I like the picture because of things that are in places they don't belong.

I have to agree with the fat indie fags, though.

Okay, now keep the sharpness of this shot, put the guy back in, and put a TV remote control and a bored look on him.

Then do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around...

Actually, I kinda like 60023's suggestion. First picture's not so bad in concept, but a bit out of focus. Composition may have been helped, too, if the couch hadn't been centered so perfectly--with the guy on one side, it looks kinda lopsided.

Second photo was the first on /p/ I looked at today, because of the purty colors and wacky juxtaposition (it's a couch...outside!), so it certainly wins the "ohay, neat photo, I must click at it" award. I'm not sure if the photo could have been made more interesting by offsetting the couch from the center, though I -do- think it'd be neat to see it in a wide view/panaroma--that is, couch in the same centerish position, same height of photo, but a wider view for more grassy goodness. More color contrast, or whatnot.

I think, as crazy as this sounds, this would make a great shot with a fisheye, shot from the corner.
