i have been struggling with my weight and self esteem issues and other faggotry for years.
i'm thinking about a personal trainer, because clearly, doing this shit on my own isn't working.

my problem is, i'm on a budget. i feel like if i don't get control of my health/weight now, i'm never going to do it.

is it worth it to go into debt over a personal trainer, and a nutritionist/dietitian? i'm clearly a lazy fuck who can't do this on my own.

There's really no good excuse for not eating right (other than you are so damn poor you are eating meat product out of a can every night). You don't need a dietician to eat right. Quit going out to eat, especially fast food, quit buying snacks that you keep around the house, quit drinking soda/pop/coke. Develop weekly meal plans and only buy enough for that week to deter snacking. All of the information you need to develop a good diet is readily available on the Internet.

Try this page http://www.exrx.net/ for exercise information. You might also consider a water aerobics class or even swimming for a cardio workout, as running at your weight will put a lot of stress on your joints.

According to the BMI calculator (which can be wrong, I know) you are morbidly obese. At this point your health is in danger, so consider that every time your friends are "supportive".

You could do damage to yourself if you try to run at this point, so walk. Just walk. A couple miles every day, maybe for 30-45 minutes or longer. Keep walking, and walk more as it becomes easier.

Agreed with the post that says you don't need a nutritionist/dietitian. What's in your normal diet? What do you eat on a daily basis?

Cut out anything that's not water or tea, including alcohol and crystal lite and all that. Shit's loaded with calories and sugar you don't need.

Fruits. Vegetables. Protein. Carbohydrates. Live with 'em. What's on your menu, daily? Here's mine as an example:

BREAKFAST: Banana

LUNCH: Slice of bread w/margarine, vegetable, fruit, spinach, cookie

DINNER: Salad, slice of bread, meat, fruit, vegetable, dessert.

Usually some tea in there, too. Yum.

Normally, I would also recommend some SQUATZ, but at your weight I would advise against it. You could damage your joints.

Fruit juices, while high in nutritional value of the fruit typically have large amounts of sugars. While the calories aren't as "empty" or worthless as soda's and you actually intake nutrients, they're still way too high in sugar to drink them regularly.

My opinion: Either dilute your juice with water or stick to fruit.

Lift weights and do cardio, but do them until your muscles are fatigued and your heart-rate is elevated like a motherfucker. It will hurt, it will be difficult, and you will want it to stop. But guess what, it WILL NOT get any better, it WILL NOT get any easier, but you will ALWAYS want it to stop. You just keep on going, keep lifting, keep running.
