Official Unofficial Dallas Cowboys Better Than Your Team Thread

Patriot haters from last year, may we have your attention please. We have the best QB in the NFL. The best backfield in the NFL. The best offensive line in the NFL. The best receiver core (WR, TE) in the NFL. The defense probably won't be the best, but pretty damn good. Special teams is amazing. Seriously, name a better team in the NFL than the Cowboys right now.

Also, the current NFC East is hands down the best division in ALL of sports. Cowboys and Eagles are the two best teams in the NFL and the NFC. Giants are the reigning Super Bowl champs. Washington looks like they are getting their shit together. Can't believe the front runners of the AFC are Denver and Pittsburgh. Patriots and Colts lol.

All I can say is, HOW 'BOUT DEM COWBOYS?

HOW 'BOUT DEM BANDWAGONS?
>> Anonymous
We are seeing the same thing as last year:
1. Defense that sucks against good teams.
2. Offense that commits too many errors.
3. Way too many penalties committed.
4. Not realizing winning early in the regular season means shit, and winning in the playoffs is all that matters. They should just look back at their team last year, and then look at the New York Giants team last year that they bragged about beating in a shootout at home early in the season, for that REALLY them helped when they played the Giants again in Dallas in the postseason.

Bottom line: Favorites my ass, Dallas is a gonna get raped in the playoffs.

Peyton struggled in the playoffs before that Super Bowl win but it doesn't change the fact that Romo has choked away two playoffs wins in the past two years. Manning is a far superior quarterback. He calls his own plays and reads defenses better than almost anyone in history. Keep buying into ESPN and fantasy football hype though, you're going to be disappointed when Dallas doesn't win in the playoffs... again.

Oh man. Romo has been the starter for 1 and 1/2 years. Last night was his 29th career start. He's been to the playoffs EVERY year he has played. You're acting like Romo is some 10 year vet. As of right now, Manning is not superior. You can see this from the first two games. Romo has clearly outplayed what Manning has done. Not to mention, the opponents each team has played. Sorry man, but you're wrong. Good attempt though to cover up your severe lack of knowledge about football though.

For fuck sake, the Cardinals have won a playoff game more recently than the Cowboys. How is this year going to be any different? The Cowboys are going to make the playoffs and lose their first game as always. It's an endless cycle.

No, they didn't. They won by 4 points in a game where the offensive line of Dallas inexplicably fell apart in the second half after stuffing the Giants' defense the entire first half. By the time they got their shit together, Dallas was too deep in and it was too late.

The Giants' d-line did a phenominal job and eked out a win, which led to the most epic Superbowl in recent times.

in context to the thread idiot about THIS YEAR
>> Anonymous
>>342195

In all my posts I have yet to mention the dynasty of the 90s. Believe me, I am well aware of the lack of playoff wins since 1996. I've been a fan since I began liking football back around 1990. I remember celebrating the 1992 Super Bowl win in 4th grade. My point is, the ONLY thing anyone can say about the current Cowboys team is they haven't won a playoff game. Newsflash, no one this season has one a playoff game. What happened last year does not matter. Cowboys are the best team in the NFL and have made HUGE improvements to their team. This is the best team/chance the Cowboys have had to win a Super Bowl since 1995. And I am fucking loving it.
>> Anonymous
>>342213

Show me where I brought up the Cowboys winning 5 Super Bowls in this thread, prior to when you posted. Go ahead and try. The only thing you are going to see about past seasons is people trying to prove the Cowboys aren't good this year based upon past seasons. That logic is awful, bad, and anyone who tries to use it is a giant idiot. Case in point, yourself.

This guy has no idea what he is talking about. I live in Dallas, and was at the game last night. Yes there are bandwagon fans, and fans who show more interest now that they are winning. But the majority of the fans in Dallas have been so through the Quincy Carter, Testaverde, Bledsoe, etc years. The fans last night at Texas Stadium were fucking awesome though. I've been to many a Cowboy game, and I don't think I've heard a regular season playoff game get as loud as it did in there. Everyone was on their feet the entire time. Easily one of the best games I have ever witnessed. Props to the Eagles for coming out to play.

Exactly, and they haven't lost one either. Point being, team for team, game for game, as of Week 2, they are the best team in the NFL. All I asked was for someone to prove why they aren't. Yet it's just the same response over and over again that makes no sense.

No offense, but anyone here who is a fan of an NFL team other than the Cowboys always have hated the Cowboys; this current version of the bandwagon is at least 38 years old, and even when the Cowboys suck, goes strong due the love of seeing them suck.

Really, they have (for a long time now) been the NFLs version of the New York Yankees: the team everyone loves to hate (no matter how good or bad that team actually is).

Lets use your criteria then... quality of opponents determines how good you are, and you can only use outcomes from games this season and this season only to determine who the best in the NFC is... okay... Using combined opponent record and reasoning I'll put asterisk (* this is what it is for Cowboy fans) by the top two teams.

NFC- Cowboys, beat Browns (lol, and even without opinion are 0-2) and Eagles, who's only accomplishment is taking the Rams. (1-3 opponents)
Cardinals took out 49ers and Dolphins, both lol teams, so disqualified. (0-4)
* Giants beat out Washington, and big, a team that went and took a favorite from New Orleans the following week. Looked bad for 3 quarters against St. Louis, but got over it. (2-2)
* Panthers, beat San Diego, an AFC favorite who had a tough loss against Denver, and Chicago who played awesome against the Colts and came close in this game. (1-3, San Diego>Browns)
Packers, lookin' kind of better the Favre there Rodgers. Still, the Lions are kinda lol. (0-4)
