Leg Workout Anonymous
hey /fit/

I have never really worked out my legs formally, but I am now adding an entire day of working out only my legs to my workout schedule; but, I need some advice as to where I should start.

Any recommended workouts, etc?

Thanks

I don't care how much you can lift.
Without proper form you can fuck yourself up pretty badly.
Learn form first, then add weights.

I am capable of learning form from research; I didn't go into deadlifting blind, I know how close to keep the bar to my legs, when to thrust, and how to recover. Starting weight is requisite with some lifts, like snatching, but for something like deadlifting at ~100lbs form is easy to maintain.

That's good then.

Any ideas as to what I should at to:

>Deadlift - 8 reps @ 5 sets.
>Calf rises with dumbbell in hand - 10 reps @ 5 sets.
>Lunges with dumbbell in hand - 5 reps @ 3 sets.

to increase lower body strength; btw, my core is very developed -- I go so far as to have an entire day devoted to working on my core, so full body exercises may be easier for me than my posts lead on.

I plan on joining a gym in 1-1.5 months, and would like to develop enough to use, adequately, the machines/equipment available.

squats and power cleans. Or any Olympic lift you like.
