Alright /fit/

At the suggestion of most I went out and bought some new clothes.

Guys, if you're in the process of losing weight, go out and do this. Nothing feels better than buying some clothes that you couldn't fit into before. I'm telling you, I almost went ape shit in the mall when I found out I could finally fit into a medium. I haven't been there since middle school, maybe even less. I think it was around the sixth or fifth grade that I went to a large sized shirt.

Anyways, pic related, it's me finally feeling good.
>> Anonymous
Not the best choice of clothes, but then again, this isn't /fit/. Also, chose a better lighting next time, we can barely see you.

Otherwise, congratz on the reduction, even though you suck at now and then pictures, one can see you did improve much.

congrats

WoW yer fat lols!

I'm terrible at taking pictures.

I know that clothes aren't really a thing for fit, but for me, they kind of are. Wearing all of my larger stuff really just makes you sort of not mind putting on a few pounds again because you can grow into it. Now it's like I have to keep it off because I don't want to grow out of these clothes. Plus, I like how I look in the mirror finally.

On a side note, I'm working on a really constricted budget so I figured Steve and Barry's is great for clothes and such. Are there any other cheap as hell stores out there for clothes?
>> Anonymous
>>457518

Dually noted. When I get down to my final goal I'm taking my friend's wife shopping, giving her 500$ and having her dress me.

My idea of great clothes in my camos (absolutely love them, even after the military) and then a shirt that fits.

It's weird having people attracted to me now. I've been doing my fair share of fucking, but still getting used having women come up to me. It's like a life switch. Never thought I could lose this much back when I was that big.

Get some fuckin hollister jeans and affliction t shirts. That's the best way to show how badass you are. They make those shirts so you appear to be in even better shape. Good luck, brah

lol they're all tapered and shit to accentuate a narrow hip and wider shoulder. gives you that nice v shape even if you are a fat fuck.

bro, don't dress like a douche bag. wear normal clothes, don'tl ook like you're TRYING to dress up, which (no offense) it looks like you are. i was like that too when i lost alot of weight. i went out and i bought all the hot shit i could find and ended up looking like the douchey cocky kid out of a teen movie.
>> Anonymous
>>457564
yes. It seems like when all these people get into shape they wear faggy trendy clothes and become douchebags, when i reach my goal im not going to wear gay ass clothes just to be cool, i suppose people do it to look hot but some of us arn't faggots and can wear what we want.

>>457663
you really think camo is trendy?
>> Anonymous
Fuck that shit, I've lost 55 pounds and I'm at 245(6'1). When I'm at 185 or whatever, I'm going to keep my clothes and still wear them. Screw new clothes. I just hope I don't come off as a gangster or whatever.

>>457663

I bought my stuff from Steve and Barry's. It was 5$. On sale. Have absolutely no fashion sense but it fits.

>>457683

I don't know if camo is trendy or not. I was in the military and I just love seeing myself in them. Reminds me of everything I went through over there.

>>457742

Thank you very much. I've been biking every day and then running for the past 2 weeks to finish off. I've still got some toning to do but for now, I think I've come a long way.

>>457752

Actually no, which surprised the hell out of everyone. Including me. I guess it's because I did cardio and not anything else, although I can't be certain. I also didn't cut out everything good, which gave me some time for my body to adjust.

>>457768

I did it in two spurts. I went from 280 to 230 in about 5 months. Then I was in the military and stayed that weight for a long time. Then I got out and lost the rest because the stress level was way down. To lose down to 185 it only took me 2 months.

I biked every day for about 2 hours. Instead of driving ANYWHERE I biked. I have a really cool backpack that I used when I went to buy my groceries and other stuff. I'd bike to friends' houses and such.

Also, big thing, get a good bike seat if you're going to do this. My bike seat cost me 50$ but it is more comfortable than most chairs. It has shocks on it and is extremely cushioned. I've ridding it for 7 hours at a time without stopping before.

I like to leave my sexuality out of this because it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. I really don't mind that you've brought it up but why should it matter that I'm gay or not?

I go to the 7chan boards because I don't have any friends who are gay. I work out and the majority of homosexuals I meet aren't looking for the workouts I enjoy.

>>458007

You're still a fucking homo

Wow OP, I guess the myth of all gay guys having a sense of style is wrong. Anyway if your looking for cheap ass nice clothes go to your local good will/thrift shop. They sell really nice shirts NOT T-SHIRTS and shit for like 1$. And thanks for reminding me OP, i gotta buy new jeans cause fuck my current jeans are literally falling down. Also question, should I buy jeans if I still plan on losing more? (30-40 lbs)

>>458044

Thanks. Really. So kind of you to chime in here. I work out, I'm trying to better my looks; who the hell cares about who I date?

>>458056

I would suggest buying pants that fit a bit too snugly. They still fit, but they're a bit tight. When I was down to a size 38 I got a few pairs of work pants that were size 36. Every week or so I'd try em on and when they finally fit, I had great pants to wear for work. It was also a good gauge to see when I'd get down to the size I wanted to be.

Oh and I know I have absolutely no style. That's why I have women do my shopping for me. Otherwise I tend to end up with a lot of stuff like the above picture. I just wanted a few shirts now that felt good because they were mediums.

Thank to everyone who said good job.

>>458216

Since I don't like to disclose my sexuality, because it truly has nothing to do with this thread, I use women and ladies the same way as I do at work so my sexuality does not become the target of the conversation. However, since it has come into context here, I don't mind admitting that I'm gay.

>>458241

Excellent job losing weight.
Anyways, I'm pretty much done for the night. I went to the gym earlier, hence the lack of posting. I'll hang around for a few more and then I'm out.

Eating wise: I just kept my calories to under 2000 a day. Usually I'd end up around 1700 but my target was always 1500. I'd eat a bowl of cereal in the morning, or two if I was extremely hungry. Use a smaller bowl, that way you don't eat as much. Skim milk too.

For lunch I would eat a frozen dinner. Usually Michelina's or Authentico. They're 99 cents at Wal-Mart. They're around 250-300 calories usually. To accent that with some taste I'd get some baked chips that's about 150-200 calories a bag.

For dinner, I'd come home from work and eat some low calorie applesauce, some Turkey Dogs that are 40 calories a piece. I'd wrap them in low calorie (35-calorie a slice bread) bread and put on some ketchup and mustard. I'd also eat some low calorie tunafish or get the pre-made tuna packets.

I also love the 100 calorie packs. I know a lot of /mis/fits will say that the sodium in here is a lot, and I know it is, but if you drink a lot of water and work out, you're fine.

>>458287

also, besides the bicycle, what other activities did you do?
>> Anonymous
>>458287
you're a smart man. like it.
>> Anonymous
>>458284

I'm 5'11" 283 pounds as of tonight.

>>458272

Instead of driving anywhere, I biked. I would bike to work (10 miles away) bike to my parents house (12-14 miles away depending on what route I took) and then bike to my friends' houses, grocery stores, everywhere. I know it's cold now, but you can still bike as long as it isn't snowing out. Just bundle up a whole lot.

Right now, I have a really good friend who is training for the military so I've been running with him 3-4 times a week then walking everywhere else. Yea, I can't walk to work and to my parents house, but I can walk to the grocery store and to restaurants and stuff.

ITT: lulzworthy homophobia.

Fuck the idiots, OP. You're more of a man than they'll ever be. Keep up the good work, bro.
>> Anonymous
>>458289

Right now, what's helping me tone up (and lose the final few pounds) are just a medley of small cardio activities.

Try running, jogging, or even a fast pace walk for 10 minutes. Then do 50 jumping jacks, then 10 push ups, then 25 sit ups, then 5 8-count body builders (look them up, they're amazing), then do the one side sit-ups 25 of those, switch sides, 20 leg lifts on each leg, back to jumping jacks.

You do that for 20-30 minutes you'll have a complete work-out. Gets you all the cardio you need and your body will start melting away the fat. It's hard at first but as you g on, try increasing the running or the exercises.

>> Anonymous
>>458296

Thanks man. I didn't want to cause controversy or anything.

I believe in the good in everyone; that everyone can do whatever they want to as long as they put their mind to it. That's why every night I head down to my friend's house every night. I know he can lose the weight he needs to before he joins. I know anyone who wants to can lose the way here, they just need a bit of motivation.

I spent like 10 years of my life saying that I could never lose the weight and that I could never look the way I wanted to; blaming it on everyone else. A good friend of mine finally got me off of my ass and basically bet me that I couldn't lose 20 pounds. After that kick start it was amazing. I just kept on going. I know it sounds stupid but it kind of gave me a whole new outlook on life. If I have the dedication to lose 95 pounds, what's stopping me from going to college or going out and getting back in the dating world?

There isn't anything stopping me. And there isn't anything stopping anyone here either. All people need is the right motivation. I know I was motivated like hell whenever I saw people that had lost a lot of weight. So I guess I hope that even one person sees this and just starts walking, or biking, or dieting.

yeah, exactly. i had a similar loss and agree with everything you say. its one of the best confidence boosters ever and the really great thing is because you approached it with the right attitude you now a) know more about yourself and what you're capalbe of, b) will keep it off for life, and c) all those health problems you might have had are now gone. you just bought yourself maybe not a longer life but certainly a healthier and happier one. it's cool. help other people do the same.
