Hey /fit/, what's the best time of the day to work out? I usually do it around midnight for half an hour/an hour, is it bad?

depends on what time you go to sleep

A lot of places suggest working out in the morning, before you eat breakfast.

Cortisol and testosterone are highest in the early morning, good for weight loss. Testosterone is high and cortisol is low in the evening, good for muscle gain. I do the best workout in the morning about an hour after I've had some fruit and whey.

Experience tells me I have the most strength in the evening. So for me, it's evenings. somewhere between 18 and 24 o'clock

lol don't do that.

If you're exerting force and trying to build muscle, you need fuel. You have to have food (energy) in your body or you will not be able to move the kind of weight needed to tear muscle tissue and therefore gain muscle strength and size.

If you're going to do cardio it's one thing. Take a sports drink or two with you and go run. but DO NOT, under ANY circumstance hit the gym with intentions of lifting weight unless you have had something to eat. It's simply not effective. You'd be better off sitting on your ass at home.
