If I do weightlifting every other day and then do cardio on the days I'm not lifting, will this be beneficial to me? I have already been able to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, I'm just wondering if it is better to do them on alternating days.

Yeah, I do this as well, although, I do take one day (most likely sundays) to do neither.

There's a school of thought that states that doing cardio after weight lifting is more beneficial because the weight lifting burns glycogen stores, so the cardio gets right to the fat.

However if you can only tolerate one thing per day, then alternating days is best. NEVAR go a day without doing anything.
