sometimes when lifting or moving heavy objects, i'll start seeing little flicks of light floating around in my vision for a few seconds, and then stops. This doesn't happen very often, but every now and again it happens when lifting/moving something heavy.

The closest thing I can relate to the experience is the butterfly lights from the cowboy bebop movie. It really is quite pretty, but it kind of throws of your balance a little too.

has anyone had similar experiences or knows what this is?

Everyone who isn't a faggot gets them when they work out, if you don't get them you're not pushing yourself hard enough.

Basically this. You shouldn't push yourself that hard though. Every time you deprive you brain of oxygen you damage it. That's why body builders and weight lifters are so fucking stupid.
