Dear /fit/,
Thank you for motivating me to join a gym. After lurking around on /b/ for a couple of years I got bored of the same old shit every day that pops up there and decided to see what else 4chan had on offer. I came across /fit/ and have spent the last few months lurking here on and off.

I've decided to get fit, tone up and generally live a more healthy and happy lifestyle. I had my assessment on Saturday where some hot personal trainer showed me how shit works and sorted me out with a weights routine. I stayed after the session finished and excitedly ran around all the different cardio machines sweating like a beast. I loved it.

I went again today (Monday, I'm an ausfag) and again felt amazing after the session.

So yeah, thanks /fit/! :)

Before I go, the hot bitch said to eat tuna or any other source of protein after a workout. I've forgotten how long after a workout she said to take it and how long before the workout as well, so any advice there would be great.

whey protein shake as fast as possible post workout and a protein rich meal within 90m of workout

like he said as as possible after a workout. protein should be with every meal as the majority of your calories should come from protein.

it takes 2-3 hours to digest your meals so don't eat heavy before a workout. you can eat fruits however because fructose gets absorbed very quickly.

Not the OP, but suggestions on a particular whey protein brand?
I have some whey protein I got like a year ago and totally forgot about, how long does that shit last? I don't see an expiration date.

If you had actually been lurking fit on and off for less than a week you would know why you deserve this ineffective sage.
