Dead lifts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't have to be as intense as Andy Bolton with his 1003lb Dead lift. But standard deadlifts will add thickness, density, and size to your whole back especially the lower parts that you want. Speaking from experience here. I have a bulging disc that was thrown out from football, and also a surgery fixed left knee. As long as I keep good for I have no problem lifting 455 lbs for a set of 6. So you can do it too with some practice and a good form. make sure you keep all of your weight on your heels, your chin up, your back straight, your mid section tight, and drag the weight up your shins.
