I'M PLAYING WITH A TORN LIGAMENT IN MY ELBOW AND I'M STILL LEADING THE LEAUGE IN OPS, BA, AND SLUGING, AND OPB. AND I PLAY GREAT DEFENSE AND I'M STILL NOT A LOCK FOR MVP?

WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT? I'M FUCKING INJURED AND I DON'T BITCH ABOUT IT. I'M GOING TO NEED FUCKING TOMMY JOHN SURGERY ON MY FUCKING ELBOW AND YOU FUCKING WRITERS ARE GOING TO TRY TO GIVE IT TO DELGADO? FUCK THAT SHIT. LET DELGADO TRY THIS SHIT WITH A BUM ELBOW, SEE HOW LONG THAT LASTS.

Too bad the Cards suck and the MVP is given to a player who makes a difference on his team. Even Pujols can't make the Cards repeat '06

They may finish with a decent record and in that case it could be a situation similar to Ryan Howard winning in 2006.

Metsfag here. Pujols should definitely get the MVP. Cards are still in the playoff hunt and it'd be impossible to say somebody with those stats didn't have a major impact on his team.

Well lets see, Delgado had a bad hip, wrists (had his wrists broke when Dontrelle Willis got wild with a fastball).

If CC Sabathia is in the mix for Cy Young, why can't Delgado be in the mix for MVP?

Well, Delgado did have his 7th multi-homer game of the year. Cards have been in relatively the same spot in their division all season, while the Mets were 7 1/2 games behind when Delgado started his "resurgence." Delgado's play has had relatively more impact on his team's performance than Pujols, in terms of improving in the standings.

Because the first two months of the season still matters? Baseball is a six month season, not two months.

the first two months count, but it's what happens in the tought spots that also gets remembered by the mvp voters. delgado isn't hitting homeruns when the mets are already up 8-2, he's doing his run production when it counts and is, along with the mets starters, helping the team get wins.

tl;dr cardinals won't make the playoffs, puljos juices, delgado gets mvp
