So /fit/, I've been working out, exercising, and eating right for about a month and a half. But I'm having problems maintaining my weight loss.
I roughly exercise about 2-4 hours a day (swimming, aerobics, yoga, and strength training) and I only eat about 700 - 1,000 caleries a day.
Sometimes I gain 3lbs which linger for a day or two and then lose it all again - is this normal? Is there any foods I should be avoiding?
Also, anyone have any recommendations for upper body exercise (besides weight lifting)?
Thanks in advance.

you're not eating enough, by a long, long way. every time you eat your body takes every single calorie and tries to store it since you're starving the shit out of it.

how often do you have bowel motions?

1-2 times a day.
However, at this moment I haven't gone since Thursday morning.
Although you didn't ask, I will also add that I've been peeing about 6-10 times a day.

man, 280? it's great that you're doing something about your weight, but you must be straight up starving yourself man.

go online and read some decent nutrition guides for trying to lose weight - your body is definitely in starvation mode and is refusing to give up weight at a sustainable rate.

i started at 260 two and a half months ago, and i've got 35 pounds so far just from reducing the amount of food i was eating in half, and exercising for an hour and a half each day.

Thanks. I've lost 30lbs so far - it was 33, but like I said 3 came back (which always seems to happen on the weekends, seems weird to me).
The funny thing is, I don't feel like I'm starving - I'm actually quite full after my meals.
However, my stomach has been aching since last night - not starvation pains, more like I'm over stuffed even though I know I didn't eat that much (or anything) that would make me feel this way.

I'll look for a good nutrition guide.

Congratulations on the weight loss.

Welcome.
& Thanks.

The exercising and eating better is the easy part - dealing with my friends is the hard way (especially sitting back and watching them each hork down a large pizza in one sitting - pretty gross).
