with one hit he brought Boston back into the game and they won.
