Sup mis/fit/s, I'm going to the grocery store today.

I'm at college and have a full meal plan (that's two meals a day in America). At breakfast I have grains and fruits and eggs and milk and shit, and sometimes cottage cheese. At dinner I have lots of vegetables (usually a salad) and some meat. I have a water filter and drink lots of water through the day.

But from 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM I don't have anything available to eat. What low-preparation (the public kitchen is a filthy mess) snacks should I pick up?

Steal from the cafeteria. You're talking about a college meal plan, right? bring a backpack in with you. Steal boxes of cereal, apples, oranges, almost any vegetable in the salad bar. Bring empty bottles and fill them with milk, juice, whatever. Grab hard boiled eggs, or tupperwares full of the actual entree. Just stock the fuck up. Screw those guys. If there's anything especially perishable, just make sure to eat it within a couple hours. Seeing as your meals are few and far between, that shouldn't be a problem.
