I've gotten the response to shop out the sun on this one from a couple of people. Thoughts on that?

i'd say leave it.. i like it

I agree with the OP's comment.

Very meh.
>> beethy !vW/UaE6zYU
>>250070
It would probably look a little better without the sun but not really worth the effort shopping it out. Unless you blacken it out with a heavy gradient... but that would appear a little fake.
Clone tooling it isn't really an option because of the heavy glare

I have to say I like it better with the sun. Also brush>gradient.

woo nice pano, though crop off the left area past the tree, its boring (comparatively) would get your pic closer to 3:1,and the ground is distractingly bright

53 image pano over nymph lake I think

Computer froze twice on this one, it didn't like working with 1.28gig files apparently.

First of the medium format shots.

Yeah I know. It's like I get out there and my brain shuts off and how to take photos. Part of it that I'm so used to working with a zoom and that all the movements in the view finder being backwards I have a damn hard time composing shots.

I need more practice with it. Not going to post anymore of them.

I wasn't talking about the composition (although it didn't blow me away, it wasn't poor), I meant the medium-format quality.

Are you developing the film yourself or having a lab do it? Are you pushing or pulling at all?
>> NatureGuy !se3A3TwzdY
>>250713
Developing them myself in a rather limited lab (read school that has gone full digital and had a bunch of lab scraps laying around). These are just scans, they would come out better on silver tone prints, but I'm out of paper and don't have the cash to burn on paper atm.

I didn't mess with the film developing at this round because it was the first time I fielded that light meter and wanted to make sure it was worked. I tend to leave Ilford in for an extra minute or two for deeper blacks, which I will do next time.

You really shouldn't expect much difference on the web.

It makes a difference in print quality, like if I had the cash to go by some 30" paper and make prints. Or even if in digital you end up with the capability to print larger than most reasonably priced digital cameras. Also when printing large you have the advantage of grain vs noise and pixelation.

I scanned them at 3200 dpi, here's a 100% crop of>>250698if you're curious what it looks like.
