So, um. I don't eat a lot. Like, yesterday I ate maybe 300 calories worth of a chicken salad and then I had a raw potato sliced up with salt on it later. And one diet pepsi with the salad. That's all I consume on any given day, just substitute those foods with anything similar in portion of calories. I'm not like anorexic...I'll admit I'm underweight, but I pretty much feel natural with my diet. I'm never hungry, so I think if I eat plenty. If I wasn't eating enough, I'd feel hungry more often.

So...is there a problem with my diet? I just got into a big fight with my mom about it last night cause she got all pushy for me to eat more when I was totally fucking full. Like, as in...I would have thrown up if you made me eat any amount of food. But then I really did sit down and think about it and I'm eating like on average 25% of what a "normal" diet is supposed to consist of in terms of calories. But I never feel hungry...so does that mean I am eating enough? I mean, there have been days where all I've eaten was like a yogurt or an apple and I still felt totally fine all day. Do you think my body will eventually just make me eat more or something as I get older (21 and female btw).

Oh, another thing. I have this weird fetish for raw potatos (like I said earlier, I ate one as a snack). My friend Jo thinks I will get worms or something from eating them raw, but it doesn't seem any different to me than eating a raw carrot or a raw piece of fruit. Is she just being stupid or should I really not them raw -_-

Divide your meals up, nigra.

Instead of one big meal, three medium meals, or six small meals.

That's fucking dieting basics. Dumbass.

OH ALSO; Eatin potatos raw is accually the healthiest way to eat them. You won't get works.

PROTIP: 1 out of 4 Adults already has intestinal worms and doesn't know it. Seriously, look that shit up.

Raw potato contains solanine, a glycoalkaloid poison found in species of the nightshade family, such as potatoes. It can occur naturally in any part of the plant, including the leaves, fruit, and tubers. It is very toxic even in small quantities.

And it sounds like there is something wrong with you, regarding your appetite. Go to a doctor before you die.

And what will that even do, dumbass? That has nothin to do with what I posted.

I'm asking what the hell is wrong with eating "too little" if it keeps you full all the time? If I eat and feel full...I won't eat until I'm hungry again. So am I just supposed to stuff myself until I'm eating "enough"? That sounds stupid.

OP, bitch, you are going to DIE. But the good news is you won't have worms, unless you already have them.

So you eat a meal.

At which point you become full.

Until you are hungry again.
What's the problem?

P.S. DEAD!

Because people won't shut up about it IRL. It never stops with like "Oh is that all you're eating honey?" or "Why did you only eat half that piece of chicken?"

And I tell them to screw off because I feel full. But then they keep telling me that is not enough calories. I dunno, just figured I'd ask you people and see what you thought.

>I'm eating like on average 25% of what a "normal" diet is supposed to consist of

actually, more like 7%. you're seriously malnourished. try to gradually increase the amount of food you eat, also like anon previously said, divide up your meals.

I've said it already. Please see a doctor about your appetite. If you tell your family you are seeing the doctor about it they might STFU and leave you alone.

The doctor will then either:

Say there is something wrong with you, and fix you. Great.

The doctor will say there isn't something wrong with you, and you can tell your friends and family to STFU for good.

The doctor will say you have a terminal illness from eating all that raw potato.

well okay, maybe i exaggerated a little, it's 7% of what i'm eating now, since i'm a pretty bad hardgainer i have to eat a LOT. maybe gradually increase the food you eat till you get to 2000 calories?

I think I might just say this to my mom or friend the next time I hear their speech. But I'm gonna tell them if they want to found out IF something is actually wrong with me, they're paying for the doctor's visits.

Still not quitting raw potatoes! They are delicious.

>>82058

Yeah, but I don't like work out aside from jogs. Plus I doubt I'm equal height as you and most likely you are a male, which I think just takes more calories naturally.

>>82059

Ok...I still don't see WHY.

This is 82059. Seriously, dividing up your meals is a very healthy thing to do. Same thing as evjoying roughly a gallon of water a day. If you, say, eat a quarter of a salad in the morning, afternoon, and then dinner with that last quarter as a snack somewhere, you will find yourself hungrier more often. After a while you'll move up to a half a meal, etc etc blah blah.

As for the water thing I said, you're probably scratchin yer pretty head wondering what I mean. The gist of it is, the less water you drink, the more of said water is stored in your ass, hips and thighs for use later incase you start starving [like you are]. Drink moar water, and the stored water gets flushed out through your piss, and your body metabolizes better because of the increased hydration, which in turns ALSO makes you hungrier moar often.

PS woman-degrading terms and slurs go here.

eat less...do you think any man could love your fat ass? dont eat any more than 400 calories/day. also try running 30 mins/day or biking 60 mins/day.

Now for some serious advice.

You definitely have a problem. I used to be in the same boat. I was a skinny fuck, and wanted to gain weight, but I found that my appetite was basically non-existent. I could fit in about 2 small meals a day, and maybe some snacks here and there, but that was about it. Over time, I decided that enough was enough, and that I would try to add more to each of my meals. Slowly, I managed to increase my appetite to the point where I would be able to eat as much as my friends or family, and even feel hungry often throughout the day. It may take some time, and you might feel disgustingly full the first few times, but stick with it and your appetite should soon increase. Try to eat as often as possible, but not in the sense that you're eating something every single minute; more in the sense of "try your best to eat something, even a snack around the size of a bowl of cereal or a small sandwich, every two hours (or when you feel comfortable enough to eat; the sooner the better)."

At least go to a doctor or nutritionalist and have them do blood work to see if you're getting enough nutrients, or if you have a tapeworm or something. Lack of appetite doesn't necessarily mean you're full or you have enough nutrients. What medications are you taking? Any anti-depressants or birth control something? That can cause lack of appetite, and in that case you DO need to eat more (and very healthfully) even if you are just absent of the sensation of hunger.

You ARE eating very, very little. Better safe than sorry. Talk to your doctor.

If you force yourself to eat multiple small, well-proportioned, healthy (NO FAST FOOD. EVER. NO SODA. EVER. Water and juice only, as milk doesn't have nearly as much calcium as green veggies.) meals three or six times a day, eventually you will realize that it is HABIT that is causing you to not feel full. Your body is in starvation mode. You got into the habit of not eating much because you are either 1. easily distracted or 2. very stressd or 3. taking medication that removes your hunger pangs unnaturally. You need to get into the habit of eating enough again, and then your body will turn your hunger pangs back on. If you never feed yourself, or body is eventually just going to hoard what it DOES get in nutrients as fat (and convert them later, slowly, because it thinks you are just starving, not 'full'). As someone said, you may feel disgusted at first, but that's the feeling of your stomach finally being full, which it's not used to.

Just keep at it and see a doctor if after a month or two, you just CANNOT get over eating that much.

This. Drink LOTS of water and juice, eat as many green veggies and whole grain (Kashi is good) foods you can stomach, and eat one or two meals a day with a fist-sized portion of meat. Walk everywhere you can feasibly walk. You WILL start to feel hungry and you will stop being bloated or "full" all the time because your body is no longer in starvation mode.
