ITT: Track your progress of getting in shape.

Ran 2 1/4 miles today around the track at my school. Feels so good afterwards.

I swear, every time I run a lap I get winded as FUCK and just have to walk. I can't help it. Do you feel this way too and just push through it? I've never understood how people can just run like 20 miles. I can barely make one anymore.

Also, I'm 6'0 155

I did 30 min on the elliptical (at 12 setting-including upper body) and 30 min on treadmill (varying between 3.5 - 4.0) pretty much back-to-back.

I have to run 3 miles 3 times a week, but on my own time I run 4 miles every weekday.

OP Here

You're going to fast for your body to handle at the moment. Slow your pace down, do slower, and PUSH YOURSELF so fucking hard. And then it gets really easy. <_<

I remember when I first started running I was like you, 1 lap, gg no re. Just keep trying, and practice. Everyday, go out there and run, beating your previous.

I totally suck at actual running too. I can go forever on an elliptical (to the point wear I stop because I've been on the machine for too long, not because I'm tired), but I get winded ridiculously quickly when I run. I think my form must just really suck or something

Running is just harder on your body in general. It's that simple.

I don't understand your anger.

It does seem hard on your body to do 4 miles a day though.

The quicker marines get worn down the better. Doesn't matter if they get shot do to their shit ass training, or they destroy themselves with excess exercising or other stupid marine shit, the sooner they're off the payroll the more money can be spent on the real Army.
