>>32843 It isn't that they're shitty artists, it's that what person X sees as "art" is different from what person Y sees. To many, Jackson Pollock's work looks like a 5-year-old could've flung. Is Mark Rothko lazy or is it something beyond us? True, those were painters, but not everyone who goes to art school is a painter.
Some prints sell because of the subject (ex: Eiffel Tower, though there are very many to choose from), while others sell for the artistry (ex: "Migrant Mother").
