Sup mis/fit/s

I'm fairly skinny and void of any muscle tone. I've decided I do need to get in shape, But i'm kind of lazy and i'm too busy to actually work out. So as an alternative I've decided to start eating lots of health foods (my mother works at a health food store, sends me a ton of it for free).

My question is this: will eating a lot of health foods and drinking protein shakes help in any way to give me more muscle without working out? Or will I end up as one of those skin-n-bones hippy freaks?

Pic related as Hemp related health foods are fucking awesome.

You will not gain muscle without working out.

You will, however, take much bigger shits.

Drink like 10 packets of carnation instant breakfast every day, and don't work out at all. You will be a sex machine in no time.

That's an obvious answer. I guess I should've been more precise. Will taking this shit make it easier to gain muscle with less exercise?

if you don't do quality lifting exercise (i'd say at LEAST 30 minutes 5-7 times a week), you will never gain any real muscle. if you're skinny right now, you'll stay skinny if you just eat a bunch of hippy health bullshit. to be honest, all of those "natural" solutions don't seem as effective as tried-and-true manufactured and scientifically engineered real stuff.

tl;dr - Don't be a hippy faggot and do some real lifting, and get real workout supplements if you want, but not the health food natural solution hippy bullshit.

Dude, the whole point of protein shakes is to give your body the protein it needs to rebuild the muscles that have been heavily damaged during an intensive workout. Eating that shit without working out is going to do one of two things: make you fat, or nothing.

Hit the gym, I guarantee that if you stick to it for two weeks you'll never go back.

Dude you can't do fucking muscular 7 times a week unless you're doing different muscle groups each time. Your body needs a rest period to rebuild muscle and if you're not giving it that, you're not building as much as you could.

3 times a week for an hour is plenty. The main thing in muscle and strength building is the intensity. There is no such thing as "light" muscular. You have to be going to failure on every set.

Not really. It will shorten the time required to build muscle in the long run.

ie: eating a good diet, getting your protein and such it could take you 5 months to get where you want, as opposed to eating like shit and not really doing anything it could take 8 months

but that's just a guess it really depends on how bad you eat to begin with.

also you're not too busy to work out so don't even use that, lazy yes sure.

If you workout without protein, the workout will be wasted. You should have something like at least a gram of protein for every pound you weigh per day while working out. Be sure to continue taking it on your rest days while your muscles are sore. Good luck, I used to be really skinny and think it was pointless to work out.
