/p/, I need to do some model photography for my portfolio. There's a cute girl I work with, but don't know very well, should I ask her!?!??

What are some other ways to do get models? Other then friends, because they've already said no!

Do you already have some model work done, or do you need to do something for the first time? Sign up on model mayhem, it worked for me, then upload some of the pictures you already have, sit back and wait for models to contact you (also what i did.. and for those of you who are wondering, I will post pictures from a photoshoot when I get back from vacation and can scan them in).

You'd be surprised how many contacts and offers you get through a website like that.

if all else fails, go sign up on myspace and get a couple scene girls who love to get their photo taken. They'd never say no.

I have no model shots, only live shots from music shows. I want to expand my portfolio to send to university.

Also I don't know how a website like model mayhem would work, since i'm from a small town, and about an 1 from any major urban center.

I will try the scene kid thing though!

I'm assuming you are a senior in HS?

Real models are probably out of your league right now for financial reasons and that you are younger than them, but scene girls are really the way to go. Start with a friend/friend's friend, then begin to make a portfolio of model work that you can show off to potential models so that you don't just look like a creep with a camera.
