Your shitty camera phone doesn't excuse the lack of any composition worth speaking of. If you're taking a picture of beer bottles, take a picture of beer bottles, not a picture of beer bottles with some random boxes, that thing on the wall, and what I'm guessing is a rug rolled up on the floor.

This guy really knows his camphone photography.
I'm surprised he didn't suggest more TRUE HDR.

Funny how the picture on the cover was still shot with a high end SLR...

Ahh yes, I knew there'd be a beer snob comment. In college we drink to get drunk. Pabst does that.

That is not a better picture by any reasonable definition.

Boring. Static. Staid. Try something more artsy with the bottles. Side angles, DOF, get on the same level as the bottles, etc. Use your imagination to picture a better shot and experiment with that image. Take lots of shots, pick the best one. burn the rest.

This was never meant to be any kind of art, I just happened to have it in my random images folder.

Then why are you posting these photos if not for critique?

Because this thread needs more pics.

Based on the comment he included with the picture, I'm guessing he was hoping for praise, not critique.

A can? I am saddened and dismayed. I would also like to see some local microbrews, unless you live in some place that has no good ones :(

When I choose beer, manufacture date comes first (for ordinary beer), packaging second. And the only decent local microbrewery doesn't sell bottled beer.

pic slightly unrelated
