What kind of glue does /po/ use? I want to try to better my papercraft, even though I'm not really good at it, and the second step, after paper, is better glue.

I use crappy Elmer's glue. Hard to glue with, especially since it almost seems to stain white paper o_o

youre doing it wrong.

There are FAQs all over the place, but I'll humor you. Aleene's Tacky Glue, and use hardly any.

For gluing techniques, watch http://www.yamaha-motor.co.jp/global/entertainment/papercraft/howto/index.html

WRONG! You're either

A)Using regular printer paper
B)Using WAY too much glue
C)Both

Elmer's is extremely easy to use, you just don't use a lot. If it's leaving stains, then you're using way too much. I've used Elmer's forever, and it's never failed me.

I use plain ol' polyvinylacetate. wood glue.

Also, /po/ just got reamed.

Most North American modelers use Elmer's or Aleene's Tacky glue; they are both PVA (polyvinly acetate) based glues with water, and must be used sparingly, especially since water wrinkles paper. Aleene's has less water. A lot of European modelers like the solvent based Uhu, or Uhu Alleskleber, which has no water, doesn't wrinkle paper, and dries into a rubbery, stringy, film, like rubber cement. You can get some Uhu brands in NA, but not the good solvent based stuff. I found something similar at a craft store, "Zip Dry paper glue," it might be worth trying if PVA is not your thing.

I use Hollander's bookbinding PVA.

I use YES! paste. It's a really thick paste that is easy to apply in thin layers and works wonderfully.

i use Tacky Glue, sometimes with a slight 2-1 dilute so i can use a small paintbrush to spread it on tiny tabs and stuff.

I love that stuff, only problem is that stuff dissolves purple-ish printer ink. :|

I use glue sticks. You have to be careful when using them, because they can dry out. I would say it's very difficult to put too much on, and you have to be careful to not apply too little, or your model can fall apart. There is also no issue of getting soggy paper or color running.

In summary: easy to use, but takes a bit of practice and is easy to handle. Does not pick up colors.
