What does /fit/ use for motivation? I've been burnt out on keeping up my daily routine and it's been showing.

Find a workout that means shit to you other than being fit. Learn kungfu or play DDR or something.

I just tell myself after every lap/set;

Bisexuality; it's really easy to compare oneself to an attractive male and fall short

It's what got me started on this in the first place

Looking at people in better shape than i am, generally. Now that i've actually reached my goal (or close enough), the mirror is a pretty good tool for keeping me on my routine.

Simply wanting to be bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone else is motivation enough for me.

Heath reasons are secondary to making myself a more attractive prospect for the ladies.

This 48 page (and growing) thread: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=898532

OP:
>Were you treated differently after losing alot of weight?
>For those of you that have lost alot of weight tell me if people acted diff. towards you or if you noticed anyother changes with yourself.
>Did you get more stares?
>Did your genitals change in size?
>Did you get negative or jealous reactions fromn friends/family?
>Discuss

I've read this thread at least a dozen times since November, and reading through a lot of the replies keeps me motivated.

Also, using blood pumping music when I work out helps, too.

I probably shouldn't say it here, but a part of me thinks it's kind of sad that somebody's reason to better themselves is simply to be treated better by others.

Not that people shouldn't want that, aim for it, or get it. I dunno what to say, I'm conflicted.

While the thread is tl;dr, holy hell yes. Especially in the last few weeks. I am in no terms close to what I should be, but I'm down about a significant amount of what I was a year ago, and no less than 5 random people (I don't even know what their names are) have commented (and the ladies have been particularly kind in the last few months). Goddamn if that isn't a motivator.

True, but it's one of the "immediate" benefits of getting fit, so it's about as close to an "instant" reward as you can get. And unfortunately, people do treat you differently according to your physical appearance, even if you're the exact same person before and after your weight loss.

Seconded

Wow holy fuck that really does motivate me, even as someone who's looking to put on weight instead of losing it. I'm pretty proud of myself for putting on 33 pounds since I've started but knowing that people out there are losing 100+ pounds makes me want to work my ass off.
