You just have to tell yourself your goign to stop. That's what i did i woke up and said today's the day and since i havn't eaten any junk or soda or juice. It's all in your head.

Whenever you think about having sugary food just have some water and tell yourself you really don't want that sugary thing.

The human tongue is geared to seek out "sweet" and "fatty". However, I'm sure that "sugary foods" aren the be-all and end-all of your favourite foods list.

Just make sure that you are actually feeling full from some form of more nutritious, nourishing food that you like, enjoy the smell of, and cooked yourself so you know what went in it.

What>>47579said is accurate. Fact of the matter is you don't really need all that extra energy.

Personally if it's getting to the point of obsession I just eat the stupid sugar and work it off;

Cut the intake down by doing things like sharing the tube of mints with friends. Let yourself get that flavor in your mouth, be happy with it then go burn it.

eat something with protein every couple hours. eggs. humus. cashews. meats. goat milk. that will help keep insane cravings down. also if you stay up late that can cause cravings too.

Try chewing gum.

Try having some fruit. Usually sweet, and good for you too. Failing that, willpower.
