Abs Anonymous
Hello /fit/. Can we do a thread on abs? Essentially, what works (cardio? exercises?) and what doesn't (gimmicks? food?). I don't have abs, but dumber people than me do, so I should be able to.. Not fat, just flabby stomach.

i found regular sets of pushups and situps worked well for me, i began on about 30 a day, i do about 120 a day now and im getting a show on my stomach now. 2months

not too sure, i will check later tonight, honestly, my girlfriend loves my abs now, loosing weight by eating right will do a crapload of good as well, i eat lots of salad. night before a big day at the gym i eat pasta.

BIG TIP!!

dont snack during the day!! eat a big breakfast, snack lunch and small dinner.

common routine:

breakfast - wheatbix (no sugar) with bannana pieces and apple.
2 pieces of toast no butter (marmalade or promite)

lunch - salad or sushi

dinner. small amount of rice or pasta, steak and peas and lettice (veggies are key!!)

bullshit. eating six small meals per day and keeping them 3 hours apart is a better way to boost your metabolism. also, veggies aren't the "key", although they are a good source of carbs. you need a lot of protein or your body will feed on your muscle. stay away from fructose as well.

OP here, one detail, I'm a hard gainer. At best I'm skinny fat (6', 185ish). Something I learned painfully (mostly $$$ wise) is that eating lots and lots of protein and very few carbs is dumb. Especially in my case. Where would I get the energy? From the protein, of course, I'd burn that shit down and not gain a pound. Now at least I can balance it better.
