I have never, ever broken a bone, torn a muscle, or received any type of setback injury. But a few months ago I happened to dislocate my shoulder by accident whilst jumping around at a party. It happened twice, the second time was even harder to push back in. Thankfully, because I was drunk at the time, the pain didn't hurt as fucking bad as it did recently.

I was in bed and couldn't sleep, so I decided to catch up on some reading and pump my eye muscles. However, I underestimated how far the light switch was from the bed and grabbed the wall to stop myself from falling face first into a small cabinet. I protected my face, but the sudden impossible thing I was trying to do snapped my shoulder back out as I fell out of the bed.

I missed the light switch, but /x/ly, I saw the entire room for a split second as bright as day, and with that, was able to pop my arm back into the socket quite easily, despite the pain.

A few days ago I was at another party, and managed to pop it out once again. This time REALLY fucking hurt, and my friends tried to be surgeons and began pushing my arm into my side.

Since then, workouts have been quite agonizing. I was just wondering if I should let my arm heal for a few months, if the healing is even possible, or just get back into the routine.

What the fuck are you doing at these parties?
I'd try not to move your arm at all and I would probably see a doctor if your arm pops out this easily.

I had the same problem around Christmas of 07. The best thing to do is to just let it rest for the time being. Every time you work out, you increase your chances of being reinjured, and stop/significantly slow down the healing process. Hope you feel better soon.
