as far as I know it can't easily be converted to pdf. who's got a "print to pdf" app installed?

I've gotta get back to the chocobo (after i play some video games). I may get the motivation to convert it after that...

Pepakura opens the pdo

Problem is that I only know of two apps that can open a pdo – pepakura and PDOpener. But if you are on a mace with no access to a PC, your only choice is PDOpener, and that rarely workd becuase even the slightest nuance off normalcy in the PDO will make it unreadable.

I can print to pdf. I just don't see where on that page do I have to click to download the pdo.

The number for the papercraft is 408, as indicated by the first url given. It has since moved off of that page. Here's the page for the download.

This is one of the two dragons that are on the pepakura site. Is this one no. 101 that someone was asking for in another thread? If so, I've converted it from .pdo to .pdf, but I can't guarantee the accuracy of the pages, because I'm on a Mac whenever I come to 4chan, but there's a pc connected to the internet in a more public room of the house that I can use to convert stuff and then export it back to the Mac. Basically, there's a possibility that when I resized the pages to fit on one page, they might have been a little off from each other. It doesn't look like it was much so far. I'll look for the rapidshare link and post it again here, so if anyone wants to take a look at all the pages, then they can.

Of course, the best option is the one already being discussed. We'll eventually figure out a system for this, I guess.

http://rapidshare.com/files/6438849/dragon_101.rar This is the rapidshare for the folder with the pdf files of the dragon. I just don't know for certain if it's the same one as this. It looks like it is, especially from the golden scales that are on some of the pages.

One additional thing to note about the rapidshare link is that the folder is further seperated into parts. All the pages dealing with part 1 are in the first folder, the second part in the second, and so on. Pepakura shows what part you're making in a 3D version, but I don't know of a way to get that part to print, if there is one past taking a picture of the screen.

It would be a lot easier to convert these if they would just make them accessible to Mac users. The "print to PDF" function is built in on Mac OSX.

I downloaded the radpidshare, and all but one of the pdf's was really, really blurry and low quality. Is there a problem with the share? Did it cut out before all the information was uploaded or downloaded?

Yes, that's perfectly alright if you can do it all on a pc. I'm having to switch from a pc to a mac in order to change them to a pdf because I don't use the pc for papercraft, so I don't have any programs on there other than pepakura viewer to use on papercraft. That's also why the rapidshare has really blurry files. It's not because there's something wrong with the rapidshare, but because I have to mess with the images to get them to be how Pepakura would send them to print. That's why as soon as you said you could print to pdf on your pc, I eagerly gave the new link to the dragon. Also, the dragon is on the pepakura site and I think it's dragon #101, so if the links to the other site continued to not work right for you, I could have always looked up that one, or even put it on an upload website.

Also, for everyone else, the pdf posted is part 1, the head.

Again, thanks for doing this.

I mean 20+ pages later its a jigsaw puzzle, and the korean site was no help what soever.

I'm just using pepakura and using it to find which pieces fit where. Preliminary testing shows promise, but the folding lines need dealt with later. Picture is my progress after working this morning.

well hopefully that will work for me as well.. I need to get this done by the 18th..
>> Jennifer
Each pdf file is for one part of the entire dragon. I think the long winding body is towards the end. I do remember that the first one is called "atama," or head. The second pdf is "atama hige," or head whiskers/beard. I'll write them all down in another post. I don't remember the rest off the top of my head.
>> Jennifer
1 atama = head
2 atama hige =head whiskers/beard
3 ude = arm
4 dou = body
5 asi (should be "ashi") = leg/foot
6 o = tail
7 hasira = pillar/post

I hope this helps a bit.

The file names arent the problem, I knew what they were, its the simple fact that the head peices are a jigsaw puzzle, and you have to pull parts from all three sheets in the first pdf for it. im slowly figuring it out thanks to the numbering system in the pepakura viewer but somethings are still confusing due to the fact 3 #'s over lap on some parts..

Yeah, I got to finally start putting it together today, and I'm noticing that problem, too. I've been looking at the lines that are dotted versus the ones that are solid. Do they fold in different directions? If so, that could be a helpful clue to figuring this stuff out. When I get back home I might try taking snapshots of the screen showing each part in pepakura. This thread will probably die before I get around to doing that, but it's starting to look like I should just start a thread when I get back home that's about nothing but me getting caught back up on business I left unfinished. It will probably all surface again without me saying anything though, so I'm not really worried.

Head completely finished, as well as the 2 1/2 foot tall green stand, and starting the rest of the dragon as we speak. In general, solid line is folded mountain style, dashed line is folded valley style.

As far as how the pieces go together, you are right, they are scattered across all sorts of papers, I'm just using the piece identifier thing in pepakura to figure which sections attach together.
>> Anonymous
finaly got the head peiced together.
and once past that its a cake walk. the damn head is honestly the hardest part since it doesn't tell you you should glue certain parts together first. (eyes nose ect...) Maybe if i get this finished before my dead line I'll put up some sort of guide that will at least explain the head.

Any progress yet with the correct order of the cool dragon?
I've just started to do the pillar...

This thread will probably die sometime in the next day, since it's been a week since it was started. I think I'll try to save the text from the thread just so this can be restarted somewhat easily.
