He never would listen to tubby Terry Pendleton, the former Brave and NL batting champ who didn't exactly win with long balls... sometimes poking it the opposite direction gets the job done. TP tried and tried and tried to get Druw to listen to no avail, apparently the LA coaches aren't having much luck there either. There's still time for him to turn his career around, but right now it's spiraling fast. Ever since his "I'm a pull hitter, that's just how it is" type quote in the AJC a year or two ago his stubborness and refusal to keep himself in shape has led to his demise, at least in our city. Good luck, but good riddance.
