Sup /p/, right now i have a manual Chinon slr, and I'm planning to buy a Nikon D60 (but still wanna use the chinon). The question goes out to those who have both an slr and a dslr: When do you use the film camera, and when the digital?

id use the digital for snapshots and unimportant things. for important things and money making shots, slide film.

also if shooting sports digital. a little easier with fast AF

digital when i can't afford to process the film and i'm just fucking around, also i use digital for my models. Film/fuji velvia when i'm being serious, can afford the processing fees, and looking for higher quality.

These days it's pretty much only film unless I NEED the photo within 24 hours. I'm pretty much a 95% film fag.

I just bought 30 rolls of HP5+ in 120 and another 10 of Velvia 100F in 120. I also shoot FP4 in 120 and 4x5, though I haven't used both it and my 4x5 for a while.

You 35mm?

OP here,

ohwow.

i have Chinon CS and i have a Nikon d40x....once you upgrade you will use the DSLR alot more. Something i have found is that when you capture a good image with the dslr, you want to recreate it on film, to see the differences, see if you cant find anything more. but ultimate, the dslr will force your manual slr into retirement
