Sup guise?

I need advice. I'm currently a fatass (239 lbs) and i need to be AT LEAST (200 lbs) by May 2009 to enlist in the Airforce.

About 10 months ago i was dieting and i got down to 220, but my friend got me hooked on smoking pot and drinking beer.

I've stopped all that and im ready to shed my stomach and man titties, and love handles off.

I've already stopped drinking pop and i only drink water/diet pop. I've stopped eating anything with sugar or a shitload of calories and fat.

I'm not completely a couch potato or anything, I work construction 5 hours a day and at a grocery store usually about 6 hours a day.

Help me out /fit/

Stop right there.

Take responsibility for your own actions.

Also how the fuck do you get hooked on pot?

Just do HIIT cardio 4 times a week, for at least 20-30 min per session. Eat no more then 3 times a day (no snacks in between), eat healthy.

It doesn't get more complicated or simpler then that.

I'm in the same boat as you. Here is my current plan, I just have problems STICKING to it and finding motivation.

Cut out ALL processed foods and drinks from your diet. That means eat REAL chicken. Like from a deli or in the meat department, whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables. Be leery of things in cans and boxes unless necessary. For added effect, cut out dairy and land animals too (though this I would not recommend for a long period of time.)

Try and jog every morning. I do endurance jogging, which is very slow jogging for a bit, then normal paced jogging, and then running hard until I run out of breath and going back down to the slow jogging. I aim to do this three or four times before calling it quits.

Do plenty of aerobic exercises. Practicing martial arts, DDR, whatever. These work well for me. In the evening, try and do ab workouts and pushups and such, and every other day I'd go tone up at the gym.

Thats all I do, I dropped from 230 to 205 doing this, but I slacked off like a moron and still have problem with motivation. I'd actually like some tips or advice on keeping it going and such if anyone has that.

If you need motivation just think "If I don't lose weight then I won't be able to join the Air Force." If joining the Air Force is something you really want then it should be no problem for you.

Anyways just make sure you are eating under maintenance and 6 meals/as much as you can fit into your schedule. Biggest one in the morning progressively getting smaller (doesn't make sense to eat everything right before you go to bed)

good luck

You don't have to cut out everything you like to be successful. Moderation is key. Once a week treat yourself out to something you've wanting to eat like a slice of pizza or a burger and then continue on with life. Whatever you do just don't binge when you decide to cheat (a big problem for a lot of people)
