I'm no photo expert, but here's my amateur opinion on it...

I liked that you reduced the amount of action in the image by focusing on the one woman, kind of eliminating all of the blonds in the picture, but I really would have liked to see her much more clearly. The extra people can definitely be blurred, but she's already the focus of the photo, so why make her seem ghostly?

The black and white worked well, I think. I can't say what the clothing looked like at the show, but I imagine it was colorful, which might have detracted from the image, which seems to be presenting the woman in a sort of "timeless beauty" way.

I like this pic. Reminds me of work by Ralph Eugene Meatyard. He did a lot of work with motion that produced very spectral looking subjects. He also loved to have deep contrast like yours. You should check him out if you're looking for inspiration (disclaimer: his work is a little crazy, and might be slightly disturbing if you're not used to unconventional photography, but he was really a genius photographer.)

Oh Meatyard. How wonderfully his name fits his work.

Anyways, did you dodge out the woman in the foreground? The weird lighting around her right arm seems unnatural to me. I also feel like a tighter crop on woman would be better. The space just seems way to empty.
