sup /fit/. I haven't seen the inside of my gym for a year. I'm 6 feet, 215 pounds, and I want to get down to 200 at least (I'd love to hit 185, but that would take more time and effort than I can spare right now).

My problem is that I love to eat, and I eat when I'm bored. And I'm compulsive about it: if it's in front of me, I'll eat it. I'm a compulsive plate cleaner. So maybe if I just wasn't hungry at all...

Can anyone recommend a good OTC supplement or diet pill that will suppress my appetite and, as a bonus, keep me awake? (It has to be legal because my job has random drug testing.)

OP here. If discipline and "just do it" worked, I wouldn't be here. Duh.

You've practically answered your own question.

Drink coffee. Lots of it.

I find nothing suppresses my appetite more then a whole pot of coffee. I can literally go all day without eating anything with it.

But thats actually a really bad idea. Snacking isn't bad as long its on healthy things. Get rid of cheese crackers and shit, you shouldn't have those anyways.

Honestly, you can eat practically nothing and not lose weight if your metabolism isn't doing anything.

On a slightly healthier tip, has anyone done Fuhrman's "Eat to Live"? Seems like a better way to go--all the greens I can cram down my throat, so I'm not going hungry or without nutrients.

The metabolism thing is true. It sounds weird but you, in fact, have to eat to lose weight.

Try fruits and veggies. In the summer I often only have 1 true meal around like 4-5pm. I just drink water and eat apples the rest of the day. Eat alot. Eat alot of healthy shit.

no, seriously, do you eat breakfast?

if not, you'd be surprised at how a good big load of complex carbs right at the beginning of the day makes it easy to ignore food for the rest of the day. it's stress-free and easy to just eat food to fill your calorie quota instead of feeling like you need to eat.

Worked for me.

If you can't "just do it" yourself right away without any external influence, none of us here can make you.
