Oh, and I know I should have used a higher f-stop and longer exposure. Wasn't thinking about it at the time. What a shame.

How the heck did you get that kind of shot at 1/3000?
>> Czechnmymail
An open aperture and a lot of faith in my camera. ^^

Looks like an HDR to me. So I don't know about that.

HDR's have multiple images so no exif info.
Also this is a sillhouette nowhere near what HDR's are supposed to achieve which is a "high dynamic range" Aka the sillhoutted trees would still have detail.

So no its not an HDR at all
And the pic is fine, you could have stopped down for a bit better image quality but really it turned out fine.

very bright days i use 1/6000 if i'm taking a picture of the sun directly

HDR doesn't mean the image doesn't have any EXIF info, unless you start off of a clean image. If you open up an image in say, Photoshop, and edit on an existing image and save it as JPEG without doing a web export, it still retains the EXIF, even if you'd draw cocks allover the image.

what about this looks like hdr to you?

(not trolling, actually curious)

the sky looks sort of HDR, but HDR photos don't have shilouettes [prove me wrong!].

I shot this Sunday Evening, with my brand-new DSLR Olympus E-500, on sunset program mode. I still have to figure out all the menu's.

There's a sunset mode on a DSLR?

Yes, there is. It brings up all the warm tones. Looks pretty sweet, if you ask me.

Here's another one from that day. I was fooling around with a couple settings, and ended up with this shot of the sun setting.
