I collect antiques. Not for any paticular reason other than to hoard and have a house full of musty things, I think. Other than books, I tend to collect older cameras. It started as I am a photography nut and people would just give me old cameras they found in basements and the like. Then it grew into a hobby.

But at an estate sale recently, I just stumbled across an old Polaroid that looks vaguely like this. It has everything it originally had, including intstructions, information, and other accessories. The old lass I bought it from said that there was probably no chance they made film for this anymore and sold it to me for $5.

I'm just wondering, was this a good deal? I have no idea how much this camera is worth or how old it is. I figured I'd ask some camera experts.

Does it have a model number anywhere?
Serial number? Other info?

I need more to go on.

The paperwork that came with it says is a 110, but it doesn't really indicate any further than that.

>The Polaroid Models 110, 110A, and 110B (also known as the Pathfinder), are among Polaroid's professional cameras. Shown here is the Model 110A, made between 1957-60, and came equipped with a f/4.7 ~ 127mm Rodenstock, Ysarex, or Enna-Werk lens in Prontor SVS shutter. Shutter speeds were 1 second to 1/400th second. A lens cap with a f/90 aperature was added in 1959 to use the newer 3000 speed film. Collector's value: $55-$90 (all model versions).

What you have there is probably a 110 model Polaroid Land Camera. Not sure which variant, but most likely a Land Camera.

Here's a listing for one on Craigslist in Philly:

Apparently they can sometimes be modified to take some of the currently-available Polaroid film, but that might involve damaging the camera and wrecking it's collectible value.

Ooh, then I did get a good deal either way. I did imput the model into google and it popped up with a few results in the $100-$250 area but I will go with the experts say its value is.

I don't think I'll ever modify it. I don't want to risk destroying it. Its a really nice camera, once you get the past that it weighs more than a bowling ball.
