*facepalm*

1. Post your pics in one thread, don't vomit them all over the board.
2. Watermarking your pictures when no one wants to steal them anyways makes you look like a faggot.
3. Unless you're Ken Rockwell, shooting in Auto is cruise control for crap. It's a testament to Nikon's engineers that the exposure is decent. Learn the craft.

I think you need to call an exterminator.

ignoring the fail, I must disagree that auto isn always fail. It's good when you need to capture something that only happens for a fleeting moment and you just don't have the chance to craft the perfect exposure. Some of my best photos were taken in auto.
What auto fails to do can often be fixed in photoshop. If the subject is awesome, the auto mode is mediocre, and the shopping is excellent, you'll get an amazing photo.
But in his case of course he has a lot to learn.

Auto mode is no replacement for a sharp eye and being present in the situation. Adjust exposure as the light around you changes. Maintain control over the one variable you have perfect control over: your camera. Auto is a guess, and not even a very educated one. If a photo doesn't turn out, I want it to be because I made a mistake or could've done better, and not because I let the camera fuck up its best guess of what I wanted.

Photographers have created incredible images without the aid of a CPU in their camera for decades. Throw down your crutches and walk, baby. You'll like how it feels.
