Last year North Texas played against a #2 seed (Memphis), and ran with them the entire game, until the superior team's stamina (they had a better RPI) closed out UNT in the end. I do believe there were #2 teams UNT could have beaten, as win Texas A&M-CC played Wisconsin into the final minute. If those teams switched opponents, UNT would have won.
So keep your fingers crossed for your seed/opponent. Unless you were referring to the women's team, in which case, you're gonna win the first game. So you've got that going for you.
