5'7'' 180 here So if I just eat 5 small meals a day that consists of lean proteins and complex carbs each meal and exercise everyday how long will it take to lose 50 lbs?
>> Anonymous
I've lost about 40 pounds before the right way ate very healthy exercised everyday, but then I started to not eat... got sick then all the weight came back on. Will it be more difficult this time to lose weight?

>and don't eat red meat no matter how lean it is

Fail. There's nothing in red meat that's horribly bad for you in moderate amounts. Red meat is highly nutritious.

Are you a girl? Coz you'd wanna be to weigh 130lb at 5'7".

Either way, you could probably do it in 6 months if you keep at it. You drink much alcohol, coz that can screw things up, soft drinks too, sugary snacks, etc.

Also, weigh yourself only twice a month. Focus on how much better the exercise and diet will make you feel, then use your weight loss numbers to give you a morale boost. If you're feeling good during the process, you'll tend to not obsess over the numbers and just let it work itself out naturally.

Losing weight is as gradual as the sun and moon rises and a lot of people just give up when they see they aren't thin within two weeks.

>would exercise for 3 hours.

THat is waaaay two much, you want to limit yourself to 60 mins of cardio and 45-60 mins of weight training. Anything more is counter productive in most cases. If you ever plateau (hard to lose weight doing your routine, or gain muscle, whatever you're aiming for, >you can't do both at once btw) then all you need to do is add more calories to your diet for a few days, then drop them again (zig-zag method) and change up your routine, add more weights (or take weights off, one step back, two steps forward).. that should help you break through the plateau. It's all covered in that book I suggested, give it a look.

12000 is waaaaaaaaaaay too low for a male. That is the bear minimum for females... seriously, less calories =/= less weight. It feels that way but eating more, and exercising is the REAL effective way to lose weight. Eating 1200 a day will make you lose a lot of weight fast with exercise (or without any) but you'll realize a lot of it will just be muscle and water and once you stop you'll gain it back quickly (yo-yo effect).

If you're serious about losing the weight, read the book, apply the knowledge, find what works for you and do it. Don't expect to hit your goals sooner than 6 months. You get what you put into it.

1200 cal/ day? hmmm. whatever.

well, it really doesn't matter what you post here. people lie about cheat meals, and "forget" snacks. whatever.

this is a number. you can't lie to it or make excuses about it like you would on the internet. you take in extra calories, the time required increases. you skip workouts? the time line increases.

of course there are all sorts of minor tweaks that can be added in, but for a raw number it's what you're asking for.

so for a 600 calorie/day deficit (which is a good general number to aim for), you're looking at about 10 months (291 days) to lose 50 lbs.

The bacteria that lurks in all red meat and the eggs that those bacteria lay which AREN'T killed at 160 degrees, which is the typical "safe" temperature for cooking beef. They sit in your body for your years, along with parts of red meat that simply aren't digestible.

If you eat red meat even once a week for most of your life, you've likely got 10-15 pounds of undigested garbage in your body.

Yeah, yeah, but HURF OUR ANCESTORS ATE TONS OF RED MEAT. Yeah, they also DIED naturally at like age fucking 30.

And yet they lived longer than early neolithic farmers who ate 90% vegetarian diets.

Typo, but whatever. It was supposed to say "...and the eggs that parasites lay". Even when cooked, parasitic eggs are all over even organic red meats because they aren't destroyed at 160 degrees.

And not all bacteria in your GI tract is supposed to be there.
