I am Joe Mauer and I'm going to be a Yankee when I grow up. Or hit free agency.

You must be a yankeefag, or just a fucking moron.

You think the Twins can keep him? He's going to make $200,000,000 on the open market.
>> Anonymous
He just signed another 4-year contract, so the Twins have him at least until 2011.

The Twins are his home team, he's expressed he wants to be there a million fucking times and guess what?

According to this season, he's got a better chance of winning a pennant in Minnesota than there.

He's a Minnesotafag. Plus he has a soul.

He isn't gonna play for the Yankees.

The Twins have a better chance than the Yankees of winning the WS next year.

Posada's contract ends in 2011, and the Red Sox are keeping the door open by pussyfooting with Veritek. Face it, money talks, and somebody is going to pay for Mauer's late 30's years with a fat contract.

He's going to be 29 at the end of his contract fucktard.

If he wanted to leave, he wouldn't have resigned last year. He's on a team that has nothing but young potential for years to come and is playing in his home state.

Surely you're either high or just jerking yourself off.

Mauer is signed through 2010. The Yanks have lower level catching prospects I can live with Posada sucking balls behind the plate until one of those guys are ready.

And by 2011, all those young players are going to be hitting late arbitration years, and going to be fucking expensive. Do you really think Mauer will go though another rebuilding phase when he's 29? Especially when a team like the Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox, would be looking for premier starting catching? Hell, throw in the Dodgers, Cubs, and Braves while you're at it because all those catchers are going to hit FA around the same time. Its going to be a situation that at least 5 or 6 teams want Mauer badly enough that they'll go crazy. It'll be like the C.C. situation this year, he's clearly is the best pitcher, and the 3 or 4 teams that can afford him are going to go nuts after him. Same with Mauer. Mauer is simply not going to be a Twin in 2012.
