Down the road, in a gym far away
A young man was heard to say,
"No matter what I do, my legs won't grow!"
He tried leg extensions, leg curls, leg presses too.
Trying to cheat, these sissy workouts he'd do!
From the corner of the gym where the big guys train,
Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain,
Where the big iron rides high, and threatin' lives,
Where the noise is made with big forty-fives,
A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees,
A very big man with legs like trees,
Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack,
Chalked his hands and monstrous back,
Said, "Boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten!
Trouble with you is you aint been SQUATIN'!!"'

good question.

I myself can't go deeper than that if i don't open my feet more. it hurts my knees if i do it like the op pic.

so when i SQUAT have my feet a bit wider than shoulder within.

am i doin it wrong?

also, front barbel or back? personaly prefer the front ones.

There's two "types" of squats. Much wider than shoulder width, which is considered powerlifting style, and slightly wider than shoulder width/shoulder width, which is considered Olympic style (so long as you're going ATG). It's whatever floats your boat, but, I'd rather see people Olympic squat than PL squat, but I'm an elitist prick.

Do both barbell back squats and barbell front squats. Awesomeness will ensue.

ATG indeed and that's the only way i feel that i'm actually doin it right.
