SQUATZ Anonymous
I'm about 5'6" and 130 lbs. I can do 10 squats at 150. I feel this is really weak (i've never maxed out to check) What are some other good ways to increase the weight i can do with SQUATZ in addition to actually doing them?

Machines = the suck

what about hack squats with a bar?

Well, since I think hack squats are squats that don't go to depth, have fun with your fucked up knees.

I don't really care if I'm wrong, just do squats and be done with it.

one last question, are squats using dumbells effective?

FUCK THAT SHIT

They're closer to a front squat for effectiveness; they'll work your lower body just as much, your lower back less, and probably your arms/shoulders depending on how you hold them.

They're better than nothing, but can't beat the barbell back squat in terms of the workload it provides. You won't be using your lower back and core as much. Also unless you have weak as shit legs and powerful forearms it'll be hard to to heavy squatting due to being unable to hold a heavy enough dumbbell.

I didn't want to make a new thread, so I'll ask in this one. I don't have any weights or a gym membership. I want to do squats but are they useful without weights?

those are called deep knee bends and they're as useful as any other high-school calisthenics exercise, which is: not very.

Sandbags.

It's been a few years so I don't know how much I can do now, but when I was 5'8 125-130lbs I could squat over 200lbs

I hate short people with their lower range of motion, allowing them to lift more.

fukkin seconded. I used to go to the same kickboxing gym as this tiny little asian fuck who would brag about his numbers, specifically his squat. I never saw him actually validate any of his claims, but he was like 4'11, and probably did a little bitch half-squat.

I'm 6'7, and I made the mistake of answering "How much do you squat" honestly when asked.

I'm only 6'3, but being 6'7 would suck.

I still lift more than most bitches, anyways
