Someone on /p/ said to me as I expressed envy regarding a thread full of lush green places.

Well here ya go whomever you are.

Also, I'm sorry about .png. It wouldn't let me save them as anything else. I'm still sort of a noob at this stuff.

Any tips that can be given on how to not fail at nature photography would be helpful :)

That one's pretty damn great IMO.

Thanks! What excatly do you like about it? What makes it better then the other ones? Just trying to get an idea here.

I am not>>45948, but I also liked the last one best. It's because of the composition, and the shadows, how the mountains are bunched up on the right and leaves a clear space on the left instead of being rocky all over. Also, how the dark shadows fall over the plains, and the structure of the plants. Together with the nice clouds and blue sky, the picture becomes really great. The only thing that bothers me is the road and the car, and I would have cropped off the yellowish shadowed part at the bottom.

Contrasting colours, in this case yellow and blue, is always a good idea.

great work!

I have no idea how I can crop out the car without hurting the rest of the photo...at least IMO. Actually I'm not sure...Is this better?

I think it's much better this way, although I would even cut off a tiny bit more from the bottom, so that the road doesn't twist like that.

I'll agree with most of what>>45962said about the overall composition, colors, etc. It's aslo very nice that everything in the shadows were exposed and I personally think the road is somthing you should leave in, to me the desert and the open road go hand in hand.
