I've had a DLSR for about a year now, but I don't use it that often. At first I wanted to get into serious amateur photography, but I don't think I have the time or willingness to actually keep up with it. Really, all I've been using it for is taking snapshots and stuff, nothing that would actually require actually carrying around a big DSLR as opposed to a small point and shoot. Actually, I've gotten into shit for trying to take my SLR into a concert - the venue didn't allow and "professional" photography equipment (read: interchangeable lenses), and would've been fine if I had a point and shoot instead. So I was thinking of getting a point and shoot. But I'm wondering if I should keep my SLR and lenses too, since I doubt I'd use them much anymore. In your opinion, fellow /p/hotographers, how much disuse of an SLR would justify not being worth it to keep it anymore?pic unrelated
Give it to me, I'm a poor studentfag who would kill someone with a knife for a decent DSLR. I promise to put it to fantastic use.tl;dr melancholy jealousy
what d-slr are we talking about?inb4 d40, olympus a300(?) or rebels...
>>185986Sony A100, only because I took a photo class with some of my dad's old Minolta stuff and wanted to be able to use his lenses in the future. If anyone cares, the point and shoot I'm thinking of is the Powershot SD1100IS.
