Alternatives to soda Antonymous
My most unhealthy habit nowadays is most likely my soda-drinking. The problem isn't that I'm addicted to the sugar, but that I can't find anything equally satisfactory taste-wise. With food, sweet is just a minority among all the tastes you can enjoy, shouldn't it therefore be some good things to drink that taste good without containing too much/any sugar?

And just in case someone would mention it for some strange reason, I don't trust diet soda.

This may be unrelated, but I am a clean freak. I clean my toilet every week (live in an apartment with 3 other people, 1 toilet). I notice that there are very sticky yellow stains from their urine on the bowl. I always wipe my urine off, but they do not (they are lazy).

My point: They always drink soda. Does their urine have this staining because of that or is it normal? They are relatively thin people, but should I tell them they are headed towards Diabeetus?

Heh. Just think about this: what color it goes in, and what color it goes out? where do you think all that yummy black thing stays at?

And they might be as well as on the path to deeabeetus, but most likely, to one of kidney failure/uric acid stones. So, is gonna be wonderul for them if they happen to have a thing for tubes shoved down their urethra.

If you piss strong sticky yellow, you're not drinking enough water... caffeine is a diuretic, although I'm not sure how much caffeine needs to be added to a quart of coke to dry out a quart of liquid...

sweet == energy and this is a primary motivator. same reason fat tastes good.

you're addicted to the comforting insulin rush. you'll get over it if you give it up.
