Does anyone else here experience palpitations and hyperventilating during heavy lifting sessions. I get them pretty bad while doings squats and deadlifts.

If you know anyone at the gym have them monitor your breathing patterns while your doing squatz/deadliftz. Both of them put a huge tax on your cardiovascular system. If you don't breath properly while doing them, then you could raise your blood pressure and cause hyperventilating.

Strange. My heart rate is still a little high than usual an hour after the deadlifts. I do have a history of stress/anxiety induced tachycardia (rapid heart rate) but i don't feel stressed when i'm lifting weights :(
