>>187714 oh, right, the original topic: I prefer gyms, but I'm in a densely populated area, so the major ones like Gold's or 24 hour are waaay too packed, and so far I haven't found a hole-in-the-wall one that doesn't have just a bunch of machines, isn't trainer/client-only, or cost a ton.
A home gym + nearby parks + improvisation is ok and has its benefits, but I can't seem to get as good of a workout in, and there's just nowhere near enough room to get all the equipment I'd want, and something about being in a [good] gym removes a lot of distractions.
