Canon or Nikon ?
Hello /p/,

I'm looking into buying a DSLR camera in the near future (like a few weeks from now), and I am torn between Canon and Nikon. I love Canon, as it's what I'm used to, and I am tired of these crappy point-n-shoot cameras, as they don't suit my creativity much.

I've looked on both sites, and I still am having difficulty deciding. I have a few weeks to make a final decision, so I wanted to see which one is better.

Thanks !

Picture un-related.

what's the budget?

I have $1.5 grand to play with, that I'll be using for art-related supplies. However, I don't want to spend more than $900 on both the camera or lens. I'm using the rest of the $$ for a new scanner, possibly different lenses and filters, painting supples (paints, canvases, brushes, etc.)

Also, I'm leaning towards the new Digital Rebel XS (because it comes with the lens, and has some pretty nifty features :D).

the XSi is better for the price.

But a 40D would be a better use of $1500
here it is at $1145, and free shiping with a 28-135 IS zoom, a very good walk around lens.
