Im looking for a good tripod for under $200... Its for video, not photography so it needs to be smooth, and the camera is 5 or 6 lbs. so it cant be flimsy... then one i had started falling apart and i have no idea why.

Manfrotto is what I recommend. Great pans, no problems, very affordable. Get the 501 head.

i have a head with built in slow moition pan gears for my 1000mm maksutov cassegrain catipotric lens. something like that would make your pans and tilts look smooth and awesome.
not an expensive piece, it attaches between the head and the lens

SLIK is as good as Manfrotto, but cheaper.
