lol, I'm sure OP is from China, because if he's not then why is he being an internet tough guy since it's pretty obvious his country fails at the Olympics.

I knew China would have the golds, maybe not the medal count, but the golds simply because of 2 things. Home field, and the olympics mean so much more to the Chinese. In America we cheer our teams on and are happy when they win, but its nothing like in America sports like football or baseball. Kids don't grow up wishing to be olympians, they grow up wishing to be in the NFL. America just doesn't care about the rest of the world. Why exactly? There are probably many theories but who knows. Frankly, I almost don't care about the Olympics, but I look forward to football every year.

Damn straight, if ZERO American medals would somehow mean my favorite college football team would win the national championship I'd make that trade in a heartbeat

college football is pretty much gay because of the BCS way of ranking and who gets to play in the natl championship. GAY

Olympic medal counts is the most annoying thing in /sp/. 18-1 is at least tolerable.

BCS is what makes college football interesting. Otherwise, you end up with a situation like college basketball in which the regular season is relatively pointless.

Most college students can't afford to go to BSC championship games that are several states over, and would much rather go to home games that actually mean something.
