So, /fit/.

I'm 17 years old. I have been attending a gym nearby for nearly 4 weeks now. I go at least 3 times a week and my prescribed workout there is as follows:

Cardio

Treadmill, 18 minutes.
Upright Biking, 18 minutes.
Recumbent Biking, 18 minutes.
Cross Trainer, 18 minutes.

Muscle

Chest Press, 3 sets, 20 reps per set, at the moment at 33kg.
Lateral Raise, 3 sets, 20 reps per set, at the moment at 33kg.

Why not beef up the weight and do less reps, and why 18 mins on each machine for cardio?
