So, /fit/, is this stuff actually good for you?

I drink it all the time because, although I love water, I need something with a fruity flavor. And this stuff tastes pretty good. And they say it's healthy, so... is it?
>> Anonymous
no, it contains small amounts of poison.

Oh, shit. No wonder I'm dead.

No, it's crap. It's Kool-Aid with some vitaminz disolved in it. Better to eat a daily multi. and drink stuff that's not bad for you.

Here's a secret: they say it's healthy so it sells.

It's not healthy. It's full of shit.

I'm drinking a XXX Vitamin water right now.

Not because it's healthy, because it tastes good.

You'll piss out the vitamins you get in that. Seriously.

OP here.

Okay, so that sucks.

Uhhm, what kind of drinks that are fruity and healthy do you guys suggest?

it has sugar, that itself should put you off if you really don't want to gain weight.

Also, just for for water or at the most some fresh fruit/vegetable juice, other "vitamin" sports drinks might claim they don't have sugar, they usually contain sugar substitute and that itself brings along a host of health concerns.

Anything thats 100% juice, preferably not from concentrate.

unless you have some food to go with the vitamins, but people mostly drink this shit like water.

also if you drink more than one a day or drink one and have a multi the same day you risk over loading on fat-soluble vitamins. which is bad.

I always see some lightly fruit-flavored water near the bottled water in stores. Probably less sugar. I used to drink some when I'd go over to my friend's house because he didn't have anything else.

I have to say, though, it really behooves you to get used to regular, plain water.

Given a choice between this stuff and soft drinks, this is probably the lesser of the two evils. That's not saying very much though.

100% pure fruit juice might be slightly "cleaner" but it still has a ton of calories.

I drink a mix of 1/3 fruit juice and 2/3 water.
