anyone know how big the end product of this thing is? i was thinking about making it for my gf for christmas or something, but i dont want to end up taking up half of her room.

It's about a foot to a foot and a half tall, about 7 inches wide, and about a foot long. I'd say it takes up as much room as a medium sized stuffed animal.

Scratch the wide, it should be about 10 or so. I'm making these guesses by memory, by the way.

wow, pretty large for something thats gonna end up being fairly fragile. how long did it take you to build it (hours a day, number of days...probably weeks, etc) and would you think that shrinking the parts by 20-35% cause some parts to be too small to handle?

I haven't completed it yet, but I've got the highest thing on the model built, I'm estimating the width by what's added on to the sides, and I have the depth built. The only thing with the height I don't have is the legs, but that adds about 2 inches off the ground.

I wouldn't decrease the size, because there are some very small parts that I've dealt with so far.

so this one is hard vers?

one last question, how sturdy would you say this is? it looks to be just a completely hollow shell of a thing. i know, its just a papercraft, but most papercrafts are structurally sound being that they are fairly small

I wouldn't say that it's sturdy. See the main part with the face? Besides the tips of parts that go inside of it, it's completely hollow. This is a papercraft best built with cardstock.

However, when you build the entire body section (about 5 or 6 parts) you can push it down and make him look like he's talking.

if you wanted to you could build a few support beams out of spare cardstock to make it more stable, Its what I plan on doing when I get around to building this model.
