If your squatting heavy enough it will effect your whole body pretty much, you should feel completely wiped afterwards. What sort of grip are you using though? I find that close 'hands near to shoulders' grip does that to my arms as well, cos its an unatural position, which is why i go much wider with my grip. Im not sure it matters at all but the close grip does make squatting a little safer, but if yourve been doing it for 4 months you should be fine going to a wider grip.
