i have a bit of a problem. throughout the day i always feel tired. heres the background: i'm done college for the summer with no work, so i sleep for like 9-10 hours a day. i'm 20, and am pretty skinny. i workout probably every 2 days. i have a very high metabolism (i can eat an entire pizza without any backlash). i generally don't have any caffeine and drink lots of water (more than the recommended amount). what can i do to make it so i don't want to nap at 3pm after waking up at noon?

Get a job. I tend to sleep a lot because I do nothing. To be honest it's that or a diet issue. Carbohydrates, starchy shit, make you feel relaxed and cucumber cool; so you end up getting tired. Meat doesn't do that, eat meat and get a job. Also running will make you feel alert and awake for several hours after you do it.

I have the same thing. Get yourself checked for anemia.

That, or it's just a growth spurt.

studies have shown that 8 hours is too much, and people who get between 4-6 actually live longer.

i suggest cat naps, not actually falling into REM sleep but just enough to make your eyes and brain feel relaxed - between 10-15 mins NO MORE THAN 15 or you'll feel SOOOO DROWSY.
