Any tips on shooting lighting?

Was a spur of the moment thing so shot out of window in heavy rain on small tripod.

No exif data...

So... errm what did you use,

ISO?
Apature size?
Shutter speed?
Actual data is required in this forumhttp://www.4chan.org/rules.php

But if your shooting lighting then take into account silhouetting.

Hi I am new here, how do you post the exif data in that see "here" format spoiler format?

That was your mistake...

At night you want your ISO at 1600 or maybe 800 if you aren't too fussy about the focal length... to optimize the brightness.

All you do is post a JPEG that has embedded EXIF. 4chon reads it from the file and posts it automagically.

it depends. This pic was 100 ISO and F/4, and the lightning was so incredibly bright that it was maybe 2 stops overexposed. (Thank you, RAW)
Tip 1: Get remote release, set camera to burst with a combination of shutter speed and aperture that you, through testing, find ideal for that particular storm. Leave camera, make nachos, eat nachos, upload pics, delete 99% of them which have nothing, and get maybe 4 cool shots.
