How does an EXTREME ectomorph(22 years old 6'4 130lbs) gain weight? I was on a 4000 calorie diet + weight training for a year or so and was able to gain 10 lbs, but one day I got sick(not even a bad illness, just a common cold) and I lost all 10 lbs in a manner of 2 days. I need to know a way to gain weight that wont be so easy to loose. I nearly killed myself after an entire years work was lost in two days.

4000 calories a day is an awful lot. Are you counting right? Be sure it's spread over 5-6 meals a day. Get plenty of fat, too. It's important. But not too much saturated fat and little to no trans fats. No refined sugar, no matter what. And throw out that weight gainer shit. Nothing but calories without any vitamins or minerals mixed in. Limit yourself to just 1 cardio session a week, just for maintainence.

I'm 6'0, 143 pounds. I eat lots of eggs in the morning, 3 PBJ sandwiches for lunch, and fried chicken every night for dinner. Also I go to a chinese buffet for lunch like 3 times a week. I also eat veggies for the fiber so I don't have a fucking heart attack. I've been following a bodybuilding routine to pack on some muscle also. It's been 5 months and I've gained 15 pounds. Try my diet.

That sounds fucking ridiculous. I'm 6'0 145 up from 130 and it took me 2 months just eating healthy and using a more strength oriented routine. The only things I can agree with you are the eggs and the veggies/fibre. Just because you're trying to bulk doesn't mean you have to eat like shit.

I'm probably a more serious ectomorph than you. This is the most efficient and cost effective way to get my calories. If I remove myself from this finely tuned diet, I start losing weight. I'm gonna be huge by Christmas time.
