Sauce: "Practical Origami". There are also other modular origami in the book.

Thanks. It is the same as the cp the guy made, but this is helpful if I want to tell someone how to do it.

It's an excellent book.
I recommend it for beginners and intermediates.

i have the book too you know the font with the giant weaved star thing?.. what do you use for that?... i found a site but it dosnt say what to use for that one

It's fairly easy.

If it comes apart you are either doing the locking part wrong, not folding up the lower part of it; or you are using less than 12 modules. Sturdy paper would be helpful. I'm not sure you know, but there tends to be 2 types of origami paper; one really thin and one a bit thicker. Thicker is obviously helpful for this one.

Haha! Thanks. It's cool to find the original instructions, but I'm really glad to find that my reverse-engineered cp was correct.

Also, I used colored printer paper and that seemed sturdy enough. The hardest part of this is the locking, as you have to have three units in a row to make one lock. That can make the last lock difficult.
