Ok so heres the deal. I used to be skinny as shit, but after 8 months of working at a place which actually has me lifting and moving shit i am now just skinny.

I have been seriously considering buying some whey for protein and calories and i need to know

On a scale of one too ten how bad does that shit taste when mixed with water?

And just to let you know i have 40 lbs altogether w/ two dumbells so i can mix and match the weight.

What are some exercises that can have me gain the most weight and build some bigger pecs and abs with these weights.

If you could describe the exercise w/ out just saying the name that would be helpful cause i don't know shit about working out.

just some pics so you know what i can do.

18 years old btw

First off, don't bother with protein powder unless you're planning on working out. Taking it without working out is just a terrible idea. Next, you need more weights. 40lbs will not be enough. I guarantee you'll need more than that for your first ever bench press.

Go find/buy more weights, and come back.

You got that definition from just lifting boxes?

Wait, I think it's just because your BF% is extremely low; how much do you weigh / how tall are you?

And aging. When you have no muscle, any lifting is gonna produce something.

Anyhoo, op, you get used to protein powder, it's usually close to flavorless, although the really expensive stuff can taste pretty good.

bodybuilding.com is a good forum for solid info, t-nation.com is alos pretty good.

Flavorless? What the fuck? Man, I have to drink four shakes per day, and I've tried more than a dozen varying types on the market, and they've all tasted either horribly disgusting (low calorie), or amazing (over 1,000 calories).

Lunges and squats for one, but you're not going to get 'bigger' with 40lbs. A person of your size should be doing over 200lbs with a squat to get size.

A lunge is when you stand with the weights at each side and lunge a foot forward and come down on one knee. You can do this one leg at a time and lunge around a room a few times.

Squats are when you grab a weight, stand upright and you squat down to a crouched position and back up again.

Again, you need a lot more weights for these. The lunges may work at that weight, but you really won't see any size gains.

Op you may be skinny but you at least got definition (especially on pic 2) which is a good start

To be fair, I haven't had that many shakes, but when I mix it with water, it seems pretty flavorless to me.

Although, with milk I find it tastes better.

The 1000 calorie stuff that tastes amazing is "weight-gainer", ie: fatass in a tub. It's protein powder mixed with Nestle Quik or something. Stay away.

Whey powder varies wildly in taste between brands. Most suck. If you live in areas that have the Vitamin Shoppe chain, you might wanna check out their "Whey Tech" house brand stuff. It's cheap and tastes damn good, especially the chocolate. Has Splenda in it. The vanilla is great with cereal and oatmeal, but not so hot by itself.
