Been lurking for a shit load of time around here and i feel it's time to post some shit while degrading myself to tripfaggotry. I rather not anyone comment on the gear. I really appreciate any constructive criticism on the part of my pics, because everywhere else i just get 1 liner replies which i put down to the fact i suck. But there can be no getting better without hurt piled on i guess.

I also appreciate an PPing tips, i kind of suck to be honest with anyone and am stuck using lightroom.

Hope that anonymous is forgiving this time.

Pic was taken in Mosque in Australia before friday prayers (yes, durkha durkha jihad and all of that)

Ausfaggot Windmill. Think it could be more interesting with PP, but can't put my finger on it.

i like them both.
the first one would be alot better if the big BRIGHT GLARING OH GOD MY EYES window wasnt there, thats not your fault though.
the second one has great colours

You're doing it wrong. Read the FAQ.

What's wrong with lightroom?

The first shot is ruined by the overexposed window, and at the same time your two subjects are too dark and have massive shadows on the right. Think about using all that window light on a reflector to get highlights on your subjects.

The second picture is meh. I'm not a fan of the silhouette look. You should show how the dusk light makes the landscape look, not just black it out like you held a black cutout of that scene to your lens and shot the sky.

Pic would have been more interesting if you had close up shot of the guy on the left. The light is good on his face. But, you probably would have never gotten the light right as you are probably in a Programmed mode which balanced the light for the bright light of the window.

Even more interesting is if you could have somehow included the other fella to his left maybe with a soft focus achieved by utilizing a wider aperture. Keep a small portion of the bottom of the window in the frame for some leading lines.

Your framing has included nothing that adds to the picture.

sorry, guy on right is the most interesting subject.

WASTE OF A 1-Ds/L lenses
now that that's out of the way
>>229892
that window is wayy overexposed and distracts from the whole shot, and the lines of the window lead the eye out of the picture
there is too much empty space
>>229894
ok for what it is, but cliche, overdone, etc

Actually, the pic was generously well exposed, i usually shoot a half a stop higher so i have light to play with. Generally i was going for the cliched "faith" being the illumination of man's heart as a subtle message so messed around with the tones a little.

I agree the framing could have been better done. For some reason that fan on top keeps annoying me and i can't chop it out (because i don't know how to)

Anyways here's an emulated BW shot. yeah yeah, insta art, but i like the kid. At the end of the trip he ran into me and i accidentally swung my camera into his face and he cried. I felt bad, but a part of me LOLD.

Taken generally in the same place. I feel the subject and the composition are good enough, hell who doesn't loev loli in swimsuits. Can't put my finger on where i could better my B+W regime. Comments would be helpful.

who did you steal the camera from?

Some random pro photographer, they're all fat and slow anyways. I'm looking to steal a Leica next.

Anyways with the critique above i've generally given more space to the bottom of the picture, toned down my insta-art contrasty look so the windows don't look blown out, and generally moved it towards it's original color. (The sliders are addictive)

Can't do much about the window lines, the place was just made that way and the window extends quite far.
