I dropped my canon 24-70 f/2.8 a few too many times... and eventually my images started looking like this.

well, i sent it into canon. The body of the lens was like half cracked open...

my canon repair ticket said "replace damage filter sleeve and fixed sleeve assy."

Call me a gimmicky whore, but I dig this one.

BUT, if you didn't explain that it was with a broken lens, I would probably be like, "Shitsux..." I just like how different it is, that's what I like about messing with broken/outdated gear and toy cameras. I've been shooting with an old Polaroid ProPack a little recently and I've gotten some neat stuff out of it. It has no settings on it, no light meter, nothing. It's a manual focus, but the focusing is done by estimating your distance from the subject (No rangefinder, just a random viewfinder). And it supposedly uses a flash to balance the exposure out, but the flash is broken so I just shoot with available light.

I'll hafta buy some more film, shoot some more with it, and maybe scan 'em for you guys.

do it! that sounds awesome. I'm jealous.

I bought an old basic Holga about 6 years ago and I broke it while I was trying to mod it... I just ordered a new one, haha.
