Any help? Anonymous
Ok fit, need your advice/experience, I started my first cutting diet 4 weeks ago to lose some fat while still keeping as much muscle as possible,I set up a 5700-6000kj diet with a 50% carb 40% protein and 10% fat split, now thats a calorie defecit of about 750 calories a day, then combined with my 70mins of weight lifting I do daily usually equates to 1000 calore deficit per day, thus a 7000 calorie weekly defecit, which equally around about 2 pounds of weight (about 1kg) of weight los a week. But now 4 weeks along ive lost 10kg's going from 83.5kg's to 73.5kg's, I have no real idea why, i havent restricted my carb intake too sratically, neither my protein intake (have been eating very clean) exercise hasnt been that intense, generally about 280 calories a session, I know some of this must be water weight loss between 1-5 kg's but that still doesnt explain a 10kg weight loss.I alos have been drinking about 8 litres (about 2 gallons) per day.Any help here? I know its a strange thing to complain about, but I dont want to be losing so much so quickly, as alot of it must be lean muscle mass at that rate.

Hm. Eat more.

Haha yeah, sounds simple, but really at 5700-6000 kj's that should be a 750 calorie deficit, so It shouldnt be so drastic of a weight loss,Is it all just water weight loss? is that even possible?

No the waterweight should have adjusted itself completely for your new diet after a few days only. You're underestimating your metabolism, I guess. Eat less carbs--they rev up your metabolism too much.

Alright man, thanks for the advice, Im starting to think my use of lipo-6 and 200mg caffeine tabs has boosted my BMR far too high. Also the decrease in strength has been happening quite quickly gone from 4-6 reps (4 sets) of 90.6kg bb flat bench press to just 4 reps (4 sets) of 83.8kg.

Any else got any advice? Increase protein intake? Increase fat percentage of diet? All of it is just water weight loss and im delusional? My scales broke after the last time I weighed myself and now show 5kg's lighter?Im just being paranoid and need to eat MOAR?

Bump for ZOMG confusion.

If you're eating 6000 kcal and 40% of that is protein, then fuck dude, enjoy your liver damage. That's 600 grams a day, way above the healthy maximum.

HAHA I had to laugh at the 6000k/cal, no Im having 6000kj's (metric) I think thats around 1450 calories(prolly wrong).Unless I was phelps I prolly would be putting on about 2.5kg's a week at 6000 kcal.

i'd eat more fat personally but you sound like a faggot so go to hell.

Alright so bump it up to about 50% protein 30% carbs and 20% fat?
>> Anonymous
Well shoot. 1450 calories man? Way too fucking low, no wonder. 1000 cal deficit a day is no good, especially if you're working out like crazy. Up that shit to 1900 minimum, 40% protein, 20% carbs, 40% fat. Carbs toward morning, fats towards night, 5-6 meals a day etc. Takes time, man.

Alright, will bump up the intake, prolly shouldn't be getting a 750 calore deficit from nutrition alone, ill bump it back to a 500 calorie deficit and change the %'s, already been eating 6 meals a day. (1000kj max each)

What?

Yes, kill the caffeine. A boosted metabolism will turn to your muscle glycogen stores when it's looking for the boost where the dietary macros aren't there to supply it.

/sih suppose its about time I quit it, cant be too good for the heart, was gonna quit caffeine for when I started bulking so as not to highten my BMR and make it harder to gain, but i suppose the sooner the better, thanks for the advice man.
