A few from the past weekend, with OM-2. B&W shot on Kodak 400CN; color on cheapo expired Superia 400. C&C would be greatly appreciated :3

Also, I'm not loving the way prints look coming from my scanner. Could somebody point me towards a decent negative/slide scanner?

I did it rong in the first one. Reloaded the film wonky, and got a ghostly double exposure. I thought it was kinda neat.
Also, lens was 55/1.2 Zuiko, and two ND filters.

Last one. I have a lot more photos of her back than her face. She's not very photogenic.

Kinda neat yeah. I thought you took it inside or something and it was a reflection off the window. Why'd you convert most to B&W? InstaArt? Color might be nicer.

Agreed, but I didn't have much of a choice :<

Yay, OM series! I had my OM-1 for four years.

Nice, my dad bought mine when it debuted in the 70's.

In fact, I asked /p/ where to get it restored, and the consensus was to trash it and buy a pentax K9001.

I'm glad I was ignorant.

Anything cheaper of any value whatsoever? I was actually looking at this Pacific Image Scanner. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/312680-REG/Pacific_Image_PF3650U_Prime_Film_3650u_Film_Scanner

Nice Images by the way Op.

i have a scanner that is made by the same company, and i loathe it. the scanner itself isnt that bad a piece of hardware for the price, but the software makes me want to tear my hair out quite frequently
i'd probably buy a older used scanner off ebay for a similar price instead

There are lots of 3rd party scanner software available if the scanner supports TWAIN (pretty much eveyone does as far as i know).
I've tried most that i could find and i still much prefer the Nikon Scan software. (wonder if this may work with your scanner, its free to download).

So you'd suggest buying a scanner such as the Nikon off of Craigslist or Ebay if a good deal is found? Sounds like you enjoy it. Any drawbacks?

I use to have a Nikon CoolScan V, it was very good i suggest you find one of these secondhand as i'm sure they are fairly cheap now.
Now i use a Nikon Super CoolScan 5000 ED, this is soooooo lovely and a lot faster. especially how that i've got the SA-30 film strip feeder, so i can batch scan a whole uncut roll.
Drawbacks? Expensive and dedicated 35mm only (slides and cut strips or uncut strips with SA-30 attachment).

See if vuescan supports it, I prefer it over all the oem softs I've used.

Cute girl is cute. Good portrait. My only suggestion would be maybe to move her a little bit to the side of the frame rather than dead center

>>153375
I really like this shot for some reason. The shimmeryness of the fish's scales works nicely in B&W.

>>153377
Meh. Boring shot, but I guess it conveys your theme. For "Hammers it home with sledgehammer force" values of "conveys".

>>153378
If this is the same girl as>>153374I'm going to have to say you're full of crap when you say she's not photogenic. If you can't get good pictures of her face, you're just a bad photographer.
