As a Minnesotan, this made me cum buckets. We'd actually have a good QB and we could win DA SUPA BOWWWLLLLLL

Vikings without Brett Favre this year 7-9.
With Brett Favre 10-6 first round playoff exit.
You guys or so overhyped your gonna be real butthurt when reality sets in this year.

They have a solid O-line, D-line, an amazing rushing corps, a good enough receiving corps, and a QB who can't step up to the plate. The Vikes CAN have a legitimate shot if Jackson can do something.

this is an on-paper team. you know, like the way the Saints were gonna win 12 games and represent the NFC in the Super Bowl last year. Something about these overpopular trend picks would make me worry if I were Vikes fan. I'm calling it right now, Pack win division with or without Brett Fagre and wildcards both go to NFC BEast teams again, most likely Philly and Giants this year.

I understand this is an on paper team. But the Vikes really haven't had a solid season since maybe 2001, and they got raped in the NFC Championship that year. I think that the years of rebuilding and frustration have finally added up to a team that CAN win and MAY win. Even the Patriots only look good on paper so far. It's a total case of wait-and-see.

And I still think the Pack will be a contender as well. HURF DURF THEY DUN HAVE FAVRE. Aaron Rodgers looked damn good in his drive at Dallas, and 3 years of intensive training and mentoring may make him great.

Fix'd

Last year, the Vikings' D gave up only 74 rushing yards per game.

Probably because they gave up 264 every game in the air.

Yeah I'm not saying they don't have the potential to have a good season, but it's a stretch that all these experts have 'em 2nd in conference to Dallas. This Vikings team as constructed has not proven anything. It reminds me of the unwarranted hype of last year's Saints and the Bungals from the year after Steelers raped Carson Palmer's knee.

If he really wants to prove himself he'd go to the Lions
>> Bill Parcels
>>212831
They'd lose but he'd have better targets there than with the ViQueens. Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams and Mike Furrey are win.

Indeed, just like that year when the Ravens got Samari Rolle, and Derrick Mason, and drafted Mark Clayton, people thought they would go back to the superbowl, but they just fell flat on their face.

FUCK YEAH SOUL ARE GOING TO THE ARENA BOWL!!!

I think with Favre they'd have a better regular season record but they'd likely blow it in the first/second rounds of the playoffs. And then if they do make it to the Superbowl, do they really have the pass rush and secondary to compete with teams like the Colts and Patriots?

I don't know about their secondary but with the addition of Jared Allen their pass rush should be good.
