So /fit/ is working out worth it?
Dont get me wrong, I've been lifting for a while now (more than a year, im still 17) and i have seen good results but i wonder if all the money that goes to the gym and more importantly my time spent there is worth it? I dont have aspirations to go some competitions, at least bodybuilding like types.
So i guess my question is smth like Should i be spending my time and money on developing my body just to let it weaken in a few years when I'll be too busy with work.

It's a lot easier to maintain than it is to build. So, once you get to a point where you feel satisfied with yourself it's just a matter of doing light workouts to keep what you already have.

OP's pic is like the book "Little Black Sambo" where the Tigers chased each other around and turned to butter and little black Sambo put the butter in a pail and brought it home to his mom so she could fry chicken.

I'm 29, just getting into lifting, overweight, with back problems that probably wouldn't exist if I'd had a strong and flexible posterior chain.

It's worth it. More than you could ever realize.
