/fit/ - is there anything one should eat/drink after exercise besides water? Will eating protein do anything good at this point?

Perhaps I should explain further...I just rode my bike around for about an hour and a half. My legs fucking hurt because there are a lot of hills here, and it's almost 1 AM, so I'll go to sleep soon. Still recommend the whey protein or anything else?

Whey mixed with water immediately after working out, and casein(slow digesting) protein before you sleep to provide nutrients while you sleep. Cottage cheese is a popular way to get casein protein.
