FUCK THIS SHIT /fit/,

Sunday I asked if I could go to the gym with a cold, I didn't because I felt weak, and now I've just gotten over a full-blown flu. I already feel better after three days of rest and I think I'll go to work tomorrow.

How long should I avoid the gym so I don't run into cardial problems, and how much muscle will I lose? (I won't be able to go to the gym for one and a half week starting wednesday next week, include that in your calculations pleez).

so you're missing 2 and a half weeks?

Whenever i've had to do that, i've had to move down around 5 pounds per lift for the first week, then the next week i was back at normal... it's different for everyone though, im guessing

Generally, muscle starts atrophying after around 2 weeks of complete rest.

Do some basic push ups, jumper squats, pull ups from time to time and you'll be fine.

You can lower the weights by ~5-10 lbs if you don't feel strong enough afterwards.

I just missed a week of the gym with the flu. Towards the end when I was getting better I did some short workouts on my C2, muscleups, ab rollouts, and planks... nothing special. Better to rest and heal and find shit to do at home when you're feeling up to it
