bump~
its definitely not traditional origami, we can see tape 3 times during the video
>>141714Senx!
>>141714UPLOAD ALL PAGE OF THIS BOOK PLZ!
>>141714fuck yeah, thanks a bunch!
>>141714Thanks!
>>141928PLZ!!!!!
>>141714so is the last page for a completely other ball?
ooo
>>141714The diagrams might be wrong, there is no hole in the center for the one in OP. These diagrams have a hole in the center when assembled. Anyone got the correct ones?
try this
Look at the thing again; it shows two types of units. Both work the same, and then there's pictures of the hole units being used to make a ball; that's for example. Follow the instructions on the first page to use the non-hole units to make the transforming star.
>>142925i dont get it ur showing to different modular types how does it go together and were is the tape it looks like it didnt need any tape. the model looks well intact. has anyone tried making it yet?
>>142925What about this diagram? Does this one require glue?
>>142978It says on the first page, first diagram is the one shown in vid(?), but requires glue. Second diagram is self-locking aka no glue needed, but there's a hole in the center.
so wait it needs glue but doesnt need glue?.... someone that doesnt suck explain this plz
>>142925I think I kind of understand the one with a hole on itthe finished one kind of looks like the transforming one, but inside out so the hole points in instead of out, and somehow fold it at more of an angel so the pieces are triangles so they don't make holes when put together. I haven't tried it i'm just guessing
I was going to post my WIP of the "holes" version, 70 parts assembled, but the camera's out of batteries.>>143039Not inside out or anything. It looks just like the star one with all the tips cut off.>>142996Probably not, but it does look awfully loose.>>143035Read harder. And ignore page 6 of the instructions.
>>143089page 6? i dont see any instructions
>>143147oo found em but ive made that before i know how it works
>>143089>>143147my interpretation is to only use the first three pages and stick those together in 12 groups of 5. then you connect those with your extra 30. Am I wrong?
gief instruction 9-16
>>143359Bingo! Join groups of five to make the red sections, then use all the extra pieces to hinge it all together. All the instructions are in>>141714which is IN THIS THREAD.
Here is the version with holes. Camera autofocus was a bit shit, but you should get the idea. Some of the gray areas don't stay pushed in very well, and flexing it generally makes the tabs start to slide out and/or rip. Using 1"x2" units was probably a bad idea, larger would have been easier and more robust. So this will stay on the shelf.
I made it, using glue and tape. It works, but doesn't stay close(too soft, fragile), need to use cardstock or heavier paper to make it. The center is hollow/empty, so if the pieces are too weak, it will collapse on itself.
>>141608orly
>>143557>>143764so do you just follow what the pdf file did?..
>>144045yes, just follow the pdf
>>143764I got a paper block at staples before, their square and the paper's pretty stiff, it would be a good paper to use. and they come in multi colour. I think its in the same isle as the sticky notes it looks like this http://www.paperplus.co.uk/Product_details.aspx?Prod=BI2351
BUMP
>>141714sause is Polyhedron Origami For Beginners - Miyuki KawamuraThe second set of instructions is for something else (it's from a different section than what you guys want). I don't know why the guy who made the pdf I posted put it in there. I think he said they were similar so just make the 2nd one instead. But yeah, you can really see the tape in the video so don't expect the pieces to stay together much
