The whole deal with eating large amounts of protein and gaining muscle mass is VERY sceptical. The vast majority of body builders *swear* it's helped them get to where they are, but studies have shown that when you intake a large amount of protein compared to your average RDI whilst building muscle, there is no discernible gain.
However, you still need that RDI, and a little extra is okay. Just remember that protein is even harder for your body to break down than alcohol, so go easy on it.
