Hey /fit/

Lately I haven't been able to concentrate on my school work and other things. I need motivation and I was wondering if you guys knew of any exercises for the brain that would allow me open my mind a little more to letting new knowledge in.

I'm in my second semester of college taking Anatomy and two English classes. I get distracted by porn and video games often. Halp.

think about how shit your life will be if you continue to play video games and watch porn instead of getting qualifications and a chance of a decent job. simple.

if you don't have the motivation to do your classes you're wasting your time and other people's. maybe you should switch to classes that interest you more..

That's pretty much it, the Anatomy class I chose on a whim, but I'm thinking about just dropping it altogether.

It's been going on for a while, I always find it hard to concentrate on school work. I'm smart enough to do it, I just have trouble concentrating. It feels like my brain is full to the brim with random shit and can't take anymore new information.

I recently downloaded a game on the PSP called Brain Trainer or something
The initial test gives you your 'brain age' (the idea is to get it to match your actual age)
I consider myself pretty smart, but the initial test gave me a score of 41 (I'm 23)
Devastated, I played with these brain exercises at work and have since been bettering my score.
Im sure the interwebs would have a similar online game/test you can do.

OP here, thanks /fit/

I bought the My Word Coach game for my DS and I'm also thinking about picking up the Brain Age games as well.

not OP but I scored at my age lvl for pretty much everything except separating speech from background noise. i got a -5.4 for that which is what a person over 60 years of age would get. I think that's caused by my having meningitis a few year back. I'm having the same problems that the OP is having though which means problems paying attention in class unless we're doing something with our hands.

Since I'm an EE student it's important that I pay attention to the lecture. Is there anyway to up my concentration while I'm in one?

Unfortunately I don't think that diagnosis you came up with is accurate. While I am mostly solitary in my life and have trouble keeping my concentration those things have little to do with being autistic.

I'll ask my question again. Does anyone know ways of keeping their focus on a lecture when they're completely bored?
