Hey /fit/, I've got a problem.I've been lifting now for about 2 years, and I've made good progress. Recently, though, I've been getting some serious pain in my forearms, specifically when doing curl-type exercises. It's a sharp pain that starts about mid-forearm, on the side of the arm that is on the bottom of you hold your arm out giving a "thumbs-up".I can't do my regular arms routine, because it starts hurting like hell during the first exercise. Some times if I aggravate it really bad, it'll hurt after the workout, and then in subsequent workouts where I'm doing any kind of pulling.I went to the doctor and he suggested that it might be some sort of neuropathy after he ruled out carpal tunnel and tendinitis and referred me to a specialist (though the appointment is in three fucking months).I might also mention that I'm typing all day (the Doc harped on this for a while), at work and at home.Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, found any work-arounds? My routine is really suffering.Thanks.
Less fap.
Do you stretch?
have you tried resting for a week or 2
Yeah, I stretch thoroughly. In fact, when this injury is triggered, no stretch makes it feel any better, nor can I really stretch to get the same feeling.I've taken a month off before and it came back right away.
dont stretch
i think your arm needs amputated
I have a similar problem. At first I thought it was improper form (curling a barbell over preacher curl) but I tried changing it up a bunch of ways and it still hurt.Luckily for me it's more of an aching pain that comes in after I finish my set and wanes off after half a minute. No solution here either tho.
