Turn off flash, increase natural lighting. You're getting washed out points on the dice and far heavy shadows inches below where the flash couldn't fill.

Listen to this man. People who don't know from Chess won't be able to tell, but good Chess players will be able to immediately tell when a Chess board has the pieces in places they couldn't have gotten to in an actual game.
