Dear /fit/,Are ankle/wrist weights a good idea to just wear around all day? Is there a risk of injury or anything?
If you don't land right you break your ankle, and my ankles hurt like shit after jogging with them on.Otherwise you burn more calories and all that.
Note that I'm not necessarily talking about exercise, but just wearing them while doing regular stuff.Like. . .if I'm on my feet all day at work, would ankle weights kill me?
>>22146Nope.
>>22146they're bad for your joints.
>>22146Depends, what are the weights made of, any trans-uranic with an enrichment of or exceeding 14.0 atom% is a no-no.
you realize that in DBZ where you are drawing this fantasy from they had much heavier weights and it was evenly distributed over the whole body....just use them when you exercise... without risking injury the amount of weights you will be using for "every day activity" wont be enough to actually make you alot stronger.
>>22163totally beat me too it
>>22163>>22181I was thinking more along the lines of HunterXHunter, not fagot DBZ.
anyone else thinking maybe some...goku? or maybe....rock lee here? just a thought
ankle weights are awful for you, and will screw up your running form. don't wear them around all day.if you need extra challenge while running, vary your speed or run hills.

I was thinking more along the lines of "i saw them in Target and wondered if they were worthwhile".
