1. I don't normally like angled shots, but I like how this one allows me to read/see the newspaper machine thing(what the fuck are those called?)

Good job goin out and taking pix, but street photography is HARD. Takes hundreds of pix to get one really good one.

That said, work on your composition, look for interesting lighting & shadows, and look for interesting shapes (blur your eyes if you have to just see the colors and shapes.. it helps)

Bruce Gilden isn't really your ordinary street photographer. Use of flash (incredible, at that) and working really, really close isn't usually the route people take. That video is really inspiring, though. Got me to get out and shoot right away.
