Let me break this shit down like a fraction.
To GAIN Muscle, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If these calories are not in the form of fat, and you workout hard, you will put these extra calories on as lean muscle. If these calories are fat, then you will get fat.
To get big and ripped, you need to do them one at a time. First, you need to bulk(eat more than you burn), and once you've reached your ideal weight, you need to cut(eat less than you burn) to burn of the extra bodyfat you put on while bulking
