Hey /fit/
Just weighed in at the ol' bathroom scale. 6' tall and a mere 131 lbs. I go to the gym and train with heavy weights. I do the workouts I need to do and I don't cardio, but I can't seem to put on any pounds. I take in about 2,600 cals a day, can't eat any more than that.
Wondering if any supplements will help? More importantly though, any tips on diets? Tired of weighing a lot less than I want to.

first thing that strike me is protein intake. getting enough?
>> Anonymous
Not sure if I'm getting enough, I drink about 1/3 gallon of milk a day, most days with protein powder and I try to stick to meats and dairy exclusively, peanut butter sandwiches too.
My muscles heal up alright, they just don't get any bigger.

Your caloric intake may be too low. Up your protien and carbs by about 25-50 grams, log what you're eating and see if there's any change. If you're still not gaining bump it up another 25-50. Repeat until you start putting on fat/or muscle and make note of the number of calories it took.

use heavier weights

and eat more thats a must.

I've got a similar problem. but not as bad. i'm 5'7" and around your weight.

I was able to gain 15-20 lbs then i stopped being able to put on more because i have a little girls appetite.

I don't know how to fix this. Might try running to get hungry because lifting doesn't do anything but not sure if cardio will be a waste and negate any bulking.

what you need to do is get you some steaks, a shitload of them.. cut them up and put them in a bowl and put peanut butter on them, globs of peanut butter fuck yeah there you go, eat and enjoy

Make yourself eat. After a year solid on adderal I had a irregular appetite and weighed 125 at 6', and I regularly lifted/worked out. Since I couldn't rely on my appetite to eat, I had to force my self. Now 145 and eating well over 3000 kCal a day.

Yeah, I've been working out for about 3 months with no gains, pretty frustrating. I guess I'll do 2 servings of my protein a day and try forcing down food.

Just fucking eat you whiny pussy. Find food you relly like and force it down. If it gets to the point where you can't force any down then start drinking meals:

Throw protein powder, milk, eggs, bananas, peanut butter and/or whatever else might be good into a blender liquefy it and drink it. If you are so pussy that you cannot do that then fuck right off and die.

About 100 g carbs in a shake or other right after every work out helps a lot. Also try a mix of 120 g (3 dl) oatmeal, 5 dl milk, 2dl water, almonds & nuts, banana and 25 g proteinpowder in one shake (blend first of course) and drink it every morning.

4000 calories per day is no problem if you know what to eat. Fat from healthy oils is great. 9 calories per 1 g of fat vs 4 calories per 1 g of carb/protein. 8-10 tablespoons of flax or olive oil per day should do the trick..

I had the problem of being a pussy when it came to food.

I just worked for strength/endurance rather than mass. Was in the Army Rangers for 4 years. Only bodyweight exercises mattered really so i was good once i got my legs strong enough to do the rucks. Didn't care about aesthetics really. Couldn't gain weight until I was 24. Was 5'9" 135-140 got to 155-160 when i got older because metabolism slowed down and i put on muscle easier.

I can't force down food either. I puke easily, and it negates the point of stuffing myself. I eat 1500-2000 normally. 3000 with 16oz of cytogainer or so.

Yes, how many bright young lives must be snuffed out by eating-related inuries before we learn

OP: Eat. My shortcut: drink instant breakfast shakes with every meal, that'll tack on a few hundred calories and 15g of protein with every meal. The Carnation chocolate ones are pretty decent.

eating more? You're talking about force-feeding idiot. Eating MORE would be eating more meals. Guess the 'roids dropped your IQ 50 points; or maybe that's just the inbreeding.

Find food you really like. Eat it. Surround yourself with relatively healthy snack food, and eat it when bored.

For example, do you like beef jerky? Buy a case of it and have it sit temptingly on your coffee table.

REMOVE ALL TEMPTATION!

Throw away your shit food and NEVER, EVER buy it again. No soda, no >1% milk. Go to the store and decide the healthy stuff you want. Lean cuisines? You got it. Bag o fruits? you got it. Hungry mans? Fuck no. get that shit out of my face.

If ya really need to... just before a walk have coffee or a diet energy drink. It helps me tons. Also, riding your bike is good shit, too.

When I lost an assload of weight, I didnt see any progress in the mirror, but the scale said I lost 60 lbs. So be sure to have a scale and write down a goal every week. Hopefully you made your goal the next time you check it.

He's trying to bulk up.

Dude I ate 6000 calories a day and didn't gain a single POUND.

People with crazy fast metabolisms have to eat like 12,000 calories a day.

Soak your toast in water.
It makes one slice of toast weigh about 1 lb, and we all know, heavier foods = more calories = weight gain.

Thats why I don't bother with scrambled eggs anymore, they were too light and fluffy. I just cook the same amount of eggs but sunny-side up, and its like twice the calories!
