Dear /p/

I just bought a Nikkor 28mm f/2.8
but
I found a 24mm f/2.8 for like $80 more.

Should i send the 28mm back and go for the 4mm extra wideangle?
(shooting film, though that really doesnt make a difference)

Yes.

So it's definitly worth the $80 bump?

If it will help, think of it as $20/mm.

But honestly, I don't know if it's worth it. I haven't used the 28mm f/2.8. I guess it depends on what you already own.

No. It's worth the bump if you want to go wider, which you may or may not.

Go for whatever one gives you better IQ.

>OP here.

I've been using a 50mm f/1.8 for a little over a year, i've played around with wideangle a bit with digi, but i was wondering more about lens quality overall.

From what I've read, the 28 has slightly better IQ, but I don't think it's anything significant that should sway your choice.
