Beginning :p Pepa Craft
Um, yes, Using SketchUp, are you able to use those materials as textures? If so how is it done?
I also don't know how to go from a .pdo file to a .pdf lol
Made some stuff, but don't know how to apply textures or make them into a .pdf
They're not going to be really extravagant lol, remember they're models that I made while trying to learn the program lol
Any people out there with ideas of starting models that could do that have not yet been created?
On another note, does/has any one else want to try to make this shape? I've made it, can show pics if needed as well

iirc, yes on the materials.
automagic.
pdo-pdf, get a PDF printer driver, and print to that pdf printer, i use PrimoPDF.
When exporting from SU make sure you selected some relevant options in the export screen.

Nicely Done! Using different coloured pieces of paper helps a LOT. It is possible the other way too, but it looks nicer when its done with the actual colours

Did you make that one in your picture? Cause that is the exact same color scheme/paper I used and those walls and surface match a room I lived in for several years, during which period I made mine.

But I never photographed it. Are you me?

Not origami paper. Colored printer paper from Sam's club. Brights color pack. (or, atleast, thats where I got mine)

As for the wall and surface, generic college wall and furniture.

Katherine Carmichael would be proud.

Also I could be insane.

My failure of an Attempt. Any suggestions for it to come out better?

how big is the square/ strip you use?
>> Tumbo
5 cms by 15 cms

It's best to do one tetrahedron at a time, as in the instructions from the site, but when u do that, its best to feed the 'sticks' one at a time. After that, the tabs need to be stuck together, it really is a tight fit, but u still did a great job, took me a few hours :p

When i print to pdf, its still grey, but when i print normally, the colours come out
on pepakura, they are also grey, any ideas people?

Use more rigid paper.

Is that painted aluminium foil? If so, how well does that hold up, compared to cardstock? And what kind of glue do you use to hold it together?

Or is it just metallic paper?
>> Tumbo
>>44546
It's like shiny origami paper (first time doing origami/papercraft) It easily bends exactly why im going to do another with a harder paper.

If you look at instructions from
>>43805no glue is necessary the way the folds are made they fit together and stay together fairly well. (just a pain to get them together)

What im curious is what paper>>43828and>>43999used and exactly how much is cardstock
