tl;dr How will the lions fare in 2008-2009?

After countless rebuilding years, poor defense. Good drafts .. but to many WR, poor management, and coming off a "Good" year (yes .. it was a great year for Lions fans nationwide.) Will this year be different? Packers lose Favre, Bears have contract issues, Vikings are .. the Vikings. Lions have rebuilt the past .. hell .. the past franchise history. How do the Lions fare in the weakest division in football?

The Packers losing Brett Favre in favor of Aaron Rodgers will be like the Yankees losing Wally Pipp in favor of Lou Gehrig.

Thats a little extreme for only seeing the guy play for a drive is it not?

Lol no.

I predict a 7-9, 3rd place finish for the lions. I think that the Vikings will win the division, and the Packers still have enough without Favre to finish second. The Bears, of course, are completely fucked.

The lions have no Offense... and an even worse defense

They can keep their fuck-ton of WR's but with Kita throwing to them...It's not going to be good for Lions fans this year..

ITT: How the Lions fare in NFC North not Aaron Rodgers

imo, Lions miss wildcard by an inch, Packers finish first in NFC North.

Lions arn't that bad offensively. Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson and catch it if Rod Marinelli (sp?) threw it down feild. Although, Bell is a question at HB. Losing Jones is a big uh oh, need a backfield quick.

Drew Stanton should start ahead of Kitna, in my opinion.

Hey Lionsfags, this man's name is Brian Calhoun. He's sitting on the bench in your shitty uniform right now. If you play him, he's a 1500 yard back, no question. Either play him or ship him.

Surprisingly ... I know a few Lions fans places other then Michigay.

I'm not from Michigay, I hate Michigay.

Calhoun is the 3rd down back now since Jones' departure.

If he went to Wiscy that means he fucking sucks.

He was a God at Wisconsin. Hardest runner I have ever seen in my life. If he would have stayed for his senior year, he would have been a Heisman candidate and a first round pick

haha, I've been a Lionsfag my whole life

after we lost Barry Sanders and then went a whole season with no wins at all I kind of gave up even caring

I have the euro 2008 thread open in another tab, if that doesn't tell you enough

doubt it, unless his real name is barry sanders.

6-10 at best, despite 7-9 luck of last season.

The Lions need to never start Buck PEirce again. The loss to Calgary last night was pretty much entirely his fault.

NFC NORTH RECORD PREDICTIONS

Packers - 10-6
Vikings - 7-9
Lions - 5-11
Bears - 3-13
>> Anonymous
Detroit isn't going anywhere this year. They have perhaps the worst offensive line in the NFL, and they are in a division with the Viking, Packer and Bear defenses.

They'll be down to Mike Furrey at QB by Christmas.

I didn't think it was his fault, as much as it was the O Line's. I mean, it's hard trying to look for an open reciever and try to get a good pass to him when you have a 200 lbs man about to knock you down in 2 seconds.

Barely make the wildcard, win superbowl XLIII over the New England Patriots who were 18-0 at the time. Bobby Layne Curse ends.

I agree, but don't forget our O-line isn't doing to well. Oh well in four or five years B.C will get Billy Greene, Spencer Betts, and Mitchell Bostche anyways they're set.
