That will give you an exact idea of what you are *actually* eating, and you won be able to lie to yourself: "ah-well, that chocolate bar doesn't count if I do cardio right after."
If you're serious, then the log is worth doing, and if you're *actually* serious about this for long-term , then some ups and downs wont fuck with you.
