what's this muscle called, right under the hipbone?
>> Anonymous
Do you mean proper flu or a cold that some people for some bizarre reason think is the flu?
If I have a cold then I suck it up and keep my try to stay warm.
If I have the flu I lay in bed for a week, hurting every time I move. I also take as much symptom relievers and pain killers as possible.

Neither vitamin C or antibiotics will work. Vitamin C help prevent colds and flu but has no effect when the illness has taken hold.
Both the cold and flu are caused by viruses so antibiotics will have no effect on the illness and is a large reason that MRSAs' exist.

There's only fascia and fatty tissue in that area.

Gluteus medius is located on the "back" side, and illiacus is located just inside the hip bone, but other than that nothing.

Whenever I have the flu I take a gravol, layer up the blankets and try and sweat it out. If you have access to a sauna, that always make me feel good. Nice light food like unsalted crackers, or hearty chicken noodle soup if you're up for it. Just lots of rest.
