Which dslr/p&s got built-in pixel mapping besides oly? I returned/exchanged 6-7 new canon G9 due to pixel problems, so now I only use oly dslr.

what the fuck, are you really that desperate

i read that all software detects and 'removes' stuck pixels in RAW.

My K100d has a couple of stuck pixels, but they never appear once the raw image has been processed.

Nice, but I rarely use RAW that much. I'm kind of lazy to process...

lulz i also returned/exchanged a few new nikon d40 w/ pixel problems that could have been easily fixed if there's a built-in pixel mapping.

Yes I know I can just send it back to the manufacturer and have them service it (remap the sensor) and then wait for ages to get it back.

Who the hell enjoys doing that? Too much hassle! Thats why I'm stuck with Oly, but I'm satisfied.

Shame that it is still an Olympus and Olympus=instafail.
>> OiD
what exactly is pixel mapping anyway?
>> Anonymous
you realize every sensor has hot pixels, right

fucking retard

>>175677

I'm coming from a p&s with puny sensor to an Oly 4/3, so I doubt I failed that much.

Ya it sux to be a pixel peeper, but who said I have pixel problem? After I switched with Oly, I dont worry about that any longer.

I'm just asking if there's any other camera manufacturer other than Oly that has built-in pixel mapping in their camera.
