Sup /fit/

I've started doing press-ups recently, and although my arms aren't strong enough to let me do more than 10-15 at once, the part of my body which ends up aching the most afterwards is my abs, right low down, near my groin. The same muscles ache when I do crunches. It gets bad enough that I can't do them again for maybe 2 days.

Is this normal or am I doing it wrong? Bear in mind I do little exercise usually so it's likely most of my muscles are not used to working.

well when doing push-ups (press-ups) your trying to maintain a flat shape, your abdominal muscles play a small role in keeping your form. i think you might not have the abdominal strength to do a lot of push-ups just yet. but dont worry, the pain should go away as soon as you gain more abdominal muscle.
