blackheads /fit/ fucking blackheads. Picture related but not me.

On my nose i have them really prominantly, when i look in the mirror they're the first thing they see, shit fucking sucks.

I have no idea to get rid of them, I'm a clean guy, I shower every morning, sometimes at night, but if i dont i always wash my face. I even use those shitty strips that do nothing what so ever for me.

I buy blackhead scrubs, i buy special cleansers, i even resorted to wiping my nose with tea tree oil wipes during the day. But they just wont go away.

does any mis/fit/ have the same problem? or maybe cured it? I'm at the end of my tether...

I get them too on my nose. have no idea how to get rid of them besides popping.

Same. This is extremely relevant to my interests.

I try to pop them too, and this yellowish stuff sort of spirals out and i clean that away, but it hurts and leaves marks on my nose, and doesnt seem to do anything else either :(

I find good walk in fresh outdoors does wonders, country air moreso than city. Especially in summer, if I do activities outdoors, they clear up in no time.

I've got those bastards aswell. The blackhead scrubs and shit works alright but i found tht steam gets the fuckers out (saunas, bowl of hot water with towl over ur head....tht sort of thing)

I've had the same problem, I think I tried everything on the the fuckingshelves. I'll be seeing a dermatolagist soon. There is prescription strength stuff for blackheads, like Retin-A or Differin Gel. Hopeful they actually work, unlike every other goddamn thing.

I've been scrubbing my face with a wash cloth every morning and before I sleep for a month.

And I've been using Spectro Jel twice a day for almost a week.

Still have tons of blackhead.

I heard that blackhead removal is part of a basic facial. They steam your face and then use a tool to extract them. However, I don't know of any places that give facial to guys.

I'm going to buy St. Ives facial scrubs a try in another week.

St. Ives facial scrub is kinda bad for your skin and won't do shit for your blackheads, I've used it. Get an exfoliating wash that has "gentle microbeads" or something gay like that. But they haven't done anything for me in terms of getting rid of blackheads either. They do make the rest of your skin nicer though so they're hardly worthless.

Buy those oil blotting tissues. If oil is your problem this is your fix.. but since you have an extreme case I would probably just use them in the blackhead problem area to save money..

also the reason you are getting more oil is because you're just using a face wash and not putting any moisture back into your face. so your skin is dry and says WELL LETS MAKE SOME OIL.. if you moisturize then nevermind

please make a a thread and report back if the St. Ives has any effect, good or bad.

Do you people try sweating? Even my microbiology professor says that sweating through exercise clears out your pores. That or some kind of skin cleanser.

I've noticed this. After I workout, if I run my nails over my nose or forehead, I tend to get a lot of dirt under them. But it doesn't seem to completely do the trick

Oil Cleansing Method

A basic tenet of any chemistry is the concept that "like dissolves like". In other words, polar substance tend to form solution with one another, and that nonpolar substances tend to form solutions with one another. Polar and nonpolar substance do not tend to form solutions with one another, however. Oil, a non-polar substance, will never form a bond with water or another polar substance, which is the mechanism by which solubility is attained. In laypeople's language, oil can only be dissolved, or broken down, by something that is like it. What is more like oil than oil itself? Oil, in itself, does not cause pimples or blackheads. Cysts, pimples, blackheads and other blemishes are a result of several factors, including heredity, hormones, bacteria, dirt and grime and buildup of foreign substances.

How to Cleanse with Oil:
1. Liberally apply a layer of oil to the face. You may also apply to the neck and chest. Oil should be applied over any dirt, grime or makeup.
2. Run a face cloth under very hot water, wring it out and drape over skin. Relax for a few moments, until cloth is room temperature.
3. Massage oil into steamed pores for at least 60 seconds, and up to 5 minutes. Concentrate on trouble areas, such as chin, forehead and nose, where blackheads tend to form. Be very cautious and maintain a gentle touch, and do not scrub, or skin will be raw and tender.
4. Steam face again, using a hot face cloth to open pores and allow oil to loosen sebum trapped in skin. This step may be done a number of times, if skin is troubled or has tended toward breakouts.
5. Using a very soft face cloth (you may use the steam cloth, if it is very soft), gently wipe away all traces of oil. Again, be cautious and ensure that wiping is done very gently, or skin will become irritated. Flannel is an ideal fabric for this step, but any cloth may be used. Rinse cloth at intervals and continue to wipe away impurities and oil until face feels soft and there is no trace of oil left.
6. Splash face with cool water to close and seal cleaned pores.
7. Pat dry, and apply a very thin layer of moisturizer to face. One small drop should be plenty for moisturizing purposes. Rub between palms and massage into skin until no film is left. You may use the cleansing oil for this step. Many people find, especially during the warmer months, that the additional moisturizer is no longer necessary. The cleansing oil is enough moisture for many people's skin, in and of itself.
If you have had success with this method, and would like to simplify your routine, we recommend eliminating the first steaming session, massage face for approximately one minute, steam face through one cycle only, then wipe off oil and pat dry.

'm not an expert here but from my experience and from what I've read, the castor oil is the important part of ocm. It's what really lifts out the dirt and blackheads.

When I do ocm, I apply pretty firm pressure and I concentrate a lot of my time around my nose area just moving my finger tips in circles. As I'm doing this I can feel stuff coming out of my pores. They feel like little grains of sand. I just continue until it seems like nothing else is coming out.

Then I take a hot wash cloth (as hot as I can stand), ring it out and lay it on top of my face, pressing it down around my cheeks and nose until it cools, about 30 seconds, then wipe the oil gently off my face. If you have a really high magnification mirror (the kind where you can really see every nook and cranny of your face), use it as you're wiping the oils off and you can see the gunk coming out of your skin better. Then you can actually see it working.

Also, I find this all works best if I put the oils on my face when it's dry. I've tried wetting my face with water first and did not have as good results.

They say to use more olive oil for moisture and more castor oil for cleansing. Maybe try using 75% castor oil and 25% of the oil of your choice for greater cleansing action and see how that works for you.

Squeeze them out before a shower, than use a towel and scrub them. i used to have them pretty bad now they're clearing up. I know the squeezing is disgusting but it works.

Biore pore strip muthafuckers, ever heard of it?

You fucking wash your face and dry it, then splash more water on your face, and stick the fucker on your nose. Wait for around 30 min till it's hard like a plaster cast, then peel it off from the sides towards the middle.

Now go forth and eradicate.

God damn, I am sick of every fucking blackhead thread that appears. We have one every fucking day, I am fucking tempted to make a thread on cosmetic hygiene and ask the mods to fucking sticky it. GAAAAAH!

Oh gawd did you just suggest somebody put CASTOR OIL on their fucking face? Every once in a while I see sad fucks using rubbing alcohol and toothpaste, but this just takes the cake.

Your "method" works about the same as putting cold cream on your face to remove makeup. Chances are, cold cream works better because the skin and the dirt on it responds better to water than oil.

pore strips dont work on everyone fagot didnt u read the thread, most of these ppl have already tried the common methods READDAN COMPREHENSION WINS AGIAN!
>> Anonymous
>>93276

I know what you fuckers do: you fuckers forget to completely clean the face with cleanser and water beforehand and also can't wait the 30 minutes to make the pore strip go hard.

Then you fuckers whine about how this shit doesn't work.

If you fuckers can't even fucking read and comprehend the fucking instruction on the back of a pack of pore strips, you oughtn't lord it over me insisting that I lack comprehension skills.

actually no? I bought proper dermatological strips, not the $0.99 cent ones teenage girls use. I follwed the instructions 100% and they still didnt work for me, the blackheads remain lodged :\

>>93288

No. I washed my face twice with Cetaphil, applied strip, and watched TV for an hour before removing it. Shit did nothing for me.

I have had blackheads on my nose for as long as I can remember. Ive been using blackhead cream with those "microbeads" in the shower for over 3 years now. Sure my nose looks okay for an hour or so, but when I get to work the shit hits the fan all over again.

>>93288
Hey buddy, but you're being kind of ignorant here. One method does not work for all. I use the blackhead nose strips, leave on for 20 minutes, slowly remove, and visually see the 50-60 blackheads it pulls from my nose. But A) it doesnt get all of them, maybe 1/3rd, and B) the shit just resurfaces again in 1-2 days, making it pointless.

My nose is also very oily for whatever fucking reason, the rest of my face is fine. I am fucking sick of this shit going on with my nose. Has anyone been to a dermatologist about this nonsense? Any news about being prescribed medicine that works against blackheads? Im at my shit's end.

St Ives works like a muther fucker for me. Totally cleans out my pores if I scrub good.

I think a lot of it is hormonal, especially during your teenage years. My greasy face has started to clean up now I'm 19.

Get used to them, you'll likely have them for a long time. Old fag here. I've still got them now, long past the age they should've stopped.

Good news: since blackheads are mostly sebum trapped in follicles and pores, it means your skin is still producing enough material to keep your skin soft and pliable.

Bad news, it means you have black heads.

I've never had them really bad (like cystic acne), but I've had them consistently since I was a teenager. For about 12 years, I've used daily Clinique's soap, scruffing astringent and cream when I shave. About 1 year ago, I started using Clinique's exfoliant to remove dead skin. I still get them, but it's never been out of control.

So I pop them.

Point is, spend what you want, but many of you that have them won't out grow them

pop em' then clean the pores with hot wather and a cleaner then rinse of cleanser with cold water to close porse...or put ice on nose to close pores

or go swming in teh ocean heaps as sans and salt are the best exfoliants

or exfoliate

but always remeber the cold water/ice
closing the pores after cleaning them out is very VERY important
VERY!
