Ok /fit, quick question. I ate pretty well today, lots of protein. My trouble is that I want to go to the gym and run to burn a little extra fat, I'll probably end up between 400-600 calories and im worried that will put me below 1800 calories for today which could make my body start storing fat. If I do it but don't eat anything for the rest of the day would I be safe, or should I eat more tomorrow and then go to the gym? Or should I eat some yogurt real quick, and then go to the gym and burn the same calories as I ate? Or does it take a few days of calorie deficit before my metabolism starts slowing down? This shit is confusing.

i just made a post on this a few minutes ago, and made the same post on 3 other health forums. after about an hour, i still have no solid responses to help clarify the calorie deficit confusion. i dont understand why ~400 calorie deficit is the cap, that is only 3 pounds per month of fat. tom venuto didnt clarify in his book. in b4 squatz, vitamin water blah

You can deficit by 500 and make another 500 by exercise a day equaling 2lb loss per week.

don't worry so much
eat well, exercise moderately, learn to love yourself and don't worry what others think
life is very short to have to live it by what others think, as you're laying on your deathbed, you will not be saying
damn i shouldn't have had that piece of cake in 1999 or whenever being happy will make you happy no matter what your weight is

I don't eat cake at all any more, let alone any sugar. Except what occurs in fruit and yogurt I suppose. I'm sitting at around 17% body fat, want to get it down to 6% and that isn't going to happen with me learning to love myself you fat hippie bastard.

i can see how happy living the life you are, getting down to 17% body fat has made you and you sound so much happier than what flower power has made me, peace out man/woman

My life is grand, losing weight is just frustrating with the genetics I've got. I have to choose between food making me happy, and being healthy and looking good making me happy. I suppose you could never set goals and always be at peace with yourself, if you need to take the easy road then that's what you have to do. Some of us aspire for more.
