My only advice is to work yourself into the jogging - a lot of people start to jog hardcore, but then a week later fuck up their ankles and have to lay off for two weeks. By that time they've lost their dedication and are farther behind then where they were.
Also, don't just swear off bread. Pizza, burgers, greasy food and especially soda - that shit can go. You need the carbs, buddy. Either that or you're going to fuck your body up, end up in the hospital and then cry yourself to sleep every night.
