OK /fit/, I need to gain 6 lb, and I need to do it fast.

I'm 5'5" and currently 91 lb, and my university's claiming I'm anorexic. I'm not, I've been skinny all my life, and my mom and sister are also fucking twigs (my dad's a fatass, but clearly I don't take after him). I'd tell them to go fuck themselves, but they're threatening to force me to take "medical leave", aka indefinite suspension.

I have weigh ins every two weeks. Over the past 2, I've actually lost 1/4 of a lb (that's just normal weight fluctuation, right?), despsite increasing my caloric intake.

Here's what I've done so far: Stopped my thrice weekly 2 mile run. started drinking juice/milk with every meal. Added a snack before going to sleep (usually mozzarella/chicken on a 6-in baguette)

Clearly that's not enough. What more can I do? What Ensure-type drink is best for weight gain? Is their any protein powder type thing I should find, or do those work only over the long term?

tl;dr: Need to gain 6 lb in two months or I'm kicked out of college. Halp.

Pic related: Thats how the obnoxious doctor in charge of monitoring my weight gain looks. Cept skinnier, and with even more cat shit.

Damn, woman. I'm 5'3" and 100lbs and people whine at me for being too thin.

I drink a lot of soda and eat nothing but absolute crap. Just.. metabolism, which is probably your thing, too. I'd try maybe eating a lot of delicious carbs to try and get some weight on you.

Why the fuck would I be lying?
>> Anonymous
Yeah, eat lots of simple carbs. Bread, pasta, cake. Good luck; that's a ridiculous situtation.

well you could be an ingenious troll, but it's more like i don't want to believe that there is a university even more FUCKING RETARDED than mine. i just want to retain some of my faith in humanity

The uni as a whole is fucking awesome (Hence my strong desire to not be kicked out). It's just the admininstration's caring, maternal fascism that's the problem.

Will the calories burned in the training program not inhibit my weight gain? Or am I missing something.
>> Anonymous
eat 5k calories a day, if you can afford nuts they are easy ways to get calories since they're packed full of them. otherwise you can just chow down on fast food or drink olive oil
>> Anonymous
Tell the uni to fuck themselves and that they need to prove you're anorexic, not you have to prove to them that you aren't.

I'm almost certain what they're doing is illegal, I'd imagine there are morbidly obese people at your uni, are they being told to lose weight or get be forced to take 'medical leave'? if you know any law students ask them about it, or if you get really serious talk to a proper lawyer.

P.S. Sounds like you need to gain more than 6lb

not if you're eating lots of food

what did you eat yesterday?

Those mother fuckers !

I hate your uni so god damned much right now. They actually make you piss in a cup ?

Alright, quit running. Start lifting heavy ass weights, as much as you can with proper form. There is no sticky here, but just google for a basic body building program, and follow that.

You won't get jacked up like a body builder, I promise. It takes a lot of work to get like that, just in case you are worried.

Also, go to fitday.com, and write down everything you eat everyday. Try to aim for 2500 calories or more. More is always better. And get 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight.

Another easy way to get more calories is to go for high cal versions of the food you already eat. Full fat milk instead of skim, for example, bagels instead of bread. Shit, stir in a spoonful or two of olive oil into your protein shakes or meals. It all adds up.

sue them...

if all you're eating is some juice and milk with a chicken sandwitch at night you should maybe eat other meals like breakfast and lunch
>> Anonymous
just drink loads before they weigh you. my sister used to put rocks in her underwear before she got weighed.

What I'm asking is, assuming in both scenarios I'm eating the same amount, wouldn't i gain more weight sitting on my skinny ass than by working out? Or will working out stimulate my appetite or something? It hasn't in the past.

Ate yesterday:
Breakfast:
bowl of cereal, glass of milk, apple, banana, some sausage
Lunch:
Stir fried chicken, rice, string beans, salad, ham and cheese sandwich, orange juice, frozen yogurt.
Dinner:
garlic bread, four slices of pizza, soda, ice cream.
Pre-sleep snack:
Aforementioned delicious chicken and mozz sandwich. Als: a spoon of peanut butter eaten a few hours earlier cuz I was craving peanut butter.

Keep in mind that my main source of food is the university cafeteria (am freshman, meal plan's mandatory) and I'm a poor college student. Also, I'm (very) busy, so an involved workout plan may not be feasible. At this point in time, I get up from each meal FULL, uncomfortably so, so simply more volume of food is just not possible (don't say suck it up, eat more, I can't spend a third of my day feeling I'm about to explode)

Protip: Insert "high school" in place of "university" and this thread makes a hell of a lot more sense.

Already doing the first to. I guess I'm going to be doing the third now.

Thoughts on Ensure or other such drink?
>> Anonymous
I'm sure that I could actually eat and drink 6lbs in one sitting. without too much trouble. just do that.
>> Anonymous
Eat really dense foods the 2-3 days before the weigh in.

IIRC bananas are good for this.

EAT A FUCKING CHEEZBURGER, FAGGOT
>> Anonymous
the day of the weight in, start drinking water in the morning and don't stop or go pee till after you've been weighted. Water weight can add a good pound if you down like a gallon.

Fuck you.

>>400992

and you.
>> Anonymous
>>400469

you should do the following:

1. get a nutritionist to evaluate your eating habits. do not gorge yourself on mcdonalds just because yale says you need to gain weight. get documented evidence of the $ you spend on food, keep track of your caloric intake daily (as long as it's 1500+ etc. u are fine).

2. get evaluated by an independent doctor to determine whether or not you are healthy. get your vitamin levels checked.

3. get a strength routine and have documented evidence of your participation @ the gym. some light cardio is good too.

4. get a lawyer to write yale university and tell them you are being genetically discriminated against based on your height/weight, that you have been evaluated by a nutritionist/doctor/trainer and you will move to protect your rights by suing the university.

it is stupid to stop physical activity or adopt bad eating habits (eating before bed time is not smart, messes with your sleep quality) just for the sake of Yale university.
