OK /fit/, hopefully this isn't like most of your bullshit questions.I'm 5'10", 155 lbs. Got some muscle and some tone, but also some extra fat hanging around my belly, tits, and hips (I am a guy). After tomorrow I'm going to be able to hit the gym hard after a period of relative inactivity (just pushups, running, and situps, no serious weight training the last few months).Currently I'm eating about 2000 calories a day with 130-170 grams of protein. When I'm trying to bulk up, will that protein and caloric intake work? I want to cut my fat as well. Would I be better off increasing calories for a month while bulking, then cutting for another month at 2000 calories while continuing my workouts?TL;DR should I eat >2000 cals a day to bulk, then cut, or should I try to bulk up muscle with a good protein intake while also losing fat through low caloric intake (2000 cal/day)?Pic unrelated.
bulk at 3000 - 3500 calories for a year.then cut for 4 months
>>139636Why for a year? I'm looking at trying to have cut most my fat (which isn't a lot, but is still something I want to get rid of) by about 3 months time. Also, I should note that I have a pretty slow metabolism.
calories - use what you need, cuntrag.Fuck the bulking/cutting shit. Do your time in the gym and eat right.
>>139653I do eat right. I'm just not sure if it's better for me to eat a modest diet with a good amount of protein in order to cut fat while I try to gain muscle, or if I should seperate those processes by alternating between more and less calories.
