Hey /f/it. 5'10", 215lb - down from 260lb. I believe the ideal weight for my height would be max 180, however I'm okay with being a bit higher only if I'm ripped like a greek god. Someone near my height - when did you stop the full cardio and start including weights?

I'm thinking of hitting next target of 200lb then shaping my body to start being easy on the eyes, etc.

tl;dr: when should I start to include weights into routine

Well, muscle mass burns more calories at rest then fat does, soo....

Yea, while that's true, I'm looking to hit either a plateau or ~200lb, then work on weight training. Right now pure cardio seems to work well for right now, so not gonna knock it - unless another anon found it beneficial to stop at a certain point or something

start lifting weights right now. Do training on a muscle group, (usually upper or lower) then use the fresh muscle group for cardio after weight training.

Even if you want to lose weight, you'll look alot better with a little fat on you if you have some muscle under it.
