Simple calorie question Anonymous
I'm supposed to be eating around 1700 calories a day to loose weight. However, I also run for at least 30 minutes a day which burns anywhere between 300-400 calories in that time. Do I need to compensate for the calories lost during a work out, or am I fine eating 1700 and then working out?

If you burn 300 calories with cardio then you should eat 2000 calories.

Depending on how sedentary your work is you might want to even drop to 1500 cals.

If you want an outdoor activity that is super easy and cheap and pretty fun. Google up some disc golf courses in your area and learn to play. (See youtube, google, disc golf forums, etc).

When I was losing weight I did what you are doing and also started disc golfing on the weekends. Now I am 60lbs lighter and I go all the time. Its an easy walk and relatively inexpensive ($25 for a started set of discs at Dick's)

Good luck!

dumb. 2000 if you want to maintain. 1700 if you want to lose weight.
