I'm working on a megatron and shockwave model, but at the moment am dedicating my modeling time to doing a transformable vehicle voltron.

>> Anonymous
>>164477

Well, after looking at 360 degree pics the shapes are alot more simple than the lion voltron was, it's just a matter of working out how they are going to connect. I have a buddy that's cool enough to let me borrow his original toy of it for reference, The plan is to release them in teams. Land team, air, and sea in no particular order.

At first I was, "Finally!"
I opened the file and went, "oh... this can't be."
Then I was, "Fuck this shit."
Pixels... fucking pixels. The best reason to use PDF is vector.
FAIL for not being vector.
Color? Flat floodfill color everywhere, no shading or variation, few places with work seem barely worth the effort.
FAIL for uninspired color.
Details, oh wait what. Panel lines, decals, ridges, recesses... nothing.
FAIL for weak detail.
The details it does have?
FAIL for photo paste elements.
Joints... I can't completely tell from the parts and instructions, but moving joints don't seem to be in this.
FAIL if it does not pose.
The most important part, yes THAT feature, the one that is asked for EVERY FUCKING TIME.
FAIL FOR NON-TRANSFORMABLE TRANSFORMER.
If it's gonna be this big, and based on a toy, at least have it buildable in either form.
It has the look of, "Oh I got bored with it, so; here everyone."
Sure, make transforming Go-Lion, but make a Transformer the way everyone else does: non-transforming, aw crap.
And the only transforming Prime available is complete and utter crap worse than masamune.
Fuck this shit. Fuck it all.
>> Anonymous
>>164465
Dairugger doesn't transform much. I recall a moving panel to reveal the face, but everything pretty much just stacks together. Should be easy to do, especially the "LOL I'm a BLOCK" vehicles.

Wow, so I guess your pretty pissed about all that money you wasted buying this thing. Oh wait that's right it was free. If you dislike the model so much make a better one rather than bitching that it doesn't meet your exacting standards.

is there a pdo for the black lion?
I have the other 4...but now there's a pdf for all five.
I'd like to resize this if possible.

would you be willing to share the pdo if you have it, voltron5?
>> Anonymous
>>164563

Unfortunately I don't have a whole voltron pdo, I do however have a shitty pdo of the black lion. By shitty I mean there were some errors in the 3d model that I couldn't seem to fix no matter how I remodeled it, the pdo needs to be extracted and some parts copied and mirrored plus there were a few pieces custom made by the person that helped me with beta building and improving upon the design. But for what it's worth the link is here

to the anon that posted the comments about the optimus papermodel not being transformable and to there liking. I'm sorry you feel that way, forgive my stupidity as I'm still fairly new to the whole modeling and paint programs etc. but what did you mean by it not being vector, If the model would have turned out better this way I would love to know more about this to help with the next one. Consider the one I just released as a for now model, I had already planned to revisit this one later and edit it to make it transformable, it's gonna be alot of moving parts but I think I'm starting to get the hang of moving parts.

>>164574
ah shit sorry just noticed that, gimme a minute.

don't sweat it. there's seriously one fag that goes around trying to troll modelers into not releasing models by making /po/ out to be a cesspool of retarded brats.
for a first endeavor into a transformable model, this is really nice.
please keep up the good work.

Here you go, I just took all the seperate pdo files I had and threw them in. Did I mention they were shit, if you resize just use the original pdf as reference for coloring. Oh and the full voltron pdf isn't locked so you can extract them to jpeg or something.

requesting small scale black
>> Anonymous
>>164918

I am gonna need a few days to get the small scale version done, mainly cause so much was changed and custom parts created after I exported the pdo. So I have to go back and do the same thing for the small scale version, I released the large scale version cause most people I know that are building it printed 2 pages per sheet from the large scale version.
>> Anonymous
>>164921

I probably should ave mentioned that in the pic I posted of the black lion and the partially built voltron were printed at 2 pages per sheet, so it's half the large scale intended size. Did I mention it's pretty big, the total full size assembled model is somewhere between 50-60 cm.

So what scale was used for 2-to-page printing? Half? Or closer to two-thirds?
>> Anonymous
can you put up Skp....
>> Anonymous
>>165072
Judging by his title, I'd say he was pointing out the fact that reducing the 2D area by half would result in a model that was 1/4 of the 3D volume of the original and not 1/2.
