What kind of eye problems does everyone have? I have myopia and astigmatisms in both eyes. Also, my left eye is a little lazy and tends to stray outwards sometimes. Wall-eye FTL.

I have trouble seeing at night.

I'm slightly nearsighted. Meh, nothing contacts or glasses can't fix. Really. With the newer gel based contacts it's like lolwtf easy to do sports so It doesn't bother me much.

myopia is being nearsighted
astigmatism... as i remember correctly its when the lense of your eye ball, is not elliptical, but is kind of uneven.
resulting like: top of the image can be blurry but the bottom can be normal... or something like that...

Damn medical physics class was over 9000 days ago >.<

You're right. :)

My astigmatisms are different for each eye, so without my glasses, it's impossible to get a clear, focussed image at any distance. It's a shame. The only way the optometrist figured out I was nearsighted was when he noticed images closer to my face were less blurry than ones farther away.

Are you a med student?

I am very fortunate to have three perfect eyes.

No problems except for horrible vision, IIRC it's about 20/450. Without glasses, from 20 feet away, I can see the same level of detail that someone with perfect vision would see from 450 feet away. Shit mildly sucks.

Exactly. Some time back in the mid-90s, my doctor asked me if I wanted contacts. I asked him how much they'd be, and he said something around $200. Per contact. I lol'd in his face and told him I'd just get my glasses updated. I hear contacts for astigmatisms are cheaper these days, but I'm too attached to the glasses. But I don't want to keep going on about boring shit...

Do try contacts if you can. It's not for everyone, but my god is it motherfucking amazing. I have damaged my eyes by reading a lot in poorly lit areas. Been wearing glasses since I was 12 or so. It pretty much screwed my experience in schools. Wearing glasses -> can't partake in active sports -> become a wimpy nerd... I think you can fallow the chain of events. Before I went to uni my doctor recommended contacts for me. I did try. I could be active again. I started working out and it helped a lot with my self-confidence. Been much happier with my life since then. Nowadays they cost somewhere around 40 USD (if I got the conversion rates right) for both eyes for 30 days. The image is a lot cleaner and crisper compared to when wearing glasses. Also, peripheral vision is great. And you don't have to keep all that weight on your nose. Oh, and you can wear any sunglasses you want ;)

I can definitely see (oh lawd what a terrible pun) the benefits of wearing contacts. I really do hate not being able to wear sunglasses without making them prescription. But I've been wearing glasses since I was 6, so it's really just second nature to me now. Not to mention a shitload cheaper in the long run than contacts are. :\
