Hey /fit/, I was wondering what would be some good, simple exercises that can be done to give a good measure of overall fitness and what levels would be considered fit.
For example, I'd consider being able to do 50 push-ups pretty good.

There are lots of different fitness standards already out there. If you want a simplistic answer, use the Army or Marine Corps standards. There are many components of fitness, like speed, power, strength, endurance, cardiorespiratory, etc. If you're into Crossfit, they think you need to excel at every aspect of fitness to be considered fit.

Ask a meathead here in /fit/ and they'll say you need to squat 2.5x bodyweight and sprint down a gazelle to be considered fit. Just depends on who you ask.

That's only 3 though, got any others? Those 3 exercises miss so much of the rest of the body.

How many chin-ups, single-legged squats, etc.

Just the basics like has been said, squats, bench, pull ups, push ups, mile run, 40, beep test etc.

its a general arm strength, core strength, leg strength.

to be honest, unless you're going to include every excercise, you're going to leave out a portion of the body. especially since a lot of exercises are not just one muscle, but a series of muscles working together at different intensities.
