Is there an maximum age for juniors? I'm not the guy you're replying to, just wondering.

I'm 21 now. Give me a year to get back into playing shape and get my edge back under me for real (haven't skated in ages, a nice little combination of a bum ankle and moving away from any rinks), so can a 22 year old go for juniors?

If not, what's my best shot at making any sort of money playing hockey?
>> Anonymous
>>89729
looks like the limits 20 most everywhere
shit, im 25 and would be happy playing in a minor league roller hockey league, anything semi-pro

I was regularly a goalie, I was brought up to be a butterfly goalie but after 10+ years between the pipes my knees got really torn up, and my recovery time went to total shit... I stopped playing altogether.

I used to play right field for my 2A high school baseball team, which is basically saying I sucked and was placed there so as not to screw things up too much.
I think I had a career batting average of around .250 which was about .80 points lower than the next to worst starter.

Hockey Defense. Transfered from being a Center to being on the blue line. Transition was hard and at first I hated being a D but now I like it.

Lacrosse would be manly if ice hockey didn't exist.

Futbol is manly relative to lacrosse.

lol why do people hate lacrosse.

I can't stand lacrosse, but its a decent sport. I just don't understand the fun of getting the shit slapped out of your arms with metal poles, but then you can't slam anybody to the turf in defense.

On a physical-contact basis, football and hockey make much more sense.

Football: wide receiver, cornerback

Because it's only played by suburbanite pricks too uncoordinated to learn how to skate.

thats odd, i know a lot of hockey players who also play lacrosse. people who talk like you more then likely don't know what lacrosse is and probably wouldn't have the balls to play it. Don't get me wrong, hockey is a great sport and I love to watch and play it, but lacrosse is far more physically demanding and generally a lot harder to be good at.

I guess you got me there, it is a lot harder to skate on ice then it is to run, but besides that yes, just yes.

I guess I can only speak for myself, I've played both at decently skilled levels nothing to spectacular and for me it's a lot harder to catch a ball flying through the air with a 4 foot stick with a net on the end, then it is to pick up a pass sliding on ice. I guess I'd say it's a tie for shooting/passing with any type of accuracy, both can be pretty damn tough. I wonder if it's harder to run past a defender or skate past one, geeze I dunno.

Oh well, both are great sports, actually two of my favorite (besides judo) and I definitly pay way more attention to pro hockey then lacrosse(maybe because of media coverage) but no amount of convincing will change my mind that lacrosse isn't the tougher sport.
