> Would you consider upgrading your current wide angle lens rather than adding another? Potentially, but the lens it comes with isn't exactly brilliant quality or speed, so I'd like a somewhat better lens.
> Are there any focal lengths you feel are a must or want to add to your kit? Decent quality at general use focal lengths would be nice, I don't know if a fairly strong wide angle would be useful for landscapes etc while I'm in Mongolia (I said next month, I meant next year for one month). Exteme wide angle is something I don't really have covered right now. I don't find myself using the telephoto much.
> What kind of pictures do you want to take and in what kind of conditions? I'm still not sure on the "what kind of pictures", part, but the conditions are mostly fairly standard, nothing extreme - except for this Mongolia trip, which will be interesting.
> Are you happy with the image quality and performance of the lenses you have? I don't mind the 18-55 too much when using it, but then I swap to my 50mm and vastly prefer both the quality and the fast aperture. However, the 50mm on a cropped DSLR isn't really useful for much beyond portraits, I've found.
