That joke stopped being funny about three months ago. Last night's game was sold out, for crying out loud.

Seems to only sell out for Red Sox games. Any other team shows up and the fans won't give a shit.

Hmmm....A sold out sox game, never seen those before.

And to think, it only took one of the biggest games of the regular season, and the Rays to finally pick up some bandwagoners (ei: all fans)

The Bucs didn't even sell out their home opener for the first time in a decade this year. The economy absolutely sucks here and on a weeknight it's damn near impossible to get to the stadium on time if you're lucky enough to have a job.

>Sciesinski, 33, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct Thursday morning. He also admitted to chanting "Let's go, Red Sox!" in the back of the police van.

>Sciesinski said he was "striking back for Red Sox nation" for all the "hatred" from Rays fans.

>He wasn't drunk, he said, just "buzzed" after his third rum and Coke. He said he cursed in front of some kids but apologized. He said it was Rays fans who were being rowdy. He was just "heckling."

>He said he went limp when he got tackled and that he was threatened with the Taser after he had surrendered. And he said "they beat me up pretty bad."

This was on my local news station. He was sentenced to a day in jail, and was smiling and taking pictures of his face on the news paper when he got out.

He tried to RUN ACROSS THE RAYS' DUGOUT AND JUMP OUT ONTO THE FIELD. No, you weren't drunk at all.

>Police say Sciesinski wouldn't stop resisting or allow himself to be handcuffed until McGovern threatened to shock him with the Taser.

I was at the game. This guy was out of control. He was telling little kids to fuck him, getting in their face, screaming about how great the Red Sox were.

That he only spent one night in jail is an abomination.

No, it's still funny. The rays fan base got 100x bigger in one year. Nobody cared before. People will forget and stop caring again once they lose in the playoffs.
