just dug out my old SRT 201, Minolta 16, and x700.

I fucking love film cameras and shat a brick when i remember how they were built compared to today's plastic dslrs.

Who of you guys simply like how old school film slrs feel?

i also got a 500/8, 70-210/4, a rokkor macro lens, and a few primes (135/2.8, 50/1.4//50/1.7, and 28/2.8.)

quick question SLR /p/hags:

the SRT 201 takes a Mercury 625.

Will a PX625A be the same?

It'll be work, but you'll have to adjust your ASA settings to get accurate meter readings.

I like the feel of this one, even if it's pure crap and is plastic. It's a Time Camera equivalent, with a minor bit of control (aperture range from F6 to F16). The shutter-cocking lever action rocks.

I find old cameras fun, even if they happen to be junk.

Mechanical SLRs ftw.

Nice! Where'd you find that pice of shit?

Pff. Old minolta lenses on a new olympus system? Two kinds of fail right there.

Win is M42 screw-mount lenses (Super-Takumars for EPIC WIN) on Canon EF.

More win is Super-Multi-Coated Takumars on a Spotmatic F.

Or the Olympus OM1md I just got in. Or the Pentax MX I always take with me. Or the Miranda F, with it's exchangeable viewfinders.

I shoot a mix of Super-, Super-Multi-Coated and SMC on my Spotmatic. (original). It's awesome.

It was just lost among a pile of rubbish in one of my house's amazingly cluttered closets, among IBM pre-microcomputer era computer parts and circuitboards.

Turns out my (bitch) aunt gave it to my eldest brother around 25 years ago.
