Well, considering the camera is digital, coupled with being make in 1999. Digital in '99? Primitive is a good word of description. So the quality isn't that good, so what?
What I like about it is the high contrasts. The most immediate is the lighting contrast; a simple argument can be made that the left is dark and the right is light. In adition, the color of the hair is in complete contrast to everything else in the pic. I like the fact that the face is shrouded & that the widnow (to the right) is the only thing that's external, further adding to the right/left idea. Also, since the face is shrouded, it forces the viewer to look at the form of the person, not the qualities, the expression, nor the physical emotes: that close-up and neutral of a pose is just too vague to portray too much emotion, so you're left evaluating the form itself.
But all in all, I just really like the lighting. Maybe it's because it's the only shot of it's kind in the series I took (all out a window).
But yes, the camera's shitty. But that's not what I was asking for, was it?
