How do you deal with your anger /fit/?
I find I feel so shitty for not sticking up for myself, yet I know once I get into verbal arguements that it will quickly turn physical. I don't want to be a violent person but since this keeps building I may not havea choice.
How do I find relief with this? working out doesn't seem to cut it

I don't get angry. Since I'm black if I get angry and do something stupid I'm going to jail.

If you want to fight just make the other guy pissed enough to attack you and make sure there's a witness for the self defense claim. Also make sure he's not dangerous enough to carry a weapon. This tactic requires enough intelligence to prevent yourself from losing your temper so I don't think it will work for you.
One thing you said that's bothering me is that your anger is "building up." Anger isn't a liquid that somehow overflows when you've had enough. If it is then you're egging yourself on. Real anger is when something happens so far removed from what you can accept or even comprehend that you have a strong urge to kill the thing that offended you, regardless of if it can be killed or not. The kind of urge I'm referring to is not like the urge to masturbate or eat. It's something much more powerful.

well like the last guy said get him pissed off enough to attack you and if you have decent reflexes dodge and punch him in the jaw a few times, he should go down. or if your even bettet counter his punch while he's punching

Physical brutality is too easy, mentally harming your enemy is alot more rewarding

Depending on the way you go about it it may be far more difficult.

Words: hard mode
Desecrating something cherished by your target: easy mode.

I find martial arts/combat sports to be extraordinarily effective.
Getting your ass handed to you a couple of times by someone who can fight circles around you will humble you up pretty quickly.
Fighting in controlled situations will allow you to keep a cooler head in stressful situations.
Learning that there are people who can rip you a new one in ways you've never imagined will encourage you to not pick fights.
Knowing that, if need be, you can kick a little ass yourself, will free you from having to actually do so.

Yes, my friend, you can become a less violent person by dedicating yourself to (controlled) violence.

get into a fight, get your ass kicked, and remember how it feels, and refer back to that feeling next time you wanna talk shit!

I'll end up taking it out on my enviroment. There's dents in the fridge and a few walls of where I've punched them. Hell, there is a huge dent in the side of a trailer somewhere. It broke my hand once, but I'd rather break one of my own bones than going insane and crushing someone's skull.
