So, I'm heading to the gym tomorrow and am looking to load up on energy. So I'm thinking of a pasta and chicken-based meal. Thing is, I have no idea when the optimal time to eat is.When I work out I eat high-protein stuff about 4 hours beforehand and when I gym I do the same with high-energy stuff, but how long before a planned regime should I eat? I'm not sure whether to eat before I sleep or eat before I go. Any suggestions?
Eat before you go, like two hours before.You're going to need energy to see you through the workout. So eat before, then eat after.
