Hey everyone, I am having a job crisis in my life right now. I found a job on craigslist to be a photographers assistant. It's a temp job starting in may and ending in November. I would help set up the backgrounds settings and deal with the lightings and the customers. I am also interning at a film company and learning about the industry. I really want to get into it and i think this will give me a good experience. However I have an interview for UPS coming up. I already worked there for a year and a half and they paid for school and health insurance. I kind of want to go back so i can get a degree but then i kind of just want to jump into the job with out a degree and work my way up. Hoping that the assistant job will give me a lot of experience. I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

1. Get monday to friday 9-5 job
2. Sign on as assistant
3. ????
4. School or Profit

Seriously almost all assistant jobs will be evenings, or weekends. (Weddings, events, parties)
Though if it is baby pictures then you be fucked, cause then its AM weekday stuff

well the assistant job is random hours. From like 530 am to late. So if i got another job with this the times would always conflict with each other. and they need like a full time assistant. It would be doing proms, semi's, weddings, under class men pictures.

Get a degree first.

You can always be a doctor/lawyer/engineer with photography as a hobby on the side (and still learn a lot of stuff along the way), but you can't be a photographer while being a doctor/lawyer/engineer as a hobby.
