What's the best snack food?

I find that a lot of times I just want to eat. It's a habit I'm trying to kick. But what's the least harmful thing I can put in front of myself and munch on through the day? I've heard good things about celery, good things about nuts, etc.

Bonus question: which are the good nuts and which are the bad nuts? Unprocessed/unsalted is obvious. I've heard almonds are good for you maybe? In before deez.

I'm actually really interested in this topic also, because I am ALWAYS hungry and tend to binge and immediately regret it.

I've been eating smaller, healthier options more often lately. It's only been 3 days, but I certainly feel better.

I make a little salad out of just lettuce and then I mix a little vinegar and some spices (like Italian seasoning) together to make a low-calorie dressing for the salad.

The only reason I eat nuts/peanut butter is because its full of calories and fat that I'm unable to get through the day with my meals.

I'd opt for veggies if you're trying to lose weight-- fruits are full of sugar and carbs, and it really is just a snack. If you want to be full, eat something with a little fat in it as it will help with the fullness factor. Also, dietary fiber, etc. That too.

So... a small amount of nuts/pb with some veggies or something...

Or I find cottage cheese is awesome anytime of the day (:
