the fuck did you just say boy?

Down the road, in a gym far away
A young man was heard to say,
"No matter what I do, my legs won't grow!"
He tried leg extensions, leg curls, leg presses too.
Trying to cheat, these sissy workouts he'd do!
From the corner of the gym where the big guys train,
Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain,
Where the big iron rides high, and threatin' lives,
Where the noise is made with big forty-fives,
A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees,
A very big man with legs like trees,
Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack,
Chalked his hands and monstrous back,
Said, "Boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten!
Trouble with you is you aint been SQUATIN'!!"

I use them to add weight to pull ups or abs workouts, like reverse crunches. Other than that, I dont see too much use for them

I used to be in a chorus line, and I would do high kicks with them, because if you can do them with weights, they just fly up there without them.

However, they will ruin your ankles if they aren't already strong.

Weight vests are better and more useful. I bought one of these about two months ago from this guy, and it kicks ass.

i heard that using weights when you run can really fuck up your joint.s just be careful when using them... i'd do some research and ask people about their experiences with them.

What do you think OP is doing here?

They're good for whatever the hell it's called when you drop your heel over the edge of a step and push yourself up, great for calves and jumping.

I can't find a price listed anywhere, and the link to the MiR website doesn't work. How much did it cost you? I'd be looking for a pretty big sized weight, I'd love to get used to calithetics with that added to it.

Run. Then Lift Weights.

Why combine the two and do them both shittily? If you must do weights, weight vest. Knees aren't meant to have weight suspended from them. Get a copy of Gray's and look at those five ligaments and tell Anon whether you think that setup looks like it's meant to stabilize two objects stacked together or meant to have fifteen pounds of lead shot hanging from it.

I use them occasionally and even then I modify my work outs to be mindful of my joints. I train in Taekwondo, Mixed Martial Arts, and Gymnastics and my girlfriend at the time gave them to me. She and my instructors warned me to use it sparingly and never perform full leg extensions.

Example: I train my kicks on them sometimes (like a round or a front kick) and I'll throw the leg in that direction, but keeping my knee bent so that I don't fully extend the leg and cause the extra flying weight to hyperextend the knee. Also refrain from just holding out a leg to see how long you can hold it because your ankle or knee will just start bending down towards the ground (slightly but enough to cause injury and tear tendons).

And while it will make you feel lighter, using it excessively will still cause damage to tendons and joints even if you're using them safely.

you use them when you want sand to leak out onto the floor and make a mess of everything
