Worth it if you're going for a gym that focuses on more of a western boxing with legs for support style of fighting.

The Savate stuff is too much leg to be of practical use outside of competition really.

My gym focused very heavily of full contact fighting, focusing largely on handwork and using the legs as an auxiliary power element.

You'd do most of the fighting like a boxer, then snap in a roundhouse to the stomach (or head) every once in a while.

But we also mixed up and did boxing days aswell.

I got lucky I suppose. the other kickboxing gym a few towns over is a fucking joke. They basically learn nothing but point fighting techniques and grade with nothing but katas.
