oh shit, i have a receding gum line.
do i have to get painful surgery to fix this or are there other methods?

sweet jesus. brush your goddamn teeth you disgusting slob.

the problem is you brush your teeth too hard and you are brushing away the gums on that tooth. brush gentler, and instead of side to side do up and downs. i had the same problem, then i stopped brushing so hard and side to side and now it's fixing itself.

Lol my entire mouth looks like this. I guess I should stop treating brushing like a forearm building exercise...

get dental hygiene and start flossing.

I have the same problem OP, and my dentist tells me its from brushing too hard.

Unfortunately this won't fix itself, you really need to start brushing gently immediately. Don't press the toothbrush onto your teeth/gums when you brush, just go lightly up and down and or in a circular motion.

Gums can recede from more than just brushing too hard, poor dental hygiene can make them recede as well.

Don't ask us. Go to your goddamn dentist before your tooth falls out! Save money by not waiting.

Also, floss and use mouthwash. EVERY DAY MORE THAN ONCE.

Use an electric toothbrush, switch to an all natural non-fluoride toothpaste that does not have sodium lauryl sulfate. It costs more but its worth it, and natural toothpaste tastes better.

this interests me. I've had shitty teeth all my life and nothing seems to work. Is there really any advantage for natural toothpaste?

flossing all the time is a sure way to fuck your gums for life
also, mouthwater? wtf, shit's fucking useless.

I brush my teeth at night and at morning, that's it and the goddamn dentists love me cuz I have the best fucking teeth ever

If your teeth aren't aligned properly the pressure can kill your gums, apparently.

meep, completely wrong.
Flossing is the only thing that will prevent parodontitis and in-between cavities.
There are not negative effects of flossing.
If your gums bleed after flossing, they are too full of bacteria already. Get a dental hygiene or paradontitis treatment.

Gargling reduces mouth bacteria significantly.
