Adderall is so great. I wish I had gotten prescribed/still had friends who never took theirs.

Nothing healthy about Adderall. Only a bunch of lies in the capsule.

With a prescription

Vancouverfag here, yes OP, you can in fact get adderall through prescription in Canada. You're a fucking pussy if you're taking it for weight loss, take it for what it's supposed to be taken for. Granted, you WILL lose weight, and if you're not careful you'll lose A LOT. Regardless, if you've got ADD, take it for ADD, not to shed some poundage of your cellulite-ridden ass. When it's taken for ADD, it works, people who say otherwise didn't take it properly or weren't on the right dose.

I had severe ADD, my mind wandered mid-sentence, and essentially any other really bad time it would be to have your mind wander (speech in front of audience FTL). My marks in school were shit, I couldn't concentrate in class, thus not knowing how to do my homework, not being able to focus well enough for long enough to learn the material, and ultimately failing tests and half-assing my assignments. I started the adderall late in the year, pulled my marks up from the shitter, and managed to pass all my courses. My average went from 30-40% to mid 80's. Shit works.

Hahaha someone saying he has ADD and takes meds for it calls someone else a pussy, ace dude.

so what are the side effects of adderall? any mood swings? depression? change in personality?

I got loss of appetite, more energy, more focus, loss of ability to get an erection (while on the drug). I think a lot of shit *can* happen though.

One time I took it in the afternoon instead of the morning and I had the worst night of my fucking life.... It was like a bad acid trip and an out of body experience... slept for like 30 seconds.

I hear your not supposed to take them too late in the day since it'll fuck up your sleeping. Isn't that one of the main points they always stress when taking the meds?

loss of an erection? What're you, gay?

When taking an adderall I've found I can have sex for hours and not tire out, its fucking amazing.

Am 23 and wanting to get on it. Never took Ritalin as a kid although I think that woulda helped me a lot. Think a doc would be iffy bout prescribing it to me now?

I'd be a pussy if I didn't do anything about the ADD. If you think that not being able to carry on a conversation, focus in sports, and pass school is being tough and manly, then you're a fucking idiot. I got off my ass and helped myself out of a downward spiral that would have made me a useless lazy fuckup for the rest of my life.

You say it like you think you're so clever and what I said before is oh so ironic, but the reality is that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. People who want to avoid working out to lose weight by taking ADD meds are pussies, end of story. Now kindly explain to me what I'm supposed to do to correct my ADD; can you find a way to make it better otherwise? I sure can't. If it was possible without pharmaceuticals, then I'd do it, but it's not.

Way to make yourself look like the dumbshit you are, "ace dude".

Your dose was far too high then, that shouldn't happen. I take an extra 30mg of XR 4-6 hours before I play hockey (only when it's late at night though) and I sleep fine.

You should be able to get it fine. ADD is way over-diagnosed. The vast majority of people who are medicated and diagnosed with ADD actually don't have it. Just get a referral to a specialist from your doctor and it should go smoothly from there.

Side effects I got at the beginning were pretty crazy appetite suppression, slight insomnia, huge sudden weight loss (doesn't happen to everyone; was the appetite suppression coupled with the fact that I had a shitload of hockey/hockey training), and occasionally light headaches. As soon as you start on adderall, you'll actually concentrate worse for the first week or so, and the same will happen every time you up your dose. During that week you'll probably get some light sweating, jitters, and restlessness when the drug's effect "peaks" (a few hours after taking it). You'll also feel fucking amazing; super personable, incredibly happy, tons of energy. As for the impotency thing, it didn't really happen to me. In fact at the beginning I was horny as shit, all the time. Once you get used to it, it's not that you won't be able to pop a woody, but you just won't get horny as easily and you won't always have sex on the mind, which for concentration's sake is definitely a good thing.

Lol, way to blame your laziness on a made up illness, you're worse than dumbasses who think they've got 'depression' just because they're too pathetic to actually try and improve their life. Some people (eg MYSELF) actually have something you're unfamiliar with, it's called SELF CONTROL, we don't have to use a drug as a crutch to succeed in life.

It's easy to say something's made up when you don't have it. By that judgement, I haven't had cancer, so it's not real. People with cancer are just pansies trying to milk sympathy and get special treatment. yeah, that's not closed-minded at all. While I'll admit, most of the people who take adderall just fake having ADD to get high, and they are most certainly lazy. But if you'll kindly explain to me where laziness fits into the equation when your concentration drops off MID SENTENCE in an otherwise enthralling conversation. Taking it in the first place wasn't based on a "oh i'd rather watch TV than do my homework" whim, it was based on the fact that functioning as an adult without it is not possible. Anyone with true, real ADD, will agree with me. It has nothing to do with being lazy, I tried so hard to pay attention, so hard to focus, but I just couldn't. I would tell myself to concentrate, but even then, It just didn't work. As for the self control comment, what the fuck are you talking about? Oh yeah, I'm going to deliberately ensure that I fuck up my life, because doing something about it makes me weak.
