What does /p/ think of the LX2?
I've been thinking of purchasing one.

Good for a compact.

Pros:

Leica-designed lens. Although the Lumix series lenses are made in Japan by Panasonic, they've got the same visual flavor as other Leica lenses.
Rather wide angle (28mm equiv. if I remember correctly)
Nice, wide aspect ratio.
It looks like it would have good handling.

Downsides:

No optical or electronic viewfinder, no shoe to stick one in. Framing has to be done by the rear LCD.
Small sensor, but this goes with the territory on compacts.
You have to shoot raw with Lumix cameras to get good results. Their JPEG engines are notorious for ruining fine detail. So if you don't shoot raw, it's probably not a good idea, but shooting raw is a good idea in general.
