QFT. One thing I've noticed is that photographers tend to get sucked in by really great colors they found in a photograph they and have a hard time choosing an objectively better black and white version. Happens to me all the time.

And this is pretty good- I happen to think your strength is portraiture.

How is the shutter speed too slow? She's sharp, isn't she?

I do agree that the background presents a bit of a contrast problem, but that problem is more or less alleviated in black and white. It's a nice lunchtime portrait. Natural, believable.
