Hey /fit/
I need to lose some weight/tone up
6'1" 183 pounds
Any tips from you guys?
(pic related its me)

I'm the same weight as you. You look thinner but I'm 5 inches shorter.

low carb diet,
lots of cardio (running, swimming) - 3 times a week
lots of weight lifting -3 times a week

Also, my routine is intense cardio, everyday. 1 meal a day of a smaller portion of what I usually eat. This is the diet I've used to lose weight in the past and it has worked each time.

here's a modification of my old crew's hell week (it's toned down and generalized for copy pasta purposes)... it's not something that'll just tone you a little... it'll kick your ass (btw, on the days with the half mile run and hill work... if you want it to be authentic chuck 10 sets of 6 story stadiums on the end)

also remember to always warmup stretch and cooldown

without further adieu:
Monday and wednesday(on a 150 meter stretch... of hill, preferably)
sprint and walk back 5 times
frogman (squat with a forward leap) and walk back 3 times
lunges and walk back twice
repeat for 1.5 hours... then run a half mile

50 pushups (or variant)
20 pullups or chinups
anything you want to add (may I honestly suggest squats... not as a /fit/ joke but because i am a rower and we love the fuckers)

Tuesday and thursday
run 3-10 miles
work core (planks, situps, scullers *seated with arms out to sides and legs in, put legs out in front and bring arms arms to opposite side*, crunches, yess and nos *neck workout... hold head an inch off ground and nod or shake head 100 or more times*, whatever other core stuff you can think of...)
make it last at least 2 hours total with running and core

friday - i'd say hop on an erg, but the HORRIBLE form of most people on an erg tells me to tell you to avoid them.... probably just repeat monday/wednesday or come up with your own thing

saturday and sunday rest

enjoy your pasta

Jesus christ one meal a day? Enjoy your muscle loss.
>> Anonymous
holy shit... didn't see that or i would have called someone on it... you can shrink one meal a day sure... but to only eat one is just stupid
>> Anonymous
>>68753

not when you're poor anyway
>> Anonymous
no... it's still stupid...

If my body tells me I only need one meal a day, so be it. Different people have different needs.

better be a large fucking meal
>> Guil

You don't know shit about what your body tells you. It's all in your head, in reality your body is asking for food 3 hours after you eat and for the next ~21 hours apparently.

I wish. If I eat the way most people eat I end up feeling very sick.

eating one meal a day fucks up your metabolism and in the long run will do more harm than good. But keep at it, I guess, because I don't really give a shit

OP Here
Anymore advice you guys can give me?

If you aren't willing to spread that 1 large meal into 3-5 smaller meals throughout the day then why the fuck should we offer you any other advice?

-Lots of Cardio for weight loss / cutting (Running, bicycling, swimming, etc)
-Attempt to do a HIIT program once you feel good about running for a ways
-Lots of Crunches to go with the Cardio
-Some Weightlifting if you want as well
-Eat Healthy (preferrably low in fat / carbs and high in protein)
-Eat 3-5 smaller-portioned (but still full of sustenance) meals throughout the day. If you're really about "cutting" (aka losing weight / toning up) then limit your calorie intake while still maintaining a decent amount of nourishment for your body (eat less, burn more, take a vitamin every day)

this is good advice.

try weighing 175

sad torso is sad

Jesus man, you must have no muscle mass. Im one inch shorter than you, ~8 pounds lighter, have some muscle, not an amazing amount, like one rep max bench is about 200, and I have a 6 pack.

thats a lot of rolls

just stop eating for 1 month, then start working out

That's fucking 183? I'm 6'0 (at 235 currently), and I thought I'd be okay 180.

... Looks like I'm going to 170.
>> rowerfag
>>69537
actually, 180 can be perfectly healthy for a 6 foot tall guy... if it's mostly muscle... remember body comp. people... it does strange things to weight

to be honest my ideal would be 25 pounds heavier than i am now (150-->175)

What some people still don't realize is that every insecure fat ass will add anywhere from 3" to 8" in height so they don't can feel better about themselves before hitting "submit." This guy is probably like 5'6."

>>69571
If he were 5'6" and 183 pounds, his tits would be a lot saddest than that.

This. I'm 6'2 and 185-190. I also look quite thin. I know a few people ~6'1 that are 200lbs and are still thin, because they have more muscle than I do.

I'm 6'0 and 165lb, but I still got a fat stomach, thunder thighs, etc. Damn body composition.

Play a sport or do martial arts.

im 6'0 and 176 but i am quite thin, have some muscle mainly in legs from soccer and shoulders\back from pull ups.
>> Deltaforse
they key to be fit is not to stay sit 24\7, if you find running or gym too boring get into some group sport or martial art. Just don't stay sit all the time and don't be afraid of eating good. I eat meat all the time and i wub it :)

How about you start going to the gym.
