best whey protein PROTEINMAN
I know whey protein is whey protein whatever brand you're using.. but i wonder which brands are perhaps top tier, if any. I have used EAS 100% whey and Met-RX whey. They are alright, i guess.. but i've seen guys on this board call those brands shitty..
>> PROTEINMAN
tldr; running out of EAS whey, what should i buy instead

Guys on this board call all whey shitty. Just get one that tastes alright and has a high whey content.

On a side note, not related to original topic. A mate of mine rekons Muscletech Creakic, Leukic, and Gackic is fucking imba/ hax. what does anyone know about these products? Safe to use? Natural? i mean.. if i'm gonna try them, i dont want to be like on steroids and shit.

I know Creakic is like a creatine compound, but the rest no idea. Whats the advantage of these versions? or is it all marketing?

creakic is creatine in pill form. leukic is leucine in pill form. and gackic is something which helps break down latic acid in your muscle tissue. no steroids there.

it is an expensive stack, but if you have the money it is worth while. be wary of gackic though, you won't notice when training turns to over training with it. i suggest carefully timing your workouts

ON gold standard whey is good and affordable. has a lot of whey isolates and bcaa/glutamine. I also have syntha-6 which is ridiculously expensive. I dont even know why it's better but it tastes good. has like 5 different types of protein, casein, whey c/i, egg. muscle milk tastes good but you need a scoop and a half just to get 23g protein and it's pretty high in caloric content.

tl;dr optimum nutrition whey is the best

syntha-6 and muscle milk both suck. low quality ingredients and overpriced. eas may be low quality but at least it isnt overpriced.

everything is 'relative'
minimal processed organic grassfed cow derived whey is superior to all listed, but the cost makes it 'less desirable' to most. (see poliquin's stuff).

the big thing to worry about in the completely unregulated supplement industry is if it ACTUALLY has what it says it does. i rather take quality whey concentrate (biotest's) that IS 100% of the product than ANY 'proprietary blend' that has any 'magic awesome great' ingredients, in which you'll get rice powder at best. ANY company that needs to market the shit out of its products to trick stupid meatheads is likely a fail product.

the list of popular brands that are QUALITY
-beverly
-biotest
-met-rx
-poliquin
-nature's best (isopure)
-optimum

EAS had a great product before it sold out and is run by MBAs now seeking a bottom line. it sucks now. note, what is NOT on this list. any 'mussel tech, bsn' shit, altho GNC does have 100% truth in labeling technically, more than almost any other products

all whey is not the same you dumbfuck

find a better MRP than muscle milk or gtfo
you're gonna gtfo, i guarantee it.
>> Anonymous
>>327942
and you probably have no idea what the difference between an MRP and PWO is.

whats a good pre work out shake or meal? so you want simple carbs and some protein? or complex carbs?
>> Anonymous
>>328457
complex carbohydrates errday, some protein is good but protein is mostly essential after workout
>> Anonymous
>>328125
wow, meal replacemant. tough one dipshit. maybe if you knew what you were talking about you would realize how bad muscle milk is. It contains low quality protein, so stop sucking on cytosports nuts and realize what the fuck you are talking about.

Syntrax Nectar. Best tasting whey protein ever. I've also heard good things about Isopure, I also hear that it tastes like shit.
>> Anonymous
I have heard good things about poliquins stuff and think Biotests "GROW 100% whey" is awesome. It dissolve so well and has a very smooth taste. no flavorings or anything just whey in a tub.
>> Anonymous
>>328521
come on, explain. low quality protein? you have no clue.

and cytosport is a shitty company with bullshit advertising, but muscle milk is a solid product.
>> Anonymous
>>328540
and fwiw, muscle milk being instructed to be taken after workout is bullshit.

>>328540
the only reason muscle caught on and remains such a hit is because it was the first protein powder to taste good. Other than that, its over hyped and overpriced. Much better brands, that taste just as good, for even less

anything here is win for the price, same shit

i myself use their egg protein, which is expensive shit, but it tastes 100000% better than goddamn whey
>> Anonymous
I thought EAS wasn't good because two scoops count as one serving, which is shit grams in general more than one scoop of other stuff.

I am content with ON gold standard whey. Taste is pretty good, and its cheaper than syntha6 or most of stuff I find with similar protein per serving ratio. 10 pounder is a fuck win for me.

>>328563
if you think MM is overpriced, you've only seen it at gnc.

i get 2.6 pounds for $24.
beat it
>> Anonymous
>>328591
10lbs optimum gold for $79.99 + shipping = about $84

84/10= 8.4
24/2.6= 9.23076923
>> Anonymous
>>328590
syntha-6 is garbage with protein coming mostly from whey concentrate. even if it was the same price it wouldn't be worth it.

>>328602
PWO vs MRP

fucking stop that shit and get a brain
>> Anonymous
>>328591
never go to gnc. the best I ever found mm was 4 containers for 80-85 at fitrx.com

apparently there is some guy on ebay who got a distributor's license and buys lots of powders and other supplements and passes them along for no to little profit. He is like robin hood for bodybuilders. The strength coach at my school used to have his contact info and got mm through him for 15 each.
But places like gnc got all pissy and tried to shut him down. He is sort of a myth now, who knows if he is still around
