sup /p/

I have about $400 to blow on my a100.

I have the 18-70 and the 75-300. While not the best lenses, considering i paid a combined total of $135 for both of them, i can't complain. Lenses seem to be in the $100-$200 dollar range for non-g lenses, then increase sharply from there, so i was thinking about getting a Minolta 5600HS.

that's what i was looking at. I've found a few on Ebay in amazing condition for $100, and the 5600HS (well, the sony one) on B&H is only $300. Win.

$100 is a rip off, mine was less than that and it works perfectly. The new cheaper sony flash is now fully rotateable so if you dont do any monster flash photography, get that instead.

If you do any real photography, get a vertical grope.

But sony doesn't make an official vertical grip for the A100. I've only seen the cheap knock off brands on Amazon.

The $100 is for the "crossed x" lense. I'll keep an eye on Ebay for cheaper 50f/1.7s.

Yep but one of the 3rd party ones is pretty decent, but its only worth getting if you do a lot of portrait work (which you dont, because you would have said so)

wth is the crossed x lense?

it's a lens with the logo in the picture engraved on it instead of whatever else it would be. >_>
