How can I get rid of my acne? I'm a teenager and I only get acne along my jawline and on the sides of my face near where my sideburns would be/hair line is. If you looked at my face front-on you wouldn't think I have any acne but then if I turned my head you would scream in horror. I don't even know where to start. Please help. Thanks.

not OP.
My acne has affected my social life to the point where I would decide whether to go out or not based on the condition of my face. The thing I love most about humans is skin, and my own is terrible. :(

more in the sun and more vitamins

OP - how old are you?

I had the same thing, I realized a part of it was that in class I'd rest my face on my hands, which made it really oily.
but like was mentioned, exercising in the daylight helped. the sweat helped clear my pores and the vitamin D from the sun was good. Worst thing you can do is stay inside and not be moving.
and eat healthier too if you can. Occasionally drink a gallon of apple juice over the course of one day, it'll flush out your liver which will help your skin somehow, that part I'm not sure about, but a dietician friend recommended it.

Exercise, sunlight and good diet are honestly the best cures for acne.

OP here

I'm 18. Are there any types of food I should specifically cut out of my diet? I try not to eat anything too oily or greasy and a lot of what I eat is organic stuff from the grocery store.

food won't really affect your acne much, other than things with a lot of hormones. so avoid dairy if you can, but other than that, nothing in reasonable amounts is going to mess with your skin

it depends on your body. you might be allergic to something, or eating certain foods might make your skin feel greasy or cause breakouts. acne is caused by bacteria in your pores. you can either kill the bacteria (tea tree oil) or stop feeding the bacteria by not eating whatever food makes your skin greasy.

pay attention to what you eat (keep a journal?) and note when you get oily skin or zits. then backtrack to what you ate over the last 1-2 meals.

black tea is a good weak acid to clean your skin. make a cup of tea, put it in the fridge until it's cold, then apply the tea to your face with a cotton ball/swab. let it soak into your skin. it doesn't smell bad or make your face look wierd and it's cheap.

Only face people head on, never turn to the side. If you have to dodge/reposition or make an exit, sidestep or walk backwards.

problem solved
