Rank every NBA franchise, best to worst, all time.

It is a subjective list, but important variables considered are number of titles won, number of total championships, overall all-time won-lost record, how many years the team has been in existence, franchise financial value, national popularity, and total Hall of Fame players.

1. Celtics
2. Bulls
3. Lakers
4. Pistons
5. Spurs (As much as I fucking hate them)
6. 76ers
7. Knicks
8. Rockets
9. Bucks
10. Hawks
11. Bullets

Suns are my favorite team all time, but I was trying to get teams who had won championships before teams that did not. Plus they had about 15 years of total sucking before they got good again. Also, Backcourt 2000.

knicks should be ahead of the pistons and the spurs

bulls?
>> Phillyfag
I'd go

Celtics
Lakers
Bulls

And drop the Sixers to 8 (despite me being a philly fag)

I'd put the Hawks MUCH further down- I'm too lazy to check the histories of all the teams but they haven't won a conference in the modern era (and never in Atlanta.) The only notable in nearly a half-century for that franchise was Dominique, and he's most well known for slam dunk contests.

As a Knicksfag I always wondered why MSG is considered the "Mecca" of basketball while the Rangers play there and the Knicks have won almost dick in their history?

Knicks have always had great players playing for them, despite the lack of championships. I'm pretty sure the Knicks are 2-3 for most hall of fame players.

8. Heat
9. not the Hawks, Petit has been dead for 50 yrs already.
10. the Rockets, but they would have never beaten the bulls.

>>210955
yes I meant the first Lakers when they were in Minneapolis and they had that big white guy, he evidently won every championship in the 40's and 50's.

The LA Lakers, crappy team, regularly beat by the Celtics for a decade, beaten by the sixers, the bullets, the bucks, et al. I get that '72 was a big deal for them, it was the only time Jerry West ever won. he spent his entire life being beat by the celtics. god I h8 internets, cause none of you know basketball. That is why you all kinda liked warriors and clippers.

no, /facepalm YOUR ignorance. The Celtics have what 17-16-18 championships. the Lakers, have 5-6-max. and half of them were in Minneapolis. And Jerry West, AS A PLAYER, only won ONE. And I am pretty sure it was in '72. keep yr faggery doo to yr self and the toronto Maple Leafs.

I shall make this obvious:
Celtics, Canadiens, Yankees- pretty much always win.
Lakers, Maple Leafs, Rangers- pretty much never win. COPE YOU DUMB FUCK. That is how the world works.

At least get some knowledge. That "big white guy" was George fucking Mikan. And winning 9 titles in LA means nothing to you? THEY'VE WON MORE IN LA THAN THEY DID IN MINNEAPOLIS.

>>210974
wait Shaq and Kobe won 3, Magic won 2. '72 Lakers won. NINE MY ASS. Also Celtics Won them in a row like UCLA. Also, Mikan = Bogut. Further Celtics won a couple besides beating the Suns in '76? They had a guy named Bird and they beat the Lakers. More than once. As far as championships go- quantity > quality. Because Jerry West and his aura of fail barely won them.

They moved to LA in 1970.

>>210985
Magic might have won 3 at max. I do remember the Pistons beating them in their first of their repeat, I also remember them losing to the bulls in their first championship, which pushed the bulls' 6 championships as the next best to the Celtics. The Lakers are completely unimportant, since they generally lose in NBA finals. The Bulls are undefeated in NBA finals, the Celtics, they are like .875 once they get there. Also, Jerry West as "Clutch" as he is supposed to be, only has one ring, Havlicek has moar.

Dude, check the links. Magic won 5 rings. Don't trust wiki? From the official NBA Hall of Fame website: http://www.hoophall.com/halloffamers/bhof-magic-johnson.html

>No player Johnson's size had ever done what he could do with a basketball and his incredible talents resulted in a national championship at Michigan State (1979) and five with the Los Angeles Lakers (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988).

So, I realize now that I have had time to look at my list, that I put the Hawks above 5 teams that won a title, and at least 8 teams that have been to the finals. I guess I was just thinking about Mookie Blaylock at the time I made the list, can we all pretend that they are ACTUALLY number 25 and every other team moves up a spot??

The crown jewel of the NBA The LA Lakers are #1, ask David Stern. 15 league titles don't forget the 1948 NBL title , 29 conference titles This team been consistantly great for the last 60 years, playing for a title at least once every decade.
