Hey /fit/.

So, I'm female, and today I just started planning my weight-lifting routine with a trainer. He seems legit and I think he knows what he's doing, so I think I'll be on the right track.

I'm overweight, and my goals are:
-lose weight
-get toned and sexy

The reason I decided to start lifting at the beginning of my self-improvement program (keep in mind I'm doing cardio too) is because I am an endomorph. So, while it will be a challenge for me to lose fat, it should be relatively easy for me to gain muscle (at least compared to other wimminz). So, I figured I'd take advantage of the one perk of being an endomorph: make some decent muscle gains relatively quickly to help boost my metabolism, and make the whole fat-loss progress quicker.


Now, here's the thing. My trainer works for my university, so it is illegal for him to recommend any "substances" to me. Would it be a good idea for me to take anything to speed up my gains, or is that only for serious men-folk?

That's sounds like a pretty good plan. I would only recommend the natural route though.

Like anything, if it's abused it's dangerous.

Go to your local drugstore and buy Bronkaid caplets. You'll probably have to ask the pharmacist and show some ID. Also, buy some No-Doz caffeine pills.

supplements good idea, find some whey protien powder and a good multivitamin. Steriods bad idea for women

Fun fact, if you dont take hormones/roids you cannot gain muscle mass anywhere near as well as a guy can unless of course you naturally produce enough which means you are hairy. ew

Your best option really is to do cardio and just enough lifting to keep the muscles from fading away.
