I've just had a friend bitch me out for not motivating myself correctly. Apparently I only want to lose weight because I'll look good, a type of motivation that's "shallow", according to her. She says that she'd rather have me chubby and myself than become thin and a whole new person. And that the only good way to motivate yourself to lose weight was to believe 'you wanted to be healthy'. Is this bullshit or not?

as for me, I've always been competitive, always comparing myself to other people. I have shitty self-esteem and I believe that if I lost some of the weight I'd feel better about myself physically and mentally.

So, do any of you guys who actually lost weight think my way, or put the emphasis on 'healthy, not hot'?

Who the fuck cares about health, we are all going to die sooner or later.

Might as well look good and feel happy until then.

Also tell your "friend" to shut the fuck up and go cook you a steak.

You think that way, then?

Fuck that stupid bitch. I'll bet my last dime that she's fat and doesn't want you showing her up by losing weight and looking good. If you want to work out to feel better about yourself go ahead and do it.
