OK, the first thing people tell you when you say you want to lose weight is to cut out soda. "Nothing but empty calories and sugar," they say. However, reading labels, buying fruit juices (actual juices, not like... kool-aid or something), they have the same amount of calories and sugars per serving. Am I supposed to cut out any kind of sweet liquid from my diet?Picture unrelated.
Yes. Drink water, unsweetened tea, or unsweetened coffe.
drink water. you can get those flavored packets of white tea to add to your bottled water to give it flavor if you desire.but if you're trying to lose weight, you really want to save all your daily calories for the food. taking in calories in liquid form isn't gonna help you...(cept for milk)

Have non-sugar soda. It replaces the sugar with possibly harmful chemicals, but if it hasn't done anything to me after half a decade of a seven-can-a-day habit it never will.
I think drinking lots of coffee would speed up your metabolism, but don't put any cream or sugar in it.
>>387179Actually I've only ever regularly drunk black tea. I like it. A lot.
>>387208Same. Well, unsweetened tea in general I love. Plain coffee is a little bitter for my tastes.
>>387191Signed. Once you stop buying fruit juice, pop, etc, you'll get used to not having sweet liquids around.
