How can I speed up my metabolism, /fit/?
>> Anonymous
eat small meals constantly, drink lots of water.

Add hot sauce and cayenne to your diet, if you want to buy into that mumbo.

Eating constantly to get thin sounds awfully Atkins-esque...

thats how it works

if you eat more times a day not more food a day, eat the same food you eat daily but eat it around 6 times in a day, your body will be constantly digesting, thus somethingsomething, thus +metabolism

>thus somethingsomething

Read: Thus you will have constant blood sugar levels and a constant insulin release along with a consistent rate of caloric activity from the thyroid.

Take meth, that boosts metabolism and makes you less hungry.

Atkins is eating mainly fat calories to get thin and keep glucose metabolism steady. You don't have to eat all the time on Atkins. People just assume anyone who tries it is a nasty, dirty glutton.

Exercise. The extra energy required turns up your food burning furnace (metabolism) shit loads. This encourages more fat burning, just by having increased muscle mass on your body.

forget these people

google up DNP, it'll boost your metabolism by up to 50% over normal within a day and keep it that way making you shed pounds in record time

Do these two. Have a structured meal plan. Eat small meals 5-6 times a day, about every three hours, going from largest in the morning to smallest in the evening (# of calories). Try to eat about 2000 calories a day. Eat your last meal of the day NO LESS than three hours before you go to sleep.

dont decrease or increase your overall food consumtion for the day, just increase the number of meals and decrease the size of that meal

its true and it works.. i was eating 5-6 meals a day.. i lost 60 lbs in around 3 months (one semester at school), between the main meals i'd have something like an apple and some whey.. the other meals were something like tuna on wheat bread (no mayo), brown rice, whatever random mixed vegetables they had that day a salad and a glass of 1% milk.. on top of that a gallon of water a day, not counting anything else i drank with meals (water)

food doesn't have to be some special experience every time you have it, its just energy to get you through the day. that said, its fine to treat yourself (limit it to once a week), don't feel like you lost the staying healthy game cause you ate 1 shitty meal out of 40+ in a week.

i should prolly also add i was spending an hour a day in the gym lifting, and then later another hour doing cardio.. lifting 5 days a week running 6 days a week.
