Hey guys, I was considering getting into Papercrafts and stuff, and I was wondering if there was any specific type of paper that works best. Are there any brand names that work better than others, or is it just nondescript paper?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

this is why /po/ needs a sticky

Go with a pack of 80-120lb Cardstock

i use just regular printer paper for the ones i dont really like and thicker paper for the ones i like alot but regular paper kinda sucks because it gets floppy easily

Cardstock usually comes as 8.5 x 11 inches so yes it will fit and it will run through smoothly!

Most office supply stores sell 110# paper by the ream (250 sheets per ream). It will work in any printer, although for some printers you may need to change some settings. You may have probolems with paper heavier than thatif your printer is small and.or old.

Wow, that's really well made. I'd like to make one myself and put it up somewhere so ppl think it's a real one.

I bought 500 sheets of 35lb. paper at Staples for $18 for doing papercrafts. It's not too thick but still rather sturdy. I made that big chinese dragon (the file for which I don't have on this compy) out of it and it's not collapsing any time soon!

here's the one I used when I got started, I found on this site:

On the topic of noobishness, what do you guys recommend for sticking? The few glues I've tried made the paper hard, brittle and flaky.

white pva glue/Elmer's glue/wood glue
but what kind of glue have you been using up till now? the way you tell it, it sounds a little like the paper soaks up all the glue; it shouldn't; might be the paper, might be the glue.
