i didn't really keep a set routine the whole time, it has just evolved. i started with small changes in diet like snacking on vegetables with dressing instead of chips and eventually dropped the dressing. now i eat tons of lean meats, protein, pb&j, oats, peppers etc. i try to keep it around 2000 calories, but when i was losing the most weight i was at about 1300-1500. exercise i started with walking, then started on the elliptical machine, then started running on a trail, then started on a regimen that i've been following. i got a weight bench about three months ago and have been doing a varied bunch of exercises with it. oh, and some p90x for good measure.
