This is an Ironman. Even though the narrator may have said "dehydrated", (which she most certainly was) hours of extreme exercise force your body to shut down (and by shut down I don't mean it's like a light switch, it's just the process is extremely retarded) things like your digestive system to conserve energy for the most vital and active ones. She wasn't just dehydrated, her body had burned nearly all it's fuel it had. I'm sure she hydrated often during the marathon and cycling. Drinking a cup of water near the end of her 140.6 mile trek when she was collapsing wouldn't have done shit.
