I need 2600 calories a day. How many should I cut to lose fat, but not muscle?

Cut 250, then weight train and do aerobics totaling about 250 a day and you'll lose weight and keep, possibly even add muscle.

DDR's awesome. It's how I got from 220 185. Playing songs on standard and heavy really get you moving and it's fun so you want to keep doing it. You should really incorporate some weight training and eat a good amount of protein though so that you keep your muscle mass, although a lot of pushups and squats should be sufficient.

I also forgot to mention in my previous post that the 250 deficit of calories and using 250 a day will lose you a pound of week which is the healthy standard. If you try to loose weight too fast your metabolism will slow down because your body thinks it's starving and it will start to use muscle as a fuel source.
