hey /p/. Its a gorgeous night out there ( for whats possible in this smog infested industrial cesspit anyways) and the light from the moon on the clouds, and the colour it turns them is really, ridiculously pretty- looking even prettier when zoomed in on.The problem is that whenever i try and focus on the clouds my camera ofshoots and gets only the moon. It negates all of the light around it and only concentrates on the moon itself- even when focus points are set elsewhere. This is mildly cured by having the moon off in a corner somewhere, but thats not really what i'm after. The pic attatched is what my auto mode grabs- i cant seem to duplicate this myself, let alone at a level which actually looks decent. The clouds are moving slowly, but fast enough to come out quite blurry at a slow shutter speed- though i'm still waiting of my tripod coming which i know will help things out a bit.Any tips?EXIF data available. Manual focus will solve your focusing problems. Also shoot in Manual so you can get a couple different exposures (So you can save a shot that makes the moon look good and paste it into a shot that makes the clouds look good)
>>116899i did try using manual but i found it pretty hard to see what i was doing since i'm all tripodless and my arm was shaking thanks to the cold. Will definitely give it a go once my stuff is delivered though.
