Is it possible for a team to win the championship without winning an away game in the playoffs?
>> Anonymous
>>103947

Yes. But it's never come close to happening.
>> Anonymous
>>103947
With the finals in a 2-3-2 setup I don't think that will happen.

>>103947
Theoretically, yes.

Realistically, it won't happen. As a Bostonfag, I know that when teams suddenly win after losing, everyone starts going to games and not giving full homecourt support.

Then you have places like New York, where when they're losing people STILL go to the games just to boo the home team.

EXCEPT THE ROAD
>> Bruinsfag
We had the game last night, if it weren't for some really shitty momentum changing calls.

Garnett's invisible traveling and Pierce's 'charging' in the 4th quarter for example.
>> Bruinsfag
But I will admit that we can't keep up this dismal road play. We shouldn't need to rely on the Officials to give a fair game.

Hopefully we'll pick up the pace next series.

I hate the Celtics and I'm a Cavs fan, but if for some reason the Cavs don't win game 7, it'd be fucking hilarious to see the Celtics win it all and go 0-12 on the road.

Well garnett still tripped over his own damn foot on the final play and coughed up the ball.

I sorta hope the cavs win, but celtics - lakers would be a fantastic final.
>> Anonymous

Yes. The Celtics have Home Court Advantage throughout the playoffs, so technically, if they win every home game, they could lose every away game and still win the championship. Which would be hilarious.

16-12

this looks a lot better

wire hangers and the cavs will sweep in 7

David Stern is having a major dilemma right about now. He's deciding which team he wants to advance in the conference finals.

On one hand you can rebuild the Lakers-Celtics rivalry. But on the other hand you can have two of the biggest basketball superstars in the world going playing against each other.

>>104380
You're an idiot. It's the refs deciding on their own. Stern doesn't even know who's playing at this point.
>> Anonymous
Is /sp/ rooting for the celtics to go 16-12 in the finals and take the championship? It would be pretty fuckin funny if it did happen I'll admit

IF they HAVE to win it then that is the only acceptable way.
