'sup /fit/? I need advice on eating.

I usually go to sleep very late (on average about 4am every night when I have no commitments the next day) and I get very hungry in the early hours of the morning about 1-2ish. Subsequently I make myself a sandwich (2 slices of thick white bread with something like chicken filling and a packet of chips/crisps, then have a piece of fruit).

What I want to know is whether this is unhealthy and if so just how unhealthy is it?

Replace white with whole wheat, and either get rid of the chips altogether or stick to baked potato chips. Then voila, you're good to go.

Yep they're usually baked or at least 'low fat', but I cant stand whole meal shit even though the bread I have atm has 11% of my daily salt allowance in each slice :(

Thx though!

You're eating a lot of refined starches late at night, when your metabolism is at its slowest. That's going to put fat on you while you sleep. If you're getting hungry at night, stick to meat or cheese.

I would much rather have a steak at 3AM than a turkey sandwich and Pringles.

Well luckily I dont seem to get fat, and I dont eat stupidly fatty foods either so I'm ok in the weight repsect. What bothers me is the stuff you can't see or feel immediately, like shit lining your arteries or increasing chances of illness etc. Is this likely with it being late at night?

Arterial issues will have a lot to do with heredity. Stay away from the partially hydrogenated oils and unfermented dairy fats.

Thx, but wtf do they mean in layman terms? What sorts of foods?
