So, the whole bulking/cutting thing really bums me out. I hate stuffing myself and ONLY SQATZ. I hate starving myself and only alternating LSD with HIIT.

Is it possible to essentially maintain the same weight, but burn fat and gain muscle over time. Like, is it possible to set yourself up for a 1 or 2 pound-worth-o-calories deficit so you drop those pounds, but eventually gain it back up in muscle by SQUATS-N-OATS and not adjusting your calories from what it was when you weighed 2 pounds-ish or more?

It's been said that if you eat REALLY cleanly and still get plenty of protein with a program like 5x5 or starting strength, at some point you start to burn off some of the fat.

whether it's true or not I have no idea, I'd rather eat like a pig so my gains wont suffer.

Would it be possible to zig-zag between something like

18 cals x BW + Stronglifts and 3 or 4 day cardio one week

and

16 cals x BW + Stronglifts, 3 days HIIT, 4 days LSD the next

Or would that not be effective?
