Sup /fit/

I'm trying to lose weight, in a somewhat timely matter. I am overweight (210) and 5'10" in height.

I'm at the gym 5-6 days a week, doing 30 minutes of cardio (bike, elliptical, treadmill) and at least 30 minutes of weight training, both free weights and nautilus system.

Also eating better, no soda, more water, more veggies and fruits, along with a balancing of all the food groups. I've been watching calories as well, and trying to split up my meals across the day.

Problem is, I have yet to shed any pounds from my midsection. I don't know what to do besides increase my workouts even more than I am already to maybe a good brisk walk during the evening as well, as well as some at home weight training and situps/pushups. I have also yet to lose any "weight" as well, since starting working out a month ago. I still show up as 210, but with bigger muscles in my arms and legs, but pretty much no progress in my stomach area and lovehandles.

Any advice you can give me, please. Anything from what specific calorie intake to extra exercises to do on my stomach to get rid of this flab, I'm willing to do it.

pic unrelated.

It depends on how long you are doing this routine.
If it's only been a week then you will have ways to go.

The best bet for anyone trying to lose weight is to not measure results in pounds lost. It takes a long time to lose weight.

It's better to measure your progress by seeing how you can run further/faster, or lift more weights. If you focus on these goals you will stay motivated as they will show improvements quicker than just seeing how much weight you have lost.

Been over a month so far. The first month was just getting up to par on most machines, as even running a mile at a jogging pace was impossible. I can easily jog 2 miles without having to rest, both on a treadmill and on a track.

I know pounds aren't a good way to estimate fat loss, especially when you're putting on muscle, so I understand why the scale would stay the same while I'm gaining muscle in my arms and legs and chest, and losing fat from those areas. I can also feel my abs getting stronger, but the fat covering them has yet to go away at all. I've used a tape measure and measured my stomach, and it's the same size that it was when I started.

I'm just pissed because I feel better, feel healthier, but I'm still lugging this fucking spare tire around, and it won't go anywhere. If I had lost even half an inch in a 1+ months, I would be happy knowing what I'm doing is working, but it has yet to do that.

I'm just worried I'm focusing on so much other stuff that this spare tire's going to be with me until I dedicate time to it specifically with different ab exercises than I'm already doing.

One other thing to keep in mind man, is that people tend to lose weight LAST in the places they gain FIRST. For a lot of guys it happens to be in our ab section. When I was on my first weight loss journey, I watched my arms/legs/face slim down a lot in the beginning. It wasn't for a long time that I saw my mid section look visibly different. As long as you know that you're kicking but in diet and exercise, don't worry about it for a while.
