hey /fit/
I'm curious, is a flat tummy possible? Or does genetics
play a role? I've always have a little bump thing on the bottom of my stomach and I can't get rid of no matter what I do. I'm thinking the only way to get rid of it is surgery, but that's not an option.

tl;dr
I have a slight pooch; is it possible to get rid of?

Pic very related.

pictures... it is determined by body fat percentage. that minuscule bit of fat on ones stomach tends to be the most difficult to get rid of. Decrease body fat % and you'll watch the "slight pooch" disappear

You're right I'm basing it off things I see in the media, but I'm also basing it off a lot of girls I see when I go swimming at the lake during the summer. There are few who aren't flat, but the majority are. Plus, my best friend has a flat tummy along with my step sister.

Very rarely do I drink sodas. Mostly water and the occasional energy drink. Although energy drinks are full of fucking sugar...eh..but so damn tasty.

i'll elaborate. Yes, genetics has a role. However OP asked if it were possible to get rid of the small bit of fat at the bottom of the stomach.. Notice the picture if you can...

see this mans little bump? its disapearing... why? because he is losing weight, by losing weight the total amount of fat on his body is decreasing ( BF% ) thus the fat on his stomach lessens, if he were to continue at this rate?? he'd be shredded. and wouldn't have noticeable stomach fat. Thus, lower bodyfat = less fat on the body = less noticeable fat on OP's stomach. Better?

The "bump" (for future reference, the medical term is "abdominal pannus" or "panniculus") isn't going away, it's being filled out by muscle.

In most cases, once you're that fat, the skin never goes back to normal and the only way to look decent is to bulk up to fill out the skin. If he just lost fat and didn't bulk up, he'd be all saggy.

take CLA's...they help get rid of the tummy fat...but it is required that you also do lower ab exercises
