Hello /fit/ I've recently decided to become a vegetarian, any other vegetarians in here that can tell me how I can get all the stuff they say is in meat (Protein, Omega 3 etc.)

if he's going on a vegetarian diet, there's almost no reason for him to supplement b12. unless by vegetarian he means "no fruit, no nuts, nothing but celery and carrots"

If you don't live in Oregon/Washington/Idaho, you won't have any idea what it is.

Historically, we've been getting cancer for thousands of years. Should I just accept that as an insurmountable fact of human life? Look at our digestive tracts. They're more closely related to herbivores than carnivores. The reason we get diseases is because we have unbroken down proteins left in our systems that would have been broken down by plant enzymes. You're a fool if you think carcinogenic red meat is our heritage.

same fag. meant to say "full amino acid profile" my bad. AFAIK no plant alone will give you the near as much as meat, though a few protien powders I've come across have had a nice pretty stack.

Alright, so to sum it up.
I can get protein/other crap and such from beans, nuts, soy, and pills, but to take it easy on the soy stuff.
Correct?

you are an idiot. militant vegetarians say this all the time, yet they never explain how the healthiest civilizations- romans, greeks, eskimo, native americans, etc managed to get plenty of meat in their diets.

you can't ignore vegetables. you shouldn't ignore meat. plain and simple.

works for me. i'm not a huge fan of vegetarianism, but it's a completely sustainable lifestyle.

Well soy is one of the highest sources of plant protein...and nuts have protein but are high in fat.

As for the estrogen thing...I've heard different opinions on it. I couldn't say for sure, it's something you'll have to research yourself. But soy is definitely the easiest and most readily available source of non-meat protein.
