I use Egg Beaters (pre-packaged egg whites) simply because I can more easily get some morning protein while still allowing me to eat some shredded wheat cereal. I eat the equivalent of 4 egg whites.
Like others have said, if you exercise, you probably don't have too much to worry about. Egg Beaters are just a bit easier to work with; very little cleanup, and you can just microwave a bowl of the stuff and go.
