as a sun devil with a degree (quite rare actually, in the world's ONLY party school #1 year after year for 30 of them years.) Losing to runnnin rebels generally make ME think that shitty sec school might beat us. they might even. however, just means they will lose every game in the sec.

as a devil, the fact that Stoops in no way will survive at U of A is moar important. Also USC is better than the best SEC or big 12 team. Oh wait, I went to Banting. In Canada. Lit my dorm room on fire.

don't make me laugh desertfag. Here at Wisconsin we don't even get to our seats til the end of the first quarter. We're way too busy drinking.
>> Anonymous
Why is Georgia horribly overrated?
Wouldn't the logical overrated team be ASU? After that UNLV game?

I mean, Georgia is a powerhouse right now. Are these the same people who call USC and Oklahoma overrated? Get the fuck over it. Why cant you come up with something better than, "We are gonna win cuz ur overratedd, lololol."

USC was overrated, beat the fuck out of osu.
Oklahoma overrated, beat the fuck out of Washington.
Georgia overrated last year, beat the shit out of Hawaii.

Nobody is overrated but West Virginia. They are the only team you can say was overrated with something to back it up.

>>346641
>Also USC is better than....

That's what they said last year, yet they lose two fucking games (one of which was STANFORD).
>> Anonymous
>>347358
USC only loses within its conference. To teams that play them every year and therefore know them inside and out. SO why is USC losing to conference rivals even close to losing to shit opponents outside the conference?
>> Anonymous
>>347362
BECAUSE STANFORD ONLY WENT 4-8 LAST YEAR LOSING TCU AND NOTRE DAME.
>> Anonymous
>>347339

I've never understood why this is something to be proud of.

Drink faster. Or bring it in. But being late to football is just retarded.
>> Anonymous

Conference rival. Rivals upset teams.

Losing to a conference rival is not close to losing to a shit non-conference team.
>> Anonymous
>>347368
Holy shit, that's a pathetic excuse. Losing to a rival? That rivalry is more lopsided than UGA-GT that's been dominated the past 7 years.
>> Anonymous
>>347371
Assholes, look.

Conference opponents are always playing you. They know you. They prepare for you. They know how to beat you.

The fact that USC goes out and dominates non-conference opponents shows how godly they are.

and btw, fag: GT is not in the same conference as Georgia, fucking idiot.
>> Anonymous
>>347376
It's more of a fucking rivalry than USC-Stanford, which by the way is missing from this giant wikipedia list (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NCAA_college_football_rivalry_games). They play each other every year, just like Stanford plays USC every year, so GT should be just as "prepared" as Stanford.

Ok, so let's say that you're right about this "how to play you" thing. There are two major points that you haven't addressed. USC gets the absolute cream of the crop when it comes to college football recruiting, whereas Stanford may get a few good players but they're more interested in athletes who have better GPAs. Also, USC was playing at home....

>>347383
dude, he will always be right. Conference opponents are tougher than non. Its a highly accepted theory among all college sports analysts.

So stop trying. All he has to say is "Standford is a conference opponent" and he wins the argument.

That's one of thousands of people who feel the same way. Quit trying to legitimize their loss to a shit team last year.

quit quoting blogs and trying to say it was the greatest upset in the world.

Just admit that Georgia-GT is not even a real rivalry.

It has a fucking history, books published on it, and a jesus christ long wiki article on it. I only mentioned that as a small comparison because someone claimed that USC-Stanford was a "rivalry" when that certainly didn't seem to be the case.

Yes, very easy to get into. The Arizona constitution mandates that the state provide a university education to any residents that wants one, and as affordably as possible. (lol 1912 libs) Until a couple years ago, that meant that instate tuition was about $1500/semester. It's probably doubled by now.

>>347343
Washington is probably the worst team in the country, and everybody knows that Hawaii only beat 2nd rate patsies--hell, they've been calling the BCS out for it ever since, so DOUBLE FAIL. OK and GA are expected to beat those soft, tender, and delicious cupcakes.

GA, OK, and OSU are overrated because they can barely beat losers in a loser-stacked schedule. That doesn't mean they're BAD, since any given saturday they can play tough, but it doesn't mean they're POWERHOUSES. Stop being a homer. And yeah, ASU was totally overrated if they're gonna lose to UNLV. But that doesn't mean they can't play tough this saturday.

USC is NOT overrated, because when they're healthy, they beat the shit out of you for the first half of the game, and then put their 2nd and 3rd string in after halftime. That's the _only_ reason why the score isn't 70-17 (like their drubbing of Arkansas) *almost* every game. Still, shit happens, and there's gonna be days when--especially in-conference--somebody plays up to them. It's just that it doesn't happen as often for USC as it does for the overrated teams.

Followup: just because it's easy to get into doesn't mean it's easy to stay in. I've heard that the fallout/failout/dropout rate is significantly higher than other schools.

They also do fun things like cashing the check for a semester's worth of housing, and then sweeping the dorms for liquor and weed. Expulsions mean free money!
