Why is pizza considered so bad for you if all it is, is cheese, dough, tomatoes and maybe some ham or pepperoni? Which are all good for you in their seperate ways. I dont understand tbh.

pic unrelated
And no im not trolling.

pizza can be good, if you make it yourself

pizza chain pizzas are gross

if you make it yourself, pizza is not bad for you.

if you buy it while out, shit's covered in grease.

I work in a pizzeria and I can tell you why. A personal pizza has 2.5 ounces of cheese, around 20 grams of fat there, before any toppings (and I personally find our personals tiny as hell ) The crust contains hydrogenated oils which have omg bad trans fats, and if you get a deep dish, it's a ton of calories, all of which are quick digesting shitty carbs. Add some pepperoni on there, or most other toppings, and it just gets worse and worse. Pizza can be healthy though, if you only put about 1 ounce of cheese you're only looking at about 8 grams of fat, get thin crust so little carbs, and put lots of veggies like tomatoes and artichoke hearts and lean meat like chicken, and you're good to go.

ITT people not from NY.

NY Pizza is fine to eat.

Yes, New York cheese has no fat, everyone knows that...

Look at the nutrition info for yourself, a large slice of pizza with toppings has around 40 carbs. Now if you're like most people, you're not going to eat just one. You're going to eat 2-4 slices.

the dough is mostly white flour
the cheese is mostly fat
the "tomatoes" are mostly salt
ditto the ham/pepperoni

and the whole thing is mostly dough, highly processed carbs that cannot be digested much further and get turned instantly into fat if they aren't burned first. there is nothing redeeming about a pizza unless you load it with veggies.

tl;dr - OP is a troll, pizza is shit food for fatties

pizza hut is some of the unhealthiest shit you can get

if you go to a less commercialized joint, a slice will run you about 200 calories, and you can get whole wheat crust

Grease.
The end.
It's no secret just about everything on a "normal" pizza is consideredunhealthy food. And I believe one slice of Pizza hut pizza can be like, 720 calories or something I don't c

grease through the fuck

I ate eleven slices of pizza the other day in a pizza eating contest with a girl (which I won by one slice). Shit was so cash.

Carbs are carbs, that little pizza joint that uses whole wheat flour might not use as much grease as pizza hut but I'll guarantee you that if someone eats there frequently they'll still look like a fatass.

Haha, or this.

Sure is a lot of fatass pizza lovers up ITT.

It can be good in moderation made with healthy ingredients. However, most companies or premade pizza is not made healthy... high fat mozz cheese, fatty meats, sugary sauce, and high carb simple white dough. That together is not good.

Make a whole grain crust (thin is best) with a simple tomato paste with herbs, a lean meat, veggies, and simple spices and herbs, with low-fat skim mozzerella, and you're fucking set.

What's with all the hate on sat. fat and grease, they don't make you fat.

I went to a pizza hut and the door to the kitchen was open. I saw the "spray grease" can and have never been back. I always wondered exactly what they did with it though. Thankyou.
>> Anonymous
>>479024
i saw that can too. they sprayed it right on top of the pizza wtf?
>> Anonymous
Depends.

Is the dough whole grain? I fucking doubt it, unless you make it yourself.
Do they add grease? Depends on where you get it, make it yourself to avoid this.
Is the cheese mostly fat? THIS DEPENDS, a lot of cheeses have a 1:1 fat:protein ratio (2:1 if you're using calories, instead of grams) This isn't HORRIBLE, but isn't good either. However, the fat is mostly saturated, and cheese has a lot of salt. As far as the meat goes, it doesn't usually have a good fat:protein ratios, this is usually, not always, if you make it yourself you can change this. The meat is probably loaded with sodium though. Now for the sauce: Some sugars (tomatoes are just sugar and vitamins), but most sauces have even MORE sodium (see how the sodium in pizza can pile up to ridiculous levels?).

Anyways, do you notice a theme? IT CAN BE HEALTHY, BUT USUALLY ISN'T. MAKE IT YOURSELF

We spray it around the outside of the pizza. I don't remember why. I think to make it shiny after it's done going through the oven. Thin crusts don't get sprayed because they have no outer crust to speak of.

Most of the time me eating healthy foods is stopped because of laziness.

The lazy mans best bet to having healthy pizza is hamburger buns, squeeze top pizza sauce, large pepperoni packs, and pre-shredded cheese. I shred the cheese myself from a block but that's because of the price difference. 325 degrees for like 11 minutes and you've got an even multiple of little pizzas.

that is not healthy...
