So, when i work out I dont feel like I've accomplished anything unless Im sore the next day in all the muscles that I worked out. Is this attitude healthy and correct or am I going to be immobile in two years?

it's not necessary, and depends on what you want to acheive. if you're not progressing the first thing to look at is sleeping patterns. then diet. then start playing around with programs. you're a beginner so you should make progress almost regardless of what you do in the gym.

if you want to get stronger then yes.

>>I have no idea what I am talking about.

fixed for you. muscular soreness is not related to training effect when it comes to developing strength. at all. maybe size, although that is also subject to debate.

but then you think strength is developed with eight reps to failure. and have never heard of a motor unit in your life.

muscles should be sore after a workout, thats why you let them rest the next day and work the other parts you didnt work the day before, durr durr

It's a healthy attitude. Having delayed onset muscle soreness means that you're causing the micro trauma to your muscle cells. You have to have this micro trauma to recruit new muscle fibers. Now, if you're having joint pain or acute muscle pain, that could be bad.

i hope this is sarcasm, but either way i give up. fuck all of you ignorant shitheads.

People are different, some people get sore after a workout and some don't. The main thing is, is that you progressively lift heavier weights each week - That's what's important right?

Your body looks like a deflated balloon.

Why the fuck do people always twist their bodies when taking shirtless photos of themselves?

Firstly, it's makes them look like mutilated worms.
Secondly, everyone here is either a straight male (who doesn't care what you look like), a gay male (who'd only want to bang you for the lulz of snapping you in half), a straight chick (who'd never even think of touching you), or a lesbian (who has no interest in you anyway).

Anyway, lol @ OP for posting for advice, then calling us ignorant shit heads.

OP wasn't calling people ignorant shitheads, it was whoever is arguing that muscle soreness is NOT important whatsoever for a good workout. That person happens to be right, by the way.

It shows that you did enough, I guess, but for my part, I'm never sore, even with large compounds and then multiple isolation exercises.

It's obvious he did it trying to get some definition while flexing his abs

does soreness = good workout?

or is it possible for a workout to be good, but lacking soreness.

Then how might one gauge a good workout?

When, after finishing the only things you can say are "Muuuurrrr" and "Duuuurrr" or something in between and you feel like you’re about to die. As well, when you try to wipe the sweat off your face with your shirt, all you get is more sweat on your face.

Hmm good then. Sounds like my day today, did 1 hour of hard martial arts and now I'm too tired to even go to the gym and SQUATZ it. I think I need rest anyway.

Yeah, but he failed, since he doesn't half any. I'm just so confused by how people don't get that twisting their bodies won't magically give them abs.
