ive been wondering about when people on fit diet and eat a certain amount of calories that if there is a restriction to what you eat? like if i was supposed to eat 1600 calories a day does it mean i can eat whatever i want as long as it is under 1600 calories? like if i were to eat a frozen pizza that is 400 calories in a day would that still be okay for losing fat? just using that as an example.

random:how much calories does grilled boneless chicken breast have?

for the last fucking time

eat more than your maintenance, you will gain weight
eat less than your maintenance, you will lose weight

find out your maintenance by looking at your daily bmr (google for more info)

grilled chicken boneless breast is rather good and filling and high in protein and for 6 oz, only like 200 calories, if that

if it's for losing weight, burning more calories than you're taking in. whatever those calories are is up to you

if you want to not get wrecked during workouts and recovery, then the calories have to be of best quality or you put yourself in a predicament that could get you injured or overtraining or just chronic fatigue

alright thanks.

but for the other guy, let me rephrase.

if my maintenance calorie intake was 2100 and i wanted to lose weight by eating only 1600 calories/day would it matter what i eat? as if i were to eat like 1 whole medium pizza from pizza hut but still stayed under 1600 calories a day?

1 whole medium pizza from pizza hut is over 1600 calories, but for the most part, it should be fine regardless. You would indeed lose weight in the long-run. You might not see the weight loss instantly though because something like that would be terribly imbalanced in nutrients - you'd probably end up having like 5000+ mg of sodium, when RDA is 2400 mg for 2000-2500 calories, and the sodium would cause water retention

if you needed 2000 calories to maintain your weight and you ate 1400 calories of mcdonalds every day YES YOU WOULD LOSE WEIGHT.

consider how much mcdonalds food takes to reach that 1400 calorie mark. that's like one large soda.
