Protein bars.
I tried the ones pictured and they tasted fine, but after reading the label they seem more like candy bars (too much sugar, not enough protein) than anything really helpful, so I'm not sure if I want to really buy them again.
I'm not doing weight training or anything so it doesn't have to have a godly amount of protein, but I would like to find a nice bar that doesn't taste like cardboard, but also isn't packed with sugar.
What does /fit/ recommend?

MOM I NEED SOME FUCKING PROTEIN!

A chicken breast

waste of money IMO, except if you have a time where it is somehow impossible to get protein in your meal

i'd thought about buying some myself. thanks for the warning

They really are just overpriced, protein enriched candy bars. They might help, but only if you're not eating other things during the day with a sizable sugar content. If you eat them, you'll have to make up for it in your main meals, which really isn't worth doing. Personally, I wouldn't dream of touching anything resembling a candy bar or containing refined sugar due to my acne. Not sure what it's like for people who don't have to take that sort of thing into account, must be great.

Try this:

I haven't tried making any yet, but I will as soon as I can get my hands on some peanut butter (rarer than oil here).

I'm guessing your acne hasn't gotten any better since you stopped eating sugar. Take some accutane and eat whatever the fuck you want.

I went on accutane for a year. Now all I've got is a face full of scars. If I eat refined sugar I get one or two tiny zits at a time that just hurt like crazy. Not worth being on accutane just so I can eat sugar, it fucked me up good enough the first time. If I had to go through it again, I'd probably kill myself before the end of it.

OP here.

Like someone else said, they look good, but there are waaaaaay too many calories in that.
I'm trying to keep my calorie count pretty low, so that's not really an option. Thanks, though!

I think the bar is supposed to be an entire meal replacement...not a snack
