I'm finally going to buy the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

The thing is, I'm not sure what brand and how much I should spend on an accompanying polarizing filter.

The prices range from 50 to 200, and because of the ultra wide angle of the lens do I need any other special considerations?

What filters do you use with your wide angles?
help me out here, im dying to throw away the 18-55 kit lens

pic not really related, but i think i did a good job there
so tada

I shoot in raw and edit to the exact same effect as with a pola filter.

Time to play another round of Troll or Moron, I see.

My vote is moron, which I believe is because of a strange sort of optimism.

this being a 4chan board, both are highly probable

You need a thin polarizer (instead of two filters wide, the polarizer needs to be one filter wide) or you will cause extra vignetting. Of course, thin polarizers are more expensive.

In any case, the 10-22mm is L lens glass shoved into a EF-S package and a so-so plastic casing, so it deserves the best you can afford. If you want to use a polarizer, get a multi-coated one, preferably at least Hoya SMC but B+W is recommended.
