Enlargers Anonymous
Im looking to get an enlarger to try out the old wet printing game. I'm looking for something cheap on e-bay.
I currently shoot 35mm and quite a lot of 120 too and wouldn't mind moving up to 5x4 large format. Can any enlarger handle these formats with the right carriers or are most bottom end ones solely for 35mm??
Are carriers fairly generic for each particular make or do I have to find model specific ones for the enlarger I end up with?
Any recommendations for one to look for that will be versatile and easy to find parts for? Really only looking at B&W for the moment.

Colour enlargers and BW are the same there is no difference, unfortunatly as far as im aware most bottom end enlargers are only suitable for 35mm and medium format , you can in just change over the neg carriers, but also remember that you have to change the lenses too , you need a 50mm lens for 35mm and an 80mm lens for 6x6 and 6x4.5

Cheers for that. Didn't know that about the lenses, have to look for one while I'm on e-bay
