Need help. I have a bird base... now what?

(Basically, more detailed instructions would be great, this is for anyone out there who wants to help a noob.)

It involves a few steps, but it's relatively simple in terms of origami. That's why it's been used so often that it's been given the name bird base. Origami usually requires visual instructions to help clarify what's going on. It's also a good craft to learn from someone else.

OP here.

The thing that got me was folding the wings correctly.

Obviously, reading instructions is good, but not knowing that the mountain and valley have specific line patterns seriously hindered my progress. However, upon discovery of the -.- meaning mountain fold, the rest of the model was relatively easy.

Also, a bird base is made by petal folding two sides of a square base.
