How bad is it for your health (whether it be mental or physical) to suppress anger?

if you're "suppressing" anger (being angry but holding back) or "releasing" anger (being angry and punching a pillow) then you're a fucking it and you're doing it wrong. studies show that it just makes you angrier and gets you mentally and physically ready to fight

ur supposed to keep ur mind off it, distract yourself, listen to soothing music, count down/up, breathe in and out to stop being angry u faggot

Depends on how you suppress it. Hold it down with loathing and biting you lip will casuse it to surface later. Dissapating it by rationalizing the original cause of your anger should end fine.

I don't know about you but when I suppress anger my body produces so much adrenaline that sometimes I end up vomiting but I guess that's better than punching someone in the face and regretting it later
