4 month update, working out 3 days a week. Protein shake on the days that I work out.

Right now, my chest is just SO FUCKING HARD to develop. It's so slow compared to my triceps, abs, and legs. It might be my ghetto ass gym setup tho. I only have an E-Z bar and about 110 pounds of weights, lol.

Also, I'm having trouble getting my lats in shape, despite pull ups. I think its because it's one of those "in doorway" models and as a result i cant get that wide grip that really TARGETS the lats.

hm, well. my goal has always been benching 20 pounds above my bodyweight so you're definitely on track for that but still, why not at least get a real olympic bar and see if it helps. An EZ bar might be forcing your grip in, and targeting your tri's more than your pecs.

do dips - weighted, if needed, to get in proper rep range - this will develop your chest w/ what you have. you can hang weights off a long belt or rope around your waist. you can do dips on two chairs back to back. or all kinds of other places. equipment is great but never an excuse.

The stuff in the "mass-grover drinks" is chemically speaking exactly the same stuff that is in say, food. It's the same amino acids/proteins (depends). The only difference is that it doesn't have fat and probably very little carbon hydrates compared to regular food. You shouldn't substitute a meal for a proteindrink though, they're supposed to be combined with meals.

MW: Bench, curls, behind neck press, tricep extensions plus i throw in some other shit if i'm in the mood

TW: Squats, Crunches, Lying leg curl, sometimes calf raises if i'm in the mood.

Just so you know...I do all of these excercises increasing 5 pounds on almost every single one every week. My abs have naturally come in super defined but it's not like thats the ONLY thing I work. My main core exercise is squats, and I finish with crunches but don't necessarily do those every time. I realize my chest looks alright but fitness is about pushing yourself, so of course i want to keep working on my body.

I'm doing this for strength, not aesthetics. Everyday I've been drinking a protein shake, and eat 3 square meals a day. Thats two vegetables, 1 fruit, one protein. Rarely any bread, but if i feel like it I do.
