hey /fit/ track runner here i just injured my foot again (stress response if i kept on going it would have lead to a stress fracture) and I dont want to lose the fitness I have built up over the winter. So instead of running I have been doing bike rding on a stationery trainer which seems to work quite well as well as doing squats, leg lifts and hamstring curls. Anything else I could do to keep my fitness and leg strength up? I heard skipping was quite good but could it get the heart rate up high enough?
you could just run in the cold.
Op HereSorry forgot to mention, I have to rest my foot for at least 2-3 weeks so no running unfortunatly .
No ideas for exercises for runners legs?
More squats.
