Awesome, now how good are you without a simple machine designed to make physical labor much less strenuous?

You've just proven that you know little about exercise. A complex action like bicycling works a wider variety of muscles than a simple action like running. Perhaps bicycling is less "strenuous" than running, but it affects more muscles, so it's more efficient.

Also, the general consensus is that strenuous, high-impact exercises are very bad, so running is more likely to result in negative gains (loses).

Yeah? Well I ride my car 80 miles a day with only six stops in my city.

But we're both total badasses... relying on vehicles and all then bragging about it on the internet.

wikipedia is a horrible source. with proper form, shoes, recovery time, warm up and stretching, running is one of the best exercises you can do.

it's just like squatz, it's bad.........if you don't use proper form, warm up etc.

find a better argument against running.

I'll bet it's all flat ground with no stops, pussy.

I rode 25 miles in an hour and a half (with traffic signals), which is an accomplishment to me because I'm more the anaerobic type.

And yet bicycling is already one of the best exercises you can do without needing to go through all of those things. All you need a sense of balance, and most of us have had enough of one needed to ride a bike since we were kids.

Next.
