I came across this "thinspiration" video (don't ask how) and realized that the chicks being idolized by anorexics as the epitome of anorexia look exactly like the more popular chicks at my college. If I weren't at the very bottom of the "healthy" weight range for my height and still CONSIDERABLY bigger than these chicks, I wouldn't even know there was a problem. So, in the off chance that any of the popular type chicks are browsing 4chan (ha!), or any one here has intimate knowledge of em, fess up - do you/they eat, or are you/they all rexing?

video here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=eywdr-fWwqk

An elite New England private liberal arts college. Any one will do, though they'll be hipster chicks, not sorority girls.
>> Anonymous
Most of the girls look fine. I'd only think some of them as rexic. It's just their body type, which is obviously ectomorphic.

inb4 "there is no such thing" blah blah blah. Yes there is, shut the fuck up. No matter how much you starve yourself, if you're naturally endomorphic, you'll never have the same body as an ecto.

The girls in the video are easily 30% underweight, with anorexic-emaciated BMIs. Look at the thighs.
>> Anonymous
>>205048
Please do tell us how you know their BMIs and where you're pulling these percentages out of?
>> Anonymous
>>205058
because their bodies (especially in the thigh and upper arm area) are comparable to the inflated, family-friendly and still sickly BMI's you can find published on often-photographs celebrities and models.

I have a normal BMI. AM I A JEALOUS FATTY YET?
>> Anonymous
>>205066
Yeah, some of the girls do. The second girl shown in the video I'd say is anorexic. Not all of them look sickly, though; just naturally skinny girls who may not eat all that much.

Which was the question - I'm sure there's a genetic component too, but I'm asking if anyone has FIRST HAND experience with these chicks and if they know whether they eat sustainably on a regular basis. I find it hard to believe that chicks this skinny at our age don't abound in the average population, but do at rich, cloistered LACs, and that that's a genetic and not an ED thing.
>> Anonymous
>>205100
I'm skinny, and I was starving myself... I guess I still am. I haven't worked up to eating more. Sure, they eat. They probably don't eat well or enough. They might indulge every so often. But I have an ED so... MEH. I'm a bad person to ask.

I dated a girl who was extremely skinny and ate normal meals. Not sure how that worked, but that's just how she was.
>> Anonymous
>>205118
Did she eat normal meals when she was around you? I ate hamburgers and shit when I dated some guy and that was just what he ate. But I was still not eating... just looked like I ate because I would eat the same amount if not more than him.
>> Anonymous
>>205140

She ate different stuff than I did (I actually ended up eating some of her stuff because I'd never tried it before). I wondered about shenanigans at the time, but really she didn't have any "clever" behaviors that were masking her not eating.

If you're asking about this because you want to get on an exercise/diet plan to make yourself look like the girl in that video OP, I think you might want to reconsider. I used to look like a few of those girls, and trust me, it's not worth it. I once got down to 85 pounds, and that was about the shittiest I've ever felt. I was weak and tired all the time, my clothes kept falling off of me, and I still thought that I needed to lose more. I pretty much ate one meal a day in the late afternoon, and drank lots of water and chewed gum to help the hunger pains. If I ever happened to binge, I just ran all of the calories off. I'm still struggling with anorexia to this day, although I'm doing much better. You don't have to listen to me if you don't want to, all I'm saying is don't go down that road.

Fuck you, being ana is better than having overeating problems. You're unhealthy as fuck in both cases, but at least you're considered hot if you're thin. You don't have it nearly as bad some 200 pound chick with a binge eating disorder.

>>205370

Protip: Unhealthily thin is just as unattractive, if not moreso, than unhealthily fat.
>> TheCodester
Meh, a super skinny girl/guy can always start eating and gain a few pounds, a super fat girl/guy can lose the weight... sure, over several months and leaves behind lots of excess skin... yep they're def the same... not to mention the extra risk of heart problems...etc.
>> Anonymous
>>205370
I never said that being anorexically thin WASN'T better than being morbidly obese. Ideally though, since both conditions will eventually lead to health problems and early death, one would like to find a happy medium.

ex-anorexic here.

Some people are naturally thin (ectomorph if you will), for me ...I'm a mesomorph and it took me eating less than 800 calories a day (sometimes I'd even eat less than 600) for 3 months to lose 20lbs.

And you have to either overexcercise or keep eating that little to keep it. I was extremely unhealthy. Today I weigh in at around 115-120lbs, and I still excercise every other day and consume around 1500-2000 calories per day to maintain it.

..Sometimes I wish I was still 103lbs though.

i wouldnt say i am, although my parents do. in 5'4 and just hit 95 lbs.i checked out a BMI chart, my weight's not even on it. my mom is skinny as well as my grandma and grandpa. i eat 2x a day. breakfast foods just disgust me a little. eggs, cereal, oatmeal ect. i just hate em all. if i do feel hungry in the morning ill eat a sandwich or chips.thats at break. then lunch,a sandwich or leftovers from yesterday. then snack at 3 or 4ish. later, dinner at 7.i dont eat much at any meal, it might be one or two things at most. i do eat all the normal fatty foods, pizza, hamburgers, soda, chips. i just dont seem to gain weight after eating them. although im not losing weight either; so no to tapeworms.
i never felt pressured to lose weight.the popular kids at my HS are all faggot mexicans. i wouldnt want to be near them. although my arms and legs do look like those in the OPs pic. i can feel my bone right through my arm, just skin and a thin layer of fat there.

tl;dr i eat everything in smaller amounts but i still look thinspire'd
>> Lil Dreamer !UYwMl8CsAs
>>205433
i'm male and asian, and i had about the same body types as the thinspo chicks before i started lifting. like you, i didn't eat breakfast. i'd snack on things now and then like a bag of chips or a can of soda. mostly though, i would end up eating an average of 1.5 meals a day. i was 115lbs at 5'7.

P.S. you might want to change your tripcode password.

My normal weight is in your current range. I'm on an 800-1000 calorie a day diet right now and I get mild hunger pains but don't feel starved, though maybe I will when I up the exercise. Were you exercising when you dropped those 20 lbs?

You're young. Your metabolism is not fully developed yet. Wait until you're 25 and start putting on weight randomly with no change in diet or lifestyle, you'll probably wish every day that you were still 17 when this happens.

If you're so concerned about it now, take up softball or something. Female softball players are always chunky looking

Oh, sorry - don't start, unless you think it'll help you get healthier. Figured you'd know....it's actually scary that you don't, it's like there's this unspoken girl secret that everyone knows and only the whiny obsessive pro-ana 12 year old girls talk about, in their own obnoxious way, that you've gotta be starving to get the barbie look that the guys like. I'm surprised I didn't know this.

I guess I'm pretty skinny (5'8", 110 lbs, BMI 17-ish, 23 years old), but I certainly do eat. I just naturally prefer fruits, vegetables, yogurt, and tofu; "heavy" things like cheese, bread, or meat just don't appeal because I hate having that "full" feeling after a meal. Generally I eat until I don't feel hungry anymore, not until my belly feels full to the brim. It's just how I am--been that way as long as I can remember. But I'm definitely not anorexic as I also regularly indulge in chocolate and cheesecake and full-sugar lattes (though not in xbox hueg amounts, of course). In my case I think it's just a combination of genetics and food preferences.
>> Anonymous
Goddamn girls have it easy. If they want to look attractive all they have to do is not eat. fuck.

>>205490

To answer your question, I started out at 125lbs. I fasted for three days, and then ate 600-800 for the rest of the time it took to lose the weight. The only excercise I had was what accompanied my work, and that was very very little.

My tack was eating a cup of yogurt in the morning, and then the rest in a full "meal" at night. My calorie estimates were rough, as I did not have a food scale. I'm quite sure that a lot of days totalled 400-500 for me as well.

I ended up quite lean, but with more fat than I would have liked.

These days I eat around 1500-2000 and burn at least 300 on the elliptical or treamill at the gym. 400-500 if I can swing it and I'm not too tired that day.

>>205246
I didn't exercise at all when I was losing weight. I only ate about <500 calories a day. I didn't weigh much when I started losing, only about 90 lbs but I lost about 12lbs over a period of 2-3 months. And, yes, you feel like shit when you get to be about 85lbs or less.

But, now I weigh about 107lbs and exercise 6 days a week... 3 days lifting, 3 days HIIT. I only eat about 1200-1500 calories now though ):<

with the male fashion trends the way they are now, males can do the same thing and be considered extremely attractive, provided they wear womens pants, makeup, and dye their hair retarded colors and sweep it over one eye

I had quite a few friends in highschool and such, one girl turned to cocaine to be skinny, others of course did not eat. Very few worked out with me. However, even though I was in part of the "it" crowd, I've always been healthier and would never promote thinspiration. When I was in early highschool I was bulimic, as in 5'0 and 90 lbs. Now I'm 5'1 and 115 with muscle and such. I feel better looking toned more than I did stick thin.

I'm a guy and If i eat when hungry and don't work out I am 5'7" 105 lbs. this is 3 meals a day.

I am at 130 from working out and protein shakes on top of normal meals. Around 3500 calories a day to stay at 130ish give or take a few. I'm pretty sure there is some truth to body types, because my father eats the same ammount as I do, minus the shakes and is 160 pounds same height. my mother was 90 lbs as a teen, and wanted to gain weight. i got the skinny shit from her.
