I inherited a Pentax P30t, and it has a nice big Vivitar 28-200 lens on it. I've never done any proper photography, and certainly not SLR stuff. As far as I can read, I havn't got the most high quality Pentax on my hands, but it's going to easily be decent enough to break me into the workings and functions of an SLR camera, is this correct?

I'm going to nice Wildlife park in a week's time, so that will be the perfect oppurtunity to test it out. Should I get any specific film for it? I found an old box of Fujifilm Superia 200 in the house. How will this do, and does it matter if film is out of date? How does it affect shots?

superia's a good film. if it's expired, it'll get grainier and there might be a slight color cast.

if you want cheap good film, go get more superia. or go expensive and get some slide film and black and white film.
