Seriously when the fuck are the polls gonna stop being biased towards USC..who have they beaten this year...Nebraska..a team that was ranked on the bottom half of the top 25, and the past 2 weeks they barely beat and very well could of lost to 2 unranked teams...and they are #3!

That spot should be for Michigan..who absolutely ran all over Notre Dame when they were ranked #2. And have beaten every other team easily. USC is a joke, their records are garbage becuz the pac 10 has been garbage the past few years, this team has never beaten anyone decent.

I'm sure that Oregon and CAL would disagree with you there.
>> Anonymous
yeah this year, not in years past.
>> Anonymous
Aside from this season, USC has been better than Oregon and Cal recently.

one of the most powerful, dominant dynasties ever. could have really cemented its claim as the best team in history of college football last year but the D was lacking. Still no other program has been better this decade...certainly not michigan lol

>>19784

While I really like USC, Miami has been just as dominant this decade. Miama owned the early years, USC was tops in the mid.

Since 1999:

Tennessee: 1 NC
Florida St: 1 NC
Oklahoma: 1 NC
Miami: 1 NC
Ohio St: 1 NC
LSU: 1 NC
USC: 1 NC
Texas: 1 NC

One-peats do not a dynasty make.

lol sooners
barely lost to Texas, only because D didn't know what to do with Young. Who is now kicking ass in the NFL, am i rite?

I notice nobody here is mentioning the Gators. Not so fast my friends.

lol wrong
USC: 2 national titles...granted 1 is shared but thats the system that they play in
>> Anonymous
>>19788
plus you put LSU on your list so might as well give the Trojans their share of that year's championship

...hating on the best team - a popular thing to do

oooh the gators good point, they are damn good
>> Anonymous
Last time I checked, the trophy belonged to LSU. If you wana try to give a piece of that championship to USC, then maybe that official title should be shared w/ Auburn, who deserved to be in that title game just as much, if not more, than USC the previous year

USC in the last three years:
3 trips to the BCS championship game
2 National Titles
thread over
>> Anonymous
I think one point being made is that they only have 2 trips and 1 title.
>> Anonymous
ok, lets revise then, shall we:

USC - 1 NT
LSU - 0 NT
Michigan '97 - 0 NT
Nebraska '97 - 0 NT

sounds about right

>>20004

USC played in the national championship game in 2005 and 2006. They won in 2005. In 2004 they were in the Rose Bowl, not the NC game. LSU beat OK in that game, winning the NC.

Just because a bunch of stuck up writers say you win a NC doesn't make it so. The crystal football is in Baton Rouge.

I'm a USC fan and even I don't think they deserve to be ranked #1. But just watch: When the BCS rankings come out on Sunday, USC -WILL- be #1, because all their wins came against major conference teams. Ohio State, Florida, and Michigan can't claim that.

lol computer rankings

Haha keep telling yourself that kid, if it makes you feel better at night. The AP has been around far longer than the BCS and is a prestigious nationally recognized ranking. The BCS itself recognizes that there was a split NC that year on their website, and this is nothing new... its happened in the past. Everybody outside of Louisiana seems to understand this.

Enjoy your 2 losses! :)

oh how very very wrong you are
the Rose Bowl, much like last year, was the national championship in 2004. hence USC won that national championship.

USC is almost as overrated as Notre Dame.

>>20036

Except Notre Dame loses.

this is how we know a team like the Trojans is great - jealous people (and there are a lot of them in this thread) start hating on their unparalleled success

I'm a michigan fan, but I think USC is where they deserve to be, Nebraska is on its way back into bcs contention, and USC, despite the unconvincing victories, are still undefeated. I expect Cal or Oregon to take away their throne, but until that happens.. ugh.

well, we'll still have to deal with USC being in top 5.

what's people's take on florida this year?
>> Anonymous
>>20094
if they win out the rest of their crazy schedule its probably a given they'll be in the championship game despite who else might be undefeated. i have enjoyed USC's climb back to the very top of college football these past few years but i wasnt expecting hueg things this season anyhow what with this being a brand new team.

Good luck winning a championship with that Evangel trash QB.

Over rated? I don't think so, they've beaten Nebraska and Arkansas (who man handled Auburn), who are both in the top 25. They've also lost their top two wide receivers (Jarret and Smith) and their entire contingent of h-backs, which may help explain why their offense has been stuttering lately.

They are also still undefeated, so as of yet there has been no reason for them to be moved down. But with the continous negative media coverage, im sure pollsters are just looking for an excuse and as mentioned before there are plenty of opportunities for thiem to slip up with Oregon, Notre Dame and Cal coming up.
