don't listen to this guy, he's an idiot. i can attest from first hand experience that time spend with a modern nikon film slr translates directly over to a dslr.
i've been using an F100 day in and day out for close to four years, and when i bought a D300, it operated almost exactly the same. more buttons, but a lot of the main ones have been in the same place for close to ten years now, and i suspect they will be for quite a while.
so, yeah. go get an F100. there's really no reason not to own one since they cost 350 bucks these days.
