is jogging <2 miles per day even worth it, /fit/?

It depends. What are your objectives ?

If you are just starting getting healthy.. well you have to start somewhere. Try running 45 minutes at least so your metabolism can kick in and start burning fat.

2 miles isn't much but it depends on your current physical condition. And this will improve so well.. google:Couch potata guide.

I've lost 60 lbs. over the last year from diet and exercise (155 lbs. now, 5' 11")

I originally would jog 3.5 miles per day (1.75 in the morning, 1.75 at night), and then I switched to HIIT every morning (eventually worked up to 10 minutes) but came to hate it; I would fear waking up because I knew I'd have to do it again

At this point, I really just have no idea what to do, so all I can muster the balls for is a meager morning jog

pretty pathetic

I was also like you, only I freaked out and starved off forty pounds in the span of four months.

I ran about two miles every night, but then I eventually stopped, and took up lifting.

If you fear putting the weight back on, as long as you don't go back to your old habits, you won't balloon back up.

If you honestly don't like it anymore, just stop.

And start doing SQUATZ

I'm so tempted to

Nowadays, I eat neurotically healthy for the most part and don't eat any sweets/soda/cheese/etc., and I bike ~15 miles every few days (to+from the beach or work); my only bad habits include sleeping about 4 hours every night and drinking (only straight spirits) on the weekends

I know if I stop, though, I'll feel worse than if I keep going, even with a pathetic routine

>even with a pathetic routine

If it makes you feel better, you exercise more than half of the planet with that routine.
