I jump rope religiously, sometimes between sets of bodyparts that i want to define more (back, delts, triceps in particular). Great cardio exercise, helps with coordination, speed, and horizontal cuts if you play a sport that requires such. Personally, just bought a leather weighted Weider rope from a store yesterday, straightening it over my door after dousing with water.
tl;dr: Good choice, anon. And land on your toes for most benefit-really kills your calves, and allows you to build up speed-kind of like sprinting on your toes as opposed to running flatfooted.
