Push ups are a great exercise. Vary your form and you'll work different muscles.
>HOWEVER What people have said is true. As you improve and find yourself doing 30, 40, 50 push ups, you're not going to see gains in muscle size as much. When your reps are that high, you're building endurance more than you're building bigger stronger muscles.
It's still better than nothing by a long shot.
