I wanna play halfback for football next year. What are some things I can be doing to improve my speed and power? I'm gonna be working out at practice three days a week and I'll have a great gym to use during the summer. Any good exercises that you guys can suggest?

Clean & Jerk and Sled Drags. You can also do various jumps for that hip explosiveness.

2)to improve speed, add sprints into your jogging. When you are comfortable with running on hard pavement, go train at the beach. Consider looking into High Intensity Interval Training.

3) Bulk up. your body mass will be important in football.

Dragging the sled is greatness for the improving speed and power, I believe very strongly in the sled

Also hit the stairs and do box jumps if yer training facility has them

You need to work on getting the quick feet as well, don't neglect shuttle drills and the ropes

Also get out and play tag with your friends

Biggest thing ever is putting the work in though yo, If you put in the work you will get results

there is a harness you strap on, a chain from it connects to a sled, the sled can be loaded with weights as needed, run like a crazy son of a bitch until you pass out every other day, become a battering ram of a monster man!!
