hate cardio, has asthma, want def. Anonymous
i hate cardio, i always ran slowest in gym class. when gym finally ended ~8 years ago, my heart and lung pain from exercise finally ended too.

i've got no definition for my pecs. am i supposed to just 1) actually count my god damn calories 2) do more cardio than a 15 minutes commute bicycling as fast as my squeaky bike will take me? i've got good calfs, but that's all from biking

the point is just to drain my fat-pooled-coating layer covering over my muscles? Also want a visible faggoty v line and maybe abs, instead got some slightly lovely handles going. (i've been weight training for a year, and greatly fixed nutrition, to visible ends.)

5'6" 145 lbs.

You seem to already know the answer to your own question. Are you here to ask us if we have some miraculous alternative weight loss method?

5'6" 145lbs is fat?

but why did i get god damned pain in the chest running? no one else did, well at least no complained. Then I was overweight, at 180 lbs, height naturally the same.

To invest that first god damn hour in running track, I'm just going to get winded after 0.5 km run and want to abandon the whole seemingly fruitless endeavor for another few months.

If you're unfit, of course you'll get some kind of pain in your chest/side/wherever. You could see if it's medical related, but I personally feel it's because you're unfit.
Get used to cardio. Do more and more everyday and it seriously won't suck anymore. It'll RULE.

As Sabby said, an ECG can't hurt you if you are in doubt.
Otherwise you have to consider that the heart is a muscle too and needs training.
The oxygen system of your body can be trained too.

obviously your lungs are not in shape. Running i think is the best way to get into cardio shape. But if you hate running try swimming laps and underwater and stuff to help build your lungs up a little bit more.

so just cardio cures this?

I suppose a doctor can prescribe an ECG?... but do doctors even care about measuring me at peak failure with running on a treadmill or some shit first? i thought they only want to prescribe drugs because it's consensus medicine they're allowed to practice. btw i'm in canada

every doctor worth his money will make a fitness check including an ECG with you, if you have concerns.
Imagine you had a heart problem and started to exercise and then drop dead.
Should not be a problem to find a sports doc either.

Cardio will cure all fat.

You should also lift weights. Do what is comfortable until fitness level rises.

>>20755
yeah, i've been doing that as per my OP.

had a good trainer for a year, so i know lots about that. we never did cardio anything though, just kept up the pace with avoiding breaks between sets.

damnit, i can't find my benefits package. i think i get 400$ coverage for "sports doctor", not sure though. other than that i think i'll have to pay out the ass.

>every nutritionist/physical therapy specialist worth his money will make a fitness check including an ECG with you, if you have concerns.

doctors will just point you to one of these guys. Seriously though physicians for maladies only, others for sports therapy. I'm not belittling the fields, but doctors tend to specialize, a good one will know who to point you to though.

On the brightside, if he's ever stuck out in the rain, he can just take shelter under his stomach.

doesn't that only happen when you lose a lot of weight really fast and the skin doesn't have time to adjust or does that always happen? i would have thought the former.. but.. anyone?

Guy used to weigh 600 lb, lost a shitton of weight and now is all skin. Pic is old though, he's gotten some surgery since then.

OP, i'm in the same situation as you.
I'm still confused as what to do.

With running and weight loss I saw results instantly within the first week, but with weight training it's so hard to tell if i'm making any progress.

what would be smartest thing to invest in? bench press? free weights?

eat more protein rich foods.. the only way you'll see muscle build up and make sure you keep active, don't take many breaks, you need at least 30 minutes of constant exercise to start burning fat and i assume that's the same thing for building muscle.. eat more eat more eat more
