So like, is it true that if you lose more than a certain amount of pounds per week/month/whatever, that your skin won't return to it's original form and you'll be stuck with deflated looking flab?

I've heard people say something like "no more than 5 pounds a week" because of something to do with hydration and elasticity in your skin, but I don't know what's right.

I'm 315 pounds, 6'0, 24 years old, male, and plan to do HIIT in the morning and weight lifting before bed, coupled with copious amounts of water and a much better diet (i.e. not burger king every day). People at work say that I'll lose a TON of weight right off the bat, since the fatter/heavier you are, the larger/more significant the initial loss is. I'm just concerned about flabby arms and gut, because as it is now they're pretty fucking big.

You won't lose much weight 'cause you'll be replacing your fat with muscle.

OP here again, I'm also very fucking scared of the stretch marks I have remaining even after losing weight. I have a fucking ton of them on my upper arms/shoulders and my love handles and stomach. They're already very light, but I'm worried they won't go away.

I've heard people say that they either go away or fade to light after losing weight in the area, or that you can use cocoa butter or something similar to remove them over time.

I swear to god that if these things are permanent I'll fucking kill myself. Was looking forward to the whole "go to the pool with shirt off" scenario as motivation, since I've never been in a body of water, ever (save for the tub/shower) due to my weight.

Its a side effect, but no, your skin will shrink eventually. It doesn't stay that way.

Its "2 pounds per week" but thats only when you start reaching the lower numbers. Technically at your high weight you can lose more safely. It has to do with a ratio of your total fat to your mass, eventually it will come down to safely losing only 2lbs.

The main concern of losing more than 2lbs a week, is that anymore your body starts to catobolize muscle tissue instead of fat. Losing lean muscle mass lowers your metabolism, which is whats burning your fat in the first place.

Well, I did lose much weight (5kg in a month, or something, also I was not fat before, so it's much) when I was a teen. My skin was kind of baggy a couple of months but then it caught up ok.
Now I'm almost athletic, lol.

5 Pounds a week is also a fucking lot!
Faster will make muscle go away too, depends on how much fat youve got.

Ive never heard of the myth saying that it will leave your skin hangin. But theres probably something true about it, but if you get granny arms, then just start lifting and the loose skin will be filled with MUZZLE
