i have this
with sigma 18-200(yeah i know)
need good lense for landscapes and stuff (going on vacation soon)

28ish is definitely a wide angle.

You're not going to get a significantly wider angle than that with anything cheaper than the EF-S 10-22, which is something like $600.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but concerning wide angles...

I got to fondle a Sigma 12-24 yesterday at a photo store. Oh god, deliciously dampened rings, smooth focusing, velvety lens hood. Mmmmmmmm!

True wide angle, lol. You mean ultra wide.

Canon 10-22, Sigma 10-20 or Tokina 12-24. The rest is pretty much garbage unless you intend to get 35mm/5D/1Ds any time soon.

Sigma 10-20 is the cheapest and pretty good.
