Will we see TWO BCS Busters this year?

After what Georgia did to Hawaii last year (and Boise a couple seasons back as well), let's hope not.

Only one gets in automatically. The other is left out in the cold unless they are invited voluntarily, which would never happen.

It could happen.

PAC-10 is weak, Big East is a joke

Hawaii is/was a joke team
This year's crop of Busters looks more promising

That game was so fucking satisfying. Hawaii fans showed up out of the fuckin woodwork everywhere talking about how they were going to score 6-7 TDs on us, just talkin shit in general. Then after the game when we raped the shit out of 'em and talked trash back they got all defensive, like we weren't allowed to talk back.

If there are any Hawaii fans on this board and you said shit about UGA, fuck you.

way to go beating a wac team, i bet you guys are proud of yourselves

too bad you won't be playing a wac team this week

We'd have to see a lot of crappy football by the top BCS teams over the rest of the season to see two BCS-busters. Besides Boise State, only Utah is even remotely realistic (sorry Tulsa and Ball State fans...you have my heart, but my brain tells me that your schedules blow).

>>433457
This is exactly what Hawaii fans said afterwards. All they did was talk shit non stop about how great Colt Brennan was, then lost the game, and all of a sudden "just a WAC team."

Fuck you, Hawaii fag.

>>433457
btw I agree, Hawaii sucked dick and them being undefeated was meaningless. I was pissed about being relegated to just a BCS bowl instead of the NC game that year, and even more so about having to play some piece of shit WAC team all hyped up on themselves.

I had the opposite experience with Boise State fans. For the most part, they weren't very boisterous and were actually pretty cool, despite all the "durr hurr OU is going to hang half a hundred on Boise in the first half" type of shit they were hearing going in.

All the Hawaii fans were probably just bandwagoners and didn't know shit about football. I can imagine Boise State fans at least having enough football knowledge to understand that they're not playing the same level teams when they step out of conference.

Hawaiifag here, they were like that because UH football is the only show in town and 90% of the people who were at the BCS bowl were people who couldn't name more than 3 people on the team before that season. Fucking bandwagon fags everywhere that season, and because they were bandwagoners (i.e., uneducated in terms of football) they just couldn't believe that some other team could beat almighty UH (BUT WE'RE UNDEFEATED LOL). The real football fans in Hawaii knew we were gonna get destroyed.

Yeah, exactly. I feel bad for the legit Hawaii fans that really enjoy football that had to go through that and had their image marred by a bunch of asshole bandwagoners.

Smart fan is smart.

Warriors bandwagoners and various other pinheads bought into the the hype that they must have been as good as Boise State in 2006 since they went undefeated in the same conference. They all completely failed to notice that they did not have the balance, defense, discipline, and imagination of the '06 Broncos and that their schedule was a Tulsa-like joke (the only BCS team they beat was Washington...lol). Thus, they and their attitudes got exactly what everybody should have expected for such an undeserving team...a total assrape.

I would give a million internets to see Georgia beat Florida

I think a 3 loss Nortre Dame has a better chance at a BCS game than an Undefeated Utah or Boise State.

The Big East and ACC should lose their automatic bids to allow more Mid Majors in.

I would have loved to see Tulsa get into a BCS bowl, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen. At least fucking Ohio State won't be in a BCS bowl this year. All we need is USC to stay out and everything will be right with the college football universe.

Ohio State will get an at large selection for the Rose Bowl if Penn State goes to the title game so that the fuckheads in Pasadena can preserve their precious Big 10/Pac 10 shit.
We could easily have two non-bcs league teams in the top twelve and eligible to be selected, but, as an earlier anon pointed out, only one gets the automatic bid. I think the real interest will come in if #13 TCU beats #10 Utah convincingly. That could spark a huge ruckus about whether a one loss non-BCS team that played three top ten teams (and beat two of 'em) deserves a spot over an undefeated non-BCS team that played a significantly softer schedule.
I'm rooting for multiple non-BCS teams to finish unbeaten, though. Ball State, Boise, Tulsa, I'm rooting for you guys.

Tulsa has Arkansas which I would think is a tad better than Oregon (especially if they can beat them handily), though Tulsa will probably still get the shaft.

Arkansas is much worse than Oregon, what the hell are you talking about?

Tulsafags can keep telling themselves that beating Arkansas is good enough to have a BCS-busting resumé all they want and we can argue all day whether beating a relatively weak team in the SEC is superior to beating a semi-decent team in what is this year the Fail-10. As much as I'd like to see it, the fact is that Tulsa's overall schedule, bites, blows, AND sucks. I honestly see no way they can be much better than Hawaii was last year against a big-time team unless they get lucky like Utah did in their BCS-busting season and get matched up against a fail team from the Big Least. With nothing to truly prove their worth, Tulsa should be happy with their Liberty Bowl.

If you're in the Top 12, you're in. What you fuckers forget is, if you're in the Top *15* you're in IF YOU'RE HIGHER-RANKED THAN A BCS-CONFERENCE CHAMP.

If you look at the rankings (thanks, Woody), the Medium East has ONE ranked team this week, South Florida at #23. TWENTY-FUCKING-THREE. The Mountain West is already better than that shit conference, and has been since Miami/Vtech left it. Utah is IN if they win out. TCU might get back up there, too. Tulsa has to beat Arkansas. Ball State is adorable.

Utah and TCU are the only two teams that even deserve to go in. All Boise State has done is beat Oregon.

Probably Utah.

Utah and TCU are the only teams who deserve it CURRENTLY.

If Tulsa beats Arkansas, then they deserve it, too. Fuckers.

Not necessarily. Arkansas is certainly not good this year and probably won't be until they get another Reggie McFadden, but the Pac-10 is just so completely overrated. They just barely beat Purdue and Purdue has been such a mess this year.

I really don't care either way which team is better, I mainly want to see if Tulsa's high powered offense (did you see their game last night?) could compete with a strong BCS team. Their athletes are so well conditioned and wear down their opponents' defenses by going no-huddle and wasting little time.
