When you're depressed, housework is the last thing you want to do. However, I find that cleaning my place up makes me feel quite a bit better, as does taking a shower, shaving my lazy 3-day beard, and even giving my hair a trim.
If you have pets, give them a bath/clean their cages/empty litter boxes/etc. It seems like drudgery, but having clean surroundings does a lot for your mood.
