I just had a long chat with a USAF Pararescue team leader today, and asked him pretty much the same question...what my fat ass needed to do to prepare for indoc.
Run every other day...one day of intervals, the other long distance. Try to run farther than you will during your indoc course (I assume Euros have one) for your distance days, and just work on cutting your time on interval days.
On non-running days, do strength training....free weights or pushups/situps/pullups etc...stay off the machines for the most part.
Take your seventh day off...he didn't say that specifically, but I know offhand you don't want to burn yourself out.
Focus on improving one thing at a time. Again, don't burn yourself out. You need to be going back to the gym every day.
I don't know if your service does any water training, but if it does, start swimming. Work it into your cardio days.
Most of all, when you're finally in your indoc course, don't give up, no matter how hard your instructors harass you. That's the whole fucking point of indoc. All those assholes, muscleheads, etc who brag about how buff they are will wash out ahead of you. Just keep focused.
