Hey /fit/ Im trying to gain some wieght and really get into shape, so my question is how important is cardio and how much should I do?

Since Im trying to gain weight it doesnt make sense to do a lot since burning lots of calories would be counter productive amirite? Right now Ive just been doing 4-5 mins of jumping jacks to warm up before I do my push ups and crunches.

What would you recommend?

Cardio is always important for 1) heart health, and 2) fat burning. No matter how good your diet is, your body will always store some of it as fat. Consistent cardio keeps that extra stuff off.
