/fit/, I'm a 6 foot 145 pound twig who wants to join the USMC in the near future.
WHEN I WAS
in Highschool, I ran the fastest mile out of the other 30 or so kids in my P.E. class. I am still as fast as I was then, but my stamina has left me.
How can I put on some muscle and improve my energy/stamina reserves?

you could always suicide it. Make the bare minimum requirments to get into training camp then become a drill instructors bitch for a couple months. You'll get stamina like a motherfucker, but will probably feel queezy.
