>Messi wins by a huge margin, with Casillias in second and Xavi/Torres in third place.

Would be awesome if that happened but unfortunately we all know C.Ronaldo will win it.

Ronaldo won't win it. There's lightyears between Messi and every other player in the world right now.

True as that may be,Messi didnt win shit last year(olympics lulz) whereas Ronaldo bagged the premiership and champions league.

The Ballon d'Or is a farce. It has been ever since Ronaldo won it in 2002 for a few games in the WC and being injured for the rest of the season. This was confirmed in 2006, when it was won by Cannavaro.

CRonaldo was utter shit at the EURO, and that blew away his chances of winning the award. When it comes to awards like this, the WC/EURO are worth about 20 times as much as the CL/big 3 domestic leagues. Expect Xavi to win it.

If that was so Baroš would have won years ago.

He's been better than Gerrard.

Anybody from Spain or Messi should win it.

Messi is good, but he's really not very special in my eyes.

Also Ronaldo should win. Messi might be better but he was injured a lot of last season - wouldn't be right to give him it.

Adebayor does the same job on a team that does about as well as Barca, and we all know Adabayor sucks. Messi is all hype.
