And last picture is a simple shoop. After i finished it i started to think it was overdone. Does /b/ agree or am i being over critical of myself?

Its not a D40 noob, its a D40x. The body matters not, its all about quality of glass and your eye for composition.

Why resize? Its compressed for those with horrible ISPs... Some of us like to be able to zoom in.

Get the fuck out, asshole.

Me thinks you have a horrible ISP? Are you on a limited bandwidth each month? I am too, but its limited to 250GB... So you GTFO

1. because 4chan does run off rainbows. big files cost the site money, therfore its in the rules

2. only important stuff like the screen grabed vincent guide to panoramas deserve to break the rules,

I personally prefer the shop'd version- the colors look better and the left side isn't as bright. You may want to think about rotating the crop so that the antenna of the tallest building is pointing straight up.

Holy shit. Kindly get the fuck out of /p/ and never come back.
Fuck your FULL MEGAPIXEL photos.
We don't need to see them.

I dont understand the big deal with the physical size of the images.. they were compressed to about half a MB... you can use up to 5MB, so why does it matter?

First off, its been pointed out already, but can never hurt... RESIZE FAGGOT

Right...

>>249313

Ohhhh, two buildings.... where i can't see all off either of them!! what a genius idea! Get two shitty boring subjects, that cut them in half!!!

l2composision plz, kthxbi

>>249320

Ohhhhh, the side of a bridge.... Again, poor composition, lack of a subject full stop.

>>249328

Boring as fuck..... nothing elts to say other than, YET AGAIN, shit poor composition, and lack of a recognizable subject.

>>249333
>And last picture is a simple shoop

RLY??? That was a simple shoop???

Well thank GOD you told me, as if you never, i would have though that took fucking leet skillz on photoshopz!! Thank you for explaining that to us, oh skillful and wise photographer!!!

Oh and one last thing...

>The body matters not, its all about quality of glass and your eye for composition.

AHAHAHHAHAHAHA x39534538756891365

This is digital, not film, they body DOSE matter, very much so, By your logic, we should throw out our kid and by noob ass entry level slrs?? with less controll and a much lower quality? sure...... bodys dont matter....

And whats this about glass... yes glass matters, it matters ALOT, but if you only have a piss poor body, that beautiful glass is going to be wasted, as your sensor can only pick up so much detail, because, and stop me if am going over this to many times, you have a piss poor body!!

Troll or not, GTFO

This turned into a rant, so I'll do it in parts.

As others have said, FUCKING RESIZE.

For me, it's not a bandwidth or load time issue so much as it is an image quality issue (although those are secondary factors--I sometimes browse /p/ from my phone, which can't handle really big pictures, and the bandwidth costs of 4chan itself should be taken into account). If you're uploading your shots at full resolution, the web browser gives you the choice of either viewing it at 1:1 actual pixels (which always looks like crap because all cameras look like ass when you get down to the pixel level) or viewing it resized to my screen. And I don't know about IE or Safari or anything else, but Firefox uses a fast resizing algorithm that makes images look like crap. Lots of moire effects and whatnot that make it, ironically, look pixellated even through it's throwing resolution away. It's like showing off 35mm shots and giving them the option of either looking directly at the image on the negative or looking at it billboard sized from three feet away.

So. Just fucking resize, 'kay? About 1000 pixels to a side max. You'll stop a lot of the whining and your images will look better.

(Part 2: Responding to the D40 faggotry and counterfaggotry)

>>249333
>Its not a D40 noob, its a D40x.
1. The guy to whom you're responding is trolling you. Do not feed the trolls.
2. For all intents and purposes, the D40 and D40x might as well be the same. The only real differences are a slightly different fps rates, resolution, and base ISO, none of which really matter all that much in the grand scheme of things (in b4 "I use ISO100 at 3FPS all the time!").
3. You sound like a pretentious tool. An appropriate response would've been "Yeah, I'm a poorfag" and otherwise leaving it without comment. Your comment makes you sound like you're saying "It doesn't matter that I have a low-end camera because my pictures are AMAZINGLY GOOD!" and they're really just not. Not *horrible* certainly, but not great either. Given that you're (I assume) shooting with the kit lens, I think it's safe to assume you're *not* saying that you're the greatest photographer with the greatest glass evar and that that makes up for your low-end camera body, but that's what it looks like you're saying.

>>249387
>that beautiful glass is going to be wasted, as your sensor can only pick up so much detail
And speaking of people who sound like tools...

The D40x's sensor can pick up plenty of detail. High-end glass is not wasted on it. Well, unless you want to autofocus with fast primes, but that's an argument for another day. The point is, a 10 megapixel sensor is not the limiting factor in the image quality of anyone's pictures.

(Part 3: In which I actually talk about the actual pictures rather than indulging in my bad habit of arguing with people on the Internet)

>>249313
Subject's kinda boring and the cars in the foreground are distracting. There's some people waiting for a bus way way down in the corner that might have made interesting subjects.

Unless one is an architect, most office buildings don't make particularly compelling subjects. You have to do a lot more to make them interesting than point and hit the button.

>>249320
Terrible angle. Most of your frame is dull blackness.

>>249328
>>249333
Best of the bunch. The shopped version is significantly better. However, they both look distractingly tilted. The buildings all appear to be leaning to the right.

hey op. nice work. good to see that your actually taking photos.
