Hey /fit/, any boxers here?

I was thinking of going into sparring to further increase my reaction time/reflexes; my main problem is that i get dizzy in the head with the weakest punches.

Is there anyway to get used taking blows in the face (maybe some training techniques)?

Some people are just born able to take a punch. Even if you train out-style, focusing on agility and dodging punches, you have to be able to take a few hard ones.

What weight class would you be?

get punched in the head more, conditioning.

from what i understand, its a great way to 'learn' how to take a punch.

If you want to start go for Welter or Junior Middleweight (141-147 and 148-154, respectively). The higher weight class you go, the harder these guys hit.

YOU GET USED TO IT, BUT SERIOUSLY YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A BOXER, IT WILL MAKE YOU STUPID.

Chuck the iceman is a dumbass who doesnt guard and gets lucky with right hand punches.

Nothing can "toughen" you up to taking punches. Don't even think about it. Some dudes just have no chin; there's no shame in it.

I dont think its a physical change that happens, its that you dont fear getting hit and can concentrate better after a non ko punch.

if you have a glass chin, you have one, aint shit you can do about it. Other than train on keeping your focus.

you can strengthen your neck with a neck-trainer.
This will increase your resiliance to head impact.
