Get over yourself. I don't use high-end strobes because I can't afford them and don't have access to any, but I use continuous lighting pretty often and I understand lighting just fine, thanks.

Portrait-style lighting? You mean there's only a single type of portrait lighting? Because I'm pretty sure that's not the case. What do I use for a flash when I'm on the move? Usually nothing because if I'm "on the move" then I'm probably shooting street or just don't really need it. Available lighting is just fine for stuff like that and creates more mood if used properly than any rushed lighting setup you could muster "on the move"
