/Fit/ - I have started reading the book: "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" By Tom Venuto. I am sorta skimming over certain things I already know and reading heavily into things I didn't. I used to be a competitive swimmer for 14 years and during my freshmen year in college ( this year ) , I just quit, cold turkey. 11 months of doing nothing but sitting on my ass and eating. Now I am trying to get back into shape. I don't think that burning fat is really an issue since I lost 20 pounds since I stopped swimming. After reading the book I would say I am mostly ectomorphic to some extent, and herein lies my problem. The issue is that I have a VERY delicate bone structure. My wrists are from 6 - 7" in circumference and VERY weak. I can barely do more than a single set of push-ups, not because my arms are too weak ( though they aren't strong ) but because my lower arms above the wrists give out during the compression phase. Does anyone have tips on how to build up joint strength? I don't have too many problems with exercises that don't focus on joints i.e. bench presses, curls, squats etc. Its just push ups? Any advice?

Do not use wrist wraps. I can't believe people actually fucking suggested their use. Holy shit. OP, stop being such a pussy and just lift some god damn weight.

The only exercise you need for your forearms/wrists are compound exercises. Deadlifts, Bench Press, Rows, Overhead Press, Dips, and pretty much any other COMPOUND movement for your upper body. In other words, no fucking curls.
