Hello, i am one the staff at Wellspring. I look forward to touching...uhh i mean helping you reach your goal.

Thanks Pedobear.
But I'm not young enough for you.
sry </3

So basically its going to costs thousands of dollars to send you off for the summer as opposed to using google to lean what to eat & plan it out, cardio & weights. Your mother just really wants you out of the way so she can get plastered in cum every night.

It's a win-win situation.

>>181878
I'm sure it's something like that.
Although I don't want to think of my 54yr old mom having sex.
>> Anonymous
>>181881
I do, post pics.
>> Anonymous
>>181881

What is it that makes you think she is plotting to send you to fat camp?
>> Anonymous
>>181896
I'm obese and diabetes runs in the family. 5'4 237lb
(she flat out asked me if I wanted to go.)

There's always the chance she wanted me to go for social reasons or some crap like that. Which IS possible, since I don't exactly get out of the house much.

also: no pics for you.
>> Anonymous
>>181904
It'll probably be good for you, I'd go.
>> Anonymous
>>181904
Go and post pics.

Although, those "fat camps" rarely seem to work out. Even on that MTV reality show, a lot of the kids were repeating visitors and the main girl who kept the weight off wasn't even that fat to begin with.
>> Anonymous
>>181904

I think that falls under morbidly obese rather than obese. If at that weight you cant be bothered to wake up and do something about it for yourself then you should go to fat camp or an hero, either way is funny.
>> Anonymous
Tell her to save her fucking money and get you a personal trainer instead. With money like that you can get something around 50 sessions which could last you months. In other words. Learn how to fucking exercise and it will last you a lifetime instead of a couple of weeks.
>> Anonymous
Yeah, might as well go. Free vacation.
>> Anonymous
>>181905
>>181908
I know I'll probably end up going because I have a thing for airplanes :x

Why do I has to post pics?
And that show was ridiculously annoying. That was like, Camp Pocano Trails or something weird like that.

>>181910
I've concidered a hero'ing but I'm too much of a wimp to actually do it. And yeah, I just checked. I'm at 40.1 right now. (magical weight gaining powers, 15lbs/3weeks)

>>181916
Won't work, tried it before. She wouldn't even join the stupid Y gyms with pools.

>>181917
Thanks. I probably will, if only because I don't want to be in Texas.
>> Anonymous
>>181916

He could lose his virginity at fat camp though, full of desperate teens.
>> Anonymous
>>181917
Isn't morbid obesity the final result of free vacation-ing?

Getting a personal trainer seems like a better idea. If they're mean, you'll get TUFF!!! But don't puss out. Fat kids generally seem to get all pussy and quit stuff when it gets too hard. I guess the question is: If you had to choose between lifelong health problems and an overall low quality of life or being fucking awesome after a few months - years of working hard, which would you choose?
>> Anonymous
Yeah man.. kick it at home with some HIIT and stop piling down the hoagies, you'll be ready to get out and be social in no time. 5'4 240 is RIDICULOUS, no reason to die young when there's everything you can do to change. Peace, GL

This is true... losing virginity burns calories too.

>>181924
Never been on vacation, actually.
But yeah, I know what I'd pick if I could.
(In before NO GIRLS)
>> Anonymous
My opinion? You should really just start walking.
I found a chart...somewhere. Says that if you walk one mile in 20 minutes at that weight, you burn...I believe 150-200 calories(been a bit ago since i looked that up, though). And doing that is pretty reasonable. My sister is 300, and can do that.
So, if you walk an hour (3 miles), you can burn about 500-600 calories. Maybe more, depending on inclines and such.

Drink only water and fruit. Vegetables if you want, but fruit fares well, and are typically more flavorful.

If you do this the entire summer, ???, profit.

Ok i think that puts you beynd morbidly obese.

Seriously did you just sit there and think it would work itself out? Your mother should be fucking ashamed of herself, it makes sense now why she would fork out (pun intended) this much money.

And no, genetics is not the reason. Its bad habits being passed down to their kids adopting a lazy lifestyle while eating junk food all day.
>> Anonymous
>>181935
bad habits = genetics
>> Anonymous
>>181936
Bull shit, that's just a pussy excuse, you might of learnt them from your parents, but that's not genetics.
>> Anonymous
>>181936

What?

Seriously, What? Did you think about that AT ALL? Can you be THAT FUCKING STUPID?!
>> Anonymous
>>181936
I'm sorry, allow me to repeat myself.

bad habits = genetics

It's not my fault if you guys think I'm wrong. Blame my Dad.
>> Anonymous
>>181935
I meant to imply that she's sending me off to lose weight so my chances of getting diabetes go somewhat down, not that the reason I'm fat is because diabetes runs in the family.

No, I didn't expect it all to 'work out'
I was miserable and depressed when I was 11-13, and fully expected to be dead before I was 15-16. I didn't particularly care about a damn thing at all.

My mother isn't the #111!!1 mom, but she pays the bills and I do love her. It's my choices that put me here, not hers. She knows I want to do something about my weight, and she suggested camp because I'd never been out of state before and haven't had real social interaction since 6-7th grade.
...
Hopefully. :p

>>181931
Thanks. :) If she changes her mind, I have this notepad'd and saved. (I technically have more than summer. /online highschool)

Dude, something genetic, as applied by it's name, is something you get from your GENES. Watching Simpson's for 16 hours a day isn't genetic.
>> Anonymous
You dare insult the relevance of The Simpsons to our genetics? Heretic!
>> Anonymous
>>181931

I have to kind of disagree, or at least add to this if you're going to really look into it. At the kind of weight you're at you'd be at a dangerous risk to have a rebound if you went from (what I can only assume is) about 3500 calories a day to water and fruit only. You can't think of this as a 'diet' because 'diet's' end. To really change yourself for the better it's gotta be a permanent, though gradual, change or you'll just rebound and get fatter than you ever were.

Walking is a good place to start but once you get down, you have to get some weightlifting going. and look into HIIT (despite what some may thing, HIIT doesn't have to be superman hard. switching up between walking and a light job counts if you're in really bad shape.)

again, Peace, GL

I've actually been hovering at 237 for about 3 weeks at 2000/day. (3 weeks doesn't seem like alot when I type it out, but that's like a miracle for me :\)
>> Anonymous
Under 2000 might be kind of getting into the hazy dangerous area. Start getting more/harder exercise, ESPECCIALLY some kind of strength exercises. If you really can't get to a gym, at least try to get mammy to get a few sets of dumbells. If even that fails, fill some fucking milk jugs with water. Where there's a will, etc.

>>I have this notepad'd and saved.

You actually needed someone to tell you that? Jesus fucking christ.

Really how dumb are you? You admit to not leaving the house so i assume from that you sit on your ass all day (and before you say it, waddling to the fridge to get more food is not exercise), and spend your time eating junk food. If you are consuming more calories than you are burning, you are going to put on weight.

>>181936

Christ, stupidity has just reached the next level.

1) Count your calories--eat about 2000 a day
2) Walk / jog for a while each day
3) Do some basic bodyweight exercises like push ups and squats

I bet you all the fucking money in the world that your parents "taught" you to be fat when raising you. It's not your DNA (genes) instructing your body to have bad habits, or instructing you to be fat.

Had you been adopted at birth by marathon runners, you wouldn't be fat, or would have had bad habits.

Obesity and bad habits have absolutely no link to genetics.

Actually, that's not true at all. BMR varies greatly between individuals and is solely determined by genetics. Appetite, willpower, and other factors are all at least partially determined by genetics.

That's not an excuse to be fat, but ignoring genetics is simply ignorant and profoundly stupid. Pretending you know what you're talking about when you clearly have no clue is idiotic.
>> Anonymous
>>182117
BMR can be altered through environment. fail.
>> Anonymous
>>182125
Yes, your metabolic rate can be altered. But the BMR of an individual is still determined by genetics.
>> Anonymous
>>182133
so your lazy, is what you're saying
>> Anonymous
whee nature vs nurture.

here's a tip - instead of bitching about how your genes make you lazy, weak-willed, and super-hungry, at least make an effort to do all the shit you KNOW is a good idea.

if you spend a month working at it and you're still just as fat? sucks to be you, save up for lipo. bet you a nickel that won't be the case.
>> Anonymous
>>182133

Genetically fat should be a meme on /fit/, funniest shit i read in a long time.
>> Anonymous
>>182142
I'm not fat. But I've known people who eat less than I do and exercise more, and are still fat. And their parents were fat.
>> Anonymous
>>182143
agreed theres no excuse for being fat

but this guy is still right about some things being determined genetically. its not an excuse but its still true.
>>182117
>> Anonymous
>>182163
1 - how do you know they eat less than you? you follow them around all day? in addition, eating "less" isn't necessarily the problem. do they eat 2 bigass meals a day filled with carbs and no protein (woo processed pasta)?

2 - yes. genetics can and does play a role. it means some people must work harder than others. this is life. i will never look like lebron james. neither will you. doesn't mean you're genetically destined to end up the comic book guy.
>> Anonymous
low carb caloric deficit, high protein, high in good fats.
heavy compound weightlifting with minimal rest between sets.

this fucking always works
>> Anonymous
>>182167
determined, no. influenced, yes.

some people have a harder time losing fat and building muscle. i'm one. my father is fat. my mother is fat. i have friends who seem to simply look at a gym and lose 10 pounds, while it takes me forever.

still gotta do that shit. unless you really like cheetos and bed sores, in which case, full speed ahead captain kirk.

Kids really shouldnt be allowed on /fit/.
