So what we just print out four of each and go at it?

yes. if you want the lid to be openable you will have to figure that out yourself. you can also photoshop the textures to be a lighter color or shop out the corner/side pieces so that when you remove the lid it won't show up on the box.

OP here, it took me 1 and a half weeks and 1 failed prototype, but it was so worth it!

But I wish I'd thought of photoshopping out the corners too ... d'oh!

Tip: make the base 1mm³ smaller than the lid
ie: base = 11.9cm x 11.9cm x 11.9cm, lid= 12.0cm x 12.0cm x 4.0cm

It was a triumph,
I'm making a note here: huge success.

what kind of adhesive did you use?
>> Anonymous
Duck tape of course.

eh, the inside of the box is a mess on mine (not OP). i used elmer's glue and clear scotch tape. it's not noticeable in the pictures so i wouldnt be too picky about it.

What grade stock did you use for this? or did you attach it to cardboard or something premade?
>> Anonymous
OP here:
>>142980
I overlaid my regular cardstock of 120g/m² (that I had printed on) onto a box (base and lid) that I had made out of 600g/m² cardboard.
>>142927
I used the scrapbooking glue: Power Pritt Multipurpose Extra Strong Gel - it's very strong and very fast.

The box is held together by masking tape on the outside and then the template is glued over that tape. That way the interior of the box is pristine. Trim the tabs off the top of the side pieces and that way you wont see them folded over the edge.
