Anyway, you need to remember that Anorexia can happen suddenly (Ie, someone tells her she is fat, she packs in eating) or gradually (She finds eating less and less makes her better lookin, and decreases the amount of food she's eating to nearly zero), so there may not be a certain "time" she started. Also, metabolism will determine the rate of decline in body mass.
The best way to determine would be based on her "fixations". Can you ever remember her just randomly sparking up a conversation about food, calories, fat or anything? Or if you've ever been grocery shopping, did she stop to read every food label? If you've ever had her round for a meal, did you find that she'd spend a lot of time talking during the meal, then throwing a considerable amount of food away? These are all good signs. If you can't ever remember a history of this, chances are it's a recent onset, in which case, act now on her behalf.
