finally got my camera so i thought i'd share some of the "not to ugly" first pics and also ask for some advice about the rules to "reframe" and resize a pic
And yeah i know those pics are a bit too cliché:p

well got it for a few days only but i yet have to try to push it a bit. Only messed around a bit for now. I took the D60 with the VR lens and i have yet to make a blurry pic[even though i don't know if its because of the camera or the VR]
Anyway, final pic is my cat saying hi and still, hating /p/ for helping me choose a camera i bothered him with for a whole day :p

Have you tried the electronic rangefinder manual-focus mode? 'Cause that's what I'm most interested in...

Cloud is beautiful, but image looks desaturated/washed out and the rooftops (?) in the front totally wreck the pic.

Background and general composition pretty good. Needs a lot more light on the subject though. Maybe invest in a reflector?

not yet but trip planned on the outskirt of Torino as soon as the weather clears up so I'll have a lot of opportunity to try it out and tell you about it^^

ABout rooftops, pic was taken fromthe window of my flat and i don't really fell like climbing on the rooftop of a 10floor building just after waking up. As for color, untouched as far as i know but it was auto-mode so might get somethin better once I'll know my way around the camera
For my cat, was happy enough to get him still for more than 2 seconds^^ Once again, i'll have to improve on techniques
thx for the advices
