so i was checking out the EOS RT, which apparently is one of the fastest film cameras ever made for shutter lag, and i think it still is the fastest compared to digital slrsanyway, since the pellicle mirror doesn't actually move at all, is the camera completely silent? wikipedia says this>>Quiet operation, low vibration, absence of blackout, and fast response are features usually associated with rangefinder cameras, as they have no mirror at all between the lens and the film."quiet" but is it completely silent?man, pellicle mirrors are cool, someone should make something like this for modern cameras
oh that sucksi thought it'd be point-and-shoot silent
You could add some felt...
I doubt it would be as popular today.
>>291792to what?
>>291803Just start gluing it to everything... When the snapping stops you are done.
>>291803I think he means as in a case to muffle it. You can buy or make cases to muffle the sounds from your camera. Some are also designed to protect as well.
>>291823Just glue small peices of felt wherever the mirror mechanism contacts anything else.
>EOS RT, which apparently is one of the fastest film cameras ever made for shutter lag,The fastest, production at least, as far as I know, so long as everything is set in advance. Next are Leica Ms.
>>2918331N RS is faster>> The "RT" in the EOS RT name stands for "Real Time", indicating the camera's full-time viewfinder image and short release time lag of just 0.008 sec. (5 frames/sec.; max. continuous exposure speed). The EOS-1N RS features an even shorter release time lag (0.006 sec.) and achieves a fast continuous shooting speed of approx. 10 frames sec., achieving Real-time Super-high-speed (drive) continuous shooting operation, thus the "RS" name. The mode name has also been changed accordingly to RS mode....".
