This is a tribute of sorts for a friend we buried yesterday.

You know the Jewish tradition of laying rocks on the grave instead of flowers. I was going for that feel.

It's not a great photo by any means, but it's one of those where I can honestly say there's emotion in it. For me at least.

Rip it apart ol chums. I wouldn't have posted it if wasn't expecting it.

For those of you who have lost loved ones recently or otherwise. I hope you're doing alright.

"May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."

And this might not be a "great photo," but looking at it I can see emotion went into it, which is the main thing missing from 99% percent of photographs people throw up. Good work.

It's a nice picture, but to everyone but you it's just rocks.

Thank you, and I wished my friend's family a 'Long Life'. Funny thing is, my friend would have loved seeing me in a Kippah, the only Chinese Jew in a service of 700+

>>120475

Yeah, i know. To me, it's a small mountain of monument to my friend. A reminder of the Rock of Israel.

I think it ROCKS!

if he was cremated we could have made some tasteful jokes about popping Jews in the oven, lol.

the photo is just some rocks to me, even if it is a okay shot of them, but if it works for you then that is all that matters.

It's like a normal Jew, but they have to get in the wok instead of the oven.

I lolled too hard. Well played, tripfag. And I'm going to hell.

if you're going for the idea of the rocks on graves, this gives me more of the feel that i'm looking at a tribute to the holocaust instead of a single death, just because of the extent of the rocks. this picture seems to have no end to them, so representing the deaths of the millions who died. but that's just what i take from it. it's a good picture, though.

haha thank you, i lol'd

technically there is nothing against cremation in Judaism as the purpose of a jewish funeral is to show we are all equal in death and to be as spartan as possible as to ease the financial burden on the family. Sometimes that entails a cremation as they are relatively inexpensive, however the ashes are still to be buried.

But more recently, due to obvious historical sensitivities, cremation has pretty much disappeared in Jewish tradition... understandably, it's like giving the Nazis a small victory each and everytime.

Man you really are going to hell. I found it funny but i didn't laugh... go figure.

That's a pretty cool intrepretation. For me it's just the never ending monument. Each stone representing a moment in time when I've kept him in my prayers
