Fruit in place of sodas, enough carbs not to feel like ass during the day, mostly lean meat like chicken and fish or also lean beef. Stay away from overly processed snack foods, drink a lot of water (a lot, your body will adjust after a while and you won't have to pee every six minutes), and eat primarily whole wheat stuff for bread. You don't have to be stupidly strict but the stricter you are in your diet the more results you'll see.
