I was talking with a friend earlier and trying to think of something to force myself to shoot more often. She suggested that I base it on color, mainly the Color of the Day thing (each day is assigned a different color, and you're traditionally supposed to wear/eat/etc. things of that color on that day) and I was kind of intrigued by that idea. It's certainly gimmicky, but I'm going to give it a try. I'm hopefully going to start tomorrow (well, today) with the color for Monday, yellow, and do it all the way until next Sunday. I'm gunning for 7 quality pictures a day, and if all goes well I'll end up with 49 total (hurrr, math)

The colors are:
Monday- yellow
Tuesday- pink
Wednesday- green
Thursday- orange
Friday- blue
Saturday- purple
Sunday- red

So anyway, any particular tips for doing this? Things to look out for on each day? Anyone else want to try this and post your results?

Pic related, though not the same color sequence.

I've never thought of basing photos around a color.

I'll definitely try it out.

coincidentally, I keep a color wheel with me a lot of the time. I guess being an artfag has its advantages huh?

First of all, you should be doing ROYGBIV. Why did you start with yellow?!

just goes to show that technical knowledge doesn't make a good photographer.

hurr, no shit. Go troll someone else. I'm trying to get better, that's why you don't see much stuff from me any more.

It's not supposed to be ROYGBIV. See; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_of_the_day

well good thing, because I'm not religious. The point is, the Color of the Day thing (which was suggested because I dressed by it for a few weeks last year) is based on that sequence, so I'm going to shoot in that sequence because those color selections actually mean something.
