I'm going to post the two sets of instructions that I used when I made this rose - this one here is a plain set of .pdf instructions.

Make no mistake though - this is not a 'simple' rose to make, it takes a pretty long time and if you've never made it before you will get stuck at least twice. Though the instructions are as instructive as possible. And very clean.

Here's another set of instructions where some very patient guy has gone through and taken photos of himself doing every single step. Switching back and forth between the two sets helped me a lot.

Best of luck. There are simpler roses, too, that also look very nice. Like this one:

http://www.bloom4ever.com/howto/howto01_0.html

Which also has full photo and written instructions. Good if you're looking to make a whole bouquet, as each one only takes like 5 minutes.

Yeah, this kind of language is the reason I gave a link to easier roses. It's 3AM where I am, I'm feeling very mellow.

OP, good luck w/ the roses. I do suggest you try the simpler one that I linked to first though, it's the same, just easier. And please, we do appreciate/demand proper spelling and no emotes etc. Otherwise nobody will be friends with you.

And we already have the bike. Everyone already has the bike.

Wtf. I asked for instructions to these like a month or two ago. The only reply I got was, "Crumple paper into a ball."

But you probably didn't use weird Japanese smileys, UPPERCASE WORDS, or modern language like HALP or pliz in your post to reinforce your point.

I wasn't here a month ago. But hey, you have them now. And this is what threads like this are all about. Now everyone gets rose instructions, not just the creazy girl.

I got stuck at the four crimp folds, any advice for those?

Does anyone have other flowers? I need more variety.

Which rose are you doing? If you give me the number of the step I'll help you out.

Here's a daffodil. It's the only other origami flower I actually like. It probably won't go well with your roses though.

I got stuck at steps nine and twenty-one of OP's model, I tried ignoring the fact I hadn't done nine right, and I think that's what threw the later stages off.

Also, thanks for more flowers.

Step 9 seems really arbitrary and pointless so I can see why you didn't do it, it's only useful for step 23 (the picture shows what happens, the text doesn't mention it, though... ???) It does make the model look much nicer though, and trying to do step 23 without it will probably fuck your almost-completed model up, which would be sad.

Also if you notice, the text says that step 21 is not essential. In step 20, the model has gone 3-dimensional and become a cylinder shape, all step 21 is doing is making the cylinder tighter. It's similar to rolling a piece of paper into a cylinder and then grabbing the paper in the centre and twisting it around to make the cylinder even thinner.

Is it step 21 you're stuck on, or step 20? Because step 20 is the obvious hard one. If it's step 21, the only advice I could offer would be is to think of the model as a rolled-up piece of paper and just tighten the roll of it... For example, pinching the edge of the model and moving the inside in the direction of the roll. Hard to explain. Have you looked at the photo instructions also posted?
