i noticed that in doing my workout every other day i was alternatively tired (i work out in the morning) or sore, so i switched to doing it every third day and increasing the number of sets by 50%?
stupid idea or good?

Good since you're giving yourself more time to recover, although you might want to review the amount of sleep you've been getting, 'cause if you get less than 8 hours every day, your body recovers a lot slower than it could.

I work out everyday on individual body parts and take only 1 rest day

Im a little over weight, if I did what you do(workout everyday) how long would you say it would take to get into resonable shape. 6'5 280 pounds.

if you're dedicated I'd say 8-12 weeks, meaning watching what you eat. Most importantly skipping any dessert type food

You are exactly my size.

And you are overweight. No offense.

Go ahead and lift every third day, but take the advice about the sleep.

But you need to do cardio every day if you can. I've been doing it about a month and I'm feeling a ton better.
