Hey guys,
I'm new.
Crit?

Taken on Tri-X, developed in D76, these are scans of the prints. Edited to remove border and a fuckton of speckles caused by either bad chemistry or my scanner, even though some specks are still there.

Lens was a Nikkor 50/1.8.

I found the mirror in the bottom right of this picture to be somewhat distracting, but I didn't really know how to crop it out while keeping the photo how I liked it. I burnt it a little in photoshop.

I was a bit worried in that photo. I think it's mainly that the print was underexposed. I would have reprinted, but I was running low on paper.

I thought that this was a nice picture, though I can't find anything very strong in it composition-wise. I just liked what was happening, and how he was stiff and unresponsive.

More contrast. Tri-X has that GORGEOUS midtone density, but it tapers off in the highs and lows, so you often have to kick its ass a little to get good blacks.

This is too much. You're just looking for max black in the shadow under the bill of the hat and his left armpit.

A very flat picture and you should only break the rule of thirds after you are familiar with what those rules are :)
