My Fucking Knee Anonymous
So, hey, unlike a majority of you bastards; I am allergic to ibuprofin. Anyone know an alternative to advil/aleeve/whatever to help stop the fucking pain on the left side of my left knee. WTF INFLAMMATION PAIN, WTF, NO ONE INVITED YOU TO THE PARTY. Thanks.

you tried icy hot/ bengay? things like that help me

Acetaminophen. Also known as, tylenol. It does not contain ibuprofen. Also, aspirin.

Take pain meds for pain. For swelling, ice.

This guy said what I was going to. You basically have three major options. My ex was also allergic to ibuprofen and she used acetaminophen.

Or was it the other way around?

Anyways; that, Icy-Hot, a knee brace while exercising and maybe some glycene.

diet can also help inflamation and recovery. some research in that area might pay off as well.

Lots of omega 3 fish oils help alot with inflammation. Biotest have some supersupplement type thing for it.

OP here,

Thanks for all the productive responses. I iced it earlier and it didn't really help that much. It doesn't really hurt unless I am going down stairs and very slightly when going up, if that's a clue to what's causing it. It happens after I run for a long period of time (ran 30 minutes or so) and I think I run like a fucking tard with my left leg but it's kind of hard to change that pattern.

I plan on eating some bananas, getting some bengay, poppin some tylenol here soon and going to get some omega-3 because I am pretty sure it's just the swelling in that area causing the pain. Is biotest the best stuff in general? I have heard from nutrition wise individuals that they are the people to get supplements from. Thanks fit.

Biotest stuff is normally, relatively cheap for the quality (you can get heaper proteins, but they mix poorly and taste like dirt... that's what I use, but money's tight).

The thing with biotest is that they wont sell things that don't work, alot of companies (cough, muscletech) just rely on flashy containers and bright colours\huge dudes being sponsored by them, where as biotest get their name out by supplying a great information source (tnation) even though their main tnation markater, ct, is a cockfag, their products are good quality, very good price and most importantly: fucking effective.

Biotest have everything you need, at a good price. anything they don't sell is probably overkill.

Personally, if I had the money, it'd be Spike (for days I feel down) surge, creatine, superfood and flameout.

Alright, sounds good. I am going to pick up some flameout tomorrow and start taking it. Spike sounds interesting but I drink way too many energy drinks as is and wonder if it would make a difference. Holy shit, superfood looks badass, lol. Convention wisdom would suggest not doing all of this shit before I am about to do a timed three mile run Saturday but fuck conventional. I think I will pickup some superfood and flameout.

Throw some flameout, creatine and spike down your gullet before you do the run, see if you become superluminous.

lol, watch me explode at about two miles. Hopefully I will combust racing my fireteam leader and take that sucker out.

Fish oil or cod liver oil will definitely work for that, I take some every day. I smashed my leg into ice the other week and it barely even bruised.

How'd you find out that you were allergic? I bet that sucked.

I know the perfect medicine!

Ibuprofin.

Er, wait...

how does orally ingested drugs only operate at the knee, no, wait, it affects whole body... that shit's really necessary?

swelling is a natural body occurring thingy.. it's telling you something is wrong.. i suppose i'm advocating suffer or find the real cause :D

Why do you sound so stupid?
