I play DDR as a supplement to my cardio (as in, when it's raining or really hot outside)
At my weight (150) I burn about 15-40 calories per song. These are intense, 7 foot + songs, mind you.
After 45 minutes I can rack up 400-600 calories. Not too shabby, though I wouldn't want to play DDR every day. One other thing, all that hopping around will build up your core strength, which is very important
