Dear /fit/,

So I am doing HIIT and SQUATZ, but mostly I just do them until I get bored/severely winded, which is no standard of measurement at all. If I'm a newb with shit fitness to begin with, for how long approx. should I be doing /fit/'s favourite exercises?

Also, it's gotten really cold out recently, and every time I come back from HIIT I get these massive headaches from the wind blowing past my ears. Would wearing earplugs prevent this, or do I have to invest in earmuffs?
