note why people like dark pictures - total difference. Dark pic looks like "Great abs" where as normal conditions look like "ok."

Yes. You can do them hanging, laying or whatever.

Keep your back down and lift your legs, instead of the opposite. I've been having good results lying on a bench with legs over the end hyperextending my midsection.

actually my abs are way more like pic a. its just that the flash is too strong in b. and makes all surfaces look even its typical flash effects..anyway any help on the subject other than the floor sweepers which i had kinda thought of by myself but thought i should ask someone first?

Reps and sets: How many?
>> Anonymous
>>37427
I'd say no. The point of doing them from a bench-press position is that you're isolating the lower abdomen by letting it be the only available muscle to raise the lower body. When you're hanging, you still have the back and swinging force instead of just the abdomen working.

Op here thanks for the advise. Um do i have to have the weights necessarily cause my trainer doesnt really let me do too many weights says i can still grow..
>> Anonymous
>>38046
then your trainer is a dick. doing weights won't hinder your growth, it will actually accelerate it due to the fact that doing (heavy) weights releases shit load of growth hormones.

Wrong, there have been studies that show excessive musculuar growth can hinder bone growth, but studies are iffy and it's only an issue with teenagers SERIOUSLY training. Like, body builder training. ...obviously humans had to fucking excercise and get bufff in past to survive so I have my own doubts about these studies, but perhaps since our work out methods have gotten more and more advanced it might actually mess something up

There are no middle abs. The abs are one muscle. There are also no upper or lower abs.
Thank you.

Those are seriously the dumbest fucking thing you could do. What is all the weight resting on? your spine. and that are you twisting? your spine.
>> Anonymous
>>38060
Well he told me that too much weight training makes the bones growth focus on widening and thickening instead of lengthening due to the pressure on them. Sounds fairly logical..
>>38070
ok then the "middle region" of my abs

Bone growth and muscular growth are completely different processes. Lifting weights WILL NOT stunt your growth unless you break a growth plate in half, which is unlikely.

STFU GTFO

I grew from 5ft11 to 6ft2 all the while lifting weights, don't talk out of your ass.

Is 4 sets of 30 floor sweepers ok?
