Signed, don't post your 5sec snapshot here.

"If your photos are boring, you're not close enough"

This could definitely be a good shot, but I doubt that it ever will be taken from a moving car. Personally, I'd have tried to get close enough to just take a closeup of the little yellow bit of the cross.

(Unless that's like 20 feet in the air. I can't really judge the size of the cross from this picture)

(Which is another problem with this picture)

I had no control over stopping the vehicle whatsoever (yeah I was on a tour bus...)I feel however that the shot still turned out well. unfortunately I also couldnt control the color and composition of the sky.

Oooh hate that.

I went on a tour of the Quarry near my house, hoping to get some pictures of big-ass industrial equipment and massive piles of rock and whatnot. Ended up the "tour" was just a quick drive around the quarry on a bus. With dark tinted windows no less. I got one reasonably good pic out of it.

I'm tempted to ask if they'll give me a personal tour on foot sometime... Probably not, though.

yeah that's harsh, i wish I could get the local shipyard to let me wander around, but being a 96 pound gal in a shipyard full of guys is kinda scary. For being taken out of a window of a moving vehicle, though, the sky's pretty well filtered and the composition's pretty decent.
