File :-(, x, )

Hello there, /po/.

Ninjatoes has graced us with the fine One Piece papercraft seen here.

I'd like to make it for a friend whose birthday is next week.
I can't seem to open the file, though. Can anyone help?

Here's the link for the decompressor. It's commercial though, but has 30days free licence :)
I have not tested it personally, but it should be it.

That's the one (there's a MAC version as well for those that are wondering).
You have to download the StuffIt Standard edition: you can MAKE StuffIT archives yourself for 30 days for free, but you can continue the StuffIt Expander that's included in the StuffIt Standard edition for free after those thirty days. So you can EXTRACT StuffIt archives even after those 30 days have gone by.

I know, they should just let people download the Expander seperately. But it's a marketing thing, I guess.

it comes free on Macs, and using the "Create Archive of (Selection)" option on the File menu, you can .zip things.

not anymore it doesn't.

And there IS a seperate expander you can download, it's just fucking hard to find. Just don't compress things with sit, since it's a shitty archiver anyway...

really? lol wonder why... it's not that expensive now, i hope? that would suck...
when did this start?

It started with Aladdin making one of the crappiest and slowest expanders ever. It ended with Apple making .dmg the preferred format for distributing Mac software, and adding the ability to create .zip files to the Finder.

For the Mac you can download a 15 day trial version of the archive MAKER after which you can still continue to use the archive EXTRACTER for free as long as you want.

If you know of a place where you can download the Expander seperately from stuffit.com (one of the latest versions, the earlier versions you could download seperately, but they don't recognize the sitX format) please tell us. ;o)

Right now, it's the best archiver for jpeg images: the jpeg format in itself is a compressed format, so normal (ZIP, RAR etc) compressing methods don't really work, and will only "compress" a jpeg image by like 4%. StuffItX compresses it by 30%. That's a big difference when you're hosting like 100 jpeg images on your free webspace...

if anyones still interested, there's the link to the torrent page where you can get the program from, as of right now, it shows 5 seeds...so good luck, I managed to get it myself though, and got the template, so I guess if Anonymous wishes it, I can post that as well.

You don't need an illegal DeLuxe version, just download the Standard version from the StuffIt site: you can MAKE SITX archives for 30 days, but you can OPEN them for as long as you live.
