If Tebow stays another year at Florida to work on his mechanics, does he have a shot to be a QB in the NFL?

I think the consensus now is that he has no shot, but the reasoning is that he has shitty mechanics and that his accuracy suffers as a result. I'd like to think that if he can at least show some improvement with his delivery/footwork/etc., he would at least be highly thought of as a long-term prospect.

If Tebow ever gets into the NFL I swear to god I'm gonna start watching MLS

If Tebow stays another year, his draft stock will drop. He's leaving this year.

I want to see him try that jump pass faggotry in the NFL.

I'm willing to be he will be drafted in either late first or early second round. Unless Florida somehow wins out.

Tim Tebow will make ryan leaf look like Dan Marino.

Tebow has no shot. He doesn't have the necessary skills to play in the NFL.

Look at it this way...Joe X is the greatest defensive back in the history of college football. He is brilliant, strong, tough, and knows the position like no other. Unfortunately, Joe X is fast for college football but he doesn't have NFL speed.

Fanboi wank fantasies aside, his incredible college career makes no difference, Joe X will not be drafted, because he would be an absolute failure and liability in and NFL secondary.

That's Tebow. Mechanics don't help you become a better NFL quarterback, they are absolutely baseline essential for you to even be considered for the NFL.

Please, somebody screencap this thread, especially the dude who thinks Tebow will be drafted in the second round. Tim Tebow will not be drafted as an NFL quarterback. Period. He's not qualified.

Someone WILL take a flier on him in the 6th-7th round. If Ken Dorsey can get drafted, Tebow sure as hell can.

Either way, he's gonna go to a shit team like Cincinatti, Detroit, or San Francisco as they try to build leadership in the quarterback position while having a shitty rest of the team. He'll flounder and be forced into games too early, and he'll become very quickly acquainted with how much bigger, faster, and more vicious the NFL defenses are.

As long as he breaks his leg before the Bama game I don't care where he goes

I think a very good team will use a 7th pick or even sign him undrafted. If he sits on the bench for 3 or 4 years who knows what could happen. Matt Cassel, Kurt Warner, fuck even Brett Favre were never supposed to be good.

Truth is we dont know and Tebow a good chance to be an NFL starter. Sam Bradford could end up being a career practice squad player. A lot of things have to fall in place for a QB to succeed. What if turner hadnt gone to the falcons? What the fuck did Cleveland do diffrently last year when Derek Anderson was all-league? What is keeping the ball in Kurt Warners hands this year?

I agree but one of the best examples is Tony Romo.

I see Tebow will go about the same time Dennis Dixon did.

Tebow may go higher because teams didn't want to take a chance on Dixion's knee, but they are comparable in athletic ability.

Yeah, they want to turn him into a Randle-el type of reciever who can participate in gimmick pass plays

Do you not know anything about Tim Tebow? He prides himself on being a "christian role-model" and more than likely values his education and graduating with a degree over entering the draft early.
>> Anonymous
lets be honest...hardcore christian would not be able to make it in the NFL on a MORALS standpoint...

he's not the greatest QB in college but if he were to go to the NFL, let the lions draft him, let him learn...
