Uh, from someone with very loose ankles: I'm not sure what official treatment is, but generally ice, and strap it for support - but not too often as this can lead to weakening of the ankle. I roll mine fairly often but generally the pain ebbs away after a while. If it's serious then follow RICE, and I'm not sure what else you can do past that.
