Here's some more pictures since my last thread dropped off 10.

I was quite pleased with how this one turned out. Was for a photography challenge that required the shot to have shoes and something starting with the letter 'R' in it.

Taken last night with an absurdly long exposure. I was using my R72 basically like a makeshift ND-BIGNUM filter because my ND4+ND8+ISO100+f/22 wasn't cutting it for the length I was hoping for.

Two people whose opinion on photography I have little real respect for told me they really liked this one. I'm not really that fond of it. Posting it to see who agrees with me. :)

Yeah, unfortunately the underside of the pier wasn't putting out a lot of infrared. Need to try long exposures at night when I can do it without resorting to the R72. :-/

Like these two; don't mind the exposure on the former either.

Seems too staged, and I don't like the composition

Did some street today using my 18-55 IS instead of the normal 35/2 I use. Wider angle and narrower aperture. Better? Or still shitsux?

You need to photograph on a choppier day to get a decent mist water effect. These are pretty meh as is. Also wait for epic side light on the pier one for some baddass shadows, if the pier is pointing the right direction for it.
>> Blackadder !!bSWRwu/NqzQ
>>255489

I like the idea and composition, but I feel that the lighting was too harsh or strong and needs to be better balanced.

Yeah, I'd hoped it was choppy enough. I guess not. It's getting towards "Buffalo weather gonna smack a bitch" season, so I should get another shot at it not too far from now.

>if the pier is pointing the right direction for it.
Isn't. Might have to see if I can find an appropriate one on Lake Ontario which might be pointed the right way.

>>255995
>I feel that the lighting was too harsh or strong and needs to be better balanced.
Yeah, I kind of agree. I would've spent more time on it, but there was this creepy kid watching us and it was freaking me out. Also, we had an appointment to keep right after it.

Here's another shot which I didn't go with for the photography challenge, but which I find oddly compelling anyway, in a sort of surreal way.

If there wasn't a shoe in the photo...

So you allowed him to bother you enough didn't get the photo as you intended. Grow some balls. You're a PHOTOGRAPHER not a skittish little mouse.

Actually, it was more that we were already running a bit late to meet up with some friends. But the kid was really creeping me out.

I really like this one AC. Yes it's posed, but I don't think that makes it a bad photo. Flash is maybe a bit too harsh as someone else mentioned, but that is a minor flaw IMO.

>>255490
Average.

>>255491
meh

>>255493
slightly over-saturated, although that would probably come up pretty good in a glossy print. I like this one.

>>255984
you did well to capture them without a "why is that freak aiming his camera this way expression". But apart from that this sucks. The tilt is lame, the colours are washed out, background is meh.

I've looked at this picture a few times now, at first the harsh shadows on her bugged me, but now I think I appreciate them. Its good for incorporating the required elements.
Makes me think she just got dumped and is looking off into the fountain. But then when I think that, I want to see more of her in the shot. Even half of her would be good.

Nope.
It's a shitty photo that displays a shitty use of flash.

PERIOD.

Best set of photos i've seen so far from you ac.

I don't know what it is about>>255491, but for some reason I really like it - even though its a boring sight.
