hey /fit/ the cold/flu virus is in it's early stages and I don't want to be sick. is there any tips to stay a few steps ahead of the viruses and keep thier effects down? Besides overdosing on Vitamin C, drinking plenty of water and going to bed early?

(no idea if the pic is related... looks cool thou)

nothing you can do
maybe if you could get some antiviral medication somewhere
but you wont get it, especially not fast enough to do any good

why not build up your immune system by letting the virus play itself out and not taking any drugs. maybe you will get less sick next time

Medicine is for fucking pussies.

Get as much rest as possible. Every time a roommate gets sick I make sure I'm getting a decent amount of sleep or a little extra and haven't caught anything for years.

i've heard a sauna (or i suppose a long hot shower would do the same) will boost your immune system due to inreased body temperature, which could help you "sweat it out" as it were. just don't get dehydrated.

This stuff is pretty much the only stuff proven to both reduce the symptoms of your cold and get rid of the bug faster.

When I get a cold I pop 2 of these, 2 the next day, and by the 3rd day, before my cold has even had a chance to get bad... its gone.

No, that doesn't do much to fight the cold, it just clears out the sinuses and soothes the throat.
