Hey /po/
Have a present. I dunno if someone wants to test-build first, i'm not sure if it works, but it should be okay.
>> Cooper
Oops, forgot to mention, this was made as a practice build for newbies, and to test how well i could amke anything at all in MSPaint.

Looks fine to me.
Though Glueing flaps could be *a lot* bigger.
Some people are smart enough to just cut them bigger when cutting out the part, though. Newbies will probably cut out exactly on the black lines.

I recommend working on that decepticon logo. I tried to make the autobot one around that size, and it was a bitch, too. So, i dont know if it is doable.

?
This is a basic box, with six sides. What problems did you encounter with the logo??

I do believe this is just the tape. Yes it's a basic box, the glueing tabs are in the right place. It is buildable.

nope... transformed version of soundwave.
The tape was a red bird creature.
It's model would be totally different. (It'd be somewhat redder) ;)

The box was not what I had issue with. I tried to make an autobot logo in MSPaint a while back about that size, and it is very difficult to get then angles right for clean looking logo when you are only using 20x20 pixels. For instance, the decepticon logo here sucks balls.

A- make model larger
B- learn how to MSPaint
my example almost small enough

hmm... any thoughts on the bevel on the center top piece's bottom?
i chose quad, 3 triangles, quad ... giving it a more pointed shape, rather than carrying down the squared front to a 3x quad.
basically: bottom center point or bottom center edge?

I had some free time last night. ^^
I'm still working on it, but this's as far as I've gotten so far. (am using the toy sitting on my desk as a nice up close detail reference. ^_^)

You know, if you rework the folds and the layout, you could make this into a functional box, or like a case for cards or cigs. Just a thought.
>> Anonymous
Just a thought. Why don't you increase the resolution? Or even better, you might find this a good way to learn a vector drawing program such as Inkscape.

does /po/ want a decepticon logo?

Well, actually you of all people should know /po/ is greedy, so we want both. ;)

NICE. I was thinking about it too hard... and trying to make a chiseled look or otherwise non-boxy thing. that looks good though. :)
