Hello /p/,

I need a cheap, full-frame fisheye for interior shots. None of this "screw ontop of your existing lens" shit. I know /p/ mostly hates them, but could anyone be kind enough to point me in the direction of one under $150?

In return, I promise I will never use it to take any shitty, pseudo-candid, tilted hipster shots of garbage cans or vending machines. I have a purely utilitarian need to get all or most of a room in frame (Documenting abandoned military bases).

In return, aforementioned military bases.

The widest lens I've got (19-35), has too much distortion to do a panorama without taking a fuckload of incremental shots. It's a Tokina, lol.

There has to be someone trying to sell one. I checked eBay, but didn't find anything but the screw-ontop circular fisheyes.

Does not exist.

As soon as you're ready to spend more of your allowance, I'd suggest the Sigma 10-20. It corrects most of the lens curvature and won't give you faggy fisheye distortion.

So do they just price these fucking things based on their appeal? Or does it really take $300 more to make a fisheye than it does a Tokina wide-angle?

Fuck that shit, imma steal one.

A Tokina wide-angle is a piece of shit, that's why you have so much distortion. Lenses that correct that are hard to make.

No you won't, you pussy.

Thank you. I realized that a day after I bought it. It's all I have ATM.

Yeah, you're probably right. :(

The Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 fisheye usually runs for $200 or so and has passable quality, may want to look into that.

You don't need a wide to do a panorama. You could theoretically do one with a 1200mm lens on a Four-Thirds camera, if you were really careful and really patient and had a really good tripod.

Just get a typically good 50mm and go to town.
