FUN FACT: Rangers have winning records against most of the top teams in the east
>> Anonymous
>>66352
FUN FACT: Bruins dominated the Rangers this year.
>> Anonymous
>>66355
Bruins went 3-0-1 against Rangers
2-1-1 against Penguins
3-1-0 against Flyers
1-1-2 against devils
2-1-1 against caps
so they have a decent shot against most eastern teams
if it wasnt for the fucking club de hockey in montreal!!
>> Anonymous
>>66358
>>66355
Rangers most likely will not play the Bruins in the playoffs
>> Anonymous
>>66358
2-3 in the playoffs, not dead yet.
>> Anonymous
>>66361
if it did, itd have to be in eastern finals. oh god BOSTON VS NEW YORK EVERY SPORT ITS CUHRAZYYYYYYY id get sick of that shit quick.
>> Anonymous
even if the Bruins beat the Habs they'll still end up playing the Pens, the only way they'll play the Rangers is if both teams make it to the conference finals
>> Anonymous
>>66362
i meant mostly in the regular season, the whole 0-7-1 lol. i think its something like had the bruins just split the season series the bruins woulda had 101 points and most likely the 4th seed.
>> Anonymous
>>66364
>>66363
conference finals mind
>> Anonymous
Rangers have decent records against the better teams in the east

7-0-1 against Devils
3-0-1 against Canadiens
5-3-0 against Penguins
5-1-2 against Flyers
2-0-2 against Capitals

and shitty records against Sens and Bruins, but it's not like the Rangers can't beat the good teams
>> Anonymous
>>66355
FUN FACT: Boston only has two forwards worth shit, and it's a miracle that Sa-tard put together as many points the last 3 seasons that he did.
>> Anonymous
>>66398
Savard is one of the most underrated players in the league. And no, I'm not a Boston fan. He is one of the best setup mans, and getting the points that he's been getting with the team he's on is amazing.
>> Anonymous
>>66369
>better teams in the east
>Devils

I lol'd. Maybe 5 years ago.
>> Anonymous
>>66405

yeah your right, the 3rd best record in the east doesn't mean its in the better half.
>> Anonymous
>>66424
Your right it doesn't seeing as they're about to get owned in 5 gg no re

Rangers win, and Brodeur shows his lack of class but not shaking Avery's hand.
>> Anonymous
>>66633
Fuck Avery
>> Anonymous
>>66633
Brodeur's canadian, of course he's got no class.
>> Anonymous
>>66648
troll!
lol what nhl team doesnt have at least 1 canadian helping them win.
>> Anonymous
Can I try to please both Devils fans and Rangers fans ITT?

Avery plays his game better than any other in the NHL, being both a fantastic agitator (less PIM than Rutuu or w/e the fuck his name is) and creating offense. The whole hand-waving thing wasn't against the rules so you can do it. In my opinion he's just doing what every player wishes they'd done before him, because isn't that every player's goal who stands in front of a goaltender? Distraction and screening?

Sure it may be "unsportsman-like" but so is Brodeur falling any time someone comes near him.

Every team is playing dirty right now so don't try to pin it on any specific player or team.

I absolutely HATE the NHL's stand towards goaltenders, it's becoming football where you can hardly touch the QB anymore. If you get hit into a goalie, interference. If a goalie trips you while they're outside of the crease, interference. If you crash the net and do everything in your power to avoid the goalie while still staying in the play, interference.

Go Rangers, what a series!

Anyone have the Avery Dance in .gif format?
>> Anonymous
>>66658
while i do agree with your point on the NHL's stance towards goaltenders being a bit soft, i would like to see the integrity of the game intact - what avery did was bullshit and everybody knows it --- however, i think it should be up to the defensive corps to keep that type of shit from happening in the first place - you cannot interfere with a goaltender inside of the crease, period. if said goaltender chooses to wander, say, for example, behind the net - turnabout is fair play.
>> Anonymous
Yeah whenever a goalie goes behind the net to play the puck and the forward sort of slows down awkwardly to avoid a penalty I die inside a little.
>> Anonymous
Oh Devils.

Not even 2 fluke goals can win you a game.
>> Anonymous
Good series for the Rangers, glad they were able to pull it off tonight

Looking forward to what should be a good series against Montreal/Pittsburgh since those seem to be the likely matchups
>> Anonymous
Fluke goals, well that's hockey, what can you do.
>> Anonymous
>>66725
Rangers-Penguins would be pretty awesome. /hoc/ might implode since they it wouldn't know who to hate more, Crosby or Avery.
>> Anonymous
>>66748
only bad thing is we'd have capitalist bastard fagging up the rangers threads
>> Anonymous
>>66748
Are you kidding, Avery's instigations are awesome, plus he offers far more lol-factor than horse-face
>> Anonymous
I'd love to see Avery fucking with Crosby, that would be pretty funny
>> Anonymous
>>66762
If Crosby got injured by Avery I'd cream myself, even if it meant Avery gets suspended. Unfortunately it'll never happen since Crosby pussies out at the slightest hint of aggression and expects one of his 19 cronies to do the dirty work for him.
>> Anonymous
>>66748
crosby is a piece of shit

have you seen the promos saying that the game "rests on the shoulders of a kid"?

the amount of bullshit people are fed about the "syd the kid" is downright disgusting. he's done nothing to prove himself as any better than the other star players in the league, let alone a gretzky or lemieiux caliber player, and on top of it he's already injury-prone. Malkin did more for the penguins this year than anyone else, but he gets overshadowed by a little runt who wants to pick fights with veteran players and is one day going to get his ass railed for not being able to shut up.
>> CapitalistBastard !!f/pELCnjRD0
Avery is the definition of "pest". His job is to get inside the other teams head and have them make careless mistakes.

The rangers won in 5 games.

It looks like he did his job.

That said, the "I'm not touching you" bullshit he did on that 5 on 3 was ridiculous.

I can't wait for him to get his face pounded in.

>>66954

He's 20 years old and has won a scoring title and the MVP. What the fuck do you expect?
>> Anonymous
>>66954

Your logic is terrible. He is only 20.
>> Anonymous
>>66969
And already injury-prone.
Fucker's going to fall flat on his face even harder than Lindros.
>> Anonymous
>>66958
the problem with that is the only people swinging at avery are guys who aren't supposed to be, which means he's doing his job
>> Anonymous
>>66969
i think that's the point he's trying to make

he's done nothing particularly outstanding so far and people are treating him like he's the greatest thing that ever to happen to the sport.
>> Anonymous
>>66958
STFU tripfag.

>>66748
Eww. Pens would just destroy the Rags, and actually have a damn good chance to beat whichever Western Conference team stumbles through to the Finals. Even if that team does good against the Pens, the officiating will be fucking terrible.
