Hey what kind of workout plan/routine does /fit/ have? I'm just curious what others do.

Was curious what people thought of mine.. if you'd change anything, add a muscle to a day of strength training because it's sort of part of the group and also what SHOULD I add to thursdays? I want to add more strength training but I have NO IDEA what to do.

Sunday - Biceps, Shoulders, Traps
Monday - 1 hour running, pushups, ARX
Tuesday - Triceps, bench press (pectorals)
Wednesday - 1 hour running, pushups, ARX
Thursday - Off day
Friday - 1 hour running, pushups, ARX
Saturday - Official rest/off day/ cheat day (at a meal of my choice, it can be made of cancer for all I care).

60, 40, 30, 20, 20 Push-ups
300 Crunches
100 4-count Bicycle kicks
30 4-count flutter kicks
130 Sit-ups (different variations)
5 sets of 30 calf raises
More push-ups (different variations) until muscle failure.
Then I'll run for 4 miles.

I basically do this everyday unless it's shitty outside. Then I'll just cut the run.

Hmm It's wokring out pretty well so far, just looking for some serious suggestions. My legs are pretty beastly from running, so not sure why I'd want squats.

the problem with it is that you are hitting the same muscles on back to back days, and you really aren't working out your back. quite simply put you are forgetting some major muscles and you're not giving some muscle groups no rest at all.

Ah ok, hmm. Any thoughts on what I should do? I just go to the gym and do my own thing, should I actually go to the gym front desk and ask for advice? I've been doing this routine of mine for like 2 months now.

well my triceps feel fine, the only real feeling I get in them is the day I concentrate on them with free weights... or is the constant use of them a bad idea.. since they are only resting 3 days a week?

a lot of the shoulder exercises include some kind of triceps involvement, with some involving the triceps more than others. for example the shoulder press, a perfect example of how to develop your shoulders, greatly involves the triceps. so on sunday you're hitting them, on monday you're hitting the b/c of the pushups, you're hitting them twice on monday but i'll count it as one, and on thurs you're doing them again...

3 day workout week

day 1 - pushing muscles, abs
day 2 - pushing muscles, abs
day 3 - abs/rest. (every second 3rd day i rest completely)

i run and cycle 5 out of every 6 days. i run 5 or 6 miles at a time. i cycle for an equal amount of time that particular day that i have run or plan on running, so if i run for around 45-50 mins, i also cycle that long. only one triathlon held every year here in gtmo, so i have to be content with short races as competition until then.

Hey it's OP.

I just did my Sunday workout and off to work, any suggestions for a type of muscle to work on thursdays? maybe back? Or maybe add more cardio, like swimming?
