question /fit/

tldr: Should I add cardio to the strong lifts program?

long story.
I've used machines and did cardio mon-fri and lost 30lbs. After finding this website, I learned the error of using machines and decided to go with stronglifts. but, I feel like doing cardio right after the workout 3 times a week won't be enough. I'm 5'9, weigh 204 lbs. I'd like to get around 185, but I'd be fine with 190. I want to do this, for the girls and my self esteem, so please, help me out.

So what do you guys think?

OP, get to a 1.5xbodyweight squat before worrying about bodyfat. I know you want to "cut" first, then "bulk" but it is very easy to manipulate bodyfat levels with a base level of strength and proficiency with Olympic lifts.

Think big picture, think long term. Trying specifically to lose fat while on a strength training program is counterproductive. Eat at a caloric excess and just gain strength while not worrying about bodyfat. Once you've got some muscles, then go ahead and "cut".
