when the game first came out in the arcades, i was a freshman in highschool. We played it for a good 2 or so years at the arcade after school. Was alot of fun since we had a good group of people playing together. Cost a shit ton of money...i shudder to think about all the quarters i have spent on videogames alone growing up.
Starting out on the arcade version, and since then tried the home pads, makes me feel that the home mats totally blow and take the fun out of playing the game.
If I were to get the game for my home console, I would shell out some money on ebay and get some hard pads, or take the time and look up a tutorial and make them myself.
I dont think you should supplement ddr for some good, healthy, outside exercise, but it def isnt bad, and is fun.
