EGGS Anonymous
I usually eat three eggs scrambled + some ham for breakfast. I was just looking at the nutrition information for eggs, and they have a ton of cholesterol, like 150% of the daily value. Is this something I should be worried about? I don't have any heart problems, or high blood pressure, or anything.

Go get checked. High cholesterol is a genetic thing. Your body is either able to process, or not. I was a fat fuck for a number of years, but had perfect cholesterol. My brother is a slim, muscular fuck, and has batshit crazy high cholesterol that needs medication to be controlled for the rest of his life.

good amount of protein, but like others have said, watch out for the cholesterol. Even if you think you're doing ok, it can sneak up on you, its not like fat where you can physically see it. If you're eating eggs on a regular basis, i would recommend getting your cholesterol levels checked atleast every 6-8 months

eat more fiber: aka, oats...

you've seen Quaker oats commericals that say they'll lower your cholesterol... it's because of fiber. If you eat enough fiber a day, 3 eggs worth of cholesterol a day won't hurt you. I eat 2 eggs +1 1/2 cups of oat meal in the morning: one helluva breakfast.

but do get it checked regularly: hell, you should have some blood work done every 6 months or so, check your sugars, cholesterol, check for things like gout, etc.
