/fit/ this is sort of a pressing issue for me
i'm relatively slender but lately i've been trying to bulk a bit. my body fat has raised a bit since the prior few monthes but what's really been bothering me is my pecs.
my pecs are somewhat stretchy and not as lean as other parts of my body. maybe most of my increase body fat is going to that area.
i read studies that caffeine makes your body do this and i drink tons of energy drinks and diet pepsi. but i thought that maybe it was from liquid in general.
could this be what is causing this?
what can i do to stop it and go back to making my pecs lean?

can the soda. Do both bench presses, and pushups. Problems will be solved.

Diet soda leeches calcium from your bones and the sweeteners used in it are questionable at best.

For caffeine, drink a nonfat latte or just coffee with some skim milk in it.

it's true, the caffiene in soda leeches calcium from your bones and muscle, but the amount it leeches is very, very low. you can completely prevent the calcium leeching by add ing a few drops of milk or anything with calcium to your drink. cream. coke zero plus (?) has added vitamins and calcium. nequick or tang powder have calcium too. a little bit is enough.

I drink a lot of skim milk/cottage cheese though.
Would that not counter balance the effects of the diet pepsi?
