What is the best way to calculate how many calories per day I need? And also, I am sedentary now, but I will be biking 60 mins at moderate pace plus lifting 3 times a week starting tomorrow.... should I factor that into my calculations or what, I know it's simple but I'm confused. Help a /f/atass out!

For example, if require 3000 I day and I'm going to make a deficit of a thousand... let's say my biking burns 700 calories at my current weight and and I'll ingest 300 fewer calories to make that 1000 a day deficit... does that mean I should be eating 2000 calories a day to hit that? or should I be eating 2700?

I know it's simple but I am just really confused I've read a shitload of info and I am just full of stuff I have yet to process, I'd rather focus on the big things and get help with this easy shit, thanks!

If you are eating 2000 and you bike off 700. You're at 1300, which isn't good.

That's what I was thinking.. I mean I was 95% sure but I wanted to be certain, so I need to eat that extra 700 I'd potentially burn off then correct?

The thing is I did a 1200 calorie a day diet for like 3 weeks and well, I lost a lot of weight but then I realized that it was unhealthy. I know that it feels good and like you're losing weight but it's really bad. Um, 2700 seems like I'd be eating a lot but spanned across 6 small meals throughout the day it should be fine.
