However most of the models in the book involve cutting and/or multiple sheets and glue, so those of us who are more advanced in the ways of origami/are more purist tend to shun those types of models. I myself think you can do whatever you want, though when I fold I am kind of a purist (don't like cutting or gluing). However I do think making cuts or gluing a model can be quite useful to origami beginners and children until they develop more advanced skills, so I see cutting and gluing as sort of like training wheels for origami. As for papercraft, the PokePera site (don't have the link but someone else probably does) has Eevee and Vaporeon at least. Browse it and see if there's anything relevant to your interests there :)
