Digitizing Slides Anonymous
Any protips on digitizing slides?
So far the best results i got were from using my rebel xsi to photograph backlit slides. And then try to improve in pohotoshop (levels, croping, etc...)

If you're not happy with them, the only other option is to get a scanner.
No I can not recommend a scanner. Google can though.

>>300397I do have a scanner, that comes w/ a "Transparent Materials Adapter" so you can scan slides.
Two problems, takes a lot of time to setup and scan each slide, and it looks like crap.

So I am using the TMA as to backlight the slides.

I believe the real problem will be when I get to the negatives.

What are you asking then?
You've tried scanning. Too long.
You've tried taking photos...
It's really not rocket science.
Unless you get the magical neg scanning fairy that scans them all in super fast and super clean, but I think she's busy serving in Iraq.
Seriously, what are you asking?
There are no other ways to get them on your computer.
Either buy a better scanner, take the time and deal with the one you have, or just use the camera.
Christ.
