Pushups use the same weight, increasing rep\set, so you'd build endurance in similair muscle sets to the benchpress.
Bench you could build endurance, but lets be honest, we're not going to do 200 reps of a 40kg bench, it's about the 3-12 rep range to build size and strength with bench.
Oh, and to the person who said about pushups using more stabilizers is silly, which uses more stabilizers: holding your self off the ground
holding 2 50kg dumbells from the bottom to the top of the range of motion of a benchpress
even barbell uses more stabilizers because otherwise you'll be doing pullovers or crushing your stomach.
Pushups just require ab tension, which becomes completely negligible like a week down the track.
