The fact that we have the highest attendance % in the NFL and have a shitty team disproves this.

That's only because all the other Cleveland sport teams suck worse.

Random butthurt fag.

Also, fuck Cowher is he overrated. I would rather have that D Coordinator Spagnola from the Giants.

Fix'd for you, pussy.

In all seriousness, being a long time Browns fan, I do not want to see Cowher in Cleveland. I was at the game Sunday and left early before the rest of the crowd started chanting Cowher, but when I heard it on the radio I couldn't believe it.

Romeo needs to go. I've been saying so since last year. He is a fucking abomination. Back when the Browns were driving against the Steelers on the Sunday night game this year, everyone was in total chaos. They had no idea what was going on. That is another victory against the Steelers lost to poor coaching.

Romeo has to go, but Cowher is not the answer. He coached the Steelers, the Steelers of all teams, and out of the fourteen years he has coached, he only won one superbowl. Superbowls have been won without Cowher, and they will continue to be won without Cowher. I don't see why everyone is so dead set on him without fully exploring their options.

I sense a fellow Ohiofag here. I'm in Columbus and there are WAY too many Steelers fans.

I'm from Dayton, and even there it was roughly 50% Browns, 40% Bengals, 10% Steelers. Fucking disgraceful.

lol because the cleveland browns really have the right to be picky. they cant allow just anyone to take over such a storied franchise.

Well, Cowher also had a lot of talent to work with. What I'm saying is that the Browns need someone more proven when they go for a new coach. They already fucked this up twice, they can't afford to do it again. I just don't think Cowher is the right person for the job here in Cleveland. Although he by far isn't the worse, I wish people would explore more options than immediately focusing on him.

Cowher is the best guy for the job.

yes, which only helps demonstrate his skills at drafting, which he always had a say in
>someone more proven
uh, what? do you know of some other hof head coach that needs a job? if youre hoping for tony dungy or bill belichik to come loose, dont hold your breath. cowher is far and away the best coach actually availible, but the browns still arent getting him

I think the Browns would be able to get Cowher if they tried hard enough.

Brian Billick is the better candidate.

this anon gets it. Cowher wants GM and coach duties if he ever does return to the NFL, and name one team that has ever been successful with a structure like that. Plus I'm not ready to give up on Phil yet.

Spagnuolo is nice, I think Rex Ryan would be a good fit too since we have some aggressive players on the front 7 already.

The Steelers for the 14 years they had Cowher.

Lerner just had a press conference saying he isn't going to decide on Romeo until the end of the season.

are you the guy that said cowher is lame because "out of the fourteen years he has coached, he only won one superbowl"? out of the decade billick was with the ravens, he went to the playoffs 4 times, and didnt win a playoff game in 3 of those 4 appearances.
also, he has a laid back coaching style and lets the players do as they please. him + disfunctional team(like the browns)= #1 overrall draft pick.
>>490010
70s oakland raiders (john madden)
80s san fransisco 49ers (bill walsh)
00s new england patriots (bill belichick)
it does and can be successful if you find someone who knows what theyre doing

>>490018

No, Kevin Colbert is their GM. I know Cowher had a large say in who they drafted over the years, but he wants to actually hold both titles and be in full control of personnel while coaching.

This clusterfuck organization doesn't even have a team president, and Lerner seems to be taking more interest in Aston Villa than the Browns lately.

good decision. The players still back him and it would alienate a lot of them if we canned him now.

The way everyone is playing at the moment it wouldn't matter.

They need a coach, not a friend.
