OP is an idiot

your body's absorption of protein varies from individual to individual.

I get 60+ grams of protein per meal, gained 5 lbs of muscle since the semester started.

So in about a month you gained 5 pounds of muscle? I seriously doubt that. I've talked to many nutritionists and professional athletic trainers. They all say that you really only can absorb 20-30 grams of protein at a time. And besides if people could gain 5 lbs of muscles per month then everyone would be a 250 lb body builder after just one and a half years.

60 is a bit much. The 25gram thing is a bit low. Your body can handle at least 30grams at a time, if not more.

But 60+ could end up with you just shitting out your whey protein. You'd be better off drinking 2 protein shakes at dif. times. Take one right after working out then have the other after you shower and check your email or something.

Right. It also depends on how fast you're drinking these shakes. Sometimes I'll slowly drink one after a workout over the coarse of an hour or so.. with a trip to refill it at the blender because I make about two plastic cups worth.

If you're gobbling it down in 10 minutes you may miss some.
