Oh calm down I'm just trying to get some adivise and suggestions.

The lighting is really off and kills it for me. Sorry.
>> beaumont
>>279076

Fair enough. what would you do to make it better?
>> Anonymous
>>279081

I don't like the disembodied head. Composition feels messy and unplanned. Looks like someone else was holding the camera and shot it from the hip and missed the subject.

>>279063

Two tone lighting by accident or was it deliberate? Feels too closely cropped and I don't like the positioning of the face so far to the left. Lighting is dull and flat and unbalanced. Exposure wrong.

>>279064

Animals are always cute. Why did you cut the tips of the ears off? I can see the edge of the backdrop and what appears to be the stand holding it. Lighting feels flat.

>>279067

Dead space on the left and MySpace style self-portraits by shooting at arms length? FFFFFFFFFFFFFF
>> beaumont
>>279087

Well i cant agree with you more about the 'my space' picture. It was just a 'cute' moment for us.

As for>>279061It was shot on a timer so I didn't really get to plan the composition very fully but I will work on it in the future.

>>279063I see where you are coming from with the subject being to far to the left, and the light was in fact intentional. I thought it would be fun to do something a little different.

>>279064The light stand and the ear chop were all my fault. I was almost shooting at random trying to catch that 'one good' pose you get from most animals. Although I love the pose and expression of the dog, I wish I would have kept it's ears in frame, the bg could be fixed with a well placed crop. Pointless as it would be.

Thanks for the critique, I'll try to keep that all in mind.

Anyone else want to pitch in anything? I'm open to all suggestions.

One more centered. Light not much different. crop is still close. But maybe this is a little closer to what you may be looking for.
