should I buy a Lomo LC-A? Anonymous
I used one over the weekend and I'm not sure if I want one.
I already own holgas, homemade pinhole cameras, A Rebel XT, Fisheyes, and a Nikon FM. I feel like my camera family needs a compact 35mm that's not made of plastic.

someone convince me yay/nay.

$250 dollars for that piece of junk? Oh my god.

holgas suck.
>> Anonymous
Just imagine how much cash whoever decided to pirate out the lomos is rolling in now.
>> Anonymous
Lol. Thanks to the Lomo LCA I made quite some bucks selling off my Praktica CX1s.

Oh well. Don't do it. Get an Olympus XA.

photoshop your pictures to make them look lomo?
Wow, you are a loser.
Buy the lomo if you like how it looks. You will not be satisfied with a post process that makes it look similar.

While we're on the topic, what's the name of that one camera that came out in the 60's, that's like a Holga, only built like a brick shit house and doesn't suck.

I would like to know this as well. I remember someone bringing it up a while back. My friend wants to get a Holga, and I'm trying to convince her otherwise. I told her about this camera, but couldn't remember the name. She agreed to wait until I could find it and tell her, so she could research it.

I'm afraid, however, that she will still get a Holga. She's kind of an indy art-fag.

Agfa Clack, hoes?

>She's kind of an indy art-fag.
>She's kind of an hipster artfag wannabe.
Fix'd.

Your correction is pretty spot on, to be brutally honest.

And yes, I believe it was the Agfa Clack.

>>193440
Yep. Agfa Clack. Thanks.

Kodak Brownie Six-20 will give you roughly the same 6x9 negative as the Agfa Clack and I've seen them go for $.99 on ebay. You sometimes have to trim down the 120 rollers for them though.
>> Anonymous
AGFA CLACK FUCK YEAH!!

They are actually quite nice.

>>193456
Roughly isn't the same, and the build quality really differs.

>>193443
I'm afraid pictures do not really matter to her. It's the fact the Holga has name, that's what matters to her.
Sadly those are the people I really dislike in photography.

That's why I said roughly.

For your information: COSINA CX-2 is what the original LOMO LC's were copying.

Minox 35 GL/PL/GT etc... are also worth looking at. These small, fun, cameras and can go for MUCH less the overhyped and overpriced LOMO's...

>I'm afraid pictures do not really matter to her. It's the fact the Holga has name

my ex was like that, and dumped me because "she needed to be around people who were more creative", and yet she herself sucked at being creative.. prime example of the indy-hipster artfag wannabe.. she owned a holga and a d80 and didnt use either of them correctly.. what a fucking loser

>dumped me because "she needed to be around people who were more creative"

i am pretty sure it was something else dude.

Your fake LOMO photos still aren't convincing.
Real LOMO shots are more saturated and less sharp.
They usually have a strange color smear element to them.
And your blacks aren't rich enough.

>>193884

Yeah you're an idiot, you don't know what you're talking about. You would have been better off as a stain on your father's sheets.

>BAWWWWWWWWWWWW

Doesn't change the fact that that clearly isn't a LOMO LC-A shot.

It's taken with provia 400 film.Which explains the sharpness and the natural colors. Unfortunately I've been sucked in my LSI and have boughten 5 cameras from them. Can't lie about not having buyer's remorse.
Shot from same roll as previous.

dont get an lca. almost all of my photos come out underexposed. the only way i would recommend it is if u were going to almost always use flash and high iso film. theyre just not worth the price.

They're fun, but lomography.com overprices them way too much. You can get similar results from a better camera like an agfa clack for much less money.

Personally, I feel that any flash-less toy camera can give you just as much fun as a holga.

what holga do you have?

amazon is selling em for $24-40
>> Anonymous
>>194058

Yeah seriously.
Every time I see a Holga they're pretty cheap.
Like $25 or something.

The only place I see them where they are expensive is Urban Outfitters and that is because that place is for fucking tools.

I don't have a Holga, I have a Time Camera, which, although it doesnt use medium format film, it's comparably fun, and just as restrictive.

I have the multicolor 120 CFN.
I enjoy it.
