Celtic fan here.
Time2reason.
Rangers are better this season, no doubt. They'll probably win the league, and I wouldn't put it past them to win the Scottish Cup as well.
Can't see them winning the UEFA Cup, think Bayern will win that, but they've done well to get as far as they have.
And yeah, in general, history shows that rangers have been the better team, with them having won more cups, leagues etc. than Celtic.
However, it was Celtic who cemented Scotland's place in European history. Winning the European cup in '67, coming 2nd in '70.
Then with Celtic's run into the Final again recently, losing narrowly to Porto.
Yes, in between there wasn't really much happening, but still, Celtic have, without a doubt, been the more prominent Scottish team in Europe.
Also, from what I've seen from news reports, and speaking to people from cities both Rangers and Celtic have played in, it seems to be the case that these people feel Celtic fans are indeed nicer.
And I'd have to agree, from personal grass roots level. Playing against a Rangers Supporters club, after we won the game, both their players and fans stormed our dressing room screaming that stupid "WE ARRA PEOPLE" thing.
TL;DR Rangers - Better historically in domestic football
Celtic - Better in Europe.
