Swimfag here, not really much you can do but to really "streamline" your movements. When I swim, I always try to sharpen every movement I do. Meaning I cut through the water as easily as possible. I can't really explain it, but you just have to find your own pace and feel to it. But always remember to be as aerodynamic as possible. Lengthen your body when your pulling, and when your going for another pull, act like your reaching for the other end of the pool and stretch stretch stretch for it..... then pull wit a nice strong swift pull.
I love swimming because its such a solo sport. Its only you chasing that black line.
