I agree that the angle of the shot is a positive element but I think it would've been better executed with an angle that gave just a little more of a sense of grandness. This one makes it look dynamic but not ver large, especially with the people setting the scale in the foreground.

I disagree. You should have taken 5 more minutes to find a better vantage point...It's awful. The impact of your center of interest has diminished due to not only people, but by a fence, a poll, a tree and an off axis presentation.
When you are looking at your shots to pick good ones this is one of those shots that is looked at once and deleted.
