So, um... Does mental health /fit/ into the premise of this board?

Yeah, shoot..wait...don't shoot? Post your problem.

Well, pic related.

OCD roll call: Let's hear about your uncommon and wierd manifestations/fugues.

-When I walk down a set of stairs (imagine my head is a pencil so this makes sense, okay?) I try and draw a straight, diagonal line, instead of a jagged zig-zag.
-When I insert a coin into a vending machine, I often find myself caught in a loop; inserting then removing then inserting the coin.
-I don't give a shit about germs or cleanliness, but disorder drives me mad. EVERYTHING has to be symmetrical, but I'll gladly pick up a dropped coin or take out the garbage then eat something.
-I can't smoke inside due to there being a child in the house, so I often go downstairs and have a cigarette. I always find myself pacing in a set pattern (starting at the BBQ, 21 steps to the front gate, 21 steps back, 21 steps to the BBQ) and freak out if the steps don't match.

More stuff, but yeah. Anyone else?

I don't touch escalators because my hands feel dirty after it. I'd lick 'em, though.

I got a thing with numbers. I prefer everything to be in twos, fours, or sevens. Fuck threes, sixes and nines. Ones, fives, eights, and tens are "meh".

Yeah I'm fucked up in the head, but it's mild OCD and it doesn't bother or interfere with me unless I let it.

Yo, OP again.

The more I think about it, the more the 'straight line' thing seems to appear. I tend to do it when walking anywhere, realling. Try to tread light and keep my head from bobbing much.
-I cannot leave a meal unfinished. If anyone says 'they'll put it in the fridge' as leftovers, I will refuse and ask them to pass it to me. "I'll have it for lunch tomorrow" seems to be an adequate answer.
-A window either has to be maximised or be 100x200 pixels in size. Otherwise I get pissed and close it, no matter how important it is.

The rest of it is just symmetrical stuff, now that I think of it.

Are only 3, 6 and 9 bothering you or multiples of 3 in general?
>> Anonymous
>>28040
Don't think it works like that. For example I fucking hate the number 16, and it's not a multiple of 3. Yet the number 24, which is a multi of 3, is acceptable. My favorite numbers are 47/42 (equally appealing), followed by 44. Hate the numbers 33/36, and also 66. 63, oddly enough, doesn't bother me too much for whatever reason. Weird shit, I know.

4chan pisses me off alot, due to the fact that the coloured boxes around posts don't line up on the right.

I don't touch doorknobs or toilet handles whenever I can avoid it (grab using my shirt/etc). If somebody who will care is watching, I will generally bite the bullet and just do it, and be cautious about what else I touch till I wash my hands.

Toilet handles and doorknobs are nasty, and people never think about what they're adding/taking from doorknobs.

Also, ANYTHING in a public restroom is to be considered highly contaminated.

On the other hand, I think it is possible to be too sterile, but with all the animals running around here I don't think I have to worry about that at all.

-I'm a hypochondriac.

-I get headaches every day because I have fucked up neck joints. I see a chiropractor once a week to re-adjust the vertabrae that fastens my neck to my skull, and he has claimed for years that my problems are unlike anyone else he's worked on. In short, doesn't really know WTF is wrong.

-I get really bad heartburn, so I have to take a prescription ant-acid so it doesn't ruin my day. Some people think this is stress related.

-I'm somewhat suffering from post-traumatic stress after having industrial chemical cleaner sprayed into both my eye under pressure last August. I was in the hospital getting my eyes flushed for literally 14 hours straight, and when I went home I had to be taken care of and put in like 8 eye drops a day. Anyway, in the week after that I had panic attacks and hot/cold flashes, my arms suddenly felt really weird and I tripped the fuck out. It made me want to have bath but that just made me uncomfortable.
Now, I randomly wake up and have the same symptoms. I try to take a shit but cant', get cold, sit in front of a heater or have to have a bath and feel like I'm about to have a heart attack and die.

-I have trouble sleeping, see above.

The reason I put this shit in this thread is because a lot of people believe that I'm just a bull blown hypochondriac and that it's all in my head. I think my heart is fucked.

You're just a bull blown hypochondriac and that it's all in your head. Your heart isn't fucked.

I do agree with you, but the neck thing really is fucked, as is the heartburn.

The panic attacks are definitely a mental thing.

guys ... your mental and physical health are intertwined... symmetry in body is symmetry in mind. Feel the spaciousness of your whole self.. mind and body is one. Seriously. Do sports, not to get big and beefy, but to fucking feel the power. People have forgotten how to feel their body, anf now they wonder whats with their mind .... phhhhht-. Do something that involves repetitive symmetrical movements, like running, biking, shit, even dancing. Get your bloody groove on. You got the power. end of sermon.

Yeah, I'm just fucking bat-shit crazy. I pretend to be a trustworthy friend towards people with social troubles and then I kill them for my own enjoyment.

You're still a failure though, lol.
