so i hear girls like facial hair. Is this true and how can i make it grow faster. I have random patches of hair and ive been hearing testosterone helps.
>> Butts !!lyLcZqPStDL
Some really do and some really don't. I think many agree that facial hair is too scratchy when you kiss them. Conclusion? Grow it for yourself or not at all, because you dont' know what any particular girl will want.

Finishing puberty helps.

I grew a beard and 'stache by just...not shaving. If it doesn't go on it's own, I don't think there's much you can do.

shit sucks,my gf likes it but i fucking hate it.I always get to hear her bitch every few days when I shave

tl;dr fuck wimminz and facial hair
>> Anonymous
for some reason i can only grow a mustache and hair under my chin but nowhere else... why is this happening to me?
>> Anonymous
Depends. Some guys look better with it. Some better without it.

I, personally, like a little scruff on most guys.

Not much you can do bro, apart from like testostorone treatments or such...

Sunlight, working out can help but apart from genetics there isn't much you can do. Ask your dad or somebody when theirs grew in.

Girls only like facial hair depending on what they find attractive. Up to you bra.

Basically you have to highlight what you do have and stick with the goatee or whatever.

Agreed. It's a pain in the ass to shave especially since my girlfriend hates any stubble so I have to keep it clean.

Shit tons of facial hair and I love it. I go from smooth to mountain man in a week. I AM MAN. I EAT MEAT.

My girlfriend and I both hate my facial hair.

This thread proves that the grass is always greener on the other side.

Guys with manly beards are sick of always shaving, while babyfaced girly men wish they could grow anything.

Learn to love what you got. Not every girl likes facial hair or the lack of it, but they all like confident, secure men.

i just want a kinda gritty 50 clock shadow look for my lady.

Yah most girls ive been with dont like the hair but i like it, but my new gf is amazing and she likes me hairy as i want to be

lol testosterone treatments. If you're willing to go bald early just to grow facial hair sure.

Truth, but I'm still totally glad to be in the former group. It's awesome to be able to let go for a few weeks and look like a rugged motherfucker.

I'm as Asian dude, and luckily, I seem to have dodged the bullet of scraggly, disgusting Asian facial hair. Mine's coming in quite nicely, even and thick.

With a few more weeks of careful tending and growing, I will look quite similar to Kaze from Gantz. Except not as musclebound, of course.

My girlfriend HATES the feel of stubble. She always walks around the house naked, so if my face gets close to ANY part of her, she'll shout in protest and scurry away. This is motivation for me to keep clean-shaven.

Although, when I tried growing it out for a while, she told me she thinks I'll be a smooth-lookin dude when I get older.

I'M JUST STARTING TO GET MY BEARD AT 18.

IT'S BLOND AND WILL BE OF VIKING BADASSERY IN A FEW YEARS ONCE IT THICKENS.

FUCK YEAH

is it better for promotion of growth to use blades or machines to shave oneself?
>> Anonymous
>>417553

I'm kinda inbetween both sides of that spectrum.

if I shave I look like I haven't graduated from highschool, but I can grow a pretty thick full beard.

it does get a bit annoying with it being scratchy or you get the occasional zit/ingrown hair. Also my beard has streaks of red in the goatee and jawline area,it's a bit annoying it kinda gives it a patchy thin look.

>promotion of growth to use blades or machines
Shaving does not promote growth. It flattens the heads of the hairs which makes it so when they grow out it appears thicker. Really it's just a flat tip. As hairs are exposed to the sun and other weather they look less and less thick.

Your beard will come in gradually, and the rate at which it grows will increase gradually. Shaving does not speed this process up. If, however, you want to pretend it does, then I'll say that a regular razor is best for promoting growth because you can get a cleaner shave. Avoid aftershave products by Gillete because they will slow down this growth, go for something like Nivea For Men, Aftershave Cooling Balm.

The blade has the advantages that you can control the direction of cutting, and that you can shave in a non-electrical environment.

Electric's main advantage is that you can shave in the car without slicing yourself to ribbons. (Please do not do this, it's as bad as or worse than talking on a cell phone while driving.)

I use an old 1940s Gilette double-edged safety razor, personally, and it works very well. Use of a brush and _good_ soap or shaving cream (comes in a tube or a tub, not a spray-can) will improve your shave quality by a large factor.

For extra manliness points, learn to use a straight razor.

mantic59's youtube videos give a good introduction to blade and brush shaving.

As far as looking like a badass, straight razors are god-tier.

And you'll probably acquire some bad ass scars too while you're learning to use the damn thing.

I'm 18 and can grow a full beard. could since 17.

I don't plan on shaving anytime soon, unless I join the military. Which I think I'm ineligible now for since I'm on anti depressants.

I just shave below my jawline every week with an electric razor. Just use the "trimmer" and make it stubble.

>>417441
this is most definitely false

I have a question. How do you maintain a light beard? I don't want it to grow thick, or bushy--just "light." I shave with a Gillette mach 3, any tips for keeping it neatly trimmed without cutting it off altogether?
>> Anonymous
>>418210
Use scissors (the kind a barber uses) or get a trimmer. Both are pretty easy to find. I use scissors myself, when I'm getting a little bushier than I want to be.

I've had a full beard - chicks didn't love it.
I've had a big goatee - some liked it, didn't love kissing, but did anyways.
I've had a mustache - some absolutely loved it, some hated it, most didn't mind kissing.

Normally I keep either 3 day stubble or a short, well maintained beard with sort of a chinstrap type thing going on - but not a really thin one. Just shave the cheeks down a bit. Most girls that like facial hair like it and the ones that don't appreciate that its at least well groomed. Since its not long it doesn't bother anyone when kissing.

kissing and eating out your girl you will get complaints at about 2 days growth, after about a week it might tickle her a bit but will not be like sand paper.

As for OP saying girls like facial hair I often grow a full beard (just shaving my neck) some girls absoulutely love it, some are neither turned on or turned off by it, though I find most dont like it especially younger girls.

i always stay between clean shaven and noticeable stubble. My facial hair is soft so I've never had complaints after smooching on the girls

My boyfriend has had a full-on beard since he was 14. But then, he can pull it off and look more like a pirate than a complete tool, and he keeps it clean.
Basically you're going to leave someone unsatisfied no matter what you choose, so do whatever you want.
