/fit/ i just worked out with freehand weights, and im pretty new to it. I did 30 lifts where to start with your arms straight and a weight in each hand, then curl them up so they are in a sort of boxing position.

Anyway, after 30 i couldn't do more, so i stopped.

Has this acheived anything? or was it useless?

But...

It certainly wasn't useless, but you won't be seeing any immediate results besides sore arms tomorrow.

Weight training is about persistence and routines, forcing your body to adapt to the new changes. There is no overnight solution.

challenge the body moar by increasing or just varying the difficulty. the body will adapt fast and you will no longer be acheiving those benefits really, just going through the motions.
