All right, so I did my first day of jogging in a long long time.
Waking up at around 7.30 this morning, I decided not to go back to bed and start sleeping again. Instead I thought to myself "I fucking want to start getting in shape!".

And up I went, pulling out my old jogging shoes, and started stretching for a bit. Took my few belongings such as keys and mp3 player and marched out the door, determined to do some good today!
At the track I wasted no time (as walking up there takes a good 5-6 min I was thinking it to be like a small warm up anyway), so away I went.... Blazing speed ... for about 200m Then I decided that Blazing speed is not meant for half chubby single men living on the countryside. So I turned it down to a jog after catching my breath (which was all gone after those 200m I can tell you).

But from that moment on, it when far better. Jogging in a constant speed about 1/3 of the track (total length of the track is only like 4km or something, so yea.. its not as far as it seems, but still), after breaking in to a walk for about 100 m, then I jogged about just as long again, and had to stop to puke at a nearby tree! But this small thing was not to stop me, I had my mind set and kept on jogging!

When I was finally done, I swear to god, I thought my heart was to burst out of my chest and my lungs to explode. My head was banging and I never think I have sweat so much in my entire life! Thinking "what the hell am I doing to myself??" I slowly started moving back home.

But well home I couldn't stop the feeling of being a bit proud of my effort, like this great feeling when you know you did something really good even thou it felt like hell during the actual activity.

So I'm set for it! Tomorrow begins a new day, and ill be damned if I don't run that track yet again!

sounds to me like you never exercised your whole life, or maybe are middleaged.

Anyhow;

1. DIET DIET DIET, eat a boring fucking diet, no butter on bread, only smoked ham, COOK YOUR EVERY MEAL, THAT IS THE MEAT TO, DO NOT FRY IT IN THE FRYING PAN GOD DAMNIT.

2. Pace yourself muddahfugga. Ok, so you puked, you are totally out of shape, or is about to hurt yourself. I've done, most people who are pretty serious about getting into shape, hurt themselves once or twice on their way back.

3. connected to number 2, so set a breakeven goal in percent. That is, I will run 75% of the laps I have set out, that is my breakeven.

You probably know that cardio is the way to go if you want those fats to start transpire away from your body.

Thanks for the tip Anon, quick question thou. About "no things in the frying pan", how do you prepare a chicken fillet for example <- Lets face it, I'm a single guy who has trouble making macaronies with a good end result hehe.
I have one of those "quick grill" stuff lying around, which I was thinking of using.

Anyway, I usually don't eat that half bad I think, no instant food, no candy or snacks, and while I do enjoy a soda every once in a while i always make sure there is no sugar in it. Oatmeal is for breakfast every day as it stands now, and I'm thinking of throwing in some apples and other fruits during my days (as I'm one of those 2-3 meals a day men), as I usually don't eat much fruit. Mostly eat meat/chicken potato/rice/pasta and veggies for dinner.

Now I have been eating this "regular" household food for the past year, as my economy has dropped dead to the floor as of late, but maybe that was a good thing. Before I used to eat pizza and all kinds of fast instant food. But as I said, now I have dropped back to the more basic food products, and usually don't eat that big meals, and all my meals are home made - no instant stuff. Hopefully this will help me get in to shape.

You can bake your chicken in a tinfoil wrapping with veggies and chopped nuts. That way it doesn't get dry and you can just dump it into a bowl for consumption.

Bake in the oven. Also drop your carbs in the evening, you don't need to be consuming large quantities of carbs in the evening if you are going to be sedentary.
