Hi /fit/, this is sorta health related kinda...
I have been sweating a lot under the arm lately (past 3-4 weeks) and im getting tired of it. 10 mins into a new shirt and its already wet under the arm. Cant single out any specific source. I started going more often to the gym 1 month back (2 instead of once a week so no big change) and also started drinking more water and less coke/sprite. People say these are supposed to help reduce the problem and not start it so it can not be that. Anyways, what does /fit/ suggest? How can i reduce this problem/eliminate it. Also, it doesnt smell usually and is just a wet stain but even that is embarassing and uncomfortable and so i end up walking like a dude with huge muscles. i am 21 if that matters. How would /fit/ deal with it?

HALP??

why don't you just use antiperspirant? I used to have problems sweating heavily as well, and I started using that and now there's no worries.

i already do.
i've actually been using an old spice high endurance antiperspirant/deodrant for the past year or so. This problem started a month back at most. active ingredient is 12% Aluminium chlorohydrate. That certain dri website mentions their perspirant active ingredient is 12% aluminium chloride so maybe without the OH, it works better?

i've always heard that mitchum stuff is supposed to basically clog your pores so you can't sweat.......maybe try that......also shaving the armpits might be part of the problem with the getting shirts wet because i've always noticed women have a much higher incidence or pit stains....cause they shave their damn armpits....your a man no need to shave the pits....chest/back i can see that but the pits man?

i had a similar problem when i hit 19, so i went for some of the antiperspirants boasting a strong/long effect. rightguard 24hr seemed to work.

This is going to sound fucking insane but get botox injected under your arms it fucks up the sweat glands and eliminates the problem. The solution was originally found for people who had a condition causing them to sweat profusely, it's not like you're botox'ing your face cause that sweat can really fuck you over at interviews etc, go get it dealt with.
