hey /fit/

I weigh about 210 and I'm 5 foot 10. My BMI (tested by conductivity) is approx. 20%. My physician tells me that I'm obese and need to work out (she isn't the one who measured my BMI). However, I'm an endurance swimmer and practice every day for about two hours. Turns out I have more bone mass than the average person; I can't even fit wrap my middle finger and thumb around my wrist from how wide the bone is. Anyone else have this problem? how can I reduce bone mass, or am I just cursed?

BMI isn't a percentange and they don't measure it using conductivity.

I can't wrap my index finger and thumb around my wrist, but I can wrap my middle finger and thumb around.

It's just genetics. There is nothing wrong with having more bone mass Just means you have a larger frame.

Ideally you should almost eliminate your calcium intake. That will essentially reduce the mass of your bones and diminish your frame to normal proportions, without losing height or strength.

Don't know why you'd want to lose bone mass.
