The Mountain West is the 4th-best conference in football. I say this because the Pac-10 is currently 0-5 against them. Therefore,
1. SEC
2. Big XII
3. Big 10
4. Mountain West
5. Pac-10
6-8. Big East, ACC, Conference USA... who cares
>> Anonymous
you must be forgetting this past week when USC killed the Buckeyes.
switch Big 10 and Pac-10 and that list will be legit.

the one problem with your argument is that the mountain west is obscure is hell, & not that many people know about except if you live in the far west & second most obscure is the big 10 the only 2 teams they would know about are penn state & ohio, but thee acc & the sec are known everywhere so here's the new list 1 sec 2 acc 3 big XII 4 everybody else

Shut up.

This is ridiculous. It's SEC, Pac-10, Big 12, and it doesn't matter after that. If you don't live on the west coast you will surely disagree, but let's be fucking honest and think shit through.

Utah, BYU, and TCU vs. USC

MWC wins.

Because Washington, Arizona State, UCLA really well represented the conference on a national scale, right?

If not for a bullshit call WASHINGTON would have beat BYU. Michigan is awful so the Utah point is moot, and who the fuck has TCU played to show that they're decent? Oregon and Oregon State are good, Stanford is better than it has been and so is Washington. UCLA and CAL are awful, but look at the bottom half of the MWC. You fail.
>> Anonymous
>>339526
The "bullshit call" you're talking about ENDED UP BLOCKED ENDED UP BLOCKED ENDED UP BLOCKED

AS IN, THE 5 YARD PENALTY DIDN'T PREVENT THE GUY FROM HITTING THE FG SO MUCH AS IT WAS BYU
>> Anonymous
Utah BYU and TCU could hang in any of the major conferences, otherwise the rest of the MWC sucks major dick. I have no idea how Baylor got into the big 12 and TCU didn't... The only reason he has the Pac-10 below the Big 10 is because Arizona State was upset by a UNLV team that got blown out last week at Utah and Cal just lost too... this week the Pac-10 went 3-7!!! ROFLMAO MWC > Pac-10
>> Anonymous
>>339526
Oregon almost lost to LOL PURDUE. Stanford got curbstomped by TCU. Washington is decent and got beat by BYU. Pac-10 has yet to beat the MWC.
>> Anonymous
>>339487
USC = the only good team
Cal = lol Maryland
UCLA = lol BYU
Arizona State = lol UNLV
Arizona = lol New Mexico
Oregon = almost lol Purdue
Oregon State = lol Penn State
Stanford = lol TCU
Washington = lol Oklahoma
Washington State = fucking lol Baylor

Ohio State and Michigan may be failures now, but overall the Big 10 is way better than the Pac 10.

When you are backed up 15 yards(not 5) you must change the trajectory of your kick, though he SHOULD have made it anyway, he didn't. And you're really going to try to tell me that was a legitimate "excessive celebration? call?

In my opinion Pac 10< ACC and Big East, Assuming Oregon is the #2 in the Pac 10 name one conference that has a number 2 that Oregon could beat... i don't think you can
>> Anonymous
>>339555
Eh, even after all of that, chances were BYU would've won in overtime. Probably by blocking a FG just like how they blocked that PAT.
>> Anonymous
>>339561
The harder question is who is the #2 in the Big East and ACC?
>> Anonymous
>>339552
Because Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, and Purdue are all fucking powerhouses.

As are Air Force, Colorado State, New Mexico, Wyoming, and SDSU. AMIRITE?
>> Anonymous
>>339570
New Mexico is a better team than whatever insignificant Pac-10 team they beat.

And watch out for Air Force.

I would say the Big East #2 is WVU and the ACC #2 is North Carolina which is my dark horse for a BCS bowl this year they can whoop on anybody with their recieving core.

1. SEC

>>339590
Oregon blows out WVU and has a close game with NC, I think.
>> Anonymous
>>339596
Because changing the trajectory of a fucking kick couldn't make the ball leave the foot lower and make it easier to block now would it?
>> Anonymous

15 yards out?! Oh bull fucking shit. I say give BYU the game because Washington can't hit a chip shot.

theres no way Oregon blows out WVU but i was wrong about Big East #2 could Oregon beat Uconn? they're 3-0 right now
>> Anonymous
>>339613
Obviously this argument is pointless as no one is going to change their opinion, the big picture is that the Pac-10 vs MVC, if every team in each conference played every team in the other conference, the PAC-10 would destroy.
>> Anonymous
>>339620
That Hofstra, Temple, UVA schedule is pretty rough, you're right.
>> Anonymous
LOL no way the Pac 10 whoops every other conference... the fuckin Pac-10 is 0 and 5 against MWC... Oregon and USC are the only teams that fare well against other conferences.

I don't meet many pac-10 fans in SoCal who take kindly to either AZ team, and as a former Lobo who now lives in LA I support them whipping their asses.

Seriously though, pac-10 sucks overall, but USC will fucking DEMOLISH everybody this year.

EVERYBODY.

That is until they lose to Notre Dame or some fucking lame shit at home. However I do feel that may be less likely this year with Sanchez instead Booty I'm thinkin.

in 10 years the MWC will be the best conference in both Basketball and Football, since they got the Vs. TV deal and their own MTN network and stoped playing those awful awful late-late 9pm local time games just to be seen on ESPN the conference has turned things around for the better.

Big 12 teams TCU has beaten in the past few seasons
Baylor, Texas Tech, Iowa State (the last year they were good), 0U. Their defense is always nasty good and they have a solid running game.
Seriously, take BYU, Utah, TCU, Fresno, Boise, Tulsa, Arkansas State, Troy and you have a league that's more deserving of a BCS bid than the ACC or Big East just about every year, realistically.

That WAC team was looking for a "feather-in-hat" type win and that could have come against a top ten team like Wisconsin. In fact, Fresno State WAS FAVORED IN THE GAME.

And yet the Badgers still won. Their starting QB went down with a thigh injury, and THEY STILL WON.

Baylor was brought into the Big 12 for the sole purpose of raising the conference's overall grade average and graduation rate.

- ECU
- Troy

Half right. Boring Big 12 formation story incoming!
Big Eight wanted Texas and Texas A&M from the SWC, were considering trying to poach Arkansas and LSU from the SEC (It makes less sense now, but A&M and LSU had a pretty decent rivalry) to make their super conference. Texas governor Kate Richards, a Baylor alum, mandated to the Big 8 that if they wanted A&M and Texas they had to take Baylor and Texas Tech as well. Since Arkansas and LSU were moot points without their natural rivals, plans for them were dropped to let in Baylor and Tech, totally boning the remaining SWC schools. Kind of sad that TCU has more national championships than nine of the Big 12 teams combined.
tl;dr: Texas Governor Baylor-Grad demands Big 12 takes Baylor, TCU screwed over.
