Wanting to lose bodyfat Anonymous
hey /fit/
i'm not much of a regular here.. or at all really but i've recently come to the conclusion that I'm fat.

I'm an active person, I do a atleast an hour of exercise a day, I do rugby training 3 times a week (2 training sessions; 1 match), although I know I don't eat as well as I could but I have a BMI of 22.5 so I'm fine, right? Wrong. I still have body fat and quite a bit of it.
Mostly my stomach, thighs and manboobs are affected. So I tried doing sit ups and press ups at night (even though I know it's one of the worst times) with little results. What exercise can I do so the extra pounds of fat will go, and at which times are best?

tl;dr I'm fit but still fat, what exercise can I do to get rid of my body fat and when?
Pic unrelated.

it could be your diet, do you watch your calories?

just fix your diet a little. Recommend doing this by drinking less beer or soft drinks, and make an effort to eat wheat breads instead of white breads. This should help a lot over time.

Not really, although I know how healthy what I'm eating is usually so I'll eat it in moderation
On an average weekday I'll have a banana at around 8:30 am then eat something from my college cafeteria at around 12 pm, which isn't so healthy. Then at about 6-7 pmish I'll have a meal with fresh vegetables and meat. On a weekend I'll often have something fried in the morning and maybe a pizza one night.

Any suggestions to what I shouldn't eat out of that, or do you think it's alright as it is?

Do you drink coke regularly? Just stopping that or replacing it with diet coke will make you drop a few.

Try to make your own food more often. Keep eating out limited to twice a week, tops.

Just small easy steps is all it takes to lose weight with barely any effort. Keep exercising as regularly, though.

that diet sounds fine with your level of activity. thats why you probably have not gained any weight. but if you want to lose some weight just start hitting the gym to run/lift on the days that you dont play rugby.

OP heree

I guiltily drink "normal" soft drinks, or sometimes "Z". Lucozade is my drink of choice though. I can drink up to 3 bottles a day if I get thirsty. Can being the keyword, like this would only happen once a month, but I know it's still really bad.
I sometimes don't have my five portions of fruit or vegetables and only have about two or three glasses of water a day.

More detail on the exercise I do:
I bike to and from college; about 3/4 of a mile each way, and now with the summer months coming I think I'm going to start doing tennis bi-weekly, only socially though. The gym I used to get free weekly access to is now closed so I'll need to raise some funds to get a membership somewhere.

Any tips on exercise I could do about the home until then?

Like I said, drop the soft drinks or whatever that Z is, and get the sugar free/diet version of it if you must drink it (I drink a can of diet coke with my dinner every night, have been doing so for several months and am nearing 50 lb loss).

Try to not eat past 7 PM ideally, 9 PM at the latest. And if you do, don't let it be more than 150 or so calories. Just make sure you haven't ate 2.5-3 hours before you sleep.

The best plan of eating is a large breakfast, medium lunch, and small dinner. Should be 600 calories, 500 calories, and then 400 calories. In between meals, eat fruits and/or vegetables.

At the gym, do 30-45 minutes of cardio (treadmill, elliptical, bike), and then head for the weights.

These are all just some general tips. I don't know your body very well, but just tune some tips, like food, to what you need.
