Dear /fit/izens,

I try my best to have good posture, but it's really hard to think about when I'm trying to do something OTHER than stand/sit straight. Are there some ass-kicking exercises that will build my body into a better, straighter posture?

Indeed, we need some answers here. Are planks any good?

Like deadlifts and bent-over rows?

Is the powerlifting aspect going to work well with posture being endurance? Or is that sideways thinking?

Kill your core, improve your posture /advicedog

One day a week I do a core circuit: squats, dead lifts, weighted v sits, oblique twist machine(whatever that thing is called), and weighted reverse crunches. 10 reps of each, 10 circuits, no rest apart from the time it takes to move from one exercise to the next, go as fast as you safely can. Weight shouldn't be too heavy, you want good form throughout.

I think if you are really after better posture, good morning lifts are probably the king. just go fucking light. Those, with sit ups/ crunches and chin ups will probably be the ticket.
