So I posted recently about finally taking up walking and biking. After a week of going about a mile each day, my ankles and tops of my feet are huge and tender. The heat and humidity isn't helping much either.

The pain and swelling is expected, but still unpleasant dealing with the extent of it. Currently I'm icing my piggies. Anyone have any suggestions how to better cope with the foot/ankle problem? I'm a big girl, so ex fatty wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

In before bawfags crying about needing to be in shape before being allowed to get in shape.

I went through the same thing a few months ago. But, honestly, I don't remember it hurting so bad that I needed to really do anything about it. And here I was an extremely fat tub of lard (330+), doing at least two miles a day. It's possible that I am simply a god in human form, capable of feats of endurance to shame a normal fatty. Or maybe it's because I've had worked at various jobs on my feet since I was 16.

Lasted me about three weeks, maybe a little more, after which I didn't have any sort of significant pain lasting beyond the cardio itself.

For reference, I started at 330 in late February, have just recently broken the 280 mark, am an otherwise inactive male book nerd, and have managed significant improvements since then.

Keep it up! Being able to walk/bike places is convenient. Very much so for me, since Kansas City is full of shitty drivers going 30 over the speed limit, weaving in and out of traffic without a signal.

Where are you walking? I can't imagine 1 mile taking that much of a toll on your feets. I suggest maybe getting some better cross-trainers, try stuff on and make sure they feel comfortable.

As a runner shoes are very important. I had a pair of Asics(pic related) and about 4days of training later I had cuts and pains on my feet. A good friend of mine had the same pair of shoes and was fine. Anyway, I returned them, got a new pair of New Balance and the pains were gone and I had excellent support and traction for my cross country running.

For your foot and ankle problems just walk it off, don't strain yourself, stick to the bike till the pain resides or goes away, imo.

now tits plz!

You may very well be! That's a lot of weight on ankles. I've been really inactive and lazy the past 10 years, even as far as employment goes. I'm a little too well taken care of by my guy.. An increase in feeling like crap got me off my ass and to make a life change. I was 270 lbs and I'm not even 5½ft tall, and haven't lost as much as I'd like (17 pounds) since January this year.. I'm glad I'm carrying it pretty well considering the usual image people see when they combine those measurements.
I've already gotten my old energy back, and I'm eager to keep going outside to "play", but I have to remember to not overdo it.

On the smooth well kept pavement in my neighborhood, so they're not to blame. My height could be working against me too. Shorter legs need to make more strides, and I keep a brisk holiday mall walking pace.
Guess I'll need to look seriously for some walking shoes. Thanks. ^^

As for tits, perhaps when my body is more flattering for 4chan. In the meantime have something pretty from my collection. Safe for the blue board, of course.
