Clutch Jake Delhomme is back! What does /sp/ think of the Panthers this year?
>> Anonymous
I honestly think they have a chance for a Super Bowl run, especially in the NFC. I said this before the upset of the Chargers, whether you believe me or not is up to you.

Panthers have never been terribly bad, with Delhomme back at 100% they are now dangerously good.

solid team in a solid division. should be interesting to watch
>> Anonymous
Well...

Somebody has to win the NFC South.

non-Panthers fan in Charlotte

They are a pretty good team. They could easily make the playoffs in a weird division. They ain't going to shock the world or anything.
>> Anonymous
They did just beat their most difficult opponent of the regular season. 16-0
>> Anonymous
They beat the hardest team in thier schedule without thier best player. I guess they're gonna be good this year

Oh my gosh, those stripes actually go all the way around the arm - unlike every other team in NFL or NCAA. I suddenly have a newfound respect for the Carolina Panthers. I also don't mind the turquoise-ish color as much as I should. Although their helmet stripes confuse me. They are arcing and don't even go all the way to the back of the helmet. Why not just have a full stripe?

You certainly are from the South.

The difference is the world wouldn't be steadfastly against them in this 18-1. I would almost hope it happens and they see how a classy team can still garner support.

Then all their BAWWWWW about how we only hate their team because they are successful would be totally invalidated.

18-1

Looked like shit against the bolts but luckily the bolts looked like the panthers lulzululululz

Steve Smith is not classy.
>> Anonymous
Well put it this way, bigger impact - Steve Smith coming back or Deuce coming back? Saints won by 4 at home over a team projected to finish 3rd in thier division without thier second best Runningback, Panthers win by 2 on the road against a team projected to be Super Bowl champions that has only lost 1 home game in 2 years without their top reciever? Panthers will be vey good in thier division and conference
>> Anonymous
Saints will win division Carolina will wildcard
or vice versa
>> Anonymous
Panthers fan here, we'll find a way to choke.

I still hate Delhomme. Surprised he didn't suck vs the Chargers.

I'm cautiously optimistic to say the least
>> Anonymous
i think jake plummer is still available.
>> Ergot Nine !dLdqEqmO0Q
What a nasty pump fake at the end of that game. Should be a good season.
>> Anonymous
>>324677
why would you hate him? hes the best qb your team has had
>> Anonymous
He has 14 career game winning drives. 1 with the saints and 13 with the panthers. Thats about 2-3 a year counting just his years starting for the panthers. Took them to the Super Bowl with his arrival, will take them again this year and hopefully win it this time.
>> Anonymous
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, JAKE HAS PUMPFAKED SO HARD, I CRAPPED MY PANTS
>> Anonymous
its going to be a good year for the 704 :D
>> Anonymous
Feel free to root for the Panthers, but the NFC South may not go according to plan.

I think the Fox cameraman crapped his pants too after he realized Delhomme pumpfaked him too

Panthers "fans" have hated Delhomme for a couple years. It's going to be interesting to see some of them eat their words this year.

Funfact-Jake Delhomme's TD-INT ratio was 8-1 when he played last year.
>> Anonymous
Delhomme is a good QB, even last before getting tommy surgery they were 2-1.
>> Anonymous
>>325516
Because he only played a few games.
I think they will be good, playoff good, but now Superbowl good.
Delhomme has always been good in my option. He fucking took us to the SB. No QB in our short history did that. Fuck, not the guy who we had before him.
>> Anonymous
As a fellow Panthers fan and [south] Carolinian, I am disgusted at how many people had Chris Weinke jerseys and how many I still see out and about.
>> Anonymous
>>325527

He had 8 TD's before the surgery. He was going to put up stellar numbers. Here's to hoping he can do it, Jake is a good kid who deserves only the best.

And on that note Fuck jason campbell.
>> Sneak !!+y8MDiWrdyT
That so called "Tommy John" surgery was actually a secret procedure done by the Panthers organization to replace Delhomme's arm with a robot arm. He'll throw for 5600 yards and 62 TDs with 3 INTs this year.

yes we do.

I find it funny that Delhomme throws 41 fucking passes AFTER he does Tommy John Surgery when the team wants to be a running team. I find it funny that the Chargers only get 1 freaking sack against a tackle who has switched postion 3 times and another who is rookie, who switched postions coming out of college and isn't even known for pass blocking. I find it funny that the panthers won without thier best player on the field. I find it funny that Delhomme throw no interceptions against a team that led the league in turnovers forced a year ago. I ROFLMAO that the panthers won without Julius Peppers making even 1 tackle. What is this team?

I just realized this today, as well. Since my division is painful to watch (lolNFCWorst), I might just have to bandwagon this division.
>> Anonymous

You know you can enjoy the division without hopping a bandwagon. I enjoy watching other teams, but they are pushed to the side when my team is on.

>>327392
what are you complete losers arguing for? winning the NFC south is like winning the Sun Belt conference, it's not hard and nobody cares

18-1
Loses against the Bears then win every single game left in the year

op from :
>>324677

When Delhomme looks good, he's an impressive QB. When he's playing like shit, he will throw 4 INTs and get sacked 6 times. He can be good, I'm not saying he's bad but I'm not expecting much. Hoping for a surprise.

I mean, we're nicknamed the "Cardiac Cats" for a reason. They won't just win easily, they have to take fucking years off my life

I believe in his new bionic arm, you should too.
