Warranty? Anonymous
A friend of mine dropped my SB-600 onto the cement floor and now the flash no longer "whines", flashes, or even get the ready indicator.

Anybody know what's broken? Is it the capacitor or some shit?

Also, I just recently purchased this a month ago so should the warranty pay for the repair if I just say that it malfunctioned?

Are you retarded?
It's going to be obvious to them that you dropped it.
It sounds like you shattered the bulb.

OP here.

It's not obvious, there's practically no marks on it at all. I don't think the bulb is broken either because after my friend dropped it, he clicked the flash button a few times and it worked. But after that, it stopped charging.

Are YOU retarded? Why would OP post this question if it was obvious that they broke it? Use some common sense, dickbutt.

Oh, I have a similar problem.

I just accidentally my SB-600, is that bad?

My guess would have to be that the capacitor broke. The bulb should be on another section of the circuit inside anyways.

did you check the capacitor fluid?
you need to press the button and tilt the flash head backwards, like beyond 180 degrees (its not easy, but then it just gives) and then you can see inside to see whats damaged.
the first time you open it it will be very tight.

And if it breaks, you're screwed with your warranty.

i think the warranty is void anyway.
