What does /fit/ think of Christian Bale's " crash diet of generally coffee and apples" to get into the right shape for The Machinist he lost 60lbs in a matter of months. I need to lose weight fast and may try this.

It's a massive starvation thing. It worked for him because he wanted to gain weight back as soon as filming was over, but that'd work against you unless you stay on the diet for the rest of your life.
Also, it was one apple and one tin of tuna a day. A few cups of coffee and lots of cigarettes & whiskey.

Drink lots of water and make sure the coffee doesn't have any sugar in it. Wouldn't try it if you aren't a huge fat arse, though, keep in mind Bale had a doctor watching him at all times.

I wouldn't try this unless I was desperate or getting paid millions of dollars (lol movie actor).

Not healthy and you'll gain back a shit load of weight as soon as you start eating again.

It's a temporary thing, like all starvation diets. As soon as you stop, weight'll pile back on.

I'm glad...
Theres something wrong with the man that wouldn't

He did it for a film and was planning to gain it back. You're going to try to do it to get a body you're going to want to keep, which won't be happening.

Becoming that person was something he could dedicate all of his time and resources to, a luxury you don't have, so try it like the rest of us bub, cause if you don't have the drive to make smaller lifestyle changes you'll stick with that crash diet for a week tops and binge all to hell.
