1: Set up tripod
2: Set for long exposure
3: ???
4: Profit!

It's alright, but I think it could have benefited from better framing by placing the streetlight a little further to the left of the photograph. Also, I think the exposure was a little too long, if you had it a little shorter or tightened your aperture I think you would have been more successful in capturing the detail, especially on the trees on the right.
Use a lower ISO for long exposures, in the future.
Also, are those cyan/magenta lights actual cyan and magenta lights, or chromatic abberation? If the latter, use Camera RAW or something of the like to clear it up.

inb4 rule of thirds.

inb4 star filter on lights?

seriously... look at the headlight paths... he's got 5 inch long spikes due to star filter on long exposure

i kinda like though... it's just a little too much.

cool shot, but next time
1. lower fstop and shorter shutter speed
2. iso 100
3. point the camera more towards the street.
4. I was actually driving down that street when i got off at the wrong exit for knotts..
