So /fit/ quick question.

i have always been fat, my whole life since i can remember.
i have tried many many times to diet and lose it, closest i ever got was 30 pounds of my goal.
my ideal weight would be 220, and right now im close to 280-290
i just want to get it out ASAP
would eating nothing for an extended period of time only drinking water advisable for quick weight loss?

losing weight and toning up requires a mix of cardio, lifting and a good diet

You'll lose weight extremely quick, but when you'll start eating again, your body will turn pretty much anything you eat completely into body fat, so you'll get fatter than you were when you started in no time.

No... wouldn't lose weight very quickly at all. The body goes into starvation mode. If it were a simple as not eating for a few days, the world wouldn't have such an obesity problem. There is no trick to loing weight quickly. All you can do is cut calories while still burning them. In order to lose weight all that needs to be done is to expend more calories than you intake. HOWEVER, your basic metabolism grinds to a halt if you're hardly ingesting anything. For a male your size you should probablly cut down to about 1800 Calories a day.
