I've taken to riding my bike for two reasons. LOL GAS and the fact I'm a disgusting fat ass (330#/6'2").
During the week I'll take brief jaunts while running errands usually no more than one or two miles but on the weekeneds I always endeavor to go a little father.
Today I rode ten miles in a little less than two hours. Considering my physical position did I make good time? I figure if I was really good then I should've averaged about 10mph all the way with minimal stops.

if you averaged 10 mph, then a good average would be 11mph
and when you get that, aim for 12
and so on...

I jog faster than that...

if ur the fat ass u say thats not too bad. just keep at it, it gets easier

That is not very good, but really it depends on the conditions. If you were going into a strong wind it might be considered an acceptable workout, because if you are 330# you probably have a lot of crosssectional area to catch the wind and act like a sail.

Most of it was uphill and I was stuck in a lower gear most of the time so I didn't burn out.
Mind you I wasn't in the mountains (Colorado here) but it's daunting.

I have to get one of these. All I have is a metal bottle of water and my backpack.
