So, I'm messing around in Blender and Pepakura designer.
1- How do I optimize models for papercrafting, no subsurf or what? I've never tried building with low poly or whatever...

2- Why is pepakura designer making my models more complicated then they should be?
Any tutorials anywhere or sumthing?

I wanted to make a hako pikachu. :P

lol, is that sum subdivide?

Idk why it's doing that, but when I build it, it didn't have that split at the front idk aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Right click, Join/Disjoin tool.

Pic unrelated.

Um... are you using a symmetry tool or something? It just looks oddly split down the middle.

Finally, someone who uses Blender instead of a pirated version of 3ds max. ;)

Well, lets see.
Probably no subsurf, it would just make things too complicated.
If you want to turn a high-poly model into a low-poly, you can use the "decimate" modifier to get rid of vertices.
Or you can do it the slow way: deleting unwanted vertices one by one and adding faces where they used to be. Very slow, but gives a lot of control.
Pepakura uses the model's original edges meaning that in your model you must have an (unnecessary) edge down the middle. Obviously, the more organized the model is, the better it will unfold.

That's all I know of right now...
