/sp/ sup. I play fantasy football ( inb4 american padball etc), and it has come to my attention that, like most teams now, the Dolphins are stepping up to a double back situation, which isn't great for fantasy players. I'm interested in /sp/'s opinion on which one would be a finess and which one would be a power back, they both have a similar weight and I don't see either as a pure power. I'm mostly looking for which one would see the end-zone more obviously, which right now I think would be Ronnie.

I know they played together in 05, and I think Ricky was pretty slim back then still since coming back into the NFL.

If you're going to get a RB on your fantasy team, don't look for teams that go double-back. You'r eonly crippling yourself. Look for a full-timer. Not only that, look at something that isn't Miami Dolphin related.

Not that he's going to get his hands on L.T. unless he has first pick, but yeah, something like that.

I concur with>>136969

You should avoid situations with two backs. Just use your first pick to go after a great feature back like LT or at least one in a better two back situation like Adrian Peterson.

Surprise, Ronnie was the NFL's leading rusher last season before he was injured. Just because the Dolphins have a bad year doesn't mean every aspect of their team is shit, they came to within 3 points of winning half their games. Without Ricky, Ronnie is easily a first round draft choice for RB, if not a second.

But obviously if better options are available I'll take them. It just depends on my initial place in the draft. Last year I had first, I doubt I'll be lucky enough to have it again.

You failed to mention Ronnie Brown only played 7 games before he got injured. Someone was bound to pass him in yards even if he stayed healthy. Also, fantasy football is for faggots.

It's not like he didn't already share them.

Ronnie had an amazing first half before he got injured. But if the Dolphins are going two back, he'll most likely get the bulk of the carries and TD's. But you'd like to avoid players part of a two-back system, unless they're really good and/or get loads of TD's, i.e. Adrian Peterson, MB3, etc.

But the best options would be to go for LT, Larry Johnson, and Steven Jackson if you can

You forgot to mention 7 weeks is nearly half the season, holding a lead at least that far into the season is notable. Regardless if he didn't finish first, he'd end up near the top. He's a very good back.

I'll have to agree with obviouspost, but I'd consider a few other alternatives before Larry Johnson.

I think Larry will be fine. After missing all training camp and preseason, starting the season fresh, he will obviously not be that effective, not to mention the chiefs played against some good run d teams. After the o-line got comfortable, he ran well midway through the season, most notably running all over the chargers. The chiefs fixed up their line this offseason by getting some good players in the draft, so honestly I see nothing but good coming out of LJ's performance this year, if he stays healthy. If all goes well, I think he'll be a top 3 runningback again.
