Accutane and Needles Anonymous
I have been recommended accutane, but I refused and went on Tetracycline instead as I have a crippling fear of needles. Is it possible to take accutane without regular blood tests?
>> Anonymous
no, get over your fear or live with acne forever

I guess you didn't read the word crippling. I will literally faint at the sight of a needle, that should give you some perspective.

I assume you're in the US, in which case you cannot legally take accutane without getting blood tests monthly.

And, coming from someone who's taken accutane in the past, let me say DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT take that shit.

I'm not going to explain in depth but I can tell you that accutane is a fucked up drug.

Can you drink when accutane?
>> Anonymous
OK, first, it's not that bad, there's a chance of some psychological side effects, which I was worried about myself, but it's a small chance and I didn't get it. Secondly, I only had to take a blood test (to my memory) once before taking it, and then maybe once a month after, not EVERY month like was mentioned here.

And it does work. I did the same thing you did and tried EVERYthing else pretty much before I took the plunge, but it does its job VERY well.

It is highly recommended that you don't, it could cause serious damage to your liver, or so my doctor said.

I am currently taking it, but a low dose (20mg daily). I have to get a blood test every month, but thats not too bad. As for side effects, my lips have been dry. Thats it. My skin is getting really clear now. I did a bunch of different -cyclines and ointments before they put me on accutane, but accutane is the only one that has given significant results.

God fucking damnit, I want to take accutane, but (1) I can't stand needles, and (2) I will be living in the dorms next semester and need to drink.
>> Anonymous
yeah im on accutane right now taking 80mg a day (40mg x 2) and guess what my horrific side effects are:

1. chapped lips

holy shit id much rather have my disgusting red cystic acne back.

the only bad blood test i had was when i was dehydrated and they had to stick my FOUR FUCKING TIMES to get enough blood. that was super gay. also the time i got a hematoma because they stabbed through my vein/artery.

but accutane does work and no antibiotics ever worked for me.

so to overcome your fear of needles I would suggest you stop

1. being a faggot

oh you "freaked the fuck out"? thats so sad I feel really bad for you. i hate needles and spiders and heights but imagine its the cure for AIDS theyre trying to inject you with.

You don't fucking understand, it's just a mental block.

The thought of needles now has got be nauseous and feeling like I am beginning to pass out.

I can honestly say I would rather do fucking anything short of death than be pricked by a fucking needle, it really is that big a deal for me.

Why? The wound it causes it superficial at best, the sting is a kiss compared to anything that hurts for real.

Sit down, relax your arm, lean head back and watch the roof. done.

I only had to take a blood test once while on accutane for 6 months. I live in Canada though. Best drug you will ever take though, seriously, it's pretty much impossible for not to work effectively. All the liver damage bullshit is extremely exaggerated.

if you pass out then they can stab you with a needle when your passed out, right? i don't see the problem...

I don't care about the wound, I have an irrational phobia.

>>143682
If that was the case I would definitely get on accutane, but the thought of constantly living in fear of my next blood test is not worth it.

Fucking bullshit American laws.

I'm going to take muscle relaxers, I googled it and apparently it's common practice.
