What do you consider a decent price for cardstock? I'm still fairly new to papercraft and have made some simple models from plain printer paper. I want to try something a bit bigger and more complicated so I went to a local business store... 250 sheets for $16.00
Yeah that's about about right :( It's not cheap.
It costs me $4 for 25 sheets...
I lucked out one day and my craft store was out of white cardstock, so I found a pack of 100 sheets in a plastic wrapped bundleThe clerk at the desk rung it up for like .60 cents (which is the price of one sheet.) :>
go to walmartthey have pretty decent 110lb paper250 sheets for 5 dollarsand if you go to one of the major office supplies chains (staples or officemax)you can expect to pay 15-20 dollars for 500but they have nicer stuff
what's actually better to use? Cardstock, coverstock or just heavier paper? The coverstock is stiffer than paper but not as stiff as cardstock.
For a good price, see if there is a paper wholesaler in your area. In southeast USA, I go to MAC Papers, and buy Exact Index 90 lb., 8.5x11 and 8.5x14 to stand in for A4.
