Hey /po/ I've not made any papercraft models in about 5 years, use to make them as a kid. So /po/ your advice, what's the best paper/glue/cutting blade to use?

i use 110 lb card stock, xacto knife, elmer's and super glue
cutting board is good to use, also small metal ruler for cutting and bending tabs, small stick comes in handy for poking at tabs and for support from inside. also pre bend and shape stuff before gluing, thats it from me

/po/ is MORE THAN ONE PAGE -- check the other pages before asking, okay?

This is NEVER going to change. It's either:
1) a new noob every time: so they won't know about you saging some thread long before they ever got here so even if they would have wanted to care, they couldn't since they wouldn't know about it...
2) it's the same guy sometimes, that actually thinks it's funny to read your angry sage reaction and decides to make a new similar thread just to see you do it again.

Some noobs check the other pages, some are too stupid to do so, or too lazy, or they just feel like they're too good for that or something. That's how it is and that's how it will be since that's how people are.
Answer them, or don't (ignore them). I think those are the best two options; it's not only trolls that fuck up boards, it's also people that mean well, but care TOO much sometimes. ;)

Yeah, I know... just felt like venting there. Besides, now if someone does it again, I'll just go "See>>84249" or "See>>84292" and be done with it.

Good luck, those bars on the birdcage look like they won't last very long because they're so thin...
At least with me they wouldn't last long... X^[

Actually, we need a permanent sticky saying something among the lines of:
"glue: Elmer's, Super Glue for gluing edges, more opinions;
paper: 160gsm/110lbs, can use regular printer paper if one is fine with a bit less durable models, more opinions;
blade: X-acto, !! blades, more opinions;
blah blah"
And by ``more opinions'' I mean the regular, less common answers to these threads.

Yeah, but every time we have a links or FAQ sticky, it unstickies and doesn't get put back, or folks don't read it.

No doubt. This is a "handle with care" papercraft to say the least. And definitely not one to be made of cardstock; the added thickness from the card would make the parts not fit together!
