soxfags relax you will likely get salty but Tex is a Yankee next year we actually need a 1B, theo is not gonna pay mike lowell to sit on the bench.
>> Cleveland Fag !AVztAjVxGg
>>421915

Neither.

He will never come back, and Steroid Product would imply that he is still making contact with the ball. He not only used to be a power hitter, but high average also. At first we figured he was injured, then he got better, and continued to suck.

Honestly, it's like he forgot how to hit. In addition, the shift is making him it's bitch because he can only hit to select areas, so when he doesn't strikeout he hits into the shift.

Hafner, like Carmona, is a fluke.

3 straight years of 160+ OPS+ is a fluke? Even in his 'down' '07 he was still a solid mid-order guy. Plus, his minor-league career suggests his up seasons were his actual skill level.
>> Anonymous
>>421931

'07 wasn't horrible, but this year was. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised, but I really do feel that he'll never be great again. Solid? Sure. Great? Never.

Atleast we only had to give up Einar Diaz for him.
>> Anonymous

You're right. So they'd trade Lowell to a trade that needed a 3rd baseman like the Twins or the White Sox, plenty of teams need a 3rd baseman.
>>421920
Sheets will get a 1 year deal this off season with an incentive contract due to his injury from any team. So I don't think he'll get a big contact maybe a guaranteed 10 million with incentives.

True. No clue what the hell happened to him this year. I still think he'll have 3 or 4 more solid seasons, with at least one where he approaches Pronk-of-yore status, before crashing out of the league at 36.

Yeah, they have 3 everyday catchers, need pitchers, yet refuse to let anyone one of them go for anything less then a few firstborn children.

They will trade Gaird and Salty but Teagarden is there future catcher.

if you're a Red Sox fan and you're listening anyone other than Varitek as starting Catcher, you're a fucking lunatic. he's not going anywhere.

He won't be a regular starter. If he stays with the team he'll be back-up/mentor or platoon.

Win the division by a ton, because it sucks, lose in the first round to the Marlins. I have no fucking clue who's up the middle. Maybe Nomar if he's cheap, and the management is sentimental, but he'd still miss more than half the season, and end up coming off the bench anyway. If the ownership goes money crazy then perhaps Furcal will be back, but he's likely headed to the AL/NL East. If we miss Sabbathia he's probably coming back though. Thank god Jeff Kent is gone. Good riddance.

You know, Ben Sheets for the Phils would be awesome... if that mother fucker could stay healthy for a week.

Sorry, teams that get their hearts broken in the WS don't get Free Agents the following off-season. Check with Colorado.
