I'm no expert on Battery bursts, but it seemed to me like it was a relatively recent leak - Didn't look like the battery had been leaking for the last two decades, anyway.
Now, this talk of an adapter - What sort of batteries would I use with it? Sounds like back when I'd use balls of foil to use AAAs in my AA Walkman back in the day..
