Nets have a decent chance if they make some good draft choices, and that's something they aren't necessarily bad at. They were the ones who drafted Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson in consecutive years who ended up not being busts. They're president is draft expert Rod Thorn who is known for drafting Jordan.
They have a young leader in Devin Harris, and if they can be smart in this draft and the free agency, they can trim the fat (which theres a lot of on the nets) and be a top contender in the east. They started failing when they a got a new owner in Bruce Ratner. He refused to resign Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles who were staple players in the Nets offense then.
