Help me /fit/!

I need help getting to sleep!
I've got almost complete insomnia. I can try going to sleep but it doesn't work and then when I do get really tired I sleep for about 2-4 hours then I wake up again. What's the deal? What are some tips to help get to sleep?
Also, I'm ridiculously paranoid so complete darkness freaks me out when I heard sounds.
What should I do?

I've had the same thing a year ago, it ended when I started working out.

Truth. Exercise really aids sleeping

Truth, if you're tired from a hard workout your body will be more inclined to rest more and for longer.

I'm getting a gym member ship, but are there any other tips? What if I don't go to the gym on a certain day? It'll just screw me up imo

try some Melatonin for help with sleep. its pretty cheap

click where to buy and you can see if somewhere close to you is a reseller of this brand, other wise buy some online.

I use this exact one and it helps. I dont use it every day just every once in a while to help get on track if i had a few sleepless nights.

also try listening to some self-help audio books on some headphones when going to sleep. they will keep your mind occupied and hopefully avoid the paranoia, plus the voice of the person usually is a little relaxing after a while.

I make sure to get a good workout each day, and then I go out in nature for a while, then I listen to traditional Irish music to get myself to fall asleep at night. WORKS WONDERS.
