RAAAGE against the Creatine. Anonymous
Okay, guys. I'm going to open Pandora's Box. I am opening the shitstorm gates of oblivion in this thread. Here goes:

I've been working out for a year now and I've made very little progress. I admit it is my workload, so just recently, about a month ago, I started working out even heavier and it's been working. So here's my problem. I want to use CREATINE (in b4 in b4 anything about shitstorms of creatine) because I heard it works miracles. I'm a pretty scrawny guy and I want to take safe supplements including whey and I would like to be informed on this creatine fad.

PANDORA'S BOX HAS OPENED. DO YOUR WORST, /fit/!

creatine is great, but your case just sounds like you havent lifted to your full potential. Head over to www.stronglifts.com and check out the 5x5 program, works wonders. I have been lifting for quite some time, and thought I was pretty experienced. Then I tried out the SL5x5 and doubled my squat 1RM.

Def go for the 5x5 first, and if it works, stick with it till you plateau, then try deloading your weight. If it still doesnt work, CREATINNNNNEEEE

OP here. I've heard that there's a difference between strength and mass training and isn't 5x5 for strength (since I've also heard that the rep range for mass is 8-12). Correct me if I'm wrong, I lifted so much and I'm still inexperienced, good sir.

powerlifters and mass builders should do a bit of both. you've probably gotten really used to the way you're training so switch things up a bit.

but anyways, to stay on topic, creatine is great. it's not a MIRACLE drug by any means, but it gives you that extra little push at the end of sets. you'll notice it. it's no steroid but it does work. giv'er a shot

if you want to build mass do a heavy mass to failure (at least 15 reps) this is how bodybuilders bulk and tone, if you want to be a bodybuilder get rid of any ideas of being a squating champion.

it's really not that big of a deal.

fuck creatine, just get some whey and pla out a better routine

There is nothing dangerous about creatine. Creatine isn't like a fucking steroid or anything, it's about as harmless as whey protein. Been on that shit for over a year and I haven't died or anything.

He's right, you get it from eating meat naturally, the same way you get whey protein from drinking milk. Take it, it's good for you.

all that powder has to go through your Liver, it's not the greatest of ideas in the long run. especially if you work out for health benefits instead of vanity

When I starter working out I could lift very low numbers. Then I started taking creatine monohydrate (took a lot in the first period then after some days I only took 5g each morning and evening). I could lift a bit more and I could finish 5x5 without problems.
Then I thought, what the hell, I'll try a few weeks without it. Now I can't lift as much as I did and struggle with 5x5 at times (depending on what sort of lift I'm doing).

From my experience creatine works. Either that or I'm training like a retard (quite possible, no tutors or experienced people to ask for help).
But I thought to myself, if it's only the creatine lifting I might as well be weaker and work myself up.

ROFL@ the guy who thinks creatine passes through the liver. You fail.
>> Anonymous
>>126403

It doesn't? I thought that was partially the reason you need to drink lots of water. Or maybe that's the creatine I'm using (FAKE).
>> Anonymous
>>126403

LOL @ you for being a faggot. Everything passes through your liver, jackass. Even protein. Consuming vast amounts of protein is really bad for you. That;s why the rule of thumb is 1-1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight, you fuck.

Read a fucking anatomy and physiology book, moron.

I heard creatine makes you look really bloated.

Any truth to this?
>> Anonymous
>>126303
very common results. i get about a 5-10 % reduction in workout weight if i go off creatine for a few weeks.

my experience, creatine is safe and effective. you add 5-10 lbs of water weight and keep it as long as you are taking it (this explains the "bloat"). you piss out the water after less than a week if you cycle off. it is not a steroid. you need to try it and see how it effect you. if you don't like it, stop taking it and it will clear your system in a few days.

o.p.: strength and mass training are 2 very very different things. i have a 6 month strength cycle that works great for me. it focuses on core exercises of skwatz, bench press and deadlifts and varies other exercises monthly.

i finish that and go on a size program for 9 weeks. then cycle back and forth. diet need to change accordingly.

You said in your first post that you increased your workload and "it seems to be working" ....
So why do you even need the creatine?
>> Anonymous
>>126868
Yes, all it does is cause your cells to store more fluid.

>>126895

Any way not to get bloated? Cause I dont want to look fat.

>>126910

lol I didint want it to come out like that. I mean honestly I am an idiot when it comes to this. Like if I take creatine will I look fat for a little while till the results of the extra lifting kick in? I heard if you drink alot of water you wont get bloated cause you will piss it out or something. Totally serious not a troll, halp.

FAIL

It quickens the rate at which the phosphate group is replaced in used energy, ADP, turning it back into usable able energy, ATP.

Your body makes creatine based on how much you give it. You normally get it from red meat and produce as much as you take in. It's what replenishes your energy when lifting heavy ALWAYS.

ITT creatine faggots that don't know shit about creatine like every other creatine thread here in fit. everyone fails, especially the guy who said creatine doesn't pass through the liver. be fails the most out of everyone in 4chan and /b/
>> deleted
medic here...
it does pass through your liver but the main pressure is on your Kidneys. That is why some diets that focus on eating meat are not good for your kidneys. Same is with the Creatin
