I think it's time to get rid of the myths and false information being thrown around here. (ex. squatz are bad for your knees, etc) Set all the 'advice' that makes you rage straight.

squats are not bad for your knees. in fact, it is less stresst o go to paralellel. it recruits more muscles and if you use proper form, the knees won't be absorbing all the stress.

deadlifts are also not bad for your back. again, this depends on you form. obviously anything can be bad for you but you must be smart.

carbs will not make you get fat and prevent you from getting a 6 pack. it's eating a too many carbs that will do this. switch to whole grain pasta and brown rice and you can continue to eat like a mexican/italian at a buffet and not worry about becoming a fat fuck so long as your diet is clean.

Parallel is worse for your knees. It is better to go deepest while maintaining a back arch.

So then what should be done when you have a knee injury? I had Osgood-Schlatter disease when I was a kid. It was only on one knee but both my knees are kind of bad. They almost always crack when I bend down, or after sitting or standing still for a long time.

well i got the ab lounge.

so i was lounging the other day when the ab lounge broke and i said damnit because i bought ab lounge from tv just 2 week ago. i was like ab lounge take that but i pretended that it breaking was because i wanted to show it my power.

What kind of knee injury, may I ask? I hurt my knee practicing martial arts about almost 2 years ago, and I still have some pain. Cycling and running don't irritate it though, and some days are worse than others, though I have improved. The doctor suggested that I may have lost cartilage, and that the pain was only "manageable". But I'm only 22, and it's too early for me to give up on a fully active lifestyle. If there's anything I can do to completely relive myself of this burden, that'd be great.

I would think maybe lunges of some sort would be good but not sure. I just know that I got great lunge workouts without irritating my knee but when I did an intense squat workout I irritated my knee and it has been pissy ever since.
