Greetings /p. I just spent a silly amount of money on a remote flash setup. As we all know, cats are always the first victims of photographic experiment.

true, but I has no cats...

I don't think it was bounced of the ceiling. maybe a speedlight on a tripod to camera left. but true enough there only seems to be 1 flash.

Yep. I actually just hand held and shot it mostly strait down from camera left. Cat kept running around so I ditched the tripod.

yup thought so. Only recently I've realized bouncing in a small room gives sorta even lighting. I've yet to buy a wireless system though. what're you using OP?

Yeah, when I heard the cashier total, I got that feeling like you get in poker. You have a terrible hand, and already have most of your chips in the pot. You just kinda say "Fuck it" and go all in.

I kinda liked it because the shadow followed the nose contour, and the shadows were harsh and weird enough to be a little interesting.

Yeah, but they are mostly generic portraits trying out different bounces and impromptu reflectors. I am gonna let this thread stew for a bit more crit while I come up with more ideas.

Slushy anyone?
