this is health and fitness, so even though this is a dumb ass question, I'm asking it here. So I got a haircut yesterday, and it the first time I've gotten it really short since I was like thirteen (now twenty). My hair has always covered my ears until now. And they fucking hurt, really badly, all the time. The outside of them. Usually that only happens when I've been swimming in very cold water for an extended amount of time. So yeah, this is going to sound stupid as shit and like a fucking troll but could my ears be really sensitive or something like that? Or is this all subliminal bullshit that I'm thinking up and there's nothing wrong and I need to get over it?

Well, could be you adjusting to the new condition. Give it a week. If you still hurt, go see a doctor.

Thanks for the Calvin &Susie pick..nice wave of nostalgia here

You might have external otitis or a related condition--probably not related to your hair cut! It could also be the skin of your outer ear adjusting to the UV exposure. It if persists for more than a couple of days, make an appointment with your GP or a clinic and have it checked out.

Seconding the pic...much appreciated.
