as i've read, keeping the bodyfat low is what allows the abs to show, therefor its important to increase their size.
I usually do weighted cruches, leg raises til failure, then light oblique work, all with 20 seconds of rest between sets.

Your right, they do react less when I mention this. When I was younger, I viewed the big guys and their huge bodies at gross too, until I realized just how much work it takes to get there. Then you seem to develop an appreciation for it.
