Well if you're really heavy you might have trouble at first with running since it's hard on your knees. I'd suggest swimming laps if you can get to a pool. It's amazing cardio and zero impact. Besides that, the usual elliptical, bike, rower combo.
PT is pretty though though, since you need to run in boots if I remember correctly. So a few months in I'd start running on a local track if you can find one (since they're usually rubberized and thus easier on your knees).
Once you have a good base and decent endurance, start doing HIIT.
