Which one would you recommend to me?

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT

VS

Nikon D70
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
neither, both are good enough cameras if you dont know what camera you already want, either will do what you need and think you need fine.

definetly the d70
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
D70 sucks at high ISO. Have you considered something like a used Canon 20D?

OP here no i havent tried but im going to check it

D80

For shooting in the studio, the D70 is a great camera. Never had results that are anything short of perfect. Doesn't have a 3mm PC socket, so if you find yourself using a flash system you'll be needing a hot shoe gizmo. Nothing too expensive.

Get a Holga with a digital back.

Don't Holgas require modification to fit a digital back? Besides, even with a cheap and nasty digital back, you're still talking about paying almost double the price of a 350D or D70.

And that's without even mentioning the light leaks, lens quality, etc...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting medium format. But it's worth saving up (for a loooong time) and buying something... worthwhile?

wait for the new dslr's to get to the market before buying anything, save yourself a few bucks.

New DSLRs won't affect the prices of these cameras too much as they've already taken a beating since they're there's been about 2 or 3 cameras released after these ones already.

As much as the D70 sucks at HIGH ISO, it's a moot point unless you're shooting in the total dark with shit lighting all the time.

I really don't get the fascination with HIGH ISO performance with people actually buying cameras based that on factor ALONE.

But i feel this is another troll thread as you've not mentioned budget, lenses already accumulated or what you want to shoot.

So, sage mofo.
