sup /p/

I have a Canon EOS 3000N and I was wondering if and which telephoto lens are compatible with it.

I'm talking mostly about 400mm+

All Canon's EF lenses are compatible with EOS 3000N. Those ones longer than 400mm tend to be very expensive, though.

You may try to get a catadioptric (mirror) lens with an EOS mount adapter; it will be manual, clunky and the bokeh will look like shit, but it's hard to complain when it costs like $100.
(Not all mirror lenses will fit on the camera, as the flash protrusion can get in the way. Try before you buy)

Canon currently does not make any telephoto lenses that *aren't* compatible with that camera. Like the previous guy said, all of the lenses other than the small selection of EF-S lenses will work.

Be prepared to pay out the nose, though. The only 400+mm lenses are L.

Yes I see that some prices of EF teleobjectives are quite ridiculous(6000$?), but at least I know they are all compatible with my camera.

Thanx ex/p/erts.

If you get a digital SLR to replace your 3000N (at least the lower end models), the crop factor means that lenses like the fairly reasonably priced 70-300mm IS will act like a 480mm telephoto at the long end.

The Canon 100-400 L is now a somewhat reasonable price and is considered a good lens. I was having a browse recently and I noticed the prices have dropped.
