?

I havnt done much papercraft, but I've found this one glue pen (yes, a pen but looks more like a sharpie point), its called the "2 WAY GLUE" by ZIG Memory System. its blue when its wet, and drys clear, really easy to use and pretty precise, and bonds pretty well. Its made in japan, but I believe you can probably find it in scrapbook store or fineart stores

I've been using elmers white glue for a while without problems. I usually put it on an index card and apply using a small strip of index card.

I use Yes!Paste. Dries clear, pretty easy to apply, I use a toothpick to spread it on.

How do you handle the problem of the glue sticking to the printed side of the paper? My last papercraft project looked like a mess when the glue would spread into the printed areas and muck it up.

Actually, as 21549 said, any white glue is not only good, but quite an important tool for papercrafts. It holds the paper strongly, because the fibers absorb it and grip them together, and you have a good amount of time to place the pieces together.
A common practice for Japanese papercraft people are to dab some onto a place, then apply the glue to your piece with your finger. The finger is more important than the glue itself.

Yes indeed, very helpful.
and I've been to some shops that display huge papercraft models with some for sale, and have talked to the owner about making them.

usually it's not the huge papercrafts that are difficult to build; it's the small ones ;o)

Agreed.
In my limited exploits I've been using PVA craft glue (no particular brand), dabbed on with a finger or toothpick depending on the surface and it's worked great.

I'm going to second this too.

Just did a bit of research and I hate to rain on everyone's parade but that particular Hi-nu model was never available for download. It was made to be sold only at the Chara hobby festival. Proof can be found at:

There was another Hi-nu template that I found floating around on a Korean site (proportions were a bit limp though), but the link had been pulled, anyone know of any others?

Here's the link about the other Hi-Nu template. The link to the file seems to have been removed or needs some kind of login. If anyone gets it working or has saved it prior let us know!
