I actually performed some physical activity yesterday. Went for a hike in the woods. Ended up being a much, much longer trail than I had expected.

There was lots of nature. But, fortunately, there was also reasonably good cell phone signal, so I could still check 4chan occasionally.

(Not nearly as much light as I'd have preferred, 'cause of the heavy canopy of trees, so this shot's a bit blurry)

That's useful to know. So, just out of curiosity, where did you go to elementary school, what was the name of your first pet, and what usernames do you prefer to use?

Also, generic nature shot.

I really like the first one
and the deer picture is good too.

The leaf ones I feel they need to be removed from the ground they are lying on, Unless the surrounding really contrasted the leaf, in color or texture, I feel like it should be the only thing in focus.

I can certainly see that for the majority of these shots, but do you think that about the deer and chipmonk too?

>>259231
You should really pick a tripcode or someone's going to steal that "NOBODY LIKES YOU GO AWAY" name and post things that misrepresent your real feelings.

>>259294
>crop is obviously way too tight.
Not sure what you mean by that. Not even sure if you mean it sarcastically or not.

>>259192

Needs a tighter field of view and more depth of field. Tree could've made a nice framing element if it wasn't so blurred.

>>259197
Blown highlights normally don't bother me much, but when they're *right in the middle of the frame, surrounded by a dark color*, they do things like distract the fuck out of this otherwise interesting, well-composed shot of what should be an uninteresting subject.

I'll comment on the rest later if I feel like getting around to it.

Some fatfag accidentally goes on a hike, and from nowhere this deer shows up, and ge gets a shot like this?

Definitely the best pic from the trip.

I toned down the highlights a bit. Better?

Unfortunately, I was already at ISO400 and 1/25th on a 300mm lens (and hey, good job Canon on the 70-300's IS). And this was the only chipmonk I saw who didn't immediately bolt before I could get my camera up to my eye.

Well, yes. It's cool that you managed to sneak up on wild(?) animals, and they're certainly not bad for shots you just happened to get on your walk. But in animal photography, there's wildlife photography by people who spend weeks in the woods stalking these motherfuckers, and there's photos of tame/captive deer and squirrels taken from touching distance -- your photos don't really stand up to comparison in either genre. You're too far away from the chipmunk and the deer isn't doing anything interesting.

No, I'm pretty sure he's satirizing the typical /p/ shitfest that goes like

1. Tripfag posts photos, most of which are pretty good.
2a. Troll mocks them.
or
2b. Someone offers constructive criticism.
3. Worn-down, oversensitized tripfag lashes out with an unreasonable reply.
4. Someone responds with a

That would've been really funny if I hadn't completely missed it and forced someone to explain the joke.

yawn. I know shooting in the woods is tuff because, for the most part, the woods are boring subject matter. But in the case that you don't get anything interesting, such as these, I say delete.
