So today, after I got out of the shower and went to the mirror to clean myself off, I noticed a bunch of red blotches on my skin.

I don't know what they are..they kind of worry me. They're all around my body (not in very large numbers, but they're spread out. I'll post more pics after this.)

Does anyone know what it is? And yeah I'm overweight, so the pics will be nastily fat.

Also the above picture was on my leg, right where it connects with my abdomen or whatever.

This is below my right pectorial (or moob, if you want to call it that.)

This one is of my armpit. As you can tell, the red blotches are below and above it.

I have a few more, but I think that's all you'd really need, right?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. I'm gonna go search google now.

Eczema. Can be caused by water or cold. See doctor if doesn't go away or keeps coming back. Treat with OTC antihistamines.

dude you have red spots all over your body! you should get that checked out.

But can Eczema just randomly occur? I haven't changed my diet, my exercise routine, and I haven't taken any new drugs recently.

It's my understanding that it's not always very clear what causes it. Just looks that way from the pics and sounds that way from the shower.

You have a fungal breakout from the sweat and dead skin.

Go to the store, but equate brand anti-fungal cream, CREAM NOT THE OIL SHIT and apply it twice daily after showers.

If you dont shower often, once in morning, then in night. Goes away after about 2 weeks.

I ujsed to get it on my chest as I hug a pillow when I sleep.

Well, that's a relief I guess. I thought I had some weird ass disease.

The bubonic plague even went through my mind for a second, rofl.

I guess I'll do this for a while, and if it doesn't go away, I'll go to the doctor about Eczema..

Oh and I meant the black death, not the bubonic plague.

I had something similar to this, but it was after I went into the garden in the summer. It started out as a few blotches, and suddenly it was ALL OVER my fucking body. They itched like fucking crazy, and the more you scratch it (sooo satisfying, though obviously bad), the bigger the red bit grows. It was agony.

If it's itchy and slightly raised aganst your skin, absolutely do not scratch them. A family friend said that she used some weird hay fever tablets or something, and that made it go away pretty quickly.

But then again, if the symptoms aren't the same, then just forget everything I just said.

I notice at night, the ones around my armpit itch like fucking crazy.

And with the garden thing..well, I work outside. A lot. Over the summer, I do various landscaping things, cutting grass, laying mulch, trimming bushes, whatever. So maybe it's the same?

I really should just go to the damn doctor lol.

QFT.

Seriously, you just need a cream to rub on it. Unless you have sensitive skin and contracted eczema from an allergy, it's not going to just pop up on you. I had red splotches on my skin exactly like yours earlier this year, and it's just a fungal infection on the surface of your skin. I freaked out and googled it, blah blah, and a cream solved it in the end. You'll be fine, but get an over the counter or prescription cream RIGHT AWAY or your problem will grow.

Okay. So, should I put it just over the blotches, or everywhere on my body?

It's called ring worm. lrn2shower.

hey wait, dont buy any expensive crap. buy Selsun Blue shampoo, seriously. i had this earlier this year, same place on my upper abdomen. just rub some of the shampoo on the affected areas 1-2 times a day, leaving it on for about 10 minutes. it will clear up in a week and you wont have spent a whole lot. my doctor suggested selsun blue over any ointments.

Eczema doesn't look like that you fucking idiots.

Those are ringworms.

I mean, you can fucking see the worm.

That looks a lot like ringworm. Though you can't really get a full respect for the texture so I can't be 100% certain. There are also fungi that look like that.

Both can be transferred form animals (such as dogs) that are allowed to be outside for lengths of time. I would suggest getting a loofah (mesh ball) and washing the areas with DANDRUFF shampoo. The active ingredients in the shampoo will dry the skin while the loofah will help to exfoliate the dead skin away. I would suggest showering twice a day until it clears. If it doesn't clear in 7-10 days go see your regular family physician and get a topical ointment.

Someone I know suggested iodine. Will it help?
>> Anonymous
This is why we should have free healthcare.
>> JOCK ITCH Anonymous
Srsly. I had a rash like that and its worms, in the form of jock itch. Go to the pharmacy and get a can of spray on jock itch shit. (Mine didn't itch either.)

Mine cleared up in a matter of days.

Iodine will only disinfect from bacteria and viruses.
