HIIT isn't really recommended for fat people. Even people in shape have trouble doing it.
HIIT and LISS are both effective ways of weight loss, really. In fact, in the grand scheme of things, you'll see minimal differences, and thats if HIIT is even done correctly. For someone who has trouble sprinting at all, doing what you think is HIIT is worthless. I really couldn't sprint, and still can't that well, so I decided to just do 60 minutes of LISS every day when I wanted to lose fat. I still got great results.
tl;dr do whatever works for you. nobody is the same.
