Alright /fit/ I'm in need of your help. I'm a fat fuck. And for you Eurofags, yes I'm an Americunt. I'm 6'3" 320lbs. (190.5cm, 145.1kg)

I'm going away to college this fall, and I don't want to be a huge fatass when I'm there. I'd like to lose 70lbs by September 1st.

I've been slowly running the last 3 weeks, and doing sit-ups and pushups as well. Obviously I'm going to step up the running. But I want to know, is it even healthy to attempt to lose that much weight that quickly, or is my goal completely unrealistic?

It's possible, but not very likely, and I wouldn't suggest it. It's recommended that you not lose more than 2 pounds a week. Too much more than that and it increases your chances of losing muscle mass, or having loose skin when you're done.

>losing muscle mass

Note this. Losing weight doesn't equate to losing fat.

Losing muscle is very very bad, because muscle working burns fat.
>> Anonymous
Besides, it increases the risk of gaining weight again.

Wanna know the secret to losing weight and feeling great? Wanna know the way to

turn those scrawny legs/arms into tree trunks? Well I have the answer for you.
It's called hard work.
It's not called going to the gym WITH A BOOK and being able to read it while you

"exercise". It's not called doing 20 min. of weightlifting for "toning". And it is

definatley not thinking that just "cutting the carbs or calories or fat" will

work.
It is about getting out of your comfort zone and doing something about your fat

ass and out of shape body.
There is a reason why there are so many of you /f/at faggots out there and so few

of us /f/it tards. Because getting into a fit shape AND keeping it takes hard

work. This involves removing yourself from your chair/couch and getting yourself

out of your comfort zone.
Guess what, you are a 6'1 320lbs (~150kgs for you eurofags) guy and you want to

lose weight. Guess what the answer is... MOVE. Get up off your cheeseburger with

extra fries and DIET coke ass and move.
What's that? You are a 5'4 145lbs (?kgs go fuck yourself eurofags) girl and you

want to lose your pouch and tighten your arms? Then MOVE.
If you don't have a gym membership you FAIL. If you take a book to a gym, you

FAIL. If you just use the elliptical/bike/treadmill/stepper you FAIL. If you just

do crunches every nite before sleepy time and then every-now-and-then do pushups

you FAIL. If you have been "working out for months and see no result" you FAIL,

really fuckin hard.(cont)

I'm not sure that 2 pounds a week is accurate for people that are carrying that much weight.

When I first started working out, I was at around 280, and I was losing around a pound a day for the first month or so. I wasn't starving myself or anything, and I was lifting on top of cardio, so I don't think I was losing muscle. It does slow down, though.

No idea who that is in the picture but as a dorky little femanon looking to lose extra baggage I'm quite proud of them. Quite inspiring.

As for OP's question, just eat right along with that. No deep fried balls of Coca Cola, fatty.

When it comes to losing weight, i say don't bother with the scale.

Use it at the start and when you finally feel like you are satisfied with your body, that's it.

The reason i say this is because your weight fluctuates. I know when i was mostly fat i weighed 170, and now i weigh 190, but have a lot more muscle on me (and im running better than i ever have). From a pure weight point of view im pretty much failing arent i?

The best gauge for progress imo is when you wake up each morning and take off your shirt to take a shower. Check out the mirror, liking what you see? keep it up. Not liking what you see? step it up.

Dude don't plan on losing more than a 1lb a week once ur weight stabilizes from exercising, Anyways It has been found that exercising at a moderate pace, not a vigorous pace as would be expected, works best for fat loss. The assholes are right eating right will help, stay away from any soda, chips, fried foods, fast foods, anything that looks like i would be a bad idea (honey buns) prolly are a bad idea. I've been 300 since I was in 9th grade, last I checked I wasn't lazy unless playing rugby is considered a lazy sport. Playing sports once your at school will help you find friends who are active and will help to keep you active. From four years of wrestling I found jump roping for minutes on end for like 30minutes can be quite good for burning extra calories. Anyways if you have any extra questions send me an aim message. CONTROL YOUR DIET.

you will lose the weight you want.

cut out all processed foods (sugar, fake sugar, fake cheese, SNACKS)

Drink lots of water

This alone will drop tons of weight. If you tack on cardio and some weight lifting, you will be golden. Good luck

A great way to start off doing cardio, especially when you're carrying that much weight, is to pick up a recumbent exercise bike and do a few sets on it a day.

Because, if you're anything like I was, going to the gym is daunting when you're that heavy, and even running outside is a little embarrassing. The recumbent bike is comfortable (as opposed to its stand-up brethren) and will serve you well for quite awhile until your weight loss slows down. At that point, you'll probably want to switch over to jogging, or doing HIIT.

Plus, it's a lot easier to convince yourself to go into your garage and read a book while you exercise for 45 minutes than it is to convince yourself to go outside and jog, or go to the gym.
