Is there a good treatment for blackheads so I won't have to go to a dermatologist? I've tried creams like Biore shit and generic blackhead scrub, but that doesn't work apparently. Neither do pore strips. My condition isn't as bad as the picture, but I still have them and it sucks.

Benzoylperoxyd
>> aNONYMOUS
Blackheads are pores that are pretty much being clogged by dirt on the surface that sticks to the natural face-oils produced by glands on your body. Though you are cheap to want to ask people on an image board for a solution to try save a few bucks you'll get pretty much the same answer: "Stop being cheap, look for a local skin doctor and usually 1 visit is all you need to help correct the problem"

After that suggest you wash face twice a day with an antibacterial soap, then use clearasil cleaning pads on the face, also can try dry heat sauna which makes you sweat from every pore helping the cleaning process. A doctor has a small tool they use to scrub the surface of the pores clean fast and easy (dunno its name) so make an appointment instead.

squeeze them out individually
>> Anonymous
Hmm, I have an idea, how about using a syringe without the needle, and sucking those little shits out? Then to wash your face with cold water and antibacterial soap and etc etc.?

>>61896
just jam a needle in them

Hairgrip. Drag over skin. Burst blackheads. Cotton wool and witch hazel as cleanser.

dip method + those pore strip things
DO NOT SQUEEZE THEM OUT this can permanatly enlarge your pores, and you'll walk around with gigantic nasty pores for the rest of your life.

DUCT TAPE

>>61979

Yknow, the funny thing is that duct tape actually works on blackheads in the early stages when the dirt is just starting to settle into the pores. Problem is, by the time most people start to worry about them, the blackheads are generally well past that stage.

"dip method"?

Seconding the "don't squeeze them out". I have one or two gigantic retarded looking pores because I did that.

>>62034
Wrong. I squeeze mine out all the time and find that with a bit of loving after care my pores remain small and inconspicuous looking (in fact I used to be a big pore fag before learning to properly maintain mah skin.) Skin is more like rubber than like clay, it can repair itself if you let it.

1.fill basin w/hot water (not so it it hurts, but hot)
2.hold face in water for 3-6 min, 1-3 times per day

the hot water opens your pores and flushes them out. its how i got rid of my acne after years of wasting my time with face washes that did nothing

find some Clearasil in the store - i had terrible acne I was on perscriptions for, for whatever reason Clearasil fixed me up, and it's OTC too. I'm also taking some horse-sized pills to go with it, but it works pretty well by itself

Duct tape ftw. put it on and rip it off.

Tee Tree Oil is supposed to be good for blackheads

Tea Tree Oil smelled like shit, made my skin oily, and did nothing to my pores.

contrary to popular belief, black heads are oxidized skin oils, hence they are dull, inert, and hard to remove. Oxides are naturally very stable so its difficult to dissolve them using surfactants and emulsifiers (cleansers).>>62107
This anon is on the right track, there's no magical cleanser to do the work for you. I personally remove by squeezing them while they are still small, though>>61965may be right about the permanent damage.

How do you breathe?

why do they primarily form on the nose?

Yeah, i've got major blackheads and can't remove them, as bad if not worse as op's pic

So then is it 6 minutes total, Or is it 6 minutes in the water not including breathing time?

Yes, but you know, 40% sodium hydroxide works just fine at dissolving those blackhead plugs.

Steam treatment would probably work just as well.

Biore pore pack. PORE PACK. not those shitty scrubs or pore cleansing fluids. My gawd these blackhead threads come out every other day.

For best results, wash your face clean with warm water, then re-wet the face. Wait until pore strip dries hard like a leg cast - this will take up to 30 min.

get something sharp and push it along the side of your nose, works for me

then wash your face you shitface

nooooooo.

Tried that once, removed a large patch of skin. You look like an idiot (everyone will ask you what you did) and it takes a week or two before the bright red patch fades.

Well gents, I've just ordered a set of comedone extractors off of Amazon. When they come in, I'm going to use a three pronged attack on my blackheads:

1. Exfoliate affected areas thoroughly with apricot scrub and maybe a rough sponge
2. Use dip method for about 3 minutes to open up my pores real good
3. Use my comedone extractor to get out as many blackheads as I can.

If this doesn't work, I'm going to repeat step 2 and then use those biore pore packs one or two times.

After I'm done, I'll use a gentle face cleanser on my skin, rinse it off, and then dip my face in really cold water for about a minute to close my pores. Then I'll pat my face dry and use a good moisturizer that won't clog my pores. Then I will go to sleep with my face on freshly washed pillowcases.

I will probably do this this weekend when my extractors come in. I'll share my results.

I used a bottle of Clean & Clear and it worked great. I can't find the picture but it was the one in the purple bottle. It's not meant for blackheads as much but it still worked wonders on my face. I'm on my second bottle now and my face is a lot clearer. Now It's only a few spots here and there instead of my entire jawline and a flood of blackheads along the nose line (not as bad as the OP's pic).
>> Try bathing? 4th generation
Put cold water on your nose.
Whipe it off with a wash cloth, removing the facial oil with it.
Repeat as needed when face feels oily.
It won't happen in a day. Be patiant, and stop wasting money on products.
If you feel uncomfertarable in your own skin...well...your kinda SOL becouse unless you pull a Rod Zombie. It's the only set your getting.
It's not a big deal.
Just eat healthier break a sweet more often and wash your face on the reg.

%40 sodium hydroxide is a strong base. something that corrosive (10 moles/liter, pH ~13, in this concentration) would be damaging to the skin. NaOH reacts with lipids (fats and oils on skin) making salts in its wake.

Just started using today, good idea? y/n. I work out 3-4 times a week (2 muscle groups each session) and run about 3 times each week.

Yeah, the Clean & Clear Continuous Control works great. Don't get any exfoliant that doesn't use biodegradable shit. Look for the ingredients, if it says Polyethylene throw it away, it's plastic beads that fuck up food chains in the ocean.

fyi creatine kills your kidneys and basicaly all it does is make you bulk faster by adding sand to your muscles, the bulk will go away after you stop lifting or taking creatine. so imo its not the best thing to be using
>> Anonymous
>>63810
>the bulk will go away after you stop lifting

O RLY
>> Anonymous
>>63810
They've never proven it does damage to your kidneys, idiot.
Adds SAND to your muscles? you're the dumbest fucking thing I've seen in ages, creatine's a precursor to the ATP your muscles use for energy, and the gains don't just magically dissapear once you stop taking it, once again wrong.

Sure you wont have the same power you used to, because your muscles have less energy in them, but the muscle you grew in the time wont go anywhere, the waterweight from the creatine superhydrating your muscles will though.

Seriously, learn what the fuck you're on about.

And even if you only plan to take for a short period, because you can lift more reps of heavier weights under the same circumstances as before (or same reps of heavier weight) you'll put on muscle faster, aswell as get more CNS stimulation, so you'll still grow at an accelerated rate.

Fuck some people should shutup.

I've had fucking horrible skin for the longest time.
I've tried all kind of shit and eventually it ended with me getting down to this routine:

-Wash your face at least twice every day with a clear Nutogena
glycerin bar (The orange one)

-Pat dry, then use a textured cotton pad to apply a NON-ALCOHOL toner (I use a Nivea Visage toner, pink color w/ chamomile and some other shit). This'll help exfolate your skin so shit doesn't get stuck in it.

-From here just wait a bit and apply a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream (I just use a normal clearasil benzoyl peroxide cream)

-Finally, apply a light lotion, I use Nivea for Men Soothing Lotion, it has no dyes, scents, and has sun block.

Seriously just do this at least twice a day and shit good. Least for me it is, I'm 20 now going on 21 and had the crazy acne. The subdermal one that makes your face a big red ballon.

Clean now, but yeah.
