2:10 was pretty cool though
But still it was a handstand.
They should have called it "handstand subway"

I'm not saying it wasn't impressive, but he should get moar variety. Like, jumping onto or off of a moving subway train.

because steroids dictate how much effort you can give and stuff.

so that silly 'give your all' kind of effort is a level that only comes with juice, right brah?

conversely, if i'm not on juice, i better not try too hard?
>> Anonymous
>>421772

I'm guessing what was meant was that steroids increase your absolute performance potential, but that to reach that level requires an insane amount of effort, despite most people believing steroids to be some kind of magic bullet.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that it isn't cheating if everyone does it, and we should just fuck off and let the elite strength athletes do their thing.
>> Anonymous
>>421772
more like i was pointing out that most of the worlds top powerlifters are on steroids so there was no point to rage at the guy. but given that steroids are also believed to shorten recovery, yeah, i guess they can actually help you work harder. maybe that's why people take them....

given that people do shit like sniff ammonia to help them get going, um, well why are you getting self-righteous when someone points out that substances are used to help increase output? so were does the willpower stop and the accessories start? these guys would take fucking speed if they thought it would help them. you ever met a speedfreak? fuck yeah those guys can push hard.

so why do guys sniff that shit if they can just naturally give their all? maybe because stuff like that helps. who would have thought.

little anectdote, friend of mine had a nabba world title. he had a diet for a while, he'd eat about 50 eggs a day. he said that it was like when he was on steroids (nabba, lol), he was really aggressive, could lift more weight, push it harder in the gym. just like being on steroids.

tell me something, you think the bulgarian olympic weightlifting team could train like that without open access to recovery methods, including drugs? because they sure as hell don't think so. they can only acheive all that +90% volume with supplementation and all that other shit laid on.

so i guess it can actually help you strain. hmmm.

and incidentally, i never actually said nor implied any of your statements in my previous posts. nowhere. at all. i just pointed out that a lot of top powerlifters use steroids. right brah? so fuck yourself, right brah?

PROTIP: STEROIDS ARE NOT A CNS DRUG nor have anything to do with the nervous system
(you hopefully should realize that lifts >90% are primarily dependant on the CNS)

OMG this means you have to fathom that PEOPLE ACTUALLY WORK HARD and you CANT JUST WRITE IT OFF!!!!1 HOLYSHIT BRAIN EXploDE tiME

you know, it CANT be the total life dedication nor the 8 hours of a day of preparation, everyday, for decades for the singular goal of standing on that podium.

and since the Bulgarians are playing the weight class game (non super heavy) they can't exactly 'load up' on the sauce either.

but somehow you sleep better thinking these people as 'freaks,' and subhuman and writing off their ability to work harder than you will ever dream as 'cuz steroids brah'

>>although the former did clarify his commentary well, the latter is just a lulzy troll attempting to get an argument by jumping to another random point after getting stuffed. 0/10

>>tl dr: hay brah, without 'the magic pill' you can never

once again, i never said that anywhere in my posts. that never actually entered the debate until you posted it here:>>421772. so you're arguing against the points that you stated first yourself.

holy fuck you just can't cope with this whole 4chan thing can you?

>>The worst program in the world will produce better results when done with 100% conviction and effort compared to the best program, with all the toys and drugs, done with half a heart.

unfortunately not. as every internally rotated guido you've ever met in the gym shows. sometimes things just suck like that. life is hard.

but anyway, take yourself and your strawmans somewhere fucking else. brah.

written before your last post...but whatever helps you 'win' in your own head. so much for the 'strawman'. Omission of the obvious does not make my argument weaker because you lack the basic FUNDAMENTAL knowledge of exercise physiology and the science of strength training. go read a book.

and that quote about the 'hard work beats super intelligent programming done w/out heart' stands and will stand because effort is the singularly most important variable. also its a paraphrase of A. Cosgrove, who knows more about this 'whole thing' than either of us.

>>PROTIP: STEROIDS ARE NOT A CNS DRUG nor have anything to do with the nervous system
(you hopefully should realize that lifts >90% are primarily dependant on the CNS)

who knows. nobody is actually sure how steroids work. but we'll get into something interesting when i address your next line of bullshit.

>>you know, it CANT be the total life dedication nor the 8 hours of a day of preparation, everyday, for decades for the singular goal of standing on that podium.

no athlete takes steroids, ever.

>>and since the Bulgarians are playing the weight class game (non super heavy) they can't exactly 'load up' on the sauce either.

because it's not like the entire bulgarian weightlifting team, including ivan stoitsov, was withdrawn from the 2008 beijing olympics because, well, the kept failing drug tests. they don't use drugs! and they were entering the heavyweights as well....

but anyway, your lack of reading comprehension has rared it's ugly, stupid head again. i actually have never stated that there is no dedication in these top athletes. in any of my posts. but you can't read! awesome. you brought that up. you created that little argument with your own ego, with what you thought people were saying because you're just a fuckwit like that. i stated in the first that a lot of top powerlifters use drugs. i then stated that drugs and external aids do in fact help you strain. i brought in a couple of examples. and here we are now. look at that.

understanding now, brah?

how is

a response to what i wrote here?
>you know, it CANT be the total life dedication nor the 8 hours of a day of preparation, everyday, for decades for the singular goal of standing on that podium

is this how you argue? is this 'ok'? i guess only on the internet. i noted above in my commentary of>>421813my view of steroids in sports. they all take them. its a wash. what is the point? Steroids are THE MOST HIGHLY researched 'sport supplement' in the world. just because they are not studies actively in the states doesnt mean massive archives do not exist from the earlier work in the US, DDR, and former soviet union. all the research is out there. massive, well funded, government studies. so yea. they do 'know the score' as well as they are going to, contrary to what D.A.R.E. taught you.

i was sad that the BUL team was DQed, i was expecting Milen Dobrev to place quite highly.

>you know, it CANT be the total life dedication nor the 8 hours of a day of preparation, everyday, for decades for the singular goal of standing on that podium

well, a lot of these guys are juicing. and they wouldn't be on the podium without it, dedication or not. it was a tangental observation really.

but once again i have to remind you, i never said there was no dedication, nor have i ever made that point about elite athletes. you still seem to be thinking that i did. that's your little piece of make believe.

>>some crap

i've argued two points this entire time. one, my first, a lot of top powerlifters take steroids, so there was no point to rage at that guy. two, steroids and other external aides can help you strain. so once again there is no point at raging at that guy. but you decided the fight in your head was more interesting and continued accordingly. well done.

and this is strange. you seem to know that the bulgarian team was withdrawn because of drug use, but previously, here in fact:>>421865you say

>>and since the Bulgarians are playing the weight class game (non super heavy) they can't exactly 'load up' on the sauce either.

you're seemingly unaware of bulgarias enourmous use of drugs. they've had lifters banned from every olympics this century. they are the team that brings the sport into disrepute. and while you even know the name of their heavyweight, you are unaware they were competing in the superheavys as well. maybe it's because you're completely fucking dishonest.

>>you get a +1 because i responded

oh i know all about OL and the bulgarian team, its just the BUL SHW wasn't expected to win his class (as of World championship), so it didnt matter.

the reason i dont make a shit about 'sterroidssss'

is because
THEY
ALL
DO
THEM
therefore, its a 'wash' and d/n matter
OL has been the MOST CONSISTENTLY doped sport since the late 50s.

getting 'caught' is more a function of stupid team MDs pushing too much dope too soon to the contest (getting greedy) and not tapering the AASs correctly. but if you follow OL too, you would have already known this, as once again, this is casual knowledge since the fall of the Wall.

and
we
wouldnt

what you fail to realize is that you've been arguing a point that was agreed upon hours ago.

they all dope.
all
at no point did i ever disagree with that. i had issues w/you propagating the point that somehow, juice helps CNS dependent lifts, something that is physiologically untrue.
and what makes the BUL team able to train in such a way is their 'disposable body' mentality combined with decades of state run training. throw in a medium grade off-season doping regime (they used a 'more, not better' approach, as was demonstrated by their DQ @ Bejing), and you got a country w/only a few million people taking on and beating the super powers. my OL background was from a coach, who during his competitive time was an alt. for US oly team and was trained by a BUL coach... so we oft talked of these things

>>getting 'caught' is more a function of stupid team MDs pushing too much dope too soon to the contest (getting greedy) and not tapering the AASs correctly.

>>and we wouldnt have had this 'informative discussion
