But, they still get made fun of for making such harsh scheduling decisions such as Tulane, Western Kentucky (RED DRANK!!!), and Arkansas State. Clemson was their only acceptable non-conference foe on paper this year. What's the matter, 'Bama? Was Prairie View A&M not available this year?

>>327541
What a typical, pathetic SEC-type non-conference schedule. Let's look at the current #1 team as an example. Southern California has three slots for non-conference games. One is locked in eternity with Notre Dame, so that's excusable (as are all rivalry hate games). For their other two slots, they chose Virginia out of the ACC (major conference) and Ohio State (duh). No Sun Belt, no MAC, no WAC, not even an MWC team. That's a MAN'S schedule, Bubba!

in b4 SEC speed and other various lame excuses

ZOMG SEC SOOOOOO FAST

Hey, UCLA

Get ready to get raped!

same ol retarded ass sec haters... uga has opened at clemson, vs boise st, and vs ok st the last several years, all of which 'analysts' picked as the OMG UPSET SPECIAL. dawgs rolled, media gives them no credit "they're an sec team, they were supposed to win" etc. it's fucking lose-lose, and we're still going to AZ St next weekend... durrrr sec durrrrrr butthurt durrrrrrrrrr

SEC is easily the best conference everyone knows it. If my team was in the hardest conference in college I'd sandbag @ the start of the season too.Fortunately, my team is in the Pac 10 so we can afford to face a medium name from a mid major

tl;dr, PAC10 fag says SEC is best
>> Anonymous
>>327671
Yet, it's an SEC fag saying we ought to man up more often in order to TRULY live up to our reputation.

Going to ASU after games against Georgia Southern (lol) and Central Michigan...well, at least the Chips are in the FBS.

I love that little snark '(lol).' GSU did better than Central Michigan.

SEC is big time overrated. They are no longer the premier league they once were.

The ol' tried and true saying of "they beat each other up" comment is played out. Not to mention it can be applied to all of the better conferences anyways. And of course by that I mean the Big 12 and PAC 10.

Speed, speed, speed. The speed of the SEC is no longer prevalent. All I heard in the Alabama Clemson game was, Clemson is so fast, speed, etc. You can clearly see this on the rare occasion that a SEC team plays a non conference BCS team. Which by the way is full of lols in itself. Kudos to the SEC for beating Ohio State twice in a row. What a daunting task. I also find it funny how the last 2 years, Ohio State backdoored their way into the championship game. Same can be said to LSU last year too. Granted last year had a ton of upsets, but come on. Loss against Kentucky and then unranked Arkansas? lol. And don't even get me started on Georgia. Why they are #2, or were at #1 is beyond me. Losses against South Carolina and Tennessee? lol. And then a trouncing of Hawaii. A WAC team. A WAC team who played NO ONE of any significance last year, yet was being praised.

Seriously, what a fucking a joke. They just need to implement a playoff system so all of these SEC fanboys can see that they really don't beat eachother up. You'd still lose. And you want to know why?

Because the SEC has no defense. You'll see this when SEC teams stop playing these unranked nobodies. See Tennessee for example. 4 turnovers and you're going to lose? Wow. But come on, playing non conference legitimate BCS teams at their home isn't what the SEC is about. Sure, SEC will take some of those games on, but you better believe it's not at the other teams stadium. I know there are some exceptions, but the general idea is right.

SEC, not what it used to be.

The only ones that say "SEC IS THE BEST" are fans of the SEC. Everyone else knows they're the same old shit like every other division.

Alls I'm hearin is whine whine cry, blah butthurt baww. But nice post otherwise... still, feel free to try and match up any other conference team for team. No please, I'm hoping you will so we can all laugh when you fail.

Also, protip: The SEC team beat the shit out of the supposedly fast team from another conf. Just an FYI note, not really sure what sort of retarded point you were trying to make there, just moar fail in the end.

No way man, they said it on ESPN, it's fucking true!
>> Anonymous
>>327968
So you're assuming this "no longer used to be" means the bowls last year then? Of course I'm the retarded hick for looking at quantitative numbers instead of spouting out comments like "the SEC has the SPEEED" and suchlike.

>>327969
It's a moot point, I agree, but you're willingness to continue bitching doesn't help this tired argument.

At the end of the year, we'll let the numbers speak for themselves.

K. Ignoring pretty much everything said in the post you're replying to, while apparently trying to talk shit (??) about one mediocre pac ten team beating one mediocre sec team... at home... in overtime... by a field goal. lulz, fail less plox sec haters.
>> Anonymous
>>327991
That was ONE bowl from each year, can you not grasp the notion that there were more SEC teams in other bowls (notably BCS) from each of those years?

BTW, I'm the thread OP. I only posted a 'Bama picture because I like the team and hate UGA. I love how this whole argument started by someone bitching about 'Bama's schedule and apparently taking a simple picture as an argument that "the SEC is the best." Grow the fuck up.

a) it still doesnt make sense in the context of this thread, lurk moar
b) only because of meaningless preseason polls

Take the top 4 teams of the Pac 10, Big 12, SEC, and uhhh, hmmm, Big 10 I guess.

Pac 10
Southern California, California, Arizona State, and Oregon

Big 12
Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Kansas

SEC
Georgia, Louisiana State, Florida, Auburn

Big 10
Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Illinois

You're going to sit there and tell me SEC is better by those other teams so much so that debating what the better conference isn't relevant? In case you forgot, Georgia beat Hawaii last year in their bowl game. Florida LOST to terribad Michigan. LSU beat a pathetic Ohio State team. Auburn barely beat the powerhouse that is Clemson. Yeah, best conference, for sure lol.

Also, last year is pretty much a wash anyways with all the upsets and the fucked up poll system. Playoffs, make it happen.
