Fuck off. If you knew anything about Professional Wrestling you would know that...

Years to become pro - 1 isn't accurate at all. You start off in a minor league basically called the Indies. You try to get good enough to be able to appear on TV for WWE or TNA. You NEVER stop learning how to be a pro.

Hundreds of years of traditions - YES, it has been around since the 1800's. Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler for a few years when he was a teenager, it only became popular in the early 1900's at circus's.

Requires a strict diet - YES, it is hard to get a strong workout when you're on the road for so long and then you get to sleep before a show. So to keep looking like the wrestlers do, they do strict dieting, (and steroids) like EVERY sport...

Internationally accepted artform - HELL YES! The Europe and Japan treat it as a SPORT. It's in both the entertainment paper AND the sports paper! FACT: America is the only place in the WORLD that doesn't recognize it as a sport.

As someone who has gone through the training, I'll tell you what I was told the first time I got into the ring. Wrestling is an artform, part theater and part sport. You think it's fake? You're 10% right. Because the rest of that 90% is the very real ring made of steel and wood, ropes made of cable covered in tape. And the moves that you must take in the ring. If you don't breath out when you hit the ring, you will have the wind knocked out of you. If you don't land right, you will get injured.

So yeah, it's not really a SPORT per say. It could just as easily go in /tv. But don't EVER insult it as you have with messed up "knowledge" when you don't know jack squat about it.

If you think I'm a butthurt wrestlefag then go ahead and say it, cause it does hurt. But not as much as me showing you how "fake" wrestling is...

and professional wrestlers work over 300 days a year, because there is no offseason. and if you can't respect that, fuck you pretty much.

Despite what wrestling fans believe, it does NOT require skills to become a professional wrestler. Any amateur can emulate most of the professional wrestling moves, as shown by the numerous backyard wrestling videos. It does not take skills to perform a People's Elbow, Leg Drop, Stone Cold Stunner, Pedigree, Crippler Crossface, etc. Hell, I even choke-slammed my brother in middleschool. These moves are not hard to do.

And despite what wrestling fans believe, it does not take skills to take a "bump." Any idiot can jump off a ladder or get hit with a steel chair or fall onto a table covered with thumbtacks. But most people are intelligent enough to avoid hurting themselves on purpose.

You do not need physical prowess and strict training to become a professional wrestler (ie. Mick Foley, Big Daddy, Hulk Hogan, and many other stiff out-of-shape wrestlers)

Also, Abraham Lincoln wrestled for real. He wasn't doing that pansy WWE crap.

Hang in there Japanese/European wrestlers, Chris Benoit (pre-psycho), Eddie Guerrero, and countless others.

Also, any idiot can grab a football and throw it too. I threw a 30 yard bomb to a friend who caught it over his shoulder. Any idiot can kick a soccer ball into a net. Any idiot can hit a puck with a stick. There are videos of people doing this stuff all the time.

It's not our fault you miss the subtleties of the game.

It takes 3 to 4 years of training to learn how to dance "en pointe" (toe dancing), which is the most basic of ballet techniques. And many dancers are forced to give up ballet because they don't have the foot strength for pointe work.

Ballet is a thousand times more physically demanding than WWE wrestling.

Whenever they have a former athlete compete in a couple of WWE matches, they always say the same thing. WWE matches and prep was more physically demanding than their respective sport.

Yes, WWE is so complex and physically demanding that it takes years of training to look good in the ring...

oh wait, no it doesn't. Anybody can perform well in the ring after a couple of training sessions.

here's my question to you: have you ever heard of a reality show in which contestants OFF THE FUCKING STREET WITH NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER, WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY WITH ATHLETIC TASKS IN GENERAL are competing for a GUARANTEED contract with any serious sporting organization? no? not even ballet? that's right, wrasslinfags, go fuck yourselves.

In this thread: Whoa, I had no idea ballet was so hardcore.

Yes, ballet is fucking hardcore. You have to begin training at a young age (8-15), or you'll never succeed. Serious ballet schools don't even accept students over the age of 18 because it becomes too difficult to teach them pointe work. What's sad is that many girls train for most their life, only to find out their body can't handle the rigorous demands of ballet.

I went to the ballet at the Paris National Opera House. I saw Le Corsaire. The actual dancing was physically impressive, but overall the experience was pretty boring.

Opera is way more entertaining than ballet.
