>>77657 Preferably the hills should be approximately centered. As you can see it's skewed towards the left, hence darker. If it's shifted off-center to the right, it's overexposed. That's proper exposure in a technical sense. What really matters is the end result. In some cases, underexposure/overexposure makes for interesting lighting effects. In this case, it's dark, but that doesn't really do anything for the photo, so it stands to reason that a brighter exposure might be preferable, for the sake of better bringing out the colors.
