been working out for a while, lost 75 lbs, however I think I should get into the habit of stretching every morning when I get up seeing as I really don't stretch very much at all. What stretches should I be doing?

There's been some studies recently saying that stretching doesn't help. Google 'em. It's unnecessary.

stretching _beforehand_ doesn't help. stretching _afterwards_ does help.

what they found works before are calisthentics/compound motion warm-ups, like what you'd see bruce less do to warmup before an exhibition (sholder rolls, hindu pushups, isometrics)

Wrong again fag-o. Static stretching beforehand is counter-productive, dynamic stretching is beneficial. Static stretching AFTER a weight training session is mucho beneficial. Stop spouting off shit that you're still an obvious beginner in.

I've been around /fit/ quite a while. When you make comments like that, I can tell you're really just a troll with no intentions on not being a fatass, basement dwelling, mouth breather.

That's great guys, but I'm talking about stretches to do first thing in the morning to help keep me limber.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

GTFO you stupid fucking new guy. You're obviously still a mentally deficient /b/tard, because your question has already been answered, stretching cold leads to injuries. Your connective tissue hasn't had a chance to warm-up naturally yet. So therefore, stretching in the morning = counterproductive.

Lurk the fuck more
