So as not to be a disfigured freak, I do all my lifting with dumbbells and always do the same number of reps with each hand. I find that if I use a bar instead I can lift a lot more weight, but assume that it is righty getting the extra workout, which is what I am trying to avoid. Even after a year of this rule is righty still way bigger than lefty.wtf?
I assume you're right handed... maybe all the stuff you do with your hands that aren't work out related?

my trainer downplays the unequal strength, focusing on having equal reps done, always even when one side is more tired than the other. says they'll even out.
