Hi /p/ i am looking for a camera.... I'd like to get a nice digital camera.... can you help me? In b4 troll and over $9000 purchases. Price range: $200-$400. I'd like to take some quality shots and size really isn't a problem. Help me out here /p/. Suggestions for purchases are most certainly welcome

I'm sorry i don't want to spend $1,000-$5,000 on a camera, because i just want something to take pictures? I don't really care about it being a hobby, nor is it my job. Aside from that... what's up your arse today tripfag friend?

Ok if i were to get a SLR camera then what would /p/ recommend for someone just starting? No particular price range really but keep in mind it really wouldn't be too much of a hobby ( unless I start to enjoy it ), nor profession, so nothing ridiculous.

This is a great suggestion. If even that is too much money look at the E-500. It's 8MP but one helluva deal right now.

I also need to mention that you should all but disregard the number of megapixels. It's not important.

He's right, as long as it's above 5MP, no problem. I'd shop around to find what has the best balance of noise, sharpness, and other image quality thingies for you.
