The Big Link thread is gone again. Why. does it keep getting deleted or do i just turn around for 10 hours and it's been pushed off the board.

How is the progress on the new model and ripping process coming.
>> Anonymous
Threads do get deleted because they're old or they get bumped off, but on /po/ it's usually more than 10 hours, so I'm not sure...
Nor do I know if anyone is working on it, but if I am any indication, if I make a papercraft, I work on it today for like an hour or so, then I get distracted, and next week I work on it again for an afternoon or so. I think the way it works is as follows: you shouldn't rush people making a papercraft you really want, because it will be made from your biggest game hero, but because it was rushed it will have the Pepakura syndrome (eg it will suck ). And then everybody looses.
Either someone is working on it and you should just wait, or nobody is and what are you gonna do about it then? Papercraft requires patience above all else lol...

Do we have a pic of the original big link model. i never got to see it.

i was supposed to rip him and then post all the stuff so someone elese could fix up the model but the cheat codes for adult link doesnt work (meaning i have to do everything from the begining) also i am losing interest so it might take a while. maybe if someone emails icthus7 and asks for the pass to the model he made he'll give it, i think it might be on his mdp profile... that would probbly be much faster and easier

double click the cheat
double click old link
check the cheat
press the button ingame
you can't be the only one the cheat doesn't work for
>> The windwaker bomb Awkrap
Can someone post the windwaker bomb model again?
Or help me to find it.
Much appreciated

Here you are. Now back onto the subject of big link.

>>125545
i've tried that, there is probbly something wrong with the rom i downloaded or something stupid... either way i'm up to dodongos cavern, ripping things as i go along (Ex: gorons bracelet, sling shot, ect.) so i guess its not that bad of a thing
>> Aravin
>>125663
Are you going to post them in a model pack for us?
>> Notlaw
>>125663
Alright! we need more papercrafts of zelda items. Once you get the big link model, would you mind ripping the sword and sheid models? There is the kid sword (cant remember the name of it), the master sword, the biggoron sword (broken and not broken), the wooden sheild, the hylain sheild, and the mirror sheild. (I would really love to see these in full scale.) And also: could it be the emulator you that downloaded that won't make the cheats work? Maybe you didn't get the latest version?
>> Anonymous
>>125455
It sure takes you a long time to turn around.
>> Notlaw
>>125663
*sigh* Heres the thing with the ocarina of time roms: when it was made for the 64 there was 3 versions: the gold cartridge was the first version, and the gray cartridges were either the second or third version, depending on when they were manufactured. So, when dumping the cartridge to make the rom, those three versions appeared on the net, but when you download the rom, it doesn't say which version it is. The difference between the versions is slight, but only certain codes work on certain versions. So, depending on which website you downloaded the rom from, the cheats may or may not work. You might be able to find a "play as big link only" cheat on the internet for your version of the rom, but that could take a while. And that, folks, is where babies come from.
P.S. sorry for the long post.

Speaking of making paper crafts from zelda items. does anyone know what happened to 16bit? are the models he released the only ones he was going to do or are there more in the works?

So does this mean that you will release all of the models as soon as you rip all the items that you want?

Wassup, zelda fans?
it's been a while since the guy that told us he was foing to crack the file visited us, and I haven't seen the guy that was going to ask the modeler for the password...
I think i (may) have found something valuable:
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/File_Encryption_Utilities/pdf_Recover_Professional.html
I've never used it, but I'm in a rush and I have to leave NOW
just wanted to let you know about this program, maybe it could help you to decode the file, I'm sure that we all would be happy to see that already ripped model available...
hope it helps...

>>126282
I've tried two password recovery programs: one of which would have taken nine days to work, and another which would not crack the papercraft because its password was too long and I only had the trail version. Heres an idea: what is icthus7's email?
>> Anonymous
>>126340
i think its jacniel07047@hab.jovenclub.cu
i got it from http://www.bongo-papercraft.net/2008/02/beauty-and-beast-clock.html

Thanx. Now who on this board has the balls to email this guy to ask him for the password to his big link template? PS. If someone does get the password, then I will re-upload the template.
>> Xydirus
>>126350
crap... I was hoping that program could help... if he speaks spanish I could, if not I think it would be better that someone else emailed him...
>> Anonymous
>>126417
He might. His big link template is called "big link no lineas" or something like that instead of "no lines". This is either a typo, or an indication that he doesn't speak English.
>> Anonymous
yes he does speak spanish
>> Anonymous
>>126435
Good. Hey Xydirus, would you mind to ask him? Remember to be kind and courteous, and be sure to mention that he will be given full credit for the model at all times. (We really need that password.)
>> Anonymous
>>126348
Actually do want that Cogsworth, too, but I do not speak spanish so I never tried e-mailing about it.
>> Anonymous
>>126459
i'm pretty sure that if any of us can be kinda and courteous it's Xydirus
>> Anonymous
and actually while you're asking mind getting the password for that beauy and the beast clock as well? that's something that i'd like to be able to make and not just stare at the unopened .rar file for.

Ok, then I'll email him, just gimme some data about all the stuff you want me to ask him, because I have no idea about what does "Cogsworth" mean, and it would kind of weird to tell him "that cogsworth thing" so...
and, sorry to be an ass, but (as yesterday) I just came here to check my mail before class (some teachers are idiots in my school, they send you things that you have to print for class, 2 hours before class...) anyway, i'm going now, so:
most probably I'll be back in 12 hours (man, i hate university) if this thread is deleted before 12 hours after this post, just open a new thread with the guys page, his email and what do you want me to ask him.
>> Anonymous
>>126518
Cogsworth is the name of the Beauty and the Beast clock. I don't know what his name is in spanish, so you should probably call it just that: the Beauty and the Beast clock. It's just the same situation as the big Link- it's in a passworded rar and we would like the password. Thanks for being willing to help.
>> Aravin
Asking him should work. he even said on his site to email him if you want passwords. the only thing is that i can't speak Spanish.

Ah, good. So you still plan on releasing some tloz models. I think that big link should be in the same pose as ninjatoes kid link. Did you say Shiek? Sheik!!! WHOO! Also, would you mind posting the master sword in the pedestal of time? You will see it right before turning into kid link. A adut mallon wouldn't be bad either. (right after turning into adult link, you can find her in Lon Lon Ranch. I look forward to seeing/building your models!

Don't worry, you just saved me and a few others from having to say it. I found that out once with Puyo Puyo 2 for the Super Famicom. I was trying to use an English patch on the ROM, and it never seemed to work. I read something minor in the translator's notes and found out that the ROM that they had programmed the patch for had a bad checksum. Since nothing else had worked, I decided to go ahead and try to find a version of the ROM with a bad checksum and patch it with the English translation. It worked, and shortly thereafter I got to see what Masked Satan was saying to Arle. It's hilarious.
