this pano is a bit boring for me, but someone wanted a shot of this hole, so as long as they are happy lol.

you should sell these golf course shots to the course owners.. i bet they'd pay good money for em
>> Anonymous
The sky in the panorama is a bit overblown, but otherwise those are really good shots.

I do actually, Golf Courses and Wineries have tons of money to spare, So they are my primary target as far as commercial sales go.

Heres a pic from yesterday, shot at 2:30, so not the best time for lighting.

some added contrast around the glare of the sun, while masking out the rest, would be a good help.
>> Anonymous
These are nice photos, but the wide angle distortion really hurts a few in my opinion. Perhaps shooting with a little longer lens and backing up a bit, or possibly a better corrected lens would help. 232939 is particularly bad, the bottom right corner looks really bad.

is it just me or are these not vincent
>> Vincent !!8LCSE0Zp1mL
>>232953
No they are me, just not as good as my other stuff lately :(
(Vancouver and Tofino Trip specifically)

I'm trying to plan another photo trip before the summer is over, because I'm getting really bored of the landscapes around here. (Hence the lack of good Pano's in this thread, and the waterfall shots etc)

But I sold my old macro lens and picked up a 105mm VR, so now I will have some other different stuff aswell.

Woo this is a forgiving lens.

No cropping at all

wheres the IR?
these arent bad just a bit boring. maybe thats just me because i have a very similar landscape around here.

>>233110
is nice, great color!

I left the IR camera at home because I wanted to bring along my N60 (film cam) and the 8mm fisheye. Those aren't developed yet though...
Too bad because the IR D70 would have been nice for the golf course!

Only enough room in my bag for soo much :(

The 105mm VR is going to screw up my bag organization its a big lens!

yeah im kinda in the same boat. if i get a new lens for xmas or something il be fucked, because il be getting the sigma 105 f 2.8 or 2, i cant remember, and ive already got my 2 kit lenses, my flash, omni bounce, and my newish sigma 24mm, it is huge for its focal length.

they need to make marry poppins bags.

Pick up one of these then instead of lugging a bag around? There's the obvious storage space and very large butt-pocket for more lenses if need be or you can combo with small camel backpack for the stuff you don't use much.
>>233121
>>233110
I like these two. Most of these pictures have rather flat greens and blue unfortunately.

>>232930
>>232933
don't like these 2 .. generic forest stream shots i've seen over 9000 times
>>232934
this is more like it.. i really like the ripply pattern going on on the hill.. and everything's really well exposed. nice
>>232938
hmm i almost like this, but what kills it for me is that the bottom of the image distracts due to sudden high contrast areas. you know what i mean
>>232939
not bad
>>232940
yea it is a little more boring than usual.. still well executed though
>>232944
fucking gorgeous. the only complaint i have is that i don't like how some of the hills are dark near the top. (hdr side effect, right?)
>>233110
>>233121
good, but generic as hell

How much do you charge?

id think a bag and some separate lens bags would be a pretty good substitute to that.
maybe one of those with the one strap that goes over your chest.

No HDR (I always mention if I have used HDR with my pics), But layer gradient mask I was a little more liberal on to cancel out some of the blue haze in the distant mountains.

>>233153
$300-450 CAD for a framed 12x36" print (450 = new customers, 300 for the ones I already sold to, because I used to charge 300)
150 print only (12x36")
And $200 for 12x18" prints framed.

>>233148
The vest couldn't carry enough IMO.
>>233157
I have another smaller bag I can use as a shoulder bag with my Mini Trekker, but the truth is, I like to carry light, and I usually only have 2 camera bodies on me, so its never been that big of a deal.
Normal kit was
D300, D70
300mm f4, 18-70, 10-20, SB-800

Now if I want to bring the 105mm I could leave the 300mm behind, but without packing the second bag I can't fit the 105 with the 300mm f4
>> Anonymous
>>233172
yeah i think im going to stop bringing all my shit out with me. i really like using my new lens so im going to start just taking it. MAYBE my flash if its getting dark or i just feel il need, but i have a 285hv and its fucking gigantic and wont be fitting in any of my pockets soon. if i use it il probably be doing portraits or something though so il just get my subject to carry it if i dont want to leave it mounted.

do you find 300mm to be to far from what you shoot? because if i really consider putting money down for the 105 i want to know il be able to use it for animals, sports, or something of the sort where you cant really get close.
i use an oly so i have the 2x crop factor on my side, but im just not sure.
>> Vincent !!8LCSE0Zp1mL
>>233182
the 300mm was kind of an all purpose lens. Its af-s, so I sometimes use it for distant sports (Baseball, Soccer, Football) But I carry it for wildlife / birds / large macro stuff (It has a good close focus distance, that makes it pretty good for macro's of flowers and large bugs)

For actual sports I use my 80-200 f2.8 af-s and sometimes with the 1.4x TC. Its much more flexible for everything from Hockey, to MX, to baseball.
I often shoot in the 140-280mm range for team sports (so 210-420mm on 35mm)
for MX and karate and whatnot I'm much closer so I'm often in the 80-150mm range.

Basically, I think the Sigma 105mm Macro may be a bit too limiting for you. Maybe get a used Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM APO DG Macro. Its much more multipurpose. And I see them sell used for 450-550$ USD.
It won't go to 1:1, but it still is useable for flowers / bees and other large bugs.

>>233192
il have to check into that. macros not a big deal for me, more of a perk. if i want to do macro il get up close with my 24mm macro.
thanks!
>> Vincent !!8LCSE0Zp1mL
>>233199
The 24mm f1.8 isn't a true macro lens either. Just so you know (I own it, its a fantastic lens except for its bulk + flare)
>> Anonymous
>>233201
yeah, it just focuses close.

after a quick search it looks like the 70-200 is hard to find for four thirds? i couldnt even find it on B&H
>> Vincent !!8LCSE0Zp1mL
>>233214
ahh yes forgot about that. Well maybe find a sigma 50-150mm f2.8?

OP I really like the pictures goodjob.
