Hey /p/, I just got a Canon Rebel Xti kit for $380. Tell me some different combination of shutter speed and aperture I can try.

Also tell me some other cool shit I can do with it.

try these settings for normal photography should work in most scenarios.

aperture: f16
ISO 1600, (or higher if possible
shutter: one second or so.

That's the sunny/16 modification called "universal/16." I use it quite often. Rather than guessing the exposure, I do a little bit of math using that rule.

i've heard of that.. its what all the pros use right?

Yep.

Absolutely do this! I like to leave my shutter open for as long as i can on ISO 1600. So if you leave it open for a second or so at 1600 it lets in the maximum amount of light and makes a more solid image that way, and the camera is smart enough to adjust the overexposed-ness.

Use the largest aperture you can (eg f1.8). Then set you camera to 30 second shutter at iso 1600. You can take really good pictures of the sun like that.

max aperture is 3.5.. you must be intelligent and use correct figures if you are going to troll.

Use f/3.5, ISO 1600 and shutter 1/5 for day pics.

Use f/22, ISO 100 and shutter 1/2000 for night pics.

All the best.

stop trolling

super16 is the only config you need

OP, if you're not a troll, and you want real tips, don't come to /p/. Read your camera manual and learn to use your camera's light meter.
