Ok /fit/, looking for advice. Background first: I've been working out for about 2 years, got into it seriously near the end of high school. I went from 5'8" 170lbs, asthmatic and unable to bench 2/3 my body weight to 140lbs, running 5k's, benching over 200.

Then I started smoking.

Obviously that fucked my cardio, and since then I've been on and off with my workouts, not doing nearly as much cardio as I should have. I've managed to reach what I consider my target for muscle mass, give or take, but I've put on a few pounds of fat I don't want.

So, quitting smoking, trying to cut weight and not lose a shitload of muscle. I've been using NO Xplode on and off for awhile, is this something I should quit in order to cut weight? I've also been eating a high protein diet, with a protein shake containing 26 grams on off days, 52 on workout days. Should I cut this as well?

Should I keep taking NO Xplode+Protein shake if trying to cut fat and maintain muscle?

no xplode is a pump product, gives you a boost for workout but not much more.
If you want to cut you want to maintain your muscle, for that you'll have to eat enough protein.

Your plan looks solid so far. I'd like to reccomend a product called white flood as a replacement for NO xplode. I've tried both and the second one is cheaper and more effective for me over a whole cycle.

I've found that the most effective way to cut weight is morning cardio. Do it within an hour of waking up, and before you eat. Doesn't need to be intense, just a good 30 minutes. If you get tired, don't stop, just lower the intensity. That's important for fat loss. Your metabolism will kickstart the day right. Also it might serve as a mental motivator throughout the day. You won't want to counter that hard work you put in in the morning after all.

And for goodness sake don't even consider cutting that protein.

Buy some Arginine and partner it with some Vivarin or No-Doz and maybe some BCAAs. That's white trash NO-XPLODE for you.
