Charles here Charles Bradbury
Hey /po/.
I started doing this Metroid Papercraft only to find that texturing one is very tedious.
I tried looking at 'real' Metroid models but the work around with the transparency which is pretty hard to replicate in papery form.
I ended up (shoddily) coloring the 'teeth' as an attempt to see how it looks, but now I'm pretty disappointed yet confused at the same time. Is there a way to even texture a Metroid? Any ideas or suggestions? I'm out.

use plastic film as skin and paper as the inside of the monster

Just don't give up, I know a lot of people who'd LOVE a metroid papercraft, including myself.

Metroids have only 3 fangs as far as I know...

As for textures... Not much you can do.
>> Anonymous
I'm not sure, but if you give up on this model, I will stab you.
>> Anonymous
why not ask if any here on po that can make the skin
>> Jen
I've heard that some people will take reference pictures of a model and use them for textures by stretching and modifying them to fit around the 3D model. Maybe posting some reference pictures would help.

I'm not exactly proud of it, since my texturing/UV mapping skills were never too good, but at least it somewhat resembles a Metroid.
This is good to go, unless I either give up or find someone else who cares to re-texture this.
I'll Pepakuraid it as soon as I get home.

Sorry for not doing anything about this for a while.. Something unexpected happened.
Either way, as stated before, I'm not too good with unfolding, so anyone with Pepakura, please go for this..! The PDO is available at http://www.raccoonsam.byethost8.com/Stuff/Metroid.zip

I'm not sure if this is a good unfold since I haven't done a test build, but here is my shot at it. I'll upload my modified pdo here too.

Here's the pdo as promised.
