do you use RAW+JPG? Anonymous
i only use RAW because the RAW+JPG takes up like.. 100 or so shots extra on my card

and becauses i can just export all of them in JPG with Photoshop or Lightroom in like, 5 minutes

I use raw+jpg so I can later see what the heck did I shot.

umm, Bridge or Lightroom?

and microsoft has a powertoy plugin to allow RAW preview in Windows, Preview on OS X reads RAW files

RAW + 2 megapixel jpg

small jpg is for quickly filtering out shitty/out-of-focus/etc. shots without lightroom hassle.

if it was such a real "breeze" then you would use it to check your RAW files instead of the JPGs

Lightroom still takes several minutes to batch-process a hundred photos, so why not make the camera do the job automatically? It's not like you can save much card space on these small jpegs when raws are 10+ MB each.

Fuck that bloated shit

Oh, and I can review these small jpegs while the raws are being copied to the HDD instead of just sitting and waiting.

bridge is like an explorer window, but inside a program

you have serious issues if your computer can't handle something simple like that

>>207626Oh, and I can review these small jpegs while the raws are being copied to the HDD instead of just sitting and waiting.

lolwut

what kind of shitty ass camera you have that can't mount as a drive, rofl

lightroom is for fagets

bridge + PS FTW

I use large fine jpeg + RAW, I use the jpegs for printint eh snaps, and then process the RAWs for the decent pictures. I use jpeg+raw so i don't fuck up and take just a jpeg when i mean to take a raw for later processing, or take a raw for a pissy little snapshot and have to end up processing it

I use raw + full size jpg. Because I have tons of HD space and because I only use RAW for heavy editing

>>207638
lol what kind of faggot actually hooks their camera up as a hard drive

this means you're not using a card reader because you're actually waiting

it also means you have a shitty ass camera that doesn't support USB protocols for the speed or to mount as a drive

My shitty camera is USB1.1, so I never use it to transfer photos. But copying a couple gigabytes takes some time even with a card reader. (inb4 "buy UDMA cards and 1394 reader")

raw only.

cant be bother with jpegs as well, so if any raws need to go they go and then batch process the raws as a work through the rest...

also, ya USB card readers still take ~5mins for a couple gigs of pics. bear in mind i have a shitty reader...
