Your height and weight doesn't really tell you anything about your health. Many health professionals use them as measures though because they're easy to determine, and there are used long used correlations that are reasonably accurate for those who are around average height and weight.

Obesity isn't, however, determined by your height and weight. A body builder's body mass index (BMI) would mostly tell him that he is obese, but he isn't. Whether your obese or not has to do with your body fat percentage.

There is such a thing as a skinny fat person. They don't weigh much, and they don't look large, but they might be obese.
