Hey /fit/

Retarded question time! (I know how much you like those.)

How does one actually 'lose' weight. Not diet and exercise related, but I'm rather talking about the biological process. I weighed myself this morning and was 8 lbs lighter than I was last month. Where did that 8 lbs go?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

It went away. It may have been water, your diet may have been lightly different. Or you may have been slightly more active. Though it was probly water.

Fat is metabolized and turned into ATP to power cells. 3500 kilocalories per 1 pound of fat

you shit it out you dumb nigger. it gets metabolized just like any other fuel in your body.

It's not water weight. I've been steadily losing about 7-10 pounds per month for the last 4 months.

if it's regular fluctuations it's probably water or intestinal contents (shit). if it's a steady decrease it could be any of the following:

different diet or appetite loss
more exercise (walking more, stairs, biking)
stress
illness
tapeworm
AIDS

list goes on...
