I'd like to get back into them. Any recommendations as to what is an easy to apply martial art?

Did TKD for about 3 years, along with MMA. Still do it sometimes, but not often because of college.

Do boxing.

I've done muay thai, american open, tkd, bjj, judo, capoeira, plain ol' kickboxing, some wing chun, taijutsu/ninjutsu, mma

safe to say that boxing or kickboxing is gonna be a great bet if you pay attention to the conditioning of your hands

Bigger question is does anyone stick with a single martial art long enough to get good enough in it to pass it along to future generations?

Easy to apply? I'd recommend Thai Kickboxing. Simple, powerful smashing. Of course, it's never simple to get a technique right. But it doesn't have all the stance bs that comes with a lot of traditional martial arts.

4 years of kung fu under my belt. Stopped when i went to college. Someday, when i can afford it and have the time to dedicate to an art, i will do it again.

Best shape i have ever been in my life...plus the best i felt. It will change your life...confidence and ability to face any challenge.

Not at all. If your opponent runs at you and clumsily grabs you while doing so, then lets you throw them to the ground, you're set for life.

I do Muay Thai. It's fucking hardcore.

Me too. I always leave covered in bruises (at least my shins do), but it's a brilliant Martial Art.

I do Boxing and Krav Maga for practical purpouses...but for a damn good workout, I do Capoeira

No, but I miss Kyokushin.

It's a basic Karate style, but it focuses more on being fit rather than fancy crud.

Kendo two and a half years, tai chi one year, kung fu about nine months. I'd highly recommend all three of them to anyone.

Anyone care to share their experiences with wing chun? I've been seriously looking into studying it.
