/fit/ I've been trying to do inverted rows but I can't get my chest to the bar. Are you actually supposed to make contact between your chest and the bar? I've tried as hard as I can, but it doesn't even feel like I'm working any muscles, I just can't go up further. If I try to reposition myself to get my chest closer, I can pull myself up further, but instead the bar comes near my neck and not chest. Is it a flexibility issue? I'm doing the SL 5x5 and on the site it says I should be touching the bar and if I can't its because I lack strength and should to easier versions, like the bent-leg inverted row, but even for those I can't make contact. I'm not having any trouble at all for any other exercise in the program. Is it a flexibility issue?TL;DR - Does your chest have to touch the bar in inverted rows?pic unrelated
Fuck inverted rows; do bent-over barbell rows.
>>455708I'll look into that. Do I have to touch the bar to my chest in those?
>>455708do barrel rolls.
>>455720I heard barrel rolls are really bad for your lower back.

>>455756Why is the new stronglifts bad?
>>455708this. and if it touches it, better. but hey, its better to struggle with the olympic bar and 35lbs weights and not touching it than actually touching it with only 25.
