MARIJUANA & GAINS Anonymous
Subject says all, will I be hurting my gains if I smoke at all? I've been eating clean for about half a year now and have only touched alcohol about twice since then and that was on cheat days

anyway I love what I'm doing and happy with my gains but I also am around alot of pot, will It slow down my gains or anything?

I know it wont help my lungs but I don't smoke 4-5 bowls or 10 blunts everyday and get ripped out of my mind, I just have a little bit to feel relaxed

IS THIS OK
>> Anonymous
sounds like it would just make you eat more, good for bulking
>> Anonymous
Marijuana helps you gain fatty muscle. Most people smoking Marijuana during gains wont gain any lean muscle.

I don't know if you are trolling but you should hold that anti-pot tongue of yours and quit sassing me you faggot

I smoke to help with my chronic pain, I'd rather do something natural like smoke a herb from the ground than get doped out on painkillers and become zombie, or an addict

But this is not the place for such a stupid argument about pot, I just want to know if it will hurt my gains when it comes to fat loss or muscle gains
>> Anonymous
>>426647

No, it's not going to hurt shit, other than increasing appetites to superhuman levels, which can be good or bad depending on your exercise routine.

actually like 12 states gives medical marijuana to people with chronic pain like the OP

he could have it legally(ish) or whatever the law is on it
>> Anonymous
>>426712

yea? so is driving over the speed limit, with no insurance, embezzlement, theft of property, battery, murder

You talk as if it's okay to do something illegal because it's easier to do than the correct thing and not that harmful. Again, give all the excuses you want on how what you're doing is not that bad, I'm sure it will stand up in court when you get to tell a judge that.

But I'm telling you this as if I even gave a shit about you. Seriously I could care less. Your conscience will do you in, I don't even need to play a part for that to happen.

oh noes a loophole. Still illegal on the federal level. That means it's illegal. ILLEGAL. It's so fucking obvious that it's wrong I'm surprised you guys can't even see that. Oh wait, you're smoking pot. Ah, okay, now it all makes sense.

lol at the anti-smoking people... that's a good laugh. ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL. Jeez...

OP, you are what you are, and how you deal with the substance is how it will effect you. There are things you can do to help avoid the negative side (like smoking from a bong), but there will be some side effects. I believe most you can work around (munchies, which doesn't effect everyone), but you can't work around inhaling something that irritates your body (smoke). A vaporizer would eliminate this problem, but I doubt you're a serious enough smoker to warrant purchasing one. Ultimately, it's up to you. People shouldn't change from imbibing substances... while they may change their perception of the world in the time they are altered, they shouldn't change the baser parts of their personality because of a drug. Make a choice on who you are and how you want to be, determine how important the irritation and problems from inhaling smoke is to you, and then go with whatever fits your lifestyle best. Look for indicas/headies/or head highs. Put your effort into everything still. If you find yourself losing strength, endurance, or any other things that bother you, then quit.

I'm not against pot-smoking, I'm against something illegal and inherently wrong. And you are telling someone how they can avoid some effects of doing something illegal. Looks like someone just lost the game.

>> Anonymous

Now I know you're a troll. 7/10.
>> Anonymous
>>426780

According to you the only argument for not smoking marijuana is because it is illegal therefore it is inherently wrong.

If it were legal it would no longer be inherently wrong.

Therefore "inherently wrong" is not a trait of smoking marijuana, as it is not wrong in it and of itself but only because the law states it is wrong.

It might be inherently wrong to break the law, which alone is a stupid statement that puts full trust into the government.

You know that hesitation that you usually get before you do something wrong?

It doesn't put trust into the government, it means you abide by the laws as best you can.
>> Anonymous
>>426798

Laws are made by the government.
>> Anonymous
>>426800

I don't put "trust" into laws, that they will somehow keep me safe or some bullshit. There are some really stupid laws out there, that's pretty obvious. But to say that a law-abiding citizen puts full trust into the government is stupid.

ITT: high grade moralfag trolls try to impose some bizarre equality of righteousness on everything labeled 'illegal' in their backwater village.

Get caught with some pot in texas? AUTOMATIC JAILTIME you villanous scum.
Get caught with some pot in california? oh no AUTOMATIC MISDEMEANOR AND SMALL FINE, be on your way citizen.
Get caught with some pot in amsterdam cafe? AUTOMATIC enjoy smoking with the constable and give him a hug.

Get your stick out of your repressed ass, you'll feel much better. Lifting and smoking is awesome.
>> Anonymous
>>427716

so, you do realize that in some places it's illegal and some others it's not? great job! It's still fucking illegal in most places. Until it's legalized/decriminalized, it's still fucking illegal. It's not that hard to understand.
>> Anonymous
>>427746

it should be obvious, but I'm feeling just so nice today so I'll humor your retardation for just one moment.

the discussion was in fact that act x is intrinsically wrong because it's illegal.

I just showed that legality cannot not intrinsically make something right or wrong, because governments cannot even agree on whether act x should be illegal or not in the first place, not to mention the severity of consequences. If governments cannot agree on what is right or wrong, then your government is not always right about law x.

you just continue to stammer that it's still illegal where you live and across all the land you survey, and cannot fathom to disagree with the authoritarian decrees of your overlord government.

marijuana use, especially prior to bedtime, decreases REM cycle intensity and length. REM sleep is very important for recovery. Occasional use is fine, but daily use will affect REM sleep and thus hormone levels. How often do you smoke?
>> Anonymous
>>427757

so what who the fuck cares if it's legal in some shithole like Amsterdam? You are still trying to prove a point - that it's not that bad. You are justifying it's bad by pointing out that it is not legal in certain areas, while okay - you are correct(no shit), it's still fucking illegal elsewhere.

If Germany started saying it's okay to shoot people in the head, I'm betting you would argue on how it's not that bad to shoot people in the arm sometimes, when you're missing the big picture - the fucker is carrying a gun in the first place.
>> Anonymous
>>428119
I know this is a fact and all but, so many people say pot makes them sleep better, longer, and feel more refreshed

how is that if the REM cycle is not as long as it should be

It causes a dramatic melatonin release which is why people often feel tired or choose to use it for insomnia. However, despite inducing sleep, it decreases the benefits of REM which is the deepest stage of sleep and responsible for rest and recovery. Marijuana is a terrible sleep aid when used on a regular basis
>> Anonymous
>>428154
thats like saying alcohol is great for sleeping. FFFFFFFFFFFF
>> Anonymous
Amsterfag here, I lift 3 times a week and smoke occasionally and it's fine. No problems with sleep, gains, morals, authorities, friends (even those that don't smoke, believe it or not). I do have problems, but none are drug related.

Try to follow the law so less people get affected by your dumbassery.

Yet it is arbitrarily deemed illegal when it is no worse then a lot of the shit which is considered legal in your country.

So apart from distrupting my REM sleep and being illegal, how else does weed interact with muscle development.

How about if I just ate weed brownies/cookies? Totally different type of buzz, a body buzz so would it perhaps relax the muscles and enable repair?
