/p/, are there any good points left about shooting slide film? After several months I decided to give it up. I love the viewfinder on my film Nikon and the winding lever, but the rest is all inconvenience. Dust and scratches, warming/cooling filters, wasting film on bracketing in difficult light, those pesky slide frames, aberration that I'm unable to correct, etc. And the resolution isn't much better than my 10mp DSLR.

No exif cause it's Nikon FG + Ultron 40mm

Purists can argue, but no, not really. I think Velvia 50 is pretty amazing and deserves to be shot nonstop, however.

Slides are great, but if you're complaining about resolution then your real problem is film size. Buy a Hasselblad (or more sensibly, any other MF camera)

Eh, we get like 40 sunny days per year here, so no nonstop Velvia for me. I've got a roll in the fridge, but I was saving that for summer.

I'm not complaining actually, just duly noted that. I never print anything larger than 6x8, so even 6MP digital is enough.

And decent MF cameras are big so I can't haul one with me all the time like I do with my 35mm and digital stuff.

Oops. Self-fixed.
