why

Because you need heavy weights for building muscle. If you can do over 10 reps it isnt heavy enough, leaving you with a worthless home gym unless you can buy extra plates. Its a great thing to start out with until you really build up some muscle though.

How much did it cost?

Its alright
just use the rack and the bench, if you can disconnect it.
do pullups and chins for back, benching, deadlifts, and use the rack to squat from

I don't want to look like arnold, but like the guy in this pic, isn't this machine enough for that goal?

where the fuck is the squat rack?

If you are on a proper diet, I guess yes.

Can I do it without getting the paki-boy face complete with the gay toothy pout?

Free weight lifting beats the fucking shit out of machines.

NO SQUATZ. YOU WONT EVEN EXERCISE WITHOUT SQUATZ. SQUATZ, GET THEM.
>> Anonymous
Yeah you're gonna need to be able to do squats. Get a squat rack otherwise you'll look like some sort of white whale walking on tiny legs.

good god. SKWATZ is getting a bit ridiculous. squats will help more than any other single exercise, but they're not a magic cure-all.

for a home gym, provided it's made of solid materials and the pulleys move freely, that's looks like a good starting place. i don't know the brand at all but if it's not shaking while you work out on it and supports those weights, its decent.

take the bar off the bench and you can do deadlifts, curls, upright rows, bent rows, military press, etc.

newfags bastardized a good thing by turning an effective exercise into a forced fucking meme.

well it helped me cause hearing SQUATZ everywhere led me to start doing them. I know I'm a fucking idiot for not doing them before >_>
