Uh, no. Jumping jacks don't work very many muscles at all.

Cardio is the most effective when it affects multiple muscle groups. This is why running is the best cardio. It works every single leg muscle in unison, as well as the core and the arms if you're pumping properly.

If you lack equipment and such, just go outside and run. Way better than JJs. Do shit like JJs for warming up your heart and lungs.

Lots of things get your heart pumping. Your heart pumps the most when you work out a lot of body parts at the same time or reach a certain level of intensity.

If you go running, you work out tons of muscles at once, as I said before. This is necessary for "good" cardio. Cycling is also good. Swimming is, despite what a lot of people think, very bad cardio.
