i must be an idiot those didn't work last time. held them for 30 seconds each leg each pose and some others. they seemed painful to stretch. like pulling elastics to the maximum and holding. hurts. I think I have super tight leg muscles or something. maybe it's due to cycling all the time.

when you are pushing the weigh back up to a standing position do not fully extend to a standing position. you should have a slight bend in your legs at the top of the repetition

It's not really stretching you need. Locking the knee is usually because your quads aren't strong enough to sustain that weight while squatting, try downing the weight a bit, or try hitting th leg press to get some extra strengthening into those legs.

i think my quads are fine. i think i should elaborate on what i mean by lock. sometimes, during squatting i feel like my leg muscles are going to snap or break unless i immediately bounce back up. i know normally not to do this, and stretched shit lots afterwards to fix it, but still sucked that day. i never get that "locked?" feeling in my upper body, but it's quite normal for my lower body. i.e. legs. that's why i think i'm stretching retardedly.

Don't lock your legs when you come up. facepalm.jpg
But seriously. don't extend your knees all the way.
>> Anonymous
>>254453
This. Knees should NOT extend past your feet when squatting.

I never do. of course not. i mean at the bottom. please read

Make sure your also stretching your quads as shown earlier. You should be doing it before each time you squat. If it's not helping, I'd stick with my earlier statement to strengthen them a little more with other exercises, such as the leg press

That's tension. "Locking" is almost exclusively used to refer to joints, not muscles.

You're going low and the muscle is being stretched as far as it can go. Over time it will go away as the muscle stretches. Dont force it. Maybe dont go down as far in the mean time.

thank u. i knew i was saying something wrong. i blame the hot sun earlier.

you need to bench more and do more shoulder stuff. You are just squating too much and you can't handle that weight.

"Benching and Shoulder stuff" doesn't have shit to do with his legs, does it?
