Sup /p/.

I saw one of these babies at a thrift store today, not this specific model, but it was a rolleicord. What do you photoheads think about it as a purchase for 60 bucks? Worth it? It might not work, I havent checked, but I'm probably going to head out tomorrow to see it up close. She also has a voigtlander on display, for 40 bucks and an argus.

Any of y'alls got any experience with TLRs?

... if it's really that price, and really works, then FUCK YES.

Yeah, go for it. TLRs are fun, and that's a pretty good price for a Rolleicord.
>> thefamilyman
ppl who know about TLR's (like me and looks like the previous posters too) will tell you that you should.
TLR's are fun and also frustrating at the same time, but i enjoy my ones very much.

so go get it and knock yourself out.

Shop is closed on sundays. I was really looking forward to getting it today, but one extra day wont hurt.

While we're on the subject, since i have basically no experience with anything other than 135 film, Is the rolleicord's 120 film available widely, or is it something that i'd have to specialty order. Also, is it as easy to process and develop as good ol' 35 mm film?
>> ac
120 is pretty much the only remaining medium-format film. Any good photography store should have it and be able to develop it. The little Ritz Cameras in the mall probably won't.

If you can't find anywhere locally that sells it, you can buy it from Adorama.com and other places like that.

how does a Rolleicord compare to a Rolleiflex?

The rolleicord is just a simplified rolleiflex. Instead of a winding crank that preps the shutter in one mechanism, they split it in two, so you have a knob to wind the film, and a lever under the lens as the shutter wind/release. Same solid construction in both, and many would argue that they also have the same quality glass.
