it all depends on what you mean by "worthwhile", anyway. what do you want? money? fame? artistic fulfillment? a career?

I have some news for you! The act of producing something for monetary gain or received services is the very essence of "selling out". Hippie failures and indie bands may suggest otherwise, but it's really nothing to be ashamed of unless you start producing shit at the expense of quality.

And I'm in the same boat with you on whether I'd go to school (photojournalism, perhaps) for this. The looming threat of dwindling jobs is making me hesitant to make such an investment.
