What can you tell me about this camera. It is Called the Bell and Howell Director Series 414, or some such. From what I have seen, it seemingly runs perpetually, is this true? And if so how?

Rofl, perpetual motion. Lol.

Clockwork.
There's a large metal spring that you're winding that slowly winds down.

Impressive. I looked around the internet and couldn't quite figure out how it worked. All anyone ever wanted to talk about was the JFK ordeal.

If you want to try silent 8mm film, that's actually a pretty good camera to start with. Manual-wind cameras can take a hell of a beating, and you can do cool fast-forward and slow-motion effects by over-winding or under-winding the camera.

If you don't have a college with film courses nearby you can buy film online and find places to get it developed.

That's pretty cool. A friend of mine is really getting into photography. She got a hold of this camera and is baffelled as to how it works. Didn't want to show her 4chan, so I figured I'd ask around for her.
