Truth. This is about the OP's photos, which he asked to be critiqued, not about whether we can do any better. I don't usually make a habit of photographing chairs, anyway.

Two ways to better your work:

1. Find an interesting subject, or if you find nothing interesting, find a boring subject and contextualise it.

2. Get out more. I mean this in the best possible way.

3. If it's boring in colour, it will always be boring. B&W will not save you.
