Guess the Canon lens Anonymous
Okay, I have some pictures I've taken with a Canon 300D but I don't remember which lens it was with.

I could've sworn it was an EF 75-300 but the EXIF on some pictures tell me the focal length was as low as 28mm.

I know for sure I didn't have IS on it. I recall it having the ultrasonic badge in gold but don't remember if it was ring or micro.

The length is similar to the 75-300 and the barrel would even slide down if the camera was pointed down. That's why I always thought I took them with the 75-300.

No, it wasn't my camera so I can't just look at my camera bag.

Well, that's retarded. Photoshop and Bridge wouldn't display the lens info.

It says 28-300 here but I'm quite sure I wasn't using a L lens.

coulda been one of the third party 28-300s.

Googled for the Sigma and Tamron 28-300. They both have markings on the inner barrel and aren't the same size as Canon's 75-300.

I 'distinctively' remember the ultrasonic badge.

well, the exif says 28-300 and at 141mm f/5.6 max aperture. that sounds about in line with what the 28-300L is like.

I think I would remember using a white L lens. :|

At least you don't have that awful hockey puck mouse any more. I hated that thing.

I've got a couple of those kicking around in my basement. I got them for basically free, and couldn't resist owning a piece of Apple Design Failure History.

I have never used a worse mouse in all my life. It's probably the most frustrating computer peripheral I've had. Even the old brick mice were better than that thing. It seems like they designed it to look good but then never thought to actually try and use it.
