Underweight Anonymous
In a world of overweight people, I would like to know how to gain more. I'm pretty underweight at 5' 6" and only 115lbs or so. Yes, very skinny. I'm half korean and half american (German stock).

Any ideas on what foods to eat specifically and what weights to start with for strength training?

Oh, I don't know... How about you try THE SAME FUCKING HEALTHY FOOD EVERYONE EATS and eat twice as much? Also, less cardio, more lifting.

What's your body fat? If it's low, try to keep it that way while you bulk. Chances are you'll have an easy time, if you're 5'6, 115lbs and not even trying to stay that way it's likely you have a fast metabolism.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw52.htm try this one out, it's good for beginners. Start with a preset program like this and as you learn more (Google everything, scour the internet for resources and information), you can begin creating and customizing your own.

As for what food to eat, if you have trouble taking food down, go for healthy fats, olive oil helps a lot. Make liquid protein shakes consisting of whey/casein, you can use powder or cottage cheese, add fruit, add milk, add olive oil, add peanut butter, whatever, just get it down. You can still eat healthy and calorie dense.

Good luck.

Yea my body fat percentage is around four or five percent. Thanks for all the information so far!
Is it recommended to drink 2% milk vs. skim?

At that low you've got plenty of wiggle room so don't be TOO afraid to eat, I just don't like the idea of "bulk" and "cut" phases, it's not always necessary to become a fat shit whilst gaining muscle.

And yes, 2% milk is great for muscle gain.
