hey /p/, i got a sanyo VPC-S880 digital camera, and i was wondering if anyone knows how to set it where it takes the picture WHEN YOU PRESS THE BUTTON. i have to stand still for about 5 seconds before it takes the picture, and it makes me miss alot of good pictures, anyone know how to change this setting?

thanks

don't know if thats a joke, or seriousness. but does anyone know how i get to the "auto focus" or "shutter time" to change on this camera? i can't find it anywhere in the menu. some help would be greatly appreciated

i'll bite

you have shutter lag which is common with point and shoots.

you can't change it.

buy a dSLR.

You can't change the settings for that. But there is a trick...

Press the sutter botton half way trough, and keep it that way. You'll notice the camera begins to focus. When it's ready, it'll make a small "bip" sound. that means the camera is ready to take the picture.

Now you only have to press the sutter botton all the way, to take the picture.

It will take the instant you press it.

This is the same for almost any point and shoot, and even the DSLRs
