My protein shake doubles as my breakfast (or at least half of it), but all my various vitamins and minerals and supplements go in it (fiber and joint shit) If I have to have drinks that have a wretched aftertaste, might as well make them all into one drink.... with bananas.
my diet is also allll fucked up because of work, so my morning shake makes sure i'm getting something in my stomach.
basically, it boils down to what you're doing with a protein shake. If you just need the protien, and have the time, make a meal (I'm pretty sure you can make something better for you than "this little tub of pasta with Salmon") If you're doing it cause it's convienent and you strapped for time, shake all the way
