Hey /sp/.

What is the best place to shop for cheap but authentic hero (player name + number) football/soccer jerseys? eBay is nothing but bootlegs and the few credible websites charge way too much. $130+ for one jersey is ridiculous.

Has to ship to the USA btw.

Player name and number? Are you for real!?

Dude, seriously. Stick to watching American football or baseball. Your attempt at eurofaggotry is fail.

Player name and number? Are you for real!?

Dude, seriously. Stick to hating amerifag football or baseball. Your attempt at eurofaggotry is pleasing.... www.subsidesports.com

But seriously, what football fan gets names and numbers on their kits?

Oh I get it now.

Tell me about it
I always end up getting the names of players that leave after a season so I'm stuck with an obsolete shirt for a year

Indeed. I was once a dumb noob Yank too. Got saddled with a Claudio Reyna Rangers kit. That didn't end well. Eventually became a $95 carwash rag.

Why get jerseys with names/numbers? I don't know about you guys, but I root for my team, not for the players on it.

And given the choice between soccer and American football... I choose rugby. If I'm going to be an american eurofag...I might as well be manly about it.

I do, you mustn't have very good players in your team.

Well, my team isn't soccer or amer.football, but ice hockey. That said, my team, The Red wings, are the best team in the premier ice hockey league in the world.

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that we have some truly great players on the team. But if, say, Henrik Zetterberg left I wouldn't suddenly stop supporting the team. There's nothing worse than seeing people wearing jerseys of players that haven't been on the team for 4 years in the crowd.

cheap, optional name/number on all shirts, worldwide delivery....

Why is that bad? I love seeing people with old players' jerseys around, from 2-3 years ago. Unless it is from a player that was traded to your rival or did something shitty for the team it's fine.

>>27721

it's got to be judged on a player to player basis, I guess.

People wearing Yzerman jerseys are totally fine--the guy spent his entire career as a Red Wing, captained the team for 19 years, and then retired.

Shanahan jerseys, however, are another story. guy left the team...not even because they offered him more money...but because he wanted to play somewhere else. Unfortunatley, Shanahan jerseys are EVERYWHERE when you go to a Wings home game. It's kind of a pet peeve.

Sigh. This is why Soccer and Hockey fans have more passion than any other sports fans in the world.
Most Soccer and Hockey fans pick a team. That's it. No fairweather gayness. You wear your side's kit whether they are hoisting the cup or fighting relegation. Do you think Red Wings fans are going to stop loving their team because Nicklas Lidstrom stopped playing for them? I don't think Chivas or Newcastle fans give a toss if they haven't won silverware in a while.

Sigh...

Do you think every American football fan does this?
>> Anonymous
>>29167
No, just 98% of them. Which is why, I think, College football fans are more passionate. Programs and rosters keep changing, schools, divisions and rivalies are eternal.
>> Anonymous
>>29173

98 percent? If you honestly think that 98% of NFL fans are fairweather, then something is seriously wrong with you.

You like the teams that were successful when you were a kid I take it? Bulls and Broncos here, can't really say I'm different.
>> Anonymous
I would still wear a team kit with a player # even if they retired. Nothing wrong with honoring the past players.

Only exception would be if they got traded to a rival team. I have a Gerrard jersey and if he went to say, Man U. I probably wouldn't wear it again.

On topic, I usually go to Worldsoccershop.com They actually have long sleeve kits and it delivers just about everywhere

It's totally possible. Brett Hull was born and raised in Canada. He has dual citizenship with the U.S. and Canada, and has represented BOTH countries in international play. He even won a silver medal in the 2002 Olympics with the U.S.

I agree. Having a Brazil shirt is great, but it won't go with anything else in your wardrobe and you couldn't wear it anywhere else but Camisa 12 at a Brazil Match. I prefer the superior Blue kit.
