So /fit/, I lost 30 pounds over the summer, with alot of your help.

I went from 220 to 190. So thanks, /fit/.

However, I started not caring about what I ate again because I didn't see any weight gains, but I weighed myself a few days ago, 192lbs. So I cut down, and today I'm 195.

How the fuck do I stop these major gains? I can't do vigorous exercise because I have a really fucked up back. (I lost all 30 by dieting. Not starving myself.)

What the fuck do I do to stop this /fit/? I'm fucking scared that tomorrow I'll be 220lbs agan.

Picture related.

What do you mean?

And I've been 190 for about two months now, so it's not like I just reached 190.

And a little bit of history-I dropped my water weight in s snap. The first 10 pounds were gone almost instantly. After that, I plateaued at 200, then I started eating a little bit more (not unhealthier, just a bit more) and dropped to 190.

But yeah /fit/ I really need your help. I'm going to start eating healthy again and I've learned my lesson, but am I fucked?

This.
Also, take a dump.
My weight fluctuates 10 pounds in a week depending on how much I eat/drink/shit/piss/sweat.

That might be it to.

I'm SEVERELY constipated. Like really bad. (back pain medication)

Does being backed up play a role in weight gain?

It's not OMG I'M FAT SO I MAKE EXCUSES. I have to be on opiates and muscle relaxers 24/7. My L4 and L5 platelets are all out of wack.

Holy shit the EXACT same thing happened to me.

Switch up your workout. Seriously, if you're biking start running; running try swimming.

Also, eat something large one day then try to work off that calorie count. That's how I got back on the wagon again. Worked like a charm. You just need to toss up your body again once it gets used to your routine.

What the fuck are you talking about?

OP, you're a fucking idiot.
You said so yourself you started eating whatever because you didn't see any weight-gain.

Use some common sense - You're either constipated or you're still stuffing ding-dongs down your throad.

Fucking duh it can play a role in weight. I can lose a good 5 or 10 pounds from a good shit. So can you.

YOU AREN'T GOING TO MAGICALLY GAIN WEIGHT!
Water is about 8.7lbs per gallon.
And a pound of fat is 3500 calories. Did you eat a gallon of icecream?

So you think you gained 5 pounds in a few days? How much did you eat? At what times did you weigh your self in the day?

I had surgery on my knee, and I have a severe bulging disk with nerve complications. I squat 500lbs, dead lift 600lbs, and clean and jerk 315. SO DON'T FUCKING COMPLAIN about your fucking back.

You can make a choice dude, stop feeling sorry for your self, and work though the pain, or you can plead your pity case, and ask /fit/ for sympathy.

+- 10 lbs means little to me. one night i weighed myself. next day i took a huge shit, ate a small lunch, and didn't drink many fluids. weighed myself again and i'd lost 10 lbs.

it's more important to watch the long term trend than the day to day fluctuations. weigh yourself every day at the same time having followed the same daily habits, and chart it on a graph.

When I lost weight fast I charted it like a dork. But it helps to see the long-term progression as well as the intermittent periods of loss and plateau.

I'm not asking for fucking sympathy. I know I could do different workouts if I wanted to. This whole back thing started right when I started working out, and it's new to me. I tried to tough it out and workout but I would seriously collapse it would start to hurt so bad. I'm slowly starting to find different ways I can burn calories without hurting my back.

I don't sit in front of my computer eating ding dongs. I go for walks and play drums, I just don't do organized exercise and HIIT and shit.

I didn't start eating a shit ton of fat, I just kind of stopped caring. I would eat fried food if I wanted to, I'd eat take out leftovers for lunch instead of my usual healthy low calorie lunch, etc.

I was just asking for advice. But I forgot that /fit/ is fucking /b/ without the fat.

Thanks to everyone who gave advice without OMG STOP FORCING TWINKIES DOWN YOUR THROAT AND FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF.

May I ask how you lost your weight?
>> Anonymous
Constipation can play a huge roll in random weight fluctuations, yes. I suspect that's where your 3 pounds came from.

My advice is this: get a measuring tape and measure yourself. Buy a pair of pants that are snug in the waist or something like that. Don't worry about the scale too much, and go by measurements/size changes. Weight fluctuates so randomly, and most people don't understand why, and it fucks with their goals/what they're trying to do/etc. Just back away from the (mostly worthless) scale and take a deep breath. Do some measurements, and wait it out. Start eating healthier, yes... that's ALWAYS good for you. If you can't exercise, it's not the end of the world... especially if you still move around.

I made two changes:
1. Went on a restricted calorie diet. Ate between 1000-1500 calories per day. FYI I'm 5'10, mesomorph with a bit heavier frame than average (broad shoulders, big wrists, sink instead of float... you get the idea). Also FYI, I have training in medicine, chemistry, and physiology, so I was very careful to monitor myself for any warning signs of ill health that can come with a RC diet (ketosis, kidney failure, etc.).
2. Started working out regularly. I did bodyweight exercises including the use of a home chin-dip station, and I ran a 1.25 mile loop around the neighborhood for time. Meaning I tried to run that 1.25 mile as fast as possible.

The RC diet was to lose the fat. The exercise was to keep the muscle, because on an RC diet, your body will cannibalise itself.

You need more god damn muscle. Work the fuck out with actual weights, and stop worrying about your weight directly. The more muscle you have, the less prone you'll be to being fat due to bad dieting principles.
>> Anonymous
OP, is surgery an option for you? They can fix bulging and herniated discs, you know.

OP here

Ate some Exlax, took a shit, down to 188.

But I learned my lesson. I'm going to try to do some different exercises every day and not start eating shit all the time again.

Thanks for your motivation /fit/
