Every time I look at the standings I get pissed seeing the Hurricanes as the 3 seed. WTF? Seriously.....

which is why divisional playoffs FTW.

SE leader has to be in there.

Just be happy they're in 3rd and not 1st or 2nd.

rather see the caps in third than the canes

quote for motherfucking truth. All the fucking teams in the Southeast can't pull in a crowd, and why the fucking WASHINGTON CAPITALS are there, I'll never fucking know. Oh wait.. Gary Bettman..

return to old setup like wash in the patrick division or just get rid of all the se teams?

You mean the division that's won 2 of the last 3 cups? Oh, K, that makes sense. Look, there are real hockey fans down here, transplant or otherwise. I'll admit there sure as shit don't need to be 2 different Florida teams, do away with one of those *coughFloridacough* (with apologies to the ONE Panthers fag here that bumps his own threads night after night) and then just put Nashville in the SE. But the aforementioned stat speaks for itself... worry about your own region/division.

They need to make it simple. East and west, no divisonal bullshit, it obviously doesn't work for hockey in the U.S.

No the NHL doesnt need to expand to Kansas City Gary.... NO GARY Las Vegas doesn't need a damn team!

how about another California team then?

love,
G. Bettman

Get some teams where Hockey actually is popular. Like Canada.

I think the Canes deserve a slot in the playoffs...they aren't the third best team, but winning ones division has to come with SOME reward (even if it is the SE division)

And like it or not, 32152 has a valid point. The last three teams to win Cups have all been "non-hockey" markets (Ducks, Canes, Bolts). The last northern team to win it was the Devils almost 5 years ago.

Anyways, whoever comes out of the east is more likely than not going to be an underdog to the Western Conference champs (my money's on the wings or the ducks, but I'm a wings fan, and therefore biased)
