Normally any Pro vs. College question is bullshit...

but would the Memphis Tigers beat the current Heat lineup more than 50% of the time? The Heat are so terrible that the more I think about it, the more plausible it sounds.

The Heat would win just on overall size and dominance.

shaq does not play for the heat anymore bud.

Yeah, but most college players go undrafted. They are scrubs, and only the really good players make it to the NBA. A lot of players are too slow, small or untalented to compete in the NBA. Hence, an nba team, even one as bad as the current Heat (sans marion and dwade, like tonite) would probably destroy any college team.

Memphis looks good because they beat a bunch of other college teams, not because they beat a bunch of NBA teams.

Most colleges can score more than 54 points a game, so yeah, The Heat would lose...

im inlined to side with the NBA fags here buttt just as an experiment consider this... some argue that there are 5 maybe 6 future NBA players on the Memphis Tigers roster right now. (shawn taggert plays off the bench) the test is simple, pick a starting 5, dorsey, roberts, rose, etc. and play them against the starting five of the miami heat for what would be an NBA quarter, im not sure 10 minutes? the coaches would have time outs and such.

Key word being "future". Right now, Wade, Marion, Haslem and Davis are completely out of the league of anyone on Memphis' roster.

Wade and Marion didn't play tonight, though. I'm talking about this specific lineup

speaks the truth. heat/memphis
lsu/dolphins
whatever it doesnt matter college team only has a couple of pro players while the heat and dolphins are all pros. Pros will everytime even the bench

with NBA rules Heat win 95% of the time with collage rules Heat win 100% of the time.

shorter 3 arc and 2 20 min halfs Miami can just chuck up easy 3s and Hack-a-Shaq Memphis all day.

Heat are the worst pro team today but they are still pros
>> Anonymous
anybody who thinks it is even plausible for memphis to beat the current miami heat squad is clearly not capable of rational thought.

do you know memphis' FT% as a team? that stat alone would be enough to tell you how this matchup would end up.

Grown men vs. kids?
They won't know how to defend Shawn Marion's ugly shot.
