Hey /fit/, I have a squatting problem.

Whenever I go low, and squat properly (read: now all of the time, just got my form down), when I come up I seem to shift my weight slightly at the arse to my left leg and favour it, and my right leg moves inwards at the knee a little wobbly. When the weight gets really heavy, I'm going to hurt myself.

What is the best way to fix this: should I just force myself to stay centred, or is it a mismatch in the strength in my legs that I can fix?

(what's really weird, is that I'm right footed in everything, but I favour my left leg)

make sure you don't need orthotics on the right foot due to flat footedness, etc. a qualified chiropractor or osteopath can help you with that.

if not flat feet, then you likely have a weak-ass right leg. Do bulgarian split squats, regular split squats, and step-ups starting with the right leg and matching the same number of reps with the left.

work also on the muscles on the side of your hip. do these with the muscles on the right side before you do your single leg work. 4 sets of 5? something with low reps, but lots of practice. you don't want to exhaust the muscle, you just want to wake it up.
