Favorite leg exercises? I've got pretty skinny legs and would like to put on at least another 20 pounds on my legs.

Also, what is the aim of your exercise program and how much protein (on average) do you think you get each day?

obviously squats. nobody should go without squats, even if they only want to build upper body due to the amount of testosterone they make your body release.

do calf raises for calfs. just like squats but instead of doing a squat, stay standing up straight and lift your heels on the ground so that you are standing on your toes.

leg curls for hamstrings.

go forat least a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight as a rule of thumb.

well i shouldn't have spoken with so much authority. i was told this by the guy at the vitamin shoppe where i was buying whey protein recently, i am new to working out as well.

he said go for a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, so i need to get about 160 grams a day. it actually is a lot. but if you are thin and really want to bulk up you can't go wrong with the protein, right?

good luck at any rate. just make sure to eat well, get a lot of protein, and sleep well.

yes, quads and glutes= big muscles and compound exercises are all known for causing your body to produce a lot more testosterone. squats more than any other.

Squats by a longshot, followed by the leg press when i'm not lazy to load and unload all the weights on the damn machine.

Seated or standing calf raise should also be done regularly.

but it's not just having more muscle. when you do the actual exercise, even for the first time, large amounts of testosterone are instantly produced by your body. try doing 4 sets of squats and see how this picture makes you feel afterwards

Here are two workouts that have always done well for me during season and off.

During season:
Body weight squats. 500 minimum. I throw a hockey stick on my back and just start going. Take short breaks if necessary. At a 1000 and do this 4+ days a week depending on game schedule. 400 normal, 350 sumo, 250 only on my toes.

Off season:
Throw on 30-40% of your max. Start by squating for as long as you can. Do not stop. Repeat twice. You want to get up to 3 minutes straight. This won't hit all your legs so you need to throw in other exercises like calf raises and extensions etc
