inspiration for all you photographers with just compacts out there. pretty amazing stuff, considering that the A620 is about $130 retail.

picture vaguely related because it's one of my favorites taken with my A80.

$130? shit, I got mine for like $250, I feel so ripped off!
>> Anonymous
Yeah it's not $130 anywhere. I'm not sure what Anonymous is talking about.

I also ought to mention I'm not disappointed in the camera, it's just that the price threw me
>> Anonymous
yeah, my bad. it was about 200 bucks retail, and it's big brothers the A630 and A570 are about 190 now. either way, they're cheap fucking cameras.

This just serves to show that it's the photographer, not the camera. The person who took the shots in that obviously knows how to create a correct exposure and is able to recognize good lighting and composition.
>> notaphotograph
woah yeah there are great photos in this gallery! really :D
that s what I wanted to see in the best shot with crappy camera thread.
but many are shopped too much tho.

he's cheating...using HDR
you can only says it's the camera or photographer so much because HDR allows the kind of intense results not possible with almost any other method
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
What makes you think he's doing HDR? They look like normal night exposures to me...

Yeah, that's exactly right. That's why I posted it, as inspiration for people for who feel like they're being held back by their camera. thx

I give him credit for the single shots [the un-shopped ones mind you]...but quite a few of the night and mirror dome shots are hdr
read the details...it's all there
don't get me wrong tho...canon makes a mean point-and-shoot
