'sup /fit/.

I have some trouble with my left knee. I have no idea what it is.

I can run for a while, but eventually my knee will start to hurt. On the outer side of the knee, some sinews or whatnot starts to hurt once I simultaneously lift and bend the knee (which is pretty usual when I run). I also feel a joint of pain once the foot hits the ground, when the muscles stop the impact or whatever.

Do any of you have any idea what this might be, and how I can get better? I've had it since March, when I was sprinting in rather deep snow... I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my joints, and I seriously doubt it's caused by contact injury.

Thanks in advance.

Could be a shitload of things.
Including a worn down cartilege.
Meniscus? Only one way to be sure, see a doc, get an artroscopy or MR.

Other than that rest. Don't worsen.

Go see a specialist... people here really aren't qualified to diagnose you over the internet.

It's been three months now so it wont go away like that ask a doctor for ultrasound/x-ray or something

Obvious question, but have you stopped running for a bit. Try low impact exercises, cycling etc.

I didn't run for about a month, I only went spinning and cycling, things like that. Didn't hurt my knee one bit (though I occasionally felt something was wrong in there). I felt confident enough to take a run on Monday, but it hurt, so I stopped. Ran 15km on Tuesday, hurt like a bitch. You see, I'm in the army, surrounded by a few geniuses and many tards. Plenty of medics who don't do shit besides that one time they were in the Middle East.

Now, I got a visit to the doctor next Monday, 2nd June. Trouble is, this week sees a lot of physical tests. Not a problem, but there are two running tests, a 3km and a 7km with backpack.

It's a selection for another unit, an elite one, but I'll just say it as it is; I can probably run, but I won't do well and will probably harm myself. If I'm lucky, they might fix me an exam there and then. And if I'm unlucky, they'll throw me out :/.

That sounds very similar to what happened to my knee when I first started running. My IT band was inflamed. I just had to ice the outside part of my knee and a little above it, and it really helped. It didn't last near as long as yours sounds like it has. Still would be best to talk to someone who knows what they are doing though.
