enjoy some street photography from this weekend, taken in my city. Christmas season is also approaching here

photos taken with an Olympus XA, bought it for 20 euro at Ebay. perfect for street or portrait photography when I don't want to get seen, or scare the people with my tank camera.

I don't focus with it, I just use the distance scale on the focusing ring. 35mm lenses dont need a lot of focusing anyway.

aperture is pre-set (f/8 on most here, for best sharpness). shutter time is automatic. taking photos when very quickly and smoothly (frame the photo, press shutter), I'm a happy rangefinder user :)

Very nice. Do you print your own film?

I thought about purchasing one of those but got a Vivitar 35ES instead. I love rangefinders.

not really. my enlarger sucks, and printing is frustrating and hard if I want to do it right

nice camera, especially with the 40/1.7. my XA isn't as sharp and bright, and focusing isn't easy, but the camera is very compact and unobtrusive. maybe I'll get something like that 35ES when I want something between an XA and an SLR.
