Protein loading.

I've been told that you can only absorb/process/whatever about 30 grams of protein at a time, so what's the best way to go about this without too many extra calories from the frequent meals/shakes/whatever? I'm gonna go for about 150+ grams of protein per day.

So, what's /fit/s experience or advice in these matters? Protein shakes? Lean meats? Skim milk? Gtfo and sage?

On a related question, what is the cheapest way to get sufficient protein? I would prefer natural protein, but eating chicken/fish 6 times a day sounds expensive. Is there any vege/meat/supplement that can be had cheaply, and used oft without too many negative side effects?

Whey protein shakes. The easiest absorbed protein there is, around 30g of protein per shake, and pretty economical really as long as you get the right brand.

Eat egg whites. You your body absorbs roughly 90% of the protein in them.
