Velvia 100 and Provia 100. Though i'm now semi-partial to Ilford XP2 B/W 400 speed

Kodak professional on 100ft rolls at 726 speed. lol that's all I get to use at work so I have no choice.

Will film be around for long now that it is seen as a minority item?

Looks like there will be less and less choice and development until it gets to the point where all those film cameras will be unusable as there's no way to get film for it and no pro developers.

Shame.

Film is still easy to get. The only thing I've noticed is that a lot of cheaper quality films are gone and the good stuff is left on the shelves. Doesn't really bother me in that regard.
Film isn't going away. Lots of pros still use film in addition to (and often instead of) digital. It's too big a market to give up on yet.
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j

Film will continue to be around for a long time yet, but film cameras are going to be harder to find, but still findable in garage sales, craigslist and used camera stores

It'd be crap to see the quality instruments going to waste when that does come to pass.

Press 800 and velvia 100F, generally. Although, after a long period of bitter haet (VPS related), I'm coming around to 160NC

It'll be a good long while before film starts getting hard to find. It's lost the low-end market, but there's still the old-people market and the artsy-types market.

I'd just like to take a moment to mention that Kodachrome is fucking awesome.

So my mother is a painter, and she likes painting kitchy things. She bought a huge lot of slides off of eBay, mostly Kodachrome, from the early 60s. These slides are absolutely *gorgeous*. Vibrant as they day they were developed.

I need to shoot some Kodachrome while it's still (barely) available...

>I need to shoot some Kodachrome while it's still (barely) available...

my dad's got a bunch of nice old slides, shot mostly on kodachrome and, as much as id like to shoot some, i dont want to go through the complete anger of shooting a few rolls of fantastic film and then never being able to ever again.

print: Fuji NPS 160
slide: Fuji Velvia 50
B&W: Ilford HP5+ or T-Max

Why is kodachrome going way? I head nothing but glowing reviews about it. Is it worth investing in a freezer to save some?
I've got an unused freezer in my garage, I'll fire the bitch up and stockpile this stuff if it's gonna be worth something in a few years.

even if you did buy a whole bunch, theres only one kodak certified developing center in the entire US.

>>81626
Because it is a major, screaming bitch to develop. It has its own non-E6 developing process that nothing else uses, you see, and it's a process that's basically impossible to do at home. Makes C41 and E6 look like traditional B&W.
