excuse me /fit/
I'm not a regular to this area but I need some help
my shoulder blade has been killing me for the last three years.
there is a specific spot on the shoulder blade area in which the muscle feels as hard as stone and the skin can with sharp objects without any feeling at all.
I've been to doctors and they havent given me much help, nor has massage therapy
The pain increases with my stress level I may add, but is constantly there either way.
The best relief is having something dig into the spot roughly, though this causes pain as well.
Its frustrating and unpleasant- does anyone have any answers for this?
Please help.

muscular atrophy and poor posture. the fix:

get a theraband (green) and hold it with your arms up front parallel to the ground with elbows almost locked. your hands shold be in front of your breasts and stretch the band uning your back muscles so that your arms move to your sides without locking/moving your elbows. do it 10 reps, 5 sets daily. then stretch your shoulders out daily.

hold your shoulders back when you walk or sit.

well, since i LOVE e-diagnosis

do what the above fellow said

its probably chronic posture issues. you are likely kyphotic (shoulders internally rotated, chin forward, neck curved forward) here are the key words for you

-FOAM ROLLING (SMR) with a LACROSSE ball or foam roller.
-work EXTERNAL rotation+do some rows
-get ART done (THIS WILL WORK)
-possibly VERY good chiro could help, as this may be referred pain.

what NOT to do
-bench
-what ever you've been doing the last 20 odd years. this will require a COMPELTE lifestyle change to adjust your shitty posture. an hr here or there cant fix shit if the other 23/7 you are making it worse.

i halp because i remember how frustrating and useless the medical community was with my problems, no one ever helped and i just felt scammed going between orthopedic surgeons, PTs, and massage...the solution? spend 5000 hours involved in sports med research and get a fucking degree in this stuff. because if you want it done right....
