I've just started shooting film again for the first time in years, and I forgot just how satisfying it is. I really need to get access to a darkroom, because those bastards at CVS butchered half of my roll. :(

Alas, twas a test roll anyways. Comments?

Sorry about the godawful scans, this is a university lab, and ugh. HP scanjet 4570c, used approximately 10,000 times, I'm estimating cleaned once.

What'd they do to your roll?

I'm pissed off at Rite Aid for screwing up my developing, personally. I think (although I'm not certain) that they let some light leak in my last roll through the SLR, and they fucked up printing the last roll through my rangefinder which made me afraid that I'd screwed up fixing the light seals on it.

Dunno, though after checking out my Canon EOS Rebel's shutter, there's some sort of gunk that I didn't dare attempt to clean off on it, might be making it stick on the really fast exposures. So either she developed the shit wrong with her Fuji Lab-In-A-Box, or my camera has a mechanical glitch. We'll see.

Any comments on the actual photos? I'm incredibly pleased with the beautiful fine grain and the contrast. The first is my favorite. I'm really disappointed that they (or my camera) ate away a really cute shot of this little 8 year old girl (in b4 loli haet camera)
