The wayback machine is great at archiving text, but not so great in saving files...
They're not backing up the internet, it's basically the same as Google's cache feature, only a lot longer back.

Yeah, it's pretty hit and miss with finding archived files with the wayback machine. Some sites have their files reconstructed to where it's almost like the site was never down, while other times the text is almost all that's left. I think the passage of time has a lot to do with it. Good luck on finding the sandworm.
