sup /fit/, I am 5'3" and about 220 lbs. and I'm just wondering, what's a "moderate" weight to aim for so I'm considered "average" for my height?

i'm 6,3 and 250 but people think i'm 190 or 200, i guess it is evenly distributed. however, i'd have to say a reasonable weight for 5,3 is around 140 or less

Anything under 140lb and you'd be considered at normal weight. Keep in mind though that you can be at "normal" weight and still essentially be unhealthy.

Go find out your BMI.

No, probably not. My brother is 6'1 and only weighs 145lbs because he does lots of running. Your lean mass is definitely going to be lower.

My advice would be don't pay attention to your weight, at all. Weight doesn't tell you anything about your bone mass, muscle mass, or fat mass, it just tells you what the sum of them is. You wan to be aerobically fit with low body fat, which a scale won't be able to tell you. Go running (or something) every day for the rest of your life; sometime before you die you'll be fit, and you'll know.

Because BMI is totally an awesome indicator of health.
