>>146660 >it's not for a trade show you fucking retard Check your facts. From http://www.electronista.com/articles/08/03/21/sony.a900.alpha.dslr/ "A sneak peek at what is believed to be Sonys top-end digital SLR was offered at Japans Photo Imaging Expo on Friday."
Key phrase there: "Sneak peek"
>it's officially coming out in august or september No, they're officially planning to *announce* it in August or September. There's a big difference. The mere fact that they're not sure if it's going to be announced at Photokina or IPA--and that it doesn't even have an *official name* yet--suggests that this is far from ready to ship. >model is working, didn't see you bitch at the preview model of the 450d from canon faggot There are different levels of working. Working enough for a demo is far, far from "Ready to ship in August"
Go now and look for the press release about this on Sony's website. What? Can't find one? That's because this *hasn't been officially announced yet*. This is in contrast to the Rebel XSi, which had a press release and a shipping date when people started talking about it.
A better parallel with a Canon system would be the 5D successor. And if you paid attention to that thread, you might have noticed that I was very much skeptical about the veracity of that without an official Canon press release, too.
