So, I've got myself a camera.
Unfortunately the weather has been shit for the last week, resulting in pictures of gray sky with more or less gray scenery.
But the abundance of falling water finally let to this shot.

I guess the ISO was too high, resulting in the grain that got further amplified through the crop.

c&c?
Never done this before, so any tips concerning composition, contrast, settings etc are appreciated.

nice borkeh

if the shutter had been slightly faster you would have captured a perfect reflection in the droplet, shame because its a good shot! keep on snapping.

Wouldn't it get underexposed if I make the shutter faster with same/decreased ISO?

Awesome sunglasses I've got there...

raise your ISO and aperture to compensate, adding noise reduction, change settings to add "sharpness/contrast".

This one is the JPEG straight out of the camera as I've been unable to reproduce the red hue in the bottle body without over saturating the bottle neck and background.

Comparison to illustrate the problem follows.

Great, forgot to convert to sRGB on all images posted so far.

Left one is the JPEG with picture style standard, on the right the unaltered RAW.
Any ideas how to get the red in the body while keeping it out of the rest of the picture? ACR left me in despair.

Looks like a bong.

Ah well.
As the problem that a seemingly local change in saturation should be acquired through global adjustments is independent from the true nature of the object, let us assume, for the sake of discussion, that this is, in fact, a bong because it looks like one although it's not.
