OP: agreed, I played union for 7 years before switching to touch, only protection I ever wore was lycra shorts under my kit..

What a gay question. Rugby >>> all sports.
>> Anonymous
Rugby is way harder work than American football, because after the game, all your Eurotrash teammates pound each others' asses in the shower-room for hours.

I think touch has a lot more in the way of hard sprinting, much less standing around.

Once again it's the Americans to come rescue you ignorant europeans from your idiocy. Bareknuckle boxing at first glance seems to be rougher than modern boxing, because of the lack of padding. But the lack of padding is what caused those BKB rounds to go to over 100 rounds without anyone scoring a knockout. With the introduction of gloves, boxers were now allowed to go full force in their punches without worrying about breaking their hands, leading to an increase in deaths and KO's. And the same holds true with American football. The protective equipment allows athletes to become bigger and stronger than their rugby counterparts, and deliver smashmouth contact not seen on the rugby field.

TL;DR - Rugby players are afraid of injuring themselves to deliver hits that American football players do regularly.

Amsterdam was in Europe, last I checked. Of course, all the fags there get beaten up by Muslims. Muslims: Europe's only real men.

Yeah, our prime minister is blind in one eye from a rugby match, and I know a guy who had to have a leg amputation due to a rugby injury...

Anywhere, I wanted to compare touch and soccer, I already know where I stand on american sports

I agree, your countries aren't even good enough to be on the same field as us.

Well baseball is basically rounders, and american football seems to be played in 30 second bursts so they can stop and have a breather..
>> Anonymous
>>200151

30 seconds in American football is equivalent to 30 minutes in european sports

>>200158
that's cause american players are all fatfucks.

Oh joy a decent question initially ruined by a fucktard american Troll, and then completely destroyed by fucktard euro and amerifags. gb2 /b/ dickheads.

I'd say Touch rugby is harder, but then football is much more fun IMO. So i guess it just depends on what your prefer OP.

I play touch and like it, I haven't played enough football to compare, I've only just "got" the appeal of watching it. Football doesn't look like it takes as much stamina; not that I think less of it for that, most football players would beat me for agility.
>> Anonymous
noone would ever play 2hrs of touch. a football match gets close to that length, however
>> Anonymous
>>200347
I do, though that includes waterbreaks, the length of which end to depend on how hot a day it is

soccer is gay
