The only thing that makes me not want to facepalm was that Billups, Hamilton and both Wallaces were considered failures when they arrived in Detroit and look what happened.

But then I facepalm when I remember Kwame's a bigger failure than all of them put together. Dumars is getting desperate goddamn

"The contract itself, as reported by ESPN.com, involves little risk for the Pistons. It’s a two-year deal at $4 million per year, but with a player option after the 2008-09 season. Perhaps the Pistons are hopeful that Brown, who generated virtually no free-agent buzz this summer, will realize he needs to produce to get another big payday, and will take advantage of this opportunity in 2008-09, then opt out of the second year. He failed to capitalize at the end of last season when he averaged just 3.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15 games for Memphis after his trade from the Lakers. That’s in part why Brown will be making less than half of the $9.1 million he was paid in 2007-08, the last year of his previous three-year deal."

Well, yeah, considering he was one of the reasons that NBA teams don't draft straight out of high school anymore, he is composed TOTALLY of fail.

man look at those tiny hands of his, I'm only 5" 6' and I can palm the ball.

Well, it wouldn't be the first piece of league 'rubbish' they turned into gold if things work out. Webber anyone?

Webber was a good player already, this is for poorly skilled players who turned out great.

The only project I'll give them is McDyess who they managed to somehow get 30 minutes out of those knees and be a replacement for Big Ben

duh, teams don't draft out of hs because of a rule. Why do you think we see record numbers of freshmen on draft?
>> Heynonnynonnymous

And how did that rule come out of place? Because of Kwame Brown and the buttload of lackluster high schoolers of his draft class.

The rule is only a proper excuse, but those guys were the reason for the rule. Get edumacated, basketball stars...or go to Europe.

wrong. Crappy hs players are not the main reason for that rule. Biggest problem was that more and more teams drafted hs players just because they did so good in nba. Stern and his people got scared of negative publicity of NBA not supporting collage education and implemented this rule. That is the main reason, hs busts just added a little.

...but I can still hate Kwame Brown, right?
