sup, /fit/. Now, I'm fairly physically fit to start with, 5'10, 160+lbs, 10% body fat. Now, I've been at this level for years: I'd try working out, but seeing no results over 4 months or so (not one pound gained) I'd give up.

So I beseech you for advice: How do I get bigger? I admit I don't know much about the ways of the gym, or weights, or what a good regimen is. What can I do, and how much should I do it?
Preferably, I'd like to work on my shoulders, arms, and pecs, in that order.

Pic related, it's me a few weeks ago. Yes I know: My mirror is filthy.

eat 4 eggs and a steak every day, and do high weight/low reps.

Learn about the bulk and cut cycle. First you spend 4 months "bulking" by eating ~500 calories per day over your maintenance, and doing strength training to build muscle and general mass.

Then you spend 2 months "cutting" by including more cardio, lifting for hypertrophy, and cutting out as much fat and sugar as possible. The goal is to burn off fat without losing muscle.

you didn't get gain cause you didn't eat right be sure to research how much calorries you need and protein otherwise well you won't grow or see results it'ss like a fat man complaining he still fat when he eats 10 meals a day from mcdonalds but runs for 2hrs cause he heard he can lose weight that way.

Another issue. I have an absurdly high metabolism, which may factor into this. And the sheer cost of eating out (Which I have to do, I'm only home in the morning and evening) would exacerbate this. If this requires eating 4 hefty meals a day, I don't think I could afford it. Are there any other solutions? I don't care so much about rapid weight gain, I simply wish for some sort of results.

You don't HAVE to eat out. Get a can opener, put it in your bag and then get cans of chunk light tuna. Shit, I knew a guy who keeps a jar of peanut butter with him and just eats constantly. He is the same build as you (and I) but with 20-30 lbs more muscle. Get some whey protein and eat 2-3 scoops of that at night in some milk or water (Evening and morning are free right? make a shake and take it with you if possible, if not chug it down. I know people who make them in advance and put 'em in the fridge). Try to get natural peanut butter if you have the patience (oil seperates and rises, so you have to stir it a lot) because it's healthier. Lunchmeat sandwiches, whole wheat bread, prepare this kind of shit and take it with you. While you're out you can go to wendy's and pick up like 4 chicken sandwiches ($4.00, your metabolism can handle it if you're working out, if you notice negative consequences of this [fat] then simply quit). There are ways. Some people preach on eating shitloads of oats which is like two bucks for a lifetime supply, I dunno, you'll have to google that one.
