/fit/

I recently bought a new mountain bike to help me get fit as i am tired of feeling so unhealthy.

I am cycling to and from work (about a mile each way) 5 days a week and going on longer rides at weekend which is hard at the moment because of my fitness level.

I have just reached the end of my 2nd week and I am finding the cycling difficult but i am sticking at it.

How long will it be before i start to notice a change in my health and the riding becoming easier?

Apparently your world has no color to it, huh? Look at the background, and take a real damn picture of your bike, freaking lazy ass.

It'll get easier when you bring your nutrition in line with what your body actually needs to function at a high level.

Stop eating shit, make sure you get enough protein and carbs, and work hard on the weekends to improve your cardiovascular health by doing interval training on that bike and overall more endurance riding.

Eventually your body will adjust and it'll get easy.

But seriously... Eat well or you'll never feel good.

OP: It depends on how hard you're riding it.

eat well, ride hard, if you take that mile easy its not going to do anything you'll get a better workout walking the mile since it'll take you longer.

Learn to shift gears properly, when to do it and which gears to use for each situation.
Learn to pedal properly, spin in circles, not mashing the pedals up and down. Think fast spinning, not hard crunching.
Learn to pace yourself properly.
