Judge my diet /fit/:

I'm on a calorie deficit to lose weight, currently 208lbs (6'2)

Breakfast:Oatz, 2 eggs, banana: 430 calories
Lunch: grilled chicken, peas, pinto beans, slice of cheese: 370 calories
Dinner: vegetable soup, brown bread(soda bread): 330 calories
Supper: pink salmon: 250 calories

Total: ~1400 calories. I might add another piece of fruit to get it up to 1500 calories.

I've previously lost 1.5 to 2 pounds a week on this diet, but is it healthy? Please help me to improve my diet /fit/.

Banana is the worst fruit ever.
Why cheese? Cheese makes us sick. I'm also lactose intolerant so I'm biased.
Soda bread is one of the worst breads for you. Replace it or die a fat death.

Everything else sounds good.

ok fuck the soda bread that's gone. I'll get wheat bread or something.

Is one slice of low fat cheese bad? I thought I needed a little for dairy...

And bananas are bad? I need fruit bro, what's a good alternative?

The "food pyramid" says you need dairy when that's a whole lot of bullshit. They feed baby cows lots of dairy products to fatten them up and make them into deliciousness. Dairy leads to fat. Period. I guess some low fat cheese might be okay, but watch out for partially hydrated bullshit. Lots of people here like cottage cheese. Ricotta isn't that bad either I don't think(?)

Instead of bananas, go for apples, oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, apricots, plums, kiwis, berries (straw, rasp, black), cantaloupe, honey dew, etc.

You don't NEED dairy. You need calcium, protien, etc...

is retarded, although he might be right about the bread, bananas and cheese are good things. Bananas are fiber vitamins and potassium, cheese contains the good fats and cholesterol which you need some of too.

Calculate protein:carb:fat ratios of your meals and eat more because 14-1500 calories isn't enough even if you're trying to lose fat. Did you calculate your bmr?

Banana's are the fruits that contain the most starch and sugar, dumbshit

Thanks /fit/, this all helps.

According to http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ :
I have a BMR of 2152.04

dairy is actually some of the most nutritious sort of foods there is... if you have a hunger pang but dont feel like eating, drink a glass of full cream milk... it'll fill you up really good..

Ok, so what does it mean if my bmr is 650 calories higher than i'm eating? Am I fucking up my body by doing this or losing weight?

Nothing wrong with bananas morons

losing weight, calorie intake < calorie maintenance => loss of weight

Ok, well, if you're still losing weight I guess it works. You can try increasing activity and readjusting your calorie intake, for possibly even better results.

Yeah if i'm exercising every day thats another 500 calories I'll be burning on top of my bmr, so I should probably increase calories by the same amount on exercise days to keep the calorie deficit around 500-600, correct?

Anyway, I'm gonna go do some squatz, thanks /fit/
