/p/ i need some advice, i cant decide between these three lenses:

Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8D AF
Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM EX
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S VR DX

theyre pretty much in the same pricerange, the VR can be useful i guess but i dont like the way the lens extends out when zooming.

any help would be much appreciated!

I'd go for the two first ones just for the f/2.8. I don't know about the Nikkor 80-200, but I don't really like the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8EX - the bokeh isn't really nice and the autofocus ring is a bit loose, at least on those I've tried.

If you don't mind weight and size, definitely the 80-200mm Nikkor. If you want something light, compact, and versatile and are willing to sacrafice some aperture and optical quality, go for the 18-200mm. The sigma is an OK lens, but the Nikkor is better.

Nikkor 80-200mm. If the Sigma is priced the same. If it's cheaper, then you would have a reason to go Sigma. Anyway, I have the 80-200mm. And it's spectacular. The bokeh, the sharpness, the fast autofocus (faster than my kit lens) it's all good. The bad thing is the weight and size. I had to purchase a new bag and a monopod just for it. Just a reminder, I've heard some rumors that the auto focus on the D70s with the thing has some problems.

And oh, there are at least six versions of it. The latest one would be the one they're showing at Nikon's site.
