Hey /fit/

I was wondering if a 1100 cal breakfast was too much? I do intensive cardio each day and try to stock up on energy at the start of the day and continue my day with smaller and more stable meals.

I run an hour every second day and on off days from cardio I do strength training. I also lose about 1-2 lbs a week.. this is working fine for me and I feel great but I was wondering, is pushing for 2-3 lbs a bit much?

I can probably drop off 400-500 calls off my breakfast easily(I know what I have to drop if I must, but I love eating a big breakfast ^_^)

btw I'm 6'4" and 201 lbs.

Thanks for any answers :) I'll check back after my next class.

6'4", 201....you should be gaining muscle weight at this point. Lift more, keep the big b-fast if you'd like. Personally, if I ate that much I'd feel sluggish all morning.

I eat 12000 calories a day, you'll be okay.

You're doing perfect. Don't go for too much, it's not worth it. Restricting calories too much will just drop your leptin levels too low and you'll get HUNGRY, which leads to cravings of course.

I don't know about the caloric amounts. but it's called breaking the fast for a reason. It's the longest amount of time that you've been without food, eight hours. Or more.

every nutritionists and healthy person in their right minds recommends eating the biggest mail the day in the morning. whether that amount should be 1100 Cals, I don't know.

Hey just got a break from class finally.. naw not a troll.. just asking. I calculated my caloric intake and noticed just my breakfast was 1100 cals. But I'm still losing weight... 1-2 lbs a week. So I was wondering if I adjusted my intake if I could maybe lose 2-3 lbs a week.. but that maybe be a bad idea.

I hope to lose at least 1-2 lbs this week as usual. WE'll see how it goes.. or maybe I'll stay the same weight or gain a pound or two since I'm increasing my strength training a bit this week.
