That would be the greatest lulz EVER, if we find out he's juiced.

They're both awesome?

nah, my guess is that is because of his freaky arms and legs. he's double jointed, which means he can (among other things) bend his feet 15-20 degrees more than the average swimmer (streamlines the body under water etc). he also has freakishly long arms, which aren't proportioned to his body. basically he's a mutant, perfected for swimming.

eh, a dolphin could beat him

i won't bet on it

How fast can he run?

I hear swimmers are slow runners

Well with his short legs I can't imagine he'd be that fast.

Three of his gold were won as part of the US relay team not by him alone.

and didn't americans take silver in a couple of his solo races too? so even without phelps we would have got gold.

FUCK OFF EUROFAGS, USA WON WATER!!!!!

NBC explained a few days ago that not only does he have flipper-like 14" feet, but he's double jointed, has huge hands, the lower body of a man 6'0" (thus allowing to push off with more power) and the upper body of a man 6'8" (giving him a longer, more efficient stroke).

Factor in a ridiculous work ethic, and you have a world class swimmer.

World-class? I think Phelps has far surpassed that.

If you taught Kobe Bryant how to swim, he could beat Phelps

No, while the USA did win gold and silver in backstroke, Phelps didn't compete there.
And I was merely pointing out that you can't simply substract Phelps' medals from the USA since he only won 5 on his own.

your post is a great example why silver is a first on the losers list because you didn't remember them
