Sup /fit/.

I've been desperately wanting to loose some weight lately. I have a passion for dance, and I've been hearing Bellydancing is good for you.

I have back problems (born with it) so I cant do too much exercising, would bellydancing be a good alternative, or are these rumors false?

thanks.

deadlifts, rows and a mix of morphine and ketogan will help your back

What the other guy said about Deads and Rows is true. You might want to start off with that before going into dance stuff, so you can strengthen your back and lessen your chance of injury. If you have medical insurance you should talk to your GP about it (although some of them will tell you that deadlifts are exercise cancer. They are wrong.)

What would be a good starting weight for deadlifts?

Loose weight?

A good starting weight needs to be found. Just ignore anyone else who laughs at you (unlikely) and try various weights until you find one that's hard, but doable.
