Should I do squats at the beginning of my routine? They really knock the wind out of me and I'm thinking of doing them last.

u should do less weight if they knock the wind out of u. I always like to do some leg extensions before i do squats so that i can get a good pump in my quads.

also are u doing full squats or are u going to parallel?

Full squats.
I really don't think I'm going too heavy, I'm doing 5x5 and after each set I'm breathing heavily, and I lose the will to do the other exercises I have planned.

how much time are you taking between sets? also, you need to pace your workout better so you don't exhaust yourself. go lighter or move them towards the end. whatever works.

If im doing 2 body parts on the same day then yes ill usually do legs last because they seem to drain so much of my energy, while doing another body part doesnt seem to effect my legs at all.

Just try doing it at the start/end and with different body parts untill you find something that seems to work for you, no other way to do it. No one on these forums knows what your body is like do they?
