soup /fit/ me and my gf are going to start down the road to being a bit more fit..im going to start running again..but she has problems with her joints (for lots of excersises) and thinks she gets shin splints from running..i keep preaching no workout will work unless you sweat your ass off (running)...i was just wondering what is a good intense cardio for her to do...or will the shin splints stop botherin her after she runs a few times
Anything that gets your heart rate into the 140bpm range is ideal for burning fat. If she can't run, have her ride a bike.
Try the eliptical at the gym.I have patellar tendinitis and its really easy on the knees. Not having to pick your feet up also will eliminate pain from shin splints.
