on my workout (just the upper body part)? I'm just beginning to work out. I am kind of too busy to focus on a less simple routine than what I have right now, and my gym is a bit limited.

I've arranged the following routine (exercises listed in order). I'm male, 19, 5'11, 150 pounds.

Monday:

shoulder press
behind the neck shoulder press
triceps press-down
bent-over triceps extension

Tuesday:

preacher curl
barbell curl

you're only training the biggest, most important part of your body once a week. do you see a problem with this?

Is it a problem? I run everyday, but working out the legs really hurts my mobility and i really am trying to increase the distances I can run. I thought doing them once a week would be fine, since my legs tend to be in better shape than my upper body.

first of all

YOU'RE A FUCKING FAGGOT

second.

fuck tricep press down, do dips, fuck your shoulder presses and do overhead pressesm what the fuck does legs mean? Also fuck your lat pulldown, if you can't do one pullup do jumping pullups while controlling the lowering movement.

legs just meant that i wasn't hoping for more than upper-body advice in the thread.

dips: okay, I'll try to replace press-downs with dips. however, there is no dip station at the gym, so i tried on the edge of a chair and it felt to easy. are they supposed to be easy, or should i keep looking for a dip station? also, do the overhead extensions remain?

shoulder press/overhead press: what is the difference? I meant to indicate the exercise that is also called the military press. i can't find any difference b/t that and shoulder press on the internet other than the one being a seated exercise and the other standing. does it make a difference?

pullups: so I cheat going up, and focus on coming down very slowly right?

I forgot to add: thanks a lot.

By training your legs heavy you will be able to recruit more of the aerob fibers too, because of the ekstra CNS control you gain from heavy training, and then you will be able to run further.

Wait, what's the difference between shoulder presses and overhead presses?

They are the same motion shoulder presses are just assumed to be done on a machine. So it fails. Just call it the press faggots.

if if i take away the lateral pull downs and replace with pullup bar (i actually tried some pullups, it turns out after three days of working out I can now do two of them!), should I do pullups every day? or on the same days I would have done lateral pullldowns? or perhaps on those two days plus sunday?
