I support the tigers.

seriously, how does a team as good as detroit add more firepower this season but fails miserably at scoring runs?

ya' but that was one game, I think they've only been in double digits a couple times. But I've always seen them this year get 1 or 2 runs and lose.

I think our pitching is good, and our bullpen will only get better with zumaya and rodney coming back soon, it's just we can't seem to get those damn runs in. It does seem like we've been coming around lately though. Granderson has been alright so far, polanco is always good for a single, and I've seen Mags come through for us a few times, but cabrera and the rest, idk.

As a Soxsfag, I can honestly say that I can't wait until the Sox and Yankees are both sucking up the bottom of the AL East. Those two always being in the playoffs is HORRIBLE for the sport. It's good in the short term for ticket sales/ratings, but you end up with a ton of bandwagoners wearing throwback jerseys with Garciapara, Williams, Fisk, and Pesky on the back going "lol i love the red sox so much see i have retired players on my jersey lol." Seriously, about 3 or 4 years in the basement should weed some of those fuckers out.

Also, anyone who says they are a Rays fan is now a bandwagon riding cumdumpster.

sad thing is, I don't think they'll ever be at the bottom, ever. Those two have so much money now that they can afford players to keep their teams top of the league contenders. Yankees may not be good now, but you know Steinbrenner is just gonna sink money into top players in the free agent market to make them top of the AL again.

Fuck you faggot

I've been a Crew fan since the late 90s when I was in junior high. Jeromy Burnitz, Scott Podsednik, Richie Sexson, we had all three. And lost all three.

Fuck you Selig you fucking queer. You were commissioner and you didn't want anyone to think you were favoring your team, but the truth was you kept fucking us over every chance you got. Hopefully we can sign Fielder and Hart, and hang on to Billy Hall.

Scott Podsednik wasn't acquired until 2002.

Was that some great loss? I don't seem to remember being very upset about it.

And yes, hang on to Billy Hall. Although Russel the Muscle is raking lately.

Seriously though, how does the 2nd biggest city in the US with one of the biggest budgets for there roster and "die-hard" fans not even fall ass backwards into a title for 100 years, they've had great players and great teams but somehow they just never get it done?

I think its a combination of overpaying for shitty players and the fans, any time the cubs are going down the stretch and have a chance at the playoffs everyone's assholes pucker up around here and the players go bush league.
