A few months ago there was a thread on /fit/ where we all posted out torsos in order to measure visual progress as we have lost/gained (for the thin mis/fit/s) weight. ITT we update /fit/ on our progress.

I have made progress.

A few months ago I moved to Colorado and got serious about weight training and running, and reducing calorie intake.

Something I have found:

A run early in the morning followed by coffee reduces appetite by a whole lot. Eating a meal in the morning makes me hungrier for lunch earlier by comparison. This has been one of the keys, I think, to me dropping weight.

Where I am at in CO is aout 6500 feet. So running takes a lot out of you. Does anyone know if running at higher altitudes also means a higher calorie burn, or are you just winded much earlier due to the thinner air?

Anyway, 1.5 months ago I was 222, now I am 198-202, depending on the time of day. Goal is to hit 180-185, then bulk up to 195 in muscle.

Pic related, me to start with. More recent pic in a sec. I still have babyface going, but my gut and mantits are almost gone, which were the two nastiest things about me I thought. Looking forward to being a lot healthier in the near future.

A tip: next time try posting a photo about 4-5 months later, or perhaps a series of photos from months 1-3-5-7-9 etc. in one.

haha, thanks.

I'm trying. I was really, really unhappy with myself before, now I am still unhappy but at least I am showing improvement. As I said I think 180-185 will be pretty awesome and then I can concentrate on bulking up a bit. Hopefully in another 2 months I can come back here and be around that weight and then start asking questions about gaining muscle as opposed to losing fat.

ugh get off the internet fuckhead. your not getting any fitter sitting on your ass telling strangers about your minor achievement. do something active and report back when you'r no longer a pale hippo

i see no problem as to why you shouldn't eat breakfast/early lunch. If you're starving everyday you're just gonna poop on yourself

OP it sounds like you are trying to tell us you skip breakfast. I am interested in knowing how often you shit.

I work out in the mornings and I shit 2-3 times that day, but I also eat breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner and snack.

Use your guns to blow out the fat off the front, then let the wounds heal.

It works faster.

Probably twice a day. Once in the morning after a workout and once at night after work. Sometimes 3, though. Why?

You WANT to jumpstart your metabolism by eating breakfast, have some oats or eggs or something. But nothing = bad.

It may seem counter-intuitive to you right now, but eating more meals(smaller ones) throughout the day rather than just "2 or 3" will help you much much more. If you're skipping meals, your metabolism goes wacko and your body starts storing fAT. This is what you don't want.

Try to eat 6 smaller meals a day. Balancing your protein/carb/good fats/oil intake.

Maybe something like a peanut butter sandwich about 45 mins before your morning workout, and something else shortly after. Gatorade with a small amount of whey is a good choice, as is some fruit etc. Just eat more regularly, and healthier.
