I think being 1 of 24 players to ever hit 500 HRs would automatically get you into the HOF

<-- Not this guy.

But what do you guys think his chances are, assuming he stays healthy and plays for another 6 or so seasons? He would finish with around 2700 hits.

with all his hits and career batting ave., I think he's good to go

Wise choice. ;)

Not to be ignorant, but would he even be eligible? I'm not sure if there is a rule against non-American born players not being able to get into the HoV.
>> Metsfag !!ytVXCtVqcVc

Nevermind, I'm stupid. I forgot that there are players in the HoV that were born in different countries, like Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, etc. etc..

Puerto Rico isn't a different country.

There is absolutely zero evidence that Rose betted against his own team. FYAD troll.

Ichiro is in. Jeter. Not because he is an all time great, but because the media loves him. Pujols probably. Thome will make it. I think Soriano has the numbers right now to make it. And how bout some football? LT for sure. Brady no doubt. Manning also. Moss belongs there based on his numbers.
>> Anonymous
>>139893
He bet on the outcome of baseball games. That is cheating.

If what he did wasn't bad, then why is he banned from the hall?
>> Anonymous
>>139892
Actually, most of Puerto Rico wants it to remain a commonwealth because their citizens are not taxed by the US Government at present, but can still vote and whatnot.
>> Anonymous
>>139903
Ichiro and Pujols haven't played the requisite 10 years to get in. Pujols will no doubt make it if he doesn't get badly injured / broken. Ichiro I'm not so sure. He started too late to have the career totals that some voters will be looking for (3000 hits, etc).

aaron rodgers will blow tremendously, but only ryan grant and the packers defense will keep the packers with a winning season, and brett favre will come out of retirement to lead them to the superbowl, only to lose to the chargers. you heard it here first.

>> Anonymous

>> Anonymous
ok let's assume the ravens even have a winning season. The best I'm gonna give them is 9-7. 10-6 might be pushing it. Now look at their division. The Bengals might go 7-9 and even 8-8, but then you got the Browns and Steelers. No one can deny the Browns will do good this season. Not only that, you got the AFC South, which Colts will most likely, with Jacksonville and Titans going at it, which Chargers will win, and Broncos most likely getting a decent record, hell, even Chiefs might pull some shit since their turning themselves around. The Ravens chances of getting a wild card are slim.
>> Anonymous
>>140642
If the Ravens won't get a wild card, I'll write an essay on why they should just stop playing football altogether.
>> Anonymous
>>140642
forgot to add AFC West before talking about chargers, broncos and chiefs.
>> Anonymous
>>140642
What are you talking about? Raiders is going to win the AFC throwing those JaMac bombs to Javon Walker.
>> Anonymous
I do feel like the Raiders have a shot at doing really good this season, playoffs maybe.
>> Anonymous
>>140644
they could, but they're in a tough division, with teams in the South and West being able to get the wild card bid as well. hell even the bengals could possibly do better, I mean they have the offense and have done good before with a shit defense, though I don't think it's likely they'll do better than the ravens, but it's possible.
>> Anonymous
>>140651

You joking? They still have shit all at the offensive line and they added a 50% boom/bust at receiver in Javon Walker. DMC could be good, but I doubt he'll have a Peterson style year with the current state of the Oakland offense. On top of all of that they have a pretty tough schedule.

My prediction is 6-10 through 8-8.
>> Anonymous
>>140651
the raiders could very well do good too. they have a really good young defense, and one of the top rushing teams in the league, with McFadden giving them even more firepower. the key's gonna lie with their new project QB whether they go far or not.
>> Anonymous
>>140655
I said playoffs MAYBE. But they do have shot at over .500.
>> Anonymous
>>140659
It's gonna be hard for them, but I think they do have a shot at 8-8 or 9-7. It just all depends on how Russell pans out. But I believe McFadden will have an AP-like year just because he's on one of the top rushing teams in the league. He's in a perfect situation. A really good, rush-blocking line but bad pass-block, it's just gonna come down to how well Russell plays.
