hey guys i have a problem.
I recently bought a sony cybershot w30 and I used it for about 4 months. I was using it yesterday when suddenly I accidentally dropped it in the floor. To my horror its not working anymore. I looked at the battery and the lock inside dropped and the battery can't be inserted properly because the lock has been detached. Is the lock mechanism has anything to do with the power switch of the camera?Does this problem have any solutions? Or am I screwed for good? Please, I need an honest answer. Thanks.

You might be lucky, the lock you are talking about might just complete the battery connection, so it could be a simple fix. Not sure how you would go about fixing it, Post pics of it (if you have another camera) And we might be able to help, but otherwise see if your warranty will cover it (if theres no drop scratches, dents or anything)

I recently took in an abused Nikon D50 for warranty (28,000 pics on it in 10 months) And they listed it in "good condition" because all they do is check for scratches and dents from the camera being dropped
