dear /fit/, last september, i was 140 pounds and up until that point my weight fluctuated only 5 or so pounds up or down. After my senior year, i am now 190 pounds. The weight is not the only problem, i find myself not being able to focus on anything and i tend to procrastinate on very important things. Right now i really want to lose some weight but i cant seem to motivate myself whatsoever.
what is wrong with me, /fit/?

op here, i'd like to elaborate on a few things.
there is a 1st stage in my life, where up until sophomore year, i was the model A+ honor roll student, all that bull.
The second stage after this, i got a girl, hair grew out, tended not to focus on school, ditched quite a few times, hormones RAGED!!!
and then now im in some sort of stage where i sense maturity and i realize all the things ive done wrong, and im back on the right path, but i have to live with the consequences of the second stage.
it's as if some switch got hit and i just cant focus anymore.

sounds like you have some deep seeded issues that you have to deal with and getting "JUST GO PUMP WEIGHTS BRO" advice isn't really going to do anything
if procrastination is a problem I would seriously start looking into it, because chances are you won't succeed on a fitness program because of it (procrastination isn't about leaving things to the last minute, it's about not doing things when they should be done, and not being able to focus on goals)
generally if you find procrastination a problem in it affects important aspects of your life (like you said), then you should tackle it immediately. procrastination is not the underlying problem, rather it's a sympton of the underlying problems of feeling overwhelmed, regret, lacking confidence and having doubt and insecurities about yourself and your future. get some books on it from amazon and read them. go online and google it. keep a procrastination log and ask yourself at the end of the day "why am i (not) doing this?". make an effort. start small. expect failure. keep going. become goal orientated.
once you get this under control and actually can commit to doing things when they should be done and have your mind clear and anxiety free then come back and ask how to lose weight. no control of your internal state = no control over your external affairs.

Thank you, /fit/, although in a very sardonic manner, your advice actually seems to have motivated me. It provided me with laughter and this weekend i hope to start by doing a lot of running, seeing as how it helps me clear my head.
(i would start tomorrow but i go to school from 8am to 8pm so no go)
