I started working out a few days ago from literally nothing. If anything, Its a miracle I haven't been injured yet. Anyway, despite the phenomenal pain, the work out was some how easier today. I happen to have taken ambien just before, and ambien isn't exactly a pain reliever, but it's still a curious effect. Has anyone ever noticed pain killers or psychotropic drugs improve your workouts?

Personally I avoid painkillers for workout pains.
I love the burn and it is good to know when your body is ready to return to working out. Rather than possibly injuring yourself.

You know what, you're right. Next time, I won't do it. I was just curious what other people's experiences are. again, ambien is not a pain killer, its just a sleeping medication. It does, however, make me a bit delirious, which may have made the workout seem easier.

I can't say I love the burn yet, but the contrast between mid-workout and post-workout is euphoric.

nothing like having burning thighs and feeling lightheaded after doing your squats
