Awhile back, like a year ago, I lost like 40lbs and drank diet soda the whole time.
I'm currently losing weight again and have lost 10lbs and drink probably 2 diet sodas a day, on average. No negative effect for me. Though water is, without a doubt, better for your weight loss, the diet sodas aren't hurting you.
Though I'd say keep it to like 2 or 3 a day, just because you should start drinking more water.
