Sandbag noob Anonymous
new to lifting, been doing a LOT of reading in the past month however. I currently only have sandbags to lift at home (200 pounds).

I started lifting last week, but have been doing chins and pistols before then for a few weeks (I know not very long).

I am currently benching about 75, overhead pressing 75 for 3-4 reps and squatting 90 for 4-5 reps. However, my problem is that I don't feel my legs are truly getting a workout. This is due to the difficulty of the sandbag grip. My hands and forearms are getting monster workouts, but I feel like they're limiting my weight on the squat so much that it's not helping my legs much.

I am 18 years old, I believe an ectomorph but I've never been a hardcore lifter. 6' and 150 pounds. Been eating 3k + calories a day, whey shakes after workouts, etc. Nutrition is not an issue at this time.

What is the best way to work my legs right now since I don't have hands yet?

I would be very interested in knowing how to clean it to my shoulders without using my arms as much, because I wan't to start squatting more than 90 quickly. I'm adding weight every workout but it still feels like I'm a pussy

are you going paralell or below on your squat? this might be why you're not getting a great workout from your squatz.

Usually you grow hands at age 0. If you have none, see doctor.

I've attempted pistols before, but I can only really do box pistols or with my leg behind me instead of in front. Neither of which challenge my legs all that much. On the standard pistol I simply cannot keep the balance.

well if you can't afford weights then depending on the size of the sandbags you could probably just put them on your shoulders
