Hello my fellow /fit/izens, I have a question for you:
What is the best way to get rid of d00bs and stomach buldge? I'm about 178lbs and in fairly decent shape. I'm decently fit everywhere else except I can't seem to get rid the load in the front. My routine involves lifting weights, and running. I know I'll be doing some more situps in the near future but, any other recommendations /fit/? thanks.

Ironically enough. That's a really good idea.

Also, if you are on fall-winter right now. Wait for spring-summer. It's the best time to really lose body fat.

Do your usual workout, check your diet. YOU CAN EVEN USE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR TO GAIN BODY MASS (muscle) WHICH LATER YOU WILL CHISEL FOR AWESOMENESS!

I get tired of saying that stuff, but it has proven so true to me that I just have to.

Also, patience. The belly is the one part that takes the longest to get rid off.

Protip and morale booster: Chances are your abs are already pretty worked out and chiseled, but the body fat is covering them. So focus on that and do not lose hope.

No offense, but no. Squats do work your abs out in the beginning, but there are FAR BETTER excercises once you reach a certain level. And body fat has little to nothing to do with squats. It's about running and burning calories.

A rather common misconception is that squats will give you awesome abs, though. So don't worry.

It's not BAD to do squats, but do not expect JUST squats to do the work all by themselves. Otherwise you'll feel your abs worked out but you'll realise there's a fat layer avoiding them to be "shown".

I'm on the same boat, I lost like 50lbs already and I look great but I still have some fat on my stomach, I weight lift 5 days a week, 3 days of hiit and cardio each other day at the morning before breakfast.

I have a 6-pack from taking /fit/'s advice five months ago. I do zero cardio and only heavy lifting, and make sure I eat enough for muscle growth but not enough for fat gain.

running = stupid temporary gain

can't spot reduce but just build muscle in the area where you want more definition and over time as you lose more fat you will see more muscle.
