Do you:

1. Eat breakfast, go for a walk/jog/run?
2. Go for a walk/jog/run, eat breakfast?

I've heard that exercising first thing in the morning gets your metabolism going and will help you burn off calories easier through the day.

What is /fit/'s opinion?

..It's 9:30 at night! And the hockey game is one! I guess I sort of did start already though. I had a roast beef sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, light mayo and mustard for dinner tonight, instead of whatever fast food/delivery/microwaved food I would normally have.

Either eat breakfast, wait around a hour then go run or eat a banana or something small, then go run. Running on an empty stomach sucks.

If you're out of shape and just starting running, I would certainly eat breakfast first then wait 45 mins or so then go walk then eat something very light when you get back.

And I'm serious when I say I'm starting tomorrow. I used to be 180 pounds, I'm just under 280. My body just can't handle this much fat. I can barely breathe, I'm sweaty, I can't find clothes that fit, I have really bad indigestion, I get winded easy. I'm sick of it, and I'm going to fucking do something about it.

Hey! It's a start! I could have very well slathered it in chipotle or ranch.

Roast beef isn't bad. I got all the veggies except for green peppers and onions because they don't agree with me. And I forgot to mention I got hot peppers too. I did get it on whole wheat, although I'm suspicious of what they call whole wheat. I'm sure it's full of refined white flour.

I go running out in the woods at midnight or 1am all the time, especially if it's raining outside. I usually wear a backpack full of rocks and carry a rifle.

The weight helps train for the hiking I do, and the rifle is so nothing out in the woods at night tries to fuck with me.

Anyway, answer the god damn question you fat fucks. Breakfast first, or exercise first?

Either. Whatever you're most comfortable with.

Personally, I run before dinner. So that way I've eaten food within the last few hours (lunch & snacking) and then I can eat after I run. Of course when it gets hot, I have to wait until near dusk to run to let it cool off, so that kind of throws my dinner schedule off. While empty stomach running is not pleasant, I would prefer it to running when full. The only time I ever became ill while running is when I ate breakfast right before running (when I used to run in the mornings). It was horrible, I threw up in my mouth but had to hold it for a few minutes until I was alone b/c I didn't want all my neighbors seeing me vomiting in their yards. If you are committed to go in the morning, I would do as suggested and eat something small (maybe a poptart, granola bar, banana, etc) and eat the main meal after going out.

There was nothing in the fridge. So I got a sub, then I went out and bought a bunch of groceries, with the least amount of processed garbage and unhealthy food as possible. I think the unhealthiest thing I bought was a small pork tenderloin roast, or maybe the low fat peanut butter.

LOL if you had someone else make it for you, you better check your definition of 'light mayo'
seriously dude grow up or stay fat im not sure how you consider a giant roast beef sandwich that someone prepares for you to be the start of your weightloss plan because you got veggies put on it.

I'm talking light as in reduced fast. Not light as in just a little bit.
It wasn't a giant sandwich, it was a 6" (look down, add another 2" to that nub sticking out of your midsection), and it was covered in veggies. I already said I got lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cucumbers and hot peppers. The only veggies I didn't put on were green peppers and onions because I have trouble digesting them.

And if your only option was eating out, which would you pick? Burger King, Pizza Hut, or Subway? Because that's the only thing around my house.
>> Anonymous
Also, if Subway is the worst thing *I* put in my body today, I'm off to a good start. I usually drink about 20-25 ounces of sambuca every night.
