Sup /sp/? This struck me as the kind of place to inquire about unicycling. I recently bought one, should be arriving in the mail any day now. For anyone that can ride one, about how long did it take for you to not have to use a railing or whatever as a support? How much time a day did you spend practicing?

this is not the kind of place to inquire about unicycling

As a general rule, practice with a support for about 20 minutes. After that find a large flight of stairs, preferably in public, and go down one step at a time, backpedaling to keep your balance. Try to get down the staircase using the formula 1 stair = 1.5 seconds.

I mastered my ride in a day or so.

well ol chap, it took me quite a few days to get going, but once i got going I just rode and rode until my ass hurt too bad. It was quite a jolly good time.

I heard going doing stairs is the best way to learn.

after 3 or so hours of that try and balance along bridges that go across water. The terror will make you learn fast.

Alright, after a second read-through LOL DO STAIRS guy is probably just trolling :(
