The best choice I ever made with my bowflex: sold it on craigslist for 100 dollars more than I bought it

My university gym=free, bowflex is a terrible choice for anyone to make and I pity the man who buys one
>> Anonymous
>>423288
than why did you have it in the first place?
>> Anonymous
>>423295

Are you retarded? A mind is for learning, and that's what I did, obviously the motive for me selling it was that I learned it's a shitty piece of equipment
>> Anonymous
>>423302
youre pretty stupid for buying it in the first place. and stupid for not knowing how to use it
>> Anonymous
>>423302
how does it suck?
i heard the tension isn't the same throughout the range of motion

boo hoo freeweightfag is still thinking its 1982
>> Anonymous
>>423367

Yeah, human physiology has come a long way since then.

Machinefag doesn't understand why weight machines exist, how they came to be the prevalent form of resistance training, or why they are vastly inferior to free weight exercises. It fills me with joy knowing you'll never really accomplish anything in the gym.

bowflex has constant resistance and tension idiot
and freewieght barbells have LIMITED mobility, unlike machines you see at your local gym
>> Anonymous
>>423976
Really? I've always used freeweights because I thought they had much more mobility and thus required greater control to use properly.

I've always found that free weights were much more effective than machines, especially when it comes to "complex" stuff because of my height (5'6") and short arms... it's almost impossible to use a machine comfortably.

The only machines I use are: rowing, treadmills, bikes, and something like a bike, but for your hands.

You're either trolling or stupid. Either way, it fills me with joy knowing you'll never really accomplish anything in the gym.

free weights for life.

Machines are for suckers, or when you just want to leg press or something.

http://www.mens-total-fitness.com/does-the-bowflex-really-work.html

"As great as Bowflex Power Rod and Spiraflex technology is, there are still certain benefits to using free weights Traditional weights work your stabilizer muscles better for compound movements because you are forced to balance the weight. For serious strength athletes, this is the way to go. Since Bowflex caps out at 300lbs of resistance on its Spiraflex models, free-weights may be a better solution if you need more resistance."

"

Because machines, some more than others, follow a pre-determined path they offer a limited opportunity to vary your workout. Yes, even the tiniest of differences between lifts and between workouts (even the changes you don't realize you're making) can be advantageous to keeping your body from adapting to the stress placed on it.

Additionally, free weights will stimulate more muscles. Not only will you be lifting the weight with free weights, you will be forced to stabilize that weight. "
