Anyone got any pictures or videos of the tackle on Eduardo today?

He's probably gonna miss the rest of the premiership this year and Euro 2008 at least.

Just because some skinny Euro flops and acts like he just got hit by a comet doesn't mean he'll be out for the year. He probably just stubbed a toe.

I broke my ankle in Seattle and I was fine in a couple months. He's just too much of a crybaby to get up.

Pfft. Soccer.

Oh. That's a little different. D: All I heard was someone slid in on him and cleated his ankle. Didn't know that dude got his shot broken in half.

Eduardo suffered a horrific broken leg in the third minute of Arsenal's match against Birmingham City on 23 February 2008, after a tackle by Martin Taylor, who was sent off for the challenge.[7] Eduardo received eight minutes of on-field treatment before being stretchered off wearing an oxygen mask. Replays available on the internet showed that the two pieces of broken bone became perpendicular to each other with his foot seemingly dangling by a thread from his leg. Commentators say this may be one of the worst injuries in English top flight football history.[8] The injury was so graphic that Sky Sports, who were showing the game live, decided not to show replays of the incident. After being stretchered off the field, he was immediately taken to hospital for further treatment.[8] Eduardo is almost definitely going to miss the rest of the 2007–08 season and miss out on Euro 2008. Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger called for a lifetime ban of Taylor for the tackle, adding on Sky Sports: "His injury is very, very bad. More than the season is over."

His foot was half way to coming off.

And you were back playing three months later playing against world class opponents in Euro 2004.

United fan here.. This is a terrible thing to happen to any football, even if he recovers he will never be appeal to reach or excel on his quality before injury.

No, this was described as similar as Busst's snap, and the pics show something quite like that break.
>> Anonymous
If it was as bad as Busst's he may never play for Arsenal again.

The thing with his break was the bone got infected, which is not always the case.
But still, bye bye Eduardo, he's out for a long time.

This wasn't as bad because his leg was off the ground, obviously if your foot is rooted to the ground you stand to break your leg.

It's a terrible shame this has happened to Eduardo, who was just finding his feet and establishing himself as a fine player in the Arsenal squad. But i wonder how this incident would be percieved by the media and British fans in general if the same challenge and injury had happened to say someone like Wayne Rooney at the hands of a foreign player
