most EPL fans that actually have a clue about football (not many of these on /sp/ sadly) are as opposed to what the league has become as Platini is. it's a foreign owned circus saddled with massive amounts of debt and it's big clubs have no interest in maintaining any sort of connection with their true supporters.

it's not good for anyone really. if you can see past the hype and the big name stars it's all a bit of a joke.

platini is still a cunt, but he's not wrong on this one.

Awesome player. Major asshole. But agree with his views on the Premier League. Anyone who thinks that all the major clubs being under foreign ownership with foreign players and foreign managers is a good thing for English football is a fucking retard. And yes, most English football fans are fucking retards. Hence why nobody seems to mind that we don't own our clubs and have to pay to watch matches on TV.

In some ways it's been good for the EPL, in that the quality of football had dramatically improved with the influx of foreigners.

But even that is worrying and suggests that more money should be going into academies to develop young English players better.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions... And that's what makes Platini all the more annoying.
