Working out twice a day? Anonymous
I have never done it. Always once. But I have a ton of free time now that my job has cut hours in half.

Any suggestions? comments? Splits?

it is a 'best case scenario' for anything related to health+performance+body comp.

if you have the time (laid off, living off mom and dad's welfare, etc)
2 a days are the most dominating win. Note, Olympic athletes utilize AT LEAST 2 a days in their trainings.

keep the bouts short and fresh. Snatchs, skill/technique work, and jumps in the AM, Squats and heavy pulls/rep work in PM

i wouldn't suggest 2 workouts a day to anyone on this board, mostly due to the fact that they don't know shit about nutrition and they probably aren't /fit/ enough to handle it

unless you break up one big workout into 2 parts, you're just going to burn out in 8-15 days

yep, likely very true

but even as you said, breaking up the day's daily session into a skill and rep portion, even if total work remains the same, the 2 a day will result in better performance AND higher metabolism -->greater fat burning as well as more of the 'fun hormones'

if anon actually wants to know WHAT overtraining is (as opposed to just pretending you have it and slacking...) google the bulgarian OL team's masters of sport training schedule.
do it

also, Coach Davies has a '16 squat sessions in 1 week' protool. personal experience says that it too is quite 'exciting'.
