Ankle weights, yay or nay?

I have a pair and I dont know how to use them.
I'd like to know what are its pros and cons.

Thanks.

Don't run in em, they'll hurt your joints.

Leg lifting without momentum.

Seriously, those ankle weights, weight-vest ec. only stress a certain are, better to say overstress!

It would be damn nice, if we know how to generate gravitational power -> this would train every single cell of yours.

Would ankleweights be okay for jump rope, if you landed on the balls of your feet?

no, when you jump the weights make it harder to lift your feet, so your hip and knee joints will hyperextend, which is definitely not good

Been watching too much Dragon Ball Z have we?

Op here, I use the ankle weights for walking around when I'm not in the gym or not doing cardio.

Some have said it'll help burn calories faster. Is there any truth in that?

Maybe.
I just stated in case we could create gravitational power, which is not impossible per definition.
We just still know too less.

And do you disagree with me that gravitational force effect every single cell of yours? ;)

Of course it is true since you need more energy.
The only question is, how much faster that it would be an efficient method.

Don;t be an ass. weight training every goddamn cell will just cause undo stress on cells that don't need it.

Enjoy causing heart hypertrophy.

It would be interesting to see (in an experiment for example) how adaptable the homo sapiens is over some generations to more gravitational force than on earth.
And no, zomg, i don't speak about 200G.....constant 1.1-1.2 would be enough for the beginning.

We already studies the effect of living with less than 1G -> astronauts

I keep really heavy ankle weights on 24/7 until a really serious battle, in which case I take them off and can move really fast.

I heard a jar of sand on the back works better in that regard.

'Serious battle'?

Fighter jet - G-Forces, up to 17G possible. Not that you would survive that much tho.

Same fag here.

That would low duration G-Force increase.

Higher duration ones would be the things nasa uses that spins you around, forgot their name.

Is this whole thread a thinly veiled reference to dragon ball Z?
>> Anonymous

and naruto... yes

Ankle weights specifically would refer to Naruto Rock Lee. But yeah, could be a Piccolo reference as well

Too much animu

also goku with his gravity shuttle

And Rock Lee is a reference to Bruce Lee, who is real.

Well atleast Bruce Lee used those weights to train in some of his movies.
