Any Critique /p/? I just took this, sorry, camera is pre-EXIF (1995) But here's the Camera info:

Minolta RD-175 DSLR
ISO-800
28-80mm lens

Your picture is boring, underexposed and xbox huge.

RD-175 is awesome, though. Wish I could get my hands on one.

WOW, that's an interesting camera you have there! What's the story, where did you find it?

Very shitty photo though.

My Uncle gave it to me- I just got it to work with a CF card instead of the hard drive- it actually takes OK pictures. The size is because it has 3 CCD's, 2 Green, 1 Red/Blue.

I have something like this. Mine is a Minolta SLR attached to an AGFA 3CCD back. It has 1 megapixel. The thing still works except the hard drive died. Took great pictures back in the day but it was heavy as fuck.

Did anyone knocking the photograph bother to open it up and actually *look* at it closely?

Like with all the best portraits, the subject and their look at the time makes it. Not that this is one of "the best portraits," but it's still pretty good.

I would've taken a step back and included a bit more of the cat's head in the frame.

And OP, what's the crop factor of the sensor, what file types does it output, what is its shot to shot time, and how many megapixels does it have?

Oh, and viewfinder coverage.

2x crop factor, JPEG (almost uncompressed), 1.5 megapixels, and *FIXED* ISO 800 as far as I remember. Oh god, the dinosaurs of just 10 years ago.

And no, I didn't bother to look at the photograph closely because it would take a minute to load. Yes, my connection is shitty and I have ADHD.

this reminds me of my apple quicktake 100, which was also an ancient piece of shit. i wish i still had any of the interesting pictures i took with it(all on either my long dead powerbook 1400, or powermac 9500 that exploded it's power supply)

basically proves the point that optics matter way more than the quality of sensor, really. lots of cellphone cameras even exceed it in resolution nowadays, but the photos still look like shit. that quicktake was only something like 640x480, but it still stomps the shit out of any phonecam i've seen.

Actually, it only saves 1.08mb ".MDC" files, which, you "aquire" using an old mac, or in my case, Thumbsplus.
