>>How often are you working out I work nights, and my workdays are kind of weird, so whenever I can. Usually 4 to 5 days a week, sometimes one day after the other, sometimes spread out. >>and what are you doing? I don't have set routines or stick to the exact same exercises every workout. But I do use only free weights (try to stay away from machines if I can help it, but my workplace's weight room doesn't have a bench, so I can only use a bar at home or my gym) with high weight (as high as I can go without sacrificing good form..that's counter-productive..) and try to stay away from cardio. The only thing I can say I have set in stone per week is that I try to raise what I lift by 3-5 pounds.
>>Also, how are you taking in protein?
http://www.netnutri.com/browse.cfm/4,1456.html Usually 3 times per day. Sometimes 2, if I don't have time or simply space it out. 510 calories and 46 grams of protein per serving. Mixed with milk instead of water, and that goes up a bit.
Also, yes, chicken is a great source of protein. Easier to prepare, and cheaper, though, is tuna. Mix up a can with some mayonnaise and you've got a high-protein and calorie snack right there, bruddah.
