why, did you rape an man who practices acupuncture and as punishment you have to undergo it?
>> Anonymous
It doesnt work beyond the placebo effect.

There are mystical energy lines in your body and when you put a needle in it the energy flows and you're fit again? Seriously, noone can believe that.

There's a lot of theories about acupuncture that correspond to theories of pain. For example, one popular theory of pain is that it's a constant signal sent on an unmyelinated path into your spine that is usually overridden by a stronger signal sent on a myelinated path. Suppose a person has chronic pain: what if there were a way to stimulate the signal that is usually stronger than the usually weak pain signal? Many people with chronic pain have used it to some success. I cite the following scientific research studies and testimonies to back up my point:

lol Trolled.

Anyways. I don't think it works it's more of a placebo than anything

There are no mystical vessels in the body. We know what goes where. There is no science beyond the placebo effect involved.

It doesn't hurt and if it does, say something and they will re-do the needle.
It doesn't "work" if you are looking for mystical healing of any of the benefits they say it will give you.
It IS, however, an extremely relaxing experience, so I go once a month and wish I could go more often.

ive done it and i feel it works great.

i've heard it's the fastest way to recover in some injuries. but should not be depended on by lazy fucks, exercise and eat properly afterwards. the needles can go in about half a cm to a whole cm, depends.

I lold. Just in case you guys didn't know acupuncture targeting specific points on the body and acupuncture targeting points anywhere on the body have the same effect.

It proves one of two things, poking people with needles makes them feel better or it's a fucking placebo effect. I'm going to go with placebo effect.

acupuncture was invented by chinks to scam money from the white man.
they are secretly laughing at you when you go

Or maybe it does make them "feel" better without the placebo of healing an injury or alleviating a physical pain.

Acupuncture is relaxing as hell and I "feel" great after a half hour with the needles. But anyone expecting a targeted result is a fool.

It's the spiritual morons and Chinese traditionalists that promote all the false expectations. The former party have "healing" experiences on the toilet and the latter are just stuck on heritage.

I did this for cubital tunnel syndrome for about 3 months. Didn't do much. The best part of it was getting to chill out for 45 minutes. Yes it hurts a bit, depending on where the needles go, but it doesn't hurt THAT much.

Relax, at least until you see a recycled needle box. Acupuncture is like a pinpoint massage with more study and history than just about any other medical proceedure. It targets the pressure points of the body to release muscle tension.
