Muscle but mostly fat.

I'm trying to play Football this fall and Wrestling this Winter and been told that I have to lose 50 pounds. Is it possible to lose 25 of those pounds in the summer by dieting and working out? What kind of work outs and diets would work to get it?

How good would Cardio for an hour work in losing weight?

Yes it is.

What you can do is common knowledge, but the real problem is you having the willpower to drag your lazy unmotivated ass to do it.

Simply don't eat or drink sugary/fatty foods and do cardio every day. Running, biking, swimming, walking up and down stairs for 20mins. Yeah, that's all it would take is 20 mins a day and not eating 2 bags of chips or 10 cans of pop a day.

All this has been said about a million times on this board. Congrats, you win a prize for being the millionth lazy, unmotivated bum to think coming to a board and asking the same thing that's been asked 999,999 times before would somehow give you the courage to do something about your fat ass.

I hope it works out for you.

Not good. Just trains your body to store fat. Try HIIT.

155 pounds for football?

Are you trying out as a kicker or still playing in Pee-wee?

Lose 25 by Fall, 50 by Winter

I'm in the same problem, just 6'2, 240lb, and airforce not football.

I'm doing an hour or more of walking and 15-30 min weight lifting, as well as much less food (I already didn't eat junk food or drink soda)

I'm also taking fish oil pills. Anything else?

Is the 25 lbs possible in 2 and a half months of working at it? It does seem a little bit farfetch'd.
