Actually, weird as it may sound, I think one factor to my weight loss was that I went to the bathroom immediately when I felt like it.
Before sometimes I would hold it in because it wasn't a good time or I was busy or something.
I've been "listening" to my body or whatever, and have become able to feel when: I'm eating too much Eating so much is going to cause me to poop sooner or that certain types of foods will make it more necessary That while I don't need to go yet, I will soon (see it coming before getting the feeling)
I'm sure I sound kind of crazy, but it all is really helpful for managing what you input/output. I use it to not eat too much or too little, and to help accommodate when I have (if I know I'm not going to eat for a while, it can be better to give it more time before going).
It might be hard to do, but I'm into knowing my body and stuff, I guess.
One other thing I've noticed that could be a big deal is it can be rather hard to differentiate being hungry from a feeling that comes before any warning signs of having to go. If I've eaten somewhat recently, I generally assume that's what it is and wait a bit (especially if I'm pretty sure I ate enough last time) and see what happens. It will usually transition to having to go. I don't understand why myself, but it is easy to misinterpret and eat more when in reality you will soon need to let it out and could definitely contribute to being more overweight.
