sup /p/,

being a night photographer, having a decent flashlight would be nice, yet i have never really looked into one

i want something powerful, that's bright and somewhat compact, but the compactness isn't necessary

look no further then surefire, finest illumination tools in the world. They run a little expensive but the quality of the lights is well worth it.

also i would say the G2 LED is prolly the best deal right now if your looking purely for function, its not made out of the nice aerospace aluminum like the rest but has the same light capacity and is far cheaper. Also its very compact and at 80 lumen's qualifys as a tactical light.
