also, if those same players were born today, they could take advantage of advances in nutrition, weight training, etc. not to mention you have thirty years of tape to look at and build on those moves. do you think if dominique wilkins were born today and entered the dunk contest, he would do the same dunks he did back then?
on the flip side, today's players have a LOT more distractions than in the past, so ex-players who partied a lot might be adversely affected by being born today.
again, i refer to the einstein analogy. your high school physics teacher knows more about the universe than albert einstein and isaac newton. that doesn't make hin a better scientist.
