Explain HIIT to me please Anonymous
Yes, I'm a bit of a fat noob looking for a quick way to lose weight. And from lurking around, I've noticed a lot of people saying how good it works. I am willing to try this.

I've already cut down on the food I eat, no sugar or cooked things. But I'm looking for that extra edge to my weight loss that could speed it up (I wanna go to the beach next month and be proud of myself). I'm hoping HIIT will work.

Please help me.

>>no cooked things

Yes, because real men eat raw pork and beef. Enjoy your tapeworms.

I don't eat raw meat, but I make sure that I still get my proteins.

There's no quick way to do it. It's a complete lifestyle change. You have to eat right, always consider your calories you're eating, give up all drinks except water, start eating whole grains, no candy, whole grain pasta (best if no pasta is eaten), not much dairy, no fast food, ect... You'll be shoveling down vegetables, fruit, and lean meats like chicken breasts and fish (not fried but baked, grilled, ect).
Whenever you go out to eat you'll be thinking fuck I'm gonna have to run an extra 2 miles to make up for this.

Of course you don't HAVE to give it ALL up at once, but you will eventually need to wing yourself off of it.

It's not easy but you can do it, I started at 6' 286 and I'm down to 278 in a few weeks.

That being said, HIIT isn't really for fatasses starting out. Hit the bike or elliptical, the treadmill will hurt your knees. Give it a few weeks/months and you can start HIIT.

Unless you're in fairly good shape now, you won't really see results in a month. Plus if you want to look good, that usually involves having muscles showing, which will involve a lot of lifting. Losing weight and gaining muscle aren't usually done with success at once.

So basically, you waited too long to decide you want to get in shape now.

I'm still going to try it though, better late than never.

Yes you might as well start now. There's plenty of other times being fit will come in handy, not just at the beach.
What's your height and weight right now?
2 to 2.5 lbs of fat lost per week is considered the most you can do healthily.

Cooking shit doesn't raise calories or hurt you, wtf. Only things like frying in oil will cause the calories to rise. Cook your damn food OP. Bake or something, jesus.

You should especially cook your veggies, since your body can't completely break the uncooked food down to absorb all of the nutrients from the raw rood.
