Is whey protein powder the best bodybuilding supplement to add to a weekly full body workout routine to help gain muscle?Im 21 and slim, but have very little muscle mass, and want muscles bursting out of my chest. If a 24g serving of why powder contains 17g of protein, would it be ok to take 2 servings with a pint of whole milk in the morning before my workout and then 1 serving with a pint of water before i go to sleep, so giving me a total of 51g of extra protein.
yes yes and yes.Though casein is nice pre-sleeping. It digests slower.
Not sure you'll be needing all that protein, plus most Whey offers 24g of protein in a serving. Right before bed take some casein, a moderately slow digestive which feeds your body overnight.
Also, do you recommend any brand of whey protein? I was thinking of getting the Body Fortress Whey Protein in chocolate flavour from Holland and Barett
I like the vanilla flavour personally. Also try to get as much protien from food as possible.. Ie chicken/turkey eggs fish tuna.. etc
>>166455if i weigh about 60kg, would 60-75g of whey protein powder be enough?
>>166481As long as you reach 132g a day.Honestly 30g of whey post workout is enough, as>>166467said try to get protein from solid food, not powders.
Is it ok to take creatine capsules before and after my workout as well as whey protein, to build bigger muscle mass faster?
Hey britfag...Holland and Barrett ain't all that good, chocolate flavour especially is ass. You'll get a better deal and a better brand shopping online. If you have to, get strawberry, it tastes like a milkshake at least
>>166456The brand you posted in your pic is a great brand, I recommend that one
the instructions say to take one scoop of whey with 6-8 oz. of water, what happens if i go over? will it not work properly?
>>166604If you go over, you might spill some water.
>>166604Your commonsense-fu is off today, anon.
>>166604If you go over your body will absorb too much protein at once and your kidneys will fail, resulting in a slow and unpreventable death. Christ.
