Sleep hygiene Anonymous
Hey, /fit/, I have a problem sleeping. I find it difficult to go to sleep around 10 or 11:00, so I do other things like get on the computer. Then, if I still can't go to sleep later I just lay there with my eyes closed waiting to fall asleep mentally. This lack of sleep is realy interfering with my everyday routine.

Anyone have any advice? Any tips or do's/don'ts right before sleep?

try falling asleep while listening to music...classical or something relaxing like bob dylan or whatever. always works for me.

Go to bed at the same time every night. Don't get on the computer or watch TV an hour before bed.

Read a book, nothing technical or for school, read something that you'll enjoy. Then when you get sleepy, put the book down and do a quick beat off session. Should put you out cold.

1) Stop sitting in front of the computer. The brightness of the screen makes your body think it is still light out and it will keep you from sleeping well.

2)Try progressive relaxation?
