are there any rules in the Olympics that prevent athletes from competing in different sports?

And how realistic is it for someone to win individual medals in different sports categories? How awesome would it be if some godly athlete came around and won a medal in archery, shooting, swimming, diving, gymnastics, and cycling all in one Olympics.

I doubt there are any rules preventing it, but it'd be pretty hard especially if two events are being held at the same time, you know?
Not everyone can run 88 mph like Usain Bolt

See...if Shawn Johnson and Michael Phelps had a baby and then Usain Bolt and Stephanie Brown Trafton had a baby...and if by some form of a miracle those two babies met...and fucked! Then that baby would win Gold in Swimming, Gymnastics, Track and Field events.

Eddie Eagan won gold in boxing in the 1920 Summer Games and won gold in Four Man Bobsled in the 1932 Winter Games. Clara Hughes won bronze in cycling in 96 and gold in speed skating in 2006. Christa Luding won silver in cycling in 88 and gold in speed skating in 84 and 88. Tulla Thams won gold in ski jumping in 24 and silver in sailing in 36.

Those are the most extreme examples. There are others, like Ben Adams who competed in both the long jump and baseball, etc., or Australian diver Alex Croak who is also on their gymnastics team.
