Hey /fit/ this is my first time not lurking around here. Pic related, but its not me.

I'm a small 4'11 female weighing 95lbs. Lately I've had a lot of stress and have developed dark red stretch marks from my hip wrapping around my inner thigh. I thought you only got stretch marks from pregnancy or being a fatass.

Ive looked up a lot of sites that promise bullshit miracle cures from their oils, but I doubt that would work. Is there anything I can do that doesn't include expensive laser treatment?

Mederma or other scar-treatment creams work pretty well. You just have to use them religiously for about 3 months which is a pain. But probably worth it.

I guess it doesnt help that I don't tan whatsoever, any sun or booth makes me burn. Red striae + pale body is severe lose.

I'll try out a scar treatment cream though, thanks anon.

Also try exfoliating the affected areas A LOT (like maybe twice a week). This removes some skin cells off the top, which will stimulate more collagen production in the affected area.

Also, since your stretch marks are fairly new, you could probably benefit substantially from Retin-A. You'll need a prescription for this.

And about the laser treatments. To be honest, they are way more effective on new stretch marks. If there is ANY WAY you can afford doing laser treatments, DO IT. Believe me, if you can get rid of these things while they're still new (or at least improve them to the point where they are almost unnoticeable) it will be so worth it.

By the way, many laser treatment places accept Care Credit. It's a credit card with no interest rate for the first year, to be used only for medical procedures. This might be an option for you, if you decided you wanted to do this but pay it off a little at a time.
