Honey Anonymous
Honey in nighttime snack, good or bad?

I just had cottage cheese + about 1 teaspoon of honey as nighttime snack. I use about 2 teaspoons of honey daily, mainly at night. Should I change this since it's basically sugar or is it the kind of carb I'm allowed at night?

Thank you, /fit/.

depends on the goal. you'll need more honey than that to gain weight. otherwise stop eathing anything besides protein before you sleep or to lose weight dont eat anything withing 2 hours of sleeping

its not ideal to have carbs before bed but 1 teaspoon of honey is fine. Honey has a lower gi index score than other sugars

Man... Keep in mind that like 99% of /fit/'s visitors are either fatties, transgenders or trolls, so think twice before you ask someone for allowance.

Thank you.

Bonus question: is there anything bad if you go to bed with your stomach full? I also filled my stomach with honeydew melon until I got satisfied (about 2 big slices). Will it make any difference when trying to lose weight? Melon is not very caloric but I'm just afraid of my 100% full stomach before going to sleep.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you don't sleep as well on a full stomach. Stick with the general rule of thumb of not eating 2 hrs. before bed (as I finish eating some leftover rice and a ginger ale.)

What? How is this possible? Moar.

its true. Your brain alone depletes the majority of your liver glycogen to run REM cycles. On top of that, your body is rebuilding and recovering from the days strains
