also, the majority of muscles in the core of the body are in fact posture muscles that recover very quickly as you have heard. but the abdominals are too large a muscle group for a fast recovery to be possible.
i would recomend sticking to to 2 or 3 ab training sessions a week.
on a related note, revealing a six pack has more to do with body fat % than it does with abdominal development
