Question, /fit/. When I was fourteen, I went down from 195 to 135 in about 4 and a half months. Was that dangerous at all? Because thinking back, I did lose it pretty fast. I think I was around 5'3"-4"

It depends on how you did it.

I lost 40 lbs in 2 months from temporary bulimia.

Thanks to that little stint a year ago, I've now in the best shape of my life, and feel great. Apparently, eating disorders aren't as "addictive" as people say- pussies.

OP here. I ate about 1000 calories a day and jogged for an hour a day.

Nobody? I was hoping for a response by the time I had gotten back...

Anything faster than 1-2 pounds of a week is supposedly bad for you. A doctor can tell you better than us.

as long as you don't still do it, ok... it's not a healthy way to lose weight, but if you're in good shape now and don't self-harm, there are currently no problems... if you get chubby again though, fix it the right way (proper diet + exercise)

you can safely do it faster than that... just have to know what you're doing and how to do it (typically this means get medical/nutritional supervision)

it seems to be a fuck of a lot easier when you're young. I went from chubby to stick in about two months when I was 15 or so.
>> rowerfag
this is true... it's also easier (surprisingly enough) if you are sedentary.... chubby athletes have a hell of a hard time cutting their fat (see linemen, etc.)

Firstly, why would an o lineman need to lose weight? They need to stay huge, for obvious reasons (They are still amazing athletes though, don't let their size deceive you)

Secondly, you're saying that being active makes it harder to lose weight? I really can't agree with this, because, you know, you burn calories through exercise, so just by lowering your caloric intake (Cutting out the crap foods) and working out would make you lose weight, easy.
>> rowerfag
if you're in athletic shape and you suddenly stop, it is very easy to gain weight...

also an olineman wouldn't want to lose weight... but he'd have a harder time getting rid of say 5% BF than a slug with the same BF% would....

Most athletes eat quite a bit, because they need to, so unless they adjusted their diets properly, yeah if they stop exercising they'll gain weight. Hence many pro athletes getting fat after retirement.

The only way I can see an olineman having a harder time, is because they are most likely larger than the slug (300+ pounds) so their percentage is much higher, but it isn't harder for him to lose weight.
