/fit/, I absolutely hate running. I have always hated running. I played soccer for 10 years of my life, and that sport requires a lot of running, and I still hated running. I run a fuckton in ROTC now, I'm in decent shape, and I still hate fucking running. When I see someone who enjoys running and they run for the fun of it, I have no clue how that works because I have to force myself to go out and run on my own. How can I like to run?

hey I'm unfit as you can get without being a fatfuck. Running hurts like a bitch but I still enjoy it. Wind 'n shit on my face, I know I'm actively improving myself, deep breathing. its awwwwright

Running, for me, is like supremely satisfying self-torture... It's extremely difficult and uncomfortable, yet somehow at a very primal and basic level it feels utterly worth it. That's the only way I can explain it.

Totally agree. I wonder where the rule 34 stuff is on running...need to mix it up with some BDSM...

just run somewhere where there are a lot of other runners

not for the company, but to humiliate them

i always overtake those shitty bastards that are dressed like they're gonna run a marathon (skin-tight faggot clothing and such) even though they're just gonna do a single 5K lap around the local lake

Me and my buddy are trying to get in shape for the police academy, but running is fucking boring. So we just get like twenty people together and play hide and seek or tag on his farm.

I just can't get into that mindset while running. I know it's helping me, but the entire time I run I'm always thinking, "fucking christ I hate this so much."

Small town, not too many runners unless I drive for 20 minutes to get to my college campus just to run.

I think I need to get an iPod to listen to while running or something.

i hum the GONNA FLY NOW from rocky in my mind and I can run for hours. But nowadays, I mostly do HIIT so i don't have time nor enough attention to listen/hum etc any music.

A lot of it is the perception your mind has of a certain exercise. Whenever it starts to suck just tell yourself "fuck, this feels so fucking good, don't wanna fucking do anything else". After a while the pain will habitually turn to pleasure. I think all long distance runners are masochists at heart.
