Did some light graffiti, with my psp.

I used http://kuler.adobe.com/, to get some color palettes, and used them as images on my psp.

Nice. Grap a tripcode, make yourself at home.

But seriously, try to be less of a dick when people ask for full frame shots. If you are worried about theft, lower the jpg quality and add a watermark.

if any of you noticed, i did give you guys two 1024x768 backgrounds.

though, you guys really do like to whine, and insult. which, makes me less likely to do those kinds of things.

some of them were lit with "light painting," some with a homemade "light tent," and others with a homemade softbox.

what i just posted is a fully un-edited quadrant (if you can't see that, you just plain don't know enough about digital photography)... why would i have any reason to fake the exif, if i've already proven i have access, to the original unedited photograph.

I've got a better idea. How about you all fuck off. I love how /p/ flips out every time somebody posts something good and cries about how it must be stolen. They don't need to prove they took the pic any more than you need to prove that you know what the fuck you're talking about. Why don't you prove he didn't take the pic if you're so certain? Find real proof instead of circumstantial bullshit, or shut your fucking mouth.

>> Anonymous
>>220545the burden of proof is on the presenter

That's funny because that's not how it works in the real world. When you go to an art gallery, does the artist have to provide you a 100% crop and exif data so you believe he took the picture? Does a painter have to include a video of him painting a picture with every showing?

The burden of proof is on the accuser. Again, if you're so convinced it's stolen, prove it.
>> Depressed Cheesecake !vtwT5guftY

Most artists don't try to hide their process.
I doubt this is fake, but the OP is definitely being evasive.
>> ilkore
If you don't believe I did these, I honestly don't care. Here's another one, now that we're talking about sets/series. This one should be self-explicit.
>> ilkore
     File :-(, x)
when have i ever not explained my process, when someone asked. i didn't show anyone photos of the setups, but i explained how i lit these, when people asked. i rarely if ever, take a photo of my setups (my setups are just a clamp light(s), and tissue paper. why would i bother taking a picture of that - most of the time that stuff is handeld, so it wouldn't tell you anything more anyways.)... if you guys know your lighting, you should be able to tell me how i did these... pretty much everything you see from me, was created with stuff laying around the house.. minus the ferrofluid and maybe the guns.. you all could grab some gasoline/lcd screan/cup of water, and make a fire photo // light graffiti // laundry detergent // colored dye photo tonight, if you wanted to.

I don't know why everyone (or just two people) are so sure of shenanigans with no evidence to their credit. And Ilkore, I'm in your corner with this, but an artist putting something in a gallery for all to see and scrutinize as compared to somebody nobody can really hold accountable for their actions posting something on an image board that will be seen for only a week tops are two different things.

That being said, I have never thought of doing anything chemistry related with photography. Where'd you get the idea? Bravo. And great quality images, perfect for any stock use (pun deliberate). I've always wanted a Px9 for personal carry, but I'm broke and have a list of other toys I need first, lol.

All very original ideas, where did you get them from? Internet? Other photographers?

>> ilkore

thank you!

i just look at other artists, to find interesting subjects, inspiration, and to try and reverse engineer how they created what they produced. i'm a high school dropout, so i don't really have any experience in chemistry, other than a freshman science class.

the psp light graffiti pics, were made after i saw a photo of a computer monitor, being reflected onto a cd.

the fire photos, were from after i was looking at pictures of people doing fire poi. and, i think i tried taking a picture of a campfire, earlier that week.

the ferrofluid was from after seeing Sachiko Kodama's and Yasushi Miyajima's videos on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpBxCnHU8Ao

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=me5Zzm2TXh4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5OhZ9wT568

the gun photos we're because i was looking threw the galleries of the "guns & ammo" website. plus i had just read an article on "light painting," and how the technique works really well on metallic objects.

>> Pentard !pjwjmEQ1RM
I gotta say I agree with the trolls on this one.

I could believe the first thing, but some of the other stuff here is much too good for "an amateur with clamp lights".

What lenses are you using on your XT?
How did you get so good at PP?
>> ilkore
>>220657

texture-wise, it would feel no different than if you just put your finger in a glass of water.

but, as far as the aftereffects go....

take your finger and stick it up your butt.. wiggle it around... then pull it out...

your finger will look like that, but for 2-3 days.

the shit stains BAD... it destroyed my light tent.
>> Anonymous
so in those videos when they fling that shit around and make it spin

i assume there is splash back all over the place?
>> ilkore
>>220664

as far as PP... ive been using photoshop since version 4 came out... that was a loooong time ago. although, i didn't use photoshop to do photo editing, until around 5 years ago, when my dad bought a sony p&s. to learn how to edit photos, i just used tutorials. is it really that difficult to make a mask, and use levels/curves? if anything i think i suck at using photoshop... ive seen people with a quarter of my experience, do things i haven't the slightest clue how to make.

sigma 10-20 (rarely use it)
sigma 105mm 2.8 macro
canon 50mm 1.4 (my work horse)
kit 18-55 (i think today, was the first time i ever used it, in over 6 months)

learn about "light painting." you can make one simple clamp light look like a very large studio setup.

that's probably because you still need to learn about lighting in general...

halving distances, specular highlights, family of angles, gobos...

take some tutorials... there's plenty out there...

>> ilkore
>>220752
hey, i'm not google.
i'll help you learn something about photography, but i can't teach you all how to use the internet. sometimes, you have to kick people in the butt, and make them learn something for themselves, rather than they be force fed shit, that's not going to even pertain to their learning style. you would be better for it in the end. get inspired, and get shooting. it's not much more than that. you can do more with a camera, than stare threw it.

and there are many tutorials in those sites, that we're listed. in fact, there was a whole treasure trove of photo learning greatness!

perhaps you'd fare better at deviantart.com
