Sup, /fit/.

I come here on my moms behalf. She wants to lose weight, especially her wobbly underarms.

Here's some info about her;

56 years old, 151 lbs.
She wants to lose another 20 pounds.
Very little muscle at this point.

I coached her in some basic exercises and she can do squats and lunges and other basic stuff with some 5 lb dumbells. She wants to be healthier in general, and she's been eating a pretty good diet (no junk or fast food, lots of veggies, fruit, and lean meats).

Any advice for an older woman to get into shape?

cardio to lose muscle. HIIT if she can do it.
diet of course. no soda, juices. Just water and milk.

Weights, if she wants she can do some.

Tell her not to be afraid of weights, they won't make her OMFG BUFF right away.
