Mark II or Mark III a year from now? Anonymous
Hay /p/,

Serious question. I currently have an EOS-1n RS which may be in dire need of life support. It's survived a couple of trips around the world, had the winder nearly cooked by a 40MW phased array radar, been to Japan three times, Europe, and has been my constant companion for quite some time.

I've been slowly acquiring decent glass for said over the last three or four years. I really love this body, and the increasing rate at which I am having to reset it due to inexplicable flashing "bc" faults is beginning to seriously concern me.

Basically, I think it's dying, I don't have the money to buy a set of Nikon glass to what I have now, and I am not made of money.

I have the money for a "Canon Refurbished" EOS-1Ds Mark II, not the newer Mark III, or either one new-in-box. I've convinced my only friend (okay, so it's my Mom) at the camera store near where my basement is to hold it for a week while I make a decision.

So my question to you is, do I hope that the RS holds together for another year until I can save up enough for a new Mark III or do I buy the refurbished Mark II and be done?

Pic from the RS when I was in Japan last year. Sorry about the lack of resize and any stray cat hairs from the crap scan.

or you could wait until september and get the 5d mark 2 which will be better than everything you've mentioned
>> $19.99 !OSYhGye6hY
I'd say grab that 1ds II and then come here and do a victory dance because you'll have better gear than 97% of /p/.
