Everyday I run for 45 minutes, do 100 pushups and 100 crunches, and eat a healthy diet. Will that get me anywhere near having a better body?

If you want muscle growth then you will have to mix it up, your body eventually adapts to this shit. Considering you're up to the 100's...you've kinda adapted to it. I wouldn't say stop by any means because guys who can do like 300 pushups are crazy but no, you probably won't see too too much change from here on out (unless you just got there).

this anon speaks the truth, mix it up, do things you havent done before (but make sure to do them correctly). As for the cardio, many people find that a lot of cardio limits their ability to gain muscle. I personally find that running is perfect for looking and feeling great since size isn't in my agenda.

I find running loosens up my muscles, so it's win-win imo.

OP here, thanks for the replies. The truth is that i've just got to the point where I can do this daily without dying, and i've started to feel better (i.e. my belly has disappeared, now i'm starting to get a six pack). About muscle growth, i've always had a thin body and I like it, so I'm not very interested in it. Anyway, thanks for the advice and feel free to add anything you want that you think it would help me.

If you can keep up a good routine everyday for the rest of your life, you will have a healthy looking body.

It depends what kind of body you want. If you want to gain muscle mass then what you're doing isn't correct. To gain muscle you need to lift heavy weights; doing 100 pushups and crunches shows that your weight now isn't enough to tear the muscle fibres enough to promote enough noticeable growth.

You could first try adding a rucksack with weights in and then do pushups, and for the crunches you could lay a barbell plate across your chest then secure it with a cross arm position.

More repetitions encourage stamina and endurance, and the running with obviously improve your cardiovascular.

I'm no Personal Trainer, but to me you are doing too much. You want your body to rest and grow back stronger regardless of wether you want strength or stamina.

Of coruse what you're doing now is very active and will definitely improve your fitness, but its just deciding what route you would like to go down and customise your regime to suit them needs.

not everyone wants to be a beef cake muscle head. if you are seeing results that you are happy with, I would stick to it. If, in the future, you find that you arent happy with the results, or that you want more results, look into something else.
