A friend asked me to take pictures of a church service for a website. I currently have a d80 and an 18-70mm, as for the location, lighting's no problem since there are tons of windows. Any tips?

If you're unfamiliar with what's going to happen, talk to the priest/pastor/reverend/oracle/witchdoctor/etc and ask where you can be, when and what's off limits, a basic rundown of what's going to happen so you know what to pay attention to, that kind of stuff.

You said you have lighting taken care of, but I would still bring fast lenses, tripod and a strobe (again, be sure its allowed though). Otherwise you'd be screwed if it's raining that day and you're getting not nearly the amount of light you expected.
