It's VERY unlikely eating 2000 calories a day plus a lot of exercise will result in fat gains, for you unless you're a woman or incredibly small. I mean, you'd have to be reeeeally small. Remember, 1800 is the bare minimum for guys, and you need to add on the calories you burn. (Say your need 3100 to maintain your weight, you lower it to 2100 then you burn 500 doing cardio, you'd need to eat 2600 calories, otherwise you're only reallly eating 1600.)
