ligament trouble? Anonymous
Hi fit! Hopefully a quick question for you all. I managed to roll my foot the other day, causing some nice ankle pain. The pain is not only when I get up in the morning or after I have been off my feet for awhile. Then it is bad enough to make me hobble around. A friend said it could be a stretched ligament. Thoughts? And is this something I should see a doctor about, or doe sit need to heal on its own? Pic shows where it be hurtin'

Your friend is probably right. Unless the pain remains, don't worry about seeing a doctor - it'll heal with time.

I got this playiong basketball on wednesday, I saw a doctor, It'll heal but it'll take about 6 weeks for full recovery (it may feel better sooner, but it'll be weaker and more prone to damage until the 6 weeks are up. Take ibuprofen for the swelling and pain.

OP again. Thanks for the replies. Kinda what I was thinking, but I hate going to the doctor for just a "it'll heal on its own" diagnosis. :) I appreciate your help!

you could also tape it or wear some of the things that compress it. taping is incredibly effective for these kinds of injuries.
