I Think I Feel a Miscarriage Coming On !PRvAKqH.Z6
So, /fit/

I want to get back into a healthy lifestyle, a healthy weight, etc.

I'm going to be doing a shitton of cardio considering I'm a fatass, but is there anything I can do to increase my resting metabolic rate as well? I've heard certain foods can do so, and i've heard rumors of negative calorie foods - though I doubt there's such a thing, foods that burn more calories than they contain.

Also, hunger suppression. How?

Drink a tall glass of water before each meal, and eat slowly. Make sure it takes at least 20 minutes to finish your meal.

Hmmm, ok. What about smoking? Obviously not healthy lung wise, but it helped with hunger a few minutes ago. I was hungry, went and smoked and took a walk, no longer hungry. Yes/no?

Spicy foods and eating a healthy actual BREAKFAST will help it speed up. Warning though, you'll get extra hungry.

That's not a bad thing though because A: that means your metabolism might be kicking in (unless you're just plain addicted to food), and B: it can be cured by eating good food.

When hungry just eat something healthy like a big ass banana (or fruits in general are good, especially in the summer) or sour dough pretzels. The latter not vitamin rich BUT fat free.

Good luck!

I'd say that's only because you're addicted to smoking in the first place. I'd cut out the smoking more so than change my exercise/diet habits. First eliminate the smoking, then incorporate diet and exercise. Or you could swap smoking for exercise.

Also detoxing yourself from processed foods helped me a lot from hunger cravings. Without all the addictive chemicals, you'll realize you were probably not hungry in the first place, and just addicted.

Fruit juice detox (doesn't even have to be more than a few days) is one of the best things you could do for your body no matter what your weight.

Get the fuck out of my fit with that voodoo bullshit.

Processed foods do not leave 'toxins' in your body, that is all a sack of shit and the second someone mentioned toxins or detox in this context they should be shot.

So no detox shit at all?

I can find you probably hundreds of very reliable articles that will say basically the same thing, detox treatments, parasite removal, and general 'cleansing' treatments are bullshit, you do not have any toxins or parasites.

Even if there were such things as processed food toxins WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR LIVER DOES?

I'm sorry this hippy ghost story really pisses me off.

Considering I'm was formally a drug addict and alcohol abuser, I wouldn't be surprised if my liver was fucked.

I'd love to see those articles though...

It's not voodoo bullshit. There's literally addictive qualities in your food that are man made and pretty much not meant to be in your body.

Detoxing with fruit juice is just really healthy over all. I don't know why you'd stop someone from making such a healthy choice just because you don't want to believe that maybe just MAYBE some shit was never meant to be consumed in the first place.

I'll basically tell you this:

My friend did not have an exercise regimen at ALL and she lost 50 pounds from just switching to organic food and cutting out a lot of meat.

In order to lose weight (and be healthy) you'll have to make a lot of BIG decisions. Prioritize what's the most important to you: shit that makes you happy the moment you eat it but makes you feel likes shit the rest of the time, or something that might actually require actual willpower but results.

calorie negative foods: look up celery.

increasing metabolism: i posted a link a few weeks ago from a physiologist at the university of texas medical school but i'm too lazy to look it up again: adding 10 lbs of muscle increases daily metabolic rate calories by 100/day.

spicy foods do inc rease metabolism, but the effect is very limited. also look into caffeine supplements and ephedra. there are warning to go with each of those but you need to do the research and judge for yourself. google is your friend.

muscle mass is lost a lot faster than fat, and by cutting out protein (which is the worst thing you can do in a fat loss diet) that's pretty much all she lost. judging by how knowledgeable your friend seems at this point, i'm also guessing her "diet" consisted of pretty much starving herself. when she stops dieting, because she won't be able to keep that up forever, she'll get even fatter than she was in the first place.

and if you're a troll as i first suspected, fuck you.

Oh Jesus Christ dude you're dense.

She's cut out meat then became a fucking VEGETARIAN. She eats so much blackbeans and dark leafy greens that she gets plenty of protein.

A troll -- oh my fucking -- everything.

So I bet you're an Atkins mongler then if cutting out meat = troll?

Pssht. No serious bodybuilder or athlete is a vegan. Check out your average vegan, and he's a sallow-faced pussy.

Vegan body builders muscles look more cooler to me somehow.

Also that's more terrifying than wow factor.

Aerobic exercise (cardio) doesn't increase your BMR, anaerobic exercise (weights) does.

Celery is a negative food, it's mostly water and fibers, so yes it is a negative food, your metabolism burns more energy digesting it then it absorbs from it.

To increase your metabolism start lifting some weights. Muscles will burn more calories to sustain themselves, so it will increase your metabolism
