Hello /p/. I'm up a certain creek witout a certain paddle. and need the help of the best shopers around.

I have to produce a poster for a project. Not a problem in itself and I decided to do this in photoshop in order for me to learn more about the program...help me with my photos....etc.
Poster is now finished....ish and will soon be printed A0 size. My problem is that when I save what I've done as a jpeg and not a psd the colours compleatly change, go shitty and sludgy and generally look horrible!

I do not have the photoshop skill to work out what the hell i need to do to corect this and so humbly ask for yor assistance

having investigated further I'm not so sure.

when i select image -> mode it shows RGB detected
when i look at view -> proof setup it says working in CMYK.

Why the fuck would you want to save it as jpg? Hopefully not for printing!

best format for printing would probably be a 16-bit TIFF

Max. quality JPEG is fine for printing up to A4. Maybe even higher, but I haven't tried that...

I've printed this at A1 from the jpg.
It came out fine. Couldn't tell the difference between that and one from my D80.

Try this: Edit>Convert to profile

then select sRGB and press convert.

I had the same problem when I did a photoshoot for some friends of mine a while back. ACR puts everything in Adobe's color space by default, so you have the change it over to sRGB if you want to save for the web or view on your computer.
