Wake up an hour earlier than you do now. Do a half hour of cardio jogging, then a half hour of light weight heavy rep lifting.
When you're both home from work, do an hour of cardio jogging or biking. Every other day, do another hour of light weight heavy rep lifting, then eat.
No need to regulate diet closely, just stay the fuck away from HFCS, fried stuff, greasy stuff, and processed shit. Chow on steaks, healthy burgers, salads, beans, fruits, low sugar smoothies, that sort of thing.
And to keep motivation up give each other massages or something at night to soothe sore muscles.
