This is going to be very interesting, this may the biggest shake up since Nikon went FF.

The digital rangefinder has arrived.

Only if they put in a proper viewfinder, not an EVF piece of shit. And design a camera with decent ergonomics.

I wouldn't mind an affordable digital M mount full frame rangefinder, even if it is without a LCD, until then ill just keep shooting on ma voigtländer

So this is a point and shoot with interchangeable lenses and a bigger sensor? This is what I've been saying should happen.

I suppose it depends on what affordable means. For the price of my RD-1 I could've gotten a 5D, and I think those are considered affordable these days...

no idea what you are talking about but RD-1 has an aps-c 1.6 crop sensor.

I wouldn't really consider the R-1D affordable, but it's not obscenely priced either. My biggest complaint is that it has never received a significant upgrade, so it's sensor is significantly behind any DSLRs at comparable prices. I want to get one, but it's hard for me to justify paying $2000+ for a body with noticeably lower image quality than a $1500 DSLR, even if it has better ergonomics.

I really wish somebody would release an updated 10-15mp M-mount digital rangefinder for less than $3000. I would buy one immediately. Unfortunately it will probably never happen since Leica has lost all touch with reality, Voigtlander has shown no interest in a digital camera, Epson has stated they will not make another digital rangefinder, and nobody else is making modern RF cameras.
