Heavy weight training maximizes the metabolism, and helps retain muscle, that would otherwise be lost, since cardio+calorie deficit = catabolzation of muscle.
If you want to look like that, it would be easier to bulk up now, and cut all of the fat off at once, instead of cutting, then bulking, then cutting. Nothing melts fat off the body like muscle.
