What does /fit/ think of The Abs Diet? I'm 25, 5'9", and between 275-280 pounds, about 100 pounds overweight. I'm not that tall but I do have a mesomorphic frame. All of this excess weight is from an absolutely horrible diet and excessive drinking (my drink is beer and sambuca shots, all that sugar is making it worse I'm sure).

At this point I'm just looking for something to start with. I know I can easily lose a good chunk of excess weight by not eating/drinking like a fucking retard.

i actually used the abs diet in high school and i must say it worked pretty well. i actually didnt start my diet until i finished reading the book so that i can apply everything all at once instead of doing the weight lifting part and then the eating once i get to it. make the abs diet smootie EVERY day for breakfast. it really helped me loose fat. i recommend this book

What was your starting weight, and how much did you lose? Have you managed to keep it off?

You have to order it from the website. They'll send it to you for free. You can send it back after a 6 week trial, but if you decide to keep it, it's something like 4 payments of $7.99. I ordered it the middle of last week.

I don't think OP wants an advertisement. I think he wants advice and secrets.

Um... OP here. I'm also>>135242

I haven't really been able to find any actual results. Nobody has said "this book is great. I went from X pounds to X pounds in X months."

Here's an idea. Instead of relying on some kind of magical formula, you stop drinking and start paying more attention to all the shit you put into your body. Christ, it's not that hard to eat like a normal person and have a healthy weight.

i stopped eating shit. i started working out every day. i exercised restraint and willpower. i've lost weight.

use your brain.

A little guidance is always good. I don't know what I'm doing.

If you want to start, then at your weight I would recommend that you just stop eating food that you don't make yourself. Don't eat bread, pasta, or potatos. Don't use butter and shit like that. Don't drink soda, and don't drink beer (I know from personal experience this can be the hardest part so cut yourself slack on 1 or 2 days a week). And start walking for an hour a day (at once).

That's all you have to do at your weight and you WILL lose weight. It's a start, and it's a good one.

I've never had to try to loose weight and have problems understanding people who find it difficult. As far as I'm concerned all you need to do is limit your meals to meat+veg. Have as few extra ingredients (pasta/rice etc) as possible. You shouldn't need a "special" diet, just a good one.

Exercise properly and that is all you need.

The only advantage of books like that are that they TELL you what to do. If you have the motivation you should be able to do it yourself. It isn't hard to stop eating junk.

That's why I decided to order the abs diet book. It's not a diet as in, "I'm going on a diet", it's a diet in the traditional sense. You know, before fat housewives hijacked the word.

Anyway, not all of us have the discipline to do something like this on our own. I sure as fuck don't. I need help.
