Hi /fit/, I wanted to check in with progress on how I was doing with personal fitness. I couldn't afford a gym membership so I'm looking for good exercise videos I can play on my computer and do a workout to. In the meantime, I audited my diet and am concentrating on eating more fruit and vegetables and preparing fresh foods.

The only thing is I'm very poor right now (yeah, internet's getting cut off soon too), so I was receiving "pantry boxes" from a donations place for a bit. Most of these things are canned and I can't eat them--they do include things like carrots, though, so I've been cooking those and freezing the hugeloads of chicken they've been giving me. They also give me dried milk, some cereal, bread if they have it, and dried goods.

I noticed the other day, though, that I tried eating one of those spaghettios things and I just couldn't. Too much salt, I had one spoonful and I just threw it in the trash. When there isn't anything fresh, I peck at what I have. I've never done this before so there is definitely an improvement taking place. My body must be rejecting salt now, it makes me happy because I'm forced to eat only good things.

Working on a diet when you're really poor sucks, but I'm happy I just don't eat anything anymore.

Hey brah, cool story. I sympathize with your current economic predicament. Since you said you won't have a gym membership, I recommend that you check out this website full of good bodyweight exercises and google as well to find more.

Its the exact opposite actually. Canned tomatoes are MORE nutritious than a ripe tomato eaten right off the vine. The ones in the cans are picked sooner and thus have more nutrients.

Really?
Tomatoes must be one of the only fruits or vegetables that keep nutrition after the canning process!

I actually love these, I end up ending a few from the can before using them for cooking.
