Eight Greatest NFL Rivalries of All Time Anonymous
http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/specials/2008/perfect_picks/index.html?cat=NFL&week=4

Nominees are Broncos-Raiders, Colts-Patriots, Cowboys-49ers, Cowboys-Redskins, Dolphins-Jets, Eagles-Giants, 49ers-Giants, and Raiders-Steelers.

I can't believe they left out Chiefs-Raiders. Those teams fucking hate each other. I once saw a KC Chiefs player lose his helmet in a tackle, and a Raiders player take the opportunity to kick him in the back of the head. Also, no Bears-Packers?

Also, Raiders-Steelers hasn't been interesting in decades, if they are going to go back that far they should nominate Browns-Giants. And Colts-Patriots has only been good recently, there was no rivalry before 2000.

This list sucks.

They left out teams that fucking hate each other like Chiefs-Raiders, Cowboys-Eagles, and Bears-Packers in favor of teams that could give a shit like the Pats-Colts.

Without Bears-Packers the list is worthless. Close 2nd for me would be Cheifs-Raiders.

What about Lions-Winning?

How about Steelers/Browns? It's one of the oldest rivalries and they still hate each other.

I shall nigger this list as well

Their other polls are bad as well.

Best team of all time, and they include the 99 rams but not the way better 98 Broncos?

This is a joke.

The big 'rivalry' before the realignment in the AFC East was actually Dolphins-Colts. The Dolphins-Jets thing seems to only be a rivalry these days because there just doesn't happen to be any other teams for us to not like.

>No Bears-Packers

Wat?! Seriously! WTF, Are you fucking shitting me?!

I disagree.

The Colts were an old NFL team that moved to the AFC in 1970. They had a lot of awful teams in the seventies and eighties.

Dolphins-Jets had some bad teams, but they have always hated each other since the Shula / No Name Defense Fins knocked off the Joe Namath-era Jets. Plus, who could forget the eighties Jets being bad but still giving a hard time to Marino's Dolphins?

dude bears packers rivalry should be there too

IN ORDER

1) Cowboys-Redskins
2) Bears-Packers
3) Browns-Steelers
4) Broncos-Raiders
5) Chiefs-Raiders
6) Dolphins-Jets
7) Eagles-Giants
8) Cowboys-49ers

How about Cowboys/Steelers? They both still hate each other, plus there's always a good chance they'll both be in the Super Bowl together again.

Chiefs-Raiders, Browns-Steelers, and Vikings-Packers. The three biggest in the NFL, and none of them "nominated." Patriots-Colts is not a fucking rivalry. Cowboys-Redskins is a close 4th. 49ers-Giants NOT A FUCKING RIVALRY. Raiders-Steelers? NOT A FUCKING RIVALRY.
>> Anonymous
What was the foundation of the Dolphins-Jets rivalry? I'm drawing a blank.
>> Anonymous
wtf, Cowboys-49ers hasn't existed since the mid-90s.
>> Anonymous
Buffalo/N.Y. Jets use to be a big rivalry. Hasn't been relevent in DECADES, but neither has most rivalries in football these days. They have the Raiders listed twice, but when was the last time the Raiders were threatening?

And I don't think any rivalry can top Packers/Bears

ITT: Anon fails at reading comprehension. Clearly, they're comparing rivalries at their peaks.

I'm pretty sure it's just because they are in the same division...
