No Huddle No Problem Anonymous
In case you haven't watched Oklahoma yet this year, watch the game this weekend if you can against Washington. The hurry up offense of Oklahoma is amazing. OU is full of hybrid players on offense. DeMarco Murray, Jermaine Greshman, Brody Eldridge, Matt Clapp, etc. Their skill positions can basically line up wherever. Add in Sam Bradford, sophomore, who is just as comfortable taking snaps under center or shotgun. Also add in their dominant offensive line that dropped weight this off season in preparation for the no huddle. Shit is amazing.

I think you are going to be hard pressed to find any other offense currently in college football who can match up against this. One play OU lines up in an I-formation, next play they are in an empty backfield with five receivers, and then next play they are in double tight end. All of these dramatically different formations with the same personnel, no subs. You know what this means?

No subs for the defense either. Defenses can't react fast enough and are stuck with a guessing game. This means the defense has to choose a package for the entire drive, rather than just a play. 10 of OU's 15 touchdowns so far this year have taken 2:40 or less to complete. Despite the hurry up offense, they are only at 37th nationally in time of possession.

OU fan or not, as a football fan you owe it to yourself to watch this powerhouse. As long as OU's special teams, which seems to be the weak link, doesn't choke. Expect to see this team in January undefeated.

britfag here, sounds cool. so why don't nfl teams do this?

playbooks are generally too big for it to be effective and in college you can get away with alot just by having better athletes than the team you're playing.

The skill gap between NFL players and college players is pretty wide. The worst NFL team would beat the best college team easily. So some plays that work in college football wouldn't have the same outcome in the NFL.

The no huddle is used in the NFL, but only when time is running low. OU is using the no huddle throughout the game because of the new 40 second play clock and to run more plays in today's world of spread offenses.

Without a doubt. 26-3 win over Miami is pretty pathetic, considering it was @ Florida. Florida's defense is getting enough to handle Oklahoma's offense. I'm not saying that Florida wouldn't put some points up, but I'd rather take OU's defense against Florida's offense than Florida's defense against OU's offense. Special teams, I'd rather have Florida. And like I said, if anything is going to stop the Sooners this year, it'll be that.

Wow typo, I meant "Flordia's offense isn't good enough to handle Oklahoma's offense".

Should of seen the OU Cincinnati game. Cincinnati tried the statue of liberty like Boise State did. Didn't work so well.

I would love to see OU make it to a bowl game, and get beat in overtime by the fumblerooski.

I'm not a BSU fag, I just enjoyed it immensely seeing OU lose. Much like everyone else watching the game who didn't live in Oklahoma or go to college there.

Hi there. Remember me?

In 1 min and 40 seconds into the 1st quarter against CIN, OU scored using the hurry up driving 88 yards in 6 plays. If anyone saw that, it was nothing short of amazing. I dunno about u but i sure as hell wouldnt want to be playing against OU anywhere.

They have had a great regular season record and bowl appearances including 2 BCS tittle games but their bowl record isnt too great.

BSU pulled off the imposible and i applaude them for that. But that type of thing rarely happens. I am nothing but impressed with them so far.

It would be great to see them in a BCS tittle game again against OSU, Florida, Georgia, or even USC again. Something tells me that they wouldnt let the National Championship slip by them this time. But i want to see how they fair against Texas before i say anything else.

I'm expecting this to be an epic game. We have quite the amazing offense too, with a future top draft pick QB. Get ready for a shootout.

What time is it in Norman?
35 to 7.

Remember when we beat you twice en route to a National Championship? Good times, good times.

p.s. I'm looking at K State's site and I can't find the last time they won a football national championship. When was that again?

I don't know, but I remember a Heisman trophy winner getting his ass kicked so bad, he flinched everytime the center snapped him the ball. And embarrassing the "Greatest college football team ever"

and yet you still didn't prevent them from going to the NC game. All you manage to do was injure Jason White's throwing hand.

So...congrats on your achievement?

FUCK YEAH OU

Sounds wike someone needs a hug? Man its gonna be so awesome when OU makes another BCS bowl and gets their ass whooped again. How can one team choke so much on their biggest game of the year? Because that team is Oklahoma thats why...

Yeah the achievement was a Big 12 title at your expense. Oklahoma's 18-1 pre-Boise State

I like Kstate in the upset, softening them up for Mizzou and Kansas.

The Oklahoma Football Template
-Go undefeated into late November
-Lose next to last game to conference bottom feeder
-Play Aloha Bowl and win big as nobody cares

LOOK OUT! BOISE STATE'S RUNNING A REVERSE!!

watch out, it's the dreaded HOOK AND LATERAL

Actually I'm not really a fag for any team in college, I only watch at the end of the season and during the bowl games. Any other time college football mostly bores me. I just don't find games like Ohio State vs Youngstown State exciting.
