I'll give some critique for improvement: subject is mildly interesting; get a more oblique angle on the shot, use a smaller aperture, and shoot in a better environment. Some oblique lighting wouldn't hurt it, either.

Or, the alternative: get a head-scratchingly precise top-down shot with NO lighting, in square format, with a blown white background.

good brightness and contrast between whatever that is and the background, but there's no depth to it. you need less of that bumpy thing, and it shouldn't be so centered, and something in the background worth noticing, even if it is out of focus.

It's hard to focus on the subject when the background is so white. Interesting features on the subject, but it does need to be a more interesting picture overall.
