Hey /p/ My Small Compact Olympus 4 Mega pixel broke.

I know I don't have as many fancy cameras as you, but I've been thinking of getting into photography doing outside scenery and some inside venue shots.

Budget wise, It doesn't matter I can simply save up.

Any suggestions?

Preferably Digital, I was thinking about getting a film one, but I would have to develop them myself because I wouldn't like to do a one hour photo.

Of digital SLRs, most of them are worth their price and the differences between systems are quite subtle unless you go for the $2000+ range. Choose a camera based on the lenses you want, not vice versa (you should remember your favorite angles from the compact, or whether you wanted something longer or wider).

Of compacts, none of them are going to give you a significant jump in quality or flexibility compared to your old olympus, also, /p/ haet compacts.
