So, hey /fit/

This is the first time i post here (not new to 4chan, but never cared about other sections other than /a/) and i came for your advice.

I´m a lazy ass 19 years old guy with no life, MMO adict, weaboo etc... and i´m bored of my daily routine. I´m a sore loser that has droped school 2 months before graduating from High School whose life consists in: "Wake up-have breakfast (eggs+ham+tortillas+coke)- browse the web-watch some anime- play some MMO- eat-back to the computer- eat- -computer- eat then to sleep.

I know, it´s pathetic, and it has come to the point that i´ve even lost my sense of personal Hygiene. I have a long terrible looking beard, i smell like if i just came out of the sewer right now and it´s 6 a.m. and i haven´t slept a bit.

I´m 189cm and weight 160kg (maybe more, i don´t know), i know i need to loose weight because i have 50% chances of geting a Heart Attack, also because i would become useless later. Oh yeah, and 8 months ago doctors said i had some "stones" in my kidney.

But even with all of this, i lack of motivation to start doing excersise, and when i try i lose interest and quit. The fact that i don´t know how to cook so i have to eat what mom brings home or prepares (when she wants to) doesn´t help that much, and also i never eat vegetables.

I need some advices /fit/ so i was hoping you could help me.

Thanks in advance guys, also i don´t know who she is,a friend gave me that pic.

LEAVE THE HOUSE EVERY DAY.
>> Anonymous
That will take a whole fucking lot of work.
Reading your post, i doubt you have the motivation to go through with it. You had your chance when you were on your way to what you are now, but unless you have great willpower, you are screwed.
Start by eating less. Try to move more. Go out and take a walk would do, even. Carry a waterbottle with you at all times, and sip from it all the time. I would say start training, but at that point it won't do much but waste energy on it, you're better off running.
>> Anonymous
>>92172
Thanks.

Yeah, i know i should eat less but i don´t know what to eat. As i said, i never eat veggies, so it´s going to take a while for me to get used to them, also, i can´t eat onions since at the very first contact with my tongue i start throwing out my organs.

I guess all i need to do is find something that motivates me. Thanks.
>>92171
Lol, yeah, i know i should
>> Anonymous
worst-case scenario, you do nothing, and those stones pass.

You will have all the motivation you will ever need right there.
>> Anonymous
>>92175
What do you mean by "pass"?
>> Anonymous
>>92176
"You might have severe pain that can last minutes to hours as the stone moves and irritates the lining of the urinary tract or blocks the flow of urine. This pain might be followed by long periods of relief. There might be a period of nausea and vomiting with the pain. The pain might start in the kidneys or lower abdomen and then later move to the groin. As the stone moves toward the bladder, you might feel an increased need to urinate."

L2google.
>> Anonymous
>>92176
I mean "pass" through your urethra. Be sure to have powerful painkillers on hand if it comes to this.
>> Anonymous
>>92174
Oatmeal. Make that your foundation. Best food ever, even if it has no taste and is a bother to get down. I'd also suggest getting some protein powder for protein with not many calories at all.
Also, multi-vit. Vital for you. Breakfast should be really boring, something like Oatmeal, Protein powder and multi-vit. For regular meals, whole-grain pasta is great. Chicken or fish for protein.

I guess you could live with that.
Oatmeal, Protein powder, chicken, fish, whole-grain pasta. Water should be the only liquid you dring. You could get some low-fat milk if you like milk.
>> Anonymous
>>92176
It means that even though you did jack shit to help, the kidneys still give the a-ok, and your stones get straight C's. Congratulations, they are now officially mediocre.
>> Anonymous
>>92178
I already have those. It feels like a void on the left side of my lower abdomen (sometimes the right side) that starts sucking in everything. The last 2 times i cried because of the pain.

>>92180
Goodbye coke... it´s ok, i went 6 months without a single bottle of that. I don´t know what´s that protein powder you talk about, any idea where can i get that? I mean, if you can buy them on your local Wal-mart or you have to go to a GNC (general nutrition center)?

Thanks a lot for the help guys
>> Anonymous
>>92180

This one speaks the truth. Stop buying crappy food.

Do you have a 'fast, happy music' playlist on your music program of choice? If not, make one. If so, at the very next opportunity (housemates not withstanding), I want you to get up, I want you to get out of your chair, play your fast, happy music, and start dancing like you mean it. No-one need ever know.

The sooner you do something, anything, the sooner you'll feel happy about it. Be strict with yourself, or you'll give it up too soon to get any benefits.

Also, have a shower and leave the house every day. Hopefully leaving the house should give you the needed motivation to have a goddamn shower.
>> Anonymous
>>92185
Does trance music counts?

And yeah, i´ll go to sleep soon, so when i wake up i´ll take a shower
>> Anonymous
>>92188
Depends, does it make you want to get up off your arse and dance?
>> Anonymous
>>92192
Nothing makes me want to dance since i suck at it. But it makes me go YAAAAAY and happy.
>> Anonymous
>>92195

If you don't like to dance just imagine you're a kid jumping around in puddles on rainy days and go nuts for 20-30 minutes.

OP, can you touch your toes/do a sit up/do a push up?
>> anonymous
you need to find inspiration in one form or another...tell your mom you're unhappy and you want to change, starting with your diet, then start exercising - walking to start with and then you can move to the gym or running.

Sounds like you'll need support to do this so i would go looking for that before you go it alone..
>> Anonymous
Changing a lifestyle is ridiculously hard. You're going to need to start channeling some xbox hueg RAGE, or find a friend to just rip into your self-esteem every day to jump start things.
>> Anonymous
Oh, honey. You need your high school diploma or a GED, and then you need to go out and get a job. Do it while your parents are still willing to support you. Don't wait until it's too late you're really screwed.

Once you do this, you'll be a lot more motivated to bathe, walk places, eat better, and be a healthier person, because you'll be in control of your own life again.
>> Anonymous
Lack of sex should be enough motivation. I lost 90 kilograms. Belive me you'll start exercising when the first chick notices you. It worked for me. That and a uber low calorie diet.
>> Anonymous
>>92167
don't change OP eventually you'll reach a point where you want to do a 180

I lost 90 pounds

motivated by despair and boredom, fuck willpower and healthy living
>> Anonymous
Assuming it's not a troll:
You need to change the way you eat, and get some kind of exercise.

Food: Stop eating shit.

Breakfast: non sweetened cereal, fruit, one or two eggs either fried without butter or boiled, NO HAM, NO SOFT DRINKS

Lunch: tuna, wholemeal pasta, salad, chicken breast (grilled), lean steak, NO GREASY SHIT, NO SOFT DRINKS

Dinner: same as lunch but minimal carbs (bread, pasta, rice etc)

You should try to avoid being hungry but not eat shit. If you do eat stuff you shouldn't, don't binge, just get back on the wagon. Don't bother with diet foods, they're mostly worthless.

For exercise, start with walking or riding a pushbike. It's low impact and if you go hiking you won't feel self conscious. Work up to some pushups and sit ups when you've lost some weight. Buy some cheap dumbells you can use at home, it's cheaper than agy membership and you can do a few reps of curls etc whenever you get a chance.

I typed all this, so fucking DO IT FAGGOT. If you act now you can make a big improvement in your life.
>> Anonymous
The biggest thing you need to beware of is trying to change everything about your life instantly, and failing (as anyone would), and then thinking, "I guess I'm beyond help, fuck it."

You will be able to maintain progress better if you set reasonable goals and keep stepping it up, rather than trying to alter all aspects of your lifestyle instantly.

Think of ways to get your goals to play off each other and support each other. You're going to need to leave the house to get your GED, so take advantage of that fact, and use it to motivate you to do OTHER things outside. D&D nerd here, I like to think of it as a synergy bonus.

Thank you very much sir, this is exactly what i needed, and no, i wasn´t trolling, i don´t like to waste time like that (not even on /a/).

I was reading some stuff over the web, like the 7chan´s F.A.Q. and then google some stuff since i´m no native english speaker, so there is stuff i didn´t understood.

Thank you very much everyone, i´m saving this thread in my computer for future references. Also yeah, DO IT FAGGOT! is something that´s going to be repeating over and over inside my head this week.

Thank you very much, i´ll report next week (and every week from now, how do you get a tripcode?) with a summary of what i eat and what i do as excersise, i expect your advise and help if you´d like in this new journey.

Thank you guys.

And just to be clear, i´m not interested in getting a Hulk-like body, neither a needle body.

I just want to have a normal body.

no more playing mmo's , do sport , diet and work ;)

>>92260
Well, to be honest, i barely play MMO´s anymore, i have more fun playing chess with my sis or when my friends come and play BRAWL on wii (once a week)

Try push ups. If you can do it, try wall pushups. At first I could only do like 8 and they go my heart beating and blood rushing everywhere. By the last one I was breathing hard. The rush was not pleasurable at first, but I have learned to love it.

Also, try walking and jogging.

Google "BMR" and get that calculated. It is the amount of calories you burn if you lie down and do nothing. Use that as your minimum but try to stay within 50 calories of it. Also, try getting something like Dance Dance Revolution where you can work out at home while still getting decent cardio done. They even have a workout program that shows an estimated amount of calories you are burning. It is really a good motivation to see your progress.

You just have to bed strict about yourself and think about the result in the end.

Never give up, my friend. You have taken the first step to making yourself not a miserable waste of human life.
>> Anonymous
Hey OP, where do you get money to pay bills and stuff?
>> Anonymous
>>92274
fun fact
if he can do 1 push up, that is around 2/3 of his bodyweight
so he could get a 106kg bench press much faster than most begginers

>>92276

He lives with his mom. It is pretty normal for people outside the US (OP uses metric measurements and said English isn't his native language) because they don't have it as easy as us in terms of the ability to financially support themselves right after high school. Although, it sounds like OP is a mooching faggot without a job.

>>92231

That's where I'm at right now. I haven't lost all the weight yet but due to despair, boredom and girls I've gone from insanely unhealthy and lazy to pretty healthy and working out 5 times a week.
>> Anonymous
im 172cm (5.64ft), 89kg (196 lb for you non-ISM users). BMI 39, 20% bodyfat.

I started working out due to lack of sex, lack of interests (nothing seemed to appease me) and general wanting-to-be-better.

I'm 6 months into it (going to the gym 3-4 times a week for 2 hours or more) to do cardio and lifting. I started to see some results and now I'm on a fat-loss diet. Moreover, I feel confident, strong and great.

Since you have no obligations or time requirements as of now, I suggest you get a gym membership and ask the staff for the low hours. You can then go when there are less people around so you won't be embarrased if a chick can lift more than you and such. First days will be awful due to DOMS, but stick it out and you'll start feeling better each day, and even missing it if you skip a day. From that point, you will need no more motivation.

Yo OP I was in your shoes about 6-7 months ago. Until one day I was like fuck it, and did 10 push-ups. Yes, 10.. its not much but afterwards I felt all this energy surging through my body. Plus, exercise is just a cure for depression/anxiety/stress as paxil and zoloft ect.

So I started doing push-ups. maybe 8-12 a day. and I saw results in less than a week. Now I can do over 30. But I slow them down and make the muscles work harder which will make them grow. I also run.

I wasn't overweight when I started doing this so I didn't lose much weight, but I became more defined? I guess thats the right word..

Eat a lot of protein, and fruits that you like.Drink a lot of water/green tea/any kind of tea. That will flush your body of a lot of nasty shit that has been building up over time. My doc told me my health has gone up dramatically, stamina, my sexual drive is much stronger. So give it a try.. Push yourself. Good luck

19 years old and getting kidney stones? Wow...
>> Anonymous
OP, I once was in your position, but at the opposite end of the weight spectrum. I wasn't anorexic, but I didn't feel I had a reason to survive anymore, so I mostly stopped eating. My knees went to shit, I got kidney stones as well, and I wasn't all that far from heart attack. If someone had said "boo" to me I may well have gone down then and there.

My first step in recovery was finding a female. The girl I picked was an unbelievably hot latina I'd been in school with for a year who had never given me a second look. I sat down and wrote out what it would take, from her perspective, to even care that I existed. Realizing that I wasn't a complete dumbass, just a socially fuckwitted zombie, it pretty much came down to this: eat like a healthy person, exercise, and buy some clothes. In addition, I got a job -- I spent all my time at home wanking anyway, so some forced socialization + money was in order. I highly recommend getting a job; if you've never had to do anything outside of school before, you probably suck at socializing. Being totally helpless but to socialize really helps out.

Long story short, I got the girl, held on to her for 6 months, decided she wasn't good enough for me, and dumped her. Now I don't need someone else to motivate me to stay /fit/; I can do it for myself.

One thing that really helped me turn my life around was a good sleeping pattern. OP sounds like hes awake all night then sleeps all morning till noon or later. What you need to do is wake up everyday at the same time. 7am is a good choice for a start. Everyday you need to wake up at 7am without fail. Force yourself to do it, get your mum to drag you out of bed at 7am. The most important thing to remember is to go to sleep when your tired and only when your tired. Go to sleep at 3am and wake up at 7am, the next night you will go to bed even earlier and get into a stable pattern of bedtime.

I know OP doesnt have anything to wake up for but do it anyway, do your morning routine then go for a walk, help your mum, take an hour a day to sit away from the computer and think. Better yet do this GED thing(Finishing high school?) and get a crappy part time job like the rest of us, don't waste the money on crap. Start college or a trade. A regular sleeping pattern lets you build daily routines.

OP here, i just came up from shopping.

Thanks everyone for all your help, as i said, i´m saving all the responses here.

I just wanted to clear up some stuff:

-Yes, i live with my parents (sorta, they´re getting divorced soon)
-No, i don´t have a job right now (But i have worked before as a waiter and as part of the security satff on a night club... that was hell)
-Yeah, lack of sex could be a motivation for any man, altought for one reason, the last thing that comes to my mind when i´m with a girl is sex, all i want is someone to talk to.

And one last question, since you already know, i don´t know how to cook, but any suggestions on where to get any recipes for healthy food? I´m willing to eat everything except onions.

Thanks a lot guys.

a 10-15 minute run every 2nd day will get that for you in no time. Just make sure you dont go for a stroll, you gotta push yourself. Just buy lots of cold meat, lettuce tamato and food like that. make urself healthy sandwhiches for after u run. Ultimately its up to you. Start with small things though, dont rush into it, work your way up slowly coz your body wont be use to the stress and change of food.

OP,

About not knowing how to cook, I was in the same boat as well. Try www.startcooking.com They have some excellent videos explaining the basics. You'll be suprised how easy some of them are. Try the grilled chicken and pork chops (remember to trim off the fat).

Remember to observe food safety too; I started cooking and got sick because I ate some badly preserved meat. If you're only cooking for yourself, remember to split up the meat into single serving sizes before sticking it in the freezer.

Good luck!

Being able to enjoy your /fit/ness routine will keep you on it for longer. Are there any vegetables that you eat, besides potatoes? (Potatoes are a starch-rich food) What about vegetables that aren't so bad?
