HIIT HIIT HIIT Anonymous
hey guys i've done three HIIT sessions so far. the first time i could barely get through two repetitions -- the second time i did better, and after the third time i was able to not pant like a moron the entire time. should i start increasing my repetitions? should i go like, two more sets (that is, 20/10 two more times) each time i do HIIT? i don't want to go too fast but i don't want to go too slow, either.

also, for people who do it five times a week, how do you space it? i've been doing it every other day so far but i'd like to put it up to five if possible. is it just basically whenever i please/don't feel like tired shit the next day?

increase intensity--that's the whole point of HIIT. wont work if you're slacking. more reps just makes it more like general cardio, which is exactly not the point of HIIT.

its really not an all out sprint. there no way you can sustain 100% maximal effort for a minute straight 4 times.

just alternate between a fast run and a slow jog

oh, i forgot to mention, i only started out at like five minutes, and i thought you were supposed to get to twenty?

how about i sustain 100% maximum sprint for 30 seconds and jog for 30

more like jog for 1.5 minutes then sprint for 30 seconds

HIIT questions are so stupid here. It seems to mean different things to different people. Some think HIIT should be the tabata protocol of 20 seconds all-out, 10 seconds rest for 4 minutes. Some think it should be something like 30 seconds fast and 2 minutes slow or whatever for 20 minutes.
