Sup /fit/,Is there any real reason to take this stuff? Are there any other brands better for the same price?I usually weight lift four times a week, each major muscle group twice a week. I live in a dorm at university, so I have limited access to food (and cooking said food). I'm also a vegaboo (vegetarian), so a little more protein couldn't hurt.Anyone in similar situations find that it really helped? Or just comments in general on whey protein?
I take Optimum Nutrition whey. I got 10lbs or so from Amazon for $30 on sale.
I get On cause it's the only one that doesn't taste like complete shit.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/sm.htmlOptimum is a good brand. When I graduated high school about a year and a half ago, I weighed about 130lbs.Now I'm coming on 180lbs B)Just make sure that you're only SUPPLEMENTing your diet with this stuff. never make it a sole source of nutrition
I take BioX Power Whey Complex. It tastes fucking good and it's high quality but not extremely expensive. I used to take IsoPro but that costs even more.
I mean in general does it help building muscle? I definitely get enough protein per day through tuna, protein shakes, milk, and other places, but probably not as much as I need for building a lot of muscle.
Optimum is like the number 1 purchased brand.BSN has good tasting shit, their Syntha-6 is fucking outrageously good.
>>15614Vanilla is really good. All the flavors are drinkable. I stick with Vanilla and Chocolate.I only mix with skim milk. When mixed with water it tastes like doo.
>>15614The ON mixed with water is OK once you get used to it. Milk is really good, almost like a milkshake. But in a pinch water is fine (and less calories).
gaspari nutrition has awesome shit, tastes good too.
>>15541and how long ago was that?
