I'm tired of people sayin this, he does not eat 12k a day.

Anyhoo, I gotta get me one of those. Maybe only one though, and not very often, there is a ton of fat in that.

I still can't really believe it, I mean Scott Medelson was eating 12,000 calories a day to maintain at 350 pounds.

Yes, I know michael phelps is way more active, but he really doesn't have that much muscle mass, and because he is such a top athlete, he burns calories way, way more efficiently than an average person.

So he maybe burns 500 an hour during his 5 hours of training, and then what? Is his body on fire for the rest of the day?
>> Anonymous
i'd say he eats half those calories and makes up for it in illegal supplements
>> Anonymous
>>460338
Yeah, fukkn lold
>> CWheezy !!bJFrM5LONOF
>>460420
I can believe him eating 12k calories on SOME days, but every day, especially on off days from training
>> Anonymous
>>460440

I dunno. I'm sure his sessions are intense. I've heard of people burning 500 calories for an hour on a stationary bike. I'm sure his sessions work him harder than the average person on a stationary bike...And that doesn't include the calories that your body continues to burn after your done...plus whatever his probably crazy metabolism does...Then you would consider how big he actually is. You don't think he's big, but he's like 6'4'' and weighs 200 pounds.

But like you said, I'm sure on competition days and some other days he probably doesn't eat so much. But who really knows...
>> CWheezy !!bJFrM5LONOF

Well, he may be able to work harder, but he is still way more efficient.

Also, he is pretty skinny, considering he's 6'4 200 pounds, and when you look at him, he looks like most swimmers do, long and skinny.

Ok, even then, let's say while he's working, he burns 1000 calories. He still have 7000 to burn at rest for the rest of the day, there's no way he does

Whoa, whoa, whoa, junior. I said a SCOOP of vanilla. WTF are you doing?

Drink it and SQUATZ it out, brah.

He's been training since he was 7 years old, he has monster metabolism. Coupled with ADHD apparently, and working out for all those years he burns more calories sitting down at a desk than most of us do walking around. He eats total crap too, because his body is so efficient it just burns the calories and nutrients all as the same and he needs high calorie meals to keep him going. If you don't believe me I'll get a few sources for you but that's the basics of it.

I run for half an hour a day and burn 500 calories, so doing an Olympic workout would probably burn a shit ton more than that. It would help if you actually did cardio and knew what the hell you were talking about, you fat fuck.
>> gay
hey bra', if you wanna know how many curlz you gotta do to burn all the calories it's pretty easy bra'. All you gotta do is figure out the energy needed to lift some weights bra', it's potential energy bra'.

PE = mgh
m = mass in kg
g = gravity constant, 9.8ms
h = distance (vertically) you're curling it up bra'

(use pound, 32f/s^2, feet; if SI scares you)

that gives you the value in joules, divide by 4.18 for calories, then 1000 for Calories.

Now you can easily corrolate the number of curlz you gotta do to what you eat bra'

so you can say, damn, that milkshake is 200 curlz, easy bra'
>> Anonymous
Could a bodybuilder eat that and not have any ill effects (granted he ate like 7000 calories a day anyways)
>> Anonymous
lol, 35gs of protein

500 calories/hour, try 1500-2000 calories. I can burn 800 calories an hour on a C2 @ 70% MHR, meaning I can do that for many hours
