Well, not counting the Cutman diorama... but that's not what you're looking for.

Looking at them, shouldn't they (especially Airman and Bubbleman) be fairly simple? I think an Airman with a spinning chest fan would rock.

Quick reference pic, for Blender maybe? Yes?

This Airman lacks air. He is much like the rest of us, when we lack the love of the Lord, our air is gone. How can one live without God's light? Airman is pretty cool but he dosen't believe in Jesus. Not even the stronger ones like Gutsman. So I guess he isn't that strong.
God Jesus Lord Love Happiness.

You got past making a sphere. You're doing better than I am. Without textures, it proves just how much some of the MegaMan characters looked like american football players.

I'm gonna keep working on this when I get off work tonight, but if anyone with some skill in Blender wants to help, here's the file:

I'm basing it off my earlier sketch, which wasn't that great, especially his legs =S

I have poor taste and are otherwise incapable of assembling models that possess any real quality or aesthetic appeal.
>> Anonymous
>...models that possess any real quality or aesthetic appeal.

Just because you don't have taste in video games doesn't mean you can push us down. Megaman 2 was possibly the most epic game for NES outside of the Mario/Zelda families, and if I get my way, there will be papercraft of all 8 robot masters.

What's the one page look like?
>> Anonymous
OK, so, superblendernoob that I am, I have to ask a question. How do I cut faces using other faces as references? I assumed Blender had the capability to do this and didn't model an opening in the chest for his fan.

Forgive me, I'm on 2 hours sleep and heading back to work in a couple mins... =p
>> Anonymous
Seriously, we should get a decent Megaman before starting on robot masters. Maybe Rush and Protoman, too.
>> Anonymous

Update on my progress before I nod off for the night:

I've got his upper torso mocked up for the most part, just need to mirror the left side.

I gave up on making a pass-through body and will just have a flat spot on his chest to mount the fan.

Kind of started on the legs, and got them rotated the way I want, but not sure about them yet.

Hey. All this shit got me motivated so I started development on a model with a lower polycount. I'll get it done sometime soon hopefully.

OK, here's what I ended up with. Like I said, I just started using Blender, so not too good at it. I know it's a lot of faces, but I plan on making him a little large so it shouldn't be too bad. The main problem is I'm getting the red-lines-of-doom when I import into Pepakura =[
>> Anonymous
>>170920

Post a screencap of the unfold and I'll try to help you out as much as possible, red lines usually come from when adjacent faces are not connected. Usually an easy fix is to seperate the model into components and unfold individually, makes it easier to deal with the red lines. Or if you can even post an obj. or 3ds. file I can fix the model for you.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
>>170920

here is an example of a small piece of a model I'm working on, the first time I unfolded I had what was on the left, after editing I ended up with whats on the right.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Here's the .3ds for it. I went through and merged the vertices on the red lines, thinking it would make the faces come into alignment, but I guess not. Any help is greatly appreciated, but if you could teach me how to fix it I would love it even more =]
>> Anonymous
>>170923

can you post the 3ds. file to mediafire or something, I'll fix the red lines and reupload it for you(I wont unfold) It's pretty difficult to describe all the steps(mainly cause I don't know all the terms)

Don't worry about the little kids on here shooting down everybodys models, I seriously believe that it's maybe 2 or 3 junior high kids going around being smartasses because

1. There Anon and they don't have to worry about getting there asses beat which would probably happen in real life.

2. They are jealous they don't have the skills to make models themselves so they will go around and try to make people feel as worthless as they do.

3. They attempted to make models at one point, looked like shit and got made fun of, so now they are mad and getting revenge.

- I've been making 3D models for like 7 years now
- I'm currently working on a project which will be finished in 2 weeks, I might just make a megaman related character after that, looks like fun

TEAMWORK! ... only on /po/.
>> Anonymous
Here's the link for the .rar. I put the .pdo and .3ds models in there rather than creating instructions. Everything is fairly straightforward, but a couple spots are a little tricky... Also, feel free to add or modify him as you see fit, such as a rotating fan like I originally planned but was too lazy to do =p

Again, thanks to all who helped.

>>171304
Yeah, I built it as a prototype. In the final I added his eyes, fan blades, and yellow Hindu-dot... But somehow left out his louvers because I'm a big fucking idiot... =[
