it's fucked
>>201250OP, forgot to add that both are unedited straight from RAW
anyone have ANY ideas? I'm fucking stumped and frustrated.
The right is underexposed. Show me the full images.
did you change the noise reduction?
try with same exposure aperture
LOL RETARD
Gain?
Perhaps a side effect of electronic shuttering at a high speed in comparison to a slow speed which can be easily accomplished through the focal plane shutter?
>>201267TL;DR DP was right and I'm an idiot. The originals were underexposed so I bumped the exposure almost 1.5 stops in the Camera RAW 4.0 window when you first open the image in photoshop. What I didn't realize was that adjustments made in Camera RAW 4.0 alter the actual CR2 file even if you don't save over the original file in photoshop. So the problem with the noise was brought on by bumping up the exposure and when I was reopening the original CR2's I thought it would be as shot, I didn't know the exposure adjustment would stick even though I didn't save over the original CR2.
>>201488I meant DC, not DP
>>201488>adjustments made in Camera RAW 4.0 alter the actual CR2 fileCamera Raw doesn't modify the .CR2 file, it puts a little .XMP file with your settings in the same folder (unless you changed the default setting and the .XMP files are stored elsewhere)
>>201513OP here, I figured this out a little later and decided to let this thread die than correct myself again.I'm pretty new to dSLR's so I'm getting used to the workflow, I think I've got it pretty well figured out now though.
