So /fit/, when lifting weights do you count the weight of the bar?

Well yeah, it's part of the weight...It's also important to know the weight of the bar, so you know what you're lifting. Using a 40 pounds bar when you thought you were using a 45 pound sucks.

In my training log I can't be arsed, I just write what I need to put on each side (2X10kg for example, means two 10kg weights on each side). Works for me, especially when I'm so exhausted from SQUATZ that I can't count
Normally you don't count body weight on squats.... That would be silly. Michael moore would be able to squat 300 by that measurement.
Nope, it's part of the weight, but I don't really care that much about the weight as I do about getting bigger.
While benching, you drop the weight to your chest, thus it gains velocity, thus the power required to stop it is greater.
If you don't count the bar, you not counting 45 lbs of weight. Don't you think that's a lot?

Usually I only count additional plate weight for my daily routine, so I don't get confused. but when I record my 1RP I add the weight of the sled/bar.>>364315Sadly enough, Micheal Moore weighs 400 lbs.
