Whats the best shot you'd ever missed?

The other day it was dusk and they were setting the methane vents on fire as I drove past the dump. There was a dozen of them and workers just standing and watching. It was gorgeous.

and me without my camera :/

fighter plane flying through a rainbow to come in for a landing at an air force base about 3 years ago. I'm STILL kicking myself over that one. Had the opportunity to pull over on a busy highway and didn't.

a bird looking for food in a dead tree, branches... branching out everywhere
it was about 3:30 in the afternoon, and the moon was in the background
it passed me by so quick :(

A pure white horse rearing up in a field full of flowers with a shaft of sunlight breaking through the clouds above onto the spot it was standing.

I girl was walking in front of me with a mini skirt on a very windy day. I had my camera with me, but I wasn't going to use it. So I just videotaped it with my mind.

Late July I went on a vacation in Sun River, Oregon and I decided one beautiful night to go fishing in the Deschutes River near the home I was renting. I went fishing around sunset after I ate dinner. I didn't catch anything at all, but I looked around me when I was going to leave and saw the moon peeking over the mountains, which were a stunning shade of soft pink now that the sun had set. I went back every other night after that hoping it would happen again, but it never did.

In the real world there are such things as "horses". They are not mythical beasts.

Those 50+ shots from my camping trip.

I heard the click noise! But the camera was loaded wrong.

GOD I hated myself for that.

I was on my way to school and there was this big, colorful dragon fly in the train station strugling from spider webs. It was bigger than my palm and I had a D300 witha 50mm ready in my backpack. Unfortunately the train arrived and I was late for class
