hey /fit/, well I was planning on running today for some cardio but alas, it's raining, and it's supposed to rain all day. So just wondering what I can do inside that will be a good substitute for running. thanks

another idiot - why would you figure that you'd get pneumonia by running in the rain, because you'd get wet? Then why wouldn't you assume that people who swim would get pneumonia?

If you're running and you're cold, you ain't doing it right.

Because when you're running there is more area exposed to air compared to swimming.

Ok I'll clear this shit up for you.

If you run in the rain, then sit soaking wet clothes all day and catch a chill, you can get pneumonia. However while running you will be fine, infact I love running in the rain as it does keep you cool, just remember to shower and change clothes asap. What about rowing, you get soaked doing that, and don't get pneumonia. Also, me and 45000 other people competed in the London Marathon 2 years ago, and it pissed down all day. I didn't get pneumonia despite running for 5 hours. In the rain. Because it was raining. And I was still running. Without pneumonia. Because running in the rain doesn't cause pneumonia you dumb fucks.

Just run, you pussy.

And this talk of being cold/getting sick is retarded. . . Minnesota brings me excellent running conditions at -15 F (-25 C) during the winter. Your body when running is cranking out heat, and if clothed to properly wick away sweat, wicking away rain or snow or any such is no different either.

It is never too cold to get outdoor cardio on.
