It's got five thyristor modes, five manual modes, is dedicated (lights the flash light in viewfinder when ready) and is pretty powerful for its size. Another good-un to look for that's usually super cheap because it's so old is the SB-15. The 15 only has two Auto modes, however. Manual fires full out, MD is about 1/10th power. I only use MD to trigger other strobes, generally.
These vintage speedlights work as great on digital as they did on film, don't let people convince you that you need TTL flash. If you really want a poofter, use a paper napkin. Snake it through in between the arms of the built-in flash while it's up and tie it back. Don't drop $20 on that thing.
