I don't know if this goes to /v/ or /sp/, but I doubt it matters.

What's the current track record of the Madden Curse? I forgot what happened to most of the people.

Fuck NTSC, GO PAL!

What are they gonna do if Favre changes teams?

Who cares? This series is better and, by comparison, does not curse its cover athletes.

Second. It's still the last football game I've bought.

Vince Young - was injured
Shaun Alexander - Injured twice, cut
Donovan McNabb - Constant injuries
Ray Lewis - Somehow avoided the curse
Michael Vick - lol
Marshall Faulk - Replaced by Stephen Jackson
Dante Culpepper - cut/traded by Vikings, I don't remember, has had no success in years
Eddie George - Had no success after being featured on Madden cover

3 good options

put rex grossman on the cover he becomes greatest player evarrr

maybe put brady on ther but 18-1 is gonna be on his tombstone so thats to hard

Me too.

maybe for his eventual record in superbowls. i wonder what he'll do once both of his hands are full of rings
>> Anonymous
>>233669
I don't think Brady is very popular.

Tebow should go undrafted. He's going to be shit in the pros.

How the fuck would you know that?

>Madden 2005 featured Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens. He broke his wrist, an injury that kept him out of the last game of the regular season. It was also Lewis' first season without a single interception, after posting a career-high 6 the previous year. The Baltimore Ravens also failed to make the playoffs that season (2004), after winning their division the year before. Furthermore, in Week 6 the following year, Ray Lewis' season was ended by an injury.

Probably the most lucky out of all of them.

Becuase he's a glorified fullback with a semi-decent arm and can only hit a WR if he's open by about 5 yards?

Sounds like Michael Vick

but but but if a guy is a great quarterback in college he MUST be a great NFL quarterback!

remember Charlie Ward? or Danny Wuerfful? and and Ryan Leaf?
>> Anonymous
>>233716

Couch and Crouch? David Carr? Alex Smith (so far)?
>> Anonymous
btw, before the Dog thing, Vick broke his leg severely in the pre season the same year he was on the cover.
>> Anonymous
tebow sucks....right. 3200 yds passing and 32 tds must have just been lucky.
>> Big Fat Iori
>>233716
Charlie ward played basketball instead. not a good example. i always wondered why he chose basket ball over football. he seemd to be much better at football.

he plays in a shit conference.

you forgot Dorsey Levens, who faded into obscurity after being on the cover.

quick, crazy, question, why did this guy decide to appear on the madden box after he retired? And then decided to to unretire. Mississippi hasn't burnt as much as we would have hoped. Dude is poor man's Ken Stabler.

moar than a decade later, this guy is relevant? RLY?

Brett Favre's curse is that he came out of retirement.

It was originally slated to be Barry Sanders, but he retired prior to the Season starting.

WTF, it's actually being released over there? How many NFL fans are over there?

That was the year vick broke his leg

A surprising amount. Not a Eurofag, but have some friends who moved here from London and they say NFL games are broadcast live, are popular, people really get into it.

Ray Lewis went on to win the super bowl that year and mvp didnt he?

"Quote the Raven, nevermore"... or until lewis is off the cover.

He won the SB like 5 years before he was on the cover.

Im laughing so hard at this, how the fuck did this guy get on the cover
>> Alakazam !!OEP6m59Bksc
>>234118

I'll say it again: An appearance on the QB Club box was a blessing as opposed to Madden's curse. That's why Steve Young and Brett Favre had so much success, and why Rich Gannon ended up taking his team to a Super Bowl.

Holy fuck, I just remembered that shit. Wow, they really scrambled after Barry retired.
