Ok /fit/ I just got an IUD today, it felt like she was pulling my fucking uterus out from me. So what is normal in just having a fresh IUD and what is not? Just for informational purposes I got the Mirena.
TL;DR New IUD sucks WTF should i feel?

No one here has female anatomy?

No, people just rarely get IUDs prior to having given birth to children before, due to the risk of expulsion. I opted for the Implanon instead, so I wouldn't be able to help you out there.

How high is that risk and how is the implantation?

Or none of us have the experience.

Sorry to hear about your uterus. If it makes you feel any better I had cramps off and on today. :3

The risk I heard was high enough that people like me were actively discouraged from it. Apparently it's far more difficult to put in as well, because you've never gone through natural birth and had your cervix dilated.

Mind you, if my previous experience with all-progesterone contraception is any indicator, your first two or three periods will go on bloody forever, and then you will sort of stop having more than random spotting.

As for what I feel like with the implanon - it's basically a HUGEASS injection of a rod in your upper arm. It was painful and sore for a while after the local anaesthetic wore off.

Implanon lasts for 3 years, and then you have to have it taken out. Wheeee.

Thanks. I went through PPH for mine they never told me about the higher risk on that. My biggest concern was that of being diabetic. How is the procedure for the implant?

Thanks. It not that bad but shit I haven't cramped this bad since i was like 12

Lol, hormornal contraception made me put about 10kg of weight, but don't worry - most of the weight gain is water retention, and comes back off with proper discipline. If your portion sizes do not significantly change, there should be no reason to be afraid. My family has a history of diabetes too, but I am doing fine.

Lidocain is a great thing but it doesn't tend to last too terribly long... But with the right amount of it you can do ANYTHING with it. Also the chick sucked any moron in the health field knows that the longer lido sits the more numb you will be for the procedure and she just kinda went to town...
