Swimming is the best. The. Best. It's kindof a lot of trouble (especially if you're in college, like myself) and if you don't know what you're doing, you might be better off doing something else, but for anyone who is even semi-familiar with proper technique, you can do laps 3 times a week and stay in amazing shape. Of course you'll smell like chlorine all the time :/
