For one get rid of the kit lens, use the money you get from selling that to get a nice filter for a better lens.
Also get the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens, for less than 80 bucks its a steal.

Custom presets are for people who didn't learn about the principles of photography. Get a book or take a class.

When you've learned about the relationship between ISO, aperture, and shutter speed, you're set for everything. That knowledge will tell you if you need new lenses.
