Hi guys, just a simple question and I'm on my way to page 10.

How do I prevent stretch marks? Do I eat certain kinds of foods? I googled it, little results came up.

Reason I ask is cause earlier I lost about 30lbs, and of course, stretch marks came across. Well, with some creams and stuff, most of them are gone, but I still want to lose another 20lbs and I'm afraid it'll get horrible to a point where I won't want to take my shirt off or something.

So, anybody got tips?

Pic unrelated.

For all of the newfags.
Sponge is a lame tripfag troll.
Just ignore him.

sage-ing because ya'll niggers are getting troll'd

And its tough to prevent stretch marks, other than slowing down the rate of change in size. I've heard that vitamin E or lotion with vitamin E can reduce them a bit.

I'M NOT TROLLING RIGHT NOW I'M ACTUALLY BEING SERIOUS WHY DO STRETCH MARKS COME IF YOU LOSE WEIGHT IT MAKES NO SENSE WHAT THE HELL

Who cares whether it makes sense? It really does happen whether you understand it or not.

So should I just try not to lose weight fast? what would be a resonable amount? Like, less than a 1lb a week?

1 to 2 pounds a week.

drink lots of water and apply cocoa butter.

Honestly, there isn't a "right" amount of weight to lose per week. Everybody's body reacts differently when it comes to stretch marks, so what works for other people won't necessarily work for you. You could try slowing your weight loss down, but it may turn out that whether you lose 1 pound a month or 10, you still get them.

Some people hardly get them at all, lucky bastards.

He's right, you don't get stretch marks from losing weight, you get them from GAINING weight. your skin doesn't stretch when LESS stress is put on it.

I've lost a similar amount of weight over the last year, and I hate to tell you this but those stretch marks were always there, the way that your skin hangs now without the fat under it just makes em more obvious

If I already have them will this help?

yes

What are stretch marks? I think I got some on my shoulders whenever I do weight training. Like benching, pull ups, etc. Right on the top of the shoulder it's all red and shit, almost immediately after the work out. Is that just blood or something?

They are stupid niggers.

"Losing or gaining weight quickly can cause stretch marks. I don't know how old you are or how pliable your skin is, but when you gain weight and it stretches out your skin, the damage could already have been done. When you lose that weight the skin doesn't always shrink accordingly."
