Any tutorials or hints on film noir style lightning? I'll have some spare time in the studio tomorrow, and I want to try it out.

Not all that hard.
one snooted flash: it's pretty much putting a longer barrel on a flash to restrict it's angular reach. Normally you want it to go out in all directions, but for firm noir, not so much

colader: just the same thing you use to strain speghetti. seriously. It gives that textured look to the light in the background.

The snooted flash is probably off the camera to the left.
