Feet pain after excercising Anonymous
I recently started a diet and exercise, but theres one big problem im not sure how to deal with. Usually I go to the gym every other day and do some bike HIIT for about 30 mins then do some steady treadmill for about 40 minutes but I know I could go longer except for the fact that about 25 minutes in on the treadmill my foot skin/muscle whatever im not sure what it is gets all raw and sensitive and it hurts. Im pretty sure this is because im obese and didnt really excercise until a week ago. Suprisingly my heel doesnt hurt, it is the top red pressure point in the pic and the fat/muscle on the outside of each foot.

So will this get better over time or am I going to have to invest in better shoes or more support to put in my shoe?

Saw off your feet. They are traitors who are secretly plotting your demise, and must be dealt with immediately.

Sounds like you got hotspots, I used to get them in all them time in Basic when I was enlisted. Your feet will toughen up eventually, but in the meantime, invest in some moleskin. You can find it at most drug stores.

Also, get your shoes fitted properly, either they're too tight or too lose. Too tight, its cutting off circulation, too lose, your feet are sliding against your socks.

thanks for the info, I guess ill try out better shoes and tough it out until it goes away. The shoes i was using were pretty crappy.

You should definitely invest in a good pair of running shoes. If the sides are bothering you so much and you are obese, you most likely have a shoe too narrow for you, or the shoes are just so cheap the stitching on the inside isn't blister resistant like most good runners.

IMO mole skin would actually give you more problems almost, just jamming more stuff where you already have too much is going to cause some issues. Go invest in some good running shoes. Good ones are around 90 bucks, and its well worth it because

a) you just blew 90 bucks on a pair of shoes, gotta use em now

b) wearing shitty shoes gives you more pain and makes you want to work out less

c) good shoes are good
