Hi guys. I'm starting off at creating models using Pepakura designer. I need to know, which is better?

sketchup is perfect if you are a total noob to 3d modeling, but to conver to a usable format, you must get the full version. Plus, after unfolding, it looks a little wierd. I haven't messed around with blender too much, but I'm guessing that it is harder to use.

the low poly modeling in 3ds max 7 works really well, and my models translated well

I like metasequoia LE , it's simple and fast and free. The automatic unify close vertex and unify faces are usefull to papercraft.

Pepakura dessigner have native import to .mqo metasequoia format file and works fine.

Microstation, aUtocad or catia work best, and are cheap too

you don't need the full version of sketchup to save to a usable file format... just export to google earth 4(.kmz)
