Don't use HDR on a pano, just overlay the clouds (Aka create 2 layers, and edit the sky and ground seperately) or use a nuetral density gradient filter.

Open the NON-HDR pano,
Duplicate the layer (the entire pic)

Then make a mask and black out the ground, Then Adjust the contrast via moving the brightness slider + contrast slider) until the sky looks like how you want it to.

Then do the same for the base layer (except it will only affect the ground, because of the mask)

Voila. Flaten image, do slight adjustments, and you have a decent image.

More info on this pic; stitched in AutoStitch from two layers of images (vertical images exposing for the ground, then overlapping the horizon and exposing for the sky). No formal HDR on it, except the blending from AutoStitch.

>>82299
Was your advice about not doing hdr on skies a general comment based on the filename of my image, or was it aimed specifically at my image because the sky looks crap?

Also, I'm going back to restitch this using HugIn to see how much better it does

Cause it looked like crap, Tonemapping is not cruise control for cool.

PTGui is pretty good for Pano's, tough to crack it though.

The image is fine if you view the larger sized one, but the file might be slightly corrupted which is probably why the thumbnail does not appear.
