It's important to understand the technical side, but "gear threads" don't have much to do with that. Though I'm not even sure if Cartier-Bresson knew how to process film; he had some trusted darkroom guy who did all his developing and printing for him.
And 25 megapixels? FFS, twelve is enough for anyone who isn't trying to shoot sports with an ultrawide and crop. Keep that stuff for MF backs.
This adds a full-frame sensor for Sony users, but the extra dynamic range is compromised by the huge pixel count. Nikon users don't gain a single thing, even if they do wind up using this chip; they've got the D3.
