I have really fat hands. it's not just hands actually, I have regional fat. My legs are fat, my arm are fat etc. But I almost have a no belly and I don't look obese. Still, I hate my hands so fucking much. Is there a way to make my hands slimmer? Or do I have to lose weight in general?

I'm 6'2 and 200 lbs.

can you confirm that they work? I think they just make your hand stronger but not really make them slimmer.

YOUR BODY IS A LAKE OF FAT

your hand fat will be reduced with the rest of the fat on your body.

Start running.

i hate the lake of fat thing SO MUCH, it gives an entirely wrong impression

OP, hands usually don't store much fat, and i can't really see much on yours. you just seem to have short fingers, which sucks but there's not much you can do. for the legs and arms, add a little muscle first (if you haven't) and then try dropping a couple pounds after that. the muscle helps them look less flabby even if you still have the same amount of fat on them.

Just saying... maybe the strength aspect of ugly hands is more fulfilling than being a hand model... at least for me it would be. I mean it's not like you have Ent-man's hands.

lake of fat is correct. why do you hate it?

it implies that people gain weight and lose weight in all areas equally, like taking water from a lake. it's true that you can't control where the fat drops from, but it certainly isn't equal.

+1 except for the lake of fat thing... I think it's a decent but flawed analogy.

Also if you use the hand grips and increase your forearm muscle mass, your skin around that area will become taut. Combine that with larger arms and the skin will draw up from the hands a bit. Granted skin usually stretches away from your core but there will still be a minute effect on your hands, even if it is just your perception of them.

I'm not bothering to refresh, but what I said about stretching from the core is wrong, skin will stretch locally after drawing upon the looser skin surrounding it as far as possible. Just wanted to get this in and admit I was wrong. ;)

*sigh* this is the second "spot reduction request" thread I've seen today

spot reduction is a myth

you can't lose weight from one targeted area any other way than to lose weight overall

Yeah, and body fat is also not inhabited by frogs and is not included in the water cycle. There's a point beyond which trying to be more accurate is silly, and you have reached that point. The analogy just says that you can't choose where to lose fat any more than you can choose to drain only one end of a lake. And it's accurate.

you tell that idiot! bf% = lake!

Meh, it can't be that bad. I'd certainly prefer it to my skinny hands. You can see all the tendons and veins. Fuck

If you can see your tendons/veins, then you're okay. I wouldn't worry until your hands start looking like a little kid's.

you can see the veins but my fingers are still kinda fat. So I guess I'll just have to burn everything. That might work.

But the thing is, people keep telling me to run my ass off. Is this really the right way to burn fat?
