Hey /fit/, what is wrong with doing stronglifts every other day instead of 3 days a week? Is there a specific reason for this or no?

No, think about it

If you go monday, wednesday, and friday, that leaves TWO rest days saturday and sunday.

If you go every other day, that only leaves ONE rest day inbetween your workouts, always. For example, you go monday, wednesday, friday, then go saturday, tuesday, thursday, saturday, then back to monday again.

What I am asking is, is there a reason for this extra rest day or can I just go every other day?

IF YOU DO THEM EVERY OTHER DAY YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU HAVE DONE THEM APPROXIMATELY 3 TIMES THAT WEEK

I was wondering about this also, but the extra day of rest will do you good.

You should even consider taking a week break every 12 weeks of training. It lets your CNS rest from the habitual pounding you give it.

By Friday my legs are usually pretty wrecked, I did 3 days of squats, might of done deadlifts twice, stronglifts is a rigourous beginners program, especially once the weight gets heavy... Saturday and Sunday I eat, stretch and sleep.

Every other day works fine, 3 a week is mostly to fit people schedules. However, as you get stronger, you will appreciate that extra rest day on Sunday.
