I started HIIT last week, every other day, starting with 4 minutes of 30/30 intervals. I'm between 80 and 95% of my max heart rate on high intensity intervals.* After I do my HIIT, I feel like shit (in a good way), and I usually have to rush for a chair to collapse. The feeling wears off in around an hour max though, then I feel perfectly normal.

Is this normal? Or am I not pushing myself hard enough? I was reading in another thread.
>In my experience with HIIT, I COULDN'T do lifting on the same day.
I read similar things often. This causes me to think that I need to push myself harder. I feel like if I wanted, I could go lift a few hours after my HIIT. (but I don't, I do HIIT one day and lift the next)

Pic could possibly be related.
*Note: Where I live, it's often hard to get outside to do HIIT(long story), so I just do it on an elliptical, putting at a very high resistance during the high intensity intervals

As long as you know you're giving it your all, you're fine. It just means you're more fit than some people here.
