Let's play a game, /p/.

We post a photograph with some strange effect on it, and our fellow posters will guess how it was done.

Ready? This one should be relatively simple.

I did slightly adjust the levels, but otherwise, wrong.

You dragged the bleeding corpse of a dead hooker across the trail before taking the photo near sunset/sunrise.

Close enough to win.

I got a bunch of 52mm lens accessories, mostly gel filters, from a guy who had them sitting around from when he upgraded from a Nikon film SLR to a Canon DSLR set with a larger filter thread. One of them was this little, almost gimmick-like thing that on turns and it slides between different color casts. It can put an interesting look on a photograph sometimes, though, if one zooms past the vignetting and puts it in black and white to deal with the strange color casts.

Also, it's pretty much strictly for day-time usage. I haven't figured out exactly how many stops it darkens the exposure by, but a properly exposed photograph I took in the exact same place and just shortly afterwards without it on was f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/200th of a second, whereas that was f/3.2, ISO 200, 1/20th of a second.

Oh, and it makes me sad it took this long for a filter to occur to someone.
