I used to be a skinnyfag. 5'8" and 135 lbs. So I started eating properly and going to the gym. Ended up at 150 lbs, pretty well built.

I haven't worked out in a few months, and I haven't been eating as much. I'm already back down to 145. Help me stop this!

I want to get my act together. I'm already going to the gym, eating better. But this time I want to get even better results.

In the past I've never used any supplements. I've been doing a little research and I get the impression that using these in combination will significantly boost my gains:

Whey, Creatine, Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine. Obviously whey is just an easy way to get a lot of high-quality protein. I have no idea about Creatine and how it is used with Whey. I've read that the last three have to be taken in specific proportion:

"L-Leucine should be dosed at two parts L-Leucine for every two parts L-Valine and for every one part of L-Isoleucine"

Is there a supplement that delivers those three in that proportion?

TL;DR: What's creatine? How should I use it? What's Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine? How do I use those? Where can I get these? Is there anything else I should use as well?

creatine helps with pumping out reps and with water retention for bulking. Don't bother with the others, just eat right and don't be surprised to lose some weight if you slack off.

Biochem 101:
Creatine is a natural substance in the body. It is in balance with it's counteractor phosphocreatine. The latter makes sure there's enough energy present in the muscle/nerve cells for consumption. Creatine uses energy. Both of these act as a buffer so the energy in the body is in balance.

Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine are amino-acids (compounds of proteins) and therefore precursors of a lot of other products like fatty-acids and other carbon-based molecules. Most amino-acids are essential for living.

Sadly, I have no advice on anything else.

Get whey and creatine.

Leucine and the likes are already provided in the whey. If you really want to supplement these further, get a BCAA supp. I don't think that's necessary though.

Thanks! So the amino acids are found in protein rich foods - the kind of stuff I'm already eating. Rock. I looked up some BCAA supplements and they seem to be pretty expensive.

Thanks for the creatine info. But, How does water retention help?

at your height you should put on 40-50lbs. up it to a gallon and keep your normal food intake as it is. and do more squats

I'm more worried about my carb intake right now. I take about 180g of protein every day. So drinking more milk - while giving me some carbs - might be overkill.

look for amino vital, it is a powder you throw in your water and it tastes like gatorade and has all the amino acids you need plus more, and its relatively cheap

40-50 lbs of muscle in 2 months?no fucking wai,not without juicin'

Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine are branched chain amino acids(BCAA) which are metabolized in the muscle rather than the liver. they are for staying in an anabolic state.

ps. you can buy BCAA and not have to worry about buying them separately and mix together properly. price difference is negligible if any at all.

It's a normal sized build for 5'8". Statham is like 150-160 at 5'8"

Unless you have HUGE thighs, 150-165 looks fine for 5'8".
