home tattoo removal Anonymous
when i was 14 i thought i was cool because i had a high threshold for pain, i used to do my own piercings and stuff with safety pins. in the past 6 years i realised this was a foolish thing to do, and removed most of my piercings.

unfortunately, i also did this to my left index knuckle using a ballpoint pen and a safety pin, its essentially a prison tatt but all it is is three small dots in a triangle, and i'm fucking sick of it and regret it so much.

i heard there was a way to do it with a water-soluble tablet of some kind where you dip it in water and jam it against the tattoo till it burns off the skin. i'd really rather not take sandpaper to it or a blade, but if the worst comes to the worst i'll give it a shot.

tl;dr i was fucking stupid, how do i remove a small and shitty tattoo at home that doesn't involve taking a blade to my knuckle.

it's the triforce, if you remove it you'll have to go on a 40 hour collectathon to restore balance to your world

Wtf. Dude. Seriously. That shit will leave behind a huge scar. Get it removes via laser treatment. Shouldn't take that many sittings with a tatoo that small.

well, the point was doing it myself, at home, for free..

Here's what you do: get some sand paper and wash it with rubbing alcohol, and then wipe the knuckle down with alcohol. Scrape the knuckle with the sand paper just enough so that it's bleeding lightly. Then rub oragel into it (or anything with benzocaine really), until it goes numb. Then proceed to scrape more vigorously with the sand paper until the tattoo is no longer visible. Wash out the wound with alcohol, apply some neosporin and a bandage, and enjoy.

This is essentially what plastic surgeons do, only they use an enormously powerful carbon laser and they inject the local anesthetic.

Thad helped me yesterday (bike-crash guy), and I can affirm that applying Orajel will buy you about 2-4 minutes of COMPLETE numbness on a scrape or cut.

I read somewhere that one can OD X-caine anesthetics if they're applied to an open wound and kept under a bandage, so you should probably wash off the gel.

Then again, everything on the internet should be taken as the dire truth, right?

same here. at my next doctors appointment he told me it would just pop out as I grew. But it's still there. The skin grew over it.

Does this also work for moles?

Essentially, but don't excise your own moles.

Jesus, what the fuck is up with these DIY requests all of a sudden? There was also one for a tattoo yesterday.
That whole sanding thing is such a fucking retarded idea, I hope you get an infection and your finger amputated.
If you're smart enough you won't sand the shit out, get some fucking laser treatment. No money? Work for it and pay for the consequences of being a fucking moron in the first place.

You clearly don't understand why basic antiseptic procedure is effective, and thus should not be giving anyone medical advice.

You're trusting someone who tattooed himself with a BALLPOINT PEN to really take "basic anticeptic procedures" seriously?
Fuck off with your at home procedure to fuck your hand faggot.

14 year olds do stupid stuff. He's 20 now, an adult, and I personally think he can handle wiping stuff down with rubbing alcohol. You clearly think that it's some kind of supremely complicated directive that only trained professionals can accomplish, though. Maybe it is, for you. Maybe you're an idiot.

put wart remover on the area, wait for it to kill the skin, peel off the skin, reapple wart remover to exposed skin, wait for it to kill skin. Peel off.

Warning : second application will sting like a bitch, it'll take a week to heal and a month to blend back in with the rest of the skin (shouldn't scar). Cover it with plaster otherwise people will think you're diseased.

Not a great way of doing things but at least it shoulnd't lead to an infection.

Always get doctors to check out troublesome moles, they could be cancerous.

Also, they bleed. A lot.

I recently went to the dermatologist to get some of my moles checked out, and they said chances were highly unlikely that I had cancer, but I've always hated them for aesthetic purposes. However, it would apparently cost upwards of $200 per mole. And I have dozens.
Considering that all the dermatologist would do is cut it off with a punch or a blade, why couldn't someone just do it themselves?
Anyone know anything about it?

The doctor would likely freeze it first. Would also try to minimise scarring.

Moles have their own blood supply, you can lose more blood than you'd think from them and there's a good chance it'd get infected.

Also doing it yourself would hurt like a bitch, both when doing it and afterwards.
