So I just got braces, and because my teeth are so fucked up they had to add some other crazy shit in my mouth for a while. Basically, It's a real bitch to eat stuff. With the mess in my mouth right now It's like chewing with 2 teeth(1 on each side).

I've been working out for ~5 months and I'm a little worried on what I should do. I'm commuting/working from 6-4:30 and I got into the habit of eating a quick breakfast in the car, brunch at work, and a small meal around lunch time. But now pretty much the only food I can have is da OATZ.

I'm just wondering, what will happen if I started eating only ~1400 calories a day but still got 160 grams of protein, some fat carbs etc (I'm 165 pounds). I still need to lose a little weight(~22% now), but how will this affect my performance and gains?

it sounds like you have molar buildups? if you do, those are a HUGE bitch, but you get used to them in about 2 weeks or so. if you're still having a lot of problems with eating after that, your orthodontist can shave them down a little bit usually.

but until then, just man up and take it. eat everything you normally do, just cut it up into little bites so it's easier to chew. hell, put it in a blender if you have to

op here, yeah they are "bite blocks" HUGE pieces of ceramic on 2 of my teeth and these are the only ones that make contact while eating. Add that with the pain, the usual "dont eat this" braces bullshit and its hell.

I have braces and I know exactly what your talking about, its hard to eat alot, especially hard food. I just ate alot of yogurt, and soft foods in general. Whole milk is your friend, and also try investing in some heavy duty weight gainer, like 1k cal a shake. It helps alot.
