dunno. If the object was to create some sort of industrial or cannery row picture, then the lighting counters the effect.

yea, i was shooting on a bright midday sun...cant do anything about that.

Or use a filter.

I know a few large formatters that bring a book for reading after setting up their gear to wait for the "perfect" light...

what city ?

train tracks are so cliche in photography. Stay away from them.

I agree usually, but photon's are better than most. Usually everyone will just photo the tracks disappearing to a vanishing point, but these tracks go off left and right. Makes it a bit more interesting - industrial to the right, environmental to the left.

Grayer than Gears of War

I really like these what did you do to make them like this?
>> photon

Glad some peeps here liked them.
City: Toronto
Method: desaturation, sharpen, gradual tint.

Another example of vanishing point...

what do you mean by gradual tint?
>> photon

Graduated tint... lol

gradual tint? is that how you got the skies like that?

everything looks like it was cropped so the subject was right..dead..center. also, boring angles
>> Depressed Cheesecake !wFh1Fw9wBU
Do be honest, I don't find the colors agreeable. I understand you're trying to portray a sad mood (correct me if I'm wrong), but it just looks dull and, in some, just frustrating. Overall, a few of these pictures could use a closer crop, but the basics seem to be there in most.

This is Lewiston-Queenston... :D
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>169721
Right, okay, but I'm pretty sure that's the Lewiston-Queenston bridge, since it sure as hell isn't the Rainbow bridge and that's the only other international bridge visible from Niagara Falls.
>> photon
>>169725
I think you're right, the far bridge is the lewiston-queenston.

Where are you from ac?

City's bigger than just the waterfall. It's a ~10-15 minute drive from my apartment to the park.
