all right /fit/ so I'm sick of being a skinny-fat guy. I'v started doing p90x. but I just don't really know what to eat iv cut out fast food and sweets.

what iv been eating is
breakfast- water (0 cal)
lunch- turkey/chicken sandwich (max 700-800 cal)
dinner- some kind of grilled meat (max 1000 cal)

what should i change? keep in mind i work full time and am a full time student. so 6 meals a day is out of the question. thanks for the help

6 meals a day is in the question

put more calories into the breakfast portion as you want to stop the cycle of sleep eating away at your muscles asap after you wake up.

Just premake a whole bunch of shit at one time:

I"m not sure that there is a right AMOUNT of calories to start your metabolism...but you have your current caloric intake backwards. Breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day.
It jump starts your metabolism and sets you up for the whole day....think about that 1000 calories at night, you're having now. Your body isn't using that for fuel because you're sleeping.
Just to get started, grab some oatmeal packets (I know they aren't as healthy as real oats, but they're quick and easy) and start your day with those and a boiled egg. And if you don't have time to boil eggs each morning, make like 10 on sunday night and store them for the week.

Plus you can grab a box little 100cal granola bars to have on you in between classes. Or fruits or jerky...it doesn't have to be like a real "meal" for the inbetween breakfast/lunch/dinner intake. Just something to keep your body wanting to burn calories.
