Gas Bill. ;D Anonymous
Dear /fit/ hear my plight!

You see, I'm a relatively short guy. I'm also physically inactive, but I'm really skinny and never had a big problem with weight at all...

But you see, I have this huge fuckin' belly that I hide like some monster. I'm always sucking in my stomache, and I think no one notices, because I'm really skinny everywhere else. skinny in the hips, legs, arms, etc, but this huge gut.

So, my question is, do I need diet or exercise to get rid of it? Or both? I can diet however I need to but for a reason that you wouldn't understand I don't have access to weights or a gym. thanks you so much in advance!

Cut out soda, candy, high fructose corn syrup, fried food, drinks with lots of calories.

Focus on lean meats, whole grains, fruits, veggies, and water, lots of water. What I do for stomach is just put on music for about 10 to 15 minutes and crunch away.

This is the best advice you will get. Thread over.
>> annoying gut ~
I'm kind of the same way, but it's not huge. It's noticeable to me though and it bugs me a lot. I think part of it is just the way I'm built and nothing will help it, but some of it is due to water weight and/or gas, which can be reduced but will always be present to some extent. High sodium intake will increase water retention, and I don't know much about the gas issue. I think if you consume more fiber than you're accustomed to, it can cause excess gas (but I can't 100% confirm that). I'm sure there are plenty of contributing factors.

I almost always wake up with an incredibly flat gut area and it just gets bigger to some extent throughout the day. If I'm at a party or occupied late into the night or through to early morning, it often goes back down again to skinny-state, probably because I'm hardly eating anything for those several hours. Lastly, I eat here and there little bits at a time throughout the day usually, if I have a choice. That may have an effect one way or another, I don't know.
