what would be a better angle to capture this building? it's super creepy and covered in ivy.

i cropped about half of the photo out because i felt like it made it far too busy.

i plan on visiting this building again sometime soon.

I am just a lurker and I don't know much about photography, but I like the first photo best. It has a clear Dissappearing point, and it really is a nice shot.

I like the color in this one, but the composition seems to be a little bit too scattered and busy.

Def. my fav, or i'm just a sucker for sepia toning. There's got to be more than the door to shoot. Does it have any cobwebs, any broken bricks, etcetc around it?

Good shot, but kinda fuzzy. Unless you've got an SLR, you should basically just pretend your camera doesn't go over ISO200. I like the subject and the framing, though.

Not too fond of this one, but I can't articulate why. Possibly because I can't tell what it is. Maybe include more in the photo, so I can tell what it is, or less, so I don't care as much.

Not sure sepia's the way to go with this. I think it would be better as a straight, high-contrast B&W.

I see what you did there.

Definitely my favourite - just unfortunate that you shot at ISO800, as ac says :(

I imagine it was dark in there (given the relatively long exposure and f2.8 aperture) - so a tripod should be your next investment, I think (at least it would be mine, in the same position :))

I have seen a lot of shops in my time.

thanks for the input!>>42800
was kind of an accidental shot. i was wondering around in the dark and i had my camera with me. i didn't really feel like fiddling around with settings because i was really tired as well.
in retrospect i really do wish i had worked on>>42800harder, but if i had focused too much on bringing out the shot, i think i would of lost some of the magic that makes me like the picture so much. it is very fuzzy everywhere but the round white dial which i feel contrasts the entire picture and acts as a great focal point.

i do plan on buying a tripod next, do you have any suggestions in the 30-50 dollar range? i'm looking for something lightweight and preferably be able to fit in my backpack and that can handle a lightweight camera. i'd like the pan to be smooth and adjustable.
