just got done reading "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" and mr Venuto says that if he was overweigh and now knows what he does about weight loss he would do 30-45m of cardio 7 days a week until he was satisfied with his weight, then and only then would he drop down to 3 days of cardio for maintenance.

Is this ok to do? I've only been doing cardio every other day due to thinking that my body absolutely needed rest every day and I would possibly strain or hurt myself if I did 40m of intense cardio daily

If that is the case and I can do it every day, whats the best way to manage your HIIT schedule into 45 minutes?

I'm used to 20-25 minutes of cardio and random intervals of HIIT every 3 or so minutes, but doubling my time seems like I'll be dead by 25 minute mark
