The password is not something from the program, it's something from the designer: the only reason I can think of to lock a Pepakura file is because you don't want people to change anything about it, so you could try e-mailing and asking the designing, but if he's okay with telling you the password, I don't understand why he used one in the first place lol. As for removing the password: in the early days of /po/, I thought there was mentioning that if you opened the Pepakura file with a hex editor, you could remove two of the lines (first or last, or I could be completely wrong), then saved it without these lines, it wouldn't be locked anymore. But it might just have been a dream. As for converting Pepakura files back to object files: if you check the section formats at http://web.axelero.hu/karpo/ you'll see that it can supposedly open Pepakura files, and that it can save as MANY different 3D file types, including obj. It's not free.
