Supplement Time Again! Anonymous
So, i'm almost out of my Ragnarok pre-workout supplement (with creatine!) and I'm looking to try another pre-workout one; preferably one that, in theory, increases pumps (inb4cheating). I don't do well with caffeine, and I narrowed it down to two products:

Anabolic Innovations Chaos

and Myogenix HyperShock
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/myo/hyperfree.html

I recently tried a free sample of NO Supercharge or something like that; the caffeine kept me up all night. Which would /fit/ go with, and why (presuming you had to chose one).

On a side note, I'm looking to add fish oil and/or glucosamine for my joints. Out of curosity, what does /fit/ think of MuscleTech; specifically their "Anabolic Halo?" Some think its good, others, not so much. Thanks in advance!

NO supps dont work. lifting weights increases pump, not oral arginine administration. the myogenix looks half decent considering it has beta alanine and ALA. unfortutanely, there isn't enough beta alanine in there for a decent dose and I'm guessing the same goes for the ALA. much cheaper if you bought creatine monohydrate, ALA, and beta alanine in bulk. much more effective too

hey, I took anabolic halo, it was alright, didnt see much mass gain, but i noticed a difference when not using it, if u get halo get protein shakes aswell because you are looking to maximize your performance

Thanks for the input; I've read conflicting information on NO supps; some maintain it works (such as Muscle and Fitness) while others (on the internet) say its worthless. I do have creatine left over from the summer; what are you currently/have taken?

I'm currently working through a 5 pound jug of ON whey and another 5 pound jug of ON Caesin; I try and get about 4 scoops a day too. Anabolic halo just looks like one of those things thats too good to be true, and I haven't found a real good review for it yet; what did you notice from it, other than sleepiness?

I have stacked creatine and beta alanine with good results. I tried piracetam to increase focus during workouts but noticed no results. It is well documented, but I have yet to notice results from any GABA supp, so it could just be me. If you like piracetam and decide to take it more than two weeks at a time, be sure to stack it with alpha-gpc or some other choline donor.

Hey brah, I'm reading that Anabolic Signal causes mood swings and needs to be done in cycles; I have enough mood problems stemming from systemic depression/apathy (thus my spending 2 hours at the gym 4 days a week...); otherwise I'd consider it.

GABA? And whats Alpha-GPC, and why would you need to stack it? Is piracetam like adderol?

google gaba. piracetam is a gaba derivative that has been used as an alternative to ADD/ADHD medications. In short, it works by increasing the firing rate of certain synapses in your brain causing your choline levels to deplete quicker and make you feel burnt out if you take it too long or dont stack it with a choline donor. nothing dangerous
