Do you think 1 day a week of total indulgence,
ie 2 fast food meals, loads of alcohol

can ruin a good weeks workout ?

That means 4-5 HIIT morning sessions and 3x a week boxing + a little weights

OP here

By "ruin", i mean render useless from a fat loss perspective, i am prob 10% right now

part of the food pyramid is fat (even though it should be your least intake), so it still has its importance. besides, it's all about calories in, and calories out. so a week of lost calories probably won't be compensated by 1 day of slacking off.

as far as my understanding, the verdict is out on this one. my trainer told me ANYTHING GOES on cheat day, but some people tend to think you still have to take it easy. i was going to have donuts and ice cream and pizza and cheesy mexican food and BEEEEEEEEEEEER but i have been told that that is too much. maybe i'll scale it back or something.

It's going to screw you up. Because you are on a diet. Which is different to adopt new healthier habits. I saw some shows on tv where dieteticians and doctors told it was bullshit to have one fuck-up free day a week.
Indulge from time to time. Every month, for a burger or something.

lol no. If you're trying to get in shape, most of your calories should come from protein and fat and least of all carbs. Try to shoot for 50% protein, 30% fat, 20% carbs.

lol no. It depends what you're trying to do. If you're trying to lose weight then sure, that'll work. But not everybody is losing weight.

Those who are lifting to get bigger and/or stronger need those carbs. should be something like 30% protein, 50% carbs, 20% fat. Or 40, 40, 20. (strength and size respectively.)

Oh yea, and i'm not sure if that's by calorie, or by gram, i think it's by gram.

Though from what i'm told if you have hit a plateau you need to eat a shit meal to get back onto losing weight. Probably wrong, but i cant find much info on the subject.
