Water does NOT lead to bloating or water weight. Drinking more water reduces water weight and helps your body burn fat.

Skinny fat = fat.

Focus on losing fat while lifting weights, and you will then be skinny (hopefully the lifting will have put some modicum of muscle on you so that you're not a waif).

As to water, you should drink at least two litres a day, if not more.

Any specific weight training techniques? And I was wondering if it was smart to combine weights with an abdominal work-out. I used to exercise a fair bit but it was mostly slow aerobic and jogging, so I'm total n00b at weight training, stretches, pilates, etc.
