It sounds like you are looking for muscle control over brute strength if you don't wish to have a large body but still be toned and strong. For that you want to do just a lot of small things. Do exercises / machines / weights for everything. Perhaps not at your maximum weight(70-80% of that perhaps), and not even doing many reps will get you there if you do it constantly. But just doing a LOT of simple stretches, pushups, crunches, squats, pull-ups, whatever. Anything. Just have to keep it up and constantly work everything. Even doing urban running(Parkour / Free Running) or going to a gymnasium or getitng into some type of Martial Arts would be wise. Vaulting, Bars, and other exercises which require full movement and control are great for building both strength and control.
