Is there an exercise that one can perform in the substitute for pull ups/chin ups that doesn't require the bar?

how the fuck do you have access to a lat pulldown machine but not a horizontal piece of piping elevated above your head?

why do you want to do pull ups/chin ups? its a good assistance exercise for either muscular endurance or if done with added weight -strength, if you want to build a bigger back you should be doing BoR and standing overhead press.

if you want to get good at doing them, then you should do them- no exercise substitute will suddenly make you good at pullups or chinups.

why am i being somewhat rude to you? because you sound too lazy to find a tree branch or a kid's playground, or god forbid set up a chinup bar yourself, they cost like 20 bucks on ebay and it mounts to your door. you could even go and buy the materials and diy.
