accutane initial breakout Anonymous
wow the Initial breakout sucks...
I envy the people who didn't have an initial breakout on accutane.
For those who had one, how long do you have to deal with this shit?

The first time I did accutane I didn't notice much of an initial breakout. My acne came back with vengeance due to a 2nd degree sunburn on my face and I had to go on a second course. That time I had a miserable breakout. It should only last a month at the longest, then you'll see results around the beginning of the second month, and may be acne free by the end of that month or the third.

i had some pretty horrible acne for like 5 years, trust me a month of breaking out is worth being acne-free.

consider a microdermabrasion for the scars, if they bother you. and best of luck.

Even with the initial breakout and the sun sensitivity and the dry lips - taking Accutane was one of the 3 best health related choices I made in my life. I am in my 30s now.

The other choices were allergy shots and having a cyst removed that I tolerated for years.

Remember, you ain't going to get no lovin' from the other sex until you get rid of the acne. So you can have a bad breakout for a few weeks, or you can have it sort of bad for the next 10 years.

OP here... Thanks guys. I really hope this breakout over soon. Any tips on how to make it better? or should i just let it be?

Mine lasted only two weeks. But it was fucking bad. It's been four months now and my skin is clear, just a little read. The side effects blow, but that's life
