Hello /fit/. I'm not here to ask you how to lose weight or if doing 30 pull-ups in 5 minutes is good, I'm here to ask your advice and information which could possibly save my father's life. My father was just diagnosed with liver cancer (also cancer on lungs and I think some on pancreas too). I did some searching around and found this website:

http://www.thedcasite.com/

DCA - Dichloroacetate

It is said to "reactivate the self-destructiveness of cells" that cancer cells lack. Cancer cells don't die. They keep living. But normal cells die off and new ones are made. Supposedly this "DCA" can revert a cancer cell back to a normal cell by turning on it's suicide mechanism.

I want to know if this is a scam or not, because from what I've read (and from MULTIPLE reliable sources), this could possibly be the cure everyone's been looking for. The problem is corporate greed won't allow it to be manufactured in America due to it being "un-patent-able" for lack of a better word. No money could be made off of producing this drug in bulk.

Please /fit/. Do any of you know if this stuff really works or not?

LOL, that's the same stupid shit all these quacks selling colon cleansers and other garbage say.

99% of the time, cancer with mets to the liver and lungs means death in a year or two at best. and that's WITH chemo.

Is that true? I've never paid much attention to this, but my dad is now dying and I guess it's opened my eyes.

Sadly, yes.

I familiar with big pharmaceuticals. It would take a huge fucking conspiracy to supress even one
company from going "fuck yeah, I don't need a patent! I'll make a couple billion on it, then slow down production when the need dies down".

Even if that were the case, we'd be hearing about other countries with govt. run healthcare being all over this, as I would assume this would save them a fortune

It's not a scam.

However it does not work for everyone and every type of cancer. You can read the forums to see people's reports.

Another therapy to look into is low dose naltrexone (LDN) which seems to work better for some cancers and not others. (e.g. pancreatic cancer) There is an excellent yahoo mailing list for LDN and they will help you.

There are lots of other therapies to try. Search lef.org as a starting point. (cancer, liver cancer, etc)
