money from open stocks? Anonymous
How much money can one expect to make by taking picture of popular topics and put them on the different open stock image sites?

Could you live on the royalties if you take and publish a dozen or so decent pics a day?

Anyone doing it? How much does it normally pay, and which types of pics have paid the best?

hard to say, because it's difficult to tell exactly what you're talking about.

Not much, and no you couldn't make a living. Even absolute top-level pros who used to make a good amount sending the leftovers their publications didn't use to stock agencies are hurting becuase of how cheap these stock websites are.

so you think all these amateur pics flooding the net will kill the money that made if possible to live or even get some extra from pics? i dunno really, ive heard it so many times about many sectors and products, but quality always keeps making money, or so it should..

it is "raining" pictures...lots and lots of tomatoes in the market....fewer discerning buyers who know a good tomato from a bad one...OR, just willing to go with "good enough"....
