It's always good to do exercises that work multiple muscle groups at once, or compound, and then to focus on certain muscles (like biceps for example), or isolation. Generally, machines are for maintaining, and not building muscle. Your muscles will break down a whole lot more using weights as opposed to machines. BUT, thats a a two sided coin. Using all the weights in the world will not be beneficial if your form is off. So I would say look up some exercises you wanna do online, try to mix it up, and make sure your form is your number one priority. Happy Hunting!
