I live in a naturally hilly area. Is it bad for me to run on hills? I was thinking running up them might be bad for knees, and I don't think going down them is anywhere near as much of a workout, so I was considering a treadmill.

Thoughts?

I just got back from a run that has hills, and i'm more inclined (pun not intended) to say that downhill might be worse on the knees just because you end up feeling like you're stomping along the way. Running uphill is better cardio than running on a level terrain.

That sort of gives the sensation that I'm about to fall forward.

Either we have different ideas of a hill, or I'm just doing something wrong, lol.

make litle steps like trying to slow down if the hill is that steep, or run sideways easing the angle
