But at the end of the day, they're still just playing hockey.

The -1 will be against us.

Hockey is playing again? You guys need a PR team or something.

You know 90% of Boston fans don't give two shits about hockey

And why should they, they can't bandwagon on a team that's not winning championships

Really, this is the hockey pre-season. The real season doesn't start until April.

I don't get why Hockey doesn't just let every team in the playoffs, and do 5 rounds of playoffs, and just start the playoff season in Feb.

The NHL playoffs are arguably the most exciting playoffs of the big four. Would you really want the Kings facing off against the Wings?

Because teams are already being beaten to hell after just three rounds?

I fucking love the Bruins.

Hey hockeyfags, is it true that more than half of the NHL teams make it into the playoffs? 'Cause that's like, MLS shit right there, guys, come on

And nobody in Boston will notice because they are too busy being bandwagoners for GOOD Boston teams.

Being an actual Bs fan, I get very close to RAAAAGEing when bandwagoners from other teams grief me for being a Bs fan... you know... becuase they haven't "done anything" lately (ie: Win a championship, go 18-1...)

The Blues are going to go 2-0... because we got the Islanders tonight... thats... its something right?

So does the NBA, what's your point? At least our post-season is exciting not like baseball's. Grind it out 2-0 games are not really exciting.

The margin of skill is close enough between the teams that a number eight seed can still play an exciting series against a number one. Plus I think part of the purpose is to make the playoffs a true grind, add an extra series for each team and only the ones that truly deserve to be in the end will have survived that test of endurance.

Hockey playoffs have an awesome flavor, the eight team per side format simply works to awesome effect.
