>>104754 >>104612 The thing is there is no evidence either way that says circumcision is good. And I don't see a problem with the foreskin. We're made that way.
Basically, even if insurance pays for it, I don't want to pay for the circumcision (they're expensive) and accidents do happen. Don't give me the bullshit about "if it's a real doctor it won't happen" because it will, and I'll tell you why:
My dad fucked one up. He's been a family physician for 30 years, and hates doing them. He usually doesn't, as he doesn't support the procedure (I'm uncut) but as it happened one day some parents wanted one for their baby boy, and with the outdated tools he was provided, against his wishes he was more or less heavily pressured to go through with it. The bell clamp he was using was not properly sized and he ended up cutting a bit too much. He didn't remove the glans but there was a definite incision.
Basically, until I have PROOF recognized by the medical community that there is a definite reason to circumcise children, only THEN will I submit. Unfortunately, it's still being debated, and I'm going to stick with the oath:
"Do no harm".
And as far as I'm concerned, a questionable surgical procedure performed on an infant's genitals most certainly is harm.
