Take them to someone with a good film scanner, who specializes in scanning such stuff (that is not a commercial photo lab on a corner). You will get crappy results trying to scan them on a flatbed, one way or another.
BTW, processing refers to developing the films, and has nothing to do in this case. If your local lab offers scanning the films, there's no real reason for them to not scan slides. But don't expect stellar results.
