Half-Eye !Ir.x8Zkt3c
Hello, /p/, imagine two proud owners of the "El Cheapo" f/1.8 II Canon (one mounted to an EOS 350, one on an 40D), and we are debating how to mount screw-on filters on them - there is no visible threading despite the fact that canon lists it as 52mm capable. Ideas?

Er. I realize you're only working with half an eye here, but you seem to have a vastly different idea of what "no visible threading" means than I do...

SEMI-RELATED FUN FACT: Plastic caps from Zlaty Bazant beer cans work nicely as lens caps for many 52mm-thread lenses.

Erm, visible threading is referring to the actual lens, not the photos.

I actually got a friend a UV filter for his thrifty fifty as a Christmas gift.

I also got him a filter for his XTi's kit lens and some batteries, but his parents gave him a 40D as a gift, making those two pointless. Go figure.

I don't get this thread.

Is it just OP being stupid and not seeing the filter thread?
>> Warren !WSxruxpIJs
OP definitely needs to clarify if he hopes anything to actually be accomplished.
