"Stubborn Fat," myth or not? Anonymous
Im 21, 5'9, 160lb male, I have been running about thirty minutes and working out everyday for about a year now. I eat small meals (muslie cereal in morning, then snacks of nuts, dried fruit, fruit, lean meat, throughout day). I have some definition but still some fat around stomach and especially lower back/love handles. It seems like I cant lose the last five pounds or so. Is this "stubborn" fat thats harder to lose than a lot of excess weight? Should I run more?

Two food questions:
Are peanuts too fattening to have for a small meal?
Too many carbs in plain white rice, or no big deal?

<pic related, its me.

Looks just like some loose skin, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

looks like your "run" is a 1/2 mile walk to the store for a box of hot pockets and your workout is lifting them into the microwave.

Nuts. Which he eats.

that's not really enough. they contain mainly monounsaturated, and he may not be eating enough of them. he also needs saturated fats. also, where is the polyunsaturated?

the problem with many people when they diet is they don't get enough healthy fats, so they don't really get any healthier and won't loose weight optimally. diet is as misunderstood as exercise.

I agree, but few people will believe saturated fat is good for them unless they try it themselves and see the results.
