Hi there /fit/.

Being a fat fuck, I changed eating habits and picked up swimming. After reading a lot, I've been trying to work out a HIIT-ish swimming session.
Currently it looks like this ->
Warmup: 250m backstroke + 250m freestyle
70% effort: 250m backstroke
HIIT-ish part: 25m freestyle 90% effort followed by 25m freestyle 50% effort for 250m.
Cooldown: 200m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.
I've started adding another 50m freestyle 95% effort to the end.

Today after said session I almost threw up in the showers. I sat down and the feeling passed, felt like death.

Comment on the session or share a story about training 'til you drop.
Pic kinda related.

I swam a lot one day and i almost blacked out as i walked my way home, also, the first days i started swimming i'd do it until i got a cramp, and sometimes even that would not stop me from swimming.

OP here. Exactly same shit for me when I started swimming. Haven't had any cramps for a month now tho, maybe nutrition really helps. Also was dizzy sometimes when climbing out of the pool, thinking it happens because shitty swimmers don't breathe right.

I upped all my weights on Sunday (especially the deadlift and squat). The next day my CNS was so fucked I had no coordination whatsoever. Just kept dropping shit, and I fell asleep at 9.

Do 50m of all-out sprint butterfly. I guarantee you will feel like puking by the end of it, if you can maintain form. Once you get good enough you can put them on a 2 minute pace time and do a few of them.

That was exactly what I was planning to do after some more weeks with my current session, thank you for affirmation.
