Hey /fit/

Has anyone ever had a bout with carpal tunnel syndrome? I recently took a hit to the bone on the side of my index finger on my right hand (where your thumb rests if you put your thumb against your hand) by a pretty fast frisbee, and since then, I've had a bit of pain associated with certain flexations, movements, and pressures around the finger.

Last night, though, I noticed that the tip of my index finger and down to the second knuckle is a bit numb with a tingling sensation. I WebMD'd that shit, and the most likely ailment I could come up with was an acute case of CTS. I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience that turned out to be CTS or turned out to be something completely harmless.

I have chronic CTS and I tell you that it is not a good time. Go see a doctor, who should refer you to a physio (at a minimum)and hopefully begin to fix you up.

What I'm trying to sort out is whether I have CTS in only one part of one finger, or if I just have an injury-related numbness from that frisbee in the finger that got smacked pretty hard. I'm thinking the second is more likely, but I wasn't sure if anyone ever only got CTS in one or two fingers. I figured it was more of an all-over ailment, because it stems from the carpal tunnel at your wrist, rather than nerve damage at your fingertips.

Yes. Me. Does stretching the area carefully help? Sports docs also treat these kinds of impact injuries. Although I must admit never heard a frisbee causing lasting damage.
