Age and gender? Ethnicity?

Pores, for one, as there for life. You DO NOT change their size. EVER. Me and every other girl on the planet has known this for years. You CAN get products to give off the illusion that they're smaller and it's easy to cover with makeup (sorry for the guys, lol, no easy coverage for you). But once a pore gets large, it's stuck that way. I have huge pores =( but I've learned to deal with them.

Oily faces...well. Males get that a lot more than females. Testosterone contributes A LOT to oily skin, estrogen can sometimes contribute to DRY skin, though.

Acne is more or less a blanket term for a bunch of different skin problems. There are tons of conditions that begin with the word "acne". You need to see a dermatologist to figure out what's going on with your skin.

Pimples are easy to get rid of...IF YOU KNOW FOR SURE THEY ARE PIMPLES. Your typical benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid will handle pimples, but potentially make OTHER skin conditions much worse. The majority of people with a skin problem on their face ASSUME they have typical pimples, but this often isn't the case and there are a lot of skin conditions that look a lot like regular pimples, but are really something else.

Also, a note about skin oil. It's natural and healthy to have oil on your skin. It keeps your face clean and moist.

1.) Pop the fuckers and cleanse with alchohol/aftershave
2.)Whenever your face gets too oily, wash it (or any other part of the body)
3.)Sunbathe! The pimples dry up and go away in a matter of days.
4.)???
5.)Profit!!!

Fail. Pore size, like almost everything else about your skin, changes because of plenty of factors (chiefly hormone production and balance). When (not if, because it will) your hormones do change with age, so does your metabolism, insulin sensitivity, hair, eyesight, and skin. Some people just have the right conditions on the surface of their skin and within their pores (overactive sebaceous glands) for the pores to be clogged and acne to be formed.

1. Insulin, being the mother of all hormones, is central to all of your body's major functions, including testosterone, which causes skin problems when too much of it is converted to DHT. So, there are theories around suggesting that a diet akin to a diabetic will help your skin. It works for some and and doesn't for other I've personally found eliminating wheat from my diet has helped considerably. See the holistic/diet forums on acne.org for some details.

2. Low dose accutane over 18 months is a miracle. Will clear you up and you won't have the side effects. Some people stay continually on it (at 5-10mg/day you are not at all risking your health unless you're a female of childbearing age or heavy drinker).

I took a regular dose of Accutane, and it cleared me, but the oil stayed. I eliminated wheat and started taking Saw Palmetto, and my oil cleared. Now you wouldn't be able to tell i ever had skin problems.

dip method

fill basin with hot water, insert head in said water for 3-6 min, coming up for air when needed. this opens and flushes the fuck out of your pores, cleaning those things out. afterwards, you can dip with cold water for a minute to close your pores back up so dirt doesn't enter again.

cleared me up after years of using stupid facial cleansers and acne creams

Everybody has sebum. But an excess of sebum traps dirt in your pores, causing pimples.
