Hey /fit/.

I was wondering if I did well this morning for breakfast:

1 packet of instant oatmeal
Half an onion bagel with a little butter on it
Small side of cantalope
Tall glass of milk

Hopefully I did, what do you think?

Did the instant oatmeal have sugar in it?
Bagel, not so good.
What kind of milk?

Instant oatmeal is bad, you want proper oatmeal/porridge
Bagel not great, butter worse
Cantaloupe good
Milk very good, whatever type. Choose depending on what stage you're at (cutting/bulking)

two and a half outta four, not bad but could do better. Good luck next time :)

2%, thats what we drink at home.
Ate the bagel cause today is my workout day
And yes, I'm transitioning into a new diet so I'm not totally into eating non-sweet things.

From going to eating no breakfast, and drinking maybe a soda and 3 bags of chips before work, I think it's a good start :D

It is a good start if you're just changing over, keep it up.

Bagel not good, what about wheat bread toast or something?
Maybe with some low sugar strawberry jam?

Not op, just curious, why is instant oatmeal worse than proper oatmeal? I usually have instant oatmeal for the convenience.

OP here.
Probably because it's processed, but that's just my guess.

Instant oatmeal loaded with sugar? Or just instant oatmeal? Instant oatmeal with sugar should be an obvious answer. I'd think the plain instant stuff would have to be processed more...

Processed, lower quality, high sugar, lower nutrients, etc.
For a more in-depth analysis, compare nutritional information on side of packs of an instant and a proper oatmeal.

where the fuck is the protein? seriously, that's all carbs except the milk. turkey or chicken sausage is great if cutting, or eggs.

Eggs ftw
Grilled/boiled chicken or other poultry is superior, if you can stomach it. Try mixing around which you make every day to keep it interesting.

Not cutting.
Just changing eating habits, and slimming.

Scrambled egg (2-3 eggs (or add whites if you're losing weight), a splash of skimmed milk) on wholegrain seeded toast with some spinach torn mixed into it about half way through cooking, and then some raw fruit or veg on the side makes an awesome breakfast.

Tastes great, is healthy, keeps you feeling full and takes about 5-10 minutes to make.

Cool, I'll certainly do that tomorrow morning :D
I like getting new ideas, because before now, I've really never eaten breakfast lol.
