dude its a problem with your sensor, The lens isn't the issue.

You just have to deal with it, sometimes they go away.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>147753
Sorry. Just something that happens with digital sensors sometime. If you're lucky, it'll suddenly go away on its own.

It might be possible to teach your RAW converter or your camera's firmware itself that that's a hot pixel so they'll automatically ignore it. Dunno how, though.

How old is your camera? You need to change the entire sensor to fix it, so I hope your warranty is still in effect..

welcome to my world

my D80 has the same problem

These are ok shots. Its indoor photography, so not much is actually demanded. If you want to improve, get a proper external flash or maybe a fast prime lens, but with what I belive you have, this is about as good as you will get it.
>> Anonymous
Is it as common in Canon?
>> Anonymous
>>147818
Not the ones with the new CMOS-sensor. Actually more common on the CCD.

>>147816

Thanks for advice...

Sorry to be a noob but a fast prime lens?? whats that :P

And could you recomend a good flash for me??
>> Anonymous
>>147834

prime lenses are lenses with a fixed focal length.

"fast lens" or "fast glass" refers to a lens that can open up really wide (like f/1.4) to let a lot of light in.. resulting in faster shutter speeds.

Ahhhhh fair enough :P

Care to recommend one for a Pentax K100D?

dunno whether it works or not, but i "hear" that doing a long exposure may help/fix a dead pixel.

worth a shot?
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>147875
Dark frame subtraction would probably fix it in a long exposure, yeah.
>> lurker !rK4K86e49M
This happened to my 4 year old 3mp sony p&s, but I've dropped it several times, down stairs, onto concrete, etc and its scratched to fuck with dents and shit too. So what can you expect. In fact I'm elated the damn thing functions at all.
