withdrawal ftw. maybe you should just try weening yourself off the stuff since you're too much of a wuss to quit cold turkey

Just take caffeine pills. All of the wonderful effects of caffeine without the shitty complications of coffee.

don't try going cold turkey not only is it harder but also bad for the system. for coffee a good way to ween yourself off is by trying to switch to B vitamins instead of caffeine.

why did you quit drinking coffee?

as long as you keep it to 1-2 morning cups there's nothing wrong with it (unless your going on a 2 hour ride on a Cessna right afterwards)

Not to mention the fact that it's all in your head; real caffeine withdrawal doesn't start until day 2, which is why you're supposed to have your last dose on a thursday.

Perhaps it's just for me, maybe I'm just imagining it...

but my critical thinking skills go waaaay down when I'm routinely drinking a lot of caffeine (like more than just one cup of tea), I get less rest during sleep, and because of that I'm tired throughout the day, needing more caffeine.

I don't notice any difference in my alertness when I've been drinking caffeine for a long time and when I'm not drinking any. It is only when I have it every once in a while that it gives me some benefit.
