Hmmm..let's see here:
Muscle makes the man: muscles won't guarantee you a nice home, the job of your dreams, or that girl you always think about. Reaching a certain goal can serve as a confidence booster, and can teach you that anything you want badly in life requires consistent hard work and dedication.
Real men have hairy chests: not sure where you got this...I've a fair amount of hair around my pecs, and it's never bothered me. Can't ever imagine shaving my chest...too weird.
If you're skinny you're a wimp: I mean I understand the disdain towards fat people for not putting in the effort in changing their eating habits, but why knock skinny people? Not everybody thinks you need a huge build to get anywhere in life.
I workout for myself, not the girls: well...not exactly.
I initially started working out as an extremely effective form of stress management (look ma, no drugs!), but there is one girl I always think about while I work out, and I always imagine the look on her face when she looks at how I've radically changed my physique.
Problem is, she's on the other side of the planet.
So mostly stress/anger management. Girls? I'm honestly in so much pain working out, that I can't find it in myself to care.
Thinking of that one girl makes the pain go away, though.
