Hey /fit/, I recently decided I wanted rockin' legs as seen in the picture. I've never been a fatty, but like a lot of girls I've had my problem areas around the thighs. So I figured out my BMR and decided to cut down to a decent amoutn of calories, and I have a job that keeps me on the go for about 6 hours. Of course, I also want to start HIIT, using the jump rope most likely. I just want to know, is this going to make me bulk up in the legs really badly? I just remember seeing a woman with a petite body, but these muscular legs like tree trunks, and it's the last thing I want. Any advice on HIIT beginners?

No, I'm not a dude. If I were a dude I'd still want Scarlett Johansons legs just to freak people out..

No; the only thing that will bulk up your legs "like tree trunks" is steroids.

Ah, okay, thanks, I appreciate it.

While this isn't necessarily untrue, I just want to point out that doing something like gross amounts of weight on squats or leg presses are going to make you bulk up a little, while running or jump rope normally won't.

But yeah, it shouldn't be too bad unless you take steroids.

Yeah, a bit of toning to show that I'm at least healthy. I don't want my boyfriend to run his hand on my leg and feel huge muscles and such.

I couldn't think of anyone else, really. Most movie starlets have either really undefined or really thin unhealthy legs. Ijust think she's pretty. :'D

I feel compelled to point out that long, skinny legs are a complete turn-off for some men.

I just watched a video about it, I think on the HIIT website, he just showed different techniues to help get your heart rate up, as well as using a certain type of rope so you can jump faster.
