I think the catcher is in a good spot. However, I don't think it was a good choice to let the bare ground dominate the majority of the foreground and middleground. Maybe taking it from a lower angle would have allowed you to get more blue sky in the frame and less dirt while allowing a more interesting perspective.

perhaps an angle from just to the side of the catcher looking at the pitcher from a lower angle make it look nicer,>>65211is right, the first thing that I noticed was the dirt.
