>The Boston Globe confirms ESPN's Peter Gammons' report that the Braves have had talks with the Red Sox regarding Mark Teixeira.

THE RED SOX COULD HAVE HAD TEIXERIA AND ALL THEY HAD TO GIVE UP WAS YOUKILIS AND THEY DECLINED IT. WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING IDIOTS.

Idiots for not trading a extremely good First Basemen and a flamethrowing reliever for a half season rental? Not to mention Youkilis is also a very cheap player.

BAWWWWWWWWWWWW CRY MORE SOXFAG.

YOU WON'T GET TEIXERIA AND YOU WILL LOSE THE DIVISION TO THE YANKEES.

Because trading good players/prospects for a player you don't even need means you will lose the division. Last time I checked, Youkilis was the starting first baseman for the AL All Star Team. Where is Teixeria? Not starting, thats where. Teixeria is a good player, no doubt about that. The Red Sox just don't need him. Also, Yankees will not win the division. Outside of Joba pitching ok, and Moose, their rotation is complete shit. And so is the bullpen (Rivera excluded. He's fucking good).

Kevin Youkilis has a batting average forty points higher and only has 2 less home runs.

Fuck that, why should the Sox trade one of the best first basemen playing right now for a guy who'll play for half-a-season before running off to Baltimore?

>half-a-season before running off to the Yankees or Mets.

Fix'd.

Yes... WHIP means nothing if you still don't give up runs. It makes the game scary to watch, but if you give up no runs, it doesn't matter how many times you load the bases. The Worst thing about him is his pitch count, but it was must worse in Japan, and hes the type of guy who will be 110+ in every game.

Red Sox won't get him.

ESPN always makes the East Coast teams seem more in it than they actually are. Whenever there is a trade rumor, it's followed by: "I hear the Yankees are interested in this guy."
