I spend too much time on the computer, so I'm weak like a little girl. So I've been doing pushups each day since I'm poor and have no fitness equipment. I'm above 30 now, which seems decent/average? I'm a newfag at this so I don't know.

What else can I do?

How poor are you? Can't get a gym membership?

Because pushups won't really do that much for your strength..

Strength is in few reps many sets, perhaps if you put some weights on your back?? and do many sets of pushups???

I don't know, just get a fucking gym membership

Very proud, my man. You don't need anything fancy.

A lot of new people seem to really like the ideas on ww.simplefit.org . It has a lot of good ideas for body weight exercises.

I don't remember the site, but google "shovel glove." You can get a pretty good workout with a sledgehammer wrapped in an old sweater.

Other than that. Just get creative. Do things that are difficult. Lift things that are heavy. Do things to get your heart rate up.

Thats step 1. People get really anal about exactly what they eat, and the perfect exercises, and a million other things--- But step 1 is just doing anything.

What kind of physique do you have now? What is it you're aiming to achieve?

It's difficult to say a decent amount of pushups as it's relative to bodyweight. A friend who's an incredibly athletic runner can't do pushups beyond twenty. Another who struggles with most things physical can do just over that. If you're looking for more to do with no equipment I'd recommend looking up more calinsthetics. In particular pullups and burpees.

OP I'm also on a budget and do what I can at home. Key is to be creative. Look for heavy things to lift. Is there something close to you that can support your weight enough to do pull/chin ups? Mix up your push ups by doing them with your hands spread out besides the standard push ups.

Maximum till you break form / 3 and do that 5 times with intervals of 3 minutes. Do it twice per day and it'll go up. Also add squatz for the hell of it, and burpees.
