Hey /p/ Anonymous
So yeah, I usually generally browse /p/ around 5 times a week. I'm heavily interested in photography, allthough I don't do much of it myself seeing as I have a piece of shit camera - and I'm too broke to buy a new one. (I got mine a few years back for free, can't remember how.)
I went to a rave on Saturday, and got a few pictures of one of the fire-dancers. I really don't know how I did it, but personally - I thought it looked pretty swell.
Just thought I'd stop by and share it with you all. Thoughts/etc would be nice.

Buy some new gear. It's hard to grow with a p&s digital camera. You can work on certain things like practicing composition and looking out for good opportunities, especially with people. Smaller cameras are better because they are less intrusive, but you can't quite get a good sense of shutter speed or aperture with an old p&s.

The unfortunate truth is that photography isn't a hobby for the poor.

It's funny how you gave such a nice reply and helpful advice, yet you saged the topic.

Beautiful picture, check out flickr for some awesome shots of fire dancers.

I actually just started learning this... it's a beautiful art, and it's amazing to capture on film.

A sage is not necessarily an implied insult. I continually find it odd that people seem to believe this is so. I simply did not feel that I needed to bump the topic to the top of the first page because when I did reply, it was on the first page where it is quite visible already.

It seems as that too many people associate a sage with a derogatory post.
