Spasms Anonymous
hey /fit/, I have been bicycling more often lately and for the last week have been experiencing daily spasms. the first few days it was in the top of my left forearm, then I woke up with a severe calf cramp, and this morning I woke up with a spasm in the lower inner front of my left thigh.
they are not painful, but they are persistent. with the exception of the calf cramp(which luckily was mild and did not return) they are simply annoying because they last for a half hour to an hour. am I deficient in electrolytes or is there something else I may be missing?

possibly, when you said more often the leap in difference on intensity of you're exercising might have been too much for your body and it needs some time too adjust.

I wasn't sure, since I didn't think electrolytes are something that are hard to get enough of in your diet.. was somewhat worried I might be missing something else. The biking has been pleasant, enough to work up a sweat but I'm not overdoing it.. it's been enough in the summer heat though to cause noticeable toning though in only two weeks. can muscle fatigue/growth cause spasms?
