/fit/, I'd like to loose about 20 pounds in a month, then 12-15 for the next few.

I got all depressed and put on 60 lbs. I should be 180, now I'm 240.

I don't want to take it slow, I'm not afraid I'll loose it too fast and gain it back and willpower isn't an issue. I'm guessing this would take like 4 hours of cardio a day or something and a fairly religious diet. It seems to me the only reason extreme weight loss is usually unhealthy is that most people do retarded things like not eat or forfeit bowel control for some strange supplement or other. Well, what about pure, manly, all natural, Spartan effort?

Healthy and doable? Or not?

Swim in the ocean for 10+ hours straight. People who swim the English channel are well known to lose 10-15lbs of fat in the 13+ hours that it takes.

No ocean? Go hike with 100lbs on your back for as long as you can take it, then enjoy the blisters because your feet aren't used to the effort. Then do it again, and again, and again, etc.

Do not eat during either of these exercises, you wont start really dipping into your fat reserves before the glycogen in your body is depleted which can take 1-2 hours, likely 2+ in your case. Water and salt tablets will be your friend.

Highest amount of weight you can lose healthily is about 2 pounds a week max. Any more than that and you're just losing muscle mass and bodily fluids. trying to lose 20 pounds in a month will result in you being in shitty shape, and you'll end up getting the weight back anyway.

Doable? Yes. Healthy? Not at all.

If done by diet, yes. But if one has the stamina to exercise for hours one can lose 3-4 pounds a week in a healthy manner upto a certain point.

The 2 pounds a week deal applies to exercising and eating right. He's wanting to lose around 50 pounds in 3 months time, there's no way he'll be able to do that healthily.

you'll be hurting your heart and liver+pancreas.

liposuction is also an alternative.

Liposuction is for 700 pounders that have to be air medevacced out with a whale lift. It's probably the most UNHEALTHY thing you can do.

i lost 60lbs in 3 months and i wasn't starving myself or going nuts on cardio. i lifted 5 days a week for an hour and a half and i ran 6 days a week for 45 minutes to an hour. went from 260to 200. my lifts went up too, from a difficult 8x135 on bench to 225x4 and 135x10 on squats to 245x12. i've kept it off for a year so far.

Off the high horse, nigger.

Nobody cares about healthy. We care about hot. We care about crash diets and the latest shit Paris Hilton is doing to stay so thin.

Hot =/= Healthy, but hot is way more important.

I don't care if I die at 45, as long as I've got hotness.

it can be done, but you'll end up with gallstones. just a fair warning. gallstones suck. if you don't want them, go the slow and easy route.
