Starting the gym Anonymous
Ok i am starting this week and because i have mental health problems i get alot of money off the gym.

I am 10 stone 6'0 and i've managed to tone up around my chest area and my slight double chin has gone just by changing what i ate abit.

So for someone who's not been to a gym before what do you suggest? i don't have alot of toned muscle that's the problem.

Well what do you want to achieve? Muscle mass, fat loss, power/strength or endurance?

I don't need to lose weight i just need to gain a little bit of muscle, but i guess i would have to eat some more.

Sorry, try googling or go to somewhere like bodybulding.com they must have forums there.

Why would I want to learn about an archaic measuring system?
Also, holy fuck OP, you are skinny and weak as hell.

I gain fat on my chest area faster than my arms, so my arms could be super skinny even if i had a fat gutt.

I don't look that skinny just my arms.

No you don't understand. 140lbs at 6' 0" means you are weak as hell.
>> Mak
>>199948

No, its not. The problem begins when people come here before doing ANY research for themselves and simply ask "how do i get in shape" - i mean thats an easay in itself, do some research first, then come back with specific questions.

What the hell are pounds?

(Seriously, I can't understand all the rage about stone being archaic when everyone here still uses a system that 99% of the world has abandoned long ago)

Pounds are what americans use to mesure weight and stone is i think european or just english.
>> Anonymous

1lb=2.2kg

>> Anonymous
usa=kg and grams uk=pounds and stone

YOU'RE ALL FUCKING RETARDS.

14LBS (pounds) = 1 STONE = Imperial measurement - USA. OLD.

Kilograms = Metric measurement - Europe/rest of world. NEW.

>>200294
there's not even a single american who knows what stone is

lbs strait = american
stone = weird brits who for some reason dont use kilos
kilos = rest of the world

USA = Pounds/miles
Canada/rest of world = kilograms/kilometers
