Hey /fit/, just a quick question.

What kind of a diet should I be partaking to build muscle?

I'm 18, have extremely little body fat, but I'm skinny and a little lanky.

eat loads, especially protein. but avoid crap like puddings, instead have nutrionally dense and healthy foods. lean meat, whole grains etc.

divide your food intake into 5 or 6 small meals a day rather than 3 big meals.

then lift weights n shit.

i dunno, i think bodybuilding is ridiculous. but whatever floats your boat.

I'm not really into body building. I just plan on joining the military soon and I want to get at least a little in shape before I am thrown into basic.

Military, eh? I recommend bodyweight exercises. Pullups, pushups. Circuit training.

Yepyep, thanks again. I've been starting them, but I'm not really organized and just do as many as I can whenever. I should probably adopt a schedule or something.

Protein, at least 0.8 time your body weight in lbs everday. Eggs, Fish, chicken, steaks, milk maybe but it's expensive than all of Eggs. nuts, seeds etc

good Carbs like bread, pasta, Oatmeal, brown rice. every 3-4 hours eat SOMETHING. small or a full meal but keep eating and you will gain muscle and drop the fat.
