hrm. It just seems that pepakura does a pretty shit job of selecting open edges... Its a bitch to do them all by hand.

You didn't really think it would be just a matter of ripping a model, clicking a button and have a good paper model..?
>> Ilucifera
Congratulations u just found out there's no easy button for making papercrafts
Dont blame pepa its just an unfolder not an instant modelmaker (would be handy if it made instructions!)
Just work on it and you will get the hang of it

well I can make them pretty well, its just the time it takes. Oh well. I guess I bought into the hype on their website, lol

Yup, I already made a Demon (DooM) my first day(you can search it in /rs/), so don't blame the program, it's fairly simple...
oh, hell with that, let me help you...
basically you need five buttons:
1.- you need the "unfold button" (the big one at the right)
...press it
2.- click the zipper button, with this, you can change the way the parts join... byhighlighting an edge (it will be painted red), you will see a red arrow that shows wich edge is it pasted to... if you double click the edge it will be joined with it's siding part. if you highlight a line that is not an edge (it will be painted green) you can "cut" that part.
3.- edit flaps (green bar with the blue "trapezoid"... I don't know how it's called in english...) anyway, that button. works the same as the zipper one, but is used to change where the flaps go (if you have already unfolded your model, and you are pretty sure that it's the best unfolding it could be but the flaps are one over another, this is REALLY USEFUL, you wont need to change your unfolding)
4.- part rotate (tre circles with two lines) with this one you can move the parts in the paper, rotate them and place them as you better like it. just select a circle (vertice) and then CLICK AND DRAG OVER OTHER PART OF THE PAGE. this way you rotate. if you want to move the part, just drag the part not clicking in a vertice.
5.- once you have finished your unfolding and are ready to print, if you don't like the size it will be (bottom right, 1in= 2.54cm) click the "recaulculate parts layout" button (four squares). with this button you can change the size your model will be
Hope to have helped you...

Although I certainly appreciate your generously dispensed help, I can use all of these functions already :) I made a Worgen (from WoW) on my first day as well :)

I was just baffled by the speed with which "PMF" was able to crank out models. Although some of them did seem somewhat rushed, I was momentarily convinced I had overlooked the holy "smart button." Oh well.
