hey fit,

X reps Y sets

how long is the rest time between each set supposed to be?
am i allowed to pause/wait a few secs between reps? or is that really just a set then?

it varies depending upon your goals. regardless though its never a good idea to rest beyond 5 minutes because lactic acid will begin to buildup

I have been moving straight from one set to another but different muscle groups. keeping going for arobic but giving each group some rest to get a better workout. that way the muscles are less tired.

but to answer your question as put a few seconds rest and same exercise IMO is just one long set. you are cheating your self.

wouldnt like do 10 reps and then waiting like 5 secs and doing another 10 reps be really 20 reps of 1 set???
