So /fit/,

What's your favorite exercise at the gym, and how much can you do of it?

I finish up half of the gym at the gym with pull ups. I can do about a 6 rep with an added 25lbs, trying to get to the point where I can do a few with a 35, then 45... and so on. My goal is to do (still far ahead...) double my weight, but that will require the extra 165lbs on the belt and lot of patience while I'm getting there. I think it's a good goal because it will be a while before I get there

OP here (typo): ...half of the time at the gym...

unassisted dips and pullups. My gym is super fucking casual so everyone else who uses this machine seems to use the weighted assist. Feels good man.

"Only?" If you haven't done weightlifting at all before, then you're either lying or have extremely good genetics (and still then, something is going on). You'd start out at something like 30 POUNDS on your first week

Oh wow that was totally off, sorry. I meant 25kg. Pretty embarassing.

Feels excruciatingly painful, man.

Stupid question: when you split jerk, do you put your "worst" leg behind you?

Ideally that is what is thought as best, that's what a coach would typically teach. So if you're just starting I would suggest getting into the practice of having your stronger leg forward.

Me personally, my stronger leg is behind me. That's just how I do it. I feel I can get more range and better flexibility that way. It's different for everyone, just do what works for you and feels best.
