Easiest thing to do. Drink lots of water and 6 or 7 small meals a day. Get that metabolism boosting.

Just don't expect to lose weight really fast. Devote some time to this and don't burn yourself out trying to lose weight as quickly as possible.

If it were that easy, everyone would be skinny.

Just eat healthy food that covers your need and cut back on candy and beer (not saying alcohole is good for you, but beer can make you fat if you drink it a lot). And dont do roids, its just pathetic to START by using roids. With your bodyfat you dont need to take any protein shake either, but if you really want to then its your money.

I am in the same boat as you op. My starting weight when I got tired of being jelly rolls was 192. It's been about 4 months now and I'm down to 168. What I did was eat a lot of meals (in truth I was trying to gain muscle but because I did not enough coupled with exercise just lost weight. Now I'm trying to eat a ton more and lift to gain ti all back but in muscle form instead of flab. Skinny fat here is with you.

my honest opinion is that you should burn about 10 pounds of that fat. do some cardio and keep your calories low (not exactly the healthiest but for the time being you'll be fine)

now that you've lost that 10 pounds of fat, start lifting HEAVILY and take in 500 calories more than you burn each day, with a diet consisting of at least 150 grams of protein a day

I did this:
I cutout soda, fast food, chips and candy
I drank plenty of water ever day.
I weight lifted every other day and occasionally ran on the days between the weight lifting
I did not eat properly (I ate very little) so instead of maintaining my weight and gaining muscle I gained a bit of muscle and dropped weight.

I missed it so very very much. For the past 20 years I've eaten fast food and crap, ate tons of candy and my water was basically soda. I had no physical activity before I finally decided i was a fat fuck and went to change it.
