Why is losing fat such a slow and painful process? Anonymous

And Weightlifting.
And Healthy eating choices.
And eating less than BMR.

3500 calories is one lb of fat loss. need 500 cals per day to lose one lb per week. one lb in itself is not noticeable

In a way I feel jealous of fatties because if they were to do what I do they'd easily drop twenty or thirty pounds, meanwhile I'm killing myself just to shave off five pounds (of fat, I mean)

Because we are wild animals and out bodies were designed to hold onto fat for survival. If we lost weight easily than we wouldn't have survived as a species.

Exercising in itself is a slow and painful process. It's about breaking your muscles and bones and forcing them to heal back again in a stronger condition. The only ones that actually "like" exercise are the kind of masochistic people that enjoy pain and misery, not normal people.
