Hay, /fit/.

I've got a bust of app. 30in and I wear a 32B bra. I want bigger breasts, but I don't want to have surgery. Is there any sort of natural way to increase my bust size? Do those pills really work? Can I eat anything to bust-up?

I realize that if there were a miracle food or drug, everyone would be running around with double Ds already. I don't expect to go FWOOM and have a shirt full of boobs, but what can I do to increase them even just a small bit? Or have my genes fucked me once again?

Thanks /fit/. In b4 troll accusations and PICS NAO requests.

You could just get insanely fat.

you can probably do some chest exercises to make the muscles under the breasts larger and they'll stand out a little more. nothing wrong with 32b though.
>> Hammerknife !7ITukp3Pj2
Pec flys and trapezius shrugs to improve your chest and shoulder muscles to make them perkier/less saggy.

Otherwise no, if your genes put your fat in your waist/ass and not your breasts, that's pretty much it.
>> Anonymous
I for one love smaller/smallish breasts, but anyway: if you're not on the pill, there's definetely a good chance you'll get fuller breasts if you go on them, since they'll change the hormonal balance in your body.

Wut? That's awesome. Both the fact that some guys appreciate a concave chest, and also that the pill may help. Neat. Thanks.

=) you're welcome. Watch out though, messing with the hormonal levels in your body can/will lead to side effects.
>> Youbee
A few things.

1)>>26203speaks truth. And for many guys, even ones who like bigger girls (the ones with whom you seem to be concerning yourself), perkiness is often a major part of the deal. Don't worry, your breasts won't disappear if you start lifting weights, I promise (believe me, I wouldn't lie about this - it would be a tragedy if it were true). Perkier tits look bigger in a shirt, and look better once you take off your bra.

2) I would HIGHLY recommend against starting the pill for any reason other than its intended purpose (ie birth control). Not only will it mess with your hormone levels, but scientific research suggests higher incidences of some cancers in women who use the pill for lengthy periods of time (and lower incidences for others... but it's linked to higher incidences of breast cancer, which is the big one you should concern yourself with).

3) I say this with total seriousness, have you considered seeing how you'd look with some more effective accessories? Push-up bras, falsies, the like. Unless you're worried some guy is going to fall for you, find out you're wearing a push-up and then dump you... most guys can't tell and wouldn't care anyway.

4) 32B isn't exactly tiny as-is. Besides, are you in your early 20s? Women continue to fill out in many ways for many years. You may not be done growing.

OC= Oral Contraceptive

# How do oral contraceptives affect liver cancer risk?

Several studies have found that OCs increase the risk of liver cancer in populations usually considered low risk, such as white women in the United States and Europe who do not have liver disease. In these studies, women who used OCs for longer periods of time were found to be at increased risk for liver cancer. However, OCs did not increase the risk of liver cancer in Asian and African women, who are considered high risk for this disease. Researchers believe this is because other risk factors, such as hepatitis infection, outweigh the effect of OCs.
How do oral contraceptives affect ovarian and endometrial cancer risk?

Studies have consistently shown that using OCs reduces the risk of ovarian cancer. In a 1992 analysis of 20 studies of OC use and ovarian cancer, researchers from Harvard Medical School found that the risk of ovarian cancer decreased with increasing duration of OC use. Results showed a 10 to 12 percent decrease in risk after 1 year of use, and approximately a 50 percent decrease after 5 years of use.

How do oral contraceptives affect breast cancer risk?

A 1996 analysis of worldwide epidemiologic data conducted by the Collaborative Group on Hormonal Factors in Breast Cancer found that women who were current or recent users of birth control pills had a slightly elevated risk of developing breast cancer...he results, which were published in 2002, indicated that current or former use of OCs did not significantly increase the risk of breast cancer. The findings were similar for white and black women. Factors such as longer periods of use, higher doses of estrogen, initiation of OC use before age 20, and OC use by women with a family history of breast cancer were not associated with an increased risk of the disease.

# How do oral contraceptives affect cervical cancer risk?

Evidence shows that long-term use of OCs (5 or more years) may be associated with an increased risk of cancer of the cervix (the narrow, lower portion of the uterus) (12). Although OC use may increase the risk of cervical cancer, human papillomavirus (HPV) is recognized as the major cause of this disease.

Oral birth control pills shown to lower cancer risk

Posted Sep 12th 2007 5:38PM by Brian White

It's something that many women would cheer about -- the use of oral contraceptives actually lowers overall cancer risk as a side effect.

A 12 percent decrease in cancer risk was the conclusion of a very large study that looked at the correlation between oral contraceptives and cancer, as over 46,000 women were tracked over four decades since oral contraceptives began to be widely used in the late 1960s.

However, an increase in cervical cancer risk was found in women who had taken birth control pills for eight years or longer.

Hello OP,
I'd like to say that, no, there really isn't any way to get bigger breasts that won't be detrimental to your health.

Doing work outs wont make your breasts bigger, but they will some times push the breast tissue out forward making it appear bigger, even though it isn't.

If you want to get bigger breasts without getting fat, the only way I know of is to take birth control.

Birth control tricks your body into thinking that you're pregnant. Your body switches off your reproductive capabilities, and starts storing more fat in your breasts and bum. A lot of women tend to get perkier breasts and bums while on it.

Thats about the only method of breast enhancement I'm willing to recommend.

Pill prevents ovarian cancer for decades
-updated 12:14 p.m. ET, Wed., Sept. 12, 2007

LONDON - Taking the contraceptive pill does not increase a woman’s chance of developing cancer and could even reduce the risk of getting the killer disease, a major British medical study showed on Wednesday.

Researchers at Aberdeen University who studied the records of 46,000 women over a 36-year period found that taking the oral contraceptive for up to eight years did not lead to an increased risk of cancer over a woman’s lifetime.

However, doctors said the risks of cancer were greater in women who took the pill for longer than eight years.

Don't be an idiot.
1) The Mayo Clinic is one of the 3 best hospitals in the country. If you're serious in asking what the Mayo Clinic is, you have NO right to be offering any sort of medical advice whatsoever as you clearly have ZERO knowledge of the field itself - LOL HIGH SCHOOL HEALTH CLASS FTW

2) As I originally said, taking the pill can cause an increase in risk for some cancers, and a decrease in risk for others. You haven't quoted anything saying otherwise. Oral contraceptives change hormone levels, and some cancers grow (or don't grow) due to high levels of the hormones affected by the pill.

3) To be honest, I don't care whether or not you think what I said re: cancer and the pill is true or not. The point still stands that people shouldn't be taking an ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE in order to INCREASE BUST SIZE. They should be taken, as I said in my original post, only for the purpose for which they are intended: that is, as a contraceptive. If you disagree with that you're just being stupid for the sake of being stupid or you work for a company that markets an oral contraceptive (doubtful considering that I'd be surprised if you're older than 18, seeing as you're acting like a medical genius without knowing anything about hospitals - what's next, going to ask me what Johns Hopkins is?).

In regards to: ONLY TAKE IT SO YOU DON'T POP OUT A BABY, the pill is used for many different reasons aside from simple birth control. A friend of mine has ovarian cysts, and an effective way to reduce them is for her to be on the pill. I had a very painful period (seems to run in the family) that would essentially have me curled up in bed in pain for 2-3 days. For me being on the pill is awesome, as I don't spend three days a month completely drugged out on heavy painkillers.

Further PROTIP: if you're referencing the "National Cancer Institute," which is an American institution (as opposed to, say, the Institute of Cancer Research which would be the first stop for those in the UK) you're probably just an uninformed American.

"Protip: National Cancer Institute's facts about cancer are more likely to be correct than the Mayo Clinic's facts about cancer."

Their statements are NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.

"And yes, I did in fact quote facts that show the birth control pill reducing your risk of cancer, in general."

"2) As I originally said, ***taking the pill can cause an increase in risk for some cancers, and a decrease in risk for others.*** You haven't quoted anything saying otherwise." I never said anything about general risk of cancer - though I would additionally caution people not to be overexcited, as no doctor with whom I've ever worked has gone around handing out birth control pills as a preventative medicine for cancer. It's a generally poor idea to much around with hormone levels. Additionally, research on the pill has been very generous on the "no cancer" side to defend against religious extremist groups that have tried to get it outlawed because they claim it promotes promiscuity. Perhaps that's a fair rationale for doing so, but as the old saying goes, there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

"I know two women who take it simply to curb their discomforts during their periods, as recommended by their doctors."

Yes, this is fair, and I'll admit I'm wrong here. In trying to get across my point, I went the route of hyperbole, and did so incorrectly given that the entire original question basically came down to "how do I make by breasts bigger." I apologize for making a false statement. HOWEVER, go to any doctor's office and request the pill for bigger boobs and you'll instead get referred to a psychiatrist, psychologist, and/or plastic surgeon.

Lowers risk of breast cancer.

You got owned, now you're back peddling, STFU.
You've never seen a doctor handing out birth control because it lowers your risk of cancer, eh?

Interesting, because seeing as doctors give out the birth control as a contraceptive (regardless of whether or not you are sexually active) as well as to prevent discomfort during your period (regardless of how bad it really is), it would seem as though it's incredibly easy to be get s prescription.

That's because doctors know that taking the pill is beneficial in many different ways, including a lowered risk of cancer.

Wait, what? Where? Nothing you or I quoted, I don't believe, mentions anything but a raised incidence of breast cancer. From one of your posts:

"How do oral contraceptives affect breast cancer risk?

A 1996 analysis of worldwide epidemiologic data conducted by the Collaborative Group on Hormonal Factors in Breast Cancer found that women who were current or recent users of birth control pills had a slightly elevated risk of developing breast cancer...he results, which were published in 2002, indicated that current or former use of OCs did not significantly increase the risk of breast cancer. Let's move on from the 'Youbee got owned' section, though. You know what? I'm secure enough to say, fine, I was incorrect in some of my statements.

What I was not incorrect in saying, though, is that OP should not look to take the pill in order to increase the size of her breasts. Beyond that, feel free to ignore what I've said - there's plenty of evidence in this thread that suggests I'm wrong. But my inaccuracies in some points don't go against the greater overall message. You need the pill (for WHATEVER medical reason, I will acquiesce) - fine. This, though, fails to fall under need, and as such should be heavily reconsidered.

It doesn't specifically say that it lowers the risk of breast cancer, but that birth control pills do NOT increase the risk of breast cancer, and DO lower the general risk of being diagnoses with cancer.

So if it doesn't increase your risk of breast cancer, but lowers your risk of cancer in general..... ???

Still confused?
>> Youbee
>>26455
You're making a logical error. The risk of breast cancer isn't lowered - if breast cancer risk goes from 1 to 1, and all other cancer risk goes from 1 to 0, your risk of cancer in general has gone down, but your risk of breast cancer hasn't changed.

Pretty much all of the articles you and I have both quoted have said that breast cancer risk is higher (slightly) in patients that use the pill. Not a significant increase, apparently. But certainly not lowered. You've gotten me on most else in here, but on this, you're not correct. It doesn't lower breast cancer risk.

It doesn't increase risk of breast cancer.

It lowers general risk of cancer.

Breast cancer counts as cancer, in general.
Which the birth control lowers.

If there is no link between your risk of breast cancer and your use of birth control specifically, but there is a link between your use of birth control and all types of cancer, then yes, it lowers your chance of developing breast cancer.

>>You're making a logical error. The risk of breast cancer isn't lowered - if breast cancer risk goes from 1 to 1, and all ***other*** cancer risk goes from 1 to 0, your risk of cancer in general has gone down, but your risk of breast cancer hasn't changed.

You've made an error in this sentence. It does not lower the risk of all other types of cancer. It lowers the risk of ALL types of cancer, period.

I have gained respect for you for being so humble, though.
>> BigCock !3uIQO01mdA
Also, GoAskAlice (the queen of all that ails me) puts forth a good point here:

Meta-analysis of over 50 studies provides evidence that OC use does not increase the risk of developing breast cancer. OC use by women with a family history of breast cancer does not increase the risk of developing breast cancer. Current users of OCs are slightly more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer than nonusers, perhaps due to the increased likelihood that OC users have additional medical visits, which would include breast exams. It is possible that an existing tumor may be stimulated by OCs; however, length of OC use does not increase the risk. Many experts have concluded that OCs have little or no effect on breast cancer risk.

>> Youbee
>>26461
"You've made an error in this sentence. It does not lower the risk of all other types of cancer. It lowers the risk of ALL types of cancer, period."

See, I think that's the problem - they're not determining breast cancer risk as a percentage of all other cancers. I tell a person, "Your likelihood of cancer, period, is 1%. Your likelihood of breast cancer, period, is .01%." Now the person starts taking the pill...

If her likelihood of cancer in general decreases, it can do so without decreasing the likelihood of getting breast cancer. I think that's the thing - the pill doesn't lower the chance of getting cancer, period. It lowers the chance of getting specific types of cancer, which means that your overall chance of cancer is lowered.

As for the humility - well, I like to think of it as the imagined positive side of anonymous. I don't know you and you don't know me, so why should I bother continuing to worry if I'm eventually proven wrong? You're shown to be right, and I can now move on to my next inevitable mistake.
