Does biting your nails count? I can never stop for more than a few days, even though I try to only do it on the pinky.

No, that's just a bad habit.

I bit my nails for like 12 years. When I got braces, I found new ways to bite my nails because I couldn't do it the same with braces in the way. Last summer I finally had the presence of mind to quit. I've had it under control since.

I don't suffer from it personally but my flatmate does. He bites his nails, unplugs every electrical device before leaving home and is generally obsessed with anything that could start a fire... anything emitting heat and so on is constantly checked (stove, radiators, lightbulbs and so on).

The funny thing is I've made him sleep in the same room where I have my closet set up as a grow-room with a 400W bulb.

He's on some kind of meds but honestly I don't recall the name of them and thay seem to help a little, at least he's ok (?) with living here...

Does keeping things organized count? For me things need to be organized, and if they aren't and I notice it, I stop what I'm doing to organize something. I only do it at work too.

does applying hand sanitizer on your after someone shakes your hand or brush against you count? On some days I can't not time my steps so I walk equally on the sidewalk without stepping on cracks.

I have to close the door to the room I'm in.
I HATE sharp things ANYWHERE near my eyes and I cannot STAND people touching my sternum. Thinking about it makes me feel all funny.

Also, when walking [even in shoes], I have to equalize out my body. So, if I step on a funny texture with one foot, I go back and step on it with my other.

I've had a couple mostly as a child though I still do some as an adult.

My two biggest ones as a child where when I mashed multicolored markers on a paper to make dots I needed all the colors to be spread out evenly. Another one was that I could never step on one of the tiles in our kitchen because it was a different color than the rest. If I did end up stepping on it I felt my heart race.

I'm not aware of any now if I do have some left. Well I know if I make a typo that no matter how far back it is I have to delete everything up until that spot. I can't just move my mouse over to it and fix it.
