student here so better "job" is on the wayi'm just looking for something below 18 to have a true wide angle (as you know it my 18 translates to 28ish on my dslr)
>>15791428ish is definitely a wide angle. You're not going to get a significantly wider angle than that with anything cheaper than the EF-S 10-22, which is something like $600.
>>157919I don't mean to hijack this thread, but concerning wide angles...I got to fondle a Sigma 12-24 yesterday at a photo store. Oh god, deliciously dampened rings, smooth focusing, velvety lens hood. Mmmmmmmm!
18-200 is the only lens you'll ever need./thread
oh hi Ken Rockwell
>>157914i'm just looking for something below 18 to have a true wide angleTrue wide angle, lol. You mean ultra wide.Canon 10-22, Sigma 10-20 or Tokina 12-24. The rest is pretty much garbage unless you intend to get 35mm/5D/1Ds any time soon.Sigma 10-20 is the cheapest and pretty good.
thanks anon i knew you would deliver,i'll look into those
