Hi /fit/. I just got over a bad breakup. In a testament to my maturity, I decided to cope with it by not eating anything solid for nearly three weeks.

I lost alot of weight, but as usual, my stomach and thighs came back with a vengeance a few days after regaining my sanity

I am aware of how fucking stupid I am for doing that. I've never done anything like this before and I don't know why I couldn't stomach food for that time. I've since gotten back on a more respectable diet but I am considerably weaker than I was only a few months ago.

I am a simple network tech. Gyms frighten me but if I must venture to one, I will. I'm wondering if I should start running again but considering the 37+(100F+) weather here, would I die? Or am I jumping into things too soon?

I just want to lose this thigh/stomach fat and gain some of my old muscle back. I don't even know where to begin to ask. Halp?

First spot reducing (getting rid of the spots you mentioned) is IMPOSSIBLE.

Second read Burn the Fat Feed the muscle (I'm sure someone else will post it soon enough.

That plus being able to stick to a balanced diet and having the willpower to work out should be all you need.
