the movements (AS I ALREADY SAID) are so novel/specific, there is little to NO sports specific transference of skill
ie. throwing a med ball makes u better at throwing a med ball
not throwing your opponent in judo, not jumping/freeruning betr, not benching better in powerlifting, not blasting your opponent off the line in football, not jerking better in oly lifting.
also, by making it 50lbs versus 8, you have completely changed the nature of the lift, from ballistic to strength-speed to maximal voluntary effort (ie. slow as shit)
the only sport med balls 'kinda help' in are the heavy throwing athletics (shot and hammer), even then, throwing PUDS are much better
so how about you read up on your bondarchuk, zaitchouk, simmons, siff, and zatsiorsky before we get started on the 'application of the means for the preparation of an athlete'
