Just wondering, what's the exercise called where you lay yourself out as if doing pushups, but knife your legs in toward the hands, jump them back, then in at the other side?

i've got an exercise you should try where you knife your head in towards the brain, and then jump them back

Can't find anything on chinese kick squats, and squat kicks look nothing like it - known by any other names?

OP, sounds like they want to be mountain climbers

burpees?

I wouldn't mind a bit of climbing, but right now I'm just looking for an exercise to replace squats. I keep giving myself lower back injuries from going too far too fast - the physio has had me off for the last 9 days. These feel like they're making me work.

..that said, for climbing, recommendations?

Here's what I was talking about OP, but the mountain climbers are at the bottom.

I'll try those. The ones I was talking about, though, you move both legs. Start in front leaning rest, then jump both legs in towards the right hand, then back to front leaning rest, then in towards th left. Then back. Repeat.
