the weird thing about DDR is that the slower, easier songs usually make for a longer workout, because you can do more of them consecutively.
when you start dealing with 7-footers and so on, you can get winded fairly quickly.

DDR is a decent activity if you do it for entertainment (more exercise than watching TV, playing Xbawks, whatev) but do NOT count on it to serve as a primary exercise.

Run, do HIIT, eat less. DDR is good on the side.

Bonus: the skinnier you get the easier DDR is.

So long as you can clear hard songs (9 step or better) and you don't pussy out after each one, but keep going, it will help.

The best way to lose weight is and always will be lifting heavy, however. Build muscle= burn more calories= you win. Throw in DDR or some other form of light cardio and you get some extra win so long as you don't overtrain.
