I had the same problem as you a few months ago when I first started. I drank protein shakes, ate more than an entire obese family of americans and still didn't gain any muscle. (I just gained a little fat.)
I worked out every day, slept 7-9 hours a day, and didn't get why I didn't bulk up. Being the spineless faggot that I was, I quit.
It wasn't until two weeks or so after that I noticed that I had actually gained muscle over the time that I gave my time body to rest.
tl;dr, you might be overtraining.
