can someone tell me how to rip graphics from games I'd like to take my hand at making some
I did, the DOOM renewal wads, Jdoom or something, theyre in .MD2 format, I've used blender (the software) to convert them to .3DS and open the them to pepakura, but still Im having problem with the textures.

Note that it does depend on the game too.
>>61731O RLY?Wanted to make that too but it didn't work at all yet. What a pity.
>>617313ds always seem to offer problems with textures in Pepakura (actually, you shouldn't even have gotten to Pepakura: it gives problems with textures in the 3D software that you need to use since ripped models usually need fixing before they can be made into papercrafts, so when you see it's not gonna work, you don't even get to Pepakura since it would be a waste of time).Try converting them to obj instead, usually works better.
>>61731I've used blender (the software)I do hope /po/ is smart enough to get that lol
>>61763This is now a DooM thread
>>61677If it's a directx9 game (many emulators are directx9 software) you can use 3D Ripper DX (google it) but like>>61763said you really need a 3DCG program to edit the 3D model and if it's not a directx9 game then like>>61753said: it's different for each game since every game developer uses a different method to compress and store the game data for the game discs, so you need a special program for that, for which google is very useful to find.
Duke HRP no textures (D-:)
>>61800That's a BIT too complicated for my taste...
>>61802I know, I'm just trying out different game models, the cacodemon from jdoom seems nice but, i have the same trouble with textures
>>61803Inform me if there is any progress
