Sup /fit/. 18% bodyfat, 175cm, 80kg here. I have question about cutting. Should I drop weightlifting for an entire month altogether and focus on cardio or 50/50? I'm trying to cut down to 10% or as much as I can by January.

Iga unrelated, but something to fap to.

OP here, trying not to sound like a bodybuilder. I don't want my muscle mass to drain away along with the fat but wouldn't doing weights require caloric surplus (more food)? What about doing bodyweight exercises instead? I think its a lot more convenient than going to the gym and atleast I won't lose my strength after a month of no lifting.

Your body can't tell where the resistance is coming from.

gaining muscle requires a caloric surplus. keep doing weights, it will maintain the muscle/strength you've gained and burn calories.

OP here. I've gain fair amounts of mass for the past 3 months and my bodyfat've stayed the same, if not increasing. I'm trying to lose my fucking love handles. Wouldn't focusing on cardio do a better job? I'm trying to slim down.

No without resistance training you will burn muscle instead of fat.
