Hey /p/, I hope you can help me out on this. I'm a digital canonfag, but I've become very fond of film photography.

I've been fucking around with a 'time camera' until now as far as film goes, but the lack of control is pissing me off. I can't even focus at will, on anything closer than 2 meters and the viewfinder isn't either aligned nor representative of the lens' field of vision.

Here's what I need help with... I saw a Nikkormat at a local store, much like the one pictured. I have two questions, do they have an F mount and how do I know which model it is?

Cool I have one of those. If it's that one, it's a Nikkormat FTN. It does have an F mount, and will take any F mount lens with an aperture ring (pretty much all of them except the newest ones).

To check the model, google for that Malaysian site about Nikons. Also check the letters by the serial number. An FTN will have FT before the number and N above the top deck meter readout.

Thanks Serenar, I'll google the site and watch for the numbers/letter next time I go see it.

Agh, I suck, I can't find it. I'm nowhere close to being a nikonfag. I don't even know what site I'm looking for.

Somebody please point me to that malay site he's talking about.
