Hockey goalie detected. It's pretty much the only position of any sport that any of the fatties here can "play" in.

Brodeur.

was going to be the first one to post Brodeur earlier, but my internet took a shit.

but yeah, Martin Brodeur definitely.

No Proof name 4 overweight goalies in the NHL right now?
>> Anonymous
>>342855
The pads make them all about the same size. Thoretically, if you put a 500lbs man in net, he'll just kneel and won't concede a goal, but there are rules against this.

That shit might work in junior league hockey, but even fatass goalies can't cover the entire area; either the shooters will find and shoot through the few holes the fatass is giving up or they can stuff the puck and the fatass both into the net, it'd still be a goal.

Hasek

I have never seen anyone make a difference like Hasek. He absolutely carried an undertalented Sabres team to the Finals.

Go Mighty Pigs!

You can't put a sumo wrestler in net and expect him to stop the puck a lot. Goallies need to be very flexible and good positionally, something a fat overweight person is unlikely to be.

And anyway, greatest goalie IMO is Patrick Roy followed closely by Marty Brodeur, Parent and Esposito.

Hasek.

Career

1st All-Time In Career Save Percentage
9th All-Time In Career Goals Against Average
6th All-Time In Career Shutouts
10th All-Time In Career Wins

Regular Season

First goalie since 1974 to have a GAA below 2.00
Highest single season save percentage
Lead NHL in save percentage a record six straight seasons
Modern day record for most shutouts in one season
Most shutouts in one month

Trophies
Six Vezinas
Two Hart Memorials
Two Lester B. Pearsons

Won the Vezina more times than any other goalie
One of five goalies to win the Hart Memorial
Only goalie to win the Hart Memorial more than once
Only goalie to win the Hart Memorial in back-to-back seasons
Only goalie to win the Lester B. Pearson

And he did most of it in Buffalo with garbage defense in front of him.

Thank you, this guy goes under the radar because he never played in the NHL

Vladislav Tretiak:
9 Gold Medals in World Championships
1 Gold Medal in the Olympics
1 Gold Medal in the Canada Cup
- First Team All-Star in the Soviet League consecutively each year from 1971 until 1984.
- MVP of the Soviet League five times
- First non-North American trained player to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and is one of the few members who never played in North American professional leagues.
- Named starting goalie of the International Ice Hockey Federation's Centennial All-Star Team

Had he been allowed to play in the NHL I promise you he'd have a ton of Vezinas and maybe even some Hart trophies

Why has no one said Ken Dryden? He is hands down the best NHL goaltender of all time.

Lets look at the facts:
-He enters mid-season as less than a rookie for the Canadiens. What happens? Habs win Stanley that year
-He wins the Conn Smythe award (1971) the year BEFORE he wins Rookie of the Year (1972)
- Won Vesna 5 times (4 of them in a row)
-Was the backbone of the greatest NHL franchse of all time (Habs '71-'79)
-Won 6 Stanley Cups in 7 1/2 years in the NHL
-Was part of the greatest NHL season of all time (in '77 was 60-8-12)
-Was the winning goaltender in the Summit Series

He also has a law degree, is a writer, a commentator, GM and a politician. This man was not human.

that's why all the goalies are shaped like american football defense liners .. oh wait. no

I,ve read about an interview with carey price, saying that he lost 20 pounds during the summer, to be in better shape (went from 220 to 200, all in muscles)

Most bad-ass goalie.

Also best at scoring goals.

Hexy was my #1 childhood idol.

Greatest goaltender to never hoist the Cup.

american football says hi. so does Prince Fielder and Charles Barkley.

anyways, Roy right now. Brodeur will have the better career when it's all said and done, after he surpasses Sawchuk's SO record and Roy's wins. but Roy will be the best playoff goalie of all time.

also, won an olympic gold in 1998 in Nagano. First olympic tournament to ever have NHL players. He carried his team to final. Also eliminating all penalty shots in semi-finals against Canadian hockey stars.
