Soup guise,

Fat fuck here. I'm 6'1 and 250 lbs and It's time to lose some weight. I don't know where to start but I have something planned out, It looks something like this...

1. Jog for 30-60 minutes every morning.
2. Weight lift for 15-40 minutes in the afternoon.
3. Do situps/crunches for 30 minutes in the evening.

This seems like a okay way to start, only problem is getting healthy food. I'm a Mexicunt and live at home with my parents while I go to school. Mexican food isn't healthy in general so I'll have to work around that. So a couple of questions...

1. What kind of food should I be eating?
2. Should I be taking vitamins?
3. Do I need to eat breakfast and such? (I generally eat only once or twice a day, skipping breakfast)

I feel like If I'm not eating healthy food through out the day, that means all the exercise I did was wasted because I ate what I lost.

following that routine should be enough, but I would suggest more time in the gym and less focus on the crunches. larger muscle mass fuels more effecient weightloss, and crunches don't make abs visible, losing the fat does.

for diet, I would say head on over to t-nation.com and check their beginners forum. there's "7 rules of eating right" or somesuch, it's a pretty good guide. to be honest, I'd suggest lurking t-nation a bit anyway, they give very good advice and plenty of material for beginners to digest. anyway, once you've figured that out, it gets very easy to eat healthy. BREAKFAST IS REQUIRED. just so you know. vitamins and supplements come after you've fixed diet and are doing everything else right. if you're doing shit wrong all the supplements in the world won't help.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I dont mean bacon & eggs. I mean cereals, fruit, maybe a youghurt. Lurking the interbutts should give you plenty of info about healthy diets. I would not reccomend vitamin complements tho.

Also maybe you should put more time into running. A friend of mine did the forrest gump protocol, running til he couldnt run more, and went from 180 to 120 kilos in 6 months. Just pick your headphones.

Yep, always eat breakfast, get some oatmeal and buy some splenda, eat that and some fruits with low fat milk and you are golden. You could also get oatmeal flakes which taste better but have a bit more calories but still is better than eating eggs and bacon. LOL you still can eat eggs but don't over do it. Do cardio every day after you start getting used to it, check HIIT for an alternative when you get in better shape. Do at least 50 min of weight lifting cause it makes you burn fat faster. Eat low carb food and eat lots of vegetables eat at least 5 times a day to keep your metabolism running all day. mmm What else?, cheat from time to time so you wont get insane HAHA eat 2 slices of pizza after 1 week of eating healthy to take that urge. And you will need a lot of will power, because this is a new lifestyle. Espero que te ayude esto, suerte.

Good information.

How much should I be sleeping? I pretty much don't have a set bed time, I sleep when I feel like it. Should I work on keeping a steady bed time? I usually sleep 10-12 hours every night, If I don't use a Alarm Clock. Should I start using a Alarm Clock? I take courses in the evening.

I'm aiming on waking up at about 5-6 AM every morning so I can jog before the sun comes up.

How Important is the Gym? I live in a pretty shitty suburb so going to a Gym is pretty much out of the question.

Will running and lifting 30 lb dumbells do the job?
