hey /fit/ this has nothing do do with muscles, so i apologize in advance.

My old man has chronic pancreatitis from being a chain smoking alcoholic who eats at bars all the time. obviously the cause. But what can i do as his kid to help him out. He does not respond to motherly tactics... and i am just at a loss as to what i can do.

you guys seem more serious then any other board out there, so maybe a little insight, even if it is an hero or barrel rolls cause some people gotta get that out of thier systems.

Well, I don't know what to say. I tried to stop my parents from smoking for years, although they have never had any huge health issues due to it.

All I can say is that of someone doesn't want to be saved, and doesn't ask for help, there is very little you can do. You could try guilt, but that rarely works and might make him feel worse. What kind of person is he?
