Nothing you can do. There's no way to 'increase' height...if you're told otherwise, you're being lied to.
Think of it this way: if there were some magical height-increaser, don't you think all the Hollywood millionaires and other insanely rich people would have used it in some capacity, at least?

There's a lot of short people in Hollywood, and a lot of them use shoes to make them look taller than other cast members or when appearing in public
>> Anonymous
>>411347
yeah, there are a lot of short people in hollywood, but i wouldn't say it's preferred at all...in reality, being taller is obviously preferred, if they need to wear platforms and use other ways to look as tall as possible.
>> Anonymous
>>411350
Enhancing footwear is up to the actors being insecure themselves.
Other short actors like Ben Stiller, Mark Wahlberg or Jason Statham never wear platforms and it hasn't affected their careers

One of the famous quotes attributed to James Dean is, when told he was too short to be an actor at 5'8, "How can you measure acting in inches?"
So, I would think being tall helps in Hollywood. Not that being short necessarily detracts, although it can.
>> Anonymous
>>411335
god damnit once again, yes there is a way.
surgeons break your legs then place metalic bracers on it to spread bones apart a little, the growth per one break is about 0.5mm , obviously its not so commonly used cause its a lot of pain and has complications
>> Anonymous
High heels.
>> Anonymous
>>411354

Lets get this straight, Endurance is about how hard the individual work out, has nothing to do with height.

Versatility? what does that have to do with height? next

Fighting? have you ever seen a fight, a GREAT small guy looses 90% of the time against a GOOD big guy, because the big guy can always man handle him, and get him tired and wear him out.

>> Anonymous
>>411362
Surely you mean 0.5cm? 0.5mm would be completely ridiculous, that is like barely thicker than a few strands of hair, not to meantion immeasurable as a person's height naturally fluctuates about 1-2cm throughout the day anyway.

How could a self-respecting person wear these. You might as well wear a t-shirt that reads in bold letters 'I'm insecure about myself'.

Only shallow assholes are going to judge you, and even if you care about what they think, in the end there's no way to win so you might as well accept what you have.

Once you work out a way to get taller, find out a way to get shorter. I'm 6'2, and female. It's seriously hurting my chances to get guys.
>> Anonymous
>>411691

>> Anonymous

Shuddup. The only reason you're not getting guys is because you're ugly, or fat. Don't give me your 'I'm too tall' bullshit.
>> Anonymous
>>411678
yeah 0.5cm, my bad.
>> Anonymous
Wrong.

Depends on your idea of GREAT and GOOD. If someone is a truly great fighter, they'd mop the floor with a big guy who knows what he's doing.

Seen it done a number of times.
>> Anonymous
>>411657
What you said is right, but I think what he's saying is the best endurance athletes tend to to be short (or at least notably tall endurance athletes are rare).

As for versatility, he means in a physical way, such as having better control of one's own body weight, better agility and speed (the majority).

Agree with you on fighting though.
>> Anonymous
I think tall chick is right, for guys like me and others on the border of being considered short 5'9", we often disregard tall chicks because they make us feel like pansies.

I mean at 6'2" her tits would always be in my face, this is a positive, but in addition to this, I would look like a midget, a veritable tit.

Plus the running assumption is that most girls want someone a few inches taller then them anyways, psychological reasons.

>> Anonymous
5'8" is fine, youll be taller than most women anyway

5'7fag here. You generally stop growing at about 21 (at least to my knowledge). Get some boots with heels (to /fa/, go go go), and do some walking or jogging to get those long bones going.

Are you an early or late developer? It might affect the amount of time you have left.

Yes, but who's seriously going to do this? Let's say you're 5'7 and you ultimately gain three inches from having the bones in your legs broken six times...so now you have the legs of a 5'10 person, but what about the rest of you? Your arms, torso, chest, neck...they're all still of a 5'7 person. It would actually probably look pretty noticeable and stupid.

>> Anonymous
>>411765

Fool. There is no shortfag 'argument', it's a fact that people with a lower centre of gravity are more likely to have better agility, and their better strength to weight ratio means they are more likely to be faster and better at controlling their own body weight. Of course this doesn't apply in the same way to elite sprinters such as Usain Bolt, where the need for power has overcome the need for lightness, however they have reached a stage of athleticism that very few of us could ever hope to achieve. I still remain adamant that on average short people hold the advantages I mentioned above over tall people.

Obviously being tall carries more advantages however to say it is better in ALL aspects is ludicrous. I'm going to assume you're incapable of arguing a point without questioning your opponent’s motives, so I'll tell you that I'm 5'9", and I can tell you that I don't allow my judgement to be clouded by my own point of view.
>> Anonymous
>>411802
You assumed wrong. I am perfectly accepting of other opinions and arguing different points of view. Perhaps I was a bit rash (this is 4chan after all); I don't actually thing you are homosexual or worse then me in all aspects. Fuck short people and their amazing squat abilities. However I do have to refute you initial claims a little more. For one, leg span is a very good thing when it come to endurance racing. I ran track for 6 years at varsity level and am less than 1 second away from my college's 400m record.Versatility is, umm, general to say the least so I don't even know what you are trying to say there. Lastly, while fighting is primarily composed of skill, leverage and arm span are huge factors. I wrestled in high school,so i know this as fact.
Can we be friends, Shawn?

5'10 165

majority of 6'0+ that i've run into are either too skinny, uncoordinated, or both
the few that are extraordinarily gifted are indeed devastating, but thats why they get paid what they do.

In real life the problem is, even if you have a 6"+ reach advantage, in a real fight that distance is covered instantly (as the majority of street fights are either lucky punches/flurries, or ground and pounds). You don't have a fucking octagon in real life to prevent you from being cornered, allowing you to maintain distance and take advantage of your range, there are obstacles and terrain in real life. You're going to get closed on, you will take punches, and once they are inside your range you are at a huge disadvantage. Say hello to elbows.

No question size has its advantages though. Especially if they are allowed to dance around and deal damage without you being able to close.
