Yeah, that's brilliant -- as brilliant as a painted-on fire escape door. What happens when zombies *do* attack you? It's a matter of when, not if. Then what the fuck do you have? A paper-mache shotgun? Dumbass. Just get a real shotgun and put it in that glass case.

A shotgun would sucks for zombies, as you need to cock the shotgun after firing it. XM1014 > all shotguns against zombies. Faster ROF = more dead ziombies.

But nice photorealistic pic.

This isn't a shop job, a member on somethingawful put this together for his living room with a toy (airsoft?) shotgun and a shadow box he had lying around.

A fairly inexpensive shotgun is perfectly serviceable for your regular slow moving shuffling zombie and of more use than a pistol or combat knife. Stronger, or faster reloading, guns need only be acquired in the case of super zombies which typically only appear later in an onslaught or during the second attack.

However as pointed out a replica will not be of much use because zombies do not fear guns themselves, but do fear fire, flashes and bangs. If you are stuck with a paper gun in a zombie attack your best chance of survival is to light it and throw it at the advancing horde before running like hell, this will buy you some time to find a gun store.

I hope that helps.

Zombies don't fear...

I think that a combat knife is a stupid weapon against a zombie, A steel pipe would make wonders with the Resident Evil zombies.

actualy, acording to the Zomby Survival Guide, writen by Max Brooks:

6. THE SHOTGUN
At close range against human attackers, this weapon reigns supreme.
Against the living dead, this is not entirely true. A good twelve-gauge
shotgun can literally blow a zombie's head off. However, the longer
the range, the greater the pellet dispersal pattern, and the lesser chance
of skull penetration. A solid slug would have the same effect as a rifle,
even at greater range (provided the barrel is long enough), but in that
case, why not just use a rifle? What shotguns do possess is stopping
power. The scattering shot acts as a solid wall, whereas a rifle bullet
might pass clean through or miss the target altogether. If you are cornered,
or on the run, and need time to escape, a good shotgun blast can
send several zombies sprawling. The downside of a shotgun is that the
large, twelve-gauge shells are bulky and therefore burdensome when ~ ~
traveling and leave less room for other equipment. This must be considered
if a long journey is required.

a copy of this life saveing guide is a must have in todays modern society, one can be found here:

ITT we know counter strike weapons. That shotgun has long taken the name M1014 after having its X dropped.
