train 'steady state' on days you literally CANT do anything else without compromising recovery for the things that count (HIIT, Weights). a nice, brisk walk at a hilly area, bike ride, water activities, etc. it should NEVER be primary means of exerc. unless you intend to compete in aerobic events...then, by all means
thinking 'OMG, i need weightloss' is fail, without knowing your situation at all (nor do i care too), you likely need to strive to CHANGE YOUR BODY COMPOSITION to achieve health. -reevaluation diet and exercise (composed of primarily anaerobic means) are the best ways to achieve this
