Is diet soda really unhealthy. I wanna make coke chicken, if I use diet soda would it be ok. All it will be is diet coke mixed with heinz ketchup. Sounds disgusting, but tastes fucking amazing, but was wondering how bad this would be. Theres hardly any fat, only thing is theres sugar in the ketchup.

Theres no long term studies that have conclusive evidence unfortunately, but in the meantime fuck it, tastes good, helps with 'immediate' results and goals and if it causes some health implications later in life? .. 50 years down the track? oh well I hope that i overcompensate in other health areas to counter it.

ANYWAY i'm not sure what you mean with this will you cook it IN the coke? cos i was sure that doing that with regular coca-cola would make it taste better due to the caramelizing of the sugar in that, so not sure how much flavour you'll get out of a can of diet soda.

Just made it, was fucking delicious. Plus, theres hardly any fat in it. Tasted quite good, first time I tried it I used regular coke, but was still good with diet. Just mixed 1/2 cup of ketchup, with 1/2 cup coke(you can reduce the amount of ketchup if you want), then just cook till chicken is ready and the sauce has thickened. I was asking, because /fit/ seems to know whats healthy and whats not.

1/2 cup of ketchup is not good, no matter how much you try and sugar coat it (pun fucking intended).

brb gorging myself on bagels and low-fat cream cheese because I won't get fat as long as I don't eat fat

fuck it then 3/4 of a cup, I think I used to much. I suppose its not that healthy, but its not terrible either. Its alright to have once in a while.

Ketchup has a crap load of HFCS so using diet coke to try to make it healthier is counterproductive

Diet soda will still spike insulin levels, which in turn will make sure you burn more carbs than fat stores during actual exercise (and regular metabolism). I'm not sure about the exact impact relative to the quantity, but if you cut out diet sodas, you can theoretically be burning more fat all around.

Uh... you do realize cooking diet soda is toxic, right?
