hey /fit/, my workout routine currently looks like this
day 1: chest/triceps
day 2: rest
day 3: back/biceps
day 4: rest
day 5: SQUATZ/shoulders
day 6: rest

When should I do abs? Sometimes I just tack them on to the end of a random workout but I think i'll work them better if I have a better of when im going to do them.

I would say yes.

And OP, you could do what I do, just throw in about 10-15 minutes of ab work at the end of every work out. i.e. twisting situps, decline situps etc.

If on day 3 you do a lower back exercise, like back extensions, you could throw them in there also. Poor example, I do back extensions holding a 35lb weight to my chest, and in between each extension set, do the same motion but twisting to one side as you raise up, this will work obliques and the outside of your abs if i'm not mistaken.

the logic behind what im doing now is that chest/tri is pushing, while back/bi is pulling. shoulders I added to my leg day because it usually ended up being my shortest workout.

Abs should act as a stabilizer for the majority of your lifts, if you want to target them specifically, do overhead squats.
