So I heard today from some biologist that urine test cannot detect marijuana. Is he right?
>> Anonymous
no
>> Anonymous
This was corroborated by some HR people at a university, it was in a hearing-type thing for this dude who worked there, they argued that the guy in question was willing to take a urine test "because he knows it cant detect weed". I would think HR people at a university overseeing research employees would know if it could.

Then that biologist works at Retard State University.
>> Anonymous
Yes. You should smoke as much weed as you can before doing a piss test just to show the system how smart you are.

this is health & fitness. anything regarding killing brain cells such as marijuana and other faggy things does not belong here.

now kill yourself.

Working out destroys brain cells too. Anyway, isn't downtime basically a requirement? Pot's good for that if you like it. Less strain on the body than booze or fucking speed or something.

And there's several kinds of urine testing. During the usual health checkup they don't test for drugs because it's expensive and not what the customer is paying for. Instead they check for presence of blood or protein in the urine, because it's a low-cost way of picking up several rather bad conditions that people may have. Piss testing for drugs is never done covertly.

marijuana? in MY vagina?

i have friends in the army who were busted in a piss test for marifuckingwhatever. you graduated from retard state, now die.
>> Anonymous
Oh, and drug testing from piss does look for pot metabolites. It's perfectly possible to get busted that way. It does discriminate between people who've smoked pot in the last 3 days and people who haven't pretty well, though false positives do exist, so in order to fire someone legally (in Europe anyhow) they have to send it off for gas chromatography / mass spectrometer testing (aka GCMS) to be sure.

It's just that it's never done without telling the subject about it. Sometimes you have to ask, because they don't necessarily come forward with it, but unless you live in a police state asking will hardly hurt you.

Yeah I know how it's supposed to work, just seems odd to me that a research biologist under suspicion of smoking on the same day as his review (or whatever it was) would be so willing to be tested and that this HR dept would argue that it wouldn't do any good.

Maybe he was being asinine and meant that you can't find actual marijuana leaves in his urine.

>killing brain cells such as marijuana

Jesus christ there's still people who believe all that racist bullshit propoganda from the 50s?!

Yeah! Because stoners in their 30's are real renaissance men.

Huh? I don't quite understand you.

>>82163
Have you ever met an old stoner that moved at speed, both mentally and physically?
>> Moonmauler !!LgNbdvCFAuN
>>82164
Oh I get it. You're one of those people who thinks Cannabis causes permanent mental impairment. Anyway to answer your question...

My dad. The dude goes to the gym 6 days a week and works as a head pharmacist on average 60 hours a week. Also one of my psychology professors, who has a Ph.D and has been doing clinical work since the 50s has smoked more weed than I can imagine. Yeah, he does move pretty slowly and weakly but I think that has more to do with him being almost 80 years old than anything else.

So you're bringing me anecdotal evidence? I thought perhaps you may have had a study or something.

Also, take your pretentious "Oh I get it" and shove it up your ass.

The anecdotal evidence I've provided is at least better than the no evidence at all you've provided. None the less

Just thought I'd point this out, but you ASKED me for anecdotal evidence. I simply answered your question.

Great. Thank you. But in every study, even the ones you've linked to, there is mention of short-term memory loss. Do the studies state emphatically that the short-term memory loss is not permanent or that with long-term use short term memory is not affected in a sober state? Not one.

Agreed. Still, you're supposed to outdo your competition.

>None of the neuropsychological test data indicated impairment of cognitive functioning. Language areas of function, nonlanguage areas of function, memory, complex multimodal learning, and general level of intellectual functioning were all completely unimpaired, compared with standardized-normative information available for each test (Table 1).

>While several previous studies have reported transient cognitive impairment resulting from the acute effects of cannabis, primarily with respect to attention-concentration and visuomotor (hand-eye) coordination (8, 9, 22, 23), none of the studies involving prolonged and heavy use of ganja have shown any systematic decrements in mental abilities suggestive of impairment of brain or cerebral function and cognition (14).
