Hey, /fit/
I'm an amateur mauy thai fighter. i have a problem, im only 5'4", normally everyone is taller than me, and longer reach. my manager told me when he was 18, he was 5'11" and now he's 6'3" at age 25.
so im hoping that i will be able to grow a bit too. i would be happy with another 2 inches of growth.

my question is, what excersies promote growth, and what type of diet should i be looking at? my current workout routine consists of heavy bag work, thai pads, and sparring.

pic somewhat related, he's 5'5" and is a damn good kickboxer.

OP try MMA, and try fighting in bantam or feather weight. You'll probably have a much better chance in MMA than muay thai. But of course you'll have to learn other things besides MT, such as wrestling, BJJ, etc. But with a strong MT background you will usually do very well.

You should check out Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto

The guy is the same height as you and whomps everyone. He has fought as high as lightweight, but now fights in featherweight. The guy is an incredible wrestler, he was going to probably go to the olympics, but suffered an injury and missed the try outs. But he is mostly known for his explosive, fast, and powerful stand up.

i laugh at you, you should be happy to be small, a harder target to hit is what you need to make yourself. become a deadly in fighter

I don't think you can do any exercise differently that's going to make you grow taller any faster. I think all you can do is develop more muscle through normal weight training.

I think this is your best shot. Make sure you've got a balanced intake of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Also, take a regular multi-vitamin supplement daily, drink a glass of milk daily and get plenty of sleep on a consistent schedule.

Also, OP, I'm guessing you're about 18 by the way you phrased the post so you really shouldn't worry about it. You probably have another 3-4 years left to get a little taller.
