Sup mis/fit/s,
Is it possible to have an awesome body (i.e. great abs, huge biceps, etc.) even when you're like, say, 70-80+ years old?
Pic very very slightly related.

That guy's pretty buff, but I loled every time his skin would stretch.

you can still be fit at 70-80, just dont expect to be winning any springing or lifting tournies. Your muscles will still be good for the endurance, but much less so on the explosive power aspect.

at that age muscle development is much slower, and very often bones are brittle and break easily from merely tripping on a carpet and hitting the hard floor. Internally bleed to death from a hip fracture. I think the bone thing is more important first, get calcium in, I think you have to do this at an early age, might not be absorbed much or at all later.

if you're still breathing there's still hope.

So assuming I have very strong bones and have been very physically active since my earlier years, this would be feasible?

Thing is by the time you get there who knows what science will have developed. One thought some people have had is nanotech to essentially go in and repair your cells.

yes. let's wait for science. get fatter and lazier, die sooner due to lacking fitness, miss the "boat of science gravy train" or something

Not exactly about huge muscles, but I remember my
uni physical health teacher about how even at 70-80, it's still possible to double your strength from exercise, and that strength is the key determinant of quality of life at that age (being able to move around and do stuff on your own I guess).
