Alright /fit/ I'm looking to start getting in shape.I am 17 years old, 5'9'', and weight about 180 pounds. I have everything I would need to get in shape and have already started working out (started about 2 months ago). While working out I go high rep, low weight, really just trying to get in shape and not going for bulging muscle.One of my problems is that I'm not sure how much I need to run, I've been thinking about starting to jog 3 days a week. I'll do this on a treadmill. How far should I begin jogging? I've never really been a fan of running but I am willing to do what is necessary. I'm not looking to drop a lot of weight really quick either, I've got time.Picture not related.
You need to run 4 miles a day, 5 days a week. Not fast though. 9 - 10 minute miles are enough.And that picture is related, it explains how you got to be 180 lbs when you are only 5'9".
