Okay /fit/ I have a pretty straightforward question.

Is doing cardio 6 days a week over-doing it? Since the start of the progression thread I have started doing cardio 30 minutes every day, so far just a stationary bike. Today I did 20 minutes treadmill and the rest biking.

I digress. I am wanting to start a HIIT regimen and am wondering if 6 days a week of that would be too much? Or is 6 days a week of regular cardio excessive?

tl;dr how much cardio is too much?

The upper limit is something like 2 hours daily before your muscles start eating themselves. So no, you're fine.

I do various cardio for 1 - 2 hours 5 days a week, with Wednesday as my "cool off" day where its not so intense. I'm fine.

Alright, anyone know anything about HIIT(meaning how many days per week)?

I would rather have personal experience than google... That's why I'm asking here.

I don't recall precisely, but it was something like 20 minutes HIIT sprint/jog = 60 minutes jogging.

So 40 min/day before muscles eat themselves.

I wouldn't call 30min of anything 'over-doing it'
