Hey guys, I need a camera for a photography class in the fall.

It will eventually be my minor, so i would like the camera to be half decent.
I am currently looking at the Canon Rebel series of camera, which tends to be quite popular at my school... SCAD.

I was wondering at this current time what is the best available camera in that line?

A link to the canon site would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't think you go to SCAD, enjoy your Canon Rebel.

Oh snap!

Well, since most of the people in your school have Canons, might as well get a Canon too so it will be easier for you to try out other Canon lenses by borrowing.

The Canon 450D (XSI) is currently the best out of the Rebel line.

In my camera classes you had to have a camera that had no autofocus. Everything for the class had to be manual.

I had an Olympus OM-10 and a Pentax K-1000. Both were great and a lot of fun. Bought a Minolta Maxxum 5 after that class was over, never really used it much. Good thing I bought it used.

Going to buy my first DSLR soon. Not that the last few sentences were actually relevant.
