just a paper craft question... Anonymous
okay so when im dong papercraft, for example, whenn i do the wind waker link papercraft, should i use regular paper instead or cardstock since the link papercraft is kinda curvy? and it would be kind of difficult to hold a curved piece of cardstick with glue?

lets see

paper: easy to manipulate and easy to glue, bad very fragille

card stock: very sturdy...hard to stay glued together on some papercrafts...

am i right or wut?

idk

I always use regular ole paper and I don't have any problems.

you should always bend the parts so they stay in the correct shape and THEN glue them together

yes, curl the bits before you glue them, should be fine.

the trick to curling: rub a hard small cylinder shape against the piece while holding it in the palm of your hand, it will give it a nice curve. then just adjust to fit while gluing

I use 200 gsm cardstock (2.5 times as thick as regular printer paper which is 80 gsm) and it is just as easy to shape and glue and handle small parts as regular paper, the only difference is that it's sturdier.
The only reason you shouldn't use cardstock is if you don't have any, which is actually a very good reason (but it IS the only one).

Keicraft has a tutorial on his site on how to roll paper into a curved shape. Between an online translator like babelfish and looking at the picture instructions, it should be possible to figure out what's going on.

The small cylinder shape method that anonymous mentioned earlier also works nicely.
