Hai ex-fatties,

Male, 24, 6 feet, 160 pounds. I started working out a couple of months ago, everything's going great, enjoying newbie gains etc etc, BUT I started to notice that I'm losing hair and I'm starting to get some terrible backne. My diet didn't change much as I already was eating healthy, all I had to do was drop the alcohol and white bread, and reduce the amount of fats. My personal hygiene habits haven't changed either so what the hell, /fit/... Physical strain = hair loss and backne? Anything like that happened to you? What did you do? Or should I just shave my head, run a cheese grater over my back, get over it and do some squatz?

Hair loss can come from stress.

Nope, the only things I'm stressing about is the hairloss and backne. Like I said, nothing changed except me starting to run and lift 3 days a week.

Then it makes no sense to me, but I'm not a doctor, so call see one.

Working out alleviates stress if anything, only thing i get from working out is stretchmarks from my back getting bigger.

You're not using steroids by any chance? Side effect.

I'm not touching that stuff with a ten foot pole. And I'm pretty sure it would be pretty pointless anyway as I'm not plateauing yet.

Thanks for the answers. As it doesn't seem to be a common problem I'll just go see my doctor.

You might just be balding and growing more hair on your back. These things tend to happen at that age.
