I'd recommend it if you want as much training as possible, but you don't have to go with it just because you're fat. Also, don't be too ambitious in the start, it's easy to get motivation the first work out, but if you push yourself too hard, it'd turn out badly. When you're used to exercising regularly, then you can start getting ambitious. It's not too hard, you just have to be careful with yourself.
