Hey /fit/, I've had several tonsiloliths come out of my tonsils for a few years. Just now I had a big one that's been stuck for about a week come out (not pictured). Is there anything bad coming from these?

I get those smelly fuckers when a throat infection is imminent :-(

I just dislodge them with a q-tip and spit them out. I don't think they're harmful.
>> Juddy
omg. i always get those. i thought it was just food stuck in the back of my throat. i have one in my mouth right now. they stink like when you floss if you havent for a while

They aren't, it's just bits of food that get caught up in your tonsils. Over time, they build up with guck surrounding them.

They're like pearls!

That said I've never had them becuase I take time to fucking brush.

You brush your tonsils?
I can't help but get these. One of my tonsils is permanently enlarged with large holes/pockets. I'd get it removed if I wasn't a poorfag with no insurance.

I have one stuck in my tonsil right now. I can stick my tongue into my left tonsil but not my right when I want to pick them out.

The odor that emanates as bad breath from tonsils is caused by sulfur compounds produced by bacteria. The bacteria live and multiply in and on the tonsil stones aka tonsiloliths , thus they will not be affected much by brushing the teeth or tongue, or rinsing the mouth with antibacterial mouthwashes

Fortunately, organics are easily reduced by solutions of 35% sodium hydroxide. I heartily recommend gargling with this every night.

I had these before out of no where it seemed. No idea what the hell they where and got really nervous. I ended up going to a clinic and spending $117 on just the visit to find out it wasn't any big deal.

Fuck.

This will dissolve your tonsils, throat and digestive tract.

Enjoy your multiple surgeries.

I get this crap sometimes. Lot less as of recently, but it is nasty. I was a little freaked out at first till I found out it really is nothing...I think using my mouthwash a lot recently has cut down on them

Dude I never thought anybody else had these
And I could never figure out what they were called
These things are AMAZING, I produce one every week or two.
Once I notice it, I just gently alter my breathing a little and it helps itself out within a few seconds.

ROFL is that what those things are? I always thought it was food stuck under my tongue or something

This thread makes me glad I had my tonsils removed when I was five.

A good way to prevent these is to drink and gargle water after everything you eat, hopefully rinsing away stray food particles so that they don't get caught in the folds or pits of the tonsils. Other than that, there's not much to be done about them other than getting surgery to remove the tonsils.

The next time I make one I'll take a picture for you guys! They're really resilient and bounce back to their original shape when you squeeze them.

Ever smelled at them?
They STINK, as in rotting corpse.
these buggers are the most evil and vile shit in your body, full of bacteria.
I clean my tonsils every other day with an old nailfile.
