Citizen's Bank Park (the Phil's home field) is newly constructed. The picture to the left is Miller Park - also newly constructed, home to the Brewers. It's late October in Philadelphia. That means that even on a nice day, you're dealing with temperatures between 30-50 degrees F. (Last night was 34 degrees and raining.) These are not reasonable conditions for a sport like baseball.I was under the impression that man had largely mastered the elements, but last night's World Series game 5 proved me wrong. Why aren't all MLB parks constructed with retractable roofs?
>Selig DrSUCK ENOUGH COCK THERE MILWAUKEE?
The picture to the left is New Yankee Stadium, a newly constructed stadium. It doesn't have a roof because it would look hideous and ruin the scenery.
>>436252That's what a billion dollars buys these days? It's the hue of a dentist office.
>>436252>It doesn't have a roof because it would look hideous and ruin the scenery.>ruin the scenery.*Insert risky 9/11 joke here*
>>436257It's not the real thing.
>>436252I think that domed stadiums can work in the middle of nowhere like in St. Petersburg and Milwakee, but when they're in busy places like New York or Philadelphia, they're just an eyesore.
>>436252yankeefag here and it should have had a retractable roof. btw thats not a real pic its just a prototype the real place looks great.
