that settles it then?

Yeah. Coaches are so obsessed with the big play killing them that they let other teams do little dink plays to get into the endzone accomplishing the same damn thing.

It's pretty bad, which is a shame, since talent is only getting better.

Punters have been amazing this year.

Im really disappointed with the conservative play as well.

I mean really who the hell plays conservatively hoping they get the ball in overtime....

Playoffs?

That is true. I say they should test more punters for steroids.

Something seems fishy.

I'm seeing a lot of 45-60 yard net punts, and don't get me started on the Janikowski 76-yard FG.

Someone needs to put these uppity kickers in their place.

Should they not have made it, the Ravens would have had the ball at the Pittsburgh 40 with a little under two minutes to go. I would rather bet on my defense protecting a score the legnth of the field (in OT or after that punt), rather than depending on them to stop the Ravens from getting a simple 10 yards. Not to mention, they'd still have to make it another 30 yards if they even got that first down.

It's conservative, but it's also smart coaching. I was hoping you sleeping on it would change your thoughts, blackstar.

You play to win, you don't play not to lose.

Shanahan knows this. Other coaches in the league can't seem to understand the concept.

I believe punting the ball in that situation is playing to win, especially given how great the Ravens defense was playing.

Bad coaching? No way...

That's a bit more understandable. Kornheiser kept going off on Flacco's arm strength, them not chucking the ball down field at least once I can agree with you on. I don't know if they have the offensive stars to run a productive two minute offense though, so I'm guessing that's what they figured.

He must have forgotten it when he played the chiefs.
