Not such a nice topic, but indeed health related:
Yesterday i took some painkillers because of a nasty headache. But since then I'm shaking, and throwing up if I try to eat even a little. My parents used to tell me that you need to drink loads of coke in these situations.. What does /fit/ recommend to get back on my feet ?
Also: No alcohol was involved, it's weird.

coke is good. whip out the carbonation though.

it's got simple sugars that can be absorbed in your stomach so the bowels won't be irritated by it, and it's got caffeine which should help with any headache.

i dont know how painkillers would make you like this though, you should research the brand extensively for side-effects from sensitivities, allergies, synergies etc etc.

possibly you got the headache from another condition that is now causing you to vomit, and the painkillers have nothing to do with it.

Coke? wtf? you need to hydrate bro, drink water and start eating again as soon as you feel healthy enough. I suppose you can drink coke if you feel like it since it has some nutrition in it, but drink atleast two litres of water a day, stay warm and get lots of sleep. Remember that taking pills only removes the symptom, and not the sickness.

Im guessing(!) you have food-poisoning, uncooked meat or eating without washing your hand might have caused it.
