Pain Anonymous
/fit/

Yesterday I was sitting down in my computer chair and once I stood up my lower back started hurting. It was not a muscle pain, but felt like more of a nerve pain. There is a lot of pressure, and I cannot stand up straight. It is hard for me to move in general.

I was driving home and the pain and pressure was so intense, and the pain radiated down my right leg to my knee. I have been taking ibuprofen around the clock and using a heating pad/ice. Is there anying else I can do? Or should I just go see a doctor? I have to work the next five days and I cannot even walk! I dont know what to do. Help me /fit/!

Lye down as much as possible. Get a back brace for those time when you do have to move around. Keep icing and using pain killers.

what if he has like a kidney stone?
well nvm... it wouldn't radiate to your leg...

3 points of pain for kidney stones.
1. Location of kidneys
2. Your crotch
3. Location of your bladder

If its a nerve pain, just try not stressing it, apply warm stuff, like woolen scarf or something to your waist

I had not considered that. I was just giving the advice a doctor gave me when I pinched a nerve in my back and couldn't walk because it was so painful.

I would just take it easy if I were you. Don't worry too much unless your legs and/or feet get numb or tingle.

you injured your back sitting in a fucking chair?
christ, I fractured my spine from a fall and 2 years later I am doing squatz, deadliftz and unloading trailers for a part time job. I have back pain but I deal with it.
Just fucking kill yourself plz.

it's fucking retarded to ask for a diagnosis of a musculoskeletal problem without even so much a picture.

Go see a freaking medical professional.
>> if you got the cash, doc.. if not here you go. Murdoc
I had a base the spine injury from lifting crap a long time ago. Nerve pitching pain that went down my leg and eventually lead to alot of numbness of my right leg.
It didn't show up again (luckily it went away pretty fast after 2 days) till a little before I fell on my ass when trying to lay concrete. Didn't feel it when I fell but it showed up later with sitting to adjusting my self in bed.
Look up a bit of yoga (I think laying dog is where you get on the ground and bend your knees, then lean forward and relax there for awhile.. seemed to help me), get a tub and fill it with enough hot (as you can stand) and take something with aspirin in it (read the label, I believe it is suppose to be an anti inflammatory). Try to avoid sitting for too long or lifting things too heavy (at certain angles) when you can avoid it.
Also, if you boss won't can you on the spot, see if you can be put on a less straineous job for a bit. Good luck with the Boss-man.
P.S.- try these things I recommend gingerly. My back and yours are not exacly the same, yours might be worse/better. Take care.
