I never got the 'genetics is evil' thing. For one, poofing everything into existence without a solid mechanism behind it would leave fundamental proof that something created everything, and God actively avoids proving his own existence because that would render faith invalid.
For another thing, it's a damned sight better than the above anyway. If every change is by God's will, then He's built a system in which no activity is possible without His direct intervention, like a doll's house. Genetics and the process of evolution, however, says that God built something that is not only capable of self-function, self-maintenance, and self-duplication, but of actually improving its own design with each successive generation. Given omnipotence, there's no added difficulty to the latter, and it would seem to work better with God's general noninterventionism.
