Hey /fit/, I'm off to buy running shoes, and i was wondering which ones are really great? Im looking to be running mostly on Asphalt and occasionally grass/dirt + Tread mill. Probably 2 miles a day or more. I was leaning towards asics since most athletic runners i know wear them. Any suggestions?

Im guessing those stores aren't journeys or nike or those generic shoe stores. How would I find a running shoe store or just what store has knowledgeable salespersons? And most salesmen will spout shit to satisfy my desire of what I want only to find out its complete shit.

I previously had a pair of Reebok training shoes, and thought they were fine. Eventually they got warn out and my sister recommended Asics, I went and got a pair and the first thing I noticed when I put them on was they felt really odd while walking around, almost uncomfortable. At this point I was a little bit dissatisfied with my purchase, but then I tried running in them and holy shit it blew my mind. Somehow they became a totally different shoe. It felt like they suctioned onto my foot when I started running, giving a really comfortable natural feeling stride that I had never experienced in previous pairs of shoes. I still don't like walking around in them, but as soon as I start running it's the best shoe I've ever owned. It's hard to explain, but asics kick some serious ass.

Fuck, i'm starting to lean towards Asics... And anyone know where they sell in? There isn't a general Asic store close to where I live.
