a nice break from the usual, "hey I want to buy a dslr" or "here's a picture of my retarded friend taken with my powershot"

a flyer I did for a party coming up at my house. there are 4 versions, this is but one. I removed the address, because I'm not stupid.

Are these guys and dogs shopped together or did you really stage the entire scene? If latter, this is the most professional thing I've seen on /p/.

Awesome job ps, I like that fact its at 8:14pm.

That is awesome dude!!!

thank you!! you've just given me a great idea for a poster for a friend's birthday.

Obviously i wont be doing the dog fight thing :D

It's a pretty cool picture, but a little overexposed. Some detail has been lost on the dogs and the Scrabble board. Still awesome though.

I would like to have the original picture without the text! Why?Wallpaper :D

Insanely good, Love it to the max. Has a very funky feel to it. The scrabble board and the area around it seems to be a tad overlit though, fix that in PS and you're good to go!
>> Anonymous
>>73497
is right. It is a little over exposed but other than that this is probably one of the best pictures that I have seen on /p/. You should try doing it in HDR then it would be the best ever.
>> Anonymous
>>73535

Oh my fucking god. HDR of this would make me cum all over the walls. And ceiling, for that matter.
>> Anonymous
>>73497
I do kinda agree with this guy, but OP said that this is best out of 4, so I'm assuming that the great facial expressions in this one aren't in the others. I would like to see the other three though, and this one without text.
>> pskaught
HAHA
oh man, thanks everybody, I'm off to another shoot, I'll post the original and bring back the scrabble board. Sometime tonight.

/r/ing lighting info, seems like a lot of flash, but what strobes and where?

Hay Scott, how many years have you been doing photography for?

That and recommend me some... stuff. Like, what photography tutorials/books do I need to acquire?
>> Anonymous
I am the only one who thinks this photograph is extremely well done but ultimately lacking content except for a quick one-minute joke?

It's perfectly executed, and pskaught is definitely talented (I'd say he and Heavyweather are the best photographers on /p/), don't get me wrong, but this photograph isn't much in terms of content.
>> school is for suckers. pskaught

I can't call photography my profession, its just extra income right now, I make most of my money as a camera assistant for music videos commercials and movies. nothing too big.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1910109/

Thats where I've picked up my most of my knowledge of lighting. but I guess I've been doing photography for two or three years. got my own 5D about two years ago.

I've never used any tutorials or books, so I couldn't tell you. I just kind of figure it out. I did take a photo class in high school, but all that taught me was how to develop b&w. I guess I just look at other people's work and try to figure out how they did it.

>>74075
i would have to say you are a mental dungheap, the sort of simpelton that thinks that something is not admirable because it is 'just a joke'.

i was simply pointing out the fact that in the same way this "place is always full of the same shit", your photography could be described as shit by Ranikin. Do you really think pro photographers spend their time telling other how shit they are? By equipment i also meant budget. Any amature photographer with the right equitment an vastly improve their photography.

Do you really need a pat on the back that much from /p/? Wait- they are all shit but you want /p/ to give you some sort of medal. LUVE ME /p/ I MA YOUR MAST0R

right and so the simple point is that all the "shit" photographers /p/ may very well not have the level of equipment as you to to take such pictures...e.e its very easy to buy talent.

These are easily the best photos I've seen on /p/ that show the actual skill of the photographer. Y'know, guys, if I had a 5D and a bunch of good lighting equipment, I would still take crappy pictures. pskaught at the very least has a lot of experience with the equipment and a decent eye for composition, which leads to his current level of skill. 3-4 grand of your American pesos, I assume? For a second I was like "o shi, £3-4 grand", but then I realized we're prolly thinking in different currencies. I'd consider anything up to £2000-£2500, I think.
