Just getting started, and I have a question about cardstock. Is a special printer needed at all to print heavier material like this? Does the paper need to load from the back, or would a front loading printer work, when it bends the paper?

Some printers handle it, some do not. Try a piece and hope you don't break yours.

Also, paper is STRONGER THAN YOU THINK. Models CAN be made out of ordinary copy paper and still come out well. And, if you decide it's not thick enough, nothing's stopping you from gluing paper to cardstock (or a second layer of paper) to add thickness. Some papercrafts actually ask you to glue some parts to another sheet to give those particular parts more weight.

Alright, I'll pick up some cardstock on my next supply run and try it out on the couple printers I have around. I haven't had any real issues with plain copy paper, but I'd prefer cardstock for some of the nicer looking things.

Some one at my work mentioned coverstock, they said its not as thick as cardstock. What is your opinions?

Ungrateful bitch. At least be happy they sell cardstock where you live.
Goddamn it.
