Is a workout routine personally designed by a professional trainer replaceable?

It's not that I'm really, really poor, but if I can get the all the information from trusted sources for free, I'd rather avoid paying for it. And if these trusted free sources exist at all, you'd have my gratitude if you could redirect me to them.

Sure, you can design your own workout with some research.

The problem is, if you are new to training, it's going to be difficult to learn the correct form for each lift/exercise without someone to show you. That's where a trainer comes in.

Ive been working out for couple years now..And i went from weight lifting to endurance workouts. And only until recently have i actually decided to do my own routine.. But for some time i had an issue of Muscle and Fitness november 2007 i think and it gave out workouts targeting each muscle group for all types of workout styles such as beginner/at home/endurance/strength training

yeah, what this guys says. listen to anon, anon.

research is the key though. i injured a hamstring because i did too much knee flexion as opposed to hip extension and i run. but i learnt what the problem was online and solved it accordingly.

can you store all that relevant experience and inspiration in your head for when you want to give up, when THAT'S the moment to push harder?

That's what your paying half your money for.

no personal trainer was ever able to motivate me more than myself. i think they're completely over-rated and most of them don't even know how to squat properly. fuck 'em is what i say.
