More like, Ribeiro is a dead man tonight if he gets on with McCarty.

SWEEP!

Ribeiro > McCarty in the speed category. Also let's not think Dallas won't be keeping an eye on retaliations from the butt hurt Wings. Osgood has a shit ton of padding to absorb the hurt from 100mph slap shots. Ribeiro's stick did nothing to "Ozzy." He dove trying to get Ribeiro a suspension.

Guess there isn't as much Westfags or people interested in real hockey around...

Penalty after penalty for Detroit.

> facepalm.jpg
>> Anonymous
It's not that Detroit's necessarily doing things to get these penalties, it's just the refs want to help get Dallas back into it.

See Ott's cheap after-play hit no-call for proof. Detroit would have been whistled up and down for that shit.

I think the Red Wings are going to win the Stanley Cup.

The Stars are completely overmatched.

That was some of the most piss-poor power plays I've seen all season.

As a Wingsfag I have to say everything went just as planned. I was hoping for some combination of SJ, Calgary, and Anaheim to play one another for the first two rounds (which happened), play long hard series (which happened for Calgary-SJ and SJ-Dallas) so that the conference final will be played against the beat-up victor. I was expecting SJ or Anaheim to have made it this far instead of the Stars but beyond that it's been perfect.

that was a good game.

Well, it was a fast game, anyways. Up and down the ice, lots of energy...But after the third goal Detroit dominated every aspect of the game.

The only thing more boring than a sunshine cup win is a Red Wings cup win.

Here's to the Penguins tearing Detroit several new assholes!
>> Anonymous

Yea, good luck with that.

I just realized why so many Wings fans show up to their away games; no one lives in that shit-hole, shell of a city.

Bandwagoners? In my Joe Louis?
Yeah motherfucking right. Finally you're going to get to play a team with defense and then you're going to get raeped.

Norris Trophy anyone?

Cheers.

If poor home game attendance is all that can be said negatively about the Wings, I think they're pretty fucking set. Besides, why win the Cup at home when it'll be so much more satisfying to win it in Mellon Arena to the sound of 17000 people facepalming at once.
>> Anonymous
>>97654

...I'd make a smarmy witty rebuttal but you're actually not far off the mark. A lot of people have moved away from Detroit as the auto-plants have moved, or just moved away.

Whoops.
>> Anonymous
>>97697
Against a team missing it's best d-man by far. Fail. Unless some kind of explosion takes out Lidstrom, Stuart, Kronwall, and Rafalski in one fell swoop Penguins are fucked.
>> Anonymous
>>97683

Much as I'm loathe to say it, I actually have to agree with CB on this one. The rangers' defense isn't the best in the world, but they're not exactly bad, either.

Then again, even CB has to admit that they don't hold a candle to Lidstrom and crew.
>> Anonymous
>>97669
your division had defense? when was this?
>> Anonymous
>>97709
>The rangers' defense isn't the best in the world, but they're not exactly bad, either.

Was it anything comparable to the Wings'?
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>97711

Are you fucking retarded?

>>97707

The Flyers don't have a good Defense.

Who gives a shit? They are a sub-par team.

>>97709

Detroit is a very good team. So are the Penguins.

I've been waiting for this series since the Playoffs began. This has the potential to be one of the best finals of all time.

Wow, one line and you already contradict yourself.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>97720

I was referring to the other 3 teams that made the Playoffs from that division. The Flyers had the worst Defense of the 4 that made the Playoffs.

Specifically 2 of the 3 Vezina Trophy finalists are in the Atlantic Division.
>> Anonymous
How can anyone in their right mind think that the penguins can beat the Wings? I mean, even pittsburghfags should come to the conclusion by now that it's impossible
>> Anonymous
>>97715

Well, if you read the next line of the post you quoted you can see that they "...don't hold a candle to Lidstrom and Crew."
>> Anonymous
>>97729

I think it would be a great series. Lot of offense, fast play, exciting as hell.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>97729

I think that Detroit would be the favorites.

Impossible?

You have to be fucking kidding me.
>> Anonymous
>>97729

I don't know about "impossible." Oilers over Wings in 2006 was "impossible." It's the playoffs--everything is possible.

Detriot would certianly be favorites, though.
>> Anonymous
>>97733
alright then, I'll tell you what: Detroit wins 4 games to 1. That's the best I can do for your shit team
>> Anonymous
>>97729
The Penguins have a bit of an edge in terms of offensive depth, particularly if Mule winds up being out of play for the long term. That said, Detroit's offense is hardly lacking, and what the hell is there on the blue line to stop them? Hal Gill?
>> Anonymous
>>97739
the difference between oilers and penguins, is the oilers worked hard to win while the girls playing for the penguins flopped to get their wins

If anything I think the Pens are the favorites here, and I think it works in Detroit's favor. While every advertiser and sportscaster in the league masturbate furiously to the idea of poster child Sidney "Drink Gatorade and you too can have a 25-goal season!" Crosby winning a Cup, Detroit are yet again doubted as being too old, too European, too focused on the regular season to get the job done. If anything it's Detroit that has something to prove here, they're fed up of being told can't can't can't, and now that they're this close to the Cup they're going to fight tooth and nail for it.
>> Anonymous
>>97757
idk about them being too old or not a favorite, but advertisers and sportscasters masterbating to Sidney Crosby sounds about right
