Oh know(s), such a taboo subject.
Mental fitness and physical fitness are similar yet different concepts. They are like each other in the manner that to improve it takes hard work and dedication. They differ because mental fitness requires much more time and effort than physical fitness. It is much harder to concentrate on a book or write a thesis and usually requires--obviously depending on things such as the persons skill level in that particular subject and how mentally fit they are--much more time than it takes to pump iron and show the women.
The brain is not fully understood, in fact what we do know is next to nothing.
It has been proven that omega-three fatty acids improve mental performance by facilitating the fabrication of myelin sheath on neurons. You can find such nutrient in fish oil (molecularly distilled is better for you), chicken, raw egg(if cooked, the protein denatures ergo destroyed), and flax.
If you really want to improve mental performance, you simply need to sit down and work thousands of problems in a multitude of subjects... Which is precisely what college does to you.
