You've actually read wikipedia on it, and you think the products HELPED by letting the stretch marks form scar tissue? That's what the white stretch marks are. Scar tissue. It's there for life. The products did jack all, because even if you left it alone, it would turn to white scar tissue ANYWAY.
Stretch marks are literally parts of your skin being torn apart, and blood rusing into the area, which causes the initial purple/red colour.
Tanning causes the outermost layers to turn darker and hide the stretch marks a little over the years, but you've got to live with it.

Most stretch mark products, including Palmer's Cocoa Butter, is supposed to be used to PREVENT stretch marks happening by injecting fat into the skin and making it supple. it does nothing to existing stretch marks, purple or white.
