A theory(not that of pic) says that raptors did evolve from Archaeopterix-like dinosaurs. In case, if you view Archaeopterix as the first bird you must consider raptors as birds!
Fuckin' badass birds!

Birds are considered a form of dinosaur. Avian dinosaurs. The dinos that died out are non-avian dinosaurs. They are more closely related to birds than they are to reptiles (and if I remember correctly, more closely related to turtles than lizards).

Also, there are two kinds of raptors. Dromaeosaurs (Velociraptors, etc.), and birds of prey (eagles, hawks, etc.) (not sure if this affects what you said.

Dromaeosaurs had feathers.

Anyhow, the important thing is : nice model.

Birds are not Dinosaurs. Birds are a perceived evolution of dinosaurs out of the saurischa subgroup, mainly theropoda. In other words, although birds evolved from dinosaurs, they are not dinosaurs. Birds are whole another subgroup from dinosauria, aves. so yes, when you tuck into your KFC, you are eating what was 65 million years ago dinosaurs.

sorry for the discourse, Dinosaurs are my passion. :3

also, "raptors" are under the family name Dromaeosauridae, are what theropods that evolved into birds were...

This evolutive debate is still wide open and remember we're talking about theories not facts.
What is more probable:
Birds evolved from theropods dinos(surely clade Maniraptora but we don't know if from coelurosaurs, dromaeosaurs or other) so they are highly derived diapsid reptiles.
Living animals closer relatives of birds are Crocodiles.
Some of what was once considered as dinos evolved from forms that were so close to birds
that their classification it's problematic.
Recently, Oviraptora were shift to Aves.
Turtles probably) aren't Diapsids, they are(probably) Anapsid reptiles and their evolution path is still a mistery, maybe from Pareiasaurs.

PS: BUMP for bambi's teeth!

Oviraptora and Archaeopterix & all further evolutions on it's line fit in both Sauropoda and aves.

Pfffft. You guys are all retarded, everyone knows that Jesus created the dinosaurs with adam and eve, Parasaurolophus could breathe fire and WAS what we know to be dragons, and that the dinosaurs died out because Satan led them against Noah's ark, they failed, and they all drowned during the flood.
Fuckin' retards, what're you, Jewish or something?

Just a precisation, Sauropoda and Theropoda are the two lineages in which Saurischian are divided.
Sauropoda are the longnecked dinos as Diplodocus,Apatosaurus,Ultrasaurus etc.
They divided from Theropoda (mainly carnivores)in early Triassic.
So Oviraptors and Archaeopterix cannot fit in them.Maybe you intended Theropoda.

We're just talking about theories, so maybe you creationist are right!(pic very related)
