Hey OP,

I sympathize. I lost around 120 lbs and have the exact same problem. My bodyfat used to be almost 30%, now it's exactly 10.5%.

I could see my abs, but there's this annoying little flab on my lower abdomen that really disappoints me considering all the hardwork and dieting I did. I even did a ton of weight lifting and circuit training to gain muscle and tone up at the same time, but mainly to avoid things like this; to no avail.

I went to a surgeon, and the Dr. said that I have done everything I have possibly can to look my best, but my skin is just too elastic to snap back into place. He said that I was a good candidate for an abdominoplasty.

I was pretty bummed...all that hard work, only to have a hang up like this that can only be fixed by surgery.

But then I found this thread:

http://training.fitness.com/photo-gallery/honest-how-bad-my-loose-skin-28526.html

The guy in the thread has the exact same problem we do, and also considered surgery. BUT, he tried fixing the problem HIMSELF by bulking up and attempting to fill out the area with lean mass, specifically the lower back.

As you can see from the pics, he's getting some pretty solid results.

So here's what I advise you to do OP:

I recommend that you do the same thing I'm going to do the next 6 months...and that's bulking up, HARD. I'm aiming for AT LEAST 25 lbs of lean mass before the end of the year, hopefully 30. I'm gonna see if I truly can fill out the area with mass, and see how my body will respond.

If that STILL didn't work...well, then we'll know that we will have tried everything in our power to be in our best shape possible, and accept the disappointing reality that some things can only be corrected surgically.

But I'm a firm believer in mind over matter, and that the human body can be shaped and transformed into the best condition possible, provided yuo have the iron will and dedication to achieve it.

GOOD LUCK, OP ;) !

If you find a stretch mark cream that actually works, post a new thread about it every day.

you know without steroids the BEST you could ever get is something like 2 pounds of muscle a month, with flawless diet and exercise on top of good genetics
>> Anonymous
>>97736

Fully aware of that, anon. Not going anywhere near steroids, pheromones, test boosters...etc.

I don't think that 20-25 lbs over the course of a YEAR is too unrealistic, with proper diet and sheer dedication.

I'm not one of those people who are like "HUUURRR DUURRR I'M GUNA LUUZ ME SUM WEIGHT BEFO SUMMA FER THE BEACHES AND HOS DURR CURLZ 4 DA GURLS".

I'm not in any hurry for anything. I want to achieve the best I can, no matter how long it takes. But I've made my calculations, and over a 12 month period, say I've made consistent gains of 1.5 lbs per week...

1.5 x 12 = 18 lbs...24 if I was REAL lucky.

But you know what? I get to KEEP my gains! Because I didn't force my muscles into doing something they're not supposed to do by bloating them up.

Like I said...the main reason I'm doing this is to try and alleviate the same problem the OP has...and that's loose skin and lax tissue.

Do I care how long it takes? No. Will I take drugs to acheive my goals? No. Am I optimistic that I will achieve my goals on my own, with hard work and maximum mental and physical effort? HELL YES.

Can't wait to hit the gym HARD!

it is unrealistic.

>>97779

Well, like I said...I'm not looking for a quick fix. It's just a goal to shoot for...1, 2, 3 years, I don't care...I'm in this for good.

I should have rephrased my goal: It's 20 lbs of mass, REGARDLESS of how long it takes.

did someone say roids?

you're 20 and you want to take steroids? you're a fucking idiot.

you're 20 and you've plateaued and you want to take steroids? you're a fucking idiot.

you haven't tried anything. unless you know what terms like sheilko, complex conjugate, linear periodisation and the three methods of building strength are, no way should you even be looking at steroids.

unless you've read the poliquin principles, beyond bodybuilding, starting strength, the anabolic diet, the german body comp program, supertraining and every article over at the westside website, you shouldn't be starting on steroids.

unless you can put faces to the names of simmons, tate, poliquin, tsatsuoline, siff, zatsiorsky, koan and john, can name at least three mr olympias and know how they trained and can give a brief summary as to why mentzer was a crazy crazy motherfucker, you shouldn't be starting on steroids. you get bonus points if you know about the barbarian brothers.

also, your diet is crap. where the fuck are your fat sources? if your diet is crap, you shouldn't be starting on steroids.

you're just a lazy motherfucker that thinks steroids are going to change his life. you want to take steroids and you didn't even know that the lower pec is not a seperate muscle. if you didn't know the lower pec is not a seperate muscle, you shouldn't be starting on steroids.

jesus christ. go and do a years worth of research on weightlifting. until you do that, guess what? you shouldn't be starting on steroids.

Thanks, wise anon, for hitting the point home

The day you submit to the inner faggot that wants a quick fix through drugs is the day you have failed.

No ifs, ands, or buts about it. And don't give me any of that "steroids are safe if used responsibly" bullshit. Never heard anything lamer in my life.

They're DRUGS. Pure and simple. Sure you'll be happy for a week or two, but at the expense of a libido of a dead horse, and balls the size of chuck peas.

Unless of course, you're comfortable with cheating yourself and your own body. Go ahead. A false sense of satisfaction (the kind you get when you cheat on a test successfully) followed by a lifetime of fail awaits.

steroids are funny, every guy i went to high school with that was sorta into weight lifting is now 24 and on steroids cuz it's cool. also funny: been doing it the natural way and i'm bigger and stronger than they are. and i won't die of a fucking stroke!!! win.

also pretty good. steroids are the easy way out and usually the people that use them are in it for the wrong reasons. i have no beef with people doing it but i do when they think they're bigger and better than everyone else when in their heart of hearts they know they've let themselves down.

i do, almost to the point of anal retentiveness. i'm going for my yearly physical next month and me thinks i should ask a professional.

Surgery will leave always scars and big ones at that.
If you are unlucky, the doc butchers you or some other shit like an infection happens.
I would never ever consider that a solution.
Patience and workout.

i was thinking maybe he'd tell me it was something i was taking and give me a prescription for a medicated bodywash or something.

Same here.
Went from 143kg to 74kg.
I had considerably more loose skin, and had to have abdominoplasty 14 days ago to correct it.
They removed nearly 1,5kg of skin and fat.
It is still early days and while it is 10x better than it was, I feel that I need more work done to get the result I'm looking for.
The suregon said that in about 9 months time I would be able to have a final correction done, if I still wanted it.

I think you need to wait a bit more for your skin to heal and take proper shape...

After you've healed 100% just work hard.

Good job on the weight loss...awesome job, in fact:)
