Life-size Meganium Anonymous
I saw POdragon's Meganium and she said it would take 300 pages for a life-size version. Does anyone know how to specifically enlarge it and in what program so that i can get it to be 300 pages or life-size?
>> Anonymous
You can unfold the model in Pepakura Designer.
The largest you can unfold a model in pepakura designer is 200cm or 6.5ft.

By the way is anyone else having trouble downloading the pdo file model from /po/ archives? The link just gives me a page with a bunch of gibberish.
>> Anonymous papercrafter
I can't even open PDO......so i don't know. i'd like POdragon to answer here because then we'd know how to make it life-size.
>> Anonymous papercrafter
Is there a way to do it withou Pepakura? In MS Paint, howabout:
File > Copy Development to Clipboard
Maximize the percent to whatever you please, paste into MSPaint and print.

1. To make the model bigger : Go to Image > Sketch/Skew OR hit Ctrl + W
Then scale it up to whatever percentage you want.

Could i maybe use that method to enlarge it till it's life size (5 ft, 11 inches)

how big is this supposed to be, I have scaled it up to about 50 cm tall. Just need to move the parts around

Simply stretch/skewing won't work. If you make the entire picture 500%, it will print out the exact same picture.

What you would have to do is take each individual part, stretch THEM to be ?% bigger, and then make sure you also get every single other part to size. This requires several different sheets, and with the size you want, one part per sheet, or you might have to split parts yourself into halves and quarters before you get the desired size.

pdf of 50 cm. meganium your not gonna be able to go bigger without cutting up the pieces too much.

um...hello, somebody has posted a scaled up version twice now
>> Anonymous
Also, could someone scale up PK's Pupitar model to 1.2 metres or 120 cm, cause PK said it was half that, and i'd love life-size Pupitar.
>> Anonymous
Yeah, i noticed. Thanks for that guys. Yay for 50 cm Meganium!!!
>> Anonymous
>>149445

should have pupitar done in a few minutes
>> Anonymous
oops sorry the pdo is passworded, anybody happen to know the password?
>> Anonymous
I don't know the password, but which PDO?
>> Anonymous
You should post a topic asking PK or /po/ (or both) for the password.
>> Anonymous
>>149450
oh sorry for the pupitar, I was the one who scaled up the meganium and was going to do the pupitar too, but the pdo is passworded
>> Anonymous
AW crap! Pupitar's one of my fave Pokemon.......doesn't anyone know the password besides PK?
>> Anonymous
Heey man, if i post a Regice model, could you scale it up to 50 cm?
>> Anonymous

>> Anonymous
Here's Regice:

well that's not very nice, if you don't have anything nice to say...aw hell just shut the fuck up!

Hey guys. I wanna make custom toes to this Meganium model, but how do i figure out how big they need to be for the 50cm model? Is there a calculation or something?
>> Anonymous
I could resize a picture to 5cm, multiply the measurement by 10 to get 50, then multiply the measurment of the toes by 10. Is that right?
>> Anonymous
>>149470
not exactly a very nice thing to say either...
take your own advice
>> Anonymous
>>149511
Yep. Put the model together, then cut & add toes. Badam!
Done.
>> Anonymous
>>149522

I know,I was just messin around
>> Anonymous
Could i do that resizing thing in 149521 to get the toes?
>> Anonymous
Yo guys......any help please?
>> POdragon
Hey guys, I'll upload lined and no-lined PDO versions for life-size Meganium.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6P7ZUMR3

And y'know, for toes, just take some white paper, fold, add tabs, glue. Not that hard, right?
>> Anonymous
Someone should post an enlarged lineless Meganium PDF.

Anyone got any instructions for it, cause i can't open PDOs.
>> Anonymous
Yeah, someone should enlarge the lineless version to 50cm. And post some instructions as well. :3

Can't open PDOs? Can't get Pepakura Viewer?

Anyways. For anyone scaling in MSPaint/anythingelse, a full-size 'Copy Development to Clipboard' (which is impossible because it's so huge) would be 9691 pixels wide by 13114 pixels high.

Then I suppose you would choose in the Print Setup, under Scaling, Adjust to: 100% size.

I don't think it would be a full 300 pages; many pages will be blank as they are in between parts placement.
I tried to put parts closer and move slightly to minimize the amount of paper necessary.

Hope this helped!

>>No.149847
Is that for life-size or 50cm Meganium? So all I do for life-size is adjust the scaling to 100% size?
>> Anonymous
>>149855

your going to end up splicing together so many sheets of paper it so would not be worth it
>> POdragon
     File :-(, x)
>>149859
In either case, yeah. Depending on how badly you want to build a life-size meganium (and I would recommend reinforcing the model by building it from cardboard+paper, for such a size), there is a lot of combining sheets together to make a single part.

When placing the pieces in the PDO, I tried to take this into consideration, and some overrunning parts have only edges of tabs that are cut off, which don't need to be added back on, most likely.

If anyone makes it life size--PLEASE, show pictures. It would be epic.
>> Anonymous
OK, but i just readjust it to 100%?
>> Anonymous
>>149896
So, why can't you view PDO files?
>> POdragon
>>149927
This will simplify things immensely.
Guh.
Hay guys can you run that on a mac too?
>> Anonymous
Noones answered if all i must do is scale up the percentage to 100.
>> Anonymous
>>149871

Which PDO? The life-size one or normal Meganium?
>> Anonymous
Post the life-size Meganium PDO, lined and not lined if you have it please. Or, if not, could i just scale up the normal one?
>> Anonymous
>>150141
Do you see the picture in
>>149847
?

Look at the background. Each one of those tiny squares represents one single sheet of paper. Scaling it up wouldn't do anything, because you couldn't make it for it would be too big.

What about the Totodile craft you were making, POdragon?
>> Anonymous
>>150146
Aw, I like you, Totodile.
>> Anonymous
No, it's possible to make, but it needs reinforcement, time and lots of paper.
>> Anonymous
more life-size poke threads and people who think PDOs require passwords... what happened to you /po/?
>> POdragon
>>150146
Very nice pic.
Totodile? I might work on it, I might start it from scratch because I hated how it was turning out. Or I might just do other papercrafts, it depends on my mood.

>>150141
Also, did you miss when I uploaded the PDOs?
