I think>>629's problem may be different from OP's. I had similar problems when I started working out again, and I'm borderline OCD with hygiene. I think "Trust me, I'm a doctor" is actually on to something, as it was exclusively in the fattiest areas that I experienced it. I wasn't that painful, but REALLY irritating and uncomfortable.
Just work through it, it'll go away after a few weeks. Also, more weight/reps when you can handle them, etc.
