hey /fit/usually i go to the gym on sundays, tuesdays and thursdays, but because of thanksgiving, the gym is closed. im trying to do some push ups for upkeep, and i just thought:when i do pushups, my elbows kind of stick out to the side. some people i see do push ups where their elbows are parallel to their body, and their arms much closer. my question is, is either way wrong? are their pros/cons to each?pic is of how some people i see do it, but most of the time i see the elbows closer to the body than that; eh, google images.
Jesus christ, why does not one know this. When you let your arms flare out in bench/push ups, movement calls your chest more. If you keep your arms straight, it calls your triceps.
>>475948i figured as much, but it just looked odd to me, so i had to check, oh glorious all knowing (but apparently still subject to jesus christ) guru of fitness.
>>475952Jesus is my training partner, I taught him everything he knows
>>475955lol
>>475948what about diamond pushups then, jesus trainer?
>>476016Look, as I told Jesus when he came to me and said "My son, can you make me massive?", push ups are a waste of time. So actually I have no idea because I've never done them.
