A few months ago I had lower back pain too OP. I freaked out got all paranoid and read a lot about lower back pain, and back pain in general. I'll try to sum up what I learned reading about it. Lower back pain can be caused by many different things. Stress. Strain. Inflammation. Herniated disc. Some people with horrible herniated discs have no pain at all. Having a herniated disc is inconclusive, and a doctor rarely would be able to tell what is causing the problem. DON'T REST FOR MORE THAN 48 HOURS. You will atrophy the muscles that support your back, and make the pain even worse. WHEN YOU CAN go for walks. Walking will strengthen muscles that support your back. Eventually work into a CORE strengthening routine (when you don't have pain doing a routine). Strengthening your core will make it easier to support your back, decreasing pain, and preventing injury.
