Hello, I have always wanted to get involved with papercraft (such as making 3d models out of printed designs). I have started a motercycle in the past (with regular printing paper and a non colored printer) and i stopped because it didnt work out to good.

Anyways, what type of printer should you have to do papercraft? Will any color printer do? A photo printer? What type of paper (can u get it from office max or any websites your reccomend for both?)

Thanks alot!

office max is where I get all of my stuff... I use regular 24# HP-brand Bright White paper. Sounds complicated, but it's not.

ANY printer that can print a straight line is fine, the color is all up to what you want.

by the way, I think you should start out with a project that's a little easier than a motorcycle, of course.

ok, so any color printer will work....

What would you recomend for me to first try? That is after i get my printer.

well I suppose that all depends on how far you got with the motorcycle- if you crashed and burned, I'd suggest something much simpler than if you just stopped because you didn't understand a part or two through the middle of it, but did OK otherwise.

I did pretty decent with the motercycle, but when it came down to the tires regular printing paper is to flimsly.

Also printer quality doesnt matter?
