Yes, but Weight Watchers is a gimmick just like Nutrisystem or Atkins or whatever.
I love those commercials that are like "I LOST WEIGHT AND I GOT TO EAT CHOCOLATE HURF DURF". WELL NO FUCKING SHIT, YOU LOWERED YOUR OVERALL CALORIES AND HAD A TREAT DAY EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, OF COURSE YOU LOST WEIGHT, MILLIONS OF US KNOW THE SAME FUCKING THING BUT WE DIDN'T PAY OUT THE ASS AND GO TO MEETINGS AND A BUNCH OF OTHER ASSSHIT TACOFUCK.

With 30 minutes of walking, yeah, cause he'll probably only burn like 200 calories provided he cover about two miles. Science has dictated that, on average, you burn 100 calories per mile traveled on foot, regardless of the speed you travel. Going faster obviously has benefits to your cardiovascular system, metabolism, and overall efficiency since you're able to cover more distance in a shorter amount of time. However, should OP walk for, say, 1.5 hours, he'll burn a decent amount of calories, more so if he's working on an incline.
tl;dr: Yes, OP. You're cutting calories and exercising. That is how we ALL lose weight.
