Dear fit, I have been giving advice for a while now and I ask for yours on a simple subject. I've never done HIIT but I understand the basic concepts and would like to try it. However, my question lies on the basis of when I should do this. What I was thinking was that I'd do it in the morning around 9-10am and then lift weights at night around 8pm. Good Idea? I've heard cardio and weights in two sessions is a good idea as in it puts the body in a heightened metabolic state twice rather than once.

Pic Unrelated but is funny

HIIT will keep your metabolism going all day without the need to stimulate it with exercise again. It's better to just lift and do HIIT on alternating days, with a day off each week.

However, if you really want, you can do both in the same day. Just make sure you space them out at least six hours and eat twice or so between the two. Otherwise you'll overwork yourself.

It doesn't last all day.

Thank you for your advice kind sir. I have done twice a day workouts before except both weights. For example I'd do chest in morning and bicep, cardio at night. I am aware of the 6 hour rule for the body to recuperate some of its energy. Because I'm no longer working until college (aug 31st) I'd like to give my body that final surge to top off my cutting phase.
