Does anyone have any good templates for use with regular printing paper, rather than the harder paper used in most papercrafts? I already know what raspera is but I want something other than animals.

Hate to break it to you... but if you're decent enough with papercrafts, you get the same results with low quality copy paper as you get with cardstock, with the only difference being how long it lasts if you don't finish it with some sort of sealant.

hmm, But i can't imagine the large gundam models and more advanced papercraft i have seen to be made merely out of copy paper...

I think you should drive a car made with kitchen aluminum foil, and tell us the difference.

There's a bigger difference between tin foil and steel than there is copy paper and cardstock.

No difference in paper. Do you use Charmin or AngelSoft for your models?

not really

Yes there is a difference in how long it lasts, it last minutes if you use clear acrylic spray. 20lb copy paper warped and twisted after spraying, while the 110lb took several coats to a nice gloss finish.

I don't do anything with my paper models after they're done... I still have all the first ones I made, and the paper and cardstock ones are both holding up equally well. I've been at this for a year... so I'd say use whatever paper you have available, it should work.

I use regular printing paper, and it's just fine.
Paper is good enough if you don't touch it afterwards or try to coat it with stuff.
Card stock is a little harder to work, and the end result is is sturdy enough to carry it around without worrying about crushing it with the slightest vibration of your hand, especially if you coat the model.
