Okay /fit/, big question.

For the past few years I've been on a somewhat lean diet. I avoid sugary drinks and even though I try to avoid fast food, working on a mall on a tight budget doesn't provide that option. Although strangely enough, I have been eating mostly fast food for the past three weeks and lost 8 pounds. Trying to figure out if it's my two hour cycling each day or my fucked up metabolism.

Anyways, one thing that always been lingering in my mind is the Diet drinks. I drink diet pepsi alongside with my water, just in case I need a caffiene (don't drink coffee) and a bit of taste.

So my question is...diet soft drinks: Good, or bad?

keep em to a minimum and you'll be awwwwrite.

aspartame = fiendishly bad if you make diet sodas your best friend.

haha diet drinks are kind of evil because they bond chlorine molecules with the sugar so that it passes through your system. However, most diets allow that shit so i think you're okay. Personally, i think the shit is evil. But if I ever saw Tab on the store shelf i'd suck a six pack down in the middle of the aisle.

Artificial sweeteners make you crave simple carbs

stick with water- mix it up, mineral seltzer and unsweetened iced tea if you want flavor

i'm like a tab vampire
so sit down by the campfire
pulling out my amplifier
pulling out the town crier
and put this in your files
it's the t-a-b on your soda dials
so crank it to the max
and put on a fucking smile
moving up the aisles
i see some kind of child
and he's runnning kind of wild
but he's drinking t-a-BE
so he's cool with me
till he makes his willy free
and starts a pee pee party..
...
..
damn i hate kids.

Diet drinks aren't bad every now and then, but of course, moderation is the key. If you must switch to diet because you're having a hard time getting off of regular than do it. But don't cut back on water just because you're drinking soda. The more you drink water, the less you'll crave soft drinks, of any kind.

why not just drink flavoured water?

I drink a shitload of water, no doubt about it. I would say that during a busy day, I would have two or three diets, and maybe twice amount the water.

And when I busy, basically cycling for four hours or my work decides that I need to unload a truck full of furniture instead of dealing with customers.
