Picture thread. These are a little old, and I don't really like them myself.. I was wondering what /p/ thought. Usually I work in black and white, but since I was going out with balloons, it'd be a shame to use black and white film..

could have been cool if the guy was properly exposed.

I'd love to photograph that guy on the left.
Could make one hell of a character out of that face.

Yup, lots of dynamic range in film!

I have another picture of the couple, however they were looking straight in the sun. Very smart of me. Lightning and colors made it a lot better though.

Another from the OP character, but the colors are a little bland.

So what's with all the old people with balloons?
>> Anonymous
>>241365
I have no idea! I just brought balloons to the beach and asked people I thought'd look good on a picture to hold them for a sec. There's a local art event with the theme "Live life" or something similar soon, I'll most likely submit one of the pictures..

Ahhh.

That's actually pretty awesome. I enjoy these pictures on another level now.

Is that some sarcasm?
Also, which picture would you recommend I'd go with for the exposition?
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>241375
Nope. No sarcasm. I'm genuinely impressed.
1. You went out with a specific photographic idea in mind rather than just wandering around pointing and clicking
2. You actually interacted with random strangers to get the shots, something I'm always too much of a pussy to do.

I haven't scanned it, but I did take a picture frontal. She was a creep though! She never said a word, and when I handed her the balloons (she nodded), she held them so firm I had a lot of trouble getting my own hand loose from the wires.

Those points don't make the pictures any better though. What do you think of them picture-wise, composition etcetera?
And you did once asked the girl at what was it, the parking space? Eventually she had a tree growing out of her head in the picture due to awkward composition. Just do it more often, it can get really good results. I'm still quite fond of this picture, taken in the same way.

>Those points don't make the pictures any better though
Yeah, but now I know that there's an interesting story behind 'em, and that makes me enjoy them more. Context is important.

>What do you think of them picture-wise, composition etcetera?
They're not bad. The ones where the person's not just looking straight at the camera like a tourist are the best ones.

>And you did once asked the girl at what was it, the parking space?
Yeah, I've done it a few other times since then. But it's always just awkward for me.
