Sup /fit/

So I am VERY new to working out. Ive only had about 2 months of experience in the gym. I was told to read Starting Strength and following it to the T. Ive read all of the exercises already and Ive already become overwhelmed. I can barely remember all the exercises and I dont even think that when I go to the gym tomorrow I will remember what to do.

I really thought I was going to go through with this but I think it is just too hard for me to learn right now because I have NO experience at all. I never even really benchpressed before or anything (the past 2 months I usually just used dumbbells and machines)

I also dont have anyone there for me to teach me how to do any of these barbell exercises. I mean I am pretty sure you I can full squat and benchpress but when it comes to the power cleans I know I am bound to do it all fucked up because I have no experience with it.

Any tips guys?

Practice power cleans with a broomstick at home.

Write down the exercises so you don't forget.

Stop being a faggot.

>I can barely remember all the exercises...

There are only five exercises in there. I don't think you read the book at all.

Yes I know that but what I meant was I can barely remember to do all of them correctly.

I know it is squat, benchpress, the press, deadlift and power clean.(didnt look at the book or anything either, lol)

but just wondering have any of you guys who know how to do these exercises never had anyone teach it to you or at least watch you for form?

Not to be anal but Mark Cameltoe says in the book to not use a broomstick because it doesnt give enough weight to swing or some bullshit like that.

Don't worry about it, just use the broomstick a couple of times to practice the movement in slow motion so that you have a general idea of what you're doing. Then get in the gym and do it, it's not that hard.

Thanks man I will try to get a personal trainer (if I even have the fucking $ for it. or I will have to wait to get one when I get enough money for one.)

I was thinking about asking a random lifter at the gym but I just dont want to fuck up some one's routine at the gym.

just practice your cleans with an empty barbell. Technique is the most important thing for newbies to have a grasp on. Same goes for all the compound exercises in the book.

I think 95% of all the personal trainers and people in the gym will give you a blank look when you say "power clean".

OP here again

what do you guys think about this workout routine?

I was thinking about just doing that for awhile until I have gotten familiar with gym equipment (and also until I can get enough money for a trainer to teach me power cleans and etc.)
