If there is no such thing as spot reduction, then why do people "cut" and do high reps with light weight.

Pic Unrelated.

that doesn't reduce fat in that area.
cut basically means losing weight to make your mussels bigger
high reps low weight is training your mussels for endurance and it's moar of a cardio workout. It is so your mussels don't get xbawkz hueg.

Yeah but at the same time doing 1000 reps of a 5 ilb dumbbell won't do anything at all, you might as well have done cardio. But your correct if you were comparing, say, doing 300 ilb squatz and 150 ilb squatz.

Old Bodybuilding technique that relies on myths.

Most pro's today don't do that shit while cutting.
Dorian Yates used his same 1 series very few reps workout while cutting and he won the olympia several times.

It's mainly water weight...Just ask just about any wrestler college or high school level. That's what I did. There are a few who do it the safe way and maintain a weight, but if you don't lose 5-10 pounds, you're not gonna have the advantage everyone else has. Those who do it have the strength of a 150 lb person but are wrestling in a 140 lb weight class, for example.
