Pepakura Question Anonymous
Hi, /po/, I have a question about Pepakura. Sometimes, when you unfold a model, there are parts thare are not needed fort the papercraft. I know some people just drag those part to the side so that they will not be printed. But is there a way to just delete them?

I am unfolding a model now and there are a couple of those unneeded parts. I'm probably just being anal about it but it bothers me that they're there and I want them gone.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Pic not really related.

Before you even start up Pepakura, you make or in most cases here edit/fix the model so that you don't have parts that are unlogical to build, or even just totally unnecessary in a 3D application.
Parts you don't need, you delete, and then they won't appear in Pepakura, because they're no longer there. Simple.

That really didn't answer my question, did it?

Isn't there a way to delete them in Pepakura without going back to the 3d app? It's just that sometimes, you don't always catch these little thing before you unfold and you get these unnecessary parts.

Not that I'm aware of but most people don't seem to have an issue with throwaway parts. I see it as a non-issue really.

I intentionally put extra poly's into my model, not used in the finished papercraft that allow the automatic addition of tabs without me having to reference the 3D model. This ensures the tabs I need are in the right places and removes the need to manually insert tabs. (See images in the Ebon Hawk thread, the green textured parts are markers).
