I'm not positive, but every trainer I've spoken with advises treating abs as you would any other muscle. I agree with that personally.

also, the majority of muscles in the core of the body are in fact posture muscles that recover very quickly as you have heard. but the abdominals are too large a muscle group for a fast recovery to be possible.

i would recomend sticking to to 2 or 3 ab training sessions a week.

on a related note, revealing a six pack has more to do with body fat % than it does with abdominal development
