>> GoblinGuy
Related, Pixel-Kakashi completed the hard Morph Ball papercraft we have (can't provide, I'm on a different computer) but he never posted the finished picture of it.

So, PK, can I /r/ that picture now?

Those aren't the same models in the OP..The OP is the actual Ripped Metroid Prime Model. It's used in the Metroid Halo Mod.

The model and textures are on my PC somewhere

Well, I've found the model. It should be up whenever I get the chance to upload it (48 hours or so). As a note, There is a face behind the visor. I figure it'd be best to remove it for optimal use.

Stay tuned

I will look at the model and see what needs to be edited ...
>> n1nt3nd0fr33k
thanks for that model. do you guys know if theres any way to import it into 3ds max, or to convert it into max/obj/lwo/anything else?

this is also my question .... someone knows?
>> metroidprimegmr

Just wondering, but do you have the Prime 1 version? In case you didn't know, this one is the Prime 2/3 version.
I know /po/ can't afford to be picky, but still :P

>>146945
I'm sorry, I don't. How can you tell it's from Prime 2/3?
>> Anonymous
>>147004
well, the differences are kinda subtle, but in prime one there's a sort of triangle over the visor with a seam running from the point. 2/3 have the three lines starting at the top of the visor and running to the back. I didn't check the linked file, though.

Depends, if you want to make a good, fun to build papercraft: absolutely everything. Seriously. Much more than just the polycount. That's the least important thing. A smart papercraft design can be very high poly and yet very easy and fun to build.

Whatever happened to the chokipeta craft where polygons aren't an issue? Paper is curved not scored. Much less blocky. Much better looking than blocky models... Not that I don't build and like me some blocky ripped models from popular games... thanks for those of you who do this and that...

Those designers take more time designing their papercrafts than the average /po/rson.
>> GoblinGuy
>>147323
You can still do that with Pepakura, so long as the folds are mountain and not valley.
>> Anonymous
>>147483
You can curve valleyfolds just as good as mountainfolds. The thing is, that if the designer didn't mean for the folds to be scored rather than curved (meaning edited the 3D model in such a way) it won't do you any good: you still won't get a smooth look like>>147323means: you'll just have a polygonal look with less sharp edges.
>> Anonymous
>>147484you'll just have a polygonal look with less sharp edges
This is true, but many /po/eple apparantly believe in magic where you do one thing that's not really related to what you want done and then when you turn your back for a second it gets done magically and in buttons that do all the work for you so you don't have to think yourself.
Spoiler: if you want to do something epic, you need to invest some time.

This defines the difference between cardmodel engineering and pepakura crapouts..
