Sup /fit/.
My sleep has been bothering lately, I'm 20, 5'6 and about 117 pounds. My issue is that I find it incredably hard to wake up in the morning alot. I usually get between 6-8 hours sleep and it's not a BAWWWW I HAVE NOTHING TO GET UP FOR! My mental health is fine and i really NEED to get up on time for uni and shit. My diet is pretty plain but i do get alot of sugar. Is it just a case of "Get the fuck out of bed you lazy fuck." as when the alarm clock goes off i just turn it off and put the tv on then drop straight back off to sleep.

Tried that. i just get up, walk over to it, turn it off, and get back into bed.

actually, that doesn't work for me... i have to literally put my alarm clock behind my desk so that i have to fumble around for a while... otherwise i just hop out of bed, unplug, and sleep again

How long do you sleep without the alarm clock? That will give you a good idea of how much sleep you really need and if you're just tired from cutting short.

Without an alarm clock, I still sleep 8 hours +-15 minutes, so that's what I try to get every time I have to wake up for school too.

If i just sleep i find that I can comfortably sleep for 12 hours. The last 4 though are me waking up then dropping off again though.

If you don't get up and go to class, you'll fail and be forced out of uni. Then you'll be poor and either homeless or working some shit minimum wage burger-flipping job.

Thinking about this is what motivated me to get up while I was in college.

i commuted to class and lived at home. every morning my mom would open my bedroom door, turn my light on, and yell at me. "are you going to school? are you dropping out of school? looks like you're gonna be a loser for the rest of your life. so you're not going to school?". then she'd turn the light off and leave. i had to hear this every damn morning despite the fact that i had a 3.8 gpa and i was a biochemistry major. she gave me the same speech literally until the day i graduated.

If you skip class, you will enter a downward spiral of drug use and prison time.

I genuinely do care about all this shit and it scares me. But i'm a different person when i wake up, i genuinely don't care less about anything except delicious, delicious sleep.

I have the same problem as OP. I go to bed around 10:30-11:30, and usually get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, but i still find a couple mornings per week i'm waking up minutes before my class starts, and all i can remember of my alarm clock is getting up to trudge across the freezing room to turn it off, then trudging back into the warm covers to go back to sleep (also related to my problem might be the fact that we don't have heat, which MIGHT help once it gets a bit warmer). Like he stated, i'm a different person as well when i wake-up (mind focused on not freezing instead of getting up)

Have a thin blanket next to the bed when you get up, walk to switch alarm clock off with the blanket wrapped round you, and hopefully that'll reduce the temptation of jumping back into the cosy depths of your bed...
