Tweezers works. Having a long, thin tool, such as an unfolded paperclip, can help you join pieces that are at the end of a long closed section.
Common sense also helps out; before putting parts together, figure out the areas that would be the hardest to get together and do them first. Look for areas that can close easily and leave them for later. A little forethought can keep you from gluing yourself into a corner.
