I love squats. I don't know what happens but, when i'm in the bottom motion of the squat. I mean, when my hips are below my knees, i feel a pressure, a slightly painful compression where my left quadriceps connects at the hip, in front.
This is wrong. Am i going too deep? Am i leaning too far in front? Anyone with similar expereences?

bodyweight or weighted?

it's most likely that you are slightly off in your form... i'd need a pic of you at the bottom of a squat to be more specific

Weighted. It didn't happen until recently as i'm approaching bodyweight.
I can't take a pic now but how about an home-made video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccQTRVwnFq4

you're allowing your legs to spread a little too much at the bottom... try pointing your toes slightly more forward... if your toes are already forward: STOP PRONATING (it fucks you up hard)

also, you're arching your back, try to keep it straight

What's your fuckin deal, dude? I didn't say Rip was a god, I said he had a forum over on strengthmill where he critiques people's form. How is that turning /fit/ into a cult?

Ah no prob. I won't spam Rippetoe stuff but might as well use a resource if you got it. Also sage since I'm not adding anything meaningful.
