What/where do you do your HIIT? Anonymous
On the track? On an elliptical? On the stationary bicycle? On something else?

Also, are any of these better or get less results than the others?

I split mine between on a track and out in random ass forest and farmer's fields (I leave in a hidden village of northern Canada for real).

It's better to be on your feet and actually moving yourself, as opposed to stationary bikes or treadmills.

Also, concrete hurts so avoid it.

True. Your whole body will be used as resistance rather than using your legs only.

I'll need to find a track near my town, i want to start running once i drop another 35-40lb (down to 200-195lb), only place round me is concrete afaik.

Even though treadmills have a computerized screen right in front of you to spoonfeed you your heartrate, breathing rate, perspiration, wall of dicks and etc, I prefer regular ass running outside. There's no guardrail to lean on, and it's just a little bit tougher.

I do HIIT with my girlfriend. The only minus is the scratches on my back and all the screaming and moaning.

I do it on a grassy track that has a lot of up and down inclines. Makes it a real bitch, but the gains are nice.

concrete is fine too if you've got good runnan shoes

Not for HIIT man, joint stress from the stop-start and circular motions will just tear away at your knees and ankles.

Concrete is fine for long distance running obviously, but I'd relocate any other training to grass or track.
