Hey /p/eople,
I'm considering getting a Pentax *istDS. Has anyone had any experience with these? Or are there any other entryish DLSRs worth considering?

I'm upgrading from a point n' click and a 35mm Olympus rangefinder.

I've used the DS2, which is basically the same with a bigger LCD. It's an average camera with an awesome viewfinder - probably the best there in the sub-$1000 price range. However, Canons have less noise at high ISOs, Pentax's own K100D has anti-shake, and Olympus... well, they're just fucking cheap.

Apparently the smallest and lightest digital Pentax have, so do you have large hands? Held one before?

Probably seems like a minor point, but I think it's fairly important to be comfortable with your camera.

No. *ist DL(2), and K1xx series are smaller and lighter.
