Milk Anonymous
How good is it?

I'm bulking up and drinking lots of whole milk, about 3 litres (roughly 5 pints) a day.
So, what are the pros and cons of this?
Apart from acne

milk is fatty and puts on the kind of fat that is extremely hard to lose
>> Anonymous
Milk is the most expensive thing right now and it does little to nothing for your body. The body doesn't absorb most of protein in it and is completely wasted.

Eggs/whites are way economical and efficient when it comes to protein.

Wait.. milk and acne are related .. ?

>>66565
What???
the protein in milk is whey protein isn't it??
Please explain

>>66570
Yeah, apparently if you drink lots of low fat milk it can aggravate acne.

I've heard so many rumours about milk, it's quite unbelievable.

Newest trend is that milk is absolutely unhealthy.

I don't listen to peta bullshit etc.., but there are other and more reliable scientific sources that claim this. Just browse a bit.

Wait. We are animals too. Just what the fuck is your point?

All the sites I can find seem to be either completely for or completely against it, and all of them have agendas eg PETA

Well the hormone shit is true, sadly. An innocent 9 minute video i got off the internet talked about how the muscles grow so fast, it happens baby calves legs can't even support they're accelerated body weight, can't stand up long enough to make it to slaughtering time standards. I couldn't even finish watching the whole clip.

The FDA says that hormone stuff is safe for human consumption. I don't care what they say, if it does that shit to animals I don't want that shit in my body.

Also cow milk is harder to digest, it's so very different from human milk. And for some freakish reason white humans can still do it to some extent when past babyhood. However goat milk is more digestible. My headaches and throat inflammation disappeared when I drastically cut all dairy out of my diet. I still have it occasionally with no ill effects, but I don't need it.

How about yogurt? I can't stand the taste of milk, but I like yogurt especially if it's old (fresh yogurt tastes too milky). The main problem is it's more expensive than milk, but I'm thinking of brewing my own.

weight-lifting veggies need 25% more protein due to plant proteins being more difficult to digest. That's really the only real difference you're going to see. Just change them about a bit so your aminos are sorted and all's well. It's combining your sources so your incomplete proteins become complete ie. rice and beans.

Don't listen to these /f/ucking idiots, they have no idea what they're talking about.

The protein powder everyone lives by is made from whey protein. That's milk. There are other sources such as soy, but whey is the most popular.

Just get organic milk, to avoid BGH and antibiotics. I recommend Horizon 2% milk.

Also a friendly fact, lactose increases your testosterone production. Keep up your healthy intake of milk. Once you're cutting down, don't stray from your milk; just drink skim.

2% Milk was my staple in slimming down and is still my staple in maintenance.

To all of those "OMGFAT" people, there's fat free milk for wimmenz, and men need some fat to aid testosterone production.

Sif it's too much fat.

I drink 3 litres of full fat milk a day.

If you're bulking, it's easy, tasty calories.

brewing your own is excellent. take it with you in a glass container instead of plastic if can. or if you have to use plastic, use one used lots of times, it's already worn out.

thanks i didn't know that about testosterone

Nah, milk is fine. Any strapping American boy with large but not fat physiques should return to drinking milk. Don't mean to bring race into it, but if you are Asian or European, you're probably more prone to be lactose intolerant.

Americans, on the other hand... most likely not. I say drink that milk. If you want to have moderation, cut out soda, syrups and cheese from your diet. But not milk. Unless your ethnicity is historically intolerant of milk.

I'm really hoping that the people who don't know milk has both whey and casein protein are trolls.
