"Dodger fans are really good fans," said Wuhl, who starred in the sports-themed "Arliss" cable series and played a coach in the movie "Bull Durham." "They're passionate fans."

He was heading for the parking lot -- in the eighth inning -- when he paused near the site where Pike's two antagonists were booted. "Out of 56,000 people?" Wuhl said, referring to the attendance. "I'd like to have a crime rate like that."

>He was heading for the parking lot -- in the eighth inning ...

Does not compute...

your very right. as a philly guy i really don't understand how these people just left after the stairs homerun, and have left early in almost every game. Philly is no gold standard, and i understand all the criticism levied at our fanbase...but my God man 1-15 season with the eagles and those seats are still packed after the 2 minute warning.

They don't know what it's like to truly love your team... regardless of your record.... none of them do =(.

Phillies fans are the best fans... sure we threw batteries at JD Drew, we boo'd Sarah Palin, threw snowballs at the WORST SANTA EVER, and cheered when Michael Irving snapped his neck... but we show up... every god damn game day. We put a smile on our faces, we talk shit about the team(s), we show our support, and then we go home. It's like taking a (shitty) kid to a little league game... sure they suck, sure it's boring... but you show support anyway, because you love them...

that'll cheer you up a bit fellow Phillyfag... apparently, there's someone somewhere out there that realizes our loyalty and rewards it (somewhat).

5 isn't too bad for fans of teams that haven't won shit in 25 years across 4 professional sports...
