I blame chubbiness on the lack of nutritional education. Anonymous
Of course, I don't blame obesity on this (which is caused by overeating).

But the common foods Americans eat everyday is poor and the common knowledge regarding what food is alright is poor.

Like the average American would think it's healthy to eat bread without butter (because of the bad hype about butter alone being fattening), but the real problem is the consumption of white bread.

Or a common speech would be "Don't eat at McDonalds! Cook your own hamburger at home. It's healthier." When the only way that speech holds water is when you get something like lean ground beef or turkey ground beef to make you a hamburger.

Americans need some better education on food choices. The average person doesn't know eating a big dinner adds a lot of fat to you due to your metabolism being slower and less efficient later in the day, but American tradition has got this happening frequently.

I believe we'd have less chubby people if this happened.

Possibly. If you teach kids young enough those habits usually stick with them. Maybe add it to the grammar school curriculum?

Sumo baby. Awesome.

It doesn't take much to learn anything you wrote, but remember that the average american is stupid. Really stupid. And mean and stubborn and stupid.

So what if they are educated? It's not like americans usually listen to the voice of reason.

Also, the taste issue.

The healthier food tastes worse than the healthy stuff, but I think people would actually give that up if they'd look better more of the time.

The reason I suggest this is because so many people keep going on diets and giving up the food they "love," but I bet if they knew the right foods to eat and which ones should be outlawed, then a most people would give up the unhealthy food.

People think losing weight is "hopeless," but it's not when you know what you should be eating. And I'm not talking about the fad dieting plans.
