/fit/, I have really flat feet. I think this may be due to myself being fat all of my life. They are flat and wide. Whenever I wear some shoes, the bottoms end up getting screwed up, no matter what ( I've tried arch supports ). I am fat. Will losing weight stop this? Also, could you recommend some good wide shoes that can fit my feet better?
>>118296you should lose weight for health reasons, uneven wear on the soles of your shoes is the least of your worries if you want to live past the age of 50
>>118297I am, i just want to know if it'll stop when I'm at a regular size. Or if I have to buy wider shoes to accommodate it.
>>118303this is /fit/ not /chiropody/
Losing weight would help stop it, obviously. But the shoe problem is probably because your shoes are too loose and drag when you walk.
I have always been heavy... I'm at ~280 right now and I don't have flat feet...Am I just lucky?
>>118313They can be pretty tight sometimes, and my feet never quire fit in regular shoes.I think I'll just wait until I lose the weight.
I was always under the assumption that flat feet were genetic. The only guy I know who has them isn't even overweight (in fact he's something of a scarecrow).
oddballshoes.comi has size 16 us feet and don't wear leather and they can help me find shoes, so good luck.
i think OP's problem may be FAT feet, not flat feet.i wish there was some way to poke all the /fit/ fattards in the belly and run away laughing at them. i would do it to OP like 8 times.
I have flat feet and I am not fat... I think it is genetic
>>118558you are not op

flat feet is definitely not from fat >_<
New Balance makes shoes in a 6E.And also, lost weight.
Flat feet has nothing to do with being fat or vice versa you faggot stop making up excuses
this is a dumb question, but how do i tell if i have flat feet? the inside part of my foot has a bit of an arch, but the outside part of my foot is pretty much flat.
>>119186that's normalflat feet is when your entire sole is more or less flat
I don't think you get flat feet simply from being fat. I have flat feet (purchased new balance shoes for this reason but learned from the running specialist that they aren't some miracle shoe and it's still good to find a cheap insole to help.)I don't really have any advice to offer except lose weight and ride a bike.
