Any joggers on?
I've recently started again, doing around 4miles at a time... How much do you run daily/weekly?
Also anyone waking up early to run?

I like to run.

I'm not very healthy physically, so I decided to start jogging daily, I can run at least 2km (around 1.25 mile's) every day, the max is 2.5 km,though I had to stop once for like 15 seconds.

I used to practice endurance (21 km) but then it got too painful because of my fucked up back. Now I run for an hour, 2-3 times a week, and do some speed sets afterwards.

And how fit are you, other than the back problem?

My precious calories won't be wasted on running.

I don't know; my leg muscles are quite developed, and I'm now trying to balance the rest of my body with weight training. I guess I don't get tired very easily nowadays and that's probably a result of the cardio training. I used to be relatively fat (85kg) and I dropped to my current weight (65kg) with running and diet.

I don't run but starting from tomorrow I'm going to try and run 3 miles every day, including weight training and pullups/pushups.

Main reason is.. I'm joining the army and I have my fitness is approx 3 weeks.

Any tips?

When my friend came back from the army he took me out on a 4 mile run and after my calves would be exactly the same for nearly a week.

Best thing to do is either relax or run more.

Running more would help the muscle to expand

The worst part is starting out. Once you're ten minutes in or so, it gets easier. I used to do 3 miles starting at 5:15 in the morning and 3 miles at night for some reason. Now, if I can make myself, I'll generally do 4 miles at the track, or run around town for 30 minutes.

When do you think is the best time to run (for your body), early morning, midday, night?

I try to do 3 miles every other day. trying to get in shape. is 9:00-9:30 early enough for ya?

when i used to jog i did about 3.6km + some walking to the track warmup (live about 5-8 min away from the track so it had to do). Allways did stretching for about 10-15 min befor i even left the hous thou, or i wouldnt be able to walk for a week hehe.

But it sure worked miricals on burning fat, thinking about starting up again when i stumbeled over this thread, hoping for some more motivation.

I jog at night, every other day, always 2 - 4 miles. I don't like the sun. Makes it too hot.

Don't run again until they stop feeling sore, and the next time you run, make sure you stretch really well at least after running.. some people say not to do it before, I like to. You're either feeling DOMS or not stretching well, or both.

To the op: I weigh 300+ pounds, so I can't jog for the entirety of the 40 minutes I do it, but I jog for as much as I can, then rest at a swift walking pace until I'm ready to jog again. I do it every day that it's not raining out. I think it might be around 2.5 to 3 miles total. I'm so determined to be able to jog for the whole thing, but I don't think it's going to happen until I drop some weight.

I run about three and a half miles three or four times a week. I usually go in the afternoon or at night.
