Hey /fit/,

Ive been going to the gym pretty obsessively these past two weeks

about 4 hrs a day, 6 days per week

but now im sore...

really sore

apparantly i dont have enough protein in my diet.

I remember awhile ago, my friend made some oatmeal-like cookies, and had put some of that protein and fiber powder in it.

Would that really work?

What the fuck? FOUR HOURS a day?

You're overtraining hugely. A workout should be no longer than about one hour, and you should have a days rest in between workouts.

you forget that he's probably taking like 5-10 minute breaks in between...even still, take a rest every other day...seriously...it'll help...adding protein to your diet won't help with your recovery, but it WILL, however, help with your muscle gain. Even still...going every day is counter-productive because all you're doing is tearng your muscles down and not allowing them to heal. You won't gain physical strength this way unless you're on steroids.

im not really working on muscle gain, but i heard protein helps recover. (tell me if im wrong)

ive been mainly running.

trying to lose the fat b4 gaining muscle.
i do however lift a productive hour though.

so, maybe the question should now be, what should i eat for running/cutting?

Firstly, it's better to gain muscle before trying to burn fat. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be.

Secondly, the best way to burn fat is to do HIIT as often as possible, which takes about 10-15 minutes a day.

As for what you should eat, anything with a high protein content is good. Eggs, chicken, rice, etc

oh well if you're looking to recover faster (i'm assuming right after a workout) drink something to regain electrolytes (i.e gatorade) but dont get into the habit of drinking these alot

You're fucking overtraining your muscles and getting exactly the opposite than what you want

Rice has a lot of protein? O_o;;

I'm thinking like... four grams per serving, but not to the amount of chicken, etc.

who the nigger fuck runs for 3 hours

There's no point in being in the gym for more than an hour, dipshit.

OP, you don't need any more protein, you're just not lifting enough. Add two more hours to your lifting routine and do it every day for rapid results. You'll be looking like Ahnold in no time.
