hi /fit/ people. i don't know how to fight, i feel very insecure about it. i would like to learn efficient self-defense.

im 5'11, 150 lbs, i live in a city where's theres a variety of martial arts, so ive got em all. and more close to my home there is tai chi and kyokushin(?) karate.

i just want to know i can send someone to hell whenever they get closed to me.

So takes some karate lessons.

Don't expect to be good at first. Don't go around picking fights.

Start with some boxing, it will get you up to speed quickly on some basic fighting skills.

Most martial arts are useless without tons of training. You'll probably want to delve into them later, but boxing is probably your best bet for a quick start in.

Boxing will teach you how to punch.

Get fit and learn how to box, and if you're the obnoxious type, you can sucker punch jerk offs and knock them out.

If you want to be deadly, take Hap Ki Do.

Become a black belt, and start attending "Killing Classes". It isn't called that, obviously, but they do teach you how in many different ways.

Kyokushin for the win. You'll be fighting bare handed against resisting opponents, so it's fairly realistic for fighting and self defense training. Also, most tournaments have no punching to the face so you won't look like hamburger.

Georges St. Pierre, Bas Rutten and Glaube Feitosa are all Kyokushinkai.
