/p/, wat lens do I need to get this effect?

For what it's worth, I've got a Candon 450d.

EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom and a polarizing filter (77mm for that lens, iirc)
make sure it's a slim filter

Get a Circular Polarizer and be amazed at the great color saturation you can get from a blue sky.

No need for a circular polariser. You can get pretty much the same effect in photoshop using a satuation layer and a gradient mask.

You know, it's sort of funny.

I've just recently aquired a Sigma 10-20mm for my 450d, and a standard Kenko Pro1D CPL doesn't vignette. Since I already had the 77mm CPL, I'm rather pleasantly surprised.

That is true but I personally like to get certain effects straight from a filter instead of dabbling in PS, more so since I mainly use Lightroom now when processing pictures (so its mainly Black Levels, Exposure and White Balance I mess with now).

But yeah, the dude with the 10-22 (great lens btw) should mess with PS some.
