I'm not familiar with the Nikon menus, are you saying the menus in the picture show AF with the lens?

In any case, DPR uses MF for their camera tests so it doesn't really matter that it doesn't AF.

The D300 only replicates the top LCD, but one thing the main lcd display have is it actually displays the focus point, unlike the top lcd.

the answer is yes, the D300 can do that too. you hit the info button/lock/? button, but it doesnt have the aperture drawing.
