Parcells heavily favored the running game IN DALLAS. He felt that since Romo was pretty much untested, at all, he was going to make it as easy as possible and set up a limited set of plays for Romo to use in 06.
>>314113 >>Yeah, because the defense really impacts his ability to be a high rated quarterback.
Having shit secondary = defense on the field longer = opposing teams scores more = Romo has to throw it more = general regression of stats. The more you throw, the more likely your stats are going to balance out.
>>When they're Terrel fucking Owens, Patrick Crayton, and Jason Witten for a TE, it's more of a quality over quantity issue.
You mean Terrell "LOLZ MOST DROPZ IN LEAGUE" Owens, a third-stringer, and Witten? Dear god why is it that whenever someone tries to legitimately say Owens is good, people lawl at him, but when talking about Romo he's suddenly given his due? Arizona has two top 10-15 receivers in Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, both of whom are basically younger versions of Terrell Owens with better hands and a Pro Bowl runningback in Edgerrin James and it took Kurt fucking Warner to get the offense to not look like crap. Peyton Manning also has two number 1 receivers, a first round draft pick receiver, a very good receiving tight end in Dallas Clark, and Joseph Addai/previous Edgerrin James. He also didn't win a playoff game his first two years starting. I guarantee you that you considered him a top 2 quarterback before he won that Superbowl on the back of his defense and still sucks in the playoffs. Shut the fuck up
