What do you think of the "I'm Big And Beautiful" people? Anonymous
Are the overweight women who claim to be proud and wear their weight as a fashion statement well off?

Is it good they are trying to be comfortable with themselves or is it bad they are trying to be comfortable with themselves?
>> Anonymous
Get out.

Enjoy stressing your joints from the extra weight.
Also your blood pressure isn't good.
Overall you might not be as healthy as you can be.

I see it as just an excuse of staying overweight and being too lazy to exercise and have proper diet.

But w/e it's your body.

I think being comfortable with themselves, when they are probably unhealthy, is bad.

bad, fail, etc.

Np.

I don't see what is so hard for fat people to lose weight.
I lost 20 lbs fairly quickly, from bicycling and jogging lightly, and having proper diet.

Seriously, it is not that hard to put down the soda and do a light jog.

Fat people annoy me now.
>> Anonymous
Trying to justify an unhealthy lifestyle created from laziness and disgusting diets by warping their sense of what is beautiful is beyond retarded.
>> Anonymous
Op here,

To be honest, I started this thread to exchange low-fat cupcake recipes.

You guys are waaaay off-topic.

If that's really how they feel, then more power to them. However, it could just be a defense. Some portray skinny people as being evil and unhappy, and fat people as being happy. Some could have conflicting views on their weight, but are greeted by dogs in internet groups who tell them that it's ok, that they're beautiful, etc etc.

It hits home with me. I have a mother who, you can tell, it just hurts for her to live. She's always tired, she gets mad a lot....And I know these are things that skinny people can have, but somehow I find them related to her weight. She sees me losing or not eating as much as I should, and throws the fact that she pigs out in my face. If anything, I have the utmost pity for her. She looks so happy when she's eating and terrible most other times. However, this could just be me projecting all of htis onto her because I am trying to lose weight.

Anyway, the commercial for Liposine ran over and over, and she said something about how the diagram looked like her when she was depressed, and that she guessed there was no hope. I told her that she didn't try, and that it's not that hard. She didn't respond.

This is related because my mother is into the BBW groups herself. She is one of those " i'm comfortable with my weight " people. I'm not one to judge her, so idk.

That's how I feel. I'm still a fatass, and I spend only 2 30 minute intervals of my day jumping rope, while not eating as much ( and I used to eat A LOT ), and I've lost 40-50 pounds. I still have 70 or so more to go, but it's hard not to see a fat person and get annoyed simply because they are fat. I'm trying to get out of that, but I can't help it.
>> Anonymous
>>114160
Yep!
See people? It's not that hard to lose weight.
>> Anonymous
I think it's good to be comfortable with your body.
If your overweight or obese, you should be aware of that, and be trying to do something about it as well.
But just because someone isn't completely ripped, doesn't mean they need to be ashamed of their body.
>> Anonymous
>>114135

They annoy you now? It's all about well power and determination. Obviously, society crushes a fat person's self-esteem.

I don't condone being overweight, but you should have some sympathy for them and encourage them whenever they do talk of losing weight.
>> Anonymous
>>114189
Yeah, I think that's why most of them annoy me.
They get all emo and hopeless when you talk about weight loss.

Cheer up guys, it's not the end of the world.

I wasn't overweight when I started exercising, but I had some water weight on me. In the beginning I ran because I had to, for Airforce ROTC, and I was like "My goodness I hate this crap"

Now that I'm a bit more fit, I actually enjoy exercising, I see it as self improvement. Maybe if overweight people stopped running just so they can look good, and instead they exercised for THEMSELVES for self improvement, for health, maybe it will be easier for them.
>> Anonymous
/fit/ really is fucking stupid. I don't know how you turned this topic into "Why overweight people should conform to my standards", but you smug, obnoxious fuckheads managed to.

I have more respect for people who are happy with their bodies and could care less about conforming to what society says they should look like. At least they aren't as simple minded as all the shallow dickheads on this board who think every male is supposed to have a crew cut and ripped abs.

>>114114

They can do what they want. They aren't trying to change you, don't try to change them. The only people who are ever wrong are judgemental assholes who think everyone needs to be just like them, regardless if they are fat, skinny, or athletes.
>> Anonymous
>>114224

Lol, this troll raged me pretty hard, so I'll feed him.

They aren't not conforming to society's image of beautiful, they are out physical shape, most often not physically fit, and not naturally healthy. Being unhealthy and out of even nature's standards of healthy is not something to be proud of or even to be accepted, especially when the only thing to blame is lazy and stupid behavior. I'd say it's quite shallow to love yourself so much that when you are clearly even out of nature's boundaries of healthy you think of it as beautiful. Grow up, the world doesn't work that way.
>> Anonymous
Really, only time I object is if the girl's like "YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT ME FO WHO AW AHM". If you're comfortable with how big you are, then alright, but don't expect me to be.
>> Anonymous
I can tell you from experience that when you lose a lot of weight you start hating fat people. YOU went through all that effort and made it. And those faggots expect you to think that it's impossible for them? They need to shut the fuck up and eat more snickers so they die quicker.

One excuse I hear a lot from fatties is that its diabeetus or genetics and there isn't anything they can do about it.

Is this bullshit or is this bullshit?
>> Anonymous
>>114333
Alot of the time when people say "I think it's genetics because my whole family is fat"

But I think most of the reason why the whole family is fat, is because of their life style, and their diet. I think genetics has not much to do with it.
>> Anonymous
>>114335
Genetics can make you big boned and bulky but it cant turn you into a fatass.
>> Anonymous
>>114335

Exactly. A lot of times there are people saying "this person is fat just like his father, it's obviously genetics!"

But it's not. When you go in their household, the common foods are mostly unhealthy.

Crying "genetics" is probably another reason the "big and beautiful" mentality came up. Because some were thinking it was nature's fault they were fat, and not their eating habits.
>> Anonymous
I watched some show that said like .0001% of the population (don't know the exact #) had some weird genetic defect that made them really hungry all the time. Don't know much more about this...

MAN THE HARPOONS

We need fat people to sustain increasing population.

Cannibalize them. They probably taste really good.

Too fatty, not enough lean meat.

And what does /fit/ say to people who have a sexual fetish for being fat? As in, they cannot find their bodies attractive without that? That would be a lot harder to pinpoint than a genetic disorder, but it seems like it would have just as much of an impact.

I'd say there is a 1/100 chance of a fat chick being hot. Hot fat chicks. Well, I mean, that's pretty awesome. Wouldn't really want a relationship with one, because they'd likely be pretty fucked up socially, and would definately have health problems later in life, but I'd totally fuck one.

I'm a fatty, and I'm comfortable with my body. Not in the sense that I'm delusional and think I'm attractive when I'm not. I know that I'm a grotesque rotund disgusting pile of fat. Big whoop, I'll never have sex, not that big of a deal. In society, I try to portray myself as asexual for the courtesy of others, and although about half my friends are from the opposite gender, I have never had any sexual or romantic experiences, and likely never will, but I'm totally fine with that.

Don't get me wrong, we live in a shallow and highly sexualised society, etc. But... damn, you dismiss an intimate experience like that offhand?
>> Anonymous
Its bad for them to be comfortable with it, because theyre fat.
>> Anonymous
In france you will be fined for 35.000 $ or prison sentence if you talk someone into bulemia and self-destructive diets. I ask you: Why not punish someone that advertises a lifestyle just as unhealthy by saying "I'm fat and proud of it"? Constant weight-gain with aging is healthy, but you can not start out as Jabba the Hut and expect to die of old age rather than a heart attack when taking a shit.
>> Anonymous
>>115040
No, I've thought about this, I've also thought about how every one of my friends who becomes attached to a significant other, wither of not theirs sex involved becomes less fun.

I've also thought about how love affects the brain in much the same way as illegal drugs.

And finely I've thought about how I wouldn't have sex with a fat girl, despite, my weight, so I shouldn't expect any girl to want to have sex with me, unless I lose weight. In fact, the only sex I'd be morally convertible with in my current state would be legalized and regulated prostitution, to them it's just a job, and with jobs you don't have to like the customer, just deal with them.

As for why I don't just try to lose weight, frankly, I'm just lazy.

Again, you're not making much sense to me. I think your perspective will alter radically in the coming years. Relationships aren't everything, but they're sure as hell not unhealthy.

I can't see how you can compare a relationship between people and an addiction to drugs on anything other than an aesthetic level. Sure, people go into relationships for the wrong reasons and make mistakes, even get a little obsessed and neglect other things along with a multitude of other problems, but there's a very big difference between confiding in a person and a substance.

If sex is an extension of that relationship, so be it. It's a great method of expression. If you don't agree, then you at least have to see how that you're more comfortable with some kind of detached, emotionless sex is worse.

And for the record, I've seen plenty of attractive girls with overweight guys. Must be a personality thing.

Psychologically, the BBW movement can come down to two reasons for it's existance, for some it's a coping mechanism for their state of being, an admittal of failure and pride in failure. Similar to how some academic dropouts will regret their decision in secret, but in public will try and save face by playing stupid.

Second may be an adaptation to fat as a fetish due to mental resignation that it is their only option for sex.

Yes, laziness is a reason for not trying to lose weight, but I implore you to exercise to lose weight still.

It ends up being a fun activity that your body gets used to and eventually enjoys. I was lazy and overweight when I started but I found it was an enjoyable activity that made me feel physically and emotionally better.
>> Anonymous
They're just lazy asses who sometimes think they're beautiful, and don't bother losing weight because the media tells them to. It's a fucking health issue, fatties.
