I have never worked out a single day of my life.

Sure, I have run a few miles now and then, and I've even dicked around on some of the equipment at the gym.

But I never did it regularly, and I had no idea what I was doing with that stuff.

I'm 5'6", maybe 170 or 180 lbs. I wouldn't say I'm fat, but I've got a beer belly and the beginnings of some moobs (Think George Costanza, from that one episode about the shrinkage - pic related). I don't necessarily want to get ripped, but just lose fat.

What should I be doing? Cardio, weights, what? How long; how often? A google search turned up a lot of fitness forums, but mostly discussion by extreme workout buffs who wanted to rip phone books in half with their dicks.

What equipment do you have access to?
You want to do cardio and HIIT, but also some weight lifting (Cardio after weightlifting, HIIT on days you don't do weightlifting) and maintan a caloric deficit.

Make sure the calories you do get in you are slowly digested (OATZ, brown rice, pasta which is rich in fiber) and some lean meats such as chicken breast, tuna, and salmon.

and LOADS of veggies.
