first of all my dear chap, it seems to me (and i'm by no means a qualified doctor) that you have a slipped disc.
Now by all means go an see a doctor, however there are a few simple things you can do to aleviate the pain.
Go buy yourself a heat pack and leave it on the sauce of pain for 30 mins at a time, also try sleeping on your back tonight without a pillow (if you are no used to this try substituting your pillows for a folded blanket). The plan here is to keep your posture as straight as possible, this can help by reducing the pressure on the back.
