HIIT Anonymous
Can someone explain how it works? I'm currently at 235 pounds down from 255. Been going for about 3 weeks now. My goal is to be ready to join the Army National Guard by early to mid december. That means I need to lose at least 30 more pounds and 4 inches off my waist line. I hear that this HIIT business is the best way to lose that spare tire. I really need help on this one guys.

Pic related its me when I was 255

Basic routine for HIIT is Sprint 30 Secs, Brisk Walk 30 Secs x8. Thats 8 minutes of HIIT, It basically stops your muscles from being catabolic. Also your muscles won't be able to get used to the same intensity since it always changes. Always stretch and if your looking to lose that much weight try going for no-carb diet too.
>> OP
obviously the duh huhs of a no carb diet are no bread but what are some other super sneaky things I need to watch out for with carbs?

I already cut out soda and bread.
>> Anonymous
you're going to be doing ALOT of running in the army. stick to running or cardio that is akin to running. Best bet tho would be to drop a few more pounds, take off some weight, and then hit the pavement buddy.

fuck no carb diet. You're not going to have that luxury in the military. Get used to eating all foods but eating them properly.

Beans, Pasta, Potatoes, salad dressing, Crutons, ugh i'd make a list but it would be easier just searching for a diet that says what is ok and not ok. Also Milk is ok.

i hate low carb diets. its such a bullshit idea. its horrible for anyone who wants to be healthy.

its only good for vain people who are willing to give up muscle or people who actually have adverse affect to wheat and carbs.
>> OP
well right now I run in an undeveloped neighborhood close to mine where the eyes of pretty people cant be grossed out by my fattyness flopping about. I have a one mile route set out that I try to do as fast as I can and a 1 and a half mile route that I just try to stay at a constant pace to build up endurance. Right now the mile time is about 11 minutes but the 1 mile track is a big ass hill. Should I continue running these at and increasing distance as I am able to or should I switch to HIIT?

>>410782

Well OP should only be doing it for 2-3 months. Anyone who does it longer then that is a complete dumb fuck. and i'm doing it yet im not losing any muscle, CAUSE I EAT PROTEIN PROTEIN AND LIFT LIFT.

Your Mile is 11 minutes? I need to be working more on your endurance and speed, buddy. Last time I checked, you have to pass the PFT with a mile and half run in ~9 minutes.
>> OP
Its 2 miles in 15:52 and yea I know I need to work on the time but getting the weight off is first priority

you're dumb ass hell for wanting to join the national guard right now. You'd be better off signing a 4 year contract and join full fledged. Your ass is headed to the middle east either way and you'll get more out of it if your fully enlisted.
>> OP
its not about getting the most out of it for me. I'm one of those brainwashed faggots that thinks joining the military is a great service to our country and an honor. I know. I must be fucking nuts.

Yeah, getting sent to a shit sand ridden country waiting to be blown up by some fucked up insane lunatic and then getting treated like shit when you get back home is a true fucking service to your country. ex marine corps here.

do yourself a favor and become a doctor or some shit. you'll probably do more good to your country that way, fatty.

So, would it be better to do HIIT x24 three or four times a week or HIIT x8 everyday? Does it make a difference how long you do it?

I'm not OP.

Because murder when you support it is better than murder when the government supports it, and of course every commanding officer deserves to be murdered. Yeah.....

Why the fuck would you want to do HIIT if you want to get better at running long distances?

hey, i'm a pfc with the 1st infantry division at ft riley ks. During basic we worked out for an hour to an hour and a half in the morning before we ate anything at all. What this does is it enables your body to jumpstart your metabolism by utilizing the fat and carbohydrates you already have in you from the previous day's intake. Exercising in the morning before eating or doing anything else will give you much more efficient results. Also you should alternate your training days from strength (pushups situps and other core conditioning) to cardio (running, iron mikes, squats, sprinting) and dont forget to drink a lot of water the previous night, at least two quarts. During training, I can't tell you how many privates fell out because of dehydration.

no they do that because a lot of people throw up exercising right after eating.

When you wake up then exercise before eating you're decreasing your muscle mass as much as fat.

no, 90% of the Gi's in fay/ft Bragg are complete dicks. They either beat their wife/gf , drive drunk on a weekly to daily basis , shoot random fucking people and get away with it and just walk around after sitting behind a desk all day with a smug ass attitude.

fixed. for you. Random, punctuations. Are bad.

How the fuck did he do that?
>> Anonymous
>>412176

I'm guessing it has something to do with proper diet and exercise, but I might be wrong.

once again, the healthy rate of losing weight is 2 lbs per weak...
lets do the math on your kid
100 lbs per 2.5 months - 16lbs per week which is 7.2kgs which is 7200 kgs.
on gram of fat contains 9 kcal so he must have burned 64800 kcal a week which is 9250 kcal a day, so to lose all that weight he mustve been running 10 hours a day without eating anything at all for this 2.5 months...
so excuse me sir, but i think you are full of shit

He might have been run-over by a train and lost both his legs.

Also, burn victims will burn a fuckton of extra calories (8kcal or so for massive-coverage burns) while idle, just because of how much tissue needs to be regenerated.
