If you get 3 breaks during a work day, eat a small meal during each break; eat breakfast; eat at the end of your work day; eat partway through the evening. That's six meals.
Personally I do 5 meals on a typically workday. Breakfast (eggs+sausages or oatmeal or cereal or something), Coffee break (sandwich + apple or orange), Lunch (sandwich + apple or orange + protein bar), Coffee break (sandwich + apple or orange), Supper (whatever). The end of my workday can vary quite a bit so I can't really have a routine that would allow splitting supper into 2 smaller meals.
My routine falls to shit when I am not working/in school. On a weekend I typically drink juice and snack on stuff until 2pm, then make lunch, then drink juice and snack on stuff until about 8pm supper. I drink quite a lot of juice, usually 1 liter on weekdays and 2-3 on weekends. I suspect all the extra calories are what keep my weight stable. At most I've lost a couple pounds of fat and gained a few of muscle over the last 6 years.
