You guys may have Jason Bay (And he's doing well with you guys), but it seems that David Ortiz has started to dip badly ever since the Manny trade. He's 2 for 20 with an RBI since the trade.

Sure it may be his wrist, but he no longer has that true threat to protect him anyway. Jason Bay, Mike Lowell, and (The massively overrated) J.D. Drew are not great protection for the guy. They are not serious threats compared to Manny, and now pitchers can actually pitch around Ortiz.

Hahahaha! Without Ortiz, you guys are sore losers!

Sincerely,

Dodgersfag, who thanks you guys for giving us Manny.

He turns back into a mediocre slugger like he was with the Twins without big bat protection. LolBawston

Then why would you bring up 18-1? It's not relevant at all to this thread, and even less relevant if you aren't a football fan as you claim.

Did you really think Boston was gonna go all the way with Manny? I've got some bad news for you...

On the case of Ortiz, he's been going downhill since before Manny even started acting like a bawwwwwby. The Sox aren't going to win the World Series again, for obvious reasons, but look at their last three games; The hitting is there, the pitching roster is solid enough, and they have a sure spot in the playoffs.

or, get this...he was hurt. The best months of his career came without Manny behind him. Meaning your either a troll, and a pretty poor one, or someone who hasn't looked back further then a week.

>>234964
Actually, making it into the playoffs might be harder then winning once there with for the Sox. They need to fight with the division, and the wild card with alot of good teams. However when there, this recent Sox tea has put up very good playoff numbers, while alot of the other teams have bad track records. If the Angels don't cool off, no one is beating them, but if they do, the Sox are still the heavy favorites to win. The Sorten series solves there Bullpen, and end of rotation problems, and leaves teams to face Beckett/Dice K/Lester.
