hey there.

i've got a question to you photography gurus.

i've got a hole bunch of photos from a trip to france with my school class. all my class mates gave me the photos and i agreed to create a photo dvd.

so my what i want to do is: i want to create a cd with a beautiful menu and autostart, but also the original .jpg files on the it. that's why i can't use something like "photo dvd slideshow" - these programs convert the photos into a video.

also, i want to sort the pictures by date according to the exif data. is there a program that supports something like batch-sorting that you can suggest me?

any suggestions?

any help appreciated.

Surely you can copy the photos, then make a video with the copies, and put the originals on the CD as well?

but that way i would probably exceed the 4.7 GB of the dvd. but i had that idea before too.

If the video's just going to be a slideshow, it shouldn't be that big. Presumably it won't be a 10-megapixel-per-frame video--DVDs generally have a resolution around 640x480 to view on a TV.

If the pics themselves are more than 4.7GB total, batch-resize them to a more reasonable resolution.

Go to the folder all the images are in and right click "sort by: date modified". Then a good program to make dvd's is Roxio Dvdit pro, you can torrent it and it has a crack with it.
