I'll agree with here a a little bit but I don't see him getting traded. The Rockies are most liekly out of the playoffs already and Holliday is owned quite a bit a money and I can't see the Rockies dishes out more for an extension.

If they do trade Holliday, they'll ask for the farm.

out of the playoffs already? really? they're 15-25.

last season they started the year 18-27. i think their year ended up okay...

I'm sorry but I have to reply to this. It was a good story and all but what they did will most likely NEVER happen again. I'm not saying the Rockies are done, it's still early in the season but them doing what they did last year won't happen again.

... the yanks did the same thing IN THE SAME YEAR.

21-29... they finished 28 games over .500.

Everyone in the AL East knows the Yankees ALWAYS start to click in the summer and into the fall. Then....fall apart in October.

explain to me exactly why the rox can't be the same?

face it, you were wrong. the two teams had extremely similar starts, and both were already back up to .500 by the all-star break.

Do the Rockies have the players the Yankees do? No.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

why not? the yankees are old and overrated because THEY ARE THE YANKEES LOL. both teams have shitty pitching and really good hitting, and both teams benefitted from having a string of surprisingly good starts from bad pitchers.
