Dear /p/, I own a Fujifilm FinePix S5200. I <3 this camera compared to my last one, but I notice that I still get a decent amount of noise in my pictures. What are some good methods in reducing this?(Pic unrelated, but I did take that a couple years ago on a shitty $50 camera. Wish I had a better one at the time.)EXIF data available. -Use a really low ISO speed?-Lighting sometimes effects Noise.-Edit the photos by playing with the sharpness and such [do be reminded that this does degrade the photo a tad, so always keep the orginal].
I also have the S5000. Its a good camera (for the price anyways). The noise problem is with all Digital cameras. It shows up the most on dark pictures, and it gets alot worse when using slower shutter speeds (although i think newer cameras are getting better).Use the fastest possible shutter speeds.DO NOT use Fuji's software... I use 'Fers Converter' to extract the RAW file to a PSD file (getting the information the camera actually saw) -THEN you can use any noise-removal program you wish!A whole Forum was created about the S5000. Here is the link that talks about the converter;http://www.s5000.net/oldforums/yaBB/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=raw;action=display;num=1069168683;start=
