My goal this year is to get on Varsity soccer,
but I havent played in a little more than a year.
And god knows I'm the biggest fucking procrastinator ever. Nevertheless Im going to try and work my way to raise my endurance.
I know damn well I could just google or ask a fellow athlete, but Im here on 4chan and I'm asking you guys,
For a total lazyass such as me, whats a good starting length to run that I can slowly increase, and how often should I do it? Every day/other day/etc...?

You should REALLY do HIIT if you want to get into shape for soccer. But seriously speaking, soccer is a team sport, if you want to be a great player you have to train with the rest of the team, otherwise you'll end up like all those failed soccer players that play in the third national wait a minute why the fuck am i discussing football with an american lolkthnxbi

The last sentence was totally unnecessary. Im simply a fellow athlete seeking advice; my nationality should have nothing to do with it.
And Im not trying to get in shape for soccer SKILLS, Im trying to get in shape for soccer by exercising on my OWN so I'll have endurance to run; just because I run by myself doesnt mean I'll be an insufficient team player.

Well you're in high school, maybe college so maybe 5ish (what I do), stretch, go RUN, not jog, two miles and time it, come home and do weighted jumps (hold a 20 lb. weight or attach some heavy shit to your legs, squat down and jump as high as you can.) 4 sets of 10 jumps. Do a couple ab workouts and shadowbox. It may seem weird to shadowbox for soccer but everyone knows when you run a lot your arms can easily get dead and limp, so you'd wanna get them used to being up and able. good luck

OP here, and she does not have the endurance to run 2 miles without dying.

long distance running has about fuck all to do with soccer. so don't bother. you're looking at hiit/interval training/lactic acid tolerance so you can power up and keep going the whole game through. probably weights as well to help the power developement and assist injury prevention.

I think I have until maybe September to train, since it starts next school year. I'll look into the HIIT and start eating a little healthier so I won't run out of energy so quickly when I run. Thanks so far for the input from you guys; more is always appreciated.

You need to have more confidence. When I was in high school I played lacrosse, and I only started it my junior year. Until then, nothing. Couch potato. If you're a teenager or a young adult, you CAN do this to get in shape:

Jog a lap around a track.
Sprint the long way. Jog the rest.
Sprint a lap.
Jog a lap.
Sprint the long way. Jog the rest.
Jog a lap.
Sprint two laps (run as hard as you can, if you can't sprint, it's ok. You're gonna become better at it.)
Walk a lap (cooling off)

As a 16 yo that had never been in a competitive sport (or any other kind of sport, rly), I did exactly that. Everyday for the pre-season.

You can do it. If you need help, I run every weekend, and I can give you some advice on how to endure it. It's not fun, but you can do it, and you'll feel a LOT better after it.
