Well, some of these people may have yo-yo'd so much that they ended up just staying fat instead of putting their body through that torture every year. I think the overall message here is that SOME of these people have lost all of their motivation and assume they're doomed to be fat, so they figure they should make the best of it and accept their bodies, hoping other people will stop discriminating against them for it.
I mean, I don't have any problem with anyone based on their body, the only thing that irks me is that a lot of fat people have given up totally and start saying shit like "I'm just genetically fat". It really has nothing to do with the fact they're fat for me, it has to do with the fact they're trying to mask their low will power with excuses. I'd be just as frustrated with a "recovering alcoholic" who I repeatedly caught sneaking in drinks when he/she thought was nobody was looking. I know these are difficult things to conquer, but you have zero chance to win the battle if you don't believe in yourself at all.
Basically, I'd support anyone trying to lose weight, stop drinking, quit smoking, etc., but when it's clear to them that they HAVE support and still don't try, it's like a slap in YOUR face.
