every food has protein. The question is the proportion. for example strawberries have a very tiny amount of protein. You would have to eat a whole truck of them to get your daily requirement. usually many foods will have a all three carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. I think plants have like special exception. It's late and I'm tired. Someone else can figure that out.
What happens is usually certain foods will have a predominant macronutrient, and thus will be referred as carb-food, or protein-food, etc.
So beans have lots of carbohydrates, lots of protein, and lots of fiber. I think eggs/milk/soybeans are the most perfectly balanced towards the zone diet, or something like those. Beans and lentils are very good. Have lots of them often.
