hey /fit/,
I got a punching bag and I'm looking for a good work-out routine for it. I've been mostly just hitting it as hard as I can for about 5 minuets in between work out days. Can anyone recommend me a good time frame to work with. I'm looking to lose about 20 pounds.

theres plenty of sites that have some intricate routines, myself in the boxing gym, i do it by rounds, which is 3min intervals. i train technique of punching, then speed, then power. then i do my combinations.

If your trying to get a good cardio workout and lose weight, you need to get some good movment around the bag, dont just stand in one place punching it. you need to move around like a boxer. i reccomend the 3min intervals and boxer training.

lrn2punch too so you don't hurt yourself. It may be a bad ideal to lrn2kick and throw knees if anything it will make your training a but more robust.

Wrap your hands and wear gloves if you don't already, your knuckles will get callused.

I tend to move as much as my can but there are some pretty stationary things in my way, but I'll take your plan for a swing and see if i get some results
