To all the fattys and skinny fags that don't want to be a ripped body builder, why the fuck not? I mean seriously it can only make you STRONGER, if you are that ashamed of it, you could always wear some long sleeves to cover up being ripped... but still know that you are stronger then most under neath your clothing. That's what i do, i wear long sleeves so no one can see all the work I've done, and I only bring out the big guns when i need them, or when i go to a store late at night and don't feel like changing out of a tank top.

back in the 80s and 90s muscular men were consider the standard of beauty however in our current decade this image has change from muscular to skinny. Go look at the difference between men models in the 80s and 90s and compare them to the current models we have now and you will understand.

also what i think people want when they say they don't want to be overly muscular is that they like the way they look now just want to add a little definition and tone and not bulk up 20 pounds of muscles.

You cant be that huge or your arms would be too big for long sleeves

Bodybuilding is for men who wax their bodies and traipse around in bikinis. I train.

Yeah, this. Most girls I'm interested in would not be interested in me if I got much bigger. Maybe I should just better taste in girls, but whatever.

I can't imagine doing what the op said, I get hot so fucking easily. I wear short sleeves in all weather save for the deepest darkest depths of winter.

Achieveing a balance is my goal, I do require more muscle at the moment and I will continue to train with the aim of muscel hypertrophy. When I am satisfied - note that I said I - I will maintain whatever size I am comfortable with.

But I agree, I certainly want to look AND BE strong and powerful because - deep down - that is what a man feels he should be (I know I do) and what a woman expects. And no amount of gay ass models or armani ads are going to change that.

So your saying that the media exemplifies exactly what people want? So back in the 30's and 40's when sex was a hush hush topic people didn't want to have sex? gb2/g/

It's not size, it's strength that matters.

If you're at a party and people are showing off feats of strength, the guy who can do a one handed planche is going to get a thousand times as much ass as the guy with relatively useless 18 inch biceps.

People still wanted to have sex, but they were probably a lot less open about it because - at that time- it was taboo.

Sweeping generalisations are sweeping, by the way.

Shit, I'd probably let a guy who could do a one-handed planche fuck me if he wanted to.

I'm genuinely interested as to what kind of parties you are going.

erm, why the fuck would you want to do one of them?

also id love to see someone with 18" biceps do one of these, hed look like such a prick who likes suprise buttsecks with men that all the work he had done would be pointless.

Average parties? One guy does something impressive, then another guy is all "oh I can do that", and then it escalates to a bunch of people showing off shit they can do.

>>307471
Why the fuck wouldn't you want to be able to do that? Practical strength beats the fuck out of useless muscle mass.
>> Anonymous
define practical, in what circumstance is being able to balance on one handand hold your body off the floor practical?

Capable of or suitable to being used or put into effect; useful. It's useful in the sense that the strength allows you to manipulate your own body weight in whatever way you need to for whatever reason, where as aesthetic muscle mass generally does not.

Have you ever picked up one of the other guys and squatted him when that's happened?

I honestly have, but more as a joke than as any kind of legitimate showing-off.

I'm personally training for strength (hence why I've done a lot of research and doing Starting Strength), Muscles come with it. Why am I doing it? because I enjoy looking at the mirror and saying I did that. (And also joining the police force no skinnyfags there!)

Picture related want to look better then that!
