How important is being ripped to you?

Personally I'm perfectly happy being fit and just not looking fat.

I don't like to get ripped just because of asthetics, but I do get a rush from being able to bend the appearance of my own body to my own will.

This summer I dialed down my body fat to 9% (from 12). My original goal was 5-6%, but my six pack was very visible, not too unlike the guy in OP's pic.

Now I figured that 9% is a good place to start bulking, which I'm doing until mid-next year (adding 5-10 lbs. all around).

Then it's a 5 month hardcore cutting period.

So yeah, feels great :) .

Not really. Bulking = Eating until you feel gorged and sick every day 6x a day.

Cutting = Eating less and being a little bit hungry.

feeling hungry is better than feeling sick, at least to me.

seconded.... i'm pretty thin....i've tried to bulk for like a year or two...can't do it....
here's my diet...in two hour intervals

bf: two eggs, and 1/2 cup of egg whites
protein bar
chicken breast sandwich on wheat with vegs...
protein drink
more chicken breasts....
protein drink
protein drink and banana....
and i weigh the EXACT SAME FUCKING THING!!!

after years....its hard and expensive...its bullshit

I want to be pretty ripped. I dont feel the need to look dry-ripped with lots of vascularity. OP pic would be great, Tom Jane in Punisher or Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity, also great.

Somewhere around that level of body fat is my goal.

I'd say 6-8%. The sweat/glistening factor is probably make him appear a good bit better. A close friend of mine is about that ripped and he was measured at 6%

Id rather be big and buffed than small and ripped, ofc. you can be big and ripped, but thats a waste of time.. the only one i have to prove anything to is myself. therefore ripped doesn't matter :)
