its fine, but here is how it could be better:

the part of the window out of the picture by photographing her more to the left side and both benches out of focus forms visible on the background with no parts of them touching her, also the rest of her arm in the photo.

I totally disagree. As posted originally the shot is better

why does the big chunk of light on the top right corner and the touching between the background objects and main subject make it better? in my opinion and in this kind of photos they don't : (

then crop your photos that way. I don't care. It's just that I won't like them. However I'm astonished that you think that's better.

Well it would be pretty boring if we all had the same taste ;)

I would have to agree about taking out the window, as it makes the image a bit off-balance. I've also been taught to make sure that objects in the background aren't touching the subject, as it makes it appear that they are sticking out from the subject. Other than that it's a lovely picture.

I'm voting with the leave-the-window-in crowd. I don't find it distracting and it makes the shot seem more... I dunno, open? Like I think it should be left in for the same reasons you'd want to leave an actual window in an actual wall. It is bright and cheerful.

with window looks like shes resting and reflecting, croped so its without window looks like shes inspecting her cuticles

>>260045
i think she looks like she is inspecting her cuticles anyway, the model should be looking elsewhere

>i think she looks like she is inspecting her cuticles anyway,

yeah
why have her look @ her hands?

wrecks an other wise good shot!
