The secret to getting larger muscle is heavy weight, low reps, multiple sets, and SLOW down reps, quick up reps. Resisting gravity will tear your muscle up and cause them to grow bigger.
So ankle weighted leg raises, ankle weight captains chair, weighted crunches, pretty much anything weighted.
