i've been eating about a carton worth of raw eggs per week, on top of whole eggs in omlettes. i never eat just the white, and i actually attribute my level of fitness to eating eggs whole and/or raw.
one in 30,000 eggs has salmonella, and even then it might not be strong enough to overcome your body.
i have not gotten sick in over a year, i dont catch the yearly flu, i never get the sniffles, and i dont get the runs even. i eat raw eggs all the time.
eggs have HDL cholestrol, the kind that helps your blood flow and heart and reduces LDL, bad cholesterol.
the study that was done to determine that whole eggs where bad for your health, was done by a cereal board in the 80s, when they didn't understand the two different kind of cholesterol and that fats were good for the body.
this is about the third time that someone has told me that im going "to die" yet doesn't really back it up.
another note, if my activity level is high (mine is super high, heavy weightlifting, + HIIT) my chances of having bad cholesterol are almost nil. and ingesting it actually helps my body synthesize testosterone. this is true with saturated fats as well. as long as i am getting equal ratios of all fats (not trans) i will be quite healthy.
my daily fat intake sometimes exceeds 200g, yet i am relatively lean, although i also do 250g protein and maybe 300g carbs
