When doing HIIT, about how long should the bouts of running and walking be? Should I just run as fast as I can until I get out of breath and then walk until I'm back to baseline, or what?

Start with 45 second jogs and 15 second sprints, go for 10-15 minutes. Eventually work up to 20 minutes. Once there switch to a 30 second jog and 30 second sprint. Keep your HIIT workouts to a 20 minute max.
