Bags are good for technique and building up calluses on your knuckles. Mediocre for bulking up or training, but hell if I don't love beating on a bag for an hour.
I'll assume you're right handed. Your stance should be your body facing to the forward right, your left foot forward and to the left, your right foot back so you're balanced. Arms to chest ready to block.
Left-hand jab Right-hand cross Both hand hook Right-hand uppercut Right-hand backfist
Then you can try your snap kicks, full roundhouses, back kicks, quick snaps, forward roundhouse, that sort of deal for your legs.
