Dear /fit/

In a couple of days time I'm having a pilonidal cyst removed off my arse, I'm shitting myself that something will go wrong or I'll develop a DVT. I'm 110kg so I'd say I'm a bit overweight, what's the chances of developing a DVT after surgery? I've heard the chances are low if I keep moving my legs and take medication the Doctor gives me to prevent a DVT.

Also, this question is for anyone who's had one removed or knows someone who did. What's it like for the first 2 weeks or so after surgery? I'm worried I won't be able to do simple tasks like walking, sitting, rolling over in my bed, taking a crap and things like that.

What's the pain like on a scale from 1-10 (1 being stuff all, 10 being only just bearable) Is it a constant pain, or does it sort of go away after a while once you're used to it?

Worry accomplishes nothing while harming much.

You're having a medical procedure done...HOWS ABOUT YOU TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT IT, HMM?!?

I've never heard DVT referred to in the plural before.
