Hey /p/

I usually don't come to this neck of the chan, but I was bored tonight so I decided to browse through here.

I'd just like to say that you guys are absolutely crazy for knowing so much about photography. And it's awesome.

If I had money, I'd get money and buy a nice camera and take cool pictures. Buy a nice camera and move the hell out of this shitty town.

So yeah, that's about all I got to say.

Pic is just one I took on my way to (or back from, I don't remember) Las Vegas in January of last year. Just a shitty < $200 camera from like... Target or something. =/

Hey. You know.. you really don't need an awesome camera to take good photos, yes, it helps, but it is not required. Subject is what matters! Also, you can get a superb camera for less than 50 USD! Check out some old film SLRs on eBay.

Photography is as expensive as you want it to be. Some people think that the only real way to shoot is with Leica (entry-level set will cost you more than 4000 USD), other people shoot with cellphones.. you decide.

Good luck! Get some books about photography, they'll help you more than an expensive camera.
