/p/ I am taking a Digital Photography class as part of my program at college, and I needs to get me a camera. Now, can you recommend a camera to someone who really wants to get in to it? Price range is preferably about $600, but I might be able to stretch it to $1000 if I really have to.EXIF data available. Lovely, thanks.
oh theres also the Sony A100 and Olympus uhhh E300 i think? if you wanna go that route.
>>75820I wouldn't recommend the E300, it's fucking old and clumsy, and superior E500 and E330 both fit in the $600 price range. Also, you forgot Poland...uh, I mean Pentax K100/K110
>>75826oh i was thinking of the E330. and yeah, i knew i was forgetting something but couldnt remember. its those silly less popular brands. Also the K10D is under $1000 i do believe.
Wow, a camera.
iPhone
fucking k1000d, or a eos 400d!!!!!! SRSLY THEY PWN
I use a K100D. Cost me $700 with a 50mm 1.4.
>>76004Is that for a crop sensor lense? or, is it just a older 50mm f/1.4?were'd you get it?
>>76005K100Ds run less than $500 with the kit lens now, which is seriously cheap for a nice SLR.
>>76009Ah, I see. Finding lense isn't hard, Though, right? Considering they are backwards compatible with older glass (atleast thats what I heard) Only thing that suck is hte 1.5x crop factor.
I got it from adorama. 1.5x crop factor, and a fairly good selection of lenses. If you don't care for the shake reduction, I suppose you could go for the cheaper K110D.
>>76110The SR maybe helpful, actually
I use a Pentax K10D with vertical grip... if the rebate comes, it'll come to under $1,000 including shipping (body, 18-55, 50-200, battery grip, various extras from Cameta)
