Newfag on /fit/ here.I've started going to the gym regularly for the last 3 months on a cardio routine, starting at a basic 30min/day, three to four days a week. I've gotten more comfortable running, and I really want to increase my time to over 30min. I thought my stamina was ok, but I instantly get a cramp in my lower left stomach-area each time I go over ~35min which totally floors me, ending my workout./fit/, how do I get over/prevent running cramps?(Pic unrelated obviously, short on cramp pics)
My strategy is just to clench my abs until it passes, which is usually a couple minutes. That's all I got.
Just gotta push through it. Your body will adapt. Maybe try working upto the faster pace more slowly, or something..
Inhale on left step, exhale on right step.Every other step if you are running faster.Basically what you are feeling is stretching of the diaphragm.
