what i think is that these photos (including the several that you posted as original topics by accident, please delete them and repost here) are too high quality and stylistically different for any serious photographer (as you would have to be to take photos like this) to post them as a single collection and ask for advice as generic as 'what do we think'. in addition your EXIF data for most of them looks like that of a scanner, not a camera. looks to me like you are haphazardly trolling /p/ with other people's work.

Haha okay, you're GOOD. I'm talking to the person that really took these photos, and I offered to post some of her work here for advice/opinions of other photographers. So how about it? I'm not trying to troll.

you're damn right i'm good.

anyway if that's the case, direct sarah X here herself so that we don't have to talk to her through a proxy. there's a lot to be said about this work to the person that created it. in addition please delete all of your other posts outside of this topic and repost them in this thread so as not to gum up /p/ with unnecessary threads. click the check box between the image and your displayed name (in your case anonymous), scroll to the bottom of the page, click delete. then you can re-upload the pic in this thread.

Okay, she can't get on the internet right now, and she has really slow internet, so her getting on 4chan is very unlikely. I'm on the phone with her, so this would have to be the next best thing.

that's fine, whatever, just consolidate the pictures here. giving critique is fun for me but you're all over the place dude.

okay well that was all difficult but here we go anyway.

this photo is well composed but feels terribly unbalanced. i can't shake the feeling that it leans to the left. this may have to do with the lighter floorboard plank that gives the right half of the photo a lighter look and more attention. also nothing here is in proper focus. placing better lighting on the front of this amp and getting sharp detail on it would change this photo from awful to excellent; the reflection, fuzzy lighting and dull color would all be perfectly fine if only the subject drew the eye. the fact that this amp is not in clear, sharp, detailed focus is ridiculous to me.
>>40357
there's nothing really wrong with this one. maybe a little underexposed. you've got a nice diagonal going from rocks to feet to water foliage, and the subject is communicativeand keeps the eye's attention. i have few suggestions for improvement here.

brilliant stuff. i love everything about it. it's monochromatic without having boring color. it's sharp, clean, smooth, and simple. it's a beautiful presentation of a boring, everyday household object that makes you forget how commonplace it is. it's not exactly a symphony of human emotion but i can't stop looking at it and it makes me feel good. i would probably be inclined to buy something that was advertised using this shot.

Okay, this is good. How about the rest?

you're trying too hard to direct the eye here. the perspective doesn't seem natural. i like this photo OK but i would love it if the light spot at the upper left were either more prominent and clearly defined or not there at all and if my eye was able to follow the grass along with the train tracks for farther. nice though.
>>40374
looks very deliberate, again. this flower didn't grow there. i can see what you're saying with it anyway and i like it though. also it looks awkward centered. i like the color of the pavement against the flower, the strewn dirt, and the line between the blocks that the flower's wedged in but i can't look at it straight on like that. this shot's like a 91/100 and would be a 99 if you had just put that flower a liiiiiiiiitttle to the left.
>>40375
very deliberate again. morbid. what's with the text? is this an ad? i can't really discern your intent here. i love it though.
>>40376
i would have taken more shots from more angles and seen if any of them worked out better. that's not to say that i don't love this one. it's very rich in aesthetic attractiveness and expressiveness. i just can't help but think... maybe another angle. i can't put my finger on it.

I love this shot and am considering shamelessly stealing the idea.

They are nice but kill the text. Makes it look like DA Faggot tree.

Ok sorry, a little harsh and not helpful.

Your photos should speak for themselves.
