Wheat Thin !wqeQ6aYGs.
/fit/, I seem to have a problem. I'm 5'11", 265lbs, 18 years old. I'm quite heavy. I really, really, really want to lose weight. I've read all the forums, asked questions here - I understand -how- to lose weight. The problem is, I can't stick to any plan for more than a week. I try my damnedest, and still it doesn't work.

What should I do? I really want to get fit and try my hand at parkour and such, stuff I can't do now.

Do you guys have any advice for sticking to a plan?

I look like the 254lbs in the pic.

if you problem is motivation then find something like gaining strength, chasing girls, or trying to be skinny as hell

if your problem is getting the strength before a workout, then try taking caffeine or an energy drink. basically something that will get you the temporary energy to finish up whatever workout you ae doing.

i know it kinda sucks but you have to dig deep enough to summon the strength.

also ive found that eating too little or doing drugs will really get in the way of working out

You just have to want it enough. If you don't, there's nothing anyone can do to help you.

Nothing wrong with Parkour. Jumping around on buildings looks fun as hell.

What I'm asking for is methods to keep yourself motivated, thats all.
See, I want to gain strength, I want to be as skinny as I can with muscle, but I just can't stay away from food lol. Nor can I keep up with my exercises.

Exactly.

If you cant motivate yourself to make yourself stronger and healthier to be happier then give up.

Try a mantra, chant "I can do this" over and over when it gets hard during a work out. Make a new habit rather then eating.

When your craving junk or stuff outside of your eating arraignments grab a stick of gum and try your best to just shrug it off.

I dunno...

You know what you have to do. If you would rather be a fat slob than exert the physical effort needed to get into shape than so be it. I'm sure you are aware of the benefits and draw backs on both sides.

Pushups, squats and run fatty run.... Find a good music track that can drive you and run evenly till your fucked... then start running back :P
Also i hear yoga is good for fatties.

Everyone here is giving you good advice, and here's my two cents.

Take a picture. TRY to keep it up for a week. If that's your barrier, it's your job to break it. Nothing else matters. Everyday, put a picture of yourself (if not several) on the walls of the area you choose to do your workout. Sure, having people over and them seeing it may be embarrassing, but that's part of the motivation too.
Keep your eyes on those photos. Keep looking backwards. Look at your changes, and you'll def. have the drive to push forward.
Most importantly, though, count your calories.

Running and at-home cardio is fine too

At home cardio, in my life? it's more likely than you think.

Right now I eat about 3500 a day from rough estimates. This is actually probably less than I actually consume. I am fucking fat.

For a week I ate about 2000 a day, but I couldn't keep it up after that.

I like the idea about making pictures though... I will use that.

Are there any commonly used habits that are used in place of hunger that really help? I know about drinking water, but that really doesn't seem to help much.

Chew a flavoured tooth pick.
Chew gum.
Chew anything.

Drinking fluids and chewing on things are the best two.
Hypnosis is a extreme option if you cant build these habits on your own...

Alright, starting in the morning I'm gonna go out and run, then head straight over to WalMart and pick me up some toothpicks.

Replacing hunger? Eat in different increments!

Eat 5-6 times a day, in smaller portions. You'll always be full and your body will be in a constant state of metabolism.
Smaller portions, WAT?

Here's how I go through my day, in consumption:
Meals:
1.] *Breakfast* I eat a few trail mix bars and a glass of soy milk OR I make myself an egg sandwich with 1 of the 2 yolks removed, OR some oatmeal + orange juice.
2.] *Brunch* I eat pretty much any vegetables I have lying around. Never really eat it raw, though. I like to cook all my veggies with some spices...again, whatever I have lying around.
3.] *Lunch* I make myself a sandwich. By god I love sandwiches. I never eat anything else for lunch but sandwiches. :3 AVOID HAM! EAT TURKEY OR TUNA
4.] *Mid-day* Whatever fruit or vegetable, or even another sandwich.
5.] *Dinner* Subway, fuck yeah. Anything you want, from there. Get a toasted chicken sandwich or something. Instead of normal chips in your combo, go with some wheat thins if they have it, or sun chips. Pretty much any low-cal dinner is good for ye.
6.] *After dinner snack* (Hours later) a few bars of whatever snack I have...cereal, trail mix, whatever.

To OP:

It takes roughly three weeks to make something a habit. Keep it up for that long. Also, you can basically eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want (except high fat ones like avacado) as long as you don't increase their caloric value in preparing them. In other words don't fry them or put salad dressing on them.

All that ruffage will fill you up and has low, low calories (especially raw). Added benefits: lots of vitamins, vitamins, and good carbs.
