/fit/, I have a problem.
I am a wrestler so during the season i always get very toned and such..but during off season it seems all the fat goes to my back and lower stomach. Anyone have any workouts to counter this? Pic related..its me right now...hard to see cause its cut off but u can see beginnings of muffin-top and lower stomach fat

I wouldn't call visible six pack abs skin and bones. He's just small. Cardio, cardio, cardio. Fat loss through cardio is the simplest route, coupled with a lowish calorie diet. Running is best.

On average it should be about 100 calories per mile. You need to make a 500 calorie deficit per day to lose 2 pounds per week. First, you need to find out how many calories it takes a day to maintain your body fat level. Running combined with a lower calorie diet should make this no sweat.

My favorite little 19yo cousin was a WA State HS wrestling champion before he graduated. He used to combat this particular problem through these methods quite effectively:

* Hit the gym - you don't have to be a pro-bodybuilder type... he never was. He *hated* the gym but he would at least hit some kind of a fully body workout or partial workout 1-2x/week

* KEEP WRESTLING IN THE OFF SEASON! Just don't do it to injury. My cousin and 4-5 of his wrestling buddies formed an ad-hoc practice group and they would wrestle in his liv. room 2-3x/week just to keep strong and keep their skills sharp. Granted wrestling your friends who's techniques you all know and who are likely to be in a different weight class than you is nothing like competition - but it's still a good idea.

* Run. He also played varsity soccer in the off season and went running like crazy all the time.

Keys to success? Yes. Wrestling is probably the most physically demanding sport you could pick but also the best IMHO. Doing great at it though requires crazy commitment.

My "little" cousin now looks like a 19yo badass who could get pretty-much any girl he wants - except he's one of the nicest guys I know and would never act like that.
