anon, I was in your position a few months ago, but I weighed 15 pounds less, had lower body fat %, was older than you, and slightly shorter (5'9"), and it sucked. I was a mess of skin and had a half-heart attack. If you don't do something now, you're going to be skating on thin ice.

I got out of that state and I'm balanced by overeating. Right now, don't focus on going to the gym and shit, but putting on the weight. Once you're a little bigger, then you can work on cutting. Eat like there's no tomorrow on everything you've wanted, but haven't been able to eat.

op here. thanks for the advice.

problem is, i do eat a lot, not just to gain weight but because I'm normally hungry. not unusual for me to have up to 4 meals a day.

problem is, sometimes source of food dries up, and most college days i go without eating, as i can't afford to travel to college and eat on the same day. :S

I must admit, i am worried collar bones badly stick out, most ribs can be seen. i get so badly out of breath whilst running that smokers can easily beat me. Going to the doctors when i get a chance.

But I'm worried that i may never improve my level of fitness.

But how big are the meals? And what are you eating? Try and at LEAST hit 2000 calories each day, but it should honestly be more. You need to eat during days. Make food at home and pack lunches/bag/bookbag with it too. Or buy those quick snackpacks and bring them with you. As for running and lifting, look up the 5k program, but again, need more body mass to survive it without dying.
