Hello /fit/
I'm pretty ignorant with these things, so I was wondering if you could help me. 3 questions:

I'm 5'9, 200 lbs. I've lost 35 lbs from using machines and cardio mon-fri. I'm gonna start doing stronglifts soon. But, I'm wondering, should I Bulk first, then cut? Or cut first, then bulk? My body fat using an online calculator(who knows how accurate those things are) is 18%.

2.) Could someone further explain the bulking and cutting thing? Like, do I just eat any kind of excess calories? Or, more protien? Or, more carbs? I'm confused.

3.) Are there any pics of guys with six packs and stretch marks? Since losing 35lbs, I have stretch marks and I'm wondering what they'll look like with them.

Thanks.

You should eat enough food while on stronglifts to gain a good amount of strength and muscle mass. Then when you're good and strong, apply that strength to HIIT with barbell complexes to lose bodyfat, then continue training and eating in a way that allows you to remain at your desired bodyfat%.

Cut first.

You will have a calorie deficit, the formula for the calories you are suppose to take in is somewhere on Stronglifts.com (the program you are doing), read it. There is tons of useful information on losing body fat and nutrition on there.

Also, if you are going for strength, I recommend Rippettoes starting strength.
