Hi /fit/. Looking for help & advice.

Currently; Probably 1-2 stone overweight. Just started going to the gym, on average I do about 2km running and some time on a bike. Average day = 1 hour walking ish too (to station, to work, to station, to home).

Diet = breakfast (mildly healthy cereal, no chocolate shit), probably 2-3 cups of coffee (instant, milk, sugar), lunch (sandwhich + other bits, occasionally chocolate / crisps, but always fruit), dinner (normally a full meal. varies.) Ontop of that, probably a couple of small snacks throughout the day.

My aim is, atm, to lose some weight. What does /fit/ think? Is 2km running 3-4 days a week enough to lose weight with that diet?

Shrink the size of your dinner, and blow up the size of your breakfast.

Should I go for cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast w/margarine? Somat big like that, and a much smaller evening meal (like a simple sandwich?)

You should eat the largest meal at the beginning of the day, and the smallest at the end. You can mix up your breakfast a bit if you want. Do you like oatmeal? Oatmeal is a great breakfast food. Yogurt and fruit is GREAT.

Brilliant. As for snacks, is it ok to eat apples at any time of the day?

Is 2km running 3-4 times a week good?

It's ALWAYS okay to eat a raw apple.
