Sup /fit/,

So I used to drink 25g of iso whey protein in a shake after lifting, but recently I've been too lazy(don't have a freezer for frozen banana that I used to put in said shake to make sexeh consistencies.) So I started eating this little tub of pasta with Salmon from Marks and Spencers.

Im wondering if there is any difference with assimilation between taking the protein shake or eating the salmon? Would I be better off with the shake or is it just a minor difference that doesn't really matter?

Doesn't matter much.
Supplements like whey shakes are not necessary if you eat correctly. Fish and noodles is fantastic.
Protein and carbs, nothing better for post-workout.

My protein shake doubles as my breakfast (or at least half of it), but all my various vitamins and minerals and supplements go in it (fiber and joint shit) If I have to have drinks that have a wretched aftertaste, might as well make them all into one drink.... with bananas.

my diet is also allll fucked up because of work, so my morning shake makes sure i'm getting something in my stomach.

basically, it boils down to what you're doing with a protein shake. If you just need the protien, and have the time, make a meal (I'm pretty sure you can make something better for you than "this little tub of pasta with Salmon") If you're doing it cause it's convienent and you strapped for time, shake all the way
