Hey /fit/, got a question about lunges.

When doing lunges is it better to do them in place, or to walk and do them? I've been walking and doing them and am wondering if I should do a lunge, set myself, and then proceed to the next or if I should go from lunge and transition right into the next lunge leading wth my other leg. I've been transitioning right into the next lunge and it has been kicking my ass but I'm wondering if that is proper form, I get stares from people..but I think most of that is from the fact that I actually work my lower body...

And don't worry I do plenty of SQUATZ also.

I have never heard of anyone "lunging" around the gym. If you're doing weighted lunges, it's probably a dangerous idea. Why do you need to be mobile?

I just decided to try it one day and I found it so much harder to do, had to explode more to transistion into the next step.

Tons of people at my gym do weighted lunges in a straight line and then turn around and go back. The only reason I notice them is that they get in my way =\
