I figure since other people are doing it, I'll make a thread like this too. I'm 18, 5.'2" and weighed 112lbs this morning. I eat a relatively healthy diet, perhaps a bit meager considering I usually take in about 1,000 calories a day. I'm a vegetarian, cannot stand sweets--especially chocolate and rarely drink coffee and soda.

Now for my problem; I do regular exercising, such as jogging if the weather permits and more than anything else, crunches. No matter what, I cannot seem to tone my stomach and it looks like I weigh more than I do in these pictures. My goal weight is to be 107lbs, but unless I stop eating all together, it seems inpossible.

What would /fit/ suggest for me to drop a few pounds (that I plan and keeping off) and actually toning my stomach. My significant other is going to be home from a tour of duty overseas and I really want to look my best when he gets back.

Yeah, almonds for protein, walnuts for omega 3s

But you can't build muscle without increasing calories. Losing fat and building muscle at the same time is hard, almost impossible in my experience. It's easier to do one or the other at a time.

Goddamn man, that means if she sat on her ass all day she'd still be a few hundred calories short of what she needed.

After Googling HIIT, I think I'll give it a try. My work out regime is pretty strict.

I know my calorie intake is too low. During the past semester in college, I killed it with my sleep cycle and am slowly trying to get back to eating the proper amount of calories. I will also go to a Whole Foods store and look into buying some beans and other protein filled foods; I just noticed the food selections at my local grocery stores are processed to hell and back.

Omg you're going to kill yourself. Don't do HIIT until you've got your calories doubled and you've been doing light aerobics for a while with your new diet. Slowly increase the amount of food you eat, and try to get in 3 full meals, with small healthy snacks in between to help keep your body from going back into panic mode. You're seriously going to fuck your body up exercising with an anorexic level of calories.

OP, you're crazy. You look fine as hell.
