What do you pfags think of the Pentax K20D? It has image stabilization, a major plus for me.. Debating between this and a Nikon D80. Have no interest at all in fuckshit Sony or Canon.

D80 in itself has almost zero advantage over K20D. But there are more Nikon lenses available, especially in the pro segment.

from the reviews OP has read, the D80 does not have image stabilization.

OP is also interested in automatic time lapse photography. Anyone have any comments on that with regards to the K20D and D80?

With some cameras they can take the proprietary batteries normally, but come with a carriage to add in AA if you want. Not a bad idea.

You mean a battery grip? I don't like them; I find them unwieldy, TBH.

And no, we're not starting another grip shitstorm on the front page. People use what they like and don't use what they dislike. End of that here.

It seems essential when you live in a shithole where no one cares to sell proprietary batteries for your particular type of camera (or they sell only shitty chinese ripoffs)

Guess what? I do, or at least have. Haven't looked into buying any in this city.

Order them from the Internet. Bad if you're in a pinch- hence why they're handy- but if you have a backup battery and you're not a lazy ass about charging (I am, too, don't worry) then pinches can be avoided.

heh. I forgot to mention that in my country, the Internet orders from YOU.
