/po/ I has a problem.
I've been working on a fancy drawing for my girl's birthday this weekend, and I want to make it into a wallscroll.

Does anybody have any experience doing something like this? I was thinking maybe using Iron transfer sheets and printing it out rasterbate style.

pic sortof related.

a print shop (even an online one like mpix) can print onto cloth, then attach dowels for the supports?

Think Kinkos'd be able to do something like that?

This is the picture.

Drew it about a week ago when she was describing the "perfect one piece wall scroll".

with kinkos, I'd be worried about price for the quality... any universities nearby you could get it printed at (most schools with a graphic arts program have a print shop) or like I said, Mpix. Then again, you could just get it printed on heavier paper, and use pipes instead of dowels to weigh it down straight

Don't do Kinko's. You're better off doing this at a smaller print shop with more experienced employees.

that's not the perfect one piece wall scroll, because nami's not nekkid

Ick, print shops normally run 8-12 dollars a square foot. If you want it as a wallscroll, it'd cost you a fortune.

I can't think of any cheap ways to transfer it, short of redrawing it and painting it yourself on a large sheet of cloth...

This would be a better wallscroll.

Wouldn't that only be like 80 - 150 bucks? If my stoner math proves correct thats nothing to spend for a birthday.
