Hey /fit/

do any of you have a rest day in your exercise cycle?

My routine atm is

day 1 - Intensive cardio

day 2 - 1/2 my strength

day 3 - intensive cardio

day 4 - 2/2 strength

and I repeat... today though I've done like 5 cycles in a row now and I feel like shit. Usually I fatigue/crash and am forced to take a day off.. but tonight I feel like REAL shit after my workout.. should I take tomorrow off as a rest day? or if I feel good when I wake up keep going with my routine?

you should either replace your cardio by a rest day or by light cardio.

your body needs at least one rest day a week to recouperate and get used to the force you are putting on it. that way, you get stronger safer, faster, and more effective. just remember to up your intensity every 2-3 weeks or so. that way your body won't "get bored" with the level intensity you've been doing and then being in a plateau.

Hey OP here, thanks for the answers.. I'll prob make my rest day saturday since all week I do school/work/working out... and I'll add a few mins of running every few weeks and raise my weight that i'm lifting too.
