Hey /p/, so my father is a professional photographer, and through working with him I have landed a few jobs here and there, but now it is becoming serious business, and since I know a thing or two in logo design, i decided to make my own. Any suggestions on it, it needs to be simple so I was thinking of incorporating a simple stencil, like a security camera but does that give people the wrong idea?

I understand this isn't photography per say, but I feel only the experienced photographers here would be able to help me.

Pic related, it's the camera I currently use.

Unless your clients are PIs who have you shoot cheating soon-to-be-ex spouses in the act with some delicious ISO 25,600 from a car parked across the street, then of course this gives people the wrong idea.

I know you're not trolling man, they're just dicks. But they also have a point. You really shouldn't be asking us how to design your logo for you. Brainstorm. Sketch out 20 logos. And I really do mean sketch, don't spend more than a minute on each logo. Narrow it down to a few, refine those, edit down again to one final candidate, draft that logo, THEN bring THAT to a thread. And this feedback you get... you don't have to listen to it, especially if it seems like a bad idea. But let it factor into your own idea of the logo.

But ultimately this is your creation. Work it. Do a good job.
