I'm also about your size, 5'8-125. I weighed 119 this past winter and gained the five pounds from mainly doing compound exercises. Focus on squats, deadlifts, bench press, military press, etc. I was only going about 2 days a week, one day being upper body, the second being lower. My plan had me chaning my sets and reps each time. One day doing 5-5, then 4-10, and then 3-15. 5-5 is the best for the big compound workouts in my opinion, since heavier weight with fewer reps stimulates more tissue and equals more gains. At least from what I've learned.
