Alright /fit/, how fast? Anonymous
How fast can you do 50 burpees? Making sure to jump 1' each time?

I'm about to go do it so I'll post my time back later.

What the hell is a burpee?

Don't look at the pic, it obviously isn't how to do a burpee. I mean, that's why it's called burpee.jpg, because it's totally unrelated.

probably 3mins 50 seconds? I find burpees really hard. I'll time when I do them next.

Man, i tried to do them for the first time (with one push up each time), and after the 15th one i'm already out of breath and I have this sensation of burning in my thighs :/

I suck

Burpees are surpisingly fucking difficult.

You might get to 10 or 15 and think "oh gee, this is easy, I'm fucking alpha" but 5 or 6 burpees later and you're crying bloody tears on the mats.

anything sub 3:00 mins is very fucking good.

50 jumps in a row and 50 pushups in a row by themselves are so hard, but what makes the burpee so hard is that you're changing the direction of blood flow, it makes it harder for your body to process oxygen.

With a push up or without?

OP here...

I did mine with quite a strict push up for each one. I've only just started doing them so my form was mostly shite, but in general I split the burpee into each component like a military drill.

I ended up with a time of 6:34... it's a start I guess.

You don't have to really stress the push up though, bext to go for the most fluid movement possible probably.

Fuck I'm sweating so much for 6:30 mins of work.
