Hay /fit/. 19/M here.
I'm not exactly out of shape, quite slim actually due to a fast metabolism. I don't do much exercise but I want to start before it's too late. Due to my asthma, which was worse as a child but not too bad now, I drain pretty quick when doing things like running.
I mainly wan't to work on my arms and chest/stomach as my legs are quite muscular as is.
I've started doing 10 pushups & 10 situps in the morning and late at night, resulting in 20 of each per day. I've been doing this for about 3 days now and when I do it now my arms and stomach are hurting like shit, is it safe to carry on assuming it's just the muscles aren't used to the exercise or will I cause any damage?

So anyways is this ok for the results I'm after, and is there anything else I should be doing?

You aren't giving yourself recovery time, that's your problem. You should do it every other day, and I recommend resting the whole weekend.
