Alright /sp/ let's play GM for our football teams. If you could take one position and plug in a pro bowl type talent (regardless of who is on the market) what position would it be?Everyone can play this game, it doesn't matter if your team is doing outstanding or playing sub .500, coming off of a win or a loss. All teams have weaknesses. For me it would be the position of weak side linebacker. It's the spot most in flux over the last few years for the Giants. We had just started getting outstanding play from Kawika Mitchell in the 2nd half of last season, and off he goes to Buffalo as a free agent. Gerris Wilkinson MAY yet prove himself, but so far, not so good.
Dolphins- Quarterback
>>407503Best be trollin nigga.
Falcons- Cornerback
>>407505Why?That is definately the most glaring weakness the dolphins have.
panthers - saftey
>>407509receiver?D-Line?
Colts: DT
>>407514I'd take a tom brady level talent at QB before anything else. All of the most successful franchises have USUALLY been built around quarterbacks.
Packers: OG
Lions - GM
Pats: Rax Grissman
>>407516>tom brady level talentlulz, EPIC FAIL level talentenjoi losing every game that counts
>>407518lol
Panthers: MOTIVATION.
>>407528fine, Dan Marino level talent.
>>407514I think our 3-4 is doing very well, Porter is getting some great pressure on QBs. Hell he's tied for second in sacks this year.>>407516Told you, trolling.
49ers- Defensive Coordinator.
>>407549Forgot to add receiver was the first thing that came to my mind too, but even then we're not too bad off. Wish we had Chambers still.
Raiders- New owner
Bills: NOTHING! WE ARE THE BEST FUCKING TEAM! HAHAHA SUCK IT BITCHES
>>407549Would you rather have a pro bowl reciever or a pro bowl quarterback?
>>407517/agree.Tauscher, Wells and Clifton have done fine this year but holy shit have Colledge, Moll, Spitz and whoever the fuck else we've thrown in at OG sucked.
Seahawks: A running back that will have more then 1 good season
Arizona Cardinals: OFFENSIVE LINE. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
BEARS: Randy Mossthen Kyle Orton can just toss it up and let Moss do the rest
>>407515Traded for a DT yesterday
Titans: Wide ReceiverThey would be unstoppable.
Raiders ; A receiver with strong enough hands to handle the hardest thrown ball in the league. If those ass hats would have caught every ball that hit their hands, Russel would have a 60% completion rate
>>407691>60% completion rateJust about every starting quarterback in the league has that...
>>407633I don't know what point you're trying to prove with that. I'd rather have a probowl quarterback sure, but that doesn't mean our QB is a problem. We're a run based team and the accurate style play from Pennington compliments it well. The system works, and the weakest part of our team that first came to mind was receivers. That is what the question was, if you didn't notice. Now look what you've made me go and do, I bought into your trolling. Crap.
>>407687I know, but he said Pro Bowl player. I mean someone like Ted Washington.
>>407693Are you stup..er wait, I see what I did there.Of course you are.Just about doesn't mean shit, not only for a.) We're not talking about every quarterback in the league, just one, and b.) He has nowhere near that and as my fellow raidernation member w/ the butthurt here has attested -- would if receivers would keep their fuckin hands around the ball.Round 1: Newfag 0 -- Raider Nation Butthurt 1sigh..we're in for another fuckin long season.
>>407697Quarterbacks make the receivers.c/d
>>407702My point is that if he can barely hit 60 percent even without the drops then that's pretty bad. You need more help than a receiver. How about an O-Line?
>>407708A QBs skill is only as good as his receivers. I'll give Brady as an example, faggot was a mediocre short yardage passer with a running system just like Pennington is.
>>4077831/10Can't do any better than that?
>>407783Come now, i really, really, really, REALLY hate brady. I was cheering and crying tears of joy when he got injured and had an orgasm when the gaytriots lost the superbowl, but he was a damn good quarterback.
saintsrunning back or some secondary help.in b4 deuceeeeeeeeeee and reggie
>>407642>Tauscher, Clifton>done fine this yearlolwut
>>407645If you are talking about Alexander, you are obviously a bandwagon fan.
>>407825Clifton SHUT DOWN Jared Allen in that first monday nighter. And most of the holdings and offsides have been by the retarded OGs.
>>407807We're in the same group it seems then, but I was just using him as an example.
giantstrade plax to a non contender for some solid draft picks
>>407807Even on /sp/, anyone who won't admit this is a troll.
>>407845Really, who hasn't shut down Jared Allen this season? Also, Clifton and Tausch are responsible for a fair amount of holding penalties the past 5 games, while I think the guards are the ones who are mostly responsible for false starts.
>>407865No wai! We just gave Plax a huge contract for a good reason.
chargersWe definitely need a fullback, after Lorenzo Neal got cut LT hasnt been the same
Steelers could really use a backup RB since Mendenhall is out for the season.
>>407914no troll. I fucking hate anything and everything boston.
Chiefs is hard. We desperately need help all along the OL, QB, and in the receiving corps. If I had to choose one position, I guess it would be QB, but I'm not sure how long a Pro Bowler would last behind that line waiting for his crappy receivers to create separation.
Patriots: Trade Richard Seymour and his expiring lardass contract, sign somebody to play right fucking tackle. Also draft a corner who's not a fucking midget.
>>408239Your corners are all between 5'9" and 6'1" which is avg for the league...Giants have a 5'8" corner.I guess I never really understood that though... it's like "hey shorty, cover the tall guy" what kind of sense does that make??? I guess it takes more speed to cover someone than to break that coverage so you need a guy who's slightly faster so you get slightly shorter and lighter guys for the spot...
Let me have a Tommie Harris type on the Cowboys please
>>408967It's not about speed its about acceleration and change of direction. The wide receiver knows where he's going, the corner does not.
Cleveland Browns: Inside linebacker who races to the ball, hits a ton and intimidates over the middle.Sort of like Ray Lewis without the criminal record.
>>408979Exactly what I meant, you said it much better.
I would like Andre Johnson or a pass rush.
Patriots: GODDAMN WILL SOMEONE HELP OUR SECONDARY PLEASE
>>407677>1. Randy Moss
Pats: CB, followed closely by FSJags: anyone who agreed to not get killed/injured before the first game of the seasonBroncos: a defense...
Cowboys: Bobby CarpenterREPLACE HIM, CUT HIM, ETC.
I'm a Bears GM now. Can I get coaches who don't suck narwhal penis?brb, drafting CJ bacher
Vikings: New stadium. They're going to leave town if they don't get a deal worked out by 2011.
>>407653for penalty purposes right? They do a decent job, assuming the play gets started. fuck.
Eagles - tight end or a fucking strong side linebacker who can cover a tight end. everytime chris fucking gocong drops back in coverage the Dhali Lama devours a baby panda whole
Eagles - DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING
Ravens- I'd take a good QB like Tom Brady or Peyton. Or maybe a big play receiver, like Torry Holt or Marvin Harrison.
