I've been using a standard door frame pull up bar for about a year now, and I feel like it's time to upgrade. I was going to buy a new one with more positions, but I saw a commercial for the perfect pullup on tv and thought maybe I should try this instead. I got the perfect pullup for christmas and it's great, so I was wondering how this is.
has anyone on /fit/ tried this thing out?

Take your pick. All are far more useful and cheaper than the perfect pull-up.

OP (not you?) said he had a door pull-up bar, which would work. Also, any sort of rafter or support beam (attic, garage, basement), tree branch, playground swing set, or power rack would work.

Try doing some ring push-ups (hell, just try a support hold) and you'll gain some real respect for the Olympic gymnasts doing crazy shit like iron crosses.
