The Giants Super Bowl stunner. The greatest game in NFL history, as a long time giants fan, me and my heart doctor were very close in the following days of the game

I, as a sox fan, just decided to stop caring After G3. I assumed every win was false hope... then they actually won, and bricks were shat.

Then, of course, the World Series was an Anti-Climax. Does the NL Even TRY anymore?

The NL is to the AL what the NFC is usually to the AFC. Except the pats are made of fail and cheat, and thus inferior to NFC faggotry.

1983 NCAA final... Phi Slamma Jamma goes down to 7th-seeded NC state.

Also the biggest choke job of all time - Olajuwon and the Glide were good enough to win an NBA title at Houston, just not a college championship.

As far as surprises go NOBODY on the entire planet predicted #1 Virginia losing to Chaminade. Mostly because nobody had ever heard of Chaminade, who wasn't even NCAA at the time and whose tallest player was 6 foot 8.

I can recite the entire highlight.

"The Mariners are going to play for the american league championship, I don't believe it, my oh my"

Griffey's only real playoff highlight.

NOT a pats fag, I hate the pats

but SB 36 was the biggest shock in the past decade. The Rams were fucking stacked, with Faulk and Warner and Holt and Bruce.

The Pats had a rookie quarterback who was a backup in college. In the playoffs, they beat the Steelers with a fucking miracle special teams play and only beat the Raiders thanks to the Tuck rule.

When they won that Super Bowl...fuck, that was a shock.

Boise State was undefeated and ranked higher

The biggest surprise is Chaminade over Virginia. There has never been a bigger WTF moment in sports.

I can't beleive no one has brought up Michigan's crushing loss to Appalachian State.

This namefag speaks the truth.

What about the Devils being down 3-1 in the Eastern conference Championship, then coming back for the biggest upset in the nhl.

For christ sakes, the Eastern Conference Championship hats for the devils were Orange and black, with a devils logo hastily sewn on there. Even the hatmakers counted them out.

Crushing? Michigan lost by 2 pts. Granted they were expected to win by over 9000 pts, but still, it's hardly "crushing."

Unless of course you're talking about what it did to my ego. Because then you'd be right.

biggest upset of all time to me
>> Anonymous
>>33036

Yeah Boise was undefeated, in the WAC, Oklahoma was the Big 12 champ, Boise was ranked higher, but OU was favored, OU was faster, stronger, experienced. Boise has heart and some damn tricky plays and you can't deny when there was hardly any time left and OU returned the INT for a touchdown that we all thought Boise was done, but no they come back on 4th down with a hook and ladder for a TD, and then go for two in OT to take out Oklahoma instead of tying them.

Best game of all time

People downplay the skill on that Boise team to make it seem like a bigger upset than it really was, but it was definitely one of the greatest games of all time.
