Yoda and the Goth Girl The Leprechaun
I have finished this paper model of yoda it is 26inches in height. It is based off the model found at:
http://piromodel.fc2web.com/paper%20model/newpage1.html

I also re-worked that goth girl mqo file and have generated the unfold pattern in papekura however, i was lazy this weekend and did not make the model so i will post pics and the template once i have completed the test build.

Yoda template please? Maybe a smaller version perhaps?
>> The leprechaun
The only reason i re-did the 3d model was so i could make it as big as it is. the orginal yoda templates along with many other star wars templates are at

You didn't had to re-make the template, all you have to do to make it bigger is this, try to open it with pepakura designer, it will say it can't be opened, and will ask you if you want to open it with the viewer, click yes, but you must not have it installed, it will say that it couldn't find the file and asks if you want to search for it, click yes an the file prompt will pop up, just click cancel and designer will open the model, completely editable, (as in pepakura designer-editable), that way you can make the template bigger or smaller, add lines or remove them.

By the way, this doesn't work with password-protected files.

the only reason i re did the 3d model is so this is my work, I will give credit to the man as inspiration and and what my papercraft piece was based off of, but this way i created the model and the papercraft.

Rebuilding somebody else's 3D model is more than using it as inspiration: it's copying. The guy worked out how to shape this model to make it look like Yoda, and you shaped it the same way. You might have done a nice job doing so, but to call it your own work, your papercraft piece... No. Just... no.

funny since i just used it as a basis for my model and redid several pieces without the use of his model, that is like saying his model is not his work because it is based off of the orginal work of the clone wars cartoon, which is not orginal work because it is based off the work that lucas art did, so really with your line of logic and reasoning neither i nor he nor anyone other than lucas and/or his design team made any thing star wars related including papercraft. I understand if i took his model and completly made my based upon his, i used the model as reference to build my model, which is MY MODEL.

Dude... What I said was the guy worked out how to design the 3D model, how to all the parts so it so they resemble Yoda's hands, face, noce, arms, body, walking stick etc... If you just used it as inspiration, it would be like: "Wow! A Yoda papercraft! I'm gonna design my own!" And you'd come up with a totally different looking 3D model, built out of different shapes to resemble Yoda's arms, nose, hands etc. Your 3D model may be yours, but the DESIGN of your 3D model is clearly not. And yes, the character Yoda is from Lucas Arts (dunno why people always think they can prove a point by going so far back...).

The belt or whatever it is is different, so that's probably the guy's own idea, but the rest does look an awful lot like the original.
Textures (well, the eyes, the rest are just plain colors but I'm sure he did those new as well) are different too.
But who cares, it's a really nice build, really looks nice.
