Longboards Anonymous
Hey there /sp/; as I'm not really sure where this fits (and /fit/ are a bunch of dicks), I come to you in hopes that someone can help me.

I'm looking into buying a longboard, but I'm not quite sure where to start...I've tried my friend's board out a few times, but I'm still effectively a beginner. I'm pretty sure I want to get a Sector 9, but I've no idea what the ideal length/everything else is for me as a novice.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Seriously? Have you seen fucking /toy/? This isn't exactly the type of thread that belongs there (at least ATM).

OP, you're probably going to want just a mid-range board...not sure how long exactly...check out sector 9's website.

I bought the Sector 9 Uluwatu to get around campus here. It was my first board ever. Even a skateboard, I never had one of those. I loosened the trucks and it turns wonderfully.
I highly reccommend it for learning, as it is quite long 46", but Now that I've learned, I kind of wish I had a shorter snappier board. I wish I bought the Carbon Trylam.

OP here.

That's my main concern; I want something I won't kill myself on, but will still be fun once I get better....I'm thinking about a 36 inch sector 9 frothy cosmic...
