/fit/ I relapsed this weekend.

I ate awful food and didn't exercise.
I also had soda and beer for the first time in weeks.

so tomorrow I'm going to detox..well I am right now..I'm drinking water and I stopped eating at 8. tomorrow morning after my breakfast of oatmeal and fruit is to do cardio and weights then do some work at school and do another workout of cardio.

what should I do to get back into my normal schedule and help cancel out my bad weekend?

Don't do any of those "detox" pro-diarrhea diets.

Just make it up for it by burning more calories the rest of the week.

Cancel out? you don't; you fucked it. you can't have time back. Simply continue your normal schedule. if you wanted you could burn more cals this week to perhaps compensate, other than that 1 week isn't going to kill you.

wasn't planning on using a laxative. I was planning on eating more fiber and walking/jogging in the morning with a 35 minute session doing weights.

sounds like you're trying to do too much at once. obviously if you're eating "awful food" and not exercising, drinking carbonated drinks, etc., then you have some desire to still do those things.

so taking a knee-jerk course of action and completely focusing is only going to be temporary.

first you need to wean yourself off of things you don't want to do anymore. take everything one step at a time. maybe start with alcohol consumption; once you start getting buzzed your inhibitions are out the window and you will eat fried possum vagina with mayonnaise.

Often the "oh I've ruined my regimen, might as well quit" feeling is more harmful than the actual binge.

There's no way I'm quitting my regimen. I just had a bunch of bad news hit me at once I'm not going to bawww about it. but I do know that I have one year until my best friends wedding to be in better shape than I am now (i've already lost 25 lbs)

OP, keeping some variety in your diet is good. Occasionally having a "bad" day won't kill you, it will help. I am not saying eat like 5 pies and wash it down with milk shakes, but enjoying yourself every weekend won't kill you.

If junk food makes you happy, and being fit makes you happy, work to find the median.

OP here: I enjoy bbq. SO during the weekends I'll have to make a brisket. when I do bbq I don't do what most southerners do which is eat a ton of breads and potato dishes, and coleslaw with it. I have brisket and a salad maybe some roasted veggies.

Also, thanks alot for the suggestions and that it's not a huge deal to mess up once in a while. I do have a cheat day in my regimen as well.

Any and all tips for exercise will be grateful.

What? Do you think 20 lbs will just appear over-night?
Just continue what you regularly been doing. (Assuming it's healthy.)

Your plans for tomorrow are are horrible.

Stop being a drama-queen.
