Hey /fit/

over the past two months ive started lightly working out, maybe 30-40 reps with 25 pound dumb bells once or twice a day. I'm 6'0 130 pounds.

i'm seeing results pretty quickly since im so skinny, but my question is what would be the best way to build muscle tone?

i've been trying to stop eating fast food and have been drinking water with the propel packets rather than soda.

Not having to join a gym or use whey/protein shakes would be preferable but if i have to I'm willing to.

go to 7chan fit and read their sticky.
Basically you'll want to do a 5x5 workout for a start.

30 to 40 reps is nonsense.
Won't build you big muscle, that kind of rep number is only good for endurance training.
5x5 bitches.

OP here. honestly its mostly genetics, my grandpa was a mover most of his life and is probably one of the strongest people i have ever known. he was as skinny as a twig but could carry a fullsize couch on his back up a flight of stairs.

Try stronglifts.com instead.

I wasn't sure what 5x5's were but stronglifts say i should have a bench, which i dont have, and i dont have those type of weights either.

Any opinions on the perfect pushup rotator's? My bro has a set that i could borrow, but they make my arms burn so much i can't really do that many.

eat small meals before and after each workout
