Body Fat % Anonymous
Hell /fit/izens. I've heard a lot of different opinions on what a health body fat percent is, and I've heard a lot about what mine actually is. Can anyone please clarify for me? I am 5'11, ~190 lbs, 34 inch waist
>> Anonymous
I'd estimate healthy at about 5-20%

For normal people?
6-22 for males.
12-32 for females

I'm aiming for something closer 10%. Is my waist size directly related to my fat?

This seems a bit flawed. That calculator doesn't ask how tall you are. So if I measured the same, but I was 4 inches taller, you'd think the percentage would go down, right? But it doesn't ask. :/

Measurements in INCHES faggot.

You're right, I'd think if you were taller than me your body fat would be less. I can't seem to find a calculator that requires your height though.

I'm not *fat* though at all. I have a bit of belly fat. I don't have lots of muscle true.

I'd say between 6 and 12 is optimal.
13 to 18 is average.
18 and up is getting fatter and it gets worse from there.
Anything under 6 is unhealthy to maintain for long periods of time... besides, your abs show at 6/12 anyway AND you don't feel weak because of the lack of energy stored in your body.

I'd say 10-15% is ideal, but up to 20% is average for men. Add a few more percent on figures those for women.

Buy a body fat monitor, Omron BF306 is pretty good.

I'm 6ft4 and at the start of summer I was 130kg with 36%BF, now I'm at 111kg and 25.5%BF. My goal is around 10%BF, so I've still got carry on with the cardio (HIIT) and lifting (SQUATZ)

Lurking /fit/ pays off.

anything over 15% is disgusting.
