Why is water so nasty? I mean water is tolerable if I'm outside and it's fucking hotter than Africa (that's a joke it can never be hotter than Africa) but if that's all there is to drink and I'm sweating more than Peter North after a money shot (that's another joke I could never sweat that much) I'll drink it. I need to change my life and drinking water is one of my goals. Is there anyway to make water taste better- yet still stay healthy?

Why are so concerned about drinking plain water? All the liquids you normally drink already contain water. Soda, juice, milk, coffee, tea, etc. What you need to worry about is sugar and fat in your drinks. Your body is fully capable of using the water in all those liquids.

Juice.

If you're super cautious about how much calories/sugar you take in, you could just not mix in as much as the directions say.

Maybe if you buy one of those filters that you put water from the tap in then let it cool down in the fridge as it filters, it'd taste better?

I think bottled water tastes like shit and I never drank water until I started drinking a bunch of juice.

OP> If you force yourself to drink it... you'll start to like it... assuming it's a pure source.

It was the same for me when I initially started making myself drink water. Now I seriously prefer it over almost anything else. Your body will begin to crave it after a while.

Do you live in a big city? I'm from a smaller town, myself, and I got an unpleasant surprise when I tried to drink the water after I moved up here. There's so many water treatment plants around here that the water has this nasty chemical taste. I drank a lot of Kool-aid before I got my filter.

Personally, I'd suggest getting a water-filter. Either a pitcher-model or one of those dealies that goes on your sink. Personally, I'd say get a pitcher, because the sink-models occasionally pressurize, which means you have to take them off, open and close the valve to release the pressure (spraying water everywhere...) and they're just a bitch to put back on once you've taken them off.
