Doing Pyramid sets Anonymous
Hey /fit/ Today i attempted to do a pyramid for benching. Needless to say i've never done this. I'm just wondering if i did it right, this was my pyramid:
115 lbs x 5 -start
125 lbs x 5
135 lbs x 5
145 lbs x 5
155 lbs x 5
145 lbs x 5
135 lbs x 5
125 lbs x 5
115 lbs x 5- finish

between the sets of 5 i took a minute break or immediately went to do pullups until failure. I'm not sure if i did it right or not so any help is welcomed.

shit.

I was originally asking because i feared it was enough reps. I've seen other guys doing pyramids with more reps per set. But then again i dont think their pyramids were as big. Again, this is the first time i've ever done this so...yeah..

WHAT

Ive heard its best to bench until failure, gradually going up weights then repeating

looks like you are doing too much sets and little less reps to me. I would increase those reps per set and finish it within 5 sets or you can increase the weight, whatever works out for you.
