I would like to have that box. I have a huge dog so if I could put that dog into the box, we could travel much easier (and cheaper) together :D

the obvious is usually the answer this is based on the Hindu Basket trick and while it is more complex in it's mechanisms it's the same trick. if you want to do this exact trick your self here you go
http://www.wellingtonent.com/products/origami.html
if you want to bulid it yourself start your resarch with the Hindu Basket and then couple that with the Table of Death effect and you should do fine.

Okay... Ruining the trick. If you really don't want to know... don't read.
The table is hollow, the skirtin hids the fact that the bottom of the table box is actually several inches lower than it "appears". The "riser" and "floating paltform" that the origami box sits on are also hollow and part of the box. Each section is several inches thick but painting them black and trimming them in silver make the appear thinner. The actual box is something like 3 x 1 feet deep. with a lid on the top the size of the larger box.
The assistant gets in, in a "resverable" 2 colour top or a tear away costume. Steps into the table-box (see 10-20 years of dance and flexability training) and wiggles the top around or tears away costume. Everyone watches time buying "box" being folded and sword flashy flashy.
Swords removed, Origami box unfolded, assistant steps out. Everyone goes ooooh!...Aaaah! clap clap clap.
