Ok, proper show off your papercraft thread. Been a long time since the last one.

Here's my collection so far;
(Not sure why the quality is so much worse than usual today)

Picture includes;
Original gunblade
My doubled size gunblade
Fuchikoma
Half done Lawgiver
M41-A Pulse Rifle
4chan party van
Partly done DE (experimental, trying to find out how to make it, very poorly designed)
Catbus (Resting on DE)
Metal Gear Rex
Protoss Probe
Snake in a box
Very nearly, but not quite finished cypher from MGS2 (Still need to do the gun)

Another picture in next post

well it's not golden >.<

There's a picture of it completed that the creator made somewhere in /po/, probably about 3 pages away.

>> Anonymous
>>70156

How easy or difficult is the M41-A Pulse Rifle? It's so big it almost seems overwhelming.
>> Anonymous
>>70350
Big often means easy. It's small papercrafts that are difficult. Big just means a lot of work. The difficult part is getting yourself to finish it if you're not a very patient person.
>> Anonymous
>>70350

It's not really all that hard of a papercraft. It just has alot of fiddly little parts and is very tedious, and if your not careful when closing up the larger peices it can turn out twisted and just not looking very good, but is A very well designed papercraft. He is releasing the rifle from terminator pretty soon at 1:1 scale also.
>> Anonymous
>>70351
Haha, not in this case. Took me weeks to make that M41A, loooads of little bits and things.

>>70350
I'd say you should only make it if you've done a few complex ones in the past. 8/10 difficulty, 10 being pretty much impossible and 1 being a cube or something.
>> Anonymous
It kinda depends on your skills how difficult you will find a certain papercraft. It may have taken you weeks because you found it difficult to make the small parts, but another person (even one that hasn't done any papercrafts before) may find a simple technique to make those.
>> Anonymous
>>70357

I suppose.

But there are hundreds of parts, which take ages to put together, even without the time taken to make the small pieces. But like >>7052 said, even if you can make each piece quickly, it will still take a long time to do, as you'll get bored quickly, and you need a lot of patience to complete it.
>> Anonymous
>>70360But like >>7052 said, even if you can make each piece quickly, it will still take a long time to do, as you'll get bored quickly, and you need a lot of patience to complete it.
That's more what I said in>>70351, not what you said in>>70352;)
>> Anonymous
>>70363

Ah, I meant 70351, I even mistyped 70352 (Which wasn't me btw). But yeah. You're right :]
>> Anonymous
Let's just agree that difficulty ratings from others doesn't tell us anything since our skills are not their skills.
I've seen noobs building very complex papercrafts that come out looking absolutely perfect, and I've seen people that have done this for years building simple papercrafts that still look like shit.

I agree it's far more important how patient you are, than how many parts a papercraft has or how big the parts are.

Well it's just a psp camera, which is terrible in artificial light (OP btw)

But now I installed the eyetoy drivers so I can use that as a camera, which is a lot better. My pictures should be better quality from now on. nice collection btw.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
>>71429
Here you are. I even made that one myself. Okay, of course it was simple but there HAD to be some kind of DooM papercraft.

>>71431
The eyetoy camera? Somehow I doubt that this will improve the quality that much.

Anyway, a highres picture of the Pulse Rifle would be really cool.

Mostly easy boxy ones and some incomplete.

I did have more but they got squished 'accidently'. Don't let kids play with your papercrafts, folks.
>> naru wuves his veny
yes never let children play with pepakura, i learned that the hard way with the first one i made, it was the sasuke standie one. verry little instructions, and the ones i had were in japanese so i just threw em away(took me bout 1 1/2 hours to figure it out) but thats when i learned how fun pepakura is some times
but the morel of hte story is to never under any circumstances let childern play with pepakura, unless u really dont care if they gets killed!

You're right. It has been a long time. And my collection has nearly doubled since the last.

Here's the top row. Listing from left to right, back to front:

Spiral Dragon, Pac-Man, Goomba, Grim, Goblin, Dragon, Mudkip, Pencil Bird, Dratini, SGT. Frog (he fell over), Hako GIR, (he got turned to the side when frog fell over), catmilk cartons, Toad, Charmander, Prince, Batman, Robin, Spiderman, Luigi, two Marios, Maple Story mushroom pig and slime, Sanji, and a girl from Mizrui's models.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Here's the 2nd shelf, it has Moot, Porygon 2, Pyramid Head, Thomas the Tank, that cat, Light, Salad Fingers, Hubert Cumberdale, and an easter chick.

I am ashamed of every model on the bottom row, so I won't show them up close. However, they are Sakura, Chikage, Belldandy, an umbrella that was supposed to go with the girl at the far right on the top shelf, and the Kitsune mask.

Also don't mind the cokereward boxtops.
>> Anonymous
>>71706
Haha, funny. I completely forgot about emorock, and he's behind Mootcat in the picture crying his eyes out.
>> Anonymous
>>71703
why u got 2 marios?
>> Anonymous
>>71708
Because back when I started papercrafting I was failing everything I was doing. Then I made Mario and did it right. So I made another one thinking that I would make a whole bunch of em. Then I made Luigi and the Batman and Robin Hakos and worked up from there.

That thing was hard. I papercraft really slow (20 minute papercrafts can take me an hour) because I watch TV at the same time, but the Spiral Dragon took me about two weeks.

Also, how do you stop watching Death Note before the main character is introduced? ;)

Cool, I was thinking of making it, but I hate doing papercrafts with no instructions, takes too long to figure out where everything goes. I just like to know where everything foes straight away.

No, and no.

The first one was a picture of my progress while working on the templates, not the actual templates.

The second one was a Goblin made by someone else.

I never released the Goblin because it really is a bad model. I might release it one day if I feel like giving garbage to /po/.
