As for your camera issues, it could just be the camera. Technically, any p&s should be easy enough to use. Press button. Receive picture. Whatever sensor they have in there might not be too good or even the lens itself might have defects. Whatever it may be, you have a product that you are unhappy with. Chances are that your only option is to scrap it a new one, or settle for the quality that this one outputs. I'd heavily suggest the first option. It just shows you that megapixels isn't everything when buying a digital camera.
Anyway, very good quality digital p&s cameras from Nikon and Canon can be bought for under 200 dollars. Go check them out.
