Usually people say "in b4" for something people always say. I rarely see that as a response to someone wanting to shoot film.

Just saying.

And get an Olympus OM-1.

I have a Nikon F401.
First AF camera by Nikon as far as I know.
Basics are present: Shutter speed dial and Aperture dial, both fitted with an automatic choice (like 1,2,..50,100, A)
Works like a charm.

Nikon Fx. Manual focus ones should be cheap. The F4 probably still is pretty expensive because it has an autofocus motor so fast it's known to rip apart the bits of shoddily built lenses.

I don't get why people would go for a sub-professional old manual focus film camera. The top of the line professionals ones are cheap enough now for most everybody.

(And no, I don't mean in the "when you're a professional you need to hammer nails and buy Nikon" way. I mean any make of old pro SLR, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax, whatever.)

If you don't mind manual focus, you can find the old Nikon F cameras online for like $50. Amazingly well built camera, and what I learned to shoot on. Make sure you find one with a working light meter, though, unless you have your own.

I'm surprised no one mentions Pentax K1000 in the subject of cheap, used film SLRs. Don't get one, BTW. Cloth shutter.
