So yeah, the other day I got a cheap film SLR and went through a roll of cheapest film. Some shots turned out OK, like this one.

As I have never before used film I'm not quite sure what's going on here, who is at fault and how do I fixed it. Ideas?

looks liek the film's fault or maybe whoever developed it.

what kind of film is that? do you know?

That was Fujifilm Superia 200.

Maybe light seals on camera are broken?

until you can afford to/have time to change the seals, you can just waste a frame.
I'm lazy and do this with one of my old bodies, the leak is slow enough that it only burns the exposure that's next in the queue, so I just blow two frames whenever I start taking pictures of something after not doing so for a few hours.
otoh, I think your camera is past that point.
