Are sodas really that bad for me? Anonymous
I'm a 21yo male, 6'1", 155LB. I'm in great shape, I long distance run and do various upper body workouts regularly. I also eat healthy foods and drink tea.

The thing is, I also drink lots of soda. It's just too easy and very inexpensive for me to walk over to the gas station's mini-mart and refill my 64oz cup for 85cents. I don't really consume much other sweets, just soda.

Given that I live and eat healthy, should I be alarmed with the amounts of soda I drink?

For soda and >upper body workouts

also 6,1 @ 155lbs makes you a tiny faggot.

I know, I know. As of now, I can only benchpress 140LB.

I'm more of a runner. I've been running for almost two years now. Whereas I only started taking my upper-body workouts seriously only a short while ago.

Work your lower body as well, you damn nigger. If you think that running is sufficient for this, you're already two strikes closer to fucking failure. I'm not explaining this any further. Murk loar to find out why this is the case, given that this comes up every single goddamn day.

I understand that. Thank you for the concern on that, but you're leading this off topic.

Given that 64 oz of soda works out to about 775 calories, then yes, you should be alarmed.

It can't be healthy, and will probably catch up with you eventually. 64 oz of soda has a ridiculous amount of calories, so, I'm guessing when you're young with a high metabolism and a runner, it's easy to burn off, but, as you get older, you'll be a fat skinny guy.

Enjoy it while you can.

Soda is bad, and you can't debate that. You could drink it every once in a while, but drinking 64 oz is too much. That's 8 cups...think about how much sugar you're stuffing into your body, not to mention that you're probably making your stomach extremely acidic.

Have like...a can of soda once a day. Even that's a lot, but maybe you'll eventually get used to not drinking it. It's my only weakness as well, but once I got to drinking water the cravings weren't as strong (though to be honest, they've never gone away.)
