All that I know is that it uses a BIG square and take a long time to make (seems that Satoshi Kamiya made this in 30 hours)

the rapidserach one is a 45k pdf... I doubt that it is a real diagram and I hate megaupload!

A bunch of black lines on a white background, how big do files like that get??

this is not a crane diagram it is very complex (only the head must have more folds than 1000 tsurus), any file with images are bigger than that and in a origami forum they already made this joke. http://www.thekhans.me.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2656&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&am
p;sid=643d854911b0b4d6a2e83601b9705e1f (same joke, same file size)

The diagram on rapidsearch was uploaded on April Fool's Day. It's a 30 page document that just tells you that you've been fooled on April 1st. At least that's what it was when I downloaded it. I believe my response ran something along the lines of needing help on page 31. Someone else was stuck on step 27...you get the idea.

I believe one of the versions of this dragon was released in the origami tanteidan magazine around issue 101. The piece of paper used for this thing is probably at least 2 square meters.

Unfortunately, that is incorrect as much as I wish it weren't. Tanteidan Magazine is just up to issue 103 now and there hasn't been diagrams. The OP picture is of Version 3.1. Version 1.0 has a crease pattern in Tanteidan Magazine 72 in an article on the model's design, as well as the crease pattern for Version 2.0 in a calendar which is long out of print. The design isn't too great besides the head really, its all scale tesselation. Still looks nice.

It is absolutely ridiculous to expect there to be diagrams for this.

Among other things, anyone who can fold this can fold it from the crease pattern (it's box-pleating). The crease pattern features some pretty ingenius box-pleat techniques.

Anyhow, there will not be diagrams for this mad by Kamiya. However, since there have been Phoenix diagrams (not made by Kamiya) and that 700-page fake Harry Potter book, it's still possible that someone who folded the crease pattern made diagrams (though I can't see why anyone would.)
