Eating breakfast starts your metabolism faster, and eating several small meals will eventually quicken it too. D.) There's such a thing as basal metabolic rate. I'm pretty sure 1200 is below it for the average-sized male. It'll send your body into shock, and it'll store all your fat in a life-preserving effort. Give height, age, weight, and activity level and you can figure out what your minimum calorie intake can be. It may lower it, but you'll also lose weight.
