not yet, I don't own anything for the mount. I haven't made up my mind whether to keep it and buy some lenses for it or to turn it.

what did you pay for just the camera? was shipping at least free?

shipping was $9.36, camera was $210. Seller bought it at an estate sale, didn't research what it was worth and didn't list it well.

Link the completed auction? I find it really unlikely that a horde of people (like you) knowing its true value didn't descend onto the auction and jack the price up.

Yeah right, because now that there is no more internets nobody know what the fuck they're selling. Enjoy your brick being shipped.

a fake is way more likely than a brick. You really have to be careful on eBay with Leicas, especially older ones. If it's from anywhere in Eastern Europe, you're almost guaranteed to actually be getting a Fed or a Zorki.

There aren't many fake M6s though that I know of, because the Feds and Zorkis didn't make it to that level.

Fed and zorki are soviet copies of Leica II. It is also my understanding that there were no Leica M fakes made, at least not in the scale that soviets copied the original Leica.

OP should however have checked serial number of that leica M6 befora bidding anything on it.

My guess is that OP is a troll or got sold some fake shit. There is no way that one could acquire real Leica M6 for $210

I was referring to actual Leica II copies, modified from Feds and Zorkis, but yes, none of the Soviet cameras ever made it along the lines long enough to evolve into an M copy

The only Leica M copies I've seen are badly repainted Fed-5's, which look nothing like any Leica so if OP bought one ahahahaahahahahah

Yeah he's probably trolling.
