Wild/Avalanche series has been pretty epic. I'm praying it keeps up like this.

Are you fucking new to play-off hockey?

newfag must have never seen a playoff game before

I'm not the OP, but I have to say that this series is pretty gold. Overtime playoff games are right up both of these team's allyes. It wouldn't surprise me to see wither one of these teams in the Finals.

Two OT games in a row is pretty epic, in any sport.

They're usually called draws and happened all the time

uhh he said both teams...

I'm aware of how often hockey goes into OT, but it's even better in the playoffs, since that shit can't end in a draw.

None of the big American sports have draws anymore.

I can't stand the "we must have a winner" NHL.

The novelty of the shoot-out has worn out.

it's better than teams having 17 fucking ties at the end of the season, since we can't have continuous overtime in the regular season

No. No it is not. It's basically dictating that, in the event of a tie, the team with better goal-scorers deserves an extra point.

i know, I am saying the shootout is better than teams having 17 ties at the end of the year, but continuous overtime is still more exciting than a shootout

back to the point of this thread:

AvsFag here and I agree with OP, fantastic hockey so far. This series and Cal/SJ series been the best so far. I hope the refs keep letting the players play in this series, the physical element has been great, brings back memories of pre-lockout hockey. This is how Canadians play hockey!

If the Caps/Flyers game later today plays like Friday's, it will be the best series of the semi-finals.

Actually, not true. A regular season NFL game CAN end in a tie, if after 15 minutes both teams are still tied. In fact, it happened in 2002, between the Steelers and the Falcons, they ended up tying 34-34.

ANYWAY.

Twas good, yes, second game should be another good one. let's hope the Flyers don't collapse like they did in the third.

I'm pulling for the Avs as well, as I usually do anyway, being a Broncosfag afterall :P
