I have some questions I'd like to get definitive answers on (I know I should really take these elsewhere if that's the case, but there are quite few people on /fit/ that seem to know what they're talking about, so I'll give it a shot).

First and foremost I'll post my "stats", assuming it makes it any easier to answer the questions. I'm a 24 year old male, 305 pounds, 6'0", quite a bit of muscle, very wide chest and shoulders, large arms, upper body actually appears "buff" with a shirt on, but fat city with it off. I don't have TOO much of a gut or bitch tits, but they're definitely there. Visible neck fat, probably my most self-conscious area. Want to lose this more than anything, as well as face fat in general.I have very noticeable stretch marks on my upper arms and shoulders from lifting, and slight stretch marks on the sides of my stomach, not quite "love handles" just yet, but definitely getting there. I work in the baggage department at the airport so I do a LOT of lifting all day, five days a week. No illnesses, no injuries, otherwise in good health, etc.

1) I want to try "HIIT", but I'm still kind of confused. As far as I can remember it's heavy max out levels of cardio in the morning (before breakfast) i.e. run as fast as you can until you can't go any more, rest, repeat five to seven times, increasing the amount of times as you progress. Then just before bed, lift weights. The reasoning is supposedly to heat up your muscles so you'll burn fat while sleeping, and both HIIT and night lifting will help your metabolism. Is this right? Is this advisable? I can totally do this with my work schedule, so I'm eager to try it.

2) Is it true that stretch marks never EVER go away? Will I have them for the rest of my life, even if I use cocoa butter and all the other shit that's supposed to get rid of them? I've read about some surgery/operation/whatever thing online that claims it can burn away the marks with a laser. Is this even possible or is it just a scam? I'm extremely self-conscious about my stretch marks. I haven't gone swimming since I was 18, simply because of them.

3) What is the "safe" amount of weight you can lose each week without worrying about saggy skin? I have a very large body, and I know my "frame" is always going to be large. I know I'll never be trim or toned or whatever, but I want the skin to fit my build. If I lift in conjunction with HIIT, will the muscle "fill out" any leftover skin, or will ALL the skin pretty much be left over? I'm very hesitant to lose weight at all if I'm going to look worse than I already due because of loose skin...

4) I'm a very, very picky eater. I could sooner count the foods I do eat than the ones I don't. At the same time though I don't have any gripes about eating the same meal consistently. I can keep my calories just under 2000 per day easily enough, but when should I eat chicken? When should I eat fruit? My shift is 12noon to 8:30pm. What's the latest I should eat if I go to bed around 2am? What should I stay away from at night?

5) I've heard that simply drinking copious amounts of water everyday and zero soda/gatorade/etc will naturally make you lose weight. Is there any truth to this other than the obvious part about not drinking soda?

6) Is there ANY kind of diet pill or multivitamin at all, whatsoever that actually works? I'm tempted to try evercleanse, since it supposedly targets fat that is stuck to your colon walls like "spackle or paste" (that's what it says on the radio anyway), but I'm hesitant to order of course.

7) Is there ANY fitness equipment out there (other than the obvious) that works? I'm not talking about weight lifting machines, I'm talking about stuff like slendertone (the belt thing you wear that sends electro pulses or whatever through your abdominal area).

8) Is it true that once you reach a certain weight (based on your body type/size/frame) that you lose the ability to ever get visible abs? Something about the loose skin never tightening and the reasoning behind visible abs being muscles protruding/pressing against/into tight skin? I really dunno how to word it, but you get what I'm saying.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies to this tl;dr of a post.

1. Don't do HIIT. Bo offense, but you're still a fat fuck. The only reason I say this is because you should not underestimate your weight. Do something that is easy on your joints, like cycling or swimming.
2.Stretch marks fade over time, but they will always be there. They are the scars from a time you should never go back to. They are a constant reminder of that time.
3. Safely you can lose about a pound a week. If you're worried about sagging skin, use some lotions, preferably something with shea butter, its good for the skin, but not everyone likes the smell.
4. Eat a lot of small meals a day, you need to eat balanced meals, and get over your fucking finicky eating. Chances are it has been a part of why you're this much overweight. Just another reality check. Get your fucking nutritious meals in, and don't bitch about it, it'll make everything harder.
5. Those are all empty calories. All you have is a little taste, coupled with a fuck ton of sugar. Drink water only from now on.
6. All of that shit is bullshit. Eat nutritious meals, and realize how big of a pain this is going to be. This will probably be the hardest thing you've ever done, get used to it, and good luck.
7. Bullshit. The methods are out there, they are tried and true. Get in the gym, get on the bike, do whatever you need to do. Don't fall for that bullshit on infomercials. They pray on people like you who think losing weight is going to be easy without a ton of hard work. It takes hard work, this is a truth you need to realize.
8. I have no idea, if you have below 12% body fat, you should be able to start seeing abs. As far as the skin, like you were talking about, I'm unsure of. You need to start thinking in small goals though. The abs and stuff will eat away at you. Try to set small goals to reach, and realize that this will probably take you over a year. You're looking at dropping 100+ pounds. That shit is no joke.

OP here, thanks much for your reply. :)

A pound a week huh? I don't think that's going to happen, honestly. Everyone says that the heavier you are the more immense the initial weight loss is. People at work tell me I'll lose the first 30 pounds relatively easily and very quickly. What do you think about this? Truth or BS? Makes sense I guess, but maybe not 30 pounds, even at 300+.

truth, you'll lose weight easily even if you JUST eat sensibly.

You shouldn't have too much of a pain losing 30 lbs. Just eat sensibly, and do light excercise right now. Bike around, do some walking. Like I said before, you are overweight and you need to recognize it. Don't overdo it or you probably will quit early because you will be miserable.
