Thanks to whoever posted this the other day, I haven't done one in a long time! Yay!

First time I've done one where I NEEDED needlenose pliers, or there's NO way I could have finished it...

I did use superglue this time, and here is one reason NOT to use it...

It made the colors on the paper run when I spilled some of it :(

The other big reason I've read NOT to use it, that it sets too fast and you don't have time to adjust, was actually a BOON in this model a few times. The tiny pieces, there's no way I'm going to sit there and hold those arms in place for 5 minutes waiting for glue to set up. Superglue? Lick and stick. Done. Yay!

To be fair, the arms and tail came out horrible. no thanks to the glue stick I used.....

Hah! If that's horrible, I can't wait until I can make MY whole model horrible! :)

If you use white glue (or Aleene's Tacky Glue) the way you're SUPPOSED to use it -- extremely sparingly, so that there's almost NO glue where you're working, it sets in seconds, not minutes.

Fail for not knowing how to glue.
>> Anonymous
>>118215

Hey, I'm just using what we have available here at work, and white glue isn't one of them (there's those Uhu Stic's, but just read around at how much people DON"T like that for papercraft!)

Seeing as I got to spend all day at work yesterday, and a good hour or two today to make this, while I may fail at the model, I win at life :P

:O
How did you guys make those x3

how about "thank you" instead of japanese? I don't mean to be rude, but damn that makes me cringe so much.
>> Anonymous
>>118232

How about I said "thanks" in English next to the picture. At least I've BEEN to Japan, where, you know, people like to speak Japanese (and seeing as this model was made by some nice Japanese person, isn't it only fitting?)

At least I didn't use hiragana.

I think the previous anon's point was that it made you sound like a weeaboo.
I've been to japan twice myself, and studied the language all through high-school and some of colege. But I also find people adding random japanese words to their sentences to be like nails on a chalkboard. I've seen many instances of that here, at conventions(which is why I don;t go to them anymore), and some of my previous roommates' girlfriends.
Most of us are in america. not japan.

Welcome to being a weeaboo in a weeaboo board on a
weeaboo site made with weeaboo code. 4chan is by fact weeaboo.

true, making anime dolls out of paper is weeaboo.

sprinkling random japanese words into sentences is just icing on the caek.

Fair enough, I guess. That won't stop the cringing, though.

*Sigh*
Notice I even saged my own reply, because there's no reason for stupid arguments to keep hitting the top of the board.
Second, there are no Japanese words sprinkled in English sentences in any of my posts, just a caption in a picture. And someone who complains about a Japanese caption in a picture of a Japanese character is a Troll, and obviously I must be feeding that troll right now.

So, let's stop feeding the troll and get back to weabooing it and make some papercraft instead of raising a thread to complain about something so inconsequential.

?

I said "fair enough". Meaning "all right, then". I wasn't starting anything.

Also tohru didn't mean you, just some people in general. We're all buddies here. :)

Well, since there's so many other people just did this:

Does anyone else think there should be an extra tab on each side of piece 4, to attach to parts 6&7? Or what is that red circle about in this step?
>> Anonymous
>>118297
that step confuses the hell out of me, esp since i can't find finished pictures that show exactly what happens to that part. what did everyone else do?

the kawaii-factor from this papercraft made my balls burst. Literally.

I love how I am a complete noob and this is the first thing I ever made.
It was a bit lopsided so it didn't stand up without alot of tape and thick cardboard on the bottom though v__v
