Lifting Routine Anonymous
Hey /fit/
I am in college and need something to occupy my time. I thought improving myself would be a good use.

I am about 6'2'' 155 and want to do a modified 5x5 strength training program. I'm thinking of a 4 day plan alternating a, b, and c:

Day A:
Squat 5x5
Bench Press 5x5
Inverted Rows 3xfail
Pushups3xfail
Tricep Dip 3xfail

Day B:
Squat 5x5
Overhead Press 5x5

you sure love crunches

I'd recommend dropping C and splitting those ab exercises between A and B days. Do not really need a day dedicated solely for abs.

holy shit a crunches day

take that shit out and alternate A/B for your 4 days, do crunches after a proper workout if you have to do them

This is inferior to the stronglifts program.

it basically IS the stronglifts program

I realize this, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

There is nothing wrong with the stronglifts program as is, you don't need more crunches, you don't need crap fuck lat pulldowns when your doing pull-ups to failure.

He puts the ab shit all in one day, but stronglifts is meant to be a full body workout each time, not to give your abs a week break.

oh yeah trying to do 5x5 lat pulldowns after working 3 sets of pullups to failure is p dumb

exactly, OP why don't you swallow your pride and try out the stronglifts program for about a month and see how you feel.

Your no fucking expert, just do it fag.

I'll do the stronglifts program, but I feel like I should be doing more. Is there anything I could add to it? Or fuck it, I should just do it?
