Hi /fit/.

Do any of you wear any sort of wrist brace when you work out? Do you have problems with wrist pain when lifting weights?

I've had a wrist issue for a while now. not sure what it is. probably carpel tunnel.

Either way, when i lift weight where my wrist is stuck in one position (basically anything other than a dumbbell) i get quite of but of pain my wrist. I can squeeze my wrist and they pop.

Yeah I get temporary pain (goes away in 1-2 secs) after putting down a "heavy" e-z bar

I used to have wrist problems

It was just a small instability and left it for a few months and it went away.

I'd simply suggest seeing a doctor.

Alot of people who work out with me have this problem.

Basically you're fucked if you use fairly heavy weights

I don't have any issues with my wrists, but my elbows tend to get stuck sometimes if I'm lifting heavy weights. I need to get rid of the weight and start flexing the arm slowly to get the elbow working right again.

It got kinda dangerous once at work when I was lifting a heavy piece of equipment on uneven terrain and the other arm got stuck about halfway the lift.

I saw a guy do CURLZ with wristbands on.

He did like 6 different types with different angles grips etc

You're not holding the weight properly. When bench pressing for example, the barbell should be held in your hand close to your wrist, not up near your fingers.

Yeah i fucked up my right wrist just as the OP pic is showing, exactly there. I take Universal Animal FLEX dayly to supress the pain and keep that joint lubed. But when i bench press or put pressure on it, i wrap a non-elastic bandage on it. It helps allot in combo with FLEX.

i sprained mine in a fall and now holding heavy weights up horizontally (like front/lateral raises) hurts. All push-pull actions are fine though. Fuckin gay.

my wrist hurts from time to time when hitting the sandbag/pads, but i just put it down to my wrists being fucking tiny

flexing muscles around the wrists more actively seems to help, though

The reason we have this problem is because of our lifestyles.... 4chan for example or gaming, or being admins.

I reccomend this,

It has helped my muscles be the weaklink, not my wrists, in my weight training.

Good luck
