Kettlebells. Oly lifting. Crossfit. Bodyweight exercises performed in a circuit. Seriously though, Crossfit style stuff can really help, but I personally found running to be the biggest loser of fat personally. Also, if you find running to be too hard, the motivation might not be there to make good use of circuit training or kettlebells, which I personally find harder to stick with than a light activity like running.
