Hey /fit/, I had a question about training, I am a high school senior and I was wondering if anyone had a program where I could train to run 3 miles in 18 minutes and 100 sit-ups in 2 minutes.

Start small. Run, walk fast to rest, run, walk fast, repeat.... Over time you'll be able to run/job it without stopping. And 100 sit-ups...get off your computer and start doing them in sets.

Sit ups are useless. You need to do 1000/day before it matters.

Run 3 miles. Run 3 miles faster. Repeat. 18 minutes is slow. People in good condition would fit an extra mile in there.

I'm a freshman(in b4 underage b&) who can do 200 in that time, and that's 1 minute slower than my 3k right now. Also I'm a girl.

What worked best for me was HIIT and 100 crunches in the morning and evening. There was no set plan for it, I just kind of worked out whenever possible.

do about six of those and thats a good workout IMO

but in all seriousness OP, if you wanna run 3 miles fast, then start running 3 miles FAST.

every day just run 3 miles, time yourself, start trying to shave the time down every day, just by 5 seconds or so, doesn't have to be much, but it will eventually add up.

and an 18 min 3 miles is pushing it pretty hard, for me at least, and I run at least 3 miles every day and am doing cross country
