hey /fit/ i'm a girl who's father's been into bodybuilding ever since i was little. just out of pure boredom i've read my dad's books and whatnot by arnold, mike mentzer, skip lacour, etc.

i'm wondering what bodybuilders does /fit/ take advice from?

/fit/ only takes advice from /fit/ under the following circumstances:

1. if the reply is SQUATZ
2. if the adviser is not a female

>i'm a girl
oh, there's your problem. we'll never listen to you if you keep admitting that.

shut the hell up.

Mark Rippetoe - Starting Strength.pdf
Pavel Tsatsouline - Naked Warrior.pdf
Burn_The_Fat__Feed_The_Muscle_-_Tom_Venuto.pdf

these are the three PDFs I have downloaded because of /fit/. I hear 5x5 and HIIT often but haven't checked anything about them.

Most pro lifters don't know how to teach very well since they've had a coach, been so successful and never really had to refine their programs.

> "... bodybuilding is men on a stage in their underwear wearing brown paint showing other men their muscles. It is training for appearance only, and at the contest level requires a degree of vanity, narcissism, and self-absorption that I find distasteful and odd."

Reg Park was pretty much the only bodybuilder whose advice I would take. His routine was very similar to what Rippetoe et al are all about.
