Help, HELP

Okay so maybe it's a little late and I should save the decision-making for business hours, but it's too late for that. I've added "lose 50 lbs in 2 months" to my 43 Things (it's a bullshit self-motivation website), and to make sure I knew I was serious, I've decided to delete ALL my mp3s if I don't lose that weight by the 4th of June. So, obviously, I need yer helps.

First of all, how much is 50 lbs? I have no idea. I'm currently overweight, most of it beer belly, probably weigh in the ballpark of 230. Haven't done any serious physical exercise since before Christmas. Need to lose all that weight before June. I repeat, help! Where the hell do I start? How much weight do I need to lose per week in order to make the target?

Secondly, and bearing in mind that this is probably TOTALLY hypothetical, how fit would one have to be to hypothetically ride a skateboard down the length of Britain, from John'O'Groats to Land's End? That's over 900 miles of pure pushin', yo.
