Origami is the past,
Papercraft is the future.
Get used to it.

GIEF! >_<

Origami is more something you just do; lots of people make papercraft templates, they're easy to understand (cut+fold+glue), but it's not so easy to make understandable origami instructions to pass on to others on the internet (fold this thingy under the other thingy fold+open 30 times, unfold to step 54, repeat steps 1-16; I'm stuck at step 27 pls help!! ty, and now I don't understand the arrows at step 28, pls help!!)

Some papercraft is easy, some is very hard.
Some origami is easy, some is very hard.
What>>49995was actually saying, is that making the DIAGRAMS for origami is hard (how do you make clear how you need to fold the next step?) and making the templates for papercraft is easier, since the parts basically only come together in one way, you can't really go wrong, but with origami, a diagram is often difficult to understand, since maybe the diagram tries to tell you to fold it up, but you can just as easily misread it and fold it down.

Origami designers are too few and probably stay away from 4chan.

HOW IS IT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE TO FOLD A SINGLE SHEET THAT MUCH?!?!?
>> Anonymous
Thats actually "easy" compared to some others, such as Kamiya's Ryu-zin. Imagine steps 1-100, then repeat steps 95-100 one thousand times, then continuing on and ending at step 500. His Bahamut (from ff7) is diagrammed unlike what I previously mentioned, and its 205 steps over 15 pages. It takes about 3-4 hours to fold decently.
