>>356275 Well, I could be a little biased here. My first few years of college, I always hung out a lot with a few people who came to be very good friends. There was one kid who could probably be considered my best friend...we were together most of the day and had a great time. Stupidly, what I should have been doing took a back seat to my hanging out with these fucks...they were not good students, some of them smoked weed all day, they didn't do shit. The next semester, I had a lot of credits and I made a pledge to keep my work first and foremost. If they were really my friends, they would really respect what I had to do and deal with it, right? I grew really tired of my "best friend's" nagging for me to come hang out with him (this was apparently extremely important to him; unfortunately, I didn't know I had a girlfriend that I had to cater to night and day). I somewhat purposely distanced myself from my him because of this...even though he wanted to be around me, he's got to realize that I'm here to study and not fuckin hang out and drink all day, I thought. Eventually, we simply stopped hanging out and even talking because of his retardedness. I would have certainly hung out with him when I could if it weren't for his ridiculous attitude, but he really turned me off to him, it's his fault and he knows it; I really did nothing different towards any of them, and stayed cool with most of them aside from who was my best friend at one point. I ignored the calls he's made to me and I haven't heard from him in a long time. It will probably stay that way...no complaints here.
You have to do what you have to do. Make it known to your so called friends and if they can't deal with it, fuck 'em.
