Pay attention to form. Muscular imbalances are one of the hardest things to spot, especially by yourself. Snag someone and ask them to monitor your technique, they should be able to spot right away what you are doing, ie tilting too much with your weak side, not going far enough down, etc.
I also find that dumbells let your body's natural tendencies take over, which is sometimes a good thing and a bad thing. I'd switch over to a barbell until you even out.
