>>234090 God here; You see, Green Bay is publicly owned. As a result, because there is no true "Owner" to make a final decision, there is thousands of stock holders who flip out and bitch because a QB who has done well is gone. Because so many people own stock in the Packers, they are worried the value will go down if the new guy sucks. Now, you see, Green Bay sucked for nearly 30 years after Bart Starr left, so him taking the team from the toilet to the top of the NFL made him look like a sort of king, when he was only a piece of a chessboard leading GB to victory. This makes Packer fans feel like his leaving will start a new long shit hole for the team.
However, when you consider Green Bay had suck an excellent chance of getting to the Super Bowl again this year, you have to look at how he almost singlehandedly lost them that game, and the chance at winning it all again. However, the fans/shareholders put no blame on him, while the coaches and other players (rightfully) blamed him for his massive screw-ups in that game.
Really, the fans/shareholders love Favre because on one championship and his setting a lot of career records, so people look at him like a sort of god, even though they have one fucking Super Bowl win with him at QB, while other teams have won two-three Super Bowls in the time since he first won it all.
Really, he should have retired, but he refuses to, for he WANTS to win it all like Elway did to end his career, but that is not going to happen for him. His chances went with that last turnover in Overtime, and thus he needs to just shut up and leave. Since he won't, he will just see the team he plays for fail, due to the Madden curse. Enjoy the curse Favre, you faggot.
Love to all but Favre and Favre fans, God.
