pick any healthy diet routine that is easiest for you to stick with... DASH, Mediterranean, Vegetarian, Glycemic Index, etc.
- don't eat at any fast food restaurants, except subway (subway still has high sodium tho...) - don't pick the Atkins diet (try to cut down on red meat/animal fats, if possible) - eat foods w/ healthy fats like coconut oil, vegetable oil, flaxseed oil, things that have linoleic acid...
