is there any sort of quick fix for scans of negative film? when i scan them they just go blue (as in the picture) how duz i fix this!?!?!1 or can i even fix it?

Mostly software though, if you have a shit scanner the only option really is to get a better one.

backlight your scanner.

Looks like your picture actually looks like that.. Look at the sprocket holes of your film, the text actually gets scanned fine.

I've tried all kinds of ways to nig-rig a backlight onto my flatbed scanner... :/ No avail. I've tried ductaping a flash light shining on the film, a strobelight with diffuser aimed on it a white sheet of paper with several flash lights on it... Nothing :/

Use a diffused source like a light or tracing table.
