Sup, /fit/

Pic related. I'm in china, where ciggies are dirt cheap ($0.70 a pack - lulz), and am smoking my ass off. Simply put - I must give up.

Any tips/recommendations from former smokers? I heard that only 3% of people who use willpower alone succeed, and Nicotine replacement patches and gum simply don't exist in Zhongguo, so I'm kind of stymied as to which direction to take.

Any help appreciated, anon.

What bullshit. The sooner you quit the better. Tapering off only prolongs the withdrawal.

OP here:

Sage advice from all - cheers for the input. Always good to consider oneself a pussy.

China's erratic with its blocking. 4chan was blocked for a couple of months last year due to the part congress, but hasn't had any hassle since then. Porn sites are blocked continuously, but it doesn't make much difference. Youtube was blocked last month due to Tibet, but we were able to access it from last night. Shitloads of news sites are (of course) blocked, including BBC, and google news in perma-fucked (you can see the main page, but can't access any of the links). Also, google images is routinely disabled for fear of tank man images coming up.

Generally, Chinese folk don't give a shit about this. Apparently, unbiased news is as unwelcome as face cancer. It's great fun living here.

OT, over 70% of chinese men smoke, so quitting is regarded as a defeatist and unharmonius attitude. lulz.

I was in China a few months ago. I managed to get to 4chan, Wikipedia, etc. using a proxy. I can still remember the one I used - http://uu.tj/
