Will be a bigger free agent than McNabb.

My money is on Tampa. Jeff Garcia isn't getting any younger.

And Cassel's style is a lot like Garcia's.

Then in a couple years Tampa beats New England in the superbowl. Epic lulz are had.
>> Anonymous
what about detroit? do they get a decent QB in free agency and draft lineman this year?

nah, lets go for another wide reciever

I really feel sorry for Jeff Garcia. He gets tossed around like a rag doll but does well where ever he seems to end up.

Would make any quarterback look good.

Fuck TO, fuck his team mate Moss.

Welker is the best WR in football right now, period. I'm a die hard boston hater... but I'll give credit where credit is due.

Welker is a system WR. Give me 20 looks and 12 catches a game, I'll put up numbers too.

shaun hill doesn't have good enough arm strength to play in this league, and he is a backup on any contender. They need a veteran to stay the ship while they develop another qb from the draft. Just not our fucking first pick plz McCloughan like round 3 or 4

I agree, I'm a giants fan and he was the only reason that we almost lost in SB. He kept them in the game, cought some lousy passes from bardy and made much from what he got. then brady and moss almost got the fame when giants D got tirred. Almost. Mwhahahaa

Not too hard to accomplish, OP, since McNabb won't be a free agent.

Copycat league will follow the way of the Falcons and draft new blood and throw it out on the field, ton of good quarterbacks should be in this years draft.

Cassel will probably find a home somewhere, I honestly don't know if anyone is going to be willing to invest in McNabb.

Cassel is just proof that any QB can succeed in Belicheat's system and that Brady is incredibly overrated.

Because Daunte Culpepper and Joey Harrington sure looked great throwing to him in 2006, amirite?

Welker is very good, but his insane YAC is due to Moss drawing coverage off downfield. He wasn't near this productive his last season in Miami, because teams weren't double-covering Chambers the moment he got off the bus.

Then again, its also true Moss is helped a little bit on those in routes he runs now - that he never used to run well - because the linebackers and safeties are busy chasing that little Welker asshole all over the field.

Detroit is a terrible place for QBs. QBs need consistent systems and good coaching. Detroit rarely has had the former, and never has had the latter. And they never will so long as the Fords own the team.

Cassel would go down like Tim Couch in Cleveland; flashes of brilliance wasted by the mediocrity all around him, finally ended by accumulation of injury and bad habits.
>> Anonymous
He'll probably get a franchise tag then traded if Brady is ready for the start of next season.
>> Anonymous
Apparently I'm the only one left in NE who hates Cassel. A couple good games doesn't make up for the fact that he's mediocre at best. During yesterday's game the announcers were impressed at how many throws over 10 yards he had. Might as well have said "Prepare to be underwhelmed"

fuck off, gimme back Bledsoe or Flutie before Cassel. Hell I'd even rather see O'Connell in there he looked like he had potential. Not Gutierrez tho

The reason why Welker is so good is because he is #2 to Randy Moss. Randy Moss needs either a godly-tier CB on him or double coverage or he will make big plays, evident by the game against the Fins. Welker, and I think any other good WR, could get open on single coverage when the secondary is entirely focused on stopping Moss get the long yardage pass. Welker is very good, and is the main reason why Cassel is putting up such good numbers lately, but his main key is that he is consistently open and consistently catching balls.

What I find is silly is that everybody talks of the Boldin-Fitzgerald as the best WR combo since slice bread (granted, it has rejuvinated Warner's career) but Welker-Moss, c'mon, seriously. What combo would you rather?

As a Patsfag, I say fuck ya. Yes, Cassel looked ATROCIOUS in the Pre-season and for the first half dozen weeks, but there is no denying that in the past two games he has showed to be a very capable quarterback. He may not be as good as Brady, and we may not be going to the Superbowl with him, but considering we went from arguably a HoF QB to a 3rd year player who hadn't started since high school... kid dun good.

fitzgerald and boldin and 25 and 28 respectively, moss is 32 and welker is 2. Fitzgerald and Boldin are #2 and #6 on the receiving yrds this season, moss is #14 and welker is #9. i think id know who id rather have.
>> Anonymous
>>488437
Moss is 31, Welker is 26. But I agree I'd take Fitz and Boldin over any other current tandem.

If you're a troll then 9/10.
