Hello /fit/. I've been working out lately just using five pound weights for around an hour in a multitude of ways. I combine this with push ups. It's nothing major right now and I'm severly out of weight. I am about to move out and since I'll be going to school and have a job, I was considering getting a home workout center. Is there one that /fit/ recommends that maybe he or she uses? Also note that I'd prefer not spending a great deal if possible. Also, other suggestions? Thank you.

tl;dr - Should I get a fitness center for one of my rooms or seek something alternative?

If you don't want to spend lots of money, don't buy one. They also space because they are xbox huge. There are plenty of ways to work out without any equipment. You can do bodyweight exercises or high intensity aerobics or lots of other stuff without spending a single dollar.

You could also try those resistance bands.

eBay an olympic weight bench and weight set or look in your local newspaper for one. You can get a nice freeweight set for pretty cheap, but if it has to ship, you'll probably be tacking on a good 1-200 bucks.

Or just get a Bowflex. They don't exactly provide accurate weight, but they are damned close to freeweights and pretty fun to use.
