Hey /sp/,

Don't mind us. We're just cruising our way to a national title this year.

LSU last year? not even a little bit? 2 bowl games won, music city bowl but hey, gotta start some where? just a little bit? brooks has really done something to this school and i think that certainly a program like UK even sniffing the idea of sustained post season play in the SEC deserves some respect

fewer season openers against JC's and Directional Schools (Northwest Eastern Middle Tennesse) would help make their early record valid. Although same could be said for alota SEC teams I guess, 'bama should be above LSU thoughs.

Alabama can talk all they want, they earned it this past weekend.

What sucks for them though, is that outside injecting their name into talk for Miami, nothing else changed outside general consensus that the SEC champ and the Big XII champ were to be the two teams this year. UGA, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Mizzou, Oklahoma are all still in it. USC to a lesser extent. Bama still has to make it past LSU and Auburn, and then likely UGA again in Atlanta before they should even think about booking a ticket.

Remember 6-0 last year?
Remember 7-6 at the end?

The Dawgs will see you in Atlanta. Hope you make it.

Theres no such thing as a national title in stupid College football. See college basketball for how a national title works.

Well no one can do a goddamned thing about it, so for all intents and purposes it will be called a national title.

Seriously, the fucking BCS system has a stranglehold on that level of college football and it will be many years before a playoff system is introduced.

It also doesn't help when people like Mark Richt say idiotic things like "a large playoff system would mean that the regular season loses its luster." Hey dumbass, the NFL seems to do fine with it along with those who follow FCS football. One or two loses wouldn't kill your fucking season and I really don't see why fans wouldn't still pack all the stadiums like they normally do. That said, we don't need 32 or 64 teams to enter such a playoff. 16 teams would be fine or maybe more with like the big conference champions getting a bye week.
