I went through the same thing a few months ago. But, honestly, I don't remember it hurting so bad that I needed to really do anything about it. And here I was an extremely fat tub of lard (330+), doing at least two miles a day. It's possible that I am simply a god in human form, capable of feats of endurance to shame a normal fatty. Or maybe it's because I've had worked at various jobs on my feet since I was 16.
Lasted me about three weeks, maybe a little more, after which I didn't have any sort of significant pain lasting beyond the cardio itself.
For reference, I started at 330 in late February, have just recently broken the 280 mark, am an otherwise inactive male book nerd, and have managed significant improvements since then.
Keep it up! Being able to walk/bike places is convenient. Very much so for me, since Kansas City is full of shitty drivers going 30 over the speed limit, weaving in and out of traffic without a signal.
