i've been low carbs for a while. it's not difficult, more just making careful selections at meal times.
i gave up: * all refined flour, so most breads, roll, pizza, pastry, pasta, etc. *all refined sugar, soft drinks, ice cream, cookies, cake, etc. * other high carbs and starches like potatoes and alcohol.
substitute in moderate amount of healthy carbs like whole oats and grains in cereals and breads.
i didn't have real cravings like i'd sit and think about eating a bowl of spaghetti for hours, but if i did slip and maybe have some pizza or a dish of ice cream, i really wanted more afterwards.
i put on weight with carbs very quickly, so once i was careful, i didn't gain much. mix in some moderate activity and you can lose weight pretty reasonably.
