Hey /fit/, mental health problem here.

For the last couple of days I've been wanting to hurt myself and others as well. No particular reason, I'm not depressed or angry or anything really, I just want to do it.

It's pissing me off. How do I get myself to stop thinking about it? I already did squatz, and actually had a really good workout because i felt so aggressive. However, it's kind of worrying me because I think at some point I may actually follow through.

i think about hurting others all the time. but i'm also an 19 Delta Airborne Calvary Scout and look to hurt others. but when im on furlough i wish a could turn it off. i always look for alternate routes, and different ways to do the simplest things if something goes the least bit awry....

Solution: Once a year I go out on long drives. I wait at rest stops until early morning (2 or 3AM) and I wait until someone goes into the bathroom. I beat the shit out them.

Do this once a year and the urge will be gone to hurt people will be gone. I've done this for about 7 years now.

If you think about suicidal thoughts like this, like a computer error made by your brain when it's trapped in a paradox, then it's much less frightening. You realize these thoughts are not compulsory. You don't have to listen to them or give them any weight. They can be ignored. You can say to yourself "there it goes again, suicidal ideation" then you can more easily ignore it and surf more 4chan.

Of course you may still want to seek help, but this is a trick that you can easily do to cope with suicidal thoughts. The first time you consider the possibility of killing yourself can be horrifically frightening. But once you realize it's just a false conclusion reached by your mind, it isn't so scary. You can even get a black sense of humor out of it by laughing it off.
