/fit/, I bought barbells this week. But I was foolish and didn't measure my workout area. Basically there's not enough space to use a barbell effectively. This means I have to have to move all my workout stuff into the back room, where it's cold and there's no television [I always watch tv while I'm training].

Anyway, my question is, is it worth moving to barbells at all? I'm not a heavy lifter so I'm still getting a good workout with dumbbells [I only bought the barbells because I figured it was a natural next step]. Is there any really good reason to shift over to barbells?

proper form is very important. Don't fuck with it. This is how you PREVENT injuries.

Get some electricity into that cold room. You have access to extension cables.
