I need to find a way to deal with stress /fit/ otherwise my brain is going to die! What would help Physically(cant afford mental help)?

I do it on a treadmill set to max incline, dunno about an elliptical though since I've never used one. However, I think it should be about the same...maybe. But, as long as you push yourself to you limit and then go beyond, as I said, you’ll feel like a new person when you’re done. That and the weight loss is a massive bonus.
