Fellow /po/ets.

I bought a copy of that Paper Clock book recently, and I wanted to ask some things before I started. Has anybody made one? Any pointers? What exactly is latex glue? It's not every day I pay for a model, and my craftsmanship has been a little shabby lately, so I wanna get this right

Y'know, this one? Someone posted about it a while ago, but I don't think there are any templates

Not that kind of "post it please". The kind of "post it please" where you take the papercraft clock files from your hard drive, compress them, and upload them to rapidshit.

I have built the model three times, only one of which worked. The only advice i have is this, work very slowly and work accurately especially on the gear pieces. This is a challange, but i feel it is one worth while when it gets built and works.

Only one out the three? That isn't too motivating... What kind of glue did you use? All I've really got is some Elmer's and superglue, but the instructions ask for latex glue. Isn't that just rubber cement? Does it really matter?

I use tomba aqua glue, you don't need to use anything special. And yeah took three builds, but you don't have to rebuild all of it, i had to make three of most of the gears so i could get them to fit properly. It is a really cool piece that is well worth the effort, but do yourslef a favor, either scan the templates and build from printed versions or order two more books and wait till they come to start. heh

Bump because this is relevant to my interests. also, i will love you forever if you scan/upload this.

Some fabric glues are latex-based, maybe that's the same thing. Try your local sewing supply store.
>> Anonymous
can you use normal white glue?
>> Anonymous
I've heard the term "latex glue" for just about most glues under the sun.

Just use something that'll hold it together correctly is my guess. White glue applied properly will do the trick, though since this is pretty heavy-duty, I'd probably go for something stronger for ease myself.

Ya I've built this... its really not that hard, and you can get the book for about 3 bucks off of amazon. Just search paper craft clock.

Will we be getting this soon?
