Hey /p/, I just bought this camera. 1.3mp sensor, 1.6" LCD screen on the back for $60. 8mb internal memory and a 1gb SD card. Was this a good buy? y/n
>>92735I forgot to mention, I'll mostly be shooting landscapes and nature for now. Later I'll probably get a DSLR and use this as my backup and general walkaround when I don't want to carry the DSLR around.
>>92735Nope. For twice as much you can get a camera that is significantly better than 1.3 MP. I would have to say that 4 MP would be good enough to make 4x6 or even 8x10 prints. Maybe you can get wallet size prints with 1.3?Don't be overly cheap with cameras. They should last you a fair amount of time before replacing it and it'll be a good investment in the long run.
I would say no.1MP is just too small. You can get mobile phones with 5MP cameras built in.
lol, obvious trolling is obvious
>>92735should've bought a LOMO lol
i dont understant how /p/ gets trolled so easily.
>>92742My first digital camera had:1MP sensor1.6" LCD2MB onboard memoryCost $250So yeah, this sounds like an awesome deal. Good job.
in before superzoom 123!
>>92753/r/ superzoom 123 for trolling later
I've seen those cameras before. I know this was a joke but they are actually really great for kids if anyone is considering it or has kids or nephews they want to get a present for. Practically invincible so they can drop it and play with it at all ages and you don't have to worry too much. I think there's a couple of brands, but they work well for the purpose.>>92750Obsessive hobbies are easy to troll. Insult someone's car, gun or PC and it's like insulting a man's penis. People get all worked up about it and will defend it to the hilt as the holy scripture.
>>92755>>92753Oddly enough, I bought this camera to upgrade from my superzoom 321. I didn't think my skill level was high enough to warrant a DSLR just yet, but I did feel the superzoom 321 was holding me back. The superzoom has a really nice optical zoom range, but the image quality isn't that good. At least with the Fisher-Price Kid Tough, I can lower the ISO to get really clean pictures. It also has a tripod mount so I can get better landscapes. It also has dual viewfinders, it's badass.Camera-Specific Properties:Equipment MakeNIKON CORPORATIONCamera ModelNIKON D80Camera SoftwareAdobe Photoshop CS3 (10.0x20061208 [20061208.beta.1251 02:00:00 cutoff; m branch]) WindowsMaximum Lens Aperturef/1.4Sensing MethodOne-Chip Color AreaColor Filter Array Pattern898Focal Length (35mm Equiv)75 mmImage-Specific Properties:Image OrientationTop, Left-HandHorizontal Resolution300 dpiVertical Resolution300 dpiImage Created2007:05:20 01:23:02Exposure Time1/5 secF-Numberf/8.0Exposure ProgramAperture PriorityISO Speed Rating100Exposure Bias0 EVMetering ModePatternLight SourceTungstenFlashNo FlashFocal Length50.00 mmColor Space InformationsRGBImage Width1277Image Height903RenderingNormalExposure ModeAutoWhite BalanceManualScene Capture TypeStandardGain ControlNoneContrastHardSaturationHighSharpnessNormalSubject Distance RangeUnknown
Does anyone have the other Superzoom 321 shot? Also, this one wins the thread.
>>92772Considering I own the camera, I could post another picture of it. >>92772lol goatse
How do they dare to charge $60 for 1.3MP. Okay, it's for kids, but still.Though I like the view-master idea they used.
>>92806its also made to be thrown down stairs and stuff
I bought this camera today.6.1 megapixels, 1x optic zoom, 1x digital zoom, USB, Secure Digital, SDHC, 475 gram, 2.5'' LCD. (atleast the guy told me so)For $1200 was this a good buy?Pic related.
>>92834Is this better than my D40?

>>92751haha, exactly. my photo instructor was just saying a few weeks ago. The Calgary herald was one of the first newspapers in the world to go digital, and when they did the cameras were hueg like xbox with 1mp sensors and cost like 26000 bucks.fuckin nuts.
