I've been seriously sick the last week and a half. the doctor gave me antibiotics with instructions not to work out and just rest it up. I'm done with the anti-biotics and I'm ready to work out now.

Should I take it easy or just go balls out and do it all FOR AMERICA!

If you're not gonna go balls out, don't even bother.

I learned this the hard way. The reason why they tell you not to lift weights when you're sick is because its your white blood cells specifically that repair and rebuild muscle tissue. Lifting weights compromises your immune system when you're sick since its split between two duties and the infection gets worse than if you were just resting.

Workout if you're completely recovered, otherwise you might get a relapse.

well the doc said once I finished with the antibiotics I could work out. and I took the last one today so tomorrow I'll do a workout. I did gain some weight while I was on teh anti biotics. so I should do some cardio.
