Barad-dur smpmu,pid
Is there a papercraft of barad-dur or orthanc? I feel like making a kickass tower that looks like something built in hell out of win and awesome. If there is not such a papercraft, feel free to supply any largish source pictures not readily found on google that might help me make the template.

I don't know of any.

How big would you make it?

I don't know. I think it would depend heavily on if I could get a decent idea of the surface texture. It the texture was really complex, I would just draw it on, if it was moderate, I might make a mix of small columns and blocks to glue on. Though I think I would still be aiming for around 3 feet tall on either. In my head, I am telling myself, "However tall it would be and still fit on 30 sheets or less.

Snagged it. Yes, this would definitely work, a little modding of the rock and lower keep, A LOT of textures in photoshop, and we'll have a tower nobody will be able to build since we all seem to live in one-room apartments or in our parent's basements. hehe. size-concerns suck.

I thought it would be useable...(damn must learn how to make models myself)
Too bad "size" is a problem for you...
I live in a large 3 floor 5 bedroom family house so no probs here (apart from the wife and an Epic sized dog that is )
Looking forward to your model!
