how long does the avg papercraft last on regular paper and regular inkjet printer? in my experience they can decay quickly.

what do you guys use for optimal papercraft life?

maybe try spraying the finished piece with sealant or workable fixative

I mostly use card stock and laser printing, with no noticable decay after 3-5 years

Looking at 7 years with dust and no fading from inkjet, but I don't tape them to a sunny window, idiot.

maybe he's just using really shitty materials?

I have some six years old and more, no attrition except if the cat knocks them over. Some commercially printed, some printed with a weird wax-dot process, some inkjet, some laser printed. As for fading, direct sunlight is death. Acidic paper is death. Nothing on paper you care about should be exposed for long to direct sunlight; UV filters help. At this rate, my paper models will last at least as long as they need to. I use Wausa Exact Index, for what its worth.
