Didn't build it myself, but I always figured this one wasn't supposed to have fold lines: instead of scoring and folding, you curve the papercraft?

I do this anyway on lots of my papercrafts that are of things that are alive, but I fold on robotic stuff.

I think it makes it look more lifelike. :)

It kinda depends on the papercraft: sometimes the folds are so awkward that you can't just bend/curve them, but you really need to score and fold them.

Most of the time, though, if all of the folds are mountains, you can just curve instead of scoring. Valley folds usually break this.

It also depends on how big the parts are (small parts usually don't lend themselves very well for this) and the way the parts need to be folded: especially when they need to be folded in two different directions, when you don't score and fold them for very crisp folds, the paper 'warps' in ways you don't want it to...
