slides Poeticy
I have some of my mother's old slides from '62. Nowhere around here processes slides. I have a scanner but it doesn't work, the light is too strong. How can I scan them? Is there something I can make to reflect the light...etc?

Take them to someone with a good film scanner, who specializes in scanning such stuff (that is not a commercial photo lab on a corner). You will get crappy results trying to scan them on a flatbed, one way or another.

BTW, processing refers to developing the films, and has nothing to do in this case. If your local lab offers scanning the films, there's no real reason for them to not scan slides. But don't expect stellar results.

No one around here processes/developes/scans slides.

Then mail it in somewhere. If your country has internet, it must have at least few people/specialized labs that scan dias. ;) Try poking around usenet for reliable addresses.
