On your second comment about the age, what are you talking about? So, they sign John Lynch and now they're back to being the oldest team in the NFL? Lynch isn't even going to be a 2nd stringer, he's sitting behind Rodney Harrison (who I'll admit is getting up there and isn't nearly as fast as he used to be), James Sanders (was great spelling Rodney last year), and Brandon Meriweather (former 1st round pick out of Miami). Assuming Mayo starts this year the average age of the Patriots defensive starters is 28, not significantly higher than the NFL average.
