>> Jeremo !iKGMr61IHM

I've been very quiet, planning and plotting my domination of the photographic world lately. Not too mention the work rush leading up to holidays and the holidays thmselves that far remove me from my pc and my /p/

So I present a cliched trains + tracks + city shot from the last time I picked up my camera

I don't remember which camera you use, but if you really want ultra wide, buy Sigma's 12-24mm lens. It's ultra wide, no matter what camera you use.
I've been thinking about getting one, as soon as I can figure out how do I pay it.

I blame the Christmas season and the usual distractions that go with it.

Damn you family!

Cheers dude, i've got a 10-20 Sigma at the moment.

I realise the Sigma is 35mm compatible but i'm gonna sell my 17-55mm 2.8 and get a 17-35mm 2.8 nikkor when I get my next Nikon (which will be the next FX they bring out)

But i'll still check out the Sigma. Though i've actually NEVER seen it at a store in Sydney

OP, I like your picture, however I think it would be a bit better on the eyes if it were cropped lower with the top stopping at the top handrail and showing the full door. Maybe I'm just crazy though...

No, I agree, seeing the whole door would've been nice in my opinion.

No worries, here it is with the door, I just didn't like the brick work. The top i'm keeping because it's a nice repeated motif with the top six blocks matching those 6 below.

In retrospect, I agree with your cropping, apologies abound. Of course you could always add another subject in there (like a model) but then you move from architectural photography to a loose form of portraiture and the lighting would need to be reworked, yadda, yadda, yadda...
