Dear /po/
Finally I have decided that I want to start making my own papercrafts but I have some questions.

first, wich is the best program for 3d modeling, sketchup, blender or metasequoia.

second, where i can find the best tutorials for these programs. inb4: google

third, what should and shouldn't do at the moment of exporting 3d models into pepakura

and fourth, how do I unfold manually in pepakura.

please help me I promise to share everything I made with you.

well... I use Metasequoia, it's good for low-poly models and maybe it's the easier one,
Zealot hobby forum has a good Metaseq:how-to-model-a-papercraft tutorial...
I don't know if a Pepakura tutorial exists, but it's so easy and intuitive, just learn to use 'Join\Disjoin Face' and 'Edit Flaps' and you can do everything!
If you have doubts, write here your problem and someone will answer...
good luck!

you can join and disjoin panels on the 3-D view of pepakura. Makes it so easy.

You'll actually need a 3dmodeler made by Dassault Systemes, it is the only thing that works for papercrafting.

another anon here, I just checked and Dassault Systemes seem to have several programs, will any of those work? also do you recommend any in particular?

Seriously, any 3D modeling program will work. Try Sketchup or Metasequoia, they're probably the easiest to use.

If you're going to use Pepakura, make sure to use one that it can import the files from -- install it and look at the supported file types to be sure.
