So, /sp/, what are your predictions for this year's NBA playoffs? My money is on the Spurs. They're already starting off strong against the Suns (3-0), and I'm pretty sure they'll beat New Orleans if they go up against them.

Spurs look stronger after every playoff game. It's like they feed off their opponent's tears.

lord knows the suns to a lot of crying

True.. But the Lakers don't have Shaq/Kobe combo anymore, so things might be different.

You mean except for the fact that the Lakers is now a REAL team and not stacked to shit like their last Playoff Finals?

Kobe+Gasol+Odom+Bynum+Fisher+One of the best benches in the league=not stacked?
>> Anonymous
>>76381

Bynum is out. Fisher is streaky. Radmanovic is streaky. The team is basically Kobe, Gasol, and Odom.

bitches don't know bout my luke walton.

My money's on the Jazz. Even if they don't win, though, it'll only be a few years until they do. THeir bench is one of the strongest in the league.

LOL! Walton's had a good couple of games against Denver, but that's because they don't play defense. He's usually incompetent on the court, and his season numbers reflect that. He's very unreliable.

Also deron williams is one of the best in the game.

radmonovic is in no way essential to the team, and fisher is in no way streaky. he hits every open shot he gets, which with that odom+kobe+gasol thing going on, is quite a few. also, players like farmar, vujacic, and turiaf are very solid players who dont seem afraid to play with the big boys, despite their youth. luke is good too, but inconsistent, like>>76389said. the lakers are perhaps the second deepest team in the west, aside from utah, but utah doesnt have kobe.

my money's on the #1 seeded lakers to beat the celtics.

>>76395
yeah Radmonovic is pretty useless. In jacksons system he should be scoring a hell of a lot more but he's just dogging it.

>>76385
That's all you need. Kobe can stop Ginobli, Parker will get Bodied by Fisher, and they have bodies to throw at Duncan. Lakers will beat them in 6

>Kobe can stop Ginobli

Actually he can't. Kobe has even said he's his favorite player because he can never guess what he's going to do.

His numbers are mid tier vs. Lakers this year. I doubt he's gonna have as much success as he's had with the Suns since the Lakers actually play D
