Shot with my Yashica A TLR on Fuji Velvia 100.

I blame the poorly-educated chimps at Delaware Camera for this slide being far below the normal vibrancy one would expect from Velvia. Unfortunately, they're the only place in the area I know of that'll develop E6 or 120, and this was E6 120.

well the water looks fantastic despite everything else being rather dull

I like the colors how they are, to be honest.

The stuff you've been posting lately has been great, ac. Keep up whatever changes/differences in your shooting vibe/whatever that have happened.

This one was my favorite from the roll.

(I'd have started the thread with it, but it takes a long-ass time for my little resize script to churn through a 4800dpi scan of a 6x6cm frame)

Was it really necessary to use a 4800dpi scan to produce a 768x768 image as a result? :]

:-P

I don't scan the pics just for 4chan. I scan them for backup in case something happens to the film, and so I can make prints (the people at Delaware Camera messed up badly the one time I asked them to make prints from my 6x6 negatives, so I've just told them to develop only since then).

Still, a 6x6 negative scanned at 4800 dpi is going to be like 120 megapixels... I doubt that even ISO 50 film has grain so fine that you really need to scan at that resolution, and there's no equipment that can print that anyway (unless you're making a meter-wide poster with photo quality)

I realize that on an intellectual level. And yet...

Going off your flickr, I think this is the nicest shot too. Good angle.

I have the exact same attitude.
