Lower Body Split? Anonymous
hi /fit/

I just finished my lower body workout, and am wondering if I should add anything to it?

5x5 deadlifts
5x5 weighted calf lifts
5x5 weighted lunges
back hyper extensions 30 secs a rep, for 5 reps, no rest in between.

Well, amidoinitrite?

Lol, did you read OP?

Deadlifts > Squats. Unless you wanting fucking huge faggo legs (why?) you don't need to do squats. I am not knocking squats but to say you need them over deadlifts is...ew.

squats help you grow over your entire body more then deadlifts do, but i appreciate your troll attempt.

Really? Last time I checked, deadlifts work more muscle groups than do squats.

You're a dumbass. Even strength trainers or Olympic lifters don't heavy deadlift routinely. they drain your power like nothing.

That's the point.

No it's not.

Yah huh.

The point is to create adaptive response by your body. DL's train more muscle groups, but squats train a larger volume of muscles. That gets all muscle building systems in your whole body running hard, and why every strength plan for beginners has squats every day.

swap out lunges for squats, and lose the back hyperextension. youre low back is getting hit enough from squats and deadlift. try doing 4 x 6 instead

do in this order:
squats
deadlift
calf raises (dropset)

why 4x6?

Deadlift twice a week MAX, depending on how much weight, you might even cut it to ONCE a week.

Also, where's da squats?

And calf lifts are stupid and useless, get rid of em and go running.

I don't have access to a gym atm, so I am forced to workout at home for the next month, before joining a gym the last week of May.

Also, I only have 150lb at my use, so that's all I am able to deadlift atm, unfortunately; and my barbell is an EZ bar to further complicate things which also tends to make squats impossible due to the pain of the bar.

I am doing calf raises as I am cutting my cardio down to 2 days a week from 5, as to gain more effectively; though, out of curiosity, why do you say they are useless?
