I was just curious what all of your opinions on night-time eating are. I've done some research and heard many arguments for both sides. Some say do not eat at least 2 hours before you are going to sleep because it does not get digested properly and turns to fat while others say continue to eat because it keeps up your metabolism. It's late and I'm hungry and I don't have a real doctor to ask at this point so gimme the low down. IS IT OK TO EAT SOON BEFORE SLEEP?

I'm trying to fap to pictures of fat kids. Stop bothering me.

Eating right before sleeping will mean that more of the food will be converted into fat than if you ate earlier. But I, for one, don't like sleeping on an empty stomache.

Unless you have pictures of fat kids, I don't want another word out of you.

I wish I had more of this kid, he cracks me the fuck up.

Well then the real question is, are you fat or doing fine? Therefore, act accordingly.

Fat people will never lose weight.

I don't really go to this board, but I saw this thread from the main page.

I just ate a bowl of pasta, I do this every night.

Pic related: not a fatass.

Stop smoking crack and commenting on 4chan. Or at least stick to /b/ with all the rest of the crackheads.

Don't worry man, keep trying, you'll be of a normal size one day. I admire your fiery passion.

/b/ isn't full of crackheads. 14 year olds can't afford crack.

I usually eat a small meal before going to bed. Two boiled eggs, half a can of beans and some tabasco for taste.
My friend who works as a personal trainer said that it's smart to get some protein in the mix before going to bed, so long as you don't pig out completely.

Not OP, but would drinking a protein shake like an hour before bed help or hinder me?

If you eat carbs that late, then yes, it'll most likely turn into fat. But if you eat protein-rich foods, the protein is used to help repair any muscle damage you sustained during the day.

Best thing to eat before bed is low-fat cottage cheese. The casein protein found in dairy products is slow-digesting and provides a long-lasting protein source.

crack is actually very cheap, atleast where i live there are a bunch of kids doing it.

A shake's fine, but in this case, casein is better than regular whey protein since it digests slower and will keep working throughout the night.

Lights. Bright lights make you eat more. Don't know why or how, but something to do with us being finely tuned to the Sun. Artificial lighting fucks up the rhythm. Large hunger pangs will strike in a strongly lit room late into the night, make you devour hugeass calories, more than anyone ever wants.

And you will crave the worst kind, refined shit. Sugary shit. Again not sure how or why, but candies and cookies and shit and refined carbohydrates in general release energy super fastest.

I don't have any strong lights on at night. I wake up in sync with the sun rising. When's the last time you've seen the dawn rising sun? 10 years ago?

and i don't mean just in the eyes. study done on body shows skin cells can detect light anywhere even slightly. if you're interested i can post moar. that's why we wear pajamas. cover up everything exposed to artificial light, you'll sleep better, won't get as hungry. might take time to adjust
