Sup /fit/
I want a fuckin 300 body. I have always wanted one, so this time im going to fucking do it, no bullshit just do it.
Right now, im 6'2 and 285 pounds, i have a really thick build, like a football player.. and size 18-20 shoes.
What i need to know is how can i drop weight like a madman but still keep my food intake normal so i wont stunt my growth.
I want to go for 12 weeks max time for getting my goal, 3 months seems reasonable.
how many hours a day at the gym do you think it would take?
>> Anonymous
google "300 workout"
>> Hammerknife !7ITukp3Pj2
'Stunt your growth'? How fucking old are you?

Anyway, half hour of HIIT cardio followed by hour of lifts from Starting Strength. Rapidshit it if you don't know how to lift.
>> Anonymous
im good on lifting, recently i have been doing blowouts and shit.. high reps low weight.. for toning.
but i think i need to do alot more cardio instead..
or should i do both?

op btw.. if you didnt know.

>> Anonymous
Well those guys were in good shape. But kick ass lighting.

Honestly, I could look fucking defined as fuck with movie lighting. Some of the thinner guys wouldn't look NEARLY as good in regular lighting.
>> Anonymous
lets just say i wanna look like a muscular badass, k?
back to my questions please
>> Anonymous
post a picture of what you look like now, then we can tell you what type of cardio/lifting you need to do. faggot has to realise we cannot guess you body composition from your height and weight. full body shot, i dont give a fuck about your dick or your face so cover that up.

i heard they lost their bodies a week after filming...keeping a body like that is near...impossible..unless you get paid to do it

25.6 hours according to my calculations

Those guys were in good shape before they built up those bodies for that movie, and even then it was difficult. Just watch the extra features on the 300 dvd.

There's no fucking way that you're going to get a Leonidas body in a year, try five.

There's no such thing as "toning"
>> Mr. LTE
>>51789

Its seriously the most annoying term among fitness boards, anywhere. And I think its safe to say it drives everybody nuts.

Also High weight low reps = Mass building

If you're wanting to cut OP, you need to do more cardio, and do lower weight with higher reps.

Google velocity diet.

Swallow pride, ignore all previous lies fed to you about your own health.

Enjoy cut midsection, ripped arms and a detailed back in 4 weeks.

Also enjoy have the testicular fortitude to stick to super diet.
>> Anonymous
I wish everyone would stop acting like they achieved some kind of super body. Anyone could look like that in 1 year of solid bulking and a 2-3 month cut, at most.

They're not THAT big, they've got a reasonable bodyfat %, nice lighting, big chest, shoulders and arms. Enough back to look proportional and their legs will do, I guess.

Honestly, if you did your dips, chins, rows and bench you'd look like that. Throw squats and deadlifts in for good measure and you'd look BETTER.

lies, you'll need a proper workout routine if you want good, even muscle bulk.

believe it or not 300 was a big budget movie, and every actor had personal trainers to help bulk up properly.
>> Anonymous
You want a 300 body?

The actors had to go here:
http://www.gymjones.com/

And yes the workouts were punishing.

Monday:
Squats (5x5)
Calf Raises (8x5)
Bicep Curls (8x3)
Tricep Extensions (8x3)

Tuesday:
Dumbell Rows (8x5)
Chinups (8x3)
Good Mornings (8x5)
Forearm curls (pronated and supinated) (8x5 for both directions)

Wednesday:
Benchpress (5x5)
Military Press (8x3)
Dips (5x3)

Thursday:
Leg Press (10 x 5)
Calf raises (15 x 5)
Any prehab work you need to do goes here (shit like mobility, or any injuries that need to be looked after)

friday:
deadlifts (5x5)
Dumbell rows (5x5)
Chinups (5x5)
Shrugs (8x5)

There's a resonable plan to build a very intimidating looking physique.

Depending on genetic limitations etc you might have to lower workload (few less sets here and there)

but for everyone I know, that kinda workload's adapted to within a month or two at most.
>> Anonymous
thanks for the answers guys, i think im going to try the low weight high reps, and lots of cardio. I'll start a new thread in 12 weeks if i achieve my goal.

The real question is, why the fuck would you want a body like that?

It's A) unrealistic and B) useless. You'll be constantly hungry from the restrictions placed upon you by keeping such a cut figure, and you'll probably become irritable and DEFINITELY a pain to hang around when people are eating and you must go "Oh, I can't eat THAT, I've gotta watch my figure." Which makes you sound self-absorbed.

Don't say, "because I WANT it." I don't buy that for a second. You want it to impress the girls. And the guys in the gym.

There's a reason people only get PAID to look like that. Because the reward does not outweigh the sacrifices needed to get there. Plus, factor in that every time you saw Leonidas and his merry men, they were pumped/airbrushed/well lit, so it's completely unrealistic to aim for it.

Get a body similar, but one that doesn't require like 2-3 hours of exercise a day and a diet that will test your resolve with every meal. Life is too short to obsess COMPLETELY over how you look.

also in before gtfo fatfag
>> Anonymous
Once more: THE 300 GUYS ARE NOT THAT BIG

For fucks sake guys, that shit is possible in 3 years whilst being a fucking lazy shit.

The dietary strains allegedly put on you are nonexistant to someone who eats properly. Stop being skinny hippy fags and harden the fuck up.

Muscular bodies don't give you that "I can't eat that" bullshit, unlike vegos, vegans and every other sooky bread out there, the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism, if you're holding 200lb at 5'10 with abs, you can do whatever the fuck you want food wise.
>> Anonymous
>>51962
Maintaining that muscle muscle mass with that low level of bodyfat is not easy you dipshit.

If it is, I'd like to see some pics of you.
>> Anonymous
Plenty of people maintain similair amounts of fat year round, with that or more muscle.

They're not exactly in competition shape...

anything over bout 6% is quite easy to hold on something like the anabolic diet, or a ketogenic diet of any sort.

>>51962
my friend was in that movie and he did stunts.

everyone in that movie was big before they started the "300" workout
>> Anonymous
Dude Your gonna Need to do longer than 3 months if you want Good long lasting results, Don't change the the amount of food you takin just the quality of food, STOP EATING WHITE BREAD, eat 100% whole wheat that change alone you will lose 15 lbs. I would say 6 months at the least
>> Anonymous
>>52226
>Obviously this is an advanced workout...you shouldn't do it unless you are already in great shape.

>>51980

It just becomes second nature. You crave the pump, you wake up an hour beforehand just to cook chicken breast and make your breakfast. You live for lifting
>> Anonymous
>>52223
That's not how they trained, the 300 workout was a fitness test using cave-man age training methods for a bit of fun, most of those guys were very built before they did it (check out the number of stuntmen at the end, they have to be inherently physical to some degree, producers just choose the finest of the crop) the training they did for the 2 months leading up to the movie was just to bring out the extra detail and size in 'em.

To OP:

You want a body like them though? Perfectly good program above, do that for a while and you'll have more muscle than they did, choose when you like how you look, keep going for another 3-4 months, cut down on stuff like anabolic\velocity diet and enjoy having abs without sacrificing a muscular physique.

hey /fit/

i'm a really skinny kid and my goal is to gain mass. i'm just so sick and tired of waking up in the morning to look at a twig in the mirror. i just got a gym membership and i'm ready to change.

aside from diet and eating, i really don't know how to lift for mass. i know its high weight > low reps, but is it really that simple? i know a friend who has been at it for more than a year and there's seriously no difference in him.

help!

your goals are unrealistic, time wise. you cant get big in 3 months, but you can be in better shape and have a little bit more muscle mass.

and for this guy>>51956

hes a fucking toolbag.
it all depends on if you want the body bad enough, alot of people do get in shape for the wrong reasons, but there are people out there that are huge and dont get paid for it.
they do it simply because they want to improve themselves and not other people.the rewards do outweigh the sacrifices, your just a toolbag that doesn't understand the simple concept of wanting to look better and doing whatever it takes to get there.

not to mention people notice the dedication and do notice all the time and effort it takes to look like that.
some people will hate you out of jealousy, some will respect you for what you have accomplished, and no one can take that from you.
