Yo,

So When i work out I usually start out with weight lifting first and then finish of with 20 mins of cardio at about 150 bps.

Is it best to take the cardio before or after the weight lifting?

I usually start with light cardio and end with heavy. The light cardio at the beginning helps stretch and reduces your chance for injury.

Before, it helps get your heart rate up and all that jazz.

I usually don't have a problem with injurys. Just start with a few reps of light weight. Never had a problem so far.

I have not been taking the cardio first because I don't want to use up all my energy before I start lifting.

You should be doing a small bit of cardio (with some basic exercises) before you lift, just to warm up your heart and stretch.

You do not want to go flogging yourself on cardio and then do the lifting, you need to have plenty of energy to hold perfect form throughout the lift section.

After you've lifted, hit the main part of your cardio to finish.
