>>158892 lol i did the same, but obviously didn't do it (i was ineligible, eye problems) but you'd be surprised. basic and tech school really helps out your running. it's those pussies that go "ow i have a cramp" or "it hurts" and quit that fail. I never gave up, cept that time i hurt my shoulder. but another story.
>>158904 >>158918 lol no! rank goes by time in the air force for the first 4 and then a competitive test is added for the rest. If you have college credits, or sign up for six years (if the option is still there) you can go in as an E-3 (A1C, PFC) >>158969 No, I'm a fatty, but I lift a lot, 62 in one minute is what is needed for max points for the annual physical fitness test. I can do them in less. I usually have time to kill when I finish also.
OK to answer your question OP. just lift if you want the award. I didn't have warhawk 5 years ago when I went in (still in). We had honor grad. which also means don't fuck up! and you're personally selected by your MTI (drill sergeant). my max was 184. I was around 185-200. I made it to 183. I tried running once. didn't work. I drank a 40 oz soda for lunch every day before i went to work. I didn't have an appetite either. the weight just left me. just watch what you eat. when you get close to your MEPS date, you can just not eat dinner for a few days. I lost two pounds at my overnight in the hotel prior to meps by skipping dinner. eat salad if you want. no candy shit. after you enlist, I don't remember if you have to maintain the weight for when you start basic (you will have to go back to MEPS). that's how i did it. I'm still in. I'm 225 now. I do weights a lot. If it wasn't for my shit legs I could run a 12 minute 1.5 (slow, but passing). sit ups and crunches I can max (62 and 55 in 1 minute) with a 40 inch waist
