Second
Wouldn;t have been so bad if you didn't use a 1/1250 shutter speed.

I guess it is then. The dark parts are so dark that no shopping would save the photo.

Well here's another one, unedited again.

Thanks. I just realized that having my monitor at 100% brightness might have an adverse effect on tuning photos.

In return, a train. I kinda fail with all the dark details. Was it a failure to use shutter priority in the first place? I'm still a little confused with the modes and how to use them.

Um, its hard to explain really.

Using "Auto" in bright conditions will almost certainly guarentee a well exposed photo.

Unless your shooting something moving, or in low-lit conditions, you shouldn't use Shutter Priority.

Usually Auto/Aperture Pri. works fine.

(not OP)
I've tried following this well and now, everything seems so dark. I'm thinking it's just cause I'm used to seeing everything so brightly. Is that usually the case? I'm also used to 9300k color temperature and it says that 6500k is more accurate but it looks too warm now.

You've probably just got used to it.
Google for screen calib's to adjust the hues.

Most important thing is to get the constrast/brightness correct, so black is black. and you can see every grey tone.
