I just had the most delicious thing, /fit/. I'm on a ketogenic diet, btw.

Delicious buttery pancakes. I made each pancake with 1/4 cup of almond meal, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 dash of vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon of heavy cream and 1 packet of Splenda. I topped it off with a dab of unsalted butter.

om nom nom nom nom

Each pancake made has 5 grams of carbs.

Pic related.

i made pie crust the other day with almond meal. i would approve but splenda is not my thing!

It isn't mine either, but I figure since I'm only going to be doing keto for a month, I'll survive the high dosages of sucralose. I only have 2-3 packets a day anyway, either in my pancakes or my decaf coffee.

i suggest putting fruit into the pancakes to make them sweeter, at least i would put some blueberries or strawberries in them. just a suggestion!

just wondering what your macronutrient intake is? is it totally void of carbs or is there like a 5-10%? I usually eat between 60-65% fats 20-25% protein and 10-15% carbs daily.

I eat between 20-25 grams per day. Any more than that and I'd be out of ketosis. This was basically my 'luxury' food of the day, the rest of my carbs are coming entirely from spinach, cauliflower and broccoli.

Oh, and to answer your question, no, I don't measure macronutrient intake, or even calories. There's no need to do that on a traditional ketogenic diet. I just eat as much as I have to to feel satisfied.

Although I'm still really hungry all the time. If you put 20 hamburgers in front of me, you'd get an empty plate handed back to you. I figure that'd be tempting the gods though, so I try to eat sensible amounts.

that would be hard as hell to do for a long period of time but i guess doable for a month.

i think my diet is quite easy to deal with for the long run. sure i had to get rid of dairy (i still have my chocolate milk recovery drink until i find something better), grains, all sugary things but i feel 10x better and there's never a day where i miss that shit anyways.

i try to keep my carb intake under 100g but even that's hard sometimes, i mean 1 apple is 27g and my chocolate milk recovery drink is 36g haha, so on my training days 6 days out of the week i have to limit my carb intake to under 64g. not hard but i do eat at least a pound of broccoli/asparagus/cauliflower a day for the rest of the carbs. but some days i do eat a lot of fruit, oh well. today i marked at 58% fats, 22% protein, 20% carbs. mostly because i ate strawberries and an apple today

Same poster:
2 low carb tortillas
2 tbsp tomato puree
75g mozerella
1/2 tsp dried italian seasoning
100g italian salami

Spread tomato on wrap, throw everything else inside, roll, wrap up in tin foil, sling under grill till cheese is just about starting to melt on edges.

Eat.

I did the same earlier but with mozerella and mature cheddar - shit was awesome.

Thats all from me. Ciao!

Ah wait I just remembered supper =]
3 large eggs
2 tbsp splenda
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tbsp semi skimmed milk
1 tsp water

Blend that shit up, throw in a bowl in microwave for 3-4 mins at low-medium temperature, whisking up every 30 seconds till you get a smooth consistency. Continue until you get desired thickness.

End result is something like the creamiest oatmeal youve ever had, pretty thick, warm, cinnamony, sweet... OM NOM NOM

Though you could just burn the carbs off through exercise. I did a ketogenic diet once, and yeah i know sometimes you don't ven have the energy to do it.
