OK /fit/, I wish to speak with you.

Now I am a former fat kid. I am not in great shape now, but I am so much better than I was it isn't even comparable.

Basically, my old stats, 17, 5'10/11, 230-235 with no muscle mass to speak of.

My new stats, 19, 5'11, 158-156 pounds. Now I still have some lose skin, some love hands, and a mild gut, but underneath that, I can feel abs. Good abs. When I tighten them, they are rock solid. My arms aren't great, but they have noteworthy form, especially when flexed.

As for the thighs, this almost irritates me greatly on some level, since I used to have thunder thighs, and now they are pretty damn muscular. I never quite had thin thighs. Pity in some way. Ha.

Personally I am still too damaged to walk around shirtless, and I wonder, do I still need to lose weight to get rid of my gut/love handles or is this some temporary dispersion bullshit, because it is pissing me off?

Also, for those former fat kids, how long did it take your skin to tighten up? Any tips?

Like I said, 158-156 depending on the day, usually 156 in the morning, 158 mid-day is my current state.

Like I said, I have lost weight, a lot of it, I am continuing to do so, and I have altered my workout to compensate for the fact that the the heaviest bits come off the easiest comparatively.

So i entered in my information, knowing that I am above my ideal body weight. I'm not sure exactly what I weight right now because I don't own a scale. But the gym at my work has one so I know what I weighed last week with clothes on: 158lbs. And the damn thing tells me my ideal weight is 153!? I'm pretty sure I'd weigh that naked or if I took a big shit. But it sure as hell wouldn't make me look better. I think I'm thinner than th op by a bit but i've still got bitch-tit-itis.

And there is some muscle, but it really only shows when I flex. My forearms are scrawny as hell (I just started focusing them on my very last workout) and my upper arm skin isn't tight enough to show it (And it isn't a lot, more of a light toning that would look good if I wasn't skinny-fat).

Did you not pick up a single heavy object doing your attempted weight loss? You look bad. You are not a former fat kid, you are still fat. Just less fat. Did you do something silly like eat under 1000 cal a day?

Hell even body weight exercises would show a tremendous improvement for you. If I were you I'd worry much less about weight and much more about gaining any amount of lean mass possible. It would go a long way to making you look much better.

That picture is of someone 5'10" & 200 - 210.
This truth is what it is not what you say.
At your claimed height and weight at less than 160 lbs you'd be very lean and in very good shape.

I know because I'm 6'0 and been both of those weights.

No. I am well aware of fat and how it carries. That is not what this depicts. It's flabby, but it isn't very heavy. The skin is lose, hence why you see little muscle and it appears fat. But it is not.

I was quite literally at the doctor a week or two ago and weighed in at 159 (midday) and height was 5'11 and some odd measurements.

Judging from your pics, you just need to lose more fat. You don't have loose skin or any kind of problem, you're just still a bit fat. You can either try to build muscle and stay at that weight or you can try to lose about 15-20 more pounds.
