2. Post only photos that show at least trace amounts of thoughtful composition. Do not upload random snapshots.

It's crap

There is a trace amount of thoughtful composition. He just didn't quite hit the mark, and this type of photo rely entirely on composition.

>>234116
At least clean it up before posting it. You have marks on it from dust on your sensor. The clouds are distracting. Why is there vignetting?

I'm not really sure what could fix the composition. Maybe zoom out a little bit more, and move up and to the right a bit? That way, you crop out that 4th set of horizontal lines, and at least most of the clouds, and get a little closer to the rule of thirds.

Well thank you for something better than 'It's crap'

Dust marks I never noticed

Clouds... well.. I zoomed in to try and cut them out rather than relying on cropping later on
And I definately can't alter the weather

First time ever actually trying rule of thirds, seeing as how I only read about it

And... vignetting? Por que?
>> beethy !vW/UaE6zYU
there's nothing interesting in the slightest about this shot
so much empty pointless space... and it's so horribly composed and boring looking.

All those slightly grey, out-of-focus spots are most likely sensor dust. It looks like you have 7 or 8 of them, but only a few are very large.

Crop before you shoot. It's still called cropping. Either by zooming or moving the camera. I'd suggest moving it up to remove the clouds in this shot. Weather isn't an excuse. If you can't get the shot you want in the current weather, come back later, or find a shot that works with the weather.

Keep practicing the rule of thirds. It's not *always* needed, but it is definitely an easy rule to follow to help composition.

Vignetting is the darkness in the corners. It can happen from stacking too many filters, crappy lenses, or not screwing filters on enough. Some people add it intentionally, either before the shot or in post. It works in some images, not so much in this one IMO.

Vignetting can range from slightly darker corners to a full-blown black circle around the entire photo.

minimalism has lots of empty space. or can atleast.

but if the person said empty space can be good, and minimalism does have empty space, why does it mean he hasn't heard it?

lol sorry.
