dear /fit/
does anon have any ideas of an actually working way of stretch mark removal? i started getting them when i was 13, i was never near fat. at the time i started getting them i was really thin, they are really horrible... picture isn't me but my thighs look a lot worse... i'm 19 now, i thought about getting them removed using laser in a beauty clinic of sorts. but it costs a lot of money and i don't know if it'll work so... any ideas? please...

you cant. They are scars, just have to wait for them to faid. Or you can get surgery to remove them.

did you grow rapidly, or fill out (after being skinny)?. If so then that'll be why

umm well i guess that's normal if you're a girl. i haven't seen a girl without stretch marks on her ass in rl so i think that's just normal.

well i did go to "normal" after being skinny. but all of them appeared before that, my doctor said it might be because of stress and too much cortisol produced by my body because of the stress. but i don't really care what's the cause, it just pisses me off to see my FAT friends who wear SHORTS or two piece swimming suits and don't have one little stretch mark. i just want to get rid of them...

I did research on this for a med school project.

The only way to NATURALLY make them go away is exercise and if possible, work on the areas where the stretch marks are, in that case, theyre scars and theyll eventually go away, but if you make the skin stretch by doing exercise, the process is accelerated and in less than 4 years, they can be completeley gone.

i'm kinda scared of doing stretch excercises, i was worried more stretch marks would appear. but if you say it actually helps i might give it a try. thanks everyone

op here, i'm not so sure about this either, but might give it a try, since i don't think anything, except for burning my skin or spilling acid on my thighs, would make them look worse.

yes, but it doesnt have to be like everyday, remember that your skin is scarred because there was a sudden growth, so the exercise should be moderate but unless you want to pay for surgeries or wait it out, id suggest you start with simple exercises... plus its good for you.

well, yes, the skin is, in a way, "torn", because of a fast growth to surface area rate, but with exercise, the body gradually and steadily decreases or increases size, thus, the skin "gets used" to the muscle and the stretch marks go away.
