Not an ATLfag but how does /sp/ feel about Micheal Vick? I'm talking about before the whole dogfighting thing.(I don't care if thats what he likes to do, just thought it was dumb to get caught) When he was playing, I had to watch, just to see what spectacular things could happen. Fucking talent wasted...with better coaching in his first few seasons and some decent WRs, I think he could've been one of the greatest ever.

>he could've been one of the greatest ever.
No.
>> Alakazam !!OEP6m59Bksc
He was fast but that's it. There are a number of non-QBs that would make better QBs than he did.

I always built my Madden franchises around Vick. A quarterback THAT mobile doesn't just change the game, he destroys it.

Of course, his passer ratings in the vidja gaems were way over rated, but he was one of the more electrifying men in sports.
>> Anonymous
I think he just lacked the intangibles, like leadership that you need from the QB postion. And his accuracy was never good enough.
>> Anonymous
he had to run all the time because his receivers couldn't catch a cold.
>> Anonymous
Where's RANDALL CUNINGHAM when you need him.
>> Anonymous
I like quarterbacks, not running backs that occasionally make a pass.

The best mobile QB ever is Steve Young. No one can disagree.

you can take the nigger out of the south, but you can't take the nigger out of the nigger

LOL hi.

And Vick was shit. Running as a QB is an art only perfected by Randall, Sir Francis, Steve Young, and a couple other guys I can't think of at the moment. Vick couldn't throw for shit.

Roger did it right too. For shits and giggles, I'll even throw in Flutie.

OP here..maybe best ever was taking it a bit too far, but damn, he really had all the physical skills to be great

Yeah, mobility should be used to buy time to make A PASS.

Using mobility to get injured?

He is a piece of shit nigger. No, I am not racist I think there is a difference between a black person and a nigger.
(Steve Mcnair= Black, Pacman= nigger) BTW dog fighting is disgusting and grimy as hell and he should never be aloud in the NFL because of it. I really wouldint be surprised if he sold crack to. Also Mark Brunell was a pretty good scrambler for a couple of years.

>>72179
LMAO. He IS hurt every year, but he has had a lot of success without great receivers, except Owens. 4 straight NFC championships(?) is pretty good

Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel.

>>72195
Yeah...didn't they make it to 4 straight NFC championships losing the first 3, before finally getting to the super bowl vs the pats..

An over rated player. Looking back(even before the whole dog fighting thing), the Falcons would have been better off with drafting LT 4th, and drafting a QB like Brees in the 2nd Round instead of trading those picks for Vick. The general problem with running QBs is that they can't throw accurately for shit, and Vick wasn't an exception. You need your QB to throw the ball, let the Running Backs run inbetween the hash marks.

The only thing that kinda shocked me about the whole Vick deal was that he was dogfighting, In mean come on, that a poor person's crime. He's too rich for that. He couldn't have been making money so there's no point to it unless he just likes watching dogs die and "Street Cred" if so just play Pokemon nigga same thing.

The backlash was expected everyone knows white people loves dogs, they treat them better than people.
>> Anonymous
I don't like Vick at all...never been a fan of him, but the outrage over his "crimes" should have been a massive embarrassment to the American media. It was a serious issue...and no one should have cared. Fine him, sure. Those kinds of charges? Ridiculous.

Hey guys! I'm pretty mobile too!

I concur. Vick is amazingly over rated.

Quarterbacks need to throw. His passing was average. But he makes a few highlight-reel runs and everybody thinks he's so great.

He's an average quarterback. There are fifteen guys in the NFL I'd take over Vick.

The best mobile QB.
>> anonymous
>>72248
I think thats why his reputation is gone- he would have been treated kinder if he was dealing drugs on a schoolgound.
He was cruel for the sake of a cheap thrill.

in all seriousness... Fran Tarkenton is the original running qb

Greatest mobile QB who decided he wanted to stay in the pocket.
>> TOMMY FUCKING KELLY!!!
I think when people say "with better coaching" they are missing the point of greatness. The greats go out on their own and make themselves better. Did Jordan have great coaching? And it carries over to all aspects of life. You can't just sit around and wait for better directions.

>Did Jordan have great coaching?

Phil Jackson does have 10 rings...just saying

Yes, his accuracy sucked but he had horrible WRs.

If all Peyton Manning or Tom Brady had to throw to were wide outs like Roddy White they would look horrible.

>>74262

Tom Brady still did well the season prior to acquiring Randy Moss. All he had were TEs.

i am disappointed that fran tarkenton was only mentioned once in this thread.

you should feel bad about yourself, /sp/

Apparently Deion Branch and Terry Glenn are TEs
