Hey /ft/ how long should I wait before doing stretches after working out?
for weight lifting: nonefor running or hiit: five minutes
huh?
>>200327there's no point in doing stretches after lifting weights/ mucle building, only after running etc
>>200629Doesn't know what he's talking about.
I never stretch after I lift weights. Should I start doing so and why?(Not that it matters, but I am 21 male lifting weights to gain mass because I'm a skinny fag and I usually stretch abit not a lot before lifting weights.)
>>200629Stretchin is important after lifting you fuck.
>>201107Prove it, tripfag.
>>201107>>201110I googled it just now and first thing I read about it mind fucked me.Don't stretch before you lift weights because it's a waste of time and makes you weaker?Only do it afterwards?http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/health/325440_condor30.html
>>201131Damn thats a trip, but I mean, I thought stretching helped avoid cramps and warmed you up for physical activity? Although Im thinking about running and the article was about lifting.
>>201161Hardcore static streches before lifting exhaust you and make you perform less. Actually you don't even need limber muscles before you do lifting, just do some light bike/treadmill/rope to get the blood flowing. You need limber muscles when you are doing a sport like football or martial arts.
You need to be stretching, I recommend going from the static stretches in the pic to a little dynamic stretching. Of course, you should be warm first so 5-10 minutes of easy cardio beforehand is great.
