Hey, so I just bought the canon macro ring lite ml-3 for very *very* cheap.

without the control box.

Is there any way to buy the control box seperately?

I poked around and haven't seen anyone just selling replacement controllers.
Not that I should assume this, but since it's 2007, I'm going to assume that you're trying to use it on a DSLR. If this is the case, don't bother trying to find a control box, you can't use this flash on a DSLR.

really? every time I find it listed on websites they say it can be used with eos cameras?

ah well. fuck it.

I paid like four bucks so it's not the end of the world.

BUT I WANT A FUCKING MACRO RING LITE. damnit.

try the generic brands, they're a lot cheaper.

any ones in particular?

generic brands are a mixed bag usually...

You could hack together a control box fairly easily with a suitable off-brand flash. If you picked one up off eBay with a blown tube you could have a working, DSLR-compatible ring flash for, like, forty bucks.
