Anyone know why I'd be getting headaches when I lift weights -- I ride my bike and go for a run/walk about 3 times a week, and I never get headaches from doing cardio exercise, but when I try and lift weights I get a massive headache straight away.. are there any common causes for this?

improper breathing can drastically spike your blood pressure when lifting, make sure you are breathing properly.

HOLDing your breath? I've squat 415 before, and if I held my breath, I would've passed the fuck out.

I force the air out so it kinda sounds like hydraulics; pretty silly, but it enforces good breathing technique.

yeah thats what i mean, but you cannot just inhale and exhale normally, you gotta let it out in tiny spurts
