Hey there /fit/, was wondering if anyone here is in the Navy or at least gone through basic training, currently a lazy ass /b/tard and I'm tired of living in Mom's basement. I'm going to see a recruiter tomorrow, this is where you come in, can anyone here offer me a good idea of what type of fitness I'll be in to make it through basic? Currently 6' and weighing in at 136. Thanks in advance folks.

It's all endurance tests to begin with.

Youre stupid if you are joining the army.

Also, 6" and 136 pounds? Get ready to die in training.

Yes i know, army doesnt equal navy, but its the same thing either way. Enjoy being owned by the government (literally).

That's not true. When I went in for basic training the first time I saw alot of out of shape recruits who clearly only did a few pushups the night before. Boot camp pushes people to their absolute limits and it's the underdeveloped who usually show the most drive and make the most progress.

Well, I don't plan on dying. And I'm really willing to push myself. So, start working my ass off now or stay on 4chan and wait for basic?

why would the army push you to death in basic?

a dead recruit is a useless recruit

I went through USMC boot, and honestly it's not very hard, but it is demanding on your body and teaches you a discipline that you wouldn't normally do. They'll keep you on diet and keep you moving 24/7 so just stick with it and you should be okay.

Well, that's comforting, if USMC is doable, USN should be a breeze right?
