So here are some results from the headshot shoot. I really didn't know how to go about shooting headshots so I just tried to take good portraits.

Wat do u think?

I thought the flash would kill the harsh lighting but it didn't work out perfectly.

nicely focused, good overall layout, but odd shadow/lighting. her nse looks like painted, or maybe glued on ...

yup, just destroys the real colors more or less.

It isn't so harsh in the first one, although for some reason the reflections in her eyes bug me.
Did you move her around much? It's like, her nose is sticking right out into the sun on all of these. Some angles more from the side would probably help too.

colors and light look better here. only the crop is too narrow IMO. but that's a matter of taste i think.

those fake eyelashes are obnoxious

Didn't think I'd ever say this, but it's oversharpened, imo. PM me on Flickr, I'll send you a nice sharpening action I found works well.

JESUS FUCK what is wrong with her eyes?

Oh, they're ENORMOUS PLASTIC EYELASH PROSTHESES.

Those might fool a paparrazo, but when you're shooting this kind of portrait make her take them off. They look like crap.

Wats ur flickr?

Also, I don't think she has fake eyebrows. They're probably just naturally voluptuous lol.

I feel bad because the harsh lighting...I should have known. However>>225325and>>225340should be good enough for her acting resume right? The second one is only over sharpened because I sharpen it after I resize it with irfanview because irfanview makes it more blurry after a resize.
>> beethy !vW/UaE6zYU
they're not too bad.. but the thing that bugs me is how the nose is in direct sunlight.
try to avoid this when you're dealing with harsh light and female models.
also.. i'd like to see something other than typical head shots

Im not really sure that they're fake either, she just looks like she has a lot of mascara on. mine are about as long if I curl them and cover them in mascara like that too.

Yup =/

I'm doing a shoot with some dude on Saturday...hopefully he doesn't flake like that last model I was supposed to shoot with. I'm having a hard time trying to think of a really interesting and creative place to do a shoot though.

Communicate a lot. keep in touch with them- if they don't reply or communicate, theyre going to flake
