Hey /fit/,

Can anyone prescribe a good regiment for a really good ab workout?
I used to do competitive trampoline and I've kept up same physique throughout highschool, only needing to do sit ups every couple months to keep my stomach lean. Now that I'm going into Uni, I'm trying to fill out my upper half a bit more, mostly pecks and abs.
I've heard people saying I should workout my abs every day. while others say it's a bad idea to do crunches more than once a week. What's a good regiment to get my 8 pack back? Right now, I'm doing 4 sets of 25, every two days.

also, my upper abs usually get much more defined than my lower muscles, any tricks to working those ones harder?

Dragon flags.

lower your body fat percentage, your lower abs aren't less defined there, just many men store their more of their body fat in the location you are referring to.

Your abs only do one thing, just do whatever you choose to do consistently...crunches, leg raises, hanging leg/knee raises... whatever.

as you can see, your abs are all one muscle you twat, so no. it's time to lose more weight around that gut fatty

Do bicycle crunches and lower your body fat %. Figure out how to measure it.

Its not like your abs have multiple heads or anything like the biceps or triceps/shoulder. they do one thing... spot loss is a myth, and definition is just lowering your body fat percentage (and maybe increasing vascularity for some)

Alright, thanks for the input. If I'm doing dragon flags, what's a good regiment to follow, to begin with obviously. Will this exercise also help me define my lower mid-section, fat wise?

NO SUCH THING AS SPOT REDUCTION!

Thank you for not saying "regime", OP.

Even though it's one muscle, exercising from different angles emphasizes different portions of said muscle.

Spot fat reduction is a myth, spot muscle building is not.

So what's a good workout schedule to build around either dragon flags or bicycle crunches?

localized development in ONE muscle is IMPOSSIBLE. it all grows at the same rate. you can do specific exercises to specifically certain regions of one muscle to use up all fibers. but as far as development goes, localized growth and development is impossible.

don't be one of those idiots that believe incline bench presses help your "upper" pectorals grow.
