I'm thinking of getting one of these, but I'm worried about ripping it off the door.

I'm about 115kilos, will this happen?

LOL NIGGA YOU CAN'T FUCKING PULL UP 115KG HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>> Anonymous
most likely.

Just get a steel bar the right size and some brackets and some screws. cheap and works and filling in screw holes on doors is super easy so fucking up your door if you aren't going to live there for a long time isn't a problem

Obviously only a step in getting fitter fuck face.

115kg..
is that not around 270-300 lbs?
you're bound to pull the unit off the wall before you get your forehead up against the bar.

a step towards getting fit is jogging. Leave the super intense plyometric shit until you've cut off 100+ lbs

maybe some squats too.

I own a door gym. I'm happy with it. OP's pic looks like there's going to be damage on door frame where contact is made. I hope that's padded.

Anyway, the way that most of those work, OP, is that your downward pull (gravity) is manipulated so that force is applied perpendicular to the door frame itself and the wall above the door, causing a 'pinch' that keeps you and the bar suspended with little stress on the doorframe itself. Word of caution, though. Do not do any kind of abrupt swinging motions,

About 250lbs.

Thanks. I'm kind of getting bored doing exercises, and wanted to change to something new.

oh that's a neat lil invention, i get it..

there is absolutely no way in hell you can do a pullup with 250 lbs, unless your 250 lbs of lean muscle.
If you're not doing high intensity free weight training, do it now, if yo uare already and you're 'Bored', get used to being 250 lbs.

spend the money on a good power rack instead.

I'm doing free weights already, but I wanted to add something else. I've dropped 15 kilos so far, and just wanted to add something extra.

It's not time for it now, unfortunately

alright well gl, someone else says it works so now i think i might research it.

my advice though is if you do get one, try to use a different one you nkow is stable to get comfortable with form, re-adjusting on the bar might be dangerous for a home setup

I weigh 225 and I can do 1 pullup(lol) and 3 chinups.
