Jesus christ grampa, get off the internet

Total cholesterol: Below 200 mg/dL is optimal for healthy individuals
LDL: 100-129 mg/dL is optimal for healthy individuals
HDL: 60 mg/dL and above is best for everyone
3glycerides: Below 150 mg/dL is desirable

You're not special, and you're not important. They don't break this shit up based on age, height, and gender. If you exceed those numbers, you're getting into the shit with your health. Be happy and shut the fuck up and go do something worthwhile with your time, like getting stronger.

if only there was an organization that provided recommended cholesterol levels to that people could know whether they were healthy...

American medicine isnt about health, or even about creating health

its all about treating pathologies, and the mitigation of them. (and $)

we dont make you healthy, we make you 'unsick' (this literally should be its moto)

its terrible and short-sighted, but the only time you will likely involve yourself in teh american medical system is if there is SOMETHING WRONG. zero active preventative measures.

so i would be interested in what OP wants as well. but i only know the Party lines of ACSM, AHA, etc. nothing for 'optimal'
