Oh fuck yeah. Anonymous
4 minutes in here and this place is clearly a thousand times better of a pho forum than 7chan.
What a waste.
Here is a present for you, hope there is some form of appreciation of it...

A wonderful teacher of mine that had a freak heart attack and died 3 months after I took this.
Technical questions will be happily answered because I totally geek this shit.

Not that you're not welcome, OP, if you've got more photos like that.

Oh I've got plenty.

OP again, balls to that, clicked submit instead of browse.
Boat of fail.

exif?

Sorry. In all 800lbs of wood and metal, the 11x14 Deardroff doesn't have a way to etch exif data into the film.
In it's defense, it was made somewhere before 1930.
Here's another for you.
>> Anonymous
>>178024
What film is this?
>> Anonymous
>>178028
Fomapan 100 in 11"x14".
You can buy it from Freestylephoto.biz (repackaged into their 'house brand') and it's relatively cheap, for being 11x14 sheets of film.
Nothing beats a contact print eh?

And on that note, time for another...

These 4 images are better than 99.9999999999% of any other photo I've ever seen posted on /p/, despite any criticism it's denizens may offer. Just keep that in mind. They're all stellar photos, IMO.

haha, these are fucking awesome. what's your story? are you a student? rich hobbyist?
>> Anonymous

An increasingly broke student.
Digging around for a way to work some sort of professional angle in the next year or two.

awesome, awesome fotos.

portrait studio comes to mind. there can't be too many guys working an 11x14 in your town.

Shooting film in this day and age and making a living off it would be a bit of a feat I think. I'll do what I can though.
I'm looking for assisting work at the moment but there aren't that many photographers in the area I'd be interested in working under. At least not that I'm familiar with. If anyone is fans of any photogs in Chicago I could look into, I'd appreciate that very much...

Didn't mean to leave you guys hanging.
Glad most of you seem to be enjoying it so far.
>> Anonymous
I haven't been following all the posts, but these are great portraits and if you are looking to do thing for money, I'm sure a lot of people would like to get their portraits done in this vintage style. Otherwise, become a low end studio photographer photographing families and graduating students. Maybe work somewhere that has struck a deal with the local highschools.

These photos are delicious. Are there moar?

Lol, are you the OP? You gotta lower your standard, man, or else you'll get nowhere.
>> Anonymous
>>178076

Lol, no, no, OP has a good point. There's a reason why those guys charge so much (800 students x ($10 per headshot + $35 for student's prints?).

hi op.

what lighting set up do you use?
>> Warren !WSxruxpIJs
George Hurrell much? Seriously, though, these are great. OP has a skill for this. You've got balls shooting 11x14 portraits, too - shooting on 8x10 is hard enough.
>> Serenar !m827jEgWi.
Maybe you could push the "vintage" angle of your work. Dress up in an appropriate costume and then do shots at fairs and other events - I'm sure people would be willing to pay more just because it seems trendy to get film portraits.

Great stuff, by the way. Do you have anything that shows a little more of the body, though? I've always had trouble getting full body shots to look natural.
>> Anonymous
You have some serious talent, it seems. Keep it up.

absolutely amazing work op

OP's pics gave me a boner. Requesting moar.

Also some background, such as techniques used and so.

And yes, go for the 20's look.

Great pic except the spots on her body which are pretty distracting.

These are okay, nothing interesting. Filmfags will have a field day, but overall they kind of suck.
