The whole model is lacking the anime feel...
I know Bongo means well, he really enjoys making papercrafts, it's always a shame when a popular model subject gets people so enthustastic, that they just want to make anything related, regardless the quality: and I think the 3D model Bongo found to start with, is just not a very good one. But instead of saying anything is better than nothing, I'd wish people would just wait until they might come across a better on because this is just such a shame to have a popular model subject, but such a poor model: this will get saved and linked to when somebody asks a Naruto papercraft...

Bongo, I like your models. Sort of. Why do they all look like they are in the process of being hand-scanned with a metal detector by airport security? You work this hard on a model and they're posed so terribly. This goes for all your stuff, really.

When people (like game developers and wannabe/upcoming game developers) make 3D models for other purpose than to just make one "action screenshot"-render of it, it's easiest to store them in a standard position, apply bones and stuff, so it can be easily animated.
So when you download the model, it will be in that standard pose, and most people lack the skill to change the pose. It sounds easier than it is, just rotating the arms and stuff will look crappy. You can usually tell when somebody found a nice model and tried to give it a nice action pose but didn't really know how to do it "professionally", the pose will be awkward... ;) Pepakura is a great tool, but many people use not so good models as a starting point because they're TOO enthusiastic I think. But hey, it keeps new models coming, those to whom papercraft isn't just a phase will probably learn and improve and even these early models will make people happy, since it's such a big world. ;)

you have the wrong idea, what's the point of making a papercraft if nobody is going to assemble it. people who release paper models should refine it to the point that it's pretty easy and user friendly - bongo releases crap just to get attention. show me anybody that has actually built the models he released.

Yes, I know that that pose is the 'default' one for CGI stuff. But it looks bad when made into a papercraft model. Why should I try to change the pose? I'm not the one fucking designing them!

It doesn't look good. It looks BAD.

>what's the point of making a papercraft if nobody is going to assemble it

In the mind of a papercraft creator, such as myself, there's a very good point. I have tons of models that I dare not show you guys. Some you would want, some you would not want. I love all of my models, and the best part is, nobody's there to bitch about them! Win fucking win!

Quote: "and the best part is, nobody's there to bitch about them!"

I know! isn't awsome to have a papercraft that you designed that isn't being judged constantly? WIN!! for me too. (Its especialy cool when its Zelda papercraft!)

You're both liars, and that's okay. I forgive you.

I feel annoyed by your disbelief, but as soon as I finish testbuilding my model, I might consider uploading. By the way, its a darknut from Zelda, life sized. Nothing too awsome, but he looks cool on my desk. I'm pretty sure that it will be a bust of him, but we will see. Might be wearing his armor too. If anyone wants I could post pics tommorrow, that is if anyone is interested.

what do you mean life-sized? o_O
>> Anonymous
>>126788
Life sized would be the size it is in life, in our world, meaning the size it is on your computer screen: 3 inches. ;)

100% truth. I will now count them.

Count comes out to 17 models that I have in the editing stage, and 4 I'm making the parts for as we speak. Total of 21 models.

Really? In that case, here is a shitty cell-phone pic. The silver mask thing was three pages and the head was six. As soon as I test buid all of it, then I will post it. (I don't want to put my name on crap.>>126386
is perfect example)

>>126788by life sized i mean that it is about the size of a human head.
