OP Here, if it helps any I'm on the Paleolithic diet, so I mainly eat fruits and vegetables, and not much meat. I adjusted my diet to add yogurt with active cultures. I don't know how this helps, but I thought I add it.

First, congrats on your change of lifestyle and losing all that weight.

Crossfit (www.crossfit.com) is good stuff -- I love it -- but for someone of your size I'd wait a little before you try getting into it. Why? Most of the exercises are a) based on bodyweight, and b) they put a great deal of strain on your heart. At your weight they may hurt you more than help you.

My advice would be to lift weights 2-3 times a week --- muscle mass burns more calories then fat mass, so get more muscle --- and do cardio 2-3 times a week.

For now, just jump on the weight lifting machines at a gym and do at least 20 minutes of biking/treadmill/elliptical. Keep that up for a month or two and you will see huge results. Once you get closer to 200 lbs, start doing those crossfits.

I would recommend cardio.

>>233457Thank you, and thanks for the support everyone, I'm getting ready to head to the gym. I'll bring my books along so I can study while jogging and biking. All right so more muscle mass, means I need to gather more protien. Thank you.

Along with eating good food, exercise is important because you can develop muscle tone and lose fat quicker. It also helps make you look thinner if muscles are visible.

Definitely look into www.crossfit.com after you get in slightly better shape - even now you could try scaling down their WODs dramatically. Paleo diet is good but remember that lean meat is still ok from the Paleo point of view so you can eat chicken and tuna, which are excellent protein sources. Other than that I recommend some lifting and lots of running. Keep it up!

Definitely go meet up with a personal trainer, or at least go read a book about it. There are plenty of modern weight training books in the library. Don't fall for any cults online.

Amen.

The best advice I'd give anyone trying to lose weight/get in shape would be to *learn*. Head to sites like bodybuilding.com or runnersworld.com and read through their collection of articles, check the forums, and learn how your body works. Take everything with a grain of salt, but read as much as you can.

what did your diet mainly consist of?

1 - nice tits
2 - eat only 100% rolled oats, fat free cottage cheese, vegetables, fruits, milk, eggs, chicken breast, turkey breast, lentils/beans. dont worry about calorie restriction until you can at least not deviate from this diet.
3 - do cardio, 30-40 mins 3x a week or HIIT 15 mins 3x a week
4 - continue to lift weights, focusing on compound lifts (deadlift, squat, etc)
5 - do this for a year and then post pics of your mostly normal looking body
