1: go to the gym and gym 5 days a week.
2: each day train only one part of the body ( day 1 legs, day 2 arms, day 3 stomach and so on...
3: after u gaind a well trained body stop eat Carb (bread and other carb stuff)
4: train more

when u do #3 the fat will disappear but the muscles will still be there and keep growing and you will get a Bale-Body

i do it myself and its working.
ps. it will be hard to start training but after 4-5 times on the gym and u feel stronger it becomes an addiction ds.

I'd love a Patrick Bateman body. My friend said to fully achieve it you'd have to go to the gym like 4/5 days a week, for 3/4 hours each time solid, for a year to get it.

I don't think I could do it D:

you friend is fucking stupid, slap him in the face for me
>> Anonymous
>>150680

Naw. Not even that. Just do a fairly decent 5x5 program, then when you get to a good size, metcon and cut.

Might not look like Bale, its mostly his genetics that give that shape.
>> Anonymous
>>150689

metcon?
>> Anonymous
Don't take this look to heart. Bale had to go stupid on fitness to achieve this body for the movie. He stated in a couple of interviews how he hated having to work out all the time to fit the role and would rather be able to hit the pub every once in a while. Basically he was on an incredibly strict diet, working out 6 days a week, for 4 hours a day, or something that insane.

Oh god, not that 5x5 bullshit again...

Metabolic conditioning. Basically like lifting and cardio combined and done at very high continunous intesnity. It would allow you to keep the majority of your mass, and improve your endurance... sometimes strength to.

You'd end up with a very well built athletic physique, capable of lifting above average amounts yet still quick, nimble and long lasting in endurance terms.

Bale's physique is the result of lifting and cardio, and a hella tight diet. He would have bulked like crazy (maybe steroids) then cut right down to a very low bf%...

He's definitely sub 8% right there, which isn't easy to maintain if you like to actually eat.

>>150707
can anon provide a pdf or ebook of metabolic conditioning?

Quit your current job and find a gig that will pay you loads of money to do nothing but exercise and diet and work on your appearance all day every day for months at a time. Easy as that.

Go to Crossfit... a lot of the WODs are metcon orientated. Basically anything done at a high intensity for a fairly long period of time (20 mins) is metcon.

97% of the population will burn out and fail on a program like this without 1-2 years in the gym MINIMUM. Stop reading Flex.

And he had to do that because he was on a time-table for a movie role. The rest of us can take a year or two and get the same results without the same kind of agony. It's important to realize that most movie stars aren't that built; they're just very, very lean because that gives the ILLUSION of being very built. I've read the work of one trainer who talked about getting Stars in shape and that was his method: put on just enough muscle to look convincing and drop their body fat through the floor; fast. The problem is doing it like that is VERY unhealthy and likely not sustainable. I would bet a fair amount of money Christian Bale lost the "Bat body." Shortly after shooting wrapped and had to crash-diet/workout for the sequel.

Slow & Steady, though not fun, is what wins the race here. The problem is nobody has the fucking patience. They want results NOW. So they do stupid shit like steroids and hard-core advanced level programs long before they're ready for them.

You want to look like Bale, BE PATIENT. Start with 2-3 days a week, do daily cardio, and if you need to lose the fat be prepared for a carb-restricted diet. You're probably looking at at least a year; and that assumes you have fanatical discipline; which you probably don't.
Two years is more realistic, and Three is probable.

You have to want it bad enough to not only work harder but work smarter. If you want to do it right hire yourself a personal trainer. Your success ratio sky rockets when you have an expert helping you, assuming you do everything he says.

seconded, this guy is right.

its not about living in the gym, its about being fucking smart.

a better body does not equal more time working out. i spend 3 hours a week in the gym. but im bustin gmy ass doing heavy compounds etc money maker exercises when im in there.

i dont do any foofy shit or easy shit that i see so many people doing.

i watch what i eat and i make all my own meals.

a zero carb diet does not allow any muscle growth

bale's commitment to thsi stuff raises an interesting point for alot of actors. Most hollywood actors maintain good body types that often dont fit the roles theyre playing. i just watched BenX yesterday and the main character is supposed to be an mmo junkie w/autism but the actor had a fairly lean but muscular build, just kills some of the believability.

My understanding is that a lot of that comes from repetitious action.

There was a special kid in my high school that would only walk on his toes. He was 6'7 and could chase you the fuck down in a retarded blur of motion.

Bale is one of the few major actors I respect, and I like the way he commits himself to a role.

In American Psycho Bateman spends a lot of time talking about his diet etc

Normal people use less force when they get pain, because their body naturally doesn't want to hurt it's self.

Retards don't get that or some shit.

Much like how you can lift MUCH more when high on Opiates since they block pain signals.

lol true. i use this sometimes when im lifting.

on a really hard set just turn your brain off.

Gah. I work social services, I've been assaulted at least twice by tards. The first time it plowed past me, tore a doorknob off the door, and crashed through a picket fence, Wile E. Coyote style.

The second involved it pulling out a metal ruler and going conan on me. The missing strips of flesh on my right hand are hard to explain.
