I don't think I've ever cried over a sporting event, but those that came the closest...

- 2008 Super Bowl, The Escape (exacerbated because EVERYONE ON THE PLANET AND THEIR MOTHER knew the end zone corner route to Burress was coming and New England STILL couldn't stop it).
- 2006 NLCS, Adam Wainwright's curveball of death to Carlos Beltran. One of my junior year suitemates made me a closet Metsfag and watching that pitch was like a goddamn dagger, especially after Endy Chavez' crazyass catch.
- 2005 Eastern Conference first round when Reggie Miller flopped the Celtics out of the playoffs.
- 2004 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals when the Bruins blew a 3-1 lead over the Canadiens.
- 2003 ALCS, Game 7, 12th inning, Aaron Boone. Fucking A.

Yeah, but then ANY part of your skate in the crease was illegal. Thats a little over the top. As long as it isn't directly interfering with the Goaltender then I don't see any reason that rule shouldn't have been squashed. Still, you have a point.

The one above, because we it summed up the whole season.

Also, winning the tampa game could of gave us momentum to beat out the bucs to get into the playoffs.

Agreed. Game 162 of '07 was merely anticlimactic compared to the rapid goddamn emotional rollercoaster of Game 7 '06. Endy's catch to Yadier Molina's dong off of Heliman to the 9th inning rally to Beltran striking out looking.

indeed.
The Bengals went to a superbowl.
The Bills went to 5
But neither they, nor the Seahawks have won any.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys have won how many? 5? oh yes, thats right.
Just because the Seahawks were in 1 superbowl doesnt reserve them a spot as one of the greatest teams in history.
Try winning one, that will do it.
Oh wait, thats right, you cant. You lose to a team with a big doofus as a QB that shouldnt have even been in the SB.
Enjoy your single Superbowl Appearance, cuz you wont get another.

The second play from scrimmage in our first playoff game in sixteen years, which we were hosting...

It was then that I knew that god had a sick sense of humor. The disbelief that on the same play where we get a fucking sixty yard completion, Carson gets assraped and on the next play Jon Kan't-thro is running the offense.

For Cincinnati Bengals fans everywhere, this was the single most BAWWWWWWWWWW moment in franchise history. Not even our two Super Bowl loses could compare the to amount of ZOMGWTF that this produced.

Also, in before Putzburgh Stoolers fans running their mouths. Don't ask like you fucks weren't skurred when Big Ben ate it after falling off of his skooter and brain'd his damage.

Fellow Bengals fan here, I couldn't agree with this more. It was so bad...they made an awesome play (Chad Johnson caught it, what, 50 yards down field?), then the camera went back to Carson...and my heart sank.

And I'll be honest, I'm not too optimistic about the Bengals' future either...

Yeah, I think that we are on the downswing as well. Shit sucks. Oh well. I guess its Clevelands turn now.

Ironically, Chris Henry, who caught that long pass from Palmer, was hurt on the same damn play.

Surely the most fucked up moment ever in the history of Cincinnati Bengals football. Even more so than the Ickey Shuffle, and Odell Thurman.
