take the lens cap off.

Uh. I might be a total noob, but shouldn't you be outside if you're shooting IR pictures? I don't think normal lamps emit that much IR light.

depending on your camera, expect 1.5s+ exposure times in broad fucking daylightalso lol if you dont have a tripod
