Never drink a soda again.

You're chubby, so I know you drink a lot of that shit.

Just cutting out soda (not cutting back, cutting OUT) will drop between 2000 and 5000 calories a week from your diet. In other words, you could lose a pound a week or more simply from not drinking soda. It doesn't sound like much but losing more than 2 pounds a week is a very good pace. 10 a month is excellent for someone unfamiliar with proper health and fitness.

Stop doing machine workouts. Do squats, do free-weight bench and military presses. Learn to dead lift.

Here's an exercise method I just learned today and it kicked the living shit out of me.

http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/the_tabata_method

Do thrusters with 20 or 25 pound weights and MAKE SURE you actually push all the way through.

No more sugary food. No more icecream. The less you eat this stuff, the less you'll crave it. Try and avoid anything fried (fried chicken, fried fish, french fries).

Start eating 6 times a day. This may seem like it takes a lot of work but it isn't.

Eat a nice sized breakfast. 2 hours from there eat a light snack (I like eating a handful or two of almonds with a fresh fruit smoothie). Get a normal sized lunch and split it in half. Save the second half for 2 hours after lunch. Eat even if you're not hungry yet (a big part is eating BEFORE you're hungry, while eating the same amounts you normally would). Get an early dinner and split it in half like your lunch. Eat the second half two hours after the first.

Just eating like this will increase your energy and metabolism. It'll also keep you from feeling hunger pains, which will also reduce your urge to pig out on food that's bad for you. Since you won't ever reach a "hungry" stage, eating will be more about have a nice proportioned and healthy meal, not sating an urge to fuel your body.

ok, im back,

i did a 15 minute bike, then a 10 min, then mile run.

a little more about myself

-im in highschool
-i rowed for my school for the past two years to lose weight, with almost no results
-i never drink soda, arizona green tea is my bad habit though
-i used to work out every morning for rowing but then put it back on from the ridiculously unhealthy breakfast that just feels so good, that they serve in the caf, so i am used to a heavy workout regimen
- i have a gym membership

Make sure to split up your meals.

Stop drinking that iced tea, it's just about as sugary as soda and comes in bigger serving sizes.

If you have experience pushing yourself, start doing HIIT and/or check out that Tabata method link.

Oh yeah, don't even DREAM of seeing good results for at least two months.

Yeah, some people might be able to pull off miracle body changes . . . but one of the most common reasons people fail at getting in shape is that they expect to see large changes too soon and get discouraged.

It took me almost three months to see a noticeable change, despite my strength going way up and my body fat going way down.

i dont really want to see change as just lose weight, like i really want to get fit by february 1 but i want to be at 200 by new years

I started 230 and am now 150

i started the beginning of summer and ended up 150 around the end of the season.

my doctor told me not to lose anymore weight, so i have to start gaining muscle

Even at 150, i have moobs and still dont wanna take my shirt off..

but ill have to say mine started out larger then yours

the only thing i really did was go to the gym and eat a LITTLE better

the reason i dont LOOK fit was my diet, which im currently fixing

im not an expert obviously but ill add in what i wish i had done.

Basically, first just do squats.. alot of squats, or use the leg press to muscle up your legs, then when youre satisfied, do running. Running showed the most results for me.

after a few days at the gym, or even working out at all, youll be more aware of what youre eating. (dont want to mess up the work you did, etc.)

the confidence gain itself will keep your motivation going

so, just get out there.. now
