I am looking for resources relating to paper airfoil design Anonymous
Preferably as smooth (and thus non-polygonated) as possible- Not paper airplanes as popularly known, but actual airfoils and fuselages with inner volume. Ideally large templates, given the weight problem.

coolness, hope someone gets info on this.

those whitewing things were the closest I've known of... I'll see if I still have the patterns kicking around here since we moved...

Many thanks, Jamis. I'm glad I bookmarked this req page.

I'm going to make a glider with a very wide wingspan, meaning I'll need to pull some inventive paper segmentation methods out of my hat.

You could always use a rolled paper tube for the leading edge, then fold a long strip of paper lengthwise over it and glue it shut flat at the trailing edge. That would make a rudimentary airfoil. Then all you'd need to do is figure a method of attachment to the body (or cut a hole in the body and poke the wing through).

That's similar to my plan. It'll take error/trial to get the shape optimal, but I remain confident.

I've even got a crude R/C solid-state steering design.
