Hey /p/, I just bought this camera. 1.3mp sensor, 1.6" LCD screen on the back for $60. 8mb internal memory and a 1gb SD card. Was this a good buy? y/n

I forgot to mention, I'll mostly be shooting landscapes and nature for now. Later I'll probably get a DSLR and use this as my backup and general walkaround when I don't want to carry the DSLR around.

Nope. For twice as much you can get a camera that is significantly better than 1.3 MP. I would have to say that 4 MP would be good enough to make 4x6 or even 8x10 prints. Maybe you can get wallet size prints with 1.3?

Don't be overly cheap with cameras. They should last you a fair amount of time before replacing it and it'll be a good investment in the long run.
>> Anonymous
I would say no.

1MP is just too small. You can get mobile phones with 5MP cameras built in.

lol, obvious trolling is obvious

My first digital camera had:
1MP sensor
1.6" LCD
2MB onboard memory
Cost $250

So yeah, this sounds like an awesome deal. Good job.

in before superzoom 123!

/r/ superzoom 123 for trolling later

I've seen those cameras before. I know this was a joke but they are actually really great for kids if anyone is considering it or has kids or nephews they want to get a present for. Practically invincible so they can drop it and play with it at all ages and you don't have to worry too much. I think there's a couple of brands, but they work well for the purpose.

Obsessive hobbies are easy to troll. Insult someone's car, gun or PC and it's like insulting a man's penis. People get all worked up about it and will defend it to the hilt as the holy scripture.

Oddly enough, I bought this camera to upgrade from my superzoom 321. I didn't think my skill level was high enough to warrant a DSLR just yet, but I did feel the superzoom 321 was holding me back. The superzoom has a really nice optical zoom range, but the image quality isn't that good. At least with the Fisher-Price Kid Tough, I can lower the ISO to get really clean pictures. It also has a tripod mount so I can get better landscapes. It also has dual viewfinders, it's badass.

Does anyone have the other Superzoom 321 shot?

Also, this one wins the thread.

Considering I own the camera, I could post another picture of it. Don't know why you'd want another though.

How do they dare to charge $60 for 1.3MP. Okay, it's for kids, but still.

Though I like the view-master idea they used.
