I just started cardio and fitness generally.

By the fifth day I ran at a pace of 8 m/h with short sprints mixed in, for 20 minutes.

Is this good progress?

To know progress we have to know where you started.
Maybe your questions should be 'Is this a good start?'

Running is an amazing thing. Way back in the day when I went to jROTC camp I ran the mile at 8:50 the first day (I know, kinda shitty). But after just 6 days I was able to run a mile in 6:40 or so (I can't remember exactly).

But, yeah. That's pretty good. Keep it up.
