Exercise Fail Anonymous
sup /fit

I recently graduated from law school and decided I no longer wanted to be a huge turd. In the seven years since high school I have put on about 70 pounds. 6'4'' 260.

So, I started hitting the gym every other day, then it was every other day, and then it felt like my left foot exploded. I kept working out, and it only got worse. Eventually, the back of my heel became numb, and when I tried to stretch my calf, the pain felt like a ripping.

I took two weeks off, tried ice, ibuprofen, and it started hurting less, but the numbness never went away. A med student friend of mine said this was normal for the amount of exercise I just suddenly started, but it does not hurt on the bottom of my foot, which would be a plantar fasciitis issue.

Normal? I'm trying out new shoes to make sure that wasn't the issue.
