First photo that I´ve ever posted. I did this for a basic B&W class and wanted to know what anonymous people over the internet thought. Unfortunately I don´t have any adobe applications so this is from a Wal-Mart film scan without adjustments.

At first I was like 'Its a fucking tank, lame' when I saw the thumbnail. Then I loaded it and was like 'That is a pretty nice photo'

Truth.

This shot works really nicely, the film grain gives it a nice historic feel, immediately think of a small 50's town (as above, yeah fallout def). Got any more from around there? one showing more town would be cool.

This is actually one of the few black and white photos that i like in this forum at least for today or now.

Looks like my Slovene dentist's office.

wow, I didn´t expect anything nice to be said. I could´t maneuver to get more of the town in the picture but it´s less cold now than it was when I took the shot so I may go back up there to try to take one from an angle that has more town in it by climbing a tree.

i like a lot,the contrast of the big round shape and the tiny houses in the backgound. maybee i liked it even more if the city would be a bit less foggy. or is it just the grain?
what iso did you use?. could have been less...
if you can, go there again, with a less grainy film...

have you learned the rule of thirds? is this a poor attempt at breaking said rule?

What´s the rule of thirds?

Wow, this a great photo. A tad bit grainy, but that adds to the overall vintage feel of it. All in all, an excellent photo.

Not bad. I'm not so sure about the composure, and the lines on the tank tend to draw the eye towards the top, which is a tad uninteresting, but it looks like you had a good idea here.

I like this one too, but it shares the same problems at the first, in that, I'm not really sure what the focus of the picture is. E.g., what's the first thing that you wanted the viewer to see in the photo?
