Need your help /fit/ Anonymous
I am over weight clearly and I really want to make an effort to become fit. I don't want to loose a little bit of weight, I want to completely change who I am. What is the first step? Obviously I will be changing my eating habits and getting more exercise, but can someone give me a complete rundown with specifics of what I have to do?

Also from my picture can you give me some exercises that would get rid of my moobs and gut?

in before kill yourself, stop eating faggot, etc etc.

Just lurk around /fit/ for a few weeks. This shit comes up every day, we are here to help you out but I'm not typing a reply to the same question every day.

Just lurk around, read threads, and join a gym

What I did, I should .txt this and copy pasta it.

small bowl of real oatmeal (not instant) made with water
1 banana
1 can of tuna
3 slices of rye bread, 1 in between each meal (no added sugars or fat)
a good multivitamin and fish oil

I ate that religiously for 6 months. No snacks, no soda, no sugar no nothing. During that time I went swimming and walking daily.

When I dropped the weight enough I could start running. I slowly build up stamina and dropped weight even faster. When I felt confident enough I bought a gym membership.

I'd normally try and troll you for posting an actual picture of yourself, but I guess I need to start giving out actual advice. You my friend are on a long, hard and painful road. You first need to pickup a decent Diet, at your weight fastfood and soda are now a thing of the past. Fruits and vegetables and water are now your best friend.
Now to being this epic journey you'll need to start out at a slow pace allowing your body to adapt to whats in store, start taking moderately long walks. (try and get a quick jog or two during said walks), start lifting light weights and do some light cardio. As you become more comfortable exerting yourself, increase your walk distances and cardio workout time. Do this for a year (yeah It takes a fuck ton of determination, do you have it?) and you should be looking 100% better.

I'm overweight as well. Same boat as OP...

I do not eat fast food at all. Drink lots of water. Drink the occasional coke zero (zero calories same coke taste, etc). My caloric intake by the time i go to bed in a few hours should be just under 1000.

I spent a while at the gym last night. Not as much as i'd like but right now i can't really do more, and after all the leg work, if I did more, I'd be stuck outside my house, unable to climb the steps to get inside. :D

I haven't had anything sweet in ages.

Point is...its not hard. I eat enough to fill me up, but since i started eating less my stomach has adjusted that it takes less to fill me up. You can still eat good foods, just have to make better choices. Point is, unless its fruit....anything that is quick and easy is probably not good for you.

But when you find a routine and get set, you'll find that you don't drive by a McDonald and stare at it longingly, trying to convince yourself that one burger really won't hurt.

And hey, in the long run, it probably wouldn't hurt...but why waste 700+ calories on a combo meal when you can eat somethnig just as good, healthy and come in around 500

I don't need to eat more. I'm not hungry. I eat plenty. Cereal for breakfast, lunch varies, today it was a salad...and a microwaveable dinner at work that is usually between 400-600 calories....

plus fruit and sugar free pudding for snacks...

i eat plenty...i don't need more....

Warning: eating too few calories will cause your body to instantly convert food into fat as a reaction to starvation.

OP: The absolute best thing you can do is *make a habit out of exercise.* You have to integrate it into your regular routine just like lunch. Since a day never goes by where a guy says, "man, I feel like skipping lunch today. Too much work," the same goes for your exercise routine. It is not an option. It is mandatory.

Advice for a fellow fattie: Besides eating less and moving more you also gotta learn to value sleep. Srsly. Get lots of good, quality, undisturbed, relaxing sleep. Don't stay up just to play WoW, don't stay up to lurk on 4chons, don't stay up to cyber other fat fucks masquerading as 14/f/cali, fuck it, most of the time cramming isn't even a good excuse. Just... sleep.

OP, just give up now.

Someone who has let themself become like that cannot change who they are. It will take you YEARS to get into shape, and fat people just don't have any willpower.

OP, if that's you and you really returned, GOOD JOB. That's the attitude you need to get rid of that disgustingly hideous body.

When changing your lifestyle, don't do it all at once. Chances are, it will discourage you and make you give up. Take small, gradual steps. Changing your diet should be the first. Once that's done, start fitting in cardio and other forms of exercise.
Discipline is also very important. When I feel lazy/unmotivated, I just tell myself "shut the fuck up and train."

Okay, first off I'd try to gradually get into better eating habits: cut down on the meat, eat organic instead of processed, try to dodge fructose corn syrup because it makes you hungry, and eat a healthy amount of fiber + water (you need the water to go with the fiber to poop correctly, plus it helps flush your system -- thanks nutrition class!).

And especially cut out the soda. It's one of the easiest ways to gain weight and it causes a host of other problems.

When it comes to exercise you can never go wrong by walking/jogging with inserts of sprints. I think it's been proven that sprints plus walking is better for you than a constant jog for weight loss, plus it's fun to mix it up.

I mostly know of good eating habits vs exercise since I need to exercise more myself, so sorry I can't help you out more in that area.

Hope this helps! Good luck. Keeping a positive attitude will be your best ally during this time.
