weight loss is fucking hard, ok? I went through 60lbs of it myself (hardly record breaking, but notable). Diet? The human body is designed to seek out and eat any and all food and store the extra as fat because it doesn't 'know' that there's a grocery store around the corner, and that there won't be a famine next week. Exercise? Again, the body doesn't want to exhaust itself hoisting about some metal for no reason because there *might* be a cheetah or a bear or something just around the corner.
Small 'lifestyle changes'? People are creatures of habit. "If I do something this way and nothing bad happens, I don't want to try it that way because something bad might happen and I am already secure."
Yeah the concept is so fucking simple, that the inability to comprehend calories in vs calories out should be used as a litmus test for breeding purposes, but even if people understand it, they are fighting millions of years of evolution that tell them to keep doing what they are doing.
