/fit/, I'm sure there's at least three topics like this on your front page, but I've made the pilgrimage over here for much the same reason I'm sure many do.

I'm a fat guy, around 260lbs. Whilst I know nothing in this world comes easily, is there at least a sort of 'normal person' diet I can get on to? I've never been good at sticking to any diet that requires me to eat to a strict regime. I managed to lose about 30lbs at Weight Watchers, but there isn't one where I now live.

Any kind of basic diet plan/exercise regime for my situation?

Again, I'm really sorry for what I'm sure is your thousandth thread like this today, but I've heard good things about the good people of /fit/, and I feel like now that I'm at uni, I should actually stand up and take responsibility for the shit state my body's in.

7 is a wonderful time of the day to wake up since it makes eating 5 meals a day so easy. Take advantage of your good structure and start eating breakfasts. Raw oats with skimmed milk and a THIN layer of sugar or some berries is easy as fuck to make. Even heating it doesn't take long and can be done with a microwave.

Bring a sack lunch to your school. It might be embarrassing but a lot healthier.

true. eat a little every 3-4 hours. but make sure you hit the 2500 calorie mark. after you've lost the target weight, decrease your calorie intake to 2000.

IMPORTANT: don't jump to 2000 calorie straight away. your body will think you're not able to gather enough food, so it'll slow down metabolism so that it can conserve fat.

Thanks, guys. I've always heard that "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" stuff, but I never thought it was THAT important... Suppose I'd better start eating it now.

It does all sound rather simple, and I agree that the willpower will probably be the most difficult thing, but let's be honest, it can't go on like this, can it? I'll be dead by the time I'm 30.

As of last year, i weighed about 320, Im down to 240 now, All i did was stop drinking pop, no candy, eat right, I still have pizza once or twice a week, and i walk for 30 minutes every day, along with only drinking water, Its worked wonders for me, my goal is 210. Good luck

Besides which, more muscle alone will not make you lose weight, especially if you're eating above your caloric expenditure.

What is the best way to combine HIIT and StrongLifts 5x5? Should you do StrongLifts M/W/F and HIIT T/Th/Sa, do them both on the same day three times a week or do HIIT every day and add StrongLifts M/W/F?
