is there any respectable routine out there that can help me get bigger and stronger without including the military press or deadlift? I've been doing rippetoes starting strength for awhile, and for reasons i care not to explain, each of those lifts are a no-go for me.

yes, but military is more or less an essential for HUEG SHOLDRS LIEK ECKSBOCKS, and RDL is more or less essential to proper back development. You can do deads for a couple months, and never do them again, and you'll STILL have good dev.

I have incredible pain every time i try to military press and I don't know why. I'm not going to see a doctor either. It's just that my shoulders hurt extremely bad when i try to do it.

and deadlifting.... my form is horrible and i've tried to correct it for months and it still sucks. I don't want to injure myself.

Lift lighter weight?

Deadlifts are easy as fuck, no arching your back is basically all there is to the form. If you're arching your back you're lifting too much, drop the weight until you can do them, and work your way up.

deadlifting really should'nt be hard to master unless you are putting an insane amount of weight. record yourself or get a pro at the gym to check your form out. try lowering the weight as well and practice with good form before trying to lift heavier reps.
