So I've been trying to get in shape. I'm just over 6' and three, nearly 4 weeks ago I weighed in at 252 pounds. Today I'm down to 238. All I've been doing is eating less, not eating out at *all*, and following a work out tape once every night before I go to bed. But in the last week or so, I've lost exactly nothing.

Are there any suggestions that can get me back on track? Should I do my workout at a different time of day? When is best?

Lastly, is there a better light cardio work-out I can be doing? (Slim in 6's easiest program is my current.) Unfortunately I live in a place that it's too hot to work out outside from now till August or so, so that is out of the question. In less than a month it will be more than 120 degree's outside. I could cry.

Light cardio?

Bump it up to moderate-intense for 40 mins a day, you will actually burn fat from it that way. Light cardio is useless, and i suggest you aim towards the sun and throw that tape as far as you can at it.

Tell us your diet including food types/groups you eat on a daily basis.

Alright, I generally eat an orange with a bottle of water for breakfast. Either a sandwich (potato bread, not much cheese, no mayo, lettuce, onion, and sometimes meat) or whatever someone else happens to cook for lunch. I eat lunch around the time most of the people I live with eat dinner, so thats usually a small meal and a salad. For dinner, I usually have a piece of fruit or two, or if I didn't eat a decent lunch earlier in the day I'll do that then. And usually another bottle of water with a workout before I go to sleep. Oh yeah, and very rarely I eat cereal for breakfast, but I'm cutting myself off of that.

What I meant by light cardio is... well all I can do. I've been stagnant for a couple years, so the light cardio of this video was way too much for me for about a week. Now it isn't as much as I would like... more muscle work than cardio since I caught up.

Any recommendations for a new work out?

Oh, and I've stopped drinking anything but water for the record. The moment I saw how much sugar is in everything I was sooo surprised.

Bring a lot of water and tough it like a man.

People have died doing this here. No thanks. I don't have to wonder to myself why we simply don't have homeless people. Last summer we got up to 136 one day. Point is... Any work out I can do will be at home, with the AC up to max so I can bring it down to a less deadly 90ish.
