/po/ I've had the ocarina papercraft on my computer for some time now and I am starting to make it.

Only thing is that...I have no clue how you fashion the A and B pieces. And the it sticks off of the ocarina, yes?

Please help?
>> radnomness
And then it sticks*
>> radnomness
Please, anyone know how to do this?

I tried to lurk and cant find anything.

glue B down where it says to with the edges folded up, and let A rest over top of it. Glue the edges to overlap when you fold.

I was thinking about a paper ocarina the other day and wondered if anyone has the template for one. Thanks Utter Radnomness, you saved me the trouble of asking.

aside from the fact that it's made from regular lined notebook paper, and that i put it together with a glue stick, it doesn't seem to work...is it supposed to?

I made mine out of plain letter sized paper, I think that you
need something a lot more sturdy for it to be able to play.

If you think about it, for it to play correctly you need every
seem to not leak while playing and the cuts need to be
very clean on the holes/square.

If anyone needs the notes here they are. Mine is able to
play up to the fourth opened hole, then it just sounds all
windy after that. Any more tips?
Also, you might not want to glue the entire mouthpeice
down, just do the corners, and the you can pop in on ur
lips and move it up and down to get the right mind
direction.

also it needs to be able to resonate...meaning use stiffer paper

thanks fr the sheets.. iv'e ben trying to blow softly and other stuff, and i can hear some notes, but i'll just go ahead and try the stiffer paper...

blindfag? lol, but honestly, im not anon.

I made the Papercraft Ocarina just now, my high C cord is a bit flemsy, other than that it just needs to be tweeked around a little bit.
Right now im trying to get my school's fight song down.
Poor Ocarina limited to only one octave. Someone should really model a transverse or double ocarina soon. That would FTW soooo much.

p.s. the pic is a cruddy phone pic of my schools theme song. If anyone would be able to take their precious time (haha ya on 4chan ^^) and convert it to the names of the notes that would be really awesome.

Too hard to read, do it yourself.
G
----------------------------------------------------------------F--------
Eb
-----------------------------------------------------D-------------------
C
-------------------------------------------Bb----------------------------
A
---------------------------------G----------------------------------------
F
----------------------Eb-------------------------------------------------
D
-C-
Bb
-A-

That should do it, b= flat by the way, oh and the sqaurish looking thing (in your music) means natural aka normal.

oops forgot that would happen

oh, i see, the dashes are the staffs, and the dots are the open space between the staffs.
I'm not great at reading music but i could figure this out.
and is there a specific reason why the e's and b's are flat, or is it just kind of randomly flat for the music?

how is this supposed to work? there are no holes going from the bellows to the pipes o.O
>> Anonymous
I have an actual ocarina made from plastic; it probably won't work unless it is made from plastic or ceramic or something hard and rounded. My plastic one has a bad enough sound as it is...And also Ocarinas are special in that the harder you blow, the higher the note is, allowing you to bend notes. On mine, you get a hollow, windy noise from blowing too softly on the higher notes. The blowing speed is meant to be used to control the bending of notes downward and not upward, so you have to reserve the slower speeds for that.
