help your body sleep in the best environment possible. cover all light sources, especially damned blinking LEDs, completely. using black tape (or garbage bags?). you should sleep in a "cave". even a tiny amount of light can keep you awake, and studies flat out show light is detected by cells all over your body, not just your eyes.
also, don't eat a "heavy" meal close to sleep. meats take hours to digest, like a cheeseburger can take 8 hours, so go light late: fruits and water only take 1-2 hours, they're good at the end. eat like a king at breakfast, eat like your homeless at night.
