Sup, /p/. I'm new to your side of 4chan, and I have a question. I recently received an Olympus OM-1 from my aunt. I was outside taking pictures today, went and got the film developed, but the pictures were all blue, or had a mostly blue hue or tinge to them. So, what did I do wrong, and how can I prevent that from happening again.

your camera probably has a light leak.
check the seals around the back of the camera and make sure they're not sticky or too deteriorated.
make sure you're shutter and aperture are working properly.

If it's a uniform blue tint, it's probably not a light leak. Perhaps the film isn't balanced for the light situation, or is expired. Where were you taking pictures, OP?

OP here. I was down at the beach, so it was very sunny out.

This most likely. Try a new film from a different shop.

Also, congrats on your new camera, it's one of, if not the most awesome camera yet produced.

OK, so your crank needs repairing. As long as the camera's is OK.

See a doctor.

I used to have a batered old OM-1N, pretty much the same thing. Could be old/cheap/both film, or a bit of moisture in the lens casing.
Awesome camera!

did you accidentally use tungsten film?
anyway, check the light seals, though its unlikely a leak would turn your photos blue. try some different film, it's a great camera.
