I went out for a walk today and suddenly.
Kites dozens of the buggers.
can /p give me some hints on what I can do to improve this in post processing?
All I can think of is cropping a bit

Needs way less in-camera noise reduction. This is a perfect example of where no NR would be extremely hard to detect, as the grain would be "camouflaged" in the texture of the background.

(not op) The first thing I did when I got my camera was turn off noise reduction. I post my images at least a bit (import them into a library in lightroom for management) and if a pic needs NR I'll do it there.

Might look nicer with higher contrast. Also try popping out the greens more.
