Be realistic, what's a list of stuff I should start learning to prepare?

there isnt one answer. it varies depending upon your activity level, health conditions, genetic predisposition, and palate

Activity: medium-low
Health conditions: pretty solid
Genetic predispostion: heart failure is a concern
Palate: I like lighter foods, vegetables are what I dig most of the time

dont really have the time or energy to write you up a diet, but here are some tips:

-avoid or limit red meat due to your heart condition
-protein is always a great filler food because its low in calories, has a small fat turnover rate, also very satiating.
-protein before bed (cottage cheese)
-complex carbs in the morning and afternoon, sugars in the evening
oats
