I am a 19 y/o female with stretch marks on my stomach. I weigh 200lb, and I have friends who are 200+ without them :(. This isn't fair, why me?

I started working out recently though, all kinds of cardio and weights(upper and lower body). I usually do arm curls alot and such, and I used to have stretch marks there(my arms) to but now they have almost completely faded away and so far I have lost 7 pounds. Do you guys think its from the exercise or the weight loss? If so, what kind of exercise should I do to make the ones on my stomach fade?

Oh yeah, I have never been pregnant either so its kind of strange that I got 'em.

Nothing will make them fade. But if you get a body like this, noone will care in the slightest.

Stretch marks are a part of life and the vast majority of people will get them somewhere if they haven't gotten them already. Even if your friends don't have any now, if they ever get pregnant, they probably will get them then.

Stretchmarks happen when your skin can't keep up with a growing body. The skin essentially tears at the deepest levels and the rifts fill with blood, which is why they're red or purple colored when new. Eventually, scar tissue will form in the cracks and the marks will fade to a silvery-white color.

Once you have gotten stretch marks, they will never go away. There's nothing you can do to get rid of them, only wait until they fade in color.

You can try and prevent stretchmarks by making sure you don't gain weight or muscle too quickly. Some say that losing weight too fast can cause stretch marks as well, but I've never PERSONALLY seen that happen. But my anecdotal "evidence" shouldn't be considered fact, obviously.

Didn't mean that they are fading away as in gone forever, they are just becoming less noticeable.

Thanks though :)

its genetic, some easily gets it and some never gets it. They appear when the body increase in size in a short period of time and the skin doesn't have the time to adapt properly

yeah, don't worry too much. just lose a lot of weight and boys will be more concerned with raping and murdering you than how you look.

but remember, fatty don't get no stalker.

They're still red, so laser treatment or retin-A might be able to remove them.
Cocoa butter, moisturizers with alpha-hydroxy and vitamin E are the only things I can think of that you can do at home to help with that.
Exercise will not get rid of stretch marks.

Also, see a dermatologist because just losing 7 pounds doesn't cause stretch marks like that. 70 yeah, but not 7. :/

Actually losing weight causes loose skin, gaining causes stretching. So. Something caused the skin in that area to expand very rapidly.

Check your water intake. And you do look a bit preggo in that pic.

Sorry, I was too blinded by the ugly to read the whole post.

OP: LOSE MORE FUCKING WEIGHT. Get out and walk you lazy cunt.
You probably got the stretch marks from ballooning up to 200lbs very quickly.
Stretch marks become less noticeable with time and when there isn't so much skin for them to be stretched over.

Well there you go then.

Exercise more, and it won't kill you to order off the healthy options menu.
