After a while the muscles won't get sore, but they are still tired and need rest from time to time. Try to use the "grease the groove" method with pull-ups. Over the course of the day, do many series of pull-ups with repetitions that your are comfortable with - about 60-70% of how much you can do in one go. Go for 10 series if possible.. Your arms should be sour the next day. Also google grease the groove for more info.
