So /fit/,
You go to bed wishing for a body like Arnie,

You wake up and boom, you magically have it, but it's all real muscle, and will fade if you don't continue to work out.

How long do you reckon it would take for it just to turn to fat?
Would it be possible for us normal people to even train enough to keep those muscles?

This is all hypothetical of course. Just a bit of fun.

Having that much muscle is obvious attainable if you train enough, but to keep it up it would require too much time to really do anything else... most of those people work out every day of the week for hours, no life.

That much muscle is not attainable, unless you're bathed in testosterone of the natural or injectable kind. I train as often as my muscles allow, and I'm merely... svelte. Oh, and I'm not one of those guys that always say, "I just wanna be toned!" or else I'd be creaming my pants when I look in the mirror.

muscles have memory. it takes less time to retrain them. if they were trained for six months and you lose it, it could take six weeks to retrain it . I believe this addresses the real underlying question. so if you want to take a break from being superfit, it's okay. The next time around won't take as long. note however, large fluctuations in body mass are dangerous, especially not in really short time periods.
