Tips for a splendid hair? What's the best shampoo and conditioner? Does this go in here or in /fa/?
>> Anonymous
Depends.

Getting rid of lice/dandriff? probably here.
Trying to get your hair to curl a certain way? probably /fa/

Well, since we're talking about health rather than style, I guess it could go here.
Do you have any particular problems like lice, split ends, dandruff?
Cause shampooing and conditioning regularly is the straight-forward way to keep most of your hair issues in check.

get plenty of caratin. Thats what makes hair and nails, start from the source.

For General Hair health... I would suggest a shampoo/conditioner called Yes to Carrots. Its an almost all natural brand that is made of extracts from carrot, melon, sweet potato, honey, aloe and a lot more I can't remember right now.

No, i just want to know how to best take care of my hair. Tho my problem is that it is difficult to manage. Wavy hair is a pain.

I got a sixteen dollar straightener. it works good, but you cant really brush your hair after you do it.

I'll agree there. I have hair that will go into large curls if it gets long. I wish I could keep it at a length of about 2 inches or so but I'd have to wash my hair every damn day because otherwise it gets all.. not oily but.. I guess oily, I can't even explain it, just way tougher to manage unless it's recently washed. I have really thick hair and wished there was something that made it lighter.. but then I'd get even puffier hair then I have if I don't put other products in it.

You're in my boat. Thick ass wirey hair that gets not oily but... oily after a day. I don't know what to do but the straightener.

hey /fit/..
Do you know of a good shampoo that clears up dandruff that DOESN't contain shitloads of chemicals a la Head and Shoulders?
>> Guil

Why? Head and Shoulders is what I use not because I have dandruff that's noticeable but because the other half buys that and at this point I'm just used to using it.

It also smells decent and does leave my hair feeling nice (even if for a small amount of time)

I'm just not a big fan of putting crap in my hair that may or may not fuck up my health in the long run. so sue me.

if not I might just have to start using it again. (the odor kind of got to me... it's fine after a shampoo but it's too strong)

I was just askin' why, heh.

It really shouldn't, it's not like any of it gets absorbed into your body. (Your skin wont absorb it, especially for the short time you're using it and the short amount that's left on you afterwards.)

But the alternative is Selson Blue, but I'm betting that has just as much chemicals. Good luck

My fav. is neutrogena t-gel. It works really well for my dandruff/itchy scalp.

anyone know the best shampoo for "preserving" red hair?
>> Anonymous
dandruff is supposed to be dead scalp cells.
women advise that the way you do shampooing is more important than using shampoo. use your fingers to rub your scalp, think of it as massaging your head. do this until confident all dirt/residue/crap is gone. get it where it starts.

was kind of annoying to my fingers to do thoroughly at first. got used to it soon.
