Is it true on a treadmill that walking quickly on a steep incline burns more fat than running?

I hear running up a hill outside of the gym burns more fat than both.

I think I read about this 'outside running' somewhere before, sounds pretty cool

not OP, but on a side note, what's a good speed to have the treadmill at to simulate normal running?

shitty british weather is shitty

I'm not sure about it. I don't want any stupid gimmick

Look, you cheat yourself when you use the treadmill. Jogging in a nice airconditioned gym will never cause you to work as hard if you were to fight daylight and inclement weather by jogging outside.

Just remember to stay hydrated and run on soft surfaces to preserve your knees.

just run on your fucking toes, same thing.

Don't call it jogging. It is known as "running". The term "jog" should only be used to describe a pace.

don't try to twist words, jogging is a perfectly exceptable term for a slow trot.

Yes, what you say is true, but consider the fact that not everyone lives in an area that's good/safe for running outside. Where I live there are no sidewalks and the drivers are crazy, I nearly got run over every time I tried exercising outside. Therefore, asking what the best way to burn fat on a treadmill is a perfectly valid question since some of us lack alternatives.

Yeah man, fight the daylight. It's very important that you're getting skin cancer at the same time that you're burning calories. That's totally relevant to determining the amount of benefit you are getting from the exercise.

Fucking wanker.

OP here.

>>295393

Yeah it's not an ideal running/exercising environment here, that's why I use treadmills.
