How much harm does skipping about 5 days of lifting do to my gains? I've had to take off due to school stuff, am I going to be out of shape when I go back?Basically I havent really lifted since monday, and before that, friday.pic unrelated
none i bet. Worse is you repeat the last weights you did.I'm in a similar situation. Last week i stepped on a metal plate from a cd drive and an inch long end pierced the right edge side of my foot. Then i got the flu a day later. Fucking awesome.
It won't be a big deal. Plus, it's good to take a week off sometimes if you've been training hard for a while.
>>423687Should I scale back the weight a few pounds on each lift though?

>>424372OH. MY. GOD. look at those legs. i'm in lust so hard right now i may have to retire to my bedroom for a few minutes.
uh no harm at all?
i think since you skipped 5 days i think you will be back to where you would of been in 5 days.....including rest days so 2-3 workouts probably i think you should take a week off every 12 weeks or so probably.....
>>424155Take a bit longer and yeah, scale back the weights and start again. You'll make more gains by the time you get back up to heavy
And who is that hot chick?
>>424372sooo yummy, omg
You should take about this much time off at least once per season. It's good for your body to have time to rest.
>>424372Woo! Check out those man legs!If I were gay, I would be so into that!
Had a hernia, was off for 9 weeks, lost about 40 lbs (315-265) on my bench, about 1.5% increase in body fat, and my weight stayed the same. Got it all back in 3 weeks.
