Loose skin Anonymous
O.k. heres the situation.

I used to be a 300 pound pile of goo that couldn't bench 40 pounds and after a year I'm now 200 pounds and can bench 150. I lost the hundred pounds in something like nine months and now I have sort of a Fat Bastard at the end of Austin Powers 3 situation.

So heres my questions:

1. Whats the best way to exercise my lower chest in order to fill it out.

2. Whats the best way to deal with loose skin in general (other than $6,000 in surgery)

3. Being 6' 0", 200 pounds and assuming I can bench 150 and curl 120 (w/both arms) I'm I fit. I have no intention of looking like Mr. Universe or anything I just want to be healthy. See pic for reference.

More recent picture, and yes I'm white as a paper plate in a snow storm I'm working on that too....

Sun tightens skin, so lay on your roof or something. Anyway just do lat pull downs, bench flies, and pullups with a towel (seriously)

oh and i forgot, congratulations on being able to lose that much weight. i wish more people could do it.

Nice work mantits.

You need to keep working harder. You are still a disgusting fatbody. That isn't all just loose skin, there's actually fat in there, otherwise the flaps would be paper-thin.

Sun loosens the skin as exposure to it breaks down collagen, the thing that keeps our skin tight. It is the reason why tanned people get so wrinkly in old age. Lay off tanning until you lose that skin.

Good work OP, nice to see someone with the mental strength to stay dedicated to weight loss. My only advice would be to eat exceptionally healthy, as good nutrition would help in the rebuilding. I'm not sure how long it would take for the skin to fully tighten up.

It doesn't. I recently lost 800 pounds and my man tits still sag about three feet below their starting point, intersecting with my penis. I tried tucking them into my jeans but it hurt as every time i took a step the elastic would pull my tit down, quite painful. I eventually resolved to tying my empty tits with rubberbands and paper clips and "folding" them like a piece of paper.

It's great but sometimes when I am at work my tit will unfold and roll across my keyboard. It can be extremely irritating.

definatly work on some decline. it looks like your lower tits need a lot of work. i'd recommend the bender ball. that shit works and it's only like 20 bucks. it builds abs like crazy, comes with a video too

obvious troll.

Um, as far as lower chest is concerned, talking from personal experience, my own pecs seem to fill in the lower section alot faster than upper, and if you look at pictures of bodybuilders or people w/developed pecs the lower section is where alot of the mass is. I'd just keep working on that, cause while you started pretty low 150 is only slightly higher than what i'm at (newbie lifter here) and just working on it might fill it in a bit more (however, looking at your second pic you have a big of chest, might just want to do core a bit also. GET LIKE DANZIG!).

is right in that you still have bodyfat, youve come a long ways but losing more cant hurt. I'd say keep up the routine, keep being a tank.

3.) you should work on increasing your bench
150 is not good for a 200 pound man
the curl is good, assuming your not jerking the weight up with your hips

2.) it will probably shrink more in time
however i doubt it'll ever be small enough for you too look skinny

1.)
if you're thinking about the area around your nipples (on the first pic) - there is no muscle there that you can train

other than that
good work bro
if i were you, i'd look into crossfit
it will improve every aspect of your body

Congrats OP.

Congrats on the weight loss but

>3. Being 6' 0", 200 pounds and assuming I can bench 150 and curl 120 (w/both arms) I'm I fit.

Does nto make you fit. Your numerical weight is ok, but body fat wise, you're probably still 4% high or so.

Also, how many reps of 150? Your bench is slightly below average if you're only doing it once. If you're doing it 10 times, you're in ok shape.

Good work so far, but you're not done yet.

Actually I do about 200 curls (5 sets of 40) at 120lbs and 5 sets of 10 benches at 150 pounds. Intermixed of course.

Plus the bar and bench I'm using is a cheapo Competitor brand you get for like $90 at Wal-Mart. My hands are only maybe 1 foot apart during benching, which a training friend of mine says is the reason it's that low. He figures I could do 180-190 on a standard bench.

too many reps.
Do 5x5 with heavy weight.
Use dumbbells or get a good bar. You are working too much on triceps if your grip is too narrow.
Invest some money in equipment!

how many push ups can you do, ie. chest 3 cm off ground and up.

Obvious troll. 40 reps at 120?

OP picture can't cash those checks.

when you write 'i bench 150' it is implied that 150 is your 1RM, not the weight you can do for 1 reps

Rub vitamin E all over you skin, where ever you need it. Vitamin E has been used in a ton of cosmetic products to prevent wrinkles and lessen scaring.

Just by the vitamin E capsules and break open the gel tablets and use the oil in them.

Seconding this, OP looks like 120 would be more like a 1rm.

I still believe you need to lose some body fat. Getting down to 175-180 or so should be good.

I wouldn't call maxing 150 at 200 "fit"

Uh, your nipples shouldn't be there

chillout guys give the guy some credit.

I know workout people on /fit/ are usually very anal about the terminology.

1RM and all that shitz, but really no one gives a rats ass about it. I mean yeah your other gym friends do, but the world doesn't.

I do, but OP doesn't so let him be.

I say good job on losing the weight and looking fairly good save for the excess skin. It looks like you've got some great advice here on this board, so take it, try it and let us know if it works. :)

Keep benching; you're nowhere near the point where you're going to see large mass accumulations. You probably won't until about 300lbs or so.

>2. Whats the best way to deal with loose skin in general (other than $6,000 in surgery)

Time. Sorry that's about the only way.

I think skin tightens up over time, just keep at it, and congrats on getting where you are already, keep it up!
>> Anonymous
get whatever surgery it is that fixes it, I wouldn't wait for time to fix your leftover skin.

Listen you dont kill someone then skip out on prison because you DECIDE you wanna be a good person.

You dont live life like a fat ass then DECIDE you wanna be healthy and look fit.

You chose to be a 300lb lard ass and that choice costs you things.
