Slow and inaccurate AF is slow and inaccurate.

I wonder if it's got something to do with Sigma's fail HSM, Sigma's fail implementation of 4/3 interface or Olympus' fail AF sensors.

Just a personal thing, but I don't like the borkeh. Too distracting, I prefer creamier.

I dunno about the focusing, but Olympus' AF was never too bad IMO. I've had more issues with Canon's AF, but then again I haven't handled anything more than the Rebels and 20D's from Canon. I need to play around with more Nikon/Sony/Pentax.

Must be a 4/3's hookup, Because on my D50 it was fast fast and accurate! And I was using it in some of the worst lighting conditions I could possibly take my camera (Night clubs)

Also the first pic is pretty good, It's a bit boring, but its nicely composed and exposed.

wait till I get my hands on the 50/1.4 sigma... if it's ever made for 4/3 mount lol.

lol, I got a Minolta/Four-Thirds adapter so I could mount old MD lenses onto my Olympus. It's not bad if you have some old fully manual lenses laying around.

I've got some adapters and old lenses too, but that doesn't help. I know of no 50mm lenses that have borkeh as creamy as I've seen in samples from Sigma 50/1.4.

It'll be pretty long for shots like this.

The OP is really well composed and I like it; I do think it would be better if you focused not on the foreground cross but on the small one on the left-hand side of the frame, draw our attention more into the scene instead of just focusing on the nearest object and letting everything else get blurred down.

The others are meh.

The OM Zuiko 50mm/1.8 is pretty damn creamy!
Subtle, but real nice.

OP, do you have any other pics to show off the bokeh better? Like portraits, close ups, etc.

I just bought it yesterday and snapped a few photos while going home through the cemetery. I don't think /p/ would appreciate close-ups of shit on my desk, so more photos will have to wait a bit.

OP, could you post some photos taken with that lens at f/8? I need some new fap material.

Why would I use a fast prime at f/8 if even my kit zoom is perfectly sharp at this aperture?

Anyway, here's one of just two frames shot at f/8 I have

Here's the second one. Shot that just to check sharpness and cro-mabs, so excuse the lack of any artistic value.

f8 and f11 or f16 or something are when the lens is the sharpest
>> Anonymous
>>232142
Lenses like the 30/1.4 usually reach max sharpness earlier, like at f/4. As for smaller apertures, f/11 on an Olympus is where diffraction starts to spoil the image (f/16 and f/22 are best avoided)
