Hai /fit/. I'm non-muscular, 110-120 pounds and i'm thinking of starting some muscletraining.

I have access to a home training rig, a basic thing with weights for training legs and dumbells and stuff.

Now, i present you with an oppurtunity. How did i gain muscle? Tailor my daily exercise for me. Kthx :D

I'm male.

my goal is to get relatively fit, i guess. Not a giant arnold motherfucking scharzenegger musclepackage, just beef up a bit. How do i eat? How do i train?

oh and, there's 2 gyms i can go to if i want to, so that's no prob.

Experiment to find the weight where you can only do 5 reps. Do 5 sets of 5 reps, some people swear by 3 sets of 8 reps but I don't think it matters that much. Don't neglect your legs.

as far as eating, i'm assuming you're pretty scrawny, or 12. so you're going to want to gain weight and bulk up.. you can eat almost anything you want as long as you get a bunch of protein (investing in some whey protein couldn't hurt)

frequency, do monday/wednesday/friday if you're just starting out.. or whatever works for you, just lift and leave a day of rest before you lift again

lifts, make sure you include squats, and deadlifts, they're big compound lifts that work the most muscles and a lot of people report that doing squats helps them gain muscle growth over their entire body.

Eat a shitload. Lots of meat, eggs, milk and stuff with protein in it. It doesn't really matter as long as you just eat a lot, but make sure you get your macros in there(Fat, protein and carbs).
No, you won't get fat or arnold huge.

As for training, do the real basic stuff. That is deadlift, bench press, squats, rows and military presses. You don't really need much more. 3 Sets 5 reps is good for a beginner. Always concentrate on form, not on weight.

He can't eat "whatever he wants." Too many people use the excuse that they are bulking to eat junk food. You ALWAYS should eat healthy for maximum results no matter what you are doing. He just needs to eat more of the healthy food.
