/fit/ are supplements a must have when trying to grow muscle? or are they just an easier way out? will I get the same results working out for some years than using supplements for some months?

no, especially if you are a noob. i gained my first 20lbs without whey or a multi or anything, just from actually moving and eating a tin of tuna of two.

they do help though. once you have a month or two of lifting under your belt and are used to being on a weight gain diet, i suggest the following supplements

multivitamin
protein powder (to ADD to diet, not replace)
fish oil caps (highest EPA and DHA content/$ ratio)
creatine monohydrate.

i never started using creatine till about a year after, when i did i shot up 5 - 10lbs and my pumps were better.

this is really all you need, NO supplements aren't proven to produce gains, none of that celltek bs is needed either. ZMA works for some, not for others (works for me but gives me mad zits)

Supplements are just supplements. Whey helps me get 2 grams of protein per 1 kg of my bodyweight a day, but if I could enter get that much proteins through normal food intake WITHOUT increasing carbs/fat/calories, I wouldn't need it. Same with any other supplements(not talking about creatine here). So the answer is no, if you can get enough protein to fulfill the 2x bodyweight, you don't need them. Don't know what other supplements you refer to, but most of them are whey with minor changes(mass gainers), or vitamins.

Didn't even see this lol

EPA
DHA

what are these?

2 of 3 omega 3 fatty acids. they are good for joints and health and immune system and basically make you a better human. you even think better.

but you need DHA and EPA doses int he range of 3000mg per day to get the full benefits. 1 fish oil cap is not going to cut it. you will need at least 10 a day.

the other omega 3 is ALA, its found in flax seeds, walnuts, other shit i cant remember.
