hai /p/,
i have a question and i hope someone can answer it.
i've seen a lot of photos like this, taken towards the sun, and the sun turns into this fuzzy cloud or something.
i like the effect alot, but when i try to take photos facing the sun it just overexposes the entire sky and doesn't leave this fuzzy thing..
do you have any guidelines to achieving this effect?

thanks

its a (f/g)lare from the sun, not the actual sun. try angling the from lens element at different angles to the sun to get the stupid reflection. Modern lens coatings remove this.

also try practicing different metering settings and using exposure lock when required.
