This could be a repost, but I found where you can make your own T-Boy Hoody, or Spiky Baby.
http://www.ohashi-lab.bse.kyutech.ac.jp/~shin/
You just gotta email the creator (email address at top) and he'll send you a blank template.

OP is T-Boy Hoody

You already asked him a blank template?

>>29037
No I don't wanna.
You have you send him you finished artwork, and mine will suck, lol.

>>29038
That was exactly my thought as well. My work will suck as well. XD

Woooho, cool!

I think I'm going to ask him one.

I finally got around to working on the design for one last night. Yes, it's a repost, but you at least read the website, which never happened in the last thread about this. I'm currently working on a fan template for a spiky baby, but I haven't sent for the template yet. I want to have a basic pattern finished first, and then mess with it how I want to for the finished product. Also, it makes certain that I will actually do it once I've gotten the blank template.

Sounds prety cool.
I knew I would probably just like draw a crappydesingn in Paint or something, lol
>> Anonymous
I'd rather get to see the template first. Asking for the template and having to send the result is not something a lot of people would like to do. No-one has the template from him already?

>>29094

Back again. You can get a random final product from him for free just by clicking on the appropriate link on the website. I think only the Spiky Baby is available right now. I think someone stated that if you wanted all of him, you could simply email him and ask for the templates. They're not usually mass distributed online or anything. Just something for strangers to collaborate on.

From the Spiky Baby I've downloaded and put together before, the template is password protected, so the password would be necessary to modify it. The instructions for working back and forth say that you send the pattern back to him and he will send you back the final template, which he will build one of and put it up on his website. Even if he did give out the password for modifying the template, I personally wouldn't share the original. I would possibly print it and scan it in again, or do something to greatly reduce the template from the original quality. But the original is his work, and he's being kind enough to try this form of collaboration online.

With how nice and simple his website is, I can't help but wonder if he is or ever has been in webdesign. He seems to have all the tools for it.

In addition to asking for the template, he also states that you have to tell him a little bit about yourself and why you're interested in doing this. It is an online form of collaboration. He calls it this himself and treats it as such. He won't be completely oblivious to who you are or what you're doing. If you give him a nice summary of yourself, he'll probably do more collaborations with you and trust that you're not just out to steal a simple template.

Come to think of it, if anyone is new to papercraft and wants a template for beginners, the Spiky Baby would work really well. Or any of the models from his site. He makes sure that there isn't much to putting them together, since he will always put the finished product together himself and show it on his website.

Here's a version of what I'm working on for the Spiky Baby.

You could find patterns online and modify them somewhat to make them your own. Also, if anyone's interested in at least making the design partway, I have some patterns that I collected from a website about 2 months ago. It was one of ming-ling's websites. I think she said they came from fabric and paper she had that she thought was beautiful enough to scan in and put online. Of course, this also means that it's not all that legal to use them directly, but it's usually fine by people if you take an idea and mess with it until it's a bit different from the original. The fan design I posted a moment ago is one such case. This pic is what I took it from.
