Tmots' 3D Mario Stage Anonymous
The old thread died, I'm just wondering about the status of the 3D Mario 1-1 Stage model, specifically the sprites (since they need to be of a certain scale) and whether or not the octagonal pipe was designed.

For those interested in the model, a link.

I've had this for a long time. Might it work for your multi-faceted pipe-making needs?

they might, it's just a matter of getting them to look right on the set-up and taking up the right amount of space.

Appreciate it though. But they need to look similar to the attached to have the right appearance and all. I just like octagons better than squares really.

Ok, so I spent most of the evening preparing this package.

Inside you'll find everything in tmots' original design. I added octagonal tubes, both solid and hollow. Also included is a sheet of sprites (14 Goombas, 1 Koopa Troopa, Mario, Mario jumping, Super Mario, Super Mario jumping, Fire Mario, Fire Mario jumping, Fire Mario shooting fireballs, Fire Mario jumping while shooting fireballs, fireballs in all 4 positions) with tabs on each sprite for sticking them onto the background or wherever. Blue tabs are for models that are in the air, grey for ones on the ground.

Finally, included is a modification of the Stage Layout, with sprites of enemies placed where they are found in the level.

Happy building /po/!

Btw, I did everything using MS paint, so if things aren't quite aligned I apologize. As far as I know, everything is in the proper scale.

Nice work, but you forgot to add the castle and the final stairs, only the instructions are there, but those are full of colored lines.

too bad the sprites aren't 3d

hmm...ok. The castle is in the block section for some reason. Try checking there.

All the stairs should be in there. There's only 5 in the level, and based on what I have in the folder, the right number are there.

If you could double check that that'd be great.

3D sprites would have been too much work, unfortunately

Sorry guys, I kinda just dropped off the face of the earth, Life came up. If you just paste the sprites on the same size page as everything else (same dimensions I mean) it'll make it roughly 32 dpi, which would be to scale with the rest of the paprcraft. As for the castle being with the blocks, I think it shares a page with some, doesn't it? Either way, the final stages were kinda rushed, and I'm glad somebody put the last bits together, but I know it's still not perfect. I'll see about working on it some other time, if I have time.

ok, if that's the case then the sprites should be to the proper scale.

As for the castle, yeah, it's in with the blocks.

The second rapidshare link on the list has the modifications that I did. It might be easier to work from there.
