Hey /fit/,

What do you guys do to stay in shape? I've designated this month as a 'hardcore' month and am consequently trying to work out twice per day. My secondary workouts should normally be less intense than my primary workouts... Here's what I've been doing so far:

Main workout:
Mon, Wed, Fri: Weight lifting followed by 8-10 minutes of HIIT
Tues, Thurs, Sat: Interval training cardio. 48 minutes.
Sun: Long steady cardio (70 minutes) + rowing.

Now, my secondary workouts throughout the week:
2x Martial Arts (Muay Thai). Unforunately these are more intense than the primary workouts.
3x cycling for an hour.

Every single muscle group in my body has some associated soreness right now, but I've been keeping thus up for 16 days now and believe I can carry it out until the end of the month. However, the cycling is getting boring.

mon, wed, fri, sat: smolov jr for squats in the mornings and in the afternoons upper body - mon, fri pull; wed, sat - push
every day: grip exercises (i know i shouldn't but it's so addictive)

i know this looks like overtraining, but i've been wanting to try it for a long time and now is my best chance to since i have no school or work this month

OP here. I think that overtraining is a concept that's largely overblown. I've noticed my cardio performance improve noticeably since starting this regimen. Naturally, I've been eating more (and much better protein/carbs/fat) ratios to put up with the increased energy demand.

Like I said before, I'm sore all over, but it's not a debilitating soreness. Rather, it's one of those 'that was a good workout' type sorenesses.

I'm not even sure why I'm doing this. Mainly just to see if I can keep at it for a straight month. Also, I'm trying to lose body fat to bring it down into a sexier range. So I guess we'll see what happens. By far the hardest thing to sustain is the HIIT after weights. It's really easy to convince myself that I've done 'enough' for that session. Gotta keep at it though.

I'm a construction worker.

I wouldn't recommend this method to anyone with a choice.
