Dear /p/.
I need your help.
A classmate of mine wants to get into analog photography. So I promised to look out for any SLRs I'd find on yardsales and such. So for 1.25 euro, I found one. It's a Mamiya/Sekor 500TL.
It's really roughed up, but works. It has its charms. How is this camera? I also have a Praktica MTL3. I might swap them, and keep the Mamiya. Are these worth about the same, or would I be better off keeping the MTL3? Or is the Mamiya too hard for a beginner to learn photography?

They're both classic M42 mount cameras, they should both be about the same for a beginner. You don't get much more classic bare metal slr than the mamiya.
Assuming both were in the same cosmetic and working condition, I'd keep the praktica.
