I have sinned against SQUATZ Anonymous
Forgive me, /fit/, but I must confess. My local gym has a V-squat rack, and about a month ago I tried it out. I liked it, and using the rack I was able to squat more than usual. A lot more. In fact, last week I finished at 315 and was energetic for more, but it was time to move on.

Today I decided to go back to the barbell, and I was only able to do 165 lbs. Are the SQUATZ gods punishing me for blaspheming?

See how your whole body can only go into one fixed direction? That's the trick to it. No need to balance it out.

i used to have one of these in my old gym. theyre awesome. try doing your 3-4 sets of squats and then doing 3 sets on the machine squat. you should be doing more on the machine because it assists with the weight similar to the way a sled does. dont be discouraged.
