Couldn't find a good thread to post this in, so, well, here we are!

My lil Ricoh handles flare very interestingly... I daresay better than my Tamron 17-50 does. Is that the work of a smaller lens design, a smaller sensor, or combination of both? Either way, fucking cool.

bird? plane?

I love my Ricoh so much. It's the best thing out there.

It's got the best speed of operation of any compact camera, period. Dual wheels, with the rear wheel containing a push-in function to access other user-defined settings like ISO, quality, flash compensation, etc.

Best fucking camera ever. I use nothing but the best. Anything else isn't good enough for me. Suck it.

There can be only one weather, and his name is heavy...

The problem with your Heavyweather trolling is that you really misinterpret the things he's saying. He's really not bragging about about his equipment. He's just really excited about it all the time and wants to share that excitement with us.

To be honest, it needs a little processing to kick it over the edge. But it's not very much. Generally I just kick Blacks up anywhere from 3-10, and that cuts out the shadow noise and it starts lookin' good.

Here's the original file, out of camera.

If you're referring to the star-filter like thing going on with the Sun, Canon point and shoots do tend to do that with any point source of light, but not any non-Canon one's I've seen.

If you're referring to the weird ghosting, maybe. I can't think of a small sensor camera I've shot with that doesn't ghost a little like that.
