OK I have had what I am pretty sure is friction burn on my penis since like, the middle of July :/ It just doesn't want to clear up. It's like, on the base of the head, and in one or two places on the actual shaft itself.

There is no pain related to it unless I like, actually irritate it in which case there isn't anything very serious. No puss or open sores or anything to do with STDs. I have only been sexually active with two people an neither of them have any problems.

Now, a little after when it first showed up I ended up getting a pretty bad infection and was on antibiotics for a while, it probably has no correlation but it seemed like it might be worth mentioning.

Anyway, I have been applying hydro-cortisone cream at night and generally trying not to masturbate too often, or do so in such a way that the affected areas are not irritated further. Should I just wait it out, or entirely refrain from any sort of sexual activity until it clears up? I really really don't want to go see a doctor about this, I'm hoping it'll sort itself out ; ;

wrap it in gauze/don't jerk off.

If it doesn't heal up without further friction, see your doctor.

Or a nurse if you aren't a faggot

Has anyone else had to deal with it lasting that long?

you might have an STD. you never know.

I've had it for like a year maybe? For me I'm fairly certain it's psoraisis (since I have that elsewhere), but I probably should make sure it's not an std...

It started going away as I started using lube when I fapped, though, and any week I could go without fapping basically cleared it up. I guess I'm too damn addicted to fapping, have little self control, and have had no prospects of getting sex so that was my problems all rolled into one.
