ORAL YEAST INFECTION Anonymous
im asking people who have had yeast infections before..

for the past 5 days i have had a yeast infection, and its been a really busy week, so ive had no time to get a doctors appointment. i was concerned about waiting, unintentionally, because i read that the yeast can enter the bloodstream and affect your other organs. My infection seemed to be moderate, and i have chrones disease, so my immune system sometimes is a bit off, not often, but enough to make me say "why the hell am i sick again" :P and i am a male btw... so my question is..... Has anyone ever gotten over a yeast infection with out treatment?

other facts about me.. i am vegan, so my health is top notch. and i take cod fish oil.

I am also a vegan, and I am also fighting off a yeast infection on my skin.

I'm going about it au natural and not taking treatment.

being a vegan does somewhat impact the chances of getting a yeast infection, because the live cultures in foods like yogurt help fight off the infection. (yet those same cultures can be found in soy yogurt, tastes like shit though).

I'm not sure how chrones disease could factor in, but seeing as you don't eat dairy I would suggest letting your body fight it off. Creams and pills will work, but if the medicine fails to get rid of the infection entirely you'll just be left with a stronger infection than you had before, and once you get rid of that one another one might follow.

so, yes it will be annoying, but I'm looking forward to knowing that my body can take care of itself.

wow really. well so far since i have had no treatment, ive taken myself off wheat, gluten, and take it super easy on the suger. apparently the infection feeds off of these things. like right now im eating black beans and corn tortillas, with some corn meal/bread. >_>...and i pie crust that someone didnt want. lol thats all i can really do for myself. anyway, have you tried rubbing raw garlic on the infected area on your skin?

yes its very possible. because of the fact that everyone has the bacteria "Candida albicans" in their bodies, and by not eating right, too much sugar, not enough of certain vitamins, wheat? not sure about that last one lol. anyone can develope an infection. yes its mstly in woman, but men get it in their mouths, and in very rare occasions on their testicles.

so yes it is spreadable, but its not something that HAS to be given, to men. i honeslty dont know why i developed one but, i do, like i said have a weaker immune system, so its easier for things like this to form. also this is a health and fitness area aka /fit/. for serious discussion, could you try to not be so vulgar. you can go to /b/ or /h/ for that.
