Hey /fit/..

I just got some blood work back from the doctors and my Bilirubin levels were at 1.0, as where the norm for an adult should be no higher than 0.5 and I'm a little freaked out. I was wondering if any of you /fit/ nuts knew a little more about high Bilirubin levels and what might be in store for me..

lrn2wiki you dumbfuck

"Bilirubin is an excretion product, and the body does not control levels. Bilirubin levels reflect the balance between production and excretion. Thus, there is no "normal" level of bilirubin."

Recieved the blood work via email dumb shit and my doctor isnt in until next week, vacation time. Think I would ask on 4chan if I could of easily got a real medical opinion? Think before you speak cunt.

Wondering if anyone else has ever had similar conditions and what they possibly could have been.

My normal bilirubin levels are a little high.

Some people (1 in 20 to 30, guys mostly) have lower level of an enzyme and end up with higher blood bilirubin. If you're paying attention, you might notice your eyes yellow a little bit if you've been drinking a lot -- way faster than it would happen to most people. This is because your liver has to work harder to get dead blood cell bits out of your blood and into your bile.

Anecdotally, people with this condition may feel low energy unless they have extra protein in their diets.

Not really something to worry about unless you have other health issues though. Just take care of your liver.
