Hey /fit/. I have a six-pac when I jump up and down. What would be a realistic goal time-wise to getting a legit one? I don't need to be totally ripped like the guy in my pic; I just posted it to be silly.

It's 3 am dude! I changing my schedule from once or twice a week at the gym to almost every day starting tomorrow. I expect that I will get a six pack by mid to end of november. Is this a realistic goal?

i do 4x100 crunches on incline 45 degrees and the top of my abs are bearly visible (low body fat) i weigh 155 pounds.

now lets say to have good difinition ill have to do 300+ crunches, and that will take me about a year.

so there you have it, if your abs are stronger then mine, then you'll need less time. Also low body fat is nessessary to actualy see them, ones u've trained them enouph.

also my lower abs are quite weak, so i have to really consentrate on those

my trainer didn't recomend that. just do them on an incline and do them VERY slowly, he showed me how to do them not in 2 motions (up/down) but in 4 motions:
1. curl in - as if you are trying to reach your crotch with your face - your back must be really round
2. go down - so that you are parallel to the ground
3. curl out - your back is straight now
4. curl in - back is round again
5. go up
repeat from 2-5 many times :)
the hard part is then during movements 3 and 4, your abs are under constant stress.

while i can do a 100 of regular crunches on incline, i can bearly do 20 of the Advanced ones with good form...

I've been mainly doing the medicine ball passing exercise and a couple variations for my lats on a steep incline, and they feel pretty strong. I think I just need to lose maybe 5 or 10 pounds max to get some nice abs.

Abs are about low body fat %, not about doing ridiculous amounts of sit ups. Doing moderate training of your abs once a week will be fine if you have a low enough body fat %.
