I think there's something wrong with my metabolism.

i eat tons of junk everyday (mcdonalds + chocolate/candy + lots of fried shit etc) and i'm always, at any moment of the day, eating something, but it's nearly impossible for me to gain weight.

i've finished highschool (my weight was 57kg then) and i've been basically sitting at home doing nothing, never going out except to the grocery store, for the last 7 months. i checked my weight today. it was 62kg. i'm 1,77 mts. tall.

obviously my diet is wrong. what do i need to eat to gain weight?

pic related, that's how i look. except that the area around my belly button looks sort of swollen. like i just ate one of those bowling balls or something. by gaining more weight i could even it out.

Just wait until you are 21, then you'll start gaining weight.

I agree. I was like you too.

Just give it a couple more years for your adult metabolism to show itself... You won't be so eager then, trust me.

im using an old computer and there's no slot where to put the camera's memory chip, and i don't have a webcam. no pics. just look at the guy in the holocaust photo, it looks exactly like me except that's it's kind difficult to see my ribs, only a hint of the lower one

Lift heavy free weights, concentrating on compound exercises. Bench presses, squats and deadlifts at 5x5 (five sets of five reps) should be the base of your routine. Also, count how many calories you're eating a day. If it's not at least 4000, then you really aren't eating that much. When you're eating 5000+ a day and still not gaining weight THEN you have a problem.

A good tip in taking a massive amount of good healthy calories is the protein shake.

2 scoops of protein powder
16 oz whole milk
Bunch of ice cubes
4 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 cups natural oatmeal
1 banana

Blend and enjoy! Comes out to about 1450 calories total. Drink a few of those a day and see what happens. If you don't gain weight downing those every few hours then you're a genetic freak.

not quite.
i, like the op, cannot gain weight to save my ass.
i'm 27 years old and weigh only 130lbs at 5'10".
the most i have ever weighed was 140lbs and that was immediately after boot camp.
for the record, before boot i weighed 118.

like op, i can eat whatever i want and gain no weight. unlike op, i try to abstain from junkier foods unless at work or in a place where eating something like, say... a tuna sandwich would be unfeasible.

however, i noted the food and excercise pattern of my days in boot, and think that if i could replicate those conditions, i might be able to put on some more weight. the problem lies in that, here in the civilian sector, i get to work 40+ hours a week, try to fit in some classes, and that leaves very little or no time to actually concentrate on bulking up.
