/fit/, I need your advice. New to the board, I am.

A good friend of mine from high school just moved here from back home. She wants to work out, and says she needs someone to motivate her. I promised her I'd go with her to the gym tonight.


But I realized all I really know is how to build muscle, she'll most likely want to tone. What do I need to tell her to do? She'll most likely just to work abs and legs, since she hurt her shoulder a month ago.
