Hey /fit/, fatass here. I'm about 5'9", 18, and in the area of 230 lbs (Its been awhile since my last check-up) I've never done any serious weight-loss regiment, but have reached a cross-roads in my life where I've decided to make a new man out of myself. What i want to know is what is a good way to start? Strict diet? Daily exercise routine? And on the diet note, is replacing meals with multivitamins a good idea?

Umm why would you want to replace meals with multivitamins?

Anyways, eat FOOD, real food. Don't drink sodas.
Have a workout schedule, it'll help you stick with it.

If you're going to replace a meal I would suggest something like EAS carb control protein drinks and definitely not popping a multivitamin. Doing that won't keep the hunger away. If you haven't been doing much then it won't take much to start seeing results. But to be honest you didn't post what you have available to work with, so i'll assume you have nothing. So, that being said, do a bodyweight circuit regimen. If you have weights, lemme know. A circuit is pretty much a bunch of exercises back to back with rest at the end (about 3 minutes or less) and repeated 2-3 times. In the beginning you can start with simple stuff like:

Pushups - 10
Jumping Jacks - 10 double count
Squats - 10
Mountain Climbers - 10 double count
Floor Leg Raises - 10 double count
Steam Engines - 10 double count
Back Extensions - 10
Side Raises - 5L 5R
Pushup Plank - Until Form shits out.

You can repeat this and when you become fatigued in an exercise (like pushups) you can modify it for your needs. Say you're toast on pushups, you can mix the squats and pushups together and do squat thrusts. You basically squat down, put your hands on the ground, kick feet back, pull feet back in, and stand up. If you're looking for an all-in-one kind simple workout you could simply do 8-count body builders. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-3nu8rR7_Q

She does a pushup with feet wide but I learned to bring your feet back in and then push (doesn't fucking matter). Anyways, then is just to get your heart going so you can struggle through some cardio later and get your metabolism going. On the side raises/crunches you need to keep your arm pinned to your side and slide it down as you bring your legs up (together). You will feel it more this way. When you're really fucking toast on the exercises just do planks or finish off maxing out with whatever you can do. Play some DDR, seen fat people get skinny doing this shit, some warioware, wii fit, who fucking cares, you need some inventive fun things to do to keep you moving. Try to begin aerobics as soon as possible. Don't think you need to complete a mile in one go if you can't, don't sabotage yourself by trying to get it all done in one attempt just do what you can and don't give up. It's about what you do overall; use the run-walk method (run til out of breath, walk, run til out of breath, walk, etc.) and get in as much as you can.

Cut out sodas completely (when you PT you will hate sodas and die for water). Take out all the simple carbs and snack foods. You can eat meat but try your best not to eat processed meat or fast foods because that's when meat becomes evil shit. Deli meat is good to go alone or with some whole wheat bread. You don't have to starve yourself in the beginning just keep making progress. If you feel the need to make a drastic change then by all means let that empower you but if it doesn't work don't get defeated. Good Luck.

Whoops. Sorry. If I want to, I can have access to an entire gym near where I live. It's only a matter of signing up. I just didn't know whether or not that was the best way to go at it.

Nice double trip. Anyways, just try out what I posted first and see if that floats your boat. I was thinking more of dumbbells at home or something in terms of owned equipment when I said that. You could always add overhead presses with awkward objects or heavy household available items.

Most fitness fags will tell you that OMG EXERCISE IS EVERYTHING, NO ONE CAN HOPE TO BE SLIM WITHOUT MOVING HIS BODY. But imho that's bullshit. Personally, I lost almost 40kg (that's over 80 pounds for you Amerifags) without lifting even a bloated pinky of mine.
Of course this isn't remotely as healthy as doing it with exercise but my reasoning is this:
Losing fat while gaining muscle is ineffective. The body is better at specializing on ONE of the two so it's less of a waste of time to first shed the jellyrolls and THEN start building up. Gaining muscle at an optimal rate requires a surplus of available energy while losing fat at acceptable rates obviously requires consuming as little energy as possible.

TLDR; Fuck exercise, start starving yourself (preferably with monotonous nutrition because the body can't turn that into energy as well)

gtfo. Stupid advice is fucking stupid.Starving yourself will only work if you never plan to eat enough again in your life. If you do eat anything, you body will make you fat all over in order to survive. Kill yourself you dumb anorexic faggot;

>Guess what, I lose FAT and gain MUSCLE at the same time.

I'm thinking that's due to the roids, incidentally also the most likely cause for your rather unwarranted rage.

@OP: See what I mean? If you do a little research you'll find out I'm right though. And even if not:
1) The only possible downside of dieting without exercise is that some muscle will go along with the fat. But seeing as you're a lazy fatass geek, there shouldn't be too much of it to lose in the first place.
2) Losing weight first WILL reduce the strain on your poor obesity-plagued joints in the eventually ensuing workouts.
