Can anyone explain why American professional leagues (nba, nfl, mlb) have so lenient anti doping policies? No blood tests, no testing during offseason, no surprise tests and low penalties for offenders.

It got my attention when I heard that some known nfl player got banned 2 early season games for steroids!

the NFL is fun to watch in general, but it only gets better when everyone out there is roid raging.

The NFL has a pretty strict anti-doping policy. It also has the weakest players' union. The other leagues have unions that protect their players from drug tests (though as more attention is brought to the issue those protections start to break down)

Yeah, the MLB didn't even suspend players for using steroids until just recently. Not only that but, when they finally got around to testing, players were only suspended 10 games out of a 162 game season... lol at the monster players union baseball had.

Because watching mutants beat each other on the football field is awesome and we really don't give a crap what happens to them after they retire. Its pretty much human cock fighting.
