Just whatever you do, keep on moving. The more you move, the more fat you burn, and the more in shape you'll be.
I've never really had a problem with being overweight as I've always enjoyed running, but I assure you that once you work yourself to the point of being able to run at least one mile a day everything will be easy for you - but don't run until you're only slightly above average weight, as you'll damage your knees.
