I was thinking about trying to do random exercises meant for the abs and ass every few hours, but I'm not sure how productive that sort of thing is.

Basically trying out doing something like 50 squats and 50 leg thrusts, and then an hour later doing 50 crunches. Then back to squats and such a couple hours later.

Is this just kinda retarded?

Depends. What do you want super powered ab and ass muscles for?

I have a nasty looking belly and thighs from having lost a lot of weight and having some saggy skin along with a bit of fat that's left. I would think working on my ass and abs a bit would help give a bit more shape to them to make up for the somewhat saggy skin that's left.

With a little work you could do all three exercises back to back in less than ten minutes.

My thinking was that by doing it in bursts throughout the day I'd be able to help with keeping my metabolism up to help with burning more fat possibly.

The idea's interesting (nothing I've read tells me it's a bad one.) All I'm saying is that you could be setting your sights too low on the intensity and volume you could be doing.
