Two real reasons:
1. Speedy loss is usually from some sort of fad diet, meaning the person will go back to their old ways, gain the weight back, and begin to yo-yo or just stay fat.
2. Losing too much "weight" too quickly usually means you're losing fat and muscle, not just fat. There is a limit to how much fat you can burn off in a week and its in relation to your body composition, but its somewhere between 2 and 8 pounds.
