1. They can make every member of Red Sox Nation and the biased north east media look like complete total idiots if Manny wins a championship in LA as the main star on the team. Those ungrateful bastards up in Boston ran him out of town for no reason and it would be sweet revenge to see him win a ring without the baggage of those bandwagon faggots.

2. Joe Torre was run out of New York because of some bullshit reason about how he couldn't win another championship. He already gave those greedy bastards four; wouldn't it be hilarious to see him win a championship the year he joins another team? Everyone in the Yankees front office criticized him because he couldn't get it done in October even though it was their fault for providing him with garbage players. Now, he has a quality team that can compete and seeing him hoist the World Series trophy as the New York sensationalist media cries themselves to death the next day would be amazing.

3. They can break the Cubs hearts by winning the division series. All season long I've heard it's been the Cubs season to end the drought. I'm sick of it. It would be very entertaining to see a team many saw unworthy to make the playoffs ruin the Cubs for the 100th straight season.

4. Kobe Bryant. What does Kobe Bryant have to do with the Dodgers you ask. Everything. Kobe has failed to deliver a championship to Los Angeles since the Lakers traded away Shaq. To see the Dodgers, a largely ignored team in comparison to the Lakers, win a championship before they do without O'Neal would make Kobe Bryant look like a fool. He would become an outcast in LA and be labeled as a choker. The fans would quickly become disinterested with the Lakers and start paying most of their attention to the Dodgers.

5. Andruw Jones will watch on in horror as the team that signed him wins a championship while he's in Triple A with no promotion in sight.

I know I posted this yesterday, but it needs to be stated again.

The Yankees offered Torre a 7 million dollar contract.
They didn't run him out of town, you tool.
>> Anonymous
Yeah a one year contract extension to your manager that brought you 4 rings isn't a slap to the face.

It wasn't as if he had just come off a World Series Victory, he came off three straight years of choking horribly in the post season, and even then he was offered the most expensive contract for a manager in all of MLB.

i'll never be able to live it down as an Angel fan if the Dodgers beat the Sox in the WS.

But I'd still take it, because there's nothing worse than hearing Boston fags gloat for another year

I understand most people from Los Angeles can't read, which is why I had hard time coming around to the Dodgers, but at least try to.

Half right.

I hope the Rays win the series if the Angels don't, but having to listed to all my Dodger friends for a year/forever if they beat the Sox after we get swept....well fuck.

Dude, I seriously say that to everyone I talk to haha. I would love to see that happen. Especially if it was a walk off hit (if that is even possible, depending on the home team etc, I'm too lazy to check it out.)
