Hey /fit/

I eat ramen noodles a lot, not the cupped stuff, the shit you boil. I eat it with a boiled egg and I dont use the seasoning packet. I eat this shit a whole lot, like once or twice every day. I'm not trying to be Mr. universe or anything, but I'm currently running regularly and trying to lose some weight.

I've heard conflicting things about noodles though, is there anything negative about eating them a lot?

Alternately, if/when I start to look at bulking up, do you think being this noodle-dependent will be detrimental?

Pic related, it's me and my favorite meal.

It isn't BAD for you, especially if you're doing a lot of running, but it's certainly not doing your physique any favours. Empty calories, I think.

You'd do well to make better nutritional choices for your health and for your body composition goals.

That stuff contains a shitload of sodium.

lots of sodium is bad, carbs are bad too for losing weight, high protein, medium fats, low carbs is what you should aim for tldr; eat this stuff less

Considering your running daily, it's really not too bad.
If you're trying to loose weight fat, you might have to cut back on it. It's all deep-fryed and full of sodium.

Empty calories plus shit-tons of sodium.

The old (yet pretty much true) joke about ramen is that you'd get more nutrition out of it by eating the cup instead of the noodles.

Combine that with a TON of sodium and there just isn't really any reason to eat ramen. It's not going to kill you (right now at least, keep eating it non-stop your whole life and it will fuck you up as too much sodium is bad for your long-term health) to eat it . . . but why bother? Eat something with some nutritional value.
