Twice actually, both in the 3rd. Twice he "drew" an interference call when he was barely touched, and dove on the ground like he had been clotheslined.

Good acting, and bad officiating in this game.

Regardless. The Pens couldn't hit the broad side of a barn tonight. There's no running away from the fact that they haven't scored in 120 minutes of hockey. You can put this year's Ray Emery in the line-up in the first two games and the Wings would probably take it.

Your dirty, cheap ass team lost fair and square.

I guess 2 games determine the cup, right? They shouldn't even play any more games.

You fags sound like the idiots from pittsburgh saying there'd be a sweep. They were wrong, and you seem to imagine you won't be.

Once the wings step out of detroit, and pens hit home ice, there won't be a shutout 3rd game in a row, and probably not a win.

Basically, any IDIOT that thought this series would be over in 4 games, is an idiot. This is going 6, if not 7 games.

Btw, is calling a team SHITTY then saying your team is good for not letting them score really proving how good your team is? Defensively, the wings are the best team the pens have faced. They play an old school trap, with offense doing a lot of the work. Something the east didn't have this season.

Shutouts don't mean the other team is terrible, they mean your team is good. Clowning on the other team for not scoring only takes YOUR players down a notch morons.
>> Anonymous
>>118467
Yeah, game misconduct with what, 1 minute left?
It happens all the time. Wings coach shouldn't have had him on the ice, plain and simple. Things were getting dirty, and he left him out there.

His own damn fault. Cry more like you're the only one that got affected by blown calls. The whole playoff season has been crazy with them. This game was just as bad as all of the shit previously, rolled into one.

>>118482
People get ticketed for speeding all the time
Guess we should just stop making it a crime and tell all motorists if they don't wanna get ridden off the road, stay home

I lol at Pens fans who laugh when their team gets away with cheap shots, then rage when the Wings create penalties out of moderate but unnecessary contact.

>>118482
hey dumb fuck that was the second time he was hit in the face
the first time was about halfway through the third period
watch the fucking game then say shit
but whatever he got his ass absolutely beaten by who?
pavel datsyuk, how embarrassing can getting your ass beaten by the player who is going to win his second hart trophy.

Last change at the Igloo is not going to help the Penguins. If he tries to avoid the Datsyuk/Zetterberg line, he's going to find them going apeshit insane in the offensive zone. The best he can do is to match Crosby against them so they'll need to honor their defensive responsibilities.

The only thing that can possibly save the Penguins is if Therrien gives up his shitty system and gets his players to forecheck like they mean it. But that's not going to happen.

This series will be a sweep. We just need to find out if the Penguins will actually score or not.

Oh for christ sake. First "OH LOL IT WAS JUST ONE GAME!" now "OH LOL IT WAS JUST TWO GAMES!"? It's not like Pittsburgh barely lost these two games, they got their asses fucking served to them. They're skating around like headless chickens having no idea what to do against the raw puck-possession game Detroit is capable of dominating in their sleep. Crosby's been covered for all 120 minutes of this series and the effectiveness of doing that is reflecting itself in Pittsburgh's inability to get a puck in the net. With Crosby smothered and Malkin in complete freefall all that oft-masturbated-to 'offensive depth' that was going to carry the Penguins to the Cup has completely disappeared. The Penguins simply have no answer to Detroit's game, and having 17000 bandwagoners in the Igloo isn't going to change that.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK CROSBY WHAT THE FUCK MAN?????????????????????

Any of you detroit fans actually go to the games? I heard they got some open seats there. I mean, the BEST hockey team to ever grace the ice, and you could just walk to the arena, and get a ticket?

I'd imagine you anons could enjoy the game.

Oh wait, you don't care, and that's why they don't have people there.

Winning another cup won't make people give a fuck about your damn team. Detroit should just move the team to a city that would care.

You seem to be under the impression that the Wings fanboys here aren't bandwagoning faggots from anywhere but Michigan.

Detroit was 8th in the NHL for attendance this year. I can think of a LOT of teams that have better justification for moving due to poor game turnout than the Wings.

We've got a winner!

That said, at least the pens fans show up. Attendance = tickets sold. The games are sold out at Joe Lewis, but people aren't all going to the game.

You'd be hard pressed to find a single empty seat since the playoffs started at mellon arena, since they've sold standing room only tickets a few weeks before the playoffs. They've repeatedly shown the empty seats with the cameras that nobody shows up to sit down in at Joe Lewis.

I just think it's sad. If your team is that good (5th finals in 13 years) you'd think people would be all over them. The yankees don't have this problem, and they're not even this successful, especially not recently.

This is true btw. Through work, I met a woman who bought THREE tickets to tonights game in Joe Lewis Arena for $100 a piece. She doesn't even live in detroit. She lives in fucking Cincinnati. She said she's staying across the pond in Canada for $40 a night as well.

Tickets for the games in Pittsburgh? Going rate was over $1,500.

Bandwagon fans on the internet, nobody gives a fuck about. Fans not showing up to the games? People that matter DO look at that. It would be one thing if the wing's arena held like 30,000 people, but it doesn't.
>> Anonymous
most people supporting the wings now support them because they don't want to see sidney crosby and the rest of the faggot penguins like ruutu with a stanley cup

also because everyone who enjoys hockey is sick of hearing about crosby

>You'd be hard pressed to find a single empty seat since Mellon Arena is a tiny, tiny, shitty tiny arena that an office christmas party could fill to half-capacity

1) Detroit is in severe ecenomic shit right now. People just don't have the money to spend on a lower-bowl ticket for three-odd hours of game time

2) Bettman made the fantastic idea to schedule the games at exactly the same time as the Pistons' playoff games, basketball not only drawing more people than hockey but Pistons playoff tickets being considerably cheaper than Wings playoff ones.
>> Anonymous
>>118629
Poor excuse, but whatever. People that aren't really fans pick teams for shitty reasons. Bet half the fags in this thread don't support their local team.
>> Anonymous
I for one have been a Wings fan since I was 12. I'd be at the games in a heartbeat if I was a reasonable distance from Detroit.
>> Anonymous
>>118628

irrelevant because all of the pens fans are bandwagon faggots who wouldn't be there if the prepubescent crosby wasn't on the team

do you remember filing for bankruptcy twice pensfag?

I just think it's sad. If your team is that good, you'd think you wouldn't have to hang from Mario Lemieux's nuts to stay afloat.

I already gave a personal story of someone getting tickets to TONIGHTS GAME for $100 a piece.

STANLEY CUP TICKETS FOR $100 TO SEE THE BEST TEAM WINGS PLAYING?

Your excuse about the economy and the price of tickets is retarded. It's not like Pittsburgh is doing any better.

Pistons games, maybe. Though, I don't see many black people in the stands in hockey games anyways...

>I already gave a personal story of someone getting tickets to TONIGHTS GAME for $100 a piece.

Someone who, you specifically stated, ISN'T from Detroit and ergo isn't hit by Michigan's recession. Fail.

>>118641
I guess Bankruptcy negates the problems Detroit has in filling it's arena, right?

The pens weren't winning when they filed for that and Mario stepped in. Wings are on a huge streak over the past decade, so no fucking excuses.

wait, when the television shows empty seats, does it keep showing the same seats throughout the game, so we know if the people who have those seats arent you know , going to the bathroom or shit?

>>118644

The Pittsburgh Penguins are a team supported by bandwagon fans only when they're winning and have over-publicized superstars, which is why it's retarded for you to talk shit about Detroit's economic difficulties. Don't throw stones from glass houses.

You survived bankruptcy with the help of Mario and you're surviving now only because of your superstars and their media coverage. Your fans are shit. Your city is shit. Your team is shit, and you are most certainly not known for your loyal fan base, so just shut the fuck up about how amazingly difficult it is to get tickets to your great games.

Oh, and these "superstars" haven't done shit for 2 games. Congrats on being totally outclassed and shit on. It must be embarrassing to be shut out twice in a row.

>>118683

They barely survived even being bailed out by Mario, hell, they were about to MOVE, before Rendell bailed them out to stay. Now, revenue from the Casinos that was supposed to go to things that could have helped the state, is now going to BUILD THEIR NEW ARENA, it's bullshit.
