remember- if you don't give your muscles time to rest, they arent going to get big. you arent actually building muscle when you go and lift- you are destroying your muscle, tearing it down. when you stop and rest, your body repairs the muscle, building it up in the process. tearing down and healing, over time, builds muscle. if you dont give yourself time to rest, all you are doing is shredding your muscle and not giving it time to rebuild itself and actually become bigger and stronger.
i would say at least 2 days rest for the muscles you worked out, more if you feel you need it.
