I don't like lightboxes much. Tracing paper over a box with a 150w equiv daylight energy saving bulb behind it on left. Reflector on right and 60w euiv daylight energy saving bulb from above and slightly behind. White backgrounds can also be very blown looking.

my lightbox consists of a cardboard box with the sides cut out and tissue giftwrapping paper taped over it. with a piece of posterboard for the background.

also, i prefer white backgrounds so i dont get weird colored light bouncing onto the subject. not for these at least. theres its uses of course, but then i can always switch in a different color poster board for that.

i use some desklamps for my lighting too. and the overhead light in my room. kekeke
