GREAT TACKLE REF
>> Anonymous
My favorite part is how blatently obvious it is.

I want the espn version where they freezeframe and show the field of vision of the ref, shit was hilarious

Wow that's insane. Anyone have any news links on this? Like was the Ref suspended or fired or anything? Even just a link where a news source comments on it?

According to SEC officials, he did nothing wrong.

Not the first time this happened.

In the NFL a ref tackled one of the saints player AND knocked a pass out of his hands in the same game.

Refs are a part of the field so they can't do anything to redo the play or such.

find me another video of a ref moving to the ball-carrier to lay a hit on him, please. I have watched football for a long time and have never seen a ref so blatantly try to physically affect a play.

NFL took it off youtube but it was during the aaron brooks era and either against the panthers or the falcons.

I can't tell you the year. Also this one is pretty bad so I can't say it was worse.

I'd damn sure be pissed if I was a cockfan, which thankfully I am not. Standing ground is one thing, raising the shoulder and lunging is another. He should be suspended.

Is it just me or did he have plenty of room to move around without getting into the play? He was in a better position to referee and see any holding, etc...then he ran toward the quarterback. I can't imagine what went through his mind.

Did anyone else notice how after he makes the great shoulder tackle he just stares at the qb on the ground for a good 5-10 seconds.
