I used to have a similar problem.
first I would say exercise, if you're already doing that then I'm guessing you're not varying your chest exercises very much.
I went from 3 sets of Benching body weight (165 lbs) , a reps each, to doing multiple angled benches, pushups, and whatever nautalus machines I could find that worked the chest. I also do 200+ pushups throughout the day. Switched up from mass gain to toning because I didn't really want to get big, but I'm probably in the minority.
