Hey /v/ I was wondering...i'm real new to photography, so how do you get good, clear shots of stars and such in the dark? I have a Canon Power Shot A540 and I still haven't figured out how to get good shots of things outside at night, even with flash it's not too great. Help?

You're going to need to get a tripod, and go into manual mode. I highly doubt it will be able to do anything in auto mode. You'll want to turn off the flash and use a big aperture and long exposure time.
