Yes, I have used cassien with whey before. If you are interested in cassien, I am assuming you know it is absorbed slower by the body(4-5 hours per ~25g), when compared to protein absorption rates of whey protein (1-2 hours per ~25g).
The key is to stagger your use of both whey and cassien so as to shock your system, causing for the most effective protein absorption, as to ensure you are always in an anabolic state you want to maintain certain levels of protein synthesis, and cassien provides this.
I don't take cassien anymore, as I have found a better alternative (The 24-hour complex from GNC); usually, I will take a slow-release protein 2-3 hours before bed, and take whey with my breakfast, and after workouts.
