OP here I do lift weights every day also.

I do 70. Without weight training, and all I do are core exercises and running.
With low rep weight exersizes I noticed that you actually do less, but whatever.

my university administers fitness tests if you want to test fitness (heart rate recovery, bf%, pushup, situp, stretch, etc.)

50 is well in teh range of the highest tier according to them

doesn't make you expert, tho--the highest tier is "above average" in their evaluation system

100, after that my wrists start hurting.
Working up to planche push ups, still got a long fucking way to go..

push ups do not have direct correlation with fitness or athleticism.

i know plenty of tremendously good athletes that can only do about 50 or so.

50 renegade man makers is the hallmark of athleticism

wow /fit/ guys are really fit! I can onry do 15
>> Anonymous
don't worry 99% of the kids here do halfassed push-up-like movements / 1 rep per sec
45 *proper* push-ups here - with holding up for each 1 and slowly lowering till chest touches ground.
>> Anonymous
around 80+ proper pushups if I really push myself
realpushup= atleast3 seconds per rep

This is decent. Now lift some weight. Pushups are too easy for me but I'm still not that strong with big weights. I can do 50 pushups easy as shit but can hardly lift 185 for 3 sets of 5 on the bench.
