WORKING OUT WHEN SICK Anonymous
sup mis/fit/s

What are your opinions on working out/keeping fit when sick?

Do you take a few days off to recover completly? Do you suck it up and go no matter what? What are some experiences with trying to run/lift when sick. Relapses?

Any info would be great. I'm sick right now, and I already missed one work out, I don't want to miss another.

Is it contagious? I doubt people would be happy if you got them sick at the gym.

Don't workout with a fever or if you think you'll get exhausted when doing your regular sets.

It will put enormous strain on your heart since it and your body is already over-heating, trying to recoup and you're weaker than usual. I doubt it would give much if you cannot pull your regular gym-shift anyway.

But then again, I'm just a nurse.

Bling blong.

My training is basically an endurance one, so it doesn't really matter all that much to me if I'm sick, I just tire out a bit faster and that is about it.

If my training was that of a power lifter, I'd probably die while doing squats with usual weights on a 2-4 repetition regime. So no, I wouldn't workout then.

Most honorable.

If you're sick, rest so you get better.

Not too complex. Then work out harder when you're better. Instead of doing a bunch of half assed shit while prolonging your illness.
