So, /fit/.

A couple months ago, my butt broke out with acne. Showering or exercising seemed to make it worse, but since I have to do both, there was nothing I could do about it. Anyway, I was put on Doryx (an antibiotic0 for my facial acne -- which has since subsided -- and my posterier seemed to clear.

However, recently the right side only has broken out worse than ever. Though no one can see it, I'm embarrassed and depressed. Is there anything that could have caused this, and similarly, is there anything I could do to treat it?

I'm 20, so it seems that new breakout spots should be unlikely.

my gf has something similar. It turned out that she was literally allergic to exercise. Something to do w/ lactic acid or something. Anyway if she doesn't take Alevert b4 doing anything active then her thighs break out in hives.
She also started taking rly rly short showers because it causes her skin to get kinda red and break out in hives also.

shit sux, mang.

I'd just get an acne scrub, or whatever you do to your face (topical creams or soaps) you should apply to your ass.

Pic related. It's my ass. TMI, but it might help.

Shouldn't be, since for 99.99 percent of my life I've been able to exercise with no problem. You're generally born with allergies, right?

Those actually make it worse. Basically anything touching it will make it worse, even mild soap.

Not exactly, you get allergies after your first exposure to the thing you're allergic to. The immune system malfunctions in its attempt to fight it.

Does it make it worse if you clean then moisturize with something non-comedogenic?

Never tried it there, but I'm afraid to.

Moisturizer has always made me break out. I eventually stopped using it on my face and it helped my acne clear up. My skin stopped getting so dry, too.

I think it might have something to do with my hair. Compared to the left side, the small vellus hairs on my right seem rough, almost as if they're growing in the wrong direction.

I am taking shorter showers with colder water, like>>375055's girlfriend, which seems to help a bit. Still, it's getting worse, not better :/

Eczema

Look into it. I'm not positive that you have it, but it could be. My girlfriend's got it bad.

If you care that much, just go get a nude solarium tan, you won't be able to notice the spots. Or go on accutane, but if you're embarrassed and depressed about something that lame you're only going to get more depressed while you're on the medication, which can be for a year (also, if it affects you like it did me, you'll wake up every morning, and during the night, with your eyes crusted over and feeling like there's sand in them, you won't be able to focus on anything for more than a few seconds, your lips will crack and bleed, and your liver will hurt)

Lol, a dematologist would never give me accutane, unless I perhaps found the most corrupt man in the business.

I got my Doryx from a nurse who worked at a laser skin care center, and even she wouldn't prescribe it.

I got eczema-like rashes easily from heat, but they go away within an hour or so. Possibly rosacea.
