Ya I made the mistake of leaving the camera on Aperture Priority, (So the exposure adjusted for each shot) There was many hours spent trying to smooth out the exposures to look somewhat realistic. That was as far as I got...

Also made the mistake of taking the pic at 18mm on my 18-200mm lens (Best lens for skiing ever, Cause the lighting is always awesome), Anyway nasty distortion and a lot of time fixing the glitches in my friends and the Arch behind them...

Pic unrelated and related at the same time

I meant that the right side alone would make a great pictures. Panoramics are overrated.

Could you post a high-res version of that? I'd like to use it as my wallpaper.

So uh, how does one make a panorama, besides the postwork?

buy a Fuji 617 lol

There is nothing special about doing it when taking the pics,
Meter the area, Set the camera to manual (So the exposure doesn't change) Take a ton of pics with roughly 20% overlap, and stitch it together.

Autostitch
Ptgui
Photoshop CS3
All do a decent job, PTGui has always been my fav but I hear CS3 is super fast.

Awesome pics.
Really love the dynamic range of>>78274

1/4 to 1/3rd overlap strongly suggested unless everything you're shooting is far away, or you're on a leveled tripod.

dunno, 20% seems to work okay for him.

20% is more of a minimum, Especially for wide angle lenses. I rarely do pano's at focal lengths wider than 30mm, But sometimes All I have is my 10-20mm (Where 14mm (21mm equiv) has the least distortion).

Pic continuing with thread. Also I realize the border is lame, and the text is lamer. But its an inside joke, and a Border adds to the extremeness of Width to height Ratio (While keeping it 3:1 printable)
