General question /fit/,
what time of the day do you exercise?
i usually go running in the early morning cause its hot as hell here in the afternoons during the spring, summer and autumn.

10pm-12pm about, maybe a bit longer depending on the day and how I feel. This is right after I wake up, yeah, my schedule's pretty wierd. I also exercise outside when I do it so it's fuckin' cold right now.

Hey fitfucks,
I work out around lunchtime or late afternoon. Usually it ends up being whatever fits into my schedule. I've read the earlier in the day you work out, the more of a metabolism boost you get out of it. So those fat fucks looking to get fit, early morning runs are for you.

OP here, I agree with this.
i'm a worthless college student and am about 6 even and 165. so i'm not looking to lose weight, just get in shape.

you sound like a knowledgeable fellow. i hope you hang around here for a long time to come.

not really a boost. If you do cardio when you just wake up, you haven't really eaten anything and insulin levels are low, so it means you burn more fat.

This is my first post on /fit/.

I've been going to the gym for around two weeks now, and have been attending at ~6pm. I'd go straight after school (in b4 under-age b&) but the gym-buddy I go with prefers to go later on.

I'm not sure whether or not going later makes much difference to going earlier (ie ~6am)..Anyone want to tell me?

Also, another question: Will 40-45mins of cardio 4x a week make me lose weight, taking into account I'm limiting my food intake/replacing bad goods with good?

Some argue that there is a benefit to cardio before eating anything in the morning. However, it fucks up my eating schedule so I lift weights a little after my first meal (around 9:30 - 10 AM) and if I'm not a lazy bastard I do cardio at around 3.

most likely yes it will, but it also depends on your metabolism.
you might consider 15 minute morning jogs to warm up before breakfast, which would set a pace for your metabolism for the rest of the day.

I have a really bad sleeping pattern, but I may indeed start trying this because I find it hard to wake up in the morning. Thanks, Anon.

probably. if it doesn't have any effect after a month, start doing more. DON'T INCREASE YOUR WORKLOAD TOO FAST. your body will hate you and self-destruct.

That's what I said. The benefit is that you can burn more fat.

Just do cardio at like 8:30, then go home and eat your first meal. Simple as that.
