seasonal affective disorder? or just indoors too often. Anonymous
Hey weeabro's, let's think about our health.

http://www.amazon.com/NatureBright-SunTouch-Plus-Light-Therapy/dp/B000W8Y7FY/ref=pd_sim_hpc_1

This is pretty much what I decided I will buy.

I'm beginning to think that anyone who sits in front of a computer all day needs one of these next to their computers, glaring in their eyes. You know that fleeting feeling of depression you get when you walk into a dark room? I want to treat that.

Anyone know any better ideas? Or have any related suggestions?

How about walk the fuck outside instead of wasting your money

Well, about that. "walk the fuck outside". I am on an odd schedule where I'm only awake at night, I go on walks but that doesn't do much for me besides keep my legs and my heart strong. I need light.

Also, I think this is a legitimate health problem - people get tricked by their monitor light into thinking it's day and it fucks with their circadian rhythm.

I guess I'll just buy that thing I'm interested. And I recommend that anyone else on a fucked up schedule consider doing so as well.

Thats the thing, I also work nights and sleep during the day. It's kind of a mindfuck, but I'll go and sleep for 20 minutes to 40 mins out in the sun (I don't burn), then sleep in the shade for a while. I suppose you can try, but if you're dead set on getting that machine then go for it.

I'll ask /r9k/ about this sometime. They wouldn't see fake sunlight as unconventional. And by that I mean, they're basement dwelling morons, they'd think this was normal.

i go to sleep at like 2-3 AM and get up at 12, would like to fix my sleep schedule by a few hours but I doubt this would do the trick

sounds too good to be true

>people get tricked by their monitor light into thinking it's day and it fucks with their circadian rhythm.

Then turn it off. SAD is mostly bullshit, and when it does happen it happens to people who move from like, California to Calgary, and even then they adapt. If you were really worried about your sleeping schedule, you'd try and sleep instead of try and make night into day with some new age bullshit.

Yeah, it probably won't work

...very well. I've just been thinking about how to change my fucked up sleeping ways for a long time, and these strange machines have always been on my mind. One last thing to try and fail with, then.

The point of this is to keep you awake.

>I'm beginning to think that anyone who sits in front of a computer all day needs one of these next to their computers, glaring in their eyes

What the fuck do you think this is going to do? Sure as hell won't put you to sleep.

Well, I was talking about people who want sunlight, but don't want to leave their computers. I was talking about getting fake sun while you can and sleeping later.

But looking at all the reviews, they seem kind of hokey and faked. If all this is gonna give me is the placebo affect they could at least make it cheaper. Goddamn.

Geez.

>don't want to leave their computers.

Sounds like they need therapy.

Yeah, because it's well-known that therapy fixes everything and leaves you as the person you always wanted to be. :|
