I like the idea, unfortunately you kind of have to know it's iron man to get what's going on.
Either way, that thing's totally cute.

Thanks alot! :)

I plan to take him more places now, my little traveling buddy :)

>>195376

Thanks, and yeah not as fun if you dont know Iron Man... ah well :P

I agree, these are much nicer. Nothing wrong with any of them; fun to look at.

Lighting in this is almost perfect!
Only thing that could be improved would be to have a reflector below him, aimed to brighten up his shadows slightly.

Regarding the actual situation of an Iron Man figure in a park(?) - is abit dull to me, maybe if he was doing some sort of -action- it could make the scene more interesting. Swimming is the first thing I thought of for some reason.

I'd put him in a bath/pool and maybe move 1 arm facing upwards, and create a little motion in the water.
.. I'll leave it there before I begin to sound like a pedeofile

Thanks alot :)

>>195391

Thanks for the input :), I will be trying him in alot more scenes from now on after the good response i got from this topic (nothing like a confidence boost to get my ass into action and want to take more photos!)

The water idea sounds fun, there is a nice fountain that could work close by, I may give that a shot soon!

Lets just hope he floats!

Ah... good point...

I think a sink based test is in order!

it's not a huge issue but focus is off in 2 or 3 of these

These are fun. Pretty cool. Well done. Good that you followed through with the initial idea from yesterday then.

Hey OP,

First off I'd like to say amazing work, and I think it'd be a bit difficult to mistake him for anyone but Iron Man.
They're very neat in any case.

What kind of camera do you use?

I've been a long time owner of your run of the mill digital and I'm in the market now for something more professional.

Fun pictures. I like this series! IMO, nothing "exhibition hall" worthy, but still really fun. Thanks for following up.

I just meant the one from behind.

I suggest checking out McCarty Photoworks for inspiration.
The dude is a master at photographing toys.

My main suggestion would be to try to fit him into the scenery a little better, and shoot from lower angles to make him look larger. You may need to make little platforms to set him on and then shoot while laying on the ground.

>What kind of camera do you use?

Check the EXIF data, moran.
Pentax K10D.
Solid camera, great value if you can get it used.
But CanNikon users will make fun of you behind your back.

truth

Focus is off on some of these, which is damaging at the resolution presented. Carry artificial light with you and try shooting with a longer lens to blur out the background more for some shots.

I like this one.

Bumping, just because this iron man toy is fucking awesome. May I ask where you got it?

Above comment may be construed badly. Not saying your photos aren't worth a bump; I just come for the purty pictures, and your deliciously cute toy struck my fancy.

Thanks :),

I use a Pentax K10D, Never let me down! And as the K20D has just come out, its dirt cheap for what it is!!

And also if interested, these were shot with a Pentax 50mm f/1.4 (again, amazing value for money!)

>>195543

Thanks :)

>>195557

I shall do some looking up on him, and thanks for the idea, ill carry a few books or somthing for stands from now on and try it out :)

>>195583

Thanks :)

>>196325
