I took most of these shots while learning my wife to photo. ISO800, while too grainy for blowing up photos, can become necessary with some of the crappy lenses (17-55 kit lense). The lemur, and monkey ISO's were due to negligence (the 70-300 IS USM they were shot with could have done the same at ISO200)

I disagree, in the amount of time that I would have normally spent at an exhibit I was able to take usually 1 noteworthy photo. Of the 40 or so exhibits at the zoo (15° weather and a cold wife) I came away with 30 "good" shots (150 total).
