So I have a problem, I just squatted 250 ATG, for 1 rep(6'4, 225 here), I was following stronglifts 5x5 but its gotten really hard to add weight each session, workouts are taking over 2 hours due to needing to rest between squat sessions.

I can do 2x5 with 225, but I start getting really exhausted on the third and I can't quiet finish it.

What should I do?

I also have been doing leg extensions, leg curls with light weight for 4x8 after the squats as well as single leg squats(I might stop the leg extensions/curls as they seem to hurt my knees, even with light weight and slow movement).

Should I cut the weight by 30% and re-start following the 5% each workout track again?

Suggestions?

Supposed to add five pounds, not five percent.

Yes. I spelled out five and percent.

Don't as why.

lolwut bro

you are making this waaay less complicated than it should be.

1)leg extensions, wtf? Unless you are going to compete soon, get rid of that worthless shit
2) If you can't add weight, dont.
3) I do squats and deadlifts in one session, shit takes 30 mins MAX. I'm 5'11 195lbs. In 3 months i got my squat from a 1 rep max of like 155 to a 5 rep max of 275. All i did was alternate between front/back squats lol.

just take it easy bro

You don't have to add weight every session, just when you feel like you can actively handle more. If you're still tired on your lift day from the previous session, don't add.

After the 3rd squat session it gets to a point where you feel like you might faint. I need at least 5 minutes between, sometimes it takes 10.

This last workout I didn't even do the BP/Rows as I was so exhausted from squatting.

lol sorry i said
>you are making this waaay less complicated than it should be.

but i meant way *more* complicated than it should be. If you are working out that hard i really suggest you simplify your routine. I only do 3 sets for squats. (4 if you count warm-up =/ )

guise.
halp.
I recently started doing squats, about 3 weeks ago.
I started getting sharp pains in my knee, that would run up and down the side of my leg when I was having my leg day yesterday. Messed up my joints? Did I pull something? I stopped immediately the minute it started feeling more intense.
