when doing squats and deadlifts, yes
People say 'lol dont use balts' because they say you compromise form, you become dependent, etc. In my experience this is all bullcrap. I mean, look at the pros. They all use belts. But then again, they wear belts all the time in the gym, so maybe that's not a good example. But still, for the heavier lifts, when dealing with a fuckton of weight, I'd say go use a belt. When you're squatting 400+ it fucking helps.
