So, I've always wondered about the recommended daily value. If I get 100% of my daily intake of say, saturated fats,a is that still healthy? Or is that 100% the absolute maximum for consumption in one day?

yeah yeah, but what does that mean? Does that mean that you should be getting all 100% of that particular item each day? Or does it mean that is the max and you shouldn't be taking in any more?

it means it is the recommended maximum amount of that particular nutrient to be ingested per day based on a 2000 calorie diet

just have a balanced diet and don't fucking worry about it.

they put those there mostly to tell you what's in them if you're trying to avoid a particular part, like sodium, cholesterol, sat. fats, or trying to get more of a particular part, like fiber.

a lot of nutrients is okay to overconsume, but not all of it. vary your sources, don't get all your advertised requirements from just one.

Well technically speaking you cannot live without eating Protein but can without fats and carbs.

For a healthy diet for an active person you need around 30% Protein 50% Carbs 20% Fats in your food.

I aim for 40/40/20 since i weightlift
