Chokipeta Link Anonymous
I've been working on the Chokipeta Link that we got two tiny pages of awhile back. Someone else was using Adobe Illustrator to mess with it, but school means that they have to do more important priorities first. While trying to figure it out, I got this finished version. There are a few parts that need to be modified further, and I was wondering if someone could post pictures of the original one completed.

This one and the next 4 pictures will be from the attempt I've made so far. I'll also post the modified versions that I have so far. I want to get the model right before I start taking away the black lines.

That's really good considering all you had to work with were two tiny thumbnails. I haven't seen the real model, but I'm wondering if Link should be that thin.

Not bad. I'll give it a try later.

I got onto chokipeta's website and found it amid all of the papercrafts in the gallery. The main things that I was wondering about were the positioning of the legs and the hair. I always have trouble figuring out the hair on Link in chokipeta papercrafts. But the legs and the background are both white, so there's a part on one leg that I'm really not sure about, so seeing this will help...I hope.

Nice, /po/ people are quite creative! ;)
Although obviously the quality isn't quite that of the original model, it's very nice to see people enjoy papercraft so much to put in this kind of time and effort to enjoy him/herself!

Nice! One thing, though: maybe it's because you guys got inspired by the picture to the right, but you can just fold and glue that large flap at the bottom 180 degrees. ;)

If I fold the flap link would fall xD
Thank you anyway =D

center of balance is wrong then........ looks the same as the original, wonder how it's solved there? maybe some thick, heavy cardstock/cardboard glued to the bottom?

No , it's glued only and it moves.
The legs aren't really well put so thats the problem.

That's what I was originally wondering when I was messing with the pdf files I've been tweaking. I ripped off the tabs of the foot that I wasn't sure about on placement, rotated it 90 degrees, and it worked perfectly as far as looking like the original in that area. Both of the feet face forward.

Also, I didn't intend for mine to be a finished piece. It's just the first test build I've done for what we have to deal with.

Here's a revised pdf for the first page. everything seemed to work together well enough that I am now going to color everything in to make it less grainy, and try another test build when I'm done with both pages.

The flap that can be glued underneath the base is going to have white lettering on it. It originally had something to the effect of being created by chokipeta and their website. It was basically all the legal information. People can basically cut that part off and act like it doesn't exist, but I'd like to put down that it was originally by chokipeta, and that this is a modified version fromhttp://zip.4chan.org/po/imgboard.

No, those are the instructions for the Four Swords Link.
>> The Hidden Ice
Hey, guy busy with school here. I would have worked on it over spring break if my computer's power supply didn't die on me.

Anyway, in case I don't get to it faster than some other people can if. So here's the illustrator file of what I have so far. If you want to, do what you will with it.

So, any progress here?

Yeah, I finally got everything done. I did another test build, and for whatever reason, the legs look fine but they're not working with the two sqare holes on the base, so I omitted them. The tabs that are on them now tend to print out as about the same color as the base anyway.

I should probably take pictures of the finished model and upload the pictures I took of getting the tunic and legs assembled to each other, but not right now, because I'd have to make them smaller, and I'm going to choose laziness for now.

And here's page 2.

All your hard work is not going by unnoticed. Thanks!

Yeah, I realize that. If it was going by unnoticed, I would have to start a new thread to put up the final pages. Instead, this thread has been somewhere on the first 4 pages since it started. What really took me by surprise is that someone made the papercraft so quickly after I had posted it.

If you ever feel the need for a papercraft Megaman head to glue onto the body of another papercraft, I just finished one for another chokipeta recovery thread.>>43194

I think I'm going to put my first Megaman head on a servbot.
