Do you guys have any great camera to recommend under 400$. I've thought about the Sony T100. Dunno much about it though.

Go for the Canon 3S IS, best pre-DSLR for like $294 on the internet 6 Mp but lots of stuff to do with it

get a used dSLR. you can get a decent body and kit lens and sometimes more lenses for less than a new s3 IS. besides, I have the S3 IS and it is NOT the friend of someone who is pursuing photography seriously. i get so frustrated with its limitations sometimes.

QFT. If you want the best quality images and you're really serious about photography, you can get a used dSLR for under $400.

Alternately, if you're just looking for a good camera to have with you for taking snapshots, I'd go with a Canon PowerShot A630.
