almost 7 month progress pics

got my bf% taken today at my gym and it said 9.2% lol, the guy was like YOU LEAN BRO and then he said something about how it's usually 1-2% off, but that can't be right

I mean I know none are completely accurate other than doing a tank test thing or spending 1k a hospital or something but shit, I was thinking more like 15%+, I mean I still have some moobs left

It was probably a scale which only measures the BF% in your legs. Even then you need to do it in the morning before taking in anything for correct measure

i've actually been lifting for the past 3-4 months but still been sticking to a caloric deficit with 1g/lb protein of how much i weigh, so as much as I haven't gained muscle i've gained some and my bench/squat/deadlift have all gone up alot

Nice man, I'm at about 7 months too. I don't have a before/after pic ready (probably gonna wait for exactly 7 months) and I've been sick waayyyy too frequently, but I've gone from 272 lbs to 222 lbs at 6'1".

Feels good man, and congrats on your progress fellow /fit/izen. You definitley seem to have done better than me though...

Dunno about the plus part, 163lbs now? I'd imagine he would be at abs and 11%ish BF after dropping a good 5-7ish lbs left

Though the last few are the hardest to go they are the ones that are the biggest changes kinda, getting rid of gut and some extra face fat

i remember using those stupid handheld bf% calculators in my gym last year. said i was 7%. then i went to my doc to get a REAL body composition test and i was at 14.1%.

I'd say your below 15% above 12%. Just gain some more muscle and your body will eventually even itself out. Abs show naturally at around 8%.

Man.. This is like my first goal in a pic.. ok I'm not as bas shaped as op left, but I'm still over weight. Just started running (about 2 weeks ago or so) about 8km every morning, and eating quite healthy (lots of fruits, and lots of "home made" food.. no instant shit). Hoping to get a similar result. When the fat is gone, ill start thinking of shaping myself with muscle gains.

but on the off chance this is a legit post -good job and keep it up. I would think about this "9.2%" as just a number.... nothing concrete. so next time you are shooting for less than 9.2. numbers are numbers.... just check how you feel bro and I am sure you feel good.

no but i did have a few downtimes, pulled groin muscle kept me out for a week+, lasik surgery (they made me not do any exercise for about 10 days), and awesome DOMS

actually i think I did hit some minor plateaus somewhere around month 3 when I was just cycling, but ever since then I've known to just switch it up, from HIIT/tataba sprinting to stationary bike, elliptical, jogging, rowing and just recently ive been swimming like a madman

then when I thought I hit a plateau around month 5 I started a 5 day split which really made all the difference because I started burning fat like crazy then

if I didn't see as much progress as i wanted over a period of a week or two i'd make sure to switch whatever i was doing
