This was exactly what I thought when I assembled the beak. Here's where a few problems come into play. A little backstory first.
I couldn't find any videos on YouTube or anything that included the entire episode that the parrot was in, so I didn't know how many shots or angles of it I was missing. I got digital cable recently, and on the "On Demand" section, they had the Boomerang channel complete with a few episodes of Dexter's Lab. By complete coincidence, one of the 8 episodes available was The Parrot Trap.
Now, in the episode, the entire parrots size shifts. One second it will fit in your hand, the next its as big as your head. So the one I already made is in its "mid-point". Meaning it's not as big as its biggest, and not as small as its smallest. The problem this presents is that the beak is too small. And I printed the beak full-page. The beak needs to be bigger. So Jen, since I'm not confident in resizing/scaling to proportion abilities, would you be so kind as to spread the beak across 2 different pages? This would be much appreciated.
Also, two references of the beak itself. I might just include the option to do this:
Cut out the beak parts, glue them directly onto a sheet of black construction paper, and then cut out the part around the black construction paper, thus giving the mouth a black inside.
