I'd like to start getting into Free Running/Parkour.
Now, I know I'm capable, and I'm pretty fit (I'm 6'2" and around 130Lbs, and it's like all muscle).
Also, I have decent stamina, am pretty fast, very flexible, can run and jump off walls, and have pracitced martial arts for a while (Tae Kwon Do when I was younger, and picked up Bujinkan three months ago).
My big issue is running. I can get going, but I'm better with short bursts.

if tl/dr

What I basically came here for is, to learn the art of running. What is proper technique? What's a good way to train, and increase speed and stamina?

run and jump off shit.. and catch yourself and hold on.

From what I can tell, parkour is more just utilizing all your body to push off of things, rather than... running.

This may sound like an off topic question OP, but how did you get yourself into bujinkan? I've been meaning to try it out for a while myself.

Just found a dojo in town. To attract customers, they're usually just called "Ninja" or "Ninjutsu" dojos.

You can search the site for them.

running is a natural form of transportation. put on running shoes and just go. once you have good form down, (it will come quick) do some hill sprints to build speed and HIIT while running to build stamina

Look up parkour groups in your area, if there are any. If not, find the one nearest you and talk to those people via website, or visit a function. They will be much more helpful.
Parkour is much more than just "Go do it."
