When I do push-ups, my arms frequently pop, and I have no idea why. They don't do anything if I bench press, however. I know that this is perfectly normal and not dangerous or unhealthy at all, but is there any way to prevent my elbow joints from popping?

Keep doin it. I had the same problem and as I went along it disappeared.
I have the same thing, my doc told me it was just the way cartilage was around your bones.He told me that I could grow out of it since i'm still growing but for you i'm not sure. Maybe try to stretch or something?
