Jannard will never actually release a final version of any of this. He's either a giant troll or the reincarnation of Howard "Spruce Goose" Hughes.

"Everything in life changes... including our maximum altitude and planned production run..."

Also, way to forget the link. Check out some of the cock-slurping right here, everyone:

Does anyone really give a shit about this? A unifed, modular camera system could be great, but it's clear from the renders released and reports about the Red One from cinema people (Soderbergh and one or two other people who're infatuated with the thing excepted) that Jannard does not get the first fucking thing about camera design. If any of this is real beyond these renders.

Here's the relevent thread, for people too lazy to google it themselves.

Though I'd point out that the "Everything has changed" part of his statement could just as well mean that EPIC and Scarlet *were* it, but that they have rethought a few things. I guess we'll see next week.

Hope I was wrong and there really is a separate DSLR killer waiting in the wings. I like watching paradigms shift.

Incidentally, your picture is of a Scarlet/EPIC + grip + remote + viewfinder + lens. I'm not sure if your "Here is..." refers to the pic you posted or the announcement coming up on the 3rd, but if it's the former, you fail. If it's the latter, you still might fail. We shall see.

will all the shops throw away their stock of DSLRs when this thing comes out? you think i can get a D700 for nothing if that happens?

Maybe they're announcing a giant robot that will terrorize the country using older cameras for fuel.
