If your about 6 feet and 230 lbs, your target weight should be around 180 pounds or so, thats a pretty good weight for being 6 feet tall. You can change that number according to your goals. Heres how to lose the weight.
step 1: Get rid of bad habits, eating fast food, drinking soda, smoking etc.
step 2: Join a gym and begin a workout routine, be sure to see your doctor before beginning. Focus on cardio but do not neglect weight training.
step 3: Write down everything you eat for a week. Once the week is over take a look at your eating habits and change them into habits that will help, not hurt you. research nutrition and the foods you should be eating, then eat them.
Step 4: Get the proper amount of sleep every night. Your muscles can't grow without sleep and you can't perform at your peak when you are tired.
Step 5: Record your workouts in a journal, and keep tabs on how you are eating as well
Do this for 3 months and you will have lost atleast 10 lbs, probubly more.
