Hi /p/. Anon here.I am getting a new camera next week.I have $1,600 to spend.I'm thinking about getting a"Sony Alpha A700"What does /p/ recommend that I get?KthxByePic related. Its the camera
Nikon d300, its pretty big, but its a very nice camera 12mp
What's the best flavor of ice cream?
Contrary to what some gearfags think, I've seem some good things out of the Alphas. For the money, good camera, good features for basic stuff.I'd say, an Alpha, an extra lens or two, and a good bounce flash.
Not the A700. Other Alphas are fine, but the A700 intentionally messes up the raw files, applying possibly unwanted noise reduction to them and removing fine detail before you ever get to make the call yourself.
Go play with an A700, D300/700/wat and 40D or whatever canons equiv is.They're all the same and how they feel in your hand is far more important than a .01% noise performance increase.
