Hey /p/
I'm kind of a newfag to film, I used it when I was younger
but I didn't really know much about. Anyways I recently got a lomography camera (Holga) and only 3 out of my 24 pictures taken came out. I changed it in a darkroom with no lights what so ever so I'm wondering why the rest couldn't be developed.
A few of my pictures were on the developed roll of film as well but not all.

Light leaks, those toy cameras are notorious for that. If you want the best possible use out of one, you really need to flock the inside (paint it flat black) and tape any possible leaks on the camera itself. I'm assuming you're talking a medium format Holga instead of the newer 35mm version, and if so, you also might want to make sure your spool is winding tightly, loose spools are common and can really mess up a roll of film.

And you're probably going to get bombarded with /p/ hate for mentioning Lomo or a Holga, just ignore that though.

i am now bombarding you with /p/ hate for using a holga.

HOGLA IS SHIT

You paid $40 for a purposefully broken camera. That is the problem.

Um

How much film did you use? How much photo experience do you have? Do you realize that the Holga has a lot of idiosyncratic issues about it that make it quite hard to take a properly exposed picture?

Eg you can't really shoot that camera indoors, at all.

What was wrong with the pics? Were they washed out, black, out of focus, shaken, what?

The pictures didnt come out, the place where I got them developed gave me back 3. But on the developed film, a few more came out and the rest were black.

Honestly, I don't have much when it comes to film, but I have 2-3 years with digital.

Oh pessoff. Overpriced sure, but it's a blast to shoot with

Define 'didn't come out'. Big red/yellow streaks, splotches, totally dark, or something else?
What kind of film was it?
Have you looked at the negs, or just the prints?
