am I skinnyfat?
>> Anonymous
no you are just skinny.
Like real skinny.
get muscles.
>> Anonymous
Sammich. You need one. Or over 9000.
>> Anonymous
OP here, I know the one on the left looks skinny, but the full torso looks kind of off, and I used to be fairly overweight. It's hard to see with this shitty webcam, but also my nipples are too big and I've gotta take my shirt off at the beach next week.

>>373416here
In retrospect I suppose if you are a marathoner or something don't get muscles. but you are fucking skinny.

BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND BULK AND CUT AND

AND SQUAT AND EAT SOME FUCKING OATZ.

Dear OP,
You have the most severe self esteem issues I've ever seen in my entire life. That is all.
>> Anonymous
OP here, I don't play sport, I used to run cross country in highschool but then I discovered the joys of smoking. I actually want to build muscle, I've been eating protein shakes for a couple of weeks while using a bench and freeweights. I'm just nervous about putting on any kind of weight (even muscle) because of problems with it in the past. Was planning to lose about another 5lbs over the next couple of weeks then start building muscle. Is it possible to estimate body fat % from these photos? I don't know what 10% or 15% would even look like.
>> Anonymous
>>373442
all you need to know right now is that you are skinny. keep getting protein and working out. Make sure you are eating well, too. You don't need to lose weight before starting to work on getting muscles.
>> Anonymous
not skinnyfat at all, have a good stomach and some muscle, just need to work on your proportions. Need bigger arms and shoulders and back.
>> Anonymous
so this would pass as a normal body at the beach?
>> Anonymous
>>373447
get more self esteem. Be confident in yourself.
This passes as skinny on the beach (anywhere). Skinny is fine.
>> Anonymous
OK, but it's safe to keep losing weight though right? I do want to eventually build muscle, but I'd rather be at about 5% body fat when I start, so that it is easier for me to keep track of exactly how many calories and protein I need each day to gain muscle, without having to worry about losing fat at the same time.
>> Anonymous
gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time is extremely hard
bulk first, then cut
>> Anonymous
>>373456
as you bulk your bodyfat will most likely fluctuate a lot. i'd just go ahead and start bulking now if i were you, your bodyfat looks lower than 10% roughly, get big then cut again to lower the bodyfat so you look ripped.
>> Anonymous
I considered doing that, but wouldn't the muscle deteriorate as well? Maybe my idea of cutting is different, but every time I've lost weight I reduce my calories to 1000/day and any muscle I've gained seems to disappear.
>> Anonymous
>>373459
hard as in, most people can't eat a proper diet? yes. hard as in impossible? no. people have no self control therefore it's hard. i've been losing fat and gaining muscle for a while now. it's not hard at all
>> Anonymous
>>373469
that's because 1000 kcal a day is retarded
>> Anonymous
When you gain mussles you gain a little fat, when you lose fat you lose a little mussles. Bulk then cut.
>> Anonymous
>>373470
1000 calories a day? try 1800 calories if you're 5'10" 180#

not hard at all, i eat 3 big meals a day and i've gone from 175# to 165# and tripled most of my strength and cut so many minutes off my runs and rows
>> Anonymous
>>373468
bulk to a higher weight than you intend to be, then instead of lowering your caloric intake so drastically switch to a buttload of cardio and keep eating or drinking your shakes.
>> Anonymous
>>373473

OP here, I probably should have mentioned my height/weight, it's 6ft1"/143lbs
>> Anonymous
u look skinny guy, its not a good look.
>> Anonymous
I'm jealous of OP, if I weighed that much I would enjoy eating mcdonalds and every other shitty food getting back to normal weight
>> Anonymous
>>373477
jesus.. you're way underweight. i'm still pretty slim and i'm 145lbs at 5'9". start bulking, you're verging on anorexia. do some arnold presses, dips, bench presses and SQUATS
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
>>373477

you do look pretty skinny, i'm skinny for my size as well 6'2" 164-166. but i'm not looking to get any bigger, just trying to cut more body fat % and get more strength
>> Anonymous
>>373536

OP here, you look to have less body fat than me, the extra 20lbs would have to be muscle. Think we also have a different body type as well, you look naturally that skinny, whereas I have no idea what my natural body weight would be if I ate enough to not be hungry
>> Anonymous
>>373545

yeah was naturally skinny, before i started training i was always around 175-178 and eating rubbish for food

been at it for about 6-7 months now (4-5 months of actual training, had a few injuries i had to deal with)

thing is a lot of people tell me i'm a lot bigger even though i lost over 10 pounds, the magic of exercise and eating right

I have a question:

When people say "Get protein" do they mean I should JUST eat chicken breast with nothing else (rice, lettuce) after working out? Or any foodwith high protein values and NOTHING else? Because I enjoy chicken filet + rice. And stake with potatoes etc. etc., you get my point.
>> grarblerarble !4Kd0vVZhMM
>>373571
1. Take potato.
2. Punt potato.
3. Eat chicken (yes, you can have your rice if you really want it. Try to make sure it's brown, because white has little to no fiber.).
4. ????
5. PROFIT!

OP, it sound like you have an eating disorder that no amount of talking on the internet can fix. Please go get some therapy for you body image problems. There is nothing we can do for you if you say you want to lose more weight.
>> Anonymous
>>373579

OP still here. I'll admit that I have a pretty wide range of self esteem problems, more to do with my face than my body though, but I used to be pretty chubby and lived like that for years without even realizing it. Even when people would call me fat I refused to believe it. The funny thing is, the time when I was fat was probably the happiest time of my life.
>> Anonymous
>>373590

Haha, I was the same, tanked these days, but when I was younger 13~ I was chubby as all hell, but happy, REALLY happy and totally ignorant.

Now that i'm fit i've got me a bag of self esteem issues, go figure.
>> Anonymous
OP, you look like you've been on the Auschwitz diet.

Less dust, more burgers.
>> Anonymous
>>373839
im sort of in the same boat.

I was a lardass for most of my life, so whenever people tell me i look good//built/any type of compliment on my body i always think theyre just trying to be nice, even though i KNOW that im not a fatass.

However, i am far happier being un-fat now, than i was being fat back in grade school and junior high.

OP here. Thought this had been deleted. Just wanted to get an estimate of my body fat %, to know how much fat I can afford to lose without falling into an unhealthy % category.
>> Anonymous
>>375133
wtf is wrong with you, you have no muscles thats why you look like crap. You're like a corpse.
>> Anonymous
>>375133

about 10% BF. you can afford to lose another 6lbs before you are driving into anorexia town
>> Anonymous
>>375181

10% seems high to me. What is an athletic looking %? I don't want an average %, considering almost the majority of people these days are overweight.
>> Anonymous
naw, i think about 15%, its not like he has any muscle to offset the BF he already has, much like why marathoners have such high BF%, not alot of fat, just no muscle.

caliper test would be lower, but a proper body displacement test or dexa would show he's probably even higher than 15%
