Debatable topic among science community... I think. But how many hours does everyone here normally sleep each night, and include mid-day nappage.

~6, but on a Sunday morning I regularly sleep 'til past 1pm.

8 is the optimum, right?

I get a little bit over seven hours a sleep.

I can't find the link but I read an article on Yahoo today that 6?-7.5 hours is best... 7.5 was maximum I remember.

8+ hours is just as bad as getting 5.5 hours of sleep....

I stay awake for periods of 3 or more days at a time.

I feel best at almost exactly 7 hours of sleep. Any more than 8.5 and I feel really groggy, and obviously any less than 6.5 and I feel tired in the morning.

I get frequently insomnia though, and sometimes I get 4-5 hours and sometimes 14+. Sometimes I go for 18 hours in a row and feel awful afterwards. Longest ever was 26 hours.

Lately, I've been getting 7-8 hours daily. I used to get 10 hours a day a couple years ago, but the workload is getting bigger now.

I need at least 7 to feel okay. 8/9 when I'm training regularly.

Fluctuates with my workouts. Harder workout, more sleep.
