Casillas all the way.

Casillas is in a league of his own right now, so it's unfair to even include him in the vote.

Lol at letting Wes Brown score.
>> Anonymous

Reina's good, but he gets all wobbly when he needs to step up. Remember his handling of crosses in the Arsenal games? Like that.
Many a big game this season I've heard fans say "Reina's having another stinker", but he rarely gets punished for it. Except against ManU, of course.
But don't worry, he's a young lad and he's bound to improve.

Sorry, I'm late...

GK :
1 - Iker Casillas.
Brilliant season with Real, always alert and agile, clearly one of the all-time greats.
2 - Edwin Van Der Sar.
Ok, he had the best defence in Europe in front of him. But he's had perhaps his best season since he left Ajax. Very good when called upon, ahd that's what counts.
3 - Gianluigi Buffon.
He'd have probably pipped VDS for second place on pure technique and skill, but not being there in the "money time" this season has made a whole lot of difference for his team. Still immense, though.

RB :
1 - Sergio Ramos.
Fighting spirit, goes forwards, defends almost perfectly... I won't say he's had a "perfect" season, but what more can he do? Even in the Champions League, he was one of the Real players to put in decent matches against Roma.
2 - Daniel Alves.
Still strong going forwards, even though defensively he's a bit timid.
3 - Wes Brown.
Half because I couldn't really think of anybody but him, Zambrotta or Sagna, and half because he has had a good season. He's proved his ability at right back, and even without being an out-and-out attacking player, he has managed to be involved going forwards almost non-stop this season. Ronaldo hogged the limelight, but he was often there to offer solutions when the Portugeezer was getting crowded.

CB :
1 - Nemanja Vidic.
The better half of the best defence in Europe. Pretty much sums it up.
2 - Phillipe Mexes.
Very good positional sense, reads the flow of play well, and can organise from the back.
3 - Ricardo Carvalho.
It was a tough choice against Ferdinand (I'd already considered both of them for second place), but when I thought of the CL final, Carvalho stood out more. Ferdinand commited stupid fouls, didn't manage to stay concentrated, and could have cost his team the win. Carvalho is less exuberant and flashy, but a lot more constant over the season.
