You're going overseas to some exotic locations to shoot pics of the landscapes, locales, etc...What camera would you suggest to endure the dirt, wear and tear involved in a prolonged journey of this sort? If you're not going to be shooting at high ISO very often the E-3 is a brick.
I recommend the H3DII-50 for optimal results.

Maybe pick up a couple cheap, beater film SLRs. Like old manual-everything ones. Fewer things that are breakable on 'em, and cameras were all built like tanks back then, so they're less likely to die on you.
