I'm actually about to go run, myself, as soon as it gets light.
No bullshit, man: Drink water. Always have a glass of ice water with you throughout the day and just sip on it. Get some vitamins, take them daily, you can still eat foods you like, just don't OVEReat, and don't eat sugary/fatty foods in excess. Moderation is key here.
Also, try to just snack through the day instead of feasting twice daily.
The first week of running is the worst, man, trust me. The first few days suck because you're out of shape, it hurts, your body is not used to the pain you're inflicting, etc., and you can't even see results yet. I'm telling you, bro, if you stick with it (3+ times a week, I run pretty much every day), you'll not only lose weight, but you'll begin to really appreciate running and not only what it does for you physically, but mentally as well.
