/fit/, while I was never morbidly obese, I always LOVED diet coke. The regular stuff was always to sweet for me, but now since I'm getting healthier I'd like to cut soda out. I know everyone is all PUT DOWN SODA DRINK WATER, but isn't there anything to jazz it up a bit? I know there's crystal light, but I was wondering if /fit/ had any other suggestions?

im addicted as hell to caffeine, so coffee was my way out of diet coke.

Better for ya in almost every way

I just gotta make sure I'm not going anywhere after I have a couple cups cuz I always take a massive shit within the hour.

green tea is better than coffee and soda, and it has caffeine. DRINK IT.

Are you kidding me?
I mean, if you're a troll,2/10. If you aren't, enjoy your no nutritional value at all.

>>260703
YES. I love me some green tea, and usually hae a cup of it with m bowl of oatmeal in the morning and before I go to bed. I was thinking of chilling it with some lemon for a better replacement for water during school. Thanks.

Do you grind up coffee granules and snort them? Do you dissolve caffeine tablets and IV them?

Caffeine addiction is the lowest form of addiction, be a man and shoot some smack.

No...I'm not kidding you. I'm addicted to caffeine and got away from soda altogether when I started drinking coffee. Neither has much nutritional value, but coffee is better overall.

I just couldn't ever get into green tea, can't stand the taste. Although I drink my coffee strong and black, so go figure.

Man, I knew a guy who was so bad with his cafeine addiction he had awful side affects. Not only cramps in the abdomen and puking, but he would actually experience vision loss for up to a day sometimes. Try drinking regular tea with some milk and sugar instead, a fraction of the caffeine in both, it's all about weening yourself off, friend.

lol did your friend die that way? I bet it wasn't funny.

Ice. Ice + water.

You'll learn to love it, and once you start you won't stop. Though i won't lie to you and tell you that you won't ever crave soda again.

I don't know what kind of dumbfucks other people are, but soda never stops tasting good.

Its not THAT bad with me. I have 2 cups of coffee in the mornings when I get up and sometimes one when I get to work at 3.

Tried quitting, got massive headaches for 3 days and gave up on giving up.

Ah, so regular kind of intake deal. Maybe I just don't like coffee because my friends grandma had the nastiest coffee teeth ever. Makes me shudder just to think about it.

I honestly think that caffeine "addiction" is primarily a mental thing. I was drinking at least 4 cans of soda every day for years and switched straight to water when I started training. I didn't expect any side effects or withdrawals and didn't experience any.

I started drinking unsweetened iced tea. You can even get fruit and berry blends that are 0 calorie 0 sweeteners

because there's no such thing as caffeine withdrawal, amirite?

Yes.

If you are serious about getting healthy, you need to make sacrifices. Dropping soda has to be one of them. Just man up and drink water. Christ.

there's nothing wrong with diet soda, drink it up.

It's just another thing /fit/ tries to make up. drinking water is, of course, better than you because of no caffeine or acids that could upset your stomach, but since it has nearly no nutritional value other than a little sodium, it's fine.

yeah except if you drink a lot of diet soda and not enough water, you cramp easily.

and while there's still no conclusive proof on the long term effects of artificial sweeteners, most people probably feel safer avoiding them.

how does vitamin water measure up?

50 calorie water. 50 fucking calories...for flavored water.

At the very least skip that and grab propel, at least that's only 20 cals
>> Anonymous
>>260856
don't even try that.

>>260862

yeah, I guess it doesn't make much sense. Regular water it is

Listen.

Calorie free soda has no calories in it. If your goal is fat loss, you need to cut calories. Drink as much fucking diet soda as you want.

Unless you're at a point where you have zero metabolism, are sensitive to the fake sugars, or you're trying to lower your body fat from 7% to 6%, soda is fucking fine.

Well, yes, weight loss is part, before I start to tone more, however, since there's a lot of sugar I didn't know if I should be dropping it 100% or just only having it as a treat.
