Let's get one part over with; I know I'm a fucking retard, so you can leave that part out.
Anyways:
I got a canon eos400D maybe.. 2 years ago?
And everything's worked fine thats not the issue.
But somehow I managed to break off something in hte flash-bit of the camera maybe a month ago. The flash didn't stop working but the issue was I couldn't fold it down again, making it impossible to take a picture without flash unless I had it on auto mode with the right light surroundings.
That wasn't TOO bad though
Today I realised that somehow the flash bit would retract, so I pushed it down and took a picture.
Then it wouldn't come back up if i pushed the button so instead i put it on auto mode hoping the camera would do it for me,
Instead it took the picture and set the flash off while it was still folded down. Smoke came out and now every single picture is with a flash again, and they're extremely overexposed. (close to completely white)

Will this like.. blow over if the camera cools down or something, is it fixeable by buying a new flash, or am I fucked?

tl;dr: I was retarded and now the flash is broken [burnt and overexposes] is it fixable?
