I've been eating healthy and running 5 days a week since February. Also I got a job doing construction, which I've sorta used as a substitute to weight training. I started out at around 225-230 and am down to 164.

It seems no matter what I do, I can't get rid of this hourglass figure. It looks as bad as it did when I started in terms of shape, just shrunk down.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to be building up my torso to fill it out rather than waiting to lose it? I'm at a loss.

Ignore the pose in the picture, started taking progress pictures when I began dieting and lost my camera in the process, kept the pose for comparative purposes.

the place you store the most fat is always the last place you lose, so you probably won't lose the handles until every last bit of fat everywhere else is gone. I'm the same there's a bit of super stubborn fat covering my lower abs even though im ripped everywhere else, styrations in shoulders, chest, etc. It just takes time. Could work shoulders traps and lats more tin the meantime to get more of a v shape.

you need to build muscle... thats why you have a bitch shape going on there buddy and you know what did it? running a lot. if i were you i would scale down to running 3 times a week, join a gym and start doing squats like crazy, which will help you get the muscle you need.
