Hey, I know this might sound stupid (I'm not really all that into photography, but I do use my camera quite often) I have a Sony CyberShot DCS-W70 And I recently got a smudge on the lens, I'm sure from accidentally touching it. Anywho, I'm afraid of it causing incorrect focusing, so I was wondering what can I use to easily and quickly wipe it off, I'm talking about like windex on a soft fabric or something...

Am I completely retarded? Some help would be nice.

THANKS!

Just use lens paper if you have..if not, its a P&S, use a soft cloth. U know, those microfiber clothes....those work fine. Or just your t-shirt.
Thats what I did for my P&S

I use a cleaning cloth I had lying around from the optometrist as a lens cloth. Works great. T-shirt will work in a pinch, though.

OP here, Its got oil from my skin on it, so just giving it a rub doesn't work too well, would it be safe to use glass cleaner on the lens? That wouldn't damage it or anything?

Use an eyeglass cleaning cloth. Same thing professionals use to clean their lenses with a different label smacked on it.

Oil ought to come off with that.

Op Here, Thanks for the help everyone.

Photography seems like the only board that still has decency on 4chan.

4chan never had decency. This is just the least evil board.

Also, Ironically, I noticed both pictures I posted are aimed at where I was standing while taking the other, weird.

Sadly not in the Netherlands. I've been searching all over, and only found two buildings so far. : [ We're too full, every space gets used so it's really odd to have an empty building.
Love urban exploring myself as well though.

I'm on the central east coast of the US.
Its amazing over here, factorys, hospitals (as one of such is pictured), institutes, schools, houses, If I ever start taking more aesthetically pleasing photographs, I'll be sure to post them.
