It isn't too hard. They need to fire Lewis. He puts up with all the wrong shit. He has a team full of convicts and people who gave up before the season started, and instead of benching them, he benches CJ, who is playing hurt and actually still giving a damn, becuase he overslept through a meeting for the first time. Rudi did it 4 times and never lost more then a quarter of playing time for each. He wants to put all the blame on other people, when the only guy he stands up to, is the one he shouldn't be.
They need to realize they arent about to compete for 2-3 more years. Trade Housh and CJ, and Palmer if anyone will take him. Instead of wasting those picks, trade down for more picks. They need all the help they can get. If you need to use some of the high picks, get a good center or left tackle. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Look at the 02-06 Pats, the current Titans, the Bucs and Ravens of years back. All of these teams had probowl lines on both sides and good secondaries. You don't need stars, you need to go out there, stick in games, and win it with turnovers.
Or I guess you could do it the Lions and Raiders way of loading up on skill players and wonder why the QB gets sacked in a 1 step drop, and why the other teams full back has 110 yards and it's the 3rd quarter. That works too.
