Pentax k200d for its price seems good. the slow fps and small buffer is abit of an offput for action photography.it also lacks some buttons. what are your thoughts /p/?

well in that case it comes down to either a D40 or K200D.
isn't the D40 being phased out by the D60 now anyway? lacks focusing motor too

All entry level cameras have low fps and small buffers. Get an used K10D if you want Pentax.

Oh lol, that show is so fucking weird.

if you do decide to get a nikon, just bump the extra money for a Nikon D40x
higher MP, really intuitive and has extremely fast response for an entry lever,
for an entry level D-SLR it has a really nice buffer (2.5 FPS, I think)

and they cost about the same as the k200d and have a nicer selection of lenses

D40 > D40x. More megapixels is pretty much useless, and the price difference is large.

if you like to edit and play with pictures the same way I do the extra megapixels really come in handy
