So, let me get this straight.

Bulking cycle: eat a few hundred extra calories, do high weight/low rep lifts

Cutting cycle: eat a few hundred less calories than I need, do high rep/low weight lifts

Do I have that right?

Heart problems? But why?

No, moderate reps (8 to 12) with a high weight are better for putting on mass. There is absolutely no reason to train with low reps while cutting, and it will possibly result in you losing more strength and size than necessary. You should train the same way you did while bulking, you just won't gain strength as quickly. If you want to burn more calories, try shorter rest periods. Don't do that trendy high rep, low weight shit.

because it is not good for your weight to constantly fluctuate. people do this because bodybuilders do it. and it is alright if you are a bodybuilder, with a strict nutrition plan. but thing is, body builders a) make their money with the way they look, b) have strict nutritional plans, and c) were usually big to begin with. "clean bulking" is the only healthy way to go. don't lose weight if you plan on gaining it again.

Also, fat is very hard to lose once gained. Fat =/= muscle.
