sure
just be aware that:
the strech marks will remain
you'll probably have loose skin
you may have some gyno that may need surgery

But yes, you can be saved. Seen much worst in my day. Learn to diet. Learn to lift weights. Learn to HIIT

Seriously though you can do it, it'll take buckets of sweat and tears plus the better part of a year.

The doctor said it was just body fat, I already did the scan for my chest and my testicles (to make sure my testosterone is fine, it is) quite a while back.

I swear loose skin is a myth, i work in a gym and not one of the fatties that stayed the course (one, two or even three years) has loose skin.

A couple were worse than you, could manage like 5 mins on the tread mill and just did the weights, now they're like 140lbs light and look amazing for it. They dont have any loose skin at all. The human body is really an amazing thing, even after years... decades of punishment it can begin to heal itself with a bit of care and attention.

The only people i see with loose skin are the cheating cunts who have gastric bands fitted. Eurgh...

start with Sport and watch what you are eating:
don't go like "I have to loose weight" but go for healthy food. Sport and healthy food will bring you to a normal structure.

It takes time so don't be discouraged too fast:

Loose skin comes from very extreme cases of rapid weight loss. Usually, it's a problem for those 30+ 800 pound or more people who have been severely obese most of their lives. Then they check into a hospital and lose like 300 pounds in 2 months. That's where loose skin really comes from.

I don't think OP or most people have to worry about it.

Stretch marks are scar tissue. Like most scars, they will fade a bit with time (we're talking 4-5 years here), usually with a couple of tans. If you're so self-conscious about it, ask a lady friend to get a tub of Jungle Bronze or some other well-trusted fake tan for you to cover up in the meantime.

You can prevent stretch marks by keeping your skin supple with lotion rubs like the pregnant women do, but once they're there, that's it.

>> Anonymous
>>92491

Scars can be surgically removed, this includes stretch marks.
>> Anonymous
>>92498

Nuh uh. I know what kind of scars you are talking about, and stretch marks unfortunately aren't that type They go well into .

Stretch marks are literally when parts of your skin rip apart to make a chasm. See how it's all red in OP? That's because the stretch marks are fresh and it's filling with blood. It's a chasm well into the dermis, the second layer of skin, which lasers aren't allowed to penetrate to.

In ordre to remove a stretch mark, you have to get a skin lift or a tummy tuck, which essentially cuts off the entire area of skin and sews the surrounding area up together.

Oh cool, my thread got more responses! Just came back from walking to the gym (30 min), doing the elliptical (30 min), walked back home (30 min)

Furries can burn in hell. This is from my mother's ex-boyfriend, we got it when they broke up. She wanted to throw it away but I thought it was kinda cool, so I kept it.

I'm 6'1" and I weigh 264 lbs (just checked on the weight scale at the gym today) - I was never this overweight before. Last year, I weighed about 200 pounds but that was before depression hit me big time and when I took P.E.

My nipples are very puffy, almost inflated-like. I can take a picture of them when they are hard if you would like to.

I don't understand why people are bitching out the OP. This is /fit/, not /b/. Go be a fucking moron somewhere else.
OP, what you need to do is calculate your BMR (go here http://health.discovery.com/tools/calculators/basal/basal.html ). Now, from that you will find how many calories your body burns just existing. This means sitting down, doing nothing. Spend one week eating healthy food AT or below that amount of calories. Spread it out across 5-6 meals. This will wake up your metabolism. If you don't exercise now don't even worry about exercising for this first week, you will fail if you set your goals TOO high.

Give yourself a cheat meal at some point in the week. Try to last as long as you can, but if you're going to fail, go ahead and eat whatever you want. And by meal I mean a meal, not 2 bags of doritos covered in cheez wiz with 6 liters of soda topped off with 2 dozen krispy kreme donuts. Go to your favorite restaurant or something and eat a meal of whatever you want.

From here, figure out a diet plan that is from 200-500 calories LESS than your BMR. This, added with cardio training (next post) will lead to steady, even weight loss.
>> Anonymous
>>92516
(continued)

The ideal workout schedule for most people is a daily cardio exercise to get your heart rate up and burn calories, followed by stretching. After stretching, do weight lifting every *other* day to tone muscles or bulk up. If you're not sore and tired, you can at least do some cardio that day. STICK TO YOUR SCHEDULE. Missing a day leads to missing the next day leads to slippery slope leads to weighing 400 pounds and benching 90. You can NEVER AFFORD TO MISS A WORKOUT.

Basically, Find a cardio exercise you can do. Because running wouldn't be the best idea starting out, as it will put a lot of stress on your legs, use a bike or elliptical. Start out just doing a 30-40, mid-range cardio routine.
From there, maybe 1-2 months later, move onto a HIIT cardio workout. Here is one I am following for a bike, (stationary or not). It is a 20 minute workout.

00:00: Bike 10 minutes at a steady, even pace. Don't tire yourself out.
10:00: At the 10 minute mark, push it harder for about a minute.
11:00: Slow down and keep steady for two minutes.
13:00: Push it again. If you have the energy to go all out, do it. If not, just keep an increased pace.
14:00: Slow it down. Even out your pace for two minutes.
16:00: Increased pace again.
17:00: 2 minutes normal pace again.
19:00: All out max effort for 1 minute.
20:00: End.

Continued in next post.

(continued)

OK, you are doing cardio every day for 30-40 minutes to begin with, and then moving into HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) later on.
Now move onto doing weights. You should aim for 3-4 times a week. Free weight compound lifting is what you should be aiming for. Not just doing one muscle at a time, doing a whole area. www.bodybuilding.com has an excellent area on exercises for this, videos/pictures so you know what to do. BUT, remember, always ask at the gym for help if you feel you can't do something. It is better to ask than to hurt yourself from doing an exercise wrong.
A good way to set up your 3-4 day routine is to put it into body area groups. For this example I will use the 7chan.org /fit/ FAQ routine.

MONDAY
This will be the back day, all exercises will focus on using the back muscles. Exercises include: Deadlift, Bent Over Rows, Weighted Pullups and Seated Rows.

WEDNESDAY
Squat day. Squats are one of the best exercises for legs, but are also dangerous if you can't do the correctly. Exercises include: Squats, Leg Presses, Lunges and Jump Squats.

FRIDAY
Chest day. This will focus on mostly bench work, pushing weights. Exercises include: Flat Bench Press, Incline Dumbbell Press, Overhead Press, Weighted Tricep Dips.

Last, but not least. Don't set your goals too high. Make sure you don't say 'Oh, I am going to do this for < 6 months and if I don't see anything astounding I quit'. You need to be reasonable. I personally am setting my goal over 2 years, which gives me a good base time.

And don't buy into loads of supplements. You don't need them until you get hueg liek xbawkz. Stick with Whey Protein Powder, and Multivitamins/Multiminerals.

Best of luck to you OP, hope I was of some help.

OP, this is solid advice, go with this. To add to it, it's true that consistency brings about the change. But don't run into it headfirst and stun yourself. Too many people go in guns blazing the first few weeks and then lose momentum because they were too hard on themselves or they didn't notice immediate results.

Remember it's best to take the long road here. It's a change of mentality that brings about the meaningful difference. You can drag yourself out there every session and find yourself swinging between feelings of fleeting motivation and defeated half-assedness, or you could do what's needed to start enjoying yourself. Things that don't necessarily yield results; minor, but necessary, adjustments. Plan it out, treat your body well, and you will notice it eventually.

Andro pattern obesity is just what happens when your test levels are higher than your estrogens (almost all men)
You will get a spare tire around your waist before your thighs and ass balloon out. Fat on the limbs is much less than on a woman of similar body fat%.

Many people believe that other hormones are also responsible for fat distribution. Love handles and back fat are caused by insulin resistance and eating too much sugar.
Belly fat is indicative of high cortisol and low growth hormone.
Fat on the calves may also signal low growth hormone.
In women (and possibly men) high Omega 3s cause fat storage in the thighs while Omega 6 increase belly fat.

Low thyroid hormones cause a general increase in bodyfat.

If you have a normal fat distribution, targeting these hormones would not be of much use. A simple calorie deficit will cause the general fat loss that is needed. But if you have "stubborn fat area" while having a low total bf <10% men <15% women, you may benefit by trying to manipulate these.

Ketogenic diet to lower insulin resistance and circulating insulin.
HIIT and SQUATZ for increasing GH.
Better sleep patterns for increasing GH.
Lowering everyday stress to lower cortisol.
Cutting back on endurance length cardio to lower cortisol.
