What about carb/protein intake? I have heard cutting carbs helps you lose fat faster, and more fat, as opposed to muscle. This true? All the guides I have read say that one should get at least a gram of protein per pound of weight per day, but I can't seem to wrap my head around how to get that much protein while keeping my calorie intake low. I mean, an egg has what, 8 grams of protein? I am willing to supplement with a protein shake, but it seems like I would need to drink a couple per day to get that much protein.
Also, last summer, I ran six days a week, four miles per day, and I didn't see much change.. mostly just developed pain in my knees. Then again, I wasn't also weight training at the time.
