/fit/, when my girlfriend and I go out to a club or bar or whatever, I drink beer and she drinks vodka raspberrys. Now, we always have this debate about which is the most healthy of the two obviously bad for your health drinks.I say that because of the sugar + vodka in a vodka raspberry, hers is worse. She says that beer is in general worse without much of an explanation but basically because of the "beer belly" myth.WHAT DO YOU THINK /FIT/?P.S. A vodka raspberry is a shot of vodka in a glass with ice and raspberry softdrink. Standard bourban, scotch, rum + coke glass.
beer is worse for you shitbreak
>>375186Not really.OP just look up some arguments on wikipedia. can't be that hard, cause warm beer considered to help at certain illnesses.
Vodka is healthier than beer, but idk about the raspberry.
Either way, it all gets broken down and stored.I pull a steady drip of light booze.
1 look up nutrition information on the beer/vodka drink in question2 count up Calories of the carbs, sugars, protein ect in the drinks3 once you know your answer to be right bet your girlfried somthing that you are right4 ???5 PROFIT!!!
>>375483Not entirely true, as most labels aint forced to label the calorie count coming from alcohol (its fairly high, cant remember the exact number tho).My guess is the vodka rasperry, ofcourse depending on the mixture
>>375491wtflook up the calorie count faggot.l2google
>>375483count the calories opim betting the vodka drink though
There's only one way to solve this issue. You and your girlfriend must do MOAR SQUATZ
I'd say beer, since it has so many carbs.
>>375165Vodka = >40% alcoholDozens of grams of sugarBeer = <7% alcohol0 grams of sugarBeer belly comes from a huge liver because of the alcohol. Vodka will give you a beer belly faster because it has loads more alcohol. The vodka shit is worse for you, and your girlfriend is a moron. Tell her Trevor from 4chan told her so, if she asks.
>your girlfriend is a moron>girlfriend is a moron>girl is a moron>moron
>>375629But you don't drink equal amounts of vodka/ beer...... and the total amount of liquor in both drinks is most likely very comparable. Depending on if you drink real beer or water down shit and depending on how the bartender makers her drinks. In all honesty there probably isn't a major difference healthwise. The beer is going to have more carbs the vodka drink will have more sugar. They both probably have similar caloric and alcohol content. The major factor is what this "raspberry softdrink" actually is. Pay attention next time the bartender is making it and look up the brandname if you really care.>Beer belly comes from a huge liver because of the alcohol. You're an idiot. A beer belly comes from being fat because beer has a lot of calories. Your liver weighs about 2 lbs. Even if it tripled in size(which would probably kill you) it would account for an extra 4 lbs of weight. Which is a negligable part of a beer belly. The reason people think beer "goes to the belly" is because people who get fat off of beer tend to be men...because women drink vodka raspberries. And men are far more likely to carry excess weight around the midsection. Its a classic case of causation versus correlation. You get a beer belly from being a fat man who is genetically predisposed to carrying weight in the belly. Not from drinking too much beer. Drinking beer will make you fat but it won't change where the fat is stored.
>>375665also people who drink a lot of beer tend to eat like shit, so that's a good reason why a lot of fat people who drink tend to have beer bellies.
Vodka, as well as all other clear alcohols are the healthiest to drink.
>>375679Sure. But she isn't just drinking vodka. She is also drinking a sweet sugary soda...which as everyone knows is bad for you.
>>375684no it's not.moderation motherfucker. One or two cans a day isn't gonna blow you up.
>>375689And neither will one beer...2 bottles of coke is 500 calories. 2 cans is about 300. 500 calories is the difference between healthy weightloss and no weightloss. But sure, go ahead and continue to rationalize your shitty dietary choices.I don't care if you're fat.Assuming that theres about 4 oz of soda in her drink. and that it has the average of about 50-60 calories(A 12 oz can of sugary fruit soda tends to have 150-180 calories). Plus the 70 calories from a shot of vodka. Makes her drink about 120-130 calories. That's about the amount of calories in an average American beer.but like I said. Without knowing exactly what kind of soda they use(Is it close to sunkist? Or make like seltzer water?) and what kind of beer you drink its too close to call.
