Hey /fit/

I decided to go back to school in June and weighed about 200 pounds. I just tipped the scale at 230, which means I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I'm 24 years old and honestly I'm feeling a little down on myself. nb4 troll, nb4 dumbfuck response.

What would you do in my situation? I eat like shit so I know I need to improve my diet but does anyone have any tips as I start to realize that for the first time in my life I need to move and be active. I remember being happy and feeling good in 2005.

I look like the kid in the middle of the pic.

Actually, I'm in between the 3rd and 4th kid...

Chicken breast, beans, eggs, tuna, as much vegetables as you want. These are your new favorite foods.

not OP but I have a question, if I get a chicken sub from subway (read: no soda/chips/heavy sauces) is that healthy?

I'm pretty much in the same situation (200lbs) so...

Of course improve your diet. Its for me anyways, the easiest part I can change. For you, not too sure. I'm sure you know how to change it.

Well, to help you off with exercise... Google map your area and plan a jogging/walking route that takes at least 45 minutes. Wake up in the morning to do these. Wake up a hour and a 30 minutes or more earlier depending on your schedule. Do this every other day or something. On those days in between, do weights and such.

And... take whatever other advice from this thread.

I'm assuming he's saying not to eat bread, but I could be wrong.

Know that you need energy to burn energy. Don't cut out carbs completely.

Full stop = period (.) in Australia, England etc.

Also, if walks aren't your cup of tea, try to find some kind of physical activity you do like, it is so much easier to motivate yourself to do the exercise that way.

If you don't like team sports, I recommend some sort of martial art. I never wanted to play any team sports as a kid cause I was afraid I'd let the team down. With martial arts, you get the motivation of training as a group, but your own performance doesn't have such an impact on others.
