Hey /p/. I am an ametur DSLR owner, and I want to set up a dedicated "digital darkroom" as it were. What programs should I use to do my editing?

Photoshop
Irfanview
Adobe Lightroom
Picasa (If you don't want to use Adobe Bridge)

Photoshop, BreezeBrowser, and also Lightroom if you work for someone other than yourself and have deadlines and all that.

Not OP, but question just the same. What purpose does Adobe Bridge serve other than photo organization? For that Windows Explorer works just fine for me.

Bridge has much more functionality than Explorer. You can batch rename, preview RAW files, exif data is displayed, and the organization tools are much, much better.

I know there's more, but that's what I get off the top of my head.

Pirate Lightroom 2. Then masturbate with happiness when you find out how easy it is to choose/flag, develop and export your pictures.
