Ya personally I favor the top one, though I couldn't really figure out why myself. Curious as to what you guys thought.
Bottom one has more direct lines that all lead to the real subject, However the top one has the road leading at a different angle, and does not intersect the mountain perfectly.
The top style of shot is how I normally compose, But as a test I actively used the mountain lines and road in the bottom shot to focus directly on the mountain.
