Conundrum anonymous
Despite how likely or unlikely this scenario is, what the hell would happen if both the Giants and the Jets got homefield advantage? Anyone have a clue as to what happens then?

The AFC and NFC games would be played at different times obviously.

1 and 4? Think about the logistics of that. and what happens if a game goes into overtime?

The Divisional round would be played on separate days (Saturday & Sunday); if they both advanced, the Championship games would be played on the same Sunday, with one at 1:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. (who plays in which time slot would be decided by a coin toss)...

My uncle works at Giants stadium...since 2003, I think that's been the plan developed, but since its never happened, no one really knows.

But yes, that's the plan I've heard of.

I hate to see what would happen in the Super Bowl and in the playoffs.
>>
Apparently, what they'd do is they'd play one Sunday at 7 and one on Monday at 7...the TV networks would love the Monday game, as they'd kill in the ratings with a championship game on a day when everyone watches TV

but if both these teams make it, holy shit the coverage in nyc will be unbearable

actually i'm pretty sure>>489697covered it for us

We can chalk one of them up right now- not so sure about the JEST but we'll give them a chance. The all-NYC Superbowl would be a fun way to keep the dynasty going strong if you know what I mean

In 2002 both teams made the playoffs. Giants played Saturday night I believe, and the Jets Sunday afternoon. I forget who the Giants played in their wild-card game but they ran the ball like crazy in a heavily rainy game and they tore up the field.

The grounds crew Sunday morning laid fresh turf on the Meadowlands Mud (as all who have seen a rain game there know the field doesn't drain for shit) and Peyton Manning came to town seeing a prestine field. One play later the mud was exposed and the Jest won 41-0.

The Giants were at San Francisco in 2002 though, they never got a home playoff game.

No, that actually took place. And it was grand. Granted, the next game they went on to lose to Bitch Cannon and the Jokeland Gaiders, 30-10
