/po/ - I hope that this isn't out of the realm that you deal with...

What is the best way to define the boobs (small Bs) when making a paper-tape mannequin?

i.e. what taping strategy/directions would you give me to try to define what little I have to work with?

This girl is has similar cup size, but I'm thinner.

why not just stick the building material of a bra that's been attached to the mold?

Do you mean 'stick the pre-stuffed bra to the outside'?

I appreciate the suggestion, but if that is the case, I want to do it as close to reality as possible - not some deformed model with breast holes cut out with horrible transistions between tape and boob-substitute.

Do you understand what I'm getting at? I'd like to do it all with the tape.

From what I've read - small strips in an 'x' pattern is best. But when you haven't got lots to 'cup under' then the 'x' pattern is harder than you'd imagine.

OP here - sorry for the bump, I thought I'd explain...

The 'mold' is made by applying strips of tape to the body and then cutting it off. I just don't want to end up with some mal-formed bossoms that don't represent what they really look like.

i'm not quite sure wtf i was suggesting with that word choice.

I'll rephrase: Why not just place a bra on there as if it were a person. Then fill the bra with something fairly innocuous, such as kleenex or something. Then place tape over the bra until satisfactory result appears.

the best way that i can think of is using paper mache(spelling?)

you could always ask jeeves or google it.
or ask the library for a book on it. (i tried googoleing it but im not sure what exactly your lookign for sorry )
