I just recently came into some money (inheritance) that has made it so that I dont have to work anymore, so I decided to take up photography as a hobby, largely because my girlfriend and I are going to spend a few years traveling the world, whats the best camera I can buy? money is obviously no object.

There is no such thing as a "best" camera.

Best all-around DSLR would probably be the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II.

Buy an entry-level DSLR and take a few photography classes then decide what you want. The most expensive camera in the world will still give you crappy pictures if you don't know what you're doing.

Canon EOS 1Ds Mk II, along with a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM for basic zoom needs, a nice Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM for longer zooms and of course — if money is not a problem, you should get a Canon EF 1200mm f/8L.

I just ordered the Canon EOS 1Ds Mk II cost me $6,500, and although the $80,000 lens seems a bit much for a new photgrapher.

Fucking moron. You could do something constructive with your money, but instead you buy a super expensive camera that you will have no idea how to operate just because it's super expensive. May you trip and fall off a cliff while looking through your newly acquired digital penis.

Sounds too much like a troll to me.
