make sure you use Save As and not Save for Web. If that doesn't work then IDK

Cool technique but why emphasize the headdress?
Why not the balls?

I always use Save As but due to the layering of the colours PS saved it as a .psd and i have no idea how to save the EXIF data that way...

I posted the original here, as you can see the balls are brown and black so it wouldn't have been any good. Also the focus on the Gay Warchief hat is sentimental. This is my buddy on the begining of his bucks night, we all had to wear a hat and that was his as the Buck. So it was symbolic... and also... as you can see from the original unedited photo... it's about the only interesting thing with colour in the photo :D

You can pick more than just .psd in that dialog you know. If for whatever reason it won't let you because of layers, do LAYER - FLATTEN IMAGE first.

I have used photoshop before, and I know how to do a lot of things with it...but I have never really found out how to have the subject in color, and edit the background into baw...
Can I have detailed instructions on how? :\

awright, here a a tutorial on true 'colorization' that is making baw into color. as a baw fanatic i find this practice wrong and barbaric, but hey, whatever blows your skirt up.
http://www.worth1000.com/tutorial.asp?sid=161018

if you want to do what the OP did or similar, the easiest, hack-and-paste method assuming you dont want to get into masking, is to copy the layer into another layer, and either grayscale the botom layer or the top layer depending on whether there is going to be more grey or color in the finished image. useing the erase tool, with the top layer selected, erase all the baw you want to be color or all the color you want to be baw which ever the case is for what you put on top. this is by no means the best way to do this but from your coment i'm guessing your a little new to photoshop to want to get into masking. another quick way is to, as mentioned above, use the lasso tools on your top layer and hit delete when your shape is compleated. if you want to try masking later there are tons of tutorials online for that, google is your friend.
