chins, pullups, various grip related stuff like working on pinch grip and static holds (eg deadlift), also levering sledgehammers, making yourself a wrist roller (its really simple) and using that a lot- maybe running so you lose some weight and its easier to get yourself up there? lol
from what I hear though you use your hands mostly as balance and really try to push with your legs (until you reach advanced stages where you are under an overhang and need to pull your body up with just your hands), so ideally you would train your legs and arms (this can be achieved by squatting and deadlifting with a barbell)
Honestly all of the above stuff would benefit you in general (especially the wrist stuff as rehab work, because climbing will be killer on your wrists/tendons/ligaments unless you are 140 soaking wet- notice most climbers are not 200 pounds plus)
that said- the best way to get better at climbing is, as stupid as it sounds to climb more. Using the above stuff will build your strength but your technique can only improve through practice. Good luck, I also want to get into climbing it looks cool.
