okay /fit/, i am in a bit of a pickle right now, if you will.

during the school year i attend a rather large university with a great rec center, which i lift as often as my schedule permits, as well as playing basketball and racquetball, and i usually run (not treadmill, outside is better). but now i'm at home, without any gym remotely close to me. i still run but - should i buy some weights? it's been close to a month and i haven't changed body-wise that much. i used to be sticky thin in high school but now i'm moving towards a little bit larger, pic related. any advice? i think i have the motivation, just not the means.

Look into sandbag training, saves you a load of money and space compared to weights and a bench etc. Basically all you need is some sand, a load of small plastic bags to fill up and seal (e.g. put 1kilo of sand in each bag or something uniform like that) and then stick those inside a larger bag (army surplus hold-all/canvas bag) and lift that.
