For me, sitting in front of a computer reduces my studying productivity by about 95%. As long as I force myself away, to a different room at least, I can be productive. Also, being around other people who are talking completely ruins it for me, I get absolutely no work done in that situation.
My study spot at home is sitting against the foot of my bed on the floor. It's quiet, uninterrupted, good lighting, comfortable and with none of my ultimate-weakness distractions in the room. At school I study in the library, which has similar conditions, though is less comfortable because I can't get food/drinks whenever I want.
