Are you serious? If anyone should get an asterisk in the HOF it's him.

Hay guys, Just selling out my old team LOL
>> Anonymous
Seriously, all the respect I once had for Favre is gone, simply gone. I'm glad Rodgers has turned out to be a decent QB, I just wish his Defense would back him up a bit.

I hope for the Jest to crash and burn for the remainder of the season.

>>420027
why so butthurt, the packers didn't bring him back when he wanted tom play how is this his fault?
>> Anonymous
The Packers organization sold him out, I'm glad he did it. It sucks for the fans, but McCarthy and Thompson can suck it.

He should do it the rest of the year.

>>420028
Dude, don't question the management in Green Bay. The same management that refused to shop for a recent receiving core and pushed Brett to retire.

It's easier to blame the player, a hall of fame player that can still play at his age, than it is to question the faces you never see.

Plus it's 4chan. Trolling is as much a sport as football.
>> Black ? Star !x8ngkAZjXE

Sold him out? If he said he wanted to play until he was 50 they would have kept him there. But Every year it was the same old

BAWWW IM TOO OLD FOR THIS BAWWWW

Okay I'm ready let's play XD

It still amazes me how one can go from the most bad ass player ever to a giant faggot in just a couple of months.

Also, lol curse.

>>420030
Sold him out by asking him on several occasions during the post season if he wants to come back and he said 'no'? Then just as they had said 'alright, moving on then' he shows up at the most inconvenient moment and goes LOL JK GUIZ.

And shock! They didn't want him back because that would mean losing the multi-million dollar investment (Aaron Rodgers) that they have tailored for several years to replace him. Because if Favre stayed, he may have agreed to extend his contract. If they allowed him to come out of retirement though I guaran-fucking-tee Rodgers would have left and become the Packers multi-million dollar investment starting for another team.

Aaron Rodgers, who ESPN won't let you forget is no Brett Farve, is doing very well with the same receiving corps that Brett had.

Brett is a douche. Simple as that.

I don't think packers fan gave a shit

I know I didn't.
>> Anonymous
>>420043
You mean the same receiving core that Brett went 13-3 with last season, and the Packers already have equaled the losses of last season?

No offense, but the receiving core was ONLY good because of Favre. I think the idea of them shopping to get 1 very good deep threat was something they should have considered. They apparently didn't, and also pushed Favre out of the way.

And I think ESPN needs to keep reminding you Rodgers ISN'T Favre. You keep thinking that they can perform the same, and they won't. Rodgers is not as good as Favre. Sorry to disappoint you for trusting the Green Bay management. It was your mistake, not mine for trusting a hall of famer over faggots that just want to make money.

>It sucks for the fans

It sucks more for his former teammates. Especially the ones that considered him a friend.

>>420050
If you are going by wins and losses it is the defense, not the offense that is the cause of the problems. Aaron Rodgers is more then everything you could ask for a Quarterback to be for his first year as a starter.

It doesn't help when you put up 30-40 and your defense allows 31-41 a game.
>> Anonymous
>>420058
You mean the same defense that just shut down the Colts, right?

Brett was the offense, and it's showing. The defense hasn't gotten any better, but it's not gotten worse. The offense has though. Rodgers is not as good as Favre. If I was a Packers fan, I'd be pissed that my management would VOLUNTARILY enter into a rebuilding phase, when they could still be chasing a super bowl with a hall of famer at the QB position.

You like rebuilding phases with subpar players?
>> Chocolate Hitler !!WCFvcOo5Pka
>>420058
You're getting trolled so hard right now.
>> Anonymous
>>420064
I'd rather rebuild with the Quarterback of my future who has proven to be pretty damn good yes. You would see he hasn't been bad if you took your rage goggles off.

If Favre came back then I GUARANTEE you would be facing a terrible rebuilding stage, because Rodgers would have left before the hack retired. And then he would, as I said before, become the Packers multi-million dollar investment starting for another team. So you would have no super bowl this year and an even crappier rebuilding future to look forward to if Favre returned.

Indianapolis is no benchmark for offensive talent this year. They have been nothing but shit since week one, with that fluke against the Ravens a year ago.

Also Rogers is more then double the league average of both Touchdowns (12 vs 5.5) and yards per game (1668 vs. 816). I believe that being one of the best QB's in the league qualifies you as a success.
>> Anonymous
>>420064
The problem on offense is not at the quarterback position, it's on the offensive line where they're giving up more sacks and committing far more stupid penalties. Also, Ryan Grant is recovering from an injury and he's only recently starting to perform like he did last year.

And yes, the defense is worse, with Atari Bigby out teams can run on them, and with Al Harris out teams aren't afraid to throw. No way the Packers lose to Atlanta if we didn't have injuries.
>> Anonymous
>>420077
One of the best? No.
Decent? Probably.

You're banking on him being a franchise player, WHEN HES ONLY STARTED 7 FUCKING GAMES.

There's a long history of brand new quarterbacks blowing it even halfway through a season and never being what management hoped for. Seasons of him sitting on the bench doesn't decrease this chance either.

Honestly, I'd rather want my team to win a super bowl NOW, than willingly give up a season or more to get going again. And don't think next season they're automatic contenders, it'll be a few seasons, and by then they will have lost the other good players they have now.

Don't think so? Who wants to stay on that team with that management voluntarily? Probably not Rodgers himself.

Btw, you really think the Packers couldn't repeat and do better than last season with Brett at the helm? You sound like a troll more than you do a real Packers fan.

>>420010
As a Packersfag, if this is true then it backfired magnificently because we still dropped almost 50 points on the Lions.

Furthermore, while his old team was kicking the Colts' asses, he was off losing to the RAIDERS

THE FUCKING RAIDERS

HAHAHAHAHA

>>420079
So you think 1 player or even 2 players out will dramatically change the performance AND chemistry of a side of a team?

And then you think it's wise to get rid of Favre?

Your logic is fucking astounding retard.
>> Anonymous
>>420088
Jets haven't had a decent team for a while. Even with Brett, they still have more holes than the Packers did or even do now.
>> Anonymous
>>420064

Rodgers is subpar? Fucking douche, have you watched a Packers game this year? And have you looked at his stats?

7th in passing yards (More than Farve)
5th in QB rating (well ahead of Farve)
t-4th in passing TDs (1 TD less than Farve, whose numbers are skewed by one big game)
8th in completion % (2 spots behind Farve)

He's more mobile than Farve. He has less fumbles than Farve. He throws less interceptions (4 less than Farve so far). And he can be the franchise QB for the team for the next 10-12 years, something that Farve CAN'T do. I would say that the Packers are still the favorites to win their division, and with a QB like Rodgers, they will be in contention for a long time. If they had kept Farve, they may have had a better record this year, but they would have probably lost Rodgers and would have been forced to go with Matt Flynn, Brian Brohm, or another unproven rookie/sucky veteran at QB next year or the year after

Not even a Pack fan, just sick of people giving Rodgers bullshit.

Yes, Brett is washed up and it is starting to show. The only reason he is looking good with the Jest is because he has been handed the AFC East schedule of cupcakes. And even with that he lost to the Faiders and the Cassels
>> Anonymous
>>420097
He's DECENT, but not Favre. You cannot dispute this fact retard, stop trying so hard.
>> Anonymous
>>420097
Don't forget that one big game was hugely out of character for the team he was playing. If he got the Cards on any other week then the one inevitable week when Kurt Warner decided to take a shit on the field it would have been a huge loss.
>> Anonymous
So, back on topic

Favre is a fucking weasel
>> Anonymous
>>420101

Phillip Rivers isn't Farve. Jay Cutler isn't Farve. Roethilsberger isn't Farve.

Does that mean I wouldn't like to have them on my team? Fuck no, a good QB is a good QB.

>>420089
Yeah, I think losing a pro-bowl corner will definitely affect how a defense plays. Look at the New England pass defense this year, it doesn't look like they miss Asante Samuel at all...

Farve was great. He's now good; a top 10-15 QB, not a top 3 QB. He's a sure bet for the Hall of Fame but getting some draft picks for a guy who seemed to be causing a distraction is better than letting him sit on the bench or getting nothing for him when he retires.

ITT: Packers fans think they can still contend in the playoffs without Brett Favre. This means they are delusional.
>> Anonymous
I'm not a packers fan, but the Pack got better when Favre retired. He is worthless washed up shit who throws too many bad passes to help his team win.
>> Anonymous
>>420127
On the contrary, maybe we can get through a playoff game without worrying about when Brett is going to throw his inevitable horrible interception (see: last year against the Giants, the 4th-and-26 game a few years back).
>> Anonymous
>>420101

Shit like that always makes me lol. I'M RIGHT, YOU'RE WRONG SO STFU RETARD.
>> Anonymous
Favre, even at his age, is still better than half the quarterbacks in the league. Secondly, Rodgers is a good quarterback and will continue to get better. I believe everything worked out well for both teams, so why can't everybody just get over the situation....this is stupid all of it to complain about.
>> Anonymous
>>420115
In terms of coverage ability Asante is just about as good as Hobbs at this point. The only difference is Asante was a lot better at reading the QB and therefore better at getting interceptions which we sorely need at this point.
>> Anonymous
What a cunt.

Patriots: If you accomplish nothing else this season, kill Brett Favre.

>>420115

Jay Cutler is a fucking joke. Denver should've stuck with Jake Plummer.
>> Anonymous
For all you faggots saying Aaron Rodgers has been shown up by Favre this year: FUCK YOU. You haven't seen any of the games and only look at our decent record to justify your bullshit. I've seen every Packers game and let me tell you that what Aaron Rodgers has done this year has been nothing short of miraculous. He is truly playing at a pro bowl level, and really is the second or third best quarterback in the NFC.
