Pump up the DOF to put both the dog fence into focus, which it looks like you're focus is off on the dog. Clip the fur that's covering it's eye as well. That's what people want to look at, not the the fur. Then clean up the dog in general via the magic of photoshop. People do it, get over 'lying through photoshop.' The only time that matters is if you're doing work that is supposed to as real as possible or if you come across a particularly easily to troll idiot who wants to limit himself by refusing to learn how to use photoshop.
Also maybe set it up so there is space bellow and above the dog in the fence gap which you could then burn to true black. Would make the interest spots pop more.
