Sick girl !!JNvzv3WIJt6
Hey again
I did a post on r9k to describe the symptoms I have and see if they could figure out what's wrong with me, but they all said it was lupus and rabies.>.>
Anyways, I'll ask you guys for help, maybe you can diagnose me.
I am female caucasian, 17 years old and live in Britian (which means I have the NHS, and the doctors has so far been unable to diagnose me). I weight 98 pounds/44.45 kilograms and 5'4 feets/164.5 centimeters long.
My dad has high blood pressure, my mom low.
I have been tested negative for diabetes, gluten intolerance and anemia.

ok
>> Sick girl !!JNvzv3WIJt6
My blood pressure is normal and sometimes slightly below normal. I've been to the hospital several times for my heart (which I will get more detailed on), and been tested with the EKG, which showed nothing out of the ordinary (but during those EKGs, I had no problems with my heart). They are gonna do one last test in 6 months and then just stop trying to diagnose and help me.
I was given ferrous sulphate, ibuprophen and some other painkiller I can't remember, these were given to me ca 8 months ago and I was told to take the iron tablets 3 times a day (even though I'm not anemic), ibuprophen 3 times daily, two tablets per time, and the painkillers 3-4 times daily for the pain. Stopped with all those pills 3-5 months ago, the iron pills asap, since my appetite got worse and worse and it didn't help against the pain and the joints have gotten even worse. I was also given some vitamin supplements which I still take.
Anyways, my symptoms and problems:

Yes.
>> Sick girl !!JNvzv3WIJt6
I've always had problems with my heart, but it became noticealbe when I became 8 years or so, I can't remember if I've always had a stomach problem.
My main problem is my heart, it sometimes speed up and slow down and even stops I think (I lose consciousness so I can't be sure if it really stops or just slows down a lot), and they have no idea why that is.
Before I pass out I randomly feel a pounding sensation in my chest., though I randomly feel that pounding sensation.
My chest/heart also hurt sometimes, and it gets difficult to breathe, usually after I've taken a walk in the cold, but it happens randomly as well, when I haven't done anything in particular before.
>> Sick girl !!JNvzv3WIJt6
I simply can't drink just water and some juices, when I do I get dizzy and feel sick(usually vomits as well) and I also have a lack of appetite. Usually I just feel sick after I've eaten. My stomach hurts as well, sometimes aching, sometimes stabbing, throbbing, usually in the same places but they are hard to describe. Often in the lower right abdomen, and when I press it, it hurts a lot more.
My kidneys, or in my sides, hurt as well, a aching or burning sort of sensation.

My joints always feel kinda bruised and aches, and hurt more when I move them. If i press the joints (most notacable on my shoulderblades/ribcage) it feels bruised. They also make snapping/grinding noises, sometimes they get really stiff and hard to move. I kind of feel things move in the aching joint.

My limbs sometimes hurt, it feels like I get something tied around the limb, constricting the blood flow. I also feel dizzy when this happens. This happens mostly in my legs and sometimes in my arms and feels like moving/relocating. I kind of feel things move in the aching joint as well, usually I feel that before the circulation gets cut off.

I have insomnia, and sleeps only after being completely exhausted and collapses, and only then a couple of hours. Sometimes I don't sleep for several days. I don't get sleeping pills since my doctors say they might make my heart stop(since they have no clue what's wrong with it). They said it sounded genetic and that it might get worse with sleeping pills. My brother and father feels something similar to my heart problems occasionally, but nowhere near as bad.

My hands and feet are always cold, my nails almost blue and my tongue purplish(lips normal and red)

Could you wrap it up in a few simple points?

Joint pain and decreased mobility.
Stomach and side pain, lesser appetite.
Leg pain and circulation problems, sometimes in arms as well.
Insomnia.

>>Heart arrhythmia, pains, failures.

Heart problem, possible genetic

>>Joint pain and decreased mobility.

Osteoarthritis

>>Stomach and side pain, lesser appetite.

Kidney failure, peptic ulcer or appendicitis.

>>Leg pain and circulation problems, sometimes in arms as well.

Blood clots.

>>Insomnia.

Because of all of the pain perhaps.

I think it is lupus, seriously.

May I suggest http://wellness.bupa.co.uk/for-you/your-health-assessments/ha-premier

..start saving.

Sorry to hear all this though. I'm in the UK too and I generaly find doctors suck and never really know whats wrong. I guess they can't all be like House :(

Agreed.

You might have several different diseases, or some autoimmune disorder.
But wow at your doctors behavior, I guess there is no chance in hell of them finding out what it is.

Guess everybody can't know say the over 2000 human hereditary disorders like a walking medical dictionary or a show written with a book at hand. It does suck though :(

On topic: Sick sinus syndrome?

ahhh...the wonders of state run health

get ready america. when you vote Obama, this is wahts going to happen to you.

overworked, underqualified doctors who frankly couldn't give a shit trying to find esoteric and dynamic systemic problems in this girl. while i am empathetic to OP situation, i dont know what possible E-diagnosis would help when you have specialists (god i hope you just dont have the local GP working on you)
( i know frustration at the medical community. when a doctor doesnt know what problem X is, so in fact, he claims X cannot be a problem, cuz "huurrr, i'm a doctor, and if i cant tell whats wrong, it cant be wrong". mine is/was temporary total blindess and numbness down one side on my body, still no doctor has any idea, and the arrogant ones told me that its probably nothing, or that this 'happens to everyone'..... we are talking about going blind here. /end rant)

OPs best bet, considering the variety of symptoms (MAY NOT BE RELATED, though) and age would be to look into

A. genetic issues (arguably more than 1 overlapping)
B. autoimmune disease
C. cancer
D. mechanical dysfunction/birth defect of some sort (if you've 'always had these problems')
E. combinations of all the above

so what you're saying is, you don't think it's an infection or benign tumor? brilliant!

Sounds like a connective tissue disorder, there's a lot of those though and I can't possibly begin to decide which.

>>Heart arrhythmia, pains, failures.
you had an EKG done, if the test was ACCURATE, (and you said it was normal) electromechanical heart dysfunction isnt just a temporary process. it would SHOW as there is something physically wrong that would show or its aftereffects would show. also your description is INCORRECT. you described tachycardia, NOT >>Heart arrhythmia, pains, failures
lol. 'heart failures' for fucks sake....but 'pains' could be 100s of things.
THE HEART IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, go in and do a FULL GXT EKG w/ 3D modeling using ultrasound. the goal being for YOU to INDUCE the problem while @ the clinic so they can see the dysfunction.
a heart problem like some bizarre genetic congestive heart failure-ish disease can/would lead to all following problems.
>>Joint pain and decreased mobility.
>>Stomach and side pain, lesser appetite.
>>Leg pain and circulation problems, sometimes in arms as well.
>>Insomnia.

also, overly hyped sympathetic nervous system (as a response to dysfunctional heart) would lead to joint pain (absolutely), decreased appetite (absolutely), insomnia (absolutely), and circulation issues (but not as you described)
tldr: check you adrenals

overall TLDR: FULL 100% hormonal panel + clincial cardiac stress test/GXT with EKG+Ultrasound. they may not 'get' your problem at its source, but they will actually find its footprints, so at least they can treat some aspect of it

also, reported, enjoy your b&. miss 17 from UK

Sounds like a severe case of AIDS.

Whatchu got whatchu got. Everybody wants to be House, rite /fit/? Let's do this thing.

>Heart arrhythmias (tachycardia and bradycardia and syncope, pounding)
>Joint pain and decreased mobility.

>Nausea, stomach pain, lack of appetite, pain in the sides
>Leg pain and circulation problems, sometimes in arms as well.
>Insomnia

Imma say heart condition leads to nausea and pain, nausea and pain leads to loss of appetite leads to anemia leads to coldness and blueness. OP are you anemic? Then joint condition. So we have something to do with both heart and joints (mesenchyme) and childhood onset or affecting all ages, right?

I'm not a doctor, I just checked wikipedia and did a summary.

How do I make them do it?
Will they even take me serious?
