Alright, so, let's say that you have a diet that consists of virtually no dairy, and no meat. The main diet consists of whole wheat bread, lots of water, citrus fruits, soy milk and whole grain cereal.

Now, imagine you're on an Easter break and, in laziness, have skipped taking a shower two days in a row. You've flossed and brushed your teeth, but you haven't had a real need to do anything besides stay inside and enjoy the time off. You're waking up on the third day and smell yourself, and the smell reaches your memory- a dentist's office. Where one would normally smell funk or B.O., you smell like the room you get your teeth cleaned in.

Can this be explained?

Does it have a fruity/paint thinner smell? If so, it could be ketoacidosis. Excessive burning of fat caused by lack of available glucose produces an abnormally high amount of ketones, which reduces the pH level of your blood, making it more acidic.

Though it only occurs in diabetics and people who drink alcohol in extreme excess.

I do neither of those and can't imagine how eating sliced bread could make me low on glucose.

But another time it smelled kind of like maple syrup.

maybe your healthy diet is preventing the bacteria in your pits from flourishing?

also, gj on no dairy. But soy? Sounds like you care about your health...do some research on soy. Its the #1 genetically modified food.

I only do enough for cereal, but protein enzyme inhibitors sound pretty bad. I'll keep it in mind, thanks.
