Soccerfags, and more specifically ones who watch the EPL, I present to you my Premiership XI without including any players from the "Big Four". Feel free to add your own or criticise the fuck out of mine.

GK: Robert Green
RB: Micah Richards
CB: Jonathan Woodgate
CB: Sylvain Distin
LB: Joleon Lescott
RMF: David Bentley
CMF: Lassana Diarra
CMF: Elano
LMF: Martin Petrov
CF: Roque Santa Cruz
CF: Dimitar Berbatov

I'm not sure who I'd actually have out of Berbatov and Keane actually.

Good call with Edman, I completely forgot about him. I like Lescott as a left back so would probably keep him there though. But who would you have in goal?

Based on league position, there's too many Man City players in your team. I'd go for:

GK: James
RB: Hutton
CB: Jagielka
CB: Woodgate
LB: Richards
RMF: Bentley
CMF: Arteta
CMF: Krancjar/Elano
LMF: Barry
CF: Berbatov
CF: Cahill/Ashton
>> Anonymous
>>86380
Arteta and Kranjcar/Elano would be great going forward but neither of them can defend for shit, wouldn't really work.
>> Anonymous
>>86380
Here, I'm a fan of Pedro Mendes also, but I couldn't fit in another midfielder. Just goes to show the quality outside the top 4.
>> Anonymous
>>86389
thats why nobody can get pissy at americans for following the EPL top teams. they buy the best players, and it's awesome to watch them play.

except manscum. fuck them and double ass fuck ronaldo. and rooney also.

>>86397
Wut? United play better football than Liverpool and Chelsea.
>> Anonymous
>>86397
I agree with that faggot Ronaldo, but I don't have a problem with Rooney, aside for him being overrated. Always have fond memories of him scoring on his debut vs Arsenal for us.

What about this one? Former Barcelona players XI. I had to include top 4 players. Also, no CF lol.

----------------Reina--------------
Belletti--Christanval--Pique--Zenden
Rochemback--Fabregas--Arteta--Merida
------Geovanni----Litmanen (lol)----

a quick (out of place) question for Euro-fags. Is there anything to specifically dislike about Blackburn?
I have my normal America-fag preferences among the top squads, but in an attempt to become more knowledgable about the EPL, I have picked a middle of the road squad to like. I chose Blackburn - mainly because I have liked Roque for a lot of years now. That's all kind of gay, but whatever. Anyway, do I have any reason to hate them, or no?
>> Anonymous
>>86468
Don't have anything against Rovers... except that manure twat they have as a coach.
>> Anonymous
No reason to hate them at all. Blackburn are a great example of small town club that punch well above their weight in the Premiership - and continue to do so year after year (they're also one of the only other clubs to have ever won the EPL title).

They have a relatively small fan base but that's mainly due to not being based in a city and having a ridiculously small catchment area - they're in very close proximity to Manchester, Bolton, Liverpool and Wigan, who obviously all have their own EPL teams.

They're a very well run and managed family club. They don't make a great deal of money, but what they do make they put straight back into the club, spending very wisely on quality players like Friedel, McCarthy, Santa Cruz, Bentley, Samba, Warnock etc etc. They also use a percentage of their TV money to subsidise season tickets to try to attract more fans to the ground - thus making them one of the cheapest teams to watch in the entire EPL.

It's widely accepted that Blackburn are one of the better teams outside of the top 4 and they continually give far bigger and better financed teams a run for their money.

I don't see how anyone can include Micah Richards in any team of the season, big 3 plus Liverpool, or not. He's been injured for a good portion of the season, and his form dipped after his initial good few games at the beginning of the season.
>> Anonymous
>>88580

You mean a team of slow, scouse bastards who go beetroot and cramp up after 10 mins?
>> Anonymous
>>88857

Got to agree. Sure Richards is strong and fairly quick, but his defending is too erratic, he gets too over excited, and his reading of the game is very, very poor.

I'm not surprised at the hype surrounding him, as the English over-hype their players immensely.

lescott sort of sucks balls too.
>> Anonymous

I wouldn't say he was the best outside the top 4, but he's certainly one OF the best. What an under-rated bargain he was for Blackburn.

Took a lot of balls for him to leave Liverpool for regular first-team football. He would certainly have been a better option than Riise at left-back for them this season, had they hung on to him.
