Wow, the NFC West team (Arizona) actually wouldn't be the worst playoff team to get in...

>New England

NFC East and North are wide open right now. I suspect both wild cards will come from the East.

Tampa and *choke* Arizona will win their divisions.

How the AFC is right now...that could be the playoffs. Except for the Chargers, they will probably get a wild card over New England.

Bears suck.

Not a Bears fan.

If the playoffs started today, the Packers' slightly better in-conference record (3-3 vs. 2-3) would give them the lead in the NFC North.

obligatory IF YOU LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE

but if you DO look at the schedule, the Cardinals stand a good chance of home field. Let's have a look:

8 Sun, Oct 26 at Carolina 1:00 PM
9 Sun, Nov 2 at St. Louis 1:00 PM
10 Mon, Nov 10 San Francisco 8:30 PM
11 Sun, Nov 16 at Seattle 4:05 PM
12 Sun, Nov 23 NY Giants 4:15 PM
13 Thu, Nov 27 at Philadelphia 8:15 PM
14 Sun, Dec 7 St. Louis 4:15 PM
15 Sun, Dec 14 Minnesota 4:05 PM
16 Sun, Dec 21 at New England 1:00 PM
17 Sun, Dec 28 Seattle 4:15 PM

I see three, maybe four difficult games (depending on if New England gets their shit together): @CAR, NYG, and @PHI. We're going to run over the conference opponents, Minnesota is entirely beatable in our own yard, and New England might be squishy enough by week 16 to make it possible.

inb4 Nolan gets fired next week and the 49ers roll off a ton of wins in a row. Then again, who would be our interim? Mike Martz? Shit. Never mind.

What's Marty doing?

I see you winning seven of those. Eight max. Pretty good.

So even if the Cardinals DO lose the non-conference games, they still finish 9-7, which will clinch the playoffs in the NFC West. However, a win off the bye week at Carolina would carry a lot of momentum going into the conference mess. Now, let's say the Cardinals win those three games: @STL, SF, and @SEA. The Cardinals would go into the week 12 matchup against the Giants, at home, with the momentum and mindset of a five-game win streak. No team wants to go play in someone else's yard when that team won last week, much less the last five games. In that occasion, the Giants are EXTREMELY beatable, carrying into the big fight against Philadelphia at Philadelphia.

cardinals aren't making the playoffs because of all your faggotry

The Philly game is going to be hard to win, and I doubt the Cardinals could win in Philadelphia. After that, the next big game is @NE, and that entirely depends on who shows up: the New England that beat the Chiefs, Jets, and 49ers... or the New England that lost huge to the Dolphins and Chargers. Either way, I'd rather this be a home game, but it's still winnable.

Worst case scenario? 9-7, still clinching the division. BEST case? 13-3, home field through the playoffs. Either way, this is the year we finally get to the postseason. I'll take it.

oone thing about Arizona

They are now in a great position to win the west

however, if any team in the history of the NFL ever could blow a lay-up like this, its the Cardinals.

Tampa fags aint gonna win the confrence for shit. They're not as good as they seem, the Carolina game was a fluke, Delhomme's bionic arm was broken.
