Question /fit/

Lets say I squat 200lbs and I weigh 200lbs. Of my 200lbs of body weight, I have 50lbs of body fat. If I were to lose 25lbs of that body fat, would I be able to squat 225lbs? Or does it not work that way?

Not quite, since your body-fat reduction will come from everywhere, and lower body weight doesn't really affect squat-weight. It will help moderately though. It is more noticable with dynamic exercises like frog-hops. God how I hate frog-hops.

like he said. It will help, but its not a 1:1 correlation because the weightloss is distributed. For exxample if you lost 50lbs in your ankles/shins it wouldn't help at all because you don't move your lower legs in a squat. If you lost 50lbs from your shoulders it would.

Exactly where you lose weight from is genetic.
