/sp/ what happened to the old "stick with thier team even when they suck" fans. I have been a cowboys fan since '98. And always have been. When the 'Boys were doing shitty and the Texans came to be i didnt jump over to the "Texans are the new Americas Team" Bandwagon. I stuck with the 'Boys. Even when Quincy "Smokin the reefer" Carter QB'D. i spit upon all Bandwagoners.

Fucking AIDS riddin fuckmonkeys.

Green Bay fan here, and I gotta agree with you, especially after this summer when half of the Packers fans I knew suddenly became 'OMG DIEHARD J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!!!' fans just because their butthurt spoiled asses didn't have Favre anymore. And here I thought Packers fans were the most genuine in the NFL.
>> Anonymous
Dolphan here. And I agree with you... I don't care when you start loving a team and from where, as long as you stick with them personally.

Also, as a Dolphan, I win

Vikings fan. We've never had more than one team for any pro sport in Minnesota, but hell... I even remember seeing Minnesotans jumping ship and rooting for the Packers of all teams because the Vikings sucked so bad for so long. Made me sick.

All our teams are capable of getting to the playoffs (except the Timberwolves) but they tend to always choke somewhere in the first round of the postseason, if they get there at all.

Rams got raped, but I still wear the horns.

Cardinals fan here. You're all bandwagoners.
>> Insane AssHole !HVAleLfxtM

No your a bandwagoner. At least my team has remained in my city since they were created. Your's was in St. Louis first. and hasnt been in arizona that long. And is still shit. I will give props to The Rams though. they have shufflled from city to city but at least they have won a superbowl since they went to st. Louis.

I have been a Giants fan since the day I was born. My mom was watching them in the hospital.

Ironically she's a pats fan. And yes, last year was fantastic to live in my house.
>> Alakazam !!OEP6m59Bksc
Seahawks fan since I knew what football was. I live with the team and die with the team, and if they became shitty again (which is inevitable in the next couple years) I'll still root for them every Sunday. Fuck every other team and fuck bandwagoners.

i love them. they abuse me year after year but instead of leaving them i stay by their side with open arms knowing one day they'll love me back.

I'm like that with all the sports I follow. I stick with my hometown teams, and I'm a Baltimore sports fan so I'm more than familiar with 'even when they suck.'

I was with Eagles through shit 90s. I'm still with them now when they're decent, and will still be with them when McNabb leaves and we start being shitty
>> Anonymous
>>322298
Honestly? I think that Vikings guy gets the edge in heartbreak just a little bit more then the Bills. But that's personal opinion.

And mostly because your heartbreak was almost all in one lump... Vikings fans have to deal with fetid hope once every five years or so.

Patsfag here. Sat through all the shit with Bledsoe and co. Heart was broken by BRIT FORVE. Then we won a SB and I was happy. Then we won more and more and I started to get more and more pissed at my fellow Patsfags because they were becoming cocky bandwagoners.

Hopefully this season shakes them loose and we go back to being a good fanbase again.

I've been a Lions fan for my entire life. I'll admit i wasn't around for the good old days, but in my lifetime we've had ONE winning season. Every year I fool myself into thinking this is the year and once again it looks like the same old Lions.

Always been a Browns fan here in Ohio. From what I've noticed they have a pretty loyal and devoted fanbase. There are a lot of Steelers fans around here though, but that comes with the territory (And where aren't there Steeler fans?), but I don't see them switching sides if the Browns suddenly get good.
>> Anonymous
NY Rangers and Giants fan here, recently things have been pretty good for both of my teams, especially the Giants, of course.

Though the Rangers look like a huge question mark this upcming season, they shouldn't be too horrible. But before Jagr came around the last time we had a decent season Gretzky was still in the NHL. And even before that ever since the cup season we were nothing special.

And fuck the Jets and the Islanders.

This is going to be THE year in New England.

The bandwagon fans will be blatantly obvious and jump ship. The diehards (hey, they've had 140 consecutive sellouts... SOMEONE went to see them before '01) will stay through think and Cassel.

Yeah I got into football when I was seven years old too, weird, but I had actually watched it well before that when I didn't understand what the fuck was going on. There'd be an incomplete pass and I'd yell to my dad "OMG INTERCEPTION" and he'd come running like "WHAT!!" but it was only second down. lol
