Hey /fit/ fags,

I'm two months into my workout regiment ( 4 nights a week - 1st night chest/bis, 2nd night - abs/back 3rd night - tris/shoulders 4th night - all legs) and I think I'm doing fairly well. I started at 5'11 153lbs and I'm up to 166lbs currently. The weight was hard to put on at first, but now it seems to be coming much easier/faster.

My current plan is to aim for 175-ish, but also work in more cardio into my weekly regiment (maybe 30 minutes twice a week) to start doing some cutting around my abs. I'm also starting to work in more "V shaping" exercises into my routine.

Current Supplments:
- 100% ON Whey (stuff is uber good, especially mixed in with a Carnation Instant Breakfast and some whole milk)
- SizeOn Creatine

My question to you guys:

1.) Is 13lbs in two months TOO much weight to put on and I should slow it down? I'm not trying to be a fatty/muscle head here. I just don't want to be a stick.

2.) Is adding cardio going to completely fuck over my current goal? I still want to gain muscle, I just want to lose what little body fat I have.

yea. If you're lucky, 2-4 pounds of that gain is lean muscle. The rest is water, glycogen, and fat.

if you are a new 13lbs in 2 months is totally doable if you are eating enough, a reasonable amount of lean body mass gained per week is about 1lb, so 2 months - 8lbs

this is totally variable but you WILL gain some fat when you bulk, dont worry.

LOSING WEIGHT IS EASY
GAINING MUSCLE IS HARD

Obviously I don't expect all 13 lbs I've gained to be 100% lean muscle. I've cut out all soda from my diet and I try to eat healthy(although weekends kick my ass). Most my diet is based around protein (chicken, tuna, the occasional steak). But I am adding the cardio to help burn any extra fat.

I've always heard "you can't carve a pebble" so I'm not insanely worried about a little fat gain.

Well if he just started alot of muscle is being rapidly developed since it probably was seeing intense use before.

QFT, I lost 50 lbs about 3 years over about 6 or 7 months and it was relatively easy, just eat healthy and exercise every now and then. Now I'm trying to put on 20 lbs of muscle and it's a bitch. Super hard work outs 3 times a week, and eating till near puking most of the day.
