I hate the 'greatest dynasty' rhetoric.

Dynasties are inherently the greatest of their generation, and (as we've established multiple times) cross-generational franchise comparisons are inevitably moot.

Full disclosure: 49ersfag here.

in b4 i got trolled, just throwing out some 2 cents.

I think OP was reminding us that the media was declaring the 2002 pats the greatest dynasty in history back then.

I have a strong feeling that OP hates the pats as much as anyone else.

thats why we are letting them know we have seen the future, and no one will be spared, not even 18-1!

Its kind of funny, the entire Patshate, I get it, but it is still funny a team can go nearly undefeated, lose to a team that is currently demolishing everybody they come across (inb4browns), and everybody says all it was was the ultimate of failures.
They already had 3 rings, it was about time they lost one. Mind you, they're still likely to get another 1 before Brady/Bellichek retire.

Wtf could you be more 18-1?

when the hell does almost undefeated count?

No one goes around saying. I ALMOST got pussy

OR I almost got rich.

ITT: I turn the clock to January 31, 2000. The start of the greatest dynasty in the history of the NFL. Or, that's what they said.

You mean before Cassel/Bellichick retires I predict that in this offseason the Brett Favre saga will be repeated but with Tom Brady instead.

Unfair, friend. The Rams got their first 'bowl but then failed to get another. The Pats got three and two back-to-back.

>>489310
I'm just saying that after the Rams won in 1999 (and then when they were in the Super Bowl two years later) people were calling them the next dynasty, not the Patriots. The Patriots bullshit didn't really start until after they won their second one.

Fixed.

Some teams are good for a decade. But the Raiders... the Raiders are the Team of the Decades.

I do think Bellichek is the best coach of all time, but the Pats never trounced a Superbowl opponent like Cowboys, Packers, 49ers used to do.
