Because "dieting" is as simple as eating less calories? No. Many people can eat the same amount of food and still lose weight. Its not about eating less, its about eating right.

Actually most people who over eat and are over 22% body fat are just flat out eating too much. If they stop eating as much, they'll lose weight.

Dieting is as simple as eat less calories. Sure you could eat the same amount of food, weight wise, but it wont be the same calorically, otherwise you won't lose weight. A pound of hamburger and a pound of eggs weigh the same and fill you up the same, but the calorie count is different.
