Hi. I'm an art student (graphic art and design) who needs to document my work using photography.
What would you guys recommend I buy?

My budget is super low (I'm willing to spend up to 200, but preferably around 100-150 USD). All I need is something that will take good stills, won't be blurry, and won't take pictures with too much static. Basically, I need fairly clear pictures.

Also, RAW is a bonus. (I'm willing to hack the firmware).

Picture unrelated.

Thanks, that helps a lot.

I'm shooting everything from sketches to buildings and landscapes.

Okay, then yeah, the Canon A will probably do (you can get the CHDK hack to use raw), and the tripod will definitely help. Every photographer/hobbyist should have one.

I suggest shooting yourself instead. Any calibre over 9mm should do the trick.

Thanks! :)

I'll go pick up a tripod also.
