Greetings /p/

Is there a way to change the information on a digital photo so to change what type of camera the file says it was taken from, etc?

Or, what might be easier, is there a way to just erase this data entirely? I enjoy digital photography as a hobby but I am very unhappy with the way digital cameras have no real privacy as far as what camera you are using, etc.

I personally don't think it really matters if people see your EXIF or not. There are definitely ways of stripping it, you might prefer that. There are also ways of editting it as well. But do you seriously need privacy on what camera you use? It's actually more helpful to other people and yourself to have proper EXIF data for record keeping. What you want is similar to driving an Mitsubishi evo lancer with a Honda Civic engine inside. Stop being so self-conscious. I don't think other people care about what camera you use, only you do. In which case, just buy a better camera.

tl;dr? Use EXIFedit or save to web feature in Photoshop.

knowing what you are doing makes good shots, not the camera. Give a P&S to a pro and they will still take good shots

Oh, I'm not ashamed of my camera or anything. I really like my camera, and I do agree that it's not entirely the camera, it's the skill of the photographer.

I guess I came across the wrong way. It's more of an issue of sometimes not wanting people to know that I took a certain picture. Just a privacy thing, not that I plan to strip the EXIF from every picture I take.

I'd kinda like to know this too (ideally a program for Linux, since that's the OS I use most of the time). Mostly so I can stick exif data on shots taken with my film cameras.

1. download the picture to the computer
2. save the picture again using any picture editing program
3. ???
4. Profit
