Squats are extremely difficult to execute properly. It would be wise to NOT do squats, unless you are supervised by an experienced weightlifter.

Squats employ almost every muscle in your legs and your abs. They are also excellent for developing balance and core strength. Best of all they are a natural movement (standing up)
