I read somewhere that there's nothing wrong with doing aerobic exercise after your workout, but doing it before can actually be harmful to your metabolism or something like that. Is this BS? Or is this only with HIIT?

I'm doing 40 minutes of cardio and about 2 hours later I do pullups and situps (don't ask, I have a complicated day schedule - very little time).
So is this harmful?

OK let's say I do HIIT. Is it alright if I'd do pullups and situps 2 hours later?

no, he has trhe right idea but is distorting the truth.

yes, long slow cardio such as jogging will burn muscle and hinder your gains. but doing 45 minutes of cardio won't kill you. when people say OMG CARDIO KILLS MUSCLES LOOK AT JOGGERS they forget to take into consideration the fact that jogger train for several hours a day.

Also, even if you are trying to gain muscle, youshould still do cardio but just decrease the intensity. 30 minutes of walking is good.
