composition critique. I feel my biggest problem with composition is balance. If I can correct this problem, then I'm at least one step closer to correcting my composition problems.

I think the intent was to capture the immense landscape that overwhelmed the people there. I can't really remember what exactly it was, but I can tell you that I considered this a "landscape" picture.

Okay then, that makes a lot of sense. I'd bring the frame back to the left a bit, the space on the right hand side abruptly interupts the picture. 41653's advice on a filter is very good and highly recommended, too, and perhaps you might want to turn you exposure down a bit and darken the incoming light.. can also be said to be a little overexposed.

If your intention was to capture the overwhelming landscape, though, you did that properly and well.
