Clayton Charles Bradbury
Yeeaahh. The Pigmask model I did didn't get too much attention but hopefully it'll get to Nintendo papercraft or something.
Either way, as I mentioned, I'll be working on other Mother 3-related papercrafts in the future, and as for now, Clayton is a promising work in progress. After this I'll probably go for Kumatora or Duster. (Hopefully this isn't too spoiler-ific).
Also, the Windmill island model from the Gorillaz universe is iced for some time. I lost my interest in it but I'm sure I'll get motivation to pick it up again sooner or later.

UV mapping is done. Texturing shall begin tomorrow.

Question, for I'm too lazy to look it up on Wikipedia:

What in the crap is UV Mapping?

I have little experience in this, but I think it's where you select off certain parts of the model, and the 3D-modeling program flattens it down (sort of like Pepakura) so you can apply textures on an image. The flattened bits would be on the right side of the above picture.

Did I get that right?

C4D Fag here; Hey I just got into texturing in C4D and would love to learn more, I've been using C4D for about 4 years and never had the need to UV map until now when I started making my own papercrafts, of course I know the basics but I need more!

I hope you make a Rope Snake for Duster or make Kumatora look cuter than her character design model.

UV mapping is a job that tediousness varies heavily from model to model.
I won't get into full detail when it comes to C4D and the aforementioned process, but if you ever need help, be sure to contact me through e-mail.
As for Clayton, the textures are done..! I'll vectorize them and rework the little thing on the top of his head and I'll be ready to unfold.
Until then.

Maya/ 3D studio max fag here, UV unwrapping gets easier and easier as time goes by. The more ya work on it the more it feels like you're playing a weird version of tetris. Although, I'm not aware of the CD4 interface, if its anything like my two programs, the "create UV's based on camera" function really helps. Pic related, Its a low poly tower and mouse with a 128 px. texture. map i made for PS@ quality game engines.

Yeah, C4D's got the 'Frontal Projection' among other projection schemas in the UV mapper, and it's super useful. If there's something I hate though, is the control over points and faces in the editor.. You don't have proper snapping nor scaling among axis' not to mention the lack of edge selection.
But you still manage I guess. Dunno about other modeling programs.
Here's another pic with the new textures and the head thingy included.

Sorry for slow progress, I have to completely re-do the hat thing on his head.
Hopefully it'll be done this weekend.

Wow this is looking really great, also I didn't know you were already planning on doing Kumatora when I started work on mine :P

Dunno what you mean by that, but if it makes a difference, I used a phong tag with a 179° limit.
Either way, it's done. A package with 2 PDFs and the PDO will be soon on Nintendo papercraft, but here's a PDF anyway lol
