Dragon Papercraft Lupononcrepi !!vtf6Y2L7QVg
A friend of mine is interested in the large dragon papercraft, the one that curls up the base, but I wanted to show him a picture of it before I started making it, so I'd know if he'd like it. I have all the PDOs, but I'm missing the finished picture, can anyone help me out?

Also, if anyone has advice on building it, that'd be great.

Picture related, as it's the head of the aforementioned dragon (without the spines and crap).

there's a picture of it on the /po/ wiki under the title "japanese dragon"

Things to know before building:
-It'll take a long time. I spent two weeks constantly working on it. If you're giving it to someone, make sure it's worth it.
-Put some kind of weight in the base of the stand, otherwise the whole thing will lean and/or fall over.
-The only way to avoid having ugly black lines all over it is to build it inside out like I did. You'll have to color the eyebrows yourself, and alter the stand so that the dragon will mount properly.
-Start at the head and work your way down
-On each section after the head, the piece closest to the head goes inside the next section closest to the head. May not make sense now, but it will when you build it.
-Use the thickest paper you got. I used 67lb cover paper and it was pretty delicate.

- I'm unemployed, my best friend just became "that guy" with his new girlfriend and I'm in night school, so I've lots of time to do this.

- Weights I can do, I think I have some sinkers from when I used to go fishing with my dad that I can glue inside.

- I think I may keep the lines, they look a little like scales. I'll just make sure they're neat.

- Looking at the PDO and picture, it looks like there aren't any tabs between the pieces, but instead the top of the next piece down fits entirely into the last piece of the previous one. Does that sound about right?

- I have some nice cardstock and a bottle of rubber cement, so I think I should be good on sturdiness.

Also, does it matter that I don't have A4 paper, or will clicking on Adjust Scale when I print distort it?

Correct. Good eye for noticing that before building.

Also something to think about if you want it to last and be even more sturdy is modge podge glue. I used it on mine when I built it like 2 1/2 years ago and it's still standing strong (would show pics but gave it to my nephew) use it in thin layers though so you don't saturate the paper.

i doubt having your printer adjust the scales would have any negative effect other than making the dargon slightly smaller (which is more of a blessing than a curse, shit is fucking huge)

I however, rearranged the pieces to fit on about 25 sheets of letter sized cardstock. I have the pdo's zipped up but i'm too lazy to upload them l bel helblehebleh

if you really want it i will :\

could you possibly post the PDO for this?

I want to build it once fear fest is over, I'll have endless time

I'd like the adjusted PDOs, if it's not too much trouble. Also, is there any way to alter the colour of the base? I want it all to be red, but it says I can't alter the texture.
