SQUATZ Anonymous
alright /fit/

when i first started squatz, i noticed that my knees (mainly left) made crunchy sounds. i ignored them because i thought they were either natural knee noise or something that would go away. i've never had knee problems before i squatted, and YES my form is perfect.

my right and left knees were painful at first, now the right knee pain has vanished but my left knee is worse than ever. i can feel pain if i lightly rub the side of my knee, and if i attempt to bend it beyond a 90 degree angle.

discontinue squats?

relevant to my interests, my right knee makes crunchy sounds as well. no pain though.

OP HERE WATCH OUT GUYS YOU'LL GET PAIN EVENTUALLY OH GOD ALL OUR KNEES ARE GOING TO EXPLODE

srsly how to stop pain. i love squatz but i'm not going to carry on if my knees are going to be fucked as a result

You're likely not squatting right.

Squatting properly should cause no knee problems what so ever...

My 2 cents:
Crunchy noises are usually not bad.
Crunchy noises + pain is bad.
Do not damage your meniscus, serious shit.
Pain in the knee can come from different sources: Worn down or damaged cartiledge / meniscus, which is really bad.
Or just sore muscles, tendons, which is not bad.
Tldr: If you are unsure, see a doc.
