Check out some of the beginner tutorials here: http://www.blender.org/education-help/

Grats on learning Blender. I was big into it a couple years ago, but lost interest after awhile. Hoping you'll keep at it longer then me ;)

A vase. You should be able to make a decent one using only [move], [scale], and [extrude].

ok, so i made the vase, cause i got stuck on the dagger, and its in pepakura. how do I change like 10 tabs into just one?

Could you show a picture of this? Each face is only supposed to have one tab if needed. A straight line might have ten tabs because there are ten different faces on that particular part of the model.

I mean of the part that has ten different tabs. Like, a view in Pepakura of said part.

Yeah, it's because there are that many faces on that particular part.

See on the part where it's just

?

That's what Pepakura is representing the part by, even though the model is really like this

That's just how it's going to be. You can export the parts to BMP and edit them in MSPaint if you want.

just dont cut each of the tabs out, just cut across the top and leave it as one tab.

If I were you I would learn Maya or 3ds Max, maybe lightwave or XSI, just don't even try with Blender.

Before I started school for 3d art I tried to learn blender, with not so great results. It's just not nearly as efficient as the industry standard 3d packages.

One more thing OP, I'd even suggest using Metasequioa over Blender. However, if you are feeling comfortable with Blender, power to you.
