/p/ this is srs business.
I want to start shooting film along with digital.
would I be better off investing in a film negative/positive scanner or a home dark room?
picture unrelated as i do not use my desktop for my photos.

Darkroom's really aren't terribly expensive to set up these days if you only want to shoot B&W, which is really the best place to start and then maybe branch into colour later. You could set one up for the same price as a decent scanner.

If you want to shoot B&W and make prints set up a darkroom.
If you want to shoot colour and share your photos online get a scanner.
