When I do my squatz, I breath in deeply, tighten up, go down, up again and breath out. I noticed that when I exhale, my breath is like fog and I wonder if thats normal.
I am kinda worried coz I read stuff like valsalva or abdominal breathing can cause glaucoma and other nasty things. Am I doing it wrong?

Actually, OP, that is pretty fucking strange and I have no idea. I would see a doctor, as I'm no expert.

That shit only happens to me when I go outside.

You might wanna change your breathing pattern to free-breathing... as in... breathing whenever feels right. That's what I do. There's several methods to breathing...stronglifts.com is a good site to go to for the most part for information on squats.

No, I squat inside. And it's definitely not because of the temperature.

Ok, if you guys thinks its weird, then I will see my doc about it. This article about glaucoma made me kinda worried.

do you, by chance, smoke while you squat?

I smoke all the time, but not when doing my exercises.

Smoke trapped in your lungs. Before i quit, when I wasn't smoking and forced an exhale, smoke would come out

you best stop smokin' then

Non-smoker here, this happens to me all the time. All I have to do is increase the pressure in my lungs without letting air escape and it does it. I actually just did it sitting here at my computer. I think it's just water vapor from the increased pressure and moisture in your lungs.

Thanks for the input. I never heard about this phenomenon before so I was kinda worried.
