Nothing wrong with 4:3 ratio. If you think the only valid ratio is the 2:3 from your SLR, then I know some photographers shooting medium format at 1:1 or 6:7 or large format photographers shooting 4:5 or 5:7 who'd like to laugh at you.

I wouldn't have said it in quite so assholetastic a fashion, but I've gotta agree. If you're trying to be a good photographer, you wanna spend more time on the other side of the lens.

Signed. This from someone who strongly prefers 3:2 ratio for most photographic purposes. Some of the best DSLRs being made today are actually in Olympus's four-thirds format.

What I'd like to see is a camera that shoots 2.2:1; I rather like that aspect ratio in the films I've seen it in, and as a general shape. I almost never crop my shots, since I frame it in a particular aspect ratio and so the composition usually works best as framed, so in before someone tells me to just crop it.

I was trying to be sensitive today but...

Artistic pictures on auto exposure, auto white balance, and program mode?

I think you meant lucky shots, not artistic...

I'm with ac, you gotta spend some time on the other side of the lens.
He didn't said that just cause you took some self-pictures... He read your exif data.
And I couldn't go to your models site... Leads to nowhere over here
Maybe I'll try tomorrow.
