I like the non hdr more.
>> Liska !!LIVFOETqL8j
>>122233

Love this one. Composition is cool, colors are pretty.
>> Anonymous
Beethy, what lens was used in that first shot? I love it
>> Anonymous
The hdr looks like shit. Colors, clouds... urgh.
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>122255
>>122400
Thanks for the honesty, anon.
I had a feeling the non HDR is better since it generates a clearer and sharper picture. HDR = blurry looking.
I need to find a way to process them better..
Maybe manually with layer work or some shit

>>122402

A tripod, cable/remote release and burst mode.
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>122403
I use burst mode with AEB.. but not a cable release or a tripod

maybe I should, right?
i just hate carrying that HUEG tripod around

i like the vignette on this one. It reminds me of lomography
>> I||ICIT !!mknjFN/v/49
>>122409
yer.

would definitely be worth it!

or just not shoot HDR?
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>122477
Less HDR would probably be good.. I might buy a ND filter instead :]
>> I||ICIT !!mknjFN/v/49
>>122494
yah, could be an idea?

how bout a polariser?

would help to cut down the "haze" if your shooting long distance or inner city to cut down reflections off buildings? :S
>> Anonymous
PP fuck yea!
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>122520
I would have to take one out for a test run first... not sure if my images would benefit greatly from a polariser
>> elf_man !!DdAnyoDMfCe
>>122640
Photos like the two in this thread are exactly the kinds that polarizers can work well with.
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>122651
Elf, got any photos you've taken with a polarising filter?
This goes for anyone else too, show me! :]

One of the few I have where a building is involved.

Okay, here you go. Just a couple quick ones i scanned in. I love to overdo my polarizers, though you don't have to. I just tend to like the darker blues in my shots. They're also crazy awesome at bringing out clouds, but i don't have any samples i can give without digging into my archives :)

Somewhere between 15 & 30 bucks. I have the cheapy ones, according to everyone else, but they still work out great for me so far. I can let you know brand tomorrow if you'd like, it's too cold to run out to my car
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao

Haha thank you, and yea please tell me.
I'm going to shop around online in the meantime for one that fits a 77mm!

i guess 50+ bucks isnt bad right? (remember this is aus dollars)

Stick with Hoya or Tiffen, I've had strange issues with Opteka, Merkury and other cheap Circular polarizers (Purple tinted highlights... and it wasn't CA either)
>> thefamilyman !!rTVzm2BgTOa
>>122809
All my CPL's are Marumi, they are great without the huge price of Hoya

For water reflections, I always use this as an example. Here's the polarizer at minimal effect.

And here it is at maximum.

77mm will be on the expensive side, just because it's pretty large. I've been using the quantaray, and haven't had any problems.
