so /fit/, anyone have experiences with tempur pedic beds? if so share please

I know 2 that have them and fucking swear by them how well rested they get and how good their sleep is, and due to the fact that 7-9 hours of well rested sleep is very important to someone who lifts on a constant basis, and that I have TMJ

I figure a bawler bed might be a good investment but I just want to know if I'm truely paying that much more for something better, not just for the name
so tempur pedic owners - talk!

I like mine a lot. Shit is comfortable. Doesn't make noise. One thing you might want to think about is airing it out for a few days before you sleep on it, if possible. It has kind of a weird smell at first, but then after it settles, it isn't noticeable.

They trap body heat very well, so when you wake up in the morning you will be very hot and probably sweaty. Had to return mine after a few days it was so bad.

I got a memory foam mattress topper at WalMart for 70$ and it's the most comfortable shit EVER. I used to have horrible, horrible back pain every day, and now I don't. I highly recommend not spending $2000 on the whole mattress when a topper works just as well.
buy two for extra win.

I have one, love it to death. Most comfortable bed evar, first discovered them because of my ex girlfriend, she was a cunt but she had one and I fell in love with it.

Make sure you get a good one though, the base model ones aren't that comfy. Go to the store and try out a bunch to find the right firmness for you. Expensive but they last 20 years and dust mites can't live in them, it's a good investment.

Got me a tempur pillow.
Shit rocks.
Feels unusual at first, but then you'll love it.
Best pillow ever.

might be good sleep vs bad sleep on a shit bed but I don't see it being a gift from god that gives you the best sleep ever and repairs your mussles better than anything else

Go for a topper, rather than the whole mattress. I've slept in a few, and they take time to get used to, so I didn't get very good sleep. Also, you get ho as hell in those things. Not very comfortable. :(
tl;dr: get a topper.

supposedly takes like a week or so to get rid of that heat just like it takes that much time to break it in, but most people are impatient

I paid 2,500 for a king sized. It is fantastic. At first, you sleep on it and feel stiff and awkward because it's a new experience and it's also a new bed.
After about two weeks it is the best bed you'll ever sleep on.

Also, contrary to popular belief, sex is not at all hindered on it. If anything, it makes riding more comfortable (for both parties.)

If you have the $1,500 to $8,000 to spend, then definitely get one.

HEY! We've got a memory foam mattress. We went to a bed store and tried a bunch out. We settled for a visco mattress with a 4" memory foam layer.

I found the 100% ones were not as comfortable.

As has been reported at first they are hot as hell. That seems to have stopped but I can't figure out the science behind that one.

Ours is very firm. It makes no noise. They are EXCELLENT for sex. You can't bounce dat azz off it but it is firm and stable and I have always preferred a firm base for sex.

Also paid £200 but places online sell them for £169. Bit of an impulse buy really and should have shopped around more. Online would have prob wanted another £20+ for shipping though which would have bumped up the price.

so are they just better beds or THE MOST BALLER SHIT EVER

It's like this:

You spend a lot of money on them to get a great night's sleep. Then you think to yourself, damn, I could have spent that $3,000 on something else, like a 60" TV or something.

BUT

Then you sleep at somebody else's house or a hotel or something, and you realize how damn good that bed is.

Seconded, bought one a few months ago, then went on vacation, couldn't wait to sleep in my own bed again.

Even if they ARE overpriced... buy one !

2000$/€ for something you use 8hours/day is way less than what you pay for your car, video or almost anything you use 1hour/day...

I have a memory foam pad. It's about 3 inches thick. It fucking rocks. I got it for like $80 from walmart.

No complaints whatsoever. The full on mattress seems pretty good too, but seriously, the pad was sufficient. I sleep like death, and the fucker is plenty durable for whatever you need to do on it, if you catch my meaning.

Best investment in the bedroom I have ever made, next to fucking whores in Thailand endlessly.
