protein powder isn't absolutely necessary, as long as you eat three large meals per day, and supplement those with a shitload of milk.
i personally use Serious Mass (pic related) and it seems to get the job done.
do full body workouts 3x per week till you build up enough strength to create a split workout routine. lift heavy till you can't lift any more. rest lots and eat lots.
