>> Anonymous

i dunno i usually bro up when these things happen

Stop whining like a little bitch and let it heal.

my left index finger is STILL recovering after 3 weeks when I smashed it with a 45 pound plate. Give it time.

lightly powerdrill a hole in the top of your nail.
jobs right mate.

you heat up a paper clip until its red. then holding the cool side with a pair of pliers you push the red side right where the blood is pooled. once you feel relief of pressure, pull the paper clip out. then drain blood and cover with a bandage. have fun :)

Ice it and see if you can get one of those metal things with padding (finger guard things) so you don't accidentally put pressure on it when grabbing something.

I dropped 2 45s on my thumb in March. Now you get to see the black part advance up your fingernail for the next 4 months (unless you're unlucky and the whole thing falls off). Try to set a goal to get done by then, like 600 lb squats.

Are you fucking serious? A finger brace for something like that? LOL!

surprisingly enough, THIS is what you should do if the pressure is severe (painful pressure) after 12 hours post injury (i ASSUME you have been icing?) you can DIY, but its recommended to get a Dr or AT to do it.

if you dont, loss of circulation+compression in extremity can lead to permanent tissue/nerve damage.

let me cast my world of warcraft heal!

fucking let it heal you bitch

Only if you want to keep your fingernail. And no, it's not a brace, as it provides no support, only padding. It's hard to not accidentally use the finger once the pain stops, but every time you use it builds up pressure and risks you losing the whole nail. The padded cover prevents you from using it.

careful drilling a hole in the nail!! Yes, it will fix the pressure and feel better, but you may end up with an infection. I would go to a doctor if the pain is really bad and let them figure it out.

its common to never open the body to infection, but this is one time when you should. like i said, see a professional

like i said

if you want to mitigate infection issues

blood blister. i got one when i was younger when something heavy dropped on my finger. i remember it coming off like a scab once it was ready to. dont pop/peel it until its about to come off
>> Anonymous
no shit, heat up an end of a paper clip till its pretty fecking hot and push through the nail. the blood will drain, be careful not to push too hard.

the doctor actually did this too me.
>> anonymous
ice it

somtimes the cuticle can be so damaged that the nail will fall off. If it starts to turn funky, soak that shit in warm water till it falls off.

Same thing happened to my big toe nail, it was like that for like 8 months and one day it just kinda fell off, I guess a new one had been growing underneath it the whole time.
