when pressing together long tubes and complex pieces, it cuts down you wait time in between piece handling so you down have any accidental separations of important pieces

You're still using too much glue if you EVER have to figure in drying time.

QFT. The only time I have to wait between gluing one tab and the next is the first tab when connecting two different sections and even then it's only about 15 seconds. Just cut the next couple pieces out and go back later.

sometimes there is no choice but to use a glob a glue, unless you have reeeeeeeeally skinny fingers

No, not really. That's when you deliver a tiny amount of glue with a skewer, an unfolded paper clip, or something else similar, or you rethink the order you're joining pieces together in so you don't end up with an impossible to close edge.

I picked up some of this because it's a little tackier than vanilla elmers. I also use gluesticks. I don't wait for anything to dry.

I use a special paper glue (liquid) that is very strong and dries in about 2-3 seconds
