so on most cameras, he sync speed is only 1/200 and even high end cameras these days only have 1/250

that's kind of okay because we can use high speed sync mode on small camera flashes and get decent results even at maximum shutter speed, okay maybe not maximum but at much faster speeds than 1/200

anyway, how exactly do you do this with studio flashes that plug in via PC sync? does it mean you're locked at 1/200 or 1/250 when working with studio flashes?

how would you do the overpowering the sun look with those? close down the aperture by a lot?
