I bet there's a doctor anon here that can tell me what the hell's going on.

The pain started yesterday after a long shower. It's in the bottom of my right foot and it feels like it's coming from the tendon. It hurts to walk but if I don't move the foot at all the pain goes away. It's not swollen or red or hot or anything. If it had been a muscle cramp I figure the bit of flexing I did should have fixed it pretty quickly but after over 12 hours it still hurts.

Can anybody help me? Also, first post on /fit/ after 4 years of 4chan.

if it's between the bottoms of the arch in the middle, it could be that u tore your achilles tendon. I did that, the only remedy is no activity.

if the tendon is seriously inflamed, you might need a fixation. Shit takes time to heal like a broken bone.

rather then starting my own foot health thread, when i was working landscaping last summer, by the end of the summer i had really bad pain in the ball of my foot, looking at OPs picture it was probably the posterior tibial tendon. the middle of my foot was sore to the touch and was almost unbearable after walking on it all day at work. the tendon felt as if it had lumps on it. it took about 2 months for it to stop hurting any time i stood on it and its fine now, but summer is coming again and i'll probably go back to work landscaping.. any suggestions for preventing this shit? or decent boots i could look in to?
