Maybe. SEC has started inter-conference play, and the Big 12 hasn't. So we'll see.

Dude. Conference USA has a 5-0 team. Flip 9/10.

having SMU in your conference drops it at least 4 spots

Not when the head coach went to a BCS bowl a year ago.

They're in a grace period.

quick thing fisked. C-USA > way better than Big we cannot count. If I finessed the ranking one choice changed #4 is #9 and everyone else moves up a slot. The only thing that the big 10 can hold onto, prolly better than Sun Belt. But they would be tested but they are too chicken to do so.

/sp/ doesn't realize how pitiful they are, june isn't going to get any recruits, here is an example there is an undersized guard who has been offered a full ride to SMU and he has turned it down to wait for anyone else. june jones will win no recruiting battles because of the perception of SMU. talented high school players in texas are recruited so hard by better schools some of which include, oklahoma, texas, LSU, oklahoma state, texas a&m, texas tech, TCU, Arkansas, and Baylor. SMU will probably win another 5 games in the next 3 years

Yes. Yes that is the perception. Know what will change that perception? WINNING.

It worked in Hawaii. It worked for VANDY. Give it time. Dude.

WAC is definitely better than you guys give it credit.

Know what Hawaii and Vandy have? Tropical location and academic reputation.

What does SMU have? Christian Methodism? A cool pony as a logo?

I have a personal soft spot for the WAC, but I think /sp/ is generally correct based on the conference's horrible imbalance. Considering both their current and past conference affiliations in recent times, only Boise State, Fresno State, and Hawai'i can even remotely be taken seriously. If one is generous, Louisiana Tech and Nevada could be called "respectable," but only because they generally avoid being listed in the Bottom 10. The remainder of the WAC is Idaho (giggle), New Mexico State (LOL), San Jose State (snort), and Utah State (BWAHAHAHAHA).

As it stands right now, only three WAC teams have a winning record (Broncos, Wolf Pack, Spartans). In those teams' wins, only Boise State has a victory over a BCS conference team (Oregon), and each of those three had to dip down once into the FCS (I-AA) ranks for a notch in the W column (BSU over Idaho State, UNR over Grambling State, and SJSU over UC Davis).

Yeah, I'd love to see the WAC listed over the ACC and even the Pac-10 without it being nothing but a lulzy troll. But, the facts just don't back it up (facts, in MY /sp/?).

The MAC is at the bottom? I'm pretty sure the MAC has a team in the top 25 and has knocked off several BCS teams this year.
