How does /p/ scan their film?

Pic related, me and my dad. Circa 1990. Opened up MSPaint to a white canvas and held the negative up to the screen then took a photo. Shooped it to get the color right.

What's a good cheap scanner? Only ones I know of are Canoscan and Coolscan. Will any be able to scan negatives, slides, even 120film, etc? Does the film need to be cut?

Heh, wasn't really planning on doing this seriously with all my film. Would take too long not mention the lack of quality, Just curious and wanted to see if it was possible and I needed a pic related.

I use a coolscan 9000ED, with the right film holder you can do negatives, slides, 120, 220. Film needs to be cut, but if you store film uncut anyhow, you're being pretty stupid.
Also, handling film without plastic gloves will leave chemical fingerprints, that if not washed off, will deteriorate your film eventually. Just so you know.
