So, Hatefags, what if the Patriots lost a game early in the year but proceeded to win every other game including the Super Bowl thereby making them 18-1.

Would you an hero?

tl;dr- 18-1 could become the worst thing to happen to you.

The fourth of these would have to just have 18-1 spelled out in diamonds.
Brett Favre gets traded to the Ravens and they beat the Pats in the first game of the season, /sp/ explodes
18-1*
enjoy the worst fail in the history of failures.

WHY OH WHY DO PEOPLE PUT AN ASTERISK ON IT?!

God you faggots are totally misusing it. 18-1 is fail and the asterisk is supposed to be placed after Barry Bond's home run record.

I'm totally fine with making the Superbowl with a perfect record and coming home with a chip on our shoulder. Besides, it's not like we had a 38 year old John Elway under center. Tom's going to be around for a long time and you're just going to have to live with getting torched for the next 5-8 years.

As a pats fan I was hoping for them to lose in the last game of the regular season so they could have won the superbowl without diminishing the dolphins perfect series

tl;dr I was hoping for 18-1, but not like the way it happened

pats aren't doing shit this season. super bowl loser's curse will rock them

also, 18-1

You'll laugh until the Patriots win the Superbowl this year.

When they're one of the top 2 seeds in the playoffs I'm sure you'll disappear.

I'm sure the Patriots will do just fine this year. Belicheat will figure out new ways of cheating, then pretending he didn't know it was against the rules. The NFL will continue to schedule the Pats to play as many shitty teams as possible, giving them one of the top 5 easiest schedules in the league as per the usual. ESPN will continue to talk about how great they are, and the rest of the world will be tired of hearing about them and hate them simply because they can't watch anything sports related without hearing about them.

tl;dr: Next season will be business as usual for the NFL.

Already making up excuses for after the Pats win the Superbowl this year?
>> Anonymous
>>214808

I didn't make any excuses. I stated facts. The Patriots have gotten preferential treatment for a few years now. This isn't news to anyone.
>> Anonymous
>>214805
excuse the NFL for following the scheduling plan that's been in place since the texans joined the league.

also excuse the patriots for being good. also gimme a break, the only reason the patriots were in the news as much as they were was spygate and trust me we hated it as much as you did. ESPN sucks.

What pisses me off is that even though they have to play in the weakest division in the NFL, and have to be scheduled to play the weakest division in the NFC, they still get to play against every team in the next weakest division in football, the AFC West. Other than Indy and Pitt, no team they face in those 3 divisions can beat them. I hate to say it, since I feel Bill Bellicheat should be Pete Rose'd out of the NFL, but 16-0 is a possibility.
Thank god, so is the Good 18-1. GO NFC, GO!

18-1 isn't the worst thing to happen to the Pats.

There's 35-21, 46-10...

By now, I'm over it. I can laugh about it.
>> Kilgamayan (18-1) !2BklmILFiE
>>214809

You mean like when the NFL tightened pass coverage calls after Ty Law and company kept shutting down the Indy passing attack?
>> Kilgamayan (18-1) !2BklmILFiE
>>214814

Don't throw the AFC West out so quickly. I'm not liking the look of that game in San Diego.

Pats fans are really big on seeking credit for things well before they even get a chance to happen (see 19-0, team of destiny)

Guess what? 18-1.

"buh, buh, buh, but what if..."

18-1.

"it could be like..."

Eighteen and one.

"STOP SAYING 18-1 WE MIGHT..."

GOD HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY 18 AND 1 BEFORE YOU STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW GREAT THE PATRIOTS ARE. THEY COULDN'T EVEN BEAT THE GIANTS. THEY GOT PICKED APART BY ELI FUCKING MANNING. EIGHTEEN AND ONE BITCH DO YOU SPEAK IT?
