ITT: Brand new 2008 Ray's fans.

Just knew it was coming.

Typical to follow a home run derby with a 1 run support. Josh Fuckett gets another wasted outing.

God FUCKING dammit

Thanks for wasting our Ace's outing.

Actually wait is Beckett even our Ace anymore? Lester's been a hell of a lot better this year.

His last two starts he's gone 14 innings, giving up zero earned runs. To the Red Sox. At some point he's not shitty anymore.

Rays Baseball.

SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS.
>> Anonymous
I can taste the Red Sox fan's tears.

What makes the more delicious is them calling Rays fans bandwagoners, WHEN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS ONE!

For the record, I was born in St. Pete within bike riding distance of the Trop (back when it was the Thunderdome). Not really a bandwagon fan, but whatever.

OP talks a lot of shit before the post season. Regardless of who finishes first, the two teams will be playing each other first round.

no, they won't. division rivals can only face each other in the LCS, not the LDS.

So If #1 and wildcard are in the same division, #1 and #3 play and #2 and wildcard play in first round? I was not aware.

Every Rays fan is a bandwagon fan, because nobody went to their games until this year.

Whoops. I meant nobody goes to their games.

Only in 04, 03 and 99

Red sox sucked while the Yankees were the best team in baseball, and now the Yankees suck while Red Sox are the best team in baseball. They met each other in between

More people went to their games than Marlins games.

I was some of those people. Usually in the outfield heckling the opposing team (they could hear it :D).

I'm pretty sure he meant the past few years, Yankees still sucked then, not making the playoffs is only a smidgen better than losing the ALDS

I find it hard to believe that a city that has had baseball for over a hundred years has a fan base made up ENTIRELY of bandwagon fans.

There are SOME fans of the Red Sox who aren't bandwagoners, i.e. the ones from Massachusetts who grew up to school and the Sox, like I did.
>> Anonymous
>>345026
We are few a far between.
>> Anonymous
Yes, there are a lot of bandwagon red sox fans. Guess what, real sox fans hate them too. Before 2004 nobody "became" a sox fan, just like nobody would want to become a cubs fan now, (don't get your hopes up Cubbies). Also, more red sox fans are showing up because they finally have something to be proud of. Let's just hope Tampa Bay manages to have more fans than the visiting side. Perhaps they should have 7 a.m. game times so all the old people are awake and show up.
>> Anonymous
Bandwagon fans are the ones in cities other than the home town who cheer for the team. Raysfag here. Before 2004, Red Sox games had the same lame attendance that all the other Rays games did. After 2004, Red Sox games had huge attendance. Unless there was some kind of mass migration from Boston to Tampa Bay in the early months of 2005, a bunch of faggots decided to become Red Sox fans.

Many of them were at tonight's game. I just got back. They raged hard, and were shut down. Red Sox fans rage in ways the Yankeefags wish they could rage. I counted eight Red Sox fans being hauled away in handcuffs. I'm sure there were more.

Yea, a lot of bandwagoners in Florida.

In my Aerodynamics class I saw a guy with a Mets hat on a week ago. Yesterday, I saw the same guy wearing a Rays hat.

... wtf?

Most Bostonfags are descended from Irish people to poor/lazy to stay on the boat for another few hours to get the real city a few hundred miles south.

They also traded with Britain during the war of 1812

The sox sold out Fenway before 2004. My family goes to Brookline every summer to visit my moms family and we would always see the sox. we also had to buy the tickets months in advance so they wouldn't sell out. Every game ive been to was full, and that's once a year since 1995.
