Hi /fit/,
I have super low blood pressure. shit sucks. Every time I stand up I get really dizzy and go blind for a few seconds, last week for the first time I properly passed out when getting out of bed and woke up on the floor a few minutes later. But while I'm not in the process of standing up, I'm completely fine. What are the likely implications of this when I ex0rcise? Does anyone else experience the same kind of thing? How can I fix this?

caffeine maybe helpful. Also, may seem obvious, but don't get up too quickly from a lying/sitting position. Out of curiosity, what numbers are we talking about, as mine are usually 100/60 and I feel fine.

Dear op,
Low BP is often a sign of dehydration. Drink more water, even if you don't think you need to.

You can't fix it if it is a chronic problem.
Sleep with your legs propped up on two pillows, and with low or no pillow for your head. If an extreme attack of dizziness occurs, lie down on a decline with your head on the lower side, and prop your legs up.

For obvious reasons, keep away from alcohol, and caffeine, not that you'd feel much of a kick iether way from it.

You will find that when you hit your mid-30s to early 40s, your low blood pressure will suddenly flip to a high blood pressure problem, so look out for that in the horizon. How long you can put this off depends on how well you exercise and keep fit.

Most exercise is fantastic for low blood pressure, it keeps the heart pumping strong and the body to start working faster. But it's up to you to find a routine that works best for you without you feeling too dizzy. Also, like the other anons said, drink more water, eat more salt.
