Well yeah, he's using a P&S, there's gonna be noise. The shots are still frickin' excellent.

No, they're not.

Bad angle.

Shot is made of fail and lolis.

Black and white for the sake of black and white fail.

COUNTERPOINTS:

>>104983
Great angle. Building forms a great leading line to the kid's face. Dome and crescent in the background, along with the shape of the arches, give the shot an excellent sense of place.

>>104984
Made of win and lolis. Well composed with the kid and the background and just enough rock to balance the weight of the water. Additionally, absolutely perfect timing getting the kid upside-down.

>>104985
The lighting in this one outlines the woman and the little fence or whatever that she's standing by, with great shadows all leading towards the subject. Background just prominent enough to, again, give it a sense of place. If this were in color, it would be a jumble. In black and white, it's beautiful.

I have to admit that this was a lucky shot and that I was shooting blind. The angle was too low that I had to guesstimate. This was also underexposed so tweaked the levels to show the kid.

>>104984
Personally, I think it's one of those moments that would never repeat itself; a second earlier or later and it's ruined (would've been better if the kid in the foreground didn't see the camera), so it was "throw everything else out the window and trip the shutter" or "perch, compose, wait and pray that everything falls into place exactly as it did a minute ago"

>>104985
Although content is lacking (it's just an old woman drying some newspapers that got wet), Shot this with the intention of converting it into B&W (something I'm working on these days).

Great shot, i personally would have shot it from a different perspective but fuck anyone who denies it's a decent shot.

Nicely shot, OP.
Best image I've seen all day.
