Two random pictures from my house I took a while ago. They aren't great or even good compared to an experienced photographer, but I just wanted to post them in case you find something specific to comment on.

In this shot, I wanted to contrast the rigid horizontal lines of the blinds and the crisscross pattern of the tiles with the natural curvature of the plant. Actually, I just wanted to use my camera's b&w mode. And it turned out kind of blurry.

I know there were composition issues in the last picture (plant was too far away and in the shadows) but I like this picture.

Nothing really. Too boring.

Pretty nice as far as kitchen supplies go I guess. Technically a good photo.

I wanted to post this one too; not as a photo, but so I can mention that the camera took several exposures of the water droplet falling.

The only thing I can guess is that the flash flashed several times (like for red-eye reduction) and lit the water several times as the drop fell, and this was captured on the exposure. However, the exposure time was 1/60 seconds so I doubt the flash could go off that fast.

Should really clean that.

Unless the drop leaving creates that sort of action, kind of like a spring.

I'll do it tomooorrow. Sheese, quit bugging me about it.

I think the main compositional gaffe here is the little sliver of hallway on the right side. I'd have framed it up and to the left a bit.

In terms of content... kinda isn't any. Too much stuff in it to be a good abstract, not enough in it to be a good non-abstract.

Honestly... for some reason, the picture makes me feel sad and mildly nauseated. Which sounds like more of a flame than it's intended to be...

Kinda nice. Needs fewer visual elements, though. There's real single subject to draw your eyes, so they just wander aimlessly around the frame for a while, then get bored and go home.

I know it's distracting. That and there is too much tile. But I tried cropping those things out and it looked pretty bad. Without the light area on the right, the photograph looked uneven and the plant was not framed. Not that I disagree with your comments, but cropping won't fix the issues even a bit. As for contrast, I agree.

Why do you think there were multiple flashes fired? It just looks like one in the photo, because it is. That's what it looks like.

>>164318
Because, from what I observed, the same water droplet appears multiple times in the photograph.

No, they're all very clearly different, in size and shape. Unless you think water actually comes out of your faucet in a stead stream like a river?
>> Anonymous
>>164331
No shit. I have the faucet on so it's just enough to build up on the faucet head and drip one drop of water at a time. Think of a cave. The water wasn't dripping fast enough that I couldn't see each droplet detach from the water around the faucet head.

But you are right about the droplet being much better than the rest of the spheres still attached. It must be some sort of recoil action cause by the droplet leaving the rest of water.

Yes, that's exactly it actually. The system's weight is changed when gravity pulls the fat drop off the end of the chain of water, and what little elasticity and tension that small drip has pulls smaller "recoil" droplets back up towards the faucet mouth.
