All movement burns calories, so if you want to sit there and wiggle around/kick your feet/etc do so...but that won't replace doing an actual workout. Get your cardio/resistance in, and then consider everything else bonus points.
Some multi-tasking supplements of mine are: a) Taking the dog for a walk/run b) Heavy yardwork c) Muscle isolations while watching tv d) Being obnoxiously fidgety while reading (leg scissoring, shimmies, pacing, etc)
