Hey /fit/ any of you ever done the P90X exercises or followed through a full program. I'm going to start mine tomorrow when I have finally finished acquiring it. Any tips on it and is it particularly difficult?
>>137766I've never tried any of them, but I have watched a bit of some of the videos. It'll make you work up a sweat, at the least. I can't vouch for the intensity, having never performed any of it.
>>137768Well I've got an alright body at the start. Like the way my body is shaped is ideal for gaining muscle and I have a high metabolism I eat about 3500 calories a day and lose weight ever so slightly (I know too much but I love junk food, but I will cut it out) so it should be good.
>>137773Then do it for a while. Come back when you've collected the data. We look forward to your report on subject P90X.
It does produce results but it really depends on how much work you put into it. A lot of the exercises are based around time rather than a set number and you do a a lot of reps. Usually after you complete a set of exercises, you have to do another set. The average disc takes about a hour to do. When I first started, I would feel fine after the workout but be aching for the next two days. Just remember to pace yourself.
Another thing I would recommend is as you start to get used to doing one dvd workout a day, try to do 2 different workouts a day(I recommend to do the Ab Ripper X dvd after the initial workout for the day).
I followed the P90X program last year, do not even think about attempting it if this is your first time working out, it's pretty intense but the results come thick and fast.
