should mention the last one was a 4 X shot X vertical handheld @ 30mm, metered off the sky.

sorry no proper exif as im using elements to assemble them but ill try fill ya in.

all are resized to ~ 1/4of their orignal pixel size so x pixels by 4 to figure it out...

these are great, I wish there were places even remotely as interesting to shoot around here.

Where were these taken?

uh, new zealand is a rough guide.

to be more specific in auckland its out by the airport and its an old maori site where they used to have a village, hence all the walls etc, id have to assume all the rocks on teh ground are collapsed building or just rocks exposed over time?

the first shot is looking sorta around the site, i had another couple of pano's but i buggered up the metering and so the blending was butch as...

2nd shot is a small beach looking across the harbour, same as 3rd shot but more to the left and back a bit and wider(30mm instead of 85mm)

the last shot is looking across the manukau harbour towards... guess what, the manukau heads ;P

ive included a quick map to give you an idea...

red arrow and surrounding clear white area is the park where i was.

green arrow sorta shows the FOV of my big pano.
will post some more shots next.

oh, that map is slightly off, i forgot a couple of pics on the right-hand side so its slightly less...

another shot looking across the site and over the harbour.

its funny, the whole time i was walking round here i was thinking "lol age of empires, imagine how many castles i could build with all this stone" "its over 9000 stone"
thats when you know youve been on 4chan too long >_<

ok
>>194541
sucks
you definately need atleast 3 rows for that i would think?
its just too long and not tall enough.
the far right has a pretty bad stitching job as well

yea thing is there's nothing interesting above or below it, just sky and muddy seabed...

i just liked this one cos its very "im king of this castle" but what you couldnt see is his 3 "henchman" standing on the other side, was pretty funny :)

Only the panos are interesting. I would throw 2 of the last 3 individual shots into a diptych and leave it at that.

>>194541
Not bad, but unprintable, unviewable, and the right side is blow out. No one wants to see all 180 degrees of fucking horizon.

I got a 1:7 pano printed. Shit sucked. Don't even think about selling prints of that. Pic fucking related.

You should seriously consider getting some nd filters or curves to make the ground lighter. Kinda like all of these shots though. A bit boring but still quite cool somehow.

Ya 3:1 = magic Pano ratio, Its the cheapest by far to print, and it frames quite nicely (And cheaply if you do 12x36" prints)
Not to one up you, but 14 pics is nothing, 3x6 = my norm, (18 pics). Think about layering vertical rows aswell.

The pictures are decent, however theres too much loss of detail in the shadows especially the second one. And when you shoot wide angle landscapes try to make sure theres something interesting in the foreground.
>> I||ICIT !!mknjFN/v/49
cheers for the advice guys, will try a higher vertical ratio next time.
>> p-_^t
i really enjoy the last one
