What does /p/ think?

Vignette is a little too heavy, the sky is distractingly light, and the foreground is underexposed for my tastes. So much so in fact, that you can't discern the car from the tarmac at first glance. Surely the car needs to be distinct, as it is the main focal point.

That said, I can definitely see where you are going with the shot, it just needs a little more work.

I disagree, the bright(yet not overexposed)sky creates a good balance between it and the foreground. The plane however, this makes my eye wander aimlessly trying to find a focal point. (though distracting, it has a point being there) A solution to it might of been lower the DOF just enough to tell what it is, but not have it be distracting.

I think the vignetting makes it a better photo. I like it.

IMO the sky is washed out- maybe if it was a more blue sky and the subject wasn't actually underexposed ....

I think anon makes an extremely good point about looking for a focal point. I sat for about 2 seconds (very long time) trying to figure what this photo was about.

Now, if you had the plane and car evenly split with the background completely devoid of things (ie desert) that would have been an A+ photo, something a car company would use.

Great photo if you're trying to sell a car or pass a graphic design class. The vignetting is a little heavy and the sky is a little boring but they both look good. It's definately good enough to get in some sleazy ad for a magazine, with a little more airbrush polish.

I think we need a higher resolution version of these to really evaluate it.

I don't know what godzilla monitors people have but 1200 fills up my screen well enough. Are people using these full res photos to study pixel by pixel minutia?

I agree. In fact, I think it's oversized. I always hate it when I can't look at the whole thing at once without browser re-sizing.
