Im new to this art and I was wondering, what kind of paper do you use to make stuff like this?

Thanks

67lb cardstock if you want it stable but flexible enough to bend still. 110lb if you want it ultra-durable. Printer paper works fine too if you want to test out the pattern first or are new to the hobby.

The downloads themselves are *.lzh compressed archives; the japanese equivalent of *.zip or *.rar files. You can use Winrar (http://www.win-rar.com/download.html) to unpack these archives, it unpacks many different compressed archive types: http://www.win-rar.com/index.php?id=24&kb=1&kb_category_id=33.

Inside the archives are the templates in *.gif format (you can open these with basically any graphics program) and a *.pdo version, which you can open with Pepakura Viewer (http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/download/viewer.html)
