Assignment... though I did get her number. :/
>> Jeremo
wait, can someone explain to me why someone would have a tilt shift indoors? what effects could you achieve? i know nothing about tilt shifts reallly
>> heavyweather !4AIf7oXcbA
She shoots really stopped down because she's nuking people with light. So like, f/16. With a tilt-shift, she can still create out of focus areas of the photo, but the shit that's in focus is REALLY in focus.

In other words, she's clever as hell, and I want to ram her from behind.
>> fence !!POey2hdozCZ
YOU'RE NOT JEREMO.

anyway, you use tilt shift indoors to get everything along one plane in focus without stopping down. actually very useful. you can also use it to throw everything except for a oblique plane out of focus. or you can straighten your walls so you don't get keystoning, just like outdoors architecture photography.
>> fence !!POey2hdozCZ
jesus christ you better hope she doesn't read /p/, man. or that she doesn't know anyone who also reads /p/.

nah, tilt shift lenses are the most niche, specialty lenses out there. those third party lenses you posted are guaranteed to be awful, and first party lenses go for two grand. for that much, you might as well buy a 4x5 and not fuck around with an inferior product.

plus, you can easily duplicate most of the stuff TS and view cameras do in photoshop, save for some of the focus effects.

"except for the focus effects", which are totally unimportant right. What the hell else are you getting a T/S lens for?

If you use it in a studio setting, you can always get a first party manual focus one. Nikkors <33

One of the things I really like about DC's work is how he doing good, creative portraiture without flash, considering that Strobist play is the trend du jour in it, and considering that I'm not partial at all to noticable flash effects.

Well, I'm not a part of the parkour community, so I can't say if this dude is typical or not, but he made it sound like parkour is more about aerobic exercise and conditioning than it is about the Bourne Ultimatum opening chase scene, et cetera.

Also, homeboy is chinese, not japanese.
