/fit/, will I still be able to lose 2-3 lb a week if I raise up my calorie intake from 700ish to 1100ish? I want to take it slowly, but this is what I will start to eat:

breakfast:
cup of fiber one with skim milk (160 calories)
two waffles with syrup (200 calories)

lunch:
peanut butter and jelly sandwich (200 calories)
apple (60-80 calories)
carrots (30 calories)
6 oz of yogurt (60 calories)

dinner:
Usually cup of rice with vegetables and meat, sometimes something else (depending on what, 200-400 calories)

Comment too long. Clickhereto view the full text.

anyone? please?

That's way to low.
You are in danger of malnourishment.
Raise it to at least 1800.
A grown man needs 2500.

how tall are you and what is your weight?

cause srsly, if your not 2 foot high your need to up that calorie intake, seriously.

>>59689
Im not the OP but i can barely get 2500 in with out puking in a day.
>> Anonymous
... But I want to lose weight. Getting 1800 calories a day and doing my regular cardio will burn like .5 lb a week. I'd probably give up.
>> Anonymous
700 Calories seems extremely low. What was your metabolism when you started trying to lose weight? If you went too low under that you're starving your body and it lowers it's metabolism to survive. It wouldn't surprise me if you're working your body too hard. You should be eating mostly what you think your body needs, and then burning off more with exercise. And you should only lose one pound per week, anything more is unhealthy.
>> Anonymous
>>59696
2500 is only a rough estimate.
Really depends on your body size and your work.
A lumberjack will easily need 3000 for example.
If you're a skinny student browsing 4chan you'll need less.
>> Anonymous
you should be able to eat atleast 1600 daily I believe, and thats minimum still losing weight, google a calorie intake calculator, it'll ask for height and weight and make a rough estimate for maintainence and major to light weight loss
>> Anonymous
>>59697
Losing fat fast is not possible.
You just put your body in emergency mode and once you start to eat normal again it'll store every ounce of energy as fat.
Bounce-back.
It's smarter to go slow and steady.
What about cardio/weights? Can you still do sports with 700 cal? I can't believe that.
>> Anonymous
Losing weight too quickly is bad for your body, and if your thinking 5 pound a week weight loss is too few then you need to get the fuck out of this thread. 5 is over doing it, most people are very happy with 2
>> Anonymous
>>59703
For fucks sake, I'm asking if I'll be able to get 2-3lb a week with 1100 calories. You normally should, but as I stated, I'm raising it up from a metabolism that has been slowed down severely.
>>59702
2-3lb sounds like what most people say is the most you should lose in a week. True, I've lost 4-5 in a week, but I realize it's not safe. With 700 calories, I was working pretty well. I did cardio on my treadmill for 60-64 minutes a day. I have never played sports in my life, though. I was functioning pretty well, but it's not safe anyway. So, as I asked... When I raise up my calorie intake, will I still be able to lose 2-3 lb a week?

BMR calculators say I should be burning 1767, though it's much less now, obviously.

here

soz, didnt notice the . before your 5. Still, with sufficient cardio you should do fine with weight loss, try 2 lots of 45 min jogging, its a start.

OP, what is your age, weight, and gender for reference? I can't really even give an estimate without that information. However, with the given information I would say that you should see a dietitian and a therapist, because you're anorexic.
>> Anonymous
>>59713
I've already been to a nutritionist. She says I need 1500 calories, but we're taking it up slowly, to 1000 for now. I've decided myself to take it to 1100ish.
>> Anonymous
>>59713
nvm about the weight.... didn't read the entire post. But gender matters to the tune of 200-400 calories. If you are a teenage male in your teens, you should be taking in minimum 1500 to avoid malnutrition. If you want to get to 140 in three months, I'd go with 2000 calories a day, and HIIT (Google it) 3 days a week. Most important--be consistent, and make sure less than 25% of your calorie intake is from fat. You should be fine.
>> Anonymous
>>59720
Can't do HIIT... I get tired switching from 4mph to 7 mph in just a few minutes. Also, my treadmill makes too much noise, and I've been told that desks upstairs shake when I run.
>> Anonymous
>>59713
I still think the concept of fat anorexics is funny.
>> Anonymous
>>59726
Thats the whole point of HIIT--it'll tire you out fast, but it sends your metabolism into shock (thats a terrible wording, and not entirely accurate) and keeps you burning calories for much longer afterward. 10 minutes of HIIT once a week balanced in with the rest of your normal regimen would make a huge difference metabolically speaking. You will *have* to take in more calories for HIIT to be effective though. If you don't have calories to burn, the metabolism can't speed up.
>> Anonymous
>>59734
As far as I know, 7mph isn't sprinting.

>>59740
It obviously is for the OP. It's all relative.

I think you're underestimating the calorific values of waffles+syrup and pb&j. Unless of course you're having waffles+syrup without the waffles and pb&j without the bread.
>> Anonymous
>>59811
Nope.

two 40 calorie breads = 80
two table spoons of whipped peanut butter = 140 calories
one tablespoon of sugar free jelly = 10

I usually don't need the two table spoons of peanut butter, so it comes out to around 200.

the waffles, two of them are 170. syrup is like 30 calories.
>> Anonymous
>>59821
>syrup is like 30 calories.

>> Anonymous
>>59824
light syrups actually are something like that.
>> Anonymous
>>59831
I love how everyone thinks that just because something is "light", it must be good for you.

I seriously doubt in the long run it is. Stuff like that is packed full of shit that does worse things to you than sugar.

More to the point it's stupid, like those vegans who eat 'vegan burger patties'. If you make the sacrifice, don't be a bitch about it and use substitutes.
>> Anonymous
>>59844
Eh, I'm a vegetarian, and I eat veg patties when I go out to eat just because it's easy to get at burger places and I'm not weirding any of my friends out. But other than that, no.
>> Anonymous
>>59821

Since when was a slice of bread 40 calories? If that number's real than link me to the product.
>> Anonymous
>>59940
Nature's Own or something. It's in a white bag and it says 40 calories on it.

Anyway, OP here again. In the passed week, I have increased my calorie intake from 700 to 900 anyway, so I'd be adding another 200 soon, as I showed in the first post. However... I have stayed the same weight since last Monday, as well. So, I'm pretty disappointed and I get sad when I see no progress even after my exercising. Now, the question is, will I start losing weight again? And will something similar like this happen once again when I add another 200? I mean, I'm scared of even gaining weight, especially after not losing any for a week even with an hour of cardio.

>> Anonymous
Are you exercising regularly? And why're you having something like waffles with syrup for breakfast? Try something like eggs:p
>> Anonymous
two waffles have 170 calories with 6g of fiber and 8g of protein. worth it if you ask me. syrup is only 20 calories per serving, by the way.
>> Anonymous
1100 calories still seems a bit low to me and your food choices seem really unhealthy for someone trying to lose weight. Waffles with syrup? Like another anon said, try eggs. Or if you want something sweeter in place of your waffles, try unsweetened yogurt with fruit and a dash of honey. And a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at 200 calories lol. Get some actual whole wheat bread rather than whatever 40 calories of garbage bread you're eating now. Lettuce, ham, tomatoes and cheese make a delicious sandwich. Also, do you like fried egg sandwiches? Very yummy. Overall remember, low calories does not equal healthy. You'll lose a lot less weight eating 1200 calories (usually considered the absolute minimum of calories females should eat per day) of healthy foods than 1100 calories of processed, artificial crap you're trying to sustain yourself on now.
>> Anonymous
OP your calorie estimates have to be way off. the flour for two waffles alone is over 200 calories and regular syrup has 220calories ever quarter cup (seems off even if usin sugar free which is 15 caloreis a quarter cup.

the PB for Pb and J is 190 every 2 tbsp then the jam would be around 70 and then the bread ~ 170 depending on what kind of bread.

fat free yogurt has 110 calories (@ 6 oz)

a cup of rice and meat could be around 400 calories yes.

So I'm not saying your a liar, but what kind of stuff do you base your calorie intake on?.. nothing I see is that little of calories.
>> Anonymous
>>60931
the 40 calorie bread is wheat, has 5g of protein and fiber per two slices. I don't see how it's bad.

the waffles are pretty high in fiber and protein as well, if you read the post above yours. To be honest, I don't think anything I'm eating is bad, it's just not much food.
>> Anonymous
>>60937
damn it, read some of the posts in the thread. the peanut butter I get is whipped, and has 140 calories per two tablespoons. I use a little less than that, so I'd say it's 120 calories. By the way, I looked at the bar of the whipped peanut butter and the all natural, and the only difference is that it had 2g less protein. Anyway, I use a tablespoon of sugar free jelly, which is 10 calories. 80 + 120 + 10 = 210. Off by 10 calories, my bad.

As for the waffles, read this>>60886.
>> Anonymous
>>60937

I have a feeling that most of the low calorie estimates aren't that far off... the waffles are probably some pre-made eggo junk, and if the syrup was processed and altered enough, I believe it is possible to weedle it down to 20 calories per serving. The bread, if thin and nutritionless enough, could probably be 40 calories. But like I said earlier low calories is not synonymous to healthiness.

Your retarded if you only eat 700 calories.
Thats not sustainable or healthy.

Run, lift weights (DO IT FAGGOT), and eat 2000 calories a day. weight loss will come at about 2 pounds a week, and you will become more toned and muscular.
