Moving Gun? Anonymous
Okay /po/, I've got a problem for you.

I'm trying to make the model of Alucard's Cassul from Hellsing move, ala the Gungrave Gun.

Because this one is so much smaller in the space between trigger and top-piece, I can't seem to get the trigger mechanism to rotate far enough to pull the top back as far as I'd like. Any tips?

trigger furthest back. Notice the position of the lever at the top. It barely moves 45 degrees.

Gungrave Gun. The space between trigger and top is a lot larger, so this type of lever mechanism pulls the top back a long way.

Okay, I've estimated that it'll move the top bit 15-20mm, so I'm going to try it anyway, even as just a learning experience. Will post back with completed thing later.

Whoa. Damn, that looks awesome, man.
You wouldn't have the schematic for that on hand, would you?

rapidsearch is your friend, as always.

Search "Gungrave Advanced Gun". It should come up. Don't try making this with normal printer paper, though. It doesn't hold well.

There should be a sticky telling people to use rapidsearch, and to lurk moar.

Still no advice on the gun problem?

Look at the fucking thread.
He's still designing it. People like you are the reason that we lose modelers. "OMG WHETRES TEH FUCKIGN TEMPLATE BITCH!?" is not an acceptable way to ask for something. And before asking, read.

No, there is a Cassul. He's just REDESIGNING it to move.

No one's asked for the Cassul template, gb2/b/ if you can't read.

precisely. (though the original's got quite a lot of problems.)

With the Casul's (one s) lack of height, couldn't you use a double-linkage to increase the distance it moves back? It'd be more compex, but it'd work.

OP here, update.

Got the gun built, got the trigger mechanism working stably, like it's shown above. Now I just need to get a rubber band, so I can finish the mechanism and seal it up.

bump for the moving one's not finished yet. For the non-moving one, go to rapidsearch and look for "gungrave advanced gun"

Recommended Paper Weight???

Looks like the Handle & trigger mechanism are made out of plastic cards... thinking the only thing that could support a rubber band like that.

Also... What glue is good for a project like this? :3
