I started a thread about this yesterday, but I only managed to reply to a couple of people before having yet another seizure.

I'm epileptic. The trigger for my seizures was believed to be sleep deprivation and the risk of me having a seizure minimal. That however has all changed. In the past week I have had two seizures which seem devoid of reason.

I spent last night in a local hospital where they preformed blood tests and a CT scan. The blood test came back normal but the CT scan seems to indicate that there is a deposit of calcium in my brain.

For anyone who was reading last night, yes, I have permenatly lost my driving licence pending further consideration from my neurologist.

My questions to you /fit/, how the fuck did I get calcium in my brain? Anyone else suffering something similar?

I had a sneaking suspicion.

From what little I know, neurons require a gradient of calcium and potassium ions to transduce their signals between cells. Calcium channel blockers are often prescribed for those with epilepsy. It's not anything particularly strange.
