I brought it up because he asked a question. How he lifts, even if it's just 10kg, will change how his muscules grow. If he wants them to shrink, he shouldn't be lifting in a way that will cause them to get bigger, right?
OP, you are still paying attention to this thread, you can do some research online. For major muscle groups, I've usually gone for 3-5 reps at 90% max weight for 3 sets in order to induce the musclar part. If you want bigger muscles, you normally aim for 8-12. And if you just want endurance, 15-18. Hope this helps.
