The lbs system does not take into account the size of the sheet: it measures the weight of 500 sheets. So 45 lbs can mean you have 500 pages the size of a postal stamp that weigh 500 lbs, or it can mean 500 sheets the size of a football field weigh 45 lbs. That's a big difference. A table wich gives you one answer to convert paper weights from gsm to lbs, must state the size of the sheets. If it doesn't, the table is useless.
