Don't eat anything fried, don't eat any processed sweets, don't eat any snack foods aside from the occasional couple of crackers with tuna on them, don't drink anything that contains calories (no soda, no juice, no sugared coffee, water only, final destination), don't eat any carb that isn't from fresh produce of whole grain wheat.
DO eat: A lot of fiber, a lot of seafood, a lot of turkey/chicken BREAST (dark meat is more tender and fatty), a lot of low GI fruits (avoid bananas, for example, they're nature's sugar factory), tons of vegetables of any kind that are either steamed or grilled, very slight portions of lean red meat, brown rice, wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, OATMEAL, natural honey, very low sugar cereals like Fiber One, multivitamins.
Portion your meats to no more than eight ounces, preferably closer to four or five ounces. Couple with one serving of a whole grain carb and a vegetable. This is just an example meal.
Do cardio however you want, don't get caught up the people here who will tell you that HIIT is the ONLY option or that walking is not exercise. The only important thing is that you're getting 30 minutes to one hour or cardio a day in combination with your diet.
Make sure you get adequate amounts of ALL of your vitamins and minerals, most especially all of your B vitamins since your body does not have stores of them available, unlike fat soluble vitamins.
