I just started photography. I want to show you some pictures I took in Thailand last month because I think I learned some stuff. Although they are not the worst, there is missing something 'special' in these pictures, but I just don't know how to make them more interesting. Photographies like this you can see everywhere, and that's not what I want to. So, constructive critics?

Don't really care for the close focus. Also, a little too bright. Pretty good composition, decent use of foreground, too much empty space in the sky, although it isn't too critical in this case. Is that some sort of smudge on the left?

They're all overexposed in places, for one. Are these film or digital?

I can't efford a digital camera for now. I had to make a film and scan it, so that's why there are ugly smudges.

Last one for now. Still waiting for some comments or critics.

i liked these ones, the last i mentioned could be better if you didn't had so much "redish" thing going on

all the others are bad, read about composition & co.

Actually I think>>232488has not the worst composition. How can I make it better?

You don't need to know about composition or stuff like that to take a good picture. What you need is a better camera. These pictures are too noisy and have a low dynamic range. I suggest a Nikon D40.

For how much I can get one? Prices on the internet are between EUR 237,00 and EUR 636,84, depends on the lens.

You could have bought one in Bangkok for <US$400 and a 400D for <US$600, including a decent bag, Hoya UV filter, cleaning kit, etc.

Thanks, maybe I buy one when I go to Thailand again next year. Any details I have to keep an eye on?

The only place where they have cheap prices like that is Pantip Plaza, they're grey market so there's no global warranty. You can get 7% of the camera's cost refunded at the airport when you leave but make sure you ask the shop to write a receipt for it.
I would have bought my camera there but paid about $100 more because going there is a fucking nightmare for locals. There's no parking, traffic, crowded, etc.
If you know a local personally then have them go with you so they don't fuck you over too badly and don't wear touristy clothes; that means wear jeans and a decent shirt, no baseball caps, 3/4 leg cargo shorts, flip flops, touristy t-shirts, etc.
