Last Monday, I stopped drinking alcohol and I started doing the 6 meals a day thing. 11 days in and my body fat has went from 19% to 15%. As far as I can tell, I haven't lost any muscle.

Go me!

You lost all your friends though.

Yeah, that's actually true. No beer drinking during Euro makes drunk friends seem boring and stupid.

Is it delusional to expect this rate of fat loss to continue?

Yes, most of it is water weight anyway.

I've been running for a year now and I lift weights 3x/week as well. The only change in my regime is the alcohol and the rate of eating. I highly doubt it's water weight.

rate at fat loss, yes, it'll slowly plateau, but won't stop completely. Just keep it up.

you've been doing a shit job then if your body fat was at 19%

I ran for cardiovascular fitness, not fat loss. And I gained a lot of weight/fat when I was in the army last year because the vegetarian menu they offered was shit. Maybe my body-fat scale's just broken, because I sure didn't look like I had 19% fat. I trust it enough to be able to tell if I lose or gain fat though. Just not to give me an accurate number. I've never done the caliper thing, but maybe I should.
