Mah kitty Fu
whew my first 4chan post.
My kitty 'snips'. Any tips for getting animal photos without using disturbing flashes? Too cold and overcast for proper outdoor photos here.

Boost iso, use extrem fast shutter speed, noise ninja.

Biggest problem is that cat's cute moments seems to usually be either sleeping or in high speed. Also, I have been trying outside a bit, but I get fogged over quick. I hear anti-fogger for dive masks works for this. Ever heard of such a thing?

your lens fogs up?
>> Lynx !!KY+lVSl0s2m
what kind of camera are you using? is what I mean to say.

Canon Rebel Xti
Yeah, a bit of fog trouble. I am apprehensive about staying out long in the 30F weather with my camera. Going outside to get a quick shot of the titmouse on the wire doesn't work well.
My poor little kit lens gets an uncomfortable amount of fog/condensation.

you have to let the air and moisure inside the lens cool down to ambient temperature. usually takes around 20 minutes.

You mean leaving out just the lens?
I dunno, would you rather spray mystery fluid on a protective filter or try equipment at that temp?

I guess I am just paranoid because all of it was a hulava investment for me. Have you used lenses like that without any ill effect?

take the camera outside and let it sit for a while. I leave my d40 in my car, so its always ambiet temp.

I'm telling you this for your own good, that's incredibly dangerous.

I hope for your sake that you live in a nice area or your car isn't cheap and easy to get into.

If he leaves it in the boot or under the seat then no one will see it and his car is only as likely to be broken into as it usually is.

You could always get insurance if you are really worried.
