Oy /fit/

I'm currently 5"11, around 250 pounds.

I've been very slowly losing weight (i'm down from 280 in February).

Just wondering, how far will just eating clean get you? I mean, people say that losing weight is 80% diet, is that true?

As far as fat people go, I don't eat terrible. Havnt been to McPukes in years and I only ever drink unsweetened tea or water cept on special occasions. I try my best to veer away from processed food, shit that comes in boxes etc, etc.

I started running, but recently aggrivated an old injury, so anything too high intensity involving my legs is out of the question for at least a month.

in terms of excercises, at least try to do some stretches and light work out that don't cause a lot of strain on your legs. Do you go to a gym, or have gym equipment?
Dietwise, I personally don't follow any strict or very detailed diets. Honestly, I just follow the food guide.
Try to buy dairy products that contain less fat, meat products that have less sodium, eat whole grain, and buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

I do have access to a gym

When i eat at home, i eat pretty healthy, most of my protein either comes from frozen seasoned chicken breast or canned tuna/turkey. I was raised on skim milk and whole wheat bread, but i switched to whole grain a few years ago. As far as fresh fruits and veggies go, I dont really have time to keep going shopping for stuff more than once a week or so, so I eat fresh stuff till it runs out and then I use frozen veggie blends.

I even take a green veggie supplement every morning that supposedly has 8 servings worth of vegetable vitamins and nutrients.

Every once and a while, i'll break and go get something unhealthy, but for the most part, the above is my diet.

cut out grains entirely? I really like that dempster's flax stuff, usually no more than 2 slices a day. That, and my breakfast is usually fat free yoghurt with a serving of uncooked oats mixed into it.

I've started a new system where whenever i think about eating but am not actually hungry, i'll boil some water and have either herbal/green tea or black instant coffee. Its been working very well so far.
