Pentax 50mm f/1.4 Anonymous
Thoughts?

Read nothing but good things! thinking of snapping one up for some portraits and low lighting...

You're going to have to put in quite a bit of effort to find a bad 50/1.4. Go for it.

Good to hear it...

Going out soon to check my balance (been a student sucks ass), then should be dropping the money on this baby. Found it for £169.99, cheapest i can see

It worked fine in Pentax MX when I tested it. Altough the lens looked like plasticy piece of shit, it was actually pretty solid and well-made. Focus ring was pretty well-damped for an AF lens, and it was easy to focus.

I don't know about pictures, because they still sit inside my fridge, but they can't be that bad :)

From examples I've seen this has buttery smooth bokeh and performs well in low light.

Is it autofocus or manual?

Good news then ^_^

I cant say if its auto or manual of the top of my head, but in all honesty, I only use auto when i have my cam in one hand for some reason (been a douche)

All reviews say it beat all the relative competition on quality hands down, even at 1.4

It is autofocus, I believe all FA lenses are.

As for the quality, it is by far the best valued Pentax lens ever made.
