Peeling hands in winter. Anonymous
Well this is 'health' and fitness, so i'll ask here.

Every winter my hands start peeling from the palms out, usually starting at the protruding bits (bits that would be touching the table if you lay your hand flat) and working outwards, the skin just simply peels away, thickens up a bit and once winter is over, dissapears to reveal baby-smooth hands.

I even had MASSIVE col...coluses? (spelling) on my hands from manual labor at one point, some concrete (limestone) damage to go with it, but one winter since i'v left there, and already my hands are 100% rejuvinated.

Is this normal? I don't want to go to a doctor about it and be laughed out of the office. It's very disgusting to look at when it happens though so it does kind of mess with my life a little.

It's quite normal for callouses on hands and feet to peel away. Nothing to worry about.
