hey there /fit/, with winter creepin up soon i was wondering if i can get a decent cardio workout on a stationary bike?

If you own it use it. If you don't, don't. Being cold is a great motivation to get warm, running makes you warm. Adversity builds characters.

recumbent and stationary bikes don't burn as many calories by hour as other activities. Jumping rope will kick your ass, and burns way more calories than biking. Go to bodybuilding.com and search for jump roping programs and pick one you like / can handle. Swimming also burns way more calories, if you can find a nice indoor pool. I wouldn't worry if your fat going there, as the people that you'd encounter there are looking to workout / swim laps and not oggle poolside.
