Hi /fit/, are there any excercises for the chest that can be done on one side only? My right is pretty good, but my left is barely even there. I can't even flex it.The only chest excercises I really know of are the bench press and the butterfly. The bench press is for both sides, obviously. The butterfly, I'm not sure about. The machine we have at home has two vertical pads just over shoulder width apart and connect to the weights via cables and pullies. I just put my arms in there and bring them together. The machine I used at school had two bars way out to the sides that would be brought together. What I've been doing with the butterfly is just supporting myself with the right pad, and only performing reps on the left side with my left muscles. I've maxed out the weight on the machine too (which isn't much by the way at 55 lbs). I tried the same thing reversed just to see, and my right side can do many more reps.Is this a good idea? Will I rip my body in half like this?
Is there anyone here who knows anything about chest excercises? I really need this... my chest is lopsided.
