Hand Grips? Anonymous
Anyone had any experiences using hand grips? My wrists/forearms are totally disproportionately smaller than the rest of my body and I'm looking for a way to change that.

yes, they work.

Deadlifts and just holding large amounts of weight with a tight grip for a while work better.

They are good for the grip, but would not really work your forearms.

As anon said, big deadlift, and forearms curls (that's how we know them in my gym, like you take the bar from the back and start curling your wrist)

A guy at work has a pair on his desk, I borrowed them for a minute and did 100 grips and for the next 5 minutes my forearms felt totally pumped.

Try a dynaflex at home, its a bit loud, so not for work.

farmer's walks, kettlebell swings, kipping pull-ups

Deadlifts and pull-ups should do you good for now if you're a beginner. If you're really into grip strength you need to check out <www.ironmind.com>. They're the best in the business when it comes to grip training.

Go for it

Deadlifts, farmer's walks, etc. If you're going to get grippers get some real ones like the Captains of Crush or whaterver, them shits are strong.

Hand grips did not help me with my weak wrists (it's hereditary), press-ups did, though.

have your arms out stretched palms facing floor rotate so palms facing up repete

Do towel grip pullups. If that doesnt make your grip stronger and your forearms bigger nothing will.

On a related note, how strong must your grip be before you are able to start ripping throats out a la Rambo 4?

oh i have a good one, depending on how much you can lift get some weights maybe 25-35 just hold them at your side, and roll/rock the weight in your hands, if that makes sense, making mini motions and you will feel it in your forearms really fast
