Herro all. I don't know anything about paper stuff, but my girlfriend loves it. She's making little paper boxes and animals and geometric shapes and so on.

I'd like to make her something out of paper for her birthday soon. It doesn't have to be romantic or anything, but you know. Not a giant paper cock.

Suggestions are very welcome from all. I usually hang out on /b/ or /s/ so I have no idea if this is even an acceptable question. Whatever.

I'm looking for ideas and maybe some addresses about where I can order stuff.

Thanks.

Paper Vagoo?

Yeah, like that only completely different.

I'm looking for something less SEX OMG I'M 12 YEARS OLD and more nice. Something that I can assemble and she can put on top of her fridge or something. I don't know.

Not like a paper vagoo, for instance.

what difficulty are you looking for?

good advice would be to lurk some origami sites and look for something you like, most of them have at least one or two cool (and easy) models.

or a guy fawkes mask.

Moony, have you actually made that, if so how long. I was totally going to make one for my gf but decided that after making the sponge, more carpal tunnel was the last thing i needed. To Op: a simple box with a cool top is one of the simplest things and with something like a origami rose on the inside it's a sure hit.

I'd say you should look for a simple rose... something like that.

This isn't exactly papercraft or origami, but duct-tape roses make a pretty decent impression and aren't too difficult. You could even make a bouquet of them within a week or two.

OP here.

I just want to thank you for your suggestions. I'm going with either some sort of paper rose thing or the duct tape rose.

Here's an epic rose CP, just print it out and fold along the lines. May take a bit to work it out but I'll post an image of the final product.

That's very pretty, but I suspect it will be too difficult for me. I have no experience with this sort of thing at all.
