This made me lol. In other news, women's basketball, while still fun to shoot, is so much worse than men's. As a self-identified feminist, I still have to say that men are just better at the sport.

ooooh you bastards hahahah... man you're gonna all get bitch slapped when someone says nappy headed.... yeah...

I don't agree with the Men being better at Women at sports...

i definitely prefer female gymnastics to male.

It is, its just a judged sport.
Sport has the loosest definition ever, Technically Bowling and Golf are sports...

High ISO is hhiiigghhhh... These are grainier than sandpaper; although, the first is a pretty well framed shot.

Welcome to the D200 :(

1250 ISO. The grain really doesn't matter for newspaper publication, though. The newsprint absorbs all that detail and shit anyways. I could be shooting at ISO 3200 and you wouldn't know it unless it ran half sheet.

We just got strobes hooked up in the Erwin Center, though, so for future games, we'll have some sweet lighting action. I really want us to get one of those crazy manfrotto clamps so we can rig a remote camera to get some impossible shots.

are you guys gonna get some of the new bodies?

We really want to, but I think we used this semester's budget on a brand new 300mm f/2.8 VR and two HD videocameras. :(

HD. For web. I don't get it. Oh well. :(

We'll probably wait until the 2nd wave of D300s start coming in. We can't really afford to be cutting edge and incur the possible bugs and shit that accompany fresh product releases.

I'm crossing my fingers for a D3 to replace our aged D2h and D300s to replace our D200s. :D

aww too bad. im sure the 300vr kicks ass though. and yeah, hd for web makes no sense. you couldve gotten a powershot a630 or something for video and it woulda been fine lol
>> heavyweather !4AIf7oXcbA

hah... funny you mention that, because that's EXACTLY what we had before we got these sweet cameras.

I can actually understand the idea behind HD. We can pull frames that are big enough for publication, if it comes to that.

thats true i guess. interlacing/interpolating might make it kinda shitty though depending on how you guys do it or whatever, but i guess whatever works
