*sigh* For a moment, sponge, I thought you were just a troll. However, now I realize that you're also a fucking idiot. If you know anything at all about statistics, you'll know that BMI is a relatively good measure for sampling populations. Most people don't tend to be on the extremes for being very well muscled or overly fat.
That being the case, BMI doesn't apply to 'outliers' outside the range of average fitness levels. Hence, it'll overestimate fat in athletic and fit people and underestimate it in the retardedly fat.
I'm 5'11" @ 214 lbs with a lean body mass of 192 lbs. That puts me at around 10.1% body fat and yet gives me a BMI of 29.8. A BMI of 30 or higher is defined as obese.
As you can see, it's useless for some, but a good indicator for the average, basically sedentary person.
