Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
God I fucking love rowing /fit/.

Anyone else like to row?

fishermens, probably.

Good cardio and doesn't do damage to joints. Rowing is nice.

Ergfag here. Usually row at a 2:00-2:05 split, but recently I've been running 2 miles and then a quick 8 minute 2K afterwards for cardio.

I usually do 5 minutes of rowing before lifting to get warmed up.

anymore pictures like this for common exercises with free weights, barbells? Primary, secondary...although a little more gradiant shading would be nice

What does a 'split' mean?
I have to row on a machine like in OP's picture, and it usually says 2:00 to 2:05 min/500m, so I'm guessing it has something to do with the pace.

I've been rowing for a few weeks since I can't run right now, but they have these hard plastic seats on the machines, and my ass gets fucking sore as hell, and my leg will fall asleep if I go longer than about 30 minutes.

Man, I love to row. but how much time should a person spend on a typical session? I spend about 40 minutes doing it every other day.

Leg work is better cardio but I do like to row.

Split is exactly that, time taken to travel 500m.
~2:00 split is good for continuous CV.
Doing 2000m in under 7 minutes (1:45 split) is good.

Doing 2000m in under 7 minutes is quite dificult, unless you are in very good shape, and even then its tough unless you are very tall.

I do 4000m in 15 minutes, callusses my hands like a motherfucker though

If you train a little bit for it you should really be able to get under 7:20. Under 7 is tougher for shorter/lighter people but still possible.

For women it is completely different.

Roll, roll, roll a joint,
Twist it in the end.
Light it up and take a puff,
and pass it to your friends.
