Did the Washington Nationals awaken the Beast? and if so what will be the future of the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies?

I'm sorry I couldn't hear the question over the sound of Ryan Howard striking out.

the phillies are the only team that is performing like they should be. the marlins and braves are way overperforming, whereas the mets are way underperforming (still not as good as the phillies though).

second straight NL east title

explain how the braves are over performing? surely being 6-15 on the road (or whatever it is) and 1-12 in 1 run games isn't over performing

Really? The Braves' pythag (30-17) says otherwise. At the moment, they're stronger on offense and pitching than the Phillies (in terms of rate stats) and they've got this ridiculous away record that is due to regress to the mean. I'll give you that the Braves are way overperforming at home, though.

I'm not sure the Phillies are where they should be, either. Their offense is underperforming in all stats except HRs, for one thing.
