Yep, what has already been said is true. Once you don't know exactly what you're eating, it becomes impossible to count calories with any real amount of accuracy. You could guess, but it'd be about as accurate as... well, you know.
Anyway, if you're talking about just losing weight, then you can do it without knowing every single thing you eat. It'll be harder to track, and really difficult if you operate near the margin between maintaining weight and losing weight, but it's still doable.
If you're adamant about losing weight, then make your own meals or ask your mom/dad/chefs to tell you what they're making, the ingredients, etc... just so you can keep track. They shouldn't mind as long as you point out that it's not to build a legal case against them, but just to keep track of your weight.
If, like my parents would, your parents are patronizing, then just stop coming home for dinner for a couple of months. Make food at a friend's place or something, then come home late.
