C'mon, /p/, surely you can agree that not all HDR is bad. I'll grant that some, perhaps even most are hideous abberations of nature, particularly those found on deviantart, but once in a while I come across one that allows me to appreciate the process.EXIF data available. Not bad. At full size most HDRs don't look as ridiculous as the thumbnails.
>>220215>At full size most HDRs don't look as ridiculous as the thumbnails.Same goes for all poor edits. It's an optical illusion, not a revelation of detail.
This would look better if it wasnt for all those disgusting toning seams. HDRfags need to learn some subtlety.
I should try this with some 4x5 film some time. See if it looks as ridiculous as the digital ones usually do.OP's picture isn't bad. People just need to understand that not everything needs HDR, but that it has it's place.
Actually you really need to do some burning around the buildings. HDR is a simple tool used for capturing what the human eye can see with the limited aspect of cameras. Last time I checked those towers didn't have huge glowing halos around them. The halos do not look good either. The picture I posted is HDR. But it was only used to lightly bring out the detail in the foliage and the train tracks. Notice no halos on anything.
>>220257Nice halo on the bush to the left.
>>220262The "Halo" on the left part there is actually a oddly lit thunderstorm. It started raining after I took this shot and hailing shortly thereafter. Luckily I got to a shelter in time. There is a "slight" halo there, nothing that will show up on a print though. So nice try.
>>220273No, you're missing what I'm talking about completely. I've edited the picture to highlight (no pun intended) the halo. I could see it with my naked eyes, I guess you need a check-up. Or a better monitor.
I do all of my final work on an EZIO. this is not my final work as the lens distortion is not corrected yet.
No, sorry, all HDR is shit.
