sup /fit/

By improving my diet and doing some exercise, I've lost around 20-25 lbs over the course of about... 2 months. I feel better for doing so, but I still don't feel happy with my appearance and on top of that I've hit a plateau and can't seem to lose anything.

I'd say that I've got about 2 months to shape up, as I want to look good by Christmas, so what would you recommend for me to do in that timeframe to optimise my weight loss and overall health?

Ideally I want to lose about... 10 to 20lbs.

Eat 800 calories a day for two weeks. Theoretically you should lose about 9lbs.

no this guy is a fag dont listen to him. trust me stick with about 1500-2000 cals and keep up the running like i said.

also the thing is when you run (i read its about 100-130 cals per mile you run) you automatically start making healthy choices. cuz now anytime i have like a piece of candy bar i decide HMMM is 200 cals worth it for 10sec of joy which will cost me 20min of running hurr durr

and then i avoid it

I'd want to avoid running at the minute as

1) I look like shit
2) Where I live, chances are I'll get fucking stabbed going out running.

I do have access to a stationary bike and a set of dumbells though, any suggestions for what I should do time wise with those?

follow my advice with the 800 calories thing. Make sure you do more than an hour of exercise as well each day so that you are going on negative energy. All that BS about starvation mode is bullshit, otherwise anorexics wouldn't be so damn skinny

...and then, loose skin.

If you don't want to run, jump rope will be your friend. Buy one with weighted handles and some ball bearings to make it go around smooth. Most athletic stores should have them for relatively cheap. It'll be kind of goofy and hard to do at first, but within about a week's time of consistent jump roping you should be able to keep a good pace on it. I suggest HIIT style jump roping. That'll burn fat, and probably do other things for you. Plus, it's better for your joints than running 1-2 hours a day.

what about food?
any must-eats?
>> Anonymous
Well, I'm stuck in Japan and all they feed me here is tiny portions of food and then a shit ton of rice. So I'm not sure about the must eats anymore. The jump rope is bound to help! I started jump roping when I started boxing and lost like 15lbs while gaining lots of muscle definition in my abs, back, and shoulders. The weighted handles on a jump rope are the key, man! As far as food, just be sensible. I'm not a dietitian and everyone is bound to tell you different things.

just avoid fatty foods and maybe eat alot of fiber. go for carbs/protein otherwise.

if u want the generic guide to losing weights u gota:

morning breakfast (must): oatmeal w/ fat free milk, 1 fruit, glass of water (well you should be drinking water throughout day not just for meals)

4 hour later: a sandwhich or somthing like tuna or turkey

4 hour later: another small meal or if u workout during this time eat an protein shake

if u eat the protein shake then an hour later eat a full meal otherwise 4 hr later eat full meal

then before u go sleep drink protein shake wif milk and go sleep and repeat

It sounds like you're already on track, OP. Just stick w/ what you're doing now, up the intensity so your body doesn't adapt and enjoy the ride.

You'll definitely lose 10-20 moar lbs before Christmas.
