Anyone know where I can buy Bondo Fibreglass resin in London? Or anywhere in south England for that matter - no online ordering though, it has to be in person.

Looking to resin some of my pep models to make them hardhardhard.

Help appreciated.

If you just want fiberglass resin then it doesnt have to be bondo, it's just a brand that's big in america.. i am from up north in england and i just went down to the wholesaler for car parts and stuff and picked up a tin of resin and some hardener for a few pounds. somewhere like halfords might do it or anywhere that sells stuff for cars might have it. also try hobby places because it is used for boats and similar things.

i used it for a halo helmet and it makes a big difference with the resin on, but when i put actual fiberglass matting in it went SOLID.. seriously if what you are hardening is big and you can get to the inside of it consider getting some sheets of fiberglass as well becuase it will really add alot of strength.

you have to be carefull using this stuff, make sure you are outside or somewhere really ventilated and dont get any in your eyes or anything stupid like that.

Question about the fibreglass matting - Can it be put on the outside if the piece and then sanded down, or should it just be used on the inside? Would it be better to use some sort of modelling clay for shaping on the outside?

No, you want to fiberglass the inside. It needs a certain thickness, and while it might not be much, it's enough to destroy any level of detail you'll want.

You know what? Just go here:

These people pretty much do nothing but use Pepakura to make fiberglass Halo armor.
