hey /p/

whats your favorate films?

I like to use Fuji NPH 400 for my colour negs.
Kodak BW400CN for my B&W (coz its cheap C-41)
and for colour reversal, i like to use Fuji Velvia 100F and Kodak Ektachrome E100VS.

For my Medium Format i love to use Kodak Portra 400VC for colour negs. and Fuji Velvia 50 for colour reversal

I like Fuji NPS for color in all formats (35mm through 4x5), and for B&W I tend to shoot Kodak TX and TXP (both called "Tri-X" but are different emulsions) in medium format and TX or Fuji Neopan 1600 for 35mm. TXP for 4x5 B&W.

Like the OP, Fuji Velvia 100F.
For B&W's, depending on the situation, either Ilford Plus 50 or Ilford 100. When going for grainy, Kodak Tmax 400 is a pretty nice choice.

Sandisk ultra II 1GB :P

seriously, they only film i've bothered with recently has been some infrared film, and velvia, which i cross processed.

Velvia 100F is dull. it's more Provia then Velvia. use what's left of the stock of Velvia 50, or try to get your hands on the new Velvia 100

Provia 400F is quite nice. for B/W I go for Fuji Acros (neopan 100) and Tri-x

I mostly use NPS and press 800 for colour negatives. They've changed NPS to Pro 160S, I hope the change is simply in name, not emulsion; I haven't been able to shoot the new stuff.
Chrome is usually Velvia 100F
BW is tri-x pan and 400CN

Vericolour III/VPS was my favourite film but kodak killed it.

as far as i know, Fuji has just changed the name, i still end up calling them by their old names still.
the other day i picked up a propack of Vericolour III 120 for very cheap because it was 6 years expired haha, i wonder how its going to come out.

i dont know how you say Velvia 100F is dull, i find its very vivid ingreens and skin tone.but i must say the Velvia 50 is simply lovely, i only use that chrome for medium format

I had a source that dried up probably 3 years after it got discontinued and the results were the same. They were fridged though.

the only good thing about Velvia 100F is that it handles skins tones better indeed :)

its too much low-contrast otherwise. I should get my hands on some 100 to check it out

Kodak TMAX, usually 400 but sometimes 100 or P3200

Seconded for T-MAX, 100 and 400, 35mm. When I'm not shooting digital anyway.

Yeah, exactly. I haven't really found other films that I liked as much as the T-Max (though the Fuji Neopan is *ok*)

I wish Agfa still made paper though...that stuff ruled. No curl :(

yeah i can vouch for the velvia 100. its got all the things i like about 50 but doesnt have the annoying green and expential calcs for long exposures.

for BnW i'm a big fan of Hp4.. hp5 doesnt seen to give the depth. I've got a few propacks of delta400 now but I havn't processed any yet.
