Anyone here ever make earrings/necklaces/etc with origami? I made these Mew earrings for a craft swap as well as a kimono girl necklace, and might make more to sell at AWA. Anyone have any success with that? Also other origami jewelry ITT.
I don't have the templates for them, but I'd imagine it'd be fairly simply to string a needle and thread through some of those small origami stars made with long strips of paper.
Mark Kennedy usually has some pins and magnets for sale at the OUSA convention. He coats his stuff in an acrylic or resin of some sort. I've seen rather plain earrings made from frog bases and fans before too.
Here is a pendant I designed awhile back, if I remember right its from a kite base or a half-blintzed base. Either way, one of the ends with the right angle becomes the crane and the rest becomes the setting.

Yep, he has everything from cranes to spiders and teddy bears. Most of his stuff is folded from Chiyogami or Tissue Foil. I think he sells them for $8-$20 each. Just make sure you have permission from designers to sell non-traditional/self works ;p.
