Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. It's a rather rare one, about 1/10000 kids get it. It is mainly a shutdown of blood supply to at least one of the femoral heads, which causes bone necrosis and, eventually, loss of femoral bone in the hip articulation.
You need to use some shitty metallic thing in your leg for a couple of years, and the bone is supposed to regenerate, BUT, sometimes it regenerates with a good shape (spherical) and sometimes, it does not.
I kid you not, mine didn't shape properly ("llueve sobre mojado" or "rains over a wet place" as we would say in mexico) and this results in limited range of motion, and some pain from the articulation. Because of the misshapen bone, my cartilage will wear out fast and i cannot jog / run / brisk walk / walk a lot / do SQUATZ because i'd be fucking it still faster.
In a few years, i will develop osteoarthritis in that articulation and i'll need either a hip resurfacing or a hip replacement.
Because of this condition, i often rage when i see lazy people who doesnt make use of their bodies the way they are meant to be used, or i get sad when i see people playing soccer, or jogging.
I miss the feeling of running as fast as i can and the feel of my face pushing the air aside, good old times.
Shit sucks, it has marked me for life but it's not over, i just started swimming and i found it as a good substitute for the things i used to do.
