I am thin with little muscle or fat, but I want to get thinner, specifically in my legs.
(don't judge me on this preference of mine, it's no business of yours)

Would running for an hour in the morning BEFORE BREAKFAST burn leg muscles since I don't have any calories in me for energy? Would the body have to burn reserve energy in the form of muscle (as I have very little fat)? I'm basically asking if you burn down your muscles when doing cardio in a calorie vacuum.

And if so, does running for an hour after a long sleep and before breakfast constitute a 'calorie vacuum'? Would this be effective?

Running after an 11-12 hour fast is the best time to burn calories from fat. So dinner at 6pm, then nothing at night, and run at 5-6am before you eat. Can't remember the source, but I'll link it if I find it. Probably an article on t-nation.

if you really want to burn all you muscle away stop eating and work the shit out of your body. You will not have any protein or carbs for your body to rely on and if you are as thin as you say you are as soon as your fat is gone your body will start to cannibalize your muscle. 1) Out of pure curiosity, how long would I wait to see effects? And how long would it take, after returning to regular living, to see the effects reversed?

2) Are atrophied muscles intrinsically different than regular muscles, or are they only smaller? Like is there a chemical released or some shit? I don't know.

3) On the subject of muscle GROWTH, does protein consumption matter before or after the exercise takes place, and what are the time constraints?

Try to burn about 600-800 calories a morning, ya know, doing whatever. Skip breakfast and don't eat lunch until you feel fabulously famished! No sweets or meats for you sugar pie, just stick with a lite salad - and don't touch those crackers honey bun! For dinner have a mulit-vitamin and a couple cups of water. And finally, Princess, try to sleep at least 10 hours a night.

i hate it when people say that. what makes you think you can tell me whether i can judge you or not? we all make judgments about everything we see, and nothing you say will change that

and no, the body only breaks down muscle quickly when it is in starvation mode (muscle atrophy normally over time, but if you want to destroy muscle quickly you need to do something else.) The best way to get your body to start behaving as though it is starving is to do just that - starve.
reduce your calorie intake dramatically. You need to eat foods that will quiet your hunger so that you will be able to stick to the plan but at the same time be almost empty of energy. You also need to make sure that you get vitamins and minerals so that you will not develop diseases.
eat primarily roughage (lettuce, kale, spinach, etc.) and other vegetables because they have low calories to volume. You will need to eat fruit to get vitamins. Eat some small amount of dairy for energy. Stay away from carbs, they have too many calories.
