nah, it's a great camera and the lens selection is getting better too.

I personally would stick with nikon just because i am fairly entrenched in their systems.

But we all know you're a troll since if you had that much to buy a camera, you'd know what you want and your budget down to the T.

Obviously I can't prove that I'm not a troll and I actually saved up quite a lot of money being a basement dweller with no girlfriend and other expenses.

Have a totoro in a pot.

Troll. You're so obvious, someone who's actually serious would have begun to list the reasons why they chose the E-3 over any other model.

You fail.

...okay, if you insist
1) I already have a couple olympus lenses and lens adapters;
2) I want a superior viewfinder over my current E-500;
3) I want IS.

I was thinking about jumping ship to Canon, but then figured out that for a real improvement I'd need a 5D, which is going to be OVER FIVE THOUSAND including IS lenses and flash.

Oh, if you're already in the Olympus system (you poor, poor bastard), then go for it.

35-100mm f2

GET IT, these F2 zooms are the main redeeming quality of the Olympus system.

Old Olympus lenses aren't that much of a problem: most of them can be sold for more than I've bought them. But having to buy new IS ones if I go for Canon/Nikon kinda sucks.

You can kill baby elephants with that. I'd rather have the 14-35/2, but Olympus is pulling a Duke Nukem Forever with it.

I wouldn't spend $5000 on the Olympus system even if it was someone else's money.

holy shit it costs more than all my photo gear combined

if I had $5000 i would spend it on a Nikon D300 w/ 18-200mm VR DX lens. now were to find one
>> Jeremo !iKGMr61IHM

why would you stick that piece of shit on the D300? it's like getting an Aston Martin and sticking hoodpins on it.

I put new rims, go faster stripes, big flame sitckers, a spoiler and lighting under my Aston Martin. It's awesome. ^____^
>> BUDDY
I'd use the 5K as down paymenton a metallic black Volvo V70R with 17" rims and performance suspension which I would then re-chip and blow the charge couple device off any Nikon Canon or whatever

YES.

Just buy a mid-range body with top-end lens.
