I wouldn't recommend it, but you can try rotating between high calorie and low calorie days to increase weightloss while maintaining enough protein for muscle growth. Uh when i tried this i failed LOL - but i was never good at following diets anyway, so gl to you.
Anyway last school year (soph yr at college) I finally went to the school gym with a buddy. Before I weighed in at 215 and on the last day of the semester I weighed in at 203 (my height is 6'0). You may not think this is such a big accomplishment, but my bench went from 90 to 250, squat 115 to 275, and deadlift from 135 to 440. Btw i'm not a powerlifter - I just don't go for mass and strength. So I guess in the end I lost some fat, but the real deal is that I also gained alot of muscle and you can really see and feel the difference
