Not bad either. Now you just need to try it off of full auto mode! Take the cruise control off and get learning those functions.

Yeah, I'm really excited about it since the full manual on this is sooo much more handy and accessible on my last cam (which is why I never really bothered learning it before). Thanks for the comments.

Until you decide to get a tripod you can practice your hand held work too. You can try using anything nearby to steady yourself, learn how to brace and balance. I hope to goodness you are using the viewfinder up at your eye too and not those screens on the back and holding it at arms length. I saw someone with one of those SLR-like Fuji compacts doing that recently.

You'll find you can probably get a lot done with that machine once you know how to work it all.
