Hell on earth Anonymous
I recently moved to a city in North-East China. I remember before comming here I read an article by a traveller who had been there for two days, describing it as hell on earth. That's the feeling I tried to capture with this pic.

There are more then 1 million people living in this nowhere. Pit's ok, it's the huge tunnels they dug under the city that tend to cause problems. And the smog is horrible. I bought my camera here and first thought it faulty. Then I travelled around a bit...

uargh. welcome to your lung problems then. china in general is a shithole regarding air quality. I lived in shanghai for about a year and every single day felt like getting choked to death, so I think I can relate to the air in fushun somewhat. but could be worse... you could be living in linfen, shanxi province. now this is a place I wouldn´t evne want to send my worst enemy to.

Sounds healthy yeah.

They had a lot of riots in the country side lately. Farmers are complaining their fields don't yield any crops anymore because of the heavy polution.

pro tip: if you move to an industrial center and complain about it, its your own fault. Move to somewhere nicer obv.

I use to live in Lin'an, Zhejiang province ??? ???? Its a beautiful little city, clean air and beautiful sky. No matter where you go thats got large scale industrial centers and cities more than 6million ppl, pollution is always an issue.
i've been to Liaoning province were you are, and it is a pretty heavy industrialized province, especially with the coal pits as mentioned.
I've also been to shanxi ??, its not too bad there, some places are pretty damn bad, but over all, the whole province isn't as bad as ppl may think it is. As for Shanghai, lol what do you expect from a city of 12 or so million.

i really urge you to travel away from the big cities and industrial zones and see the hidden beauty, you will surprise yourself.

I agree, though. but I had to stay in china for work etc, so only trips to suzhou and the like were possible. it´s nice there, though.

this here is some small village where some farmers tried to rip me off because I am uropean. wanted to take me to some trip, to show me the "real ancient ruins". yeah, right. villages in china are nice. no water nor sewage, but fucking awesum.
