Slightly boring rain shot (anyone know how to make the background rain stand out a little?)

18-135mm and a 28mm f1.8 prime... i was looking at a 10-20mm but for 300 quid, i cant see the point.

the 10-20 is an amazing lens, af is abit slow - but with mainly landscape shots, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Whats the 28mm prime like? Worth the money?

yeah, i'd say so, it makes awesome round bokeh and performs like a gem in low light. I wanted a lens i could do full body portrits in dim light with, this is perfect for that.

AF is a little slow and sometimes hunts for focus, but i think thats a sigma staple. The weird MF/AF control (wanking movement mechanism) is something you have to adjust to, But i use it regularly. Its a great lens.

Im just not certain if i can justify fliffing 300 quid on a lens thats only 8mm wider than my 18-135.

The difference between 10mm and 18mm is huge. Really huge.

Also the AF on my 11-18 is kina slow, I think its going to be on all ultrawides.

Likewise. Right now i'm able to borrow it from college whenever I need it; but I just wouldn't use it enough to fork out the money for it.

The cool thing about the 10mm focal length (although a gimmick), and with any wideangle aswell, is that when you look through the view finder and pan around, the edges distort and warp. This kept me entertained for a good few hours.

My favourite is holding a camera in portrait and pointing forwards at 11mm being able to look through the viewfinder and see my own feet.

*Only* 8mm? That's a crazy huge field of view difference at the wide end of things.

AF on my sigma 10-20 is pretty quick

Especially considering it's equivelant to a 12mm difference on 35...
