Fellow /sp/fags, ITT we grade our team's draft;

New York Giants:
RD1: S Kenny Phillips (Miami-FLA)
RD2: CB Terrell Thomas (USC)
RD3: WR Mario Manningham (Michigan)
RD4: LB Bryan Kehl (BYU)
RD5: LB Jonathan Goff (Vanderbilt)
RD6: QB Andre Woodson (Kentucky)
RD7: DE Robert Henderson (Southern Mississippi)

All our needs (except maybe punter) have been addressed with this draft, and picking up Mario Manningham was a steal in the 3rd round as I personally believe he was one of the top receivers in the draft.

/cle/fag here....love the beau bell pick, I heard some draft experts say he was a 1st rounder. A FUCKING TIGHT EnD?!!? WTF!?!?! I wish they would of gotten tommy blake
if the guy came out last year he would of been a top 10 pick. He didint even get drafted cause of the social anxiety disorder.

C+ i guess A if you count cory williams, quinn, and rogers.

Atl-fag here. Ryan was a good pick, but everybody we picked (including Ryan) seemed to have notable downsides. I just dunno how good we did. But all the teams I checked (the 5 or six I really like) seemed to have done the same. Was this just not a good crop of players to choose from?

The fags at NFL.com are just too damn nice. No team got under a C+ community grade for the draft.

i fucking loved the giants picks too

That's mostly because no one made any truly boneheaded moves this year. Even the Lions and the Jets seemed to know approximately what they were doing.

Anyway, as a Patsfag I am pleased that we heavily addressed the LB and CB situations, even if we skimmed over our lack of safety depth.

I had heard of neither Jerod Mayo nor Shawn Crable (some Wolverinefag I am) prior to the draft but I have heard non-Patsfags claim to like both of them, so that's good.

The two things I dislike are not drafting a corner over 5'10" and grabbing a QB in the third when Brady's not even 31 yet.

Overall, 8/10 I guess.

Jagfag here. I loved the pickups at defensive end in rounds 1 & 2 (Derrick Harvey & Quentin Groves). I'm not sold on LB Thomas Williams from USC. Trae Williams is pretty good at DB, but comes from a smaller school. And the RB they took in the seventh is basically a longshot for special teams.

I'll give 'em a B+.

Cassell is out, Guiterrez & O'Connell are the backups I guarantee it

The fag that made it was terrible at Photoshop.

As a Patsfag (since '95), I couldn't help but laugh though.

?/10

I did not want to go the Matt Ryan/Sam Baker route, rather the Glenn Dorsey/Joe Flacco-Brohm-Henne but whatever. I cannot rate until I see Ryan in action. I also think we took too many linebackers. We need some help on the D-Line and secondary seeing as we lost Meanglo.

>>78997
I liked Dorsey too.
But they needed a QB and got one.
They needed a OT and got one.
They needed a MLB and got one.
They needed a CB and got two.
Harry Douglas and Thomas DeCoud were good picks in round 3.
I agree the OLB's weren't needed. Also, I think they should've gotten a TE earlier.
I have to say they did well filling most of the holes on the team.
I give it 8.5/10

Bears: B
Great first few rounds.
Shitty 5th round.
Solid 7th round.

The grade on the Eagles draft is yet to be seen.

I agree on their 2 second round picks, being that they needed another DT and a KR/WR.. but i think the jury is going to remain out until at least training camp. I KNOW they got that second first round back for next year for a reason to be dealt. Carolina isn't that good so the Birds are looking to have a 9-14 next year. Johnson or Boldin anyone?

San diego Chargers:

1. Antoine Cason B+ (replacing Drayton Florence possibly)
3. Jacob Hester B (I thought Norv's system doesn't use FB that often so this was kind of surprise)
5. Marcus Thomas B (apparently, he's a between-the-block runner so I think this could work out)
6. Dejuan Tribble C (great, another CB? Unless they want to convert him to safety I dunno why they picked him).
7. Corey Clark C (yes, they filled the need for OG but this late?)

overall: B

jags fag here too,
I really like the aggressive nature of our draft this year and both the de's we picked up are pretty solid in my opinion. We may have given up a little too much for harvey but we will see how things pan out. Otherwise i'm happy del rio is trying to get the D back into shape.

a lot of people are looking down on the jags draft because they think they should have traded for Jason Taylor and not given up all those picks for Harvey.

STEELERS (live in pittsburgh)

1.Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois: good ultility guy and couldn't pass him up
2.Limas Sweed, WR, Texas: big ben got his big wide reciever but i dont sweed is a number 1 reciever
3.Bruce Davis, OLB, UCLA: more depth at linebacker but stupid pick overall
4.Tony Hills, OT, Texas: need linemn desperately and hes got size and potential
5.Dennis Dixon, QB, Oregon: my favorite pick we should convert him to a kick/punt returner ad possibly a good receiver
6.Mike Humpal (OLB–Iowa) and Ryan Mundy (S/CB–West Virgina): we could picked boht up in free agency but mundy is slower but special temas guy and humpal is just more depth
