hai guyz, whats goin on here?
>> Anonymous
>>123142

then who shall win the NL cy young?
>> Anonymous
Is that Zito? He ain't winnin' shit this year. Including gaems.
>> Anonymous
AL will by won by Roy Halladay's beard alone.
>> Anonymous
Tim Lincecum could lead the league in every category for all I care, but the fact that he plays for the Giants is going to stop him from winning it. Viva La Brandon Webb!
>> Anonymous
Daisuke Matsuzaka
>> Anonymous
>>123162

The Jap has too many walks and not enough strikeouts, which will come back to haunt him eventually. The front runner right now has to be Cliff Lee. The winner will eventually be Roy Halladay.
>> Anonymous
NL-Brandon Webb
AL-Daisuke (although he doesn't deserve it)
>> Anonymous
NL: I think Brandon Webb won't win because he's going to have mediocre numbers in everything BUT wins. He has a good offense, but still a decent era and strikeouts. If Lincecum had the Arizona offense, you could pencil him in for 20+ wins. Lincecum will lead the league in strikeouts and era, and still get 16-18 wins. If he does so, it'll be his award. Keep in mind, Webb has lost 2 straight and Lincecum has only lost once.

AL: Daisuke sucks. He got off to a good start. The award is going to go to Cliff Lee because he'll have a sub-2 era
>> Anonymous
>>123178
Cliff Lee has gotten hit his last two times out. I expect his ERA to end up over 3.
>> Anonymous
>>123178
>Cliff Lee because he'll have a sub-2 era.

Ummm no he won't. But he'll have a pretty good ERA.

Bitches don't know 'bout Joba Chamberlain.
>> Anonymous
Joba will get a cy young someday. It's too late for him this year.
>> Anonymous
>>123187
Let's see you have 2 pitches.....you won't be able to throw 100 mph for 6+ innings not to mention you're a over hyped Yankee pitcher.....you won't get a Cy Young.
>> Anonymous
ROY HALLADAY will win the AL cy young. his era is dropping with each start, and even though he got off to a rough start with those losses, he's starting to turn it around. I expect him to finish the season 18-8 with an era between 2.5-3.0 which will be enough to give him the award (plus he's first in the AL in strikeouts)
>> Anonymous
>>123191

agreed. Joba the Hut is Joba the Hype.
>> Anonymous
how the fuck do you people not know who tim lincecum is?

anyway dice-k is getting an mri on his shoulder and sucks.

Halladay is my al pick
Webb will probably win it in the nl but Zambrano is having a good year too.

sorry tim your team sucks to hard for you to even be considered. maybe next year!

>>123199

Lincecum has an insane death-stare to home plate

"to even be considered?"

He'll have better numbers than both Zambrano and Webb, so that will get him considered. Hell, that will win it for him.

Remember those times that Roy Halladay won the cy young even though the Blue Jays were terrible?

Tim Lincecum will win 33% of his team's overall wins this year, and that will get him the award. Voters DO look at "run support" as a stat. 7 wins for him already with THAT team is really good.

>>123203

THIS HAS VALVERDE BEHIND LINCECUM. I DONT THINK ITS VERY CREDIBLE
>> Anonymous
>>123183
The Indians don't appear to be a playoff-worthy team. Assuming that Lee loses steam a little bit, he won't win if the Indians aren't in the playoffs.
>> Anonymous
>>123206

it also have Volquez above Lincecum. I don't think Volquez will keep up the success he's having throughout the entire season. Eventually the league's going to catch up to him and that era will rise.
>> Anonymous
>>123210

But I think if his numbers are worthy of consideration AND the Indians make the playoffs, they'll give him the award. They'll realize he's carrying that team while Carmona is hurt and Sabathia is struggling.
>> Anonymous
>>123206

LOL Valverde, Gregg, Rauch.

This is bullshit
>> Anonymous
>>123214
I agree with you, I'm just saying those look like two pretty big ifs.
>> Anonymous
ITT: We forgot about Webb.
>> Anonymous
>>123220

and remember Lincecum ;]
>> Anonymous
>>123204
hi you must be new to major league baseball. we don't give awards to the most deserving players, we give the awards to the highest profile players. linecum doesn't have a high enough profile yet.
>> Anonymous
>>123222
Lincecum will likely be on the DL. They way he throws will someday likely fuck up his shoulder.
>> Anonymous
>>123225

I think he does. Everyone in baseball knows he's a phenom.

COLE!
>> Anonymous
>>123226

I think you're wrong. If you follow the Giants, you know that he's completely different than any other pitcher out there in the way he trains and prepares his arm. The dude doesnt even ice himself after starts!

Tim Wakefield

>>123230

would have been my pick coming into the season. unfortunately he sucks this year.
>> Anonymous
AL Cy Young is either going to Wang or Rivera.
>> Anonymous
>>123227
i think you'd be right most years but this year has seen a freakish amount of great pitching to start the year.

also with the media darlings cubs winning there's no way zambrano doesn't win it if he continues pitching the way he has been.
>> Anonymous
>>123231
Oh. I'm sorry that must make him immoral. Am I right?
>> Anonymous
>>123243
i don't care about his morals. i care that he can pitch
