sup /fit/.

this is a weird question..

recently i've built up a lot more muscle, my arms are becoming far more defined etc. The only problem i have is my wrists are incredibly thin.. I do boxing too, and this has always held me back because thin wrists are more prone to buckling. The muscle on the wrist is fairly prominent, but the bone is also pretty prominent.
The area im talking about is where a watch would go (oh, and i have to get all my watches custom fitted). I'm still fairly young (17), but will I be stuck with bitch-wrists for the rest of my life?
pics on request.

Yeah uh, all of 4chan is. I imagine you'll still get advice but my only suggestion is to work your wrists more, obviously

Oh and this is why underage b& aren't allowed, they show their stupid more often.

I didn't think you'd have anything to say.

I remember back in the day there used to be threads with topics like "Post your age, Country, and Favorite Animu!"
These threads would go on for ~150 posts then a mod would swoop in and ban everyone who said they were underage. It was quite clever, really.

I also think OP is a faggot.

ITT, we confuse NSFW boards with 18+

if you are doing your compound lifts your wrists really won't be weak

I think OP is a curlfag

op here.

i got owned.
nope, i dont curl.i do proper lifts. i think its just genetic; the bones themselves are really thin.

Anyway, if the underage b& is still here, here's some help:

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.php?MainMuscle=Forearms

It's a list of forearm exercises. If you want to accelerate building wrist muscle mass it's where you should be.

you can't change the width of your wrists.

if you keep fucking them up then you may not even be punching properly. get your form checked by your coach and bind your wraps around your wrists more tightly and more times. make sure you can make a proper fist, because it doesn't sound like you can.

if you use straps for your lifts then switch to chalk to strengthen grip and therefore forearmsm which will help stabilise your wrists.

by compound lifts, no one cares. only deadlifts, oly lifts and others were you move a bar in the vertical plane are going to make useful contributions to grip strength. work on grip strength with supplementary exercises.

>you can't change the width of your wrists.

Just flat out wrong. There are more than 20 muscles which terminate in the vicinity of the boundary between wrist and forearm. Build those muscles, and your wrist will get bigger. 100% guaranteed.

underage B& gtfo 4chan

and no your wrists are not going to get any bigger and if you're having trouble with it in boxing you're probably fucking up

no. the diameter of the actual wrist itself cannot be changed. bad luck. you can put as much mass onto your forearm as you want.

You're really, really wrong. You've confused "it is hard to add wrist size" with "it is impossible to add wrist size".

OP (underage b&) here. thanks for the help so far.

a mate of mine is a really competetive badminton player, and his wrists are as thick as his forearms, its mental. So i think you can change the width... just dont want to play 12 hours of badminton a week to do so.

if your looking for wrist work outs then try wrist curls.

get a powerball and train with that. good for wrists

nice simple simple exercise is to get a stick and some rope, tie one end of the rope to the stick and the other to a weight. roll the stick in your hands while standing with your arms straight out so that the rope wraps around the stick, repeat.

Wrist curls, reverse wrist curls, behind the back wrist curls with a barbell (you can go really heavy with this one, it's great). I have the same problem; your best bet is to increase forearm size. It won't increase your wrist size as much as you hope or want, but as your forearm grows and lengthens, necessarily the areas around your wrists should begin thickening proportionately. Don't expect to be get massive wrists, though.
