if your shakes are whey, then right before bed might not be such a good idea. Whey is absorbed extremely quickly, and are therefore more ideal for prepost workout or in the morning when your body is starved for protein. In the evening some more slow digested stuff like protein from meant, dairy or anything like that would be far better.
Me personally, I don't take it every day, normally only after the hardest workouts and before depending on what else I have eaten.
