also. protein is a not a supplement. it is a macronutrient shittards. that would be the same as calling KOOLAID a supplement, as it is powdered carbohydrates....

personally.
-very low dose, 100% REAL food based (non synthetic) multi
-15-30g Omega 3
-and in the 'fun' category, im currently trying some adrenal-hypothalamic adaptogens...always learning something new, and as Duchaine would say, you are your own best experiment

for some reason, I knew I would find "cscs" in the e-mail field of this one. sorry, but you aren't going to convince anyone to stop calling whey protein a supplement anytime soon
>> Anonymous
>>404952

i think the term supplement is subjective, you use it to supplement your diet because you otherwise cannot achieve that required nutritious goal

therefore i supplement my diet with protein shake sometimes if i feel i didn't get enough meat in my meals, otherwise i won't supplement my diet with it. simple enough

Do you realize how stupid that logic is when you go on to say you take a "100% REAL food based (non synthetic) multi" ?

WELL THEN I GUESS IT ISN'T A SUPPLEMENT THEN IS IT? NO. THEY'RE ALL PART OF YOUR DIET AND YOU ARE SUPPLEMENTING IT WITH A PILL JUST LIKE YOU SUPPLEMENT YOUR PROTEIN INTAKE WITH A POWDER INSTEAD OF FOOD.
>> Anonymous
>>404970
so koolaid is a supplement to you? gatoraid? VITAMIN WATER?

where do you draw the line? its usually calorie content, in teh sense of macro vs micronutrients. the more 'natural' (loose term) the more enhanced absorption profile, hence selection in a multi. no one would think a vitamin is 'food in a pill'. protein powder and the shit i listed earlier would be considered 'food in a powder'.

because what of protein powder compressed into a BAR form? (protein bar) NOW what is it? a supplement still, or has it become a 'food'?

fyi that casein uses sucralose as a sweetener. maybe you dont notice, but I found it gives me headaches and increases my anxiety.

No need. I only take choline in order to prevent headaches and other side effects from piracetam. I don't take enough to cause that.

I've read that too much calcium can be bad for you.
So I'm going to hold off on my cal/mag/zinc and just take magnesium esp since it helps make your dreams more vivid. everybody with just magnesium tablets take some tonight and report back.

Not sure about the casein, but it is the second to last ingredient before aminogen... some digestive enzyme compound

Can I have some?
>> Anonymous
>>405218
i just lurked a bit around for you since i was bored and curious and unless your really overdoing the artificial sweeteners then you should be fine.

the acceptable daily recommended intake of sucralose is 5mg per kg of bodyweight, so unless you weight 6lbs the 30mg shouldn't be a problem, and I doubt the casein is packing much more then that.

and that potassium stuff is slated at 15mg per kg.

Let me make it clear that I in no way think that anyone should be taking that so called "acceptable" amount as the shit is sketchy, but if you eat properly usually and are only getting it from your protein then don't worry about it.

I can't give you a definite answer in mg's. All I can say is that the casein powder on top of oryx goat whey pwo was enough to give me headaches. I have been a bit more anxious lately. I am not going to buy/use either of these again once I finish up my current tubs. Maybe it isnt enough to cause a noticeable effect for you, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.
>> Anonymous
>>405271
thanks!
i do go out of my way to eat well, mostly fresh foods and few canned goods.

>>405291
I haven't gotten any headaches but when I take casein before bed I have a hard time falling asleep, but I think that is just because I shouldn't be taking things right before bed and the sales people at gnc are fucking assholes for advising me to do so.

None, because unlike the majority of 4chan, I don't do drugs. You see, I do this little thing called hard work. I know it's not a familiar word to you since most of you are out in the couch smoking that weed and popping those pills. I'm sure you'll come with the excuse of "Well, I need it because I have a condition" or "It's great to do it to have fun with friends!!!". what is omega-3? it's fat. why don't you just eat a bunch of fatty fish and grass fed meats if you want omega-3?

doesn't make much sense that fish oil is a supplement but protein powder isn't? both are macronutrients, both have added effects that real foods cannot always give you (extreme omega-3, or full amino acids)

btw you take a fucking boatload of omega-3, which i'm assuming you take to counter grain fed meats?

well he's takign 15-30g a day or omega-3, i take about 6g a day. i don't know what my omega-6:omega-3 ratio is but it's got to be pretty fucking good considering i only eat pasturefed beef, bison, chicken, and pork. and i eat mackerels, salmon, sardines, and scallops at least 3 times a week.

but seriously 15-30g? that's pretty outrageous, that's at least 10 tsp a day of liquid fish oil

thats how i do it

my eggs are 660mg omega3 x ~8eggs a day, then (same list u have) of fatty fish, and a serving of 1/2lb grassfed beef. i round out other meals w/ a "Swig" of my liquid Omega3s

4 tablespoons of crushed flax and raw, org walnuts too.

that generally does it.

advice on this from a top Paleo nutrition anthro PHD was aim, at a minimum, of 1 g omega3 per % BF. the less BF% u have, the less 'help' you need. THIS IS A MINIMUM recommendation.

i try to go for the absolute. going 1:1 or 1:2
