Hi

long time reader first time poster

question/fit/

halloween is in a month and I being a female anon would love to loose 10lbs by then. I am presently 135lbs at 5'7". I'm not fat by any means but I am muffin topping out of my jeans as of late. Have any of you tried those juice fast fads? or have any kind of "loose weight quick" diets that you could recommend?

Thanx in advance

RUN BITCH!

No really. There are no miracle drugs, no shortcuts of any kind.

You want to lose that muffin top? EARN IT. If you aren't suffering you aren't doing it right.

You want to stay the fuck away from those juice fasts. All they do is cut muscle; you'll balloon up afterwards.

You want to lose about 7.5% of your bodyweight in one month. The bad news is that likely won't happen. The good news is that, depending on your training situation, you can make great inroads in one month.

If you're not running at all, work up to running a mile at a time. Cut out all sodas and candy. Quit drinking. You could drop four, five pounds by Halloween pretty simply.

Those juice diets simply dehydrate you so you instantly lose a few pounds. (Well almost instant).

A lot say celebrity because they use it to drop a few pounds to go to a fucking award place or Something. You'll gain it right back.

Create a conservative caloric deficit in your diet and exercise more.

1 pound of body fat = 3,500 calories

Burn a total of 35,000 calories in 30 days?

Assuming you need a 2,000 calorie per day diet to maintain your current weight, that's 60,000 calories over the next 30 days. Subtract 35,000 and you get 25,000. That's like 833 calories per day; too low. You'll need to raise that to around 1,400 calories per day and add in exercise accordingly to compensate.

Get it?

Ketogenic diet. Look up ketosis. Also HIIT (though you'll do it wrong) or just cardio. Juice diets don't work. It'll put your body into starvation mode and make you lose water weight... which means as soon as you eat normal again, you'll gain all the weight back and bloat like hell.

Eat right. If you're not willing to do a ketogenic diet, then eat only whole grains, veggies, and plenty of healthy protein (nuts, chicken, etc.), and then a little fruit and possibly dairy (yogurt).
