CPLs aren't magic, you know. They reduce reflections and glare, they don't outright eliminate it. The white hazy glare on top of the frames was mostly corrected with the piece of shit CPL but the lenses of the glasses stayed reflective. I don't know the exact reasoning behind that, I'd assume it might be something with the polarized lenses and the polarized filter reacting to one another, but that's a shot in the dark.

All of these images were taken within minutes of each other. Camera was on a tripod with no adjustments of any sort made between photos, except to the CPL. No post processing except resize.

CPLs act like about a 2-stop ND, when polarized fully off axis. On axis they don't really do anything.

Here's my example, a $55 Tiffen. The angles aren't quite the same cause it turns out I moved between shots, so I distorted the shot in PS to make it look roughly the same. No color correction or anything, obviously.

Note the reflections on the windows have all changed and the sky is a much more awesome color.
