Looking for advice on the best way to design papercraft hands.

I'm almost finished designing a model. I plan to make her about five inches tall, and the hands will be maybe half an inch long. Very small.
I have three options:

1. Full detailed hands with individual fingers.

2. Boxy fists.

3. 2D hands with bent fingers.

Option 1 is probably out just because of how small the model is. But I'm torn between options 2 and 3.

Or if I cared enough, I could offer two versions of the hands. Option 1 + one of the other two.

I strongly recommend a full detailed finger model ^^ , because 2,3 is everyone who can use meta. can make . ^^

I suggest modeling the hands as you want them and adding lines post-model to indicate fingers. At that size, individual fingers would suck without a microscope. Boxy fists look odd and you would need to add lines later anyway. And I just plain do not like 2D flat hands.

Maybe take a look at how it was done on the EVA01, where as long as you have it angled right you get a 3D look but much easier.

Compromise between all three.
Make the 2d hand, and add boxyness.
its just a couple folds and whatnot
and itll make your model look a lot better
when i made haruhi, i felt somewhat cheated by the flat hands
and boxy is just too ugly on such an elaborate model
