Yeah, but since fabric is much more versatile ("bends" more, stretches more) you actually don't need so many parts that papercraft needs to get the shape right.

That's when they're OPEN.
When they're CLOSED, they're useless because your eyeLIDS can perform that function just as well; they've become redundant; eyes really are only useful when they're OPEN, whatever way you look at it. ;)
