What is my Body fat percentage? Anonymous
Oldfag here...

I have a scale that measures body fat percentage, and it says that I have 17.8% body fat.

I think I have a little less than that, considering the amount of defenition I have.

Is my scale full of fail?

less than 10% usually means that you can see well defined abs and shit without tensing muscles, then again every body is different

it's really hard to tell how much bodyfat % someone has just by looking at them. go to your doc and ask for a body composition.

Yeah, your scale is almost certainly wrong.

Not because of how you look, but because scales measure bf% by sending a small electrical charge through you. This means hydration will affect it. Also, it is only hitting the lower half of your body unless you hold an electrode in your hand, which foot scales don't do. This further reduces accuracy...unless you want to know the body fat % of your legs.

They're not extremely accurate to start with, but don't think you have less by "looks". That line of thinking is full of fail.
Without being a professional athlete you're not going to have less than 10%... and the actual accurate real scales involve water immersion. Good job finding outside of Olympic training facilities.

granted, different hyooman bodies stores fat in different places, but I can more or less guarantee that hombre OP isn't ~18%. Along that path lies folly. OP is anywhere from 11-15%, I'd say 13%.

At my gym we have a reliable elctropulse BF calculator that gives me 8-10% depending on the days.
Your body type looks very similar to mine so I'd say there's no way you're over 15%. 8 to 12 seems like a good estimate.
