You will also probably be expected to do other shots as well. Posed shots of bridesmaids with bride or huge group shots of everyone being together. If you are the main photographer, then I probably would decline. If you are working in conjunction with a professional photographer, then it'd be good practice.
If you are going to take this on in any degree, I would suggest you borrow a lot of picture books and find out what wedding pictures really entails. Goals are to beautify the bride of course and express the joy of everyone involved. Personally, this is a very overwhelming task for me, since I normally take pictures of landscapes and such.
