I think this one, because I dislike big objects out of focus in the foreground. I like the sharpness.

if you had something more interesting in the background to focus on, then it might work, but otherwise its just a big out of focus thing in the front, and ??? in focus

Lol. Plant a tripod, stop it down to a ridiculous f/22 or something, and get both.

I prefer the foreground focus. The thing in the foreground is a lot more interesting than the house. However, I'd like it more if the background were better. I don't think the power/telephone lines in the background are really giving you the sort of look you should be striving for. Maybe just shop 'em out (shouldn't be too hard since they're thin and on top of easily-cloned backgrounds).

thanks, i didnt have my tripod with me that day, but in case you were wondering those ??? and "things" are celtic crosses and original thatched roof houses on Inishmor in Ireland
