Hey /fit/,

thoughts on the P90X workout program for those of you who have either heard of it or have done it?
>> jda !!FG/LElcYf8D
from what i've read, unless your already have strength, its pointless doing. All it does is give you a little extra strength, and make you lose 4-6% bodyfat.

I downloaded the program (demonoid) and watched a few of the tapes and decided to wait and try it when I'm in better shape. From what I've seen though, it works if you put everything you have into it. Which means don't miss a workout and follow a strict diet.

OP here,

My goal is better overall physical health, especially in the cardio and flexibility area. Afterwards, I'm thinking about starting a bulk on Rippetoe's when I'm back in school.

I'm not too worried about average strength gains though. I'll be using nowhere near the minimum weights required in the P90X fit test anyway. Thanks for the replies, keep 'em comin'!

My boyfriend and his best friend have been doing it for a while now, and if you do a proper diet along with it and have other means of exercise the results are pretty much instant. But he had low body fat to begin with, so...

I'm actually looking into downloading it myself. Where did you get it?

1. On isohunt, get the 44.31 GB torrent with the most seeders (.iso of all DVDs, with covers, etc)

2. On isohunt, get the torrent for P90X-P90X+ Documents.rar

my friend is in ridiculously good shape and he stopped doing it because it was too hard. he can bench 260 and squat 365(from before p90x. he said when he thought about doing it he would always hesitate because it was just very difficult.. now he just goes to the gym with me and does a normal weight routine again

FUCK. I'll just burn copies, damn. I am looking into P90X plus as well, though... I hate being a broke college student.

I'm curious. How was his cardiovascular health, flexibility, and diet before he started?

There's a smaller torrent with mpegs but the quality might not be the greatest depending on your TV

Tell me about it. My monthly limit is 60 gigs :(

I doubt video quality will effect anyone's physical workout routine in the slightest.

My father bought it a while ago but never used it, and i've done some of the dvds in it ( mainly the fex one, yoga one and cardio) this shit is really good but damn you gotta push yourself.

SInce i don't own any dumbells at the moment ( train in a gym) there's some things i can't do in the dvds ( sure i could use elactics bands but i don't have tehm neither) but form what i tried it's really effective.

If you stick to a stricit diet, do what you gotta do, do all the moves right. You'll get a nice progress quite fast.

I agree with you but I'm just relaying information. That's what someone said in a comment on the torrent
with the mpegs (blotchy, big screen, etc.) ...it really seemed like quite the annoyance to him.
