Sup /fit/,
First let me start you off with my spec's. I am 6'1, and weigh about 265. I am white, and have included a picture of myself.
I want to lose as much weight as I can as fast as possible. I am very tired of being a fatass. I will do anything as long as it does not include taking drugs. Or doing anything severly unhealthy. Please help me /fit/!

Also seeing as this is still 4chan.
TL;DR: What do I do to not be a fatass quickly?
NB4 barrel roll, an hero, ect.
Also picture was shopped to remove things that would ID me IRL.

Start running
Just around the block at first
if your self concious run inside or bike or something.
Eventually work your way up to 5 miles +
run 3+ times a day
I went from not being able to run 3 miles to running 10 miles a day during the summer.

Watch your calorie intake (cutting the soda is most fatties easiest calorie loss) and cycle 20km every day. Thats the simplest way.

There are plenty of workout schemes and diets designed to do this and that. But it basically all boils down to doing lots of cardio and eatin g less.

Also, ewwwwwwwwww Stretch Marks.

bike, swim or run.
Cut out crap food, drink water.
Make a workout plan:

Is there an easy way to figure out what exercises I should do?
>>32015
How many calories should I aim for? And yea, any way to get rid of stretch marks after I am in shape?

Also, I just thought of this: How long will this take?

If you're doing decently, average fat loss should be around 2lbs a week. You can lose more (most people wouldnt advise anything more than 4lbs a week max), but the faster you lose the weight the more likely your stretch marks will be noticable (have to give your skin time to adapt). Also drink lots of water and moisturise the area, should help reduce stretch marks.

Try and keep your intake below 2000 (its not hard) and just make sure you exercise every day (try and do atleast 500 calories worth).

Tan. Stretch marks are only dissuaded by prevention, but they'll go away after while.

Oh and btw, those stretch marks are never going away. You can only reduce their noticable appearance (you'll always be able to see them if you're looking, but eventually they may not be recognisable as stretch marks).

OK, good diet solution is this: Eat like 5 or 6 SMALL meals a day, like a sandwich for lunch, an English muffin and some tea for breakfast, you know. Now, that'll speed up your metabolism progressively.

As for a workout plan, I suggest a lot of cardio exercises too, like jogging, and especially swimming.

Alrighty, max intake 2000 calories, try and get a minimum of 500 calories of exercise in.

Thank you /fit/!
Any other tips or advice will be appreciated, and I will watch for it, and respond.

Low carb. Seriously, it works. Pick up a copy of The Protein Power LifePlan, it's filled with so much excellent information. I think you'll have a much better chance this way rather than cutting calories or exercising, if you're interested in why these aren't particularly effective for weight loss take a look at Good Calories Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. That said I do recommend strength training, but the most effective way by far to correct your weight problem is to improve your insulin sensitivity with a low carb diet.

Low carb diet, huh? Should this be used in conjunction with less than 2000 calories?

Dont hitch your hopes on some bullshit fad of the week diet. Even if it does work, you havent combatted the reason you're fat in the first place and you'll just pile the pounds back on when you stop (and you will, most of these diets have nasty side effects, whether its diarrhea/body odor/flatulence/etc).

Watch your calorie intake and be smart about what you're eating. Buy more veg, brown rice and fruit. Never buy anything containing processed meats and just read the packaging of everything you buy before you buy it. Also I find things that come in their own individual portions already very helpful, I know exactly how many calories are in it, and it stops me from over-eating.

The first thing you should only drink water, nothing else, and find something to replace your snack foods (fruit does most people, but work it out for yourself).

1. go to a bmr calculator and see how many calories you burn in a day
2. note that it does over estimate for overweight people, but get a general idea
3. make yourself a plan and count your calories everyday, eating 500 calories less than what your body burns
4. do cardio, lots of it.

WHY?

>>32038
It depends, but to begin with, no. You would just eat however much you wanted to feel satisfied as long as you keep the carbs low enough. If you find that the weight isn't coming off, then you can cut back on the amount you are eating.

If you get a chance check out this fascinating blog entry by Michael Eades, the main author of The Protein Power LifePlan:

You could not be more right, I have not combated the reason I am fat yet. That is why I am here, trying to get prepared. I appreciate the good advice you gave, but it was so surrounded by an overall feel of pessimism that it was difficult to discern.

Now as for a question, with the cutting of snacks, would it be more productive to either. A) Eat fruit instead of snack food and keep metabolism going. B) Just skip anytime I am hungry that is not a time for a meal.

snack on fruit.
No need to hunger.

>>32041
IMHO it does correct the reason why you are overweight, which is some degree of insulin resistance. And of course if you go back to eating the way you did before you will gain it back. That doesn't mean you need to stay on an extremely low carb diet forever. I eat a moderate amount of carbs but they're primarily from fruit.

Good call with the BMR Calculator. I had never even heard of that.
>>ALL
Thanks /fit/, seriously.
>>32029
wtf..
>> Anonymous
>>32047

Sorry. I meant replace the snacks with fruit, or whatever you enjoy thats healthy.

Also, you shouldnt think of this as "I'm dropping to 170/180 and them Imma bang all the hot chicks" as if you do see it as just 'losing weight' you're most likely going to put it back on when you stop.

You need to think of it more as a lifestyle change in order to get healthy. You'll be able to relax your calorie intake and exercising once you drop to your desired weight, but ideally you will always still be exercising, and you will always be watching what you eat (you'll just be able to treat yourself more).

If you're doing it well, you'll come to enjoy your exercise (it really does make you feel much better about yourself) and wont want to stop.

I plan to join the military. I kept this hidden as it would surely become the topic of this as soon as it was mentioned.

I started off fat like you

I ran to my friends house and back at night, its about a 2 mile jog total.

I did this every night for 3 weeks straight.

I lost 25 pounds and I go to the gym now 5 times week.

The first 20 pounds will melt off if you run.

Just run man, just run.
