..seriously, whats the deal with belts? If you go superheavy it migh come in handy, but I squat 130 kg and deadlift 160 and I've never needed one.

I don't know about your gym but mine has a limited number of straps and belts. Don't you get pissed if someone is using the squatrack for curls, or occupies a lot of equipment at once because hes doing some kind of weird 'one set machine rowns, one set dumbbell flies, one set preacher curls--repeat' schedule?
