I think it's entirely possible, you would just need some carb and fat sources but that can be supplemented too.
Of course everyone recommends that you eat chicken meat besides whey because meat has protein you can't compensate with whey only, but such protein isn't neccessary.
Many people, me being one of them, ate shit for months if not years, a candy bar + a slice of pizza per day, and we're all pretty much alive, so, go for it.
If you would also take solid supplements like>>42355said, your digestion would adept to it, but if you would only take fluid supplements, diarrhea is inevitable.
