Jun Fan Jeet Kune do, discuss.I'm thinking about taking classes in it - the licensed classes from the Ted Wong lineage that is.
>>357824according to the above website there is only 1 class a week (1.5 hours), would that be enough?describe what one lesson looks like... warming up, ground fight, kicking?thanks
>>357827Describe? Just fucking go to one and find out.
>>357829the nearest one is a 1 hour drive, so yes i'd like to hear from people already going what it's like..i used to do wing chun
1 class a week, and it's only an hour and a half? that's gonna suck
hardly a real martial art, very little underlying philosophy
most martial arts are 1 day a week tho. sucks.. i guess you can train the rest of the week @ home tho :/
>>357842Well, to be fair, Bruce lee started it because he noticed most fighting styles effective at fighting themselves. This is basically the predecessor of MMA
>>357842I can tell that you don't know what you are talking about.
Hmm..how many lessons of ANY martial art is sufficient to get per WEEK? Like 2 lessons a week minimal?
>>358353Yep. Keeps it fresh in your mind, reinforces the technique.
>>358353Once a week seems inadequate, at least to me. I'm taking 2 classes of Myau Thai a week, 1.5 hours each and it feels like the bare minimum (planning to go 3-5 times a week when the basic course is over)
