hey /p/ what is it called when car lights look like this is this a certain effect lens or shutterspeed? Also do you have any that look like this?

Are you talking about time-lapse pictures? This looks like it's a result of a fairly slow shutter speed but not long enough for a time-lapse photo. Then again, you might just need cars that are driving even faster than your lens can keep up.

I'm pretty sure that's called motion blur.

Look up slow-sync flash.

It's just a long exposure.

It's motion blur. Comes from making a slow exposure.

Time lapse is something else. That's when you take a series of pictures over time and then make a movie of them.

Slow-sync flash is related, but not this. It's when you combine flash with a slow shutter speed, which will give you a sharp subject where the flash hits and a motion blur in front of or behind them (depending on whether you tell it to sync the flash with the first or second shutter curtain). This particular shot is clearly not a flash shot of any kind. It's just a long exposure shot.
