Yeah, that's a good start. Honestly, OP, you're doing fine. By doing your own exercises, you're probably more motivated than if you had some know-it-all here start carping about all kinds of things that aren't really important to you and might overwhelm your initiative. Until you get to the point where lifting what you're lifting becomes trivially easy and you really need a new challenge, I'd keep doing exactly what you're doing. Starting from 0 is the hardest part. Your mission right now is to keep that up, for at least a month. If you can do that, you will be succeeding.
