I got manboobs. I'm pretty sure its hereditary, because my Dad and Grandfather have em. Pushups don't seem to be working. I play baseball and our coach makes us do a ton of them for some reason. I'm a fairly thick guy, about 5'10" 205 lbs, and I've seen people who are larger than me without man boobs. Any tips on how to get rid of them? Maybe some running?

lower your bodyfat. that means cardio, and keeping calories in check. Try to work up to one armed push ups (hint: spread your legs, use your stairs.)

stop eating crap and do cardio.
You're just fat.
Stop blaming it on genetics, it's just that your whole family has bad eating habits.

No idea. I'm in the same boat as you. 5'9, 208. I do pushups and butterfly with freeweights, but they remain. Certainly smaller than when I weighed 255, but still there. I tried the skin grab thing to see if I had any fat left there, and uh, not that I can see. Skin on wide breastplate. Sucks.

My grandfather is really thin though and he has em o_O

the cheap beef you stuff your fat face with is loaded with estrogen.

Probably because he's so old. Elasticity of the skin weakens with age. Old people with turkey necks aren't fat double chins, but weak elasticity under the jaw.

But...I don't eat beef...

It happens to older people, their skin loses elasticity. 5'10" and 205 is borderline obese; BMI at that ratio is 29.4, and anyone at or above 30.0 BMI is considered well above 'overweight'.

Not TC btw. Yea I guess cutting down some is the obvious answer. We run a lot at practice anyway, so as long as the diet is good I guess it'll work out.

BMI doesn't account for muscle. It says Yao Ming is obese.

BMI's are notoriously unreliable for actual numbers. They're based on averages.

If you want a real idea of where you stand, consult a nutritionist/dietitian/local doc who can do it for you.

Regardless of BMI, unless OP is fucking hugely muscled, 5'10" 205 is over weight. We'd need to know a BF% to know for sure, but I'm going to go with the old stand-by - cut fat, and the moobs will go with it.

You fat baseball players piss me off. Do some pec work in the weight room, they melt away. Like butter. If butter took weeks or months to melt away.

your mantits, we needs them

They can be due to roids or genetics. If it's glandular, you can't fix it, you're screwed. If it's not glands, but just fat, then you can lose some weight and it will get better.

In summation, you may be wasting your time, but you need to keep going with diet and exercise to find out.

I'm pretty sure its just fat. I'll just have to cut down on bad foods. The running and workouts from practice will provide good cardio.

>>19045
You can't get rid of them. I'm also 5'10 and got myself down to 165 and STILL had slight manboobs.

I still suggest losing weight though because it's much better to be thin with moobs instead of fat with moobs.

How do busty women do pushups anyway?>

I'm 5'8 and 140lbs. Used to be 170 and had said man boobs. The solution? Running and using a cycle with resistances everyday for over a year. Start running.

signed, ditto, any other memes I can apply this should be where to your attention, because since you mentioned little of it you MUST have poor nutrition.
There. That's great logic.

FINAL VERDICT:
what man boobs can mean is one of two things.
1) fat
2) muscle
I am 6'1 at 200 pounds I work out every other day and drink muscle milk and tone my body. I have man boobs but they are muscle. everyone is right. cardio will take off the man boobs but one thing most ppl forget is that jogging, biking, or swimming are the best ways to take off fat from anywhere because your body doesn't lose fat at a specific area. you gain muscle from specific aerobics but not lose fat. in the end. jog, bike, or swim to lose fat. then pushups for upper strength, curl ups for abs, and more jogging for legs.

26.9 is not obese

Regardless, it says he's overweight, which he certainly isn't.

BMI is crap, and especially crap for athletes of any sort.

Lose bodyfat and the bitch tits go away. If you want a shortcut there's always surgery. its just a good old fat suck out of the chest area, but as with all liposuction, it will come back eventually.

310 is overweight, regardless of height. It is more than the human body was meant to support. As a result he will probably not live as long as shorter, normal weight humans.
>> BOwen !i7E4yRzZEQ
>>19268
More jogging for legs? What about motherfucking squats, the unrivaled champion of lower body exercises? Hell, forget squats. Even a fucking leg press would be better than "more jogging."
>> BOwen !i7E4yRzZEQ
>>19293
The human body isn't built to support (for long) his HEIGHT, which is the problem. The height is the underlying problem, not the weight. He shouldn't go and lose weight, because than he would be far too skinny. It's his overall size that's going to likely kill him earlier in life, not the fact that he weighs 310. He is NOT OVERWEIGHT; he's just a fucking freak of nature.

Nah. Adipose tissue cells rarely 'grow back', they just store more fat and the cells get bigger, so if you literally just suck out all the tissue it won't grow back.

The only legitimate use of BMI is for insurance purposes. Higher BMI is highly correlated with an increase in health issues regardless of athleticism.

yeah, it's true. but living by the beach in florida has the advantage of the bikinis.
so I tend to jog around the beach

to get rid of moobs id say try and progress to muscle ups
