Brown rice (more filling), beans [you can live on the god damn stuff], some cheap veggies (like carrots), cheap nuts (like peanuts), cheap vegtable oil, pepper, some cheap spices, salt, a multivitamin. Buy these all in bulk and they can last you a long long time. Get a $10 dollar rice cooker from wallmart, it will save you A LOT of hassle and time when cooking rice. DO NOT EAT OUT, cook a whole bunch at once to save time and you can bring it with you. If you must, try eating at a subway w/ their sub of the day. Pretty decent, healthy meal for $3. Hell you could just eat a 6inch sub for each meal and your food expenses would come to $270 a month (45 foot long subs a month). Maybe you can get a special bulk deal [talk to the owner/manager about this, not an employee] from them and make it even cheaper. Tell him you'll bring your business to another subway if they're not willing.
