Hey /fit/, fat fuck here. Pic definitely related

I'm about 6'1" and weigh a little over 270 pounds. As you can see, I'm a horrendously fat, disgusting piece of overweight shit, and I'm looking to change that. I've also been getting very painful backaches around my lower back area, most likely related to my horrifyingly fat-fuckedness, or maybe it's my bed, I don't know.

I'm looking for some tips on how to get rid of weight relatively quickly. I've got the basics down (eat less, move more hurr) but I've got some questions. Doctors say I should aim to lose no more than 2-3 pounds a week. Do I have to follow this? And what about my back-aches? Should I just start exercising immediately and hope it goes away later? I was thinking of going out on a vigorous walk tomorrow morning but I don't want to worsen my back. And what's good for breakfast? The plainest oatmeal possible?

Probably not such a great idea to hit the running paths/weights now, especially given the current state of your back.

Aim to lose weight by creating a calorie deficit and doing some light stretching and moving about in a regular fashion. This will begin you on your way to being physically prepared for the exercise which will bring you to your goals.

Your doctor is probably quite right.

Just don't do anything stupid like eat very little because that will cripple your metabolism, or worse eat a healthy amount of calories composed of shit foods. 1000 calories of chocolate != 1000 calories of lean meats and vegetables.

If you are susceptible to hunger pangs and there is unhealthy food involved just stick it out and drink some water or eat some vegetables.

Thanks, I'll speak with my mom about getting healthy foods. Is it a problem that money is very, very tight right now? I'm almost certain I'm going to have to get a separate set of foods since everyone else in my house has deplorable eating habits. I guess I'll be fine getting some carrots, bananas and I hear almonds are good. Can you guys recommend other healthy foods I should look for?

Those are some good foods already. Think more like that.

It isn't too difficult. Just look at the nutrition label (that's what it's fucking there for) and look for foods high in nutrients, low in calories, fat and sodium.

Eat nothing with added sugar. Sugar is not food, It's poison. You can only have sugar from fruits.

That means no soda, no sugary bakes no candy etc. Anything with high fructose corn syrup is forbidden.

i usually dump a can in a smal cup, nuke it for 30 secs, sprinkle some pepper or hotsauce and enjoy it with a slice of toasted bread. If you're short on time just nuke it and grab a spoon. There's like 3 spoonful in a can. Om nom nom.
