OP here, how this happened was i was changing lenses outside when taking some tree shots(stupid stupid stupid!) and a huge gust of air suddenly started.

it happens dude, don't sweat it. Either take it to a decent camera store and have them clean it or google and buy one of the DIY sensor cleaning kits around.

Sage for gearthread, although almost forgivable.

Yeah i figured i'd get saged, but i was really worried for a second. i'll be looking into a kit, sadly where i live there is not camera stores. any general idea on the price of a cleaning if by some magic i do find one though?

Mirror lock up + that thing you squeeze to make air come out, forgot name

I've heard mixed reviews on those, I think sometimes it just moves the dust around, also can introduce new stuff unless it has a filter on the inlet to the bulb bit.

Probly check out POTN and other big photography forums and see wat people have had success with. As for cleaning price, Im gonna guess your in the 'states so I wouldn't have a clue.

some of the particles look like they have left an indentation, or where do the halos come from? (top left)

OP here, i took some more images like the first image and they lack the "Halos" so i dunno
