What is /fit/'s BPM?What's a healthy BPM and how do I attain it?My resting BPM is 73. Just six months ago I started working out and have dropped most of my fat weight and gone from "Obese" to just a little bit overweight. I do HIIT three times a week and train in Muay Thai, as well as doing regular conditioning and weight lifting. If I continue this, will I see an improvement? Is one needed?
I always thought 73BPM was a 'sedentary' heart rate. Which is a bit unusual if you've been exercising for 6 months. But if you carry on, you should improve Anon.
my BPM is 54.I am considered overweight, so I guess it depends on how much you do a day.I lift weights 5 times a week and Jog 3 miles 4 times a week with HIIT the other 3 days.
Hijacking the thread a bit, but it's sort of relevant.Anyone have the URL to the javascript RPM counter? Basically, you tapped the spacebar in sync with your heart rhythm and it calculated your RPM in real time.
73 resting is not bad. The lower your resting heart rate, the better. It means your heart is more efficient with each pump. Some professional athletes have rates in the 50's and 40's
Mine is around 56 right now.I just had coffee, not sure how much it affects my pulse.
