Heavy Bag workouts Anonymous
Can you get the same type of cardio results with this as you can with running? The high intensity high heart rate is similar to that of running, no?

Say I do 2minute rounds 6 times with half minute breaks. Similar fat burning as running?

thats not real cardio. real cardio involves the legs. the legs are a big muscle group and u need to pratice them think squats.

If he isnt using his legs when he is doing a heavybag workout he is doing it wrong. So yes, it will give similar results, but not exactly the same because you are working your body in a different way. Also, mix in some jump rope and youll be better off.

OP here. Jump rope, got it. I know I sound like an idiot but I figure it's worth asking, do squats burn fat or build muscle? I've got some pretty muscular legs but I'm trying to lose the little fat around my stomach.

take muay thai classes. just wailing on a bag wont do that much for you. but actually circling, kicking, punching, kneeing etc etc will.

As long as you get your heart rate up it doesn't matter what the fuck you're doing, it's still good cardio.

its more efficient do use ur legs. i can flail my arms around for 0,3 hour and it would be the equivalant of doing 5 minute of high kicks
