Expectations for your home team?

Portland-fag here. If road confidence and Oden/Fernandez work out it'll add what they need for 50+ season.... I think Fernandez will be more versatile than James Jones if he doesn't end up coming back to Portland. Hoping to see Aldridge improve the way he did last year.

Other than that, no pro teams :[

ITT over 9000 unrealistic expectations.

The Seahawks aren't my home team, but they're my team nonetheless so that counts as far as I'm concerned.

They'll go 8-0 at home, 2-6 on the road, win first game of the playoffs against the Eagles, Packers, or some shit like that, then get blown out in Minnesota against the Vikings in the second round.

Nuggets: Fail as usual. Chemistry will break down half-way in the season. They'll win games they aren't suppose to and lose games they could of easily won. 8th seed playoff team. Swept in first round by Dallas.

Broncos: I'd personally be surprised if they win 6 games this year. Offensive line is breaking down which means no more 1000+ yard rushers. Secondary is weak. Can't get help to Bailey. No Wide receivers. Cutler is still too young. The Coach will be questioned.

Rockies: The only team they can beat these days are teams worse than them. And since Texas and Seattle are in another league, they can beat down on San diego and THAT'S IT.

Avalanche: Well, we got rid of Theodore so that's good. However, it looks more and more like Sakic will retire and that's bad. Right now, they don't look like a team that can win more than 25 games next season.

So you're implying the Mavs will be the first seed next year?... That's bold. Fail, but bold.

Well for home teams...

Rays: Will probably get the Wild Card spot and lose to the Red Sox in the ALCS. I don't see them ready for a World Series quite yet, though this success is great enough.

Lightning: 4th place in the godawful Southeast, just finishing above Atlanta.

Bucs: 9-7, 6th seed, lose to Seattle in 1st round.

Orlando: Win the godawful Southeast, lose in conference finals to Celtics. Hedo Turkoglu wins Comeback player of the year again.

Brewers- Right now, we are the hottest team in baseball, and have the best winning percentage since May 20th. Braun is an MVP candidate this year, and Sheets and Parra could be contending for the Cy Young. It's still going to be very tough for the Crew to climb over St. Louis and Chicago, as the three best teams in the NL are all in the Central. I think Chicago is going to fold, and they're starting to already.

Kings (NBA) - Signing Beno to a five year deal was the smartest move this organization has made since trading that wannabe-nigger Jason Williams for Mike Bibby. Beno is only 24 but has been playing professional basketball for ten years, meaning he knows how to control a game better than most others his age. Kevin Martin needs to be locked up into a big deal soon but next year the Kings could make the playoffs in the 6-8 seed because the West is going to experience a huge dropout, namely in Dallas, Phoenix, LA (heard it here first), Golden State, and Houston. We need a big man down low still and I think Hawes needs to step it the fuck up in his sophomore year. Thompson will be groomed for the 09-10 season.

(You may notice my team loyalties are a bit... spread.)

BILLS - Well, if we continue the momentum we had last season and Edwards continues to grow, I think that a Wild Card spot is not out of the question. It's an easy schedule compared to last years, and Lynch SHOULDN'T get injured again.

BOBCATS - lol bobcats. We'll win 25 games or so and be last in the division. Same ol' same ol'.

AVALANCHE - If Budaj can get his act together and play to his full potential, (and half our goal scorers don't get injured) the goaltending may be able to throw them into a 7 or 8 playoff seed. We'll get killed in the first round by Detroit, of course.

ROCKIES - 0-162

Packers- Favre will not play this year despite him saying he's thinking about it. Rodgers has been good in the albeit limited time we have seen him, and the rest of the team can still carry them to the NFC Championship game.

Badgers Basketball- Bo Ryan lost Michael Flowers, Marcus Landry, and Brian Butch to graduation but Trevon Hughes and Jason Bohannon can lead this young team to another BIG TEN championship easily. The hard part will be getting past the Sweet Sixteen.

Badgers Football- This is a team that has the power to be in the top ten in the rankings all year. Senior QB (first year starter though) Allan Evridge will have enough experience from his time in Kansas State to lead the passing attack that is always a second thought in Madison. PJ Hill is a Heisman contender and Travis Beckum is the best TE in the nation. Still, even if we finish in the TOP TEN, the BCS will find some way to screw us out of a BCS Bowl Berth.

My family is from Wisconsin, and I go to UW, but grew up in Sacramento, in case you were wondering.

Sonics - lol

Mariners - lol

Seattle - will take the NFC west as usual and lose in the second round, yearly routine.

Mets: Finish 25 Games back. Miss the post season.
Yankees: Finish 10 games back, miss the post season.

Jets: Silightly improved O-line gets them 2 more wins. 6-10
Giants: Typical slow start but enough wins to secure wild card spot. 11-5

Rangers: The fuck, I don't know, does Messier still play?
Islanders: If you bet me $20 to name one player on their team you'd be $20 richer.

Knicks: See pic.

Texans - I'm feeling good about this season. I'm hoping a 9 or 10 win season. Hopefully Andre Johnson and Schaub are injury-free.

Rockets - I'm a bit pessimistic about this team...For the past 3 years i've been saying that we'll finally get out of the first round of the playoffs. So i'm gonna keep my mouth shut about the post-season.

Astros - Crank it up after the All-Star break, only to fall short.

Aeros - loldunno.

Dynamo - I do not expect another championship ;_;

Rams: improve slightly, go 6-10 or 5-11
Cardinals: Keep cruising and take the NL wildcard.
Blues: improve with some young talent, but are still not able to make the post seasona and finish 10th in the western conference.

I grew up in North Dakota, so when I got into sports I kinda got to choose what I like rather then 'home teams.'

Miami Dolphins- I try not to be too optimistic, but I think I can see six wins with a lot of close calls next season. Definitely a rebuilding year but I will grin and bear it, besides, what haven't I seen as far as fail goes?

St. Louis Blues- Here's an idea, lets take success for the first half of the season and do it for the entire thing. For a team that was one of the best in the NHL in the first half it turned into a complete shit fest down the line. Andy Murray is still my hero though for getting the group to play at all.

New Orleans Hornets- Fan since Charlotte and it seems to finally be paying off, the only light in all the darkness. Without them I would have probably an hero'd.

Seattle Mariners- Well, they won a couple recently... and thats about all I can ask these days. Ichiro is still the best in baseball though.

Just look and see how great my life has been by finding my favorite teams on recent standings lists.

Argos - Could make (Maybe even win) the Grey Cup this year, but meh.

Blue Jays - 2007: *choke*, 2008: *CHOKE*, 2009: *dies*

Maple Leafs - Maybe a bit better next season, but hopes aren't very high. (Finger? LOL)

Raptors - Expect another first-round exit, even with Jermaine "The Glass" O'Neil.

Toronto FC - FUCK THE USA! CANADA WINS MLS!

Orlando Magic: Dwight Howard will get seriously injured in this years olympic games causing him to miss most of Orlando's games next season sending us back to last place in the shitty southeast division. Stan Van Gundy gets fired, Hedo will ask for a trade. The Magic will move to Seattle because Orlando fans are the worst

Indiana Pacers - Bye bye O'Neil! Now we are gonna suck! :(

Indianapolis Colts - SUPER BOWL WIN #3!

Oregon Ducks - Fuck them.

Eugene Emeralds - yay Short season A ball.

Mets: Just missing the playoffs, like usual. But then again, they might surprise us.

Yankees: Making the playoffs, like usual, since they been a much worse off position last season and the Boss will have their heads. Everyone knows they usually bring their game around mid-July to early August anyway. Still iffy if they can make it to the ALCS since their pitching is still shitty.

Rangers/Islanders: Don't care.

Jets/Giants: One will do fine and one will fail. It seem like this is a pattern with these two....

Nets: Make it to the playoffs.

Knicks: I hope they will fail less but I seriously, seriously doubt it since it looks like they STILL don't have all their shit together. Oh well, at least Isiah Thomas is fucking gone (which was LONG overdue) and that's a vast improvement at all counts and now I don't have to be deeply ashamed to admit of being a Knicks fan anymore.

Braves: Usual fail. Francoeur will continue to swing at everthing, Chipper will be his usual douchey self and not hit .400. They will miss the playoffs largely due to their inability to win road games.
Falcons: I'd be surprised if they win 2 games all year.
Hawks: Will stay mediocre, 8th seed in playoffs. Might make a decent run, might get destroyed.
Thrashers: Will be terrible again now that they've traded Hossa. Kovalchuk will score tons of goals, no one outside of Atlanta will notice.
