I used to play soccer 5 times a week, M-TH, for an hour often resulting in doing 5x5 program and playing on the same day.
I couldn't really give 100% playing cause of legs just trembling, but managed to lose 10lbs within 6 weeks.
Now I don't do any cardio, but I plan to end 5x5 this week and start doing HIIT starting next week while also taking a break from lifting for a week.
