Getting back into it - where to start? Anonymous
Greetings, /fit/,

A few years ago, I used to be on the ice 4 nights a week, could stop ANY puck, had abs that made me want to make out with myself and awesome flexibility and endurance...and then I got injured, got a job with insane hours, ate too much fast food, etc.

I want to fix all this. I know there's no fast track or easy way back, but how/where do I start? I am 31, so my metabolism's slowed down a bit, I'm not made out of cartilage and springs anymore and some joints are making sad/angry noises now ~cringe~...

Pic related. Clark is ALWAYS related.

More from OP. I have started walking to work and doing weights again, and I now refuse to go to any fast food joint that isn't a Subway and I have sworn off pop for good (we'll see how long that lasts, heh) and that has helped, but what's the next step and what can I do to get some flexibility and joint health back?

Why not start playing hockey again if you can?

Don't live near a rink yet, still have really bad office hours.

I'll probably start skating a lot more once my contract is up.

Unemployment really sucks, but you should see what it does for your save percentage vs. beer leaguers :)
