Let me give everyone here a tip: if you're burning three thousand calories an hour and you have five pounds of fat, you should be able to do cardio for about three hours before burning muscle. The transition you are thinking of is the transition from energy that muscles always keep on them, to the energy stored in fat. Seriously, most people can't take the transition to fat energy, don't worry about thinking you're burning muscle unless you live in Ethiopia.
