Hello, /fit/I have an incredibly skinny friend. 6'1" and he's very skinny... his calves are as skinny as my wrists, I would say. Pretty much pure ectomorph.I told him to eat 6000 calories a day since I know from watching him eat that he does not gain any weight from eating at all.I also explained to him that he should try Rippetoe's as a start because it'll help him gain mass quickly (it worked for me, I got to lift much more and gained close to 20 pounds of muscle). He did this for a while.Then, he told me on MSN that he spoke to someone from university "who was much more educated on this than me" and was "quite a bit bigger than me". My friend said that the university guy told him "to go to the gym 5 times a week or more because of the high metabolism" and to "include isolation exercises with the compound ones".I laughed and we went to the gym.I was squatting and he comes up and says hi.I say "hi" and I turn around and handed him a 40 pound EZ-curl bar and said "use this" and continued squatting.Honestly, stupid people like that... I don't let them get to me and I just let people who exercise do it their own way and then they come to me about not getting results... Ugh...
