acne, how the fuck do I get rid of it

do I need to see a dermotologist or something?

I eat nothing but greens, lean chicken/turkey/fish/beef and only water and milk

I get in 45-60 minutes of daily cardio and get about an hour or two of sun at around noon

which is what I thought were the 3 things that caused acne, diet no sun and no exercise(no sweat no clean pores)

tldr halp

yes

I heard accutane works well.

how often do you wash your face? what do you use?
fyi, if you're a teenager it's going to be fairly bad unless you won the genetic lottery or something, regardless of what you do.

usually the standard thing that helps people out is:
salicylic acid cleanser
salicylic acid toner
2,5%-10% benzoyl peroxide
spf 15-30 moisturizer for sensitive skin (oil-free)

twice a day, and after strenuous exercise where you sweat a lot.

also you might want to try changing your pillowcase twice a week. and don't ever touch your face unless you're washing it. also if you talk on the phone a lot it might be good to wipe it down with your toner before you do so, bacteria from it can infect your skin.
and also if you have bad skin around your forehead area, try either cutting your hair shorter or washing it more often.

do not, and i repeat DO NOT go on accutane unless you have ridiculously bad skin that's seriously affecting your life.

I recommend 'Zap-It!' if you can find it.
If you can't, or it doesn't work, dermatologist nao.

oh and the things that cause acne;

overproducing sebum (natural oil shit that's supposed to moisturize your skin)
bacteria
genetics
hormones

first two are pretty easy to deal with, second two not so much. if you have teenage acne it's most likely from a mix of overproducing sebum, hormones and bacteria, so you can get rid of it more or less or at least make it milder. if you are an adult (25+) it's not so easy.

maybe this is just my experience, but dermatologists usually aren't very helpful (at least for acne), they usually are just trying to sell you something, or tell you the most basic information you can find by yourself online.

If you're doing all of these things and using a moderate amount of face cleansers (not too much, not too little) and your skin still doesn't clear up, then it's just your hormones.

I had the same problem. I did everything possible and nothing affected my skin. Conversely, I could do everything wrong and it wouldn't get worse...

Either way, when I turned 20, it finally disappeared and I have normal skin. You're probably just screwed over by genetics.

If it bugs you that much, don't let it bug you that much. It's not really a big deal at all. Oh, and worrying about it is making it worse.

DIP METHOD:

fill a basin with hot water, stick your face in it for 3-6 minutes, twice a day. this opens up and flushes out your pores. you can dip afterwards with cold if you want to close them up again.

it cleared me up, chemicals were useless and my dermatologist just wanted to sell me shit

Lol, the acne is karma for your ignorance on the issue.

>THOSE WHO HAVE ACNE MUST BE DIRTY!

Accutane is a perfectly fine drug and the side effects of it are seriously exxagerated, you will be fine if you go on it. Also, yes see a dermatologist, and your diet has no effect on your acne. Ask your dermatologist if you dont believe me.

get proactiv, or go to walmart and get facewash with BENZOYL PEROXIDE... salycilic acid just doesn't work as well.

diet has proven to have very little effect on acne. just clean your face a lot, do some opening pore methods people posted.

don't take medication, that's retarded.

Dairy products can cause acne, so can meat, apparently because of all the horomones... try switching to Soy milk, you'll get used to the taste after a while, it helped me. If you really hate that soy taste like I did start by drinking some of the chocolate stuff.

Make sure you wash your face twice daily with something that won't irritate your skin. Always use a clean towel to dry your face and use a clean pillow case every night.

I'm 14, and the other day I developed these two pimples on either side of my nose. These are the only spots I've really had since I hit puberty at liek, 11. My sister who's 16 and breaks out mega on her forehead and chin ever since she was 11, says I'm getting acne, but surely I would have got it earlier?

Also, I just accidentally popped one of them while in the shower, it has been a whitehead for about 36 hours, should I worry about it spreading? I gave it a good wash afterwards.

This person is retarded. Accutane is essentially a super-dose of vitamin A, which clears acne by evaporating the first few layers of skin. However, overdosing on a fat-soluble vitamin is an incredibly bad idea:

Accutane can cause severe birth defects, including mental retardation and physical malformations

More common accutane side effects may include:
Conjunctivitis (``pinkeye''), dry or fragile skin, dry or cracked lips, dry mouth, dry nose, itching, joint pains, nosebleed;Less common accutane side effects may include:
Bowel inflammation and pain, chest pain, decreased night vision, decreased tolerance to contact lenses, delay in wound healing, depression, fatigue, headache, nausea, peeling palms or soles, rash, skin infections, stomach and intestinal discomfort, sunburn-sensitive skin, thinning hair, urinary discomfort, vision problems, vomiting

Some people taking Accutane, including some who simultaneously took tetracycline, have experienced headache, nausea, and visual disturbances caused by increased pressure within the skull. See a doctor immediately if you have these symptoms; if the doctor finds swelling of the optic nerve at the back of your eye, you must stop taking Accutane at once and see a neurologist for further care. /copypasta

Neurological care? Over acne? No thank you. There is a topical version of accutane called Retin-A which functions the same way with almost no side effects because YOUR NOT INGESTING NEAR LETHAL AMOUNTS OF VITAMIN A, IDIOT!

Also, your acne isn't bad, regular cleansers should be fine.

Dude. This is like normal level acne for most people between 15 and 25. Stop being so vain, almost everyone has similar acne. You aren't a charity case quite yet.
