OP, it's effective. Damn effective. Here's the thing.
-You have to stick to it. In real life you won't have a drill instructor barking at you to exercise. Problem is, it is VERY intensive. Notably, the running.
Starting off, you run 2 miles in 8 min 30 sec. That's an average speed of 14 mi/hr. The average human runs at around 10 mi/hr. The max recorded speed is 26 mi/hr, the highest sustained speed is 15 mi/hr. In other words, there will be no HIIT. You will be sprinting the entire 8 min 30 sec. This will NOT be easy. that goes to say for the rest of the workout too.
-usually people who try to get into the SEALS training are already in notable shape to begin with. 80% of people who enter training do not complete it.
-This program has scarcely any rests integrated into it.
I suggest getting into shape first, then trying this. This method is used by the Navy SEALS, so don't go into it thinking you can make headway when you're a slob.
But I must thank you. I plan to join the Air Force Para-Rescue at some point, and this information will help me prepare a lot.
