ARRRRRGHHH I'M SO FUCKING WEAK!!!!I have about 18 months of weight training experience under my belt. I've learned everything through research and guesswork. Right now I'm on a three day split and a bulking phase. I've gone from 139 to 154 pounds in 4 months.I've made good aesthetical and size gains, but my absolute strength is still very low. Even after I switched to a more strength oriented workout (6 reps and 3 sets, incorporating techniques like training to failure and isometric work, etc.) I wasn't making significant strength increases. So now I want /fit/'s input. I want pure strength gains. I don't care if I have to shrink, grow, or stay the same size. I have time to work out nearly every day. Please bestow me with your advice.Pic related, this is what I want to FEEL like
TAKE FISH OIL E'REY DAY BOIYY I DONT GIVE A FUCKKKK!
>>151560Coincidentally, I ordered Fish Oil capsules just a few days ago through Puritan Pride's buy 1 get 2 sale. I look forward to popping them.
There's gotta be SOMEONE out there who specializes in strength gains or has an experience like this.
>>151630RippetoesBill Starr 5x5Westside for skinny bastards.these are all google-able. pick one you like, they all are focused on gaining strength, and a some size. they all are kickass programs that work.also..... FISH OILLLLLLLLLSONNN
6 reps is sort of the ass end of the spectrum, try for closer to 3-4 if you're having so much trouble gaining. Also, drop the isometrics, and replace with negatives (heavy weight, cheat the weight up, lower it slowly with control).
http://www.t-nation.com/readArticle.do?id=2082217Read through this. It's the first part of a program for making you X BOX HUEG but focuses a lot on building the strength "base" by training your nervous system and tendons, which sounds like the issue you're having.
