Hey /fit/

My triceps are killing me. On Wednesday I had to do pushups constantly for about 5 minutes. I must have done 100 in full football gear. Now, I can't bend my arms further than 90 degrees with out major pain in my triceps.

How can I help this? Should I apply heat?

alternate between heat and cold. as soon as you get comfortable with one temp, shift to the other, repeat. stay hydrated and keep eating right

I don't have any fish oil right now, would you recommend GNC brand fish oil? I'd be able to pick that up tomorrow.

But for right now, where else can I find the ingredients found in fish oil that help?

no OP. it's perfectly normal and will pass in time with the right rest, recovery and diet. chill the fuck out

its not lactic acid faggot

lactic acids are very temporary and occur minutes after working out

I'd just take some warm baths and leave them alone for a while, pushing through it by doing more workouts would probably damage your muscles, you might have micro-tears in them from going overboard on the intensity of that 5 min workout

rest sleep warmth stretching and healthy fewd, work out moderately with really light weights as pain allows, don't try to push through it though.

Is trying to stretch them a good idea? Or could that possibly lead to a pulled tricep or what not?

stretch to the point where it hurts, but no further, and don't bounce back and forth between painful and comfortable when you stretch or you'll definately do something wrong.
