sup /fit/
i have a dilemma. I am somewhat pearshaped with a (little) tummy. I would simply get a fitness trainer and get rid of my thighs and tummy, except for the fact that i enjoy having breasts. I'm currently a size six, and I would like to be around a size two or four. Is it possible for me to lose the weight on my lower body without losing my curves?

We need a picture of yourself to determine what you need.

No. Maybe. You can always gain it back again, right? How about building a firm foundation then seeing how you look?

What i've circled in green is what i DONT want to lose. what i've circled in red is what i'm attempting to get rid of. most of my body weight is in my hips/ass and i'm afraid if i lose all that weight i will go down to an A cup. i painted over the nipples lol i'm not sure what the rules are on this board.

No, you cannot spot reduce.

Usually, thighs etc. are the hardest place to lose fat for a woman. Especially with your pear shape, its' likely that your lower body will always be large and like an hourglass (good thing!)

Also, about the breasts...I'm sure you'll see a decrease in size, but if you lose the weight in a HEALTHY manner, your body won't cannibalize the actual breast tissue (like you see in people who lost weight due to not eating... I call it anorexia boob).
tl;dr, no you can't spot reduce, yes your breasts will shrink, but not as much as you think.

the best part about doing weights and cardio to lose that pear shape is that your breasts will be perkier and more awesome!

uhh...

in that body fat distribution type (that you would call pear), the body WILL prioritize fat loss, and it WILL come from breast tissues before it comes off of hip/upper thigh, as that is the fat distribution pattern possessed by OP. its the opposite for what is commonly known as "apple"

If it came down to A cup or pear shaped, which would it be? If you're in good shape and carry yourself well, I don't think it much matters whether you stay like you are or get thinner. You're a pretty good size already. What makes you think skinny you would be an improvement?

I know you're going to hate me for this, but I had fatty thighs that I lost fat from due to bike riding (on a setting where it worked out the muscle). building muscle will use up fat.

Keep in mind the "apple" shape of "apples" is from high insulin spikes (thus fat gets stored in abdomen).

No, it will not NOM NOM NOM all the breast tissue. There's FAT and BREAST TISSUE. Breast tissue is... well, fibrous tissue, the pec muscles, etc... of course she'll lose fat from there, but not the actual breast tissue. It depends on how much you have there, that's why some skinny bitches have nice tits, because of the tissue amt they possess

Incorrect. Building muscle does not "use up" fat.

Muscle is muscle and fat is fat. One is not converted into the other. Muscle uses glycogen to fuel itself.

More than likely you gained some muscle and then lost some fat. Ta-da!

i don't think it's because of weight gain, i have been around the same size in jeans/same weight since i was seventeen and recently my breasts grew to C cups. MIRACULOUS!

lol @ apple
i'm not quite an apple or a pear. i'm kind of like... evenly distributed...not super skinny waist, kind of a big ass, and d titties.

oh christ, get off it. of course we are talking about the catabolism of adipose tissue (in the breast) and NOT the fucking specialized organ tissues themselves....

Okay, I'm off it.

But like I said... it will shrink your breasts.

Question 2
will they sag after said shrinkage? D:
>> Anonymous
>>434897

no, i don't think so. time, gravity, and weak muscles do that.

so if you have decent pec muscles, no they won't sag because the muscles will help pull them up.

could be wrong on this, but when I started working out mine perked up (:

I wish I had the photoshop skills for this, but upon reading this post I immediately thought, "You're a wafer!" with a pic of a vanilla wafer imposed over a very plain girl (no offense).

My loud chuckle attracted a bit of attention from my library surroundings.

It depends on the condition of the skin pre-weight loss, and whether any sagging is already present.

In the pic you posted, it looks like you have nice, attractive, perky breasts. This probably means that the skin on your breasts is still elastic and in good condition. So, I think that if you lose weight at a reasonable rate, your breasts will not get saggy--your skin will tighten up to conform to your new breast size.

I think that breasts getting saggy after weight loss is really only a concern for women who had HUGE breasts prior to weight loss, since the skin would have to shrink a whole hell of a lot. It would probably also be an issue for women who already have saggy breasts, or who have stretch marks or thin skin on their breasts, because that means the skin on their breasts has already lost its elasticity and is too stretched out to ever "snap back".

I am regrettably in this latter group. I really want to lose weight, but I'm terribly afraid to do so because I'm afraid that it will make my already mediocre-at-best breasts look even worse than they already do. But, someone like you should be fine. Just lose weight at a reasonable pace and I think your breasts will be fine.

Offtopic, but does breast skin (or all skin for that matter) really lose elasticity over time and if so how bad are the effects?
I'm only worried since I figured that being a size A I might be able to avoid saggy breasts when I got older.
>> Anonymous
OP assuming you're not a troll, you have a good body to begin with. I can't say for sure what the effects will be if you started exercising regularly, but I know you have no reason to complain at the moment.

small breast are better......perky pert firmies....small breast with a still small but slightly larger than the breast ass....that is perfect........

Yes. As humans age, the collagen and elastin in the skin breaks down, and skin gets all loose. That's why old people's faces look like wet paper bags draped over a skull.

If you are an A cup, however, the eventual decrease in elasticity of your breast skin should be much less dramatic than someone who is a C or D cup. Of course, this also depends on whether or not you ever plan on having kids--if you ever do, your breasts will get bigger thanks to pregnancy. How much bigger they get is uncertain. If your breasts get very large in a very short span of time, your breast skin may get stretched out too quickly and lose elasticity, which could leave you with breasts that look like fried eggs nailed to a wall after you are done with pregnancy or breastfeeding. This is an extreme-worst-case-scenario, chances are it won't be that bad. You may be lucky and your breasts won't sag at all after having kids, but most women's breasts do end up sagging after having kids or with advanced age.

Forgot to add, but other things affect how long your skin remains elastic as well. If you are a smoker, or have a poor diet, or don't drink enough water, etc., all these factors will expedite the eventual decrease in your skin's elasticity. Your genetics also plays a factor too, but since you can't control that, just try and focus on the things you can control.

If anyone tells you cup size only shrinks when you work out, don't listen to them.
I know plenty of women whose cup sized INCREASED over a period of a couple months from working out.

You could bench if you wanted, it would make your pecs bigger, which would make your breasts bigger.

But in all honesty, you look fine now, I wouldn't lose more than 10~ pounds if I were you.
