No one here can reasonably bash point-and-shoots, ever again.

same person

The only thing impressive about this, is the location (fucking space is tight though)

is me.

None of the others are. Just making the point to those who think SLRs are the only valid cameras that photographs people practically orgasm over are made with other types of cameras.

The best cameras being made today are, for the most part, SLRs, but some people on this board seem to think that makes them the only valid cameras, besides MF, LF, and Leica Ms.

Question, which I'm aware is irrelevent to less exotic photography: would an SLR even work in a gravity-free environment?
>> Anonymous
>>43923
agreed. other than the neat factor of where the pictures were taken from, they suck.
>> Anonymous
>>43925
Why wouldn't it? It works upside-down.
At worst it'll fuck with the auto-rotate thingamabob.
>> ac
>>43925
Yeah, SLRs don't use gravity to flip the mirror in either of the directions it has to flip.

dont forget NASA exclusively uses Nikon and Kodak (Nikon bodies) DSLR's in spaaaaaace

They use Hasselblad.

>>43941
They use both and have since the 60s. I *think* their current digital rig is a kodak dcs (F5 body) but I'm not sure.

in this pic, you can see a shit load of Nikon lenses and some bodies too, but there is another pic like this somewhere on the internets thats even more crazy with nikon lenses/bodies from space

>>43928
I never realized that; I figured it would have to.
>> Anonymous
Oh shit, I just realized what this means:

Someone decided a 4channer was a suitable astronaut. Wow.

>>43965
uhhh.... what?
>> F64
i would make a comment how film is better, but cosmic rays just fog film. Carry on
>> Anonymous
>>43960
lets pull a /k/, who can name all the lenses/bodies...
>> Anonymous
>>43980
Yes, let's.

I know I can't name almost any of them.
>> Anonymous
>>43965
hmmm....you have a point there.
FUCKING NASA!
>> Anonymous
>>43965

No, I believe it means a 4channer was able to photograph a shuttle launch from a plane (which, in /b/ terms, might be incredible enough...)
>> Anonymous
>>44275
we've had threads in /b/ and /p/ from an airplane pilot, iirc

that was kind of scary, in a Project Mayhem kind of way
