So I sat down with a takeout chicken salad with Rhode island dressing. What I was wondering, is it all for nothing if you have the salad dressing on? or is it still a bit more healthy than you're average meal?

Depends on how much dressing you've got on it, but in any case your at least eating a healthy blend of vegetables and possibly fruits and nuts which is better then eating a double quarter pounder at McDonalds.

Same thing goes for people too lazy to change their dietary habits but are consistently going to the gym, they are still better off then they were before.

You don't have to drastically change your routine over night, that is likely to shorten your commitment because the adjustment might be too hard.

Some people can do it, but if you rather ease into your diet and exercise routine, by all means do so, just don't expect lightning fast results.

Every week tweak your diet a bit more, and push a bit harder at the gym, and most importantly keep motivated.

Don't get discouraged if by the end of a month or two you don't see much difference in yourself, it is a long term investment and it is worth every minute you put into it.
