Spot reduction is a myth.
You have to lower your body fat percentage for ANY muscle to be (more) visible. It's just that your torso is where most people store their fat.
If you're already at a low BF%, then it could take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to see anything I guess. 50 crunches aren't really a lot for your abs. Try switching off between planks, weighted sit-ups (machine), sit-ups on a bench with a medicine ball, and jackknives. Don't forget to work your obliques too, or it'll look funny.
