D-40, should i get one? I'm kinda new to the whole photography-thing.
I've tried it a bit and read a bunch about it but that's basically it. I'm just afraid i'll outgrow a d-40 quickly cause it's a very simple model. Whats /p/'s thought?

It's not simple. It has manual, auto, and priority modes. There isn't much more you need.

Unless you're doing complicated things with an external flash, or need dedicated buttons for everything, it isn't especially simple. The biggest knock is the whole autofocus thing, but unless you already know you're going to shoot things that you'll non af-s lenses for, it's sort of irrelevant. There's plenty, plenty to learn.
