Runs scored *isn't* a meaningful statistic. Runs scored per inning is a meaningful statistic. Since that statistic is nearly impossible to find, we'll have to use runs per at-bat, which is a poor alternative given that one variable almost inevitably influences the other. But it's more accurate because teams that have a lot of HOME WINS hit in fewer innings than teams that don't. Every home win, unless won in a walkoff, has only 8 innings of at-bats. So here is your accurate statistics for runs per at-bat, calculated before tonight's games.
