>>160652 ive had the opposite experience. when i wrap them too tightly they die during pinching. see in my pic im holding a new fold in my fingers. if i squeeze that too hard, then the whole thing becomes really thin, and the composition of the star is uniform - its like a stack of layers, and thats it. what i do is i dont pinch that part at all, i guess i do wrap the strip around the corners tightly enough, but im careful not to put any pressure on that new fold. when you do it that way, there's a natural pocket in the middle of the star when you're finished, so when you pinch it, the point where the layers separate is much more likely to be in the middle. does that make sense?
