DOnt know how to effectively utilize it. Help /fit/?

Want to know how to start up & also how many times to use it. Also wondering if its good even on days I dont lift (I walk 15mi to & from work & also am a cartboy) wondering if creatine would benefit me in these aspects

creatine is gay. be all natural. don't just lift to look good.

If your already tubby, i wouldn't reccommend taking it, but it definitely helps your workouts. I take about a spoonful post workout (5 g). Some reccommend that you take it pre and post workout, but the truth of the matter is that after about 1-2 weeks of taking creatine either way, your muscles reach peak creatine stores. Any creatine intake after that point is simply maintenance of this peak level. Having peak levels of creatine in the body helps with recovery, strength, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

Some people go on a splurge when they first get it to get to the peak level quickly, but its unneeded. Take 5g a day post workout and youll be fine.

I haven't really started a hardocre workout regiment yet, but when i do I will be most likely taking it every day. Just remmeber that if your already fat, it may worsen the water weight.

creatine is natural dumbfuck. its in all the meat you eat.

that trans fat you eat however when your chomping on the disgusting shit you eat, THAT is unnatural.

Go eat niggershit. All natural bodybuilding is fucking retarded. No need to go on the roids, but protein supplementation and using creatine monohydrate help you realize gains faster. I'll gain what you do in half the time, and, in the end, your muscles will be no better than mine in any measurable way.

plus creatine has been shown to have other health benefits. eating pounds of half cooked beef has that unwanted side effect of cholesterol and the shits, no?

i use it tiwce on training days - half an hour before and just after training - that's 5 gr + taurine +dextrose

on nontraining days i take it once - 5 gr +taurine+dextrose

also - loading phase is bullshit - google for further refenrence

I'd rather enjoy lifting and seeing results without any extra supplements.

Then do it. Then you can be the guy that adds "and I did it without any supplements" at the end of every sentence asking you to explain yourself. Watch the looks on people's faces. A small subset of people will be impressed. The rest won't give a shit.

Agreed. Spending 2x the time at the gym means less free time to do things I actually greatly enjoy.

ok here's an actual answer.

LOADING PERIOD- 4 days
take the daily dose 4 times per day. you are saturating your cells with extra creatine that you'll need later. PROTIP: Creatine will pull extra water into your cells so drink lots of it during the first couple of weeks.

SUSTAINING PERIOD: Ongoing.
take the full dose AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY. This is essential. A good think to do is keep a baggie of it in your car and bring bottled water of gatorade if you think you'll be staying out of the house that night. if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can and RE-LOAD the next full day. no excuses.

you will not necessarily experience real gains at first. you'll gain size, sure, but a lot of it is from the water flooding your muscles. what creatine will do is allow you to work out longer without getting as tired, thus increasing gains.

ok there..any more questions?

bullshit. its been proven time and again that the loading phase is completely unneeded. In addition, tests have been done with the participants taking minimal doses of creatine (2.5g - 5g) a day for a month. Peak levels were reached within two days. In addition, the participants stopped taking creatine after the month. Creatine stores remained at peak levels for another 2 weeks i believe. So that means you dont need to reload like you say.

correction, sorry, peak levels were reached in two weeks.

my scenario was based on someone who lifts 3-4 times per week. also, re-loading wont do anything bad to you; excess creatine just won't be matabolized. i used to re-load just to give myslef a guilt trip for forgetting and to get my ass back in there so i didn't waste a quad helping of the product.

right right, that makes sense than. excess creatine surely doesnt hurt but its still a waste lol.
>> Anonymous
but with all the extra creatine in your system your body will burn out more creatinine, and isn't that bad for your liver?

I would assume the main substance is arginine. maybe some coffein and others.
It'll give you a small energy boost.

OP here

Yeah im living on my own & its cheaper to just buy a bunch of eggs, yogurt, & cottage cheese for me. Meats too expensive (god I love that shit) & dont eat much tuna cuz of mercury.

Im just taking it to help me with because of how my work involves labor & in addition I also workout so I cant be too sore or weak the next day or I feel like shit

Im not tubby im average. actually since I use my legs alot my legs are pretty muscular & arms are just toned (veiny but not buff)

Yeah ill be sure to just use 5g a day then. Any more helpful tips?

At my gym I have everyone mix a creatine drink while they're working out, usually drink 1 20oz per 2 hour work out. It's not the best for bodybuilding but it does get assorbed into the muscles quicker and make for faster recovery. Also just easier this way.
