another fatty
sup /fit/, I'm another fatty that decided no more. Currently I'm about 85 kg, my gut (beergut-like, although I don't drink alcohol, odd)at its biggest in perimeter is 43 in, same for chest, thighs are 23 in, I'm 5'9" and I'm a male. I mention this because I want to lose weight, but I also don't want to gain lots of muscle. I know I can only go so far because my genes and how my body got structured when I grew up.

So I started eating right a while ago, walking more and got to the point where I am now, also some blood work says I lowered my cholesterol from 240s to 160s and everything else in there is also doing ok, so I guess I did a few things right, so my question is, which exercises are more recommended to be more skinny, and how much of them. I read somewhere that repetition of weightlifting small weights helped tone, without the muscle gain, but I'm not sure on the sources and a consensus would be helpful. Thanks.

tl;dr: I'm fat, wanna get skinny, recommend.

Pic unrelated. Girl butt for your troubles.

"beergut" does not mean that you drink beer. Most men start retaining fat in their midsection reason...And most men who drink too much beer are getting empty calories. Hence beergut.

I looked at the pic, read the tldr part, then kept looking at the pic. I don't care if you're fat. Eat shit and die, but first post more of that ass.

If you want to be skinny and not be muscular, I would stick with cardio workouts and maybe some strength training on the side. Keep in mind though that muscle burns fat for energy.

The most important things about cardio are VARIETY and CONSISTENCY. If you run a lot, your body will make you more efficient at running, which is BAD. You want to expend as much energy as possible. So switch things up by trying other cardio activities like biking, rowing, HIIT, etc. Be sure to stick to your plan because it'll become a habit.

And don't forget diet. Low refined sugars, low saturated fat, lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats like chicken and fish, etc.

Check this out. It is /fit/'s bible and helped me lose 90lbs 3 years ago.
