f/10, well done, god damn. Love it as much as ever dude, you're incredible at setting these scenes up.
>> Anonymous
That's pretty good. Almost like an advertisement. But the colors are a little too undersaturated.

Love it.

So agreed.

Ya I prefer this one to the hawaiin shirt version.

This pic is awesome haha

badass, sweet lighting :)

Reminds me of some of the pictures of Mindless Self Indulgence... It'd make a crazy awesome band picture.

sorry for being newfag, but how the fuck you take picture like this?

I like it. Would you mind providing at least hints on how to set up something like this (group photo inside a car that doesn't suck)?
>> Jesus !1EQ.kCAg9c

IIRC, it involves shooping out the shadows and highlights and then drawing them back in.

I thought that pskaught opened the raw file in notepad, applied filters in his head and drew every individual pixel in MSpaint, then saved as JPEG, finally adding in the EXIF data, once again using notepad.
>> Anonymous
>>169140
He doesn't need notepad, he inserts 0s and 1s using an USB cable attached to his head.

how did you do this? im a newfag
but i know that a f/10 would take a really dark picture, along with only a 200/s shutter

so what kind of lightenin did you use?
>> Anonymous
Some say his pre-visualization is so strong he doesn't have to remove lens cap when shooting the picture, and if he did, interference would cause a tibetan madala appear in the image. All we know, is that he is know as pskaught.

This is fucking incredible.

lens is the L series. I was given another strobe kit to hang on to. a norman 2000 pack, w/3 heads and goodies.

Jesus fuck that is a lot of lites.
Image has a weird HRD quality to it.
I guess from lack of color saturation.

Looks like an ad for a FOX sitcom about carpooling.
>> pskaught !zkraGArAss
>>169246
don't go lumping me into the hdr pile.

This really my favorite imps picture so far. everything looks like I wanted it to, the plastic quality isn't really super obvious and most people have trouble finding the girl.
>> Anonymous
>>169275
Yeah, this is definately professional quality. Are these actors or just friends? Because they are just perfect.

The one that is in the front left?!?
>> pskaught !zkraGArAss
>>169281
They're all friends, I'm one of them, but the driver is an "actor" who does commercials and V.O. work. I used the capture one software on this, its fucking awesome. Who needs cf cards when you can plug right into the laptop and get a detailed histogram and full rez picture. Though my trial is up. SO, if anyone knows of any capture software thats free...

im gonna be real, this is a great photo. if i had to take a guess you up'd the highlights and contrast a bit, maybe some individual tone mapping. I dont think its desaturated, maybe just a little less vibrancy. Not sure about the light setup though.

dude, tell me about it. I'm the only imp who knows how to use photoshop. I wish I didn't have to do all the designing. I would love to leave it for a pro. any takers, I have no design experience.

>>169318
I did, and it didn't, or I don't think it did. I lost the disk.

>>169332
I had to go on the dash. In order to shoot through the windshield I would have had to black out any glare, and in return lose any ability to light from the front.

>> Anonymous
Hey pskaught,

I know what I like about this image and all, but what do you DISLIKE about this image?

I invariably find that I hate something about virtually every art project I finish (something slightly less than perfect, not quite what I imagined, etc) and I'm curious about what you dislike about an image that is fairly universally liked by the posters on this board.
>> Anonymous
Heh, if I were to pick something I dislike about this image, it would be that the car is so obviously parked because of what I can see outside the windows. I wanna see some road and traffic back there!
>> Anonymous
>>169493

Hmm. Not pskaught, but a good comment nonetheless.
I think doing a shot like this while driving would have been ridiculously difficult and wouldn't really add anything to the image, but doing it in an empty parking lot or perhaps in the parking lot of a diner or truck stop would have added to the story.
>> pskaught !zkraGArAss
>>169484

I dislike that I'm still in them, but the only thing that bugs me is that it isn't perfectly centered, the camera got budged a little while taking them. This one I'm really satisfied though. We thought about the background, and tried to cover as much as we could with bodies, a process trailer is obviously out of the budget and a little too much for a single frame.

>>169496
Thats a pretty good idea though, maybe a costco or church back there.
>> Anonymous
>>169508
You don't like being in them?

One option would be to shoot seperate frames while on a highway and shoop them into the windows.
>> pskaught !zkraGArAss
>>169521
I try to keep the shooping to a minimum when I can. I reserve the plate shots for animals.

he got butt hurt in a thread when ppl called him out on his work and then "went away" for a while.

i cant remember what it was about exactly but he wouldn't show a non shopped version of any photos or something like that.
>> Anonymous
>>170268

Dont bother asking, he wont explain the process or show the stages of how he works in photoshop.
>> Anonymous
>>170273

>> Anonymous

How about you create your own style.

>> Anonymous
>>170285

wait? Are you under the impression that this is an original style created by this guy?....oh wow.
>> Anonymous
>>170302
Nope, I just don't wanna see a flood of this look here. It would be worse than the HDR crap and there needs to be some variety...
>> Anonymous
>>170271
>he got butt hurt in a thread when ppl called him out on his work and then "went away" for a while.

This is a gross distortion of events. There's nothing indicating he "'went away.'" It's seems like he was probably busy- considering the amount of new work he has up on his site, a gallery show coming up, and his job- and decided not to waste his time on /p/, getting berated by Internet Assholes. See

>posting out of boredom
>Unemployed until sunday, bored as fuck

Also, I think pskaught posted/posts as anonymous when we don't need to know it's him, like when he's posting pictures or giving lighting advice to someone.
>i cant remember what it was about exactly but he wouldn't show a non shopped version of any photos or something like that.

Why should he? It doesn't matter to the finished work; showing it would only take away from it. And everyone wants to rip the look, which just isn't healthy.
