Hey, /fit/. I used to be a fashion model when I was teenager, and all that it stereotypically implies. After I quit that, I became bulimic, and then a compulsive overeater. I'm about 145lbs and 5'4" now, so while I'm not exactly a ZOMG TOTAL WHALE, I'm still a fatty, and gaining weight. I want to change the situation before it gets too late.

I know I don't want to starve again. I tried Atkins for a bit, thinking it was some godawful carbohydrate addiction that got me this fat. No dice. I jog and dance about 45 minutes most days of the week, but nothing seems to cancel out the effects of the binges. I'm seeing a shrink , and I know the whole "EAT LESS, MOVE MOAR, FATTY" doctrine well enough. I've got a pretty good idea of nutrition, and know at least *how* to structure a meal plan, even if what I end up doing is shit like eating tahini out of the jar... So, are there any among you who've fought compulsive over-eating and won? And if so, could anyone recommend first hand some of the techniques/mind-games/voodoo or whatever you used to get over it? I really want to knuckle down and concentrate on my college education.

If your goal is a better figure then learn to hate yourself, but know how to fight your fat in a healthy way. I used to be skinny as fucking shit and I'd be embarrassed to look in the mirror, even at home. I gained 20 pounds, stopped, started being unsatisfied again (though a lot more mild this time, more of a "I could do better than this" feeling), then gained another 20 and am still gaining. Though my goals have since then changed, it's really just always having a goal and having the attitude of "I can achieve more than this" that really helps your drive to improve.

1. don't keep crap food in the house
If it's not there, you can't eat it.
2. make sure you're eating enough fat. If not, you'll be hungry. Learn about 40/30/30 macronutrient ratios.

Fashion Modeling and you're only 5'4"?
Unlikely.
You probably did commercial modeling for JCPennies. No one is 5'4" and does "Fashion Modeling".
Lie better next time.

p.s. eat more

Furthermore, nobody who has ever touched a modeling job doesn't know how to drop 20+ pounds in a few weeks.

I think she wants to do it safely this time around.
