It's Cleveland's year this year.

They were a great team last year, and many players (Westbrook, Hafner, Lee, Sowers) had off years, and no one really broke out and had a career year. This year, they lose NO ONE, and Westbrook and Lee are back, and Hafner should find his swing.

Best pitching in Baseball to combat against Detroit's monster offense (but shat pitching).

Face it, Indians are shoe ins this year.

Detroit is by far the best team in the American League. It's not even close.

Indians will be fighting it out with the losers of the AL East for the wildcard.

Enjoy your not having the pitching to get out of the first round of the playoffs. Who's in your bullpen? Zumaya is pretty stud-like, too bad he ruined his career being a fucking idiot.

I believe this hitting wise, but do they have enough pitching? Behind Verlander and in the bullpen up to and including todd jones, i think it's iffy. Reminds me of the Yankees from like 2002-2006ish, alotta hitting, not much pitching to back it up. (2007 it was A-Rod or bust much of the season).

Spoilers - Tigers don't make the playoffs. Yanks get Wildcard, Indians get division.

Enjoy more failure since your farm system is totally exhausted.

Verlander/Bonderman not good enough pitching?

Also Willis might come good. At least he'll eat a lot of innings.

and Blue Jays win the East.

ITT, Tigersfags in denial.

You're the Rangers of last decade, THIS decade.

Verlander/Bonderman = Good
Willis = Over-rated, prone to injuries, didn't even too well in the NL.

People are more iffy on the non-existent Bullpen. And Sabathia/Carmona is better than Verlander/Bonderman, everyone sees that. Westbrook is better than Willis. Plus, if there are injuries in Detroit in the rotation, they are FUCKED since they traded Jurrgens or w/e. Indians have 2 or 3 pitchers with MLB exp (Sowers, Laffey, Elarton*).

*Maybe.

Hafner continues to really get fucked up by the shift.

You know, I was going to say Detroit has a better shot at this division, but it really is between the Indians and the Tigers, and I can't decide which one.

Just feel secure in knowing that none of the other teams have a shot in hell, and you've got a 50% shot of being right, OP.

Not that it matters, as whichever team wins won't win the ALDS, but that's irrelevant.

What the score now guys?

Everyone hates Borowski, especially in Cleveland. Masa should close games out.

Have fun blowing another 3-1 LCS lead this fall.

I came to celebrate Cleveland's win today and to my surprise I find this thread!

>>50277
Borowaki needs to go. You can never feel safe with him in there, even with a three point lead. It's ridiculous. After watching him today I hope I don't have to see this kind of performance all year long.

Franklin Gutierrez is my man. I expect great things from him this coming season.

Detroit is stacked offensively, but teams like that rarely do well, as no one wants to step up.

Also, Dontrelle Willies posted 5+ ERA two straight season in the National League. He sucks.

Indians win the division, maybe Tigers get the Wildcard.

MAYBE

You guys bashing on Borowski: How many games have you seen him blow? Sure he's nerve-wracking, but he gets the job done consistently.

I think you're confusing Borowski and Jose Mesa

On a semi-related topic, I love Bruce Drennan, more specifically how he has people call in then tells them that they're wrong no matter what they say.

This is Cleveland's last shot. After they lose C.C this year they're finished.

>With his game-winning, three-run home run off Cleveland's Joe Borowski on Thursday, Rodriguez boarded the Yankees' charter flight to Boston as the first player in American League history to homer 10 times in his club's first 14 games.

If you take out that encounter with A-Rod, and 2 other blown saves, his ERA is under 3.

And if the ALCS was a 5 game series, the indians wouldve advanced.

Kinda funny what you can do with "what if's"

They need to get rid of Wedge. What a tool.

Oh yeah, that.

>>50476

You could also go back to the Indians/Mariners game where the game was one strike away from counting and they called it because of snow, if they had let them play and the Indians had gotten one more strike they would have had the best record in the AL, therefore would have had home field advantage against the Red Sox. Who knows what would have happened then?

Man I hate the Red Sox.
