I'm sure you guys get asked this question a hundred times a day, but what is a good workout plan to lose some weight?
I'm 18, 175-180 pounds, 5'7" or 5'8". I go to college, UC Davis, so I ride a bike everywhere. I figure this is good to get rid of the fat on my legs, which I think it has done a little, but I still have a belly of fat. What are some workouts I could do at the gym here to get rid of this shit?

id say squats but im a newfag

if youre riding your bike everywhere, chances are your cardio should be okay, weight training is a good way to go, i like to think starting off your day with a workout is best, ive always paid more attention in class and ate better throughtout the day, and youve had a good day you could end it witha second workout.
more muscles you work the better =more calories burned
the bigger teh muscles worked the better = more human growth hormone released(muscle growth/maybe repair)
more muscle you have the more calories burned at rest to maintain the muscle cell (adipose tissue(fat) requires very little calories, muscles need more)

besides the more mass you have the fitter you look.
get mass than cut
thats why squats, pullups, lunges, benchpressing and free weights would be teh way to go

correct me if im wrong, im no trainer
