red yoshi models harpnbass
Anyone know if Red Yoshi released his toad, yoshi and other smb models? They're on his blog with pics but no links.
>> GoblinGuy
He released the Wario in an auto-unfold Pepakura form. I don't seem to have it anymore, though. It was pretty bad, anyway.

Pieces that aren't impossible to build. The Wario wasn't impossible, but it was way more trouble than it was worth.

So, as a Mac user, can I conceivably draw by hand and create a model w/o using a computer save for color and textures?
>> GoblinGuy
>>138679
A lot of people make papercraft designs by free-drawing them by hand. It's really fun, though it can be hard at times.

have good spacial reasoning skills. really, that's all there is to it; if you can unfold it in your mind, you're halfway there. this is how I did the toilet and the portal cake (though billybob did damn near the same model and released first, curse him!)

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

You're right, we need a good toadie model ... any takers?

It really just comes down to familiarizing yourself with how paper can be folded into certain shapes. Process usually goes like this

1) Think of part you want to make
2) Think of how to draw it (this usually ends with an a-ha! revelation, even for parts that might not work)
3) Draw it
4) Assemble it
5) If it works, hooray! If not, repeat step 2

I have contacted RedYoshi about these papercrafts, and unfortunatly, he got them deleted from his computer.
However, I did get another awesome papercraft from him, which I'm building now: Epona from Ocarina of Time. He told me that I could share this model at any time.

The reason why I won't share it yet is simple: While building, I noticed the textures still need some work before I will let other people waste their ink on it. For now, some parts just look a bit too rough.

Expect to see it soon on my papercraft blog though. Thanks RedYoshi :D

I will post the model (Epona from Ocarina of Time) soon. I'm near finishing the papercraft myself, so I can make a picture of it and add it with the post
