Hey /fit/,

So I started at a new gym today, and I noticed that they seem to have two kinds of barbells. One is the olympic barbell, but the other is like the olympic barbell but much shorter. It's not a standard barbell, the hole in the middle is the same, but it's 2/3rds or so the length of the other one. What is this, and is it okay if I use it for deadlifts, rows, and presses?

What's the matter with them? They're only a little lighter, I can still deadlift my max with them, only difference is that they're shorter.

stop being a bitch and get used to the olympic sized ones. besides its gonna be a fucking pain adding more plates to the shorter bar when you start going heavy.

Problem is they only have one oly bar, and it's nearly always in use
