'Sup, /p/.

I'm just starting to get into portrait photography after spending about a year doing landscapes almost exclusively. Thought I'd ask your opinion and what-not.

Please excuse the image dimensions, they're all I have on hand right now.

These are pretty much just spontaneous, just friends being how they are.

I love spontaneous portraits, especially of friends; I do them all the time. I've been meaning to post some, but I want to get permission from all the friends I've shot that I want to post a photograph of and I haven't gotten around to it. 4chan = not the typical photography board.

These are great compositionally, but I think fiddling around with them in levels would really help. They're still great photographs, though.

>>56734and>>56734are the best; I see no problem with them other than the thing with levels.>>56735is a genuinely wonderful photograph.

>>56733would have been better if you had taken a step or two in the guy's direction, or if you cropped off the space to the side of the girl. Too much empty space. Also, if you could have been able to get the girl leaning at just a little bit less of an angle.

>>56737would be better if you took a step or two back, to frame their heads against their bodies a bit more.

Personally, I love the stripes on the girl's shirt. It makes for a more interesting picture because of the high contrast. Fairly successful series compared to a lot of shots people take of their friends.

No need to excuse the image dimensions. Resized = win as far as I'm concerned. Rarely do I need > 2 MP to tell if a photo is good. These are good shots.

I"m in the same position as>>56757. I'd want to have permission from my friends, and If I censor them, The pics are useless to /p/. I do, however, use a unique method of censorship that I think can sometimes add to photos... Pic related.
