Is it possible to see big results in the span of 1-3 months? I'm 5'10" (guy) and 180 pounds. I've cut my daily calorie intake to about half of what I was getting (1500-2000 vs 3000+), and I'm stopped drinking soft drinks (only water, and orange juice for me).

My workout consists of 200-300 crunches a day, an hour on the exercise bike, and 30 minutes jogging. I want to lose weight more than gain muscle, but it'd be nice to have some abs for summer.

i think it goes without saying you need some SQUATZ

Yeah you should see some results in 1-3 months if you keep up that routine daily

Just don't push it and take a rest day when you feel you need it from times to times

yes, have a rest day for sure

Im pretty sure 1500 calories for a man is a bit too low.

You're right. 2000 is the recommended amount.

Is it bad if I eat something "unhealthy" once in a while? I know there's a cheat day I should use, but I just kind of stopped eating all my favorite foods abruptly (potato chips, chocolate, etc). My diet consists of various vegetables (asparagus, mushrooms, corn, peas, potatoes), meat (either in pasta, or cooked on barbecue, but never fast food), and my carbs come from rice and pasta. I don't need fried stuff anymore, or fish.

But every once in a while (I've been doing this for a couple of weeks) I'd get a huge fucking craving for a donut or something, and I kind of resist. I haven't had any snacks since I started.

Do crunches still feel like you're being punched in the abs? I'm 5'10 and about 138 now, only doing around 120 crunches a day mainly for fun since its not going to assist weight loss.

So basically OP first sentence, do crunches feel like you are getting punched in the abs?

Well, this is my first kind of workout experience, so it does feel a bit odd. I usually do 10 crunches straight up, then 10 crunches to the left, then 10 to the right, then repeat up until 200-300. I get tired after about 20 and need to take a 10-20 second break, then continue. When I'm done, it feels really sore, but it feels so much worse the next day when I wake up (aching).

Im basically the same i guess then, except obviously not doing it as intense. I do 20 straight and when i reach 20 it feels like someone just gave me a hard punch. After 20 second rest i can do the next 20 but i tend to lose form at 17 when the pain returns.

Love and hate the feeling att he same time :S

I dont think doing crunches in different directions help. just keep going up straight

same effect

Why is it called "crunches"?
>> Anonymous
Because you crunch your body together?

Should have called it "baseball bat to the stomach" imo.
