What does /fit/ think of Gelatin?Good energy source?Too much sugar?Or just disgusting?
It's about 95% protein but not a good way most of it is incomplete and lacks amino acids. should eat only sometimes.http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-C00001-01c21QO.html
so is it a good post workout protein source?
...there's no sugar in gelatin, that's added in for flavor
>>53681Not anyway near as quick absorbing as Egg whites or whey.
egg whites it is then, as usual, and tuna too FTW =D
>>53865No. Neither of those. Whey only.
>>53868i'm not rich ;)anyway, whey is for fags.tuna, eggs and beans is the way to go!Suplements DO NOT substitute real food!!!
>>53909Supplements aren't meant to replace real food. They're meant to "supplement" it.Also, if you look hard enough, you can find whey protein that's cheaper per gram than eggs. The whey protein I get is roughly $.02/gram protein ($15 for a 750 gram supply), while a 18-count carton of eggs is roughly $.03/gram protein (6g protein per egg (108g total), $3.25/carton).
>>53909You are one giant fag. I can get a 10 pound supply of whey powder for 75 bucks, it has good flavor and a great protein profile. Whole foods may be better, but that doesn't mean you have to avoid supplements like the fucking plague. It's not an either/or situation. GTFO my /fit/
>>53941>I can get a 10 pound supply of whey powder for 75 bucks>10 pound supply...75 bucks.>75 bucks.See that's the point, you're actually a big enough faggot to be willing to spend 75 dollars on a big jug of powdery shit as opposed to just eating a balanced diet with regular work outs for a lot cheaper.Faggot.
>>53937That's 2 pounds of whey, btw. It also includes a "Super Recovery Blend" (creatine monohydrate, taurine, L-Glutamine, Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine) so it's a greater value than even I thought.
>>53909tuna eggs and beans won't deliever protein as fast as whey for your post-workout.also whey may be a supplement but it's also natural. get educated douche
>>539440/10
Sugar free snack packs FTW
>>53941>>53944=P wow lol love being flammedMay be cheap there, but it's not where i live. It's actually pretty expensive. I know its absorbed faster, and i've taken whey in the past as i took CLA, creatine and glutamine, but when you start living on your own (at least in europe where the EURO coin fucks up everything) you value your money more. It's waaaaaaay cheaper to buy tuna, eggs, skim milk as protein sources.
>>54108But in terms of efficiency, and bang for your buck...
