ARGB vs SRGB Anonymous
Ok, I'm engaged on an argument over both formats. I say it's better to use sRGB, while the other party claims Adobe RGB is better because of the wider variety of colors.

Shed some light on the subject, /p/, please.

Unless you know why you would use Adobe RGB then ignore it.

Because unless you are a pro, no-one really gives a shit. And obviously you aren't, otherwise you would know about the difference.
Adobe RGB is useful when you want to get your stuff printed in large quantities and order a company to do so. They might work with Adobe as well and the results will be best.

I use a lab that calibrates their machines to sRGB, therefore I shoot in sRGB when I know I'm going to use them to output my images.

I use a printing company for yearbooks that calibrates off of AdobeRGB, therefore I shoot in AdobeRGB when I know my images are going to end up on their printing press.

Arguments over the minutiae of color spaces is a waste of time.
