Hey there /fit/. I'm a 16 year old male who's never excersied much or done any real physical activity his whole life, a real shocker I know, and now I decided to get into shape.

I figured I would start small, doing workouts in the morning and then gradually get into developing muscle mass after burning the fat around my stomach.

Problem is, looking online the only exercises I can find are for people who are already in good shape or for people who are already knowledgeable with exercising.

What does /fit/ recommend for a morning exercise that can be done relatively quickly that will help transition into more hardcore work outs? Basic PE workouts?

I plan on spending more time working out in the summer, but for now I'll try and get a head start.

Pic unrelated.

Agreed, I am also 16 and for me, I like getting up at the brisk of dawn and go rollerblading, because honestly; I get bored when running.

For me I always bring my Zune but don't end up listening to it because I like to listen to nature as I go. So for NOW, to start; don't go scientific with your owrkouts, just run/bike/rollerblade whatever, the basics.

How quick is "relatively quickly"? If you have thirty minutes, just jog it off, tried and true and it doesn't cost you a cent.

for a fat burn do some HIIT
got a bike? Sweet.
Get warmed up then fucking THRASH yourself for 30 seconds, slow it up to a medium pace for 30 seconds, then go hard again.
Repeat process until you can't move.
Note that when you're just starting out, you'll only be good for a few minutes, and make sure you warm down afterwards with a relaxing ride.
Same can be done with running, but it is rather high impact so get some good shoes.

After a week or so you'll be going longer and longer and the pain ache will fade quicker

Also investing in a pull up bar is worth while

And of course eventually dumbbells

but I do recommend that you actually sign up to a gym and if you can afford it a personal trainer. What's really important is that you do the exercise correctly (preventing injury and such and to maximise the benefits as well)
