I was so really to lol... but, maybe? Atlanta he failed and he fails in New York. Too early to judge though, have to see how well Rodgers does in the NFL.

Or the West Coast system is horrible/outdated and no one should run it. Ever.

tirico said as much last night. he doesn't know the offense = he gets picked (or almost picked) on the majority of his drives and loses the game.

Favre is a middle-of-the-road QB whose only claim to fame is sticking around long enough before going downhill to break a bunch of records.

OP here. The thing is, pretty much everyone has been "overrated" by someone prominent in the media. And they've been "underrated" as well. My thing about Favre is that he did well in GB when he was hitting all those slant patterns, and yeah he could air it out from time to time.

But the real stat that they mentioned on MNF is that Brett Favre has NEVER won a game when his team was down by 14 points or more.
Brady has.
Manning has.
Those two guys' teams don't play well without them.
Conversely, the Packers aren't doing too bad this year.
I think Brett's made a good career out of being a good, not great QB, in a good offensive system (along with a little bit of luck).
Maybe that shouldn't take away from his wins or add to his losses. I dunno. But I guess I just don't agree with all the dicksucking he gets from the likes of peter king, tony k, and the other mass media guys. Brett just doesn't deserve a cult. A real field general wouldn't want one anyway.

This is the correct way to look at Favre's career. The guy can be pretty reckless and I've seen him hurt his team almost as many times as I've seen him help his team. He's no Peyton Manning, that's for sure. Hell, he's no Tom Brady or Joe Montana or Dan Marino.

He's...solid. That's about it.

And that's when a QB is really called upon to be a QB; start tossing the ball around and marching downfield. Without doing any research, I would guess that in situations where Favre has been asked to come back from 14-point deficits he has thrown an inordinate amount of picks.
