WHERE IS YOUR JOBS NOW, APPLE?

(Answer: probably overseeing an R&D department working on a Macbook Pro like this.)

Touch screens on laptops = retarded

>Lenovo has released the ThinkPad W700 laptop aimed at photographers and designers, offering a built-in graphics tablet and color calibrator.

Really?

Seriously. I wouldn't have a mac at all if it weren't for the OS. This comp is cool and I'm sure some people will love it, but it's really not going to steal any business from Apple.

Are you sure you aren't thinking about the Wacom 21UX? Like Scott Adams uses?

People who have issues with Vista fail at computers. Hard.

LOL VISTA SUCKS LOL llooll LOL!!1 MOJAVE IS BETTER!

A 21UX would be too big and it requires an external power supply, so a traditional tablet would make more sense for portable design/photo work.

Real pros use tablet monitors.

DUH NO SHIT.

I'm talking about an alternative to OP's portable solution.

Fucking nice laptop, damn!!!

The second half of your post is bullshit.

sure still is pretty /g/ in here.

i mean, CRTs > LCD.

Why doesnt this have a CRT if its trying to have a good colour gammut.

So you're admitting that you don't have the first clue about memory management. You probably tried Vista when it first came out with an underpowered computer. You're a "power user". You know how to change your desktop image and you're pretty sure you know what's up with computers.

Vista is a great OS. That "shiny" OS you were referring to is OS-X. Vista is incredibly capable.

Why the fuck is this thread here? Take your stupid computer geek e-peen contest back to /g/.

Because this is a computer designed for photographers. It's like if twenty years ago we were discussing a portable darkroom kit.

The future of laptops is looking pretty good. Can't wait to see all this tech trickle down and raise the base level. It'll be great for photographers too.

LOL ThinkPad

I'd love to see them put a high-gamut panel and colour calibrator in a more viable portable, like a 14" or 15" T-series.

Actually, if someone were to integrate something like the Wacom Cintiq into a laptop/tablet comp., it would be incredibly badass and extremely useful for digital work in the field.

Many tablets are availible with wacom digitizers, including thinkpads. They all suffer from horribly shit lcd panels.

OK, I'll clarify then. If someone were to do it WELL...
