As for the pic itself; I think the subject is pretty cool, but the photo itself is lacking in composition and interest factor. I'm not really sure how you could improve it as a whole, but maybe some serious cropping/chopping would help. Panning around the hueg thing, I find some of the individual parts more interesting than viewing it as a whole; and the resolution clearly permits cropping. Example crop attached.
