Shit Photoshop is shit.

Here's my revision to your's. It's extremely quickly done so don't look too much into it.

It's more of to show what you could potentially do with the photo.

I believe the emphasis should be put most on the sky. In your edit, it doesn't really have a point where the viewer of the photograph wants to direct it's eye. I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad picture but your after process of it could use a bit of work. But that's just my opinion.

I like the compostion and the old building with the grey sky. However, these photos seem awfully noisy for how low an ISO there were.

I don't know the Powershot A550, but I don't imagine its noise is this bad at ISO80?

I can see you used very quick exposure times. Did you have to enhance the brightness in post?

For shots like these, I think you should use a tripod. Keep the ISO as low as you can get, set the aperture to get what DOF you want, then just set an appropriate shutter.

Actually, I added grain so it's not noise. Heh

I also used CHDK custom firmware to shoot in raw and tone mapped it then upped contrast and played around with settings. The thing's photoshopped to hell.

Grain is noise as well.
