So, you want to lose fat? Stop making threads with us answering you the same way every single time. I'm making this topic to be really simple, because losing fat is simple.

The key to losing fat is basically, lower your calorie intake to under what your metabolism burns regularly, and do cardio exercises. To figure out how much your body loses, check this site out and fill it out: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/. About a month ago, it said my body burned 1992.1 calories. Note, it does over estimate sometimes for overweight people. Anyway, I reduced my calorie intake by 650 calories in early February, and guess what? I've lost 28 lb since (from 196-168). As for exercises, a fatass should tend to use low impact cardio stuff. I am fat myself, and I use my treadmill to walk for at least 60 minutes (at 3.5 mph, which is ideal for fat people that don't want knee pain forever). You may want to use an elliptical (I'd use one myself if I owned one or could go to the gym) or do biking (this one doesn't burn as fast, so I'd just go with the treadmill or elliptical). Always remember to read the labels on anything you eat, use www.calorie-count.com for stuff, buy a weight thing for food, and buy measuring cups. Stop eating out, and stop drinking coke. It's all it takes.

someone sticky this

srsly

Cutting too many calories fucks with your metabolism.
You still have to eat the right foods.
You can do better OP

Threads that are based on FAQs, weight loss or gain advice should be archived and all linked to a sticky on the main page.

well, everybody's body is different. He's above the starvation mode, and he may just be a short guy too. plus he's losing weight at a pretty good rate.

they sticky some stupid progression thread that is literally never updated, but don't sticky something that is asked like 20 times a day that would actually do this board some good?

god damn it.

if something is to be stickied it should answer more than this.

or at least be more detailed..

I completely agree with the op here.
I worry however, that if this is stickied.. some moron on 4cahn will take it overboard and die.
perhaps this isn't a bad thing.

How overboard could someone take it? Shedding off 500-650 calories a day will do nothing, especially for the average fatass. He also provides the basic good tips for cardio.

Ok so I did my BMR thing and it says i burn 1532.05. Taking off 500 calories seems much cause that would leave only a little over 1000 cal. What would be the best amount to eat daily without starving myself?.

I'm 5'5 shorty by the way

You should eat ~1500 a day. Combined with cardio/weightlifting, 1000 would be nearing anorexia levels.
One of the other chan's has an excellent sticky in their /fit/ board...

I cut mah calories down to 500-800 per day. Lost over 20kg, didnt experience any muscle wasteage, did little exercise. Didnt do me any harm personally, I doubt I went into "starvation mode" as I actually lost the weight, maybe thats just me
