Can /fit/ recommend VERY low calorie protein bars or other somewhat yummy foods (no nuts) that a vegetarian could add to a diet? I've been on a diet for the past 2 weeks, and even when I load up on soy milk and fake meat products, my intake is still only half of the recommended daily minimum.

Also, is there a difference between eating your nutrients and swallowing them in vitamin form? I'm eating healthy, but just can't get em all at 1100 calories/day.

More accurate is there are conflicting studies. No one's really sure, but I'd err on the safe side since there are better alternatives.

That sounds delicious, and that burger's got 2x the protein of the ones I have in the freezer.

Not vegan, and thx. I'd only heard of the high-cal, weight gain protein powders. Any particular brand, or can I just go with the cheapest?

You want to stick with the big, reputable brands like On. You can usually find them in GNCs or on sites like bodybuilding.com which i've used in the past. Make sure you check the nutrition facts before you buy though.
