Folding bones. Anyone use them? Worth the money? Why? Or just for style reasons?
>> Anonymous
thats what it is? I never knew, I have one but I don't know how to use it

Just like those lego seperators

I have two or three bone folders. I love them. They make very sharp, clean folds, and I use them to smooth paper I've glued, or to hold parts my fingers can't reach. I think if you work a lot with paper, they're worth the 5 or 6 bucks.

Get the ones made from real bone, though. I didn't like the plastic ones.

Is a folding bone like a cock mongler?

I have one, but that's because I'm a bookbinder.
As far as papercraft goes, I don't think it would be very useful, but Origamists would probably fall in love with it.

Hmm, op here. I'm actually into origami, never tried paper craft. Anyway, I had one for awhile when I was doing a lot of book binding for a class. Lent it too a friend in the class, and never got it back.
I've been thinking about getting another one.

It's immensely useful for papercraft, I think. As I said before, I use it to hold down tabs inside models, where I can't reach well. It is also good for curving and curling paper.

You don't know how to use a lego separator? That's sad. I figured it out when I was 5.

A hard plastic or even a metal ruler works as a half decent substitute. Metal is a bit harsh. but folding bones are the best.
