What's a better way to get tone, instead of muscle mass?

High Reps at low weight, or just a fuck-ton of cardio?

high reps low(er) weight will get you mass
fuck-ton of cardio will burn through the small amount of muscle you have....( DONT, a little is ok to stay lean, and to "tone" your stomach you have to lose a bit of fat, so go for 20 minutes 3 days a week or something)
If you want to get toned, the high reps will build mass, and carefully chosen exercises will shape your body the way you want it.

in short, both, but drop the "fuck-ton" part

What you want is some muscle mass but not a lot of muscle mass. It's a basic sliding scale.

To get this "tone" you're wanting, you gotta eat right and lift with some cardio on off days, or rather 'bulk', then after gaining enough muscle, you put less emphasis on lifting and more on cardio (but equal emphasis on eating right) or rather 'cut'.

"Toning" to get a six pack is misleading, as abs show up when your bodyfat is low enough.

No,>>81598was making a good call, faggot OP. Toned is an overused term which doesn't mean much really. Think about where you hear the term "toned" the most. Infomercials. That's where this fucking term got it's start, and it's useless for describing what you want to achieve.

If you want larger muscles with definition then say that. If you just want definition then you will need to cut away all the extra fat which is best achieved by cardio. But you're such a know-it-all dick, figure it out for yourself.
