Hibernation fat Anonymous
I has a question, /fit/:
Outdoor track is starting in two weeks. My thighs look like gelatinous tree trunks after a winter of less than regular running, thanks to a terrible schedule on my part and terrible weather on Connecticut's part.
I need some good thigh workouts that don't require machinery (I can't go to a gym - not enough $$), and that will help to cut the fat off like buttah.

Eat less, exercise moar.

In this case, running will serve your purposes quite well.

Next please!

working your legs more won't mean that you'll loose weight there.
spot reduction does not work.

I suppose I should have mentioned that I'm already running between 60-90 minutes a day since a few weeks ago. Should I just aim for more hills and try for negative net calorie intake?

PROTIP: you can't spot reduce fat

if you want your legs to look better, do tons of squats, leg presses and what not, build up the muscle in them will make them look a little less like a pile of cottage cheese.
