Hey /fit/, I'm a measly 5' 3"...

Is there a way to increase the amount of growth hormone my body produces without taking growth hormone supplement? Such as dietary, etc.

not really, your pretty shit out of luck.

you could try talking to your doctor about taking some hormone therapy for your height if you're near the end of puberty. that might help.

I was going to, but my parents are strong believers that it doesn't work...

I'm 15 so I'm not finished growing, but I'm on steroids for medical purposes that are probably limiting my growth, I would stop them but it would be hard to breathe...

Here's all I found:
Stimulators of GH secretion include:
- growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) from the - - arcuate nucleus
- ghrelin
- sleep
- exercise
- low levels of blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
- dietary protein
- increased androgen secretion during puberty (in males from testis and in females from adrenal cortex)
- arginine

reason with your folks. tell them that it's YOU who's going to have to, possibly, live your whole life being 5'3" and not them.

you could also do those things you listed. exercising large muscle groups secrete GH. i'm currently on a diet that only lets me consume about 30-50 grams of carbs per weekday to simulate hypoglycemia to induce GH secretion. it takes will and dedication, but if you really want to try it i wish you luck.
