What do you think?
Used my sister as an unwilling model.
The focus here is on the light, not the objects. Call it impressionistic if you'd like to.

Tiny file, there's no way to say whether or not it's good, and I can't even tell what's in focus. Bigger image plz?

I didn't even notice your sister was in it until I read your post. Maybe she'd be happy to know that you can't even see her. If your light source is behind your subject, you will have giant shadows casted on the face. I only really noticed the shape of the water and the silhouettes of whatever else is in the background.

If the focus isn't on your sister, you should probably take her out entirely or have *her* focus on where you want the (compositional) focus to be.

Have her look off in the distance towards the sunset. Humans are conditioned to look where other people are looking, so that'll focus us in on the light.

As it is, she's just a distraction.

Thanks guys. I'll think about it, especially the 'people look where other people look' thing. /p/ ownz me.
