Weight Loss Help Anonymous
Hi, /fit/. First time poster. I'm 6 feet tall, weighed 190 pounds last time I checked, was 220 before I cut back on eating. I want to lose the remaing bel ly fat and moobs. My legs are pretty strong, at least compared to my laughable upperbody. I only have a treadmill, 5 and 10lb weights, and Dance Dance Revolution, if that helps. Any pointers on losing weight would be appreciated. Especially upperbody exercises without equipment, what running I should be doing, and if DDR actually helps. Thanks ^_^

there's a guy on /fit/ who posted in a similar thread that showed how he began his weight loss journey to get to the point of being able to run and lead an actual fitness oriented lifestyle, because there are so many people out there that are so far gone they cant just slap a pair of shoes on and go for a run.

1: fuck your little weights, forget them. fuck your treadmill, until it the weather conditions outside make it too unbearable to be out there. fuck ddr, its a video game. it isnt a good substitute for real exercise.
2: you mentioned cutting back on eating. there's a good first step. now that you don't eat so much, take the next step and start eating a healthy high protein diet.
3: buy a pair of running shoes, start going on walks. once you feel comfortable enough, pick up the pace and go for a jog. gradually increase the distances and pace.
4: gym membership. 5x5, then starting strength

huge success.

OP, I would also advise plyometrics if you don't want to buy weights. it'll help tone and reduce the chance of excess skin when you drop more weight

At first I was going to say, "Obviously you've never done a real HIIT workout." Then I realized I've never played DDR.
