about once a week I'll over indulge on something, but only if I have a workout day the next day. this is so I know I will have to work my ass off the next day, and have a motivating factor. Also, I read from quite a few books that messing with your metabolism by randomly over eating (occasionally, not every day) can be good for weight loss, since it makes your body work harder to digest the extra food.
