Dear /p/, I'm fucking confused,

I have decent rechargable batteries fir my K100d

Pic unfucking related, took it in Borneo with a pentax E50 P&S

(they're made by sony, shit is soo shit)

Anyway, they're not holding any charge, seriusly I took a fucking fresh set outta the sharger, into camera, battery de-fucking-pleted...

I've used different chargers, no fucking luck, different brand of batteries, different cameras, no fucking luck,

IT MAKETH NO SENSE!

Weird... All I used were Energizer 5200 mAH rechargeables with my K100D. One thing I did notice though was that the camera would say that the batteries were either depleted or only half charged when I would put them in, BUT after turning it off and then back on, it would display that they were at full charge and stay on. K100D's can be a bit wonky with the rechargeables like that, you might have to play around with brands and power ratings.

If you find some you like that work well post 'em please, at the moment I'm sticking with Energizer Lithiums because I can't be bothered buying a decent charger/sets of rechargeables.

Are you using a Duracell charger and batteries by any chance?

Energizer 2500mAh NiMH rechargeables. Charge them up all night, shoot all day. Lather, rinse, repeat. Haven't failed me yet after a year of shooting in my K100D with two sets of batteries that I rotate in and out of the camera. They're pretty cheap too.

You're a brave man to come that close.

No mention of Eneloops or Recyckos yet? I had four Energizer rechargeables once and a quick charger, they were alright until my P&S stopped accepting them as full off the charger and when they were depleting totally the next day. Then I got my some Recyckos that came with a slow charger. Slow chargers (5 hours+) are usually better than quick chargers (1hour) because quick chargers can shorten the life of your batteries. After that, I got some eneloops and charge them with the same charger and use them with my old flash.
