So i work for goodlife fitness (huge chain in canada).

so these milk people come in and "expect" our trainers to promote chocolate milk because of some deal they made with goodlife.

They are saying that chocolate milk is good post workout and to tell the trainers to keep their opinions to themselves, meanwhile all the trainers are like "chocolate milk will make my weightloss clients lose less weight because of sugar and fat"

heres a slide from the bullshit seminar we had.

opinions on chocolate milk?

you dont have to mention it, but they are giving away an assload of free milk and bribing the trainers with sports-check gift cards

>>388961
That is like sooo dumb! Who would even believe such fallacy?!?
>> Anonymous
why is chocolate milk bad exactly?
>> Anonymous
>>388989
its a poor pwo protein source since it is mostly casein protein and high in fat.
>> Anonymous
>>388992
but isnt it a complete protein still?
>> Anonymous
>>388981
-Don't mention it
-take chocolate milk home and sell on ebay
-claim to have given out all the chocolate milk, recieve gift cards.

I think chocolate milk is a pretty cool guy, eH is good after a workout and doesnt afraid of anything.

No but seriously, give the milk to starving underprivileged children and tell anyone who asks that chocolate milk is for fat failures. The chocolate whey however is over there. Faggots.

Chocolate milk is a pretty solid choice for after workouts, even though the protein in it is slow absorbing.

Plus it tastes delicious.

I mean, for weight loss it's kinda silly, but for athletes or bulking, it's quite awesome

cwheezy giving bad advice again... go figure
>> Anonymous
>>388997
so what? do you not understand the concept of pwo nutriton?
>> Anonymous
...Why CHOCOLATE milk? Wouldn't normal milk have the same amount of everything else, sans the processed sugar/flavouring/other unhealthy shit?
>> Anonymous
>>389096
carbs, especially high GI carbs (sugar), spike insulin which increases nutrient uptake as well as lowers stress hormones. of course it would be much more advantageous to get your pwo pro/carb source from something faster digesting

You want to know something? skim choc milk is recommended as a PWO in the absence of a proper protein-carb drink (such as on vacation, away from supps, etc) TO EVEN OLYMPIC ATHLETES.

think about that. want sauz? look up Beradi, PHD who works as head nutritionist for a variety of anaerobic Winter and Summer Olympic athletes from both US and Canada.

sure, on general population fatasses, no...they need only water. but for 'seriouz bizness' athletes and people who 'train'....i doubt there will ever be a significant difference over the course of your life if you did choc milk vs. whey and carb.

You say it's bad, and don't say why.

>>389186
I just do both. I love chocolate milk to much
>> Anonymous
>>389188

same here.

when i am doing 2 pwo drinks, the 1st will be consumed immediately after workout and consist of whey hyrdo+BCAAs and D-glucose/waxy maize, the an hr later, the world's best tasting liquid drink, a specific local brand of grassfed, whole, organic choc milk.... (mixed protein and mixed carb source)
easiest way to get in the calories post training and its fucking delicious
