Alright /fit/,

I'm 6'0, 220 pounds. Though, for some guys that may not be bad for their size. Though at 6'0, my frame isn't build for the weight. I have a pudge and some man-tits. Not as big as most, but bigger than some.

My dilemma is I have a wedding some time in July, possibly August. I need to lose this shit so I can look good for the wedding. I've stopped smoking, cut out the alcohol, and I only drink a few sodas. I want to get down to about 200 to 190. I have about 700 in cash put back for the course, and I need some tips and help on how to do it in that time frame.

P.S. Pic related. As a fat hax would halp.

5-6 weeks? Doable. Switch to diet soda. Walk for about an hour every morning when you wake up. Walk fast enough to break a sweat, preferably in an area with hills and shit to climb. Combine this excercise with less and healthier food than you're eating now and the weight will drop in no time. Don't like healthy food? Just make it spicy.

The key here is to really fucking do this. Be hardcore about this shit and cowboy through it for the first period. Once you start seeing the results the rest will be a cakewalk.

Having a wedding is a great motivator. Take a picture of yourself looking really fat and put it up on your wall. Whenever you see it you'll want to do something about it.

make it a 100, fatboy...

stay away from (bad) carbs, like sugar and the like.

Eat several times a day, but small servings.

If you want it to be REAL effective, stay away from everything save meat and water. IE, no carbs whatsoever, but this will only last a few weeks since you'll get REALLY tired, plus you loose out on some other nutritiens aswell.

Putting his body into ketosis is arguably stupid.

Make the other 20% green tea.

Aside from that...

Do a good 45 mins of cardio every morning as soon as you wake up, before breakfast if you want to lose that shit by August.

Cut up your meals to ~300 calorie portions-- ensure that each of your meals is high in protein and fiber, low in starchy carbs (breads pasta etc) and minimal in saturated fats (no fried shit).

Take some fish oil tablets.

Eat 6 times a day. Get a good 8 hours of sleep every night. Do weights once or twice a week, on top of your cardio routine. Have your complex carbs in your first 2 meals in which you have about the same amount of carbs as protein (carbs from wheat-- oatmeal-- and things such as yams). Have fewer carbs in your third meal, none in your meals after that.

IMPORTANT!! Every fourth day, spoil yourself with some carbs. Keyword: SOME. Don't blow out your diet. But have some brown rice, wheat bread, potatoes with all your meals. The law is, if you kill it or grow it, eat it. On this day you'll feel extremely happy and your muscles will pump up. Good idea to do your weights on this day. Also, if you're gonna have a cheat meal (which is suggested so you don't go insane-- keep it one per week), have it on your carb day. A slice of pizza for example.

After this day, revert to your normal moderately-low carb diet, ready to 'carb load' in another four days.

Aside from that, NO FUCKING SUGARS, NO FIZZY DRINKS WHATSOEVER. GOT ME?

If you stick to this plan, get your cardio in EVERY morning to the point where you're gasping for air afterwards (you can give your body a day a week for rest), you should be able to pull through. If approaching the date you find you're still not meeting your target, and I know this'll sound crazy, but aside from your morning session, do ANOTHER cardio session in the evening.

This shit is simple, but it isn't easy. You can do it if you really want to do it, nobody's telling you you can't... but the returns come at a price. You're gonna sweat till you gasp for air, you're gonna walk by your favourite unhealthy food, sniff it and just walk away again. But in the end, it'll be well worth it.

After 3-4 weeks of cardio i'd suggest he moves onto HIIT, but the rest of it is pretty airtight.

I dont take fish oil tablets, are they just for joints?

Yes.

HIIT is pretty hardcore for beginners.

When I say cardio I do not mean "walk a brisk steady pace for 45 mins". Logic says that you get out of this as much as you put in... so if during your workout you feel energetic enough to start running, do it.

Good idea for the OP's weight is exercise bike or ellipticals, which are easier on the joints. Push yourself to get results though.

So yeah, in a way, customized HIIT is the best way to go about cardio imo.

Omega 3 6 and 9 fatty acids are essential in keeping our bodies healthy. Also, you need a little fat in order to keep your metabolism healthy.

I've had great results with this. What's the problem?

The problem is you could have gotten better results from pushing yourself harder.

Well maybe? Just frmo looking around there seems to be different school of thought on this.

I'm sorry for no reply. I had to go sleep this morning. So far I like all the replies, and they help. On the note of a certain reply, spicy? If it helps, I eat around 2 to 3 Jalapeno peppers a day.

And thanks fit, I'm starting what>>161875said, with some tips from the other. And the green tea shouldn't be hard, as I've got a stockpile of all kinds of tea.

I'm starting the regiment tomorrow morning. Thanks again!

I've pretty much been doing that advice on my own research. So far lost around 60lb in 4 months through vigorous willpower and pushing myself every day. I have no doubt some of it was muscle regardless of how i planned my diet, but its just something i need to deal with.

i'm wondering if diet pepsi would be okay? someone mentioned NO soda, then another said that diet was okay? what's the group opinion on that one?

Can't hurt to kick it for a while.

NO soda. After a while without it, you won't even want it anymore. It's not that hard to drink water and some green tea or something if you want flavor.

>>162994
This man is right. I haven't had a soda since...Maybe a month ago. I was at a friend's house and the choices were water or soda and they were right in front of me. I easily chose the water.

OP, how old are you, and do you go to gym? If so, what's your routine like?
>> Anonymous
>>163216
I'm 21, and I used to go to the gym. My routine included leg presses, and resistance training. Legs and arms one day, chest and stomach the next. I'd usually do a 20 minute cardio routine before going on to free weights and resistance. Sadly though, that gym shut down. The owners were in their 70's and wanted to retire. The other gyms are nearly 50 miles away.
