I've just starting getting /fit/ recently. When I do squats my back hurts more than anything else. I am certain it is not due to poor form. (I've had people watch me and they verify my back is straight). Is it ok to do squats if it hurts my back? I imagine this would pass soon.
What kind of pain is it?

its not ok to work a body part that is hurting. if you do squats one week and your back still hurts the next week when you are ready to do squats again: you have a problem.
