At worst, you've got a dim-ass viewfinder, no meter or a half-broken meter that takes mercury batteries, 1 to 1/500th speeds on the shutter. The jappo copies that came later, some were great, but the great ones are expensive as fuck and the usable ones were cheaply made.
The good thing about the bessaflex is that it's well-specced, fairly well-built, cheap and parts are plentiful(since it's based off their useitforeverything body anyway) If you don't already own M42 lenses, you're not really in the target audience. OTOH, if you enjoy manual cameras with that vintage feel, it's not like you another choice from nikon, canon or pentax...
