Yes, your body started get used to more wholesome foods. This is an INFAMOUS problem for military servicemen and women, who often graduate basic training and then try to go eat McDonald's or their favorite comfort snacks, only to end up with extreme stomach aches and bad gas because the military food put their body into healthy mode, so to speak.
Happened to my friend when he got back from US Marine boot camp. We all went out to celebrate with him and got tons of booze, pizza, donuts, etc. He was messed up all the next day because his body couldn't deal with all the fat and sugar.
But this is a good thing for you, OP. You had one bad diet day, and you're going to remember how bad it made you feel, so you'll be less likely to do it again. I'm pretty much identical to your stats (21, 5'11", 200 pounds as of this morning) and I just kind of "cheated" this morning by snacking on crackers and salsa after I ate a pretty healthy breakfast. Probably didn't add on too many calories, but I feel both guilty for losing control a bit and feel kind of ill because it was a sudden influx of starch which I've been avoiding.
