Hello fit gurus. Today I completed my first 10K race. I did it in 45 minutes. I puked my breakfast at the sixth kilometer. At the end of the race I had a horrible headache. I felt a sharp pain mainly on the right part of my brain, got dizzy, and my nose and eyes hurt also. After drinking some water and eating some fruits the pain reduced. Besides that it was a great experience. What happened to me at the end of the race /fit? was it dehydration? was it dangerous? Any help granted would be great.

train more you idiot

C´mon you can give better suggestions than that. Although, yes, I should have trained more and had a slower pace. Besides that, any other suggestions.

I'm thinking....maybe a little bit of dehydration, maybe you overexerted yourself?

at any rate, rest hardcore, drink. It is all fine.

It was puking up your breakfast and dehydration that caused the pain. No, there won't be any lasting damage. My suggestion? Train more.

well puking up is never good, so puking up when you're running is extra bad.
Also when you puked you lost a lot of fluids, you should have slowed down and drank a lot to replace them.

when training more, work on your pace, make sure it's consistent throughout and that you're perfectly hydrated.

I´m from Chile, South America. It´s winter here, but the weather was really good for running today.

Sounds like symptoms from blood pressure/heart rate shifts as well as just general metabolic fatigue.

8.28 mph average. Very nice.

About a week ago I trained doing 10K in an hour, I got dizzy at the end probably because of blood pressure and heart rate shift. But this time, besides those syntoms I had a intense headache, and pain in my eye. I think it was exertional vascular headache. I hope that with some more training this won´t happen again.

the sharp eye and head pain is relevant to my interests, happened to me while i was doing squats. what causes this?

That may be high blood pressure which could be caused by dehydration. I get it all the time unless I conciously several glasses of water a day.

You need to drink more.

where'd you get the fruits from?

Op here. I bought the fruits earlier that morning in a market near the race.

What are good ways to train pace and rythm for a 10K race? What methods do you use?
