I WANNA LOOK GOOD AT THE BEACH DAMMIT Generic Viagra
Greetings /fit/
I have a a problem that's REALLY frustrating me.
I've developed scars/stretch marks in my biceps and underarms area in both of my arms, and a scar (a short, straight horizontal line) on the top of my chest. The marks grow and get redder every time I try to work out. I'm neither overweight nor muscular (in b4 steroids). It's very discouraging. I know I could build muscle mass if I wanted and look better without my shirt on, but what's the point if I'll end up looking like a scarred/stretch-marked freak?
I went to my doctor, all he said is that it happens sometimes, and said that future surgery might help.
Can /fit/ offer any stories, ideas, or advice?
Pic somewhat related, not me, but same thing except the marks or on my biceps and the back my arms...

I have stretch marks from when I was a fatass. I know how you feel man. My body shape is starting to become more fit, but I still hate going to the pool or the beach because of stretch marks.
My doc said that they are pretty much permanent. If yours is only half as bad as mine, surgery would entail removing a good part of the skin, and the end result would still look weird.
Just get used to the idea having scars. Stay off they weights for a while until the redness goes away, and ease, and I say EASE, back into your regimen.
You'll still look ripped in a shirt. :D

I have about four 7" purple stretch marks on my back. I first remember having them 8 years ago. They haven't changed.

You're afraid of LOOKING fit?
Listen, looks won't even matter compared to your actions.
Get ripped, learn how to fight, start shit up, turn into an asshole, beat people up.
The chicks won't care how you look.
For added bonus, get really lean, strip off all body fat. Picture a lean, ripped body with scars everywhere. If that doesn't look badass, I don't know what does.

OP here. I kinda know how you feel. I have some birthmark/scar that has been steadily growing on my back since I was a boy. It just looks like patches of darker skin. It covers almost a third of my back. I'm thinking about just getting a huge awesome tattoo to cover it, but that's an oxymoron. I don't know what I would get.

Ouch.
Try incorporating Vitamin E into your diet. Supplements are fine. Get skin care products. Make sure you aren't subsisting off of protein alone.

I've got 29 of those marks on my stomach, some bigger than others. They are supposed to get more and more skin toned as the years go by from what I've heard, but they'll never completely dissapear. Say you were stabbad in your arm and get sympathy from the chicks or something.

LASER SURGERY!

The prices have come down a lot.
Laser dermabrasion.

or cheaper:
Micro-dermabrasion
although you'll look like ground beef for about 2 weeks.

Hey, those arn't in a very obvious area. That part of your body is still technically part of your pectorals, so you can be like "yeah bitch, those are stretch marks from getting so fucking SWOLE". Bodybuilders get them from growing so fast that the skin hasn't adapted yet but those generally arn't permanent. A false sense of confidence covers a multitude of flaws so just act like a douche at the beach.

SHEA BUTTER.
But only if it's 100% nothing else added and organic.

well, if they persist.... lie, say you got into a nasty knife fight with some dude when on vacation in Rio De Janeiro and barely escaped with your life, the red marks are the scars leftover from shitty brazilian medical care.

or lotion. Hydrating the skin will reduce the redness at least. Depending on how they formed depends on if they'll go away or not. If they're the result of increasing the size of the fat/muscle underneatht he skin, using shea or cocoa butter will help them go away. However, if they are from loosing large amounts of fat or muscle they may never go away without cosmetic surgery.

stop fucking caring? What the hell is it with people and giving a damn about stretch marks? They're signs of change. Get used to it, be proud of the fact that you're getting ripped faster than your skin can compensate.

Oh, and to prevent further marking, I've heard more water and eating better/vitamins work.
