1. Go to Photosynth.net
2. Install plugin
3. Create Synths

Photosynth basically 'stitches' together shots taken in the same location.
I uploaded my last panorama stuff there and it's pretty trippy.

Vincent, do this now.. I want to see your panorama work on Photosynth. It's a very different experience.

ITT post links to your synths.

Also it sounds cool but in reality it sucks balls.

Unfortunately, it does suck balls
I tried with what I figured would be an easy one for the program to stitch, However it failed miserably.
Also doesn't work very well with ultrawides, its more for people with P&S's that can't go wide enough to fit it all in, Then they get amazed at how much like "real life" it looks.

Also, I edit AFTER the stitching, so all my pano's would look really RAW uploaded this way.

This things fucking awesome, I've been waiting like 2 years for it to come out. Fucking yes.

ferraris suck balls because they dont fit 9 kids

photosynth is amazing technology, and if you were expecting it to stitch your panoramas for print you were expecting the wrong thing. look at the early seadragon demo video on youtube or the boy sitting on his lawn and photographed from all angles which dynamically makes a 3d model of himself.

this is groundbreaking stuff. 3d modeling can be done with a camera, meaning things like the light source of the photographed subject can be moved realistically in a photoeditor, the seadragon engine can zoom terabyte large photos on a pentium 4 computer like it is nothing... this technology is going to permeate a lot of what you use in the future, even if you dont see its potential yet.

from the demo's i watched, I was not impressed.
However the cool part of the application would be actually moving from the same spot and taking numerous pictures. Which isn't something I do

Also it runs slow as hell on my comp, maybe its the settings but it moves picture to picture in a slow fade out / in, and doesn't render anything else thats not on the same 2d plane as the selected photo.

Hold on, I just watched the entire Yosemite hangliding one, If you skip through it before it loads detail you get a 3d feeling to it.
"." = forward "," = back
use those quickly and it makes everything seem better

Trying with my lake louise pics right now, Since I took soo many there.
