Dear /fit/,

Hi. My period starts in a day or so, and I'm feeling really bloated. I've been drinking a shitload of cranberry juice, but it's only worked a little bit. What can I eat/drink to help get rid of this excess water, and what should/shouldn't I eat to start retaining pounds of water in the first place?

In before salt.

Drink a cup of coffee in the morning and ten glasses of water for the three days before and first day of your period.

Works like a charm.

Also, going on the pill helps reduce bloating.

Seconded. Excercise is extremely beneficial when you're on the rag- reduces pain from cramping, helps get rid of edema, makes you feel a fuckload less like a fat tub of crap. Go for a jog, femanon!
