what's an easy way to slim down quick aside from various diseases/surgeries/misc crap?

so far I've just been doing sit-ups, but i have a treadmill at my disposal, but that's about it. already watching my food intake, trying to eat healthier, etc.

Ok, diet, no candy, or sugary drinks. Drink plenty of water, do push ups, crunches, jumping squats, HIIT training. All things you can do with your body weight. Also, go visit www.bodybuilding.com and check the forums.

It would be alright to cut out all sugary drinks but a glass of tea once or twice a week, right? It's a southern thing.

I wish I knew what the least amount of calories you could have a day and not get headaches and that sort of thing. I'm all for fasting but that shit gives me migraines.

>The why are anorexic people so skinny? I feel like that's just something fatties say to make themselves feel better about the fact that someone else is skinny.

I personally see no problem with it if you just want to restrict your calories. I think all this 'eat six small meals a day' shit is pure garbage.

What works is different for everybody.

Personally I can restrict my calories and skip meals. That works for me. But I'm sure it wouldn't work for a lot of people.

lol, what the hell are you talking about? I didn't mention any of that in my post.

Okay, we have a misunderstanding here. I'll explain.
I was wondering the least amount of calories you could have in a day without causing problems i.e. headaches. Without answering my question you hit me with the metabolism argument which I took for the six meal propaganda. I responded with equally stupid anorexia bullcrap. In other words, hurrrrr.

1200 is the minimum for a sedentary petite person. You really don't want to go below your bmr because it will make your body cling desperately to the fat you have. Sounds counter intuitive but to loose weight you need to exercise and eat more not less.

I guess I reacted like that since you mentioned fasting. Anyway, once you start going below a 500 calorie deficit, you've pretty much hit the point of diminishing returns. You can only safely lose 1 - 2 pounds of FAT a week, unless you're morbidly obese. If you start eating less than that, you'll be losing a lot more muscle along with the fat. If you stay significantly below a 500 calorie deficit for an extended period of time, your metabolic rate goes down. This has absolutely nothing to do with the six meal a day thing you mentioned. You will simply have to eat less than you used to to even maintain weight. Besides, what is the point of punishing yourself further, putting yourself at risk for disordered eating, if you can eat more to lose that fat?

Also the eating 6 times a day thing is connected, if your body is always being fed it won't feel the need to store fat as much.

Eat most of your carbs in the morning and limit the number of carbs you eat as the day goes on, they digest quick and have a better chance of turning into fat when youre less active, you don't need as much energy in the evening/night as you do in the day. The trick is to turn your body into a fat burning machine, not starve it. That won't last you'll gain it right back.

Alright, I'll have to calculate what's right for me from my BMI then. It's actually not a punishing thing for me. I prefer to eat very little but I just don't like having headaches. I'm sure it sounds like an anorexia excuse but I just have an appetite problem I suppose. I've definitely been doing much more than a 500 calorie deficit so I'll just try to work out what's right for me keeping that in mind.

swim 1000 meters daily

you dont have to do it all at once, maybe 500 or 250 at a time, but you will get results for sure
