Plain discussion thread, here.

What's your most commonly used aperture?

I'm not sure about mine, but I'd guess it would be f/5.6.

Pic entirely unrelated.

I like to shoot wide open, which with depending on what i'm using is different. With my canon 50mm prime, that's 1.8. With my MD ROKKOR-x it's 1.7. My 28mm SMC-Pentax comes in at 3.5, which is probably the slowest that I shoot at regularly, while the 50MM SMC is 2. One of the main reasons i love to shoot wide open is that i like to play around with DOF a lot. Of course, i use all apertures regularly, but i gravitate towards bigger ones. most of the time that means the ROKKOR or the SMC-PENTAX.

Cliff notes: wide open.

either wide open indoors, or full-shut at night for long exposure of traffic.

I don't really do very much inbetween, anymore

Looks like f/3.5. That's as wide as my primary lens goes.
>> F64
my lenses are all pretty tiny aperture wise. i usually shoot at either f4 or f64, depending on the camera, usually f64 for my 8x10 and f4 for my medium formats

i shoot primarily portraits for my medium shots and environments for big big negatives
