Insurgent fatfag here. Been steadily shedding tubs o' lard since January. 5'6", initial weight 210 lbs. at around Jan. 21, 7am. Now as of last week, it appeared that I was down to 173 lbs. Been getting the kind word or a pat in the back here and there for a while now.

So I told myself, fukken great, if I keep this up for a little bit more, I'll be on my way to 165. Then 155. Then finally 145. Then plans and stuff.

Last night, out of mindless compulsion, I bought a new weighing scale. It turned out that I am still 182 lbs. as of this morning.

I know it really shouldn't make me feel shitty, but in a way it still does.

That is all.

what is with the pic. what the f is that?

if the second weigh in was wrong low, so was the first

the important thing is the difference, which is still a considerable amount of weight

toss the scale and work for making urself feel good. the better shape ur in, the better u feel. ur weight is not very important, u can have perfect weight and still feel like shit.

I know, I'm not really upset about it, just the thought that a set goal just moved a little bit farther down the road. Like, last month I decided that my target for June would be at least 175. Funny how life works sometimes.

also: fuck scales, look at you in the mirror and if it's alright it's alright. fucking idiots.

Lol, funny story

if you were weighing yourself on the same scale the whole time... then that means your initial weight would probably have been higher on your new scale as well, so you still made the same amount of progress.

Look at it this way. You are still roughly down ~30lbs

Hey OP. Did you put the scale in a new place? Or did you put it on the place your old scale was?

The reason I ask, is because depending on what the scale is on, it can affect your weight quite a bit.

I noticed that when I'm naked in my room, I weight 5 pounds more than when I am naked in the bathroom, and that is in a specific spot on the bathroom floor. It's something to do with how even the floor is, and how well the tile is holding to the floor. If any of them are off, you'll get an inaccurate reading.

Noticed that on carpet floor. I was 16st 6lb, then i weighed again and was 16st 1lb, then i got a constant reading of 16st 3lb. Think i'll start doing it on tiles rather than carpet.

i've just never seen that unit of measurement before

Stone isn't metric. It's the same system as pounds(at least I think) and barely used outside of the UK.
