Quick question!
If I were to do about 40+ sit ups a night, how long would it take before I start seeing abdominal results and start to increase the amount of sit ups needed to created a general six pack?

More than a few months.

Also do more SQUATZ

Yeah I know, but I'm just trying to start out basic here.
Got to start somewhere.

Umm guess what you've already got abs they're just hidden under the layer of fat.

-Lost the fat
-Do exercises that building the muscles, crunches, leg raises, pushups etc

Actually no, I'm quite skinny. 6'2" - 6'3"'ish. I just feel my body type could be better, more muscular instead of slim. So I felt the need to start some moderate excerise instead of everyday stuff.

Oh yeah? Pushups for abs. That's like putting squat in on chest day (It's pretty tough on your pecs holding that bar there)

Deadlift, squat and overhead squat will build the most ab muscle.

There's almost 2 different type of abs:

Cut abs: The kind you get from being low bodyfat% and having some muscle. This is the kind of abs 99.9% of really fit looking guys have, they're asthetic and the good ones have the squatters depth, where they look carved right in.

Fuckin incredible abs: This is specifically the lower weight classes of the olympic lifters who seem to get it, overhead squats, snatch catches, jerks etc are gun as for these. They almost stick out from the rib cage they're that powerfull.

that's pretty serious abs right there. my squat and deadlift are decent but when I tried to do overhead squats I was like lol what.

I understand that and reason why I was including them in the end...

If you look at the third post OP says he's looking for basic stuff to start out. if he wants to do more later then weight training comes into play. but right now HE DOESN'T WANT THAT.

Lol, I really don't care what the original post is anymore. It's sixpack abs, im fat wtf, P90x, or look at my cock threads.

I forgot what it's called but you can try a press when you're in a full squat. That shit is more impressive than it looks. I would NOT recommend a barbell for that shit though or heavy weight.

na i will stick to overhead squats. i can manage ligther weights, it's just I tend to do a lot of normal squats and never have the energy left to do overheads.

explain these so called snatch catches and other complex movements that target the abs?

I can do all kinds of crazy sick ab excersises and I've definitely hit a plateau. any input would be great.

I find it hard to believe deadlifts and squats build more abdominal muscle than weighted sit ups and etc...

well, some would say that with weighted situps most of the work is being done by the psoras.

to dead lift or squat heavy the core is heavily recruited to stabilise.

snatch catch is officially the dirtiest sounding exercise ever.
