is this part of a series? by itself, it looks a bit bland. you could try doing more conceptualized work, by adding a small child playing in the snow?

i think the composition works ok... it's just enough off center for me. but, i was told that in many of the bigger photo contests, judges will automatically throw out, any photo that has too much of a centered composition, without even looking at it, to find out if it has any kind of other redeeming qualities. i don't know how true that is (the teacher was a douchebag in that class). but, i do know that some people absolutely hate anything too centered.
