NEED A DISPENSER HERE Engineer
I REALLY need to erect a dispenser RIGHT HERE.

Somebody please make a papercraft one so that I may quell my needs.
>> Anonymous
You need a paper engineer first. And some paper teammates to use the dispenser.

What program can I use to edit the files for the sentry gun? I have mdl's, phy's, vtx's, and vvd's, and EVERY program I tried couldnt open any of those. I've been meaning to do at least the level 1 sentry for a while...

Paper bullets?

so /po/ how wuold someone go about simplifying this? so far I've only built templates not make them.
>> Anonymous
Too much work; not worth most of our time. If you like TF2 enough, you'll figure out how to work your 3-d editing program well enough to simplify it, or develop one from scratch that actually works in pepakura designer.

Hey doods, im the dood that made the thwomp. a level one sentry is the model im working on now, im doing it old school style with SIN-COS-TAN, hmmmm, don't wana give any dates cuse it might take a while. I dont have much free time these days, but it will be coming in the future
>> Anonymous
If I can ask, what program did you use for the Thwomp, and what one are you using for the sentry?

I've been working on a project of my own, but I've really gone old-school; I'm drawing and photocopying parts by hand trying to get it to work.

if you go old school, try squared paper, thats how i did the first draft for the thwomp, then just used a grid in illustrator to make the same thing, and used photoshop for the "skin". then just applied that on the outline and made a .pdf

for the sentry, I'm using a compass, ruler and trigonometry and all the stuff we thought was useless in geometry classes lol. I don't know how to work with 3d programs and pepakura so i have to do it old school first then just remake it on the computer

So, in other words, we're using the exact same techniques.

I wish I had a program that thought the same way I did when it comes to 3-d. I want to feed it numbers, not draw shapes. I'm done with about 30% of the model I'm working on by doing the math by hand, and I've already made those parts into .png files, printed them, and made sure they worked.

Thing is, the whole thing is driving me up the wall, and I only can do a few minutes at a time before going insane.

That Thwomp was right on the money. Here's hoping your sentry, when done, will be as well.
