Hey /fit/
I heard that height is mostly determined by genetics.
I've also heard that proper nutrition also promotes healthy height growth.
Is this true? Does milk help growth as well?
Will running/doing cross country give some inches as well??

Since you're probably done with puberty, drinking milk and running isn't going to make you grow anymore.
But it's true that though genetics affects height, diet does too. If you look at older Japanese people, they are tiny hunchbacks. The current generation are taller- although I was the tallest girl in my class in Japan (at 5'8") I was not taller than a majority of the boys.
But drinking milk is still good for your bones, so keep drinking.

Oh, an the reason why the curent generation of Japanese people are taller is because of the introduction of beef and milk to their diets, while Asians cuisine is dairy-less. Think about it.

milk helping growth is dairy propaganda. we're the only species to drink another species milk. we're all "supposed" to outgrow milk by like age 2 or earlier.

have a multiple vitamin and mineral pill, progressive/sisu/now/etc that should cover your bases. not flintstones tablets, those are sugar pills. not really sure which particular vitamins/minerals are necessary, probably calcium for bone growth though.

And that's where the milk ads come from. High in calcium, but not that great for other reasons.

Oh, okay..I take this.
Is this okay? And when should one take multivitamin/mineral tablets? Morning, afternoon, evening?
It says to take one a day but is it really harmful to take two daily?

It's not so much that height is genetic as much as your potential height. Previous generations tended to be smaller due to malnutrition. The effects of growth hormones in our current day food are still being studied.

That being said, unless you're a famished irishman, there's little you can do. If you're old enough to be posting on this board, there's even less.

So I guess it's all genetics then. Fuck.
Males are finished with puberty, at what? 20?

The last one is at around 25. I forget what it is for girls, but I know that we get at least one, and possibly two more growth spurts than they do. Don't get your hopes up though; the last ones are more about mass and shape than height. "Filling out" as it were.
