a good way to fuck your shoulders?

How much weight are we talking about?

Bullshit. We do that about 2 times a week in my muay thai gym. Make sure you have your form before doing that, and for fucks sakes don't use heavier than 2 kg dumbells, it's not effective and you will only hurt yourself.

AND YOU AREN'T PUNCHING FASTER AS SOON AS YOU LET GO OF THE DUMBELLS, IT'S AN ILLUSION.

Then it's no big deal as far as possible injuries are concerned. I don't really care for it personally though.

its a myth that it makes you punch faster. Really provides no application whatsoever. If you want to punch faster, then keep practiciing technique and speed. Thinking that dumbells will make you punch faster is like thinking a 100 pound back pack will make you run faster. All it does is fuck up the alignment of your joints.

May be a little useful for punching, but you're just training your shoulders to hold up the weight. Youre only working against gravity. Using a large rubberband as resistance while punching would probably be more useful.

do it when your shoulders are tired.

Shadow-boxing underwater beats all.

that's real resistence right there. that actually makes every part of your body work against a resistence, not just a downward push on your shoulders and fists.
