Here are my recommendations (exercise science and nutrition student):
I'm glad your diet is better. 5 relatively small meals a day (300-400 calories apiece) is great for hunger management. So do that. Also, the simple truth of weight loss is that you need to burn more calories than you consume, so keep that in mind. When it comes to exercise, you will lose the most weight with the least likelihood of injury if you perform non-impact cardio exercises (stationary bikes, ellipticals, etc). Then, once you lose more weight, it will be safer (for your knees) to run, which is the fastest (and in my opinion, the most fun) way to lose weight. Hope this helps!
