When eating and looking at nutritional facts, should I be more concerned about the calories or grams of fat?

Keep in mind I am trying to lose weight.

(Yes, I am dieting and exercising. Weights and cardio.)

Calories.

Why are you so concerned with losing weight? You look fuckable.

Weight doesn't matter as much as general health.

Both.
And remember not to avoid ALL things with fat. Your still need to consume a sufficient amount each day.

You look fucking hot. Don't lose any more weight, instead focus on toning.

OP here, my general health is fine. I do cardio for an hour five days a week, and weight train trhee days a week.

Some fats are "good" and essential for healthy systems.

Things you should look at and are bad.
Sodium (keep within 2000mg / day)
Trans fats (fast foods)
Saturated fats (sometimes)

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, take multivitamins, lower your sugar intake, and keep training the way you already are. You look good.

fat is pure energy. The more fat, the more calories.
By reducing fat, you reduce both.

calories

stfu, people have their reasons, and people like you are fucking annoying

I always look at calories over fat. Calories is energy, and fat is just a concentrated form of energy.

Best to measure what it all ends up turning into (energy).

Okay this isn't a fun answer but:

Pick up a simple nutrition book, learn about different forms of fats, and then choose your meals accordingly. i.e. If you are eating foods with decent fat content in them, you want them to be a good source of other things too.

Common sense says...watching both is a good idea.

take calcium supplements... they'll help prevent your body from absorbing the fat
