Hey there /fit/. I have a question about calves. I have skinny calves, and when I feel shorts, I feel that they are disproportionate to the rest of my body. I just feel like my legs look like twigs compared to the rest of my body. Anywho, are there any good methods to get muscles on those calves? I'd appreciate the advice.

OP here, sorry, when I wear shorts, not feel them.

Put your toes on a chair, hang your heels out and roll up and down on the balls of your feet x1000

Run in place. I work my calfs the most when I run for some reason.

it's probably genetics, I have monstrous calves I've never worked.

Run barefoot, do calf raises, or just run on your toes. That whole heel to toe running style will destroy your knees faster.

Jump rope

Try this calf exercise:
Pick one exercise, standing calf raises, seated calf raises, donkey calf raises, whatever. Set a weight that you can do at least 20 reps. Do those reps to failure. Then wait less than ten seconds and with the same weight, do more reps to failure. Repeat, etc., until you hit a total rep count of 75. You will fuck your calves up every time, guaranteed. They grow like weeds in the face of such high intensity.

Agreed. I've been doing this for a few months and it works like a charm. I start go to 100 the first week, then bump the weight up and do 75 the next week. If you have access to a hack squat machine try doing some calf raises on that as well.
