Hawks vs. Lightning in 09 Stanley Cup Mazarin
Holy shit Tampa. They're gonna be the NHL's Celtics. Shit to shine in one summer.

Hawks win @ Defence
Hawks win @ Goalie

Hawks fail @ economics :(

Campbell is going to shine in Chicago.

The first breakout pass from Campbell to Kane is going to require me to change my pants :P

They have to overpay Hossa first :P

They'll get it done or die trying.

I can't believe I am saying this but I am going to have to start watching Hawks games again.

It's obvious that Bill Wirtz's death has obviously been a good thing for this organization. Rocky isn't afraid to spend money and sign players, and won't sell homegrown talent for a measly half-mill. Plus with Pat Foley returning for play-by-play, and they will finally be broadcasting all home games on television.

Jeez, maybe the cup is finally within our grasp this year.

I still watch this video every so often: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEHxmxXDhhM

Even without Hossa they're still a very good team. Hossa will only put them over the top, and the rest of the division for that matter.

The Kings will see you faggots in 2012.

You mean one of these days you're actually going to get a goalie that's more effective than a cardboard cutout of Martin Brodeur?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

did the rangers get lebron? he's gonna tear up the crease!

The Kings are like some kind of weird farm team of players who suck ass together but do well come the trade deadline when its individuals play for different teams.

Well, by that time Jonathan Bernier should be in net for us playing well, and then we'll trade him for some more draft picks to get "younger".

Meeting Goes Well In Edmonton (E4)

"Various sources (2 in Canada, 1 in America, and one actually in Europe) are telling me that the meeting with the Oilers and Hossa's Agent Ritch Winter went very well. Rumoured deal in the 8-9 years 70-80 million range. I have also received more confirmation that the Oilers will look to Jagr if Hossa decides to go elsewhere. The other teams in on Hossa I am told are Pitt, Montreal, and Minnesota."
- Eklund

It's Eklund, so get off the magic pixie dust. THat said, if we sign him for as low as possible... Hot damn.

I know Ek's a douche. He stole all his news today from TSN and Sportsnet.ca

@ one point he had Chicago matching Atlanta's "$8.5 mil/yr offer" for Campbell. I hope for you Oil fans he's full of shit on Hossa's numbers too.

You have to think though that with Canada's dollar on the rise and the salary cap going up it might not look so bad.
