Hey fit. Two questions. 1) What do sore muscles indicate? 2) I did about an hour total muscle workout two days ago and about an hour and a half of cardio yesterday, and today I'm totally sore all over (mostly my arms, chest, and legs). Should I just rest today? Or perhaps just do some light walking. I'm overweight by about 30 lbs and want to lose weight. Will not exercising for one day kill me? Comments please.

sore muscles indicates that your muscles are sore.
You should probably figure out what's causing that, it could be bad.

It's not really clear what causes sore muscles. It's either milk acid from repairing or pain from torn fibers.
Anyway, you feel sore, you should rest, listen to your body.
If you workout, your muscles need at least 48 hours to repair.
Longer if they are not used to the work.
Rest a day at least between workouts.
