Sup, /fit/.

I am an 18 year old male and I am 6 foot tall. I weight around 10.5 stone.

According to a BMI chart I am underweight.

I used to be slightly overweight a few years ago but as I grew taller and my weight stayed fairly constant my BMI dropped.

The odd thing is I have a fairly large amount of body fat on my thighs, calves, abdomen, chest (it is not breast tissue, definitely fat), upper arms and lower arms. Surely if I was underweight I would have very little body fat anywhere?

I know people shorter than me who weight more but look much thinner.

Could the explanation be my smallish body frame? As it is small I will weight less with fat not taken into account and the BMI chart ignores this, so the result is not accurate?

Pic unrelated, random one from a folder.

Congratulations, you are and have no muscle to speak of.

Hit the weights hard. Do cardio. Eat like a horse and eat clean. Change your lifestyle completely.

You'll notice the change in general energy level within weeks and it just gets better.

I don't have access to weights and can't really go to a gym as I do not have enough time.

Will running, push-ups and sit-ups be enough?

Well it sertainly doesn't hurt but if you are serious about feeling good about your body and in general you'll find a way.

Buy some dumbbells. They're easily suitable for home-use. You can also add another compound exercise (military press) with them, besides the usual curls and whatever. Press-ups will be good, and you can do variations on them too. Along with crunches and all the rest of it you'll be able to put together a decent exercise routine without hitting a gym.
