Don't knock that Tamron 28-75mm f2.8, dude. There are times I prefer it over my Canon 24-105mm L.

I have that lens on my crop, for when I go fullframe. Nice to see someone thought the same, that's a pretty badass pair. :)

no offense

but Tamron makes some ugly looking lenses. sure, it doesn't matter to the pictures you take but come on, make an effort

Why the hell doesn't the 5D have built-in flash?
>> Anonymous
>>181322

Same reason the D3 doesn't have one? Same reason other pro level don't have one?

Large viewfinder = large prism. It's also harder to weather seal it, even though Olympus did it for the lulz.

If you can afford a 5D/D3/etc, you can damn well afford a 430EX/580EX/Nikon equivalent. And if you're using flash, you might as well be using one of those.

Talking about 5D owners who can afford a flash.

1D II N, 5D, 30D, 580EX times 3, 24-70 L, 70-200/2.8 L IS, 135/2 L, 17-40 L, 85/1.8, 50/1.4, 100/2.8.

Yes, but sometimes one doesn't plan on using a flash but finds out fill is needed or something. Pop-up flash comes in handy for that. Also, for people who just sling a camera over their shoulder and go, a flash unit isn't something they want to carry.

Granted, a D3 or any big square-bodied camera isn't a "sling over the shoulder and go" thing, but a 5D with a 50/1.4 or 35/2 or something like that is.

Guys, I'm about to buy a Leica M8 but it doesn't have a built-in flash so that's kind of putting me off a bit.

Sometimes I just want to sling a camera over my shoulder and go,

If you have enough disposable income to afford an m8, you're rich enough to get a noct.
->problem solved.

>>181428
If you want a pop up flash on an M you're missing the god damn point.

it's already out, it's in the D3 :)

It's a high speed variant for sport people with insane sensitivity.

It still doesn't match the range of film or an absurdly high resolution sensor like a 1Ds.

Wait for the "real" one.
>> Jeremo !iKGMr61IHM
>>181725

You missed my point, it's still a 35mm equiv sensor.
