i'm back to submit grainy, crappy photos, not because i've improved or think they're great, but because i have to communicate with someone, somewhere who can discuss my chosen hobby/art form.

1. This isn't a crappy photo.
2. Please re-size your images. Besides it being a standard matter of /p/ courtesy, it has two advantages for the work itself: first, it lets it be viewed without being raped by browser re-sizing, and second, resizing tends to make noise less noticable. The largest a pic really needs to be on the web is about 1000 pixels on its longest side.

I actually like it. The colors and composition seem nice. Definitely too noisy, which hurts, but it's a nice shot.

i thought 2mp WAS resized well enough. nothing's good enough for you monsters.

anyway i'm glad there's some positive with regard to this one. i shooped it to remove a lot of the strong red tones in the brick and silhouette and even stronger sulfury orange-yellow tones inthe streetlights. no crop was necessary which is a new thing for my photos. usually i shoot wide and crop later because i choke on the framing and cut stuff off. as far as noise (i called it grain in OP lol nubz0r) i don't think i can do a damned thing about it. i used low ISO ( i never, ever use 800 and i only use 400 for shots i wouldn't submit here) and it's still noisy due to long exposure time. i suppose i could have blown the aperture all the way out and reduced ex time. dunno why i didnt do that. oh yeah it's because my brain was soaking in 4 different recreational drugs at the time.
