What did you use to construct that menger's sponge? I have three level one menger's sponges I made from sinobi units a while back, but this looks different...

This one is a card style build. 3456 pieces.(or something like that)

This woman made a level 3 menger sponge through a "collaborative" project (she would send cards to volunteers, and they would assemple pieces and send them back to her).

The thing used over 66,000 business cards, measures 1.40m on each side, and weights 70kg o_O

The modules are build just like>>29942said; additionaly, once the six cards are laid out to form the cube, similar cards are used to cover the flaps of the first (uh... it's really simple... but I can't seem to put it into words =P)

"Two cubes can be linked by positioning them as shown above. Take the two flaps on one face and tuck them under the corners of the two flaps on the adjacent face of the other cube. The joint is surprisingly strong! You can keep adding cubes like this to build any structure you can think of.

If you don't like the flaps showing on the outside of a face, you can cover them with another card by tucking its flaps under the corners of the flaps you want to hide. "
