What does /fit/ think of century set (100 rep) lifting?

I know /fit/ likes 5x5 lifting and 1 rep maxes, but would century sets be appropriate for me if i want to build muscular endurance?

you mean uninterrupted? or like get to 100 reps as fast as you can.

i did the latter with my bodyweight on the bar for back squats. i think its okay for certain stuff. wont really make your 1rm go up, but i found my groove alot easier after i did that.

Great way to train if your a little girl who never wants to gain substantial muscle.

I found it a good way to "shock" for new gains. not as a regular training routine though. I do 100 reps with a 45 degree leg sled every once in a while. I think it helps, but then again, it is just to compliment a complete leg routine, i.e. SQUATZ, ect.

yeah this only works as a one time thing that you do when your feeling crazy.

pick a heavy compound lift. put on like a 15rm, get 100 reps in the workout. die.

What activity do you want to build this endurance for?

Baiscally, to increase endurance, you should do that activity. With intervals. Of varying lengths.
