I have a question about specialized running training. If I do quick three-mile runs, moderately intense 5-10 mile jogs, and sprint intervals all in the same week, can I improve at all of them? Is there a speed/distance I should concentrate on most?
I'm not sure but i bet if you did all 3 you'd get better @ all 3 simply due to an increased level of fitness!
Your 5-10 miles should be on monday, sprint intervals in between tuesday-thursday (with some 5-10 miles) and the quick 3 mile run should be towards the end. Concentrate on keeping a speed. With every week try to cut down your time on the 5-10 miles.

Hey it's OP, also what sort of meal or drink do you guys do after sprinting and running? I've been sticking to raw tuna and tofu.. but not sure.. someone said I should eat carbs and a bit of protein for my leg muscles.

>>295885Ideally right after you'd have a a small amount of easily digestable (high GI) carbs and some protein, Tuna is great, consider having Tuna with crackers or something.
