cold water Anonymous
a calorie is a measurement of heat, it is the amount of energy needed to raise a liter of water by 1 degree C. bearing this in mind and that your body is 37 C, you can burn calories by drinking as much as you can handle of very cold water, in fact you will enjoy doing this as you exercise. the colder the better and the more the merrier

Your body doesn't intentionally warm up the contents of your stomach. It is warmed by the waste heat generated to keep us alive. If however you were to situate yourself somewhere cold you will be forced to generate heat to keep you warm, drinking cold water then could also help you lose weight.

actually, the water would cool off your body, forcing the body to burn calories to keep it's temp up, but if dont believe me, try swallowing some ice cubes on a hot day and see if you shove a tongue depressor up your ass & can shit a popsicle

Studies show this burns negligible amounts of calories for the pain it's worth.

At least for me, cold water is intolerable. It wouldn't be worth the effort.

I just got a stark errection and smelly toungue depressor.. it didn't taste to good either.. but i couldn't let it go to waste

studies dont need to be done, it is plain physics.
do three liters a day like this and you will have burned about 100 calories, leaving you about a pound lighter at the end of a month

bullshit.

when you get cold your blood vessels contract to reduce surface area and maintain heat.

when you get warm your blood vessels dilate to increase exposed surface area and lose heat. you also sweat.

if you drink cold water your body wont respond by burning more calories, it will respond with saving more heat. the heat generated will be roughly the same.

if you get cold and SHIVER, though, well thats something else.

wow people think being cold helps you lose weight?

lemme ask you this, were Eskimos known for being thin?
>> Anonymous
>>120655
well some of them were known for starving to death.
>> Tacoz
>>120657
you can say that about anything.
here, let me try.

africans live in africa, where its hot as hell every day. no cold water in sight. many of them are known for starving to death.

but i africa its fucking cold at night.
>> Anonymous
to generate body heat, you need energy, aka calories.
If you don't eat, you get cold.
Yes, eskimos freeze if they don't eat.
>> Anonymous
eskimo are fat because they're scarred shitless of freezing, so they got blubber, like whales and shit

so i couldn't figure out why when i was bulking i was so fucking hot all the time, this thread is relevant to my interests. thx /fit

To loose a pound you would need to burn ~3.5k calories.

Theres one problem with this, you can die from too much water especially if its cold.

If you want your body to start generating heat, you need to do something else. Take a small bucket. Get naked quickly splash a very thin layer of water over as much space as you can. Let the water evaporate, this will get your temp down in a matter of a second.

And to loose your ass, you need a 4 inch wide dildo.

The thermal effect of manually processing food has a greater caloric need than warming cold water. Besides, that water does not immediately enter the intestines, so you risk delayed absorption and mild dehydration.
