For just getting 1920X1200 resolution out of a camera, look for 4X that, so you can have perfect color resolution. [Due to 1/4 photosites being "blue", 1/4 being "red" and 1/2 being "green" you need 4X downsized if you really care about perfect 1920X1200 color resolution.]
So...roughly: 1920X1200 = 2.3MP X 4 = 9.2MP therefore simply grab something with around 10MP.
Real world advice: It doesn't matter. For noncropped monitor viewing, all modern digicams will be sufficient. But don't get the damn Kodak. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I hate the things. Just grab a Canon Powershot A-series - standard /p/ advice.
