/sp/,

I went to a Dodger game today. I haven't been to a Dodger game in years (I grew up here in the 80's, moved to Richmond, VA in 1990...I'm on vacation now, first time back in a few years, my first Dodger game since 1989). They played the Anaheim Angels and lost 1-0. The crowds were very hostile to each other, waves of red and blue, even a handful of fistfights broke out, and plenty of "ANGELS SUCK!" chants. I understand that they're interleague rivals and everything...but I'm not really used to pro sporting events and the rival crowds (I'm from fucking Richmond, the closest thing we have is college football). I asked a fellow Dodgers fan "Is it always this bad when the Angels come up to play?" and he shook his head, saying "This is nothing compared to a Giants game."

So, my question is....how violent is a Dodgers/Giants game?

You'd have to ask a ghost. They all died.

Not as bad as any other ballpark. Opposing fans get food and obscenities thrown at them nonstop, not even children are safe. I've done alot of traveling, and to tell you the truth, the worst I've seen is Mets-Yankees.

BTW, did you sit in the right field bleachers? For $35, you get a ticket and all the nachos and Dodger dogs you can eat.

There's fist fights everywhere, beer being poured down on each other, and a Dodgers fan shot a Giants fan one night after a Dodgers loss to the Giants.

Basically, all the Raiders fans moved on to the Dodgers if only because Lakers tickets are fucking expensive.

Also, its easier to get to Dodgers stadium, and its in a poorer/rougher neighborhood compared to Staples Center. So that allows a greater influx of people, including assholes and gangsters, and general n'er do wells.

People throw stuff(sodas, hotdogs, etc) at you if you're wearing any Giants attire.

I assume you were sitting in the pavilion because that's where most of the rowdy fans are.

I was at today's game too in section 18. There was a huge fist fight between a bunch of Angels and Dodgers fans...security ejected around 10 Angels fans and only 3 Dodgers fans.

I have a co-worker who is a die-hard Giants fan...he's scared to see his faggots in orange when they come to Dodger Stadium

The Giants suck dick, but their fans are still pretty annoying and cocky.

There were a lot of fights at San Fran too. At least at CandleStick Park. Don't know about now at the current stadium the Giants play at. Whatever its called, Monster Park, for the Energy drink or something.

goto Fenway wearing all Yankees gear, it'll be quite the experience

Yankeefags won't do anything or vice-versa. Wear anything White Sox in Chicago north of Madison Ave. and see what happens and vice-versa south of Madison.

Chicagofag here. I've been to both stadiums, seen a guy in sox shirt at Wrigley and a guy in a Cubs shirt at the Cell, and nothing happened.

Actually, the Giants play at AT&T.

The 49ers play at Monster Park, which is named after Monster Cables.

fuck that, go to a flyers game wearing the other teams colors, and there's a 50-50 chance you will end up in the hospital.

I'm not exaggerating

in response to your dodgers/giants rivalry question, a giants fan was stabbed to death in the parker lot after the dodgers lost. I didn't go to that game but I've been to plenty where giants fans have been beaten or had beer thrown at them

God here; this thread brings back some stories;

I remember this kid got threatened for wearing a Wings jersey in Philly, and the kids dad threatened to rape and murder the guy. The guy who threatened the kid backed down, for the guy was 6 foot 6, and was a big-fucking steroids user. Basically, even Philly fans will pussy out if something bigger arrives.
Also, this one time, at a Dodgers-Giants game, some dude who wore Giants attire got thrown down the stairs, and even the ambulance workers didn't give a shit.
Also, Yankees-Mets fans are both the faggiest baseball fans ever; Mets fans are the epitomy of Bandwagon fans in the MLB, and Yankees fans are faggots to the point that even Sox fans can't touch that shit.

Unrelated: Mets must become the most hated team on /sp/ for denying the ability for Rick to Roll.

Sincerely,
God.

>So, my question is....how violent is a Dodgers/Giants game?

More violent than a Cubs/White Sox game, and a tad less violent than a Yankees/Red Sox game.

Old rivalries die hard. Interleague crosstown rival match ups are nothing compared to division rivalries.
