hey /fit/
i weigh 85 kilos, can do 20 pull ups, 25 chinups and 15 of those ones you do behind your head (saw it in I am legend) one after another. Yet i am still scrawny looking.. I'm about 6 foot 2 inches yet people who are about the same height as me and weight look alot buffer but can't do half of what i do. Why is this so?

because you're actually strong, they're just vainfags who bench and curl.
>> Anonymous
You're just naturally strong. Be grateful for that fact.
>> Anonymous
What... you're saying you're not content being strong, you just want to be ripped?
>> Anonymous
But, will you blend?

That is the question.

Not that at all. Just wondering where all this weight i have is going. I have no bodyfat either. Everyone who eyes me up thinks i'm about 70 kilos sometimes as low as 65. Just wondering why this weight isn't showing up visibly.

Bone density. No really.

Bone density.

Same shit here OP, I weigh 90kilos, but everyone thinks that I weigh less, then 80.

but if i'm hauling around a weighty skeleton?
why can i do all the pull ups?
>> Anonymous

because you ain't doing them right, that's why fag!

Every pull up starts from a dead hang and ends in a dead hang. In between you got to get your chin over the bar and keep your legs and hips from moving.

Because you are strong?

but I do do that..
every so often i do it with legs held out horizontally at a 90 degree angle to get my stomach muscles involved. But always from a dead hang

Look, you are just a strong guy. Your workout isn't based towards sarcoplastic hypertrophy, thus you aren't growing shit tons of muscle, but your body still gets high strains from the pullups, thus bone growth is being stimulated.

You want bigger muscles? Put a big dumbbell in between your legs.

I really appreciate it

My weight and height is exactly the same as OP but I don't look like a scrawny dude at all... Interesting.

eat moar
>> Anonymous
How do you train for muscle hypertrophy then?
>> Anonymous
>>299970
by eating
if you don't eat enough no workout is gonna help you

Yeah but how should i be excercising, should I be aiming for a certain amount of reps or something?

8 reps.
It should be physically impossible for you to do 10 of the same weight.

A normal professional bodybuilder have substantially more muscle mass than a normal professional powerlifter.

That doesn't mean that he is a stronger. Muscle has density.

Cheers.

And to the other guy - I'm lifting for size, and not strength (well not as much, but strength would be nice yaknow)

Physically impossible to do 4 reps - Strength, Low to no mass.

Physically impossible to do 6 reps - Strength + Mass,

Physically impossible to do 9 reps - Mass, then some strength and an intsy tinsy bit of endurance.

Physically impossible to do 15 reps - Endurance, then some strength and a bit of mass.

>15 Endurance

>30 Endurance & Cardio

Muscle density. I wish I was one of those lucky pricks who had that neat wirey frame with incredibly strength.

Or proportional strength, anyway.
