Damn right, who'd want to have sex with a caveman?

An O-lineman's job is basically bench-press the opposing D-linemen. They try and have their arms stretched out in front of them at all times, Those pads help keep their elbows in place(and protect from injury if the bench-press position is broken.)

You touched on the subject, good job Anon.

Actual O-lineman here. Those are mostly used for protection of the elbows and to help stabilize the elbow when your in pass-pro.

They beard you ask...it's a tradition.

I heard O-linemen are the smartest football players (you're right though, a caveman could still do it), its the only position where you have to make your own decisions and do it quickly, everyone else just does what the coach tells them to

All football players are retarded, but O-linemen are functionally so

yea, because a quarterback just throws to the first reciever that the coach tells him to. and a linebacker goes into a zone even if he sees it's a run play. sure, everyone is just mindless except those linemen.
