Hey /fit/ Im a huge fat ass who is determined to lose weight. Im 6ft 2in and about 260lbs. I know I should start with cardio, and so I will. Ive decided to start walking/jogging/running and tomorrow I am going to buy some shoes for said purpose. The only ones that can support my insane arch and pronation are the Brooks Beasts. This will be the first time I spend 160 on shoes and insoles but w/e. They feel so damn good! Fuck. Anyways, I was wondering if you had any tips on running? Jogging? Walking? Etc? I dont want to be RIPPED. I just want to drop maybe 50lbs. Thats kind of my goal. I dont care how long it takes. I need a new hobby. Discuss.

You already know the answers yourself. No, running won't make you RIPPED. You also won't lose 50 lbs with running alone. At least not anytime soon. You need to reduce your calorie intake.

I wouldn't start running just yet. Start off with walking, because you could mess up your knees with all the weight.
