What's the best way to take off the unnecessary beefy muscle that I acquired from bodybuilding? I want to be skinny, strong, and mean before I enlist in the Marine Corps. I weigh 210, 6 feet even, probably around 18-20% BF.

Pic related, this is how I look except no where near as much definition

Corps is big on CF. Ease into it, throw in CFE for running/swimming/rowing workouts. Have fun at PI

Were you bulking before? I guess you overconsumed sometimes and got your bodyfat% too high. Just do a simple cut man. Find out your BMR, subtract 500, and try to eat around that many calories a day, and try doing cardio while still lifting. If you don't see any results, try to eat 100 less calories or try cardio harder.

Eat like a nerd, and sit on your ass.

I have a passing understanding of how the main site Crossfit works, but do you happen to know what would cause a foul in CFE?

Lol I was in a constant bulking state. My only goal for a year was to get BIG. I've cut my portions significantly already so that'll help shrink me down. I guess I just need to do a lot more cardio (both kinds, long runs and HIIT) or start something like CFE.

foul is when you puss out on your intervals, they aren't always posted on the WODs but look out for when they are...

ie: if you don't hold the same pace (or <3-5 second difference, depending on what is specified) on each 400m then you have "fouled". if you foul twice, do the burpees/pullups/etc twice, same for 3 times, etc.

Oh ok thx, I'm actually thinking about starting CFE. I guess I should just jump in and have a whack at it.

You could also start focusing more on higher reps of body weight exercises like pullups and pushups. Take a look at the marine's PT requirements while you're at it too.
