what's so bad about p90x? I used to lift at the gym for almost 3 years and half assed it. I got bigger and stronger but not by a ton. Still had a gut etc. I've been doing p90x for the past 4 months and I feel a ton more motivated and have a ton more energy. And I haven't touched a weight heavier than 25lbs in those 5 months. Is doing squats and deadlifts really THAT much better? If it is, I guess I'll have to rejoin the gym and start reading up. Also, my endurance is WAY up. Thoughts /fit/?

hey man sqaurts are a great workout but they are not nescesary. people promote sqauts so much because they target the biggest muscles in your body, and when you work those muscles out more horomones get released into your body then when you work out other muscles. Then those horomones benefit the rest of your workout. thats one of the reasons sqauts can be so beneficial to a workout but they are not nescesary by any reason.

OP here again, yeah, well this time around probably not. However I'm pretty sure I'm dependent on having someone explain and do the exercise with me in order me to do it full force. I know for a fact if I took every exercise from a p90x workout and put it into a list in front of me I KNOW I wouldnt do all of them. I would have to go with a friend who also wanted to powerlift.
