Take this, recolor it, add some teeth. Normally I would do this, but I've got a few other things I'm working on at the moment.

Yeah, I had a go at that one earlier, and it turned out CRAP!!

Oh wait, now I remember this. Deja vu.

Did you build it? Looks fine to me, save for some dencher needs.

It wasn't as spherical as I would have liked, so after that, I didn't bother with adding Bowser's teeth.

Personally, I think that we'll need to start from scratch if we want a good Chain Comp ... and I REALLY want a good one :)

There is a really good looking Comp that I found in the Google Sketchup warehouse But I don't know how to edit 3D models into buildable templates.

Perhaps someone with the skills at this could have a look at it:

Er ... make that "chomp" ... I'm going to bed!

Not too long ago I made a Chain Chomp craft too, it was hinged 'n all.
I'll try to find the template to it as soon as I get home.

Anybody know how to convert .skp Sketchup files to Metasequoia's .mqo format?

By saving (exporting) them to Wavefront .obj in Sketchup (either use the full version which has 8 hours or so trial time, you can export a lot of files in 8 hours total, or use a plugin for the free version) then open the Wavefront obj. in Metasequoia, then save as Metasequoia .mqo.

Is someone actually attempting to fix up and unfold this Chomp found on Sketchup Warehouse?

That is a brilliant 3d model
It is a TERRIBLE paper model. too many faces, unbuildable shapes. Try to find another model with less faces.
