New Camera Anonymous
My old camera was stolen, an OLYMPUS Stylus 760.

So time for a new camera. What I loved about the Stylus was it's abilty to take a beating (I tend to break technology) and it's lightening quick responses- a couple of seconds to turn on, and the presets were comprensive and logicaly set out.

There have been discussions over picture quality from this range, and occasionally I have been disapointed that my pics aren't as crystal clear as those from friend's cameras.

My impluse is just to get the latest generation, but everytime I browse /p/ there's useful adivce for others, can't hurt to ask! It there a camera that's robust but can offer a half-decent photo?

lol, how we are all spoilt with DSLRs
As for point and shoot, I'd go for Canon myself. Got an old powershot that gives very good pictures for what it is.
Then again theres that Sony I think that is meant to be water, shock and drop proof if you like them tough.

yeah, the power shot's are really good, if not a little chubby... Also, Costco seems to always be selling something that can get stuck up a gay guys ass for a week and still work fine.
