Hey /fit/

So i've started doing an early morning jog to supplement my afternoon workout.

I wake up at 6 AM and run for like 15 minutes give or take then get ready for school.

Is this win?

You're the retard son. Different needs, different methods. Now kindly fuck off.

while its nice to get the body working, just 'jogging' is likely going to leave absolutely minimal impact on one's body composition.

think about it, you'll burn @ mos ~120 calories and do it its aerobic nature, THATS IT, no EPOC, as found w/HIIT. and considering that @ rest...you'd be burning about half of that....you get a NET GAIN burn of a whooping 75cal....<clap clap clap> do some BW exercises or something else, squats, chins, pushups. that will make a much larger difference.

implying over the course of just 15 minutes.

still, something is better than nothing, and you have to start somewhere...

It is win, and I am proud of you.
A little bit extra every day, goes a very long way.

When do you go to sleep?

15 min jog is not win. Instead, jog for 5 mins then do HIIT for 5 mins: 8 secs sprinting 12 secs jogging. Really push yourself and you'll get a serious cardio workout in 10 mins.

honestly after 10 mins is the when you finally break the oxygen deficit that your body overcomes. after that you should maintain a 60% maximum heartrate (220-age) in beats per min for @ least 30 mins to consider your worthwhile cardio experience well.....worthwhile. this is what ive been taught in a health and wellness course @ gordon college, so fuck all this internet bullshit ppl say off their opinions. have a good day

your course was completely worthless

MHR derived from anything but Karvonen is fucking laughable, even more so for youth.

enjoy your class teaching advice circa 1972, back when American studies on steroids 'proved' that the juice had 'limited to no effect on mussel growth'

lol, a nice, gentle 60%
