Well I'm hardly a pro and mostly a hack, so perhaps I don't need it. I have a nice tripod (might sell it and get a monopod instead).. I shoot anything and everything, though landscape, macro, and nature seem to be what I end up taking the most of.. I've done fine without it until now, so.. Hrm. CNet didn't seem to be too pleased with the camera.. They gave it a 7.5.. DPreview.com doesn't have a review yet.. I trust them the most.. Considering what i've got now, I think it would be a huge step forward without a huge price.. I paid nearly the same amount for my S5100 when it was new, and that was the best deal going :p I'm also looking at the Fuji S6500.. I saw mention somewhere that its a good alternative to the 9100, so I'm doing a side-by-side at DPreview.. though i REALLY like that CF & XD feature on the 9100..
