At the end of high school I weighed about 105 lbs...which was ideal.
And, like many others, I gained the fucking "freshman 15" and now I am 5'1" and 120 lbs. No good.

The thing is though...when I was smaller, I had NO boobs. Delicious flat chest. Not even As. Now that I have gained weight, a fair amount of it went to my bewbs...and now I have good sized As.

Is there anything specific I can do to loose the belly fat, but keep the new boobs (and maybe the butt)? Is it possible?

Either way, I have cut out soda and desserts and started going to the gym. I have already lost some weight.

I'm pretty sure some exercises target specific zones.

But at 120 you're still okay. Once you hit 150 it's time to lose weight at that height, I think.
>> Anonymous
i'm not sure there is a way to target weight loss to a specific area. your body will pull the energy it needs from the deposits stored in your body, and for women your breasts are large deposits of fat.

exercises target specific muscle groups or get your heart rate up to the point where your body is burning fat.

crunches would be your best bet...and other exercises that target your abdominals...but you may be out of luck either way...you may have to say good bye to the boobs...or get used to the extra weight.

Post a picture, I bet you're not even that fat.

No, your body uses fat from all stores, not from specific areas. Don't listen to anyone who says otherwise.

I'd suggest either eating the same amount you do now, and doing heavy weights at the gym to gain a bit of muscle and then it'll burn off the fat for you, or eating 20% less, and the fat will go away in a month or so.

Oh, op, if you really want to lose some weight and not gain it back the following winter, do not try to lose more than a pound per week through diet. Even through heavy sports.

As for losing fat in specific areas, not possible, yet you can tone the muscles in these areas and it will look better even if you've got a bit of flab on it.

But here, this tummy has GOT to go...

Truth, but I am poor!

Yeah exactly, I need to get into the habit of eating healthy and exercising...so that I don't relapse.

lose the tummy and you're good to go! (I'd hit it)

Also...being so short, the weight is really obvious.

Delicious flatchest is acceptable if you lose the stomach weight.

OP, don't be afraid of lifting moderate weight. You'll fill out nicely and gain a little weight, but you'll look great, especially the legs.

You won't bulk out like a guy, so don't worry about that. Weightlifting will transform your body quickly if you do it properly.

Of for the love of GOD don't lose any more weight. KEEP YOUR CURVES. You aren't fat in the slightest.

Since when the fuck did 120 pounds become overweight? Women are meant to have body fat. What is WRONG with this country?

Despite what the media tries to tell you when trying to shove a product down your throat. You can't "Target an area" to burn fat. You can target an area to build muscle, but that's not what you're interested in.

Weight loss is gradual and comes from your body as a whole. Every person's body is different and will gain and lose weight from different parts at different speeds. So just get up and do 20 minutes of cardio a day and you'll be noticing weight loss in no time.

Also try to switch up your cardio routine. Jump rope one day, jog the next, roller blade another, bike ride another. They're all very different types of cardio, and bike riding and roller blading especially will tone your calves, thighs, and butt. Just what ever girl wants. :3

I'm in similar postiion, put on weight due to pill, but am too enjoying the boobs. By stomach needs toning, but my thighs and ass have got quite nicely rounded so not that fussed to lose it.
I'm just going to try to tone stomach and thighs, walking is good for legs and apparently sitting up straight improves stomach muscles(?)

Yup, biking is good. Just watch out for thighs muscles. I seem to put on muscle quite easily, any way I can bike without them bulking up too much?

Incoming factoid.

Women only require a thin layer of fat around their lower abdomen and thighs. The reason for this is because of how the female circulatory system functions. The female body attempts to keep the sexual organs warm first, its the body's main priority. Having a thin layer of fat around the thighs and lower abdomen means that the body can focus more on keeping extremities warm, work less hard, and keep a stronger immune system.

But don't fool yourself into thinking "well having this fast is healthy". There is no substitute for a regular cardio regimen. It keeps a healthy heart and also keeps a healthy immune system (getting out and about and not breathing recycled air).

Thigh muscles are hot on chicks, but yes, if you ride on a higher gear there will be less resistance and you will build less muscle.

Biking is a cardio exercise. As long as you aren't trying to power your way up hills, you should build lean endurance muscle rather than hueg lifting muscle. Keep a moderate pedaling cadence the whole time, that's why most bikes have so many gears.

You don't want to keep the same pace the whole time. Doing that makes your body get used to it. You want to take a stop watch with you and you want to push hard for like 3 minutes, then go at a lesser pace for another 3, Repeat 2 times(18 minutes in total) then give it everything you've got for the last 2 minutes push it really hard!

Go on birth control.
I had pathetic A's and I started BC pills 2 months ago. I've gained a full cup size, but no weight elsewhere. Just keep up your diet and i see no downside!

GTFO my /fit NAO. Read my lips: there is absolutely, positively NO WAY to do targeted weight loss on specific parts of your body. The best you can hope for is to tone the muscle in a specific area, which pulls in the fat and makes the fat look smaller (see: abs).

Thanks for the tips. I used to ride bikes much more (before I could drive)...I was able at one point to ride 10 miles comfortably.

Before I started the stationary bike, I hadn't ridden in years...so I have been doing very low levels of resistance at high speed.

>>2321
Really?! I'm getting on BC soon, but I hear that you gain weight all over...if I can manage to only gain it in the chest, right on!

Sorry, if you want all-over weight loss you'll have to sacrifice mass in your breasts. A loooong time ago (going on almost 5 years) I lost around 80-90 pounds, and I lost a great amount of mass in my breasts (Ds down to Bs). Since the bulk of the weight in breasts is fatty tissue, it's going to be equally affected by overall weight-loss, unless you specifically target areas...something which has already been suggested.

I don't really know, being of the male variety. But surely losing 10-15 pounds wouldn't affect her that much?

sorry i deleted the post.
previous figure? I've pretty much always been this size, just want to tone up a little which I can't really do unless I lose a tiny bit of weight.

Except that if op reduces her weight with sport, she will appear, with the same weight, thinner and more athletic. With the pic, she hasn't a lot to loose (just a bit of sport to tone in good would be enough IMO). Curves, curves, curves...

Yeah, OP, you can't really target one specific site for weight loss. Just eat healthy and exercise. At 120, you are boarder line "overweight" for your height (according to BMI)...but if you want to look better, you can tone up your abdominals and other areas with more muscle. GL
