har. pentax has some of the best lenses in the industry, in spite of their weak lineup when compared to say canon or nikon.

Enjoy your countless subpar lens's

I take fewer. of higher quality thanks.

In all honestly, who here uses more than 2-3 lens??

Use few lenses, become very skilled in using them, learn there ins and outs, if your shoving a lens of for each situation, your not only doing it wrong, your using kit to make up for your lack of skill

I use 4 regularly.

...

I mean, I agree with your sentiment. I mostly just wanted to brag.

I don't even own more than 3 lenses in any one mount, kit lenses not included.

K100d, i love it

it's not exactly a D3, but its like a mini version, perfect starter DSLR.

18-55 Lense kit
Sigma 70-300
Really old 600mm (m42), which looks like crap but takes decent photos when mounted
And a couple of old macros and assorted lenses, cheapoe fisheye adapter, just for fun becuase they were so cheap.

Yo. At ACL today I've used a 20, 35, 50, 105, and 180. Haven't whipped out the 300 yet. I might for Beck. But 180 has been more than long enough for the photo pit. Most people are just shooting with 70-200s. I've even seen TWO E3s and 50-200s. Pretty smart kit for daytime shooting.

I feel like this thread might be a good place to ask for advice: Right now, I'm using a 400D and I really like it. It's not mine, though, and so I will eventually have to buy a camera.
I've got a pretty big collection of M42 lenses which work perfectly on the 400D. However, I have no particular reason to buy Canon, or any other brand for that matter. The only important part is that it's M42 compatible.
Does Pentax offer a camera with functionality close to the 400D?

also have Kit lens and Pentax 50/1.4

Get a used *ist D or DS, it'll take those lenses with an M42-to-K adapter, it ties the later and higher-end Kx0D series for largest crop DSLR viewfinder, and it's the only entry-level DSLR with two control dials.

any pentax body will be better and more featureful that that shit excuse for a camera.

K100D Super with the 18-55 kit lens and a 80-320 telephoto that my friend gave to me. I did borrow his 40mm prime for the longest time, though.

<3 Pentax. Until they make a full-frame DSLR I use Canon bodies for my digital needs, but more then 90% of my gear is Pentax.

Off the top of my head:

2 Spotmatics

M42 Takumars:
28/3.5
35/3.5
35/2 *
50/1.4 *
55/1.8
50/4 Macro *
100/4 Macro
105/2.8 *
135/3.5
135/2.5 *
150/3.5
200/4

Still looking for the legendary 15/3.5 rectilinear. I was close to buying the 20/4.5 but it's kind of slow. I am also considering the 300/4 at some point in the future. The lenses with stars are the ones that I like to shoot with the most.

No love for Pentax 645?

>>264468
what is the recent fetish for M42?

>>264511
I used a Pentax 645. I liked it but it seemed heavier and bulkier than my Hasselblad's so I got rid of it. Pentax 645 are a real bargain. You can buy a body in really nice condition for about $400

Pentax is so awesome they can name their budget cameras with asterisks.
