I want to take pictures of my animals, but without flash it is very blurry. With flash everything is washed out in white but clear. How can I take a picture that's clear and not so white?

I use a Fujifilm Finepix.

Stop cumming on the lens/animals.

I havent used flashes much, but maybe try diffusing the light.

stand back farter and zoom in, this will let the flash spread out more.

Also photoshop and use autolvl

buy an exturnal flash, bounce it off the roof.
what has happened here, is you have "nuked it" with flash.

its way overblown

Buy some big lights to point at your critters. Or bring the cage outside in the sun for a bit.

Put the animals in a place where theres decent light,
Or hold a peice of white paper in front of the flash, so it softens the flash output.
You can also dial down the flash power (I think) on your camera.
