Hey /fit/.

I work as a data entry clerk at a local office so I don't make much money. What I do make ends up going to bills and cheap food.

Unfortunately, however, the cheapest things are all shitty foods. (Really fatty things and whatnot.)

Is there anywhere I can shop/any decent, healthy foods I can get on an extremely tight budget? (After bills I honestly have about $50 for food per week if I don't buy anything else like shampoo, toothpaste, clothes, etc)

Pic unrelated but I'll look like that if I continue to eat this shit.

Inb4 Exercise lardass, etc. I exercise about 5/7 days of the week. I just need to eat healthier. (I already drink a fuckton of water, since it's pretty cheap.)

Spend some money on a Costco or Sam's Club membership. Buy food in bulk, but make sure it's healthy.

OP is full of ABSOLUTE bullshit

'good food' is not always expensive.

protein and good fat are not always expensive, buy frozen fruit and essoteric veggies (spin=$6/lb vs red kale = $2/lb) for organic.

funnier yet is the fact you likely allocate 100 for a weekly bender with the bros and still go out to eat, etc. then complain your food costs too much and you 'MUST HAVE' your silly NO2 products, etc.

you only need a good multi, the rest is superfluous, a good protein may save $ if used instead of eating out.

oats are cheap as shit.
so is milk

First off, it depends on where you live.

Where I live, milk is NOT cheap as shit, for example. A gallon of milk here is fucking $5, as opposed to the $2.50 it was a year and a half ago.

Oats aren't as cheap as they were before either.

I'm not defending OP but honestly, there are people out there that don't make a whole lot of money, Anon. It doesn't mean they're lazy, it means that the job market is shit, the world is shit, and you are shit.

To OP: If there's any whole foods chain stores close to your area, they actually sell good foods that are relatively cheap. Or go with the costco/sam's club idea. Bulk-buying makes things a lot cheaper.

What the fuck, I use like 60 bucks every 2 weeks, and I get enough nutrients.

You're just not trying hard enough.

Hey OP:

I am a poorfag college student, and this is what I have found to work, in terms of eating healthy, with a slim budget, and rigorous schedule.

1. Buy local, buy bulk, buy in season. Freeze your vegetables and fruits, if you're unable to consume them before expiration.

2. Make your food last. Buy some sort of meat in the beginning of the week (a whole chicken is perfect for this), and make at least four dishes with it. A whole chicken isn't very expensive, and if roasted, there's one meal. Cut the rest of the meat off, and use it for sandwiches, chicken salad, pot pie, etc. The bones and gizzards are perfect for making stock for soup. This can be applied to beef and pork, too.

3. EAT RICE! Its cheaper than pasta, fills you up faster, and has more fiber.

I'm able to keep myself fed, healthy, and fit on $20 a week by doing the above.

Frozen Vegetables. Fish(any kind, tuna, fillets). Chicken Breasts without the skin, little pricey but you can get a few pounds for less then like 3 shitty TV dinners. Brown Rice. Beans. Oats. Get the non-shitty wheat bread.

I pretty much live off of these, and spend maybe... 25 dollars a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
