Hey /fit/, Summers coming up and its another year of being over weight. As far as I can remember i've been overweight probably my whole life, but now, i'm planning to use this summer to get in shape and learn to respect my body more often.

My daily fat-ass routine is:

Breakfast: Eggs + Brown Rice (White if no brown rice is cooked)

Goes to school

Lunch: A sandwhich w/ cheese salami and bologna w/ Mustard

Dinner: Chicken Or beef served with brown rice.

Bascially I do nothing in between in, and relativly no activites because of my addiction to an MMORPG. I'm happy to announce though but im quitting to live my life and not waste it.

This is what I plan doing for probably the rest of my life, beginning Summer.

3 meals? Just NO.

Make it 6 meals, small portions. Don't starve yourself. Read about nutrition.

So much sugar coming from fruits? Pff, you're kind of insane. Vitamins, have you ever heard of 'em?

Add milk to this crazy plan. Protein. Get a better workout routine.

I never said i wanted to lose weight as fast as possible and if it came out that way, well my bad.
It didn't seem like that way when i was typing this. Also do 6 meals really > 3 meals? And for vitamins what would you reccomend then like what type of food? Also I drink milk on a regular basis, 3 glasses a day..

Eat different food groups then. If anything your new diet is going to be even more shit as at a guess you wont be hitting 1000 calories a day.

Eat lots of lean meats for your protein and alot of vegetables, fruits and salads.

Get 0.8-1.2g protein per kg of your body weight per day, fish is very good for this so stock up on tinned tuna and skinless chicken breats.

right now you are consuming way too much carbs, why are you eating rice for breakfast?

60% protein / 20% carbs / 20% fats and 30-60 mins of moderate to instense cardio a day and you will start losing fat.

Smaller portions keep your metabolism higher and smaller meals means you eat more often so your body wont store so much of it as fat as it will know its getting food again soon.

Take multi-vitamins if you are worried you wont get enough nutrition.

Yes. 6 meals > 3 meals. Eat every 3 hours, small portions. It will raise your metabolism and your body won't store food as fat as much as it would if you did 3 meals. You need to provide enough nutrients for it to work well and see you ARE not dying by starvation (if you eat every, let's say, 7 hours your body's gonna store fat just to have something to consume in case you are starving).

I'm Asian.. and as long as i can remember my family always ate shit with rice... so yeah.
Also My family also had cases of heart disease (Dads side) so i'm also trying to fight that off when doing this.

So if i were to go 6 meals a day, what would each meal consist of? And I can do cardio for 60 minutes a day, But is running for 2 hours when i first wake up, then 1-2 hours in the afternoon pushing it? I don't want to overwork my body.

If you're trying to lose weight, you're best off joining a gym and using a cross trainer, less pressure on your ankles and joints so you wont cop out after a month and revert back to old lifestyle.

Each meal should be mainly protein based (these are examples, i use diet based protein shakes so i cant really advise you on what to eat for each meal i.e

7am - tin of tuna & wholemeal bread

10am - Few slices of chicken and some salad

1pm - Chicken breast, vegetables and a slice of wholemeal bread

4pm - (i split my dinner here into 2 meals) i.e. chicken and alot of vegetables

5.30pm - same again, the other half left over. Im not saying eat a tin of tuna for breakfast from now on, its just an example of how an eating plan would go. Avoid carbs in your evening meal, get them in morning/afternoon.

2-4 hours running is pushing it imo.

Build up cardio to 40-60 mins a day in the morning, then if you have time get another 20-30 min session in the afternoon.

ok i got a few questions for you op
1. how tall / how much do you weigh?
2. how many calories do you eat a day ?

if you want real help you need to give some of the basic info

but to lose weight you need to eat less calories than you consume 1lb of fat =3500 calories so you need to either eat less and exercise more or eat less and exercise more ...your choice

you need a diet that is manly protiene but also has fat and carbs 40%p 30%c 30%f
you will want to drink more water and NO MORE SODA
a can of pop has about 130cal and if you drink 1 a day and then stop you wouuld consume 910cal less a week
2 a day = thats half a pound a week you would lose just from not drinking two pops a day

Atm I'm Pretty short, 5"7 or 5"8 at 198 Lbs

I consume probably 2000 calories, but I burn them off so i'm either between 196-199. Also I never drink soda, been off of it for probably 5 months, last time was at party. Never Fast Fooded in awhile. So yeah Im gonna go w/>>141142though.
