Also because in our unique evolutionary tract males have evolved to have their genitalia visible from almost every angle while females have evolved to have their genitalia invisible from almost any angle.
The reduced contrast between males and females as compared to other great apes is also a sign of this, as males are not often much stronger and bigger than the females relative to other great apes.
We are pretty unique in our reliance of females in sexual selection, in many other species closely related to us the male has almost all of the sexual selection, the way chimps and gorillas reproduce would be considered rape in most human cultures.
The dependence on females for sexual selection has added to our intelligence and strength, as women would tend to have sex with the chief of a tribe, who would tend to be the strongest and smartest.
This has also added an increased respect for things such as art and comedy, which add nothing to the struggle for survival, but regardless most females would chose to have sex with men who display those traits.
