What you need, is what I call, leg kicks.
What you do, lay flat on your back, while keeping your upper back and head off the ground. Finally adjust your legs so they are at about an 140 degree angle, and kick them (measurement of movement is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet) up and down, until you are at failure.
