your point is that cameras right now can't even reach the limitations of the fastest SD card, let alone UDMA CF. that is WELL KNOWN, but thank you for stressing that fact anyways, that we all may better understand the handbook fundamentals of card speed vs. continuous shooting buffer...
that wasn't my point. UDMA cards with the proper reader will transfer gigs of content at a rate that's astronomically faster than the fastest SD card. that makes CF the most desirable and absolutely superior format for people who are doing a lot of serious shooting. aside from "LOL NO PINZ NO FAIL" there is not one thing that is technically better about SD card format. they are both a card that holds data. at the moment, CF has the potential ability to transfer said data at a much faster rate, given a few conditions. that was my point. CF format is superior to SD format.
