This has to be one of the most heart wrenching group of photos I have every seen. Its documents a single mother and her son who is dying of cancer. It won the Puliter Prize for feature photography this year.

Incredibly powerful... great photography, truly.

I had the pleasure to meet one of the photographers from the Dallas Morning News that won it in 2006 for their Katrina coverage. Pic related (that's my hand)

I wonder what kind of calendar they operate on, though... by all reasoning, shouldn't the 2007 award remain forthcoming? I mean, it just seems a little premature.

very touching photos indeed, worthy of a Pulitzer. must have been very hard on the photog, getting so much into their private life
