So, guise, the season is more or less over, with only the CL Final left to play. What's going on with your favourite clubs? Who do they plan on buying/selling this summer?

Barcelona
Out:
Rijkaard
Eto'o(probably Inter;40million€)
Ronaldinho(Milan, or he stays;20-25 million€)
Deco(Inter/Milan/Juventus-15 million€)
Zambrotta(Milan/Juventus-5 million€)
Also:Thuram, Ezquerro, Pinto and Edmilson. There were English papers saying Xavi, Puyol and G2S might move to the EPL, but they were just British bullshit.

In.
D.Alves&Keita(Sevilla-~40 million€;will be confirmed in the coming days)
Pique(ManU-8million€)
Palacio(Boca Juniors-15million€)

Would anyone be stupid enough to buy Eto'o for €40million now though? He isn't the player he was a couple of seasons ago - Okay he has just recovered this season and he had a long run in the African Nations Cup - but is he worth that much now? I was hopig they would get rid of him last season to be honest becasue he's an arrogant dickhead - and then they bought another arrogant dickhead who can't score. Great.

We need a couple of decent strikers and I don't see us getting more than one this summer.

Ideally I like to see Villa come to Barca, but that's a long shot.
>> Anonymous

If Villa leaves (which is *kinda* probable) he prolly wont go to another spanish team.

Milan should buy el kun aguero.
>> Anonymous
>>104694
You really can't blame Eto'o for his bad form this season, the whole team sucked. And Eto'o was one of the few who actually did everthing he could. But you can't expect a striker to just score 30 goals, if the team doesn't even try to play. But he has his personality problems, so I wouldn't really mind him leaving for 40 million €.

And if Villa leaves Valenica, it will probably be for Barca or Madrid. I don't think he'll go to the EPL.

I hope he doesn't go to Chelsea, it's a bit of a graveyard for great talent. I don't think ManU are too interested and Liverpool don't have the cash. Barca would be ideal, for him, not sure if he would into going to Madrid as Raul hates him for taking his place in the national team.

Huntelaar wans to go to Man Utd badly. His agent wants it too, keeps dropping hints in the press. Depends though, not all Dutch striker succeed in England - Ruud did - Kuyt didn't. It's a gamble. I think Utd would want Benzema or Berbatov before Huntelaar. Madrid seem to be interested in him also, but they are interested in everyone so that means nothing. He might stay to play under Van basten.

One deal that looks certain to go down is Celtic signing Croatian midfielder Ognjen Vukojevic. from Dinamo Zagreb. He is a great buy because hes young, and fits into the long term strategy of buying young, and getting maximum value if you are forced to sell later. hes recently become a capped member of the Croatian, and with Rosicky out for Euro 08, hes looking to become part of the fold for Croatia.

He is nicknamed Dinamo's Gattuso for his intense and agressive style of play. we really need that kind of snarling player to be our holding midfielder, ala Neil Lennon.

but there have been numerous links with players to fill our most pressing needs. we need a left back, central defender, holding midfielder, and a striker. hopefully we have our midfielder found already. i dont think this is another massimo donati, whose style of play is just not suited for scotland. but in defense two names i like are daniel van buyten, and christoph metzelder. both are players that have been long rumoured out of their clubs, and we do offer champions league football and a club to further their careers. we do need another striker, and making the loan of giorgios samaras permanent makes nothing but perfect sense. he has scored vital goals for us, looked great in europe, and he has provided the spark that he also rekindled the form of both jan venegoor of hesselink and scott mcdonald. adding another striker if at all possible would be preferred. another name mentioned is james mcfadden from the relegated birmingham. he is a celtic supporter, and has been tracked by celtic since he was at motherwell. adding the best young scottish talent is always a positive.

part 1
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
elsewhere on the field i think we are good. celtic have a great reserve system, and we have several young players i would like to see make their strides into the first team. paul caddis performed exceptionally well against barcelona in the champions league, and at just 19 is is well on his way up. Cillian Sheridan and Jim O'Brien are two of the most exciting prospects. But we also have youngsters like Rocco Quinn, Diarmuid O'Carroll, Michael McGlinchy, and especially Ryan Conroy.

During a pre-season tournament in Brussels, a game took place between Celtic and Greek side AEK Athens. After watching a Celtic side containing Conroy, McGeady, Hasson, Ferry, Wallace and McGaughey thrash his side 13-0, Greek coach Ilias Lambrou commented that Conroy was "the best young player I've ever seen, bar none".

we are well on our way to three straight league titles as rangers have finally been exposed. first was to zenit. now motherwell have put us in position to win the league.

Next year we should be able to make it to the champion's league quarterfinals and beyond =)

I think this one is rubbish, Adebayor is better suited to English football anyway and seems happy at Arsenal. But we do need a striker - Eto'o is going, Henry is past it. We need someone like Villa. Incoming Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola is ready to revolutionise his squad next season, and last week it was reported that he was ready to let the following 11 senior players leave: Gudjohnsen, Ronaldinho, Pinto, Henry, Edmílson, Giovani, Ezquerro, Thuram, Oleguer, Touré and Jorquera.

With the 36-year-old veteran Lilian Thuram set to leave, and Gabriel Milito out for at least six months with a damaged anterior cruciate ligament injury, Guardiola is reportedly looking to bring in Inter’s Marco Materazzi to partner Carles Puyol at the heart of defence.

MATERNAZI????? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?

This thread is full of idiots who refuse to keep up.

Hleb has already brought out his contract. He has no club. He is already negotiating with Inter I think.

Pique has gone to Barca. United were never going to keep him, every Spanish player has this idea that Barcelona is the best club in the world.

Chelsea and Arsenal have officially died as clubs. Grant is the only one in the Chelsea camp who still thinks he has a team. Lampard and Drogba will follow Mourihno to Inter and Mancini is desperate to move to Chelsea. Carvahlo has already admitted he expects ALOT of players to leave and the team to basically crumble and Drogba's backstabbing of his team mates is not helping Chelsea in the least.

Liverpool are once again buying piece's of shit with "potential" instead of buying big like a top 4 club should.

Trying to guess SAF's purchases is useless, he will pull something completely from out of the hat and have them turn into a flop or a wonderous goal machine. I think it's already happened, I watched Manucho in the ACON and he looks like a absolute machine.

That is the PL round up.

But La Liga is not better than the PL. About now I'd say equal terms. You have 2 good teams. Barca and Madrid. Probably some other teams below that but I admit I don't pay alot of attention to it. In the EPL we have 2 good teams. Chelsea and United, with 2 close behind them, Liverpool and Arsenal. All these teams have been in a final, in the last 3 years. Arsenal v Barca. Liverpool v Milan. United v Chelsea.
5-10 years ago the PL was behind, but now it's equal and will only surpass the La Liga.

lol never pay attention to things like that.

He's french and he plays somewhere ahead of the defence? He MUST be like zidane in some sort of way.

He could have been good but Kaka was better.

two goals in extra time will mean NOTHING if it wasn't for riise's own goal, because the aggregate was 4-3

take away the OG and it's 3-3 at extra time and UNLIMITED PENALTY WORKS and we all know how chelsea fare at that?

stupid cunt. go die with the rest of the sods who will die in a terrorist attack in moscow on wednesday >:(

Would I be right in saying Kalou was right behind Riise, so if Riise didn't atleast try, they would have scored?

Yes. Yes I think I was right.
>> Anonymous
>>106136

Riise COULD also use that fucking RIGHT FOOT of his to kick the ball OUT OF PLAY, and if chelshite got a goal from the corner, I wouldn't have complained.

Kalou was totally a non factor

>Kalou was totally a non factor
Yeah sorry, Kalou is probably the worst "striker" I've ever had the displeasure to watch.

And Riise is left footed. I wouldn't have used my left foot in that situation if it was the other way around.

>Yeah sorry, Kalou is probably the worst "striker" I've ever had the displeasure to watch.

He's fast though. And for a while, the "fast = good!" mentality reigned in the Premiership. That's what landed Cissé, Saha and Bellamy a place in top sides. With about 9 goals each every season. *snort*.
Not to say fast players are fail, but positioning beats pure pace.

To be honest mate I'd be careful what names you throw around. Saha WAS a ledgend in the making at United scoring some crucial goals in some good amounts before he turned into what basically constitutes an amputee.

Fun Fact: Jaap Stam has revealed that during training, Inzaghi would skip the "rondo"-style exercises because his technique was so shit he couldn't do it.
Still makes him a formidable player when it matters. Roll on Pippo.

If he played against a team that could actually defend he wouldn't score so much. I've never seen him score from outside 6 yard box.

Not a bad finisher tbh.
>> Anonymous
>>106177
We all know that Inzaghi has no technique. Or speed. Or accuracy. But his positioning is the best I've ever seen. And now he's UEFAs leading all time scorer.
>> Anonymous
>>106175

Which brings us to pace-problem number 2: THEY ARE NEVER FIT! Like Saha. Bellamy, the same. Kluivert? His knees got fucked, end of career. Owen was pacy, right? before his knees gave out?

Read this on BBC.
>Tottenham remain favourites to sign Samuel Eto'o after bidding £24m for the Barcelona striker - £8m more than AC and Inter Milan. (London Evening Standard, 1421 BST)

That doesn't come from being fast, that comes from training like a workhorse. Also, it was never Saha's pace that was his main ability, it was just something good about him.

>Tottenham remain favourites to sign Samuel Eto'o after bidding £24m for the Barcelona striker - £8m more than AC and Inter Milan

What? Since when is £24m mora than 40m€? £24m=30m€, and Inter is offering 40m€, faggots at BBC don't know shit.

Galliani:"On new players: 'I don't think Barcelona will lower their offer to 25 million euros, in any case that is not Milan's offer. We are interested in big name players like Amauri, but we've never started any negotiations with Palermo. We are not thinking about other strikers until we resolve the co-ownership with Borriello: if he comes back he will be an alternative for Amauri, otherwise we will get someone else: if Amauri's still available we will get Amauri, if not we'll get someone else. There are a lot of players you wouldn't think about who want to join Milan even if we have to play the Uefa Cup."

All the players form a circle. Then, the players ping-pong the ball to the opposite side as fast as possible. Really a simple exercise.

Even if the BBC wasn't full of shit, that would be hilarious considering Tottenham need to spend 24 mil on fucking defense not another striker, regardless of Berbatov leaving.

Tottenham = scoring a shit ton of goals and conceding just as many since 1882.

Goal difference. Unless you play in Spain or Italy where head to head is the tie breaker.

Shitty season.
finish 16th, we could fall in 2th league
won League Cup but it's a crappy cup, don't give a fuck about it
Will play French Final next sturday against Lyon
So, shitty season in championship, but great in cups, who cares

OUT: Pauleta, Yepes, Mendy, Alonzo
PROBABLY OUT: Armand, Clement, Diané
HOPE OUT: the coach Le Guen, Souza, Ceara, Everton, Bourillon

IN : Hoarau, the best scorer of the 2th league, hope he will do a great season with us

POSSIBLE IN: Krasic, Crespo?, Eduardo Costa, Srna, Castelen

We need also a new president, maybe a new coach, I want 11 new players, but it's impossible, our stockholder Colony Capital are jew and don't give a fuck about our competitiveness.

@ Britfags - Go start a thread about how awesome the EPL is and see if anyone cares you tedious fuckwits. We're talking about transfer speculation here, so speculate or gtfo

It's pretty pointless comparing leagues, some are more successful than others at different times - constantly braying on about it here doesn't really help your case when every other nationality here regards you as ignorant meatheaded flag waving yobs.
