Me and my friend have been working out at the high school weight room recently.. out of about 10 workouts, we've worked upper bodies about 8 times. (bench press, incline, dumbell flys, bicep curls, and occasional tricep dips) we've worked legs twice.

Are there any negatives to just working your upper body?

I've got stick arms and legs like tree trunks. I thought i'd make myself more proportionate.

More than likely your legs aren't as strong as you think they are and will actually "shrink" and become more toned. Do both - you'll even out eventually.

Your glutes, quads, and hamstrings are among the largest and strongest muscles in your body. When you work them, your body releases more growth hormone than with any other muscle group.

Prescription: GET UNDER THAT BAR AND DO SOME SQWAUTZ.
