Hey /p/, I just got a Sony A-100 and I went to test it out with a few shots near Lake Ontario.

Any suggestions / critique? Thanks

I got the same camera, I found it great for taking experimental photographing, I found out it was sensitive to IR-lights when I took a pic of my sister painting a sun, the sun turned out glowing on the pic and since then I've taken IR pics with that this camera.

It's a good camera even though the pics can be a bit blurry, but it's great if you want to take IR photo or want a camera where you can change alot of the settings.

Yeah, that's what I like about it most so far, absolutely everything can go into manual (really good white balance control).

I have a Hoya R72 filter, did a little IR stuff before but haven't tried it out on this camera yet.

Another thing, this is the first camera I have that has an autofocus lens. The thing is that I have a Cokin a-series holder. How do I get it to work with autofocus stuff, I see on their website something about removing a tab, but I can't seem to do it. Anyone have this experience?

Hmm, I tried out my IR filter on it, and I couldn't get it to work as well as I'd hoped.

Does the camera have a hot filter on it? How did you take your IR pics?
