Hey po, i'm about 1/4 through this dragon. i'm sure many of you guys have made/seen this model before

i cant help but wonder what those little red stars mark, does anybody know?

Also, just curious, for the spins on the back of the dragon, are the tabs for the spines glued on the outside of the dragon, or inbetween the tabs of other parts (so the actual tab of the spine does not show).

"Spines" meaning the golden pieces? I didn't know they had tabs, and if they did, I just cut them off and glued them directly to the outside of the dragon after I was finished with it.

It has been two years since I last built that thing, so I don't remember for sure what the red stars were for. I think they were for helping with lining up the model. I never used the golden spines, but if you do, then they are glued to the model after the rest is finished. Also, the dragon is supposed to be put together with the folding lines inside the dragon so they don't show.

Some other things I remember about the dragon is that it's huge, that you will want to line up the dragon carefully with the pole so it fits over the pegs on it, and that the head is the hardest part of it. The second dragon I made was half size, and it was more manageable in terms of finding a place for it while still being very buildable.

I've been looking around the internet for the instructions/source of this and couldn't find it. Would you be so kind to upload it please? Thanks in advance.

Alright, so the red stars are not necessary, and neither are the spines. Thanks.

I don't understand. So i was suppose to reverse all of the folds? That does not make sense because the "eye brows" are coloured, and folding them inverse would caused the coloured side to be shown on the inside.

There are no instructions but here is the folder I'm using right now

http://www.mediafire.com/?ykhwnnubxrv

This is not the original folder, I just stuffed everything about the dragon into one folder and zipped it. (Not much, but there might have been something in the original that i missed. The entire model is still there in .pdo format)

Also, the pdo files come for A4 sized paper. I used pepakura designer to rearrange the pieces so they would fit on letter sized sheets. I tried my best to keep it to as little sheets as possible and at the same time keep things organized. Most of it is pretty organized except for the head file.

If you mean the red stars on the stand, they denote that the inner rectangle is cut out. Would be more clear if they had put a black X through the corners, like most people...

Don't worry about it. I've gotten it to work without reversing it. I don't remember too much about it, and I've been meaning to make another one of these, because my boyfriend has the other one I still have.

I wish I could remember where I burned all the information /po/ gathered on that dragon. I had even created a pole that had a bamboo color that once printed out and put together, fooled people into thinking the pole was made of wood, not paper.
