Okay /fit/. This is really beginning to piss me off and worry me at the same time. About 4 weeks ago, the "side" of my left forearm really started to hurt (circled in red in picture). I went to see a doctor to get an X-ray, absolutely normal. Over the course of 4 weeks, I'll admit that the pain has gone down (if 4 weeks ago was 100% pain, right now it's about 10% pain). However, the pain is such where its still keeping me from lifting (and possibly worsening the pain as well). Does anyone know what's wrong w/ me? I massage it everyday as well as ice-pack it. I really doubt its a bone problem, as it wasn't picked up by the X-ray, but I don't know if its a muscle problem either. The doctor suggests I see a physical therapist, but I'm a student and don't have time. The pain is very sharp (like someone's prodding at it with a blunt object). Please fit, tell me what's wrong. Pic related.
I used to have the same thing in the same spot, it was probably because I overworked myself in the gym. It went away with time, but it wasn't nearly as painful as you describe it so I don't know.
Yes, I gotta admit, out of my own stupidity I never properly rested, but I haven't lifted in a month. The pain is going away, but I feel like a month is a lot. How long did it take for your pain to go away?
>>387489A couple of months I think, but again it wasn't nearly as painful as you describe it so I had it easier.
Dude, what did you do in that time? Just stop lifting and do cardio? Man.. I'm willing to wait a few months but I'm pretty bummed... thanks though for the comments.
I've got it as well. Kind of sucks because I just got motivated to eat right and work out regularly. Not gonna lift any dumbbells for another couple of weeks. Can only feel it hurt when I turn my arm so my palm is facing me. If I try to grip then it feels fine, but as soon as I relax the grip I feel it hurt. Just gonna swim and bench for the next couple of weeks.
Dude, what you said EXACTLY describes my situation, I'm glad I'm not alone in this! Thx for the comments /fit/. Yea, I've been just pretty much doing cardio, I'm also trying to lose weight, and it sucks I can't lift.
This is what happens when you do curls.
