Nearsighted = bokeh vision? Anonymous
So, if one is nearsighted (myopia) does that mean you see the world in glorious bokeh vision?

I just blew my mind.

Hey have you guys noticed that, even when youre using correction lenses, when youre doing things by habit or reflexes, or just walking around, youre pretty much focused to infinity? Or at least focused at something past 3m

I think I know what you mean. Things up close in that situation tend to be out of focus unless it gets your attention.

i have astigmatism so i cant see anywhere :( and my glasses have annoying cromabs at the edges

Yeah, of course, because if you're walking you need to see what's coming up, not some empty air right in front of you.

What kind do you have? Just one eye or both?

I've got one too but I don't get cromabs at all. Really bad natural vision, but good with glasses.

Why are all photogs eyes so bad? It seems unfair.

All that strain looking through the viewfinder. ;_;

I'm also near-sighted and I have an astigmatism in one eye. Or was it both? I dunno, but my vision ain't too great.

The weird thing is, up untuil age 11, I thought the world was naturally blurry as fuck. I was at a DMV because one of my family members was getting her license and they had those little things in the back with the letters to test your vision. And my dad asked me whether I could also make out all the letters on the sign. And I was like, "What sign?"

So yeah, bokeh may look nice in some pictures but real life bokeh everywhere kinda sucks.

i get mine from the eye doctor. its like $120 for the lenses alone :(

Strange. I've got the same condition and I get absolutely no cromabs at any time and under any condition.

We're not talking about dirty glasses or wonky coatings or something, maybe? Have you always had this issue? Does it show up when you don't have your glasses on?
