But since your shelves are rectangles, you'll always need to cut in two different directions, so you'll end yp cutting parallel to the flutes, so the edges won't look very nice. So in those cases, where the edges will remain in sight, it's best to cut at a 45 degree angle of the flutes. And use a sharp knife of course. You'll get nicer edges. Keep it up!
