For carbs, I get a multi-grain cereal (Rye, Barley, Oats and wheat) from Trader Joe's ($1.50 for like 10 servings, where 3 servings is usually what I eat each morning)

Also, I will eat 2-3 pieces of fruit a day (apples, oranges, grapefruit, etc), as well as 3-5 servings of vegetables. And, if your really want to get into it, almonds are very inexpensive for the amount of calories they hold, they also provide the good fat I listed, and a fair amount of carbs.
