Metabolic conditioning, really. You live a sedentary lifestyle, yes? I'd say just do something seemingly mild, that's fun, but still a decent workout. Try some biking. Bike to places as much as you can. Even if they seem a little far. There's barely any impact, so it's not hell like running is. Plus, you'll be getting use out of it: transportation. Don't kill yourself, keep it enjoyable, but still somewhat intense.
