Have you played before? If not, I cannot stress getting used to being hit enough. I've seen some huge dudes not be able to take a hit and well, that won't do in rugby.
Nah,its my first year,but i play rep hockey,so i have taken huge hits,but my bro plays and by the looks of it,its a lot worse
>>287878The hits in hockey are usually more forceful(F=m*a) and well in hockey things are moving a lot faster, but in rugby there are no pads on.If you think you can take the hits then probably work your lower body a lot, you'll need forceful legs. I imagine your coach will have you doing cardio up the ying-yang so if you can take a few days of feeling like shit at practice you'll get you're cardio soon enough.
