Hey guys how is this workout routine?

Strong lifts beginners 5x5 -MON/WED/FRI
Shoulders/Biceps - THURSDAY
Chest/Triceps - SATURDAY

Is this good? Been working out for almost 2 months already and I am trying to bulk so I only do about cardio 3 days/week(40 minutes per session). Is this over training? Also any anatomyfags know if it is good to do Shoulders/Biceps the same day? Same for Chest/Triceps.

id say cut your cardio out totally if you are bulking

and for stronglifts just lift FUCKING HARD GOD DAMNIT

a 4 day split does sound better than 3 days though I do agree, I never liked only 3 days on stronglifts. but if you jump into a 5 day split like that + cardio you will overtrain so fast, and have to take a week or so off just to get back to normal

enjoy overworking your chest when you go from Benching Friday to chest work on Saturday.

Jesus, do you even know what strong lifts is? Just do it every other day, so 4 times one week 3 times the next. No reason you have to take a two day rest every week.

Alright. I'll cut out cardio.

and for strong lifts I cant lift hard because it says to only add 5 lbs every workout (which I can already feel because adding 5 lbs to my max is a lot to me since I am a beginner, sometimes I have jumped up by 10 lbs though with squat and deadlift.)

Yeah, I was also thinking about doing it that way too. I was too stuck up on MON/WED/FRI though and forgot that I can just do it every other day. I might just do that if you guys really think the routine I posted is too much.

Why do you want to do shoulder/biceps/chest/triceps on rest days? (they are already included in the stronglifts program)
>> Anonymous
THIS!!!
>>382199
Rest days are there for a reason. The Strong Lifts program is all about compound movements and building strength. On this program you never lift 2 days on a row, NEVER! Find another program if you don't want to follow this.

I hope I haven't just been trolled, as this is such an easy concept.

This was me. OP is not a troll apparently. I didn't read the whole thread before replying.

OP, I suggest reading over the strong lifts site more thoroughly.

If you're DOING stronglifts, then you should have read the whole article. And stop acting hostile, we're trying to help.. The website states EXPLICITLY:
>Always take at least 48 hours rest between 2 workouts.

Biceps are not your priority, and they are being worked if you are doing chin-ups. Your shoulders, chest, and triceps are being worked by the presses/bench presses in the program.

Why?

If you want to workout 5 days a week. Do a 5 day split, strong lifts are not for you in that case.
