So, /fit/ I caught a nasty planter wart on the ball of my foot thanks to swimming in high school. I tried having it cut out, it came back, freezing didn't do shit, so now I'm trying the homemade duct tape remedy. How likely is this to work? Has anyone else dealt with this shit? I'm going to have this sucker forever, aren't I?

I did the acid and duct tape and then after I got tired of it I sat in the shower and dug it out.

I did it.

Keep the duct tape on, your foot will get sweaty and it will want to come off. Make sure it's not loose.

I did it but the wart didn't fall out, it just died. I picked out the pieces and had a hole in my skin, which sealed up and now I can't even see where it was.

Will it hurt to take it off to shower, or should I just leave it on?

I can't remember what I did, I think maybe I changed mine after I showered. This was 4 years ago, so I would double check that.

I would do that if it wasn't on my foot. I can't walk while it's healing so it's not really an option.

I caught one from the soccer locker rooms my freshman year of high school. I kept cutting it off and it would regrow. I had it frozen by a derm and it looked like it was done for good but it came back. Eventually, I sat down with a pair of nail clippers, a nail file, and nail scissors and dug that fucker out. It took a lot of careful and precise work but I've never had one since.

PS - It was on the bottom of my foot, the crease of my big toe knuckle. Shit hurt after I cut it out but I padded it up with some moleskin and could walk fine. In fact, it was easier walking after digging it out than after having it frozen and waaaay easier than running in soccer cleats with a wart.

I've got nasty ones, get'em all the time. Duct tape does jack shit.

A dermatologist'll freeze'em off, but I don't have the time or the money, so I do it the old fashioned way. You know those cans of compressed air you can buy to dust out your computer? You know how they say on them not to use while the can is inverted?

Compressed air + upside-down can = liquid fucking nitrogen. And it's like six bucks.

Keep in mind the structure of them is weird and not like normal warts due to it constantly being forced up into your sole.

There's basically a hole in your skin layer, as thick as 2-3 quarters, that is only wart, like a cork in a hole. I fucked with mine a lot and it got kind of weird, like strands or little tendrils, almost like a plant. After I had killed/weakened it with the duct tape thing I just pulled them all out.

If there's pain at any point you're doing something wrong.

warts are caused by a virus.
It digs into your skin and builds little roots, which you can feel/dig out.
Gotta burn out the whole shit.
For me that white acid stuff works wonders.

I had a nasty wart on my palm because of an injury.

It got cut off by a doc once, came back ao year later. I got it cut off again and now the fucker is gone.

Also, I did something stupid with mine, I put a salyclic acid pad on my foot and left it there. It dried my skin out like fuck, which was quite strange looking although not painful at all.

Couldn't tell you if it hurt the wart or what, though.

This recipe fascinates me. Care to explain what I do? And will it help with a verruca?

Also I did the duct tape thing but never debrided the wart. Basically what I did was tear the wart up so it was shredded but still rooted, which made a pretty pronounced difference between the wart and the rest of my foot, and then I pulled it out piece by piece.
