/fit/ I need your wisdom. On tuesday I went to the gym, all was well. I even lifted a little more than I usually do. The time before that it was also good, I had energy and I could do everything I wanted. Today I just felt like I had no energy. I tried running but I had to push myself just to go what I normally go. Weights, I could barely get out what I did last time(hell for some of the free weights I couldn't). So my question to you is, what could have caused the drastic difference in what I believe to be energy levels? I mean I am pretty sure my muscles didn't atrophy in the 2 days I didn't go to the gym and my diet hasn't really changed.

tl;dr: Difference in performance in the gym today compared to last couple times. Why? No change in diet.

How long have you been lifting?

not very long. I did for a month or 2 during the semester, restarted again a week - week and a half ago.

You'll be fine. Just make sure to eat before you go to the gym (carbs are good) and maybe take some vitamin B.

I've haven't missed a workout in 6 months, but sometimes I just have an off day and have to move down on every lift. Don't worry about it.

alright cool. I was just curious as to why this happened, as I said before, I haven't been lifting very long so am not very experienced as to the what happens along the way. This just really surprised me.

oh and sage for an answered thread
