I really want to pick up power lifting, but as far as i can tell, it doesn't even exist. No gym I've ever seen has the right equipment.

I try simulating it the best I can on power racks, but i know that's not going to work.

Can you help?

if you are a beginner to weightlifting all you need is a power rack for probably the first 2 years. powerlifting requires a strong base

Well, I bench about 165 max, SQUUAAATZ about 245-250. I don't do very heavy lifting as far as deadlifts or the very limited cleans i can get in on that tiny platform thing there.

I started SS and just went for broke on every lift as instructed. It feels kind of weird. Every workout I go in and add 10lbs and bust my ass, to the absolute max, to 5 rep it 3 times... then the next time I go in and I can add another 10lbs and 5 rep that 3 times, then next workout I'll be able to lift another 10lbs.

The strength just goes up and up at a really noticeable speed.

It has been the same across the board. The good mixture of squats and deadlifts.. presses and bench presses and finally the power clean... has led to a really balanced and large increase in strength in a pretty short space of time.

Why don't you deadlift heavy? It is the greatest lift EVER. Just going down to that seemingly HUGE amount of weight on the floor and then lifting it way clear of the ground feels awesome... like "I'M THE FUCKING HULK!" awesome.
