/fit/ ive just started doing sit ups, im on about 150 - 175 a day, im slim, and defiantly not flabby, just not defined like i would like to be. basically i want to know how long ill need to do situps at my current rate to see definition.

The number of sit-ups you do isn't nearly as important as your cardio if you want ab definition; you need to lose fat.

Also, mix it up, don't just do sit-ups, you need to do as many different ab exercises as you can. Med ball sit-ups, leg raises, and "riding the bike" come to mind, but look it up, you'll find a shit-load of good ones.

lay down on your left side... push yourself up onto your left arm.... hold for x amount of time... relax..... repeat with right side

also, as much as i personally love squats (i did some out on the mall of my campus while talking with friends yesterday)

they won't help with your abs... they exercise the legs... basicly, squat as though you are going to take a shit on the ground... then stand up... repeat
