Eat less, move more.

Not a chance you'll make that goal without some godly discipline. You'll maybe shed 30-45lb pretty fast, but you'll plateau around 220 I'm guessing. I've just been trying to go 225-195 and I've made it about halfway in three months, losing most of that weight in the first month.

You need to tell us your calorie intake, height, age, exercise routine etc or we can't do much more than say "eat less move more fatty"

Velocity diet - google it, follow it for 4 weeks, transition to a carb up at morning, down to just protien for dinner diet, start doing resistance training, stop worrying about the scales for looks, and worry about the mirror, weight just tells you how deep your footsteps are, the mirror's what matters for looks.

If it's about health, weight's still not relevant, as long as you're eating well and exercising often, you could be 250lb and healthy, just very muscular.

KETOSIS ANYONE??

I believe ketosis is the best way for you, hamburger patties with mayo and bacon? You want to be able to eat shit like that and still lose some serious weight??

WELL GO KETOSIS! Basically it's a high fat medium protein NO CARB(under 50gr) program

Along with ketosis, you should take Omega 3 fish oil, cod liver oil and udo's oil. => Ultra results, well fatty get workin'

keep track of what you eat vs. how many calories you burn

if caloriesBurned > caloriesConsumed then you are most likely losing weight

it means you're building muscle mass, thats a good thing
start measuring yourself in inches not pounds

my god you fucking retard, why don't you at least research what i was talking about?
No this is not a troll post you fucktard, ketosis is the shit.
It isn't a fad diet, it is the BEST way to lose fat if you are seriously overweight(that is burning fat is more important than gaining muscle/preserving it)

Also Omega 3 fish oil(and cod liver oil) are filled with essential fatty acids(DHA,EPA,fuck you retard(yes it is an essential fatty acid)) and their benefits are immense.

I believe what many fatties like op(myself included, i made this mistake) do is they neglect the EFA part of their diet.

Thus omega 3 fish oil,cod liver oil + udo's oil => ALL THE FUCKING EFA YOU WILL EVER FUCKING NEED

SO FUCK YOU, you fucking retard, it was no troll post

Ketosis for weight loss is kind of bullshit. That kind of diet (Atkins) works for other reasons.

Ketosis is the same state your body goes into when you're fasting.

It's not a good state to be in for a lengthy duration.

Entering into it via low carbs is used for weight-loss treatments (medical conditions) but is considered controversial... according to wikipedia

>The low-carbohydrate diet was associated with a greater improvement in some risk factors for coronary heart disease.

omega 3s and such are good to take regardless of weight/diet.

...but your body needs carbs.

your body doesn't need carbs, it needs energy, it needs essential fatty acids and essential amino acids, no such thing as an essential carbohydrate.

>your body doesn't need carbs

in Ketosis, your body consumes ketone bodies and reserves glucose only for instances where it really needs it. Without carbs your body won't be producing enough glucose to power your muscles sufficiently.

OP says that he does cardio, by not eating carbs this will affect him.

Also, your body needs fiber to fight disease and your liver needs glucose from the carbs you eat.

Ketosis as a form of weight loss is used for medical conditions. That's when the risks of being obese outweigh the risks of your body being in that state. Generally it's not a good idea when your body has to rely on consuming itself as a primary source of energy.
