All right, so heres the deal. I just started jogging, mainly because I'm a lazy fatty at around 90 kg with lots of body fat...

no wait...First things first.
I have been mentally ill for a long time (its no EMO shit, but it makes me about as reliable as a 5 year old.. and i have a hard time getting things started, and even finish tasks). As a result, i have turned around my days to the point where i go to bed at around 3-4 at night and get up at around 3-4 in the afternoon...
But the past 2 weeks i have worked to get my night and day rhythm back, so i go up at around 9 in the morning (yea i know its not "that" early, but for a guy who has been unable to work for the past 2 years and who don't really gives a shit about anything its quite the effort) and to bed ad 12 - 12.30 at night.

I mainly did this so that ill be able to start to eat right. So going from 2-3 BIG meals a day (and most of the time, its not healthy stuff. lots of pizza and shit like that) to eating 6 small meals a day, and actually thinking of what I'm stuffing in to my mouth.

I have also started to dedicate my first hour awake to jog (do cardio, or what its called), before breakfast.

Now... my question to you fit is this. While i know it will (hopefully) give results, how much can i expect (compared to my previous lifestyle) and when will i start seeing results?

op here, had to double post.

also, what the best thing to eat to loose weight? I'm trying to stay around 1500 calories a day, is that to much or way to little? and also i have gone from a huge coca cola obsession (drank about 2-3 L a day when it was at worst) to fill my body with water. Trying to get around 3L a day, is this also ok? (so many questions hehe)

my usual day of meals is this id say:
10.00 breakfast: 0.5L water & - oatmeal
12.00 0.5L water & fruit (mostly a banana or apple, or if I'm still having energy left from my breakfast ill just keep with the water)
14.00 0.5L water & lunch/dinner (usually what on the table, but I'm gradually taking smaller and smaller meals, my goal is to eat more veggies and less of everything else).
16.00 0.5L water & fruit
18.00 0.5L water & oatmeal
20.00 0.5L water (mainly just to get as much water in me per day as possible, as I'm used to drinking coca cola or some shit like that). If i feel hungry at this hour ill just put in another fruit, but its more than often ok with just the water.

op here again.

I have gradually built this up, by first starting to get up in the morning, then starting to work on eating healthy and on time. Not eating anything after 18.00 (compared to before when i could eat in the middle of the night). And this will be my first week of jogging, doing 3.4 km a day, 6 days a week (is the plan). And i gotta tell ya, im about to collapse in a pile of my own insides when im done with that hehe... thats how out of shape i am, but ill take it ill get better at running (...O.o... hopefully).

"mentally ill"

Jog after breakfast.
Otherwise you will feel like shit.

Also, try some strength exercises. Building muscle (even if it's a little) will help you with your jogging, help you burn fat faster and give you energy. You will gain muscle mass, but it will give you noticeable results in terms of fat loss within the first few weeks.

Try to keep motivated. Think about how awesome it will be to finish something properly for the first time in your life.

ty for the tip.

I got the whole thing of jogging before breakfast from a over energic friend who is in a far better shape than i am. He said it would start burning fat allot faster. Not sure if thats true, but so far i havent had any dramatical change if i eat before i jogg. Im still completely drained of energy when im done hehe.

Yea, i forgot to mention that i got some weights and stuff that ill try to do every night, didnt think it would be of much use, but ill keep at it now, ty.

Experiment and see what works best for YOU. That's what matters. Try a fruit before you jog, then eat the rest when you get back. Also you need some protein. Get chicken breasts and learn to love them. 1 a day.

more lean meat (this includes fish), vegetables
less carbs

Some prefer to do it before so they can burn through their glycogen faster so that cardio burns fat as an energy source much faster. You have enough glycogen left over from the previous day. It provides a more intense workout because fat isnt as efficient as an energy source as carbs are.
