Well, /fit/, time for me to start a regimen. I used to never care about being physically fit (6'2" and 250lbs), but I figure it's time to be able to run somewhere without just dying.

I've started eating a serving of Special K with a stick of celery every morning. For lunch, I'm eating a salad with orange slices and bits of tuna. For dinner, it's a serving of chicken with steamed asparagus.

Working out is mostly yoga and pilates from a book my mom has; Pilates for Everyone (which looks ridiculous, I know).

Am I doing everything right? What else could I do to help my system? Pilates and yoga is a 7-days a week thing with 100 situps every other day.

Thanks for any help (or cancer), /fit/.

I read about that. This picture is from May, and I've started doing the "eight glasses a day" thing with water. I've cut out all the soda from my diet. In fact, every time I feel like I really want something to chow down on, I chug a glass of water (every two hours, I have a couple baby carrots as a snack). The water really fills me up and helps a lot with feeling full.

Does eating multivitamins help? I heard that it's a good way to kick start whatever diet you've begun.

I also quit smoking. That should help.

Actually, quitting smoking will make it harder. Smoking suppresses appetite.

Multivitamins are up for debate.
I stay away from them; do some research. If you eat a balanced diet and get some sun, you will get or your body will make the vitamins you need. But that's my personal choice and /fit/ter people choose differently.

Which is why I started the water-when-hungry thing. But for health reasons, it will make exercising more worth it.

Sorry, that's not a workout.

If you really want to lose fat, you need to change your body composition. Diets don't work unless you plan to stay on the diet for the rest of your life, reducing caloric intake just causes muscle loss and a slower metabolism, which fucks you over in the long run.

Eat healthy, lift weights, and do cardio.
