Type 1 diabetes and your glucose is over 250 mg/dL, check for ketones and correct your high blood glucose before beginning the exercise. If you dont do this, your blood glucose may go even higher. When your done take a small break and check again.
I don't see why a different routine would be needed if you just keep up on your glucose checks but if your really worried about it just start slow and work your way up to where your comfortable.
