I am way too indecisive Anonymous
/p/ I seek your council. As most college students I'm about as broke as it gets (a really bad trait for photograpers unfortunately). I shoot mostly landscape and wildlife. I cant decide which to get first - a wide angle lens for the landscape shots, or a 2x teleconverter for my 70-300 to shoot animals etc. HALP!

You really need a longer throw than 300mm? Are you shooting lions in the wild?
Learn how to stay downwind and build blinds or treestands.

sorry, 28-80 3.3-5.6 and 70-300 4-5.6

have you tried to photograph birds? ever? I swear to God as soon as your eye goes to the viewfinder they shrink...

Since you're a broke college student, a 18-55 f3.5-5.6 may be the way to go to get a moderate wide angle, since it is dirt cheap.

I'd go wide, myself.
