Were there really no better hitting shortstops? I mean, Jeter did hit .300, but only 25 doubles and 11 home runs with 69 RBIs. That's shit numbers for a Silver Slugger.

Jhonny Peralta had a better hitting year. That was it, though, and it was pretty close.
