Hey /fit/, I need advice on something. I hear everywhere that you cant lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. Yet I also hear that by gaining muscle the muscle eats fat to stay intact, and obviously lifting while gaining muscle is going to use calories, wouldnt this mean that by gaining muscle you do infact lose fat?

muscle doesn't eat fats.
muscle = energy input + exercise.
fats = energy input.
