There's recently been some speculation about the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey club moving to another city due to finiancial problems, and disagreements between the team's management and city officials over a new stadium.

So, do you think they're gonna move? If you do, where do you think or where would you want them to move?

I personally think they will because Pittsburgh has been losing ALOT of population over the past decades and people keep moving out of there. This, in turn, could mean less attendance at their home games and all that other stuff.

I think if they move, they'll go to Seattle.

Why Seattle?

1) The city is more than big enough for a hockey franchise.

2) The Vancouver Canucks wouldn't have travel by plane every time they play an away game (Because nobody is located anywhere near them)

3) There are alot of hockey fans in Seattle.

Well, I'm a huge Pittsburgh fan in regards to the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. From I've been reading in the Post Gazette, it all comes down to the casino deal. Simply put, if they get the new arena the new owner will keep them there. They sell out most of their games and are popular in the city so size really isn't a problem since ticket stubs show them as maintainable.

Leading cities, or so I've heard, to get the team if they move are Hartford, Kansas City, and some place in Canada.

I'd say Canada is the best bet. Owner is Canadian, i seriously doubt they'd have many fans in KC, and Hartford is too small of a market.

Winnipeg is still begging for a team... only problem is the shakeup it would have to cause to fit into the new division.

There were 3 or so cities to choose from I think, and one of them is Hamilton, Ontario. This would be kind of cool I guess since I live in Ontario, however that would mean Ontario has THREE hockey teams. Might be better for them to be somewhere else...

Also, Toronto and Buffalo would definatly get bitchy about putting a team right in between them, cutting profits.
