Hey /fit/
I has a question.
If I wear ankle weights when I walk around on a normal day, what exactly will this do for me?
How will it effect my every day life?

- Resistance training.

> How will it effect my everyday life?
- Aside from getting weird looks from everyone, nothing, it'll just make your everyday walking more challenging.

Do NOT use ankle weights. All they'll do is make you hyperextend your legs every time you take a step. You'll be in the hospital with blown knees within a week.

Blow your knees out

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, once I stop using them, will walking or running be less challenging?
Will I run faster?

I used mine (1kg on each) for a couple of days, of course, that wouldn't be enough for some markable results, but it didnt hurt, but I got the feeling that it was heavy, and it got quite lightened as I tok it off at the evening

Yeah gonna to put it on the bar so I can go up by 2.5lb each workout and not 5lb since I tend to fail quite a bit.

Been looking for a adjustiable weight in the UK for a while now.

And to answer your question OP your better of just doing squats, they do help your run times.

What if I were to wear these ankle weights while practicing my punting/kicking.
Would they make my kicks more powerful?

dragonball training:

wear a 50-100 pound turtle shell on your back, and work in a garden.

Don't use any of that shit for walking or long wear. It'll make you walk different and will fuck up your joints.

Try using them when you do leg flutters for your abs.

No. It would have the same effect as constantly benching 20 pounds, and it risks injury on top of that. If you want kicks to be more powerful and running to be easier, well it may sound cliched, but squats. By increasing the max effort your muscles can put out, you will not only be able to kick harder but longer too, as your legs will be used to higher levels of resistance. You need to do something you can only do 1-5 reps of to make maximum strength gains.

These touch on some of what I said.

Forget the ankle weights.

If you want some kind of weight on your just get a weighted vest or wear a backpack full of rocks and strap it tightly to yourself. This way the weight will be on your core and not your joints.
