Hey /po/ this is my first time posting on this board so I will be brief, I have a large amount of origami paper that I purchased so that I could start to learn how to make paper sculptures and what not, thing is , I have not the slightest idea of where and how to start, any information that could point a novice in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Origami and papercraft are two separate things. Origami is the art of folding a square piece of paper into a particular shape without cutting or gluing. That's what your origami paper is for.

Papercraft, at least on this board, usually involves printing out a template, then cutting, folding, and gluing it together to make a recognizable model. No special paper is necessary, but you'll get best results with cardstock paper. You'll also need a tool to make small, accurate cuts, like an x-acto knife.
