Windmills A rather stressed gamemaster
So, I spent days power-vuilding worldworks (thanks ilucifera!) and other medieval buildings into a sizable town for my players to set out on a RPG session.

Then one of my players - my best friend no less – says, "Okay, so where's the windmills?"

"Uhhh... What windmills?" I reply.

"You have all this grain and no waterwheels on the river, so they must use windmills," He replies, "Plus, where do the misunderstood monsters and adventurers hide?"

I emitted a hoarse shrill and now that the session is done for the night, I figured I would come here and see if anyone has a good fantasy/medieval windmill that is about 25mm scale that they could share.

build one yourself from some paddle pop stick etc, put a layer of brown wash over the model to make it look like wood, then another lighter wash for highlights, some rocks and fine crushed rocks or sand for foundations with a coat of gray and some black wash for shading, it wouldnt be that hard to do and would look better than any paper model
>> Ilucifera
You are the proud owner of a waterwheel sir!
It's in villageworks\villageprops that will shut-up your friend lol as for the windmill i'll keep my eyes open

Yeah they come by the thousands to visit it...
Japanese probably think we all live in mills walk on wooden shoes and eat tulips..Lol

Indeed, but the river is a piddly thing, broad and shallow, so I figured it was too diffused to use the waterwheels.

Sweet, once again the mighty Ilucifera comes to the rescue. :-D

Dussak (Me): So I got some help and have procured a couple windmills.
Rahn (my friend who bitched): Awesome! Can't wait to see it all army of darkness on the hill!
Dussak: Army of Darkness? It is... well... it's dutch and the other is pretty much a boxy. They should tie in well with the older buildings in Hawg's Nuhtz.
Rahn: But...
Dussak: I hate you...
Dussak: Fine... I'll design a mill like that... but it will take awhile, so not in this town, we'll use it once we get closer to the Duraggs (a dark and sinister, Ravenloft-like region in my game).
Rahn: hehe
Dussak: laugh it up fuzzball.

So there you have it. I am a pushover. :-P

Found some buildings I could use, but not much more on the windmill front.

waterwheel extension i'm working on. quick and easy. just add it to the side of any building and instant mill. takes about an hour, including printing and drying time

post script.

"A piddly river..." ??? river? The village mill in my old town ran off a 6" deep CREEK for a hundred and fifty years befoe it burned down... a river should be fine for a waterwheel no matter how piddly ;)

The river about 4 inches deep. It would be deeper if Rahn did not decide it was a good idea to kill off the village of Ogdar upstream – an entire village built on bridges between 2 cliff faces is now a largely burning dam.

THough in retrospect, the windmills also make good pumps for irrigation.

Thank you for the additional windmill. It is much appreciated.
