Hey guys. Thought I'd Share some photos with you fellas, get your opinions. The ones from NYC I took during the Scientology protest, and just posted in /b/ a few minutes ago. The others I took around my college. They aren't supposed to be really photo-realistic per se, just a tad surreal and moody. All taken with a Canon 350D, Sigma 15-50mm EX f/2.8, Sigma 150mm EX Macro f/2.8, Canon 28-75 USM f/3.5-5.6 or Canon 100-400 L IS USM f/4.5-5.6 and available light or with a Sigma EF500 DG Super bounce flash. What do you guys think?
I think you're a little short on lenses. Invest another $3-4k and come back later.
>>127548QFT.you clearly havent lurked enough on DPR...;)
Trolls are utterly impervious to criticism (constructive or otherwise). You cannot negotiate with them; you cannot cause them to feel shame or compassion; you cannot reason with them. They cannot be made to feel remorse. For some reason, trolls do not feel they are bound by the rules of courtesy or social responsibility.
>>127548I've already dropped a good $3,000 on glass over the past few years, which ain't nothin' for a broke college freshman. I'm just trying to get by with what I have.
This one is a bit dark because the color profile on my monitor was fucked when I processed it. But I lost the PSD file so until I re-do it this is what I have...
A photo of a friend at a class gathering.
Another friend, who lost a bet.
Same class gathering, with the aftermath of the bet.
A photo of me from that event(we were supposed to dress up like for the gathering, and I played it up for the photo. I'm not a pretentious cock in real life, I swear ;).)
Some taken during a walk...
And another...
And finally, one last photo of me looking like a dick. What do you guys think? Any C&C would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :).
>>127552Was that directed at me or the two other posters? If the former, I can assure you I'm not a troll, at least not an intentional one. Perhaps I'm just being dense, but in either case I really would like to get some comments from you guys.
>>127550you clearly havent lurked enough on DPR... ;)I swing by there occasionally, but the forums are too inefficient. It's really a bother to click on every single post made just to be able to read an entire conversation.
>>127550Heh, DPR ain't my coup-o-tea. I spend most of my time around FredMiranda.com.
>>127572I've reached FredMiranda through eflens.com just to read lens reviews. I might try swinging by there sometime to read about the other aspects of photography.
>>127566i like this onethe others are kinda so so, but you have potential
>>127566i thought this was some sort of battleship.
>>127547>>127557i like these two but the mask in>>127557is a way to lighten. when i look at the picture the maske is jumping out to much a bit darker an it would be good. people will have to "search" a little bit before they get it and then they will be surprised.

>>127549If the shadow detail is in the original shot, considering bringing a little more of it back.>>127557>>127565Watch out on blowing your whites out.I like these, they have strong elements of composition that complement your semi-surreal style.Your other images seem to me like snapshots you've put through your post-processing style.
its called bokeh you fucktards
>>127549What is happening in this photo? The guy with the facial hair is talking to the old guy and someone appears to be offering money.
