/fit/ how do you get motivated to exercise every day? I only exercise a couple times a week and I'd really like to do more and start losing weight but I'm just too lazy. Any books I should read or articles?

Think of yourself in the future. I'm being serious, too. Each time you look in the mirror, imagine yourself at your peak. Although perfection doesn't exist, self satisfaction does. Also, it's good to have a buddy to workout with. He/she can help motivate you and both of you can rebound off of one another. It also helps to be part of a sport.

I lie in my bed every day stroking my abs for 2-3 hours

Getting a workout buddy is the best idea.

Just don't get one who's less motivated than you are.

Start working out with a friend who is in better shape than you are, he will motivate you.

Who needs fucking motivation? I need to restrain myself from working out all the time.
Just pull through the first couple months, once your body turns good, you'll HAVE FUN working out.

Realize there are no easy answers. There's no easy way to get in shape, there's no easy way to eat right, and there's no easy way to motivate yourself. Either suck it up and struggle through it or don't.

you've got to keep telling yourself this. Over and over. Even when you want to stop. Especially then. you need to form this new habit. this can take time. Repetition. repetition. Repetition.

You just slug it out for a while then it becomes a habit, then it becomes something you enjoy.

Same, by choice I would work out until I fell over then eat then rest for a few hours then do it again.

Once you get into a routine, it'll be easier. Like... I HATE MY REST DAY because all I want to do is run/lift. Makes you feel so good.

I also hate my running days because I don't lift weights those days. But at the same time I hate my lifting days because I dont get to run.

Each day there is a new pleasure.

1. Make plan.
2. Write it down.
3. Stick to it.
