yes, forget diet soda. Water, tea and milk. Don't munch carbs before going to bed. Noodles for supper is a bad idea. Special k is very energetic, if you eat lots of it, you gonna get heavy.
Watch your calories overall. A working man needs around 2500, 3000 if you are heavy worker. Try to keep your intake below that and you should lose weight. Also cardio and weights.
