Here's the thing about Reggie Bush. He's not an every down back and will never be one. And he should be glad he'll never be one. Why? Because running backs basically retire in his early 30's, while every other player at any other position can last until his late 30's before he hangs up the pads. QBs, WRs, offensive line, defensive players, they all last years longer than running backs do. With Reggie only running a dozen times per games, and then used as the 3rd WR in games, he's going to lost until he's 40. Reggie Bush, playing until he's 40. And that's why he's so valuable. He'll play at a high level until he's 40 instead of breaking down like Shuan Alexander did at 31.

But he's a whitesoxfag, so fuck him. And he'll at least not have to worry getting hurt in too many post season games.

Nice attempt at fluffing reggies sack. But sorry, he'll be out in <5 years.

Still wondering how he has avoided the multiple lawsuits and the Heisman being taken from him. Oh, right, this is the same league that wanted to reinstate Vick before he was finally put in jail.

The same league which will continue letting Pacman play.

The league wants to ride a young black player to fortune. They don't care who else already tried and failed.

Reggie Bush is a better player than LT is this year.

so...a team can have an elite back for ~10 years, or a mediocre bust for ~16 years? hmmm, tough choice anon
>> Anonymous
Because a bust can score 4 touchdowns by himself in one game. Okay.

He is a bust at rb. Great special WR/special teams player though.

if only he could run vertically....

only a player drafted that high would even get that many chances after all the times he's failed to fight for yardage

Not to make excuses, but the o line sucks blocking for reggie. More than half the time a defender is in the backfield before reggie takes a step. Thanks god we have deuce who can just push the line forward.

This is his third year in the league and you faggots are saying he's a bust? LOL. Reggie Bush has unmatched athleticism- he could easily put together a Priest Holmes-type season next year once he gets the ball full time.

> only a player with that big of a contract would even get that many chances after all the times he's failed to fight for yardage

fixed. Contract makes a team give multiple chances, not how high the draft pick is.

Reggie Bush is the only reason to hate the Saints. Any other reason and it's like "They're the Saints. They've never done anything. Be a real man and hate a team that matters."

Here's my two cents. All of you say he's a bust, but if that's so, then why is it that every defense's #1 goal in every game against us is STOPPING REGGIE? I'm telling y'all, he scares the shit out of defenses. DON'T FORGET SPECIAL TEAMS.He is a distraction to run defenses because they key him, they ignore Stecker, myself, and Deuce. Thus helping us rack up yards behind their backs.

SHUT THE FUCK UP PIERRE!!!! NO ONE SAID YOU CAN TALK.

Reggie Bush might never live up to the hype, but he's not a bust. He's an offensive weapon that defenses must pay attention to. He's a special teams weapon. He's been able to stay pretty healthy. He's only 23 years old. He's got virtually no downside.

Go back and look at the 2006 NFL draft and there's maybe only half a dozen players that I would take over Reggie Bush.

I thought every defense's #1 goal is to make sure brees doesn't throw bombs on them.

Jay Cutler, Mario Williams, Marques Colston, Demeco Ryans... Uh... who was in the 2006 draft...

Hes not a bust. But there are better people, especially since he puts the ball on the ground way too much.

I consider Leinart more of a bust than Bush. Bush got all the pub his senior year, but Leinart was the #1 QB prospect the minute he started. He's the reason Matt Cassell didn't get to start in college.
>> Aaron Stecker
     File :-(, x)
Plain & simple, without Reggie, WE ARE FUCKED. When you focus on Reggie's YPC, you are not supporting a stable argument. It's all bout YPT (Yards per Touch). When he touches the ball, amazing shit happens 80% of the time. With his dangerous ability, like Pierre said, it distracts defenses from our abilities. Deuce WILL run over you when Reggie is in the slot, I'm most dangerous because my ability is mixed, more so with agility and screens. PT is most dangerous because of his special teams ability for KR. Reggie is special. Who gives a shit about his running stats? Leave that to PT, Deuce, and Myself.

>he's going to lost until he's 40

>>407400
That's the point, they focus on Brees, Reggie could break one on a punt return or on a dump off screen pass at any time. They focus on Reggie, it's the Deuce, PT, or Stecker show. Not to mention Lance Moore moving the chains, and the O SHI- factor in Henderson & Meachem.

Better picks
Mario Williams,
Jay Cutler,
Antonio Cromartie,
DeMeco Ryans,
Marcus Mcneil
Maurice Jones-Drew
Brandon Marshall
Marques Colston
Possibly better
Devin Hester
Jerious Norwood

I'd take number 252 over bush anyday.

looking back at that draft it was pretty deep. maurice jones drew, devin hester alot of good names got drafted late.

You must be crazy. Let's look at the Saints 2006 draft.
1. Reggie Bush - Everyone's talking about him now. Is he a bust? That's debatable. What's not debatable is that the Saints FO would be in big trouble after Bush "landed in their lap". Plus, they were going to take A.J. Hawk here. They now have enough mediocre LBs. Truth is that Bush has been pumping money into the Saints like Vick did the Falcons: he might be a bit overrated, but his publicity is bringing money in.

2nd - Roman Harper - Solid starter. He's pretty much exactly what the Saints probably expected when they drafted him.

3rd - Jahri Evans - Underrated (but what Guard isn't?) starter. Very good.

4th - Rob Ninkovich - Presumably out of the NFL.

5th - Mike Hass - Out of the NFL

6th - Josh Lay - Out of NFL?

7th - Zack Strief - Solid back up for Jammal Brown.

7th - Marques Colston - Need I say more?

So, let's see. They get a star WR, Reggie Bush, 2 starters, and a good backup. That's exactly the kind of draft you want.

My point was that we could have drafted all those people I named with or without reggie as we had picks before all those names got drafted later in the draft.
