he, /p/ how would I convince a friend (girl) to model nude , completly art related, and not sound perverted
<-------- Not friend....
>> Anonymous
have you ever shot anyone nude before? if so ask her and show her the pics to prove you're being serious and not just a perv
>> Anonymous
Persistence.

The key is to get your foot in the door. Keep taking pictures of her, all the time. Convince her to let you take some cleavage shots. Then maybe bathing suit shots. Then lingerie. Nude's a very short step from there.

lol you know i never thought of it so systematically like that, although i wonder if taking the cleavage shots is the way to start going about it, i'll have to try that sometime
>> Anonymous
give her money
its what girls like

this man, sadly, speaks the truth
>> Anonymous
Tell her it's for art and that you won't put it on the internet. Then post it here.

this one always works

Just call it "glamour" and show her some tasteful examples to woo her. Girls all want to be models, regardless of what they say

>> Anonymous

>> Anonymous
Promise not to put it on the internet (aka Lie)
>> Anonymous
Don't forget to tell her you won't jack off to it.
>> Anonymous
>>80872

at least too often :P saying you won't jack off ever makes you sound like a liar :D
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
i.e. considering you're on 4chan and you dont' seem to be interested in model photography at all, you don't.
>> Anonymous
i find it totally ironic that i posted
>>80777

>>80841
and last night i just asked someone to model for me this weekend and they offered nudes (no lies) weird...
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
>>80910

some models are just plain comfortable with it, and comfortable with the photographer. I've gotten the same thing with my model, but i made it clear that they're artistic/would be a goddess type theme, photos may possibly be used in both our portfolios, but otherwise it's between the two of us.

OP-if they arent comfortable with you taking the pictures, then never push. If she's comfortable in doing so, she'll let you know and offer to pose. Push it beyond that and you're just a perv and will come off as such.

She offered to do nudes and you refused?
I would've thought the first woman of /s would jump at the oppurtunity. ;)
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
>>80918

I didn't refuse, we need to decide what we're going to do for it, and when we have time. I need inside lighting equipment and some other gear before I do anything.

>>80923
Oh, I see. That's awesome.
Better start reading strobist. :P
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
>>80924

nah, i'll wing it like i always do and it'll turn out awesome ;)
>> thefamilyman !!rTVzm2BgTOa
>>80924
i'm going to get laughed at or something, but whats the 'strobist'? i always here it on /p/ and everyone except for me seems to know about it.

It's a blog about off-camera lighting. The emphasis is on minimal equipment, i.e. one or two flashes like the sb-800's and associated equipment. Lots of diy fixes for things. I found it when I was looking up info on macro studios. It has grown in popularity very quickly.
>>80926
Oh I'm sure. It's quite enjoyable reading though, nm the technical stuff.
>> Thumper !VFtk2VroH6
>>80927
Massive blog about lighting, of all things. There's a blog about everything I suppose.
>> Thumper !VFtk2VroH6

Way to render my humble post redundant :P

swt thanks, i'll look it up when i can be bothered.
now where can i get this "minimal equipment" like "one or two flashes like the sb-800's"
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
When we do this, it needs to be dark out (night) and I only want 1 or 2 lights, very minimal and very soft. I already know what I want, just need the equipment to do it. May make use of some lamps in the house instead, we'll see :D

one of these days, going by instinct like i do is going to come back and bite me in the ass, but for now it works!
>> elf_man !fBgo7jDjms
>>80931
Go to the blog. They have all kinds of links and recommendations for equipment, and for saving yourself money.
>> thefamilyman !!rTVzm2BgTOa
>>80933
lol i was making fun of your "minimal equipment" quote, not many ppl have spare cash for a SB800 let alone for two!
i already have a SB600 and a SC28 cable, i'm happy with that :)
>> elf_man !fBgo7jDjms
>>80932
No worries. I know you work different than most, and what you're describing certainly sounds appropriate.
For soft light they have some interesting ideas on diy diffusers, softboxes, and things like that. Stuff that would even make your on camera flash more useful.
>> elf_man !fBgo7jDjms
>>80935
Oh I see. Yeah, minimal in terms of amount of gear.
>> Anonymous
>>80932
This is somewhere where your filmfagaliciousness will be a big hindrance. If you're working with off camera flashes, it takes a *lot* of experience to get the lighting just right if you can't just chimp afterwards. Your best bet would probably be to get some big work lights from Home Depot or something for cheap continuous lighting. And I probably don't need to tell you this, but make sure you're using daylight-balanced film (or B&W).
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
>>80938

i'll check that out, thanks. and Yeah, i'm not looking for strobes or flashes, just soft lighting/lightboxes. All of this isnt' really pro, it's more experimental than anything. If it turns out, it does. If not, then oh well. I've done a bit of in-studio work before but it wasn't anything too complicated.
