Recently, I've gained a few pounds (like 10 or 15) and I'm trying to shed them off by jogging a few miles a day. My only problem is that I don't know HOW to jog. No, this is not a troll, I'm serious.
I only know how to run as fast as I possibly can, which lasts me only a few minutes before I run out of breath. So can anyone help me out here? HOW does i jogged?

It's pretty much alternating between a minute of run as fast as possible, then fast walk for two.

I know how to do that, and apparentally it builds muscle much faster (almost 10 times faster) than regular endurance jogging.

i wouldn't do that, specially if you just started.

go at a fast pace that keeps your heart rate up (count if you must.) you can also go at your fastest for say...two or three minutes, then switch to a fast walking pace, then repeat when you feel up to it again. that's basically HIIT in a nutshell.

Yeah, I know.
I'm going to go 3.5 miles, then go back (total of 7 miles). For the first mile, I'm going to fast walk to prepare, then I'm going to run as fast as I can as long as I can, then fast walk, and repeat until I've run the whole 7 miles.
