Hey /fit/!

How much sleep is TOO much sleep? On average, I stay up for 14-20 hours, and sleep for 10-12, sometimes even 15. I stay up all night and sleep during the day, and I'm 18 years old.

Am I in for problems in the future?

GET AN ALARM, FAGGOT.

Seriously, I'm not kidding. I was just like you before I learned better. I'd be able to sleep for 16 hours or so and then I'd feel like SHIT the next morning as if I didn't get any sleep. I would be completely lethargic and have no motivation and have a lot of time wasted-

AND ALL THIS COULD BE PREVENTED WITH A FUCKING ALARM CLOCK. Use your common sense. Don't be a fat, lazy slob.

You feel your best after 7-8 hours of sleep.

The most you should sleep after staying up for a long period of time is about 9 to 11 hours. Anymore and you'll feel like shit.

I once had a roommate that had to change the location of his alarm clock in his room every couple of months because he'd somehow always eventually end up learning to turn it off in his sleep.

Sleeping less than 6 hours or more than 9 is bad for you.

different people have different sleep needs especially when you factor in lifestyle, diet, genetics, environment and accumulated sleep debt. also you sleep less as you age.

I sleep 10 - 11 hours a day and feel like absolute shit if I only sleep for 7. I would much rather have that extra few hours to get things done especially when I have to work 8 hours a day.

10 hours? You must go to bed reaaally early or something. 8 hours should be enough to even the most sleep deprived people

I hide my alarm clock under the bed.

But it's best that you don't rely on an alarm clock imo. That way, if you wake up before it rings, you won't fall back down again thinking that it's not time to wake up yet.
