Q: I want to get strong muscles that don't really help me in anything else but lifting weights. I don't want be fast, just slow and strong. What can I do? A: That's simple, any 5x5 routine. Nothing says mediocre like only being able to lift weights a certain way. Focus on lifting heavy DEADS, SQUATZ, and BENCH. And that's it, anything else is useless to you. And don't worry if you get taken down by a much smaller wrestler type guy, after all, if you are standing still, with good support, and had enough time to ready yourself, you could outlift him by 20 lbs. in the squat.
