As a Rutgers fan, I never honestly believed I would say this...

Rutgers can go to a national championship game.

Currently, they're 12th in the BCS. Beating Louisville and West Virginia woulde push them ahead about 4 or 5 spots. Florida has three realistic chances to lose (South Carolina, Florida State, SEC Championship). Texas has a few chances (Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Big XII championship). USC will lose somewhere down the line. They should just jump Auburn, Tennessee, and Notre Dame in the rankings.

The only thing Rutgers would have to worry about is Michigan beating Ohio State, or Ohio State barely beating Michigan. Fortunately, I don't think the powers that be would want a Michigan-Ohio State rematch anyway.

Fucking crazy, isn't it?

Sorry but Rutgers has 0% chance. Louisville is the only Big East school deserving of a title chance if they win out as they are the only ones to play a ranked opponent outside of Big East competition. However, WVU also has a shot since people seem to love WVU.
Also you wrongly believe Rutgers will jump the SEC champion which is ridicules as they will only have 1 lose (Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, or Tennessee). This is all a moot point anyway as Rutgers won't be undefeated.

Rutgers GTFO of my BCS
>> Dr. Swordopolis
Rutgers is not going to beat both Louisville and West Virginia.

Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Auburn, and LSU would all beat Rutgers by 20+ points.

Rutgers does have a chance but I wouldn't bank on it. The chance is right up there with the chance for you to win the lottery. Unlike the rest of /sp/ I'm not a diehard douchebag when it comes to my favorite teams.

I think Rutgers is probably going to lose to both WVU and Louisville but that doesn't mean it's guaranteed. They could pull an upset.

Also to 21860 people don't love WVU you dumbass. People hate WVU and have for a long time. Any "small" university will never get any respect in the BCS because they don't have the money to throw at the people in charge of the BCS like the bigger schools do.

You're not very smart are you? The schools don't throw any money around, the BCS pays them to appear in the bowl games, the ones who get the most money are the ones that will draw in the highest rating thus translating into highest revenue. Right now WVU is at it's most popular, After their basketball program last year they gained plenty of attention. Why do you think they are ranked #3 if everyone hates them as you say, they have not played a single quality opponent, unlike Louisville who despite playing tougher competition and having the same record in the same conference is ranked 2 spots behind.

BCS is such a failure.

Some higher-up needs to put Texas on Boise State's schedule every year, so they can't play 11 bullshit MAC/WAC/MEAC/Whothefuckcares teams and bitch about how good they are

Are you talking about WVU, Rutgers or Boise State?

Boise state IS good though, whenever they go through their conference undefeated people are like oh well they're nothing special and then they win in a bowlgame against a good school and people say "yeah well they were undefeated" same thing with utah, and i do believe they won a BCS game

Maybe Florida. The rest of those teams are overrated garbage. Rutgers would probably split the other 4 games.

the only one i could see them coming within ten points of is tennessee, considering how up and down they tend to play.

Boise State is just as legit as Louisville, WVU, Rutgers, and Tulsa. Yes Tulsa.

These teams are all pretty good but certainly not national title material. Some just have easier schedules than others.

Boise GTFO. And fuck Utah too. Any team can beat any other team on a given day. And bowl games are notorious for often having one team that doesn't want to be there playing like shit.

If BSU had to play decent competition week after week in the SEC, Big 10/12, or even the Pac 10 or ACC, they would have trouble finishing with a winning record.

They all are national title contenders, so what if they played an easyer than normal schedule, if you don't put them up against florida, auburn, USC you can never say for sure that they will lose, and when these teams do match up it's usually the "lower" team that comes up on top these teams can play, and when they get a shot, they show off how good they really are

Wow, my Slutgers being known for it's football instead of it's easy to lay female population? I don't believe it.

Now there's something ESPN should cover.

I'm totally going there, now.

I can see Rutgers beating Louisville at home, but I dont think they will beat West Virginia away. Big East is crazy, it could lead to three 10-1 teams and none of them might even play in BCS.
