Intrestingly enough, there is no solid evidence (or peer reviewed research) that suggests HGH would assist mature males in gaining lean muscle.
If you're young, you're much better off utilizing your own HGH reserves.
Personally, I do two things:
1- Make sure you eat something post workout that will spike your Insulin levels. A piece of fruit (ideally a banana) or fruit juice should do the trick. This is in addition to your protein shake.
2- Get plenty of sleep. HGH is released in optimal levels during sleep, ideally around 8-9 hours.
If there are any anons here who could lead me to some literature that does support the argument that HGH helps build new muscle tissue, I would be grateful.
