well, i'm not going to get a good response here, /sp/ hates UFC even though it puts into a SPORT what every /sp/tard loves to see happen in any other sport they don't call "not a sport"

i really don't understand this

in this type of event skill > over muscle or beast mode any day... I mean seriously does Brock have a ground game? Is it as good as Couture's? We all know Couture can stand and throw leather as witness by one of the 3 couture v. liddell fights.

The question is: Is Randy Couture finally over the hill? He's like 44 years old. How hard has he been training since the Scorpion King 2?

Brock does have a puncher's chance but Couture should dominate.

ground game more than anything else

isn't he training with bas rutten?
>> Anonymous
Lesnar = younger version of Kimbo Slice

therefore, Couture wins in round 2.
>> Anonymous
Brock may have been working on his ground game but I guarantee you it is nowhere near the skill of Couture's. I just think Brock is a lil bit overrated but not Kimbo overrated.
>> Anonymous
lesnar is a legit mma in the making kimbo is just a circus sideshow who got picked up because of the internet popularity

People Training with Bas Rutten:

Brock Lesnar and Kimbo Slice.

COINCIDENCE?
>> Anonymous
Brock's ground game is terrible. The only thing he knows how to do is the helicopter mount. He doesn't know what to do with the back. He spent his last fight waiting on a 3 count. He can knock Couture through the cage, however.
Personally, Brock is not even close to the #1 contender. The way that Randy got his belt back is bogus. In fact, everything about this fight is bullshit! Randy walked away. Brock has yet to beat anyone good, and has already lost to a vastly superior fighter.
If I were Nogueira and Mir, I would immediately walk away from the UFC.

MMA is gayer than musicals.

i didn't know he got his belt back

is this a championship match then? i doubt it would be.

couture would not come back to a fight against someone that couldn't fight, he cares to much about the respect he gets in the mma

Brock doesn't train with Bas Rutten, at least not full time. The place he normally trains at is the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, which is the same training facility that former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk trains at.

despite the guy being in wwe, he did come in as ncaa wresting champ. then he roided up, left wrastlin, tried out for the vikings (didn't look so bad) and now has gone to mma.

he's no faggot, this will be a good fight

He came back 'cause he got a promise from Dana that he will get to fight Fedor in '09.

You have to assume that Dana White is telling the truth. That's quite a leap of faith.
If I were Fedor, I would remind Dana of what he said in '07 about Fedor not being a top 5 heavyweight, and then ask for $3mil a fight instead of two.
>> Anonymous
>>332075
UFC is shitting money now, they will gladly pay fedor for that ppv.

i'm so glad i watch the fights free, i love p2p
>> Anonymous
>>332084
Dana refused to pay Fedor $2mil per fight for 2 fights last year. That's why he isn't there now. This isn't MLB, NBA, or NFL. Money generated from pay-per-view isn't that great. The only thing the UFC has on its competitors is brand recognition. One million a fight is alot of money.

Personally, I have a bar that I go to when UFC ppvs are on. It's a good way to watch 'cause I'm sitting with a bunch of pro and ammy fighters. It helped me learn the sport 4-5 years ago.

he said it best. couture walks away and they hold a bunch of fights for the heavyweight belt. in the mean time lesnar shows up loses to a former champion Mir (who only lost his title because of a motorcycle accident). couture shows up he gets the title back and gets to fight lesnar for the title? i used to like to see the UFC but after this fight was scedule they lost a lot of respect from me

this fight is almost as retarded as penn vs gsp 2

n.

it is big queers punchin' & fuckin' each other. it is actually moar gay than wwe.

I might be discounting the cap'n and his KO power, but I can't see this fight ending early. This will be a grueling test of both men's conditioning; Randy with the 5-round Fight Experience, Lesnar with the vim and vigor of youth.

Someone gets caught in the 4th.
