Control your anger, don't let it control you. A simple old adage with interesting connotations.
Realize that anger is destructive. Meaning anger as an emotion accomplishes nothing. If you let it control you, you will become more focused on destroying then building up.
Focus on controlling your mind, your thoughts and emotions. Take some time to analyze why things make you mad and start actively managing your anger and start channeling that passion towards other, more constructive purposes. Perhaps a hobby or something you can enjoy like music. You need to be able to acknowledge you feelings honestly, then to be able to control them.
Take small steps like understanding why you are angry, trying to calm yourself down when a small thing pisses you off. Stuff like that.
You are as in control of your emotions as you let yourself be.
