Ilford's IR film isn't really an IR film, it's an extended range B&W film. A dark red filter (no. 25 or 29) will probably work best, a true IR filter will not overlap enough of SFX's range to be useful.
Since it's an extended range panchromatic film and you're probably not going to be using an IR filter, it is not necessary to adjust focus to the IR mark. Just focus as normal
Since SFX does have an anti-halation layer, don't expect the glowy, soft look that you get with HIE.
