so I am thinking of switching from shitty plastic food/water containers to stainless steel.

I'm not a poorfag so money is not an issue, also if there is no health benefits I don't care, but can anon tell me if there is any health risks associated with stainless steel (supposedly it does not leech like aluminum)

Stainless steel, believe it or not, does rust, depending on whether it is part of a moving part, where it is being kept near, how well made the alloy is, etc etc etc. You also cannot achieve airtightness with stainless steel. Eventually, all your containers will leak a bit.

If you seriously are not a poorfag, get glassware. Glass is inert, and if you take care of the shit well, as in not pour boiling water in it then chuck it in a fridge, it won't crack or scratch.
