Ever run into a crackpot who treated your injuries from the gym, /fit/? Tell us your stories.

I just went to a physio for some lower back pain. Instead of the expected exercises and diagnosis, I got some diet advice, deep heat treatment and told to lie there with electrodes attached to my back and meditation music playing.

i had a physiotherapist diagnose my damaged lcl ligament and torn lateral meniscus as my "tight hamstrings and weak hip flexors causing my tibia to elongate"

obviously i dont trust physiotherapists anymore.

what the hell's kind of diagnosis is an ''elongated tibia'' anyway for lateral knee injury and couldn't that be ruled out by just having you lie down and looking at your damn leg and seeing that it is not elongated

449256 here

the torn meniscus was causing a cyst just above where my tibia ended, making it look like the bone was longer in that spot

i had a REAL doctor check me out, and i promptly got an MRI and surgery done
