Alright, /fit/, here's the deal. Since I started college, I've started gaining weight. Right now I weigh about 220. It's not morbidly obese or anything, but I think I could use some work. I'm 5'8, but I'd like to get down to at least 180. Anyway, I'm going to be home all summer. I don't really have anything to do but work and come home. I don't want to pay to go to the gym because if I wait a few months I'll get to used the university's for free. What I want to know is, what kind of exercises could I do at home to help lose weight. I know running would be great, but I don't really have anywhere to run.

I'm sure there is more too it than just squatz. And if so, how do I go about squatting properly?

dude I'm 5'8" and I think I'm morbidly obese at 200 pounds right now. I was over 205 about 2 weeks ago but I did quite a bit of HIIT training. Also donated all of my sodas, chips and cookies to shelters. I just live off grain foods like gram crackers, granola bars, and maybe goldfish crackers for snacks. Find a jump rope and some dumbbells in your home and make use of them or go outside and run around your block a couple of times.

Get a guy to get a massive erection, lay him on the ground, and squat until his cock goes in your anus and you can feel it in your throat, then you will know how far to squat.

220lb at five foot eight is obese, sadly. Try jump-roping, if you keep at it long enough it's just as good a cardio workout as running.

Sounds good, dude. I'll get right on it.

Well, 220 isn't the biggest I've been. I used to weigh about 260 several years ago. I managed to lose those sixty pounds and keep them off for about a year. Then I got a girlfriend, and went off to college and got lazy. Then I started getting fatter. I don't have a problem with my diet right now. I'm just worried I'm going to end up back at 260 if I don't do something about it, and I figure it is best to start while I'm at home for the next few months with nothing to do.

You have everywhere to run.

Do you have roads to get to where you live? Do you have a neighborhood or park nearby with sidewalks or trails? Do you live near a school? Most schools have tracks. Some have running trails for their cross country team. Some have stadiums, so if you're up for a challenge, run bleachers. If you live close to your university, run around campus. That's part of how I lost weight. Do you live near a golf course? If management isn't strict, run that. Do you live out in the middle of nowhere? Run on trails or fields.

You have to get creative and stop making excuses.

Well your motivation could be if you gain the weight, your gf would dump you. I dont mean to be cruel, but do you think she would have looked twice at you if were 260lb when she met you?

Depends on body build. These "weight to height" ratio's are inaccurate if someone is built with a shitload of muscle.

260-220=40 not 60

first of all, lrn2math

second you lost you're motivation when you got a girl and got into a college. You need some goal or constant to keep you in perspective the mirror is one thing for me, my annoying parents are the second and the bitches at my campus are the third as long as I can't escape either of these thing I will continue to work out.

No, I lost sixty. I got down to 220 and gained the extra twenty back.

Also, right now I'm not too worried about whether my gf dumps me or not. But that has nothing to do with /fit/. I just don't really like how I've let myself go lately.

Yeah, that's true. :| It's just kind of hard to find time to actually go out to places like that. I guess it wouldn't hurt to go out my way to get healthy.

again, you're stress is causing you to lose focus on bettering yourself. Whatever happening in this relationship let it happen. if you're saying this she probably wants her space or wants to see other guys, maybe both. Just exercise to keep your mind off worrying about your relationship even if it works for only an hour of the day

Yeah, that was a small part of why I decided to try and get in better shape. Something to do to keep my mind off of things.
