Hey /fit/ Anonymous
Hey /fit/ what's this crust I get under my nostril when I wake up in the morning? I know it's not dried mucus because it's not directly under the nostril it's under and to the side. Its color is close to white and it's pretty flaky in texture. Pic related in that it shows the location, but the actual stuff is NOT red. Thanks.

Well OP, I got that for a few days too. I never figured out what it was. I figured it was just a little acne breakout in an odd place and treated it as such. Cleared up. That's probably what it is.

Flaking skin. Builds up a lot over night and then whenever you move your nose/lips it comes off in a bigger than usual flake. Just my guess.

I had this once. I think there was a small tear in my skin there and liquid was leaking out and building up

get a microdermabrasion - basically it's clogged pores. happens for a lot of people

Don't those cost like $1,000? Are there any less expensive treatments?

they are expensive if sold in bunches. you may be able to get away with doing an exfoliation if you're tight on money. I don't think they cost too much - depending on where you live

Normally, there are microscopic mites that live in and on your skin that eat the buildup of dead skin. Those mites have been killed around your nose, so the dead skin is accumulating and flaking. Are you using some harsh skin treatments for acne or something?

Not really. I just kind of woke up like this one day. Could it be happening because of the cold weather?
