Is it possible to lose weight simply by eating less?

Yes, I know, EXERCISE SQUATZ etc, but I don't really like doing that often and I don't really give a shit about being in shape. Plus it makes sense that if you have fewer calories in then out your body will get the difference from body fat, right?

Pic related, as I fear I am headed down that road.

Absolutely not possible to lose weight by eating less. It won't happen. Sorry.

Continue to eat like you do.

It doesn't work like that. It's what we call elasticity.

You can lose weight by eating more. Just buy additional hamburger every day and see what I mean!

OP here, you guys sure are trolls.

Let me clarify; I noticed that I have gained weight over the past few months and was wondering if I could lose it without having to go on some sort of shitty exercise plan.

But you burn a certain amount of calories just sitting around, yes? Plus I do walk to classes and such. So if I just take in less then that shouldn't I lose weight?

Only drink water... Nuff said

ok fine if you're too god-damned lazy to work out then try eating cleaner food. this does not mean eat less or starve yourself - but rather - eat healthier alternatives.

Instead of a egg mcmuffin with hashbrowns, mix an egg or two with egg whites and have a side of oatmeal with blueberries. Instead of pizza and beer have some chicken, lean beef, fish with steamed vegetables. etc.

eating healthier by itself will help you to lose weight, but this is something you'll have to do for years and for the rest of your life in order to see results, especially without a "shitty exercise plan"

DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

FUCKING RAGE

I BURN CALORIEZ WHEN I COOK FOODZ, SO WITH THAT DEFICIT I'LL EAT 2 SLICES OF PIZZA INSTEAD OF 3

But it is true, isn't it?

I think I mostly gained the weight because I ate a lot of shit over the summer (I worked at a fast food place, and employee discounts=cheap shitty food).

I don't really eat that sort of thing a lot during the year though, so will it just basically even out?

Yes, but if it's a lot to lose and you won't be building muscle, prepare for saggy skin.

it depends on your metabolism, but in the case of OP - he probably doesn't have the kind of metabolism where you could eat a boatload of fried food and be skinny.

it's true that people constantly burn calories throughout the day, but it's negligible when trying to lose weight. people don't just sit at home and say OK BODY, TIME TO LOSE WEIGHT. eating less may work but if the OP rebounds and just has over 9000 meals one day then everything is fucked.

tl;dr - eat healthier and jump on a treadmill (but don't break it)

OP here,

is also me. I felt I was giving the impression that I was already horribly obese so I explained my situation a little more.
