Ok, I have a question, I'm not on steroids and plan to never use any sort of supplement and I'm stuck at my bench of 400 lbs. In b4 liar or 'roid rage, what do I do to keep getting stronger with out much bulk, I'm big as I want to be and I want to stay about the same size. Thanks. Pic certainly related, it's fucking cheese.

You're going to keep growing in size one way or the other until you top out your physical potential, which is SERIOUSLY unlikely to occur. You'll injure yourself completely first.

Try switching to bodyweight exercises. Lots and lots of them. 300+ reps. You'll go lean and incredibly dense.

It'll allow him to keep getting stronger but be the same size or smaller.

Why bother with benching? It's just chest and tricep work anyway. Do moar pushups.

Doing a bunch of push-ups isn't going to increase his maximal strength, at least not as much as continuing his bench press regimen.

Plateaus are a pretty common thing in weight lifting. One of the things I've had success with is taking six weeks or so to train differently. I'm not a bench presser, but I broke my squat plateau by doing other leg exercises and continuing to work the lower back, then just coming back to it.

Try going all out on your back. That surprisingly helped me a lot in increasing my bench.
