A couple questions. As a fat fuck, I'm done. I've done the hard part and you know what? Wasn't that bad. Cut the bullshit and now I eat healthy, REASONABLE meals. If i were a normal wight I'd be in the zone but...I'm stil a fat fuck.

First, now that I'm on track...will loosing a lot of weight mean I'll have a lot of extra skin? I mean, three hundred pounds fat here so there's droopage. I'm wondering if this is like a deflating balloon scenario or is there a point where I ask doctor about skin reduction or something to that effect? I'm pretty sure extra flesh doesn't magically disappear.

Also, what are some BEGINNER things I can do to be more fit? I can walk just fine and even a light job maybe..for a bit. I've gone to the gym but that's all wrong, I need cardio for a fat fuck, not to lift weights. What is something I should be doing? The gym is all the fuck across town (not a joke, I can't drive and a cab in this shithole is like fifteen bucks BOTH ways) so aside form dressing like a girl and begging curves....there's not a lot I can do.

Advice? Helpful suggestions for a man on the road to fat fuck recovery?

Jog, I have a job. I meant to say job but I can get like a block maybe. As an ironic sidenote, Curves is down the fucking block and all I hear are about women doing great. I'd be there every fucking DAY if I could but no. Women only.

One word answers aren't very helpful at all. What part of that is wrong exactly and if I could bike I'd be like at step three..not step one. I don't think they make bikes in 'fat fuck' friendly designs.

Exactly how far away is the gym? I'd just walk.

You don't have to lift weights at the gym, they should have treadmills and bikes there.

For me it's like an hour and a half walk. Hell if I pulled THAT one off I wouldn't even need to GO to the gym. I'd go there and sleep, drink some water and lay down. Then cab home.

There is ONE bike machine there and no treadmills, it's a small shitty town. Maybe it's better I just use the pool if I do manage a routine down there? I'm not sure swimming around the pool is going to get me any results, I'm not a great swimmer or anything. Nor do i know about aquatic exercise. I'm not sure bulking up which seems to be my option is the weight loss solution I'm looking for. Putting ON muscle weight? That's...helpful? Doesn't seem to help. Then I'm a stronger fat fucker. Come on. Moral boost i suppose....

Don't sweat to much brotha. It takes time to loose the weight, and then more time to get your body the way that you want it. You have already takin' the hardest step, the first one. Keep walking though. No need to run if you dont want. You would be very suprinsed how little more calories running burns than walking.

Also if your worried about the skin, than try to mix in some calastetics to your day. That will help you to put some muscle in the right places without becoming huge. It will help to make sure you get solid shoulders, chest, arms and legs. Not to mention the abs.

Also make sure you dont go too fast through the weight loss. You have to make sure to give your body time to adjust to the changes that it is going through. Water and other skin healthy coices will help you skin to adjust to your new frame size.

How ever if you are loosing a considerable amount of weight there will be some loose skin.
The procedures can be exspencive, and I understand rather painful. So consider that before you make your decision.

Good fortune to you my freind.

Don't run.

That can fuck up your knees bad. Try walking. A bike is good too.

If there's a community center or YMCA nearby, sign up for swimming lessons. Once you can actually swim, it's great exercise and it might save your life or someone else's one day.

Also, you don't bulk up at your stage. First, you lose weight without starving your body (no starvation diets, keep the protein count high), until you no longer have 10-20lbs of stress on your body from your fat. Once you run into problems losing weight by diet and light exercise alone, you are ready for weight training. The purpose of this is to build muscles, so your body consumes more calories to support the muscle mass, and you continue losing weight. Never attempt weight training while obese, since it's dangerous. Chances are you are already lugging around 20lbs+ in body fat, and walking with it is exercise enough already.

Hey>>50122, how you doin?

First off good job choosing to do something about your weight, I understand your reservations about weight lifting and etc. I was 409 pounds, and I'm 190-200 right now. However, if you really want to pound that fat away, you're gonna need some weight training mixed in with your cardio! This is because muscle burns off fat better than fat burns off fat. So in addition to the fat you burn off with cardio, you're gonna be burning off calories after working out from that weight lifting, in addition to the calorie loss, you're tightening up that stuff under the fat so as you shed away the pounds - You'll start to look better and better and better as the progress continues.

The main apprehension a lot of big guys like you and I have with weight lifting is we assume we're going to get "big". and the word "big" translates to "fat" for us. We don't wanna be BIG anymore. But don't worry, if you're doing weight lifting in a light way, eating right, and doing that cardio...you'll shed weight and you won't get big.

I hope that helps, listen, I'm more than willing to help you out if you want. I'm willing to correspond over e-mail or whatever if you want too.

Best of luck and keep it up man! OH! And by the way, when I lost the weight, I didn't have a gym, I had a small set of dumbbells and a shitty bar, and a lot of open road. If you have to run 1-2 miles to get the gym, think about this - You don't have to use/wait for those cardio machines at the gym! Huh? Huh?

Not to mention I've met seriously awesome chicks while running, they dig an active guy, even if you're a little big they admire fucking determination, you can rock it brother. Go for it, and let us know about your progress. Cool?

You should try losing weight slowly. This will prevent the loose skin shit.

And yes you want to lift weights. Lean muscle requires more calories to exist than fat cells. So you burn more calories at rest if you have more lean mass.

try two 45 minute walks/low impact cardio twice a day.

Cool. Once the weather lets up and the ice disappears I'll do it. Get out there. Yeah, I'm sure it's like lugging around your mother and small cousin of your choice being my weight as it is. Last thing I need is to get going and then slip my ass on the ice. Canada. It's cold and stil covered in snow at the moment. Walking. That's good. I'll try and mix it up with some pool now and then. Sounds fun.

Really by the way? If I go slow the skin just...adjusts? I assumed it would be there regardless.

I think>>50202is right. How it happens is natural bodily functioning - dermis cells die, the fat tissues stop retaining so much water. If there is no pressures on the region of skin for long periods then the extra cells will die off. The chemical signals to replenish whichever stressed area it is will fade.

I wouldn't be afraid to start shedding the pounds as quickly as possible though, your joints are much more important than your loose skin fears. Once you're at a comfortable weight then try to lose about 1-2 pounds of body fat a week.

Also, I think it was mentioned, maybe not, but find some good body lotion that actually works and has vitamin E in it, supplement with vitamin D too if you don't drink milk much.
