Hey anon, I've been seriously considering losing weight for some time now. I'm 19 years old 6'4 and i'm coming close to 300 pounds(i think i'm around 280). I think about losing weight and i get so pumped about it, but then i can never follow through. Any tips on how to keep motivated? as well as the best way to lose weight! I'm so lost,I don't even know where to start!.... and i have man boobs!

Thanks!

if you don't lose weight, you'll die twenty years earlier than if you started exercising and eating well tomorrow

also it'll probably be a humiliating and expensive death like diabetes or pulmonary problems

no attractive woman will ever find you attractive in your current state

get a workout friend

if none are in sight, then pay for a trainer to encourage you, or seriously try on your own for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, you will see some results and feel 100x better, and will want to continue. The initial step is tough and painful...thats why a workout buddy is great to help you get through it.

You're pathetic. Look at this dude, he has no arms and yet he gets his ass up in the morning and heads to the gym. Now what's your excuse?

I found this picture of a guy who was waaaaay fat and he lost all the weight and he's way skinny now. I use that as motivation.

Plus, I wanna be way buff for my girlfriend.

Take it painfully slow, so you don't even notice.

Start with drinks. Switch to diet soda, then to fruit juice, then to vitamin water, then just to water. Even if you are drinking fruit juice for a month, it's better than soda.

Then, you can move on to food. Start having breakfast. Have half deserts, maybe fruit salad instead of cake. Replace salt and cheese with herbs, and grill instead of frying. Replace beef with chicken, etc...

Then find something you like to do. Maybe you like basketball, or swimming, karate, whatever. Start doing that, even if you're a lardass, you'll get better. Then you can start walking more, or jogging, elliptical, whatever, and you'll be training with a purpose, to get better at something you like. Do the same with weights. Start slow, maybe once a week, and build up until you're going maybe four days a week.

Unless you have immense willpower (it sounds like you don't, and most people don't), you need to find a physical activity you enjoy, and you can use training for that as a motivation for cario and weights.

As for food, that's the shit you just need to make habit, one bit at a time.
