High fructose corn syrup (henceforth referred to as "fuckstarch") is so bad for you. It's the reason why a lot of people are diabetic or obese, in fact, as it's the primary culprit in soda.
Aspartame, on the other hand, is certainly no health-food. Some people raise the issue of it being a carcinogen, while some say it's harmless. My advice? Don't risk it. Drink good ol' fashioned H20, the only downside is having to piss 10 times a day; the shit goes right through you.
