Well in OP's defense, that guy DOES pitch in the National League...
>> Anonymous
being in the NL also means extra health risks batting and being on the basepaths
>> Red Machine D !h1LZxECEVA
The Diamondbacks have the following:

*The best one-two punch in the majors (Webb and Haren)
*A resurgent and remulleted Randy Johnson
*The best batter among pitchers in the majors (Micah Owings)
*Some of the best young talent in the majors (Justin Upton, Mark Reynolds)
*MLB and Sporting News Manager of the Year (Bob Melvin)
*The best record in the majors this month

30 wins. It'll happen.

And he does it in the superior league - facing Boston twice, Toronto, Chicago and Cleveland. Webb does it against the SF Giants.

lol

taiwanfag here, and even i can never be that optimistic

to win 30 now you need a great outing and/or great run support EVERY start. no one has even won 27 for the past 18 years, and the last two times anyone won 30 was 40 years ago and 70 years ago.
>> Anonymous
nowadays, getting to 20 wins is a rarity so 30 is impossible.

30 wins.

It'll happen.
>> Anonymous
I might happen if he only had to pitch in the NL. But there's inter-league play, so the most he'll win is around 28.

yeah I know. I'm actually a NL fan. I just get sick of all this faggots posting shit like "oh he'll win 30 games, IN THE NL LOL" like the AL is king shit of fuck mountain
>> Anonymous
Fuck yeah NL you guys have the class of the league I mean just look at the Central the Reds, the Pirates, the Cubs. Fuck yeah man. AL is way overrated with the Yankees, Sox, Tigers, etc. Man you guys sure are right about everything seriously.

zomg compare three worst to three best
you are so cool
>> Anonymous
>>80038
i think the point was that there isn't a single pitcher in the al that would transfer over and win 30 games in the nl and vice versa. historically the al is superior but that doesn't change the fact that winning 30 games in either league is an extraordinary accomplishment.
also what the fuck no one is going to win 30 games anyway everyone shut up

>three best
>Tigers
>> Anonymous
Oh man you guys all got me. I'm sorry I'll stop being sarcastic but seriously I agree the NL is so far superior look at the depth comparison of NL to AL it's obvious who it favors. Oh wait :(
>> Anonymous
>>80050
look who has the best record in the league. OH WAIT ARIZONA IS ONLY PLAYING NL TEAMS. the numbers don't go both ways huh? how about you shut the fuck up until the playoffs
>> Anonymous
>>80055
When the AL wins again? K.
>> Anonymous
>>80057
maybe they will but you're a dumbass talking about depth of a league a month into the season. not to mention depth means shit when only 4 teams get into the playoffs. also that's exactly what everyone said in 06
>> Anonymous
>>80060
Defending the shittier league is honorable, but seriously if you think the NL is actually better, or even equal to the AL, you're an idiot.
>> Anonymous
>>80064
i don't understand this. better? what does that mean? do i think boston or new york will win the world series this year? no. detroit? no. Do i think that if the two leagues played a round robin style tournament then the al would come out with more wins? yeah sure but that doesn't mean anything. all it takes is one great team in the nl to come along and the al's shit is ruined. or in the case of 06 one mediocre team beating the living shit out of one of the best teams in the al
>> Anonymous
>>80077
What? One team from the NL winning the WS doesn't make the NL better than the AL. NY won the Super Bowl, but you won't find anyone anywhere arguing the NFC is superior to the AFC. You're still an idiot.
>> Anonymous
>>80081
no dipshit the point is being "superior" doesn't mean anything if you don't win the championship. it's just a useless title
