I think it's okay. My work has a thing full off the individual packets for one's water bottle. They're sugar and calorie free, but not a soda, so that's gotta count for something. Also, they haven't affected my weight loss, so I say go for it.

It's just like drinking sugar water, so it's never gonna be as good as just water for you.

Inverted Jogger made a thread a few days ago about non-sugar additives.

Apparently it turns into all sorts of nasty chemicals in your body which molest your organs. D:

Track the history of cancer. When did it first develop, and spread? Which people in the world today never get it in their lifespans? I have answers, but I don't want to create a brouhaha tonight. I'm too tired from my intense workout..

I'll throw you a bone though. protip: Animals in nature don't have cancer. Ever. However our pets and other domesticated animals do.

i wouldnt drink a ton of it, but a bottle every day or two isnt going to kill you

try using half of one of those little packets in a bottle of water, then adding a little lemon to it

Cancer is a problem in domesticated or zoo animals. Wild animals typically die before they have a chance to get cancer.

Cancer wasn't all that prevalent 2000 years ago, mostly because people died before they got to the age where genetic predisposition causes cancer.

Problem is, at least in humans, its happening sooner in life, and on a more frequent basis than ever before.

I wonder what might be causing it?

For non-old people cancer, I'd personally finger stuff like manmade pollutants and chemicals in the watershed that accumulate in the body. Stuff like DDT.

But old-people cancer's been around forever, it just became a problem when old people started getting older.

I read in this book: Lights out: Suger, Sleep and Survival (has over 100 pages of *references* at the end) that cancer largely can be traced to past 100 years. 100 years ago it was rare cause of death. since then it has steadily climbed through the ranks to the top cause of death.

The whole book talks about (and I warn you, here's the controversial part): that cancer follows the widespread use of constant artificial light at non-sunny times. There. I said it. I'm done. I'm not in any way a scientist in regards to this, I don't want to fight it.

But if you're still intrigued to know more. Well, I'm open.

I've read a review of that book that pointed out that it's cancer diagnosis, not cancer, that wasn't prevalent 100 years ago. And it doesn't point out the correlation between life expectancy and cancer rate.

So personally I'd take that with a grain of salt. Kevin Trudeau's book about new age medicine has about 40 pages of references, but doesn't mean it's used as medical advice.

I had a bio teacher that said if nothing else kills you, cancer will eventually.

I'm glad you've said that. Makes me feel good. Of course everything you said is true. I'm not going to fight anything you said.

I have no idea if it will cause cancer. I'll have to wait another 40 years to see. All I know is I feel better when I sleep in sync with the sun, waking at dawn, and doing little exertions after dusk. But posting in my North American time zone, I'm obviously not doing it now, I guess I'll take my cancer in 60 years.

Really all I can depend on are anecdotes and stories and books like that. What else can I do?
