Hemophilia zmastersword !mwxxWwHNA6
Are there any other hemophiliacs?
I'm wondering because I'm the only one I know. I used to go to a summer camp for it but I'm in my 20's now so that's not really a thing I want to do.

Also, do any other hemophiliacs experience heart complications related or not to their hemophilia?

I'm type B moderate//missing no.9

Ha, summer camp for a genetic disease? What the hell did you do there?

Oddly enough we had a B.B. gun range...
They replaced it with archery, and more kids got hurt doing that than they did with the guns.
haha I even stabbed a kid in the eye with the end of an arrow because the ass-hat was standing behind me when I pulled it out of the hay.

How is archery for hemophiliacs different than archery for dudes and chicks with normal clotting factors? Or was it actually like, more strictly controlled safety procedures and stuff? Or just for a sense of bonding with other people with the disease?

The camp is really for kids who have severe hemophilia that need something to do or kids that have moderate or mild and their parents are just sick of dealing with them lol.

The archery wasn't even attended by anyone with a license/certification or whatever you need to teach archery. The guy made a hobby of it, but he was the chief hematologist at our local hospital (which has a hemophilia ward) (OHSU)

Oh, that's cool I guess. So what do you do if you get a cut or something; is it bad enough that you have to go to the hospital for treatment or do you just bleed for longer than normal people? And what exactly is the treatment, just infusions of blood with normal clotting factors?

You have no idea dude. That is pretty much exactly what happens. Usually when I'm about to do something rigorous/dangerous I have to tell whoever I'm doing it with that I'm a hemophiliac and they're all "dur da hur dus that mean if u blede then u dye?"
But yeah it just bleeds for longer.
I actually bashed my head with a bedpost one time and I was fine. But I have mild. Mild<<Moderate<<Severe.
The treatment used to be infusions with human factor, but because a lot of people with hemophilia died of AIDS because of poor regulation in blood donation most hemophiliacs (and anyone who needs a regular blood transfusion) infuse with nonhuman product.

by dangerous/rigorous I mean if I'm on a trampoline, wrestling etc

So you're essentially a vampire.

Dude it would suck if you were fucking a chick and your frenulum tore. Jesus that would suck. Now you'll always fear that happening.

I'm not sure you understood what I mean. I'll elaborate. Mild is very, very low risk. I'm barely a hemophiliac, but enough that it counts. Enough that if I do get a large injury there is that slightly greater chance (let's say 15%) that I'll bleed to death if not treated soon enough. Severe hemophiliacs, however, need crutches by their 50's most of the time because even walking stresses their joints too much.

Hemophilia in women is extremely rare, however when you breed a hemophiliac male with a female carrier (only women can be carriers) you have a 100% guarantee that no matter the gender the child will have hemophilia. Otherwise girls aren't born with it.

Also a hemophiliac on her period is even worse. lol.

Not only is it dangerous, but you get like 2x the bitchiness.

OK, so again does anyone know if hemophilia can be traced to heart disease?

No. In some cases, you even want your blood to be "thinner" if you have heart disease. My dad has an artificial (mechanical) valve, and he now has to take a medication that 'thins' his blood so that it doesn't clot around the valve.
