Not a lot of people are clambering to use EF-S lenses on full frame cameras. They basically just exist so that APS-C people can have wide angles. Full frame cameras have wide angles the normal way. Canon has always made it pretty clear that EF-S != Pro (to the point that there are EF-S lenses that are as high quality as L lenses in every way but don't get to have the L designation because they're EF-S).
With Nikon, it was a little bit different since for a long time it didn't look like they were ever going to come out with a full frame body, so more people invested more heavily in DX lenses for their at-the-time pro D1 and D2-series bodies.
