Ahoy /fit/
I have my PRT, physical readiness test, for the Navy in about 3.5 hours.

I want to maximize my score. Is there any particular food or legal substance that will help? I plan to have some caffeine (increased energy and dulled pain receptors) and maybe some aspirin before hand. I'm going to eat one complex carb snack about 1.5 - 2 hours before and hydrate.

Just fishing for any tips, no matter how small, to get that extra push up or extra 10 seconds off my run.

You could take pain-killers. and if they ask, say you have a killer headache and that is the only thing that lets you focus.

Nah, don't have any on hand and I don't want to go down that road...

done and done, why the hell do you think I'm on the computer haha, thanks though

Alot of complex carbs to give you energy over a long time and get well hydrated is about as much as you can do. Suppose caffeine cant hurt, but its down to your level of fitness and how much work you put in to prepare for the test.

Good luck and post back the results (how long does it take btw?)

Thanks
Not long.
Navy requirements are really easy. I have to hit 58 sit ups in 2 minutes, 47 push ups in 2 minutes, and run 1.5 miles in 12:00. But I want to to better.

Which would you say is the most difficult part of that then?

Push ups for me personally. It depends on your body and how you work out.
