Hey /fit/,

I started working out a few weeks ago. I've been using my roommate's Total Gym. Mainly, I want to build upper body muscle mass. So I don't want to use his Total Gym anymore and want another cheap alternative. I'm thinking about buying a set of resistance bands. What does /fit/ think about using these for building upper body strength? Are they effective for adding muscle mass? Of course, I'll also be doing push-ups and crunches.

Oh hells yeah! You know, I think I heard that Schwarzenegger used rubber bands and did push ups and crunches. They are the most effective exercises known to man, and you should be beastly huge and incredibly strong within weeks.

Get some dumbbells and some protein shakes.
