Beginner Tips Anonymous
Hello /po/

I've been looking at all the papercraft you've done and I would really want to learn how to do some.

Can you give me some tips or prints to begin with?

elmers glue works perfectly fine.

regular printer paper is flimsy, head up to an office supply store for cardstock.

hp style printers (the ones that make the paper do a u-turn) don't work well with thick paper.

exacto blades and small scissors are the standard cutting tools, everybody has their own taste.

wash your hands of oils before handling your paper. not a big deal, but a good idea if your any where near a perfectionist.

I'm a n00b too. Literally working on my first right now. Here's a tip.
Score along the glue tabs BEFORE cutting out.
Ugh.

tweezers (also know as forceps) are useful for pinching small areas normally inaccessible for fingers

Run along the line with something dull, yet small enough to be precise. Weakens the paper a bit to make it easier to fold.
