hey folks.

I just meditated. It was pretty short, only around 15 minutes or so I think. I started by relaxing all of my muscles as groups from my head down, then I began to concentrate on happy memories.. times with my family and my girlfriend at home (in b4 no girlfriend, enjoy your hand). slowly I began to become aware of my body as a unity, and i felt a strange cohesiveness and link to the rest of my body that I've never felt before. then my body began to feel warm, and I felt a strange energy growing in my whole body, in every part equally (and i also got a halfer). the feeling (along with the boner) became more intense as i slowed my breathing and concentrated my thoughts on that feeling. I shied away because it became frightening, and didn't continue further.... does anyone know what I was experiencing and has anyone here experienced anything similar?

You were experiencing the first or second stage of an out of body experience, which is achieved through meditation. If you let that feeling grow and not be scared by it, you start seeing trippy shit. I experienced a feeling like falling 10 feet down, and though I'm no where near the level some people are with it, I can suggest u keep on relaxing and meditating, you can have really lucid dreams through this too. Look up monroe's out of body expierence book for more info.

I don't believe you have had an OOBE, enjoy sitting quietly in a room doing nothing.

You'll say that until you're in the fucking arctic, wanting to control your temperature by just meditating

That's called dozing off. Sit, sit, sit, "Oh fuck, I'm falling!"

This happens to me sometimes, and I am not sure why but I find fully accepting it as scary/frightening as well. It might be the fear of loss of control - or might be the fear of being stuck in that state.

I have taken it to the far most point of discomfort level that I can tolerate a few times. Some time, I think I will attempt to cross that line. The times that were the most intense seem to be when I least expect it, like zoning as a passenger in a car/bus and concentrating on the sunlight breaks between trees. Once I tried some mp3 downloads that aid in achieving lucid dreaming - and I hit the discomfort zone in record time. It was hard to explain, but it was similar to when you look at stereo pictures attempting to get the pics to merge into one to see the 3d pic. The MP3 was different to each ear - then after listening for about 15-30 minutes, the two different tones became one and I entered that 'state'. It was so sudden that it whipped me out of the trance and I ripped the headphones off my head.

I know the /b/tards on this board will shred that post, but maybe it will make sense to you, OP.

I'm not saying I experienced a full OOBE, plus they can be achieved through meditation/ sitting quietly in a room.

You were going to have a wet dream but being potty trained your body naturally blocks it off because it assumed that you were about to urinate
