Hey, /fit/.

I've got an annoyingly womanly-shaped body. Big ass, big thighs, blah blah. I want to get rid of this (for obvious reasons). Is there anything wrong with my general diet that I could change?

Breakfast - Usually nothing, sometimes a yoghurt on weekends
Lunch - Usually a sandwich with two pieces of fruit. Sometimes pasta or noodles.
Dinner - Various shit. Mainly stuff with vegetables and I have a lot of potatoes. I have a lot of salads.
Snacks - Cereal, yoghurt, fruit

I also want to tone up but due to posture problems which I'm trying to sort out, my left shoulder is out of commission for most stuff. I used to do pressups and situps but I can no longer physically do pressups until I sort myself out. What sort of shit can I do?

If it's remotely important: 5'3", 8.5st (119lb)

Stop drinking soda and/or beer.
Stop eating potatoes, and shift your meal plan to have you eating more earlier in the day and less later. It's better to skip dinner than breakfast.
Buy a pair of adidas, nike, or new balance running shoes and get out there and run. Don't think about running technique or calorie counting, just run.
Specific exercises cannot reduce fat around your ass/thighs all of the fat will come off evenly over time. Getting more ass muscle will not get rid of the ass fat any faster than bulking up your arms would.

So get out there and run, if you have access to a gym use a cross trainer.

Yes, do the cardio, but I'd recommend lifting if you possibly can. Push-ups are actually harder on your shoulders than most lifts, I have a healing rotator cuff injury and surprisingly enough if I watch my form benching does not aggravate it.

It might not fix your thunder thighs but it will certainly help your posture and make you look less feminine.

The only things I drink (apart from on special occasions) are water, fruit juice and green tea.

So would a good idea be to, say, try and eat breakfast and then go out for a run early in the morning or something? There's a park near where I live so I could run about there.

Sounds interesting, I might give it a go if I can find access :/.

Yes - breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it's not one you should be skipping out on when possible. If you want to seriously raise your metabolism for the rest of the day, eat a bagel, wait 15, then go for a run. The bagel is enough to give your body some sugar, but not too much that it won't touch energy reserves IIRC. Have your breakfast after and and carry on with the rest of the day as normal.

It's good that you have a lot of fruits and veggies, but might wanna have a bit less potatoes and up the grains. Your diet might not be the best for performance, but it seems you have enough good habits. Especially with regards to beverage consumption.

Thank you very much, anon. I was planning on having morning runs anyway, so this'll be perfect. Not happy about less potatoes, but ah well, c'est la vie.
