Of course the Olympics are biased toward the West. And even with that bias, China is going to lead the Olympics when it ends with the most gold medals and challenge the US in total medals.

Eastern martial arts are NOT sports. TKD and Judo are very special exception because the Japs and Koreans tried very hard to LOL PUT MY MARTIAL ARTS IN THERE AS A SPORT PLEASE.

Find a REAL proper, olympic-worthy eastern sport.

This. Archery is a universal sport. Every fucking peoples in the world has been using bows and arrows ever since they've figured it out.

its physically demanding and its competitive. how is it not a sport?

Funny thing is that Koreans are so good at archery so olympic committee removed all medals for different range. Shooting has medals for 10m, 50m and so on but archery has only one. What the fuck man lol.

If we go with that logic, do you believe boxing is a sports :D?
>> Anonymous
how about buzkashi?
>> Anonymous
>>243666
Boxing is deliberately a competition sport. There's no martial arts called boxing.

>>243653
Martial Arts aren't made for competition. Judo is the sport version of jiu jitsu, for example. You wouldn't have an olympic sport of jiu jitsu because that martial art trains you for REAL combat, as in, to kill your opponent.

Like Kendo, this is probably the only one I would allow because it is a a sport or "fecing" type version of the real deal. But all these others have no place.

they have karate championships so why no Olympic kicking the shit out each other?

I don't get what you are trying to say. You are saying MA is not a sport but you so far gave us 0 reason. Let me give you the DEFINITION of sport.

"Sport is an activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively."

Competitiveness seems to be your core of reasoning. But why can't MA be competitive? If we talk about TKD, if TKD is not competitive enough, why is there ITF and WTF? Those seems competitive enough for me. What exactly is your definition of being competitive? I think you have your own reasoning that seems differ from others.
