When I wait the 3 minutes between each set I feel like I can do sets for longer, knocking out like 300 pushups. But I don't know if I'm giving my body too much time to rest between each set. When I wait just a minute between each set I'm tired and worn down in like 4 sets and my arms get real heavy. Even though I don't want to, I have to quit after like 150 pushups.
As someone who's trying to get stronger I feel like I should be doing more pushups (until I get some weights anyhow) since I figure more reps = more torn muscle, but I'm trying to figure out if just maxing out at 150 because I did them in such a short amount of time is going to reap better benefits because of how intense it is?
I hope my question makes sense.
