Hi I have a bit of an issue, I will need some pretty expert advice here.

I have a good spot to take a pano from, and the lighting was great today, (Albeit a bit too much of a dynamic range) So I wanted to take a Pano and then basically HDR it.

Problem is I didn't have a tripod, So I took bracketed shots that are very very close together (but a few pixels off in each pic i'm sure)
NOW to create a HDR from each pic will involve matching exposures perfectly (A very difficult task, and will vary on what each pic shows as clipped whites and blacks)

OR making 3 pano's first and doing the HDR from there.

Anyone know how to do this? I use PTGui and i'm wondering if I can just trick the program by changing the filenames one by one after the control points are generated from the first pic (Since they are soo close together it could work)
But somehow i have the feeling the program will know what I did and screw me up.

Advice? (Pic related a little)

Sweet, it might just work, Rendering it right now (Just edited the filenames to match the original ones, It might be slightly off, but hey it might work out anyway)
I'll find out in 20 minutes when its finished.

a program usually wont be like "hey, wait a second bitch, youre trying to trick me. fuck no i wont do this"

Looks like you are right, it finished rendering step 2, and it looks quite accurate, I was worried it would store the files as some sort of pseudo output before you render it (Since it has to calculate the control points and generate a preview)

After I'm done the third one I'll see how well they line up. (Which is my user error)

Give PTGui props for this, with a tripod + shutter release you could get perfect alligned Bracketed shots With no need to edit the pictures prior to blending. Thats a huge time saver.

Nope, too much subtle shifting, It worked for what I wanted it to though, If I had a tripod I could get it to line up no problem I'm sure, Would make a pretty good pic if you actually needed the extra dynamic range.

I'm going to do one for fun (just a 2 exposure one) we shall see how it works. (will be blurry in parts i'm sure)

Heres the HDR, a little fuzzy pretty much everywhere, not worth editing any more than this.

Just posting so people could see really, IMO its still a tad on the fake side.
