I'm broke, /fit/, but I still want to lose weight(I'm 6'2", 195lbs). It's too cold to run (today it was in the teens) so over the winters I build up fat like a bear. Pretty much the only thing I've got in my house are some old weights that are only like 5lbs each. I can't do pushups because my right elbow is fucked up thanks to a childhood injury and it can't support my weight.

What's a good exercise for keeping active that doesn't require equipment?

no such animal as too cold to run, unless you're well below zero. buy yourself a balaclava that covers nose and mouth and a thermal track suit and hit the road, be sure to wear gloves.

If you're really truly broke, try jumping rope - there's a reason boxers do it, it's great cardio. Otherwise, join a gym, cheapass.

Wear a bunch of heavy clothing, like 4 sets of sweats. Soak in a warm water bath, then go wander around outside a bit. Go back inside when you start feeling cold.

You'll lose weight rather quickly.
