Great backfield decoy? Or greatest?
>> Anonymous
deciding to play this guy as Deuce's backup when he got injured was the single biggest contributing mistake to our missing the playoffs this year.

If they had just fucking given Pierre Thomas the ball before the last game of the season we might have at least gone 9-7. Hopefully now Payton understands that Bush is not a tailback as much as he is a slot receiver.
>> Anonymous
Bush excels in the RB #2 role, but sucks as the main back.
>> Anonymous
No, the Cleveland Browns of 1952 carved out a negro halfback out of trunk of maple before they were ready to integrate, but it totally fooled the Pottsville Maroons and led to the Browns winning the Great Bronze Spittoon that year.
>> Anonymous
Bush isn't an RB. He's a WR that lines up in the I.
>> Anonymous
greatest. because he can actually do shit. who else is even close, kevin faulk?
>> Anonymous
Man, there should totally be a minor league for the NFL. It would be awesome. I'd love to see the Canton Bulldogs play the Pottsville Miners for championship of the Atlantic Coast League in front of 15,000 screaming fans.

The NFL needs a farm system, fucking reason MLB have less failures is because of the farm system, if they suck they will remain in the minor league for rest of their life.
>> Anonymous
>>22408

Fuck yeah, I would watch some minor league dudes run around and hit each other, but you better be damn sure it aint more than $35 a ticket.
>> Anonymous
>>22411

it would be a huge success in the rust belt I'd wager.

usc players are always so fucking overrated.
>> Anonymous
>>22425
"your size and speed made a fool out of me."

that fits reggie bush alright.
>> Anonymous
that's because USC is so overrated.

Christ I hate college football. It's not about merit, it's about media hype.
>> Anonymous
glen dorsey is going to be a bust, you heard it here first.
>> Anonymous
>>22369
is a backfield decoy someone who scares defenses because he can both run and catch? then id say no, Marshall Faulk wears that crown, and reggie isnt even close
>> Anonymous
>>22427
>>22432

>>22442
He had 2 good years, after he got his big contract. Look at him now, 559 yards and 3 TDs.
>> Anonymous
>>22445

Well to be fair, he plays for the Cardinals. alongside a gunslinger like Kurt Warner.

oh my fucking christ I am a fucking RETARD.
>> Lambchop's Death Legion
>>22432

Thats only because the best high school players want to go to the best college team, so the better teams just keep getting better or stay the same, and the worse teams just stay the same.

Its a perpetual cycle. Team wins championship. Team gets one of the best recruiting classes. Team wins another championship. etc. etc. etc.

The only exception to this is Notre Dame, because apparently they can fail every year and still end up with a fantastic recruiting class. God i hate ND.

same shit with frank gore, and he still got more rushing yards and TDs.
>> Lambchop's Death Legion
>>22460

they got Isaac Bruce now, so hopefully that'll open up the passing game a little.

in b4 "lolex smith"
>> Anonymous
>>22460

Same shit with Adrian Peterson the last couple weeks. He was on pace to breaking Dickerson's rushing record, than he got injured, and than the box was heavily stacked.

And who could Jackson throw to?
>> Anonymous
>>22463
wasnt darrell jackson suppose to do that?

College football is a bloated monster. I can only stomache it at the mid-major or FCS level, safely hidden away from hundred million dollar TV rights and the farcical BcS championship.

If I had my way every college sport would be more like college hockey or college baseball; small crowds in small stadiums. Like God intended amateurs to play football.
>> Anonymous
>>22463
What is a 35 year old receiver going to do to improve the passing game?
>> Anonymous
>>22473
...nothing....
>> Anonymous
Frank Gore is going to ask for a trade after the 08 season for another shitastic, where there is 9 man in the box.

You know where Marques Colston went to college? Hofstra! He was the best receiver of his class but through all the glitz and the glamor and the hundred thousand seat stadiums and endorsements he and countless other football players went by overlooked. Like all this media jizz about Darren McFaggot. Do you know that there are two CUSA runningbacks that ran for over 2000 yards this year? But they don't even get mentioned because playing at a small school somehow diminishes their accomplishments.

I just want a college football system where people are recognized for their talent and not for their pedigree.

>>22528
Compared to the countless of players that are in the NFL now that went to big schools? You also must realize that there is a reason those CUSA RB's don't get mentioned. (Kevin Smith and the other guy I forget) Mainly cause those conferences have terrible defenses so its easy to run all over those schools. I do agree that CFB can be too much of a business though.
>> Anonymous
>>22575

They also play on CUSA offenses, behind CUSA offensive lines.
>> Anonymous
lol Conference USA
>> Anonymous
>>22577
they also play against CUSA defenses. lol
