The version played at the Olympics doesn't have the subtle electric guitar though. Figures, they don't want to taint they're precious Chinese (but the song was actually made in Japan, hurr) folk music.

From the Youtube comments:

>Haha! Yeah it was playing a lot in between swimming events at Beijing Olympics. Also, if any of you have tried streaming the video of the archery competition, (which they don't televise, understandably so) you'll hear one of the DW battle themes playing in the background. I always pictured Liu Bei crushing the Yellow Turbans when it came on. I can't pinpoint which song it is, exactly, but it's unmistakably Dynasty Warriors.

Can I get a confirmation on DW music being played during archery? I didn't get to watch it.

There is no "How many mooks you can kill with a melee weapon in 15 minutes" event for him to participate in, unfortunately.

NBC used Halo music for one of their Olympic sob stories.

The arena music for one of the ping pong matches was the BGM from DW 4. Not sure if DW 5 is any different, but it was pretty true to it.

The credits at the end of Dynasty Warriors 6 actually say "PROPERTY OF BEIJING, CHINA" at the very end. The game's production was outsourced to China. Conspiracy?

Also noticed that aqueous transmission by Incubus playing during one of the chinese "stories" a couple of nights ago during primetime. Probably used because of the use of that chinese string instrument they used.
