I'm a New Balance whore (because I have wide feet).

Probably not gonna buy new gym shoes till summer though; my current gym pair has basically been "new" for 2 years since I only use it when I weightlift or run on the treadmill.

Oops, OP, looks like I got a couple miles on ya. I wish I was neutral.

Why not the 873? Very cushioned for such a low shoe. I enjoy New Balance, but I am not a fan of the N-Locks.

As for the 1350...meh. Enjoy your gimmick shoe.

what's even better is that you have a decent screen and keyboard!

op here,
just did an early AM run in the 826s. I planed my run so that i could stop at 5 miles if they gave me trouble, I was able to keep going for a second lap. For a ~10oz shoe they feel amazing. Only real worry now is the durability looking at the super light sole going into a suicidal speed workout summer.

Why not the 873?

I have 873s right now, been using them as all around trainers. They are great trail/path shoes. I just wanted something lighter, more agile and more aggressive for dedicated muddy atv/bike trail use. Came down to the 800s or 790s, my feet really liked the n-lock on the 800s.

As for the 1350...meh. Enjoy your gimmick shoe.

But the shinny silver and red makes will make me run faster : ) They only cost me $110. Hopefully they don't suck/fall apart. They were a total impulse buy, but they are quite comfy.

I'm much more jealous of your infinity than his 1350's. Those are garbage. New balance's high end shoes are all gimmicks, if you want something up there get some mizuno creations or a saucony triumph

since there seem to be so many shoefags around now, can any of you suggest something good in a work boot? i did some landscaping last summer and my shitty boots RAPED my feet, the arch of my feet hurt 2 months after i stopped working. i could probably get by with sneakers of some kind but something thats not shit the bed and fall apart or get my feet soaked if the grass is wet

theres gore-tex running shoes that are really nice, depending on what you are doing. I know nike makes some nice ones, the air structure triax gore-tex . Its waterproof, the upper is durable, but overall it won't be nearly as durable as an actual boot.

For boots, thats pretty much personal preference. Theres lots of good brands out there, I prefer wolverine, but theres timberlands, rockies, and so much more out there, Just go try a bunch on and see what fits best. After you do that, get a nice insole because work boots typically have no cush in em.

The only way to win a marathon is to not run.
