Looking for the perfect protein bar, /fit/. I try to have five-six meals a day, but the way I've planned it, one of my meals has to be around 200 calories. Basically, I'm looking for a bar that has a good amount of protein in it, with half the number of grams of protein being fiber as well. I found this one yesterday, was a peanut and caramel one... Had 190 calories, 15g protein, and 7g fiber. I remember it had a purple wrapper, and it said "Lite" on it.

bars are expensive. just drink a whey/fiberblend combination.

I cant find a single bar that doesn't taste like garbage. Good luck with your hunt though.

I actually love the taste of protein bars. I dunno, I guess I'm weird like that.

Anyway, I found these Atkins bars. Yeah, I hate Atkins as much as the next guy, but their lower carb protein bars decrease calories a good bit, and there is a good bit of fiber. I also found these Kashi GoLEAN Roll! bars. Not bad, either.

Not OP, but question.

I think I may be in a situation where I will need one of those "meal replacement" bars. You know, those xbawks huge bars that have like 32g of protein and are like 350 calories or so. I'll be sitting on a tour bus where all I'll be able to eat is some middle on nowhere Tenessee buffet place. Not very pleasant sounding. The amount of protein sounds fine in them, the bar sounds tasty, and for the lack of fiber, I'm thinking about pre measuring some Fiber One Original cereal and having it as a supplement. Does this sound good enough?

many of these bars contain too much artificial shit I don't like.
It's hard to find a good bar that uses natural flavor.

Make your own. Seriously. Search on foodnetwork.com for Good Eats protein bars. Make them and you'll never buy another bar again.

Motherfucking Clif Bars. They only have 10g of protein, but if you want more they have the builder bars which are 20g.

I've tried the Atkins bar and the hazelnut variety tasted very good. Also 0 carbs is pretty awesome.

The best ones I've had tastewise were DANutrition bars (pic), but I don't know if you'll find them outside europe.

OP here, sounds good about the Atkins thing.

Though, I have a question. What store has the biggest selection of protein bars? A lot of stores I go to don't have the greatest selection...

I got a big box of Clif protein bars at costco yesterday.

I also found that Raley's a a really nice selection.
