Hey /fit/

I am planning to go into the military next year. I can't due to my weight.

Any diet or exercises that I should do specifically? I need to be able to do at least 50 push ups/sit ups and some pull ups, probably run 2 or more miles and swim 200 meters nonstop.

I am 5'2" and 189 pounds (was 199)

Any help would be great. Thanks

I'm with you anon, I have to make 20% body fat, but I won't go in until I'm at 15 or so. Cause I'm 6'0" and I don't see myself weighing below 200 at 20%. I'm a big sonofabitch.

But anyway, my suggestion, at least what showed me a huge fat loss from 360 to 300, is lots and lots of calisthenics, cardio, the like. Wind sprints in grass, running, etc. Plus, a large amount of all the required exercises. pushups, sit ups, etc.

It also helps to look up some other body weight exercises, bear crawls, mountain climbers, burpees, etc.
