Also, what's your current diet like?
Try eliminating: potatoes sugary foods processed foods potatoes soft drinks/sugary drinks (includes juice) alcohol "white" grains (eat whole grains only - no, not "multi grain", as that doesn't mean it's WHOLE grain)
eat more: protein (MEAT(aim for lean meats like chicken/tuna, and for beef cut off all the excess fat), nuts(although nuts are high in fat, but good fats, but still, don't overendulge in them.), some vegetables (yellow split peas, lentils, etc) whole grains fibre
