Issei Super Complex Origami Anonymous
I'm looking for Issei Yoshino's book, Issei Super Complex Origami. Does anyone have it?

(I can provide some pretty great stuff in return)

I want this too. Sadly, the only books that I've seen on the torrents and on /po/ have been the tentidan convention books, lang's design secrets, kamiya's book, and a couple of minor books and pdf instructions. A pity theres no forum to trade book scans. If you see anything you want, offer a trade, or ask nicely and hope I'm feeling generous. I want new books or cp.

I have all of those. In fact, I think I'm the reason you have like four of those.

Thing is I used to have that book. But I loaned it to a friend years ago and never got it back.

I'm sure there's a ton of stuff on rapidshare/megaupload, but since there's no real way to search (that I know of) they're pretty hard to find. Same for ftp archives.

If you are the source of any of the books I have, thanks are in order! Anything else that you want that I could try to get, or have that I don't?

You're welcome. Yeah, I do have a lot that you don't have. I'd really prefer a trade of sorts, something that benefits me.

Diagrams I'm seriously seeking include Issei Super Complex Origami and Marc Kirschenbaum's Paper in Harmony (Both of which I had in hard copy, but after loaning to friends I no longer have). Also looking for Hideo Komatsu's Giraffe diagrams and Satoshi Kamiya's Hermit Crab diagrams (the two latest JOAS member special issues), and any Tanteidan magazines after 100. I also want Kirschenbaum's new book Origami Bugs, but I'll probably buy that. It's just re-buying those I think out of print books that's a problem (both because I already bought them, and because I believe they're out of print)

If someone can get me any of those I have some great stuff to trade.

My, you have excellent and expensive taste.

While Issei Super Complex Origami is indeed out of print as far as I can tell, Paper in Harmony is still on sale at amazon and other bookstores. It wasn't at my local B&N, but I'll check the system see if any of the local bookstores nearby have it. The only place I can think of that would have ISCO would be local japanese bookstores, which I'll check as well.

Hmm, which tantiedan mags did you want, the ones from last year (99-102) or this year(103-107)? I've been thinking about getting a subscription. I've been meaning to spend some money on books for a while and I'll prolly get either the tanteidan subscription or origami for interpreters. If you have something else specific to suggest, feel free.

Books I have on hand are: origami omnibus, origami sea life, and whatever is in the public library system. I've just reserved:

?????????????????
ISSEI SUPER COMPLEX ORIGAMI

According to the publisher, Origami House, that is the status of ISSEI SUPER COMPLEX ORIGAMI. I'm assuming it means its sold out, but I can't read it. Site here http://www.origamihouse.jp/book/original/house.html

where did you get all the tantiedan stuff?
torrents, rapidshare or legally?

The thing that bugs me is that I loaned Super Complex out before I had even folded much from it.

I really wish I could afford to be a Tanteidan member, but $94 a year is a bit much for me. I can possibly afford a Tanteidan subscription ($40) and like a book or two this year. I'm really trying to save up for Origami USA convention 2008.

Anyhow, among other things I have Origami for Interpreters as a pdf, and I have Tanteidan mags 55-60, books 7 and 9, a bunch of Robert Lang (Including two copies of Origami Design Secrets) and Montroll, some old Origami USA annuals, Works of Satoshi Kamiya, Origami Goldfish by Ronald Koh, PCOC Play, Angelfish to Zen, and I forget what else, all actual books.

And I'm looking for any Tanteidan mags whose contents I'm missing, and I really want the diagrams from 102. 101 looks good too...In fact, Volume 16 (issues 97-102) is an amazing set, and definitely would be worth the money--I should buy it.

Okay, I kind of rambled. But basically I really don't want to pay for those two books a second time.

If you want we can talk about this off-/po/

The tanteidan convention mags are all up on torrents. Rapidshit too, but those are most likely dead by now. I've been hoping someone releases the 2007 convention scans sooner or later, otherwise I may end up buying the mag since there a bunch of very nice models.

The tanteidan convention books are on sale here for $30 http://www.origamihouse.jp/book/original/orizusyu/orizusyu_12.html

I'd really like origami for interpreters. I can scan any of the books mentioned or pick up Paper in Harmony for you. I'm debating getting either a tanteidan subscription, last year's magazines, or this year's tanteidan convention book.

I have all of those (well, that interest me) except possibly (though unlikely) some of the crease patterns. Not surewhat others you have, but I recognize 3 of the 4 on the CP folder as being Aquarius and versions 1 and 2 of the Ryu-zin.

Is this of any interest to CP lovers?

You're right. The page says that it's out of print. Here's google's translation of the page, since I find google's translations to be more readable than babelfish's.

I do have the book, but it would take ages to scan it. . . I'll rapidshit it whenever I can, or whenever I feel like it. The horse is hard to fold, attempted it several times and failed. I think the only figures I can actually fold from this book is the kabuto helmet (still can't find the correct paper ratio to create a lifesized version I can wear) and the chinook salmon, and the triceretops skel. Everything else seems too complex (thus the name of the book).
