How about if Tech chokes we just put OU and Texas in the Big 12 championship. No one wants to see Missouri get slaughtered again.

Everyone would love to see that but, as usual, all the good teams are in the Big 12 South.

OUfag here. Assuming they win Saturday, I'm thinking it would probably be Oklahoma. My reasoning is that the human polls tend to punish late-season losses more than early-season losses (the computer polls, not so much), and between the three teams Oklahoma lost first. That being said, in this situation I still don't really think Oklahoma is the best team of the three, Texas probably is, but it's just how the polls usually work.

OU fag here as well, i disagree with you on everything except the best team. I think TT is the better of the three.

^^ I failed, try again...

TTU fag here.

I got 4 tickets to the game and they cost so damn much.

This game better at least be a close one. Of course, I won't complain if we kill.

I personally like OU better than Texas and have always thought OU was the better team.

About their game vs. Texas...

The word "fluke" comes to mind, but is not quite the right word for this instance.

OUfag again. I wouldn't call the loss to Texas a fluke. The defense tanking after Reynolds went down coupled with Texas simply outplaying OU in the second half = win for the Longhorns.

Who the hell cares?

Florida will anal rape whoever emerges from the Big XII in the national championship game.

It all depends on how much 0U wins by. If it's a touchdown or less, Texas should go, since they beat 0U by ten at a neutral site while losing to Tech on the road on a last second touchdown. If 0U really puts a hurting on tech, its a much tougher call, but Tech would have to look pretty bad for me to justify putting 0U over a team they lost to pretty badly.

Does is matter? Mizzou will beat either team.

If OU wins out, they will get the nod for the Big 12 championship due to a three way tie. Then it will go to the Highest ranked in the BCS out of the 3. Now you cant tell me that after beating #2 and # 12 that they dont deserve the nod.

Texas beat three top 11 teams in a row, including #2 0U. Telling you they don't deserve the nod.

Oklahoma isn't going to win this week or the next, thus making this topic absolutely irrelevant.

fuck choklahoma, SECfag here and i think Texas has the best chance

Oklahoma only schedules scrubs and manages to choke to them all the time, like the fuckeyes... Texas at least can do some damage and take it all even.

Texas Tech has beaten some noteworthy people as well.

#1 Texas (kind of a big win there.)
#8 OK State
at-one-time #16 Kansas state
And a whole bunch of nobodies.

Am I the only one here who thinks it is weird that the only ranked teams basically anyone in the big XII has beaten were also in the big XII?

If we beat OU... Wouldn't it be hilarious if we choked to Baylor?

Why can't the Big XII schedule some bigger opponents from other conferences?

Personally, whether we would get embarrassed or actually put up a fight, I would love to see a TTU vs. Florida or Texas vs. LSU once in a while. As a matter of fact, why not slap BYU or Boise into our schedules? That way, when they (Boise or BYU) get their asses kicked by a REAL football team (OU, Texas, TTU) They won't be able to complain and ask why they are undefeated and still not in the top 5. (anyone remember Hawaii from last year?)

But no. We only play good teams in the same conference.

The butthurt in this thread is tremendous. I guess that's what happens when your team wins so many conference championships and national championships.

I think it depends. Each team has a legit case

Oklahoma: harder non-conference schedule, will have played slightly harder schedule overall

Texas: did beat OU, but this is made null by the fact that OU beat a Tech team that Texas couldn't, assuming a OU win over Tech and OSU.

I think it will come down to how well OU beats Tech and OSU if they do win, and how Texas looks against A&M. Vastly inferior A&M teams have beaten Texas two years in a row. I seriously doubt A&M wins, but they hate Texas with a burning passion and I wouldn't be surprised to see Texas only win by 10 points or so.
