The Olympus is small, but far from being discreet or pocketable. I sometimes use an E-410 with a pancake lens as my walk-around camera, but it somehow doesn't feel like a decent compromise between a full-sized SLR and a pocket camera.
The G9, which I also have, is small enough and still has almost every option imaginable, but feels awkward after you've became used to DSLR viewfinders, responsiveness and image quality.
Sigma DP1 is just vastly overpriced. It has an inferior sensor and lens compared to the Olympus, lacks zoom and IS compared to Canon, and yet costs not much less than both of them combined.
