Ok /fit/ I have a serious question, I am currently 195 down from 260 (5'11") but I just cannot make any more progress. I eat well every day (usually 4 small meals with small snacks of fruit or something similar throughout the day) and I work out, mostly weights.

For example today (one of my light days since I did quite a bit yesterday) I've done
250 sit-ups
20 squats with 70 pounds on the bar
3 sets of 5 reps benching 110 on the bar
and roughly 45 curls of 30 pounds.

I'm planning on doing another 50 sit ups and a few more squats before I go to bed, but is it normal for progress to absolutely stop? I'm started to get very discouraged and a little depressed because I'm really tired of being fat and no matter what I do I just can't lose this last 30-40 pounds.

Or it could be completely opposite-- maybe you're not eating ENOUGH.

Up your calories slowly to maintenance level, about 100 per week. Keep at your maintenance level for 2 weeks then drop calories if you think you need to, but you probably want to re-evaluate your intake due to the amount of activity you're doing.

Also, your workout regimen sucks. Re-evaluate it and change. Don't let your body adapt. Adaptation means slow or null gains.

(In no particular order, it was more spread out than I'm describing)

2 bananas
2 pieces of backed skinless chicken
A small salad with a little bit of light Italian dressing
A sandwich with a few ounces of ham on whole wheat bread
2 pieces of bread with a bit of peanut butter (I'd say a sandwich but they were at different times of the day)
Steamed broccoli, a couple ounces of

I know it isn't great but it's all I can do with what I have (I'm getting a treadmill in a couple of weeks)

I just recently started the squats and I forgot to mention I did a couple reps of deadlifting in there as well that I also only started recently when I noticed my loss hitting the wall.

It seems like I'm eating over that to me.
I'd probably add another 400 calories on top of what I said in>>182955thanks to iced tea, it's bad for me but I'm still trying to get the discipline thing down right.

I only had 2 and a half glasses throughout the day the rest has been water, but those couple of glasses are a few hundred calories I don't need.

Make it with Splenda or drink it unsweetened. You'll get used to it eventually.

Although I should listen to you I forgot to add, I think once I finish the gallon I have right now I'll try to stick to only water.

You aren't eating too much I wouldn't think, after losing 70ish pounds if your to be believed that is, your body will put up a bit of a fight to losing more weight keep up with it and eventually your metabolism will kick back in.

If it doesn't then try to get your ass to a dietitian or an actual gym and get your shit together.
