Hey, /fit/. I want to make a home gym, I have like $1000 towards it.

I'm getting a bench with leg attachment tomorrow and weights and a bar. What else should I get? Links/places I could get them? Prices? Thanks.
I have lots of room and I need some stuff to get in that room to make it a gym. So, help me out :3

Fuck the leg attatchments. it's terrible on your knees, it takes up more space than necessary and you'll trip over it all the time (at least I did when I had one a long time ago).

http://www.deltechfitness.com/df820.htm I'd get one of these, it's genuinely multipurpose (SQUATZ, bench, pullups buddy curlz [lol], etc), and you have the option of using that spotter bar for bench press, which is nice for going heavy by yourself.

Do NOT buy new. Put an ad out in the newspaper, craigslist, etc.

There are a LOT of people who bought home gym equipment, never used it, and now want to get rid of it for cheap. Your 1000 bucks will go MUCH further.

The ONLY things you need are as follows: Squat rack and bench, with appropriate barbell weights. Jump rope. Foam mat. Pull up bar with arms for dips. MAYBE a set of dumbells.

You can do everything you will ever need to do with that setup.
