So if you're not planning on using manual focus lenses, it's a moot point. While I do think it's stupid thing for Nikon to do, I don't consider it a strike against the cameras. After all, you can't use Canon manual focus lenses on current Canon cameras either.
>>121488 True, but you have to use an adapter. That means you lose aperture coupling, which to some people is a pretty big deal. I've spent quite a lot of time shooting with cameras that have no aperture coupling as well as cameras with no meter, and I can say with certainty that I'd rather have no meter than have to stop down manually. Once again, I think it's bullshit that Nikon disabled metering with MF lenses, but given the alternative I'll take it.
