I'm no expert but I like to seperate my cardio and lifting sessions by a few hours for nutirtion reasons... but on sundays I have to lift and do cardio in one go, so I do lifting and then immediatley go to cardio (I get like a 2 minute break moving from the weightroom to the circuit room).
The important thing is weights, THEN cardio, for maximum fat loss. It is effectively equivalent to pre-breakfast cardio that way. If you don't have the energy for that, then it's okay to bring like a protein shake and have in between. But you probably have the energy and just need to man up.
