I seem to have trouble losing weight.
I bulked to about 180 pounds and lost 21 pounds no problem.
I am supposed to eat 2500 calories a day now (bodyweight x 16 according to stronglifts), at this weight. I eat even a little bit less than that, maybe 2400 or so.
I'm still stuck at 159 pounds. I can't seem to get any lower. Any suggestions?

Wait, you're eating 2500 calories a day to LOSE weight?

None of your post makes any sense.

Stronglifts.com says to lose weight, multiply bodyweight by 16. To maintain weight, multiply bodyweight by 18. To gain weight, multiply bodyweight by 20. Then, just get that many calories, depending on which one you chose.

159 x 16 = 2544, so I eat close to 2500 calories a day (usually much less than that, maybe 2200 to 2300) but still nothing is working. Or it is just working very slowly...

That can't possibly be right.

oh sweety. you're doing it wrong.

http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ do this. then multiply by 1.2, then substract 500~1000 calories. that's what you want to eat to lose weight.

I did it to lose the near 30 pounds I have now during this cut phase. Each week, I'd have lost a few pounds and then I'd calculate it again and eat that.

And I am not sedentary, dude. I have bulked and cut a few times before, I was just trying it a way I saw on stronglifts. I'd have to multiply it by 1.55 because I do Rippetoe's/5x5. So, based on what you have said.

WEIGHT: 150
BMI: 1785.07
EXERCISE 3x WEEKLY: x1.55
CALORIE INTAKE: 2766.843

So I am eating around 200-500 calories less than I need anyway. I guess it is just taking longer since the deficit might not be 3500 calories a week... maybe closer to 2000.

maybe by eating less you are starving muscle and just losing/regaining muscle and not losing any fat?......maybe you are too concerned with just calorie in vs out and need to eat more fiber/protein and less carbs
