hai /p/

I just finished off my first roll of 35mm film ever. I've used digital for the longest time; only got to play with 110 and aps-c film sometimes when I was a kid.

For my experiment, I used a shitty plastic camera from the 1970s or 80s without any sort of metering system and no controls (not even focus control) other than a crappy aperture control from F6 to F16.

So /p/, I ask you. If I'm stuck with F6 to F16 and a fixed exposure time of what looks like 1/100, what film do you suggest I try out next if I can get my hands on it?

Last I tested was common corner store Fuji Superia X-tra 400. Where to now?

Crossprocessed slide film? Which brand/type/speed?
More iso400 Superia?
Doubly-exposed slides?

What do you think?

Sounds fun, if I can find it.

Are you going to tell lomographers that shit? It's a fucking experiment on a fucking toycamera.

most here probably would because /p/ can't stand lomography for some reason. To each their own.

Not saying it's impossible, I've just read that slide film isnt as forgiving as color reversal about over or underexposure at all. Maybe I could use a digital camera as my light meter if I pick one of those up. It would feel a bit like cheating, but professionals would shoot polaroids to preview lighting/metering back in the day.

A complete well-exposed slide filmstrip might look really sweet.

I forgot to ask, does crossprocessed slide film remain transparent?

Well duh, else you can't see an image.

If you've only shot one roll, don't do anything stupid like xpro, slides, or double exposures.
Learn to take pictures first. More superia would do you good.

i didnt really notice that as much, it isnt completely forgiving but it isnt like holey shit picky. velvia looks amazing in comparison to just color negative film

Oh, I'll certainly shoot more superia, I'm just curious about those other two things, which I can't do 'natively' on digital
