I went up to 70, but then i stopped being a faggot and started lifting HEAVY ASS WEIGHTS. Push-ups are nothing but a peanut.

30, used to be about 40 but I have neglected them since starting 5x5. Initial burst strength>endurance for me

I improved from 35 to 55 so far

I do them with the perfect push-ups. I can do 30 normal, bt I usually break them up into ten bicep, ten pec, and ten tricep. Every month I readjust my max.

Talks the truth
Push ups are for faggots. Go bench. Go incline. Get bigger faster. Scare off competition, or kill them. Don't build up endurance to try to fight them off in the long run. Kill now.

20 max. and i'm just 140 lbs at 6 feet :(

dunno how many push ups i can do in total since i've never done them, like a month ago i did 47 pushups in 1 minute though

this training isn't very good, you know. It is even contraproductive if you want your body to build some muscle mass. That's why your arms are so thin, and if you continue with that kind of "workout" they will always stay so. Do 5 x 12 push-ups, and do them veeeeeery slow. You'll see the difference in training.

spreads the stwronglift agenda. A proper training regime includes diversity.

As long as a compound exercise is hitting all the key muscles, then the only thing variety can bring is less boredom.

50 and 10 back pack pusups with around 25 lbs .

I do 100, I used to do 100 a day but my wrists started to get fucked.. so now I do 100 three times a week. Over that and it's just dumb I think.. I think after 50 the muscle is worked enough but I like 100 to push my strength/endurance. I do 10 sets of 10.
>> Anonymous
35 is my max.

Yep, I have no upper body strength.

I'm quoting myself because I forgot to mention.. I do 100 now but I used to only be able to do 5 seven months ago.. so yeah practice and commitment help a ton if you want to do more than 75 OP.. not sure if you were just curious or looking to do more.

I'd say breaking the 100 in one go is a totally different goal than building muscle. So I was fine with it not doing any effort in building muscle mass. But it's kinda frustrating to know it's doing harm actually. I want to build muscle AND get the 100 done.

Someone please tell me I'm not off the track there

50. 55 if I shit myself.

I do these fuckers every day so I hope to be at a much higher number in the near future.
>> Anonymous
Before 5x5 and similar training I could do 60. Now it'd be more like 30.

not meaning to pop your little pushup cherries, pushups have no correlation to max strength. im referring to non-beginners, but the MOAR pushups you can do (like 30-->100) will likely lead to a decrease in max strength.

so stop saying some fruit who can bang out 100 reps is 'stronger' than you.

My sensei can do 300 o.O

I never said i was stronger, I do 100 as a personal choice for endurance. I can prob do 30-50 and just stop each day. but I do 100 for myself. Not a big fucking hot shot who thinks he's stronger.
