1) Make every meal primarily protein.
2) 2-3 times a week, do short *intense* workouts. Don't count reps, just go until the muscle fails and you just can't move it anymore. This will cause muscle growth, which increases your metabolism in the short term.
3) *DO NOT* exercise every day or for long periods. This is dumb shit promoted by personal trainers paid by the hour. For weight loss, exercising like this doesn't burn nearly enough calories to justify it. #2 is enough.
4) Do not try to starve yourself, even a little -- this will lower your metabolism and make it hard to stick to any kind of diet.
5) Pig out one day a week -- seriously, eat anything and everything you want -- this will ensure your metabolism doesn't downregulate and quell cravings you might have during the week.
6) Weigh your self twice. Once when you start, and once when you've decided to quit. Don't weigh yourself frequently or you'll get discouraged. Remember -- it's how you look, not how much you weigh. The number is meaningless.
