Shoulder Flexibility Anonymous
Hi /fit/, I was wondering if you guys could give me any tips on developing strong shoulder flexibility. I play tennis, and having a live left arm is important for my serve, and the biggest contributor to this is a nice, flexible shoulder. Mine is somewhat flexible, but not even as flexible as my right shoulder, due to the fact that my left arm has developed and is much more muscular than my right from tennis. The picture is of Pete Sampras, who possessed probably the greatest serve of all time, and had a very flexible shoulder. In fact, he could touch his elbows together behind his back, and an expert who had examined the shoulders of many baseball pitchers said Sampras had the most well-developed shoulder he'd ever seen. I'm not necessarily aiming for THAT level of shoulder flexibility and development, but any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm mainly looking for stretches or anything that will help with flexibility, not as much the development of muscle. Thank you!

I just started stronglifts and one of the things they suggest is shoulder dislocations, I've been doing them and they seem pretty good as far as getting rid of inflammation.

Oh and spot playing fag sports.

OP here, thanks, I'll try shoulder dislocations. And I think I'll stick with playing tennis, I enjoy a bit of sophistication with my sports. Oh and I can still whoop anyone's ass at basketball.

I was just busting some balls, anyways the sport can be intense but fuck off with the sophistication stuff, really.

www.stronglifts.com and look for the step by step instructions on how to do them.

While we're on the topic, I recently hurt my arm through a combination of Squash, throwing dodgeballs and footballs.

My best guess was tennis elbow, but I can move my wrist incredibly well. It is also not as painful. Could it be a less severe version, or am I wrong?
