RDA for sugar Anonymous
So I understand that there is no RDA for sugar, but essentially they recommend about 40 grams. This, to me however, seems impossible.

Fruits are a very important part of eating, but they are high in sugar. Pretty much eating an apple and banana is about 35 grams. So if what I'm hearing is correct, these two fruits would be your only sugar intake for the day.

So I ask you /fit/ do things such as fruit count when they say 40 g/day?
Or is it just added sugars?

What do they mean when they say 40 g/day?

What? Sugar is a carbohydrate- Sucrose, Dextrose, Fructose, Glucose, etc etc are all just sugars.

Sucrose aint good for you. Eat fruits and veggies it aint that hard.

there's sugar in bread, allll drinks other than coffee, and lots of other places.
why would you specifically need sugar when sugar is just a carbohydrate in a different form? something special about sugar?

it's not really that, it's more of how much you're allowed. You don't need extra sugar, just how much is too much?

For instance, everyday I eat:

1 tsp of raw sugar (for OATZ)
1 banana in the morning
1 bundle of grapes
1 apple

is this too much sugar for one day?
