Sup /fit/.I do cardio in the mornings, but weight-lifting at night a little before getting to sleep, so I don't eat any protein or anything afterwards. Am I cheating myself out of any strength this way?(keep in mind I'm not looking for bulk or even definition, just strength for sports.)thx guise lululz
Unfortunately you could be hindering what you could be gaining by lifting at night. Instead of running, try lifting in the morning, and to get cardio out of it, decrease the rest between sets which increases intensity.
How does lifting at night hinder anything?
>>118904Yeah... wouldn't sleeping right after actually repair the muscles better?
eat then sleep
you should drink a protein shake (muscle milk or whatever) before you sleep

>>118916Listen to this man. There are protein powders that are specialized for before-bed consumption (casein instead of whey).Or you could just do like me and throw down a couple of fried eggs with some beans before going to bed.
