Dude just cut out fast-food, soda, junk food(candy, ice cream) and start running and doing push ups+sit-ups to start.

You're not giving us alot to work with. We don't know your diet or your limitations (gym membership, time to work-out ect.)

Take happiness in knowing someone of your size can get away with 3-4 pounds a week healthily and you'll se results alot quicker. Just don't give up, don't say fuck it tomorrow or the next day.

Don't let this post be your last, their are helpful people here and this isn't /b/.

Just keep yourself motivated and bring more specific questions to /fit/ and you'll get the information you need.

It's arrogant to think fat people don't have friends.

Fat people are cute and fuzzy to girls on a friend level.

Sorry about the lack of info. I eat terribly. I hate veggies and hardly ever eat fruit. For breakfast, I usually have three bean and chesse tacos on corn tortillas. I usually eat some french fries and gatorade for lunch. For dinner it's usually something involving ground beef. Fast food is something I do a lot as well as drinking soda.

I know my diet is beyond terrible and I'm trying to fix it. I just want to know what are some simple things that I can do to perhaps speed up the process. A gym membership is possible, but I don't have reliable transportation and the gym is a good 15 miles away.

Oh, yeah. I'm also half mexican lol and I live in Texas.

So /fit/ is suggesting that I simply jog and do sit ups? Push ups are out of the question..I can't do any. I've got a pool at my disposal however. Would swimming some laps be some good exercise?

15miles to the gym?
Get a bike, bike there. Do the workout. Bike back.
Problem solved.

First thing first, cut out the fast food. It's ok, you can eat it once or trice a week, but just don't make it the base of your nutrition.

Girl push ups, do them on your knees instead of toes. Example:

If those are too hard, do them almost vertical to a wall.

Squats, body weight is a good start your size. Try to get up to 4*50, judging by your size and the fact that you are still fairly weak, there could be problems from doing them straight off with a barbell and a lot of weight.

Ok, been in your position... here some things I've learned and pieced together:

START SMALL!!!!!
first set some goals: The first one should be to stick a a program for 1 month. Set weekly goals as well, make these to do all your cardio, or do all your strength workouts. Make them achievable and simple:

I don't know your diet, but here are some helpful tips to fix any problems with it. These make great weekly goals early on.
~cut out anything carbonated
~cut out anything alcohol
~limit juice to a glass a day, preferably in the morning.
~drink 1 gallon + water per day
~no "diet foods" or sugarless foods.
~avoid anything with high fructose corn syrup
~each fresh foods whenever possible

try to limit how much you eat. 3 meals a day 3 snacks. Meals have 3 servings each, snacks have 1 or 2. A serving is roughly equal to a handful, or something the size of your palm. Limit your meals and snacks to one serving of carbohydrates. Try for more protien and veggies.

invest in a cheap set of adjustable dumbells and an ab wheel. make sure you have enough weight that you can make a pair of 5 lb dumbells, a pair of 10, and a pair of 15.

start small. Do supersets ( multiple exercises per set, no breaks between exercises). Start with squatz, deadlifts, dumbell bench press, and your ab wheel. 3 supersets (20 reps per exercise at 5 lbs for set one, 15 reps at 10 for superset 2, and 10 at 15 for the last one). Do you strength workouts every other day, and don't forget about a quick warm up.

add a new exercise each week: bent over rows, then bicep curls, then something for your triceps....you get the idea. Do some research and you find stuff that works for you.

30 minutes of cardio 3 days a week (preferably not on the days you train with weights), and don't forget a full day of rest where you don't workout or do cardio.

hope this helps and doesn't confuse you. good luck!
