I do 5 sets of 40 explosive reps of wide-hands pushups and 10 sets of 40 reps of hands-at-waist-level pushups.
Instead of doing all 100 in 1 set, breaking it into a few sets is better. Muscle grows during rests, not during the exercise itself.
