why don't these get any loving on /p/?

Because AF macro lenses kinda obsoleted them for everything that doesn't require more than 1:1 magnification.

You can get them for even cheaper if it's M42 or some obsolete mount. Still, weight and convenience of a macro lens win if you're not a poor college student who just wants to play with macro photography a bit.

i wish i could get my hands on an F-mount macro bellows for forty bucks. seriously, where are you getting that number from? they cost 200 bucks used where i see them, 900 bucks new.

i got a new nikon F model model II, pretty damn old, but it was in the box sealed with instructions and everything for only $50. i put an extension tube on it so i could slap a digital on there easier.

I've seen F-mount bellows with acessories for about $150 and thought it was ridiculous, now turns out it was cheap...

Anyway, since close focus only is the point of bellows, you can get an adapter, M42 bellows and profit.

I got my mint PB-6 from the back room of a local camera store, I haggled them down to $55.

Macro bellows are fantastic if you want EXTREM MAGNIFICATION.
