Inge actually does want to catch, he told Dave Dombrowski he wanted to do what he had to do to stay in Detroit.

Its only fair that since Farnsworth is leaving NYY that he goes on to be Det top relievers.
Shit seems to work like that.

I kinda felt bad for Farns. He really did like it in NY and thats kind of a shock, since most NY sports shows and fans ragged on em a lot.

Problem was, he just wasnt consistent enough, though last month or so he was doing really well. It always amazed me he has like a 98-100mph fastball, shit just explodes, but yet hes so damn hittable at time. The reason for that mostly, is because he throws too many FB's and hos FB never had a lot of movement. Its just 'here it is, right down the middle' and no matter how hard you throw, its usually gonna get pounded by most hitters. His slider was also not very good most of the time.

You look at someone like Rivera, who throws 93 tops now, but he has pin point control and that devastating cutter that just saws bats in half nearly every other hitter he faces. Or the Ramirez guy that NY has, who has a fantastic change up. You just cant be all that successful throwing FB's all the time, right down the middle and expect not to get touched up.

As for Ivan, ive never been a big fan of him. Yea, hes HoF'er material n all, but i dunno. I just never jumped on his bandwagon, and his best years are way behind em now anyway. Plus hes only temporary help, with Posada just signing a 4yr deal, as well as him being in his last year of his contract.

Yeah but think about. When Jorge comes back were going to have Jorge, Jose and Ivan. 3 top form catchers.

Well yea, but i dont believe that Ivan will be back, thats just it :). I think its a slap in the face to Posada, as well as 'too many cooks in the kitchen'. Posada will be healthy and ready to go by next year, and having to resign Rodriguez wont be cheap.

NY is gonna be looking to dump a lot of loot next year. You can kiss Giambi goodbye, which is why they signed Sexon, there is no way Jason is coming back. I respect Giambi a lot tho. He admitted to the steroid shit, which no other player did and rebounded nicely to have a good end in NY. He fucked up, he knows it, and he got through it, so good for him. He never returned to that MVP form since the 05, but he can still put up 20 a year and knock in 80+. He also has an amazing eye at the plate, arguably one of the best. Sexon really has spiraled out of control, i mean god damn. He used to be damn good, but i think playing in SEA really messed em up. Plus he strikes out so damn much. Honestly, id rather have Jay back, and Sexon dumped, but NY was wanting to get rid of him ages ago (mostly due to the roid controversy), and now since his contract is up, well its obvious that will happen.

Then ya have Mussina, who im sure will be gone.

Oh and actually, they have that Moeller kid too, so thats 4 catchers. But lol, he couldnt hit a beachball. He just cant hit whatsoever and is an automatic out every time hes up there.

Richie always sucked.

I dont think so. Mike is showing he still has something left in the tank. Ever since he started to become more a of finesse pitcher hes been pretty dominant. This could be Mooses first 20 win season.

I dont really want Jason to go. Hes such a fantastic hitter and really works the count. And with guys like Melky hacking at the first pitch all the time it really helps stretch a pitcher.
