your body will be fine for 15-20mins
but i don't know about HIIT in the morning before breakfast--you need to warm up before doing HIIT
i jog to the local jr high school for their track (about .7mi), do HIIT, then jog back for cooldown
i suspect if you do HIIT first thing in the morning, you won't have the energy to do it all
