What the fuck with the cheat meal idea? Why? Are you so pathetically addicted to shit food that you can't just eat purely healthy for a couple months? Fat fucks. There are people all over the world living off the same couple of grains every meal day in and day out every day of their lives, and you can't stick to your diet? It's not even like you have to eat distasteful food, there are plenty of great dishes that are solidly in line with any diet. So man the fuck up.

The entire point of the cheat meal is to restore leptin levels to what they were before you were dieting. Leptin is a hormone that helps speed up your metabolism, and the level of it in your body tends to drop after about a week of strict dieting.

21/f here, 5'8" 145 pounds.

When I was 15 I drank several sodas a day. I've never been overweight, but back then I was getting close. I was about 155 - 160 in my soda days.

I watched Supersize Me and never touched a soda again. My weight has fluctuated between 130-145 since then, but I can't seem to gain any more than that -- no matter how much I eat or how little I exercise (my diet does not contain synthetic ingredients.)

Pop's the culprit for fat. Done and done.

they key is moderation. Think of it like this. The food you eat is a virus. If one little virus comes in and tries to fuck with you, your body is like "pfft, fuck that" kicks it's ass and continues on what it was doing. If many viruses come in at one time or constantly, eventually the body cannot keep up anymore.

Another analogy would be a hurdle run. When you start off running, you gain momentum (the good foods you eat, a strict diet), eventually you hit a hurdle (a cheeseburger or a coke or something that's considered bad) and you easily clear it. However, if you choose to do many hurdles (eat shitty food at a constant rate) you can't jump them all and eventually you'll get tired and give up.

I know these are horrible analogies, but I hope my point got across.

What is normal and healthy about full on restriction of food month after month after month? Nothing. If we cannot sit back and enjoy what we have worked for, then fuck it all, it isn't worth it.

Every month or so, I have reason to celebrate. A birthday, a hard week at the office, Xmas, anniversary, etc.This more often than not, revolves around some eating, some drinking, maybe some "illegal in certain areas" substances. Fuck if I will give up living the life just to drop a few more percentages in body fat. I work out and eat very healthy MOST of the time. Works for me quite well.

A MAN is comfortable in his skin. Not beholden to a fucking internet ideal. You sound like a fucking supermodel running to the bathroom to puke up your shame every time you pinch an inch.
