another "i need advice" thread Anonymous
dear /p/,

i hate to add another "help me buy a camera" thread, but i'm adding some of my own pictures to make this thread more legit.

i have a sony dsc-h1 and want to move up to a dslr. i am pretty set on getting a nikon d50 or d70s and i have around $700-800 to spend, or a little more. i think the d50 will do everything i want, but i'm planning on getting the 18-70mm lens that normally comes with the d70 instead of the 17-55 kit lens of the d50. i don't think i'll miss the advanced flash features of the d70 or the 2nd commmand dial. besides pictures of my cats, i like to take long exposures at night and lightning pictures. is there anything on the d70 that would make that camera a better choice for me? how easy is it to use the bulb setting on the d50 vs d70? does the ability to have a wired remote make that much difference over the wireless one that the d50 has?

thanks for your time. i submit to you a few pictures.
