This guy owns us all with his powershit A series Anonymous
http://www.flickr.com/photos/full_collapse/

I also kind of like his gamma'd-up shooping style

this is making me second guess my decision to invest in a dSLR in the near future

The guy knows how to shoop but his content is pretty fucking bland. Aside from his garden insect super macro shots I don't think he left his room to take any of them.

There's a certain novelty aspect to the fact that all his stuff is done with a point-and-shoot but his shots would ultimately be more easily produced and with better quality using a DSLR.

Excellent composition, excellent post work, and the dude knows his camera. Great stuff.

Wait wtf?

This dude is taking all these pics with a Canon A550...?
Am I missing something here?

camera doesnt really matter.... atleast to a certain point

This guy is pretty good with photoshop. LOTS of layer mask edits.
Some of the pics seem to be at a wider angle than his camera actually has, so not sure what those pics are.

Overall though, lots of win, very little fail

shoopan mastah
some of his concepts are really nice

some p/s cameras are pretty win though.. like my old canon s2is
it was awesome as both a telephoto and 0cm macro lens in one.

I know him IRL (well, sorta). He's been tinkering with PS long before he got into photography, so he's pretty good with post-processing. Besides that, he's also pretty creative with his macro concepts. Like we always say here, "It's the Indian, not the arrow".

If you can stick to low ISOs, a P&S won't deliver much worse results than a DSLR with a lens of equal quality.

This isn't surprising.

It's not the camera, it's the photographer.
