The primitive belief that you all seem to have is that it's impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. In fact it's incredibly easy.

Here's the pseudo logic you seem to use:

Mass gain = calories over your maintenance
Mass loss = calories under your maintenance

Therefore:

Muscle AND fat gain = calories over your maintenance
Muscle AND fat loss = calories under your maintenance

PROTIP: Nobody says it's impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. It's common fucking knowledge that it's very possible. People say that it's impossible (or very difficult) to gain or maintain muscle and lose WEIGHT, because that's true, except for fatties/people who are just starting to work out.

I did it. Lots of people are doing it, it just requires exercise, REAL EXERCISE, NOT 3 SETS OF SQUATS A WEEK.

Not many people on /fit/ are doing it, they're just eating a lot and lifting a few weights and saying "I'M NOT DEFINED BECAUSE ALL OF MY MUSCLE IS HIDDEN BY FAT, I WILL CUT LATER". They feel better because they think one day they'll be an adonis because of this.

This thread is relevant to my interests. Bulking with weight training is a bit of a turn off to me. I just don't want to get lazy. A friend of mine lost a lot of weight and he began lifting. Now he's 200 some pounds and says he hasn't ran in 7 months and his body looks pretty terrible. I don't want that to happen to me when I hit the weights. in b4 rage in general

i almost dont want to get involved....it is possible that perhaps someone can put on some muscle ,and then staying at the same cals fat will be burned as a result of the new muscles caloric needs,therefore making it appear to be muscle gain/fat loss at the same time with no change in diet.in reallity though,the best way to obtain results is too bulk cleanly,and then cut.true story.theres a reason that top guys train that way,because its tried tested and true.if you want to present some proof of your claims,it might come off as believable,but currently your just running your mouth.better yet post a picture
