Hey /fit/, what's your take on chankonabe?

Shit sounds good for bulking up. Personally, I don't like Japanese fatheads but if I ever drop by Asia again I'll give this a try.

Can't be worse than eating snakes and dogs, which by the way are very tasty.

OKACHOBE?!?!!???!?!?!?!!!!

If I understand it right, it's just a broth with some kind of protein source (chicken, fish, beef) with random vegetables, shrooms and tofu thrown in, right?

Sounds tasty from the looks of it.

It's probably delicious.

Other than that, why would you bring it up on /fit/? It's a food custom-designed to help skinny people become morbidly obese.

Because it seems like it'd be a pretty good choice for a healthy meal. Sumo wrestlers get so fat from this because they neat huge servings only twice per day or so, along with tons of rice and beer. In smaller servings throughout the day, it seems like chankonabe could be a great source of nutrition.
