Yes.
1-5 heavy weight = strength.6-12 medium weight = mass15 or more light weight = endurance
muscle mass is the 8-12 rep range. Below that you're doing strength and above you're doing endurance.

OP here - thanks for the help so farI have dumbells with 4 2.5kg discs and 4 1.25kg discs, should I do about 10 reps with 10kg for mass?
