rowing machines /fit/ how good are they for burning calories?and what price range / brand do you suggest?also, whats the deal with different resistance types, like Air, Magnetic, etc, and what are the pro's and cons of each type.

they're not particularly complicated machines, any should be ok.

Whats the difference between 30 mins treadmill and 30 mins rowing machine? Surely the pay off is pretty similar?
