Hey /po/,

I'm fairly new to papercraft. I've done some small stuff like the moot/young link/majoras mask.

The issue at hand is glue. I was using superglue similar to the pic, but it seemed to work only 80% of the time when gluing tabs etc.

What kind of glue do you use, and what would you suggest for a noobie like me?

I've always used regular Elmer's Glue. Never failed me.
>> Moony
agreed. Elmer's or some other cheap white glue works great when applied in a thin layer. it gets tacky quickly and bonds well for a very long time. There are /po/eple here that have papercrafts more than 10 years old that are still holding together with elmer's

Loctite is better used on plastic/metal models.

OP here, quick question....

I am trying to finish the horns on the majoras mask atm, bnd i am attempting to use a clar glue stick i bought at staples for the coming semester.

It doesn't work...ESPECIALLY on the very small tabs. please advise?

don't ever use stick glue? I've had nothing but horrible luck with it in regards to papercraft. The roll-on liquid glues I'm told are nice, though I've never used them myself. Seriously, go to wal-mart, spend 17 cents (no exaggeration there, the back to school sale has Elmer's Glue-All that cheap)

Kk, i hate to be picky...but doesnt it take fucking ages for that stuff to set/dry etc?

not really. Hold it for 15-20 seconds and then just let it be for awhile and it sets fine.

It may not be the "zomg fastest" solution out there, but then again this hobby is not for the impatient.

Only if you're pouring it on like a kindergartener... Seriously, just apply a thin layer with a toothpick or something and press it firmly with tweezers or your fingers for it to set. You may have to put it down for 30 seconds if it's the first tab when connecting two pieces but after that you don't even have to wait just apply glue, press, go to next tab, repeat.

lol @ kindergarten

also, i'm using tweezers and it works like a charm :)

thanks

In my nation this glue is Loctite Super-Attack,
I often use it to glue little free pieces like antennas or weapons 'cause when it dryes becomes hard as plastic.
In every other case I use Uhu glue that doesn't wet the paper.

i swear by elmer's pour out a little spread it thin and go to town.
the best thing about it is when i pour out a bunch knowing i'm going to be at it awhile it only gets easier as it begins to dry. sticks much faster.
and in the beginning, the thinner you spread it the faster.
good fucking times.
