I've been wondering.
Is weighted pushup superior to bench press?
My 5x5 strenght program says i do bench press for chest, but it's the only exercise you do lying on a bench, it's an unnatural movement. is pushup superior or does it suk dik?

Depends on how much you like your rotator cuffs.

isn't it the same movement though?
Why would it damage your rotator cuffs?

Bench Press isn't an unnatural movements, and it's superior because it brings into use many more parts of the body than push-ups, you can also put more pressure onto your body.

Basically you're wrong, and I don't feel like going into it, if you want more details, read over Starting Strength, it goes into detail about the positives of every compound movement, bench-press included.

It's not the same movement, your shoulders are bearing the load in a different way. A correctly performed bench press is less stressing to your joints than push ups.
