I'm 180cm tall and weight ~100kg (google: 220lbs and 5,9 feet).Am I too heavy to run and should I stick with swimming, etc.?
I'd wait until you get down to at least 85kg before any running
>>152278not OP, but isn't running supposed to be the best weight loss activity?
dependsare you 100kg of fat and haven't been doing any exercise for a long time?
>>152296I am now 90 kg (again not OP) and I'm not doing any real exercise. I just walk for about an hour a day.
OP, there's also something called walking. Go with four 1-hour walks a week, watch what you eat, and be patient.
>>152296I'm rather unfit and was worried about my joints. Ok, so I will stick with some less stressfull excersises and diet and wait till I drop few kilos.
no way man. I'm in worse shape than you are in (5'11, 260lbs) and i'm on week 4 of this jogging programhttp://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtmlI can jog for 7 minutes straight now and i've never felt healither.
>>152353just because you feel fine now doesn't mean you might not damage your knees; they aren't designed to carry that much weight for a sustained length of time. Just ride a bike or swim, it's not hard.
