WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW CANON
>> ac
Wait, what?

Do you have any actual specs on this thing? Last I've heard, Sony was just saying "Hey, we've got two new DSLRs. We're not going to say what their specs are, though. And also these are just prototypes, so you won't be able to buy one for a long-ass time."

o lawd is dat sum full frame?

Prism looks like it's full frame sized.

However, it's not shipping. Canon are only a few months away from their THIRD GENERATION full frame Digital SLR. Canon glass is cheaper, too.

It's A FONY.

And for what it's worth, your photography is probably better than your spelling.

The best thing with sony and their SLRs was "we are gonna chase the pro market" what a Joke most of them already swapped from Nikon film SLRs to Canon digi SLRs as nikon lagged behind. So canon now own a huge part of the pro market share. Sony think they will swap again to someone with no real camera history until the last few years? Please, they will have to pull something spectacular out of their arse espically looking at the new 1 MII specs (I have also used the day canon announced it as I was at the launch day in London)So sony good luck your gona need it.

It's not *quite* that bad. Sony bought up the photography bits of Konica-Minolta, so they've got Konica and Minolta's long photography history to work from.

Of course, Minolta was always a pretty minor player in the SLR market after Canon and Nikon started dominating it.

But yeah. One of the things about pros is that they tend to have a shit-ton of expensive glass designed to mount on a specific line of cameras. Said line of cameras is pretty much always Nikon or Canon in this day and age. So yeah, Sony's gonna have to offer something really spectacular to get people to switch. E.g., totally noise-free ISO1600 with noisy ISO128,000 or 24fps shooting, or a 300mm f/2.8 for under a hundred bucks or something.

Right now, they've just got a potentially-full-frame dSLR that nobody's allowed to touch because it's behind glass at the PMA without so much as a set of released specs. Canon's God is up in the sky giving them a big thumbs-up, far as I can tell.

There is a noiseless digi SLR its the 1N now the mark III the sensor is unbelievable on the new mark III noiseless 1600 and the 3200 is pretty damn good im not so keen on the 6400 expansion but its certainly usable from what I cant tell from the short time I got to play with it and see some prints from it. Also their is no Konica Minolta behind it now its all been assimilated.
