sup /fit/

pic is of me. have been eating a strict diet and doing cardio daily and have shed 60 pounds so far to get here.

i have a few questions:

1) how the fuck do i get rid of these stretch marks?

2) what can i do about my love handles? it seems like no matter what i do they won't go away and i only gain even more of an hour glass shape.

3) umrelated, but: what the fuck can a chubby, pale guy with jet black hair do haircut wise that won't look like shit? i've let it go for so long due to just not knowing what to do with it.

1: coco butter
2: more cardio, start weight lifting if you haven't already
3: go to a salon and ask the girl what would look good, or post a pic of it

YOU CANNOT GET RID OF STRETCH MARKS.

They will only fade in color with time.

fast weight loss/gain = stretch marks

Weight loss will never result in stretch marks. Stretch marks are caused by the skin expanding too fast, not by it shrinking. Losing weight may make them more visible, in some instances, but they're already there.

Fast weight loss of a ton of weight (+200lbs) can leave behind excess skin.

1. Wait, they'll fade and turn silvery but they'll stay there forever.
2. Cardio, lots of cardio.

stretch marks are permament

get working out then later tell them its because of muscles

they never leave, just fade into thin untouchable scars

Excellent work man, keep up the good work!

If you go to the Doctor, they can do laser treatment on them while they are still dark, and if you live in the UK, you can get it on the NHS depending on where you live.

I have tips for stretch marks only, not your other questions.

First of all, as far as I know, there's no way to make them COMPLETELY go away...however, you can drastically reduce their appearance.

Here's some things you can do.

Exfoliate the stretch marks and the surrounding area...frequently (like 2 or 3 times a week) and HARD. Like, you might even want to use a fine sandpaper for it. I personally use one of those scratchy sponges that you're supposed to wash dishes with. This scrapes off a little bit of the top layer of skin and stimulates collagen in the area. You might also want to put some kind of moisturizing lotion on them, or a stretch mark cream, like cocoa butter or Striae. I used Striae and have seen some good results.

Eating and drinking things that are healthy for your skin could help with your stretch marks. Lots of fruits and veggies, lots of water, protein-rich foods, etc. Make sure you get plenty of vitamin C, E, A, B, zinc, and possibly MSM. You might also just take a skin/hair/nails supplement. I have even gone so far as to take pure collagen supplements, like aminosculpt.

Don't think about them so much. If you obsess over them, it will slow their healing process (mind over matter, positive feelings, yadda yadda).

Also, massaging the skin where you have stretch marks, along with the stretch marks themselves, can help. Stimulates blood flow, speeds up healing, etc. This can work for any type of scar.

Eventually consider getting a laser treatment, or microdermabrasion, or a chemical peel. These things will help, but until you have the money to afford these things, try the tips I've mentioned.

I stopped reading here.

But then I read on because I couldn't tell whether you were trolling or not.

Now I know.

I'm not trolling. I have stretch marks, and I have become very informed about methods to get rid of them, because I hate mine so much and I really want to get rid of them. Also, when I said I use one of those scratchy pads for washing dishes...keep in mind, I'm not talking about a brillo pad. That would be WAY too rough. I'm talking about one of those scott brite things. It's a little painful, but the difference it makes is worth it. If you wanted to play it safe for a while, you could just use that St. Ive's apricot scrub and rub it REALLY hard.

In regards to this:

>If you obsess over them, it will slow their healing process (mind over matter, positive feelings, yadda yadda).

Science has proven that negative feelings can slow the healing process of injuries, and that positive people heal faster. Look it up if you don't believe me. Yah I know a stretch mark is not an "injury" per se, but I don't see why this couldn't potentially help with making them fade a little faster. And it certainly couldn't HURT.

And besides...even if doing this last part DOESN'T help your healing process, it will still make you feel better about them, which is a great benefit in and of itself. If you can't get rid of them or reduce their appearance significantly, then learning to live with them and not be bothered by them is the next best thing.

Anyway...whether you believe me or not, good luck.

op, dont hold back on us, losing 60 pounds is great, what was your strict diet and daily cardio?

In return. Use a product called bio-oil. My wife had twins and she was always quite a petite woman so she had really visable stretch marks that upset her. Then she used bio-oil and they've virtually faded to nothing, you can only see them if you really look for them.

You cant ever get rid of them sadly, but they will fade to virtually ntohing (eventually) Bio-oil will help
