So /fit/, question I've had for a while:

If I do a run or bike and burn 250 calories, then eat a 250 cal protein bar, have I just undid everything from the run?

depends what else you eat. Unless you are suggesting a person should eat less than 250calories a day then FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Nah, regular diet, just considering that I'm eating the bar a few minutes after running.

Not really, because that protein bar will give you some vitamins (which now, uh, kinda come for free) and also probably make you eat less later.

By the by though, if you're trying to lose weight you should be counting your calories, so eating that 250 kcal bar, that's a 250 calories deducted from your daily spendage.

Why don't you lift weights, increase your lean muscle mass, and then burn more calories while you sleep or sit on your ass watching TV?
