Hey /p/. Guy from /x/ here. I have this photo that my friend took - captured something freaky, but I don't want to assume it's paranormal. Do you guys know what might have caused it to show up this way?

This was shot with a cheap camera, pitch black out, no light from any streetlights or on-coming cars. Any ideas?

lensflare / dirty lens / broken camera with a light leak

Shit, I forgot to mention that we took other pictures later that looked fine.

in that case

is obviously the only logical explanation

was your finger in front of the camera? Any hairs that could possibly fly in front of the lens?

Fingers, no; we thought about that and asked the girl who took it, she swears her fingers weren't anywhere near the lens. As for hair, not likely. She had VERY short hair at the time.

looks like lens flare to me

gotta be a light reflection from the car in the photo, then. That's the most likely explaination;s he may have not had the flash on, but sometimes they still pop up. It's possible it was also a processing issue

Upload the original, non-resized version so we can see the exif.

In the thread in /x/, someone said that it might help figure the photo out if someone asked you guys over here in /p/ what might have caused the distortion.

It's not smoke. None of us were smoking at the time. It also was taken a few months ago, so it wasn't cold outside.

Thank you for a real answer. I thought it couldn't be the car because it was so far away, and the reflection, if that's what it is, looks so odd.

I'm going to try and get the high res pic from her today.

she also had her flash on; all things considered, it actually could be her breath if it was extremely cold out as well. It doesn't look paranormal to me, so i don't think you guys have anything to worry about.

oops disregard that. Are you sure there werent' any branches in front of you ? Bugs, etc?

wouldn't a grue have run from all that light?
>> Sicko !L3HRY/miC.
>>104564

It's the er... traces of a grue quickly leaving the scene.

Though he did say it was "pitch black".

This is obviously a case of aurora borealis.

Ah yes, it's the grue saliva. Truly a close call.
