The 100+ pages one...
Did Wolf fix it yet..? Otherwise, I have some serious bad news... The old one (that came with the helmet rapidshare I think that's where you got it..?) is unbuildable: there are a lot of overlapping parts, so you'd end up with holes in your papercraft...

Ouch, 100+ pages of cardstock and red ink wasted...
That's why it's okay to bitch sometimes and demand quality...

can this thing fit your whole body? cuz that would be so hot, run around in a paper iron man costume lol

If you scale it up, why not? But not the 100 pages version it is now, it's not 1:1 scale like the helmet (the helmet alone is around 10 pages). And in any case: the template needs fixing before you can build it.

It's probably the one that has the overlapping parts; seeing as that's the only version released so far...
(100+ means "a lot", not so much "more than a hundred pages" lol)
You could try, but I'm quite sure it's unbuildable (since the parts overlap, they use the same piece of paper, but of course, they can't in this space-time continuum. Difficult to explain in words, but I hope I'm making sense ;)

will somebody upload the fixed version

please please would somebody upload the fixed version

The model is buildable. There are only a few minor overlaps, which shouldn't effect the final piece... I am working on the revised version, but my time has been severly limited the past couple weeks.

Personaly, I seldom print anything more 4 or 5 pages in color. I find it's best to print just the outlines, then paint the assembled model with spray or brush... It gives you a much cleaner look than trying to do it all in ink, not to mention considerably cheaper.

Yeah it's *buildable* but if there's overlaps, there will be holes in the final model???

can somebody tell me is the Helmet wearable? if it is how do you make it wearable? as there are no tabs to stick the peaces together
>> Anonymous
please can somebody help this possible to wear

The helmet should be a "generic 1:1" but of course it all depends on the size/shape of your head. ;)
There are three seperate pieces: helmet, face-plate, and chin-part. I guess you could use some strings and puncture a few holes in each part, then sort of tie them together. Shouldn't be too difficult.
I think if there were glueing tabs and you would glue the three parts together, then try to put it over your head, you would tear it apart: the "helmet" includes part of the neck, and your neck is smaller than the rest of your head, so the only way is to put on the three pieces seperately.

I'm not getting pissed, I just wish some people would look before they leap... This was my first model of this scale, so of course there are a few mistakes. They'll be fixed on the new version.
The parts are continued on another sheet. Everything is there, you just have to lay out each set in order before cutting. You'll see a 'column/row' at the bottom of each page, which tells you where each page goes.
I'll make sure the new version doesn't have any parts bigger than one page, so there will be less confusion. Also, the model is sized for 8.5" x 11" paper. This may make a difference for people trying to make this outside the US...

wolf what size is that in the UK
>> Wolf
Ummm... 8.5 inches by 11 inches, Same as here... LOL ;)

You might have to do the same thing I have to do when I do an 'A4' sized model... Get the next size larger paper & trim it down. Sometimes the acrobat 'fit to page' works fine, but I've had it destort some models so they didn't fit right.

cheers no problem Wolf, do you know when the model will be released?

>>44528I just wish some people would look before they leap...
I wish you did lol... You've been on 4Chan for some time now, you know damn well people here don't look before they leap lol. If the model still has mistakes, then DON'T RELEASE IT. Because people WILL print it, there's no warning it's a beta version or something, and they WILL NOT look first and notice the mistakes. If a model is released, people WILL assume it's all good and finished.
The parts that got cut off should be fixable with some scotch tape.
The best way to fix the overlapping parts I think, is to print out the page twice, and cut out the piece you're missing, then glue it on etc....
But c'mon... The version as it is is NOT a good papercraft, instead of trying to convince people everything is fixable, I think you should just tell them to wait for the final, fixed version. Yes, they'll have to wait, but if you feel sorry for them having to wait, I'd feel much sorrier for them frustrating them with papercraft that needs so much fising on the builder's part. I for one will much rather wait a while (a week, a month, a year a deca... no, scrap that, not a decade... by then I'd have made my own ;) and have a GOOD papercraft.
