I got a hold of a gift certificate at Circuit City (283.99). So I'm looking to spend around that (no more than 350 give or take a few). I'm not asking what camcorder I should buy specificly, but what format? MiniDV, HDD, or DVD?The pourpose of this camera is mainly outdoors, I would take it to car shows and races and just filming random things , So it may be dealing with low light situations.My editing software would include final cut and adobe premier.What format should I buy /p/? I included a price range just in case it influences my format for my price range. So whatever format it is, most likely would be getting rerecorded over and over again.Pic not specifically related.
Cinematography =/= Photography.
>>158030What, you think /tv/ would have better answers?(Unfortunately, I don't have them. But a few people on here know more than a little bit about cine, it seems, and pskaught went to film school and works as a 1 AC.)
id gomini dv tapes are cheap and good storageDVD drops the quality (more compression)HDD often expensive for decent sizes
