How does one train to be able to eat more? I've been working out for the past 3-4 months or so very consistently, and I've been eating all the right foods, but I don't think I'm eating enough. How can I get more food in my body, and more importantly metabolize it?

OP again. Forgot to mention I haven't gained any weight, just tone.

Stomache size depends on how much you usually eat. Find something you enjoy eating a lot and eat as much as you can at once.

That's the theory anyway; I'm pretty much fucked like op. I can't do cardio to get an appetite because I don't have spare calories.

Something I'm curious about... is overeating a bad idea? i.e. is it easier on your stomach to digest a lot of small portions over time as opposed to one very large one?

your stomach will just give up and shit out the rest once it's taken in enough of the food, so it's just a waste of food

>>drink lots of water

Wait, I thought drinking water was a way to not eat as much and lose weight. Like drinking water before meals makes you fuller, therefore less food consumed.

Well, no don't think you lose weight with water.

I wanted to say that drinking water should be a habit just like eating solids. I used to drink water all the time to make myself "full" in between meals and I think it indirectly helped my appetite.

Become very, very, skinny. Not because you'll be hungry, but because there is more room for your stomach to expand. That's why women and Japanese people usually win eating contests.

drink a cup of water just before a meal. this stimulates digestion, signaling the digestive system for food. tastes on the tongue, or in smells (they're connected) trigger more hunger. i think it triggers releases enzymes, for sure it does when the food's in the gastrointestinal tract, but I'm too lazy to check that now.

20 minutes before is perfect. 10 minutes of just a few minutes is OK. when I first started, it seemed very weird to try drinking a WHOLE cup before food. I didn't really want it. But it worked. It jump-started me out of crap foods to a hunger for real foods. Just takes a few days or tries to get used to. having water during or after the meal can kind of slow down absorption, but not really.

Wait... drinking water before meals is usually the diet fag's argument for losing weight because it fills your stomach. What gives?

The dietfag approach is to have a sip of water between mouthfuls during mealsrather than a substantial time before eating. All makes sense to me.

As far as I remember, water actually dilutes the enzymes in your stomach, making digestion harder, which is why you're not supposed to drink much of it when you're sick.
