War dances like the Haka and Kailao before sporting games. Yay or nay?I know a few American Football teams have picked it up, and the Hawaii Warriors have made their own after a year or 2 of using the Haka.Pic related because the Haka is fucking awesome. All Blacks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd0kDxP04eIAll Blacks vs. Tongo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOWy1vHrpxoHawaii: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pCZ5RkhJkY
It always looks pretty cool, and gets morale sky high for the team and fans before a game.
The Hawaiian one is pretty decent, but the Original Haka is the best. The All Blacks are using a new chant now. I'm not sure which one I like better, the original or the new one.
The Kiwis do the Haka, the Aussies do the Sledge
>>96793In a 1989 game the Irish team linked arms and walked into the middle of the Haka. Took some balls.

>>96794The Irish team are thugs though.
I always love watching the Haka, but I didn't know any other nations did it until today and I certainly didn't expect it to be picked up in the US.That Hawaiian one is pretty good.
I'm not really a fan of the haka. I mean, it's a neat idea, and a sweet dance, but it needs to be the haka OR a national anthem. Not both.
>>97176Then they should do the Haka instead, because it's just that much cooler.
