Hm. Playing with lighting again. Two strobes situated about 5 feet from the subject each, both fired through umbrellas and into a white ceiling.

Any good? Total crap? What would you have done differently except for hanging a black sheet up? (lol, 180* pano of my house)

thanks. yeah, the reflections suck and I didn't think about that until after I had everything set up.
Im not sure how I could have gotten more light to the liquid with how it was set up. snoot maybe?
The angle/crop; do you mean more space on the bottom? If so, yeah, I see what you mean. The backdrop was a piece of black cardstock so I didn't have a lot of room for that unfortunately.
gotcha on the dof and apple, shadow is my fault from the strobes.

the darkness actually was intentional, I probably did overdo that though.

it doesn't look dark enough to look intentional, it just looks poorly lit right now

you need a lot more light

or no light at all and blast the glass at 1:1 only
