OP here, go into the cbd and explore the lane ways. especially around china town (little bourke street) and the 'french' end of collins street and little collins street. make sure you go down the smaller lane ways that run in between the main streets. also there is brunskwick street, a short tram ride on the 112 from collins street heading up the hill. lygon and rathdown street (little itali) beautiful parks and grand old victorian houses. lygon and rathdown streets are in carlton, if you have the time spend a whole day walking and exploring that area. the choices for food and photos are endless.
if i had a real camera i would be more willing to take more photos. all i have is a sony cybershot. i make do with what i have in photoshop.
