Cardio and weight training

I know it's good to do both if you are cutting but can you do them one after the other?

I remember reading 2 seperate places something about having to seperate weight lifting and cardio within 8 hours of each other, yet I see people lift and do cardio immediately after

so yea, can they both be done within a short time of each other and what I read was false?

Pretty much. Something worth keeping in mind though:

When you do cardio, your body very rapidly uses up glycogen stores for energy. Hence, if you do your cardio before your weight-training regimen, your weight-lifting performance may be reduced. The worst case scenario is that your body goes catabolic and starts breaking down amino acids and hence undermines the purpose of weight-training that day.

So, generally speaking, if you're going to do weights and cardio in one day, do the cardio afterwards. And yes, I personally highly recommend doing them both together. You'll probably get less fat during a bulking stage and see better results during a cutting stage.
