so /fit/ maybe you guys can help. I used to be a big fatty lost over 200lbs now I weight less then 200lbs. One side effect of this weight loss is loose skin around my belly and upper thighs. I look fine dressed but I'm afriad of getting to close to anyone now, don't want to shock them later. Anything I can do?pic is related but not that bad.
either you fill it with muscle or get surgery
>>104779WHAT THE FUCKING FUCKHERE, TAKE THIS
You might want to talk to your doctor about surgery. If it is anywhere near as bad as that pic, you will never get rid of that. It is the price of being a fatty. Surgery is pretty safe and easy.
surgery. no amount of muscle gains can replace that much skin, it's really just skin thats a little lose that it can help.
if youve lost 200lbs, no amount of muscle gain is going to fill your stomach, youre stuck with surgery
what about losing 60 pounds, in the course of a year of diet and exercise. am i gonna look all nasty with skin flaps?also i'm a girl if that matters. girls are stretchier or something, right?
>>105062Try losing the weight first. Since you know so little about the human body, I doubt you'll be able to stick with your diet (whatever that word means to you) long enough to worry about lose skin.
>>105062In a course of a year, 60 lb loss will not make any loose skin at all. Losing all that in two months or something, sure, but not 12. Hell, losing it in half of that wouldn't give you loose skin.
nah, you'll be fine. my friend went from like 250 or some shit, to like 170 in a little over a year and he has no loose skin. just remember to drink plenty of water, it helps with skin elasticity.
If you spam that picture on /fit/ for the next week I can promise you all the "LOL U GUISE I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT" threads would completely vanish.
>>105086doesn't matter if its 1 month, one year or one decade. Its dependent on genetics mostly, but if you willl lose a shitload of fat, you will have loose skin.
>>106020what? an educated individual with a firm grasp of how-things-work in my /fa/? GTFObut, yes.that is how the delicious double chocolate chip cookie crumbles.I am a former fattie, and lost 150++ lbs, and consequencely needed the surgery.
>>106372oops. this was /fit/ wasn't it? fuck. I can't brain today 'cause I have the dumb.also it's 3:45 in the AM.
>>106020i guess that's my question. will losing 60 pounds count as a "shitload of fat"? i currently weigh 225, am 5'7" and probably 18 of those pounds is my tits.
>>106577yes. lose it slowly.
>>106589so far i'm averaging about a pound per week.
>>106595that's fine
>>106598thanks anon. i can feel better about what feels like slow progress by focusing on how slow = avoiding the grody loose skin thing
>>106600your skin tightens around your body as you are losing weight. Thing is, you need to give it ample time to do this. That is why I laughed my ass off when my friend told me that through some diet, he will look as slim as I am in two months. He never did stick with the diet though.
Also, if you're doing weight training in the process, muscle is more dense than fat, so don't worry if in the end, you are as slim as you want to be, but weigh less than you thought you would.
>>106610sorry about that, I meant to say "weigh more"
