Running twice a day Anonymous
So I have a shit ton of energy this spring break because I'm not lifting for a week, and I've been running ~5 miles every morning at the beach. The problem is, later in the day I still have a shit ton of energy. Would doing a HIIT sesh later in the day negatively impact my running gains (just started running again)

Pic unrelated, as I am neither a female nor wearing a skirt at the moment.

I would just take it easy man. Don't overdue it, most sports related injuries are from running.

why not just run on gravel? worried about how you look?

of course i'm not worried about how i look. I've just lifted compulsively and shit for the past 4 years because I couldn't care less about how i look.

Running on the beach is just as fun as running in the woods. It's infinitely more fun than running in circles on a track or treadmill. There are no gravel fields just lying around here. And running on gravel sucks.

as for stretching out shin splints, it's just doing calf stretches, right? I mean, I really can't see what else there is to do.

Who is chick in OP pic? Any moar?

The best way to counteract shin splints is the opposite of calf raises - stand with all your weight on your heels and raise your toes as high as you can (hold on to something to make it easier) this strengthens the muscles down the front of your shin, which are the ones which cause shinsplints
