What's the moving object?
How far away will it be?
How big do you want it in the frame?
What perspective do you want?
How much light will there be?
When you say "capture motion," do you mean freeze a moving object or do you mean using blur to convey the feeling of motion?

Lets say...
A modeling pageant with girls walking down the catwalk. While they are mostly walking slowly and all.Thats the kind of motion i am talking about.,

Ok ok. The subject will be at least 5ft. Human person just walking.
I want to fill at least the whole frame.
There will be little light in the room.
And freezing a moving subject.

$200 and under.

>>259690
between 5-10ft
and I will be in low perspective.

>>259691
again the minolta flash is around $100
can use it remotly as well

>>259691
I meant perspective in the artistic sense, but it's sort of moot since you want the frame filled and your distance is fixed.

When you said you want to "at least fill the whole frame," what do you mean exactly? Full body shots, head and shoulders, waist up, what?

Thanks

From waist up.

50/1.7 probably your best bet for <$200. They're only available used.

This one ends in ~30 minutes, currently at $121.38.

did you even look what a new one costs

>>259740
According to Dyxum they're discontinued. If they're not, still, used > and almost always cheaper than new.

>>259742
durr the sony is the same-look up its price
>> Anonymous
>>259745
Looking on both B&H and Dyxum, there appears to be only an f/1.4 and f/2.8 Macro Sony, both of which cost more.
