Fix'd. Also, a great metaphor for life: "you'll always end up short even if you try your best".

Spoiler: No.

Yes, the Texans are more than an adequate replacement for the ex-Oilers. Because any team that passed on Reggie Bush AND Hometown Vince Young deserves Houston's undying adoration.

As a Texans fan, I can assure everyone that nobody misses the Oilers. It's not like the Oilers ever won anything, anyway.

Bud Adams and whatever he wants to call his team now can rot.

As a Longhorn, I'm happy that Vince is already having success as a rookie, but the Titans aren't my team, and never will be my team.

There have been way too many other amazing moments in St. Louis sports history to determine this number 1.

Bullsh*t. This was the crowning moment of an epic Super Bowl after the most unlikely NFL season in HISTORY.

This is IT.

You must not have heard of the St. Louis Cardinals and all of the epic baseball post-season moments they've had for 100+ years.

I'll give you the best moment in football history in St. Louis, but overall? No.

Did the Cards ever win the world series on the strength of some nobody from Iowa?

Did the Cards ever go winless in their division one year, and undefeated the next?

Did a Cards team ever garner an immortal nickname, like "The Greatest Show on Turf"?

Boy, this thread's gone waaaaaaaaaay off track.

But seriously, does anyone have a better resolution picture?

The "Gashouse Gang" Cardinals won a World Series on the strength of a couple of hick brothers from Arkansas, after finishing 5th out of 8 teams the year before. There weren't any divisions back then.

Ancient history, I know. But you asked.

To be the greatest sports moment in a city's history, doesn't someone in that city actually have to be a real fan of the team at the time?

I lived in the St Louis area. There were no Rams fans until after they won this super bowl.

Don't be calling me a fairweather fan. I attended 5 of the games from that disastrous 4-12 season.

The Rams should have kept Warner longer.

Bulger sucks ass.

I'm going to assume you have no clue. Warner in his later years began throwing picks at an alarming rate. He was always getting hurt too, which led to a media frenzy stirred up by his wife.

I think part of the problem is Martz's offenses. You have to hold the ball longer, you get hit harder and more often. Sooner or later you start throwing a split-second too soon to get ready for the hit, and you get picked. Happened to Warner, seems to be happening to Bulger now. Can't judge Kitna cuz he always threw picks anyway.
