As early as you can, so you can get the metabolism benefits carried through the whole day..

Running is also best to do early in the morning for that same reason.

Yeah, but it can also be argued that that exercising in the evening will make your metabolism quick for the whole night and will make you more sleepy so you can get the right amount of sleep during the night.

I say it doesn't really matter. Just get out there and exercise whenever you can! And good luck of course.
