Health related question here.

Anyone have any experience with nootropics, particularly piracetam and choline? I'm going to be in grad school next year, and I have to be at tip top shape if I want to not be poor the rest of my life.

If so, what'd you think of piracetam? Was it enough, or should I use something else too?

Also, don't tell me I should use CNS stimulants like amphetamines (speed, meth, Adderall, etc), modafinil, or ritalin. I used to do a lot of meth, and I'm sick of it. I'm not touching that shit again. Ever.

dunno about any of that, but add fish oil to your diet for body and brain WIN.

Fish oil? What active chemical in it should I be looking for?

I don't know how well it'll work. I actually used to use piracetam long ago. Back in those days, though, I was using LSD, DMT, and mescaline 3-4 times a week. My brain was so fried and tripped-out all the time that I didn't know right from left. The stuff really works, though.

I just don't know how it'll work now that I'm sober, and if / what I should combine it with, or if there's something better to be taking.

I've tried it, and didn't notice any effects strong enough to convince me it wasn't just placebo.

Modafinil is great though, feels very different and much "cleaner" than conventional stimulants.

Let's get back to the crux of the matter - why do you need these stimulants again? Do you feel extremely tired when you're off a high?

I'm pretty sure lots more people finish grad school with top GPAs by using only caffeine and alcohol.

I wish they would do a truly long term study on modafinil (several years) so I could decide whether to take it or not.

Active ingredients in fish oil are EPA and DHA, both Omega-3 fatty acids. The other great source for Omega-3's is flax seed. Some is also found in canola and some nut oils, but nowhere near the concentrations of fish and flax.
