dear /po/,
I'm building an SD gundam and want to make leg's and arm's joints moveable as pic.
Does exist a pack of basic articulations?
or can someone tell me if in an another SD gundam are included?
Thanx

If no joints, can someone tell me the easiest possible 3d modeller(one who works with pepakura)?

use snap-on clasps like the guy who made the scratchbuilt bumblebee

We repeat again, newdykes, pepakura is an UNFOLDER, you will need a 3D manipulation software to create and/or modify models.

He clearly meant one that exports to a format Pepakura can recognise.

Basically you make holes in the two parts that you want to rotate, and make a little axle with flanges on the ends bigger than the hole so they won't fall out. Many of the Advance Wars units from Ninjatoe's use this method: http://members.home.nl/saarloos/awmodels.htm

I think it's the simplest way. Some designers use other, more intricate methods but usually: the simpler the better.
You can omit the axle part if you want, just don't glue the flanges to the parts (well you can glue one of them to the part, just not both or it won't work).

thank you all for your suggestions.
I'll study the SD hi-nu, it looks a little masterpiece.
Last week I bought clic-clac clasps and probably I'll use them for hip and shoulder.
For elbow I'll probably use the joint from SD Silvine by June(looks easy and well-drawn).
Problems are legs' joints(they have to hold all the weight).
And mainly the wings that need to open and rotate ahead as in pic(isn't cool?).
I think I'll need to draw the "opener" device.
Can you suggest a EASY 3d modeller(yes, obviously I ment one that exports to a format that pepakura can read, sorry for grammar!).

Easiest 3D modeller is SketchUp I think.

Do what I do, just reinforce the area that you want a joint and put in a toothpick (or two). And for doing that just scratch build it, dont bother with the 3d modeler.

I'm using clasps and joints from other SD gundams for arms and legs but I need a particular "drawer" joint for the wings (see>>89549).
Any ideas?
