sup /fit/,

is running that bad of a high impact thing to do?

my tmj specialist advises against running since it is high impact, and over the past half a year I have done very minimal running outside, mainly just indoor machines and lifting heavy ass weights

but now i really feel the need to be outside and run and I enjoy it, but after, and I mean like the next 2-3 days i feel god fucking awful pain wise, is it possible running so high impact that this could be the cause or could it be something else?

also I know /fit/ isn't composed of qualified doctors that know everything about my situation, just want to hear some opinions

This is why I am a hiker.

Not with well-selected running shoes it's not. But you need to describe how fat you are and what kind of pain you're getting. Also what kind of terrain are you running on?

I'm 163 lbs now down from 200+ where I was half a year ago, and my pain is just increased pain from what I have on a daily basis, and while it's chronic pain regularly it is still manageable and not completely detrimental and fuckawful, but the past few days it has been that bad

also running outside on the road

oh and the pain is facial pretty much, I guess my facial muscles tense up alot when you are outside sprinting

well, the best advice i can give u is try running on soft surfaces (grass, sand, loose packed dirt trails, ect)
