Dearest /fit/, do the rest times between sets matter? I know you need enough to combat fatigue but is that just about it?Reason why is that I sometimes do 40 pound weighted pushups, like 10 reps, and then will wait several minutes for doing another set. Sometimes I will even do many sets throughout the day.Would it be more effective to crank them all out at once? If so, why?
if you shorten your rest time inbetween sets I think you'd get better results vs putting them off till later on in the day but I'm notsureI remember seeing that fuck scoobywhatever do a workshop video where he does like pushups to dumbell flys to something else without rest and going in depth about how its a great workout and how no rest shit will leave you sore as fuck even if youre an experienced lifter
Less than 2 minutes it's hypertrophy. I'm supposed to take 2 minute rests but sometimes, i decide to take 3 or 4. If it is my feminine side or genuine exhaustion, i don't know.
bamp :(
>>303992Definitely feminine side. I rest 1min tops between heavy weight sets like bench, squat, shoulderpress. Curling I rest like 30secs.

Rest as long as you need for full recovery. You don't want to fight lactate, you want to lift with maximum strength.
