That'd be a terrible move for the Yankees.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they did it.

Yankees Acquire Pudge
With Jorge Posada out, the Yankees have been hunting for catching help. They got it Wednesday afternoon when they acquired Ivan Rodriguez from the Detroit Tigers, according to ESPN the Magazine's Buster Olney.

WELCOME PUDGE :)
>> ? !dT4dK6Mjo6!!yKJ
They got rid of Kyle Farnsworth.

Farnsworthless is gone
>> Anonymous
Lmao all they had to give back was Kyle Farnsworth.

Oh.
Gee...
I...don't think this was a good move for New York. Pudge is still alright offensively but defensively he's not the catcher he used to be. Unless they want him to DH or something.

YES! FARNSWORTH IS GONE!

I LOVE YOU BRIAN CASHMAN

All they had to give up was their worst reliever.

I actually think this is a decent move. My question though...what about the Yankees bullpen? I'm assuming they will acquire someone else.
>> .
Why do this DETRIOT, WHY!?!?!
>> Feraligatr !VJOf9vVc0E

I guess if Farnsworth was the cost it's okay...
>> Anonymous
>>225166

They're probably going to be working on Demaso Marte or Edwar Ramirez to be their setup

Ramirez has a nasty change-up.

>>225166

Kyle was a weak link anyways for them, I highly doubt their gonna have to go out and aquire someone to replace them, probably can just go into the farm if they really need to.

If Farnsworth were traded to the NL, then Jeremy Affeldt would probably jump him during a brawl as revenge for 2006.

Also: Home/Away splits -

HOME: .319 / .860
AWAY: .275 / .671

I guess we'll see.

ah, ok. i don't follow the yankees too much, but i was under the impression that farnsworth got better. i guess not lol. thanks for the info.

Another old guy going to New York. Man is New York getting older by the second.

They'll probably bring back up LaTroy Hawkins. They sent him down when they got Marte.

nothing of value

A guy who knows how to fight.

Sheffield and Farnsworth make the Tigers a team not to fuck with. Next time they get blown out, the other team best watch the fuck out.
>> Anonymous
well, i used to like pudge, even though he played for detroit. now he's just a stupid spic that plays for the yankees. fucking nigger
>> Anonymous
>>225166

Bruney should be coming back soon, and he was on fire earlier this year.
>> Anonymous
THANK YOU NEW YORK~!
Fucking, Pudge has been a cancer the last two years or so. He is awful in the clutch. I like Inge a whole lot better both Offensively and Defensively. I've been waiting a long time to get rid of this guy, it's just too bad we had to take Farnsworth to do it. Although, Farnsworth wasn't terrible when he was here last time.

Who's the GM of the Tigers? Him and Retardi (GM of the Jays) must meet sometime.
>> Anonymous
>>225204
Dave Dombrowski. If I remember correctly he lead us to a world series not to long ago, and helped the Marlins win a world series as well. I think he knew Pudge was as big a liability as the rest of us Detroit fans.

cashmoney does it again :)

More like Farnsworthless amirite? Tigers got ripped off.
>> Anonymous
>>225212
It's still a pretty bad deal.
>> Anonymous
>>225195

They can even have Kenny Rogers punching reporters afterwards too.
>> Anonymous
>>225212

Pudge was a big part of both of those teams lest you forget.
>> Anonymous
he's one of the greatest catchers ever. if you're going to trade him, at least get something better than farnsworthless
>> Anonymous
I guess Pudge wasn't going to resign.
>> Anonymous
>>225259
Or maybe he'll resign for the Tigers in the offseason.

Reaction from Farnsworth over going to Detroit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmrrO0YjSes (No Rick Roll, srsly)

So Dombrowski knows better than anyone how much of a choke Pudge has been the last few seasons.
