I'm like 6 feet 2 inches tall, weigh like 159 pounds, and have some disgusting flab I need to lose. If I lay my pink under by belly while sitting I can pretty much hide it so that I can't see it. What seems like a good goal weight?

a good goal weight for 6'2" is like 10 pounds heavier than you are.

Yeah really I'm 6'1" and I weigh about 190 and I look pretty fit (except for my thighs). You must have chicken arms and legs if you have that much belly flab at your weight.

I eat a good 1500-1800 calories a day so I doubt I could really be considered anorexic.

It's the idea that losing weight would be a good choice.

err, normal daily intake for a man is 2500 or more calories.

I'm trying to lose weight though so that I don't have this flab anymore.

OP, clearly what people are saying is that you're a moron for being concerned with WEIGHT and not FAT VOLUME and MUSCLE MASS. You actually want a greater net weight with more muscle mass and less fat.

Eat more and work out. You're only losing more muscle by starving yourself, so eventually you'll look like god damn skeletor with a pot belly.

What's so terrible about eating less then 2000 calories a day?
>> Anonymous
Body maintenance is about 2500 kcal per day. If you're eating 2000 kcal a day and moving at all, you're going to lose weight. If you're exercising, you're going to be messing up your metabolism.

If I'm only interested in losing some flab then why would I try weight training crap? I'm not really into getting muscular breasts or something.

Topic changing cum bandit, your question
> What's so terrible about eating less then 2000 calories a day?
was about caloric intake, not weight training.

> muscular breasts
Gunnery Sergeant Anonymous: Are you a peter puffer?! Pay attention dammit, and you might get /fit/ter!

He had responded that I ought to be more concerned with trying to build muscle mass rather then trying to drop some fat.

Because you are already at an ideal weight and by losing more you are going to put yourself in danger.

OP is skinny fat, a man who will always look soft and puffy because all of his weight is comprised of dough. Even at 10% fat, you will still look bad because there is no muscle to shape you.
