Here, we will post how much weight we have lost since we started to diet, details are nice.
Hopefully we'll motivate others like we have been motivated by this board.

Okay, remember quite a while ago when we were talking about negative calorie foods?
Well, I decided that I would try this over the course of 2 weeks.

I went to the hospital to get my ankle checked (broken btw), so they weighed me.
I was 215.

I then decided that since I know my exact weight, I might as well start my 2 week diet (2 weeks because thats when my next appointment was, and they planned to weigh me again).

Well, I basically ate mostly negative foods, with about one meal a day that had meat, usually about 500-600 calories (one meal a day, might as well be big).

I went in after the two weeks, and I was 205 WITH my walking boot, which is about 3-5 pounds.

Congratulations, kinda.

See, if you lose that much weight in one week, your body will soon start to react to the incredible lack of nutrition and calories it's receiving. This is called 'starvation mode' whereby it clings to as many fat resources it can because it has been ld to believe you're stranded on a desert island, or somesuch.

A slow, steady rate of weight loss is around 2lb/week. I know it must be great at your size seeing the weight drop off, but it's a fact that slower loss means longevity - it will STAY off.

As for myself, I started Fitness First around 2 weeks ago, and I've went from 189 to 184.. I'm glad to see progression - not that I'm counting that much or anything (weight and bodyfat are different things) but just being there training 5 nights a week feels fucking fantastic.

Stick with your goals, being a gym rat is great fun.
