Why are there so many Photoshop threads on /p/ lately? This board isn't supposed to be about photoshop at all. Sure, there are some nice features to optimize pictures to simulate post processing in the program. But when you edit an image in photography, you really don't go and change what's there as in adjusting someone's bone structure. That's just not in the spirit of photography.
In this situation, the cosplayer exists. Whatever her features may be, this cannot be changed, but there are tricks were you can use to obtain a certain effect. You can make certain undesired features less noticeable with lighting and such, but they aren't changed at all (as they are in the OP's image).
I am sure that there are some people that optimize their potraits using Photoshop to perfection. But a bigger question is how this state of perfection is obtained. If you are interested in removing "errors" in the subject, get a new subject. Find a subject that fits your definition of "perfection." That's all there is to it.
GB2/cgl/ unless you're interested in the photography aspect.
