Hay /fit/,

5 10 and a half, 208lbs I have been trying to get a six pack for a long time. I kind of gave up after about 2 years.

I switched to vegetarian and I drink about 2 litres of water a day.

How can I get back into excercising and what are some things that I should do, and after my body becomes used to them, what are some other excercises that I could do?

Well for one thing, eating vegetarian means absolutely nothing in terms of getting lean/losing weight, if that's what you were/are going for.

At 5'10", depending on your muscle mas, I'd say you'd have to drop to about 170ish, give or take 10 lbs, to see any noticeable six pack. Running will help a lot, or any hearty cardiovascular exercises. Obviously doing crunches, then expanding to different types, will help on the definition side.

The most important part is diet though, in showing abs, since the abdominal muscles are so small to begin with and are hidden under the adipose tissue (fat) on your midsection. If you're eating vegetarian, stay away from refined sugars, carbohydrates, etc, everything you've heard about probably for the past 5 years. Whole wheat products, no "high fructose corn syrup," eating low fat dairy (though studies have shown that dairy itself helps to reduce stomach fat). For protein, you're gonna have a tougher time getting quality. I'd just suggest whey supplements, or beans and stuff that's high in protein and fiber.

>How can I get back into excercising
Well, you start exercising again. Simple plans like walking a few miles, doing some crunches and crunch variations, and basic cardio are a good way to start back up exercising. I assume you still want your six pack is try focusing on core exercises working each part of the Abdomen(Upper, Obliques, Lower, There's two other parts but I can't remember the names.)

>what are some things that I should do
It'd be difficult to explain the exercises (I'm no good explaining exercises) So heres some good places to get you started:

diet
The abs diet is a good exercise and nurtion guide line to get you started. The book goes in-depth to what you need to know and what you need to watch out for in your day-to-day eating.

after my body becomes used to them, what are some other excercises that I could do?
Well, Upping your reps and sets is a good strategy to combat your body getting used exercises, but first you have to start them. One Pointer: THIS IS NOT AND OVERNIGHT CHANGE!!
Too many people start a program expecting results overnight, Hell I've done it to. But this is not a one-hitter quitter, you gotta be ready to do this for the long run.
