Kind of slow tonight, but I'm been lurking for quite a while, and I just had a conundrum..

My goal is a clean looking physique, I don't care at all how many lbs. I am, just as long as I look good, you know?

Anyways, I've been lifting for a while, and while I do see some nice looking arms, shoulders, quads (amateur power lifter) I still have some baggage around the waist and upper thigh.

So my question is, do I shift more of my attention onto cardio and fat burning heart rate jogging/running, or keep going with power lifting, waiting for the muscle mass I put on to start to burn more calories leading to more fat burning in itself?

I'd go for the second otpion.

But replace cardio with lifting tbh, just eat less (dont cut the proteins I guess), just because its way more fun..

well to bulk up you really need to eat more then you burn, and for cutting burn more.

so you really should do either or, so id say bulk then cut, and if your happy with your arms atm, then yes focus on cardio do some HIIT 2-4 times a week and tabatta twice a month

You can try something like the Velocity diet and do an extreme cut. Proponents of the V-diet claim that it allows you to keep strength/muscle while cutting all fat.

Metabolic training is another good idea. Alwyn Cosgrove described some barbell complexes he uses for metabolic conditioning at elitefts.

A member of elitefts, "Spud" I believe, used to be a fat PL'er, and cut. He's been posting about his training and journey. You should check it out.

I've never done tabata. But I would imagine the weight has be managable. Something laughable compared to say, your 5 RM.
