Future Ace huh?

I have been saying since around the end of May that he needs to go back to Pawtucket for the rest of the season. He's just not ready yet. It's obvious his fastball command is not what it should be, and anyone who knows pitching can clearly see he is not trusting his stuff. He's trying to be too fine and he's getting pounded because of it.

i obviously wasn't counting nolan ryan. i was just saying that mediocre/crappy pitchers are always throwing no hitters/threatening to.

Remains to be seen.

I met Robin Ventura; he admitted he got the shit kicked out of him. Later on him and Nolan joked about it, so it's not like they would duke it out again.
That said, Nolan Ryan would STILL kick his ass, as would 231921's ass.

-Put Masterson back in the rotation

-Send Buck down to AAA.

Problem solved.

not really. its pretty sad, but he's been our most consistant pitcher all year.

Fuck, I've been saying that all summer. Glad to see somebody shares the same feeling.

Daisuke is better

ill agree, but i dont think hes been as consistant on an inning-by-inning basis. he still runs into brick walls for no reason on the mound.

also, lol @ gordan and pena.

He is a future Ace. Key word is future. His K rate is still quite high, but he only has command of his fastball on like 70% right now, and that means hes going to get knocked silly for leving stuff in the up in the zone, whenever hes not strikeing them out. They thought he fixed it last time he was in AAA but it came back.

Alex GORDON and Tony Pena jr. are nowhere near the same class of player. TPJ should have been off this team months ago, and in 2 years, you'll know how to spell gordon.

Pena has his own bobblehead night in September. It's going to be hiliarious. Part of me wants the team to change it to a Joakim Soria bobblehead, but part of me wants to see the hiliarity of Hispanic Heritage Night where we highlight the guy with the worst hitting season of anybody in over 100 years.
