Deadlifts, and good mornings serve the same purpose. I would suggest deadlifts.

That's what I'm talking about. A normal dead lift is like what Yoshi posted. There are tons of different dead lifts. There's also:

Both target the hamstring, but also work the lower back too. And as word of warning, these lifts are NOT to be maxed out on. A decent weight (for me) is half of my squat max. I haven't squated since starting up my program, so I work with 135 lbs.
