Sup /fit/

I weight 350 pounds, 20 years old and in college
I'm a 6'3" male

I live in a home where everyone is fat, and the lifestyle is basically to be lazy, watch tv/play games, and always eat when your doing it. Hence why I'm fat.

My girlfriend of many years, infinitely hotter than I, is much skinnier but lives a lifestyle where at her home, you eat gigantic proportions and you have to finish every bite. I adopted this, but somehow she never did.

The two collided, and since I met her, I gained 80 pounds in the first 6 months. I was ridiculously overweight, wasn't capable of much physical activity, and had some obvious health hazards.

I'm not working hard on losing the weight. I don't have much free time, trying to balance college, a girlfriend, a diet, and now a full time job. This gives me about an hour in the morning and an hour at night.

Everyone finds their own reason for losing weight.

I want to lose it for a number of reasons;
For my girlfriend, for looking better during my future and thus helping me find better jobs, and so I can live longer/be healthier.

And most importantly, the /k/ inside of me feels ashamed for being another fatass.

I started NutriSystem, which is 1200 calories. Not a lot of fats, and tons of fiber/protein. I also drink on top of this 32 ounces of water a day, and exercise on a bike and treadmill for about 30 minutes to an hour a day.

I also use some weights to gain some upper body strength. I plan on doing crunches/push-ups, but currently I'm literally too fat for either.

So /fit/. I can only afford nutrisystem for 3 more months. Got any advice on how to watch proportions and what not?

Also, the real reason I'm here, once I lose the weight I'll have a shit ton of flab left over. How the hell do I keep that from forming? I don't want the flab, and I don't want scars from having it removed.

Also, anyone have good ideas to keep active, or something that really works for exercise, post it here. Let this be a thread for the thousands of fatasses like me on 4chan that need help.

Nice work on starting the diet. Just keep eating healthy and stay active. At your weight it doesn't really matter what you do so long as your heart rate gets up there. As you begin to exercise for longer periods of time you'll get "runner's high." It's awesome. If you're lucky it will turn into an addiction. Once you get your metabolism going you can relax on the diet a bit. NOT go back to unhealthy habits, but have something you like once in a while. For now though lean meat and fruits and vegetables. Eat apples or carrots throughout the day to keep from eating junk an have 3 low calorie high protein meals. If you keep your activity up the weight will come off.

I also forgot, I take one trimspa pill and one 1,000mg omega 3 fatty acid pill each morning.

fatty acids to help my heart/metabolism
Trimpsa to try to get me more active

also, I'm very knowledgeable with the healthiness in food. I'm trying to teach myself how to eat proportionally on special occasions like eating in restaurants and on holiday dinners and such things, and I also know what to eat and what not to eat.

I think when I get off of the diet pills/nutri system I'll be able to eat a healthy proportion. I think this is a tough part for anyone planning on losing a ton of weight, but I'm confident I have it.

Also, my goal is to lose 150 pounds. I want to weigh 200 with an in-shape body. Not flabby, and not overly muscular, just toned enough. I set my goal to do this in 18 months, is that practical?

18 months is reasonable to get in shape. How hard you work will be what matters. You can get endless hours of advice and training tips, but the intensity of your workouts are what matters. Browse /fit/ and help people out with what you know a few times a week and ask some questions as they come up. You can definitely do this if you keep your determination.

Protip: As long as you eat healthy you can eat as much as you want as long as you work it off.

The best way to work it off? HIIT. Nothing blows through calories like sprinting until you feel like dying, and keeping it up over a good half hour. HIIT twice a day followed by a bit of lifting after you recover and you'll slim down nicely.

Then you have to get surgery for the loose skin flaps.

Anything to prevent the leftover flabby skin?

Like, a pill that causes skin to lose elasticity, or weight lifting methods to keep it from growing that way?

I'd be much less satisfied as 200 pounds and toned with a shit ton of flab than a 350 pound fatass

In my opinion, that left over flab looks far worse than an absurdly fat arm.

Nope. Surgery.

I fail to believe that's the only option to removing flab after losing a serious amount of weight.

There has to be some other alternative. The massive scars implicated with this makes me cringe

just think about it, what would those other alternatives be?.....having a hot bath and hoping it shrinks?

I always assumed working out the right muscles would cause the skin to form around them, reducing the flabs to an extent.

Also, I always wondered of a pill/treatment that may do something on the lines of reduce elasticity in the skin. When you form flabs, most of the time your skin becomes overly elastic, you can stretch it like an early 90's wrestling toy. I assumed treatment existed to decrease this, which would reduce the flab.

It's not like I weight a metric ton, the fat would just make my skin very stretchy, which is disgusting. Use google to view disgustingness.

One of my friends is like 5' 6" and weighed like 250 or more. He was tubby. He got a crush on this slut and dropped like 100 pounds in like 6 months. He doesn't have any visible flab. We've been swimming since and looks completely normal aside form a few stretchmarks

I've heard losing the weight slower, stretching and drinking lots of water is the best way to do it.

They're not fucking around when they tell you to lose only about 2 pounds a week.
