/fit/ I ended up sleeping in some freaky ass pose and woke up with a pinched nerve in my elbow a few nights ago.
Anyways I've been trying to find ways to fix it on my own, but thought I'd come to /fit/ first before I do something stupid and make it worse.
So far I've rigged up a splint to keep my arm as straight as possible and I've been icing it. Other than that I haven't tried much. Surgery of course is a last resort for me

where is the nerve? if its the more on the inside by your funny bone (look up cubital tunnel syndrome) then your arm shouldnt be completely straight. there should still be a slight bend when you sleep. just a couple degrees though. other things might be inflaming the area, various exercises so lay off anything that hurts it or makes it sore afterwards. try taking some ibuprofen for a couple days and not using your arm much. i had to take 400 mg twice a day when i had a nerve issue. you can probably get by with 200 mg twice a day. if it doesnt help bump it up to 400mg.

Sometimes I sleep weird so my shoulder and entire arm will stay numb all day. What I found that makes the numbness feeling to go away is gentle massage. You can probably do it yourself, but sometimes you'll need someone else to get spots that you can't reach. Also,
