It's a pity they'll have to award the Stanley Cup in that shithole of an arena, the Igloo.

...

I just fucking realized that was a tire.

I've never stared intently at the logo since I first saw it as a kid...I didn't know or care what the circle part of it was...

...Jesus fuck I'm disappointed in myself.

Wow that logo sucks now

You think that's bad, I didn't even realize that Long Island was pictured in the NYI's logo until this season. I always just saw it as an orange smudge to fill up space.

My father and I were watching Game 1 of the Philadelphia/Washington series. I said something about the Capitals' new logo not being that great and why it couldn't be something simple and recognizable like Philly's. "P" for Philadelphia, feathers for "Flyers" and an orange hockey puck in the loop of the P.

He asked "Is it really supposed to be a hockey puck?"

"I don't really know. I just made that up."

Turns out, it really is intened to be a hockey puck.

according to a random forum I googled for:

"The spoked "B" on the Bruins' uniform refers to Boston's (self-proclaimed) status as "Hub of the Universe." The "B" forms the hub of a wheel."

The WE MUST INCLUDE A HOCKEY STICK AND/OR PUCK trend is so horrible.

as opposed to the washed out, unemployed Pittsburgh?

If they wanted to give it to a decent city they would have had San Jose win the cup

Pittsburgh has been ranked the most livable city in America.

San Jose, on the other hand, may as well be a part of Mexico.

Pittsburgh's a much better city than Detroit, but if you factor in the Detroit suburbs then Detroit wins.
