menstrual cramps, /fit/.

any way to help them, other than heating pads and midol? i've heard bananas can help, are there any other foods that do? i also tend to have a ridiculously weak stomach during that time of the month.. like, if i eat any fast food, i WILL puke it up in half an hour. same happens with watermelon for some reason. fun times.

pic probably unrelated.

Hot showers, exercise, sex.. etc.
As for food; warm tea, soup.

I just pop ibprophen like candy every few hours and try to not kill myself.

Take some pills and down tea and honey all day. Works like a charm.

Those new reefer cigarettes seem to work.

Also, not being a woman helps.

i've heard that caffiene from coffee or tea can make the cramps worse... is that true? i would test it out for myself, but i already kind of feel like tearing out my ovaries and throwing them and the next person who looks at me funny.

Hormornal birth control. And yes, I am fucking serious, and no, I am not batshit insane. Heck, if you choose to go with the 3 months Injection (depo-provera), after a while you DON'T get any bleeding. Pity it increases risk of osteoperosis in 30+ women.

You have to take the midol before the pain even starts for it to work properly. I take them as soon as I get my period. If I don't I lay on the coach moaning and vomitting for 10 hours taking 50 pills.

Shoot up some horse son. An 8 ball of H should rid you of the cramps.

My friend got recommended this by her doctor. It was either that or drink a litre of milk, PER DAY. She went with the pills, it worked out.

But if you want the non-chemical way OP, I used to have terrible cramps too. I would throw up, get cold sweats and feel like someone was digging out my ovaries with their fingers.
The only thing that worked without painkillers was that I would lie in bed, and literally force myself to relax. This took from 20 to 40 minutes, and it sucked big time. I would toss and turn for a long time, but eventually I fazed out and just fell asleep.
After about an hours nap the cramps were tolerable.

I've always had terrible cramps and about 3 weeks after I started riding my bike everyday and eating healthier, I had my period and didn't have cramps at all. I was pretty-much thrilled. I guess exercise does help so yay.

Switch from tampons to a menstrual cup. I used to have debilitating cramps and when I got a Diva Cup, they lessened considerably, and now I don't have any at all.

I take four 200mg every 4-6 hours. I was merely exaggerating.
