Sugar and fitness question Anonymous
Hey /fit/, question about sugar
I eat a lot of chocolate and sugary things in a day, and my diet is quite healthy and balanced apart from my keen taste for sweet snacks. I also have a very fast metabolism.

As a result of all that, I'm constantly charged and I'm always quite perked up. Thing is, I also do lots of cardio, and I've started to do lifting lately. My question is though is it unhealthy? I mean, surely it's ok for me to be eating sugary foods which give me energy, and then I use that energy to stay healthy and active?

Thanks

from a general view you are right, but you could then get into things like insulin spiking which i dont know too much about.

Try to tone down the sugar (sugar replacements, or natural sources like fruits). AFAIK, type ii diabetes is possible if you have too much sugar = your body becomes resistant to insulin or some shit. Not too sure on the specifics about it hitting skinny people, but you know what they say... ounce of prevention, pound of cure
