Hi /fit/
I has problem. I would quite like to start building my muscles. I am fairly athletic already but would like more upperbody strength. Until now I have kept in shape by being generally active. I would like to have a workout and schedule, but whereever I find routines and schedules they ALL have this BS about calculating your calorie intake. I am sure eating a fairly normal diet is sufficient to gain muscle mass?

tl;dr- Who actually pays attention to all that calorie intake crap? What the hell is wrong with just eating normally? (as long as normal isn't junk&no veg)

Because you're probaly looking at bodybuilding/weightlifting stuff, And yes, then higher calorie intakes support that. You said you wanted to have more upperbody strenght? If so, You might wanna look into "Naked Warrior" stuff, This will give you HUGE core strenght, But if you're going for MUSSLES FOR GURLZ, then yes, you have to pay attention to the calorie intake crap and do insane routine's

Calorie counting is for fat people who don't want to do enough cardio, also for hardgainers who can't put on weight.

Life is too short for me. Just up your protein, and eat sensibly.

I'm not particularly looking for MUSSELS FOR GURLZ but I am hoping that I will fill out a little bit. As I am a mountain biker and ride everywhere I already have pretty strong legs. All muscle, barely any fat at all. I'm quite proud of them ^_^
But yeah, I look a little bit out of proportion now. Aesthetically I just want to correct that a bit. My main goal is to be stronger, not a BEEFCAKE.
