Now I'm not saying its going to happen.
I'm not saying its probable.
I'm not saying anything.

But I was curious to know, what would happen to /sp/ if the Giants went.......18-1?
>> Anonymous
It'd be humorous, but not amazing because it isn't happening to BAWWWWWWWWSTON.
>> Anonymous
That would be uh

The most improbable thing ever?
>> Anonymous
>>423771
That would be the Packers winning the superbowl
>> Billy the Blue Ranger !5lGrhM17rM
If the Giants went 18-1 everyone would say it was a fluke and probably the result of some government mind control testing and fake like when we walked on the moon.

but...

the giants already lost. 18-1 means that they win the super bowl. that's a completely different situation from last year's patriots.

i think you should have used the titans in your example instead.

Leave the Giants to me. 18-1 is an overused and old meme that needs to go away, and I will singlehandedly make that happen.
>> Anonymous
>>423798
You misspelled "Lions"

>>423829
You can't make 18-1 go away unless you go back in time and make the Patriots lose a regular-season game. History doesn't "go away".

as soon as brandon jacobs gets hurt you won't have to worry about it, because then plaxico will finish crying like T.O. and Eli will go back to being a choke artist
>> Anonymous
>>423824
OP here that was kinda the point. It'd have turned "18-1" a meme synonymous with epic fail into one of reletive win. What would this do to my beloved /sp/? Would the internet quit? Would our heads all explode?

I want Jacobs to get injured. Ward and Droughns are just way way better. I don't know how many more weekends I can stomach him running DIRECTLY into the back of the pile for a half yard gain.

You're kidding right? The gets hit 6 times and still picks up huge chunks of yardage. Not to mention he forces the defense to put extra men in the box in anticipation of what would happen if he were to get running room.(Flattened defensive backs) Learn something about football before you run your retarded fucking mouth. He's the #1 RB On the team for a reason. Those spell hb's do so well by complimenting jacobs.

Teams that went 18-1

1984 49ers
1985 Bears
2007 Patriots

what's the difference in all of them?
>> Anonymous
>>423758
I'd be fine with it, I don't even believe they are the best team in the NFC but it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

The thing is it wouldn't quite be the poetic justice that the Patriots 18-1 was. It would be a fun little notation but nothing really more.

lol no, we tried leaving the eagles to you and you spent more time on your back than a thai whore

Really? Ruben "2 yards per carry" Droughns? I want them to cut him, not start him.

Um, wasn't Jacob's injury last year the cause of this "Earth, Wind and Fire" phase? Whether directly or indirectly. It made the Giants into a team that no longer relies on one back (Hullo thurr Tiki). Would an injured Jacob's hurt the Giants? Sure. But would it kill them? Nah.

The NFL isn't madden. Any carry longer than 5 yards is considered a 'huge chunk'
>> HKK !h7MHU9L/Oo
>>425457

Brandon Jacobs is leading the NFL in yards per carry. Are you fucking dense?
>> Anonymous
>>425485

Yeah, the guy is dumb for ragging on the most feared running back in the NFL, but a guy with ridiculous yards per carry is Jerious Norwood. Why do the Falcons refuse to give this fucking guy a chance?

Hurr durr let's give 60 year old Warrick Dunn all the carries instead of Mr. 6 yards per carry.

Hurr durr let's trade for Michael Turner despite having Mr. 6 yards per carry.

Sorry, you is so wrong, Jacobs is averaging a respectable 5.4 yards a carry, however he is not leading, his team mate Ward is at 7.2 yards a carry. so you are the ball licker. To add, McFadden is averaging 5.1 for the RAIDERS, THE FUCKING RAIDERS, one more time RAIDERS. I ask you, who is the better running back? jacobs does only average 86 yards a game.

Obvious FULLback is obvious

p.s. STATS BETTER /SP/

YPC will go down with the number of carries a back receives, it's proven. And why do those quick backs get so many god dam runs per carry? Because Jacobs has been pounding the middle, and abusing the DL / LB's. You really have no valid argument to make. Jacobs is the feature back for a reason. 86 Yards a game is fine when you're sharing carries with 2 other backs. If he were to get 30 carries a game he'd be pulling 110+ A game with ease. Instead he gets 15-20 carries. And swaps out for the quick spell backs.
>> Hexagram !iKGMr61IHM
>>425504

i think Norwood should get his chance as well. he probably will the same way turner did. going to another team.
>> Billy the Blue Ranger !5lGrhM17rM
>>425858
I totally agree. When I listen to other coaches talk about Jacobs it's clear that the opposition recognizes what a task it is to just simply tackle him a dozen or more times. Also he's been improving as far as timing and finding the hole's the line opens up for him.

Also I think Jacobs will be an important part of the upcoming game in Pittsburgh, he'll be getting hard fought yards for most of the game while Ward and Bradshaw will come in every once and a while for a down or two and cut them up as the fatigue sets in. Especially late in the game I expect Bradshaw will slash them hard and get some big plays.

Worst city in sports is Philadelphia. Then Atlanta, Miami, New York/Boston tied since I don't want to start a YANKS SAWKS shitstorm, then Jacksonville.

Jacksonville has one pro team, in the most popular sport, and they have to tarp over stadium seats to "sell out." WTF.

It's funny how you list Philadelphia when you seem to be judging cities on how they support their teams.

This means you're one of the following: fan of a divisional rival of the Eagles, fan of a divisional rival of the Flyers, or fan of a team the Phillies just beat to get to the World Series. No matter which you pick, thou buttocks be hurteth.
