hello, /fit/ :)so i need some help here. i'm a 14 year-old girl, maybe 130 lbs (i'm not sure, i might be a little less or a little more) and 5'0. i'm not heavy looking, but not lean for my height. i'm joining a gym to see if i can lose 20 pounds during the summer.i've educated myself and have decided to limit myself to 1300 calories a day, and burn 300 - 400, but i have no idea if that's half assing it or being unhealthy. i'm gonna walk/run on a treadmill for 45 min and then do elliptical or stationary bicycle for 20 min, starting out every other day and then hopefully progressing to every day until school starts up again. after the cardio, i would do a little bit of inner/outer thigh weight lifts. and i would just watch what i eat overall and avoid soda/candy/junk food.TL;DR - is 1 hr and 15 minutes of cardio a day and maybe 15 minutes of weights, along with 1300 calories a day healthy for a 5'0 125 - 130 lb girl?
Increase your calorie intake. You're 14, so you're obviously still growing. I'm guessing your BMR is around 1450~1600, so increase it to 1500 at least.Otherwise, your workout routine seems fine, you might want to look into HIIT.
You need to lift more weights, and make sure your whole body gets involved, not just your thighs.
