so what is /fit/s resting heart rate?I'm 18 and just took it after sitting on my computer all day, I'm at 64. Last year I was well over 80. feels good man.
you should take it right when you wake upmine is ~60
Mine is 85, wtf???I'm incredibly fit so this really makes no sense at all...I remember in primary school we counted our heart rates and then halved them, is this right, because otherwise I'm truly perplexed...
hit 73 on the 60th second
>>432930stop looking at /s/
>>432934how did you know?
>>432930Excuse me for being rude, but what kind of a retard can't figure out how to count a simple thing like this.It is beats per minute and if you are able to navigate this board you surely must know that one minute is sixty seconds, now you could be a moron and just count how many beats your heart does in one minute OR you can use mad math skills like multiplication.Example: 20 heartbeats in 15 seconds is60/15=420*4=80 BPM
>>432930resting heart rate is also dependent on things other than fitness (did you take any stimulants before measuring, emotional state when measured, genetics, body weight, ..), so 85 and fit is possible
>>432940well, my meaning was...is a beat a single pulse, or two pulses (blood in, blood out)
>>432953none of the things you mentioned, I'm thin-muscular, and had been doing shit all apart from playing fallout3 and browsing /b/ for pr0n
18y/o, 56Apparently that's excellent. Pretty good considering how much I smoke.
>>432930When you were kids you halved your heart rates because hearts of kids beat faster naturally
19 years old, 58bpm. Surprising considering i'm rather fat (5'8, 204lbs).

54 BPM and I haven't exercised in 2 weeks because of the flu or some shit. Being sick is good for losing weight though since I lost like 7 lbs in the span of 5 days.
Your resting HR is ideally taken first thing in the morning.
>>43294015 seconds is too small of a sample, you should do at least 30.I'm 25 years old with a resting heart rate of 64 which is "Good."
I am a very competitive varsity track athlete and mine rests around 90 (I'm 19)...am i going to die?

I just quit smoking and my resting heart rate lowered by 10 bpm in a month to 68 bpm.
I'm 18 and counted 48 in a full minute (twice). I'm a little surprised. This is my week off between XC and indoor track and I've been eating junk since Saturday.
Mines 102, is this normal? Also, I just finished fapping like 10 minutes ago.
>>433679Why would a week of junk food make your RHR go up? Is it poisonous?
I hope not. It's just that I already feel out of shape. I hope I won't be too rusty by next week.
Just took mine over 60 seconds to be a slightly more accurate and got 45bpm.22yoEngages in Regular Strenuous Exercise
