I'm 18
I weigh 280lbs
I'm 6'1"

I'm jogging on my tredmill for 5 minutes, doing crunches, and 40 crunches (10 times of 4 varieties)

I do this every other day.

I just want to lose weight, I don't care about muscle tone or any of that. I'm starting to eat less fatty foods, drink more water (instead of soda).

I have an Elliptical (but it's buried under a bunch of junk in my storage room), a stationary bike (chain needs to be fixed), an older tredmill, and some stupid situp rocker thing.

I'm wondering which machine I should focus on as well.

Thanks.

Eliptical, treadmill are fine. Running outside works too. You should be fine by just using one of these machines. You don't need a whole gym to start losing weight.

I suggest you also get a good meal plan going to speed up your metabolism and crunch some numbers and create your calorie deficit. Coupled with exercise.

Also, get this book and make love to it as often a possible.

I was about the same height/weight as you a few months ago... You're going to need to jog a lot more than 5 minutes at one time. Minimum of 20 to be doing anything. I started off doing 1 mile for 2 weeks then upped it to 2 miles, doing up to 4 at one time when I felt good.

Just make sure to eat good and keep at it. After a week or two, people will notice a difference in how you look (not like you dropped 20 lbs but you look healthier overall).

Also until you lose a lot of the weight, you may want to do the elliptical or stationary bike, it's easier on your knees.

Good luck anon.
