Well /fit/, I didn't think it actually happened in real life until I saw it for myself.

I saw an Asian man approach the squat rack. He was a little on the older side, but I didn't pay much attention to him and continued doing my exercises. I looked back a minute later after a set and he had a grand total of five pounds on either side of the bar. Well he's old, I reasoned, doesn't want to break a hip or anything.

He takes the bar and curls it for three sets. It couldn't have been more than 30 pounds. I didn't know what to believe. I still don't. Hold me /fit/

You know those FFFFFF comics we have here every so often? I witnessed one at the gym the other day. A group of pretty big looking dudes come into the gym, rack on all the 45 lb plates they can find onto the leg press machine, and fucking push it a total of about 5 inches each. Afterwards, they left, feeling good about themselves.

At the gym I go to there are 4 smith racks (which I have quit using) and 4 free weight squat racks. Since this is a campus gym that is already payed for in tuition, it becomes crowded when people randomly decide to try and get in shape. It is frustrating enough to have to wait for someone to finish using a piece of equipment when they're taking forever, but to have someone hog a machine that is designed for a workout that they are not doing is icing on the cake. I rank it up there with people that bring free weights with them to machines so that they can do their whole workout at once and hog a machine, and a few sets of free weights, for an hour.

squatting with even just bodyweight is better then not doing it at all...as for the curls when ur older and u don't have testosterone like you use to your bones are weaker then they use to be maybe you don't feel like curling 100+ lbs so whats wrong with 55 instead of nothing?
