Terminal Core Anonymous
THIS was found on a funky japanese site whose address I don't have. Does anybody have the template? Does anybody care to share it?

Will takkun get the love it deserves?

looks cool

If we don't have a Kanchi, we should definitely have ourselves some Terminal Cores.

sage goes in the email field...

Yeah this would be nice to have, and it looks fairly simple too, so here's a minor bump.
>> Anonymous
WANT. BUMP THIS TO WIN.
>> VonJimmy
Must have terminal core!
>> Anonymous
looks like a simple build really...

I can't wait for this to come around. I did a rough 3d model, much to do on it. If there is interest I will post finshed papercraft here.
>> Anonymous
I'm more than interested to see your rendition of the terminal core papercraft. Your 3-D model is looking quite good, except the "original" one have thin legs, which (I think) would make your papercraft-making simpler.

So chalk up one for "definite interest."

I wanted to make mine slightly a bit more complex than the OP. I have already taken this over to pepakura and it unfolds quite nicely. I just need to clean it up a bit and recolor.
>> Anonymous
this is going be awesome.
>> Anonymous
Okay /po/, I have the 3d model worked out but I wanna know what you guys want.
Do you want a more complex, larger takkun with details (like a convex lens/eye with surround and a real gap for the 'teeth'), or a simplistic small one with printed details like in OP?
>> VonJimmy
Thats a hard one... is there any way to have both?
>> Anonymous
I prefer detailed.
>> Anonymous
If it's not too hard for you, can you give us a rough "sketch" or "sample" of what the two versions may look like? I'm not saying they have to be completed models; I'm more interested in seeing what the templates might look like. A separable mouth and curved lens are both nice additions, but the simple version looks like it can be made with only six sides, like a box, and that would be pretty sweet also. I want to make a terminal core farm!

agree'd
terminal core farm = win

Bump for the detailed version!

Are those eyebrows?? Haha, I have packs of dried seaweed in my room, so I've no need for them, but it's still a nice contribution. Anyway, my dream for a Terminal Core Farm shall be realized (I hope)!

simplistic would be great

Yeah, I like to vary between realistic papercrafts and more simplistic ones!
>> Anonymous
bumpage, because i really want to see this delivered.

Okay here's the beta build of the simple version. As you can see, I screwed up the ears (they don't line up across the top of the head). There are a couple of minor tweaks I need to make, add some more details (paint-wise). Should be able to post the template tomorrow. Watch this space!

takkun?
>> Anonymous
Is that the original version?!?! It surely appears to be, although the colors on the image are more orange/yellow and less "muddy" than that of the template you posted, but that's something photoshop can fix easily! Thanks a lot!

And more thanks goes to anonymous for creating his own rendition of the terminal core. It's also quite adorable and now I'm hoping to see the "detailed" version.

<3 thanks once again

>>39887
This is truly awesome. You sir, are a god. I have already made 2 of them.

>>39960
@__@; its pretty striaght forward.... just cut it out and fold it as you see it on the finished pic....
>> Anonymous
Furikuri ftw

>>40006
He wasn't talking about the template for Terminal Core, he was talking about the "eyebrow templates" in>>39617. There's no finished picture of that.
The confusion is because of the three what appear to be gluing tabs, while the "template" seems to be 2D: I think you're supposed to fold on the middle line, and then glue the textured front back-to-back onto the untextured back.
1: tabs aren't needed
2: glueing back-to-back isn't needed
Conclusion: just cut out the black parts and glue them wherever you like, just not on your Terminal Core papercraft.

(PS:>>39887much better than a more detailed version; papercrafts like this should remain this simple to preserve their awesomeness)
>> Anonymous
there was a nicer tatchicoma model on there also, could someone list the site?

HEHU!

OP here. Wants to thank you for the complete win that this thread has become.

DELIVERY, goddamnit. Internets are won.

And also bump for greatness.
