Looking worse. Anonymous
Hey /fit/, I've started eating more white bread and white pasta and a little bit unhealthy (but keeping macros the same) and I seem to be gaining fat on my tummy. It looks less tight and pushed out more, which is very annoying. Is this bloat or am I gaining fat?

I workout hard, eat 4k+ and am currently bulking. I'm not gaining weight very fast (if at all.. I check once a week) but it seems I'm getting fatter and my chest is looking worse, what the hell?

No white pasta or white bread man, clean bulk all the way.

so the changes to unhealthy foods are making you fat? GASP! switch back queer. Weight is a tricky measurement, I often fluctuate 5lbs throughout the day, go by measurements.

get a caliper to use in conjunction with your scale

or suck it up, gaining some fat is part of bulking

I'm not sure if its just bloat, or what.

I take creatine - 5g after my workout plus a scoop of superpump before. So probably like 6-7 grams a day.

Also, I dont know if white bread gives more bloat then brown so I was just wodnering.

Higher glycemic index, promotes more of an insulin response. Bad for fat burning. But I wouldn't worry about it too much.

not OP but I was wondering: IS the whole grain pasta much better? and as far as bread which is the "best" kind? there's like 1000000000 different whole grain breads in the bread aisle. cheers in advance

It is WAY so much better. White rice has simple carbohydrates while brown rice has more complex carbohydrates and more nutrients, Tl;DR just eat the shit and oats too.

eat abt 500 above maintenance and you're gold.
unless you're a pro athlete you dont need that much calories.
