Does she look plastic because of the IR or because it's a realdoll?

This is the closest I've got. Just playing around shortly after I got my R72. I'd like to take a real shot at it some time, but it's too cold for outdoor portraiture right now and there's not really enough light indoors for IR.

I can't afford a real doll since I spent all my money on the D70 IR Body :)
Not that I would buy one anyway....

AND heres one Prior to any B+W conversion (Custom WB is all)

IR meaning Infrared? Are these just some sort of filter? Please educate me
>> Vincent

>>102361
Ok i'll bite, Yes it stands for Infrared.

>>102335, This pic involves a filter that is placed in front of the camera lens (costs about 25-75$), which only lets Infrared light pass. Unfortunately camera's also block IR infront of the sensor, so it needs long shutter speeds, and high ISO's even during the daytime to expose properly.

My version costs much more, BUT it removes the IR blocking filter infront of the sensor (in my case a D70) And replaces it with the same material the R72 uses (720nm wavelength cutoff)
This way the cam will autofocus, and allow a lot more light to hit the sensor (roughly equal to what visible light is) so the camera even meters properly (Unlike slapping the filter on)
www.lifepixel.com did mine. Total cost would be around $600-700 for a similar setup.

BTW heres a comparison non IR pic for reference

IR = interference reduction. it's a filter that effectively cancels all electromagentic wavelengths (interference) larger than 1mm and smaller than about 750-1000nm.
>> Vincent
Also for those looking closely, you will notice something..

Take a look in this pic,>>102362
Dark blue shirt, Its made of Nylon and Polyesterene, its quite thick actually and in no way is see through.

>>102336
Take a closer look at her chest in this pic, When you see it you will shit bricks so to speak.

>>102416
>>102368
Is it really that hard to see?
YES it is the bra line, Except now you can actually see it through the shirt (Infrared light passes through some materials much better than visible light)
Cotton = blocked(Visible), Nylon = partly see through

Search "X-ray infrared" on google and you will see a bunch sites trying to convince you you can see right through womens clothing. (Except 90% of clothes are cotton.. )

This is the only one I can find at the moment, and I can only find the tiny version. Anyway, it was shot on HIE with a red 25 filter. It was exposed at ISO 400 and processed in Ilfosol.

I think that is wishful thinking on your part.
>> Vincent
>>102452
Actually not, Shes wearing a black sports bra with White trim, (which is whats visible)

>>102335
You might also have noticed the gay looking glasses shes wearing, They are sunglasses, IR light passes right through them like they are regular untinted glass.
>> Anonymous
Who cares about a bra line? You can see them anytime a woman is wearing a tight shirt and a bra at once.

What the big deal even then is, I don't know. It's a bra. Woo-hoo.
>> Vincent
>>102455
I don't think I ever claimed it to be titillating. I was just pointing out that Infrared light can pass through some materials.
>> Anonymous
>>102362
You spent $600-700 on an IR-only camera and this is the best you've managed to do with it? How about learning to shoot interesting portraits first.

What's the point of IR in these photos anyway, they just look like black and white conversions with some shopping.
>> Vincent
>>102457
Actually I don't take portraits, hence why after owning this camera for like 4 months these are my first real portraits. I generally do landscapes.

If your done attempting to slander me, /b/ is that way.

>>102454
>You might also have noticed the gay looking glasses shes wearing, They are sunglasses,
True.

And just to be clear, in case anyone doesn't realize it, they look just as gay as sunglasses as they do with the IR filter.
>> Anonymous
Hello. What is wrong with you people?

>>102460If your done attempting to slander me, /b/ is that way.

I'm sorry, did you mistake 4chan for somewhere with people who give a shit? GTFO newfag.
>> eku !8cibvLQ11s
Just wondering, what does black people look trough IR filter?
>> Anonymous
>>102495

Who knows? The only time a black person handles a camera is when they are running to the pawn shop or local fence after a mugging or burglary and the only times in front of them when in a police line up or mug shots.

Obligatory 4chan racist jokes. LAWL.

So if I carefully arrange her wardrobe, I could get a peek?
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>102518
Only if you then post it here. Because of... optics. Yeah. Optics. Optics demand that you post it here.
>> Vincent
>>102495
Hmmm now you have me wondering, too bad I don't know anyone who is...

she looks prettier in infra red.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA

I disagree. For me, she's way in the Uncanny Valley in infrared.

holy shit
The original Grinman image with EXIF was posted, possibly the most significant photo in all of 4chanistan, and the janitors had it removed because its not an apropos to the 4chan photography board. I guess this is why /p/ is so awesome and popular rofl DX

I'm always amazed with how out of touch the mods are with the boards they are meant to be looking after. I can't believe that they are any sort of regular.
