Hello /fit/.

I'm currently 5.7 ft, 220-230 lbs, and i want to loose the weight. I'm not looking for a quick and easy way to loose it, eg. pills, supplements; but I want to find a tolerable routine that can help me get the weight off. I can run and have access to a treadmill, but people are always telling me that weight lifting is something like 4 times as effective as running when it comes to burning fat, but it rapes your muscles in the morning.

What I'm looking for is either a good alternative to weight lifting or a reasonable balance between running and weightlifting.

There is no alternative that matches weight lifting.
