Hey

Shit sucks

But I'm getting an A-1 soon to replace the one I broke last year. The broken one is getting fixed too, so I'll have a camera to help friends start out with. Gotta get back into practice so I'll be around here lots. Any suggestions of film for night time shooting? Budget is fairly large at the moment, summer jobs are great. I usually use Fuji Superia 200 asa. It's impossibe to get stuff any slower out here in suburbia, but I'm going to downtown Toronto this weekend, so I'll stop by a henry's and stock up. I plan on going through atleast 10 rolls a week this summer. Lots of shooting while I have time

Comments on picture are welcome, It was an experiment at christmas last year. Gonna try that again in the town's industrial district next week or the one after when I get the new camera.

Oh. In that case, pic related (maybe not to your camera)

Damn, that could have been awesome. Shoot it again with tripod and post on /p/.

Remote cords should be a must with long exposures, but TIMER mode is also pretty good, press shutter... hands off, a few seconds... voila

Had to hold the shutter button? So you were shooting in bulb mode?

The Canon A1 (which I assume from your post you shot this with) has shutter modes up to and including 30 seconds. Was half a minute not long enough?

Surprisingly, no. I was experimenting with different lengths of exposure that night, and was also training my hands. As I said in the OP it was an experiment, not a final product.

Read above. It was with a tripod, just my hands had to be on the shutter button and it's cold up here in Soviet Canuckistan.

Fixing with one of these soon.
