brb, going to uzbekistan
>> Anonymous
if you really do this, you might be the dumbest black man i've ever heard of

that's saying something
>> Anonymous
I literally know nothing about Uzbekistan, so I can't insult him.
>> Anonymous
After ten years in Spain he's probably got enough money to own Uzbekistan.
>> Anonymous
Uzbekistan is going to give him like a 40 million euro contract over 4 years or something. It's a good deal.
>> Anonymous
>>220010
Yeah, nevermind that there's a fuckload of oil there and it's a megarich country, he could definitely buy it.
>> Anonymous
>>220010

yeah i don't think you realize how XBOX HUEG that country is
>> Anonymous
>>220012
Protip: it's not megarich.
>> Anonymous
He's getting paid fuck loads for 6 months
Good on him i say
>> Anonymous
So is Unicef sponsoring him as a player or a hungry black man?
>> Anonymous
He'll do to Uzbek Oliy League what David Beckham did to the MLS.
>> Anonymous
>>220102
By which you mean nothing?
>> Anonymous
>>220072
Unicef don't sponsor him, they sponsor the team. It's a publicity stunt, most teams make millions from sponsorship deal whereas Barcelona put a charity on there for free. Prior to their they played without a sponsor which is almost completely unheard of.

>>220037

Just because the majority of the citizens aren't megarich does not mean that it's not megarich. The few with the money make up the megarich numbers.

>>220218whereas Barcelona put a charity on there for free

I think Barcelona even has to donate about 1.4mil€/year to Unicef
>> Anonymous
>>220224
I don't know the full details of it so that may be the case but all I know is they definitely don't receive any money from Unicef.

aww, I lol'd. Cute post.

Eto'o has confirmed interest. Will make an announcement tomorrow once he's back in Spain to say whether he's going to sign for Kuruvchi or not.
>> Anonymous
>>220224

The club gives a fixed percentage of it's profits to Unicef and wears the logo to promote them, Unicef don't have to pay Barça anything. This has been the case only since 2006. We didn't have a shirt sponsor before then and at that time there was big money being offered by Bwin and the Beijing Olympics to be the first sponsor to have their name on the shirt - but the fans would have gone apeshit if a commercial sponsor had their logo on the shirt - so Laporta came up with this deal instead.

As long as he leaves and frees up some more spending money for us I don't care where he goes.
>> Anonymous
>>220269
Nobody else wants him and if I'm quite honest I really don't see this happening. Beckham to Galaxy was a completely different kettle of fish. The only possibility I can see happening is if Barca continue to pursue Adebayor and offer Arsenal Eto'o + cash.
>> Anonymous
>>220304

Yeah I think it's unlikely to happen. An deal with Arsenal would be fine though - I actually like Adebayor and I think he could be good for us, not my first choice striker to buy, but not a bad choice.
>> Anonymous
>>220317
Adebayor would be awful in La Liga and I really hope he doesn't go. Barcelona should be looking to a better striker than him for Eto'o's replacement.
>> Anonymous
>>220322

Why, is it because he's big and physical? I don't think that would stop him from succeeding - though I think that Pep is interested in him not to play alongside Henry but as a sub and possible as a game winner in CL matches. We don't have the physicality to compete with English teams in the box and that's where Adebayor would make an impact.

I would prefer Villa or Kun obviously but that wouldn't send the right message to Henry at this moment.
>> Anonymous
>>220333
Is Pep going to stick with 4-3-3 though? Henry + New striker (ie Villa or Kun) is perfectly feasible.
>> Anonymous
>>220342

Well there's a lot of debate about that at the moment. I think he probably will, the thinking is that he will play Henry in the center obviously, Messi on the right and Iniesta on the left. That doesn't really leave room for another out-and-out striker though - Henry and Eto'o didn't work well at all last season.

But who knows, there's still debate over where Keita and Hleb will play. Whether Caceras will replace Marquez in defence or whether Pique will be in the starting XI.

SPOILER: Adebayor is going to go to Milan for somewhere between 22 - 33 Million Euros.

SPOILER 2: Most of Arsenal won't miss him that much except for his goals.
>> Anonymous
>>220390

Who will Arsenal replace him with? Do you think they'll do a swap for Eto'o?
>> Anonymous

Spoiler: Milan bought Gordinho, we dont have money to buy anyone else.

Protip: The deal was a straight up 25mil €. At least 10mil is add ons and clauses.

The deal was 20, the other 5 are clauses.

Milan can't afford another 22-33 million E signing while not playing in the CL...

That Uzbek club played their final game last season in front of 1,000 supporters. Eto'o is a premadona and won't play there.

Barça need a back-up striker, not a crack. They can play Bojan, Henry and Messi in a 4-3-3. I'd definitely take Adebayor over Berbatov, though.
>> Anonymous
>>220478
lrn2Euros. 20 million pounds is not 20mil €. Britain you are not the world.

...

I didnt say it was in pounds.

Bojan will only turn 18 this year, he's still developing as a player and won't be rushed into the first team just yet. Iniesta will move into Ronaldinho's position. So essentially we're only playing with one all out striker.
