As an Astros fan...No, not even getting my hopes up.
Another Astros fan here.Seconding>>328533.
I don't know, while the injuries may catch up with them, you can't discount the fact that they have been the best team in the NL Central since the All-Star Break.
REDS WILL WIN THE WORLD SERIES GAIS
I'd like to see the Cubs lose the rest of their games and two of the three competitive NL Central teams make the playoffs.I know it's next to impossible for that situation to play out, but we can all dream.
I'd like to see the Cubs miss the playoffs.
>>328593This. Though, it would be awesome to see my 'Stros go to the playoffs in any case.
If only...Tony from PTI said there is a 0% chance.*sadface*
It'll come down to the last game. It almost always does.
Well, Cards lost. Astros move up a spot. Still what, 3 1/2 games out of a Wild Card now? I think they have a legitimate shot. They have been on fucking fire.
We also have a way easier schedule compared to the 3-4 teams around us.
Thanks to St. Louis and Philly losing + Houston winning, they are now tied for second in the Wild Card.
>>328533>>328545Thirded.It should be noted, though, that the Brewers are the Texas Rangers of the NL, and always choke. But still, we're Astros fans. We know better.
No, the Astros are done.
Speaking as a lifelong Cardinal fan, you Astros are never going to catch Milwaukee. And get a major league ballpark to play in. That playpen you guys roll in isn't fit for T-Ball.
>>329519I'm not disagreeing with you.
Friday and Saturday's games were postponed.due to Hurricane Ike.
So 3 GB now, Oswalt pitched another CG shutout. Anyone else starting to believe?
