Hey /fit/
I was wonder if any of you have managed to break the horrible habit of squeezing pimples

I do it all the time. It's more like an OCD type thing than a habit I guess, but I really want to stop scarring my face and shoulders. I don't wash my face with a acne wash because I don't have horrible acne. I get maybe one of two black heads at a time, but as soon as i feel a bump I have to go to the bathroom, get really close to the mirror and inspect my entire face for anything that looks squeezable. It's really bad when I have those deep black heads and I end up making a big scrape on my face from trying to push it out. scab < little bump ):

So tl;dr Any tips on breaking my damaging habit?

Well that's what I said to myself

It's a lot harder to break than I thought. I did try

I can't give you any specific tips but when I had acne I just sort of stopped thinking about it entirely. I just managed to put myself in a mind set that one little bump isn't even going to be noticeable to anyone, but it WILL be if I squeeze it. So I went with the idea that it wasn't noticeable, or more like, I went with the idea that it didn't exist at all. Once I convinced myself that there was nothing to squeeze I just stopped because I really believed that.

just use a pin or something
no pain, no scar, no problem

get a washcloth and wet it with water as hot as you can stand. Then, while it's still super hot, press it gently to the whitehead. If it is "ripe" it'll burst painlessly and there's much less chance of scarring/scabbing. Faster healing time is good.

Also, stop ingesting lactose.
