Schizo Anonymous
I think i have schizophrenia. Im halucinating and ive got major mood swings. I cant think about the same thing for very long. I need some quick relief from this state of mind so i can help myself get better. Im 17 and im freaked out. What can i do so i can feel normal and think properly. (I realise i will be told to get professional help, im looking for an alternative untill i can)

Pic related and i think i can still hold my sense of humor. (yeah that is a bit sick minded but meh)

>>19673Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder is the closest thing to it I believe.

I once had a conversation with an aphasic, who, after I described the condition, became convinced that it was exactly like aphasia. Before I described it, he was unable to describe aphasia. After I described it, he parroted it back to me as his description of aphasia. (He had aphasia though, so I'm not sure I trust his description.)

You don't need Haldol...>>19613stupid fuck. I doubt you're Schizophrenia, but you could have the before mentioned dissociative identity disorder or you could have a severe type 1 Manic-Depressive Disorder. Both of these are supported by rapidity of thought, auditory hallucinations, etc.

With Bi-Polar(Manic-Depressive) you need to be careful as in the name the entire disorder is focused around high (Manic Episodes) where your mind seems to race you have excess energy, loss of sleep and with severe Mania the experiance of auditory and sometimes visual hallucinations and other psychotic issues.
The other facet of this disorder is the depressive episodes which can last from a few weeks to years. Hard to believe but true. Don't get on anti-depressents right away for being down or psychotic, as it may trigger a mania and keep you at that level. Though that may sound awesome, especially when you are low all the time, but being that high all the time will fry your already strained neurons and brain and you will basically crash badly.

With the other dissociative identity disorder, I don't know much about that other than the identity confusion and convincing auditory hallucinations that often "tell" you to do things.

You need immediate psychiatric... not psychological... PSYCHIATRIC Help. Medications and Therapy make these disorders MANAGEABLE. But they are a life sentence.

Schizophrenia includes hallucinations, voices, paranoia, and feelings that someone is out to get you. Are your voices bullying or coercing you?

Drugs can make it so that you can see sounds, but I haven't heard anything about tasting things.
