So /fit/. I know you get these all the time, but I'm 19, female, 5'4", and around 170-180 lbs. Right out of high school I was at 145 lbs. and didn't look half bad, but after beeing dirt poor for 6 months and eating what I could get (cheap shit) I've packed on the pounds. During high school I was in ROTC, jogged every night, and did sit ups, but this was after I had already gotten myself down from 160 lbs. when I was about 15 or 16. During my later years my every day meals were as follows: Breakfast - none or a pop tart. Lunch - ramen, pop tart, chips, crackers, and a bottle of water. Dinner - whatever was cooked, typical american dinners, but nothing entirely unhealthy.

Long story short, I want to lose weight, but have gotten into the habit of snacking and eating as much as my 6"2; 230 lb. boyfriend. I have access to a very basic gym and a pool. but a very erratic work schedule prevents me from doing things at specified times.

You don't get fat just cause you don't have money to eat. I was dirt poor for about a year and somehow I managed to stay fit. Also, a 19 female at 145 pounds is pretty fat to begin with, so no, you did look bad. Just making sure to get that out of the way.

Anyways... To start losing weight, first cut out shit like refined sugar. Don't eat fucking pop tarts or drink goddamn coke. Or, even worse than coke, don't drink those fucking fruit juices sweetened with HFCS (google) cause they are somehow worse for you. Essentially, start eating healthily, there is plenty of information on how to do that posted on this board and elsewhere ON THE INTERNETS.

Sorry for being harsh, but having a skewed self-image of yourself inevitibly leads to failure. Nobody has time to do anything nowadays. However, considering that you are posting on 4chan, you are obviously not a person who is important enough in the grand scheme of things. At all. You really don't fucking matter. That being said, your time isn't worth as much as you think it is. Somehow you find time to be completely inactive and post to this site, but not to fucking get off your expanding ass and go for a goddamn walk.

Holy shit, no wonder you put on weight. Do yourself a favor and eat some real food. Get rid of that junk completely, and cut down on the bread. Also portions. Drink lots water. It'll fill you up.
For a decent cardio workout, all you need is 30-45 minutes. Go run around the block for a bit. Or use whatever cardio machines the gym has (I'm no fan of running myself, but I do other things). You'll also need some weight/strength training, but even basic gyms have what you need. Look it up.
If you're still REALLY stuck, buy a workout video. No, really. It's better than nothing.
