Origami Lily Anonymous
Anyone know how to make a real life looking lily. Not like the one in the picture, but I want it to look real so I can put it in a case and give it to someone special =) Anyone have any idea?

Sorry... the only decent looking origami lily I ever saw involved heavy cutting and the use of floral supplies to make parts of it. I'll see if I can find it; I believe the book title was "Origami Flowers: Blossoms and Bouquets"

I was close.
"Origami Flowers: Popular Blossoms and Creative Boquets"

The cover makes you go "Wow, great looking flowers!"... but then you open it, and see how much of a royal pain ANYTHING in the book is to make, and you put it back on the shelf. Let me try to find a lily picture from it.

Found their homepage.

The lily, if I remember (since I wanted to make one) was with 6-sided paper, and the pistil/stamen were made with floral wire and floral tape.

Thank you for showing me the pictures. Much appreciated. Can anyone show me briefly how it is done?

If I see that MYSQL error one more time...

Try the Digrams page on the link in>>96896

Eh, here it is again. http://homepage3.nifty.com/origamiflower/top.html

They show how to make 6 sided paper, and a few flowers that use it; you may be able to fudge a lily... or find a flower there that's just as nice.
