Peanut butter is great for low carb dieting. Natural peanut butter has 6g of carbs a serving, which allows for 8 servings a day on an under-50g keto diet.
That'd be 1760 calories right there. You could live on PB during a keto diet and get the right fats/proteins/carbs balance. In reality, you'll mix it up with other low-carb foods, plus the usual supplements.
Weight can be lost damn fast on peanut butter, but remember that one heaping spoonful is a whole serving. I eat up to five servings a day straight from the jar. I've lost ten pounds a month.
Respect its caloric density, and you'll do well.
