What got you to start being healthy? Anonymous
So, as i sit checking myspace tonight I come across this picture of myself and do a double take. I have fuckign let myself go, now I've always been a big guy but that was acceptable on some level to me when I was 6'3" 235 pounds and was active working in foundry and actually had a decent amount of muscle mass. No thanks to a desk job, a obscenely sedentary life style, too much smoking and drinking, and eating garbage likes it's going out of style I have become this. I can't sleep at the moment just thinking about how far I have let myself go. I just got off the scale and I'm rocking a wonderfully obese 304 pounds. I need to get after myself before I do any more damage, I'm cutting pop cold turkey and I think I need to take my dog for a long walk as run in this state of tune might just make me die. Any game plan tips for this fat fuck?

Eat healthy, walk lots and lift weights. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust me on this one.

Heavy cardio is your ticket to getting fit, leash up your dog and wear him/her ragged lol. I'm going to assume that you're no stranger to hard work(wtf do foundries still exist?), I'm going to assume that you'll have no problems sticking to a decent exercise routine. The biggest roadblock for you will probably be adjusting your eating lifestyle. I would suggest giving up everything(soda, fast food, anything fried in general) except for beer, and only drink the stuff as a reward well earned for sticking to your regimen and diet. The beer will taste that much sweeter for it. At any rate, think long and hard about your motivation for this change, if you don't think it'll last for more than a month you might as well not start at all.

Thanks and on the plus side my damn dog will appreciate as much if not more then me, as she is hyper hyper 1 year old collie. I do realize it all has to do with sticking to a routine, and forcing myself to make time for that routine. As for foundries yeah they still exist, we haven't shipped every manufacturing job of to china just yet. I some way I really miss that place sweltering heats and 8-12 hour work days filled with physical labor tend to have positive effect on ones body at least that is while one is still young. Well fuck it I'm off to bed in a few and tomorrow is a new day.
