ESPN MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL LOL Anonymous
IIT we talk about Espn's Monday Night Football commentators, and how awesome it is.

Personally, I found Tony Korn-holer chatting with Sylvestor Stallone tonight about the new Rocky movie very insightful. I totally forgot that I had turned the TV on to watch a football game. I was so glued to them all talking about how epic this movie is going to be, that I didn't mind missing every other play during the second quarter.

I found this little in-game interview even more invigorating the night Jay-Z came on, and Tony Korn-holer spend the whole second quarter of that game talking about 'hip-hop'.

.....

Tell me oh wise partons of /sp/. Tell me why Espn is turning the beloved Monday Night tradition into a glory hole for pimping films, music, and other shit that football people could give a flying fuck about? I thought that was what the commercial breaks were for, not half the second quarter...

Seriously. The Stallone interview almost made me change the channel, and try and find a basketball game. Someone needs to take go Sling Blade on that Tony Kornfuckwad. I leave more football knowledge in the toilet daily than this fuck mutters out of his piehole on a Monday night.

Tirico/Aikman for MNF

Tirico gives a clear unbiased look at the game.

Aikman is the best color guy currently working. Too bad he is stuck with Joe Buck

The worst part is that they overhype it as though the Monday Night game is still the GAME TO WATCH. It's not. Sunday Night is. That's why Sunday Night has fucking FLEX SCHEDULING. That's why MNF had the motherfucking Arizona Cardinals earlier this year.

When it was on ABC, MNF did some celebrities in the booth and stuff, but I don't think ESPN has realized that was secondary to the game on the field. Seriously, before the game started they were hyping Stallone more than the game itself.

fuck that. im still pissed that the eagles got away with an OBVIOUS PASS INTERFERENCE IN THE FUCKING END ZONE at the end of the game.

asshole refs.

the saddest thing to me about MNF on ESPN is that no matter how shitty the game actually is, they still devote an entire days coverage to it. Every Monday, the only thing ESPN has starting at 3 is MNF coverage. Seriously, the biggest thing that pisses me off is that I work Sundays so I only get to watch two games most weekends...the Sunday and Monday night games. I also hate Joe Theisman and find it hilarious that every time he predicts a play or says what the team should do, the team does the opposite and gains like 30 yards.

Kornheiser's a nice, funny guy. But he's just plain useless on MNF.

Why can't they just do a 2 man booth?

Alright, I know the education system isn't the greatest in the South but the 2 yard line isn't the end zone. Also considering the line of scrimmage was the 7 the two yard line is 5 yards away. Perhaps it is all the inbreeding or just that retards are drawn to be panther fans.

Remove Tony, Joe and replace them with Troy and Al. Its win sauce.

Kornheiser is only good for PTI.

Yeah, seriously. On the Sunday night SportsCenter they have a countdown to Monday Night Football...

HAY GUYZ ONLY 20 HOURS LEFT TO GET READY FOR TWO MEDIOCRE TEAMS!!! LOL!!!

ya will be surprised if tony is back next year pretty obvious the others don't like him. Always enjoy when he says something awkward and instead of commenting back they just sit there in silence during the next play to allow everyone to marinate in the awkward silence

Wasn't pass interference. borderline illegal contact, i wouldnt have called it, Sheppard let go of Johnson at ~2 yd line, the line of scrimmage was the 7, thats legal. He didn't touch him in the endzone, Keyshawn just pretended he was 8 feet tall when he went up for the ball, he jumped a stride too early.

ESPN got what it deserved for breaking up the Dream Team, Tony is a lost penguin without me.

Yeah, I echo the sentiments that the Sunday Night game is where it's at now. Bigger audience, better matchups in the late season... and for some fucking reason, John Madden is actually talking insightfully about football strategy for the first time in his entire broadcasting career.

MNF = football plus dipshittery multiplied by typical ESPN self-pimping retardation; SNF = Game of the Week hardcore awesomeness, minus the theme song

no, youre both idiots, read the rulebook.

when the ball is in the air. you CANNOT make contact.

it doesnt matter how many yards you are from the line. the 5 yard rule only applies when the quarterback has the fucking ball.

>i wouldnt have called it
thats why youre not a ref. idiot.

I'm here to educate you about the rules with some recent copy pasta.

>If the ref's did their job, it would've been 1st and goal on the 1 yard line on account of pass interference. the 5 yard rule is irrelevant when the ball is already thrown. you cant PUSH THE GUY AWAY FROM YOU to intercept the ball.

Kornheiser is better than Tirico and Theismann. Tirico talks about getting punched in the face by his wife and Theismann cries about how LT broke his leg.

Frankly, I want Madden and Summerall to do the broadcast. Truly legendary.

Oh, my bad. I thought you were another one of those people crying about John Williams' theme for the show.

Yeah, Pink does suck.

I like how Sunday Night theme adds tension to the matchup. MNF is just failing miserably. and nothing short of Kornheiser getting beat down by Dennis Miller can save it. Good to see the NFL take a page from NASCAR on scheduling.
>> COOKIE_MONSTER
They didn't do any of this bullshit on Sunday Night Football in the past, did they?

i'd rather have the MNF crew calling my games than (if you are unfortunate enough to have it) the NFL Network crew, they have got to be the shittiest broadcasters in all of sports, even more than "BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE GUY"

That was awful. I loved how he acted as though he was doing play-by-play commentary during the highlights.
