I'm looking for a digital SLR that has MARVELOUS macro abilities.

It's not the camera that has the macro ability, it's the lens. That's why you want a dSLR. Just pick up any modern dSLR (in b4 flamewar of "my brand is best") and there will be good macro lenses for it.

Do all dSLRs have multiple lenses available?
Is there any kind that has more lenses?

The idea of a dSLR is that you can change its lenses. If you're getting a dSLR, just sticking with a kit lens is a complete WASTE of it.

All dSLR's currently on the market have a very wide range of lenses available. The only slight exception is Sony's a-100, which has a moderate selection of Sony-available (overpriced) lenses (of which 3 I think are dedicated macro), but more importantly is backwards compatible with all of Minolta's AF mount lenses (lots of ebay, etc market).

I know someone's gonna disagree with my blanket "all dSLRs nowadays have lots of lenses" statement, but you will be able to find AT LEAST 3 or 4 lenses for each job / focal range for each lens mount (and third party manufacturers like sigma for the most part put lenses out on all mounts in use nowadays).

konica minolta dimage a2.

not an slr, but get a used one on ebay and you have yourself an AMAZING macro camera.
not as good as say the best macro lens for a canon 5d, but fucking AMAZING for the price.

If you go Nikon the 105mm VR is probably the greatest Hand holding Macro lens you can buy, If you refuse to use a tripod (much like me) This is the best lens I've ever used (No experience with canon, just other Nikon, Sigma and Tamron Macro lenses)

I have this lens and I can attest to it's greatness. The VR is a god send when a tripod just sometimes isn't practical, and it goes down to 1:1 which is enough for pretty much anything.

There's actually at least one dSLR out there that only has a single fixed lens.

(Also, I personally own one film SLR with a fixed lens, and know of at least one other)

Olympus E-10 and E-20, maybe one or two others, but it's all almost a decade old and mostly obscure. I don't know of any fixed-lens dSLRs currently in production.
