Best exercise evar? After the three big ones of course.

How many reps with bodyweight can you do, and how much weight can you add and still do 8-10 reps? When is someone considered "good" at doing dips?

What exactly do dips work out?

I'm told shoulders, but I think it works out triceps more.

Is it a mixture of both?

Depends how you do them. Mostly triceps if you do them upright. Triceps and chest if you lean forward. Doesn't really touch the shoulders a lot, unless you consider the upper part of triceps to be backside-shoulder or something.

So all in all not that useful?

Just do a lot of bench and you are fine.

I maxed about 18 dips last time i checked which was a long time ago. I do all my dips training with weights now, 10 reps x 3-4 sets with 20 kg. I guess this is kind of good, but I've seen people take several reps with like 50-60 kg..!

Not really. I'd say dips are equal to decline bench. Also you can think of it like chins compared to pull downs. Doing reps with body weight helps stabilizing your body, and it is more useful real life, if you even care about that of course..
