Delicious Food...Sweet sweet food... Anonymous
/fit/, I just got back from the gym (Legs today, plus I walk/jog/run there and back which is a total of 4 miles, I'm fucking beat.) And now I am eating a delicious Tuna on rye with a little spoonful of relish (No mayo, no cheese, bah fuck that.), and a glass of water. I'm curious what you guys like after workouts? Also, I was considering taking my protein - But should I take it after eating this sandwich?

Fuck, rye is god.

nice diet : ) umm...what i suggest is taking your protein with you to the gym, drink it ASAP right after a workout, honestly thats the most important time to drink it..then walk back home so you dont get cramps and eat. most important times to eat after a workout are directly after (preferably protein) and about 45 minute to an hour after. so drink your protien right after, eat a meal (tuna? lol) about 45 minutes after. keep it up.

As the poster above me said, it's ideal to start taking in protein about immediately after, or up to 45 minutes after your workout. Since you jog there and back, it sounds like your workout doesn't quite end until you get home.

There's no reason that I can see why you can't take your protein supplement along with your sandwich. Enjoy.

Also, what diet? lol. Who ruins a perfectly good can of tuna with mayo and cheese?

i actually usually did tuna on wheat, no mayo no cheese, sometimes tomato. 1% milk + whey mixed with water (i didn't mix the whey with the milk cause the whey was in my dorm room and the milk in the dinning hall)

I'm always super careful with "wheat" bread, I'm one of those guys who has to read every bread label in the fucking store before I buy it, if it contains HFCS I don't buy it. This severely limits my bread buying potential.

get the whole grain kind from a bakery

Yeah bread can be very bad unless you get the right kind. Watch out for gluten also. I enjoy a can of very low sodium tuna, and a big bowl of salad, no dressing, no cheese.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just checked the bread I toast every morning and sure enough, HFCS is on the ingredient list. Fucked up.

It's a "scienticion" sounding way of saying sugar. The more syllables a word or phrase has, the more important the speaker thinks he sounds.

Too much sugar is bad for you. However, it really doesn't matter if you get it from HFCS, or organic, free-range honey grown on ethically responsible bee farms. Both contain the same molecules, glucose and fructose. In HFCS, the molecules are separate; in natural sucrose, the molecules are connected, but separate in your stomach.

Why not change what you eat?

tuna is the least healthy meat you can eat, more heavy metals than any other commonly consumed animal cause tuna is a top predator
