Sup /fit/? I had a question about eating. I'm currently eating five meals per day, once every three hours, for about 300 calories per meal. I usually eat breakfast IMMEDIATELY after waking up, as to get my metabolism out of sleep mode as soon as possible, then brush my teeth and carry on with my day.

My problem seems to be that when it comes time to eat my final meal, I've already been awake for 15 hours, which is about the time I should be going to bed to get a nice eight hours of sleep. Should I change my pattern for eating or just eat my last meal an hour or so before sleep and not really worry about it? If I ate my five meals two hours apart, I'd end up with a six hour gap between my last meal and sleep, which I think will hurt my metabolism. If I eat six meals a day at two hour intervals and make the calorie intake per meal slightly smaller, I'll have my last meal for the day after 12 hours of being awake, leaving 4 hours between my last meal and sleep.

Any suggestions?
