Velocity Diet Anonymous
sup mis/fit/s

tommorow im starting on the Velocity Diet, and i just bought all the stuff i think i need for it today. Ima make a list of what i got, and can anyone who is currently on the diet please give me suggestions as to what i need to add to it. Also do you reccomend 5 shakes a day if im lifting everyday.

So heres what i bought:
2 LB's 100% weigh protein to start (will buy more when i run out)
Box of 90 multivitamins
10 OZ's of preground flax seeds
90 fish oil gelcaps
6.4 OZ of benefiber

Also do i only need to add benefiber and the flax seeds to one shake a day or do i add it to all of them?

And i only take 1 fish oil capsule with the vitamin in the morning?

Comment too long. Clickhereto view the full text.

Umm... don't do the V diet. You're going to fail.

But at least mix up your protein powers, damn.

bump for need of advice still

Benefiber fucking sucks. Why not get Original Fiber One instead? Seems like you'd get more for less calories.

meh. follow shugart's plan. he's pretty explicit.

you plan on lifting every day while on velocity? you'll learn to scale that back pretty quickly.

since you've never done velocity before, i'll say max i'd lift 4 times a week, more likely 3. if you want cardio thrown in, do only cardio days and don't mix with lifting for max 2 days. all totaled, no more than 5 days in the gym per week. keep the workouts fairly simple.

why? you're cutting, not bulking. don't even pretend that you're trying to add mass with a hulkamania workout. go in, target a few key areas with some lifts, moderate intensity, moderate weight, get a good sweat going and get out.

yes. 5 shakes a day, even when you're not lifting on those days.

V diet requires a good deal of experience with controlling your diet. somebody coming off eating 3 meals a day and junk food etc is going to fail.

you need to have experience to do the V-diet. if you dont, this is going to be the hardest thing you have ever done in your life.

ive got the experience to do the V diet.

i wrestled in highschool and constantly cut weight. But it was easier to cut weight when i wrestled 5 days a week for more than 3 hours a day. But yea im used to goin for like 4 days in a row with only drinking water and eating nothing to make weight so it wont be to big of a discipline thing for me. Its just the thing is right now that i lift for around 2 hours a day 5 days a week so i was wondering how much the diet will screw that up.

okay you should be fine.

train as hard as you cane, you will be weaker because of the lack of carbs. i would avoid stuff like conventional deads or heavy low rep squats because you might break form when you are so tired.

my workout is mostly compound lifts but its not heavy reps high weight.

to give u an example of what my reps are this is my bench workout.

Benchpress: 1x15, 1x10, 1x8, 1x6, 1x4, 1x2, 1x1

Its almost the same reps for all my other workouts. Is that goin to be to much on V-diet? And if so will i be good if i just cut out like 1 or 2 sets from each different lift?

just play it by ear, listen to your body. if you reach your 4 rep set, and after that you feel really gassed and you might not be able to do the next two sets, dont do them
