Filming hiss/static in audio... Anonymous
When I record, every few seconds the right OR left channel will contain a quick hiss/static noise. It doesn't do it to both channels, only 1 channel.

I'm using a $200 JVC camcorder I recently bought new. I can fix the problem by going through Premiere Pro CS3 and adding keymarkers to either fill the left or right channel during the hiss/static, but this takes WAY too long.

Anyone have a solution to why the hiss/static exists, or a quick and easy way to resolve this problem?

Wrong board, but pskaught might know.

Probably a bad solder job in the connection to the left channel mic element, or some other manufacturing issue. Companies cut a lot of costs in a $200 digital video camera.

If you can't change the lens it isn't a proper video camera.

1st Assistant Camera, thursday I'll be firsting with the D20 for the first time, I do 2nd AC as well. I try not to load, that job sucks. Mostly Digital these days, but I'm well versed in all the film bodies, with the exception of a few very high end panavision cameras
