Pipes on a flat plane, not too interesting. Try some closeups and more interesting angles.

Also, I find the image's crookedness extremely distracting.

It's not bad. I find this picture really interesting actually.
But try more align stuff actually. Try different views. I know what you are getting at tho. It's the black on white that makes it interesting. Try having close(r) ups from the stuff you see and get good contrasts with object and surroundings.
