Hey, sup /p/? I don't usually venture outside of /r9k/, so first time posting here. (I just realized it even existed, haha)

These were taken with my Canonet, film is Velvia. Ignore the filenames, not all of the pictures were taken on the same date but they were all scanned on that day and I save according to scan date.

Any comments or criticism for me? I know my photos aren't the sharpest ever but idk about that. No exif because they're film, herr. I'm not even sure how to upload exif if the files have it, is it automatic?

This first was taken in Trafalgar Square, London.
>> Anonymous
That's a cool photo. Welcome to /p/, we need more people like you to balance out the gearfags.

The exif on the image is displayed automatically if there is exif.

This is Covent Garden, probably my favourite shot to date.

Exif uploads automatically.

I like it but-
It needs to be more level. Gets your horizons horizontal. The half-way-in-the-frame pigeon kinda ruins the scene. And it would have been nice if all three (or four?) subjects were inline.

Nice picture, but it needs a little work.

fucking awesome shots, moar!

The Pigeon is supposed to be cut from the frame, just the same as the people in the background. Their legs are in the frame, and the person in the back is missing their head. The pigeon is in contrast to this with its head out of the frame.

I can't be arsed with the horizon, it's not that big of a deal with film.

Last one. All of these are candids by the by, that's all I generally can concern myself with.

This is a perfect example of the faggotry on /p/ that overanalyzes a picture. They're like technique gearfags.

My apologies, I forgot about this one. It's the Bloods, UK style. Notting Hill. I was concentrating on the colour red with this roll of film if you couldn't tell (same roll as the beautiful young lady with the red umbrella)
>> Rad !!IpQSryGvPPO
Really nice.

I'm always jealous of photographers who get lucky moments such as these.

Also, how the hell did you catch them candid when you were standing right in front of them? Could you share your technique?

>>214989
The Canonet itself is very unassuming in appearance, and at most I probably appear to them as little more than the typical tourist with an outdated camera. My trick if I don't want to get caught at all is to guess everything and base, say, my focus off of another unassuming person standing nearly the same distance away. Like with the lady with the umbrella, I pretended I was taking a picture of another random fellow in the street and quickly snapped the shot of her instead of he. He was expecting me to take a picture of him and was curious, and she in turn ignored me assuming it was none of her business. And the world turns on.
>> Gurka !!1FGiaTI46rX
I generally don't like street photography that much but I'm in love with these.
>> Depressed Cheesecake !wFh1Fw9wBU
Suspiciously good.

>>214989

Not OP.

Be quick and subtle. Use body language to convince them that you're not sticking a camera in their face.

I always try and look like a stupid tourist, and when an opportunity presents itself, I already have everything set before I put the camera up to my face: exposure, angle, focus, even rough composition.

Once the image is made, I try to look up or something...I never look at my subject after the image is made, nor do I check my histogram. I just look off into space like a tourist looking at the scenery.

These are really good; the kinds of moments I always hope for when I'm out on the streets.

"STOP IT" WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE
THE POINT IS THESE PICTURES ARE TINY AND I MUST HAVE BIGGER PICTURES

Sir, I hope you don't mind me asking. Do you have a photostream or somewhere online where we can see more?

I'm someone who's fed up with seeing your trite posts. So stop it. Start making good posts that don't display the judgement and taste of a drunk, stubborn ten year old.

I've been quiet up until now, I've tried to be polite, but enough is enough.

I can fucking read; I saw you said "bigger" and there is no point to anything being wider than 1000 pixels or so, because then you get into browser resizing territory. People make 4x6 and smaller prints. Why? Because not everyone is trying to berate their OMG DETAIL into the viewer.

You can see everything important about these at this size.
>> M?e?e?s?e??? !iZn5BCIpug
>>215034
You are an obsessive compulsive jew. BTW THESE ARE 500 PIXELS WIDE NOT THE /P/ RECOMMENDED 1000 PIXELS WIDE
>> Anonymous
>>215038
What, you're a damned anti-Semite on top of being a asshat? Figures.

Also, 1000 pixels is the MAXIMUM most monitors can display without resizing. It's the computer version of a giant print. Not everyone feels the need to push it that far. There really is none except for imposing landscapes or whatnot. These are nice little 4x6s.

What would be gained by putting these up at a larger size? Nothing. You can see everything important here- content, form, and color.

Here, post something you think is good. Prove you're not a tasteless dumbass.

Wow, I love these pictures! Great work!

I've read your rambling, nonsensical posts and I hope you'll return me the favor. I commited the unforgivable act of jumping into a pile of logs on the roof of the Horde base in Warsong Gulch on the day that everyone found out about the logout macro that lets you jump into the air. Considering how you are completely clueless about everything else that goes on around you, I am undoubtedly sure that you have no idea what macro I'm talking about despite it being huge news that day (your defense I'm sure will be 'but im not a exploitery wuld i no about tat``, don't even try to feign ignorance in this matter as your members know about Syndrome and other trainers and undoubtedly would have heard about this as well). I was on the roof with the flag and thought, what the hell, I'm going to jump on top of these logs (where I can still be hit by ranged) since Apathy is running up side and he is a huge tool. I was honestly very surprised that he did not post a crybaby thread immediately after the game, but fortunately he did not let me down in the end. I was up there for less than two minutes, and if you look at that screenshot I am at half health and dropping quickly. It was completely spur of the moment, and I would like you to find a SINGLE other person, anywhere, who can attest to me ever exploiting or even doing anything that resembles griefing in a battleground game (note miko: spitting is not griefing). This was completely spur-of-the-moment, and if you think it was done in fear of our BG team losing to the dreaded ILLICIT organized group and Apathy, the greatest warrior to ever grace Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin with his awe-inspiring presence, I am so sorry.

By the way Meese, good job making a cocksucker out of yourself. I used to hate DC the most on these boards and now it's you. You're a piece of shit. Go learn how to take pictures and post reasonably intelligent responses or die in a ditch.
