sup /fit/, joined airforce, weigh about 185-188 lbs, wanna lose 20 more pounds and also be fit so boot camp doesn't completely rape every orifice of my body, just some of them. Guess its a bit lazy of me to ask for a schedule, but dunno what to do. The plan the airforce gave is it to just run alot along with useful pushups and situps. But what wisdom does /fit/ have for me? I beseech you for any knowledge

They dont call it the Chairforce for nothing. You will pass unless you are like 400 lbs or a cripple.

Do the chairforce plan they gave you, and go on Atkins. That extra 20 lbs you're carrying? Accumulation of extra carbs. Now it's time for low-carbs. Don't be a slut and eat nothing but bacon, get on fucking google and research that shit.

The plan they gave you is the plan for a reason. At least for the APFT, basically all they test you on is 1. running 2. sit ups and 3. push ups. There's some chin ups and flexibility and shit in there, but if you can do the first three, you can do the rest.

And don't stress about an extra 20lbs. Like the other guy said, you'll get passed. It isn't fucking Ranger school.

LOL. That was the case up to 2003, when the new PT test started.

Former SSgt-fag here. Look, the AF basic training is not going to rape you in "any orifice" unless you're a brain-dead mook who can't do exactly WHAT he's told to do WHEN he's told to do it.

TL;DR Keep your eyes and ears OPEN, and your mouth SHUT. DON'T VOLUNTEER FOR ANYTHING, DO NOT RAISE YOUR HAND LIKE A DUMBASS. Srsly, trust me on this.

If you can do running/situps/pushups decently, you're fine. Even if you're not good at them when you get there, you'll get plenty of practice and a supervised diet.

I'm joining the Marines, volunteering seems like a pretty lulz-worthy thing to do. Shits gonna be so cash, considering that I"m a genetic freak
