Sup /sp/ Eurofag here.

Can anyone explain me something about baseball?

1.- What competiton/s do the teams play in a year?

2.- Which are the best and the worst teams?

Thank you.

I don't really know what you mean by question 1, but the consistently best teams are the Yankees and Red Sox. They both suck cock though.

162 games a season

1. 162 games a year (too many), playoffs, then world series, which are all several games long.
2. The Yankees used to be really good in the 90s but have kind of sucked recently. Red Sox have recently been the best team.

Eurofag unfortunately turned Amerifag here.

It's a really long and boring season, and unlike our sport, football, not Americunt football, there's no League, League Cup, Champions League etc. It's just 162 games, and then I think like 8 or so teams go into the playoffs, in series of 5 and 7 games, depending on how far into the playoffs it is.

The best teams are generally the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, New York Mets, and I can't be arsed to think of any more right now.

Currently the worst are the Detroit Tigers.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have been the best team for 15 years running.

Best Teams-

Boston Red Sox - Great offense, good pitching. Spend tons of cash
New York Yankees - Perennial BIG MONEY SPENDERS
Detroit Tigers - Suck early on but have the greatest offense in baseball history, shitty pitching, worst team in baseball right now lol.
Cleveland Indians - Inconsistent offense but best pitching in the game.
New York Mets - Johan Santana.

Worst teams are the Minnesotta Twins, Florida Marlins, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Too bad Minnesota is above the Indians in the standings right now...

26 consecutive scoreless innings says otherwise.

...and the Tigers are 2-10.

Wait a month.

In the A.L., contenders are normally New York, Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Anaheim/L.A./California. Worst are Tampa Bay and, notoriously, Kansas City.

N.L. good: Atlanta, New York, the rest shift every year almost.

Interesting trivia, Eurofag.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are so bad that in a couple years they'll be considered the worst sports franchise of all time.

5 World Series' wins and 9 NL pennants beg to differ.

Worst franchise in the past thirty years? Yes.
Of all time? No, faggot.

I think the record of consecutive losing seasons is currently owned by the Phillies. If the Pirates have a couple more losing seasons, they will have the longest streak. The longest streak of all North American sports. That's a huge black mark. HUGE.

Phillies still hold that.

Except that the phillies have done the 15 seasons losing TWICE in franchise history.

2x15 > 16?

Well, that is why the Pirates are going to win the World Series next year.
