Hello /fit/, I have a question.

I've been working out for about 2 years now and I have seen results that im pleased with, especially with my arms and chest, but My abdominals refuse to show themselves. I have no gut, its more like a flat skin wall with little to no definition. I have been doing Pilates for a long time and although I am significantly stronger it isnt coming through in the way I look. I thought it must be a thin layer of fat, but when I got sick and lost 20 pounds I still had no definition. I'm currently at 174 pounds and 5'11.5. Can /fit/ give me any advice?

TL;dr: Been training for years, no ab showing, im not fat. wtf?

Having a six-pack can mean your body fat is so low your abs stick out, or having abs that are big enough to be seen through the fat. Train your abs for hypertrophy (8-12 reps, 2-3 sets) and cut a little more fat off yourself. SOme people just naturally have stubborn abdominal fat.

Focus on cardio if you want your abs to show.
