<-- Untextured PDO

The rar contains both the PDO and the 3DS in case anyone wants to throw an image on top of the thing, as I can't on this comp. Less than an hour of work, so modding it should be easy.

What program did you use?

I just needed to do some point-to-point modeling, so OpenFX did the trick, especially useful when multitasking like a mother fucker, as it's not intensive by any means. I have gMax on here, but I'll be damned if I'm going to relearn that thing just to do this mask.

Righteous.

Yeah, that does look like its assembles better. I'm a total papercraft noob, so...

The reason for the heavy forehead geometry was that the original fold lines were to be along the larger splits in the woodgrain, but I couldn't get it to texture properly.

I have a few reference images of the original props (and some made from the same molds) but in the end the OP's pic gave me the best front-on shot for texturing, so I used that when modeling. It's by no means perfect, however, as it doesn't have that twisted little "L" logo in the top circle, and I obviously didn't bother with the metal bolts beneath that, pushing it further away from the original.

But, for a pdo, I don't think it's too bad.

Patience people, patience. I have to resize the template (I think 20 cm would be a better height, agree/disagree?) before I start texturing.

I also did a test build in white, and I think it'll look great. Not screen-accurate, but c'mon, it's paper!

Previews of the texture tonight, I promise.

I have to rework the model. I built it without textures, and it's the proper size, but it looks really fucking off. I just watched the movie, too, to make sure but... damn.

My faggotry-laden soul refuses to allow my mind the wondrous knowledge of exporting textured models as 3ds, so it seems we're all out of luck.

But, do not despair, the much better looking Loki mask has been properly sized and is contained within this rar, along with the 3ds should anyone dare texture it with the OP's image.

If /po/ wants to get creative and bust out some Sharpies and color the blank version, I've got some tips (but no camera). Use Black to thinly outline the woodgrain and cracks, use Green to fill in these markings, and then go over the surface with Olive. It looks spot fucking on.

Have fun and don't wear it at night. :)

the person who released the 3D model can tell me his "nickname" so that I can put the model the proper credits. I'm ending it and I will make available today ... excuse and not have answered before, but I was working.
>> DaredevilBR
I hope you enjoy the model. Thanks to Anonymous who posted the 3D model.

Thank you for texturing my model, dude!

I understand not wanting to share the pass so people don't edit out your credits, so any chance you could rescale one to 20cm? I'm kinda petite and 24cm is too large for my face.

Awesome work, BTW.

>>152428
OK ... I will make a version of 20cm and offer the model then, okay?
