ITT: Personal Achievements

Post your achievements in regards to losing weight, gaining muscle, being able to run that extra mile, etc.

So I've been running 3-4 miles a day for the past few weeks. I'm still kinda chubby, but was told by a friend who is a black belt that it would take time for my muscle to catch up and slim down. I hadn't really noticed myself slimming down at all but today I went to put on my favourite shirt, and it was too big on me.

It made me a little happier today.

Control my pain in my various painful muscles, by increasing muscle strength. Pain tolerance is increased by having stronger, better muscles.

Pain not all gone, but under much better control. Before was "out of control", no idea when pain would hit, probably just "always" paranoid.

My goal is to climb trees. For these next two months I'm working out my upper bod like mad, traps, rhomboids, pecs too. At the moment I can't really do even 2 pullups in a row.

I've lost about 25 lb since late January. I don't feel like I've lost that much, though.

No offense, but that's a weird fucking goal. Did you miss out on tree climbing when you were a kid?

Depending on how over protective his parents might have been he might have missed out. I did a little bit of tree climbing when I was younger but because of said over protective parents I never got to do a lot of it.

Now I want to climb trees.

True, it's definitely my favorite thing to do outside in trees.

I guess maybe I just quit climbing trees because I outgrew them. When I was a little kid I'd be waving around on a skinny branch way up in the air, but I can't do that any more.

I was knocked around by galandular fever and wasn't physically or mentally capable of working out for 6 months. Shit sucked
However since then (about a year of progress) I've managed to get my shit back together and am not in the best shape I've ever been.
Pic realted, this might not be much to some people out there but I've never felt so great about myself before in my life.

And it's only uphill from here. I love life right now.

Same story like OP, but opposite.

Put some weight on, gained some muscles but never realized it.
Last week I wanted to wear my old T-Shirt, it didn't fit well. Too tight! :)
