hey /fit/ quick question

when im lifting, should i be breaking my sets up?

For instance, instead of doing 4 sets of 12 curls, should i do 1 set, then another exercise, then another set etc.? Ive noticed alot of guys at the gym doing just 1 set of exercises. Just curious. Thanks, have some tits

There is a concept called a superset. It involve doing multiple lifts in sequence. For example, 1 set of curls, then within a minute, 1 set of tricep extensions, then within a minute, 1 set of shrugs, then rest. Repeat until you have completed 3 or 4 or however many sets of each lift you are working for. Look it up. I really like it, it keeps the heart rate up and you can get more lifts in.

also, you meant 'a lot' not 'alot.'

but I guess I meant 'involves' not 'involve' so I'm a retard too.

What is the benefit of doing this, or is your last sentence the only real benefit?

I'm really not sure. I've been doing supersets since high school and I don't remember why I started. The point is, that may be what you see people at the gym doing. If it sounds interesting, google it (supersets, super setting). That's all I got.

one set to failure is all you need. take it to negative and static failure. you'll need a partner to help you
