Alright, I'm being extremely basic here. But...

ITT: Opinions on the best ways of losing weight for a teenager who's 15, 6'0 and over 300lbs.

Fix your diet first off. No sodas, candy, fried food, ect. Learn to love lean meats and veggies.
Then start doing the elliptical or stationary bike. Cardio will burn the fat. Walking is great but it will kill your knees until you lose some weight.
Now is the time to start losing weight, your age will help you.

Also, eat better. I haven't even thrown exercise into my weight loss plan yet, but because I'm watching what I eat and allow slip ups now and then I've lost 10 pounds in a month or two. It's slow, but it ensures you're not going to gain it back quickly.

Luckily enough. My mother, just today went Health Nazi on the house. Nothing that isnt approved by her is allowed. No red meats anymore either. I'm being optimistic about it. And she says we're going to start walking every night too.

Losing gross amounts of weights isn't too difficult.

Your BMR sets you at 2437 calories per day in order to maintain weight. If you cut down to around 2000 and even just walked briskly for 1/2 hour daily you'd lose a large amount of weight.

Also the basics...
-Drink Water
-Eat as much whole food as possible. Avoid fast food, things that come wrapped/packaged/frozen, anything fried, etc
-Cut out sodas and juices
-Try to limit your sedentary time as much as possible
-Stay away from too much fat, 20% of your total caloric intake should be enough.
-Eat your veggies and eat them first. A salad 15 minutes before a meal will go a long way towards filling you up.
-Try and split your meals into 6 smaller meals rather than 3 large ones.
-Also, I personally recommend starting with light weights.
-Generally, Fish>Poultry>Red Meat & Pork

I'm sure someone will go more in depth, but this should get you started in the right direction.

Hey, OP, I was in your position once.

They like your hair, because it makes you "more like one of the girls". They don't like you for your personality, and the sooner you come to terms with that, the better.

I only have a small amount of advice, but it's strong advice. Do Atkins. And do atkins properly. (Consists of mostly salads with a SOME meat if you do it right)

Also, you are more than likely still participating in gym class. You have no excuse not to exercise.

I lost 75 pounds in 3 months. And that was at 25 yrs of age. You should be able to to it much quicker.

And I guarantee, once you hit a much better weight, one of the first things you will do, is cut your hair. Right now, you are just using it to hide your face, because you are uncomfortable with yourself, and the face is hard to hide behind baggy, oversized clothing.

Don't worry, even thought you are underaged b&, even if you are a troll, no matter...

Dude, I've been in your shoes. I hate to say it, but you are kinda lying to yourself.

Yeah, it looks better, because it's hiding your face. And the loose clothes are comfortable, because they aren't clinging to the body you are trying to hide.

The sooner you realize these things, the easier it will be to get motivated, and the better it will be in the long run.

I used to wear XL all the time, and my hair was halfway down my back at it's longest.

I dropped the weight, and I bought nothing but medium sized clothing, and moved into some smalls. Sure, the clothes clung to my body, but it also revealed some of my definition. And,I cut my hair, because I had no reason to hide my face.

Oh, and don't worry about the confidence. It'll come.

Long and hard road, and there's two things you can do. Stay the way you are and eventually find yourself a girl in the same situation who's monstrous, or diet/excercise etc etc and get yourself someone who at least takes their health into mind.
Find out your BMR, and since it looks like you don't do to much already, just go for at least a 10 minute jog every day for 4-5 days a week,and make them longer as you get better. Swimming also is going to really, really help. Don't skip meals obviously and just snack on healthy stuff, rice cakes, carrots, whatever, just no junk and no pop.

In 100% honesty from someone who isn't a fat ugly slob, it really, really, really doesn't. I used to think long disgusting hair looked good too when I was in high school. Then I realized what a douchebag I looked like and cut it. In fact, a vast majority of my male friends cut their long hair to a shorter, better cut when they graduated highschool, so that they actually look like respectable guys instead of trashy douchbags. If you don't cut it now I can guarantee that you will within 4-5 years time.

Hey OP, I see that you are still here. Which means you are sedentary.

I want you to do me a favor. I want you to do yourself a favor.

Step away from the computer for about 5 minutes, and do 25 crunches. You don't have to sit all the way up, just sit up enough to feel a little burn in your abs.

Once you realize how easy it is to get in a little bit of exercise when you have a few free minutes, you'll realize that getting in an hour a day will be no problem.

here's one thing I did. Keep wearing your baggy clothes around everyone, and if you hang out with them a lot, they're less likely to notice the face weight loss.

Then, go shopping, find something nice and fitted, and show up to school one day, with a nice fashionable haircut, and your new fitted clothes.

I can almost guarantee that you will walk away with at least 5 new female admirers. The rest of your jealous fattie friends will hate you for it, but at the same time, you can give them the advice you followed, and they can use you as motivation.

I kinda wish I was in your position. You can change lives before graduation. You will enjoy life more, if you get it done.

Hey OP, I've done 2 sets of 25 pushups while reading this thread. I also plan on doing like 100 crunches, 4 sets of 25.

I'll get on my bike a little while later. I like to do half hour rides, since my A/C is broken at the moment, and 2 fans in texas don't do very much good.
