Don't read a magazine of chat or whatever when doing your stationary bike. that shit should be intense. When you get off of it after 45 minutes, you should be dripping sweat. I go to a gym 3 times a week and see people who don't look like they've improved AT ALL in the last year and a half, mostly because they just chill there on a bike or a treadmill hardly working. Then theres the dude who joined 8 months ago whose lost at least 50 pounds, because he just goes in there and DESTROYS that stationary bike.
Cardio shouldn't be relaxing. figure out your max heart rate (220 minus your age) and bust ass for as long as you can at 75-90% of that.
