/fit/, my mate is about to start doing some benchpressing today for the first time

He's a realtively fit guy, works on his biceps, upper body and arms a few times a week. Good cardio fitness too.

What's generally a good starting weight for him on the benchpress?

Worst advice I've ever seen on this board. 180? When this is his FIRST benchpress? Doesn't matter how tough your biceps and arms might be, starting an exercise as taxing as the bench where muscles need to work in a very different way to other exercises with such a huge weight is a stupid idea.
