so you guys always keep talking about SQUATZ.

My legs are perfectly fine from just doing leg presses. I didn't really want to go into SQUATZ because of possible back injury. So what's so great about them?

how is your core though?
back?
want more usable strength?

Answering these questions will determine whether or not you want to do squats

What would you do if the Malysian police forced you to do NAKED EAR SQUATZ?

what do you mean by "usable" strength?

I'm really thinking about starting to do squats, I just want to know how they'll help improve my body. I'm also a little bit scared of getting knee/back problems from doing them.

It stimulates many muscle groups, and I would say is a very "natural" body movement. Compared to isolation moves.

Being that it is a basic body movement, necessary in generating power for many activities, I would say it is "usable" strength.

All that being said, I am partial to deadlifts and power cleans

You WILL NOT get knee injuries from squats.
The only way to get that is if you do too much weight before you are ready to do so.
Back injury is possible, but if you learn your form, and feel for it, you will most likely NEVER get an injury from squatting.

>>324012is right. I noticed a big difference between using squats and leg presses. Leg presses don't do shit for you're core or balance. Try squats for a month.
