hey /fit/, what are some good ways to offset the muscle-burning properties of my daily long runs? i'd like to be in good shape, and i'm regularly running between 4-8 miles 6 days a week. suggestions?
would regular weight training help? daily pushup/situp routine?
i run around 40-70 minutes each run. i'm pretty slow, and i believe that the relatively low pulse rate is hurting me.
Carbs before you run. Protein and fats after. Also, weight training will make you body use it's fat storage instead of muscle for energy.
