Mistake 1: Being at a stock-car race
Mistake 2: Being in a position where the fence gets in the way
>> Anonymous
Hoya released a filter some time ago which removes the fence effect, quite expensive though.

heh, why the hell do they bother painting lights and a grille on their front panel?

Oh I agree, I hate Nascar, BUT I wanted to test out the Camera.

Fence is in your way no matter what, so its just a matter of trying to throw it far enough out of the DOF that it doesn't show up..

I don't habeeb this is possible from a scientific point of view (unless the filter includes a few powerful circular saws, of course)

Ya, The trick is to just Narrow the DOF and get as close as you can to the fence to throw it as far out of the DOF as possible.
No filter will do that for you, Or you could just hold the camera through the fence :) But thats hard to do with a big ass 80-200 lens

Actually they were free, So I didn't pay anything, I get free tickets to all sorts of sporting events, I haven't paid for anything yet. I might one day, Soccer for example I never get free tickets too, but they are dirt cheap..

These race tickets were actually $40 apparently, I wouldn't have paid that myself, but since it was free, I didn't care!
