I was up on a ~50m high bridge this morning shooting the sunrise when these guys came and said hello, apparently someone driving by earlier had gotten worried that i was going to jump and called the police, funny how they missed seeing my tripod, camera, camerabag. Anyways i explaied to the police what i was doing and everything was alright.

Just thought ide share a little story =)

Good thing you weren't here in the US- you would have been questioned because if you're hanging around anything big and taking pictures, you could be a "terrorist". Siiiiiigh.

Actually, still could have been why they stopped by, since you mentioned all the equipment- and they were simply more subtle about it.

Nice sunrise, though.

They do this in the UK too. More evidence they're the 51st state.

The guy closest on the picture first asked me what i was doing, i said i was taking photographs, he then told his partner and he radioed back to the station saying something about me just taking photographs ^_^ Also asked me how long i had been out there and explained that someone had gotten worried and called them. They asked me if i were working but i told them i just do it as a hobby.. Then as they were going back to the cars one of the officers said to me "dont jump now once we get in the car hehe" then wished me a merry christmas and left =) pretty much it!

Uh- you've got it backwards. When a mayor or two in my state wanted to put security cameras around town, guess what country they cited as a "positive" example?

Wake up, dude. You're living in far more of a surveillance state than anyone in the US.

In America they would've just shot you right out of the moving car D:

I SAW AMERICAN POLICE ON TV
