so /fit/ I have a fairly atheltic build with a BMI of 10% 21 5'1" and 130 pounds bench around 165-170 the most i ever weighed was 142 pounds when i was unloading freight off 18 wheelers so i can get more size if needed.

my question: i am about to take a job where ill have to bash mother fuckers heads in and obviously, despite my strength for my height, im still very small compared to your average 200 lb black guy. What tips, suggestions, training (weight/fighting styles) should i undertake so i can at least hang in there with large guys like this for a couple minutes without getting killed lol

im aware of this and trust me im not actively looking for trouble but physical altercations WILL occur where i am and ill have to be ready to hold out for at least two minutes max (im guessing thats about the most reasonable amount of time i can ask from myself if i train)

learn some BJJ + Muay Thay, otherwise you suck

You know, you are smaller than the average girl, so.. It sucks, you probably know it.

find a buddy and spar.... keep going until your form is absolute shit... repeat once or more per week.... gloves are a good idea... grappling, striking, and kicking should all be allowed....

make sure both of you know self-control before doing this

> grappling, striking, and kicking

wtf is striking? do you mean punching. kicking and grappling is not a good idea in RL fighting, especially for this guy's height.

it's good to have a buddy to try things with... that way he can figure out what works

also, by striking: I mean fist, backhand, forearm, and elbow hits

grappling would be even worse then.

It sounds like you've taken a job as security, law enforcement, or best of all, a bouncer. Might I suggest these:

-Judo/Jiu Jitsu (You can do BJJ, but they're really just Judo practitioners that are too absorbed in Gracie JJ.)

-Krav Maga (very good self defense, some solid techniques for opponents weilding weapons)

-Chin Na (basically, controlling an opponent's joints and pressure points. Very useful. There are books out that teach this)

-Avoid Tae Kwon Do for offensive purposes. TKD can give your legs exercise and flexibility, but it's not very practical.

-If you can, by any means, learn escrima.

I also suggest anything that has a form. Learning forms give you a sense of your body's capabilities. But remember, do not get stuck in a pattern after you've learned shit. Striking can be effective, but only if you do it right. Same can be said of anything.

Also, obviously, you'd want to bulk up a bit more.

Tae Kwon Do really isnt good for people with short legs like me lol
