I had a heart operation last year and had a bitch of a time going through recovery. My girlfriend left me a week after the surgery saying she couldn't cope with it - the two put together were a big blow to my confidence.

Now slowly I've been crawling out of the gutter and in two weeks time I'm going on a date with an absolute stunner, and now more than ever I'm very concious about my body.

tl;dr How do I go about losing 5 kilos in 14 days, in a safe & controlled manner?

cardio, lifting, 6-meals-a-day high protein diet, lots of water, no soda, no salt, and absolutely no carbs after your mid-morning snack.

with any luck you won't die from heart complications (cardio should be HEAVY) and you should drop the first easy 3-4 kilos by then.
