hey /po/ i was wondering what you guys use to score before you fold. i'm used to just using another knife but I don't like how it cuts into the paper and leaves a white line when you fold.

I've tried a ballpoint pen but i wasnt a big fan. any suggestions? :]

I've heard using the metal tip of a mechanical pencil

use the back of the knife maybe...

that's what I use and works great for me. I have one for cutting with an ergonomic grip(fiskars), and one with a pencil grip squeezed on it that I use for scoring, at first it might be a little sharp but after a while it will wear down and work even better

I use a thin Guitar Pick.
Use a new one, theyre kind of "sharp" but still smooth, won't hurt the paper unless u want it.

I use the edge of a moddelling putty knife. Not sharp save for the tip, and makes eeexcellant folds.

Go out and buy a seam ripper, they're the best in my opinion.

Also, craft stores actually sell embossing tools but seam rippers cost 2 bucks.

mechanical pencil. The kind that have a thin metal tube sticking out the bottom.

I use the pin of compass cutter.
Drag it on paper with 30 ?.

you could use an embossing tool, it has a ball point on the end. Cutting and scoring takes ages, wished I had the money to get craftrobo.

I use a mechanical pencil, with no lead.

Much better than a knife or ballpoint pen.

I found that the back of my knife is the best because
1. It's already there
2. It's already there
3. Did i mention its already there?

but seriously, it doesn't cost extra, and even when the blade goes dull, the backside still works for scoring. tbh, i just use the blade and apply less pressure, makes everything simpler and quicker

1) go to sewing store
2) get heavy duty needles
3) get one of the rubberized x-acto knives
4) take blade out of knife, insert needle
5) Crease

I use an old blade otherwise I tend to take off small flaps
