Yo, /fit/.

So I workout a lot, I have a healthy diet, I drink water only, and a good amount of it, I'm in great shape, I actually have a body where people ask if they can see my abs or my chest, etc. So I do look after my body.

This week though, i've decided to just take a week off from training and just treat it like a holiday, as I don't have to be anywhere this week, so it's a free week.

Now, i've basically been eating whatever I want. Stuff that isn't all that healthy, just self-indulging, I guess. I've also been drinking close to every night. Now whilst this isn't healthy at all, I don't need to be told that, but having a week break from training and enjoying myself shouldn't really matter so long as I get back into my training this coming Monday, should it?

Eat "unhealthy" food in moderation and you will be fine, its only for a week.

Thanks.

It's not so much the food that i'm bothered about because i'm still eating semi-healthy, it's more about the alcohol that i'm consuming this week.

Meh, dont turn it into a lifestyle and you'll be fine, thats a fair rule of thumb. Assuming you do infact get back to the usual as you plan to, then enjoy your time off, well earned.

A week is about as long as you can take off without your body deteriorating

Nah, I won't allow it to turn in to a lifestyle, I just feel like I should enjoy myself a little.

Thanks a lot though, it's a nice, positive reply.

Well everything in moderation is a good way to live by. I used to be a heavy drinker, and at 18 and 280lb (now cut alcohol completely and at 235lb) its not good for you. I guess considering your shape, you arent worried about putting on a pound or two that you can easily work off. Everyone needs a break sometimes, you earned it so enjoy it.
