Question of curiosity:

-What is your max or estimated max Bench Press?
-What is your max or estimated mac Military Press?

I'm interested in the ratio between the two. Mine is 185 bench press and 135 military press, or a ratio of 73%

I weigh 150

What is the significance of this to you though?

I was curious as to why the shoulders should be able to lift ~70% of your max bench without significant assistance from the pectorals.

Bench works your deltoids out to an extent and you use those while military pressing... so that probably has something to do with it.

Your pectorals aren't actually THAT strong. Sure, you can get a big bulging pair of man muscle-boobs but it's your shoulders that do a significant portion of the work on bench press

It depends on bench style and body type.
i just finished my first sheiko cycle and should be good for at least a 245 bench, but i bench with a super tight arch and alot of triceps, I would be surprised if i could overhead press 140lbs.

whereas more beginner benchers use poor form, dont tuck their shoulders lift their feet etc, so the delts work harder and therefore have a much higher press to bench ratio

top bench i estimate at 165 (fuck)
top military press was 120 last time i tried

205 max bench last time I checked. Never tested my max military press.
