Hey /fit/.

I'm not into working out and I usually spend my day eating shit that's bad for you and playing WoW.

However, I recently stopped drinking soda. I used to drink about 4 or 5 cans a day and I quit cold turkey Saturday afternoon. Yesterday I started experiencing some pretty uncomfortable muscle cramping around my upper legs and lower back and they've continued through to today. I haven't done anything to pull any muscles to my knowledge.

I'm wondering if my sudden change in sugar intake (I don't eat sweets or candy) could be related.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Why did you stop drinking soda? You still eat shit that's bad for you and not excersising, so what's a little coke gonna do?

cramping is usually due to dehydration.

drink 8-10 cups of water everyday. it should help.

a little coke will do a lot.

liquid calories from soda is a major leading cause of the obesity her in america. all the HFCS, empty calories. You can consume a whole fucking day's worth of calories in just 2 cans of soda.

cutting soda just by itself will lead to results.

BAM! There you go, your answer has been provided. More than likely, you are grabbing a Coke every time you are 'thirsty'. Your body isn't asking for a Coke when it signals that it's thirsty, it's looking for water, but you have confused the two because the water in the Coke gives you a short term hydration fix. You're probably not getting near enough water now that the Coke has been dropped.

I stopped drinking soda and for the last four days the only thing I have drank is water, so it wouldn't make sense for the cramping to happen because of dehydration when I've been drinking plenty of water...
