Ok, im just going to clear this up. And yes, i have lurked.

Ok. I have been paper'ing for while, and its alot of fun. However, everything that i think is awesome isn't out here, so i've decided to start making some of them myself. What programs can be used to make models from scratch, what programs can be used to rip models from other things, and what programs can be used to change the models to be viewable in pep?

Thanks in advance!

Pepakura Designer is software for unfolding 3D model and does not have functions to make original 3D data. You have to design 3D model data with other CG software. Pepakura Designer can load several file formats listed below:

* Hexa Great (*.6kt, *.6ks)
* Wavefront (*.obj)
* AutoCAD (*.dxf)
* Metasequoia (*.mqo)
* 3D Studio (*.3ds)
* Lightwave (*.lwo)
* STL (Binary format) (*.stl)
* Google Earth (*.kmz, *.kml)

There are some free 3D CG software that can generate supported file formats. You may use oen of them such as blender, google SketchUp and MetasequoiaLE.
