y/n? my first time with film
Good that you are getting out and experimenting, but in this case I have to ask you what is the subject meant to be? There's nothing there that draws the eye or gives meaning to it.
Came out good, but do you have any more? This is awfully empty and black, not much to even see.
yea this is about the only shot that came out decent. it was pitch black out.your right its not much to look at, it was a parking garage on the roof of a building, I thought the lighting looked cool
There isn't really any composition to this, or any specific subject that stands out. Film or digital, it's just some windows.
thanks for the criticism guys, Ill be sure to take it into acknowledgment next time
>>98670potential to be cool; kinda neat if you crop off the bottom and look at the top, but it IS a bit dark. I'm guessing it's a nearly designed building from a parking lot? Bring a tripod with you and bracket a bit more- your fstop was too high i think. Stick to about f8 or f11; you'll get a little bit more of the building than just some windows.
I had the aperture all the way open. I think its my scanner, when I preview the negative, you can see lots of detail in the concrete wall, but when I do a full scan to a tif its almost pitch black
>>98942you should be able to mess with your scanner settings a little bit to make it look better. hmm.
I tried all the possible settings, it always gets a lot darker when doing a full scan. i don't change a single setting in between the preview and full scan
If all else fails, you may be able to bring back some detail with postprocessing. That may make it more interesting.
>>98942Do you have gain calibration or an exposure extender on your scanner? You might try tweaking some settings to get better range.
