You're certainly not working too hard. That heart rate sounds fine, and as for the calories burned, I think that puts you right around what's considered "vigorous" effort. Mind you, that "vigorous" effort thing is essentially out of my ass...I have a notebook full of lifting/cardio related notes, and I just checked the entry for stationary biking. 450 for 30 minutes at your weight falls under vigorous. I'm sure my numbers aren't complete horse-shit, but meh.
