it's not too too much. these are pretty good especially #2. #1 is very red. also in ref to #1: ZOMG TITTAHS

that girl is 15 and just about half of the 300+ people in attendance saw her vagoo.

she was wearing underwear and a bra when she first came in.

and she hardcore dances, which is how people saw that poonanny in the first place.

and one day someone will marry her.

this world is fucked up.

op here again, i totally agree with you about #1, i will get to fixing it.

also, i took these at the same show:

but that thread turned into an iso discussion after somebody hijacked it.
>> Anonymous
>>51985
Yeah. Know why? The other thread was GARBAGE. Here you have 4 rather IMHO good concert photos of an exciting, energetic live band. The last set were a bunch of crying children shot at crappy angles with poor exposures. I'm quite surprised these were even taken by the same person.

>>51996
for the record: the pics in this thread are of the less energetic band.

the main problem with the pics from the other thread is that i really dont think much about shooting when i am watching them. i am jumping around, headbanging, dancing up on chicks, singing along.
with the band from this thread i am more involved in the picture taking process. instead of just running around shooting from the hip i am actually in "photographer mode"

but yeah, after looking at the thriller pictures i am surprised at the difference too.

It's too hard to shoot good pics in teh moshpit with a digital camera, especially crappy old ones. This was Limp Bizkit, taken in June 2001 in Glasgow.

Low-light photography is difficult, but not impossible. I take all my concert photos sans flash (mostly because I don't have a good flash).

A few of mine, if I may. Comments, criticism?

First two shot with my terrible manual focus non-metering Quantaray 70-210 f/4-5.6
Third shot with the Nikon 18-55 kit lens
Last one with the superb Nikon 50 f/1.8

well, if you are going to be shooting a BIG band that plays huge shows like limp bizkit (sp?) or at a fest like warped tour or any BIG concert, you NEEEEED a photographer pass.

i shoot for smaller bands that play small venues/floor shows, so i can get right up with them. doesnt necessarily guarantee good pictures though.

Yesterday I was stuck (long story) with an six year old Powershot G2 to shoot a concert in a small, smoky, crowded venue set up with colored lights that flashed in time with the music. And none of it was even techno, where that's the general custom.

Without a doubt the hardest photographic thing I've ever done, but I got some good photographs out of it. Concert photography is hell.

I found something out, though: the G2's raw file is sixteen bit. Wow.

Pic related; it's the only shot I've processed from it so far. Excuse the lack of EXIF; Photoshop was doing that thing where it makes you jump through hoops to save as a JPEG other than save for web, and I didn't feel like fixing it. Manual exposure, 1/5 second, f/2, ISO 400, focal length 34mm equivalent.

(Not OP)
>> Anonymous
>>52089
Actually, wait, I -think- I shot that with a wide angle convertor attached, and the EXIF just read as that focal length.

That would make it (if I remember correctly) a 25mm equivalent.
