Sup /p/I have a little problem. For some reason, my D70 started naming the files with a "_" before the "DSC". Before it was "DSC_2359" now, for some reason, it's "_DSC2359". It still happens even I format the CF card, so I s'posse it's a camera setting. How do I reverse it back the way it was?EXIF data available. >>242881Yes, I changed sRGB to Abode RGB. May I ask, why does the camera change the names of the files when you change this setting? Also, does it matter what I select on-camera, since I shot RAW?
>>242885does nto matter what you shot on camera, as your camera captures more color range than Adobe RGB and sRGB. What matters is what you select in your raw editing program. Also, sRGB = better for web and better for portraits since you have a greater range of skin tonesAdobe RGB = better for things with lots of different colorssimple analogy: Adobe RGB = box of crayons with lots of different colorssRGB = box of crayons with less colors, but more variations of those colors
>>Many professional photographers and publications have standardized on Adobe RGB, this ability is now expected of almost all digital SLR's. The D70 uses a different filename mask for Adobe RGB images, they begin with "_DSC" instead of the normal "DSC_". They are also now embedded with the Adobe RGB color profile, this means that color space aware applications such as Adobe Photoshop immediately recognize and apply the correct color profile.I see!Stick with sRGB unless you need Adobe RGB's bigger green gamut. Not to mention the colour difference for Adobe RGB when viewed in a browser.
>>242885I solved your problem and>>242888has the correct explanation.
>>242894>>242888Thanks.I guess that the jpg files (I shot RAW+jpg) actually will be affected by the change, right? Also, any way to rename quickly 500+ archives? :(
