Bench 140 x5 Squat 190 x5 Dead 240 x5

Fitness exam today showed Body weight 190. Body fat % 11. Calories needed for normal activities 3100.

I am currently doing stronglifts 5 x5. Very little cardio due to my difficulty gaining weight/strength.

History of Cross country, cycling, martial arts, and last two years lifting on and off. Gained 10 pounds in last year, probably a few % body fat so I could bulk up with excess calories.

Suggestions? I currently want to work in some cardio, but don't want to cut back on strength gains. Also don't have time to eat much more than I do...

you're telling me you've been doing them lifts for 2 years and that's all you can do

within my first 2 months i went from doing a 95lb squat 5x to doing a 175lb squat 5x and I weigh 160 lbs
i think deadlift started at 115x5 and was around 220-230x5 within 2 months

maybe you're not eating correctly or you're not doing the program right. what I do is first 2 days do whatever workout they post on www.crossfit.com / www.performancemenu.com / www.gymjones.com / www.mtnathlete.com and then on the 3rd day do 1 random lift 5x5
1-Back Squats
2-Deadlift
3-Bench
4-Power Clean
5-Presses (Shoulder, Push, Thrusters)
6-Clean and Jerk
7-Snatch
and then rest 1 day

Totally on and off for 2 years. Changed up with boxing and running = poor gains. That is why I am trying to focus on lifting. I plateaued about 6 months ago, started running to enjoy the weather/got lazy with eating and now I am back to that level.

So yah, I know the lifts are weak, that is why I focus on them.

Over the last month and a half bench 110 x 5 to current, squat 150 to current and dead 190 to current

The cross fit board was interesting, Work out everyday, just doing one lift sometimes?

I have tried to force myself to only go to the gym 3 days a week due to hardgainer tendencies of my body.

i wouldn't recommend working out everyday, 3days on 1 day off is the usual which can be pretty brutal if you're new to the regiment. but you can break it up. 3 days on 1 day off 2 days 1 day off 1 day on 1 day off 3 days on 1 day off... etc until you can recover faster

If you don't know HOW to eat, then adjust WHAT you eat. Try eating stuff with more calories when you can (that's obviously what you sound like you want) but more than that, start eating stuff with more protien. Look at the nutrition facts on stuff for more on that. But good tip is this. Tuna is good for cheap and plentiful protien. Beef Stew has alot of stuff in it period (including decent protien) and it tastes great. So those are some basic ideas for you to toy with.
