I like it, composition is good and the colour to the left is fantastic. The bokeh isnt overdone (probably not intentional) so you still get the shapes of the leaves so not to isolate and put the entire focus onto the bird.

its a shame that the depth/beauty in the birds chest wasnt brought out- not your fault though, requires an expensive lens eh

This is going to sound weird, but, I was using a 105mm Macro lens. I asked my friend to take the macro out since he was using our 100-300mm, and this bird came down right by me. I was intending on getting a boring flower macro, but go this instead.


Anyway, here's another shot I got just moments away with the same macro.

This picture does not suck. The halos around the background objects are a bit distracting, but only after I've already stared at it for a few seconds. Also surprisingly noise-free for ISO800 on a D50.
