is this a good use of high contrast black and white? i like it a lot. i only wish the angle was better.

That's pretty cool, aside from the angle that you mentioned. I like it.. was this a convert from color to B/W?

yeah, i've taken to shooting everything in pretty much the same settings. auto white balance, no color mode settings etc, 1600x1200. pretty basic stuff that i postprocess. i'm a better photoshopper than i am a photographer. all i did here was desaturate and increase contract by i think +12.
