Strange building I found. Thoughts?

I thought it was pretty spooky.

congrats, you have successfully taken an interesting subject and used it to create an entirely uninteresting photo.

I really enjoy taking shots dead center, without any thought to composition or what's pleasing to the eye. Were you afraid to take more? Was it that spooky? Go back and take a few more, it could be cool. Don't put the subject smack dab in the middle of the fucking frame please. I wouldn't include that background, it's boring as shit. Keep taking photos, don't let your shit work define what you think of your abilities. If you enjoy it, just strive to learn from what you did wrong.

IMO, dead center does work and i have some shots that i think it works for.

also, if you go back make sure you go wider, get some of the surroundings and include the left bit you cut off.
otherwise its just some "spooky" building, at least with a background we get more of a feel for it and its surroundings that can influence just how "spooky" it is.
also, try it at night? that would def make it spookier.

foreground is still boring as dog shit

the building is framed to high u. get closer to it and also lower to the ground. make it look as if the building is hunching over you. if you get my meaning.

This isn't one of them. Also, it isn't perfectly straight, which a subject like this needs, and the whole building isn't even in the shot.

It's not to say that some shots taken dead center aren't good, but very few are. Op you just need to experiement. Try to get an eye for what would be visually appealing. It could be a really cool shot, try some night shots, try different angles. Hell, get closer to the building so we don't see that god forsaken foreground.
