ITT: Potentially awesome photographic moments that you completely fucked up.

Pic very related. I was in a massive hurry, let the flash go off, and didn't bother to retake the shot the proper way. Oh how I regret it now.

Not bad, not bad. My only critique will be the outside stuff being too burned, but besides that, I like your pic.

<< I usually don't think "I'll like to retake that shot" but in this case I do. She's way too underexposed (and I already played slightly with levels - it's a noisy image so I can't edit too much without getting excessive noise), and I seriously love her expression.

Wow, still a very nice shot.
Have you tried selectively dodging the two people and then burning in the background a bit?

oh lawd the borkeh

Agreed. That's the busiest bokeh I've ever seen, lol. Seriously though, great shot. Both of you.

>>205066
I actually like the foreground darker, it helps it stand out, makes it more contrasted.

And I love the OP's pic. When I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was a mindfuck, lol. You pushed the dynamic range of your lil XT as much as you could and I honestly can't see it being any better considering. Great work, both of you.

I don't have any examples, except I often see something when I'm out shooting that for whatever reason I don't take a picture of (too far away, out of film, subject walks away, etc) and then I regret missing that shot the rest of the day.

I actually don't hate this, it's got that "lol photoshooped" look even though it isn't actually photoshoped, which is a feat of its own.

MAH FUCKEN AYES!
What'd you use, a Coke bottle?! That's really unfortunate, cos I like the compo on that image.

>>205050
That sucks! The difference in color temp. in this scene is just sick. Are you gonna be able to get back to that spot this next winter?
>> okto
>>205050
Actually, the more I look at this image, I realize that if you nuke the road sign out so you can't read the letters, this will look intentionally high-key. The sign (and your statement about the flash going off) is the only thing that tipped me off to this being a 'bad' shot.

:(

Actually, Nikkor's 50mm (1.4) gives me nice bokeh, but I think the shitty filter I put on it has something to do with the bokeh sucking Ken Rockwell's balls.
>> okto
>>205400
Yeah, I'd expect better out of any Nikkor, but especially a 50. That has to be the filter, I don't believe Nikon has ever produced a prime with nisen bokeh that bad.

Though, I don't know how that could affect the bokeh. But shit filter is shit filter anyway.

That's just a generic sunset shot, no worries.
