Okay /fit/, I'm sick of being a fatty. I'm 6', 240lbs. In ninth grade, I peaked at 260ish while only being around 5'9". I'm done being a fat ass, and I need your help to get myself on the right track.

I'm day two into my new eating plan, which included lots of salads and vegetables. I'm gonna incorporate meat and beans into the salads and whatnot. I picked up some whole grain breads, pasta, and rice, which I know isn't REAL good but in moderation they can all be healthy. Also picked up chicken, fruits, and some salmon fillets, as well as some protein drink mix to curb my appetite when I get hungry between meals.

Grabbed a jump rope, too, for some cardio.

So, /fit/ what's the plan? Do I just do jump rope every other day and eat a shitton of vegetables and fruits? Where can I find some recipes to spice things up? I love food, and I'd like to enjoy what I'm eating because I wanna stick with this.

Thanks for any input.

Instead of long periods of time spent doing Cardio, go look up high intensity interval training.

The website is goofy, but the No S Diet is a sound, simple eating plan. No snacks, no sweets, no seconds.

If you want to get more in-depth: Cook everything yourself. Buy nothing in a box. Make your plate 2/3s plants when you eat. Pick one day a week to go out and eat with friends (if you plateau with a cheat day, go for a single cheat meal every week.)

I'm experimenting with the Zone as done by CultFit right now. It's pretty involved, but it runs on the basic principles of caloric restriction and good food choices. Focus on those two things and you can't go wrong.
