Good idea, horrible execution.

This photograph looks very "snapshot" like. The reason it's boring is because it's not capturing something in an artistic way. The thing is that anyone can step outside and take a picture of a snow storm, it's real talent when you can take a picture of a snow storm and add a creative/innovative twist to it.

I'd practice a little bit more, try to block out things that will be distracting and maybe attempt to use those trees as borders as opposed to walls blocking out the house.
