I read something very briefly while I was browsing some health articles about how body builders don't eat carb for like 6 days, and on the 7th day eat a crap load of carbs. Can anyone tell me the whole story and what the significance of it is? Also, would it be applicable to one who wants to lose weight (but also build muscle mass)? I'm 210, trying to get down to 180 lbs. Pic Related.

Not useful for weight loss dude. Also, method youre thinking of using is outdated as shit. A short burst of intense exercise and eating a fuckton of carbs (10g per kilo lean body mass from memory) will give you the same result.

Carbo loading lets you load up on glycogen so you last longer before hitting the wall.
