Is there anyway I can train my arms safely even if I have carpal tunnel? (other than getting an operation)

Very few people have REAL carpel tunnel, especially if you are relatively young. Try some extreme massage on those hands and wrists with a rubber eraser to get in between the bones in the hand. Regular strength exercises will be better for your hands in the long run.

First, if you have the numbness in your hands while grasping shit, that sucks. Whatever you're doing to aggravate this, stop it (common sense.) If you catch it soon enough it will eventually calm down and your nerves will go back to normal over time. Take some ibuprofen daily to reduce the pain and aid recovery.

I used to have the makings of carpal tunnel and the only things I changed were taking breaks every 15 minutes and my posture.
