Heckling Anonymous
Ok /sp/, this thread is about heckling. Do you support heckling, or is it something that only dumb drunks do.

Also, what are some memorable heckling moments that you can remember???

It's counterproductive to the actual job of the fanbase.

Get behind you fucking team, tearing down the 3rd catcher of the other team is doing jack shit. What, you're gonna go after the equipment manager or the batboy next?
>> Anonymous
Ruins the game. I was at a Dodger game a few days ago and it just added unpleasantness to what was otherwise a comfortable experience.

Heckling is part of your job as a fan, but you have to be good at it.

I started out in high school and at minor league games where it doesn't matter as much.
>> Anonymous
i support getting on the other team but i can't stand seeing morons boo their own team, especially at the college level.

Clever and intelligent heckling (in b4 oxymoron) is great. "BOOO U SUCK UR TEAM IS A BUNCH OF FAGS" is annoying and stupid.

This.

If you're going to be drunk and shout insults, be clever about it (or be clever before you show up. best sign ever: "JETER HAS AIDS").

If you're just a drunken asshole, you're going to get pushed off the mezzanine. You'll hear cheers from your section on the way down.

Heckling is awesome. You have to know how to do, though. That Troy Pervicial guy? He sucks. The Phillies guy on Greene? That's how you do it. You gotta be clever. As a general rule, Yankees and Red Sox fans are horrible at hecking.

Best heckler I've ever heard was when Alexei Ramirez from the White Sox was in Cleveland, someone was shouting FOR 2 DOLLARS A DAY YOU CAN FEED ALEXEI RAMIREZ.

And it came up on TV because no one goes to Indians games.

Friends, /b/tards, Countrymen, lend me your ears, I come to bury cancer not to praise it! Let us leave Idiotic threads! Let us simply laugh at the faggotry of the OP's. good points are being made all over /b/, distinguishing one another leads to fights in our society. We are legion for we are many, the legion fights not with itself but works together to over come new challenges.

Our shining new era is tip toeing nearer, I know it sounds sordid but we will be rewarded, and at last be given our dues. Decades of denial are simply why we will be kings! Undisputed! Respected, saluted! And seen for the wonders we truly are! If we band together we become better than our enemy, /b/ is a beacon to a new world, we have already made our mark in society but let me tell you now we can expand so much more!

I have a dream that one day 4chan's /b/ will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all of us are better than our self obsessed human counterparts!"
We are Anonymous! We are better than anyone and everyone else who does not name themselves Anonymous.

You have listened to my plight; it is your choice now whether you take in what i have said to you, or whether you live in blissful ignorance. You all know what i speak is truth. Many of you will insult me for having this dream, but I know that there will be many more that will agree with what i have said here today!

We Are Anonymous. And This Is /b/. And We Are Legion!

Heckling the other team is definitely part of being a fan and is only counterproductive is you aren't cheering positively for your team.

But definitely not a sport.

Good hecklers make the game better.

Bad hecklers can ruin it. But for the most part, I've known better hecklers than bad hecklers. I sure as hell gave ManRam an earful after he beat up that old man, and deservedly so.

That's what heckling is for, IRL trolling of fags who deserve it.

Philly is mean though; other than Mike Schmidt and Dr. J, no athlete is loved in Philly. They treat fucking Rocky Balboa better than any athlete there ever has, and he's not even fucking real!
Hell, the fans are such douche bags there, they are the only reason why the players ever leave! No wonder no team there has won a title in the last 25 years, while almost all their rivals have.

Hell, even I have to admit that as bad as Mr Pittsburgh, CB, is here at /sp/, at least the town where his teams are have good fans, while his rival city is simply millions of walking, talking vaginas full of sand.

Who wants to bet the Mets (the fucking shitty ass Mets, for godsake) will win the division this year just to piss off Phillyfags even more?

>at least the town where his teams are have good fans,

You mean the town that deserts its teams when they start to do poorly? At least Philadelphia fans SHOW UP to the games when their team isn't doing so hot in the standings. They are far more passionate than any fag from Pittsburgh.

See the thing is no one actually knows the full story, , except most of us IN Philly, so the whole thing is fabricated.

Heres the REAL scoop:

crowd of 54,535 showed in a snowstorm that Dec. 15 day at Franklin Field to watch the last-place Eagles finished off a 2-12 season with a loss to Minnesota.

The book says that team owner Jerry Wolman had "dismantled a strong, proud franchise" and hired Joe Kuharich as coach and general manager. Kuharich, who inspired the "Joe Must Go" slogan, traded Hall of Fame quarterback Sonny Jurgensen to Washington for Norm Snead.

At halftime, there was supposed to be a Christmas pageant. Then there was too much snow and muck for a float to parade around the field. Instead, according to the book, a 19-year-old fan wearing a Santa suit and fake beard in the stands was recruited to jog onto the field between two columns of cheerleaders.

The authors don't deny boos were heard and that snowballs were tossed. Are they saying Santa had it coming?

"Santa had it coming for a different reason actually," says Macnow. "Santa was a surrogate that day for Joe Kuharich and Jerry Wolman and Norm Snead. The poor kid just happened to be representing the frustrations."

If they are so passionate about sports, why do they hate absolutely everybody?

Seems like they hate all their sports teams and show only in an on-going effort to convince them to leave town. It never works though because the franchises are making too much money off people booing them.

Here's how I heckle:

I never go against my team, just two players in the last month: Aaron Heilman (who finally picked his game up) and Carlos Delgao (is I think might be batting above .250 for the first time this season). I didn't boo them. I called them assholes, I told them to sit the fuck down and stay out of the game. I support my team as much as I am able to, but when a guy is hurting the team, I'm going to let him hear it.

Other teams, though, I'll tear them apart.

I usually heckle outfielder if I have good seats, so me and my friends can see how many times they'll turn around.

I hate how heckling has become taboo of late. Why do I get thrown out of a game for calling a member of the opposing team an asshole? I'm a fan, I'm having fun. I'm not changing the outcome of the game in any significant manner.

Heckling is a part of baseball, from yelling "KILL THE UMPIRE" to "LAAAAAARRRYYYYYYYY"

Where's the problem?

ive lived in both in usa and elsewhere i can say that american fans are the worst hecklers ever. i cant believe that any of the players respond to them at all. in all of the previous videos none of the were all that clever or that fucked up, yet the fans seem to think that what they are saying is comedic gold and really getting to the player. and as for saying something fucked up to get under their skin why would a player care if you said he sucks. what you should say is that you are going to kidnap his family or something like that.

We keep getting people that like to think they're playing Granny Hockey instead of the NHL and we can't stand them.

Or if they spend an entire PP in their own zone. They deserve to be booed, the fuckers.

And believe it or not, we do cheer our team. When they TRY TO WIN.

I'm gonna give you the european football AKA soccer experience...

We heckle a lot! 5 or 6 years ago there were some rumours of a football player and a pop singer being boyfriends. I heard this MONTHS before going to the news and when it hit full scale they even did a press conference! In the stadium there were chants and posters just for that event!

Later there were two players that divorced their spouses almost at the same time... People started to godd about the eventuality of one of the girls cheating on her ugly ass hubbie. SOOOO there we go to the stadium with helmets with horns!(because in my country a person with horns has his wife fucking another dude)

The most single heckle I've done was last year in a rink hockey game with our archrivals and while a player was heating up I said: "You better drink some milk fast"... The guy looks at me... "They look like they're thirsty for some bone cruching".
He smiles and says he's not afraid... I said to him to be relaxed because all the ugly careful nurses are from his team but I think he didn't hear me.

And when I was a little boy I spat on a police car because they've beaten some of our fans in the opposite stand... My mom proceeded to give me the beating of my life!
