Hahahaha! Boston and New York failed!

I voted for New York. I mean, I hate the Yankees and I don't care about the Giants and Jets, but I think it deserves to be called Titletown.
>> Anonymous
Being a DETfag, I voted for Detroit, but god damn, how in the hell did a small hick town in the middle of nowhere beat out every other town?

Because of their HS Football Championships.
Because HS Football Championships > NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL championships combined

What a fucking JOKE.

Internet votes are fucking useless.

The fucking internet thought Prawn Haul was a good presidential candidate for fuck's sake.

Does this mean Titletown is over and that particular brand of faggotry will no longer fuck up my morning television viewing?

This is Titletown. Fuck ESPN and fuck their bullshit contest. This has been Titletown since 1963.

While filming in Green Bay, a fan brought a sign behind the sportscenter anchors that read "Maybe we should vote who the Worldwide Leader in Sports is too?"

I don't care if the Superbowl trophy is named after your coach, 3 titles in 41 years is not a titletown.
>> Anonymous
What? Cause they have a ton of State Championships? Shit, my High School had 110 so why aren't they on there.

Because it's a HIGHSCHOOL.

Fuck you ESPN. It was suspicious enough when you delayed the winner, which makes me believe the ballots were stuffed and you saw this and let it win anyways...

Steelers - 5 Super Bowl Wins
Cowboys - 5 Super Bowl Wins
49ers - 5 Super Bowl Wins
-------------------------------------------
Where's the Packers up there, lol?
-------------------------------------------
Giants - 3 Super Bowl Wins
Redskins - 3 Super Bowl Wins
Raiders - 3 Super Bowl Wins
Patriots - 3 Super Bowl Wins
Packers - 3 Super Bowl Wins

So 3 have more than you, and 4 an equal amount? Titletown being Green Bay = 100% Retarded.

Yea, it should be three equal, but I must throw the Patriots an 18'' by 1'' bone for once.

you aren't getting what i'm saying. Green Bay Wisconsin has been referred to as "Titletown" since the Vince Lombardi teams of the 1960s as well as the glory days of the 20s, 30s, early 40s, and 90s. Also fuck your super bowls. They have an NFL record 12 NFL championships.
>> Anonymous
valdosta = failtown, usa
>> Anonymous
ESPN put a Titletown name on an already old discussion, and you shits who participated in it fell for it.
>> Anonymous
What a joke, a city like New York, Detroit or Boston should have won, each have scattered championships across multiple sports, and great franchise players coming from their teams.

Some shitty little HS football town that has a fraction of the population of a big city is fail.
>> Anonymous
ESPN - insulting your intelligence since, well, forever.

I say this retardedness is par for the course.

This is GEORGIA... and in the South.... Football is everything... and not just College... high school is MONSTEROUS as well. We get out to support our own.. thats why Valdosta won.

This. Hell, Boston would be 20 times more annoying if they had won it and I still would have preferred that to this.
>> Anonymous
someone needs to let ESPN know that there are hundreds of high school football teams that are state champions. hell, my high school had eight championships in various sports while i was there, ST. JOHN'S HIGH SCHOOL IS TITLESCHOOL, USA
>> Anonymous
"This is GEORGIA... and in the South.... Football is everything... and not just College... high school is MONSTEROUS as well. We get out to support our own.. thats why Valdosta won."

Too bad its not education, bunch of retards ballot stuffing that bullshit town. You cant possibly declare yourself the best highschool football team in the nation because teams never leave their fucking state. So how the hell can you say Georgia high school football is better than anyone else's football?
>> UZ !kHzD4It5Tc
>>223396
wait wut. So you deserve to win Titletown because you can win occasionally at the only sport you're good at?

Does that city... no, does that STATE have any other sports? It's ESPN, not EFPN.

a high school WOW HOLY SHIT so much better than an nfl dynasty, a couple WS wins, and a nba title..

boston may be annoying but it has the goods
>> Anonymous

Yeah and once those teams start losing again, they'll be off the bandwagon.
>> Anonymous
>>223580

Yeah, I've started to notice the sheer amt. of airtime given to football on ESPN...and its not even good stuff to talk about. Back in march I remember turning it on to see the "coors 5 cold hard questions" or some other bullshit promotion. It's starting to ruin the game for me...and yes, NFL live is year round (what a surprise).

I'm going to admit...I'm a Yanksfag, but I do think that ESPN overglorifies the rivalry. They seriously need to stop. I can't imagine how sucky ESPN must seem when you get to hear talk about your team for maybe 90 secs. of airtime a day when you live in seatlle, san deigo, minnesota, etc.

fuck espn, really.
>> Anonymous
But is doesn't even matter what sport it is, if ESPN starts talking about a certain event over and over again it gets pretty annoying. Like right now, ESPN is nut hugging on the whole Brett Farve situation, it was okay for the first 2 days but now it's fucking ridiculous.
>> Anonymous
>>223883

agreed. They interrupted some big game (I forgot what It was) to tell us some menial detail about the Farve saga.
