Hey /fit/,

Let me start by saying thanks. Because of you guys I started stronglifts 5x5. After a little over 5 weeks I've increased my squat from a pitiful 100 to a somewhat decent 175 as of today, and I haven't even needed so much as a soft deload just yet. My goal right now is to hit 225 squat and bench 200, and I'm well on my way.

That being said unfortunately I find myself having to leave the country in a short while for about three weeks. Seeing as how I'll be in Peru and staying with a family of people I've never met, trying to keep up with the nutritional requirements of Stronglifts seems as if I would be asking for failure. So I've decided to take a small break and try to lean while away from home. Which leads me to my questions:

1) Could someone suggest a good HIIT program for both Bike and Running? I figure these will be my two most likely options.

2) Does anyone know roughly how many calories I should shoot for while trying to cut? (5'4" 150 pounds 13-15% BF)

3) Lastly, I've noticed lately (within the past 3 workouts or so) a pain in my upper inner thighs on the anterior side during squats. More specifically, in my adductors. I've tried stretching, but it doesn't seem to help the pain. Any idea what it may be?

3. Those are most likely the weak link in your squat and since you increased the weight they are finally needed to help lift and aren't used to it. It should stop happening when they catch up.

1) HIIT is pretty simple, alternate running at close to full pelt, with a sustainable job. Same with the bike, alternate high intensity (speed) with a sustainable one.

The recommended seems to be 30seconds:30seconds but really you can taper it to suit your level of fitness and what you prefer.
