This is expected when you sweep a team. As soon as you lose a game everyone's all like ''WHAT NOW NOT GONNA SWEEP US HUH HUH YEAH YEAH''.

Protip:You're supposed to when you're home games, and you barely won yours.

Please calm down.

Okay dodgerfag, you can stop troll'n around with your protips because you are butthurt.

Barely won? No. Just because it is a one run difference, doesn't mean they barely won. After they took the lead all the Phillies pitchers looked great. Barely winning would be giving up a bunch of base hits after taking the lead, and somehow weaseling out of it.

Stop the butthurt.

If I were a Phillyfag I wouldn't be very confident after this game, I mean, a foot to the right on Manny's shot, a foot closer to the bag on Furcal's throw, a foot over whatshisface's head at third on Manny's line drive in the eighth, and the game is completely different. And this is at home with the best pitcher on the staff struggling to get guys out in the early innings

better to be confident after a win, then before the two teams even played.

Barely winning is something that happens in the bottom of the 9th and the winning run scores because of something stupid like an error or a wild pitch.

A win is a win, and the Phillies won this game. Dodgerfags so easily forget that they could barely hit the ball in the clutch in their final 3 innings at the plate.

Most pundits and most sane posters on /sp/ thought going into this series that it'd be a close (and probably 7 game) battle, decided by small things like that. The game turned out as I expected. Will LA win by a couple close breaks in game 2? It's as possible as the Phils winning that way tonight. What would surprise me would be a blowout by either team.
