I figured I might as well ask this here since sometimes you guys offer some incredible insight, if not a good laugh. Before you go off on me though, I already have an appointment with my doctor scheduled to address the following issues.

I was recently prescribed Adderall (the generic version actually, a combination of some detroamphetamine salts) at a dosage of 20mg twice a day when needed. I was wondering if any of you guys are on it and/or could offer me some advice.

Firstly, I feel like its effects are wildly unstable. Sometimes it works marvelously and I'm focused, talkative, outgoing, and ambitious. Other days, it seems to only make me irritable and finicky. Sometimes I can't even tell I've taken anything at all.

Concerning this, I was just curious as to why it's like this? My other question was about tolerance and if I would have to keep increasing the doses to achieve the same level of effect, but assuming that's not the case, what else could it be? I don't ingest them regularly, and I'm not abusing them (the most I take, and have ever taken, is the prescribed dose), so why do results vary so widely?

Lastly, what kind of effects would the adderall have on weight training and muscle growth? I have heard that adderall inhibits the ability of the body to heal itself, though I have yet to experience this, I think.

Have any of you guys had better experiences with something else? I love the way it helps with focus, and it makes me confident enough approach people I don't know and make new friends, but I hate how unpredictable it is.

Pic related, as sometimes it's used as a weight loss drug.

That shit will eventually send you into amphetamine psychosis.

Seriously, get off of it. And yes, it can help with weight loss because it's a powerful stimulant that will both increase your resting heart rate and make you not want to eat. Of course, it will also fuck you up just as bad or worse than the fat and if you stop using it everything will come back even worse.

Just do LSD on a regularly basis. It's probably healthier.

I was on it daily for a while (over a year) and it became really tough to do anything, I lost weight, stopped eating, couldn't sleep or do anything unless I was on the adderal. Since then I've quit, and now I only use it on days I have a test.
