Why do you people insist on posting such generic photos? Do you have no sense of self criticism?

I can tell from the thumbnail that this photo is boring, it has nothing going for it, no character, no story, just some guys ear. Why the hell would i spend 2 minutes downloading an uncompressed 3mb picture of something so generic?

Im not a professional photographer, hell im not even an amateur but god damn, take the time to try frame your shots, think about the rule of thirds occasionally and try to find interesting things to shoot.

Most importantly, if youve taken a photo and it turns out to be something really boring like someones god damn ear, DONT POST IT ON A PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM.

Rule of thirds please.

What exactly are you trying to say with this post? Are you saying that the rule of thirds need not apply? Asking what the rule of thirds is? Or agreeing with the point that the rule of thirds should be adhered to in SOME cases to make a picture better?

Im quite confused.

I'm saying it's not a rule, per se. You needn't follow it to obtain good results.

Of course OP's pic isn't good anyway.
