/fit/ I lost a lot of weight this year (18kg) doing protein diet, lots of water and tons of exercise. My family won't shut up about it since I moved back with them because they are all fat they want to lose weight too. I have to cook them dinner every night (That they don't skimp out on me and go eat at a restaurant of fail) because I am a parasite single until the new year when I apply for student loans. So tl;dr- What are some healthy inexpensive meals to cook for a full family of four? How can I make them shut up and actually go exercise? Should I invest in earplugs? Pic unrelated googled

1. couscous with a nice and healthy side salad.
2. to get them to exercise, just motivate them. anon obviously doesn't know your family but maybe you could tell them how you've been feeling since the weight loss. i went through the same thing as you, and it just felt fantastic to lose all the weight that's been been bugging me for years. maybe then they could finally exercise. also, start slow because you may not want to overwhelm them too much..

Healthy inexpensive meal:

50g whole wheat pasta per person (dry weight)
2 tins of butter beans, drained and washed (pic related)
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tins chopped tomatoes
Salt & black pepper (easy on the salt)
Herbs like thyme/basil/oregano
Squeeze of lemon juice
Teaspoon brown sugar

1. Put the olive oil in a large saucepan and heat, add the garlic and onion and fry for a minute or so.
2. Add the lemon juice, herbs, salt and pepper, stir around.
3. Add the chopped tomatoes, stir around again, add the brown sugar.
4. Continue cooking the sauce for around 20 minutes on a low heat.
5. Allow the sauce to cool and put in a blender, blend until smooth.
6. Put the now blended sauce back in the saucepan and add the washed butter beans. Warm and allow the beans to absorb some of the

sauce.
7. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the pack.
8. Mix together.
9. ???
10. Profit!

The longer it is left before it is eaten improves the flavour, best if you make it a day earlier and put the sauce in the refridgerator.
Each serving is about 400 kcal.
Taste the sauce before the end, it should be mildly sweet (mostly from the tomatoes).

1. Go to your local BJ's, Costco, ect.
2. Buy the 30 lbs. bags of Purdue grilled skinless chicken breast.
3. Cook for dinner

Easy, cheap, good source of protein.

As for your second problem, I was always horrible at motivating people.
