Hey /fit/ I'm a very active guy, and I wanted to put on some muscle so I bought some whey protein (looked around for the best reviewed) and while I am visibly getting more muscular I'm also gaining some weight around my mid section, is this a temporary effect? I generally work out on my total gym/abroller/perfect pushup, I have some free weights as well, I have not really had the time to do much cardio (full time student, full time job). I have a good diet, no dairy, only lean meats fish, steamed chicken, no high fructose sugars, Recommendations for getting rid of the waist problems?

Do some cardio to help burn the fat, and make sure you're not eating too much, though you do need more food than normal to build a lot of muscle.
