Olympics may not be as prestigious as the World Cup and EURO(or even the Copa America), but is still awesome to watch. Because it's not really important, you get to see really great matches, unlike the the WC&co., where no team wants to take any chances.

>>212223
Argentina have the best team, certainly, but Brazil and Italy aren't that far behind. Also, the Dutch could also put a good squad together.

High quality international football tournament? I'm always interested in that. Can't wait for this to start.
>> Anonymous
>>212226

Yeah, we will have some tough opposition for sure. What's great is that there will always be some young players who we may not have heard of before who make a big impact in this competition. So for that reason there is more suprises in store than a regular senior level tournament.

Not the final squad.

So, who are the players to watch out for? Not counting the likes of Messi, Aguero, Pato,...
>> Anonymous
You cant tell me Dunga didn't call up Lulinha.
Lulinha is fucking nasty.
Also Diogo.
I think between one of those two and Pato, Brazil's strike-force can be more potent that even Argentina's.

Messi, Aguero, Acosta and Lavezzi? Sorry, but Brazil doesn't even come close to this awesomeness.

ronaldinho has been barred from going by barca
>> Anonymous
>>212578

Yep that's true. He's due to turn up at Barcelona on Monday for his pre-season medical but is refusing to return from Brazil because he wants to go to the Olympics. He'll probably get fined over this - not that he cares - but it makes his situation at the club a lot worse. The manager doesn't want him, he doesn't want to be fit, the club want to sell him for too much money and Milan don't want to pay anything for him because it's too much of a risk.

Pretty sad that his career ends up like this. I hope something gets sorted soon.

>>212636

It's pretty common for clubs to block their senior players from going to the Olympics (see Kaka at Milan also), but given that this could make him rediscover his fitness and form it's a strange decision. So it's either "Club Policy" blah blah blah, or the Milan deal is back on so they want him around in case it goes through - Or most likely Barca are afraid that R10 just wants to go to China for a month long drinking session with his entourage.

Kun's been getting a lot of attention, but i think he can live up to the hype.

Giovinco will prove if he can really play agaisnt decent defense.

Pato has nice flair, nice dribbling, he can score some goals, but he needs to improve his finishing.

Messi?, lol no. Cant even be fit for a whole season. inb4 "HES THE NEXT MARADONA, BAWWWW".

Rossi... Well, he has a lot of future, but hes not THAT good yet.

My bet would be Kun, Giovinco or Pato.
