Only one that really stuck out for me. The rest are just too busy and cluttered, which is often a risk with shooting a stage. Work on isolation, even if it means strange compositions that aren't perfectly perpendicular with the stage.

Check this picture from my colleague Courtney Dudley (awesome, inspiring shooter) of LCD Soundsystem. She doesn't have the longest lens in the world, but she makes it work for her.

very intersting, thanks man.

sniped that one with a 135mm f2.8. I like the first two-three as well, taken with a 24mm. nice to get an overview of the band. when people get in too close, you kind of lose the general overview.

BIGGEST bitch was flaring here: my old summicron flared so badly it was useless. I thought a 35mm zeiss Biogon and the 'cron would work together well. Looks like I'll have to get a Zeiss ZM 50mm first.. they're very sharp and flare resistant.
either I shoot 50mm, or 35mm & tele with another camera.

I like the first three and the last one. First one's just okay, the others of the ones mentioned are great. Tight shots of bands take a lot to be good, since they'e so common and don't show much of what's going on,. Getting it really tight, like just their face, works sometimes, too, though.

(Also, I'm insanely jealous. Nice Leica kit AND seeming ASMZ in concert. What 24mm do you use?)

Another option I've heard of is people getting their lenses multicoated. Don't know if you want to mess with the look of your 'Cron or how old lens + paying a lens repair guy to multicoat it competes price-wise with new lens.

Hmm. I'm torn. I don't really like the big huge light, but I also think this picture would be kinda boring without it.

>>158087
Really like the perspective on this one.

>>158088
This one is by far my favorite of the group.

Like it, but not as much as Heavyweather did. Your subject is nicely isolated, yeah, but she (?) also has a bit of a weird expression on her (?) face, and generally just doesn't look that great. Up-the-nose is not the best of all possible compositions is the point I'm trying to make. Also, I'm not entirely sure of the person's gender.

Very nice. I like his expression of concentration combined with his face being mostly in shadow while his instrument has a spotlight. The overall impression I'm left with is that he's totally one with the instrument. He himself fades into the background while his playing is the foreground. I like that.

In addition to the great lighting contrast in this shot, it's the shot that best shows the contours of that young lady's breasts. And they are very, very nice contours.

I used a nikon FM with a 24Mm f2.8 nikkor. now looking at the 28mm f2 that's more flare resistant. also used a damaged 50mm f1.2 thats very prone to flare. 135mm f2.8 sniped nicely but was hard to focus. overall the Leica focused a lot more nicely and accurately

only photo taken with Leica is>>158093
the 'cron flared horribly. with my damaged 1.2, I don't have any excellent 50mm left. ZM 50mm f/1.5 ahoi!

thanks for nice nice feedback as well.

>>158093is also pretty, but I liked the cello girl best :3

Saw A Silver Mt. Zion last week in the Netherlands, very very good concert.
Nice pictures, though I don't think they transfer the energy with what they play their concerts.

In another world: Prague, last night, Bajofondo Tango Club. Those guys are awesome.

Only had a point-n-shoot camera -- had to fit in my trouser pocket...
