Is this guy really worth $12 million a year?

Are the Falcons THAT certain of his abilities?

You be the judge.

Does he kill dogs? No?

Worth every penny.

He's the new "face" of the organization. Every move they do now will be built around him. Whether he is worth it or not, the Falcons have already put him on a gold pedestal. Good luck with all that.

So by that logic every NFL player not involved in dog fighting deserves to get a $72 million dollar contract?

PS: Falcons will still finish last the the NFC South

I don't know how he'll do in the NFL, but he single-handedly beat my college team three years in a row.

This NFL rookie contract faggotry needs to end. When is a team going to say to their 1st round pick "Listen, asshole, you've never played a professional down, so you'll get what we decide to give you"?

MLB's salary structure is far superior. NFL players should get more than MLB players start with (injury risk and all that), but should have to prove they can hack it before they make the big bank. A QB who has never thrown a pass in the NFL isn't entitled to $12 million a season.

Agreed, I love how these rookies dictate what they are worth when they HAVE NEVER PLAYED A PROFESSIONAL GAME IN THEIR LIFE.

Fuck that, play one season on a rookie contract, THEN we'll decide if you are worth it or not.

Falcons just suck.

a QB needs time to develop. So usually the rookie year is not the best in evaluating rookie qb.

Contracts like this are what make NFL stand for National Fail League.
