Can't wait. I need it for classes. :(

...Or get a D200 now and spend two or three months becoming a better photographer.

Yeah, I take your word ^_^ Thanks.

I think someone's been reading too much Ken Rockwell.

Buy a Canon 40D.

Why? If he likes the D200, let him get the D200. There's no real material advantage to one or the other except live view on the 40D, which unless he works on a tripod a lot is not worth ditching a control layout he prefers.

I'm going to check that out. Thanks.

yeah i was going to get the D200 too a few months ago, but then they just came out with the D300. so I got that one instead.
if you really only need one temporarily but can't get the one you want, maybe you should just get a really cheap one. just make sure you can use the lenses on both. or how about you borrow one?

the d200 was the best camera ever made like 2 years ago. its still a great camera. just because something better came out doesn't make it a piece of shit.

I'm kinda desperate, but I'll do a great buy. D200 is nice for 2 years of use. I live in Argentina so...buying a D200 is like buying a D300, I can't afford that one :(
