yea that was kind of an accidental shot that came out looking good. i shot 400 pictures at the AF2 arena football game and 400 at the baseball game. i do not want to sort them. does anyone have experience shooting in arenas? it kind of sucks, even with my 70-200 f2.8 lens. high iso and low shutters

Why are there vertical bars on the baseball pic?

theres a mesh thing that goes all the way around the backstop and i couldn't get close enough to shoot through it and i don't have a long enough lens to shoot from somewhere its not. possibly fixable in photoshop but prolly not

waste of time, All photography schools are pretty much, Spend that time taking like a business degree, or marketing or something else, and in your free time learn how to take pictures on your own.

Its more profitable and relevant in the marketplace, and taking good pictures isn't even half of the job when you are a working pro!

Truth.

Get a real degree in business or marketing and do the photography as a side job. That way youll get extra income and dont have to sell your soul to make a living. Best advice I can give you is to pick a school that might have darkroom or studio available for you to use on your free time.

signed for fucking truth. There's more marketing involved in being a professional photographer than taking photos. I learned this from a friend who's a photographer for this ad agency that his friend manages and most of the business is selling yourself and your portfolio. This is true down both sides of the spectrum from fashion/glamour photography to war photojournalism. Of course having the eye is essential but it's a very competitive world and everyone else also has an eye. Your best shot is to join an established studio or agency.
