Cover I quickly did for my school's yearbook. Color is a bit off, but that might be due to my skills of color profiling or something. Originally it was CMYK, and I did this on PS7, and reopened just now on CS3, and converted to RGB, and... Yeah.
But you get the point?

nope, hate it hate it
i see what you were trying to do, but it falls short due to the really shooped looking shadow and the lackluster graphic design.
also, why is his face and hair glowing?
get someone else to do the photoshopping and graphic design part.

Insanely horrible comment.

>>187203
Why? (This was a school project, and I was the only one who could pull this off.) What is so bad in this?

>>187204
I'm so hurt. Please, stop.

Sorry, don't have tits. Only penis. :(

>>187243
Do you fail, or do I double fail? His hair and face is glowing because of the flashes behind him. That's also why his face looks dark as it looks.

Not much photoshop used here. Question mark is the biggest thing. (Except the title.)
Why can't /p/ give out some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism? Now this place isn't any better than dA with its "OMG IT'S SUPERB!" comments. Prove me wrong. :(

I could give you a long list of suggestions to improve the picture, but I'm a lazy man. But why would you want a giant question mark on the yearbook in the first place? It's not like the people in the book are unknown or anonymous.
>> Anonymous
if you really want that style, reshoot, paint someones face black get them to shut eyes and mouth etc then just fiddle around with the curves, as it currently with partial face black looks inconsistent.

cc here: The white text at the bottom of the blue box needs to be moved up a few points. For that matter, do something fun with it rather than just putting it all in one lump of shit pile of text on the left side of the page.
Other than that, I don't know.

Could not agree more.
As a PRO DESIGNER I can tell you that if I brought this to a client they'd fire me immediately, and if I client brought this to me I'd change everything about it.

OP needs to think more about what a yearbook is, and try to create something that visually expresses the content. This cover is a total non sequitur and seems like it would be more appropriate for an advertisement about missing children or date rape than a yearbook cover.

This yearbook is already printed some time ago. And everyone who has seen it (besides /p/) has liked the cover very much.

>>188069BAWWWWWWWWW

Just fuck off now. You come here to show this off and ask our opinion and then try the "MY DADDY LIKES IT, SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" response. If this was real life I'd have zero respect for that sort of response.

The cover is not good and most people have no taste or the slightest clue to good design.

I didn't mean it like that, but I just don't understand. That's the point. And I still don't see much wrong with it being a cover of a yearbook. Different expections on what yearbook should look like on the cover?

As long as you expect the cover of the yearbook to look like an anti-rape or stalker poster designed by infants you are okay.
