post in this thread if your team still has a shot of winning the division

if the raiders win their last 5 games and the broncos lose 4 of their last 5 the raiders could win the division :D

ALL HAIL ASOMUGHA

He is the Jesus of cornerbacks, does any dare disagree?

This season he has been challenged by quarterbacks a measley 11 times, with only 3 completions for a grand total of 13 yards.

2/3ths of the Earth is covered by water, the rest is covered by Nnamdi Asomugha
>> Anonymous
>>487190
this man speaks the truth.
>> Anonymous
>>487190
I disagree. Why even bother challenging him when the guy on the opposite side could easily be mistaken for empty field. Thus, no throws his way.

>2/3ths of the Earth is covered by water, the rest is covered by Nnamdi Asomugha.

Awesome.
>> Anonymous
>>487190
I think he's the best corner in the NFL, but to be fair him seeing so few passes had a lot to do with how badly Hall was sucking. With Chris Johnson on the other side he should see more passes thrown his way (and more interceptions, too).
>> Anonymous
>>487195
If you'd ever seen him play you'd know that he's as good as advertised.
>> Anonymous
>>487199
dude that line is fucking ancient
>> Anonymous
according to the all mighty wikipedia, in the 2007 season, nnamdi was tested 31 times with only 10 completions

2006 was his best statistical year with 8 ints playing opposite some scrub (cough) named charles woodson, so if you want to use the argument that qbs dont throw his way because the other corner sucks take that into consideration
>> Anonymous
>>487211
sup casualfag,
Woodson was playing for Green Bay in 2006. A fact you could've discovered by clicking the link you pastad. Asomugha is good, but he's not the best in the NFL. Nobody playing for Oakland can be considered the best at anything, period.

Assuming he isn't franchise tagged again, I'd like to see where he goes in FA. He's certainly very good.
>> Anonymous
>>487227
Who's better then?
>> Anonymous
>>487232
depends on what you're looking for, and which cb position
for stats:
Cortland Finnegan
Asante Samuel
Charles Woodson

for man coverage
chris mccalister

for nickel/slot
ronde barber

id cry tears of joy if the dolphins can get him

>for stats:
Asomugha is thrown at less than any corner in the league. What better stat is there than that?
>for man coverage
Raiders play more man coverage than any team in the league. I believe they are the only team to play cover zero.

is lechler better than scifres out of sd?

>> Anonymous
>>487247
I forgot to add that Nmandi is not only great in coverage but also plays the run extremely well. I've seen him make some monster hits on backs and receivers.
>> Anonymous
>>487255
Ain't gonna happen. He's from Cali, he played at Cal, he's staying at Oakland until someone offers him more money than the Raiders will. Which they wont, because Al Davis has already said he'd kill to keep Nnamdi
>> Anonymous
>>487190
yes mostly because teams wanted to pick on hall instead. Darrelle Revis would like a word.
>> Anonymous
>>487280

Al Davis always speaks the truth.

He will leave. Somewhere will offer him alot, and he will realize that anything more then 3 years in oakland ruins your career.

>Against the Panthers on Nov. 9, receiver Steve Smith pulled aside Asomugha early in the game and said, "I just wanted to tell you, no B.S., you're the best in the game, and I respect the way you play."

That's funny...in Denver, we maintain that the other 1/3 is Champ Bailey.
>> Anonymous
>>487339
in Tampa we joke that at one point the final third was covered by Ronde Barber, but now he's too busy joking it up on the sidelines and doing tv interviews.

Asomugha will go to the jest this off-season. Revis and Rhodes+Nmandi means "dont bother throwing the ball".

47-0 Pats win
>> Anonymous
>>487352

This is true. Then they have to double coverage him. Then Welker gets on his way to 200 receptions a season. Or they double Welker, and Gaffney can't catch. But at least Faulk and Watson can.
>> Anonymous
>>487352
>>487388
You guys are going to rage so hard when Asomugha shuts Moss down.
>> Anonymous
>>487374

Maybe not 0, but the Pats will score a buttload. Sure, double cover Moss, but Cassel is throwing 400 yard games like child's play ATM. People saying JEST is the best team but they had to have Favre bail 'em out against a Pats defense that is mediocre at best.
>> Anonymous
>>487391

Moss isn't the one who is on a record setting string on receptions during a game. Plus with Lawfirm/Morris a 1st-and-Goal isn't too tricky.
>> Anonymous
>>487374
Raiders will beat the Pats.
>> Anonymous
>>487339

So where does a Monday night Greg Jennings work into that equation?
>> Anonymous
>>487394

not every team needs to double moss to shut him down, quentin jammer has shut down moss 1v1 pretty much every time theyve met, and i think champ bailey has too
>> Anonymous
>>487425
Randy Moss never did shit against the Bucs when he was with the Vikings.

The Patriots can brag about their offense after they play Pittsburgh.

Hilariously enough, the Steelers will be the only decent defense New England plays all season.
