This is shitty trolling and easily refuted. There's as much reason to get them as there isn't. Enforcing your own reason on other makes you no better than a corporation censoring language.

Because lower levels of body fat are indicative of greater levels of fitness and overall health, as it correlates to reduced risk of heart attack, stroke, and cancer.

Also, more women will blow you.

Visible abs are NOT an indicator of health or athleticism. The amount of bodyfat required to have visible abs is so low it actually limits performance.

Actually, I'm around 200 lbs, 10% bodyfat. When your bodyfat drops to around 3-4% (which a lot of people need for visible abs), your strength starts to fade. Muscular endurance decreases. You have reduced glycogen and ATP in your muscles. There isn't enough fat to use as a reservoir to synthesize hormones. You get light-headed, get nosebleeds, you bruise easily, and your lean mass decreases.

Tell that to Ivan Stoitsov.

3-4% body fat? WTF. Why would anyone need to be that low to see your abs? Unless you have absolutely no muscle at all, which means you should be gaining not cutting.

>>182852
Im with you. Im at 12% body fat and i have the top 4 showing. The only reason you should need to be below 5% to show all six is if you barely do any ab work, so go and go about 200ish situps. every day. for a year. then talk about what it takes to have a six pack.

If you're a man. If you know anything about male fat distribution patterns, the first place your body stores fat is over your abs. It is typical for professional bodybuilders to measure around 3% bodyfat.

You might have some slight definition if you're genetically inclined to store fat elsewhere, or have deep tendinous intersections. For the average joe, though, you can't sustain deep, "dry" looking abs for long before you start losing muscle.

Let's see some pics, hmm? I do o-lifting which requires extremely strong abs, and yet I can't see my abs at 10% body fat.

exactly the pussies who i was talking about in my first post ended up in the thread raging over eachothers abs,...so much fail

HEY DUDE! DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION??????

The reason I want I was six-pack abs so I won't be like you. Because, honestly, I don't really like you or the things you stand for.

7/10.

Presents a point that will clearly give reason to rage, insults the reader, and proclaims the OP is better to top off the rage fest, but your troll is easily identified and it doesnt present any points that can pull in the groups who wont be irritated by your anti ab rage.

Also, I may as well fall just a little. So - the reason people want abs are because to make a 6pack show you need to be in top form with both muscle AND a low bf%, simply put, they example a fit body.

Most girls i know arent really that impressed with 6 pack abs, they usually consider them a little gay.

Personally i tried to get them once, just to see if i could. Naturally i carry a lot of fat on my stomach, i was dieting and lifting and doing situps and running pretty much every day. I'm kind of a thin figured guy, i got down to about 145 (all muscle) before the abs started to show. However everyone i knew kept complaining that i looked to thin and they were afraid i was going anorexic or something.

I'm back up to about 170 or so now, more muscle and more fat, i dont really miss the abs, just wasnt worth it.

3% bodyfat is not the requisite to see your abs. It's more like 9%, which is sustainable day in and day out on a yearly basis and doesn't compromise health or workout performance.

3% is what COMPETING BODYBUILDERS diet down to in order to show as MUCH definition as possible. You can still see abs at higher body fat counts than 3%.
