Drinking too many Protien Shakes? Ultranic
Hey /fit/

I’m 5’7, 150lbs and I eat four medium sized meals a deal with many protein shakes in-between (like four throughout the day; trying to bulk up) and I was wondering. Can drinking too many protein shakes be a bad thing when you are trying to gain bulk? I mean does having too many throughout a day have any adverse effects? Will I be passing kidney stones or something if I keep drinking too many? My friend thinks so.

Also how bad are those Nestle Carnation drinks (picture related) for your body? I drink about two of those a day due to the vitamin content at work because they are free and are a quick way to increase how much food I eat without making me feel groggy, but I hear they are actually pretty bad for you. What kind of bad effects can I expect if I drink two of those a day five days a week?

I'll get a fatass or I'll be a fatass? I doubt either of those will happen. I'm more worried about how it may effect my organs.

Depends how old you are
if your under 18, than you definitely should not be drinking 4 protein shakes a day

I'm actually not taking in enough calories I think, so I drink protein shakes to supplement the food I fail to eat when I dont feel hungry.

What is a good recommended protein shake intake? I drink usually powdered protien mixed with either water or milk (usually water, I'm not a big fan of dairy)
