Clickity clicking knees Fatass_sprinter !dHCbrHI07w
hey /fit/, I have a bit of a problem. I've already scheduled a doctor's appointment but I was hoping that someone might know something that could help right now.

I've been happy lately because my squat went from 285 to 365 in roughly 3 weeks for 3 sets of 5 reps. My problem is that my right knee is now clicking whenever I make a squatting motion holding bodyweight or more. There is no pain to speak of but there is tightness around my knee.

I read up on this problem and found that it might be caused by a muscle imbalance pulling my patella off its natural track. There's also the chance that I've torn some cartilage or my IT band or hamstring is too tight.

So I've been stretching way more than usual but that hasn't helped much. I layed off squats during my past leg workout which really made me feel like a pussy but I'm worried. Does anyone have any experience with this happening? Any tips?

Haven't got the same problem so I can't really help you out, but clicking from within the knee doesn't really sound too good. Make sure you go check that out. Nice job on the PR with squats though.

Seriously? Is there anyway to reverse the damage?

I doubt it. A click is a click.
