People that make PSHH BOOM BANG sound effects with their mouth when they hit the heavy bag are really starting to annoy the fuck out of me. I know you're "combat training" and all but stfu with that distracting shit... I'm trying to watch The View.

The little spiky haired guy from Human Weapon does it every fucking time he moves. Ex:

You are an idiot. If you hold your breath when doing bagwork or sparring for that matter, you get exhausted much faster.

Though i have to agree that BANG is an unnaceptable sound. Keep it to psshh.

I'm not asking you not to breathe, just quit boom boxing. However, if you did happen to decide not to breathe I wouldn't complain. :D

Breathing out suddenly while hitting the bag doesn't require you to make anymore than a short 'psh' noise. Everyone I hear makes a needlessly long and loud 'PSSSHHH' sound every fucking time they strike. If they had any sense of how to time their breathing they wouldn't allow such a large one on every strike. A noise every second or third strike is enough, anymore distracts from the actual bag work and takes even more effort.

I yell a loud "HIYYYAAA!!" and pretend to chop my friends, and they run away. :(

You have to make some sort of grunt or hiss. But a short psh or tsst will do, no need for the tough guy PHHS HUGH HIYA

you need to exhale sharply when striking to protect you being winding from counter punches. but no there is no need it to be loud of elongated. just a short blast of air through the nose

>People that make PSHH BOOM BANG

Some people do that because they copied (without knowing why) others above them. At one particular place where I saw practioners of a certain martial art train, I heard all sorts of vocal expressions; it was like I was at a zoo.

As for yells, I was taught to yell from the "gut." That is, drawing air from your stomach to give depth to your yell. It's similar to how a dog barks, I guess.
