There are some days where I'm either not enthusiastic about shooting or I am not thinking and screw up some shots that would otherwise be good with little technical details.
It's all part of the learning process - just note down what you screwed up and try to remember it next time.
I'm in a photo club here at University and every week or so we go out somewhere and take a bunch of shots. Even if I'm not in the mood to take pics, I still go and find that what I take usually isn't too good. I have to be really enthusiastic about it to take good shots.
