Rays lost game 1 of ALCS too. Big deal. I am from Pennsylvania but I live closer to Baltimore then to Philly or Pittsburgh so i am naturally an Orioles fan. Am I a traitor to root for the Rays over the Phillies, even though I never was a Phillies "phan"? For the previous 10 seasons, the Rays were the cushion sparing the O's from last place in the AL East. Now the Rays are a team that are doing something Baltimore won't be doing anytime soon for the foreseeable future and I can't hate on them for that. Up until this season I never had much of a reason to root against Tampa Bay unless the O's were playing them, I reserved my hate for the Yankees and the Red Sox. For me, it's more about an underdog story(even though the odds are on the Rays to win the series), if this season is the start of a dynasty, I will likely lose interest in the Rays, but for now I am rooting for them to go all the way. Regardless what happens, I doubt a Rays bandwagon could ever get as annoying and ridiculous as the Red Sox bandwagon has become. I can't even stand to go to Camden Yards when the Sox are in town because of all their asshole "fans". It's amazing that a fan base could make me hate a team MORE then the Yankees.
