/fit/, I hate acne. Ever since I was a kid I have feared it. I'm trying to get rid of it using ice to freeze the germs dead. Does anyone have any other easy homemade ways to cure acne without having to go out and buy anything?

Eat healthily, try and get plenty of Zinc in your diet (its used in the production of white blood cells in the body so helps prevent infection), get sun on you every day and drink plenty of water...

When you shave use something to treat/wash your skin after you're finished.

Okay. Thank you. I'll try that.

But what I'm looking for in particular are things to rub on my face. Is there any sauce I would rub on my face, for example.

Your diet. Change it.

I use to have unpleasant acne, and skin that was a combination of oily and dry. I cut out meat and dairy and processed foods, I exfoliate with a rough rag in the shower and put a light moisturizer on my face afterwards (Avalon Organics is really light and not greasy).

My friend has acne caused by her hormones and it still significantly reduced the appearance of her acne.

What if my face feels unusually itchy and greasy? Should I moisturize my face, then?

Apple cider vinegar on your face (be careful and use a little bit it can really sting) or oatmeal might help.

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

rubbing alcohol for the grease, benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria. exfoliate like crazy. I've also tried the honey remedy before with decent results. put a dab of honey on you zit and cover it with a band aid. let it heal over night. the honey kills the bacteria and reduces swelling and skin irritation. I've also heard of using toothpaste. it has to be real toothpaste, not that gel crap. But this only works if the active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide.

The only thing that's really worked for me is lots of time.

Metronidazole is the best topical I've ever used, so next time you visit the doctor you could ask about it. It might not have the same effects on you though, since my acne's just caused by extremely sensitive skin.

I've had to stop exercising entirely because each time I 'll get at least five new cysts.
