I'm an amateur photographer and have a Nikon d40 d-slr as my camera. Was wondering what you guys thought of some of my photos. Heres my favorite one.

1. Resize. At least the pic isn't 4mb, but we don't need all those pixels.
2. Focus.
3. This shot might be better if you stepped back a ways. Might. Depends on what else is there, of course. It looks like you might have a natural sense of decent composition so look at your shots from different perspectives and see what you get.
4. Get out of auto. It will only help you in the long run.

FUCKING RESIZE. And what exactly the hell were you focusing on? Nothing? It was nothing, wasn't it?

Compositionally, you don't have the right amount of tree in the shot. Either get much closer and try to get just a small part of the tree in great detail, or pull back a bit so you don't crop off the tip of the leftmost branches.

The posts might have been a nice repeating element, but you clipped one of those on the left, too.

So you implied you had more photos. Gonna post 'em?
