I like my body aside from having a goddamn belly. Is there any way to lose weight from my stomach, without losing weight from my boobs?
I like my boobs, I don't want them to go away.

I have a very busy schedule of work and school, I'm also a broke student- so I can't afford a gym. Is it possible to lose weight by just dieting?
My diet is pretty crap. I eat once or twice a day, and random stuff.
>> Anonymous
Yeah just spot reduce it.
>> Anonymous
No such thing as spot reducing, aside from surgury.

As for a diet, look up "ABS DIET POWER" on google, and eat 6x300calorie meals a day.
>> fatchan
>>153147
How is it humanly possible to eat 6 meals a day?
Am I retarded for only feeling hungry once or twice a day
>> Anonymous
>>153150

you're just used to eating that way, eating smaller meals increases your metabolism + fat burn.
>> Anonymous
>>153150
do you eat snacks
>> Anonymous
>>153153
No, I don't snack at all.
I also probably drink a lot less than I should. I only drink when I eat, maybe once more before bed.
>> Anonymous
They won't go away. Just eat a bit less, and try to find time to do some basic exercises. Even just running 1 mile at a fast rate will help and takes all of 6-8 minutes depending on how fast you are. Sit ups will add definition.

BTW, don't listen to the fools who say "HAHA NO SITUPS BULGE YOUR STOMACH OUT"
That's a load of shit.
>> fatchan
>>153158
I was wondering about situps- I used to love doing them, until I was told that they just make your stomach stick our farther.
>> Anonymous
Drink at least a half gallon of water a day. It'll increase your metabolism, thus burning fat.
>> Anonymous
>>153150

You just eat meals that most people would consider snacks. My regimen is five meals per day in three hour intervals, roughly 300 calories per meal, give or take.

>>153147

1800 calories per day is way too much for a female trying to lose weight. She should do 6x200 and bump up the cardio.

My bad, 300 kcal meals is what I usually do, so I'm used to saying "6x300"

But yeah, take the number of kcal from here [http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm]
and subtract 200. Divide that by 6 and you have how much you should eat each meal.
>> Anonymous
>>153164

Well, just take what you would normally make a meal out of, and cut it in a third or something. You aren't really snacking on this diet plan, you're changing your pattern from larger meals at longer intervals to smaller meals at shorter intervals.

It's actually a lot of fun. You never really feel hungry and it feels like you get to eat a lot, but you're not doing anything bad for your body.

Here's mine for today, I like to plan my stuff ahead so I had it written out last night:

Breakfast: 1 cup Fiber One Honey Clusters cereal (160 calories)
Breakfast #2: 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal, cinnamon flavored with a few drops of honey (about 150 calories)
Lunch: Ham sandwich on whole wheat bun, topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, jalapeno rings, ketchup and mustard (300 calories)
Lunch #2: Three grilled chicken tenderloin strips (skinless), half a cup of peas, half a cup of broccoli, small portion of brown rice (350 calories)
Dinner: Can of fat free clam chowder and four saltine crackers (350 calories roughly)

This keeps my metabolism running constantly and I get to eat more often, which keeps me more satisfied. I eat five meals over the course of about 12 or 13 hours, then go to bed a few hours after the last meal.

Yeah...I'm a girl too and my calories run between 1000 and 1400 per day. I'm not really strict with like "OH GOTTA HAVE EXACTLY 350 CALORIES PER MEAL OR ELSE IM SCREWED". The plan is working well for me so far, I've been doing it for about a month and I've lost almost 15 pounds (goal was to lose 25 pounds...so it's going REALLY smoothly).

Also, walking counts as cardio. That's the only exercise I do. Just don't walk like a 75 year old going for a stroll.

Um, about 160. I'm 5'11" though -_-

I desperately want to avoid becoming one of those rail thin beanstalk girls, so my goal was to weigh about 135 or 140 pounds and try to get my body more proportionate by losing some stomach and thigh flab. But at 160, I was getting a little to heavy.

Also, I walk at like 3 miles per hour for an hour every day. It's not too slow or too hard for me, just the right pace. I can't keep up with those racewalkers who walk at like 5 MPH.

>> Anonymous
There's no way to burn fat from just one place, I'm afraid. Here's a very simple formula for quick weight loss: body weight (lbs) x 10. x9 or x8 if you're predisposed to quick fat gain.

It's extreme, so I seriously suggest you go and research first or you might just end up looking like shit when you're done. If your breasts are large in proportion to the rest of your body they'll probably maintain that proportion even after a strict diet, but obviously they will also lose a bit of size.
>> fatchan

I definitely have a belly, and I took shots without shirt simply because I figured it would give a better idea and it's what most of the girls around here seem to do.

There you go, and I didn't bother trying to suck anything it. No point in trying to hide what I want to fix, lul.
>> Anonymous
It's quite simply. Since you're a female, I'd suggest four meals a day, each at around 350 calories. Try to make the time between them equal. As for exercise, try to go to the gym and do a total of 60 minutes of cardio. I do over an hour everyday, but I don't think you need that much, maybe five days a week.
>> fatchan
>>153259
Is 60 minutes of running the same as 60 minutes of cardio in a gym?
>> Anonymous
>>153269

Depends on heart rate during the exercises performed.

Like... let's say you use the stair climber versus running outdoors. You'll more likely lose more calories running BUT the stair climber has some muscular benefits that running doesn't.
>> Anonymous
>>153259

60 minutes is a daunting task, at first. Work up to it from 30 minutes (or however much your current max would be).
>> Anonymous
Ok, I'll just be frank: you're boobs are not that great. Just go work out and lose the fat you wanna lose. If the boobs go away, too bad. You didn't have much to begin with.
>> Anonymous
>>153222

Lots of people avoid running because it's terrible for your knees. Also, my mp3 player headphones fall out when I run. Walking is just more my pace and if it burns my calories and makes me feel good, I don't see the point of over exerting myself.

>>153269

Generally, running or walking is the best form of cardio. And you burn more calories and work more muscles if you're doing it outside on hard pavement, although things like treadmills and ellipticals are much lower impact on your bones, which is always something to be concerned about.

>>153258
I'm surprised at how you carry weight as a girl. No offense, but it seems to have avoided your arms, thighs and hips, which is just unusual for a walking bag of estrogen (I kid). Are you a drinker or something? Lots of alcohol will put a bit of a stomach on anybody.

stretch marks come from rapid growth not weight loss (I'd know I have them all on my right fucking shoulder and they suck)

loose skin comes from weight loss but at a relatively young age, and with proper diet it goes away pretty quick.

as for OP i'd suggest cutting out all sugary shit from diet and for each cardio session, running for 15-20 minutes with MAXIMUM effort, none of this walking pace jog crap, followed by 20-30 minutes walking.

Kendofag here. Aesthetics? Sure, looks cool I guess. Doesn't build any real appealing musculature. On the other hand, it's a good cardio regimen. 2 to 3 minute matches make for some great high intensity training that requires every muscle in your body to work together, though, so it's not all aesthetics. I'm a runner, and kendo raped me in way of figuring out how to concentrate on full-body focus. When you run, you use your legs. When you lift weights, you (sometimes) use just your arms. But when you do kendo, everything all at once needs to be at full force potential. In that way, you can imagine how it would raise your heartrate real well for some time.

Your school doesn't have a kendo club? Kendo can be cheap to practice if you just have some time and a few fellow practitioners.

I practice for free at dojos because I've already paid my $75 AUSKF dues for the year, and I practice there as a guest. They really only pile on the fees when you want to start there and remain there to represent that dojo--they're too polite to charge guests.
>> Anonymous
>>153562

Nonsense, kendo is simply manipulating a stick which takes focus, not aerobic endurance. What are you, a ten year old girl?

You mention "every muscle working together", "full-body focus", and "full-force potential"? These are found in violent, hand-to-hand combat situations like non-redneck MMA and K-1 rule fighting. Even surfers use all their body musculature, a stick swinging weeaboo certainly doesn't.
>> Anonymous
>>153581

But by all means, practice what you enjoy. It's better than trying to score fat chicks on the internet when a moonperson just might look twice in your direction in real life while you're playing samurai (god help us).
>> Anonymous
>>153581
Sup troll. There's more components to kendo than waving a stick around--don't let those youtube videos of rednecks with shinai calling it kendo fool you. There's a very strict footwork pattern that has to be followed which required tension of your center/core/abs at most times, particularly when striking. A point is only counted if you strike properly, stomp your right foot down when contact is made, and scream out loud at the same time. Even then, you must accelerate through after your strike, going forward even quicker than before without any oxygen in you.

But you are right. All those other sports do this as well, I suppose, but I'm no one to say anything on that.

Aside from the dieting, Tabata interval burpees will burn off some fat. Actually Tabata interval anything will burn fat, you just don't need much other than some space for burpees.

Tabatas are 20 seconds of high intensity work (as many reps as possible) followed by 10 seconds of rest. Be warned though, doing it properly will nuke you for a while so make sure you don't have anything planned for a little while afterwards.

Base your goals on how you want to look, not how much you think you should weigh. Unless your some fat wal mart shopper, which your not.

Goog luck.

spot reduction is mainly considerd a myth because of how hard it is to do. when you exercise you burn carbohydrates in those mucles untill they get used up at which time your body uses body fat to replenish the energy lost. you could do this to your stomach by doing ab workouts to the point where you hit your "wall" like marathon runners and keep going, this would require heman abs and on top of that fat burn is only slight localized so you wont see that much loss

tl;dr enjoy trading boobs for thinness

There's a guy that sometimes does HIIT at the track I run at. He's probably in his 40s and an average build, but I swear if I ever saw someone with OP's build I'd laugh at her and cut her off when running by. Fat people are so funny.

OSAKA is awesome OP. Super cool city.

I loved that babes were checking Me out. I felt like a stud. Maybe they have been starved for so long for big cock that they have developed a radar for it. It was kinda cool to watch them get all hot and bothered, though.

Wow there's a lot of good advice here, /fit/fags!

Don't just diet. Do cardio as well.
>Sex is good cardio.
>Stop eating junk food and drinking soda

Find your maximum heart rate with 205.8 - (0.685 × Age) and stay within 70%-80% of that for 30 minutes when doing cardio.
After a few weeks of that work into HIIT for a shorter period of time.

Crunches won't add definition if there are layers of fat over your abs.

Not eating enough can cause your body to store fat.
Find your BMR and keep track of your calories per day
for 3 days - 1 week to see how many calories to cut, if any.

If you are actually under your BMR, just excercise and eat the same amount
that you eat now but in smaller portions spread evenly throughout the day

Weight bearing exercise is important since you're female. It will help strengthen
your bones/prevent osteoporosis. Also consider some strength training to keep loss of muscle to a minimum.

>Crunches won't add definition

Just stop right there. Your core has THE LOWEST POTENTIAL FOR HYPERTROPHY IN YOUR ENTIER BODY. YOU WILL NOT GET BIG ABS BY WORKING THEM OUT.

Yes, it is important to keep your core strong, but doing crunches /= getting abs.

Also, spot reduction is a joke. The muscles under the fat don't own the fat above it. You get fat from all over your body. If it looks like you can spot reduct, it's probably because you lost fat equally in other parts of your body.

>Lots of alcohol will put a bit of a stomach on anybody.

Most weight gain "related" to alcohol is generally from other aspects of drinking, not the calories consumed from the alcohol.

Eating pizza, not exercising, staying up late - that is what makes you fat, not the booze itself.

Where did I say not to do crunches?

Homie I was referring to was under the impression that doing crunhces crates ab definition, which is basically not true.

>>154129
I believe you are mistaken. I didn't say you said not to do crunches.

Also, the other guy actually said "Crunches *won't* add definition if there are layers of fat over your abs."

In other words, we're all in agreeance and don't just don't know it :)

I just looked at my posted, and I butchered english. I'm glad you could read it

Well, that's half true. Of course, if you're one of those drinkers who gets smashed and then goes wild on delivery food, you'll gain a fuckton of weight very fast.

But if you just drink to drunk...well, unless you're 120 pounds and have no tolerance, you're gonna consume between 500 and 1500 calories of booze just to get drunk. That's ALL liquid simple carbs that just go right into fat storage. You're basically drinking candy.

I mean, have you seen the calories in even simple clear alcohols? One ounce of vodka, considered one of the lowest calorie alcoholic drinks, is 70 calories. That's not including any sort of mixing. Even featherweight girls need a good four ounces to get drunk. Then look at beer. Average non light beer contains between 250 and 400 calories for ONE CAN.

Sure, it's possible to workout so much that all that alcohol doesn't put on weight, but I don't know anyone aside from people training for the Olympics who possibly works out that often.

Hey honey I have pretty much your exact body type. Your boobs will shrink. Get over it. Your entire body needs toned. By the time you're thin enough to "look good for the summer" (sorry, you'd look bad in a two-piece with that muffin action) your boobs will be proportionate.

Eat less. Excersize. Drink lots of water and learn how to run. Take the advice from these other kids. You gots a ways to go.

If you're drinking heavily 5 or 6 nights a week, sure. But different kinds of foods/liquids/calories are treated differently.

People who ate 200 calories of nuts a day (1400 calories week, or more than 1/3rd of a pound) for a month in addition to their regulated diet gained no extra weight. They should have gained over a pound.

Milk fats are generally considered to be turned into body fat less frequently as well. Adding (yes, adding, not replacing) calories from milk products in moderate amounts doesn't affect weight gain.

You could probably drink an additional 2,000 calories of alcohol a week without weight gain, despite the fact that mathematically you should gain about 2 1/4 pounds from that.

Without short term weight gain, MAYBE.

All it takes is 100 extra calories per day that aren't burned off to add 10 pounds per year. Weight gains occur imperceptibly over time in 99% of cases. The remaining 1% are people with SEVERE overeating disorders or people with ultra rare conditions like Hashimoto's Disease.
