Recommended papers and glue, Plox? I just started last week and I've been doing okay just printing them on normal paper and using white glue. :( But now they're sagging a bit.

I use a glue stick (not recommended) and an exacto knife (very recommended)

Good luck. I just started, too. Try some of the salad fingers models. They're fairly simple.

Use less glue, perhaps? Maybe move up to light cardstock? Models shouldn't sag unless there's too much glue used or they're so large that cardstock is needed to keep them together.

Hmm, okay thanks. Its just when I have such tiny tabs to stick together even a little glue really makes it pretty damp. So I was thinking of using something more quick drying and/or thicker paper that wouldn't get damp.

You're using too much glue if that happens. Watch the tutorial; apply a very thin layer of glue with a piece of scrap paper, and apply it to where the tab goes, not to the tab itself.
>> Double stick tape is good Fantasty
Double stick tape is good for begginers, because you can "undo" it if you don't like it and add more if it's not sticky though, No sagging. if you need it to fit a certain shape, cut it out with scizzors (sp?)I started out with it, and am getting a couple rolls for my brother this christmas so he can finally start papercrafts.

(If the tabs are too small on "ANY" papercraft increase it as your exacto-knifing it out.)

Tape usually backfires in papercrafts... craft glues such as Aleene's Tacky Glue gives plenty of strength when used properly... and doesn't add thickness to the connecting flaps.

I started recently and I use normal printer paper and regular white glue, but I just put a little bit and apply it with a toothpick and it doesn't sag at all, you must be doing it wrong.

Okay Okay :P Too much glue I got it. Thanks again.
>> backfires? Fantasty
Have you ever used double tape?

It works wonderfully, and could you tell me how it backfires?
>> TSONTS !!u7H15vJR6mX
Yeah, I've used it; I found that the thickness of the tape was enough to throw off the seams of the model, and readjustments would damage the edges, plus make it so the model would fall apart after a while from the weight of the paper/card pulling at the adhesive. I tried two or three types of doublesided tape before calling it a total failure and trying other glues.

What brand of tape are you using? If you found one that is reliable, I'll pick up a roll and give it another shot.
>> how do you put together paper crafts? Fantasty
I used the scotch type, but i can see where your coming from, if you're unsecure about the stickyness, possibly let the strip sit out on the table/platform for awhile to let it become "less" sticky.

the scotch type again

It has been a while since I tried tape (about 10-11 months), so perhaps I should give it another try to be fair. Next time I'm picking up more craft supplies, I'll grab some tape.
