Tough bastards thread. Anonymous
Well /fit/, after a while here I've seen a few threads that have skimmed over the topic of combat sports, self-defense and street fighting. Though I acknowledge the three are very different things, I want a thread to honour the toughest motherfuckers we can think of. Fighting, retired, alive, dead, from any sport or discipline that you think earns them that title.

I go with Jack Dempsey. Why?
- Contributed his own to what's thought of as the standard technique in heavyweight boxing as it is today.
- Later wrote a book actually called "How to Fight Tough", which included boxing, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu.
- Spent his early days challenging people at bars; "I can't sing and I can't dance, but I can lick any man in the house."

He qualifies.

What about you, /fit/? Oh, and the Bruce Lee ground has been covered, if you want to include him, say why and move on. This is not a 'my guy vs. your guy' thread, just give your reasons and pay your respect.

Masutatsu ?yama is the ultimate badass.

-He abandons all civilization and heads into the mountains where, living in his karate gi, he trains day and night using his environment to harden his body and fighting spirit through austerity. His only friend in the world would then come once every month to deliver sparse rations.
-He then arrived back in Japan (he's originally from Korea, where he trained - then moved to China and trained some more - before ending up in the aforementinoed Japanese forest), where he fought every competitor in the country. Three days, and over three hundred fights later, he was undefeated and there was no one left to challenge.
-So he began fighting grown adult bulls outside. He killed over fifty of them with his bare hands, and would use a knife hand strike to chop their fucking horns off their heads.
-He could also use a knife hand strike to literally slice the neck of a glass sake bottle. Which, was full of sake and not held down by anything but it's own weight.
-And so on and so forth.

Pic related, and he never lifted an iron weight in his life, it was all calisthenics and nature.

Emelianenko. But Bas Rutten was the fucking dude.

He did not fight 300 people, stop watching warrior in the wind. He did fight bulls though.

Smacks a wee bit too much of the "classic martial arts rep list": Students and close friends can attest for all kinds of crazy shit, but no-one else has seen him do crap.

Hey man, fuck Fighter in the Wind. I've trained with Kuristina Oyama (his daughter) and some of Sosai's own top students.

He had well over three hundred matches in only three days; I also heard of his training regime and some unsanctioned fights he found himself in, just fucking extraordinary.

You guys need to have some faith in his history, how else could Kyokushin be the worlds single most important and effective martial art? Sosai abolished his ego, and any unfounded exaggerations with it.

I don't know anything really about combat sports, self-defense training, or street fighting, but the vid of this guy impressed me more than a bunch of other stuff I have seen from time to time on /fit/.

Excuse the eminem rap song. It does sound nice with the vid though.

because one of his best students "asserts, based on supposedly first-hand history with Oyama, that most, if not all, of the legends about Oyama's early years are false and were perpetrated by Oyama's followers, not Oyama himself."

Help, /fit/

I'm in the business of fat loss, looking to have abs by the end of the summer. I'm estimating that I have another 10-15 pounds of fat to lose before I get there. I wish I had a picture to upload, but no digi-cam. I run 3-5 miles a day, (sometimes I throw in a half hour bike ride) do some pussy lifting for the metabolic boost, and eat as such:

Breakfast: Reduced Sugar Oatmeal, milk, water, and a multi vitamin 200 calories

Lunch: Turkey sandwich/Half a turkey and cheese quesadilla, 230-300 calories

Dinner: Varies significantly, which is why I eat so little during the day.

I also have a low calorie snack between meals. (100 cal and under)

Male
5'11''
160 lbs

I already did, jizzbeard. I said Sosai's daughter herself, aswell as some of his top deshi (including Pettas, Yamaki, and Kato) shared the truth in these tales with me and my training partners.

Why do you have to troll a good thing? Just use it too inspire yourself.

Bumping of my own thread. And I like the suggestions made so far. Surely there must be more inspiration from the today's lurkers, though? What say you, /fit/?
