how do i get rid of an hourglass figure - i am a dude who was a little chubby, started building strength and have been gaining muscle and losing fat but still have the hourglass thing going on.. do i just need to keep bulking/lifting and it will eventually even out?

If you're doing squats and deadlifts your whole trunk should be filling out.

You should be getting wider shoulders and your torso should be widening to match your hips.

do some heavy deadlifts along with a normal workout routine. you could also do pullups, rows, lat pulldowns etc.. but deadlifts will hit alot of muscles, my favorite compound exercise

hard to tell without a pic but sounds like you might be lacking in your lats
