doing starting strength and my muscles get tight as hell. cardio helps a little, but not enough. I was wondering if yoga would be useful. If so, suggested programs?

Do you even stretch? Stretching helps, I find that it won't completely eliminate the tightness the day after, but I lose only a small amount of flexibility. (I stretch 10-30 minutes 3-4 times a week.)

Stretch all the time.I spend about an hour every day stretching, and I look and feel so much better than I did before I started doing that

Stretch AFTER you work out. Dedicate at least 10 to 20 (or more if you want) minutes on it. If you stretch before you work out without warming up, you increase the likelihood that you'll hurt yourself. Stretch only after warming up a little bit (by walking or light jogging for a few to 5 or 10 minutes). Then stretch if you stretch beforehand. Personally, I only stretch afterwards and do fine, but it's incredibly important. Go to exrx.net and look up some stretches. http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html is the directory (click on the muscles/body part on the right side of the page).

Of course yoga is good, too, but make sure you're stretching properly first.
