I'm trying to get abs. Not super abs, just a little something to start with. I am 5' 11'' and weigh 180 lbs. Pretty athletic build.

I've been doing weight training for about 6 months and I do see results. The only thing that stopped me from doing situps, etc. was that most of my body fat is located on my abdominal region.

My logic was that I should lose weight by doing cardio to potentially lose some body fat so I had a flat stomach to work with. So basically I'm asking if its worth it to do situps even though I cant see them because of body fat.

tl:dr - Should I do situps and other ab exercises despite having most body fat located on my stomach?
