wrestling.
weightlifting

what these two sports have in common is that you have to fight for your life against overwhelming forces. you could say that protecting your family against a raid of bloodthirsty barbarians in the year 853 is also a valid workout.

WRESTLING

Great cardio if you can go for a whole match. Uses every muscle group if you do it right.
Would be wise to start in high school though; you don't find many wrestling clubs like you do softball clubs for adults.

I have been lifting dumbells at 45 lbs. in each hand, doing squats, curls, and bench presses with them basically untill I feel like I am about to pass out. Which is about 5-6 sets of 8

I also smoke weed and a few cigarettes (about 4 a day) and drink beer.

I am 6 feet tall and weigh 163, I am trying to gain muscle mass first and fore most. I can out run a lot of people I know that dont smoke.

amidoinitright?

not the kind of weightlifting im thinking about. 5-6 compound exercises are enough to target all muscles. maybe not all in one day, but in the scope of a week. unlike a bodybuilder i really get the impression that im getting a balanced body.

Enjor plateauing cuz you can't get enough oxygen into your blood.

Also, you may be able to out sprint your fat friends, but you'd get destroyed on long distance runs (ie cardio workouts).
