YEah. The EXIF reckons the it was iso 160, so it sould be noise free. Older camera tho (A75) so maybe its time for an upgrade. Anyone got experience with the new A series?

Yeah, Im in Newwie. All these were taken yesterday about noon, before the floods really set in. It was driving rain, so I only managed a few decent shots (ie, not blurred from my shivering). Apparently the ship is breaking up. If you do catch the train up, the tracks might be flooded, so good luck.

>>54158
Yeah, Aussie.

Also the police were restricting access to the break wall and the foreshore road, so getting different angles was immpossible (for me at least).

Last image thats significantly different from the others (7 salvagable images of 80 shots, motor drive FTW). I'll post what I take tommorow morning in a new thread.

I like the stormy feel, anyone got a blanket.

Congratulations, you took the same photo as the other ten thousand amateurs who turned up with their cameras.

This is pretty much the only shot they've shown of this on the news. Way to be generic and unoriginal!

>>54191
I find that most of your posts to be trolling with no depth at all. How many pictures can be truly new and original? Given the people that post on /p/ and their dedication to photography, you could say that most any picture is generic and unoriginal. And certainly, you have started to do so even with>>54193.

Criticism should be about how the photograph is executed. Personally, I think that these shots are done moderately well. However, in this situation, someone has to decide whether or not the subject is the boat or the waves. I would advocate that it would be a better choice to try to emphasize the power of nature or waves. And by that token, I like>>54153the most. The others are not as great. Also, I do wish that the other images were sized down more.

There was that one time where someone posted a really boring and extremely poorly composed (i.e., unbalanced to the point where the perfectly-straight horizon looked crooked) picture of the Lincoln Memorial. He thought that one was great.

Just because I don't post photos doesn't mean I don't know how to take them. I just don't feel the need to post something every day just for the sake of posting.

That's actually a sunrise. But nice try anyway.

>>54358
for all intents and purposes, it doesnt make a difference. btw, your other pictures are also pretty generic. not saying OPs picture is good or anything, because frankly its not, but i dont think you can flame him for taking unoriginal pictures while yours are just as unoriginal or generic.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>54358
His comments still stand for s/sunset/sunrise. Shows a little more dedication for getting up at the crack of dawn to take the shots, but doesn't really make it a better picture.
