The future?

Half of these players are like 3 years into the league, they reached their prime and you won't be seeing them evolve much further.

Also, Pic related.

they will evolve. they're the forerunners of their teams so they wont be ignored

Not if the other team presses B.

The really scary part is there are guys like Lebron, Yao, Wade, D West, Amare, etc that haven't even reached their peak yet.

>>100785
Yao has pretty much peaked, or is close enough to it. Wade will be injury-plagued his whole career unless he learns that contact != good. LeBron is stuck on a crappy team and any improvement will be negligible without help. Amare can improve, but who knows what's going to happen with the Suns and a new coach. D West scares the crap out of me, as a Spurs fan.

You could bring up similar issues w/ guys in OPic. I'm just saying there's a lot of studs in this league that are barely 23. Superstars don't usually peak until late 20s.

Remove Rudy Gay

nobody can tell if a player has reached his peak. look at kidd and nash, who would've thought they'd still be great? and they're old, nash was old when he average double-digits in assists, and kidd is still getting 3-doubles (before dallas). starbury looks done, but with d'antoni, who knows? maybe KWAME can get better, who knows?? okay not kwame

Fuck the US Olympic basketball team. I had tears in my eyes thinking of a world where CP3 and Dwight Howard play on the same team.

statfag here, kevin martin had a 38 point game this season vs dallas, 14/16 FG, played for 27 mins, and his first game back from injury. also had a 48 pt game against minnesota. avg 23pts/game. the guy's a threat.

nobody noticed al jefferson. 21pts 11rebs on 50% shooting this season. had three 20-20s. the "other" dwight

monta is my favorite in OPic. 20pts/g, on 53% shooting. a guard shoots 53% while scoring around 20pts, kinda like parker, but this guy DUNKS BIG.

That's because Monta Ellis has NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE!!!

Regard? For Human Life? No, He doesn't have any

What would anon consider the All-Rookie and All-Sophomore teams this year?

I really don't see Iggy getting any better. He will always be turnover prone, and he still needs to develop a jumpshot. I love the guy, but he's not the future. It was embarrassing watching him get schooled by Tayshaun Prince on every single play, offensively and defensively.

Kevin Martin is good. He was averaging 26-28 pts to start the season before he was injured. When he came back, Artest and Bibby were back in the line-up and chucking the ball 16-18 times per game, whereas Martin only got around 14 shots. He needs to be more of a passer though.

We haven't seen the best of Monta yet. He was the best player for the Warriors in many of their games, the most consistent scorer, and yet still had to defer to Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson. Lightening quick, great passer, works on or off the ball, and good midrange jumpshot. He's just a bit small to defend opposing 2's, but he's at his best when he's asked to score instead of pass.

>>100737
Not to take anything away from what he did, but he was playing in streetball competition at the end of the season.

Needs more Bynum.

Not really good enough to make it into the Stars of the Future club.

This discussion about young talent makes me wonder: who has had a better career so far, Dwayne Wade or LeBron James?
>> Anonymous
>>101043
... What? The month before he went down, he was averaging something like 18 and 14, at nineteen years old. He had the second highest rebounding rate in the league, behind Dwight Howard.

Just because he had a little less playing time doesn't mean that he wasn't a beast before he got hurt.
>> Anonymous
>>101043
You've got to be kidding. Have you seen him play? He has a lot to develop, but he outplays opposing bigmen (not named Yao) almost every game. He's an above average rebounder, getting 3 offensive boards in 28 minutes per game, and a legit shotblocker. At close range he's got a better hook shot than Pau Gasol. He's at least as good as that no-defense Al Jefferson.

OP here, nope, considered bynum and i must say, played few games to just immediately put in the club. If he will consistently do that then maybe he'll be worthy. Besides, the ones I collated are the forerunners of their teams.
