Hey /p/,

Well, I'm going to be traveling to Europe soon, and I'm wanting to take pictures of everything!

Could any of you possibly recommend a good/small digital camera for around $250-$300?

Thank you :)

PowerShot A-series. I've used a A6xx for a while now, and its tilting fold-out LCD (which only comes on the A6xx models) makes more interesting composition easier on the knees and back.

Step 1: Flip screen upward (or downward).
Step 2: Put camera somewhere your head or torso couldn't normally reach.
Step 3: ????
Step 4: PROFIT!

Pretty durable, too--takes 4 AA's, but they seem to last. Not shirt-pocket stuff, but feels better in your hand than any Elph.

I did it with a Powershot A640. Only other suggestion I have is get a bunch of memory cards.

Nikon Coolpix P5100, I think it's down to 300 dollars if you can find one I think they stopped production.

It's the best piece of shit you will buy. Supposing you don't want to get a DSLR the P5100 is still a very good camera and gives you more control than other point and clicks.
