When doing incline dumbell presses, what's the proper way of getting the weight to the starting position? I usually swing the dumbells up, but I could see this being a problem when I want to go heavy.

Use a spotter to help you get it up.

yea just place the weight on your knee and then use a knee jerk to get it up to your shoulders

Sounds easy enough, thank you

what do you guys do when you get really heavy (100lb+)? i feel that i cannot 'get them into position' well enough, and that becomes my limiting factor, not my ability to press. even having 1 spotter isnt enough, because as he's handing you the weight, it just sits on your chest.
mad props for Ronnie C getting those 200lbs into position with ease.

I keep two chairs, one on each side of the bench to hold the dumbbells. Works well IMO.

I figure if you cant swing it up yet,you dont need to be pressing it

Just clean it standing then sit down with it already in the position ready to press.
