What just happened to me, /fit/?

I was just in my kitchen talking (read: arguing) with my girlfriend. I felt perfectly fine. Then, suddenly, my head and body started to feel fuzzy and I couldn't really control myself. Next thing I knew I was laying on the ground about 10 feet back. As soon as I landed I felt fine again.

I don't think I lost consciousness, because when I was falling I could feel my arms clumsily trying to grab the kitchen chairs and table, but at the same time it feels like a gap from when I started feeling strange to landing.

I'm only 19, not overweight, nor under, don't have any diseases like diabetes, I'm not under-nourished or overworked/tired. I have no fucking idea what would cause this.

Any idea what happened? Panic attack? Fainting? Really can't afford a fucking hospital bill right now.

This used to happen to me occasionally back when I was that age but it hasnt happened in years. I still don't know what it was.

its just a fainting spell. the reason why you felt fine as soon as you landed is because you faint due to a lack of sufficient blood/oxygen in your brain, and when you go horizontal, that is flat on your ass, blood from your lower body goes to your brain, which is why paramedics always tell dizzy people to lie down.

if it happens again anytime sooner, you should probably see a doctor.

OT, if you faint while stuck in an upright position, you can get fucked up seriously.

you went into shock. your blood vessels dialated and all the blood from your brain and the upper part of your body rushed down to your legs. giving you oxogen depravation or w/e.

could have been dehydration and the increase blood preassure from argueing with your gf, or something.

Perhaps some kind of internal-ear casual disorder. My mother used to have that. While sitting quietly, she would suddenly feel a sort of vertigo pulling her down out of nowhere, and then hit the ground, her head first.

hope it doesn't get worse for you.

Sounds like an old fashioned fainting spell.

Since you were in the middle of an argument, though, I wonder if you might not have had a sudden drop in blood sugar due to stress. Used to happen to me when I was in college - you get stressed and your blood sugar takes a nose dive. Actually ended up passing out while giving an ultrasound to some poor woman one day. Anyway - sudden drops in blood sugar can do exactly what you're describing. But I'm leaning more towards old fashioned fainting spell since you felt fine right after you hit the ground. If it was blood sugar, you'd've probably felt kind of groggy afterwards.

You're blood sugar dropped momentarily. When you were about to pass out, your body produced massive amounts of adrenaline and you rebounded.
I'm guessing you hadn't eaten in a few hours.
