yes, you gain a bit of water weight with creatine, the amount more or less determined by genetics. if you write off creatine saying "just water weight" you're fucking retarded. You're not using creatine to get instantly lol hyooge. You're using creatine, because what it does is converts ADP to ATP, renewing your energy sources, and effectively allowing you to lift longer. Which equals more muscular hypertrophy. If someone says "once you stop using creatine, you're just going to lose all the weight you gained, it's all just water weight," punch them in the face, for a number of reasons: 1) they don't know what they're talking about, you're doing them a favor; 2) They're either speaking out their ass and regurgitating what they heard from their freshman baseball coach or something who's fucking retarded, they're going to tell you protein powder is bad for you, or they actually have had experience with a bit of creatine and went on it for a couple weeks, and then stopped, and realized that they lost the weight they had gained, because THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO PUSH THEMSELVES OR EAT PROPERLY.
So yes, you will gain a bit of water weight. That's a given. That's how you know it's working. Plus, water weight is capital g Good. As the intracellular water content increases, the muscles cells are basically tricked into increasing protein synthesis in addition to trying to up the ATP:ADP ratio high. So that's good, too.
