Hey /fit/

I've been trying to flatten my chest for about a month now. I've been doing a variety of different things from bench press to pull ups to push ups. All I've noticed is that my shoulders and arms have been getting better, but my chest still remains flabby.

Any suggestions to help me out?

God how fucking stupid can you be.

Flab = Fat

Training muscles = Not burning Fat
(unless its anabolic blah blah blah)

But in general.
Do some fucking cardio.

You're a dumb. More muscles = higher metabolism = less fat.

He's partially right. Doing anaerobic exercises is not going to help you burn much fat, even if you do power sets it won't compare to aggressive aerobic exercise for about 30 minutes

you're retarded. Yes the amount of muscle gain will increase the amount of calories you use but decrease the amount of fat you burn by a pretty small amount

Wrong. More muscle mass actually makes you metabolism run more efficiently, so you burn less fat because your body doesn't need to burn AS MUCH fat for energy when your metabolism is running well.

AKA, plateau effect, only applied to fat loss. The same will happen if all you do is run. The more in-shape you get, the less fat you'll actually burn. This is one of the reasons walking/light jogging is recommended for pure fat loss, because it takes your body a lot longer to fall into complacency which results in a slower metabolism. HIIT works the same way since your body takes a lot longer to get used to the routine.

The best way to purely lose fat is to keep your metabolism high, which means falling into a repeating exercise routine is a BAD idea.

God damn it. Please do not speak unless you know what you're talking about.

Seriously, just do a little bit of research & you'll find out you're seriously wrong. The reason you don't see people who are gaining automatically losing weight is because part of gaining is eating more, & most people just eat more shit, instead of eating low carbs & low fat. Eat a diet made up totally of complex carbs, vegetables & lean meats to the tune of 500 more calories than you would require to maintain your weight, do the stronglifts routine, & maybe 20 minutes of light cardio twice a week for 4 months & I guarantee you you will gain 15 pounds, & look even more toned than you did before.

It's not difficult /fit/, just do some research instead of spouting off at the mouth like you're some kind of expert.
