loving the poop near the watermark

I'm dumb. What is it?

I say crop it first, Take 10% off the bottom and about 15% off the right hand side, Theres no reason for the bottom to be in the pic, and it will make it less "centered" and remove some unwanted bits.

also some sharpenning and up the saturation slightly, (maybe contrast after the crop)

It is lens aberration, but it can be used creatively and in this case adds to the photo rather than taking away.

You don't want it all the time, but here it works (imo).

sweet, thanks. well I can't do any cropping etc as i've already got a professional printed 12x18" print on a mat etc (very strict rules). I can't really edit any of it, as there is no 'post production' allowed. I'm not sure if tweaking colours/levels fits into this category- but i'm taking no chances. The photo looks almost mesmerizing when it's printed and in good light.

Oh - it's a rock wallaby. (Australia)

basic levels, curves, color balance, white balance, sharpening and the like, Are required with DSLR's, Especially the more professional ones. So a contest like that seems a little strange, Mostly for P&S's it seems

Could be bokeh from the out of focus items, yes?
even the pieces of tree towards the center of the frame are soft......hence why its probally bokeh and not abberation.

corner softness and abberations are usually different. eg chromatic abberation / purple lines on high contrast areas....not just at the edges of the pic...

Wow, you have a cool camera if it watermarks your photos for you!

nar, if it goes online, it gets a tag. Apart from the watermark and being scaled down by 50% this is straight off camera.
