Printing on styrene? Anonymous
Anyone tried it? They make the stuff mighty thin, and I'd love have things made out of plastic than paper

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT, try this in a laser printer, it will likely melt the plastic and kill the printer

They make transparencies that can be printed on just for this purpose, why not go buy some

That would be bad wouldn't it? Should do that when I quit my job

This stuff is good for fortifying surfaces, hold it over a pot of boiling water and it becomes soft and flimsy and molds surprisingly well to surfaces. Seriously though, just buy some Fiberglass resin and paint on a layer on your cardstock, it's only $10-15 and can last a long time. Makes your papercraft throwable, lol.

Huh. I had no idea you could just put a protective layer over your card stock, I thought it was just used for making crazy stuff like halo helmets.

You have to start off with a really thin layer. Don't just gloop it on and expect your card model to hold. But once you have a couple thin layers, it will hold up to anything.

Ya, resin is great. But, as was mentioned, start with thin layers.
