Work on your forearm and core strength. Lots of grip work and deadlifts, squatz, and rotational ab work, like full contact twists and russian twists.

i'd give you a 30 yard advantage and bet my left nut plus a substantial amount of money that the dude in the pic, a famous baseball player, would hit the end zone 30-40 yards before you. i could come up with a huge list of similar baseball players.

in the end, it is surprisingly 'unathletic' sport compared to the specimens of other popular sports.

baseball is much more of a technique/skill sport, akin to golf, than it is to hockey or football (where lifting is what they do 60% of the year)

still, with demand to play so high, baseball can indeed be quite selective, so they CAN have the best of both worlds, in the terms of highly skilled/technique players who are also tremendous athletes

although weights has significantly affected my distance as well as ball speed off the bat (shootin' bullets @ infielders), also, i'm lil bit faster too. so i can stretch singles to doubles and get on when otherwise i would have been thrown out @ first.
