>> gizmogal !MmLOyiCYJs
it's... HUGE.

can someone PLEASE make a smaller one? it will definitly not fit on one page... :(

That aside, it's FUCKING EPIC!
>> Anonymous
Uhmmm, it's like 8.5" x 11" @ 300 dpi. That's huge?!
>> Anonymous

Fit to page? :F
>> Anonymous
I didn't make any adjustments, just pulled into PS and checked the format. 8.5" x 11" at 300 dpi. Anyone getting larger needs to resample down to 300 dpi.

I... love... you!

Is this awesome?

Posting once again to emphasize its awesomeness. Best post on /po/.

Hot sweetness.
Been asked for so many times.
Win win and win.
>> Anonymous
Someone should put this in the plus4chan /po archives...

Unfortunately, those have been dead since 05.6.06, 9:52 am.
It would be great to have some sort of archive that would hold at least the stuff /po/ fans make, since that stuff usually doesn't have a regular site where you could get those papercrafts.

Uuuuuughh!
I made this model. But he wont stand up. There's no support on the front right of him so he just topples forward. Pretty pissed off really.
Think I'll have to make a little base for him to stand on.
>> Anonymous
(op here)

I've made two of these so far. Both of the stand just fine. Make sure the legs are properly spaced; not too close together. That should help.

You know it's Christmas and my heart is open wide,
Gonna give you something so you know what's on my mind,
A gift real special, so take off the top,
Take a look inside --

Dear /po/,

[op here] I'm working on another papercraft to go with my Snake in a Box. It should look good standing next to Snake.

It takes me a lot longer to design than other people because I don't use Pepakura Designer or any 3d modeling software. I draw it all out on paper and adjust from there after making prototypes. Then I take it into Photoshop for coloring and final touches. So be patient.

you're a hell of a lot more prompt than the guy who was promising a Canti craft

I'm a papercraft noob, should i be using glue or tape? My finger hurts like a bitch from overusing the tape.
>> Anonymous

Maybe because you should use glue?

Watch out snake! Coffee!

Amazing, I've never done any papercraft before but I am making this for sure. Cheers for getting me into it.
>> Anonymous
i use tape too
>> Anonymous
Man I love you, but in what kind of page do i print it?
>> Anonymous
I'm failing hard here as I can't find a fit to page option anywhere when I try to print from Firefox.
>> Anonymous
>>33578

don't try to print them straight from firefox, even at 300 dpi like the OP said it's still freaking huge. If you have ifranview (and if you don't, get it) or another image editor, hell, use word if you can't get one, and set it print to best fit to page.

Good sir, I would like to know how you go about designing papercrafts without the aid of 3d models or pepakura designer.
I hope to be able to do the same some day.
>> Not using modeling software Anonymous
In response to your query>>33639, It's a very slow and thought-intensive process designing papercraft without 3d software.

Basically, I sketch out an idea of what I want to make. Then I try to draw a three-dimensional sketch. Once that turns out, I have to envision "unfolding" my 3d sketch; and I draw that out also.
If it looks like it will work, I draw it again on the computer (just lines so far) and print it out on cheap paper. I try to assemble that piece. If some parts don't quite match up, I will have a really good idea of what part needs fixing (lenghtened, shortened, etc.)
Then it's just a matter of painting the surface colors or textures and printing it out on cardstock. Voila!

This turned out very well. Thanks for sharing.
