I bought a bag of plain Ruffles a week ago and decided to eat some yesterday. These were plain, and far from expiry date, so I had no concern. I eat them all the time, too. Now, I have no allergies that I'm aware of (except for bee stings), but I ate one chip and my mouth almost instantly burst into flames. It was so intense the heat, it was like I was eating spicy chips, but worse. I thought nothing of it, and swallowed it.I could feel the heat descend into my body. I threw the rest out and could feel my throat swelling. I took some anti inflammatory pills and it didn't go away. It was burning really bad. I could not breathe. I dialed 911 and from what the medical personnel told me, I blacked out.I'm alright now, and it turns out I'm allergic to shellfish, something I've fortunately never had the pleasure of having before. How it got into the Ruffles I have no idea, but I am contacting the company and filing a claim against them.I just want to issue a warning to you who eat Ruffles. The bag was manufactured early September 7th, so if you have any lying around, don't eat it.
Big whoop, I love shellfish.
YOUR FAULT FOR BEING ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH
you've never tried shellfish? Not one shrimp? Never were curious why ppl love lobster? Underage b& or food rube. Either way, fail.
>>385164Well, I've hat crab meat before, and have it all the time. Never gives me a reaction at all.
