Formula 1 Spartacus
Any F1 fags in the house? Anyone got any predictions?

I'm thinking BMW Sauber will get their first win, but in the long run will probably end up doing worse this year than last. I hope Heikki does well though, I've been a fan of his ever since GP2.

I predict that F1 will lose six more drivers to NASCAR.

I just started watching F1 last season and it was far more entertaining and exciting than watching NASCAR. When does the new season start?

Basically the same as '07 with just a few changes.

Raikkonen for champion after a knock down drag out fight with Hamilton (who takes wins in Monaco and Silverstone). Kovalainen and Massa get a couple of wins each, but are never allowed to threaten their team mates.
Kubica gets his first win.
Alonso (hopefully) fails to score a win, blames the team, and ends up retiring because his douche-baggery has pissed off so many people that no team will hire him.

I also want beyond all want to see Sato put his Aguri on the podium.

When was the last time you saw an F1 driver HOLD the opposite lock on as they drove out of a corner?

wrong, Prost / Senna, NOTHING can beat this era.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new Japanese guy (was he on Toyota, I can't remember...) ends up doing. Aside from hitting the pit crew, he drove quite well for a new guy in the final race of last season.

Other than that, I wouldn't mind seeing Hamilton win, if only to spite my Kimi-nut friend.

If the ban of TC works as we all think, we may see something like that this year.

Hpefully, the season will be fought not only in a 4-way battle (Ferrari-McLaren). Expecting some heroics of the Toro Rossos and the Aguris, the first win for BMW (Kubica) the oficial Jap teams to not be so crap and some development (and improvement) for the Force India.

And if Alonso STFO, maybe he'll battle for the title.

Still running Toyota engines.

Nakajima, in the Williams Toyota

Second the Toro Rosso heroics, especially with Bourdais on board. That guy is fuckin' good.

I honestly thought BMW would get a win last season due to how well they had been doing, especially Heidfeld. Unfortunately that win never came, but I can see them doing well this season. The only question is "Will they do better?".

I'd like to see what McLaren have in store this season though. I'd like both Lewis and Heikki to do well, and hopefully Heikki will be able to at least win one race.

Hekki will score at least one win. I'd put money on it. You think Heidfeld will score BMW's 1st win? I honestly picture Kubica doing it, but I've been wrong before.

Ausfag here...

I would like to see Webber and the RB4 improve. Luck has never been on his side, like to see him get some more podiums and maybe a race win. Though it would be unlikely, but who knows.

Prediction for win in Melbourne GP: Raikkonen

Something that still won't happen: overtaking.

Alonso will still whine, Ferrari will still be fastest, Kimi will still not be quite as fast as his fans tote him to be, McLaren will still not be able to win the titles, Mark Webber will still be unlucky, Trulli will still be quick only on Saturday and so on and so forth. Not much will change.

Right now, I don't think we can garuntee who will win the title, but it'll be between Lewis and Kimi I reckon.
