hey fit, i recently became a vegetarian in my attempt to discipline myself into controlling what i put into my body. i've also decided to start taking vitamins for overall health.

how do you guys feel about vitamins? what vitamins do you take?

pic related - i take centrum - although as a male, i hear it has way too much iron which can later in life lead to colon cancer.

Just 4g of fish oil every day.

Vitamins are bullshit. So is being a vegetarian. Have fun not getting enough protein. Even if you ate an entire package of tofu every day, that would only give you 40% of your daily protein.

My prediction: you eat a shit-ton of pasta and make your health situation worse.

Eat moar meat, pansy.

mmm, an entire package of tofu sounds delicious right now.

Getting the right amount of protein is easy as a vegetarian. Vegan, though, fuck that.

yeah cause being a vegetarian means eating tofu all the time and not getting enough protein. eggs and beans you fucker, eggs and beans.

this is a legit prediction - although if that's the case i'll just go back to eating meat. again, the only reason i did this was to drastically discipline myself into controlling what i eat - i'm not doing it because i don't like meat or i'm sad for the poor cows.

Then eat chicken and fish and give up red meat.

that's funny, i just found http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1022501
that states otherwise?

If you've given up meat because you think it's healthy, then your wrong.

Just eat chicken (grilled or baked), fish grilled, baked or raw.

You can have red meat, but limited and lean meat.

Also what does your workout program look like.

thanks, i may just start eating chicken and chicken only as far as meat goes.

as of right now i don't have a workout plan. i'm trying to get the hang of the healthy eating side of things first as in laying off sugars (especially EVERYTHING that has high fructose corn syrup), things with high fat content, etc.. i figure that's half the battle.

as far as a work out routine though i was thinking about just running and maybe doing pushups daily. i'm not really trying to bulk up or anything, i'd just like to get tone.

Hey guys, he's not really trying to bulk up. I mean, I know that I have that problem. Every now and then I do 3 or 4 pushups before bed, and by the time I've woken up in the morning I've gained 47 lbs of muscle and my chest exploded another 10 inches.
