I doubt studying would burn that many more calories than normal activity. It's not like your brain's inactive most of the time.

Considering how popular Brain Age is, this should be common knowledge, but the brain is inactive for example when watching TV. Obviously not completely inactive, but it goes into a sort of trance where you stop actively thinking. Simply reading should be better.

Also, the awesome thing about the brain burning most calories is to bring it up whenever some fatass claims that they have other qualities to make up for their physical shape.
