hey /fit/

I was doing some CURLZ today and before I could finish all my sets, I started getting a painful pop in my left elbow every time I lifted beyond a certain point. This has also happened to me in the past with my wrist while benching.

Why is this happening? Bad form or am I just a pussy with girl joints? Should I just start doing more wrist exercises (if so, how do I workout my ... elbow?) Should I drink more milk? Halp.

I stopped at curlz.

err just to clarify, I wasn't getting a pop in my wrist while benching, rather I had to stop because of wrist pain. It's annoying because I know my muscles can take more, but my joints are holding me back.

you need to stop doing any exercise that involves your elbow and start icing it twice a day for 20 mins.

try some curls after a week of rest and if the problem has gone away you probably have nothing to worry about. If not, ask for an ultrasound or other equivalent test of the area, you dont want to fuck around with your joint health

also any repetitive motion you do with your arm may be causing your joint pain, so if you're wacking off a lot, cut back.

I agree with this post. Also, taking 500-1,500 mg of Glucosamine over the next few weeks and then every other day in small dosages (300-400 mg) would also be a good idea.

Also, "Why is this happening?" : Bad form is the only reason that it would happen. Work on your form in the future with somebody who knows more than you and can make sure you're doing it well.

I wank with my right arm though, and it was my left that was hurting. But i'll avoid doing exercises that involve it for a while. More time to do SQUATZ i guess.

yea... bad form makes sense... I guess. But it started happening with curls, which are kind of hard to screw up... so I'm a bit suspicious.
