I've had 1400 calories today and I'm about to eat have dinner which should be about another 600 making it 2000. But I ran 4 miles today and burned off 500 calories. After dinner, that's going to be 1500 calories in total. Would be so terrible if I drink some soda to raise my calories? I don't want to slow down my metabolism too much. Using one of those online calculator thingies online, I need 2200 calories to maintain my weight. (not BMR) so my calorie deficit seems to high.

No sir. That soda would have only been at all acceptable if you drank it prior to your run. Otherwise, it's just going to be stored as fat probably. Then again, carbs don't become fat so easily... if you drink 200 cal of coke and exercise no further after, you might be able to digest 30 calories of it... the remaining 170, only 30% can be made into fat... so 51 calories turn into fat. Do you want that? If so, knock yourself out.

It wouldn't be at all terrible. It's not like you're drinking rat poison or a 2L bottle of anything, /fit/ fags are so fucking scared of eating/drinking anything that isn't protein powder I swear.

Eat/drink dairy. Full fat milk would help.
