How do I get big and strong? I am rather skinny as you can see. What progress can I expect to make within say the first 3 months of working out and can you give me any tips?

Join a gym, do starting strength or stronglifts or any of the other billion programs out there. Eat ALOT look up the exercises online. Give a a year or two and be patient. You might even meet someone there who would be willing to take you under his wing.

you can make a ton of progress in 3 months if you get dedicated. Im on my first month and i have gained 7 pounds of muscle. Skinny people really have it easy. You have such a low baseline to start off with you will see results very quickly.

Read that.

Get started on the starting strength program. Drink half a gallon - a gallon of milk a day on top of your 5-6 meals a day. You will put on weight quite fast. Once you get to your goal weight (you WILL gain some fat) Cut out the milk, keep training and eating like you were.

Stronglifts.com also has some great info on nutrition and exercising technique.

I'm not OP but I just now realized what an awesome way of gaining some extra kalories and proteins milk actually is. (Not to mention some essential vitamins). Having a hard time getting my needed 160grams of protein / day and drinking some milk will definately make a huge difference. (Mind you half a gallon of milk is roughly 60 gram proteins)
