Oh, Joe Torre was a way bigger pimp that La Russa. New guy=less pimpish, tho.

In the 1980's-2000's it was Cards vs. the Astros consistently, with the Cubs occasionally peeking their heads in. And STL's 10 championships is the most in the NL (like NYY's 26 is the most in the AL).

This would make the Astros the Red Sox of the NL.

And considering their underfunded team, shitty history, shoebox of a stadium, and filthy mess of a city, I tend to agree.

lol you haven't been watching baseball for long have you?

cards and astros have only been in the same division since '94... and the cards definitely have had their fair share of stinkers in the years since then... gotta love those seasons when 83, 84 wins would put you in postseason contention

the yankees have been in the postseason every single year since the realignment, just think about that. i don't even know why you're making the comparison between 10 and 26. seriously, who honestly thinks of the cards as yankees of the NL?

just an astrosfag here who wants you to get some real perspective

i can't believe someone is actually making this comparison... the yankees have made the postseason every single year since realignment and

No one said the Cards were fucking Muhammed Ali. But they are the best team (over time) in the NL, and have the most championships.

Also, since re-alignment, the Yanks share a division with the Orioles, Blue Jays and Devil Rays. I honestly don't know how they kept making the playoffs, with all that fierce competition.

First off the Cardinals are not only the 2nd best franchise in the NL, but the 2nd best in the MLB...look at their numbers. Plus comparing the Astros or the Cubs to the Cards is ludicris. The Cubs and Cards have never been a rivalry. Let's recap the LAST CENTURY Cards 10 World Series, Cubs None. Oh and the year that they won 83 games and got in the playoffs, they won the whole thing. Fredbird says, suck it.

the Cards don't buy there way into the playoffs like the Yanks, plus they have won a title since the Bombers have

No, they suck. Who's first?

Guys... don't give this guy credit. He's implying the 2 best teams in MLB are in the National League, which is clearly impossible.

Learn how to spot a troll, already.

no that is the Dodgers. LOL.

The same Dodgers that couldn't even win the NL West last year, aka the shittiest division in baseball?

GTFO.

The Marlins, duh. Also, Diamondbacks.

>>74950
YES the shittiest division that evidently had two NL west teams in the NLDS. If the Rockies & Dbacks sucked THAT bad, how come no team from other divisions won their series to go get their asses handed to them by Boston?

Also, you are very dumb.

The Braves are the Yankees of the NL
They win the division but always fucking fail

The guys who own the Florida Marlins.
