Dodgers 2008 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS.

A Dodgers vs. Red Sox World Series needs to happen.

Lakers vs. Celtics x 1000.

18-1

Who cares?

The current Dodgers can probably beat the three other teams.

Furcal is coming back soon, and then we get Saito as well.

DODGERS VS. RED SOX

Make it happen, MLB.

You can rig games, so give us the most watched World Series in 10 years.

18-1

The Red Sox will go 8-0 during the playoffs, and then they will lose the next one 8-1...then lose the rest.
>> Anonymous
>>332156
Then win the rest of the games thus making 8-1 irrelevant.

Current score is 4-2, not 5-2.

You sure do suck at math, it's 4-2.

You must live in LA.

You really think Dodgers in a World Series is a bigger draw than the Cubs?

L.A. is a bigger market than Chicago.

Personally, I'm hoping for a Dodgers-Rays series.

Since there seems to be a lot of LAFaggotry in this thread:

Is it just me, or is the Giants-Dodgers rivalry kind of 'meh' lately? You knocked Webb out of the Cy Young chase for us, we broke the D-backs in half to double up your now-formidable lead in the NL West...

Also doesn't help that we suck, and you've got a legit shot at the pennant.

c/d?

Don't worry.

We still hate you.

...But thanks for the Dback sweep. Very much appreciated, Giants.

- Love, The Dodgers.

To be fair, they are in a technical sense; Wrigley Field has 42,000 seats, while Dodger Stadium has 56,000 seats.

HOWEVER, more people will watch or listen to a playoff series on TV/Internet/Radio if the Cubs are playing then the Dodgers, which is a shame considering Vin Scully rapes all other announcers.

Stadium capacities? What? Are you fucking stupid?

Chicago metropolitan area: 9,785,747 people
Los Angeles metropolitan area: 17,755,322 people

All the World Series announcing is farmed out anyway to those airbrushed Fox faggots c/d?

local teams still keep their local feeds at least on radio.

7-2 Dodgers.

WE'RE GOING TO MANNY UP THE WORLD SERIES
>> Kilgamayan !2BklmILFiE
This trade could ultimately be even bigger than first assumed. Manny could the only hope any non-Arizona NL team has of reaching the World Series, because I can't see Webb/Haren/Johnson losing a 5-game series (or Webb/Haren/Johnson/David losing a 7-gamer) in the senior circuit half of the bracket.

>>332279

Uh, the D-Backs are fucking awful now.
>> Anonymous
>>332279

Haren hasn't reached the 5th inning three starts in a row, Webb outside of tonight's start has been equally awful, and Randy Johnson is an old, old man whose back is hurting.

Also, the Dodgers 1-2 punch of Billingsley and Lowe aren't bad either. It gets dicey after that though, with Kuroda who usually pitches like shit on the road, Maddux is so fucking old and should have retired, and basically pitches batting practice balls, and young Clayton Kershaw, who's only 20 and well, fucking young. He'd likely get shut down anyway due to reaching his innings count by Oct.

Nobody's going to score on the Dodgers bullpen though. We have the best relief corp in the NL.

ROFL Diamonbacks just pulled Brandon Lyon trying to close the game after he gave up a two-run, two-out, bases-loaded single

Arizona up by one now, tying run at third, go-ahead run at first
