As for HFCS, I don't know. There isn't really a ton of evidence that shows it's worse for you than fructose (fruit sugar). It's concentrated sugar fused with sucrose in the form of corn syrup.
I guess it's bad for you because you're getting sucrose in addition to fructose, so your body doesn't metabolize it as ideally as fructose.
