I remember this being a mindfuck image sometime ago, although I can't figure out exactly why...

Firstly, the model is based on M.C. Escher's "Waterfall" picture.

Secondly, that's not a papercraft, though a papercraft of it does exist somewhere.

Thirdly, if you look at the top channel for the water, it's not actually connected to the one beneath it.
