Hello, i know this has probably been asked many times but, how do you rip models from a nintendo 64 game. i have lemd3d8.dll but whenever i try to use it, it says "the plugin you have selected does not exist or is invalid"

I wanted to rip models from banjo-kazooie and try my hand at that. any help would be really cool.

Project 64 1.7 cam dump textures without any special plugin. I don't know if it can dump the models though.

Look in Video settings. Do you see anything that says export to VRML?

VRML is a 3D file format...
>> Rathalos

can google sketchup open it and how do i get it to rip it and where does it keep it?

Go to your c drive (if you don't know what that is give up now) and create a folder called VRML(in all caps). When you check that little box(the export one) and continue to "play" the game (exit the menus as if you were going to play again) and the emulator should be going kinda slow(speed depends on your computer) then after a while go back into your video settings and uncheck the export box. Exit the emulator and go to the folder you made. It should now be filled with a whole bunch of BMP files and one file called "output.wrl"(this is your VRML format file) this is your 3D model(to be precise it's the entire scene).

Sketchup does not support VRML so you are going to need another program to convert it to another usable format(OBJ or 3DS most likely) Deep Exploration is a good program to use. After that you just get rid of all the crap in the resulting usable 3D model that you don't want(as I stated before you are getting the scenery as well) and fix up the model that you do want.

I'm sure you can figure the rest out.

Anywhere in the c drive or in the emulator folder itself?

Directly on the C drive. You should be able to see the folders VRML and Program Files on the same screen.

k i did all that, but i do not see any files. how long do i have to let it sit?

It depends on your computer, the game, any other programs that are running...

This means that I don't know, but maybe you don't have the right version of the plugin(there are two) I'll upload the one I use and you can try that so give me a second, OK.

This is the Project 64 1.7 graphics options. Ive dumped textures before but never a model Do i need to change the plugin or can something on there do it?

You need to use the Nemu graphics plugin for the walkthrough above. That plugin(which is also above) should work with project64 as it is plugin based, but I don't know. I use 1964, which works great for me (I would use Nemu64 if it didn't crash on my PC)

All I can really say is TRY IT! It, might work, it might not.
>> Pixel-Kakashi
The nemu64 plugin (LEMD3D8.dll) doesn't work with project 64, you must use either nemu64 or 1964.
