Oh shit, if Harden goes to Boston...damnit...

Just when I was enjoying the Rays being in 1st place.

No word yet about Harden but I heard the Red Sox are more interested in Harden than Sabathia.

We'll see.

They're both young, both great pitchers...

One is going to turn out like David Wells (great, then start to suck because they're too fat)

The other will either stay great or break his shoulder.

Red Sox scouts were watching Harden just the other week. If he did go to Boston, they'd most likely trade Masterson and/or Bowden along with some kids like Kalish, Reddick, Moss or even Lowrie.

Either Masterson or Buchholz.

Buchholz is untouchable still, it would have to be Masterson. He's been great all year but in his last 2 starts he's lost some stuff on his pitches and it sounds like the Red Sox are sending him back to AAA and calling up Buchholz for Saturday.

links for info on this, i havent heard about it at all

As a Soxfag, I personally Like Buchholz a lot more(then Masterson), he has plenty more potential... His pitch just seems to need more discipline to it.

Masterson is good aswell though... I would much rather have Harden than Masterson though

>You can never have enough and all indications are that the Red Sox are looking at several ways to improve their depth before July 31. A reliever is on the front-burner, especially with Hideki Okajima performing way below what he did a year ago. And even though the Red Sox are so loaded in the rotation -- so much so that Clay Buchholz is stuck at Pawtucket -- don't rule out Boston being heavily involved in potential sweepstakes regarding C.C. Sabathia, Roy Oswalt, and Rich Harden. - MLB.com

It's just rumors but again the Sox have been scouting Harden for sometime now and remember last year about this time, Beane called Theo and asked him about Harden.
