/po/ I think I'm going mad again. I made the Fox mask and I kept noticing these little imperfection so I paper mached it. Then I decided to sand it and paint it with acrylic. It didn't look perfect then so I grabbed the Modeling paste and started crafting lips and teeth. Now it looks like some sort of stupid rat monster and I wrote "this is james" on the inside. James being my roommates name. I Think this is a bad sign.

haha yeah yeah i had had the same problem. i vacuumed formed a mask for Halloween last year. then wasn't happy w/ the plastic surface so i spray painted it, then wasn't happy and tried to remove the paint the by the end of the night started using a dremil and just attacking the dam thing.

If you ever have that happen again, there is an automotive degreaser called Greased Lightning Cleaner Degreaser. It will remove the paint but not attack the plastic. I use it on those 30mm plastic tabletop battle miniatures and it takes the paint right off if you let them soak in it. It comes in a spray bottle so I imagine that it would work just as well sprayed onto what you are describing.

I don't know if paper mache is considered /po/ but if it is I will post pics when I'm done. Judging by how the modeling paste is drying it should be done without a paint job by friday.

using a dremel to shape the mouth. It's starting to look pretty good. It's a shame I don't know shit about painting, otherwise this could end up looking pretty fucking amazing.
