Fatties and jogging Anonymous
sup /fit/

I am a chubby guy at 213.4 pounds and 6' 2" tall. Since January I have been going out for a run every other night. I started out just walking for 30 minutes, then steadily increasing the amount of time spend running.

Right now I'm at a stage where I run for about 3-4 minutes, then walk at a brisk pace for 6-8, rince repeat for about half an hour.

The problem is my knees aren't coping with my weight, possibly because I haven't exersized in years and the muscles have deteriorated somewhat.

What is the best aproach in my situation? Should I be doing resistance training on my knees before I move onto more aerobics?

Actually, if hese that tall hes not so fat. Run, than jog, than go for a brisk pace. At home do some stretches before going out and when your not running at night jog in place for a while.

stretch for 5 min about 20 min or so before yuo plan on going out, and then stretch for 10 min imediatly after to cool down.

you could also try using an elliptcal machine or getting sneakers with an "anti heel"

Cycle or swim. Fatties should never start with running/jogging; with bad form even thin people can damage their knees doing it.

And if he can't exercise, he can't get rid of the manboobs. Also, I'm pretty sure he's not coming to your house and using your pool. Get over yourself, you pea-testicled roid-ass.

the ultimate answer is low impact cardio machines like an elliptical or a bike. you don't need to be running. you should diet-- losing weight is like 70% diet. eat 1 less big mac combo a day for two weeks and you'll shed a lot of weight. but the answer is that your knees don't want to support your fat body with a pounding motion, so after you've lost a ton of weight, start running, but not before...

fatty runner here. Don't run on sidewalks, the concrete is unforgiving to your joints. Run on asphalt(aka the road) at least. A high school track or just plain old grass is optimal, and I believe the treadmills at the gym are also easy on the joints.

I run on a threadmill for 10 minutes at 9 kmph (eurofag), but by then im glad its over because my knees and heels start to protest pretty badly. I can go on stamina wise, but its my knees giving me problems. Could be because I have a very slight case of x legs, but im gonna try different shoes, some that are specialized for running. (right now I use flat-soled shoes)

If you want to burn fat you can also consider cycling. I go to the gym on my biccycle wich is already a 20 minute ride and offcourse a great warmup.

give it up, fattie. thats your best approach. you'll spend 30 years losing maybe 6 pounds because you're an unmotivated fucktard with no hope or self control.
