So /fit/,

I'm a little on the chubby side, but only my midriff

My legs, arms and shoulders are toned and defined, now, my stomach would like to join the limbs but unfortunately, despite also being toned and trained, is protected by a layer of fat

I'm an active individual and my week includes - Cricket training Mondays and Thursdays (6-8:30) which is fairly intense, cricket matches Saturdays and Sundays (12-8) also intense, Gym training Thursdays and every other Tuesday (about an hour and a half working each muscle group). On top of this i swim occasionally and play pretty much every other sport in leisure time

I have a fairly healthy diet (rarely eat junk food, all meals are home cooked, always have breakfast etc) and because of these factors put together i don't understand the chubby nature of my belly

I've been told it may be my age (18) and that a fair few people have my problem but once they reach 20 the problem goes away (i'm not sure if i believe this or not)

Sot i come to you, to ask for advice, How to attain a beach body for the summer and to reduce the layer of fat on my abs

(i'll post pics of me in a minute, need to find the camera)

I have the same problem.
:/

I do a lot of sit-ups and other abdominal exercises, but I'm a woman so I think it has something to due in part to water retention and baby-making. lol

Diet and cardio.

I think the amount of cricket training i do (and rugby in the winter) would class as cardio training would it not?

Or is this not enough?

Not nearly enough. 5'11" and 217 lbs. is pretty overweight. Try cutting back to 2,000 calories per day and doing cardio daily for half an hour at 80% of your maximum heart rate.

Point taken

But i don't think i'm overweight, things like the BMI scale tell me i'm obese, i'm big cos of muscle density and only my stomach has any noticable fat on it

There are far more people fatter than me

Ok. The word "chub" is used by hopeless people. Their hopelessness falls into two categories, meaning they are either:

1) A fat whore or a feminized man who isn't going to do anything about his/hers body, ever, because he/she thinks he/she is not fat, but rather, has "love handles" or "some chub on him/her". This is, of course, accompanied by a large ego, commonly known as "fatty ego". Such individuals need to be put to sleep, and by put to sleep I mean skinned alive.

or

2) A man who, for various reasons, only likes whales, and will try to defend his distorted sense of beauty, calling fat whores "big girls" or "curvy". The only cure for this severe form of brain damage is violent death.

So you see, these are all very bad words used by very bad and very stupid people, so it is best to start avoiding them while still possible.

Fortunately for me, it's true, see the above pics for proof, toned/defined legs, slight overweightedness on the stomach

you'll find millions more people overweight than me, i'm asking how to lose that fat, not loose body weight, cos my body weight is mostly muscular, thank you

I see those pictures. You see fitness, I see fat. You're probably 16% body fat. Need like 10% to get your midsection proper. Fatty.

I'm really sorry, friend, but I have to agree with some of the Anonymous here. While your legs look like they've done some moving, I'm not seeing all of this muscle tone you're going on about.
