I've been running consistently and exercising for two months now. I do HIIT (jog/run variant) for 1-2 miles every other day and crunches/pushups/planks every other day. I eat 5 meals a day and have protein after I work out, yet I haven't seen any noticeable results. I'm 5'8 125 lbs, with a little bit of definition but not much. Am I doing it wrong, or haven't I waited long enough?

uhh, okay. Eat moar, cut down on the running. It's almost impossible to gain muscle and cut body fat at the same time (or at least, for the majority of people). Do more strength training, you can do all the pushups in the world and not gain any muscle. Lift weights. Eat moar, make sure you're getting enough protein. Protein powder helps like nobody's business. It doesn't sound like your split is conducive to gaining muscle, and saying 'noticeable results' could mean any number of things (i'm assuming you wanna get buff bronze and bitchin).

i'd say it's like this: in the eye of allah the pig's life/sacrifice is worth more than the haji killing a bunch of people, because the lord's angels make it so. or some bullshit like that, maybe something like how sacrificing a pig (looks like it's throat was slit) makes everything that you suicide bomb okay.

WHOA yeah just read this. bump that shit up. 5 meals a day doesn't mean shit if you're doing HIIT and undereating. enjoy being anorexic

Wow, thanks. I've probably been drinking more protein than I have been eating. Trying to up calories slowly. Thanks though, i'll just go for general bulking/cutting with a bit of cardio to maintain endurance.

don't worry about that. Your body will want that food. You'll see immediate gains in strength if you're lifting and you've been starving your body like that. aim for 3000-3500 calories a day when you're bulking (i say that because you're only 125, i typically go with 5k a day). Now, if you don't want to lift weights check out the crossfit program, you can be pretty damn ghetto and still get results with that, although it's more body weight kind of stuff. But you still want to eat WAYWAYWAY more than you are now.5 meals is good though, just eat more with every meal.

One thing that everyone for some reason thinks is that in order to lose weight you want to eat less. nothing could be further from the truth, as eating less slows down your metabolism and you end up keeping more of your food within your body rather than just processing what you need and shitting all the rest out. just fyi
