So I'm trying to figure out why OATZ are such a big deal on /fit/. The big thing I see is their soluble fibre, which is great for people like me who need to reduce cholesterol. But what benefit are they to people working out to build muscle? Is it just the protein? There has to be some reason you'd recommend OATZ over, say, a steak.

Look if you have to choose food, you're not eating enough. Eat a steak now, eat a bowl of oats later, then repeat this cycle. Throw in some potatoes, maybe a couple babies, you'll get jacked if you lift something during this time.
