So I've decided to get on a cardio plan and diet to drop some fat. I have a huge fear that it wont work though.

I'm six five and two hundred and fifty pounds. I've just started cardio, and I'm starting with walking at a pretty fast pace for three miles. Four days a week. It takes about 45 minutes to complete.

The diet plan is cutting out red meat entirely, eating only health/natural foods. Five small meals per day. I'm drinking lots-o-water.

I dunno, /fit/ I just have this giant feeling this is going to fail immensely. I really want to get rid of this fat, though.

pic awesome, but not related

That feeling is your fatass side. It yells at me, too. Tell it to STFU and keep going. You can do it.

I could really use some help here...am I doing anything wrong? Will I see results with this plan? Halp.

At your weight you should be able to do a little more intensive exercise than just walking. Does the walking keep your heart rate up (around 140+)? Do you sweat?

My recommendation is that you vary your routine a little, 4 days of walking will get old real fast. Every other day, try increasing the pace or switch machines (if you can) to something like an elliptical, because right now your brain will latch on to any excuse to remain a fatty, especially monotony. If it's not fun, you're not going to do it. Consider replacing one day/week to lift weights, increasing muscle mass will pay off high dividends down the road in terms of fat/weight loss.

The diet looks good, just make sure you keep track of what you eat to make sure you're eating enough (and not too much of course).

Good luck.

I did the three miles yesterday and my shirt is still drenched in sweat, so yeah. I'll try switching it up with the elliptical machines. As for heart rate 170 for the first 2 miles. 180+ for the last mile.

I'm pretty sure that you will lose a lot of weight pretty fast, but when "barrier" comes, when you have to work lot harder for losing weight, you must keep your self insirated to keep going on and you will see results.

Cutting out red meat? Tch, weak. You can eat as much as you want as long as you WORK IT OFF.

Do an hour and a half of jogging every morning followed by a half hour of upper body compound exercises.

It's not going to work.

Just put a bullet in your head ASAP you fat fucker.

I'm so sick and tired of these stupid threads made by fat ass wimps.

Yeah, but then what would I do? Work out hungry?

I'd probably end up getting hungry and eating it anyway, or watching TV.
