Anybody else here have stretch marks? I got them all over my biceps. Sure is great bulking up to a level where I'm not completely ashamed of my body and being rewarded with stretch marks. LOL.

Nope. Sucks to be you, though.

I'd be embarrassed to take my shirt off at this point and you can see them if I'm wearing a short sleeve T-Shirt. And I sure do hope they become less noticeable any time soon...

I have stretchmarks from being a fatass.
>> Anonymous
when they're red, they're fresh or it shows that you're getting too big, etc

when they turn white, you've either lost weight or your body has gotten used to it

I have some whites on the front of my stomach, it can be unnerving but what can you do, these things take time

:]

stretch marks are genetic. I got tons of the shit on my legs as a teen. I wasn't fat and didn't have massive legs or anything.

Over time it fades, and there are creams that will help (vitamin E, and other shit like that), but they just become a sort of silvery white and never go away.

There are some plastic surgery stuff they do with lasers or some shit, but I don't know much about that.

I have some old ones on my stomach from bring a fatass, but getting a mild tan and losing weight killed those. But I do have stretches on my arms like the op though.

Bumping this thread for relevance.

I have a LOT on my thighs, and on my hips also. That's because over the past couple of years I have gained a lot of weight due to stopping playing all my sports and becoming a lazy fuck.

I'm extremely self conscious of them - does anyone know any alternatives to get rid of them or make them less noticeable? They're all a silvery-white colour now, but I don't like showing skin and can't wear short skirts etc like my friends do.

i have them on the sides of my chest where the pecs, front delts and armpits meet. i also have them on my inner thighs. they've gone from red, to white, to kinda white and faded enough that they blend in with my tanned skin.

lotions with vitamin E i heard helps. tanning may also help as well as some laser therapy. keep in mind though that none of the above are guaranteed.

Tretinoin cream (a.k. Retin-A): Studies have shown that creams containing Retin-A may help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs): These plant-derived extracts (sometimes called fruit acids) enhance cell regeneration by removing the top layer of skin cells, allowing new, healthier cells to come to the surface, thereby improving skin color and texture and promoting better absorption of moisture. AHAs also claim to increase the skin’s flexibility, which helps stretch marks to disappear.

Endermologie: This method involves the use of a specialized machine developed in France. Using rollers and gentle suction, the endermologie machine deeply massages the stretch marked areas, with the objective of increasing circulation. It also gets rid of excess water and toxins in the connective tissue. This procedure usually requires a series of treatments to be effective, each lasting about half an hour. This procedure also helps with cellulite.

Laser Surgery: Although laser surgery won’t remove stretch marks, it will cause them to fade; however, it is most effective in the early stages of the development of stretch marks – or when the color is darkest, as the laser will only respond to dark colors. Laser removal will require a series of treatments for visible results.

Micro-Dermabrasion: Like AHAs, this method removes the outer layer of the skin, however micro-dermabrasion uses jets of zinc, aluminum oxide crystals, or a rough surface, to remove dead skin. A small vacuum attached to a wand is typically used to suction off the dead skin. This process is painless and does not require anesthetic.

JEEZUS skinny chicks should not take fertility drugs they turn into fucking hamsters, hope the poor girl got some of that to go away.

er... I have stretch marks on my shoulders, chest and stomach, but they're just those weird white lines thanks to lotion and time. I don't really show off those parts of my body anyway, but I figure if I ever start, people are familiar enough with the things not to make a big deal over it.

i've got them on my shoulders, sides of the chest (where the elbows touch the chest), back and stomach
i get them quite randomly even if i stay the same size (how the fuck is that possible?)

I have them on my thighs and breasts. But I am pretty sure mine are caused by rapid weight loss. I gained them when I lost about 25/30 pounds in three months. I hate them and I won't wear a regular bathing suit because of the ones on my thighs.
>> Anonymous
Long ones over my thighs, a few stripes on the muscles near the armpits, long and dark ones like some kind of tribal markings over my biceps, buttload around my waiste from being chubby as well.

In summation: My skin fucking sucks _bigtime_. I'm just glad that I'm dark and can quickly tan away most of them. Most of them are fading away already, anway.
>> Taka
I have stretch marks on my legs mostly because I'm built stocky. I have some on my stomach, too, but that's only because I put on a lot of weight in high school. Trying to get back to something normal now.
>> Anonymous
Biceps and legs. At one point I just grew way too fast when it came to muscle so I have a ton to worry about. Usually they stretch out or mostly go invisible when I'm at my fighting weight and fitness level.
>> Anonymous
Anyone who gains weight from either muscle or fat will develop stretch marks. Pro bodybuilders have them really bad, but they cover them up on stage.

If you're just starting to develop them, treat them daily with an intensive moisturizer or cocoa butter, or a cocoa butter based moisturizer. This will help reduce their appearance. They also sell specific products, but its basically just more expensive cocoa butter.

Once they've been fully developed for awhile, you can try to treat them with the cb, but you may want to try a scar reducer to lighten their appearance.

>Anyone who gains weight from either muscle or fat will develop stretch marks.

Wrong.
Anyone who gains or loses EXCESSIVE weight in a short period of time will develop stretch marks.
If you go about gaining or losing at a relatively constant rate you most likely wont develop them.
