Hi guys!

im an English chap and I was wondering what you guys feel about teams moving cities?

I started thinking about this a couple of days ago after seeing something about seatle sonics (i think) moving to texas or some shit??

I can not even imagine this happening in England.

you support your home town team your whole life, go to every home game and then they just up and move 1000 miles away!?!

The Sonics sucked, nothing of value was lost.

sometimes in these situations, there is little to no fan support. That's not the main reason why these teams move, but it's a good one. In cities were there is a good fan base and they move the team (stadium contract expires, new ownership, etc), the fans rage for years and years (CLEVELAND BROWNS, HOUSTON OILERS, BALTIMORE COLTS, ETC) until they get their franchise back. In the Seattle Supersonic's situation, it doesn't appear that there will be a basketball team put back into that region. This was also a decision made by the commissioner.

Hey from what I've heard Eurofags have plenty of bandwagoners as well.
Douchbaggery is universal, apparently.

There are some teams that are hard-encoded into their cities that they will never leave (Packers, Steelers, Yankees, Cowboys, Cubs, etc). Unfortunatly, all other teams are up-for-grabs and it is especially unfair when the city ask for the average tax-payer to buy their new stadium.

Wimbledon would have gone bust anyway, they didn't even have their own stadium and not a lot of fans.

That said, everybody still hates MK Dons.

theres a difference between jumping on a bandwagon and being a fan of a team your whole life then not giving a fuck when they move halfway across the country,

it just seems so fucked up to me,

surly at least 1/4 the people going to watch the games are hardcore fans, they just move on?

I am beginning to se what they were on about in BASEketball or whatever it was called

Seattle Supersonics were the most futile sports team ever, they had no hardcore fans.
