Hey guys, I need your help.

I've been lurking for a few weeks, I decided now is a good time as ever to post. Anyway, I haven't worked out regularly in about two years. When I did have a routine, it was like a 30 minute thing. (Curls with free weights, crunches, and pushups). Nothing major, and I did get a small bit of results, but nothing exciting.

Attached is me, sorry for the crappy resolution I had to use the webcam on my laptop.

I'm not sure how to improve. Should I start doing pushups and crunches like I did in the past, or do something more? I can probably figure out exercises to train the muscles I need to at home (I don't want to go to a gym -- too self conscious), but I need opinions on what body parts I should work on.

Thanks :)

>Hi /fit/ I took some pictures of myself that I think I look particularly good in. Compliments please - oh also please give criticism that I wont listen to.

WORK ON ABS AND BICEPS. NOTHING ELSE. ABS AND BICEPS IS ALL YOU NEED. ABS AND BICEPS.

You have absolutely ZERO traps.

You have very low body fat though.

Work on all body parts.

I'm OP. Honestly, I know people on here can be condescending / troll like, but that's not my intentions. I really want to get better. So I'm guessing you are saying I need to work on things besides my abs and biceps?

You are a strange little man. That is all.

I would recommend body weight exercises if you do not want to go to the gym. Just doing push ups and sit ups will not do. A few good one that I like are hand stand push ups, just start out with feet against wall until you get comfortable/strong enough to do it from free stand. Dips are good, can do with two chairs or even with counter tops if there is a good corner I guess. Would recommend pull ups if you can find a good place or get a bar. there are other good ones out there as well. Good luck, although I recommend going to the gym at some point for free weights.

I typed "trapezius curls" into google and it got 4 hits. Are you talking about "shrugs"?

Thanks for the advice, I'll buy a pull-up bar this weekend.

If you have access to a barbell and plates I always recommend cleans/clean pulls and pull-ups.

If you have access to a barbell and plates i recommend you do some curls and then beta yourself in the face with it.
