She looks deathly pale. Perfect for the target demographic. Well done.

Also: Moar.
>> OPFOR !8vKpfCqy8A
Thats a great shot. Those leg things look cool.

Here's a different outfit.

Planning on making animated gifs or flash files for her site, making the person look like they are dancing. Will post example if requested (I know this is not the gif forum).

Thanks for the positive feedback ac and opfor.

Needs crop. Too far away.
>> Blackadder !!bSWRwu/NqzQ
What the heck are those things on her legs?
>> NGT
>>110619

Absolutely, still trying to figure out a universal cropping range. Leaning more toward the style of the first image where the head is nearly cut off, and there is lots of negative space at the feet.
>> NGT
>>110621

They are leg warmers commonly seen worn by 'Raver Chicks' at you guessed it...Raves. A friend of mine makes these by hand...They fit over boots and shit...
>> Anonymous
You used some really weird settings on the camera.
>> Blackadder !!bSWRwu/NqzQ
>>110624

Leg warmers? They don't look like they are for practical heating. I've seen warmers for hiking and they didn't look like that. I've never seen anyone with those monstrosities on. Far too impractical for my liking. :P

>>110621

She has stupid elephant feet.

Here's the other 'model' with the same leg warmers from the first image. This was both of their first shoots like this so I'm lucky anything came out...

>>110625

Which settings would you like me to explain?

>>110626

I really don't know what else to call them besides Leg Warmers...I mean I know they aren't practical, but I'm not a female and its not product.
As a product photographer its your job to make the shit look pro, you don't have to like it or use it.

Yeah, these are leg warmers. They're just a continuation of that idea but with "fashion" in mind. A lot of fashion is like that, it starts with a basic practical thing and adds "style" to it.

Cybergoths <3

Why were you shooting at f20? Surely that is on the back side of sharpness?
>> Blackadder !!bSWRwu/NqzQ
"Cybergoths"? Oh good grief.
>> NGT
>>110632

f20 is because the way the shoot works is I had the girls dancing, and I would take my shots on the beat or whenever I wanted. Since they were moving around a lot in terms of how close they were to me, I did not want a narrow depth of field, and I also did not want to have to refocus constantly. I also like the softer look these have, I did some very minimal sharpness tweaking. It is also hard to tell with these small ass 800x600 images Im posting on here but the originals look excellent.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>110632
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. And 1/250th. Which means he's gotta be goddamn *nuking* those young ladies with flash. With lights like that, that nice pale skin is gonna get tanned pretty quickly.

I'd recommend dialing your flashes (and aperture) down a few notches, to around f/8 or so. That's usually around the sharpness sweet-spot for lenses.
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
>>110635
you MF or something, ive never had a problem getting people in focus at f11.

Were you forced at 1/250 because of flash sync? get some ND filters for that (or get HSS flash)
>> NGT
>>110638

The flash setup was all taken care of by the guy that owns the studio. He specifically told me that his lights were setup for 1/250th. I figured the flash sync delay was a limitation in the wireless hardware.
>> NGT
>>110639

Yes Manual Focus, like I said they were moving all over the place...I really don't like shooting with AF....ever....

Yes I need Neutral Density filters. Any recommendations for post processing?

Every self respecting photographer uses MF for studio shoots.
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
>>110647
ok, i dont do any studio work or have no intention of doing it so its AF all the way (sports = af)
>> beethy
on f/8 and MF you should've been fine.. wouldn't have to worry about focus that way.

overall i find the shots a little dull, the first one isn't bad though.
the other 2 are meh.

i had about 2hrs sleep last night, ive not been much of a happy bunny recently.

besides, when claiming you have better shit, at least post lenses/bodies that are actualyl superior to stuff avalible on the mount you are trying to beat.

The 300/4 and 70-200/2.8 G minolta/sonys are just as good as the nikons and the A700 is as good as a D300. Everything else posted there i could get on my mount. The things I _asked_ for are the sort of things that rich hobbyists dont have.

>>110703

lol, absolutely useless shit. Right.

Enjoy your bottom of the barrel Sony.

And I know you will, that's the beauty of being ignorant. What's that expression they say, you know that one..
>> Blackadder !!bSWRwu/NqzQ

Get to your bed then! You could do with some kip by the sound of it. Better than wasting time with us. No way anyone can keep going on 2 hours a day.

2hrs last night, 4 the night before and 2 again the night before that. Its not really the sleep thats making me like this, i need to vent somewhere.

And /p/ is a good place for that. I guess if you have no friends and are a trap then you don't have anywhere else. Enjoy your emo.
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s

Yeah its quite good, i dont have any friends i can talk to atmo because its exam time and everyone is busy revising for that.

Besides, while we are sitting around discussing my emoness, no one is defending nikon. Infact since no one has actually countered anything I said about the lenses (just woo personal attacks) you guys arnt doing very well showing sony up.
>> Anonymous
We don't have to make Sony look bad, you and Sony do all the work for us.

dont. be. afraid. to. get. closer.
especially if its catalog work, do some close up detail shots of the prodcut to go along with the full length model shots next time.
