Am I the only one that misses selfish Kobe? Maybe the team wasnt benefiting but who knows if ill ever see another 81 point game or 9 game 40+ point streak. Lebron doesnt look like he will fill that void and with the international influence, superstars are more about the team than ever. Being born in 1988 Jordans best years are only ESPNClassic reruns to me and Kobe could be the last unstoppable player ever.

I want NO.8 back, forget NO.24

lebron still has alot of career ahead of him, if he ever gets a team with a worthwhile point guard he could make some serious noise

it just seems to me he is still trying to figure out his game

I am going to break this down to you in a very polite, sports bloggish, master-to-cricket manner

*i just wanted to put the asterisk up because this is 4chan, and you know what goes on on 4chan.

if kobe had scored 90 points in this game, it would have been wasted effort, they still would have lost to the (jazz?) go back and look (i know i hate it when people say this to me it is very lazy but i dont have the stat sheets in front of me i just have a computer with internet access and a lot of free time) but all of kobes highest scoring games were in meaningless regular season games, or losses, or both.

kobe is only as good as his teamates, and tonight the great were just average.

when kobe scored, and he went on a hell of a run in the second half, 3. maybe 4 (jazz?) players were fighting over who was going to answer with a three, carlos boozer was an animal, he couldnt be defended. the los angeles lakers were not prepared to see Mehmet Okur shooting 3's pau gasol (which it was HIS fucking responsibilty) did not gaurd Okur or AK as closely as he should have, no, Gasol plopped himself under the rim and thought hed be the white, Spanish, lanky second coming of shaq. not happenin bud. deron williams followed a yellow brick road to the rim 6 times...maybe more in the 4 quarter. and every time he did the decibel went up in NOkia repair stadium or whatever the fuck its called. and believe you me this isnt neyland stadium but for an arena its pretty fucking loud, even though the most important communication in basketball player-coach. player-player is non verbal.

to the lakers, Pau always fills up the box but you have to look at him play, he was doing a bad impersonation of a full time center. which he is NOT, i dont know the backstory he might have been tired. Derek Fisher was obviously psyched out by being back in Utah, hell definitely rebound and be back to regular season form next game, and everybody else sucked

im not going to just come out and say your wrong, you believe what you want to. thats just me being polite.

the point im trying to make is some old law that can actually be applied to backetball. FORGIVE ME i could be totally off but it is something to the affect of "work envariably fills the time allotted to it?" like if kobe scores 80 points in a loss, then by the numbers only like one other lakers is going to be in double figures, and YOU will blame his shitty supporting cast. if kb scores 80 in a win, and again lets say fisher scores 12 or something and thats it. youll just say everybody fell asleep and kobe ran away with it, he could win high school players blah blah blah...

FIRST OF ALL, i think even if you sprayed the lakers bus with a box full of ammo from a helicopter mounted machine gun, and then all the surviving lakers players were raped by wildabeest, i still think they win the series 4-2. that being said, sing all the praise for kobe you want, hes just a really really really good shooting gaurd. and knock his supporting cast all you want, they are NBA basketball players, (yes even Luke)

if kobe had scored 80 points in tonights loss the (jazz?) the lakers still would have lost

My favorites are VC's dunk on the 7'2" French guy in the 2000 Olympics and T-Mac's dunk on Shawn Bradley back in 2006.
