I have a total of 40 pound dumbbells and 2 dumbbell bars . I also have no lifting experience.

What can I do, /fit/?

Go to a gym. Lift heavier weights. Read Starting strength.

Alternately, read Naked Warrior and try bodyweight exercises... but gains will be slower.
