I've seen a few situations where cameras have had unexplainable errors, most of the time the errors are traced back to a third party battery. Apparently a lot of the really cheap chinese made batteries the voltage isn't that accurate, and can make your camera do weird things (Probably not fry it, but it may give you errors once in a while, or all the time)
Its probably a rare occurence, but obviously more common than using the official name brand batteries. How cheap you are, and how often this may occur will determine if these no name brand ones are worth buying. However like people are saying a difference of $20 isn't much when your camera setup is often in excess of $1000
