NFL Power Rankings-Week 2

>1. Cowboys: This team owns Sept. and Oct. It made the Browns look awful.
>2. Steelers: New England has been a thorn in the side of the Steelers for quite some time. With Tom Brady out, the Steelers can start to dream big.
>3. Chargers: The Chargers are too good to keep squandering games in the first month.
>4, Saints: Defensive overhaul is working wonders and Reggie Bush is off to a hot start.
>5. Giants: Three teams in The Beast could be in the top five, but that would be blatant favoritism.
>6. Eagles
>6. Eagles
>6.
>6

Chargers lose to the Panthers and yet are still #3?
>> Anonymous
Chargers should not be that high after losing to the Panthers
>> Anonymous
>>326145
Even more rageworthy. Philly should have the 5 spot and they should be 6.
>> Anonymous
Seahawks, Vikings, and Jets ranked ahead of the Broncos.

List = Not taken seriously.
>> Anonymous
Cowboys and Steelers beat up on below-average teams

Saints almost lost to the Bucs, Giants almost lost to the Redskins

Chargers DID lose, to an average Panthers team

This list is about as truthful as a GOP press release
>> Anonymous
>>326138
i am so sick of this fucking bullshit hype. the chargers suck balls. LT is good. thats about fucking it. rivers is adequate. and gates is wonderful. and thats it the rest of the team is shitsquash

Superior.

>Giants almost lost to the Redskins
The score of that game was very misleading.
>> Anonymous
>>326341
MUCH better, even if I disagree with a few picks.

Much much better.
>> Anonymous
>>326341

Saints shouldn't be that high yet, and the middle is iffy.
>> Anonymous
>>326370
I think they should be. Last year was a down year, not a true measure of their team. This years team is looking a lot like an improved team from the year they went to the championship game.
>> Anonymous
>>326341
Saints way too high
titans second best team in afc? nigga please
chargers above broncos and bills? bullshit
miami way too low
>> Anonymous
>>326388
You are a retard.
>> Anonymous
>>326405
Nice baseless attack. Can you actually start discussing your views instead of communicating solely with ad hominem?
>> Anonymous
>>326410
no, you are a retard
>> Anonymous
>>326410

Well, look at it like this.

Dallas killed the Browns 28-10. Dallas gets 1 and Browns get 20 according to these rankings. Saints beat the Bucs 24-20 in a game that came down to the end even though the Bucs had a struggling offense most of the game. Saints get 3, Bucs get 22. Either the saints should be lower, or bucs should be higher.
>> Anonymous
>>326438
Saints v Bucs is always like that. It's a division rivalry game.
>> Anonymous
>>326438
The Bucs are low because Garcia is injured.
>> Anonymous
>>326438
Both. The Bucs should probably be around 14-16. While the Saints should be around 9-11.

The reason they are that high is that the entire sports media is riding their dick, like usual. It's like they want them to win more than ANYTHING, but they just always fall short somewhere.
>> Anonymous
>>326341
Did Miami really look worse then the Rams, Chiefs, Lions, and 49ers? They should be above the Texans at least. They played a solid game, running was smooth, Pennington looks very solid. Sure we need some wide-recievers but we are young right now.

If it weren't for so many young-team errors Jett Favre would be looking like a gigantic bust right now. That and the refs, but everyone will complain about them regardless (but seriously did you see that 'pass interference' and no call delay of game on that last touchdown drive by the Jets?)
>> Anonymous
it's nice seeing buffalo in the teens. people will start taking them a little more serious when they wipe the floor with the jags next sunday.
>> Anonymous
>>326462
the media is biased towards offensively minded teams. touchdowns are exciting, forcing your opponent to go 3 and out is not. just watch "top 10 plays of the week" for any network. 7 will be offensive plays, and the remaining 3 will be sacks or interceptions. a db could make the most amazing interception, and he probably wont even be in the top 5 of those 10.
>> Anonymous
>>326473
fuck yeah

jets and bills finish top 2 in afc east, both get to playoffs (fan of both and can't pick who i want to have division)
>> Anonymous
>>326504
Then the Bills face the Cowboys in the Super Bowl... And lose
>> Anonymous
>>326517

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE MEMORIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Sorry, it had to be said.
>> Anonymous

too bad it'll be the Saints
>> Anonymous
>>326341
>2. Giants
>Go ahead. Keep thinking they fluked their way to a Super Bowl last season. They just might do it again.
lol no
>> Anonymous
>>326530
Nah... They're gonna forfeit the season due to hurricanes hitting their hometown.
>> Anonymous
If we have an Eagles-Bills Super Bowl then everyone in the NFC East will have toppled the Bills on the world's biggest stage
>> Anonymous
>>326541

and how would the eagles do that if the bills have beaten them?
>> Anonymous
The saints got bumped up so high because they showed they actually have a competitive defense now.
>> Anonymous
>>326541
was it called the nfc east back then(early 90s)?
>> Anonymous
>>326566
yes, it has always been the NFC east except in the 60's when it was the capitol division.

>1. Cowboys: This team owns Sept. and Oct. It made the Browns look awful.
>It made the Browns look awful.
>look awful.

When is the media going to learn? The Browns have and always will be awful. Another assbeating from the Steelers this sunday should quiet that shithole and its' loudmouth fans for the rest of this season.

>2. Steelers: New England has been a thorn in the side of the Steelers for quite some time. With Tom Brady out, the Steelers can start to dream big.

New England hasn't impacted the Steelers in a significant way since 2004.

Please.

The Steelers lost to the Patriots last year in case you forgot, considering they tied the browns in wins i think it was pretty meaningful that they lost
>> Insane AssHole !HVAleLfxtM
>>326573
holy crap. the end of the world has come. I agree with CB. Just because the cowboys beat the shit outta Browns doesnt get us top spot. now if they go and beat the shit outta Philly (which they should) then give them that top spot.

But. The Patriots have been a thorn in the Steelers thigh's. Cause we all know who would rule the AFC if the Pats didnt.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>326581

Of course I remember, a horrid loudmouth rookie guaranteed a win.

Last time the Steeler beat the Patriot was when? I think 2004 but I know?

The Chargers?

God you are such a newfag to football. "the Browns will always be awful".

Remember when the Patriots sucked bad? Every team goes through shit some longer then others. I know the the whole Steeler and Browns hate each other thing is going on, but you sound like a fucking 12 year old.

COWBOY ONE! They just beat the BROWN by a lot!!!

>> Anonymous
>>326623
This is true, except for the Cardinals of course

Some of those teams are too high, mainly NFC ones.

Media is riding this balance of power possibly shifting to the NFC bullshit too much.
>> Insane AssHole !HVAleLfxtM

no defense.

>>326615
no clutch. and shitty overrated defense. and would be shitty offense with out LT.

>3. Chargers
A team that loses still in the Top 10.. In the top 5....? IN THE TOP FUCKING THREE? This makes the BCS look Intelligent.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>326623

Unless you were born in the 60s, you haven't seen the Browns succeed in the NFL.

The Browns blow until they manage to...

WIN.
>> Anonymous

In the Brown's defense, they were decent in the late 80's. Hell, they were 1:57 away from a Superbowl.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>327020

They won a few division championships.

That's nothing to brag about.

How many Super Bowls have they been to?

NOT AS MANY AS TEH STEALERS LOLMIRITE?
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>327046

Of course not, they haven't been to one yet.

The fan support was so weak, the team was moved out of Cleveland.

How embarrassing is that?

It's okay to hate on our city. Most of us don't like it to begin with. This city's been circling the drain for a long time.

That said, Ohio sports teams are a fucking JOKE. No amount of babbling about how much another city sucks will ever make up for how fucking terrible your teams are now, and have been for the last 100 years.
