Can we turn this into a general "squat form" thread? I have a few nagging questions.
1. I know how important it is to keep your weight off your toes and on your heels, but what if I feel comfortable just balancing my weight across my whole foot? That seems like the most natural way for me.
2. I know Rippetoe is a big advocate of "hip drive", and he almost advocates kicking your ass off the ground at the start of your drive up. But I saw a pretty convincing squat rx video where he said that this kind of motion can quickly turn a squat into a Good Morning, which makes sense. What does /fit/ recommend? If I don't use a lot of hip drive and just push up with my legs, it seems to work my quads a lot more, but if I use some hip drive, I can squat a bit heavier, I find.
