oh hay guyz, i was just wondering. this is slightly /v/-related too i guess, but anyways.
would it be possible to rip out the low-poly models of items and stuff from the Phantom Hourglass DS rom, and then slap 'em into Pepakura Designer and make papercraft out of them?
and if so, then how? D: i would love to make a bunch of Zelda-related items.

pic somwhat related, a simple, and uncoloured, rupee-papercraft

how do i do that? D:
and if i ever get to that point, what program should i use to simplifying them? i think i heard of a free program called Blender that could apparently lower the poly-count of a model.. is that what you meant?
i'm quite willing to learn here, as i'd like to contribute to this awesome board instead of just leeching off of everybody else's skillz (except i fail at making my own from scratch)

They have a Windwaker Link over at plus4chan. Same thing as Phantom Hourglass, let me go dig it up.

The last one should be what you're looking for. Thanks for the rupee btw, I'll ad some of those light-reflection-y effects to a colored one if I'm bored.

i was more thinking of the items, such as the shield and sword and hourglass and whatever. breakable pots!

I also wanna rip some models from gaems, but the problem is I wanna do it with my saves in P64 and I only have a plugin for 1964.
Anyway, first you rip the model out, I don't know how with DS roms, go to Deep Exploration and change the format to something you can work with in SketchUp, where you will fix and simplify the model, save in Google Earth 4 format, throw in Pepakura and do your thing.
