Focus Anonymous
taking photos is a bit of a hobby for me, I have a eye for a good shot, angle, lighting and everything else, when it comes to landscapes, but I'm having a bit of trouble when it comes to taking pictures of people. I'm not sure if its me, or the camera. (Currently i use a AE-1 35mm), I bring my object into focus, but when I get the film developed, most of the time, it comes out out of focus.

Any suggestions for how to help when it comes to taking pictures of people would be appreciated. (They are posing and standing still for me.)

Picture is something I took a few years back.

I hope pic not related.

Your lens may be backfocusing, which would hide itself in the high apertures of landscapes. Print yourself out a focusing chart and figure it out.

Manual focus lenses backfocus too, either by not focusing to the point indicated on their scale, or by not focusing when correct focus is indicated in the finder (happens in rangefinders, unlikely with an SLR like OP's)

But probably OP either sucks with manual focus or isn't aware of how small his DOF is with a wide open standard lens like would probably be on a camera like this.

Protip: things don't come "out of focus" during the development process. Either they were or they weren't before development.
