Meh while /p/ is all full of trolls and gearfaggotry Ill add to it a little with my request. /p/ has me interested in film so I am going to have a play with some BnW and my Father-in-law's old AE-1 and developing gear. So my request is does anyone have any good links (prefer pdf) on the basics of darkroom work? I know nothing beyond the wikipedia article on it + some googling.
Scans of books would be good, if I find I enjoy it then I will probably spring for a decent book/guide.

I am currently looking at this place:
http://www.photo.co.nz/newprods/newchem.htm
to get chems from, I assume any links that are hopefully provided will enlighten me as to which ones I need :D

Thanks man... I already tried that, just thought someone might have some more verified info, but hey, I can see how its pretty horrible to ask for information about photography on a photography board.

On the other hand I just found what looks like a reasonably decent step by step guide on the Kodak website :P

put the film in a tank(in the dark, obviously). mix 2tsp instant coffee, 2tsp washing soda (that's baking soda after cooking it for a few minutes), and a cup of water. dump it in the tank and shake it every minute for a half hour. then dump it out and pour some diluted vinegar in. shake it a little, pour it out. mix fixer as directions on the package and pour that in and let it sit for 10mins. it's really not that complicated.

Also, watch ghostbusters 2 to get an idea of how you should set your equipment up
