Hi

I have been smoking for 3 years, i know its not that much compared to others but I know it will have consequences on the long run. Do you think I can have have back what this has been doing to me if i stop.

I really wanna stop I hate smoking but it got me.

I also have panic attacks sometimes, could the cigarette be one of the factor that provokes it ? My first one was when I first stopped smoking, I think the withdraw caused the first one.

I hate this, please help.

Also patches don't work they make my heart beat so much its fucking scary

Cigarette smoking increases a person's metabolic rate in part by forcing the heart to beat faster. When a cigarette is inhaled, the smoker's heart may beat 10 to 20 times more per minute for a period of time. This causes extra stress on the heart and plays a role in heart disease, the most common cause of smoking-related death. And think about this: A smoking habit of 20 cigarettes a day puts approximately the same amount of stress on the heart as 90 pounds of extra weight would. When we stop smoking, heart rate slows down somewhat, causing metabolism to dip a bit as well.

While shifts in metabolism, along with dietary changes, can signal a slight weight gain, we can take steps to build our metabolic rate back up in ways that benefit our health rather than destroy it, as smoking does. If weight gain due to smoking cessation is something you fear or is a reality you're struggling with, use the tips below to help you keep your weight stable as you recover from nicotine addiction.

Just stay on the sticks until you lose weight fat fuck.

I would highly suggest you stop. Not that i go around telling people to, but knowing the side effects i hate to see people smoke. Now i will preach here casue your asking for help.

First off some facts.

Smoking causes muscle loss. The cigarettes actually accelerate the regular decay of muscles. So theres reason one.

Smoking cause sever stress on your entire cardio-vascular system. To the point of irreversable damage. This is part of your panic attacks. Your smoking is starting to cause damage to your cardio-vascular system. Cause it to "scramble", giving the sudden breathlessness, etc etc, that come with panic attacks.

I can go on and on, but thouse are the two majour things that you should be concerned about. For every year you smoke, your body takes aprox 6 months to detoxify, and reverse any of the bad effects. Now this doesn't mean everything will go back to normal. You may have caused permanent damage (the panic attacks agian) that may never be fixed. But most of smokings effects over the course of one year, can be fixed by the body, in aprox 6 months.

How do i suggest quitting? Cold turkey is the best way. Your body will immediately go into shock, and kick its own ass in getting things fixed. You'll feel and act better and healthier within the week. This is the hardest though. I suggest doing whatever it takes to quit smoking, and in a year and a half, you'll feel like a champ.

Another fact to consider:

Smoking is fucking awesome.

Humphrey Bogart smoked like a motherfucking chimney, and he was the fucking tits. If you smoke, you can be awesome like him.

Sure, he went to an early grave, but that's the price you pay for awesome.
