Then I must be working out too hard or my body sucks.

It takes awhile to get used to it. I use to feel like shit after cardio because I was a fatty. Eventually it got better. Lifting was easier for me because...well I was a fatty and needed strength to haul my enormous bulk around. Lifting left me sore and painful but it felt like an accomplishment over the labored wheezing cardio left me with.

Yeah, protein shake of some sort.

I mix two bananas, ice, milk, yogurt (plain), peanut butter, and some protein shit together for my after workout shake and it tastes delicious.

i watch a movie while my girlfriend gives me a backrub to help me loosen up right after i take a long hot shower. the showers the best part but the back rub feels damn good too...

I smoke a joint. There's no better feeling in the world after hitting the weights - not even sex.

Same here. After I work out, I do this thing called showering... makes you feel great and relaxes your muscles. Then I do this thing called tanning. Where you lay on your back(or front) deck or lawn, and relaaaax.

/fit/

Damnit, I just can't gain weight. I've been working out for probably 3 months and have gained 5-6 pounds. I lift 3 days a week (sometimes a 4th light day) and eat like a cow.

Monday: Bench, Squat 3x10 on each
Tuesday: Cleans 3x5, Shrugs 3x8, Deadlifts 3x10
Thursday: Bench, Squat

I do think my problem is I am just not eating enough, even though I do eat a lot. My lifts are increasing too, so this perplexes me.

So /fit/ what are your favorite healthy breakfasts? I need some new ideas.

Usually, I'll have a combination of:
Eggs, toast, Bran cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt.

What are the best choices for a healthy breakfast?

My breakfast while I was trying to lose weight always included Oatmeal, as well as something else that I changed daily to keep my metabolism from adaptation:

Kashi GOLEAN Oatmeal - 150 calories (I poured four Splenda packets, so add about another 13 calories for that)

and

Fiber One Original or Honey Clusters - 160-200 calories
or
English Muffin - 100 calories (has 8g of fiber!), also used some fat free cream cheese
or
Kashi GOLEAN waffles - 170 calories (used sugar free syrup as well, 20 calories every 1/4 cup)
or
half a cup of Egg Beaters with yolk and two pieces of toast - 160 calories (the toast was Nature's Own Wheat 40 calories per slice)

With this breakfast, you get a great amount of fiber and protein for only 300-360 calories. Enjoy.
