Hey there everybody. Thank you so much for being here today. Uh, before I start with questions, I'd like to say a few words.

About a year ago, I asked God for a sign. I asked him "Lord, do you want me to return to football? Because I will, just give me a sign Lord.". He gave me a sign, the sign being my daughter's eyes. I don't know what it was about them, but when I looked at her happy eyes, I just felt inspired and that I could do anything in the world.

Dennis Green has been very good to me. He always has. And this season was memorable to say the least. I won the MVP and I can safely say that is the real sign God wanted me to see. But he stopped short of giving me the Super Bowl. I'm sure he had his reasons. This was our year. This was our season. I could be sitting before you as Super Bowl champion, but this isn't the case.

To end, I'd just like to say: Thank you. Thank you to the people of Minnesota, my old fans in Philadelphia, and to everyone all over the world. I think I am living the dream of everyone who has been told they can't do it. Never give up your dreams. I'll see you next season. *breaks down in tears*

...that's it, I'm done.

Remember those long, hard years for Philly fans? Constantly getting bounced out of the playoffs, getting key guys injured (one of them killed in an accident), then having the team scatter every which way after unrestricted free agency was introduced to the NFL...

But yeah, Randall Cunningham was awesome.

He signed with the Eagles for a symbolic retirement

This was post-1998 NFC Championship when the heavily favored Vikings lost in OT to the Falcons, setting up for the most boring Super Bowl in ages. Sad stuff. He came back next season but got benched in favor of Jeff George in what was the last truly great Vikings season.

Played a little in Dallas and Baltimore, called it quits.
