I've finally figured out what this crap is. I've had it since middle school. It's called keratosis pilaris and I never realized it was as common as half the population. I'm sure a bunch of you have it too. There's a lot of information at www.bumpsonarms.com. I've had it on my arms and for some reason I was really insecure about it through high school even though it was probably only a big deal to me.

my gf would pop a few dozen every night until she got them all, its all gone now.

She really shouldn't do that. It could lead to scarring. And I'm pretty sure popping them doesn't get rid of it. She probably had something else. Usually the small ones aren't even poppable.

she popped mine, not her own (she doesn't have any), she used surgical tweezers to do it

I have some on my upper, outer arms and some on the inside of my right forearm.
Shit sucks, but it's common and harmless.

I have some on my dick :S

Exfoliation and moisturizing help a little. So does getting a tan. Otherwise, don't worry about what you can't change. Tell people it's where you got blasted by shotgun shells while drug busting in Columbia or something.

>>>At the moment, there is no cure for Keratosis Pilaris, nor is there a lot of research going towards one. There is, however, an e-petition you can sign in hopes that one day there will be a cure for this dreaded condition.

>>>It is a completely harmless skin condition.
Harmless and dreaded? Now I'm just confused
I have this, but only lightly anymore.

I used to have them when I was younger. I was a normal weight, but I noticed over time that there were a lot of over weight people that had them, too. Sunlight definitely helps, a tan definitely helps. Exfoliation might work for some, but for me it just got my arms all read for the rest of the day. Here's what I did:

Showered and right afterwards, put on Eucerin body repair (something like that, it comes in a white bottle with a blue cap) without even drying off. Then I layered that with Jergens skin smoothing moisturizer (the best stuff in the world) and let it sit. I did the Eucerin once every three days and did the Jergens twice a day, once in the morning when I woke up and once at night.

Some bumps are still there, but it's definitely manageable now. I ran out of eucerin a few days ago but I buy Jergens in bulk because its that amazing.
