They still went undefeated in the regular season.

They should of got a ring for that accomplishment, me thinks.

It wasn't so much they failed to achieve the Perfect Season, it's the satisfaction non-Pat fans get in how a young, inexperienced team everyone thought would get stomped brought down the Achilles-like hubris of a modern dynasty and their pretty boy, PR-friendly QB.

Not when you're in a division that gives you six free wins every year.

When you are the Patriots, every team you face is shit and pretty much free wins.

Pats don't have an easy division, they're just a great team. By all rights, they should dominate and go to the Super Bowl and win.

So when the underdog upset them and spoiled their ZOMG WE R PERFECT, well, you have to relish it whenever the underdog wins. The fact that it was 18-1 just made it somewhat sweeter for those of us enjoying the schadenfreude.

except for that last one, amirite?

When you think about it, maybe the NFL wanted the Giants to win. I am not saying there was a conspiracy against the Pats (I am), but I mean a pathetic team like the Giants beating the Supreme Team Patriots is a little ridiculous.

Idk, I think it was one of the more boring Super Bowls in recent memory.

Are you fucking kidding me? The score wasn't lopsided, the Giants lived the Cinderella story and you had fans who were either over the moon or breaking down in tears. I don't see how you could call the game boring or shit. It was a shocking end to a true sports drama. I can understand how the 18-1 bashing of Pats goes a bit over the top, but those bullshit excuses only fuel the "butthurt Patsfag" stereotype.

i think the patriots got bitten in the ass by karma
1. running up the score all year on every team
2. "LOL ONLY 17 POINTS"
3. "I'm the greatest wide receiver ever"
4. Pats buying the rights to undefeated team, the book on amazon before the super bowl.

karma's a bitch

Running up the score was pretty shitty. And Belichick casually brushing off the offseason fines for cheating as the reason he ran up the score was bullshit... he did it just to show up the league.

Stop bawwwing. You got beat. Deal with it.

All but about the last five minutes was a bit of a snore.

Also, there should have been a pass interference call on the three guys grabbing moss and holding him back for the 3rd down pass I believe it was. Either way, the loss is Belechick's fault for going for 4th and 13 or whatever it was instead of kicking a field goal towards the end of the 2nd quarter. It would have been a 40 or so yard kick, but Gostkowski was a machine during the playoffs he'd have made it.

God here;

18-1 > Everything else in sports history. All who disagree are Patsfags who still can't deal with their team being the biggest failure in the history of time and space.

Sincerely,
God.
