Hay /p/hilmfags

ITT, discuss your favorite film stocks. Color, black and white, negative, reversal, polaroid, glass plates, whatever you like. If it is made of chemicals and win then talk about it here.

My favorite is definitely Plus-X. Absolutely beautiful smooth tones and fine grain, clean and easy to shoot and develop, and a good speed. Agfapan 25 is a close second because it's gorgeous, but a little too slow for everyday use.

Pic related (Plus-X).

1) Go fuck yourself.

2) There are filmtards here, but they post slower. Don't expect massive response in less than 2 hours you shithead.

Tri-X 400 for b/w.
I like Fuji 400H for color, but I usually just buy whatever's cheap at the drugstore.

Kodak BW400CN?
(If you're talking about the 400 speed stuff).

yea, pretty much anything that has a CN or CG or chromogenic in its name is that stuff.

OP, mind telling what was the f and the shutter on this one? I recently got into BW film and when using anything faster than 125 the result is shitty, i think it's the fucking shutter

Depends what you mean by shitty. Post an example pic. Is stuff out of focus, overexposed?

Personally, I find myself being increasingly fond of the results that the Ilford B&W films give, particularly in late afternoon natural light. The faster films have a delicious grain that really gives a more real feel to the shots, almost like it's increasing the mood. Also, Fuji Superia colour I swear by - it's versatile like a motherfucker and gives such good colour balance. Lovely stuff.
