Chone Figgins the 3rd baseman on my fantasy team right now, but with the recent hamstring injury, I'm concerned about whether he'll be as good as he was before when he comes back.

When I checked the Free Agency, I saw that Scott Rolen is available and batting .306 right now. Should I drop Figgins and pick up Rolen?

I also have Stephen Drew on the bench. Should I just drop him instead of Figgins, and just keep Figgins on the bench until he returns?

Should I just not worry about Rolen and keep it how it is?

oh and Kevin Kouzmanoff is available as well

Oh man, we are having the same dilema. I lost Figgins AND Zimmerman. I grabbed Iwamura for now.

I'm thinking Iwamura also, but Figgins has always been a base-stealing beast. I'm afraid if I drop him someone else will pick him up and he'll wreck the rest of the season.

Basically pick 2: injured Figgins, Iwamura, Rolen, Kouzmanoff, Drew

I haven't been keeping tabs on Rolen cause I'm not a Blue Jays fan but I'm not sure I would take my chances with him, could end up exactly where Chone is as well.

Honestly I dropped Noah Lowry off my roster to grab Iwamura since I just saw Lowry probably won't pitch this year. In your case, I would probably drop a spare part if you have any. Figgins is too good to drop. And honestly, I think he will be fine.

but for who? Iwamura? Rolen?

I went for Iwamura. Rolen is available but Iwamura gives me a little extra flexability when Zimmerman comes back.

Right now I have Utley at 2nd.

My bench consists of Ryan Church (LF, CF, RF), Cliff Floyd (LF, RF) and Stephen Drew (SS).

I would drop Drew but he is the only other player on my team besides Theriot that can play SS. Floyd and Church are batting better than him though. Any thoughts?

Cliff Floyd might play every day for a while now that Pena is gone. And you have Church who can also play those positions. And both are on the bench? Floyd looks to be the one you can drop.

The only reason I have 2 backup OFs is because there are 4 OF spots in my league not to mention a Utility spot.

My starting OF consists of LF - Nady, CF - Rowand, RF - Fukudome, OF - Vlad Guerrero, although I'm considering benching Vlad for Church because he's ice cold right now.

Jesus christ 4 OF spots? Wtf? PLUS a utility spot? Holy fuck. My league has C, 1b, 2b, 3b, SS, LF, CF, RF, Util, then pitching at SP, SP SP, RP, RP, RP, P, P. Now I understand. Still, I say drop Floyd. There are still decent OF you can grab, I would hope.

As long as you can have some decent 2b/3b replacements, I'd wait on Chone. He had his stay on the DL, and when he came back, had a SB that first game, along with a run.

He got put back on the DL, sure. That blows, but his coach isn't in a rush to put him back in that spot. He wants him healthy enough to play the rest of the season without a day off.

I fully see him producing the way he did prior to the injury. That's why I've held onto him in my league. People like Posada are more of a risk with their injuries.

I'd say, hold onto him. Put him in a DL spot or on the bench if you really need to keep others in that spot. And in 2 weeks, thank yourself you didn't drop him and let someone else grab him.

Well normally, I have Youkilis at 1B and Conor Jackson as my Util, but I think I'm going to be Youkilis to 3rd, move Jackson to Util, and then move Church to Util.

If he's going to be out for a while, then i'll move Vlad to the bench, Church to OF, and Floyd to Util.
