If you really want to do Special Ops, you should talk to a recuiter and ask him about getting pipelined for SEAL training. I don't know how it works in the Navy, but in the AF, you will test a special PT test (while you are in basic military training) to gauge if you are physically competent to withstand the rigors of that training course. It will probably consist of pullups, pushups, situps, flutterkicks, a 3-5 mile run, and difficult swimming/diving shit.
That being said, Crossfit and HIIT are the things to train. Don't forget your long-distance runs (5-10k), and a lot of swimming.
