I want to hear more sucess stories! Anonymous
I keep seeing all these "I'm fat/scrawny, help!" threads.

That's discouraging. I want more success stories.

The people who have come here fat/scrawny and actually succeeded in trimming down/bulking up. Those are who I want to hear more about.

That doesn't seem quite right. Either you are a person who use to be anorexic ( didn't look good) or you hit puberty four years ago.

lowered my 30:00 5k time to 23:21 in the past year, plus, i'm significantly more "toned"

Man, you make me feel bad. I ALSO started at the start of April, 6'1" at 272 lbs, and am now 257 lbs.

Then again, I missed one week of exercise where I only lost 1 pound due to a gross spiderbite infection and another week i only lost 2 pounds cause of diet and overall my diet could be slightly better.
So maybe I shouldn't feel bad lol.

Started at 224lbs. Lost 16lbs in the last 10 weeks, wanna lose another 10. Will post a "progression" image when I hit my goal (est. 8 more weeks)
>> Anonymous
No pics (not a camwhore) but I've started running.

Started @ 6 mi/week, now I'm up to 13 mi/week. Pants are fitting better too.

well done, Anonymous, but I wanna know how the guy in OP's pic lost almost a pound a day. Isn't that dangerous?

havent weighted myself, but ive been going to the gym for a bout 2.5months, do about an hour cardio then some weights when i get home for a little while.

Ive gone down 2 jean sizes and from XXL shirts to XL and L.

Don't know exactly how much ive lost, but its all good.

>>120164

That's the thing. I CAN see it. Belt fits a ton looser ('bout to have to get a new one while I used to be nearly maxing out my current one) and my thighs are apparently getting smaller, as I'm fitting into pants I used to be able to get up to my knees.

Come to think of it, I'm probably losing in my lower body almost exclusively atm. Guess I can't complain, but thinner legs are hardly good motivation when I've got teh love handles to look at ;)

Lost about 18 lb in 3 months. Wasn't fat before, just needed to lose a bit. I have to wear a belt now otherwise my jeans fall down around my waist.

Was surprisingly easy...move more, eat less.

As of a year ago today I weighed in at ~200 pounds, 5'4''. (Was 16 years old) I played way too many video games and ate pure shit (lol ice cream, etc. etc.) After a year of cardio, weight lifting, and an improved diet I now weight 140 pounds, am 5'8'' tall, and have 5% bodyfat versus my old 20%.

Pretty sure 5% is unhealthily low, but congratz.

I joined an MMA club and in a few months I lost like 25 pounds and gained alot of muscle mass... plus the you know.. learning MMA, gaining pain resistance etc...

Then I had to quit because of work and now I'm back to square one. Life is awesome \o/

real life is like that - get used to it. You're certainly not alone in your experience on this level.

Only spoiled rich brats who don't have to work and decide not to have families or love their families can afford the time to look like an adonis for years and years.... and/or those who are outrageously genetically gifted.

Either way it's not a reality for the other 98% of us... just try to stay as healthy as possible and don't be discouraged by fake advertising.

>>120262
Yeah, if you lower it any more beyond that, you start taking away fat from your joints, and they'll turn into dust whenever you do anything.
>> Anonymous
>>121116

Excuse. If you really care about something, you'll make time for it. Adapt to carry out your goals.
>> Anonymous
>>121116
It only takes 2 hours on sunday for cooking and then maybe seven hours of training during the week. That's nine hours. There are 168 hours in a week. Taking 9 of those 168 (5% of your time) is not that big of a deal.

Lost 70kg.
From 145 to 75, height 195.
Gained ~20kg of muscle I'm now at 96kg.

Took me 2.4 years for everything.

spoken EXACTLY like someone who has never carried two jobs, 4 kids, trying to take "good" care of the house and cars, etc... and hoping to have friends and a life... and manage to sleep and eat healthy and exercise as much as possible in there somewhere.

I'm not complaining really - mind you - I actually love my life. I just realized many years ago that I would have to give up my dream of being an MMA super-star and a super-body Adonis if I wanted everything else that I wanted.

You make your choices - but there is definitely no time for all of those things together. As it is I get 4-5 hours of sleep/night on average.

Same fag here.

As for exercises,
Benchpress > 40kg to 165kg
Squat > 65 to 210
Deadlift > 80 to 235
Military press > 20kg to 115kg

That's funny, considering most of last year I worked 50 hours a week to pay for my car and college, while getting good grades with 14 credit hours and still finding time to spend with friends. You DO NOT need to spend tons of time in the gym to be in good shape. Anything over an hour of weight lifting a day is a waste. Finding 4 hours of free time in seven days isn't impossible.

Also, eating healthy doesn't take more time than eating like shit.
