hey /fit/
I'm a fatty fatty 2x4 cant even fit through the door, and I've started working out and have been doing the ellipticle for 1/2 an hour on 16 intensity for 2 miles. would that really count as much of a workout? or should I just go for the entire hour/4 miles?

Do your best.

It's corny but true.

If you can do the whole hour, do it.

2 miles in 30 minutes = 4 mph. Unless your some sorta dwarf, you can burn much more calories on a treadmill running 6-8 mph if you can handle it. Hell, 4mph is walking for me.

well, most of my teenage life was spent sitting on my ass on the interwebs, so my legs aren't very used to much walking or that much intensity. if my legs weren't so shitty then I would be doing 6+mph

don't say 'my legs'

They're part of you.

You're the shit.

Sorry to break it to you but it's not your legs' fault.

I felt the same way when I started, my legs were shit, however, after a week I could do what I did the week before without feeling any pain, and I suspect next week will be the exact same way, I'll be able to jog at a steady rate without fail, and beyond that I'll be able to run without fail after a while.

tl;dr, exercise builds muscle, but it takes dedication and time.
