Sup /fit/, I look kinda like the picture, and decided to do something about it. I've been eating fruits and vegetables instead of other snacks and gave up soda completely. I've been running 6 days a week and doing the hundred push ups program. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't lost a single pound or seen any difference in my belly fat.

TL;DR I'm 6'3 210 pounds and have been working out and eating right. Why haven't I seen any results?

there's no way that if you're 75" tall you look that fat. i know thats not you in the pic but its not physically possible for you to look that fat at that weight and height.

If you haven't lost any weight whatsoever, then I call shenanigans on your diet claims.

how long / how far do you run?

did you cut the carbs?

add tuna, chicken/turkey, egg whites, 1 glass of orange juice, vegetables, fruits, beans, and a couple pieces of lean meat to your diet. stay away from a lot of sugars and sodium as well, if you eat canned veggies/fruits they are usually loaded with sodium

Just as an example, I'll post what I ate today. It might not be all that great to you, but it's a pretty big change to me.

Breakfast: 1 bowl of oatmeal with strawberries.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with mustard
Snack: 1 Banana
Dinner: Eggs.
I usually have a glass of orange juice with my breakfast, but I ran out yesterday and haven't been to the store, so just water for me.

I usually run on the treadmill at my house on the strength cardio and interval settings and alternate between days. I run from 30 minutes to an hour depending on how I'm feeling.

>Lunch: Turkey sandwich with mustard
get rid of the bread and its carbs

>Dinner: Eggs.
ditch the yoke, use 1 yoke for flavor and the rest egg whites

>treadmill
this is kind of a psychological thing, you run but dont go anywhere so you might think you ran more than you did. id suggest getting in your car, use the odometer to measure out a mile around your block, then time yourself running it. to get in a good 30minutes+ you'll probably need to run 3-4 miles, granted unless youre really in shape you wont be able to run that whole distance, so run a mile, take a break, walk the next mile, break for 30min or so and cool off and get hydrated, repeat

wrong dumb fuck, the yoke is the most nutritious part of the egg. stupid faggots like you keep spreading this mis-information.

There is no connection between injesting LDL and raising LDL levels. just like all other foods it is broken down into its component parts and used as needed. If eating something added it to the body then we should cut up bodybuilders and eat them.

You basically told him to cut out all carbs and fat, which is clearly not good advice.

To OP: You haven't reduced your calorie intake enough. Eating fruit and vegetables doesn't help if you are still taking in more calories than you are using up. It doesn't matter what you eat, only that the calorie intake is lower than the calorie expenditure.

Just to add one thing to this, when you cut carbs too low, guess what happens? Your liver begins converting proteins into glucose and glycogen. Anytime you cut carbs, your body is still getting the same effect of carbs from all the protein you eat. Ask most nutritionists or health professionals (EDUCATED ones, not your school nurse or something). Your body uses proteins for this because it knows fats more important for survival.

You need glucose, which in turn is often formed into glycogen for your organs. You'll die without glucose and glycogen in your body, we even have a natural backup conversion system to compensate for a lack of carbs in the diet.

To this end, low carb diets actually do nothing. They do more harm than good because most people take in way too much cholesterol and sodium on low carb diets. A lot of people trick themselves into thinking low carb diets cause weight loss, but in actuality they lose weight simply because they also happen to be cutting CALORIES.

There is ONE thing about low carb and that is that, in the VERY short term, it does cause more weight loss than a balanced diet, but that's because it sends the body into a panic mode temporarily where it starts relying on stored fat. Once it leaves this panic mode, your liver works overtime to turn protein into glucose.
