Sup /p/. Lately I've been trying to get into street photography. Right now all I do is shoot what seems to look good for me, all that technical or concepts blow past me. Any tips for a beginner?

This one's my fav, wish the guy's other foot was fully in the photo, though.

I always say don't worry about the technicalities, but i'd still recommend that you play with the settings, see what you can get. What's properly exposed isnt' always the best shot

I wish. I live in Sac, and I've always been wanting to move to SF.

Thanks. I suppose the most technical I ever get is just getting the right exposure. I'll keep messing around.

I don't know crap about technicalities, either. I prefer all my photos slightly underexposed, so that's why I play around so much

It's kind of hard to get a random street shot that isn't completely overdone or generic looking. It's important to get shots that are unique and depict something that draws people's interests. If we've seen a city, we've seen your streetshot. Look for things that stick out.

your overexposure is far from unique ;)

framing isn't perfect but that's just how it goes. waist shots are pretty much a big no-no in street, but well, it's digital and you can't go sit down for such a photo anyway
