What to eat? Anonymous
I posted this over at /ck/, but they recommended i eat dust.

I'm on a diet, and i'm fucking hungry. I'm thinking one poached egg, low salt and sugar baked beans, two wholemeal toast, thin, low fat butter.

any suggestions? I'm a vegetarian btw.

if you really don't want to be fat anymore, feel hungry sometimes, it'll shrink your stomach so you'll need less over a longer time to feed you, which is never bad.

in any event, go get some low fat cereal and eat yoghurt with that shit. that's all you should need for breakfast if you don't just make a smoothie.

Honestly just eat something small every two hours, shoot for six meals a day, and you'll be fine. If you eat seafood (some vegetarians do, and pescatarian is more recent word to describe that variety so don't get finicky about semantics) then your options for healthful proteins open up. Otherwise, develop a taste for seitan, lentils, and amaranth or you're boned.

Thanks for the advice. It's not breakfast, its lunch. And i'll be going to the gym about an hour or so afterwards. But i do try and eat little and often. I don't eat seafood either, but i do eat plenty of nuts and seeds for protein, not as much fruit as i should, but still eat some, and quite alot of lentils. I also take vitamin supplements.

Vegetarians and vegans generally have healthier lifestyles, which is why they are generally perceived as healthier. If a meat eater stopped drinking/smoking/whatever I do not doubt they will be just as healthy or even healthier than vegetarians.

Unfortunately for you, meat is the best thing to eat to stave off hunger. Takes longer to digest than carbs or fats.

Regardless, at least increase the number of eggs you eat for breakfast. Breakfast should be your biggest meal. Remember that your body's been without fresh food for 6-8 hours.
