Hey /fit/ whats it like to faint? i've never passed out before, but lately i feel like i am.
>> Anonymous
Please tell me its not b/c your not eating or drinking enough water

I've fainted due to getting up too rapidly (night-time low blood pressure, happens to everyone). It's like everything goes sort of white from around the edges of my vision, and then I realize that my muscles are no longer holding me in an upright position properly. Then you hit the floor, hopefully with at least a little grace so you don't end up chipping a tooth or something, and eventually come to and find yourself flat on your face.

op here, thats the thing, i'm eating better then ever, and i only drink water all the time. so i dont think its that. I was told it might be an ear infection, but just in case i pass out at the doctors (those places give me the creeps) i wanna know what its like to pass out. =(

Sometimes when I'm PMSing I'll do this collapse-to-the-floor thing when I stand up which may or may not be fainting related. I can feel that my eyes open, but my vision is black. Also I can't hear really (it feels and sounds like I'm under water). My body is shaky and though my arms usually move in front of me to soften my fall instinctually, I basically just faceplant into the ground. I feel really tired and am vaguely aware of whats going on around me as I lie there but I don't really respond to anyone. I feel like I lie on the floor for only a minute or something, but I find out afterwards that it was more like a half an hour.

I don't know if that's an actual faint or what it is, but I'm really curious as to what real faints feel like and how similar my experiences in falling-over-and-lying-there are to their faints.

Half an hour at a time? Go see a doctor, dammit. That's not normal. Speaking as the guy from>>81853, I've only ever fainted for like single digit seconds at a time.

I fainted once in elementary from heatstroke. Can't really explain it, but..
You're standing there, doing your thing, talking, whatever, and then suddenly you wake up on the floor, with a concusion, vomitting up the lunch you had just eaten 10 minutes prior.
That's about how it was for me.

Tunnel vision recedes to no vision. Possibly tinnitus, hearing is usually lost. Lightheadedness before, of course. If you feel/see it coming on, it usually saves you a lot of trouble to just GET ON THE FUCKING FLOOR right then rather than fall without control.

I've only fainted from playing that STUPID fainting game back in like, middle school.

Maybe you start seeing stars for a split second before everything goes black and you come to on the floor and everything feels really tingly and you just feel wonky.

I've had heatstroke before. Loss of hearing, tunnel vision, I sat down for a bit and then got some water. Fucking choir robes in California.

Once, I blacked out after sprinting.

Finished my run (after cooling down with a brisk jog for 10 min), sat down and a few seconds later, I felt an extreme rush of pressure in my gut. The crushing feeling quickly made its way to my chest and up to my head and bam I was out.

I woke up about 30 seconds later. Friend thought I had had a heart attack and was ready to call 911.

You know the one where you hunch over and take really deep breaths really quick to make yourself hyperventilate, and then stand up really fast against a wall, arms crossed, holding your breath while someone pushes on your chest and you try to push against them with the air in your chest. Bam. You pass out just like that.

You can also do it by choking yourself, apparently, since it's also known as "the choking game" but I mean come on who is going to play "the choking game"??

Anyways, it kills braincells and is not recommended.

I played the choking game too in middle school. After hyperventilating in the prone position, I stood up really fast and had someone press their hands onto my neck, blocking my jugular.

It was weird, instantaneous blackout, and it felt like I was gone for a while but it was only two seconds because the guy who did it was laughing when I came to. My vision faded in like a camera effect.

Head buzzed and ears rung for about 10 minutes afterwards. Trippy, but not going to try it again.

i gave 6 vials blood once. got light headed. had to lie 20 minutes. also got painfully hungry for some reason. immediately ate something afterwards. i bicycled home afterwards. the moment i got on the bike i was wobbly. being a guy i take stupid risks like that anyways. i lived.

I usually feel dizzy before I realise I'm going to faint, so I go and lie down.

Last time I felt like that, I'd just got home from some night out somewhere and gulped down a pint of water as I hadn't drunk much. Throat was like 'OMFG' and I was dizzy and like shiiit.
