hey /p/, I'm a bit of a novice to photography but I'm looking into getting my first good camera. I'm mainly going to be using it to just take photos around wherever I'm going to be, nothing really serious. My price range would be around $200-3. I don't really like the look of small slim cameras, and would like to have something resembling an actual nice camera.

spend an extra $100 or so and get a Pentax K100D... they have a mail-in rebate, too and the 18-55mm kit lens doesn't suck... try Cameta Camera on Amazon or eBay

I bought a K10D through them and, except for the battery grip being on back order, got a great deal.

Me too, that's why I bought this really retro looking FM10 from Nikon. I don't really know how to use it very well, but it looks awesome!

Sorry but you are a retard. Why buy something if you're never going to use it to its full potential? I mean if you buy it because its pretty why don't you buy a dispoaable camera and paint it instead? Its a lot cheaper.
