Hey /fit/izens,
I normally browse /fit/ daily looking for workout advice and diet tips. But today I have a question, can anyone give me a few good Forearm workouts? I find it hard to get my forearm muscles a good workout when I'm at the gym and currently they are pretty much twigs compared to the rest of my body. any advice /fit/?
Thanks

If you have skinny girl wrists, like I do, you're fucked.

It's horrible, not only do I have long arms (I'm 6'6"), but my wrists are also super thin but wide).

There's this new fad going around called fapping, apperently it makes forarms HUGE. I think there's a few boards dedicated to this too... something like /s/ and /hc/.

This may help, I'd explain a few exercises that have worked for me, but I'm tired so yeah.

Yeah, in High School I did a lot of gay sports (Soccer, Cross Country, Indoor track). A year after graduating, I finally had the time to join a gym and start packing on weight. Goal is 185'ish by atleast the end of October

forearm isolation: wrist rollers...get a cylinder shaped piece of wood, attach a string to it, add a weight to the string. start rolling. if it's too much for you, just get some newspaper strips and tear them thin enough to crumble into your hands. just crumble up the days paper and you'll have godlike forearms.

might have to try that cylinder workout, seems practical.

Imagine being a fatti fatass who can't even dream of lifting their owhn weight to perform a chinup.

You will be much more efficient throughout your life.

Shut the fuck up and stop whining.

Not many people really understand that being skinny can have the same mental stress that being overweight has.
I honestly would of rather been somewhat overweight than be as skinny as I was, hell I think I was ridiculed more in high school than the fat kids. yeah I'm done crying, flame away champ.

You're saying it's hard to gain weight and you gained 22 lbs in 2 months?

wat

You would really have to see the amount of food I literally ate every day. I would go to a buffet atleast 3 times a day, and eat until I nearly threw up. This went on for about 4 weeks, then I started eating a bit more healthy.

I know it's hard, I've bulked up for 6months now and I'm still only 6'4'' and 175lbs. I grew up being fucking bone and skin so don't tell me about it.

But now that I think back through my life, it's not like I wasn't able to everything kids normally do. Unlike those fat kids with irresponsible parents and bad genes I'll propably never have problems with my weight and my heart and joints will propably last with me well throughout my life. (if nothing bad happens, knock wood).

So yeah, I fucking won in the gene lottery. All skinny kids stop whining right now.

Well, you have to know how to work them out and how often. Every muscle in your body requires at least 72 hours of rest (AFTER A TOUGH SESSION) before being worked again. Don't try to find away around it, you'll only hurt your gains. Muscles grow in the kitchen and at rest, not in the gym.

For my forearm workouts, I usually do some grip work, front/back wrist curls, static holds, and various rope-around-stick weights. (you roll up the weight on the stick tied to a rope using just forearms).

Here's a pic of forearm for measure.

fingertip pullup on your door trim. squeeze a tennis ball with your fingers. as one guy said do rock climbing either outside or a gym but I think gym would be better. fore arm curls or that fore arm cable bar thing. that is about all I can think of.
