Hey there /fit/! One of the fatfuck regulars here, lost approx 50pounds so far with /fit/s advice and motivation (Read: Tom venutos advice and /fit/s insults). But today I have a different query, I have this sort of "obsession" with games that require fast fingers, games like frets on fire, stepmania, etc etc.. most of which are probably unheard of in /fit/. but essentially its like jacking it in a way that benefits finger muscle, rather than forearm. I play these games a LOT, like about 3 hours a day, usually to a point where my fingers are stiff and aching, is this bad for me?

And for anyone wondering about my weight loss, I stopped devouring everything in a 5 metre radius and started exercising, nothing to it. No strict diet, no constant exercise, just 45 minutes a day and I'm set.

I don't know the correct term in english but there is something called "micromovements" that can be damaging for your bones/muscles/nerves later in your life. Rapid movements (like when playin video games or the guitar) put some stress on the fingers. That's why guitarists warm up. Google it.

i know this only marginally related, but as a hardcore golfer, i encounter a lot of finger stiffness and pain after a lot of practice. do you ever stretch your fingers/forearms? helps a lot. especially if you do it in the shower, where your muscles are already warmer
