I always seem to be cracking something. Knuckles, knees, neck (only cracks on one side though), and back. Is this actually bad for you? We've heard all the arthritis talk, but is it actually valid?I've noticed that my back cracks quite a lot more now, and is sometimes sore. (I'm guessing bad posture?) What are some ways to help prevent the need to crack everything?
inconclusive, much like soy
soy...? what?
It doesn't cause arthritis. Cracking is caused by expansion of gas pockets inside joints and once the pressure differential rises (from inside joint and outside) it pops. There isn't enough medical proof to conclusively prove that cracking knuckles causes arthritis.
Some doctor cracked the knuckles on only one hand for some 20 odd years. He noted no differences between the two hands.
