This sucks, For the past week or two I've been itching. A lot. One of my old roommates started itching and she didn't know what it was, she just took benedryl. Now a few days after she said she was itching and didn't know why, I started to itch. I think it started on the upper part of my arms, then my back. Now my shoulders, arms, face, head, lower back, and some parts of my legs are itching. The past few nights the itching has become pretty intense and I'm unable to sleep. I've noticed one or two little bumps (skin color, not red or anything) every once in a while that seems to be the source of the itch. My mom says it's scabies but I'm not too sure on what exactly it is.
Has anyone here have or had scabies before? Is there a cheap way to get rid of the itch?

it doesn't sound like scabies to me,

I've had scabies before and it always sticks to the hands (in particular the skin between the index finger and thumb) and crotch region, you can get a lotion that you apply everyday and within a week or two it's gone, and before you get off the stuff you need to do a mass clean of your clothes/sheets to prevent contamination after you get off the stuff.

if it is scabies, I'd see a doctor straight away, it doesn't go away on it's own, and it's easy to apply lotion to get rid of it.
