>>wake up, drink water, run

>>do not eat anything

>>the water is to hydrate yourself before the run

>>you shouldn't eat anything because when you exrcise, your body goes to burn glycogen first for energy

>>when you wake up you don't really have any in your body from the previous day (having used it all up already)

>>if you eat, you're going to have glycogen to burn

>>if you don't have glycogen in yoru body, your body goes to burn fat stores

>>so if you run before eating breakfast, you'll start burning directly from your fat stores, more or less

You might want to up the cardio to 30-45 minutes, and avoid eating junk, but yeah, that's a way to give your metabolism a kickstart.

All I know is that I feel like shit every time I try to do that.

Thats why all military makes you wake up, run, then eat.

I did the same in A-ROTC.

have a protein shake 0 - 30 minutes pre workout. Otherwise you're antagonizing catabolism. Turth

works imo, will waste alot of muscle but also burn alot of fat,

Do it if you want to look good , not if you want to be fit.

I used to do it but have a protein shake 15 mins before so i was less catabolic during the run

How would forcing your body to draw from its energy stores hinder catabolism? That's backwards logic, unless you meant metabolism. Sure, it can cause you to have extremely low blood sugar to the point of passing out, but your liver is designed to go full force all the time. It's like a fucking beast-factory ready to unload its wares.
