composition a tad too busy; if you're going to bother to compose at tall, it should make some sense.

mostly that's subjective- they are saleable artpeices with a proper frame.

First one is a bit art-school, and the tilted frame is a bit of a distraction.

the second one appears noisier simply because its infrared which caused the negatives to have more grain but also the high contrast of it all. but i understand your prejudice against palm trees, they are often overdone without much variation

ah, you should've mentioned it was IR (I still noticed rightaway).

first photo way too messy for me. second one ok, but its a small lowres scan thats possibly not focused well enough. and your film has been fogged at the edges.
