Hey /po/, I'm halfway through making EVA 01, and I noticed that the knife comes with it too. Although, there's nowhere to put the knife, as the shoulder... things don't open. Has anyone made the whole mech and the knife? And if so, know if there's anywhere to put the knife on the finished body?

dude teach me how to papercraft! i cant make models out of the diagrams! please just teach me how
>> Anonymous
It is pretty much a gun or knife option in my opinion. I have never seen one with both.

Hahahaha.

Is this a troll? I didn't think /po/ had any, but maybe it does.

Or it could just be a complete newfag x]

Here's some advice from sombody who's never made the model. STRAP IT TO HIS BELT LOLOL

Strap it to his belt? lol
He has two hands. Put his gun in one hand and the knife in the other.

hey guys can this one be made?
>> Anonymous
>>73642
True.
And here's a protip: DON'T permanently glue the legs/arms to the torso until you found the right balance for the model!! You'll need to move them around a bit to find a good pose because the hueg shoulderparts and the hueg gun will mess up the balance if you're not careful.
>> Volt
>>73647

Oh. I actually wouldn't have thought of doing that. Haha, thanks.

And yeah, if the knife slots into his right hand well I'll do that. Even though the gun's a 2 handed weapon :)
>> Anonymous
>>73648Even though the gun's a 2 handed weapon
Only for wussies.
The fingers on the Inner Brain Eva Units (that's what this is) can be bent, but you'll need to glue the knife to the hand (or it will fall out) then bend the fingers and glue them to the knife (or they'll bend back).
>> Volt
>>73652

Ah, ok. I'll probably do that. having one open hand looks a bit odd.
>> Anonymous
>>73656
Make sure it doesn't make him heavy in the front. Nothing worse than a bitchin' model that will never stand.
>> Volt
>>73692

Well I could just make a little platform or something to stick him on if he goes off balance.
>> Anonymous
>>73701
Yes, only it probably wouldn't be a little platform, a sheet of paper wouldn't make much difference. You'd probably have to glue it to the FLOOR. ;o)

The legs, arms and torso are seperate parts, and you can move them seperately to make the model balanced: you can rotate the legs and arms a little in their sockets in the torso. Do so until you have it balanced (make it balanced when it's holding the gun (and knife) NOT without of course it or it will all be for nothing) and THEN glue the arms and legs to the body so it's balanced.

Glueing it to a platform would make it much less awesome.

F is for Fugly. Oh and does it look like paper to you?

Does anyone have Eva unit 04?

I'm still new to the whole papercraft thing, so I realise I'm going to fuck it up the first few times, but it's the one model I really like the design of.
>> Anonymous
>>73886
You mean the one you never got to see in the series?
What's so awesome about its design that's less awesome about the others? You sound like you feel like Eva-04 is great and all the other Evas are crap, but there's not THAT much of a difference, lol...
>> Volt
>>73886

The only EVA's /po/ has, or anyone has, is EVA 00 and 01.
>> Anonymous
>>73929
Well we do have a Jet Alone as well, and we have two versions of Eva unit 00 (big yellow one and smaller blue one)
>> Anonymous
>>73929
Some people have the Mass Production Eva Units (there's a picture of the package in another thread) as well, but not /po/.
>> Volt
>>73930
>>73935

Oh right. Are they available to buy from anywhere? I'd love to have more Eva papercrafts. I'm guessing they're not, as /po/ would probably have them by now if they were.

LURK MOAR the Jet Alone and the blue Eva-00 are actually quite well known on /po/:
Jet Alone: http://www.owari.ne.jp/~mokumoku/
Click the first link for the page with the parts and the fourth link for a page with some pictures (it's where the picture for the (sorry to say) crappy mass production model came from).

The blue Eva-00 is from http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38589176/?q=papercraft&qh=boost%3Apopular+age_sigma%3A24h+ag
e_scale%3A5&qo=4

The (better) Mass Production Model was sold on a convention and is far more rarer even than Chokipeta's Wind Waker Link. ;o)

Where was I meant to lurk moar for these :/

Thanks for linking though.

>>73960
Here on /po/ it's all been posted several times before...
>> Anonymous
>>73944
well it's obviously rarer than chokipeta's Wind Waker Link, we already have Wind Waker Link.
>> Anonymous
>>73965
Exactly. ;o)
When /po/ was born, /po/eple kept requesting it and everybody posted up the Four Swords Link, and not many believed we'd find the Wind Waker one...
Now this is even more rare than that! ;o)

I found this on the Jetalone site by clicking around. It doesn't bring us closer to Eva05 but it's still pretty cool.
