Hi /p/

I've never done any proper photography before, but I want to take it up this summer as a little hobby to pass all the spare time I'll have. I'd like to know what brand has the best digital cameras in the sub £200 range. I would ask my friends who do a lot of photography but they're travelling at the moment.

Pic is one I took in Ecuador with my dad's little Nikon. Might post more and have you guys critique if you don't mind.

Canon Powershot range is pretty good for begginners. They're a bit bulkier than other P&S, but they offer you more manual control in case you want to learn more about photography.
