Which one is better and why? I know they're boring and generic but they're for a project on architecture.

#1 wins

Sticks to subject, no red thing in corner..
keeps colors to simple scheme of blue white gray and black, nothing past that...first one better.

If one shopped out the red thing, the increase of dark would give more equality to the second one... your call.

I prefer #1, it emphasizes size better.

#1 with the full height of the building and the cool clouds reflecting off the windows

reflection on this one is better than on the 2nd.

Looks like you should have used a Circular Polarizing filter to get rid of those nasty reflections. It also blocks between 1 and 3 full stops of light depending on which position you have it rotated to.

As we discussed yesterday, this is false. Circular polarizers always make you lose the same amount of light!

Looks like you don't know how a Circular Polarizing filter works. Try one out, they're lots of fun!

OP here I had a skylight filter on :/

Don't those do absolutely nothing other than protect your front element or block out some haze when using film?

I do, I'm just trolling.

I believe they have a slight warm up effect too. Not as much as an actual warm filter, but it will change the colours slightly.
