Does anyone know what it is when you have really dry skin on your palms and hands? My pointer fingers are really dry along the outside portion, my palms all the way to the wrist are dry and peeling. After I take a shower it looks like my whole hand can be peeled! I also have these weird little circles that look like very tiny craters on my palms...anyone?
pic related, it's dry fingers

Your body isnt retaining moisture. Id suggest you keep applying lotion to yourself. Try curel. It will probably burn a bit since your skin it all broken.

Also if you wash your hands at school/work apply lotion after washing and drying your hands. Its a real bitch in the winter. My hands are all flaking near my knuckles.

I dunno it doesn't seem like it would be a winter thing...
It's been really warm here (only below 45 two days out of the last month?)...
I dunno, the only "new" thing lately has been riding my bike more (30 mins each day to and from work), but it doesn't seem like that would cause it

happens to me every winter for over 10 years now.... will even get itchy also. seems it is trouble with the skin keeping moisture. I have tried lotion and never had much luck until I just ignore it and wait for it to go.

good luck bro

this happened to me a while ago and i almost posted a thread here too. basically I just used a lot of moisturiser and it went away after a while. I'm not sure if the moisturiser actually helped but it at least made my hands look a bit more normal.

Solution:
1) Massage a small amount of olive oil and salt into hands (salt's for exfoliation). Continue massaging for several minutes.
2) Rinse it off. Your hands should be marginally softer, if not downright greasy. This is good.
3) Massage a generous-to-obscene amount of cocoa/shea butter or THICK lotion into your hands - it's fine if your skin doesn't absorb all of it, 'cuz you're going to
4) Put on a pair of white cotton gloves (these can easily be bought at CVS, Rite-Aid et al.) so you don't get the shit on your bedding.
5) Go to sleep.

If you do this every night before bed and keep it up, it WILL work. My hands are soft as a motherfucker.

I get dry skin on my face especially after showering, too. The only lotion I've found that does any good for me is Cetaphil. Some drugstore chains sell their own knockoffs too.

OP here, thanks for the advice.
I'll give it a shot
