It was great up until Torry Holt and Winslow Jr. Why those two? Still pretty good. ROLB - LT = FUCK YEAH.
>> Anonymous
>>57964

I picked Torry Holt because I think he will be a future HOFer and he would be a good complement to Rice. I know Kellen is young but out of potential and his last to years he was dominant.

>>57962
JIm Brown was a fullback
>> Anonymous

>>57970
He was more of a running back.
>> Anonymous
>>57970

i think he was everything
>> Anonymous
>>57972
RB=FB or HB

Retards keep using RB instead of Halfback. The running back is the featured back that gets the carries. In the old days the Fullback position was the "RB" of some teams.
>> Anonymous
>>57962
and instead of Winslow, why not try Jay Novacek or Mike Ditka
for wide reciever, how about Michael Irvin, Fred Biletnikoff, Lance Alworth, Art Monk, John Stalworth, or Andre Reed?

and you left out Bronko Nagurski as Fullback.
>> Anonymous
>>57977
yeah but still, he was a Fullback, which IS different than Runningback, but still, he deserves a place somewhere on the all time NFL team.
>> Anonymous
>>57987
As a FB he is a RB.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Running_back

It should be something like this...

HB- Barry Sanders
FB- Jim Brown
>> Anonymous
>>57984

The list wasent just for best all time it was who I think would go well together personall favorite players.
>> Anonymous
Favre and Brown are so overrated. Especially Brown. Yeah he ran for so many yards back when you had 190 pound linebackers and primitive defensive schemes.

Favre just has way too many interceptions to be considered the best.

HB - Bo Jackson
QB - Peyton Manning
>> Anonymous
>>57996
>Brown, overrated.

HUUR DUURRR!?
>> Anonymous
>>57998

Yeah, I know. But you'd be surprised how many people think he was the best runner ever based solely on numbers on a piece of paper- despite not watching any of the games he's played in.
>> Anonymous
>>57996
Bo jackson was damn good, but he got injured too quickly. Being the best is about longevity, and he was in the league for, what, 3 years?
Jim Brown was good, but not best. neither was Brett Favre. that being said, i cannot name any other QB that would fit, there's just too many.
As for FB, Bronko Nagurski
>> Anonymous
Brown isn't overrated he just played in a different era. Players are so jacked and things are so complicated than they were 30 or so years ago. I mean do you think Babe Ruth could hit agaisnt pitchers of today?
>> Anonymous
>>57994
agreed. Barry Sanders or Walter Payton should take the RB position.

and theres no deacon jones on that list.
>> Anonymous
>>57994
agreed, and earl campbell is his backup

Peyton isn't even in the top 5. Joe Montana/Dan Marino, nigguh pls. Even Tom Brady is better than Manning.
>> Anonymous
I just noticed the defensive slots. Where the fuck is Deion?
>> Anonymous
>>57962

wtf @ Favre, Alstott, Winslow Jr., Tommy Kelly, and Aeneas Williams? Moar liek Montana, Csonka, Kellen Winslow Sr., Jamal Williams, Deion Sanders pls.
>> Anonymous
>>57996
>>58013

lol Brown is the best ever period. Look at highlights he was dominating like no one else. ever. I dont care who it was against. Calling him overrated is stupid, he was fucking great and left in is prime. He could of played for 6 or 7 more years.

>>58022
I forgot about Deion. I love the man, so replace
Bailey for him.
>> Anonymous
>>58030
Tommy Kelly was a joke.
>> Anonymous
Hey you people make a list!
>> Anonymous
>>58031

It's very easy to call him overrated when people like you call him 'the best ever period'. I'm probably being trolled here so I'll keep it brief but he was a man among boys in terms of both size and agility. Who were his contemporaries? You can't name a single one. Nowaday athletes like Brown are the norm, not a rarity.
>> Anonymous
>>58129
Ok, but that was not his fault. You cant punish him for not being born 25 years later. You can only judge him by what he did in his time, and that was destroy everything that got in his way. Also if Walter Payton was in to days era he wouldint be that good either. By your logic maybe we should take out everyone that got into the HOF before 1993.

HAHAHAHA WOW.
Everyime I see this post I fuckin laugh my ass off. The face alone is win.
But the point of this topic is the OP's own opinion of his NFL team people who OP thinks would gel together well. However wrong they may be.
>> Anonymous
yes, crisp route runners like Jerry Rice and Torry Holt would totally flourish with a gunslinger like Favre under center

jesus christ
>> Anonymous
>>58650

The Niner teams of the 80s were so much better than the packers in the 90s. Because of this it is not fair to look at super bowl rings as an adequate representation of Favre's worth. He got screwed over by the organization. Besides Reggie White can any non-Packer fan name three Packers from that team? No. Favre did it by himself, whereas Montana had Rice, Craig, lott, and countless others.
