it's for women originally but since we're the type that stores fat like a girl (lower body instead of upper body) it works just as well for us.
as for your anxiety, I can't really help you much. Advice to you is just keep doing what scares the shit out of you and eventually you won't give a fuck.
i.e. masturbating used to feel dirty and sinful, now I fap 50 times a day, etc.
