Soup /fit/

I've been lifting as a bodybuilder for a few years now but I'd like to switch over to power lifting.

I have a good powerlifting routine and all that, my only quest is-

How do I work up to my 1 rep max? How many sets should I do and at what % weight of my 1RM should I do them?

Thanks.

LIFT HEAVY. Lift at 500% of your 1RM, pussy.

This is how I did it: Start a basic strength training program like Starting Strength 3x5 or a Stronglift 5x5 for a few months. Whatever you can lift for 3 sets of 5 is around 80-85% of your 1RM. After 3-4 months of this, you can check your 1RM. Then find another training modality.

Okay so eather nobody understood me or you're all idiots.

I want my last set of bench to be my 1 rep max. What % of that should the sets before be to work my way up and acheve my 1 rep max with least difficulty.

You're supposed to do like ten reps at 70% and then ten reps at 80% and then do your 1rm.
