What do you guys think about the future of the Cleveland Indians? It's looking pretty bleak. Fausto Carmona probably won't be as good as he was last year, and C.C Sabathia will probably be gone by the end of the season, since they can't afford to keep him around and his contract has just about expired. Detroit has been stacking up their team, making the Indians playoff prospects even grimmer.

Last year was their year and they blew it. I blame Eric Wedge's poor judgment. Eric Wedge and Travis Hafner have to go.
>> Anonymous
yeah, hafner blows. blake needs to step it up too.
>> Anonymous
What is it about you Indians fans? You've got one of the good young teams in baseball and all you can do is "Bawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! We're gonna suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!"

You people don't deserve that team.
>> Anonymous
If they want to win the championship they need to learn to control those midges or whatever that fucked up the Yankees last season.
>> Anonymous
>>13640
Yes, having young talent is wonderful, except for the fact that when they finally get some experience their contract expires and they are playing for Boston or the Yankee's.
>> Anonymous
I disagree with you about Pronk. He may have had an off-year last year, but he's still a hot young stud with a lot of potential. I mean, the guy was 2nd on the team in RBI and 4th in runs scored, and 3rd on the team in OPS+, so he's been pretty reliable offensively. Getting rid of him would be eliminating an important offensive cog that may be difficult to replace, especially if it turns out that 2007 was only an aberration.

It was the Clay Buchholz game. The guy didn't realize that he threw a goddamn no-hitter until it came up on the JumboTron after the game was over. And then he told everyone he knew "Oh I went to the no hitter it was awesome!" Fucker couldn't even remember the score.

OP here. Get this Boston shit out of my thread.

Also, I wish someone would comment on Wedge needing to be fired. His poor decisions cost them those last three games against Boston. I mean, Bostons players weren't hitting, they were losing, so they bench them and put in new guys. Indians players weren't hitting, so what does Wedge do? NOTHING. IT'S LIKE THIS EVERY GAME FUCK YOU WEDGE.

Also, Hafner really sucked later in the year. I think getting drilled in the head really messed him up. Hopefully he'll finally get over it and start shaping up this year. They signed him till 2010, I think.

Masahide Kobayashi (?? ??, born May 24, 1974 in ?tsuki, Yamanashi, Japan) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Indians.

From 1997-2007, Kobayashi played in the Nippon Professional Baseball league for the Chiba Lotte Marines.

He was a member of the Japanese Olympic baseball team for the 2004 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal.

He led the Pacific League in saves in 2005, and made his 200th save in 2006, becoming the third player in Japanese baseball to reach the mark, after Kazuhiro Sasaki and Shingo Takatsu.

After the 2007 season, he became the only pitcher to record 20 or more saves seven straight years.

On November 2, 2007, he declared his Free Agency and expressed his interest in playing for a major league club for the 2008 season.

On November 20, he signed a two-year, $6,250,000 deal with the Cleveland Indians. The deal included a $3.25m club option for a third year.
