Hey /Fit/

I been running for about 2 months and lost about 7 pounds, while good I don't think this is enough, so I thought Id step it up a notch but have many.. many doubts. Bare with me for yet another "HELP ME NOT BE A FATASS" post will ya?

First of all the routine, right now I have no access to.. well anything, so its basically body weight since my main goal is fat loss. In two months I'll have access to a real gym, squat rack and everything and then I'll come back here probably tho Im looking at starting rippetoes which seems to be the default noob strength builder.

Anyway Im 5'7 and 168 pounds, the idea is to loose as much fat as possible as quickly as possible. I was thinking of splitting my days into 2 sessions, morning and afternoon.

Morning would be the same throughout the week:

HIIT session of 5 min warmup, then 1:1 ratio (1min each) x5 then 5 min cool-down

this means its a 20 min workout then shower and breakfast.

afternoon session would be my "strength" portion as I lack any and all strength. I was thinking of something like the following:

(OP here didnt fit all in 1 post)

My other major flaw is nutrition, so far I've only given up soda which I guess is a step in the right direction. I calculated my maintenance to be 1830 kcal problem is I dont know what activity modifier to multiply it by to get a rough number of what I need to eat.

Other thing is I dont know what to eat, any very very simple and no varied meal plans I can look at? I know Im not gonna get everything down to the dot since Im a noob and probably gonna screw up a meal or two but a rough Idea of what I should eat would be great.

Thanks in advance.

weight lifting promotes fat loss.

if you're overweight and out of shape as you say you are, i'm unsure if you can do even one pull-up.

why two months for a gym? it's the fastest ticket to weight loss paired with cardio...preferably HIIT.

OP here: gotta wait two months cuz I'll be settled into College by then, all the gyms near me have a minimum six month membership = fail, just need to loose some weight before college so I can use their gym.

Slightly off topic here; I would've hoped a college student would know the difference between lose and loose.

You can get fit with body weight.

Get someone to stand on your feet while you lay on your stomach. Raise yourself up and get a fist under your chest, then, holding yourself, stretch your arms to the side, straight out, both of them. Hold for 30 seconds, then move them to your temples. Then another 30 later, in front of you.

Situps and pushups are good. Do diamond and tricep pushups too.

Hold yourself on your side on the ground so you are only touching with your hand an one foot, then swap sides. Be sure to place the load on your arm, not your foot. Tricep dips. Squats. Squat jumps. Shadowboxing.

The list goes on.
