Is this supposed to convey some sort of emotional impact? Cause I'm not feeling it.

This is a largely unimpressive photo for a couple reasons. It really doesn't show anything desperate other than a minor pile of trash probably in someone's woods.

Additionally, there's too much in the background and it detracts from the photo. You should've taken the picture at a different angle.

It's just completely uninspired and meh in execution.

I think this angle could have worked, but maybe only if it was in black and white, to reduce all the distracting colors, and used a much shallower DOF. A lens with excellent bokeh would help much.

That wouldn't change the fact that it's a boring picture though.
