Has anyone tried 'roids?
Experiences? Problems? Recommendations?

My flatmate really wants me and him to do 'em.
We worked out at the gym every day and we know what we're doing when it comes to routines, sets, reps and whatever, as well as dieting properly, protein intake, supplements like creatine and so on and so forth.
We worked out solid for 3 months and noticed a difference but not incredible ones.

My flatmate would take steroids without hesitation, quoting amazing gains in strength, muscle mass and fat loss etc, in 3 weeks. I'm more worried about the side-effects.. The only thing that is stopping him is buying the stuff, saying it's illegal to sell but not to take them in the UK (Britfag here).

GTFO.

You are not even close to your maximum potential. Lift harder.

OP here.
Well whatever, it's more like four but yeah I guess that's not very long. I just wanted to know what everyone's experiences are with steroids, not alternatives to using it.

the advice in this thread to wait is good. 4 months still isn't shit. You guys would be destroying your bodies before even having a chance to build a proper platform out of them. Anything worth having is worth working hard for and all those fucking cliches that are actually TRUTH.

---

That said - my experience has been that every individual reacts differently to steroids. It depends on your personal chemistry, on what mix you use and what dose, and on how well constructed those doses are. Remember that this is an unregulated industry so you could be shooting a needle full of mostly water, mostly hydrochloric acid, or some really great sustan./d-bol.

I've known people form whom it works extremely well with very little side-effect other than long-term permanent liver damage after a few cycles.... all the way up to people who experienced *permanent* personality changes and/or heart problems because of it.

The two cycles I tried when I was a stupid 22-year-old wanna-be UFC fighter were effective... and scary. I don't like what it did to my personality during that time *and* it permanently tweaked my liver enzymes to where I still test out of the range of normal today and I'm 31.

Best advice - it's generally not worth it... but the truth of the matter is that you could be mostly "just fine" depending on who you are... and they certainly DO WORK very well.

Small quantities of steroids are not going to kill you, or cause roid-rage. Stacking steroids and injecting needle after needle into your ass is going to cause a lot of problems.

Steroids are for guys whose bodies and genetics have been pushed to the absolute limit after years of training. They've plateaued even after changing up their exercise routine and diet every way imaginable. Very few people will get to this point because it takes so much time and effort.

You should only take steroids if you're at or very near this point, and if you need more strength in sports. If you work a desk job or behind the counter, don't take steroids.

I highly recommend them.

best and most accurate advice yet.

Are you really that disgusted with your body image that you are willing to do irreversible damage to it in order to appease your fragile ego?

Lift for a few years, and see where that gets you first. Professional athletes and bodybuilders work out and train for at least a few years before even touching the stuff. I don't know why so many teenagers are rushing to fuck up their bodies with cheap Mexican steriods. (you're British, so I guess you'll get cheap shit from a former Soviet state)

Don't come to /fit/ for steroid advice. Go to a doctor or to a website that specializes in that shit. (tnation?)

That shows how much Americans know about Europe.
>> Anonymous
>>88988
Please enlighten me on your shitty little island. And even though the UK is geographically Europe, it isn't culturally Europe. For instance, most Europeans speak at least one other language besides their native tongue. But most Brits, like Americans, only speak English.
>> Anonymous
>>88998
Because, um, their native tongue is that one most widely spoken as second tongue?

Holy shit, how do you manage to breathe all by yourself?

Steriods are bad hmmmkay? And dont give me that '' its taking it to the next step'' bullshit. It shrinks your nuts the size of skittels and crumbels your bones and acne all over your back. I dont even see the appeal of being xbawks hueg its discusting srly.
Steriod users, no mather what you tell your self all those muscels you got are cheated.. you suck!

Anyway, I'd never use it even though I'm a ecto and have a hard time bulking.

Are you OP? If so, it looks like you're just getting all asshurt because everyone is telling you not to use the shit until you've hit your maximum potential.

Britain isn't a part of Europe, just like Japan isn't a part of Asia amirite? Totally different cultures!!! Plus the land masses are separate!!!!!! Right guys??? Guys?!?

Just kill yourself now and quit wasting my resources, and that goes for the inbreds who feel the need to bring up country bullshit too

i dont understand the roid fascination..i down whey protein every day that i lift weights and that seems to be good enough. girls don't like scary-huge men, especially ones that have fits of aggression.

OP here.

If I had a general reaction from here reporting very minimal or no real side-effects - as if it had been overly warped by the media or something - I probably would have started to properly learn more about them.
Still, I doubt I'd take steroids to be honest; I don't NEED them, I just wanted to see if anyone else had done so and what the real deal was. My flatmate on the other hand will probably take them though..

>>88978
Thanks for the advice. Hmm doesn't sound good. I will probably just keep training the normal way in that case.

>>88979
Yeah that sounds about right I guess - for people who've reached the peak of their abilities.. i.e. not me.

Eat tons more food. Especially meat and vegetables. That shit is very anabolic.
