I was browsing in yes asia and found an origami book which has similar modular models as Mr.MOAI.
Haven't got the image of the cover, all I can remember is image of pineapple and if you want the book, delivery takes 30 days.

I bought a book about it once, but for the life of me can't remember where I put it...Basically, you fold SHIT LOADS(200~2500, but those are for the ones about a foot or so tall) pieces of paper twice as wide as they are long into triangles, stack them and glue together.

Once you know how to MAKE the triangles, it's really easy to do, and you can stack/unstack them again and again, like Asian legos or something.

I'll see if I can't find the book and scan the diagram or something tomorrow.

You have to be kidding. Took me almost 2 year just to complete senbazuru 1000 cranes. I'll think give the kusadama a try.
200-2500 trianglar piece!

You serious? After cutting out the pieces, it takes like twenty seconds to fold one, and you don't even have to look at it! Just do it while you're watchin TV or something
