I have a friend, /fit/, who is a vegetarian.Her reason for being one is that she read one of those books.Give me reasons that aren't full of shit as to why Vegetarianism is good.Picture related.Its food.

I am a female vegetarian. I switched to vegetarianism because I was getting horrible cramps and discomfort during my period and when I cut out meat, the pain would not come. I decided it wasn't really worth it to eat meat since I never liked it much anyway to be in tremendous pain a few days out of every month.

Can't a fully-vegetarian diet get the required protein/nutrients through beans/legumes and whatnot? Not that I care; I throroughly enjoy a nice bit of steak or other meat.
