Hey /fit/

Has anyone made any progress with a bodywieght-only workout? The one I'm interested in is Naked Warrior by Pavel Tsatsouline. Opinions?

Pic unrelated.

Progress as in what? Sure it will help your endurance but you're not gonna get in amazing shape by doing it.

I read through it, and it says that high tension is what builds strength, not "weight".
And by progress, I mean overall strength and endurance.

I kinda doubt that it actually does what it says it does though.

It will make you good at whatever it makes you do.

Weight training: makes you good at lifting weights.

Running: makes you good at running.

Etc.

if you're realy interested in bodyweight only training you should check out parkour, otherwise known as freerunning. go on the american parkour association's website and check out some of the workouts they have laid out.

its good for developing strength you would certainly use in real life situations (running away, climbing, martial arts) and its a good change from weight lifting.

you wont get big doing this stuff, but you will develop new types of strength.

I'm interested in this too. Doing push-ups and such work endurance, right? So it's possible that doing bodyweight exercises along with weight lifting could work both endurance and strength?

Dude, Tsatsouline is a former Spetsnaz instructor. Guy knows what he's talking about.
