Hi. I'm 17, and haven't been very athletic at all. Anyway, I've had a gym membership for a while which I've used sporadically, and I've decided that once and for all I'm going to get fit.

I have a bit of a routine devised:
Monday: Upper body
Tuesday: Lower body
Wednesday: Cardio and abs
Thursday: Upper body
Friday: Lower body
Saturday: Cardio and abs
Sunday: Rest

Anyway, there were times when I would do that routine, or variants, for a few weeks. And I wouldn't notice any real change.

For a baseline, I am 5'9", 195 lbs.

as for exercises, i really recommend pullups and crunches/bicycle crunches/other brutal stomach exercises

i recommend a bike for cardio and legs, but dont coast, keep pedaling and pushing

but exercise just builds muscle, you need to cut calories to lose weight

yea, 1 meal a day will kill your metabolism and makes your body go into storage mode where it keeps anything you put into it. 3 small meals is a much better plan

You are over training, OP.
Sleep moar. Eat moar.

Work out a maximum of 3 times per week. One day push, one day pull, and one day legs. Mon-Wed-Fri.

Do this for 6 months, then adjust.

I'd highly suggest dling p90x if you are a piratefag, or even buying it

if you just want mussle do a 5x5 but if you want to truely burn fat fast and have defined mussles a 5 day split is the way to go, just keep the cardio good and eat clean

if you are still in high school pre pack your lunch and a snack or two to have during breaks and whatever

but EAT CLEAN and you will see hueg results, cannot stress that enough
