How precise are you guys when you measure your food (If you measure it at all)?

Im wondering if I should buy a food scale for the odd items (meats, potatoes, veggies, etc).

I don't measure my food at all unless its required for a recipe...

I wouldn't get too anal with it either, just use your noggin and a bit of common sense.

I weigh my food by balancing it against a quantity of cesium atoms.

I'm a perfectionist though.

I just sort of eyeball it, say the stir fry I made today require a pound of chicken I had a 2 pound pack with 2 chicken breasts so I took one cut off all the fat and I had just under a pound of chicken.

No reason to be too overly conscious about it.

Of course when I say "weigh", I mean "determine the mass of".

Used to be very precise, now I use portions instead, works great.
