Contrary to popular belief, people don't become fatties because of cake and twinkies. Granted they don't help, but I spent my entire childhood as a fatty fatterson, and I never had a sweet-tooth, I just ate a lot of fatty meats and things rich in carbohydrates.

Imagine my schoolmates' collective surprise when one day we served cake at school, and I didn't eat any. I never cared for it.

My point is, there are much better ways to gain weight than eating sweets. You can gain 100 pounds eating chicken and rice every day. It's all in how you eat, and how much. Eating a little debbie cake isn't going to make you balloon up.

weight gainers are just protein shakes with added carbs in them, and yes they work because they don't affect your hunger much but they still give you the extra calories

1) Do you exercise?
2) How much do you typically eat?
3) What are you eating when you do?

Provide this basic information and you can probably get a much better answer.

I was skinny too, I gained 12kg since May 2007, of which are 6 kg muscles, very important is to stay focused and to do exercise to not only gain fat. You have to increase your calorie intake (you have to try for yourself how much is good for you), eat oats for breakfast they are really healthy, eat meat, eggs and milk, dont go to fast food joints all the time but i would say twice per week is okay. Its hard to gain weight for me, but I stayed focused and didnt give up and today i feel much better about myself.
