pepakura rocks, but... Anonymous
hey /po/, i have a fat pepakura question. Other than fixing the model in 3ds Max, (a pain in the ass in this case) whats the best way to deal with one sided edges? (the red ones by default)???

There are actually two kinds of red edges in Pepakura Designer: flaws on your model (edges that aren't connected properly), and just edges on your model (a box with one open side for example will have red edges around the open side).
To fix flaws, you could try this:
In Pepakura Designer, in the 3DModelWindow menu, click "Join Adjacent Isolated Edges". Sometimes Pepakura is smart enough to understand you fucked up, and will fix it for you by joining the adjacent isolated edges. But sometimes it won't (because the flaw is too big).

In any case, after unfolding, you can also just right-click on the unfolded view, then choose Edit flaps, and then you can add flaps on edges that should have flaps but that don't.

Ah. well ive still been fiddling, and it looks like most of the problems will need to be fixed with the nefarious Boolean operation in Max. thanks much for your tips though.

It looks like a AK-47. Not sure if it's the moving one or a big kamikuzu version.

looks bigger and with more parts than the kamikuzu

Anyone have this model? Not the kamikuzu.
