Hello /fit/. I've been following the stronglifts 5x5 workout for a while now, along with a couple HIIT sessions a week. I want to start doing bodyweight exercises as well, so is there any way to implement that into my routine with what I'm doing already? Or would I have to sacrifice one of my lifting/HIIT days in order to do so?

Friendly bump.

bodyweight like pushups or like a gymnastics routine?

OP here, I also wanted to say that I want to be able to eventually do things like 90 degree pushups and other cool bodyweight exercises.

Um, both I suppose? Maybe leaning towards the gymnastics side I guess, if I'd have to choose between the too.

Don't fuck with stronglifts until you're really strong (well at least kinda strong, benching 200 squatting 300)

then you can do some bodyweight shit

don't overtrain or you'll be sorry

if anything, you can always practice yoga for balance and flexibility now as it will help a lot with your lifts and won't cause any harm. do it after your hiit if youre not throwing up or something

OH I GET IT

YOU'RE A TOOL

I can do both lifts pretty easily actually. You're saying it's better to do it on my HIIT days then my lifting days, correct?

Also about the overtraining thing, that's pretty much what I was afraid of. If doing bodyweight exercises are going to hinder my gains, then I probably shouldn't bother with them. But I'll try out the yoga and stuff I guess, anyways thanks for the response.

you faggots

your sally stronglifts was the afterbirth BORN from Bill Starr's 5x5.

the pansy author at least declares that he ripped it off of Rip 1st, who ripped starting strength off Bill starr

Rip acknowledges that he didn't create it either, he got it from Starr who probably created/got it from somebody else
