I figured they were eliminated. But what is that actual stat in the column titled "E#"?
>> Anonymous
The elimination number is just the sum of losses by that team and wins by the team in first place that will result in the trailing team becoming ineligible for the playoffs.

Example: Tampa needs to win 12 or Baltimore to lose 12, or any combination of the two, for the Orioles to drop from contention.

Not too sure, but it might be the magic number of losses toward elimination. Example: at current pace, if Texas lost 13 straight games and The rest of the West won 13, then Texas is eliminated.

It is losses by the trailing team or wins by the leading team that will lower the elimination number.

Also, it's worth noting that the Nationals are in the lead for 1st round pick, by 1.5 games ahead of the m's. Seattle's trying their best though, it will be a close race to the end.

More Yuniesky and Cairo in the 2-hole!

Man why couldn't Seattle trade Ichiro at the deadline to a contender. I'd like to see the number he could put up on a good team and in the postseason
