Need a decent point and shoot Anonymous
Hello /p/hotographers.

Quick question. Im looking for a decent camera for just basic point and shoot activities. You know, Gold Coast Indy, Air Shows, other events that you might take a camera to. I prefer it to have video with sound capability too.

Heres the reason I am here- I need it to be shock resistant. I taped my last camera to my foot and rollerbladed down a mountain. When I got to the bottom the screen read "File format not recognised" and now the video on my old camera displays lines through it.

tl;dr. Can anybody reccommend a decent camera that is shock resistant? Please.

Pic is of the Wheel of Brisbane. Its a crappy pic, hence the reason I need a new camera.

had one (shock/waterproof oly) before i destroyed it (my fault, pushed tolerences too far)

it's great fun, but the novelty comes at a price of slow autofocus and poor image quality. reconsider your need to get such a tank and get an ixus 80 for $200 less for the win (assuming ausfag)
