hey /fit/, first time poster. anyways, i'm looking to get back into shape. i'm in college right now and, to be honest, a bit of a pothead. i'm a daily smoker and i usually drink at least twice a week. two questions:

1. will smoking have any effect on weight loss aside from fucking with my lungs?
2. is it "healthier" to drink shots rather than beer? i realize that this is something like asking wether it's healthier to eat milky way or snickers, but i'm curious if there's any significant difference.

1. No. Marijuana will have no effect on weight loss as long as you don't binge cause of the munchies. Weird thing for me though, it mary jane has always suppressed my appetite. Sure, it makes food TASTE amazing, but it never actually made me physically hungry.
2. Not really. The lighter a beer is, the less carbs though. And really, light beer is almost nothing but watered down alcohol. There isn't a whole lot in it.

smoking weed every night was a part of the reason I was so overweight. I lost 40kgs while smoking every night so no, it doesn't have any effect on your weight loss. My technique was to have a smoke every time I wanted to eat something that I shouldn't be. Used it to distract me from food. Smoke on!

Cannabis is known to help your metabolism(partly because you tend to eat more). Otherwise no, I smoke weed often and I've lost 15kg! Just be careful with the munchies.

Also, quit clouding your mind with bullshit like pot and alcohol. Experience reality for all it is. Right now you're using those things as a crutch so you won't be bored of simply existing. I think you need to get a hobby you fucking dirtbag piece of shit druggy. FOAD.

you sound just like me, except i'm bulking. i'm mmostly using the ganj as a reward for working out, ie complete a workout, then sit back and have a spliff and a protein shake.
