it takes a balance between a new diet
and a good workout routine
>> Anonymous
>>22653
I'd say my diet is pretty good already (good balance, very little fat, no fast food ever, no soda ever, good protein, etc).
>> Anonymous
>>22654
then it might just be your workout routine
you do need to give your body time to start to change from the workout
there probably wont be visible results for 3 months or so (which is how long your average workout should last, after that you need to change up the exercises to create muscle confusion and gain more muscle)
idk what you look like or anything like that so ill just toss out basic tips for lifting

tips:
1) 8-15 reps for muscle endurance
2) 2-6 reps for muscle strength
3) workouts should be preceded or ended with some form of low intensity cardio, idc what some people say i do believe there is a sweet spot for burning fat around 140 bpm
4) rest just enough to make sure you can redo what you did in the last set
for me i only rest 50 seconds for everything except for any type of squats and deadlift
for those lifts i rest 2 minutes
5)DO NOT stretch before lifting, studies have proven it will increase your chance for injury and will affect your lifting in a negative way (lift less weight etc)
6)id rather see someone doing 110lbs with perfect form than 300 with the shitty form ever
one persons a laughable ass and the other is a respectable lifter
greater form allows for a greater gain/release of testosterone

well i could spend hours typing stuff up but that should cover it if you have any specific questions go ahead and ask ill be happy to answer

every single guy in /fit/ is 6 feet tall or over, 10% body fat or under, and does an amount of push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups that can rival that of an olympic athlete. they also run their mile runs in the lower 5 minute area. i'm sure their cocks are the size of cucumbers too.

yeah, ok.

TRYING to make them hurt as much as possible
Unsure of body fat (under 10%)

1 min pushups: 45+. I don't typically do fast, "omg how many can I do?!" pushups, though. I prefer taking my time with them, and trying my best to make each one hurt. Doing one per second (or, as that one guy did, almost 2 every second) just seems fucking stupid to me.

1 min situps: I don't do situps. Crunches all the way baby.

1 min mile: Shit, I haven't timed a mile in like 4 years. I'm a fast lil' guy, but I can't keep up a great pace over a full mile...fucking asthma.

Pull Ups: Shit, maybe 15?

Bench: Only have a bench press machine at home, and that shit doesn't count.

Squats: Not sure.

Vertical: 2 years ago it was 30+ inches. Now it's probably closer to 25 or 26 inches...my legs are stronger now, but I don't play basketball anymore, and thus have no real need to practice my vert.

Flexibility: CAN touch toes (an achievement, considering my arms are super duper short.)
