the mess is this + wcc's mess
>> bangaarrr!
Did you color in the hearts with a pink highlighter? Because that is exactly what I did with my first cube. I think I'm going to keep my second one in black and white, though.
>> Anudder weighted companion cube completed ^_^
yeah, lol, i colored the portals too, and i kinda messed up Dx
>> Anonymous
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
>> bangaarrr!
Gah, this is so tedious but I really want to finish it.

I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.

Delivered, yes?

Ian McConville of Threepanelsoul.com released a different template for the WCC.

Anyone know if it's better or worse?
>> IDTL
>>101255
Dunno, post it.
>> IDTL
>>101255
Actually, moony's is better, as it's easier.

Print this 4 times
>> Anonymous
http://threepanelsoul.com/images/rants/20071105_cube.zip

x1 at the end of the filename means print it once, x4 means print it 4 times.

>>101257

"better" is a relative term, I agree.

How about, does the end result look more like the WCC in the game?

Moony's is pretty good. Just wondering which is superior.
>> Anonymous
Well the pieces with the heart on them actually stick out on the one from Threepanelsoul, but one of them is also bigger than the others.

If you were planning to use it as a mask/helmet (like the guy who made it did) then it'd be fine, but otherwise I'd say Moony's is better.
>> IDTL
Well, I am going to do the impossible, I'm gonna make the WCC, with only one sheet of paper.
:O
>> Anonymous
>>101257
I'm building it, and I'm finding some parts really difficult.
How many sheets did you print the template on?
>> IDTL
>>101281
Two.
>> Anonymous
>>101323
I used just one...

One sheet. of PRINTER paper.
Done with elmer's glue and safety scissors.

I'm just curious, does anyone have a picture of the plush one someone did a few weeks back?
I understand this is papercraft....but still.
Also was there ever a template for the plush.
>> Anonymous
>>101336
It's still on the top 10 pages, I think.
>> Anudder weighted companion cube completed ^_^

Correction: really real men dont do wcc AT ALL!
Now please create another hype I cant stand the stupid thing!
>> Anon
I have to agree. I am sick to death of seeing this thing, threads about this thing, etc, etc, etc. Could we move on to some real papercraft subjects around here?
>> Anonymous
>>101417
>>101418
Come on, it is a papercraft after all.
If you are not interested in it, just ignore the threads about it and spend your time building/talking about other models.
Personally I don't care about the Companion Cube but I'm not annoyed by the threads about it.
>> Anonymous
ONE thread about WCC at a time is enough. We had three on the first page a few hours ago.
>> Anonymous
>>101263
Well, no one said you have to print the side with the larger heart. It's perfectly reasonable just to print the normal side a few more times and complete the cube.

The square-looking ones go on each side; those other L-shaped ones go on the corners.
