If you like functional models, why not try to get the V8 (V-twin actually) engine as well?

I just hope it won't end up like the Fembot thnig

>>43924
It can't. Some guy made that and will never release it. So it's out of /po/'s power.
This is just a papercraft book/kit that you can buy. If /po/ wants this and doesn't get this, then nobody else is to blame but /po/. It IS available if you really want it so you can't blame someone else if he or she doesn't upload it: there are other ways. ;)

This is gonna be awesome! People are gonna freak out when I show them a 100% paper clock XD
>> Anonymous
how does it move?...wind up?...
>> Anonymous
>>44607
i would guess it moves like a grandfather clock does, with weights?
>> Anonymous
from what i heard it uses a paperclip as a weight by tying it to a piece of string.
Of course, i think its probably possible to replace all this with paper XD (for a truely 100% paper clock)
>> Anonymous
>>44637
A PAPERCLIP?!?! Me thinks it needs a little more weight, or a lot of lubricant.......
>> Anonymous
Thing is, the pages of this book are pretty heavy-duty.

I've had this book for over a decade myself, but I didn't scan it because it's too big for my scanner and frankly, the outlines aren't very well aligned as they are (the pre-WWII edition was apparently worse...).

It'd probably be best if some Anonymous with lots of free time and a CAD program could make a new edition that works out better for /po/: preferably one that scales well to a more accessible paper size (i.e. US Letter or A4).
>> Anonymous
>>44683
to get mine to work i had to go to kinko's and copy each page scaled down like 15% or something and then that got it to letter size then i scaned that and calened up the lines. I built mine out of 110lb card stock and it works just fine

Damn it, if I only had a credit card...

rapidshit or it didn't happen.

THERES A PRE WWII ONE?!? (please dont kill me for asking but how do you get qoute number thing?...)
>> Anonymous
i saw it on http://www.amazon.ca/Make-Your-Working-Paper-Clock/dp/0060910666/ref=pd_rhf_p_6/702-1850491-3293614
so you have to hang it on the wall?..
>> Anonymous
Does anyone even have one to scan????
I'd think that would be an integral part of the project we await....

I saw it on the B&N website too.
>> Anonymous
>>44914
Yes, and I don't have a scanner that is big enough.
>>44888
Yes there is, no, it is highly unlikely that you would ever ever ever get your hands on it, because the book that you can buy today is based on that book, which had gone out of print (if indeed it was printed) long before the author got ahold of it. Moreover, the available book was redrawn more accurately and has an introduction written by Isaac Asimov, so why the heck would you NOT get that edition?
(Also, read the FAQ, please)

Incidentally, wasn't this featured in that show The Pretender?
