So I took about two hundred photos today, close to eighty of just this birdbath. This one, I feel, is one of the better ones. What do you guys think? It was raining, and I thought I would take advantage of that.

Is the super high speed too gimmicky?

Looks like you took it at ISO 25600 or something, the noise is too present.
And l2/photoshop, what's up with the contrast?
>> Anonymous
it's framed really weird

and it's got nothing, no substance
>> Anonymous
Too dark. Not enough contrast.
>> Anonymous
the water drop is the least of your concerns. That photo is so noisy I can practically hear it.

Wow. That looks so much better. Thanks. I'll try for that next time. I didn't realize contrast made such a huge difference.

imho postprocessing is for loosers who don#t know how to use your camerea properly.

I hope you never hope to shoot professionally or have your work shown in serious galleries. While I will agree that many people depend on post too much, almost every image needs at least a little. It's a tool.
>> lrf !xi8/JKFwzo
it's about quality man, just because you took 80 photo's of one thing doesn't mean you got a good shot.
>> lrf !xi8/JKFwzo
Oh and terribly framed. Why did you cut the left side of the birdbath off?

saging due to double post.

I have decided to assume that this is an extremely clever and subtle joke equating postprocessing and proofreading rather than a troll.
>> BurtGummer
>>138888

Post processing is necessary for most photographs in one degree or another, the human eye cant pick out the problems through the lens most of the time.

Even my hero Jimmy Nachtwey PP's now and then...
Ever seen the documentary "war photographer"?

everyone should do HDR photos like you do, MASSIVE WIN
>> BurtGummer

Hahaha, i love the biters. Ive never claimed to be good at any of this shit! Im just here to learn, be constructive and creative.

I dont care if my HDRs dont fit your crappy policy! I take photographs for fun! Not profit! Or to impress goons!

Come on guys, we're getting off topic here.

So I bring you another from my photos for today. It's my dog. Any better? Does it have "substance"? Or is it just a picture of a dog?

I post them for criticism from enthusiasts, so I can get constructive feedback.

Not to enrage a 15 year old with a vendetta against those who WISH TO LEARN.

So shut up and post some photos bitch.

There's such... sadness.. in its eyes... This is the greatest photo I have ever seen!
>> Anonymous
>>139026

learn, lol

learn to do TRUE HDR first, instead of doing failures of HDR, and not only that, with one exposure MASSIVE FAILURE
>> BurtGummer
>>139024

I like it, cant see too much grain here, not too sure what the dogs expression means.. a little unclear. But on the whole, its ok I guess.

That's just how my dog looks...even when you play with her or feed her, she always looks so incredibly sad. I have no idea why.
>> BurtGummer
>>139028

hahaha, oh shit, everybody back up! TRUE HDR guy is here. Watch him Use his "FIST OF ANON" to crush even the slightest hint of amateur creativity..
