Seconded. Why the hell can't we have a closed sticky with all the basics?

HEY, MODS, I'M TALKING TO YOU.

threads get deleted, and new people won't have read them

we had a sticky at first, but it got deleted
a sticky could help (although 80% wouldn't read the sticky anyway and still open up a new thread; c'mon, you know how 4Chan works!)
but most importantly: what's the correct answer to put in the sticky? use 160 gsm paper? "no, you should use 200 gsm!" "wtf? regular paper works fine and is cheaper!" "you should use hot glue!" "you should use Elmer's!" "you should use power glue!"

My advice: use what works best for you, not what works best for other people. You now found out that UHU sticks are shit: try something else and see if it works better. If it does the job: you'll have found the glue you should use.

super-glue would be awesome right? i mean, it adheres and dries instantly!

Thirded

It's quite sticky even when wet to make it easy to get things in place. It doesn't dry so fast that it's easy to mess things up or so slow you need to spend too long waiting. It's thick enough that it stays where you spread it.

/po/ doesn't want glue that dries instantly, we want 1-2 seconds so we can move it a little, THEN it should stick. ;)

Someone could put a basic writeup on what various people say is useful for papercraft purposes. It wouldn't stop people from asking, but it would allow us to just point them in the direction of the pages instead of having to explain this over and over again. It seemed to work rather well with plus4chan.org before its one year contract was up.

I use UHU glue but the liquid version. It glues solidly and quick! AND, as Anonymous said, it gives you a couple moments to move the parts into better shape if it's needed.
Bad thing is the "hot cheese factor" when the glue leaves those strings behind that WILL attach to everything like a spider web... Yopu need to take care about that.
Just a tip: If you're in a cold place this glue might take too long to dry... Just keep a hairdrier or some sort of heating next to you and hold the pieces together for 5 secs... PRONTO!

For me there is no need to spend big bucks on a fancy glue if the one used on every office is good as well.

I have been using Scotch brand scrapbooker's glue. it works pretty well for me. and holds well. supposed to not turn that ugly brown color some glues do lol
