OP here
i heartily lol'd

I like it, OP, unsettling look on her. Something reminiscent of Crewdson's good work with this.

The background could be better, namely without that big yellow poster taking attention away, but it doesn't ruin it and I'm guessing this was candid?

1. Bokeh refers to the appearance of the blur, not the amount of it. That's depth of field.
2. Shallow depth of field is a massively overused, gimmicky technique. Use the background to add to the image instead of blurring it all to shit; if your picture's meaningful chances are a pretty flower/person/desk shit isn't the only thing in it that makes it so. Here seeing it's a bedroom adds so much context and story that wouldn't be there if it was just the girl.
3. 10/10 troll job, I bit hard and I don't care.

thanks man.

nope, not candid. just screwing around with lighting in my room. you're right about the poster, though. i should have considered that.

of course. what else would it be?

Great "in my element" shot. I don't mind the poster, it gives the shot some color and vibrancy it would otherwise lack. The focus is nice and sharp on the subject and the lighting almost seems striped in the patterns of the sheets on the bed.
Wouldn't hang it up, but it's a good portrait.

It's the color. Yellow clashes and stands out; if you could somehow re-do it in post so it's some subdued blue or red like the other poster it might actually help.

Normally I would agree that a bright yellow poster would be too distracting from the subject, but it fits with the color scheme of the photo, the maroon of the hoodie compliments the yellow poster nicely. I'd be more inclined to recommend you remove the poster behind your head. The natural progression of your eyes lead from bottom right to top left and the poster fucks up the flow.
