Phillies fan here.

If either of these teams were matched up against ANY other team in the post season, they would be swept easily.

This series has been a nightmare offensively.

The Phillies won 2 games on the strength of gift-wrapped runs and a hanging slider from Sabathia to Victorino.

Tonight, the Phillies went 1/10 with RISP. Ryan Howard and Chase Utley have folded in the face of left-handed pitching. The Phillies had the lead-off man on five times, and managed to squander each opportunity in the first eight innings.

The Brewers in this game were far more impressive offensively than the Phillies were in either of their first two wins. The Phillies scored all 8 of their runs in two different innings, and most of those came on that fluke grand slam and some clutch hitting but not much. You take out the third inning on wednesday and the second inning on thursday and the Brewers have just swept the Phillies.

But you can't do that, and they didn't, so the Brewers now have to win two straight. Congrats to Milwaukee for getting in the win column, the vast majority of MLB teams that go down 2-0 get swept, and they're making it interesting now.

Two LOL-moments of NLDS Game 3:

1. Bases loaded for Prince Fielder. He's due, and has the opportunity to blow the game apart.

Ahead in the count, Fielder leans forward and springs a dead duck that's caught in the shallow outfield. No runners advance.

2. Pedro Feliz steps up to the plate with the bases loaded and no outs. He's the go-ahead run in a 4-1 game.

He flails at the first pitch and grounds into an easy double play. Shane Victorino gets called for runner's interference at second. No run scores, no runner's advance.

>You take out the third inning on wednesday and the second inning on thursday and the Brewers have just swept the Phillies.

That's some pro analysis.

I've watched Prince do that shit all year. When the bases get juiced, his mouth salivates like it's lunchtime and somebody's making tofu brats, the fat fuck.

Victorino not sliding and deliberately getting in The Original C squared's way was pretty lulzy though.
