HIIT Anonymous
What are /fit/'s opinion on the Tabata Protocol, and for those who have followed it, what exercises did you do and what are your personal results.

Just yesterday I read about it and am thinking about trying it out, looks like it's something that will push you to your limits and wanna see what it does for me.

its impossible. tabata calls for 20s of 100% all out work followed by 10s rest for 8 intervals. i do it on either an erg or just sprints in the neighborhood - realistically i hit true 100% for 2-3 of the 8 intervals at best, and i'm in better shape than all of you.

try it, it works, but you'll never truly achieve 8x100% efforts... hence, impossible

Do it with thrusters maybe once a week... kicks my ass. Hard to do just using 20lb dumbbells.
