/po/ seems like the best place for this, seeing as you all are the creative kind of people.
They just cut down a tree in my apartment complex, and they said I could take some pieces.

What do you guys think I should carve?
I was thinking about some masks(namely those from Majora's Mask), but other than that I'm drawing a blank.

If you can get a few pieces, go for it. Make sure to let the wood dry out before carving though. At least 3 to 5 days, or more if possible. Fresh cut wood like that has fair bit of moisture in it. If you were to cut a mask out of it now, the mask would probably crack when it eventually shrinks as it dries.

Also, if you've never worked with wood before, this is a great opportunity to learn. Woodworking is becoming a dying art nowadays. Look on the net about woodcarving, it should help give you some ideas, and point you in the right direction.

My apologies. You aren't a douche, and I misread your post. I haven't seen one, but I'm thinking a wooden dildo is possible. Splinters would be hell though.

Very nice carving. Is it all one piece, or are the spikes seperate pieces? As far as drying goes, air drying is best, but I've seen people put a piece of wood in a kitchen-style oven set to it's lowest temp to help speed up the process. I personally don't recommend it, as if something funky happens, the wood catches fire, and everything goes to hell in a handbasket.

the spikes are glued on.
The body is actually made out of an 8-foot 2X4 glued into a block, then filed into shape.

I'm probably going to make another one, this one will be a solid block of wood. It's the first thing I thought of when I saw these cylinders of wood.
