wood glue
apply a TINY amount to one paper surface, apply pressure, and you have a very strong glue in about 3 seconds.

You can tell the newdykes from the /po/opers. PVA is the correct 1st world answer, primarily Elmer's Glue-All and Aileene's Tacky glue. 3rd world nations use UHU. Cyanocrylate is used only for major load bearing parts, repairing newdyke fuckups, and tiny parts that would drown in PVA.
>> Jen
The original use for super glue was to close the gaping wounds of soldiers faster than stitches. If asking what glue others like to use on papercraft is like a freshly carved wound, is it still possible to close the wound with super glue?

>>161638
PVA for the win.

I use superglue for contact jobs or if there's a weak joint on a model. But yes, PVA is teh win.

I love wood glue. I had some cheap ass white glue that was a bitch to use with my cardstock. I dug the wood glue out and it works really well for me.

No... not if you only use a little bit. and it's pretty miscible with water, so you can water it down if you wanted, but you wouldn't want to cause that'd make your tabs wet and not very sticky

Superglue. It's neat, quick, and only retards get stuck to their work.
The only downside is that you have to make sure pieces and flaps are positioned right first time, every time.

The glue used by the morons of the INSTANT GRATIFICATION Generation, and why most of the build pics posted on /po/ are fucking crap.

Don't buy that commercial crap, get modeler's CA. If the fumes bother you you can get some that doesn't. The commercial grad shit has additives that slow down the CA and it's over priced. The modeler's version will dry quicker, but it also means it dries on you instantly too.

Scotch Scrapbooker's glue with 2 way applicator,
fine tip on one side, sponge applicator on the other.
>> Jen
>>162618
I used a whole tube of that last semester for a final project. I had 2x3 feet pinhole camera pictures and I used that to mount them because they don't make the heat-activated adhesive papers that large. Then again, they don't make most heat presses that large, so I would have been using a tacking iron anyway.
The glue works rather well, and it's acid-free, so it won't yellow or weaken over time.

>>162449
What is modeler's CA? I don't recognize that term. It sounds like something I would use for sculptures if it's as strong as it sounds like it is.

This is tacky glue I normally use for all my papercraft. The trouble is the nozzle keeps getting clogged so I have resort to using cocktail sticks and carved lolly pop holders. Generally PVA is best glue to use, heard there is clear contact glue for acetate don't know which brand.

I used "Elmer's Rubber Cement" And apply it by getting a sewing needle, and dipping it in, and smearing it over the fold, and applying light pressure for a few seconds.

Beacon's 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue
Pros:
- Sets extremely fast (within 3-5 seconds)
- Strong Hold
- Great for tabs 1/4" to 1/2" in length

Cons:
- Unforgiving; too fast, too strong, so it's hard to move pieces around once they are joined together
- Stringy; one reason why I use only for smaller tabs, larger blobs produce annoying 'strings' after dispensing out of nozzle
- Smelly
- Glue crap all over fingers requires rigorous washing (almost need orange scrub stuff)
- Pricey ($6 bottle)

Note: I dispense this directly from the nozzle to the pieces I'm gluing; it helps reduce stringiness and saves a little bit of time before glue 'sets'.

Office Depot Glue Pen
Pros:
- Great for tabs over 1/2" in length
- Forgiving; able to shift pieces easily before glue sets
- Cheap (2 Pack less than $3)

Cons:
- Watery; may warp cardstock pieces if too much used
- Set time takes long (5-15 seconds while pressing together)
- Not great on tabs less than 1/2" in length; pieces don't seem to join at smaller lengths

Note: I dispense a blob of the office depot glue onto a spare piece of card stock, then I use a toothpick to pick up the glue to apply to the various pieces.

Hey, I use that stuff. But now I just use elmers because the craft glue was too messy and it bubbled up at the tip after I used it. It is pretty strong but I disagree about the drying time though. It isn't superglue fast or strong.

For paper? Elmers. Sometimes for clear circles I squeeze a few drops of Testor's model glue into water - it floats and forms a lens shape if you do it right. Takes a few hours to dry though. Only reason I thought of that was because of the OP image though.

Elmer's Glue-All
multi purpose glue
>> Anonymous
Sometimes PVA doesn't work because the parts keep falling off. I had trouble with chocobo's legs, I tried using UHU all purpose adhesive and this didn't work in the end I used cocktail sticks to hold the legs into place.
Alternative woould be something like Glossy Accents or Anita's £-D clear gloss finish.
