First, lose the concept of weight loss. Your weight, by itself, tells you nothing about your health. One person at 5'5", 130 lb might be healthy, while another at 5'5", 130 lb might not; it comes down to your body fat%. You have to think fat loss, not weight loss. There are websites out there that can calculate your body fat%. Or you could invest in a skin fold caliper, you should be able to find them in most health stores.
For women, the recommended range of body fat is around 20%-25%, and essential body fat (the minimum amount of fat your body needs to function properly) ranges from 10%-15%.
