Alright, Halloween is coming up in a little over a month, and I've taken it upon myself to go as the tick.

I've got to lose about 10-15 pounds of fat and gain as much muscle as I can. I'm moderately muscled already but it's been almost 6 months since I last lifted any weights.

Can /fit/ suggest a good workout routine for this? I'm looking to get back what I've lost and build, even looking past the month. (The Tick will be a reusable retro if I can keep my shape up, so this isn't a "bulk for a month and forget" plan.)

Willing to do 5 days per week in the gym. I cycle, though, so I probably won't be hitting the lower body quite as hard. Also, if I play basketball before I work out, will I lift less AND get less results, or just be able to lift less due to pre-existing fatigue?
