>>107659 In that case, buy a cheap P&S camera. If you get one that you can attach a filter to (e.g., canon's A-series, with an adapter) you can get a Hoya R72 for it and use it for IR that way. P&S cameras tend to be better for that than unmodified SLRs due to less infrared filtration over the sensor. Then, when you realize you're bored of infrared, you'll still have a reasonably nice point & shoot camera you can take to parties and stuff and you won't have wasted around a thousand bucks on an SLR that's only useful for one artistic gimmick.
