Everyone in my family except me are obese or very overweight. Lately I've noticed myself gaining a few pounds even if my diet has not changed at all, nor my lifestyle choices.

How can I avoid the inevitable?

Eat less, move more.

I consider myself pretty active, though. I don't eat junk food or drink soda, and I bike ride around 2 hours a day.

You might be at the age where extra calories are no longer expended in growing. In other words, eat less.

I guess you want to hear that your family is genetically fat. Nope. They hang around each other and reinforce each other's bad habits.

No such thing as genetic fatness.

Don't listen to these guys. Excersise won't help you if your entire family is fat. It's hopeless.

Fucking bulllshit. Your diet has changed. Think about it emerging fatty. Eaten a few bags of doritos in the last few weeks? What about those 13 hamburgers you ate last night?

You don't just suddenly start gaining weight for NO GOOD REASON.

Stop eating sugary shit.

It's called slowing metabolism. Eat less. And do more curlz.

That right there is the mindset of the lardasses from /ck/.

As for OP... now that you know genetics are a bit unfair to you, you should be driven to work even harder to maintain fitness.
