hay /fit/, I'm a weeaboo shut-in NEET who gets little to no exercise.
I've gained weight in the past from drinking to much soda etc and never really lost it since I don't do anything or go anywhere.
I've switched to water and tea and dropped soda altogether but I am still not getting any exercise.

advise how to stay active and what exercise to do for a shut-in.

dude u have to get exercise to lose weight, just cutting out bad foods wont help.
exercise, sweat, get moving, that will help alot.
Jog or play a sport dude, if you ever want to lose weight u have to keep urself motivated

Pretty easy. If you're completely sedentary, don't even bother trying to jog. Find yourself a treadmill and set it to an incline that you can maintain. Technically, you should try to reach a target heart rate of (230 - your age) *.7, but do whatever you can for about 45 minutes per session. Start out at 3 times a week and move up to...hell, every day if you can manage it.

If you have no access to a treadmill...Iunno...jumping jacks? tae bo? Just try to hit that target heart rate and stay there for 45 minutes.

It would help to know how much you weigh and whats your height.
Best thing I could recommend for you is pretty much what>>5160said

Just cut the bad foods and start lightly working out you should start to see results especially if you keep upping the intensity.

the guy who recommended treadmill and jumping jacks seems to have taken the fact that I'm a shut in into account.

Try to incorporate simple exercises into your tv/pc time. I used to do sit-ups whenever I spent excessive time on the PC, just set up a lil bench in front of the comp.

Im a neet as well, anyways what I do is usually watch a tv show while I do my exercise, do exercise that you like, if you really hate running get a stationary bike.

Also if you watch alot of anime try watching sports related anime to get you in the mood, my favorite Hajime No Ippo (Boxing Anime)

Jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups, leg lifts, etc. Really anything to get the heart rate up.

There are several things that you can do in your room on the floor besides you chair, and the idea is to ACTUALLY DO THEM because anything is better than sitting on your chair. The only problem is it gets boring so put on some inspirational music like the GL soundtrack and it will help you become Ryu in no time.
