So /fit/, I come from an overweight family. I was pretty skinny, but now I've gained weight since starting college. A few weeks ago, I was fed up with it. I didn't want Type II Diabetes like my Dad, or to be obese like my mom and sister. I haven't done sports since middle school, and I didn't want to end up in the same situation as the rest of my family.

So I started walking about four weeks ago. At first I could only do a mile or so a day, then I started trying to do two. Then I started running. About a week ago I started to walk three miles a day, and then a few days later, I started running it. I've reduced my time it takes to go those three miles by nearly half an hour, and tomorrow, I'm going to try four miles.

FUCK YEAH!

Good for you! Also, remember that a lot of the weight of the Freshman 15 comes from alcohol and the food you eat after it, so take it easy on nights out

Yeah, I've really started to watch what I've been eating lately. There's a big party tomorrow night, but I've bowed out of drinking by being the designated driver, and I'll substitute with water.
