so /po ive recently found myself living in japan where would be a good place to look for store bought papercraft, i check toys r us cause it was there, lot of gundam models though. an idea if i find new stuff ill be sure to scan and post

any idea what a good thing to ask the teller for, cause i dont think going up and asking if they have papercraftu, i did see some simpler stuff at jusco last nite though in the book section ill post a pic of em and buy em if theyre not all ready available

You're having fun spouting off, aren't you? Try doing a web search, and you'll see that many pages call it pepakura even if it has nothing to do with pepakura designer, etc.

There was a really nice video, which has since been removed from the web, showing how some hobby stores have sections devoted to papercraft, and many "tourist traps" have paper models for sale... plus, there's a lot of websites that don't sell internationally full of good crafts; http://www.zuko.to/kobo/ has some wonderful mechanical models that I'd love to get my hands on.

"Pepakura" is an example abbreviation that the japanese commonly use for foreign words.
Pepakura is simply an abbreviation of Papercraft. Much like "Purikura" is an abbreviation of "Print Club"
