sup /fit/

quick question here, when I do any serious work, either manual labour at work (infrequent, heavy lifting and carrying for up to 2 hours at a time) or go to the guy (general cardio and 1.5 hour kickboxing once or twice a week) I sweat like a black man in a white sheet makers convention

seriously, after about 5 mins of activity i start and do not stop, it is almost exclusivly from my head with very little coming from body/armpits etc, by the end of the workout/job my clothes are soaked

any way to stop this? no one at the gym (instructors, serious pros etc) has mentioned it other than to joke about the soaking i give the place, so I'm not too worried, but would be good to not do it quite as much as i do

on a side note, we have to change the sheet in my gf's bead very frequently (in b4 watersports) which is also annoying

so /fit/ any suggestions/comments

pic related as I just took it (you an see the belt/trouser marks on my stomach due to too uch 4chan this afternoon)

I'm 6'1" and 190 so not too big and certainly not too small

and yes, sweating extra water out? I always drink a lot before and after to keep hydrated, surely this doesn't make me sweat MORE?

yes it does but dosnt mean you shouldnt do it - do you eat alot of salt or any for that matter?

I'd just talk to your doctor. It might be genetic or something else. They'd be able to tell you if there is something to do. Just ask the next time you're there.

hardly any processed foods (cooking fag) and never add salt to my meals, fast food every few weeks that is covered in it apart, not much alcohol (a few pints a week with food) and a cup of coffee every few weeks

I once ran a slow half marathon (unofficially seeign as I was the only one doing it) over the hills here, breaking for a drink and sandwich in the middle, and lost about 5lbs due to sweat

Be wary of dehydration, you dont want to sweat off too much. By the time you get thirsty you are already partially dehydrated.

I sweat like a motherfucker too. It runs in the family.

thats your reason then m8 - you see salt retains water in your body - since you dont get any you lose alot more :) mystery solved.

Wrap a towel around your head. Praise allah at your own discretion.

could be Hyperhidrosis

yer alright bro. if you are doing "nothing" and are sweating like a mutherfucker, it's time to worry.

you are very oddly shaped!

Unrelated to sweating, you should get started in a weight program. If you add like 5-10lbs of muscle and remain at the same BF% you'd probably be in a good place.

I second the possibility of Hyperhidrosis, but the only way to know is to check with a doctor. If it is, there are procedures you can have done to reduce it, although I've heard people say that you may start sweating more from another area of your body. Adam Carolla apparently had it coming from the palms of his hands, and he discussed the procedure he had done to alleviate it on Loveline a few times.

I'm shaped like this. This is odd?
Well, it's better than being round. Which is also a shape. Of sorts.
