what do you think?
on jan 2, i quit smoking cigarettes and started working out 5 days a week. i'm taking cytogainer, and i'm eating everything in sight. I started at 166 lb. and as of this picture, i was at about 188.

OP here
Monday - chest, flat press, incline press, flys, etc
Tuesday - back, pullups, lat pulls, bent over rows, bent arm pull overs, shrugs
wed - legs, squats, extensions, curls, straight leg dead lift, calves
thurs - shoulders, laterals, military press, bent over laterals, standing rows
fri- arms, curls, extensions

that'll be $265.. :)

That's a reasonable bit of volume for a newbie, I'd feel iffy about that.
Bent over laterals should go on back day btw
you've got a few exercises hitting it from the same angle...

I'd go:

Monday:
Bench press, military press and flyes. (To bring the chest up a bit)

Tuesday: Chinups(whatever grip, swap every so often), dumbell rows and shrugs.

Wednesday: Squats, lunges, calf raises, biceps curls, triceps extensions (I'd say lying down), forearm curls (palms down and palms up) and grip work.

Friday: Deadlifts
Biceps curls, triceps extension (different to the ones you did on wednesday) and snatches.

The reason we're loading wednesday and friday with the pussy exercises (curls and extensions) is because they're much not used on wed\friday and because you'll need something a bit easy and fun after squats\lunges\deadlifts.
Direct AB training is silly, your snatches, squats and deadlifts will give you more ab muscle than a jillion crunches.

im saying the increase in strength you have felt is from the brain to muscle connetions getting thicker and faster. other than that you haven't gained ALOT of muscle but some, also i can see fat lol.... thicker neck and face is wider so unless your working your neck out, which most people don't cut back on your eating

also you only need to work out 3 days a week dude, and you don't eat everything in sight you eat 6 meals a day and you eat calories needed for your weight class. working out 5 days a week is overtraining. monday - legs/calves/abs wednesday- chest/arms friday back/abs/calves rest is rest days to recover you can only gain 1 lb a muscle a week maybe 2 healthy anymore than that is just fat dude and by the pic all I see is fat.

I feel sorry for you tall dudes. If I put on 20 more pounds (which I'm trying to do) I'd look like a monster. You can definitely tell you're getting bigger though, and you have different posture, the typical shoulders getting pulled back and chest sticking out more.

man tall dudes have no problem this guy just a bad example it takes 3-4 months to gain that much weight and be muscle he overate and all tha tshit turned to fat. don't use him to represent tall ppl cause I went from 140-152 and still going and I look way buffer than this dude and he 188. i'm 6'0

during a bulk you can only gain 1-2lbs per week of muscle anything else is fat when you bulk you wanna hit that goal of 1-2 pounds a week this dude gained 20+ pounds in 5 weeks which means he gained mor efat than muscle if he gained 20 more pounds in 5 weeks and cut he would fucking nasty looking.

you're doing fine op. keep it up. not too hot on your program but whatever. what i will say is do something about that internal rotation of your arms; seriously, shit it wack. you need to target your external rotators for a while; google it. injury and fail await you otherwise.
