diabeetus, seriously you can get it

Excess sodium intake is linked to: hypertension/high blood pressure and heart disease, fluid retention (oedema) and kidney stones. A high-sodium diet increases the need for potassium.

so like how much is too much? i usually get around 100% DV, but today I'm going for 200 easily because I had some delicious Jack Links beef jerky

also a low sodium diet can lead to nerve damage

If you do it everyday it'll lead to those things, but just because you spiked it today it probably won't have any noticable negative effects

damn, how do bodybuilders and stuff stay healthy and not overdose on salt then? sounds hard to do

The threat from salt is over hyped. Just like eggs used to be bad for you, meat was bad for you, then was good, then was bad, soy was good, then was bad, now is good.

Unless you're eating nothing but salted nuts, canned soups, and beef jerky, you probably won't ever have a problem. You body needs sodium, it helps regulate water.

If you're eating home cooked meals and not preserved TV dinners or canned shit, you have nothing to worry about, basically ever, unless you are drinking from the salt shaker.
