I'm not sure one can call either of them "lines;" there's only one R-mount camera in production at any given time, and the "D system" is pretty much dead. They ran a promotion where they would do something like throw in free adapters and a pair of binoculars if you bought one and some R-mount supertelephoto, both of which were discounted very much in the deal, if I remember right.
I don't think too many people went along. They ought to scrap the R bodies and sell the lenses in different mounts and focus their camera-making on the M system. And the D system and the rebadged point and shoots need to go, obviously.
