Sup /fit/ Ectomorph here,

Ive been at the gym for 4 months now, for the first two months i did Muay thai and did quite a bit of running and not alot of eating ,

I was 63kg when i started the gym now i am 71kg but i have not put on alot of fat at all.

I started the 5x5 basic str training from the FAQ on 7chan 2 months ago although i was just wondering

is 17 pounds ( 8kg) of muscle sound like an Ectomorph to
you?

Is this a reasonable gain?

The true answer is, who cares? If it works, keep doing it. A lot of big, huge, fat powerlifters began skinny and didn't have the "genetics" of a lifter until they started eating and getting bigger.
