In a HIIT-related note, the shortest circle I find to run in is ~1mi. I jog about a quarter of the way, do HIIT for about half a mile (that's about how long it lasts, I just started), then jog the rest of the way. I stretch before and after, etc., but my question... does the jogging really affect HIIT in any way, or just serve as a kind of warm-up/cool-down?
