Hey /fit/ So I'm 16 and I'm 5'10 and 176 pounds, I don't feel great about my weight and was just wondering if anyone had any advice for losing a few pounds around my midsection. Right now I don't do much exercise of any type or anything of that nature. I eat pretty much what is available. It would be great if anyone could advise what type of exercises to do or what specifically to focus on eating or not eating. Money isn't a major issue, As well i take a few vitamins, a Multi-Vitamin, with a spread of things. A 500mg calcium, and a Fish oil.

You'll shed about 20 pounds by the time puberty finishes, just do some curls and squats so you will have some muscles.

Is there a place near you that teaches grappling? Like wrestling, brazilian jiu jitsu, judo or submission wrestling? Grappling is hella good for your body! I was also fattie when I was 15 or so, but I picked up brazilian jiu jitsu and I losted all the extra weight in about four months by training 3 times a week and cleaning my diet of McDonald's shit.

I was advised to take a form of Martial Arts before, never got around to it however. I may come back to the idea of it if it is truely that good for you.

when i was 16 i stopped drinking coolaid and started walking around town (usually 2-4 miles at a time.) I lost 20 pounds in a few months.

I don't ever eat fast food or anything, i don't even drink soda anymore, and try to stay away from things with High Fructose Corn Syrup. I think me being slightly overweight is simply from not exercising at all really. So thats what i need the most advice for, from what I've been seeing it looks like riding a bike, curls, and squats would be best for me however.
