Pic is of me after working out for 4 months. Mostly weights, some cardio.

What do I need to work on /fit/? I want to cut more, but I don't want to be skinny and lose strength. Also, how close am I to getting any sort of showing in my abs.

My current stats are
11.5% Bodyfat (Rough Calculation by Gym Manager)
Height - 5'9"
Weight - 189pds
Bench - 250pds
Squat - 225pds for five reps (haven't maxed out yet)

I can also run a mile in about 8 minutes or so. What areas of my physique can you see that need improvement?

>I can also run a mile in about 8

wow, you must have terrible stamina.

This. I would suggest burpees & jumping rope to increase your cardio. Neither destroys your joints like running & both are much more intense.

He used one those electronic ones that you put your stats into and then hold the handles. That's why I'm calling it rough, because I'm not sure how reliable those things are.

The abbreviation for pound(s) is lb(s), not pds.

But I forgive because you look mexican and kind of sexy. :3

Also you look pretty close to some ab definition. Ignore the obvious troll responses, most like jealous un/fit/ fat guys. Cardio + weights will help you lose some fat while you gain some muscle.

Hey guys,

Being way below this guy in strength, but slightly faster in speed, I don't really think he is doing that bad.

Sure maybe now is time to cut and do cardio, but I would say he is doing well.

Can many others post better numbers in all areas? Do you also have a day job? Do you also have time to get laid?

This guy is correct. Review the visible signs of bodyfat percentage here:

You're maybe even 20% based on the lack of separation between arm and shoulder.

I hate people like you who say things like 'beach muscles'. Get the fuck over yourself. Just because you fail so hard at everything else in life that you have to live in a gym to have a shred of self-worth doesn't mean other people do. I'm actually a certified trainer at 2 gyms in the NY area & faggots like you completely ruin gym environments all across the country.

OP: burpees and jump roping, like someone else said are great for strength, endurance, quickness, & explosiveness. They will shed extra weight & completely transform the way your body workouts.

If you are decently fit, you can manage 40 - 50 burpees pretty easily, & I'd do 2 or 3 sets of those focusing on explosiveness & 4 or 5 sets of 300 rope jumps. That will take you 30 minutes at most, & you will notice a difference in your body in mere weeks.

Bioelectrical impedience device, that's what those are called. They can really be accurate at times, but a lot of times they're wildly inaccurate. I wouldn't put too much faith into the reading if that's what you got measured with.

Thanks, guys.

I've heard that abs are a lot to do with body fat percentage, so getting them is one of my goals, but it's not my main focus. I tend to think of defined abs as a sign of someone who is in good shape.

I will definately work burpees into my rountine. This is the first I've ever heard of them. I'm good at jumping rope, so I will try to do it more often. Would you recommend still doing running and bike if I do these?

Oh, so you're a PT? I bet a nickel that my right ass cheek holds more training knowledge than what you learned in your cert, if you even bothered to get certified. People like me ruin your gym environment? Au contraire, my faggoty friend. The vapid dumbasses that you so obviously cater to ruin my gym experience, and every serious athlete/trainee out there. Thats why you male and female bimbos need to stick to your health clubs, and stay the fuck out of the serious gyms.

And hey,

No one is going to answer me?

Who has better squats and bench then this guy, while faster?

How long have you trained and what do you do?

I'm curious
