The fat that wouldn't leave... Mr. LTE
First of all, let me apologize for posting my fat nasty picture on here, I'm aware I'm disgusting and gross.

For the past 2 1/2 years I have worked out, going from 409 pounds to my current 198. I work out 4 days a week at the gym, alternating upper and lower body workouts, I do not drink soda, nor do I consume high fructose corn syrup, etc. I eat high protein foods and even on rest days, jog/walk a minimum of 4 miles (Not exaggerating). As far as health goes, I've never felt better in my life as far as my ability to run, jump, and perform physical acts goes - But as you can see, I'm still covered in disgusting body fat. My family and friends are of no help as they say I'm "Too skinny" or "Look sick" (My family is obese) I even quit drinking diet soda for crissakes. I'm not starving myself by any means, I eat at least 2000 calories a day. With 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight being considered in meals throughout the day. I'm not stupid and asking you for a quick fix to get rid of my fat because I'm too lazy to figure it out myself - I'm asking for advice because I'm working my hardest and still retaining excess body fat, it sucks. I refuse to take a fat burner and I pray I don't need surgery or something...

/fit/, help. I seriously am at a loss here.

Do not feed the trolls.

Because OP is a fatty and doesn't need feeding. Honest.
>> Anonymous
Cut out carbs.
>> Jd
Build your muscle up, and keep that layer of fat there. Once you reach where your happy muscle mass wise, just cut in for a while by doing seriously high amounts of cardio, and im not talking bout walking or DDR here.
>> Mr. LTE
>>46995

What the fuck are you on about? No ones trolling anybody here. I'm asking for fucking advice and you're pulling your adolescent "don't feed the trolls" bullshit. Kill yourself.
>> Mr. LTE
>>46998

I've heard this before too, but you have to understand how fucking demoralizing it is to have worked so hard and still be ashamed of myself when I look in the mirror.

>>46996

The body needs carbs. I just eat the right kind and use them for energy, you know - Like you're supposed to.

>>46998

Okay back to you, so you're saying just gain mass like crazy and worry about cutting fat later?
>> Anonymous
>>46999

What the fuck are you on about? You clearly have low body fat, I can see your rib cage, so why are you crying about praying you don't need surgery unless you have an eating disorder..and then 4chan aint your best bet.
>> Miss/fit/ !CX5ZjxjyRA
409?! WHERE ARE THE BEFORE PICS? That's amazing!

>>47006
You went from 409 pounds to 198 and you're ASHAMED?

You look fine, so quit being so stupid.

Also start some HIIT.
>> Anonymous
I've seen you a few times here before and I want to first say good fucking job man, that is some amazing stuff and you really are an inspiration. Right now it seems you're working out a lot, trying to put on muscle mass so it's natural you won't be losing fat. You're probably at a stage where you'll need to focus on cutting in order to lose fat. My suggestion to you is to focus on one or the other, much like how bodybuilders do. If your main concern is to cut fat, go easy on the weights and do more cardio, especially HIIT and watch your diet (which I'm sure you do already). If you want to build muscle mass then starts eating MORE and focus on working out, doing cardio maybe once a week (keep it intense) and alternate between the 2 phases as you see fit. At your stage it looks like you could do some bulking so eat some more, work out then start cutting when summer starts.

>>47014
Oh, and from your picture it looks like it's not all loose fat, but a lot of loose skin from your weight loss. Building some muscle will help tighten it up, but won't solve it completely.
>> Mr. LTE
>>47014

Thats a damn good answer, and thank you for the compliments. I appreciate it anon. I had a feeling, I guess I just wanted some other opinions to kind of play around with.

dear OP

well done on losing all the weight.
I think you should focus on putting on muscle right now, rather than losing all the fat. Use it to your advantage. and in a few months after SERIOUS muscle gaining... the fat will literally fly off of you.

Why lose all the weight just so you look really skinny? you might as well put on some muscle so when you do lose the fat, and you WILL lose it... there will be something to look at.

good luck

If it makes you feel any better, OP, I'm an in-shape female and I'd hit it hard. You're hot as-is.

That's very impressive so far.
Could you give an example of what you eat on a typical day and what kinda exercise you're doing?
>> Beaver !D8rQiV7xz.
Yo man, I saw you on 7chan's /fit/ board, and I have to say you do look better.

newsflash:

you are pinching loose skin in the pic. to fix it you need surgery.
>> Anonymous
>>47037
That looks like about 260lbs to me, but congratulations on your weight loss.
>> Anonymous
>>47054

Seconded. That's just excess skin from when you were obese.
>> Anonymous
>>47037
Holy shit.

I salute you, anon.

How tall are you?
>> Anonymous
Work the fuck out. Build up muscle, I'm talking 20-30 pounds. Of course this'll also mean putting on an additional 20 pounds or so of fat, but you need to be bulking right now, not cutting.
>> Anonymous
>>47098
Agreed, put on muscle to fill out the semi-loose skin (which looks pretty good for 409 lbs), not trying to continuously slim down.
>> Anonymous
THAT AIN'T FAT, BOY! THAT BE SOME FIIIIINE SKIN.

just wait it out for a year and you'll tighten up. nothing to worry about. all that skin is proof you're more driven than every other fatty out there.
>> Anonymous
well done, you deserve a pat on the back

I'm glad for this thread. I recently lost a ton of weight as well, but it still sometimes bothers the fuck out me to see a healthy, well-defined body with the exception of a saggy midsection. I didn't know if it was still fat, and i'd push myself to lose even more weight. Then i wasn't sure if it was just loose skin, and then i'd get upset and wonder what i could do about it. I should just be glad to finally be in a shape that doesn't resemble a bag filled with soggy oatmeal, but it's just a little disheartening.

OP, like everyone else i congratulate you. Being in the same position, i can just say to enjoy how far you've come and keep up with it! Either your body will settle into it's new form and the skin will tighten up, you'll fill it out with muscle or it'll stay the same; regardless, be proud and enjoy your new body.

looks like youre sporting some excess skin there champ. i was in the same boat, had surgery. the moob area is gonna have to be removed by surgery, even if you build up your pecs it's going to be noticeable.

same for the stomach/lower back area. you could probably build up some muscle to help you out there, but it will still be there.

i went from 295 to 170, and honestly i had more excess skin than you, so count yourself blessed.

What you seriously need to do is hit the weights. And hit them hard. If you are truly serious about loosing that last bit of fat weight that you want to loose you are going to have to add some quality mass(muscle). I'm not saying you have to become a professional body builder or anything like that. But you should lift some serious weights. Include SQUATS, DEAD LIFTS, AND BENCH PRESS. Remember Muscles burn alot of calories throughout the day. So the more muscles you have the more calories you will burn every day. Hope this helped, good luck.

Fat? When you can't see your abs, now that's fat.

Personally, I went from 350 to 210 pounds myself and I also have trouble with loose skin, including the dreaded "bat wings" and quite a bit of loose skin around my abs.

I have heard that a weekly 30 minute bath with red wine vinegar and epsom salt helps to tighten skin.

Never tried it myself, but it can't hurt. Worse that could happen is you smell weird for an hour.
>> The Dark One !UYklPQPVhw
Also, OP's pic is a great inspiration for me. I used to look like he used to back when I was around 350.

Surgery the only way to do it? I dropped from 230 to 160 (i'm only 5'6) got depressed at the flab and am back up to 210. It's sad but I've just started the decline again and I plan on keeping it off this time.

Get at least an hour of sunlight every day, 10 minutes at a time, keep working out, sweat a lot through long distance running.
>> Anonymous
its been said, but ill reaffirm it.

bulk up, put on some goddamn muscle. it'll fill out your loose skin from the weight loss and the muscle itself acts as a sort of 'framework' to give you a better overall shape.
>> Mr. LTE
Well, thank you very much everybody.

Heres how it works, I can't cut out cardio, now theres a reason for this. I don't drive, which means I walk to the gym (or jog) the 2 miles there and back.

I seriously jog 4 miles a day, 4 days a week.

I really didn't wanna hear "surgery" be mentioned, because I'm not exactly able to afford such luxuries...and I doubt insurance would cover it since technically its "cosmetic surgery". Someday, maybe.

Well in the meantime no sense in not putting on muscle, I'll keep the board posted on my progress since apparently I'm an inspiration to people...Which I really don't wanna be, but if my formally size 46 ass can inspire you, fine. I'll keep posting new pics every month or so.

>>47097

I am 6'2, anon.
>> Anonymous
Is your ass a disgusting mass of loose skin? I dropped from 240 to 160 and mine is hopeless.
>> Anonymous
went from 320 -> 220.

extra skin on bicep, tits and belly is insane. makes me want to get surgery.
>> Mr. LTE
>>47333

No, my ass is fat, not loose skin, its fat - For whatever reason, the remaining fat is more concentrated there than other places, must be from endless days of playing VIDYA GAEMS as a youth.
>> Anonymous
>>47277

I have heard that wearing form-fitting clothes and lightly massaging the skin after shower helps the skin shrink back to normal. People who have lipo often don't get tucks.

However, it takes up to two years for loose skin to go down.

>>47564

FAT, believe it or not, is an essential part of skin. It is the reason your skin is opaque, and you don't see all your itty bitty witty blood vessels. It is the reason your skin is supple, smooth and able to contain your muscles, as well as retain body heat.

Yes, your loose skin will have a layer of fat that comes with it, about 1 - 2cm at the thickest parts. This is normal. You cannot remove this fat without removing the rest of your skin.

It will take a year or so before your body fully adjusts, and tightens the skin.
>> Anonymous
>>47342

Just wear form-fitting clothing so that your loose skin doesn't stretch further from lack of support.
