So, /p/eople, when and where do you go to take pictures? Most of you have SLRs, right? They aren't exactly easy to keep on you at all times for total spontaneity, so I assume you set aside time to go to a specific place and take photos. My question is when and where for you personally?

I carry my DSLR and 2 lenses (f1.4 fixed, 80-200 zoom) at all times. It was annoying for he first month or so, but I've gotten some amazing shots just by having it with me all the time.

What kind of case/bag do you have?
>> BurtGummer
I carry my dslr and a couple of lens' around with me if im just out and about, swapping to a point and shoot for situations where my dslr might get fucked up.

DSLR = Go shooting in cities mainly, lots of shadows and sharp edges there, lots of movement.

P.A.S. = Punk gigs, dusty enviroments, and anything near water.

i used to carry my 350D all the time, but now that i replaced my kit lens with the Sigma 18-200 not so much.

on OP's question usually to school and when there are big tests that day. people cramming under pressure is fun to photograph. also, just having their pic taken seems to cheer them up after the huge test.

I carry my 400D in my purse most of the time with a nifty fifty on it. It helps having a bag big enough to store a small country in.

I see backpacks that look like that all the time. Where have you been since the late 1990s?

I'm a /fa/ native, dumbass.
And being fashionable or not is irrelevant, I think it's ugly as sin but my statement still stands; backpacks like that have been common since the late 1990s. They were ugly then too.

getting it as a present without any occasion really, still was fine.

i throw my camera + 50mm f/1.4 in a backpack and just keep it on my passengers seat.

I only have a point and shoot but I leave it at home most of the time because it's too bulky to carry around in my pocket all the time.
