Gym/nutritionfag reporting for duty.
Short version (long version requires your own research):
Caffeine is an amazing dietary supplement because not only does it accelerate metabolic activity, it also stipends hunger.
>I don't get it!
You eat less and your body burns more fuel, or, calories. Thus, they cannot be converted into fat, or, stored energy.
>But recent studies have shown that diet sodas can actually make you gain more weight than drinking normal sodas!
This is fucking retarded. This does not take into account the diet of the person, at all, only whether or not they drink a diet soda. My guess is that people who drink diet sodas think their diet is unpadded with the extra calories from soft drinks that do not have artificial sweeteners and thus eat in larger amounts and less healthy food.
>But can't you get CANCER from these!? I don't want cancer!
Unless you already have a predisposition to cancer (that is, has anyone in your recent family history had cancer, and what kind?), it would be quite difficult to drink yourself to death on diet soda.
Tips:
>Caffeine is a diuretic! It will make you expel liquids from your body in larger amounts and more often. Drink plenty of water!
>Caffeine in moderation is AMAZING! Even from diet soda! However, limit your intake of caffeine, especially in small amounts of time or from a single source (example: energy drinks). Large influxes of caffeine at once or high levels of caffeine consumption on average can lead to addiction, withdrawal, headaches, and liver damage!
Everything in moderation.
Also,>>64836, is wrong.
