Work with composition, but you've got some nice textures going on.

I noticed you always use an auto exposure, you should try using manual so you can manipulate the depth of field, as well as the darks and lights the way you want them. Also, if you research principals of design it may give you a stronger base for your composition, and try taking a photo multiple times from different angles and with different exposure settings.

Stay away from pictures like these. These are boring and overdone. Stay away from old buildings/buildings all together.

you are a cliched asshole.

I'm not being an asshole. I'm trying to tell OP that no one will take your works seriously if you show them some pics of old buildings.

saddly its true..people want pictures of people nowaday's..go to a nudist beach and snap some shots there for awhile..sarcasm of course but you gotta match the the texture and color with what your taking pics of...picture an old married couple sitting on a bench..what would look better..black&white or color

art has always been linked with consciousness.the contempary artist conveys what the consciousness of the present is aware of.most of these works fall behind in a sea of mediocraty.accessing the sub-conscious is a more interesting approach to subject matter, awakening the viewers own mind to possibilties that are latent and giving direct representation to the world unseen or unknown.these artists, when being accepted by the common public influence the course of history, while others that are obscure are known to be bizarre or abstract.of course painting is the easiest way to convey what the minds eye sees ,but a good photographer will find props in everyday life to tickle the minds of the masses so they can be recognized as in touch with current avents.

Pictures of buildings can turn out just as well as any other subject, it all depends on how you present it, composition and black/white balance is what really matters
