How does I remove individual lines in Google Sketchup and reduce the number of faces?

Eraser tool only selects the entire model and wipes it out

If you want to reduce the number of faces, you'll have to manually use the Move command on points to flatten them out (though it's likely there's a far better way of doing this; check the sketchup forums).

If you want to just make the lines invisible however, hold shift and erase.

select the model then go to Edit->component->explode.
this may just split it into several smaller models, if this happens just repeat these same steps with all of the smaller models selected.

Ok cowboy ill be nice this time.... what you are trying to do is called polygon reduction. In English make your model have less breaks or surfaces. As far as i know sketch up does not have a tool to complete this task. With out learning any new software the only stand alone application that can do this is ....
