dont lock elbows, or at least dont snap them into a locked position its really hard on the joints. a diamond pushup is when you form a square by connecting your thumbs and pointer fingers instead of the normal under-shoulders hand position for pushups.
for more bodyweight exercises check out the royal court: hindu squatz, hindu pushups, and the back bridge. the book combat conditioning by matt furey is really informative on bodyweight exercises.
