The Dark One !UYklPQPVhw
I have a question about HIIT cardio.

How I've been doing it is I'll follow a DVD cardio max program and, after each set, quickly pause the DVD and do about 20 seconds of jump rope (which usually shoots my heart rate to around 80% of max).

Is mixing up the workout like this truly considered HIIT? Or does it have to be the same exercise throughout, only increasing the intensity every minute?

I don't have access to any cardio equipment and don't have any expanse area to walk/run.

could be anything, jump rope, burpees, pushups, jog run.

The key is that you are following the protocol alternate between high and low intensity
