Hai /p GrampaMoses !8hAm1Xe29E
I'm a long time lurker of /b who recently started looking in other boards. The only thing I was good at in /b was racing my way to page 10, so I figured I'd post somewhere else.

I have a degree in photography and I make my living as a photo assistant, so I figured why not post here.

It seems that everyone here is beyond me with digital knowledge, I'm a bit of an old style film geek, even though I'm 24.

Here's a failed attempt of mine. the top has too much dead black sky (I was hoping for more star trails) and nothing in the image is very sharp.

Also, can someone teach me how to do that show/hide technical data thingy?

Don't save your images in Photoshop with the "save for web" feature. Resize them with the normal resizing tool and save a new resized file, and it should pop up automatically on here.

I do like your OP image, though I'm not quite sure what's going on.

Cool feature, but I don't use photoshop. I run GIMP on Ubuntu, although I do have CS2 set up on Wine, the color calibration between the windows emulation and my ubuntu desktop is messed up, and every picture I save ends up being really green, so I usually just use GIMP.

In the image, it's a night shot, 15-30 minuet exposure, and there's a street lamp just outside of the right side of the frame causing lens flair. I tried again later, but could not recreate the effect, sort of a happy accident I guess. The post here is my second attempt, the moon was out that night and changed pretty much everything.

And you refer to exif information as "technical data thingy?" ?

Hey OP, what market do you assist in? I assist in Dallas, used to freelance up in Chicago.

The H20 is a few years old, so it's not sold any more. For the sake of comparison, though, current top of the line available is the new Phase One P65+, which is 60MP, creates 180mb raw files, and costs about $43,000 USD

any good photographer has about 5 or 6, because it's easy to get careless when its only about $43 grand and accidentally scratch it or something.
