Does anyone else on /p/ have any wrist problems? My wrist hurts like hell after I do several hours of photo editing. Sometimes it hurts when I'm out shooting, too.

Does anyone use a wrist strap? I'm seriously considering one. Picture related as I just took some for the pain (but I'm running looooow).

actually,
I smashed my right wrist in a downhill mountain biking accident about 10 years ago. I cant lift shit with it now, have limited movement and its off centered as well. It really doesn't help with my photography especially when holding my F5 with a telephoto, everything comes out wonky.

I have a ganglion cyst on my left wrist
>> elf_man !!DdAnyoDMfCe
That would be the beginnings of a repetitive motion injury. I stuck a pad where my wrist goes when I'm using the mouse, makes it easier to keep my wrist and the back of my hand at the same level. Much easier on the wrist.

Yea, It was a serious problem for me when I first got a speedlite on my digital rebel. Had to get a battery grip, but its still fucking me up. Shooting, mousing and faping.. a whole lot of endeavour for a poor wrist.

I'll give that a try. So it's just from being unlevel? Like resting my arm/wrist on the desk, but having my hand up and titled on the mouse? I had fucking shooting pains up my arm midway to the elbow today.

Also, http://tinyurl.com/2rlweq, although I'm going to have to go to a store and try it first, I think.

Oh yeah, i've got carpal tunnel too. Just dont do it all at once. If it bothers while you're out shooting- maybe you're holding the cam funny?

When'd you get carpal tunnel?
>>124691
Yeah man, one of the best preventative measures you can take. I started getting some sharp pains and pain on movement in my wrist, leveled things out and it went away.
I get some pain in my hand when shooting sometimes, but that's due to gripping and holding the camera at weird angles. Doesn't happen often.

If anyone has a wrist strap, I'd really like to hear your thoughts/experiences with it. Just a bump for that info.

And four tramadols handled the pain today pretty well. :D

i've always had it since you've known me, i just haven't needed the wrist brace lately.

Only thing I can find to use are socks bundled up. That should work I think. I have a lot of slides to scan tomorrow and edit, we'll see how it goes.
