/fit/ I was under the impression that protein turning to fat was a myth, and if you have excess protein you will just piss it out. I plan on having Instant Casein before pre-bed post workout. Im about 150lbs and have 40g of protein a day.

fuck the survey, i upped my protein intake last 3 months and ive been consuming 3 shakes a day at least along with meat and everything. ive lost some belly fat definitely put on muscle.

Idiot. Protein is broken down into amino acids and metabolized in cellular respiration, just like how carbs and fats are metabolized. That means proteins are equivalent to so many calories. And that means if you eat too many calories, you store fat as energy.
