i used to have the opposite, my chest was i guess you could call it convex. its called pectus carinatum (spl?). anyways, i have had two operations to fix it as the sides of my ribcage were crushing my lungs...
after waking up from the first operation, and the following week were the most unimaginable pain possible. morphine did nothing, demerol did nothing, vicodin did very little. was absolute hell. had moderate pain for the following few months. now about 2 years after the operation, i am fine. my chest is a tad concave now.
but overall, glad i did it, i got ridiculed a lot for it in school, so now i look normal. and i have a badass scar that i can make up stories for.
