So it's been talked about before, but what about a /fit/ competition?

I propose a date of June 1st for the following categories:

Most Weight Lost
Most Muscle Gained
Best Improvement
Best Overall Body

Any other categories? Everyone who wants to be judged will need a Before picture from about now and then an after picture taken on June 1st. Maybe we'll do judging on June 2nd for all the time differences.

Thoughts?

I was more considering a /fit/ contest at otakon instead of over the imageboard, but obviously organized through here. That way the winners are obviously known, and possibly could get rewards for their hard work.

It's a novel idea, but I honestly don't believe it could get off the ground.

Regardless, all the luck to you.

People would have to go to otakon for that as well. I've never gone, dont really plan on it.

If we could get a Mod to sticky something for us about a contest, we could do both. An online judging and an Otakon one. It would need to be soon though, to start. Dont know when Otakon is, but 3 months is about right for a contest like this.

Otakon is in mid august, I'm probably going to be going.

So that would make the contest from May til August. We could do that, its a long ways off, but /fit/ is pretty strong (heh) so will probably become a new board permanently.

Currently i weigh 450lb, have very very little muscle, but by june first I'm going to have lost the most weight, gained the most muscle had the best improvement and have the best overall body, so i suggest the rest of you guys just give up now.

Thats the thing though, for the most part you measure in percentages for contests like this. You can measure in total fat lost (problem is totalfat measurements can be costly[i think]).

The other way is based on how good you look, which people vote for, but on an anonymous board, thats impossible as well.

lol, a conundrum.

Yeah they wouldn't really be a prize or anything, but it could help motivate some. I was thinking on the day we post, everyone posts the 'before' photo and the 'after' photo as one image and it has to be identifiable as the same person - same pants, or some identifying trait, like the same poster on the wall or something.

People can and will lie about the actual number of pounds lost or muscle gained, but when paired with the pictures we could sort of tell what is bullshit and what isnt.

Best Transformation is a good category. BodyBuilding.com does that.

Sucks for the people who are already fit and aren't trying to be bodybuilders.

why not just a "best body" contest as well? Just tantoo /fit/ on your chest, lol.

Could still win Best Overall.

Or we could also add in general things like
Best Arms
Best Calves
Best Chest

Most Toned
Most Athletic

I'm sure most people here aren't really going for pure muscle size. I dont want to be a Jay Cutler type body builder, but am working in building up significant muscle size. Arms are 19" right now, though after I finish cutting down for the Muscle Beach Venice Classic they'll probably be down more like 18.5 or so.

Nah, I have very ugly muscles and I'm not symetrical, my abdomen slides off to the right and the rest of me is a bit to the left.

>>20157
I could to this and have no problems whoreing myself out like that.

same, I was actually planning on it.

This sounds pretty cool. I just started working out 3 times a week to obtain muscles (skinny fag).

Best ManBeard!

I would win manbeard no doubt in my mind! Shame I dont want to plaster my face on this board (or any board) but I had some straight up Cowboy facial hair for New Years, big mustache, goatee, triangle, all disconnected. Was epic.

It's all genetics, man, the winners have already been determined.

Real winners tell genetics to shut the fuck up, and then do 5000 pushups just to prove them wrong.

of course, your not a real winner, now are you.
