So I found a roll of old, cheap, expired film at my friend's place and took pictures with it.

Nikon F5, 50mm f/1.4, Kodak FUN TIME 200 film expired Oct. 07.

Now, despite the fact that this film is cheap and expired, it seems that all the film I've shot with ends up looking like, but they've all been cheap film, really. I query; could this have something to do with the camera, or just purely the fact that I'm using cheap film?

I intend to send my F5 off to get cleaned and checked up by Nikon but wonder if that will be worth my time. It's older and really used, got it from ebay for a few bucks.

is there anything I could've done to make this pic more interesting? Get the camera down lower, maybe?

Yeah, how about take a picture of something more interesting. It's a fucking road, dude.

well obviously, but as far as roads go.

Follow the rule of thirds... make the horizon be 1/3rd down instead of 1/2. Maybe get lower.

I dunno.. it's a road and it's going to be a boring pic that nobody will care about. 70% of the photograph is the subject.

yeah, not that it really matters as a photo but this happens to be the corner where my cousin was killed by a drunk driver, so it was more or less a memoire for when I move away
