So I joined a gym, but i'm not aquainted with with machines. Anyone's I should just avoid? Ones that are great? It's kind of intimidating and I don't wanna go around trying everything. I've just been using the row machine and I love it even though it kills me.
any kind of leg press is the best
they didnt have a trainer show you how to use each machine when you signed up?
1. Find people in your gym that look fit2. Casually mention that you're new, ask them which machines are good and which are bad.3. ?????4. Profit!!!
>>42361They did but it was hard to get any information spending 5 seconds on everything.
use machine with cables....cables are best
1)don't use machines2)see 1)
usually only gay guys ask for help. Ive had about 5 dudes hit on me at my gym.
>>42380really?I asked some guy for help before and he gave me a funny look... guess I know why.
Guys should never ask for help unless its a chick they're querying. Unsaid rule, like the 1-space between urinals rule, the no talking in the public restroom rule, and the never drink wine in a cowboy bar rule.
Ask the instructor to show you around briefly, practice a few reps with no weights, nobody's going to judge you, we're all new once. Also, rowing machine is awesome, just be careful of your hamstrings.
