er PEANUT butter, not butter

why do you eat so much peanut butter anyways?
Oil is oil, so don't eat too much. I know nut oils are healthy and all, but peanut butter still has shitloads of sugar and salt added.

its a serving of PB....so what? it has protein and and alot of calories. are you trying to lose weight? if that, then u dont eat it. are u maintaining? then count your calories and see if you can fit it in your diet.

only if you get the shit peanut butter.

REAL peanut butter, ie: Peanuts and salt only, is great for you. If you're eating that hydrogenated oil filled, sugar added, HFCS stuffed crap you fucking fail.

The amount of sugars added is minimal in the case of regular JIF, etc. There are about 2 extra grams of sugars on top of the normal 6 grams of carbs, plus the usual 16g of fat and 8g of protein. Not bad.

That said, natural is just plain better tasting, IMO.

Oh, and I am on a diet and just ate PB. It was within my calorie limits...However, PB is mostly fat, and fats shouldn't be mixed with large amounts of carbs, because carbs spike insulin and cause fat storage rather than fat burn.

Breakfast to noon and all post-workouts should be carbs+protein, while afternoon to night should be fat+protein, according to Berardi. For me, it's basically night-time, so I'm eating fats+protein.

i hate how everyone assumes if you're talking about peanut butter it must be Jiffy or Skippy or whatever poison-loaded peanutty bastardization they've got for sale. i have the stuff where you have to manually mix in the oil.

Me too, I think mine is holsum 'old fashioned' but I'd have to check. It comes with the oil seperated out on top too, I get the chunky kind. I like looking on the back and seeing 'Ingrediants: Peanuts, Salt'

Even without the oil, how do they get the peanuts to the damp paste state to mix it? Never seen any seperated with manually mixing the oil in the UK.

i have; it was called Whole Nut and it was organic and save the earth and all that shit. but it tasted really nutty and there was a proper pool of oil which you had to mix in every time.. i think it was Happy Shopper brand (lol) but i'm not sure. some random brand; anyway, you can get the good stuff here, look around
