Also, I've been having problems with balancing the need for a high ISO with the whole TONS OF NOISE problem. Any tips?

the higher the ISO the less light source you have, which means you need make the aperture bigger/shutter slow to allow more light in, if its at the maximum aperture use a flash

alright. thanks! I've heard that using .RAW helps, is that true?
>> Anonymous
>>264649
Yes, but that's not really why you should use raw. It just gives you more control in general, including over how to balance the level of noise versus detail and color.

great, thanks for the advice

Other than the noise, these are great shots.

thank you :) I agree, the noise killed me. I tried my best to fix it in photoshop but there wasn't much I could do.

Not bad, but there's nothing that interesting,

The best thing about this shot is the comp, but that was not down to you, half face, wavy hair, solid colour, this is a tried and tested shot.

>>264657

Out of focus, and the pose make her stomach look huge (that and she has some ugly knees).

>>264658

Subject is off center, (i assume thats what you was trying to do), Nothing nice here, again you was trying to use a over used comp to make a shot work, and you never pulled it off.

>>264661

Just no...

Overall, the only good shot's saving feature is the fact you ganked a idea from other people, think for yourself or why bother?

Not the OP, but another n00b.
How would you do that? My camera gets TERRIBLE noise at ISO 800 and above. How would I reduce that in the image?

Well as I said, I am just starting out. Thanks for the critiques. I make no excuses, other than when I did this series yesterday I was focusing more on learning to use my camera technically, not worrying so much about making the most creative pictures ever.
