European soccer (futbol) fans what's the deal with your soccer knowledge? That's one thing I've always been curious about. For instance in the US we have 32 teams roughly 50 players a team. For diehard fans it is easy to know everyone on every team (at least starters) for your average fan.In soccer there are so many leagues with so many teams it seems. Does your average fan in Europe only pay a lot of attention to teams in your own country, for instance a fan of Spurs only follows EPL? Or if you were asked who is the starting halfback for AC Milan would most fans know?
I'm pretty sure AC Milan don't have a starting halfback...However, most football fans would be able to identify the 'big' players of each of the 'big' teams in the 'big' leagues (Eg: England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany)
There's a lot more transition between European leagues than there is between, say, NFL and Canadian Football. That hampers things quite a bit too.
if they follow a team in say england thell be more prone to know all the players in that league. and players that there team is intreasted in buying. and if a teams in champions league ussally know all thoose players
Amerifag here, I can follow any European team if I try hard enough. I think the basic problem is the CONTINENTAL DIFFERENCE. OP IS DUMB.
