>>440918 the thing that you can do for yourself cut your consumption of carbs. i am moving away from eating carbs myself and it's annoying at first but now i don't really want them as much. carbs are basically grass, something you are not equipped to digest. True, we humans have managed to produce it in large quantities through agriculture but we still have to process them like crazy just to make them edible, and then we get the wrong nutrients. You'd be better off cutting carbs from your diet so that you eat them only to help your body recover (like on the weekend in-between work outs.)
Now if you went vegetarian you would be cutting protein from your diet (except for maybe soybeans, etc.) which is one of the most important and useful types of food. You ever seen the starving kids from developing nations with the swollen bellies? They have Kwashiorkor, which is caused by protein deficiency plus starvation. Protein, particually animal protein, is used to make the amino acids that your body cannot and without them you are in deep shit. Protein can also be used by your body for energy, so at that point you basically need vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables and you're set. You are not some starving African child but cutting meat from your diet does more harm than good. Focus more on eating protein and less carbs.
