How do I sleep better, /fit/?

I began going to the gym around three weeks ago and while it looks like that it might go really well if I put some effort into it, I just realized that the only thing that's been really keeping me from tidying my shit up is that I usually get less than 3-4 hours of sleep every night. Eating less and eating right by itself isn't too much of a trouble for me ( I'm not really into soda or anything sweet and everyone and their mother keep remarking that I eat surprisingly little for a 5'8", 185 lbs. lardass--all 40+ lbs. of which I gained during uni), but because work leaves me no choice but to sleep odd hours I tend to miss breakfast a lot.

Anyway, my first week in the gym, I was ready to go comatose as soon as I hit the sack, but after a while that doesn't even work anymore. Tired as I was there was always a bunch of useless stuff to do like going to 4chon, playing vidya, reading, watching animu, doing bits of work, cleaning the litter box, etc. And so I was gradually feeling shittier and shittier the next day and exercising less and less until last week I couldn't even finish cardio anymore because I was already winded and my head began to fucking explode all over the place.

P.S.
Fapping used to help a lot but around a year ago it just became an incentive to get up from bed and do more useless stuff after cleaning up.

Self control? ;)

It helps me if I have a set time I force myself to go to bed to at night, instead of staying on the computer until I feel tired. If you plan to be asleep by 10:30, get off the computer half an hour before, brush your teeth, flip through a boring magazine - anything mundane that'll help your brain wind down.
Watching TV or going directly from the computer to your bed will asssist in keeping you awake because your brain is still all OMG YAYYYY~~~~ WOOO!111
Reading in bed helps me relax because it gets my mind off the things that can keep me awake.

Camomile tea helps me, too, but I'm a weakling when it comes to drinks. +_+ Masturbating helps too, but I realize it's something guys just can't do under the blanket and fall asleep afterwards, lmao. >_>
