And heres what I got to work out of the mid exposure pic (No HDR or funny business, mostly contrast and some selective masking)
I know its not perfect, Its a 3:1 ratio though, so when I print it i'll edit the horizon better.

Tech specs would be...
D200 with a Sigma 10-20mm at 14mm
ISO 100, F8, 1/180th, 10 pictures

Exposed to save the highlights in the sky mostly, The ground ended up about 1.5 stops darker than it is now, but At ISO 100 its easy to push up.

Editing involved seperating the sky and ground (hence the issues with the horizon in this pic) And playing with the contrast and brightness. And thats all I did, Oh I toned down the red + yellow saturation a bit, it looked too fake.

The Lighting is what made this pic (Taken at 5:30 PM) 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after it was a pretty dreary overcast, So I got there just at the right time.

Also Lens flare is too hard to remove lol, so I left it in.

Meh one stop won't make or break a picture, It just compounds the noise a bit.

I always seem to find an excuse to take panoramics, I've already got a few 12x36 sized frames, Thank God for Costco's ridiculously cheap prints!

I'm baaack! And with an IR pano of the same location, I had to go early this morning to avoid the sun bein gin the frame (Infrared modded camera's get nasty nasty reflections from the IR light bouncing around inside the lens)

ANYWAY, its not as good as the visible light shot, but I still like it!

Specs
IR Modified D70
ISO 200
1/180mm F8
Sigma 24mm F1.8 @ 24mm (big suprise)
18 shots stitched together (6x3)

Cropped quite a bit from that, The slight perspective difference is from the radical differences in focal length. Also I couldn't do the typical channel swap because the blue channel was pretty empty, So I left it as is. I converted it to B+W but its just not as fun!

In Canada, British Columbia, City is Kelowna, Picture is taken from a park on top of Dilworth mountain.

Near the middle but on right hand side of this pic you can see a large cliff (Well a rocky cliff, Its bigger than the pic shows) Thats where I took the pic from.
