any americans like australian rules football, or know of it?

I know OF it, but being as it's never on TV, it's not possible to follow it. They show highlights from time to time but not enough to really get a grasp on the rules.

Yes! I miss being able to see it here in the US.

Back in the olden days when Aussie Rules was shown regularly on the old SportsChannel, they did an excellent job of explaining the rules without talking down to the audience. I would by no means say those features would turn an American into an expert, but it was certainly enough to get a basic grasp on the game so it could be enjoyed. I for one think it's a shame that fucking poker or Bolivian soccer gets higher ratings in the US and that nobody will carry it anymore besides on pay-per-view.

A little gayer than rugby as all the "big" hits are cheap shots and elbows.

I disagree. I can see the gayness in the AFL, but there's NOTHING gayer than rugby...period.

I know what you mean, man. I'd kind of like to watch it sometime, but like was said it's never on TV here.
