Er.. The Jordan rules?

But yeah, Kobe can't be compared and won't ever be seriously compared to MJ again, unless he does some amazing things from now on. But he's already getting past his prime, so MJ's safe.

MJ didn't win a title until he's 29. Kobe right now can't really compare to MJ, but no one will know for sure until Kobe's career is over. Ironically people criticized a title less MJ for the same thing as Kobe is being subjected to right now.

not true. if you have been watching Kobe you can tell his athleticism is on the down-stride. this probably has a lot to do with him playing NBA seasons since he was barely 18.

Jordan wasn't doing the same until he was 21 or 22. That's a whole extra 3 or 4 years of grueling NBA schedule off his body. Plus, MJ was one of those extremely rare players who played his best past 32. I don't see Kobe doing the same.

Kobe didn't win those titles. It was all SHAQ and Robert Horry.

As far as I'm concerned, Kobe hasn't won any rings.

if he has the work ethic and dedication that Jordan had, he can play his best basketball after the age of 32.

I'm not buying the 3 or 4 years of extra seasons bullshit.

Jordan's work ethic was legendary.

also kobe's was not a starter nor did he play starter minutes for his first 2 years.

Alright, alright. I don't think Kobe's problem is that his playing is shitty. He can ball, but you CAN'T have one man support an entire team. The Lakers are once a broken team because it had Shaq and Kobe playing off of each other. That fell apart when Shaq left.

The Lakers higher-up is most likely use this as a wake up call and realize that one man can not carry a team. At least MJ had Pippen, Rodman and a really good bench behind him during the Bulls dynasty.
>> Anonymous
>>169110

Fail for mentioning Horry. Putting a game winning shot twice in a playoff run != HoF performance.
>> Anonymous
>>169116
Jordan missed 2 full years with injuries and another when he played baseball. So when he was at his prime at age 32 his body only had the mileage of a 29 year older. Kobe is finished.

>Jordan had 4 other great players on his team.

Jordan had Will Perdue playing center. WILL FUCKING PERDUE!!! You could guard Will Perdue!

Name somebody else on the Bulls championship teams besides Pippen who could start for anybody other than the Clippers. You can't do it. If you want to blame Odom or Gasol for disappearing in the finals, fine. You're right. But Kobe didn't do it, either, so the Jordan comparisons end here.

Garnet, pierce, ray allen anyone? Kobe was alone on this one... if the lakers would sign players like that, they'd win the title easily. Celtics only had to guard 1 player right now, pretty easy... and even the defensive player of the year can only guard 1 person? Kobe still has a role to play, as long as he gets some backup...

those three players took it upon theirselves to set aside egos, personal stats, etc.

you've got doc confused with someone who can coach.

amen

Kobefags will always rewrite history, because they have to try to make the stupidest comparison ever

Kobe is not MJ

Kobe has never been close to MJ

Kobe will never be close to MJ

All the bullshit comparisons come from a bunch of shallow dickholes with a superiority complex. We just watched Kobe FAIL EPICALLY in a way that JORDAN NEVER EVER WOULD HAVE and they are still trying to make excuses.

They have CB syndrome...they could point to the blazing sun high in the sky and look you in the eye and say it is night time. AND THEY BELIEVE IT.

But no matter how many denialbots keep repeating it and trolling it, Kobe is not Michael Jordan and will never be close to Michael Jordan.

>>169392

The reason why people won't blame either one of the Boston big 3 individually is, they will never be compared to the great players of all time. All of those guys mentioned had trouble leading their team to the playoffs, so even if they win two more rings they will not be credited for their teams success as an individual. Kobe is constantly compared to Jordan, and he will always fall short of that until he rivals Jordan in the number of titles.
>> Anonymous
I think that the major reason why everyone wants to compare Kobe to Jordan is because the NBA has been in a decline since Jordan. Everybody is looking for the new saviour and they figure they should start with the most skilled player at the moment.

"save our league Kobe"

not gonna happen.

I agree that Kobe will never be Jordan. Kobe doesn't have Jordan's appeal let alone championships.
>> Anonymous

You can't neglect the fact that he put up 81 points in a game. Doesn't matter if it was against the Raptors or that he had the ball the entire game because of his shitty team, he scored 81 in an NBA game. And I think the same year, or the some year after Shaq was gone he pulled off consecutive 40pt or 50pt games over a span of 4-5 games or so.

He's got talent, just can't win championships playing team ball.
