so /p/ whats the best panorama stitching program you know of, i have autostitch but i dont like how it murders the quality, i mean i can do it manually in CS3 but all i have is a gorilla pod not a real tripod so things never seem to keep level when im turning the camera, any help /p/? (CS3 doesn't have a panorama feature does it?)
im willing to pay (cough*torrent*cough) for the program as well.

Yes, CS3 has an automatic panorama feature. Click File>Automate>Photomerge. You'll get the following window; simply add your pictures there. I've had mixed results.

my canon powershot came with one that works really well.. it renders them with its original size and quality.

unfortunately that feature only comes with like the point & shoot type models, us SLR folk are left without it (probably cuz we can do it on our own)

I've been using autostitch for a while. It's not perfect, and I often find myself editing the results, but it does most of the hard stuff fairly accurate. One thing I noticed is it really botches the sky at some points.

about your quality issues with the program, you can go to the options and fix the jpeg quality output as well as the size [I think it defaults the new size to about 10% of the original, I set it to sixty or seventy].

my canon powershot has a panorama feature too, but I don't think it automatically aligns. I might have to check the manual.

PTgui and save as layered PSD, lets you edit it as you like it in Photoshoop

Hmm. I shot a panorama in RAW, wonder if I can just dump the whole lot in a program and adjust the merged photographs as a whole. Any ideas?

(Converting to JPEG is fine, but the workload will kill a RAW n00b like me)
