How long does it take for acne scarring to fade, if at all? Like most, I'm way too poor for the scar removal procedure.

Pic semi related, only it's on my forehead.

forehead beards are extremely popular these days

Couple of weeks to a couple of months usually depending on how bad it is, bit of sunlight every day helps to fade them more (probably best not to spend more than an hour in direct sunlight even with sunscreen)

I'm not OP but I have pretty severe scarring and I don't think it will ever fade. My face is very bumpy and shows no real sign of improvement. The redness subsides a little all the time though.

I have an appointment with a dermatologist next month and I will be asking about scarring and the treatments available.

I'm told that shaving helps a lot because it removes the top layer of the skin and aids smoothing.

Shaving tends to give me facial scars.

Fuck I hate shaving.

Red marks aren't technically scars since they're temporary. They fade in a few months. Actual acne scars show up as pits and craters, which soften up slightly over time, but are only really removed through procedures such as laser resurfacing and dermabrasion.

I have really bad acne scars too, but what helps them fade is Bio-oil.
a few days of that and it aids discolouration.

Get some Mederma. Works pretty fast.

Mederma doesn't remove pitting scars, only raised scars, which aren't from acne
