Since we're talking about composition...
Your first one can stand to have a bit more in the bottom left area of the frame. The empty space in that area is distracting, and it seems this photo could've benefitted from having the flower extend all the way to that corner.

The second one could definately be composed better. Try not to have that much empty space in your photographs unless it really helps contrast your subject.
