So uhh, I finally started parsing through my piles of photographs from last summer. Here's one from my trip to Tokyo, taken at Yoyogi park.

Shot using Canon EOS 350D and a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC EX lens. I'll probably post some more in this thread later on.

I like this a lot ! But I think it could look even better without vignetting.

> I'll probably post some more
Yes, please do so.

Yes. Please post more. I'm likin' the composition in this shot, aside from the little girl's facial expression. I wish I could go on vacation and just take photographs like these.

I really like this picture. If you have any more like this please post them. Thanks

vignetting for the win!

stupid girl >_>
But the picture rocks. Dark trees, cold floor are a nice contrast to the people.

if you didn't want the vignetting (maybe you want it for an artistic effect?) you could up ur ISO to 200 and stop down on aperature.

I definitely like the vignetting. Contributes to the roundness of the bridge and emphasizes the isolation of the people in two ways!

Thansk for the comments <3

I did add the vignetting mostly to cut out some detail from the background, and to separate the bridge a bit from the rest of the photo. Some other things done to the picture was to make the greens a bit darker and making the pink tones a bit more vivid, since the girl and the dad were obviously the main point in the shot. This was unfortunately one of the "one-of-a-kind"-type of shots where everything just felt like the pieces just came together.

But, here's another one. Taken on the same trip, but in the Imperial Park in Kyoto. Some wild cats were wandering around...

I think this picture would look better if there was just a few more space for the sky. The people are taking too much space.

The colors and lights are awesome, though. I feel warm and fuzzy looking at that picture. <3

This one could make a nice creepy picture if there wwere no people there, heh.
Looks like I'm the only one who likes the girl's expression... it gives the picture a nice touch. I think it would have looked boring otherwise.

There is that natural innocence and curiosity on the girl's face, which I think that is a bit emphasized with the dad in the picture, along with the umbrella.

Here's another one which I thought came out well, while we're on the subject of children.
