Domke F-2. Has the advantage that it holds all my stuff. Has the disadvantage that that encourages me to bring my full kit with me wherever I go, which makes me look like (more of) a tool and makes my shoulder hurt.

Lowepro SlingShot 200AW for when I go out.
When I need all my gear I just dump it in an extra backpack.

I'm still looking for a nice bag/case to fit all my gear in.
>> Kilz2latex !!3htj9hFDMA4
lowepro flipside with the tripod thing

thats such bull shit its like 10 or 20 extra for a little strap and a pouch at the bottom.
>> Lynx !!KY+lVSl0s2m
I have the slightly smaller version of that bag, good bag, but I'd go with a backpack if I had to haul a laptop also, the naneu ends up being less of a messenger and more of a small duffel as mine is now with a camera, film, notebook and pens.

Lowerpro Stealth Reporter 500 AW
Lowerpro Toploader 75 AW
Two Lowerpro smallest lens cases, 50/1.7 and 35-70/4 fits there w/o problem.

When I need to take lots of stuff - 500 AW
For small walk I take toploader fits body+grip with 70-200/4 easy. Sometimes put on sides two LCs with 50 and 35-70 or digital kit.

Oh, and from Ken Rockwell.com
>>I do not use camera bags, except to keep things from banging into each other in my trunk.

>>If you're carrying a camera bag, you're carrying too much. I know of no pros who use camera bags; they use belt systems if anything.

>>277199Lowepro SlingShot 200AW for when I go out.

I use the same, comfy although I would've liked the shoulder strap to be wider and/or softer, thing gets heavy after a while.

When I'm out shooting I have lenses on seperate bodies around my shoulders, but oftentimes I'll put one or the other in the bag when I don't need it as much to keep it out of the way.

if I'm going on vacation/long day out I'll bring all my stuff in a lowepro nova 3 AW, but if I go out to town shooting for a few hours I'll just bring my body and a prime and rool it up in a scarf and stick it in a messenger bag

I might just get a messenger bag and pad it out with foam or something

5.11 Tactical Pants.

That's right, I said pants. Big cargo pockets that'll hold a pro midrange zoom, heavily reinforced EVERYTHING, a retention strap on the rear that works great for tripods/monopods (It's actually meant for a big maglite or a baton), pockets in the knees for kneepads, and will stand up to any kind of torture you can throw at them. On top of everything, they look reasonably respectable, and are super-comfortable, unlike regular camos or whatever, since they're designed for cops. Big beltloops hold a wide belt that's meant to carry a radio, gun, cuffs, and whatever else a cop would have, which means it's great for lens/strobe/lightmeter pouches. Anything that's less critical and not as fragile, like batteries and anything that comes in a nice solid case, gets thrown in a small Swiss Army backpack, along with water/other drinks, a light jacket/windbreaker if I think I'll need it, and whatever other crap I'm carrying.

Gonna upgrade to a ThinkTank belt system soon, though, since it's a bit more comfortable and more secure for big lenses.

When I'm travelling around, getting on planes, and whatever, I use a Tamrac TurboCyberPro something-or-other, holds all my usual camera gear (D2 and D50, 80-200, 24-85, 12-24, 50, two strobes w/ bounces etc, meter) and my laptop and related cables, little wacom tablet, etc, without trouble.

Crumpler 4 million dollar home

I want a bigger bag also
>> Anonymous
What I've really been looking for is a bag that'll work as both a suitcase/backpack and a camera bag. I'd love to be able to throw a body and a few lenses in, and then use the rest of the space for whatever clothes etc I'll need for a two- or three-day trip.

Lowepro and others do some very large cases that might suit you. You could also go for a great big aluminium or hard plastic case and use foam cut outs to hold the gear.

Large and hard cases aren't really practical to lug around, though. I can make do with less gear, just a body and two or three lenses, but trying to carry only one, reasonably manageable bag is the real issue. I travel all over the place, so a single bag that I can walk across Rome with, or toss on the luggage rack of a Shinkansen car, is what I need.

>>277419
Lol, they're in the wash. I'll have to do a shot with them later. In a way, they're the anti-tacticool, despite the name, since they allow having a minimum amount of gear, rather than a shitload.

I might do one with my airshit vest stuffed with gear, that'd be pretty funny.

I would suggest taking a look at some of Delsey's camera bags... www.delseycamerabags.com
I have had 3 Lowepro bags and one Tamrac over a couple of years... And just recently got my hands on one of Delsey's camera backpacks.
Now I still use my Lowepro gear and particularly like their SlipLock system. But Delsey's quality is far more superior to those other brands.

any have or used a DOMKE F-5XA?
it looks pretty small and compact, and not too much like a camera bag. All I need is one that can fit my D80 with 18-200 and maybe a prime or something.
