sometimes it takes a bit for your body to react and change to the new routine. When you drop weight you will do it drastically.

I was weight lifting and eating a ton. I was 145 for literally a month and then suddenly started gaining like crazy.

Agreed. Weight and body size charts are shit, get your body fat % measured if you want to see the progress you're making.

Your diet probably hasn't changed to the healthy degree that is necessary. Anyway, give it time buddy.

Here is an estimator which will give you a ballpark figure:

But if you want to get really accurate results, get a caliper and test your skinfolds or if you have some cash to blow there are electronic hand grips and scales which will tell you.

Good job, keep it up.

I read somewhere you have to stick with something for about 3 weeks before the body gets used to it and the routine starts taking effect

Eat more green vegetables, healthy protein is very important, and whole grains to feel fuller. If your body thinks you're randomly starving it, you aren't going to lose weight as successfully.

1kg is pretty good for 2 weeks. It's like 1 pound a week, in a year you'd have lost 50 pounds.

Also, I think the machine you're using is an elliptical, lulz. Google it for pictures.

You're not doing to bad, but you might want to increase the intensity a bit.

Don't expect to loose a lot too quickly. Only the extremely obese, i.e. > 325lbs @ your height, can get away with losing 5kg/week. Then after a few weeks, they start loosing a LOT less, then get discouraged and give up.

Trust me. I work with those people.
