sup /fit/

i dont venture around these parts much but ive recently taken up a quest to lose weight and get in shape

anyways so far this is what ive been doing

diet:
breakfast - usually an apple or some other fruit
lunch - half a 12 inch from subway veggie delight with everything including spinach and only mustard no cheese on wheat
dinner - usually wheat pasta with vegetables and sometimes tuna
after dinner - the other half of the veggie sub
sometimes i may throw in a couple rye crackers or extra fruit, so far ive done a good job of staying away from junk food

i only drink water with one glass of milk for dinner

Well, two things from my honest oppinion. I'm a heavy guy too, currently on my way dieting and working out. What you have going is good for you, keep up with it. Its really good to keep motivated.

Don't get discouraged if you don't lose that much weight coming up to February. Thats alot of pounds to drop in very little time, and doctors would consider it unhealthy to drop that quickly. Keep with a gradual weight loss, and alot of your weight is going to be turned into muscle, so don't be disappointed when you gain muscle mass.
The good thing about gaining muscle mass is that it increases your metabolism, which in the long run helps you burn calories. Keep your chin up and just don't get discouraged, don't overwork yourself, and don't criticize yourself every week for not losing enough pounds.

you're following a bad diet plan.

Breakfast should be the largest meal - oats in skim milk+egg white+banana+apple
for lunch get a salad instead of a sandwich, you need to avoid the bread
dinner should be tuna/chicken breast + soup
snack on fruits in between

NO CALORIES FROM LIQUIDS. no milk/soda/juice.only water
since you're 340 pounds, aim to consume around 2300 cals per day.

umm real men eat meat..and eat some more fiber too....MEAT IS A FUCKING VEGATABLE TOO GODDAMNIT just don't cover it in fucking carbohydrates(batter, too much sauce) learn to appreciate hot sauce it is your new best friend put it on meat cook the meat with a light spray of pam....any meat....lean hamburger, chicken, steak, ground turkey, turkey.........just no fucking hot dogs and sausages(turkey sausage might count as a veg) and bacon are the only three meats that don't count as vegetables....also low fat cottage cheese/eggs count as vegetables from now on too.....fucking low fat cottage cheese with a side of ground flax now thats a healthy snack.......

I call bullshit on the diet.
Here's mine.

Breakfast:
-3 slices of toast(toast sized, no butter)
-A heaped bowl full of Nutri-Grain(made with wheat, whole-grain and fruit filling and probably a shitload of sugar)
-1 or 2 Banana's

Morning tea:
-An apple, pear and a muesli bar.

Lunch:
-Four halved sandwhiches generally consisting of Lettuce, Tomatoes, and some decent helping of a deli-meat, possibly mayonaise, cheese etc.

Afternoon Snack:
Apple and a Mandarin

Dinner: (Generally two plate helpings)
Steak/fish and veges
or a Stir fry
etc

After dinner snack:
Possibly more dinner, chips or something.

Drinks:
-A coffee a day
-A lot of water, usually a bottle's amount with a meal
-Orange juice
-Maybe a glass of milk between meals or with lunch (Have enough with cereal already)

I weigh about 170 and it sustains me, and it's no special diet I planned, simple food, tasty.
Occasionally I get pretty ravenous.

I have no idea how you sustain yourself on what you're eating.
