Hey /fit/

I need some advice. I had a baby a couple months ago, which has left me with soggy-belly syndrome and about 50 lbs I’d like to lose (I was overweight when I got pregnant though). Also, I’m breastfeeding, so I can’t do any crazy diets or cut too many calories or nutrients, which is good because not only do I not believe that dieting alone is the answer to most people’s weight problems, but I also I don’t think my diet is terrible. From what I’ve read though, breastfeeding requires an extra 500 calories a day. Like most fatties, I mostly just need to exercise. I know you guys hate when people say they don’t have time to exercise, but with a new baby it really is hard. I’d like to start running or cycling or some kind of cardio that is cheap and easy. How much should I do to start? Any other advice/suggestions?

Pic not terribly unrelated

This is really outside of /fit/s field of expertise. But feel free to come back if you want to teach your kid about the magic of OATZ n' SQUATZ.

Advice on exercise is out of /fit/'s expertise? o.O

How many months ago exactly did you give birth? If you start too soon (and without doctor's ok) your body will tell you (massive bleeding). Since you're breastfeeding, you should really take it easy since breastfeeding burns a LOT of calories anyway.

For cheap cardio, put baby in a stroller and jog/walk behind it. I wouldn't suggest running with the stroller though.

Also for the belly, Palmers makes firming belly butter lotion that works well. Comes in scented and non-scented.
