Hey /fit/, what's the deal with the 'No Food Beyond 8pm' faggotry? Is there any truth to this? Like, is it a cosmic decree that if you insist on chewing and swallowing that last morsel of food around 8:05pm, you're doomed to be a fat fuck for all eternity? Or is it more of a 'No Food x hours before bedtime'? Or is it safe to eat (hopefully not too unhealthy) food right before you call it a night and it will have no bearing on weight loss/gain or metabolism whatsoever?

Because I've been eating lots of late dindins lately and although I don't go to bed til around 1 a.m., it's getting a bit harder to lose lbs. Is this because of the above or is it (hopefully) just my miserly, fat-hoarding jew of a body telling me that I need to put more effort into losing blubber?

It matters because your body absorbs more calories total. If you don't want to lose weight, then feel free to eat before bed. It is good for people body building to eat protein before bed because it will absorb while you are not burning any energy away.

That is only if you aren't a fatty. If you are lifting, muscle repair does use energy. If you are losing weight, you shouldn't eat before bed.

No that is the cancer since you understood it to mean literally. when most people hear food they see pizza, burgers, fatty meats which are 'bad' for you at all times.

Fact 1: Body needs constant supply of energy to run. meaning carbs, protein, fats but they don't follow this and eat crap (See above).

So what people say is just "don't eat" since people are fucking stupid in general.
