Would hockey be considered HIIT because your going all out for a minute, resting for a few minutes, then going all out again?

Yes it's the same principle. I remember when I first came to Japan, me and my wife were always getting around on bicycles and we lost a serious amount of fat while eating ice cream and just about every single bad thing that anyone could eat. I have now realized how we lost that fat, by cycling on the bike we were traveling to a lot of places which took 45 minutes to get to, on a bike.

During the path we took, we were constantly going up and down hills while also coming to places where you had to REALLY push your self to get up steep hills. Looking back at it now, the reason why we lost so much fat was because we were doing H.I.I.T! We went through the same principles of H.I.I.T by doing loads of cycling. So how else can I explain the serious amount of fat loss?

My bodyfat was 16% when I first entered Japan and then it came down to 10% by going around on the bikes. So I would consider hockey to be H.I.I.T.
