Hello /fit/,
I think I've hit a stalemate; I'm not gaining any weight, but I'm not losing any either. I'd like some suggestions or advice as to what I should do in order to get out of this rut. Here's what I'm currently doing: Mon,Tues,Thur, Fri-cardio for 25-30 mins. (elliptical machine or jogging), Mon, Wed, Fri-Weight Training (free-weights, focsuing mainly on upper body). On weekends I usually go walking for about 3 miles or so. As far as my diet goes, I don't count my calories, but I don't eat fast food or junk food, no soda and I drink 3-4 liters of water a day. Do I simply need to just do a whole lot more of what I'm already doing? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

eat less

weight loss is 90% diet 10% exercise.

1. Lots of people his a plateau. This is normal. How long has this been going on for? Cause if not long, then you can wait it out
2. You might just need to increase intensity on any/everything... Elliptical, weights, etc.
3. You don't have to literally calorie count but it's always good to pay attention to what you're eating

Thanks for the reply, I suppose I should start keeping a food diary.

Well, progress has been stagnant for about 3 months now. It's pretty frustrating, I feel almost as if there's no point in working out since it's not "doing anything," which I know is absurd, though. Maybe I'll try doing cardio for 1 hour or doing it 5 times a week instead of just 4. Thanks for the reply!

the more you train, the more muscle you will get.
muscle weighs a lot, more than fat.
Train more and you'll get even heavier.
