hey /fit/
when I bench press I don't feel anything in my chest only in my arms whats the deal?
>> Anonymous
Your chest is stronger than your arms already.

that sucks i guess?

work those arms you crazy gangster

Keep working it until your arms get stronger. As you increase the weight your arms will gain strength and eventually your chest will start to have to work as hard as your arms to keep up.

WOWOWOWOW KILL YOURSELF
If you're only feeling your arms and not your chest that means your arms are STRONGER than your chest already.Because your chest is weak, you're using your tri's and delts to move the load and your chest is not getting much stimulation, thus you don't feel anything in it
working your arms more will only make the imbalance worse

I have this problem too... same thing when I do rows... I feel it in my arms a lot even if I try to focus on form.

Another problem I have is that when I try to bench something that causes muscle failure after only 5 or 6 reps, sometimes it starts to hurt my wrist pretty badly and I can't finish all my sets. I'm guessing this is because of bad form or grip, but it sucks.

I am right now what you used to be (6'4" 265lbs). Been working out for a month, and a pretty strict diet (1500 cals a day, weekends with the family get me). I see results but I am not losing weight and I'm not getting any stronger it seems. I can still only curl 40 lbs. What am I doing wrong.

there's your problem

Curls, that's what. Go do some pull-ups. You'll see way more bicep development doing those than you will pansy curls. When you can do 20 straight pull-ups... add a crapton of weight to a weight belt and start doing sets of 3 reps and stuff.

Way more useful than isolating the bicep with curls.

k, thanks.

You're not getting any stronger because you're not getting enough calories. Your body has no fuel to get stronger.
