Much hype is created around what women in Hollywood have to go through physically and mentally to achieve the bodies they do. For example, starving themselves for days, constantly being hungry and bitchy ect ect.

While watching the body building dudes in the gym, I have noticed a lot of them seem really stressed out and in pain.

What kinds of things do you have to experience to get a huge body? What is it like to pummel 3000+ calories of protein in to your body every day? What does it feel like to have your muscles constantly repairing themselves? Can you get a huge body without going through significant amounts of pain for a significant amount of time?

Nothing comes easy. No pain, no gain. Faggot.

Protip: Actors that don't get buff enough for a movie just get body makeup to make them look bigger.

Even the guys in 300 had body makeup (esp. David Wenham) to make them look more built than they actually are.

The whole industry of Hollywood is illusion, how actors look is no different.

OP here - I am a female with zero interest in building a huge body.

I am relatively fit myself and can definitely relate to the pain involved in reaching this state. Despite this, I understand that being fit has little to do with being huge.

Are you trying to say that the majority of Hollywood actresses aren't skinny bitches?
>> Anonymous

They aren't as attractive in real life as they are on screen. Big = beautiful, hollywood is not, but the perception of all actresses as super skinny and hot is... deceptive.

It has been said body builders, whether they're increasing significant mass or decreasing, have the worst kinds of eating disorders. Not anorexia or something, but there are many unnamed ED's. I think the one that has a name that fits it the most is orthorexia. It's hard to explain, and pretty useless here in /fit/, mainly because nobody in /fit/ is actually a body builder in any sense. It's mostly just skinny faggots who have never really cut before offering their shitty advice to people who want to lose fat, and who are attempting but failing to gain mass. It's also other stuff, but in one word, it's just shit.

I take six varying shakes every day, all of which taste disgusting, and choke down over 5000 calories per day (the part I actually enjoy). Then, in the gym, it's a wall of pain. Today, I vomitted twice at the gym because of my pre-workout Nitric Oxide/Vasodilator I take.

With so many god damn whey flavors out there, how can they taste bad? Honestly, even the simplest 100% whey vanilla is tasty to me.

For one, the shakes that taste terrible are not whey. Creatines, and the like, etc...

Creatine in it's pure form is tasteless, just kind of chalky. Seriously though, I don't know why people spend so much on these designer supplements when simple, pharmaceutical grade creatine monohydrate and a little caffeine work just as well.

The greatest feeling you can get in a gym or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is the pump.
Let's say you train your biceps, blood is rushing in to your muscles and that's what we
call the pump. Your muscles get a really tight feeling like your skin is going to explode any
minute and its really tight and its like someone is blowing air into your muscle and it just blows up and it feels different, it feels fantastic. It's as satisfying to me as cumming is, you know, as in having sex with a woman and cumming. So can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym, I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home, I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage, when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. Its terrific, right? So I am in heaven.

A little truth and a little BS. I don't train for the pump, but when I do get it, it feels a bit satisfying like an erection... but not a full-scale ejaculation...

feels good, man

>What is it like to pummel 3000+ calories of protein in to your body every day?

Relatively easy; just eat five meals a day and then it becomes like regular snacking. I'm not fond of the Whey shakes but after a while you learn how to chug them without tasting them.

>Can you get a huge body without going through significant amounts of pain for a significant amount of time?

Pain is a relative term; yeah it's uncomfortable pushing for that last rep or your max but so what? It's honestly pretty low on the pain scale. I honestly think blood tests hurt more then pushing your max. It's actually pretty fun and exciting to try and will yourself to push through that set that pushes your max up another notch. I will never forget the first time I squatted 300; I was doing all that grunting shit. It was HARD but not painful.

Yes and no.many do ave personal trainers and others are in great shape. Christian Bale was told to LOSE MASS before Batman Begins started filming. Most who need to look buff who are not ordinarily muscular do work with a Personal Trainer. The common formula is to add enough mass to look big, then lean the guy out well under 10% body fat. As we all have six pack fundamentally this makes the guy look a lot stronger then he really is. Others, like the Rock sell their image on their physique so they're in shape perpetually. Directors tend to mandate a 210lb lean body weight by shooting which means you can't go too far out of shape. That's a far cry from 300's CGI though you still have to work for it.
