Cycling does work, but you need to cycle a lot longer than you would have to run to get the same results.

Best Cardio. However, if you aren’t used to running or don’t feel like you are quite ready for that, I find that the elliptical is better suited for getting someone prepared for running than cycling. Plus, it’s much easier on your joints. Good luck!
