Could the pro's explain to a newb how to achive the fanastic colors and lighting in this photo? Additional software to use?

Looks like one flash from camera top left, angled down. Possibly a second light at top right, judging by the shadows on the back wall, but I'm not sure about that.

As for the colors... have her wear a pink skirt and use red paint on the back wall. What do you think is difficult to achieve about those colors?

I think he means the way they were processed, with the sort of vivid-but-desaturated look to them.

That comes (I think) from a mix of desaturating and heavy local contrast enhancement.

But really, why would you want to? It looks, really, really fake, as if it were CGI. Pskaught's stuff looks absolutely nothing like this; this is almost like a failed caricature of that sort of advertising-ish sort of style after a Pixar fan got ahold of it.

strobes, a top light and front at half intensity. everything very diffused.... and a shit ton of "airbrushing"

honestly, I think it looks kind of cool. I like things that look fake.
