So I'm pretty much a photo newb, but I got some hardware that was left to me. I got an old nikon slr and some lens that doesn't seem to fit it (see pics).

So basically, how do i tell what model the nikon is? all it says on it is nikon, besides what looks like a serial number on the back (FM 3184963). I'm also curious what all the numbers/writing on the lens refers to.

I'm interested because I want to maybe ebay some cheap lenses for the camera to fool around with, or maybe pick up something at a garage sale.
