Vegan is tough as hell, but not impossible. >good stuff to eat Peanut butter sandwich on healthy bread should be a regular event, along with mixed nuts. That gives a nice chunk of protein right there. Wal-Mart (I know, I hate it too) sells these General Value granola bars that are fortified with B12, which is the only thing vegans are in any actual danger of missing, despite all the phony nutritionists/meat propagandists. If you don't like Wal-Mart, you might have to settle for Chocolate Soy Milk & Cereal, both of which have B12 (and a variety of other good stuff). Most Americans eat TOO MUCH protein according to nutrionists, so don't fret too much about the "OMG PROTEIN!!!!" crowd, but do make sure you're keeping things in balance. Oh, also, Penne pasta is another good one. Omega-3, protein, great carbs, etc.
>stuff not to wear Uh, buy pleather instead of leather. Everything else is pretty obvious.
I'm just vegetarian now, but I lost 80 pounds of pure fat on a vegan diet, and have no regrets.
