overexposed hat is overexposed.
>> Anonymous
Yeah, I know. But it atracts too much attention? I mean, I overexposed it intentionally cause it has a logo on it.
>> Anonymous
LOL, you suck.
You overexpose the entire hat just to remove the logo? You could have done that in Photoshop in a few minutes and not fuck up the subject because something else grabs your attention.
>> Anonymous
>>232222

Did you fuck...

You overexposed the hat coz you had it on fucking auto...

But sure... we bileave you, you overexposed on purpose, Sony A100.. your fucking pro!!
>> noclue !!2yUmAID3520
it's awesome how every sony-related thread has a huge shitstorm potetial. really ...>>232344GTFO
framing is fine and you caught the expression very well. but the point considering overwxosure stands and you really really shouldn't have done it!
>> Anonymous
>>232365

Fuck you tripfag

Everything i said was true,

he claimed to have thought this thought and deliberately over exposed the hat... wich is bullshit coz he shot on auto

And the chances are, he did NOT think the framing though at all.

If he did, there would be less dead space behind the chair, and more space for the guy to look into, and he would have got the subject to move so there wasnt harsh shadows and lighting on him

Fact is, this guys a moron claiming to have talent with his new FOR PROZ SONY A100...

Stop defending this shit

>>232222

fucking moron.. expose properly and clone the shit out.

>I overexposed it intentionally cause it has a logo on it.
>Exposure Program Normal Program

Lol wut?

Guys, I raised the exposure in the Lightroom. It was already overexposed, I didn't even saw the logo when I took the photo, but after I imported it in LR It kept atracting my atenttion. Well, maybe I will rework on it later, then.

Or maybe you should just go and become an hero so we don't have to put up with any more of your bullshit?
>> Anonymous
And I shot it in auto mode cause I was a little nervous. Really. I mean, i don't need you guys to think I'm pro and shit, but I really can take manual pictures.

And I didn't even know the man, I just saw him a asked for a picture. I couldn't say "hey, go to your left where the light is better". I wish I could, but I don't.
>> Anonymous
>I mean, i don't need you guys to think I'm pro and shit

Then why all the fucking excuses?

>I really can take manual pictures.

So why don't you? fgt

>I couldn't say "hey, go to your left where the light is better". I wish I could, but I don't.

Grow a pair?

Bullshit :P

Am going to guess you don't know jack shit about manual,

if you did you would have at least gone into aperture priority, no matter how nervous.

How about you just drop the act, admit you know fuck all, and go back to taking pictures of deckchairs in the shade with your pro slr?

The subject and composition are good, but work on your exposure and post processing..

Also, ppl here tend to be assholes about stuff. dont take it personally, and keep shooting and youll get better, and the comments will get a little less harsh.
>> Anonymous
OP, good work, the exposure is perfect except for where it blew out. It's fine on the rest of the image, which is what counts.

Ignore the assholes, but do shoot manual next time. It's easy.

>OP, good work, the exposure is perfect except for where it blew out. It's fine on the rest of the image, which is what counts.

Are you fucking blind...

You think his hat is the only problem...

Look at his hands, you think there correctly exposed??

Look at the lower part of his neck, you think thats correctly exposed??

Look at the top of the chair, you think thats correctly exposed?

OP, ignore this moron, you fucked up, face it
>> Anonymous
>>232379

Hahaha.

Well, it was in Portrait mode, wich would be basically the same thing if I changed to AP and chosen the minimun aperture. And fuck, I know I should have taken the photo in Manual, but it was my first time, really. I can show you guys my other stuff, all manual.

>>232378

God, you're right. No more excuses. Ha.

>>232403

Help me then, How could it all be correctly exposed? I know some parts are overexposed and some subexposed, but I think the way the light is hitting into him, it's impossible to not be this way.
>> Anonymous
>>232403
GFD, chiaroscuro, motherfucker, do you know what it is?
>> Anonymous
>Help me then, How could it all be correctly exposed?

Get the man out of direct sunlight? Bust out a reflector? Shoot in RAW and post process?
>> Anonymous
>>232415
you have to be kidding...

if you actually think this is an example of the chiaroscuro technique; then i think you fell asleep during your art history class.
>> Honest So You Dont Have To Be !9UISPtwBPo
>>232415

Yes. yes i do,

But this faggot dosnt, dont try to hide behind your fancy terms for "art fags love fuck up lighting ^_^"

Fact is, he didnt know this, he just messed up

>>232413

>Help me then, How could it all be correctly exposed? I know some parts are overexposed and some subexposed, but I think the way the light is hitting into him, it's impossible to not be this way.

So how do you think people shoot in that light??

You put it on manual, compensate, underexpose, fix later.

Basicly... have ANY idea about what your doing and you would have known how to avoid this..

I shot in RAW, but I'm still learning how to use PS and LR. As I said, I will try to do some more work on this picture.
>> Anonymous

Oh how I fucking love /p/...
>> Anonymous
>>232444

Haha, I'm not crying yet. Maybe when I go to sleep.

Anyway, as anyone can see, I'm new to photography and whishing to learn. I'm not that fragile. I'll keep posting photos here.
>> Anonymous
>>232438

open the raw file twice.. expose once for the guy, another for the hat.

Copy the one for the hat, and paste it as a layer on the one exposed for the guy.

add a mask to the layer, invert the mask, then paint in the hat on the guy with a brush that is set to like 20 hardness.

thats how you fix this.
>> Anonymous
>>232478

Thank you.

I didn't learnt to use PS yet, only LR, but I'll try it. Thanks.
