I don't watch college football, explain what happened, although I'm sure Utah was the opposing team.

Locker made a great run into the end zone with :02 left in the game, got up after he tripped, flung the ball over his shoulder and started celebrating with his team. Refs penalized him for throwing it, pushed the PAT back, then BYU blocked it and rushed the field.

Jake Locker gets no love from anyone.

It was a bitch call. PAC10 refs need to fucking kill themselves.
>> Anonymous
No, the refs made the right call, based on the rule.

The people that need to be killed are the people responsible for implementing that rule to begin with.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Given the situation I think the refs could exercise a little discretion. He didn't tant anyone and he didn't delay the game with his ball flip. The refs fucked with the outcome of the game and that's just not right, regardless of what the rules say.

Bottom line: Washington should've had protection for his kicker, I don't care where he's kicking the ball. Blocks don't happen that often, unless you suck.

There were a lot of homer calls and holds just to get Washington into the game.

HURRRR you say. What if Ty wanted to go for 2, he couldn't do it from 15 out?

He had no intention of going for 2. If you saw the game, he was putting up his finger, meaning he always had intentions of going to OT. And the way they broke through that line, they'd have blocked that too, methinks.

I Loled... that game was total bullshit... although i don't want BYU to lose until utah takes it to them at home and gets launched to another BCS bowl. Which will happen once they get past TCU

Yea, that was pretty crazy. But the refs fucked it up for Washington during the game as well. I say the winner would've won anyhow.

I still want UCLA to kick their ass next week.

Oh, OK. You're a dipshit if you think that call was justified in any way. It doesn't matter whether they should have made the kick or not, it was a bad call - period.

The refs should not take the outcome of the game out of the hands of the two teams on the field. It's their fucking job to not be noticed. Now the only reason people will remember this game is because of the refs.

After blocking the extra point, the team ran onto the field like a bunch of douches and we are required, by rule, to assess a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. It is a celebration rule that we are required to call. It is not a judgment call.
