Okay, I need some advice on a workout/eating regiment. I want to be as fit as I was three years ago in high school. Throughout life I've been fluctuating wildly.

In middle school I was about 13, male, 215 lbs. Jello.

In high school, I was 18, 143 lbs. I could bench 115% of my bodyweight, do more than 10 chin-ups, etc. I mostly used ephedrine and starvation for initial weight loss then bulked up by eating healthily once the fat was gone.

Now I'm 22, male (still male, checking... checking... yep, still male), 5'9" and 182 lbs. I want to be 145 lbs or less. I don't want to be bulked up like Arnold Schwarzenegger, I'd rather be more toned like Bruce Lee, who was 5'7" and 130- 145lbs. (I'm Asian... Asian Arnold would just look weird...)

Eating changes: I've stopped eating fast food entirely, I used to eat fast food at least 4-5 times a week. I used to drink an energy drink 1-2 times a day, now I drink them once a week, if that.

Exercise changes: I didn't exercise whatsoever, now I exercise 45 minutes to 3 hours every day, taking a break day about once a week.

I will usually work upper body on day 1 (pecs, triceps, biceps), then aerobics on day 2 (jogging; I have chondromalacia {knee disorder} and I'm not supposed to jog, so I go easy on the impact to make up for it). Day 3 is the rest of the upper body and entire lower body. Day 4 is aerobics again.

Supplement changes: I now take a multivitamin every day with cereal. I also take the diet pill "Xyience X FB-AM" daily. I take 2 when I wake up and then 1 with a cup of coffee 6 hours later (it says to take 2, but I drink coffee instead because I don't want to overdo it).

Should I experience gains with what I'm doing? Over the past 4 days I've gained 1.5 lbs over a steady rate. I've also quit drinking and other such substance use. This day is the first day I've actually lost weight (.35 lbs).

Any tips? Tricks? I want to be built like Bruce Lee, not Arnold.... Any help or support would be much appreciated, thank you everyone.

If you're trying to go from 182 to 145 lbs, I would say that now is not the time to try and put on muscle. HIIT and drop 25-30 lbs first maybe?

Don't listen to him. If you have time, you can lose weight and gain muscle at once. Eating a lot is important to gaining muscle but it isn't essential especially with what you're going for. I would do more aerobic activity, biking if you can and swimming if you can't. 4 days of cardio and 3 of weights. Intensity is important.
