Does anyone else here watch this?

I like to watch it if I happen to be up on the computer when it airs or if Im about to go to bed.

I really enjoy Mike and Mike. The problem is that they're only on air for about a third of the program, the rest being repetitive SC updates and other filler junk. Sometimes I just dvr the recap show in the afternoon, which boils it down to a half hour of content.

So fucking true. I'd rather watch 6 sportscenter repeats than listen to the endless plugs and the nonstop breaks in the conversation.

ESPN Radio Insider is free now, you can just download a podcast of the show and listen to it later in the day without any of the ads.

I get why they need to do voice commercials, but i'm sure the multitude of TV ads more than covers their salaries. But hey, ESPN is a business, and they found a cash cow.

did they do a voice over for a domino's commercial? i swear it sounds like them

Battle for the Butter

I love Mike and Mike, they have such good chemistry together and present such differing viewpoints it's nice. It was cool they got to do that Monday night game with Jaws. I wish they got more spots like that.

That was the worst-announced game since Theisman and Maguire were in the booth together.

I suppose you would rather listen to Madden?

Yeah, actually, as much as the old fart stutters.

He's got a football voice, uses football terminology accurately, and knows playing technique. He'll even talk about (gasp!) lineplay.

Aikman is also good for that, as is Collingsworth when he does color commentary, though he's kind of a douche.

The reason they won the game today was points, you put more points on the board and you come out with a win.

Like that?

I liked those guys. They were way better than the MNF shithole of Al, the fat guy and Dennis "Even Harvard grads have no idea what the fuck he is talking about" Miller. In fact, they were way better than the MNF booth with Kornhoser, they if they replaced him with, say, someone who PLAYED in the NFL, it would be better.

Chris is ok in the NFL Network booth for live games, but Gumble needed to get out of there. He would be fine for pregame/halftime/postgame shows, but not the actual fucking games. Hell, his brother should have been the one in the fucking live booth, he is way better than him at play-by-play.
Wait, Bob Papa is taking over for Gumble at the NFL Network. Fucking who?

They are radio first, that is why they have all the ads.
