Bodyweight exercise program? Anonymous
Sup /fit/. I'm looking to lose about 150 lbs, and I was wondering what was the consensus on a purely bodyweight exercise regimen. No dumbells, no barbells, no kettlebells, not even pullups (since I can't do those), final destination. I want to lose fat of course, but I also want to retain as much muscle as possible. If you have any resources or links to an appropriate bodyweight regimen, that would be awesome.

Eventually I want to start doing sandbags as well. Your thoughts on this?

Thanks!

if you need to lose 150lb, you should not be starting with bodyweight.

if you can do about 20-25 pushups in a row, 5 pull ups, and maybe 50 squats, then you can start a bodyweight regimen. if you can't do that you're going to waste time spinning wheels. use lower weights to get your fat ass started. you can do this with 50-100lb sandbags or some dumbbells, i don't give a shit. if you want me to lay out an easy regimen for you, reply asking nicely. also, run. i recommend couch to 5k running plan for fatties like you, it worked for me when i was 80lb overweight
