Building muscles while losing fat.

I heard that muscles sped your metabolism here, is this true?

If so, do I lift hard, eat "good carbs", protein, veggies, HIIT and im doing it right? Muscle 1+ fat 1-

I also heard I needed some fat for muscles, how many grams daily?

You'll get as much fat as you need from eating some good lean meat like chicken.

The theory is that muscles burn more calories than fat, so by working your muscles and doing HIIT if you eat a reasonable amount you should lose fat, but you might nont see huge muscle gains.

The basic muscle gain formula goes like this:

-Eat your weight x 18 in kcal daily.
-Approx. 30% of those calories should be from fat.
-Eat your weight in grams of protein daily.
-Try to stay with whole foods, nothing processed.
-To lose weight, subtract around 500 kcal from your daily calorie goal and adjust from there.
