Hi /p/
Is this a good attempt at HDR or do I totally fail?

HDR is fail

just because you're showing off a technique you know how to use doesn't mean you can ignore rules of making good photographs.

Boring photo. It looks like the HDR program sucked out all the shadows and lighting.
>> Anonymous
Post the picture WITHOUT HDR and lets see if its any good.

I have a feeling this might actually be a decent photo if not for the Highly Damaging Rapage thats been done to it.

Also, why is it the last HDR thread the retard insisted on posting 3 and 4mb images and this guy posts some tiny little image that we can barely see?

Thanks for your opinions, guys.

Here you go. It was quite difficult taking a correctly exposed shot. I was a lot mor unexperienced and I didn't know a lot about photography when I shot this.

Oh, what sizes should I post in? I read that other thread and I quess I didn't want to be bashed just because of my file sizes.

Relax, you're doing it right

The point of HDR is making a photograph look like it's seen by the eye. That being the goal, I think your interior is a bit too light. Just try and make it look natural. Not natural photo-like, but natural reality-like.

Don't listen to all the HDR haters. They're just bitter because most newbies are using HDR in the same way as lens flare.

Yeah, I guess you're right
I'll probably stay away from HDR and only use it when it really is needed, though. I guess I'll have to practice a bit more on composition and handeling the camera right.

Woah, woah, woah, woah.

Woah.

WOAH.

Let's not be badmouthing lens flare here.

the point is to take a good picture (which clearly has not been done) you cant cover up a shitty picture with any amount of lens flare or HDR.

Here.

That resolution is a lot better, but dont be afraid to go larger, just never post the full size image unless you want your shit stolen.

I think the image has potential for HDR, but just not as extreme as it is when you first posted it, more just to bring out the features that are missing due to the light coming in from the windows.

I actually like the image and would like to see what you can do with it.

Speaking of which, I have an old Konica AR lens that produces totally awesome flare patterns.

Sounds to me like you're not using nearly enough lens flare.
