Hey /fit I know that 5-6 meals a day is ideal and all, which I do do most days to keep my metabolism up. What I am wondering is if I am not hungry given what I have eaten hasn't deviated from what I usually do (type or portion size) do I still eat the small meals or piece of fruit or wait until I get hungry? Thanks heaps :)

Additional, related question (I'm not OP).

I want to lose weight so I basically planned to starve myself and just eat occasionally, like 1 proper meal every 2 days and a little snacking/fruit to keep me alive.

Will this affect (lower) my metabolism? Is this a really bad plan?

From OP, yes that is a horrible plan. Any weight you do lose from such a diet will rebound (if not moreso) once you start eating again due to your fucked metabolism.

I have started running 2 miles in the mornings again now. Dunno how much that will help weight loss but it will certainly help my fitness.

I usually go running when it suits me.

You should try eating atleast 4-5 times a day to keep your metabolism up, and try divide the food into small portion.

Go to 7chans /fit/ and take a look at the sticky.

I go running in the mornings because I'm overly self-conscious and like to go when there is no one around. I go around 6am.
