Ok, a lot of people on this board are probably in your position, so instead of giving the usual concise advice I will go into more detail so you truly appreciate the seriousness behind it.
Core Strength: Core strength is vital to everyone, all activity you do including sitting down relies on the strength of your core muscles. It is a strong lower back, and strong abdominals, lower, upper, side, strong hips, good breathing technique, strong glutes.
Visible Abs: Are a bi-product of low body fat percentage. Once you are under a specific number, (its different for everyone) you will have a visible 2-pack, 4-pack, 6-pack whatever it may be.
If you want Visible Abs- you should eat less sugars and fats, more vegetables and fruits drink more water and run.
If you want a Strong Core- you should focus on supplementing heavy compound lifting with bodyweight exercises such as roman chair situps, reverse hypers, yoga, L-holds and Pullups.
If you want both you should dedicate equal portion throughout your week to eating clean, running, lifting heavy, and bodyweight exercises.
Doing 1000000 situps every night is not only a waste of time, it is dumb. You should work your lower back in equal portions, or face serious muscular domination (and posture) problems which may lead to injuries later in life.
