Started in March, for most of April went everyday. Probably average 4-5 times per week.

I'm a fatty trying to get thin, I row 5000m in 20 minutes and cycle 13km in 30 mins

Moderately fit. I've been going for 3 mo now and I'm starting to notice some results, enough to keep me going now that it's getting nicer outside.

I consider myself in pretty good shape, been working out for a lil over a year and a half now and here are some stats:

bench went from 115 to 165 (x8)
squat went from 145 to 225 (x5)

and just in general I'm way stronger, bigger and I feel better than ever. I really recommend making a weight training program part of your life.

As for the dudes working out for like 2 hours, you should try to keep the activity itself under an hour or else you body's stress response begins to generate cortisol which is bad for many reasons. If it's cardio it might be ok though... not sure.

Moderate. I usually train a single body part per session and do 5 exercises. If I can get my reps up to 12 I increase the weight by 5 lbs.

are you a girl?

my bench went from 135x10 to 225x4 and my squats went from 135x12 to 245x12, both in 3 months AND i lost 60lbs in the same 3 months.. those changes over the course of a year are pretty small.

i was also lifting 5 days a week for an hour and a half a day and running 6 days a week for 45 minutes

Relatively fit. I started lifting again a few weeks ago after a long time of nothing but running, so I'm sorta skinny. Working on a high protein diet right now and looking to put on some muscle by the end of the summer.

the weight loss is pretty fucking impressive (i.e. probably BS), but for a big guy that kind of strength increase is no problem - most of it is just learning how to use muscles that are already there. I've brought my squat from 135 to 190 in the last month doing Rippetoe, and it will be a while before I slow down - I weigh 235, with very muscular legs. My bench, though, that's a different story...
