This is kinda interesting. Good shadows.

I have to agree about Ryan. He really does suck.

Hm. I gotta agree with the 'meh'. Not sure why, but I just don't find this shot terribly compelling.

>>164395
This one's a bit more interesting, though, again, not sure why. Not great, but definitely closer than the first.

I like this one the most. The others I'm not so sure about.

>>164426
This one definitely has potential if you had someone sitting down at the edge of the rail or something. I dunno. I just feel like it needs something more.

What filters/effect have you changed/added in photoshop to this photo?

OP: is it possible to post the originals?

They look almost computer generated.

it's just a program called raw camera 4.0 or something. i don't know, it came with adobe cs3 master connection, and my camera (canon xti) saves as the raw format that the program interprets, and allows you to quickly and easily change tone, exposure, every piece of data contained in the raw image format. all i did was mess with the highlights and shadows and give a color tint.

Ah I know what you mean, I use that aswell.
Along with Nikons silly version of it.

Its just, the light sources look surreal, almost like the lights generated in the 'crisis' game for pc.

Regarding people's dull comments:
I can see where they are coming from, but the photos you have taken would be AMAZING backdrops to something such as a Band's Promo photos.

On they're own they are nice to look at, but in my opinion - just lacking a 'wow' factor . :)
keep it up.

thanks man! :D
and yeah i know, the fact that it's a building that's currently in the process of being constructed is pretty cool too, adds the whole danger factor into the mix. but if i had models, i'd definitely be onto that wow factor. i'll see what i can do about it though, hopefully within the next few weeks. right now these shots are really nothing more to me than tests and composites for real set up shots involving models, plus my pissing around with that raw format thing.

:)
When/if you do get round to shooting with models;
If its possible try and use a separate flash trained on them, to keep the background lighting the same, but then making the subjects stand out of the photo. Increasing the sense of deph.

>>164543
you mean fill flash?
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>164825
Probably means off-camera flash.
