i use regular paper and everything comes out just fine. isn't the easiest to fold the tiny little tabs, but other than that. works well

Regular paper is better than you might think. It's surprisingly durable when used in small models, but you should avoid it when building a model over about 6 inches.

It's also a little easier to work with. More malleable, if you will. And you never have to score folds with regular paper. So for quickie projects, especially one-pagers, there's nothing wrong with regular paper.
