I'm not fat, but I'm out of shape (I have a chubby belly).

As a result I appear skinny but my I pretty flabby when I take off my shirt. I have 2 lines on my chest that make my belly look fatter than it actually, the first is around 2 inches below the nipples and the second one is another two inches below that. These lines mark where my loose belly fat folds over on itself when I slouch or basically relax, and they've been there for so long that they've pretty much become permanent. Sometimes they appear red (if you have trouble visualizing them, they look exactly like the wrinkles/life line on the palm).

Does running/weight training get rid of them? Are there specific exercises that get rid of them?

Also, I have stretch marks on the sides of my buttocks. Is there a natural way to get rid of those?

>Will running burn away my leg muscles?
Not if you're eating enough, and working out your leg muscles.

I don't see how running could "burn away" your muscle. It'd burn away fat, but muscle? No.

Want muscle to go away, then stop working that particular area.

Thanks for the help.

Cardio, Crunches, Burpees, Squats and Pushups it is.

I just read here somewhere about how running is catabolic and might burn muscle as easily as fat, but I guess it was the wrong assumption.

no, it's true, extensive cardio can be catabolic, that's why those long distance runners all look like mummies.
Anyway, as long as you eat enough protein and exaggerate it with the cardio, you won't have problems.

Sound's like you're skinnyfat.

Yo get the benefit of looking good with clothing, but at the cost of looking like a snowman when naked.

Long duration cardio burns away muscle.

People need to realize that walking/jogging/running for a straight hour or more is not good.
