Which is better for daily exercise and fat burn?Treadmill or Stationary Bike?Running/biking outside is not an option.
If possible, go to a gym that has both. That way you're not missing out.
>>49342Is there any noticeable pro's or con's?
>>49345Biking is easier on your knees.Treadmill engages more of your total body (stabilizing muscles all around).
Bike:-Only works quadriceps-eliminates bodyweight factor making work less effectiveTreadmill-very slow pace-designed to damage knees and shins-forces unnatural stride
OP here,Looks like treadmill it is to lose weight faster.Thank you.
OP, if you are a real fatty, or just starting out on exercising, then i suggest the bike. It is low impact and will get you in the swing of things. After a week or 2 or 3 you can then move over to the treadmill if you want.
OP - Get an elliptical machine. Theyre great. You practically have both of those machines in one. Easier on your joints.
you can burn a lot of calories on a bike, but you'll have to dedicate 1hr+ every day.
Hey /fit/ in a related question.. how close are the "calories burned" that these bikes and treadmills list as you run? most treadmills will ask for weight but don't ask for height so i dunno how great the formula could be
>>49460depends on the model. some of them are wildly inaccurate.
Why is running outside a problem? No bitch ass shit to lean on while running. And screw the bike. Just stretch before running. It's gonna hurt the first week no matter what.
