Hey /fit/I need some help, for most of this year I have been doing numerous sports, I was pretty healthy. 5"10 160lb (16yo) Didn't look fat, nothing. Then about a month and a half ago, I broke my ankle and was forced to take a break from sports and exercise, other than physical therapy. Now recently I got my cast off and at first I didn't have any desire to go to the gym, I mean, after all i didn't feel like anything changed me. So I sat around for 2 weeks doing absolutely nothing other than watching tv/playing tf2. This saturday I went to the gym because my hockey coach called me and he said we were going to have summer workout sessions until school starts again.I had a picture of myself from before i broke my ankle. Our coach had us do a motivational exercise, because he knows that students usually give up halfway through the summer workout sessions and suck during season. The exercise was, we take a picture from hockey season, then during summer training/conditioning we compare ourselves in the mirror to before and we take a picture every day to show our progression. This worked for me 2 years in a row and i had always been motivated to continue exercises because you know, i wanted to look good for the ladies. So today was our first day, and I compared myself in the mirror to the picture and fucking hell did i gain weight. I weighed myself, in 1.5 months, I had gained 22.6 pounds. I was 160 before, and now I'm 182/183, so please /fit/.Tell me how to lose 22.6 pounds in 2 months, and something easy. I can't afford to go to the gym every day because I have a job, I can go maybe once or twice a week at most, and I was considering going to this summer rowing camp near my house, I hear their workout is intense. 2 mile jog, 40 minutes of exercises, then erging and then going on the water to practice. I'm too embarassed to ask my friends for advice but I'm pretty sure they've noticed I've gained some weight.
2 months = 8 weeks. You can, in theory, lose two pounds a week healthily.Since this is a case of former fitty turned fatty, you could probably manage three a week, maybe more.Should be easy. Eat clean, cardio, whatever you used to do.
>>172928Don't give me that no time bullshit; I work 10 hours every day, Monday-Saturday, and I still find the 1.5 hours every day to work out. Sometimes I do it at night, other times I wake up at 4 AM to get to the gym; it's all about motivation, fellow anon.
>>172931OP HereProblem is, I didn't eat healthy. I ate lots of homemade food (I'm russian) which was usually soaked in butter, it was just our workouts that really burned that shit and made me look good. I kept eating this while my foot was fucked up until i started feeling really bad. So I turned to subway. I ate (2) 6" subs with usually turkey or tuna, veggies and honey mustard. I think I might have lost some weight from that but still not enough to compensate. I've been sticking to the subway and i feel good now, but i still eat the homemade food that my mom cooks because it's rude to disown someones food for being unhealthy, especially in my household. What would you recommend i do for that?
>>172934It's not that I dont have any time to workout, it's just that i dont have any time to drive to the gym. I've been riding my bike every day for 2 - 4 miles on some mountain bike trails in the park near my house.
Halp! :E
>>172937don't blame this on being ruskie. ask your mum to make cold soups- they're great in the summer (since they're cool), filling, and relatively low cal. fucking sandwiches won't help.
Just ask your mom if she can cook something else. Politely. It won't offend her, and you probably have a better chance of losing weight, if she says okay.
Tell your mom that her food is slowly poisoning you. Do you want her to kill her precious son? She won't be able to have any grandchildren if you're dead.
>>172928congratsyou've just discovered what it's going to be like when your metabolism dies around 25 years old if you eat like you did in that timespan
also- knowing russians don't ask for "low fat" but more "natural" stuff. start working out again/more. don't eat butter. not all foods contain it you know.
