Hi there /fit/

I was pretty active all through school. I was no track star, but I loved being physically active.

Right after graduation, I was in an accident and broke a bone in my foot and shattered my kneecap. After I healed, I went back to running... or tried to at least.

I experienced horrible pain in my foot and knee every time I tried to run. I became depressed and honestly let myself go. I didn't do anything physical because of the pain.

Its been several years, and I'm sick of being so tired all the time. I need to get off my ass and move. I'm done feeling sorry for myself and I am ready to find a new physical activity that won't hurt so badly.

tl;dr
What exercises can I do that will be easier on my knee and foot?

You can always go for joint replacement therapy.

Barring that, recumbent bike will do wonders.

I hurt my knee really badly for some years ago and I had a hard time running just like you. So I would say swimming is probably the best thing you could do. I feel no pain at all while I'm swimming. But my knee feels a bit weird but I think it's because it's not used to exercise yet.

Exercycles are great low impact machines. It may be uncomfortable with your foot though. I would try ellipticals as well.

Lolno, go to the gym. And find a girlfriend who will taunt you for your lack of muscle.

Why would I say something like that to you if I were a guy?

Your goal is to be able to out-arm wrestle most guys you meet.

My goal is to make sure that never happens to me.
