I'm learning how to ride a bike for the first time. When I was younger, my family couldn't afford bikes, and I never gave it any thought until now, 19 years later.

Do you have any tips?

Just keep riding. :)
You'll get used to it.

Use your arms to keep the bike from falling sideways, sounds odd, but you'll get what I mean.

Probably a troll, but from pity, i'll give in.

You may want to get some removable training wheels to attach for the first few rides, you will look silly.

I learned when I was 14, just bring along some music and be prepared to pick yourself up a good few times. Ignore any assholes that give you funny looks.

when you're riding you have to realise that you don't turn the handle bars to turn the bike, if you want to turn you have to lean slightly in the direction you want to go, and the handle bars will move by themselves, just use your hands to stabilise yourself and control how much the handlebars are turning. If you turn them yourself it's likely you'll fall on yo ass

lolol, im' 23 and can't ride a bike. went through lots of growth spurts when i was little, outgrew my handmedown bike before i even rode it.

anyway, i can kinda ride now, but mainly the trick is have some balls and try to go faster, it'll help your balance. also, turning into the direction your falling helps
