Hay /fit/

So, Im a super fatty, no lying. I'm 6 feet (well, 5'11.9) and weigh 220. and dont worry this is not a "HOW DOES I LOSE FAT" thread. Bw, pic related, it's me

Basically, Ive gotten off my ass and decided to start losing weight, starting this morning. Now, unlike most fatties I dont want to lose 50 pounds in a week. I figure a pound or two a week seems reasonable.

I went to the gym this morning, used the pec and ab machines for about ten minutes(I have set of weights at home I can use if I want, I do push ups, sit ups, etc at home. plus I am not so concerned with building massive muscle, just losing fat at this point) then I went on an elliptical for about 31 minutes (burning 500 calories via cardio)

So /fit/ here are my dimensions:

Waist: 35-36 inches
Jean size: 38 inches
Weight: 220
Height: 6 feet

You really aren't even that fat looking. Stop being melodramatic. You just lack muscle.

He still has a "underbelly" even with his arms raised. He can lose weight.

I didn't say he couldn't lose weight, I'm saying he's not that bad off at all and he's being dramatic as fuck calling himself a "super fatty". His normal weight should be between 180 and 200 with 15% body fat, he won't have to work hard at all to achieve this as he just has some vanity pounds to shed. TONS of people are MUCH worse off than him.

>plus I am not so concerned with building massive muscle, just losing fat at this point)

Building muscle and losing fat need to go hand in hand. If you lose 25 or 30 pounds but don't work out right, your body will look EXACTLY the same as it does now, it'll just be smaller overall.

Yea he's not even that fat. Just do some pushups everyday, get some excercise, and eat right. Very simple.

i was in your situation about a year and a half ago (6' 210), simple lifestyle changes really melt the pounds away. I watched what I ate, had a breakfast every morning, cut out soda and alcohol completely, took my coffee black. Started running 3 miles every other day, did pushups, cruches, squats, dumbell curls. In 3 months I dropped down to 170.

I've actually lost more weight since then, i think that is due to moving to the city, i do a lot more walking and biking than I did back in the jersey suburbs, i've stopped running, i'm now at 155. As for diet i'm drinking soda and alcohol again and I eat like I did before i lost the weight, my body just seems to blast through it with the new muscles i added over the year.

Thanks for the advice. actually dont have a license and walk around where ever I can and do so for an hour or 2 a day (but I like in a hick town of like 8K people, there is not that much to walk around)

Ive tried the dieting and working out thing before. I lost 15-20 pounds in 3 or 4 months. I dont know what happened, I guess I got lazy and started to think slurpies and chips were part of a good diet?

Anyways, I'm cutting out all beverages except water and low calorie flavored water. The latter will be consumed far less often than the former.

Here is what I ate today, tell me what to fix

2 apples (80 calories each)
2 (130 calorie, whole grain Oatmeal) cookies
PB and J sandwich. (350 calories?)
Spaghetti with meat sauce. (1000-1500 calories?)

So, added up I get around 2270 calories. According to my BMR and the Harris Benedict equation, I would need to eat 3495.095 calories a day to maintain mah weights.

So, does this mean that, logically thinking (and knowing 3500 calories= a pound) , continuing on with this 1500 calorie deficit (1000 less than the amount of calories need to maintain weight + 500 from cardio workout) that I am looking at burning 3 pounds a week. (at least, at first)?
