Roaccutane Anonymous
After speaking long and hard with my dermatologist, We've decided to try roaccutane.

Anyone here done a treatment of it? Or know of someone who has? He said I may get pains in my body If i workout, I do a 20-30 minute very high intensity exercise schedule every night for basic fitness.

Anyone got any stories?

My cousin used it for 6-7 months, Her skin improved alot, and according to her she didn't get any of the side effects, however she had to avoid the sun as much as possible, It makes your skin weak as nothing.

I just find it easier, I don't really have much time during the day, I start work at 6 and finish at 6, and I use it as a form of de-stressing after a long day also.

One of my ex-girlfriends had a bad experience with accutane. Maybe this is very different, or maybe people just call this product by that slightly shortened name sometimes. It wreaked havoc on her skin and didn't stop her acne. This was when she was a younger kid before I met her, and she had long since moved on to other less drastic means.

I've tried alot of less drastic approaches,

Creams, Pills, Face washes,

None seem to do work.

Been on 10mg roaccutane per day for about half a year, haven't had any acne at all since a few days after starting it. No side effects except maybe getting sunburns easier, but that always happened pretty easily, and proper suncream protection still completely prevents that for me.

I've been weightlifting since april and I don't see why you would get pains from roaccutane.

Enjoy your clear skin.

I did isotriten (generic of accutane) for 6 months. It made my complexion a lot worse for the first month, but worked wonders after that, completely cleared me up really. Sadly my skin broke out a few months after I stopped so I had to go on it again, nearly double the dosage. I could only finish a little more than 4 months this time due to the dry skin. I would literally only take a shower every couple of days without using soap, then use cetaphil lotion (a MUST HAVE for accutane users), then using prescription lotions. But I would still get bad patches of eczema. Either way, my skin still looks good. It's been 6 or 7 months since I stopped my second course and I'm fighting of the few pimples I'm getting with acne face wash.

tl;dr It is very very worth it.

BTW, I would highly recommend you order Dr. Dan's Cortibalm online. Chapped lips are very hard to get rid of with normal lip balm while you're on accutane. This stuff helped even during my second course with ONGWTF dosages.

did it for half a year, cleared my pimples 87%.

i now still get pimples but only 10% the intensity of my old self.

3% of my pimples NEVER disappear, same spot, same pimp. it's odd. always there.

I used Roaccutane for about 8 months. Best fucking thing I've taken. Ever.

I have NO acne AT ALL and haven't had any for the 6 months I've been off the pills. MY skin is so clear, its improved my self confidence ALOT.

I had EXTREMLY dry lips, like to the point where they were bleeding, and headaches. But it was well worth it.

My skin dried out really bad and I got consistent nosebleeds. Cleared up acne though. If you don't mind the mild side effects mentioned above then you should be fine.

I did a 4 month course and stopped about 3 years ago. Did a 6 month course starting late last year and I'm now 100% clear.

Remember to keep your face moisturized with a non comedogenic lotion (I use cetaphil)
