Fat Percentage Tester Anonymous
Hello /fit/

I've been going through the Venuto book and it appears that with his regiment there is a big demand for a fat % tester to gauge your results. I looked on Amazon and came up with this one, it's only about $25, and does 3 instead of 1 point testing for a more accurate reading, and can be used solo.

What do you think about this one, what fat percentage tester (if any) do you use?

Thanks,
motivated anon

What, why a scam? It's by Accu-Measure who Venuto specifically mentions in his book (p62 for those with the PDF). I'm just looking for a good investement in the $30 or less range that provides consistent results, this seemed to fit the bill.

halp?

If something's cheap, i'd normally avoid it. Lurk around on other sites and see what people recommend (do not use yahoo fucking answers).

Looks legit. For that price, it might break easily or not measure accurately, but it might also be perfectly fine. I Googled around can't find any negative reviews, so give it a try.

what kind of testers does anon use?

I have the accumeasure tape, and a tanita scale which also measures BF% by sending current into your feet etc..

the tape is great to track measurements, plus you dont need help with this tape.

the scale I know is not 100% accurate, but at least I can use it as a base to work with over time.

Man, with all the people touting that Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle book, I would think more of them would have fat measurement tools or some sort of recommendation...

I read the book, I'm following the guidelines to a T, but I haven't bother to get a body fat tester, I don't care.. although I'm still heavy, maybe when I get down in weight I'll think about it.

But one of the huge things he talks about is charting your progress weekly so that you can tell whether or not you have reached plateau in training and adapt accordingly.

I was really just hoping to see what other people use to chart their progress (if they even do).

looks like /fit/ is only useful when it concerns trolls or diets...

The tape is certainly useful, but its very hard to do skinfold testing on yourself.

Any electrical impedance bodyfat tester is going to be a waste of money.

Remember to make all measurements on the same day of the week upon waking.

Any evening /fit/ users have some input on this?
