No, here's a hint. It's one of the last places you would expect to be so beautiful.

looks like Israel to me.

It looks like a boring panoramic photo... where do they produce those... ... so-cal?
>> Anonymous
looks like southern AZ or NM to me could be wrong though eastern OR and parts of UT and ID look exactly the same
>> mboverload
I forget what it is called, but of course at these distances you get the blue-mountain effect.

Your camera and jpg are causing the grass, which is something that should be interesting and full of detail - to be a muddled mess.

* Reduce the gamma
* Use a higher quality camera or use higher quality JPG quality

I'm not the OP but I'd be willing to bet that's not the camera or jpg but a failure of the depth of field because the focus is on the horizon. The way to properly do this shot would be to use a lens that actually marks out focal range and depth of field and focus as close as possible while still keeping infinity

OP here, these were shot with a shitty point and shoot nikon. I didn't mean for them to look all professional and such, just took them for fun and liked the outcome. So I thought I would share.

shitty point and shoot with panoramic aspect ratio? BEAR DRIVING?! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE
>> mboverload
>>67227
That's fine.

I was just looking at it from the perspective of a professional shot.

Do share. Not like they charge me per meg.

DOF is a good point... but I look at the foreground and it doesn't look that out of focus.

Either way, the image compression is really killing me.

Yeah, I said that before actually looking at the grass. Maybe my display sucks but it all looks fine.

Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's the view from Paseo del Volcan NW.

Oh, and I'm not the OP. But I do live in Albuquerque. 505 4chan ftw.

I have a professional grade CRT running at 2048x1536 but I doubt that makes any real difference.

I'm an HD man - like to see every blade of grass. But that takes a good camera and a large file.
