I have tendinitis in my wrist i believe and I am going to the doctor to have him give me something. I get a burning shooting pain near the tendon near my left thumb when i do pushing exercises.

I've started uses gloves with wrist wraps to minimize pain when working out.

My wrist did not get better when i took 3 weeks off of lifting and kept it in an ace wrap along with taking celebrex once a day. It was my dads RX so i dunno if i should tell the doc about that. havent taken it in a month.

What do you think he will do? It's been this way for a very very long time. And my bench has dropped about 30 lbs from it, and i cant do any overhead lifts.

Pic related. I had tendonitis in my knee (or at least so i was told). You get given NSAID's to relieve pain and swelling and get told to rest it (tendons take longer to repair than normal muscle). If the problem persists, you can get cortizone shots (isolated steroids basically) to promote faster repairs of the tendons. Blood tests may also be taken to identify any other cause as i got. Of course this all varies on your country.

Its generally seen as something you have for life. When you damage tendons, they normally never repair back to full strength as far as i was told by a few doctors. The best you can hope for is given enough rest it will be at the point where it wont trouble you unless you use excessive force on your wrists regularly.

Given that my passport has already been posted it would be safe to assume i'm not overly concerned of people knowing where i pick up my prescriptions.

Don't lay off the workout when you get injured. Keep working out but be sure to take down the workload.

Ever wonder why people never recover from their injuries by sitting around for 6 months? That's because it rarely ever works.

Just get back to working out and be sure to take a lot of weight off and work back up. Also be sure to really analyse your technique... you shouldn't develop problems if you're lifting right.
