I have a Kodak Z700, And I was wondering, Can I do inferred with it? I can access manual settings and all that good stuff. So how do you actually do it?

Either removing IR-filter, which is located in front of your sensor (won't be possible), or buying a IR filter (will work much better) and a tripod. And possibly do somekind of a hack to attach your filter easily in front of camera's lens.

What was I saying here! Of course you need IR filter in both cases. But tripod only in latter case.

>(won't be possible)

its not as hard to remove the filter as you think, ive done it myself a few times with different cameras. its just nerve racking is all..

Oh man, the pain of lining up every shot, focusing, gently screwing on that filter. I wish there was some other way.

What camera do you use? Does it flash your focus point for you?

What I do is I open both eyes at the same time. When I half press the shutter, I see the focus point sort of floating there with my eye that can actually see things. Sure, there's some parallax and lack of framing to deal with, but it's better than nothing.

Also, if you're shooting digital, just take a bunch of pictures and recompose a bit each time.

definitely possible, you can remove the filter and replace it with a IR one.

Im still trying to find the article i saw, and it actually linked to a place where you could buy the filter too... arrrghh!

If you use some film it works just fine.

its not nearly as god as a real filter though
