Help me /po/, I'm a decent papercrafter, but I am extremely slow (it took me a week to finish Cooking Kirby), any tips on speeding things up? (I am using a scalpel, Decent Glue, and a self-healing mat btw.)

Don't be worried about how long it takes to make a particular model. Some models can take a while to make and some can be knocked over in a night.

A good example is the Canon paper craft luck cats. I can get one done in around 3 hours.

But then I will try and make a small anime girly which could take me a week @ 3 hours a night.

Some models are just really fiddly and some are a breeze to make.

a good method to have is if you're working on a long or difficult craft, is to take the time to cut out all the pieces first before doing any gluing, and put then put them in a plastic bag so you don't lose anything. after you've finished with all that cutting, don't fold anything on the model itself other than the flaps. this tends to create a better, less blocky looking result, while saving you quite a bit of time. i used this method when i made the cooking kirby craft, and it only took a couple of days. hope that helps!

That doesn't work on all papercrafts. And I kinda like the blocky retro look on N64 papercrafts. ;)

that's true. the method i said is really more for the more complicated stuff. I find some things look better blocky too- as in the case of n64 models. the cutting everything first does make many things seem to go by more quickly, though.
