I lift weights 3 times a week (usually monwedfri) and run once or twice a week (usually tue/thur)My focus is building muscle and this is why I don't do much cardio at the moment. My question is if the little cardio I do actually affects my gains in a negative way? Is it nothing to worry about as long as I eat enough? Maybe I shouldn't be jogging for too long at a time either?
Do cardio, just don't overdo it.40 minutes, 3-4 times a week, tops.
Thanks brah. I guess I'll just stick to what I'm doing since getting enough food can be hard from time to time, maybe I'll increase cardio once I get better at eating more.
Nooo, do HIIT, long cardio sessions damage MUSSLE
My cardio session are never that long, usually. But you would say shorter HIIT sessions are better? Won't HIIT mean that I have to eat more since it burns more kcal?
Unless you're running for a long time, you should be fine with your current routine.Just keep it light.
>>477994Why would eating more matter? If you're building muscle, than you should already be eating as much as you can, so HIIT doesn't really necessitate the need to eat extra.
>>478001Well, I'm a poor student, so I try to do my best. I know what you're trying to say though, thanks!>>477998Good stuffThanks everyone!
I've just started long distance running. My muscles don't grow like they used to anymore. But I'm way more stronger in terms of low rep lifts. But I think that comes from just having build up more energy and my body just creating and using energy more efficiently.
run moar, eat moar, and lift just as much and youll probably see even better progress than you would without the cardio
>>477988no liss is better for preserving muscles
