The last row... Anonymous
Fuck, /fit/- I've been doing abdominal exercises for a while, but I just can't get that last row. It's really starting to piss me off. So, what should I do, /fit/? I'm 160 and about 10% body fat...but that last fucking row...is it that my abs aren't developed enough, or do I just need to drop some weight? Pic is somewhat old but will suffice considering the ab area hasn't changed too much.

I do plenty of cardio, but I'll try some squats and dead lifts.

The reason I say squats, and dead lifts is because you have to use a tremendous amount of abdominal strength to stabilize the weight on the way up and down. For squats try overhead squats, and for deadlifts I would suggest stiff leg. Remember to keep your mid section tight.

Do you do leg lifts and bicycle crunches? They target that lower ab area.

Protip: Abs are all once muscle. There is no lower or upper abs.

Do weighted crunched faggot. Or something else with more resistance.

Build your routine around heavy squats, deadlift, presses, and pulls entirely free weight with some weighted decline sit ups and you will look fit, instead of a regular dude with 4 sort of visible abs.

SQUATZ!!

j/k...Laying leg lifts and hanging leg lifts will work the lower abs. As suggested before, throw in some weight with regular crunches or full sit ups. Start small and work your way up. Also, no more than 50 per set. After that, people lose their focus and start sloppy reps that may cause injury.

I heard it depends on genetics if you have a 4,6,8 or 10-pack. Something about how the tendons cut into the muscle.

It's all genetic, the shape that is.

Squat, deadlift and overhead squat are the best way to build the muscles thicker, to bring them out more.

Looks to me like if you cut the fuck down (We're talking, stage conditioning) you could get the bottom row to be reasonably clear.
