Hi /fit/
ive decided to get into boxing and im just wondering which muscles should i work out in order for me to punch faster and stronger

push your fist against a wall and turn into the motion. everything that's tensing is what you need to work the most.

Stretch em.

Also don't overdo your biceps training like some people do.

Jab Cross Hook Uppercut. Assume standard boxing position.

Jab - quickly extend inferior (for right-handers, it's their left) fist. Don't move the rest of your body.

Cross - Swing your hip into this punch, don't go off balance while throwing. Use superior arm.

Hook - hold elbow in a tight (<90deg) angle, swing laterally.

Uppercut - same as hook but swing up. Hold elbow steady while you go through the motion.

Basically as long as you're not a retard that throws haymakers and falls over after punching, you're fine.
