I have been working out my abs six days a week. would it be better to give my muscles more rest?
>> Anonymous
i treat my abs more like i do any other muscle. with something more like 3-4 days a week of heavy lifting. of course leanness is what really matters.

let me ask you, are your abs sore?

Let me guess. No cardio, no chest/back/arm/leg/shoulder lifts?

Enjoy never having abs.

well everyone is different, but in my experience i get sore for about month during a new work out routine, then i stop being sore and i begin to see muscle gains.

if you arent too sore you are probably improving. but if you are doing too much of an endurance workout your muscles will adapt to that which means you will gain practically nothing.

what>>167390means when he says work out other parts of your body is that when you work out your whole body, hormonally the changes needed to build muscle elsewere will help building muscles everywere, which is why legs are especially important. i get most of my knowledge from a book called "the book of muscle" by Ian King, read it if you can, changed my life.
