Hey look what I found here! Anonymous
BEIJING -- Just nine months before the Beijing Olympics, the Chinese government's news agency, Xinhua, reported that gymnast He Kexin was 13, which would have made her ineligible to be on the team that won a gold medal this week.

In three months, no one will care.

It's women's gymnastics.
>> Black ? Star !x8ngkAZjXE
we all know they were underage. Might as well let it die until we get the hard evidence.

China just decreed 16 comes after 13 a month ago and had all the 14 and 15 year olds executed.
>> Anonymous
This just means USA is more pathetic. They had several years more experience and practice and they still lost. LOL

for the last time, women's gymnastics is easier when you're pre-pubescent.

No, it means they cheated and America lost because they fucked up at the end...

It matters to others countries than America, but most people here are using it to troll Americans you should realize this.

If trolling was an Olympic event you would not even get out of the first round.

Experience can easily outweigh that advantage. They just suck, that's it. If they didn't make so many mistakes they would win, and then you would gloat. Accept the fact that they choked.

We can at least agree upon this:
RAAAAAAAAAAPE

>> Anonymous
>>247822
They are 16, that's totally legal, dude.
>> Black ? Star !x8ngkAZjXE
>>247820
No it can't. There is a reason there is a dam age limit. Balance, the weight, flexibility everything is better when they are younger.

Experience doesn't make you evade gravity better or make your feet smaller on the balance beam. Gtfo with that. And yes we lost(by we - alicia sacramone) but people downplaying the rule like it doesn't even matter need to look past the american hate.
>> Anonymous
>>247820
They got second place, but the fact that they broke the rules is what people are unhappy about most people just want to see them play fair.

China might still have won if they didn't cheat, however the fact that they did when the Americans gave it away to them is what people are up in arms about.

i hate this fucking age rule
back in the good old days lolis compete in the olympics
Barcelona and Atlanta games were great fap
Athens and this just average

>>247828

This is the Chinese definition of 16, which, of course, means 13. Which means pedo. Approved!
>> Anonymous
>>247831
>>247830
So, what. If they want OC will take away their medal.
And>>247830, because children can execute higher coefficient moves better than those with years of experience at making them.
>> Anonymous
The shitty part, is China probably would've won anyway if they just put up athletes old enough without the forgery. I mean shit, whens the last time you heard some one say acrobat without the word Chinese in front of it?

As is, when the truth finally comes out, those on the team above the age limit are still gonna get stripped of their medals.
>> Anonymous
>>247846
No, you see, it's perfect. It they try to trial you you can say that they won an olympic event, thus have to be 16. Get out of jail free card!
>> Anonymous
I'd be willing to bet that at the age of 13 the Chinese girls have more experience than the 17 year old Americans. Chinese girls have no time for things like friends and family.
>> Anonymous
are there different age limits for different sports? Michael Phelps competed in the 2000 olympics when he was 15. I guess for swimming it's okay...?
>> Anonymous
>>247868

Why do you think we don't hear shit about ex-soviet states Gymnasts, and Romanian Gymnasts anymore like we did back in the day? They used to make those girls work in the training room 18 hours a day, that's what China is doing now, not just with Gymnasts, but a lot of Olympic Athletes.
>> Black ? Star !x8ngkAZjXE
>>247873
yes there are age limits for certain sports. You have to be 16 for the girls gymnastics. You couldn't be over what 23 I think for soccer.
>> Anonymous
>>247873
For Swimming being younger isn't a big advantage, for Gymnastics it's a huge advantage. Younger= more limber, lighter, and oblivious to pressure.
>> Anonymous
>>247873

You have to meet the age requirement within the Olympic year, before or after the games. It's not so much an age thing as it is a birth year thing.
>> Anonymous
Lol, espn is already speculating about taking away medals. Anyway, the girl doesen't look 13.
>> Anonymous
>>247891
even the american media is butthurt
>> Anonymous
I really hope these girls were of age. They had a spectacular performance, and it would be horrible that they would lose their rightful win because they cheated. I am an Amerifag, and I don't care that China won, they had the better team. But it would be an insult to EVERY nation that put forward a team that the host nation felt the need to cheat to win.
>> Anonymous
I don't care that they won either, but because I just in general don't give a flying fuck about girls gymnastics. I watch it just incase a boob pops out or something, the same reason EVERY straight guy watches gymnastics.

But anyways, yea, they cheated. Its so fucking obvious. But the IOC won't do jack about it because they don't want to offend the host. I mean, god forbid.
>> Anonymous
Who cares?
It's just three less years they have to spend imprisoned at a Chinese Gymnastics Work Camp.

You are in the vast minority of Americans. During Tuesdays' Female Gymnasts Team Event on NBC :

Peak of Olympic telecast - 11pm half-hour
- 23.9/43 households
- 16.1/44 A18-49
- 41.178 million viewers

If you dont understand what the above numbers mean - basically about 1 in 2 of all TV viewers watching at that time were watching the Olympics.

For comparison purposes - the 2008 NBA Finals averaged 10 million viewers during its 6 games.

In the first 5 days of broadcast in the US, the only TV show/sporting event larger in 2008 - in terms of TV Ratings than the 2008 Beijing Olympics - was the Super Bowl/NFC Championship Game.

Simple fact of the matter is there was a rule, and china broke those rules and should be stripped of their "hard-earned" medals.

The funny thing is that china will probably execute her now that her job is done.

I feel like I should post in every thread but man the "lol losing to kids" argument makes me want to punch babies. It's gymnastics, you're lighter, shorter and more flexible so it's easier for you to do a lot of things, especially floor exercise.

Still though, I don't really care if we lost, it's the fucking olympics big deal. At least, if nothing else, the European nations are being schooled by pretty much everyone.
