I don't want to start a soccer fight. I'm just an Amerifag that can't understand. What's with all the company endorcement stuff on soccer uniforms? It would be hard for me to imagine any American football team wearing a gatorade logo or Qwest Communication patch on their chest.

They just sit and drink it at the side instead, while you're watching commercials...
I'd take ads on shirts over commercial breaks every 5 minutes every day of the week.

These new shits are pretty nice... though more looks like something England would wear as home kit

Is this the same america I know of? The land of commercialism, you already have teams like RED BULL and home grounds like Gillette Stadium

It's OK. Would be better if that red bit was blue, though.

The blue is too light... those horizontal striped really dark blue kit's they used to have about 10 years ago were cool, when it was still SHARP. This just looks childish.

Compared to the new build ones we have the premiership like JJB, Reebok, Emirates, Kingston Communications Stadium.

Not too mention the programmes, I'm sure every 5th page in United's an advert for Air Asia (no I'm not joking).

Oh and are league is called the Barclay's English Premier League. Are cup competitions are the Coca-Cola, Carling, Milk fuck knows who will sponsor the league cup next year, and the EON FA CUP with the finals of both played at the EON Wembley stadium which they let you know is sponsored by EON.

Oh and the majority of our match (not highlights) are shown on channels with two ad breaks during half time.

Electronic banners round the stadium... Where post match commentary is taken place... the bottles they drink out of at the edge of the pitch... unless they have special clear Lucozade.

You know, european football doesn't stop every thirtyfive seconds for five minutes like the american counterpart and we don't have turns or time outs either.

Stuffing all those commercials in a regular match would be such a troublesome task they just put them on the uniforms to get visibility 24/7.
