Anyone have a set of kenko tubes?
I want to do some macro stuff, and these seem pretty interesting.

Will it give me comparable results to a dedicated macro lens?

most effective with a 50mm

comparable? not really

usable, yeah

Are you retarded? Of course it's comparable. It's very similar, in fact, depending on the lens you use.

uh

you're going to be right on top of the fucking subject as opposed to a nice working distance, have fun chasing shit around

AF goes to shit

you lose 1.5 to 2 stops of light

macro lenses have flat field

shut the fuck up now

is the only reason I care at all. And it is sufficient reason that I shall be buying a 100mm macro. Because...goddamn.

No the optics are not as good, and it's considerably harder to work with. Get a cheap bellows instead, slightly more flexible in use than the kenko tubes. If you're decent with a soldering iron by the cheap 40$ on ebay and wire it yourself for the AF, though you still will likely be stuck on manual because of loss of light.
