I think that what matters is the final result, as long as you don't lie about your methods. All these art-fags get all caught up in "tradition" and "style" and all that other bullshit. If the end result is good, it doesn't matter how you got it.
The only bad thing about post-processing is that it shouldn't be used as an excuse to be sloppy in taking the picture itself. Post processing should only be used after the limits of either the camera or the situation have been reached. But there's nothing inherently good or bad about it, just about how it's used.
