protein & weight gainer shakes Anonymous
hey /fit/,

i started adding a banana and substituting whole milk for water when I make my proten shakes. using the powder with just water is fucking gross and I got tired of it.

does /fit/ see any reason why I should or should not do this? The caloric intake is higher I'd assume, but that's not really an issue since I'm a skinnyfag (5'10" 135lbs)

i also started taking weight gainer using a banana and whole milk. I drink the weight gainer twice a day (morning & midday, sometimes after dinner) and the protein shake after workout.

Trying to make gains? Skip the weight gainer, it's terribly expensive and I'm convinced it's just saw dust.

Go for whole chocolate milk, add the banana, your protein mix, a scoop of ice cream, peanut butter, and a few chunks of ice. That'll put you over.

Just eat more, bottom line. Make a lot of brown rice and eat yams. ROW ROW.

Are you using anything other than skim milk? If so, then switch. Anything but skim milk has extra fat that is bad. Skim milk has the great protein, taste, and other nutrients of milk without the huge amount of fat that 1% and 2% and whole have.

I know you're trying to build muscle but you want more protein to help with that, not bad fats. Get your fat from plant sources, not animal sources.

OP here. I'm using whole milk. I usually don't drink skim or 1%/2%. Stuff tastes gross, but I guess for this purpose it is better than plain water.

ITT: Stupid motherfuckers don't realize that this is the case. That's a post workout protein shake, but the suggested "throw plenty of high calorie shit into a blender and then eat the blender" method someone suggested is peachy for a big calorie boost. I do something like this at breakfast as well has having my OATZ.
