Serious question here. Do I have to sweat in order to lose weight while doing Cardio? I recently started jogging and can only do it for about 15 minutes the most. I sweat a little but not like I've sweated a pool of it.

I do this everyday.

walk and then jog..break up your jogging with walking and make sure you're in hot environmento r humid you'll sweat more

Nah, the only thing you really lose from sweating is really water weight. If you can only do 15, just try and keep working to go further and/or faster each time and don't over obsess about burning calories

Sweating is indicative of only two things:
1) That you're body is working hard
2) You're losing water weight

You need to be worried about losing body fat instead of being only concerned just about "weight". Some people don't sweat very much while able to lose fat, while others get drenched in sweat everyday and have a hard time burning fat.

It takes about 15 minutes for your body to stop using water and start burning fat. If anything, jog for 15 minutes, then once you've got a good sweat, start power walking, preferably up a hill. Truthfully, walking and biking are better for fat loss.

your outward body temperature means nothing really.

you're going for increased heartrate and(if you get that, this will happen automagically) core body temp.

you need to work longer. Jog until you can't anymore. Walk. Jog until you can't anymore. Repeat for 45 minutes

the body uses evaporation to control temperature. the body must stay in a precise temperature range, a few degrees variance results in death. This is important, to keep it from overheating.

you're just not cooking enough.

I workout every day with some seriously fit dudes. We bust ass for an hour to the point that I couldn't do much more when we're finished. The issue is that I sweat very little.

I'm seriously busting ass, just not sweating much. Diagnose me /fit/.

You just dont sweat alot. People can actually be born with less sweat glands than normal or just have a higher heat tolerence. Your body will sweat if the exterior is hot. It its not hot enough you arent going to sweat.

As I'm simultaneously browsing /k/ and /fit/, you had me seriously confused for a second.

also another thing to keep in mind is that you are constantly sweating(unless super dehydrated, but that's another thing altogether). You may or may not see the sweat, or feel it, but it's there.

i rarely sweat. i just get red when i'm hot (flush). i never need deodorant either. never did.

different folks dump heat in different ways.
