I called my doctor and he didn't refill my Welbutrin or my Lorazepam. What the fuck.

I've been on them both for 3 weeks. Will I go through withdrawals tomarrow since i took my last dose tonight? Or is 3 weeks not enough time.

General Anxiety disorder and depression are real problems.

Yes, I could try and ignore the symptoms and go with out meds and try to fake like I'm fine (like i did from 13-18) but that's a real shitty quality of life if you constantly feel nervous, low appetite, etc...

Even if you appear semi normal to the people outside, you still feel like shit.

Sigh. I hate ignorant fucks. Modern Medicine is here for a reason. To alleviate suffering/pain mentally and physically. Depression and anxiety are not really "curable". NO working out does NOT cure it. I was in the Military for 5 years and worked out many times a week and was forced to do things, it did not get better. Got a medical discharge for clinical depression and severe anxiety because I was losing weight and could not eat and etc...

Science is here for a reason. Any dumb fuck who chooses to go "natural" because "loldrugsarebad" is an ignorant cunt. The meds are designed to ease the symptoms. Yes they mask them, and don't cure them. That's the point. You can't cure them. Anxiety and depression are life long things.

Having to take a pill everyday is fine. Yes if you lose your job or insurance you'll withdraw but, it's worth the chance. My quality of life has went up 10 fold since I've gotten xanax. No more panic attacks, no more anxiety issues, etc..Don't feel like shit all the time.

I see it as no different than drinking water or eating everyday.

Thats liken saying ADD or assburgers is a real disorder.

I overcame a psychological disorder without drugs. It's a state of mind (just like your mind fools you into thinking that those pills actually do something), if you need to pump yourself with pills to feel okay FUCKING KILL YOURSELF FAGGOT.

>just like your mind fools you into thinking that those pills actually do something)

lol. Oh god. You do know the pills actually change the level of certain chemicals and receptors in your brain.

Chemistry isn't real now?

It's because your brain is telling you the truth, you ARE shit. You obviously fail at life, no doubt are fat/ugly/alone.

You deserve misery.

You think the power of the mind plays no part in 'omg pillz r werking'?

Lol, deluded much.

It does, but that's why they do controlled studies to make sure that the drug they prescribe doesn't just rely on the placebo effect.

>Benzodiazepines produce a range of effects from depressing to stimulating the central nervous system via modulating the GABAA receptor, the most prevalent inhibitory receptor within the brain. The subset of GABAA receptors that also bind benzodiazepines are referred to as benzodiazepine receptors (BzR). The GABAA receptor is composed of five subunits, most commonly two ?'s, two ?'s, and one ? (?2?2?). For each subunit, multiple subtypes exist (?1-6, ?1-3, and ?1-3). GABAA receptors that are made up of different combinations of subunit subtypes have different properties, different distributions within the brain, and different activities relative to pharmacological and clinical effects.

>Benzodiazepines bind at the interface of the ? and ? subunits on the GABAA receptor. Benzodiazepine binding also requires that alpha subunits contain a histidine amino acid residue, (i.e., ?1, ?2, ?3 and ?5 containing GABAA receptors). For this reason, benzodiazepines show no affinity for GABAA receptors containing ?4 and ?6 subunits, which contain an arginine instead of a histidine residue. Other sites on the GABAA receptor also bind neurosteroids, barbiturates and certain anesthetics.[12]

Yeah sure go ahead, take your little pills to solve your little problems, you fucking pussy. Or you can suck it up like everyone else and go do some SQUATZ!

Are you religious or a scientologist by any chance?

I'm no fan of pill popping but honestly, my jaw dropped at the ignorance of this. Do you honestly fucking not believe the drugs have an effect?

If the doctor shot you up with Lorazepam intravaniously and told you it was a vaccination for the flu or something your ass would be sedated. It is not a placebeo effect. Fucking christ. God. I hope I was just trolled.

So we should have a lower quality of life and "suck it up" because our brains function differently.

I know alot of people like you. My dad for example. Adamant against using pills or meds to solve problems.

He injured his back, and was put on Vicodin and Xanax for pain, muscle spasms, and insomnia.

When he stopped taking the xanax, he cried litke a woman about the panic attacks and anxiety from the withdrawls. The same thing I felt every day. I've withdrawn too.

Everyone who tells people to "suck it up" don't have the problem them selves.

>>411035
>Everyone who tells people to suck it up dont have the problem themselves.

No, you are just telling yourself because you are weak-willed and need to take pills to make up for that. Get some fucking will-power and suck it up like the rest of us who dont blame our problems on some imaginary disease.

>>411039
Take a benzodiazepine or an SSRI for a month or so, every day. Then stop taking them cold turkey and have the anxiety and panic attacks everyday from the withdrawls.

Same feeling as axniety attacks.

Then imagine that (slightly lower scale) every day for years. You obvious don't have the problem, so you are completely ignorant of how it lowers your quality of life dramatically.

>>411044
Or you could have not been an idiot in the first place and not taken the drugs? Its your fucking fault, and now you are reliant on them.
>> Anonymous
>>411044
Yeah, you are right, I dont have a problem because your so-called problem doesnt even exist.
>> Anonymous
>>411044

Okay, smart fuck. What about those of us who have dealt with diagnosed depression or something similar? Those of us who opted to go it alone, without drugs.

Do not baaaaw because there a plenty of people like you who deal with it themselves, without chemical aid.

You don't get what I'm saying. The anxiety I get every day when not on drugs feels JUST LIKE withdrawl effects from drugs except it comes in bursts of 30 mins- 2 hours over the course of the day.

I know, because I have had anxiety since I was 15. And I have withdrawed 4 times.

Withdrawing at home alone gives similar anxiety to being in public having an anxiety attack, not drug induced.

Withdrawing in public is horrible.
>> Anonymous
>>411056
Thats a whole different problem altogether. I dont think we are on the same page here.
>> Anonymous
So, looks like I'm the first to actually answer your question...

It depends on your dosage. By 3 weeks, your body is still not totally used to the medicine, withdrawal won't be as harsh as if you were on it for several months, since you are probably still feeling the "high" of the meds.

If you are taking less than 300mg of the WB then I wouldn't worry.
>> Anonymous
>>411087
No, that's what an anxiety/panic disorder is.
>> Anonymous
Welbutrin you don't need to worry about for withdrawals I don't think. Haven't really been on them long enough, plus if your doctor isn't a complete moron, he'll call it in before you even would have the chance to have withdrawals from it. It can take awhile. You don't go into withdrawals for a little while after taking them for awhile because its built up in your system. but if your doctor doesn't fill it and you do have withdrawals, well, seizures suck.

With the lorazepam, you probably will go through withdrawals worse just because it has a noticeable effect when you take it. You'll have a bit of anxiety and think fuck, now I don't have my pills and that will just make it worse.

I had a seizure on the beach when i stopped lorazepam, ambulance came and everything.

Almost as if they aren't disorders, but aspects of a personality...

hence the term "personality disorders" of the DSM-IV TR

If fit believes that all these problems are minor and just need to be sucked up, how do you feel about paranoid schizophrenics? You can't tell me you wouldn't want these people on meds.

It's the same thing. Only difference is that this disorder is much more severe.
