Apparently people pay to run these. LOL?Anyone ever crash a race? I'm considering it after reading finishing times of a local race that I know I have been faster than.
Friend of mine ran the Boston Marathon a couple times without ever signing up. You just bail right before you hit the finish line and they'll never know the difference
I'm planning on running one of these next year. Training is going slow as shit though because I cannot run if my life depended on it. But I'm trying. Also a bunch of people crash them they just get escorted off the road when the security people don't see their number.
many charities will pay for your entrance if you manage to fundraise the required donation amount
I've done it myself NY Roadrunners' Club races. They are so crowded that nobody knew. Of course, if you cross the finish line first, busting the ribbon and all, then they might notice.
>>44081Most people run these for charities. I've run a few 5ks and a half-marathon and I would just pick a charity and raise money for it just like you would back in elementary or middle school. Contact a charity and ask if they would sponsor you if you raised a donation amount.
