Sit-ups, push-ups, and pull-ups Anonymous
/fit/ virgin, don't bite my head off. I know this is a boring question.

I am in good shape. College swim team and all that. I have never liked lifting, but my schedule is getting a little compressed right now so I find myself needing to use the gym for short workouts. When I lift I use weights and reps that feel right - I know my body well enough for that - but when it comes to pushups, pullups, etc I'm not sure how many I should be aiming for. Recently I have been doing 100 situps at the end of my workout. Is that a reasonable amount? How many pushups should an in-shape guy do? And pullups?

It's all relative to how you feel.
If you do 100 situps and feel like you can do more, do more.
Try to max out one day and work off those numbers.
ex. let's say you can do 40 pushups without stopping, max. Then work off that number, try doing 3 sets of 25 or something. It's all about how you feel when you get done. If you're worn COMPLETELY out, then you're doing well.
If you're just tired, then keep going.
