Hey /fit/,

Every time I do a push up, I always get this clicking in my left elbow as I go down.

It doesn't really cause any discomfort, but after doing 3 sets of 15 the day before yesterday, I have a slight ticklish ache there now if I bend my arm all the way in.

I was just wondering whether it is anything relatively serious, or will the clicking disappear with more practice, seeing as I've only recently started?

Thanks in advance

I have the exact same thing. I'm worried that one day I'm gonna do a push up and my elbow's going to snap in half

It might be that you need to work on your form: you could be putting strain on your elbow in a weird way. I get the same thing in my shoulder when I do upright rows improperly.
If it's not your form, maybe you have a bone fragment or something like that in your joint, in that case see your doc.

Ticklish feelings are bad and will lead to long term problems. Find a different way to do them, or just stop doing them at all.

Don't ignore your aches and pains or youll have to go to the physiotherapist like i did

I don't want to see the future if I can't squat.

I have the same problem. Its just the joint clicking, nothing wrong with your form. I found that taking omega 3 / fish oil tablets helped a little bit ( they keep the joints supple ) but the problem is still there. Annyoing but I have to live through it.

It's called crepitus.
My left knee klicks when doing squatz, I ignore it, cause it does not hurt or hinder me in any way.

Try taking a glucosamine supplement, particularly if your family is prone to osteoarthritis.
