Actually a complete moron. I'm just now getting into papercraft and I'm querying about what kind of paper/glue everyone uses. I like not fucking things up. (Picture unrelated.)

i just started also, and from what i've read, used wood glue, and cardstock paper, wich is thicker than printerpaper, um, use a exatoknife, the tiny one is good for small things... and a cutting mat so you dont fuck up your table.

there used to be a link to some japanese site that had a great tutorial on how this stuff is done.

This isn't the same one I was thinking of (I think), but it is a good one all the same.

Really, this thread should be stickied.

Paper-wise, I use 160lb exact edge card stock in white and light blue. I print everything on white except for black and blue parts which I print on the blue to get a deeper colour.

For edging, I use micron brush pens and prismacolour markers.

For cutting, I use a swansey's knife that my great grandfather gave me. It is a WWI english collapsible field scalpal that is modified to take modern scalpal blades.

Glue. I have yet to find a decent glue. But 3M photo albumer's glue sticks work better than anything else I have tried as of yet.

I'm a rather simple fellow when it comes to origami, and use whatever's on hand (usually college ruled notebook paper which you will gradually come to know, love, and hate because of how damn thick it is compared to "real origami paper").

At any rate, notebooks are cheap, and origami paper whacko-expensive at the places around here (like thirty dollars for a set of fifteen squares of origami paper at the Wal-mart here...), so I do my regular, practice, and free-time folding with notebook paper, and only use origami paper for knicknack (I spell that right?) pseudo-gifts for my friends.

Origami paper isn't that expensive on amazon. You should check it out.
