Any help with 49-50? I stabbed three sheets to death (and after this my desk is so rigged with holes that it needs replacing D: ) on my attempts on this.

Haha it's because i had chosen a wizard ar my first origami ( I started papercraft with REX and had no problems, so I thought I could start with advanced origami as well)

Basically, it's an open sink. You do something similar to a reverse fold in a sink fold. I don't really know how best to describe it, so I'll start by giving you a rapidshare of symbols and folds used in origami. http://rapidshare.com/files/5743123/symbols-and-folds.rar

Also, since I'm already logged onto rapidshare, here's an origami pattern for a lion. http://rapidshare.com/files/8168658/lion.pdf

Ah, and if you need more help, just say so.

Stop making new threads for every step.

Also, don't start learning origami with Satoshi Kamiya stuff. What are you, crazy? Find a book with of varying difficulty. Tanteidan convention books are good for that. Also origami.com has a ton of stuff.

I agree, making new threads for every step is pretty annoying. Also, like you said, do not use anything of Satoshi Kamiya's to learn origami on. You need to already have completely mastered all of the main origami folds before even getting into his work. Origami isn't as intuitive to most people as putting paper crafts together. I would reccomend a paper crane, kusudama ball, or something like that for learning how to do origami. Animals are a focus for a lot of origami, so maybe you can find some simpler versions of those. I could even try to look up some for you to learn off of, if you want, but just don't start with something so difficult.

People complained that i posted for help on this model, and i was unaware that there was already a thread on it. I'm a little more experienced than OP, but i have a couple of problems here:

I kinda get what happens in step 70 and 71. But i can't seem to find a logical way to fold 72, because not only doesn't it fold naturally, but a lot of the lines (the horizontal ones) aren't there. Can someone show a pic of how this is done? Or try to explain more in-depth?

Sorry, thought you were the original poster.

Anyhow, just extend the horizontal creases. You need to stretch the structure as far as you can. You're basically performing an internal Elias-stretch.
