>>266653 This is going to sound strange, but bare with me. I was told for a long time I had bad allergies and doctors had me taking claratin, allegra, pseudaphedrine, getting allergy tests, using nasal inhalers, the list goes on and on and on. All of them seemed to help a little, but nothing seemed to help a lot, ie, nothing really worked.
About a year ago I started getting these nasty head aches, the right side of my face swelled up a little, and I was feeling pressure behind my right eye. I went to my doctor and insisted something different be done. So, they took an MRI of my skull, which revealed.... nothing obvious. I was referred to an eye/ear/nose/throat specialist who took one look at the MRI and promptly noticed what had been plaguing me my entire life. I had a bone spur protruding into my right nasal passage, pinching a number of nerves and mucking up my entire sinus system, hence the congestion. The surgically removed it and bam, I don't have allergies or any weird mucus shit anymore.
tl;dr - Get an MRI, you may have something blocking up your sinus cavities.
