Anyway, anyone willing to arnold work out? I know this may sound like overtrain but there we go!


if you don't believe high volume is king anymore, take a look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in T3. He achieved conditioning that most 25 year old guys wish they had. By the end of the 6 months he was on that routine, he was benching 275 for 15 on a smith machine. He gained around 6-8 lbs of muscle, and, did it WITHOUT STEROIDS or going past regular muscular failure. Here was his workout:


MON/WEDS/FRI: Chest, Back, Legs, Abs
chest:
Smith Machine or Hammer strength benchpress: 5x15
Incline dumbell press:5x15
dumbell flyes:5x15
back:
Lat pulldowns to rear:5x15

The reason he can't lift heavy and is forced to do high volume is because he had heart surgery in 97'(i think?), after that he couldn't train like he did before

HEAVY > light endurance training
