Stomach Problems Anonymous
Hey /fit/. I'm an adult anon who suffers from stomach problems. The doctors have done so many tests but everything about me is healthy. Yet I still suffer from constant nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea and heartburn.

They said it's probably just IBS, but I feel it's something more. Meanwhile I can't work a job, I had to drop out of school and I stay home all the time.

Anybody else suffer from stomach problems? How do you handle them? What are the best things to eat? Is there any sort of assistance I can get here?

I had this done to me my doctors at the time said I had so and so but I thought they were wrong. I went to more doctors turns out I was correct. If you got a gut feeling that it's something more go see more doctors.

I eat clean and take heroin/any other decent opiates I can get my hands on.

I had to cut out tons of food from my diet. No pizza, orange juice (or really any fruit juice), tomatoes, tomato sauce, peppers, Mexican food, etc. Sucks...and I'm still not better...I feel for you, OP.

I have IBS. I can usually lead a relatively normal life, its just that I can't go out often. Everytime I leave the home to a place that I have never been to, I start to become anxious, because I don't know where any of the bathrooms are. The anxiety stirs up my stomach, then I instantly get the shits, just from going out.

I also get the shits after every meal when I go out to eat, which is also fucking annoying since its difficult just to get out for a dinner with friends or family.

Basically, I just try to stay away from anything that I know for sure will give me the shits right off the bat such as instant noodles, and insanely greasy foods. I drink fuckloads of water/milk/juice. Aside from just eating right and drinking alot, I just don't go out often so I don't have to deal with my IBS.

I got tested for that and tried a gluten-free diet for a month. Nothing. :(

My mom has suffered from stomach ache for all of her life (she's +55 now), and medics could not figure out what was wrong with her. 2 years ago she went to another medic (one of god knows how many) with her medical history, and the medic decided to discard it and start from the beginning with all the basic tests he knew. Turns out, all this time my mother was a coeliac, which is actually somewhat common. She cut all things with gluten in them (mostly anything done with wheat) and the stomach ache went away; a new feeling she hadn't ever experienced.

Moral of the story: medics aren't always right, so keep looking for one. Look for eating intolerances (gluten, lactose...) and test is you may have one. Also, make sure that the stomach ache is not a symptom of a disease elsewhere.

did they check your gall bladder? I had mine out a few years ago....fixed everything up....can't hardly feel any pain anymore since that shit hurt so much for so many years but you know whatever......

Fructose or lactose intolerance?
Crohn's disease, colitis ulcerosa?

I had IBS. I went to some doctor that gave me shots in different areas in my belly a couple of times a week for a few months. The shots contained some homeopathic shit I'm not really sure. But hey, it worked like magic. I used to get the shits like 4 times in a row in the morning and I'd be late for work because of it now it doesn't happen anymore daily. I do get the shits like once a month or two when something really stressful happens but it's not daily and I feel so much better.

What could be causing bad constipation (breaking up into solid round balls) on and off for a few months?

Try salba (salvia hispanica), it's supposed to be great for your bowels. I worked with a woman who had really bad IBS and she took salba everyday and it reduced the symptoms significantly.

And if your doctors tell you it's IBS, it's almost certainly IBS. Regardless of what you "feel" it should be. Dumbass.

They did an ultrasound on my abdomen and said everything looked okay.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.
Actually...what is the test for fructose intolerance? Maybe I didn't take it.

No to gluten/celiac. They did the official test on me AND I did the removal diet. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try again.
H. Pylori was the first thing they checked- and I don't have it in my system.

Get a full battery of allergy tests done, if you haven't already.

I was just like you until I found out I was allergic to eggs. Eggs are in fucking everything.

Dear OP, i have had the exact same symptoms as you since i was a very little kid. My doctor also says its IBS, and i have self-diagnosed myself with it thru reading different material on the syndrome.

I had to keep a log of all the food i ate for a month, and write down the time and day when i got sick. This helped my deduce what foods were making me sick/causing me trouble.

There is a drug that the doctor prescribed called Hyoscyamine. What it does is basically helps calm the bowel spasm when you get a diarrhea episode or attack. Have you tried this?

have you been checked for colon cancer?

i have a lot of stomach issues too and i can really do is eat tons of Tums everyday and only drink water as a beverage. for food i cant even think of what wouldnt cause any problems.

I'm pretty sure I tried that. I didn't notice a difference. The best thing I have found that works is taking 3 Immodium before a night out, along with 2 Gas-X and 2 Pepcid. Blocks me up okay. It's probably not healthy but it's the only way I can have 1 night of being social every 2 weeks.

Too many tums are bad for your digestive track. Enjoy your shitty stomach.
