To: All the people posting wondering if eating one cheeseburger or going out to Wendy's once will completely and utterly demolish your weight loss plan.

If you've been eating Happy Meals and supersized #4's for years and years, then eating it once a week is already a humongous improvement. Use your common sense, get on the treadmill, and eat smaller portions. You'll be fine.

Generally it's getting huge fucking sodas that make the meal really bad. For example, I LOVE McDonald's chicken nuggets AND their fries. I get it with a Diet Coke (luckily I was raised on Diet drinks, so the taste doesn't bother me). This is only 630 Calories, but if I were to get it with a regular soda, I'm sure it'd be over 800.

And if 630 is too much, I get the Happy Meal nuggets.

Seriously, just go to fast food nutrition guides and memorize what you can have without feeling guilty.

I find fast food bit pointless as a 'meal' - doesn't fill me up at all.
Rather have a pie.

- 1 or 2 fast food combos per week is better than 5, assuming you do want to entirely swear off them

- get a SMALL or even medium combo, not the Biggie Super Mac Fucking Daddy Whopper "Value" whatever

- get lemonade or tea instead of coke

- get a side salad instead of greasy fries

- make sure to specifically exercise on the days that you indulge in fast food (it'll make you feel less guilty that you caved in)

etc...

lrn2cook:
1. cheaper
2. tastier
3. healthier
Burgers I make at home are far superior to anything I could get at a fast food joint. Plus I can have any side item I feel like having (veggies, cereal, rice, beans, grits, fruit)

The secret to keeping any diet is to allow yourself to cheat every once in a while. Allowing yourself a delicious meal on Friday or Saturday and not worrying what's in it makes the rest of the week much easier.
