Yes, depending on how hard/rigorously you chop wood.

ah... memories. i spent 2 summers doing that. just nasty shit work. cords and cords of wood.

you'll lose weight but won't get big. you won't see a noticeable increase in upperbody strength, but your lower back, hands and forearms will get stronger. enjoy the blisters, splinters, etc.
