Set your f/, shutter, ISO, af-mode, drive mode, white balance, metering mode, shooting mode (p, av, tv, m, a-dep), exposure compentsation, flash exposure compensation, and file saving mode. Then you register them to the camera user setting.
On future shoots, you can set your lights up quickly, move the dial to the preset, and shoot away.
Also, if you have common settings that you use during urbex, you can dial all of them in as you pick up the camera without having to verify the settings.
