Arm Injury Anonymous
I'm bemused as to what's wrong. Basically my left arm a year or two back had a bad pain in the wrist when I started to pull something tightly, usually shoelaces or a tie on my pants. A while after the pain radiated through my whole arm, and oddly, seems to be present in my left ear too.

At first i thought it was Carpal Tunnel, then I was told it was Tendonitis, then it was suggested it was Tennis elbow, then Carpal Tunnel again, now I think it's probably a pinched or trapped nerve but not CTS.

I was given various stretches to do, but none of them worked. However some experimentation, and some of them do temporarily relieve stress and restore strength(for the most part my muscle/tendon strength seems unaffected, my fingers just feel a little more stiff which is as I said rectified temporarily with some stretches).

It's probably a lot to do with my posture. I'd say it's likely the nerve could be trapped in my shoulder as I had an over shoulder laptop bag I used to cram shit in, and the wrist could be another problem.

ANy ideas? Anyone else had mysterious arm pain? It's not a mild pain by any means, I get shocks of pain through my wrists, bad wrist pain, and my arm feels very compressed and painful when it's in any way pressed against a surface.

I thought that album was awful.

I'll give a non-typical /b/ answer. There is a good chance it is a result of a problem in your shoulder. A shoulder injury has caused my right hand and wrist to become numb at time and suffer excruciating pain when not. Unfortunately, I've been told by my doctors that the only way to solve it is having my shoulder joint rebuilt. It can be genetic, or it can be caused by various forms of sports trauma.

Yeah, sounds like a trapped nerve. In some cases, there's not much you can do except hope the nerve sort of dies a bit. In others it gets better with time or with the right excercises/medication/surgery(not recommended).
