even though this is a really nice one, /p/ has made me oh so bored with sunsets of any kind.

OP here, and yeah I agree with the overdose of sunsets lol, I prefer more of architecture photos, as well as landscape photos, something other than sunsets though. I needed atleast one HDR sunset in my collection though lol.

I'm very impressed with what you did here. How did you manage to capture the different exposures without letting the clouds move? The stitching on this HDR seems to be quite smooth.

the capturing took about 2.5sec per image section which included the camera writing to the card and focal adjustments. overall I think it took me about 45sec to capture all the frames plus my shutter speeds were pretty fast for a sunset, they were all shot at 1/200, 1/50, and 1/13. There also wasn't too much high altitude wind surprisingly.

OP here: and now that you mention that I totally see what you're saying. Must have just kinda over looked that. After thinking about it though, I think it gives a sense of perspective.

I do have something here though, something that isn't a sunset lol. It still has to do with the sky tho, I think you might like.

yeah the perspective really does get a sense of serenity and ambience. i'm just a minimalist and i like my work not to include anything that i don't see as necessary.

what's with the scary-ass stormclouds in that last pic? that's quite the contrast.

those were from a couple days prior to the beach shot. Actually now that I think about it, it was last week that I took that. I figured that I'd pop that one up too just to show it =P

Hey OP, I'd like to know what you think of my HDRs since it was completely buried here on /p/.
