2)I get cramps easy.. is there any way to avoid that?
3)How far should I run the first time?

1) try to lift weights at least 3 times a week (monday, wednesday, friday is good) run as often as you can
2) not really, it'll stop once you get in better shape, it doesn't take all that long
3) try to get like 3 miles (it'll probably take a while, who cares) run as much of it as you can, then walk till you catch your breath and can run again.

1)i'm assuming dumbells? if you're looking for only weight loss and tone and don't care about strength or gaining muscle, do 3 to 5 sets of 12-15 (if you can, but thats not too much weight so i'll assume you can)
3) 3 miles isn't that much, you can walk an entire mile in like 15 minutes.

you'll only start burning up fat after about 30 minutes of cardio (doing it after lifting weights will have you burning fat a lot sooner because you'll have used up most of your body's available energy thats not stored in fat)

also running first thing in the morning before you've eaten will burn more fat because your body doesn't have as much energy available.

You start burning stored energy after 90 seconds of an accelerated heartrate, which is measured in calories. Assuming you didn't eat 600-800 calories of food right before you started to run, most of that energy comes from stored fat.

Most experts recommend 20-30 minutes of high intensity cardiovascular activity, or 30-60 minutes of medium level cardio exercise to burn a decent noticeable amount of fat each day (noticeable as in, after 2 weeks you'll notice a difference).

Results may vary, as long as your sweating your fat ass off, and not eating an assload of food all at once, the pounds will come off. Stay away from saturated fat (see: mcdonalds food) as much as possible.

Trust me, unless your pounding on double cheese burgers like I was, there isn't much you need to change from your normal diet. Heres two things:

1. Cut soda, completely. It'll take 3 days to get over, and you'll feel worlds better after you stop drinking it. I did, I don't regret it.
2. Stop stoping for fast food. I work at mc. donalds and I can tell you, people who eat fast food are fat. And its no wonder, I remember reading a nutrition fact label for a bigmac, its something like 1100 calories for the sandwich itself (yikes!)

If you can manage those two, you don't need to eat any healthier, seriously.

Unless you have some super speed metabolism, you will NOT lose weight on dieting alone. You need to do cardio like I said before.

Whenever I have jerky it just passes right through. Anyone know what kinds of preservatives are in those things? Inquiring minds want to know.
