Hello /fit/,
At the moment I'm fourteen and weigh about 140 pounds and my height is close to 5'7''. All of my friends were going to start lifting during the winter, I want to be around 160 pounds.

Any objections, advice, or suggestions?

how tall are your mother and father? you may not of reached your height potential yet and will stunt it by working out now....you should probably just deal with being skinny for 2-3 more years or until you are at least over 6' or are close to 6' tall.....

My mother is a few inches shorter than me, my father i'm not sure because I haven't seen him in years. My half brother is maybe the same height as me, probably an inch shorter. I talked to my mom about it because she's a nurse and she said that it woulden't stunt my growth, but personally I don't think i'm going to get much taller. I've gone through weight loss recently, weighing about.. 150-155 and I moved into a new house and fixed it up for about a week straight and lost 10-15 pounds.

That's a myth, weight lifting doesn't slow down growth.
