Alright, here is a quick model. Let me know if it's too hako blocky [Tried a detailed version first but decided it would be impossible to build unless it was huge or if you had tweezers for fingers. ].

Also, my monitor is a bit broken so tell me if the colours are off.

Eyebrows are missing. And a less squared version would be nice.

But even so, I like it very much, and I will build it as soon as you will release a template.

Oh wow, i feel pretty lame for not thinking of this before i modelled it in sketchup.

Heh, here's a very simple tentacle design. It's Green T. because i have no purple post-its.

I agree.

Is this better?

I think the eyebrow could be a black piece of paper cut into a small crescent and glued on, if the top eye were round. Hm.

I really think these look better than a complex papercraft would. They're very simple to make. Cut and attach coloured paper cones and disks. Anyone here with a smidgeon of experience could do it in a few minutes.

If any of you really wanted a template of my purple tentacle, i'll send you the 3d model. It's a .skp, i don't know how to convert it to .pdo : |

bump for a .pdf because i'm too lazy to make it myself

If someone tells me how to change .skp files to .pdo i will finish this project.

open .skp in sketchup, export as .kmz(i think that what it is[the google earth 4 file type]) open .kmz in pepakura.

Thanks for the help.

Alright, here you go. I don't have pepakura's password so i had to go the long way around. Don't know if it's buildable, because i've grown to loathe it and i like the cone ones in
>>103728

This was the first time i've used pepakura [i've had sketchup for a few years.]

Post pics if any of you build it, even if it fails.
>> To sage or not to sage... that is the question.
My camera's not available, but I have ones made out of cones hanging around my computer table now.

The pepakura tentacle looks buildable, but a freehand pattern (take apart a tentacle, trace the pieces, scan it) of the cone tentacle would be superior.

I've got a tip. See the uh, "eye" pieces, and how they're two circles and two lines attached together? Well, you see how in both circles of the piece there's one stray rectangle still attached to the circle? You can detatch that with Join/Disjoin face, and attach it to the rest of the "line" section, to make it easier.
