Ok /fit/
I'm 5'9'' 115lbs
I can't seem to gain weight at a decent speed. I've been eating a lot more than i used to and I've only gained 5 lbs in the past two months. Anything I can do to speed up the process?
I've also been spending atleast 30 min a day in the gym working on only my upper body.

I understand that, but for how much I've been eating everyday, I really think I should be gaining weight a lot faster. A friend of mine told me I should be gaining 1-3 lbs per week.

Depends on what you do at the gym...chill out on Cardio and work on building muscle. If you are in the gym everyday or every other day with hard work out increase calorie intake to 3k. Also before and after each work out take Creatine. This will increase the amount of water your muscles will hold thus increasing their energy and your workout...This all came from when I was doing the same thing as you from my personal trainer.

I was a fat ass as a child, and eat roughly 2800 calories when bulking.

My friend DJ, who was ridiculously underweight in high school, has to eat roughly 5000 calories, to gain any weight at all.

The second guy seemed to leave out the fact that heavy compound movements, Squats/Deadlifts/Bench, release ridiculous amounts of hormones, which will help your entire body grow.

If you're lifting heavy, eating a shit load, and not growing, then your problem is you aren't eating enough.

Look up calorie dense foods, weight gainer, peanuts, oils, etc.

eat 6 meals a day.

This is what i do:

7am: Wake up and eat 4 slices of brown bread with a boiled egg

9am: bowl fo oatmeal/weatabix

12pm: for lunch eat some lean chicken and salad

5pm: wholemeal fuscilini pasta with tuna

10pm: Cheese on toast, this is really nice for dreams.

(optional hardcore mode)

wake up at 2am: make yourself a horlicks (really good for protein and vitamins) and eat 2-6 hotdogs.

Combine that with intensive workouts each day and you'll see alot of progress.

forget the workout and turn really, really fat.

Just eat normal fucking 3 meals a day, and eat healthy, no salad with fucking dressing, just salad ect.. Tuna, spaghetti and rice has loads of protein, should be just fine.
