soup /p/

I just bought some black and white film, because I saw it in the store and recalled a thread about it on here :-P, and I miss using my film camera.

So how is your day going anon?

Not OP,

On an unrelated note, what will happen if I cross process 400TX in C-41?

Bricks will be shat.

Cross-processing B&W film doesn't really....work. Developing the 400TX in C-41 would get you nothing but a blank roll of film.

You can develop color film in B&W developer (you get a yellow monochrome, IIRC), but not the other way around.

My day was ok, I went out and shot the 4x5 a little. I'm trying out Ilford Ortho Plus and still getting the hang of it. I got some pretty low density negatives with DD-X and recommended times, so the next batch I'm going to process by safelight and see how it goes.

It was a good day. Nice weather so I went out with my old praktica to do some landscape photography... Can't wait to see how they turned out. :)

don't know ortho plus. I did try DD-X, expensive and doesn't last very long. very nice to push film though, but at normally EI's its very flat alright

my day: woke up a bit too late again, browsing around to buy a Leica M2. meeting a local seller tomorrow, I might get that one

OP here, what makes this film "professional" ?
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA

The fact that it's not cheap C41-process color negative, mostly. Also probably some higher quality and storage standards. And, of course, extra price.

yeah, for sure, eh?

ilford is great, and they keep producing black and white film, paper, chemicals.

i mean, just keep buying it. they make a good product, and they're dedicated to the medium.

I cried when I found out that polaroid is not going to charge people through the nose anymore because of some business reasons?
