best form of martial arts for actuall combat Anonymous
not like tournaments and things like that.

i mean in a street fight

(NO SAYING "USE A GUN/ KNIFE" or "RUN AWAY"
>> Anonymous
there are no street fights you idiot.
>> Anonymous
use a gun or a knife, or run away.

next best is to pull down your pants, take a crap in your hand, and rub it all over your face. nobody will touch you then.
>> Anonymous
Probably something like muay thai, where you use all your limbs.

Most helpful would be a mixing of the martial arts.

you know what i mean.

take a crap in ur hands then not even a martial artist will approach u

mix of kickboxing and grappling

mma

and yes, run away from a street fight. Because if you do not have a gun/knife, the other guy might.

Krav Maga.

in b4 flood of Jews and their Krav Maga.

There are several styles developed specifically for dealing with actual combat. Most of them are used as (or designed particularly for) military systems (Krav Maga).

The only good one that isn't a military system is BJJ.

krav maga is more of self-defence than actual fighting ability. krav maga is good for learning awareness of ur surroundings and pressure points, but tbh, the actual techniques suck when compared to stuff like boxing, MT, or wrestling.

KM's value is more about putting you in a certain mindset than actual technique.

there is no best
take what is good from all styles and discard what is useless
every fight is different, take advantage of your surroundings, and believe in yourself and your skill
there is no best

i wasn't joking. there isn't a best style. i wish it were different. i wish we could go out and learn theonetruestyle and become an owning machine. but unfortunately we can't. just learn something. there isn't a best style.

if deep down in your heart of hears you really need an answer here it is: krav maga

you're welcome

You want the honest truth? Raw aggression, tesosterone, and military close quarters combat. You learn where the most vulnerable points of the human anatomy are, train to attack them, and most importantly how to disarm them aswell as use weapons of your own.

If you're trained to defend your life at all costs and kill your opponent with no other choice - what more could you ask for? On your own time, train crossfit and hit a heavy bag period.

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU LIVE!? fucking idiot theres always street fights somewhere if youve never been in one either ur completely sheltered or just lucky. go to any social event theres always one guy trying to start shit, yes its easier and always better to walk away sometimes you have no other choice but to throw down. Shit happens its always better to know what to do in case it does. get out of your basement faggot.

A good fighter does not stick to one martial art. But they also don't spread themselves out so much that they have no relevant expertise in anything...

Bruce Lee was basically right. I'd say what you want for basics...

Krav Maga for awareness and disabling.
Very, very basic grappling (ignore people who suggest full-on grappling like BJJ, they're fucking idiots, if a fight goes to the ground to that degree despite all your masterful snapping of thug #1's neck, his buddy is going to be right there ready to step on your trachea with great vigor).
A fundamental knowledge of kickboxing techniques (savate)/boxing techniques.
Look into the By-Jon stance, which is the backbone of JKD.
Maybe fencing for building up footwork and coordination of said footwork.

I really wish I lived in an area where I could actually learn some of this shit. I've only been in 4 fights (all of which sucked, all it took was a good kick to the nuts in each one to win..) and I've been interested in martial arts since the first. The idea of fighting was fun, although the fights I had been in were a serious letdown.
Closest thing I have to any martial arts gym/dojo around here are: Mcdojos (2 on every corner!) and fucking fitness gyms - balley, LA, et c. But fuck all of those. Closest REAL place is about 70 miles WHY MEEEEE?

get a book

Will a book really help with anything? It seems like a book would be more of a mental prep than anything else. Without someone to practice with, what's the point?

more important than technique is experience in actual fighting (of course it's best to actually have both!)

in a real fight, you won't be composed enough to apply the jewish lies you learned in krav maga or your bullshit fancy katas from a karate class in which you only choreograph moves

what really helps, is a martial art in which you regularly spar with full contact (boxing, any form of grappling, muay thai etc.)

Krav Maga, muay thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

I learned Krav Maga and boxing for 8 years, during that time I was a little gangsta wannabe retard and got in some fights.
I don't think I've ever used my Krav Maga knowledge to defend myself, boxing is where it's at.
I knocked out much stronger and guys in 1-3 punches without them even touching me.

The point is that you train Krav Maga to be absolutely second nature. You don't stand there in a fight thinking "oh shit, what was that move again?"

That said, the best bet is to keep it very simple. Boxing/Thai boxing + BJJ will suffice. The rest is just down to instinct and experience.

all 3 together would adjust for just about any conceivable regular situation. Totally good advice FTW.

Akido = great too.

use gun kata.
speed of thought> all

it doesn't matter what style you take as long as you fucking learn to punch hard and not get hit.
