at that age muscle development is much slower, and very often bones are brittle and break easily from merely tripping on a carpet and hitting the hard floor. Internally bleed to death from a hip fracture. I think the bone thing is more important first, get calcium in, I think you have to do this at an early age, might not be absorbed much or at all later.
