Pretty cool idea I guess, if you were training speed and reflexes for sports or something.

Backpack of Bricks > Weighted Clothing

not considering the price factor, why is that?

That seems like it'd hurt your back.

It seemed to serve Goku pretty well. At some point, though, the strength you gain from it will make the extra weight negligible and you'll have to move on to gravity rooms.

this particular suit starts off at 10 lbs, but you can increase it up to 30. I'd imagine you can add more weight pads than though. That is, if you REALLY wanted to.

And yes, Goku is the man, but I'd love a serious response

Lower back injury.

Anyway people who run track and stuff do it to become faster, and I'd assume some resistance wouldn't hurt when doing HIIT sprints and such, which is what I'm doing right now. And it's ofc guaranteed to burn more calories.

The /fit/ jury is out on whether any results from weights would last after removing the weights, or whether the joint stress is worth it.

anyone think that it'd be worth the 180 or 190 $ to try it out?

maybe a weighted vest would be cheaper? I personally wouldn't do anything high impact with weighted clothes. A long hike with some added weight should yield some results though.

Ankle, arm, and vest weights are cheaper. Weight is weight.

except that it isn't. weights on the ankles are totally different from weights on the thighs.

Generally body weights are deemed detrimental to training. Ignoring the fact that it throws off your natural balance and coordination and possibly cause damage to the distal joints, we find that the weights dont really provide much of a challenge due to the facts that you will simply perform the activity slower and adapt fairly quickly to it.
Also, while weight vests are quite useful when it comes to things like bodyweight training they are useless for doing much else, due to the fact you arent in control of the weight when in motion.
As mentioned before the same effect can be gotten from a backpack of bricks, at a fraction of the cost.

I always thought it was a cool idea, but I don't think it is realistically worth the stress it puts on you, specifically for joints.

It could take quite a toll after a while, and joints don't recover as easily.
