On the label of a bottle of coke

>Energy 450kJ, 5% DI* per serve
(serve = 50mL)

>* % daily intake per serve is based on an average adult diet of 8700KJ. Your daily intake may be higher or lower depending on your energy needs.

Wtf? Why are they even bothering to try make coke look healthy??

8700? Isn't that like 3 time the amount needed? Or did I messed up the units?

pic looks painful, I hate coke in the nose

kJ=/=kilocalories
1 kilojoule = 0.2390kilocalories
=>2079kilocalories, which is about the average adult diet.

on Pibb extra boxes it reccommends you use it to hydrate yourself. i belive it even says after a work out... soda is the LAST thing you want to reach for.....thats as stupid as wendys' recent ads about how their food is healthier than fast food. and how its not fast food at all. anything through a drivethrough window is bad news.

one thing i've seen and got curious about was on an anime called Grappler Baki, when the guy ate bananas and drunk coke after taking all the fizz from it (agitating it) as a power drink before getting in the ring xD

i know it's anime and not REAL LIFE, but it got me thinking a bit about it, i mean if you're doing it for the sake of getting more energy (for something that requires alot of effort or long term effort) it shouldn't be thaaaaat bad right?

You can't possibly be that stupid, right ?

Water is the only thing you need to drink. And only water. And nothing else. Even soup.

the thing is, it's technically correct. and that's the best kind of correct for them. firstly, no product will elaborate in detail it's "potentially" harmful sugars. secondly, they are however required by law to have a nutrition facts label on pretty much every food item.

that will technically provide energy, but it's the crappy kind. also kJ is unusual for me to see on these labels.

Does coke with natural sugar really taste better than coke with HFCS?

Pretty please, no :]

Hmmm. Tough call. I'd say you can IF you have been wounded and you are in need of medical attention.

Get a Jones Cream Soda and compare it to a cream soda brand that uses HFCS.

Jones is fucking delicious.

only if you really want to get nauseous and get sick.

Yeah it tastes way the hell better.
I was drinking a coke and was like 'this coke is really good . . . hmm it's REALLY good!'
then my friend told me it was because it was made with sugar not high fructose corn syrup, and I looked on the back and lo and behold, there it was.
