Ok so lately i've been litfing weights to build muscle in my arms. An my question is, should I do it every night? A friend of mine said you should do it every other day because you have to let your muscles rest for a day then they build up faster. Is that true?

if you lift every day you're more likely to overtrain and injure yourself, particularly if you havent been doing it for a long time. also your muscles will get tired out.

Ok, I'll help you out since no one else here is. DON'T TRAIN A MUSCLE THAT OFTEN!

The best way to go about it is to separate body parts and train them on separate days.

Monday- Chest + Tris
Tuesday- Back
Wednesday- Quads + Calves
Thursday- Shoulders + Traps
Friday- Hams + Biceps
Saturday and Sunday - Rest

I wouldn't do that at first, start with 3 days a week full workout. Then get brutal on targets a day a week once you've got a good platform to do it on.

Protip: Make a cursory google search to see whether you are being trolled on /fit/

If it is a question that takes less than 15 seconds to answer on google, you are troll bait
