Time for some crappy-quality photos, all right!

The thing you see on the left is hair without the head attached. You can see some interior as well.
Two other shots show the hair with the head attached. It is still not glued, because I will have to re-print the head without the lines (I must have been really sleepy when I was printing this).

The rest of the model is done as well, I just couldn't be bothered to take any pics. Besides, crease lines on the shirt make my eyes bleed.

If you're wondering, it will most likely be released tomorrow.

I'm sorry. I can't recognize who it is. Looks like a mix between that Gorillaz guy and L.

Well, this is going to sound like a crappy excuse for a crappy model, but: one thing, my camera sucks, another thing, the hair will be attached to the head at a different angle, so the hair won't be covering as big part of the face as it does now, *which* might be the reason you confused my L with the Gorillaz guy.

Some global info: In my search for the Ultimate Instruction Template, I'm going to try another type of instruction with this one, using step-by-step SketchUp models.

Yeah, in the second shot he definitely looks like the Gorillaz guy. But no white lines on hair == win.

It looks very good, it's just the face needs some work to make it look more like L.

i think it is pretty good, would be better withouth the lines as all crafts would, but that is just printing not design or execution of the design. good work

The head shape was, and still is, a major pain in the ass. Viewed directly from front, the shape fist perfectly. The problem is the side view. The closer it gets to original L, the harder it is to build. I'll work on it tonight, if nothing works, I'll have to make the model a bit harder.

One other problem is the frontal hair. L needs some more and all facing one direction. Luckily, this isn't much of a problem, mainly because I made my work easier by attaching only a few pieces (see the pic). Eh, laziness.

Yeah, I hate the lines with passion as well. I still don't know why I have printed it with lines.

I don't know if this is the way it is already, but a solution to the hair is just to have it one-sided and not 3D. If the model becomes harder the more it looks like L, then hey, I'll take the harder version.
