Best in England.

Paying 65g a year for a post secondary education is fucking ridiculous. I'm paying 7.5 and I'm in the second best school in North America for design. There are so many better uses for that money than a piece of paper thats going to give you pretty must the same education as any other decent school. Schools like that parent about the education so much as flexing your parents bank account though I guess. I'm sure they open up more doors, but certainly aren't going to give you 60000$ more worth of education.

Oh I agree that it's fucking rediculous to have to pay that much. I wouldn't either. I'm just replying to what the OP asked.

Also, may I ask where you're going to school? I've also been looking around for schools. Only problem is my grades suck but apparently my portfolio is good enough. Or so say this guy who apparently professionally critiqued my portfolio.

FIT rejected me but that's a SUNY state school which heavily rely on grades.

I don't know why anyone is recommending graphic design over photography where both fields are totally over-saturated. If you love photography and want to go to school for it then go ahead. You'll have a great time. Just be prepared to spend a lot of money on it and not necessarily make a lot of money having a career in photography.

I'm finishing up my BFA in photography and I absolutely love going to school every day and taking photos. It costs a ton of money but I don't care because I love it. I probably won't make a lot of money when I graduate but I don't care because I love taking photographs. Just like any art-related field, you have to be passionate about your work otherwise you will not be happy or successful in it.

Amen

I love photography, I just love taking pictures of anything.
I want to go to a school and meet other people like me and get more professional experience,
while at the same time just having fun taking pictures and learning new things.

All creative fields are oversaturated.

Fine arts, concept design, graphic design, fashion design, music of any kind, photography, web, film school, whatever.

Isn't it great?

Pick whichever you like, LOVE IT on a daily basis, spend the most of your day doing it. And succeed. Because even though most people claim to be something, only very few truly are.

Most of us just sit here gaming and browsing forums.

Whichever school you go to, this is the key. From the poorest to th richest. Even the most experienced pro teacher ever can't make you someone, schools are just for reference.
