Because what /p/ really needs is some stealth advertising, here's a link to David Pogue's image samples from the iPhone's camera.

(And, to make up for that for those of you who either actively dislike the iPhone hype or just plain don't care one way or the other, I am attaching some girls in bikinis that I took the other day at the beach. Ya pervs.)

I'm sure most people here aren't too interested in the iPhone just for its camera feature. It's more of an all-in-one gadget, meaning it's probably not really great in all of its features, but just a better packaged than some other products (maybe). Every once in a while a thread pops up in /g/ about the iPhone. It's not like they don't talk about it, I just think they've gotten tired discussing it.

Hmm, it looks absolutely on-par with the upper 75% of camera phones out there now.

Every time someone mentions a camera phone, I still lol @ sony's "zeiss" lens in their camera phone. What nonsense.

Agreed. Certainly still a cameraphone, but as cameraphones go, it's a good'n. Miles ahead of what my Morotola V360 can do, probably around par with what my old Kodak digital camera put out.
