Hey /fit/,
Today was the season's first real wrestling practice, and I got my ass handed to me. I was actually in equal or better shape than most of the people there, so I wonder why I suck. I think it's technique. How can I become a better wrestler/fighter on the side from practice?

practice

if you have the conditioning down (you probably don't) you yourself admit you must work on technique

so do that

How can you get better besides form practicing?
More practice and more battles... things should become second nature

Better technique. Also Wrestlers have ridiculously strong cores.

We only did 4 weight lifting exercises. SQUATZ, DEADLIFTZ, POWER CLEANS, AND BENCH PRASSAN.

We did other things like holding 45lb plates, and doing exercises like that, we did no curls or other shit like that.

Result? Everything got huge. My lats got so big I could have used them like wings for gliding from tree top to tree top.

Yeah my first coach run practice was yesterday. As for getting better, practice drilling one takedown, one escape, one top move move and two pinning moves, get just those perfect then expand. I like the single leg, the sit-out switch, throwing in legs, the cradle and this one I can't rember the name of but it involves the chicken wing. Also Kaz??

Conditioning is all imporTANT so more running. If you take a fast wrestler and make him tired he is not a quick. Take a a strong wrestler and make him tired and he is weak. Take a technical wrestler and make him tired and he is no longer technical.

Break your opponents kneecaps before they wrestle you with a solidly constructed aluminum bat
