Did somebody say MVP?

Kevin Garnett is like the NBA version of Ray Lewis. Pump you the fuck up.

Also for MVP either Kobe or Lebron is getting it this year.

He murdered a guy at a pre-Super Bowl party and got away with it because he can rush the passer as well as eye the running back?

This is my favorite reply so far. Lebron deserves it, but Kobe is going to get it just because he doesn't have one yet.

Nice system guys, lol.

I think it's clear who the lakers real MVP was this year.

kobe plays in the west, which means he consistently faces better teams and players, to guard and be guarded by. he defends better than lebron. he's on a first place team (in the west no less).

i think these facts more than make up for the 2/2/2 difference in their stats. kobe deserves the mvp.

GARnett is on the "best" team. Like how Dirk won it last year.

I don't think the Celtics are going to get cunt punted out of the first round like Dallas.

I bet that was embarrassing for stern to have to present the MVP trophy at a press conference like that instead of a game.
>> Anonymous
>>30098
Well we know the Executive of the year is Kevin McHale for turning the Celtics into a contender.

nothing to do with my point.

DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO CHOOSES THE MVP?

Probably. That trade was way bigger raep than the Gasol trade. Kupchak comes in a respectable #2 for the trades he made this year though.

I believe in my heart that KG could beat any current NBA player in a fistfight, with the possible exception of Shaq... but Shaq would never throw a punch.

KG is softshit. Dirk could take him out.

LA got Gasol for absolutely nothing of worth (except for a couple of picks). Minnesota at least got Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes (along with a pick or two I forget) in return.

>>30231
Still KG >>> Gasol. KG is going to be in the HOF I bet.
>> Anonymous
>>30241
I think McHale gets it more for the fact that before that trade the Celtics are a terrible team, and after they are contender. At least the Lakers were somewhat competitive without Gasol.

I think Kupchak should win executive of the year personally because he kept 5 players he drafted in the past few years, the one guy that didn't work out(Cook) was traded for Ariza. Why the Gasol trade is huge isn't just because they got an allstar PF, but because they got rid of Kwame. I don't think people outside of LA can see why it's important unless their team is stuck with playing him for 20 minutes a game. What's more, remember the Shaq trade from 3 years ago? Looking back now, what Kupchak traded for is Odom, Gasol(Butler who got sent for Kwame then for Gasol), and a pick that became Bynum. I know Gasol's arrival is kind of late, but after 3 years Lakers can contend for at least 4 to 5 years without mortgaging their future or their bench. And either Gasol or Odom's contract can be moved if things don't work out.

No question. Nobody else this year is even close.

True but it's pretty much going to be Dany Ainge, even though he's only cleaning up the mess that he caused himself lol.
