Yeah, I do that too sometimes. I always tell myself I'll never drink that much again, but then Sunday rolls around and it's time for church and the damn Communion sends me on a bender again...
>> Ridge
Very cool...what was the exposure time?

Forgot my name again.
and for some reason I used ISO 200. I forgot to change I should have used 50 or even 100.
>> Anonymous
Why the photos are blurry crap? I get sharp photos with a tripod.
>> else !L6xabslN96
>>81963
dat's not blur, its grainy.

ah, so noise reduction killed all the details
>> else !L6xabslN96
>>81969
ok so apparently he's not using noise reduction. mebbe it was windy and the tripod wasnt very sturdy... lol.
>> Anonymous
or maybe the bridge (?) he was standing on vibrated too. it's usually pretty hard to take photos with a tripd on a bridge, because of the vibrations caused by traffic etc.

same issue when you are on a ship, engine's vibrations ruin sharpness :P
>> else !L6xabslN96
>>82029
ok i dont know if you're actually serious, or trolling now. thats some freaky shit you'd find in /x/.

a ship i can understand, but a massive vibrating bridge??? OP care to give us some answers?
>> Sicko !L3HRY/miC.
>>82033

I'm sure he means really minor vibrations which only affect a 10 second+ exposure. Although I'd put my bet on wind rather than that, depending on how sturdy OPs tripod was.

Totally unavoidable but the telephone wires detract from the photo to me.
>> Anonymous
>>82037

Well, the exposures he used were 10-30s, you never know :P And of course I'm being serious!

Wind is another alternative too, altough hanging something heavy (like your camera bag, or tripod bag filled with stones, whatever you have in hand ;) to the tripod usually helps.

Btw, why reshoot because of a scratched filter? Did the scratch really show in picture so much that it mattered? Scratches just usually lower contrast/cause a bit of flare etc; nothing serious.

i like the car in the brake stream that changed lanes towards the top of the frame

Never shot photos like this before. ND filter would be handy.

Woops.. that had grain, which wasn't supposed to be there. It doesn't really matter, but here's another version anyways.

I also should have shot it 30s f22, but whatever :-D

Also be careful not to move camera when 'clicking'. See the streetlights for details.

whatever you do, dont try to force that thing to fold up. once one of the bulbs pop out they arent stiff enough to support anything. they said they would replace it but i never sent it back.

yeah, to get it tight around the headrest in the car, (or rather, the metal poles when the headrest is extended), i had to bend it pretty tight, and was afraid of breaking it. I'll keep that in mind.
