Hey /fit/ I was wondering if I am overworking in weight lifting? I do about 6-7 sets of heavy lifting of each muscle type, and by the end im on the floor panting and can't really move for about 20 minutes. The next day I am sore all over and it's been like that for basicly after every workout.I've gone down from 198 pounds to 168 in about 5 months but I still can't really see that much muscle (for example my abs have the curve and on the sides of them theres empty space, I can feel them but it's like one solid piece). Same thing for my arms: I can kinda see the muscle outline but it's just still hidden by what I assume is fat.Should I read up more on what cutting is? I'm eating a lot of protein and salad (basicly my diet for the last 4 months) along with only water and vitamins. Thanks
>>433978Thank you reading right now.
Also my hands have blisters from where i lift. It's like completely hard as rocks. Should I be worried about them getting an infection and is there anything I can do to minimize them (or are they necessary?).My workout for the last 5 months is basically the first time in my life that I had physical activity. I've complete cut out candy/chips/fast food out of my diet.
>>433980Indeed, you burned fat rather than build muscle. Just overhaul your training so you don't continue to destroy your body.
>>433993Do I need to eat more meat or just eat more meals throughout the day? I'm not really sure how to count calories:Breakfast: water and oatmealLunch: ny steak, salad and waterDinner: I dont really eat dinner. Just some fruit.
>Then I take my free bar and I do 4-5 sets of 7-8 dead lifts (I think). I raise the bar to my hips and then raiase itike a curl but I keep my hands facing over the bar instead of down.that's not a dead lifta dead lift needs to be way heavierthere should be no fucking way of you curling your deadlift
>>433997You want to build muscle, yes? Maybe your diet needs change, but the real issue is changing your workout to a high-stress, low frequency pattern.
>>434009If I use higher weights and do lower reps I just don't feel the same burn. I just cant lift anymore after 4-5 times and I feel like I got nothing out of it.
>>434012>just cant lift anymore after 4-5 timesThat's sort of the point. You have to actually hit your limit until you can't lift. Then stop. The next day you workout, you go past that limit.
>>434012the burn does nothing
nobody should cut at 168lbs
