/fit/, what can I do to help with dark circles under my eyes? What's the best way to temporarily get rid of them? ( at least for a week, for a convention )

I don't want to use makeup, I just want to be rid of them. Just for a little while is good. Maybe forever.

anything that increases blood circulation in that area.

I use ice cube wrapped in cloth and massage it around, once a week at least. cucumber for 15 minutes helps as well.

Strange, it seems that this condition doesn't have a proper medical term. I've been searching google, wikipedia, and pubmed and all I'm finding is layman terms.

"Increases circulation". Correct me if I'm wrong, but heat expands blood vessels, cold contracts...

Correcting...

When human body is in cold the circulation of intestines and all vital organs is a lot faster than normally, but the outmost parts are slower.

Logically thinking and experiences from being in a sauna when swapping between chilly and warm the blood circulation in skin is increased ridiculously

Slice cucumbers and place them over your closed eyes for about 10 minutes a day. The moisture and temperature in the cucumbers (if they've been refrigerated) really helps with dark circles.

I think it's either or. Although you don't want something hot to touch the eyes do you?

I heard that rubbing the affected area with cat urine also helps. The minerals specific to cat urine help stimulate the capillaries under the eyes.

Sclerotherapy, where a saline solution is injected into the under-eye veins to cause them shrivel up and be absorbed by the body, is the best treatment.

Dark circles happen because of the veins under your eye show through the skin as well, dark purple circular patches.

Get plenty of sleep, take and antihistamine if the dark circles are as a result of an allergy, and also, the reason eye creams help with dark circles is because they temporarily inject water into the skin and puffs it up, causing it to become opaque.

Dark circles are corrected in cosmetic surgery by injecting fat (usually from the buttocks) into the skin below the eye.

Having dark circles and "bags" of loose skin under your eyes are two different things.
