Hey, you guys ever seen anything like this? He's had the swelling for about a week now and refuses to see a doctor. We suspect it's an injury he got while fishing. It feels like it's just filled with fluid or something.

My dad's got this. Most likely benign, but get it checked.

Is this person on blood thinners? If you have heart problems and are on blood powerful blood thinners to combat them, you can get major swelling from minor bumps.

Yeah, he's not on blood thinners.

Brown recluse bite? Wouldn't he be sick by now?

enjoy going broke paying for health care when your insurance won't cover you

It's not a recluse bite. The venom is massively necrotic, he'd have lost most of his elbow by now.

lol, my 16 years old dog has a similar thing.

Looks like a huge cyst to me.

I agree. Looks like a giant cyst, especially since you said it feels like it's filled with fluid. He might want to go to the doctor anyway, just because it could be something more serious.

And trust me, if it was a brow recluse, you'd know by now, just like>>321820said.

no, he would be dead by now

Cut that fucker open and see what's inside.Or suck out what's inside, dunno.
>> Pop it Anonymous
It's probably just fluid-filled cyst. Try popping it with a needle to see if the fluid leeks out. If it's solid inside, then its something else.

Pop that shit and be sure to POST THE RESULTS.
>> OP Anonymous
Haha, we're actually thinking about popping it on friday. It will be recorded.

bursitis- go to a doctor as it can infect and become really bad. also be aware that it may become chronic as well.

The fact that it's on a joint makes me inclined to agree with this. It's probably bursitis. Bursa are a natural, cushioning, fluid-filled sac around your joints. So, popping it would be bad.

Bursitis typically is set off by impact trauma. Ask him if he remembers hitting his elbow on anything recently.

My classmate had this...so disgusting... you could hear the fluids moving
GODDAMN IT!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

I will tell you this. If you are fucking lucky, it is bursitis. If unlucky, you have septic arthritis, and about another week before you will have permanent function impairment. But hey, it's worth taking pictures and posting on /fit/ for the lulz.

Val Kilmer has the same thing.
