Dude, Lincecum is the best pitcher in the NL. He's got like, 8 wins with an ERA of about 2.20.HE IS GOOD.
>>170946ThisLOWEST ERA IN THE MAJORS, FAGGOTS
YES, FELLOW GIANTSFAGS!COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK AND FIGHT THE POWER WITH ME!Or is Lincecum actually known to baseball fans outside of the Bay Area?

>>170842Ben Sheets is 8-1, two complete games (the NL as a whole has only 11), one game where he pitched 8 2/3 innings, and a 2.74 ERA.Of course, since he doesn't play in New York, LA, or Chicago, nobody gives a shit
>>171056>nobody gives a shit
Wins are an incredibly dumb way to measure a pitcher's worth and should only be used as a tiebreaker once you've exhausted more meaningful things like ERA, WHIP and K/9. If wins were what mattered most Mike Mussina would be a prominent figure in the AL starter discussion.Wins are a team stat. Nothing more, nothing less.If the ASG were tomorrow, Volquez should start for the NL, as much as I love Lincecum. AL's a bit trickier, as Kazmir and Lackey have had great seasons so far but missed a good chunk of them, making me lean more toward Marcum.
>>171060Marcum got slammed tonight in Milwaukee. The ball Russell the Muscle hit still hasn't landed.
>>171056>Of course, since he doesn't play in New York, Boston, Boston, or Boston, nobody gives a shit
>>171066Huh, so he did. Interesting. That'll toss Lee and Mats into the mix. It's really anybody's spot to take at this point.
>>171060You should also consider Beckett..
>>171066Branyan has an .804 slugging and a 1.207 OPS. That's higher than Berkman, Jones, and basically anyone with more than 5 at bats.
>>171101That's because 9 of his 20 hits are home runs.RUSSELL THE MUSCLE BABY
for the AL, if you only look at performance up to this point i'd go with marcum. If you want to take into account who's likely to maintain that performance, id go with halladay.and no, im not a toronto fan.
>>171112Also, he cracked the top 500 in all time HRs today.

>>171179Webb has been throwing balls at that nigra Volquez the entire thread.
>>170971Lincecum is known in Seattle.
>>171078No one with an ERA a little under 4 should be starting the All-Star game. Beckett deserves the start over Mats just as much as Xavier Nady deserves a spot over Jason Bay (hint: not at all).
