I have an assymetric grip..During the press my left hand curls backwards(like in the attached pic but more backards) while my right hand is pretty much paralel to my forearm. My left shoulder is less flexible than my right one.I have a lot of trouble to throw a ball using my left arm. I throw it verticaly and not very far. With the right hand i can throw it up to 8 times farther, no joke. Also, is it normal that i feel a 'pump' when i do Press with low weight during my warm-up sets but that i don't feel burn/pump during my work sets? I lift 65 lbs..
Sounds like your hands aren't in the right position. During a press the bar should be laying across your palm heel, not at the crook of your fingers.
>>149294I heard the bar should be near the fingers to minimize calouses..
>>149345In a vertical press, not so much. The bar should be in the most stable area of your hand: the palm; any higher and you're just needlessly hyperextending your wrist.
