Ok /fit/, I have a problem thats bothering me very much. In late January, I was 196 lb, and as of now, I am 153 lb. I may be off on the initial number, but I've lost 40 lb to date. However... I don't feel like it was 40 lb. I mean, I do know that I look like I've lost weight, my parents tell me so, and a teacher of mine noticed too. My belly has gone in a little, my neck looks like it's lost some fat as well. My legs... I dunno, they don't look like they've lost much. My point is though, that I'm 20 lb away from being at a normal weight for my height. So, I'd need to lose half of what I've lost total so far to get there. But, losing half of what I've lost so far would still leave me with this stomach, legs, and neck. I dunno if the fat has burned off, and my skin just hasn't tightened up... Like, I can now squeeze around my stomach to my enjoyment, I'm not sure about my legs though. So, what should I do, stop worrying? Does it take a while for the changes in weight to be apparent? For stats, I am underageb&, I'm nearly 5'4", male, and you know my weight already. The way I changed my diet was that I basically took out everything I ate in between meals, and I started to eat breakfast and pack my lunch. I jog for a hour a day for exercise.

Anyone? I feel like I'm going insane here.

You really need to start some light weight lifting to replace tone your muscles; I guarantee if you do, you will lose a substantial amount of weight in the process.

How much, and how? I'm also afraid of stunting my growth if I do much.

Get some 10-15lb free weights and do curls, presses, lunges, etc. Also, you can start doing sit-ups and push-ups, those are relatively low maintenance work outs which can help you lean out.

muscle weigh more than fat.
When you work out and eat right, you'll gain weight, but look better.

You cannot target fat loss in a spot.
Your body stores and burns fat in equal parts all over your body.

I know about the spot reduction crap... But it just feels that even if I lose another 20 lb, I'll still have the belly, fat thighs, ass, double chin, etc. mainly because I've lost 40 lb so far, and I haven't noticed extreme change to where I thought I would.

Aren't you exaggerating this a lil' bit?
Don't get anorexic or shit.
Just lay back, eat normal, hold your ideal weight and do some sports.

I guess I am a little... But again, I want to look skinny, not just weigh less.

here's an idea, how about instead of coming here and asking your stupid vapid questions you go and actually read up on fitness, health and diet? you know, empower yourself and shit? if you want to be healthy and fit, why don't you read about what healthy and fit people do?

When I first started out, /fit/ was very helpful. I dunno if it still is or not...

this is because when the board first started people weren't overwhelmed by answering the same stupid questions with the same stupid answers every stupid day.

you will do much better if you go and learn, rather than coming here and getting faceless advice from the internet hate machine. or are you actually stupid?
