Hey /fit/

I'm 6'4" and 197 Lbs. male.

I was 262 Lbs 5 months ago and had changed to a really healthy diet, cardio and strength training.

I'm worried because I want the fat over my abs to go away so I'm sticking to the strict diet and tons of cardio but like my entire fucking body is getting too thin. My arms, chest, legs have barely any fat and you can clearly see my muscles and my bones stick out a bit, yet I still have a thin layer of fat over my stomach.

Is this just my genetics? or do I keep running an hour every second day and eating healthy?

I mean I'm 6'4"... wtf.. I thought I'd neve rbe under 200 Lbs but I'm trying to lose the stomach fat. Should I keep going or just worry about my other muscle groups and give up? I'm afraid to weigh barely anything.. I'm on my college Rugby team and don't want to be some 170 Lbs Stick Man.

In the male body visceral and abdominal fat is the last one to go away. And the first one to come in. Think of guys with beer bellies but who still have big arms, pecs... don't look fat except fo the beer gut.

Continue what you're doing, and keep lifting big it will eventually go away.

I would say replace your aerobic exercise (running) with some circuit training anaerobic exercise. Lift heavy, lift often. If you weight train for like 45-60 minutes, you can burn a lot of calories while increasing lean muscle mass.

kk thanks, I'm very patient so yeah.. still a ways to go I guess. Will be worth it in the end.

My most persistent fat deposits are on my back... I've gotten down to where the rest of my body is looking a lot better, but I still have damn bags of fat on my back. My health teacher in high school told me that I had a disproportionate amount of back fat the likes of which she had never seen before (she was doing the caliper test on my back to make sure my numbers were correct).
