In before "repost."

Because that doesn't really matter I think, not everybody visits /po/ daily, and I'm sure there are lots of people that didn't know this yet! ;)

If everything can only be posted once, lots of people would miss out on many awesome papercrafts!

too bad the sprites and coins aren't 3d, or better looking 2d, those whitespaces shure make them look ugly, and they could have at least made the bottom of the tree leaves green too

other than that i am definitely going to build this model!!

Well, this a free bonus, and it was probably aimed for small kids, so it's as easy as they could get it. You could just cut around the yellow of the rings instead of the grey outlines and cut out the white inside to try to make them look a little better.

As for the bottom of the leaves: printers just don't print doublesided in one go yet. ;) They could add another page with green rectangles and tell you to print it on the back of the leaves page, but for most people, this would just be an annoying step that they don't like to do. I think it's a simplicty thing again. But you could just take some green felts and color the bottoms yourself, or print the leaves again and glue them underneath the first ones.
