hi /fit/i am a complete newbie starting a running routine for the first time for the summer (no, this thread is not about how to start one). i am looking for a pair of entry level running shoes in the $50 dollar range. nothing flashy or overly sophisticated, just something that i can build upon in the next 2-3 months.note: i live in the wastelands of the midwest, so it has to be available in a major chain (finishing line for example).many thanks.
get some steel toecapped boots.
holy shit that looks horrible how could anyone keep going until it reaches that kind of state
Doc Martins. Also lead based boots work well, more resistance = more work.
Those major chain stores usually have shoes as low as $20. I don't know if you have a Big 5 out there but they're always selling cheap shoes.
get some asics. Pretty much all of their shoes are decent. The chains usually have them starting at $35.
>>138386I agree, those look awesome. They are horrible for running however and the "bouncing souls" wear out quickly.Get some new balances for running, and some Docs for going around town.
