Sorry /p/, I'm sure this thread has been made many times, but....
I'd like to get into photography, I used to be very into video so I know about manual settings and such... What would be a good DSLR cam (preferably a kit) to start out with? Nikon D series?

Yeah, any Nikon D series, Canon EOS, even Olympus E, Pentax K, and Sony a (pronounced alpha).
