Also, just go to a specialty store that has a machine that shows whether your foot pronates/supinates when you walk. Dick's Sporting Goods has one (at least mine does). You CAN do a home test by wetting your foot and walking over a piece of paper, but you'll still need a store that knows what the hell pronate/supinate means, all of which will probably have a machine to check it anyways.
To fix your running posture, try "tip toe" running. It won't necessarily correct your favoring of your right leg, but it will virtually eliminate the impact of running on your feet.
