My first post to /p/. Just wanted to see how the EXIF auto-upload works, etc.

I do a lot of this kind of shot - I'm in a car club and we do some roadtrips, etc. Use a Canon G7 and it works great out the sunroof or window...

OK, can someone tell me how to include the EXIF data?
>> Anonymous
you need to save your picture in a way that doesn't destroy your exif data.

what did you use to resize your pic?

Here's another, straight from the camera - it's huge, but I wanted to see if the EXIF comes through if I don't resize it first...

VuePrint, and it looks like you're exactly right - the full-size pic I just posted did include the data.

What do you guys use to resize? Of course PS etc, but if all you're doing is resizing, it's a bit heavy. VuePrint is a simple viewer, and does things simply, but it looks like it kills the EXIF.

i use photoshop. vueprint might not have a way to preserve exif. i'm pretty unfamiliar with it.

using photoshop just to resize your photos is a waste of time and resources.

use picasa.

Irfanview if you're a Windows machine.

eh i dont really find its a waste of time, since i can do it so fast in photoshop anyway, and i dont really get how it wastes resources. plus its always nice to be able to do some last second changes that you might catch in photoshop if thats your program of choice.

ViewPrint is older, at least I've had the same version forever. It made icon thumbnails before Windows did (which was pretty fucking cool at the time), and it's really fast for quick viewing, resizing, etc. But it doesn't animate gif's (displays one frame at a time), and apparently kills EXIF. Probably outdated at this point.

I tried Picasa again, and I couldn't find a resize function. Dug around a fair bit and didn't see it. Where'd I miss it?

DL'd it and I'll give it a whirl for a while.

Thanks fellas.

My dad owns the yellow Daytona. I might buy it from him when I move back to the US :3

Yeah, buy it. They're solid, and great fun to drive. Check out LXforums.com "LX" is the platform that's shared between the Charger, Magnum, and Chrysler 300. Great site, good bunch of folks, lots of info on these cars.
