What has been your worst injury during any sport?

I can count many concussions, and a number of sprained ankles as in the picture all through skateboarding which happened a few days ago. I think i can count 8 different colours on my leg/foot.

just wondering if my weak ankles are anything compared to the rest of /sp/ injurys

I got lucky. The worst that happened to me during a game was having my hand stepped on while reaching down to barehand a ground ball my senior year. Other than that I can't really think of anything else apart from fucking my knee up during off-season workouts.

1st of all, skateboarding =/= sport

but to answer your question, I developed plantar fasciitis from playing basketball everyday sophomore year of high school. I have flat feet and it causes me to put too much stress on my heel when I run, and let me tell you that plantar fasciitis is no fucking joke, it hurts like hell. It's like someone is holding a branding iron to your heel all day long. The pain caused me to quit basketball and play only golf for the next two years. It still hurts after I walk 18 holes.

lots of physical exercise especially because you gotta run away from people trying to fuck you up most of the time

Sophomore year. Regional wrestling finals. 103#. Consolation semi-finals.

My opponent scrambles to a standing position, and I lock hands around his waist, drop my hips and attempt to lift him to trip him back to the mat.

My left leg buckles inward, and back a little. I don't notice it much right away, and continue wrestling. Period ends, take a short break. Knee suddenly KILLS. Struggle through remaining period, and end up losing match 4-2. Miss trip to state finals.

Doctors check it out the next week, schedule knee surgery for July (tournament was in late February). End up wearing a knee brace that keeps my leg essentially straight as a board for 4 months, because thats the only way it doesn't really bother me.

Surgery comes and goes, bed-rest for three days, crutches for three weeks, physical therapy for three months. (Lots of threes, in hindsight). End up giving up HS football in favor of Cross Country (less potential for re-injury, cared more about wrestling anyway).

Worst part? Found out after the surgery that had we told the doctors that I was an in-season athlete, I would have been in and out of surgery within 48 hours of my first doctor's appointment.

I've always had persistent hamstring and hip flexor strains, possibly slight tears when I ran track in HS. But most common were ankle sprains when I played basketball, ie required R.I.C.E. treatment, ointment and walking aids. The worst one I had was about 2 months ago where I thought I had finally broken it (was only a severe sprain).

In football i:

-Broke every one of my fingers, and thumbs for you medfags.
-I dislocated the top knuckle of my middle finger on my right hand while sacking a quarterback. The qb fumbled, and one of his linemen tried diving for the ball while my hand was pushing up off the guy's facemask. Pop goes the knuckle. Pretty sweet not having any feeling in it, though, because of breaking them.
-I had 7 clinical concussions, and probably a few I didn't report, from grades 4-12. About walked on to the University of Nebraska-Omaha football team as a lineman, but was diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome or, as the doctor put it, 'That thing Troy Aikman has'.
-My last concussion was when I was playing TE for the first time, my dream position, dove into the endzone for a pass, and was ear-holed by a safety. Coaches thought I had died. I was rushed off the field in an ambulance and woke up around 2:00AM.

tl;dr: fingers and concussions.

Cool story, bro.

lol

Anyway, mine was playing baseball in high school, I was up at bat and the fucking pitcher threw the ball, and I couldn't get away fast enough. The ball ended up pegging me in the side of my rib cage as I turned away. I trotted half way up to first base when I collapsed on the ground. I went to the hospital and found out I had 2 broken ribs.

You have demonstrated that skateboarding is a physical activity

Anyways: sprained ankles, dislocated fingers, concussions, shin splints; mostly from football

I've dislocated my right shoulder twice. Once from a play at the plate in 11th grade and once in my Jeet Kune Do class. I've broken a couple of fingers. Sprained my right ankle at least 10 times since the age of 5. Two concussions and both wrists and ankles click whenever I circle them.

Squashfag here. I must've sprained my ankles more than I can count.
Tore my achilles tendon sprinting for a ball, that fucked me up good, 4 months of rest and special exercises.
And some fag smashed my face in with a racket during a tournament, carbon frame first. Had dents in my forehead for weeks.

Got kicked in the face in real football not handball, needed 65 stitches and then the stupid cunt fell on my wrist and broke it.
