Someone explain the differences between the options for custom function #4 on the Canon 400D.

>> 04: Shutter button / AE lock button

>> 0: AF/AE lock
>> 1: AE lock/AF
>> 2: AF/AF lock, no AE lock
>> 3: AE/AF, no AE lock

0 is the default, half press engages autofocus, AE lock button locks the exposure as long as you hold it. Simple.

1 switches it around, so I guess this works well if you want to keep the FOCUS locked but want to be able to half press the shutter for EXPOSURE.

2, both AF lock, no AE lock at all.
