3 days a week, you some kinda pussy?

If you're bodybuilding, you gotta be in there like 6 days a week.

Also, I doubt that's how toby looks like all the time, probably just got like airbrushed and shit for the movie.

Actually if you have trouble gaining weight, 3 can be ideal. I've worked out between 2-6 days a week, and I personally gain the most at 3-3.5 days a week. I cannot gain when working out more than 4 days/week.

If you have a slow metabolism, you might to better at 5. At 6, you're burning so many calories it's almost impossible to gain any weight. You also have so little recovery time you'll probably do nothing but get cut, losing muscle and fat.

I disagree, you can just make each day specialized, plus you could pack in the calories, no problem.

A 4 day split is what I do for powerlifting, cause my CNS couldn't handle much more than that

Maybe you can. 3 days a week I have to take in 3500-4000 to maintain. That's about 5000 cal/day if I want to gain. 5-6 days a week would be about 6000 cal/day.

>>85214is right; you do need 5 or so days a week for bodybuilding.

However, three days a week is much more ideal for strength training (for beginners)

OP here so should i just maintain the food structure i've been eating and workout about 4-5 days a week?

If you're just working on figure, then yes, 4-5. If you're doing a strength oriented regime then about 3 maybe 4 days a week working out.
