The chest muscle is kinda useless in everyday activies that require strength.

It's so easy to build and get stronger though.

I want to trade them for more shoulders and arms.

tl;dr chest is a big stupid muscle

The chest is a meat shield that protects your vital organs. Also provides a strong base for stability. If you knew how to throw a punch, you would realize that a lot of the force actually comes from your chest and the arm is a kinetic chain that transfers the force generated from your chest into your fist and into your girlfriend's face, which is an everyday activity (for you)

Jabs = Forearm
Cross, straight, almost all those other punches = Torso + arm

hey lets have a quiz to show how stupid you are

lets guess what muscle flexes 1st before ANY type of punch is thrown....

calves/dorsiflexors/stabilizers of the ankle. and then go all the way up the chain. the difference in muscles recruited differ ONLY IN DEGREE, not type, by punch

Something about a big chest really turns me on.

Chest shoulders and lats provide all the upper body strenght for physical work. Arms just need to be powerful enough to keep up with it.

Punches are not everyday activities. This board is full of retards. Stick to lifting, and leave legitimate thought to the rest of us.
