Stubborn fat Anonymous
Hi /fit/,
I'm 6'1 (1.85m) 170lbs (75kg or so), I do weight training every other day (stronglifts.com 5x5) and cardio at least 6 times a week so I'm in reasonable shape.
My diet is good too, I don't eat junk and I very rarely drink. Plenty of protein, not so many carbs.

My problem is this damn flab around my waist - my bodyfat% is fairly low, I have good vascularity and definition on my back and legs [and a little on the abs when I'm not water bloated] so I don't know if this is loose skin or what. It's a real confidence killer for me. Jiggles when I walk etc. Makes me look like a fatty even though I'm really quite active!
I'm gonna try moar dieting and exercise in the hope that I can kill the flab with getting even leaner, but I don't know if that will work.

So has anyone else had similar persistent flab problems like this that they've overcome? Really need some support or advice on this one! Thanks /fit/

Run. Work on lower abs. Running does this. RUN RUN RUN

OP here, thanks for the reply. I do running usually 3-4 times a week and I work my lower abs pretty hard with reverse crunches at least once a week.

Try doing abs every other day. Do some HIIT running twice a week.

It may be because you're doing sweat releasing running stead of incubating running. To get rid of "flab" you'll have to do heavy sweater and hoodie running a good 5-6 miles in the morning.
You could get rid of it by doing badminton or tennis/any sport that requires lower body twisting. I used to have the handles, I used to have the flab. You have to sweat and twist them off.

Could you explain why this works?

Isn't what you're describing spot reduction? Doing lots of ab exercises to burn abdominal fat?
