Dear /fit/,

I recently lost a shit load of weight and now it's starting to get unhealthy. I'm down to 145 at 6'1" and I want to start working out.

Here's the catch. I had an elbow injury a few years ago and had plate and screws put in. I lost about 5 or so degrees of extension and the muscle is very sore near the end of my range of motion.

tl;dr: should I ignore the pain and it'll get better or am I fucked forever?

Doctor. Go see one. We are not doctors. 90% of the advice you get on /fit/ or any 4chan board is posted by some 15-year-old basement dweller talking out of his fat ass, anyway. You must have some kind of death wish if you're asking 4chan questions in regards to something this serious.

that's something your doctor or surgeon should know about, what passes for medical services in your country?

Be careful with elbow injuries. Did you go through a rehabilitation physio to recover most of your range of movement?

It's likely that you'll never be able to get as much strength as the other arm. You might not be symmetrical, but don't let that stop you from working out if it's what you really want to do.

FYI, I fractured my elbow the day after easter, still recovering. Pisses me off that I can't lift some weights yet.

A surgical consult isnt really in the budget, no health insurance and all.

I didnt think it was really all that serious, the muscle is just a bit sore and my arm makes a strange crackling sound.

Maybe I should just avoid the triceps altogether?

Sudden weight loss without working out... Was it intentional? Did you diet insanely or something?

If it wasn't intentional, fraught with difficulty, and over the course of a year or more SEE A DOCTOR NAO! Do you have other pain/muscle aches not associated with the injury?

I did some occupational therapy which helped me gain a lot of motion. Also hurt like a bitch-whore. Did you lose any range? If so did you get that soreness?

I wouldn't call it dangerously sudden. I didn't intend to lose as much weight as I did, I just wanted to eat healthier.

I was around 205 and very flabby about 18 months back. I decided to cut out the cokes (about 4 a day) for water, and cut out the Wendy's lunch for a single nutri-grain bar. My calorie intake is probably very low as I only eat the nutri-grain bar for lunch and some random medium sized meal for dinner.

Initially I was hungry all the time, but now I have basically no appetite beyond my meals and have been sitting at 145 for around a month and a half.
