Hey /fit/, I'm 5'10", 235 Lbs. Muscular, so not obese, but FAT. Fat fat. It's time to lose fat. I used to drink a can of coke every day, and ate out kind of often; I'm cutting it down to 1 cup of coke a week, and learning to cook, saves money and calories.

I don't care about bulking up, I just want to lose fat. My target weight is 200, once I'm there I'll think about 180. I squeeze into a 40" waist now, and I want to get back to being a 36".

So, suggestions for workout routines & healthy recipes? I'm looking for generals as well as specifics. I need a ROUTINE, so I can't hem and haw about working out all day and not get anything done.

I took up fencing, which is an INSANELY good work out. I fence for about two hours every Monday and Wednesday. I don't want a gym membership... I have some freeweights and a recumbent exercycle at home. I enjoy doing fencing exercises (lunges & footwork), which are great cardiovascular exercises, but my stamina is low and I get winded after about 60 seconds of nonstop moving back and forth and back and forth.

Also I started eating banana & peanut butter milk shakes, some low-cal yogurts, green tea, and when i do carbs or breakfast, whole wheat bread or mini-bagels or pasta.

I'd love to lose 35 pounds by December, but I know that many pounds in two months is very ambitious. If it's possible, though, I want to do it. I'm tired of being a fat bastard.

So, what kind of exercise/nutrition routine does anonymous recommend?

Sup OP, I'm in a similar boat as you. I weigh around 100kg (about 220Lbs) and got sick of being a tubby bitch. I saw one of those 'do XXXX if your post ends in XX' pictures on /fit/ and modified it so for the past fortnight I went from doing dick all to doing 50x3 jumping jacks and 30x3 10kg (25 Lbs) three times a day (when I get up, when I get home from work, before bed) and stopped eating crap all day (cept for coke).

One long set of exercise made me bored and I'd stop doing it but doing a smaller ones spread over the day made me stick with it. Sure, there's probably a more efficient way to do it, and some BRAH will probably tell me I'm wrong but it works for me. After two weeks I'm feeling better, my arm and leg muscles are feeling tighter and bigger, and my HUGE GUTS and love handles are getting smaller.

tl:dr /fit/ made me get fit, brah

Sounds cool. I will take your post as motivation that it can indeed be done!
