The top of the film winder assembly has two different arrows and it is confusing as to which way to wind it. You should be winding it clockwise. If you wind it counter-clockwise, then the film cartridge will jam.
Use these instructions to make a film changing bag if you don't have a light tight room. http://www.darkroomsource.net/changingbag.shtml
Put the camera in the the bag, pull the winder up until the back pops open. Pull the film all the way out, and rewind it correctly.
Then develop as normal.
