This is a Portland Trailblazer thread. Love em' hate em' this is the place to discuss them.I think Portland is pretty solid this year, they've got a lot of new guys that are coming into their prime. I think Brandon Roy is going to be a big name in the NBA because the dude is solid. Also, Rudy Fernandez, dude can sink 3's like nobody's business. We can't forget the rest of them they got plenty of awesome players, Travis Outlaw, LaMarcus Aldridge, Greg Oden(we'll see!)The only thing I think that the Blazer's need is Maurce Cheeks. Sad day in Portland when he was fired.
Brandon Roy is already a big name in the NBA, welcome to the bandwagon
>>481875I know he's pretty popular, and it's not a bandwagon thing, I've been watching Portland for many, many years. When I said big name I was more thinking like, potential hall of famer, or huge. not just a well known name
Guess there's no Portland fans/haters on tonight. :|
i miss the days when they had Sheed and everyone called them the "JailBlazers."good times...
I like the team but it'll take them a few years. I tried watching that game against the Lakers and it's clear they can't compete with the stronger teams right now but I think maybe next season or the following they can go deep in the playoffs. They definitely have all the ingredients though.
slaughtered my Kings tonight.I was even at the game. But we don't have Kevin Martin or Francisco so if you don't beat us there's something wrong with you.
>>481892Eh, thats the thing about Portland. One night they will lose to the worst team in the NBA... the next they crush the best.Sucks for gambling, but thats true for all Oregon teams it seems like.. College football, ducks/beavers are the same way.I can still never forget the time they lost the LA for west. 0-3 came back 3-3 up by 24 points going into the 4th quarter and LA went on to some incredible run unanswered by Portland and we lost. and LA went on to win in the finals.
>>481900what a beautiful day that was....
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Blake, Outlaw, Sergio, Batum, Bayless, and Webster will be back in a few weeks. Rip City is back!
>>481900The Blazers weren't down 0-3 in that series, you're thinking of the Portland-Dallas series in 2002-2003 I think. Also, I think the lead was fifteen in the fourth for the Portland-LA series.
>>482000I was talking 99-2000. when Portland came back from 0-3 to 3-3 to loss. against LA.
