Yeah, it's going to be ugly.

GO PHILLY
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>88691

All the trash on the ice after game 4 in Philly is going to be ugly.

You have no chance.

Your only hope is to bring in some AHLers to slash the wrists of Hossa, Crosby, Malkin and Gonchar.

So, we have one line and a defenseman to shutdown?
Easy enough.

>So, we have one line and a defenseman to shutdown?

You can't shut them down. Your only hope is to step up your thuggery levels. Slash wrists or get swept.

You shouldn't even be lacing up against this team.
>> Anonymous
>>88761
>your thuggery levels

You obviously haven't seen the new Flyers team

We already shut down the leagues leading scorer and the leagues leading scoring team. Bring on your one dimensional pussies.

you gotta be careful not to "tap" them, or they might get hurt and fall
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>88768

Kovalev is about the same level as Sykora. Pittsburgh's talent level is much higher.

>Bring on your one dimensional pussies.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

You might want to stop watching Comcast and start watching some real Hockey analysis. It's obvious you have no firsthand knowledge of the sport.
>> Anonymous
>>88772
The only person on your teamn who had more points than Kovalev is Malkin. Hell, Sykora only had one more point than Mark Streit. And regardless, that doesn't change the fact that Montreal was the leagues highest scoring team.

And I don't have Comcast here you americunt.
>> Anonymous
>>88758

I believe Malkin actually plays on a seperate line from Crosby and Hossa. But they all play together on the man-advantage.

Timmonen will be draped on Malkin the entire series, same with Hatcher on Crosby. Gonchar will have the opportunity to be a factor like Mike Green was for Washington, but if the Flyers keep their heads, he won't be a big deal.

Flyers have had two series to prepare them for the MOST OFFENSIVELY DEEP TEAM IN THE NHL, and have already seen everything the Pens can throw at them. Like I said already Gonchar -> Green as well as Malkin -> Ovechkin, Crosby + Hossa -> Koivu + Kovalev. The key was, those teams could only put those players out a portion of the game while Philadelphia can roll four lines without losing their effectiveness.

Fleury is the only X-factor the Pens can throw at Philly. He's more experienced than the last two young goaltenders and may not crack as quickly as Huet and Price.
>> Anonymous
Hey CB, why is it with all this "scoring talent" you only have 5 players in the playoffs with more than 5 points?
>> Anonymous
CB as usual is counting his chickens long before they hatch, last I checked there's still half the playoffs left. The degree of overconfidence he displays is dangerous, it's the kind of thing that can lead to fuckups like Detroit's 2006 first round. If an 8th-seed team can fight its way to game 7 of the SCF I have no reason to discount ANY team the Pens face against.
>> Anonymous
>>88761
>Your only hope is to step up your thuggery levels

As a wingsfag I support this. Put Malkin and Cindy in stretchers just in time to face us in the SCF.

No doubt, The Flyers will shut down the Penguins scoring line and then go from there to dismantle Fleury.

Victory is ours. I think the only thing I worry about is the Red Wings matchup.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>88942

>The Flyers will shut down the Penguins scoring line

"Scoring LINE"?

How can you comment on a team you know absolute nothing about?

This isn't the Flyers, we have 2 scoring lines better than your first line.

>I think the only thing I worry about is the Red Wings matchup.

You THINK you worry? Are you fucking retarded?

Enjoy anticipation of the series. You won't have another good feeling for the rest of the week.

>This isn't the Flyers, we have 2 scoring lines better than your first line.

Really? then explain why the Penguins have only 5 players with more than 5 points, and Philly have 9?

Philly have all 3 top lines rolling. Good luck trying to stop them.

>we have 2 scoring lines better than your first line

And the Flyers' 3rd and 4th lines are way beyond whatever else the Pens send on the ice.

4 good lines > 2 great lines and 2 shit lines.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>89112

>Really? then explain why the Penguins have only 5 players with more than 5 points, and Philly have 9?

Simple. Only a retard would ask a question with such an easy fucking answer.

The Flyers have played THREE MORE GAMES. That's three more playoff intensity, brutal, attrition games. Three more games(3 more loses) to rack up meaningless points. The Pens have dominated EVERY game. The Flyers have not.

>The Pens have dominated EVERY game.

OH YOU!

ITT CB being.. well CB.

With the way you talk, you would expect Malkin, Crosby and the to be LEADING THE PLAYOFFS IN EVERY CATEGORY BECAUSE OF HOW AWESUM THEY ARE. REGARDLESS, if they played fewer games or not.

Leave CB to his delusional dreams.

I know Philly will win this round for sure, the only problem is Detroit/Dallas.

>A washed up Devil

63(28G) points is washed up? I guess everyone except Richards and Briere on the entire Flyers roster is a fucking nothing then.

>Guy-Who-Stands-In-Front-Of-The-Net #346232

51 point scorer with 27 goals in the Regular season and 9 points in 9 games in the playoffs. Not to mention his huge hitting numbers.

He's been dominant.
>> Anonymous
>>89169I guess everyone except Richards and Briere on the entire Flyers roster is a fucking nothing then

Considering this is your general opinion of the Flyers anyway, I don't see why you'd bother trying to use this against us? It's a team of Nobodies that's going to waltz right through the Conference finals without a sweat.
>> Anonymous

Funny, you keep frothing about the Pens' offense, yet they still failed to score more goals than the Flyers in the regular season.

I have a dilemma in the eastern playoff series. I am a Boston Bruins diehard fan (lol). As such I am already ticked at the Flyers for taking out Bergeron and Alberts.

However, the Flyers knocked out Montreal, who I have hated with a passion since I was born. Plus Pittsburgh consists of a bunch of pussies. And yet again I have some nostalgia for the days of Pittsburgh with Jagr and Mario despite being a fan of a different team.

So, /sp/, I ask you...who do I root for? Flyers or Penguins?

Pic mostly unrelated.

>> Anonymous
>>89504
It went to 4th overtime. For all intents and purposes they played seven games of hockey
>> Anonymous
>>89497

Hockey is more than just watching the goalies play. The Stars did shit-all while San Jose made ineffective rush after ineffective rush.

The only thing comparable in the East was watching Pittsburgh and New York muck about in the neutral zone for two games.

Next thing, you'll tell me that Colorado/Minnesota series was entertaining because of the overtime games. Spoilers: No one wants to watch Minnesota play more than sixty minutes.
>> Anonymous
>>89508
>Hockey is more than just watching the goalies play.

The argument was that the goalies were being bored to death. Which is clearly bullshit since both of them had to make absolutely unreal saves.
>> Anonymous
>>89507
You can't bullshit that because that would imply the Sharks "won" Game 6. In terms of TIME, yes, they played pretty much 7 games, but that's not the point. Dallas could still have lost and the series wouldn't have been over.

Game 7s are serious business.
