wasn't a choke, the team sucked, they never had any advantage against the hornets.

Dirk played his ass off during the whole series.

The team just isn't very good. Its not Dirk (or at least not Dirk not playing hard enough.)

Dear anonymous,

Can I just go to the Spurs?

Love,

Dirk

Spurs wouldn't want him because he wouldn't be able to fit in with the team defense.

spurs wouldnt want him because he's terrible

fuck yeah i was last year's mvp, gayz

yeah fucking right. I'm a Spursfag and i'll admit he would beat the hell out of Oberto in both those categories.

Of course putting him in the starting lineup would essentially nullify Kurt Thomas since Duncan would have to play center. Amirite?

Spurs wouldn't want him because he doesn't punch and kick the other team's players.

Also officials don't notice the violence due to their betting on Spurs to win. (Look at 07 playoffs, faggots.)

Are you kidding me? Dirk would have to be a bench player at best... he isnt tough enough to play d at the PF level at all.
>> Anonymous
>>84643
you're implying Oberto plays d

bawwwwwww harder faggot. The Jazz are the dirtiest team in the West, and if you've been following the circus between Atlanta/Boston Cavs/Wizards you'd know the whole fucking East is dirty as well

lolwut?

Things the Spurs have not done this playoff season

*air tackle Lebron James
*throw CP3 to the floor Aikido style
*knock out Carl Landry's tooth
*start a brawl and shove a ref
*lower a shoulder and ram Tony Parker at full force as he was driving to the rim
*chaos elbows
*flop with 20 seconds left in regulation to win game 2, and flopped again in the same situation in game 3 but failed (referencing the Uta/Hou series if you didn't catch it)

Oberto plays defense, and pretty well.

>>84629
And if you don't understand what Oberto gives to the team I doubt you are a Spursfag at all. He works his ass off to create chances for his teammates, he gets vital rebounds and receives offensive fouls at crucial times. Without those type of players the Spurs wouldn't be where they are now.

no. he's just a placeholder. he only averages 5 rpg and has even less ppg. You'd have to be retarded to think that replacing him with Dirk would be a detriment to the Spurs in ANY regard much less in an overall sense.

I'm telling you again, the Spurs don't play in a "hey guys look at my stats!" way. Oberto manages all of the "dirty" work. The stuff that doesn't come up in the stats.
And I'm not saying that Nowitzky would be a detriment to the Spurs, he's a GREAT player. I'm saying that you're underestimating Oberto's role in the team. And Popovich has no doubts about that role.
