If anyone has some education in nutrition maybe you can clear this up:

Why exactly can't I live off junk food plus a vitamin supplement?

For instance, 2300 calories/day of:
soda + peanutbutter sandwiches + multivitamin + metamucil

What, if anything, is unhealthy about this?

You go do that, faggot.

You're not getting enough protein, carbs, fiber, and tons of other vitamins and minerals that are found in healthy foods.

Peanut butter sandwiches *when using the right peanut butter* is high in protein and low in LDL fats so I dont think it would count as much as junk food.

But that sounds like you'd be crash dieting and depriving yourself of other vitamins and minerals that aren't found in multivitamins.

Plus, with multivitamins, you're only getting a small amount of what you need and not in balanced proportions. *if you take more to try and fix that, you'll end up overdoing it and all of it, along with your money, will just come out in your urine*

In short, eat actual foods and You'll be better off.

If all the carbs you take comes from sugar, you're basically gonna fuck up your metabolism and crash harder than a cokehead without his daily fix.
