OP
I'm not a fit person, I won't pretend to be extremely muscular, etc. but I'm also not fat... anymore.

I changed my diet (from McDonalds only, no less) and lost a bunch of weight, something like thirty pounds, in three months.

However, I notice that I vary unusually in pounds. One day I will weigh 175 and then I will exercise for a day or two and be down to 170 then go back up again. Is this normal? In fact, can this even happen?

One extreme example of my scale apparently being fucked up was that I ate half of an unhealthy sub earlier and weighed 178 pounds (from about 174 or so that morning), and then I ate the other half, exercised for thirty minutes (at five miles per hour faster than normal on my bike), came back and was about 172.

Scale's new, but obviously gets fucked up. Just an example though, question still remains the same.

Yeah, this is normal. Maybe you're dehydrated, just ate a meal, haven;t eating for a while, etc.

It's not good to check your weight every day, because of the fluctuation

your weight will vary because of the food/water in your body. you'll weigh less when you first wake up (after a good piss) than you will after a day of eating and drinking.

That's always the problem anyway

also don't you think your metabolism is kind of fucked up? try different meals.

I just don't see myself going from 174 to 178 to 172 in one day, so I think the second measurement was fucked up by whatever. Maybe my metabolism is fucked, I dunno. Maybe I should ask my doctor about that shit.

I check it multiple times every day because I'm obsessed with staying slim. OK, so, I'm clearly not SLIM-SLIM... but I am smaller now.

That kind of fluctuation is normal.

Checking it all the time wont do you any good, just relax about it

There are a lot of variables. Food, water, etc.
Eating something with high sodium will most likely cause you to retain more water the next day, for example.
Even something like drinking a small bottle of water will cause over a pound of variation on a scale.

Calm down or you're going to turn into an anorexic/bulimic fucktard, srsly.

I only said that about your metabolism when I read:
>I changed my diet (from McDonalds only, no less)
sudden changes of food changes your digesting performance,so don't fret about being "I WANT TO BE SKINNY AS FAST AS FUCK" because that not works,in fact you'll get worse.

I changed my diet suddenly pretty much one year ago.

I also fret about not drinking water. Instead I drink apple juice exclusively... I couldn't ever get a taste for water. But there are times I will water-binge, so to speak.

then I see no problem because that's normal

I'm a chubby fucker and I even know that doesn't matter as long it has no large quantity of sugar.
Also,I too hate drinking water :p.

I have been bulimic for 4 years. I've always struggled with food and eating normal. Recovering has been such a big step for me, from time to time I fall into relaspe. There was a time when I would just eat so I can purge. I think what sparked bulimia in me was the excessive physical abuse during childhood.
I would wake up in the morning and weight myself, weight before and after eating, then purge, and weight myself before bed.

Scale and double digits ruled everything.
