Wireless remote question Tails
Buying a wireless remote this week. From my research, I've found that some people will use any universal remote (i.e. just grab some off-brand piece of crap from Ebay for $5), while others say you need your camera's brand.

I shoot a Pentax K200D. Anyone have experience? I'm doing this mainly for the bulb shots of night storms, so I'd love to get one that didn't make my physically hold down the button for 200 seconds...

It's not wireless and I don't think the K200D takes the same plug-in adapter, but for what it's worth I use a sync cord from one of my flashes with my 400D. It's a 10' long cable, I just cut one end of it off and soldered a button between the two wires and stuck all of that in an empty film container. Autofocus doesn't work with only two wires, but I usually just compose and then plug it in and push the button.

bulb mode doesnt work with wireless remotes

Got a cheaper solution, just take a few 30 second exposures and blend them in Photoshop later to get the same effect as a bulb exposure.
