i dont really know what to call the diet i'm on. prior to starting it, it took me 6 months to BARELY lose 5 pounds with normal exercise w/ some HIIT.
after starting it, been on it for 7 weeks, lost 8 pounds w/ HIIT included.
I follow the GI charts (Glycemic index)eating low glycemic foods, which is essentially sort of like a low carb/ anabolic diet.
I eat fruits and vegetables because they have fiber and aren't easily as digestable as carbs. The added fiber "reduces" the carb content of them and they do not raise blood sugar as high. (more blood sugar = more insulin= more fat storage).
I stay away from as many bread, pasta, grain products as possible, essentially anything processed.
so.. this is what i DO eat: vegetables, fruit, dairy, poultry, fish, nuts/seeds and i drink water.
for a specific list that i usually make combos out of: corn peas carrots green beans (salads- romaine) wheat berries steel cut oatmeal (it's important that it is NOT instant. has enough fiber to reduce part of the fact that it is a high GI carb + cinnamon helps lower glucose levels) apples bananas oranges grapes, occasionally pineapple soy milk tofu cheddar, cream cheese, mozarella eggs tuna salmon chicken turkey peanuts, almonds, pecans, sunflower, pumpkin seeds.
