i gotta say, 95 is laughable. This is the definition of wimp. Have you not done any kinda of lifting in your life?

form first, weight later.

Are these 1RM? I'm 235 and don't really consider myself all that strong in the deadlift, but do 3x8 at 315lbs.

yes

If you do 315x8, that's about 420 1RM. For your weight, that's pretty good, but is just intermediate.

For comparison, I'm 165 lbs and doing slightly less than you. I'm Advanced. So what if it's less weight than yours? I'm still leaner, quicker, and sexier. Go ahead and lift more weight than me, bitch, meanwhile I'm fucking your girlfriend.

It's precisely this type of attitude that keeps un/fit/s from joining the gym, because they're paranoid that every gymfag that been liftin for 5+ years is secretly watching and judging them.

We should be applauding this kid for trying a serious exercise that builds serious strength. We all fucking started somewhere assholes; how much did you squatz, deadlift, and clean your first time in the weight-room? I started off using just an empty squat bar for all of those.

I'd much rather read threads like the OP's over another wanna-be /fit/fag who requests home exercises with only one dumbbell because s/he's too self-conscious to join a gym.

I guess I'm intermediate in everything, with the exception of having never done a deadlift in my life...

this

These are the people doing halfassed 1/4 reps just to get more weight on to feel better.
Starting low and adding weight every week is the way to go.

You're also a faggot. =)

I'll give you leaner, and probably faster in a foot race.

But I'm stronger, bigger, and probably better looking. On all the other lifts I'm Advanced, bordering on Elite. I bench 155% of my bodyweight (365).

Now this is where you come back and probably say something about being a Mixed Martial Artist and the tough guy talk picks up again.

Op - the guy in the picture has shitty form. if you look like that, you are doing it wrong.

I deadlift around 230-260 depending on days.

It takes a lot of practice to get here - start slow, we all had to.

first, bar shouldn't grind your legs at all. second, arms outside, legs inside shoulder lenght. back has to be straight ALL TIMES. not rounded EVER or you will fuck it up.

when you put the bar down, count to 1 before picking it up again - so you dont bounce it.

at the top, dont lean back, you dont need to do that, more stress on your back.

I just came from b, nice to see some people caring about health.

good luck

Can't do 1/4 reps with a deadlift. It always goes to the waist.

>Now this is where you come back and probably say something about being a Mixed Martial Artist and the tough guy talk picks up again.

Nah, I'm a lover, not a fighter. Women go mad for us sleek studs with v-tapers rather than squarish belligerent oafs... my strength is just icing on the cake. As I stated before, your girlfriend is a really good lay. Keep her warm for me.

worlds strongest women deadlifts 305kgs, if your under that you should die.

95lbs is pretty poor, I can do 12 reps of 125lbs and im 15.

15 year olds suck, and so does deadlifting in the 100s. you should be able to start at 135 no matter what your size and add 10lbs per workout. I did this and didnt plateau until 305. I dead 345 now.

that guy form in the pic doesnt look so bad to me, his lower back is arched the right way, and he has the bar above the knees meaning he should be driving with his hips.

you lower back will be very sore after your first few workouts cause it's rarely used by the average person, but your spine should not hurt.

>>280658

That's the infamous DW. His form is piss poor and you shouldn't look to him for ANY sort of correct technique or form.

If you see him trolling forums, ask him about the time he completely bombed out of a strongman contest. Or humping a 500lb DL for 30min just to get it up.

>>280658

I agree with you.

We deadlift the same too.
>> SQUATS
>i started out deadlifting
>started

Some of you guys are retarded always start at a lower weight even if its easy and build your self up, Why? for form reasons and to reduce the risk of injury.

I'm guessing OP already knows this but add like 15-20lb of weight each time you do it. 5x1 is all thats needed

You guys probably got trolled.
