Please do not go insulting other people's intelligence.

Overall I don't think this papercraft would turn out well, take a look at it closely is looks like it's made in MS-paint from scratch :O

Not all papercrafts have to be designed in Pepakura. ;)
How it looks on your computerscreen doesn't really say anything about what it will look like once it's printed and built.
Don't know wether this one is going to look great or fugly though and the template *does* look really discouraging since it's so damn cramped with small looking parts and no instructions in sight...

I'm looking to create my own papercrafts, I'm new to the programs, not the crafts themselves...my question:

Which program should I look out for? Looking for a reasonably easy soloution, will reward with new templates for /po

The easiest way is to take a 3D model, and let Pepakura unfold it (http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/). Sounds easier than it is, trust me. But you need to be able to do 3D modelling for that.

But basically, you can design papercraft with any kind of program you want to, even by hand and then scan the templates.
But in order to do that, you need to have common sense/imagination how certain 3D parts unfold into 2D templates and you need to be dedicated, because it'll take a lot of trial and error and testing the parts. You'll be testing and fitting and re-drawing the parts *a lot*.
No easy solution, most people go for option A (Pepakura).

previous poster here again, I've downloaded Pepakura, as well as the viewer. I understand that I do need a 3D modelling program to utilize this package, correct?

If there's no way for me to find a basic 3D modelling program, I suppose I can go throw the hectics of trial and error, as I've patience, ambition, imagination, and anything else that makes me seem smarter than I actually am.

Anyway, thanks for the help anon! Now...do you reccomend any type 3D modelling software?
