Lame myth is lame

to burn fat you have to run for a freaking long time. And when you start burning fat, its gonna be 100000x harder. Marathon runners describe the fat-burning perioid, as if they where running into a wall, because its so hard for the body to burn down such complex molecules.

It doesnt matter if you only burn your glycogen depots, because if they arent totally refilled, the body will turn fat into sugar and fill them up with that.

Its all about using more calories than you consume.

Almost, but not quite.

Your body does not turn fat into sugar, fat enters the kreb cycle, and gets broke down, only it takes more to break, and there is heat, water and other stuff left over.

Burning off glycogen is the principle behind HIIT. Once you deplete your bodies preferred energy source, fat loss is gonna happen, provided you don't down more yummy carbs right after.
