I'm 5'8" and weight 205. I plan on losing weight, particularly the excess weight in my stomach and thighs but I cardiovascular exercise hasn't shown any results. Any ideas on how to lose it?

How long have you been exercising for? What cardio are you doing? Have you changed your diet at all?

since I'm just in it for losing weight, I work my leg muscles and stomach then run for any where between 20 minutes to 30 straight. Plus jump rope about 200 to 400 times. Recently I put on a slimmer belt and a vest while running to lose the excess body fat in the center of my body, this did show better results. I try and get a protein bar after a workout and eat an apple during my breakfast. and at least one salad in my lunch or dinner.

Am I doing it right?

What else are you eating though? A salad and an apple aren't going to do much if you're eating too much crap. Likewise, you can't eat too little either. Going for your runs in the morning will help too.

You need to ramp up your metabolism. How you ask? HIIT.

It's shit at college cafeteria's so on a regular day
Breakfast:
1 Egg sandwich on wheat bread
1 apple
1 glass of OJ
1 glass of skim milk (with cereal if hungry)

Lunch and dinner: (their's no real differences between the two in cafeterias)
1 salad
2 slices of pizza OR double burger on wheat bun with tomato and lettuce
1 Ice cream or 2 oat meal cookies
1 to 2 glasses of OJ and or ice tea

Eggs are good
Whole grains are good
Pizza and Hamburgers = bad.
You're consuming too much fat, not necessarily calories. Most college cafeterias have other healthier options you can have for your main course, such as vegetarian lasagna, hummus and pita bread, grilled chicken etc. Eat more veggies, straight protein, and lots of fiber.
