Bad Teeth Anonymous
Sup /fit/,

This may not be the place to post this, but I guess it can be related to health.

I'm wondering if theres any hope of fixing bad teeth? When I was a child, I did nothing but eat junk food, and never brushed my teeth. (This is why you need stict parents)

Now I've been sinned with horrible looking teeth, they're "straight", but gapping inbetween them. They look like they haven't grown, and incomplete.

I can't even remember the last time I went to a dentist, and know I should probably go now, rather then posting this. I just don't really know what to expect.

So, what should I do? I'm beginning to brush regularly, but I doubt I'll see any change.

yea im 19 and im prolly gonna get invisalign when im 20. Dentist said it will take about 10 months to full work. Than again, all my teeth are fully grown and color is fine and perfectly straight, just the fucking gaps need to be fixed.

Anyways, go to the dentist. It'll do wonders. If they are as bad as you say they are, you'll have to sit on that fucking chair for hours, but theyll clean that shit up. They literally scrape the stains off for you. and than lecture you on brushing and flossing.

are you missing teeth? and how long hav eyou not been to the dentist? if there gonna have them all pulled out becuase there rotten as hell your stuck with dentures but ittle fix your gaps :D if your teeth are ok look into lumineers like you said they had gaps and looked undergrown they with lumineers they can cap or build on your old teeth to make them look whole and straight it may cost a little money but youll be happy with the results. Are those picutres your teeth?

I've got rotten teeth as well and my parents also should have been more strict. My family went through one or two 2 liters of pepsi a day and now I have at least a dozen cavities and 2 cracked teeth. I have no health/dental insurance and definately cannot afford to pay for it all at my wage (estimate was just under $5000 at my check up 2 yrs ago)

I'm not missing any teeth.

I seriously can't remember the last time I've been to a dentist, its been that long.

I doubt they're rotten, I never have any pains, I can eat pretty much anything without any problems.

I've heard of lumineers before, might have go check them out. Thanks.

(Pics not my teeth)

At least its better than having crooked teeth.

What I would do for straight teeth. :*(

junk food and brushing has nothing to do with teeth growth fuck you dentists

I grew up on sugar and my teeth are fucking massive, straight as fuck and no gaps.

its flouride that screws up formation because it inhibits the calcium and silicone etc from forming a proper matrix, damages structuaral integrity and makes the body think that there is some sort of occlusion so it grows the tooth around it etc etc.

oh and yes, fast for a week and they should fix themselves, may take three or four passes don't fast more than once a month

If you don't mind getting hassle like "LISA NEEDS BRACES!" all the time from people, you may be one of those adults that needs braces. Go see an orthodontist. And pay a load of money for them so you get nice, barely noticeable ones.

well not always a week, depends on how long your body can survive on itself, you know to stop when you start feeling sleepy in the middle of the day.

you can't cheat if you want to fix it though, your body needs to shut down everything consistently so that it is not stressed, it won't try and build anything unless it knows you won't fuck it up before it is finished

I
ve been haunted by crooked teeth all my life. Las september (2007) I got braces at 21 yrs old and they will be on for 3 yrs but I couldn't be happier. In just 11 months of having them on my teeth look normal. Don't be afraid of going to the dentist, once you get past the initial apprehension you'll thank yourself so much. BTW some places offer payment plans that anyone can afford.

My parents aren't strict either, so I haven't been to the dentist in years, I wish they would take me because I have an untreated crossbite and it sucks I can't smile because people make fun of me O:
