RASTERBATION Anonymous
I really need to fill the wall next to by bed in my room. The first thing I thought to do was find some picture and use Rasterbation to fill the wall, but comon lets face it. Loads of big dots on a wall don't look that good. Anyone know of a way to print out a picture on loads of A4 to make a complete picture?

adjust the settings in the rasterbator and you can get pretty good prints from it

my girlfriend makes posters and stuff all the time using mspaint I think.
There's some setting that spreads the print out across multiple sheets. The bigger the picture, the better it'll look. this is a 750x562 printed across 18 sheets of paper.
you have to do a bit of trimming to make it clean like this, but it ends up working fine. we have a bunch of them like this in our place.
(in b4 lol ur cell phone sucks)

ok...just asked her. this is what you do.
first open the image in an editing program(paintshop pro/photoshop) resize it to your needed size(for instance, the image I just posted was resized to 36 inches long, or 3 feet) be sure to keep the two dimensions (length and width) the same multiple as the original to keep the same aspect ratio(there should be a box to keep the sizes equal)
save as .jpeg, open in paint, and it'll automatically print to multiple pages. trim, tape and post on the wall. :3

it's full of fail, but that's what makes it so great. please don't take it seriously

but thattrick only do if the image has a high resolution, right
I try rasterbator but yeah, those dots is getting ennoying if you ster on it too much. Any advice about the size of the dots? is the smaller the better? or the bigger the better?

read original post with that pic in it.

we don't use it.
just upsize the image in photoshop, etc., open in paint, print, cut, arrange and tape.
the bigger the resolution the better. but that image is only 750x562 but it looks just fine upsized to 36 inches wide.

id test print 1 sheet from rasterbator. it could work, maybe. since a lot of things are printed in such a way. big things like that arent meant to be look at that close anyway, so yeah.

I started to try it your way with an image I'd calculated would be 3x3 (9 total) pages. Paint wanted to print 36 for some ungodly reason, no matter how I tried to set it up.

You're much better off deciding how many pages you want to use, how you want them aligned, finding the total width and height they would be when assembled, and resizing your image in photoshoop to fit that. Then slice it into however many pages you'd decided it would be and save it for web. There will then be a folder full of the separate images sized to one page each. Print at will.

maybe you're doing something wrong.
it works for us just fine.

To each his own, I guess. I prefer this method anyway, it gives me a little more control.

Pic related, mind the shitty blurry camera.

so anon, what do you say when you have visitors asking of the King?

the dpi from what you calculated and what paint was was probably different?

Actually, that's the one thing I overlooked. Oh well, I still prefer Photoshoop.

Here's a tip for resizing in photoshop that helps try to eliminate aliasing - increase the size in 10% increments.

www.blockposters.com site will let you input a image and it will automatically output the appropriate size that you want in sheets of paper, and you can download it.

I bet you could take it to kinko's or somewhere to get it printed out, so you don't have to use your own printer ink...

The only downside is that if the size you want is bigger than the picture, then it'll start to pixelate. There was a halo 3 wallpaper I did to about a normal size poster, and it turned out alright. Couldn't tell unless you got pretty close to it.

if you get the rasturbater download, you can get finer dot percision, but the PDF files it converts into become xBawks hueg. About 2-3dpi is fine

I fucking hate you. I'd sell my mom to have some nice Pokeymons and other nice stuff~

But then again, I really fucking hate her [especially after a fight 5 min ago], if I can get something for selling her, I'd rather get a Wii.
