terrible hdr
so over the top
makes the picture look so much worse than it would have without it

also how did they take such a bad picture with a sigma 10-20?
this makes me want to cry... ;_;

I feel ashamed that it's my favorite lens :(

Not only are they retarded enough to craft such a hideous picture but they haven't a clue what they've taken a picture of (based on their confusion about its name).

When I saw it, I was wondering why someone posted a screencap from a video game.

I agree, the HDR is over the top. I mean, It works with some images, but not all of them.

Someone posted this a while ago, and I think it's an example of a good HDR.

The OP image doesn't even look like a video game, it just looks like shit.

it does look like a videogame.. looks like wolfenstein-level graphics

good HDR my ass.. looks almost no different than the middle picture.

the first pic in vincent's recent discussion of making a book of his panoramas is an example of good HDR.

When well done, HDR should be fairly subtle.
This one does a good job at picking up highlights in the sand and on the truck that wouldn't have otherwise been visible in the middle image.

This image uses HDR to improve the original in a way that doesn't make the technique the first thing you notice about the picture.

Are there better examples? Sure. But this is a good one that shows the original images and the final HDR, and doesn't go over the top with it.

The only thing worse than hdr is fake hdr.. and hitting your own dick with a hammer.
