KETTLEBELLS Anonymous
Hai /fit/.

What do you think of kettlebells ?

Pretty awesome

Overpriced marketing gimmick. I'm not saying they're not effective, if you have the money, by all means go by one, but you're going to get the same basic benefits from swinging around a dumbbell.

I know a few pro-body builders and none of them use them.

They're basically like regular dumbells, only shaped differently.

Nothing special

Therefore they're useless amirite?
>> Anonymous

Not saying they're useless. I'm just saying that they aren't a necessity. Go ahead and use them if you want.

Also, thanks for making my clit tingle.

Kostya Tszyu used them in his training, and he was a bad ass.

Bodybuilders not using them means jack shit depending on your goals. Most bodybuilders don't do any olympic lifting, which would be vital for another person's goals.

If Fedor uses kettlebells they have to work.

they are an "old school" strongman type of apparatus. there is russian dude that writes books and he features them. It doesn't sound all that bad to me, I guess it is pretty simple, and the overall number that you use is less than standard free weights. but you have to learn how to perform the proper movements, thus making you dependent on books and whatnot, as most of the trainerfags are not aware of this kind of equipment, nor do they have them at your local 24 hour fitness...

too expensive for what they are.

I think it would be cheaper in the long run than getting a gym membership

as would getting olympic weights.

They are fun but they are not the ultimate fitness tool or any of that shit that dragon door spouts off. I have nine of them ranging from 8 kg to 40 kg, and they are pretty challenging and keep things interesting. One thing's for sure, busting your ass with these things pretty much makes it impossible to stay fat with any sort of diet at all.

I like what you said, but if you work hard at any exercise you're going to lose weight

OP again, where did you bought them ? My gym have some kettlebells ( martial arts gym, i do boxing there) but they owner don't remeber where he got them.

yeah that's totally true. i guess it's a matter of motivation; I lift kettlebells a lot harder and longer than I lift barbells.

I got mine through a company called Agatsu that ships out of Canada and the US, they are relatively cheap compared to fucking Dragon Door kettlebells.
