Well, the Nazgul thread has been deleted, possibly before my hints were even read. So let's start it up again.

Here were the last posts.

OP from last thread here. Thank you, if it was one singular person, very much for all your aide. I think that without your help, I would have gotten nowhere.

But a question that I tried to ask before the last thread was deleted: Am I correct in assuming that the paper needs to be colored the same on both sides?

The paper _should_ be the same color on both sides, but the only things that will affect are the head--that triangle where the eyes are, the inside of the hood, the underside of the hands, and the overall cleanliness of the finished piece. One color means no white streaks.

And yes, apart from the photo manipulations (other than the ref creases), all the helpful posts were mine.

How's your model coming along?

Well, I've collapsed ny secind try into the base. My first try wouldn't flatten right around where the rider's head was, beacuse none of the photos I had were clear enough to see. I'm not going to continue the second one, however, because it's just regular kami and wont hold together the way I want. I might fold it again and try to work out a more traditional way to gget to the base, or I might just go straight for the final model. It won't happen too soon, though, because of time, things I have to do, etc.

While origami paper won't allow you to properly finish it off, you can use origami paper or Japanese foil to practice, and to get an idea of what needs to be done for shaping, etc.

I know that, and was intending it for practise only. I knew all along that the final product would be made with tissue foil; I just used kami to get the base down, and so the creases would be easily reversible.
