Today is a good fucking day for girls on /p/!

Very nice. Good subject material. I find it hard to see many faults in this. I'd say something about the colours but it doesn't really matter. Great success!

Yes, it's very nice, but I'd also say something about the colours... maybe not as vivid as one would like?

OH SHI-
Crowning achievement!

yeah, overcast day on the beach, I boosted that shit as much as I could in Lightroom without making it look too tweeked out.

Ok /p/ Im having the chance to take some pictures for new models portfolio, some of the required pictures are swimsuit pictures, we live in the middle of the desert so no beach is on the plans but we have some nice sand dunes about 20 miles away. Ive taken pictures of models a few times but always on Studio now I need some help for outside pictures on a Sunny day...

Diffused light. Overcast day is win. If not, bring some soft reflectors. Point her away from the sun so she's not all squinty and use reflectors or flash to fill. Noonday sun sucks for shadows, go early or late.

win.
I suggest shooting magic hour, backlight yes. soft fill.

I know this goes against standard portraiture/model practice, but I always find the most interesting shots are those done where some interesting lighting or shadow plays across the face/body, not the typical "lol fill light" look.

Agreed, but for a model's portfolio, you mostly just want to show off her face. And if he's a newbie, it's important to concentrate on not doing the newbie thing and getting her squinting into the sun.
