>two scrawny messicans rabbit-punching each other for 40 minutes? Hell fucking yes.

WTF was up with that split decision?

Marquez went down in the third and that judge still put him 3 points ahead at the end of the 12th?

Good fight.

I can still hear the spics BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

wacky, close decision too. Definitely interested in a rematch but given what Top Rank wants to do with Pac's sched that may take years too.

Would someone care to explain to me why this is 'not a sport'? Heard it spouted several times, starting to suspect it's the same person.

I'm not 274 but I'll take a stab at it... because nobody wants to watch two skinny mexicans in a pillow fight, and the heavyweights are all FIXED FIXED FIXED

Nevermind the trolls this was a classic fight and another close one. Probably wont happen, but they need to do it again. Need to rewatch it and score it myself, but I came away with the impression that JMM took it.

That gash that grew from that headbutt was horrendous! Marquez was really close. Good counter punching in the first few rounds, until he was floored. I think that one knockdown really stayed with the judges. In the long run Marquez did his best and even managed to stun Pacquiao a few times, but there was really nothing solid in the end for Marquez to cement a win. Pacquiao just kept going.

Without this we would have had another draw on the cards.

There are more weight divisions then super featherweight and heavyweight. And even if that wasn't the case, why would those reasons mdisqualify boxing from being a sport?
>> Anonymous
>>36332

In a sport, the winner must always be determined through quantifiable means; whether that's a number of points, a better time, etc. If you don't get a KO, the winner is determined my a subjective means; judges' scoring.
>> Anonymous
>>36339

In which case I'd refer you to Olympic boxing, where the number of landed punches determines a winner. I'm aware this isn't Olympic boxing, but it still goes against the statement 'boxing isn't a sport'.
>> Anonymous
>>36358

I would also say that half the things in the Olympics aren't really sports.

Pacman is going up in weight. There will be no rematch.

I find it ironic that Pacquiao knocked Marquez down three times in Round ONE of their first fight and got a draw, yet this time he knocks him down once, for the rest of the fight its the same battle as the last one yet he wins but their first fight is a draw. lolwut?

Rice niggers... stfu JMM should've won. And I'm not baaaaawwwwwww.
