Hey /sp/, I'm looking for my first snowboard. I've been boarding for the past few years and finally made it over a hump and am ready to get my own gear and learn some technique. I am about 5'1", average-weight female. I was told that a board between 134 and 145 would be good for me, but that's all I know. Can I get some help/tips/advice please?

Sheesh. This thread is about snowboards, not me. Give me some useful info and I'll post a pic.

Go to /an/, not a sports board that never talks about this stuff.

But...why wouldn't a sports board talk about sports?

Watching, not playing. This is armchair quarterback territory.

since no one else gives u legit advice...

i live in California (close to Sierra Nevada) so i'm planning on heading up as well

and i would your first board as a rental to be honest. The staff are required to give you a board/ski based on your height and weight

or if you want to own one, go into a shop

dont buy it online. If you must, at least go in the store and bug them but dont buy it there (will be more expensive)
