Bicep curls Anonymous
Dear /fit/ In just two weeks I went from 15lbs to 50 on each arm for bicep curls no steroids or anything. Is this normal. I don't want to be like this guy help!!
>> Anonymous
I wouldn't say it's totally normal, but not abnormal either. You're just doing the right stuff I guess. That guy took site injections and roids, no worries.

How many clean reps can you do with the 15's and how many clean reps can you do with the 50?
>> Anonymous
Op here
I can do about 15 and 4 sets with 50 though that strains it I mostly do 12 with 4 sets

There's no way to look like that freak with steroids only. Don't worry.

Stop swinging your arms like a pussy.
Don't swing your hips, or spring off your knees for momentum.
If your elbows move back you're doing it wrong.
If you don't go all the way down, or all the way up that shit doesn't count.
Are you doing hammer curls?
last thought: Fuck curls take your sorry ass to the squat rack, and start squatting.

OP never said he did any of that shit. Go flame elsewhere.

OP obviously does, and there were no flames.

>>32991You obviously need to hit the gym, because you have no idea what you are talking about.

Yeah, you're more than likely using bad form.

SQUATS!!!!! agreed
>> Jd

>you are probably using improper form and thus overestimating your strength and ability.

ok educate me here.
He does curls to define and strengthen his arms right?
Squats are compound exercises and work the hole body but primarily help develop the quadriceps, hamstring and calves... right?

Why tell him to do squats (legs) when he wants to do arms?

Because Squats are the new Circuit Training for gym trend whores. They're important, but not the end-all and be-all of weight training.

To the OP: Put your back against a wall. Use a straight bar, not dumbbells or a "curl bar". Curl slowly; four seconds up and four seconds down. Be surprised at how little you can honestly lift.

Because people look stupid when their biceps are bigger than their quads.
Your body is whole, so why not work out the whole thing?

I don't think he really cares what guys think of him. Hes doing it for the women and to look in the mirror.
Seems stupid he wants to work arms and hes being told to do mostly legs.

squats and deadlifts and probably the most important and natural workouts you can do. what is more natural than lifting shit up and picking shit up.

Smart women don't like it when guys are uneven as well though.

Also I've heard that working more muscles including legs creates more hormones (and other shit) which help all your muscles grow as well

but I forget where I read that, although I know I've seen it here too

OP, do you use a "Preacher Bench"?
>> Beaver !D8rQiV7xz.
>>33331

Trainers have told me this as well, Your legs are the biggest muscles in your body. If you work them out, your body will definitely produce what it needs to make muscle. This means easier gains when it comes to getting arms.

Biceps can be built doing compound lifts as well. Cur;s are unimportant if you follow a decent workout regime.

i mentioned it earlier in>>32982when some moron was saying i was spreading misinformation when i told the OP that working on their legs will only help their upper body gains.
