>>86100 if you've never exercised much before, you don't really need to start off on the weights right away. it won't hurt, but it's not necessary. you can do pushups for the upper body, and while running/biking/swimming etc IS cardio, you will definitely feel your muscles burning the day after a long session.. which means they are getting stronger. after a short while though, you'll start to plateau with this and that's when weights will really start to help.
