Hey /fit/,
Does walking on your toes helps build leg muscles? Will it give me foot problems?

>Will it give me foot problems?
Are your feet made to function that way?

Just do your squats and calf raises idiot.

Walking on your hands build upper body (or should we call it lower body, lulz) muscles, and no, it doesn't give you hand problems, in fact it increases your chance to get laid by about a million if you are using handwalking as your main form of locomotion.

Generally, calfs is what it will help, but only if you push off from flat stand. Don't ron only on your toes, it doesn't do anything. I think landing on your heel and pushing with toes is what is supposed to do to build muscle. I might be wrong.

Well, there's millions of bitches who walk around on their toes all the time (see: fuck me boots), and I don't think they develop any sort of problems. And, yes, it will make your calves stronger.

Also, if you run at ALL, you should be running on JUST that part of your foot. It makes you faster because less of your foot contacts the ground.

PROTIP: before evolving to their bipedal form, as an animal, your ancestors would have walked on the 'toes' as you call it. That is the way your foot is designed. It will strengthen your calf muscles. It will reduce strain on your knees (extra shock absorption through flexion of the ankle joint.
Modern heel-walking is mostly a side effect of the rigidity of modern footwear making a gliding heel-toe motion more efficient since the ankle cannot flex/extend for 'proper' toe walking.

Yes, you are wrong. Landing on heels -> fuxxored knees/heels.
However, NOT locking the foot out, allowing the ankle to flex as you land (bringing the heel closer to the ground but not on it) before extending as you push off again, will help.

All heels have ever done is made my legs hurt, because I carried a fat chick up a hill while wearing them.
