I have a really shitty profile. As you can see, not only do I have a receding chin, but I also have the whole turkey neck thing going on (or whatever it's called). I'm skinny, so it's not a build up of fat, it's just bad genetics. I eventually want to get surgery to clean everything up, but I was wondering if any of you would know how much it would cost me.

Picture related: it's my ugly neck.

Looks like bad posture to me. PROTIP: To avoid looking like a bird, pull your head back. Shoulders too, back and down.

go see an orthodontist, if he tells you to see an oral surgeon then go see one, get braces, wait, get jaw surgery, done.

depending on where you live and what insurance you have, the surgery people might be willing to work with you to manipulate it into looking like something insurance would cover. if you have tmj problems, speech problems, sleep apnea, headaches, etc, it will make it much easier to get covered

You may consider having a decent chiro look at your neck x-rays.

You're most likely a comp nerd and thus have shits for posture, and now have a messed up neck to show for your shit posture.

i.e. get it fixed before you end up utterly farked.

I did what you suggested and, boy, do I sure look sexy.

I don't have enough money to do all that. I just wanted a ballpark estimate of how much it'd cost to get it fixed surgically (that'd include skipping braces), so I could know if my goal is actually realistic. I don't have any problems from my shitty jaw/neck, thankfully.

Forgot to upload the picture. Here were the results of pulling my head and shoulders back.

You realize that it's pretty useless to post pictures when we can't see anything but your throat, right?

if you want it surgically fixed without braces, that would probably end up with you getting a chin implant and nothing more (perhaps lipo on your neck), which will never look as natural or be as healthy as corrective jaw surgery if you do have an incompetent lower jaw. even if you don't have problems now, having a drastically incorrect bite WILL lead to tooth/tmj damage when you're older

a consult with a surgeon would cost you like 50 bucks, and only they would be able to accurately tell you the cost of whatever surgery you end up having. by the way, you have far more chance of having actual jaw surgery/braces covered by insurance than something purely cosmetic.

not OP, but I have TMJ and kind of a double chin/turkey neck

wtf kind of jaw surgery are you talking about, just fat removal or what
>> Anonymous
>>428436
obviously i can't say for certain, but for someone like op it would probably be lengthening the lower jaw bone. i had the same procedure done, nearly free due to it being at a teaching hospital. fucking awesome.

Get the neck cut off when you get money. It will only get worse OP
>> Anonymous
some tmj people who get jaw surgery can be fucked FO LIEF

at least that's what you hear people say "GET SURGERY AS A FOR SURE LAST RESORT"
>> Anonymous
I'll look into see a doctor then. So, I should see an orthodontist?

>>428432
I can't do much with a Macbook.

>>428433
I can fit just my thumbnail (and that's it) in between the gap of my lower and upper jaw if that helps you at all.
>> Anonymous
>>428452
i've heard that, pretty sure that's mostly referring to the people who have really good bites but still have tmj problems.. because then there's a problem with the joint itself rather than the balance of the jaw, and the surgery actually has to mess with the joint instead of correcting the balance

ABSOLUTELY see an orthodontist if possible, just a consult never hurt anyone.

like i said, there's nothing i can say for sure, but it's possible that your top teeth are tipped inwards or your bottom teeth are tipped outwards, creating the illusion that you have no real overbite. it's also possible that your teeth and jaws are perfectly fine and you don't need anything other than lipo or something. visit an ortho, do some googlin, there's a lot of information out there

Has it got special software to keep you from centering yourself in the frame?

> I can fit just my thumbnail (and that's it) in between the gap of my lower and upper jaw if that helps you at all.
Between your teeth? I'm not even convinced you have a problem with your jaw. Neck certainly looks weird, but without seeing your whole head and neck, who can say why?

Fuck, sorry. I meant teeth. I've been on a computer nearly every day of my life since I was about five years old; so, it's not unlikely that my head is protruding forward a bit. I still have the neck that starts at the bottom of my chin, that I'd like to get rid of.

OP here.

Assuming it's just liposuction, how much would that cost? And how about a chin implant?
>> Anonymous
>>428569

looks like turkey neck/double chin lipo isnt as expensive as other forms of lipo or cosmetic surgery but a chin implant would prolly be expensive

anyone know of a good way to work of the excess fat that can group in OP pic? (i.e. the double chin)
>> Anonymous
Dude you're just fat :/
>> Anonymous

Thing is, that might not all be fat. could just be excess skin.

ALSO YOU CAN'T SPOT REDUCE, YOU VILE SLIME

I don't really care about the receding chin much. It's mostly my neck. I think I'll start saving up for lipo on my neck. I'm assuming it'll be around $3,000-$4,000?

I was laying in my bed and I took this for fun. How I wish gravity pulled things backwards instead of downward. I also realigned my lower jaw forward a bit to get rid of the receding chin.

It's so beautiful; I must have it! ;_;

Jesus christ, generally when someone has a neck like that, their entire body is misshapen. FFFFFF
