Hey, who says you can't process slide film on a negative print film machine? Oh, wait...

Are there any marvelous digital-age ways to correct this? You know, the blues and reds and whatnot? I would love someone to help me out or take a stab at it themselves. Thanks /p/

Why correct this?

It looks 1,000% better now than it would if you "fixed" it.

I'm going to hate myself for this question, but are you serious, and if so, why do you think that?

You use negative print film, that's how.
Either use crossprocess slide film for the freaky colors, as you did, or use color negative. Or process slide film in slide chemistry to have them behave the way they were designed to work.

Freaky colored version of extremely boring picture > extremely boring picture.

Well, I didn't process it, it was the clerk's fault. But, in all, it's really my fault for not having my own darkroom amirite?

With just a very little Post Processing work you can make this much more interesting,

If only we could ban people for being dicks. But if we did that we'd have to ban all of 4chan. jesus that sucks.

The color range of this image is too limited to let an easy algorithm work. I can make the water look more blueish by rotating the colors about 60°, but since there is no red in the original to begin with, every other color goes bad.

There is a super limited color range for this image, and the white balance is way off. If you have a bunch of these images, try to find one where you can get a good WB curve in pshop, and use that same curve for all the images as a starting point, since they should all be similarly screwed up by the bad processing.

It's also kind of hard to tell what the picture should actual look like, since pond water can be anything from algae green to mud brown to blue.

That said, playing around with curves for a minute gives me this. I'm sure with a higher res, non-jpeg pic, you could do better.
