6', 240 lbs. Time to lose 50 lbs, but I want to work up a moderate build as well.

Do I -have- to work out fat loss first, then build? Or is it possible between cardio and work out to do succeed in both simultaneously?

Like, if already gained weight were the same as weight gain phases, that would be nice :/

Just keep doing what you're doing, it's obviously working wonders.

You can only build weight every other day because you have to give your body time to grow.
Weight loss can be done every day within reason.

Also, I heard you can only put on 1 pound of muscle a week but you're able to lose more than that.

So go for it, but make sure your muscle-gaining exercises are every other day at most.

It's easier to lose weight first and then bulk up.
Bulking without eating like a horse is not possible.

Thanks. My work outs are always spaced like that. I bet I can loose 2 pounds a week. At that rate, maybe I can at least put on a little muscle. If nothing else, I feel so much better when I hit the gym.

That's what I thought. Would I be sort of wasting my time at the gym in phase 1, or would I still be building useful strength and maybe laying the basis for an approaching build?

you might not build huge muscle in the gym without eating, but you'll burn energy working out and that will help lose weight faster.
Besides, every bit of muscle you gain will burn more calories per day, speeding things up more.
So work out all you like.

Apparantly 1lb of muscle only burns 11 calories a day. Not worth attempting to build muscle when trying to lose weight imho.
