OP here. As a beginner, not knowing shit, this helped me form a healthy lifting diet and workout schedule on my own, without asking the pros at /fit/ for halp. I recommend people with basic beginner questions about routines check this out. He basically holds your hand through preperation.

Sarcasm over the internet doesn't work.

This is what pisses me off about 4chan sometimes.

its a source of energy. it needs to be burned. what do you think hapens to energy if it is not being used? It will get stored. I'm not sure if carbs before bed willmake you a fat ass but you definatley don't want to eat big meals...it's not being burned up, just stored.

this article is fucking terrible. it basically gives you an isolation workout for pro bodybuilders who are juicing and have 10 years lifting under their belt.

where are the barbell squats.

newbs have to learn the basics and get strong at the basics and get a decent amount of muscle on them before they can specialize in anything. this article skips all of that

I'd recommend go to the forums of bodybuilding.com and look for Starting Strength, read it many times until you understand it completely, when you can't add more weight to the bar, change your routine to HST, before starting HST, take 2 weeks off training. Do 2 - 3 HST cycles then do 5x5 Madcow routine.

Go to bodybuilding.com forums, read Starting Strength, then do 2-3 cycles of HST, then do 5x5 madcow routine, by then you should have a basic knowledge on how your body works and adapts to the routines.

Oh god why why why is the leg extension on there? I did those for a couple of weeks and the seriously fucked with my knees, fortunately it was nothing serious and went away again when they got replaced with squats
