Do diet pills work /fit/ ?

I'm 18, I don't live with my girlfriend.

She recently became obsessed with her weight and she's bought diet pills. I really don't want her to lose weight, she's thin already and she wants to be anorexic model thin :/

She took 2 the first day she got them and said she felt like she was out of it, her voice sounded as though she was talking extremly loud when she wasnt, blurred vision etc.

Are these thins going to make her beautiful curves waste away to flat nothingness? or not do anything?

not trolling.

I don't know what to say to her

I've told her I like her how she is, so she says she's doing it for herself not for me.

I don't wanna say directly that i'm scared it's gunna take away her tits and ass.

You take them, you fat pussy. In fact, I don't believe you even have a girlfriend. Enjoy eating YOUR pills. Alone.

teh most those pills can burn over teh course of a day is ~145 extra calories. we're talking ephredrine

so if you 'use' 2000 cal a day, then pop a hyrdoxcut/lipox6.metabolic ass burner.etc, u'll use around 2100...not a big deal, and the body will downregulate your own sympathetic NS in response to exogenous stimulants, meaning your own metabolism will slowly downgrade wilst on the product. after you get off, pendulum effect says you get right back to where you started, but w/surpressed metabolism and overly stressed adrenals.

tl dr: net gain = 0

Without a doubt yes. Not because of the product, but because she will still be in the "fatass mindset" of eating junk food and not exercising. Most of the pills that work on some degree are on the basis of thermogenesis, but all come with the smallprint "to be used as part of a balanced diet and exercise", so the effect is minimal, not even worth the cost of them imo. The problem with them is, and more often with women than men because lets be honest, they are more gullible, is the fact that they take them and they "diet" and will lose weight but instead of the logical answer that it was the "diet" that lost the weight, they attribute the weight lost entirely to the pills which then feeds this BS to every other woman like a chain reaction. What in actual fact happened was she was in a calorie defecit and because of that she was burning more calories than she was taking in causing her body to burn fat as an energy source, the pills had minimal effect.

Tell your gf to get off her ass and exercise and read Tom Venuto - Burn the fat, feed the muscle (UNF UNF UNF, its in /rs/ board), it will do her more good than any pills and more importantly it will keep the weight off rather than having her rebound and do it all over again.

tl;dr - There is no supplement for hard work.
