Which wide angle lens should I get.. Zachary
I've got a general purpose lens, shown, but which wide angle would you recommend for my 30d...

You already have it picture, but the 24-70mm f/2.8L is pretty nice.

ef-s 10-22 > tokina 12-24 = sigma 10-20 > tamron 11-18

the 24-70 isn't wide angle anymore on a 30d, though?

Canon 10-22.

What is the Tokina like to handle and use then? I take it the results are pleasing?

The tokina is sweet as hell. Better build quality than the canon. Its just that it doesnt go wide enough.

I'd take it over the Canon any day. True, it doesn't go quite as wide, but 12mm is still plenty fucking wide. Build quality is great, it's nice and sharp, has a constant max aperture (the Canon does not), and costs significantly less than the Canon.

Cheers for the opinion. I've got a friend who's in the market now for a Canon mount wide angle. The Tokina sounds like a good choice for them.

I was planning on purchasing a 24-70 for my xti that I could also use on my film camera. Good idea?

Also, I have a 19-35 that I use for indoors, and I rarely shoot too wide.

Has anyone sampled the tokina 16-50?
