Need help: how to photograph an object so that the background can be cut away easily later?Even when I use a very uni-color background then try to remove the background, it always leaves a small edge around the object. Then when I put the object on a different background (with all kinds of colors/motifs) you can always easily tell it's pasted on because of this edge...(picture is not mine)
Lasso tool and patience. Plus the uni-color background to make it easier.
no "tricks" while taking the photograph to make it easier..?
Adjust the threshold of the tool until it works. I guess flood-lighting everything you're taking a picture of to completely eliminate shadow would help. Get a lot of diffuse lighting on it.
