Look, I realize my crappy town isn't ever going to get a sports team no matter how much the shady retards who make the gears turn try and get one. Can I at least just watch whatever game I want to instead of getting blacked out? kthxgoal

If we build it they will come.

also get League Pass from Cox so don't have to worry about blackouts.

Seattle has sports teams, actually.

>If we build it they will come.

That thinking led to disasters like Stratosphere and Aladdin.

Anyway, I just enjoy watching one team in the playoffs and the almost always get quickly eliminated, so the idea of buying a year's worth of everybody's games seems like excess. If I absolutely have to, I'll just go live in a sports book.

Jerry Bruckheimer will sooner or later throw ridiculous amounts of money to get a hockey franchise into Vegas. He'll overpay through the fucking nose but it'll happen eventually. Why LV needs a sport franchise when the city is already overflowing with all number of other kinds of entertainment, or why of all sports in Vegas they'd push for fucking hockey, I don't know.

why the fuck not?
it's not like californians give a shit about their hockey teams. or texans.

I never said California needed hockey teams either. Let alone three.

Why would you go to a hockey game in Las Vegas as a tourist activity, though? Seeing a Yankees game when visiting New York or seeing a hockey game when visiting any major Canadian city makes sense, those respective sports/franchises ultimately tie in to what it means to be from New York or Canada or wherever. If I were visiting Las Vegas, seeing a hockey game would be the last thing on my mind what with all the casinos, strip clubs, and everything else that ultimately defines the quintessential LV.

See #59896. People live here, too. The two most successful teams so far are the Rebs (NCAA Basketball) and the Wranglers (minor league hockey.)

And that's why.

Regardless, Las Vegas tourism has been cited as an attraction point of having a team there, and to me that just dosen't add up.

YOU GUYS HAD AN XFL TEAM BUT YOU BLEW IT!

Las Vegas people are a bunch of spoiled assholes. This town is full of scumbag back stabbing cunts and assclowns. No sports franchise will ever succeed here becuase the people here have no soul and won't support a team that won't win. I know I lived in this shithole for 28 years.

I doubt that crowd will show up for mid season games against the oh say Utah Jazz.
It would get crazy like All Star Weekend whenever the Lakers come to town and the Playoffs.

A new Arena downtown wouldn't be made for tourist but is would help The T&M is nice but it's missing box seats that the pro leagues love, It would also be better for other events that don't want to deal with UNLV or run their program from inside a casino.
all and all a boost in the economy.

Build an arena, you guys will get the Sacramento Kings in no time. The Maloofs want out, the Kings suck, it's a match made in heaven.
