Sup /fit/, I require your input for a variety of questions I have.

Its flu season I think and I feel sick. I'd think cardio would speed up the getting process. On Friday I did 2 miles (around the suburbs, its pretty uneven terrain), and I felt wasted the next day. That night I did HIIT the first time and I felt like shit afterwards (30 secs/1 min). I mostly want to burn body fat, so HIIT seemed like the way to go. Should I keep trying HIIT or just take a rest day today and fluid my way to clear sinuses?

Also, I've had this nagging problem on my right hip for quite a while. Its not constant pain, but when I flex that area it kind of hurts. I don't notice it during runs, but when I move my hip I notice the pain is there.

What should my training regimine be after I get better? I'm currently doing 1 mile on Monday-Thursday, 2 miles on Friday, and I'll try to incorporate HIIT on Saturdays. Sundays are usually rest days, or I switch that with Monday sometimes. Apologies for my jumble of words, I feel really out of it right now and just needed some advice from the /fit/izens.

When I was reading a running magazine today it said that running decreases your immune system so if you feel sick I think it'd be a good idea to exercise else wise or take it really easy. It also said to eat apples because it helps keep the immune system up
