I think I broke /p/. I'll try this again.

Something here reminded me of something (brilliant I know). I'm scanning a lot of slides in for one of my professors, and I was wondering what's a good way to annotate the digitally scanned slide? I was thinking just expand the black border a bit and throw the text there. Is that the best way or does someone else have a better idea?

Any ideas on how to automate it a little more, too?

you can embed data in the exif as a comment in it

I can't do that. The professor I'm doing this for will never find that data again. You know the type.

hopelessly computer illiterate?

go with your first idea then

if you're feeling truly lazy just have the data that doesn;t change in a separate layer that can you can copy paste followed by a quick ctrl-E after you input the variable data

also if you don't feel like having to adjust the canvas size every time just set the scanner to make a larger lower border

Yeah, that's the type. Plus, I'd be afraid he or someone else would accidentally save the file in some way and strip any EXIF data.

I set up an action to increase the border. And no text remains the same really. Oh well, at least I'm getting paid. :)

Thanks.
