hey are there any other benefits for sweating (i.e in the sauna or extensive cardio) other than regulating body temperature and cleaning pores?

On another note I just started excercising my cardio in the morning today and felt like throwing up halfway through.I only could do 1hour of cardio because of that. I had a granola bar, a banana, milk before going. I was keeping myself hydrated with gatorade too.

People's digestive system differs. I know that from experience, I need at least 3 hours of digestion before I go on a run or I feel like I need to shit the shitter after a few miles. Test your body and adjust. Eat something like a banana 30 minutes before the run if you need the extra energy, as well as water all day. Gatorade is useless unless you're sweating buckets.

extensive cardio makes your metabolism work, and after that it needs to excrete urea (among other things), which is excreted in both urine and sweat.

Sauna sweating does nothing of the sort, as your metabolism isn't working much, except to regulate your body temperature. This is done by simply "sweating" water (not really the same thing as in cardio). You're mainly losing body water.

Not sweating during extensive cardio (hard to really achieve) will result in your body keeping minerals and urea that "should" be getting out. Your urine will probably be more yellow. Urea is toxic and needs to be let out.

Sweating in a sauna is kind of a bad thing as your body is letting out water that it should be having, might provoke several unwanted effects, like Gout. This would also be an effect of not excreting urea.

Just sweat naturally, do cardio.

Not when you're an endurance athlete like me and you need carbs in the middle of your long run for the week.

i used to get yelled at by my coach when i would eat pretzels right before and during work outs.

They never gave me any issues and helped me do something during our 3 hour swim work outs.

I also drank juice, but not alot, just to quench my throat.

I dunno, lol. i never had any issues. Also when i do cardio i tend to use the bike machines and set it to target heart rate. I set it to 175-180, i'll go for about 1/2 an hour, i'd do more if i had the time. Only issue is around the 1/2 hour mark i run out of water :/, and i dont want to carry a big ass waterbottle around, but i think thats what i'm going to do.

p.s. dont eat heavy things before a work out, like milk is a fucking bad idea. things with simple sugars are fine, but milk has complex ameno acids and shit and is hard to break down. so apples and fruit and simple breads are fine for work outs, but milk / meat / food with complex sugars and ameno acids = bad idea.
