Hey /fit/, I need some advice.

My girlfriend is worried about her weight so she's going to do the walk one hour a day thing. Thing is she doesn't want to do it on her own. I offered myself to go with her, but I also want to get some real exercise done (squats, pushups, crunches, and some more stuff). I heard you're not supposed to mix cardio (I assume walking is cardio) with muscle building exercises, so what should I do? I'm only planning to do those exercises two times a week, three maximum.

Oh, and could anyone tell me what are the best exercises for chest/back/arms without using any weights or machines? No money.

C'mon, I'm glad to see my girlfriend wants to make an effort, she's always complaining about her weight and is on a strict 1200 calorie diet, but it doesn't make her any thinner. She has quite the big butt

Walking, although it is more effective than just sitting there, is pretty negligible as far as the dangers of mixing cardio and weights go. Think about it, you walk all over the place every day, an hour more isn't going to destroy all attempts at muscle building.

Anyways instead of the walking thing why not try and get her into sports? badminton for example somthing to mix it up!
