does anyone do SQUATZ at home, outside of a gym?

I don't belong to a gym but I have bars and weights and do my lifting at home. Squats are a problem though, because I don't have anything like a squat rack.

Currently I am deadlifting the weight off the floor, then using momentum to bring it up over my head and rest it on my back.

I imagine that this isn't very safe, and It keeps me from being able to squat heavy amounts of weight.

What do people do who squat at home to get around this problem? And no, I don't have the money or the space for a giant fucking ugly ass squat cage sitting in my apartment.

i have a weight bench that detaches from the rack and the rack forms a u so that it's stable. i squat with that. do not continue doing what you're doing. that shit will get you fucked up.

Overhead squatz or get strong enough to clean and jerk the weight then lower to your back

You can't just get the stand instead of the whole squat rack.

yes you cant lift nearly enough weight with that shit.
Since you dont want a squatrack. Go to a fucking center or dont do squatz

Just go to a fucking gym faggot, noone is gonna laught at you because you are skinny/fat.

And don't tell me it's to expensive. A proper squatrack, pullup bar and enough weights and dumbbells to keep you going (In one or two years you could be deadlifting 140kg) costs a lot more.

Training at home = FAIL unless you have a lot of room and money for proper equipment, when is /fit/ gonna finally learn?

Yeah I love waiting for curl monkeys to get out of the squat rack and then having people ask me how long I have to go while eyeing the rack like a pack of hyenas.

$$$$ is NOT the only way to get fit and strong. no need to pay for a gym or super expensive equipment. I just price a squat rack for $650!!! but it is nice.

I like one suggestion in one of the links posted here:
power clean from the floor (DUH) then front squat, then reverse the clean. cannot really drop the weight at home can you?

You asked what I do at home though:
put weight on bench. sit facing the bar. bend under it and get the weight to my shoulders. sit up and then stand. I then squat till my ass JUST touches the bench and back up. It adds a small amount of safety since is you fail you can just sit onto the bench rather than fall. Just bend over forward to rack the bar.

me and my workout buddy are in the same major (architecture) and the uni's shop is almost always open with cheap materials - we built a power rack out of angle iron and steel tubing. pretty cool bro's.
