Is sushi any good for you in keeping fit?
>> Anonymous
raw fish + rice should be good for you. Just make sure you're eating freshly made stuff, instead of the shit you can buy in the store.
>> Anonymous
It has alot of protein, so technically, but then theres always the chance of parasites, so idk

Rice is good for you? I thought it was all starch.

Be careful for mercury. Just google the health risks of mercury and other metals found in fish. Check the recent news, too. The US (new york in particular, i think) had a problem recently with high mercury levels.

rather stay away from omnivorous fish, tuna and swordfish accumulate lots of mercury. others should be ok i think

I think sushi is pretty damn good for gaining muscle mass, but maybe I'm wrong. I built a pretty muscular chest just by doing a fuck load of push ups, and eating fresh sushi all the time. I see a lot of body builders at the sushi restaurant I go to, so I suppose its not coincidence.

Eat the ones without fish if you are worried about mercury. Salmon, crab, shrimp, octopus, squid and stuff like that seems pretty safe.

christ you're an idiot. gtfo.

Salmon is almost an apex predator. Lower on the food chain = less mercury. Generally, this means anything without a spine.

No. They add a 1:1 ratio of sugar in the vinegar to make sushi rice taste sweet. The damn soy sauce they give you to dip your sushi in has sugar in it. If you're eating stuff like the rolled egg, teriyaki chicken and grilled eel, that's got sugar in it too.

And when I say sugar, I mean FUCKING IMMENSE amounts of sugar. I'm surprised nobody has gotten diabetes yet from sushi...oh wait, wasn't it 10% of Japan estimated to be diabetic as of last count?

so salmon != fish ?

you mercury fags are fucking faggots.
>> Anonymous
>>69685
eating sugar doesn't give you diabetes, genius
>> Deltaforse
i wonder why 63% of weaboo's deaths are caused by parasites

The tea they drink works as a diuretic (sp?). Drains the system.

At least that's why they don't have insanely high blood pressure from putting soy sauce in everything.

Salmon are highly susceptible to parasites.

lolin

Also google
http://www.bento.com/parasite.html

Yeah of all the sushi being eaten I dont think theres much to worry about, especially because I know you fags aren't making it yourself and are buying commercial

also if buying commercial and you get a small parasite infection enjoy your lawsuit settlement money

I fucking love sushi. I don't care if it's bad for me or I'm going to die, but I will make them serve sushi at my goddamn funeral.
