boring photo is boring

your photo lacks composition, focus, or in the very least something intersting to look at.

obviously shot in point and shoot mode because of the large patches of blown out white. point shot sets your camera to create middle grey so in photos with very bright whites you have to meter it down.

photo needs decent saturation as well

"Exposure Time 1/30 sec" lol i bet you didnt use a tripod or something to steady the camera with for this

stop what you are doing, go to your library and fucking read a book on photography before you complete lack of understanding of how to use your camera causes to me actually lol on my rather untidy floor

also lol for deleting OMFG THEY HATE MY PHOTO THREAD

HOLYSHIT?!?!?!?!?!

If you can't handhold a camera at 1/30th, you have a problem. Especially if it's a little point-and-shoot, as I'm guessing the camera used to take the photograph was.

can you? yes you can. should you? no

notice how his photo lacks sharpness?

this is from 2 things, one is noise, the other is they he used a long shutter speed.

you shouldn't be shooting below 1/125 without at least a monopod (which also makes an excellent walking stick for hiking). Otherwise your image sharpness will suck as what happened here.

well if its a point and shoot thats zoomed in all the way to 6.20mm its probably actually more like 50mm equiv or something like that, so yeah, 1/30 would be harder to handhold.

Fucking wimps, with good technique 1/30 of a second is easy. Take your monopod and shove it up your ass. The picture does suck pretty bad though.

>>48701here, totally agreed. So long as one doesn't have Parkinson's or never learned shooting technqiue, 1/30th of a second can and should certainly be handheld.
>> slim !yE5LOsLjxQ
i've done good handheld shots at 1 and 2 second exposures. it takes me a few tries most of the time but thats why there's a 'delete' function on digital cameras.

i usually don't worry about steadying the camera until i'm using 1/8 sec or faster. then again i have IS.

Seriously, do you have Parkinsons?

The standard rule is 1/[35mm-equiv focal length] seconds is handholdable.

With an Olympus FE110, the 6.2mm he was shooting at is a 38mm equivalent. Easily handholdable. I've gotten sharp images at 1/30th using my 50mm lens, which is the equivalent of about an 80mm lens on my Digital Rebel.

If you can't get clean shots at anything less than 1/125th without a tripod or a monopod, you seriously need to work on your technique, get some medication for your condition, or drink way the fuck less coffee.

I don't believe it either
