Will protein powder help me gain muscle mass faster considering that I am doing weight training?

I surmise that it will since it's really hard to eat the amount of protein required for gaining muscle consistently and you could use the powder to make it so you always had enough.

What brands are good? Is there anything I should watch out for?

You should easily be able to get enough protein to gain muscle, if you're struggling its probably proof that you're not eating enough to grow anyway.

I've been training for a few years now and the best shit to get is Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein. The Double Rich Chocolate is my personal favorite.

You can also pair this up with a bottle of Prolab Creatine Monohydrate to gain size even faster.
