B12-vitamin. That's the only nutrition that is somewhat hard to get by on a vegan diet, and if your body runs out of B12, your memory will take some (temporary) damage.
This happens to bums sometimes, because alcohol breaks down the B12 in your body.
On a normal, vegan diet, with some B12-pills, you have NO long term health risks.
I've been vegan for 5 years (I know, not a long time) and I feel absolutely great. I also don't drink or smoke, and I exercise 5 times a week, cycling anywhere I want to go. I feel strong, I'm lean, and I build muscle pretty fast. Good luck to those of you considering veganism!
