This protein is fucking disgusting, i can't bear it. I can't even force myself, i just can't.
I want to stop taking protein supplements.
Is this bad? I'm doing a 5x5 training program, what could i do instead of eating whey proteins??

lots of other things have proteins in 'em.

ya but i heard that after a workout you need to absorb a fast-absorbed protein such as whey protein

Try bread or pasta.

Eggs?

It's probably more overemphasized than it deserves to be. Just eat sensibly and the fact that you avoid whey probably won't make any difference in the long run.

Eggs takes up to 9 hours to break down.

>>126578
Not enough proteins.

>>126581
Thank you, but can you suggest something to replace these proteins while i rack cash to buy better-flavored proteins?

Just eat a normal high protein diet, your body mainly rebuilds when you are asleep anyhow so if you don't get all this protein directly after a workout it's not going to hold you back that much.

Ignorantfag here trying to learn. What is the big deal if eggs take that long to break down?

i got stuck with a horrible flavored brand once (designer whey; shit was fucking n-a-s-t-y). it was that particular brand. i use dymatize now. it's relatively cheap (US $50 for 5 lbs) and every flavor i've tried (mocha, chocolate, vanilla, even chocolate mint) were very good.

if you're gonna give up whey, keep in mind that a scoop and a half of whey powder is equivalent to a whole can of tuna or 4-5 ounces of chicken (that's about 120-150 g for you nanny state fags). go ahead and swap out whey for lean chicken and fish, but keep in mind you will have to eat significantly more.

an additional recommendation: a half cup of cottage cheese before bed is ideal for slow digesting casein protein to get you through the night.

you need to refill some shit in your muscles after a workout it seems. egg protein is good for having protein over a large period, wich has benefits.
>> Anonymous
stop being a fucking pussy and drink it
>> Anonymous
If you block your nose when you drink something you can't taste it.

lol yes do this.

also OP tell us what brand your protein is so we can steer clear of it.

>you need to refill some shit in your muscles after a workout

yes, that's glycogen, and you need carbs for that. fast-absorbing carbs like dextrose are best for this purpose.

It is important to initiate protein intake very soon after exercise because such protein consumption can kick-start protein synthesis in the muscles
>> Moo !XBOXgikTFw
Tried mixing it with some cooking flavors? I mix a little maple syrup in :|

Whole milk. Tons of it.

Even the nastiest Whey proteins can be fixed with 1-2 tblspoons of NESQUICK chocolate mix, or strawberry if thats your kick.

A friend gave me some nasty vanilla stuff that tasted like a garbage can, but if I add in 1tblspoon NesQuick it only adds like 30 calories and it tastes 300x better.

Wow, I've always ever drank my stuff with warm water. Milk might be the way to go here...

I use EAS chocolate. It's not bad at all.

Protein should only be about 30% of your intake. Stop spending money on snake oil. The idea that ingesting more protein than you need will create bigger muscles is stone age level magical thinking.
