Hi, I have a winging scapular due to damage to the long thoracic nerve after wearing a heavy back pack.I had a couple of months of weakness and pain, but that seams to have gone mostly. it still wings a fare bit but not as much as at first. I saw a neurologist last week and confirmed the nerve was fucked. Is there much I can do to speed up recovery?

whats even crazier is it sucks up so much water off the reef that if you fall, you are usually falling into about 3 feet of water onto a razer sharp reef.

Your neurologist should know some exercises that improve nerve regrowth. If he/she doesn't then go find a doctor that does. Two advises:1.- Always consult neurologists, don't waste your time with any other kind of doctor.2.- For the love of god DON'T MASSAGE THE AFFECTED AREA IN FACT DON'T EVEN TOUCH ITThat's it. Hope it helped
I injured a few years ago the brachial plexus. That wasnt fun.Anyway, I would suggest trying vitamin B (full spectrum). It seemed to help. Just dont take too much.Do physio, and just wait. Nerves take a looooong time to heal.
