A month and a half of solid work, and looking good. 1st successfull new years resolution in my life.

I was going to begin cutting in june for summer, but i got orders to iraq in june out of nowhere.

No idea wtf 5X5 or starting strength is. I went to the gym every day and did 4 sets of 10-8-6-4 reps with increasing weight. Ran once or twice a week, and ate semi well, and took protein supplements daily.

Doing something very similar myself. Are you eating 3 solid meals + protein or 6 smaller ones including the protein shake as one?

I try to do 3 with protein in between, but in the military you're always doing something, so its not so consistent.

But alas you still see gains, and that makes me happy because it's quite hard to eat 5 meals everyday on schedule. As long as you get enough calories and blah blah blah.

I'd say I'm at your starting picture now by the way, did it seem like you'd never get solid pecs? I just can't seem to work mine out enough, even if I feel I blasted them at the end of a workout but anyway

Actually my pecs are one of my sadder muscle groups. They have come the farthest by far. Just alternating every week between bench press and dumbell press.

Good Job! But it annoys me that I've been working out for more than a year and I'm still not what you are on the right side. Losing weight is so much easier than gaining weight (healthy).

Thanks for the words of encouragement, i still got a long way to go. The end goal is to make the one on the left fall in love with me. haha
