hey /fit/ long time stalker, first time poster. Im a 21 y/o who is damn skinny and i have a really crappy diet with no idea of how to change it or my lifestyle. I would consider myself unfit but im a fast runner and long distance runner and i dont seem to suffer too much for sitting on my ass all day. That being said,my posture is terrible, ive enver had the 6pack i wanted and my arms look like twigs. Suggestions?

op here,i always seem to lose confidence/concentration when it comes to signing up for gyms..have looked at a few very vageuly but never do it. I'd love to fence/play table tennis but i procrastinate far too much. Whats starting strength?

starting strength by mark rippetoe, you can download it in pdf format if you've no scruples or buy it.

/fit/ loves this book, as it gives a good explanation of the how's and why's of strength training and describes in detail a number of important exercises any strength training regime should include.

i also neglected to mention that a proper and balanced diet is incredibly important. maybe someone else can help you with that.

procrastination is bad. no need to feel self-conscious about the gym though; everyone there started off in the same position as you. serious /fit/fags focus on their workout and ignore everyone else.
