Hey guys, I'm not really into any hardcore photography or anything, but I figured here would be a good place to get some info on a camera i'm thinking about getting. Right now I can get a 5.0 mp digital camera on sale for ~$50, but it's made by come company called Vupoint that I've never heard of before. Like I said, I don't want this camera for any hardcore picture taking, just the casual pictures of my friends/pets/family kind of deal. Can you give me some info on Vupoint and if I should get the camera? It's this one, btw: http://www.riteaid.com/stores/weekly_ad/detail_item.jsf?tnumber=T27923&circularId=1225&page=11®ion=east
If you don't really need anything special go for a samsung A503, I've had it for 1 year now... takes good pictures, no special features, but and you can get it for under 80 dlls in the interweb. At least its a better brand...
I think finding reviews on the internet might be more rewarding, since most of us aren't into the million of brands that produce point-and-shoot cameras.
www.dpreview.com is your friend. I use it to check out any camera I think about buying. cnet.com is also pretty good.
OP here. I tried digging around for reviews already but didn't find much. The few sets of reviews I did find gave it around 3 or 4 out of 5 stars for the most part. I'm checking out dpreviews's forums right now to see if I can dig anything up.
don't buy a noname camera. it's going to be the shittiest 128x128 fuzzy shaky unfocused image scaled up by 20 you ever saw
wait until you have enough dough mmmkay?
OP Again. I told Mom when she asked me this morning that I wasn't so sure about spending my money on a camera I didn't know anything about. She shoved her money at me and told me to get it and if it sucked we'd just take it back. lol if we get stuck with it she can keep it, I'll just keep using my oldschool camera that takes 600 film.
