I wouldn't recommend glazing since it will likely warp the paper. Also, since you said you were new to papercraft, this one might be a trickier project to start off due to the complexity.
>>22990 Ok, I'm a little slow and finally realized these are Cerberus guns from Gungrave. That being said, you could do a reallllly simple texturing by coloring everything with the exception of the cross design black. The crosses (pages 6+5) would be red/white, depending on what you want. Oh, and to save ink, I think pages 14+15 wouldn't need to be colored since they're inner supports. I'll give a shot at a more detailed texturing once I figure out which parts are for what D:.
