Hey /fit/, I know you're not supposed to do weights every day (to give your body time to cool down), but does the same thing apply to things like crunches, push-ups, and other similar exercises?

I just started exercising a couple weeks ago, I'm hoping to drop 20 lbs and get some muscle tone. Should I be taking protein/creatine shakes for that, or is that only for people who are already fit and want to bulk up? I'm not interested in bulk.

Firstly, you can do weights ever day as long as you work a different muscle group from the day before and make sure your work out isn't too intense.

As for your question, you should be fine doing them each day, though you'll probably experience some horrendous abdominal pain if you are not used to doing crunches every day for the first week or so.

Good luck though.

If it makes you sore, you shouldn't do it everyday

if you don't give muscles time to heal you'll just be tearing down town muscle

it will only harm you and meanwhile it'll suck having sore shit all the time

Run or cardio everyday, and do stuff for your muscles like every other day to every 3 days or however long you take to *almost* heal completely.

I fnid the best thing to do is alternate days. So on even days work on the lower body, and odd days work on the upper body.

To gani muscle tone easier, it's best to work out right before dinner. You'll gain complete proteins from the meat you have, making it more efficient than protein shakes.

But since there is no God, you'll have to settle for Anon.
