Extrem fast shutter, but not?Any tips for improvement? I don't have any gels or food colouring on hand, I thought some colour might help but wasn't totally sure. The white isn't totally clean either I don't think, especially nearer the top. I'm happy with the crop though.EXIF data available. >>108631I'm looking a the EXIF, and im deeply confused as to how this could be a 1 second shot???
>>108653Dark room + flash.
>>108654That would make sense then, thanks :D
>>108654Yeah this, takes a few tries to get the timing right, you have to go - open shutter, drop object, trigger flash when you think it's hit the water, wait for shutter to close.
What's the setup like? Is it some plastic box with water and the camera is on one side?
>>109173Pretty much, but I used a square-ish glass vase, less likely to have scratches and things than plastic, white card behind it, camera to one side and flash bounced off the ceiling.
>>109184How do you avoid the reflections on the vase/container/whatever?
>>109186trial and error with the angle of the flash i would assume, plaus if its "squarish" like hes saying it shouldnt bee too hard to get the light to come straight down on the subject
