coming home at 4:30 in the morning. Saw a tree and actually got the urge to drive back to it and snap it. Shame I couldn't completely wash out the grocery store in the background. Also might ps out the little limb on the side. 22 second exposure, but needed a levels and saturation bump post.

Alright for amature?

Agreed. If you could shoop out the building, and then try and even out/blend the light sources in the background a bit more I'd absolutely love this shot.

Also, I'd say leave in the branch on the side, the tree looks just fine the way it is.

Thanks all. Anyone else tend to bounce between highly focused and unfocused photos? (subject wise) I'm trying to work on getting good photos that don't force the eye in a particular direction. It just personally bugs me when my eye is forced on a point due to focus or strong lines in the composition. It hurts to look at them, as artistic as it may be. However, the flip side is no focus looks like a generic desktop background or a stock photo with little artistic value.

I've been trying to use more telephoto to flatten things just enough your brain doesn't have to interpret perspective and distortion as much. I think this lends to a more mellow feel to a photo. Any opinions on 'just enough focus'?
