do you want to drop 20 lbs of weight, or 20 lbs of fat?

theres a difference.

>>244484here.

let me clarify, do you have to make some sort of weight limit (like for army) or win some sort of weight loss contest.

or do you want to lose body fat, so you can "look" better, aesthetically.

if its for the first one, you can drop like 15 lbs in a day.

if its the 2nd one, that one takes time, and hard work.

Also you'll lose some amount through water weight.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Velocity Diet.

If you follow it to a T and strike up the will power to do it, it's perfectly safe and healthy and you'll lose weight FAST. I've done it twice, lost 25 pounds first time around and 17 pounds second time. The key is being honest and sticking with it including the post 2-week transition phase. After that, hopefully it'll have also informed you and fixed any bad eating habits you've had before. Google Velocity Diet, or look for it on t-nation.com

You can function perfectly well on three meals. Just be prepared to go to sleep in the afternoon, or at least be really sleepy.

how about the long term future, are you able to keep the weight off even then?

244518 here

Yeah, you'll keep it off in the long run because assuming you've made the sacrifice and struggle to get through the diet cheat-free and honestly, you'll get some rather amazing behavioral changes in the way you eat and also your tastebuds will have changed as well.

When I first tried it out, I thought it was complete horseshit that I wouldn't be craving junk food anymore, but it was true. Not to say I don't eat it at all, the only thing I still enjoy is pizza. I haven't had a burger, fries, deep fried foods in general in nearly a year.

It's been said before on this board again by the few folks I've seen here who genuinely know what they're talking about, and I'll reiterate it. Weight loss, maintenance, and healthy eating is incredibly simple and takes just a little bit of motivated researching to get down. It's the willpower and individual sacrifice (and that sacrifice doesn't feel like a sacrifice after long, and as cliche as it sounds becomes a reward on its own) of sticking to something you've set out for yourself. Without compromise.

hold ice on your tongue before eating it

it freezes your tastebuds and then you won't be able to taste the tuna

i used to do that with black eyed peas on new years day before i decided they tasted good
