I'm 5"5, 125 lbs (last time i checked was awhile ago tho) I really wanna finally be able to wear a bikini in public and not feel all gross.

I eat fairly healthy, no soda, 5-6 meals a day (every 2-3 hours), about ~1500 calories.

My routine is: 3 days a week of this video (it uses small weights for arms only, and basically you get into position then do small reptitions, letting the burn build up. I think it's caled isolations?) and 3 days a week of 30 mins of cardio (fast walking w/ 5lbs weight or jump rope.)

Any opinions/advice?

your body looks good. from what I see and what you wrote I can't give more tips. Perhaps try to eat less meals: 4 meals with 3-4 hours break, while keeping the same calorie amount. It will help your hormones and you will feel more fresh.

Any muscle you try to add will make that little layer of fat stand out more. Don't fucking strength train like men because it will make your diaphragm get bigger which visually increases the size of your midsection/ribcage. LISTEN TO ME BITCH, if it's not seeing your abs fully or having a little bit of fat to grab on your sides then the only way to fix it will be a diet change. That is of course unless you're not doing any cardio whatsoever and you should probably pick up running like that other guy said. That could help as well.

sounds like you want to lose weight (fat) and gain a bit of muscle, to do this you need to do some real cardio work. For your needs i recommend rowing machines, either go to the gym and get on a concept 2 or invest in a reasonable one for you home.
The trick is to improve each and every week, making yourself fitter, raising your metabolism and generally burning off more and more calories by constantly pushing yourself to achieve more.

set your distance for 2km and go for it with all you have, take a break to get your breath back and do it again. do this for your 30 minute cardio workout and keep trying to nail those 2km times. You might start out taking 9 minutes to do it and by the time you get it 6 minutes you will be a serious piece of machinery, with a nice toned body and you WILL need to eat more calories to keep that fire burning.

Don't do workout videos as I have never seen one which is any good and they make you stagnate in terms of fitness, not to mention half of them teaching you poor form. what you are doing currently will not help you build strength.

PS you look hot, learn to love yourself getting fit is for health and wellbeing not looks :)

I'm sure this has been mentioned already but are you doing any ab work?

Looks like thats the main difference (also keep in mind that photo your aiming for is set up to be flattering so its not exactly a realistic aim). If you want some basic ab work you can do at home I'd recommend the plank and side plank (do a few sets alternating between the plank, then each side and back to the start holding til exhaustion). Crunches are good also, there's a ton of stuff out there. Perhaps look into yoga or classes at your gym, helps alot with motivation if there are other people around you and someone egging you on.

Just get a guy friend of yours, or your boyfriend if you have one to go to a mall or surfshack type place with you to try on swimsuits. That way youll get bikinis that you look good in. You should either go out and purchase what you need for it, or go to a gym. I would recommend a gym because it will help build public confidence about your body.

Your diet is also very important, although you have it covered for the most part....just get some protein concentrate or isolates and you'll be fine.
