I'm wondering how /sp/ sees yesterday's Giants Steelers game. Giants good or Steelers bad? Obviously I don't think you can say it's all one or the other. What did you guys take out of that game?

I think the Steelers are a great team struggling with injuries and still playing at, more or less, a very high level. Ben was hit so many times I think it started to impact his ability to make good reads down field and that's what lead to so many picks. The pressure on Ben was a combination of Giants good and Steelers bad, we all know the Steelers O-line is struggling, but it's a testament to the prowess of the Giants D-line that they were able to consistently collapse the pocket even when outnumbered.

The long snapping blunder that lead to a safety was momentum changing, if you believe in that sort of thing, and the Giants took the ball down to score their only touchdown on the very next drive. On a 4th and long Toomer made a clutch reception that he basically had to go completely horizontal for, IMO the biggest play of the game.

Eli's jersey was completely clean at the end of the game, reaffirming my belief that this O-line is one of the best in the game.

Giants are the real deal...and I hate the Giants.

Everybody picks on Eli, and he is mistake prone, but he can be a good qb. And the Giants defense is really good, even without Osi.

I hate the fucking Giants, but they will make the postseason easy, even in that division.

I'm just curious, what team are you a fan of?

Also a correction on my part: The Toomer catch was on the drive before the safety, not after it.

i think to go to heinz field and come away with a win is something in itself as that place is fucking loud and intimidating in its own right with all the history there. i think the real testament to how good the giants are is that whether they are playing good or playing bad, it's that when the times comes for them to dig down and take care of business they get it done plain and simple. the steelers basically made a joke out of the number one rushing game in the nfl, the passing game for the first three quarters was nonexistant even with eli having all the time in the world and with burress, toomer, smith to throw to which says lots for the steelers battered secondary but when it mattered the giants got done what they needed done. the defense hammered down and the offense did what needed to be done. it may be time to give the giants a little bit of credit, they put up more yards than other team has against the nfls best ranked defense and minus two big plays the giants defense had a field day with the steelers

Steelers are shit, just like the rest of the AFC outside Tennessee.

>the steelers basically made a joke out of the number one rushing game in the nfl

Giants got more on the ground than anyone else has so far against the Steelers, but that's still under 100 yards, so I've gotta agree with you there.
