Ok i'm in the middle of a photo trip right now (Vancouver) Took the back way of getting here, and went through (for those who care) Spences Bridge, Lytton, Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish and finally Vancouver.

Lillooet to Pemberton = the greatest fucking drive ever. Heres a single sample shot from my drive (IR modified D70)
Took me fucking an hour to edit this pic cause I'm using a macbook here, and lightroom. So I won't be posting much more untill i get back next week.

also 19.99 I sent you an email, not sure if you got it, let me know if you still want to take some pics this week.

You'd best be trolling. I like them both Vincent. Good composition. Contrast seems about right in the first, but the second one looks a little flat - too much grey.

I wasn't sure if lightroom would natively support the D300 Raw files (CS3 didn't).
So heres a sample non Pano from the trip.

Am I the only person who doesn't see what black and white offers, other than fewer ranges of visible light spectrum?
>> Anonymous

I really don't like black and white. To me, colors are typically the most appealing part of photographs.
>> Anonymous

You can create more drama with the tones and texture at a cheaper quality/price point, develop it yourself, make your own prints. It's the craft side of photography unless you want to get into making lenses and pinhole cameras.

>>220301
To get there, you need to post prints. I'm not sure Adams' negative scans are the best, but his prints were amazing. Dodge and fucking burn baby.

I stopped at Lynn Canyon Today, They "Evacuated" the suspension bridge the moment I got to the middle of it. Said it was some sort of structural integrity issue.

Not that it was terribly exciting to take pics of anyway, so heres a random shot with the 300mm from the walk.

Actually, I only have lightroom on this comp, So other than the polarizer on the lens, All I did was some contrast, and a bit of highlights / shadow adjustment. This was even the default WB.

Lens is the Sigma 10-20mm

Nah, unfortunately I didn't pack nearly all of my camera gear, I left the F80 and 15mm, 50mm, and 85mm at home to save space, I'm just working with my D70 and D300, 18-70, 10-20 and 300mm f4. Oh and a 30mm f1.4 if I do any night shooting, which I haven't yet.

Just got back from Grouse mountain, Vancouver has a lot of haze so I'm afraid lightroom may not have the contrast adjusting power I need to make these shots work without photoshop. However if anything is decent i'll post it after all you can eat sushi!

Vincent !!8LCSE0Zp1mL, this is superb miniature photography! How do you make such amazing details at a small scale? Are the clouds formed from cotton balls? I've heard of the technique but never seen it pulled off so flawlessly! Bravo, you have a sharp sense of craftiness!

They are basically UV filters, Therefore the biggest difference you get is on film camera's, The hot filter infront of the sensor on DSLR's filters out most UV light already so there isn't much difference when using them.

IR on the other hand doesn't seem to reflect off of the dust particles in the air, So it cuts right through it. Theres only a bit of haze even visible. It even throws off the perspective sometimes its strange..
