Hi /fit/ I'm a bit chubby. I know I should do some cardio, but instead of that, I'm doing weight lifting (13.2 ~ 17 lbs dumbbells) because the person I'm running with is not ok right now (he is my motivation).

I'm eating a bit less since I started with this, I was 152.5 lbs, but now I am 146.3 lbs (2 weeks of work more or less).

1. Wasn't I suppose to gain weight because of muscles ?
2. Am I losing muscles because I'm not eating enough ?
3. Am I losing fat because of the exercise ?

that picture will be me in 3 weeks from now don't worry

You're female I presume?

If you want muscle, get bigger dumbbells.

If you are working out and you are eating enough, then yes. You are losing muscles.

If you're starving yourself then you are losing fat and muscles.

Fuck... I'm male :\

I can't lift bigger dumbbells (17 lbs each, my left arm have difficulties even with 13 lbs)

I don't want to get more fat

I want to gain less muscles than fat if that means I don't have to eat a lot more and do cardio at the moment

I eat oatz for breakfast, oatz + full milk
Lunch is regular food, no more chips, soda, etc
Dinner is light food, maybe fish, chicken hamburguer, no cheese, no pizzas...

My workout is pretty simple, at the moment I am doing:

Mondays: Back, Biceps, Abs
Tuesday: Chest, Triceps
Wednesday: Legs, Shoulderss, Abs
Thursday: Monday, except Abs
Friday: Tuesday, plus Abs
Saturday: Wednesday, except Abs
Sunday: Rest

Every day I do like 2 types of exercises per muscle, 4 sets of 10 reps, and the weights, as I stated before, are from 13.2 since my left arm can't even lift that to 17, which I tried on my back doing rows because 13.2 was few.

You are quite clearly losing fat, not muscles.

If you're obese like you say you are, just concentrate on losing the fat. Lower weights and more reps.

Only fit people need to worry about lifting heavier weights.

The funny thing is, when I was like 153 lbs, I could see my ribs, but now I can't see them like I did before and my gut is slightly smaller.

So I think I'm not fat, but out of shape or whatever, I can catch my skin from everywhere, like if some parts were jelly (but not in a really fat way).

not enough info on what I requested. you also need to state what your goal is, but as for you your head needs to get straightened out first.

MUSCLE GAIN = 30 WORKOUT + 40 NUTRITION + 30 REST

that depends on who you talk to. it varies depending on their experience and education, but not too varying.

it sounds like you want to lose some body fat. RUN and RUN and RUN and take control of your calorie intakes. make sure you get enough protein. fuck your running mate. he doesn't lose the shit for you. if he can't, run by yourself.

oh yeahhhh LURK MORE

Can I run right before I eat dinner, shower and go to sleep ? Or is it the same as weight lifting, where I have to leave 2~3 hours between the end of it and going to bed ?

Leave 2-3 hours between when you eat and when you sleep. Otherwise it just gets turned into fat.
