Preparation. Anonymous
Hey /fit/, I plan to join a new gym with a track and some decent equipment when I get paid, as well as buying a copy of Starting Strength and some better food/drinks. I'm aiming to improve in all areas, but right now I don't think I can starting squatting and doing HIIT without hurting myself (my last attempt at interval training ended with shin splints).

I need some cardio/exercise options that will allow me to shed some fat (~20lbs) and develop my muscles in preparation for more intense training in a couple of months time. What are some good alternatives to squats, HIIT, deadlifts, etc?
