Dear /p/.
I usually photograph with my point&shoot, but I also have a large set of regular SLR film camera's, including a set of about 4/5 lenses.
Is it possible, and how expensive would it be, to buy a decent dSLR, but only the body? That way I could just use my old lenses.

Picture unrelated.

Trivial. That's the whole point of an SLR system. The body-only versions are usually about $100 less than the kit-lens version.

Make sure you buy a body that can use your film lenses, though. Just about every manufacturer uses (and used) its own proprietary lens mounts, and some (Canon, Minolta) switched to completely incompatible mounts along the way. Others (Nikon) continually switch to mildly incompatible mounts as they went along.

So what are these digital SLRs and lenses you've got?

Buy a dSLR by the same manufacturer as your SLR film camera. This will allow you to interchange the lenses (although maybe with some limitations).

No further advice until you provide us more info, at least the brand of your cameras and lenses.

The SLR I used is a Pentax SF7, the lenses are either Sigma, Pentax, or Vivitar, and all fit on the SF7.

Definitely upgrade to a Pentax DSLR, then. I understand they have absolute backwards compatibility, besides having IS built into the body and generally win across the system.

Not entirely absolute. You're good if they're Pentax lenses, but I've heard some horror stories about really old third-party lenses getting stuck on modern, AF-capable Pentax bodies.

Was this about the guy who had to saw off the Ricoh lens he bought at a pawnshop?

Well, the third party lenses I have are not really old, so.. Still, how many would a good dslr cost me when I only buy the body? Looking for something around 5m?

5m = $5 million? Lol.

Anyway, just look up the prices for Pentax K10D, K100D and K110D bodies on the internet. That's basically what your choice is limited to.
