Sup /p/

Someone who is experienced explain these pictures to me. They looks so colorful and perfect i'd expect them to be digitally rendered, yet so realistic i'd expect them to be actual photos, just massively manipulated.

Someone must know how these were produced. They are amazing pictures, either way.

DSLR, Tripod, Set the proper White Balance, and then play with the picture in photoshop afterwards.

looks like some shadows highlights, levels and contrast, and saturation, nothing major.
White balance is the most important thing to set.

Digital Single Lens Reflex, Aka more expensive camera's that take different lenses.

The reason you want one of those is that their Noise levels stay low even on long exposures.

That is just how properly exposed night photos tend to look, no digital manipulation needed. The bright colors come from the fact that artificial lights produce light with a different color balance than the sun. Our eyes are less sensitive to it, but film and digital sensors show it very strongly. The blues and greens come from mercury in mercury vapor lights and flourescent lights. The yellows and oranges come from sodium lights that are often used in streetlights. Other colors usually come from reflections or colored lights.

Just long exposures with a tripod. They all look about 30+ seconds long.

Long exposures indeed. Look to be about 15-20 seconds

Ye just take a long exposure and do the white balance right and it often ends up wonderfull :)
Ive taken some night shots

Ive taken this picture with my 4mp compact. I only adjusted the whitebalance while taking the picture, changed the shutter to 4sec long photo, and then rezised the jpg it in photoshop.
