sup /fit/, I know you guys don't get much of this here but I've been pretty much everywhere else and exhausted all my opinions(irl and on the interbutts) so I figure why not ask 4chan

I'm in chronic pain and I'm 20, how it happened I don't know since I wasn't in any sort of car crash or something devastating this or that, only thing I can recall that could of caused it was getting hit in the head real hard when I was drunk and another when I slipped on the ice a few years back

anyway as of now my daily routine consists of eating 100% clean and lifting even though my doctor advises against it, and HIIT/cardio. I've lost about 40 lbs of fat and put on some muscle with a few months of bulking

so when it comes to my body being healthy I'm pretty sure it is, seeing as I only cheat once a week, only drink water do this do that. but I'm still in chronic agonizing pain that leaves me unable to do things I used to, I'm 20 and other than the grocery or gym I'm at home all day either lying on the couch or lying in bed on my laptop.

my 2 main sources of pain are in my head and my lower back, my lower back not nearly as bad but days I do deadlifts and days after it fucking KILLS me, and my head well that's the worst part

so my question to you guys is this:
lying down for a good portion is the day is this going to help or hurt my current state, do I need to try to sit up more or get out more?

and are there any relaxation techniques out there that work and have worked for you guys other than just breathing exercises? I feel sometimes when I'm in bed if I just take a deep breath and kinda focus on the pain itself it gets better becasue I can relax those muscles, but I can't do that every waking minute of the day

Hey OP, although I'm no doctor, I too suffer from mild chronic back pain and what helps me stretching. Try to stretch as often as you can and maybe even start yoga it worked wonders for my back pain, also make sure you have a straight posture when sitting or walking around as slouching can put a great deal of pressure on your spine. Hope this helped.
