I have Tinnitus. FUCK. I was listening to music with headphones pretty loud when I was on the treadmill last week, 6 days in a row. Now my ears are ringing really bad.

Didi this ever happen to anybody? Does it go eventually?

A month or two? Damn that really sucks. Its actually so bad that my eyes are watering right now.

Yeah, I got it once after stepping on a rusty nail

6 days of loud music DOES NOT equal tinnitus, dont worry, the ringing will be temporary for you, i reckon after a week you wont remember it anymore.

Real tinnitus comes from prolongued periods of exposure to certain frequencies of sound, not just 'loud' sounds.

Well i only know that because my dad has severe tinnitus from years of riding in airforce helicopters with no helmet on and using 2-stroke engines close to his head (like a hedge trimmer) without earphones.

Trust me, real tinnitus is really, really bad, not only does that ringing never, ever go away, it also blocks out some frequencies of sound, for example when we go on holiday to the Med or somewhere he can never hear crickets or cicadas, and cicadas are fucking loud.

Tinnitus can be permanent. Stop all headphone listening immediately.

I've had tinnitus my entire life. I dont even realize it until I concentrate on the forever high pitch almost buzzing sound.

enjoy that one pitch while you still can, because once the ringing is over, you'll never be able to hear that pitch ever again
