Dear /fit/,
I'm 5'3 and 150 lbs. I do a lot of walking but I've never been much of an exercise person. I don't diet and would prefer not to make any crazy changes to my diet. I don't eat much. It's usually cereal (Honey Bunches of Oats 80% of the time and Cheerios that other 20%), a quick lunch (sandwich or a tv dinner) and a fairly normal dinner. No snacking for me. A lot of my fat is what I gained during pregnancy and I need to make go away. Quickly, if at all possible. So I ask you, what simple exercises can I do in the privacy of my own home with no special equipment to rid myself of this hideous belly fat?

What you'll probably want to do is reverse your eating and add one more meal. Breakfast should be your largest caloric intake, followed by lunch three to four hours later which should probably be a sandwich and some fruit. About four hours after that you'll have just a sandwich, and then "dinner" will be cereal. This will keep your metabolism running pretty well and allow you to burn fat.

If you can, and there really is no reason not to since they are dirt cheap, get yourself a little pedometer see how much you are walking per day.

One simple exercise is EAT LESS.
You have to eat less to lose weight. Sorry.

Also, to tone up, do push ups (knees if necessary) and some sit ups. And run.

If you actually wanted to look good, you'd work out at a gym and change your diet.

But I've written some copy pasta to deal with people like you, if you're serious about losing weight, you'll need more than this, but if you can't even do this, go back to the kitchen.

Breakfast: Eat Cheerios for breakfast, with skim milk. Not Honey Nut Cheerios... Cheerios. Drink water.

Snack: Some fruit. Drink water.

Lunch: Eat some sort of fish with vegetables. Drink water.

Snack: Some whole wheat crackers/chips. Drink water.

Dinner: Eat some poultry or very lean red meat with some brown rice/beans. Drink water.


Exercise:

Morning: Run around your block until you don't think you can run anymore, then run some more. Eat breakfast. Drink water.

Evening: Do sit ups till you don't think you can do anymore, then do some more. Same for push ups, lunges, chin ups, jumping squats. Do burpees. Eat dinner. Drink Water.

Night: Get 8 hours sleep.
