Running Anonymous
so i decided to get fit, i was going to run 10km today , but in the end i could only do 5km, i was totally exhausted. Afterwards i felt really good, almost like after sex , this is probably a good thing. Any recommendations what i should think about now that i've started runnign, ? how long and how often? I can feel that running probably isnt good for my knees, would better shoes help? or do i need to get those things that you put around your knees?

get running shoes, run as often as you like as long as your legs aren't hurting or you feel beat up. if you do, take a day break

I know 60/120's work good for increasing how much you can run. Also, talk or singing while running is supposed to increase your lung capacity. For me, I try not to think about running when I am. What helps me is not running around in a circle, changing the scenery might help. And yes, good running shoes help, they also keep you from getting shin splints.

Or go without shoes...
Though you probably don't want to deal with that.

Stretching before makes sure you don't get cramps while running. That or a light exercise before the run helps. It's just warming up the muscles that you want to do before any strenuous workout.
