Part 1:Two teams remain undefeated in the NFL, Giants and Titans (slightly ironic that both teams are named after essentially the same thing). Which team will remain so for longer? My bet is on the Titans.
Titans remaining schedule:
6. Bye
7. TEN @ KC
8. IND @ TEN
9. GB @ TEN
10. TEN @ CHI
11. TEN @ JAC
12. NYJ @ TEN
13. TEN @ DET
14. CLE @ TEN
15. TEN @ HOU
16. PIT @ TEN
17. TEN @ IND

Gonna be tough for NY to stay undefeated in the NFC East, if they can... I'll be very, very impressed.

Re Titans schedule:
I don't see the Colts beating the Titans at home, even if they turn shit around majorly. Green Bay could give them some trouble, but I don't think they will lose that game. Week 10 at Chicago is the real game to watch out for imo. Chicago's D can hang with anyone and they seem to be getting some rhythm on offense. The Jags in their house could pull it off, but again, I just don't see it. Fast forward to week 16 and they host the Steelers and that could be another chance to drop a game.

Re Giants schedule:
At Pittsburg in week 8 is going to be a very tough match for the defending Super Bowl champs. Week 9 hosting Dallas will be tricky for the Giants to pull out a win. Dallas is certainly one of the best teams in the NFL and the Giants recent dropped both regular season games against Dallas last year. I'm going to say the Giants split their games against Dallas this year, winning the first at home. Then right after that the Giants have to play in Philly, if the Eagles are healthy I say the Giants lose. But if McNabb and Westbrook aren't 90-100% then the Giants win. Right after that the Giants host the Ravens and their brutal defense. I think the Giants will win that game, but only because the Ravens look inept on offense. That's 4 very tough oponnents in a row and I can't see the Giants winning all 4 games. At Dallas in week 15 will probably go in the loss column, followed by two more tough games hosting the Panthers and then playing the Vikings away.

Re which team is better:
The Titans have remained undefeated for one game longer and against much tougher opponents than the Giants. Their defense has allowed the fewest points of any team in the NFL. The Giants however are 1st in the league in points scored on offense, while the Titans are a mediocre 13th. The Giants have the 2nd ranked defense in points allowed.

Of the two unbeaten teams I feel the Giants are stronger, they are more balanced as far as the three phases of the game, offense, defense, and special teams than the Titans, and their offense is light years ahead.

Can't believe the Titans are still undefeated with Collins at the helm. Yet strangely, I can see the Titans going longer undefeated than the Giants just because of the schedule.

If the Giants can knock off the Steelers and the Cowboys in Giants Stadium, they have a pretty good shot of going undefeated until the Redskins game. Westbrook seems like he's going to be gone for a while, and if he is, they should be able to win in Philly.

The Browns are finally healthy, that could be a trap game.
>> Anonymous
>>388627until the Redskins game

why do people keep putting the redskins in the same league with a team like the giants? they beat em before and they're going to do it again. the only threat to the giants going `16-0 is the two against the cowboys and the eagles have an offchance (much like the redskins) of pulling out a fluke

NYG won't make it past Cardinals.

I agree with you on the Redskins.

>the only threat to the giants going `16-0 is the two against the cowboys and the eagles have an offchance (much like the redskins) of pulling out a fluke

Why do people continue to think that?

People that think that way always eat there words.

>Giants and Titans (slightly ironic that both teams are named after essentially the same thing).

It's not ironic, it's just coincidental.

it's like this.. in the remaining 12 games for the giants, the only teams they match up against who have a good chance of winning are the cowboys (pretty good chance) and the eagles and skins (slim chance)

odds are the giants are going to lose at least one game this year, but besides the cowboys their schedule is filled with stuff they can handle easy, hence there really aren't any viable threats to going 16-0. for all we know SF could win this weekend, but it probably won't happen.

tl;dr - giants will probably lose a game this year but good luck figuring out which one because they outmatch the opposition in each of their remaining games

>>388642

Because the Redskins are the better team. The Giants pounded on the Redskins a week before their new system was implemented, and many roster issues were still being worked out. Since that week, the Skins have faced down the best teams in the NFC while the Giants have struggled against some of the creampuffs.

facepam.jg

Whats with everyone thinking that they can go undefeated in the regular season just because the
Patriots did?

Not probably. You WILL lose a game.

yeah the giants really struggled against the seahawks this week. and that 41-13 win in week 2? struggle? the only game that was a struggle was the win over the bengals. exempting that the giants' defense has allowed 26 over the other 3 games. i wouldn't call that struggling.

the foreskins have outscored the opposition by a combined 11 points this year across all their games to go to a 4-1 record. THAT's struggling to win.

the giants defense is going to absolutely crush the redskins. again. let's see if you guys can get to double digits this time around.

I would call struggling against the worst team in the AFC struggling.

Redskins opponents record: 15-9
Giants opponents record: 5-8
Giants opponents record sans redskins: 1-7

Face it Giantsfag, you haven't played a tough team yet and until you do (Week 8 at LEAST) you're not going to get any respect.

Blame the NFL for giving the defending Superbowl Champions a fucking creampuff schedule.

>>388699

Not the guy you are arguing with but, Giants beat the Redskins.

Lets use logic.

btw, about the Bengals, this is the NFL. All team are good even the shit ones. Every team can beat eevery team.

How many examples have we seen of this over the years.

wait...the Giants still beat the Bengals.

The Cowboys struggled against the worst team in the AFC, do they suck too?
>> Anonymous
I would worry that the Giants might lose to the Ravens, simply because the Giants have a rough schedule from week 8 to 11. After getting banged up by the Steelers, the Eagles, and the Cowboys, the Giants might have a few injuries that make getting past the Ravens defense a little difficult. Of course, this assumes that the Ravens offense manages to get past the Giant's defense...

It's hard to make it past that damn bird, especially considering Kurt Warner's deal with the devil is back on.

No one will go undefeated in the NFC East. Too deep. Way too deep.

Best case scenario, they clinch early and play backups vs. teams who need wins to make the playoffs in weeks 14-17 (in b4 LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE).

Some would say that the coincidence makes it ironic.

Giants lose first in week 8 in Pittsburgh

The only game that was close was against Cinci. And while the Cowboys won by a better margin against Cinci on Sunday if you saw the game you will know they struggled as well.

Titans will last longer, but the Giants are a better team in a tough division.

They will loose to Philly once and maybe to the eagles once.
