I heard squats are good. Are they? If so, explain. Also, explain proper squatting technique, other types of squat exercises, or just squatting tips in general.

It's good for somethings...but if you want a good ass and strong legs, i would just get on an exercise bike on high resistance for 20-30 minutes a day...

It's simple really. Your hips must only travel a few inches. Going anywhere near paralel is bad for the knees. You only need a few inches for optimal mutant growth.
More weight more growth.
I'm still skinny, but people are really impressed when they see me squatting my bodyweight.

get the bar on your shoulders. get your ass back, this will keep your knees in position. drive your knees outwards, like you're trying to spread the floor apart. squat until you get just below parallel. keep the weight on your heels. take a big breath and hold it before you start your descent. you should have the sensation of pushing your hips forwards. try not to pancake at the bottom, keep upright. having to good morning the weight sucks.

AFAIK main problem most people have is with how much they bend their knees. Bending til your thighs are parallel to the floor is the proper technique I believe.
