this

explain why chap stick doesn't work or you suck cock.

Drink lots of water every day, or suck dick.

Apply chapstick after drinking fluids, not before. Anytime you have a fluid it evaporates taking other lip moisture with it. There's no reason your lips should dry out so fast using some lip moisturizer

This. Also, sometimes I've had more luck with Carmex or Vaseline (comes in little squirt bottles, intended for your lips).
The main thing is, don't ever lick your lips when they get dry; that just makes 'em worse, faster.

put vaseline on your lips before you go to sleep. rub it in and wipe off all the excess with a paper towel. vaseline is a magnet for hair, dust, etc. so it may bug you a bit. wash it off in the morning. don't pick or chew on your lips.

Also, more vitamin E in your diet. helps your skin heal.

a dermatologist might have other solutions.

I put chap stick on every day but my lips still have the chapped lines on them but at least they're not ashy anymore. Is it a problem if they still have the crack line like in OP's pic?

Last winter I was also taking acne medication (isotretinoin) and I ended up applying chapstick at least 2 to 3 times a day. After I showered in the morning and brushed my teeth, then at a random time during the day that I deemed necessary, and then again when I went to bed after brushing my teeth.

Basically, I was addicted to chapstick by the time March/April arrived. If I didn't get it, my lips dried out HARDCORE.

Then my isotretinoin schedule ended in August, and I forced myself to stop with the chapstick. It actually happened on its own after a few days, when I realized that when I applied chapstick out of habit (like after a shower), it seemed too moist and unecessary. I now only use it once a week or so when it's unusually windy and cool out, but that's normal.

tl;dr Chapstick is not for daily use.

ffs... you are doing it wrong. If it's dry keep it wet if it's wet keep it dry... There, you are now prepared to deal with the majority of human skin conditions. Stop being a moron, go buy some normal ChapStick brand chapstick and apply to chapped lips. Then don't lick it off like the OCD riddled troglodyte I'm sure you are. Seriosuly. When you can't feel it on their anymore reapply. Repeat until lips are no longer chapped.

/thread.

tough it out until your lips can moisturize themselves. Stop licking your lips.

or just suck dick

I know this sounds weird but take an old toothbrush, make sure its relatively clean. Stick the brush into some vasaline and lightly scrub you lips. It worked for me. I heard it from the Tyra show.

Just buy Vaseline Lip Therapy. Its just white petroleum, so there's no harm in over applying.

Except your lips will get too used to having chapstick on them, and then it will not properly produce its own moisture.

Does anyone else not notice or have a problem with their lips being chapped?

I always see this kind of ppl carrying around stupid moisturizers and shit meanwhile their lips are just as chapped as mine or less.

I don't get it. Do you people really notice these things?

i used to be srsly addicted to chapstick and blistex.
if i didn't have it, i'd lick my lips nervously until they were almost raw.
i had to ween myself off it slowly using a jar of vaseline.
i still use the vaseline as i need it, but i wont ever use the others again.

mine dont get chapped at all really, not even on skiing slopes. only time they ever got chapped was in like 7th grade when i was waiting for the bus for like 30 minutes and it was like below zero with insane wind chill. shit happens

Serious answer here.

I live in a very warm climate, and whenever I traveled to cold regions my lips would get fucked as hell unless I used something on them.

Don't. I stopped using that shit, and now my lips never crack anymore.

Carmex, Blistex and Chap Stick brands don't work for me either. Short of using bag balm I've discovered a moderately priced solution...It's called Bert's Bee's. It's a bee's wax based chap stick. They make it in a lot of shades but I believe they have shadeless. Check it out. You can usually find it at stores like wal-mart.

switch for lipstick.

I always liked Vaseline.
>> Moo !XBOXgikTFw
I cake on some labello med protection on before going to sleep if they're chapped, and a tiny bit after washing in the morning. Also drink a lot of water!

Lips have no glands, how are they going to "moisturize" themselves?

It WORKS. Fuck chap stick. One DAY of using straight vaseline and I'm good.
