Would like some advice /fit/.

It's winter now, i'm recently heartbroken and looking at using this motivation to change my life.

I'm obese. Going to be starting Weights and a light routine to lose weight, can /fit/ recommend any specific things i should be doing? Can provide any additional information (also have started eating much better, not planning all my meals, but fruits, vegetables, fish, no pasta... lol... last thing i need :P)

Hope you guys can offer something helpful ^_^

get a buddy/trainer/someone if you can, learn it right the first time.

pasta can work if it's whole grain /wholemeal flour /germ flour. just avoid the unholy refined crap, i.e. white sugar/flours. this is not excuse to eat brown sugar, it's the same thing. drop the refined sugars completely, the weight may very well drop for you. i lost 30lbs, went from ~180 > ~150 in ~2 months.

fruits are awesome. have something dark leafy green and something orange every day.
