What is your opinion on Weighted Clothing?
I'm looking at http://www.beagamebreaker.com/ and was thinking if it fit well, would it be practical to wear it during the day so that my body would become used to the extra weight? (I do TKD) Will it make me faster, stronger, and have more endurance in the long run?

BUT IT IS!

Hard strength training 60 mins. a day 3 times a week > Slight increase in weight 18 hours a day 7 days a week.

wouldn't the body produce more muscle to counter act the effects? The joints on the other hand would just wear our faster...

That's like saying people with a shitload of fat get huge muscles to "counter" said fat.

some people do. I'm that way. Want to build up some muscle? start eating mcdonalds.

Whats eplosive reaction? Also that looks like expensive. I don't think you actually need anything other than a vest that you can load with weights. On arms and legs weight is a bad idea. Joints don't like the continuous pulling.

Is a weighted vest a good idea for crunches?

Weighted crunches are good, but I don't think you need a vest to do them. Sure you can jimmy them some other way.

Hold a disc weight to your chest, much easier.

So you're telling me that a person who weighs 250 pounds have legs that aren't comparatively stronger than a person who weighs 150 pounds?

Having more weight on you will increase strength in the legs, but not in a healthy manner. My roommate's brother is a fucking LOAD, but his calf muscles are HUGE because of all the weight they lug around all day.

yeah i was 260 and dropped to 190 my calf muscles are pretty giant.

Meh. Just move north of the arctic circle, you'll be wearing equal amounts to weighted clothing in regular clothing 9 months a year that way.

everyone knows that if a fat person becomes thin, they are generally stronger, not only due to the time it took them to reach normal weight, but the years they spent being obese

Yep. Being fat does make you have bigger muscles. Also wears out your joints. Just like weighted clothing. The only difference is weighted clothing is easier to take off. Perhaps better used only to add resistance during training. And also better to use vests, rather than ankle/wrist weights, as it will reduce strain when trying to rapidly stop a moving limb.

Sounds to me like you're trying to find an easy way to get fit. There are no easy ways. It always takes determination, pain, and time, and increasing one will decrease the need for others.

look chumps, let me tell you what I do
I weighted lift once every other day, and every day I run for cardio. When I am not weight lifting, I wear weighted vest ALL THE TIME (Except for dates, Sleeping, and jujitsu)
It has increased my endurance 10 fold. I operate with the vest as if it was normal. When I take it off, Im as light as a fucking feather, and Im way to quick for the other people in my jujitsu class to keep up with
Take that Pythagoras!
