Wow -- you know what /po/-- i realized that it is almost trivial making an oragami model of anything.

Just take a peice of paper, and treat it like clay, get the legs you want, the amount of paper for the head, etc. etc. Bend and curve the apropriate sections, ... etc. I had a "paper clay" sculpture of a man within a few minutes.

The real labor of origami is in simplifying and compressing this so that it can be disseminated or reproduced. You need to unfold it and see which creases are essential, from the mess of folds, etc.

The last step is the most devious step -- it is to simply the folds itself, so that the process of making it contain ABSOLUTELY NO TRACE of how it was designed, so that, for example, the man doesn't come together until the 30th step. You lead the reader on these random folds, here and there -- so that, at the moment of completion bears no trace of the effort of creation
