there's a good chance that you already have good abs, you just need to lose more body fat. if you have poor-looking abs and low body fat, it's also possible that it's just genetics: remember, exercise can't change the shape of the muscle, only the size.
as for specific exercises, squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses are enough for me. the job of the core is to protect the organs and, more importantly, stabilize the body, and exercises that use the core to stabilize the body are enough, IMO.
