Hey /p/ I'm looking for a good digital camera from 100-200. I don't plan on doing photography as a profession, I just want something with good quality that so I have pictures to remember stuff by. Any recommendations?

I'm curious how do you develop your own photos if you don't have a dark room?

I use a developing tank and I walk into my closet to use it.

Personally I use a daylight developing tank and a changing bag.

You can jimmy a lot of it if have even the semblance of ingenuity. Besides the obvious camera equipment the only things you really ought to buy is one of this little film developing tanks. Sure you could make one, but they're so cheap.

Though color at home is a bit trickier.

Assuming you're not underage b& you could go to your college's darkroom and use theirs.

Yeah I wouldn't be able to have my own darkroom or tank. I don't have that kind of room or time... Ehh are there any decent P&S cameras or should I just give up and go get a nice disposable one from rite-aid

My developing tank is smaller than a water bottle. If you don't have the room for that then I'd suggest moving out of your mother's basement.

Not OP here but don't you need chemicals and to monitor the temperature and time and all that? It seems like you could fuck up and ruin the film pretty easily if you're inexperienced.

I use:

$1 rectal thermometer, and a $1 wristwatch. You can get all of the chemicals for under $15 either online or at your local camera shop.

If you want to learn how to swim you're gonna have to put your head under the water. You might swallow some water but you'll learn from your mistakes.

This may seem crazy to some of you, but broke people were able to take photos before digital cameras were invented.

Blacked-out bathroom FTW. Running water, space to set stuff down, light safe. You only need total darkness to load your film into the dev tank, after that you're allowed to see.
