Mighty Mighty Boston, earlier you said that you would rather the Pats have a perfect regular season than win the superbowl. Do you REALLY stand by that statement? You wouldn't trade, say, losing a close game in the regular season (think of the game you NEARLY lost against the Ravens) for a win at superbowl 42?

That's like getting straight As all throughout school and then dropping out before you graduate, or one of the many many other analogies that are quite humorous.

The thing we already have soooo many super bowl trophies, it doe not matter anymore.

No, what we needed was a perfect season, and we got that.

Well I disagree with your priorities BUT I give you points for sticking by your guns.

I don't hate the Pats for their relatively recent great run of success with Belichick and Brady, I don't even hate them because of the whole spygate thing, which is really blown out of proportion.

The Pats have the longest regular season win streaks. I wonder when it will end?
>> Anonymous
>>313369

Perfect season means zero losses from week 1 to the Super Bowl, which so far has happened once. In the 1970s.

Remember when no one gave a shit about the Patriots, one of the most laughable franchises of all time? And remember how they seem to think they're the fucking Yankees with some sort of "rich" history and decades of dominance?

Also, anytime someone says "Tom Brady is the greaatest QB ever", a kitten dies.

I'd take Sir Francis, Johnny U, Joe Cool, Elway, Marino, Cunningham, fuck even FAVRE over Brady. Any day.

>>313468
Eww, take Butt Favre out of that list.
>> Anonymous
>>313468
Well then sir, you are an idiot. Deny it as much as you want, Brady is among the best ever.
>> Anonymous
>>313471

You're the idiot if you're honestly trying to tell me that Brady is a better QB than Montana, Unitas, or Tarkenton.
>> Anonymous
>>313473

He's better than Tark and Unitas, but Montana is still the best
>> Anonymous
>>313473
He's not the the best ever, but he is among the best.
>> Anonymous
>>313468

i don't think there a "Greatest QB Ever". i think there greatest QB of a ERA. I.E. 70's, 80's etc
>> Anonymous
>>313480

Better than the Golden Arm? Unitas once tossed a TD pass in 47 straight games which is football's version of Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hit streak. Call me back when Brady does that. Unitas remains perhaps the prototype for drop-back quarterbacks, an unshakable leader with ridiculous poise, timing, and accuracy in the pocket.

Tarkenton INVENTED the scrambling QB, in a time when he was actually being criticized for even daring to leave the pocket. The only knock on Tarkenton is that he never won a championship in his career.

I don't get off on comparing guys who are currently playing to old hall of famers.

Let's just agree he's one of the best currently playing. Top 5 easy.
>> Anonymous
>>313495

Behind Favre and Peyton Manning, of course.
>> Anonymous
>>313495

I think he could crack the top 5 someday. Him and Manning are both the best in the league (though Brady is probably slightly better) and both could probably be placed in the top 10 all time.

Brady is a product of all the talent around him. And a quantity of VHS tapes.
