fish?

if you don't eat eggs you're likely not to eat fish either, which means you are fucked. I suggest to at least start taking eggs and fish. Protein in vegetables are terrible compared to meat.

Man up and eat fish or eggs. Chicken never hurt anyone, either.

Beans. Basically, stuff like soy beans, kidney beans, lentils has tons of protein. You can stock up on dried beans/splitpeas and cook a whole bucket of them to eat over several days.

Also, whole wheat versions of food have their protein intact, like whole wheat bread and brown rice.

Vegitarianism in my opinion just blows. I was a vegitarian as a kid because my parents were and its all that was available. No fat or real protien, I was ALWAYS HUNGRY, especially during the teen years. I was always snacking, and it was always on sugar. I was fat, like 6' tall 230, I came to college, and dropped 75lbs in 4 months (was going to the gym and watching my diet as on purpose). seriously, no longer being vegitarian is the greatest thing on earth.

Eggs, dude.

I'm a vegetarian, and I don't eat fish (I think it's kind of a double standard to pick and choose what animals you want to eat) but I still eat eggs. If you're doing it for ethical reasons, try to find eggs from free range chickens. They're a little more expensive, but they're probably healthier anyway and you'll be able to sleep at night.

But, also, what>>116308said. Beans are clutch.

Also, what>>116302said. Fuck that ICanHasCheezburger shit. http://horseface.org/caturday/

had some good recommendations, also almost all nuts, peanuts, almonds, etc.

Buy some whey protein if you just wanna get it over with.

Stop whining about the taste, a pound of cottage cheese contains more protein than a pound of chicken, beef, pork or fish. It can go with practically any meal as well and contains little to no harmful fats

OP and others: learn to make seitan. There are a bunch of recipes out there. In addition to being a fuckton cheaper than buying it pre-made, it's easy, you can customize it as you please, it's tasty, you can do plenty with it, and it's uber-healthy.

That's funny. I was omnivorous before college, then went vegetarian and lost a crap ton of fat. You must have been eating a shitty vegetarian diet.

It's not vegetarianism that blows, it's your parents. Adults can get away with eating little fat, because they're not doing crazy things like growing. Seriously, all your parents needed to do was give you more food and you would have been fine.

OP: If you're looking to build muscle, there are many vegetarian protein powders out there. Might just wanna pick one up. Other wise,>>116308.
