do 100, try and get up to 500. or 100 in a row etc. i squat heavy barbell weight and i still do these

I definitely agree with doing weight squats, but the bodyweight ones would be good for those times where you overdo it. Say you do squats on tuesday, but you overload and "OW" all the way to your next squat workout.

Then I would bodyweight.
