Sage for Bill Simmons.

Fuck you, I post an article that written by dozens of Sonics fans, and you sage the guy for writing the opening paragraph.
>> Anonymous
Man is that a poorly written article. I read the first four paragraphs and have only a cursory idea of what the hell he's talking about.

You couldn't tell from the Goddamn title?

"Save the Sonics"

Yeah, like I said, apparently something bad is happening. I guess. I dunno. I don't really follow basketball in general or the Sonics in particular, and writing as though your audience is fully versed in everything is total hack work. Simmons is usually much better than that.

*SIGH*

If you'll excuse me, I'll be in my corner.

Or you could, you know, mention whatever the fuck it is that we're supposed to care about. In case you can't tell, your article is written for people who already know what you're talking about, just like you seem to think that we all know what you're talking about.

Quit being an emo bitch and fucking have a conversation about something.

that was a different person from the OP. Which is me. And you are easily unamused. Anyway, basic gist is that a year or two ago. People from OK bought the Sonics and are running the team to the ground so they have a thinly veiled excuse to move the team to OK city. Fans of the Sonics in Seattle are pissed off.

quit being such cunts and read the fucking BODY of the article, which is not simmons.

>>20276

Ah. Thank you for not being a faggot like the OP and assuming everyone knows everything about the Sonics. That does suck, and now Simmons' comments at the beginning make a lot more sense.

As a resident of OKC, I felt bad for Sonics fans at first. I had been a Sonics fan since the mid 90's with Kemp/Payton/Schrempf, so I felt divided.

But as I've read the derisive, vitriolic chatter from Seattlites, I've come to the conclusion that they can fuck off and die.

NO YOU DUMBASS. I AM THE OP. I WAS POINTING OUT THAT YOUR BITCHING WAS AT A DIFFERENT PERSON. AND YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A GIST IF YOU JUST READ ONE OF THE FUCKING LETTERS. JESUS F. CHRIST.

"Keep in mind that Clay Bennett isn't only stealing our beloved Sonics, but he's leaving the WNBA Storm in town. Gee, thanks, Clay! That's the equivalent of having your girlfriend move out of your place for some other guy and taking all of the essentials like the TV, stereo, and XBOX live subscription, while leaving her pink throw pillows and Hugh Grant DVD collection."

I lol'd then I baw'd.
As a native of Seattle, I'm sad to see our only real champion leave. If they really do leave.

You're a humongous faggot.

You're a horrible man OKC person. You should have gotten the Grizzles.

I read 4 paragraphs, had no clue what was being talked about, and decided I didn't care enough to read more of Simmons using big words because he can. Either get to the point somewhere in the front or I'm not going to read more. Nothing grabbed my attention. Live with it.

Also, enjoy losing your team. I had originally thought it was a shitty thing for the NBA to do, but if all Sonics fans are as assbaggingly self-important as you are, then you deserve it.

This Anon is from Seattle, and Clay Bennett is a jerk. You can't demand millions of dollars from the city if you have multiple losing records. I loves me some Kevin Durant, and I think that after a few more years and some time in the gym he's gonna be epic. But, sadly, I'm not going to be able to see it after they move the team.

The thing with the other teams is at least we taste some wins. Well, at least we do with the Seahawks. The Mariners are popular because we have Ichiro, who's legitimately one of the best players in the league. He brings people to the stadium just for him. But no one really does that for the Sonics, and the Key is a pit.

All in all it's a horrible situation and no one is going to come out of it seen as "good." But, as a basketball fan, I get screwed because of it.

fine, whatever. For a guy who doesn't care about the situation, you're in this thread a whole lot. All you had to do was pick a random part of the HUGE page and you'd find the subject matter. Not everything needs a byline online.

And I'm a Lakers fan in L.A. You don't have to be a Sonics fan to realize how shitty this is.
