Too many pushups? Anonymous
Lately, I've been doing the random exercise program that's been going around /b/ - just the simple version with pushups, situps, and jumping jacks.

I find that most times, I do more 15-rep sets of pushups than my body can handle. I end up breaking them down into 3 sets of 5, and if I'm unlucky, I end up having to finish off doing girl pushups.

I've only been doing this for about a week and a half, and my chest and arm muscles seem thicker and more toned, but because they haven't recovered, they don't seem to be getting stronger.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of single body part over-working? Do you eventually just adapt and get good results?

Well, I used to 'practice' for an anual push-up competition with friends. I'd do 45 fast push-ups and 55 normal ones, slow and steady. Two weeks non-stop.

My joints still fucking hurt. My advice is to just take it slow, you don't have to do it just because a post on 4chan told you so. Yes, I realize the irony of my advice.

Next time, reroll or just pick the second to last number of your post.
