Fat ass here. Anonymous
Dear /fit/
I'm looking to loose weight. I'm at a point in my life where i have nothing better to do than play WoW. I'm sick of this shit and i cancled my account and gave my credit card to my father to hold onto so i cant reactivate it till i get in shape.

Im quite serious about this or else i wouldnt be posting pics and asking for help.
Im 6ft even and 210lbs.
Im sick of this shit.
I heard an ice water based diet along with exercise. Any truth behind it.
Thanks much.

OP Here.
Also, i was told a lot of peanut butter and milk.
Something about the protein from peanut butter, and skim milk takes more carbs to make teh body digest it than the carbs you take in from drinking it.

how can ice water be the basis for a diet?
>> Anonymous
>>57986
Well, not just water.
Sorry should have made myself a bit more clear.
something about Ice water requiring the body to burn carbs to:
A: digest
B: to return the body to its normal temp
I'm merely shooting in the dark, grasping at anything at this point.

Sounds like hocus-pocus to me. Just eat healthily and start working out. If you cancelled your WoW account odds are you've got shit all to do, so buy a fucking bike and ride around the park a bit and talk to people. You can afford to lead an active lifestyle, and it'll fix your problems.

Bleh, little tricks and gimmicks are bullshit at this point. Stay away from peanut butter right now, you are probably eating the processed shit anyways.

Drink lots of water, eat meat (eggs, cow, chicken, etc.), run and exercise. You're just fat right now, you don't look like you will born into fatness. Stop drinking sodas, energy drinks, etc. eventually the craving for sweet shit goes away.

Lol. I own a bike, just not wanting nowhere to ride is the issue.
It's ohio. So needless to say, its cold as tits.
not to mention, the only park is in the middle of a literal "ghetto". I want to loose fat, not a limb.
Now, after observing my own fat ass and crotch.

How the fuck do i get rid of that "fupa" of sorts?

hey I just quit wow, 6 foot, I clock in at about 320 but I dont look much bigger then you, so your lying, or the scale at the docs office was lying.

anyways Ive been on a diet for about a week that includes

1. cold water when i get hungry
2. a fruit smoothly a day (real stuff not like some crazy shit with suger)

anyways so far working pretty good, gunna get a membership to the gem this week and take it to the next level. of course doing this I will probably have to through in an apple or banana before I go.

anyways what are you doing?
>> Anonymous
>>57993
also I pretty much would eat fast food 4 times a week so Im sure that did not help, and pretty much get zero exercise so Im sure just cutting out soda and fast food alone would totally help me but Im trying hard.

>>57993
Lol. no Joke 220-ish. No more than 230 unless i put it on in the past 48 hours >.<

Im trying to drop Mt. Dew, but the headaches i get from on caffeine are enough to knock me out for the day. No amount of aspirin seems to help.
I walk/run about 2 miles to a local campus to merely hang out with friend for the majority of the day every other day during the week.

>>57996
well shit I dunno i look about the same so maybe Its more in my legs or some shit, anyways I dunno going pretty good so far, so I wish you the best of luck.

the way I figure it, if I exercise as much as I use to play wow then Ill hit 230 in no time (goal atm) so pretty much, work, gym, sleep

Also, any info on the diet that the cast of 300 used?
I heard they only ate apples.

Ice water is for the metabolism. Because of the cold temperature, the body needs to heat itself up again via the metabolism.

Here is what I suggest OP. No I am not going to tell you that you're fat and hopeless... but I will tell you this will take at least 2 months and a lot of self motivation. Start off everyday by eating a filling breakfast(this has been proven to help weight loss for those who don't). Take that credit card and buy a membership to a gym and work out 3 or 4 days a week. Peanut butter yes full of protein and is an awesome way to tone once you get there but not yet. You need to get healthy first because you look partially malnourished. Try and eat fruit as much as possible. Go for walks or bike rides because running when overweight can cause knee issues. Also Swimming is a great exercise but if you start be diligent about it.

One correction: do cardio first thing in the morning, before eating anything. This makes it more likely that your body will draw on your fat stores for energy than what you recently ate.

OP, we have the exact same weight and height, though more of my weight is muscle. Pic is from several weeks ago (before shaving my disgusting chest).

You're a fatass yet you're giving advice? GTFO of my /fit/.
>> Anonymous
>>57987
Yes, you would burn some calories from drinking ice water exclusively. However, it's miniscule. Just doing the math (a calorie, 1/1000 of a Calorie, heats a gram of water 1 degree, so calculating the amount of Calories it would take to raise 8 cups of 0 degree Celsius water up to 37 degrees Celsius.) estimates that you would probably lose a pound *a month*.

It's a decent gain for little effort, but dear god do not rely on it, hoping it'll be your salvation.

Water is always going to be good - temperature is irrelevant. My advice would be to immediately try to replace the WoW habit with something constructive And time-consuming. I struggled to stay out of the game until I took up martial arts - still just a noob at it, but 3 - 4 nights a week, and I just don't have time for computer games anymore. Plus, increasing your physical activity should really help you to get a regular sleep schedule, which (from my own WoW experience) was one of the biggest problems with playing that game.

Good for you, man.

IGNORE THAT VELOCITY DIET BULLSHIT

Jesus Chist. There are no "quick fixes" for getting in shape. If you do a fad diet then you're a fucking retard. Just eat right and exercise.
>> jdA !!wWNwtvqbMqB
Keep playing world of warcraft, but dont eat when you play. I heard its THE BEST diet going.

But on a srs note, try and eat less, learn how to do HIIT, then some ??????'s, then profit by having less of a belly!
