hi /p/ how does one achieve this lighting effect?
i was just wondering because i absolutely love it.. and if anyone knows the source of this picture id thank you lots, i downloaded it a while ago just so i could ask this but forgot where i got it from

nevermind, i realized it can be done with just a high shutter speed and artificial lighting.. but the question still stands where the picture came from

use a flashgun and a diffuser.

or a built in flash and a piece of paper.

Jeez, the photographer hit her so hard with full frontal flash that it bloodied her nose.

(From the catchlights in her eyes and shadows, it looks like it's just one normal everyday flash--i.e., not even a ring flash--placed right in front of her. The complete lack of ambient and the Anime-esque size of her pupils suggest that there's little to no light other than the flash going on here. Which must have made it fun to focus)
