If your goal is a better figure then learn to hate yourself, but know how to fight your fat in a healthy way. I used to be skinny as fucking shit and I'd be embarrassed to look in the mirror, even at home. I gained 20 pounds, stopped, started being unsatisfied again (though a lot more mild this time, more of a "I could do better than this" feeling), then gained another 20 and am still gaining. Though my goals have since then changed, it's really just always having a goal and having the attitude of "I can achieve more than this" that really helps your drive to improve.
