Hey /fit/ i have a problem with my shoulders. Well, i have little to no muscle on them, and want to know a good way to fix that. I just started going to a gym, and spend quite a bit of time on the shoulder press, but are there any other, like, at home exercises to do to build shoulder muscle when not at the gym?

Thanks

Pull ups, push ups.

Get some dumbbels. http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ShouldWt.html

Get some protein powder for shakes.

Wat? I've seen dumbbell sets cheaper than protein powder. Just get a cheap pair of dumbbells to start off with.

Also, you don't really need heavy ones regardless.

If your shoulders are as weak as you say they are, you won't be lifting much anyhow.

really? Awesome, i guess ill look for them regardless of the price. I get a paycheck in a day or two so it shouldnt be a problem now that i think about it

thanks

You might aswell get a set of freeweights in the long run. You are going to get to the point where dumbbell's just arent heavy enough. With a set of 20kg freeweights you can adjust the weight over time to keep it difficult.

Except he'll start working out with the heavier weights and ruin his shoulders for weeks.

Start with some light dumbells and do high reps lower weight sets for a few weeks until your shoulder muscles develop a little strength, then use heavier weights with lower reps for some bulk.

Well its his own fault if he doesnt do his research.

Be careful with them shoulders. I managed to damage mine.
2 years & $12,000 later I can lift a glass of water or brush my hair with that arm now.
Working to get it back in shape....very long & painful process.
