The Eagles are Officially Retarded. Anonymous !!w8TIjcoB9vq
"I guess we're aware of it now," McNabb said. "In college, there are multiple overtimes, and in high school and Pop Warner. I never knew in the professional ranks it would end that way. I hate to see what would happen in the Super Bowl and in the playoffs."
Uh, they keep playing if it's tied in the playoffs or Super Bowl. But McNabb apparently didn't know that, either.
In his defense, McNabb wasn't the only one oblivious to the rules. Several of his teammates were just as clueless.
"Me and Greg Lewis were discussing it on the sideline, so we asked one of our trainers and he told us it ends in a tie," running back Correll Buckhalter said.
"I found out while we were in OT," rookie wideout DeSean Jackson said.
"I thought we kept playing," linebacker Omar Gaither said.

That team has to be the worst excuse for a collective of "professionals" I've ever heard of. Functional retards at best. Good match for the city.

Tommy Harris?

You mean Tommy Maddox?

TommIE Harris is an all-pro DT for the Bears

Congratulations, you were a fucking stupid child. Reasonably intelligent children don't just ask questions but can also make assumptions based on prior knowledge. Like "what happens if they don't score in overtime? most likely either they continue to play until a team scores or it ends in a tie."

For the record, he's still dumb as a brick for thinking they continue to play though.

yeah. I remembered virtually everything about him but his name. I remembered he set the Steelers record for passing yards that day. I remember he was originally a bust from that 1992 draft, taken in the first round (same year Brad Johnson was drafted in the 12th round). Just a brain fart on the name.

Anyone remember one of the Madden intros where Tommy Maddox dribbled that football? Pretty cool. This thread is now about Tommy Maddox.

Making assumptions is not the same as obtaining definitive answers, ass.

For instance... all those retards on Philadelphia assumed they'd keep playing. I was 9 and asked, to paraphrase "if they don't score in overtime do they tie?"

You should have tried to rail me on the Harris/Maddox fumble, not that as a nine year old I asked a question with a presumed answer in mind. Faggot.
>> Heynonnynonnymous
Why YES...they are stupid "professionals" for assuming they keep playing. What an astute observation. Course, many people had assumed that already about the Eagles well before the tie...before the season, too.

Honestly, one of the first NFL games I ever watched I turned off at full time thinking it finished a tie. Coming from a British background, overtime for regular season games still strikes me as being a bit pointless. Don't see what the fuss is about

Troll.

Being British now counts as trolling? What the fuck?

It's just a lot more common in American sports to have a definitive result. I think in an older version of the MLS they used to have some mad Ice Hockey style penalty shoot-outs if the match ended a draw.

The fuss is probably because the NFL can go years and years without a draw, and this has probably happened. Where as draws are common in (our) football. We might act the same if there was a drawn test match in the Ashes or something... Maybe.

what about the flyers franchise?

other than Richards, I'll call them all retarded.

Soccer always has had an overtime period that, if still tied, followed by a shootout.... for playoffs only. Regular season, a tie was a tie at the end of regulation (full time? lol fucking faggot retard).

>I hate to see what would happen in the Super Bowl and in the playoffs.

Hmm... last I checked, there are no ties in the NFL in the PLAYOFFS because that year where the Panthers beat the Eagles in that NFC Championship game, the round BEFORE they played the Rams and that divisional playoff went DOUBLE OT...

tl;dr... DOUBLE OT or more in the NFL postseason

But hey, look on the bright side... at least they didn't finish the game at 0-0. If that happened every single UEFA fan and soccer fans everywhere would laugh at the US.

why? 0-0 in soccer is same as game without touchdowns. In both sports it can be hell of a game with exciting defences, or more common, bore fest.

>>474634

He is a Steelers fan, forgive him. They are legally retarded.
>> Failadelphia !pvqrm3eqDk
It figures the Eagles tied the 1-8 Bengals. That fat fag Andy Reid will ensure the Eagles are in the top ten draft picks this year - then again if anyone can fuck something up it's him.

>>474927
More like bore fest, where 80% of the game is 3 and out, mix in at least 3 INT's on both sides, a couple fumbles from both sides, long driving high punts that are spotted inside the 10 yd line, and no one can drive into the red zone.

Why you say? Because if a "nil-nil" happens, then American football would fall down to the level of soccer and would be slapped with the label of association football, and that would be a laughingstock

Yes, they get a top 10 pick and once again trade it for later picks and draft some more scrubs.
>> Anonymous
>>475187
Well, having a really high draft pic can fuck some bad teams because of all the money that top 5 pick is going to command. Then they'll have a bust that will remain on the books forever and they can't sign anybody else.
