ok /fit/

Skinny bastard reporting in. I am currently on a bet with a few friends who are trying to lose weight. Basically, im trying to gain as much muscle as they lose fat in 35 days. I worked out before when i was in highschool but because of different circumstances, i have stopped working out for about 2 years now. Due to my endomorphic body, i have become a skeleton. I want to muscle up again. Especially in the chest area.

Obviously, im eating a lot more proteins and whatnot. Please tell me some good workout routines for chest/torso area development.

low reps and high weights gain muscle. if you can do 10 reps then you're not doing enough weight. only do 10 mins of cardio before you work out to warm up, and stretch too. buy a tub of whey protein mix and choke that shit down.

Low reps and high weight emphasizes stength gain, not hypotrophy.

And op, you'll have to eat a shitload more than you do (lean meats, veggies, etc) and do deadlifts, squats, bent over rows, cleans and benching to build up overall muscle. If you were to only do one of those, do squats.

my thanks to anon. Anybody have particularly good chest workouts that don't require machines or the gym? ive been doing pushups and ive got some dumbells in my room.

It is physically impossible to gain muscle mass as fast as you lose weight. An average individual, working out moderately throughout the year will gain 5 to 7 lbs of muscle mass. If you want to gain weight that is fine, but it is not going to be all muscle. Just encourage your friends to lose weight. Both losing and gaining weight can be unhealthy if you do it that quickly.

I'm currently gaining about 5 lbs a week on my diet and exercise plan. Already gained an inch on my arms in a month.
