Power lifters are fat and un-athletic.

Lifting shirts are cheating.

Yeah fucking right. They are top heavy slow, and in most cases very stupid. Retard strength don't mean shit when you can't fight.
I beat the shit out of two kids in my school that looks like Frankenstein fucked a gorilla. I'm 6' 140lbs.
Size doesn't mean shit, in fact the thinner you are the better you can fight, due to being able to actually move.

i lol'd. Buddy you couldn't swat a fly. Nevermind these 300 pound gorillas who can bench press your fucking house.

>Size doesn't mean shit, in fact the thinner you are the better you can fight, due to being able to actually move.
thats why all fighting sports have weight categories
so that the little guys don't beat up the big guys
>> Anonymous
You're kidding yourself if you think powerlifting strength wouldn't apply to fighting strength... the ability to move massive amounts of weight in big, compound movements would definitely increase your ability to wrestle/punch/manipulate someone else.
Brute strength isn't the entire picture of course; agility, speed, and technique are also important... but for those of you who weigh and lift half of what these guys do... good luck bringing them down with your superior twig skills.

Don't know some of my one rep maxes, but..

Yeah, and I remember that one time I beat the shit out of GOD by ramming his stupid ass with a photon torpedo. He couldn't do anything against me despite...

Get the picture you butthurting niggerfucker? Attempts to look tough "ON THE INTERNET" are doomed to failure from the very start. Go back to fapping to furry porn and stop pretending you are thin and healthy, you fat nigger bastard.

Jealous bodybuilders are jealous.

Torkel, the patron saint of all things manly, would launch your stupid asses into space if you talked this shit to his face. The point is, you won't.
>> Anonymous
You think all your weak ass punches would even phase him? His skin is thicker than a rhinoceros' hide. Even punching his head wouldn't work - his neck would never budge and in order to knock someone out you have to cause minor trauma to the brain.

You want to talk about how you'd hit him and he'd go down? You are a delusional fool.

also, forgot pic of Saint Torkel's awesomeness.
>> Anonymous
>>58183
Look at his shoulders. Bigger than your fucking torso. Yes, some of it may be fat, that doesn't make him slow. In order to grow his fast twitch fibers had to be activated. In other words he could with a little training throw a punch faster than a body builder could ever dream of.

In the civilized world we do not use our strenght for anything.

Oh wait, most of you are blue collar slobs.

And Torkel was a great fucking guy too. I don't deny that bodybuilders can be great guys and gals too, but most of them get into it out of vanity. Most enter and leave the meet with the same fucking "I'm better than you" attitude even when they lose.

Strong men like Torkel are passionate during their meets and preparing for their meets, but they don't leave with some cocky attitude, even if they win! They go and get ready for next time.

Off the mat, a powerlifter is focused on community building and inspiring others to become strong. Body builders are only looking to inspire themselves and build themselves up.

You dumbass. This thread is about the difference between POWERLIFTING and BODYBUILDING.

God damn it.
>> Anonymous
It's all about finding the perfect balance between being strong and looking good.

Who wants to look really good but benching 20KGs max and having to change the subject when someone asks him about his lifting stats, and of course everyone is going to think bodybuilders lift like they look.

Then again, who would want to lift 300KGs but be big and fat, with little to no visible muscle. Your lifting stats won't do you much because everyone is gonna perceive you as a fat fuck.

Not to add that most of the so called powerlifters these days break the myth of wide-shouldered, big strongmen completely. Now it's mostly about scrawny fucks that couldn't endure the bodybuilding diet or something similar, so they started calling themselves powerlifters and saying how bodybuilders suck.

So, looking great and benching 200KGs > Looking better than that and benching 100KGs + Looking like a fat shit and benching 300KGs.

I am 26
right now I weigh 92kgs
Squat max 160kg - with a belt
Bench Press max approx 145kg - with no help
deadlift max approx 200kg - with a belt, without straps
And I have been working out for 7 years.

I havent maxed for while, but its around those numbers. Im really glad my benchpress has gotten alot more stronger..
The other day I benched 3x5x115kgs and 2x5x120kgs without help.
Im not that big, but I have always been buildt small - but Im having alot of progress. And yes I am fat - weightgainer to blame for that ;)
Keep up the good work all'y'all!
Eleiko weights rock!!

that's your personal opinion
if someone cares only about looking good, fine
if someone cares only about lifting a lot, fine
if someone wants a combination of both, fine

it's been recently found that obesity (unless its morbidly obese) does not necessarily have a connection to overall health. Still, being overweight usually means you eat foods high in saturated fat and trans, so you really are unhealthy if that's the case, if not you can just lift big weights and look like the Michelin man.
