oh wow

go in the sony slr forum on DPR

every sonyfag is getting butthurt over the poor results

>> I read the conclusions, to learn that A350 photos are 'snaps' (which I interprete as snapshot). Other readers have pointed out other bad use of language, trying to make the camera look bad. No need for me to read on.

>> I expect from a professional review site a balanced use of language and an objective way to present facts (e.g. why exclude 4/3rds from the viewfinder comparison just to be able to say that the A350 is the worst?).

>> Crawling up Canon's ass, DPreview has now lost the little credibility in my view.

>> Yep. This review is CR***P. The camera just got a 90% rating and very high recommendation for they UK magazine "What Digital Camera". They said it was a best of it's class.
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
Even _I_ think the A300/350 is a waste of time!

dpreview - the greatest troll of the photography world? The button does sound like a spectacularly bad design decision though.

put a second scroller there? infinitely more useful

this does nothing but crop out a section in live view JPG

Yeah. It's the kind of thing that could have been done on the PC or something in seconds if someone wanted to do it. There's so many other functions they could have put there. A customisable function button would have been widely praised too.

I like the Direct Print button on Canons. Makes a great CHDK button so I can just do some sort of button combo to enable/disable RAW or access manual controls rather that fumble with a menu.

i lold

>>200867
Yeah that definitely would be nice if it was remappable.
>> Anonymous
But unlike Canon, Sony will release a firmware update to be able to remap the button.

next please.

>>200907

yeah, Sony has a great track record for giving awesome support for the products

next please lol

proof plox.

So in short this lets soccer moms (that are using live view and jpg anyway) crop the photo in camera and get a 'teleconverter?'

I see no problem. If you're buying a 300/350 you probably aren't a serious photographer anyway, and if you are, should have no problem over looking one button that doesn't do anything (coughdirectprintcough.)

direct print on the 450d has dual functions now

the more you knew
>> OiD
Wow! There was a button under my thumb all the time!

MY EYES! THE BUTTON! IT DOES NOTHING!
>> Anonymous
>>200919
its the double whammy of it being useless along with it being one of the most easily accessible buttons
>> Anonymous
>>200925
According to DP Review, the direct print button on the 450D also controls white balance, which is only slightly less useless.
>> Anonymous
>>200934

as opposed to doing absolutely nothing unless you use live view and jpg

awesome, gotcha
>> Anonymous
>>200931
Yeah, exactly. It's not that there's anything wrong with it existing, other than that it caters to certain bad impulses (not post-processing generally, shooting JPEG, etc.), but that a button there could do so many more useful things.

>>200936
Slightly less useless than the direct print button used to be.
