My father and brother are both normal sized. They have healthy appetites, put on weight easily, etc...

But me. I'm very scrawny, never can get down enough food to get big, etc... I was semi-active as a kid. I skated surfed and body boarded. Same as my bother. Hes 3 years younger and 20 lbs heavier, same height. I lift weights and so does he. He does a shitload less weight, and for less time, and puts on weight no problem. I squat 185 for 8 reps,. he does 135. his legs are bigger, and he gains mass no problem. I havent gained a pound in 2 years.

Why would I be like this if they are not?

Scrawny chicks are hot.

Scrawny dudes who squat 185 while their brothers do 135 and still have bigger legs are subject to a different allotment and distribution of type IIa and IIb muscle fibers, i.e. those that get big without necessarily getting strong vs those that get strong without necessarily getting big.

You need to alter your workout and eating habits. Whether you choose to make the most of the IIa fibers you have, or go in the direction of powerlifting, is up to you.

Just make sure what food you do eat, is mostly protein. Try whey drinks and eat more lean meat.
