Let me start off by saying I am an American, and here Football(real football) just isn't as big here, and I'm not to sure, and I don't want to get into that right now. It all started when the Euro 2008's started, and I had nothing to watch, so I watched my first full game on ESPN 2, and since then I've feel in love with the sport.

Just the way the play the game, and the crowd, its amazing to watch. It really is a joy. Since watching my first match, I've tried to watch every game, if not catching the late night reply. I've tried watching MLS, but it's just not the same as the Euro's, even me a newb to the game, can tell the difference in the skill sets.

aren't they British anyway? My soccer-watching experience is limited to Canadian broadcasts of Euro and CBC's occasional Toronto FC match but it's always guys with near-indecipherable accents.

Wait for the semifinals, you'll shit bricks over how awesome the matches will be, especially if the Netherlands meet Portugal in the final.

The Netherlands have been the only remotely interesting team to watch so far. Unless you fall for Ronaldo's eye-rollingly lame theatrics, in which case maybe Portugal works too.
