good pose, justifiable B&W. really reminds me of an outdoors fashion shoot for some reason.

>>200597
not so great. pose looks very uncomfortable and fake. Angle is also unflattering. colors a bit oversaturated IMO.

>>200598
nice and natural. looks like he (or she?) just came out of the water and plopped down on the ground.

I know what you mean about the second photo, I've been struggling to save it because the subject did in fact go through a lot of trouble to try and do those poses--not a very good tree to do any nifty balancing acts on. She's happy with the results so far, however, but I'll keep working on it.

Also your comment on the third picture is actually really interesting, and makes sense now that I look at it again.

Thanks for response! :D

What the fuck is that thing at the right?

Lightroom residue. I screencapped the image straight out of lightroom and that circle thing is an indicator of where a change was made using brushes--I decreased the exposure in certain areas to help balance out the light.

Why would you even make a screenshot of a pic you're editing when you can just save the pic when you're done?
I like the photo, but that is just horribly distracting.

I screenshot it to save quickly and upload here, my apologies. :P

Definitely the first shot. Dynamism and deserves the insta-art B&W.

Awesome, thanks man. :)

I think the shadow on the face of the first one ruins it. Otherwise, the composition is good.

Btw, these aren't portraits. They are just pictures of people. Portraits are pictures of the face or head.

Face and expression is predominant. That is all. Full-body portraits are damn well done - look at family portraits.

Those would be headshots, commonly used in fashion or the arts (specifically theater, for show programs and such).

Could have been a good one. Needs fill flash or maybe even a large reflector. Lose the viginette.

huh? I thought the facial expression on the 3rd one looked faked for the camera.
