Cyclist-fag here. Two years ago I started stretching after my rides instead of before. For me the result has been much better flexibility since the switch-- probably something to do with my muscles already being nicely warmed up.

yeah like leg swings and shit, i find that just simply doing the lift with no weight warms me up for the actual lift
