Mask Question Anonymous
Hi. I'm about to make a mask and I plan on actually being able to wear it. Before the latest raid I remember someone posting about coating their papercraft roller mine with something that ended up making almost as hard as plastic. Also what type of spray paint should I use(other than the obvious non-toxic when dry type).

I think you're talking about Chamoo. She had been spraying varnish on her papercraft rollermine if I remember correctly.

But what she said was, she WANTED it to end up hard as plastic, but it DIDN'T.
She put on several coats, and maybe if you put on enough coats, you can get it "hard as plastic," but why?? Varnish or whatever is used to protect papercrafts from splashes and dust, not to make it look like it's made from plastic (you can get quite a nice finish if you coat your papercraft in varnish though). I mean c'mon: you're not gonna fool anyone into believing it's plastic and not paper... And what's wrong with that?? lol
If you use some good cardstock instead of regular printer paper, your papercraft will be sturdy enough.

heh. This is my first papercraft so I didn't want to go alout with the expensive paper in case I messed up.

I've constructed it now. Just hope i glued it well enough in the process :x

I'm about to coat it in some paint since I couldn't get the texture onto it. Hope it stays together :x
