Okay /fit/, question time:

I've recently gotten into weight training/strength training, and have been looking to improve my diet to maximize fitness and results. Right now I'm eating pretty healthy and am always full during the day (in addition to a morning and evening protein shake), but I'm still consuming barely maintenance levels.

Example:

Breakfast

Two eggs
Orange juice
Toast
Maybe yogurt

well define "fitness and results" because that should be fine barring goals of massive weight gain or loss. If you just started then you need to stay constant for a while so taht you can monitor how changes affect your body. If you are seeing results you like in 3-4 weeks then stick with it. If you are wasting away, eat more, if you are getting fatter, eat less.

OP here,

Ideally, I'm trying to add muscle. I stand about 5'6'', and dropped from 172 to 159 on cardio and some light weights, but now I'm looking to move more fully to weights for strength training and gaining muscle.
