Keep doing Stronglifts and Rippetoe noobs, I'll be over here gaining massive amount of muscle with less effort and in minor time.

Stronglifts and rippetoes is for strength. with strength comes size. If you cant lift anything, and get on a bodybuilding routine, you will see MINIMAL, if any, gains in strength and size. How many really big guys do you see benching 95lbs? Not many. Even Arnold started out with strength training before he switched to bodybuilding. (pic related). Stronglifts and Rippetoes sets you up with a foundation. Once your stronger, switching to bodybuilding will be easier.

I dont see how going 5x5 with very heavy weights is going to be that much more profitable than going 3x8 with somewhat lighter weights (but still heavy)

It's more likely than you think.

For starters, Bodybuilding is about “shaping” muscles, you need some base muscle mass, and thus base strength, before you think about that. And the fastest way to do that is compound lifts with heavy weights with lower reps. Doing isolation exercises won't increase your strength very much, and will also make you look un-proportionate.

I read hypertrophy specific and strength specific training stuff, it's not exclusive from Rippetoe etc, particularly the strength specific stuff. It's about the programming.

Clearly you don't know what HST (as pictured in OP's) is.

Even HST adherents like to strength build sometimes - different stimulus, continual gains

Just cycle between Strength and HST and be done with it.

so my SQUATZ will make me look disproportionate and render me weak while your SQUATZ wont cus you slap on another 30 lbs ? right

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would want to be big without being strong.

I think my head would explode if I went for size rather than strength.

On a practical level, it's understandable. Most people would choose to pick a fight with an olympic weightlifter over a bodybuilder if they had to

I'm sure you can find a reason if you think really really hard

You sure?
Not me, even if I didn't know what they both trained for. I'd assume the (bigger) bodybuilder was slower.

Most people wouldn't assume that

A smart person wouldn't.

Actually most people would, though I know that bigger doesn't necessarily mean slower.
