My Marvel Ironman model, posted here first! Wolf
It's a big model, around 24" tall... Lots of parts, fairly advanced level build. File is a little over 11mb, a .Rar file of PDF's...

http://rapidshare.com/files/19759433/IM-model-PDFs.rar

There's no real instructions yet, but I've included several pics of the mesh parts & an uncolored & numbered parts sheet for each section. 110# cardstock works best, you'll need about 100 sheets.... ;)

Enjoy guys... :)
I have a few others I'm working on as time allows. Yes, The Classic armor is on the list... I've got a few girls I'm finishing up, then the Masterchief is next.
I'm working on some new webspace to host the 3d & pepakura files, so those & some of my other stuff will be available soon...
You can see some of my simplier models on the Pepakura gallery site... The hellraiser puzzlebox, Indy's Holy Grail, Cursed pirate coin, etc...

Now everybody is going to think I'm gonna be bitching, but that's just a chance I'll have to take...
Obviously: a new papercraft: great! One of the main reasons I like /po/ so much!
But I really think sometimes people get so enthusiastic about make a papercraft, they want to release it as quick as possible while it could still use a little more work.
Because the original 3D model you found is REALLY detailed, and for papercraft, that is a disaster... Of course it's still possible to make it into a papercraft, but it's VERY difficult to build this way, even if you did make it as big as possible...
The most important tip I can give you for the future is: use simplified 3D models, SketchUp style, not 3DS Max style. And after you find a simplified 3D model: open it in your own 3D modeller and simplify it some more. ;) 3D programs use triangular polygons, and 80-90% of these can be readily merged into quadrupal polygons. That way you loose A LOT of the fold lines that you don't need. And that's just the first step (very simple, but time consuming, I know...) into greatly reducing the 3D model, making the paper model much easier to build. Many people would like to make papercrafts, but hate 3D modelling because it's so time consuming, but if you're going to use Pepakura, it's quite an important first step to get right.
Good luck with your future projects.

I hear ya, & do agree with alot of it... I've actualy worked on this model for a good 6 months, piece by piece getting each fold & facet 'just so' before releasing it. I actualy did quad it & reduced the poly count to the bare minimum for the amount of detail I wanted. You'll find most of my simplier models are quite low poly, less than 1000... & assembly quickly with minimal fuss.
This one just happen to not be one... In fact, it'll probably be the most complex model I'll ever make, mainly due to my attachment to the character. :) I've been making these for almost 10 years now, so I'm not really a noob, just around here... ;) Most of the groups & boards I'm on move at a snails pace, I love the energy of this place! :)

You serious?! Maybe you uploaded the wrong, earlier version? (serious question, not being sarcastic or anything, people made this mistake before...) But I didn't find ANY quad face, they are ALL still triangles... And it's still covered in lines you don't need (since many of the two triangles just make one flat, quad surface, so there's no need for a fold line) and wouldn't have if they were quad faces.
Also, there seem to be some issues with overlapping parts. The lines are just esthetic, but overlapping parts means there will be a hole in your papercraft (the same piece of paper can't be used in two different places...)

>> Wolf
Gaaaahhhh!!! You are correct! That is my beta version! LOL
Guess I should have unzipped & looked at it before uploading... I had a major hard-drive meltdown a couple months ago, & my backups are a bit muddled... I'll locate the final version & get it posted asap! The final one is definately cleaner, & the colors are much more 'metallic'...

I can do a Duke, but most of the links on that site are dead... I'll dig around my archives & see if I have one saved, I've got alot of game models stored...

Pro tip: I'd wait before printing 100+ pages until he releases the fixed version: this one still has lots of mistakes.
It's very detailed, and that's probably why it's 100+ pages: the parts need to be quite big, or else some of the parts would turn out so small you wouldn't be able to fold and handle them.

I wish somebody would do that to the Wolf Link template.

>> Wolf
It was all done... Although I'm starting to think it'll be quicker to simply redo it from scratch. :( I've been through 60+ CDR's, & haven't found it yet... My biggest fear right now is that it was on my old hard-drive & never got backed up before it died...

On a good note, I did locate all my mesh & texture files for it, so redoing it won't take alot of time if I have to...

I also found a pile of other models I've saved over the years, a bunch that haven't been available for a long time... I just set up a 5gig website, & I'll be uploading them all to a permenent archive... :)

seriously, wolf - you're awesome - but whats the homepage.

i NEED some of these models
>> Wanna Know
yeah, whats the homepage wolf?
>> Wolf
There's no homepage yet... I'm still trying to get the format setup for public archiving... I'd like to hvae the site split into genre sections, so everyone can upload & download as they find new models to add to the site...
Or I may end up just having one upload box, then I'll have to classify the model & put it in it's correct section...

The website url is http://modelshop.5gbfree.com

If anyone has some website talent, feel free to offer help! ;)
