hi dear /fit/ters.i've got a question.i go to the gym, train the shit outta me, SQUATZ FUCK YEAH! etc.but i also run, but not just running as a fatass trying to lose weight. i run 5km, 10km, 15km races. My main goal by being in the gym is being strong, fit and having an amazing body, and by running my main goals are being healthier, having a great endurance and beat the shit out of the other runners.the question is, does my gym interfere with my running or viceversa?can i run my 7km practice and 20 minutes later do my gym routine (with no secondary effects)? (i actually do this and don't feel dizzy or anything, just the normal pain of training harder everytime)is there some kind of "schedule" to mix my activities to get the best out of them, together?Comment too long. With those long distances you need to keep up your weight training so you dont lose muscle, i know I run XCTY and first year I got really weak then started lifting
bump for a needed guy.
As long as you keep yourself nourished during your endurance runs (above 5k)--which means protein, and carbs in simple sugar form applied evenly and adequately throughout as needed--you should be fine. Godspeed.
no more help ?
>>448375>>448350This is all you need. Also, separate your runs from your lifting by say... 4 hours.
>>448308i'd do lifts firstask yourself a question: Would I rather be on my 6th km and have to walk, or be under 300lbs of weights and fall down?
