Does /p/ read photography magazines?

The only ones I've seen that seem to have a slight bit of integrity feature either a D40 or the latest übercompact on the cover.

Note; I'm a Canadafag, so I'll get most American magazines but I won't necessarily get all - or any - from the UK, or anywhere else.

American photo occasionally.
JPG is the only one I really care for.

Last time I read a photography mag (Outdoor Photographer) they said that the Evolt E330 was the best camera ever, being cheaper than any canon or nikon to date and actually offering live view technology, which other brands didn't have. They also mentioned that the best part of it, however, was their 4/3rds sensor, which, being twice (x2) as large as a frame of 35mm film was capable of making even better macro enlargements, making it fantastic for nature photography.

Dude, the worst part of it is that I'm not shitting you. I'll scan it when I get the chance. It made me rage so hard.

imo American Photo has too many articles/biographies, and not enough about actually shooting. I read JPG as often as I can, but it's hard to find retailers around here.

Last time I picked up Popular Photography, I noted they listed the Evolt E420 as the best entry-level evar, and thus I set it back down.

Outdoor Photographer. The subscription was free, so I could care less how much it makes me rage sometimes.

And $10 says they put a correction in the next issue. Publications fuck up all the time, then they issue corrections.

I enjoy Rangefinder for some of the business aspects, but with that comes a lot of photos that are geared towards making the client happy, ie gimmicky editing. I'd say it's been 50/50 on good/bad issues. Good thing it's a free subscription.

Sure, but 10 bucks won't help the person that spent say, $999 bucks on that shitty camera due to Rob Sheppard's or whatshisname's recommendation and bullshit.

>being twice (x2) as large as a frame of 35mm film was capable of making even better macro enlargements

Lol, this sentence even contradicts itself if you think about it.

Well, if he needed something for "macro and unusual angles" as they said in the article, he probably did the right thing. The only other SLR with a tilting screen is A350 two years later, which inherits most of the fail from E-330 despite having an APS-C sensor, lol.
