1st Poliquin is literally the jesus christ of strength and conditioning.

2nd. GVT does "work"
but how it works for you is dependant upon your needs.

i think in a 4 day upper lower split, to have 1 of the upper days be GVT with incline and DB presses with the other being lower rep, westside-ish, or at least a 3x3 kinda thing with Militaries and bench, then you actually would have a pretty decent spread (hi-low) to facilitate adaptation.

yah, i thought thats what you prolly meant on my 2nd pass on the thread.

also, massively boring. and if its all you do, you will get weaker in terms of 1RM, hence my commentary to include only 50% of one's training as GVT, the other as very heavy, to compensate....
