Hey /fit/,I have about 17% body fat on a 141 lbs 5'9" figure. At least that's a rough guess based on measurements anyway. My stomach is my concern area, it is... I suppose puggy and a bit flabby although not fat. So if I do crunches and other abdominal exercises will my stomach tighten up without cardio? Or is cardio simply a must?
Doing ab exercises is going to do absolutely nothing to the fat around your stomach. You need to burn it thorough cardio.
Gain some fucking muscle, you're fucking 141lbs at 5'9", fat is the last thing you should be worrying about.
Cardio is a must. Doing ab exercises and the like will strengthen and define your abdominals, but you won't be able to see them if there's a layer of fat covering them.
OP here, all I want is to lose the visible line where stomach ends and waist begins. Everyone points me toward cardio though. Sigh, thanks guys.
