Ok, /p/. This was shot in my living room using cheap home depot clip lights. It's one of the shots for an assignment where we have to shoot an album cover for an imaginary band. I played with the split toning feature in CS3 Camera raw after converting it to grayscale. What do you think?

I also had to shoot it with a Hasselblad in black and white which will be what I turn in but I don't have the negs scanned yet.

I like it. It looks like a possible Xiu Xiu album cover.

Iron that fucking sheet

it looks like 2 white masks from a craft store on drum stands, no?

bad: it's a rectangle, not a square (a crop will look better because of the rather disturbing shadows in the right bottom corner)
good: the picture overall. i can imagine this being ona cover

Very close. The masks are Halloween masks.

It's aight, I'd do a bit of shooping around the edge of the masks (where the elastics were held). I also don't like how the mouth of the mask on the right is obstructed so either make it all dark or all light. Also iron the sheet or shop it smooth like anon above said.

I made it less gay. still gay but more lame bandy.

OP here. Here's another of the possible shots for the assignment, wrinkled sheet and all. What do you think?

I guess it would help if I actually uploaded the image.

i think the wrinkled sheet adds to the overall shot. gives it texture behind the masks, although an ironed sheet may give the appearance of the masks floating, which would be equally cool

I'm really digging this. Less boring than the first one and the warm tones make it more interesting than the blad shot.
