Her reason for being one is that she read one of those books.

Give me reasons that aren't full of shit as to why Vegetarianism is good.

I am a female vegetarian. I switched to vegetarianism because I was getting horrible cramps and discomfort during my period and when I cut out meat, the pain would not come. I decided it wasn't really worth it to eat meat since I never liked it much anyway to be in tremendous pain a few days out of every month.
