Belts. Do you use them? Anonymous
Looking into StrongLifts, the guy writes not to use belts.

Does /fit/ use belts when doing squatz and other exercises?

People say 'lol dont use balts' because they say you compromise form, you become dependent, etc. In my experience this is all bullcrap. I mean, look at the pros. They all use belts. But then again, they wear belts all the time in the gym, so maybe that's not a good example. But still, for the heavier lifts, when dealing with a fuckton of weight, I'd say go use a belt. When you're squatting 400+ it fucking helps.

OP here. thanks for the replies. I'll start out with no belt and once I get into the heavier weights I'll probably use a belt

If you can't lift the weight without a belt you shouldn't be doing it.
