So...how will Montreal fair against a team with an actual offense?
>> Anonymous
excited to see that series.
>> Anonymous
>>72528

I think the better question is how will Montreal fare against a team without defense and without a stifling shutdown trap.. Keep in mind if you play the bruins trap style your offense won't be as effective. Philly hasn't been playing a defensive modeled game all year.. Watch for the series to open up with the habs carving up Philly's weak D while yea montreal gets scored on more..

MTL 5
>> Anonymous
>>72565

Yeah...you haven't watched a single game of the Flyers/Caps series, have you?
>> Anonymous
>>72565
Boston's hockey wouldn't have affected Montreal if they'd kept up their regular season game instead of switching into some bizarre new defensive system that only occasionally made them better defensively, usually made it worse, and featured, as the centerpiece of the offense, the daring "send three forwards in together and make a cross-ice pass that always gets intercepted by a defender" move.

The best thing Montreal could do, besides sticking to the game plan that worked all regular season and games 1 and 7, is find a way to get Mike Richards killed. But I'm not sure Mike Richards CAN be killed.

For once I agree with you, every matchup seems to be fuckwin and worth to watch.

1) FUCK YEAH AVS vs WINGS!!
2) There's no team I particularly hate among the
remaining 8, for once. Only two sunshine teams (who will face each other this round) and thank God Sens, Ducks, Flames, Devils and Bruins are out.
3) As a Habsfag, can't tell if I'd rather face the Pens or the Rags in the finals. Either way, this series will need 7 games, you can count on it.
4) WOOOOOOOOOOOOO WE HAVEN'T CHOKED YET THIS YEAR!!! RICHARDS AND BRIERE ARE GONNA GET IT!!!!
>> Anonymous
Can't FUCKING WAIT for Rangers vs. Penguins. I think Dallas takes it to San Jose and wins in 7 as well.

As AVS VS WINGS! FUCK YEAH! excited as I am, I have a feeling the refs wont let them play on the level they did in the past.

Proof: There were only F O U R fights in the entire opening round. What the fuck.
>> Anonymous
as a swede I am excited for DET vs COL and PIT vs NYR

Looking great this, hope Lundqvist can manage Pittsburgh
>> Anonymous
>>72748
I'd definitely rather face the pens, and I don't even think it's because they're the weaker team. I just think Habs-Pens in the third round would be mind-blowing.
>> Anonymous
>>72944
yes, mind-blowing, the two biggest pussy teams in nhl history skating rings around each other to avoid the slightest contact

it would look like a fucking all-star game excpet without as many good players

There is like... 3 players that have more checks then the Flyers' leading guy in that chapter.

As a habsfag, I have to say that Kovy can't even stand on his skates correctly anyways.

But people saying Habs are a pussy team is a faggot... Komi, Bouillon, Begin, Hamrlik and possibly O'Byrne. Fuck yeah.

Yeah, but he'll be playing at the start of this series I imagine. Knuble is hurt, and Steve Downie took a few penalties in his only game.
