>The Newark Star Ledger reports that the Yankees and Padres "have had preliminary discussions" about a Jake Peavy trade.

What are you going to do now? The Yankees will have a rotation of CC, Peavy, Wang, Burnett, Chamberlain.

watch you lose to the Florida Marlins in the World Series.

>Chamberlain

At least they'll still lose 1/5 of their games.

So my Padres won't have to worry about blowing a game where Peavy throws 8 shutout innings? AWESOME!

If Peavy was on any other team he would have a near perfect record but the Padres terrible line-up means he gives up one hit and gets the loss.

This would be the greatest rotation ever, there is no way we couldn't win the World Series next year. FUCK YEA.

18-1. still butthurt about Joba's 7 inning 9K 1 hit job up in F-way lol.
>> Kilgamayan !2BklmILFiE
Burnett and Chamberlain will be hurt by the time the season is over and Sabathia and Peavy have never done anything in the postseason.

Enjoy being forced to start Ian Kennedy in Game 2 of the ALDS.

WAAAAY off, bro. I couldn't care less about the AL East. I just know an over-rated middle reliever when I see one.

Keep trying though.

you mean papelbon I'm sure Joba was actually GOOD at starting. enjoy your loss to the rays, bright side: they didnt get to dance on your field.

They should be grooming Chamberlain as a setup man to eventually be Mariano's successor. People like Joba and Papelbon throw much too hard to be allowed to go 7 innings all the time. Papelbon's a closer now, but if they keep Joba as a starter, his body's going to break down much earlier than it should.

Joba has so many pitches it's a waste

Fastball, Slider?

change-up and curve

>>411853
You really must be joking, he really only does have a Fastball and Slider, those are his 2 only good pitches. Sure he can throw a curve and change but it doesn't mean he should.

Peavy to the Braves. Write it down, take a picture.

SWEET YANKEES BRINGIN IN ALL THE GOOD PITCHERS JUST LIKE LAST YEAR WHEN WE LANDED SANTANA
>> Anonymous
>>411861
you really are a fag because he has an above average change-up and a plus 12-6 curve

lurk more
>> Anonymous
>>411838
Papelbon had about four pitches too, but his fastball was so overpowering that they just focused on that...Joba should do the same thing, he'd be lights-out

>>411836

WOW You know so much about baseball, to think the Yankees pay millions for coaches and managers who actually played the game when they could get better information online for free
>> Anonymous
>>411867
I'm a Yankee fan, so I know what I'm talking about. He's curve and change are average at best. I think you've been watching YES to much.

>>411867
>lurk more

So he he lurks 4chan more? He can find the curveball? Interesting.
>> Anonymous
>>411875
average at best is still okay, if that's what you think about them. he can still be a flame thrower and toss in the change-up and curve to let the hitter know he has them. remember these are pitches he's had not something he just started learning when he got to AAA or the bigs. once he can get to 100 pitches a game, then he can refine them.
