Movement Anonymous
Hopefully I haven't posted these earlier...

But I was watching through old photos, and wondered, is there any other way to capture sense of movement than panning?

running along side the car at the same speed.

So that means I just need to learn to pan.. and find better spots around the track :-P

if by playing with fire you mean burned out photo, then yes.

white balance doesnt change how overexposed your photo is, it just shifts the color balance.

Why the hell are you saging in /p/... it takes a day to move a thread off the page. grow up.
p.s. IT could be shopped to normal easily but I don't like shopping photos because I didn't shop photos in 35 so im not going to give myself the luxary of shopping in digital.

you sage as courtesy because theres no reason to bump it to the top of the page. also, one does not simply shop out burned highlights. another thing, what does saging have to do with growing up by the way? im going to sage just to spite you even though this thread is at the top right now.

Are they moving? Or are they standing still? I really can't tell from the photo...
Something like Baseball, football, action shots that show movement, like a pitcher mid-pitch, batter mid-swing, receiver jumping in the air to catch a ball, all seem like good things to me. But in a race, a shot of a car in the middle of a track... not so much, atleast imo. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but if its a car or vehicle, I like some indication its, ya know, moving!

you could always use a slow shutter speed and, not pan.
