I've recently began to Change myself, been taking care of acme (sucked ass) and now im working on my body. And i was just wondering if (along with a decent diet) a good 14 mile bike ride twice a week is a good way to loose weight.

I'd ride on monday, wait till friday to ride it again. In between i'd do some intermediate riding (about 2-8) miles, and probaly some minor weight lifting.

So you think thats good enough to loose weight, if not then what are some good pointers.

ride more in a higher gear,
your body can take a lot more than 14 miles, I like to take along a camelback, I can push well over 50 miles in about 4 hours including breaks and eating. and thats all on a fixed gear

but I ride about 5 miles a day, every day. and go on big trips every weekend, in all I ride about 100 miles a week.

but it's really the diet that counts, high complex carb/protien and low fat/dairy/red meat died should do you well, also a good multi-v
