Damnit, I just can't gain weight. I've been working out for probably 3 months and have gained 5-6 pounds. I lift 3 days a week (sometimes a 4th light day) and eat like a cow.

Monday: Bench, Squat 3x10 on each
Tuesday: Cleans 3x5, Shrugs 3x8, Deadlifts 3x10
Thursday: Bench, Squat

I do think my problem is I am just not eating enough, even though I do eat a lot. My lifts are increasing too, so this perplexes me. What do you all recommend?

Thanks in advance!

You'll have to post your current diet

My current diet, hrm. For breakfast, I'll normally have 3-4 eggs scrambled, and a glass of orange juice. For lunch I'll have a chicken sandwich from the cafeteria. I eat a big lunch at home usually consisting of a lot of chicken, or steak etc. I will throw in an 900 calorie shake in too, on days when I workout and days when I don't.

OP, if you feel you're adequately stimulating your muscles for growth (by continuing to challenge them at higher weight) then it is almost certain that your problem is diet or sleep.

Sleep is as important as diet since that's generally the most important "off time" for your body to stimulate muscle growth.

Other than sleep then diet would have to be the culprit; if you feel that you're getting at least 500+ calories and at least your bodyweight in g of protein.

Usually for me the problem is diet, since I find after a few months my body gets "too used" to the overeating that I'm doing so I have to up it another few hundred calories to compensate.

Sleep may be a factor, I don't always get those 8 hours I should. Gonna try to up my calories even more, and rest as good as i can. But damn it is a task sometimes to do all this eating.

So you're doing the Reppitoe's workout program. He specifically states that most of workouts are dependent on your eating and lifestyle etc.

Get some oatmeal, pasta, rice, steaks fish etc.

Add rows, overhead press, dips, and pull-ups to your routine.

Your lifts are increasing, and you're gaining weight.

Sounds good to me.

What i did was sophmore year I was 120 and almost 6"

I increased my daily eating to probably around 3000 calories + whey after workouts.

Try whey, it helps a shitload. Most brands taste good to if you mix it in with milk, taste like chocolate milk

also I did all upper body one day, then next day abs + lower body.

Eat fucking more, it's that simple.
Take whatever you're eating, add another 2 meals of equivalent size.

Then add 10-20% more food to each meal.

Doesn't matter if it sucks to finish it, if it stays down, you're good.

Try to consciously take in more carbs while maintaining your current amount of protein intake. From what you posted as your diet, it would seem you are lacking carb intake.

your program is a little fucked up too

squat first, every day

put DL's on bench day

Don't waste time with shrugs (if you want, just pull the weight up a bit at the end of your DL's... but you will get all the shrugs you need from your cleans)

Add overhead press

basically, just do rippetoe.

And drink more milk... AT LEAST a quart a day more than you are drinking now, but really as much as you can handle.
