It's not just the bloody camera mod Anonymous
I posted in /r/ and got nothing. So I'm posting here, per relevance.

How does this guy get these results? In correspondence he says quite a few things that are blatantly untrue (such as it's all straight camera work). I would like some honest suggestions on how he could achieve these results.

The man's name is Ruel Tafalla and his infrared dreams set is the one I'm impressed by.

I'll post two or three more pics from the set here as well.

InfraRed mod to camera to record IR spectrum light instead of visible.

Oh and HDR.
>> Jeremo !iKGMr61IHM
the guy probably has a dedicated camera converted to IR... looks much more than a r72 can do for ya

Looks like the camera is modified with the Color Infrared filter (check www.lifepixel.com)
Most people have the middle one done (the R72 like cutoff)
But other than that its just the camera mod, The red and blues are probably straight out of the camera, and the yellow + blue cast is some sort of channel swap.

looks like digital infrared; then stuffed into an HDR program with color saturation over nine thousand

I like that one.
