I really like this

Lol, nice. I'd stab you in the eye if I was that girl, though.

why?
>> Anonymous
>>77524

girls typically don't like to see their pores and various teenage skin blemishes blown up to poster size.

it's true.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>77524
Because the high-contrast black and white brings out every little bump and blemish and freckle on her face.

Which is one of the reasons I like the photo so much. But yeah, that sort of thing'll get you stabbed in the face.

She's too busy being in love with her eyes to worry about her skin. :P

Any suggestions on improving that stuff though?

Her eyes are certainly lovely.

To get rid of the bumps and blemishes is pretty easy in any reasonably good image manipulation program (i.e., your pirated copy of Photoshop, you filthy little Internet pirate). Clone tool ftw.

Arr. :{

Gonna try that out.
>> Santhenar
I would recommend making her face a little less shiny.

There's an excellent PS tutorial at deviantart.com named "photomanipTutorial.swf" for just this sort of thing.

I see what you did there.

Use an infrared filter if you want to completely get rid of all the freckles and imperfections. Veins might show up though, thats easier to fix though when the rest of the skin looks like porcelain.

Using an infrared filter will completely get rid of the girl, too. Unless she's patient enough to sit through a 10 second exposure :D

OP here.
10 secs, hell. I need some 120 for IR.
>> Ren Kockwell !!y74dwT8WYfm

Noob question: can't you just light IR portraits like you would a visible light portrait?

Or do regular lights not emit enough IR?

O_o

They give off the same amount of light (Suprisingly), Just the sensor blocks most of it (On an unmodified camera)

Heres a sample (repost), R72 filter on a D70s, SB-600 fired remotely at 1/2 power. (from very close, like 45cm away)

Nice. All I have right now is the onboard flash, but I'll try to get a filter and see where this goes...
