Xanax = Miracle Drug Anonymous
It fucking works. Amazingly well. Why are people against these? You eat fucking processed food all the time. why are these chemicals so much worse?

I have been a nervous fuck all my life. I got an RX for 30 xanax to see if it works, and shit son. It does. I am able to sleep when I try, I don't worry about things around me, I don't fidget, don't seem tense. Ideas for conversation flow to my mind, when before my mind would just empty and blank. I had a phone convo for 1 hour with a girl I never spoke to before from Internets (my best was 5 minutes previously). Able to talk to acquaintances for 10-20 minutes before it gets stale like a normal person now.

And physical fitness wise. It made my appetite come back. I use to feel sick from being anxious all day I guess. I could barely eat a sandwich at lunch. I can now eat two, a bag full of snacks, and an ice cream.

I went down to 118 lbs since I didn't work out due to inury. Always had trouble gaining weight. Went back up to 126 in 2-3 weeks with out even lifting.

I have no idea if being stressed out all the time made me thin, or just suppressed my appetite, or what. But I hope when I get better I can get up to my goal of 150 lbs 5'7" or so lean since my appetite and sleep are better from Xanax.

I exercised and lifted before but it never helped with stress or appetite.

benzodiazapines are wonderful for people with anxiety disorders. people who are "against" medications like xanax generally have a very poor understanding of mental illness or assume you are abusing it.

Is it possible for stress/anxiety to prevent one from gaining weight?
>> Anonymous
Well yeah, it works cause you're fucking high when you're on it. You can't remember the bad.

Therapeutic doses don't cause memory loss. I'm not eating a recreational dose aka 2-4 bars (4-8 mg). I take 1 mg in the morning.

I remember my whole day.

Very easily. Cortisol, one of the main stress hormones, is quite effective at suppressing testosterone.

I think he is. Isn't that the point of his post?

So I was reading this thread and it got me thinking.

I'm an anxious skinnyfag too. Would getting meds help me gain weight and etc...?

go natural, smoke weed

Weed damages your lungs. Benziodiazepines do no permanent damage if I recall. Save if you die from withdrawals.

All smoke inhalation damages your lungs. Try again.

I smoke, but it does do it's damage. Also not good for anxious people. It heighten anxiety in them.

weed will also crush your test levels.

cut the stimulants if you want to lower your cortisol levels. you can also avoid exercising for more than an hour. after an hour your anabolic hormones are released at a much lower level than your catabolic hormones (cortisol).

Hey OP, you didn't happen to post this exact topic a few weeks ago, did you? I remember the last one mentioned the hour-long phone convo with an internet GF.

Anyways, I have some problems similar to the one you mentioned... in particular, my mind always goes blank when I'm with friends and want to talk to them... my only guess as to what could cause that is ADD. How exactly did you come to be diagnosed with anxiety? What tipped you/your doctor off?
>> Anonymous
>>472933
I told him I had problems with public speaking. And that I was feeling anxious.
>> Anonymous
>>472933
Yeah. I posted how it helped me be more social when I got it RX'd.

Now I notice it's helping me maintain a healthy weight naturally. Before I had to work out to stay at 130 lbs, which is odd for a man. Now I think I'll hover at 130-140 normally and 150-160 when lifting and protein shit.

Get a fucking clue and read up on Benzos: after a while, tolerance develops; they are addictive and several subclasses are neurotoxic.
Enjoy developing tolerance, switching between different benzos and upping your dose until you are fucking braindead.

>>473035
You slowly taper off your dosage when you wish to discontinue them.

The "altering your brain chemistry" is your body needing them. AKA Addiction. It's completely reversible. It just takes time to wean off if you wish to quit. Fuck off troll.
>> Anonymous
Does your anxiety get worse after you stop taking them? Even after the withdrawal period? I've been wanting to try them lately to get rid of my anxiety but I don't want to be on them for the rest of my life.

>>473199

uhh, i think you mean the total opposite. before taking benzos, i hated life. i was a chubby piece of shit who was scared of everything. this last year i've been on these meds and working out and i'm a completely different person. not everyones brain chemistrys work the same douchebag.

pot & lifting argument is so old holy shit

go to bb.com forums and you'll see on plenty of threads about it all day every day on page 1
general consensus is:

Smoke in any form is not good for you, and clearly not good for your throat & lungs, so if you are an athlete or marathon sprinter any form of cannabis you use should be eaten or vaporized

though there's plenty of nba and nfl players who abuse it and get caught on a regular basis, they are generally black and well therefore they are physically superior anyway so that is a no contest and should be thrown out

the natural pain relief & relaxation that marijuana can bring can be helpful for lifting & your gains, though the low sperm count, testosterone levels dropping and shortened REM sleep are used in the arguments too

TLDR; the reason this is brought up so much in fitness/bodybuilding is because people like getting fucked up, plain and simple, whether it be a buzz or getting hammered and alcohol is a big big no no due to the unnecessary carbs & calories unless you only want to drink on your cheat day

and benzos/opiates & all those other pain killers are highly addictive and habit forming, and before you know it you could be a OC/xanax fiend or you could be having seizures from withdrawls which don't seem like fun, and as much work as scientists may put into those pills they still cause plenty more deaths than that cannabis leaf

Switching doctors is not illegal you stupid asshat. If you're not getting treated you have the right. You call up and ask to be switched, and they do. It's free too. They give you a new Family Doctor, or a referral to a psych.

Benzos don't cause long term damage cunt for brains. Stop being health fags.

Anyone with an MD will tell you to taper off Xanax by .25 mg every 2 weeks until you are at 0. You will have no unpleasant effects and be back to normal.

The damage is caused by tough guys thinking they don't need to taper off any pussy drug they've been using as a crutch like a woman, who go cold turkey to show how much of a man they are. They then have seizures, then severe anxiety. There are tons on this board that would do this, then complain doctors are quacks and the drugs are dangerous.

Stop being stupid shits. If you taper off, you're fine.

I've abused , or used Oxycontin twice a month for the last 6 years recreationaly, and have little to no tolerance. 20-30 mg to get high.

I was on Xanax for panic attacks in college, and tapered off it when I moved away from my parents and everyone I knew and started over.

I had a 3.5 in college taking Xanax daily, and taking Oxycontin every other weekend. OC is heroin basically if you didn't know.

I remember it all.

>Like all benzodiazepines, clonazepam is a benzodiazepine receptor agonist. Long-term use (more than 2–4 weeks) can lead to a number of problems, including muscle weakness and fatigue, tolerance, physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms upon discontinuation. The benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome, which may appear during reduction or withdrawal of clonazepam treatment, can be reduced in intensity with gradual reduction of dosage.

>Discontinuation of or reduction in dosage after regular use may result in the clonazepam withdrawal syndrome.[29] Abrupt or over-rapid withdrawal from clonazepam may result in the development of the benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome with psychotic attacks characterised by dysphoric manifestations, irritability, aggressiveness, anxiety, and hallucinations.[30][31] Sudden withdrawal from clonazepam may also result in withdrawal symptoms including anxiety, irritability and potentially the life threatening condition status epilepticus.

I couldn't care less about your own anecdotal experience with benzos.

I really don't give a shit. And most insurance companies would probably require you to get a prescription anyways. You can always find a doctor who will hand you a prescription. If people want to kill themselves there are tons of easier ways.
