Hey, /fit/ I have a little bit of inspiration for you guys, as well as a question. Last year, starting at the beggining of Jan, I decided I was fed up with my current weight and wanted to go down to something healthy. I went from 255 to 165 in Aug 2007, eating a healthy diet with much smaller portions, and excersing regularly. However, my question for you is this, I am having trouble stabalizing my weight, during a given week I hover anywhere between 170-165, is it normally to keep going up and down? How do I stabalize my self so I remain constantly, is it metabolism, and if so how do I increase mine. Currently I am in the best shape of my life and am developing muscles all over my body, would appreciate the info, thanks guys.

This is normal; you are a human. You eat things and shit them out, you drink water and sweat and piss; this causes your weight to fluctuate slightly

But, from what i've heard/read, people who attain their normal weight, have much smaller standard deviations in terms of weight discrepancy, also another small question, since last year i still have a bit of stomach and moobs, should i go down to 150? is that adviasable or too extreme, im about 5'11 btw

Stop being concerned with weight; it's essentially meaningless. Focus on body fat percentage.

I remember when i started the regime i was at like 35%, and then at the end I was at like 15%, thats before i started doing harder workouts with cardio, havent checked this year. How would I check, whats normal, and whats a good way to lower it? Appreciate it

Are they the most practical way of measuring?

Yes, and they're by far the most accurate.
