Well Mr. Burns had done it,
The power plant had won it,
With Roger Clemens clucking all the while,
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile,
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the barroom tile...

We're talkin' softball...
From Maine to San Diego.
Talkin' softball...
Mattingly and Canseco.
Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw.
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law.
We're talkin' Homer... Ozzie and the Straw.

Best sports episode ever and right up there with my favorite television episodes ever. As far as Simpsons goes, it's only right behind 22 Short Films and Cape Feare.

This was seriously the best Simpsons episode of all time.

Coincedentally, the best King of the Hill episode is when Bill goes back to high school to get his football record back.

Obviously the best sports episode, but Homer boxing is a damn close second.

I liked that one, but I wouldn't call it the best KotH.

Come on man, it was basically a perfect episode! It could have been a movie if they dragged it out somehow.

The trip to Japan could have easily been dragged out to a movie, this ep, not so much.

The trip to Japan was mediocre.

Oh my god, football episode, when Bill was going across the line for the record tying touch down and all the guys were hanging off him, and the guy said "I'M OPEN" and Bill went "...NO" and clutched the ball and the music that was playing ... oh jesus, so epic.

What's wrong with the Denver broncos?
>> Haronymous
"Marge ... you just don't understand football."

Kinda ironic how that the Denver Broncos won two straight Super Bowls in the 97 and 98 seasons.
