POWERBALL Anonymous
Sup /fit/ anyone ever tried using one of these. I have skinny forearms/bony hands and was wondering if this would help? I tried on briefly a few months back and it seemed to be very effective, it took me a while to get the hang of it but it got pretty tiring quite fast and I could even feel it working my upper arm trying to control it.

tl;dr anyone tried using one of these regularly, does it work?

Never used one but judging by the testimonials they seem pretty good. BUMP because the powerball might be worth a purchase if /fit/ approves.

i'm also intrigued o_O

These things are pretty damn cheap....

It's a gimmick. Not enough reliable resistance. Go do deadlifts.
>> Anonymous
If you're gonna buy one, get the 300hz, it completely destroys your arms.
>> Anonymous
good for rehabbing tendon injuries in your hand, which i have and i hate very much.

just imagine not being able to grip anything without cringing in some serious pain. yep, no heavy deadlifts or olympic lifts for me for at least a month

wtf do you mean not enough reliable resistance, once you get it ovr 10,000 rpm it's pretty much solid resistance for as long as you can hold it.
>> Anonymous
looks interesting but ill stick to deadlifts

OP here, my work means I don't always have access to gym equipment, and this is the kind of thing I could do anywhere

i don't know about overall grip strength, but as far as I know it's helping me recover faster. but what the hell do i know, i've been doing it everyday for about 10 minutes after that my fucking hand feels like death. but i can grip more without pain at least

Reminds me of this time I had to go a week without the gym, I filled my laptop bag with plates and anything heavy, then did bicep curls with it. Worked surprisingly well.

Do you do it for 10 minutes solid, and what RPM do you average?

"Unless you lucky enough to be a strong person, the powerball, i find, is dangerous. It literally took over my arm and nearly hit my friend in the face. Make sure you are in total control of the powerball, and if you are like me and not able to even spin the thing, make sure you are in the company of an adult to supervise you."

If you go on their website, they have a workout guide page and it seems to claim that depending on how you use it, it can pretty much work most of the major upper arm muscles and even pecs, as well as the wrist and hands. I'm a tad skeptical, seems slightly too good to be true for the price.

Holy shit this thing is fucking retarded.

POWERBALL FUCK YEAR

i don't know, I have the dynaflex one so it doesn't show RPMs, but i'm going pretty slow because if I go fast then my hand starts to hurt and when it comes to tendons I don't fuck around

I see, I also get tendinitis or some shit in my wrists occasionally so i'll look into this.

goddamn that website is hilarious

I got one. It's decent to get your lower arm somewhat conditioned I guess, but if I were going for bigger forearms I would just do regular exercises combined with>>393643that sort of shit.

The powerball feels pretty heavy once you spin it fierce enough, but I figure it's more of an endurance exercise than a strength/growth exercise. Still I can see people with certain injurys having benifits from it's usage.

Shit looks hilarious when you get it up to speed.
>> Anonymous
Damn that would improve my masturbating technique
>> Anonymous
>>393643
