'Nuff said, dirty bindipper cunt.

You look in the dustbin for something to eat,

You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat,

In your Liverpool slums

Really? The Trap is the biggest problem with the NHL?

I think I'd pick, oh, I dunno...the lack of consistent national television coverage, maybe? Nobody cares how boring the trap is when nobody can find a game to watch anyways.

And for the record, the tightening of obstruction/hooking laws was the best thing to happen to the NHL in the past 10 years.

center ice package fixes that pretty well

the trap sucks I hate watching games against the Wild so booooring score was 2-1, I watched LA vs EDM it was wide open back and forth score was 5-4

Right, because a premium channel package is the best way to fix lack of NATIONAL tv coverage.

Low scoring games are the best. High scoring games aren't exciting because you KNOW that goals will be scored. A close game is much more intense because each goal could be the game.

Only an idiot with no attention span needs a goal every 5 minutes.

Agree on first bit, disagree on second bit.

Yes, the NHL needs national TV coverage, no Center Ice is not the answer. It's awesome for hockey fans but anybody who doesn't follow the game as much as...well...me...isn't going to buy it.

Good games aren't determined by score alone. It's the game itself. 2-1 victories aren't inherently more exciting than 9-8 games, nor vice versa.

Exciting games are games in which both teams show they actually want to win and work their asses off for it. That's why the 8-2 smoking of the Bruins by A.O. and the Caps was boring--the Bruins weren't in it.

That's also why nearly every wings/ducks game this year has been a great game--both teams want to win and go all out for it.

Team operated or licensed television channels. Like these motherfuckers don't make enough money off us...

Boring shitty trap play combined with over expansion and stupid rule changes (the equivalent of a game of HORSE to end the game with the shootout in effect) caused low ratings, not the other way around
>> Anonymous
>>29866
I agree, NFL has Fox, NBA has TNT, MLB has TBS or ''Peachtree TV'', NHL needs more games with NBC to be efficient. But Bettman is just a jackass.

I'm afraid I must disagree. The race with Barkley at the All-Star Game last year was the only basketball-related event I was able to watch in its entirety.

Besides, this motherfucker right here is doing a much better job at failing it.

No way, NBC fucking sucks, their commentary sucks, everything about it sucks, and switching to a fucking PRE HORSE RACING SHOW shows why they suck even more.

They need to find a way to get a deal with ESPN again. That way theyd be on espn and big games on abc.

If NHL was back on ESPN then they would only televise DET vs. ??? DET vs. ??? DET vs. ??? DET vs. ??? DET vs. ???

They used to spam DET and COL games but since COL is no longer great its down to DET
>> Anonymous
It's still better than NBC which every other week seems to have NYR vs ??? NYR vs ???

but yeah they definitely need a better network. I dunno how CBS would do with hockey (lol), and Fox would probably go back to the glowing puck so forget them.

lol

like the nhl actually has a choice on which network to broadcast its games

That's why we're only discussing IF they had an option. I'm just glad VS changed their name, having hockey on the Outdoor Live Network didn't make much sense.
