Normally I wouldn't be so quick to call for the firing of a head coach just because you lose a few games, but Childress is spending a lot of money on the Vikings this year and they're still not playing like a team. We have the best runningback in the NFL, but he doesn't have room to breathe. We have one of the best rush defenses in the NFL, but we're useless against the passing game. We switched out our crappy QB for a decent veteran, only to find that our WRs are just as bad at catching as Tarvaris Jackson was at throwing.
Childress has enough invested in the team that the Vikings really should be winning, yet they're not. It's not like this is a weak year where we're just trying to do what we can until we can regroup in spring. This was supposed to be a playoff year for the Vikings, but they're going nowhere.
If we can't beat the Saints, I wouldn't be surprised to see Childress get dumped. He took a lot of gambles on unproven players and not many of them paid off.
