ok /fit/
yesterday i went for a 2 mile run without stopping.

all day today at school ive been having the WORST backpain ever.
i even took a painkiller and it didn't help at all.

can someone explain why my back is in such torment?

Body goes up, gravity pulls you down to hard surface, back compresses, repeat for 2 hours

I didn't run for 2 hours though, it doesn't take me that long to run a mile :|

Fuck, wasn't thinking

You get the idea though

And my suggestion is to find a better surface to run on next time

Newsflash: running gives you a great body and joint pain that will never go away unless you exercise your joints with compound anaerobic exercises as a decathlete/triathlete/pentathlete does (ie swimming and biking in addition to running).

Protip: swimming>running for giving you gain without pain

It's from running. Over time as you get in better shape it should go away.

Haha, same thing happened to me two days ago when I went running for two miles. Lower back hurt like a bitch but I ran yesterday and all was good.

My back never gets hurt from running too long. Check your posture, it might go awry when you get fatigued during your run.

I will admit though, my knees have seen some trouble from running.

if you want to run you have to have strong posterior chain and nothing beats the shit out of it like deadlift so start deadlifting son

Why has no one suggested stretching after OP's little jog?
Seriously.
