For me aesthetics are second priority. I train for sport. My weight lifting is to supplement my bjj/mma training, and I only do that about once a week. I much prefer cardio

I have the body type where it is easy to gain muscle but hard to lose fat. I have to eat very little (at least less than I would like) to be at about my ideal.

I just figure, if I'm going to train like hell I might as well look like it.

I do some sort of martial arts training whether jiujitsu, boxing or muay thai about 2-3 hours around 4 days per week. running usually after

Try doing something other than running. I switched from rowing 10K a day to running 2 miles a day, and lost weight quicker. Your body gets used to one type of cardio after a while. If that fails, count calories.
