Sup po Robby
Hey /po/, its Robby again.

Does anyone have a good tutorial for the Sonic Papercraft? I did everything but the head, anyone have a tut?

Well there's 1 page of instructions, which should suffice to say the least, it's pretty easy to figure out which part goes where. The head is quite a headache though, not in figuring out how to put the parts together but in gluing them together, but I still somehow managed using crappy glue and it came out pretty good even.

The real pain was not about the head on me. The crappy, simplistic body though I found horrible.

Okay. There are a few things I found incredibly helpful when putting the Sonic and Shadow papercrafts together from this group.

Before I built Sonic, I printed the entire thing in a low quality black and white version on the regular, thin printer paper. Then, once I knew what I was doing I did the full color version on 65 lb. weight printer paper.

Another thing that will help with sides and everything. The kanji that looks like a backwards "t" draped over an "I" is the character for left. The kanji with a backwards "t" draped over a square is the kanji for right.

Actually, the kanji on the papercrafts from SonicTeam were probably the simplest and easiest to understand out of all the papercrafts I've had to look up that information on.

I guess it also helps that I bought a good Japanese dictionary a few years ago. I think I'll see about translating a tiny bit of the instruction page to help with this.

That damn body was the part that gave me the most trouble as well. I almost gave up on figuring it out before I just happened to bend it a certain way. It would help to be able to see that there's a spike on his back as well as the massive spiky head. Grr. I'm used to pieces like that just being a seperate piece.

But anyway, onto editing. Also, since I think someone is asking for the design to this papercraft. I think I got it off of plus4chan.org.

Correcting myself. It would be nice to be able to see how the spike on his back works a little better than in the instructions. Really, I just hate that goddamn body in general.

I need to make this papercraft again anyway at least once for a friend who loves Sonic. My boyfriend has the completed one right now, and I think I threw away the mock up.

So if anyone wants me to help more thoroughly than just translating a few kanji on the instruction page alongside the kanji, then just respond to this and let me know.

This is the last of the pages to the Sonic po, except for the instructions, because I'm going to edit them slightly. Remembering where you cut the parts out from will help with the instructions and assembly.

Translated version. At least as much as I'm willing to translate. I didn't even use as much information as I put on here, so I'm being overachiever for once.

I made the image smaller, so I don't know how small it will print on a sheet of paper. It looks just fine on the computer.
