OP: It's hard to say without knowing what you mostly shoot and what your style is. Most people would get the most mileage out of the 35/2; it's hard to go wrong with a normal prime. I'd suggest looking at a 28mm instead, though, either f/2.8 or f/1.8... 35mm on Canon EF-S is sort of long for a normal, at least to me and I think for most people.
