velvia 100 is a stop faster than 50 alright. difference should be small, except for the velvia100 being 20-25 years newer. reprocity failure should be corrected in a better way, otherwise you shouldn't notice any difference.

velva 100F is a different story, lets not discuss it right now. I got some velvia100 in my fridge, should try it sometime.

Well, i figured that, but with them releasing the new Velvia 50, which was basically the same as the newer Velvia 100, i wondered if there was any difference at all..

I've got a roll of 50 sitting here but I usually go with 100 (for price reasons only). From what I've seen of others prints there's no discernible difference but my eye is not as sharp as some.

Shutterbug had a review, said it looks even more like the original than the 100. Dunno if they're a good source or not though.

From what I've heard, 50 and 100 have distinct looks to them. The yellows on 50 are supposed to be noticeably brighter. I haven't really shot enough of either to compare 'em much, but I do think that my RVP50 shots look a lot prettier than my RVP100.

Just make sure not to use either 50 or 100 for shooting these hot chixx0rz of yours. I believe 100F is fine, though.

Also: I covet your models.

i'm not using them at all. All the models, Athena here included, was shot on Kodak 160VC. I am not happy with the color corrections i'm doing, but it worked for the purpose., i'm switching over to Astia for the one next weekend, because its paid.

*sigh* i've been wasting my saturday scanning all this stuff in.

try using 160NC for skin instead of VC.
I find 160VC is a good general purpose film (i tend to use 400VC more), and 160NC has a smoother tone more suitable for subtle skin tones.
If you want to try other print films, NPS and NPH are great.

coolness, thanks! i'll have to remember that.
