Sup /mia/

Look, I know that /mia/'s sports teams fucking suck balls. But you know what? I love them anyway. They're the hometown team.

Florida Marlins = garbage. Two World Series titles and nobody gives a shit. Empty seats at Dolphin Stadium. We play in a park that's not meant for baseball. At least we're getting a brand-new ballpark at the former Orange Bowl site that has a retractable roof. That should increase attendance and revenue so we can get some fucking good players.
Miami Dolphins = garbage. 1-15 last season. However, the Dolphins are one of the most valuable teams in the NFL and sell out every home game. Why? Because we have a storied history in professional football and a fandom that's deeply entrenched in the culture of South Florida. True fans never give up.
Miami Hurricanes = crap college football team owned by Jews, 'nuff said. Good baseball team, though.
Florida Panthers = "Hockey in Florida? No way!" That's until the third-year franchise made it to the Stanley Cup finals. However, since moving north to Fort Lauderdale, their performance has been very lackluster of late. Bigger following in Broward County than in Dade.
Miami Heat = How can you go from being world champions one year to being the worst two seasons after? Somebody better ask Pat Riley. He'll refund your season tickets.

Your owners aren't interested in getting good players. Every time you've had good players, you gave them all away, the day after the season ended. Twice.

College football teams do not have owners.

>Miami Heat = How can you go from being world champions one year to being the worst two seasons after?
Because Pat Riley sucks.

Yeah, they don't. But the school has owners...who are mostly Jewish. A big bulk of the regular student body is Jewish as well. That's why locals call it the "Jewniversity of Miami" or "Jew-M." The only minorities that attend UM are on athletic scholarships. This is the truth. You cannot deny it. Only snobby rich honkies from the Northeast (Jews included) attend UM.

Tampa Bay Lighting much?

>How can you go from being world champions one year to being the worst two seasons after?
Ask the Raiders (not champions, but they made it to the Superbowl at least).

I'm a huge Dolphins fan though, no matter what. I don't live in Miami though, I don't have a clue as to what you're referring to as >fandom that's deeply entrenched in the culture of South Florida.

Wha??

They have a couple bad years and they are crap?

They'll be back. Christ, be patient.

Dolphins will rebound too, eventually.

Marlins, Panthers, and Heat on the other hand, will always suck ass.

Of course they will. They lost so many games by a field goal last year, and Ronnie went out half way through.

How is his coaching career doing now?

Say what you want about Pat Riley and the Heats, but plenty of other teams would gladly trade 5 years of sucking for one championship title.

I am by no means a fan of bama or nick saban, but he's going to win multiple national championships in the next 15 years.
