Damn, I feel so inadequate compared to you guys. I'm losing weight through lots of cardio and I'm also doing resistance training. But I can't lift heavy at all. Today I did:

3 x 8 bench presses - 15 lbs
3 x 8 flys - 11 lbs
2 x 10 incline bench presses - 11 lbs
2 x 8 shoulder presses - 11 lbs
2 x 10 upright rows - 11 lbs
2 x 10 triceps extensions - 11lbs

That's really pathetic, isn't it? I feel like giving this shit up and just going for cardio. Yes, I drink protein powder, eat tuna, eggs, etc. I increase the amount of weight when I reach I reach 16 reps and I try for 3 sets but sometimes I don't have the strength. I do upper body twice a week (different muscles) and lower body once a week.

The question is: is it worth continuing?

you should be trading in fat for muscle

you do know that almost all bench bars are 45lbs

I used to struggle with 3lbs dumbbells (lol seriously) now 30lbs curls incredibly easy for me
