Hey there /p/.

I just got my first camera today. A Minolta Maxxum 5000 film camera.

All I want to ask is for tips in taking pictures. I have a macro lens and a long lens. I'm thinking of taking this thing to a gig, where I'll be pretty close to the stage (a few meters at best), so I dont think the long lens would be worth taking, and I can only carry so much.

So, how do I take not blurry pictures using a macro lens on a film camera with no hand shake stabilization?

I've set the shutter speed as far as it can go (1/2000sec) and set the ISO at 100. Other than that I try to stand as still as I can when taking them.

Is there anything more I should keep in mind?

Come one, isnt there anything else I should know?

Not to shoot with the bright lights behid the subject?

Should I bring a polarizing lens?

I have no flash, too.

Your planned exposure would require a faster lens than exists for your camera (or, AFAIK, any camera) to expose correctly at any sort of indoor gig and any outdoor one that isn't in very bright sunlight.

If you shoot this concert at 1/2000th and ISO 100, you'll get entirely dark pictures.
