What would be the best way to do HIIT? (standard, pyramid, up and down hill?) How long should I do it for? How long should each split be?

do it for 5 times (5minutes) and then keep increasing by 1 every week

your starting length should be on you though. if you can handle it

if youre gonna do it right when u wake before u eat then lift later in the day
