Hay guyz.

Where do you run?

I love running, especially outside, but i have no where outside to run unless i drive about 30 minutes out or run on the side of the road(two tings I don't wanna do :( )

so recently i've been running in place while watching TV, gets my heartbeat up and tires out my legs, but not as great of a workout.

also, treadmills bore the shit out of me, shit's so loud you can't even watch TV

SO WHERE DO J00 RUN, GIVE ME IDEAS.

I run to the Berkeley marina and back, or sometimes to up to the foothills.

If you want some real motivation, have a friend drop you off 10 miles away from wherever you live and leave you to jog your ass back on your own.

I live on an Air Force base. Track's about half a mile from my house.

I did that TV thing when I was starting out. I go to the gym and treadmill, though. The TVs at my gym have subtitles... the only legible one is FAUX NEWS though. :( I like to go on Super Tuesdays because it gets me pumped when I see someone I like kicking ass.

i run up the street about a half mile to the gym to warm up and stretch, then do uphill on the orbital for half an hour, do weights, then walk back home a half mile to cool down. its perfect distance. in the winter/rain i'm like fuck that and drive, though.

you're telling me you can run in place, but can't run on a treadmill...?

Also, Google Earth ftw. Find some parks and bike trails etc.

Outside is better. You get wind resistance, scenery, other people bouncing around... I don't carry much so I run to and from work, or catch a ride 5-10Km from where I want to go and run from that place so I don't have to retrace my steps.

On a treadmill I don't run properly, I just sort of bounce rather than stride. And its boring.

TI live right behind a middle school and have the option of going around the quarter mile track or a full mile track that circle the whole school. There's also building a park with another, better 2 mile track about .5 away aswell. Then there's the soccer/baseball feilds that are about 1 mile away, I don't use them much because theres no, "from here to here is ______"

I typically go running in the park, even though it's a little bit of a drive. They have a map that shows how long each trail section is, and most of the friendlier ones have regular postings.

I've got a 1km stretch down to a park & back, works good as a warm up. Tend to play around there freerunning/parkour; walls and steps and whatnot before heading home. In before 'underage b&, only 12 year olds parkour.'
