The package has arrived. However, the sheets are ledger size (11.5" x 16.5"). What is the best way to scan these? Some of the parts are 15+" long.
a) Scan twice on each side (front/back) and then merge the files? I've never done this, but I could post the individual scans to rapidshare and let someone else do it.
b) I know someone who works at a copy center who might be able to run them through a large scanner, which would get the full sized sheets.

Also, as noted on the cat scans, the edges are hard to see. How best to highlight them - pre or post scan?

I have already aligned the malamute. It is here:

3DPaper.com created these models for Hasbro/Milton Bradley. I have posted a few more of their models before (merged, of course). Here are the links if you missed them before:

Did you or anyone fix up the 3DPaper lion that was floating around?
>> NYB
Actually, I was working on the Lion last night. Not finished yet. I will post as soon as I am done.

so these templates are all aligned and ready to print?
no guessing games with margins and whatnot?
I really wanted to build the elf, but it's hard to see where the parts should align.

Yes, these are ready to print. Just flip the pages and print onto the other side. Everything should line up.

The Elf is formatted to fit 8.5x11 sheets (letter size). All others are formatted to fit 8.5x14 sheets (legal size).

I appreciate the great work NYB has done in aligning these things. I've built some of these from the original kit; the parts are pre-punched and scored, which saves a lot of labor. Has anyone actually built one from a scan?

OK. Here is the Lion.

Is OP ever going to post scans of the horse?

FINALLY! THANK YOU!

>>190020here. What a large file. But I can manage it, thanks.

It was just a scan and dump. Not much time to do anything else... Good luck

Actually, I do not shrink the parts at all. If a part is too big to fit onto the page, I cut it and fix it to look like the manufacturer created it that way.

These scans are exactly what I needed to merge and align. Thanks.

If you could scan the rest of your Foldin' Art models this way, it would be great.
>> NYB
OK. After looking over the scans, there were four parts that were either cut off, or the page was accidentally moved while scanning. Luckily, they were all on the same page. If you could rescan the back of page 6 that includes parts 54, 63, 61, 13, I would appreciate it.

I will have to wait until Monday morning to rescan page 6. I won't have access to the scanner til then.
>> NYB
That's fine. I'll work on the rest of the parts until then.
