Round Ten - Hockenheim Anonymous
I'll go ahead and make the thread for this weekend's activities of the FIA 2008 German Grand Prix.

Hamilton is on pole with Massa and Kovalainen behind him. Alonso is fifth, ahead of both Kimi and Kubica. Heidfeld is on the failboat, failing to reach Q3.

Thoughts from any of /sp/'s established F1 enthusiasts?

I hope Hamilton fucks up again.

Of course.

McLaren did seem to be slightly edging it today, hoping they'll be joining Heidfeld on the failboat. What the hell is wrong with Kimi and his car so far this weekend?

>>220852
No idea from anyone. Kimi said they've simply struggled all weekend.

I dont understand why anyone would pay money to go and sit at one corner of the track and watch a few cars go past. yay, the atmosphere -.-

hamilton wins, overtakes piquet and massa from third after a badly timed pitstop to take the 10 pts.

Yet another race that ended with Räikkönen alive.
Fuck, F1 sucks ass.

Goddamn autopilot neutered techno piece of shit "cars".

Who said that power-overtaking was impossible in modern F1?

F1 thread is dead when Hamilton haters cannot slate him.

Piquet stays ahead of Ferraris for 15 laps with no problems, Hamilton gets him after 2 laps.

What the fuck, Ferrari, what the fuck. I'm halfway between RRAAAAGE and BAWWWWWW.

Raikkonen's having some sort of breakdown, Massa's performance wasn't actually bad, it just looked worse because of Piquet's luck with the one-stop strategy and the safety car and Hamilton's superb recovery.

As for Ferrari themselves, they've still got one of the best cars, but it seems like McLaren may have pipped them on development.

I love mclaren team orders lol. Fucking british cheaters

>McLaren may have pipped them on development.

Using Ferrari stolen tech amirite?
>> Anonymous
>>221816

I could point out Ferrari are the most famous for abusing team orders.

I could also point out that it certainly wasn't team orders that let Hamilton slice past Massa and Piquet as easily as he went past Kovi.

>>221824

You can tell McLaren haven't got any of Ferrari's technical data this year - they haven't pointed out to the FIA what illegal devices the red cars are using.

oh right, once again someone talks about A1ring 2002 incident. These old days, as far as i can remember, Ferrari was 10 times better than any other tim on the grid, and everyone knew ferrari would be the champions

But in 2008 this doesn't happen, and there are many participants who have chances to clinch the title. It's a big difference

>>they haven't pointed out to the FIA what illegal devices the red cars are using.

oh really huh? Tell us if you know ;)

>>221872

>oh really huh? Tell us if you know ;)

It's called a joke. If you need it pointed out to you, McLaren used last years stolen Ferrari documents to point out Ferarri's illegal flexi-floor.

Yeah, Raikkonen's been switched off the last couple of races. Massa was really the only one even close to being in touch with the McLarens over the weekend, he bagged third and yet still people are calling for him to be dropped...

The team need to get their developmental act together. Lucky they've got the test in Jerez next week.

You must be new to F1, here's a tip;

Team orders is when you have two drivers capable of winning the race, but the team tells one driver to let the other pass to help his championship standing.

Common sense is when one driver who cannot improve his position makes it easy for his faster team mate to pass rather than hold him up unnecessarily and risk a collision.

If you really believe Kovalainen is under orders to always let Hamilton pass, I suggest you go watch the start of the Silverstone GP where Kova nudged Hamilton out of the way so he could maintain first place.
