I hate running but need cardio. What do I do? The weirder, and less equipment needed, the better.

What's so bad about running? I used to hate it too, but after you start running for a while, you start to get a weird craving for it. Just try running. Srsly. Get a good pair of shoes, and hit the road/trail/treadmill/etc.

try an elliptical machine. it's like running but without all the impact on your joins. it's much more enjoyable.
