So I started running two days ago and yesterday I had really sore muscles in my legs so I decided to skip a day.

Thing is, they're still sore today.

Does this just mean I'm really really out of shape? Should I go for another run today?

is it just your quadriceps, calves, etc? if it's your knees or shins then you'll have to wait longer, but otherwise i'd give it another day.

My calves and like, the front part of my ankles.

I would go for a walk still getting some exercise at least

Yeah, I was going to do that and maybe a little jogging.

Too bad I don't know where my bike is.

Also my stomach's been sore from the situps I've been doing, but I've just been pushing through that because it feels like a good sore.

When i used to run cross country, we were told to never take long breaks in running schedules. If you are sore, you should still run, but at a slower pace/ less mileage. Also, are you making sure you are stretching properly after your runs?

KEKEKEKEK. What the fuck? Is this a troll?

Normal soreness lasts for three days. If you're doing things on professional level, it's even possible to have soreness for a week. I'm not sore about one week a month. If you want to stay fit, you'll have to pay the price.

If you mean the front calf muscles on the front of the shin, then it could be shin splints which are caused by too much impact when you run. You might need to change your running style (less weight on heel), shoes, or surface if you keep getting it.

I went out for a bit today and tried running more toe-heel rather than just plopping my feet on the ground. I think it worked a little better, but we'll see when I wake up tomorrow.

My shoes are pretty flat and sole-less, should I get a pair of running shoes? I've got Onitsuka Tigers which I assume are more for sprinting.

Lots of protein. Your body needs it to repair your muscles.

Also, stretch.
