ok, just a couple things
-resize
-try to compose the shots so they look nicer/more balanced. the colors are neat, but on the first one there is this tilted black fuzzy wood horizon going straight through too much of the bottom. its kinda distracting, but i guess it does lend some weird sense of balance with the clouds and ground converging on the sun in a kinda similar way. i feel like it should be balanced, but it isn't. also, the sun is almost dead center, so i have this white beam of shit staring directly at me. a different lay out for the shot. i know the rule of thirds isnt end-all-be-all sex, but it would have helped this photo a bit.

as for the second photo, there is WAY TOO MUCH SKY. this, combined with the lack of an outstanding subject kinda just makes my eyes wander around the picture wondering where the fuck i am going. more ground (maybe moving it up to the magic first third of the picture) would have made the photo seem a lot more balanced. if you were able to go back in time and retake the shot, doing that would yield a fairly aesthetically pleasing result.

so, overall, i'm guessing you're kinda new (which is no problem, everyone was at one point, and everyone is a noob to at least someone else's standards), and the shots are kinda like a premature baby of a photo. i can see what you wanted them to be, but you just didn't have enough experience to turn them into that. that's no problem, b/c the more you learn about composition (and the more you critically look at other people's photos, i.e. figuring out what they did right and what they did wrong), you will naturally learn all of these rules. soon, it will all be second nature and you'll be getting laid left and right. so, all in all, don't stop taking pictures and don't be afraid to post stuff here (the criticism is usually harsh but truthful and helpful, and greatly helps in understanding how to increase your skill).

(sorry for the novel, im finding an excuse to skip orgo.)

Pretty colors. Resize moar, and crap each down to something you think has better composition.

Everyone when they're first getting into photography goes through a phase where they take some shots into the sunset and get a nice silhouette against it and they think it's great. After a while, you realize that every shot like this looks like every other shot like this.

So: For what they are, they're fine. But they're up there with closeups of pretty flowers in terms of interestingness.

neither of the photos is bad although the second is better. The sun is a little too bright and attracts too much attention since it's smack dab in the middle. When taking a photo like this it's not the sun you want to highlight but rather the light cast on other objects (trees in this case) by the sun. See if you can shoop it a bit to make the sun less intense. For the second photo, the sky in the uppermost part is blue (no shit!). The blue does not fit with the color scheme of the photo. The solution is as simple as cropping the blue sky out of the photo.
