And two stop pushes are fine. Noise is a part of a photograph, and people are used to seeing it. It's fine. Move on.
If the idea of a two-stop push is conceptually discomforting, buy an old meterless SLR and some T-Max or Delta 3200, and an f/1.2 or 1.4 lens. Shoot it wide open, set the shutter speed to the slowest speed you're comfortable with. Hand it off to someone else for developing and printing, with instructions just to yield a correct-looking exposure. For all you know, they were pulled.
