Hey /fit/. I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction as far as nutrition goes. I'm 6'3, 160lbs, and have a pretty high metabolism. I can eat absolutely anything i want until i'm stuffed and i still wont gain any weight. I started lifting weights about two months ago and i'd like to start eating a little healthier. My question is, if i eat a low calorie, high protein diet in combination with weight lifting, will i still gain muscle mass and weight? So far, i've gained 10 lbs since i started working out and i'd like to get up to 180lbs.

Why low calorie? I'm pretty sure that If you're shooting to put on weight you want to increase calories. As long as they come from healthy sources.

yup, you need HIGH calorie intake for muscle growth. If you lift really heavy, expect 3k to 4k calories per day. Of the right stuff though: Protein, good fats and some carbs.
Carbs are good since they give you an insulin spike, which is good for muscle growth.

Bad carbs. If you see the word enriched anywhere, just avoid. Whole grains, queer. It should specify if it uses whole grains or not. And watch for high fructose corn syrup. it's every fucking where. Look at ingredients, fag.
