Several questions, /fit/ Anonymous
I'm in pretty good shape with pretty good hygiene, but I would appreciate input for products and/or habits to:

1) Keep my breath nice (sometimes it seems fresh, sometimes I'll get a whiff that isn't so nice)

2) Minimize heartburn (which I sometimes feel in the evening after meals... not yet sure what is causing it)

3) Keep my face clean and happy (I have a decent complexion but my face gets a bit oily and then very dry after I shave or use cleansing products)

4) Stay cool (I'm extremely hot natured and often find myself sweating or at least stuffy when other people feel comfortable)

Thanks.

1) Mint gum. I like Crystal Mint from Orbit" it has little gel things in the gum.

2) Dno.

3) Dno.

4) I have the same problem. For underarms you can go to the doctor's and get a prescription for something that dries them out, but it didn't work for me because it irritated my skin.

Gum doesn't work for me. I'm stuck with the taste of corn syrup, aspartame and sorbitol unless it's the illusive Dentine Classic. But Aquafresh Extreme Clean™ and 30 seconds of great-tasting Listerine®™ after every meal sure help!

I'm almost convinced feeling hot is a derivative of anxiety, because the less anxious I become, the less often this happens to me.

1.) Brush teeth twice a day, use mouth wash, floss, breath strips (I'm not sure how old you are but chewing gum tends to look immature after you get past 20 or something).

2.) Write down which meals cause heartburn for you. See if you notice a pattern or anything, and try to avoid similar meals. Also, Tums maybe? I don't know a lot about heartburn really...

3.) When you shower, use a facial cleanser. I recommend Neutragena because I use them and my face is pretty clear. They make lots of different cleansers for different types of skin so you can find the one that's right for you (I think their website helps diagnose your skin type or something too). Also, Neutragena makes night and day moisturizers which won't make your skin oily, but will keep it from getting dry.

4.) Use Certain Dri? And um... I can't give like any good advice because I'm like the opposite of you: I'm always cold. Wear looser, lighter clothes?

As I'm a Britfag I don't know if you'll have this or if it goes by a different name...

but 2) Gaviscon tablets are really good for getting rid of heartburn/indigestion.

The rest have been answered/I'm not sure.

For breath, use Oral B mouth wash. Listerine is nice and all but studies show that daily use of alcoholic mouth wash may dry out your gums and actually cause more problems than it solves (like an increase in gingivitis, which it supposedly combats).

1)>>29585mouthwash. You could try brushing before sleeping and gargling with mouthwash when you get up. Should keep the stink away and saves time in the morning.
2) no idea
3) If your facial shaving/cleansing routine is making your skin dry afterwards, moisturize it! Letting it stay dry after cleaning is self defeating: your skin's just going to overcompensate and become more of a grease factory later on in the day than it normally would if you weren't abusing your skin. There's lots of facial moisturizers out there, look into it. Or you could even just use a little plain, unscented lotion/cream.
4) Wear less clothes and more cotton if you can. (I think this is why they recommend people with athlete's foot wear 100% cotton socks? It handles moisture better than other fabric blends)

Also, not 100% sure but I think that brushing and not eating afterward is another variable to make the breath smell funky. Can someone confirm this?

Heartburn can be caused by eating to fast.

Slow the fuck down when you eat, and see if that makes a difference.

1) scrape your tongue, especially at the back
2) get checked out for GERD
3) use handmade soaps... the makers should know which ones should be right for you based on which ingredients they use
4) get checked out by a doctor or move further away from the equator

1)Liberally apply feces to teeth, and a clean layer of carpenters' putty should do the trick.
2)Inject baby's blood into every meal with a turkey baster. Be sure to lace it with arsenic. This will successfully overcome your heartburn with matters more urgent than a simple chest pain.
3)Take a rock and scrape it along your face until you are absolutely sure ALL of the oil is gone(Give it 50 good hard scrapes per square inch), then rub salt all over where you scraped. That should make it very clean and happy.
4)rub acetone all over your body. This will prevent you from sweating AT ALL for up to 8 hours. And, for that delicious smell of a fine deodorant, I prefer to use liberal amounts of sour cream... All over my armpits, chest, ass, and of course my penis. This leaves me clean, refreshed and quite happy at the end of the day. Apart from watching my skin peel and my dick shrivel up and turn a numb yellow.
