Fucking epic. They are going to pay him MORE money to sit at home in his kitchen and drink lemonade.

It's a slap in the face, Brett should show up to camp and play.
>> Anonymous
lawl, they should release him just so we can see favre's spirit crushed completely when nobody picks him up.
>> Anonymous
>>226234
that wouldn't happen. he's still a decent qb and someone would pick him up for the name alone
>> Anonymous
Why don't they just trade him for Rax Grissman? They both love throwing into triple coverage...it's a wash.
>> Anonymous
why does favre have negro hands?
>> Anonymous
>>226255
.................. OH SHIT.
>> Anonymous
this is just pathetic.
they don't want him back, they don't want to trade him, they don't want to release him, they don't want him to play for someone elese, they DO want to pay him for sitting in kichen and drink lemonade, just like OP said

God the faggot is staying where he belongs.

i don't understand how throwing away 20 mil benefits the organization, this is just getting weird.
>> Anonymous
>>226272
It does because it gets him to shut the fuck up. He isn't relevent anymore but there's faggots out there who still think this little shit is.
>> Anonymous
Management are a bunch of internet tough guys that don't want to look weak letting Brett back in. However they're a bunch of sissy faggots for begging him to come back in the first place a few years ago.
>> Anonymous
Just fucking release him and be done with it.
>> Anonymous
>>226276
ok it shuts him up for now... but what happens when they start playing .500 ball? the media and the fans are going to go berserk because they threw away 20 mil to keep the better qb away...

Thompson and other involved GB management just wants to keep Their job. They drafted Rogers, they invested all this time and money into him, and next year he's a free agent. If Brett is competing for the starting job, he'll win it. If he plays again this season and does well(and there's no reason to believe the Pack will completely tank this year), Rogers will see he isn't needed. There are A LOT of places that need a QB. And he's a free agent next year. So if he just up and left Green Bay, never playing a full season, getting paid some good money to be a backup, it would be seen as a failure. If that happened they'd have basically wasted a draft pick, salary cap, and training for somone else's starting quarterback. And for Rogers, if Brett continues to be the starter, it makes all the sense in the world to take whatever lucrative deal other teams throw at his feet.

Green Bay wants to keep Rogers, and Brett staying retired is the only way.

Anyone else think Favre is just doing this for the lulz since there's no way he has anything better to do?
>> Sneak !!+y8MDiWrdyT
If the Vikings want him so bad, why don't they just trade their first round pick to get him?
>> Anonymous
>>226290
Even better. And on top of it all, he's getting paid for it. Favre: TROLL OF THE YEAR!
>> Anonymous
>>226292

Maybe they're having too much fun laughing at Green Bay being the unfortunate one for once.

But are most likely waiting to see if he's released so they don't even have to waste a draft pick. The Jets and Bucs aren't offering much, so I really think it's only a matter of time before we see Favre in purple.

GB also doesn't want to be the team known to RELEASE BRETT FAVRE

it's double-edged sword of pride

but i will continue to LOL at their retarded front office. way to pay favre more cash to sit on the bench

you dumb fucks

>way to pay favre more cash to sit on the bench
This is even better. Now they're paying him more, to sit at home in a kitchen and drink Lemonade.

Sorry, guys. We already got that "RELEASING BRETT FAVRE" title sewn up.

Speaking of which...can we have him back now, GB? Our last guy got too black.

Actually, he might be going to Chicago. Bye Rax.

Favre has a no-trade clause so he's not going anywhere he doesn't want to. If he's not taking the 20 mil to do nothing then it's not about the money, for him right now it's Green Bay or Green Bay.

If they try to make him a backup I'd bet money that AJ Hawk or KGB or someone just nails the shit out of Rodgers in practice. The guy's made of glass anyway.

I bet ESPN is real fucking excited now, the longer this goes on the more people watch the first regular game of the season that airs on ESPN.

Favre was just trolling when he talked to Minnesota, and ESPN loved it so they decided to say he'd want to play for them. Now THAT would have been a great monday night game.

favre doesn't want to play in green bay, that's the main reason he retired and then asked to be released

>>226442

I'm pretty sure the entire team probably hates the living shit out of Brett right now.

>>226460

This team carried him to the NFL Championship game, and he completely fucked up and cost us the Super Bowl.

What the hell else other receiver core could make him look good?
