What's wrong with my body? Anonymous
Hi fit. I try to work out at least once a week (two jobs + summer school = laziness) and I can definitely see physical improvements. I never seem to gain or lose weight however, and that kind of worries me. I am 5'9- 5'10'', and yet I weigh over 170 pounds. My waist however is borderlining from 30-31. What's wrong with my weight?

If that isn't motivation enough to start busting your ass off, I don't know what is.

OP here, I never thought of myself as fat considering that I fit into small size shirts decently (I have broad shoulders, so usually I need tapered Mediums). My weight just doesn't seem to correspond to how I look. My friend who is the same height and LESS weight (160) looks a helluva lot fatter than I do.

Weight doesn't matter, bodyfat percentage does.

A normal one hundred fifty pound male may be considered thin, while a normal one hundred and fifty pound girl would be considered a little fatty. You need to take muscle mass into the equation.

Also, your problem is simple. You need to exert more calories than your body intakes. A deficit of 3500 calories will cause a single pound of fat loss.

You could try micromanaging your diet, and attempting to figure out how much you burn per day, and tinker like that for no reason.

Or you could cut out all liquids besides water, start exercising slightly more, eat six small meals a day, and clean up your diet. Unless you have some type of thyroid problem, the fat should just melt off.
