No, unless you use light weights and explode hard, sadly squats won't make you kick faster. The best way is to just kick fast. A heavy bag works good. Don't go for power but hit it as fast as possible for 3-4 times. The switch legs. Do this for a while. You need to work fast twitch not slow.

A lot of stretching. Daily. Do butterflys and toe touchies. :3 A good general rule is get to were it hurts, and hold it for 15 secs. Repeat until you feel warm. You don't want to over do it. After you work out is a good time to stretch too.
