Anyone want? ponpo !tC/hi58lI.
Some updates about this Fuji folder at Photokina if anyone cares. Shoots 6x6 / 6x7, 120/220 film, i think it's Fuji branded in Japan and Voigtlander overseas. Spring 2009 ~

Why would they do that. ;;

It's sexy though.

Any word on the price?

This is right after the 5DII and that Olympus u4/3 cam in my zomfg-do-want list.

i second that.
maybe i'll go have a look myself this weekend ... that is if i get my money on time.

Why not get a Moskva for the time being?
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>262102
I hate dealing with eBay; worries about old folders having hole-filled bellows and poorly-maintained shutters.

Oh, and also I didn't know about the Moskva until just now when you mentioned it.

I sell film cameras on eBay, and I always check on any problems. If you're looking for a good folder and don't mind dealing with me, I'll be on the lookout. I can promise it will be in perfect condition.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>262131
Probably not, but I've got a little bit of hope. I mean, it's gotta be pretty easy to make compared even to something like a Digital Rebel or a D40.

I don't give a shit who buys my shit, but I do give a shit for who I go out to look for a specific camera. I don't want to be stuck with a camera because the buyer is suddenly not interested anymore.

I'm sorry, it's just a trust thing. When I happen to find two, I'll be sure to inform you.

>6x6 cm (120-12 exp. / 220-24 exp.)

Can you switch between these mid-roll?
Are there two sets of framelines, or is it just a 6x7 frame with marks inside it for 6x6?
>> ponpo !tC/hi58lI.
>>262311

Not sure about either, i'm assuming the 6x6 - 6x7 is just a mask behind the curtain or something, so yes, but not sure at all.
>> Anonymous
I am not sure about this..
Fuji's reputation with bellows on folders is less than stellar. And by "Integral LED exposure metering indications", I assume they mean something like the metering in a Nikon FM2, which while accurate is a pain the the ass. Lastly $1K still buys a pretty nice Rolleiflex or a two Rollei T's and a pile of film, or if you like Fuji rangefinders a GS670 III - don't anyone say that it's much bigger, because in the practical sense, if you're going on a trip with a fixed lens camera (lots of fun) it ain't.
By mixing MF film with neophyte asshole features, it's making me think this is more bling, than a camera for someone serious. I hope I am wrong.

WHY, GOD, WHY?

>>262593
Yeah, because this is really good for shooting sports and shit, right? Gotta have that thumb rapidwinder for sure. Idiot.

Anyway $1200, or really anything, is too expensive. You can get a Voigtlander Perkeo III for like $350, and have identical features except for the 6x7 mask and the meter. Or you can skip on the coupled rangefinder as well, and get a Perkeo I like mine for like $150.

Incidentally, the bellows on my Perkeo are still in perfect shape, not even any pinholes. Props to Voigtlander for making something that works that well after 50 years.

Mamiya 7 body, 43mm f/4.5 super wide-angle lens with optical viewfinder, and 150mm f/4.5 lens.

$2500 on Nikoncafe lol

Completely different cameras but ok.

Anyway, the excitement of the news of new film cameras is always squashed by the cost. lol @ any new Rolleiflex price.

>>lol @ any new Rolleiflex price.

you're 100% right. As you probably figured out, Rollei re-issued the Rolleiflex, not for guys who shoot but for guys who want to own something to show off. That's why you never see a re-issue on the street. I live in NYC and there must be tons of owners and I've haven't seen one once. My worry is that this folder is for the same crowd. If so, it doesn't matter what a idiotic or arcane mix of features it has because no one is ever going to really use it. Leica M7 is in the same bag - poor battery life? - Who cares? The batteries will last long enough for me to show it off my friends. How many M7's do you see?

christ, 150 for a perkeo I? Has demand for them suddenly increased since two years ago or something? I remember being able to get them for 70 bucks easy. should've bought one while i had the chance.
