That looks simple enough, beginning my attempt at figuring it out.

Just trying out an idea here.
I need to figure out flaps and paper sizing...
Disregard that my quickfolding is crappy...

Getting warmer...

Well, boxpleating gets the top tab offcentered like the pic, but MY boxpleating needs quitea bit of cleaning up, and I need to pull up a membrane and hide those pesky flaps...
Well, I can worry about that after lunch.

Okay, so I think I have it basically figured out, and I made a CP template. This pic is me doing the model solely on horizontal, vertical, and 45 degree folds. Obviously the folds need shifted and shaping and stuff, but I'll let you worry about that. CP to follow soon...

Well, there you go, 6X6 grid, and there's a simple tab/pocket latch to hold down the top flap. Hope this works for you guys.

Totally new to this. How do I papercraft ?

Hoo boy, well first off, this particular model is origami, not papercraft, papercraft involves cutting and glueing. For this model I have provided a CP or Crease Pattern. The pattern is not really a complete set of instructions, but rather a representation of where the creases in the paper are in a specific model. In my CP, the black lines are mountain folds, meaning the paper is folded so that it looks like a mountain, and the red are valley folds, the opposite of a mountain fold. If you make all these folds slowly, you will end up with something that looks similar to my model, but you also need to mess around with layering and tabs, CPs are usually quite difficult for beginners. Hope that helped!

Thanks, I'll try my best

Hmm... You want to do this model specifically? If so, I can give some semi-helpful photos.

No, anything with a heart is ok. I want something to give to my girl. I tried this one and can't get it done :( I'll try anything you post

Might I suggest these simple alternatives?
The third one is actually an action model too.

Okay, for this model first off make sure the colour you want the heart to be is in front and crease, crease, crease. Get all those marked folds in, and remember, the folds are based on a six by six square grid! When the creases are made, fold 90 degrees on the two vertical folds near the edges and the horizontal one near the bottom. The corners of the paper should stick back behind.

Well this is tough to see isn't it?
Anyway, you should have a triangle at each corner, fold it in half to hold the bottom of the model together.

Make these folds partway...
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
They should lay like this on the back of the paper.
>> Anonymous

grab the coloured flap on the outside, and fold it back against the paper, the right side shows the fold in progress, while the left shows it completed.

Fold both flat like this.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
take the upper flap here, and fold it down partway.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Okay, now for the UPPER locking mechanism.
Fold triangles up to act as tabs...
>> Anonymous

...and put them into the upper slots.
Thiss WILL be a bit finickety, ust bend it, and let the paper slide.

Holy cow! Curse my huge fingers, they made a few grammatical errors in that last step...
Anyway, when the flaps are fully inserted, the whole deal will hold together pretty nicely like so.
>> Anonymous

Okay, see where I have my finger laying here? Yeah, right there...

Push that sucker down in to the diagonal creases.

And there you have it! Shape it up a bit and you could have it looking like the OPs pic in no time. I actually kinda like this "Polygonal Heart" myself.

Hooray.
