New photographer here. I want to start taking more indoor shots (Specifically boat/home interiors, maybe the occasional portrait), but all my shots up until now have been landscape or pictures of objects at a distance (Aircraft), and I was wondering what type of lens /p/ would suggest?

I'm working with a Canon Digital Rebel XT, and the only lenses I have are a 19-35 Tokina and a 28-200 Canon telephoto. Both I'm assuming are not ideal for the job. Ideally I'd like something that'll give me decent depth of field, and on the lower end of the price range.

Pic related.

actually taking pictures of the interiors, like you would to show them off? the tokina would probably do fine depending on how much distortion it has.

OP here again, I made a mistake:

>>small depth of field

Critical mistake.

If you're taking indoor shots for publications (ie for a estate agent) then you want hueg dof so you can get most of the room in focus. The 19-35 at f11 should do that job great.

50/1.8 will give you a great cheap portrait with a fairly decent bokeh, so grab that and a tripod.
