NRL and AFL finals are on this weekend. The Bloodyslow Cup match will be lucky to crack 20,000 viewers.

No one cares about Victoria though.

Ture, but then again no-one in Australia (except for expat Kiwi's) care about the Bloodyslow.

Good luck tomorrow against the purple fags. We could do with an underdog winning after tonight's games.

Not quite 50, but the allblacks retain the TriNations & Bledisloe Cup.

Anyone who didn't enjoy that game is obviously an American and prefers American Poofball..

Apparently rugby's popular in the two bogan states.

Ten show the rugby version of the Footy Show at about 11.50 pm. It's the crappiest thing anyone has ever seen; even worse than Funniest Home Videos. A cardboard box has both more personality and dimension.

It's the fourth most popular football code in Australia (it wouldn't even be in the top ten sports overall) for a reason...

Thanks we need all the support we can get.

You're wrong. You clearly said AUSTRALIA. Anyone with a toe knows that Rugby is the second most popular footy code in AUSTRALIA behind AFL. League is only popular in the Welsh county and soccer still sucks.

Nine have the rights to TFS you retard. Go away and let the adults talk.

Wait wait wait. Gridiron...PADBALL...is the fourth most popular footy code in Australia?

I have lost all faith in my countrymen.

I'm all for pluralism, but seriously, NRL needs to be exterminated. It's the NASCAR of football codes.

Your reading comprehension is quite disgraceful.

I've always thought of the AFL as the NASCAR of the footy codes tbh. Big following in the South but fuck all elsewhere. Huge redneck/bogan following too.

>>but fuck all elsewhere.

No one gives a toss about rugby in West.
No one gives a toss about rugby in South.
No one gives a toss about rugby in the Territory.
No one gives a toss about rugby in Tassie.

All of these states are keen Rulesers.

Any AFL crowd you can find would be vastly less bogany than any given rugby crowd.

>No one gives a toss about rugby in West.

As the Frenchman said to the American, you're an idiot.

Wallaby games are always a sellout in Perth & the Western Force had the highest average crowd of all 4 Super 14 teams in Australia.

Relative to the West's attention for football, rugby is a pond

Also LMAO Super 14s

Don't cry about it mate. It's just the truth.

West - There's only 1.5 million people in the whole state and there's a decent R(U) presence there.
South - There's like 2 people tops. wtf cares? They can't even sellout for their own afl derbys anymore anyway.
Territory - Rugby (L) is actually the most popular code. Check out the crowds, tv schedules and ratings.
Tassie - lololol

NSW + QLD make up well over half the population just by themselves and they are mad keen R(L) followers.

The only place worth noting where afl is popular is in Victardia and even there rugby has a decent presence yet again.

As for the crowds, when was the last time you saw an AFL fan who had a full set of teeth? Yeah, that's what I thought. It' the most bogan sport of all, even moreso than the V8's.

Yeah, not enough druggies to capture their hearts and minds I guess. it's something we really need to address if we want to win over the fumbleball followers out there.

>>The only place worth noting where afl is popular is in Victardia and even there rugby has a decent presence yet again.

that's just rugby management taking advantage of the fact that melbourne + [insert any sport] = PATRONAGE, NO EXCEPTIONS

Melbourne is the sporting capital of the world. Aslong as the only sport you like is AFL.

Nah, there was some global survey that said averaging out government support, events management, cultural approach, quality of infrastructure, etc. Melb's pretty much it in terms of best sports city
