Okay, to reconcile for my harshness (I told you I was nice) just use a higher iso. You can probably get it to 1/30th on 1600 which would produce a noisy, but sharp photo. You can save a noisy photo, but you can't save a blurred one. As for a tripod, I never really use them. But the ones I do use are just cheap standard ones. Probably cost about £30. I've never really wanted to do studio work, but I can imagine a tripod being horribly awkward.
And in regards to the lighting, don't make excuses. If when reviewing you can see the two light types, simply eliminate one of them. Move outside, or pull the curtains.
