hello /p/
I'm having a problem...
I have an old Yashica FR- when I got it from Ebay, it worked perfectly. The only problem was, when I got back a few rolls of film, most of the pictures had orangish-red marks through them. Some were huge streaks taking up most of the picture, some were only splotches of red. My first thought was a light leak, so I took masking tape (the only tape I had available at the time) and put some on the back of the camera over all the places light could get in. After this, I got back another roll, and yet again, red streaks; albeit in maybe 5% less photographs. Was the masking tape just not enough to block the light? Should I try electrical tape or something completely opaque? Is it another problem altogether? please help (also, this isn't a processing mistake since I took rolls to different developers.

Uh yeah...you need something completely opaque. Electrical tape or gaffers tape, whatever you have. You wouldn't use clear window blinds would you?

You need something completely opaque. Think about it - the masking tape won't hold light out.

Thanks, that's what I figured, but I was just making sure for fear that it was a bigger problem. I knew masking tape wasn't completely opaque, but it sort of close, so I thought maybe it would hold most of the light out. I just bought some electrical tape today, so now I'm good.
