creatine and whey protein are the only supplements that do you good, without bad side effects (unless you abuse them).
Creatine and protein after a workout is best, as that's when the body is most efficient at taking up vitamins, minerals, and everything else.
All you need is 5g a day once you're loaded, the rest is bullshit made up by supplement companies to make you buy more.
Also it won't help with your jogging at all, just intra-rep recovery.
