here you go my tip:
If you already have a hat, you can make the ball changing the texture of the head of the southpark character template available in paperinside. I've already used that template to make some dragon balls, an eye, my own southpark character and a dream theater souvenir (octavarium, the whole desktop toy, or whatever the name is, /rs/ dream theater papercraft) just set the graphics to plain white (the same page have the isntrucions)
or if you have not the hat yet, just print a red half circle and fold it as a cone, make a paperball and then make a cone (the ball is to not have a perfect cone, duh) and fold the lower part upwards, so it'll be white, and paste the ball at the tip.
another hint: do not bump posts that are still in the first 3 pages at least, /po/ is a slow board and you do not need to bump posts the same day, and obviously not every 10 minutes... also, it is still soon in the day, everyone is still sleeping...
hope to have helped you

I was gonna direct you to Canon's papercraft section, but it seems they replaced their old Santa Hat with a crappier version?!
http://cp.c-ij.com/english/3D-papercraft/event/santa_hat_e.html
I'll upload the old one here, which IMHO looks much better, but doesn't have a real 3D pompom.
Either live with it (really, the hat's from paper, it's not the end of the world if the pompom isn't 3D) or make a "real" pompom like they explain on http://www.kid-craft-central.com/pom-poms.html or do as>>111919opts in the very useful first part of his post. (The second part isn't really worth reading, it's just the standard "I come here more often than your average /po/rson and post useful stuff most of the times so I feel like I kinda own this board" stuff NOBODY cares about except the people that type it lol.)

thanks man really appreciate it and the hat looks awesome and the pompom doesnt have to be like completely round just not flat so your pdf looks pretty much like what i was looking for well besides the awesome trim lol

When printing, set "multiple pages per sheet" or something.
Or something: PrntScrn (or "selection-tool-that-looks-like-a-camera-inside-a-dashed-lines-square") then paste in MS Paint or Photoshop to scale and re-position the parts at your convenience. Or if you actually do have Photoshop: it opens pdf files.

PS: please understand that /po/ has NO idea of how small exactly you have to scale it to fit your mudkip; that is for you to figure out. Also, it was designed to be easy at this scale, not in a scale ten times smaller: the smaller you make it, the more trouble you'll have handling the smaller parts.
