I have yet to find someone who had a problem with Righty tighty, lefty loosy.

From your prospective yes, but respective to the figure they're only going one way.
I'll explain this the same way I'd explain it to a child. In the attached picture there is a little green monster, his right arm is a blue arrow, and his left, Red. When he puts out both arms he stays still [fig.1] but if he puts his left hand down, only extends his right hand the clock turns to the right (clockwise) [fig.2-3]. If he extends the left hand he turns the opposite direction (counter-clockwise)[fig.5]. He can even change it up and go the other way[fig.6].
Next time don't be a fag, think about the little green monster.
