so I did my first deadlifts yesterday, and I do feel that it worked my lower back (muscle sore, not spinal pain) but in addition, my hamstrings got fucking KILLED. Like, I can hardly even stand up they are so sore. They feel like fucking jello.

I was under the impression that this was an exercise that was for BACK days, not LEG days. And it certainly did a lot more for my legs than it did my back.

the prime movers in the deadlift are the hamstrings and glutes, with some assistance from the quads at the bottom part

The best thing is when you get ridiculous tunnel vision halfway through the lift.
