two questions /fit/:

first off, it feels like I pulled something in my shoulder. I think I may have strained my trapezius and possibly the tendon connecting it to my shoulder. I've been icing it, but any suggestions as to what else I should do or NOT do to help it? should I avoid things like deadlifts, military presses, shrugs, etc? also, my left knee is aching (this is a recurrent problem that generally goes away in a few days). should I put off squats until the knee is better too?

second, I've scheduled my cutting period to begin in october. I know my diet will have to be restricted, but how should my workout be affected? should I still push to move greater loads or focus on volume to achieve greater hypertrophy? I'm still kind of skinny as I only started lifting in june and getting bigger is a personal goal so I want to know how to go about it.

if youre atm doing lets say 4x4-8 with most exercises u can switch them to 3x8-12 so u'll use lighter weight but longer muscle under pressure time
