I want to lose about 25 pounds. I'm 5'11' and about 205 which doesn't sound too terribly fat, but I have a pretty good sized gut and I'm starting to get tits. DO NOT WANT.

What would be the best routine to get into on a treadmill? Like, is it more than just "get the fuck on it and run a lot"? I'm wondering if there are certain ways to do it that are more effective than others.

Diet is something that I'm working on, so advice would be handy in that department, but I'm more interested in the exercise aspect of it.

Start with 2-3 weeks of solid long-distance running at a speed of 7 or higher. I'm talking 2-3 miles

When your legs get used to it, do HIIT.

4 minutes sprinting/jogging in 30s intervals
4 minutes resting
4 minutes sprinting/jogging in 30s intervals

4-5 times a week. Also change your diet.

No soda, no excess sugar, no pastries (brownies, cake, ect. Gone.)

Replace any cravings you have outside of your main 3 meals a day with fruit. I'm talking bananas and apples specifically. Breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day, if not, lunch. Eat dinner in proportion to how much you had for breakfast/lunch.

For you, try to eat about 2000-2500 calories a day.


It will be gone in no time.

Sounds good, the only catch is that I smoke a lot so the 7mph is gonna be a bitch..
