Realistically what is the cheapest way to go digital full frame?

Probably a Contax N Digital. First full-frame DSLR, supposedly good camera body, but it died fast because of a shitty sensor: lots of noise above ISO 100, the lowest ISO available being 25.

Also Kodak DCS Pro, another early full frame DSLR, really slow in use IIRC.

For something that's actually usable (Kodaks are probably slow as shit, the Contax N Digital had terrible reviews upon release), you're probably best off with a 5D. Full frame is expensive, sorry.
