Theres sort of an unofficial rule against photomanipulations...

/p/ stands for Photography, not Photoshop.

/p/ is for pompous pricks that think manipulations are barred because they can't do this shit with film. A photo's a photo which can also be described as art. Let this guy get his art thing on.

Why even call it a photo when all the photographed content has been drawn over?

The most digital manipulation a photo posted here should have (aside from the usual crop/resize/vinette/frame) would be your standard RAW processing and/or colour correction.
>> Manipulations Marklund
Care to tell me where I should've posted it instead? ;)

/ic/, but at least you have the original photo beside your manipulation. Photomanipulation is outside post-processing, even though Photoshop or another image editting is used. I'm not one to say that it isn't art, but this board might not be the best place for it.

manipulation or not, that's still a crumby photo

I really like the way you manipulated this photo. Great texture work. How did you do it?

you make a copy of the base layer
select the bottom layer and in the layers palette at the bottom click new adjustment layer and use channel mizer
select the monocrome check box
now take your upper layer image and overlay it, changing opacity as needed
then go back to channel mizer layer and fool around with the sliders

wha-la B&W Color overlay effect, its a good tool i use often try it on some normal pictures too

Hey thanks for that, its a really neat little trick that i will stea....use sometime...
>> Anonymous
>>32804

uh dude, isn't that tantamount to just fucking with the saturation levels?
>> Anonymous
>>32839

just try it first, then talk to me about "fucking with saturation"

Baltimore, right?

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that.

I thought the same but i tested it with just greyscaling the image instead of using the channel mixer and it gives a completely different effect.
