Are the Kinoki Footpads worth anything? I saw that stupid commercial a few weeks ago and my interest was peaked. But does it really do anything more than a shower and washing of the feet in the morning and a cup of green tea?

It's piqued, not peaked

Personally after reading this; "Using the natural cleansing power of double distilled bamboo vinegar, Kinoki captures toxins eliminated by your body, cleansing and detoxifying your skin’s outer layers. You’ll see results right away!"

It honestly just sounds like you just put the pad on to see all the toxins, not that it really does anything to help detox you more.

considering it's based on "ancient japanese reflexology",

no.

There's no possible way these would work. Osmosis does not exactly work with skin. I'd imagine that the moisture you sweat out activates something in the pad to turn it dark.

It is so you can see how dirty your feet really are.

According to their commercials, it gets lighter and lighter each night as you "detox", so it's probably just pulling the dirt and grease off of your feet, like those strips you can put on your face to clean it.

It's a scam. If you wrap your feet up at night in thin white cloth you will filth it up. This crazy japanese detox shit is made up.
The scamsters just wanted another excuse to sell us "ions"...
...madness.
