Hello, /p/. I need your advice. I took this pic and did this to it, since I found the colours boring. Now I need your opinion - is the red too boring and cliché? Should I make it entirely b&w instead?

poor bird :(

yeah it is a bit cliché. But it would have been a cool picture if it wasn't so grainy.
>> Anonymous
this is better than anything else on the front page of /p/ right now.
>> Anonymous
fuck the black and white discussion - your actual photo is cliche. Its a cat. Everyone takes photos of their cat.

"It's a person. Everyone takes photos of people."
"It's a building. Everyone takes photos of buildings."
It's a landscape. Everyone takes photos of landscapes."
et cetera, ad nauseum

At least the cat is actually doing something interesting, not just sitting there.

I like your pic how it is OP, but all BnW might be good too.

nothing worth spending energy on.

I think it's a nice photo OP, but I have a suggestion. Maybe highlight the feathers next to your kitty yarrow.
>> Anonymous
stop letting your cat kill off wildlife.

Why...?

Anyways it's a cute photo OP, and I like what you did with it. Also the background/scenery/whatever is very simple and the cat is in an interesting pose which all works in your favor. It's a good photo congrats.

I agree with this completely except I would rather just go for the pure b&w. The red distracts from the complete story the picture is telling. Congrats on actually posting a good photo!

Thank you for all the suggestions! thanks>>280581, for pointing that out. I think you're right, so here's an entirely B&W version. Like it better?

BTW, cats are hunters. Let them hunt.

Boring.

Make your cat catch another bird and recompose moving the feline to the left.

Hehe... will do.

well, it's /p/ and everything, anywho I think 280602 is a little bit too harsh (which is not to say that I want a cuddlefest). but I generally agree with this fellow, the composition doesn't feel very good. also, the b&w version is definetely better imo. if you do want to color it though, I'd suggest going for way less saturation.

other than that, I like the photo very much; it's got life/action in it.

Pussy.

Thanks for the comment. And yeah, I agree on the composition. Not much to do about it now, though. That bird won't be returning anytime soon.

I'll keep the entirely b&W version. Thanks for your help, /p/.
