Hey how can this camera take footage like what you see in movies?

It looks like a theater movie footage. How come the camera i got at home take movie that looks like home movie? By the way the camera is the D90 Nikon.

What is the difference? So do the people who make movies use these kind of camera? Can you make footage that looks like profesional movie with just any kind of camcorder?

how is not the question

you suck at shooting videos

>So do the people who make movies use these kind of camera?

nom they use cameras that are built for video. D90 and 5D MkII are cameras that are built to take photos, with an added feature to shoot video.

Can you make footage that looks like profesional movie with just any kind of camcorder?
probably, but the quality of your 2MP nokia wouldn't hold up against a RED camera.

tl;dr: no

Technique, lighting, sturdy tripod, lens with long and smooth focusing (=manual focus) etc.

The thing that sets home video apart from OMG PRO video the most is the steadiness of the shot. Handheld and shaky screams home video stronger than anything. Look up Vincent Laforet's sample video with the 5D. You won't notice how well made it is while the camera is mounted or when it pans smoothly but it will suddenly seem like a home video in one scene where it's handheld.

not in modern movies that is... they do shaky footage on purpose... don't ask me what they were thinking though.
