Workout Shoes Anonymous
When I go to the gym I usually just throw on my pair of nike running shoes to lift. One day I forgot my shoes and decided to just workout in socks. I lifted way more than I usually do (squats, deadlift mostly) I don't know what it was but it felt great.

I don't really care to step on something and fuck up my feet so I still wear the runners when I go since then.

What are some good quality kickers to wear for lifting? Style don't matter, just that they'll perform.

does it matter, really?

Some nice, black dress shoes.

That shoe wouldn't work. Everytime you took a step or something the cd would skip.

OP here:

Pic unlrelated. (I hope)

Hard sole shoes to reduce the weight and force absorbed by the shoe. Ankle support for larger weights. If you're asking this question then I assume you can't lift enough for that to be a huge problem/something you need to worry about at this point.

Why don't you just take your shoes off when you lift, stay in that area, and throw them back on when you're done.

Where do you live? in L.A. I get them for 25 bucks.

makes sense that you could lift a little bit more bare foot. Its the same reason Olympic and powerlifters where the shoes with wooden blocks on the bottom. So they dont lose any of thier power through the squishy soles of running shoes.

But lifting barefoot probably is a bad idea long term. inb4 joint problems n shit like that.
