Superest Super Bowl or Superest Super Super Bowl?

I still can't believe they let the Giants win. How does that happen?

See, you got it all wrong there, pal. The Giants won all on their own. Giants prepared properly. And they didn't even have to videotape anyone.

18-1 is the greatest fail to have ever happened

The Yankees blowing a 3-0 series lead and having 4 games to shut the door and failing is the greatest fail ever.

Fix'd

A bunch of other teams already blew 3-0 series leads so it really is nothing that special since it already happened multiple times before. 18-1, now thats something.

Except that was the first time it had ever happened. Fail.

hadn't happened in baseball before numbnuts. just as 18-1 never happened in football. wakka wakka wakka

>>35411

It happened in other sports with 7 game playoff series, who the fuck cares if it was the first time it ever happened in baseball? The very fact that it already happened doesn't make it as "epic" because it wasn't the first time it happened in professional sports. 18-1 on the other hand is different because 1 NFL game = 10 baseball games, for a team to go undefeated only to lose the last game if fucking epic failure.

Yankees choked against their biggest rivals.
Pats didn't blow their record against the Colts.

Actually blowing a 3-0 lead in a playoff series happened twice long ago ... but that's in hockey ...

Yes because when a Boston team loses to a New York team it doesn't count as a rivalry even though the fans hate each others guts.

what makes 18-1 stand out from any other championship is that it went down as the most epic and memorable championship in the modern era of sports.

people (ie. everyone) remember games like that similar to how ali vs foreman is remembered. nobody gives a shit about yankees vs boston except diehard boston and ny fans.

18-1 was on a whole nother level.

Exactly. Die-hards of both city will see that 3-0 reverse as a bigger event, as it lifted the curse of failure over Boston.
