All right. You've convinced me to move from all the machine-based isolation exercises to a plan incorporating such lifts as deadlift and squatz. What else should I be doing? lat pulldowns and dips and curls? I don't really want to do real benchpress cuz I'm at a uni gym with only a-holes so i'm not going to ask someone to spot me, and i don't want a partner cuz i don't have an extra fucking 30 minutes to wait for someone else to do their shit--i wanna go it alone like i've been doing for a year

I'm 160lbs, 5'8", male, fairly muscular with still a little more fat than I'd like, and my goal is more weight loss than getting xbawks hueg

I'm thinking
squatz
deadlift
lat pulldown
curl
row?
dip
incline, decline, and horizontal bench press
weighted curls

chin ups, pull ups, push press, hang cleans, yes to row, flys, military press

if you are looking to improve some of these lifts require a spotter :x
