Why aren't lentils up there with oatz and squatz for /fit/ ?
lentilz
oatz = for cool peoplelentilz = for hippies.
lentils give you nasty stinky gas.
Lentils are awesome but other anon isn't kidding about the gas
what are the negatives
>>468723You will become the smelly kid no one likes again, just like when you were six.
What about oats v. quinoa? About the same carb/protein ratio.
lentils give you gas if you normally eat legumes like once a week
Chia Seeds are good too.If you've never had em': Google it.
>>468755steel cut oats goodprocessed oats badoats seem to be #1 in popularity here but really almost any whole grain will dobrown rice goodwhite rice bad or simply not quite as goodlentils good but make you fartswitch it up
>>468760by processed oats I meant rolled oatsand lentils are legumes not grains but whatever similar nutritional profile and cooking method
>>468760>>468766So, no Quaker's?
>>468770You can probably do better, but there is nothing wrong with Quakers. It's what I eat, and I think most of /fit/ does as well.
>>468770Most rolled oats (Quaker) tend have had the nutritious husk removed. You can supplement by adding oat bran which is pretty much pure husk but that just tastes gross. Like reconstituting milk by adding nonfat milk and milk fat.Brown rice is chewy and a little nutty like steel cut oatmeal for the same reasons.
>>468760instead of repeating bullshit dribble I suggest you go to the store and read the info on the boxes. there is practically NO nutritional difference between the two (rolled oats and steel cut).
