He should go to Detroit. Detroit's gonna be a dynasty.

how's detroit gonna turn into a dynasty with boston right there with them and the West as strong as ever?

imagine if they had taken someone actually worth a damn in the '03 draft, like Bosh... or
hell, even Chris Kaman. at least they got rasheed and a title to go with it, but it may have been more.

Did you read that he NEVER swears? Like, ever?

I don't trust him.

I'm a Mavs fan, and I hope the Mavs drop back into Clippers territory after this, Knicks pick Avery up, and get into the Finals against SA/LA next year!

SUCK ON THAT, CUBAN!!

Sound in theory, but Cuban actually WANTS to win a championship, unlike the guy who owns the Clippers, who just wants to fuck prositutes and dodge taxes (that's not a troll; there's an LA Times article on it from LAST WEEK)...

The Knicks have mortgaged their future for the next 3 years (minimum), that's how bad Thomas fucked up. But seeing Johnson in Phoenix or Seattle(/OKC) would be fun; whoever Cuban gets it's gonna be good, because all he wants is a championship (unlike half the owners in pro-sports)

Oh God, not OK Sonics! Well, that would be an ultimate blow to Cuban's ego to let him know he can't be Jerry Jones!

doesn't matter who cuban gets, he won't get the results that avery got.

shit, i'm a houstonfag and i've hated avery ever since he was fagging it up with david robinson and sean elliott up in SA, and i still feel bad for the guy.

Avery was great. He had a great record, the best of any coach in Dallas franchise history. The problem is just the team itself.

Dallas is simply NOT a good enough team, no switching of coaches can change that.
>> Anonymous
The post season woes for the Mavs will end next year because they won't even make the playoffs.

Nuggets should get Avery. he knows how to handle talent.

I think this was the right move for Cuban to make.

I also think this was less than 50% Avery's fault.

I think Avery has a very bright future ahead of him wherever he goes, but he made some mistakes here that "lost" the players. They just aren't paying attention to him anymore.

You can't fire 15 players. You are going to have to, to some extent, build around at least Dirk, if not Dirk/Kidd. So a new coach is in order.

But I also think that Cuban ought to think to the future and start to look to a 4 or 5 that can defend and be a threat in the paint. You just can't win without being able to defend the paint well and have a low post threat.

Dirk is an odd animal and very interesting to watch. But I don't think you win championships with him.

Dirk is just a jump-shooting seven footer, he won't ever win a title as the first option on a team

Miami is going to be a gem for whatever coach goes there next year. I read somewhere that they're promoting Spoelstra, but I can't confirm it. They have Wade, Marion, and either Beasley or Rose. They can add some depth via FA and be in great shape to contend again next year.

Kidd is a moron he should have signed with SA when they wanted him

I'm glad he didn't. They might have lost Parker.

You must not of watched the 1st half of the season. The reason they got Kidd was because they where desperate. They where fucked with or without him. The mavs are soft though

press conference already happened on monday.

Dirk = the softest 7-footer in the NBA. He would rather settle for a fading 10-foot jumper than take it to the rim.

Also he whines.

Dirk will not win a championship. I'm not saying he isn't good, but he's the wrong player to build a franchise around.

I would lol if Avery went to the suns, as i wouldn't be suprised if D'Antoni got fired.

AJ coming on the market is bad news for Dantoni, because it gives them another excuse to fire his ass. Too bad too, the guy is a pretty innovative coach. Not very successful in the playoffs, but innovative nonetheless.
