Alright. Heres the deal. Im a fatty. There is no other way about it. I dont like the way I look, and Im tired of being overweight and out of shape. I need some advice, can anyone give me some information on what to do to help me.

Eat better food. Eat less of the better food. Learn to excersize. That's the bare bones of it. Someone else will explain fuller, I'm sure.

Also, good luck. The first few months of weight loss are very difficult as you adjust to your new diet, but it gets easier when your body adapts. And your body will thank you for it, so never ever give up.

OP here.

I work at a fast food resturant. Ive been walking to and from work every day im scheduled for the past 4 months. I dont eat many times a day, but when I do i eat alot. Also at the resturant I work at I get free soft drinks, I cant resist. Sometimes Ill drink maybe 10 in the few hours im there. I know its bad for me but I cant help myself.

In my garage I got a 100lb heavy bag and some gloves, my dad used to use. also i got some dumbells ranging from 5-50 lbs ea (2x each one).

Don't worry about weight training for now, just do cardio, do it alot. Until you get around 200 lbs, start weight training. Eat healthier, stop eating at mcdonals or other fast food places. And if you shop for your own food, don't buy the unhealthy stuff. The temptation isn't there unless you buy it.

Yeah you really really need to lay off the soda. Drink the diet versions. Don't think the fruit juices or whatever the hell else they have at the fountain is better, either- that Minute Maid Lemonade or Ice Tea or whatever else they have has pretty much the same calories as a Coke.

Write down all the food you eat for a week, then objectively look at it and see what you can stop eating or replace. For instance, instead of eating French fries, you could at least try to just eat a baked potato. (Try not to drown it in butter though.)
Also, when you order an entree at a restaurant or whatever, try eating only half. Eat the rest later if you're completely fucking hungry or something.

Start with some light cardio until you get under 200 lbs. Keep up walking to work, but add another 15 minutes or so everyday. When you're under 200 lbs start looking into HIIT and weight training.

It'll take a while but slow and steady. You probably took 20 years to get that fat, so it won't be so bad to take 2 years to get fit. Don't kill yourself if you forget a day or eat a donut, just stick with it. Good luck.

OP DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS FUCKING TOOL.... jesus. Lifting+Cardio+Diet=The BEST way to lose FAT quickly. Lifting weights makes you burn calories throughout your day because it adds lean tissue to your body which boosts your metabolism.

Cardio does the same thing. Also, just having muscles doesn't boost your metabolism when you aren't working out, it just means you have a higher calorie requirement to maintain body size.

Go run five miles a day and you'll be thin in like two months. Run and lift and you'll have larger muscles. Doing either of these will result in burned fat.

So uh, thanks for the help from everyone who offered it.

I worked today and I only had one DIET soda. If i was thirst any other time I had water. I felt alot better at the end of my shift than any other day.

Also I started a blog (i know its lame) about losing weight, to try and keep me motivated. (http://gun-fat.blogspot.com/) if anyone cares to read.

You are doing it wrong. You need to EAT LESS, MORE OFTEN! Spread out your feeding to keep your metab. stable and high.

Also, do mix in weight lifting right away, but EASE INTO IT! Getting over-excited and either injuring yourself or getting an overly fierce case of delayed-onset muscle soreness can totally kill your drive to keep it up.

Focus on cardio for now, but do start resistance training with high reps, low weight (aim for like 20 rep maxouts rather than the typical 8 to 12). Also, keep set times to workout so you have a routine, but keep your workouts varied so you don't get bored with them.

Gather up your unhealthy food packaging as you use it up, poop into them and replace them in your normal spots.

When you return to your usual unhealthy products, you will be shocked and disgusted, helping to establish some operant conditioning.

Also, when you are closing at your job and you remove the soda nozzles to soak overnight / get cleaned, add a spritz of your urine to the bucket so you have a mental deterrent from consuming anything that passes thru the nozzles.

It takes dedication, but I believe you can do it OP.

I'll agree, eating less more often on its own WON'T magically make you lose weight, BUT it will keep your available energy levels high so you can attack your workouts without and dragging-ass or drained feeling. It keeps your digestion system healthier too with smaller more frequent bowl movements and better vitamin absorption.

think baout my situation: I'm a fatty, but I'm slim. I'm 6'4" and weigh about 260.

funny thing is, no one believes me when i tell them. they think I'm pushing 220, if i'm bloated.

anyway, i work at a museum for kids, and i just make time on my shifts to do things. like, we have a HUGE jungle gym about 50 feet high. whats cool about it is that if you're an adult, it's A LOT harder than if youre a kid because you must crawl, and dive, and climb more than originally. i climb it when we both open and close.

second any time i have an area with ropes near my head, i'll lean my whole body out when there are no kids around and do pull ups.. as many reps as i can take.

excercising isn't hard, and it doesnt have to be time consuming, just do it when possible.

as far as eating, try to carry something with you. I carry peanuts. i shit you not, I'm unsure if thats healthy, buti eat a few if i feel hungry and i eat a normal sanwich and water for lunch.
just make changes wherever possible.

I wouldn't run until you get down to around 200lbs...it really stresses your joints to do high impact cardio when you're that heavy.

Try the bike, elliptical, or a rowing machine first if you want to do something besides just walking.

You defiantly want to strength train as well. You can do a lot with dumbells assuming you have a bench. Just google it.

Peanuts are good for you assuming you don't get the heavily salted ones. They're high in monounsaturated fats which have been shown to reduce overall body fat and fill you up pretty quick.
