What supplements are good? What vitamins, trace elements and other stuff are difficulty to obtain in sufficient amounts from food.

I had problems with muscle spasms in my calves and was tired all day and a friend recommend me to take magnesium and vitamin supplements. Now I feel much better and the muscle spasms are gone.
Now I'm curios if there is other stuff that's good for me.

Placeboxin is great. You can get it from your local chiropractor.

Seriously though, just a cheap multi if you're concerned that your diet isn't quite up to snuff. Check the label; unless all of the ingredients have FDA suggested dosages, don't bother because it's stuffed with crap you don't need. Usually the cheapest one on the shelf has everything you need. Get the store brand too because you don't need to pay extra for the same exact thing.

Beyond that you'll just crap out the excess, at least with most vitamins. Some will give you problems, but only with insanely high dosages.

I've found that an omega-3 fish oil supplement helps me keep going while I'm running. (Before:10min treadmill After:15min treadmill)

also, garlic or garlic oil keeps me from getting sick so I'm "up to it" going to the gym every weekday

I heard a lot about omega-3 fish oil, but I'm not sure if it isn't just some shit drug companies made up to sell their shit.

there are lots of independent studies that show a lot of benefits from it. Weight loss and better joints sound good too me.

enough magnesium and no dramatic sugar spikes will pretty much keep the muscle spasms away

Mg is the most deficient mineral in the US diet.

Take a multi otherwise. That's a way to cover most bases. But a good multi will work better. Cheap ones are of lower quality and in lower dosages. ~30 different micronutrients, so many to track... I can't count all of them.
