Is there a monster list of these that have been uploadede to RS that you would share? I had no luck myself with eMule, cannot find with RapidSearch, and the old list of GPM models from late last year (sets 1, 2 and 3) have gone away. The Russian site is cool, but dl's suck more there than on Rapidshare.

Yeah, the stuff is coming out of a Russian server, and is cloogey as hell and is a real pain. Also, some of the older stuff might be dead now. I'll see what I can find or do. I'm not from over there, just tried and figured out what is up with that place. Google translator is your friend (sometimes).

You make Anonymous feel like a 19-year old geezer, as his father (not grand) is a 'nam vet. And also, Anonymous would like to sneak in a request for other copters, like an Apache for example, since Daddy-o happens to be a Gulf vet, too. Or hell, a B-2 is fine too.

Search for Maly ModelArt or Maly ModelArz on the www or your favourite p2p program; this guy/company nowadays made tons of highly detailed papercraft airplanes. Used to be sold as kits, but you know... Internet, affordable scanners, you do the math...

Also, bookmark this site: http://www.3dpapermodel.com.tw/freedownload/download-asp/link.asp?ID=free
and this one in this case in particular: http://www.3dpapermodel.com.tw/freedownload/download-asp/link.asp?id=free&areana=Airplane

I'll upload a 1/48 scale Spitfire by "Dr Emil Zarkov", Modelart/z's designer. It's a free download from http://www.papermodels.co.il/
It's one of the "simple" kits obviously (since it's free), if you succeed in building it, then and only then you may try one of the far more detailed ones. ;)

I'll upload the Harrier I have as well. It's an old one, but you needn't go all /b/tard about the faint colors. If you're worried about that, you need to realize that what you see on screen, isn't what you get when you print it. It'll look fine when printed.

Don't know how smart you guys are, but these parts shouldn't be printed on cardstock, they are the reinforcements and need to be cut out of 2 mm thick cardboard.
This won't fit in your printer (like I said: I don't know how smart you guys are... ;), so print these on normal paper (saves you cardstock money), then glue them onto the cardboard or just trace them then cut them out.
This page also shows you how to make the wheels: If you want professional results, you need cork, paperclips to bend and something to thicken the wheels (you shouldn't just glue the wheels back to back, they're way to thin. Of course if that's all too much trouble, you can just do that anyway (or build a flying version without the landing gear ;).

Now the instructions, which are in Polish (this is from the Maly ModelArZ era).
Luckily, the pictures are in English.

Actually there are a few companies PeOple should look into, namely GPM, Gomix/Fly Model, ModelCard, Modelik and last but not least, Halinski. Right now, I have a Halinski Bergepanther in my possession, although I want to sell it, and let me tell you... about 15 A3 pages of parts, complete interior with torsion bars, engine, steering assembly, gearbox, crane, everything. It is a monster.

Polish companies have a lot of experience when it comes to paper models. Sure, plastic stuff is shitty (well, it does get better), but Poland is card Mecca. Anyone wants 2 meter long aircraft carriers or battleships? Head our way - or look for scanned stuff in the Internets

Oh, and one more thing: I haven't made the Harrier, but I've heard its internal structure is does not fit actual hull parts - the parts are smaller, than they should be. Look for Fly Model or GPM one for better quality.

Either this fixing was needed or we don't live in the same Poland.

Do kindly check what Halinski is doing. Tiger, Panther G, Berge, Flak 38 et. al. Also, Modelcard Star with ZU-23 and Flyo Model M88 Hercules. More?

>>35132Oh, and one more thing: I haven't made the Harrier, but I've heard its internal structure is does not fit actual hull parts - the parts are smaller, than they should be.

If you're talking about the Harrier from>>35014, I have made this Harrier, and I've experienced myself its internal structure fits perfectly (nice and snug, so they actually do something, reinforcing it) actual hull parts - the parts are just the right size, as they should be.
Don't believe everything (anything?) you read on the www. People tend to think they know stuff, when they do not. ;)
It's a tight fit, but it's supposed to be a tight fit. Also, the hull parts don't have tabs, they're "butt joints" (where you glue the 2 edges against eachother, NOT overlapping) maybe that's what you mean? If you try to get them to overlap, well yeah: then they don't fit, because they're not supposed to. ;)
Butt joints are used because otherwise the parts would be thicker (twice as thick, obviously), where the parts overlap the glueing tab. You'd get a bulge, and many paper airplane model designers don't like that.
