I'm going to Oxford tomorrow and I'm taking my "new" K1000, anyone been there that can recommend thing to look for/go to?
I will be with other people so it can't be too far away.

Its all about the architecture i guess, the radcliffe camera (its a library), the sheldonian all the other university buildings.

If you're lucky the exams are over and you'll be able to go inside a lot of the collages. If you're not, they'll be shut more than usual. Oxford has a pretty tiny city centre, its impossible to get that far away from anything (ive walked from one botley to Brookes in about 45min).

Enjoy the tourists, they're are more than the students (even during term time).

Oxford is a great city for street photography (if you're into that), just start walking off down a side street. Guaranteed beautiful backdrop anywhere you go, really. Jericho is my favourite place (sort of west).

You wouldn't happen to have walked from Botley to Brookes because you live at Harcourt, would you?

its easier to fit in than i used to live in south oxfordshire for a long time and have become very familiar with oxford after both spending time there in education and also work.

From what I remember (this was 2 years ago) Oxford is good for street photography as>>182536said. Also if you like historical objects, Oxford is a great place for that kinda thing.
You live anywhere near Oxford?

Also, because there are millions of tourists in oxford, you dont get strange looks for having any camera, can point it any anything you want and not get any trouble.

I'm living in St. Albans for a year, so a bit of a drive but not to far.

If you was living near Reading then I would have recommended you getting some street photography from there. Or even going to the Uni of Reading grounds and getting some decent pics there.
