Beethy, is that you?!
>> Anonymous
Very nice, how come so much grain at 800 on ff?
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
Needs more DoF or less noisedestroyed bokeh.
>> Anonymous
CA on the lettering of her shirt?
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
i like the feel, but the expression of the model doesn't work
noise doesn't really bother me at all, all it needs is a good resize
>> Jeremo !iKGMr61IHM
>>125166

certainly looks like it...

why the hell is there so much grain?

did you push the raw up?
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>125175
yea i think it's likely the original was heavily underexposed
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
Why can't I judge the amount of noise? I was going to judge it to be nice...

Looks like a clothing ad, for better or for worse.
>> elf_man !!DdAnyoDMfCe
>>125191
I agree, makes me think of a nice clothes ad. Except for the CA. But the noise actually looks pretty nice here, although it'd be best to remove it for ad work, I'm thinking.

>>125158

You probably shouldn't have taken a shot at 1/6400sec at 800 iso. If you've got that much light why didn't you go down to 100? you'd still be in the 1/triple digits.
>> Anonymous
>>125175
CA on an L prime? That's really weird.
>> Anonymous
>>125158
>>125207

Very true.
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
OP owns a FUCKING AWESOME LENS

i want!
>> Anonymous
>>125214
Too bad he doesn't know how to use his camera.
>> Anonymous
>>125209
maybe he had a piece of shit UV filter on the lens or something
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao
>>125215
so he made a whoop by using EXTREM SHUTTER SPEED
it still resulted in a pretty nice photo :]
>> Anonymous
Great pic I think, apart from the noise, yes.

Get rid of the noise next time and you'll get there.
>> Anonymous
>>125218

EXTREEEEMEEEE SHUTTER SPEED! LOL!
>> Anonymous
>>125158

I like it. The model is pretty, the pose it good.

I have many things to say about the noise, but won't.
>> Anonymous
>>125158
Yeah only complaint is noise, otherwise, excellent.
>> Anonymous
>>125158
The only thing that really bothers me is the huge "FITCH" across her shirt. It really breaks up the line of the jacket leading to her face. Try clonestamping it out or something, and for later shoots, having less visually intrusive clothes on your model.
>> Chunky
Looks like it's advertising the FITCH
>> Anonymous
Noise and CA was a combination of me not removing original noise and being overzealous on the sharpening. I did 3 passes of sharpening.

And I didn't select the shutter speed myself.

And unlike some people, my vignetting is genuine.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Actually, that's not CA, that's how the lettering is.

Original is here.
>> Anonymous
>>125258
How the hell is it possible to get that much vignetting on a 50mm 1.2L prime?

Learn to use your camera and select the shutter speed yourself.
>> Jeremo !iKGMr61IHM
>>125261

Hint: Post Processing.

The colours on the photo are PP too.

>>125264

He said "And unlike some people, my vignetting is genuine."

>>125261How the hell is it possible to get that much vignetting on a 50mm 1.2L prime?

Uh, I was shooting wide open. My 5D is full frame. That's vignetting for you.

Because being on Av makes my photo less nice. Okay.

....Ok, here is your critique. Don't ever use photoshop. You ruined a good photo by thinking you were making it better.

OP I rather like the original version better.

Oh, well. Less Photoshop from now on I guess.

I just find the original too flat.

what the jesus did you do to it?
>> beethy !HJGkSBB3Ao

very nice! :]

The original just needs a little sharpening and a minor contrast boost if you're worried about it being too flat.

Took it to the butcher shop.

lol Av mode lol

>>125284

It's still a 1.2. I can go to 2.0 and it's gone. But I like it.

Less head space and more ground would have been nice. Her heel was cut off.

Just stick to whatever is in adobe raw. Especially curves. The sharpening just didnt work.

Thought I'd improve the pic with a few quick post processing corrections, OP.

Heh, my abortion from Photoshop aside, apparently on /p/ if you own better equipment than someone else, it's automatically a waste. Gotcha.
