I have a bad cold (snotty, sore throat) but I have to give a hour-long speech tomorrow. Any tips to beat it and keep mah voice good? I am taking shitloads of vitamin C, vitamin B-6, a multivitamin, some Benadryl (drys up my nose, hooray), and drinking fucktons of water.

Also I have never had a cold when I go to the dentist for a cleaning, is that going to complicate things? I keep thinking if I lie with my head back like that I'll be choking on my own mucus or some shit.

Being sick sucks dick.

One thing I heard that works for a sore throat is tea with honey in it. Never tried it, though.

and just as a warning i guess, a lady at my work tried using those sinucleanse systems where you pour shit in your nose to clean it out or whatever and blew out her eardrum, so i would avoid that!

when I have one of those ultra irritating sore throats I take a few sips of a warm drink and let it run down the back of my throat a little before actually gulping the sip. Just be careful not to choke on it.

Oh man. You feel refreshed after a Sinucleanse, if you do it right. First time I did it, it was hard to keep the water from flowing down my throat. The second time, I used water that was too hot and I ended up rolling around on the ground waiting for the pain to stop. It was like when you bang your knee or pins and needles when your foot falls asleep. Just have to let it pass.
