Hey /p/,

I have recently been given a prototype Canon SLR backpack.
It's full of win and awesome and I want to share photos of it and stuff... but how safe is this?
Will the person that gave me this bag get fired over it?

Here's a description I wrote up earlier.

It's a pretty hefty backpack. It's around the size of your hips to your neck.
It has 2 clipon traps that can go around your chest and your waist for extra sturdy-ness. These traps are both adjustable.
The back is black on the outside with the Canon logo near the top. On the inside it's all orange.

On one of the shoulder straps there's a little pouch which looks like it could fit a mobile phone.
On one of the sides it has a little area which has a protective rain cover in it.

Now lets talk about the inside of the backpack..
When you open it there's 2 flaps. The first flap has a mesh area in which you can fit all your AA batteries and dSLR batteries.
The middle flap has 2 main pouches.. one small and one big. Looks like room for your CF cards. In between the pouches there are little flat storage areas for your business cards (similar to where you put your cards in your wallet). Above that there's 2 areas which fit pens.

Once you move that 2nd flap over there's the main area of the bag. This whole area is entirely customisable with segments which attach with very very sturdy velcro. All the segments are very thick and sturdy.
The middle fits your dSLR which could have a very long lens attached as it goes all the way to the top of the bag.
On the sides of that there are 3 compartments which would fit anything from a 580EX to a 50mm or anything really.
Another area I just noticed is a zipper on the back of the bag (the flat area resting against your back)
It only opens on one side and should fit any flat paperwork like model releases or your portfolio.

Did the person who gave it you mention any confidentially regarding the pack? If he didn't you can probably do what you ever want. If you're still nervous why not just as the guy who gave it you?

Well, the person that gave it to me said they weren't sure if sharing photos would be safe.
That's why I'm asking here.
If there's only 2 or 3 bags out there then they could easily trace it back to that person.
But I wonder if Canon really cares about photos leaking of a backpack.

I just got fired. My boss saw your description of our confidential designs on this forum. Thanks a lot Beethy.

They're fired for sure especially since you posted this on photography-on-the.net.

This isn't canonrumors.com, I don't think it's a big deal.

I'm also an insider for Lowepro and Tamrac and will be leaking these designs to them tomorrow morning. We'll have knock-offs out the door and on the shelves at Ritz before your bag is even released.

LOL

Good point... the person that this was given to did not sign a NDA form.
On top of that... this person is going to leave Canon shortly anyway.

Give me the dimensions of yours and I'll measure if it can fit somewhere.

The bag itself is quite large so it should also fit any other laptop shit like cables, mouse... etc.
There's plenty of storage.
