Stretch marks:

They are permanent, right? No way to get rid of them at all?
>> Anonymous
Think that they are permanent.

I hate that my skin is not pure.
This disgusts me.
>> Anonymous
bump
my gf has too and she wanna know how to get rid of it
>> Anonymous
Bummer, isn't it? My butt looks like the picture. I wish it didn't. I have some on my love-handles too. I think when they are just a few big stretch marks, you can probably get some kind of plastic surgery done, but it's probably not worth it, and you would end up with scars that look similar anyhow.
>> Anonymous
I think I googled this sort of thing a while back, and the only advise was something like "rub vitamin E on your skin" or something like that. I would think there would be some way of getting rid of them, I mean, you are growing new skin all the time, but I guess there isn't, really.

Eh, when your body is full of them like mine.. then complain. Started using Palmer's Stretch Mark Cream and taking Vitamin E oil baths last week. I doubt it'll get rid of the ones already there, but I'm just trying to prevent more from coming. Also, dermatologist appointment on Tuesday... maybe she can give me something or point me in the right direction surgery wise.
>> Anonymous
They are permanent, although they fade over time.

To prevent them make sure you have adequate Vitamin E in your diet and moisturize every day.

Maybe in your next life you won't stuff your face with food again, bitch.

on the flip side, does anyone have them from getting huge? first to go was the area between my right pec and anterior delt, now the left side starting to go, at first i thought it was a rash starting, now one's about 4 inches long and the other is just under an inch.

I had them on my lower gut, hips, and arms from losing over 100 lbs. They got slightly worse from getting into weight lifting (properly) and suddenly gaining muscle.

If you're in great shape, noone's really going to care. I just tell people I got them from wrestling with Great White Sharks in Hawaii or my part-time job as an undercover diamond smuggler in Sierra Leone. They're about as bad as 122922's, but over the course of over a year or two, they've faded a little bit. Putting muscle on in the stretched areas helps too. I've asked a few dermatologists, and there's really nothing they can do short of you spending several thousand dollars for laser treatment over several months for little or no results.

tl;dr, they're permanent, but fade a little over time. But there's other more important things to worry about regarding aesthetics.
>> Anonymous
Topical Vitamin E does not penetrate the deepest layers of the dermis anyway.

And besides, Vitamin E isn't magic: stretch marks are destroyed skin. That part of your dermis is just gone... ruined. No cream is going to fix it. Laser therapy can stimulate a bit of collagen growth, but the improvement is so minimal it's not worth it at all.

Just learn to live with them, and know that you still look great with a shirt on.
>> Anonymous
>>122895
If it isn't horrifically bad, ask your average Dermatologist if they know something about acid baths. It might sound, well, retarded, but its what I did and they're NOTICEABLY more faded than what they were.
>> Anonymous
GUY WHO'S STRETCH MARKS JUST WENT AWAY here.

They take forever.
Mine took more than a year or so.
But they do eventually go away.
>> Anonymous
>>122956

Fuck you. Not everyone who have stretch marks are fat you know!

I have it on my ass, thighs and at the back of my knees... it's because of these stretch marks that I can't wear shorts or have sex. Is vitamin E the way to go then? Because I'm in a tropical country and all they have here is sunny or rainy.
>> Anonymous
>>or have sex

Turn out the lights.

My uninformed advice would be to rub with a soft sandpaper like that used to remove arm and leg hair. Also depending on your age the marks will fade with age like shallow scars do. Im young and ive had many scars that only lasted 2-3 years. I assume that stretch marks are the same... i have nasty ones on my back... want pics lol....

Lack of self-esteem is your problem, not stretch marks.
>> Anonymous
>>123625
But to be fair though, you wouldn't have self-esteem if you've had that many stretch marks too you know. Especially if that anon is a girl. Would any guy even think of fucking a girl with stretchmarks all over her body? I doubt even a lesbian would.
>> Anonymous
>>123682

I bet 9/10ths of 4chan's members would, considering they're mainly virgins and would fuck anything.
>> Anonymous
>>123615
THANKS GOD ;_;
>> Anonymous
>>123682
They're not that bad. I highly doubt everyone is going to be so disgusted by them that no one will ever sleep with her. And it's people who say shit like that that are part of the reason for her lack of self-esteem. Not that you care.
>> Anonymous
Mine showed up before I became a fatass, a good 3 years before I just started sitting around doing nothing.
>> Anonymous
>>123691

yep I wouldn't. that makes me think about it... would a girl like another girl even if they have stretch marks on them? just a random question that popped in my twisted head.

maybe i've been watching too much lesbian porn lately...

Meh, I don't know. I got a few strech marks over my biceps, shoulders, and one long one from the upper right pec to the lower abs.

Dunno, they look fucking awesome to me.

>>122922

Vertical stretch marks? lolwut

I have them too, had them for maybe 6-8years now. They don't fade away, and I've been underweight all my life as well lolz. Doesn't matter thought, I've gotten used to the idea of dying alone and I'm hardly bothered.
>> Anonymous
Pretty much. You can try to fade them faster/further by applying vitamin E on them, but complete removal by lasers is pretty expensive.
>> Anonymous
I grew 15 cms in 6 months, plus i scar easily.
Never stood a chance.
>> Anonymous
They fade, but remain battle scars.

>>123735
Everybody has stretchmarks, if not now, they will in the near future. Stop being such a faggot!
>> Anonymous
>>123840

True that.
Get a tan if you're so goddamn worried about them.
>> Anonymous
>>123860
I'm tanned and it just shows more because stretch marks ARE WHITE.
>> Anonymous
>>123945

Mine were more pink than white and eventually just blended into my skin.
>> Anonymous
>>123945

Must be your skin tone, my tanned with the rest of my body, barely noticeable.
>> Anonymous

Really short tbh.
>> Anonymous
You can always get a shit-ton of tattoos to cover them up.
>> Anonymous
>>124076

Best idea ever.
>> Anonymous
>>123728

Yup, same here. Mine grew really gradually between the age of 11 and 16 but they're still covered in stretch marks.

Personally I've never even thought of it as a reason for low self-esteem until reading this thread. There's much uglier things to have on your body than a bunch of faint lines.

Scar tissue does not hold ink very well, IIRC
>> Anonymous
Palmers Stretch Mark Cream, as someone already suggested, does help. And they DO fade.

I used to have some pretty big ones along my stomach that you can't even see anymore, and I'm very fair skinned.
>> Anonymous
>>124121

There are some tattoo artists that "specialize" in tattooing over stretchmarks, actually. Regardless, some people's stretchmarks take ink well, and some don't. I guess it's just an individual thing.

>>123618
dude wtf I have stretch marks and I get fucked all the time. It's called self confidence, bitch. Thats the kind of shit that makes men hard.
>> Anonymous
Why the hell would you be ashamed of stretch marks? It's infinitely better than being fat.

I view my stretch marks as a battle scar from a war between me and genetics.

Then again if I was a chick I might be more self-concious about stupid shit.

i'm fat and have stretch marks Q_Q

You know there was a REALLY hot pic of a chick floating around on /b/ for the longest time. She had marks on her ass, but her overall shapes more than made up for it.

Here here

Stretch marks are war wounds, and chicks dig scars

Don't worry, OP. My ex-boyfriend had stretch marks across his back and I didn't mind them. I actually liked them, they were pretty cool and unusual.

I also have stretch marks on my ass and hips (lol puberty), but the buttmarks have significantly faded- you can't even see them anymore if you don't look closely.

I'm currently using this stuff called Bio Oil that's supposed to fade them fast. It's gotten really good reviews. Check it out.

My friend had a boyfriend who gained weight while they were together, and some stretch marks appeared on his stomach.
He told her they were scars from stab wounds he got during a knife fight.
>> Anonymous
fuck i didnt even realize i had stretch marks till i read this thread and checked my self.fuck my self esteem dropped to rock bottom.

Mine went away after about 6 months of keeping weight off. I would recommend palmer's coconut oil. It seemed to help. Also i found getting a tan helped make them less noticeable.

I have stretch marks on my upper quads and in between the biceps and the delts.

got them from working out HARD the first month i went to a gym while i had about 20% BF.

stop obsessing over them. for me, and many others, EVERY body is beautiful as long as it isn't covered in fat. scars, little moles, wrinkes... they're there for a reason and they tell your story.
