Just go to the camera store nearest you and take a look what they have in stock, you won't save much by buying online because of the size of the parcel to ship it.

Also if your just using a small digital camera like the one you have you won't need something ridiculously heavy, so an aluminum alloy frame would be fine

I really like the idea of the SLR Zoom Gorrilla pods, only problem is you always have to find a place to mount it and i'm sure a lot of times it will be in a akward position.
