Any yoga practitioners here? I've been wondering about this for a while. In high school, I used to do yoga twice a week for part of my phys ed requirement, which basically consisted of rolling out our yoga mats and imitating the instructor on a yoga DVD. The program on the DVD always had "mirror" versions of each pose; for instance if you would naturally use your right leg to lead in a triangle pose, the program made sure to also do an opposite version where you lead with your left leg. I'm interested in starting up yoga again, and I purchased an instructional book "Moving Toward Balance" by Rodney Yee and Nina Zolotow. My question is: should I make sure to do a mirror version of each pose when I practice, even though it doesn't specify to do this in the book?
..... sure.
for poses like triangles yes, do one on each side (left leg forward / right leg forward). All positions should be done on both sides (if possible) or else you'd end up really off balanced in your physique and strength.
i have mastered the suckowncock position
