Storm chase with mom is really hardcore dude

Shot with tripod and slow shutter a rainy night on an old switchyard, probably not the best place to be under thunderstorm. As the cell approached me, i moved in under a bridge...

I am in a family of Ham radio operators and photographers. I am the only one that does both.

It gets kinda scary when it starts to get to close for comfort.

...where I took this shot. I got more picture from that night. I think I took 100-150 shots, but only about ten "hits". Two hours walk 20 kg photo equipment in heavy rain. I was soaked, tired and my body was aching, but it was worth it!

Tripod + long exposer seems to be the best.

A good trick I have found is getting a memory card for a digital and just hold the trigger down and hope the lightning strikes.

bad thing about that is you have to delete like 500 pictures for every 1 with a good shot. It gets to be time consuming.

Must've is the correct contraction. I agree with you, people who use "must of done x" belong in the same category as rappers and trailer trash
