So /sp/ which NBA rookies have lived up to their expectations and which have choked?

Don't believe Beasley's stats. He's been a total dissapointment. He reminds me of Eddie House. Complete one way guy.

chalmers exceeded my expectations a bit, beasley expected more
>> ????
I do not believe God Shammgod's stats. Complete one gay guy.

Derrick Rose is by far the best player on a bad to average bulls team. I think he's lived up to his expectations.

DJ Augustine is playing suprisingly well, especially for the crap team he's on...

The ones that stand out are Rose, younger Gasol, and George Hill. Anthony Morrow's ridiculous scoring stint was pretty cool, but the warriors are failing so hard right now overall.

How in the hell is Marc Gasol scoring 12 points per game?
>> Lambchop's Death Legion !d7bMXbKy6Q
Rudy Fernandez and OJ Mayo exceeded expectations.

For me
Oden is underachieving in scoring but he is preforming well.
Beasley is as expected. Scoring but sucking.
Rose is way above my expectations. I thought he would suck and just overhyped.
Mayo is under preforming... only because I predicted him to be the top rookie.
Marc... about as expected.
Rudy is over preforming.

Brook Lopez is doing very good, coved Bynum well last night.

Robin is doing good as well for Shaq as it seems the season is only 41 games for him, every other night.

Javale McGee is doing good as starting center in the Wizards, mainly because the Wizards backup center sucks.

Rose? DERRICK ROSE? ROSE?
Portland pwned Chicago last week! It wasn't even a game and Rose wasn't even a factor!
ROSE? You kiddin' me?

Just something to think about.

I haven't seen a Spurs game all year, but George Hill is looking good now. Inconsistent shooting at first but he's strung together 4 straight 19+ point games and he was drafted as a defensive PG.

Derrick Rose has exceeded expectations.

Jason Thompson has exceeded expectations.

Anthony Morrow didn't even play tonight ;_; wtf Nelly.

Can't believe Chalmers has only been mentioned once in this thread.

Do you remember when rookies had more than half a month to "prove themselves"? I do. It is absolutely ridiculous to judge someone 15 or 16 games into his NBA career.

I've seen every Kings game and let me tell you JASON THOMPSON IS A STUD. This kid will be an all-star, he is that fucking good. He has it all, a great perimeter shot, great post moves, and a natural scoring ability. Thompson's only flaw is his inexperience, which leads to turnovers and bad shot selection, but let me tell you- he could be a candidate for ROTY.
