Sweet street photography.. this looks almost staged.. what PP workflow does he use to get this hyper-real looking effect?

mmm borders
>> Anonymous
>>232209

i think the borders add to these photos
>> Anonymous
Just a lot of selective sharpening, toning and softening.
>> Anonymous
>>232198
high powered strobe

>>232199
>>232200
natural light
>> Anonymous
>>232223

no strobe in the first one.. thats natural light.. just shopped
>> Depressed Cheesecake !wFh1Fw9wBU
Looks like good sharpening and shadows & highlights adjustment layers.

these seem ok.
these pictures dont make me want to ctrl c ctrl t ctrl v this guy
>> Anonymous
Could someone please explain what's so cool about these images?

The only one I find remotely interesting is>>232200because of the confusion in gender stereotypes... I know the wives have just left them with the bags but still it's interesting.
>> Anonymous
>>232304

what's interesting is how theatrical and staged they look, but how theyre completely candid photos.
>> Anonymous
>>232316
Ahh okay, I wasn't looking at it aesthetically. I do admit they look quite nice.
>> beethy !vW/UaE6zYU
don't like these at all.. way too boooooooring.
like another anon said.. these shots aren't making me google the guy either.
>> soulr !lK4GD5SleY
Checked the site, some of his stuff is nice, other stuff not so good.
>> Wagoon !3GqYIJ3Obs
>>232526
agreed, kinda hit and miss, but the sharpening and the very natural look are what makes the good ones good
>> Anonymous
>>232519

a quick look through your post-processing thread pretty much explains why you wouldnt get/like stuff like this
>> beethy !vW/UaE6zYU
>>232635
i apologise for not having your opinion
you fag
>> Anonymous
>>232653
It's not just your opinion, it's your complete lack of artistic eye.

I'm just kidding; I hate 90% of "museum photography" since I find them boring or unnatural.
>> Anonymous
>>232226
Lol no, that's a strobe. See the shadow? You can see the shadow from the equipment itself.
>> beethy !vW/UaE6zYU
>>232664
i lol'd
>> Anonymous
>>232664

seriously. you're an idiot.. all his stuff is naturally lit
>> Anonymous
>>232664

also, look at the exif next time, moron.

the whoel point of that series is to get people to wonder whether the shots were set up, but have them all be nautrally lit, candid street shots. its his post processing technique that does that, and i think by your comments, he's achieved his goal
>> Anonymous
>>232768
Post-processing does not make a good photograph.
>> Pentard !pjwjmEQ1RM
Except for the very skilled PP, the first two shots are total shit.

The third one is funny, and the PP makes it more interesting than it would have been as a raw shot.

Not enough to make me want to go to his site though.

Strobes don't necessarily show up in EXIF, smart guy.
