Why 12 reps? Just curious. Are you training for strength or endurance? I would think that if yo want general fitness somewhere around 8-9 would make more sense. Again, just curious.

Strength is my main aim. I just believe that the ideal range for reps at supplementary excerises is 12.

I have a routine but i change it up a bit every week.
first week will be general body region lifts and ends with 20 intervals on the elliptical
second week i do circuit training focusing on usually 2 muscle groupings
third week is kinda cracked out i focus on the areas that need improvement (chest for me) and do high rep 30sec rest sets of five interspersed by 3 min cooldown/sprinting on whatever running machine is open.

i usually like to keep em all simple maybe 5-6 different exercises, i'd go into em but i;m not a real afficionado and will get all the names wrong.

I don't have a full gym or access to one so right now I do

3X5 for all the main muscle groups using a straight bar and walmart weight. I'd go into detail of the excercise but it's pretty ghetto right now so Ill get back to you when I have access to a real gym ;)

every week day morning:
warm up for ten minutes
twenty press ups
twenty sit ups
twenty tricep dips
twenty dorsal raises
twenty squats while spinning my outstretchted arms in small circles
ten minute warm down

i do fifty of each on the weekends


i don't know anything about health, somebody tell me if i am going to cause myself damage

Well, first you should get access on a gym, second what the hell are squats where you spin your arms and why would you do them unless you want to look funny, and third no you won't cause body damage. In fact, you should keep doing it, it's better than doing nothing.

And as i'm good guy, here is the original westside routine. Go to a gym, do it.
