5:38i was only going 7/8 of my speed, since it was for a fitness test at my school and not a race. But if it was a race I think I could shave off 5-10 seconds, but it would be really pushing it

well my mile time in 8th grade was 7:40.didn't run a mile until my senior year.was 6:15. And that was despite going form 70lbs to 140lbs.or perhaps because of it, since I put a lot of mass onto my legs which had none before. Also I think lifting improved my cardio vascular condition a little
