Ilford HP5+ with HC-110

I wish I could answer to this post, I haven't tried much film since my film camera was killed by a suicidal jump.

>sensia 100
Do you crossprocess that?
>> Anonymous
>>188442
no, why would I do that? If I want wacky colors, I just use photoshop.
>> Anonymous
Provia 100F 120.

>>188442
Why would someone want to crossprocess sensia100? It gives you just awful red hue to the whole image.

>>188445
Ok good, just wondering hehe because of what this guy said
>>188449
Did it once, never doing it again. Fucking awful.

It's a shame that it's so hard to find a lab that does E-6 in my city, it's like trying to find a fucking unicorn.
>> Anonymous
>>188456
Most if not all labs will just send your film to a place that does it. There are only few places left that does E6 so all the labs just forward the film to them.
>> Anonymous
>>188481
Well over here we dont even get -that- service. I've been told of a place called Fotochrome that does it, as the name suggests, but chances are they stopped doing that process already.

Anyone want to recommend me a BnW film around 100??
>> Anonymous
Provia 100F.
There is one lab left in Atlanta that does E-6 in house.

This film is awesome.

Pos: Fuju Provia 400X or Kodak Ektachrome E100VS
B&W: Ilford HP5

Don't we already have one of these going?

In any case:
Kodak Tri-X, Ilford Pan F, Fuji Neopan (100, 400, 1600), and on the rare occasion I'm shooting large format Bergger BPF 200.

Developers:
Kodak HC-110, Formulary WD2D+, Formulary Pyrocat HD. I used to be really into PMK Pyro, but gave it up when I lost my darkroom and couldn't enlarge any more.

i found Neopan to be dull, outright uninteresting.

oh man...Formulary makes some awesome chemistry. So glad to see somebody else using it.

Seriously, I like what they do. When I had a darkroom I used nothing but their Ansco 130 for developing my prints, and later for developing 8x10 negs by inspection. Either for prints or for film, amazing results. They're one of the very few companies that I'm all about, period.

Ignore the guy. He's just recommending it because it's all he's used to. T-max pretty much fails.

Svema 64, obviously long expired. It adds an element of suspense to shooting.

HC-110 is the best soup for everything.
>> okto

Tri-X, if you can stand the grain.
Tmax is just such a bitchy starlet. If you can control the light or meter perfectly, the results are great, but the highlights block up on the neg like crazy if you overexpose it.
>> Anonymous
>>190870

Hone your skill, don't blame the Tmax
>> Anonymous
>>190871
The skill's fine. Like I said, in perfect light it kicks ass. Most light, however, is far less than perfect.
>> Anonymous
>>190875

In that case then the main problem is people not using it properly. You wouldn't use a F1 car to go shopping in or bring a ton of fence posts from the hardware store.
>> Anonymous
>>190877

No slur against you, BTW. Just a comment on how people complain about the tool rather than how they use it.
>> Warren !!JL+uuUHRNlZ
>>190870
Meter correctly, dial in your development and it's no big deal. It's best in TMax developer, but other things can be used with it successfully. The TMax films are wonderful, but just a little less tolerant of exposure and development errors than other films. If you don't like that about them, don't use them. There are plenty of B&W film options to choose from.
