LiveView is _great_ ... on a tripod or other stable mount. For fine art photography, I just can't see using anything except LiveView. Quite simply, LiveView (particularly when coupled with the grid lines) is perfect for this type of work. Also, useful for Macro. It's mostly worthless handheld. Even with a tilt-screen I can't see using it more.
>>197264 Oh, yes I know. But due to my present and temporary financial situation I can't really afford to go for full-frame lenses. The tradeoffs are just too large. For example, the 18-55IS and 55-250IS were purchased at a price that just can't be matched. The Sigma 30mm 1.4 does not have an affordable comparable lens (I can't afford the 35L...not even close, and the Canon 28mm 1.8 works out to give 90% less light [a bit more than 2/3 of a stop...wtf Sigma and Canon?] as well as being less usable wide open).
The main reason I'm not willing to take it further is exactly that - the 17-55IS isn't FF, the 10-22 isn't FF, etc. So in a few years when I can afford it, I'll just buy a 5Dmk2 or so along with a decent lens setup (most likely around a $5k budget at that point).
