Not if you're working for a clothing company's website.

...Are you?
>> Anonymous
they arent bad.
kind of boring.
if your working for a company then you should try a tighter crop.

They are product shots for a clothing company, yeah.

Any suggestions on how to make them more interesting? I guess more dynamic backgrounds or something? I know they're kind of boring and I'd like to fix that the next time I have to shoot stuff like this...

They're models, they're not there just to look good. Make them pose a little, put a little direction into your shots. I know they're standard clothing shots, but you might want to make your models at least a little more interesting. Good choice of background, maybe try a prop or two. Go with something that would really help the mood your employer's trying to get marketing-wise.

Also (just thought of something else to add), apathy is a shitty emotion for a model to convey. Get some emotion out of 'em.

I honestly disagree with srs critique fag, if it's for clothing and not being put in a magazine, then your pictures are great. I love the backgrounds. But once in a while getting the models to smile or show more emotion for a shot would be great too, just not every shot. I'm looking at the clothes, and usually could care less about the models.

I agree, also, focal point is a bit simple; first thing your guided to is the model because she's in the centre.

Confidence is always a good emotion to show if your selling clothes
>> Anonymous
>>223493here,

and also, I agree that the crops should be a lot tighter.
>> Anonymous
some emotion would be good, the models look bored.
the background is great, nothing distracting from the clothes, maybe go with a wider aperture if you can so you could get the graffiti a bit more blurry, but then you might have the problem of thinking WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT SAY!
i think a good playful smile would be wonderful for these kinds of kind of goofy shirts

I agree that you need to get her to move and pose a little more. Maybe include more people in the scene and advertise more than one product at a time and try to get a scene out of it that still advertises the apparel well instead of it just being a girl standing there.

Would be good if there were other people in the photo, but with duller clothes so that she stands out

leaves me thinking i want to see her face, whats her face like. i didnt really focus on the clothes but my sense of fashion consist of a band shirt and dickies or my purple pe shorts......
>> Pentard !pjwjmEQ1RM
Thanks for the comments, guys.

I'll try getting her to be a little more expressive next time (her smile is weird so I may just ask he to try to look more fierce or something) and try to get her to change up her poses a bit. Also try to get some more dynamic backgrounds and play with focal distances.

a "weird" smile can actually be a good thing, but variety is basically what you need more of.

Also something I just noticed...she looks exactly like an older version of a girl I know.

i'm jealous if you're working for gama-go, do they give you free clotheses

incredibly.
