I've got a problem with my diet /fit/. I'm eating around 1200-1500 calories a day, but most of my calories come from carbs, (More than 50%) and about 25% or less of my calories a day are from protein, (Which means the rest is fat.)
I think this is slowing down my weight loss, and I'd like to get some tone and muscle too, but I'm not really getting that. At all.
But I'm doing mostly cardio so that might be way. Anyway, still.

That is almost a perfect generic macro nutrient ratio.

If you don't feel like it is giving the best results, you can slowly transfer carbs to proteins.

However, if muscle and tone is what you want, you'll have to have a good weight lifting regimen (for muscle) and a better cardio (for "tone"...we call it cutting here) program, as well as a near picture perfect diet.

that sounds like a good ratio

if youre trying to increase muscle mass you need more calories and to actually move some weight around. cardio and lifting work different muscle fibers, going in one direction can affect the gains in the other
