Hey /fit/, how do you do your HIIT and what intervals do you have?

Personally I just run at the oval, 12 reps of about 20 secs of sprinting with 45 sec break in between, then a ~2 minute break every 3 sprints.

Also, how effective have you found your routine to be?

Skipping for 2 minutes, then full speed for 15 secs. after that I'll go for interval of 30 secs skipping, 30 secs full speed for about 10 minutes, then i'll go for 1 min skipping followed by 30 secs full speed.

I'll finish with 2 minutes at full speed, it does the trick.

I pick an interval distance of the distance between 4 lamp posts to sprint, then the distance between 2 lamp posts to run/jog, rinse repeat for a mile.

In the past week I have done no cardio and have eaten 3 meals a day + snacks and have lost 25 pounds. Enjoy your HIIT

HIIT on a braked elliptical

'sprint' for 50 secs, followed by slow 'walk' for 70 secs...repeat 7 times

tried tabata the other day...20 secs 'sprint' followed by 10 secs slow 'walk' x 8 in a row...was coughing up a lung for an hour afterwards...made my next normal HIIT session feel like a walk in the park, though

is that really pushing you? seems like you're resting too much, and you're not supposed to take 'breaks' during HIIT anyways, that defeats the purpose.

HIIT on a treadmill.
warm up walk, then sprinting (like 7.2 mph. .. I'm very short so that's sprinting for me.) for 30 seconds, then 3.0 mph for 90 seconds, x6
I just started doing HIIT so I'm slowly going to decrease the rest time in upcoming weeks.

1 min normal speed
(20 sec max speed 40 sec normal speed)x3 (you'll BLAST OFF here)
5 min cooldown

Hmmm, I am not sure, but it is a concern. How tired should you be after a session of HIIT? I'm always pretty tired after it, but I'm not sure what the best routine would be.

Almost dead tired. On verge of throwing up I suppose.

I've been like that once, after my first time of HIIT. Do you have any reccomendation as to how I could push myself harder and achieve this?

sorry about the cruise control, i've just been wondering what an effective way to do HIIT on my road bike would be. (inb4 buy a trainer, spandexfags)

Interesting. Have you tried this with any results?
>> Anonymous
>>286465
Well, limited exposure to it made me want to die, so it works. Since you don't want to run I suggest this, hell buy a set of like 20lb dumbbells and you'd be set for doing it.

What do you think of the thrusters? I think I'm going to try those out. I'll probably replace 2 of my HIITs a month with tabata like the guy said.

It works, I'm not even working out right now except for a lot of walking, but I'm still not getting fat. While I do control what I eat, I still eat a lot.

It works. It just lets you feel like dying for the time you're doing it. But it works.

I'd just go with the thrusters if you're working out at home, and the squats can be a bit cumbersome imo when you're about to pass out and puke.
