Hernia Anonymous
Hey fit, got my 1st hernia at some point apparently during training, it isn't painful and it doesn't go in and out but it is a clear bulge between the abdomen and the thigh and has a pulse. Anyway, i go in for a consult on the 2nd, just wondering if anyone has any experience with hernias (inguinal to be specific) and wondering how long the recovery period was for them and if they noticed any weakness afterwards...

I'll be gettin the Laparoscopic Herniorrhaphy, so hoping for as little downtime as possible.

you're an idiot, i didn't get it while squatting, just so many fools on here being fervent proponents of squats and deadlifts leads me to believe that there will be hernia development in many, its not even remotely uncommon or due to poor form.

You still got it, faggot, and nobody seems to care so it seems pretty rare among /fit/

because none of you actually workout. let me know when you can do at least 5 one-arm-pullups in each arm or maybe a planche pushup or two and then you might be somewhere near the same level.

People rarely visit /fit/. the people who visit /fit/ rarely work out. and the people who work out rarely get hernias. So you're really asking the wrong people, go find a medical forum somewhere.

only way you're doing 5 one arm pullups is:
a) you weigh 100 pounds
b) you're doing 1 hand pullups
