So I’ve been working out for two and a bit months now (every single day for about 2 hours) but lately I’m finding that the “drive” just isn’t there anymore.

This entire week, when I try to do my cardio, I just can’t motivate myself to put on my running shoes. Hell I can’t even look at my weights anymore without getting a sinking feeling.

I still have a long way to go, in terms of goals (even if I have lost 26 pounds already), so I need to keep going at the pace that I was before.

Before, I was being fueled by rage from a messy break-up (Hulk smash), but that seems to have moved to a crippling depression, or some other garbage like that (doesn’t help when a lot of your friends tell you to make up with your cheating ex or they don’t want to hang out with you…the fuckers).

I need to get my drive back /fit/, heeeeelp! Or, what do you guys do, to keep yourselves motivated.

2 hours seems a bit long, doesn't it?

I brought a heart rate monitor. Now I make nice sheets in OOo Calc and try to top myself.

The 2 hours would be for lifting, cardio would be between 30 min to 1 hour. And it is a bit long, but I try to go until I have nothing left in me...that and I have nothing better to do with my time.

I actually am going through the same thing, after my breakup, i decided to drop weight and join navy, started at 310, but around 260, i just started to lose my motivation, became depressed since i didnt have another girlfriend. Iv been in the 260 range for almost a month and a half now, im happy i lost the weight, but sad that im not going down currently, How im dealing with this is by increasing my hours at work, hanging out with friends every chance i get, and keeping tabs on paper about my weight, If you have something to read that proves to yourself that your losing it, then youll be better off, Keep in there, Im only 22 and I know theres no reason to have to have a gf at my age, plus the navy will take me places iv never been so i can meet more people.

For me, diet controls mood and energy.
Low fat and red meat.
Protein from beans and fish.
Sugar from fruit and rice.
And the sugar is the key. Too little or too much = tired.

Find a new girl. Staying fit to impress her will be motivation enough.
