I am 5'3 and currently 125lbs. I know I'm fat, /fit/, but I don't know how to lose the weight. Most of the suggestions for people here are to bulk up and shit, but I don't want a lot of muscle (as little as possible, really) because I'm a girl. I just want to lose all the extra weight.

How do I go about losing weight without gaining a lot of muscle? I just want to be skinny.

A woman must push out 2x the weight a man does in order to attain the same muscle gain. I.e a man benching 100pound = woman benching 200pound.

Taking into the fact that you're looking for advice on here means you're probably lazy and therefor don't have what it takes to push yourself TWICE as hard as a male therfor you don't have to worry about gaining muscle.

Do low-moderate intensity cardio (1hour) prior to breakfast, and high intensity in the afternoon (heartrate over 160 for 15-30mins).

I felt the same way before I realized what a moron I was being. You need lean muscle mass to help speed up your metabolism, thus buring off all that FAT you want to get rid of.
Eat a high protein, high fiber diet and do compound exercises like pullups, pushups, situps, squats and do a little cardio like running 2-3 times a week.

THERE IS NO GETTING AROUND THIS.
You will not be healthy if you starve yourself. End the end, it will just make you fat once you DO eat.

pretty simple, eat less move more = lose fat and/or muscle

caloric surplus: eat more but clean like the other skank said, high protein high fiber(veggies mothafucka) and you will put on lean muscle mass, which in turn will burn more calories overall

that being said you don't lose weight or fat when you gain muscle, that's why you hear guys talk about cutting or bulking

you do 1 or the other, if you have some fat you want to get rid of go ahead and knock that out if you desperately want it gone ASAP, then put on some muscle mass by doing bodyweight/weight lifitng exercises

but you prolly wont do any of that and just end up being a uninformed dumb hoodrat dieting skank

You won't get "big". It's extremely difficult for the average guy to get big let alone a girl. The crazy bodybuilding people use all kinds of supps and steroids and have been doing it for 5-10+ years.

You won't get bulky by lifting weights but there are so many benefits such as increased metabolism immediately and overall later on with a higher Base metabolic rate. Having the lean muscle will make you look fantastic not to mentions squats will give you killer shapely legs and ass.

Deadlift wouldn't hurt either.

You'll be able to eat more and lose fat at the same time. It's not healthy for humans to go low calorie. higher calorie with good muscle mass and low body fat % gives your body a much better look and is healthier.
