so, I do alot of pull ups, it's my main upper body exercise.my question is thus: is there an ideal placement for my hands? How would bringing them closer or placing them farther apart affect the muscles?I've tried recently placing them at the very edges of my pull up bar, and I feel as if it's working out the muscles a bit harder.Any thoughts?
If you move your hands away from each other, it works the outer chest muscle, while moving them closer works the inner chest.
close grip=traps.wide grip=lats.

>>294315lol, you too?fucking inner and outer chest mussles
>>294295What if you cross your hands? :D
>>294322Pain
>>294314then might it be a good idea to switch it up? Like, do one set far apart, then the next set close together?
It's not going to make much of a fucking difference

also, what's a good target amount of pull ups to do in a day? In a set?
>>294460If you can do more than 15 or so, start adding weight to it.
>>294464more than 15 in a row?
>>294472Yea. You could start earlier than that, but that's a good starting point.
>>294475great, I've got my goal!I'm currently at 8 maximum.
wider grip is great if you can get the form right, ir works a much broader area of your back and a more comprehensive burn in general. Arnie reckoned the wider the better, and he was buff as fuck.also sqwatz
