is this a pansy crash diet? or is this good for a first time?
>> Anonymous
yes, continue this and you'll gain at least 5 lbs by the end of the month.

how so?

I eat 2 meals a day regularly, surely going A DAY without eating (most of the time spent eating) won't do shit

sure it will. Your body will break down muscle for energy. Your body composition will weaken, your metabolism will slow. When you start eating again you'll gain weight.

Dieting is awesome!

from a DAY?

bull. also i'm trying to be a skinnyfag, so I don't mind losing a bit of muscle mass

but why does the body go for muscle and not fat?

how many times do we have to say this, 5-6 meals a day. You can try crash dieting, but enjoy binging after not eating for 24 hours. It doesn't matter if you want to be a skinnyfag, losing weight takes time, don't expect to drop 20 pounds in one day, be patient. if you diet without exercising, or if you diet too stringently, your body eats through its muscle tissue because it is readily available.

I don't expect to lose it in a day, I'm thinking 20 off in 2 months. I know that's doable, i've seen it.

if not silly diets, how then? I can't go to a gym, and there's blacks everywhere in this neighborhood so no running.

It eats through muscle because muscle takes energy just to sit there and do nothing, whereas fat does not. It makes plenty of sense for survival situations.

honestly it depends on how much you weigh.
a word of advice from a fellow anon: incorporate weight training to your "new lifestyle", unless you want to end up like this guy. The only way you can get rid of loose skin is through surgery, which go upwards anywhere from $4,000 to $20,000.

also depends on how old you are. I lost 100 lbs in one year a few years back and at first i was like that guy but now it's back to normal because i'm young.

being a skinny fag with some muscle looks better than being a skinny-fat fuck.

Anyway, exercising is your best ticket to being thin. Caloric deprivation is going to give you a disgusting looking body.

provided you eat the same amount of calories with the same ratio of macronutrients in the two meals that you would in the hypothetical 5-6, your metabolism will NOT slow down. Yes you will store more fat, but you will BURN MORE during the downtime, as opposed to storing less fat and burning less. Meal frequency is really a matter of convenience not a metabolic necessity (provided all macro's are in the right proportion.)

if you have to crash diet then at least do it intelligently. Research the protein sparing modified fast, for a scientific method to retain lean body mass in extreme caloric deficits. It really would be worth your time before you start doing some fucking GRAPFRUTZ DIETZ

wait, what? If you train weights, you wont have loose skin? Why couldn't you just take up weight training once you are skinny-fat then?
bulking&cutting together is far more difficult than doing them one at a time.

I've had good success with eating a calorie restricted diet (around 50% of what I should be having), eating only lean meat like grilled chicken breast, and exercising daily.

I agree with this guy.

You focus on protein and muscle development, and don't deprive your body of calories, damnit. Your body will fight back and bitch-slap you by trying to retain all the fat it can when you do try to eat regularly.
