Meek CrunchesPlace feet on the floor, knees bent. Now drop your knees open. You cannnot place pressure on your feet, as the soles of your feet should be touching. (This eliminates the use of the hip flexors, which is what goes into use after you sit up past 40 degrees in a crunch.) Now cross your arms at your chest and sit up fully. Roll back down. Work up to 10 of these. Don't be surprised if you can't do it, I present this exercise to my classes when they first meet, and usually only one or two people can do it out of 10 or so. It uses nothing but ab strength to pull you up.
got any videos or illustrations on how to do it properly? because those were way too easy, meaning i must've done them wrong or something :\
>>145853same here, maybe these were made for the women-folk. Try adding weights to your chest
Add weights. I'm guessing his classes were filled with really weak people. But it does seem harder than a regular sit up so I guess it's pretty good.
>SAGE!>OP here if you like thathttp://www.outwar.com/rec/mystikal>sign up and you will like this
Better than normal sit-ups, but still doesn't seem to be as efficient as normal crunches. So, either I'm doing it wrong too, or OP is full of shit. :/
i just tried it now, and definitely found it harder than crunches. i think the key it to sit up fully, cuz it only seems harder at the upper range (where OP said hip flexors get in involved)
Make your legs like a butterfly split, and keep them on the floor. Sit up fully, not crunching (dunno why it's called a crunch)
