Hi! I'm into macro-photography...and I currently have a Nikon D40. I'm a beginner at DSLR stuff, so if you have recommendations on some beginner macro lenses, it will be appreciated. :)

i'm into macro also! i dont know anything about lenses cause my finpix s9k doesnt change lenses,but i DO like the picture,its very delicate and simple,kind of calming,until you get stung by a cruel fucking Bee. but i like it! *high five*

A very good macro is the nikkor micro 105mm. Google it

my bro has the nikkor 105 vr micro for his D40 and it works great. I have the sigma 105 for my D80 and am happy with it. Not sure if it will AF on the D40 though.
