sigh... yet another question about nutrition Nickname
So when lurking around and studying what to eat/what not to eat, I think this is my final solution, I just need a second opinion. Here's my daily eating plan

8:00 AM
1.oatmeal
2. banana
3. 1 whole egg
4. smoothie (1 cup of mixed fruit, 2 Tbs of unflavored yogurt, 1 cup of mostly pulp non-concentrated orange juice)

10:35
1. assorted nuts (almonds, cashews, peanuts, pecans, Brazilian nuts)
2. 1/3 cup of Bran Buds
3. 1 large carrot

12:30 PM
1. Turkey sandwich (2 slices of whole grain bread, two slices of deli turkey, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, mustard) or a PB & J (2 slices of whole grain bread, stir peanut butter and organic jelly)

I mean, this could be good.

What are you trying to do?

lose fat while building muscle
I mean, I'm not terribly fat, there's still some left to annoy me.

There is a lot of carbs in your diet, mostly from the bread and fruit in your diet.

For breakfast that's good, but I'd say ading a little more meat / vegetables instead of the bread and fruit.

ok, thank you and noted.
But also keep in mind that I'm trying to lose fat, not so much weight. I already weight 155 when my ideal weight is 175.

By the way, aren't carbohydrates pretty much the building blocks for your energy? I mean, I understand that too much is very bad, but when it comes down to a ratio, I figured it would be something like 55% carbohydrates, 35% protein, 10% fat.

also, at the 3:00 add:
about 1/3 of a can of tuna

Eating the same thing everyday will get you into a rut and eventually have you binge on foods you usually won't be eating; make a few different meal plans and mix them up

I didn't mean ideal weight. I meant reccomended weight on a general basis for my height. My bad.

I think you're confusing carbs with protein. If you want to build muscle, you'll want to eat protein, which you will get from meat and fish.

oh yeah definatley. For instance, I make this homemade chicken noodle soup about once a month. But this is a vague generalization of my eating habits

It is really hard to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, which is why the general idea is to gain both at the same time, and then cut out the carbs in your diet to burn that fat off.

please elaborate the difficulty in this?

I figured it was as simple as working out, doing cardio, and eating right

Read this, part 2 is on gaining size.

Basically the idea is that you're pounding on your muscle, because you want to get bigger, so they require a lot of nutrients. But, because you are lowering your calorie count, they aren't getting the nutrients that they need, so they wont grow

CWheezy is a douche don't listen to him. Unless you're are very /fit/ mother fucker you don't need to cut and bulk.

Oatmeal and OATS are two diffrent things. Oatmeal has sugar and other crap, The stuff you need to get says OATS in big letters, oatmeal has a lot of sugar, OATS has 1 gram.

PB&J is horrid. O.o Even with "healthy" stuff it's still a lot of sugar. Try mixing up the sandwiches thou. There are tons of idea you can find online. To break the monotony.

I'd say the carbs isn't too bad. It wouldn't hurt to get a little more veggies instead thou. Wait, cut that, you do a lot of exercise. Just make sure your carbs are all good carbs.

Add HIIT into it. Try to get a little more strength training into it too. But sense you can't get a hold of equipment you go to poorshit your way through.
SQUATZ with a heavy ass bad for instance, improvise.

Oh yes sorry, I meant Oats. Quaker Oats to be specific. The kind you get dry and just boil in water and consume like hell. Sorry for the confusion.

And yes, they're all good carbs. The only simple carbs I have are the fruits in the smoothie, the banana, the apple, and the orange.

And as a side note to everybody: I will be consuming these foods most of time. However, I will do stuff like eat out with friends and change my mood, or if I stay with someone, eat what they eat. But as for staying home, this is going to be my main diet.

Ok, I'm willing to put my foot in my mouth then. DO IT.

When you eat out you need to come home realizing "Damn, I probably ate 1000 calories just now, I need to work out."
>> Nickname
>>388551

usually when I eat out, I get the (or what at least looks like) the healthiest thing. Kind of a lesser of many evils factor. And besides, I don't eat out that often. Maybe about once a month or so.
>> Negro Sparkle Faggot
>>388555
O well then fuck it. Everyone has a cheat meal. If you eat out once a month or even twice then no worries. It's once or twice a week that really messes you up.

"Healthy" names don't make healthy food.
Southwestern Cobb Salad- 970 calories.
Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip (w/ Tostada Chips)- 905

Ha side note 1 awesome blossem has 2700 calories O.o

>>388566

wow. That's ridiculous. I'll keep that in mind.
Here's an example:
I'll eat a 1/4 lb. burger with no cheese, sprouts, lettuce, and mustard. Water to drink, no fries.

Or a grilled chicken salad. I'm assuming what has the most calories is the dressing. frankly, I don't like dressing on my salads. I much prefer to eat vegetables raw.

I actually haven't even started working out yet, still in the research stage. But I plan to let my body get used to exercising first and then start HIIT (I'd say probably by December-January)

Once I wrangle up some money, I'll look into buying some sandbags at Home Depot, apparently they're cheap as fuck and it would be good to get used to awkward weighted objects.

It's not just listening to me, it's listening to fucking professionals who have been doing this their whole lives.

Fucking nigger didn't even mention the reasoning why he thinks I'm wrong, just saying ''oh, it's only for proz"

Ignorant fuck

ah, that seems to make sense
