can somebody name a good software to make panorama pics with?
the most important feature should be that it fixes the slight fisheye-form of the pics before merging them into one

pic unrelated

PTGui can do everything you need. If it still ends up wrong, he problem is the way you took the photos

I have been using the PTGui for a while, and my far landscape pictures turn out perfectly.

But for my pano pictures of stuff closer than 75 feet, i have been having trouble matching them up perfectly. I have a 28-135mm lens and keep it all the way down to 28, would it help any to get a 17 or 18mm lens? The middle of the picture matches, but the top and bottom edges are off some. I tried a tripod which helps some, but still doesnt eliminate this. I tried 2-3 rows of pictures stacked which helps some more...but i just cant eliminate the problem...

also, what are some tips to help with wind. if i have a tree/bush/flower or anything wiggly that the wind can manipulate, they never match up and look blurry. i try to put the 'seams' of the pano on stationary stuff but i cant always do this

sounds like a usual problem. you have to think in layers, just like there are layers of objects, areas in the three-dimensional world surrounding you. so the problem is that the camera catches only a two-domensional picture of the scene and while looking in a slightly different direction some more, or less of the backgraund bekomes visible for the camera... it's pretty hard to get a "multi-layer" or rather "muldi-depth" pano look perfect.

Don't use wides for panoramas. There's too much distortion along the edges to stitch properly.

don't use wide angle lenses and shoot panoramas with your camera portrait oriented. Also, look for your nodal point to swivel on.

if you don't know what that means, go study
