Hello /fit/,

I'm a 16 year old male, about 5'9" and 159 lbs. I'm pretty active. I play hockey for 7 months a year, and junior lacrosse. But this year I chose not to play because im to small out there. I ahve a bit of a tummy(not a big one, i just cant see my abs, im not "fat" or really "overweigth". So I've been hitting the gym for the past 2-3 months. I go about 5-6 times a week. I do alot of HIIT, and I alternate my muscle groupes for weight lifting. Is there anything else i can do to slim down and gain muscle? I also eat well.

In b4, fatass, underage /fit/ & fag.

Best thing to do would be to run, swim or go on a treadmill.

First two burn the most fat while the third is the easiest and could be pretty effective depending on resistance settings available.

i'm not that fat, i do do alotof cardio(running). I can see the top of my abs when i flex, soy, but what I'm doing is good?

Running is the best thing you can do to burn fat in terms of exercise. The only other major way to increase fat burning would be to diet by eating less food or eating less fatty, healthier foods.

No, theres a section on gymjones.com where they post everything they do daily, and it is backlogged for a few years. Go there, and go under schedule. It will show a calendar detailing much of the things they do. Be prepared though, its real work. Nothing pussy about it.

Gym Jones = CrossFit rip-off

srsly. They were an affiliated gym up until around the time 300 came out, then Twight (Gym Jones' owner) wanted to take all the credit for his training methods, so he broke that off. Then a whole lot of legal stuff ensued between Twight and Glassman (CrossFit owner) over intellectual property copyright infringements.

See: http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/CrossFit_Mark-Twight.pdf

The following is an article he wrote for the CrossFit e-mag before the break...

The following was excerpted from several of Mark’s posts on the www.crossfit.com message board.

“You can talk all you want about being in good shape until you do a few CrossFit workouts. And then you will realize -- like I did -- that what you have been doing is likely training strong points, rarely working on weak points, and training efficiency to such a degree that the workouts you do are less effective than they might be if you mixed energy modes, duration, and types of work.

Eh, I keep getting post length errors when I try to copypasta it. There's enough of it there.
