Sup /fit/...

I have a problem, I'm 18, tall (6'1/6'2, haven't measured in forever). Skinny (165 lbs.) And have barely any muscle. I ran last year for CC, only picking it up 3 weeks before the meet and did terrible the entire year. I want to do better. I'm starting practicing in the spring when it gets warm enough to run (Northerner).

My question is: How do I not fail so terribly at CC? During the entire year last year i was in last place almost every time. What do I have to do? Any help would be appreciated (Running styles, Diets, workout, etc.)

Run more?

I never did CC because of marching band and jazz band conficts, but that seems like the logical thing to do. Get a good pair of shoes, or two and rotate them every other day.

As for diet, I've never been knowledgeable in that area other than eating a balanced one. You're not trying to lose weight so you have have to calorie count, just make sure you have the carbs you need to burn and drink lots of water.

For diet, it's pretty simple. DO NOT cut meals if you're running everyday. Heaving exercising on an empty stomach will make you vomit. Avoid fatty foods or greasy foods, and start replacing most all your drinks with water.
TLDR:
Don't cut meals, drink lots of water, and have a well balanced meal plan.
