What's the mounted lens? I see a 70-200VR and what looks like a 50 1.8 or 1.4, and an SB-800. Also, wtf velbon tripod?
>> Shu
Something wrong with Velbon?
>> Anonymous
>>269854
Well done mr, the mounted lens is a 17-55 2.8
Velbon is pretty nice, not too expencive and hold my d300+mbd10,70-200,sb800 perfectly 8)

Oh wow, that thing's a beast of a lens. Probably what I'd replace my 24-85 2.8D with if I really felt like I needed a new lens. I gotta get a wide angle (12-24, maybe?) and a tele (Probably 80-200D, can't afford the 70-200VR, sadly...) first...

Ide recommend 14-24 2.8, i owned it for a short time till i changed it to this 70-200(didnt use that much wideangle). The 14-24 is the real nikon beast, sharper than any lens ive owned and build quality is topnotch. Only downpart is you cant put a regular filter on it 8)

Wish I could spring for one, but it doesn't make sense on my DX-format D2X. Aside from price, the extra few mm, and the smaller size and weight of the 12-24 are a big deal, considering how overloaded I am these days. I'm already stuffing the D2, two strobes, the 24-85 and a 50mm, whichever 200mm zoom I go for, plus a laptop with cables and a little tablet into a bag that has to fit into carry-on limits for little commuter planes when I'm going all over the place to shoot, the less bulk I have to deal with, the better.

I don't plan on switching to FX all that soon, because I'm mostly shooting motorsports for serious work and the crop factor actually helps me out there.

These are quite nice. I am not fond of the frames though. They do not add anything to the picture. Better to leave them naked, so to speak.

nice photos, but please don't mess about with the frame faggotry.

...agreed.

Not only that, but a kit lens looks as good at f/9.
