sup /fit/

I started HIIT today. Since I didn't have a stopwatch, I had to make do with my watch. Oh, boy, was that really draining. After the first 30 seconds of sprinting I couldn't even jog properly. Yet I did it, although not exactly with 30 seconds of sprinting at times. (It's hard to look at the watch at night.) After the second sprinting came I was already too tired to jog. I didn't stop, though.

I want to ask: is this alright? It's my very first time in doing HIIT and while I was able to complete sprinting 8 times I rested for quite a bit (about one minute or so) before doing another sprint for the latter part of the cycle. Is this alright? Because I already felt my vision blurring, I slowed down and stop even if it were just 25 seconds past.

Since I'm relatively new to HIIT, I just want some help and aid/comments.

tl;dr: I started HIIT, and I couldn't follow the cycle strictly. Is this alright for now?

you shouldn't be resting so long in between, but you should feel like you are dying/your lungs are going to explode and only be able to do a few sets at first

i started with 30/30 for 5 min
