hello fit

I'm 18, 5'3, and around 122 lbs. I can't seem to lose weight even if I run 6 days per week, usually at least 4 miles each day. After each work out I do 3 sets of 15 pushups and 3 sets of 30 sit ups.

Should I stick to a strict diet and weigh my food to the gram? Should I do additional exercise?

breakfast: cereal with 2% milk
at 9:40: trailmix
lunch: salad, oranges, water, almonds
I'll usually snack on another trailmix before my run.
dinner: meat and potatoes
before I go to sleep I'll drink tea to get rid of my cravings.

welcome to the plateau. start by counting calories. how many are you eating daily? you may need to eat more, contrary to what you may believe. next start switching up your workouts and alternate muscle groups. for cardio, work out on an elliptical every other day. basically you have to try to confuse your muscles and your metabolism.

You could try lifting weights to gain a little muscle. Don't worry, wimmenz don't bulk up liek Ahhhnold very quickly. That, or push yourself past the plateau by running 10 miles on soft sand twice a day.

I know it sounds gay but HIIT is actually really good at pushing you over a plateau. Do it for a month and you'll be doing 10 mile runs. Just be careful to stretch properly or you'll fuck up your knee like I did.
