Sup mis/fit/s,

Any other lifters feel their joints getting banged up? I make it a point to lift with perfect form, yet my knees, left elbow, and wrists are always cracking now, and they'll feel tender the day after a workout. Usually the tenderness goes away after a rest day. Also, ever since the weather started turning cold all my joints are aching more and more.

Is this normal?

It's not. Think of it like sore muscles, except in your joints. Goes away completely after week or two.

Except it doesn't hurt like muscle does. Feels like scraping or some shit. I've already reached 400 single squat so now I'm just going to work on endurance and speed.

Try some joint supplement like Animal Flex

dude, not everyonei s made to do heavy lifting. it's a fact of life. no matter how slowy ou take it, what precaustions you take, or what supplements you use, you're body might just not be made for lifting that intense.

It's like anything else, sometimes you're just not made for it. You can study as hard as a Harvard Law student but you might never be as smart as them . You can practice music for 12 hours a day but you might never have the ear or sensitivity to music that Yo Yo Ma has.

Really examine yourself and see if you're body is capable of carrying on with this type of shit man, if not, then just take it easy and go lighter and change up your routine.

No time for self-turmoil, to busy SQUATZING

Every once in a while after heaving squatting, deadlifting, etc, my knees feel like they're 'crunching' and grinding. I think it has something to do with my jumper's knees I got from wrestling in high school. The patellar tendons get sore sometimes, and when they do that I guess they're not taking the full load, and causes the rest of the knee joint to take on more stress than it should.

Usually icing them solves the problem.

its not self turmoil, its simply understanding what you're capable of and being realistic. I'd be stupid of me to say "well all i have to do is study and i can become a physics professor, right?"

I disagree. I studied my ass off for high school physics and still only got an average mark. Some people are just more capable than others.

Haha as if its completely easy. Do you have any idea how many people try to excel in their field and how many actually make it? Not everybody has it in them to be professors - how many times have you done well in a test without studying? I've done it many times, and I bet you have too. But not everyone are able to. They simply aren't clever enough!

Likewise with lifting weights. It took me a couple months of training before I was deadlifting 100kg for reps. But my friend, who just started, was able to without any training. Some people are just stronger!

Perhaps the material was not presented well, or you could have used more practice.

Yes, been lifting for a year now and my left knee got a lot worse. Popping and noise, bad feeling.
I'm staying away from the really heavy stuff in the future.

No one said anything about it being easy

no but hey're saying all it atkes is studying. That's just not so. You can't just study and pay attention and "just become a professor" like its something fucking easy. I cant even argue it, its so simple but only idiots who have noclue what they are talking about try to make it seem like its simply a matter of studying.

maybe for a communication or business degree, but not physics.

lol yeah, its that easy dude. "just study for about 12 years and you can maybe become a prof if you tried!"

you know nothing about education and what it takes to get a PhD if you think its a matter of just sticking to your guns and studying hard lol
