Greetings /fit/,

So I started reading Starting Strength like you guys suggested, and so far it's a great read. However, at the moment I'm doing SL 5x5, while wanting to switch over to SS.

Now would it be alright switch over to the SS program right away, and finish reading the book as I go along? Or should I stick with SL 5x5 until I finish the book, THEN start doing the SS program? Many thanks.

how long do you think it takes to finish the book?

the majority of the book is explaining exercises. SL and SS have the same exercises, except SS uses powercleans instead of rows.

I'm in the same situation as you OP, I switched today.
I'm gonna do powercleans next workout.

If you have the exercise form down, then jump right in.

Well, you see, that's the problem. I THINK I have good form, like I go ATG on squats and stuff, but for all I know I could be doing little things wrong that add up to, in reality, bad form. That's one of the main reasons why I want to read and do SS as well.

Also, like>>466255, I've never done powercleans before, I would have to start out with perfect form on them instead of just trying to mimic whatever from memory.

Anyways, thanks for the reponses.

Faggot, reading that book only took me 3 hours total, which for you means that you need to start reading and switch over immediately

Are you talking the actual book or the e-book?
