Dear /fit/

Is there a way to get your strength back quickly after donating plasma? I'm thinking of going tomorrow, but I have to work in the evening and I don't want to be all lethargic.

Try planning ahead so you don't have anything to do after donating next time.

Plasma doesn't affect your stamina. Just drink more and your fluids will replace themselves pretty quickly (i.e. a few days). If you do a regular donation then you need to worry about red blood cells for awhile, but since you can do plasma donations once every 2 weeks, its obvious that you recover much faster.

I only donated plasma once (didn't like the feeling of them recycling cold blood back into me), but I've given blood a lot. I find that massive amounts of chocolate make me recover faster. Dunno if it's just a psychological thing, but the Red Cross ladies recommended it too.
