I got my player's card yesterday. I will be attending 11:00pm - 2:30am Friday night co-ed open play, and possibly 10:00-1:00am Saturday night, also co-ed open play.

It's not a really serious thing for me, I just need the exercise, and I enjoy playing soccer, even though I'm pretty much at a beginner level.

What kind of shoes should I get? I don't want to get 80 dollar shoes. 20-30 bucks is my budget for shoes. Just regular athletic shoes are ok, they don't have to be indoor soccer shoes.

Incorrect. I played Under-14 as a libero for two years. Also, I played two years of HS football as a linebacker and baseball up through high school. As an authority on sport: SOCCER SUCKS. SAGE.

Don't take what tripfags say seriously. There is a saying on the internets, what came first the douchebag or the tripcode?

As far as shoes, I say stay out of brand and don't go to a sports store to get them. Seriously a true sports store usually picks everything up in price like woah, you can get the same thing for cheaper in a department shop. Fit is the most important thing when making sure your shoe doesn't fall apart. Your foot will slide in a loose shoe as you run, making you kick the toe with every step.

I'm guessing you're playing indoor since you sort of mentioned it. I always played in adidas samba's which also make excellent everyday shoes. They've been around for damn near ever and often go on sale.
