When you do a deadlift, and have the weight at the top, can you drop it to the floor like in a power clean, or is lowering it to the ground part of the exercise?On the starting strength program if that matters
You dont drop it during SQUATZ, so dont do it
The rep isn't complete until you've lowered it slowly to the floor.Never drop a weight.
Dropping it is fairly fucking pointless. If you are in pain or something then yeah, but if you are dropping it simply to make your workout easier, kill yourself.
