On what kind of surface do /po/eple cut their crafts?
Do you use an specific cutting mat or on any surface?
I use an old mousepad as a cutting surface though I don't know if it's the best option. At least it doesn't damage my table

Look for a cheapo self-healing cutting mat; Michael's and AC Moore have them often.

I use my leg. Sure, the blood may discolor the paper a bit, but at least it doesn't scratch my table.

I got a 36" by 24" self healing mat from wal-mart for like $30 A while back, they have all different sizes in the craft section.

lol

I use an 11" x 17" self-healing mat. I used to use cardboard, (non-corrugated,) but I found out that it made my knife dull about 10x faster.

I use a small 5 x 7 mat since I don't ever make cuts bigger than that and I have limited desk space.

Also, does glass destroys the knife's blade?
And what about a mouse pad?

Dunno about glass, but I would think that after a while a mouse pad would start to fall apart.

There are glass cutting boards for kitchen use, so i guess blades and glass are good together.
