ITT, pull up bars.
Living in an apartment, which means light weight construction and an inability to drill holes in door frames. I MUST HAVE A PULL UP BAR. Pic related if you know what I mean. Find me one that fits my needs and I give my internetz.

I think he means that he needs to do it for a PFT. Marines? Just joining or what?

? Door frames have to meet certain construction requirements, you can drill, it will hold you. Target sells one for $15. Screw the brackets in place, twist the bar in place, good to go. Doesnt block the door, holds my weight (232lbs) and works great.

If your landlord said no holes, right before they do inspection fill the holes with toothpaste (white). Or buy a spackle tube for $5.

Quit being a faggot.

1. find a low hanging tree branch
2. do pull ups on tree branch
3. ?????
Profit!!!

Thats pretty much your option if you can't mount a pull up bar on your door frame

Just wanabee at the moment. However, I have lost 24 pounds, got my sit ups to 100, and can do the three mile in 27min. The real problem is that I have been fat for most of my life, and thus I had TRex arms. I've been doing push ups and some basic weight training, but I tried a pull up and got about halfway up and failed. Thus, I need a bar at home to work with.

I've been working at it for three months, started thinking about joining 6 months ago.
No, I'm not a Poolee yet, in fact I haven't even talked to the recruiter yet.
I've lost 24 pounds and I have about 20 to go (5'10, weigh 205 right now.)

Go talk to a recruiter. They WILL work with you to get you into shape. You have up to a year to DEP out to boot. Recruiters wont send an unfit recruit to boot because it fucks with their record each time someone drops/gets kicked. Don't excpect a Kill DI, but at the same time use them for all thy're worth in that respect.

Don't forget to ask about your college stuff *when you sign up*. I've got a buddy who did a tour in Afghanistan and is shit out of luck because they won't give it to him.

get any pullup bar, a pullup bar that will rotate when you are grabbing it will add ALOT of extra difficulty... depends what you're looking for here. I went from around 15 pullups to 60+ just by doing pullups any time I was around the bar in my doorway or at the gym. Abs/pullups/200pushups every day in addition to your resistance training/cardio ftw.
