Hey /fit/, I need some advice.
I weigh about 135 lbs. or so, but I have a gut and some very slight man boobs. So I keep hearing that it's best to lose fat first and build muscle afterwards. Now, I'm not sure what the best way to lose fat is. I was considering a daily diet of essentially: 1 apple, 1 3 oz. pouch of tuna, salad with italian dressing. Is this a decent diet for losing weight? I also run for about 30 minutes a day at a speed of about 4.5 mph. Please help, /fit/! Thanks.

You need more intensity, America has a bad tendency to say "oh you need to run for thirty minutes in this setting before blah blah blah". You can run like that but that better not be all, your body responds to chaotic changes rather than conditioned stimuli. RUN, run up walls, have a dog? Fucking fight that thing with your hands tied behind your back. Do crazy shit and wear yourself out. Routines and discipline are essential but your body adapts faster than you may believe.

So would sprinting help or something?

HIIT would help

4-4.5mph would be ideal for someone who is fat and could destroy their knees. You weigh 135 and are by no means fat enough to do that. I ran 4mph for 60 minutes a day when I was fat and lost about 40 lb in two and half months doing so.

Also, if thats ALL you're going to eat, you'll be in what is called starvation mode. Please, for your own sake, don't do this. You'll regret it when you either 1) want to get back to eating normally, or 2) see later on that you aren't losing weight anymore because you are in starvation mode, which means you have to eat more but will see that you don't lose weight, stay at the same amount until your metabolism goes back up, or even gain weight.
