Hello /p/,

I'm trying to take a multiple exposure picture using a film camera (its an Olympus OM-1). I want to make the objects in the film opaque. Could anyone recommend a shutter speed that wold help me achieve this. Also since the speed is going to have to be longer than one second would aperture be an issue in a relatively well lit place? I hope I'm not leaving anything out. Any advice/ resources would be appreciated.

I did leave things out. I'm shooting with a 50mm lens and I currently have a roll of 400 speed film in the camera.

I don't think you understand how multiple exposures work...

The only way to have all objects look opaque (AKA not see through at ALL)
is to have a pitch black background around your subject and to have no overlap between images.

Good luck with that....

it's hard to line up frames with the om1.

so set up a tripod, take two exposures, and put them together in photoshop or in the darkroom.
