What's the best paper CD case design? This is the one I use, haven't tried others.

How long have you been using this, and have you noticed any markings on the cds from the paper?

I use jewel cases for everything but I've had lots of cds in paper sleeves come through the mail. I'm not sure if it was weird paper or glue residue, but they did leave marks.

I'd personally stick with jewelcases, or a good CD protection case that opens to hold many safe. I dont see any reason why to make ones out of thin easily damageable paper

A month or so, never noticed any marks. I didn't write titles on the discs, I did that on the cases. It's mostly for disposable storage-and-pocket-transportation anyway, I wouldn't use anything other than HDs for long-term storage.

1) Buying DVD-Rs in bulk without jewel cases is much cheaper. Proportionate the the cost of a disk using jewel cases is very wasteful.
2) Paper cases take a fraction of the space and material of a jewel case (and the material is easier to dispose of).
3) You can fold a paper CD case in seconds and almost every computer desk has some waste paper. This is handy when you simply don't have a jewel case.
4) You need a marker to write on a jewel case, or paper inside the jewel case (which is often too glossy to write on with a pencil anyway). You can write with anything on paper.

And you have got to be kidding if you're saying jewel cases are durable.
