What does /p/ Think about this Canon Rebel K2 35mm?
>> Anonymous
It's a film slr. Most will do what they're supposed to. The wonders of the 35mm film system!

Only wish it didn't come in silver only :(

One of the worst 35mm SLRs ever made. For the same amount of money you could get a used EOS 1 or 1n.

Buy a used Elan7/EOS 3/EOS 1 instead.

This.

Small, cheap, light. It's the only lens I use with my film body anymore.

Same set up i use, except with the K2. I also had a zoom lens, but i found myself using the 50mm prime more often than not. Also, depending on the film type you use, you may want to adjust your camera to be a stop down from what the film is rated. i.e. iso 400 >>320 or 200. etc. Maybe it was just my camera, but i had a problem with under exposure. Stopping it down got me crisper and better exposed photos.

It is one of the SLRs that is made on the cheaper side. I wouldn't recommend getting it, even something like the T2 which is slightly more expensive would give you better quality. It's not to say that it won't work, but you could probably get a better performance out of another camera for the same money.

Like I said. I'm just starting film photography, I didn't want to buy an expensive camera and then not be able to even use it, Because I don't know how. And I haven't even Developed any film. So I have no idea how the quality is.

It is a film SLR.

It is a light-tight box with a big hole in the front.

Exactly what do you think that camera is going to do that will give lower-quality images than an EOS 1V with the same glass on the front?
