Dear /fit/,
I am a white male, 5'3, and 126lbs. I'd like to gain some weight (preferably not in the form of fat), but so far everything I've tried has resulted in no effect. I went to the gym for a few months last year, ate plenty of protein, calories, all that jazz, and still no weight gain. These days I participate in atleast two hours of rigorous weightless exercise (running, sparring, etc) every day, and four or more hours on saturdays, and I'm pretty much just skin and bones, despite my ravenous eating habits (5 meals or more a day).

What do you guys suggest for putting on some weight?

Pic is my stomach.

That doesn't sound very healthy.

chicken breasts, turkey breasts, tuna, flank steak, salmon, mix it in with some fatty acid omega 3's and you'll bulk

Here's a killer tip, scro': don't mix cardio with weight training if you want to bulk up. Do HIIT instead. Don't run, it fucks your squats/Deadlifts (you squat and or deadlift, right? if not, you'd better start.), choose stationary bikes instead. Maximum amount of cardio for one session is 10mins of interval training.

Might as well just skip the HIIT and opt for some kettlebell exercises. I have a kickass cardio although I don't really keep it up, I just do a lot of kettlebell workouts.

To put on mass you gotta take in more calories than you're burning. That's a biological fact. All that bullshit about "burn fat, build muscle!" is irrelevant and erroneus. It's easier to go 2 weeks +500kcal over your spending followed by a burning week of -500kcal under your spending.

Full body routines work for me, but then again I'm switching to dual factor programs to make some better strength gains.

Fuck assisted movements, go for compound, full body such as the deadlifts, squats, military presses and chinups.

's all.

I agree, do alot of squats and deadlifts, but I'd say keep the HIIT. I put on some serious lean muscle while doing Tabatas and sprints.
