im preeeeety sure you still have to chose a colour spcace in raw.

me personally, i shoot raw and just sRGB as i know that it works for me.
i also hear adobe rgb isnt supported well in some web browsers so the colours look off/washed out.

oh, and did i mention i mostly shoot b/w so coulour space is null and void ;P

I've never used adobeRGB but this site explains the differences:
http://kenrockwell.com/tech/adobe-rgb.htm

Upon further inspection, this is from Ken Rockwell's site, /p/'s mortal enemy. If you decide that you can't read it, then try googling "Adobe RGB".

ultimate ken rockwell quote:

>I know this stuff. Did you know I conceived the world's first dedicated digital colorspace converter chip...

>I know this stuff.
>did you know I conceived.
>I know!
>know I!

I don't need more green, so I stick with sRGB.

Yes, but it's meaningless on your camera if you're shooting in raw (except for your embedded jpg preview). Fundamentally, everything should be in ProPhoto since it's the "biggest" color space and then adjusted for whatever medium you're final product's going to be on.

I've yet to see an example of Adobe RGB being visibly superior in print (or somewhere else), but I've seen lots of photos with screwed colors due to people using Adobe RGB incorrectly. sRGB, on the other hand, seems to be free from problems even when used by retards.

sRGB is perfect for almost everyone. It's one of those situations where if you have to ask, you don't need it. If you did have any reason to need AdobeRGB, then you'd already know.

The only reason why I'd see you wanting to use Adobe RGB for web would be if you're trying to assert Mac superiority because at least most of their browsers support it. But then you'd be a douche.

In print, find out what your print shop is expecting and use that.
