Sup /fit/

sort of odd question here.

How do I stop myself from gaining muscle when I do active shit? I like having a thin, lean body with natural cuts, but when I get out and run around and stuff my triceps and pectoral muscles gain muscle fast, but when I don't lift weights, it turns to fat. It's a lame cycle.

tl;dr how do I stop this blasted muscle gain!

Sir, your biology is in error! Muscle is composed of myo-fiber, which are made up largely of proteins! Disgusting fat is composed of fat cells! There is no way for the one to spontaneously turn to the other! To argue such is to appeal to Godless alchemy!

When did protein start turning into lipids? Last I checked, they are very differnt things

I mean, I was doing some intense physical activity a while back, shortly after, I noticed that my muscles were more defined than usual.
I didn't like it, so i reduced my exercise.

Now my arm is kinda jiggly... it wasn't like that before the activity.

lol.

That's called working out. When that happens, you can get a pump.

Since you stopped exercising though, you got fat. Hence jiggly arm.

So the key is, don't exercise, stay skinny? I'd like to find a way to not put any muscle when I exercise, like maybe a less protein-centric diet?

You're probably not putting on muscle just from being active unless you're very weak to begin with. And even if you are, it's not making you fat later. You're making yourself fat by not exercising.

But yes, starving yourself will make you eat your muscles.

The key is don't exercise get fat.

Just run a lot. You won't get big like that.

Also, why are you afraid of some muscle? Trust me, you won't get big for a long ass time. Years are what were talking about.

I don't really exercise that much, but i'm definatly not weak. I used to train really hard but i'm not really into that any more. I lost the most weight, strangely enough, while I wasn't working out. Like 15 pounds.

interesting, I guess I just have to ditch this muscle.

Lost weight after I stopped working out

That's called losing muscle. Why do you want to do this again?

It's strange though. When i was the skinniest I was 140. But now i'm 135? Is it possible my 'weight gain' is psychological?

ah jeeze I guess I just knew way less than I thought I did about my body.

I guess I gotta start runnin'

Yea, fat a muscle are two different things.

I'm 175, and I'm skinner than looking than guys who are 30 pounds lighter than me.

It's all about body fat %.

Any sort of endurance exercise facilitates a lean body. Look at long distance runners, cyclists, rock climbers compared to sprint versions of those sports. So whatever you do, just do more of it for longer.
