whats everyone think of the fujifilm finepix sf1000?

i need a decent camera as all ive been using is my mums piddly cybershot, but i cant afford an slr, my friend has this camera and ive used it a handful of times, i liked it, my friend sure can take some good pictures with it, is there a better alternative for under £150?

The finepix series has always been near or at the top of its class for image quality in its price range.

You will not be disappointed. Unless you were expecting too much.

yea thanks guys, sadly that canon is a little out my price range, but im pretty sure i shall go for this, when i get a job and have more money i will get an slr but this will serve me well for the time being i hope

I've used a Fujifilm Finepix S5600 [also called a S5200]

Was brilliant. Hated the image quality initiall tough.

But they were very "interesting" photos. The photos looked very vibrant and colorful.
