Hey, /p/

I am putting together a real serious camera bag for a few trips lined up in early June. I've got a dSLR with 3 lenses (18-70mm f3.5/5.6, 70-210mm f4, 50mm f1.7) and a pretty large set of Cokin A-series filters and holders and rings.

So that's the size of the bag I'm putting together - something not massive for a big photo shoot or something, but not minimalist either.

If you could pick one or two things (or maybe more) that you think are unique to your bag (neat tips + tricks) and have really come in handy, what would they be?

I've got a neat little combination 18% grey lens cleaning cloth in my bag. It's really handy, even though I haven't used the 18% greyness yet.

Infrared Filter, ND400 filter (Will definitely need a tripod for the ND400)
SB-600 (flash) and a little stand for it to fire wirelessly at ease
Large ziploc bag for rainy days (Cut a hole in it to put the lens through.)

thats all i can think of really.

Couldn't hurt to have a backup camera, even if it's just an old P&S.

I've tried keeping that in my bag, but I always just get hungry and end up eating it.

I keep a slave shoe or trigger in there, elastic bands (business card bounce trick), an omnibounce for my big flash and a set of extension rings.

Always a good idea if the bag is for specific "Gone Shootin'" trips. An everyday bag, dunno, probably not a must-have item. If it's a niche-y 2nd camera, that'd definitely be worth it. Something bitty like an olympus pen or an FE+pamcaek. A folder is fine too.
