Any guys with wide hips?

I'm 6'1 about 160, really skinny with narrow shoulders and a slim waist. My hips make me look very feminine and I hate it, I usually wear loose clothes to cover it up.

What kind of exercises do you recommend to make the hips look smaller?

I'm currently doing yoga, I'm wondering if it will accentuate the problem.

That's trap material. Dress up as Jun and snap some fap-worthy photos instead. 4chan will thank you!

wouldn't getting fat only make things worst?

Well, it definitely won't make you any less feminine. I'm assuming the pic is you, in which case the problem is that you're just very scrawny, and whatever mass you do have is fat.

Solution: Go on Amazon, buy the book "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe, read it, and get a gym membership. Follow the program for 6 months DOWN TO THE LETTER.

put some weight on yourself at it'll go away. I was 5'10 and 135 lb and my hips really stuck out. Now I'm 170 lb and I look fine. Make sure to do pullups and shit as well, though.

Pic it's not me, my ribcage and hips are bigger.

I've done weight training before and it's just not for me. I ate like a pig for three months and couldn't gain a single pound. It's to fucking stressful to follow a program to the letter specially when you're working and studying.

I do yoga only to stay active, I'm thinking about starting some martial arts training.

Then you didn't do Starting Strength. When you find your 5RM backsquat is increasing 30 pounds a week, I think you'll find weight lifting is for you.

>It's to fucking stressful to follow a program to the letter specially when you're working and studying.

You can't do three workouts per week? Give me a fucking break. How damn lazy can you be? If you have time to spend on 4chan, you've got time to work out.

I recommend working your lats to widen your back/chest appearance from the front to outpace your birthing hips

lol op you are a fat weakling

protip: your "wide hips" are the least of your problems.

ITT: my chest is scrawny so my hips look big.

You don't need to buy shit, or follow shit ot the letter. Start doing bench presses, flys, lateral raises, military presses, and rows and your chest will expand decently. Then your hips will fit right in. Losing weight never hurts either.

I went from big hips to decent hips that way and I didn't have to torture myself to do it. Only took about 2 months work, 1 1/2 hours every other day with 30 minutes of that being cardio.

And believe me, I'm a lazy ass SOB, and I still managed to stick with it, so you've got no excuses.

i have the same prob as OP
truth is i didn't do enough physical shit during childhood, thus the underdeveloped upper body issue

as previously recommended, work on your lats, etc etc - focus on building up.

going to the gym also has the strange side effect of killing apathy / giving a testosterone rush that you may abuse to your liking

I have no problems working out. The problem I have is stuffing myself with food six times a day. Is stressful having to stop a report to eat a shitty can of tuna. Or eating a bland chicken breast in my 5 minutes between classes.

dude you could have the most perfect body in the world and body hair will still make you look disgusting. if i were you, i'd wax it. dont even think about shaving it ..

Plenty of us survived college. You aren't christ on the cross for having a report to do. It isn't "Stressful". You want stressful? Try graduating and not being able to find a job, then paying your student loans.

I never had more discretionary time than in college, and its myth otherwise.

I mean a report at work, try telling your boss you're getting late to a meeting because you've to eat before lunch break.

Nobody is asking you to prepare a six course meal.

Eat a banana. Or some yogurt. Or bring a baggy of little carrots.

I love my large hips. I can rub and hug myself and feel like it is a woman.

You're right. Any exercise will work for a novice, but a well-organized, and time-proven plan like Starting Strength will work better than hopping from machine, to machine, to the "curl rack," until you get bored for the day.

So are you going to make a CF thread or do I have to?
>> Saigaguy !n87gAqL9/w
Stop exercising immediately, shave off all body hair and start crossdressing.

Then post pics in /k/, because >50% of the posters dig traps for some reason.

I'm not going to, but I'll gladly explain it to anyone who is interested or who could seriously benefit from it. I (unlike most CFers) don't see it as the end-all-be-all program, but it is a damn good one that completely changed me from a slobby nerd. In this case, the OP would be better of with Starting Strength, which IS the end-all-be-all program for novice lifters who lack any definite goals but want to build strength/mass.

Also: damn this board moves fast.

I'm pretty much with you on the CF thing. The program is useful (especially for a guy going into the military, like me) but the marketing puts me off my lunch.

OP, I have the same problem. No matter how much weight I lose, I still look odd because of this. I'm working on tone right now to try and make it a little better. Unfortunately, we are all slaves to our genetics. I'm 5'9", 210 lbs, but have very dense, wide bones. So unless I'm willing to look emaciated, and go anorexic, I'll always be considered obese. It sucks, really. Hopefully a nutritionist can give me a good goal weight.

I also have wide hips. It was annoying when I was skinnier and worked out since I wish I had a more narrow or v shape. Is working out and building up your upper body the only way to solve this problem?

Unless you want to take a butcher knife to your hips, yeah.

I would love to have wide hips, they look good combined with a wide chest and slim waist. At least I think so, I myself have broad shoulders, and from the end of the latissimus it goes straight down to my feet. :/
Lucky you, start training now or it'll be wasted
>> Anonymous
lift and make your chest/arms/back bigger so that you fill out
>> Anonymous
Fuck OP, I was thinking of making this thread. I have huge, child-bearing hips. Sucks I'm a guy. I look like the OP's picture but a little heavier. 6'3" 200lbs.
>> Antonymous
I have very wide hips, but my wide shoulders seem to make up for it. Though I still wish my hips weren't that wide, as I idealize the triangle shape.

Bulk up your sides noob.
