Cut out fast food (I eat it once in a while when I'm out with friends and we are hungry)
At first, don't eat all your meals until your really full, just eat enough.
After 2 hours from your last meal, or when you are slightly hungry, eat a small snack. (I eat celery + peanut butter, or a granola bar, or a bag of cashews)
When you workout, like do pushups and stuff. Don't work out that muscle group the next day. Most people say it's okay to workout the same muscles everyday, but I'm not 100% which one is true.
What I do is, workout and all that stuff one day. Then I do jog and sprint the next day.
That's just what I do, just play around with things and see what works for you.
