MATT MILLEN ACTUALLY GETS FIRED?! Anonymous
HOLY FUCK.

I've never even BEEN to Michigan, but today was the greatest sports news I've heard in YEARS. Apparently, THERE IS A GOD.

you're not saying you're a lions fan are you?

I almost cried.

Yes. Now God's going back on his sabbatical. Seriously, it took what, 3 coaches, four completely botched drafts, without a single redeeming pick, and twice as many years for him to finally get fired?

No. No one is.

Because of Matt Millen.

For nearly a decade, the NFL has been made up of 30 professional teams, and Arizona and Detroit.

While Arizona has about 50 things wrong with them, Detroit had ONE... and he must have been wrapping his tight asshole around the owners cock, because there is NO OTHER POSSIBLE EXPLANATION FOR THIS FAGGOTRY.

It would be as if the President of the United States invaded two countries without Congressional approval, bankrupted the economy, and tried to get his best buddy from Texas a seat on the Supreme Court. I mean, there's no WAY someone like that could stay employed!!

Detroit's owner should share equal blame with M&M.

Cleveland's been sporting a JV squad for awhile too.

Millen was fail, no doubt...most losses by any NFL team since 2001 when he took over. However, Detroit's problems are much deeper than that. Just remember...the Lions have not won a playoff game since Eisenhower was President. Think about that a good long time. Not even during the Barry Sanders years could they get a wild card/first round playoff victory (much less even make the playoffs at all). The problem is the owner who, IIRC, has been in charge of this mess since Johnson was President. The younger Ford has already made his move with this excellent power play that deposed Millen. Once the old Ford dies or finally gives up and lives his remaining days in deserved shame, THEN Lions fans can truly think about seeing a contender.

Then points to the younger dude for showing BALLS.

Do we see this with the LA Clippers? AZ Cardinals? Texas Rangers? NO. Because those are organizations of pussies, run by the incompetent.

At least Detroit did SOMEthing right... there is hope. Unlike those other places I just mentioned.

PLAYOFFS!?

Dude.

If I were Al Davis's kid, I'd push him out of a moving car.

At the fucking Daytona 500.

With witnesses.

... and no court in the land would convict me.

They've won one playoff game; it was all the way back in 1991. That is the only playoff win from 58-08.
The Lions just have a retarded owner, had a retarded GM, and have been and always will be the shitty team in town. No wonder my dad, a guy who fucking grew up on 8 Mile (I am not shitting you on this; his house was a hell hole) loved the Wings, loved the Tigers, loved the Pistons, but hated the Lions, to the point that he became a Steelers fan, because he felt they actually represented athletes actually trying to do something other than suck.

Semirelated: he mentioned being at a Thanksgiving Day game for the Lions back in the early seventies in Detroit at Tiger Stadium for free, and mentioned how the Lions often had to give away assloads of tickets for free, even for games against their rivals, and even on Thanksgiving games, to get Tiger Stadium close to full. He said he only thinks people showed up at Lions games in the last 30 years because the NFL's popularity in general, and not the Lions.
Hell, Detroit is the one place fans of the visiting teams will outnumber fans of the home team at the games; thats how much the Lions suck.

WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT PLAYOFFS?!

Okay, so Millen fucking stooged Detroit since the day he was hired. But, as mentioned, the problem runs deeper.

Millen didn't through those interceptions against the Packers. Kitna did. I say we kidnap Matt Ryan and shave his head. Or even get an injured Tom Brady in a wheelchair.

The Rangers are constantly changing GMs, they just keep hiring shit ones.

it's gonna take awhile to unfuck millen's mess. I'm trying to think of who Detroit has that's worth building around, and so far i've got:
1. Calvin Johnson.
2. Ernie Simms.

wow. does everyone else on Detroit suck that much? Are they all really that anon?
>> Chocolate Hitler !!WCFvcOo5Pka
I love how Detroit pawns their suckitude on Matt Millen.

Fuck the Lions.

I hope they never win a game again.

Have you seen what this man has used his first round draft picks on while President? Heres the list.

Joey Harrington (2002)
Charles Rogers (2003)
Roy Williams (2004)
Kevin Jones (2004)
Mike Williams (2005)
Ernie Sims (2006)
Calvin Johnson (2007)
Gosder Cherilus (2008)

All of those picks are in the top 10 with the exception of Cherilus and Jones. FOUR WIDE RECEIVERS IN 7 YEARS TAKEN WITH TOP 10 PICKS. 2 of them don't even play anymore. Just looking at some of the players they could have had from these failure draft picks makes me rage, at positions we had and still need help at 7 years later.

Not to mention the rest of his shit picks, Drew Stanton in the 2nd round?

The man has caused so much hell over the past 7 years for Lions fans.

there are still lions fans left?
BTW: what did he give up to move up and get KJ? I always liked KJ, just couldn't stay healthy.

I forgot, they traded down a spot with Cleveland which gave them an additional pick and I think they packaged that and a 4th for KC's 1st?

Should be noted though that the reason they traded down was because they didn't get Sean Taylor.

>was because they didn't get Sean Taylor.

they sure dodged a bullet with that one.

Clippers just made a roster swap this offseason and the AZ Cardinals did good by jumping on Kurt Warner, Anquan Boldin, and Larry Fitzgerald.

Well, at least he made it his personal mission to get rid of all the faggots and homosexuals in the organization while he was here.

It's okay, you can still get that 10-win season!

i think you made an omission.

if nothing else its a display of how bad the buccos truly are. people forget they even exist even when talking about the worst teams.
