I have recently started to want to work out, the only problem is I only know what I want to achieve, not what to do or where to start. What I want to achieve is in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly_jcHbWsTU at around the times between 0:56 and 2:00. What work out plans would you guys recommend to achieve this goal.

Any more formal workout plans that have more variety? I heard that you should rotate muscles you exercise to make sure they don't get used to the exercise.

Will I be able to have the equipment availible for this program at a YMCA? Suggestions still open.

I go to the YMCA. All you need is a power rack, bench, olympic sized barbell, and free weights. The facility usually has more than enough for stronglifts.

Will this also work my lower body, I don't want to be tiny leg man, or tiny forearm man thinking about it. Also what kind of diet will i need?

P.S thank you for all the advice thus far.

All 5x5 programs use squat and deadlift, which are whole body workouts.

Once again thanks for all the help, another question is if I should do cardio at the same time, I feel i should to increase my fitness level however wouldn't it counter the muscle growth to do it. Don't flame me if I'm wrong, I'm new to this.

I'm retarded and I do cardio after lifting. Just 2 miles though. Not sure if its bad or not, nothing bad so far, still making progress in both areas.

cardio is fine if it doesn't hinder your recovery.
If I feel sore all over from the last workout, I don't go running for an hour.
Otherwise just blast away.
I bike 20 minutes for warmup and cooldown each, it reduces soreness and keeps my knees lubed for squats.
