If you starve yourself your body will go "OMFG I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FOOD. MUST CONSERVE CALORIES." and your metabolism will plummet. Then when you start eating again it will take a while to get it back to normal. You will gain weight because of that. Get yourself to eat 2000 calories a day. Actually you should calculate your BMR and then calculate for activity during the day, then subtract 500 calories from that.
