Long time lurkers, first time posters here.
We present you, our first finished papercrafts!
Cats and Moot done by the girlfriend (I hope 'no wimmins on the internets' doesn't count here), Goomba done by the boyfriend.
Any comments, /po/?

Also, considering these were mainly tests but got us really interested in doing more, any specific material (certain brands or whatever) /po/ can advice us to get?

For first attempts, looks good! For 99 percent of all papercrafts, standard copier paper works perfectly well. If a piece seems to be floppy, you can always glue the pieces to a second layer of paper to add depth. Then, in the future, you can use regular cardstock. You don't NEED to use cardstock or any special brand of paper... unless you want to preserve them - then you'll need thicker stock.

As for glue, Aleene's Tacky Glue seems to be the most favored glue on /po/.

My advise is thus :-

When making a more complex model think carefully about how all the bits fit together later.

Also be very aware it is easily to make a part in such a way that you can't finish it. I test fold the part together and work out the order in which the parts should be glued together.

Don't rush through a model take your time, also if a part/model is starting to annoy you put and down and do another one.

Buy a decent pair of dressmaking sissors with a pointy end. They are good for cleaning up or if you are like me doing all the cuts.

That's a very crisp and clean image for such a high resolution. What camera do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for the tips on how to do the stuff later at more advanced papercrafts. We'll make sure to keep an eye out on those things from now on.

Well, it's a simple Sony Cybershot (DSC S600), there's several products in the Cybershot series, they're pretty cheap and good all-around cameras.

Could you upload the model for the moot figure? It wasn't included in my papercraft-for-retards set, which all of your others were in.
