When trying to gain it's important to see what your calorie intake was before you started trying to gain to see what it should be. For me I was getting around 3,000 calories a day (I was 6'2 150) Now that I'm trying to bulk I'm getting around 7-8,000 (6'2 170) But this is after around 2 years of hard lifting and dedicated training for a sport.
