Sup /fit/, I'm feeling pretty fucking awful.

I've plateau'd at shit weights. My training weights that I'm now currently failing to complete 5x5 (and I've tried multiple times, deloaded, gone back), are 170lb Squat, 175lb DL, 170lb Bench, 90lb OHP.

I'm eating ~4000 calories per day, over 175 protein every day, taking a multivitamin and getting a shake after working out. I work out 5x5 3xweek, and combat train 2x week.

I weigh 160lbs. I hate my genes.

Do I just keep pushin'? I mean, the workout makes me happy with endorphins, so I enjoy that, but should i switch up in any way?

Try another variation of 5x5. Maybe you could do Reg Park's? It's 2x5 lighter sets followed by 3x5 heavy.

When you can complete the last 3x5 at a given weight, increase the weight on all five sets 5-10 pounds.

the 2x a week combat training could be hurting you. How are you sleeping? 8hrs of quality sleep? Is your form perfect? You could try switching to a 5x3 to increase your strength or a 1x20 to increase mass, but you should be able to lift more. At 4000cal/day you should definitely be getting all the required fats/carbs/etc, but review your diet and make sure. You could also try some meditation and deep breathing exercises, as they sometimes can help reduce stress and further progression.
end wall of text.

It's hard to get 8hrs of quality sleep. I have classes at 8am, combat training goes 6-9pm, so I get to bed anywhere between 12:30 and 1pm in the morning, then get up at 7:30.

I don't want to give up the combat training as it's expensive and I pay by the month, and to me getting strong is a route to a better combat performance. Usually I'm more like 165lbs, so I want to improve myself so that I weigh about 173-5ish, and am able to compete at welterweight as strong as I can get.

Thanks, I'll give it a look up.

if you want to lift more don't do 5x5. 5x3 will allow you to go 100%
