Hey, currently visiting japan at the moment, and everywhere I go I see people with the most incredibly expensive cameras.

I'm not pro, but I do take alot of pictures for my classes and myself, and am currently using a previously owned rebel xt and canon ultrasonic 28-105mm zoom lens.

Anyways, I feel like with such a love for cameras in japan and so many models coming out all the time there must be some amazing used camera stores.

But all the ones I've seen so far have been far more expensive than those back in New York.

Does anyone here know of any good used camera stores in tokyo?

Japan kind of looks down on the used market, Its almost lowering your class by buying something used, And selling things is looked upon as being cheap and of low status.

People used to be able to loot some kickass stuff from the garbage piled up behind peoples houses, So there is actually systems set in place so that it won't happen as much, Finding something used in japan is going to be quite difficult I'm afraid.

I assumed youve checked Akihabara?

shit really? Yeah, I checked akihabara. I'm cross checking everything I find against B&H's used section so I have some sort of reference point.

the thing is, they actually have a huge selection of used lenses here, it's just they're all really expensive...

Don't buy electronics over seas; Remember warranty coverage is more important than saving a few dollars.
