Hello /fit/

I'm 6'4-6'5 and nearly 400 pounds (inb4fatass). Even though I'm fat I look way skinnier than people who are.. lets say 6 foot do at my weight. Does the 4 inch difference make us look so different? I don't go to the gym and I don't exorcise. I plan on getting a gym membership this month and just doing cardio to lose weight. I don't have a diet yet nor do I know how to make one that's for me. Is there any pre-made diet plans /fit/ can show me and I can try to see which one is right for me.

>Lifting weights stimulates the release of a host of fat burning enzymes, inhibits many fat storing enzymes and tells your fat to burn fat and not muscle as fuel.

I did and got this:

> "Putting it to the numbers" reveals that resting muscle burns a mere tenth of that - about 5 to 6 calories per pound per day, Ellis says. Since every pound of fat burns 2 calories a day, muscle hardly confers a hefty metabolic advantage - a mere 3 to 4 additional calories per pound.
