Go to 7chan's /fit/ and look at their stickies. Your question is so broad, I don't feel like typing all that much.

Ok, I checked it out some. I have some questions about weight though. I gather I should do about 5-7 reps a set for like 5 sets. Do I just load on the weight till it's at the point where I really feel it after 7 reps.
Or do I do what some other poeople have said, 1.5x/2x body weight?

If you're using a machine like a bowflex, keep tacking on weight until you can only do 5-7 reps before your muscles physically give out. I mean, literally, you should be shaking and going red in the face and pushing with all your strength on the last rep.

Bowflex isn't very good, can you get to a gym?

Yeah, but I have to drive and pay for it. Bowflex belongs to my roommate.

I'll look into it if you think I really should.

The bowflex will work, you just won't work any of the stabilizer muscles when you do your exercises. You'll just end up having to do more exercises to target specific muscle groups. It will probably take more time to get an adequate work-out, but you can weigh that against the inconvenience of having to drive somewhere.

Bowflex works, to an extent, but is nowhere as effective as the tried and true compound lifts. You might see results, but don't expect the kind of transformation free weights will give you.

Ok then, now moving on to what exactly I should be doing what are some upper body 'positions' I should do, prefrebly in the order I should be doing em. You can keep it short, I know you guys don't like to type alot and explain these things over and over. Just name it and I'll goggle it, design me a workout.
It came with a book on the subject but I need something that explains it for a proud member of generation A.D.D such as myself.
