Who was it that lived here? Oh, it was Hemingway, Lets see, oh, Grover Cleveland owned a house here, 3 miles down the road, hmm....

Yeah, Just because some bullshit survey says that the Retiree oldshit motherfuckers that move here from BOSTON and NEWYORK drive our I.Q. scores into the ground, Doesn't mean SHIT.

I'm tired of these fucking old dickheads that YOU will all turn into, then come to out fucking state and ruin anything that lives while you wait to literally fucking die. The only reason old people move here is because they are worried their god damn kids are going to forget about them, the heater is going to break and then they are going to freeze to death. So they bring all that fucking drama here.

Jerseyfag here breaking down NEw York teams for the butthurt Bawwwstonfag:

NFL:
New York Giants:
Current Super Bowl Champs of the world, started off the season 5-1, a great QB with alot of good years left on the horizon, and THREE very good running backs. Also 18-1

New York Jets:
Brett Favre, lol. Otherwise, shit.

MLB:
New York Yankees:
Even including these past few years, this is statistically the greatest sports team in America. Literally dozens of World Series championships won plus a whole lotta dynasties and history. Lots of the greatest players in the game played in pinstripes

New York Mets:
A team with a history of losing turns into a decent team with a history of choking. If it weren't for their inability to play clutch, they'd be a very good team.

NBA:
Nigger sport, couldn't tell you.

NHL:
New York Rangers and Islanders:
You got us on this one, lol. these guys suck. Go devils?

I count two great teams, 1 good team and one mediocre team. How many do you have? oh right, the Celtics.

Patriots don't count because 18-1, Bruins have and always will suck, and the Red Sox, while admittidly good have no real fan base, outside of douchebag fair weather fans and drunken losers
>> Anonymous
>>418971

Thank you I will. The Giants are doing very good this season, our QB is nice and healthy and the team is producing great run and big plays when they need to.

The Jets have a new QB, a great young coach and are starting to build something new for this franchise.

The Yankees didn't do as well I i thought they would but hey you can't stay at the top forever. New manager so we have to work the kinks out.

New York Yankees- 26, Red sox- 7. Just gonna leave this here.

As for the Mets, not much of a Met fan myself. I don't follow them. Great team but not for me. I am sure they will continue to grow and make a great name for themselves one day.

As for our NBA team the Knicks, you can have basketball. No one really cares anymore. Basketball hasn't been entertaining since Jordan.

I'll enjoy my teams, you enjoy your fail.

I'm not even a bostonfag and your post is so full of derp and arrogance I have to call you out. Giants are overrated, jets flat out suck, don't care about baseball and you're excluding boston's version of the yankees in the celtics. the hockey squads are debatable.
>> Anonymous

We would include the Bills, but they aren't as popular in the NYC area as they are in upstate NY. It is a shame because they are a good team but living in NYC Giants/Jets, Yanks/Mets are hammered into our minds.

Boston vs NY

MLB - NY. Even I have to admit this. The success of the Yankees is good enough to both make up for the Mets fail and still beat the Red Sox

NFL - Push. Giants > Pats but Pats > Jets. And if you're putting all the NY teams together you then the Jets take away from the greatness of the Giants. Sorry, but true.

NBA - Bos. No question here, the Celtics. The basketball version of the Yankees (or hockey version of the Canadiens, if you will)

NHL - Push. Bruins, Rangers, and Islanders all suck.

Total - Push. Cities are equal. Now stop your bitching.

>> Anonymous
>>419095
>Giants are overrated

This makes me RRRAAAAAAGGGGEEE so much.

The list of things the Giants have going for them:
1 superb coach
1 excellent young QB
3 very good running backs
2 talented Wide Recievers
1 of the best Offensive lines in the game

Not to mention the 11 game road winning streak that thrusted them into the super bowl to beat the previously undefeated Patriots.

Now, they start off the season 5-1 even with a defense that admittedly isn't as good as last year's and people still have the gall to call them overrated?

so tell me, idiot, what by your definition is a team that's good?

>superb coach
I bet you were amongst all the other fags calling for his head midseason last year.
>great young qb
don't get carried away with yourself, eli is still eli. he has good stretches and bad stretches. he has a long way to go before he's considered "great"
>good running backs
I'll give you that
>talented wide receivered
Plaxico and who? the rest of them are all 3rd stringers or worse on any other team. Toomer is good but he's on the older side which doesn't help your "future" argument
>1 of the best offensive lines in the game
Sure.

So, nothing positive to say about the defense? Secondary is a mix of mediocre old guys and young unproven guys. Linebackers are alright, but Pierce is hugely overrated. D-Line is great healthy, but now they're middle of the pack.

Once they start playing elite teams (which there seem to be so few of now) they're going to get beat.
>> Anonymous
>>419147
>so i guess if a team has a bad day that automatically qualifies them as overrated?
yes
just look at 18-1
>> Anonymous
>>419158
Toomer is IMO, one of the most meaningful clutch wide recievers in the game, every single time we need a big play, toomer is there to elevate our spirits with a spectacular catch, sure he's old and doesn't help us in the future, but i never made a future argument.

Tom Coughlin is a superb coach, hands down. No one outside of Sportscenter (lol) was calling for his head, we trusted him

I will give you that Eli has his good and bad stretches, but those bad stretches are now lasting alot shorter and are now more few and far netween. When was his bad stretch this year? the browns game? He played great this week vs. the niners.

I'll give you the defense though, other than the lin we suck there, but no team is perfect all-around.

Are the giants the best team in football? no. Are they way more than "overrated? hell yes

eli's bad streak hasn't happened yet because he hasn't even played a team i'd call mediocre (skins were terrible and injured in the first game)
>> Anonymous
>>419199
Alright, then we have some common ground.

Super bowl champs this year? hell no (THAT.BIRD. lol)

Divison champs though, hell yes.

Skins and eagles suck, we can beat them. And the cowboys aint got shit on us with an injured QB in Homo. we can take 'em, plus they're already two games back.
>> Anonymous

Where do you think companies get their money from. People invest in these companies, with that money it grows, able to expand and develop and offer jobs. These jobs give people money, this money allows people to buy things (a demand if you will) this demand is supplied by companies.

Are you going to actually sit there and believe that without the NY stock exchange we would be where we are now. It created an economy for this country.

Stop, run like 10 yards, stop, run like 10 yards, and maybe you can get a big play and if you're really lucky, someone injured. Repeat ad nauseum for 2-3 hours.

At least in baseball, any pitcher can be a possible big play or the biggest fuck up in your life. A good matchup like tonight is what baseball's all about. And I find it 1000000000000x more exciting than football.

as opposed to the fourty minute break we have to endure in between pitches? Even when the guy hits the damn ball, it's mostly no more interesting than: "High fly ball right up center-field, easy catch, he's out" NEXT BATTER

RE Giants: If you are ranked number 1 and you aren't the best team you are OVERRATED.

I think they are the best team in football right now though. The most balanced as far as offense, defense, and special teams. Even though they are 5-1, they haven't played their best football yet. Does this mean they are going to automatically win the super bowl, or even the division? Of course not, nobody but trolls say that. Not when there is more than 1/2 the season left. Especially not IF YOU LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE, as Woody Paige would say.

Anyways, the best thing I saw on Sunday was that they held San Frans running game to a laughable 35 yards. The worst thing I saw were stupid pre-snap penalties and a few special teams blunders (like the blocked field goal that was returned for a td)
>> Billy the Blue Ranger !5lGrhM17rM
(cont.)

I don't think there is a team in the league that has the same depth as the Giants at so many positions. Their two star defensive ends are gone before the season starts (Stray retires and Osi is injured in the preseason) and they barely miss a beat. Their middle linebacker Antonio Pierce goes down due to injury and his backup Chase Blackburn comes in and the D doesn't miss a beat. Running back? 3 backs that rotate and get regular play, but any one of them could be a star back in another offense. Let's recall a certain player who was traded to Green Bay in the 2007 preseason and is now their star back. Same deal with the wideout position, guys like Tyree and Hixon and Sinorice Moss could all be starters if they went elsewhere, but instead play from the bench more often then not while the starters are healthy. Not to mention rookie from Michigan, Manningham, from what little I've seen from him in preseason he'll be a great receiver for this offense at some point as well. And last but not least I'll just mention the Giants O-line, definitely one of the most underrated in the league. Eli's looking good, because he has time to make his reads, feel comfy, and step into his motion. When he does he's one of the most clutch, accurate, QBs in the game. He's got some ridiculous number of game winning drives under his belt and only in his 5th season and still getting better. I'm just going to stop because this post is too long already.
>> Anonymous
>>419315
They only break when it's 1) top or bottom of the inning, 2) exchanging pitcher, and 3) something problematic came up. The pop up are good when your team is winning, frustrating when your team fucks it up and there's the potential of an error, once in a while of Uggla proportions.

In football, it's like a commercial after every fucking play. And a sack right after the fucking hut.
>> Anonymous
Sports is all about personal taste. I myself like Football because it is fast pace and strategic, so many factors go into a single play which makes it fun to watch for me personally. Hockey is the same way, it is not a simple sport to play. Football and Hockey are just fun to play and watch.

Now Baseball on the otherhand is based on patience if anything and while I myself am i patient person I can't bring myself to sit through a full game. Next time you watch a game notice how much time is wasted between pitches. Still a great sport to play, not fun to watch unless it's your favorite team.

Basketball hasn't been as popular in the U.S since Space Jam came out. Plus as we all know, it's the last 2 min that count.
>> The Only Damn Jerseyfag In Here !!EKdX53ZguNo
>>419320
fellow giantsfag but even i gotta admit, your giving them too much credit dude.

The defense, other than our line is mediocre at best, as for all Wide recievers not named Buress or Toomer, they're nothing i'd look twice at either.

We have the division wrapped up, i'm telling you. We beat the skins already, the eagles suck and the boys are falling apart. The division is basically being giftwrapped and sent to Coughlin's doorstep

Other than that though, i completely agree with everything else you said, although it's no secret that the Giants O-line is superb, so i wouldn't call them underrated.

>>419323
or the 30hrs wasted when the batter steps in and out of the box to adjust himself for the eighth time, or the pitcher looks at all the baserunners for the 300th time and then balks. It's like watching grass grow compared to football.
