Hey /fit/
3 weeks ago I started a weights training program. Earlier today when I was putting my shirt on I noticed random pain on my shoulder, upon closer inspection it looks like I was scratched but there's nothing that could have scratched me. I was speaking to a friend who also lifts and he said he got the same thing a few days back. So I come to you asking just what in the hell is going on here? Also it's damned hard to get a pic of your own back >:C

Pic related.

Can't tell if it's broken but it's stinging like hell, so I guess it is. Only noticed pain as I pulled shirt on so I guess that's when it happened, pretty fast.

As for shoulder pregnant, I don't think so.

Stretchmarks occur even with BB's. Seen quite a few people who get stretch marks after large gains over short period of time. I don't think any pain is associated with stretch marks and i have never seen them on the back of the shoulder.

You could have just got bitten by a bug and it has swollen up a bit.

Hum, thanks. Off I go to google to try and find more on this. I thought the fact that my friend got it too and that other guy in the thread would rule out a bugbite, not to mention I'm in Ireland, we're not exactly known for our large man-eating insects.

retard, it clearly looks like compression stretch marks caused by bench pressing without adequate padding

OP here, I don't have a bench, not to mention it's not swollen at all and it looks nothing like any insect bite I've ever had before.
I'm still stumped, the googles, they do nothing.

Yeah its compression marks or burns (like a carpet burn)

I get these compression marks, as well, but what causes them and what will stop them?! Can they be harmfull?

You say not enough padding, but what padding would i need to bench?

You got that MRSA shit, yo.

if you go to a public gym it might be an infection (ringworm persay)

I used to get these as a newbie too, due to lateral pull-downs. Machine faggotry. Either way, I liked them, but they're gone now so w/e. Keep it up and they'll leave.

Ah thanks, I wasn't sure what in the hell was going on, though it sounds like its nothing too out of the ordinary so continue I shall ;D
