Sup /fit/. 20 y/o lazy college student here looking to lose some weight by August at a director's request. I've been able to hover around a weight that I'm personally comfortable with (about 185lb) for the past two years, but I'd like to ditch my spare tire and get down to roughly 170 or 165 around the end of August.

Care to help me get my ass in gear, anon? I'm certainly capable of shedding weight (I went from 185 to 160 over the course of two months last year) but I've never really done it in an organized fashion. I'd like to use this as an opportunity to create a long-term fitness plan in the interest of whatever career I hope to have once I graduate with my theater degree. Any pointers on where to start would be greatly appreciated, fitness-wise and nutrition-wise. Muscle mass tips would be great, too.

tl;dr: Make lazy anon un-lazy

HIIT, google it. I've done it a few times and i've noticed considerable changes. Do it with running and watch your diet. Try doing it every other day, so you can allow yourself to rest.

OP is lazy, he wont be able to handle HIIT if he doesnt exercise regularly.

What I lack in that respect is compensated for by sheer willpower. I recently did P90x which to me effectively translates into an HIIT regime and despite huffing and puffing my way through it the first week or so I was eventually able to keep up with it pretty well. I guess you could say I'm one of those "mind over matter" people.

I don't have access to the materials for that anymore but I do have access to a fully featured gym, so any recommended activities to do there would be duly noted.

Of course that's not to say that I'm not interested in boosting my stamina. That's a given.

Well give it a week or two on moderate cardio using treadmill or elliptical before moving onto HIIT on either of them, your choice. Alternate your days of lifting and cardio, high protein, low carbs, eat good fats, no sugar, no alcohol, tom venuto burn the fat, feed the muscle read it, yadayadayada im going to bed, gn.

Good luck doing it while drinking, it will be the biggest waste of time in your life.

<<< Hasnt had a drink in over 4 months, which is pretty good considering i'd go through 12-14 stella and spirits on a weekend.
