Fuck /fit/,

My back has been so friggen sore lately. And today it hurts when I move.

What are some good stretches/exercises that are good for your back?

Also, my ankle is kind of sore too, I think I hurt it playing soccer. Any stretches/exercises to help with ankle pain as well?

lower back pain is caused by tight hip flexors and weak gltues like 90% of time.

so...squatz for glutes? dammit, I was hoping for a squat-free thread.

And the back pain is all over. I think it's partly (or mostly) bad posture), but I need some good stretches to do.

go to stronglifts and read his thread about dynamic stretches.

hip flexor stretches liek crazy. hip thrusts (squat thrusts? i forget what they're called exactly, but they're part of a burpee) are really good for glutes too

Really...? damn I have low back pain also. and i have weak glutes i only just did bodyweight squats 5x5 yesterday as my best so far as a newb. and I don't particularly stretch those areas. damn hip flexors. i suppose I'll just find exercises later on exrx.com

Go for a walk for your back. Don't rest for more than 24 hours. Your muscles will atrophy and you will fuck up your back support making it hurt more. Once pain subsides develop a core routine. I don't just mean abs. Whole core. Also work on posture.

My back was hurting last month. I've been doing ab stuff and doing workouts for my glutes/hammies since they effect the lower back way more than people realize. Feels alot better now.
