I OCCASIONALLY do it, depending on how bad it is, I only do it about every 3 months or so, because I generally eat really healthy, but if I give in and eat a bunch of chocolate/ice cream/etc, I'll puke it up... but that's only if there's nothing high in protein in there, so I don't have to go re-eat even more protein...

Not speaking from personal experience, but based on the people I have known: bulimia is a pretty serious mental disease. once you develop it, it fucks your mind up pretty seriously. I dated a girl who had it, and she conducted her entire life as bingeXpurge. she had poor discipline and didn't worry about overeating because she knew she could just throw up, later.

Also, ice-cream floats on top of your stomach acid, so you can pretty much just puke up the now melted cream and be fine.

95% of the bullshit they equate to bulimia's negative health affects are because the people are doing it 1-4 times a day, and are purging mostly stomach acid, not food.

On this topic I have a question /fit/.
I know that if you have a calory surplus and you're doing resistance training your body should use the extra calories to build muscle instead of fat, given the correct amount of protein, right?

I'm trying to lose weight, and i'm doing resistance training every other day. If I happen to eat too many calories on one of my resistance training days, should my body just use it to build muscle instead of fat? Even though i'm normally in the process of losing weight?

I only do it sometimes, I've done it 3 times in 2008, I don't think that's a problem. All the times I did it, I did not plan to do it until AFTER I ate the food, so it's not like I'm thinking "I think I'll go eat a bunch of ice cream and then puke it up!"
