/fit/, to increase calorie intake from my very low amount, I decided to buy oatmeal, since I hear it's good for you. While at Wal Mart, I noticed the Kashi GOLEAN oatmeal. It was one of those instant ones, which I hear aren't good for you. However, while reading the nutrition bar, I saw that it had both more protein and fiber than the normal Quakers oatmeal. The Kashi one had 9 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber, while the normal oatmeal had like 7 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber (both have same serving size, 40 grams). So, why would the instant one be worse? Here is a link to the Kashi one's info:

Just because it's instant doesn't mean it's bad for you, but you need to pick and choose. Instant oatmeal is often processed with additional salt, sugar, flavorings and colorings.

Ok, I hope it's good then. Any more comments would be nice, but I gotta go sleep. Hope it tastes good in the morning...

dude, are you gonna ever be disappointed. Kashi products taste like twigs and bark. Pure Fail.

Since you are shit out of luck and bought a box already, I would suggest adding honey, nuts, fruit, yogurt etc.

Lame cereal is lame.

Wait, so it's just the Kashi stuff?

Today, I tried it out. I dunno, it smelt so fucking good when I was making it. I was hurrying to school though, so I had to quickly finish my egg beater with 40 calorie per slice sandwich (160 calories total, fuck yeah), and then I started to eat the oatmeal. I did not add anything to it.

I dunno... Maybe I was too full, but I was turned off by it. I ate probably half of it, but I couldn't really down anymore. What do I do to make it tastier? Add some Splenda?

Fruit works - I always add blueberries to my oatmeal.

Kirkland Organic brand is best. If you have a Costco nearby, you can buy a huge box of assorted flavors for cheap.

For my morning oatmeal I pour some Quaker instant, the plain stuff, into a bowl, and mix half a serving of my vanilla whey powder into it. It gives it the needed flavor and a protein boost. Think about it.

I just wanted to pop in here and say that Kashi is the most awesome cereal in the world, or at least the cold milk and cereal one with "crunchy fiber twigs, soy protein grahams, and honey puffs. I've never tried the other stuff (like oatmeal).

But... since we're talking about oatmeal, I'll contribute the power of cinnamon and nuts, while seconding fresh fruit.
