Hey /fit/, if Im new to HIIT, doing sessions 5 minutes long of 20seconds hard 10 seconds rest, how often is it safe to do this for a HIIT noob?

Its ok if you can manage. You should be doing some kind of resistance training as well.

You can do progressively more as you get used to them, but 2 times a week is a decent start. You can do Tabata Intervals with almost any type of exercise, though. Just limit Tabata-ing the same exercise too much.
