I'm taking a good friend of mine to the gym tomorrow for the first time.

What are some good workouts for girls? Obviously not a lot of heavy weights and what not, but should girls even try benching at first? I have no clue what to show her.

women's fitness is a myth perpetuated by trainers attempting to sell workout schemes to poorly motivated women.

If you want to become strong, you should lift heavy.

It won't make you muscular, you would have to keep it up for a long to time to look like a body builder, especially lifting in the 5 rep range where you don't gain as much size anyway.

you guys should learn to squat, bench, press(overhead), and deadlift. you would be my personal heroes.

Unless you eat 4000-5000 calories you wont get past 130 pounds.

Lift heavy. Don't be a pussy.

3x5 squats
3x5 bench press
3x5 bent over rows
3xfail dips

next time you go

squat 3x5
overhead press 3x5
deadlift 1x5
pullup/chinups 3xf

alternate each workout three times a week. no need for cardio, you'll lose fat because of increased muscle burning calories.

you might have to start with the bar to get form, or it may even be heavy for you, but that's ok. it'll go up quickly.

learn the lifts here stonglifts.com

keep it up for a while and you'll notice better physique/improved strength.

On the real, as a kinesiologist, hit the books. There's lots of science and research behind exercise and since womens' bodies are built different from men, there might be something that could help with how she'd like to train.

And DON'T HAVE HER OVER-DO IT ON THE FIRST FUCKING DAY!!! She'll never go back.

they aren't different enough that the core lifts listed by>>125240and>>125249shouldn't be done.

And if those are done, they are all that should be done as it would otherwise be more than their bodies can recover effectively from.

OP here, no troll, I just looked up women working out on google images and that came up lol. I know it's sort of inappropriate since I'm talking about an actual workout and not tae-boi shit.
