Jet Favre

The graphics have taken quite a leap in lighting and texture work. Weather looks really good, rainy games on grass field will lead to extremely muddy, dirty players. Snow storms on the blizzard setting hardly seem blizzardy. I shouldn't be able to still see the nubers and logos on the field, yet still do.
Player models, while improved, could still be a lot better. I cannot quite put my finger on it, but they have this stumped dwarf look to them, where they should seem more lengthy and tall. The feet are definitely disproportionate and seem a lot larger then they should be, scale wise. The football itself also seems to big compared to the players. Hopefully next year they scale it down, because Ncaa 2008 had this problem and it was addressed in 09.
The grass looks somewhat cheap, while I admire the attempt, distinguishing turf from grass is not easy, some fields look wrong, for example the cowboys stadium and the vikings turf look like grass when they shouldn't. Even the grass looks weird, as if they tried to over texture it.
On to the animations, while improved could take some lessons STILL from looking at 2k5's animation and physics system, as well as ball physics on tipped balls and deflections. Work really needs to be done on quarterback animations especially. Drop backs look silly, arm motions and releases look awkward, and throwing on the run isn't very accurate. Even sitting in the pocket and foot shuffling is off. Tackle animations also could be redone. For example you still see some hits where the carrier will just fall over as if being shot.
