If you starve yourself your body tries to maintain nutrition by preventing weight loss. You only lose weight if you starve yourself for a long period of time. One week won't be enough.

OP, I think all you can do is drink fucktons of water, eat lightly, and workout like a motherfucker but don't fuck your shit up. Maybe jog for a few miles each day?

Constant exercise and only eat vegetables / lean protein. 30 miles on a bike will burn around 1 pound of body fat, 3000 kcal.

Lose 5lbs for what? It's not uncommon for wrestlers and combat athletes to cut 5-10lbs in a day to make weight. Of course, it's mostly just waterweight that they'll gain back shortly, but still.

5lbs in 7days? you can lose that in water by not eating/drinking anything the day and night before the weigh in

You might have to spend a bit of time in a sauna or running in some heavy clothes too, if you need to sweat the last bit out.

Why do you need to lose the weight?

Are you trying to lose actual pounds for a scale measurement? Or are you trying to drop a quick five pounds of fat?

If you just need to beat a scale, simply dehydrate your the day before the scale.

Losing five pounds of fat within 7 days would be almost impossible to do by any reasonable means. Would have to exercise and pretty much not eat anything.

Pro fighters drop as much as 20 pounds water weight all the time. Of course, they also are quite practiced at it and have a system. Dropping too much waterweight and not effectively re-hydrating is the cause of many a fighter or wrestler coming out "flat" and not having any stamina.
