If only there were digital backs for 35mm film SLRs. A digital camera I can hammer nails with would be awesome.

I was contemplating this today wierdly.. why cant we have a film camera that has live view, and can review the shot you just took (for adjustment etc)

The price would be enormous i guess.

It's called having a film camera and a digital camera.

Yes, i have both, but a combo would be convenient, you could check what you caught, wouldnt that be a bonus? even for pros? Or are you just out trolling again...

OP here (for real):

Wondering which ones work well with the system, easy to deal with, make good images, etc.

Been leaning towards the Kodak DCS ProBack just because its affordable - how much better is a Phase One (for the money)?

Who did you have to kill to get the money to afford that?

get a TLR and a tripod

If you want value, go for the Mamiya ZD back. The buffer is slow, but it does put out good files.

If you want the best, get something like a Phase One or a Leaf Aptus. They're the best, but you pay for it out the ass to the tune of $30,000+

I'm sorry, but why do you want to work with huge files? Feel like filling up your hard drive? if it's for a client, I understand, but for personal work, digital MF seems like such overkill. Why not spend the money on a great 35mm kit?

You drive an old Honda Civic, AMIRIGHT?

Honda Elite, actually. 2 fewer wheels than a Civic. Man, I would kill for a Civic. :(
