Just make sure to eat a LOT of protein.
It's even discussed in the article that was posted in this thread.
Heavy weight training + high protein diet with a reduced calorie diet = muscle development AND weight loss.
It is, in fact, MORE effecient at burning fat than straight restriction and cardio.
I don't know why this board keeps repeating the fact that you can't do both. Maybe it's an old inside joke that I don't get . . . but the BEST way to lose fat is through anaerobic exercise.
