x-pro means cross process.
it is where you process the film in the 'wrong' chemicals.
For example, you develop slide film in C-41 chemicals (thats intended for colour print film) or you develop colour print film in E-6 chemicals (thats intended for slide films).

cross processing slide film in C-41 is by far the most common because you can do it in any store that does colour prints.
