/b/ I lost about 17 kg by being half good diet and half bulimia..

by this I mean, I started to eat better when I did eat, and drink only water, and when I ate bad I would throw it up... I know this is bad but it worked and Now I feel alot better about myself.

Anyway, I put back on some weight since I've stopped being bulimic and started doing weights, however I think its muscle as my stomach is almost flat and I can now notice my abs almost showing underneath my stomach.

My question to /fit/ is this.

I would like a flat stomach, and I've considered going half bulimic again... I know this sounds like a pathetic idea, however please try to see this from a 'do what the fuck you like, its your body' point of view.

Would /fit/ recommend letting the muscle in my abs fade and getting a flat stomach and then starting to build more muscle, or trying to lose the weight and make my stomach flat while the muscle is still there.

The reason I ask this seemingly ridiculous question is because I know that being bulimic will help me achieve a flat stomach, but sat the same time lose the muscle... but if i dont go bulimic and keep the muscle I doubt I can lose the fat to make my abs show.

YOU NEED TO GO TO A DOCTOR

you do not have bullimia nervosa, you are just purging to lose weight until you can get a flat stomach, its bad for your esophagus and teeth but if you dont care about that go right ahead, if you continue purging after every meal after 1month THEN you have a problem

Don't go bulemic, just keep training heavier and harder.

Try standing up straighter, makes stomach look much flatter.

seriously, bulimia is NOT the answer. It can become an addiction very quickly. You need to tell someone (doctor, pastor, teacher, friend, etc) about this now. They can be your support to move away from this.

As for achieving your desired results... while you will burn fat by lifting weights, it is most useful for building muscle. CARDIO will help you burn off the fat, and will allow your gains in muscle to show though. I recommend running, but swimming, tennis, etc. will work. Anything where you get your heart-rate up, and keep it there for at-least 20 mins.

Don't freak in terms of your diet. Eat a balanced diet. Lots of veggies. You also need protein (meat, soy, etc) for building muscles, and some carbs for cardio energy. Fruit can act as a healthy snack. Cut out refined sugars, like Soda. Drink water or unsweetened green tea instead.
** Remember also to treat yourself. Did you have a really good week w/ your diet & exercise. Then go ahead, have that piece of pie, you earned it. But remember to only have one, that way you can feel good about it.
