Hey /fit/ never posted here before but I've browsed a few times, nice joint.

Anyways simple question, 9 day separation of workout for a muscle group, is that to much? For example I work my legs out today and then the next time I do would be next Wednesday. Is that to big a gap?

7 days is fine. So you can do the same muscle group the same day each week.

Yes, take it from me. I did that sort of thing for two years, and in all that time my maximum bench only went up by about thirty lbs. It's gone up forty five lbs in the last two six months working out once every two or three days.

This is the workout schedule I try to stick to. Except I do Mondays: Legs, Wednesday: Arms, Friday: Chest. To fit them all in I just do the compound workouts.
