It's a cute idea, but I think that the swan gets lost in the "context" and the signs near the water are distracting. It's hard to get up-close to many birds and many people don't lug their gear around with them on a day-to-day basis with the hopes of catching an interesting picture. Optical zoom would be very nice for this picture, I think... or at least getting closer (without making the swan fly off) just to try to make the swan "more obvious."
Some people would bitch and moan about the rule of 1/3s... but it just seems odd to have the swan not centered when it looks like that's what you were going for. (I can't read minds, though!)
>>34023 Holier-than-thou much? After seeing thousands upon thousands of photographs, "nature" or town scenes may end up looking the same, but could you actually offer some advice rather than trying to pull some art school bullshit out of your ass? A patch of open sky could show the height of the trees or offer some contrast, it doesn't have to have some esoteric meaning behind it!
Most people learn a few things in the span of time since the photo was taken... OP, do you have current work? (You may want to scale it donw, though... what with the servers and whatnot.)
I also wonder if the OP "forgot about it" because there weren't super-unique features in the picture?
