Plus, is there a Mr. Tadakichi papercraft anywhere?
>> Anonymous
any Azumanga, I'm sure would be more than excellent. The only ones I've seen are the other Osaka and Chiyo-chichi

Uh...that's what the thread is about. I figure sometime I want to make normal Azumanga figures. I'll work on it after I finish building all my backlog.

their lzh, which is just another one of those crazy archiving protocols... even I usually just see them with kisakae dolls.

I can change them to zip archives if you like
>> Anonymous
>>72014
The archive file or what's inside them?

The archives are just lha, which is one thing, but I have no idea what to do with these .rok files, either. But looking at them, they seem to be just 3D models.

the link is on the site for the program he used. and I didn't even have to translate to figure that out.

isn't that a colored version of Wolfs Chii?

If someone figures out how to download their free version(it does exist according to the other site) could you please megaupload it.

Ok, so it lets you export as a *.dfx, which you can import into blender. Tried it, but I don't have the processing power for it to work (i.e. my laptop overheated.. :`( ... )

Anyone else want to take a stab at this?
>> Anonymous
The Kagura on that site fails. She doesn't have the hair on her cheeks. The Chiyo winter uniform is the wrong color. I REALLY want to make these in a way that is accurate and I like.
>> Anonymous
Does anyone have the Chiyo in the penguin suit? I had it once but I lost it in a reformat :(

could someone please megaupload the usable models? And I don't just mean the azumanga ones. I can't get that program to work foe me at all.

need some help here, veterans, i got 3 ?'s... (all relating to screencap posted, cuz i'm lazy right now)

1: it says I have to enter the pass before saving/exporting it. is that something in the .dxf file? and if so, does the poster of those rapids have the passes for all these? and can anyone tell me where to enter the passes in pepakura? i couldn't find the option.

2: why the heck are the colors so messed up? did the person who made the model not color well (or at all)? or do .dxf files ruin colors? and how can i fix that? i tried inverting, etc. i really don't feel like going in and changing the color of every square.

3. you can see the assembled size in the bottom right: 5.4cm X 3.6cm X 2.7cm... is that a good size for this craft, or does it need to be bigger? and if so, every time i try increasing it 10% more each time, there's always part of a piece (or several pieces) that are half on one page, half on another.

i would've just popped the .pdf's on here as they are when i unfold them, but as i said, i have no passes.

any ideas on these problems would be appreciated.

>>72289
yea, that's me... apparently the pass is a key... didn't know you hafta pay for pepakura...

need help on the other two still though...

get a print to pdf program
>> Anonymous
>>72289

you could always, instead of trying to figure out how to export to pdf and all that, just take screenshots of the thing in pepakura and shift them around in paint or whatever
>> Anonymous
>>72336
That way sucks ass.

Just get CutePDF or another program like it. they really do work.
>> Anonymous
>>72291
Um, nooooo That's the summer uniform, supposed to be blue. The long sleeve one is pink.
>> Anonymous
>>72290yea, that's me... apparently the pass is a key... didn't know you hafta pay for pepakura...
The "buy password" page should have tipped you off, it clearly states you the save and export features are disabled until you buy the password: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/buy_password/index.html
You can work around this by "printing to pdf" or by copying the development to the clipboard and then pasting it into an image editing program.

Question 2: yes, the dxf format probably messed up the textures... If you can export to obj instead, try that. It seems it's the best method to convert 3D models while conserving the UV texture map coordinates.

3. Testbuild it. If it's big enough, fine. If it's not, increase the size (you can input the size manually by going into the 2D development menu, then choose Set development to specified size and then input a size in cm. This size will be the height on the Y-axis (lowest point to highest point, probably sole of the shoes to the top of her hair, if the axis aren't messed up as well, doesn't look like they are though).
If the parts get half on way page, half on the other: just fix that. Right click in the development window and you'll get a context menu, there's an option "move parts" amongst others. Use it to move the parts so they're not on two pages.

>>72503
they both turn out pink on the 3D model
>> Anonymous
>>72564
I did notice that. On the site they're both blue and on 3D they're both pink. The thing was that he screencapped the summer uniform, trying to tell me it was the right color in what he had but it wasn't. Very dumb of him. Or you if you were the poster. Protip: WATCH AZUMANGA, or at least image search it.

>>72592
I own the box set too. I haven't seen it in a while either....still know that. ANYWAY...just saying...that the wrong colors uniforms would REALLY make you look all nooby. That is if you're actually planning on making them into papercrafts. It's nice to be accurate with these things.
>> Anonymous
>>72597
I can't make them into papercrafts. I'm not good enough with textures.
