Left: Panasonic DMC-FZ30
Right: Canon EOS 20D

Both shot on Aperture Priority mode (f/5.6) at ISO400. Although the Panasonic shoots great pictures in bright daylight at low ISO, it's pretty much too noisy for any kind of low light or professional photography.

I have a feeling this is a PICTURE OF YOUR DESK IN DISGUISE.

This is no surprise, one has a sesor as big as a dinner plate while the other is smaller than a crumb. Doesn't mean we can all run out and afford a 20D and get the same versatile lens of reasonable quality.

I think a more interesting comparison would be the FZ30 at ISO100 vs. the 20D at ISO400.

Unfortunately, I think the 20D would still win.

I'll take another picture with the DMC-FZ30 on ISO80 later on. Yeah, the EOS 20D will probably still win.
