You raise a point. Fuck, I should have realized that.

Ok... I mostly do Lomography. Here's one of the better ones I have taken. Please critique and not sugarcoat it.

I assume you're responding to>>129751??

Pretty neat. My sister has the same camera. It's not a true fisheye, since it doesn't capture a 180-degree field of view, but it does what it says on the box.

Colors are slightly bleached and actually quite nice. Has an early-spring feel to it. The poofy white clouds in blue sky recall well metaphorically with the poofy white guy in blue jeans.

Seriously, I do like it quite a lot. Crop out the sides and take some Panotools to it to defish it, and it will probably look even more awesome.

OP here,

I have more lomo pics if anyone wishes to see.

I'm new to photography in general. But doors are already opening up. A local skateboard company has shown interest and I may become a photographer for the team.

What is it with skateboarding and fisheye? Almost all skateboarding videos I've seen use em.

"ohh wow thats cool maaaan"

also it means you can be lazy and not compose correctly, the massive FOV makes getting stuff in shot a lot easier.

skate videos and pictures use fisheye because fisheye and wideangle lenses allow you to get very close(physically not zoom) to the action while still getting a full view of the scene

That answer is incorrect, there are dozens of other ways to do that without using a wideangle lens.

It is because Wideangle and fisheye lenses enhance the movement greatly due to the changed perspective, making the action look more awsme.
