I'm looking for advice as to what to do for someone who is very unfit. I'm six foot one (185cm) and 180 pounds (82 kilograms). The only exercise I do is a 15 minute commute on a bike. I'm not looking to really change my shape at all, just get healthier in general. Should I be hitting the weights or running? How much should I do?

My diet is pretty basic. For breakfast I have cereal and semi skimmed milk. For lunch I have a sandwich and a banana. Evening meal is usually meat, potatoes and a few vegetables.

i'm 183ish and around 85kg :P. But i'm lifting only and dont care about any cardio ^_^

Wanna have more energy and stuff like that in your everyday life.. do cardio.
Otherwise do some lifting :P

how about joining a rec sports league?

lift weights
run
do some active outside activities (ie rock climbing)

you will want to eat a bit more because of calories.

I know that the weight isn't that bad, it's just I don't do much exercise and I'm generally just a bit lazy and feel I don't do enough. I used to do judo and that was great exercise. Maybe fencing or something would be fun.
