It's the Ides of March and keeping with my father's tradition of quitting drinking then smoking on this day my folks decided to get fit. I'm happy about their decision to get off their ass but the problem is my mom. She has multiple sclerosis and she can't do normal light exercizes. She says the MS is the reason she can't walk well but I suspect it's partly the extra 70lbs she's carrying. Anyone has experience or tips helping a disabled person lose weight?

Not much experience here, except I've worked with my disabled aunt as a child (weight problems & diabetes)and a doctor recommended cutting down on calories and at first trying some low impact exercises, like swimming, beginners yoga, or beginners pilates and work on up from there.

Cutting back on calories + ANYTHING that gets them moving = progress!
