So I got a new camera. Took some nice macro images, amoung other photos.

It's a Casio Exilim. I love every aspect of this camera, unfortunately the shutter speed is unbelievably slow. Does anybody know how to remedy this?

I'm assuming that's a P&S? Try changing the setting to whatever passes for manual or a priority. the auto modes tend to suck.

Though 1/40 isn't ESPECIALLY slow.

lol, macro

You mean closeups. Those aren't even close to being macro.

Any way, boost the ISO and open up the aperture at the detriment of noise.

If you think 1/40 or 1/125 is slow then your problem is shutter lag, not shutter speed.

Buy a real camera.
