So, /fit/, I come to you with a question. 3 months ago, in an accident involving a table edge, I bruised my shoulder. In the next 3 months I completely forgot about it, however, I was admiring my muscular naked physique in the mirror and realized that the bruise was still there. It is lightish brown and is more visible from long distances than from close up.Now, I'm not so worried about the bruise itself, but I've read elsewhere on the web that a bruise lasting longer than 2 weeks is a cause for concern and I was wondering if this long-lasting bruising was caused by a vitamin deficiency or other such thing. So, I've come to ask you, the wise leprechauns of /fit/ one humble question:What the fuck is wrong with me?
OP, take pic and show.
>>185953I don't have a camera. I'll try and work out how to transfer pics from my cellphone to my PC, but I'm not making any promises.
>>185945what color is it?
>>185966It's a solid light brown. It's still pretty noticeable.
its aids.
>>185984try rubbing it and/or soaking it in hot water. A bruise is formed when a layer of thin beneath the top layer is punctured and bleeds. In some situations the blood isnt just reabsorbed and can form a scab. You could have a subdermis scab there. Soaking it and rubbing it will help break it up so that it can be reabsorbed. It could also be some damaged pigment cells in which case it could be there for a while.
