HIIT and eat Anonymous
Hey /fit/

I've been dieting and doing cardio for the past 2 weeks now, and going strong, feels great. I do have a question though. A lot of people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that its important in keeping your metabolism high. However I usually doing a cardio HIIT run first thing in the morning as soon as I wake up. I down two glasses of water, stretch, and hit the ground running. After that, I come back home, take my daily shit, and shower up, then eat breakfast (Oatmeal ftw). Heres my question, am I hurting my metabolism by dong a HIIT cardio before my first meal? My goal is weight loss atm, once I get that down, I'll focus on building muscle.

if you've nothing in your stomach when you go running, your body will be forced to burn fat (and some muscle) stores for energy. eating after running and HIIT is beneficial to your weightloss, but the effects on your metabolism seem irrelevant (NOT a dietician, just baseless assumptions) since you'll always need food, and once you stark bulking up with muscle you'll need to eat like a fucking monster all day anyways.

tl;dr you're on the right track.

Yeah, it usually takes me an hour to shit, shower, brush teeth, get dressed etc, so I think I'm good, thanks.

Question, /fit/

What are some good HIIT cardio exercises to do in the morning before breakfast other than running? This also means no biking, jogging, and so forth. I would love to go outside and run in the sun rise, but right now I can't, so I need some tips to substitute the running for the meanwhile.

Better idea:

Have a piece of fruit first thing when you wake up.
