How exactly should I prepare egg whites to put in a protein milkshake? I've heard of people throwing them in raw, but that sounds risky.

Should I just boil and seperate from the yolk?

I always buy just the whites. Buying real eggs just for the whites means you pay more, and you spend like fifteen minutes separating the whites from the eggs.
As long as you put them in a shake, you can't taste the difference. If you cook them by themselves though, they taste way better right from the egg.

tl;dr buy the cartons of egg whites they have at the store.

I'll keep that in mind next time I go shopping. But right now I'm out of all other supplements and it seemed like a good idea to use what I have. Boiled egg white probably won't be tastable if I throw in alot of other ingredients, right?

wtf is with all you people making protein "shakes" with eggs? why not just eat the fucking egg whites if you're gonna boil them.

Convenience. Plus I don't particularly like the taste without the yolk.

convenience? its easier to boil them, seperate the whites, then mix them up into some concoction then to just boil them and eat the whites? get some ketchup and eat the damn things. if you want convenience pick up some whey protein powder. buying eggs all the time is probably going to end up costing you more in the long run anyway

I can only speak for myself, but I don't just drink the eggs, you put it in with whatever else goes in your shake.

Although, I have on occasion downed just the egg whites.

Eat the goddam yolks too. That's where all the good shit is, and there's no harm to be done from eating whole eggs.
