/fit/, help me. I posted a similar topic yesterday, but it didn't get much posts.

My doctor has made me increase my calories because I was eating too little. She wants to go up only by a little a month. Before, I had been losing weight at a good rate, but now, only after increasing by 200-300 calories, my weight hasn't moved at all for five days now. I feel very discouraged and feel like just eating like I used to before. Damn it, what do I do?

if a medical professional is making you increase your calories for health reasons, then why the fuck do you think this is? how much do you weigh? jesus christ.

weight loss is a stupid stupid thing unless you weigh 300lbs and are 150cm tall. change body composition, don't lose weight. people like you annoy the fuck out of me. weight loss through starvation diets are non-fucking-sustainable. stop being such a helpless, ineffectual fuck and stop thinking that starving to death is somehow healthy and 'pretty' you piebald motherfucker.

learn how to be healthy or get it all over with and kill yourself now.

I'm an underageb&, 5'3" and 160 lb. Have gone down from 196 lb. It's my nutritionist thats telling me to increase my calories, but I'm getting really discouraged from five days of nothing. It's mainly because I run on my treadmill for an hour, and seeing nothing happening from it makes me really sad.

steady-state cardio is over-rated for fat loss. lifting uses more energy by virtue of protein synthesis, and hiit uses more energy by virtue of instensity. so take up one of these activities. these will reduce fat-mass, so you will look slimmer even if you do not weigh that much less. muscle is more dense so weighs more for less volume.

i don't particuly trust nutritionalists myself, but i am not going to tell you to stop going as you seem to have some sort of medical condition or somesuch. personally, i use something akin to the anabolic diet. but ehy.

saying that, are you physically able to train like that? the problem with the internet is that anon doesn't know everything.

What exactly do you eat before and after increased more calories?

It's not always about how much you eat but what you eat and eat smart.

lifting? I realize it's usually pretty necessary for weight loss, but I don't want to remain 5'3"... I'm only going to get to 5'8" as it is, don't need to be any shorter.

this is what I used to eat (starts from breakfast to dinner):

bowl of special k with skin milk
pretzel (school lunch sucks)
cup of rice with vegetables and meat

Nutritionist said that was only like 720 or so calories. So, she wanted to bump it up to 1050 or so. I don't think I'm even eating that much yet (like 950-1000). This is what I eat now:

breakfast - bowl of some Kashi cereal (looks like bird or rabbit food, it has 13g of fiber and 11g of protein)
lunch - apple, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, yogurt, carrots
dinner - cup of rice with vegetables and meat

So, yeah.

Your weight will not change that much in 5 days. You have to be patient when you are altering your body. Whatever you eat or don't eat will be on your body 3 days after the fact. If you eat a pound of chocolate now, you'll feel like shit now, but won't see the additional pound of fat on your body until 3 days later. Only weigh yourself once a week.

Shut up and listen to your doctor. People don't go to school/residency/internship for 10+ years just to have some fucking underage b& ignore their sound medical advice.

Hmm, both of these breakfasts sound unbalanced almost no protein or essential fats

Add eggs (whites) to the breakfast, dump them in the cereal if you don't like the taste. I'd suggest oatmeal instead but w/e.

Ditch the yogurt, add fish oil (2-3 caps) and flax oil (2 caps).

Have one small snack inbetween brkfst-lunch and one after lunch.
examples:
almonds, nuts, tuna chicken turkey w/ fat-free mayo sandwich, green beans, kidney beans etc

Change the exercise routine if running is all you do add some jumping jacks, mountain climbers etc

Read website like these because every few weeks the body get adjusted to the routine and that needs to be revised.
