So, I just started working out seriously for the first time in my life two months ago. I'm 18.

Like a lot of people said I would, I am noticing some rapid progression. The problem is, its sort of one sided.

I'm really seeing the right side of my body starting to gain muscle a lot quicker than my left. I noticed this weeks ago and have mainly been working out with free weights and no bar in order to make sure my right arm/shoulder/chest wasn't doing all the work.

Its not like I'm noticing no progress in my left side, just less. How can I even things out without completely stopping working out my right side? Thanks.

Some people have the problem of working out the dominant arm more by maintaining proper form longer. The longer you work out and the more weight you use the less this problem will become until it no longer exists.

Finally, a real response.

I thought I had posted in /b/ for a second.

use a barbell damnit. if you keep it paralel it means both sides are making equal efforts.
