I dont know if this question belong's to /fit/ but ill ask anyway.
Recently a good friend told me that she had a surgery on her stomach, a cyst or a tumor was removed.
I tried to do some research and I dont think there's such a thing as stomach tumor, everytime I google it I goes straight to stomach cancer.
my question is, what is the scope of this issue? Do I really have to worry because she's not telling me something?
She told me what was surgically removed was a 6mm (or cm?) tumor.

If she said it's a tumor, it's probably a tumor.
Ask her?

You can get tumors/cysts all over your body without it being cancer - I personally know someone who had a massive one removed from her stomach.

Someone needs to get over their trust issues

she only told me that she had a tumor removed or a cyst, and she's telling me that she's really fine now. But the way I see it is that there's more to that and its not just an ordinary tumor.
What i'm asking is, is this something I have to be alarmed? (to those people who knows about stomach tumors / cyst)

i tried to do some research and I found out that there are malignant (cancerous) and benign (non cancerous) types of cyst / tumor.

Tumors can happen in any tissue, as>>62264said. If it was just a cyst and the surgery was successful then you have nothing to worry about. Fucking trust her.

If you didn't know the difference between benign and malignant growths, you are underage B&.
