could be much worse..he could be a 400d/d40 fag

nothing wrong with the k100. cheap as chips, feels nice, SR is fantastic.

if it were not for the lack of long fast glass to support it, it would be a winner.

if your into primes and low light photography, the k100 is hard to beat.

hell, i have a k10d and envy the iso 1600 of the k100d

You could hunt down on ebay the longer FA lenses. They'll work perfectly with the camera, and the crop factor will make them even longer!

Just kidding. There's realy nothing wrong with a Pentax, but why you'd buy one over a canon or a nikon is a mystery to me. SLRs are serious business

I actually have a Sigma 55-200mm for it as well... They suit my purpose... I use the equipment for my graphic course more than photography... and if I'm not happy with the shot... I'll shop it... you can tell from he pixels and having see many shops in your time...

That's part of why I went with the K10D. :)

I bought K10D a few months ago because it was the best value (for me) under $1,000. I managed to get the body, 18-55, 50-200, 4 GB SD card, camera bag, USB 2.0 SD card reader (yeah, they're under $10, but it was nice to have), battery grip, spare battery, and some software for about $1,000 after mail-in rebate. I'll be trying to talk my father into getting a EOS 5D or 40D (or D300). There are some nice lenses out there, contrary to what some might say.
