The Colts cut Ed Johnson this morning because he was booked on possession charges.

Are you kidding me? It's not cocaine or murder (coughraylewiscough). I guess Tony Dungy is more srs bzns than I thought.

At least he could sign with Dallas or Cincinnati.

i love weed as much as the next guy

but if i landed a job doing something i loved and made millions of dollars doing it and said job hinged on me not smoking weed until my mid 30's or so at which point i'd be free and wealthy enough to do however much of whatever drugs i want, i'd probably knock the fuckin drugs off until then.

It's all about priorities, man. The league sets the rules, and if you want the money, you live by the rules. Break the rules, and you gotta go.

Unless you're Chris Henry, anyways.

Or having a gun owned and registered to your name used in an unsolved shooting *coughMarvinHarrisoncough*.

I'm not an Indianapolis fan, so if you're trying to troll, it's not worth your time. Secondly, I'm pretty sure the police said from the beginning that Harrison was not under investigation for whatever happened. I'd have to look it up though.

Not trolling. Just putting forward an interesting observation that was made over at ProFootballTalk.

WELCOME TO THE US JUSTICE SYSTEM

Rape a child? Murder your mother? No biggie, smoke weed? BURN HERETIC!

wtf are you talking about.

raping kids gets you double butt fucked in prison and murder is a felony

possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor where i'm from

it just so happens that the nfl doesn't take kindly to it's employees whom are paid millions of dollars to compete at a high level making the league look like it's a bunch of criminals (even though it often seems that way)

nobody is holding these guys at gunpoint and forcing them to play football for a ridiculous salary. they're free to retire and smoke all the weed they want at any point.

ask ricky williams how well that worked out for him.

It would have worked just fine for him if it wasn't the retarded way he went about it. Leaving just before camp and hurting the team overall caused a bunch of fines to be dropped on his head. If he handled it better he could still have millions of dollars and smoking weed at some herbal clinic somewhere.

I doubt this guy is making millions. Has anyone ever heard of him? I haven't. He's probably making the league minimum.

also, if he was somebody that an organization feels that could be a HOFer, great player, or hell even a starter he would have been given a second, third, fourth, or fifth chance. As witnessed with Adam Jones, Chris Henry, Tank Johnson, Ray Lewis and so on.

forgot to add Ricky "weed" Williams

I've heard of him since I'm actually a Colts fan. He was an undrafted rookie free agent that started last year. The Colts probably have someone better or as good as him anyway. They're always able to put anyone in and have the same defense.
