It allows players to flow in and out of space that's not naturally where their position is, so, while RvN is further back collecting the ball (because he's also a natural midfielder), Huntelaar can move into space up front and try and create opportunities. Have you not seen Cristiano Ronaldo play? He sure as hell doesn't score all of his goals from the wing.
I'm also going to assume you haven't really seen Huntelaar play much, because he has one of the best first touches I've seen in ages, you kinda need that to score overhead... passing is moot for him, because he's a natural goal scorer, and the ball is supposed to end up in the net after he gets to it. Better dribbling? Look at him play, he doesn't need to do 5 stepovers to get past a defender, just because he's not as flashy (which leads to Van Persie's injuries) doesn't mean he can't get passed a defender.
