Seattle upsets the Giants sans Plaxico. With two of their best recievers back, the Seahawks finally wake up.

Washington barely beats Philly, even without Springs at corner. Absence won't mean much since Springs is better against big recievers, not quick ones like DeSean Jackson.

Denver gets their act together (atleast a little) on defense and continues to put up big points on offense. Wins in a shootout.

Does thread even stay alive until sunday?

Also I forget everyone except those dam tripfags are anonymous seems to negate the fact you show everyone your picks is to gloat later.

I like brackets better for the winner.

Titans @ [Ravens]
Falcons @ [Green Bay]
Chiefs @ [Panthers]
[Chargers] @ Dolphins
Washington @ [Eagles]
[Seattle] @ Giants (upset of the week)
Colts @ [Texans]
[Bears] @ Lions
Buccs @ [Broncos]
[Bills] @ Cardinals
Bengals @ [Cowboys] (I'll be at the game)
Patriots @ [49ers]
Steelers @ [Jaguars]
Vikings @ [Saints]

My reasoning behind the upset win of Seattle over the New York, is that Seattle is getting both Engram and Branch back. Granted, New York has a nice defense, but I think Seattle gets their offense back in sync and working. Also, the Giants will miss Burress this game.

I find it amusing that nobody has picked Pittsburgh to win yet. Steelersfags must be at work or asleep.

You taking the 49s over the Pats?

SF is retiring Steve Young's jersey at the game. They've never lost a game at home when retiring a hall of famer's number.

I pretty much agree with the OP on his picks actually.

Except for Cincinnati over Dallas, amirite

Well I'm not putting my money on Cinci but that's where my heart is betting.

If you don't think Cincy can cover minus-fucking-seventeen at Dallas, I think you're beyond help.

Protip: There's no way Marion Barber and Julius Jones aren't getting 20 touches each.

Notes:
Ravens will upset titans, ray lewis will break someones shoulder again.
Greenbay will win if Rodgers plays, end of story.
SF will upset pats in a close game.
Jags will get a couple of picks off rothlisberger.

This thread looks good enough. My picture color wont match, but I'm too fucking lazy to change it.

A disapponting 7-6 last week, 38-22 on the season.

SUN, OCT 5
Kansas City at [Carolina]
[Chicago] at Detroit
Atlanta at [Green Bay]
[San Diego] at Miami
Seattle at [NY Giants]
Washington at [Philadelphia]
[Tennessee] at Baltimore
[Indianapolis] at Houston
Tampa Bay at [Denver]
[Buffalo] at Arizona
[New England] at San Francisco
Cincinnati at [Dallas]
Pittsburgh at [Jacksonville]

MON, OCT 6
[Minnesota] at New Orleans

This is the format I always use, and asterisks look ugly as hell.
>> Anonymous
So San Diego is a lock to win in Miami this weekend? Are you sure their crappy defense will be OK?

Green Bay will win if Rodgers plays.
I don't see Seattle upsetting the Giants, Burrass is overrated, and the NYG offense has plenty of other options (Toomer, Hixon, etc.)

I'm banking on the Vikes entering desperate mode and pull a win out of their ass. If not, I'll probably have lost the pool.

Miami shocked NE, I can see them beating the Chargers.

As a Dolphin fan, I can guarantee it not happening. LT and Rivers > Morris and Cassel. Some people seem intent on picking them though, I'll take the free win.

I'll be watching and rooting though.

Haha I didn't even realized I'm the only one to pick Pittsburgh, I guess I briefly forgot about their running back woes there

But I'll stand by my pick, I don't think Jacksonville can run very well either with their o-line so fucked up (they ran against Indy but the Steelers defense is not the Bob Sanders-less Colts defense). If it comes down to a passing duel, Pittsburgh has the better QB and better receivers.
