So last night I go to bed, Celtics up 20 or so at the end of the 3rd.

I wake up this morning, Celtics up by 6, Lakers scored 41 in the 4th. What the fuck happened? Apparently it was some kind of epic come back, did they ever lead? No tl;dr news articles, give me the /sp/ version of it.

Boston slacked off for 2 or 3 minutes
Lakers went on a 8 point spurt
Boston kind of said oh shit and started playing again]
Lakers still rolling had a couple good defensive plays
Trade a few points Lakers can't miss for 3 or 4 shots
Lakers come within 2
Pierces draws smart foul from Fisher
Pierces blocks Vujaci 3 pointer
Posey shoots free throws game ends

Lakers TEAM made it a game Kobe def stinked it up though

You forgot to credit Pierce for his defensive efforts on Bryant during the Lakers spurt, as well as his horrible turnovers and transition D. The Laker's played good defense? Are you crazy? Boston played shitty keep-away, once again.

How is it that Ray Allen looks like more of a consistent and competent defender than Pierce?

As much of a Boston fan I am, officiating was a joke and so are the Celtics when they obtain double digit leads. If the Lakers find a way to get Pierce on Bryant, 24 may actually get his, since Pierce has the lateral movement of an ox. Pierce isn't a great defender. He has simply played slashers who can't buy a jumpshot.
