yes but there is no standard rate at which this must occur, hence the variable of metabolism, and why he didn't say FREEZER.
OT, but freezing, although damaging at the same time, can leave everything intact and potentially stop time for that organism, i just dunno what cannot be 100% recovered or not I'm no biologist.
oh and i dont think the two statements "faster metabolism = a shorter lifespan" and "obesity = shorter lifespan" are even on the same wavelength, obesity might be a disease but its damage is indirect and accumulative, much like aging. But on a similar note, if the cell cycle and production is increased, then yes i think it comes down to a matter of the bodies effort / time. time being an individual constant. these two factors coded into our DNA. oh well.
