Hey /fit/ heres a question on your favorite exercise. When doing squats, is it bad to place a 10lb plate behind your hell? Why/Why not

Actually weight lifting shoes are quite flat. Having a nice flat base helps balance and bad form isn't an excuse to compensate. Chucks are good, cheap weightlifting shoes. Wear those.

I take 'em off at the rack.

It was also recommended by my personal trainer who works at the gym, so I doubt he'd dog me about it :)

Think op meant Heel. I've seen some people do it at gym but with a block of wood.
