I'll just leave this here.

1. Southern Miss > UAB. UAB has never beaten Southern Miss.

2. Tulsa > Arkansas Tulsa's offense rapes Arkansas. Butthurt SEC fans BAAAAWWW

3. LSU > Tulane. Green Wave doesn't have a chance unfortunately.

4. Rice > UTEP. Both teams combine for over 80 points.

5. ECU > UCF. ECU goes on to get dominated by Tulsa in the CUSA championship game.

Southern Miss fan here. I think you may be getting laid tonight. UAB has a good quarterback and Southern Miss has a habit of making terrible quarterbacks look like heisman trophy winners with All-American receivers.

This may be Southern Miss' homecoming and UAB may have never beaten Southern Miss but I think that ends today.

We are TERRIBLE on defense this year. If we score 40, you will score 45. We have forgotten how to win a game.

SEC fans are NOT going to BAWWW if Tulsa beats Arkansas. I'm an SEC fan and I'm pulling so hard for Tulsa today. I want to see them in a BCS bowl. Their extremely athletic offense is so fun to watch. I have never seen better athletes on a football team.
>> Anonymous
>>443954
Yes, because GOD FORBID that a person pull for a college that their parents may have gone to or is in their state. The NFL doesn't have too many teams in the south except for Florida, but I really don't see any reason why it's despicable to pull for a college that you don't attend.
>> Anonymous
>>443980
It isn't, I have said it a billion times that it is consistency that is important, not geography. If your teams colors run in your veins it shouldn't matter if you are half a country away. /sp/ will now disagree, but that's life on 4chan for you.
>> Anonymous
>>443984
Well most these posters are huge NFL dickasses anyways because they have a great pro team in the vicinity and shitty college football. I go to a FCS school but I pull for Georgia Tech, Alabama, and Auburn (yes they suck this year) since I grew up surrounded family that were big fans of these teams.
>> Anonymous
>>443980

It just pisses me off to see people who, for example, went to Louisiana Tech go all out for LSU, when LSU is taking all the good recruits in the state and generally ensuring that LA Tech will never be anything but a second class citizen.
>> Anonymous
>>443995
Hey I feel the same exact way. I go to Georgia Southern, the most winningest FCS football team in history, though we haven't done so well the past 4 years. I see so many pieces of shit with UGA attire on everyday around campus. Now it's not so much that you like the best football school in the state, but if you completely ignore the great football tradition at your own school because they aren't the big name around the state then just fucking transfer or stop wearing that shit.

And their argument is usually something like. . .

HURRRRR LSU IS IN DA SEC AND BECUZ IT S DA SEC LSU IS DA BEST TEEM CUZ LSU SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC LSU DURRRR.
>> Anonymous
>>443999
their argument would probably be that lsu has at least a share of two national championships in the last decade.
>> Anonymous
>>443998

I feel you on that one. I was born into an Ole Miss family and pulled for them my whole life, but when I went to college and graduated from Southern Miss, I became a huge fan and discovered a rich football tradition (well until recent years) that my family had never told me about. Today, I have a love/hate feeling for Ole Miss.

I also discovered that Ole Miss and Mississippi State quit playing Southern Miss years ago after getting their asses whipped.

Pretty much, they were all about playing us when they were winning but when the tide turned, they took their ball and went home.

Anyway, when I was at school at Southern Miss it made me sick to see lots of students wearing shirts and hats of other (mainly SEC) schools. The student government pretty much organized a T-shirt burn every year where you would exchange, let's say, an LSU shirt for a Southern Miss one and they would burn the LSU one in a huge fire the night before a game.

It somewhat worked, you saw a lot more black and gold and a lot less other colors after that campaign.

Even after being beaten by two unranked teams last year.

More proof that the BCS system without a playoff is complete bullshit.

Sorry, but after living in Baton Rouge, I have discovered that 98% of LSU fans are the dumbest, most obnoxious (yet completely ignorant of all things football) fans in the world. 98% of them have never even set foot in a classroom there and couldn't even make it into a Junior College. They are also nowhere to be found when LSU is not having a good year. They just emerge from their festering shit-hole swamps when the bandwagon rolls around.

Anyway, back to CUSA discussion.

Was anyone else surprised that Marshall handled Houston so easily the other night?
>> Anonymous
>>444031
no, kentucky was ranked in the top 20 and they lost to an arkansas team that was carried by an incredible performance from darren mcfadden.

and no one is arguing that the bcs is not inferior to a playoff system, but that's not relevant. i only even said anything because you were blasting the SEC like everyone else on /sp/ because it's popular to do so.

you're right, lsu fans in general are fair-weather ignorant retards, but considering you were wrong about both teams they lost to, you should probably refrain from calling others ignorant.

He was only wrong about one team, incredible performance by McFadden or not Arkansas was still unranked.
>> Anonymous
>>444114
nitpicking bs, his point in saying both teams were unranked was to undermine lsu's performance, illustrating that they lost to bad teams. arkansas was unranked, but mcfadden exploded that night, and the game arkansas played that night was equal to that of a top 25 team.

SEC homerism has recently grown to the point of fucktardery. Gj on your national championships against a shitfuck Big 10 team. That was then, this is now, big 12 beat the SEC ass so far this season and they will again in bowl season. I can't believe that SEC homers are still claiming their conference is the best because of their 'stellar defense' when lsu allows 50+ two weeks in a row, alabama scores 31 on georgia in one half and arkansas rolled over and let texas fuck them right up the ass. Open your eyes and let your tears flow cuz your conference sucks ass this season.

You can't judge the SEC when one SEC kills another, ala LSU in recent weeks.

Yeah, Arkansas is sucking big time this year, same for Auburn, that's what happens when you fire people for no reason, like the head coach and offensive coordinator. Speaking of which, it looks like Ole Miss may beat Auburn. Nutt is a good coach, he is doing some good things with shitty talent at Ole Miss, just like Steve Spurrier at South Carolina.

Because Oklahoma had the superior offense to TCU's defense. And TCU throttled BYU, who was like #7 or 8, by a couple of touchdowns as well.

There is little if any exaggeration in my post. You're just trying to defend your ridiculous assertion by claiming I am exaggerating.

Of course SEC fans are proud of their conference. The SEC has won 4 out of the 10 BCS national championships, and every time they had a representative in the NC game, they won.

With the way the BCS works, being in a traditionally very tough conference is not exactly rewarded. For example, every year USC has the inside track to the national championships and only don't get there because they blow it. So when the SEC takes one down, of course they hype up their conference, basically in an effort to promote themselves and get more respect from the BCS.

As for all the character arguments of SEC fans, whoever says this kind of shit is just a fucking drooler. Fans of every conference, every team, every sport, everything, are assholes and annoying. SEC fans have been the most vocal because for the past 10 years at least, their conference has been the best.

Please shut. the. fuck. up. already.

if our D can't force a turnover this half, I don't like our chances. Dick has been picked off quite a bit this year and is a generally bad QB, but we've let him get almost 300 yards in a half. The red zone d has been good, but they have to be getting worn out on these LONG Arkansas drives.
