What is the health benefits of choose formula or natural breast milk for babies? I don't think I'll be able to breast feed due to a breast reduction surgery that I had years ago, so I'm curious about the long term effects of formula and natural. Are there other options out there besides the basic can o' dry formula? Are there organic options now? From what I've seen, the organic route usually results in sickly babies who can't handle "normal" foods when they grow up. Any truth to this?

just ask yourself this:

did the human race reign supreme on carnation formula at a young age?

or did the human race reign supreme on breast feeding at a young age?

that should answer your question

its been proven that breast milk is what babies need for a proper immune system. this isnt like oh baby has a cold, its like baby gets a little sick or is lacking nutrients and it leads to developmental issues later in life. everything from mental issues to allergies. if you are able to breast feed, do it. and by able i mean producing milk, not able like "ooohh im able but i dont like it so that makes me not able"

before formula mothers gave their children cow/goat/etc milk from a cup in lieu of breastfeeding. Granted, mothers breastfed more 200 years ago but titty milk was not exclusive.
