1.)EliteChrome 200 for 35mm, Astia for 120
2.)Neopan 400
3.)I'm sampling a lot of different things, so whatever I can get my hands on.

Why do you ask? THe last time we had a thread like this, there were like 100 responses and no body tallied it.

Why do you so called "film fags" post something from your favorite of the 3 types of film? That would make the thread more interesting, and less like gear faggotry.

I'll start. This shot is on 400VC from a film trade that I'm doing.

3.) The cheapest. Currently DNP Centuria 200 (2,50€/24-exp roll) or Kodak Gold 200 (5,00€/roll). I bet those aren't THE BEST color neg films but both work well for me...

Velvia 100. I don't actually have any decent Velvia 50 shots, apparently. Which sort of gives lie to my claim that it's my favorite slide film, eh what?

Man, I need to go shoot some more film. Unfortunately, Buffalo's about to go into hibernation and lose all of its colors for about six months...

Kodak gold 5€/roll, what are you smoking? ;P Buy Ultracolor+ for 2€/roll if you need to buy new film from your local mart.

Sounds like a good exercise. Try shooting Velvia exclusively or near-exclusively for those six months and see if you can make the color palette of an upstate New York winter work with the palette and saturation of Velvia.

1) Velvia 50
2) Tmax 100 (yes I know it looks grainier than shit, But I like shooting wide open a lot, and its worked for me in the past)
3) Ektar 100 hopefully :) (Never shot color negative film)

Color:
Provia 100f RDP III 4x5

B&W:
Efka PL 25 M 4x5

To those of you picking on 287696, I would not consider the Provia I use to be slide film because the result of processing it is not a slide because it is 4x5. It's a color transparency. 287696 didn't specify a format, so he may very well be using something larger.

I can't shoot Velvia exclusively since I'm doing the whole Picture A Day thing again and I can't afford to be shooting Velvia every day, but still a good idea.

$10 processed and scanned to CD.

I tend to use fuji superia for everyday fuckarounds, seems to give decent results for when I'm in the mood to shoot film.

Is it just me or is the allure of shooting film the excitement of getting your film back from the lab, or seeing it on your light table for the first time? Much more rewarding than seeing it on the screen and going 'oh yeah, a picture.'

1. Rarely shoot slides, but I like Provia 400X
2. Ilford HP5+ is nice, and so is a lot of other films
3. Superia 100, Portra 160NC/VC and sometimes a roll of superia 800.

Dunno. It's brand new. I.e., Adorama only started shipping it like a week ago. That's what makes it exciting.

Might be completely lame. Might be awesome.
