I don't see why loving animals or using Japanese words in real life is that big of a deal. Well, the Japanese part is annoying if all she said were basic greetings and stuff...would be different if she actually studied Japanese and liked to practice it in conversation.
Anyway, the rest of what you described is pretty bad. I've known people like that and most anime fans really ARE like that. I'm an anime fan and I feel out of place among most other anime fans, as well as non anime fans, because I'm pretty different from both of them. I, too, can't stand messy people or people with no ambition, because I'm generally an optimistic, at times overly idealistic person, and lazy people generally just bring me down because they never want to do anything.
It's like this one guy I know from /a/. He's 21, lives with his parents, has no job, dropped out of a two year tech school, and is planning to spend what little money he has saved up on some kind of ridiculous vacation to Europe. He has no foresight or ambition and he ALWAYS bitches about not having a girlfriend. It's just plain annoying.
