Hi /p/, i've just called for the repair of my 50mm MKI f/1.8, and they are going to charge me (or not) 70 usd for the repair of my lens.. just some random "will not focus" stuff.. the point is i paid for it 150 usd (LA fag)
I don't know if it's better to repair it, or sell the deffective lens (most likely dont) at almost the same price and get a nifty fifty brand new... i'd rather not selling it because it's a very close community, but i think i can sell it anyway. BTW, a 50mm MKII new here costs 120usd.

What should i do, /p/?

Sell it for on ebay as an "As-is" product that needs repairing, you'll get around $100-$120 there.

Then buy a 50mm 1.4.
