As long as you're studying smart, so that you don't need to cram right before your exam, you should exercise before an exam, though try to avoid any hardcore weight-lifting, try some light or moderate cardio.
perform an experiment if you've got some time before your exams(ie, they aren't in a week, more like 2 or 3). an hour before class, go run 1 mile. Drink plenty of water and see how you feel during your class.
if you're more focuses and feel fanfuckingtastic, then run before your exams, if you feel like shit, don't.
simple as that
