Unless it's Wild Card vs. division winner, which makes it entirely possible to hit the NFC South.
The two top teams who win their divisions get a bye in Wild Card Weekend, and the other two division winners get a Wild Card team. Here's how it could shape up, for example:
NFC East: Dallas Cowboys, 13-3 NFC South: New Orleans Saints, 8-8 NFC North: Green Bay Packers, 11-5 NFC West: Seattle Seahawks, 10-6 Wild Card: New York Giants, 12-4 Wild Card: Arizona Cardinals, 10-6
In this case, the Cowboys and Packers would bet a bye in the "first week" of the playoffs, and of the remaining teams, the division winner with the better record would face the Wild Card team with the lesser record (in this case, Seahawks vs. Cardinals [lol whoops!]), and the other two teams would face off by default (Saints vs. giants). The division winner is given home field advantage by virtue of winning their division.
I'm not sure how it works if a division winner faces off vs. a Wild Card team from their same division, but like I said: if the Cardinals can get the NFC South winner in the Wild Card round, they can get past that round and go into the proper Playoffs.
