What the bloody hell to eat Anonymous
Alright, so I pretty much have begun to cut off everything bad that I used to eat (Not cold turkey, knowing myself I'll just easily snap back to my old habits, going with gradual at a fast pace to start a new habit of eating well) such as soda, fast food, snack foods like chips/gas station stuff, etc.

Now I'm facing a problem of not having a decent idea of what to eat for lunch. I can control my breakfast and dinner since it's at the start and end of my day but not so much during the afternoon due to the nature of my job (I drive materials to worksites because people can't make accurate estimates.)

Not having an idea of what to make for lunch isn't helping either, so I'm stuck in a situation to where I don't have enough time to run back home nor any idea of what to make before I run off to my job.

So far, my meals look something like:

Breakfast:
Oatmeal
Cereal (Typically corn flakes or cheerios with skim milk)
Serving of plain yogurt with fresh/frozen fruit thrown in

Dinner:
Family's Mexican so it's mainly a side of meat, beans, maybe rice and not surprisingly some sort of hot sauce. I'm cutting down on tortilla consumption to about 2-3 a meal.

For breakfast, I would say oatmeal is best. For lunch, you may want something more filling. For the most part a good sandwich works. have vegetables, and try not to get too many cold cuts. processed meat for the most part isnt good for you. Tuna can work. Chicken. Cut down on cheeses.

i've found that a good cheat meal is a wendy's grilled chicken sammich

high protein, relatively good chicken, nice taste, and really the only problems are possibly high sodium and bad white bread buns

Eh, can always carry a couple of healthy bread slices with me. Might be good to slowly cut down on fast food until I cut it out altogether.

Though, been eating subway a lot lately. Lesser of evils I suppose.

Nope, it's the most deceitful of all, wherein the usual sandwich you order, there is more fat than a freaking BigMac. The chips and soft drinks don't help either.

True story, it was on the news here in Montreal about two years ago.

Pack yourself fruit and meat.

Do you eat corn or flour tortillas at dinner?

If flour, only eat one. Those things are 300-600 calories each depending on size.
