So I recently sprained my ankle and all workout has stopped. Are there are exercises that won't stress it? I'm looking at things for the legs, ex. Crunches and curls get old, especially when I can't even do a pushup properly.
>>112183ho man, that is how i got into cycling. I couldn't really walk so i couldn't get about after tearing all the ligaments in my ankle and foot. But I found i could ride a bike ok and never looked back
SQUATZ.Maybe rowing? I'm not sure on how much pressure you apply through the ankle when rowing... but deffo for cycling.
OP gives thanks. Didn't consider cycling, though I guess with a brace to make sure I don't do anything stupid, it should be all right.
>>112225You don't need a brace if you're going to just cycle. If you somehow manage to injure your ankle while riding a bike then your ankle will probably the least of your worries.Think about a brace if you decide on running though.
>>112261I wouldn't be surprised if I did. Thanks though!
why should that stop you from doing pushups?
>>112293If it's in standard position it'd be putting stress on the foot. It's a bad sprain. "Could" do one-legged pushups, but not that strong.
