I can't remember the camera that I used on this. But I know it was around 6.1 mp. So I have two questions

1.) Is this any good?
2.) What do you suggest I should buy (camera wise) but I don't have a lot of money and I want this quality or better and under $300

You're on the right track, no pun intended. It was a Canon A series, as you'll no doubt be suggested by others in /p/. They're good yet economical cameras. Not too fancy style-wise, but often feature-loaded, offering a lot of control for a compact camera.

Yeah, and the colors are flat compared to a Fuji and the focus is soft compared to a Nikon. I wonder what the cheapest full manual Nikon is.
