I just started up my jogging routine again. I ran yesterday and now my quads hurt like hell whenever i sit down/stand up

Is there any way to make my muscles not hurt so much after a run? I mean I stretch, but should I stretch more?

I know what you mean about the stretching, and yeah you probably thought that going a step further than the usual straining might cause some damage but it wont.

Your quads hurt cause of antacids there's nothing you can do, without some pills. Also how you run makes a huge difference in the amount of force being put on your legs, causing stuff worse than sores.

I can also give you a handjob

real advice, on /fat/ who would have thought.

I know not to over-stretch, but I was thinking maybe just stretching for longer periods of time.

I thought it was ACID that built up in your muscles, lactic or something like that (I'm a male, why would I milk?)

also, only if I can give you one.

anyway thought id drop some knowledge on you ignorant beotches

DOMS is not caused by lactic acid - its cause is unknown although linked with microtears in muscle fiber after exercise

and OP, dont stretch before you run, thats a great way to injure yourself. Also the old mantra about warming up before exercise to prevent injury is bullshit - go on pubmed and investigate if you think im full of it

Christ, you just started running and now you're bawwwing about your legs hurting? Of course your legs are going to be sore, especially since you're probably doing the amount you did when you used to jog frequently which is too much for you now. Just jog more and your muscles will adapt to the frequent stress.

Keep doing it and you'll stop feeling so sore afterwards.
