terrible penalty, doesn't detract anything from his season tho, me personally i've lived in Salford my whole life... always been a United fan always will be.

what you need to grasp is really quite simple, when a club becomes successful inevitably it attracts fans from further afield.

-> this IS the reason why our league attracts some of the greatest players in the world, not only because of the money, but because of the worldwide support and reputation worldwide.

if you want to get rid of the so called 'gloryhunters' you speak of prepare to lose all of the players who make this league awesome and your teams what they are.

and just because people don't support their local teams does not mean anything, just means they may not have the commitment of other fans.

Everything in this world is a choice, and it is up to individuals to make those choices, for fucks sake, i could have chosen to support anyone if I wanted, but I was brought up as a United fan, and I will die one and i don't have any problems with anyone anywhere who feels the same.

ITT: OP who doesnt understand how anything in this world works

just out of curiosity which team do you support?

i have no problem with your post. only that you felt the need to defend yourself when all i'm pointing out is that United fans are - for the most part - incapable of being critical of Ronaldo.

I could care less what club anyone supports. The glory hunter part of it just tends to infuriate MU fans, so i tossed it in for good measure.

Beyond the penalty, CR played a crap game at the Camp Nou and all anyone does is defend him. He took a swan dive when he would have had one-on-one with Valdes and spent more time in the referee's ear than on the ball.

i support Barça and while I think Eto'o is a top 5 striker, i can be objective enough to say he's played like pure shit the last 3 matches and may have costs Barça a crucial goal on the Messi - Iniesta - Eto'o play which would have been a golazo.

None of the top 4 clubs' fans can take any criticism of their better players.

i don't what do you want me to say?
Ronaldo has had a shit season? since it isnt the case, he's scored 38 goals in 42 games, he showed his class against arsenal and in the Roma games...i completely agree that ronaldo didn't perform at Barca, i have never denied that, (nor would any of the people screaming at him in the pub i was in anyway) but it was a poor effort as a team rather than the single player...we went to the Nou Camp with completely the wrong frame of mind, no idea why, not sure if it was because we were going for the draw, the result of the missed penalty or the intimidation of your stadium/fans, seeing as most of our squad have never been to such an intimidating arena, (i say that because i went to see a barca game once :p)

i just think if we start the game with a squad in the right state of mind, which I trust we will at Old Trafford the game will be much tighter and he can prove to everyone what he can do!

that is all

utd fan here - i feel sorry for cech tho...he keeps getting smacked in the face every week it seems, to be honest, i'm not suprised he's abit wary of going in for 50/50's, gotta admit, probli best keeper in the prem at the moment apart from some o them crosses!

if it wasnt for cech, riise might hav had to put another in the other night

Amerifag united fan here, Second.

Also Van Der Sar is dodgy on corners, Giggs is lacking good premier league pace anymore, though he is still great.

Anderson apparently cant even find his shooting boots, even though he's been looking EVERYWHERE.

Also, Scholes is possibly the worst tackler ever.

Rovers have the best goalie in the EPL, Friedel

Arsenal fan here, Fabregas is clearly homosexual.

hmm
van der sar also dodgy on kicks it seems
i know what you mean about anderson...been to recent home games and his shooting is clinical in training on the pitch, just no idea why he cant bring it into his game on the pitch, but he is more of a supplier.
Giggs and Scholes will have to go soon
and Scholes's tackles they always make me laugh speshli when he just swipes n never looks!

Yeah, i've seen anderson do some crazy stuff o at his former clubs with shots, but he is a good supplier.

Also Ronaldo is generally a whiney cunt, but he should probably be alound to throw tricks and not be called for showboating.

He's not as consistent as most would like, but has had a brilliant season beyond the diving and complaints.

Tevez gives the ball away too much, and then goes crazy chasing after it sometimes throwing a rash tackle.

Also, Patrice Evra is clearly homosexual.
