/fit/, I'm looking to get into shape with a couple of friends. Ive got access to a full set of weights and a bench, as well as a treadmill and an stationary bike. We'd rather not have to pay for a gym membership. They are mainly looking to build muscle mass, where as I am trying to burn weight (6'2'', 250). What are the best ways to accomplish our goals using the eqipment we have.

They can look up any amount of free weight presses and lifts, you can go for an hour on the bike followed by some cardio light weight lifting.

Wouldn't hurt to do a full body workout either.

Don't forget to get some regular condition done like running, cycling what ever. You want the muscles to show right, so burn some fat while you're at it.

Try Dan John's "one lift a day" program. Yeah, one heavy-ass lift doesn't sound like much, but try it. You take a few minutes between sets, so that gives you and your friends the chance to rotate and lift.
