Ok so about 15 years ago I was in a columbus day race. The first 10 kids got medals and the rest for faggy ribbons. I was in tied in tenth and in the last stretch and he baseball slides into the finish just barely beat me. Was this fair?

You've been bitter about this for 15 years haven't you?

Option #1: No, it wasn't fair. You were cheated, and you've been right to hold onto this for 15 years. You can now move on with your life, confidently knowing that you should have been the one to receive that medal.

Option #2: Seriously? You've been upset about this for 15 years? Christ, move on with your life.

Pick whichever option makes the most sense to you.

Baseball slides are feet first, and it's generally measured from the chest, leading to the practice of ducking to the line. So a baseball slide may have taken his feet across the line first, but this doesn't matter.

I think there is also a rule about a minimum height to cross the line at, I guess to stop people diving. I may, however, be mistaken about this second rule, so don't take my word on it.

So, if I'm correct (by no means certain) you did have a right to feel aggrieved. Fifteen years ago, not now.
