All right, I have a question for you who press your own PB. (The brand I buy is Arrowhead Mills, nothing but peanuts!)
I have a juicer that can crush nuts. However, when I do so, I never get the thick oily paste that is peanut butter. Instead I get a kind of dryish, crumbly peanut mass. The health food store I get the Arrowhead Mills has a large press that can grind your own peanut butter right there, and it comes out thick and oily like PB should. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
The peanuts they use are roasted, versus the ones I use which are raw. Any advice on how I'm supposed to produce a superior peanut butter?
