The guy has obviously done some serious training. it looks like a mix of strength and bulking exercises targeting all areas. He's got good symmetry and proportion. No one area is over defined and stabilizing groups were included. In other words, he didn't do 60 sets of any one exercise or spend hours a day on curls.

So, the answer is he did a lot of simple multi-group exercises like squats, deadlifts, pull-ups. Mix in some (but not hundreds) of crunches and a good bulking diet.

He probably also did some bench pressing, judging by his shoulders and pecs.

But you generally get those lines from having low body fat percentage + having worked your obliques and abs.
That's how I have mine anyway. Also OP, like me, has weird abs..

the answer is: low body fat. Abdominal muscles show when there is not fat covering them.
