I love golfing.
But i don't love the part where i have to drive 15 mins to get to my local golf course.

Now, while i do enjoy hitting balls around at home in the huge lot i own outside, i don't like it when they go into my bee-infested woods and i lose them.

Now, today i tried to make a sort of "automatic ball return" for driving.

What i did was i drilled a hole in a ball, double tied fishing line to the screw and then tied the other end to a larger screw that i planted into the ground.

This was all fine in theory, untill i hit the ball. And it came to the end of the string, and came back at me and hit me in the leg. and to add insult to injury, the screw came out of the ground.

So while I'm waiting for my bruise to heal up, is there any way to do what i want to do, IE a system where i hit the ball and don't lose it to bee-land?

What most of the people i know do is buy a driving net. Ours has lasted for over 5 years now with my dad, my brother, and myself. I know i put a 100 balls into it a week and it holds up fine. Then get the littler foam balls that you can drive the shit out of of but they only travel 50-100 feet according to the kind you get, plus you can tell if you are slicing or hooking the ball from the way the ball moves.

lol you idiot

get the plastic practice balls, they only go about 50 yards tops, and let you learn consistency. it will help your short game immensely.

then if you have about 10,000 sitting around, build yourself a putting green in your big lot

I'll try and find one, sounds like a worthwhile investment.
