Skies of Arcadia Anonymous
So I was browsing /v/ the other night when someone started up a Skies of Arcadia thread. Towards the end of that threads life, someone posted this (pic related, as well as pics to come). Usually, I don't really care one way or the other about papercraft and the like, but this caught my eye. I need to create this, /po/.

Most of it seems pretty straightforward, but there are some things I don't quite understand and I was hoping you could fill me in before I sit down to do this. I'll post all of the pages and point out what I don't get.

Thanks, /po/. In return, The Albatross.

So far, so good. The bridge seems simple enough.

I get the cannons (1) and the bow (3), but I have no idea what to do with the gray lines (2). Any ideas?

can you post the model files please, there are 10 strips and 10 cannons, i assume they wrap around the ends of the cannons to create a sort of lip or barrel?

This page also seems pretty self-explanatory. I take it the green parts are to be cut out for the masts and such.

The fins (7) are probably reinforced with toothpicks in the OP, but I don't know how they attach or what the red and black squares are for. I'm guessing my questions are somehow related.

Don't worry; I'll post all of them.

Sails seem easy enough, too.

Masts, it would seem. I guess the white parts are cut out for the sails to attach to.

This is just the stand.

And finally, the hull. Again I think I've got this one mostly figured out. The blue dots mark the fins and engines.

Thanks for that idea for the cannons. It makes sense and it's what I was thinking, but I wanted to get the/p(r)o/'s opinions.
>> grumpy old man
the white parts on the masts are not cut out. the show where the masts and sails "crosstrees attach

Ah! That also makes sense. Thanks for that, grumps. Has anyone got any idea about those fins? I've come to the conclusion that the boxes cover the blue dots on the hull where the fins attach, but I'm still not sure what to do about the fins themselves.

After looking at an in-game model, I can also tell you all that (8) in>>149484is the propulsion and goes on the rear over the green spot in>>149492.

I still can't figure out those fins. C'mon, guys!

One more bump so that the late night/European /po/eple can see it on the front page. G'nite, /po/.

it seems those strips of grey do go on the back end of the cannon, if you look at the picture the back ends of the cannon have a large grey portion, but when looking at the template they only have a small strip and then white tabs for something else, the grey strips should go on that white space

yeah i think your right, my bad

OP here. There might be. The Little Jack and Delphinus would be pretty sweet, but I haven't seen them or anything else.

>>149727

That's another good idea. I haven't found the time to start it yet, but I'll try both (without glue, of course) and see which looks better.

Bump for those goddamned fins.

OP here...

...again...

If no one here can help me with those fins, can someone at least point me in the direction of someone who can?

...Please...?

If I had it or knew where to find it, I'd link you to it. However, I don't. Sorry.

All I want to know is how I'm supposed to put those fins on! ;_;

Draco for you, in hopes of a trade of sorts...

At a guess I'd say you need to cut a slit in hull/black and brown square and stick it partially through, glueing it in place.

*sigh* All right then. I figured there was a better way to do it, but I suppose not. Damn. That'll make the hull a bit tricky... Oh, well. Thanks Anon. In return, I post more awesome airships. Maybe someone'll be inspired to make more skies papercraft.

First, The Little Jack with Captain Drachma.

The Delphinus, pre-upgrades, with its intended Captain Enrique.

Finally, the airships of the Valuan Armada. From left to right, starting with the back, they are:

Belleza's Lynx, De Loco's Chameleon, Vigoro's Draco, Gregorio's Auriga, Galcian's Serpent, Ramirez's Monoceros, and Alphonso's Cygnus.

Thanks again, /po/. I'll find a way to post pics when I finish it.

I want the lynx
