hey /fit/, i've been going to the gym alot lately to get a bit toned up for the summer. now, i'm not super bothered about a bit of stomach, it's just kinda the man boobs i want rid of.

which equipments can i use to get rid of them? and i'm only asking because i've used most of them but i don't seem to be getting any change in my pectorals, whereas a clear definition on the arms and stomach is noticeable.

thanks /fit/

picture obviously not related.

This is relevant to my interests. Moobs are attractive though. Especially when they are lactating. Mmm...

Chest dips, bench presses, and push ups will help along with a well balanced diet.

there is an insane chest dip machine at the gym i frequent, and i'm too pussy to try bench presses at a higher weight than i'm comfortable. but i'll do so.

If you want to burn more fat, I'd say do cardio if you don't all ready. First thing in the morning is the best time. And if your diet isnt that great, just try cutting out 80% of all the carbohydrates you have. Focusing a area with weights wont make you burn the fat in that area, just make the muscle bigger.

whats the best cardio excercises to do then?

this isn't OP, i'm just in the same situation :)

Well, in the case of moobs, wouldn't losing weight technically cause flappy man boobs?

Running/jogging/sprinting are better. A thing called interval training is one of the better things you can do. For an example, lets say you rate the intensity of your running from 1-10, 10 being the hardest.

For say 4minutes or so you run at 6-7 speed, then after the 4minutes you go 9-10 for 1minute. Then either drop down to a jogging pace or have a break for about 1-2minutes, then do it again. For about 3-4 sets depending on your fitness level. After a while you can increase how many sets you do, or how long for.

If thats too complicated, just go for a 30-45minute run every morning. In the morning your stomach is empty so it burns all the reserved energy (fat).

Combine that with reduces your carbohydrate intake drastically will having you shedding excess weight in no time.

yeah we have a treadmil in my house so that's no problem, also i kinda do that interval training usually where i push myself further each time it gets nearer the 10 minute mark or 15 minute mark.

thanks for the good advice.

Not really. Combining cardio with weights & toning, it will shrink them while building definition. Its not going to happen overnight.

oh yeh, still do your pectoral exercises though. You probably wont notices the results, because if your as vain as me you probably check yourself out in the mirror everyday. Best way to notice a difference is to take a picture of yourself, then in a month or several weeks take another, compare them. and so on and so forth.

Like I said, I prefer just running on the streets, up hills, ovals, etc.etc. On treadmills it seems like its alot easier to run on, and i get alot better workout from running on the streets etc. Also, make sure to mix up your exercises.

mmhmm, i don't think i'd stop doing the weights, because in 2-3 weeks i've noticed slight definition in my biceps which is great!

and i do check myself out in the mirror regualarly but i wouldn't call myself extremely vain :p

Eh, i don't give a fuck what people say, I love checking myself out haha. The best thing is when you've been grinding a certain muscle or muscle group for weeks and then you get a compliment on it.

It's true. I mean, it's not like you are doing the work to ignore your changes. You want to see the sexiness happening. It's motivation to keep going.

anyway, just tried the treadmill in my house, EVERY footstep it creaked even with Sigur Rós FULL BLAST through the speakers.

i have a very short temper. lasted 10 minutes and couldn't take anymore of that fucking creaking. will try again later when i go to the gym or just wait until tomorrow morning and go for a run.
