i don't know how to reverse engineer origami.. i'm sort of a beginner but I've got a lot of patience and I do other types of arts and crafts so I'm sure I can do this if someone would help me out.

I want to make an iguana origami as a christmas present for someone-- or paper craft is fine too (i'd rather have it be origami but i'll take what i can get) . I'm having trouble finding diagrams or even the magazines that are SUPPOSED to have iguana diagrams (BOS magazine and Der Falter, apparently they're very exclusive origami society magazines?) so I'm hoping someone can help me out... Provide a site with diagrams or a .pdf file? thanks in advance.

Ben's a friend of mine. This year he received the Yoshino Fund invitation. Because of that, he finally made diagrams for his Iguana, which you can find in the 13th Tanteidan Convention Book.

How to get free stuff from the internet, like Amazon gift certificates and shit:

Step 1: Install Firefox autoreloader: http://tinyurl.com/32wqmn

Step 2: Go to this site: http://tinyurl.com/ynkurk
and sign up. Make sure to uncheck the box that lets them send you email offers and garbage.

Step 3: Go to the search page at that site and input any search. (internet hate machine, etc.)

Step 4: Set Firefox to autoreload the page every 5 seconds.

Step 5: ?????

Step 6: Profit! I won a $5 gift certificate in the first 15 minutes. It might take longer, but if you just set it up and leave it every day, you get tons of free shit. (Make sure to check your "My Prizes" page periodically)

hooray! thanks anonymous.
though... 42 dollars for a book that i just one origami piece from seems a little hefty... he doesn't have a pay site where you can just pay him to send you individual origami diagrams?

Same iguana? Didn't say who made it but it looks very similar.

I'm sure there's more from it you'd like. Anyhow, no, he doesn't have a paysite like that. In fact, I only know of one person who sells individual diagrams online, and that is Marc Kirschenbaum ( http://marckrsh.home.pipeline.com/ )

Well, Ben's Iguana is pretty old. He's had the same basic design since 2003, making minor adjustments since. Both of the iguanas in this thread look like his old Origamido-foil ones. At the recent Tanteidan Convention he displayed a great one folded from non-foil-backed paper.
