Do you consider Poker a sport?

No.

OP here. I do too, but I think I might have to agree. There's really no effort involved aside from head work.

It's like calling Chess a sport.

No, it is not a sport.

But if Golf is considered a sport, then Poker should be too.

Yeah, but, in Golf if you do your stroke the wrong you can injure yourself. I've never played, but I'm fairly certain I'd fall down and rive in pain if I twisted myself the wrong way like that. I've also got serious nerve damage in my back, but that's beside the point.

In Poker, you sit there and play cards. The worst thing that can happen to you is you get a headache.

Writing dissertations is a sport just like poker is a sport.

Do some coke or drink red bulls.

It's really not that bad.

I've played cards and craps easily that long.

The problem here is that it's accepted that auto racing is a sport. That's why it's called "motorsports."

Stimulants = diuretic/laxative. It takes ten minutes at least to leave the Amazon Room and take a piss. Yes, you get a break every three hours but that's a long time to hold it in.

Of course, at least one player is caught pissing himself every year anyway.

Instead of jus a "sport" like every other sport?

Congratulations, poker shall now be referred to as laminatedpapersports to make sure no one confuses it with anything that takes athleticism.
