Wings would, too. IF only because it'd give us somebody to really hate again.

Wings/hawks rivalry used to be so good, but it's been dead a while now. I'd love to see it revived. Ditto with wings/avs rivalry.

Next year we'll be in the playoffs for sure! I'm afraid we won't resign Wiz, but hopefully thats just to make room for a top-line D-man like Campbell

Wings fans dont think there's a Hawks/Wings rivalry just because the Wings have been out of the Hawk's league. But now the only teams this year w/ the Wing's number is Chicago. And Chicago ALWAYS hates Detroit.

Forever and ever.

>>35081

Heh. I'll keep that in mind if ever I go to chicago and make sure to pack my wings jersey.

Seriously though...it has been a while since we've had to bother hating the blackhawks, you have to admit...
>> Mazarin
>>35084

Sucks for sure - we've had people wondering if the PREDs were becoming a rival. My reply to that is Nashville doesn't deserve hockey and Tootoo is a shit. Wizniewski beat the crap out of him w/ one leg.

I can guarantee that Detroit's PRAYING the Hawks don't somehow squeak into that 8th seed. One Det/Chi playoff series and all will be right in the hockey world again.

Tootoo is a dick. Uses his stick to fight.

>>35089

Are you kidding? We'd love that. Or at least, I would. It'd get people back at the games, even with money as scarce as it is in detroit.
>> Mazarin
>>35095

LOL true. Who the fuck ever thought CHICAGO WOULD OUTDRAW DETROIT as far as home attendance(near the end of the season, anyway) Amazing how the death of one man could change so much. Real shame he couldn't get his head out of his ass as far as running the Hawks went. $Bill was nothing but a gentleman in person.

I'm just waiting to freeze my ass off @ sold out Soldier Field in 2010 for the Det/Chi Winter Classic.

DETROIT FANS:

Make your team destroy Nashville in regulation time. Thanks.

No, imagine this: A chicago/detroit hockey game held at Michigan Stadium.

That would set a record for attendence nobody would ever be able to top, if only because the big house is...well, so damn big.

We will try, valiantly. The only thing we Wings fans hate more than the Predators is the Ducks.

DALLAS FANS:

Make your team lose to us. Thanks.

No. I still maintain my hatred of the Avs over the Ducks. Though only just. This has been bolstered of late by the avs putting the hurt on lidstrom, thus beginning the Red Wing Month of Pain.
>> Mazarin
>>35118

I'd go to that. But I don't think they'd be able to fill it.
>> Anonymous
>>35129

I bet they could, if the lowered the prices on tickets enough. I mean, they sell it out every saturday for every game and stuff it to 109% capacity or something (official seating, 107,501, but they generally get 109,000 and sometimes over 112,000) in there.

It'd be a matter of price, but I'd go to it. I love the big house. I love the Red Wings. I'd be a near religious experience.

Indeed. It'd be like Jews and Muslims @ the Temple Mount LOL

Eastcoast and Nidwest fags get out of this thread. Sharks are winning the cap this year so you might as well give up.

So handful of drunken idiots = all Sharks fans?

Oh, and hey dude.
>> Mazarin
>>35433

Holy Shit, how you doin!?

And those few fans were pretty loud then. I will say, the SJ fans are smarter hockey-sence wise than alot of other teams' fans. That surprised the hell outta me.
>> NeoChaos !dpnkF6a4qg
>>35437
Doing fine, thank you. And things are certainly looking up for the Hawks; here's hoping you guys can make it next year.

The drunk fans always tend to be loud. I still wince at that incident whenever someone brings it up, because I know the rest of the Sharks fanbase is better than that; the 06 playoff run seemed to bring in more idiots than usual.

And yeah, most of the fanbase is pretty well informed. There's a lot of ex-Canadians and folks who moved in from hockey-crazy parts of the US here in the Bay Area (and even a small group of bitter Oakland Seals fans), and they like to spread their knowledge to newer Sharks fans, so our knowledge of the game seems to be typically higher than most of the 1990's expansion fans.
