/p/, I need your help. I have a shitty Digitrex DSC-3000 camera. I'm taking pictures of a detailed miniature from Warhammer. (tabletop wargame) In hopes of selling it.

What conditions//settings should I use in general for taking pictures of miniatures to show off their detail?

Thanks again, all this blurry garbage even on the highest resolution setting is quite frusterating.

dont use digital zoom and hope for the best or get a better camera.

Find out what you camera's minimum focus distance is and add an inch. I see too many pics on ebay( OF CAMERAS NO LESS!!) where people try to take pics 4 inches away. If you need to, crop it up, don't take an out of focus pic. If you have one, use a mini tripod and a timer mode.

You may also try it.

Other thing you might want to consider, is putting a table lamp very near your subjects, and put some white paper or some sort between, to soften the light.
