Okay, so I want to start strength training. I'm fairly skinny right now. I don't want to be xbawks hueg, but it's really discouraging how weak I am right now.

Anyways, what are exercises that you would recommend. I'd prefer to get a whole body workout, so I don't want to do abs if I don't have back exercises and I don't want to do bicep exercises if I don't have tricep exercises to do. What would /fit/ recommend? Also, should I go to the gym or can I achieve the same results with some free weights at home.
