Portal Weighted Companion Cube metave
I found Moony's diagram, but I'm stuck on this one; the corners and edges aren't marked clearly enough for me.

Here's the original diagram (it's Moony's, not mine):

If someone's done this one before, as a favor, would you please mark what edges need to be cut, and which ones need to be folded? I'm very confused.

Thanks a ton if you help me, and have a good weekend.

As far as I can tell it's like this.
>> metave
Hmm... so I cut those off, after all...

Now I'm wondering why they were there as solid lines to begin with. >_<

Oh, well; a little experimentation isn't without merit... I have eight corners per sheet, and it's only $5 for 150 sheets at Wal*Mart.

Thanks for the help, Sage. I'll get back to you after I mow the lawn.

Screw the grass. I put on some Linkin Park, so maybe it'll- *sniped by anti-unfunny joke squad*

I tinkered with a corner, and doing what I did to the bottom edge in this picture seems to allow for cleaner folding (which is what I was looking for in the first place).

Those white pieces, well, the slivers are useless, but the fairly large triangles are there for gluing purposes... let's see how this corner turns out without them, though. @_@ No need to waste paper. Trees are pissed off at us enough already.

Is this better?

Also, don't forget that you /po/eple keep posting the flawed version of Companion cube: you can't curve the round corners if you use straight glueing flaps and you might even have to make cuts, or maybe you can "cheat" a bit "by stretching the paper: the rectangular curved shape can't make the curve if all parts o fit are attached to straight parts obviously...

Honestly, I don't understand why you guys keep trying to build this version of the Weighted Companion Cube!
Try this one:

Nice, I have to try this one too.

I have tried moony's version, my weighted companion cube doesn't resemble the image. which you took that from www.paperkraft.net
I have faired better on storage cube but still the corners can be difficult to line up.

Couldn't one just fold the corner straight, and color in the white edge?

Here's another WCC. A very simple one.

Oh, and for those who hate Rapidshare, here's what>>157305posted.

I made companion cube once my asshole friend burned it.

I take it I'm supposed to print each page multiple times. How many, exactly?

You could have worked that one out by asking "how many sides does a cube have?"
This one 6 times

And this one is 3 times.

Why is the cube split into four parts only to be glued together?
>> Anonymous !bgREVLN8FU
>>157502
Well, I knew that for the Cube-face page, but not the corners page.

That's so that you can leave a gap for those little pink strips to be inserted in and attached as a sort-of valley depression
.
From previous discussions on /po/ the consensus was that no-one had actually figured out how exactly they attached - I think the tabs are either too short or the actual coloured section is too narrow.

So they kind of get tossed out and replaced by a pink strip of paper glued to the back, over the gap.

Sorry if I sounded condescending I hadn't had my morning cup of caffeine!

How well does this one come together? Do you have a completed picture?
