My brother is way into Asian culture and got a rice cooker and ate the shit outa his rice. We talked and pondered on how well a rice-based diet would work. We were talking mainly for the idea of fat-loss.

The rice, in our case, is white jasmine rice. Plain and Simple.

How well would it work if you ate primarily rice. Well, rice doesn't have that much nutritional value, does it? That's when we throw in the proper amounts of vitamin and mineral supplements. And also, for protein, whey mix.

If that isn't enough, what if we were to add some fruits and vegetables such as: Apples, Pears, Carrots, Corn, Celery, Grapes, just to name a few.

How well would this work? If there isn't too much bad feed back I'm going to try this diet and perhaps my brother will too.

its a whole lotta carbs, if you're trying to bulk up it would work but only if you supplemented with protein shake

switch to brown rice. And wash your rice before cooking to get the uneeded starch off.

I don't think you understand what an Asian diet is...

No part of Asia eats rice like it's the main dish, it's omnipresent, but it's not the bulk of the meal. We eat all sorts of other dishes to adorn the rice, the rice is just there as a base food. It's like... bread in your society, you eat a lot, but you wouldn't eat a meal with only bread.

It's easier to wash it after it's cooked.

Cook it, then rinse it off with boiling water.
