Supposedly it takes approximately 6 hours for any one meal to be completely digested (esophagus to anus) and excreted. Using this as a guideline, and eating meals that are smaller than say a "normal meal" (approx. 666 calories based on a 3-meal-a-day scheme) and eating meals that are half of this (333 calories based on a 6-meal-a-day scheme) you could by chance cut the digestion rate by around 1/2 or 3/5 of the normal time. Given this new rate of having fully digested food in around 3 hours (you won't be shitting every 3 hours mind you) you probably want to eat every 2 hours. This will ensure that you always have food being digested; this is a key factor in raising the metabolism. If you are really pumped about knocking up your metab. go to bodybuilding.com and grab a cheap thermogenic fat burner. They work well in concert with a 6-meal a day diet because your supposed to take like 4-6 every day with food.
