Hey, so I have a question vaguely related to mental health, and I figured this'd be the least retarded board to post in. I have a girlfriend and we're really happy together. The problem is, I've always been the jealous type. When I say jealous type, I mean when I logically know there's no reason to be jealous at all over something, and I know I'm only making things difficult, I still can't help but be jealous. I can barely control it. I've been this way as long as I can remember. Is anybody else like this? Does anyone have some real advice about how to stay sane about things? Thank you so much.

Such helpful and relevant advice. I've been jealous all my life, as in before I was seeing her.

You're jealousy is an instinctive behavior ingrained in you from thousands of generations of cheating whores. You want exclusive boning rights to your girlfriends vag, so that your win genetics can be passed on to the next generation. All your hormones and shit will fuck with you to ensure that you make it happen.

Okay, now somebody's making some sense. But I see plenty of people who are much more chill about things than me. How do the quell that raging fire within?

Take all that hate and rage, crush it down into a little ball and bottle it up inside. Be ready to split your lungs with blood and thunder when that slut cheats on you.

So you can either trust your girlfriend, or accept that she probably subconsciously looks for other dicks to fuck and deal with it.

Seriously though, I have no idea, I'm not a particularly jealous person. l2selfcontrol/confidence in your relationship I guess.

Think about when you first realized that you were jealous. Did something happen in your past like your mother or father had an affair. It is possible that your jealousy stems from a past event and if you can identify it it may help you find an explanation that can let you look into the future rather than to stay in the past. Which in this day and age it is not uncommon that there is cheating and what not but think about what you are feeling and why you feel that way and remember that not everyone is the same.

Sounds healthy. I mean, guys check out girls, so I accept that she checks out guys. It's only fair.

No cheating parents or anything. I guess yeah, it's that it seems like everywhere I look people are cheating whores, men and women alike. But your advice is good, that not everybody is like that. I'm not, and I'm as confident as I can be that she's not, so I'll hold onto that. Thank you.
