Are potatoes good/bad for you? Everything I read is always 100% contradictory. "potatoes are the best thing you can eat!" "potatoes will kill you". I am focusing on losing weight, and I am wondering if they are appropriate to add into my meals. gogo anon wisdom

i lost a lot of bodyfat when i substituted pumpkin for potatoes and cut out pretty much all starch as well. i am carb intolerant though so hay.

also, i wasn't even fat. maybe 12%.

so i figure if you're loosing weight, do without. and drop the wheat products and rice as well.

potatoes are full of carbs, e.g. energy and vitamins.
nothing wrong so far.

not really. pumpkin is quite different to the other foods i listed. look it up. it is awesome stuff.

no. it works really well. wheat is also a major source of allergies and exacerbates physical inflamation. you just eat it all the time so you don't know how good it feels when you don't.

here's a trick. get up in the morning and eat a whole lot of toast. see how you feel two hours later. if you're drowsy at 10am, then wheat is not a food your body likes. but you've probably been eating all your life so you don't know any better.

carbs themselves are not a vitamin. and the trick with europeans is that they're not always that well carbohydrate adapted. carbohydrate adaption is a scientific fact, and effects certain large groups of the worlds population. people accept lactose intolerence and the reasons why but don't realise that it applies to the more complex forms of carbohydrates in other foods.

also, excessive carbohydrate intake is now thought to be a leading factor in western obesity.

it cracks me up when people jump up and down and say shit like 'complex carbs!' and 'don't eat fruit they are just teh sugarz!'.

also, i think you guys are a bunch of monkey cocks.

Carb sensitive people are in the minority. And you try running a marathon on a very-low/zero carb diet and get back to me.

potatoes are high GI carbs, aka the shittiest carbs you can possibly consume

Better than bread, just don't eat lots of them.
