Hey /fit/

If I'm aching after a day of working out, (just upper body stuff like push-ups etc.) Can I work out again the day after or should I be resting.

depends how you feel tomorrow

if its just a little soreness tomorrow and youre not doing heavy lifting or anything, sure go for it

Yeh, I was thinking it's cool to just power through it, but what if that's damaging the muscle I'm trying to build, you know?

There is a difference between "soreness" and injury. You can tell the difference most of the time. Never let soreness prevent you from working out.

Depends on your goals... If you're attempting to build lots of muscle, you're going to get negative results working out when you're sore. Try changing your gym regime so you work different body groups on different days like, shoulders on day, then back the next, etc... That way you won't by working a muscle while it's sore.

depends, are you working the same muscles?

if yes: rest and l2structure
if no: go for it.
