dear /fit/,

I am an avid cosplayer, and am tired of being ridiculed for my size. And before you all assume I am fat, you are wrong.
I am actually the polar opposite: ridiculously skinny.

I am 5'9 and 110lbs. All of my life I have constantly struggled to put on weight. I bet I could eat 6 meals a day and it would not do a thing for me. I have been to the doctor countless times, and they have done countless tests and have found nothing wrong with me that would contribute to me being underweight. It is mostly a case of a fast metabolism and genetics.

What I am hoping, is that someone could recommend some good ways to possibly put on some more weight. Perhaps a good regime of eating certain foods paired with muscle building exercises. (my arms are like pipe cleaners. Think radical Edward..and that is about what they look like.)

if your protein aint at 200g and your calories at 4,000

keep fucking eating.

Eat fatty\sugary foods if you have to, can fit more calories in that way.

Try having olive oil on fucking EVERYTHING.

I mean, I make a salad with some shredded lettuce, lemon, salt and ONE CUP of olive oil.

That's over 2,000 calories.

Extra virgin tastes best.

If you eat the juices from the bottom of the bowl with some bread, it's very yummy, you just gotta be super *SUPER* heavy handed with salt\lemon.

It's only 'cause it's more socially acceptable than making a bowl of extra virgin olive oil, lemon, and salt then dipping and eating my bread out of it.

Hold on. That kind of force feeding is a bit ridiculous. If there's no rush aim for another 250 calories each week and keep at it till you accumulate fat. My guess is if you're that much of a Skeletor you're in the 3000-4500 calorie range. Start at about three grand and work your way up.

Weigh your food, calculate exactly how many calories you're eating. It's certainly less than you think. Now start force feeding yourself even when you're not hungry. The olive oil idea is very good because it's tasty and calorie dense without being too filling.

that seems the most reasonable out of all the replies. Seeing as how I am not too keen on the idea of force feeding myself until I puke...(that would defeat the whole purpose.)

besides olive oil, what are some other high calorie foods? I would really like to avoid trans fats, since those will do me no good...and make me end up feeling like crap.

olive oil, meats (yes this includes fish for all you motherfuckers who don't think fish are meat), legumes (peanuts, beans, edamame, etc.), nuts

all of the above are great for packing on calories that are healthy, protein rich, and have relatively healthy fat... avoid trans fats, go for cis fats, saturated is ok, unsaturated is better, EFAs are excellent
