Pump ISO up and the aperture down.Oh, and better to buy a (d)SLR and some nice tele lens with IS (because you're worth it).And if you want to have a very nice background blur, use panning. Follow the car with your camera.
Monopod, high ISO, moderate aperture, long lens, preferably with IS. Practice tracking objects in the viewfinder. RTFM, get to know your AF system very well, don't be afraid to pull focus by hand if the AF is struggling.
