Dallas isn't going out like THAT Negrodamus the 9000th !3GqYIJ3Obs
Jerry Jones recently shot down the possibility of making a deal for Detroit WR Roy Williams. Maybe Jerry was fibbing. Or perhaps he's changed his mind. Or maybe the Lions are feeding NFL Network's Adam Schefter misinformation to try to drive up Williams' price.

Whatever the case may be, ProFootballTalk.com has a post up about Schefter's report that the Cowboys have an offer on the table ... and the Lions want more than a first-round pick for an erratic WR in the final season of his contract.

Trade deadline is at 3 p.m. Dallas time.

UPDATE: Here's a link to Schefter's blog post about the Williams' talks. An excerpt:

The Lions do, in fact, have an offer from the Dallas Cowboys that is believed to be for at least a first-round draft pick. It will be up to Detroit to see if it can get more before deciding whether to take Dallas' deal.

I'd definitely give up a first round pick for Roy Williams. The guy is only 26, and on the last year of his contract. Sam Hurd is out for the season, so the Cowboys have 3 wide receivers on the roster currently. I don't know if I'd be willing to part with much more than a first rounder, perhaps maybe a 6th in the 2010 draft or something.

The Cowboys already have the Roy Williams who helped create a rule against one of his cheap tackles.

Why do they want to add the lazy Roy Williams with the 'me' attitude?

Oh right, Cowboys. Never mind.

lol at people thinking that trading for Roy Williams will help. Roy Williams doesn't play defense, nor help pass protect romo which are the Cowboys main problems.
