*sigh*

The Seahawks have problems keeping receivers healthy, and every time they sign somebody they invariably get hurt. Sure, there's going to be some comebacks this week, but just how long can Deion Branch stay healthy while having to run his ASS off because he's getting double-covered?

The 49ers have two problems: one, they play like they don't give a shit about football, and two, JT O'Sullivan can't seem to utilise the two decent receivers he has on hand at all times. He's erratic and can't seal the deal against even the shittiest of pass defenses. Plus, it sucks when your O-line could give two shits about the pass block.

The Cardinals can't defend against the pass. End of story. If the Dolphins had thought to try that trickeration against Arizona, he would have thrown for four and run in one. The Cardinals pass defense can make a bad QB look good and a good QB look great, and if you saw week 4 against the Jets, you know what happens when a great QB steps up.

I don't know where to start with St. Louis. Shitty coaching (before and after whacking Linehan), awful quarterbacks, an overrated has-been RB, amateurish receivers, and a defense that may as well be playing in the XFL. The coaching clusterfuck doesn't help either. You could have Parcells, Belicheat, Walsh and Lombardi coaching this team and they'd STILL suck. However, they're stuck with a shitty coach to start the season and now they've got Jim Haslett in there who no doubt will end up being a scapegoat for Rams ownership when they go 0-16.

Man, the NFC West sucks. I've lived all my life in its area of influence and I can't remember the last time an entire division sucked this badly.

So! How's YOUR division, /sp/ortsmen?

How fitting that after trading the "ironman" Brett Favre that like 2/3 of our starters are injured.

Well, maybe after going 4-12 we can draft Michael Oher in the Draft.

>awful quarterbacks

Marc Bulger is not an awful QB and anyone who watches that team knows thats the only problem they don't have.

He makes due for what he has: .4 seconds to throw the ball before he gets sacked.

Anyway my division?

Feels good man

Great post, Red.

I feel your pain. Anon is a niners fan. Sad that the Cardinals and Niners will be slugging it out to see which 7-9 team gets steamrolled by some wild card team on Wild Card Weekend.

BTW, JT isn't really THAT bad. He's bought into the Martz system well. The inherent flaw in the Martz offense is that it takes a long time to develop, compounded by a poor pass-blocking O-line you hit on. Why they don't just dump it off to Gore when the rush is imminent is beyond me...

I have a feeling that the Cards have a chance to get past the wild card game, especially if they go up against the NFC South winner. Can you say "trap game"?

If they hit the NFC East, they're completely fucked. I have a feeling that whoeve

Stupid laptop keyboard. Anyways, whoever comes out of the NFC East is going to the Super Bowl. That division is just ridiculous.

I would agree at this point. Granted there is a lot of football left before we even get to the playoffs. Injuries can really change things, and sometimes a random team will start showing up later in the season and throw everyone off. If there is one division than could pull off only losing to itself for a whole season it would be the NFC East... but the Eagles already fudged that last week against Chicago.

Giants are coming off of a bye and they have a really shitty record the week after a bye. Seattle hasn't played great overall so I think if the Giants can limit their running game they'll definitely win. If they can't then Seattle could pull an upset.

Dallas is playing Cinci, that would be a terrific joke if the Cowboys lost to the Bengals. But no.

Washington at Philly will be a good game, I give the Skins the edge, if they can keep some of the momentum going from last weeks win against the Cowboys. Their D looks really strong both from a coverage standpoint and also with the front 7.

Unless it's Wild Card vs. division winner, which makes it entirely possible to hit the NFC South.

The two top teams who win their divisions get a bye in Wild Card Weekend, and the other two division winners get a Wild Card team. Here's how it could shape up, for example:

NFC East: Dallas Cowboys, 13-3
NFC South: New Orleans Saints, 8-8
NFC North: Green Bay Packers, 11-5
NFC West: Seattle Seahawks, 10-6
Wild Card: New York Giants, 12-4
Wild Card: Arizona Cardinals, 10-6

In this case, the Cowboys and Packers would bet a bye in the "first week" of the playoffs, and of the remaining teams, the division winner with the better record would face the Wild Card team with the lesser record (in this case, Seahawks vs. Cardinals [lol whoops!]), and the other two teams would face off by default (Saints vs. giants). The division winner is given home field advantage by virtue of winning their division.

I'm not sure how it works if a division winner faces off vs. a Wild Card team from their same division, but like I said: if the Cardinals can get the NFC South winner in the Wild Card round, they can get past that round and go into the proper Playoffs.

The Packers will end up 11-5. They will win their pathetic division by 8 games.
>> Commissioner Red !5gFoSxriW2
>>374417

The possibility of this happening is a lot higher than most people think. Unless Rodgers stays out for an extended period of time, the Packers will win the division, and by at least three games over the Bears. God, why does the NFC suck so hard?

I have a hard time believing the NFC West is worse than my NFC South.

Waitwaitwait. You think the Cardinals are taking a wildcard spot over an NFC East team? You best be trollin'. Just because they have 'card' in their name doesn't mean they are going to take that from the NFC East.

NFC South fan here and man coming into this year I really thought we were gonna be the worst division.

I would like to thank the NFC West for taking that honor instead.

Always competitive with each other, while only two are competitive with the rest of the league.
