Hey /fit/

Seeking some advice for a problem that has been getting progressively worse lately.

I am 18, and have acne, all over my face and back. On my face it is mostly on my forehead and around my chin/cheek area. On my back it is mainly around my shoulders, It doesn't spread, but is getting worse and multiplying.

I have tried pretty much everything... I try to get a lot of sunlight, I have a pretty healthy diet and get exercise on a regular basis. I shower daily and use a hydrogen peroxide based acne scrub twice a day.

I am heading to the dermatologist later this week, so I am just wondering before hand what /fit/ would advise. Or if there is something I should ask for specifically.

Picture related, but not me.

Thanks, but can anyone suggest anything that isn't topical that i might be able to get my hands on?

In terms of the severity, it isn't god awful, but they are starting to get pretty bad. As in they are almost everywhere on my face.

i get alot of zits on my back, i find that a steam room/sauna helps alot, if you can go to an aquatic centre that has a sauna and sit in it as hot as you can bear it for a good 15minuts then jump in the cold pool
should open your pores and close them really quickly, gives it a good clean as it pushes out all the shit when it opens and sweats.

Waste no time. Demand accutane from your doctor. It's like the SHOOP-DA-WHOOP of acne medication

Trust me I want, I feel like it isn't bad enough to manage to get my hands on a prescription for it though.

My dermatologist was ready to put me on accutane with a very mild case of acne. Like, really mild.

I decided not to after hearing I'd have to go for monthly bloodtests and shit.

You can always try. If you go in with a shit ton of pimples and say it's a "good day" for you, you'll boost your case. You gotta ask yourself: "Do I want a temporary palliative or do I want a permanent solution?"

I would be willing to cut off limbs for accutane.

Name of doctor please.

I think it's pretty obvious how acne can be made worse, but you don't need to anything silly like that. Your naturally pimply face should suffice. Say that in addition to pimples you also get painful cysts occasionally. You can also mention how you've had it for years and years and nothing helps.
