i had a good interval on heavy bag

10 hits (5 punches 5 kicks)
1 Deadhang Pull up
15 hits (10 punches 5 kicks)
2 Ring Pull Ups
20 Hits (10 Punches 10 Kicks)
3 Ring Dips

repeat and reverse reps so next would be
20 Hits (10 punches 10 kicks)
3 Deadhang Pull Ups
15 Hits (10 Punches 5 kicks)
2 Ring Pull Ups
10 Hits (5 Punches 5 Kicks)
1 Ring Dip

do this until you cannot complete the reps, and then put the reps at one until you cannot complete the reps and then take the pull ups and dips out then go until you pass out

If using gloves, be sure to get bag gloves .They're a bit heavier. Makes your arm feel like lead after a good workout.

learn to properly wrap your hands with some mexican-style boxing wraps (no joke--thats what they're called), and get some 18 oz. leather boxing gloves. The gloves will make your shoulders stronger, and your hands not hurt. The wraps (and gloves) will keep you from fuckin your wrists up--something that is REALLY easy to do if you don't punch correctly.

use gloves, i didn't use gloves and i pretty much ripped all the skin off my knuckles in like 5 minutes hitting. didn't heal for ~2 weeks. everytime i made a fist blood poured from my knuckles, it's not fun

Fail. You don't use 18 oz gloves, especially not on a bag, hell you don't even use them sparring unless you're heavyweight. Bag gloves are scarcely bigger than 14 oz's....

These are the drills I use when I do heavy bag work. They are pretty standard mitt drills and I usually just go through them 1-14 then odd numbers then even numbers. If my arms aren't sacks of sand yet I do the fibonacci numbers (1,1,2,3,5,8).

Definitely use bag gloves. The "no gloves" fags have clearly never spent a half hour wailing on a heavy bag.
