The first one looks like you used the popup flash on the camera. If you did, you should cover it with something like kleenex so that the light isn't so harsh. If you didn't use a flash, you should have tried to move around to get better lighting, because the whole scene seems a bit too bright.

Nah, no flash was used. But yea I agree; now that I look at it it is bright. It's hard to judge light in there - they have a mesh net that can make it difficult.

Doh! I wanna post my slides that I just got back, but my scanner is busted! I got some great butterfly pics on Velvia. That second on is really nice.

First looks like flash to me too, even though I know it wasn't. Too much direct, hard top light, I suppose.

Second looks pretty good.
