I'll try my best to dumb it down for you. When you boil vegetables in water, the nutrients escape the vegetables, they Leave the vegetable, they are gone, they go into the water they're being boiled in. when you microwave vegetables, they Keep the nutrients, because there is no where for the nutrients to go, it has to stay inside of the vegetable, there is no water surrounding the vegetable for the nutrients to go.
What both equations leave out, is the fact that when you microwave the nutrients, it breaks the nutrients down through radiation and sparatic molecular movement, making the nutrient either useless or less usable for your body to build into whatever system that nutrient is vital to.
