If I was Miami I would just to pass the first pick. No player in this draft is worth that much money. Hell, if I was in the top 15, I would just pass the pick. Just really fuck things up, because the money these unproven players are getting is just ridiculous. The draft seriously needs to be fixed.

Pic is Joe Flacco, the best quarterback in this draft but won't be drafted until the second round because the teams are run by idiots.

Agreed 100%, especially about Flacco

I think you mean the second best QB in the draft

Joe Flacco is going to be a star because he's shown he can decipher NFL style defenses. Sure, he might not be the tallest, fastest, or strongest thrower of this year's quarterbacks, but with a little hard work in the weight room and some seasoning he could easily turn into another Josh McCown or Patrick Ramsey.

I don't think Paul Smith is anybody's idea of #1 QB in this or any draft.

Good college player though.

Deleware woot go flacco.

Josh Johnson and Joe Flacco will be the best two QBs in this draft. Truth.

I am also a dolphins fan. I think we should take chris long first then pick up maybe brohm from louisville in the second. Spend the rest of it trying to find some kind of defense.

Theres so much work to do its almost like building a team from scratch.

Brohm will be an Average QB at best. Only QBs Miami should be looking at are Ryan, Flacco, and MAYBE(Extra Maybe) Henne.

I'm not sure what NFL tool he lacks

Arm strength: Check
Accuracy: Check
Mobility in pocket: Check
QB Savvy: Check

He doesn't have "optimal" size, but 6'1" is passable and size is ridiculously overrated by scouts anyway. He has the skills and intangibles, but a handful of inches and pounds is the difference between him being a first day pick and a late second day pick.

Brohm did the best he could on a team that didn't have a defense.

But he is accurate strong and quick on his feet.

Brohm has some tools, but Ryan won't be around for the second round. Flacco could be good and Henne is a great pure thrower but I don't have a good feeling hes the guy you want in the big game.

Arm Strength: Average at best
Can't handle the rush.
No accuracy on the deep ball.
Played in a wide open system.
Forces some things.
Didn't play against great Competition and looked like crap at the E-W Game.

Not exactly an inch away from being a first day pick...

The problem with Brohm besides the durability issues(Which are Serious and Real) is that he played in Petrino/Kragthorpe's system that really pumps up your stats and he threw a ton of picks in THAT system. I'm unsure he can make NFL Throws.

Judging from your assessment you've never seen him play more than one or maybe two games, if ever at all. He has shown great arm strength and great accuracy on deep passes, and he only played one year in the HUNH, which he adjusted to quite well.

He does force some things, but it's generally only when his team gets down and something has to be done. He played on a team with a crappy defense, so sometimes a hole was dug too deep to escape from.

As for competition, Conference USA is not a great conference, but you could say the same thing about a great deal of recent quarterbacks in the NFL from even weaker conferences.

Also, I said inchES. The difference between 6'1" and 6'2" to scouts isn't much, but the difference in where you're picked between 6'1" and 6'5" is huge.

he actually have the strongest arm out of the top 5 qbs predicted to be picked.
