So, I'm 6'3'', 246 lbs, 22 years old, and I work out 3-5 times a week, which gives me a BMR of right around 3700 calories, by Harris Benedict. I know I should be eating 2700-3200 calories a day for weight loss, but ever since I've been eating healthy, real food, I'm finding it really easy to just eat 2k-2.2k a day. Like, I have to stuff my face to break around 2600 or so.

What's the drawback of eating >1000 calories under maintenance? Am I gonna plateau? I kinda figured I would just eat 2k until my BMR is low enough to match, but I wanna know if I'm being unhealthy. I don't get hungry at all.

Pic related, it's a lion.

Well I can't imagine anyone eating 2700 calories a day and losing weight unless they are obese, which you are not.

Funny you should mention that, because my BMI makes me obese. I know that BMI is kind of a shit measurement, but I just find that a little odd. I certainly don't think I'm obese... I have a bit of a gut and I know I'm definitely overweight, but I look and feel like I'm an overall healthy dude who could stand to lose 20 lbs.

obese isn't necessarily fat ass. if you were morbidly obese, there would be a difference. not to mention that you're only. .7 into obese territory, and muscle is heavier than fat and what not.
