hay /p/haggots.
open critique. do your worst.
A couple of things:
1. That dog isn't dead. It got up afterward and started barking at another dog.
2. I think this was taken with 200 speed film.
3. 28-80mm lens
4. As for my own critiques, I could have used less empty space, however I remember when taking this shot I was thinking, "damn, wouldn't it be nice to have alot of empty space to lead the view down to the prone dog?" I could be wrong though...

for taking it:
GJ, though reducing the depth feild even further would've been better

In the darkroom:

try burning the top corners and top edge a little but to give better balance.

Needs more bokeh.

I like it. It reminds me of the Acropolis in Athens.

Funny, that's where it was taken.

Then it must be a good picture if it reminds me of where it was taken, right? :P

Too much empty sky space. If you had lowered it, not so much that the dog was centered, it would have been a little more pleasing to the eye.

its far better than most of the crap posted here by digikiddies- try using a larger format camera, the grain distracts me a bit, also I think the sky space is fine, though the bottom is a bit heavy, I don't think there's much you should do to fix it, probably lower contrast.

i thought the whole photo should be in focus, not just the dog. Otherwise a good shot!
