Anyone have a concave chest? I have a very small one, nowhere near as bad as the pic (thank god) but it's still kinda annoying.
I've heard bigger pecs/abs make it less noticeable. Is this true?

Mine is very slightly concave. I've got pretty big pecs at this point, but you can still kind of see it.

Mine is the opposite. People actually think I have huge pecs because of it, so I consider it a positive.

I did and I had 2 operations for it, ask any question you want.

OP here, same with me. They make my pecs look pretty big but if anyone grabbed my chest you could tell something weird is going on.

What was the OP like? Was it a big procedure?

I can concave my chest on my own by breathing in a certain way, is that normal?

First operation: Unthinkable pain. 7 days of shouting, screaming, passing out. I didn't sleep for a week, my lungs kept collapsing. They had to pull all these hoses in and out of your chest. No painkillers, morphine was completely useless at this pain level. I kept trying to die by refusing to breath (which hurt so bad), but then I'd just pass out and wake up breathing hard, which felt like being cut in half.

Second time: The anesthesia worked this time, and it was pretty easy. Still recovering, some pain occasionally afterwards.

I had my concave chest operated on when I was in the 3rd grade. No pain as far as I can remember. Still have a scar, though.

yep, mild though. cant tell you for sure but I'd imagine bigger pecs would hide it more and more.

I have a concave chest, but I wouldn't change it/ It comes in handy for eating chips and popcorn and shit.

I used to know a guy like this, I actually thought it was adorable.

There is a surgery(I had it), but I can only recommend it under the most dire of situations. Seriously, It will kick your ass and take your name.

Also, Pullovers (the workout, not the clothing)

I have one but I'm scared to shit of getting the operation.
it freaks some people out and others think its cool... I've never really cared about it. I work out often, building up the muscles around the area, but it never seems to change.

My friends swear by their mother's grave that I can eat cereal out of it, though I haven't confirmed this yet. Anyone tried this yet?

haha i have a friend like that. it's like a chest portal. =]

I have it pretty bad, although I've never had any trouble out of it pain-wise. I would imagine if it got any worse it would start crushing lungs, but hopefully it doesn't. And yes I've ate cereal out of it for shits and giggles!

i used to have the opposite, my chest was i guess you could call it convex. its called pectus carinatum (spl?). anyways, i have had two operations to fix it as the sides of my ribcage were crushing my lungs...

after waking up from the first operation, and the following week were the most unimaginable pain possible. morphine did nothing, demerol did nothing, vicodin did very little. was absolute hell. had moderate pain for the following few months. now about 2 years after the operation, i am fine. my chest is a tad concave now.

but overall, glad i did it, i got ridiculed a lot for it in school, so now i look normal. and i have a badass scar that i can make up stories for.
