Hello /p/.
I need your help. I'm buying a new camera and I know nothing about them.
Right now I have a Sony DSC-T30, and I mainly use it to take pictures of me and my friends biking, this means that I only use 2 modes "Hi-Speed Shutter" & the video mode (640x480). The other modes, I'm not quite sure what they do :|.
My problem with it, is its features, I want a bit more zoom, better video quality, "sequence shots", and most of all it needs to be slim/ turn on quickly (when biking this comes into play a lot.)
Price range = < 700$ CAD

I like the sound of this one, good deal?

pic related, I'm no professional photographer, but to me and my friends; its a damn good pic.
P.S. I care not for MEGAPIXELSZZ, I don't use anything over 5MP.

I'd recommend a digital SLR. Why have movies when you can get 3 FPS in full resolution and stitch them together as a gif.

Seriously, I don't think the TX1 would be a good deal. The screen is pretty small and the video mode isn't as great as a full blown video camera. If regular video cameras are too expensive, look at the Powershot S5.

my problem is not $$, its portability.
im always on my bike, and i need a camera to fit in my pocket.
I have fallen many many times, with my cybershot in my right pocket, and nothing happend to it, because its slim so it squishes into my leg..

Also, I like Canon due to the fact that I can load
