I cut High Fructose Corn Syrup out of my diet a long long time ago, but exactly what is the problem with it?

When I tell my friends that I'm avoiding HFCS, they ask me why. All I can say is... "It's bad for you..." "But why" "because it is..."

I never understood how it's different than sugar, can someone help explain this to me?

It rapes your triglyceride and LDL cholesterol levels. Keep in mind that rats that never ate any HFCS injected food lived for 5 years. The rats that ate and drank hfcs food died after 5 weeks (with terrible organ damage).

keep in mind though that the rats probably ate HFCS in a MUCH higher proportionate amount then any human ever would, having a soda or something every now and then isn't going to kill you

Everything in moderation is fine. But honestly HFCS is a VERY cheap alternative to using real sugar (this is why everyone and their mother uses it in wholesale production of foods). There's very few processed foods that don't use it.

Fructose is a simple carb and is tus quickly digested. This gives a sudden burst of energy and the surplus is stored as fat.
Not to mention that large amounts of sugar can lead to DIABEETUS
