When I get home from work everyday, I'm so tired that I can't move from the couch. I collapse there and stay until I go to bed. I can barely go up to pee or eat. And all I have is a desk job. Its not like I do anything strenuous. I sleep enough. What should I do to gain some of my energy back at 3 PM until I go to bed? What should I eat?

First we require answers to these questions:
1) How old are you? How tall are you? How much do you weigh?
2) What is your typical breakfast like? Lunch? Dinner? Snacks?
3) How high is your stress level?
4) DO you do ANY form of exercise? What do you do?

not OP but i have similar problem and would also like solution for some goddamn energy. i'm always tired...

1) 19. 5'5. 145lbs. don't know body fat% but i do have a belly on me.

2) breakfast: eggs, oatz, toast, fruit, black coffee (not all of course, combinations)
lunch: tv dinners, sandwiches, fruit, sadly mostly junk
dinner: steak or chicken or pork or fish, grilled, with vegetables
snacks: yogurt, granola bars, chips, fruit, junk food :(

(i currently have no control over my diet btw, but i do know that it's horrible and i will change it once i move out)

3) stress level is very low. only high when a calculus 3 test is coming up, etc. nothing serious though.

4) i ride my bicycle for about 5 miles 30 minutes everyday. sometimes i play tennis for about an hour, every other day. i try to LIFT everyday, but usually end up lifting only 2-3 times a week (full body).

i get an average of 6 hours of sleep per night on school nights and 8-9 on non-school nights.

I am female. 5'8" and 150.

My breakfast is one banana, toast with peanut butter, and orange juice. I also take two Concertas (basically Ritalin). Lunch is water with a ham sandwich and grapes, dinner is whatevers lying around the house or fast food. I drink about ten glasses of water a day.

My stress level is low to moderate.

I would exercise, but I'm so tired when I come home, its overpowering.

Also, Ive been tested for thyroid and heart problems and I'm clean.

this one is an obvious problem, but since you can't change it...

>fast food
seriously don't

>ten glasses of water a day
that's wayy too much water. only drink how much you need. your not exercising so you really don't need much. you probably keep hearing that you need 8 glasses a day, but that's just a marketing ploy.

You need to exercise. That is the reason. trust me. try it for a week. Just run a mile a day for a week and tell us how you feel.

Probably because you don't eat enough.

I went through a phase like this once, and sometimes I still take a short nap after work. I was working out regularly as well. What worked for me was increasing my water intake... I realized I wasn't getting any. For some reason I felt super energized after downing about a gallon. Why it worked I don't know, but I'm convinced hydration was the issue.

excersise whenever is convenient for you. It doesnt matter. to make it fun, sign up at a boxing gym or something. I go to LA boxing. google it to see if they have a location near you. theyre really cheap and generally fucking awesome.

btw, you have to eat well too. THERE IS NO POINT IN EXCERCISING if you arent eating right!!! remember that. go google for an appropriate diet im not writing an essay here.

Lots of people do that. I do that. It's really not all that hard. Don't make yourself out to be so special.

I go to school full time and work full time. Thats why Im so tired, and Im too tired for the gym. Im sure if I worked in a warehouse like some loser I'd have more energy, though.

I was going to do that for you but you didn't give age. Do that, then apply harris benedict equation. You need to get that many calories in a day to fuel yourself.

Damn, Hugh Jackman is a stud. I'm gonna have to go watch X2 again.

Also, ITT let's have a pointless and irrelevant contest to see who works the hardest on an ANONYMOUS BOARD. That's real helpful.

you eat shit! your diet is the standard issue skinny-fat female cosmo-whore diet eaten by stupid girls that don't want to get fat and acheive it by eating more carbohydrates than anything else. well done, you're an idiot.

as an aside there is a female analyst on tv at the moment and i want to have anal sex with her.

this thread is now about shemale porn.

Diet seems fine to me, as long as she's exercising regularly enough so that all those carbs don't go to waste (i.e. fat). Otherwise it seems pretty well-balanced, certainly by today's American's standards.
