Hey /fit/ I need some help. I eventually plan to join the armed forces and I would like some tips on how to be in better shape....because I sure the hell aren't. I'm 17, weigh about 145lbs and I'm a heavy smoker...sadly enough. I usually spend my entire time infront of my computer. I can barely do 10 push ups without dying. Also I never watch what I eat, I grab whatever I can get my hands on, though I never gain any weight. So whatever help I can get will be much appreciated.

First. At least be able to run 1.5 miles, then 3 miles, or you'll look like a pathetic bastard as you fall behind from the group.

I also can't do the required amount of pushups required for PT. So I do pushups at breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost everyday.
Increase the amount of pushups you do once you feel confident.
