Hey /p/, quick extension tube related question. I generally use a Nikon PK-13 27.5mm extension tube coupled with a 50mm f/1.8. Since it's a non AI extension tube, what should I input the lens data as? Should I just keep it as 50mm, or should I enter the closest thing to 77.5mm? Does it even matter?EXIF data available. it should be 77.5 with crop factorso 116.25mm
The camera corrects for that itself. If you look in EXIF, it'll say 35mm equivalent, so I'm guessing I shouldn't have to adjust for crop factor.
>>225279no, you don't know what you're talking about
>>225281Thanks for stating the obvious, jackass. Of course I don't, that's why I'm asking. So is that a "no, I don't have to add the extension tube focal length" or a "no, you need to correct for crop factor."
i'm just fucking with you manwhy do you need to input the lens focal length in anythingyou mount the ext tube on, you mount the lens on it, what's the problemthe camera doesn't give a fuck what you mounted on it unless you're trying to meter
>>225285Metering is something I enjoy having. For all practical purposes, I've gotten fine results using 50mm as my lens data, but there have been a few times where I've gotten oddly exposed images. Coulda just been my lighting though.
