Should I bittorrent Photoshop CS3, /p/eople?

ITT fucking idiots.

yeah lightroom is OK and good for managing photos and doing batch projects, but if you REALLY want to make your photos look good, use Photoshop.

I personally use both, but when I really want to tweak something, PS is the way to go.

actually i met one of the main editors and photographers at National Geographic one day at an orientation at the Center For Digital Imaging Arts At Boston University and he uses lighroom and says its one of the best programs to use if you know what you're doing. they were testing it for adobe at the school and teaching people how to use it before it even came out.

There's nothing wrong with Lightroom. It's just a faster Photoshop and ACR with less functionality. If you don't use that functionality, it's a matter of taste, and I could see someone managing a large number of shots from the field for a monthly publication preferring lightroom, easily. If I understand correctly, NatGeo is especially manic about having their photographers turn in a huge number of shots.

that IS true.

If you are torrenting them then get both, you may as well.
