>>471640 Trolling OP is wrong. It is NASCAR itself that has been ruining NASCAR for both its long-time AND recent fans. To keep it short for /sp/'s basically non-existent attention span for racing, NASCAR is guilty of hogging too many sponsors for itself (The Official Hemorrhoid Creme of NASCAR, etc.), poor rule changes, and that goddamn "Car of Templates." One other thing...
>>472300 This is correct because, with his success, every owner then wanted "the next Jeff Gordon." Thus, you got a bunch of bland, sponsor-friendly pretty boys on the track instead of the best driving talent. Guys like Junior Johnson (no relation), Cale Yarborough, and Buddy Baker would never get rides today because they don't have faces and voices for TV...but, I'd still take any of those old school guys over wastes like Jamie McFurfag (among many others) who isn't fit to lick the juice left over from one of Mark Martin's farts.
