Greetings again /fit/.

Basically, i want to eventually build myself up to look like this. 2 questions though -

1. Does this look "overbuilt" and unattractive?
2. What kinda weight do you think he is? and height? Im currently around 144 bs and 5`11"

Christian Bale is 6'1", according to IMDB. I'd place his weight around 175-185 there. Bodyfat most certainly below 10&.

As for the image, Bale goes through alot to physically appear like his characters. The Machinist comes to mind. And Bateman was a narcissistic psychopath, but a damned fine looking and socially successful narcissistic psychopath. Read into that what you will.

That's so far from overbuilt it's fucking hilarious.

Christian Bale is 6' tall. I'd say well under 200 (170s?) with single-digit bodyfat. You can achieve this with effort and time.

Genuinely looks overbuilt to me.

surgery is used to remove fat and anything else ugly.
lipo is not just for whales.
and thats just the tip of the iceberg.
celebrities dont just lounge around all day to make that big money, they use every available tool

His BF% can't have been far above 6-7 in American Psycho. His muscles aren't huge by any means; there's just no fat on them, so definition is crazy.

Bale is 6' to 6'1" or so. I'm not sure what he did for American Psyco, but I know he gained 100 lb for Batman Begins in six weeks, mostly being muscle. He had gone down to 130 for The Machinist, so I'm guessing he got to around 230 lb. But, they found out that he had over trained, so he had to lose some muscle mass before filming.

This is physically impossible.

Six weeks?

Wrong, pretty sure that is impossible for the human body to accomplish.
What did happen is he went up to a normal weight after losing it for the Machinist, and then when picked for Batman he gained even more- then had to lose more because he gained too much.

If homeboy put on 100 pounds in 6 weeks he'd be full of stretchmarks. People have a hard time believing Anthony Ellis put on 32 pounds in 12 weeks, even though he has before/after pictures with the newspaper to prove it.

Even with millions of dollars, 80 (Assuming here, you said 100lbs of mostly muscle) pounds of muscle doesn't just come like that.

Six months, not weeks

I don't think a-list actors like this really need a side job. I'd figure Bale would pretty much have all the time and money to afford the very best personal trainers and exercise equipment to get the physique for a role before filming starts.

Yeah, he gained the 100 lb in five-six months. Thats still a huge ass amount.

Slightly above the page thing.

Well, "unattractive" is subjective, but most people would agree that he's pretty perfect.

The key is balance. Go to the gym and look at the people who have flour bags for biceps and ginormous pecs, but tree branch legs and use it for motivation.
