/fit/ I'm trying to find a way to get myself into a daily workout routine, but I'm having a hard time coming up with the energy.

So here's some background; I'm an engineering student and I'm currently taking 16 hours. I find myself needing extra energy to get through the day and I'm pretty sure the biggest reason is just because I'm a fatass. I'm 6'3" 280lbs. I know that if I lose some weight I'll have more energy, but I can't seem to muster up the needed energy to work out. I try to set my alarm early so I can lift weights, jog, or ride my bike but if I had a long night I'll just sleep through my alarm. I have cut back on the calories and shitty food in general which has already had an effect, I've lost 10 lbs in the last 8 weeks, but I've been hoping to have some quicker results.

So if you were overweight and in school, how did you find the time/motivation/energy to work out and lose weight?

All dicks, but their message is clear and true. Sleep earlier = wake up earlier = time to spare for exercising.

Running, hard as you can for about ten minutes a day, will give you the best results, but you should just jog for the first few days to not over-strain yourself. As a bonus you'll feel great afterwards and have more energy overall. Lifting weights is just for muscle building (you'll probably gain weight if that's all you do) and riding a bike is less effective than running. Also also make sure you have good workout clothes; black shirt (minimizes embarassment for me), shorts and shoes that fit tightly (I stress this), and a headband to keep sweat out of your eyes (reaching up constantly to wipe your brow is bad).

Sorry, but 10 lbs in 8 weeks is pathetic.

Ten pounds a month would be worth commenting on. The other is a poop and dehydrated vs. full of food and hydrated => nothing to comment on.

Diet will get you the farthest and easiest, but wont give you spare energy. Diet and resistance training will get you farther. Diet, resistance training, and cardio will get you farther, but is full of fail.

Either you want it, or you're happy with your man-boobs. Can I ask: are they perky in the cold?

running, at 280lbs? that's stupid.
