indeed. I was actually at work and it started snowing like a bastard, so I decided to trudge out for a bit. Only had my walkabout lens with me, though. If I came better prepared, I would've used my 135mm. I doubt it'll snow again, but there's always next winter :)

I think you mean wider aperture, because a longer focal length means you get less in the picture (even if you back up, the angle of view shrinks, so the background would be thinner)

check EXIF. max lens aperture is f/4.4, this is taken at f/5. sure, step backwards untill the foreground fills the frame in the same way (won't change too much). i would step down the lens even more so the photo would be sharper
