Sup /fit/, I just got Wii Fit so I can shed some pounds and build up my muscle but I have a few questions. When doing Yoga is the tree pose really necessary? I find it to hard to do and lose balance frequently. Also, I can't really keep up with basic jogging what other excersizes on Wii Fit can I do to substitute for that. Thanks to all who'll help.

Protip: Wii fit doesn't really do anything, it just makes you think you're exercising so they can sell their shitty product.

Yoga fails it wont help you lose weight at all, its just streching. Just do more push-ups.

Get some weights do squats instead works more then a squat with no weights.

Run on the spot on wii fit or go outside and start slow.

Btw your lose weight with anything while making a calorie deffecet.

Yoga does not fail and is not just stretching you moron. It builds strength and improves flexibility (which improves range of motion), it's not the best way to lose weight but it's a great for other things.

Don't listen to these faggots, wii fit can be a good exercise. Here's what I do (I'm a chick, so you might need heavier weights than I use):

Monday: upper body
Tuesday: cardio
Wednesday: lower body
Thursday: cardio
Friday: upper body
Saturday: cardio

Monday: lower body
Tuesday: cardio
Wednesday: upper body
Thursday: cardio
Friday: lower body
Saturday: cardio

upper body: I put it on tricep extension, pick up my 15 lb weights and do:
20 curlz
20 shoulder presses
10 tricep extensions
10 dumbbell rows
I loop through that 3 times (I've found doing it along with wii fit keeps me going at a steady pace, rather than jerky movements.)

Cardio:
hula hoop, 10 minutes (Don't laugh! Shoot for 2000 loops each way.)
advanced step
hula hoop, 10 minutes again.

Lowerbody:
6 twists
20 lunges
20 crunches (on the jackknife setting)
30 squatz w/ 15 pound weight on each shoulder
again, loop through 3 times.

I also do 15 minutes of yoga every morning. You can skip the tree pose for now; when your legs get stronger you'll find it's easier. Also, when you're watching tv, reading, or whatever, put it on free step, 30 minutes, and get some light cardio instead of sitting on your ass.

Good luck!

search Rodney Yee

watch him support his body weight while fully outstretched , like doing a push up without his feet touching, headstands in a lotus position, amongst other things defying gravity. Also, check his muscles, he does yoga and is a vegetarian.
