Hey /fit/, need an evaluation on my workout:

2 mile jog at around 70% max HR
1 mile jog at fat burning HR
3 - 4 mile bike ride on mostly even ground
4 sets of 15 on bench (85lbs)
4 sets of 15 on bicep curl (50lbs)
4 sets of 20 on hip adductor/abductor (100lbs)
4 sets of 15 on leg press (100lbs)

Keep in mind I wasn't at all in shape when I began. I've gone from 170lbs to 163 in about a month, but I've noticed a marked toning and slimming even though weight loss hasn't been that drastic, and I've been adjusting the weights up as they get easier. Usually in the gym an hour and a half.

Pic unrelated.
Any tips? Suggestions?

INTENSITY IS KEY

OP Here,

If I wasn't going to follow Waterbury, would upping the weights significantly and decreasing the reps also achieve similar goals?

Well no because you are only training mirror muscles and not the entire body so you are not increasing the size of the biggest muscles in the body, back and legs.

What modifications can I take from Waterbury and from the rest here to aid in weight loss - the running seems to definitely be slimming me down, but it's a much slower process than I imagined. Only about 7 pounds in 30 days.

I would think running would help, beefs up the legs.
