Hey /fit/ I was wondering if anyone had any advice about losing weight and having excess skin. I was a pretty bad fatty a few months ago, but have really been trying to lose weight. I've been lifting, running, and eating right, and haven't really shown any signs of loose skin, but I'm also still fairly chubby. (went from 330 to 285 in the past 3 months) I'm planning on still losing weight, but will I have a bunch of excess skin or what's the deal? I read somewhere that that skin will go away if given time and you keep excercising, but my friend lost a bunch of weight and got the skin surgically removed, but didn't really give it time to go away. What's the word mis/fit/s?

Picture totally unrelated, just somethign that was on my computer.

Sometimes it tightens up on its own, sometimes it doesn't. You'll really have to talk to a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon to be sure.

Don't lose your weight too quickly. It sounds like you're doing fine, so you shouldn't worry, especially because you've included lifting into your regiment.
As>>14360said, check in with a dermatologist. I wouldn't talk to a cosmetic surgeon unless there was actual skin that needed to be removed.

oh ok, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens, I've been doing a bunch of abs and stuff like that, so its not like i'm losing weight by just not eating. Far from it.
Might talk to a dermatologist, cosmetic surgeons are going to tell me I need surgery cause that's how they make money.
