Depends on your current fat-free mass and activity level.

Generic answer 40-30-30 (40% carbohydrate, 30% protein, and 30% fat)

OP here.
I don't know about my FFM but as far as activity goes:
walking a mile to/from work 15 min each way.
Starting strength 5x5 3 time a week 30 min cardio(to fat for HIIT i know).

Yeah, keep somewhere around 40-30-30 and watch your intake. There is no blanket solution so you'll have to find your own answers for the most part.

Just get 1.7 g per kg of bodyweight protein and eat enough carbs to maintain your activity levels.

Depends. Cycle the carbs. This will increase your insulin sensitivity. Go carb heavy on hard workout days, otherwise go light.

Another good general rule is to keep carbs and fats separate, beyond trace amounts of either in the other. In practice, this winds up meaning no fast food at all, among other things, since you like a bun with your greasy hamburger.
