Hay /po/lice, sorry to be off topic here with a mechanical metal clock in a papercraft and origami board but I figured that the most craftspeople were here.Anyways, I'm wanting to replace the back of my alarm clock to something clear so I can see the cogs going, any recommendations in terms of durability and/or clarity?
i would use some plexiglass, its inexpensive and is durable and easy to cut

>>40746i also forgot to note that you can do things to the plexiglass if you want it to be translucent (ie: sandpaper)
silly putty

Go to Ace Hardware, ask for #" x #" piece of lexan, use some sort of round "mold" and HEAVILY score a circle with a boxcutter, break.*win*
