>>52232 Tar has a nice, impressionistic thing going, and the surreal effect of the (tar?) on the ground reflecting the fluorescent light strips works marvelously. All that, the slightly off-center composition, and the brightness in the back gives the photograph a genuine sense of unease that ultimately is what makes it great.
Desire is a good subject and well-composed, but it is significantly diminished by the small DoF. You shouldve had more to place the moth in the frame, and not pull it out and blur the rest of it into irrelevancy.
Natural Technology is witty, extremely well-executed, and I love the colors in it, all the shades of green and so on.
Still Waters works for several reasons. First, Ive a feeling you putting this in black and white was a wonderful decision. Second, the tower on the bridge and the tree give the photograph a sort of border-within-the-frame, making it more than just a bridge retreating into the woods. Lastly, the location (the trees, the hills, etc.) is just great.
Open Wound should have been another overly abstract macro, but it works here: There is real mystery going on here. It could have benefited from more depth of field; the out-of-focus foreground is really distracting.
