Hey /fit/, I'm looking to have a fast sprint with good agility and a strong kick for soccer/football.

I get the feeling that HIIT and plyometrics are the way to go. Am I doing it wrong?

Sprint and plyometrics are like the icing on the cake to your training. You need to develop absolute strength through the heavy lifts in combination with power training though the O-lifts. Find Starting Strength by Mark Rippletoe on rapidshit for more details
