Neck bone conected to the ... WTF? Anonymous
Has anyone completed the Pepakura dragon? I'm trying to peice it together now, and there's not much in the form of direction as to which part goes where!
Help, please?
>> Anonymous
well i figured youd know what your doing, i mean it looks like its just obvious in a way
>> Anonymous
surprisingly not that obvious - not all the parts are labeled and not placed on printing sheet in attachment order.
>> Anonymous
If I'm stuck, I'll usually label the piece on the back (head, arm, etc) and work on another. Then you can tell what tabs fit together if the model was designed well.
>> Anonymous
You've not had a go at this on, have you? It's REALLY not that clear - the parts are NOT labeled, apart from that first page in the pic. You have to figure out where the rest goes together.

I plan to make this eventually (within a month). When I do, I'll be sure to make some instructions.

OP is right, there are parts of the template not labeled, e.g.: which parts are the feet? and what's that little piece on page 3of6?
>> Anonymous

Some of the parts have no attachment tabs ... WTF?

Big deal, just make them yourself. You should have loads of wastepaper.
>> Thanks Anonymous
I wondered where you can find this dragon model as I have search both the English and Japanese forums but with no luck.
>> Anonymous
hmmm you mean 384 KB, PDF, Pepakura Dragon.pdf
in No.135808 here

I see what OP means - has anyone completed this model? Because it's not going together very well for me either.
>> Anonymous
Where ARE the feet?!!
>> Anonymous
Okay, now I'm curious. Dammit, I'm supposed to be doing my homework, not a paper dragon! Oh well.

I can only get about this far with the thing. It looks like two other parts fit together to start making the middle part of the foot, but that leaves 3 other pieces I have no clue what to do with.

There is a triangular hole on either side of the body where the arms are supposed to fit. The piece for the back makes a "T" shape. The wings fit onto the intersection of the T, and the tail attaches to the bottom of the back/T shape.

Me too! This template is so fucked up! It's definitely incomplete and missing a whole lot of tabs.

All the charms of pepakura.

There are plenty of shitty paper models made without using Pepakura, it simply opens up the door for more users. It's like cable tv: the multitude of new channels (model makers) means more gems to find, but also new loads of crap to sift through.

pepakura is good for business. more shit is always better, and pepakura helps wannabe papercrafters output total shit at epic levels not before seen.
I work at a sewage treatment plant. A message to all of you LAY THE FUCK OFF THE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS YOU BRAIN DAMAGED HYPOCHONDRIACS! It messes up our system.

I'm not sure I'm following you nonsensical ranting, but I'm pretty sure that the dragon in this thread is the OFFICIAL Pepakura design.

Therefore, being the flagship, one would think that it would be complete and perfect, not a GREAT HEAP OF BOLLOCKS!

Oh anonymous, you always see the witty irony in every situation.

I think I remember reading here over a year ago that when you get the official version of Pepakura Designer, these were the four models that came with it as promotional templates. So finding out that the template for their mascot can only be partially completed is rather funny.

At least it's an animal that could get stuck in a tarpit. That would make up for everything below the thighs being almost nonexistant.

> official Pepakura = GREAT HEAP OF BOLLOCKS!
fix'd
ITT proof that pepakura helps retards "make" papercraft, evidence from tamasoft itself.
>> Anonymous
oh brilliant. Waste of time and harddrive space for downloading this model.

Apparently you're not understanding this. Perhaps another analogy?

Automobiles are a great form of transportation, essentially granting an individual the ability to travel anywhere s/he chooses without dependence upon another. However, it has its drawbacks. For example, little Billy Jones was killed last week in a collision with a car driven by a drunk driver.

Who do you blame for the death of the boy?

A. The drunk driver
B. The car

In the same way that I don't blame your internet browser for you being a complete fucktard or troll, you can't blame Pepakura for shitty users.

That being an official Pepakura model is lawlworthy as fuck, but proves Pep sucks as much as 3DSMax's included textures means it's a sub-par 3d modeling and animation prog.
