Depends on the bodybuilder's range of motion. You can be huge, but if you can't move that fast or use motion to gather momentum, your punches will be seriously lacking.
Just remember, you can get hit by 2000 lbs moving at 1/2 a mile per hour and be fine, but 1/2 a pound moving at 1000 mph and it's all over.
Punches rely on the momentum transferred above anything else, so an ideal mix of speed and weight behind the punch would be best.
