Sleep... how important is it? I'm doing 5x5, more for weight loss than trying to get gigantic at the moment. But I'm busy as hell with school and work and I usually end up staying late preparing /fit/-type food for the next day, and I've been sleeping 4-5 hours a night for the past few weeks...I've still been lifting more as time goes on but I'm wondering how much my results would change with more sleep.
8 hours is the recommended sleep period for the muscles to repair and take in the nutrients you ate that day.
sleep is different for everyone. anyone saying otherwise by giving you recommended numbers is retarded
I get 7 hours and I do 5x5. Maybe you should shoot for 6-7, it'll probably make you feel better anyways.
i try to get at least 6....and preferably 8 or 9 on my days off.
You can keep going on like this, but eventually you're going to burn out. If you sleep more you'll notice the quality of your workouts will improve drastically.
