The last few weeks I've been noticing that when I bite down on something hard (ice cube, pretzel, etc), I'll get a twinge of pain in one particular region of my head, nowhere near my mouth. It's not real severe, but it's enough to make me wince and it lingers for a little while afterwards. Any thoughts on what the cause might be?

Wracked my brain and wracked Google to help but nothing comes to mind and my searches turned up nothing. Obviously something is getting strained when you bite down, anyone could tell you that.

Run your symptoms through here: http://www.webmd.com/

If it doesn't turn up anything useful it's time to pay a visit to the doctor or dentist.

depends on where the pain is specifically

I'd say it has something to do with TMJ(your jaw joint)

google it

If its something recent, it probably has something to do with your teeth, maybe one of the roots. Nerves can have a tendency to cause pain in unrelated places if they are stimulated in such a way. I would ask a dentist/doctor. Whichever is convenient for you. I would start with a dentist though.

You are retarded and your brain is slowly eating its way out of your skull.

Well, WebMD doesn't seem to have anything that fits me. I think I'll give it a little more time and if it doesn't go away on its own I'll ask my doctor.

Thanks guys.
