OP here. Well I was thinking of making my chest more defined and try work on my abs.

OP here. ok more to the point. Ive starting doing pushups and crunches. But I feel like I should be doing more.
Basically I'd just like to know what /fit/ thinks is a good daily workout for all the upper body.

I think you have a pretty nice body already. Nice flat stomach and not really fat, so you have a good template.

Building muscles doesnt really work like that.... well it does, but its the least efficient way of doing things, and when youve just busted your ass in the gym for 2 hours you want to know it was worth it right?

Going for isolation exercises to try to hit specific areas like chest of arms or abs or whatever is the worst way to think about this whole "building muscle" thing.

AT THIS POINT ID LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT YES YOU WILL BE BUILDING MUSCLES, BUT BUILDING M USCLE DOESNT MEAN YOU LOOK LIKE RONNIE COLEMAN AFTER A DAY, SO STOP TALKING ANOUT TONE AND SHIT AND USING IT AS AN EXCUSE TO NOT FOLLOW MY ADIViCE.

Right, where was i, oh yes. Your body shape is pretty much already determined, you just dont know it yet, all you can do is put on the mass, see what you end up looking like, then spend the next 10 years on isolation exercises trying to sculpt it. Your not at that point yet.

You need to be doing compound, heavy exercises like squatz, deadlifts, dips, presses, pullups, chins, dips etc etc. Do them heavy, split them over 2-3 days doing like 4 sets of 6-8 reps and eat a lot of food. Pretty simple advice, and regardless of what you wanted to look like, if you do this you'll end up looking much better.

Push-ups, pull-ups, chest flies, bench presses. Don't really need much more than that.

Going for my daily 1hr jog then start on all those workouts.
