anyway, muscle burns more calories, you want to keep every last ounce of it that you have and gaining more will only help you lose weight and keep it off.
i'd suggest HIIT for weight loss, i know /fit/ seems to suggest it for everyone, but it is very effective and takes less time then steady state (everyone likes things to take less time) it's high intensity interval training. so you run as hard as you can for a minute (or 2 minutes or 90 seconds, whatever time frame) then you walk or jog for the same amount of time, then do another interval of running hard, then walk/jog and do that until you can't do it anymore. it shouldn't take long to get exhausted, don't eat anything right after either as your body will continue burning up calories for a while afterwards (wait around 40 minutes before you eat anything after)
also, how many calories are you eating/ what does your daily diet look like?
