Hi /p/ i recently got in possession of a 1973 japanese camera,it is called the Nikon Nikkormat FTN (pic related) i think it's from the 70s,some dude told me it is a pretty good camera,it has 2 objectives and 5 lens
1 Objective Nikon NIKKOR-S Auto 1:14 f=50mm
1 Objective Nikon NIKKOR 200mm 1:4
1 Lens Cozo POLARIZER 52mm
1 Lens CARDINAL CLOSE-UP No.3 52mm
1 Red Lens Cozo R-60 52mm
Since my knowledge in old cameras is equal to 0,i would like to know what do you guys think about this one,and which is its value if i decide to sell it

You can look up the prices on ebay, all this stuff is pretty common. The camera itself is nice, but won't sell for much because everyone aims for higher-end bodies like the FM; the lenses are very good and probably worth at least a hundred each; filters, except the polarizer, are worthless.

Dunno about the camera body, but 50mm f/1.4 is win. 200mm f/4 is a reasonable amount of win, too.

It's an inexpensive body from the late 60s/early 70s. Full manual, with metering controlled by an external prong (so it won't meter with prongless AI-P or AF lenses). Viewfinder is kinda small and dim compared both to its contemporary F/F2 and newer low-end bodies like the EM.

I got two of them with lenses, filters, flash, carrying cases, hard cases for both and a handy kodak pocket book on exposure for 50.00 off of eBay.

Using a fully manual camera sharpens your skills. Afterwards, picking up your DSLR and taking pictures just isn't the same.

It won't sell for jack but it's a great user camera. I had a pretty similar kit for a while until it decided it didn't want to wind anymore. With a hotshoe that my grandfather added on top, it's functionally pretty much an FM2, with a slower top shutter speed and sync, but with added mirror lock up. Almost every Nikon MF lens ever made has a prong, and many of the AF lenses too, so finding good lenses to use with it shouldn't be a problem.
