OHHH! GAWD! AAAHH! 1750 Dollars!

Lol that 70-300 better shit rainbows on your picture for the price point! $800 for a lens
Sigma sells for $200
Nikon has a VR Version for $500
And Canon's IS version is $550

Also WTF is up with more "Megapixel Madness Marketing" camera's. the 14 MP version slows down the FPS even. Its killing functionality to get grainier pictures. Awesome...

have you used the sigma 70-300?

if so, how is it?

Its alright, Macro mode is fun, its quite sharp at its closest focus, But where it really sucks is AF speed, If it misses it will go through the entire range and then all the way back...

If you have the cash pick up the Nikon / Canon versions, Otherwise you will probably buy it then sell it later once you have more saved up for a better quality lens (I picked up a used 80-200 af-s when I sold my Sigma)

of course I paid $125 for the sigma, and $1000 for the 80-200 (and TC14E) So you get what you pay for!

Pic related, Was taken last winter with the 70-300 APO DG Macro version

$800?

well, Canon has this 70-300/4.5-4.6 "DO" for even more, and they manage to sell it despite it not having any advantages over the regular 70-300 except fancy looks.

good shop :D

id have to agree that its a pretty obscure lens, especially at the price, though i have seen a guy using one on the street and it did look pretty cool.
though how worthwhile the extra $'s are for not much more than a smaller overall package is a wonder.

also, just noticed what would appear to be the worlds smallest zoom twist distance if you know what i mean?...
