Your stomach's probably full but you just feel hungry so you eat anyway. I have a similar issue, everytime I eat or even drink something, I feel ridiculously bloated.

I'm gonna have to go with your insulin is spiking because you've been stuffing your face your entire life with carbs and it's finally caught up to you. Congratulations, you gave your self (pre-)diabetes

I get hit by food coma once in a while, try not to have too long gaps between meals where you don't eat anything and then just stuff your face. Your body gets dumped with sugar.

Also, odds are you aren't carb intolerant. You would honestly notice something like that (passing a lot of gas, undigested foods in your stool, etc).

poliquin reccomends eating a lot of toast and maple syrup at breakfast on an empty stomach. you pass out two hours later then bingo.

You guys do realize that diagnosing someone with diabetes because they experience food coma is like quarantining a child because they sneezed.

Uhh, food coma? Is that like when you feel like falling asleep right after a big meal?
>> Anonymous
Try eating low-carb, see if the coma happens.

Most likely it's due to a sugar crash.
