I was walking today on a treadmill when my left leg started cramping up and hurting after just about 5 minutes. I kept walking, but after about 15 minutes the pain was too great and at that point I was limping. The pain went away after about five minutes.

What should I do?

Pic related in that I'm assuming it's going to be suggested later on in this thread..

Around 200 lbs. I've been doing some strength training for the past month, which has actually been working, and I decided to add a bit of cardio.

>Did you warm up right and stretch right?
I was walking. How do you warm up to start walking? As for stretching, a little bit. I'll try and do some more. Thing is, my right leg felt perfectly fine.

just for the record, she is way hot.

as for your problem, I have no idea. Maybe try again a d see if it hurts again.

Eat bananas, stretch, and drink more water to help prevent cramps.

I feel like a sick fuck, OPs pic is giving me a boner.

That just means you aren't prejudiced against the physically handicapped. Would you feel bad for getting a boner over a black woman?

Ok but that means nothing without your height, a 200 pound 6 foot 5 guy is way different then a 200 pound 5 foot 3 guy.

Warm up just means having your muscles warmed up. If you're walking, then just warm up with some walking. Never stretch before warming up a little bit (take a few minutes walking and then stretch). Ideally, it is WAY more important to stretch afterwards. But I don't think stretching really has anything to do with your problem unless you were really pulling/straining the muscles you were stretching instead of just a gentle pull. It sounds more like the manner in which you walk. If you're stomping or rolling your feet weird, it will make a huge impact.
