you won't find good help here. someone might give you a link or something but what i've learned is that /p/ wants to see and talk about good photos that are taken by experienced photogs, and also yap fanboyishly about equipment. use google.

it's hard to change the composition of this one, since there is text that has to be visible. it looks good to me, even though it's not exactly exciting.

YOU'RE NOT HELPING!

How about taking it from a more extreme angle, but keep the text readable, like really close to the ground. I bet it would look better.

With Photoshop you could give the shape of the words moving away from you... rather than squarish make it like viewing a road getting smaller into the distance... that would be a way of fixing this picture

It's very, very difficult to take a photo of text and have it look like a nice photo. It's usually just going to look like some text.

So start by taking a photo of something without text.

Way to be Part Of The Problem.

I see people offering helpful advice in pretty much all threads but the absolute lamest.
E.g.:

Lower angle, with text in foreground, arrow pointing towards the top, with half of the circle disappearing. Use a large aperture, keeping the text in focus while making the arrow blurry.

Use the Thirds Rule. If you have a decent camera you can get the thirds lines up in the view finder so it can make compo nice and easy. As many others have said, you should be able to find info on google with pictures to explain. Once it has explained, it will take you many many years to get it right.
