wear gloves. for extra credit, moisterize

Don't wear gloves. Your hands won't be able to cope with higher weights.

I actually do moisturize, in part due to an antibiotic I am taking for my complection.

In regard to gloves, where can I buy them, and how much do they usually cost?

Use lube and surgeon gloves when fapping.

Man up, and learn to like them.

Those are going to rip off if you don't take care. Start filing them down.

But, do gurlz like them?

Chalk. But also you need to adjust your grip. I'm willing to be you use a double overhand grip on deadlifts, and by the 3rd or 4th set the bar starts slipping down your hand.

i'm not OP but i usually do an over under on deadlifts.. but its always the same way.. if i switch, my grip feels weird.. i don't really have callus problems, should i worry about it?

Lol, I took that picture in between sets of deadlifts using a double overhand grip.

Innernets to you anon.

Irrelevant. Use the right grip though.

Ok /fit/ here's another 'why do you workout' thread.

Personally, I started for health, then moved toward sex appeal, but now am sort of in between sex appeal and for intimidation (power).

yw. What I've done to minimize mine is to use a double overhand grip for my first 2/3 sets (maximize grip strength), but since I don't normally have chalk, at this point my hands become sweaty, and I switch to one hand up one hand down for the next two sets. Thankfully, I'm ambidextrous, so I can do one set with left hand on top, and then the last set with the right hand on top.

gloves?

Gloves, sports authority, range from $15-$40. I'm sure there are pricier ones too, but I wasn't browsing them. I picked up a cheap $15 pair and now I don't get that shit anymore.

Any cons to wearing gloves?
>> Anonymous
Well I get those on a minor degree from doing pullups(or is it chinups?) .. palms facing me, grip as wide as my shoulders basically.

I can't really change my grip much, for some reason I'm not able to do the wide grip pullups(at least, not enough to make it worth my while) so I just avoid them for now until I'm strong enough to

cheaper than that, i got a pair of Harbringer gloves for 10 bucks, they lasted me a year or so till i lost em.. now i just go without and my hands got over it.

>>107775
I got gloves that cut off at the first joint of my finger and my calluses moved from where yours are to where my gloves cut off. Not nearly as bad as they were though...

You won't develop your grip strengh as fast as you would without using gloves.
>> Anonymous
you wear gloves, you're automatically a pussfagot

calluses are good for you.
>> Anonymous
Use gloves, and if you like, moisterize to get rid of them faster.

I use these bionic gloves that I got for $30, my annoying calluses are all gone now. Plus they feel fantastic, look badass, and have noticably helped my workout
>> Anonymous
By NOT using gloves you make the skin on your hand harder and thicker. This equals EPIC WIN. If you use gloves....EPIC FAIL

LISTEN TO THIS ANON
>> Anonymous
>>108208
listen to those anons only if you are dredging gyms for gay sex.

If you don't want calluses, do whatever you must so you don't get them, regardless of what some random fucker thinks of you.
>> Anonymous
Use chalk and grab the barbell so that your skin doesn't fold under it. For example, when you're deadlifting don't place the barbell so that it's ontop or in center of your palm, but near the point where your fingers start. This is actually where the barbell will go anyways no matter how you grab it, but the difference is that it will cause skin folding and thus calluses when you initially place it higher on your palms.
>> Anonymous
>>108231

And to continue this, don't use gloves. The same people who give that advice to you are probably the guys who will wrap something around the barbell when (/if) they're squatting. You don't want anything extra between you and the barbell to secure it down.

I use tape. No callouses.

I like keeping my hands soft. I use them for things.
