hay, /fit/,

So I'm doing cardio 5 days out of the week and I'd like to build muscles while losing weight but my friend who's been in track tells me it'll be hard to do. BUT the /fit/ faq recommends weight lifting and cardio is the best way to lose weight. So who's right?

its not HARD, but doing cardio 5 times a week, its going to be harder to put on as much.

it also depends on how much fat you have already.

you should be lifting anyways if for nothing else but to just maintain the muscle mass otherwise the cardio will eat the some of the muscle.
