Something seems off about this composition to me but I'm not really sure what it is that's leaving a bad taste in my mouth with it. Critique, please.

Only one at the moment. I wasn't particularly liking how any of the shots I had lined up were coming out so I decided to hold off on shooting it again. Easy access to it, it's just down the road.

I too find the windows particularly interesting, as well as the busted screen door. Not really sure how to capture it in a way that isn't so boring, though.

Get closer.
Get lower or higher. Try all sorts of different angles. Don't be afraid to get down on the ground.
Use a wide angle if you have one.
Look for interesting patterns and textures.
Go back when there's more interesting light. Sunrise or sunset, for instance.
Learn about levels and curves and give it some postprocessing to give the colors and contrast a bit more pop.
