What is /p/'s verdict on lens reversers?
I want to shoot some macro, but don't have big money for a macro lens for my Canon 350D yet.
However I have an 80mm lens from a medium format camera that I can manually stop down for depth of field and attach reversed with an adapter.
Worth it or a waste of monies?

It's a very cheap option. It's not as easy to use as a macro lens, but it's hard to complain for the money. I've seen some nice shots taken with it when people persevere.
