im so fucking glad someone brought this up.ok so first things first;the muscles in the forearms/hands are just like any other muscle in that you can overtrain them, give them at least one day off aside from the day off you take for your entire body.as for exercises, i've found farmers walks and plate pinches to be the best for building grip strength and do a good job of building forearm size as well.

Shit.. I have no idea what strength I should choose. I'm sure I'm in the 80-100 area, but I don't want to end up getting something I'll never be able to close or something that would be too easy...
I have a few of these. While they are fun for showing your stength, but the gripper bars are so abrasive, to get a decent workout you wear holes in your hands. Ive had more success doing pull ups on a rock climbing "hang board". Which has different hand holds of varying degrees of difficulty. You will need some hand chalk as well.
