i'm looking for a new fast lens with wide-angle capability for my nikon DSLR with max zoom >=55mm. any suggestions?

That or the sigma 24-70mm f2.8

Close as your going to get to wide angle and greater than 55mm

or spend the 1400 and get the nikon 28-70

No shit they aren't but look at the OP's post, >=55, Fast lens (aka f2.8) And Wide

So the sigma 24-70 f2.8 is the only lens that really fits that,
That or the Nikon 17-55 f2.8 (a 1200$ lens...)
