Your Camera is a P&S and has only one lens built into it, So you need to rely on the camera's settings to acheive this (short of using a "close up filter, which is just a magnifying glass really" So if your camera has a macro mode, enter into that, otherwise you are left with its regular focusing distance. Most P&S's focus differently depending on how much you zoom, so try aat wide angle first, and then zoom all the way in and see how close your camera focus's.
if you have manual focus its easy to see the distance scales, but i don't think your camera can do that.
