I haven't been able to sleep fully for years. Anonymous
I'm not sure if this belongs here, but it's somewhat related to my health I guess... Anyway, whenever I go to sleep I wake up at random times and have to move around to get comfortable again. It's not because I'm uncomfortable that I wake up, I just... Wake up. I have no idea why either. I don't even have dreams that much because of this. And normally when I do dream I sometimes become conscious of it and wake myself up. What's wrong with me? I can't stay asleep. Even with Sleeping Pills and Benadryl I can't stay asleep for the whole night. But then again, I don't even remember the times that I wake up either. I know sometimes I wake up when it's dark and sometimes I wake up when it's daylight but I'm still tired as hell and try to get a couple more hours of sleep. Oh yeah, and after I wake up the first time and go back to sleep I wake up a lot more faster than if I had been up for awhile(Like, if I were to go to sleep now, wake up and then go back to sleep I'd wake up every 15 minutes to 30 minutes nonstop until I'm up for the rest of the day).

Oh yeah, this has been happening for YEARS. I don't remember the last time I got a full nights rest.

What's wrong with me? Is it because I'm fat? I know it's not sleep apnea because I NEVER wake up gasping for air.

Pic unrelated, I don't have any /fit/ pictures.

Could be sleep apnea, where you stopping breathing for a bit while you sleep and it wakes you up.

I never wake up gasping for air, though. And I've been told that I don't snore

"There are three distinct forms of sleep apnea: central, obstructive, and complex (i.e., a combination of central and obstructive) constituting 0.4%, 84% and 15% of cases respectively.[1] Breathing is interrupted by the lack of respiratory effort in central sleep apnea; in obstructive sleep apnea, breathing is interrupted by a physical block to airflow despite respiratory effort. In complex (or "mixed") sleep apnea, there is a transition from central to obstructive features during the events themselves."

If it's the first one, you wouldn't be gasping when you wake up and might not know. Maybe have someone watch you while you sleep.

people with sleep apnea wake up all the time you fuckwit, which is probably what OP has.
>> w/ CSCS + BS in exerc phys
glad you are all doctors

i thought OP had ruled out sleep apnea, which is hard to do on self, but depending upon which level of sleep, one can 'catch' oneself as he/she comes to

get a sleep lab done if you want solutions.

and OP you are still full of shit about the temazapam. hence me assuming you lied about all else.

It hasn't helped me at all, and why the fuck would I waste so much time trying to lie over the internet? I see no point at all in doing so.

tv gives out the a light similar to the sun, making your body think its nowhere near time to go to sleep, try not watching tv for atleast 30 minutes before you go to sleep and see if you still wake up
