/fit/, I signed the dotted line, and I am going to be attending Marine Corps Boot Camp in San Diego next May. In all honesty, I am in horrible shape. I weigh in at about 285 pounds, and am deathly afraid of having to go into the Physical Conditioning Platoon. So, I'm taking a proactive approach and nipping this problem in the bud ASAP. However, I need to drop at least 50 pounds before I can start running properly. What is the fastest way to burn fat? What cardiovascular exercise will help me the most?

Start with either and elliptical or a bike to avoid hip and knee damage. Move to running later on. Get strict with your diet. You don't have any time to fuck around if you wanna lose the weight and not have a fucked up body at the end. You're not gonna drop 80 pounds in a month buddy, it's gonna be slow.

A rowing machine worked wonders for me for low-impact cardio purposes. But yeah, just about anything that involves a constant state of motion without your feet touching the ground sounds like a good idea.

I've been there man, I know the pain. Sucks when your lungs give out before your legs do while running, amirite?
