VELOCITY DIET Anonymous
wtf? is this for real? im not into diets, i think they're a silly alternative to learning to eat fruits & veggies...

im intrigued, though. what's your experience w/ this? as i understand it, you basically just eat protein shakes, fiber and fish oil?

looks like dogshit. Google anabolic diet.

Velocity diet is a great lead-in to the anabolic diet.

I am on it and have been for 3 weeks now. I lost 11% bodyfat and 24 pounds so far. I've also gone up a notch or two in my arms and thighs while decreasing my waist and gut.

It isn't even that hard of a diet to follow, hell, it's the easiest one I've ever been on.

r u srs?!

honestly, all scientific metrics (i.e. max fat loss/muscle gain) say that's impossible

What? What metrics? What data did you plug into your funny little metrics? Because it wasn't my data.

I plan on trying the velocity diet for my cutting phase this summer, although I'll have to do the math and see how much it'll friggin cost.

Guy who wrote that article says he lost 16 lbs, almost all fat, in 28 days.

ahm sain, the whole "cant lose more than 2-3 lbs of fat per week" and i think ".5 lbs of muscle per week" tings

that's the other thing...given the cost of protein...wouldnt this be expensive as all hell?
>> Anonymous
A 2.5lb tub of protein costs about 16 bucks at Vitamin World.
They also have 250softgels of fishoil for like 8.99

Vitamin World is your best bet to get everything you need cheaply

You're also not buying food for a whole month so yeah... I don't see it as much more expensive than regular grocery shopping (specially since I'm on anabolic and spend at least 500 a month.)

Why would you even need fiber? What, you're going to have trouble shitting out shakes?

From what I understood from the T-nation article, it accelerates fat loss.

You can buy whatever low carb protein shakes you want (you can get ones that are like $8 US a pound, if not cheaper if you can stomach unflavoured)

As for the fishoil softgels, you'll probably want flameout instead if you're a weight lifter, MUCH easier on the joints.

so no one's calling bullshit here?
no "you're going to gain it all back" ?
no "do you really expect to live on a liquid diet forever" ?

Feedback from people who have truly stayed within the boundaries of the diet is positive so far. One of the effects of the diet is that it "reprograms" your taste buds, according to multiple dieters. After they follow through with the diet for the month, they find it hard to eat anything shitty for you. Of course, it's a rather new diet, so long term (8+ years) dedication to eating healthy hasn't been proven yet.
