Hey /fit/, I want to buy a 40 lb. weighted vest. Anyone have any opinions on any particular brand? Or anything else I should be aware of?
how does it mess up your knees? people can gain like 10-20 pounds in a couple weeks so would they fuck up there knees too? someone care to explain?
>>391492>>391494What if I wanted to use it for basic stuff like pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, jumping rope, etc?
>>391499If people gain weight it's gradual not just a huge leap in 20 pounds. Your knees aren't prepared to handle it. Second 20 pounds of weights is everywhere, not a giant lump on your chest. The military has to do something similar with there backpacks. They have some fucked knees brah.
>>391500pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups are fine not sure about jumping
X-Vest IMOHave had one for 2 years and love itbe prepared to shell out some $$$ though
>>391508That's fine, I've saved up some good money. Yours hasn't ripped or broken in any way after two years?
use that shit for jump squats. i use dumbells and that shit is a drag, id love one of those.
Are weight vests worth it? I'm trying to gain muscle and lose fat, so I can assume a yes? But what if ur body already has adjusted to a 40lb vest already? Dont tell me theres like 100lb vest out there.
>>391533I've seen 50lb vests. Wear two of those and you've got 100.:3
=O
>>391533I have also seen people wearing 20lb. vests over 40 lb. ones. I would assume there is no upper weight limit to how much you can wear in vests, just a limit on space available.
No not in 2 years of consistent use. I have the 84lb. firefighter model
>>391551Damn, what do you do with 84 lbs on you?
get stronger and in better shape
