Anyone here have any heart problems? I was diagnosed with mild pulmonic stenosis when I was in the hospital for the flu at age 2, but its been pretty uneventful since then. Just make sure I take antibiotics before any sort of surgery/dental work.

Recently, Ive been getting this twitch in my neck when I lay down. Its along the main neck muscle that comes out above the collarbone in line with the jugular(correct?) on my left side. Some nights I won't even notice it and some nights it keeps me awake. Only thing that concerns me is that it feels awfully correlated with my heart beat. Almost as if some sort of pressure is being pushed back up into that area. It seems worst if I lay on my left side. On my stomach, and on my right side it is less troublesome.

I know I shouldn't be asking for mission critical health advice on the internet but I'm currently uninsured and feel fine otherwise (the 'twitch' is really just unnerving).

So, am I going to die soon, /fit/?

Also, my diet is shit and i smoke cigars occasionally (picked up again after the twitch started, if anything it seems to curb anxiety a little). My weight is normal.

I used to have heart palpitations. Doctor said not to worry and that I'd grow out of it when I became more active.
And they did, haven't had a palpitation in ages.

I've had a heart murmur since I was born. I had to take medication before going to the dentist as well, but was just recently told I don't need it anymore.

Go to the doctor's. It is probably nothing very serious, but it is always good to get a check up. With a heart problem, regular echos and other tests help monitor its progress (or lack thereof). I went once every four years as a child, but once every year is probably better.

There was a period of time that I would get palpitations too. I never got them checked up because I just chalked it up to my murmur and they eventually went away, though it would be best to check on them.
