So, /fit/, I did some HIIT stuff on a bike today and Tuesday.
I tried a different routine each time, but both times my calorie count was lower than when I'd just go at a moderate pace for 10 minutes straight.
So, amidoinitwrong?

Obviously. Try setting the resistance really high when you do the high intensity parts and try to go faster than you were on the low intensity low resistance.

HIIT burns most the calories after the actual workout, not during, where steady cardio burns close to nil once you're finished.

You should definitely be burning more calories than the same amount of time @ moderate intensity. Are you about to keel over on your sprint phases? If not, you should up the intensity. If so, then you're doing it right and you needn't worry about the calorie counter.
