...meh... too many pushups will give you a hunchback...

I started on sunday. Let's hope it works, I got 3 on my initial test

wow...i'd imagine it's because of your shitty form, or your ogre posture. It sure as hell won't give you a hunchback if done properly.
>> Anonymous
It has a picture of a woman doing push-ups on its front page, therefore it is not manly. I slam iron around and listen to it clank manfully.

the other guy is right. you're doing it wrong. dipshit.

I started monday, just did day two. I got 9 on my initial test. I'm also gonna take pics after each week. If I like my results, I'll post all the pics.

Can pushups really make a big difference to your upper body physique if you do enough of them? Obviously your not gonna gain muscle like when doing heavy resistance training but for lean gains are they worth it?
>> Anonymous
i didn't personally get the hunchback...i read it in men's health. the reasons why just doing pushups and situps is not a good workout...
>> Anonymous
I can already do 30 elevated push-ups in a row, so I don't know if this will really help much, though I should try this with elevated push-ups

And do you just go three days in a row or take a break and go every other day?

my max is only 15 :S
i put my hands moore outside, so i train my back :O

is this some kind of weird new pushup? because i can do probably 50 or 60 pushups in one set (if that's the only set i'm doing).
>> Anonymous
I suck at pushups : (
>> faggot !kzxLmJyzX.

>>246416

No, there's just a lot of weak faggots here.
>> Anonymous
>>246416

nah, it's a normal one ( providing you did the normal one in the proper posture)
>> Anonymous
Just started this, working it into my routine.
Is there likely to be any negative effect of doing this daily instead of having rest days in between?
>> Anonymous
>>246491
I don't know about negative effects, but diminishing returns probably.

if 100 is shitty for you, maybe try to work up to this

>>246512
Oh no, 100 is in no way shitty for me, I'm 10 pushups on the initial test. I just have a lot of time on my hands.

Push ups are one of the basic and most common exercises for the human body. Push ups are not only great for your chest, but do a tremendous job of defining your abs, triceps, shoulders and torso.
straight from the site, learn to not be lazy and read a bit

I'm gonna try this on Monday.

Remember guys, do proper pushups (all the way down, all the way up) and hold the position for a second.

No pussying out, this is for your own good.
>> Anonymous
>>246491
not really, if it genuinely hurts, use your brain and take some rest, other than that no. but know that real rest is needed for your muscles to grow. like over night rest, if you plan on doing push ups non stop or something of that sort

I think the trick to this workout routine is that at the end of all the weeks it says something along the lines of "if you've had trouble with this week, do it again." If you're being honest with yourself most people will have to repeat weeks, so it'll actually take longer than the 6 weeks advertised. Most people will be dishonest with themselves and move onto the next week even though they can't get through the week doing good form pushups. Remember:
1) No bending your back
2) work through the whole motion slowly (no 'exploding' to the top, then dropping your body to the floor).

initial test.

I thought the first two weeks were easy, then all of a sudden there's a big jump in week 3 and I failed in the second set of day 1.

I'm going to try it again, but that was a big kick in the nuts and got me thinking that perhaps he just pulled the numbers out of his ass.
>> Anonymous
Just did 40 on my initial test, now I'll try elevated ones
>> Anonymous
I just started this week and did 30 initial test, so this first week is ridiculously easy. It seems kind of sketchy, what with the 'go back and repeat a week' and the sudden 12 rep jumps in the later weeks.
But it seems like a good goal for people. It lays it all out and sometimes all people need are a plan and/or direction. I would just recommend that people stick with a cardio and weight training plan in conjunction. This alone is not going to get you ripped.
