underweight army recruit
Dear /fit/ I need to gain 15-20 pounds within 3-4weeks.

Any advice on how to do this?

All my life I have always been thin and scrawny, and 130 lbs seems to be the weight I stay no matter how much I eat or how many weights I pump =(

Eat more faggot.

That's it. End of story. If you aren't gaining weight you have to eat more, if you can't you are a pussy. You are not special, this applies to everyone.

Work out some more. Really gain 15 pounds of muscle mass and you should be fine

the thing is I am joining the army. Granted I did all my medical earlier this week. So I might give it a shot and see how it goes, if I show at least some progress in gaining weight maybe they'll waive it.

What exactly does "Lift heavy, no cardio" mean?

Eat more dude.

Seriously, you're just not eating enough.

EAT, EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT EATTTTTT

weights where you can only do 8-10 or less reps before exhaustion.

No cardio means stay away from shit like treadmills, or anything that will burn calories.

it means lift heavy shit, eat grilled chicken breasts like a motherfucker and don't run/cycle/swim etc.

Imagine a 20 pound dumbell ripping through your guts.

I'm not OP, but I've been eating more, but it's just making me fat. On top of that, it all goes to my belly and ass, while my arms stay freakishly skinny.

Drink a gallon of whole milk a day. Get on stronglifts.com and start the program. You should gain about 20lb in a month.

Op here, I have no idea where all the food I eat goes. I just don't develop fat at all. Two years ago I used to eat constantly. Now I eat a little less then that and work out and the only difference is I'm building muscle

Who cares about gaining lean mass? If you want to be heavier, eat more. Eat a pack of oreo's. Eat a tub of ice cream. The key is consistency. You have to eat a lot over a long period of time. I suggest you start now, OP.

You are skinny and weak. I seriously doubt you eat a lot and lift weights.

If you are serious about training, you may only do three things within the next 3-4 weeks: eat, train, sleep

Is "a lot" 2500 calories a day?

I didn't think so.

Keep track of all your food intake for one week. Realize how much of a anorexic you are.

There is hope, OP. Take your average intake and multiply it by 3. Enjoy your weight gain.

Okay not OP, are you working out? Because if you are and you're ONLY gaining fat, then I guess you're doing it wrong. Squats are the answer.

I could work out, but it's hard to add muscle mass to your arms when there's not much there to develop in the first place.

Is squats the meme of /fit/?
>> Anonymous
>>434151

Yeah SQUATZ is a /fit/ meme, but unfortunately faggots don't seem to understand that they are the best exercise for damn near everything.

Just go to stronglifts.com and everything will be okay.

Everyone starts somewhere. You have muscles? They can be developed.

Rate of addition of muscle mass and present amount of muscle mass is not causal. If you stimulate the muscle and you fuel your body with the means to build muscle, you will grow.

The only reason having a lot of muscle predisposes you to have more muscle is the hormonal effect of maintaining said muscle. ie, more free test.

They are probably useful, but whenever I do them it feels like my legs are getting all of the workout. No doubt I'm doing something wrong.

20lbs in 4 weeks is almost impossible

just for shits and grins, if we assume it's all fat (it's MUCH harder to gain muscle quickly)

20lbs/mo * 3500cal = 70,000cal/mo ~ 2300cal

that's not 2300 cal total
that's 2300cal more than you need to maintain your weight

that's like 5000 cal a day for a young buck like you

fucktons of whole milk is all i can say

Make sure you have ALOT of money and free time available, make a schedule for all of your meals and follow it precisely. Make sure you do a step-up from your current (guessing 2k calories) to a 5-8k calories, depending on how much you can eat, between 1-2 weeks.

To be realistic you probably won't make the goal, certainly not in pure muscle anyway. You can use steroids but note that alot of that added weight will be in water and not muscle. Use creatinine for 2 weeks, train the large musclegroups like legs (squats) and do heavy reps.

Eat at least 20% protein, the rest should be slow carbs as much as possible. That helps skinnyfags to gain weight. Don't sleep too much and don't go running.

anabolic steroid and squat till you die
