It's that time of year, a few more months and I'll be going on my annual snowboarding trip. This time I don't want to be sidelined for the first few days because my legs wont hold out. I want 10 days of straight snowboarding. Is there a regiment for this? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO /FIT/?

Biking. I don't mean meandering around on bent handlebar piece of shit. I mean constant 25+ Km/h, uphill, working your ass off and dodging traffic; or if you're like me and live in a place known for biking, make use of the trails, but still bust your ass.

There's a reason so many ski/board bums are bikers in the off season. Well, that and ski hills get converted into bike lifts.

With this setup, my sorest parts after a day of snowboarding are my arms from hauling my ass up when I bite it constantly, because I try to do shit far beyond what I'm capable of. Honestly I'm lucky I haven't been seriously injured yet.

Do you live in LA? I just moved back in with the parents and have found at least 5 EXCELLENT routes around my place here in LBC.

Biking FTW!

Actually I'm on the North Shore. AKA North Vancouver, BC, Canada.

My hometown is up in the rockies: I lived a 15 minute walk from the base of the ski hill. Now I live a 20 minute busride from a hill, am surrounded by trails for mountain and trail, good streets for street racing, and Whistler is under 2 hours away.

I miss my hometown skihill though, it expanded massively when I moved away from the place.
