Hey /fit,/I have very weak ankles. I roll my right ankle very very commonly, and it happens at the worst time. It's always the right ankle, however. Usually right in the middle of a tennis match.Now, playing tennis quite heavily now for my school, being one of the best singles players on the team, and being a Senior this year, I can't take any time off practice or miss matches for being injured.Questions:1. What the hell is the problem?2. What do I do about it?3. Ankle brace: good investment, or pointless?

Ask the trainer at your school to show you some strengthening exercises. I don't think your ankle's range of motion is very important in tennis, so try one of the canvas lace-up braces. That, or learn to tape.
You have a team trainer, right? Schedule an appointment and go over the anatomy of the ankle, specifically WRT your issues. If you have to, get a referral with an orthopedic surgeon to talk about it.
