can someone clue me in on who this guy is?

Getting a gymnists body is a lot like a military physique, you do bodyweight exercises and only gain muscle that comes from that. It's the quality of muscle over the size with gymnists
>> Anonymous
>>296392
talking out of your ass its their CNS which is developed, allowing a large recruitment and coordination potential. If you wanna do crazy flips and shit be a gymnast, if you wanna be strong enough to squat 800 lbs, do squats

Hurr durr durr. Except no. Most Gymnist's can't squat 800 pounds. You're just being retards because all you know how to do is lift. So let me break it down for you.

There are multiple muscle fibres that compose the muscle, and different kinds of exercise hit these differently. The problem with most weight lifters is that the primarily work on raw power, while falling behind on strength-endurance, prolonged strength, and explosive strength. I.E., doing lots of reps of something, holding something heavy for a long period of time, and shit like clap pushups.

Derpaderpderp. Come back when you've done something other then stronglifts

this man speaks the truth, theres a good chance a regular power lifter/bodybuilder most likely even tho they can lift 500+ lb on a bench or a bar but dont have the core strength to keep there own body's parallel like in OP's picture. what it come down do is how you train; your body will adapt and change to do whats nessesary. all a powerlifter would need to do is focus on a different type of movement like gymnasts and there body's would adapt and eventually be capable of it. but power lifters simply specialize in the main lifts and don't have any interest in what gymnasts do

I never said GYMNASTS could...
>You're just being retards because all you know how to do is lift.
huh? I said they are well conditioned and their central nervous system is adapted for the techinques they employ

>There are multiple muscle fibres that compose the muscle, and different kinds of exercise hit these differently.
agreed, I already know this
>The problem with most weight lifters is that the primarily work on raw power, while falling behind on strength-endurance, prolonged strength, and explosive strength. I.E., doing lots of reps of something, holding something heavy for a long period of time, and shit like clap pushups.
You are retarded if you think people can get to be high level weightlifters without power (they often use resistance bands in tandem with the bar to drill for this). Many advanced lifters and all strong men competitors train for all of these aspects of strength.

>Derpaderpderp. Come back when you've done something other then stronglifts
Come back when you can avoid being infantile and making incorrect assumptions.

Yes, but the variations they do of simple movements like the L-sit, pushups, pullups and dips are so obscenely difficult that most people simply don't have the time or energy to invest in it. Try doing a muscle up, dragon flag or handstand pushup sometime and you'll see what I mean.

Their physiques are impressive, but it's a side effect of performance-oriented training. And they do tend to be pretty small.

If you want to learn to do sweet tricks and bodyweight stunts, look up:

Otherwise a simple routine (5x5, WS4SB, etc) and a good diet will suffice.
