I'm thinking about running the portland marathon on oct 5. I'm in decent shape now, and can probably run 5-6 miles at a decent pace. i don't think i'll have gym access over the summer, so am just thinking about running my ass off, and having a marathon be my goal.

So, is this enough time to get into good enough shape to run a full marathon? I don't expect to have an awesome time etc, but just to finish with a semi-respectable time, and just to finish really.

pic completely unrelated of course

yiff in hell furfag.

also, yes this is enough time to get in shape, to the extent that you'll finish at a decent position, providing of course that you stay dedicated to it.

start a training log and document the days you dont run, the days you do, and for how long/how far/how fast. that way you'll know you're pushing your self hard enough and are giving your body sufficient rest.

all anon's agree that this is enough time?

i really can't understand why googling is so hard.

"marathon training"

better yet, don't bother. quit now. if you're too lazy to google for a specific task that has been talked about and thoroughly researched for more than 30 years, you're too lazy to accomplish the task of actually training for and completing a marathon.
