Take it within 30 minutes of your workout for maximum benefit. Remember that whey protein is fast dissolving and quickly digested by the system, so its main use is for post-workout intake. Usually casein works much better for a pre-bed time shake or whatever.
Anyways, the amount of scoops depend on how much weight you want to gain. I'm currently taking about 50 grams of protein immediately after my workout. I'm nights im not drinking/partying (i'm at college) I usually try to drink a naked juice protein zone which has about 30 grams of whey protein. Even though its not casein, its still helps stave of the catabolic state that happens during your sleep. However, I've seen benefits using 30 grams post work out too. That being said, the benefits are far more when you take more, up to a certain point.
