my scanner gives B&W film a funny tint to it when scanned in colour, but i actually seem to like it, a real nice sepia feel.whats your opinion?
I'd guess because it compensates to the brown color of the negative. If you're scanning in negative mode, that is.
>>35114ah!i'm amazed that i didn't think of that. Because B&W negs are well, basically B&W colour, i guess its trying to compensate for the brown of a colour neg.
Try a better scanning soft like vuescan or silverfast. I had problems with my old minolta pitscan until I started using vuescan to drive it.
On a similar topic, does anybody know where i can find a decent negatives scanner that won't f-up my b&w negatives?
>>35242i'm looking at replacing my aging HP 7400 and Nikon Coolscan IV ED with a Nikon Coolscan 9000
i really like the color though
