OK, so I need some help. I am 22, almost 23, and about 230ish. While most people say I don't look it, (I must wear my weight well or something) I'm seriously self-conscious about my weight, and need to lose some for general health and to help with my future career (TV Broadcasting, I hope) I've (mostly) cut out soda, and have since lost 10 pounds, but I want to be somewhere close to 200. less would be nice, but I'm not getting any delusions just yet. I really enjoy biking, and am about to start doing it regularly, but what advice might /fit/ have about losing this excess weight? Muscle definition is a plus, but I'll worry about that AFTER I get my weight down.

Stop drinking all soda. Drink diet soda if you must. Start doing weights now to keep whatever muscle you have, as well as providing a strong base for future bulking. Find your BMR online and work it out so that you net 500-800 Calories under it. Lots of cardio helps here and is the healthiest way to reduce net intake.
