Isn't half the fun in cutting the pieces yourself? Although, I guess this would be useful in really tedious projects. Not worth it's price, I'm sure.

definatly not worth the price, but i would like to see how well it works for papercraft templates.
>> Moony
it's made for papercraft. the new version of pepakura even exports in a format it can read and cut.

It's got to be a bitch to convert current models to be cut by that thing, if possible even. Plus I wonder how it does with the smaller pieces...

a challenger appears!

it cuts thanks to a photoshop plug in, so that means you make a new layer in the pic that will be the cut lines

Obviously, it's not like you can print out a template you found on the interwebs, then put it in your craftrobo and it magically knows where to cut. YOU need to TELL the machine where to cut and where to score.
These are not very useful tools for just hobbyists, /po/ is better off with a hobby knife.

True. Someone who understands vector drafting needs to prepare a cutting template for each page to be cut. I don't see the problem since /po/ is filled with professional CAD engineers... oh wait.

lol you don't need to be a professional CAD engineer to work with Craftrobo...
If you made your papercraft yourself with Pepakura, it's just a matter of clicking a button and all the work is done automatically.
And on existing papercrafts, of course it comes with software that will help you to prepare the template for cutting.
But it's still not a very useful tool for hobbyists. ;)
