so, /fit/, I come to you with a request. I am overweight and I know that the simple formula for weight loss is "eat less, exercise more" but I was wondering if you guys had resources for any specific, non-gimicky diets that I could use. My main problem is that, since I don't do most of my cooking, I usually end up eating whatever gets cooked.

I've lost and then regained ~20-30lbs just doing a really low calorie diet, but that sort of weight loss is subject to regains when you break the diet over a weekend out of town or whatever. I'd also like to have a diet that provides enough calories for me to do workouts to keep what muscle I do have (I'm not a total fatty) to help out the long-term fat loss.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

I've heard good stuff about the Volumetrics diet. Basically, eat foods that have fewer calories per unit volume and excercise more.

That seems like a pretty good diet, think imma see about getting the books just for the sake of having recipes for meals so I don't just wander through the grocery store durping around. I can /ck/ but most of what I've made have been my ultra-badass brownies and various other sweets, so having something else to make will be spiffy.

Thanks for that recc, makes a lot of sense.
