Angels play in the fail-est division in baseball. Getting 100 wins in the AL West is like getting 88 in the AL East.

Baseball-reference.com disagrees. The Angels are 9th in the AL in Runs Scored with 735. The highest scoring team in the AL is... the Texas Rangers!

The Rays are the best team in the AL. The Angels have gotten fairly lucky and are dominating the second-weakest division in the game (the weakest, of course, being the NL West). Thanks for playing!

STOP USING RELEVANT, ACCURATE STATISTICS TO PROVE YOUR POINT. YOU ARE SUCH A FAGGOT.

The NL West would like to have a word with you.

AT LEAST THE NL WEST HAS TWO TEAMS OVER .500

The closest team to the Angels in their division is currently 22 games back. Twenty. Two. Games. Back.

Runs scored *isn't* a meaningful statistic. Runs scored per inning is a meaningful statistic. Since that statistic is nearly impossible to find, we'll have to use runs per at-bat, which is a poor alternative given that one variable almost inevitably influences the other. But it's more accurate because teams that have a lot of HOME WINS hit in fewer innings than teams that don't. Every home win, unless won in a walkoff, has only 8 innings of at-bats. So here is your accurate statistics for runs per at-bat, calculated before tonight's games.

This must be the greatest troll ever, this list is nearly identical to the runs scored standings.
