Same positioning. I use the university gym with preset dumbbells though. None the less, my shorts look like they've gone through a woodchipper from being scraped by deadlifts.
Sometimes I go from deadlifts to shoulder shrugs, bringing the barbells more to my sides than straight in front of me. It's great, but it a) kills my forearms, and b) I can deadlift a lot more than I can shrug, so it's a trade-off.
