alright /fit/ I have a question for you,
I want to tone my legs and stomach
so as soon as my exams are over I want to start morning jogs that last around 30 minutes
my only fear is that my now untoned but thin legs will eventually turn manly looking due to muscles. Am I wrong? Will they remain the same size only toned or will they look larger as well?

alright /fit/ I have a question for you,
I want to tone my chest and arms
so as soon as my exams are over I want to start pushups that last around 30 minutes
my only fear is that my now untoned but thin arms will eventually turn manly looking due to muscles. Am I wrong? Will they remain the same size only toned or will they look larger as well?

they'll get slightly bigger. your fears are misplaced.

common misconception. you don't just automatically gain muscles, it takes a lot of training and hard work to bulk up. you'll tone, lose fat and get definition of the muscles you already have, but unless you're doing an active weight-training regiment and consuming surplus calories and protein, you're not going to all of a sudden bulge up like the hulk down there.
