National championships aside, what about other bowl games?
Beat Notre Dame in 2005. Beat Washington State in 2004. Beat Kansas State in 2003. Beat Miami in 2002.
I mean, you could go back as far as you want. Ohio State is a good team historically, and if you disagree then you don't know jack shit about football. No, we're not the best, but to say we suck, especially under Tressel, is just plain ignorant.
Let's look at OSU vs. SEC teams:
Ohio State: 7 championships, 7 Heismans, 173 All-Americans
vs.
Alabama: 12 championships, 0 Heismans, 92 All-Americans Arkansas: 1 championship, 0 Heismans, 45 All-Americans Auburn: 1 championship, 2 Heismans, 62 All-Americans Florida: 2 championships, 3 Heismans, (LOL I DUNNO) All-Americans Georgia: 2 championships, 2 Heismans, 66 All-Americans Kentucky: Dick LSU: 3 championships, 1 Heisman, (LOL I DUNNO) All-Americans Ole Miss: 3 championships, 0 Heismans, 42 All-Americans Mississippi State: 0 championships, 0 Heismans, 14 All-Americans South Carolina: 0 championships, 1 Heisman, 51 All-Americans Tennessee: 4 championships, 0 Heismans, 70 All-Americans Vanderbilt: Dick
The only team worth mentioning is Alabama, but they don't even come close with Heisman winners or All-Americans.
Here are some GOOD teams:
USC: 7 championships, 7 Heismans, 148 All-Americans Notre Dame: 11 championships, 7 Heismans, 178 All-Americans Oklahoma: 7 championships, 4 Heismans, 144 All-Americans Miami: 5 championships, 2 Heismans, 72 All-Americans
