The very first thread I posted here was a thread on ankle weights.

4 months later, it turns out ankle weights have done little for me in terms of lower body strength or weight gain/loss, while on a constant schedule of cardio/lift. What they have done is make me kick harder, according to my practice partner.

Ankle weights are bad for your joints. If you must use weighted clothing, use a vest. Has a better center of gravity.
