i just started going to the gym. only problem is i am getting so many caloces in my fingers and it hurts like hell and its getting worse and worse. i see NOONE at my gym who wears gloves so a noob like me would like to a retard wearing them. so how can i fix this? and why dont more people use gloves? or do you just get used to it after awhile?

I donno, my callouses haven't matured I guess. But if OP keeps lifting gloveless there might be more callous development, and it's possible to get the skin on mature callouses rougher from tears

i have gloves and tried them about a year ago--big waste and made my lifts shitty

don't use gloves because they are a crutch to improving your grip strength and also because they alter the way you grip the bar and hold it

I remember watching an episode of Ren and Stimpy way back when I was a little kid and that big guy showed them his hands and they had huge calluses on them and said "These are the hands of a working man!"

I've been developing mine ever since, so I am hardcore.
