If she didnt have that mole on her chin

i like it. you see photographs done like this by professionals. I never realized thats what they did until you said it (the blurring i mean).

however, your blurs are a little sketchy.
-your right arm and knuckles are blurred, while the rest of these parts are not. be more careful with your brush.
-the wires and the book in the foreground also have some blur, which seems unintentional. you can distinctly see what areas your brush went over (clear separation).

fix these things and you'd be set. on some of these problem areas, perhaps a gradual blur might be more realistic. ease into the blur, just as your eyes would with an increase/decrease in depth.

you could also try to get rid of the lens reflection on your glasses as a fun project.

Attractive OP is attractive. Take another picture and open up that sweater more, surely it's hot in there.

Oh also, the camera is great, blah blah.

Actually, the blurring like that was intentional I just was really lazy with it. I made a new copy of the picture, made the entire picture blurred, then erased it so you could see her underneath.
How would you suggest going about removing the mole, glare, and getting a better gradual soft focus?

Surprisingly sharp for a 1/10th shot. I'm guessing with the 18-55 IS?

1/10th really isn't remarkable at all, especially with IS.
