Wrong focus is wrong, if it's intentional, it's fail.

And not sharp enough even after resized.

Technical:
* Blurry. 1/10th is probably too slow to handhold when shooting a live subject--the in-body IS might help you, but it won't keep him from moving.
* Poor focus. Should've focused on his eye, not the side of his head. His hair's reasonably in focus, but his actual face isn't.
* Bad lighting. I'm guessing a monitor on his face? Most of him is kind of orange from the Tungsten I assume is lighting the room, with a weird blue glow on his face from the monitor.

Artistic:
* Boring subject. The only thing interesting about this shot if you don't know the guy is the goofy expression on his face, and you can't really even see that well through the motion blur.
* Background is very, very messy and distracting
* Side-view like this isn't a very good angle for a portrait. The classic 3/4ths profile would've been better.

Technically better. Still a boring snapshot, though.

That's noisy as fuck even for 1600.

super be uber portrait class in 2 seconds:
1. 3/4 perspective.
2. soft medium high fill light just a bit off center
3. a bit harder opposite side key light.
4. make sure light is bright and specular in the eye is present.
5. shoulders turned 30 degrees from head

There. That is the formula for portrait of win, or at least walmart. If you want something for myspace, do everything exactly opposite.
