Can someone tell me what the hell happened here? The thumbnail doesn't have this green cast on it so why is it on the main image? Any ideas on how to fix it would be appreciated.

While I don't know why the camera did that....If you open it in Photoshop, the red channel is missing for the green section.

No I had to use channel mixer to attempt to balence out the channels too. I also had to move the OK bit since it was mis-aligned.

Looks like the battery was dying when it was writing the data.

If you look closely you can see the green section is offset as well, I'd say it's a bad write, either just corrupted at random, or bad flash if it came off your camera that way.

If it does this on most of your shots, reformat your memory card.

If it still does this, you might have a bad CCD.

it's very clearly a storage/jpeg fuckup, has fuck all to do with the CCD. I can tell from the slight offset in the image and the error in the chrominance but not the luminance channels, and from seeing many broken jpegs in my time.

Tried a little colorfixing. Not done yet but gotta go. post reference material like another pic from the dog so I can get the color right.
