Every time I do single arm tricep extensions, my arm clicks. Should I just keep going? I used to do mainly tricep kick backs and nothing was wrong then.

Do they click in your elbow area?

It used to do that for me, but I kept it up and it eventually went away. Ive noticed that I need to warm up my arms more to prevent any popping noises.

My wrists click when I do heavy laterals stuff like rowing. I'm fine when I do chins though.

Try warming up the areas that click before doing the extension

My shoulder always clicks. No matter what I do.

Same thing happens to me with shoulder press for the first few reps, also my elbows pop and click several times a day whether Im working out or not and I never have any joint pain or anything, I think its just a genetic thing
>> rotational exercises Anonymous
I have no idea if it works or not, but when I was in the Army [Ft. Sill, OK t(-_-t)] they had us do rotations as well as stretches.

For example, when we had a PT session that emphasized push-ups, after working out and stretching, we would do five shoulder rotations (hanging your arms at your sides, hunching the shoulder up and around in a circular motion) forwards and five in the opposite direction. Then we would circle our arms five times in both directions (just swing your arms in a circle). Someone working out normally would do these rotational cool-downs after doing any sort of exercise that involved the shoulder (chest, back, and arms).

I still do it now ten years later. I don't know the physiological reason that it works, but in my experience I haven't had problems with clicking joints.

Some popping, clicking, noises is ok *once in a while*. even a several in succession. But not every time, that is a problem. chiropractors fix that, that's they're thing.

chiropractor (plural chiropractors)

A doctor who specializes in the hands on (or hand-held instrumental) movement of the bone structure of the body to improve the function of the joints and/or nervous system. The medical practice as described is known as chiropractics.

I seem to be the only one recommended them.

/fit/ to build mass in my biceps what exercises with freehand weights should I do.

Also, is it better to do less reps with more weight or to do alot of reps with less weight?

or find an even balance?

That's because they aren't real doctors and no one with common sense would recommend them. Barring holistic techniques, vague anecdotal info, and outright lies, no chiro can do any more for you than a masseuse.

more weight, less reps = bulk
less weight, more reps = definition/cut

No.

This cannot be emphasized enough. HOW you workout has nothing to do with how "ripped" you look. Lifting weights ONLY builds muscle. That's it. All the sit-ups in the world won't turn a pot belly into a six-pack; it takes a lower-calorie diet to reduce your body fat content.

Of course, this can be aided by having a larger volume of muscle mass since more muscle burns more calories.

As far as reps go, 8-12 per set. More tomorrow, I'm tired.

i don't have massage benefits coverage, so i haven't really tried it. i've had great improvement with a chiropractor for my low back injury, i could bar deadlift 150 lbs (slightly more than my bodyweight) 3x12 because of it. before a few chiropractic adjustments, my low back would prevent me workouts with my personal trainer, we would always stop at anything resembling deadlifts, we didn't want to aggravate my injury. it's ok now, my lower back, which is notorious as being "unhealable" is definitely getting stronger.

i suspect it's the cost that's got that answer, so it's being avoided and untried, and perhaps doesn't seem necessary. i know it's the "popular thing" to bash them, but it's not like mystic fortune telling hiding in a shady alley in the untrusteworthy part of town. it's got a governing body of practice and there's as many chiro clinics as dentists and as walk in regular doctor clinics: lots.

i feel better from going to a chiropractor. i am not really sure what else I can say beyond that.

I'm not disagreeing with what you said but he didn't say anything about getting ripped. He just answered how to build mass, which was practically what you answered.
