Electromagnetic radiation is based on wavelength. Radio, microwave, and visible light are all electromagnetic waves, just with different wavelengths. There are two categories of EM radiation: ionizing and non-ionizing. Ionizing radiation, like ultraviolet light and x-rays, can damage your cells and potentially cause cancer. Hence, skin cancer comes from the sun's rays (the ultraviolet part).
Nuclear radiation is entirely different.
Your phone does not puts out neither ionizing nor nuclear radiation.
