I'm one of those charismatic chappies who happens to be socially incapable. I have no problem dancing my way around conversation with immense tact and finesse... but I have zero confidence when it comes to getting outside and meeting new people (initiating interaction).
I'm that fairly handsome guy who is quiet 99% of the time, but on the off chance that someone breaks through the, off putting, shield of nervousness I omit, they find out that I'm very cheeky/funny/charming.
I'm just too much of a coward to take my charisma and direct it at pretty girls. I pretty much have to wait for them to talk to me before I can interact with them.
Thankfully a year at college has relaxed my body-language so much that pretty girls strike up conversation with me, without prompt, on a regular basis... this has had a snowball effect and gradually, saying "hi" to girls has become a lot closer to feeling normal.
So now I've noticed that as my conifdence has grown, I've started become a much more approachable guy and as a result, I'm having alot more success and attention from decent looking girls.
Its only taken a few years of confusion and failure.
