Don't worry, I'm sure that *plenty* of high-profile talent gets drafted in the third round.

Detroit's roster would like a word with OP.

Stupid stupid STUPID move by the Lightning though, even when the contracts drops to 4.5mil a season it's still overpaying him like crazy.

No price is too high to dismantle Pittsburgh's roster one player at a time.

Haha, they're probably getting Brian Rolston too who is a much better player than Malone but will be criminally underpaid.

It's called front loading contracts, and it is very smart for teams trying to rebuild. This means that most of their salary is dumped onto the first couple years, and while the team grows after the first couple seasons, they get more room in the salary cap.

Just think, the Flyers did this with Briere and Richards. After this season, and especially the one after, they're going to have quite a bit of cap room to play with, while still having the same players.

No it doesnt you idiot, frontloading doesnt affect salary cap at all. The cap hit is the average salary for the entire lenght of the contract. Briere got paid $10m last season but his cap hit was only $6.5m.
Learn the CBA before you act like a smartass, I'm an eurofag and even I know this
