Hello /p/ since Christmas is coming soon, I need to buy a camera bag for all my new lenses and flashes. Usually I just put them into a regular backpack, but with those lenses bouncing around, I think I may need a change. What do you recommend ? Also, sorry for making another recommendation thread, if you want, you can comment on my picture on the left.

How much gear are you carrying around with you? No point making suggestions if they are too small or too big.

Is this to wear while you are taking pictures or just for storage and transport?

Right now all I have are two lenses, one camera body and a heavy speed-light. Although it may not seem much, I travel a lot and also I want to make room for other stuff like future lenses or food and etc. I mainly need something that I can carry around with me on the run and easy access to my camera. Thanks.

Have you looked at the Lowepro Slingshot bags? I've mentioned them before. I've got one and it works well for me. It's got the advantage of having a modular system with the velcro dividers you can alter and expand it with added pouches.

With it I can carry it all on my back, slide it around and get access to the camera or flash without removing the backpack, then put it back the same way when I am finished.

If you've got a couple of larger lenses like the 70-200 or larger then you might want to get a compatible pouch to add on to the bag.

I've used other bags and brands that were also very good. That one I happened to get cheaply and it works for me. There must be similar bags from other makers if you don't like the look of Lowepro's offering. I am impressed with the quality of manufacturing of their stuff. The prices of the largest bags can get quite scary though.

If you're looking for larger bag to store everything you have then you'd be better with a more traditional back pack. You'd be best browsing the manufacturer's websites. They'll show the ranges there and how much you can pack into them, usually a photo with it in use. You'll see what sort of think you need that way. I still think it's handy to have a smaller bag for when you only want to carry a few select items. Up to you, of course.
