massive depression thread

1. i have been so depressed lately i haven't been able to excercise at all (when i attempt to i don't have the focus to go all the way)
2. my appetite have been fluctuating like crazy. i get so hungry sometimes it's unbearable and then i feel really sick afterwards
3. i've become reclusive from my friends
4. i haven't gone to school in days

my doctor had diagnosed me today with clinical depression and i have been given a low dose of prozac (fluoxetine)
has anyone else on /fit/ have depression?
does anyone have any experience with prozac?

i'm really really worried and i don't know what else to do
i just want to get better

1. Quit being a pussy and lift.
2. Get some fucking willpower and when it's unbearable do some sprints.

Also you may be getting shitty nutrition. Get a multivitamin, stuff yourself full of food and then take a nap. You'll feel better when you wake up.

Go to class. Go to class. Go to class. It's not free (assuming you're at a university). I flunked out because of missing school, which I blame on depression and pot and being a pussy. You probably feel like you have nothing in common with your friends and you think you are an outsider to them when you are having a spell. Let them know what is going on. Tell your friends you have depression and if they are good friends, they'll help you. Force yourself to eat on schedule and no matter what, eat. Don't mess up your diet. Fap alot.

OP, you need to program your life. "Willpower" is bullshit. For instance, you need to hit the gym every day. Don't even consider the possibility of not going. Think of it like taking a shit: when you need to shit, you WILL shit, you don't have a choice. Or think of it like brushing your teeth: just one of those things you gotta do in a day.

That's the approach that got me out of depression. Every day I had a ritual of things I'd do. Many of them forced me to interact with the world and with people. Go to gym, go to class, take a nightly arts & crafts class, go to grocery store. Gradually I got un-depressed, made friends, got laid, etc.
