okay /fit/ simple question i don't see thrown around a lot here.

how long you work out at the gym.

me:
30 mins weight lifting
30 mins cardio (treadmill)

i bought a gym package that included about 10 sessions with a personal trainer, i have to say it's helped me quite a bit. I think i'm about halfway through them, so i'll start researching different training regimens for chest back and legs. We move fast from exercise to exercise, so in 25-30 mins i'm shot.

I've heard that after training for a good solid 30 mins, when i do cardio it'll start burning off fat, so i added running to my routine.

5 minutes cardio warmupz
50+ min weightz

bike ride to work + back is my main cardio

on non-lifting days, i warm up, stretch for 20-30 min and then take sauna

this schedule will change drastically in a few months when i am strong enough to want to start cutting all the lard off my ass

what do you usually do on your 50 mins of weights?

do you have a partner? machines or free weights?

the workout from Mark Rippetoe's 'starting strength' (google it).

All free weights. No partner.

1 hour of cardio in the morning
2 hours of weight lifting in the afternoon

i do this 3 times a week

in b4 waaahhhhhhh overtraining. shut up you fat powerlifters. i get 30 grams of complete protein every 3-4 hours and adequate glycogen replacement and vitamins and minerals. try having bulletproof nutrition yourself and you'll be able to do the same

OP here, i just got back from the gym actually.

my session today included

SQUATZ
leg extensions
hamstring curls
calf raises
and abdominals
total time 30mins

run for 30mins
5min cool down.

i feel good except for the fact i might be getting tinnitus from listening to music so loud on the treadmill.

it's just seeing that fat ugly fucks in the gym that just sit around a machine doing just one thing or doing whatever machine they walk in front of thinking that it'll help them.
