Ok, I've posted in several topics, but nobody seems to give me a clear answer. Plateauing apparently means adaptation. So, what do I do? How do change my diet around so my metabolism stops this bullshit? pic somewhat related, I introduced delicious oatmeal into my diet last week.

pretty sure it means eating less and working out harder/longer

I've upped my calories from my starvation mode up to 1200 calories, and I do an hour of running a day, have been doing so since January. I was doing well, but in late March and in a lot of April, my weight's been pretty much stuck.

Basically the same idea as getting around a weight lifting plateau. Try "confusing" your metabolism. Instead of eating the same number of calories daily, do this: calculate the number of calories you eat weekly, and fluctuate your daily calorie intake. Also fluctuate what you are eating while staying within the boundaries of your calorie intake plans. As far as exercise, play around with your routine instead of doing the same stuff in the gym every day. Maybe get into a sport if that's an option. If not, then do different exercises.

So, eat a lot one day and less another? Sounds hard, man. What about eating different amounts during different meals? Like, for breakfast, I usually have oatmeal and cereal or eggs and toast. Could I just have oatmeal, and then have something of the equivalent calories added to dinner? Then again, that may be too much for dinner...

Oh? I ate the same and did same exercise, and lost nothing. I decide to take people's advice here and eat more, and still, nothing.

I was stuck at 180 pounds for about a month.

Injured my ankle, begain doing cardio again after 2 weeks and then shifted 5 pounds over the last 2 weeks.

Could just be a fluke though

You're either doing something wrong, taking in calories unknowingly or miscalculating. I dieted hard for 6 months before and never plataeud, I didn't use any weird supplements or diet pills and I have a completely average metabolism. Be super strict and take a step back to get a good look at how much you're eating, what you're eating and how much you actually need to eat. If you seriously think you've hit some starvation mode nonsense then stop dieting for a week and start again.

Yes, I'm sure I'm not getting in calories from something... Unless you count adding calories at all anything.

OP, I don't know what your exercise routine is like, but you might try some HIIT. Not because it's 'intense' or because you're a pathetic faggot if you don't, but because this kind of training is reputed to boost your basal metabolic rate.

If you can elevate your BMR, you'll be burning more calories at rest (and literally while you sleep). Combine that with regular low-intensity cardio, and you should be back on track.

I still have yet to get actually more advice :(
