I've finally managed to get a decent night shot.
Could any of you guys try to fix it a bit in photoshop? I'm not sure what to do with it so use your imagination/what you would have done with it if it was your photo.

There, resized. Another thing - boring - yep, but I was out for a non-blurry night shot so blame me as much as you want by I consider my goal achieved.

As decent as it gets considering my camera + photo skill.
Not saying its awesome in general, just happy with the outcome.

This picture isn't that good. Try the picture again if you can. Turn the exposure time up to 5 seconds, and up your aperature to about f/11. Let the light develop your picture. Only do this if you have something sturdy to set it on.

Play with your camera to get exactly what you want though.

congrats, billy. you've joined pretty much every other person in figuring out a tripod or even a fucking ledge can achieve this for you.

unfortunately, there's a lot more that goes into photography than a lack of motion blur.

Yeah, I figured. No real subject, boring, black, dead space etc. What I wanted to hear from you guys, in the first place is what you would have done with a night shot like this in photoshop. Not considering how the photo has no subject or is bad etc etc. Thats all.

Also, thank you for the advice, I might try it.

OK, now that the faggots have eaten this poor guy alive I'll offer a tidbit that has helped me in the past on this type of shot.

Try desaturating the yellows. A shot like this cannot be properly white balanced for all the light sources, but you can de-yellow those sections in the foreground by desaturating the yellows and maybe the oranges. If it fucks up the other lights then abandon ship.

Try some HDR.

Why would you want to do that? Color variance add's to the picture.
