which lens should i use Anonymous
i will be documenting some ghetto ass video recording and they won't be using lights or maybe just small ones attached to the camcorders

i have a flash that i can use when they are not recording but what lens should i use for no flash shots so i don't interfere with them

i can rent just about anything from the store so i'm thinking the 24mm 1.4 (the one in the picture is the 35mm) to give me a nice nearly 35mm equivalent on uh.. 35mm on my xti

would probably have to use iso 1600, which kind of sucks, but i'm more worried about depth of field

>> Subject distance 2 m
>> Depth of field
>> Near limit 1.83 m
>> Far limit 2.2 m
>> Total 0.37 m

f/1.4, subject at 2 m, i only get 37 cm of depth which i guess is SORT OF okay

SHIT OUTTA LUCK MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAn

either deal with blurry pictures, or have a small dof.

use the flash as much as possible, and if they are using lights on their cameras the subjects should be illuminated pretty well?

oh man, that sucks :/

i tried using a f/2.8 zoom before and i could only get 1/30 or so wide open at iso 1600 and that doesn't even get me motion free shots, shit sucks :/

i figure with the 1.4, i can go wide open or maybe 1.8 and get good speeds at least
