Advices needed Julien
Hi everyone!

I plan to buy a camera before the end of the year, but I have no idea what I should go for, or what characteristics are important to consider. I would like to buy a good camera that could last me for years. Price max. would be $1000 (less is good!). Would you have any advices for me please, I need help!

Thanks in advance.

You have to gauge your familiarity with a camera. You can do a lot with 1000 dollars. If you're just a beginner, I don't think you'll need to spend that much for something like a compact Nikon or Canon camera. You will only need to spend over 1000 if you are trying to delve in to the dSLR arena. Also you need to consider what sort of photography you will be doing (potraits, landscape, low-light/night, macro). Some are better than others. If you're just going around and taking pictures for family occasions or social events, almost ANY compact camera will do. I don't think that /p/ can help you with anything until you help yourself first.
