so /fit/...I work in a hospital and know this can be a major problem. But want to know if it's related to what I drank.

I just vomited, was coffee ground color. Thing is, I drank 2 cups of coffee and half a can of diet coke this morning. I'm really hoping it's only related to what I drank.

I suppose I should just really rush to the ER, but I'm fucking broke.

Yea...I usually drink cups of coffee in the mornings a couple times a week.

if your vomit stuff colored like coffee ground it could also be a gastrointestinal bleeding. better go to the ER

that's what I'm hoping it's not. I'm hoping it was coffee ground colored because I just drank coffee. Drinking some water now, if I do it again I've got no choice but to go.

Well... why are you vomitting?

It sounds like the cancer has metastasized and spread to a secondary tumour in your stomach.

At this point, any treatment is going to be about making your final weeks comfortable rather than trying to remove the tumours.

If your state allows early voting, I'd take advantage of that now.

Coffee ground colored, or actually looks like coffee grounds?

Seriously: big difference.

If it looks like coffee grounds, it could mean that you have an upper GI bleed. This is serious. Not quite as bad as vomiting bright red blood, but still pretty bad.

Usually, you will repeatedly produce coffee ground-like emesis.

If you just threw up some stuff that was the color of coffee grounds (without the texture), and you only threw up once, and you're not feeling dizzy or have any other symptoms, it's probably nothing. So man up, you nancy.

so how come you work at the hospital but have no health insurance? that sounds like an interesting paradox.
OT though, what did you eat before vomiting? it is not entirely unlikely that coffee colour could effect color of other things, it can be used as dye and such.. but I would still be a bit worried
