Hate to be a weapon snob, but that's not a morningstar. The spikey-ball-on-a-chain thingy is called a flail.

A morningstar, or "Godendag" as it is sometimes called, is simply a spikey ball attached to a long metal handle. Like a mace, but more pointy.

No no no, it isn't. The (very cool and impressive) papercraft in>>156556which you call a "morningstar" is actually a FLAIL.

My pic is what a morningstar looks like. There's no chain.

I made that medieval sword ages ago except I used yellow cardstock for the hilt and blue for the blade because white cardstock was in short supply.
The last time I checked the morningstar did have a chain. No haven't made it yet as I'm struggling with the killer hornet model.
