Under a year ago, I started doing push-ups and couldn't pull out 30 for the life of me at my best effort and most-willed. 2 months after that point, I was able to pull off 50 with medium difficulty, and I kept doing 2-3 sets of 50 daily for the longest time because I wanted to avoid the gym. In due time, I went to the gym and started working my arms and chest with free weights not very often, but enough for effect. Now push-ups feel like nothing, and I can do 100 before I lose endurance.
