my progress Anonymous
this was me in july of 2007. i posted this a few months ago along with a progress picture asking for advice as i was at a crossroads. i don't have that picture anymore, but will post a few more up to a few days ago. i decided to run a half marathon so i am doing a ton of cardio still, but after the race next week i will be drastically reducing it and focusing on weights for a while. i want to run a full marathon someday but i am getting tired of spending so much time running.

first pic is july 2007, 5'10" 285 pounds

good call man, what was your exercise plan/routine?
>> Anonymous
Good job OP! Also, you no longer look Amish.

That said, PBS had something for marathon training. They took some regular people and had them complete a marathon. Here a link to the project: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/marathon/ and Here is the link to their training schedule for these regular people: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/marathon/cale-0607.html

What are you interested in that's different?

GOOD WORK OP. SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT THESE TOGETHER AS A SINGLE PROGRESS PIC SO WE HAVE MORE FATTY MOTIVATION.

post plan/routine nao!!!!

also, congrats on not be Amish :)

I personally think you look better around 180 pounds. Losing fat is great, and so it reaching a goal. But hitting a goal at sake of more important issues (eating right, looking your best, and increasing your health) can be detrimental to the overall picture.

Work on bodyweight exercises or lifting (if you want) OP. You need some muscles (or general shape... right now you're a lose bag of "I just lost a bunch of weight."). Do something about it without focusing on the fat loss, because you're starting to look really bad skin/skinny fat without a shirt on. Focus on things that can gain definition and shape. 5' 10" & 155lbs? Why not be around 170?
>> Anonymous
whats the ideal weight for someone around 6'6"/6'5"?
>> Anonymous
i didn't really keep a set routine the whole time, it has just evolved. i started with small changes in diet like snacking on vegetables with dressing instead of chips and eventually dropped the dressing. now i eat tons of lean meats, protein, pb&j, oats, peppers etc. i try to keep it around 2000 calories, but when i was losing the most weight i was at about 1300-1500. exercise i started with walking, then started on the elliptical machine, then started running on a trail, then started on a regimen that i've been following. i got a weight bench about three months ago and have been doing a varied bunch of exercises with it. oh, and some p90x for good measure.

how much cardio did you do when you started losing the most weight?
>> Anonymous
op again. i agree about being a bit too small currently. i just kept dropping weight because of the running, so that's when i added more calories but it didn't matter because i am burning more anyway, so that is why as soon as the race is done i'm going to start bulking. i want to get to 175-180.
>> Anonymous
it started really coming off when i was able to do an hour a day, it should be noted that i also got a really fast paced, physical job around then too though, so i was busting my ass with hard work several hours a day on top of the exercise.

Nice. Good job!

is the answer 1hr a day?

what about this?

;_;

I'm currently 5'9", 265 lbs, and I look a lot like the OP's pic, but he doesn't have stretch marks and I do. What the fuck? How did he avoid them?

he gained the fat slowly so the skin will grow.

This is now your workout routine. Every morning after a healthy portion of OATZ, you will warm up and then ROLL A DIE.

PRINT THIS SHIT OUT AND FOLLOW IT

You don't have to run so much if you just do HIIT. Do it faggot.

Good job, OP!

That looks good, weight-wise. And you've probably got a healthy heart after all that running. I would be lifting weights now if I were you.

How old are you OP?

Good show, OP! Don't forget to redistribute your now over-sized vestments to the appropriate parties.

Holy shit, good job OP!! Good fucking job!
>> Anonymous

>> Anonymous
Great job OP, but it's probably about time you started lifting.
>> Anonymous
how the fuck do nipples get smaller?
>> Anonymous
>>413260

a) he's one of those few fat cunts who didn't get gynecomastia or permanently stretch nipples

b) different room temperature/he tweaked them

I'd go with b
>> Anonymous
OP you area lucky cunt.
When i went from 260 to 170 i had a shit load of stretch marks all over and my the lower part on the ab area it looked like some fucking rags or gelatin shit. you are a fucking lucky bastard. well at least i didnt got too many gyno.
>> Anonymous
>>413260
..EXACTLY what I was wondering
>> Anonymous
so is the answer 1hr a day of cardio is when you really started to see the improvement?!?!
>> Anonymous
1hr will lower your test levels, cut it down to like 30 minutes or do hiit
>> Anonymous
op again. i realize that i'm really lucky with the skin issues. there are some light stretch marks in some areas and some extra skin mostly in the abdominal region.
i couldn't tell you about the nipples, maybe the new apartment is colder?
i am 25
and yeah i think i got my fastest results at an hour of cardio, but i didn't do more than an hour very often.
i think honestly the hardest part of it was getting used to the new routine and lifestyle, then once i was accustomed to that it because a matter of just keeping it up and waiting for results. now that the weight is gone i will have a whole new set of goals.
>> Anonymous
Hey OP, grats on your progress. I have a quick question. Did you hit any plateaus during your weight loss? Like no weight loss for 2 months? What did you do to overcome them?
>> Anonymous
the only plateau was when i got used to my fast paced job so it wasn't a workout anymore and the elliptical didn't seem to do the trick. it only lasted a few weeks with no weight loss, and that is when i started running on trails.
>> Anonymous
Whoa nice effort, gj.

Getting in shape is possible, you fat fucks out there :)
