I assume the camera is out of warranty, isn't it?
Kodak C330 is really cheap, so repairing it in a service facility may be more expensive than buying an used similar one in working condition. As a tech freak, I'd probably try to open it up and clean the lens assembly - a lot of the time these errors are caused by lens mechanics being stuck due to sand or dirt. I once fixed a similarly "broken" Nikon 4300 by just pulling the lens with my fingers as it tried to extend.
