Yeah, that's the cactuar that was once created by somebody from /po/, not from the FF8 papercraft book. It's quite nice, but the one thing that bugs me about it is that the cactuar itself has quite a nice, cartoony texture, like in the games, but the base for it (it can't stand on it's own on one leg...) has a "photorealistic" texture... It really doesn't match...

Back to the FF8 book: it's from Digicube, that did a lot of FF merchandising (doesn't exist anymore), and the book has more models than just the cactuar (see pic).

Ok here it is got this with my terminator CD. Yes I'm the same guy that provided you with the crappy T-600 scans, and no, I haven't started on it yet, please quit bugging me about it. Since the T-600 thread died, I'm including the t-600 link here as well.

FF8 GF link:

First thing you'd probably say is, wtf file's too small. No you haven't downloaded the wrong file, click on the exe file it's a flash/pc book thingy. Just keep clicking on stuff until you get a print dialogue box to print the templates.

They're all very small files, even in pdf format. But apparantly, it's a common misperception that papercraft files have to be large. I mean: you're gonna print them on A4 cardstock (or US letter cardstock), so how high a resolution/filesize need the parts be??

No instructions for the FF8 models other than this guidance in moonspeak.

Awesome! :D

Lemme guess? You used SnagIt to do the printer capture? I was thinking of doing this for 32648, but decided it was way too late at night and I'm just way too lazy.

Thanks FF8 work Great and prints just fine.!!!!! :*)

Nope pdf995 and pdfedit995 to combine them into 1 pdf.
You sir, were WRONG!!! ;o)

Well anywho, saves me the work, next thing I'm posting would be Godzilla, King Ghidora, and Mothra, I just hope they're not a pain in the rear to upload like the terminator scans.
>> 32648
Holy crap thank you SO much!! Rockin' awesome.

At first glance, the moonspeak guidance isn't anything more than general printing guidelines. Use a color printer, A4, margins 30mm top and bottom and 10mm on either side, etc etc. Nothing especially relevant.

This thread is hot...

Yeah, I figured as much... I haven't tried yet, but I don't think they'll be *too* difficult to build even without instructions if you have some experience in papercrafting.

Don't bother. rapidsearch.yi.org remembers them.

I was the one who bought the CD. I hadn't actually looked at the Godzilla folder yet, just the Mothra one. There is no page 23 on the CD either.

About the instructions it looks like the black tabs glue to the same piece and the red ones glue to another piece as I see, now just need to find pics of the models completed to get an idea of how they fit each other specially the slipnir and his 6 legs(ok 4 and 2 that end in the knees)

I found this pic of Bahamut complete in the paperkraft blog, can the owner of that site post the instructions if he have them? I remember he drops around here some time ago...
