Again, though, you're penalizing the players on the field, none of whom had anything to do with the schedule they are playing. In fact, non-BCS teams are entirely at the whim of BCS teams to allow them to schedule them. Indiana tried to get out of playing them this year but the governor stepped in.
If the MAC was a dominant conference this year, is Ball State all of a sudden better? Because the players on Ball State's team control how good the players in the rest of the conference are?
