I don't' like artsy people pictures. Not to mention she doesn't follow the rule of thirds in a lot of her photos. I will say that she's good at getting consistent colors and sharpness

Rule of thirds?

How to Fail in three easy steps:
1. Learn Rule of Thirds
2. Decide that the "Rule" in the name means that it must be slavishly followed in every picture you take.
3. Fail

however usually a centered subject only serves to make the image boring

Certainly true. And looking through immacule's deviantart page makes me agree that she's not that great. However, "she doesn't follow the rule of thirds in a lot of her photos" is about as good a criticism as "she uses the color green in a lot of her photos."

I.e., it's no sort of criticism at all.

I'll give you that, I think I have more against her general style then actual qualms with her photography. But the compositions of the images arn't that great.

Something positive though would be that she poses people well.

the rule of thirds is probably the most regurgitated, yet most useless suggestion that everyone loves to spout. these are all vertical amateur fashion photos, using the rule of thirds on these as they are would just look dumb. theres so much more than just composition to make photos interesting, and i honestly dont know why perfect symmetry cant be just as interesting. ask yourself "why would this be more interesting or aesthetically pleasing if the subject was a little off to the side" and try to come up with an answer that doesnt have to do with pleasing other photographers.

She's an obnoxious camwhore, insanely vain, and most of her stuff is annoying shit. But some of it's alright, and it's certainly above the median quality posted here. But I want to cuntpunt the subject matter, because I've dated a bitch just like that. Fuuuck them.

[I take the time to deconstruct this girl's photo and it gets deleted for speaking the truth? Good thing I saved it.]

oh yes, she is quite amazing. I've never seen one of those goth photos that focus on "cute" platform shoes and striped knee-high stockings. Also, the box, almost drawing on the idea of the abandoned kitten in the box text-art, which I'm sure many 4channers are familiar with. Cute and abandoned. No, seriously, this is the epiphany of originality.

Also, the absolute lack of any thought that went into lighting adjustments is simply stunning. The only words I can think of describing it is "bland" and "blah." We don't need no shadows, just flick on the halogen fixtures in the ceiling and we're good to go.

The walls blankness and lack of anything interesting [shadows, texture, something] is an astoundingly realistic glimpse into the mind of the photographer. Also, sticking the subject in the center of the photo, nearly completely disregarding the rule of thirds shows how unconventional she is to photogenic "norms" practiced by most professional photographers.

Note the lack of color scheme, how even the socks, the main focus of the photo are nearly just a bland as the rest of the photo. Textureless, too. Not even the floor or the wall contains a noticeable amount of texture difference to contrast with the socks.

Thank god this amazing photographer used a watermark, or else I probably would've stolen this masterpiece and tried to pass it off as my own.
