I've heard of some trainers who will simply not take you on if they suspect steroid use due to possible risk and liabilities of injury due to a specialized program. supplements are generally good, but only if you're looking up studies and buying shit that matters.
protein, creatine, arginine AKG, and there are some supplements that do seem to work (I've heard lots of success stories from people using products such as 6-OXO).
