sup /fit/I've started exercising again thanks to you damn people, and now I have a related question that's close to my heart. Booze.I'd like to continue drinking so as to properly pickle my liver, but I worry about all the extra calories. Is there a drink out there that can get me drunk with fewer calories than bacardi and diet coke?
Want to drink light beer?Alcohol is metabolized to calories. 7 cal/g. No calories = no alcohol = not getting drunk. So just do it in moderation, and work out more in the meanwhile.
eat less. problem solved.
Any alcohol drink has calories, as alcohol itself has calories. So you're pretty much screwed in that respect.Light beer or everclear would have the least amount of extraneous calories.
Pure ethanol contains 7.1 calories per gram.
There was a recent study that stated that having a drink and 30+ minutes of exercise a day could help maintain a healthy heart, and of course live longer.Drinking is only healthy as long as it is done in moderation. Beyond that, you deserve the consequences that the extra calories will cause.
>>35091there might be some tiny variations in all individual foods, but it's always insignificant and not even worth this sentence. 7 or 7.1, denser then protein and carbs, but not as fats. take the 7.1, sounds more accurate.
7.1 calories per gram of pure ethanol....but at, lets say, 80% ethanol, you need 15ml of it to equal the same as one beer or one shot of vodka.7 * 15 = 105 calories per "shot"Which is just about the same amount of calories that a shot of Vodka has.So pretty much... drink straight vodka or rum and that's about as low-calorie as you can get it. Unfortunately you're looking at about 100 calories per drink. Can't really do much about it.
>>35134So keep yourself under 18~ drinks a day.
Larger or Stout? We drink Harp or Guinness - no alternatives. Well, perhaps Gin/Vodka/Rum but for the most part it's pints of stuff we binge on.As for you Tom Venuto faggots who refuse to drink, continue your shelf life.
