I haven't test built, and I'm sure the tabs need work, but it's mostly usable.

Yeah, the tabs need work. A lot of work. There's so many red lines. :(

Also, what's with that stray part?
>> Moony
it's a weird part I couldn't get rid of in metasquoia without deleting the entire inside texture. I guess it's what keeps it in proper place on the game model's head. Metasequoia was also non-cooperative with joining the faces into a single entity, which is why there's all those red lines...

I DID have all the tabs worked out, but it crashed when I tried to save, and I'm too frustrated with pepakura to do it again just now.
>> Anonymous
>>77930
just wondering. did you remove the part in the center that would prevent you from putting it on your head if full size, or is that the part you were talking about?
>> Moony
>>77948
that's the part I was talking about. Whenever I tried removing it in metasequoia, it deleted part of the interior texture, and pepakura wouldn't let me delete the part, so I put it off where it wouldn't print.
>> Anonymous
>>77930
Actually it's the other wat around: Metasequoia can only join triangles to a four point polygon when the triangles are properly connected. And they're not. That's why the red lines in Metasequoia are there. The best thing to do is to re-do the helmet manually, and this time don't forget to hold down the CTRL key when you're selecting vertices, otherwise you won't select the exact points.

So, I think I've got it all fixed. It should even be about life size. Lacking a printer, could I get a test build at all?

and here's the pdo

>> Anonymous
do you want any other things from zelda?
>> Anonymous
>>78719
cause I can get the 3D models for you.
>> Anonymous
>>78720
Is there a Sheik papercraft yet? Because that would be pretty awesome.
>> Anonymous
>>78722
I'll see if I can do anything with Smash Bros. Melee to get the 3D model from there.
>> Anonymous
>>78724
but until that downloads, (almost)anything from twilight princess?
>> Anonymous
>>78726
or WW
>> Anonymous
>>78726
How about the 4 light gods? That would make a pretty cool scene.

Thanks for doing all this, man
>> Anonymous
>>78728
OK I'll go looking(there are a lot of files) I did find them once, but I forget which file they were in :P

Shouldn't take me too long though
>> Anonymous
>>78726
>>78727
Just to let you know, I can get stages as well(areas)
>> Moony
I think I have all the rips from TP, I could use some more WW ones, specifically the girl, since there's great desire for a good model of her. And I eagerly await sheik!

In the meantime, i'm fiddling with poser so I can get the full midna one exported in a decent pose. And if anyone has the fixed texture for the hair, that'd make my job easier
>> Anonymous
>>78742
All the models huh? You probably downloaded that pack of models that is available. amirite?
>> Anonymous
>>78742
You mean Tetra right? I already uploaded a 3D model of her. a quick search on rapidshearch for tetra and you've got it.
>> Moony
>>78746

Yeah, I got the pack, though on closer inspection, it does not have the light gods. If someone could find those, that'd be great. I'm going to keep working on the others.
>> Anonymous
>>78730
And just in case you're thinking that there are too many polys for the stages to work in pepakura, the newest version can handle more than 5000 polys.
>> Anonymous
Hey, you know who would be pretty cool? That guy who sold the lantern oil, with the afro.
>> Anonymous
>>78749
Yeah I'm looking, I'm looking. I actually rip the models from the game myself(including their animation files[this lets me put them in any pose that they naturally assume in the game before extracting to a usable format])
>> Anonymous

lucky you

how about those twilight monsters you fight in the ring?
>> Anonymous

I\'ll add it to my list

thnx
>> Moony
okay, trying to line up the ripped models with a skeleton is insanely frustrating, so would it be possible for anon to link to the program and instructions he uses for ripping, posing, and exporting?
>> Anonymous
>>78794
I don't mean to sound rude, but google it. That's what I had to do and is easier than me trying to write something up.

Some things to search for:
szstools
GC-tool
BMDview2

that is all the help I can provide other than the fact that you need an image of a gamecube game
THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR ALL GAMECUBE GAMES!!!
>> Anonymous
>>78806
Oh! And there are more than 1000 files to go through for TP. Have fun.
>> Anonymous
Does anyone know what the light gods names are? It would really help in the search for them.
>> Moony
>>78811
Ordona, Faron, Eldin, and Lanayru
>> Anonymous
>>78816
Thanks. I should have known that.:P
>> Anonymous
Then, copy "yaz0dec.exe" and "rarcdump.exe" into the "data" and "data/scene" subdirs of your supermariosunshine.gcm_dir. In these directories, run
> for %i in (*.szs) do yaz0dec "%i"
> for %i in (*.rarc) do rarcdump "%i"
to first unpack all szs files and then extract them from the .rarc files (the above commands work with WinXP cmd.exe, for Win98 you may have to modify the syntax).

Could someone tell me what this meas in lamens terms.(what do I type into cmd.exe?)

>>78823
I've been doing this one file at a time, but I think that this is how to do them all at once. So any help is appreciated.

anyone please. I only have internet for another hour then I lose it for about a week.

someone was asking for a ganon before(in the beast form not ganondorf) and I just found it.

hueg picture is hueg.
Good job so far. Do you have a painted loli to put it on when you are finished?
>> Anonymous
>>78838
put it on something the size of your head to show us if it would fit or not(like your head)
I know you don't have the part that actually goes on the head done yet, but it would help to show us if it is full sized.
>> Anonymous
this is the guy who was uploading the zelda models.

I will not have internet for a while, but i will still be ripping the models from the games. Smash bros. has finished downloading and I will start trying to rip it later.
>> Anonymous
>>78845
Thanks man! I hope you get internet back soon.
>> Anonymous
hey guys, how are you doing this (ripping models from gamecube games)? I want to rip crystal chronicles models...

It does not fit on the head.

I'm almost done though, so far the tabs have worked really well. I havn't glued them together but heres what it looks like
>> Moony
>>78904

I'm glad it's turning out okay, if small. Also, apparently pepakura lies when you put in how big you want the finished product to be. Or maybe I'm just dumb and estimated the final height wrong.
>> dreamofanotaku
>>78923
it doesn't seem to be a height problem it's just not big enough around. my head is 22in around, it's only 15in in the inside at the bottom.
>> Anonymous
PLEASE RESIZE YOUR PICTURES BEFORE YOU POST THEM THEY ARE TOO HUEG!!
>> Anonymous
I have managed to get to a computer only to bring you bad news. As of yet, it is impossible to rip the models from Smash Bros. Melee. I am sorry. I also wanted a Sheik papercraft to be made. Again sorry.
>> Moony
>>78951
In that case, algebra tells me that pepakura needs to be told it's 45-50cm tall before unfolding. y'all have fun with that.
>> dreamofanotaku
On the last page, what does "Full interior (for display, not use)" mean? That, if it's for display, don't use those parts, or if it's for use (wearing) don't use those parts?
