what 3D modeler does /po/ use? i wanna learn how to make papercrafts. p.s. not a troll
as far as i know, we use a bunch of stuff, Meta, Google sketch, auto cad, etcHowever, the next step after that is usually Pepakura, or some other .pdo program if there is any.
you could learn orthographic projection and CAD
If I pulled something from a game, I use sketchup since it's so easy...definitely looking at trying 3dsmax, though. If I'm desgning something from scrath I use a little free ware CAD program (eMachineShop) and just do the foldout myself.
(OP here)holy crap, look what i just made. see who can guess what it is

well it's my first time making a papercraft, and i was trying to come up with an easy idea and toilet paper was the first thing to com to mind
How well do files import from AutoCAD-Inventor to pepakura? I haven't used that program in a while but It always used to be great for 3d designing stuff.
OP here. alright /po/ thanks for your help. i just started a project. i'm making chibi-robo.
AutoCAD, CATIA, and Microstation, three very simple to learn industry standard software for creating real things.Still waiting for pepakura to output in full vector so it can at least produce marginal quality patterns.
