what is the difference between the asahi and the se? i am curious.
>> sv !!vC9KZM3Ch/H

I only know what Wikipedia knows.

>The Pentax K1000 (originally marked the Asahi Pentax K1000)

>The "Asahi" name and "AOCo" logo was removed from the pentaprism cover to de-emphasize the company name in keeping with the rest of the "Pentax" line.

hmmm, nice to see pentax owners,
what im surprised is the physical condition of your camera, I have a few like that (impeccable mint condition) cameras like the minolta xg-m and ricoh (something or other, lazy to check). I'm just wondering if theyre worth much? no? more that said body in average condition?

Yep, still works. Quite well, I must say, since all the shoots come out correctly exposed.
>>121831
I'm wearing latex gloves for other... kinky reasons. I just didn't brothered to take 'em off for the shot.

The camera IS used, when I manage to get film for it - it's quite hard to find nowadays, at last in my city.

hi jarryd

My k1000 is in great condition. It's actually my film camera of choice.

I like how pentax makes their lenses backward compatible with their past cameras.

Would post a pic but I already did a few pages back and got a duplicate file entry message. It's the b/w one.

Just sold the big one, but only because I figure I'll buy into RZ again when I have the budget to finance a high-res back.
>> fence !!POey2hdozCZ
what do you guys think of those rb67's? i'm thinking of buying one from a local guy for $350.
>> Anonymous
>>122197
350 to 1000 for fair to excellent with the prism and 80mm lens.

You'll find it to be quite heavy for carrying and more at home on a heavy duty tripod.

The pictures are excellent though. With an 80mm lens, I can get up to an inch away from my subject.

Excellent cameras. Big and heavy, approximating the size and weight of a car battery, but operation is smoooooooth and they are surprisingly hand-holdable. I used to hand hold mine down to about 1/8 sec with excellent results. Older C lenses are available on the cheap, though the more recent KL lenses have the same optical formulas as RZ lenses and are among the sharpest lenses available for any system and any format.

Oh, and stay away from the old 50mm C lens. The field of view is great, but I have never seen one that was acceptably sharp.
