Critiques, please /p/. I'm pretty new and inherited this film camera and took a few shots. The scans came out kind of gay though, so I fixed them up a bit in photoshop.

The colors are great, I like #2 and it leaves you something to think about.

Good job. What were you using for those shots?
>> Anonymous
I used a Nikon N6006 with a 50mm f/1.4.

Aww, I left this here to soak for 2 days and I come back and I don't have any critiques :( Don't tell me they are really good or anything because I doubt they are good enough to not get any criticism. I'm here to learn. Rip me a new one, /p/~

I think the first one might look nicer if there was more empty space on the left than on the right.

I like #2, it's like the statue is saying, hey come follow me over here. Too bad it's gimped.

I'm not feeling #3, but can't really put my finger on it. Guess it's the composition.

the 50mm f1.4 is nice.

the first one if its off-center would be better. It would give a sense of direction.

Second, the model would have to be on the left side since now its just an empty space to stare at.

Third is just pointless.

Yeah, I agree with the offcenter for the first one. The only problem is that there are lights in the ground on either side of it, so I just went with a more centered shot and went with it.

Third one was actually not taken with the 50mm but a macro/zoom lens I wanted to try out. I kinda liked the feelings it gives off, but I guess that's because I know the story behind that necklace.

It was given to me by a girl that was in love with me and I was in love with her and it has our names engraved on it. Suddenly though, she broke up with me for several reasons and it was really hard for both of us for the most part. I don't know really. I just get some feeling when I look at it with the engraved part out of focus like that and whatnot. I guess it's just one of those pictures that only I can feel since you dudes don't know what I'm talking about, lol.

What do you mean by moving it to the left because there's just an empty spot now? If I moved it to the left side, then there would just be a big green mostly live bush to look at, as opposed to a big brown mostly dead bush.

For the second photo, you position yourself so that the statue is on the left side as compared to this one.
This would give an impression that the statue is looking at you or someone behind you...

You're using a F1.4 lens. Who cares about background??? Use the nice aperture!

Ah, I see what you mean. I was actually looking at it like he was walking sideways to the left and turned at the viewer, so that's probably why I didn't get what you were saying.

And about the lights, they aren't in the background, lol. They are literally right next to it about 5 inches to the left, and 7 or so to the right. I think they are actually farther forward than the statue since it's set back a little bit from the walkway, but the lights are right up against the edge.
