ITT: Your predictions for the rest of the baseball postseason

Phillies won't have any problems with the Brewers.

Cubs can win some games but it looks like they just ain't built for the postseason.

Phillies-Dodgers will be a hard-fought NLCS. LA is surging and playing better right now but I think Philly is just a bit better all-around team. Could go either way. I'll say Philadelphia in a battle.

The Rays look great. That series is just getting started, but I can't see the White Sox challenging them.

Angels-Red Sox, on the other hand, is still wide open. Right now I still give the edge to Anaheim.

I think that ALCS match-up favors Tampa slightly. So, we have a Philadelphia-Tampa World Series.

I'm sticking with my pre-playoff predictions.

I had Dodgers in 4 (even though it looks like 3 now). Figured they'd beat Z, and win the two at home.

I had the Rays in 4, for no good reason, since I made the pick before the White Sox/Twins play-in game.

I had the Phillies in 5, which looks retarded now, since they might sweep.

I had Boston beating Anaheim in 4 (see: Dodgers/Cubs).

All these picks still look good, but I have a Dodgers/Red Sox world series, so we'll see...

The difference is that the Angels have a lot more depth when it comes to pitching than the Cubs do.

Saunders or Santana could do what Lackey couldn't. Plus, Lester is the only one i've seen be lights out for the Sox.

I could see the Angels winning this series, the Red Sox have been baffling all season.

I think my fundamental philosophy in regards to the first round of the MLB playoffs is pretty solid:

Division winner usually had the division sewn up by August. Leads to stagnation. Wild Card winner usually had to go on a crazy hot streak just to get into the playoffs.

Stagnant giants vs. white-hot 3 or 4 seed-

Favorite HAS to win BOTH games at home to open the series, or else, the underdog has 100% momentum, and two games at home to take the series.

Best of 7 evens this out much more, but in a best of five, unless you're completely overmatched, you have a much much greater chance of 'stealing' the series than everyone gives you credit.

Slapped this together in a few minutes. Shows how Cubsfags really act when their team starts inevitably sucking.

Oh, and Anaheim and Philly in the world series. Philly in 6.
