Gain Endurance, No Weight Loss? Anonymous
Hey /fit/

I've been doing a lot of cardio lately ( jumping rope and walking and such ) and I'm not losing much weight, but I can tell a definite difference in endurance. Is this because I am starting? I'd hate to get to like 240 and not have the ability to lose via cardio ( have no access to gym ).

Btw I am 5'10 250-254 ( not sure, scale is fucked ).

Thanks

Yes, I did rowing machine as part of my gym exercises for two weeks. From third week it was a lot easier so I pushed my targets up.

I didn't start losing weight until I dropped my calorie intake though (from 2200-2400 down to 1600-1700 coupled with exercise went from 224lb to 219 in ten days)

That's the thing, I have been eating considerably less. I mean, not starving, but I did use to eat a lot.

Make sure you're not taking in too much fat... Use fitday.com and keep a rough guideline of what goes down your throat, drink MOAR water whenever feeling the slightest bit hungry, a week like that and any cravings near vanish

exercise first thing in the morning, one hour before breakfast. Results start within two weeks

I've done all of those things too. The water, the exercise in the morning. I also think I may or may not be an impatient bastard who expect to 100 pounds in 2 weeks.

I, personally, think it's the scale that's fucking with me ( i.e somehow gaining a few pounds when LESS of me is on it, and losing when MORE of me is on it ).

Also, this brings up another question : Is it possible to be fat and immune to losing weight via cardio (after extensive cardio exercises)? I've heard about this in some threads and I'll dread that day.

Drink Tea and Water only. Cut sodas, their the fastest way to diabeetus.
Eat lean meats and moar veggies, they dont have many calories, and keep you full.
Run 10 minutes and walk 20 on a treadmill and increase run time gradually, this helps like hell.
Most of all, VARY your excersizes. One day go for pure cardio endurance (low speed, but LONG time spent walking/jogging), the next lift some weights and go for pure speed. (Also, lift first. It's easier that way)

only weigh yourself in the morning
