>>292583 I have a lot of trouble. The leanest I'd ever been was somewhere between 9-12% BF (I think inching more towards 12%), and I felt damn lean, even though I was only one notch above "normal" or "good". This was probably the high point of my life, but afterwards I got very, very depressed and demotivated, began eating like shit, and now I'm anywhere from 15-18% and have no desire whatsoever to lean back down. Well, I do, but I just don't care enough.
You have to talk to yourself in your head and decide if you're ready to bear it, grit your teeth and just tough it the hell out. You need a high mental and physical threshold. Some guys are skinny/naturally lean cause they just don't like to eat, with the rare occasion that you meet someone with a super fast metabolism. For us hungry men, it's a constant battle against yourself.
I dieted for 6 months, went from a ridiculously high BF to the 9-12% I mentioned, and I had never worked so hard for something in my life, and it felt great. But now, I'm just too depressed and demotivated to do anything else, even outside of my body composition goals. You have to want it, it's not going to come to you. You have to REALLY want it.
