Donald Trump is a big faggot. He's not even a very good businessman seeing that several of his ventures have gone bankrupt.

Affliction won't have a good show ever again.

What do you mean, "again" ?

It was a pisspoor event, especially since the ME was a fucking disaster.
I would've rioted if I had actually paid to see that shit.

Affliction was only good in the sense that we got to see alot of top talent fighters fight. And face it, you only watched it to see Fedor fight.

the whole production of the show was painful, the sound was fucked, the commentating was piss poor, and the ring announcer sounded half asleep during some introductions.

Affliction will not be a serious threat to the UFC.

Go back, go way back, and look at the very first UFC event.

Was that even marginally close to the standards of what they now practice? Not at all, in my opinion they are not comparable in the least.

Keep in mind that Affliction is mainly a clothing company, and they probably had Trump adding his "well deserved" input on how it should be run. It was obvious that they invested 90% of their time (and funds) into getting great fighters and not all that many on the actual event itself.

In my opinion, I'd rather have good fights in a some shack than terrible ones in the Astrodome. They also planned the fighting schedule really well.

First they opened up with the fights they knew were not going to get the buzz or the glamor and then slowly cranked up the dial. Unlike in the UFC where it is a class up and down rollercoaster. Good fight-bad fight-good fight-bad fight. This makes the overall event good, but it often times removes the ability for them to be spectacular like in Pride.

Wait for their second show, I guarantee you it will be a lot more smooth now that they know what they did wrong, have the attention of people, and the funds and fighters to go again.

I keep hearing that "Oh, there will never be another good Affliction event" that is flat out wrong. Who do you honestly think is going to be doing the Barnett v. Fedor fight? Who do you honestly think is going to doing the Arlovski v. Fedor fight? Who the FUCK do you think is going to do the Couture v. Fedor fight?

I am going to tell you right now, it isn't going to be EliteXC and it sure as hell isn't the UFC.

So guess what? They have at least that many more fights in their repitaur, with just Fedor. He isn't going to scamper off to another organization any time soon. Fedor is still a free agent and he just got paid 1.5 million dollars for thirty six seconds of his time. Not to mention all of the royalties and every other cent he is going to get from them on top of that.

As a result, people will keep watching Affliction, if just to see Fedor fight and beat people to a pulp.

No, I am not saying they will ever rival the UFC in longevity or in their number of viewers, but they stand a better chance than EliteXC does so long as Trump doesn't try and squander all of his money. Again.

UFC should go back to the old days of making people fight 3 times in one night and half the fighters nearly dying.

Remember when all the expert keyboard warriors thought that WFA, IFL, Pride FC, M1 Global and Bodog would be the end of the UFC..... LOL BITCHES!!! Affliction should go back and make shitty skull t-shirts cause they can't make a good PPV.
