That is actually a paper craft of a character that Frankie "Guy who tells on bungie.net whats going on with Halo 3 this week" made called MISTER CHIEF.

this seems like a european marketing gimmick, more than a good paper craft.

What American uses A3 paper?

*the whole WORLD* wonders why America doesn't just use standard A0, A1, A2 etc... paper like the rest...........

Well, to use logic where logic doesn't apply,

We haven't switched to metric.
We are richer than you.
Therefore, switching to metric must be wrong.

(But frankly, I happen to think 8.5x11 is more aesthetically pleasing anyhoo)

1) This is not /b/ so it'll be okay.
2) Why should I care if some anon on some messageboard calls me eurofag? I might cry a little, but I'll live.
3) Why EUROfag? Asian countries use it, African countries use it, Oceanic countries use it, former USSR countries use it, SOUTH American countries use it, the United Nations use it for their documents... So just Eurofag wouldn't be accurate. Asiafag, Africafag, South Americafag, UNfag... Why only Eurofag??

Really..? US version looks a bit... fat to me.
Scale isn't the same (8,5x11 is a bit smaller than iso A4) but the proportions are drawn as they are.

In the A series of paper sizes the ratio of the sides is the square root of 2. This means that if you fold A4 in half you get A5 and it has the same ratio.
God knows where the American standard comes from.

That's why it's called a standard: there's a comprehensible system behind it.

>> God knows where the American standard comes from.
No He doesn't. Because the American 'standard' isn't a system that you can use to go from one paper size to the next. They're just a bunch of set paper sizes that most people in the US agree to use.

HAHAHAHA, unless the poster is Indian or Peruvian this is incorrect.
