which is better exercise: swimming or running?

also, any keen swimmers here? how many lengths do you do per session and which strokes do you use?

Not all runners are great swimmers, but most powerful swimmers are also good runners. Running is a hardcore cardiovascular workout, but swimming can be too when you push yourself, and most importantly swimming doesn't tax your joints and bones like running does. I'm an amateur swimmer, and I swim between 1500-2000 meters per session. Freestyle/Breast.

I would swim if I was comfortable with my body. Instead, I run with a shirt on. Fucking sucks too, Louisiana weather isn't forgiving.
