Chafing Anonymous
sup /fit/ wondering how you prevent chafing. I started walking / jogging about a month ago. My inner thigh is really chafing almost to the point where I want to stop until the redness/pain goes away. I want to continue but just wondering whats out there home remedy or otherwise that prevents this

I've had this problem alot. Wearing proper underwear seems to help. Powder never helped me but I've used some kinda stick (like a deodorant) during long marches in my army days and that helps a great deal. Vaseline is supposedly good as well.

Get underwear which fully covers inside of thighs all the time, not loose boxers or briefs

$20 for running shorts. They are basically tight fitting around the thighs, and you wear them over your underwear but under your shorts. The fabric is non-chafing and also clings tightly to your thighs where they would normally rub and chafe you. I used to have that same exact problem, once I got these things, never again.

Although sometimes I get nipple chafing.

Use vaseline. I used that too and it works fine.
For nipples chaffing I use small band-aid.

I run in sweat pants with no underwear. I never get chaffing.
