I nabbed a 50mm 1.8 EF lens for 94 bucks Brand New. Good Deal? I think it's decent, considering they're 2 to 3 times more in a retail store.

You must be confusing it with the f/1.4

well then at least I didn't overpay :D

OP are you trolling or are you really-really-really stupid?

OP here, actually I've seen the 1.4 for 350 to 400 even on Ebay, and the 1.8 for 200-300 on most occasions.

Even when I'm serious, I'm still slightly trolling.

It's a condition that I have...

OP here again. Anyway, I can't wait to take some HDR shots of this butterfly that keeps landing on the flowers outside of my house. They're gonna be so cool! I'll post them here later. ^_^

people who sell 50mm 1.8 at 200 dollar have a drugdealer expertise.
and everyone paid above $75 for this lens are stupider than drug addict

Hope the buttefly does not move AT ALL or else you won't be able to pull it off.

Back when I bought my 50mm f/1.8 I paid around $80 at a local store because I needed it the very next day and didn't have time to order it.

These used to be $70-80 a year or so ago but Canon raised their prices on everything recently.

I paid like $80 on amazon, then like another $20 for the lens hood (rape). Just spent the day at an oktoberfest thing with my xti and this lens and got some sick pictures of these birds at this bird show, might post some later.
