hey /fit/, i've been lifting weights for close to 6 months now.
I have always been very careful from the start about form and have only been using dumbbells to get an equal workout on both sides of my body but for the past 3 months I've noticed my left pectoral isn't developing like my right one. kinda like the guy in the pic.
for the last 3 months i've been working my left peck a lot harder too but with no improvement
Is there a reason for this or some sort of condition? I don't want to get any bigger until I sort this out

Pay attention to form. Muscular imbalances are one of the hardest things to spot, especially by yourself. Snag someone and ask them to monitor your technique, they should be able to spot right away what you are doing, ie tilting too much with your weak side, not going far enough down, etc.

I also find that dumbells let your body's natural tendencies take over, which is sometimes a good thing and a bad thing. I'd switch over to a barbell until you even out.

That change is unbelievable. I would never have thought that was the same person.

if you hadn't pointed it out, i would never have noticed that his pecs aren't equal -> nobody notices it on you

It happens a lot and for almost everyone to some degree. When I benchpressed, the right arm would lock up and took more power/concentration than the left one for pushing the weights up.

I used the press machine or the smith every two weeks and did one arm presses which helped

I was going to make a thread about the same thing just now. Only it's my right instead of my left.
