weight loss? Anonymous
sup /fit/

I'm tryin to burn some fat, have tried jogging/running schedules in the past but my shin splints act up to the point that I'm crippled for days. No, I'm not THAT overweight... only 180 lbs. for 5'11.

That being said, I'm still a fatty so whats the best way to get in shape without excessive amounts of running?

So is that weight from muscle, fat, or just size?

If you're a male or a female who doesn't mind getting a bit of muscle, do some push ups, they're extremely efficient and work out your entire upper body. A sit up is fine too.

Buy better running shoes and you won't get shin splints.

Ill fuck you skinny.

Try low-medium impact martial arts or activities like yoga. And don't eat crappy food.

lol, cardio is superior, what the hell have you been smoking? Especially early mornings before breakfast.

bullshit you fucking know-nothing faggot. moderate intensity cardio in a semi-fasted state is best. Avoid HIIT during cutting phases. Weight lifting is ok but shouldn't be used alone for optimal weight loss, that's just plain retarded. Fucking faggot.

More bullshit jesus fuck everyone on /fit/ needs to spend a few weeks reading up on shit than firing from the hip - if you work out before anything you want some form of energy in you to prevent catabolisis. granted your fat stores are "released" during your fasted state and exercising during a fasted state is great for fat burning but with no protein or carbs there needs to be an initial burn of glycogen resulting in gluconeogenesis to previde that kindling.

Sure, "bud". But I'm not the one with the problems.

Now, back on topic shall we?

OP should take it easy, get better running shoes and just walk maybe once a week in a week.

That or resort to many other techniques, yet I don't have the time to list them now, since I have to get up early.

Sorry but eating carbohydrates gives you more energy, not less, bud.

Let me get this straight... Because you got told on the internet in all caps I have a fucking problem? No, the only problem here is your perception of reality. Fuck off and die faggot.

no. not if you are either carb-intolerant or highly insulin insensitive. both of these conditions will result in large carb consumption causing fatigue and sleepiness.

ever had a big breakfast and then felt tired two hours later? or gotten sleep a couple of hours after lunch? that's diet. has nothing to do with the time of day.

try this, get a good nights sleep and then have a high-carb breakfast, either lot's of toast or pancakes and syrup, that kind of thing. if you're tired two hours later, then stop eating so many carbohydrates. have healthy fats and protein for breakfast. if not then you're someone who is very carb tolerant. so just keep on eating.

OP if you have problems with running on a regular surface, then try buying a pair of good running shoes from a specialist store. For example runners choice, where the sales person actually knows about the shoes and how they help treat different conditions. Also high end running shoes like aisics or mizuno have many different running shoes cause they are made for different types of feet, and you can find specific shoes from those companies to fit your foots heals and arches properly for more support. Also you can try to use a non impact elyptical running machine like a precore, which you shouldnt get shin splints from using. pics related its a precore running machine.

and sorry /fit/ that im retarted and dont know how to spell elyptical right
