Okay /fit/, riddle me this.

I have a grotesque fascination with pot but I have never tried it. Have there been any long term side-effects/illnesses associated from smoking it? How does it compare to a regular cancer stick in terms of icky poo poo-ness?

>I have a grotesque fascination with pot but I have never tried it
so try it
>Have there been any long term side-effects/illnesses associated from smoking it?
try it once, nothing untoward will happen.
>How does it compare to a regular cancer stick in terms of icky poo poo-ness?
similar. maybe a little better, maybe a little worse.
have one, you'll be fine.

There will be no long term effects from trying it. As for grossness, it depends on the cancer stick you are comparing to.

All the potheads I know have gotten terrible skin from it. Not to mention their teeth look like grimy shit.

Pot is quite a bit worse for your lungs than cigarettes. Don't believe any stoner that tells you otherwise. However, you can't really smoke all that much of it at a time, so the damage is minimal. If you smoke occasionally and don't make it a daily habit, you won't suffer the ill-effects.

There are potential lasting effects in terms of brain chemistry. There's a reason why stoners all seem to act a certain way even when they're not high. This can also be avoided by not smoking habitually.

So, like most things in life, marijuana in moderation is fine. Try it. See if you like it.
