I'm having trouble getting my pecs in shape, anyone have any ideas (concerning use of dumbells and/or other machines.

Everything serious is welcome.

I dislike machines. Alot of your pecs apparent size is actually just definition around the edges of the pec and whether it stands out.

Flies and presses, both incline, decline and flat will help your pecs grow.

Bench
3 sets horizontal
3 sets inclined
3 sets declined

If you want, you can still fly after that, and do some interesting things on the pull weights.
Never two days in a row of course.

seriously now, you're asking how to work pecs? everyone and their fucking mom knows how to... either you don't know how to lift properly (look up stuff by arnie on mind-muscle connection), you haven't trolled bodybuilding.com forums before, or both.
