change your whitebalance if you're editing in RAW, but i assume you're not. if you're just PS'ing it, you're probably looking for gamma correction - turn green way up, obv.

Obviously you don't JUST do that...

http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/how-to-make-digital-photos-look-like-lomo-photography/

check this for some help.

Also, what that person did in terms of color was a bit different from the website I gave you. He/she probably messed with the color balance and added a mix of green and yellow. That website teaches you how to do the vignetting and other useful things.

Does anyone know an editing process that can give a digital photograph the "non-Lomoified film" look?

step 4

if u want bro add a yellow color cast to the picture.iIn the layers palette, click the "Create new fill or new adjustment layer" icon and choose SOLID COLOR. select a yellow-green and click OK, then reduce the new layer's opacity — 10% is as much as you'll need

FUCKING IZZIOTS:

selective color for the win.

turn blacks all the way up.

mess with adding and subtracting cyan magenta and yellow from each color. change the midtones and highlight color balance.
add some grain.
add some DOF blur (SPARINGLY)

fuck curves.

step 1: photoshop
step 2: ctrl + B
step 3: experiment with colors and don't forget the tone balance settings [shadows, midtones, highlights]
step 4: profit!

I did this in about thirty seconds. Your photo was mostly green, so it was a no brainer to add warm colors like red and yellow to her skin. I added some blue to counter all the green in the background too.

Start with Levels then Curves then Color Balance than Hue/Sat (optional)

I'll post the numbers if you want.

Use Levels and Selctive color, only prob with selctive color is the noise which may come up, so undo the noise using filters > noise > reduce noise <:

To me, it looks like somebody's trying for a photoshop equivalent of cross processing.

I'm poor, and use the GIMP. Is there any equivilent of noise reduction in GIMP? ALso, WTF does curves actually do? I know about levels and color balance and hue, but I've never found a good use for curves.

Curves simply reassigns one intensity value with another. An "s" curve will make low values lower, and high values higher; what you see is that values that were originally in the mid-range now extend into a much higher dynamic range. An inverted s-curve does the opposite, giving you a higher dynamic range for high and/or low values at the cost of range in the middle values.
