I'm 18 years old, 10 stone 5, and 5 foot 10/11 inches. None of my friends or relatives say I'm fat, and I do actually have some friends since I came out of the cave dwelling world that is/was /b/ about two years ago and started socializing. This picture looks really bad but I've got to grab quite hard to get that kind of "fat" - my boyfriend is the same height and weight as me and doesn't seem to have the kind of monstrosity you see on the left. I've been hitting the exercise bike between 30 - 60 minutes every day for about two weeks now, and I've seen visable size reduction on my chest which was tiny to begin with anyway (I HAD to start at 30 minutes, I didn't have the strength to continue for more than 30 minutes at a time). I've also been doing some muscle toning 7 day exercise plan thingy but only for a few days, it's by some health expert nut or something, I grabbed it out of some magazine, taped it to my wall. I've been cutting back a lot - if I snack, I snack on plain salted popcorn or fruit, I eat bran flakes for breakfast, I drink coffee to speed up my metabolism (not Starbucks, that shit's loaded with sugar), I watch the saturated fat and calorie values, and I don't drink fizzy drinks or premade smoothies, or even copious amounts of fruit juice - and I drink plenty of water.

My primary question concerning that "fat" on the left is - is that fat, or untoned muscle? Is it both? Which do I do to lose it? I keep going to websites to try to find these answers but every single page gives me a different answer - one tells me "muscle turns to fat if you don't use it" (which as far as I know is not true, it just has the appearance of fat - which is why I'm wondering about myself), another will tell me I can get a six pack (which I DO NOT WANT by the way - I don't have any strong preference against it but I am really not willing to put in the effort required for a six pack) just by eating the right stuff, I don't know what page or site to trust anymore. All seem to give conflicting information.

Can anyone here diagnose this last tiny bump/roll and advise me on how to lose that last 4 - 6 pounds? ._.

Exercise, sensible eating.
If that doesn't shift it, then it's genetic and there to stay. Sorry. Deal with it, you're like the other 99.999% of the world that doesn't have a perfectly toned cover-worthy body.

First of all, stop freaking out. Those are just love handles and everyone (EVERYONE) has trouble getting them to disappear.
However, I've noticed that you haven't mentioned any exercise besides hitting the exercise bike. Have you attempted any exercises that target that area?
I recommend one my ex showed me, who learned it from a dancing student:
Lie on your side on the ground, propping your upper body with your elbow.
Use your other hand to keep your balance.
Keep your legs straight, put them together, and point your toes.
From this position, slowly raise and lower your legs together 20-30 times.
Turn over and repeat.

If you don't feel the burn in your love handles area, do more reps, or hold them up for longer time.
Try two reps (both sides) of these before you bike for the next two to three weeks and you should notice some progress.
