I have the 10th pick in my fantasy baseball draft and I'm considering Ryan Braun. I'm still unsure if he'll continue the pace he was on last year and whether if it was an anomaly. Your thoughts, /sp/?

Doesn't seem like an awful pick. I'd prefer Prince if available but I guess it all depends whats left on the table. Assuming its serpentine, 10 or 12 teams? If 12, I'd probably wait for the 2nd round.

Some might like the pick, but I wouldn't take Braun that early. He's got half a season of MLB experience, you don't know what you'll get out of him. I'd much rather take a guy who's proven he can do it over multiple seasons.

at 10 i'd look to draft pujols (if available) or howard in the first round. if your league has 12 teams, you might be able to land braun in the 2nd. even if it has more, i'd consider braun a bit of a reach at 10.

Pujols is a bad pick for anyone given the risk with his elbow. I'd sooner take Ortiz than him.

he's a risk, but without the risk, he'd be a top 5 pick. fantasy baseball is about taking calculated risks, and if pujols is healthy, his production at 1B is unmatched. anyhow, if you want to go risk-free, then pick howard or fielder.
