35/1.2 is xbox hueg compared to 35/1.4. And I don't think that extra 1/2 of a stop is significant - yeah, it's ZOMFG BOKEH, but even at f/1.4 the DoF is already so small that even a little bit of rangefinder misalignment (or your own miscalculation) results in fucked up photos.

35's a great length.

If it were me, my religion dictates that I get the fastest lens possible, regardless of weight/size considerations. I mean, the 1.4 isn't exactly a pamcaek either, they're both gonna be big.

The 35 1.4 is probably fine for you, though.

I reckon you shoot with an SLR, not a rangefinder. On the latter, ultrafast lenses are somehow more problematic to use due to the lack of DoF preview and less accurate focusing.
