From what I've read, they're both decent beginner bodies, although you'd be better with an xti over the xt. But yeah, one is film the other's digital, huge differences in workflow. Digital generally requires more time and effort because post processing is a necessity, while film, depending on what you shoot, doesn't require the same pp, but you're basically paying per shot, and it's harder to get quality scans, but certain types of film have looks that you either can't get with digital, or require extensive practice to achieve. It's just a matter of which you prefer, in other words.
