Well hi there, /fit/.

For one month now I've stuck to a 1800 calories per day diet, which at times hasn't exactly been a healthy diet, but it's been an 1800 calorie diet none the less, and 1 hour of cardio (stationary bike), both 6 days per week. I have 1 cheat day where I will eat some fast food, etc each week. I was 303Ibs, but since then, one month ago, I have lost 14Ibs.

Is this good, /fit/?

Or should I make changes?

keep doing what you're doing. 14lbs is great for a month. Doing it slow like this will help you not have as much excess skin.

If I get down to 250Ibs, and find even while eating under my supposed maintenance level in calories I can't lose anymore weight because my metabolism is fucked, I would be pretty pissed.

To what extent is that true though, and how likely is that?

if you have plateau'd another way to break through is to not work out for a while. usually a week would do. just continue to eat healthy and then hit it hard when u get back.

I went from 310lb to 230lb from Feb/March - September. Plateau's can suck, either break through it by dropping carbs and increasing intensity or like i did get a leg injury putting you off your game for a month or two then resume.

For the first 6 months in the progress pic i was doing it HARDCORE BRAH. I was using elliptical around 5-7 times a week, eating around 50P/25C/25F approx. I just stuck with around 1600 calories a day, and it mostly constituted of alot of protein eating 5 times a day. I eventually dropped my carbs over the final few months to avoid plateau's to around 70g a day max. Around 4/5 months in i got into weights more and mixed it up to alternate days of:

A) Weights finishing with 20 mins cardio
B) Long session of cardio

I'd like to point out that anyone that says doing 45-60 mins of cardio will cause muscle loss is a fag and should gtfo.

Unfortunately due to either overtraining and bad form on squats or a combination of both i suffered a massive leg injury for a few months. I tore tendons in my knee and it kept getting worse when i tried to go back to cardio until the point where i couldn't walk for nearly a week.

It's healed up now and i'm getting back to outdoor running and weights (carefully on the squats lol).

Ignore people talking about HIIT, they are also fags and have no idea what it is. Just go running and enjoy it, throw in some sprinting to push your body further than you thought you could and enjoy the adrenaline rush.

do you like fast food because it is fast or because it is tasty? I don't think it is tasty at all. You should make a pound and a half of grilled chicken breast and then stick two of them in plastic bags and eat slowly over the course of the day........EAT MORE FUCKING CHICKEN PEOPLE! oh and if you really really must have fast food go to chic-fil-a and get the 12 piece nuggets and thats it no fries nothing just 12 pieces of tasty fried chicken(it actually isn't that bad for you)

They deep fry it in oil and its covered in breadcrumbs/batter. If you pick that off and squeeze the oil out of the chicken on a napkin its not that bad as opposed to eating it as it comes.
