/fit/, I wanted to ask a few questions about the regime I've been doing lately. I've actually picked up a version of DDR for my 360, and I really don't mind it because it gives A) a lot of room for improvement/moving up levels, and lots of different options, I also play it wearing ankle weights and a 3lb dumbell in each hand. I work 5-6 hours a day, and it's a constant standing/running around job, I sometimes take the 45 minute walk to and from because I like that as well. I really just want some good on the go snacks or recipes other /fit/ people have to keep me from snacking, and I want to know /fit/s opinions on the ddr workout with the weights.

Oh, yeah, sorry.
I'm 5'2, 114 lbs and I do the DDR at least four times a week, I work at a very busy restaurant, so I'm going for like I said, about 5-6 hours a day and I get pretty tired by the end of my shift. So I'm not over weight or anything, there's just a little winter fat I'd like to get off.
Girl here for the record.

I would say don't use ankle weights. From what I've seen DD + ankle weights = ankle problems. There used to be a huge thread about that on ddrfreak.

I personally play DDR and lost a ton of weight, but it took me like 2 years. I wasn't playing to lose weight, though. I used to be ~260 now I'm 195. I'd say DDR was responsible for about 40 lbs of that loss.

I got a lot more health conscious over the last year or so and watch my diet and I run a few miles a day.

Ohh, okay, I'll take a break from ankle weights then because I really don't want to have to deal with the problems later on. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Good on the go snacks:
70% (or more) dark chocolate, quells sugar craving
Carrots w/ dip (try to find low fat dip)
Fried beans w/ tabasco
Atkins protein bar (see pic)

Thanks. I'll share that for lunch I've been making some boneless and skinless chicken breasts for a few days ahead, a light marinade and some herbs just seared on both sides and broiled in the oven. It's awesome making a wrap (sundried tomato, or whole wheat with some lettuce, a bit of mozza from skim and veggies, I really like bean sprouts/peppers and stuff.
