Pac-10 football sucks.

USC is over-rated every single god damn year. And aside from USC, who else does your shitty conference have?

Big Ten > Pac 10

USC, Cal, Oregon, and Arizona State were all rated in the top 10 last year at one point.

Oh, so you're poking fun at the city of Eugene? No shit the chicks in public aren't as hot as those in California, or down south. Hot chicks tend to migrate south after college, but you can't judge a university based on the fatties you see around the city. If you actually attended Oregon, you'd know there's plenty of hot broads roaming campus.
>> Anonymous
>>113186here again

The city of Eugene is a god damn hippie hole, that's why all the hot chicks migrate south after realizing this. You'll never find anyone over 23 that's hotter than the chicks in college, and they're the ones waddling around the city.

You're retarded.

The SEC bullshit has to stop. I've been to an SEC institution and now I go to a larger school in a smaller conference. There are just as many "hot" chicks at each, probably. I'm a Tennessee fan and the worst thing in college sports is the SEC end-all mystique, whether it be chicks or religion or whatever. it's just tired.

Or I can prove how competitive it is and show you the in-conference upsets last year?

Arizona beating Oregon when they were #2?
USC beating Arizona State when they were #4?
Stanford beating USC when they were #1?
Oregon State beating Cal when they were #2?

the Pac-10 is competitive as fuck, so don't laugh in disbelief when you go "lol arizona state?"

GET IT RIGHT DUMB FAG.

WHEN A LOWER-RANKED SEC TEAM BEATS A HIGHER SEED, IT IS COMPETITION.

WHEN A LOWER-RANKED PAC-10 TEAM BEATS A HIGHER SEED, ITS BECAUSE THEY'RE OVERRATED.

BECAUSE I SAID SO.

Kentucky beat LSU. LSU must overrated. Alabama beat Arkansas. Arkansas must be overrated.
>> Anonymous
>>113696
>>113689
The thing is, what>>113663said is true. Teams in the SEC upset other teams because there are no bad teams in the SEC, so nobody can go undefeated because no team is good enough to do so.
In the Pac-10, it's the polar opposite. Upsets happen in the Pac-10 because nobody is good enough to avoid them.

Both conferences don't have good enough teams, but the "good" for the SEC is about 1000 times better than the "good" in the Pac-10. Make sense?
>> Anonymous
Last Year Cal crushed Teneessee, USC destroyed Arkansas 2 years ago, Auburn 4 years ago, Oregon beat Oklahoma, and btw Florida lost to Michigan, lol

Last year Luisiana-Monroe beat Alabama, Alabama beat Arkansas, Arkansas beat LSU. Therefore Luisiana-Monroe > LSU which means Sun Belt > SEC
>> Anonymous
>>113709
wait, what? what proof, other than your own personal opinion, do you have that the upsets in the SEC are derived from top-to-bottom excellence, while upsets in the pac-10 come from mediocrity at the top? there's no proof of this. in fact, the pac-10 as a conference routinely plays the toughest schedule in the country, while the sec plays by far the easiest.

sec teams all play 4 teams from the middle of nowhere in non-conf. they all go 3-1 and 4-0. then they beat up on the crap at the bottom of the league (i don't care if YOU think the teams aren't bad... they are - historically, the bottom of the sec has had almost zero success against REAL teams). that's a guaranteed 7 wins a year against zero competition. then you get a bunch of good (but not great) teams at the top of the SEC all going 2-2, 3-1, and 1-3 against each other, and ZOMG ALL SEC TEAMS ARE GREATEREST.

Frankly, I might even concede yr football cause you are all hicks and that is the only entetainment you have. Then again none of your teams can beat USC.

But the girl comments, srsly. Spend any time on the campuses of ASU, USC or UCLA... I do not care if you just cherry-picked a list that was written an SEC alum.

However, can we agree that the Big 10 has the shittiest football AND ugliest women?

check SOS numbers - for one, pac-10 plays a true round robin, so they have 9 conference games instead of 8 (only 2 SEC teams play 9 games in-conf, the 2 that make it to the championship game). meanwhile, the pac-10 busies itself with other BCS conferences OOC(with plenty of road games), while the SEC won't even go on the road to hammer the directional schools (northwest southeastern central dakota represent).

let me know when the SEC willingly plays a big game outside of the south (no, UCLA does not count this season - they're going to be terrible, losing 25 seniors or so).

>>114814

Listed in terms of percentage of the Conferences' 2008 Schedule:

Versus BCS Opponents
ACC - 52.3
PAC - 45.2
BEast - 43.2
SEC - 33.3
XII - 31.9
BTEN - 31.7

Road Games
BEast - 43.2
PAC - 35.5
ACC - 28.4
SEC - 27.8
XII - 25.5
BTEN - 23.2

Versus "Bowl Teams" of the 2007 season (for what its worth)
PAC - 61.3
ACC - 43.2
XII - 36.2
SEC - 33.3
BEast - 32.4
BTEN - 29.3

Versus FBS (D1A) Opponents (and non-FBS)
PAC - 93.5 (6.5)
BEast - 86.5 (13.5)
XII - 85.1 (14.9)
SEC - 84.4 (15.6)
BTEN - 80.5 (19.5)
ACC - 72.7 (27.3)

Man, those SEC teams really go out of their way to play the best competition.
>> Anonymous
>>114817
why should they go out of conference to play inferior competition? there's a reason teams in the sec always have the strongest strength of schedule without doing much out of conference.

the numbers don't lie and the numbers say the sec plays the hardest schedules. other divisions need to go out of conference because most of their own conferences stink in comparison.

And your point is what exactly? Being included in the top 100 is good enough for most people. Are we arguing sports here or who's universities have the higher prestige in academics? It shouldn't be a surprise that the majority of big football schools aren't exactly the most academically elite.

In other words, your argument is akin to being a straw man.

SEC should trade South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Kentucky for Clemson, Florida State and Miami if it really wants to claim its dominance. Even looks better.

why would the acc make that trade? kick vandy out and give us GA
