Nikon the wannabe photographer
my dad got this camera back in 1975 and its one of the best cameras i have ever used....

but i think its time for a upgrade

witch Nikon DSLR should i get....

i was looking at the D40x

what do you all think i should get?

Used D50, AF with Primes etc etc etc..

you'll be disappointed if you get a d40x. the build quality are worlds apart between it and your current awesome old 35mm.

so, yeah. just go buy anything above the bottom of the barrel and you won't be disappointed.

or keep shooting with the 35mm, which is just as good. just more expensive.

i have money to spend on one ( about $1050 ) at the moment....so i should keep on saving and get something like the D80 or D200?

o and about that Nikon FM....its amazing....i will never stop using it...and that photo is a good reason why.....you just cant get that with a DSLR...

One can if he knows what to do in Camera Raw and Photoshop. Most digital cameras, even DSLRs, have horrible default processing settings.

yea you make a good point there but with no editing ...you cant get that with a digital camera..
