Pics are too big, but from the thumbnails they look very "artsy" for the sake of being artsy but don't appear to have any content.
>> Anonymous
Too lazy to crop, huh?
>> Anonymous
fail for the large file size when 4chan is having bandwidth issues... I can't even load them!
>> Anonymous
you're pretty skilled technically.

but they're also pretty boring, art school is supposed to fix that.
>> Anonymous
In all honesty, they're blurry and not interesting. Did you really frame these or is that a Photoshop trick?

I know that if you applied, you'd be accepted somewhere, but art school would most likely be a waste of your money. You can call anything art... it's just convincing a potential buyer of that if you want to make a living. (EVERYONE I've known who's gone to art school has ended up waiting tables or having another day job "until they catch on.")

Uhhhh, good luck applying.

Obviously you know a lot about the art world right? You can't just call anyhting art unless YOU are a specific person who holds weight in the art world and is known for having taste. Joe Schmoo can't sign a toilet and call it art if he hasnt been proven to know what art is. Everyone you know who went to art school didn't cut it? That sucks man, your friends must be shitty artists. I know artists who are selling several prints a week before even thinking of school. At the same time I know of several EE majors who arent doing anything in a EE field.

It looks like you just took pictures of pre-framed "art"...

It isn't that they're shitty artists, it's that what person X sees as "art" is different from what person Y sees. To many, Jackson Pollock's work looks like a 5-year-old could've flung. Is Mark Rothko lazy or is it something beyond us? True, those were painters, but not everyone who goes to art school is a painter.

Some prints sell because of the subject (ex: Eiffel Tower, though there are very many to choose from), while others sell for the artistry (ex: "Migrant Mother").

Of course, there's also this: http://theonlinephotographer.blogspot.com/2006/06/great-photographers-on-internet.html
