Hai guise. 13 year old boy here, 5'2(ish), 155 lbs. I want to join the Army, or Marines one day, and I don't want to get my ass kicked in Boot Camp, I'd like to be atleast SOMEWHAT fit by the time I get there. I live in the middle of a forest, so I have no friends to do shit with. I'm wondering how I can lose some weight while still doing something decently-amusing. I've stopped drinking soda (it was all I ever drank) a couple days ago, and have moved to Hawaiin Punch / Apple Juice. Will changing my drinking diet help // What can I do?

for one thing, if you decide to go army, you don't need to worry about physical fitness, even if you go officer. Boot camp for both services = same. If you go to OCS for the MC, though, you'd better be prepared.

tl;dr unless you're going OCS for usmc don't fucking worry about it. Boot camp is NOT physically demanding, just morally. And it's stressful as hell.

i suggest you just eat lots of chicken/milk and eggs and get some of those fiber bars or some shit try not to overeat you shouldn't have more than probably 2000 calories a day until you are a bit older....don't lift heavy weights but you can surely do cardio and stuff....don't start lifting heavy weights until you are 16 maybe even 18 or you might end up small forever(lifting weights when you are underage can make your growth plates fuse and you won't grow anymore.....don't rush being a man it will happen soon enough

Wrong. Army basic and USMC bootcamp are NOT the same. If you aren't performing to the best of your ability in bootcamp, then you WILL receive bad pro/cons (scores that follow you throughout your career).
You've got 5 years, haha. Main thing, start swimming if you can, or biking. You need to do lots of cardio and get that built up before basic or you will suffer more.
I also recommend googling the "daily 16" and giving those workouts a try. It's more like the daily 7 in the fleet, ha, but in boot, you'll want all the help you can get.
