Energy drinks are horrible for you. Drink tea instead.

high amounts of caffeine have no real benefits of any type in the long run. you're best to never drinking caffeine of any type, or just on occasion.

It's called tolerance, you can mostly reset that in a matter of days, and completely reset it in ~14 days.

Caffeine greatly boosts endurance, and helps metabolize fat (after the stimulant portion wears off for the most part, oddly enough), I don't see what the fuss is about; just take it correctly (not too late in the day, not too much, taper off to reset your tolerance every week or so) and it's nothing but beneficial.

coffee and hot tea are actually good for you if you do not add suger to them, but since all I drink is water a little caffeine can last a little longer than I want it to.

dead on.

Try to avoid the sugar energy(empty calories) drinks and don't drink like 3 of them back to back. If you do you'll fuck over your adrenal glands and have a shitty day.

An alternative is taking a high dosage of vitamin C or a mixture of B vitamins.

Most energy drinks have guarana in them. Guarana has 3x as much caffeine as coffee.

Just fyi... <_<

Coffee in what form? Brewed? Bean? Ground? Guarana in what form (lol what forms does it come in anyway?)? Until you get those pieces of info, your 5 hour energy tidbit is completely irrelevant.

No energy drink I'm aware of (this includes redline) contains more than 350mg of caffeine.

Well, maybe those fuck-off enormous cans of monster/rockstar might come close.

Caffeine pills ftw. They seem to be slightly inferior to some energy drinks for a reason I've never been able to duplicate.
