Hey /fit/, I am a 16 year old male 5'10" and 260 lbs.I am tired of being fat. I have been fat my entire life, and was even born weighing more than the average newborn. I have tried many diets before and none of them have worked, and I uually ended up weighing more then when I began. I am wiling to do anything to shed this life long curse. Many people here seem to be very knowledgeable. Would someone be abe to point me in the right direction as to what types of exercises I should do to burn calories, or foods to eat to help there also. I am mostly sedentary and tend to oer eat which is mostly to blame, regardless, help please.Also, pic unrelated, the only thing I had after my hard drive was wiped.
Much as I hate to say it..Count calories. Don't bother with light stuff; cook for yourself and add lots of vegetables. Eat three meals a day. Go to the gym; or walk for at least an hour a day. DRINK ENOUGH WATER.
>>244466Count caloriesYes. To lose weight, BURN MORE CALORIES THAN YOU TAKE IN. That's it. Calculate the amount of calories your body needs a day, and cut it by 500. As for exercises, Stronglifts 5x5 and HIIT (I like Tabata).
OP here, thanks for the advice. Are there any tricks to accelerate weight loss, like certain foods or exercise?
Nope. Just put in less than you get out. Muscle burns fat faster than anything else, though.
Not OP, but I'm trying Pilates, and I'll like to ask, what do this form of exercise focus on and how effective is it?
