So /p/
I sold my Sigma 50-500 already
I only owned it for about 4 weeks. Sold it to a friend for the exact same amount it cost me.

Why? Cause I bought a Nikon 300mm f4 af-s.
Lol is it worth the extra $250 over the Bigma? Probably, since I can get 420mm @f5.6 with a 1.4x TC.
I will let you know when I get the lens in the mail.

RIP Bigma

Good choice I say, but then I'm a consumer whore and brand names make me hard....
If you wanna lose the 10-20 let me know Vincent.

its also at 1/250th, F7.1 (So stopped down by 1/3rd) (Also handheld, I'm amazed this turned out sharp)
The lens doesn't perform that well wide open, its decent but a serious amount of unsharp masking is required.
F8 is the ideal, Which for surfing and whatnot is fine, but for birds its a difficult tradeoff. The 300 f4 will also be used for MX, baseball and soccer games. Where I don't know if I would trust the Bigma.
