For the Birds ... celotil !AN26.8FkH6
I was at Bribie again on the weekend.
Yesterday I was just aimlessly wandering around, taking shots of anything that looked colourful, when this old couple, locals, who'd walked past me stopped and motioned me over.
<-- This is the little guy they spotted for me.

Crop it, and resize for love of god. Has potential but work with it.

could use a good bit tighter crop, maybe re framed so that the bird sits to the left of the photo looking to the right. pretty bird, what kind of bird is it?

Wanted to show not just the bird but the nest it had picked.

Not sure of the type of bird. The old couple said it was a Lorikeet. Spellchecker reckons the spelling is wrong so I looked it up on Google and found this site in the process - http://www.rainbows.com.au/ .

<-- Cranked the exposure on this so he's more visible in the bottom of this shot.

some very nice bird spots around brisbane!

I tried to get some pictures of the millions of these around Byron when I was there earlier this year, took like 20 photos and every one was blurry :/ Hadn't had the camera long heh.

Bribie is nice, used to go there for decent beaches when I lived in Beachmere :D

It's a lorikeet. I used to own one as a pet. Beautiful picture but definitely crop it, very likely with the indirect focus on the bird, more likely set to the left side of the picture or off center.

Rainbow Lorikeets as it happens... There's a bunch of them that feed in the trees outside my work. Bastards are always up against a massively bright sky backdrop tho!
