Rate and discuss your team draft so far:

Round 1: Matt Ryan - I say we shouldve went Dorsey here and picked up either Henne or Brohm later, but oh well.

Round 1: Sam Baker - O-line fucking sucks thats why we should not have drafted Ryan. But atleast we got him to give Turner and Ryan some help.

Round 2: Curtis Lofton - We need help everywhere. LB is a need. He should be beastly. He was everywhere at Oklahoma.

Round 2: John Carlson - Good pick, we needed a good TE.

OMG anime nerd posting in sports board!

Round 1: Trade!

Round 2: Trade again!

DT Trevor Laws - Somewhat of a surprise. Definitely won't start over Brunkley or Patterson but will compete to be in a rotation with LaJuan Ramsey and Montae Reager. Improves depth on DLine.

WR DeSean Jackson - Holy shit, the Iggles have a return man! Probably only a 20-30 catch guy for his first couple of seasons but will be a deep threat.

Overall a 7/10 in talent and a 9/10 when you add the fact that they got Carolina's first next season. I can't wait to root against the Panthers this year.

Well, I am an anime nerd posting here too. :P

I think the Broncos did pretty decent in the Draft this year.

1st (12) Ryan Clady - Good OT that should help protect cutler, and fits Denver's scheme really well.

2nd (42) Eddie Royal - Decent WR who has some explosive speed, great return man.

I'm surprised the Iggles traded away a lot of those picks, but two first rounders is a good thing.

Round 1 - Lawrence Jackson DE USC: Meh
Round 2 - John Carlson TE Notre Dame: I like this pick, but we didn't need to give up our 3rd round pick to make it.

5/10 so far, should be interesting to see where it goes from here

1st round: Kentwan Balmer, NT, UNC-He better be able to take on 2 blockers as the NT in our 3-4 defense. I've never seen him play.

2nd round: Chilo Rachal, OG, USC- I didn't like this pick that much when we could have had Quentin Groves or even Desean Jackson, but I think he will be a decent player.

Brohm was such a terrible pick for the Packers.

>>77670
Well obviously Rodgers sucks if they're picking a QB this early in the draft. So they need a QB.
>> Anonymous
>>77670
Brohm ran a pro-style west coast offense in college, he is now in a system that is the epitome of the present day west coast, the packers were always going to use that pick on an offensive player, why not experiment with another young quarterback?

Because they haven't given Rodgers a chance.

i think we got two great players that fell lower than alot of people imagined, but we still need to get some O line or ben is going to get sacked 40 times again
>> Kilgamayan !2BklmILFiE
LB and CB, exactly what we needed. Whether or not they pan out is left to be seen, of course, but at least this is the right direction, and Belicheck tends to know what he's doing when drafting.

i really like the OJ mayo pick for the pats, it really surprised a lot of people, but the more you think about it, the more it makes sense, coach b didnt want to choose from a group of mediocre cbs in the first round, so instead of trying to find the nugget in a pile of shit, he sidestepped the decision and picked the 2nd, or maybe best linebacker in a deep corps at the position, i know the head coach had a lot more to do with the decision than the gm

Toronto Billsfag reporting in!

RD 1: McCelvin. We haven't really been pushing the defensive drafting in recent years, even though the D for the Bills is shitty as all hell. I'm glad to see they've actually gotten a decent Defender in the first round :D

RD 2: Avery. Damn good choice, we needed someone to take all the fucking strain off of Lee Evans. A speedy reciever like him should let Trent get more choices when he's throwing.

Overall, 9/10. The Bills are a pretty damn good drafting team. Now, if only they could win once or twice.

Giants -

Really the only position we needed to fill was one of our Safety spots as we aquired Sammy Knight to fill the other.

Round 1 - Kenny Phillips S Miami - filled really the only position we needed, great pick

Round 2 - Terrell Thomas CB USC - our #1 CB, Sam Madison, is getting old and is probably going to return soon, and we need a better return man than RW McQuarters. Another great pick.

10/10 right now IMO

Uh dood they picked Hardy second. And it can be argued that the Bills D had such poor results last year because the offense couldn't stay on the field.

Chiefs

1.) Glenn Dorsey (best defensive player in draft)
2.) Brandon Albert (got that smart dominating OL we needed.
3.) Brandon Flowers (small guy, but a guy I think will have a good career.)

Nobody has done better so far.

Round 1) I have no clue how good this guy is, but at least I know that if he's going in the 1st, he's probably good, and we needed someone good on defense.

Round 2) I was disappointed that they didn't pick Deshaun Jackson...at first. And then I saw that guy jumping over another. O_O And now I'm happy.

Dallas Cowboys

Round 1: Felix Jones (RB)- Great agility and quickness. Had an impressive amount of yardage as a secondary back to McFadden. Awesome return capabilities. Has great hands. Should probably work on blitz pickup. Would be a great compliment to Barber and a change of pace. Whether he'll turn out to be better than Mendenhall is still out for debate, but he definitely gives Barber a complimentary style to take advantage of. Overall B+

Round 1: Mike Jenkins (CB)- Was rated as the second best corner and projected as a top 10 pick by many experts. We got him at the 25th pick so it was definitely a steal by NFL draft standards. Great upside. Compared by many to Asante Samuel. Good hands, Decent size, 4.4 speed. Overall A+

Round 2: Martellus Bennett (TE)- Projected by many to be the best TE in the draft. Great size and speed combination. Decent hands. Could be a better blocker all around. Fills a hole that we needed since we traded away second round bust Anthony Fasano. Tremendous upside. Not a troublemaker, which is a plus nowadays in the league. Can run routes effectively.
Overall A-

Overall I think we did fairly well on the first day. We still have to address wide receiver either through the draft or trade. It made sense we didn't rush and get one right away in the first round, for all the wideouts had issues that made them "iffy". We addressed all of our impact needs on the first day with stud talents. We couldn't have asked for a better first day as cowboys fans.

yeah drafting oj mayo was a great pick. they weren't very deep at the shooting guard position. it might upset any NBA teams that had their eye on him, but belichick knows best, right?

1st Pick(22) Felix Jones - Well i was watching the draft with a Carolina fan, and he was nuts that they drafted a RB, and that they didn't draft Mendenhall. So I spent about an hour watching draft picks go by, hoping he would drop to us, and he did, and we took Felix Jones. Now don't get me wrong Felix Jones could be a great pick, but I feel that everyone had mendenhall as the #2 RB in the draft, and a top 15 pick. The "experts" said, well Mendenhall is to much like Marion Barber. And I say, whats wrong with having 2 Marion Barbers on your team? So I will rate this pick a 6/10, only because Mendenhall fell to us, and we let him go by. If he was not on the board I would say 8/10.

2nd Pick(25) Mike Jenkins- I really liked this pick. Going into the draft I actually had Mike Jenkins as my #2 overall corner, so him falling this late in the draft shocked me. To be honest with you I kinda thought we should have taken him at 22, then at 28 I think Felix Jones would have been there for us, and we wouldn't have to trade to draft ahead of Houston, or SD. What remains to be seen is who knows if Pacman will ever play a down again, so this gives us some depth without Pacman. let's be honest here, Terence Newmans Contract year is coming up, and I don't think we'll be able to pay him what he deserves, love the kid. But this year we will have Newman,Henry,Jenkins, and maybe pacman. So one of your biggest weakness goes to be one of our biggest strength. 10/10

3rd Pick(61) Martellus Bennett- Wow so we trade Anthony Fasano , a 2nd round pick to the dolphins for a 4th rounder + we send them a starting LB, and what do we do, we draft another 2nd round TE. This kid will get in on special teams, and 2 TE packages, and will be able to give Jason Witten a spot break when he gets winded. TBH I really don't to much about the kid, I hear hes a good blocker, which is what we need in a 2nd TE. I do feel we could have drafted TE much later in the draft, I will give this pick 5/10.

Overall a decent draft, love the CB pick, love getting an explosive RB, even if it was the wrong RB, and who knows what the TE could turn into.

I'll go 6.5/10 for The Cowboys this year

6/10. I like the CB pick, dunno who Jordy Nelson is but more offensive weapons are nice... but I dunno about the Brohm pick. It's not going to do good things for Aaron Rodgers' development, I suspect.

I think if we get Mendenhall, and do something else with the second round pick, not to sure what, just didn't feel TE was worth taking there, it would have been much higher.

Howerver it was a typo and meant to be 7.5, I think it was a good draft, don't get me wrong, just don't think it was a great draft
