So, fitness people. I'm a fucking whale. Bad eating habits taught to me by my parents when I was little (my mom loooved lots of leftovers to eat constantly, and we didn't keep anything resembling fruit in the house anytime after I was 5) plus all of the videogames and such = I'm in terrible shape, way overweight. Basically, I'm pretty sure if my body were to gain sentience right now it would probably murder me from longstanding abuse.Recently, my girlfriend dumped me. I'm okay with this now. But once I stopped being emo over losing another one, I started thinking about how to go about finding a sane woman. Hard enough, I know. But I'm in the kind of shape where the moment I find one, she'll be immediately and irreversibly turned off by my potato-shaped bulk.To the ends of stopping this, I've started exercising, and have made plans to switch to diet pop/juice, and by some apples/bananas/carrots to keep around the house to promote healthy eating. What I've done so far is just go out walking (power-walking I guess?) for 30 to 45 minutes, then when I get home, just sorta start doing crunches and push-ups until I don't think I can anymore. This has made my ankles, shoulders, and abs sore. Which means I'm in bad enough shape that this is overdoing it? I guess? I really don't know. Google's been kind of vague. Also, with the summer months approaching I've been considering getting a bike, to add a bit of fun and transportation to the mix. But would going out and doing the same kind of time with a bike be similarly helpful as the walking, or eventually jogging? And what the hell am I supposed to be looking for in a bike? I'm pretty clueless, and google has, once again, proven not much worth. For reference, I'm 6'1" and about 310 pounds.(pic is me with no sleep, yes, it's fucked up, I know)
