Have you ever found some really cool cameras at a thrift store? Yesterday I bought two cameras for less than 5 bucks. A Polaroid Spirit 600 ($3.99), and a Nikon One Touch camera($1.99, but since it was a yellow tag I got it for half off and the stifling price of $1.)

I was looking for a lomo or some sort of fish eye camera, but I was S.O.L.

Yeah, that's how I scored my Diana and my Yashica Samura X3.0 half-frame (which I was just out using). Thrift stores are awesome for interesting cameras.

I check on a weekly basis in my own town's thrift stores, and all I come up with is a decrepit mass of old 110s and fixed-everythinged point and shoots with plastic lenses

i actually once saw what i think was an old home video camera (used actual 8mm film reels) for $20. i was young at the time, and asked my mom to loan me the money until i mowed the lawn next, but someone bought it before i came back with the money... it sucked.

You can find super 8 cameras quite easily for very cheap. HOWEVER simply buying and developing super 8 tape is VERY expensive like at least 30 bucks for 3 minutes worth of tape. And thats even before transferring to other media.
