When a teams' FOURTH line scores goals on your team's top defensemen...

Yeah, you get swept in the first round of the playoffs.

Cya sens, payback's a bitch!
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>62983

Hossa, Sykora, Staal(I'm aware he is the 3rd line center).

Their top 2 lines are unmatched in talent.

Not another team can touch that scoring ability.

20 goal scorers are a dime a dozen. You think that's talent?

>> Anonymous
>>63005
Protip: Your logic was that no other team had the scoring depth of the pens. Your logic is flawed.

Oh really? Tell me, what's the Pens cap room right now?

>Again, what does 6 players (fuck one of them is the goalie a majority of the time) have to do with 7+ 20 goal scorers?

20 goal scorers aren't talent or depth. They are a dime a dozen. No team in the league can match the Pens top two lines.

Period.
>> Anonymous
>>63024
Right, you're TOTALLY not biased at all.
>> Anonymous
>>63037

If they're so easy to acquire, why doesn't Pittsburgh use all that cap room to acqure as many as Philly?
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0

>>63060

Which is the amount of Hossa's contract this season. But, what makes you think he wants to resign? Fluery is going to want a lot more than his 1.6 mil contract, Malone is too, every UFA/RFA they have to resign is going to want an increase. Hell, the only way it will, is if they dick Malkin again, and don't extend his contract, after next season he's an RFA, and if he still is an RFA, you can wave bye-bye, because if you think people aren't going to offer him a sheet, HAH, you're even crazier than I thought.

The only reason they have Crosby and Malkin is because they had a shitty team, and got beat the fuck up at the right years to draft them. The Flyers built their team around mid round draft picks, trades, and signings and have done an amazing job at that.

You want to turn this around and talk about talent instead of numbers, hell, I'll play your game. Ovechkin. There. Done. Crosby will never have the scoring ability of Ovechkin. >Get off Crosby's dick fag. Ovechkin plays a stronger form of hockey, and is a much more prolific scorer. This has been proven.

So he's a selfish player that cherry-picks and dumps more pucks on net than anyone in the league.

Crosby, on the other hand, was leading the league in scoring when he was injured this year and crushed Ovechkin in scoring last year. Malkin was something like 40th in the league in scoring when Crosby first started to miss games. He almost won the scoring title. He's had a breakout year and is a more talented playmaker than Ovechkin.

Enjoy your shoot first left-winger. I'll take 2 centers that take their defensive responsibilities seriously and elevate the play of their team.

Such pussies these days. Bobby Orr practically played half his career on one leg and STILL raped the league.

lol? Ovechkin doesn't elevate the play of their team? Honestly? You think they would have won their division, let alone make the playoffs without him?

Also, Washington has 9 players with 30 or more points. Pens have 7. But you know, The Penguins have more depth than any other team, right?

Obviously not.

Crosby and his linemate both have 6 points. OV has 2.

Penguins are playing a horrific Sens team. Caps are playing a near healthy Flyers team and Biron has been standing on his head. Also, penguins played one more game. But then again, I don't see what 2/3 games matters at this point. Once again, do you think that Washington would have made the playoffs let alone win the division if they did not have Ovechkin?

Once again, the tripfag confuses redundant assists for actual scoring.

>ASSISTS ARE SO EZ TO GIT.

Care to explain why OV is tied for 43rd in scoring with heavyweights like Gary Roberts and Max Talbot?

Because Washington isn't playing against a team that plays like they're on a game-long 5-on-3 PK? ANY team that plays a series against the current Senators are going to rack up the points, the points aren't a statement on how good the Pens are so much as how terrible the Senators have become since the All-Star Break.

Okay, I'll spell it out for you since you do not get it.

For one goal, three players can earn a point: one "goal" for the last player to touch the puck, one primary "assist" for the second-to-last, and one secondary "assist" for the third-to-last. So, for one tally on the scoreboard, three players gain a "point" for their personal stats.

3 points -> 1 score

Are you getting how the number of points players have are not a be-all, end-all argument yet, or should I continue?
