Don't get the XTi. It's a much worse camera than either of those. The Olympus is a professional-level camera, as is the D300, although it's not marketed as such. They're better in every way as tools to take pictures than the XTi. They have full-coverage viewfinders, twin command dials, etc.
The Olympus has a smaller sensor, and hence more noise; the D300 currently beats all other cameras that aren't "full-frame" as far as noise goes. The XTi falls somewhere inbetween.
Manual focusing is important in low light, and the Olympus and XTi won't be too good for this. The D300 will do well.
TL;DR get the D300.
