There's a section called "Paper Model Making Helpers" at http://www.ss42.com/pt-misc.html maybe you'll find something useful there.

In the end, it's all just a matter of geometry, and visualizing how a 3D object unfolds. You don't *need* computer for that, it's just extremely helpful.
Some people make papercrafts in Word: they unfold the model they want to make in their head, then use the basic shapes in Word (where you can input exact measurements) to create the lay-out. I made some of my stuff by hand, then scanning them.

Lots of options, Pepakura is awesome, but you can easily get caught in the limitations that Pepakura has. A lot of great papercrafts have been made without it.

I know that you can make them without a computer, but it's alot easier to make it with a computer.

Did you take a look at the link yet and investigated some of the software and other links there in the two minutes it took you to reply?

I haven't made any 'models' yet, but I find that google's SketchUp is an interesting tool to fiddle with to get used to the 3D concepts... :3

I don't think I can convey this feeling with text.
It's just this massive, unrestrained urge to grab your head and pound it on the pavement until you die. It's like just when you're close to coming - that's how bad I want to hurt you. I want to murder your unborn children. I want to rape your daughter. I want to eat your wife and spit on your grave.
