Here's a killer tip, scro': don't mix cardio with weight training if you want to bulk up. Do HIIT instead. Don't run, it fucks your squats/Deadlifts (you squat and or deadlift, right? if not, you'd better start.), choose stationary bikes instead. Maximum amount of cardio for one session is 10mins of interval training.
Might as well just skip the HIIT and opt for some kettlebell exercises. I have a kickass cardio although I don't really keep it up, I just do a lot of kettlebell workouts.
To put on mass you gotta take in more calories than you're burning. That's a biological fact. All that bullshit about "burn fat, build muscle!" is irrelevant and erroneus. It's easier to go 2 weeks +500kcal over your spending followed by a burning week of -500kcal under your spending.
Full body routines work for me, but then again I'm switching to dual factor programs to make some better strength gains.
Fuck assisted movements, go for compound, full body such as the deadlifts, squats, military presses and chinups.
