Howdy, /fit/.My goal is to lose 5+ inches around my waist by mid September. I will be eating mostly healthy food, with 4-6 small meals a day. I plan on getting 9-10 hours of sleep a night. Every day I will run at least 30 minutes, and sometimes go around town with my friends on bikes for a few hours. I will also be doing weight training every other day on a pseudo bowflex machine and will try to swim every week at least twice. My goal is to ultimately go from a ( . ) muffin belly that overflows over my jeans to | . | flat belly. Is this a realistic goal?
sleeping more or less than 7-8 hours a day will actually cause your body to store more fat. it also seems like your starting out heavy when it comes to working out. start with your 30 min a day walking and about 10 a day on your bowflex. That plus sticking to a strict diet should be enough in the beginning. If you do the bowflex when you first wake up it really gives you more energy!
It's a tough goal but if you're determined you can probably do it. And if you're wanting advice, I'd probably ditch the machine and get some free weights, they tend to be more effective.
>>153029I have a few 5lb weights, a dumbell that's somewhere between 25 and 50 pounds, and a 15lb medicine ball...
>>153041That's fine to start, you'll see progress with what you have. Somewheres down the road when things slow down you may want to consider getting a barbell and plates, though.
Can't say anything without the stats. You can lose ~15lbs which is a good portion fat within 4 months
