Sup /fit/,

I lost a bunch of weight over the last 8 months. Well, around 15kg, so not that much, but whatever. And now I'm getting some muscle definition from doing some proper exercise and shit. s'all good.

I've noticed I've suddenly gotten a crap load of stretch marks. Went to a chemist yesterday, and the guy told me that they are permanent once you have them. wtf?

tl;dr are stretch marks really permanent?

yes, most of the time. But they tend to get light complected and less noticeable. Best thing to do is gain muscle in that area to stretch it out a bit.

they will never go away. they will only fade over time but you can help it with cocoa butter with vitamin e.

While they're fresh (red) you can get a couple of ointments that pregnant women usually take for that purpose. It won't make them go away completely but it will minimize them.

Two friends tried these ointements and were satisfied by the results.

You can ask a doctor (probably a dermatologist) to give you a prescription for the ointments.

There's laser surgery.

permanent they are, take a look at most porno you can see them.

they will fade from red to normal skin tone, but when you tan will be slightly lighter, either way its a badge of pride, you can say you used to be a fat ass, but aren't anymore, id rather be skinny and healthy with stretch marks than fat and unhealthy with stretch marks.

mederma, and a few other skin care things will reduce and sometimes eliminate scars from surgery and old stretch marks, but the shits like 20 bucks per 2 ounce tube!
