hey mis/fit/s

I just started the whole "eat 6 meals a day" thing. What can i eat that's tasty and still good for me? Does anyone have their 6 meals planned out, if so can you share?

If you can grill a chicken breast, salads are great. When I first started my weight loss I admit I did a crash diet. Get some pre-packaged salad mix from the grocery store, some fat-free dressing (I recommend Ken's fat-free Italian, you can't tell the difference), a bag of chicken breasts, and some simple seasoning.

Add sliced cucumber and some tomatoes (sliced or cherry), cut the grilled chicken breast up, and top it off with a light drizzle of fat free dressing. It didn't sound appetizing to me at first, but they're actually pretty tasty. Avoid croutons and Bac-Os.

breakfast 3 organic eggs in org butter, protein shake, an apple

1.5 hours later, another apple with 3 tbsp natural pb

2 hours later, protein shake with some carbs and fat (muscle milk with casein )

1 hour later, miscellaneous fruit with peanut butter, ~10 ounces of no-preservative turkey or lunch meat with 8 oz hummus, protein shake

3 hours later, protein shake with peanut butter

2 hours later, dinner - 4 oz cooked beef with mixed greens (green beans, celery, broccoli, whatever) and squash or sweet potato based soup, lots of salt and pepper

go to bed slightly hungry a bit later
this is ideal for me, im losing a bit of weight on this at around 185. i'd eat some more calorie-dense foods instead of shakes if i was trying to gain weight

this diet is dirt cheap btw, you can find good prices on all these foods at whole foods or trader joe's, muscle milk is the most expensive part at 25$/tub but you can find protein powders for cheaper on the interwebs

protein is absorbed better when eaten together with carbs. hence the zone diet, splitting approximately 30/30/40 of those.

an apple with nut butter.
baby pre-peeled carrots. grape-sized tomatoes in protective portable box.

make one big meal in the morning and eat snack on it throughout the day. vary it with lots of shit. good shit, not bad shit that is.
