Hi all, am currently bidding on this Ricoh rangefinder:

Never used one before, any thoughts on it for a rangefinder virgin?

Splendid! I'll be bidding on it as well, just to drive the price up!

You sucker faggot!

Not again! Just lost out like that a few hours ago. Aarrgh!

Well, I won't lose out on this one, it looks like a nice piece of kit and simple enough for even me to use...

Well I lost this one by a fooking quid!

But.... I snagged this instead:

Got it as I'm getting tired of my Ixus 500 and while I love my 40D, its too heavy to carry with the lenses everywhere and I'm still learning how to use it.

Grats. It's not a rangefinder, but it's really nicely built. The viewfinder is exceptionally bright.

Thanks a lot! I love the look of it, not bad for the price I think with flash and bag. I like to use film every now and again, as its what I loved shooting with in Sapporo with an old Eos and plan on carrying the Agfa around with me along with the old Ixy on an every day basis.

On refection, I'm actually glad I lost out on the Ricoh, as the Agfa looks like a better / cuter overall package!
