Sup /sp/

I live in Tampa but I was born in Boston and am a huge Red Sox fan...

I went to the Rays-Sox game yesterday, cheering for the Sox.

Anyways, I got good seats but only to sit right behind a guy wearing an "LOL 18-1" shirt that I had to look at all night and sitting next to a drunk Rays fan.

Of Course, the Rays won after the Sox just couldn't get it in done in the 9th, then I had to run half a mile in the rain to my truck.

Is this awesome, Y/N?

The Trop is the current ground-zero of bandwagon fans.

They're getting three times the average crowd, just because the Rays are currently winning. When they eventually fall back behind, they'll all disappear.

honestly,

if a team makes it to the halfway point,

not a fluke.

and thats not to say that most of the rays fans arent bandwagoners, but dont discount the few that arent.

OP here,

There are TONS of bandwagon fans here, trust me. Before this year whenever I'd talk about baseball everyone would say "Baseball is fucking gay, everyone is a pussy" now whenever i talk about baseball everyone has always been a Rays fan since birth.

The Devil Ray is still their symbol(They actually have a Devil Ray on their uniform sleeve), they just changed the name because everyone tamp would call them the Rays.

Can just get over the fact that a team that's not in NY is giving BAAAAAAAAAAWston a run for their money. Can't we be happy for them.

I'm just glad ESPN stopped fellating Tiger enough to talk about baseball.

OP here, I'm happy for them, I never really disliked them..

I'm mostly happy that the Yankees aren't in 1st, much rather have the Rays then the Yanks
