No goal... you can complain all you want, but it still won't and didn't count. Flyers could complain all they wanted about the Montreal goal and it still counted... The ref never called it a goal and Toronto couldn't decide. But you're a ref, so I guess you'd know, right?
>> Anonymous
>>96682

Refs don't review goals, you moron.

Letting Briere be raped every minute he's on the ice and then calling him for Interference when Orpik literally picks him up off the ice and tosses him into Fleury? Yeah, that's not poor officiating at all.

When your players are getting mauled without a single whistle, it affects the game, dipshit. When you've built momentum and suddenly you're forced to play shorthanded because of some ticky-tack call drawn by one of their star players, it affects the game.

The refs were nearly arbitrary the entire game. There were better penalties to be called throughout the game for both sides. There was a metric fuckton of goonery from both teams, and the refs wouldn't decide to call all of the infractions or just let them play.

I would, but my vision is too good.

You think this game was bad. In the USA/FINLAND World Game today, the refs let a goal count that went in from the side thru the mesh. Be happy this game was at least still considered sane.
>> Anonymous
>>96739

Granted, that's ridiculous, but it's just rampant in the NHL play-offs this year.

The part that gets me is: the Flyers are earning their penalties, just not for the garbage that's being called and put on record.

No, I think losing Gagne for the season and suddenly being deprived of their top defensive pair for the Conference Finals was enough.

Again, raging in general because my team let themselves get beat again, but taking it out on the less-than-stellar referees who deserve it from Pens and Flyers fanboys alike.
>> Anonymous
Does it matter? Both teams lose to Wings.
>> Anonymous
>>96739

Actuallllly... LeClair did that in a playoff game once with a slap shot. Ripped right through the side of the net, they still let the goal stand. I couldn't tell you what year it was or against who, but it happened. I was shocked they let it stand, but I was glad too.
>> Anonymous
Ok seriously, I know some of you Pens fans will never admit it, but if you got called for the shit call on Briere and the shit call on Hatcher, which was a great defensive play by the way, you'd be pissed as well. Half the calls on the Flyers were a fucking joke and you know it. You can say Flyers fans BAAAAWWWWW all the time, but if those calls happened to your precious Pens and THEY lost, you'd be on here bitching about it too.
>> Anonymous
>>96856

I believe that was a legit goal that tore a hole in the netting.

Eh, Flyersfag here, how can I be sad when the team went from last to playing in the conference finals in exactly one year? It took Pittsburgh half a decade to pull themselves out of the cellar, we did it in one and our young players, much like theirs, will only get better. The entire division is going to be wild next year- Devils, Rangers and the ever-improving Flyers and Penguins? Yeah, it'll be good.

The only lines actually checking the Flyers are the Pens two goon lines. Malkin has been knocked to the ice a dozen times in the last two games, and Crosby still flits away to the circle or point anytime an orange sweater gets near.

You don't give decent analysis though, you give biased bitching and moaning. One doesn't even have to really read your posts to still be able to get the gist of them: PENGUINS GOOD, OTHER STUFF BAD. 2 SOG, -3 and 0 pts. He crumbled like he had been shot when he got a little kiss from Malkin's elbow.

He was diving like a madman in Montreal.

He's a bitch.
>> Anonymous
>>97129
Yes, he is slumping right now. But that has nothing to do with him diving. You go on and on about how we have no "proof or evidence" of Crosby diving (when there are a good dozen youtube vids up already) and then bitch about Briere diving. Well, where's your evidence?
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
>>97141
>when there are a good dozen youtube vids up already

None of which show a compelling dive. The most linked one is when Crosby is a rookie and he is CLEARLY tripped as he goes to the corner.

The whining Flyers call it a dive in an attempt to avoid going a man down. Boo hoo... it failed just like the Flyers so far this series.

Did you watch the Philadelphia-Montreal series? Briere dived twice in one game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKc_OOFQYsg

That one, watch his feet. He literally jumps up and then falls. Yes, that could have been called a hook, but he still went down like a bitch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnlVOP8QkA4

Again, the bitch goes down easy. Hold, sure, nowadays, but when you watch it, Crosby leans backwards and let's the player throw him down. Amazing how someone as strong on the puck as he is goes down so easy with one hand on the shoulder.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLx7NN3WFK0

The first one, you can clearly see that the stick does not even touch his skates. This is exactly what Crosby does every time he runs out of room. He gets as close to the defenseman as possible, and falls backwards. I' even give you credit on the second one, but it was still a garbage penalty.

>>97227
Read the rest of the sentences. A hockey player with heart will do all he can to stay on his feet and keep the play going, an not fall on his ass hoping for a penalty. Why do you think Forsberg and Jagr are both yelling at him to stay on his feet?

There are vids of Avery, Ribeiro, Malone, Vanek, etc. Don't give me that bullshit. Briere is not a diver.

You know what's funny, all I've heard from CB before this series was how the Flyers made it this far on "lucky bounces". All I saw in game 2 was lucky bounces.

Pitts goal 1: "Lucky bounce" shot off a Flyer leg by Crosby.

Pitts goal that should have been a goal: bounced off a Flyer face.

Pitts goal 2: Legit goal off a shitty call.

Pitts goal 3: "Lucky bounce" off the boards and then makes a great pass.

Pitts goal 4: "Lucky bounces" that the Flyer couldn't handle that led to a goal.

You constantly talk about how the Flyers get lucky bounces, but man up and admit it's just part of the game.
