First off, protein is vital to building muscle. Think of protein (CHON from here on) as the building blocks. So what happens when you drop a ton of blocks next to a vacant lot? Sweet fuck all, that's what. You NEED energy to build this house. Your body uses carbohydrates as fuel first, then goes to the other macronutrients available in your diet, namely, fats and proteins. These are not efficient, nor enjoyed by the body, so it will deplete the carbs (CHO from here on) stored in your body as glycogen FIRST. Always. (unless you have some endocrine issues like diabetes, etc.)

So here is my point. Are you skinny? Are you trying to put on mass? Then you MUST eat CHO, and lots of it. It would actually serve you well to consider putting CHON on the back burner for a while, and focusing on CHO. Here is why. You live in a very modern and well fed society that consumes more CHON than you really need, even under high stress heavy exercise. I am not saying for one second to "forget about it", but if you eat a pice of meat along with your food, you are already ahead of 99% of the humans on earth currently, and in the past unrecorded history. Get my point? If you are a fat fuck, go ahead and drop SOME carbs from your diet. But to eliminate them is foolish, tiresome, inefficient and goes against what we were designed to do. learn2krebcycle.

OK. So here are your carbs. Eat the shit out of this stuff, and you are good to go.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal
Oatmeal
Yellow peas
Green peas
Garbanzo beans
Kidney beans
Squash
sweet potatoes and yams
whole grain breads

Eat the shit out of that stuff, have yourself some eggs for brekky, and fish/chicken/beef for lunch and dinner and go nuts.

Also, in respect to training. Don't burn yourself out. Advanced BB already really know their limitations and what they grow on. You don't. So don't push it. 2 times a week for the first 6 months is probably good, as long as you aren't sitting around, looking at titties and playing grab ass with your faggot buddy at the drinking fountain. Don't max out until you are in a very good place with your training and goals.

Get lots of sleep. You will be slowly dieing if you don't get a good night sleep. So just do it. Nap if you can't do a solid 7 hours+ at a time.
