/po/ doesn't like me today..last try.
>> Rhugha
It's from Tomoko Fusès book Unit Origami.
I extracted the pages and made a smaller pdf, but for some reason I can't post it, so I uploaded it on rapidshare.

Though, getting the whole book is worth it. =)
The octagonal star is on page 46-49.

I have this book, and this is close to the hardest thing in it. Tomoko Fuse loves to take you halfway there, then direct you to 'fold again like before'
That is really helpful...not!

The thing about origami is that you don't always have to follow the instructions. You can come up with your own steps, so try experimenting around.

The way I do it is completely different, although it's longer I find it easier to remember.

thx It took me about 2.5 hours to complete it but thats mainly because I was looking at the diagrams and trying to figure the steps out. I think I could do it in as little as an hour and a half now.
For tomorrow I'm preparing to make an arabesque, I think it'll take me a couple of days to build, at a leisurely pace. Heres the link
