You know what I was just thinking about? There is no sport with as much strategy and complexity in it as American football. Sure, basketball has set plays such as the pick-and-roll, and baseball has specific line-ups, and soccer, well... all sports have a ridiculous amount of strategy involved when it comes to building your team. But when it comes to the game, there is nothing as complex as an American football gameplan and plays during the game. I think even Eurofags can attest to this, and those that won't, are probably unfamiliar with terms such as "triple option", "46 defense", "flexbone", and (yeah I'm gonna go there) "Wildcat offense".

Well as a Eurofag, I'd agree... but then again, I'm a fan of the sport anyway.

Unless you're this guy that is. In which case the strategy goes:

1st Down. Run it up the middle
2nd Down. Run it up the middle
3rd Down. Try to chuck it deep to Bernard Berrian
4th Down. Punt

TL;DR A Vikes fan RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES.

if by strategy you mean have a bunch of niggers wearing pads bump into each other for two seconds before a timeout, sure

Logical trolling, fun fun. Inb4eurofag soccer shirtstorm and "omg 5 seconds of play and 1 minutes breaks!"

Fuck. I lost the game already?

Sorry if anything past a throw in is a little too complicated for you to understand.
Oh and soccer. 90 minutes? Time it next time you watch a game. Stop the watch every free kick, throw in, goal kick, fake injury etc. I'd be surprised if you ever get more than 50 minutes of primadonna homos actually kicking the ball around.

Yes, there's more strategy in American Football than other sports. That doesn't mean it's better, though, if that's what you're getting at.

soccer is gay and you are gay if you've ever watched it. Even catching a glimpse of it will make you turn. As for me, I've only heard about it through books and legend.

Those count for stops as well. Just because the clock is running doesn't mean it's 'action'

Even as an association football fan with merely a skeleton of knowledge about American football I know this to be true. Yet still, a shitstorm begins.

Oh /sp/, how lovely you are.

Did you really expect anything less?

More like:

1st Down. Run it up the middle
2nd Down. Run it up the middle
3rd Down. Throw a pick

That's why the clock runs over 90, dipshit. Try knowing something about a sport before you act like an expert.

soccer: fun to play
football: fun to watch

Stoppage time is a sham. Formula goes: pick random number between 2-5 minutes

as opposed to the 3-4 minutes of playing per game of americaball?
>> Anonymous
>>476064
Actually, after the 90 minutes there's what's called "stoppage time" and they add on however much time was wasted through such instances

As a 'soccer' fan, I have to agree with you. But in fairness the sport is 90% tactical, so you'd expect it to be more strategic than any other.
Not looking for flamewar, just an opinion, but I prefer soccer for being less stop-start and more flowing.
