Angels? A.r.
Looking for angels, preferably origami angels. I have the angels in Origami Omnibus, as well as Secrets of Origami. I've also seen several online, but I'm curious for more. Papercraft is fine too, I guess. Pic related for the most part.

Unfortunately, I don't have any angels past what I might find in Origami Omnibus, so I can't help you there. People have posted papercraft of anime characters with wings, but that's usually just so they look cool.

I'd really like to help you too, because you asked really nicely and gave a bunch of details so it will be easy for someone to help if they can. So the least I can do is bump the thread.

Also, I told my boyfriend about the cockmongler ball papercraft today on the phone, and he said he still needs a tree topper for his 3 ft christmas tree, so he suggested getting an angel of some sort and putting the cockmongler ball on top for the head. So I'm going to be looking for origami and papercraft angels now, so you'll be in luck if I find anything.

So far, I've found this site, which has a lot of really nice origami models in general, but there's an angel or two as well.

I might as well start responding with my name since I've been identified. http://www.giladorigami.com/PG_Angels.html has a lot of nice pictures of models, but I doubt any of them will be an easy find. It seems that the Origami Tanteidan convention books would be nice to have. They're expensive, though. $42 plus shipping per book. The OUSA convention books are also nice.

http://www.ulster.net/~spider/origami.htm Click link to AFB Diagrams, then on the Angel Nun for an origami angel online. I'm not sending you there directly because she uses a lot of abbreviations for writing folds. I don't blame her.

The picture I'm posting is of an angel from the 7th annual Origami Tanteidan convention book. It's by Fumiaki Kawahata.

Here, I have two angels. I don't like them but that's what I found.

It was me who asked you before. So, what happened to the old thread? Could there be a reason for mods to delete it? OPLM mailed me with a few pages and I mailed back about this, but I got no reply. I guess I'll make a new thread as I had connection issues before and couldn't make one.
PS: I live in Argentina.

Origami Tanteidan Convention book!

I have no clue why the old thread was deleted. It seems that when they're pretty old they get deleted, but I've hardly ever seen one marked for deletion, especially in the threads I keep going back to.

I don't think the mods would have a problem with the thread, but who knows? There is the possibility that it was close enough to the organized raids that the /b/ - random board has that they decided to delete it, but that is the only reason I can think of.

Also, thank you OPLM for finding the rapidshare of Origami Tanteidan volume 9. That's awesome.
