skinnyfag here, 6'1" <60kg
i started training today, i just went for a quick jog just to get the ball rolling.
i'll start weight training soon, and eat a shitload of protein and carbs.
my goal is to become harder better faster stronger etc. not just xbawks hueg, though i would like my bones to stop sticking out.
so i'm concentrating on cardio and strength training, once i get into that i'll probably do some wing chun classes (i did a few as a kid) just to get some coordination and possibly fightan skillz about me.
this is my before shot. i took it today.
got any tips, /fit/?
also, before/after pictures would be appreciated.

train to get huege. you will reach your goals faster.

Rippetoes asap. learn the lifts. learn to eat big. its all about calories. count calories, get 3000+ get your protein, your good fats. lift hard and heavy in the 4 - 6 rep range. for the first few months squat every single workout.

Thats how I use to look at 5'6" and 105 lbs.

Gained 25 lbs. Now I look slim instead.

Holy shit dude, you don't need cardio. If you want to build your ability to run, just do an HIIT regimen. Fucking live in the gym. When you're not in the gym or doing HIIT, eat.

heres another tip for confidence in the gym.

none of the big strong guys will laugh at you if you are doing the big moneymaker exercises with good form, and spilling your guts out every workout.

if i saw a runty little kid doing backsquats deep with good form, even with 5lbs on the bar. i would say props to you man.

first poster here again. here are some bulking diet tips:

WHOLE MILK
PB sandwiches
12 grain bread
whole wheat pasta with triple beef
olive oil on everything
whole eggs

pick macro over micro. get your veggies but go easy on them because you need room for the high calorie shit.

EAT WHEN YOU AREN'T FULL, if you are hungry, its too late you haven't eaten enough. you should be shitting all the time

Hey OP:

I used to be really fucking skinny too, maybe weighed just a bit more than you in that pic- I kinda followed advice I have heard around this board, from friends, classes, cruisin the net, etc. Over the past 4 months, I have gained some weight (good) and toned some from running 3 miles a day (for cardio/warmup) and lifting a bit at the gym for about 30 mins 3 days/week, working on chest, abs, and back. My stamina is up, I am faster, I feel better and stronger.

Also, this is from eating A LOT, seriously. I havent counted calories, but I am pounding down WAY more than I did before I started working out. Eating whole grains, vegetables (mainly lettuce), cutting out all things except water for beverages, tuna, nuts, and turkey.

You can do it, OP!

If you want to be strong and fit you're going to have to gain some weight. It's hard to be fit when your body is frail and sustains damage easily. Muscle doubles as armor for your bones as well.

i also used to be like that about 2 years ago. SAME weight same height.
Now i gained about 5-7 kilograms of muscle. From the start i was too self consious to go to the gym so i trained at home. Now im going to the gym and it feels great!
I advise you, do not run and work out same days.
EAT 1-1.5hours BEFORE workout, and RIGHT AFTER workout.
Eat more protein and carbohydrates.
Do ALL OVER workout this way you will gain more mass faster. later ill post my pics of before/after
