Chest Flies Anonymous
I have been doing chest flies for the last 2 months or so, and they are honestly one of the toughest work outs I ave done.

Currently, I can only do 25lbs in both hands when doing 5x5, and it's, again, one of the hardest exercises I do.

What do the rest of you do on your chest flies?
>> Anonymous
Like, 8 reps of 15lbs I think. It's pretty tough.
>> Anonymous
8 - 12 with 50s
>> Anonymous
Chest flies are seriously hardcore. Try cutting the amount of weight in half and try to get about 200 reps in one workout.

Fuck I hate this place.

lol @ flies being hard.

they are foofy isolation shit at the end of a workout

You're not doing it right.

im the one doing 8 - 12 with 50s, going slow and controlled and keeping tension at all times.

try weighted dips

same poster, im using 35s in my room right now doing like 30 reps a set

You're stronger than I am, then. But, would you agree that they are much harder than a military press?

Secondly, yea dips are terrible, but gratifying; I do 25lb weighted dips for 3 sets of 20-25. The last rep of my last set is insane, takes like 10 seconds of the most holyfuck-intense exertion of that split.

not a chance, military press is way harder. you have to hold your body upright and tight, squeeze your abs all that shit. flies you just lay down and let'er rip.

you are just putting more effort into flies because you are comfortable with them

i do more incline flies than regular, i do them right after benching so the pecs are still warm, and i do 4 sets of 10 reps and am currently using 37.5 lbs, but i expect to up it to 40 tomorrow.

flies are harder for me than bench presses.

the real question:

why is OP using a strength training protocol to do a fag bodybuilding exercise?
>> Anonymous
Flies are stupid cosmetic isolation exercises for bodybuilding gaywads.
>> Anonymous
>>138871
Because 5x5 is honestly better than 3 sets of 12 reps of 20lb.

Samefag who has never done flies.

More compound exercises are honestly better than fagcersise.

There's nothing wrong with mixing isolations into a strength training regimen. The problem lies in relying on isolations.

I don't work out to be strong, I am solidified in my masculinity to the point where that doesn't matter, what I care about is aesthetics.
>> Anonymous
>>138892

there's plenty wrong with it, unless it's being done with very specific purposes in mind. which I doubt is the case here. OP needs to do more squats.

This post wins an internet for making my point for me.

Oh, I will look seriously fab.

Honestly though, what is with you niggers. Why are you so concerned with becoming stronger? All I can imagine is that it is filling some sort of void which you cannot fulfill otherwise.

Personally, my life is centralized around my education and career (in a world top 10 university); though, working out is extremely important, I am more concerned with that which comes from working out aesthetically, and the cardiovascular health benefits from cardio.

Is this really too much for you meatheads to understand; or should everyone become obsessed with becoming yoked out of their fucking minds to the point where one's muscles prevent them from buttoning their shirt or scratching their back?

Not the guy you're quoting, but I don't see what the fuck you're talking about. Is it "one's" you're getting bent out of shape about? "One's" is the appropriate usage in that context (possessive) http://www.informatics.sussex.ac.uk/department/docs/punctuation/node22.html (you'll have to use test search, it's near the bottom).
