I find this kind of strange...

During the week I'm pretty active from walking everywhere and I'm on my feet all the time at work. On the weekends I don't do much yet the scale says I weigh at least 4 pounds less than during the week. Why is that?

Water weight, clothes on or off, different time of day, ect. Weigh your self in the morning as soon as you get up and as soon as you're ready to go to sleep. It's normal for it to vary. Pick a time of day and do it then or don't worry about it. There's no need to weigh yourself everyday.
