So I started running yesterday and I'm so out of shape that I'm pretty sore today.

My feet hurt around the bottoms of my shin and my calves. So I'm not going to run today. Should I do extra situps/pushups today?

Anyway, how much stretching should I do before and after I run? I did a good amount before I started but didn't really do any afterwards. Also should I 'walk it off' if you will and walk for about 5 minutes after I'm done with my run?

Mind you, my run is usually me walking quite a bit because I can't continuously run for very long.

No, do cardio that is less impact like riding. Or lift weights.

Also, SQUATZZZZZZZZZ

I work with a guy who used to coach cross country for CSUF & UCI, so I've got like my own personal /fit/.

Anyways, he told me stretch for about 15 minutes before a run. Afterwards you probably want to stretch a little to, at least your IT bands (google IT band stretch). Not stretching enough could be why your calves/feet/shins hurt, but it could also be because you're new.
