sup /fit/

I'm a type 2 Diabetic due to my weight problems. I've been fat all my life. Today I had an appointment with my Diabetes doctor and I got up on the scale... and I weighed 355 pounds. I used to weigh 392 4 months ago, the lady had me step on the skill 2 more times to make sure. As sad as it is to admit I honestly don't exorcise like I should be, I try to watch what I eat but I do eat poorly at times and recently I've tried to transition to just drinking water instead of diet drinks (which I've done successfully)

I'm just wondering why now? How did I lose 37 pounds in about 3-4 months doing absolutely nothing? I weighed more in 2007 than I do now. This is crazy and knowing I've lost 37 pounds has made not only my day but my whole week. This burst of weight lost makes me want to go to the gym membership right now and just run and run.

Does anyone have any explanations on why I lost weight for the first time in my life doing nothing it almost seems unreal. 355 is still alot but I have high hopes if I get to a gym I can lose much more and get down to 300 pounds by the time I visit my doctor again (in August).

I never realized until today that my size 40 jeans that I had to button by my thighs and then pull up to my waist cause my waist was so big they wouldn't button, now they're falling off of me o_o.

Pro-tip: Do not run at 355lb.

Yeah, use a low-impact exercise machine, like an elliptical or a stairmaster or recumbent bike. Running will put too much strain on your joints.

Maybe you've gotten caught up in doing something or other and haven't realized that you've been eating less. Drinking water definitely would have helped, too. Sometimes you can lose weight for very unhealthy reasons, though, like inadvertently starving yourself. If you decide to start working out, make sure you're getting some proper nutrition, too.

When you are that fat and you have a scare (Diabetes) you change what you do even if you are not concious of it. I weighed 320lbs and one day I finally weighed myself and saw the how huge I was and was shocked. The next month I was 305 and everyone around me said I was eating less ( I didn't even know I was). Now I am 215lbs.

dropping soda completely will do that. even if it was just diet soda you were drinking, and congratulations. FTW avoid anything (even energy drinks), that have high fructose corn syrup. Its what makes you fat (soda wise).

for level 2, try dropping or at least cutting down on fast food. Avoid anything thats fried (the oil is where all those extra calories are coming from), opt for grilled instead if you have to eat fast food.

don't starve yourself, its counter productive to losing weight (even though at face value it doesn't make sense), google starvation mode. your body needs nutrients to survive, you're just over-providing it right now. make sure you're satisfied, but not stuffed.

but believe me, cutting out fast food or at the very least all fried food will dramatically cut your weight too.

best thing to do exercise wise is anything low-impact. swimming, eliptical, walking. trying to run or jog at 355 will only damage your joints, protect your joints.

The diet coke didn't do anything, unless he was one of those fatties that goes to a restaurant, orders a diet coke, and thinks he can eat whatever the fuck he wants.

also, this is a copypasta from bb.com, from a pretty new topic actually.
