let's talk joints.

for the past 2 years or so, my knees have ached a little bit when i run, or when i bend my legs. i think it's because when i was a little bit younger (3-4 years ago) i went from being super fit and a hardcore footballer (soccer) to 6-8 hours a day on the computer with my legs bent. i could be totally wrong, though.

anyway, i've been taking cod liver oil for the past 2 weeks. it seems like it really helps, and i dont have the problem so much. what else can i take to help my knees? also, when i roll my shoulder in the joint (move my arm 360 degrees clockwise/anti") i can sometimes here some sort of grinding sound. is that normal? it doesn't always happen, it is quiet, and it sort of reminds me of when you click your fingers in that it doesnt sound damaging.

last one: i've been clicking my wrists a lot since a few years ago, is this bad? bending it back/forward so that it clicks, rotating it in its socket to make it click .. that sort of thing. is this bad? what damage can it do?

thanks /fit/.

in return, a recommendation. chris ryan's SAS fitness guide, or the SAS: fighting fit book. both really good.

clicking joints doesn't do anything. Also for your knees, eat alot of oily fish (such as sardines, anchoves *i think*). for your shoulder, if your that worried about it, see a doctor.

chiropractic doctor.

that's what they do, they fix joints. might not get perfect, but most definitely will help. my own experience is I never felt so good since I injured my lower back (supposed to be "permanent", my ass) and other injured parts of my body, years ago. They lingered for years, and been "cured" in a few brief (~15 min) visits.
