I have an old Canon A-1 that needs fixing. I miss it, though.
>> elf_man !!DdAnyoDMfCe
I have one I just got, currently out to get cleaned and the light seal replaced. Looking forward to using it.

I've never used a 400D, but the AE-1 is great and easy to use, also fairly durable. I lent a spare to a friend and he dumped an entire cup of mountain dew onto it. It still works, after some serious cleaning though.

Go onto ebay and shop around, lenses for the AE-1 are so cheap right now on ebay it hurts.

Haha, classic camera.
>> Anonymous
where would i get it cleaned? because its in need of one fairly bad.

pretty much any camera store can either do it there, or ship it off somewhere suitable

if you're motivated enough you can do it yourself via online guides, but I do not advise doing so
>> elf_man !!DdAnyoDMfCe
>>100214
Local camera stores usually clean cameras. Google was my friend.

because it's built from left over tank parts and the controls are as smooth as a baby's butt?
>> angrylittleboy !wrJcGUHncE
Just got a Yashica Electro GS off e-bay. If I'm lucky, I might be able to purchase a Minolta 7SII over the weekend.
>> thefamilyman !!rTVzm2BgTOa
>>100349
i've got a Minolta Hi-Matic E, and i love it.
I wanted a 7SII, but they are very expensive relatively.

Happened to pass by a flea market lately and found one in good condition for $30. I didn't have any money with me that day so I told the lady to try to keep it for me until Friday.

Oh lawl no you aren't
>> thefamilyman !!rTVzm2BgTOa
>>100353
wa! buy it!
My dream little camera is a Petri Colour 35, everyone i find is $++ :(

I've got a few classic cameras about 12 so far, but my fave is my Hi-Matic E, its a great no-nonsense auto range finder.

>>100284

yea, mine still works great.
>> angrylittleboy !wrJcGUHncE
>>100355

I will, if it's still there by Friday. Gotta love those Rokkor lenses.

I picked up an old pentax spotmatic a few weeks ago. I had to get a battery for the light meter, but it's all working now. I still need to go pick up some film sometime, though.

Actually, because I was taking photography in highschool and wanted a camera of my own. It was listed in the paper for $50 with a 28mm lens.

I'm using a D50. Does that count?

Compared to the D40 and D40x.

i use an Argus C3

My parents have a couple of those lying around. It's nickname is well earned, that thing would be horrible to use.

I own two ae-1's. I don't really use them since I have a d80, but I like my ae-1. It's built like a tank, but it's heavy as hell.
>> Anonymous
>>100280
i got one of those for free to from a friend's dad, came with three lenses and a canon speedlight
>> Anonymous
I'm on a AE-1 as my only camera.
>> Anonymous
i do use the canon ae-1, i have a 28 mm, a 35 - 70 mm and a 80 - 200 mm lenses, and have 2 magnifying lenses, distance/2 and distance/4. i use it a lot, although its heavy and simple, but i like that. i like it a lot because for me is digitalphotography not photography in a classical meaning because photography is a technical art, and digital photography is a digital art. if your good at photoshop you are not less an artist, but you are different kind of artist. its like calling a DJ a guitarplayer.

i strongly recommend if you are beginner to start using only 1 lense (35 mm or sth) and just start taking pictures of everything you like.

enjoy!
