Yo /fit/, I know you guys are mostly about fitness and shit, but the word health is also in the name, so I figure I'll ask my question here because it has to do with health.

SO I got poison ivy a couple days ago and i've got these nasty little blisters all over my fingers and I really just want to take a thumb tack and pop them. Is this a bad idea? If so, why? Thank you for your prompt response.

already did bro, mostly a bunch of bullshit about putting calamine lotion on and cold compresses, but nothing to get rid of the actual rash, just to relieve the itching. I just want to know if I could pop these mofos without something bad happening :?

yeah makes totally perfect fucking sense right?

you cannot get rid of it. just go with the temporary solutions of relieving it. sorry to say but you gotta wait it out for it to naturally go away. but if you're hardcore pop it anyway.

ughhh.

Well if I pop them, will it spread? They look pretty juicy, and I don't know what's in there exactly.

he already amputated. shit calls for drastic measures.

If popped, you run a high risk of infection; as for spreading i;m not sure, but go for it and let us know

It's a bad idea, the stuff in the blisters will reabsorb into your body eventually.

Also, don't use calamine lotion because it drys up the rash too much and then it will still be itchy.

Go to a pharmacy and ask them what they suggest to help with the itching.

Cause of my job I get poison ivy all the time. Don't itch or pop them, this will only make it spread and itch worse.
As stated before, Calamine lotion and anything else that will dry the skin out.

CALAMINE CANNON BLAST!1!

popping the blisters won't make it spread. they will go away on their own eventually, but if you must pop them, put a little neosporin on it until the skin closes back up
