Fuck yeah! 13 first round picks for the next 3 years. I am awesome.

if the sonics keep what they're doing (IE getting rid of all their old players and building fresh talent), I wouldn't be suprised if they made the playoffs in 2-3 years.

I almost went to that game. But I couldn't justify giving Dolan more money than I already do through my cable bill.

For accuracy, you need to replace that tower/space needle in the logo with a barn, or perhaps a conastoga wagon.

Fucking Oklahoma.
GET YOUR OWN GODDAMN BASKETBALL TEAM.
Seriously, who the fuck lives in Oklahoma?

Approximately 3.6 million people.

remember when the Hornets were in OKC last year? They sold out damn near every game.

There are less people in the entire state of Oklahoma, than the city of Chicago.

Maybe if you'd all quit fuckin' your sisters.....

>>11626

compared to the people in Washington and the greater Seattle area?

maybe if they just stopped sucking, people would go to their games and they wouldn't have to move.
>> Anonymous
>>11829
That's not why they're moving.
>> Anonymous
>>11822
No, there are more people in Chicago's metro area. The city of Chicago's population is only 2.8 million. gb2/arithmetic/

>>11829
Oklahoma's total population is just a little higher than that of the Seattle metro, but there are cities, television markets, and states smaller than OKC/Oklahoma that currently have pro teams.

And don't give me that performance bs. A true fan supports their team no matter how bad they are. This just proves how uninterested the Sonics' fairweather fanbase is.

Again, that's not why they're moving.

The new owner wants a fancy-pants brand-spanking-new arena in Seattle, where he can have a zillion box seats and probably have his toothless girlfriend suck his cock while he's sitting in one. Seattle said, "Fuck you, this one was built in 1993," and he pulled a Major League and is moving the team. Attendance or not.

There's a little more to it than that. If the politicians hadn't frustrated Schultz to the point he wanted to sell the Sonics, they probably wouldn't be moving.

That said, Bennett didn't intend to keep the Sonics there unless he got even more than Schultz had wanted, and Seattle was obviously going to tell him to fuck off.

Why the fuck should city governments give corporate welfare to poorly run teams? Now, I'm happy that the M's and Seahawks got their stadiums, but I don't think the city of Seattle or state of Washington should foot the bill for any more facilities that they'll give the profits away for. If Oklahoma City wants to waste their money on something that will likely give them zero return, fine by me.

>"Fuck you, this one was built in 1962 then renovationed on the cheap and given guaranteed unprofitable lease in 1993,"
