am I aiming too hight? should I do the mouth all 3d or shutted with texture of fangs
>> Anonymous
I'd say as best you can with the "3d look of the fangs" but so a clean realistic line can be cut out around each fangs. You can see the inside of the mouth through the fangs outline.

Or if you have lots of time, make the teeth rows a seperate piece of paper, one single strip for top and bottom, have the front fangs be foldable as a curve when glued to insides of mouth. when you glue it into mouth, you curve the paper on each of the larger fangs.

That model looks like it could be a world of hurt to build.

Wow! This would be totally cool. I agree that it might be cool to have the fangs as a 2-d cutout (as opposed to each fang being a 3d object). Go for it!

that model is from kingdom heart. squarenix's ps2 models are usualy 3000-4000 polygon. my model wont have that much

do it like ninjatoes did with his wolf link model, each and every tooth individually made along with the tongue for massive win
>> chamoo232
>>44922
that migh be what ill do. it wouldnt be that hard to assemble. just very long. if you start by making the tongue and the inside of the mouth then add each teeth then take that whole part and build the head around it will be possible to assemble without going crazy. or maybe I will just make it as detailed and hard as I know I can build and make it a one time build only

This is gonna be awesome.

its loocks like to muths ewen for you chamoo232
you can try it if you want
are you gona make a simpler dog hl2 model ?

dog is on my idea list. but right now im out of ink and no money to get a new cartridge so im stuck. I cant do any build test. Shadow v2 is basicly ready for build text. snake is almost fully yextured but I dont like the final look of the 3d model. this cerberus model is doing very good. migh have the 3d model donetomorow. but ill try to get ink and finish my started projects before doing another one

Well, it all depends on the final size.
On my Tomb Raider Great White Shark model
(http://members.home.nl/saarloos/raidermodels.htm#Tomb%20Raider%20II%20"Great%20White") I did as>>44901is trying to say I think. An open mouth, with 2D teeth (textures on a strip of paper) glued inside. That was a small model.
On my Wolf Link model, I made the teeth entirely 3D. Probably one of the most difficults parts on the entire papercraft, because they're so small, but the result does look badass I think. ;) It was possible to do it that way, because it was a big model (40 cm from nose to tail and 20 cm heigh).
So if you're planning on doing a relatively small model, I think it would be simply impossible to do the teeth entirely 3D: the templates for them will turn out to small to fold. But I think it will look better to make an open mouth, instead of just texturing the teeth onto a "solid" head.

sinze will be as big as I feel doing it without having 50 pages. I migh try to test printing it on black sheets or dark grey. if im to make it big I dont want to print 10 pages of black

Exactly, most of us are just as poor as you are. ;)

Different problem/suggestion: are you just gonna make 1 head and then just copy it two times? Or will each head be a little different? That would be more cool, but also more time consuming for you...
Looks great, but don't make it too small, it looks very hard to build already...
>> chamoo232
>>44965
3 different poses of head just like the first pic I showed. it will definitly be the hardest paper model I ever made. vivi took 8 hours to assemble. I expect this model to take days

you should do a version with the mouth shut for us that aren't that patient

>>44971or maybe I will just make it as detailed and hard as I know I can build and make it a one time build only (>>44935).
So it's gonna be harder than all of her papercrafts so far: the bar is not how patient /po/ is, but what Chamoo herself can build. I doubt she'll do different versions (especially if she's really doing a one time build: why have two one time builds? :) making papercrafts is very time consuming, let alone make more than one version...

You've done enough for /po mademoiselle, with all the free papercraft you did /po should start supporting you. What I mean by that is why do a very complicated work for free, get a publisher to make it into a book - then /po can support you by purchasing it. I say you do easy papercraft for free but complicated ones for pay. that is just my opinion and not the whole of /po. so other readers spare me the flame

An interesting suggestion, and I'd love to be able to buy a book by chamoo, like many others. However, this would have to be full of original material. As you probably noticed, a fair share of chamoo's work is taken out of copyrighted material. And the negotiating, putting together, printing and selling would take some time.

A more immediate show of support though, would be donating on her site. http://www.freewebs.com/chamoo_papercrafts/

Cheers, M.

why dont u do it like, middle mouth open
1 side closed showing teeth, and 1 side closed with lips :]

on my reference pic you can see the right head with mouth almost shut but that beast cant shut lips. he never do in the movie or in the games. if metal gear ray was hard to build then dont even consider being able to build this because im dont the the heads now and each of em has more polygons than Ray
