/fit/, just wondering what this injury is called so i can find the best way to treat it.

Hadn't been training for a long time, then started. Guessing my warm up wasn't sufficient but it often happens when i stop training for a while then start again. Curls are what did it.

Basically i cant extend my arm past 90 degrees, much pain etc. Its nothing serious because like i say its happened several times before and gets better in a couple of days.

No brusing or poping or anything like that so its nothing serious like a tendon detachment or rupture, but seems as though the muscles been torn or something due to sudden strain i put it under.

Ideas?

Could be bicep tendonitis, or could be a shoulder problem. Either way if it hurts enough to stop you from working out, ice it, stretch it, and possibly seek physio. You wont find a great answer on here, so go to someone who is qualified.

stretch the shit out of it. you have a lot of lactic acid build up. it tends to happen if you havent lifted weights for a long time and just jump right back into it. bitch nigger tits.

Make sure you stretch your biceps for several minutes after a workout, then ice them if you want. If you just stop and let them contract, they can curl up (har har) and it will be painful to extend your arm until it heals.
