Does it need any additional cropping? I'm kinda on the fence.

Then get the hell off of it, you might get splinters.

only crop about 5% off the right, and 2% off the top, That will be more 3:2 ratio than the current pic

png, png, png. please. just don't. see many of the other threads on /p/ about why png + 4chan = bad

very nice shot however, everything from how sharp and defined the blades are to the nice little reflection in the water, it's a damn good photo. I wouldn't crop much off of it, but if I had to I'd lose some of the shadow (though the shadow/well-lit blades of grass are what a lot of its appeal is drawn from)

Yeah that's kinda what I'm concerned about. Getting the correct aspect ratio without cropping out anything important. :/

Photoshop --> new --> Size: 4inches x 3inches
Ctrl+a
Ctrl+C
open your photo
Ctrl+V
on number pad type 50
Then transform (ctrl+t) whilst holding shift (maintain aspect ratio)
move, make bigger, smaller, either way, you'll get the right aspect ratio and then hit enter

ctrl+click the thumbnail of the little rectangle you made, then alt+i then P.

voila.

alternatively, square marquee tool -> maintain aspect ratio, 2x3, then marquee it up. edit -> crop -> save

or just put the aspect ratio into the crop tool, it'll constrain the cropping square

PNG is the answer to a question no one asked.
At worst, it's open sores faggotry.
At best, it's a less-compatible replacement for GIF.
