Quite a basic question, but I hope that /fit/ can answer it nonetheless.

I have gut/belly that I'm currently getting rid of with a diet and gym. Right now, while it's still there, is it pointless doing sit ups - should I just wait until it's 'flat' and then do them?

Thanks.

Why I've been considered a troll, I'm not sure.

This is a general question, I apologize if I'm being a fucking idiot, I'd just like an answer.

It's somehow pointless, yes. Since you're on a diet and you're trying to get rid of fat, you're not gonna grow any abdominal muscles through your situps (although you should be doing the plank or maybe crunches, not situps, but that's a different topic).

A few situps (although you should be doing the plank or maybe crunches, not situps, but that's a different topic) will help you retain your abdominal muscles better and prevent them from shrinkening while on a diet. So yes, they help to some extent (although they won't make you burn that stomach fat any faster, they'll just prevent loss of muscles, to a very small degree, doesn't hurt to do them, though).

Crunches / Planks / Scissor kicks / Leg lifts / Bicycle kicks / Reverse Crunches

Do them, don't be so embarrassed to do them b/c other people might stare or laugh at you. At least you're doing something about it.

Also, focus on your ABS and BREATHING for crunches. have seen so many people doing them wrong @ my gym lately.

Are you fucking stupid? How about you work out your ab muscles now so if and when you get flat you'll have them?

Also extra muscles burns extra calories faggot.
