if i HIIT for five minutes, cardio for 30, and lift weights for 20 in one day, is this counterproductive? will i eat too much into my muscle or what have you? i just started HIIT and i'm not sure how effective it will be since i can barely move halfway into it and wanted to keep up on cardio just in case.

re: people who will say that i shouldn't feel like doing anything for the rest of the day, i don't, but i push myself beyond human limitations

You should* not lose muscle by working out too much as long as you consume a healthy amount of protein.

*Your body is made to burn fat before muscle so in 99% of cases as long as you eat even a minimal maintenance only amount of protein you should be fine.

so would i go by my body weight times .37 or by 1.2 for the amount of protein?
