Why does my mid arm area look so pointy?
Can I exercise my bicep or triceps to make it not look that way?

That is your bone. Eat meats and move weights.

Bench/push-ups and lat pull-downs/pull-ups. I was on a routine of little more than pull-ups and push ups (for upper body) and it was sufficient to 'bulk up' and disguise that bit of anatomy.

lulz, OP needs to set his camera date properly, this picture was taken on 2008:09:17

Anyways, aside from being way too skinny, you may also have really pointy arms. I'm 5'11" and 175lbs, but I still have really pointy elbows.

Beat the tip of your elbows against hard objects until they calcify nice and hard, and then you can smash shit with them in hand-to-hand combat.
