The food pyramid is inherently flawed. They don't make any distinction between good and bad carbs. A piece of wonderbread is listed as the same value as a piece of high fiber/protein multigrain bread. All fats are also considered equal when they are clearly not. Good fats, like organic olive oil, flak seeds, fish oil ect are not the same as just easting a cookie or piece of cake as the good fats are a key part of boosting your metabolism and keeping you in shape where as eating cookies doesnt do shit. Also, beans are listed with meat... lolwut? Beans have no place with meats, as although they do give you a decent amount of protein, they also contain a lot of other vital staples of your diet that meats lack and thus can be eaten even if you already had your full protein intake for the day.
Also this whole chart is absurd as everyone needs different calorie intakes depending on their genetics and lifestyles (I mean if you are a body builder or a runner as opposed to just an average joe, i am not making concessions for fat asses)
tl;dr All you need to eat is cookies
