Psychological health/fitness thread here.

/fit/, I seem to be having some trouble in college for some awkward reason. To be precise, I'm understanding the work and solving the questions/quizzes at home .. but, on the tests, I'm not at optimal or maximum level at all. Yesterday, on Friday, I was conversing with my professor about Calculus and I corrected her while she was going over a problem for me. So, I know that I know the work/what I'm doing is correct..It's just not clicking for me on the tests/quizzes. I go completely blank. In the beginning of the semester, it wasn't like this. I was at optimal level and I was psychologically fine.

Furthermore, I have something in my head that keeps going, 'don't do well, fail, do horrible, don't succeed' each time I look at a test or quiz. I don't believe those thoughts, but I believe they are psychologically connected to my aforementioned dilemma(common sense). In addition, I barely feel any confidence in what I do and I ALWAYS have to check with someone to see if it's right, even if I know it's correct. Can someone point me in the right direction to help me out?

tl;dr: fucking up in school due to unknown psychological issues; confidence in work is shot to shit.

Shamelessly bumping. No one can offer some sort of advice and/or help?

I understand.

When I was taking my GCSEs I become aware that this will change my life

New school
New people

I felt afraid of CHANGE.

I know this does not help much but, see a doctor.

OP here. Thanks for the advice, man. I've been really considering going to a Psychologist about this because it's really affecting my school work/future. I want to succeed and I know I have the potential to succeed .. I don't want my psychological issues to impede my success. I genuinely appreciate your response, man. Does anyone else have anything else to contribute?

Maybe your upbringing has you programmed for failure. This movie is pretty cool.

So are you unable to concentrate and remember things during the test? Make sure you're eating well and are well rested during the test. If I don't prep properly I'm all fucked up for tests.

Jack off you penis before a test for maximum power. When you jack off your penis, it releases maxoprobinolium --a special type of neuro-chemical that helps with both relaxation and concentration.

oh yeah, is you a boy or a female?

This is the exact opposite of what to do in my experience. Jacking off makes me lazy, undriven, and unfocused. Honestly it kind of sends me into a depressive funk. Definitely not the kind of mental state I'd want to be in when taking a test.

Hey OP,

Had this exact problem last semester. Never before and not since. It seemed to have come about due to a massive imminent change coming in my life. What fixed it was demonstrating excellence in an environment outside of the classroom. In my case it was in brazillian jiu-jitsu. Go do something awesome. It'll help, believe me.

I'm a good tester but I wish I could help anyway. How about setting up a personal test system and recording your scores? Maybe when you're getting straight As on your tests and you've got a demonstrated record of excellence on the exact same material you're covering in class, it will carry over to the official tests.
