less is more

>>342569 >>342761 it rocks at a subconscious level. you only need to do two things. you need them to respect your choices. and secondly you need to show them quiet resignedness. what i mean to say is you need to shut the fuck up. stop saying lots of words to talk about your healthiness to them. What's the point? They obviously do not want to listen to those words.
remember school classes on a subject you didn't understand? Your eyes glazed over, all you want to do is get out, away, your brain turns off and screens out the white noise? that's what you are being like to them.
Now the proper way to respond to an offer to go to McDonald's is "no. {silence}". the silence is vital, at this time you will politely WAIT for them to respond. And I mean politely, no fidgeting, no detracting interruptions or sounds, nothing to fuck up their minds grinding to realize you do not want to go to McDonald's. This may take several seconds. Reapply this as needed.
In these cases I would strongly advise to use as few words as possible, the opposite of what you seem to of been doing. Just say .. "I'd rather not". and minimize the explanation why. Block entire paragraphs or entire sentences you would have said formally. bite your God damn tongue. now if they're interested why, then, that is your opportunity to open up a little. If they actually give a damn to your responses, you maybe you can open up some more.
is any of this making sense? Or does it just sound like I'm making shit up out of my ass? less is more. you can't expect a Volkswagen to become a race car right away.
