Hey /fit/,

I have a knee problem. I was a fitness-illiterate basement dwelling faggot for a long time, and I picked up a habit I never realized was detrimental. When I fapped while lying down I'd grind my legs down against the bed/couch/what have you. The result is that now, as I attempt to fit myself up, my knees are fucked. I can make it through a session of running or squatting without huge detriment, but if I settle into a routine that involve either of these, the condition worsens over about 10 days until squats and running are rather uncomfortable. I haven't seen how far I can push my knees just yet, but I imagine that'd be counterproductive.

It took me way longer than it should have to figure out why my knees ached -- I only quit this fap-bending habit about 3 weeks ago. Day-to-day soreness is gone, but I can't run or do SQUATZ because my knees get very sore, very quickly. When I squat, my left knee makes this strange popping noise every time I ascend. It doesn't hurt every time, but if I keep at it a soreness develops.

I'm pretty confident about the cause, but I'm not so sure about a diagnosis. But if all a doc's gonna do is sent my to physical therapy I'd rather skip the trip and awkward explanation. Does anyone know enough about knees to diagnose me? And if so, how do I fix them?

tl;dr what exercises do I do to correct injuries caused by knee hyperextension?

Kind of hard to explain. Basically, hyperextend the knee by forcing the upper part of the leg down while leaving the lower part limp.

stretches in water and swimming, but if you feel like you're straining your knee, stop immediately.
