Hay /po/
I haven't really done papercraft before but I'm getting really interested. I used to do lucky stars and before that I made origami cranes but it's been a long time since either of those and I was a severe noob even when i was into them.

I was wondering if i need some kind of special sissors or glue and is there some kind of epic manual I should probably read. Give me the basic training plz. :)

I use Elmer's "No-Run Gel" glue only because it is not as runny, and is very sticky. Although I guess regular emlemers is the same.
You can get a self-healing mat (they are those green mats that sometimes have a like ruler thing on them.) ans exacto knife can be get from Michaels or some other craft store, depending on the size of the mat, and quality of the knife, it should be about $10 (USD).
If you want to create something a bit more (seemingle complex) but not as hard to build (still kind of hard) I suggest Turbolabobs SD gundams. They look very nice and are, i guess, kind of simple to make.
Ruler is optional, but is necessary if you are only using an exacto knife, or are working ona large project.

I got my 12x12 mat at wal-mart for $9. It should be around the scrapbooking junk.

Oh, awesome. i thought it would be like some crasay $60 nano-stuff. One last question: is there anyway to make a paper lampshade that WON'T bun my house down? Do you think i would just have to use LED's?

(OP) oh, maybe someone should write up a list of things that noobs should know, put it on RS or something in a .txt, and get a mod to put the link in the sticky.
