i went to the gym 3 times a week, one hour everytime for six months and i have only gained two pounds.

am i fucking it up? or i'm not supposed to see results in only 6 months?

my friend said i should eat 5 small meals a day and buy protein supplements. will it work? what should i expect in 6 months? i work hard, i like pain. but i'd really like to see results and not waste another 6 month

You are DEFINITELY doing something wrong. It took me a month and a half to gain 12 pounds and in my first 6 months ever working out I gained 20 pounds, starting from knowing absolutely nothing.

Not entirely true, but this is the most common peak rate of muscle gain. Most people will put on more weight than this by an increase in fat as well.
