...16? Wow. You have something special, man. Continue to develop your talent, because what you've got on your flickr is already pretty fantastic, especially for not having one damn person in it! I mean, wow! I envy you for discovering photography so early. You've got at least a three year head start on me, so take that time to start making a really kickass portfolio!

I liked too many of them to count. My one suggestion is to start putting some of this talent to use with people! They're fascinating subjects, more difficult yes, but with a greater potential for really amazing photographs. Keep shooting!

I took at a look at your portfolio and you really have a talent. Keep up the great work.

dont put yourself downy, anyone can take "nice" photos with the right equiptment.

i agree with you in that he needs to start to deal with people or somthing a little different. i like the few landscpe shots, but dont like hdr. i can see why ppl use it, its just hdr always looks like hdr...etc etc.

with what camera did you take this pic with?

Almost all of these pictures are very good to perfect on a technical level, but only "Tar," "Desire," "Natural Technology, "Still Waters," and "Open Wound" are the only ones that jump out as good art and not just good craft. The rest are too abstract and/or look like demonstration photographs a company would make to show off a macro lens. Also, lose the borders, especially on ones like “Open Wound” where you blur the edge and make that a border. Keep it or crop it.

I think he posted here once before.

“Tar” has a nice, impressionistic thing going, and the surreal effect of the (tar?) on the ground reflecting the fluorescent light strips works marvelously. All that, the slightly off-center composition, and the brightness in the back gives the photograph a genuine sense of unease that ultimately is what makes it great.

“Desire” is a good subject and well-composed, but it is significantly diminished by the small DoF. You should’ve had more to place the moth in the frame, and not pull it out and blur the rest of it into irrelevancy.

“Natural Technology” is witty, extremely well-executed, and I love the colors in it, all the shades of green and so on.

“Still Waters” works for several reasons. First, I’ve a feeling you putting this in black and white was a wonderful decision. Second, the tower on the bridge and the tree give the photograph a sort of border-within-the-frame, making it more than just a bridge retreating into the woods. Lastly, the location (the trees, the hills, etc.) is just great.

“Open Wound” should have been another overly abstract macro, but it works here: There is real mystery going on here. It could have benefited from more depth of field; the out-of-focus foreground is really distracting.

The three I don't like at all are "Flick," "Warm Sunset," and "Rain."

"Flick" just seems absolutely pointless, to be honest. It's a slightly blurred zippo lighter and some sparks.

With "Warm Sunset," what you presumably did in Photoshop to it is just hideous. It looks like someone poured a layer of frying oil over the photograph, really. Find the original, process it without smudging it up, and repost.

"Rain" is a generic black and white photograph of some trees made bad by water on the lens.

According to his Flickr, it's a Sony DSC-F828.

UNDERAGE? I DO NOT HABEEB IT!

But still, if it's true, good show! Really great photos. Try to move on from abstract to more realistic subjects, as was proposed here. I'd love to see how you'd capture human emotion.

OP is not 16, but these are very good pics

OMG! WATER DROPLETS? YOU ARE SOOOO FUCKING DEEP. U R AMAZING AND YOUR PICTURES SPEEK TO MY SOUL! honestly though, this is some of the most generic unoriginal shit I have ever seen. Whats with the bugs and water and grass? If your trying to create some sort of atmosphere, it is NOT working. 16 or not, you suck.

Hahaha thanks.

Haha, it seems like some people are jealous.

Your stuff isn't "OMG AMAZING" but geez, it's pretty damn good for someone who is 16.
