As far as I've seen, there aren't correct diagrams for Phu Tran's rose online. And I've seen quite a few versions. I sort of learned it from him once, but I wasn't able to keep up, since I was teaching someone else something at the same time (BIG MISTAKE). But I at least know the correct angle for the grid.

If you fold a crease connecting the middle of the top edge to the bottom left corner, and then repeat that for the other sides. That is the angle you want. Continue making the grid as in the "new" Kawasaki rose (that thing's gotta be ten years old). That's as far as I can remember about how to fold it.
