pharm quality is a meaningless label...

I'm sure you can get a litre at wal-mart for 10 dollars, but considering all the different pollutants that could be within fish, doesn't it give you peace of mind to pay a bit more for something certified clean?
>> Anonymous
>>410936
you're not listening. pharmaceutical quality is not a certification. its just another bs tagline like "most effective formula ever!". it doesnt mean anything.
>> Anonymous
>>410952
so it is the equivalent of the "smart check" system?

fack... well it is said to be purified... anyways can we stay on topic, what do you use, whats in it, and how much do you take?!

>>410955
I don't take fish oil. Its MUCH cheaper to buy flax seeds and mill them. Its something like 4 bucks a lb and that usually lasta me a month
>> Anonymous
>>410963
going to bed now, anyways, whats the epa, dha on the average serving of that stuff... and how do you eat it?
>> Anonymous
>>410963
flax seed contains ALA. while ala is not asborbed as well as epa or dha, it is sooooo much cheaper that I can easily get an adequate dose every day for 4 dollars a month. people are getting ripped on fish oil
>> Anonymous
Furthermore, conversion of dietary ALA into EPA is limited. Because the efficacy of n?3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LC-PUFA) synthesis decreases down the cascade of ALA conversion, DHA synthesis from ALA is even more restricted than that of EPA.

take all 3. ala, epa, dha

you are idiots and assholes for not allocating $1 a day for quality fishoil. lol OMG i'm too poor.

How do you like the one in OP?

It is pricey, but if you look at the link I provided it does seem worthwhile.

it's pretty good actually, 100 servings for 40 dollars isn't too bad, although i don't like fish oils that have uneven DHA/EPA ratios but most of them don't have even ratios anyways.

I'm about to scrap fish oil as soon as I cut out all my dairy so I still use Carlson's Very Finest Fish Oil only because it's cheap and I take about 4-6 tsp a day, but i'm wondering if that is too much

Is tsp a teaspoon or tablespoon?

Anyways I've taken about 2-3 tablespoons a day, and that combined with shoulder dislocations seems to have really worked wonders on my shoulders.

I always used to reach a point where the inside of my shoulders would feel like fire... As a teen I was doing behind the neck lat pulldowns, side and front raises, and chest flies with bad form.

Now I'm sticking to 5x5, first week and I've went from my 3x10 at 135lbs to 5x5 190lbs so I'm happy as shit... I weight 200lbs though.

teaspoon, i only take so much because i have a few lingering injuries. mostly my right pinky and ring finger are both still recovering from tendon injuries sustained about a month ago. i think i have some strained ligaments in my left foot as well and my lower back has been sore for quite some time.

i don't believe in ibuprofen or aspirin, sure call me a dumbass but i'd rather get through this shit naturally than taking pharmaceutical pills daily like a lot of people do. i'll start taking pills when the pain is so bad that it knocks me out, and i don't believe that will happen anytime soon

I fucking hate natural fags who are fine with food thats been processed, preserved, (HINT EVERYTHING YOU BUY AT A STORE) but are against pills because "OMGDRUGSBADLOL"

i hate them people too, all my food either comes from: a) farmer's market, b) local farms, c) online butchers, or d) supermarket (olive oil, coconut oil, almond flour, coconut flour, 88% cacao chocolate, or spices)

I'm surprised that there isn't more /fit/izens who supplement with fish oil.
