whey protein shakes /fit/,

When to take them? How many servings per day? I've read 3 servings of 30g a day, but that'd make me use the full bottle of 900g worth 40$ in 10 days...

Have 1 serving immediately after working out.

Whoever told you 3x30 is a true waste of life. The purpose of whey is synonymous with its label as a SUPPLEMENT. There is no reason to be exceeding 1-1.5 g of protein per lb of body weight. To get 90g a day from whey is a pure waste of money, unless you are potentially a strong man ingesting 4-6,000 cal/day. If you are making a shake, using ON as a standard, I would go with two scoops into whatever you mix, post workout.

I actually take the recommended dose and I get through one tub every 14 days. I think the difference is small but in the long run it'd be worth it IMO. Plus im lucky enough to have the cash to burn.

If you only want to take one serving, take one after your workout. If you want to take two, take that either before bed or after waking up. I'd vote for waking up actually - whey protein is digested quickly so wouldnt have much use overnight. Take a glass or two of milk before bed too - milk contains casein protein, which digests slowly, which is good to keep your muscles fueled overnight.

So, by your math, you shouldn't weigh more than 60 lbs?

No ass. My point is to get 90 g of however much you would be getting a day from artificial supplementary sources is far too much. The majority should be from naturally-occuring protein sources, with the supplements to fill the gaps post-workout and when on the run.

Bulk Barn?

I bought some whey protein on sale for about $8 per pound I believe.
