Hello /fit/. I'm 20, 6'0" and about 17 stone. I do stretches before exercising but still manage to strain my mid-section after just a handful of crunch or pushup based exercises. What am I doing wrong?

You are meant to "feel the burn" doing crunches.

Its commonly known around here as "weakness leaving your body", DOMS is a good thing.

Keep your back really straight during pushups, I guess? Or start doing gentle resistance training before building up to bodyweight exercises. It's hard to say. Is that 17 stone muscle or fat?
