Guys, here's how you lose weight:

1. Find out how many calories you need to maintain your current weight on a daily basis (use some online BMR calculator)
2. Eat less than that. It doesn't matter if you eat just snicker bars or brussel sprouts. Calorie deficit = weight loss
3. Done.

however, 400 calories worth of brussel sprouts is a lot more food and will fill you up much better than 400 calories worth of snickers

Well, if you eat too little your body becomes so starved for energy that it starts to catabolize your muscle tissue. The key is to eat enough so that doesn't happen, but still few enough so that you do burn fat.
