Run 1.5 miles Anonymous
I just ran 1.5 miles in eight minutes. I run quite often but never for that distance, I'm told this is a good time but I don't believe it as I really don't feel that fit. Also I could easily cut off even a whole minute!

So what gives? Did the place I run have some fucked up idea of what 1.5 miles is? Or do the army set up these limits to stop absolute fucking wimps from passing?

They probably just want you to feel good about yourself so you won't stop running.

there is a reason why running faster than 6 minute a mile is looked down upon in the military... the main thing is that faster than that and you start lossing muscle mass which is would make a pretty weak soilder. if you're not fit and haven't really run that distance before i'd say that you did not run that distance.

1.5 miles in 8 minutes isn't bad. It's in good shape. It's roughly a 6 minute mile, which is good but not phenomenal. The world record is somewhere around 4 minutes, so you're nowhere near superhuman or anything like that.

Thanks for that. I know nothing about running so I assumed the army limit of 10m30s was something special that I'd have trouble beating.

Why is it all the soldiers drink beer all the time and eat shit? I don't want a fucked up diet.

Nope, I don't run indoors. It was on a measured out track thing couple miles down road. One lap = 1.5 miles. Always get soldats running there.
