I'm 19 and I go to college with a lot of girls whom i'd love to impress. This is my body shot I guess. I think im overweight, my family says im underweight, and my friends say i should work out.

All I really want is to be skinny really.

So how much would you estimate i need to lose in order to be skinny? And skinny as in if i had abs, you could see them. Also, when i sit down i have like a freakishly small a-cup, so i'd also like to lose that.

PROTIP: Lose weight and lift weights until you've achieved the look you want.
>> Anonymous
your family is trying to justify fatness... you *aren't* skinny

avoid fast food, avoid soda, maye run some... if you're motivated, start working out
>> Anonymous
How much do you weight? and to see abs you only need to lose bodyfat, but abs isnt the endall to hawtness. Guys with abs and no definition look liek faggots...are you a faggot?
>> Anonymous
Oftentimes people who look skinny have a very high bodyfat percentage. Go lift some weights.

OP here, the best i can probably do is lift some 20lb weights i have in my room. I also have a small trampoline, a stretchy thing with handles and sidewalks in my neighborhood for running. I'm not really into going to a gym and i really don't care for swimming.

So what can i do with all that?

Fail hard?

>>131239
Use the stretchy thing with handles as a slingshot to launch the 20 lb dumbbells onto the trampoline and then try to catch them after they bounce back.

I just weighed at 165 lbs. I'm also 6'0 if it matters.

I didn't mean all I can lift is 20 lbs, i meant thats the largets weights i have.

What are you going to do, walk around school with your shirt off?

It would look better for you to go to a gym and make your entire body grow than simply concentrating on your abs, because that's the "popular thing".

Heavy weight training raises your metabolism to a point unreachable otherwise without HIIT, which you would probably want to start doing both.

Anyway, if you are stuck in your house.

>Sadly i am stuck at home. Theres not a gym around for about 20 miles or so.

That's a bodyweight routine at the bottom of my post, not a Strength-Training routine.

You do it in your house.

And you can do HIIT on a track, it's just sprint-work.

Google it.

>I also have a small trampoline, a stretchy thing with handles and sidewalks in my neighborhood for running

Good news, with that stuff, you can't do dick!

Body weight exercises and running. Lots and lots of running. Unless you want to take the initiative to go to the gym, you won't get the gains I know you are hoping for. Put in minimal effort and enthusiasm, you'll get the same back in results. If you're going to do this, go balls deep, do it right, and don't waste your time with half assed ideas and notions.

If you aren't Trolling, then you need to realize that you won't get the results you want until you stop acting with a fat-kid mentality.

You're 19 years old, you don't need to be told what type of food is healthy and unhealthy. In the back of your mind, you know.

Here's a good gauge, if it tastes good, then it isn't good for you.

Cept Beef Jerky and Eggs.

Mmmmm Jerky.

Skinny/toned has to do with body fat %, not necc. weight. When your bf% gets to 10% and below you start to get that toned ripped look. You could try putting on muscle which lead to losing more fat. Also that closer you are to 10 percent, the harder it gets to lose fat as your body fights to keep those fat stores. You're prob. going to need something like crossfit or p90X to help you cross that last hurdle.

OP here again. A month or so ago i was lifting some weights(doing curls). And i didn't break a sweat. Do i have to break a sweat in order to gain muscle?

Fail.

OP here again, I have the leg shaking syndrome thing, and my parents believe that since i have that im skinny since i often shake my leg hours at a time and when i stand up i notice my legs are drenched with sweat.

Is that valid? or are they just bullshiting me? Because i've been taking pills to stop the shaking, but if it lets me burn calories or w/e i should keep it going right?

OP here.

How can I get my muscles to stay flexed? I figure, they look bigger when flexed. So I'll start walking around with my abs and arms flexed. Make sense?

Figure out your BMR and EER, then hack off 500kcal off of it. That is how much you are allocated to eat. Limit your shitty food intake, you will have to research how, you seem mentally inept in this area.

Look up HIIT. Do it 2-3 times a week if your joints can support it, allow a day or two rest between. Alternatively, go for a 30-45 minute run M-F on an empty stomach.

No weights? Burpees, do them. Pull ups, do them, push ups, do them, jump squats, do them, crunches/sit ups, do them, lunges, do them, dips, do them.

You might be a troll, and the best bet might be for you to just get a high paying job and go get a BMW or something.

Op here.

Thanks man. That really helped. I will look into those.

Last thing, how long would it take me to lose this extra flab, love handles and mantits? I plan to run in the mornings, do a lot of push ups/burpees/crunches/ and I plan to maybe do the HIIT thing.

And what would be a practical schedule? Should i run for 30 mins - then come home and do a shit load of pull ups, crunches and push ups? How long should i wait in between these?

>>131310
You're safely looking at 2lbs a week on average if you stick to it and research. Anything more and you can just assume you are losing muscle, and by the looks of things, you need all the muscle you can get
>> Anonymous
>>131316
Ok, so 2 lbs huh? The only thing i need to do is look into the HIIT thing and ill be set. Im just wondering if I need a rest day? Because right now im ready to do this every morning until i get the look i want.

And I'm also going to be lifting my 20 lbs dumbells in the set up as well. So how many reps should i do of those?
>> Anonymous
You are so full of misconceptions it isn't funny.

Curls don't do shit.

Shaking your legs for a long time doesn't do shit.

Going for "skinny" will not get you the look you have in mind.

You have to do weightlifting AND cardio to get the look you need.

By weightlifting I mean compound lifts. Rows, bench, cleans, deadlifts, and SQUATZ. Out of all of those, the SQUATZ are probably the most important. The reason is that it works the largest muscles in your body, which in turn releases the most testosterone, leading to muscle gain. Do 5x5 split for each exercise, or rather 5 sets of 5 reps.

Cardio is as simple as running. Run HIIT.

Get a 60/30/10 percentage split of carbs/protein/fats in your diet. Eat nutrient rich foods like fruits and vegetables. No snacking on cupcakes or any shit like that. Giving yourself one day a week to eat shit is ok, but only if you're actually working yourself the rest of the time.
>> Anonymous
>>131404

>60/30/10

Wrong! Body will fight you tooth and nail for strength gains and weight loss with only 10% fat. At LEAST 20 if you want to SKYROCKET your progress, and more (in lieu of carbs) is better, to an extent. If you are in the ketosis camp, you can completely shut out carbs and go 60/40 (prot/fat), but 30% fat is a nice middle of the road approach.
