Hell yeah, this game was definitely needed. Fortunately it was won in regulation as well.

The Penguins are doing it better.

It doesn't matter, the Leafs still won't make the playoffs.

I learned to believe any possibility since
18-1*
>> Anonymous
>>33915
lol if it took you until 18-1 to see anything is possible in sports than you really are a fucknut.
>> Anonymous
now the leafs need to win 13 more games. problem is there is only 10 games left
>> Anonymous
>>33988
Suppose the following

Flyers go 5-5-1 OR Bruins goes 4-6-2
Leafs go 8-1-1

Flyers +11 (90) OR Bruins +10 (90)
Leafs +17 (91)

That would put the Leafs in the playoffs unless the Sabres/Capitals/Panthers have a similar push.
>> Anonymous
>>33993
yes washington, florida, and buffalo will all lose their games, whilst leafs make it into the playoffs and win the stanley cup.
>> Anonymous
>>33995
Really. Who cares if the Leafs sneak into the playoffs or not? It's not like they would do anything once they got in.
>> Anonymous
So the Leafs are on a mission to get a mid-round draft pick? Business as usual I guess.

Enjoy being shitty for more seasons to come. Shoulda tanked and had a chance at Stamkos.
>> Anonymous
>>33995
7. Boston 80
8. Philly 79
9. Buffalo 75
10. Washington/Florida/Toronto 74

I said a similar push. That would mean none of those teams getting more than 15 points during the rest of the season.

Boston lost in regulation, to the worst team in the East

FUCK YEAH!

*sigh* Canucks.

You know what, Leafs make the playoffs, and then they lose to Devils/Canadiens....
>> Anonymous
>>34414
Or beat Ottawa, like they always have in the playoffs.

Not that I believe the leafs are going to make the playoffs.
>> Anonymous
>>34523

I hope they do just so they beat the Sens again. My city is overrun with Sens fans and they're the biggest fucking douchebag fans in all professional sports, except for Yankees fans.
>> Anonymous
>>34525
Leafs fans may be more numerous, but from my experience, one on one Sens fans ARE huge fucking douches in comparison.
>> Anonymous
>>34528

Didn't some sens fans get a bit too rowdy and end up punching a woman buffalo fan in the face one time?
>> Anonymous
>>34531

Wouldn't surprise me. Around here (Cornwall Ontario, about 45-60 minutes south east of Ottawa) Sens fans are fucking obnoxious pricks who won't hesitate to call you a fucking retard for cheering for any team BUT the Sens.

Here's an article about it.

I'm not surprised at all. I love how badly they're playing now because I can rip on Sens fans big time and then tell them, "Yeah, how's it feel motherfucker? This is how you act for most of the season!"

I've been watching the Leafs since I was about two years old (born in 82), I'm a die-hard fan. But I'll cheer for the Habs before I cheer for the fucking Sens.

>>34612

That's the problem with douchebag fans. I'm a Canucks fan but it's not like I think they can do no wrong and that everyone else sucks for cheering for another team. I hate fans that can't take criticism of their team.

This one girl I know tries to go off on a tangent whenever I make a small criticism about the Canucks and I tell her to shut her fucking mouth because she sounds like an idiot.

In Cornwall, before the Sens showed up, you were either a Leafs fan or a Habs fan. The rivalry was fun, in good spirits.

Here's the problem with Sens fans: If you're in your early to mid 20s and up, and you're a Sens fan, there's a good chance you only got into hockey because there's now a team close by. Or, you were already a hockey fan, and you stopped cheering for the team you originally liked, just because Ottawa is closer.

Also, it's just the easy thing to do. You know the Sens are going to win, so people blindly cheer for them. I see SO many girls with Sens hats or jerseys, but they couldn't tell you a single fucking stat, they just cheer because they know they're going to win.

The guys are dicks about it though. They will downright insult you, and tell you you're a fucking idiot for cheering for anyone else, especially the Leafs.

Yeah, well fuck you, I grew up watching the Leafs. I'm not going to just abandon my team. Not for anything.

They also seem to have no sense of the industry. They don't realize that there are reasons they haven't won a cup since '67. I'd like to see the Sens manage nearly two decades with Harold Ballard running the show. They'd lose all their fans in probably 5 or 6 years, and they'd be moved to an American city within a decade.

Blah. TL;DR Sens fans are douches and they aren't real hockey fans.
>> Anonymous
>>34528

South east divison fans are the worst. They think because their division won the cup twice in 3 years that their divison / teams are fucking gods.
>> Anonymous
>>34625
I lol at Leafs fans trying to legitimize their hatred for Sens fans.

9/10, Would laugh again.

And therein lies your problem.

Sens fans had to go through 5 years of crap seasons too, And we went through tons of GMs and coaches. Fans were fairly patient, but eventually we had to voice our displeasure with management.

Sure we have not experienced what you Leafs fans did during the Ballard era, but think about it: Maybe if Leafs fans weren't so rabid in their undying approval of management, the Leafs would have done something about it during those 20 odd years of shitty hockey.

If our team sucks, we stop going to games. But not Leafs fans, you guys basically support mediocrity every time you sell out a game during a sub 500 season. The fact Leafs fans are so patient with their hockey club of choice indirectly affects how much management will care about success. If you want to show how much you love your team, stop supporting them during times of mediocrity. Maybe it will smarten up your organization, rather than have them only care about the financial bottom line.

>But not Leafs fans, you guys basically support mediocrity every time you sell out a game during a sub 500 season.

Actually if you ever seen a leaf game at the ACC you would notice that all the platinum, gold, and basically non-nosebleed seats are filled with suits on their blackberries eating sushi. All the "true" leafs fans go to Buffalo and maybe those who can afford to dish out $86 dollar nose-bleed tickets at the hanger.

Most people under 30 I noticed don't give a shit about the leafs anyway and are more into the raptors, TFC, and jays... although soccer and baseball are boring they're great to watch when you are drunk and nothing beats screaming at steroid users, 40 odd dollars gets you close enough to the players so they can hear you, fucking awesome.

Are you fucking kidding me? Leafs fans who actually know anything about the team HATE MLSE.
