Look, Ryan Howard is the MVP dipshits. I'll give a couple reasons why he is.

1. HE HAD THE BEST SEPTEMBER FOR A PLAYOFF TEAM SINCE THEY INVENTED THE AWARD.

2. HE WAS ALSO IN THE NL ALL YEAR. Manny was with the Dodgers for only 2 months, CC was there for only 3 months.

3. Games don't count in April except in the Standings, sept just mean so much more.

4. The leadership he provides, people criticize Howard, and they in essence he takes the brunt of the blame for the rest of the team. Look, nobody talks about Utley struggles or when Rollins is horrible? You know why? Because everyone notices how much Ryan Howard struggles when he isn't hitting home runs because the guy has no doubles power. The local papers would much rather write about the dumb infield shift that teams put on Howard instead of how Utley was hurt. Isn't the MVP a guy who carries his team? Well Howard takes the hit every day he's not hitting home runs in the press. That's leadership.

5. The MVP is not a post season award. Okay, okay. Howard's not producing in the playoffs, I know the list of people who have post season HRs include Rollins, Utley, Stairs, Manny, Loney, Martin. But that's besides the point, teams aren't pitching to Howard, they're just not. Oh, people can point to the fact that Howard doesn't have a IBB, and Loney actually does but that's more because the fact Charlie Manuel is the most retarded manager in the major leagues, and why the fuck would you walk James Loney? He's not in Howard's league with all the singles he picks up. That opposing teams keep on putting the shift on Howard shows how much they respect him. Not the amount of walks he has.

6. The defense Howard provides. Yeah, that right. He won the MVP in 06 despite his horrible defense. Now he's an adequate 1st baseman, so defense should be a plus in any MVP candidate.

7. PUJOLS COULDN'T PITCH. Basically, Pujols didn't do enough to be MVP. If he just learned how to pitch, his team might have gone to the playoffs, instead, Howard's Phillies are because of the quality of Howard's left arm. Pujols, you want to earn another MVP, you're going to learn how to pitch. Pure and Simple.

There, 7 reasons why the MVP is Ryan Howard. Sorry Pujols, you just don't pitch.

Troll, Pujols deserves MVP every year unless he either A) retires or B) doesn't play more than 120 games in a year.

Some more reasons why Ryan Howard is the MVP.

8. Look, who else is it? Nobody offered as much value to as Ryan Howard could to the Phillies. Not Prince Fielder, who only had 35 homers, not Pujols who had 34 homers. Not Travis Ishiwaka who had only 3 homers for the Giants. Not even Matt Stairs, who had two home runs for the Phillies when we traded for him. COMPARE THAT TO THE 48 HOMERS RYAN HOWARD HIT. THAT'S VALUE. That's only 40 homers more than anyone else, never mind that because of Ryan Howard's huge girth he's never getting doubles and triples. Who cares that everyone else is going to score 40 doubles when Ryan Howard will get his 48 homers. So what he if only gets 5 doubles a year. His value is in his home run bat.

9. He's a proven run producer. That's right, people point to his low OBP, but you know what? He is the King of the Sac fly. The guy has true warning track power and only a few in the game can honestly say that 100 of his RBIs came via the the sac fly, and the other 66 came from his home runs. You can't blame the guy for exploiting the rules like Ryan Howard does via the sac fly RBI. When you have warning track power you use it. Chicks dig the long ball after all, and guys will pat you on the back for doing something that any baseball player can do. Ryan Howard just does it 100+ times a year.

9. Its written in the Baseball bylaws that a Philly must win the MVP, and that Philly player must be black. It was a collectively bargained issue between the MLBPA and the Owners. Why they did this, I have no idea. But with Utley being white, and Rollins being uppity with his front runner comments, its Ryan Howard's turn again. Who else should they give it to? Wiggner Brett Myers?
