Am I the only one with stretch marks? I sometimes think so... All I do is push-ups and chin-ups and obviously that's not going to bulk me up with lots of muscles - but it did bulk me up with stretch marks. I have them all over my biceps and my lats. I don't care about the lats (even though it's worse) since you can't really see them, but you can see them as clear as day on my biceps. What the fuck? There are people that pump themselves completely full of steroids and they don't have a single stretch mark? The only people that I see with stretch marks are pregnant women, but body builders? I may have seen one or two with a small stretch mark. How am I supposed to be happy when I'm not happy about my body? I'd be ashamed to take off my shirt in front of anybody... I guess suicide is the only options.

tl;dr BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

and there may be other typos. Sorry for those.

You should have been eating properly so that your skin would be healthy enough to stretch without getting marks. Multivitamin would take care of you probably.

Girl here. Not pregnant, never have been, yet I've had stretch marks on my hips and boobs. Moisturising regularly, and really rubbing it in seemed to do the trick. :)

Stretch marks form because of the layer under the skin. Sorry OP, you're pretty much stuck with them. Maybe there's a chance that they'll disappear somewhat eventually, though.

I've got very stretch marked biceps and lat areas. Good thing for me is that it was due to being overweight, so I lost a little and now they're nearly invisible.

And yes, I see pumped people with 'em all the time. It really only looks bad when they're your own ;)

Jesus Christ OP...

No one gives a shit about your stretch marks except for you. And no one else will ever care about them, except for you. Your problem isn't stretch marks, it's a poor self-image.

My ex-wife had the same freaking issue. She had some stretch marks on her tits and butt. But you could hardly see them, they were almost transparent. I frequently told her how much I didn't care about them, but nothing would dissuade her from bitching about them incessently. Only one of the many reasons she is now an ex.

And this is a woman we're talking about. You are a fucking dude (at least that's what I gather from your post). Grow the fuck up and stop reading those stupid fucking Men's Health and Flex magazines. Those things are just as bad for a man's self esteem as the Cosmo and Vouge are for teenage girls.

When I got my first stretch marks when I was a teenager (because of weightlifting, they went from my upper chest to my bicep), I was fucking proud. I wore shirts (or sometimes not even that) to show them off. Now that I'm older, I don't give a shit about them anymore. I just care about my overall health. Be a fucking man.

I guess I'm not an objective observer, but I would say that the stretch marks are VERY noticeable. I try not to care about them, but it's easier said than done, I guess. And I suppose I have to either way since I don't see them going away.

Black guys get stretch mark more easily, btw.

I was overweighted (230 pounds). Now i have pretty nasty stretch marks on my back and some in my stomach. For somehow they really never have worried me, only few times when in beach my buddies made some comments about them.

Gaining muscle too fast will cause stretch marks and body builders typically refer to them as "battle scars".
It's just a sign of rapid growth, so if it's from muscle, then be proud.
if they are colored, they will eventually dull away.
If you want to prevent them in the future, pick up some cocoa butter and rub it on the areas.

Does using cocoa butter have the same results as the kind of stretch marks on areas where you've lost fat, rather than stretching it from muscle gain?
Cause that's what I got. :(
