Basically I go to a faggy health club that only has 1 squat rack and there is always using it for something other than squats... I have a limited workout window so I can't wait all morning for the squat rack to open up. What are some good alternatives to squats and deadlifts that don't require a rack or barbells?

hold the weight at the right height? guess what, you're doing it wrong.

if you're using a weight that's so heavy you need the rack to support it or you'll collapse under it's weight, it's too heavy. you'd be better off doing it with just the bar itself.

Single Leg squats are good, fucking destroys your legs if used after a hard leg day. Hack squats would be a good alternative or fucking sumo squats. Really depends what your main goal is tho.
