i don't know what your schedule looks like but if you can put aside mornings for working out:

run BEFORE breakfast. i believe it's the best time to run if you are looking to lose weight, but check me on that.

do weight training as well.

eat highly healthy meals. fruits/vegetables...fibers you know. with fish rather than heavier meat. lay off the sweets entirely and minimize carb/fat intake.

obviously refrain from eating soon before sleeping. in fact, run before breakfast and try and do strength training after supper.
