Hey /po/ I'm ready, but I need your help.

I have some designs and lots of ideas for toyart and Papercraft, and I want to start doing my own designs and models. But I never touched 3D, I've read all the pages and there isn't any thread about it.

So I would like to know wich program you recomend for a noob in 3D like me.
I learn fast, although the design I've in mind right now is quite simple, made of squares (like that Card-boy or Box-boy and similars).

If I get to it be sure I'll upload everything I do (if it's not horrendous x_x). You always share great stuff, so I would like to share my creations too.

Thnx in advice!

Try Avid SoftImage XSI. They've got a plug-in that allows for export as flat for papercraft... I think there's also one for export as pepakura file. You can get a 30-day full-use trial period from their website, google it. It does a whole bunch of nifty things, and it's moderately easy to use.

If all else fails, use Sketchup. It's like Paint, but 3D.

Thanks MenelMakar, I've googled for Avid SoftImage XSI and seen videos on youtube about it and Sketchup, this one seems a lot easier but XSI looks like it have lots of tools.

I'll try the one that's easy and faster to download. Thanks again, both of them look awesome.
