Does anyone here know much about high-pass sharpening? I know the basic steps, but I have absolutely no understanding of how to work and modulate them to get a certain result. So any sort of tips or advice on it would be great. In return, a random photograph.
I know lots about it. I enjoy having this knowledge and I benefit from it greatly. I am so glad I took the time to read up on it and search around the internet and in printed text to research this topic properly.
>>136377I've read articles on the Internet about it, but saying "duplicate the layer, set the radius to x, and adjust the opacity" doesn't really explain the finer points of using it.

>>136384I've read that article and three others. A basic how-to is not what I'm looking for here. I'm asking if anyone has any extra tips on making it work better.
Past the basic how-to it's pretty subjective. Just mess around with it until you get the look you like.
>>136385when you adjust these things watch what happens and learn from it.
>>136406oh and also learn how channels work and what effect on the channels it has. I mean in depth channels its the ultimate. Once you learn what channels do and how they are used and affected mathematically you can do anything in photoshop.
