OP, str is from high weight, low reps. the speed of the exercise is determined from what exercise you're doing, and the muscle group utilized; for example, skullcrushers should be done as fast as possible, triceps are a fast twitch muscle. I alwasy just try to do the exercise as fast as i possibly can anyways, since i do a lot of weight and anything less than my best would be preparing for failure, but to each his own, even if you're going to be a pussy faggot dealing with a little teeny bit of weight so much so that you can vary the speed of the lift
