what does /fit/ do about cheat meals?

every 2 or 3 weeks I have crazy urges to fucking go to town on something (like a pizza or buffalo wings)

is it ok to cheat once every 3 weeks or have any of you been able to go months without a cheat meal?
>> Anonymous
I allow myself one "bad" thing per week. Most of the time it's beer or pizza.

I went quite awhile once without cheat meals, a few months. It's like masturbation, the first month is hell but after you stop you kind of lose the urge to do it. Until you start again.

Also, FUCK YOU for posting that goddamn pizza. Fuck.

I usually eat one bad thing a week or so, even then I limit my caloric intake the rest of that day to help balance.

This is unless there are extenuating circumstances like getting home at 1 am yesterday to find no food in my house and I was absolutely starving, so I went to a Sheetz and got some food.

I don't understand how you can spend time thinking about bad food. You eat your small meals, and move on and do your other daily activities.

I don't even get how pizza, a commercialized and shitty type of food, is even that good. This is the /ck/ school of thought - eat moar shitty but cheap food that's unhealthy.

As for cheat days, I feel that they work but I honestly can care less if I have them or not.

As for junk food itself, I feel it's similar to doing drugs. You get a temporary state of joy or pleasure, and you're putting all this shit into your body. That's a trade off only the weak willed enjoy.

It's naturally ingrained for us to enjoy shitty foods. Fast food, pizza, sodas, chain restaurants, etc... T'hey're all bad for us, but I'm sure almost all of us can think of at least a few things that are our secret vices.

I'd like to think I have a good diet overall. I normally eat under 6 ounces of white meat per day, I'll snack on some unsalted nuts, and I stick primarily to fruits and veggies low in starch. But usually twice a month I just have to give into one of my vices.

When I do give in it's usually Taco Bell, McDonald's Breakfast or a Big Mac, or a big piece of steak, or I have a huge urge to drink 12 Guinness. I know it's bad for me, I don't ever enjoy it as much as I had anticipated I would, and I always feel like shit afterwards, but I still do it. It's normal, and as long as giving into those urges aren't a daily thing then I don't see how there could be too much wrong with it.

tl;dr
It's natural to enjoy shitty food, just don't go overboard and do it every day.

My favourite food is pizza and probably always will be. Shit, i could go through 2-3 pizza's like OP pic if i really wanted to in the past, but learning moderation is important.

As for cheat meals, i think once a week is fine provided you use MODERATION. Eat a burger, eat a few slices of pizza, eat a curry, but dont go overboard and make the plate a challenge to climb. Your stomach is roughly the size of two fists, you do not need an entire pizza, fries and coke and ice cream.

>or a big piece of steak

how is steak considered a cheat meal, don't people eat steak all the fucking time when theyre bulking or cutting, just another form of meat?

When you're cutting you eat lean meat like chicken & turkey.

While steak is high in Protien, which is perfect for when you're bulking up, it's also high in fat compared to chicken, fish, and even certain cuts of pork, which is bad if you're trying to cut down.

if i want a pizza then i'll eat one. that's all there is to it. it's not like i'm going to turn into a lard ass overnight. the key is to just not make it a habit.

Why does that pizza have so many of Tara Reid's nipples?

Depends on the cut. You DO know there isn't just an ubiquitous "steak" part of the cow, right?

Most cuts of sirloin are very lean, even going as lean as 98/2 for some premium stuff. Now, the T-bones, fillet mignon, briskets, chuck, etc. are what you want to avoid when it comes to beef.

people say that when cutting eat chicken...i did. it worked, in a way, though not in the one i wanted it to. i had friggen diarrhea right after, and couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day.
