I've been married for 6 years. I love my wife and our relationship is strong - BUT after we had kids, got better jobs etc, she has gained weight. We have little time after work to go out, and the gym is far away. I want to build a home gym. Some free weights and 2 ellipticals. Is this trying too hard? We already eat healthy most of the time and I've suggested that we go to the gym together but its very infrequent because of schedules. I don't want to force but at the same time want both of us to get in shape. Should I get two ellipticals or just one?

Life is short. Do it while you're both still young enough to be able to.

No way. Dunno if I'd get two though, unless you're actually planning on doing your cardio together regularly.

Are you sure? Why don't you take over shopping for groceries and skip over all the little junk food snacks that might be sneaking into your house.

You might also need to take the initiative and start working out on your own. Be sure to casually mention from time to time how good you feel after a workout. I wouldn't buy an elliptical or any kind of cardio machine. Your body gets used to the movement and becomes more efficient, which is a BAD thing.

buy a barbell and do 10x10 SQUATZ 3 times a week. You'll be in MAD shape in 3 months

I swear to god, best investment will be to buythe P90X health fitness series, do that and drink lots of water and eat right and you will be healthy and fit in no time, make sure you run too
