Ok /fit/ I've gotten to the point where I want to be from bulking (strength wise) and am going to start cutting to lower my bodyfat%

To do this should I just start heavy cardio (I've been focusing on lifting and not doing any cardio for a while) and reduce my daily calories?

I'm 5'11" 193
Bench Press, Squatz, and curlz (dumbell and barbell).
I also deadlift, overhead press along with my general push-ups and crunches I do every day.

Change your diet. Weights are great for losing weight, too.

I'm not going to stop all together but I want to get my bodyfat as low as possible while still remaining healthy, I have an idea what weight I'd like to get to but I'm not shooting for that specifically because I know just losing weight is idiotic and counterintuitive.

You've got it right, more cardio, better diet, maybe try endurance weights (lower weight more reps)

Good luck.

I was just saying you don't need to up the cardio to get great fat burning. I've often had the best results in fat loss by just eating differently and concentrating on continuing with weights.

When I want to lose body fat, I focus more on legs, with deadlifts, squats, and leg presses. On days when I'm in a hurry, I'll do 30 minutes of cardio with some pullups.

Cardio burns calories while you do it at a rate of about 600cal/hour. So in an hour you could burn 600cal but after you stop, you rapidly go back to a normal metabolic rate.

Weight lifting can range from 400-800cal an hour, depending what you lift and how, and you will continue to burn calories for 45-60 minutes after

Well OP here... I'm kind of blindly stumbling around hoping I find something that works, I just happen to have a weight bench in my basement and a lot of free time.

They also have more muscle mass, and a higher metabolic rate.

'cut weight' is not the same as lose weight. It means trimming the fat off a bulked body that has larger muscles that demand energy. Dropping the calories some while maintaining the same demand for energy will result in body fat being tapped into for energy.

TLDR: with muscles, that's how.

You need to get your shit together son.

What is your diet like? Just saying you want to cut won't do shit.

Woke up 11 am
noon I had a starbucks coffee (I have one every 5 or 6 months so I let myself indulge)
2pm I had a little bit of white rice with chicken water chestnuts and pineapple
6 pm I had a small baked porkchop with some steamed broccoli
10 pm I had a bowl of campbells steak and potato soup (260 calories in a can not TOO bad)
midnight Banana
2 am 2 hard boiled eggs.

Thats my diet prior to cutting.

So is that good or bad?

Thats not the greatest but for pre-cutting? Thats a fine diet.

Because unlike you they don't do it halfassed and actually put some effort in.

Well a lot of people use 'cut' to mean lose weight, when really a 'cut cycle' is generally about stripping fat and water.

But for some people, losing weight is easy. Guys like Ronnie Coleman cut like 40lbs in 3 months reliably every year.

Its about dedication and intensity. Anyone can lose the weight if they stick to their plan. Even the simplest of plans (eat x calories, jog x miles) will work, as long as you just do it.

I don't generally eat breakfast because of when I wake up and the lack of healthy breakfast options I have at my house (none)

Eat a freaking boiled egg and oatmeal. How hard is that? Have a peice of toast.

Well how would you suggest cutting bodyfat to tone up? If someone has obtained the muscle they want but need to lower bodyfat so it shows what should they do?
