Im new to /po/ and I was wondering is there any kind of paper I should use to make this stuff or will any paper suffice. Also any tips for a newb would be nice but this is 4chan so Im not hlding my breath. Pic definitely not related.

Most people use cardstock, 160-200 gsm (or 90-110 lbs if you're in the US).
Regular printer paper is about 80 gsm (45 lbs).
Since it's thinner, the final papercraft won't be as sturdy as when you use cardstock, but it's not impossible to use of course. Cardstock bends and folds just as easily as regular printer paper if you're patient enough for this hobby, only thing is that regular paper is cheaper. ;o)
