Hello /fit/.

For about a week now I have been working out at a gym. I have gone seven out of the last nine days and I am usually there for an hour to an hour and a half each session. 80% of my workout is cardio which i switch up between the elliptical trainer, treadmill, stationary bikes and rowing machines.

Now here's the problem.

For the last 4 days I have had a great pain and stiffness in my big toe on my left foot. When I am sitting or just standing it is fine but when I try to do some sort of physical exercise it really hurts. I don't know how to describe it but when I try and move the toe I get the feeling of cartilage rubbing together.

Do any of you know what this may be?

Thank you.
