human beings are dumb.
i rage in the grocery aisle everyday at all the "lose ten pounds in two weeks" bullshit.

I saw an ad the other day for "I can't stay thin", with "yo-yo dieters": people who eat healthy and exercise one week and then cram down burger king and lay around on their fat, lazy asses the next week

i wanted to yell at the TV "THEY MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG IN THEIR GOOD WEEK, THEN"

The biggest loser made me raaaage hard. 4-6 hours of exercise a day, wtf... then the people who actually lsot pounds of FAT (like 2 pounds a week) get sent home and the fucking lard asses who lost 20 pounds of water weight go on. The sad thing is other people watch this show and think it's right and get discouraged when they don't lose 18 pounds a week.

The BEST show to watch is X-Weighted. I don't know if you guys get that show in USA, but X-Weighted is fucking amazing.

You can lose 10 pounds in a few days, 20 pounds over a weekend, body builders do it all the time. But WEIGHT LOSS and FAT LOSS are two different things. Water weight really mindfucks people who worship the scale.

You show me a magazine that explains this in the grocery checkout aisle and I will eat my words.
Or throw them away.

I didn't say the magazine said they would lose just water, and actually end up being FATTER than before (because whatever weight they lose would mostly be water and lean tissue, so they'd be FATTER than before essentially)... but it can be done, and when a lazy fat fuck sees that they can step on a scale, take some pills for a week then step on again and feel thinner well obviously they will buy that.

If they were serious about weight loss they'd exercise and cut out the junk, period.

Heh, I'm glad I'm not in his position. I can handle 3 portioned meals a day very well.

Lazy people get laid more because they aren't perfectionist fucks like us.

I'll catch hell for this, but... crazy crash diets aren't that bad as a starting point. I mean, it's not like they have muscle to lose at first. Cutting is for experienced weight-lifters. If you haven't lifted for a half year at minimum, you aren't cutting, you're just plain dieting... and you might as well lose weight as fast and as crazy as possible, because you have no LBM to lose.

Not completely related but I freaking love this show. I just watched this one episode online where this beauty pageant chick loses weight by only eating cottage cheese for a week.

In the same episode there was a really dumb whore from Florida was was 250 lbs and her goal was to be 200 lbs (she wanted to go to the beach in a swimsuit for once).

Her trainer made her some plain boiled chicken and she looked like she was going to die eating it, as if it were so fucking hard to swallow. Probably because she was eating something that didn't taste like Doritos and cream cheese for once in her life.

True Life weight-themed episodes bring the LOLs.

Cottage cheese is a good way to diet, though. That shit is muscle-sparing as fuck, if you look up the literature on it. That, a multi-vitamin, and some fish oil tabs are all one needs.

Because if the cottage cheese thing is true... tell me moar, please.

http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20040416/dairy-foods-fat-weight-loss

Calcium, particularly eaten in natural sources like dairy and salmon, helps fat cell activation.

Next, dairy also has casein protein, which is superior over whey in dieting. Read this abstract:

http://content.karger.com/produktedb/produkte.asp?typ=fulltext&file=anm44021

Notice how casein beats whey for protein-sparing in a hypocaloric diet. Whey is just for post-workout; casein is better at all other times.

So, low-fat cottage cheese is a very good bet, even better than tuna and salmon, because fish oil is so easy to get from pills, but the benefits of dairy products really can't be taken artificially.

Hahaha oh man he's pissed cuz he "gained over 11 lb". Ez waterweight. Now he's keeping at 190 lb by eating 2 normal sized meals a day. Sounds like major fail.
