I guarantee if you go cold turkey off of soda and replace it with water, you'll drop 5 lbs. in 2 weeks.

When you drink soda, all that sugar causes your body to flood you with insulin. Insulin promotes fat storage, so any fat you eat with soda will go straight to your hips. Alcohol can also cause a similar effect, so avoid the munchies when you drink

I don't get why you say this. Tons of guys post threads like this, looking for advice and everyone is happy to give it. Why can't a girl look for advice? Stop drinking soda. Running is clearly not enough. Clean up your diet and you'll see results. Add in more than just running.

When weight loss is tough, for whatever reason, its because you're being too loose with yourself. Count your calories. Time your exercise. If you run a mile in 10 minutes, congrats, but you didn't run near enough to do any fat burning.

Cardio must either be 30 minutes following weight lifting or more than 45 minutes without lifting to be effective at burning fat.

If you're not doing this, you're not trying hard enough, and you won't get results. Period.

Wait, but what about HIIT? Are you saying HIIT doesn't burn fat, or does what you just said not apply to HIIT?

That'll trash your weight lifting. Do HIIT twice a week MAXIMUM. If you REALLY want to strip body fat get your diet in order then do two low intensity sessions 45 minutes twice a day. HIIT is just the icing on the cake.
