It's only fitting that they got Rickrolled, given that's what the bullpen does to the starter every single game.

I swear I saw a guy with a Cardinals license plate.

I couldn't stop staring at the dude. I was completely blown away that the Cardinals could have any fans anywhere, especially in a different market.

No, he had an "Arizona Cardinals" license plate.

And this was last fucking week.

I still can't believe it.

Every other team here doesn't approach the Mets, New York has the greatest baseball team, yet Met fans choose to root for some crappy expansion team that rarely has any kind of success, plus their stadium is disgusting and is in the middle of nowhere.

We aren't masochistic. We watch because we love baseball, no matter how much we hate our team. Or at least the bullpen.
>> Anonymous
>>238252
agreed

masochistic implies the fan knows the team will fail.

being a mets fan means saying (quietly to yourself) "this is our year" at least 4 times in the season, only to see at least a week of utter fail.

this year is another year of the same, but different, bullshit. now we have the bats working, but the failpen can't have 3 good games in a row. blown saves take away from the offense, knowing that a 4 run lead means shit even against the pirates.

shit, maybe i am masochistic

Shit, maybe you're right

Cubs Fans is the only answer. 100 years of subjection to epic, mind-blowing failure, yet they keep clinging on.

The Mets don't have it that bad at all. At least they're competitive every year, as opposed to Pirates, Nats, Reds, Orioles, etc.
>> Metsfag No. 129874
>>238327
Cubs is the most obvious answer. They are fans of tried-and-true fuckups. But the Mets have given us plenty of reasons to attempt suicide, and our franchise is much younger.

We'll see how the two stand when the world is about to end. Hopefully Cubs fans will win out. Then that means the Mets will have done some truly legendary shit.

Cubs for sure. Mind you, I didn't really start following them until the 01-02 season when I finally got WGN. 03 crushed me. So glad the Dusty Baker era is over. '07 wasn't bad, but the bats being quiet and dominated by that gay ass D'backs team really disappointed me.

Raiders fan since I was a little kid. I have never ever seen the Raiders win a Super Bow even though they have 3. You can imagine how bad it was for me when the Tuck Rule happened and when we got our asses kicked by the Bucs coached by our former coach. Yet I still follow them even though I know they will never get it done with Al Davis at the helm. Old school Al Davis = win. Current Al Davis = much pain and loss. Here's hoping this season goes a little better and they get a win vs each division rival and a win when the Pats come to Oakland.

There only "competitive" because they are in one of the worst divisions, and despite that they rarely make the playoffs
