I've got some sort of crazy need to take these photos that play around with light.

Can someone suggest some things that I should try to help me get over this? I'm just using a point and shoot, and this isn't worth getting a camera with more features, so simple ideas would be nice.

Or, alternatively, just look at the pictures I took.

In before you tear me a new butt hole.

I guess if you got drunk, drove a car and crashed into a lamp post, rendering you crippled or possibly brain damaged for the rest of your life you'd get over it quickly due to new and more important concerns.

If you want something fun to play with then you could try swinging the light on the end of a string like a pendulum. It's an old idea, but you might like some of the patterns. You could also do the usual drawing, etc.

Lol, thanks. I know how overdone these photos must be, but it's a little consuming. I should probably just get some different colored lights and mess around with those( which I tried with red, white, and blue, but the red was hardly visible, and the blue still kind of overpowered everything else).

Ideas:

Do something recognizable instead of just scribbles.

Use a slow-sync flash so you get the light drawing and also a sharp subject.

Do it with fire and a hot chick rather than flashlights and your ugly self.
