im a overweight runner trying to slim down. For the last three years ive been on and off with it. It just doesnt seem to be taking off any weight, and im so fucking tired all day after my run. Im living in WI so now im fucking cold too when i run. I've ran with alot of knowitalls and even had a subscription to runners magazine, where i got tons of tips to run like a pro. I can even run a decent 5k. So why am i not losing any weight. I mean the diets not the best, but im not taking in a fuck ton of calories. Is there anything else i can do to take off the weight? Any pre-fatties here have any tips on how to those weight?

You're healthy, why complain? If you want to slim down, you've simply got to expend more calories than you take in.

Well i got my answer, even though i knew it in the back of my head. Alright time to flush the frosted buns and grab a pair of longjohns because its time to ride the rollercoaster of weightloss

"I'm weak" -> lift.
"I'm fat and I run" -> diet.
"I'm fat and weak" -> diet, diet, and lift.
"I'm skinny and I run" -> eat and lift.

Protip: Lose your poundage slowly. So very important.

Do light exercise with light calorie reduction. Lose skin is a bitch.

Increase as time goes on.

I lost 90 pounds in about a year without any loose skin to speak of. Feels good man.

Currently at 17% or lower body fat (been weeks since I did measurements), working on cutting about 4 or 5 pounds of fat.

Was 240+ (I was always too depressed to remember the full number), now I am 149 as of my last scale check in.

Currently working on cutting, then bulking after it, then back to cutting.

Feels good man.

hmm i'm guessing the problem is too much running not enough lifting weights....you probably need to eat more protein and lift hard(run sprints after your workout for bonus points)......find a treadmill and walk on(slow moderate pace) it for two hours two or three days a week....eat clean (chicken,cottage cheese,veggies, fruits, fiber) until you reach your desired goal.....then when you get there watch what you eat very carefully...I lost 5 pounds the first week(6 hours on a treadmill though luckily there is a tv right in front of it i also take a break and ride a stationary bike slowly too for about 15 minutes out of every hour) and without the lean muscle mass losses i have experienced all too often with jogging/running......I'm sorry for my retarded writing style i'm going to try to work on it /fit/
