then you need to use a wider aperture
also manual focusing doesnt exactly take forever
>> Anonymous
>>290889
and when i say wider i mean narrower because i cant think right
>> Anonymous
>>290889
yeah I might need to try manual focus next time, though I don't think I'm experienced enough to nail it in a fraction of a second, I'll certainly give it a go.

pretty much, but the higher the f# the slower the shutter speed, don't wanna put the f up too much higher if that cunt's wings are flapping like a 5 year-olds cock in a windstorm.

but yeah, getting it in focus is your only real answer here

yeah that'll really help...

it doesn't look too bad with the flutterby out of focus

kinda of depends on what context you'd like to take it in under.

butterflies are tough. expect a low success rate. my advice is to make sure you are on continuous shooting and if you have 3d tracking, you may want to use it. also, you can try focusing on the leaf, if the butterfly isn't providing enough contrast for the AF

Use a Sony.

>its a butterfly, not a hummingbird, it doesn't stay still

Butterflies move much less than any hummingbird I've ever seen.
