So /fit/, I'm trying to lose body fat by doing cardio and keeping a good diet. Regarding meats, the most I've been eating is sea food...fish, shrimp, etc. That good? Or should I take on chicken as well? Also, not that I'm doing a low-carb diet, but should I also avoid carb-happy foods like potato, rice and such?

you've got a pretty good grasp of it.

i'd add some chicken for variety but it's up to you. remember to go light on the sauces for the meats, there's loads of hidden calories inside.

my only other advice is: be patient. weight loss in a controlled, safe manner (which is what you're doing) will take some time, but the results (better physique, self image; no loose skin) are worth it.

Once your body adapts to steady running cycle it off with some intense sprint sets and it will boost your metabolism again (then you cycle it off again with steady running, if you like it). You can survive and thrive only on fish, salmon, watevar.

Most awesome. Thanks.

Also, I've been drinking a lot of water... Should I avoid soft drinks like diet sodas (I tend to like Coke Zero...) and soda-flavored water and the likes?

Caffeine dehydrates you and diet sodas are full of artificial garbage that will slow you down in one way or another. You can do whatever in moderation with success just don't over do it. I know people who run seven miles and grab a Monster full of sugar, it's how they work. You are just starting out so trying to stay as pure as possible is always good but you can certainly moderately drink your favorite drinks or substitute with flavored water (artificial colors are still bullshit but hey, roll with it). I like vitamin water xD.

If you start drinking vitamin water often buy the big cases in a bulk store. It will save you a lot of money.

Ok, thanks. I'm kind of stuck at a plateau... 5'9-5'10, 149lbs. I'm sloooowly going down... Have some body fat left. I know it's only a number, but I'm trying to get down to 140lbs. Low-carb diet just wasn't the thing for me... It's simply too hard for me, heh.

I have another question... When I look at the nutrition label on a product and it says "Calories from Fat"...what does that mean? Is it actual fat, or what?

Each gram of fat is 9 calories. Multiply. That's basically what the label is showing you, more clearly, for legal reasons. Yes it's fat--unsaturated is best, stay away from saturated.
