Male Anemia Anonymous
A quick question for /fit/
I am guy who has anemia, the disease and not the kind you can fix with a couple shots of iron. I work at a vitamin store, and whenever I recommend iron for someone, I usually say that I take the same thing for my anemia. 4/5 times I said that, and they were surprised that a male has anemia.

So I ask /fit/, is it really that uncommon for a male to have anemia?

Males can become anemic, but it's just more likely for girls to have anemia because of menstrual blood loss.

Not OP, but I'm male and have thalassemia. I've learned to just deal with it and train harder to overcome it.
