I like the subject, how the triangle spike thing on the fence sort of parallels the spikes on the plant, but like ac said, focus could have been better. If you want a shallow dof then i would have focused on the fence rather than the branch

Looks good. Appropriate for the scene, and I actually suspected it was B&W film before I checked the EXIF and found a D40.
