hey /fit/ I'm sure you get this a lot, but I fucking need help, I'm not morbidly obese, I'm just a bit overweight, and I want to get skinny, well I want to drop about 20-30 pounds, I try eating healthy, but every so often I'm like I deserve this shitty KFC, or A&W, and that never helps, I also drink an energy drink everyday, and I have pop somewhat often, I try to drink more water however, and I try to eat healthy, my only problem is I work in a mall, and EVERYDAY I'm face with "foodcourt" food, which is all terrible fast food, and when I'm hungry I'll ussually go buy some shit from there. Also as a kid I was forced to eat everything on my plate before I was done, now I can't finish eating till I'm done all that's on my plate, or I feel bad, it's fucking annoying

Anyways my first question is, what are some good ways to have some fucking self control? because I always go and think, ahh this won't be anything bad, then after I'm done eating the guilt kicks in...just what are some methods you use to stop from eating shit

are there any good weightloss pills out there? I know it's the lazy way out, but I'm not really looking for muscle at the moment, and I just want to drop some pounds as fast as possible

what are some good exercises one can do to drop weight relatively fast?

You yourself are calling it shit so why the fuck are you eating it? For a month stop drinking energy drinks/soda and eating fast food, and eat little but often. After a month you will have no desire to eat fast food at all because you will realize how shitty it makes you feel, and hopefully you will get results that will motivate you to lose the rest of the lbs. Do cardio like swimming and running.

Nobody can help you gain self control man, it's something you gotta learn yourself.

That said, you need to look at the "bad" things that are making you fat/unhappy, and fix those first.

Foodcourt food?
-Get a different job or make a sandwich the night before.

You want to eat all the time because your stomach's gotten used to eating a lot. This could be a good thing because if you eat healthily (which is really not that hard) and exercise, all that lovely protein will morph into muscle, and you'll feel a lot better too without that damn mayo-fast-food-gunk slowing you down.

Anyway, fuck weightloss pills. If it helps, they're not going to do shit. If they do work, the effects will be minimal, and you'll still be "unhealthy", won't you? Go for jogs/runs round your local park. Fuck spectators. Cycle/walk to college/work. To lose the flab, the easiest and best way would be to run it off. It will help your heart, your lungs, and it will have a positive effect on you.

Try this for starters:
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (or even every day if you want) go run one mile or one kilometre. Realise that any "pain" or "ache" is good for you (tell yourself: "damn that feels good" - because it does).

Do this for about a week or two, then try run a little more each day. Only three rules to remember:
1) Eating/drinking: Leave an hour before AND after going for a run, before you eat/drink something.
2) Drink decent amounts of water. Chances are you're gonna sweat.
3) Cut out all crappy junk food. If you really like your food (I know I do) then get a cookery book & start cooking some proper, delicious food. Your tastebuds (and chicks) will love you for it.

This should be a good starting point. Look at it this way: Now, you're making excuses for something you want to do with yourself. How crazy is that? One day with a little exercise is better than one day without any at all. =)

can't stop with the energy drinks

did that for a month and almost got fired, I would go for a new job, but the one I have is great pay, and full time, which is a rarity in my city

>>328148
I just tried biking to work today, it takes me an hour seeing as I live on the other side of town from my job

I'm going to start running 3 times a week, are energy drinks very detrimental to my health? Because I work with people a lot, and I'm normally a bitter person, but when drinking them I am nicer to people, so if I could leave them in without much harm that would be the best, or would tea be better for me? and is there any tea that I can drink that will have the same effects?

Where I'm running is around a lake, it's about 5.6km should I do that and run/walk for set amounts of time? or would it be better to go for a 1km run first?

TY for all the help guys

OP Grow a pair. I have 50 lbs to lose, and instead of "Easing into it" like you and so many other fuckers seem to do, I changed my LIFE I go to bed at eight, wake up at four, jump rope, make all my own food, count all my calories, lift weights until I simply can't any more, then get back on it as soon as the soreness is tolerable. and when I DO indulge, guess what? I work it off! You make me sick, your goals are even easier to obtain than mine, and how do you go about them? an energy drink a day and you treat that greasy FILTH like a "treat"
If you want results, WORK. No pill will fix your problem, no shortcut will help you, and no greasy bullshit is a treat.
Either man the fuck up and handle your problem, or cower in fear of self discipline.

yeah, but water doesn't wake me up, you see when I drink energy drinks I am awake and able to function around people

when I stopped drinking them, I was almost fired, water does not have the same effect, and I asked if there is anything I can replace them with that ACTUALLY WORKS

Every time I got hungry for the usual jack in the box mcdonalds crap, I would drink a full glass of water and wait 15 minutes.

I lost 30 pounds, 250 to 220.

That's all I fucking did.
