I tried my hand at some astrophotography last night using my 70-200mm lens. I took pictures of Vega and the center area of Scorpius. I took 7or8 3sec exposures and then I stacked them using Registax. Unfortunately, the light pollution here is so bad, these pictures seem to be the best I can get even AFTER postprocessing in photoshop. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The main redish star is Antares. There is a small star cluster just to the upper right of the star.

Mostly just looks like sensor dust.

I suggest going somewhere with less light pollution.

Or maybe not. Whatever. Just do whatever you want. I'm being gay. See?

Freedom is lovely. ;)
