it's just really thick. You can get by with 67lb or whatever it is that's around 60lbs. 110 is just thicker is all.
>> Anonymous
sorry, its just that 110lb is thick, and can be a pain if your model has small parts.

has anyone ever made a model that was fairly detailed with 110 lb cardstock?

OP Here:
messed around with some printer paper i had kicking around the apartment... made a Gir, cheated a bit because the paper was kinda shitty but it turned out decent and was a relatively amusing time :3
will have to try again with proper supplies

do you use it for all your models? big or small?

110lb Cardstock isn't good for models, unless your model is a cube. Because you get wrinkles in all of the folds, and it ends up looking like crap.

Yes, all of my models are made with 110lb.

>>201279
This is why you must score the folds.

What is a good scoring tool? right now im using a plastic mech pencil, but it didnt work very well, so i just fold carefully, but i would like to get something to score with.
>> Anonymous
a dead ball pen is a great scoring tool
>> Anonymous
I don't understand "scoring" in this context.

ok but itd be a pain in the ass to run one out of ink.

scoring -
A] treating women as trophies in the game of one-night-stands, a successful intercourse event is a score, to do this is scoring

B] to rent open the face surface of paper in order to reveal the white below the printing and weaken its integrity to induce controlled beinding

alternative
boss (deboss, lowering surface, or emboss, raising surface)
pressing a tool to a surface to make decorative recesses or promote controllable bending of textile.

is it that hard to find a dead pen?
or use one with ink
as long as you just score the inside of the model there's no real problem

I sharpen pens on a grindstone so I can score, otherwise I'd be embossing.

Since this keeps getting bumped, What else do you want to know?

If it's nothing please stop.

A good pair of scissor, waterpainting paper, and epoxy should do the work just fine.
