i need a hand, and i think this part of 4chan may help...
newoutofshapefag here, i was in amazing shape throughout college, even in highschool befor ei started lifting i was healthy... skateboarded, partied and got laid, pretty often too.
college came around and i started lifting, i was in good shape so meeting girls was easy, i had a shoudler injruy from my skateboarding days and it was like it never happened. i was confident to approach anyone and make friends. i did well in school and started my career at the young age of 20.

i do shiftwork and am a medic now, i stopped working out, shoulders hassling me, i sprained my ankle which still bothers me a year after, i dont party, it almost doesnt even bother me that im rarely getting laid. im successful, have money, have a car, a bitching job im smart and im 25 pounds heavier in 2 years since i left college. im miserable now. depressed, drinking, playing wow (out of boredom, not addiction)

i need some motivation, its hard to eat healthy at work wehn you dont know when you are going to get your lunch, sometimes its 4 hours in to your shift other times you dont eat for 10 hours into your shift (and nothings open at 3am). and my shoulder and ankle are bothering me way too much.

i need some motivation and help with my meals and a workout to ease back into things without causing further injury

goal is 190 pounds. ive still got the muscle, just have a lot more fat too. since ive got the exprience and not starting out from scratch, how long will it take to drop 25 lbs you think?

dude, it's called getting older. don't worry about not wanting to go out and party and do all of that shit. i mean, if you really want to go ahead but it's not thatb ig of a deal that you're not thirsting for it like you did when you were 18.

as for getting in shape? Well, i have two bummed shoulders, a fucked up ankle and it kept me back for years. you're going to have to do what i did and that is this:

learn to live with it and train accordingly. i can no longer lift heavy like i used to without being in pain so i simply don't. I do cardio and calisthenics that are easy. do i have the body or the strength i did 3 years ago? Fuck no, but i'm not letting a few bum joints turn me into a fat slob. Just because you can't lift weights and train like an animal doesn't mean you cannot have a nice body and stay in decent shape.

i personally found calisthenics to be great for people with bum joints because you learn how to move your body properly rather than moving other objects. It's much easier to listen to your body when doing pushups and pullups than it is when doing over head press or clean and jerk. But most importantly, look into physical therapy. make sure you have been treated by a doctor and are recieving proper therapy and accomodate your life accordingly so as to not aggrivate it

tl;dr: don't worry about not partying, you're getting older and you are growing out of it. accomodate your life style so that you don't hurt yourself and learn to live with it rather than getting depressed over what you can no longer do.
