Took this at the Obama campaign HQ opening in Austin... it was a madhouse.

Does anyone see a secondary, implied image in this photo? I didn't see it while I was composing it (maybe I did subconsciously), I shit brix when I was editing.

Like the inside of a slave ship?

The guy in the back is the master, and the guys up front are the slaves?

Jeez dude, what equipment were you using (you work for your school paper right)? That's some crispy stuff right there. It could pass for a movie still.

Correctamundo, but this is my personal gear, ghettotastic D50 and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. It's really an impressive piece of glass.

It's giving me wideaholism, too. I'd say I shoot 75% of my stuff at 17mm nowadays... is there a way to get a chart of focal length usage? I'd be interested to see how I use my zoom.

Okay, so, spoilers. Does anyone else see a flag in this image? Texas flag, American flag, I think they both work.

Luring? I've seen those bitches snatch sandwiches from unsuspecting hands. Someone probably turned to sneeze and turned back and noticed all his fries were gone.

I also wanted something like that to see if I actually need a zoom, being on linux I made this script

for a in *.jpg; do exiftool $a ; done | grep 'Focal Length' | grep 'equivalent' | cut -d' ' -f23 | sed -r 's/\.0mm//g' | sort -n | awk 'BEGIN{r=0;c=""} {if($1==c){ r+=1 }else{ print r " " c ; c=$1 ; r=0 } } END{print r " " v " " c}'

It just prints a list of focal lengths sorted and their respective count

Man, I need to learn AWK one of these days.

QFT. I once saw one swoop in and grab a pickle out of a burger that someone was literally taking a bite of from the other end.

I had to learn awk for a job once. I was laid off a month or so later and never bothered with it again.

Eh, sort of is the whole image. I dunno, I saw the composition after I had shot it, while editing, and I may or may not have been a little blazed, so I'm sure that played into it.

I have been looking at this image for about a day and could not see what was weird with it until you drew the flag.
It's safe to say you were blazed out of your mind.
>> fence !!POey2hdozCZ

i spent 10 minutes scrutinizing the reflection, the computer screen, everything for an american flag yesterday. i came back this morning and instantly saw it, i scrolled down and you confirmed it.

i shat the great wall of china, needless to say. my brain is mossy with ideas now. imagine a whole series with flags implied by the composition. gragghghshshshs. i'm stealing this idea.

Lay off the fucking grass, there is no flag in that picture.

Yeah, I thought the paper might've been the field, but then I looked over and saw nothing. Still don't see how those lines form a flag too well.
