Fucking hell, /fit/. I'm about to tear my skin off.

I get unbelievable razor burn after I shave that itches like mad, to the point where I wake up in the middle of the night scratching my legs for an hour. I've also had some eczema break-outs on my body that itch badly. I have cream for those but since it's medicinal I don't want to use too much of it.

Aside from the razor burn and eczema, my skin is actually quite good.

So my question is, what are the best anti-itch solutions you have that could work for really stubborn patches?

Oh, and sometimes if it gets really bad I'll take a Reactine or some sort of allergy pill to help reduce the itching, but again, I don't want to use that too much since I have no real allergies.

I've been thinking about that but it kind of sucks during the summer for the grow-out time needed.

I was thinking about eventually (hopefully within the next few months/year) investing into laser hair removal. Anyone have any experience with it?

Use a sensitive skin shaving cream, brand new razor, go with the grain, after shaving wash well with soap, use a little tea tree oil or rubbing alcohol on your legs then apply moisturizer.

why not nair, and then post pics of your (hairy) ass and legs in short shorts?

Stripper secret: deodorant. I dunno about on legs, but if you put some stick deodorant on your bikini line after you get out of the shower, no bumps!

I remember this anti-itch thing I got for chicken pox. I used it for years for insect bites, and razor burns. I can't think of the name right now though.

I've tried so many different things. Different shaving creams, razors, lotions...nothing helped.

And I remember now another reason why I haven't gotten into waxing. My dermatologist said waxing is probably the worst for ingrowns.

But Nair is chemicals...that can't be good to constantly use.

Calamine lotion.

Nair itches like bloody hell. Just because it has chemicals doesn't make it bad, otherwise water would hurt/kill us.

What kind of deodorant?

do you use moisturizing shave gel? do you use a razor that has moisture strips on it? I used to get razor burn until I actually invested in a more expensive razor and always had good shave gel on hand.

also, use a sugar or salt scrub on your skin before shaving

I use a Mach 3. I've tried others but that's what I've gone back to. I stuck with Aveeno gel for a while but I'm trying some stuff now from this store called Lush.

I'm trying to get into the habit of using a scrub beforehand now. I also got this body butter/scrub bar from Lush that exfoliates and leaves a pretty good layer of moisturizer behind.

I also have these little alcohol swab-type pads called Clindents (Clyndamycin). They're from the dermatologist for razor burn. They help a little but I guess I haven't kept a good routine up.
