So is this any good?

I got it today and got just on the obese thing on my BMI. I was 98kg with a height of 178cm. What I am asking is should I do this with my cardio I have started to do for 40-50 mins a day. Also I am possibly going to be buying some weights in the next 2 weeks.

Anyone?

Have you tried out yet? Did it make you sweat and increase your heart rate?

It isn't accurate, but a fun way to exercise in the house.

Only just done the introduction will be using it later tonight since I have been really busy this afternoon. Wondering if any /fit/ness experts approve of this as a way to exercise.

it's a vidja gaem about keeping fit, don't take it too seriously and you'll enjoy it fine.

If this encourages fatasses to get off their butt and cardio for 50 minutes, then it's the worlds greatest invention.

i can see a really obese person getting a lot of benefit from using this. for someone who is, i dunno 3-40 lbs over weight, you might just want to do normal exercises and then build form there. i can't imagine the wiifit would get your heart pumping that much.

>i can see a really obese person getting a lot of benefit from using this
If said obese person can get over the fact that just because a game doesn't let you shoot people doesn't make it shovelware.

If I had a wii, I'd definitely use this.

description of /v/ right here.

98KG isn't obese. Put on some muscle and drop some fat you idiot. Wiifit isn't going to do shit for you. Hit the gym and start tossing back the protein.

Going outside and running is better.

> James Mitchell, Esquire magazine's fitness columnist and top London trainer, puts Wii Fit through its paces.

> Ultimately then, is Wii Fit worth the money if you're planning on bumping up your fitness levels? "If someone has a use for it and uses it in a responsible, educated manner, then it's definitely worth it, " says James, "after all, it's cheaper than an exercise bike and, frankly, a lot more fun".

/v/ hate WiiFit

Most of them think its going to "Destroy the gaming industry"

Most of them are also idiots.

protip: you're all idiots

it's a valid view. If "casual" games (appeal to old or really young people) are cheaper to make AND sell better, then developers will start looking in that direction instead of the expensive, graphically intensive stuff.

"WiiFit will be the death of the video game industry" is not a valid argument, however you spin it.

Go to the gym or go outside, you're not going to get much out of wiifit. If anything, you'll become LESS fit when you stop doing regular excersize due to how much wiifit coddles you.

WiiFit is not designed to replace exercise btw

If you're someone who already goes to the gym and has regular exercise then WiiFit is not for you.

Its just desinged to get your body a little fitter and healthier. It's nevr been claimed by Nintendo to replace all exercise, which is what people seem to keep missing.

Also, there are reports of it working, and its a lot cheaper than the gym
