I got into papercraft through this board a few weeks ago. This is a post to thank you guys for the wonderful resource that is /po/ and I wanted to show you what I (with the help of some friends) achieved recently. I noticed one of the pics in another Pyramid Head thread, but here they all are.
You should seek professional help.
>>24490that's not true. if he was a girl i would harass her... a papercraft girl, yay <3
...holy moley.that's so AWESOME!
>>24483l-l-lol!This wins many things. An internet may be one, but also my love.
Awesome. Photo a human standing next to one for size comparision pls :D
You can see my feet behind him.I had to hold him up for this photo cos he'd been out at an anime convention all week where people were pushing and shoving and poking him, so he's damaged now and doesn't stand by himself anymore. Also note the door to the left of him for further size comparison, and on page 2 or 3 of this board now is a photo showing the prince head next to pyramid head.
How many printer cartridges did you go through?
What did you have to do to reinforce this thing? I imagine it was only one step away from a steel frame =/
hmm... i should make a 1.2 meter Rozen Maiden..
...we should all make giant papercraft houses.IT COULD SOLVE THE HOMELESSNESS PROBLEM!(laminate the paper, of course).
0 printer cartridges, it was a big laser printer from family workplace, cost about 0.14 AUD per colour sheet.Reinforced by backing every sheet with cardboard roughly 2mm thick. Also lots and lots of glue and sticky tape where it's not seen...
HEY SA FAG!
bravo at that giant papercraft o_o
We are in tears at the size of this.
Bah, you did all that work on the Prince and put his body on backwards?? The folded part is supposed to go in the back so you don't see it!
>>24493There's quite a few of us girls here on /po/Chamoo is a girl, and she's probably made the most original papercraft's that have been on here.
Loving it. This board has got me really interested in Papercraft too. Used to do some simple origmai before
I noticed that after I took the photo, but these photos were taken with me holding it together after it had been dismantled. For the weekend where it sat together at the con, it was correctly assembled.
OMG i saw that at animania 06 and wanted to give creator many many kudos that thing is awsome!and yes many ppl were poking etc really f#@king stupid ppl
>>24594she's probably made the most original papercraft's that have been on here. That's why I am saying that; it could be a replacement for sexyness, if she hadn't one
it's...beautiful
>>24594Agreed completely.
this is pretty much like, what, a /po/ MEME in coolness.neat that it was at a con! :D (hope it wasn't 'poked' toooo much, it's so pretty!)
Fail for 8x11not being printed on a plotter was a huge mistake
>>25081You have sparked my interests.. Where would I go to find this 'Plotter'?kinkos?
Kinko's, Staples, Office Max... if you go to college, IT departments sometimes do oversized prints as well.If you have a friend who's an architect, they may have access to one.
Yeah um I think it's a pretty good job actually considering it's all done off a home printer, no need for using any of the expensive kinkos stuff.
I'm thinking about doing this, but with Link... since it's cel-shaded, it seems to me that it wouldn't be too hard to actually paint it so that the colors are nice and solid. What think you, /p/?
I totally meant /po/. Really.
>>25113Now time to find a way to make 'semi- indestructible paper'...
>>25110Quite possible yes. I'm graphic design student at college right now and we have a 48" wide plotter that would have come it really handy for printing something like this.
you use sheet steel... and a welding machine...I'm planning on using papekura to make a life sized cow and stick it in our front yard.... or a full sized cloud made out of steel... This is actually why papercraft is so interesting to me. If ya can make a template, you can make it life sized and out of steel.
