Sup /fit/I'm going to start trying to lose some weight, and I think it's pretty important that I get myself some bathroom scales so I can track my progress. However, I haven't got the first fucking idea which ones to buy. Is it worth dishing out for a more expensive model, or should I just get some cheap ones? Is it worth getting digital ones? Etc. etc.Cheers
>>92315You don't need anything fancy. At all. If you're doing the right thing, you'll know it. The mirror is more credible than any scale out there.
Don't get a digital one, they fuck with your mind too much. Get one of those old ones that have a little circle that goes around and shows you your weight, or one of those beam ones you see in doctor's offices.
I've used both cheap ones and more expensive digital ones and I have to say the there really isn't a big enough difference to warrant buying the digital ones.Make sure you use the same scale and take your weight at the same time every day (like right when you wake up since your weight naturally changes during the day. This way, your results are much more accurate.
>take your weight at the same time every dayprobably better to do it once a weekdoing it every day will just fuck with his/her mind, since daily weight fluctuations are bigger than what you can lose in one day (unless you cut off your leg ore something)
Yea your weight changes through the day. For example you might be a pound or two lighter when you take a shit or a piss.
>>92325>Don't get a digital one, they fuck with your mind too muchSeconded, the digital I have is a waste. My weight is apparently measured in increments of 3. According to my scale, I've never been 150, only 152 or 149.
