sorry, but i have found that sharing models only gets you banned. as for fierce diety, i'm trying to get the mask but the supid game wont give it to me for some reason, i'll keep trying but if i do get it, i'm gonan need someone to take the wrl and export it into a .3d if someone can do that for me i will share it and maybe the masks too

and yes, you can i guess, i was atleast. i had found a model that i knew people were looking for, so i decided it would be nice to share it. i quickly posted it (because i had to run out) and the next day i went back to check if there was anything good or interesting posted and it said i was banned for "being a troll" i dont know how or why, i didnt post anything elese that day and the day before i want even on, so i dont even understand. from there on i decided i wasnt gonna post models if people are seriously gonna be like that

What do you use to rip the models? I've been searching for over two hours now and still haven't come up with anything to rip 3D models from N64 roms. There's tons of info about others that have done it but no one seems to post anything about where to find programs that will allow you to do this. any help would be greatly appreciated

Don't worry. Sharing won't get you banned. Dunno why you got banned before, but it could have been an honest mixup, or someone hitting the wrong button. Stuff like that happens.

I give up. (for now at least) Nemu won't work, it keeps quitting. I downloaded the Lemmy plug-in and I downloaded 1964 to try it. It's not working right either. It starts the game and then says "no controller" while the screen is doing all kinds of wild stuff. maybe i'm just doin it wrong. *sigh*:(

Thanks everybody soooo much for your help so far. I have another question for you all now. I read on a site that to rip models you have to go to video options during the game when the character you want to rip is onscreen and check export vrml. problem is, I'm not sure if they were referring to the lemmy plug-in or something else. it's just referred to as the nemu plug-in or something. do you have to do it this way or is there an easier way? here's a link to where i read this http://www.emutalk.net/archive/index.php/t-13169.html

meh, here are the four masks. the only thing though, the keaton mask really has no textures so you kinda have to just color the nose and tip of the ears in. no passwords

Whew! Finally got the thing to quit giving me the error message. Has anyone else tried ripping models using 1964 and lemmy? when i click video settings and check the box "export vrml" and then let it play a few seconds and then uncheck the box the only thing i get on my hard drive is a file that's labled "output.wrl" is this all i need to get my models or should there be more? also, anyone know of free programs that i could download to open this file type and/or convert it to something else that could be used in blender? I've googled and found mutlitple topics of people that had the same problem but then they post like two posts later "nvm. i fixed it" but never post how they fixed the problem.

hmm, well, it seems that in the Blender import menu, you can choose to import VRML 1.0 files, so maybe try to import that output.wrl file..? dunnoe, might work.

I think I had tried bringing the .wrl's into Blender once, and it didn't seem to work too well. I don't have a lot of experience with that sort of thing though, so maybe you can get it to work. G'luck. I really hope we get this working. I would love to have all the masks. I'd die of happiness.

You and me both. I've tried exporting it with blender with less than stellar results. (in other words: It didn't work). Most everything I've found says that 3d studio max and a program called maya will import them but those are not free so I doubt i'll be getting those unless someone has a keygen. In other news, while stumbling around the internet last night trying to solve these puzzling questions that have been plaguing me, I stumbled upon a nifty sounding papercraft. You guys might already have it, I don't know, but I knew I didn't so enjoy your Kokiri Sword.

Dammit, so can anyone sum up what I need to do to get anything going? In words humans can understand?

What I got is:
You download a Lemmy's plugin [which I can't find for some fucked-up reason], put it in 1964 [which means I need to start Majora's Mask all over again fuuck, I want P64 =(], activate the plugin somehow I don't know, export the model somehow, open it in Deep Exploration, convert, use with an editing program and jump to Pepakura?

Also, Sketchup can't open 3ds models, which sucks because I learned to use it just for this. Any other program I can edit models with?

I posted all the info on how to rip models from N64 game a while but here it is again:

This is what you need, the latest version of Lemmy's plug in, you need to create a folder in drive c: called VRML, this is where the output.wrl file and the textures will be dumped to, you can open the .wrl file with Deep Exploration, see>>115430.

As for the plug in, you put the file in the plug-ins folder an then you run the emulator.

[1] Now, you go to "Plug-ins" menu an click "Change plug-ins" or hit Ctrl+P.

[2] You choose "Nemu64 Graphics" option from Video plug-in option. [This only shows up if you put the lemmy plug-in in the plug-ins folder of 1964].

[3] At the moment the model you want to rip appears on screen, pause the emulation (F3).

[4] Click on "Plug-ins" menu and go to "Video Settings" or hit Ctrl+V.

[5] In the options window you mark the "Export VRML" option and click "OK".

[6] Go back to the game, and un-pause the game for a second, you can just hit (F3) two times, that's enough to rip the whole map.

Run Deep Exploration and just open the output.wrl file from the VRML folder in your HDD, there you can just go to "File> Save as..." and export the file as .3ds, .obj and many others.

And as for playing from a Project 64 save file you can do this, open your game in Project 64 and create a save state file and then load it into 1964, you just have to un-zip the file generated by Project 64.

Hope this helps, if you have more questions, except for model fixing [you need to learn how to use a 3D modeling program] you can ask freely.

Wow, that was painfully obvious. lol. don't know why i didn't think of that? thank you for your help. ^-^ I now have a .3ds model of the happy mask guy but he has two mouths. i'll post him if someone that's faster at this sort of thing wants to try and fix the mouth(s) and start working to make him into a papercraft. bah, I share models whenever I can, and have never been b&. Especially when it's not a commercial model, which these aren't. they're ripped from the game and require CONSIDERABLE tweaking of the model, plus much work in pepakura to become usable. Don't go all MW on us!

Don't you know what a Crack is?

Along with the installer there's another .exe file, when you have finished installing the program, you copy the other file, and then go to the folder where it was installed, you paste it there and it will prompt if you want to overwrite the file, you click "Yes", and that's it.

its a .rar it has the installer and the crack, the installer is the one with a PC icon and the crack is the other one (See pic), you install the program and then you copy the other file (Deep Exploration.exe) to the folder where it was installed, and just replace the original file.

And yes, it does exports to .obj
