Cities that I would like to see have a Superbowl in the next few years...1. New York (if they can ever establish a stadium with a retractable roof).2. Minneapolis/St. Paul (the cold won't matter; it's a dome).3. Oakland (Uh...maybe not).4. Seattle (I live in Atlanta, but I've been to Qwest field; it's not too bad and I'd like to see a Super Bowl in the rain)5. Atlanta (I'd like to know why we don't get it more, especially since, arguably, the best SB ever was played here)...pic related. Finally, 6. St. Louis (why the hell not? The city would be great hosts).Your thoughts? Add more cities you'd like to see, as well...but give legit reasons.
new orleans...we hosted so many yet won so few.
>>489708New Orleans sure could use the money.
I want a snowbound Super Bowl.New York, New England, Green Bay, Chicago, Philly, Pittsburgh... one of those.
>>489713FUCK YEAHi guess new york will probably host one in their new stadium
>>489704>Finally, 6. St. Louis (why the hell not? The city would be great hosts).I guess you've never been to St. Louis.Their downtown is a ghost town. There is no one there.
Minneapolis won't host the Super Bowl again unless and until we build a new domed football stadium. The Metrodome is old and decrepit... with so many world-class stadiums available to host, I can't see the NFL choosing the Metrodome again.
>>489717Right, but it's a decent mid-point for a lot of fans to travel to.
>>489713Won't ever happen no thanks to the NFL's "good weather" policy when it comes to the SB.
>>489723Yeah, that really worked out well for the NFL when Super Bowl XLI was in Miami and it rained the entire game.
>>489704how about tennessee hosting a super bowl?
>>489722>>489722I don't think you understand. There are next to none resturants downtown, nothing. Everything is boarded up. I mean, it's worse than Indy and when it comes to fail cities, Indy is up there.
>>489727Listen to this man. I've never been there but I know what a dead downtown area is like. Creepiest shit EVER.
I would like for them to host a superbowl in Philly, the fans will be hostile and throw snowballs and batteries on both teams.
as n Oakland resident, i would like to see us host a super bowl, i just cant see it happenin
Fuck the "good weather policy". Cincy would make a great host city for a Super Bowl. PBS is about the only good thing we Cincy residents have, and we're still paying for that shit. <_< At least we can see a Super Bowl in Cincy..
I submit, Tampa Bay, or Houston, both cities could use the perks, and the oppertunity to host in my honest opinon
>>489778>Tampa BayYou do know they've had them in the past and this year's is there?
>>489772I used to live downtown. Every single store closes at 5, every restaurant is closed by 10, and all bars are closed by 12. It was terrifying to be outside anytime when it was dark.
>>489716New York's new stadium isn't a dome, dude
>>489796Yep, open roof just like the current one...should be big enough to hold a huge super bowl crowd, but there is no way we'll ever get to host one.
Charlotte will never host one. We have perfect weather for it, just no one cares about Charlotte.
Detroit, I mean, we don't use it anyway.
OP we had a superbowl in the rain, IT SUCKED.
Delaware. DO IT.
Play it at Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, or United Center every year and rotate.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Playoff_Game,_1932It's been done before
>>489830I SECOND THIS
Hawaii. because FUCK YOU rest of the country, I'm tired of watching shitty pro bowls....
the detroit SB was pretty awsome
>>489850Hey, did you know Jerome Bettis was born there?
>>489704Philly wasn't even in there, you put Oakland ahead of us, are we really hated that much?
LOS. ANGELES.Tickets will start at $5000 because of all the celebs that will attend
>>489713PittsburghMaybe years ago at Three Rivers, but Heinz Field gets too torn up by season's end.But totally fuck this DA SUPABOWEL GOTS TO HAVE NICE WEATHER bullshit.
>>489846
>>489908Thirded.
>>489708Last time you hosted the Pats (when everyone still liked them) beat the Greatest Show on TurfThe time before, the BRETT FAVRES beat the Pats.
>>489886Yeah, I'm thinking that might be an ok idea...Stick the Super Bowl in the Rose Bowl or the Coliseum like they used to in the old days...
Green Bay.Fuck your pussy warm weather shit. This isn't soccer, be a fucking man and play in the snow with a -5 degree windchill you goddamned homo.
New OrleansWe could really use it for the economy >.>
>>490315Stop getting hit by hurricanes so much
