Boring composition of a not particularly interesting object. Sky's blown out to an ugly white. Reshoot from a different angle (getting way closer usually helps. "If your pictures aren't interesting enough, you're not close enough", as the saying goes) and try to avoid getting the sky in your shots when it looks like that.

I think that's as good as that shot's gonna get.

Quite like the perspective of this. Although whatever your resizing is, is ruining the quality.

i think i just didnt properly focus the train pics i took...they look bad before i even shrink them down. i think the focal point for the second picture is the patch of grass between me and the train.

on my sony P93, i could preview the last pic and zoom in 10x with the LCD and see if i correctly focused the picture. with my Canon 40D here i can do the same thing...but the LCD quality sucks, all the pics look fuzzy and I cant really tell if they are good until I look at them on the computer. the viewfinder on the 40D is horrible for manually focusing the picture too, its extremely hard for me to get the 'perfect' focus. i played around with the focus lock too...it does help to focus on stuff that isnt in the center. whatever happened to the horizontal line they put in viewfinders to help focus? i wear glasses and tried taking pictures with/without them too...does this throw off my perspective? i need all the help i can get when focusing, any suggestions?
