Hey /fit/, help me choose a stationary bike.
I need a cheap one, because I won't be using it for actual cycling exercise - I just need it for burning excess calories, because my weight training hasn't been enough for that lately.
As of now, I'm considering getting a Proteus mini exercise bike, but I'm wary of its low price. Anything I pay extra attention to when choosing?

Thanks for the link.
As for Wal-mart - we don't have that here. I'm a eurofag.

oh..well i cant tell you too much then..

but yeah, get something comfy, get something that is durable, get smoething with variable intensity and something that fluctuate so that way you can incorporate interval training into your routine.

Could elaborate on that one? Do you mean different resistance levels?

yes. some higher end bikes can be programmed so that for minute 1-5 it is level 3 and then at minute 6-11 it will be level 15 and then for minute 12-13 it will be level 3 again and then minutes 14-19 it will go back up to a higher level..

mine does not do this. but thats what you get for a 200 dollars bike.
