Okay /p/ maybe you can help me with my problem. I have a Nikon FM2 and everythings just fine with the camera (bought it a yardsell from an old japanese man) but when I try to unload it, the camera or rather me cuts up the film. Well, it could just be me being a dumbass, I dont know.

Uh - cuts it up when? You know you're supposed to rewind the film before you open it, right?
>> Your Nikon Paul mohan roy
Still You use a film-based old model Nikon ? OK. Here is a simple solution. Do not tewind.Open the camera in total darkness and remove the film.

Yeah yeah, Im kinda new at this so bear with me. The wheel on the right in the picture has a grey nob to twist. When done with film, do I twist it?

Here, have a manual. You do realize you're supposed to click the rewind button (Must likely under the camera) before rewinding? It's a mistake I see made often, and it causes the film to rip.

The FM2 is a wonderful camera and it should pretty much outlast you.

After finishing a roll:
1. Push the little button on the bottom of the body.
2. Flip up the handle for the left (lens facing away) wheel, and crank gently in the direction of the arrow.
3. When you feel the tension slacken (rewinding done), the back can now be opened.

On my FE, I would have to hold the button in while rewinding because the catch that tied it to opening the door was busted. Is that it?

Would be nice to go back and take a good picture of the old Japanese man.

Would that be possible?

Please ^^
