Hey guys, got a question.

What's the best way to sharpen my X-acto knife?
I've got a whetstone, but it doesn't help that much.
Or would it just be better to get new blades?

Pic unrelated.

Go the new blades - they're not that expensive, and will save you a whole heap of grief.

yeah, just buy new blades. Sharpening an x-acto isn't really worth it.

I find that sharpening them helps to extend their lives.
Practice, practice practice.
Still only makes them usable for only a bit longer sadly.

Clip the dull point off?

I use a steel. Or any piece of tempered steel. It gives the blade extra life at the expense of having to sharpen it fairly often.

whet stone takes forever.

There's these cool little tools you can get at walmart or another store like that, that are basically just a handle and 2 opposing metal file blades.

I drag my x-acto blad through it a couple times every hour or so, and I keep it sharp for daaaaays.

Its in the kitchen gadgets area for sharpening knives. Hmm... better take a pic.

Here you go.

I got one of them! It works a treat on my kitchen knives!
