With any kind of exercise, stretching is essential. The thing about yoga is, with its variety of postures, you stretch muscles you might otherwise miss doing regular stretching. There are postures that work muscles you normally don't use while lifting/running/etc., and likewise there are postures that improve balance and coordination.
I try and get in 1.5 hours of yoga per day, divided into set for strength, balance, and relaxation. Since I've started yoga, I've had more energy and feel all-around wellness.
Also, since this is 4chan: if you do yoga right, you'll reach a point where you can auto-fellate yourself.
