110lb 200g/m2 is the most common, but if you feel it is to think you could use more like 65-70lb paper, regular printer paper is normally around 20lb 75g/m2 just for refrence, i started with it and switched to card stock, it takes some getting used to (ALWAYS remember to score your folds) but in the end the result is worth it
p.s. remember to use glue suited for papercraft, they make glue especially for it, but regular elmers white glue can be used, just let it dry on a scrap piece of paper for a bit before aplying it with a toothpick or another scrap piece of paper (if your using card stock, a scrap of 20lb is to flimsy to use)
