sup /fit/, curious if anyone here who lifts has any type of chronic pain (that would effect their lifting)

curious what lifting was like ontop of your pain, if it helped or if it made it worse?

I've got a pain problem in my shoulder that goes from there to my scalp, not injury related though and was told I am in no danger of injuring those muscles if I do work them out but my doctor said his only concern was the pain I would have ontop of my already slightly debilitating pain

so yea what I asked earlier, anyone lifted like that and made it through?

I can take quite abit my only concern would be if it literally made me unproductive for a few days and I wasnt a vegetable, would kind of defeat the purpose of it all

tldr halp

I am a male nurse (laugh all you want, I love it, female nurses are hot), and I worked out so hard last week I could hardly lift a cup to drink, my triceps were so sore. It took me ten seconds to reach my neck to scratch. But I still went to work, lifted people, got shit done.

Most likely your pain is due to inactivity.

Get used to pain. Make it your friend

I have a pinched nerve in my back, most likely due to functional scoliosis (I've played sports all my life and am used to only using my right side). Anyways, left arm was a world of pain, and lifting any weights made it worse.

I went rockclimbing though, and that actually helped out.
