For nature the area is simply amazing. The location is a rather nice valley surrounded on 3 sides by mountains and filled with coniferous trees and large groves aspen. The aspen are free of elk scarring so they are particularly fine. Also a stream runs the length of the valley, with a it's source being snow and a pond at the top end of the valley.
The only reason I didn't go nuts is because the area was not in as good form as it could have been, so I refrained from shooting. The sky was blank and the ground with partial snow cover, not ideal conditions for landscape work.
Wildlife wise I didn't evidence of much, but I did find a considerable amount of what I think to be pine martin tracks.
For the buildings I need to bring props as I mentioned to make some decently creepy shots. I was thinking hands would be a good focus, but we'll see when I hit the antique shops. If I could find someone to lend me their little sister, there's a few really creepy shots could be made with a little girl.
If the area has decent clouds this weekend I'll be going again.
