Hey /fit/.

Can anyone recommend me a protein bar that doesn't taste bad that I can eat after workouts? I'm acquiring the P90X program soon and I'll give it a shot, which means I'll have to improve my eating surrounding working out.

I live in the UK so if possible I'd like something local, I'm not one for ordering food overseas.

Pic unrelated.

I typically have the 'premier nutrition' protein bars for snacks. 30 g protein and like 3 g of sugar or something. They're excellent. Typically get them at costco, but i don't know if britfags can get them (they might be too awesome).

Can britfags buy Clif bars? They look like a pile of crap, but they taste delicious.

A quick search tells me I could order them in the UK - not sure if I can get them from a supermarket - but they're a bit pricy.. £13.50 for a box of 12, I don't know if I could keep that up for a long time. I may invest in some protein powder or something if my options are so limited, maybe someone on here could recommend me a recipe for a shake I can make for a comparatively low price.

Thanks /fit/

Even the best protein bar in the world, no nutritionist or dietitian will recommend you survive the majority off them. You gotta vary your protein sources, there's so many damned various micronutrients it's just insane to trust one source.

However, as an occasional supplement, that's cool.
