hello /fit/ lords, I come from /an/ so I'm sorry if this is a topic that's discussed a lot

I have been using wiifit for about three months. I'm not actively trying to lose weight, just increase my exercise level and go from there. I find it weird that my weight fluctuates up and down about 2kg from week to week and about 1kg from day to day.

How much does weight normally fluctuate? I am 29, 5'7" and 84kg.

I also do power walking five times a week.

morning to evening can easily fluctuate by 2lbs, so yeah that's normal.

also do running instead of power walking....;)

sodium, fibre, water, they all contribute to weight change. Use measurements and calipers for best results.

Ok, I have some callipers, but I have no idea how to use the damn things. I've read the instructions, but it seems every time I try, I can get different results. Anyone got a tutorial or something? My scales have got a BF monitor on them too, but the readings it gives are so full of shit.

You are supposed to drink 2L of water a day. That's 2kg just in liquid. Then there's what you are eating. Of course it'll fluctuate, just weigh yourself at the same time of the day on the day's you do.

about your weight.

it's water. if you're dehydrated you caneasily fluctuate several kilos from day to day.

it's what you wear, what you've eaten, and like i said, how much you drink.

just stick to weighing yourself under similar confitions every day, say after you've been to the bathroom after waking up.

i usually lose about 2.5-3 kg after a run...

I call bullshit, dont dehydrate, but drink LOTS of water. The water you have in your body is keeping you alive, and if it drops with even 2% you are going to feel completely like shit. Why not cut out your internal organs while at it, remove your kidneys and lose several pounds instantly! The only weight you can get along without is fat and some of your muscle mass.

never suggested he'd stop drinking.

just suggested that fluctuating stuff like bladder and bowel contents and water stores are an explaination to shifting weight.

i get tired when i don't drink, but i don't feel bad.

AS the corporals used to say, "DRINK MORE WATER, ACR."

A good guide is to keep a full bottle around at all times and have a mouthful when you think of it. Finish a bottle an hour.
