There's no quick way to do it. It's a complete lifestyle change. You have to eat right, always consider your calories you're eating, give up all drinks except water, start eating whole grains, no candy, whole grain pasta (best if no pasta is eaten), not much dairy, no fast food, ect... You'll be shoveling down vegetables, fruit, and lean meats like chicken breasts and fish (not fried but baked, grilled, ect). Whenever you go out to eat you'll be thinking fuck I'm gonna have to run an extra 2 miles to make up for this.
Of course you don't HAVE to give it ALL up at once, but you will eventually need to wing yourself off of it.
It's not easy but you can do it, I started at 6' 286 and I'm down to 278 in a few weeks.
That being said, HIIT isn't really for fatasses starting out. Hit the bike or elliptical, the treadmill will hurt your knees. Give it a few weeks/months and you can start HIIT.
Unless you're in fairly good shape now, you won't really see results in a month. Plus if you want to look good, that usually involves having muscles showing, which will involve a lot of lifting. Losing weight and gaining muscle aren't usually done with success at once.
So basically, you waited too long to decide you want to get in shape now.
