From the time the first request of other spiky Babies was asked when Series 6 came, maybe 1-2 days or less and Incognito graced us with his eternal blessing

1) What is a spiky baby?
2) Why should I build one?

1. Its a very simplistic yet cool custom 'urban toy' from Pepakura modeler Shin Tanaka, 27yrs. He allows visitors and fans to send in their custom stylings on a template and he creates the final and releases. It's considered rare to have them since he only releases them for limited time to download and collect then no longer availible. (but Anonymous delivers wonderfully!)

His Site: http://www.ohashi-lab.bio.kyutech.ac.jp/~shin/

2. Once you build it, you'll shit bricks

I think you have the first two numbers mixed up. Thanks again for going through the trouble to find the first two series.

I remember when reading an article on Shin Tanaka from Japan Times Online that he originally left the templates up for anyone to download. It wasn't until someone started selling the assembled models on e-bay that he made it a point to make the releases available for a limited time only.

The paper sneakers that you can create designs for are based off the fact that when he was younger, he liked the designs on some of the shoes he would come across, but they were too expensive. He decided to start making papercraft versions of all the shoes he had ever wanted, but couldn't afford.

He also had a desire to start a program where artists could collaborate on creating cheap toys with beautiful designs. He was looking for something cheaper and more accessible than toys made from plastic, which is the basic idea behind his papercraft toys.

The newspaper is one of those that you have to subscribe to in order to read the articles. If anyone wants, I can see if I can find the url again.

lol. I didn't mean the Spiky Baby Series collection that you found, but the response numbers you posted seem to be mixed up. No. 48580 was thanking you, and No. 48624 was asking about why he/she should be interested in the spiky babies, but they're reversed in the post.

When I was looking through what I did find of the first two series, it was incredibly confusing, so I'm actually a bit impressed that you got them in order.
