Selective colouring is done usually by shooting in colour, selecting the area you want to keep then desaturating the rest.

Alternatively, use any photoshop type app with layering capability, set opacity to 50% and paint over the top of your B+W. Time consuming tho.

although it has taught me sometihng, bunk beds are useful... just take out the bottom one and use the space as storage
