Monday night I woke up from sleep and I heard some people fighting outside of my dorm. I was petrified to move because it sounded like Some kid smashing another's head into a door down the way. While i was listening, I heard my roommate say to me, "You hear that down the hall too?" I replied but then i called out his name but i saw that he was fast asleep. I went to sleep trying to ignore it but i kept having dreams that i was drifting through walls and buildings in the position that i was asleep in and people were dying as I floated near them. I would snap awake and hear gibberish about killing people. This happened three times that night. I am sure as fuck not telling a psychologist

tl dr: has /fit/ ever actually heard voices like this before

its common to be confused immediately after a dream.

hell after going around catching spiders in my backyard for my biology class yesterday, i ended up having dreams about spiders. each time I woke up in the middle of the night I had hallucinations that there were spider webs on my pillows or a spider crawling on my wall. I turned my lights on to smash them, and realized they were never even there. I've had the same thing happen to be me with bedbugs after reading a thread about parasites and bedbugs.

it's just your dreams overlapping into your consciousness.

Try being in a 'waking dream' or whatever. Shit's fucked up, can't move or anything but you can see around your room.

OK. If you were conscious and then heard your roommate, and then ended up in a sort of hallucination/dream that was really fucked up like that you might want to worry about schizophrenia or something like that... If it turns out you were just dreaming the whole time... that's fucking nothing. I've had crazier shit in dreams than that you fucking pussy. Grow a pair of dream-balls.

It's called sleep paralysis, I use to suffer pretty badly from it, until the past 5 years where they have considerably calmed down. Your nightmares act out in your room, while you can't move your body, but your eyes are open. It fucking sucks balls.

Lucid dreaming is hard as fuck to do, been trying for months to get one going but always just keep myself awake and then get pissed.

On occasion I can do it, maybe once or twice a year, totally by accident. I hear this isn't all that common without training, so I'm glad I can pull it off.

Of course, there's only two things I ever do when I'm lucid dreaming: flying or fucking.

Once I woke up to the sound of whispering coming from the bathroom, and a weird flickering light. Wasn't gonna check but I went in anyway cos I needed a piss. So I went in anyway, and the whispering is incoherent but gets louder as I walk towards it, sounds kinda like several voices. The light is quite obviously some sort of naked flame, and I could see it relatively clearly in the mirror opposite, well, the portion of the bathroom that was lit up. The moment I step into the bathroom the whispering stops dead and the light stops. It's an open bathroom with the only enclosed space being where we keep the linen, so I checked in there but there was fuck all there. So I go back to my room, a bit shaken at this point and then the whispering starts again. I decide to lie in my bed and try to catch random words but it really was crap, there wasn't an English word spoken. It gradually faded away and I just decided to fuck off to sleep after lying there for a good 30 mins wondering what it was.

Sometimes when I'm on the verge of sleeping but I still have conscientiousness I hear voices.

Weird things that have no relevance to anything in my life, spoken in voices I have never heard before.

It's never bothered me.
