I used to try using my trip odometer, but it was pretty unreliable. Cars aren't really meant to measure those distances with any degree of accuracy.
Odds are you're already pretty locked in to a certain pace that you feel comfortable with. Since you run on a treadmill, you should have a pretty good idea of what that is. Just time how long you run, and do the math.
If you do live near a track, you can use that to calculate your pace as well.
