Hey /fit/, I've been trying to lose weight for the pas two weeks, I've been running every day doing push ups, sit ups, ect., and eating better, but I seem to have GAINED two pounds. What's going on?
>> Anonymous
Eating better and less? Or just better?
>> Anonymous
stuffing yourself with 4000 calories of "good" food is just as bad as 4000 calories of "bad" food. if you don't:

do you cheat? people are idiots, they decide they're gonna cheat and then forget they do it...and then do it again two hours later. by the end of the day they forget all the bad things they've eaten and still claim they're eating healthy.

have you been doing weights?

and lastly have you noticed any loss in girth/circumference? (do your pants feel looser.)

I actually HAVE been eating less, and have been filling up on water instead, no soda, and I've been drinking one cup of orange juice a day ( a lot less than before)
>> Anonymous
probably water weight
give it at least another 2 weeks
fatty
>> Anonymous
It either what they said, or possibly you gained weight due to muscle growth.
>> belo
muscle weights more than fat

You seriously shouldn't run every day if you want to lose weight, go for brisk walks instead.

/fit/ is full of fucking idiots, especially>>311379

OP, America WANTS you to get fat and stay fat by forking out all these processed, poor quality foods such as JIF peanut butter and even Nutrigrain cereal bars. It's all a scam, trust me dude. They WANT us to think that eating (GOOD-QUALITY) fat will make us fat, while recent studies have PROVEN that to be wrong. Saturated fats aren't good in high amounts and Hydrogenated/Partially-Hydrogenated Oils are fucking toxic. Same goes for High-Fructose Corn Syrup. These are man-made "foods" that can literally be kept in landfills and stay good for practically FOREVER!! They slow your metabolism dramatically which makes you burn less fat when you work out and they also greatly increase your risk for sicknesses and diseases. It's important to avoid these "foods" at all costs.

It's not true that, say, 300 calories of potato chips is just as nutrient dense as 300 calories of whole eggs. The potato chips hardly have any nutritional value. Eggs are the most nutrient-dense food you can eat. Oh, and by the way, eating more cholesterol than the %DV bullshit on labels is completely wrong.

Eat foods that are as close to their natural state as possible, no exceptions. Grass-fed beef (great lean protein), beans, nuts, olive oil, eggs, you get the idea.

Processed = BAD
Natural/Organic = Best

I also very strongly recommend the book "Ultrametabolism". I have lost 5lbs in just 3 chapters of reading that book, barely exercising. It's not a fad diet or anything like that, I don't buy into that bullshit. If you decide you feel motivated enough to get that book you will thank me, I guarantee it.

I don't think you need to eat "organic"

Fertilizers are just as natural as anything else that's in the soil, its just the soil has been depleted after so many plants growing in it that it that it needs a little rejuvenation. Things like potassium, nitrates, phosphates, sulfates...all can be gained from "natural" sources.

Poisons? Insecticides? They are not used in as great quantities as the organic pushing corporations would want you too believe. Even less ends up in what you eat.

Don't let yourself get fooled by the hype/propaganda.

okay eat wild then. u can't fuck around with the extra nutrients wild animals have over domesticated.

whatever. Organic and wild are roughly the same thing.

>300 calories of potato chips is just as nutrient dense as 300 calories of whole eggs.
hey the point he's referring to is the 10 or 20 or 30 odd micronutrients contained in the eggs but absent in the potato chips because that's been superheated to hell.

you should cover up Sir, your ignorance is showing. let me rephrase. STFU.

Heh believe whatever you motherfuckers want to believe. It's not my problem if you turn out like the rest of America. There has to be a reason why this country is so overweight. It's all because that artificial shit is cheap to produce and distribute. Read a fucking book, dumbshits

if you are truely eating less and eating right then the weight is water or if your lucky it's muscle.
>> Anonymous
>>312321
we eat too much and do too little

thats the reason
>> Anonymous
For future reference, it's not so much eating less and less.. Eating less will put your body into starvation/storage mode (you know what I mean) so don't fucking do it. You should eat a good meal, but take your time to enjoy it. Since it takes 20 minutes for the hormones in your body to tell your brain you're full, doing this will prevent overeating in many cases.

Eat small and eat often. I did this for a day and I didn't go hungry once, not bullshitting.

So what are you going to do about it, dumbass?

We eat too much because the carbs and sugars the average American consumes are HIGHLY PROCESSED AND REFINED, not to mention all those Ho-Ho's and Twinkies. Eating those products is cheap, easy and convenient. The sugars enter the bloodstream very quickly causing a spike in the insulin levels which tells us we need more sugar, thus we eat more and more.

>>312340
no way bra' those 600 calories of sugar is just the same as 600 calories of meat, vegetables, and whole grain bread.

tl;dr
UR GETTING TROLLED FUCKING SHIT UR RETARDED.

>>312341
Took you long enough, you fucking retard. What if I wanted to get my point across? Not enough people know about eating right and they'll keep doing the same shit over and over again, failing every time. And you know from the other thread that I posted in that all calories are not alike. Keep it coming
