WTF: +3000 calories a day at 140lbs, with minimal fat gain? Anonymous
So /fit/

I just started gaining about 2 weeks ago; I am now eating close to 3000 calories a day, if not more and have increased my protein intake to around 150-200gs a day, also I am taking in A LOT of good fats, which is where most of my caloric intake is coming from (almonds, etc) -- probably 50-70g a day of fats. And, I am only eating complex carbs at about 150g a day. This increase in calories in up from about 1500-1700 a day when I was cutting.

Also, I have substantially cut down my cardio from 4-5 times a week to once a week.

When I started I weighed 135, and had like a 9-11% BF. Now I weigh 142 and have a BF of 12-14% ( 3% increase in 2 weeks), but the thing is that I still looked fine; could this be added muscle (it seems excessive to be gaining 4-5lbs of muscle in two-weeks)?

I should also note that I just begin training my legs, as I had been seriously neglecting doing so beforehand. I started with 5x5 deadlifts, calve presses, and lunges. Since starting, my lower body has become considerably leaner and my muscles have grown noticeably with just 3 splits.

Whadya think /fit/?

Because it's an improvement? It looks good still. You don't have to be a body builder to look good.
/fit/ doesn't mean /230lbs+orGTFO/

For the record his name is Robert Cheeke, and he is a vegan body builder!

Call me a vainfag, but I can't get past the terrible haircut and pants to appreciate this.

And the brow. That is the brow of a serial rapist.

Being in shape doesn't cure the fugly disease.

Dude's nose has angles. And he's still only got a chest and abs (which are subpar). Where's his traps, or anything that suggest he does something other than benchncurlz?

He obviously got poor, incestuous genetics judging by the before picture, but you can only blame that so much.

I googled gaining muscle, and that picture popped up on google images.

The guy is ugly as fuck.

No one has anything to say? I must be winning the game, then?

He gained a good amount of muscle... Why do I have to hate him again?

I'm looking to start pretty much the same diet. What are you eating to get those carbs and proteins? I'm a college student, so I can't exactly afford to eat steak 6 times a day, like some people here.

For protein, I mainly eat lean chicken breasts. But, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative you can buy the canned chicken breast, or tuna. Also, whey protein probably adds 60gs a day, and a slow release blend I take 20-40gs a day.

For carbs, I get a multi-grain cereal (Rye, Barley, Oats and wheat) from Trader Joe's ($1.50 for like 10 servings, where 3 servings is usually what I eat each morning)

Here's the link to it:

Also, I will eat 2-3 pieces of fruit a day (apples, oranges, grapefruit, etc), as well as 3-5 servings of vegetables. And, if your really want to get into it, almonds are very inexpensive for the amount of calories they hold, they also provide the good fat I listed, and a fair amount of carbs.

thanks, some of those may work.

Very good progress if that is the same person. How long did it take you from the 1st to the second stage?

No matter how fit and attractive your body looks, you can't fix when your head is ugly as sin...

The AFTER pic is scary ugly!
