hey /p/, is the cosina 100/3,5 makro any good?

i´ve heard that the built quality is terrible, but the image quality shall be really good.
thing is, i´ve just switched over from a f-828 sony bridge to a dlsr and i want to do some makro-photography, but cant afford a +400€ lens right now.
the cosina on the other hand...i mean it hardly costs a hundred bucks

which brand?
>> Anonymous
just a quick question.

there are apparantly two versions of the cosina (voigtlander, phoenix or whatever).
one with af and one without. the version with af does NOT have a servo of its own, i.e. it probably wont work with my sony, because as far as i know they dont have internal motors.

will the mf work though? i mean, there cosinas both af and mf for minolta, i.e. that should mean the minolta mf version should work with my 350, shouldnt it?

if sony, the minolta 50 2.8. very very sharp and good general purpose lens. i has the 100mm version and its more expensive for no reason i can see.

sigma makes a 50mm macro for sony too, but its no cheaper than a new sony!
i cant see why they would do that.

fuck, as i feared, the mf versions are useless to me -_-
can´t find any of the af versions for sony/minolta (nor any of the replicas)

>>282356

thanks for the advice
260€-270€ is much more than 120€ ^^ but still alot cheaper than anything else. got to see wether i can try some of those out at my dealer.

i just hoped to grab one of those cosina lenses, because while i was shooting with the f-828 for quite some time now, i never did it really seriously.
now i decided to take it to another level and i´m just not shure wether this will ever evolve to a real "hobby" of mine, of course i hope it will, but i´ve already tried so many things in my life that i later dropped *g*

I have an AF cosina 100-400 M and auto focus works.
You have a alpha 350? It has a built in focus motor.

yeah, the problem is the lens mount. the offer (the only one) i found on ebay was with the old minolta lens mount, before af lenses came up
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
MF minolta lenses are not for the dynax/alpha mount.

They could be M42 or rangefinder or whatever.

cosina did make a version that does autofocus, its been discontinued for over a year. id say if you looked you could find one, but that effort would be better spent on the minolta 50mm 2.8 macro.

>>282400

yeah, i know, but i couldnt find any right now

i´ve looked up the minolta and the sigma. the minolta is really intriguing and quite cheap
the sigmas are quite cheap as well, but apparantly they produce a small white spot in the middle of the image if you use small aperture

if you can get the minolta 50mm 2.8 AF cheaply buy without hesitation
