Are nature photos ultimately boring and overdone?
Your thoughts please.

I feel many are; most are, unless they're fucking amazing. For the most part though, trees, flowers, bugs, and squirrels are fucking boring though, and often bland. I've felt that it's really hard to take a good picture that reflects the beauty you see in something like a tree. Trees tend to look boring, even if they seem very nice when you're standing next to them.

OP here, I'm going to have to agree with you, but in all honesty, nature shots are excellent for aspiring photographers.

It's difficult to capture emotion without some photography skill. Nature of course, is very difficult to capture emotion with, but because trees don't get up and walk away, it's a simple shot.

Speaking of which, this was one of my shots when I was beginning photography.

Depends on the quality of the photo. There are many professional photographers that deal exclusively in nature photography. Just look at National Geographic. Not everything in there is naked natives.
