Dude broke my heart in '98. I can't talk about it.

Wasn't Randall's fault. In fact, if I remember correctly, dude had a great game. I blame Gary Anderson and Denny Green. Also Dwayne Rudd for dropping the INT on the Falcon's last drive.

Yes, a great game, too bad he couldn't outplay CHRIS CHANDLER

Hey, aren't you the dingleberry who failed the the Vikings, and thus failed America by condemning them to watch the worst Superbowl ever? Oh yeah, and wasn't there some thing after that, when you played from the Browns, where you had a little problem telling when the game was over and when it's ok to chuck your helmet around like an ape? Am I right? Die.

Chris Chandler: 27/43 340 yds 3 TDs 0 INTs

Randall Cunningham: 30/48 266 yds 2 TDs 0 INTs 1 rushing TD

So Chandler managed to have the game of his life somehow. Randall isn't playing defense. 3 touchdowns on his own accord is pretty impressive either way.

Oh so fucking true. EVERYONE wanted to see Vikings vs. Broncos. They had been anticipating the matchup all season. Elway went on the record later saying he feared the Vikings.

Lost the one game that mattered. Not impressive.

18-1

I was happy to see Elway get a ring. And that return touchdown by Dwight was pretty cool, but Jesus....a Vikes/Broncos Superbowl that year would've been fucking ridiculous. Hey, let's chat about the Vikes/ Giants game that condemned us yet again to watching the Ravens skull-rape an unworthy opponent! But let me pour some salt in my eyes first. Ok, go.

Uh the divisional playoff game the week before mattered too. He won that one. There isn't ONE game that matters. Until you reach it, it doesn't matter. The Vikings defense couldn't step up to the plate when they were needed. They are to blame.

Keep telling yourself that Vikesfag. They don't hand out trophies for divisional playoff games.

No excuse for that one really. The Vikings just decided to collapse and let Kerry fucking Collins rape them.

Daunte and company had the offensive tools to take down the Ravens. Or at least make the game competitive...

>>490436

Yes but you must win that game to advance do you not?
>> anonymous
>>490437
Yes. Sickening. But watching the home team (for me) rape the Giants in the face was a decent consolation prize. But my ACTUAL favorite team (I admit, I'm getting confusing now) just raped Kerry Collins in the hiney a few days ago!! See how it all comes full circle?

Didn't matter as much as the next game, did it?

>>490452

And that game didn't matter as much as the next game either did it?

Look, I've talked to people before who share the same philosophy as you. I had a teacher who said that Dan Marino doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame because he couldn't win a Super Bowl (I countered him with the Trent Dilfer/Brad Johnson argument and he shut up but that's beside the point). The thing is, it'll always take a team effort to win. In fact, Cunningham led the Vikes into field goal range. Which Anderson...missed. Cunningham wasn't holding the snap or kicking the field goal. Cunningham wasn't playing defense. Cunningham played a great game. But he still didn't win. The Vikings defense that couldn't stop Chris Chandler from scoring a TD lost that game.

The same offense that managed a whole zero points against the Giants?

> I was happy to see Elway get a ring.

He already had one, the one for beating the Falcons was his second.

As for the Vikes/Ravens game, I was so excited when that showed up on the schedule the next year... and then 9/11 pushed the game to the final week of the season, when the Vikings were putrid and they were starting SPERGON WYNN at QB.

A Vikings/Broncos Super Bowl could have been the best in history. Randall Cunningham, coming out of retirement, changing his entire playing style trying to win it all while at the helm of the top scoring offense ever against a team that didn't lose a game until Week 15 with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time in his final season and a 2,000 yard running back. God dammit, I hate you so much Atlanta. You ruined what could have been the greatest match-up in my life time.
