Hi /fit/, when I was younger (10 - 18) I took many martial arts classes to stay in shape. These classes were composed of mostly cardio and isometric exercises. When I was 19 I injured my back in a very spectacular fashion and stopped going to classes. A year has passed and I find myself wanting to lift weights in order to put on some pounds. I've never lifted weights in my entire life and I really don't know where to start. I've searched and found many sites with instructions on how to properly execute various exercises and how to eat etc. but none have had any pointers as to exactly how much weight I should be lifting. I assume it should be in relation to my body weight so I was hoping for some fit tips from /fit/.

FYI I am 5'10" tall and I weigh 150lbs.
