That's not the point, the other guy used the word "all". The Serra/St. Pierre and Franklin/Lutter fights aren't really good examples. We have brown belts at our school who would run through black belts at most schools, and do at tournaments. Where they got their belt and training from is a huge factor. You also have to consider how much gi versus no gi experience they have, their natural talent and ability, strength, endurance, etc. St. Pierre is just a better fighter than Serra. St. Pierre had a shot at wrestling in the damn olympics.
If your point is that well rounded fighters generally do better than straight BJJ guys, then I would agree completely. The thing is that in Kimbo's case, said BJJ expert would be fighting a white belt who has VERY limited experience in submission grappling and VERY limited experience defending takedowns.
