Running Vs. Biking? Anonymous
Hey /fit/
i have been running and biking alot more recently and i was just wondering if one was better then the other. and since im really only doin it to lose weight is there one i should do more of?

both are fine.
I'd say running is more effective compared to normal biking.
However, if you got a racer and go full power, you'll burn fat like crazy and get huge legs.

Some of the highest recorded VO2 max readings have been from Cyclists (though the highest is some cross country skier).

So it really depends on your exertion level. An hour of biking at a high cadence with some resistance is going to yield around the same benefits as running at a comparable exertion level.

I do both (many times on the same day). They don't seem to conflict at all, so you could get away with some cross-training.
