If u are extremely skinny and have a hard time gettin any kind of mass, then maybe a gainer.
Or if a good protein-source are hard to find/expensive u could use a supplement.

My goal isn't to gain weight, it's to fucking lose weight. I need to get rid of another 20 lbs while maintaining as much of my muscle mass as I can. Hence the high protein and lots of cardio.

I just generally dont eat that many carb based foods anymore, though a few days a week it will rise to 120g or so.

2 protein shakes - 40g carbs total. The rest comes from vegetables & small amount of carbs i allow myself in the morning. Read Tom Venuto, i dont know if he states it in his book, but he stated on his website he never goes above 100g carbs a day.
