sup /fit/tards, I miss sorely /n/ but there is something I'd like to know about my reaction time. Specifically, how to improve it.

There are times when I'm playing a fast-paced fps and for some reason beyond my understanding, my mind lags something fierce, it's like I just can't keep up. Which is odd, because I've played these games all my life, and have never been 'slow', so I feel shitty that my speed has dropped.

I'd like to know of any chemical enhancers of reactions and cognitive ability that you guys know of, because coffee just doesn't cut it (instead of making me more 'awake' it just makes me twitchy and uncomfortable).

Please help, /fit/.

I heard about this thing called sleep and enough food once. Also play in a dark room with no music or other disturbances.

my reflexes are slow too, i wish i could improve it

Well, anything thats an "upper" will do. You might want to try cocaine.

But really, sleep and a decent diet is all you need. And you also can't expect your mind to be working at 110% every day.

As redundant as it is, if you want to improve your reaction time, do things that require you to have a faster reaction time. I'd love to throw you specific exercises, but I never learned any because sports practice was enough to help me out. The same thing applied with my FPS games; I just played the fuck out of them until my reaction time improved.

Sleep a lot
Cod Liver Oil
When you play don't have any distractions, no music.
Keep active, your body releases adrenaline quicker, and is much more alert when your blood is pumping, so do some daily cardio which will keep your metabolism and blood pumping throughout the day which will make you much more reactive

OP here
although I don't take them as regularly as I did before, I noticed that magnesium supplements bought from a health food store could remedy events of particularly poor focus. I believe this was due simply to me not having enough magnesium in my diet (to the point that it would negatively affect my cognitive ability), but so far nobody I've told about my experiences with magnesium supplements can verify my claims.

what food is rich in magnesium?
also, sleeping too much will make you lethargic

And sleeping too little.

Play them more. Practice is how to improve at FPS. You could also do a bunch of meth.

Practice more. That's it. There's no such thing as chemical "enhancers." All ADHD medication does is boost you to a point where you're functioning as a normal person would, or at least something resembling normal.

The more you practice, the faster your reaction time will be. Even the military uses these sorts of games to improve their soldiers' reaction time.
