Question about cardio/maximum heart rates. My maximum heart rate is 201, but recently when I've been doing HIIT, after I'm done I'll check my bpm and I will be somewhere around 214-18. Also, I'm not horribly out of shape, I have a resting heart rate of under 60.

tldr: what are the risks/advantages of doing cardio and pushing yourself to above your maximum heart rate?

maybe your heart can move at a speed that is needed for 214 - 218 BPM but cant sustain it for very long; hence you arent actually doing 214 - 218 BPM? kinda thing
