A lot of this board deals with LOSING weight, but what about those who want to GAIN weight?

Eat healthy meals, not very much pop/junk food, though, don't work out.
Ideal weight, 135+

What should I do to get some pounds on me?

Force yourself to eat. If you want to grow you need to eat big. I went to a chinese buffet every other day for lunch, while drinking boatloads of milk everyday. Squats, deadlifts, rows, chin-ups, and presses will all add on some serious muscle to your frame.

Find your maintenance calories and eat 50% more than that. Don't load up on milk like>>183773says because milk fats are the fucking worst thing in the world for you. Eat grains, cottage cheese, protein shakes, eggs, etc. Fucking load up.

Protip: If you like Indian food, go to lunch buffets and eat the creamier dishes (saag paneer, etc.) and the chicken stuff. Indian food is high in calories from healthful sources so it's easy to bulk safely eating it.

If you're not exercising, then yes, it'll be bad for you. The saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, and cholesterol are good for you if you're trying to increase in size.

What do you have against saturated fats? Especially against the ones from milk? And I don't think you realize it, but creamy Indian foods use A LOT of milk and butter in their ingredients. And all the foods you listed are typical foods from a bodybuilder wanting to maximize his protein. You NEED fats and carbohydrates to gain just as much as you need protein.

eat lots.

i was 132 for a good long time and i wondered what was different about me and fat people. then it hit me: fat people eat like pigs. so i started eating fast-food and shit like burgers and a&w poutine (canada-fag here) and i'm up 12 pounds in the last month or two. i was only eating like 2 meals and a snack each day, now i try and eat 3-4 meals and more snacks, and it makes a big difference. it's hard when you're busy, but that's why you do the fast-food thing.

guys, saturated fat and cholesterol are the main ingredients used to synthesize testosterone. as long as you are training hard, its beneficial to get a bit of it in your diet every day. hence whole eggs, olive oil, nuts, ANIMAL FAT. etc

fats are essential for hormone production and regulation, as well as immune function and many many other things.

ill take in over 200g of fat from healthy sources every day. people freak when i tell them that, i am not fat. but i also take in 250~ g protein and ~400 g carbs per day as well

LDL is 'bad' cholesterol. HDL is 'good' cholesterol. You have nothing to worry from 'bad' cholesterol if you are eating soluble fiber that you would get from fruits.

Yes, and? Also, Indian foods use clarified butter (fat solids removed = much less sat. fat) and curds such as paneer and yogurts rather than raw milk. The fat contents of these things change when they are produced. It's not dairy that has the bad fats, it's just some dairy - mostly milk itself.
