I love football in any form, but college is superior:
- more intense rivalries - more passionate fans - appealing collegiate atmosphere (coeds, bands, student sections, etc) - every game truly matters - crazier offenses than in the pros - less bullshit drama (NFL = ref controversy, TO diva antics, players arrested every 2 seconds, etc) - my team is in the top 5, reigning Heisman QB, won title year before last, and plays in best conference - players truly care about their team and don't get traded back and forth constantly - more games each week
The NFL is technically played at a higher level but that often makes for uglier and less entertaining games (though not always, of course). Plus, I don't personally care about any pro teams 1/1000000th as much as my own college team, which is also where I live and go to school.
And yes, college football needs a 4 or 8 team playoff worked into the bowls.
