Glue Anonymous
Hi guys.
What kind of glue do you use in papercraft?

(flips out) Do not anger the denizens of this board as we often carry knives and scissors!

As for your question - hey, I'm a flipping out bastard, but one that helps, I used Elmer's interior wood glue and duck brand superhold gluestick.

uhu and scotch make good gluesticks too, get strong hold permanent.

Takada makes a paper glue that is to die for, but it is really hard to get outside of japan. I typically buy a box of them whenever I am over there. But at 120$ for 12, it can really kill the wallet.

I use horse semen

I find that horse semen is too inconsistent, quality-wise. Unless you own the horse, then you can get better consistency, but still not as good as I would like.

Now badger semen! That is the rolls-royce of your mammalian ejaculates.

Yes, but slug slime...now THAT is an adhesive worth the investment.

Yes, the only drawback with it is the harvesting process. You either need to farm them and carefully collect it or train one to follow your flaps perfectly.

Elmers.

because I can.

Aleene's tacky glue is far superior to any form of elmer's, and it only costs about 40 cents for a bottle big enough to last you more than a month. Use toothpicks to spread it and hold it tightly for about 10 seconds for a good hold, works well in bad situation where you cant squeeze the tabs too!

Wow, if I had to hold each tab 10 seconds before I could move on...
Amazing how 10 seconds is not much time, but in other situations, it is, it's all relative.
But usually, you don't need to hold a tab 10 seconds, usually, I can just spread some glue, put the tab and part together, press a little, and it already sticks luckily. Waiting 10 seconds is way too long for me. Don't use too much glue is most important I think.
