What is the best program to model papercraft in? I have been using Sketchup to model with Pepakura to unfold but, I feel like Making smooth round models in Sketchup is less easy and precise. Am I missing something? I have been using the free version of sketchup btw.

Pic Related a WIP.

that grouping smoothing thing is only for visual. it doesnt actualy change anything in the polygons. it only remove the edges and add some smoothing and filtering to the texture to give it a smooth look. the best way is to gram edges and corners and just place them where you need. cut the face in many by adding more and move the new edges. there is also pre made shapes in the component section that can be used for a starting structure

There's nothing saying you /have/ to fold on the lines once you print it off either.

Also, papercraft plugin for Sketchup:

Please give us free waybe please.

Will give many internets for easier papercraft creation.

Hmmm.. interesting, never heard of waybe, pepakura still looks like a more powerful tool though, and it's compatible with sketchup as long as you export the 3d model into anything pepakura can read, i think it even allows .kml and .kmz (google earth) models

I've seen this program called "Papercraft Magic Bullet" it does EVERYTHING with no effort or skill at all. Just think at it and *POOF* a model is made. It's what masamune uses.
