* All these safeties are coming up the middle. The Center and the tackle are having trouble adapting to these new rush schemes. I've been noticing an increase in stunt rushes and Blitz reads. You'll see a linebacker sitting there for a couple seconds and then , all of the sudden, WAAAAAGH!!!!!

* Quarterbacks are feeling wayy too comfortable in their own End Zone. It's not like back in the day where a QB is back there, he has the ball and he goes into that "OH FUCK" mentality of having to get that ball out within 1 second. There's dudes literally sitting back there thinking it's a normal 1st and ten deal.

* Play calling sucks. Hand-off up the middle? From the end zone? What the fuck is wrong with you?

Part of the reason some QBs feel more comfortable in the endzone is because they pass so much these days that they don't feel a sense of urgency. Also getting called for intentional grounding counts as a safety too, which might be another reason why they hold the ball.

Could anybody find out the average number of safeties in a season?

the most ever was 8 so it can't be 10

8 in season 1927, 4 by Cleveland, 2 by NY Giants, and 2 by Chicago Bears

The Vikings could tie or even beat the single-season safety record this year. Currently they've recorded three, with two of them happening in the same game two weeks ago against the Packers.

He has also been the Lions best QB this season.
