OP here- Thanks, I tried Cardboy today with regular paper and it was a mess.. Got him up and sitting there all cute like though :P

P.S Anyone have the link to the snake in a box?
>> Anonymous
OP here one more time- What do you guys use to cut the paper? Scissors i find are a bit too bulky for the finer smaller pieces. Any special small cutting tools?

I don't have a snake in a box, but I scared a lady with the snake in my drawer.

Small scissors and x-acto knives.

Some models have the paper advice in them, some on the website, it also appears repeatedly in blogs, messageboards, grouplists, and cardmodeling FAQs.
Yet there are still these fucking moronic dependant personalities that absolutely can not comprehend the first level basics of cardmodeling unless they get to feel special by having their own devil blessed god damned fucking own thread to answer a juvenile question that is answered for in single sentences thousands of times across the internet.
They're just doing it to masturbate on the messageboard because of total incapability to find anything on the web themselves except pornography.

Thanks, Sry for all the questions, im a total noob at /po/ and want to learn how to do it well.

Everyone started somewhere, you retard - even if his choice to start on 4chan isn't a common one.

I first found about papercrafting by checking out boards in 4chan I had never visited before. It was a life-changing event. Gotta love /po/.

>>67903
Don't be such a wimp, like other anon said, everyone has to start somewhere. These noob threads will keep appearing every now and then. If you don't like it, ignore it! /po/ is such a slow board, that one instruction thread once a week won't bother others.

Conclusion: Let's all try and keep /po/ the nice and friendly place it is. Let's get that good ole community spirit up and quit nibbling on each other.

Anonymous speaks the truth. I found a love for papercraft in exactly the same way, and most of my first products were snagged from this board.

You're right about this board, it must be the friendliest board I've ever been on (which in truth is unsettling).

/po/ was the first board, and reason why, I came to 4chan. Now i'm part /b/tard. And its the friendliest board on here by far.

From which Hell did you come from? Iraq?
Obviously you have not been here very long, or are already a hardened criminal.

in comparison to /b/ and /gif/, this place is like a utopia

Snake in the box is posted somewhere here. And if you just would've looked for it, you would've found it here:

Wausau Exact Index 110lb cardstock paper is great for most papercrafts. Plus it comes in a variety of colours – printing a zaku on pink paper will give you stunning colour richness – and it is cheap, you can often find a 150 or 300 sheet pack for $2 or $3.75 respectively.

For really high importance crafts, the type you are planning on putting every ounce of care and attention into, I suggest Hayada 122lb papercraft paper in satin finish. It is a highly compressed paper, so it has the weight of a 122 but the thickness of a 115. This stuff is expensive (about $1 for 10 sheets), but if you print out your files on the highest possible settings and have lots of ink on the ready, it will deliver a fucking perfect print and the weight and give is the best I have ever encountered; stiff, cuts cleanly, holds a fold without crackling along the edge, absorbs ink well without bleeds, watershapes well, burns very slowly in comparison to other papers, dents from an embosser really sharply, and is sandable without fuzzing. And for those lucky enough to find some in Japan, it comes in metallic silver and gold that has the same satin, printable surface (my ten pack of A4 silver cost $5 about).

Let me give you an example of how friendly this place is.
I'm still here.
Banning never stopped me.

Actually yes, I have just come from Iraq, but that's not the point...

Before I get "LOL 4CHAN TOLERANCE", I just mean it has a lot more community spirit - if someone asks for a template it usually shows up within the first 5 images posts. Other boards you have to put up with about 50 image macro meme posts, and 20 "FUCK OFF/GB2BED" posts.

>>68203
But where can you find these papers?

>>68041

Yeah, this place actually has girls in.

By far the nicest board here.

Although I've never visited /y/. I'm guessing that's filled with poncy weaboo guys and girls.

But yeah.

Yeah. Banning doesn't work on me either. I'm hooked up to a Wireless router that keeps changing my IP address.
