/fit/, I'm a poor student that can't afford a gym membership (it's a tacky gym anyways).

I want to get in shape (read: I WANNA TONE), but have no exercise equipment available other than myself, running clothes and long stretches of road.

I go running every other day for as long as I can, which combined with my trying to eat healthy diet (again, also hard as student) I'm hoping will get me down to shape and get rid of the excess padding of fat, which makes me currently 68kg atm.

I was wondering, do you think this is feasible, and can you recommend any exercises I can do at home that don't require weights or special equipment?

Atm I only do push ups, the thing with the chair behind you were you lower yourself up and down, unweighted SQUATZ, plank, ab ripper X, and Kenpo (I'm still too scared to do Plyometrics, last time I experienced the pains of childbirth).

Any suggestions appreciated.

okey so u're a femanon...
sandbags are free... you could use them as weights, and you can easily adjust the weight.

for all excersices do a max of 20, if you can do more, do them weighted.
do them in sets of 4
always warmup your muscles before excercise, like before doing weighted pushups, do some regular ones.

that's actualy a good excercise for triceps, also your legs at that moment should also be on a chair or something, so at the start of the excercise your legs are parallel to the ground

your school doesn't have a gym for the students at all. i thought most schools had a free one for students/faculty

not free. But all universities should have some sort of weight room/gym. Usually at a large discount too.

my old school you just walked in a showed your ID at the door and then you had full access provided the facilities weren't already in use (as in track team on indoor track). i kind of thought that was the norm for all colleges

so i know you said no special exercise equipment but a pull up bar that you can screw into a doorframe is a damned nice thing to have. doesn't require any tools or install, its like a heavy duty shower curtain, and they're like 20 bucks at a sporting goods store. pull ups are the shit.

I don't know why everyone says this. I'm a student and I'm not finding it hard to eat healthily at all. Most fruit and vegetables are cheap as shit. Then again, I don't drink and students are notorious for heavy alcohol consumption.

spend less money on getting drunk with your stupid chimp friends and spend what you save on weights

only thing that costs a lot is proteins... the rest is pretty cheap...
