Hello /fit/tor.
I'm currently on a diet which apparently tends to be very low on fat. In which horrible way will I die?

Your nerves will stop working from lack of fat.

PARALYSIS!

Out of curiosity, how low is "very low"? What percentage of your caloric intake is coming from fat?

Your body needs fat to work properly, try healthy fats from nuts and seeds.

You will be kidnapped by cannibals, where they will put you in a cage and fatten you with Mc. Donalds grease galore. And you shall be raped and eaten.

I'm using a program to keep track of what I eat and it seems to hide specifics, so unless I totally suck at math it should be around 11%.

11% is better than nothing, its even better if you increase it to 15%-20%, try healthy unsaturated fats

More or less this. 20% is a nice solid number to aim for.

Just get some fish oil gel capsules and down their recommended dosage every day. Theoretically, that should take care of your fat consumption.

Dont take supplements, they are expensive and useless go for organic real alternatives.

You should eat a diet with 20% to 30% of good fat in it. That means fatty fish (salmon, halibut), olive oil, avacados, and other good shit like that.

The bigger thing is moderating portion size. A decent amount of water intake will help you control your eating because a lot of people eat when they're really just thirsty. So drink glass or two of water before a meal (and during the meal as well). Finally, fats also help you feel full. You could eat a can of tuna a piece of fruit and still be hungry, but if you eat the small tuna steak drizzled with a little olive oil, you'll feel more full (at least, I do).

Nuts and seeds sounds very reasonable. I'll try sunflower seeds, seems to be loads of good fat and not much else in those.

Anonymous is grateful!
