skinny guy halp Anonymous
so /fit/, I'm 24, 6'3" and about 130-140 pounds. Any suggestions for what I can do to bulk up a bit, preferably without joining a gym or anything like that. I hate to sound like a bicep obsessed faggot, but I'm especially concerned with my arms (the bones in my elbow stick out much further than the flesh of my arm should I extend it).

buy starting strength, join a gym, do the program and eat more

go to 7chan /fit/ and read their faq.

It's a good place to start

You could buy a 20-25 pound weight to start out with. Lift it 20 times with each arm, then do as many pushups as you can, then 20 times with each arm again. Maybe that'll help, also eat plenty and rest plenty.

If you don't want to/can't buy the weight, just do pushups/situps in your home.

he isnt going to be able to rep 20 pounds as a starting weight if he is super skinny. Maybe 10 - 15.

I'm his weight and not strong, and I could do 20 with a 20 pound weight..plus he's 6 years older than I am, lol.

seriously, if he hasn't worked out or had some kind of physical job, he will not be able to do 20 reps with a 20 pound dumbbell. granted you don't want to be doing 20 reps a set, that's too many, but still...wouldn't be doable for most people at that weight.

no chance, 20 lbs is a pretty heavy weight for your average person. 10 reps once perhaps, no way 20 reps and certainly no more than 1 set.

well, you're probably shorter. his height accounts for most of his weight, where as if you're shorter, muscle or fat would make up the weight. so your 130 pounds has more muscle than his
