So I come to /fit/ once in a blue moon so sorry if this thread is like a repeat of a repeat of a repeat. Anyway, I'm a fairly average person in terms of height, weight and strength. I eat 3 meals a day and they usually consist of healthy food.

However, the only appliance I can use to prepare meals is my microwave (ovens, rice cookers, etc. not allowed in dorm rooms due to fire hazard). I like my food ready really fast (which is why lately, I've been eating instant oatmeal for breakfast and lunch). I know this lack of variety is unhealthy though, so can you suggest something different for me to try?

1. go to a cafeteria on campus.
2. Buy something you'd like.
3. ?????
4. Profit!

Doesn't your dorm have a shared kitchen where you can cook stuff? If not you must be american, in which case I don't care if you starve anyway.

Only stuff the cafeteria near my dorm serves at the times I'm able to eat my meals is pizza. I like pizza, but it is not going to be my lunch and dinner every single day for the rest of this semester. And no, there is no shared kitchen in my dorm nor any of the surrounding dorms. Thus, my dilemma.

Indeed and for more reason than just no variety of food. However, at least this one I can fix... with the power of microwavable meals.
