/fit/ i drank a protein shake before going to the gym..then felt sick 45minutes into it and threw up..why?

Dont drink it BEFORE workout... idiot!
Drink water before and during workout... then between 30 minutes to 1 hour after workout, drink a protien skake.

eat a decent breakfast, wait a bit for it to digest, then go to the gym. no protein shakes before working out.

It's just as everyone else is saying, the protein's real work doesn't begin until after your workout where it will repair your muscles, drinking it before and during can make you sick plus it's almost useless

if you want something before your workout go with carbohydrates

?! it's a great idea to eat a meal / shake before a workout, you need energy for the workout , and it's easier to replace the carbs afterwards if your feeding yourself carbs as your body digests the food/drink while you work out

i'm not saying drink it while your driving there, but 30-60 minutes before hand
