Hey /fit/

Im getting in better shape, doing well with the diet and exercise. But I think its time i really start looking after my hygiene more than just washing with soap + shampooing. My skin is often kinda dry, and i get breakouts sometimes. My backne is GROSS as well. Can you guys get me started with some good products for day to day skin and hair health? Cost isnt really an issue. I mean, its my fucking skin, so i should probably take are of it.

Thanks.

if its bad backacne you not only need a wash, but antibiotics to take by mouth. You also need something to put on your back that you leave on overnight to prevent your pores from clogging up over night, I use Tazorac for that.

That sounds pretty good, but why would you wash with cold water after you've put your moisturizer on? Wouldn't it just wash some of it away?

You should also use a toner after your cleanser. Using a scrub and a deep cleanser that you leave on for a while once or twice a week also helps.

I haven't used very many brands, but what I have seems to work. Spectro Jel/Spectro Derm is a really great cleanser. Dove toner, Aveeno/Dove moisturizer (Aveeno is thicker and better for overnight), St. Ives Scrub. All relatively inexpensive drug-store brands.

Avoid all caffeine and minimize consumption of milk products. Skin will clear up on its own.
