Hello, /fit/

What's your opinion on meal replacement shakes?

I'm a poor college student and I have absolutely zero time in the day to make food for myself, seeing as how my program is ridiculously labor intensive. Most of the times I manage to spring for some fast food (yes, I try to be health conscious about my choices), but other times, especially in the morning, I just end up going hungry.

I've recently decided to start buying meal replacement shakes and drinking those on the go. I never exceed 4 a day, and they seem to keep me alert and full on their own.

Am I going to regret doing this? It just seems so much more convenient to just drink a few bottles a day and not have to worry about stopping to get a meal somewhere.

So I saw an interview just now with Phelps on TV.. apparently he eats like 4 egg muffins for breakfast, a whole pizza for lunch and a pound of pasta for dinner... what the fuck.... how does he eat this much and have 1% body fat...

does he swim like intensely for 10 hrs a day or something?

or does he actually since he's like the ultimate olympian now? :x
