Okay /fit/
what results can I expect from just doing a shitload of push ups (and variations of them) as well as bicycle crunches?

Who knows everyone is different, you didn't even say how many you could do in one go.

Add weight till you can only do 10-15 then slowly build up the weight.

Differentfag here
Start at like 1/8 of your body weight.
In order to avoid back problems, make sure the weight is in line with your arms and shoulders vertically and not halfway down your back or anything retarded. You could also do one armed pushups.

Bike crunches will get you some killer abs and obliques.

The advantage to the pushups and crunches is that they both give you a strong core compared to only doing benchpress, at the expense of not being able to get massive like you would benching 350 lbs.
