the o in /po/ does stand for origami, but if you would care to notice the top of the page, the p clearly stands for papercraft.

I was working on a DDR/ITG machine, but got kinda fed up with it--I remember it had some massive problems when unfolding the 3D model. If anyone out there's relatively experienced with this and wouldn't mind taking a second to help me troubleshoot, that'd be great.

Someone help this man.

DDR machine-making guy here. I basically have the DDR machine 3d model in Sketchup format, and sorta need help unfolding it properly--when I tried to do it, it created all these wierd random-ass shapes.

I'd post the file if anyone could help with this.

That's because when you do an auto-unfold, Pepakura tries to keep it all in one piece (or as few pieces as possible). You'll have to do some manual fine-tuning to the templates to get it to look like you want. Or get someone else to do it.

Moar of this pls.

So by "fine-tuning" do you mean I could, say, chop the parts apart in Photoshop and stitch them back together the way I want? Or is there a more intelligent way to do this (I pray there is)?

chop them apart and stitch them back together in pepakura. look for an icon that looks like a zipper, then play around, you'll figure it out.
