ITT: Stupid shit you've seen people do at the gym.

Me, I was in the gym locker room on Wednesday after my workout and shower, getting dressed. Suddenly I notice this one guy who's getting ready for his workout, and he's wrapping goddamn saran wrap around his stomach, presumably so he'd lose more fat in that area. I almost went and talked to him, but then I figured fuck it, let him be stupid.

Fucking douchebags who take up the power rack to do CURLZ instead of SQUATS. Makes me rage so much since they are wasting space for an exercise that can be done just as well with dumbells or with a barbell by yourself.

I'm slightly hijacking this thread for my rant. People that sit on a machine to rest between sets for an absurd amount of time. I've been waiting for machines and have had to wait to watch someone sit and look at their phone or play with the handles etc. Since I do a cycle (1 set on each machine at a time) this can be very frustrating.

People HORRIBLY misusing the lat pulldown machine. There was an old man that would come in, grab the bars without sitting down, then jerk and twist around in strange ways; sometimes he would slightly lift the rack and cause it to clang around, but normally not. I can only assume he was using it to stretch his back out.

some cheats are ok for heavy lifts like pull down or curls, but i get pissed seeing people bench and they only lower the bar 1/3 of the way. and you know it isnt to work tris cause they are using a starnard wide grip
