After blocking 1,126 shots in six seasons with the Nuggets, center Marcus Camby took a few Wednesday.

Still trying to come to grips with his trade from Denver to the Los Angeles Clippers, Camby talked candidly about his disappointment in the hours after his abrupt departure.

"Blindsided, distraught, disrespected. All those adjectives. I definitely feel insulted," he said in a telephone interview with the Rocky Mountain News.

"When I first heard about the trade, I felt like I was the scapegoat after all our past first-round exits and failures and lack of defense. I felt it was them telling me that I was no longer wanted and I was the cause of everything that went wrong the last couple years on this team.

"I'm still in disbelief. I'm still in shock. I still can't believe this happened."

As part of a cost-cutting move, the Nuggets sent Camby and his $10 million salary-cap figure to the Clippers in exchange for the right to swap second-round picks in the 2010 draft.

So Marcus believes that we should have sent Carmelo or AI for a second round pick? with this trade we get BAJILLIONS in trade exception. Expect some big moves by Denver Front Office to put as back in contendership.

Denverfag here:

He's not disappointed about his new team. He had a deep impression left here in Denver. He had charity groups and special connections here and unlike most other athletes, he paid close attention to them. He bought a nice house here in town and even shopped at my grocery store. It was a thrill to walk down the cereal Aisle and see him buying my brand. He wasen't a snooty guy either. Once after he had 8 blocks in a game, I saw him the next day. I told him "Great game last night", and he's like, "I tried to get 10".

And this whole deal sounds stupid. The Nuggets were so desperate to get out of the Luxury tax that they traded away their inside nucleus..... for cash and a SECOND ROUND PICK? This is the worst desperation tactic ever. We're still bitter about Najara.

GOOD PR MOVE!
