My normal workout plan is Medium resistance Monday, light resistance Wednesday, and heavy resistance Friday with the weekend to recover. Im not trying to be a bodybuilder or anything like that, I just want to get stronger.

Would I be making better use of my time if I replaced the light Wednesday with an hour of swimming laps? I've heard people have great results with swimming but I dont know how much to do or even if this is true. In return, Freddy Mercury.

Christ its like a broken record. How hard do you people think it is to gain muscle?? Oops I did a pushup and gained 50 pounds of muscle.

tl;dr you want to be strong, lift heavy EVERY workout.
