sup /fit/,

what do you think of thinning hair?
My hair looks like the guy on the right in the pic (without the weird hairline).

I don't feel too stressed out.
And I did have a TSH check done about 6 months ago (doctor didn't call back so I assume it's fine)

Does anyone have experience with:
-other causes of thinning hair?
-Stress? Identifying and reducing it.
-Hypo/Hyper-Thyroid? Can TSH tests have false negatives? Any definite signs of thyroid issues?

My hair has been like this for almost 2 years. And hair falls out every day....

My hair went grey when I was 16, due to stress apparently. I have fun dying it all different colors.

I'm the same as OP. Except haven't been to the doctor yet.

OP,

Femanon here - it might help you to know that I find balding men extremely attractive. David Cross, John Malkovich, Woody Allen.

And I'm not so bad looking myself. ;)

Hope that helps!

I actually knew a girl who was attracted not to bald guys, but guys with thinning hair.
Remember that faggot mr. 3% body fat, she liked guys with hair like him

i have thinning hair. I wear my hair long right now--but its thin so it looks shitty. I'm considering a short hair cut--maybe a mohawk

It's all about genetics...

no. thinning hair is not about genetics

MPB - male pattern baldness (pic on the left of OP's pic) is though.

my dad is bald, all my uncles are bald. I still have godly thick hair which barbers always comment on. none of my male relatives have this hair type. My fingers are crossed. And I try to take extraordinary care of my hair to prevent balding in the future.

MPB is inherited from your mothers' side.

If your uncles are your mothers brothers, then you have a good chance of going bald soon.

If not, then your hair would be pretty normal.

So, theoretically, even if 3 out of my 4 uncles are balding (only have uncles on mother's side), i could be safe from MPB?

Im really wondering if i have it lately, since im a bit older than my brother was when he started balding and i havent really noticed anything yet (he's 27 now, and im 18). Hair feels as thick as ever. Guess we'll see how it is in a year or two

yes.

You have a 25% or 50% chance of getting it I think.

Stress, poor nutrition.

i had thinning hair, not as bad as op's pic, but you could definitely tell. started using rogain, the kind you put on directly to the scalp, not the shampoo, for about 6 months and it's pretty much all filled in. i get the generic brand, 3 months supply at walmart for $18 and it works fine. if you wait too long though it won't work.

and both op's pics are the same guy.
