quick question for AFLfags.
As an Australian who has always been into Soccer more than footy, can someone explain why a rush behind only costs you one point rather than a goal? Or at least half a goal?
I mean, in pretty much every other sport an own goal costs you the full amount, so it pays to defend and not concede, so naturally growing up playing soccer, lacrosse and basketball I was taught that defense is how you win.
