When should I be taking my protein shakes when I'm trying to gain muscle? Like before a workout, right when I wake up, after a workout, etc. Thanks.

Drink it whenever the fuck you want, as many times a day as you please, but always drink it within 30 minutes after finishing your lifts.

It's also a good idea to have a serving immediately before bed, since your muscles do most of their repairs in your sleep.

I also have a serving after I wake up, with breakfast.
