I hate puberty.
I'm a late teen with stubborn spots that do not want to leave.
I lead a fairly active lifestyle (Dance, gym, and basketball) with a fairly healthy diet. I drink plenty of water daily yet these fuckers are still on my face!

What should I change/improve in my lifestyle to help with this problem?

or, dermatologist and get accutane

2.5% benzoyl peroxide. a SHIT TON. twice a day. 10% doesn't do anything more, except dry your skin even more and too much drying is bad. Also, non-comodegenic moisturizer.

I'm 20, had acne since i was 16. started using neutrogena onthespot bout 2 months ago. it's bascially is the only thing that's worked this well, this fast, for this long.

Accutane fucks shit up, if you're unlucky. Unlike other medicines that are entirely safe.

True, but when it works it's magnificent. Roll the dice.

Other medications, topicals like Benzoyl Peroxide make you dependent. Sometimes forever. I would rather go through accutane to take care of my acne if needed, then have easy care afterwards with topicals than having to apply globs and globs of that shit twice a day everyday for the rest of my life.

Once you start BP for a couple of months it probably will clear your skin a lot but you can't just stop or you'll get breakouts worse than when you started.

Shit is ridiculous and like I said, some months on a mild dose of accutane to get rid of some persistant problem areas would be a permanent fix.

If you use BP and want to find out, stop using it for 3 days or so and find out. Some see a difference in just skipping a day.

yeah, i can see a breakout, but why *worse*

yah, i was 18 before they went away.

just remember: the worst part of being a teenager is that no one tells you the impermanence of the experience :\

I meant if you stopped BP entirely you would end up worse than when you started, most likely. Some say BP thins out the skin and makes it more acne prone. Ask people who have stopped it they'll tell you the same thing, read around acne.org

Benzol peroxide, get a cream with a good amount of that it and use it regularly in conjunction with washing your face regularly.

whos to say your acne hasnt gotten worse overtime but the BP has helped keep it back? BP is not a cure its a preventive measure.
