squats, /fit/,
I can't do 'em.
Whenever I try to, my back leans forward and I simply can't keep it straight.
Taking a wider stance (with more space between my feet, so to speak) helps a little, but the effect is still pathetic.
Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?
I'm 1,88 cm tall and around 75 kg

do them in the mirror with just the bar, technique first

Use a lifting belt. It should keep your back in a straighter line.

It's normal for your entire back to lean forward. You want to maintain lordosis (normal curve of the spine), but the back can be at 45ยบ from vertical without problem.

If the problem is that you can't maintain lordosis, you probably lack core strength (upper spine rounding), or have tight hamstrings which pull your pelvis out of alignment at the bottom (lower spine rounding).

I'd suggest a regime of core strength extecises - particularly Turkishes Get Ups (google them) until you can do 80-100 lbs on them, and Overhead Squats. These will teach you all about squat form, besides being a terrific exercise.
