Paper molecules? Yoji
For starters, I know this request sounds a bit stupid, but it's worth a try.

A friend of mine is wondering if there's anything that remotely resembles molecules. Y'know, like you see models of?

So far, the first thing I could think of was a recolored katamari, which would make for a funky-looking molecule.

pic absolutely related for a change

These look fitting :D

I find making proper molecules with proper molecule model sets is a pain in the ass (as does every chemistry/genetics student, really). Making them out of paper even more so.

Well, the sets we use were actually DESIGNED to make it EASY to build simple representations of molecules. If you know what atoms to use on the molecule in question, that is. But that's not something you can blame on the building set, now is it? ;)

Anyway: only papercraft molecule I know of, and it's not like you can build all kinds of with some basic atom templates, basically just this one molecule.

Here's what it's supposed to look like.

This is used to teach stereo-chemistry (molecules that are mirror images do not necessarily have the same chemical properties)
