Okay /fit/. Please tell me what's going on. I recently inputted a day's worth of what I consume in My Diet Analysis program sponsored by MyPyramid (government program I think) for my nutrition class. I'm consuming about 2000 calories. Yet, with the amount of physical activity I do (40 minutes of lifting during, 30-40 minutes of cardio at night), it suggests that I eat around 3300 calories, which equates to a deficit of 1300 calories a day, meaning I should be losing close to 2-3 lbs a week. My goal, however, is to only lose 1 lb a week. HOWEVER, since my weight loss journey began in may, I have ONLY been losing a lb a week (230 to 205 in 25 weeks). WTF is going ON? I don't want to lose more, but I am very accurate and measure everything, yet I am only losing a lb. Is it because I'm lifting that I'm also gaining some muscle weight? Please discuss. It's because you're trying to lose too much, too fast, and your body is counteracting you by holding on to as much stored fat as it can. Eat more dumbass.
Common mistake. Your body is going into starvation mode which burns fat/muscle slower than normal since your body thinks you are fasting. You need to eat more, simple as that.
