I asked /g/ this question just now and a week ago but I didn't get any answers. Since camera's is /p/'s thing I could probably get answers.

I have a camera with my SD card in it and I want to transfer some files other than .sys and .jpg into it. How do I do that? I am using Vista and my camera is hte Kodak DX7590. My memory card is a micro SD connected to an SD adapter which is connected to the camera.

plug camera into computer, open drive, drag&drop.

If you can't figure out how to do any of that you shouldn't bother. It's easy. So easy, a Butterfly could do it.

This is where the problem occurs. I choose my removable storage and try and drag the file I want into my camera, then, I get this message:

The file 'filename.extension' is not supported on this device. Although this device supports unspecified files, it does not support .extension files.

When I say .extension it can mean anything from .exe to .gz

Yeah, thought so.

I didn't want to drop $10+ before finding another solution. I am in this bind because I lost the MicroSD adapter for my DS.

You could just remove the extensions and "re apply" them afterwards.
