Eating at Night Anonymous
Do you eat close to bedtime? Do you wake up with more energy when you do? I feel this way sometimes. It bothers my sleep to have a bunch of food sitting in my gut though.

I'm pretty sure its bad for you. I avoid it when I can, but some times have to because of work.

you will gain weight by eating certain foods at night. when you sleep your metabolism slows down - so if you eat a big meal right before you sleep you will digest it faster, therefore storing it as fat.

it's said that you should eat your biggest meal in the morning (for energy), normal lunch, then breakfast for dinner.

Enjoy your stored fat.

If you excercise it doesn't matter when you eat.

eating before bedtime is not good. It doesn't necessarily make you gain weight, but it doesn't help you lose it either.

By waiting 3 hours before going to bed after eating, you basically get that entire time you're asleep where you're body is in "starvation" mode and is burning up the food you had for the day as well as fat. By eating close to bed time, your body is stuck working to digest and burn through that food which prevents it from burning fat and other stored energy. Plus you have a tendency to wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep cuz your body is actively burning.

Moral of the story, wait at least 3 hours.

Go fucking kill yourself. Seriously. Use a fucking spork to penetrate your colon so that it maximizes the anguish.

If you are working out and dont eat slow digesting shit before bed, your body can go into a cataboic state and start metabolizing lean body mass instead of fat. So, like, learn things from reading.

Jesus christ. Fuck off and die. I mean, seriously. Fuck you and your cunting rules of thumb and morals of stories. Jesus shitting christ.

I have a Casein shake before bed. I'm having one right now. It digests slowly(2-7 hours) so your body doesn't start to break down your muscles over night.

As in an hour or so before you go to sleep or literally right before?

I take it right before I go to bed.

I suppose it wouldn't matter exactly when you take it, as long as it's sometime before bed.

Yes. That's why Casein is good before bed. It takes most of the time you're sleeping to digest entirely so your muscle aren't without protein throughout the night. What I do personally is i take a shake before bed and usually when i wake up to take my dog out to piss at like 5am i will have another cup or half cup and go back to sleep until I actually am ready to make breakfast.

That's what I take. I've only had the creamy vanilla and it's not too tasty by itself but if you throw some berries in there or mix it with some tasty whey it will be great.

How long did it take you to notice a difference in size?
>> Anonymous
>>268595
Well that depends on a variety of factors like how often you train, what kind of training you are doing, what you are eating, are you getting enough rest, etc. But Casein will benefit you greatly in that it prevents you from entering a state of Catabolism, in which muscle is broken down for energy.

>>268590
That's cause pasta is a simple Carbohydrate and quickly replenishes the Glycogen stores in your muscle which is what is broken down during a workout. You should try to get in some simple carbs post workout to replenish the Glycogen stores and allow your muscles to recover much faster.
