Pushups.

So May 11th I was able to do 5 pushups... I thought I could a lot more but I was shocked.

Today is August 26 and I can do about 100 now.. I do 10 sets of 10.

The question I have is wrist pain... any type of surface, wood, carpet, mat, gloves on... my left wrists acts up at about 70ish to 100 pushups..

is there any way around this? Should I cut back to let my rest rest?

I do 100 pushups every two days, I'm 6'4" and 204 lbs.. is it just my size that puts the strain on my wrist? I don't really want to do more than 100 if the pain is there.

thanks.

Yeah i get what you mean, I'll try it right now on the floor to get the form right.. it sounds like it would hurt my knuckles though, or does it just 'sound' like it will?

You should do them on a grip handle. Find some cheap pushup stands or use a pair of dumbbells.

i've seen a change in my chest, shoulders and arms... your second question confuses me a bit... if you meant other exercises I work my biceps, triceps, traps , shoulders and pectorals too.. was just curious about the wrist pain only occurring during pushups.

I think it might, if it does do the pushups on exercise mats or a carpeted floor.
