I have a problem /fit/

When I'm doing squats I can't breathe for shit, I'm just really shot of breathe, because of this I can only do two before I have to stop and take a bunch of deep breathes.

I can only do about 20 before it really gets to me and I have to put the bar down (I use my benchpress bar so I can't use too much weight) it feels like having the bar on my shoulders/back is restricting me breathing, is this normal at all?

How much weight are you using? How much do you weigh?

and I weight 190

Most people keep their reps from the 1-12 range for one set so their cardiovascular system doesn't take over.

yeah but I'm doing less weight than I could if I had a proper set up because I have to overhead it onto my shoulders

do 5x5, try frontsquats.

I'll start 5x5, but I can't do front squats for some reason, its a bitch to hold the weight on my shoulders like that.

what kind of excuse is that? The clean hold is THE basic weightlifting stance.
Go to stronglifts.com and read the section about front squatting.
Shit is better cause it doesn't compress your spine as much.
