Okay, /po/, help me out here. Picture is a tesseract; I need to construct one in 3D for class, as well as provide a net. Anyone have a pattern, or can mybe just throw a half-assed one together? Don't worry about the outside panels, I just want the cube in the middle with the phlanges. I can't figure out how to make one on my own.

This is due first thing Tuesday morning; please help!

I don't have one made already, but it seems like it would be really easy to make.

Does the inner cube have to have some proportional relationship to the larger one? Like exactly half as big or something?

I'm about 80% sure this well work

Mostly what I'm not sure about is the length of the diagonal of the trapezoid

Make sure you use clear paper

Construct a four-dimensional object in three dimensions? That's some demanding class you're in.

It is possible

Seems like an amazingly sound idea, and I am very much in your debt, sir.
But where do I get "clear paper"?

acetate paper, or 'overhead projector paper'
printable, foldable, good luck finding a glue that dries clear enough though... could be that I'm just too picky

I suppose you could always use clear tape of even double sided tape.

I think if you made 6 of these, with some tabs, it would work. Then if you need the outside as well, you could just make a cube and put the thing inside. In any case, I'm pretty sure these are the right dimensions

A friend of mine supplied me with this a long time ago, I optimized it a bit.
I never tried it out, but it might work. It's also very low-ink.

don't you mean... HYPERCUBE? whatever you construct will be one view of a hypercube lol
