The NBA used to have more balls. Jordan and Barkley would've been ejected by the second quarter if they were playing today.

"It was old-time trash-talking," Barkley said. "These kids today think trash-talking means getting real personal and challenging your manhood. They're missing the point. It's just about trying to get to the other guy a little bit, having fun."

Trash talking is a challenge to your manhood.

I wouldn't say they lost their balls, I'd just say that the NBA is trying to avoid another Malice at the Palace or a Denver Nuggets-New York Knicks Brawl. Besides, now more and more players are comming straight from High School or early College, wich means we have more young guys who are short tempered and have no respect for their opponents. Also, the higherups are trying to make the NBA "less blacker" with the new dress code, so I guess stricter rules for trash talking would be another way to support the cause.

If you ask me, I kind of support the NBA for havind stricter rules. I mean, now a days, sports like Hockey are going through violent attacks regulary (Here's looking at you, Simon, Pronger and Roy), so maybe they need to pick up the stricter rules too.

tl;dr, etc., etc.
