Say Liverpool have more of a chance of winning the topping league than City do this year.

City is going to fail hard.

"The estimated wealth of the Al Nahyan family is an almost unimaginable $1 trillion (a thousand billion dollars) or more than £560bn. "

"Speaking to arabianbusiness.com, Dr Sulaiman revealed he had set his sights on Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, Arsenal maestro Cesc Fabregas and Liverpool striker Fernando Torres.

"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," said Dr Sulaiman.

"Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160m (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more, I would think $240m (£134m).

"But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United." "

fuck that =O

Ridiculous situation. How long before every premiership club is owned by billionares, destroying the balance of the game worldwide?

All this does is drives the prices up for mediocre players. 12 million for milner? 16 million for Darren Bent? 8 million Anton Ferdinand? What a poor, poor situation. Even Robinho, in my opinion, is extortionate at 32.5 million quid; players like Messi, Kaka, and C. Ronaldo are worth 30 - 40 million pounds. Having seen him play a few times, ill admit he is a great player, but Robinho isnt near that price bracket.

Anyway, its the fans who will end up paying for all of this insane over-investment in the long run, with price hikes on everything from merchandise to tickets. Thats what I think, anyway.

Wonder if it gets that bad FIFA impose Salary Caps. Can't see that happening though.

Ronaldo wants to play for Real Madrid.

Torres and Fabregas would only go to Barca if anywhere even if Man City offered more money.

Some things money can't buy.

City will be too far behind the top four in January for any REALLY big player to want to go there. I think they'll get a few people like Arshavin and Mario Gomez

They've got Robson de Souza now.

Ronaldo only wanted to leave for Madrid because he loved them as a kid. It was never about money. He already gets 120K/week at United.

He'dve done anything to leave Madrid, that's an exceptional case. He'dve preferred a move to Chelsea, just as any player would join a big club over City.

who the fuck would go to City, unless it was for the lulz

Technically City could loan upto Before Jan, then buy them. Trouble City'll have is getting the big names without certain Champions League football.
