what does /fit/ think about Bodylastics?

Has anyone tried them? Does it actually work? I feel like every website or review that I've come across made it sound like they were paid to say how great it is. I know /fit/ will give it to me straight.

$50 bucks for the package doesn't seem like a bad deal, and I can work out in the privacy of my own home.

All these fad things are utter shit. Its manual resistance band training, you can do the same with a pair of weights or go to a gym.

i lift heavy weights alot, and honestly they are good for rehab and prehab thats it

you can do rotator cuffs with the bands, as well as high rep pressdowns to aleviate elbow problems.

as for building strength and getting a workout, no, they are crap for that

A gym isn't currently an option. I have a pair of weights but I feel somewhat restricted with what I can and can't do with them. Maybe that's just me.. these seem like I can do a little more with them - and replicate several machines at the gym.

Well you will be wasting time and money. I cant think of what you can do with these bands that you cant do with a pair of freeweights and a barbell. Adjust the weights to the exercise you're doing and your all set.

fair enough. i guess i wasn't thinking about the barbell really. thanks for the input.
