Hey fit.
Im 6'3'' 285lbs 19y.o.
I look a little overweight but definately NOT 285. The thing is I go to the gym atleast 3 times a week and jog for a good hour then do some basic lifting. I have been doing this same routine since feburary but I havent lost any weight. I do admit that I have a pretty shitty diet. I usually only eat a sub once a day on days that i work And even less on the days that im off. I know i need to eat healthier but dont know how to go about doing it. Any ideas?

How does it feel like eating the same boring shit every day when you could technically eat a shit ton of different things and get fit? Must be an exciting life.

fortunately my excitement from life doesnt come from eating. That doesnt change the fact that i would like to eat healthier. If i could just take supplements that provide the same nutritional value as a full meal i would.

Would i be able to just eat fruit for a meal? I really have no idea what is/isnt healthy when it comes to eating.

Eating the same shit every day is actually NOT healthy. An ideal diet includes a wide variety of healthy foods because it provides an adequate amount of all vitamins and minerals. It's not about basing your life around food, but there is no reason why you need to force yourself to eat the same foods every day. If you can eat all kinds of different foods and achieve the same goal, why would you restrict yourself? You don't need to have an eating disorder to be fit.

OP your problem is with your diet. Those subs you're eating aren't helping either.

your diet and fitness is very sporadic, making it hard to pinpoint what you're doing right/wrong. keep track of your calories and workouts. do the math and see your progress (or regress) black and white. a lot of restaurant foods have amazingly high calories. thankfully, you can go online and get the nutrition infos there. it helps a lot of people to keep a food journal.

cooking at home is the way to go if you want to lose weight. buy your own meats, breads, vegetables, etc. it's hard work. good luck
