What are the advantages of lifting lighter weights? I'm just doing this when I'm browsing the web, use mouse with right hand, lift with left. Switch ever few minutes. Pic related.

You want to do heavy sets as well, but there's nothing wrong with doing heavy load training AND strength endurance training.

I know the joke and everything, but it's actually a valid concern. Women have much smaller bodies on average and it's a lot easier for them to show bulk than it is for men.

Think about it. If you had a 5'3" frame and weighed 110 pounds, would you really want 10 or more pounds of muscle added to that? You wouldn't look very feminine. Women look good in two body types - very lean (runner/dancer build) or slightly soft, but not fat (sometimes called the "girlfriend" physique). Men just look better with muscles because their bodies carry it better.

The same principal applies to those really short guys who end up with that odd looking frat boy body. They achieve that body VERY quickly because their small frame fills out fast with muscle, whereas a 6'2" guy would need a lot more muscle growth to look the same way. On the flip side, taller people can be fatter and still look completely normal, but short people who get fat show it easily. Height is a big factor in the way people look.

Yeah, you have a point to some extent. But you don't put on 10 lbs. of muscle by accident, especially when the deck is stacked against you in the first place. I maintain that it's not possible for a (average) woman to gain an unattractive amount of muscle without working really hard to do so. And furthermore, I get the impression women tend to undershoot significantly when it comes to the amount of weight they *could* use without bulking significantly. I mean 2 lb. weights, seriously? No one should be messing with those unless they're convalescent.

Lift as much as you can and want. You will not gain significant muscle mass without a rich diet made for gaining muscle mass. It won't show, it can't show, it can't appear. It is not a valid concern, you do not have to worry about. You will not. You can not. It will not happen. Look at how hard guys work to gain muscle mass. It's even harder for girls.

Worry about ending up as a fat fuck or a zero muscle, pudgy little fat-and-bones 110 pound bitch.
