as a longtime connoisseur of porn, I've noticed that many images from porn websites contain the EXIF data from the pornographers.

Out of curiosity, what camera models and equipment are popular amongst the smut peddling elite?

I use a Canon Digital Rebel XTi for most of my smut nowadays, with a Canon PowerShot A95 as backup. I don't know what other people use.

I like the idea that the Canon eos mark iii something can shoot 10 photos per second for a total of 110 consecutive 10.1 megapixels shots.

That's useful for porn alright
>> mrdevon
on some of those super hi-res, high quality art-porn type sites i've seen some Hasselblad use.

I'm sure there are people who can't fap to porn pics that don't say "Hasselblad" in the EXIF.

Most porn pics lack EXIF

Not a big fan of porn, but just wanted to comment on how funny it is that you guys are checking the exif data of such pictures.

THIS IS SPA--- I mean, this is 4chan /p/, what do you expect? We fap to HDR and megapixels, not porn pics.
Pic related.

See, porn is the whole reason I got into photography in the first place...

Anyway, sometimes it's an interesting shot and you want to know how they got it. Or, sometimes, it's a crappy shot and you wonder the same thing. Like I've got some porn opened in another window right now that's a little bit blurry and fuzzy, and I'm wondering if it's from a crappy camera, a crappy lens, deliberately crappyfying it (e.g., with a photoshop filter), or whatever.

No EXIFs on this site, though, so I just have to wonder.

lol actually i used to do this too ^_^; why wouldn't you want some insight into how your favorite pics are made?

Used to be they bought the pro bodies because the shutters were rated for more frames. Now, they may simply buy digital rebels and the like, and buy a new one when it starts acting up. Dunno.

For a lot of the harlot-with-a-website sites, it's whatever...usually some prosumer camera.

Protip: look at how good the lighting is. Bad lighting? They're probably skimping on the camera gear too.
