Hi /fit/ I've come here because I want to stop being a lazy junk eating bastard.

I need help on a good diet because all I eat is fast food and all I drink is soda. I am 5'10 135 lbs. I started running every other day and also I've been using the perfect pushup but I still eat horribly ( fast food and junk food etc. )

Can you guys come up with a diet plan for me? or tell me what to eat and what not to eat etc.

Eat 4-6 meals during the day. Breakfast being the largest and dinner should be very light. Make stuff at home.

1) Avoid foods that have ingredients longer than 3 syllables.
2) Avoid restaurant/prepared foods
3) Avoid Carbs and Sugars. i.e. High Fructose Corn syrup, processed grain, rice, etc.
4) If it won't rot eventually, don't eat it. (Pringles, nacho "cheese", etc)

Meal Ideas:
Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Slice of toast if you must.

1/3 lb burger with Cheese (NOT american), Lettuce, and Tomato, bun if you really must.

Salad with greens of your choice, carrots, cheese shavings, minimal dressing, and croutons if you really must.

Etc.

Well, the first step is creating a schedule you can actually follow. I eat the same breakfast every day, oatmeal, a banana, and a glass of orange juice. I drink water until my next meal, when I have anything i want, as long as its well balanced. My rules are 1 protein, 1 carb, 1 green vegtable, and then 1 whatever-the-fuck-i-want. After lunch i work out 3 times a week. Then i drink a protein/cratine shake, and then dinner around 6, following same rules as lunch: well balanced.

Honestly, it was brutal at first. I always wanted coke, and fast food. But after you force yourself to steam some vegetables, grill some chicken...man pretty soon fast food just doesn't seem appetizing to you.

Basically

tl;dr set realistic rules you can follow, do it for a month and pretty soon you'll never look back.

also, buy a blender and make smoothies, because they are way fucking better than anything mcdonalds can make, and actually healthy

George Foreman grill, and a rice cooker. Two teenage tools that are essential to taking control of your own damn diet.

best diet evar:
breakfast: oatmeal
lunch: homemade chili (I've made a recipe that is only 600cal for a fuckton of yumyum chili)
dinner: miso soup

grand total of calories: about 1000

if you mix in some exercise that means you'll drop a pound a day

HOW FUCKING EVER

5'10" and 135lbs??!?!?!?!?!?! That's medically UNDERweight, sir

Sup /fit/,

I'm 17 years old, 5'11" and 231 pounds, and I want to get healthier, but I don't know anything about exercise. A few months ago I decided I'd do something about it, stopped drinking soda, cut down on fast food, and stopped eating extras in between meals (or if I did I went to fruits/vegetables). At the same time I started running on a treadmill my parents bought, 30 minutes a day at 3.4mph, for about two weeks. Then one day I lost the power cord to the treadmill, and when I found it again a week later, I didn't start running again. Not only that, I started slacking on what I eat, however, I didn't go back to drinking soda (I used to average 4-6 cans a day).

So now I want to start back up again, and I know I can handle it, because I did before, but my problem is ignorance. Running and eating less without feeling any different gets to me. So what I want to know if there's anything I should know about how much I should exercise, and what to expect... It doesn't matter how long, if I can see some progress happening I'd feel differently.

I disagree with #2, re: restaurants. As long as your order right, you should be fine.
