How does /fit/ feel about Beef Jerky? I just found this brand where for 28g you get:
1g total fat (.5 saturated)
45mg cholesterol
340mg sodium
4g carbs
4g sugar
0g fiber
11g protein

Seems like win to me

That leaves 7,5 grams of some unknown substance.

Let's turn this around. What are some good snacks like this for cutting that also have decent protein?

In b4 protein powder, edamame, peas, chicken, beef, turkey, meat in general, shrimp, tuna

monetarily, maybe, but you lose flavor/texture/"bite" of the food with whey

cottage cheese is high in protein, low in sugar, and can be very low in fat.

Has too much salt usually.

And you want to avoid sodium nitrate (preservative most easily found in lunch meats).
