today, some guy at the gym was doing 1/4 squats in the squat racks with about 275 lbs , when he was done, i told him not to rack his weights (since i squat the same weight), he decided to watch me do my set, and he had a very shocking expression on his face, when i was done he asked ( BRAH, HOW CAN YOU SQUAT SO LOW WITH THAT MUCH WEIGHT?!?) after 1 1/2 months of squatting i realized i was squatting below parrallel, but the way he said it was very weird, as if its a big deal,

i've been googling people's opinions regarding atg squats and parralel squats but i would much rather hear /fit/'s opinion regarding this,

also in the last rep in the last set, i don't know why but i was struggling a little to push the weight up and my knees pointed inward,is this bad or normal with ATG squats?

Keep doing what you're doing. ATG is doinitrite.

Don't let your knees come inward at the bottom. Push them out.

Well /fit/, today I decided to give squats a go.

I'm impressed, they're actually really good. Granted, I'm terrible at them since I've neglected my legs so hard. But hopefully within a month I can be doing them decently.

i like front squats a lot better

safer because less weight
harder because they impair your breathing

If your knees collapse too far inward, then the edges of your feet will roll off the ground, giving you a bad support base. Keep the knees tracking out over the toes (it doesn't matter if they go past the toes, just stay in the same line as the foot).
