hi /fit/,

so, 3 weeks ago my body fat percentage was at 32%. i'm 5'9 and i weighed 185 pounds. today i was tested again and i am now at 29.5%, 180 pounds. i'm just trying to figure out how many pounds of fat i've lost in the past 3 weeks vs. muscle gained and how many more pounds of fat i have to go. is there a way to calculate this? i've tried different tricks on the calculator but none of them make sense.

i also want to know what percentage i should be at? 21, female. i looked on different websites and some said between 20-25% and others said between 15-20%.

you just multiply the bodyfat percentage with your weight. that equals the fat in your body. subtract that number with your weight again and that leaves the rest, muscle/bone, etc.

186lbs x 0.32 = 58.2 fat
186lbs - 58.2 = 126.8 bone/muscle

do that for your second weight and BF% and you'll see how your body changed.

since i'm curious myself i'll do it for you:

180lbs x 0.295 = 53.1 fat
180lbs - 53.1 = 126.9 bone/muscle

so according to this in the 3 weeks you've lost 5.1lbs of fat and gained 0.1lbs of muscle.

now given 5.1 + 0.1 = 5.2 theres a missing 0.4lbs unaccounted for, you have to remember that you're using an omiron body fat device to measure your bf% so there's going to be an error percentage in the results. But its close enough to show that you've lost fat and gained muscle. Congrats OP, keep going.

why are you so fat and stupid. if you're getting a range from 15-25%, then the minimum would be 15% so you push yourself hard enough to get to that goal. Too bad you're too fat to get there, enjoy working yourself to death for nothing.
