Bicycling Sad Anon !s0aMvd4jU2
Hello /fit/
I would like to know that can i lose weight by riding my bike. Yes, i'm serious.
I'd like to lose weight, it doesn't really matter who fast, but as i hardly ever move my butt anywhere i think just about doing anything will make me lose a few pounds eventually..right?
I would go running and that shit but i have this weird problem when i run, sometimes it suddenly feels like i'm having knives in my feet and it forces me to stop..

Anyway, Dear /fit/ Is it possible to lose weight by bicycling?

This so sounds like a troll, but this is /fit/, so I'll give serious advice.

Yes, you can lose weight if you bike. However, this is only if you are consuming less calories than you are burning. So if you bike for a half hour or whatever and than go home and eat a bag of Doritos, then no, you probably won't lose weight.

Eat smart, and biking is a good way to burn calories.

No i wasn't trolling, and i meant it like, if i go and make a 20mile trip, come home, go to shower, take a nap, eat food (Food, not fastfood or snack), rest for hour or two, then go and do 15mile trip, come home, call it a day etc etc etc

Also, Thanks for your answer :)

I think biking is an ideal way to lost weight.

Easier on the joints than running. You don't stink like chlorine.

You have to bike hard though. Over an hour, up hills.

Um, just be sure to stay away from traffic, and if you're on a bike path, stay to one side rather than being that moron with his earphones in swerving all over the path and not letting people by because he can't hear them.

Very true. I never kept it loud enough I couldn't hear what was going on. The rest of your advice is spot on.

>>242459That is just using your brains, which is useful :)

>>242453I hate those morons too, and traffic isn't a problem, there's a lot of places where are no traffic and the air is fresh, i don't really like that city fume filled air you know..

>>242449How about if i go to forest trails and such? It would be fun and "rougher" than just going in normal terrain.

>>242438Possibly true, though i tend to show my appreciation so i like to thank.
