I just bought it today (refurb) and I'm not in the mood.

note to self: if for whatever reason i ever want to buy refurb, make sure de-pubing is one of the things they do.

9 times out of 10, refurb just means that they repackage the item. Lurk moar.

You might be able to clean that off, but if you can take it back I would do that instead.

Complain and you might get a brand new cam for the same price (or a bit of a discount)

OP here. Yeah I'm gonna take it back, but it's just the lens that's the problem, thankfully.

I would flip a shit and a half if it was my D70.

That looks like sensor dust to me, I doubt that is on the lens
>> Anonymous
>>44575
How can you differentiate the two?
>> Anonymous
Dust doesn't show up so "sharp" on the lens, its more of like asmudge or a shadow, This is definite and clear,
Try out a different lens at f/32 and i bet you will see the same thing

What about the speckles in the corner?

OP here.

Of course. I'd love to see the site as well.

I think everything is on the sensor, Ive taken plenty of pics with dusty lenses before and haven't seen anything like this.

Just clean it off yourself with a brush, I even use one of those blower brushes on my sensor, No need to buy one of those $50 little anti static brushes (unless your anal)

Well I've got a spec on my D70's focusing screen...

How do I go about getting that out. I've tried almost everything so far.

Anyone?

bring it to someone, viewfinder screens are very delicate. a CLA at your local shop should have that as part of the work and would cost around $35-75.
