Hey /fit/,

Just about to watch this film. Any good?

The filmmaker starts out by establishing why he's interested in the topic of performance enhancing substances and treatments, then goes into a very good scientific and political analysis of what certain drugs/treatments do to/for you. But then the last half hour or so is all about his family and emotional stuff. I get why he did it it for a number of reasons. I just wasn't that interested in emotional stuff.

OP here, just finished watching Bigger stronger faster.

Thought that was a really good film, inspired me to hit the gym hard tomorrow, but i live in the UK, and can't really relate to the "America on Steroids" image he's putting forth.

It was interesting though, the guy benched 700 pounds that's fucking hardcore

Decent, was slightly pro-steroids but still lent the other side of the coin.

good for every American

all this is definitely American television growing up in the 1980s.it even filled in some blanks I missed. And it's quality shit, not all crap.

good movie, worth the time :) tho im not from america

I actually thought it was slightly anti-steroids in that he called steroids "cheating" over and over again.

Also, I don't respect heavy benchers, who are often fat and use lifting shirts. Some fatty at my gym can rep 400 like 4 times, but he has poor form and is fat. He's got to be like 320lbs.

Do you know what powerlifting is?

All professional powerlifters are probably that big, maybe even bigger. You basically need to be in order to maximize your leverage (Don't have ot nech as far because of belly)
