sup /fit/

I recently started working out and eating right by counting calories because I'm tired of being fat and disgusting. I'd say its going pretty well, I usually give up within a week, and don't really try. This time I'm working hard, because I want it so bad.

I just have one question. I have been doing weight training, and cardio everyday. I alternate from weight training (total body, with SQUATS)+jogging a bit+stationary bicycle (as a cool down) to Ab workout+a bit of jogging+stationary bicycle (This would be considered my "resting day."
So, I don't really "rest", is this somehow bad, for weight loss plans, my muscles, or my health?

Short answer: depends. Long answer: depends. If you're cutting your calories from your suggested intake then all that activity will catch up with you. Eat precisely what you need for a normal day (about 15 times your bodyweight) no more, no less.

Well I once went to Jenny Craig and was told that I need 1500 calories to prevent starvation and still lose weight. Back then I didn't exercise much either. That was when I was heavier though, so I'm kinda adhering to that. I weigh 160 right now, want to go to 130 if possible.

Like I said, it all depends on what your body and mind are able to handle. If you start feeling lazy and tired all the time it's time to raise your intake. Just something you have to play by ear (and tape measure, try not to go by the scale alone.)

Okay, thank you :)

honestly, a "resting" day should just be low impact exercise. bike riding, or swimming. 15-20 minutes is enough, but that little bit keeps the calories burning all day.
resting days are more for boxers, marathon runners, football players who push their bodies to beyond realistic limits.

Ah, then I'll do fine :D
It just that I'm using this thing called Teh Firm, and the little calender has days when you don't do anything. Actually, it's only supposed to be 3 days a week. But I refuse to sit and do nothing 4 days out of my week. Theres also a cardio video meant to be done in one of those 3 days. Again, I refuse to even touch it and instead incorporate a little cardio daily.
