how do you superimpose two one picture on another with just film, no digital alterations?

yeah, just sandwich two negatives and make a print of it. its easiest if you use a negative carrier for a larger format.
or just expose one shot, switch frames, re expose.

Step 1: place two negatives in the negative carrier
Step 2: there is no step two

you can do it without a darkroom as well

1. take picture
2. set camera to film rewind
3. wind film back one frame
4. take picture
5. repeat as needed.

when you shoot, make sure you light it properly. The darkest part of the picture is where you want to superimpose your second shot.
