It's boring and your horizon is tilted.

What is that orange thing near the middle?

>ISO Speed Used 200 LOL

Go ahead and pump your aperture even wider if you're using an ipod. Mirror lock and self-timer ftw as well for the best sharpness.

As for composition a lot people make the mistake of only having one interesting element in it. Pretty clouds don't make a good photo, pretty clouds, dynamic light, and an interesting foreground do. Don't bother taking photo if it can be better if you wait. A lot of good landscape photographers haven been known to sit down and read a book waiting for the right clouds, wind, or and light.

If you don't have one, you want a polarizer. If you do B+W, especially film B+W, grab some color filters. ND and graduated ND are nifty too but most people don't need them.

This photo is uninteresting. What would this photo have looked like if you had laid down on the ground and taken it? Since you don't have dynamic light or clouds what can you do take an interesting photo here?

what kind of camera maker would make the lowest 200? thats retarded
>> M/A !n21TE7QU8U
>>151529
It's actually really smart.
By lowering the ISO range from 100-1600/3200 to 200-1600 you get less noise as a product of the decapacitation.
This allows for tighter shutter speeds with NO visible noise at all.

The camera maker with the highest market share in the world?
>> elf_man !!DdAnyoDMfCe
>>151529
There's pretty universal agreement that the d40 has really clean images, so I figure it isn't a big deal.
And well, being meant as a step up from p&s, it is designed to be a little lighter on options.

ummm, no you're way off if you think it's Nikon
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>151555
No... no, I'm pretty certain that Nikon makes the Nikon D40. Got it right in the name, in fact.

Or are you disputing that Nikon's got the highest market share? Which is almost certainly true. I should have said SLR market share. I'm pretty sure that Nikon has a bit of a lead over Canon right now, though I'm sure it'll swing back in time.

uh, what? what the fuck does that have to do with anything

>>151558I should have said SLR market share.

yeah, you should have, laff...

you're way off if you think Nikon has the highest markest share for cameras
>> Butterfly !xlgRMYva6s
Doesnt sony have top market share for cameras? I remember someone posting the numbers but I keep forgetting what they were.

As for the pic:
I would photoshop the horizon straight.

>uh, what? what the fuck does that have to do with anything
Your statement could have been interpreted as either "Nikon doesn't make a camera that has a minimum ISO of 200" or "Nikon isn't the market leader"

>>151576

wow, reading comprehension much?

i quoted you:

my reply:

Ah, but if you can handle a thread of conversation for more than one post, you get this:
>>>what kind of camera maker would make the lowest 200? thats retarded
>>The camera maker with the highest market share in the world?
>ummm, no you're way off if you think it's Nikon
(I.e., in your reply, 'it' could refer to 'kind of camera maker who would make the lowest ISO 200' as a refutation of my argument rather than a nitpick about the fact that I said "camera" rather than narrowing it down to "SLR")
>> Anonymous
I kinda like it. The horizon breaks the rule of thirds (watch it), but the interest is towards the edges. I like the tall cactus on one side and the short on the other; it makes an interesting diagonal. The center is kinda empty and bland though.

>>151603

really

don't go and complicate things when you were just way the fuck wrong off both marks
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>151673
So more than one post's worth of context is "complicated" for you?

Have you considered any of the many ADD drugs currently on the market?
>> Anonymous
no, you're complicating matters

it was pretty damn obvious, we're talking about Nikon. you know it, i know it

you were wrong, so you tried to make it sound like you were confused

fucking bitch, please
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>151686
Yeah, I know. I misinterpreted it at first as a joke. Then I copped to my mistake, re: "Total camera market share" vs. "SLR market share".

Then you decided to flame me, presumably because you're an Anonymous poster on 4chan and don't have any idea how else two people could possibly converse. And for some reason kept bumping the thread despite the fact that nobody but the two of us could possibly give a good goddamn about this conversation, and even that's iffy...

What's hilarious is that Nikon doesn't even lead the way world wide. Only in Japan.
>> ac !!VPzQAxYPAMA
>>151700
Got a source on that?

(This isn't an argument. I've just only ever been able to find data on the Japanese market, so I'd genuinely like to have some data about the worldwide market share)
