I run 6 days a week. I couple HIIT with my weight lifting days, just prior, to get the blood flowing without too much a felt strain on my muscle. On the other days, I run 2 miles, as hard and full speed ahead as possible. Sometimes 3 miles if my lifting day sucked.
My weight lifting routine consists of 5x5 squats, 5x5 bench, 5x1 deadlifts, and 50 pullups (in as few sets as possible). Everything as heavy as reasonably possible.
