So /fit/ this is my first time here so I'll probably ask some dumb questions.
Basically I used to be fairly toned, low fat and good cardio a couple of years back, but let my lifestyle run away from me. I peaked at about 10-15kgs overweight with little muscle tone a month or so back. So since then I've tried to get back in shape, free weights and cutting out unhealthy foods. From a muscle perspective it's done wonders, with noticeable improvements in tone and mass. The problem is the fat doesn't seem to want to go away, it just covers up the new muscle making me look even bigger. Does anyone have an explanation for this faggotry or some advice on losing it?

tl;dr: fat over new muscle despite diet/exercise... why?

Cardio.

Free weights are good for building muscle if your eating right, which apparently you are. If you are getting back into a workout start with 20-30 minutes of cardio, but no more than 60 minutes. Get your heart rate up and lose your breath, if not, I dunno. My best advice
