I'm making a work out plan for my self. On mon, wed, and fri, I work my lower abs and lower back. On tues and thurs, I work my upper back and do cardio/running mostly. I eat about 1800 to 2000 caleries a day. Is this a good plan? How can I improve it? Trying to lose weight btw.

cardio every day, or damn near. only twice a week is useless. throw in something to work on your upper torso/arms/shoulders. bench, curls, military press, something. more squats. always more squats.

and start easy. even if you can do a certain weight on something, start lower.

For real, squats. Squats are one of the best free weight exercises you can do combined with cardio for losing weight.

I'd say some more cardio, like 3 times a week minimum. Maybe try some hiit if you're up to it.
Supply that with weight training (compound shit like squats/deadlifts/benchpress/rows, just abs/lower back is not really great) 2/3 times a week and you should see improvements.

at 5'7" and 200 your overweight. Are you a malefag or femalefag? Try doing Cardio more than just twice a week, I would suggest more like 4 times 5 if you can. Try some light lifting before cardio sessions instead of just concentrating on your abs and back. If you have no weights at your disposal, do body weight exercises (pushups, situps SQWATZ, lunges, jumping jacks etc...) Google body weight exercises for different types and for targeting different areas of your body. Doing this before you run will go a long way to helping you kick start the weight loss process. Once you start getting into a good routine, look up HIIT and incorporate it into your Cardio routine.

cardio 3 times a week is the best I do with college and work. I also follow these site and I'm trying to mix and match them.

in other words-
on one day I uses trong lifts set a + half of abs work outs + upper back

on another I use strong lifts set b + second half of ab work outs+ lower back

I still need to fit running in there but other wise this method along with all your suggestions only sound like I'm going to build muscles instead of losing them.
