Ok fit i'm seeking some diet and exercise advice. I don't have a pic of myself but my build is similar to the pic, except my shoulders are broader, if you were to compare me to a shape i'd be a square. I'm 5' 11", 22 years old, and weigh roughly 325-335 depending on the scale, my bones are very large and dense (what i've been told by doctors), and according to a little body fat machine i used in a college PE class have 40 pounds of fat. I've never strength trained before, but i'm already pretty strong from the different odd jobs i've done while growing up; like logging, landscaping, and construction. My diet is trash (mainly fast food), and the little bit of exercising i do consists of running a mile or so on an elliptical a few times a week. My main goal is to lose the fat on torso, especially my chest, and build my shoulders. I figure i might as well work on complementing the body i was born with. So, can i get any tips on diet and work outs f?

I was up to 350 when i started running, but my progress has been slow seeing as how i ran for about a month then quit for 2 because i got busy with classes, and now i've started running again. My weight has remained fairly stable since i quit.

This will sound like a god damn /fit/ meme, but try eating some oatz for breakfast with some fruits and a cup of coffee.
By eating a big breakfast you get enough energy for the rest of the day and you avoid eating big portions of food too for the other meals. And please avoid fast food and soda. Try some lifting too. At least 3 days a week, go with a personal trainer; he should be helpful =). Keep going, never backdown etc

The main reason i want to lose weight is to join the military in about a year or so after i finish with college classes. So nobody here on /fit/ wants to give me some good advice? :(

Ah, thanks for the info. What exactly do you mean by oatz? Like oatz cereal? Also, what kind of lifting do you think would speed up my weight loss the fastest if combined with my running?

1st off cut the bullshit "cute" internet personality you've got going here, I'm sure you say shit like "sir" in real life too.

2ndly, in the morning eat things like oats, bagels (with healthy spread on them), cheerios, grapes. You need a LOT of cardio. Start with a bike, once you reach about (sorry to say) 275 or so start jogging. Shadow boxing is decent cardio, not matter how gay you feel doing it.

I wouldn't worry too much about weight lifting right now, the fat you're wearing make good body weights.

Thanks for the after pic, thought I was hoping for something much more awesome.

Got ahead of myself. For lunch, try a peanut butter sandwich with bananas in it. Stop playing video games. Being stationary for that long will only fuck you in the ass harder. Stay away from all drinks except water. It will suck at first, but soon enough you'll grow very fond of it. Every time you start to pussy out ask yourself why the fuck you even started in the first place. Try and stay on a 2200 calorie diet, once you get a move on, but being that heavy you probably eat 4k or more. Bring it down to 3k until you lost about 30lbs, then try taking 800 calories out of the equation.

Also, you should start a blog. Take pictures every 7 days and keep it open to the public. Maybe you'll feel like you have a promise to keep. Good luck.
