hello, /fit/.
recently, i started running, just this summer.
i'd had these shitty, two year-old puma sneaks as running shoes,
and just today i bought some 'real' running shoes from finish line, by mizuno.
so my question is, do these look high quality enough to help with any damage my knees take? are the legit? you guys know better than i do.

Google "running biomechanics" or "proper running form". Learning to run correctly will do more for your knees than will a brand a shoes.

mizuno is a type of japanese soup.

I've owned two pairs so far, one for actual running and the other just cause they are so comfortable to wear, hey if the olympic athletes train in them they should be good enough for us folks no?

I run in combat boots, because they are the only shoes that I own.

Nah, I'm just poor.

I want a decent pair of running/workout shoes that don't make me look like a poor faggot. Payless is out of the question. All the bitches respond to the Nike swoosh. Why doesn't nike make shit for poor fucks like me.

OP,
before you buy running shoes, you need to find out what kind of shoes you need.

Perform these two test.

Now you know your foot type which will dictate the type of shoes you need to buy.

When buying shoes, always buy a half size(11.5 normal/12 running) up. Your feet will swell from running.

http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=609590 20% coupon

If you happen to wear neutral shoes, try some saucony grid sinister. Mine were $57 with the coupon. I have not got a chance to run in the shoes yet but, they felt great in the few laps I did around the neighborhood.

Also, make sure to buy some running socks. Normal cotton socks will not cut it. If you fail to buy socks, you will pay with blisters and or bacteria/fungi infections.
