What's the most bullshit you've put yourself through to get a photo opportunity?

Also, did the shot/shots turn out to be any decent? If so, fukken post that bitch.

In my case, the most bullshit I've put myself through is crawling through a nearby foundry that's been out of service for 20+ years. Shitloads of dust, grime and dirt everywhere, and it takes some acrobatics to get to the really interesting parts.

Hiking through a hugely wooded area behind my house, falling and scaping the skin on entire top of my foot off, then being unable to climb back up the hill to get any bandages because i was stuck on a rock in the middle of a stream and didn't want to get my foot infected. I've crawled through mud multiple times, run into the ocean fully clothed (was getting wet anyway- may as well jump in), and holding up the camera so it doesn't get wet as the waves crash in at high tide. Crawling up and down a sheer cliff to get to a rocky outcrop that had a great photo opportunity on it (i dropped my phone in the ocean. oops), crawling through a couple of very small caves to see if there was any sealife/wildlife inside (there wasn't- but in certain cases i'm claustrophobic), nearly eaten alive by mosquitos, trespassed into an abandoned, rotting church.

Was it worth it? Fuck yeah.

Collapsing floors are pretty bad, I hope you weren't going there alone.
As for radiation, if it was strong enough to cause any damage, the site would be heavily guarded. Hell, I spent my childhood less than a kilometer away from a radioactive waste burial site and I'm fine (well, except the fact that I'm on 4chan)

Northern Sweden. I was being bitten by mosquitos like CRAZY while I was setting up tripod, placing several Cokin ND filters and taking a couple of shots before I got insane and had to flee. It's no fun. You can feel their bites all over your limbs, even through shirt. This is one of the shots I took, not particularly the best one.

(The ND filters discoloured the photos quite a lot - red/magenta - and I haven't gotten the correction quite right yet so that's the reason it looks too blue.)

Taken after crawling through an abandoned factory, onto the roof and back inside to get to the shop floor. Taken with an Canon s30 on a pocket tripod in like 2004 or something, so please spare the shitsux commentary on the image quality. Not sure if the place is still standing but if it is I'd love to go back with the 5D, the full-size tripod and much better idea of what I was doing.

>Maybe the fact there's a fucking storm and rain and 30 mile an hour winds, you ignorant chode mangler? Be jealous some more, you fuck.

LMFAO!
Only a massive shit who's never actually been in a dangerous situation would think that a little rain and 30mph winds were scary.

What's it like, playing it so safe that you never experience real life?

Taking some street shots last night with my tripod from the corner near my house, 2 mexican gangstas pulled up close by me in their ghettos ass lowrider and were eyeballing my camera shit from their beanermobile for like a minute and a half. They finally left tho.

Get one, and learn to use it well.

illegal here but I think there aloud in the states rite?

In any case, i never leave the house without it, easy to use, quick to get out, more times than not, simply getting it out and looking like you know what your doing is enough to make most people think again... And more importantly, it dosnt look out of place in/on a camera bag (or just on the belt under a coat)
