an actual answer: When you go without flossing for a long period of time, germs called plaque eat the food you cant brush or listerine away. they feed off of sugars and protiens from anything that gets stuck in there, which is Alot surprisingly. These germs also eat away at your tooth, creating 'cavities'. I don't know how long cavaties take to develop, but if you think they're important not to have, then flossing is important.
