I started burning in the darks a lot, especially the backgrounds of the better photos.

Do you want detailed comments, or gut reactions?

Shit. Looks like a cell phone picture.

>>156953
Shit. Looks like a vacation snapshot.

>>156962
This is OK. I wish the kid didn't have the vest, but I like this. You burned the lower-right too much though.

>>156965
Shit. Another snapshot. Get your fucking verticals level. Or tilt them more so they look like they're off-level on purpose.

>>156968
Crop it in a little tighter (or pull out further if you can) and this is a good photograph.

Interesting. It's like we're looking at completely different pictures.

I actually had the same impressions before even reading your comment. 3 and 5 are good, the rest are bloody useless. Good eye, haha.

Or maybe you just don't have good taste or a good eye? Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of men.

That is certainly possible. Or there's the common theory that I just automatically praise tripfags.

High fives for people with taste!
Sorry if we're being too critical, OP.
When people post they should really state what kind of criticism they want. My knee-jerk reaction is always to explain the (massive) failure without saying what the poster did right.

Please, being too critical is the saving grace of this board.

I like these. They're very simple, I guess you could call them "snapshots," but they're good. Nothing wrong with simple black and white Leica snapshots. That's pretty much what Cartier-Bresson did.

Wish I had more face, but it's still pretty cool.
>>156953
Cool.
>>156968
Kinda neat... probably coulda used a crop. With that Leica resolution, you could get one, too.

I'm happy with any kind of constructive feedback. your feedback is far from useful. a few photos are tilted or framed loosely on purpose.

yeah, that's a bit what I aim at.

but, what do you define a snapshot as exactly?

I have a huge Elliott Erwitt book called Snapshots. I believe it sold for $75 new, heh. Snapshots are win.
