ITT: Our workout routines/scheduleI'm doing this because I'm relativly new to weightlifting after losing about 40 pounds of fat and gaining some lean muscle from football. I'm trying to figure out which days of the week I should be doing what and any help would be appreciated.inb4: RAAAGGEEE, Lurkmore, Stronglifts/Ripptoes ect...

>>235941oh wow
>>235920I've never really lifted weights (which is weird cause I was a linemen before I lost weight..natural strenght and size I guess.)My height weight: 5'11/220 (260 before my weightloss and such)I've never squated or done deadlifts (RRRAAGGEE) but the one time I did bench I did 215 1Repmax.I was reading up on Stronglifts and I think I may do that. The only problem is...that program seems like it's a program built to bulk up and I don't REALLY want to jump up in weight without cutting fat (yes I know, muscles burns fat and such) but for some reason I have this thought that by gaining muscle...i'll get huge and not able to get down to a low bodyfat percentage (this theory sounds flawed and most likely is).
monday-sunday: weighted pull-ups
>>235941SHAUN IS THAT YOU?!!?
>>235973lol you started out benching something that most normal people take a few months to get to
>>235998yeah I dunno, my weightlifting friends said it was pretty crazy but i brushed it off cause their pretty small (ecto's trying to gain weight)...I guess I never thought much of it but I guess it's cool that I have a head start.
>>235973if you are new you should do a 5x5 or rippetoes. add in cardio, but i would advise against hiit (OMFG WAT HE SAY) because it takes up a lot of energy that your body needs to rebuild. if you want to start weight training seriously, you need to start by bulking up ( the program looks like it is made for bulking up b/c it is). a good base is essential to building muscle. if you want to lose fat FIRST, without bulking, it is better to do that before you start weight training. this is where i would recommend hiit.
BUMP before going to bed, hopefully some more input will be here by tommorow
