Alright, it's hot and I'm extremely bored, so I'll infuse you with some knowledge about pushups. Leverage is extremely important, higher up your feet are, the more you're working out your legs. So, here it goes.
Start by getting up to 20 normal pushups. Put you feet up on a stair or coffee table, get to 20 here. Move onto a chair, then a table, then a countertop.
At this point you can start worrying about one armed pushups. The trick is start with a modified normal pushup--one arm should be in the classic position, with the other raised up on a stack of books. Move up to greater heights, and eventually you'll be able to pull off one handed pushups.
As well, since you worked up so such a verticle height, you can also work on handstands.
