Acnefag here. Someone posted the other night that through some sort of voodoo shenanigans, plain toothpaste is supposed to kill zits. I'm trying it tonight, posting results tomorrow.

before/after shots too please?

I thought it was crushed-aspirin-paste that's supposed to work

BPO works and is cheap.
Try that instead.

DEADLIFTING CURES EVERYTHING

It's crushed, PLAIN, UN-COATED aspirin

-Make sure face is clean (washed but not overly dry)

-Crush about 3 plain, un-coated aspirin tablets (use a couple drops of water if necessary.

-Mix with a couple tablespoons of plain honey.

-Apply to face in a circular motion and leave on for about 10 min.

-Wash off face and apply a NON-ALCOHOL toner with a cotton ball.

-Apply some light, oil free moisturizer.

This isn't going to solve ACNE per se, rather it's used as an exfoliate, since aspirin itself with actually eat away at the skin and the coarse paste will be gentle, yet abrasive enough to double the exfoliating effect.

I'M PRETTY THAT A BALANCED WORKOUT (OKAY MAYBE THE FEW SYNGERISTIC ONES) IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO.

Also, acnefags?
WORK THE FUCK OUT
People will be too busy being jealous to care about the muscle.

umm go get some anti-biotics....also Benzoyl peroxide until you peel and keep peeling until acne is gone then lessen benzoyl peroxide eventually to the point where you wash with it ever couple of days only...presto no acne but here is the key you need to PEEL....it needs to be uncomfortably dry for a few days.....

Toothpaste "works" because of the peppermint oil extract used to flavor it. The extract dries out the pimple.

Crushed aspirin paste works because it's pretty much just salicylic acid, which penetrates the pores and kills bacteria that causes acne.

This person used too much benzoyl peroxide and it severely damaged the first layer of the epidermis, which is why it scabbed over and peeled off. Different from dry skin. You can do it, but it takes the skin underneath the scab 3-4 days to heel and looks really nasty.

My regiment:

Before bed:Wash face with hot water and plain Neutrogena acne wash. Goes for a couple bucks per bottle. Then I use one of Neutrogena's "Maximum Strength" salicylic acid cleansing pads (the ones that say they supposedly clear breakouts in 8 hours). Then I apply a very thin layer of a Benzoyl Peroxide cream (personally use Zapzyt-- a couple bucks per tube).

When I wake up:
Wash face with an exfoliating scrub (again, I typically stick to Neutrogena brands-- The green one with the soothing ingredients is nice). Go over entire face with a cotton pad soaked with some sort of toner (I prefer Dickinson's Witch Hazel). Then apply a moisturizer (Nivea for Men makes a good one that they classify as being for extra sensitive skin).

If you notice any small spots on your face getting particularly sensitive or itchy, rub on a little bit of hydrocortisone cream.

Some may say that's a little too much or call it obsessive, but it works well for me. After a couple weeks or less you should notice your complexion clearing up nicely.

Oh, also, get some god damned sun. I know that's hard for people like us who sit in front of the computer 90% of our waking hours, but do try to get some exposure regularly.

The suns rays are said to kill a lot of acne-causing bacteria in your skin. Some dermatologists will actually recommend regular (though somewhat short) sessions in a tanning bed if you can't just go sit outside for a half hour.

Truth. Tanning helps immensely. Suck it up and do 15 minutes in the lowest level bed once a week or so, you'll feel better. And it's the best nap I've ever had.

Also, females with acne: get on Yaz or Yasmin NAO. =D

>>Truth. Tanning helps immensely.

Yes, but I didn't want to call it "tanning." I know how many palefags we have on 4chan, and tanning threads usually end up as shitstorms.

>>Also, females with acne: get on Yaz or Yasmin NAO. =D

Is it can be bareback tiem nao?

"Tanning" is bullshit.

It simply covers up the acne and can lead to skin irritation.

The whole website is shit, they use the worst references to back up their half-baked claims.

You're bullshit. It's helped me out and it's helped out others I know as well.

Umm...you do realize "tanning" causes hyperpigmentation, right? Those nasty brown spots in the place of healed pimples that are so goddamned hard to get rid of. Getting a few minutes of sun every day and tanning are two different things.

Also, Neutrogena makes a decent bpo cream in a little tube, it's 10% concentration I think, works pretty well as a spot treatment but is not a cure all for acne.

Be careful with the aspirin mask, some people have had aspirin poisoning because it travels through your pores into the bloodstream. Use a real chemical or gentle physical exfoliant if you don't want to end up with surprise visits to the hospital. Or use the paste as spot treatment.

Apply Phillips'laxative on your face if you suffer from oily skin as well. The milk of magnesia keeps oil in check and has done wonders for my skin. I've suffered from mild to moderate acne for several years now, and this cleared up my skin phenominally.

After you have washed your face and let it dry, apply a thin coat with a cotton ball. Just be careful to not put too much on since it dries slightly white.

Sounds weird, but it does work.

If suntanning is an option, is it better to use real sun?
>> Anonymous
>>295465

Natural sun is better, just don't overdo it. 5-20 minutes a day depending on your skin type.

The 7am sun comes right onto my porch, so I've been opening the front door and standing there in my boxers for ten or so minutes when I get up in the morning. I hope I'm getting all of my sides equally. My neck is so tan/burned/freckly, but my body is still pure white...

this. asprin is a cheap way to apply salycic acid to the skin which destroys the bacteria that causes acne in the first place. alternatively see a dermatologist and get prescribed some kind of retinoid cream. ideally you should have both salycic acid and a retinoid cream

i started using organic soap made from the fat of grassfed cows and i have had no acne problems. of course that stuff is like 8 bucks a bar
