Do isolation exercises help compound exercises?

Ive hit some faggot platue and its not even that much weight, so would me doing iso's raise my max?

they won't "help" but it's always good to change something when you hit a platue. It's good to give your body a shock whether its through diet or exercise. Instead of adding needless isolation exercises, you can try going lighter, adding variations, changing your diet..

for instance, throw some chains on the endof the barbell while doing deadlifts. as you lift it, the chains create more resistence and presto - you've got yourself something new that isn't unnecessary and can help you break through the platue.

Or, you could try doing difference compuond exericses.

change squats to front squats or over head squats and try switching deadlifts from conventional to sumo or even try adding romanian deadlifts.

If you're getting stuck at the bottom of a bench press, you dont do tricep kick backs, you work in that range of motion to push through it.

no, you don't do triceps kickbacks for the bottom of the lift, if you're a raw lifter you use shoulder/pectoral exercises, because you're probably only going to have trouble off the chest if you're a raw lifter. you'd use heavy triceps extensions in order to help the lockout. but not kickbacks as they use the wrong head.

if you have hit a plateau for a lift, it's not likely to be because you aren't accustomed to the motion if you have done that lift a lot before. it's going to be because you're not strong enough, and it's not hard to work out which muscle is the limiting factor.

once you have worked out what muscle it is that is not strong enough, you can do isolations for that muscle. it's simple and doesn't require discussion let alone baws.
