If your decision on whether or not a lens that you *already have* depends on whether or not random Internet people think it's acceptable... then no. It's not. You fail. Hard.

OP here, i realize now it shouldn't be is it acceptable, it should've been how does it stand up to others in the same zoom range...lol

and i take pictures with it regularly...i only really have complaints about the auto-focusing, it's a tad slow sometimes...

Well, I've heard the autofocusing is a bit slow sometimes. Other than that, why the hell do you care how it stacks up? A lens that you have will always give you better results than a lens that you don't.
