How fitting, to have had the epic failure of 18-1 get smashed in their own stadium without their precious Brady, by the hapless, formerly 1-15 Dolphins. I look forward to this game and hope Miami wins to shut the fucking Patriots up once and for good this season.

How fucking ignorant. This is not the 1-15 Dolphins, they completely rebuilt the team this season and it works.

The Dolphins could win if the Defense doesn't improve, though Cassel and the Offense are much more comfortable this time. Same with the Jets. I see the Patriots and Jets making the playoffs.

18-1

GO GO DOLPHINS /sp/ loves you, and thinks the 18-1's need to die in a fire

Its not all that 'completely rebuilt.' The only huge difference is Pennington and healthy running backs. And yes, that is huge, but the defense in particular is just a fine tuned version of what you saw last year.

They have just gotten some experience under their belts and, most importantly, they feel like they should win. Not enough is said about morale in modern sports.

It's more than just that. 4 of 5 o-line positions are different from last season. The defensive line is almost completely rebuilt. What team are you looking at?

I love the Dolphins for making football fun again. They singlehandedly brought back the Wildcat offense!

I love that for so many reasons, everybody calling it the wildcat offense. I'm not picking on you dude, but the fact that you, the media, everyone now refer to the single wing formation the 'Wildcat' tickles me pink.

Its like we have reinvented the very sport of football.

lol agreed, but how about that san fran area high school or what ever it is, with 2x quarter backs, 3x line men, and a slew of recivers, where some times the center is an eligble reciver. that shit is awsome

From what I understand that would be illegal in the NFL.

not to mention, no old ass zach thomas

someone will find away, defensive players are getting to be to good, someone will have to invent a new formation or something

As a fan of football, removing all bias, what that coach did is amazing to me. He realized the weakness of his team and did what he could to produce something that nobody has ever seen before.

I would like the sport to encourage innovation like that. It keeps things entertaining at the very least. Football is a very tactical sport, a game of 'who can do the same thing better then the other guy' will eventually get stale.

what school is this? I went to HS in SF

Just wait, a few years after LeBeau retires, they'll be calling the zone blitz "ninja pass-rush" or something equally retarded.

I am sorry I don't remember the school name, it was brilliant tho, the coach had smaller then average players, and he keeps the defense guessing by constantly swapping who is an eligble reciver, only way to really cover it is with man, but you have to identify who is eligble, and in the time the quarter back says "set hike"

Pro tip: There is no foot ball rule anywhere that says the ball even has to be hiked in a game, a time could literally sit there and never take a snap

makes me wonder if Dnabb knows that

yeah i just remember back in the day playing HS football in SF, our school ran with a double wing offense...which is basically the opposite of what is being described here....instead of all passing, it was all running. common formation would be to run with two tight ends, a FB, RB, and mabye a WR just for show. or if we wanted to we would run with the old Maryland I-formation with two fullbacks.

and the funny thing is that we did this with o-linemen that were 165lb filipino dudes.

and we ended up winning the area catholic athletic league...the premier HS athletic competition in the SF bay area. First time winning the league in almost 30 years.

lol cool story bro, the secret to football has always been speed, if you get to where you need to be before the other guy, you win most the time. have seen alot of the double wing or "wing T" formation. not as explosive, but how bout some smash mouth football!?!
