The biggest problem with using 3DS Ripper DX on the Dolphin emulator is getting to the point in the game where the thing you want to rip appears on screen: framerate is terrible (unless your computer occupies seven rooms (you know, like the old days, but with present technology). I know it's not the same model used, but it's the "difficulty level" I think you should aim for. PS: 3DS Max is not a ripper, it's a 3D modelling program (and a bit overkill for papercraft).
