The speed at which you lose weight is important, but not as important some people will make it out to be.
You're 300lbs, you're most likely going to lose more than 2lbs a week in the beginning.. I did. You'll start to slow down at around 250, losing maybe 8-10lbs a month.
Regardless of any of that, you'll have lose skin. I'm coming from 310lbs down to 185lbs, and I have loose skin and a bit of fat to lose. So it's going to be there, and it's going to suck. Sorry.
