Hey guys.

I am currently doing StrongLifts 5x5 Beginner's and I was wondering if there is anyway I can do more than 3 days a week? I feel like going 4 or 5 days/week to increase my results or something.

No, muscles need rest and if they don't get it you will lessen your results

well if you're too sore you shouldn't work out either.

371352 here, I usually crosstrain and do cardio on the off days when I feel like it. I'm wary of overtraining so I figure straight cardio is different enough from lifting that it won't fuck me up.

you won't overtrain if you lift one more day a week

overtraining is very hard to do, in fact most people can't even overtrain themselves because your body starts to weaken when you overtrain and people start to stop when they see decreased results therefore resting.

i was on the verge of overtraining, i vamped up my schedule like an idiot from hard to exceedingly past my level in like 2 weeks. i stayed with it for about a month and half and then one day i was so fatigued that i could barely do anything except spin wheels on bike slowly. next day i tried again and to no avail. took about 3 weeks before i was 100% again and that's with about 3-4 rest days a week as oppose to my 1-2 before. im kind of glad i didn't overtrain because that stuff takes months and months to get past, and some people even have it for years.

it's a terrible thing to get because it not only fucks with you phsyically it fucked with you mentally because, you're telling yourself that you can do this but you body just isn't strong enough anymore and you start to go crazy, well at least i did.

how about pushups on the days off.
