Hey /fit/, I've got a question for ya.
I'm 23, around 6 feet tall, and I weigh just under 130 pounds. I'm not out of shape per say, I mean, I have decent endurance, it's just I want to put on some more weight. I'm fairly lean as it is, so just body weight in general would be nice, but muscle weight as well.
I eat a normal college kid's diet. Lots of hamburgers and hot dogs. I've recently become conscious of wanting to get more into shape, so I've tried to diversify my diet (eating a larger range of foods) and I've moved away from soft drinks for water and milk.
I go to the gym a few time a week. I don't have a lot of free time to get over there, due to a busy schedule of classes.
What I'm more or less asking: (tl;dr) Is else can I do in order to put on more weight? Other than a slight diet change and going to the gym when I can. Are there thing I can do in my spare time in my room that would help in my endeavorers?
(My doctor attributes my low body weight to a high metabolism. It's something that run in my family; my father weighed around 135 pounds until around his 30s when he started gaining weight rapidly and he now hovers between 190-220. So if it's a family thing, I'm not sure if much can be done. In addition, a few years ago I attempted this, I did a full-body workout routine with cardio and managed to get up to around 135, though I didn't see much change in my body overall. I felt stonger, but I still looked like a twig.)
Sorry for not having a picture to put up. But I assure you, I'm really skinny.
Thanks for any help in advance.
