# of laps is a useless measurement. all pools are different sizes and if you ask an actual swimmerfag theyll tell you their yardage, not their number of laps.

if youre measuring your swimming based on laps you probably wont understand a lot of the drills in the workouts. the common ones are explained here: http://www.mvm.org/workouts-drills.php
some things you might need to know about the first workout: pull = no kicking hypoxic = just the name of what follows 1/3 = one breath every three strokes, etc 1 length typically equals 25 meters or yards
also, start measuring your workouts in yards or meters (whatever your pool happens to be. ask the lifeguard or another swimmer)
