I like your shots, Vince, specially the last one. Bet you /facepalm'd once you noticed the iso setting on the way home though hah. Sucks when that happens. :[ Nice shots either way
>> Anonymous
>>170162
why didnt you turn down iso a bit for this one?

would be supppper nice without all the noise.

still like all of them though

I love the eagle's expression; "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE COLBERT SHOW WAS CANCELED?!"

Was on birding settings (1/800th wide open at F4) So Auto ISO was on to compensate for the variability, and the lack of light bumped the ISO up to 1100 lol

>>170187
Lol, I got a bunch of shots of the eagle, but that one was the funniest.

terrible noise, otherwise would've been good : <

>>170165
>>170164
I like these, noise can benefit somewhat monotone images so you can got away with the high iso here.

>>170161
Nicely shot

Overall I have to wonder what hell is up with your iso settings.

Oh shit I did shoot it with a lower shutter speed. (Aka lower ISO)

reminds me of that image of the woman jumping on her bed, and her arms are all bent awkwardly

...Why do you shoot in AP/SP mode?

I'm honestly surprised by this, all the pros I know shoot all manual except for like... 2 sports PJs.

ISO and Shutter speed are not the same thing
>> Anonymous
>>170219
It might be auto ISO? I don't know, but Vincent knows what he is talking about usually.
>> Anonymous
>>170219
No, but lower isos lead to lower shutter speeds.
>> Vincent !!8LCSE0Zp1mL
>>170213
Faster, Once you know and trust the metering system on your camera. Its more responsive to set the Shutter speed and let the Aperture (or in the case of the D200, ISO compensate once the aperture hits wide open.)
Its great for sports and birds because The shutter speed is the most important part, aperture and ISO are secondary.

>>170219
Like I was saying before Auto ISO was on, And since I knew how I wanted to meter the plant, slowing down the shutter from 1/800th to 1/320th, Dropped the ISO from 1100, to 500. SIMPLY based on the body's metering settings.
