I'm skinny, not like normal skinny, but like ethiopian skinny. I eat like a mother fucker and and I used to work out a LOT but never could seem to gain any weight at all.

Anyone out there willing to help a stick fag out ? Not looking to get HEUG, but like, a lean build.

Get some heavy weights, start lifting upper body. You'll bulk up with muscle, and muscle is heavier than fat.

Push-ups, crunches. Fuck running and cardio for the time being, you want to keep energy in your body not burn it off.

Eat healthy, which means food with good amounts of protein in it not just goddamn cereal and bread rolls.

Stop running, you've probably already got really good cardio. Go to a gym or buy some heavy weights, you can get a full body workout with bodyweight exercises and a few dumbbells.

Eat a LOT. 6-8 medium sized meals a day, focusing mostly on 1/3 veggies and 2/3 meat. Carbs only in the morning, as in cereal or a muffin or something.

Iceberg lettuce (the kind found in burgers) shouldn't be considered a vegetable; it's just water and a bit of chlorophyll. The darker, the better (broccoli, spinach, kale, asparagus, etc).

Protein powder. Add some to a glass of milk in the morning and suck it down, do this twice a day until you start getting gains.

a main misconception with Hardgainers is that they feel as though they eat alot. i'm a hardgainer myself and i know i had this mentality before i bulked up. but looking back and counting the calories i actually DID consume back when i was skinny revealed to me that i was consuming very little calories. the only reason i felt as though i ate alot was because i ate small portions throughout the day and actually felt full from them because i seem to have a stomach with a low capacity.

anyways, OP, don't concentrate on having a lean build just yet. just lift some heavy weights and eat like a madman every 2-3 hours to put on some size first.

what means you eat like a motherfucker? did you count calories?
stop running, swimming, biking, increase calories a lot (not only from one source) and be patient and focused

i think you are ectomorph, eat more fat (not saturated from junk food) your body type can handle it

Very similar to OP's case. I used to do a lot of swimming a few years ago, but never did gain much body weight. Now i want to start working out and gaining some weight, but i have no idea where to start. Any ideas on what to do, without having to go out and buying weights/joining a gym right away?
