Heya /p/

Studio photog here, unfortunately I'm not taught anything that isn't approved as 'standard posing' by my company.

I'm hoping someone can tell me the best way to use a fan in a studio to get the 'blowing, flowing' hair to work with women? any attempt I make either really produces no visual results or makes the hair look more like its in a windstorm.

Does the size of the fan matter? Is it better to have a larger fan spinning at lower RPM or something?

Any help would be awesome.

Pic unrelated, studio testshot that doesn't justify the $1300 camera used for it.

A larger fan generates more wind than a smaller one. What's complicated about that? Just take a sheet of cardboard and have someone wave it around.

not the best example, but pic related

Thanks. Really I didn't know if it there was a trick to it or if it was just obvious. Our test studio at corporate has some fancy windmaker that produces perfect results, looks like a jet engine and produces a soft, perfectly directed breeze.
