Hi /fit/ness gurus.
I've finally had it with my weight and my acne.
I'm 185 pounds and 5'9. My face doesnt really have that many pimples, but its always REALLY red. Could I get some advice please?
Like I don't expect to besome massive beefcake, with perfect skin, but to look average would be nice.
For the weight thing I plan to completely cut out junk food, ( I currently consume around 1500 calories a day just from chips / pop / candy), and I'm giving acne medication one last go.. But what are some things that could really give this a jump-start? I appreciate it.
Picture unrelated, because throwing up sucks and I like not having bad teeth.

i had some pretty persistent acne that i had through most of high school and it went away in a month when i stopped eating junk and drinking sodas and started drinking plenty of water

Every since I cut the shit out of my diet (chips, soda, fatty foods, anything my parents try to feed me, etc), my skin has improved noticeably. I get complimented on it often.

Also I use a few products: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, moisturizer

Aside from the skin benefits, I've lost a lot of weight with only a little exercise (walking.. once a day for like 45m/hr in the woods).

So go for it. You'll feel better and the food that is good for you will start to taste good.

Same thing happened to me once I quit drinking soda.

Another testifier. When I lived in Florida I quit drinking soda and drank water all day from being outside a lot. A combination of those two plus at least some exertion and diet change did wonders.
