'sup /po/
More general question here: how long have you been doing this? For the veterans, I was just vaguely curious- do you see trends towards more commercial papercraft, made by the companies who've licensed the design, or more communal papercraft, made by Anonymous with a modelling program? Is this true in /po/ in general, in the papercraft 'community' (such as it is) at large, in America, in Japan? Be interested in your thoughts.

I have been doing papercraft in one form or another for 20 years and prefer to make my own.

I started around February 2005. First one was the Katamari Prince, of course. I make whatever looks nice to me, whoever produced it, whatever the subject matter. I am attracted to stuff that I'm a fan of but I made a load of Yumeria stuff even though I had no idea what it was. That's official Namco-produced material, I believe. Anonymous makes fantastic papercraft too. I wish more companies would make it so they'd put it on their website and make papercraft as a whole more popular. Then everyone wins!

i started out a few months before /po/ was created... my first one was a hamster, I believe.
but it is tough to find papercraft-related items in stores... sure there's always the usual kits, but nothing as amazing as /po/'s customs or what comes from Japan, sadly...
