Thoughts about Delko's Mudkips Anonymous
I made two, one with lines and one without.

I think that the best would be to make a composite where the head has no lines but the rest does.

Also, it seems a little off balance, the first one I made stands on its own but the second one I made I had to glue 1/2 of a toothpick underneath (p0n0s lol)

Anyway its a good model, but maybe look at the Head. Its really hard to get that last flap on the back (without any 'teeth'). The first time I cut the top two sections off and it seemed to work better

I'll go ahead and make one with lines on the body but none on the head. I'll just make the color of the dotted lines closer to the body that surrounds it.

does anyone have _this_ mudkip?

Not that I know of. That's the chokipeta one. I might be able to mess around a bit and make one, but I'm busy for the time being, so people would have to be a little patient.

Here's the lineless head with softened lines on the body, as promised.

Actually Chokipeta's Mudkip looks like this:
<----
/po/'s Mudkip was modelled after it.
>>52230is from http://www.geocities.jp/yu77p/pokeperagarry.html but I haven't been able to find a template at http://www.geocities.co.jp/SweetHome-Ivory/3680/pokepera.html

Thanks. I thought that mudkip came from that site, but I couldn't find it on the site we've been finding the others on. I didn't know about the other one that shows the finished works. Someone months ago said it was a chokipeta mudkip, so until you told me where it was from, I just assumed that chokipeta had 2 versions of the mudkip until someone told me where it really was from.

Anyway, I used the Pikachu papercraft to make a sitting mudkip. I don't think it's finished yet, but the first test build seemed okay enough to at least release it. I've got two color schemes, one that fits closer to Delko's mudkip and the regular color scheme for mudkips, and another that tries to match the mudkip from that SweetHome Ivory site.

Ah, I see what's going on in that gallery now. I used the babelfish translator, and it sounds like the gallery is a showcase of models that others have created from the templates on SweetHome-Ivory, and the mudkip is among them. In other words, the curator encourages people to take his templates and remodel them as they please. Finished works can be sent to his e-mail address which is linked to at the top of the page.

It seems that the template used to create the mudkip model is this one:
http://www.geocities.jp/yu77p/achamo.html

So I'll see what the differences between the body types for the two are, if any.

Aww, you're so sweet. I meant to do this months ago, and finally got motivated after Delko made a mudkip after the Chokipeta one. I built my mudkip versus the achamo the other person used to make their mudkip, and I prefer the look of mine, so I'm done messing with it.

I've also found that I've kind of fallen in love with the simplicity of the pokemon character design used on the SweetHome-Ivory website. I'm going to make more pokemon characters, and I was wondering what requests people have for sitting pokemon?

I'm thinking about attempting a snorlax, a squirtle, and a psyduck for the moment. I have one question about snorlax, though. Does anyone know whether or not he has any kind of short, stubby tail? I just haven't been able to find pictures of that pokemon from behind or the side yet.

Dear Jen & Delko

Your Mudkips are both very wonderful and I thank you for sharing your work with the community! I really appreciate it and I know others do too.
