Savory Oats? Anonymous
I'm looking to get out of the "brown sugar + cinnamon" doldrums. I think oats has more blank slate potential than that, and I'm going to experiment. Has anyone had any success with savory recipes?

I was thinking steel cut oats with butter, parmigiano, and grated nutmeg.

I might even go with chicken stock instead of water in the recipe above to really kick up the flavour.
