'Hey Guys.'

So I sleep about 11 hours a day. I go to bed at 12:00 am, wake up at 6:30 am. Then, I go to school and come home at around 1:30 pm. From there I sleep until 6:00 pm.

That pretty much leaves me with no time for studying, looking for a job, or doing anything that needs to get done. I'd stay up, but at about 11:00 am I just feel extremely tired. I've gone to bed earlier (10:00pm) but it makes no difference.

Is there anyway to get more energy? I eat normal meals, run daily, and am of a normal weight.

Holy jesus that afternoon nap is excessive.

Try eating a full breakfast and jogging for an hour immediately upon waking up. Try sleeping at 10pm, waking up at 4:30 for an early jog.

Get up early and do some yoga. Do a bit again when you get home. It's relaxing without being tiring, so it ought to clear the sleepiness right out of you.

The most important part is just to pick a plan and keep at it. I went for a few months with a 4 AM - 2 PM sleep schedule and just had to force myself off it, but it took a week or so.

Not OP here but I have the same problem. I've been trying to force myself off this schedule for a couple years now and it just seems impossible :\.

OP: agreed.

Like I literally can't function - must sleep. I take energy drinks when I have things that I MUST do, but that can't be healthy.

Also, yoga <.<?

Uhm...

I recommend it because
- You don't have to go outside if the weather's shitty
- it's low intensity so you won't sweat like shit
- It's relaxing enough that it won't be a huge hassle before going off to school
- You can get beginner DVDs super-easy and it requires absolutely no equipment or prior training.

I'm a yoga junkie. Took a 10-week course on it and loved every minute. I actually started looking forward to taking yoga study breaks.

That actually seems like a good idea. If it fits in my schedule I'll register for morning yoga next quarter.

what a cool gif, OP. Thanks.

Thats insane that you sleep that much. maybe you have mono???

The simplest answer is to not sleep so fucking much. Not only does it reduce your life expectancy, it's a waste of time, as you realize.

I've been thinking that there might be something wrong. Just didn't know if there was a 'tired'-sickness. I'll go look up mono info, thanks =).

I've fallen asleep literally everywhere. On the bus, on the couch, with friends. I just get too damn tired. I'm not being a bitch about this, I just can't function. Can't lift my arms, keep my eyes open, get headachey, etc.

mono's usually a relatively short-term thing tho... how long have you been sleeping like this??

Lack of energy is a symptom of diabetes too, isn't it?

I'm going to say that it started at the beginning of the school year. There weren't really any restrictions on my sleeping times during the summer so I'd sleep from about 12 to 12. But I think I should be acclimated by now.

Last school year I had a different schedule, so my habits were a bit different averaging maybe 9 hours a day.
