I know that /p/ hates recommendation threads but this is a bit different. I'm in a need of a tripod. It has to be cheap, light, durable and has to fit inside a backpack. Can you pls. help.
Local camera shop, just look for something cheap and unbranded, no doubt there'll be loads.
>>59138Already did that, I just wanted to see if /p/ has any more recommendations before I buy it.
Usually with tripods, you get what you pay for. But if you insist on something cheap, light, durable, and compact then a Slik tripod may be what you're looking for. BTW, what's your budget?
Around $50.00
i use a slik.couldn't care about the model but i know its a slik
Consider bumping your budget a bit higher and go for the Slik Sprint Mini at $60:Black:http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/287754-REG/Slik_611800_Sprint_Mini_Tripod_with.htmlhttp://www.adorama.com/SLSPMB.htmlSilver:http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/287753-REG/Slik_611801_Sprint_Mini_Tripod_with.html
Check ebay. for about 30 bucks I got a decent tripod that compacts to 14 inches and extends to 4 feet.
>>59227Sounds to me like you overpaid. I got a tripod for the same price that goes from 20" to a comfortable 60" with no shipping.
>>59179it looks tempting, but the lack of a quick latch puts me off.
sorry for a stupid question, but what is a quick latch? Google told me nothing.
>>59346He probably means a quick release plate.>>59345You could always add a quick release adapter such as this one:http://www.adorama.com/BG3299.htmlI use one of these on my flash bracket so I can quickly remove my camera from the bracket. Sure it adds some more expense, but it has many uses.
