Alright /sp/

Now as a true Raider fan, and watching the last few seasons, ive come to realize that EVERY year is our year to come back...and we seemingly always fuck it up somehow.

last year was jamarcus russell, our one and only savior. this year its THE DEFENSIVE BACKFIELD FROM HELL ITSELF, and A TRAINING CAMPED JAMARCUS, and DMAC and all this shit, but im looking at the preseason and im like

fuck, why do we still after 5 years looks so damn sloppy? we are always the best team "on paper" but it doesnt cut it anymore. given we have made progress but not much.

so my question to you is...

what is the missing piece of the Raider organization?

the other question i pose is...

Is it all al davis' fault?

Davis belongs in Genesis's "Land of Confusion" music video.

alright, let me pose a more detailed question now.

WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING?

is it really just him being batshit senile? His control freak antics?

i know im probably answering all my own questions but i would like some in depth or some insight on this.

also, remember when Aaron Brooks was supposed to save us too?

It's Al Davis' fault. As long as he is alive, the Raiders will fail.

Don't overthink it.

Hey I'm Al Davis, did I mention I like the Raiders?

he never dies
he like this guy
someone has to throw him off a fucking cliff for him to die
>> Anonymous
>>304216
He doesn't know how to build a team, so he keeps retooling it every few years ruining team chemistry.
>> Anonymous
>>304216
He's always been one of the most actively involved owners in the league, which makes sense, since he was a coach and in the front office.

The league changed, he didn't. Shit that worked in 1975 don't work any more. But he's the king of the Raiders, so he gets what he wants, even though he's totally wrong.

That...is why you fail.

Take heart, Davis can't possibly live for ten more years. Meanwhile, the Bidwills are apparently immortal.

fuck...

so the consensus is that i have to wait for him to die in order for the raiders to become great again...or hell, make a playoff run every other season.

Al Davis is one of the most hated guy in the NFL, but definately one of the most respected and i wouldnt ever wish him to die, but i want to see my raiders win.

its like, would you sacrifice your master in order to get more wins?

and im guessing im kind of alluding to a jesus reference but hell if he dies, and hes ressurected and we start winning again, im good with that too

Fucking question: Why the FUCK would hire a fucking 30 year old coach?

i would guess to off balance the

-ness of the raiders

he's old, kiffs young = success?

frankly i think kiffin should get more control. cause he actually expresses that hes pissed off at the production

The only thing about Al that surprises me is that he doesn't call the plays. Yet.

at least he's not being an irritating douchebag, despite being a gayder fan. No need to sage the thread.

This coming from a Bronco supporter.

>>304262

i dont see how this makes me a bad fan to want my team to win like it did YEARS before i was even born.

in all seriousness, I, along with most of the Raider Nation are tired of losing, and aren't afraid to say so to anybody. But the same people still wear the Raider gear on sundays, put the magnets and stickers on their cars.

Just be patient, grasshopper.

Oh, and start rooting for Al to die. There's no other way. He'll never step aside and he'll never relax his stranglehold on the team until he's decomposing (well, decomposing more).

This team was in the superbowl not too long ago. They can get back there with Al Davis as owner.
>> Anonymous
i hope al davis finds the fucking fountain of youth cause as long as he's in charge of the raiders they will keep losing. fuck silver and black

>fuck, why do we still after 5 years looks so damn sloppy?

You really want an answer? Here's the answer.

Callahan, Turner, Shell and Kiffin. How many coaches is that? In how many years? Hey Al, look at the other teams that have has success. They tend to keep their coaches more than 1-2 years at a time. God dammit Al.

Al was like "Pete Carrol said no?!? Well get me someone, anyone from USC. I don't give a Fuck who it is."

Al's nuts, love him to death but the man is a fucking loon, he's gotta go off to the back and let someone else take control of the team.

He's impatient but he's not nuts. He's impatient because he knows he's going to die soon.

Not that much younger than Gruden and Madden were when they were hired.

"In 2007, Davis sold a minority stake in the Raiders for $150 million and said that he would not retire until he wins two more Super Bowls."

Nobody has said that about the raiders since the 70s, don't know what yocal local newspaper you pulled it from. Your team never has talent, it has talent prospects that don't pan out. You haven't had a worthwhile QB in years and Russell doesn't look like he has the mental ability to change that.

When the Raiders had Randy Moss they were expected to have one of the top offenses in the league.

ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EEEVIL,

TRANSFORM THIS DECAYING FROM INTO AL DAVIS, THE EVER LIVING!!!
>> Anonymous
>>305093
By who? Oakland residents? Nobody deems an unproven offense one of the best in the league unless they are trying to create hype or they have home team vision. Moss is a moot point when nobody can get him the ball.
>> Anonymous
>it has talent prospects that don't pan out.

thats exactly the point a-hole. It was said, trust me, ive watched pretty much every Raider game since i could remember watching TV.
>> tom
we didnt draft Usain Bolt

thats why
>> Anonymous
>>305170
haha, bustin out the 'a-hole.' you said raiders were expected to have one of the top offenses in the league last year, i'm just saying you're the only one who expected that.
>> Anonymous
>>305223

where did i say we were gonna have the top offense?
>> Anonymous
>>305100
A lot of pundits said they would have a good offense. It was because the offense had been decent the year before with Kerry Collins at quarterback and Jerry Porter and Ronald Curry at wide receiver. It was thought the Moss would put them over the top but I think the offense actually regressed.
