Things that surprise you and make you go wtf:

-Finding out that your size 33 in pants compared to the 38 you were 10-12 months ago
-Finding out your really anorexic, having an intake of 1000 calories or less each day
-Being told you look normal/average for the first time in a long time

Anorexia: can eat 200-500 kcal a day. A thousand is just lower than BMR. True anorexics pride themselves on being hungry and not eating as a form of mastering their body.

And related, bulimia: can eat 6000-10,000 kcal, then purge most of it. Very unstable and very dangerous.

Apparently, I'm at starving levels, eating about 800-1000 calories a day. But god damn it, I'm not fucking hungry. People need to get off my case. I take multivitamins in case I'm not getting something I need, though.

You're not anorexic unless you're very underweight and mean to be. Being underweight is part of the definition of anorexia. Just eating less than you should is only part of it. A fatty could eat 20 kcal a day for a month and still not be anorexic.

I went from a normal 1700-2000ish diet to a 700 calorie diet and have lost about 28 lb since early February. Do cardio with it too.

I'm like that a lot of times. I can eat a 300 calorie meal and not be hungry for awhile.

Surpisingly last year I was the opposite of this.

Enjoy being a fatty when your metabolism crawls into a corner and dies.

Anorexic isn't defined as underweight specifically. Most of the definition of Anorexic lies in the lifestyle, the severe distortion of one's own body image, calorie intake (which OPs is higher than typical anorexics) etc.

A quick google of the definition of anorexia will back me up. Part of being anorexic is weighing 85% or less what you should. Fatties and people who weigh a normal weight can have eating disorders, but they cannot, by definition, be anorexic.

I'm not the OP. What would I be called if I KNOW I'm underweight (112 pounds 5'9") and am consciously making an effort to try to gain? That's not anorexic right?

Naw that's not anorexia either. Anorexics also suffer from distorted body image. Again, wikipedia and google are your friends. They can provide a very complete definition of the disorder that can assist you in diagnosing yourself.

On a related note. How can I gain healthy weight? :( I know that I don't eat enough so I make a daily concentrated effort to eat more, and then I count how many calories I've had. What else can I do?
