You didn't even ask a question.

ok then
which is the best?
>> Anonymous
Choose the one the suits your needs, you damn retard. The 450D can be "best" for some while the D60 is for others.

Those aren't even the same cameras

Go to a store, hold each one in your hand, and decide which feels best. They're all good, they've all got strengths and weaknesses, and the "right" one is just the one that lets you take the kind of photos you want to take.

Saging for gear thread.

Don't go Sony.

get the olympus e-3

they are all pretty much the same. its more dependant on where you are going to go with it once you get it. either way, stick to a Nikon or Canon to maximise your lens expansion and other accessories. Most reviews commonly lean towards the Nikon d60 for the best image quality and usability

i am a canonfag, i started on the 450D and went upwards, i now own a 5D, a 35mm F1.4, couple of epic zooms etc etc. my friend owns a d200 & a d300 and i must say, the image quality and usability really is alot better. The lenses feel alot more solid, not to mention just general better image quality. Also, the canon menus are mighty confusing and near impossible to use at times, whereas when i use the Nikon it is just alot more intuitive. Go the nikon, dont make the same mistake i did

3/10
A better troll would know to mention an older starting model instead because it's unlikely to build up a collection like that in under a year.
>> Anonymous
i would say go d60 as well. when i got my newest camera, i bought the canon rebel and the d60. I tried them both out, and i liked the feel of the nikon a lot better than the canon, so i went with it

That's exactly right, except for the m8 even being there. Shitsux.

if you're gonna put both the d90 and d80 in there you should at least put the 40d in as well. in front of the d80

A real /p/hotographer makes their own camera body.

omg someone smart finally answered, thank you! this is the default answer for anyone getting their first dslr.

1) buy used
2) buy the previous gen model
3) spend the rest of your money on glass

I got a refurbed Canon 400D off the bay for £270, seeing as 450d's go for about £450 or more I'd say that's pretty good. Then I spent as much as that on the lens, a Tamron 17-50. Which is really, really excellent.

I spent a little more than the new prices of these cameras (body only) and got myself some awesome glass while I was at it. But out of those, I'd go for the D60 because the viewfinder's suppose to be awesome, and Nikon have the best in-house APS-C glass of pretty much anyone you care to mention.

According to Crockwell the D60 is pretty much a glorified D40, only with a slower shutter.

since they all suck equally, buy the cheapest one
>> Mr._Laugh_Out_Loud !!rc0QDfC1oX3
all are entry level DSLRs. get the one that feels best in your hands, costs the least, or has menus that make the most sense to your brain.
>> tizzou !!HuouSd+PYUs
Buy whichever feels most comfortable in your hands and menu system that seems easiest.

you know why I like my d200/d300? I have to fiddle with exactly zero menus to change the settings I want.
