Beginner's things... Anonymous
Hello, hello! I was wondering if anyone could put up any papercraft suitable for beginners, or even just general advice/tutorials for beginners. I'm about to have a lot of free time on my hands, and I was thinking of getting into this sort of thing.

Picture entirely unrelated, but amusing?

Well, any Hako model is pretty basic, so start with those. Ill look through my stuff and find some easy ones in a minute.

As for tools, a cutting mat, xacto knives, ruler, etc. I like to use super glue, but a lot of people use tacky glue applied with a toothpick.

Im getting back into these after a year or so, but SCORE YOUR FOLD LINES. This is the main reason I didnt finish the Aliens rifle, or the Metal Gear Rex the first time I tried.

Other than that, its pretty basic. Take your time, dont glue yourself together or cute yourself too much.

You can see a lot of these are pretty simple, mostly boxes.

The files on Masaume's site are intentionally corrupted, as per the old threads here. I wish everyone would kill the links to it, as it's pointless to keep promoting him.

you can find some of those files on plus4chan, and similar files on homespunmagixx.com

thats one of the reasons i like tacky glue (well at least the one i found anyway). the stuff doesn't stick very well to skin. so you can feel free to use your figners to hold em together, get glue on u, have it dry in about 10 seconds and then just roll it off. though on the down side if you don't notice you have glue on you and its still slightly wet (though as i said, it dries fast) it can leave a sticky residue on the model which sticks dirt and crap from ur finger.

I might check it out once im out of super glue...its got to be cheaper, at the very least. How well does it hold together card stock? The other thing about super glue is that it discolors paper very easily, at least white paper.

WOW. I never knew that...granted, any of his models i got from 4shared, so i wouldnt...

What piece of drama did I miss about that?
