I'm new to using photoshop and I was wondering what menu I have to use to cut a particular part of an image out of the original. I'm using photoshop 7 if that makes a difference.

Are you trying to crop?

I am. I'm trying just to get the flower out of the image I posted.

If it were me, I'd use magnetic lasso. Or try magic eraser on high tolerance, see what happens, and go from there.

If you want precise, intensive work, switch to quick mask mode and edit a selection to your liking. Invert if needed, then delete/cut/copy/whatever.

Thank you for the help!

One more question. How do I save what I lassoed to make it its own file without the background and everything else?
>> Anonymous
In other words, how do I actually save what I lassoed by itself, without the rest of the original image.

OP is way too stupid to be using computers.
If you have trouble with shit that's this basic then you need to just buy a fucking Photoshop book.
There's no way that we can explain this basic of a level of thing to you.

It's like... It's almost like you came on here and asked us >"What it mean to 'click' a mouse?"

If they got pen tool in PS7 i would use that and change the path into a selection, it will be alot easier than using the magnetic lasso on ur image.
