Kinesiologist here

I've got a few questions /fit/. Lets see if you can answer them! I'll be back tomorrow morning (scratch that its 4:20 AM) - I'll be back... a quarter till whenever-I-feel-like-it to check on your progress.

=================

Bodybuilders often abstain from glycogen for several days before a contest while doing moderate intensity / moderate volume work, and follow this with a period of carb loading.

1. What is the purpose of this, and what are its results?
2. What are the exact mechanism involved in producing the results?
3. Are there alternative ways of obtaining the same results?

Some people are born strong, and are able to take heavy poundages after very little training. Other people seem to be naturally muscular, and never have a problem showing their lower abs. This is often summed up to genetics, however:

4. Name 2 mechanisms that elicit "genetic" strength.

10. What role do plyometrics play in bodybuilding?

What laws of adaptation are violated in the following programs:

11. HST
12. HIT
13. BC
14. DUP
15. Westside Barbell
16. Heavy Duty

17. What role does whey protein play in the typical fitness diet that other forms of protein cannot fill? Is whey protein necessary to a "best" level program? Explain.

18. What are the 3 pathways of energetics, and how do they interact with various fiber types?

19. Name 2 mechanisms of hypertrophy.

20. Can an athlete remain in "peak condition" all the time? Should this be attempted as part of an athletes preparation for a sports event? Explain.

Kinesiologist here.

21. Once you fap to a trap, do you ever go back?
22. Why do I like hairy men?
23. Lol shitty homosexuals on a wheelbarrow of dicks

DISREGARD THAT I R NOT EDUCATED ENUF TO ANSWER TEH QUESHUNS!
>> Anonymous
if you are too lazy to do your own homework, don't guise it as "ZOMG IM QUIZZING YOU" and just go ahead and say you need some help.

Calling yourself a kinesiologist even though you can't answer these simple questions is pretty much lying. Go away, and never come back.

You know, I remember this faggot from some rage thread, where he would also post "kinesiologist here" before the rest of his post, in the same manner in which whores post "femanon here" and then proceed to give their opinion, thinking it will be carved in stone.

WELL GUESS WHAT, STOP FUCKING POSTING "KINESIOLOGIST HERE", OTHER PEOPLE HERE HAVE PROFESSIONS TOO, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THEY ALL POSTED "SECRETARY HERE" "ADMINISTRATOR HERE" "SALESMAN HERE"

WE'RE VERY HAPPY YOU GRADUATED JAMES, IT'S OK TO START POSTING LIKE ALL THE OTHUR KIDS DO NOW

SURPRISE: BEING A KINESIOLOGIST DOESN'T PUT YOU ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE HERE NOR DOES IT GIVE YOU SOME KIND OF RIGHT TO PATRONIZE AND INTERROGATE PEOPLE

Salesman here,

I agree with>>160584

but but but...

I am quizzing you. If they're so simple why dont you answer a few.

I thought it'd be a nice change of pace from the regular "hai guys i'm 15 and really fat how do I lose weight" and "i'm 7 foot tall and weight 90 pounds should I take weight gainer" type questions.

I mean if you LIKE being asked one of those 203487219834750219387512361293564198263 times a day with nothing different coming in then fine. This thread is for everyone else.

Kinesiologist here.

I like a little mayo in my butt

Kinesiologist here

I propose we all write Kinesiologist here before our posts to homage this gigantic faggot.

Right, but posting "Secretary here" wouldn't make much relevance, considering how secretarial work has nothing to do with fitness.

However, a kinesiologist is one who studies the science of fitness. I post that at the start to help lend just a tad bit of credibility to what I'm about to say. Everything else I say below that is scientifically valid - but lets ignore all the help and advice I've given so far and focus only on the "kinesiologist here" bit.

And when have I patronized you? I actually thought this would be a fun idea. Post some tough questions and get a different kind of topic going.

Well alright, I came at a bad time. Apparently only 11 year olds on mommy's computer are on /fit/ at the moment. If any of you have serious questions or whatnot, go to themedicalhelp.com and click on the efitness forums.

See ya.

Hey bro, you can't just leave like that without writing Kinesiologist here first. We don't know yet that you're not a Kinesiologist here. You have to validate your Kinesiologistic self

1,2,3: dunno, I'm no bbuilder
4: Being short and meso helps
5: Low body fat
6,7,8,9: They are not bad, just isolation work.
If Ronnie leg presses, so can I.
10: Plyo sucks.
11 to 16 didn't try those.
17: no difference to other protein
18: I only know the three pathways of my anus
19: sarco and myoplasmic
20: No, too low body fat and dehydration are bad.

oh right well:

21: no, you can't go back, the gay is henceforth strong in you.
22: Who doesn't like hairy men?
23: That's not a question.

Most of the answers are already there dip shit. For the last time, I thought it would be fun to have people working on some tough questions rather than the same bullshit "how do I lose fat" threads over and over again. Apparently all /fit/ wants to do is gripe moan and complain anytime they see a sentence with a big word in it cuz omg now ur patronizing and interrogating us.

I wrote the questions. I know the answers to them. I figured this would be an educational exercise for everyone. I guess I was wrong and I'll never do this on /fit/ again. We'll all stick with the same bullshit 1st grader questions from now on.

And by the way, since no one's going to answer the questions...

1. The purpose is to force extra cellular fluid into the cells to eliminate subdermal water retention that obscures muscular definition.

2. The mechanisms involve a proliferation of the GLUT4 receptorcite and related enzymes during the abstaining period, followed by a final workout in which insulin is then spiked and carbs are loaded over the next few days, causing a tremendous intake of glycogen resulting in increased definition as explained in answer 1, and increased muscular hypertrophy due to the glycogen storage.

3. Yes, though this way is most commonly preferred.

4. Tendon origin and insertion, which can provide greater mechanical leverage, and the absence of neuromuscular inhibition.

5. Thyroid activity and the distribution of beta receptorcites on adipose tissue

i know that bodybuilders will often load on carbs and simple sugers before a competition because it rapidly increases their blood pressur, so their veins stick out more, but thats all i got

too damn lazy to explain.

10. Plyometrics train the stretch reflex mechanism of muscle fibers, which builds greater force output and reactive strength. This is generally unnecessary in bodybuilding.

11 - 16 lots of typing + ungrateful attitudes = look it up yourself.

17 - None. Whey protein is touted as a "quick absorbing" protein which enhances delivery of amino acids to recently trained muscles, however, the same thing can be accomplished with milk. Absorption rates depend more on insulin, so despite the high caseine content of milk, similar results can be achieved. A "best" level program may still be served better with whey, though the differences are negligible.

CP (n b4 pedobear), otherwise known as Creatine Phosphate

Glycogen

Oxygen

ATP is technically not considered a pathway of energetics, as such pathways are aimed at resynthesizing ATP.

The 4 muscle types are

Type Ia (red fiber)

Type IIa (white fiber)

Type IIb (catabolic fiber)

Type IIc (satilite fiber)

Each fiber type is best served through a particular form of exercise related to one of the 3 pathways.

19 Glycogen overcompensation and satilite cell fusion

20. No. Optimum training requires the body be exposed to an exercise stimulus, through which a period of recovery is necessary. An athlete may "peak", but cannot stay in this condition permanently. Periodization is needed to "time" this peaking so it happens on the day of competition.

Thanks /fit/ I really needed your help to do all that. Couldn't have done it without you.
