Does the Adorama cable release work on all cameras, for instance, my Nikon D80?
It will work on all cameras that use a standard screw-in cable release. Unfortunately most currently produced cameras do not because the manufacturers would prefer to sell you an expensive electronic release that's specific to your camera. It will not work with a D80.

>>105889I believe that that's the exact same cable.
read your goddamn manual
I have a RCA universal remote control. Since it's universal, will it work, for instance, on my Nikon D80?People this stupid shouldn't be allowed to own a camera.
>>105898The Nikon D80 has an infrared sensor for remote triggering its shutter. So... there's actually a pretty good chance that you could get a Universal Remote like that to work with it. I know I've heard of people doing it with Canons.
>>105898its got a hell of a lot larger chance than the other two, with some firmware hacking you probably COULD get it to work :P
>>105901>>105900For the last 2 years I'v eused a "Pogo" universal programmed remote to trip my D70s and D50 Remote shuttersPeople in china re-program them and sell them for like 6$ on ebay
why would you ever want to use a universal remote? The remote you can buy from Nikon to use on the D50 and D80 is small and fits nicely in a camera bag.I would never want to truck around some RAC universal remote.
I see /p/ doesn't know the word "Sarcasm"
some people are dumb. some people want a cheap way out of things. That why I responded the way I i did.
You can buy remote to d80 from ebay, starting $1 (chinese copy). Only D100 has standard remote cable slot in the shutter button.
