No, it's just that you have terrible tastes in "anime".

it was awesome that they made ippo into a powerhouse with the dempsey roll.

aw, sorry if i don't like shitty "anime" like naruto or bleach.

baki the grappler is fuckwin. only got to watch all of the tournament series, and 1 episode of the original (though, baki trying to take on like 100 guys is always awesome)
>> Anonymous
they change a bit from season 1 to 2.

the tournament is more about raw fighting, and the first season is more about character development.

oh and the tournament is also in the second half of season 1.

I love how he says that he ONLY beat 30 of 100 guys lol

So what I'm learning from /fit/ is that episodic anime about plots and storylines, weird as they may be, are shitty.

Anime about fighting is awesome.

Okay then.

anime with almost 1000 episodes with more fillers than anything, not to mention the kiddy theme and repetitive fights and also the whole exagerated fiction powers drama(ok, i admit that stopping an earthquake with one punch is overboard lol) is inferior to fighting anime WITH plot and storyline.

action oriented anime should be what it is, sorry to say but anime like naruto and bleach are full of fillers.

FUCK YEAH FUCKIN PUNCH HIS BALLS OFF

Sounds most, of everything shown here, like anything in the Dragonball series. No fight should span MULTIPLE EPISODES, especially when by "fight" they mean "yell at each other".
Frankly, I think both of those are just flat out shit, but it seemed a little peculiar that anime about a fighting tournament would be, you know, -better- than something else.

You're a fucking retard who doesn't realise that an animated adaptation OF AN ONGOING MANGA would eventually fucking catch up to the manga without filler.

ANIMATORS' HANDS AREN'T FAST ENOUGH TO HANDLE THAT, YOU THICK FUCK.

who mentioned dragon ball z?
not me

I aproved hajime no ippo and grappler baki. and even though i do like dragon ball and dragon ball z to some extent, I wouldn't be able to get inspiration to workout with it.

how many guys here get pumped up by watching MMA?

its the same shit with Baki, only anime style.

on season 2 there's little story, but if you watch season 1 you'll get to know the main characters and their relationships.

hajime no ippo aproaches some technical stuff and that's good as it makes you actually get interested about boxing.

it's pointless to argue this here, its way off topic.

what anime gets you pumped? if there's any.

kenichi has a good character development and good comedy, I didn't relaly like the ending though.
