cool display of the knife, but boring picture.

also, wipe that dirt off your fucking table.
>> Anonymous
>>280954
it looks like the granite reflecting back or something
>> IS THIS GOOD!?! Brutus
It's not a table, it's black granite. In a cardboard box. With some white paper on the back. I don't necessarily see any dirt, but there could very well be some sawdust on there, it's setup in my garage. I think you're just seeing the granite, though.

S'okay.

AT LEAST RESIZE YOUR SHIT GRANITE KNIFE BULLSHIT PICTURES FOR FUCKS SAKE
>> IS THIS GOOD!?! Brutus
I did resize it. Original size is...3648x2736.

DOF is too shallow, stop down the aperture for product photography.

also get rid of the colour aberrations

Drop the LSD bro, there's no cromabs there.

yes there is, that yellow halo is text book example of (mild) chromatic aberration
>> Anonymous
>>281487
Yellow halo? What the fuck, are you wearing shitty polycarbonate/CR39 glasses? There's nothing on my screen, and the only chromabs I can get off that picture are by looking at it through the far corner of my glasses.

get better ones then

chrome abs

I love Brutus' rippling chrome abs.

High refractive index resin with AR coatings, tell me where to find better and I'll gladly look into it, idiot.

By far corner, though, I meant not even 1 millimeter away from the lens border. i.e., the situation in which I am able to even notice chromabs isn't even important.

>>281497
TLDR: No chromabs in OP's picture, shut the fuck up.

Yes, I can see a yellow fringe on the handle. Yes, it's fucking negligible and not worthy of discussion.
>> pskaught !!CrjzPzel1dX
its good, you need to clean whatever the knife is on better and shoot at a higher stop to get the whole knife in focus.

Nice Cyclone. Pic is okay.

Clean the knife to absolute spotlessness, don't use that shitty granite, use black glass. F22 and ISO 50. Extrem fast shutter speed.

lolwut?

Pretty SHARP focus amirite?
>> ilkore !!rybbb5OcRVp
the amount of dust on the knife, is really negligible. especially, for something that probably didn't come straight from out of the box... when i did product photography, i would clean the objects to a point, then i would remove the rest of the dust, in post... microfiber cloths and air canisters, can only do so much.. anything after that, just becomes a waste of time, that could easily be remedied in post.

Excessive punctuation of English language is a common mistake for Finns. Now I'm suspicious of your nationality.

FINE! I'll get the whole knife in focus this time, and...I guess I'll clean the knife a bit.

It's good except:
- if the granite's out of focus, (and it's going to be), then it just looks dirty as previously mentioned.
- for this type of knife it would be good to have the sharp edge of the blade polished, catching the light, and in sharp focus.
- you don't have to have the whole of the knife in focus if the salient features are in sharp focus.
- try black glass instead of the granite.
