hey guys? question about the actual diet, I've lost from 220lbs to 175lbs, but not fit. Anyways, I'm eating like 1200 calorie diet and it sucks, not losing any weight, and if I try like one day of 2000 calorie, i gain like 2 lbs, therefore 4 days of agony getting it off. I cant tell what I need as in protein/calories if I want to develop more muscle and try to lose the gut.
175lbs, 18% body fat. M. 5'11''

You're undereating, and your body is reacting by consuming your muscle mass instead of fat.

No, you're not gaining "like 2 lbs" by eating one day of 2000 calories. One pound of fat = 3500 calories. Fix your calorie problems and eat 40-30-30 (look it up).
Congratz on the 18%, that's much better than where you started. Now don't develop an eating disorder.

bad previous pic, heres another, also, I'm confused on this 40-30-30, wheres the calories involved or it doesn't matter?

Two things to know about food:
1. What to eat ("40-30-30" describes macronutrient ratios)
2. How much of it (determined by calorie burn rates, and your goal).

Are you lifting? You should be lifting. Check out the 99chan /fit/ FAQ, it's solid.

I also recommend joining www.thedailyplate.com and checking out their exercise forums and groups - some great info. Also great for tracking your daily calories and exercise.

40% carbs
30% protein
30% fat

If you eat around 2000 calories composed 40-30-30 and lift weights (real weights with a barbell, not faggoty isolation exercise machines), you'll be losing fat and gaining muscle

I GUARANTEE IT
