okay i'm not trolling, but i'm a n00b so bare with me

how man poeple here actually know how to use pepakura?
secondly, how long did it take to learn?
thirdly, how did you learn/ help me learn
and lastly, thank you for listening

I use it, it's fairly easy. When I started a project, I just learned as I went. I was fairly good at papercrafting when I first used it, so I knew how parts and layouts were supposed to look. You need a bit of experience in making other people's papercrafts before you can use Pepakura. That being said, when I did use it, it only took me a couple of hours to fully understand what I was doing. I just learned as I went along. It's not hard like a 3D modeling program, it only has a few functions you can go through.

If you want the hard truth, what you've imported, that head, will never be a papercraft. It's got way too many polygons, and even if you did reduce the amount of polygons in a modeling program, it would still be near impossible. Models need to be kept to a low polygon count.

More or less. Test build what you make before releasing it so you know whether it's actually buildable or not. As long as you take time on each model rather than finishing it as quickly as possible, you'll be all right.

There are keygens for Pepakura 2 available on /rs/ I believe.
