How about doing the DDR for fun and then doing a fucking workout. I get laid, but I don't call that my workout. And depending on how lazy I am, it actually burns a few calories. The DDR isn't going to replace lifting weights. It replaces a 20 minute walk in the fecking park

each song is approx. 1:30 long, and the higher difficulties its basically the exact same fucking thing as a full-on sprint.

so you numbnuts that haven't played the damn game, go outside right now, with a stopwatch, and fucking full-bore sprint for a full 1:30, no stopping. THATS DDR at 8-10 level difficulty songs.

Hey op: Effective.

any intense cardio is effective. it doesnt matter that its a videogame or anything else. I've personally dropped 20 lbs thanks to playing it regularly at the higher difficulty levels.

Just dont use it as an excuse to shove fries and burgers down your face due to "omg im ddr-ing like a mofo now, I can afford it!"

Eat RIGHT, and play this game if you find no other cardio entertaining enough (running bores my mind so much, so DDR is a great alternative for me)

cardio is great for keeping yourself from becoming a sludgepile, but you're right wont build any muscle.

He's just offering some advice, and that's what we're here for. I'm a skinnyfag but lately I've started doing weight training and to be honest I wish that I had started years ago. I feel better and have more energy. Plus, with a bit of muscle you won't have to worry about so much cardio because you'll use up more calories when you are inactive.

TL;DR building muscle doesn't mean you have to be as big as Ronnie Coleman; think of it as a way to insure that you don't lose strength from doing too much cardio.

My point was...and still is...DDR is fun, something you enjoy doing. It even burns calories. After you finish with that...GO FUCKING WORK OUT
