OMG... So... I was totally thinking... Spore papercraft.

As far as we can tell, spore creatures have something to do with scripts. No models to be found. Not to mention it'd probably take 9001 hours to even make one.

actually the models are imbedded in the .bmps images in the spore folder in My Documents. but i manged to get a few of my creatures extracted and it was imposible to make a papercraft no matter how many ways i edited the models. plus all the polygons get squished so the model looks like crap in the end.

From Wikipedia:
>With the release of the Creature Creator, it was discovered that creature data is embedded in the least significant bit of each channel of small PNG images, using steganography.

Sorry for double-posting; the above quote is the last sentence of the first paragraph of the "Game Structure" heading.

well. im sure if you are one that knows how to model you can just take good screenshots of your creature and use that as reference.

if you really want, you can just design the parts they give you to make a creature in a modeling program and drag and drop. from there you can enlarge/shrink, turn, or color any part you want, just like in the game. you just have to redo the body for each creature is all

some time ago I asked about a "directX sniffer" that intercepts 3D data and save the information, something like method used to rip models from NintendoDS, but no one answered about it and I have no time to LURK MOAR if there are someone that know about it please tell us about it.

Ok... so you have the box art it looks like. It'd be funny as hell to make a half dozen retail looking boxes, stuff small cardboard box inside, maybe a failed burned CD and case, some extra paper folded up to sound like the clunk of a manual, and toss a few on a shelf at the local Fry's or other disreputable know-nothing computer weenie outlet. Bonus points for stories of the mayhem caused. Extra internets for photos or video!
