Dear /fit/guys

I've been working on an exercise plan for about a year now. At first I started with basic walking to build up my stamina, going about a mile. Now I'm running an average of 5-7 miles a day in 40 minutes or so. I vary my exercise routine with speed, distance, and terrain. I've gone down from 205 pounds to 180, and dropped my BMI about 15%. I've lost man-boobs and a pot-belly. I do weight-machines for shoulders, arms, back, and legs on off days.

On the other hand, it seems no matter how hard I work I can't drop my weight below 180. According to weight charts my BMI is 1% above the acceptable means. I've cut soda and sweets from my diet and are eating smaller, healthier portions with lots of whole-grain foods, fruits, and vegetables. But still, I have a slight belly.

What should I do? Before you say SQUATZ, or DEADLIFTS, bear in mind that I won't do deadlifts, or unassisted weightlifting, because I've seen people seriously hurt themselves that way, and know someone whose father died doing bench-press. So with that in mind, what do you suggest in terms of dietary, chemical, or exercise recommendations?

I'd highly recommend 6-8 miles a day in 35 minutes.
