Hey, /fit/. I used to work out. I worked out, ate healthy, and I got stronger. I found that over time, I could bench press more, and so on. But I scaled it back, so now I just do small exercises to stay healthy. Do you know why? Because I weigh 120, and never once saw any damn improvement. I never gained any muscle weight, and nothing I did made me look any different. I suspect that I have a slightly unusual physiology (fast metabolism); would that explain it?

Pic somewhat related.

>fast metabolism
umm... 120, how tall are you. And how old are you.
Not a lot of 18+ people who weigh 120lbs. Your metabolism slows down after you 18 or so.

>never once saw any damn improvement
>and I got stronger
no improvement?

It's probably your diet, eat moar, moar protein too.

You might have a fast metabolism, might not have the genetics to grow much muscle (fast) and so on.

'Ate healthy' pretty much sounds like 'ate too little to grow muscle' to me. Not that you should eat unhealthy, but you have to eat a shitload if you want some real gains. Especially if you've got a fast metabolism.

Eat over 9000 kcal a day, work out with a good schedule 3/4 times a week for 1 year. You will see gains.

First change your diet, eat more maybe go get some suplements.
Second, your training must be fast. You can't rest for more than 1 minute betwen each set.
Believe me you will see improvement.
I used to be thin like a stick and now after 7 months of hard training i'm not ashamed to take shirt off on the beach.

explanation: you didn't eat enough

further explanation: you never did enough research about reaching your goals to get anywhere. you don't just go into the gym and start doing whatever lifts you think are good and expect to be mr. olympia.
