Who here has read Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe? I've heard that it has lots of good info for newbs to strength training. Stuff on form for SQUATZ and whatnot. Anyone read it? Like it? Recommend it?

it's only the best beginner strength training program ever. you can put on 30-40 lbs of muscle in a couple of months following that shit (if you never lifted before).

anyone got a torrent??

Only 1st edition. 2nd edition has more exercises and is better catered for trainees than coaches.

OP here--I suppose this means I should get the book ha ha. I'm not a very big guy--in fact, I just tried my first SQUATZ today at the gym. I started off with just the bar to get the form down (I recently slipped two discs at work), but I plan on continuing with banishing the gay from my soul by doing SQUATZ.

Just open the link and follow the prompts. Click on the free user button and wait for the download to open, then download it. Simple.
