Spot reduction is a myth.
If you want to lose weight, then you need to do cardio. Some people just accumulate fat in certain areas. For males, it's the stomach. For females, it's the butt and thighs.

i lol whenever people ask "how many should i do?" like they could do infinity if people told them so.

do as many as you fuckin can dumbass. any more than about 50 crunches and you're doing them wrong. people always say how they do 500 crunches in a row etc, but they are barely fucking moving and doing pussy 1/4 reps.

technicallys you waist would actually get bigger, because you are training the waist muscles and they are growing lol.

look at britney spears, when she was young had a tiny waist, but now its big because she trained her obliques too much

fuck. i do cardio three to four times a week. alternating between running (bout a kilometer as a warmup) then fencing footwork (about thirty minutes) and about three hours of fencing bouts and i still have a gut.

That's just 30% of the job.
You have monitor your caloric intake.
If you want to lose weight, drop your regular caloric intake by 500 every week until you start losing weight. Once progress halts, drop another 300-500. Repeat. Around 2 lbs a week is good progress. Anymore than that and you're losing muscle.

Drop that to approximately 2640 for a week with cardio. Check to see if you've lost wait at the end of the week. If so, keep going next week. Check at the end of next week. Etc, etc. Once you're no longer losing weight, drop it to 2340. Keep going.

You'll lose weight unless you have a medical condition.

Also, make sure it's healthy food. Chicken breast, vegetables, eggs, lean beef, lean ground turkey, potatoes, brown rice, and fruits to name a few.
