First one is rather useless, but second is quite win. I just hope the terrible quality is you failing at post-processing, not the photo itself.

I did heavily shoop it. On RAW importation, I know I bumped up the blacks and the contrast, and afterwards I fiddled with the levels a bit. Should I try a bit less severe edit?

If you mean the quality of the image, the camera is sharp as a tack (Lecia-designed lens), so if your're seeing anything it's probably your end. I'm not.

Oh, I know it's nothing like the stuff actually from Leica, but their engineers did design the lens. Show me a point-and-shoot with better glass than the Lumix series. The only ones that might are the Ricoh models.

CA was heavy in that shot for some reason; it's usually rather under control.
