60 seconds depending on how the set feels, if I'm putting everything I have into the last rep while keeping form, I'll rest longer, perhaps about 90.

~5 minutes for my main compound of the day, maybe 3 for secondary lift, 1.5 for accessory

between reps? you dont stop retard, only stop between sets
>> Anonymous
it's been proven that the length of time you wait doesnt matter.

Too short a time deteriorates muscle building tho.

You need to give your muscles time to recuperate.

You mean sets instead of reps.

I depends on what kind of rep schemes and poundage you doing. Heavy weights, low reps, I wait about 5 minutes before I move on. Medium weights and medium reps I do 2-3 minutes. Also, for metabolic conditioning, include no rest breaks.

Generally, 20 minutes is the time most people's heart rates recover completely from any kind of exercise.

1-3 minutes
