hey /po/
i came here cause i heard this was the new invasion board, but kinda got intrested in this papercraft stuff going on. popped some questions into my head, what kind of paper do you use for it? thick or thin? what kind of glue do you use? just regular paperglue or something? are there a site with mani archived patterns?
help a noob out plzplzplz :(

I second the paper question. I already got some nice white glue, but regular printer paper doesn't seem up to the task.

Paper: 160-200 gsm cardstock (80 grams per square meter is regular printer paper) should be about 90-110 lbs if I'm not mistaken.
Glue: regular kindergarten paper glue, PVA glue (that white stuff like Elmer's glue) wood glue works well, steer clear of pritt sticks (usually don't hold well over time) and heat glue guns and superglue stuff (you're only trying to glue two pieces of paper together, not a piece of metal to a piece of plastic).
But in the end: what works for us works for us, you need to find out what works for you.

You are kind of going about asking for help the wrong way. "plzplzplz" is not generally how things are done, but I will nonetheless answer your questions.
1. I use scissors, any will do. (Best would be using a paper cutter)
2. For glue...I use Elmers glue, I put it on a paper towel and dab what I need with a Q-tip (Toothpicks work too)
3. For paper it depends what you do. For more advanced things I would suggest heavier paper, but for simpler things regular is fine.

I usually just use regular printer paper and white elmers glue. I tried using some postcard paper stuff that is thicker and it just made it harder.

Like I said, you should use whatever works for you.
Most /po/eple use thicker cardstock, because the final papercraft will be much sturdier if you handle it (won't buckle as easily).

If you score all the folds properly, it won't be any more difficult to fold even tiny parts. And cardstock also curves just as easily as regular paper.
Use regular printer paper if you simply don't have cardstock, or because it's cheaper than cardstock, but cardstock isn't more difficult to fold or curve, that's just your skills (and patience perhaps). ;)

I know I sounded like more of an asshole than I intended to be, but I just get tired of seeing things like "plzplzplz" Granted it's the first time I saw it here, but on other websites people type a whole paragraph like this, "hey wat paper do i use 4 dis thick? thin? what glue? i want papercrafts plz help plzplzplzplz" (I was not intending to bash the OP there, cause OP typed a lot better than that.) and if I offended people for being more of an asshole than intended, I apologize.

I wasn't aware it was being a fag to apologize when you have done wrong.

Pretty much sums it up.

Scolding someone in a very pleasant manner, and still giving help.

>>78687
A /b/tard trying to make trouble in the neighborhood.

>>78695
Apologizing because he thought he was acting a little rash. When he was justified in his actions and didn't need to apologize, but still did.

>>78707
Expecting a lash out of anger instead of an apology, the anon panics and comes up an extremely lame response.

>>78718
Getting some lulz from a /b/tard getting owned by a /p/apercrafter(not that there is anything wrong with that.
