I disagree, but I'm terribly bored so I experiment with CS3 to pass the time. Why don't you have a go at it, sageing Anonymous.

Original is better. It has a gritty feel.

Learn to take criticism.
Your shop's horrible, original is way better.
Really, just don't shop anything unless you're specifically asked to do it.
Wtf do you think you're doing, adding a new sky, new reflections, etcetera? Heck, if you're going to take random pictures off the internet to put in yours, you'd better stop being a /p/hotographer in the first place. Because you don't seem to understand what photography is about.

>Learn to take criticism.
I take (constructive) criticism just fine, thank you.
>Your shop's horrible, original is way better.
That's your opinion. Why don't you tell me exactly what you don't like about it, so that we as a community may engage in a serious discussion on how to improve it, for everyones benefit.
>Really, just don't shop anything unless you're specifically asked to do it.
Come on now.
>Wtf do you think you're doing, adding a new sky, new reflections, etcetera? Heck, if you're going to take random pictures off the internet to put in yours, you'd better stop being a /p/hotographer in the first place. Because you don't seem to understand what photography is about.
Please educate me on these finer points of photography I seem to completely forego as a person interrested in improving the visual quality of such. Also, I've personally photographed the sky I used in the mod, and I was modding another persons (quite fine) image, so I don't see how I "take a random picture off the internet and put in mine". Hell, I can't even begin to comprehend what you're trying to convey in your ill-contructed sentance. That's right. I went there - criticising your grammar, even though my spelling is worse than that of a third-grader (English is not my native language).

I prefer photoshop-kun's. Also, I didn't think he was being that much of a dick about taking criticism.

Also, I have no problem with people shopping any photos I post.

i like the shop, it's cool, but i do think the original's better.

the shop is terrible.

in the original photo, the sky is too bland, but rather than putting in clouds, I think a simple crop job is in order. All this negative space is taking away from the subject [the town seems to be the most interesting aspect to me]. I tested some noise despeckling, but that made it look to much like an oil-painting, so I decided against it.

Generally, I hate it when people photoshop colors to be more vivid, it makes the sky unnaturally blue and the grass unnaturally green, and it doesn't look realistic at all. Maybe that has something to do with me preferring subtle desaturations.

The big problem with the shop is the cloud reflection, particularly the edges of the water-lily things; those scream out that the photo's been shooped.

If you want big purdy clouds, you should pay close attention to your weather forecasts. I find that you get the fluffy pretty clouds a day before/after a thunderstorm. And for some reason or another, there always seem to be photogenic clouds around the Rocky Mountain area in Colorado [must have something to do with the altitude, or the mountains]. Everyday I check the sky for clouds.

Now THAT'S criticism we can all enjoy. I realize I went overboard with the modding, and I appreciate your way of doing it too. In retrospect, the way I did it takes most of the attention away from the town, but your crop really puts it back on. I especially like how the crop is accurate to within a pixel near both the tower and it's reflection - you don't get accuracy like that using the viewfinder. Good on ya', mate.

To be fair, when he posted the shop, his comment accompanying it was
>I made it more unrealistic.

It's true, I did say that. But I guess I should've written it in the language of CRUISE CONTROL since people seemed to have difficulty noticing- and/or understanding what that bunch of words ment.
