Jack Sparrow's Onyx Ring. Just got it from The Disney Experience. A few months ago I asked if anyone had chosen it as a gift with something ordered from that site. I knew I'd seen Zero and The Wicked Wench before, so people had obviously been to that site. But you /po/opers were all like "NO! IT'S A PROMOTIONAL ITEM ONLY! YOU CAN'T GET IT! GTFO!" So I'm wondering, should I be spiteful and start cutting or should I find a scanner first?

well what good does that do me?
>> dreamofanotaku
honestly if it was me I'd scan them and see how I felt about it after a while, see if I still didn't want to share. I hope you do sooner or later but hey you paid for it, do what you will.

Yeah, I just thought about it a little bit. It probably wouldn't change anything on /po/. Doubtful it would even teach people not to be assholes. At any rate, this one isn't even copyrighted, so scanning is perfectly legal. I'll get it scanned tomorrow.

I would like to say I would very much enjoy having this ring. I'm new to papercraft, trying to do as much of it as I can, and this doesn't look too tricky. So if you do post it, thank you very much in ass-kissing advance.

You are awesome! I've been hoping that someone would get this and scan it. Has anyone bought something and chosen the other ring that's available as a free gift yet?

My sister would love this.

Folks haven't been that bad about it for a while...
I remember that thread. The last comments made were "the only way we'll get this is if someone from /po/ breaks down and buys something from the site, and then decides to share it with /po/ out of the goodness of their heart".

If you decide not to share, that's your business; it was your money that paid for it. If you do decide to share, /po/ will thank you.

/po/'s stand on piracy waffles, but a pirated pirate's ring would please /po/ profusely.

Arr, matey, I would be personally grateful for this one, myself :D

Aren't the models from the Disney Experience distributed either via download, or on a CD-Rom?

MOONY! The creator of the Wcc! GET HIM!

Not sure about either distribution method, I think it's mostly CD only now. Some models such as this ring, however, only come as bonus when you purchase a particular "pack" of models.

In general, I don't really mind sharing commercial papercraft. One big exception would be Flying Pig's models, if only because it's a pretty small company and distributing the guy's models freely would only bring him down.

Other than that, and as was wisely said above : it's your money, do what you will with it.

Not to put too fine a point on things, but you do realize the reason no one had it was because no one shared it, and that by not sharing it you're just starting the cycle over again?

Meh, do what you like. I wasn't a fan of PotC, personally.

Well, this is /po/

Depends. Have you ever downloaded something from /po/ or downloaded something from a link provided by /po/? If not, you don't really owe /po/ anything. If so, you'd be the asshole not to.

For the great and honorable Moony, even if she is a namefag. Sorry, but the scanner I used was a giant hulk of rotting shit. It cut a bit off the bottom of A7, but I just spliced the top of it back on. Also, the width of the cards were 13.4 cm originally. I did my best to fit it back to this size, but if it prints larger or smaller, let me know and I'll give another whack at it. Have fun, /po/opers.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. This one is almost impossible to do without a scalpel or an X=Acto knife. Also, it's hard to see the lines sometimes, and the colors don't look accurate to the picture. Perhaps someone would feel up to modding this a bit?
