Going keto... am I doing the right thing? Anonymous
So, I've decided to try going keto so I can cut. I'm already working out 30 minutes every day.

Anybody have any experiences with a ketogenic diet?

The only thing "wrong" with a ketogenic diet is a HUUUUGE loss of energy. Considering carbohydrates is pretty much the main source.

It's harder for your liver to process proteins. It's not MEANT for proteins, so you shouldn't force it to burn them.
Also, you're going to lose muscle as well as smell completely fucking foul.

EAT SALAD AND SUBWAY FOR A MONTH AND BE HAPPY WITH YOURSELF.

So, instead of protein he can eat fat. Eat enough protein for his requirements and fill in the cals with healthy fats.

Your liver will not fail. But according to several sources I have read, including the Arnold Bodybuilding Encyclopedia, have stated that ketosis does not completely burn fat. Ketones, the product of ketosis, are the result of the incomplete oxidation of fat cells.

You can definitely lose weight, and lose it quicker than any other way on a ketogenic diet. But it's also going to be a lot harder to keep it off than it would be if you lost it through a traditional caloric deficit.

Ken Shamrock always related.
