Hey /fit/ I have a muscular problem:

Earlier last year I had a herniated disc in my lower back and as part of therapy, the back exercises I did strengthened my abdominal and lower back muscles. I had nicely formed abs, etc, and I began to slack in routine unfortunately. Recently I've been trying to get back into working out with weights, but this is difficult to do on some free weights because of my back. So I've been working the same exercises from therapy to help strengthen my core.

The problem is my abs are crooked/uneven/don't look right. I'm not really sure what the problem is, because they actually are hard, just on the left side (picture right), they are larger and wider, not as tight, as the ones on the right (picture left).

I don't understand if I've been doing something wrong in my exercises, and I can't figure out how to work on just one side to see how that will develop. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

By the way, they don't appear in the picture as they do in person for some reason, but this is as detailed as I could get it to help provide a picture.

my apologies for it being sideways.... >.<

the only reason your abs are showing is that..YOURE SKINNY AS FUCK.

you don't have "abs." as far as being fit with plenty muscle mass you have none.

enjoy hitting on 12 year old girls for the rest of your life

It's because of spinal misalignment, probably increased due to the surgery.

There's not really anything you can do about it.

congrats on being a twat, obviously a fat arsehole or meaty steroid muncher.

and with that said, op most peoples abs aren't aligned perfectly, so it's normal

actually it just looks like that, i'm not really that skinny. the abs are showing because of actual development.

there was no surgery, but they were fine a few months ago :/

My apologies, I meant the herniated disc.

The point stands.

yeah.. well thanks for the input!

ok then answer the following questions

1. If you had nicely formed "abs" before how did you get a back back?

2. If you had been working out way before then why did you have a weak core and hence herniated disc?

>PROTIP: You don't have to lift 1 ton plates to be actually "fit." You can be *cough* strong *cough* be actually doing something other than 50 curls and 200 crunches daily

i'm not here to talk about how i was, i wan't to know what kind of exercises i can do now that will help even things out maybe

you guys have just proven that /fit/ is full of fucking idiots.

his abs are uneven because of his genetics.

the linea alba, or ligament that bisects the abdominals into segments follows a layout based on DNA.

sorry, OP there's nothing wrong with your abdominals and there's nothing you can do about it

and yes, your abs show because you are skinny.

no lats, and waist curves in like a womans, the obliques should be "spilling" over the sides of the hip if you had muscle. no this is not the same as faty love handles. its fucking muscle. op is skinny. /thread

again, ok thanks for your input, whatever it may be. how can i work them out and gain that muscle?
>> Anonymous

it's mostly your genetics, dumb fuck (rage etc etc). also they are NOT uneven because there no muscle (abs) there to begin with apart from like a tiny area in them middle you have to gain MORE muscle to make those abs look more protruding/defined etc. so in order get more definition you have to eat more protein and exercise with __full body__ workouts. it includes weights, sports or even plyometrics etc..after that you start to add cardio to cut the fat out infront of the ab muscles

Genetics. Some people have perfectly symmetrical abs, some people have slightly offset abs, and some people's abs look like a fucking loaf of challah bread. Too bad on the disc thing too.

OP, was wondering what back exercises you did?

by training your whole body and getting stronger overall
