I'd take Pop over Phil any day.

Phil's "Zen" style of coaching is really getting stale.

Barry and Ginobli were out.

Enjoy it while it last Lakersfags. Your team won't last in the playoffs without Bynum.

Fuck regular season games. We'll see what happens when the playoffs get here.

the lakers' record has not wavered at all. gasol > bynum, thats why they got him after bynum went down. they are playing better than they were earlier in the year before he got hurt, honestly the only team that i see beating the lakers is the celtics.

Ariza and Bynum were out.

Enjoy the fail Spursfags. Your team is as old as ever and poised for a decline.

Hornets are fake as hell. Whoever gets the seventh seed (Mavs) will kill them.

I think the Hornets can at least make it to the second round, but I don't think they can get to the WCF. Even though they're solid on both ends of the floor, everything falls on Chris Paul when they have the ball. Hornets have good complimentary pieces for their starting lineup, but aside from West no one else can create their own shot. Defensively they don't foul a lot and they don't often leave shooters open, but their defense is average when they're forced to foul against a high octane offense.

If they get to the second round, it looks like they would meet someone like Utah/Houston/Phoenix. I think The Hornets can take either one of those bitches. If the WC was broken down into 4 tiers, New Orleans falls into the seond tier (behind L.A. and SAn Antonio).

lakers spurs

hornets suns

rockets jazz (no yao; no road, third tier)

mavs nugs warriors

arguments possible and welcome.
>> Anonymous
You just can't put tiers when all 8 playoff teams are so close in the standings. It would make more sense to do that for the East because there's an obvious difference. At best I can only say GSW and Denver is a level below everyone else.

i think the suns, rockets, and jazz could all be in the 2nd level, and the hornets could replace the spurs, since they look old and tired, especially with that game today.

It's obvious here too. I'm not gonna' sit here and say that the Warriors and Nuggets can compete with the Spurs and Lakers. THAT'S BULLSHIT! Despite their close records, there is a diffrence.

The Jazz are good, but not San Antonio good. And it could be argued that Portland is just as good as any 4th tier team.

That's exsactly how I visioned that list. thank you.
