/fit/, should I do my daily cardio? Everyday I go for 60 minutes on a very light jog of 4mph. However, the past two days, my upper legs have been aching. I am underageb&, so I may growing, but I dunno. I'd feel very bad if I don't go though, mainly because I have been increasing my calorie intake the past week, so my metabolism has been getting used to it. But the thing is, the whole past week, I haven't gone down a single pound because of it, even with the hour long cardio. Therefore, I'd feel that I'd just gain weight. So, is it pain that I shouldn't worry about and just go, or should I rest and feel bad when I gain weight?

Probably growing.

So I should just go?

here's a simple answer: if your muscles hurt, REST.

Take it from me, I blew out a quad last summer. it felt like someone stabbed me in the leg everytime I took a step for about a month straight.

or, if you really think you'll feel that guilty, go for a long walk.

thanks... anyone else have an opinion?

The previous poster has a point. Hurting yourself sucks. It's all about knowing your own body though.

I don't know my body that well... I just know that I've been fat for too long. I've done well so far, but my calorie intake had been too low. So I'm increasing it now, haven't lost anything despite only increasing 300 calories for now and still exercising the same, which is why I'm worried I may gain weight if I don't do my daily cardio.

anyone else? please?

Do some bodyweight squats, it will burn for a bit but they're great for conditioning your thighs so that shit like that doesn't happen. Also, do stretches.

your body is smarter than you. If it's telling you to rest, do it. There's good pain, like after you've done a hard workout, and there's bad pain; pain that tells you you're about to injure yourself. If you don't rest and end up hurting yourself you'll lose a lot more time recuperating than if you'd just taken it easy in the first place

Drink a glass or two of milk, It'll fix the pain...trust me on this one, its your bones, they need calcium, this always happens if I run and don't drink enough milk.

is that how they work?

4chan should have some sort of automatic scanner and color inverter then to bypass any worksafe filters.

Don't run every day. You have to allow your body some rest. 4 times a week max. 60 minutes is very good. Don't go less. Buy a cardio watch and run in the zone to burn fat (use google-fu).

Your metabolism won't adjust over a week or two. It takes months to change it. Eat less, more frequently. Increase the distance you run every week. Don't let your body stagnates at some level.

4 mph isnt very good cardio. Good cardio is when you have a major fuckton of sweat that completely soaks your entire shirt down. (i dont reccomend this on a daily basis, but you have to sweat a lot for good cardio) I suggest jogging for about 20 minutes at 5.5-6 mph and then walking at about 3.7 or 3.8 at an incline of 3.5 for the rest of the 40 minutes. This gives you a good variation.

As too your upper legs, stretch more, and if it keeps persisting, take a day off. It never hurts to take a breather.
