its ither two thing. the camera .jepeg compression algoriths is introducing the effect. solve by shooting in raw. or in on of the lenses. something prohititing the secondary lens from corecting the seperation of light wavelenth. see if there is any residue bult up on the lenses? that can sometime saolve the problem. other wise inceist in better lens. please first try the the shooting in raw mode to fix the problem.

Hay guise, purple fringes aren't always caused by chromatic aberration. A better lens might not even help.

basically, its a normal fact of life. deal with it, and theres nothing you can do.The latest nikon cameras try and correct it in camera, and they're pretty good at it.
