Hello /fit/,

I am 5'9, 240lbs, and up until three weeks ago I was very inactive. I used to eat fast food every day and drink a 12 pack of soda a night.

I completely cut the fast food and soda outta my diet, and started eating better food. (More fiber, less calories, saturated fats, etc.)

The problem is, I haven't lost hardly any weight. Is this normal? I've been doing this for three weeks straight and lost a total of 5 lbs.

Any ideas?

Exercise more and eat less than 2000 calories a day, genius. Fat doesn't go anywhere if you don't use it and keep replacing it. You need to consume less in a day than you use.
