The Dodgers are going to make a huge push for him, because they like Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooe pitchers.
>> Anonymous
There is no way he doesn't get a ton of shit on a major leauge team.
>> anonymous
good god, what a perfect trap

Yu Darvish wants to have sex with men.
>> Anonymous
>>213714

I doubt Darvish will be going to Boston. We already two overrated Japanese dudes.

Matsuzaka has 9 wins, a 2.84 ERA, and a .203 BAA.
In other words, LOL WUT?
>> Anonymous
>>213922

he's an inefficient piece of shit that throws 100 pitches in 5 innings, and walks 5 batters a game. He's just waiting to implode
>> Anonymous
>>213922
Other than the walks, he's gold Jerry, gold!
>> Anonymous
>>213922

And he also walks 1000000000000000000000000000000000 batters per start.
>> Anonymous
he doesn't even want to go to the states

>“I don’t draw a big picture,” he says. “I’m locked on to be a part of this team and contribute to the winning here. My focus is this club. And then after that, I’ll think about the future.”

You like making things up huh?
>> Anonymous
>>213929

He will when he gets paid 15 million a year to pitch. The Thing with Japan is that the best players only get 5 million dollars. Thats a lot of money, sure, but its not the CRAAAAAAAAAAZY money you can earn in the States.
>> Anonymous
>>213929
What a great comment; if he is posted he almost has zero say in where he goes.
>> Anonymous
>>213933
Not even the Yankees will be stupid enough to give Darvish something like 15 million / year. Especially after they pay 100 million for his posting fee.
>> Anonymous
A handsome younger Japanese baseball player?

>>213935

he doesn'thave to sign with the team that posts the most money, almost happened with Dice-K
>> Anonymous
>>213935

If he's posted, there's only 3 or 4 teams that he would go to. If you don't think Yu Darvish's going to break Dice-K's posting record, you're kidding yourself. Its either going to be Red Sox, Mets, Yanks, or the Dodgers.
>> Anonymous
>>213933
It would be more like a Matsuzaka signing, EXTREMELY high posting fee but a "medium" contract.
>> Anonymous
>>213935

lol try again
>> Anonymous
>>213942
Yes BUT say the Red Sox pay 75 million dollars to talk to him and he doesn't sign, the Fighters don't get the 75 million. If that kind of money is up in the air, the Fighter's front office would without a doubt pressure him to sign.
>> Anonymous
>>213942

And the Japanese team will be pissed off at him because of all the cash they're missing out on posting him.

Japanese baseball teams don't really care about promoting the team, they care about promoting the company the team is owned by. This is why Yu Darvish's team is called the Nippon Ham Fighters, and not the Hokkaido Fighters, where they're actually located.
>> Anonymous
>>213952

regardless of how the team feels, won't the fans appreciate his loyalty to japan?
>> Anonymous
>>213958
The fans are so-so on Davish. He's had some run-ins with cigarettes, nudity and underage pachinko. He's popular but he's no Daisuke Matsuzaka in terms of popularity.
>> Anonymous
>>213958

Oh sure. But I'm saying the Japanese league as a whole don't really care about the way the teams are managed. They constantly place aging executives from the main company who consider their GM job as semi-retirement instead of placing baseball people as GM. They play in half empty stadiums, and the main people who go to baseball games are guys in suits, not exactly the most passionate guys. Also, broadcasts of games are automatically preempted, even if they go into extra innings by existing programs like the news, or even children shows. I'm just saying that the League doesn't treat the fans as its number one priority.
>> Anonymous
>>213958
As sad as it sounds, the League could almost careless about the fans.

>> Anonymous

Holy shit I thought you were joking.

>He received further press when he was caught smoking in a pachinko parlor on an off-day at his first Spring Training in 2005, despite being underage for both activities. The incident led to his subsequent suspension from his team and high school, along with orders to give community service time.

I lol'd.
>> Anonymous
Thanks to Yu Davish, Kazumi Saito is no longer the best pitcher in the NPB.
>> Anonymous
Id rather take Uehara than Darvish.
>> Anonymous
Koji Uehara is 33 years old, the thing with Yu Darvish is that he's only 22. If an American team trades for him, they can look to keep him for ten yeras.
>> Anonymous
If you ever get a chance to see a NPB game in Japan...GO. I got to see Matsuzaka pitch with the Lions in 2005. Being there is crazy, the fans are great and loud as hell, it's easy to chant along or at least pretend too.
