keeping weight Anonymous
hey /fit/
I'm a hard gainer (with absurdly high metabolism), and untill recent financial restrictions (back to school, no job) dictated otherwise, I was able to enjoy the luxury of of calorie shakes and protein shakes (despite being a hard gainer I am reasonably sized, 6ft4, was 14stone) but over the last two months I have lost about a stone, maybe slightly more, due to a change in diet.
Can /fit/ recomend any high calorie foods that are cheap? I've heard peanut butter and "jelly" (jam or preserves to everyone else, right?) are good, but I'd like to have some variation as I'm not too hot on pb.
thanks. (pic sorta related, kinda)

Bulk foods from warehouse stores if you have them. You can score a lot of chicken for cheap if you buy in bulk and freeze. Brown rice is about $2-2.50 per a bag that has a ton of servings. Mix half chicken stock and half water and follow the directions to make it. A dozen of eggs where I live (brown natural farm fresh, large) is $1.88. You can put about 4 whites and 2 yolks in a bowl and whisk them then microwave for 2 minutes on power 50 add some cheese and go for another 30-60 secs and, take out of bowl, cut in half, put on hamburger bun or on whole wheat bread. Oscar meyer family size turkey is about $5 for a pack that has a 24 slices with 4g of protein a slice. Natural peanut butter is good but it will get old when you don't feel like licking your gums, I get the jiffy no stir shit (not AS natural but whatever I don't have all day). Tuna fish is super cheap and is full of protein. You can make pasta for cheap, a pound of ground chuck is like $2-3 bucks and will make 3-4 burgers (tons of protein). George foreman grill and a few spices and you can make it no problem.

Lard is so high is fat. saturated fat and cholesterol that I would probably die of heart attack, a fat bastard rather than regain any lean mass.

using pounds is bad enough but stone as a weight measurement is fucking retarded. How arbitrary can you get.
