It doesn't have two control dials, which isn't as much of a problem as people make it out to be, but it's still just part of the very non-photographer-oriented design. Same with no top LCD- though there's legit reasons to drop that besides saving them money, namely it lets the camera be smaller since it can also use the rear LCD.
>>285367 But this is probably your best option. Go for an older, used, non-entry-level camera. Go check out in a store how Canons, Nikons, Pentaxes, Sonys (used to be Minoltas), Olympuses, etc. feel and handle and shoot to you, personally. They all have different interfaces and design philosophies, but are pretty much the same otherwise. Pick the one you like, buy a decent non-entry-level model used.
