Define "buildable". ;)
From the looks of it, using the parts you could build the gun. But it doesn't look really optimized for papercraft. For one thing, I assume this is supposed to be 1:1 or at least bigger than normal papercrafts, and it's just an empty shell, which means no internal support. It would have been better if it was made in "box-like sections" so that it would be strengthened a bit, and would also be easier and more fun to build.
But it does look buildable (except for the one cylinder part but that's no big deal, just don't build it) and it doesn't have a texture, but I think it does have UV data so if you have the texture (jpg, tga, bmp image) you could load it.

how deep a well do you live in?

OP here:
i'm not a gamer, and anything more advanced than a fighter like smash bros is too tough and annoying to figure out

anyone with designer want to see if this is locked?
also.
can papercrafts be reverse engineered form something like this where we already have the .pdo?

Someone has made a weapon like this (papermass and something IIRC), I remember seeing it on hbo.org.

Ahha, I remember seeing it. It's technically not papercraft but it's made of cardboard: http://nikon.bungie.org/misc/finnish_spartan_ar5/

It's not locked, so you could change the cuts and folds, and load the textures if you have it (it appears to have the UV data).
Pepakura Designer does have basic 3D modelling options, but it would be much more preferable to make the changes needed to better it in the 3D obj file beforehand, not in the pdo file itself; Making the pdo file should just be the one last final step, not the first.

i have a pepakura file for MA5C which is pretty much the same design, its just from halo 3 instead of the original.
you'll need to get pepakura viewer if you dont already have it.

halos a pretty cool guy

I KNOW it's not the same, and I KNOW it's not from Halo. But it looks similar, and pretty darn impressive, and someone's kid brother probably won't know the difference.
