I am from England and I follow the Mets.
On my vacation to America I am going to the the mets AAA team at salt lake.
What should I expect entertainment wise, will it be just as entertaining as mlb?

The Mets have very few fans in New York, I can't imagine anyone going to see the AAA Mets, let alone Utah mormans.

You will be the only one there, and there will be no alcohol because its morman country

Minor league teams fight more often and their managers are fucking nuts, maybe you'll get lucky be entertained by a huge brawl

The good thing is that everything is less expensive.

You lost me there.

Am I really the first to notice that the Mets don't have a team in Salt Lake? Their AAA team is in New Orleans and before that was in Norfolk. The Salt Lake Bees are apparently the AAA affiliate of the Angels.

also, lol:

I went to a Buffalo Sabres/Toledo Mud Hens game recently (AAA) and it was pretty kickass. Minor league ball has more of a sport feel to it, whereas the Majors are more of a form of entertainment like movies. It depends how much you're into the game, I guess.

I saw the Dayton Dragons last season win a game 18 to something. Forget the other teams score, but it wasn't in the double digits. It was very fun, crowd interaction was good and I got some dudes autograph postgame. I'd recommend going to a minor league game over a major league game, much better atmosphere.

Minor league games are awesome. I go see 2-3 Lakewood Blueclaw games and usually 1 Charleston River Dog game ever year, and the environment is awesome. They cater to the fans more with makes it awesome, and you get a more down to earth feel.

It will be ok in entertainment, only as good as mlb if you follow the actual team, but it will be fairly entertaining.

I'm not that guy, but how is it a waste of time? If he likes baseball then for him it is fun. I used to watch my college team play and it is just fun watching the game being played reasonable well.

yea minor league games are a lot of fun. cheap seats that are close to the action, cheap beer, intimate stadiums. Like a major league game without tight ass security.

Go Dodgers (and 51s?)
