Fatass here. 1.66m, 85kg, which makes me officially obese (31). I need to lose 15kg to get my BMI to normal (25) so I'm making that my target for now.
I changed my life 2 weeks ago and everyday I've been eating healthy (lots vegetables, fish, fruit, oatmeal, water, no junk whatsoever) and jogging 20-30 minutes every night and walking 30 minutes to work every morning. As of next Monday I'll also have a bike, on which I plan to ride for 1-2 hours every evening.

How many weeks/months will it take with this lifestyle to reach my goal?

Depends. If you keep your willpower at full, it might be as less as 3 months. If you are a bit slippy, it might take 6 months.

Also, have a cheat day once a week. Helps boost your metabolism, but dont OVERDO it. A Bigmac and a coke is enough in a cheat day. Or a pizza.

To tell, i had a success story when i was only 14 years old. I decided to quit wasting my time in front of the computer and i had a BMI of 29 at the time. Well, 3 months later it had been dropped to 26.

Whatever happens, just keep going.

if it was simply dieting, you'd probably drop upwards of 2.2 kilos the first week, with your rate of weight loss gradually decreasing until it hits about 1 kilo/week. At that rate you'd be sitting at about 14 weeks to lose the weight, assuming you didn't hit a plateau along the way. The exercise will easily help boost that number. When I went to field training we were marching/running everywhere and only eating healthy. I dropped a *lot* of weight in about a month. I'd wager in the neighborhood of 10 kilos or so.

Cool, I definitely have the willpower. So 1-4 months depending on how much I exercise?

make it part of your necessary day. So bike to and from work every day and you'll pile on cardio hours like no tomorrow

Doesn't matter, the hard part is over. Just don't quit.
