hey /fit/

I'm a 20 year old female that wants to lose some weight. i would work out but i am always busy with school during the day and i work at night. I'm just worried about losing my "love rolls" that i have on my stomach, the bad thing is that i kinda have back problems when i try to do sit ups or crunches.

any advice on how i can get rid of my jelly rolls?

fat loss doesn't work the way you think it does.

Yes. You also have a weak lower back. You should do back extensions, deadlifts, or goodmornings. And also give me your phone number, your love rolls sound HAWT!

You will not lose fat by doing area-specific workouts, such as ab workouts to reduce belly fat.

My advice is to reduce your diet to 5 meals a day, ~300 calories or so per meal.

5 small meals will get your metabolism working faster, and the diet will only amount to 1500 calories per day - enough for you to maintain a decent exercise schedule (nothing too heavy) and still burn body fat - thus turning it to muscle - and replacing/removing those rolls of fat you dislike.

My advice:

Join a gym, or use your school's gym.

Start a basic workout schedule (easy to research via google.com).

Jog, run, bike, or walk for 20-30 minutes a day, 3-5 days a week.

Start slow and amp up your workout over time; only make adjustments in weekly or monthly intervals.

If you do not have time for the gym, simply do the last couple of steps/ideas I suggested.

The diet/exercise combined are a must. You can't remove those 'jelly rolls' by specifically targeting them - you have to burn fat from your entire body, and, being large stores of fat, they will eventually be gone.

well you can get rid of your rolls with just diet alone but it'll take longer and you'll have to pay relatively close attention to your calorie intake
