Hi /fit/

I don't think I'm fat, although my stomach's at the fringes of being flabby. I'm 5'8" clocking in at about 149lbs. It's not only a bloated-up self-image, though - it's the truth.

I live in a dormitory right now, and it's not affordable buying veggies and preparing meals all the time (not to mention that it is also inconvenient). Since I have no choice, I have to eat at fastfoods like McDonalds and KFC. To counterbalance this, I only eat twice a day, and I try my best to purchase fresh juice as well as take my supplements.

It's hard to exercise given the hectic schedule I'm having right now, however, but I'm relatively still toned.

(Sorry for the introduction.)

Guys, I want my stomach to be less fat. It's not flabby, but I want to tone my abs or be given recipes to food that's proven healthy that can help tone it. Any exercises or foods you'd like to suggest? I'm welcome for any suggestions.

Thanks.

Instead of fast food. Buy some stuff at the grocery store, and when you want to eat, throw together a nice sandwich. Skip the mayo and stuff though, those aren't healthy.

How many calories does a meal in KFC have? In McDonalds? I mean one that's filling, not just a burger and fries.

I think I agree with this. But I don't know

Avoid fast food, , isn't there a cafeteria nearby that you could eat at? There has to be some better source of food that is near to you.

Also you should be eating more meals. If you only eat twice a day, your body spikes right after you eat then it drops off the rest of the day until you eat again. This causes your body to try to store the excess energy and you have a harder time getting rid of fat. You need to have several small meals a day, to keep your energy at an even level throughout the day.

Also, juice tends to be high in sugars. Make sure you check the label so that you aren't drinking a fruit flavored candy bar.

a burger and fries are filling... Thats why it is a meal.

mustard is actually healthy for you. It has no fat, and only 5 calories.

OP here.

So how do I start?

I mean, what times of day should I eat and what should I eat as well? It's a great suggestion, but I'm clueless, and Google offers a lot of BS.

8 minute abs every day. Seriously. After a couple of months, you'll have a nice stomach.

Start when you get up. You have two options, eat a decent breakfast or squeeze a quick workout in and then have a decent breakfast. Go with how you feel and how hungry you are. Then eat a sensible meal every few hours. Look at how your schedule is and how hungry you are. I'd say if you can get a meal or healthy snack in about every four hours you should be pretty good.

If you can manage to do something like a medium breakfast, small snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner, evening snack then you should be able to keep your energy pretty even throughout the day. Don't make any of the meals super huge, you don't want to eat until you are entirely full, go for a regular amount that will give you enough energy for what you are doing.

Like I said earlier, look for someplace that can offer you a good meal at times when your schedule permits it, and if you can get to a grocery and pick up some fruit or healthy type snack foods then you should be okay. Read the labels and find healthy foods that you'll enjoy.

Also exercise, full body to start and lose the bits of fat that you do have, and then focus on the parts you want to improve and you should see your abs like you want.

If you can make time for it 6 meals a day with a meal every 3 hours. Portion size should be about as big as your open hand.

Also drink plenty of water (carry a bottle and refill it at taps, dont buy bottled)

Yeah, but can someone give a recipe? You guys, I know you're all correct, but I want to start properly. Any recipes?

As an early breakfast, for example. what would make a good one? Bread and cheese? Bread with lettuce (but it's going to be tasteless)?
