I think that the Yankees will defiantly sign him to a one or two year deal.

What he's done this year proves he can still pitch well, and the Yankees are in desperate need of good pitchers.
>> Anonymous
I hope he stays. I can't imagine him going to another team and as a borderline Hall Of Famer he may want to pitch a little longer, especially considering the year he had so far.

Imagine Wang, Mussina, Chamberlain (if he stays in the rotation) and a healthy Pavano.

/sp/ seems to be very anti-Yankee (I H8 POPLAR STUF) but you have to admit that is a good 1-2-3-4.

After the way he pitched tonight? He'd better be. 18 win pitchers don't roll by all that often.

Pavano gone after this year.

Next year will be a rebuilding year for the Yankees. Moose will probably be one of the only people to be resigned.

Giambi, Abreu (who I want to stay), Pudge, Pavano, and Pettitte will be gone.

They'll focus on their prospects meaning they'll probably bring up one of their big prospects, Miranda, to play 1B (.294 AVG in AAA with a .993 fielding%), wait for a healthy Posada to come back, and go after some big names for their pitching staff.

I'd like to see Giambi stay. He can still hit for a lot of power and still gets his walks. But he's expensive too...

As for Abreu, why would they let him go?

The others, fuck em.

I see their 2009 rotation more like:

Wang
Burnett/Sabathia
Mussina
Joba
Hughes/Aceves
>> Anonymous
What are they doing with Nady? He's been a real A+ acquisition.

that would be swell

Yeah if Moose wants to come back he'll get his 15 million for one year. I see this rotation:

Wang
Joba
CC/Burnett
Moose
Hughes/5th starter
>> Anonymous
I'd see him as a Met, although they should sign K-Rod as closer.

The Mets have solid starters, and Mussina doesn't strike me of the kind of guy that likes a change of environment, even just across town.

People...Hughes??? With the way Phil Coke and Alfredo Aceves have been pitching? No, sorry. I see no spot for Hughes.

Coke is better suited as a reliever. Aceves is just a Mexican version of Rasner so pass. Sign CC, Burnett and Moose and this problem resolves itself.

who cares? ain't gonna win whether that fuck is there or not. I predict Yankees overpaying to break their own record of over-paying, and getting beat by the Devil Rays and Sox And Blue Jays. Funny thing , NY, will piss off Cleveland, and they will both FAIL equally. NY is the new Ohio.

god yer sniffers are fail. padresfag here calling out the overpay fail of the yankees, and the even worse overpay fail of the the entire state of ohio, at least manhattan has money. ohio has none and they try too hard and fail.

you both just make me laff.

Problem is that its good for two weeks.
Wang is normally fairly healthy, only going on the DL once a year unless something like this year happens.
Moose will never do this again. No way he ever has these walk totals. They are bordering on impossible at his current rate.
Joba wasn't taken early in the draft becuase of his injury risks, and he seems to be showing they were right. Even if he makes his way to the rotation, he will break down quickly.
Pavano is all types of gone, but on the 1% chance they sign him, hes been injuried for 3 years. Why think he will change?
Phil Hughes could be the next great there, but he isn't healthy either.

And unfortunetly for the Yanks, I have a feeling they end with Sheets, who fits there mold of "Ace, 70% of the time". CC is going to the Dodgers unless the stupidly overpay Manny. Its the NL so he can hit, he clearly is better then the NL hitters, and the Dodgers have alot of extra money and like to spend it on one person a year to bring in fans.
I'd imagine Burnett is going to end up on Boston. Word is that hes already talked to some of the sox players about it, and might have even talked to the sox highups behind closed curtains.
