I doubt that, those small climbs don't bring enough points...

But more interesting questions
-will Kirchen be able to defend the maillot jaune?
-who of the so called favourites will lose all chances of winning the tour?

I think today Kirchen will be able to arrive the finish with his stronges opponents while Cunego who already had problems in the Massif Central will lose all his chances
also Andy Schleck and Kreuziger will lose the top tep out of their sight

David will try. You can always expect that sucker to try everything he he can whenever he can.

It'll be a very fun stage.

The Pyrenees are close. Orange is the dominant colour now...
So, will Euskatel grab a stage win today or tomorrow? Or grab the polka dotted jersey?
your opinions /sp/?

Dunno, they're closing on the peloton pretty quick with the first big climb coming up.

Do you thing Valverde will win again something on the tour this year ?
>> Anonymous
>>213197

I hope so, at least a couple of stages anyway. He's at the back of the peloton at the moment though - so he won't be doing it today.

'cause he is chilling
he and his helpers were quite relaxed there, maybe he was just to the doc again
just look at the difference between his face and most of the other folks around him...

>>213203

Yeah I don't think he's in any trouble - just doing as little as possible today. De La Fuente looks chilled out as fuck even though he's flying up that mountain.

Action!

And Kirchen looks beat. He didn't react to any attack, while the others rought the peloton back together. Also he is isolated in the last third of the group and not behind the Caisse train..

Riccoooooooooo!

Fuck. That was an awesome attack from Ricco.

Kirchen can't climb for shit so no major suprises there.

He might take the stage.

Roccò, that is.

Riccò, that is.

Sure he is not the best climber but he did improve quite a bit
see tour de suisse
and since that that aint the hardest climb and maybe except those who try/tried to win the stage (Ricco, Schumacher) nobody went full force
it is a bit disappointing/surprising
>> Anonymous
Finally a counterattack out of the peloton... but I think it comes too late. Riccò is going to take it.

Ricco is made of awesomeness.

Ok, everybody. Tomorrow is the 14th of July. French national holiday. All french riders are hot and want the stage win. They will attack from km 0 on and hope that their group will make it to the finish before the the riders battling for the tour win catch up.
I think Kirchen will lose the maillot jaune tomorrow. He made it over the top with his opponents today but only because they climbed with a very constant pace. Tomorrow there will be attacks and I fear he won't be able to counter them.
Caisse looks like it is the strongest climbing team but is Valverde good enough to win the tour. Usually winning the Dauphine Liberé is a bad sign for winning the tour. But for him was quite a relaxed day today, as for Evans if he hadn't crashed, no real attacks they had to counter. Schumacher too weak, he is more the classics guy, Ricco too far behind, he sucks in time trial. So both could save strengh and lick their wounds.
Tomorrow I believe will be different. How bad are the injuries of those two. How strong are Menchov and especially Sastre. The latter, always one of the favourites in the last years couldn't live up to the expectations put into him. This year, thanks to the Schleck brothers not even in the spot lite of CSC, he is doint better than the years before, I really wonder how strong he is.
And what about Sanchez and the rest of the Euskatel team. Impressive train on today's stage but in finale nothing to be seen of them. Sure Sanchez and Astarloza made it over the top with the first group but usually their presence is much more obvious on the stages in the Pyrenees.
And how long will Vandevelde stay there? Unspectacular and out of the focus of the cameras, the US boys somehow made himself comfortable in the top three.

I'm curious if Lang can continue yesterday's ride. He isn't in a bad position to go for the maillot a pois rouges.

And they're away!

no, because first of all he isn't a climber, second he is one of the riders i'm quite sure who doesn't dope and third as we could see de la Fuente will have an eye on him and finally somebody from todays break-away can take the polka dotted jersey away from de la Fuente by winning the two climbs of the HC

Anyway, it is lokking promising for the break-away, so who will win out of that group?

<--and will this happen?
