Body Types Anonymous
Ok /fit/, I have been thinking about this for quite some time.

What is your goal body type and why?

If your Ideal body type isn't approximated, post your own progressively numbered picture!
>> Anonymous
For me, It's number 2.

I want a body that is functional, and doesn't sacrifice speed for the sake of power. I want a massive all-around power:weight ratio, and to be able to push my body to human acrobatic limits.
>> Anonymous
somewhere between 4 and 5. i want to be strong and big, but fast as hell.

right now im gaining weight and building my base up. a bigger muscle has more potential to be stronger.

so im making my mountain of clay right now, then ill chisel it out.

it's also a myth that muscle slows you down. theres plenty of 275lb football players who are agile and fast as fuck

a little less than 3 for me

3

3

Really skinny, and that would be the best I could get. At 2 right now.
>> Anonymous
3 would be perfect for me. Not insane but still looks good in an everyday setting.
>> Wheat Thin !wqeQ6aYGs.
2
>> Molon Labe !OWRNsS8xeo
>>136857

Agreed. A fuzz smaller than three.

Of course, with my body type, I could never get as big as three anyway, so I'm right on track.
>> Anonymous
3 is the sexiest.
>> Otaku08
I'd like a #3 to go please? Oh my bad I actually have to work to look that good? NVM I'll just be a fat lazy bastard then...
>> Margaret
Well, if I could have a guy's body, it would be 3 for me. Brock Lesnar is NOT a body type though. You fail.
>> Anonymous
>>136868
bullshit, anybody can get over 200lbs ripper naturally, you just gotta work hard for it
>> Anonymous
3. No question. Everyone else looks like a fucking freak.

Goal would be 2

Preference would be 4

being huge would be awesome

being YEAAAAAAAAH BUDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY LITEWAIT just doesn't seem really feasible to me, but then again I've never weighed 140 even

I'm 5'11, 210 pounds. I'm not too far from a 5 at the current moment.

Any tips on how to go from 5 to 3?
>> Anonymous
guys #3 looks like a prettyboy bitch

at least #4 looks strong
>> Anonymous
I was in the gym the other day repping 335 on deadlifts, when this dude came up to me and told me to be quiet because the sound of the plate hitting the floor hurt his ears.

he then went back to doing some sorta of dance/right hook jab while watching himself in the mirror and wearing a youth sized underarmor shirt.

he looked like #3.

I'm going to eat him for a cheat meal next time he bothers me
>> Anonymous
>>136944
so your saying you dont think 3 looks strong?
>> Anonymous
#4 has zero pecs
>> Anonymous
a slightly heavier #3 with bigger arms.
>> Anonymous
I'd say 3-4
but seeing as I'm 5'8'' and 124 lbs I have a way to go
>> Anonymous
2 with pecs

A cross between #5 and #3.

3 has the looks, 5 would be your best bet to win a fight.

You have to lift hard to get any of these builds.

The rest depends on natural body size and appetite/budget for food.

>>136844

I have a question for anyone that knows the answer. In between the abs of the OP's picture in #6 what is that spot called? Is there muscle there? If not then what is it called? I feel a little scared about having that kind of open spot there.
>> Anonymous
I question the utility of the OP's chart. For instance 1 and 2 should probably be switched, considering that that pose makes Bruce look less muscular than he was. The examples should all be posed uniformly and of about the same size, otherwise it's hard to really compare.

That being said I'd be happy to reach the lowest rung, being that I'm a lightweight without much definition at the moment.
>> Anonymous
I want the back muscles of 1, the tone of 3, and the shape of 4 (with bigger pecs).

I'm 2 right now, but without the Asian and adding a bit more on the pecs.
>> Anonymous
OP here

Just came back from a weighted pack climb.

Here are the people in the picture, what they are known for, and what they do to achieve their body types:

1)Bruce Lee
An extremely adept martial arts master, founder of Jeet Kune Do. Was known for incredible strength feats such as holding a 80kg dumbbell win front of him with both arms straight for 3 seconds (he weighed 55kg), or doing 2 finger, one armed push ups continuously with feet shoulder-width apart. He trained every moment of the day, doing a variety of isometrics and low-rep weights.

2)Tony Jaa
A modern martial-arts movie star, specializing in Muay Thai. Known for incredible acrobatic feats. view:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epJuNCOGjio
As a teenager, he trained for about 8 hours a day. Lots of traditional Muay Thai training such as calisthenics, running with rocks, and lots of shadow boxing.

3)typical prettyboy model (pic saved as Ellis)
Like most male models, this guy just works on what looks good: Shoulders, Arms, Abs.
He refrains from working on Traps, Lats, or obliques; muscles that are really useful in real life, but aren't necessary in the modeling world for various reasons.

4)Sebastien Foucan
Seb is one of the original founders of parkour. About as strong as you can get without losing agility and fluidity. Trains by Hardened Calisthenics and natural plyometrics (muscle ups, handstand puchups, dragon flags etc)

5)Brock Lesnar
Roughly as big as a human can get just by weight training and taking basic supplements, but not using steroids and the like.

6)Ronnie Coleman
Eh... Google him if you want.
Lots of Weights, Lots of supplements, Lots of steroids.

How do you become as flexible as him ?
>> Anonymous
>>136844
i've only got patience for #3

#5 and 6 require too much muscle build up for me, and 1,2, and 4 require too much fat loss for me

#3 is just right (although I'd work out for function and not just form)

Bruce Lee is fucking perfect.

the bruce lee dumbell thing has gone from a 100lb barbell with 2 hands to 200lb dumbell with 1 hand for 15 seconds to 80kg for 3 seconds, you weaboos gotta work your fucking lies out.

Personally, somewhere between 5 and 6, 5's size but with better proportions.

me here, thought I should post a picture.
It's kinda between 4 and 5 in some ways, and 5 and 6 in others.

any decent mma fighter would beat the shit out of bruce lee. but he was pretty innovative for his time, and had a solid strength to bodyweight ratio

I'm a pretty big Bruce Lee fan myself, don't get me wrong, he was a great man, who left a damned good legacy.

The only problem are the lying faggots who think he was fckin slanty eyed superman, it's not him I think is a crock of shit, it's his cockhead fanboys.

im a #2, at 5'8, 19 and 140lbs. My chest just wont grow even if I already do 5x5benches, squats and deadlifts, it really looks as flat as #2. :(
I want either #3 or #4.

To be honest, im doin it for the wimmins anyways, so strength is only 2nd priority. What advices can you give to reach #3?

Somewhere between 4-5 with actual definition.

"any decent mma fighter would beat the shit out of bruce lee. but he was pretty innovative for his time, and had a solid strength to bodyweight ratio"

I don't know why you say that. Look at Nate Diaz in the UFC. He is 6'0", and only 155 lb (183 cm 70kg), and he's not even cut. He has a 8-2-0 record. You watch people like that fight, and Bruce Lee would hand them their asses on a plate.
>> Anonymous
>>137480
How do you know that?
Ever seen a video of Bruce Lee fighting against an opponent who genuinely wanted to hurt him\win?

And as for>>137446
how many times you seen fucking evidence of bruce lee fans bullshit?

I'm not the one saying shit without evidence, go out there and try and find out precisely how long he held how much weight for, from atleast 3 sources.

good luck, you'll need it.

Bruce Lee trained grappling and wrestling, because he understood the importance of being an allround-fighter. He didn't use this in his movies though because it wasn't exciting visually. There's a difference between Bruce on the screen and Bruce in real life.
>> Anonymous
>>137501There's a difference between Bruce on the screen and Bruce in real life.

Exactly.
He'd get slaughtered by any decent fighter in real life.

Wikipedia quotes (with 2 references):
"Lee could hold a 125 lb (57 kg) barbell straight out"

>>137493
Bruce lee trained takedown methods, but they focused on rabbit punches, and strikes to vulnerable areas such as throat, back of head, eyes and groin when the opponent is down; something that cannot be seen on UFC, MMA and the like.

he was a screen actor and a street fighter not a ring fighter he could protect himself and look good on screen but he wouldnt do so well in something like ufc

The only thing bruce lee ever won in his life was a cha cha dance award
>> Anonymous
>he was a screen actor and a street fighter not a ring fighter he could protect himself and look good on screen but he wouldnt do so well in something like ufc

But he wasn't interested in such competitions
In a real street fight he would be probably unbeatable

>> Anonymous
>>137575
ever heard of a gun?

glorified "street fights" are just the wanky rabbit punch, fish hooking cheap version of UFC that's recorded on phone cameras instead of good quality video.

welcome to reality, we'd say we hope you enjoy your stay, but you wont and we don't.
>> Anonymous
1, 2, 3 are just too small and really wouldn't work out with my basic body type. Number 4 could possibly work if I just burnt everything. Number 5, however, would be the current "goal". Number 6 is just actively out of the question, and the only way I think I'd find myself in that size and with that level of bodyfat would perhaps be by "mistake", which isn't very likely.

>>137575
Lol, yeah right. "He is spiritually above such petty indulgences". Video very related, because waaaaay more often than not, that kind of attitude is hiding shit like this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDaCIDvj6I

>>137585
I hate the Bruce Lee faggots as much as everyone else with half a functional mind capable of critical thought, but the gun arguement is fucking stupid and tired. There are fucking countless brainless 20-30 second street fights that erupt every night around the world, and the fuckers who pull a gun and are ready to kill right off the bat are in the vast fucking minority unless you live in the worst part of town.

3 all the way. Even if you have a face like dick you'll still get girls with a body like that. He's at the limit of too big and just right.
