WTF, I know you lsoe some detail in the darks when printing pics, But I just got back my fireworks shots and they lost almost half the dark detail and 90% of my Blues in the skies. I don't think this is just a case of a black point loss printing, I think this was a filter / edit done to the pic before the print.

LEft is exact pic i sent in to be printed, on the right is a pic of the pic (And a pretty accurate one for what is visible to the human eye (on my calibrated monitor))

BTW this is from CameraCanada's prolad, Which's MEtallics are awesome for high contrast / high saturation color pics, Which is why I thought fireworks would look great on them.

I have about 28$ worth of fireworks prints and all of them are super dark.

Looks like their machine's calibration is off. I've had that happen a few times before. I'd take the prints back and make them re-do them.

Calibrating your monitor might be in order too, but yeah, you should go back and ask for reprints.

Monitor calibration could be part of the problem, but it's not all of it. I can see the difference in the OP's pics and I know my monitor is calibrated correctly.

OP here again, Unfortunately I can't walk in to take back the pics since I had to order it through their "prolab" So I emailed them about it, They have in the past been good about giving me free replacement prints and shipping when their software messed up.

I just checked my gamma and calibration after I got the prints and they are quite accurate (Whites get blown slightly, though thats probably since I use an LCD) But My Darks are clearly accurate, And From what I can tell my Gamma is also correct (though thats difficult to tell and can change based on lighting conditions) But IMO it couldn't have been this far off... So i'm not exactly sure what they did..

Emailed back, they said no color correction its just a property of the metallic prints, So I guess I just have to bite the bullet this time.

I also need to get their output profiles for their metallic paper.
