Hey /fit/, I'm working on putting together a new fat burning workout.Warm up - 5 min bike, steady paceHIIT - Treadmill 1 min sprint, 1 min walk, repeat for 12 minsThen the cardio trainer at a steady/fast pace for 30 minsThen cool down - same as warm upAm I doing it right?
Add in weightlifting into your routine, if you're doing HIIT "properly" according to the fags on this board, you wont be able to do another 30 mins on cardio trainer.
>1 min sprintLOL id love to see you "sprint" for a full minute. Im going to assume you mean youll run at around 70-80% for that time.
>>184966Fast movement with lots of reps and sets?
>>184967So how long would you suggest? 30 sec sprint and 30 sec fast walk?
>>184973If you're cutting you arent going to build much muscle. The idea is that you will burn through your glycogen stores from weightlifting, also dont quote me on this but you can build some strength if you are on a decent high protein diet.
>>184971For true sprinting it shouldnt be more than 25-30 seconds. Then do the minute walk between to recoup. If you do any harder than that youll hurt yourself. I personally find a track and sprint the straights and walk the curves.
>>184974I plan on doing this routine as soon as I wake up - won't my glycogen stores already be low?
>>184976You still have an amount stored from the previous day.
>>184979Alright thanks a lot for all the help, I'll start this tomorrow
