Forgive me /fit/ but I'm about to post an excruciatingly large post.

Okay, this is my VERY FIRST time on /fit/. The reason why is you see this man here,
< I am basically as out of shape as him. However, I am unfit as him in a totally different way.

I'm 20 years old as opposed to 50, I'm basically all skin and bones with only a minimal amount of muscles to hold them together, and am essentially an old man before I even hit my prime.

The reason why I'm here today is because the last time I did any activity that I could be proud of was two years ago. Earlier today, I tried a new fitness regime and just 30 minutes into it, my leg completely gave out on me. In fact, it still hurts like hell now even though it occured three hours ago.

So I am asking you guys for very low impact basic warmups to build up my muscles to where I can run for 5 minutes without getting a charlie horse.

I'm basically a baby learning to run again. So if any of you people could help me, I will award all of you a yoctillion internets.

Dear faggot ass op,
All you needed to say was:
My leg hurts, I think I injured myself. I need to warm up longer.

Then all we would have to say is:
Yes, you need to warm up longer AND decrease running time. Also, eat more fat and protein.

elliptical. 0 impact and easy gliding.

start walking and promise yourself youll work out and play games equally. i work out for 2 hours then reward myself with 2-3 hours of games.

Go check crossfit for their warmup; it's really good.

Pretty much like this:
Samson stretch
jumping jacks
arm swings
air squats
lunges
push ups or dips
sit ups
pull ups

...and then repeat all that, or not. I do it once, and then get lifting and do fine.
You can do other cardio stuff before you mess with running. Eliptical machine as somebody mentioned, rowing machine, and bikes are all good. Treadmills are easier to run on than the real ground because the surface is padded and bouncy.

I take this one step further.
Stationary bike + video games always wins.
