So I'm starting dumbbell training and all I have is one 4.4lbs (2kg) dumbbell. I'm pretty weak but even I can do 100+ dumbbell curls with it.

Let's say I'm lazy and I don't get new dumbbells until next week, what effective use can I put this one to?

What kind of set are you using and what would you recommend for a beginner?

Also I have a strong ectomorph tendency if that is of any importance.

I'm assuming your answer is meant to be for the second part of the second question, since it would have to be "none" to answer the other.

In that case I have to say your answer is trivial.

Also jesus christ these things are expensive, why would I pay 2x40 bucks for a bit of scrap metal?

ok I can see that, but for what purpose are those dumbbells then? I can't think of any since kids shouldn't be doing dumbbell workout due to their weak bone structure.

Throw them at fat people. It's not heavy enough to hurt them, but they'll get a workout from trying to pick them up and throw them back at you.

Shut the fuck up

They SHOULD do dumbbell workouts due to their weak bone structure

if anything the workout will strengthen the bones when done properly

Are you sure? I have heard that it will deform their bone structure.

Playing football (actual football where you kick it) and falling down and getting kicked in the ligaments is much more damaging than lifting weights

Pretty much everything you hear about kids and lifting is myths and BS

In many cases weightlifting is much safer than sports except gayass things like table tennis and bowling

Why is it such a big deal, are you parent or kid?

Curls, Chest Fly, Dumbbell deadlift, dumbbell squat etc.
But these require heavier weights.
With enough repititions it'll do something but won't build big muscles at all.

Stick to push-ups, chin-ups etc

I've actually had this one question for a long time. I have a 12 kg dumbbell, and I do chin-ups/pull-ups with it all the time. Is this of any good? Also, what other bodyweight excercise can be upgraded by 12kg lump of METAL?
