i disagree. sometimes having a lot going on in the frame is great. it really depends on what the photographers intentions were.

not every photo has to be a poster boy for the rule of thirds to be good.

You can thank the EF 50mm f/1.4 for that. It has some great contrast. Seems to have a nice, rich feel when it's wide open, although it's quite soft.

By the way, these were taken during a 10-hour C-130 flight. One of the most uncomfortable travel experiences I've ever had.

Really like this shot, it's busy but at the same time there's so much to look at. Composition is solid as well.
