Quick Question /fit/

I'm a faaaaaat fuck, so fat that sprinting will seriously damage my joints and I can't do more than 20seconds of all out sprinting.

now the question if regarding HIIT: My current daily cardio workout is something as follows. 45 Mins of walking/brisk walking to warm up the joints, then 30mins of HIIT, I tried jogging during cool down periods and sprinting, but it seriously fucked my legs up, they were sore for days.

so now I'm doing 30secs of joggling/slow run and 90seconds of cooldown (walking) for 30mins. Will I see the benefits of all out HIIT even though I'm not pushing myself as much?

Seriously. Go to the Y if your place doesn't have a pool. Its FANTASTIC cardio + it won't fuck your joints.

Even fit, healthy people ought to do swimming as their cardio as much as is convenient - even healthy folk can fuck their joints running.

if you want to do HIIT and preserve your joints, do Tabata intervals on a stationary bike.

But don't worry too much. Any exercise in your condition will lose you weight, assuming you are eating properly as well.

Just keep doing what works for you. Don't expect any miracles to happen, but within a few weeks you'll surely begin to notice the difference. Keep it up.
