Bad knees Anonymous
I used to ride a mountain bike all the time now my knee's click every time I peddle, and now they swell up and are painful, so I don't cycle any more.

Is there any hope I can fix them some how?

I apologize for my bad grammar.

btw the knee clicking condition has being bothering me for years now, but only when I jog, run or cycle. The only thing the Doc said is "Here's a proscription" which turned out to be cancer in drug form.

Go to an orthapedic doc. Last one was? Try another. He might sugjest an M.R.I.

You might have torn of displaced something. Most likley your maniscus. No not that scary. Happens to a LOT of people, guys and galls. Even the freak that is me.

If you can't afford the procedure. Try a glucosamine suplament. You can find one at your local sports nutrition supply store. It helps to lubricate the joints, and encoragese the joints to create new padding. Not a solution, but an option for improvement. It will take a week or so for you to notice a differece with the suplament so give it time.

Until then try to streingthen the muscles around the knee. Nothing high impact. Just to try to take some of the stress of the joint and put it on the muscles.
Good luck, and take care.

Did you adjust your saddle height correctly when you biked?
Most cycling knee injuries are a result of either having the saddle too high up, too low, too far back or too far forward. Google up how to adjust the saddle, compare it to what you have right now and depending on what it's set to you can have a better idea as to what the injury is like
