Critique-A-Meal:

Vegetable medly (steamed corn and green beans, fresh carrots and lettuce with 2 tsp o' dressing) and sausage ravioli + cheese tortellini in a tomato basil sauce sprinkled with fresh shredded parmesean. 2 cups o' soymilk for drink.

Hows this lookin? What do I lack? Oh, and keep in mind I just got done with a run, after which I chugged 2 scoops of muscle milk in water for protein, then showered and prepared this.

But I run, like decent distances (5 mi today, typically ~25 miles a week) and I'm not looking to lose weight or gain weight or anything, just here for the general health aspects. Is there a reason I should reduce carbs below what little is shown here?

Steaming produces the healthiest cooked vegetables, and microwaving produces the least healthy vegetables, according to Spanish researchers. Cristina Garcia-Viguera and her team looked at how the way in which vegetables were cooked affected the levels of anti-oxidant substances called flavonoids in vegetables like broccoli. Flavonoids are important because they can mop up harmful chemicals called free radicals which, left unchecked, can damage your DNA and cause cancer. The team found that microwaved vegetables lost almost all their healthy antioxidants. The researchers think this is because microwaves produce hotspots inside the food which cause the antioxidants to break down. Boiled vegetables were not much better, losing 80% of their flavonoids by the time they were cooked, with most of the healthy antioxidants leaching out into the water. But steamed vegetables lost only 10% of their flavonoids making steaming the healthiest way to cook your vegetables.

way more protien. instead of just running look up H.I.I.T. and do that instead. cut the dressing, hydrogenated oils- like to chill at your ankles as fat. dairy produce may cause you to break out more- only if you care.

instead of the ravioli ect- try some 93% lean beef or chicken breast. much better

keep up the good work
