Capello obviously thinks: Jagielka and King are that shit that he'd rather have a Championship player (I know he's only on loan) instead.

Owen should've waited and signed for the big club. But he wanted the money, so now he has to be happy with his choice.

that's a weak squad

what i dont understand is why all these teams still want to sign the useless cunt

100k a week wages
injured for 70% of the season
not as good as he once was, and still going downhill

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

For a team between 6th and downwards, he sells shirts.

If he wanted to get into a remotely successful team with a chance of winning anything then he'd have to slash his wages in half at least, and then cope with rotation like nearly every other top player these days. Noone else will pay him what the toon do. Because Newcastle's owners are nutters, Shepard was and Ashley is.

he signed for newcastle because he didn't want to be rafa-rotated.

Srsly, what player wants to be rafa-tated? Only Dirk Kuyt is immune from rotation.

All big teams rotate.

Also BBC is reporting that Gerrard will miss the game as well.

Houllier's Liverpool didn't rotate. Played Owen all the time. He's a critical part of the "hoof it to owen and pray to god he scores" strategy Houllier used to DEVASTATE opposition teams in 2001.

If you look at the stats you'll see that on average, Rafa rotated a similar amount as Fergie, Jose and Wenger. The media just liked to have a go at him more for it. Now apparently the problem is he hasn't got enough quality players in depth to rotate to! Which is odd when you consider the Liverpool bench yesterday had Torres, Babel and Benayoun on it.

Owen can score goals, but he doesn't work hard enough for Rafa, and spurned him because he was worried about sitting on the bench for Madrid for a year and going back to Liverpool on a free like Rafa asked. Cared so much about his England place and now he's lost that. To be honest I don't much care for Owen any more...

that german team looks pretty weak
>> FredtheRed !TPWlrPZQIg
Team I'd field:

-------------------------Hart
Johnson---Richards---Davies-------Bridge
SWP--------Carrick-----Lampard----Young
--------Walcott
---------------------Agbonlahor

Maybe Bent for SWP and play a normal 4-4-2, but just want to see what 1) how those players would cope in an England shirt. 2) how Wallcott would work in a free second striker type role, instead of on the wing.

Carson, James, Terry, Lescott, Mancienne, Upson, Barry, Downing, Gerrard, Bent, Crouch, Defoe
