/fit/ I just ran and walked 3/4 of a mile (1/2 running, 1/4 walking). After I stopped, my throat felt like it was trying to throw up battery acid. Is this normaly? This is my first time seriously running in months, maybe years... I tried to breath properly (in the nose, out the mouth) too...

20 years old, 6' tall, 190 lbs.

Heart burn reaching up your throat, maybe? Happens to me when I work out. No cure known to me. Don't want to take antacids for it.

Wait did it taste like citric acid? The "warhead" sour coating? That's dehydration

Thats perfectly normal if you havent exercised like that in a while. I used to get it all the time. I take it felt like blood or acid, its just that ur unfit. The body tries its best to get oxygen for your muscles as fast as it can. Being unfit makes the body open up the pores and stress' them

It's normal when you first start running that you feel this horrible. It's because your body is accustomed to sitting in front of a comp all day, and it's tearing itself apart trying to get used to the excersize. If you keep at it for a month and do more every day, it will actually become enjoyable and then you'll be on your way to a healthier life. That first month is all-important, though. Most people quit because of the pain they go through, it's almost like self-torture. Rise above the rest and do it.
