Nuts are reasonably good for you a good source of protein certanlly better than a bag of crisps.

normally during the day, I eat a bowl of oatmeal and three pieces of fruit, then dinner when I get home from work

This was cutting it for a while (I was always a little hungry), but I could manage

as my workout increased though, I've started to get unbearably hungry during the day, so I'm experimenting

Today I tried celery + tabasco sauce... interesting, but I'm looking for alternatives

If nuts work, it'll be awesome

OP here

Worked rather well, but I have no idea if I ate too much or too little; the night prior, I poured as many as would fit in to a small plastic bag (about 2/5ths of the jar)

From now on, I think I'll measure it out based on nutritional info

Delicious, though, and I'm not particularly hungry!
