Through summer I've been going from skinnyfat to regular/muscular looking, goal is to get cut. I did this through dedicated exercise (cardio and lifting) and a protein-rich diet. I gained about 6 lb on the scale in the process, but ended up looking much much better than ever, and now have 2 weeks left before I go back to college.

But, problem. A week ago I got sick. So sick I couldn't run. I even ended up undereating (only 1700 calories as opposed to 2200 daily) because I didn't feel hungry, and the waterweight just kept stacking up. I recently got better and got back to my cardio and lifting, back to the same heavyass weight level as where I left off. However, I'm starting to look skinnyfat again. Throughout, I've varied my lifts and varied my cardio and varied my diet, which is at 2200 calories right now. My midsection turned back into a hell of a lot of flab and I can't see those hip lines anymore unless I fleb the fuck out of my abs and pull the skin back... WTF HAPPENED, /FIT/, PLEASE TELL ME?
