What does /p/ think? Too generic? I like the way the colors came out.

sucks

yes

lrn2photoshop, colors are dull as fuck

man, i do love the IQ of the G9.

the blown out background doesn't flatter the image... always remember that the background colors/shapes are still very important even when shooting semi macro/close up stuff.
ignore anon above, since it's not the lack of photoshop that hurts the image.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm still learning composition... slowly.

G9 has amazing quality for its tiny size. Just amazes me every time.
Levels/curves do not make every photo better or more interesting.

you have pretty fucking low standards if you're calling that good quality

one of the worst picture for image quality i've seen from a g9

who the fuck said anything about making it better, it will at least make the colors less lifeless as they are now

My camera with a 1/2.5" 7 megapixel sensor (the G9 has a larger 1/1.8", 12 Megapixel sensor) gives better image quality than that.

beethy hating aside

i don't think anyone can seriously think this is a good example of the G9 for image quality

this looks like a picture taken from a cellphone

The blown sky is a real downer. You need to find a manual setting that is a compromise between the f-stop for the sky and the f-stop for the subject. Bracketing helps. Here's a little photo hacking for you.
