So, I'm a little new at creating papecraft, and I need your opinion /po/,

Should I finish him now (torso/texture), or should I try something easier and come back to him?
>> Wanijobo
Is it...
Could it possibly be?!
Are you designing a Quote model?!

I'd say finish now.
And also, you may want to reconsider that triangle on his face, as it looks kinda weird.
>> Charles here Charles Bradbury
Quote, is it? Wondrous works there, anon. The lower parts of the head looks a bit wonky, but I'm sure this will get better.
I say go for it. Work with the torso, re-do the textures and I'm sure that sooner or later you'll drown to the flood of awesome.
You have my support. Go for it!

Wow, thanks.

He's coming along nicely, unraps pretty well too.
Would anyone out there like to help? I need to convert this to a pdf for the texture editing, but I'm working on an unregestered ver. of Pepakura 3. I could just take a screen cap and work on it as a jpg, but I know pdo or pdf is more desired here.

If I upload the 3d file, could someone do the file conversion?

You could use a *coughcough* completely legitimate bought copy of Pepakura Designer 2.

I'm using this as a source, trying to find a mid ground between it and the in-game sprite (ex: notice that I went with blue eyes, like the sprite, instead of the images black ones).

Tried to get to get the jaw to slope as abruptly as in the pic. Also the triangle is an attempt at the nose, any suggestions?

where might i aquire this *ahem* legal copy?

Woah! It's Quote!

Sorry I can't help you with your designing; I really don't know about that. But keep up the good work! I cannot wait until it is done!

I would like to recommend that you leave the nose off altogether, or at least make it smaller though.

Well, the modeling is complete. Got all the details, including a model Pole Star. Shrunk the nose down, and attaching it is optional.

Unrapping/texturing in progress, test build to come soon.

Looking good so far. Let's hope the unwrapping and texturing goes well.

The unrapping went pretty well, but because I'm working in gimp, it seems I'll only be producing a pdo and a bmp/jpg.

Anyhow, I have to say that small papercrafts are a little tricky(at this scale the neck is a real pain), i think I'll have to scale up for a release.

olawd is that some Dracula
>> Anonymous
Is it that bad then?
>> Anonymous
So I've done that badly?
>> Anonymous
>>178323
I think it is coming along quite well. Does look a little dracula-ish in the wip picture, though. I think it'll look a lot more like Quote, though, once you add the hat and electronic thingies. Keep it up :)

Alright! Don't give up hope. Tell us when it's done.

>>178311
Holy crap. You can switch Quote into a Dracula?

Do want.

Got to say, I did get a little discouraged.

But, the test model is complete, and I think it looks great for my first try. I'll admit, it is pretty bad when a paper craft you've designed seems a little daunting. Yet, I am sure scaling it up a few will help.

pdo/bmp to come soon after a few bugs are worked out, if /po/ still wants them....
>> Anonymous
Certainly good for a first try. The biggest problem I have with it is the eyes actually, not the model itself. I like the style you did in the first post better.

Nevertheless, please do post it! I would love to have it.

hey don't sell yourself short, that's a great first model. You don't wanna see my first attempt at designing"cringe"

And 4/4

Oh, and sorry for the miss-tags on my "1/4" post, also getting use to some of the more 4 chan specific text chatter.

Think I picked the right board to start with, /po/ is one of the more friendly boards.

Your /po/ name is now "masamune", use it each time you post to identify yourself.

Eh, not going to work. I've been around long enough to know you guys don't like him/her very much.

Guess I spoke too soon, unless you meant that in some well-meaning way.

Nah, It's just some smart ass trolling trying to get a rise out of you. Just ignore it.

Thank you for posting the model!

Np man.

Though I'm in the midst of a few other things right now, I am thinking about making a partner model of Curly, with machine gun of course.

Shoulden't be too hard, most of the last model's parts can be canibalized, with modified torso, pant, and hair parts.
