Atkins Diet Anonymous
Alright /fit/, I have been eating healthy for almost 4months now and going to the gym for 2months. I was dropping weight pretty steady but now I have been stuck 187 for 2weeks now. The only place where I still have noticeable fat is on my stomach that just wont seem to go the fuck away.

Starting to loose focus and was wondering if anyone has tried Atkins and actually KEPT the weight off they lost when going back off the diet and just eating healthy. Really need something to boost my spirits -_-,

when you reach a plateau you should do something drastic,so your body breaks through it. This generally means switching up your routine- I suggest, running 10miles a day (in one session) for a week, with no other form of exercise.

good luck!

Don't do Atkins. It is heavily criticized by nutritionists for several reasons.

The most important you might be interested in is that once you go off Atkins, you're going to immediately gain it all back. That's in very basic layman's terms.

Doesn't matter what the diet is. If you go off it, you gain the weight back. Period.

Go back to old habits, and you will go back to your old body. No exceptions.

Anyhow, I've done keto diets before, mostly those by Lyle McDonald. Atkins isn't really a strict keto diet, but close enough to tell you this: there's no harmful side effect, and you will not gain shit back if you make a successful transition to a better lifestyle.

I hear the healthy-and-well-rounded(HAWR) diet works well

Don't listen to any of these faggots
TOTAL BULLSHIT
I weighed 213 and I got down to 160
then i started lifting and I'm at 170 now

Trust me the Atkins diet can work as long as you have will power of course

Atkins is a temp solution, since the diet is really terrible for your health.

you never want to go on any kind of a diet anyways, it's about adopting a healthy lifestyle and eating right all the time. Cut out flour sugar and alcohol, eat most of your carbs in the morning, dinner should be lean meats and veggies.

Be paitent OP, the gut is the very last place guys lose. Work harder at the gym, circuits and intervals, really push yourself, you'll get there.

It can work, sure you lose weight, but it is totally terrible for your body, (overloads cholestrol, prions, and fats, decreases your ability to absorb nutrients, increases risks of gout).

You have very well defined fat. Its creeping me out a little bit.
