DEXA is the way to go (x-ray), bodpod works to. your best shot is bodpod, you'll need to be a university body comp subject OR a doctor's Rx to get in a DEXA. I worked in a body comp lab during uni, so i got all the dexas i could get my grubby hands on
calipers, other than a monitor of change (assuming EVERY VARIABLE IS ACCOUNTED FOR) is useless because A. you or who ever you have do it is likely unqualified B. for it to be done properly, requires calipers upwards of $400
TL DR: use PICTURES, over time, to gauge progress in addition to the positive increases in OBJECTIVE performance measures.
