tips on getting the most vibrant colors from my photos?
I sometimes have problems with temperature and have photos that are just predominately blue or lack vividness.

Or am I always gonna have to do ps tweeking?

You could find places that have color, for starters.

try to up the saturation levels on the camera

also, up the saturation, but that wont work if its a shot like this otherwise the sky will look out of place against such a drab building.

I adjested the levels
boosted saturation
unsharp mask-100 percent
color balance-needed more red in mid range

The canon rebel Xt needs a lot of love. I oversaturated to show how far you can push this trick. There is a lot more information in your pics than what you can see. Every shot I take with my rebel requires saturation and unsharp mask. I should have bought a Nikon.

I would suggest shooting RAW. It won't fix it your problem, but it makes it easier to work with.
