/fit/ for a fem who's working on cutting i can never seem to get the amount of protein I need for the day. in short of taking protein shakes and shoveling canned tuna (I don't like enough for that) what are some good protein sources?i'm only 5'4 so my BMR isn't that high. Recently i've been getting my protein from eggs, cashews, and turkey breast/fish.

Peanut butter.Have peanut butter and carrots for a snack. Make sure you only eat one or two servings when you do this so that you avoid the fattiness.Nuts are good sources of protein...agh shit, why aren't you using google?
Cashews (and other nuts) really don't have that much protein and are more of healthy fat and vitamin E source than anything. Egg whites and chicken breast are good sources of protein which aren't too high in calories due to their low fat content. You can make huge omelettes (which will still be low calorie) with a whole egg and a few egg whites to get something a little less bland than plain egg whites.
Same height and gender as you. I add a cup of nasty protein powder to a normal shake and use a ton of ice so it's slushy and filling and tolerable. I also like the taste of Cliff's Builder Bars, so that's often my lunch.
I do use google just thought i'll try here to see if there's anything else I missed. Thanks for the input. guess I'll try protein powder hopefully it won't mess me up any.Now to look for nuts that have higher protein than the ones I use then.
