So I've basically just been lurking the /po/ board for the past 2 weeks, making crafts and what not. I've gotten pretty decent at it and I was just wanting to try to make my own models

I've searched around and can't find any real "tutorials" on how to use Pepakura Designer. Please help, and also I was wondering about how to extract models from PC games, I can't seem to figure it out >.>
Thanks in advance

The problem is that Pepakura Designer is very low-powered. You need to feed it very simple results, or the models will be very hard to build. The skill is all in simplifying the ripped models you get from the games before sending them into Pepakura.

As for ripping from games, there's no universal area. PC games have a boatload of different ways of storing their data; not every game has even had users figure out how to extract the data. The same goes for consoles.

Your best bet would be to pick a game, then find forums where folks are discussing how to extract the data from that particular game... after a while, the programs you collect will start to open games that use the same encryption.

There is no "magic key" that opens everything :(

Pepakura designer uses what to generate 3d models?
Can you simple use a 3d engine to create a 3d model and send it in?

Download Pepakura Designer -- open its help file.

It will LIST the file types that you can IMPORT into it to make into papercraft.

Usually companies list stuff like that on their site too, so you can determine if the program is what you're looking for BEFORE you have to download it:
