Ok well I noticed that you're using a reasonably long shutter speed. The A-100 has a 'noise reduction' setting which is designed to fix hot pixels when using longer exposures. Check that your Noise reduction is turned on (press the menu button and you'll see it.) That should fix the hot pixels. If it doesn't, try reseting the camera to default settings (reset option is on the second page of the menu - press the menu button then press to the right and you'll see it.) If this doesn't help, try taking it back and getting a new one.
One thing to note is that with long exposures on any digital camera, you _will_ get hot pixels. Don't expect to be able to shoot star trails, etc. with digital. Best of luck, H
