Get a lomo. try to find an old one on ebay or something. They dont go for very much. Of course, you could get it from LOMOsociety, but it would just be more pricey.

judging by the picture on the wp-article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lomography) there's not much more clarity than the door-look hole though :/ only a wee bit clearer in the center which might be remedied if I saw off some inch of the tube...
any solution that provides clarity all around the edge? or would that require the proper use of a fish eye objective?

Yeah, if you want *good* fisheye shots, you're going to need to buy an SLR with a fisheye lens.

If your camera has a filter thread, there are some crappy little fisheye converter lenses you can screw into it, which will cost an order of magnitude less. Search for "fisheye lens converter"

(After a quick search, doesn't look like the DSC-P150 has a filter-thread option, though, so you'd have to buy a new P&S anyway)

I know the lomo isn't the clearest or cleanest picture around, but you asked for the cheapest fisheye solution, and as far as I can tell, a used LOMO fisheye at around 30 or 40 is as cheap as it gets without having to buy into a system.

That said, you could always rent a good one for a day and get your shots done, or something.

they make an interesting solution to your problem, just not in fisheye yet
