>>89093 I still don't see where he fits into Liverpool's midfield. As I see it there are only two ways: 1. Benitez still holds a grudge against Alonso for staying with his girl while she was having a baby and is going to sell him. Which though I respect Rafa would just be bloody silly. Alonso's form this season should be forgiven I think since he had a very bad metatarsal injury that relapsed during his first game back. (tl;dr he's been out for most of the season and is rusty.) 2. Barry is going to play on the left. Since he's not fast I'd assume a Beckham style role of putting good balls into the box and cutting inside sometimes. I don't think we need this however since we already have several good passers (admittedly none of them have a good left foot like Barry) in the side. Rafa should be looking for more skillful and attacking wing players in the mold of Ronaldo during the summer IMO. Though whether he'll get the money to spend on them or they'll come from the academy I'm not sure.
Very likely to go out the door: Riise, Voronin, Kewell
Maybe: Pennant, Kuyt (Good player, but touch and lack of goals may do for him, I like him though for the work rate), Arbeloa, Crouch (New contract's been offered so it's up to him.)
Needed: Another top end striker, and attacking winger for both sides. A few of the younger players coming through.
