What does /p/ think of SensorSwab? My sensor's filthy with dirt (really, really filthy) and I need to get it cleaned, so I'm debating between buying some swabs and some E2 (I have a Rebel XTi), which is fairly expensive because of the swabs, but at least gets me a few cleanings, or taking it to a shop.
There is a shop near me, but it's pretty old and I get the feeling it deals more with film than digital cameras, although that's just going by what's in the window.

At any rate, what's /p/'s opinion on this stuff? Does it work well, is it worth the price?

Gotta love that "Dust eradication system" on the XTi, eh? :)

Haha, yea. It makes funny noises when I turn it on, but the dust is still there D:

Is it there at normal apertures? The dust on my XTi's sensor only starts being visible at all at around f/9, and only visible in normal photos at around f/16. The easy and safe solution might just be "Shoot at lower apertures"

I recommended Sensor Swab in that other dirt topic for your XTi and it really does work. It's nerve wracking actually touching your sensor with something, but it cleans up dust really, really well. I probably got 98% of the dust I had accumulated off my sensor.

This is what my photos used to look like before.

If you clean your sensor every now and then instead of letting it accumulate...you win!
