When you start reaching like, 200lbs with 8% bf, you can worry about muscle weighing you down and shit. I did TKD in college at 245lbs 26% bodyfat and was 6-0 in sparring.
I don't do TKD anymore and now just focus on cutting body fat and maintaining muscle. Currently 21%bf at 235lbs.
