Can vegans eat bugs? Sponge
Dear /fit,
I have been wondering for the longest time,
are vegans allowed to eat bugs, seeing as how they dont fall under the category of "animal"
I have asked various vegans and always get diffrent awensers. is it ethical to eat bugs in your opinions? and if so, what bugs would YOU eat?

in return, here is a cool picture of a tree with some kind of thing hanging out of it. :D

I wish it was 'normal' in society to eat bugs. I read somewhere they have way more protein in them than cows and can taste good with seasoning and such. Oh well :\

Off topic sru

and from personal expercience, termites are spicy, they would go good in like, salads or macaroni and cheeze. but can a vegan eat them???

Sentience is far more than being "self-aware". Go take a philosophy class or something. In animal rights philosophy, sentience is accepted as the ability to experience physical or mental suffering and the ability of a creature to understand its own basic needs (E.G., food, oxygen, water, shelter).

A creature doesn't need to sit down and ponder "What is art?" to be considered self-aware.

Vegans do not eat living creatures, nor things coming from those creatures. They don't even eat honey.

but plants are live, last time I checked they eat those...
