Hay guise. Is there any way to turn a .pdf file of a papercraft into a 3d model. Obviously it won't be automatic, but are there any tools that would make it easier to do so?

I need a metal gear rex and ray model for a game I am working on and I feel like there should be a way to reverse engineer the two papercrafts I have.

well gosh darn. RAY wouldn't be too hard to model anyway. I did it a looong time ago, three computers ago. I can do that again pretty easily I think, but REX is the one I'm worried about.

3D modelling programs, do u use them?
there are some free around.
Blender, Google Sketchup, trueSpace (jep microsoft bought the company and is now releasing trueSpace as free 3d software) and Metasequoia. Or just go and buy a good one :D

or just get MGS2:Subsistance and the MGS2 model ripper from the interbutt

I have Cinema4D, a legal version of it too. Rex is just really complex and it would save me quite a bit of time to get a model that is more accurate than I can do.
