How good you'll have to be to get a swimming scholarship to a college or university in usa?

I'm from finland and i'd like to come there study, or as a exchange student for a year.

my best times in fly at long course are 56:64 at 100m and 2:02 at 200m.

I don't expect for you guys to know an answer to this. I'm not sure if i even want go there, i'm just curious.

I'm probably too old also? Turning 21 this year.

I doubt 4chan would be the most likely place to get a question about scholorships to college.

Asking 4chan a question about college scholarships is like asking 4chan what the outside of their house looks like.

I think you'd need to pull your 200 down a little, depending on whether or not you have outstanding academics.

Also, is fly your only fast stroke?
What about IM or breast? Free?

you shouldn't get a scholarship as a foriegn student. this is why the olympics were full of athletes from finland and africa that train at american colleges. build your own fucking athletic programs and leave our scholarships alone faggot

To get a scholorship in any sport in an American school that isn't a 'major sport' like Football or Basketball, you have to be really good, like a lock for placing all the time.

Its a sad state of affairs, but a lot of colleges don't like dumping money on athletes that aren't constantly getting them nationwide notice (aka money). Football and Basketball players (and in some cases Baseball if they are consistently good) get a school notice simply by playing every weekend, which is why so much money is sunk into them.
