how do you shoot in the rain?
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
Same way i shoot in the rain but with slightly more care over lense changes.

The day my A100 dies due to rain and I have to buy an A700 is going to be awesome.

I've never worried about rain, even downpour.
Shooting at the beach worries me more than shooting in rain.

I usually just wander back inside until it stops.

Although the other day I was 20 minutes up a mountain when it began to rain. I just put my sweater over the camera on the tripod and the hood protected the lens. I kept shooting.

been considering buying one of those umbrellas and using it for the external flash. Would that work at all?

For small to medium amounts of rain: put on a lens hood and wipe the camera off every few minutes.

For large amounts of rain: switch to all-manual body or put a plastic bag over all but the lens (press shutter release through it).

For monsoons: don't go outside.

Pussy out and shoot from inside my car or other such things.

Plastic shopping bag, poke a hole at one end and stretch it tight over the end of the lens and look through the open end.
