Oh no. As much as I would like to believe that, there's been way too many trolls saying that lately.

I won't demand it, but I am forced to not believe you until I see some screenshot(s).

Pretty sure it's just an auto-unfold from Pepakura as a teaser, but just in case it isn't, here are some protips:
1) Delete the fold lines on the curved parts.
2) No. (see pic)

What's wrong with it? You cut along the line you pointed to, and put that strip inside the curved part.

Sorry, meant to upload this last night. I'll test build when I get back from class.

>>125741It's buildable, but it's just that it's not very well thought out. Pepakura is just a tool, the thinking things thorugh is where many people screw up in their enthusiasm I guess. This is such a simple shape to do in Pepakura, that you should take the opportunity to try to get the basic how-do-I-unfold-stuff-in-a-smart-way right and hone your skills for more complex works later on perhaps.

Also, maybe you hate fold lines showing (I personally don't) but personally I would only delete the lines on the curved parts: the angles need to be sharply folded so they do need fold lines/to be folded. On different papercrafts (people, realistic ones) you might not want to see lines showing but on this one, I think the template would look better/clearer with the minimum fold lines. But like I said, that's personal (this all is, btw lol).

I would also rearrange the parts a little differently. The focus should not be to having as little parts as possible: often if you keep parts together as much as possible the parts end up more complex than they need to be, it's all about finding the right balance (can't tell you what that balance is I'm afraid, it can be different for every papercraft and every person even).

And I wouldn't put all the tabs on one side (the rim in this case) but alternate some sections: otherwise when you're closing-the-lids of the box which this basically is, you will probably find that it will kinda glide a little and it will be more difficult than it needs to be to make the sides follow the exact shape of the top and bottom. Again it's doable, but with smart thinking, you can make it (nearly) idiot-proof lol.

No template, even simple ones are perfect, take what you think "hm, that's actually not a bad idea" and discard the rest. If that's everything, then oh well lol... ;)
