Shameless because its mostly a test shot.

anyway heres the specs
D50 with Reverse mounted (br2a, google it) 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 (crappy kit lens)

Focus set to infinity, 55mm shot focal length, Apperature close to f32 (Manually held just slightly more open than f32)
Sb-600 with built in diffuser shot for lighting (attached to the camera)

As you can see, sharpness seriously suffers even close to f32, BUT the extreme macro at 18mm is quite amazing!

Anyone know the reproduction ratio? (like 5:1 or whatever)

Also I forgot to mention this, but the 55mm shot (first post) Was focused in at approx 10cm

at 18mm the focus is as close as probably 2-3cm
So this is quite useless for skitish bugs.

So the BR2A is no replacement for a good Macro lens (like the 60mm or 105mm 1:1's)
But it can get some ridiculous magnification that makes it quite interesting. (Also its DIRT CHEAP, 27$ for the BR2A, and 100$ for the kit lens)
