>>135864 I'm using _consistent_ anecdotal evidence, and accounts from many other people I know. Of course there's fucking exceptions you twit. And why did you put potheads in quotes? Are they not necessarily potheads? they only smoke a few times a week, don't let it interfere with their lives? If that's the case, guess what!?!!?! They're not potheads! They're responsible users.
I'm talking about the fuckheads that smoke every day, multiple times a day, despite whatever else they have to do that day. They may or may not have good jobs, and fairly functional just because their tolerance is so high, but the fact is, their recollection is severely affected for a long time after they quit (something around 30 days peak, but some evidence suggests that that memory portion of the brain is negatively affected, possibly in an atrophy-like way, by long-term heavy use), they're impossible to rely on while they're high (which is pretty often), and there's a huge 1-5 year gap in their life where much of what they did revolved around this crutch.
I honestly don't give a fuck if your magical friends can manage themselves if they do happen to fit the profile, that will never change the fact that the stereotype came from *somewhere*, and I've seen many times with my own eyes in a large number of people I knew growing up go from normal or intelligent to medicated mental patient for a while because they can't handle life or peer pressure, then make a steady comeback to reality after they bounce back and forth to and from sobriety.
