What's up /fit/izens?

So a few years back, I went and tried to get contact lenses so I wasn't such an ugly nerd, but failed miserably. I could never get them into my eyes. It wasn't a matter of blinking or anything, it was just my facial structure made it very difficult. The optometrist said skull above my eyes was a bit large which made it harderd to get in.

I'm going to give it another try so I can be a reasonably attractive person compared to now, anyone have any suggestions on getting those damn things in my eyes?

No, I was given that shit reasoning before. Have you ever looked at an asian's face? They're completely flat. Sure, their eyes are tiny and slanty, but they have plenty of space to pull their eyelids to. I don't because there's a huge bone in the way. I'm sorry I have a three-dimensional face.

they will supply u with lotion

the lense will go naturally into ur eye

after awhile it will become normal

contact lenses are the way forward

Quite the opposite for the genepool

If you have a big forehead, try tilting your head back, hold your upper eyelid to your forehead and your lower one all the way down, place lens on eye, WAIT FOR IT TO STICK TO YOUR EYE, THEN BLINK THEM IN. The last two steps are absolutely necessary for me, "blinking them in" never worked.

They are just a pain in the ass to get in. My eyes kept rejecting them and flipping them out. But if you stick with it long enough shit should stick son.

OP is a complete retard and is blaming his incompetence on an imaginery bone condition.

I used to have a really hard time with contacts, too. Relax your blinking muscles (it helps to open both eyes at once). Don't look at the contact lens or the finger holding it -- that will just make you tense up. Look past it into a mirror or something. Make sure your fingers and the skin around your eyes are bone-dry, so you can prop open your eyelid without squinting. And like someone else said in this thread, wait for them to stick on to your eyelids, and don't blink until after. Think of them like little suction cups; if you press too hard on your eye, they won't work.

Poking your eye repeatedly and trying to manipulate a clear film the size of your fingernail is a recipe for frustration. So don't sweat it if you get a little pissed at yourself for being such a clumsy, neanderthal-browed oaf.

I do it with one hand. Lens on index, middle finger pulls lower lid down, tilt head down and insert.

Pull your lower eyelid down. Push the contact onto your eye, so that the bottom of it is right above your lowered bottom eyelid. Look down. Blink.
Here is a picture to help you.
