I need to make a Calabi-Yau shape for a quantum physics presentation. Can you guys help me out. Picture is one rendition of a Calabi-Yau shape.

Kunihiko Kasahara created a "big bang" for the book "Extreme Origami". That would be that blue object in the cover here. While it looks complex, the instructions are rather easy, and in fact, are basically the same to the knitting instructions as well.

0) obtain paper grocery bag
1) cut largest circle possible
2) recycle paper grocery bag remains
3) enjoy paper circle
4) draw smaller, evenly spaced, concentric circles
5) do not put on body: resembles target; you may get shot
6) cut out center of paper circle
7) pleat drawn circles
8) hope to higher power it collapses
9) once paper dies from overuse, start over

On second thought, those are absolutely nothing like the knitting instructions, but whatever.

And, to correct myself, the piece is entitled "Before the Big Bang" and it was created by Thoki Yenn and it was used in Kasahara's book.
