hey /fit/ , I've been near starving for 2 weeks and have lost 20 pounds during that time.My regime was only water from monday to wednesday,a cup of ramen on thursday and friday, normal eating on weekend, not gorging myself.
How dangerous is it to keep that up?
I feel extremely energetic and somehow quicker in my thought processes and learning so far,no negatives noted yet besides some occasional lightheadedness in the morning.

yeah,I have checked similar sites before, all I got from that was that housemoms started scarfing down food again as soon as they were done with the fast,no wonder they gained it back.
Not overeating on weekends is quite a test of will but I could get used to it.

wow

why don't you just stop eating at all and lose even more weight?

I'm not sure how much ketosis you would get with 3 day fasts ,ramen diet isn't fasting anymore.
You probably won't die or anything, but I think exercise with a moderate calorie deficit would be easier on your body.Be sure to eat enough protein on weekends.

No he wouldn't.
He would lose glycogen from the muscles and additional fuel would come from adipose tissue and ketones.Muscles are catabolized after fat is depleted.

other way around. fat is more 'valuable' in a survival situation than muscle.

muscle is metabolically expensive and is ALWAYS the 1st to go (after the 1st couple days, before the body transitions to starvation mode+massive catabolism from 'self' rather than external calorie sources)

Judging by your pic you should get counseling. Or vomit instead.
