So I'm somewhere along the lines of 15+ pounds overweight, and I've not been getting any exercice for a lot of time. This needs to change.

What would you recommend be the best way to go at it, during the first few monthes ?

If you are looking for a weight-lifting routine then I suggest Mark Rippetoe's starting strength routine.
