yes i did have my tripod on me, was a must.. i like shooting at the lowest iso possible so that normaly means slow shutter speed, especially in these dark conditions..
my original intentions with the first photo was to have the door as the focal point, as the pure white shining through and acting as an outline i thought it would make it stand out.. i think a prop of somesort could help, like a broken chair or somthing.. ah well, i still think it shows the atmosphere of the place..
for the 2nd one i spent alot of time tinkering with it, aswell as having a ithgter crop.. however i wanted to keep the cealing hole in, which i feel helps balance the photo out a bit, and cropping it would also mean loosing some of the 'dead space' on the right, which i dont want to do, and the whole point of keeping that in with a shallow dof i thought it looked quite cool and the wallpaper looks like shadows from some blinds or somthing instead..
