/fit/, I'm on month 2 of my new lifestyle of eating healthier foods and all but for some reason I've been craving other kinds of foods, why now?

I'm guessing it's because i've been eating ALOT of the same foods (fuckload of skinless chicken)

and need a variety

is there anything else when it comes to meat other than: tuna, steak, fish, chicken, pork, beef, turkey?

just need some help when it comes to a variety or foods other than the same things over and over, or do i just have to stick it out with that?

its called synthetic withdraw, I got it bad after I stopped eating fast food. you'll feel; sick alot, dizzy, and weak.

It passes rather quickly depending on how fit you are

Yes, try eating a NORMAL diet. IE, eat healthy meals often, but don't be afraid to fucking have a burger, spaghetti and meatballs, or some chocolate every now then.

Very few people can stay on a restrictive diet based around vegetables and lean meats EVERY DAY for EVERY MEAL.

Also, biology dictates that when you crave something, it's usually because your body needs some of the shit that's in it, and that can include just plain fatty baked snacks if you're cutting fat too much. If you crave pizza, order a small pizza and eat no more than two slices...split it with a friend or two to make sure it doesn't haunt you to eat the rest. The key with dieting is to change portions and replace MOST of the bad foods with healthy meals, but, fuck, don't deprive yourself altogether.

Also, as per your meat question: No, not really. Unless you can buy wild game meat locally, you've pretty much covered all your options except for shellfish.

Seriously, though, don't be too restrictive. If you restrict too much, you're inexorably going to splurge anyway, so you might as well casually have treat meals in order to avoid giant binge of candy and burgers.

Also, month two? Yup, that's about the time cravings come around. Been there a few times through cutting routines...just eat what you crave, but watch the portions and cut out the pointless things (for example, get a burger, but no cheese or mayo).

try lentils or some other legumes to add to, augment the meat products you are using. if you have any "chef" impulses, go for it. indian curries are real easy to do, and turmeric (a spice in curry) apparently aids in metabolism. anywho, I schedule cheat days every sunday, and every two months (coinciding with holiday or birthdays, etc) i schedule off an entire cheat week. this keeps me motivated and happy to continue my relatively strict diet of oatmeal, eggs, fish, chicken breast, vegetables, , etc.

Well, that's what I was talking about. I wasn't implying you should ALWAYS give in to your cravings. If you're already cheating once a week, just ignore the cravings.
