Sup /fit/?

My first time on this board because I'm fat as hell, and I ordered the "P90X" program (it should be coming in a few days) I wanted to know if anyone else on here has tried it, and how well it has worked for them?

pic not related.

I know this sounds terrible, but I'm like 5' 7" and 230 lbs. I REALLY want to stop being fat, I haven't necessarily gone through much of a growth spurt yet.

Am I more likely to lose more weight and possibly grow a few inches because of my "build"?

Lose weight faster because you are overweight, Yes, most likely.

Grow a few inches, No

Haha ok, last question...

Would I benefit from having the workout before or after school? (hours 7:00 - 2:40)

One of the many debated points in bodybuilding, when to train.
Because there is no consensus about that I will just say: Whenever you feel more comfortable.
P90X is very demanding, I like to have a few meals before training, but is just my opinion

I forgot to add.
P90X is very demanding, and some of the videos are almost 2 hours long.

If you are really a fat fuck I would suggest to do them after school, because you are going to be completely destroyed and will need to explain a lot of things to your classmates

Does P90 make you a lot stronger, or does it just really get the fat off of a person who is overweight? the people on that board seem to be ripped, but how would p90 compare to 3 months of Squats/deadlifts/bench.

Most people who do P90X do it because they don't know the first thing about training. That's why I did it, and it's meant to help everyone, you can get bigger, just max at 8-10 reps. Now I just do a mix of my own workouts that gives me better results, but it's great for starting out.

if you wanna lose weight p90x could help, but your diet is going to be THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. Anyone who has significantly changed their body will tell you that diet is about 70% while training is only 30%. You will need both to succeed, but don't think you can buy a videotape and still practice your old shitty habits and be able to transform.

yup, strewth. i bet 90% of people that start this program fail because of diet. probably higher than that.
