/fit/, I have a problem with my face. Namely, the hair that grows on it.

My beard grows in with the consistency of steel wool; thick and nearly painful. For this reason, I keep clean-shaven, but I cannot figure out how I can get a truly 'proper' good shave.

Doing it with soap and water, cream, or an electric razor never yields satisfying results--it's not smooth unless I take multiple strokes over the same area and go against the grain, and the result is, naturally, horrendous pain.

At the same time, I CAN get a nice, clean shave by dry-shaving with one of those multi-bladed razors. However, this obviously gets painful too, and the toll it takes on my skin is likely going to have me sporting the (pic related) oatmeal-cookie-face look by the time I'm 40.

/fit/, how the fuck do I get a good shave?

If I had a laser, I'd use it on anything people would pay me to use it on that wouldn't get me arrested.

But you'd have to be some kind of pussy faggot to laser your beard. Just grow it out, faggot.

Yeah dude, just grow it out, but keep it trimmed. You're a man lucky enough to have an awesome beard.

I get pretty bad ingrown hairs (somebody was a Jew), so the curly hairs love to back the way they came. So, I keep mine grown out, but trimmed to a 1-3 on the beard trimmer. It's not a big deal, it blocks the sun, and generally protects my face.
