Hello, /fit/.

I am what you call "skinny fat". I am 5"8 and weigh 140 lbs. Doctor says I need to gain weight, but I would rather gain it in muscle than fat. Right now I have loads of fat on my stomach and thighs. What are the best fat-burning exercises I can use to make myself a skinnyfag who can then work out and become a fitfag?

Before I make you RAEG, I do not believe spot reduction exists and am not asking for that. I just want to know the best fat reducing exercises.

Just cardio, man. Since you're skinnyfat and not fatfat, running is a good option for you. Just get some proper running shoes and start easy. Also diet is even more important than exercise. Also if you want to gain muscle, you might as well do it before losing fat. It will help you lose the fat when you have the muscle.

Also, I'm amused that your doc says you need to gain weight. 5'8" and 140 lbs. is a pretty good weight. Not that you aren't skinnyfat, but the weight is well within the healthy-but-not-a-fitness-freak range.
