scoring, tweezers

Scoring is for failures.

About a month ago, I started folding my cardstock using a metal straightedge. I place the straightedge behind the model's fold line, and then I press the fold against the edge. My models look better than ever, and there are none of those ugly-ass white scratches. Or as I like to call them, "faggotlines".

Maybe you were scoring with a knife? Mechanical pencils with no lead give you precision and no white lines at all.

I agree with>>99821, straight edge folding is superior to any type of scoring.

I use a dead ball point pen that I removed the ink tube out of and flushed the head thinner until the ink was gone. Creases the fold lines with no cutting or tearing... One really long straight pieces I use a ruler as well. I prefer wood or plastic rulers... I find metal ones in my climate oxodize quickly and leave a black residue...
