/fit/ what truly is the best manageable way to lose weight? Is weight training four times a week with light bike sprint cardio on the off days substantial, or is there another way?

I've been a powerlifter and strongman for years, but actually getting a chiseled physique has always failed for me. I can do alright dieting, but I always go overboard on cardio and lose motivation. I know there are others like me - how?

Pic somewhat related. Really strong and obviously athletic guy who still looks obese.

Diet. Cardio helps a lot, but it can be done with diet alone. You might need to ADD cardio once you get your body fat low enough, though.

there are tons of resources for the likes of you on t-nation...

but long cardio won't be needed, just diet... and weight train for metabolic results + strength maintenance instead of increase,.

absolutely agree. diet is most important. let your muscles do the rest. they require the energy and let your fat cells give it to them.

concentrate on protein food and lower the actual amount of what you eat. Don't do the mistake however, to increase your reps or lower the weight, that's bullshit. If you wanna keep your muscles, train as hard as always, cardio is even not that important.
