Should I just get a book about origami? If not, which origami should I start with?

Also, does it matter what paper I use for origami? Do I need a cutter for origami?

I'm kinda clueless, but I'd like to make origami a hobby. I dont have any hobbies except for gaming, anime and internet, and I'm getting tired of those.

I'm not much of an origami enthustiastic myself, but I do know you don't need a cutter for origami. The essential part of origami is that it's the art of folding paper WITHOUT cutting the paper (cutting, scoring and folding, that's papercraft).
Most hobby stores will have special origami paper, it's usually just paper that's nice and thin.

it's best if you start of with cheap, normal paper like printer paper when you start something. just to see whether you can do it or not because you don't want to waste good paper.
