Ok /fit/ i know you hate these threads but i have to ask.

About 2 months ago i completly changed my diet and started going to the gym, i was about 210/5'10

I cut all the shit out of my diet, only eat/drink healthy stuff now, started going to the gym pretty hard at first 2 hours a day, every day.

At the moment im sticiking to the same diet, and at the gym i tend to:

40-50 Minutes Bike
15 Minutes Rowing Machine
and then every other day weights i have at home.

I do this almost every day, is this enough to continue losing weight? I have dropped a few jean sizes and all my shirts are getting baggy but is this enough, or do i need to do more, if if i keep this up will continue to see results?

sounds alright to me, just keep it going and dont slip back into any bad diet habits, should be fine, just remember exercise is not a fucking 1 month miracle cure, it will take time.

sounds good....

as a rowfag:

what are your splits?
do you have good form? (if you have to ask, you probably don't)
why only fifteen minutes?
you don't set the resistance level to 10 without knowing what it's there for, do you?

honestly.......
>what are your splits?
Not sure, i know it takes me 8.30 average to do 2000m (im not very strong/muscular yet)

>do you have good form?
I really dont know, i try to keep upright and keep my back straight, i assume thats right?

>why only fifteen minutes?
Usually do my 8.30/9min 2000metres then maybe just row on till my arms really feel it then stop.

>you don't set the resistance level to 10 >without knowing what it's there for, do you?

....its always set on 10, i never changed it, shouldn't i?

i row at the gym and its always set on 10, im kinda curious now too rowfag, tell me the error of my ways.

if you enjoy rowing dont bother with a 2000m workout, just row until you cant anymore, also i assume you row after your done on the bike so your heartrate is up. Thats should be fine, its hardly going to slash the pounds off, but you will notice the changes.

Hey OP, what did you do at the gym when you did your 2hour sets then?
>> Anonymous
>>107240
umm... it took longer because i had no weights then so i did them at the gym, i did somethinglike:

30min bike
2000m rowing machine (10minutes)
15 minutes weights
10 minutes treadmill
10 minutes weights
30-45 mins bike

by then i would be dead on my feet.

8:30 isn't too shabby... get it down to 8 and it'll be pretty decent

actually, yes that is right... also, pull in toward your sollar plexus.

sounds good as for reasoning of 15-20 minutes

per resistance at 10:
most rowers have in their main menu, an option that allows you to measure the resistance objectively, you want the resistance to be between 100 and 120 units (usually, this is between 3 and 7)
>> Anonymous
>>107249
so should i drop it from 10 to 7? just incase the machine dosent have that feature?
>> Anonymous
>>107255
if the machine is blue, it has that feature... if it's black, then yeah, 7 would be a good estimate.... it gives you a better workout to have the resistance right

do more fatty fat fat!

no but seriously, you have completed phase one:

>Put down the fork!

so anything extra is a bonus man, just keep at it, but keep pushing dont settle into a gym "routine"

will do, off to gym now, thanks for advice.

you will eventually need more [not heavier, but MORE, as in sets if you wanna lose weight] but hell, dont make the mistake i did. Dont go to the gym everyday and work for two hours. your body will get used to it if you set a routine like that and eventually start to protect itself from all that work done, and you'll be back at storing fat as usual.

my advice?

keep with your diet, change your training program. dont do the same moves, in the same order, every fucking day. rest. rest your muscles because only then they'll grow.

if you exercise the first thing in the morning, then do it in the evenings. do weight lifting first, then do cardio [general advice] do HIIT and no weight lifting some days. Add some variety. Surprise your body.

thanks man, i 75% of the time go after work, so around 8pm-9/10pm.

one or two days a week i go at about 3pm, weekends i go early 11am-ish

im definatly keeping with the diet, fruits/good breakfast and small meals, and its all going great so far, just wanted to know what i need to do to chnage it up in the long run.

You said your diet was healthy, you train hard for two hours every day.
Yes, you will continue to lose weight this way, if you lost enough fat to feel comfortable in your skin, you can start packing on some muscle.

Keep up the good work Anon!
