What does /fit/ think about P90X? Does it really do all that in 90 days? If so, I think I'm gonna get it.

And what's with all this "muscle confusion" is that real? Or just some stupid marketing ploy to make them sound like they know what they're talking about...

If you worked out for an hour every day for 3 months you'd see results no matter the program.

>>375473
not neccesarily true, and it depends what you were doing while working out,

anyway, can someone give me link to some free p90x shit? is it on rapidshare?

OP here,

the questions still stand guys. anybody have experience with the program btw? i really dont think that everyone who does this thing gets a 6 pack in 3 months.

P90x is basically disciple in a box.
>> Anonymous
disciple?

do you mean discipline?
>> Anonymous
>>376398
Correct. Sorry about the spelling.

If you stick to it you will see results. And power 90 isn't easy or anything it's quite hard.

bhahahaaha.
I saw the abs workout on the interbutts. Both Ab Ripper X and the sequel Abs Core Plus are easy shit.
PS. I can do over 9000 crunches and can do 130lbs on the crunch machine at the gym easily.

No abs yet since I'm at around 16-18% bf
>> Anonymous
about what % body fat do you start seeing abs anyways?

"Muscle confusion" is real. Your body adapts to the exercise you do, so you have to "confuse" it. That's just their clever new name for it.

True, to get better you need to increase load. Example you need to put more weight to get better at benchpress. But if you start doing a diffrent exercise that still works the same muscles then your body needs to adapt and will work harder.

This.

It's no miracle program, but if you have money to burn it can help keep you "on track."

been downloading that for 2 or 3 weeks now, only at 20% yay

I used limewire to slowly build up a p90x folder because my isp throttles my torrents. P90x is good if you really don't want to go to the gym, and don't have heaps of weights at home either (ie; the situation of most Anon first coming to /fit/).

It's a really good workout, but seeing as it's a home program, and one you can easily get off the web for free...well, you need a LOT of self-discipline to stick to it.

it worked for me, went from 24% body fat to 14% and 220 lbs to 180 lbs.

So how much weights do I need? I have an Olympic bar with 200# of weight and my roommate has seven kettle bells.

Isn't this one http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/16043855/p90x?tab=summary
better?

I actually bought the program after getting tired of waiting for the long torrents. I was doing it solid for about 3 weeks, the exercises are fun, Tony Horton makes the videos interesting although by the third week you will start to memorize most of the videos and can actually move through them quickly.

Word of advice though, when you start the video. Take it easy the first week and don't try and match up with how many reps they do in the video. Everybody in the video has been through the program multiple times and some of them, look like they don't even need to be there because there so fucking ripped already. Take it slow, and you will find yourself feeling different and excellent results.

I was unfortunate that I had some events come up which halted my progress as I couldn't watch the videos regularly but I'm going to be starting it back up again from the beginning and I'm still excited as I was when I first got the program.

Get it! In the 3 weeks I did the program I noticed a huge difference. People at my job commented even on how I was looking more built than prior and were wondering what drugs I was on because I never told them I had gotten it.

If possible at all, ask a friend or somebody your close with to do the program with you. It'll keep you motivated to continue the program.

What is this p90x thing? Does it work on strength or size? If strength, do I need any equipment to do it? the only "equipment" I have are my chairs where I do dips and the stairs pole thing, where I do pullups.

I think it's to get RIPPUD FOR THA GURLZ INSTEAD OF DOIN CURLZ, but I can't know, I'm only at 20%.

Buy a pull-up bar. Really a good investment, and something to talk about when friends or ladies are over.
