Two questions /fit/.

1. For biceps, are you better off doing bicep curls standing up, hands by sides, lift, lower, repeat, or are you better off sitting down, putting the lower end of your tricep against your thigh and then raising and lowering a dumbell in that manner ( which feels like it isolates my bicep and doesnt use my shoulder )?

2. Does meat lose any protein if you cook it for longer? Eg. Rare steak vs Well done steak, Crispy bacon vs Uncrispy bacon etc.

Pic semi related, as your hands are needed to grasp dumbells and cook.

Burning meat reduces the protein content because of glycation. Boiling meat does not; it denatures proteins and makes them easier to digest. Some kinds of proteins are reduced by this process, such as taurine, but you make your own taurine so who cares.

Thanks, now does anyone know the answer to the question about the bicep exercises?

It doesn't matter which way you do it so long as you have the same range of motion and prevent yourself from recruiting other muscles to assist your waiflike basement dweller snow white biceps.

If you want to isolate your bicep, then do preacher curls.
