Although I find my ultrasteady hand quite useful.

problem being of course that these pictures are boring.

Maybe start trying to capture something specific? Have a goal?

Also, what sort of artwork do you do? (besides photography)

Problem here is I'm not sure what the subject is. What am I meant to be looking at? The sky is dull and takes up a large amount of the frame. You'd be better cutting some of it off. Maybe leave just a little above the last of the clouds.

>>92069

That one might look better if you included a little more sky and more importantly if the building didn't look like it was leaning over. Wonky buildings always look strange.

yeah no reason I was walking back from uni n decided i needed to take photos of SOMETHING. which ofc never produces good results. I want to do some decent architecture shots of here but I never seem to get anything done, that and I suck at doing that sort of shots doesnt help.

>>92093
Subject is supposed to be that fucking huge cathederal in the back there, the 2nd i think is straight but because of the angle i took it from looks wonkeyer than it is.

Thanks anyway <3

Sure, no problem. I had guessed the cathedral was the subject, but I felt it was being swamped or pushed out by other things. It wasn't standing out as you might want it to. I'm looking to nitpick what I think might help. Makes a change from the usual trolling that goes on here.

Have you tried zooming in and taking more "abstract" style shots of the architecture by having only small sections and details of a building in shot, rather than larger parts or the whole? It can work quite well.

I was trying to do that here but I dont think i've zoomed in enough.

Thanks anyway, i should probably spend more time thinking about shots before taking them i just dont like being stared at when Im shooting (whcih is anytime i have my camera on me)

nice picture OP, where are you there, canterbury? Im sure ive been there... Mind you im in York everythings old and full of american tourists.

it's funny. In america even a crappy entry level dslr gets people looking at you and security guards angrily waving you away.

In japan everyone and their mother has an entry level dslr (and usually a little point and shoot too) so no one even gives you a second look.

Is that Canterbury Cathedral? I'd be pleasantly surprised if it was.

I know what you mean about the staring, but what worked for me was forcing myself to ignore it and keep going. Eventually you'll numb yourself to it more and more.

Try doing it by a roadside and you can enjoy people blowing the horn at you and shouting incomprehensible messages on the way by.

Liverpool Anglican Cathederal.

That was one of the things I enjoyed about wapan, no one really cared you had a camera. No one seems to _MIND_ here they just look upset that I R CAMERA and give me a scowl. But as I've said before I dont know if thats because I get scowed at all the time anyway.

Sage for shitty photos!
