How harsh are you when it comes to your own photos? angrylittleboy !wrJcGUHncE
So let's have it.

Pic kinda related, since it's one of the few that survived the purge I did on my flickr account (but still thinking if I should delete it too).

Usually harsher than other people are (well, you know, except for you bastards here) but I tend to grow more and more fond of my shots as time goes on. Like I'll take a picture and think it's crap at first, but then I'll run across it a few months later and decide it's win.

Extremely harsh when it comes to people shots (especially at weddings) And just picky when it comes to sports.
My landscapes are pretty mediocre, I probably could narrow those down.

Anyway I always have these borderline shots that I can't decide what to do with, If I edit them I keep them and if I don't sometimes I regret it, when I need a sort of "stock photo" or sample pic or something... I don't delete them but I backup them up on DVD's, which takes a lot of work to fish out, So they usually never get seen again.

Shots like these, Are meh..

I hate most of my photos. It's why I take new ones.

Dude, you have way better stuff on your flickr. I always check out your new stuff, particularly your street portraits, and I just love it. Post some!

Not nearly hard enough in the early days - but I'm getting better at trashing the trash now.

Back when I had my first digital camera, I'd keep 8 out of the 10 shots that I had. Nowadays, it's pretty much the opposite. On average, I'd get a hundred photos in a day (digital, lol), but more than half of them gets deleted. then I'd choose 3 - 5 pics which I think are the best of the bunch and upload them. Prior to deleting some pics in flickr a couple of times, I was near the 1,000 photos mark- now there are about 90 - 100 left.

It's not that different with film. I Already had 3 rolls which I didn't post online, just kept scans of the negatives.

I guess it's inevitable that you become more critical of the photos you want other people to see as you learn more stuff. When I was starting out, my standards were pretty much "Whoah, not blurry, this is good to go". Nowadays, composition, lighting and some other stuff also gets thrown in, making it harder for random photos to be posted online.
