So, am I fucking myself over? Anonymous
I was just watching a video serie on jewtube that the generl message was the only form of diets that work are High Fat, High Protien, Low Carb diet.

My Daily Diet consists of 1/3 bowl of oats for breakfast, mixed with Some of this diet shake stuff (9g of protien, 7g of Sugar, 3g of Fibre and a bunch of added nutrients and Vitamins), Half a bannana, like 3 strawberries, a cup of Non fat soymilk and Some added whey/soy blended protien.

I would eat the same for lunch.

Dinner would be a fuckton of veggies with some Minced Gluten in gravey or Some Meatless sausages.

Have I been fucking my weightloss over? I am on Stonglift's and On the days I workout, I have one of these PWO lean protine shakes from the gym, no cabs in it.

Should I just cut all the carbs and never eat the oats again that I have found so yummy and nutritous?

Pic unrelated.

Noted, but still, am I sabotaging my efforts? I keep in my 2000 cal limit, but I would guess most of it comes from carbs. Not refined carbs like sugar (so much) and white flour. But wholegrains and shit like that.

Low carbs is the way to go. High protein, moderate fat, low carb to be more precise. Big breakfast, moderate lunch, small dinner. Carbs that you do have, make them good ones, ie. not sugar or refined things like white breads. In saying that sugar isn't that bad compared to long chain fatty acids. Depending on how you train depends on how you should eat. Make your muscles burn, hard, it's not all about how much energy you use, if you can get a good burn a lot of work will go into repairing them and replacing glycogen, insulin, etc. Training before you eat is good as well, because of the said replacing, if you can eat immediately after training most of the 'bad' things in your food will be used up in going straight to your muscles. Which also brings about attempting to raise the amount of muscle you have. Because having greater muscle mass results in more energy being used to heal and repair it. Muscle also burns a lot while you sit on your ass.
Depending on how you train ( I don't know) will determine you fat loss more so then what you eat, a good combination is best. So if you're more into fitness, circuit training and spin classes and dance classes, if you have the balls, are great. If you're more physical try drop sets and high rep high set low weights, so your muscles are exhausted properly.
Anyway fuck you have fun fatty.

yes but oats are good because for every gram of fiber you can subtract a gram of carbs and they are not high GI carbs....you can't have any high gi carbs unless it is cheat...you should eat about a gram of protein for every pound you weigh unless ...less fruit more veggies.....you are a guy right?

The only fruits I get are 6 strawberries a day and a bannana
I consume mostly veggies and get about 73g of protien.

Pea protein........also you should eat like a pound of broccoli a day and eat it with ranch and get some flaxseed in your diet too....you need more fats....your body is unable to produce hormones correctly with so little dietary fat....also eat meat :) but i respect the fact that you don't i guess....also soy will turn you into a woman broccoli will counter effect that a bit supposedly as will the fat intake.....good luck

yes, but, you can get sufficient fiber from apple skins. in saying that as the oats are for breakfast and low GI it's perfectly fine.
OP if you are a guy ( i assume you are, no offense i assume everyone is) maybe contrary to the above poster up your protein. it helps build muscle which in turn help lose fat, first in building the muscle, second in maintaining it. as far as good gains go you can up your protein to 3-4grams per kg.
another thing is to avoid starch like the plague. potato, pumpkin etc.
