ITT: Skin care Anonymous
OK /fit/. I really want to know everything I should be doing to protect my skin, and make it awesome. I want to have really good skin, and I want to keep it that way.
What do you do to care for your skin?

How do you people treat your atopic eczema? I've had it since forever and I treat it with moisturizers and cortisone cream which improves my condition for a while. My problem is that I can't get rid of the itch. Is there a way to lessen it?

Eat well. Your skin reflects your diet.

what i've been doing recently is taking 2 tbspns of this heinz organic apple vinegar. Clears your shit up RIGHT away, helps with your digestion and shit too, it's all around prime lifting material. Also, 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide 2/day, in liberal amounts, on my problem zones. As for scrubbing or anything, just rinse with lukewarm water just prior to BP.

I have really really dry skin, so the 2.5% is just about too much drying for it. Sometimes if my skin on my face is feeling tight, or flaky, I use a Cetaphil non-comodegenic moisturizer.

As for shaving, I normally have an electric but I left the fucking charger at college, so I've been rockin' with the gillette mach 4 for all summer. It's more of a hassle, can't shave while trolling, but I typically don't use aftershave, if anything I'll use the cetaphil.

Other than that I just try not to touch my face too much, at least with my hands. I'll also use 15 spf or so when I go to the beach, reapply every so often.

All that aside, though, what you NEED to protect your skin is sunscreen. If you're worried about not getting tan while wearing sunscreen, boo fucking hoo. enjoy your skin cancer. And btw, I load up on the spf 50 on my whole body before I go surfing and shit gets tan REGARDLESS of whether or not I'm wearing sunscreen. BUT I'm not getting skin cancer while doing it.
