I'm looking for a good starter digital SLR camera to use in a desert environment. The features I'm looking for are interchangeable lens and high resolution. So far my camera experience is limited to using my Samsung S730 to take normal photos and record stupid videos of my friends messing around. I plan on taking both and using the samsung until it breaks from obvious incredible wear and tear and only taking out the SLR when I have good, safe opportunities to take pictures./p/ suggests what?

you are definately going to want to go with the d40x and make sure you get a wide angle lensbe sure to buy the most expensive kit so you get the best lens first and can buy a crappy one second
>>134260I don't think the K100D is.
>>134318you're right, so he should just get the k10d (should be cheaper too with the release of the k20d)
>>134318At least k200d is.
