hey /fit/

i've had a back/shoulder pain for quite a while now (ever since i was young) and decided i would ask what you thought. whenever i sit down for a long period of time, i get a pain in my back right around my left shoulder blade, but just up and to the right of it. Sometimes I get it in the same area around my right shoulder blade. Sometimes I get it when in other positions when I am laying down but have my torso upright or at an angle with my shoulder twisted.

I may get it when i'm standing, but not as far as i can remember recently.

after researching it, i think i found the muscles responsible.
pic related, it's that area.

what do you think /fit/ ?

Could be a number of things.

Could be the way you sleep at night, could be that you hunch whenever you're in a sitting position (although that mostly affects lower back)

Maybe it's just a stiff muscle that needs a little loosening. Try icing it, and look into visiting a chiropractor.

Good luck.
