Hey /fit/,
I'm living at my grandmother's over the summer, and I'm trying to figure out why food never seems to satisfy me like it did during the college school year.

The stuff I'm eating here isn't that good for me, simple carbs and stuff from TV dinners she buys for me (OK, let's be frank -- they're horrible for me). But they aren't that much worse health-wise than what I had at the college cafeteria. And yet when I was at college, I lost about ten pounds without doing anything, even though I ate more at each meal than I do now.

I'm suspecting it has something to do with scheduled mealtimes. Since my summer job involves me working from home most of the time, I can grab a meal whenever I want, whereas at college I had a limited number of meals a week -- and I usually made a point of eating with my roommates.

Does the lack of scheduled mealtimes seem like a reasonable cause?

Perhaps you're just more active when you're at college?

Scheduled mealtimes could have a small effect but I wouldn't attribute too much to it.
