So a friend and I are going to start boxing in a gym thats opening up by our house in 2months. We run about 2miles a day, jump rope for 45-1hour 3 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week. He's into the protein shakes but I stay away from them because I wanna cut down a weight class, I'm 5'8 and weigh 165lbs(SuperMiddle Weight), and I would like to get down to Middle Weight 154-160lbs or even 147-154lbs (Super Welter Weight). Is this healthy for my height? This is my first time doing a fighting sport. Also I take a men's daily vitamin, 1000mg C cap, and some Cod Liver Oil Caps every day, what other kinds of supplements would be useful for my goals?I'm 18 and male btw.Thanks
That's a fine weight to be at for your height. Although you can't really rely on height/weight charts too much because everyone is unique, for you about a 145 lbs weight would be middle of the road.
