Well /fit/

After 2 months of diet and exercise I got my results
Was 210 lbs, 13.1% bodyfat. 6 foot 5.5 inches
Now 217 lbs, 13.8% bodyfat. 6 foot 6 inches

I gained ~2.4 lbs fat, ~4 lbs muscle

This seems bad to me. What should I do? Should I keep exercising? Why bother if I'm just going to keep getting fatter?

Jan -> Feb I did little/no cardio. Just weight training
Feb -> mid feb: I did little cardio. 10 mins of jogging a day some days, hour of walking other days. about 4-5 times a week
Mid Feb. -> now: I did some hard cardio. Jogging about an hour

Back then I was a little bit anorexic, eating 1200-1600 calories a day.

something to add
The whole time I was doing weight training.
About 90 mins every other weekday

Hey, how many calories do you think are burned from a good 60 minute jog? specs; 217, 6"6.

I'd expect about 400 from the workout, +200 from raised metabolism. How does that sound?

Great, you're logging your progress. Now it's time to get to work on dialing in your diet. What's your food diary looking like? Lots of starches and packaged stuff?

lots of cereal and milk. LOTS of it. Cheerios, mostly.

Other than that, lean cuisines and prepackaged dinners. Nothing bad like hungry mans. I wont eat prepackaged shit over 400 calories a serving. sometimes for lunch i have 2 pop tarts and I try to keep dinner before 7 pm and under 600 calories.

just to let you know, if you're looking to lose the gut and the moobs, those look like they're beyond your control with just exercise. ~13% body fat is really quite low, and if you still have those kinds of problems, it's almost certainly excess skin that will usually not retract on its own. you should go talk to a doctor about that.

i want to play with those flabby manbewbs SO MUCH

something else to add:

1 year ago I was at 320 and super fat. I lost all the weight, just not the skin. mostly in boobs, bicep, lower gut.

i dont see how a doctor could help.

a doctor would offer a professional opinion (i.e. not a 4chan one) about whether it's indeed something operable, the procedure would be called abdominoplasty for the stomach and i forgot the name of the chest procedure, and could refer you to a plastic surgeon.

as for extra skin. it looks just like that other post floating arund here about extra skin.

It seriously feels like an oversized wetsuit to me. I can grab my flab and pull it out 3-4 inches from my body. its sickkkkkk

seems like you could do with a bit more muscle mass

maybe its time to step up the weight training?

If you lose the weight and keep it off, then the skin will tighten a bit and leave some gray streaks.

I hear that takes years.

For that picture I was slouching. If I do some warm ups and stand fully erect I dont look too bad. Just the tit and lower gut area are still super loose.

What workouts should I do to fill these in? I think i might have a chance at filling in the chest with more muscle, but the abs looks like a lost cause.

how much is surgery?

If you're in your senior years, then yes it'll take years. The younger you are the less time it takes for the elasticity of your skin to do it's stuff. It helps to keep hydrated, and though it'll be a while for all your skin to shrink back, it'll happen eventually and you can pretend to be a tiger then, rawr.

18 years old in highschool? Will I look normal in time for college?

No one looks normal in college.

Your abs don't seem beyond repair, but pecs are going to be a hard task. You need to start eating more protein and work on your pecs, incorporate a lot of pressups in your day and when you're weighlifting do a lot of pec isolation excercises.

What kind of milk and what kind of cheerios? Plain cheerios with 1% or lower milk is good. Honey nut with whole milk....not so much.

Ans stay away from prepackaged stuff. Fresh natural food that you make yourself is so much better.

Other than that, your body fat percentage is actually pretty good. And gaining some fat with your muscle is inevitable.

honey nut scooters.
110 calories per cup full.
skim milk (fat free)

sometimes those and apple jacks. skim milk consists of a LOT of my diet.

Cardio burns fat. All muscle does is burn more calories when its tone, and yours are just BARELY tone if you've been working out for only a few months. Keep it up nigra.

To avoid excess skin, its best to work in weight training (replacing some of your fat bulk with muscle bulk), drinking lots of water (keeps the skin pliable), and keeping testosterone levels up with meat and supplements, as this can help retain firmness of muscle and skin.

so if i do 45-60 mins of running 5 days a week and keep my calories under 2400 (trying for under 2000, but no promises) I should see some results in a few weeks, right?
