Hey, /fit/...

I've been working on losing some weight, and I found this board!

I'm not fat, just a little chubby. For the last I don't know how long, I haven't been eating very healthy (little to no fruit and a diet of lots of carbonated drinks and red meat), and I've just recently switched over to something a little better (chicken and vegetables, lots of water and fruit).

As for exercise, I do fifty situps and fifteen pushup a night, along with about twenty minutes or so of cardio with Wii boxing. I also walk for like a half an hour almost every day to work.

I started this plan like four days ago and I feel better already. Am I doing it right? Should I change anything? Is there any advice you guys could give me? I'm not looking to get any muscle or anything, just lose some weight.

Walking doesn't hurt, but 15 minutes or so of jogging out of your comfort zone will contribute a hell of a lot more.

Situps won't do much for losing weight. You may not want to look muscular, but maintaining muscle is the #1 way to burn fat. I suggest investing in some dumbells or a gym membership. You don't need to get xbox hueg but lifting will help you realize your long terms goals. As for your diet, it looks ok, you might want to try out some whey protein.

Dumbells seem easier for me than a gym membership. And I've been thinking about jogging in the morning after I wake up.

And thanks for the advice.

The fastest (but not the safest) way to lose weight, of course, is to lie in your bed with a huge jug of water and nothing else for about 4-5 days. Aside from going to the toilet and bathing yourself (remember to use lukewarm water, hot water will make you faint), you should never move about too much, because it will actually make you collapse. As you lie in bed, you will sleep more often, and that will curb your appetite.

here's an idea, how about instead of coming here and asking your stupid questions you go and actually read up on fitness, health and diet? you know, empower yourself and shit?

if you want to be healthy and fit, why don't you read about what healthy and fit people do?
