ok /fit/, to get more defined abs is it better to do weighted sit-ups? or normal sit-ups, just alot more of them?
thanks.

Definition comes from MANY reps, not necessarily the weight at which you do them at. If you want abs with 3 cm crevices between them, go ahead and do ridiculously weighted sit-ups. If you want definition, do a lot of sit-ups. Recommend doing crunches, though, and a lot of them. Sit-ups become relatively useless past 45 degrees, crunches are easier to do hundreds of them (nice, quick, works the abs).

Smart anon.
Do what's best for you. If you get to the point where you're doing 500 reps at a time (being exaggerative, but you get my point), then consider weighting yourself a bit. If you're doing something like 40 reps during your work out, then it's clear that you should be doing more.

DO FIDDYS EXERCISE

HOLD THE BAR WITH YOUR LEGS AND PULL YOURSELF UP WITH TEH ABS

Weighted sit-ups will cause the muscles to hypertrophy in general.

If you want a stumpy-looking trunk, gofer the weighted.

Run laps. WTF is "defined" other than "muscles without subcutaneous fat on top of them?" If you do want BIGGER abs then put weights on them. Abs aren't magic muscles that somehow obey different rules from all the other muscles which need progressive overload to induce hypertrophy.

Weights.

This.

To the rest of you, stop spreading stupid fucking rumours about magic muscles.
