For the love of christnuts.

Weeaboos are always like "OOOH they eat [instant] ramen in Japan all the time! I see Nay-roo-toe eat it! Nobody in Japan are fat, so if I eat ramen all the time, I'll be skinny like super-kawaii Nihonjinron!!!!11!11!1!!11! ^_^"

Statistics time: the Japanese consume about 40-55 bowls or cups of instant ramen a year. Each bowl or cup is only about 2 Cups in kirchen terms. Eating it like Nay-roo-toe is sure to make you as fat as Mr. Creosote.

Fact/Cultural glossary time: Eating instant ramen more than twice a week is considered a sign of poverty. Not only in Japan, but here in the western world, too.

>Eating instant ramen more than twice a week is considered a sign of poverty.

Or a sign of being a college student.

Edit: Stat time numbers are per capita, with an average of 41 packets, I just found the source.

To the credit of OP, and as a message to anyone purchasing instant ramen: If you are going to eat instant ramen, at least have Nissin brand products. These are Top Ramen and Cup Ramen, or Cup Noodles. Instant Udon and anything Touyou Suisan (Maruchan) is terrible and even less healthy, with the extra sodium and such. If you have a sedimentary lifestyle, eat only about one packet a month and DTOP BEING A FAT FUCK AND GET SOME EXERCISE! It's not that hard, srsly.

What if you eat it and run 5k every other day?
Shit's good.

It would be worth it, really. except for the indigestion.

Or you can learn how to cook and make a real ramen dish, personalized and low in the bad stuff. Go for miso.

Oh hey,
Poor college kid here. When forced to eat some ramen because of my crippling poverty I like to put some egg in it for added protein.
-Boil water
-add noddles
-when cooked add package
-break one or two raw eggs into soup
-Stir alot of two or 3 minutes

Much more satisfying and still only a few cents a meal.

Hey college boy,

I know what it's like to be dirt poor, but there are still ways to get around and manage a good diet.

You're meal sounds fine, but I would personally skip the ramen...simple starchy food that doesn't do much for your body. Unless you metabolize your carbs quickly (i.e. you have low bodyfat as it is), then you should be fine.

What other sources of carbs do you have available?

Also, since you're in college, don't they have meal plans for you? Those should be relatively cheap as well, and I'm sure there would be plenty of healthy options.

OP here.

So uh... I didn't say anything about me eating Ramen, I guess I should have put pic not related.

Yeah, Norway is considered one of the wealthiest nations on the planet too, but they don't have any disposable income either, which is more important.
