>>120733 No, it's actually one of the most frequently mistakes made by enthustiastic /po/eple making their own models: they approuch it as if it will be the most epic work of all time, and they want to keep every detail, wrinkle etc, but all that does is make the papercraft difficult to build, and because of that, people can't build it well, and the end result looks not good... It's better to focus on keeping the model nice and easy (relatively speaking of course, challenging is okay, but auto unfolds from Pepakura where perhaps one or two cuts have been altered are technically buildable, but no fun at all...) and make any details that you can't live without and that are too small to make into 3D using paper on the texture. Enthustiasts that want to make papercrafts using Pepakura, should also teach themselves some basic 3D modelling/texturing: it's fun just to know stuff like that nowadays, and it will dramaticly improve your papercrafts, and call me crazy, but I think that is what they want. ;)
