/fit/ help me out /fa/ is a bunch of limp wristers.

I'm 5'7 and muscular (38 inch chest, semi-large arms) but also slim (30" wasit). I want to wear skinny clothes, but not the ones made for hipsters (ie. people with no definition).

Where does the /fit/ male shop?

you'll need an "athletic" cut suit. this is any premade suit with a drop of 8 inches or more (that's the difference from jacket or chest size, to waist size). you're right at 8 so go with that. i have a 14" drop.

Alternately, if you don't like the selection in athletic cuts, you can take a jacket from a 38" and match it with a trouser from a smaller jacket with a 30" waist.

Most suit shops should have a combo of choices.

Good info. Find any place with good button-ups?

Made to Measure is your best option or buying a Suit seperate is the second best.

Most ready to wear suits have either a drop 6 or drop 7 waist so that doesn't work for you at all unless you go for a drop 7 and bring the waist in even moreso.

A lot of the really athletic guys i sell suits to usually do Armani TTM.

Thats the price you pay for being such a freak

Either from sport stores, outdoors specialists, skate shops, or I get suits and jackets tailored by a former model who was Miss China, who owns her own shop in the local mall.

I'll just happen to see something that would look good on me, then I'll buy it if it fits and looks good. Go for a walk and keep your eyes peeled, OP.

i last bought an off-the-rack suit about 5 years ago from GEORGE ZIMMER AND HIS IMMENSE MAN-SALAMI at the gentleman's wearhouse, and actually got a nice summer weight suit. but those places can be very seasonal. one season, it'll be all sharkskin fabric that makes you look like a cheesy paisan gangster out of "goodfellas" or an midget nba wannabe. then the next it will be serious, decent looking stuff.

don't worry about "name brand" label suits. go for one that fits your style, and more importantly, fits you. it should be snug at the shoulders (not tight, nor should you look like you're wearing football shoulder pads). buttoned (only one button with a 2 button jacket please), you should have 2 fingers of space from your stomach to the jacket. sleeve extends one finger past your wrist. trousers should gently break over the top of your shoe. no trouser cuffs.
