/po/ I have a serious problem with closing objects... I seem to put together the pieces in the wrong order or something. Is there any way I can tell which order, what flaps to glue first? Or should I just get more practice?
If there are any pieces with no tabs, I always put those on last, if possible.
after a bit of practice it'll become easier to plan your way around different shapes
Closing is always hard. If possible, close in an area that is not really visible (like the bottom). Depending on the flap, just pour tons of glue on it and j-j-jam it in.
This is why nearly..if not all.. of my models have an open spot when finished. :>
I concur with Gollum999.Always leave the piece with no tabs to last. And use a generous amount of glue.
>>155126That's what I did with the 'pikablock' model, as shown here.Sometimes, I do actual papercrafts, and I hate having to close them, but I think I've gotten smarter.. and I do what gollum999 does. :D
when you usually assemble them, there's always a tiny spot open on one side. I stick an unbent paper clip in there and smooth the tabs onto the side (pre-glued).Or you could just leave a tiny flap un-glued so that you can stick the paper clip in.
