Hi /fit/ first time poster

Thats me. I'm a skinny fuck.

6'2"
176 pounds

Over summer I want to use my spare time to put in a lot of effort and actually put some muscles on my frame so when I get back to university I have a base to keep training from. It's fucking time I got round to this and I'm determined to get it right. Its not for the ladies, its not for my mum, its not for that bitch who left me. It's for myself.

To do this, I'm going to need some help. I plan to start in 2 weeks. Any advice you give me will be appreciated. If you can point me in the right direction with links I don't mind. I have no idea where to start!

The only exercise I really do is the occasional set of pull ups (I can do 12 haha) and I run about 5 miles twice a week.

advice on routines, diets, links, pointing in the right direction. Everything helps.

I used to have a similar body figure as you. Here's what my routine looked like:

Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun
HIIT 5k HIIT 10k HIIT Half-Marathon Rest

Did this on HIIT days:

And I did 100 Burpees after every work-out

And to finish off I did this every day before going to bed:

Not as difficult as some workout routines, but I've seen some pretty good results, and I am much more in shape.

OP does not need to lose fat, no cardio
OP needs to gain muscle

appreciate it, found a great guide. As for the fat, I could lose some from my belly though but that will come with time. Priorities!

you honestly are pretty lean, thats the last place men lose fat. more muscle and a higher metabolism will shred that in no time.

bulk for sure man.

people get caught in these little bulk cut cycles and end up looking small weak and never get anywhere.

bulk for a solid year or two. you will love the strength gains. fat gain will be minimal

remember, losing fat is fucking easy, especially if you are muscular underneath, getting lean bodymass is hard, way harder.

a 2 year bulk and you can be ripped to shreds in 4 months
