The camera that I have right now is a Powershot A520, and I want to do stuff with it like automatic cropping to 16:9, advanced features, etc. BUT, the thing is that CHDK is not compatible with it. because it is only DIGIC, not DIGIC II. Is there any firmware that I can load onto my camera that let me do things like this?

Automatic crop -> photoshop <3

probably not. just use a basic image editing program like irfanview or faststone viewer to crop it.

alternatively you could use a photoshop if you have one...

digi-c is only the image processor that turns the signal from the sensor into the actual image and applies saturation, contrast etc. does not/cannot apply cropping...

What I am saying is that the CHDK firmware is only for DIGICII cameras, not DIGIC.
