ok /fit/ i ran a 7:30 miles two days ago barefoot. also when i run barefoot it is on the ends of feet and toes only.this was a crazy workout of my calves and i can barely walk today because of them.question is should i run barefoot more often to continue to work out my calves since they are obviously under worked.
run barefoot more. it's how you were built to run.
and stretch a lot.A LOT.

Running on the balls of your feet puts a FUCKLOAD of strain on your knees.
tbh, your calves dont look all that bad..is that a cramp in the right one.i would run with shoes.. i dunno
there's a lot of info you can google on this. Check runnerswold.com. A lot think it's a fad and others swear by it. Even some doctors seem split on the issue. If you've been out for two days I'd scale back a bit. I wouldn't do it exclusively.

>>177643WRONG. Running on your heels puts a lot of strain on your knees. This is from a guy who used to do lots of endurance running until his knees got fucked up because of it. Google 'chi running' for more info on how running on the balls of your foot is the least strenuous on joints.
