Apart from exercise, cutting down on sweets, and drinking nothing but water (which I'm already doing) what are some good ways to strengthen my immune system? I'm sick all the time and I'm having to sleep about 12 - 15 hours in order to feel rested. This started at the beginning of last semester and it's gradually gotten worse.

Maybe you're too stressed?
What kind of food do you normally eat? you might lack certain types of nutrition.

yup. Cutting out bad foods is good, but you need to eat good ones too. If you cant get what your body needs through regular food, supplement.

It's highly likely I'm stressed out. My parents got a divorce recently, and sophomore year of college is really bringing my mood down.

I mostly eat white meat (specifically chicken), and pasta is my main source of carbs. I do have a huge sweet tooth, but I try to eat fresh fruits instead of chocolate bars. Usually a banana, apple, pear, or a handful of raisins. Broccoli, carrots and sweetcorn (not creamed) are my main vegetables. I rarely have fast food. Once every other month or so, and if I do, I always get the smallest portion and eat it slowly. I tried multivitamins a while ago, but they made me feel dizzy. I only drink water, or on ocassion skimmed milk if I'm having cereal. I hate coffee and never have soda.

When the dog of my parents was still alive I had to go out with him every day no matter how crap the weather was. This really strengthened my immune system.

Yeah, like I said before, I am exercising regularly. I walk every day to my house to campus and back, which is about half a mile each way. I can have up to 3 classes on a single day so I'm usually walking around 3 miles a day, sometimes more if I decide to walk to the library or the student bookstore. I try not to eat much because of my sedentary lifestyle. Do you think I should try and get some more exercise?

I'm guessing you lack B12 and Folic Acid. I recommend you see a doctor about this, take some blood tests, and see where you stand.

Folic Acid has nothing to do with health, IIRC. but they tend to do the Blood test together with B12.

Could be a winter depression or a lack on vitamins or minerals. For the winter depression I heard lots of sunlight helps.

I used to sleep a lot too, since I started taking a vitamins/minerals supplement and do exercise regular I'm back to <8h sleep and feel much better.

And don't force yourself to drink only water, tea and sometimes a glass of juice is healthy. Drinking tea is relaxing for most people and from juice you get some extra vitamins.

Also known as summer.
How does living somewhere you will die if you go outside 6 months of the year not qualify you as a refugee?

What kind of tea do you recommend? And for that matter, what kind of juice do you recommend? I probably should have mentioned it before but I get awful stomach problems with citrus fruits, especially oranges and grapefruits (lemons and limes not so much, but they still make me feel queasy)

I like cherry and apple juice and those juices where all kinds of fruits are mixed together. Just try some juices and stick to what you like. If they taste to sweet water them down. I used to drink lots of pure juice but now i can't stand the sweetness of pure juice and I always mix them with water. And don't over do it with juices.

Tea: I love green tea, but again, try some and if you like one stick to it.

Diagnosis per /fit/ is guesswork. Plenty of conditions can cause this. Get your ass to a doctor asap, and while you're waiting to get an appointment, take a multivitamin just in case.

Not the guy you quoted, but white tea is the healthiest tea to drink, and it's been proven by scientific studies (not just health store bullshit hype) to boost your immune system.

vary your protein sources. it's not good to eat so few sources, especially one mostly. fish, other meats, other vegetarian sources, all of 'em.

Garlic! Add garlic to anything you can. Also, buy berries if you can afford them. Goji berries are the best, but it might be difficult to find a store that sells them, all depending on where you live.

Make sure to get plenty of rest, too.
