Yea didn't take pictures of my steaks. I am trying to bulk up. Exerciseconsists of cardio focus on legs light weight repetitions for endurance and the next day heavy lifting with the 3rd day being a break. I started working out 6 months ago. Was 190 pounds, down down to 165 and trying to bulp up in muscle.

one of the healthiest ways to eat in the world is the Zone diet or the Mediterranean diet. in the zone there's things are eaten in proportions. "The Zone is a diet that contains no more than 30% of calories from fat, the amount of protein ranges from 25% to 35%, and the amount of carbohydrates would be between 35% and 45%."

you need proportionally more carbohydrates for your energy sources, as is so eloquently put by
>>311966
Believe me you'll feel better. and this of course means healthy carbohydrates, not crap candy bars or whatever.

Cooked too much. Rare would have been better.

How about the red meat claim? Is it really better to eat it rare to medium rare?
>> Anonymous
>>311997
It's a taste preference. Really you should put it something more like medium. Cooked too much is bleh, cooked too little is harder to process.
>> andrew/howard
i'd have to taste it

How about mysalad: in the first picture there was dressing but I discontinuted it:
1 full tomato
Half cucumber
quarter onion
2 garlic pieces
quarter avocado

ur salad's alright but needs to be bigger. since i presume that's all u can eat then have a smaller portion meat to compensate. converting all that excessive protein all the time ain't good.

kill the white flour pasta if possible. replace with better pasta and see if u still like it. here's my breakfast when i bother to add flavors.

well now that u discont'd that sauce which drenched the salad that is. use cold olive oil with sea salt, pepper, kelp flakes ( looks like fish food ). tasty and no one disputes unheated olive oil health benefits, and the tasty kelp or other some seaweed flakes adhere.

protip: for salads, use lemon juice for dressing

here's a recent one. It doesn't have the crappy iceberg lettuce. I usually eat that whole box of blueberries every morning (a pint). I eat eggs once a week, I try to cycle in fish and other meats also.

how much protein can the body break down at once? I eat 20-30g of protein every meal, but is it alright if I eat more? Like, 50g+ per meal? What about 30-50g?
>> Anonymous
Fuck how do you guys eat that much? I cant swallow any more after a certain point.
>> Anonymous
>>312195
1g protein per 1kg body weight. Or highly abbreviated is 1g/kg. This rate naturally varies for weightlifters and bodybuilders, they need to maintain more muscle mass, and muscle is protein. What u do is multiply this by ( i.e. 0.8 ) some decimal number if you're a sedentary ass, ( i.e. 1.2 ) if you exercise. I don't really know the breakdown. but 1.8 times has got to be the absolute extreme.

roughly the range is above the RDA's recommendation of 0.8 g/kg to 1.2-1.8 g/kg. because the RDA is designed for 100% of the US population, but how many of them are fat fucks who don't work out? i'd say multiply a little higher than RDA but make sure to keep the proportions balanced

oh and if you're female you must multiply by an additional modifier 0.8 -- for only women.

I know that man, but I mean, if you're right there having you're meal, and it's got like 60g of protein, will your body be able to absorb and use all that or will it just piss out most of it? My question is, is there a limit on how much protein the body can handle at one time in one meal?
>> Anonymous
I almost puked when i saw all that dressing on the salad

>is there a limit on how much protein the body can handle at one time in one meal
No. It just takes a long time to digest it.

sorry to make you repeat yourself, I don't rightly know. many non-weight lifting people usually have 50-60 g protein for their entire day, what about your other meals, are they all like that ? I can never eat 3-6 meals like that. that seems insane.

i'm 5'6 145lbs weightlifting 2x week for an hour, no cardio. I know it's bad. i hate running. my point is to illustrate my own protein needs. here's the total protein grams I've eaten for the past six days

sun 80, sat 77, 94, 142, 157, 111
on the two biggest days it fell like it was too much but i was lazy and had no other food handy

alright good luck I'm going to sleep now.

I guess if you are trying to bulk then your meals are ok.. But it's hardly what I would consider eating clean. I would suggest moar chicken breasts grilled with brown rice.

Unhealthy and fattening, but fucking delicious looking.

Bail pasta, red meat, and goopy salad dressing. Instead chicken, turkey, fish, skip carbs at except for oatmeal in the morning and the ones you get from veggies, and only balsamic on your salads.
