I only realized today that I needed to eliminate all the condiments with high fructose syrup in my kitchen. The only thing left in my fridge in is mustard. No more ketchup, tartar sauce or BBQ sauce. Any thing else I should look out for or consider for a condiment?

you're an idiot.

How about low fat/fat-free ranch? Not sure if has fructose or not.

artichoke hearts

have you never heard of moderation? condiments are fine if you don't over do it

What's so bad about HFCS? I mean, it's basically sugar. Empty calories, but not exactly unhealthy, right?

There's evidence that fructose could affect your metabolism in such a way that it could actually cause you to be more predisposed to storing energy as fat.

I always over due the tartar sauce and BBQ sauce on a burger or fish sandwich. It's better if it's never in my kitchen in the first place.

Can you please link the study?

Just don't put the stuff on everything and you'll be fine. Food doesn't have to be bland to be healthy.

Food without condiments doesn't have to be bland.

OP, look into acquiring a large amount of dried spices. Avoiding liquid stuff usually lets you avoid HFCS, but beware if you are watching your salt intake, and some spices load themselves with sugar. Powdered or dried spices are generally the only things I use. Sriracha isn't too bad, but does have some sugar in it.

This

Also, grow your own herbs (so you don't have to constantly buy them from the store) and you'll never have to worry about compensating bland flavor by adding lots of salt and sugar. Fresh basil an cilantro = win. Don't bother with the dried, powdered version of these two, as they aren't even comparable. Also, whole pepper ground in a pepper grinder > already ground pepper in stores. Always have garlic and onion handy. Those alone with a little bit of salt and pepper will make any meat taste good with minimal effort.

Anyone who complains about healthy food being bland just doesn't know how to cook.

THERE HAS YET TO BE ANY CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE THAT HFSC CAUSES ANYMORE HARM THAN ANY OTHER SUGAR.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for the link to the article mentioned by>>294465

People should seriously learn to be less gullible. Saying "there is evidence..." without backing up your statement is retarded.
