If that wasnt axel.jpg I would have no idea who you were talking about.

Love, A United fan.

I know nothing about him, besides his name and age. Any incite on his game?

Don't know too much about him. Expect every team in the Premier League including Bolton have been linked with him.

It's Alex Witsel (defensive midfield) plays for Standard Liege, would make much more sense to buy him than Moa Abdellaoue (Norwegian striker) who we've also been linked to recently.

It would make no sense at all to buy another striker. I think Witsel would be a good buy since he has amazing ball control and a knack for goals, but most importantly he includes everyone.

He obviously doesn't have the skills of Ronaldo, but if he joins United and develops them, he won't be the drama queen Ronaldo is.

Yes, please take him and make him better. Then return him to our national team. Then we will completely rape England.

No way he'll be leaving in January. Summer at best.

Wouldn't bet on it. Papers are talking at least £15 mil from big clubs. They'll want him there and then. With Hargo being out, United could do with him.

But will he get enough playtime?

Yeah. Carrick is the only other player they have season that can play in the holding role, and he's only 19. so is a great future prospect.

I'm almost positive he'll join in January. I agree with FredtheRed that Carrick is our only good holding player. Scholes, I think, will be used sparingly after he comes back from his injury. We were blessed with a great midfield combination with Keane, Scholes, and Giggs. With Keane gone, and Giggs and Scholes winding down, I think Anderson, Carrick, Hargreaves (though I think he'll develop into what Scholes is now), Nani, Possebon, and hopefully Witsel will be the future. I didn't include Fletcher or Ronaldo, because I think, sadly, they'll be out in next summers transfer window.

He's Standard Liege's best player, it's about time he got recognized.

Where are Standard Liege getting all these great young players from? Fellaini, Defour, Witsel...

Belgium might have half a side in a few years, their youth international teams seem pretty strong.

Soon it will be like the early 90's with all of these "class" Norwegian players coming in, but it'll just be with Belgium players. Though I do admit, Witsel is great and could develop into something special alongside Ronaldo and Anderson
