Im an agoraphobic been one for almost 11 months now and havent left the house in that time frame. I also suffer from severe panic attacks, however my panic attacks are a tad diffrent from what i hear most people feel. I feel the normal symptoms hyperventilation, cant breath, etc. However after a few minutes of this i completely go numb starting in face/tongue and i feel like im outside my body and i cant remember anything till i just come to, like i been asleep. People thats been near me say i convulse and have severe muscle spasms (Resembling siezures) I been to countless doctors and had cat scans, etc and they ruled out seizures but they cant tell me why i do that. Sorry for such a long rant does anyone else have this happen to them or heard of it or suggestions?

You subconscious is probably stuck in a state of shock, and because it doesn't use logic to judge emotion. So it's probably stuck in a state of shock like if you get in a car crash you can tell yourself it won't happen again but your subconscious will be paused at that one time thinking it will get into another crash.

tl;dr Did you ever have any really really bad experiences when you were young that involved a big public crowd?

This is almost the most idiotically retarded pseudopsychological tripe I've ever read.

True story. You're just a pussy who fakes the symptoms so he can justify to himself not going outside.

I'm going to work now, but I am going to say this. Almost all of it is in your head. When you get in a situation where you'd normally have panic attacks, you probably start forcing yourself to feel strangely--to get nervous and upset and feel sick and hyperventilate and shake. Some of it is not under your control, but it sounds like instead of trying to deal with it and try to overcome/manage it, you just run like a sissy bitch and go "WHY ME"..

Grow up, son.

Boleslaw Prus (born at 1847) was from poland was journalist and he suffered from agoraphobia. Being babied has nothing to do with it.

If going outside was that easy without freaking out would have done it already.

Go see a doctor. You might need to go outside to do this.

I was waiting for someone to prove me wrong....it was more of a blanket statement. It RARELY happened back in the day. Today, everyone and their mother has some sort of debilitating mental disorder.

Just don't freak out. What the fuck are you afraid of? NOTHING! Like I said, stop being a bitch.

i have been on several diffrent kinda of medications, therapy, and pyschologists to no avail.

I do agree, people do seem to want to be sick, however i would rather be well again and go back to work, sitting around all day sucks.

I have fear of having another panic attack as well as delusions/hallucinations of people staring at me and stalking me when im near any person. Just because /b/ is down doesnt mean you need to spam here.

I'm not spamming. I just don't get it. There's no boogeyman, or zombies, or whathaveyous that will "get you." I just don't see what the issue is.

Also, >i would rather be well again and go back to work
You mean this hasn't always been the case? Now I really don't get it.

I had pain incuded anxiety before, while I never had a full blown panic attack with hyperventilation or breathing problems I did have every single other symptom of one, prolly the worst being constant heart palpitations

anyway shit is very real and was very homo but then again like I said mine was pain incduced, I was able to overcome it with cognitive therapy and just basically just repeated shit to myself on a constant basis for weeks upon weeks

tldr I have no idea about your convulsions but good luck getting better, as devastating as such simple shit can be now you will without a doubt look back at it and be like wat

also don't try to convince anyone (esp on 4chan) that your problem is real, unless they have lived it or know someone who has it's just another assburgers

thanx :) Glad you've gotten better.

Have you tried to go out your comfort zone?

if you wont go anywhere yourself what would happen if you got in a car with someone you knew and they drove you around for an hour, would you have a hour long panic attack. or possibly a 2 minute one followed by 58 minutes of, oh phew I faced my fears I feel better now?

I have panic attacks and I don't believe in anyone else's psychological problems. I'm usually just like "get over yourself and stop whining."
I'll be making fun of my grandma who's afraid to go up stairs, or my schizophrenic father, then all of a sudden HOLY FUCK WHY IS THERE NO AIR IN THIS ROOM!?!?!? I'VE GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE, JESUS FUCK, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I CAN'T FEEL MY ARMS!!!! Then I put my arms up and start rubbing my head.

I have the panic attack and afterwards am completely exhausted and sore, then the fear starts building back up after a few minutes and i have another one, and cycle keeps going until i get inside.

>tired
>sore

so basically at some point your mind will possibly be like hey, I've had enough of this lets chill out on the panic attacks

seriously, try going out for an hour or so, if you have 20 panic attacks so be it, you know well enough by now a panic attack wont kill you the only thing its doing is holding you back from living your life.

so give it a shot and what do you have to lose?NOTHING

what do you have to gain back? everything!
