PDF Editing? Anonymous Cat !aAFjY0TTDY
Is it possible to strip off password protected PDFs to edit them in Photoshop? The ones too large to simply screenshot & save.

Or am I reduced to printing the sheets out then scanning them back on my comp?

Pic questionably unrelated

there is a program called pdf password remover that should do what you wants it too. also you can always print (but print as pdf) and then choose to print Adobe PDF and name it something else that is another thing you can try

Passware is a password cracker that works on pdf files (and just about anything else). It will also cause anything less than a dual-core xeon processor run at commodore 64 like speeds.

Having said that, I have found that I can open many password-protected pdf files in CorelDraw by just entering a blank password when importing.

Well tried two seperate downloads of Passware torrent and only the PDF recovery part would not work at all, kept getting an error message

:(

Doesn't anything recover both master and user passwords?

Haven't heard about Passware before, but i use "Advanced PDF Password Revovery", and "Advance PDF Password Recovery Pro". The former can remove unknown owner passwords, as long as no user password is set (allowing the file to be edited). If there is a user password, it can still remove both passwords, as long as you know one of them.
The pro version can do the same thing, plus it can use various searches to hack the file, if you dont know either password. Theres a dictionary search, and a brute force. If the format of the password is unknown, or is likely to be more than 5-6 characters, a Key Search is a better option, as long as no third party encryption is used. The Key search doesnt try the actual password, but the hexadecimal encryption (theres actually less keys, than possible password combination). They say its guaranteed to encrypt the file, but it takes up to ~9 days on my Athlon 2000.

To the OP's specific problem: I assume that you have a PDF with a User Password set (prompt, when opening in acrobat). That means, that the file is encrypted, and Photoshop won't import it. If you know the password, the trial version of APDFPR (standard) will do the trick:

Good luck!
