>NBA Rookie Scoring Leaders
>1. Derrick Rose, CHI- 17.2 ppg, 34.2 MPG
>2. Michael Beasley, MIA- 17.0 ppg, 32.1 MPG
>3. Jason Thompson, SAC- 14.2 PPG, 23.9 MPG

Thompson is getting 8 minutes less, and only three less points per game. I think Petrie made the right decision taking him so high.

10 minutes less than Rose.

I was impressed with Thompson when I saw him play the Sixers a few days ago. Everyone laughed at the Kings, but thus far it looks they found a gem.

Too bad they have Hawes AND Miller in front of him, or they'd get him in the starting rotation easily.

Trade Miller (quality big man with good range) for a backup SF (who would end up starting in Sacramento), or a decent point to 'back up' Beno.

Right because the time of the game in which you play and the quality of the opposing players has no effect upon how much production a player creates. It couldn't possibly that he's doing exactly this well because he's playing against second team players. Not ragging on the guy, but it's like Penn State. He could be good, but he doesn't play against top flight competition.

Yay Derrick Rose! I just wish we still had Elton Brand. :(

I'm not calling him the second coming, I'm saying he's a kid who looks like he could start for a horrible team. Brad Miller is like 36 years old, and adds nothing beyond leadership to that team's future.

Why not start the two kids down low, and grow your talent for the future?
