Dry eye Anonymous
I spend every day about 14hours before the computer.
My eyes hurt are damn dry.

Not that i care anyways, since i won't need them anymore soon.

Do you have the same problems?

Yeah 14 hours at staring at a cancer screen does that to you.

OP > I've had "dry eye" ever since getting Lasik. I love the results of Lasik and it's worth the dry eyes but letting them stay dry will make your vision worse.... at first temporarily... and the later permanently if you do nothing about it.

I also have a computer-related job and can identify:

* Exercise your eyes. Leaving them at a fixed focal distance (your computer screen) for hours is REALLY bad. Make it a point to look "up" from your screen and allow your eyes to focus on something distant every 15-30 minutes at least before returning to your screen.

* Rest - every few hours go for a walk or somewhere else where you can either close your eyes or just look around.

* Lubricate - 1-3x/day put in some good clean preservative free lubrication drops. I'm not talking about chemicals like "clear eyes" but just naturally good stuff.

My favorite that I use regularly and it gives me great relief and comfort is:

GenTeal - Medium.

There is a "light" and a "heavy" also... the light seems to work for less time... and the heavy is actually an ointment/gel.

Hold your head back... put in 2-3 drops per eye... then close your eyes and let it "soak in" for at least a minute before returning to work.
