Thanks! Heh, yea.. I read that a black frame compliments a dark picture, but I guess its kind of unnecessary.. Its not like my screen is a gallery.

Looks pretty damned good, I have no issues with it at all.

(Better than anything I have done to date)

great shot. It alot of cases something like that bench would ruin it , but with the way you've taken the shot with the bench to the left but including all of it makes it a great shot.
keep up the fucking good work.
and get a name. and a tripcode

I'd like to see a bigger version of that picture.
>> Anonymous
Really excellent. The colours are extraordinary. How long were your exposures?

the bench also adds because it follows the angles of the horizon and the shoreline perfectly, great shot.

Hey.. Thank you very much.
I dont remember.. But I usually shoot pics like that in about -1 on the lightmeter to get better detail in the sky. Then I photoshop it. I actually made this one even darker with curves/levels, to try and get past that regular sunrise feel.

can we know what camera did you use?
I would also like to see the original non shoped.

/r/ for EXIF and original of it !

also, are you kidding ? this is like the best picture in weeks to appear here, seriously (except that one hot chick which was posted a few days ago, hehe)
>> danchr
Wow.. Thank you guys so much! : )

Its an HDR. Three different exposures: -2 0 +2

In other words, the original would be three pictures.. or actually even more, cause its a panorama.

EXIF:

-2
shutter speed 1/100
f/3,5
ISO 200

0
shutter speed 1/25
f/3,5
ISO 200

+2
shutter speed 1/6
f/3,5
ISO 200

Shot with eos400d and the kit lens(18-55) at 18mm.

oh.. and I used a tripod and the self timer to avoid shaking the camera.

woah I m discovering so many tihings about photo, I didn't know anything about it, and it s kinda fun :D
thinking that I browsed this board just to get rid of the blur when taking my crappy shots without flash on my crappy fuji A204...
shit I hope this wont be a passion to me...
because this one seems expensive.

I have only been doing it for a few weeks, but I can definitely recomend that you invest in some camera gear. Its a very rewarding hobby.

And.. it doesnt have to be expensive. I live in Norway, in other words, to me it is expensive like everything else.
if you live in america a 400d (digital rebel XT or something) is quite cheap.
