Dear /fit/

My GF under my encouragement has been trying to seriously diet and excersize for awhile now. Apparently she weighs 200 at this moment.

Anyway, she usually goes to the gym and gets on treadmills, exercise bikes and other stuff, at least twice a week, and plays DDR as a workout routine when she can't be at the gym. She usually eats only salads, water, and lean meats like grilled chicken and doesn't eat more than 1500 calories a day (assuming a BMR of at most 1700), and on days when she is unable to work out she sometimes eats less than even 1000 to 1200 calories to compensate for that and reach a goal of at least 3500 calories saved/burned per week (which is equivalent to 1 lb per week, I believe).

One problem though...I really encourage her to exercise and make a few lifestyle changes now for the sake of her future health, I would hate for her to end up obese or overweight when she reaches her mid-age period, however, I'm one of those guys that prefers a woman with a thick, curvy body like hers, to just straight down skinny girls with no body really, the only thing is she has a bit of a gut that's not completely even with the rest of her body and it's what we're both concerned about. I really am just hoping for the diet and exercises to burn away the stomach mostly, while retaining the rest of her body at least to a certain extent, for a more firm, even stomach and proportioned yet curvy body.

So two questions: First of all, do you think the diet/exercise she does now will help? And second, if it is working will she entirely lose the proportion of her body now, and turn...well...really skinny

It's hard to know how her body will change, since everyone's body is different and women's bodies are especially odd in weight distribution.

I'm sorry OP, but you are fat. The diet and exercising you're doing now will help. You won't turn "really skinny" like anorexic, but you will lose your gigantic pot belly. Good riddance, I say because you look like a whale.

Yep, just as I like, nice and thick, and she gets out of them fine, trust me. The jeans suppose define her hips and all lol.

Yeah I would like to believe she has a naturally thick body and could never become REALLY thin just over night, which is fine, I just hope for the stomach to burn.
