Hello /fit/. I'm currently a senior in high school and I'm looking for some advice on fitness. I'm Asian, so my diet consists of rice and thing with rice. Should I stop eating rice on account of its low nutitional value, and what should I replace it with if so. Second, I am a cronic masturbator. I would probably be masturbating right now if it wasn't for /fit/, but my question is, how do I stop, and does it affect my health in any way by doing it so frequently that my semen is clear? Also, would I be stronger in excercise if I didn't masturbate? Thanks!

This seems likely to be a troll. But whatever.

1) Rice is fine for getting your carbs, but a diet with several sources is better. Some other sources off the top of my head:

Whole meal bread
Potatoes, particularly handy because of the many ways you can cook them
Oatmeal
If you can't avoid rice, try brown rice instead of white

2) It's average for a teenager to masturbate 2-3 times a day. Doesn't mean it's great nor harmful for the body, but an ejaculation once every one or two weeks is good for the prostate.

A few elements of food that go into the composition of semen are amino acids/proteins, flavins (a derivative of vitamin B2), fructose, zinc and vitamin C. But the amount is virtually negligable, even if you crack one out three times a day. The most concern is probably zinc. But ejaculations rarely go over 5 mls anyway, if you eat well you'll be more than covered.

I doubt masturbation would have a negative effect on testosterone. Though regular sex increases its levels slightly. It's not implausible that they could have a similar effect, I guess.

The only way I can possibly see masturbation interfering with fitness training is the fatigue and sensation afterward.

tl;dr - Potatoes and don't beat it before exercising.

you've unlocked clear cum!

Rice is actually fine? Well thats a relief. I thought potatoes were simple carbs. Thanks for your help anon!

Clear semen just means you're ejaculating it faster than the glands are able to produce the various fluids/cells in it.

I've read epic threads on bodybuilder forums where entire armies of musclemen laid off the maturbation for weeks or months at a time to see what effect it had. There was a wide concensus that a week off of masturbation gave most participants a lot more energy, focus, motivation... personally I know for sure that I experience 24-48 hours of lassitude after I masturbate where I mostly just want to sit around and play the /v/idya - no motivation, no energy, no nothing.

Think I've seen really real pubmed articles that document an actual decrease in testosterone and corresponding increases in prolactin levels after masturbation, but I don't have access to that right now.

wat? I said I recommend you try to vary it. Rice is virtually just simple carbs.

I have heard that it has no effect whatsoever on your motivation, except that you'll think about sex more often, which is distracting.

the distinction between complex and simple carbs is more arbitrary than most people realize. It was mostly forged as an emergency effort once people started suspecting that huge amounts of carbs were making them fat and diabetic, so they decided to blame sugar so they could still nosh on starches and pretend they were being healthy. Complex carbs are polysaccharides - still sugars. Just because it takes a little longer for them to break down in your gut doesn't make them any healthier for you.

think about sex MORE often if you masturbate? Maybe every other male on earth is different because I become very unemotional, apathetic, "flatlined"; sex is the last thing on my mind.

Every personal effort to stick to a long-term diet or exercise plan has been foiled when I churned out the butter one time too often in a short period. It sucks the life out of me and makes me forget to do everything.

I would say that's much more a mental thing. People would probably have similar 'pent-up' effects laying off smoking.

Plus, the forum will inevitably play it up. It would have been anticlimatic to say, "yeah, it was pointless, keep jerking, guys".

Actually, simple carbs can mess with your blood sugar and insulin levels. Complex carbs don't do that. The point is a more gradual breakdown.

Whether they're good for you is entirely dependant on how much you burn.

I experimented with this once; I didn't get any substantial evidence for or against, but I'd assume you have a slight advantage if you don't. Because of the build-up (hopefully) in testosterone, it'll make your efforts more successful.

Fellow Asian anon here. Rice isn't bad, it's just simple carbs. If you're sedentary, it'll just go straight to your fat cells. Try brown rice, it's complex carbs, so your body takes longer to break them down, and you'll feel fuller longer.

OP here. Damn it I should have been F5ing this page, I already touched my snake. I had better get to working out soon, before I decide to go for round 2.

I guess masturbating effects girls differently, cuz I've never had an energy problem....

It seems to me like something that would flow naturally in evolution as well. After all, if you aren't getting any you'd better start working harder to make yourself a more viable mate.

look up the low glycemic index. you'll see that long grain brown rice is better than short grain white rice, but really it's not that much better for your blood glucose levels.

same with potatoes, probably not very ideal to eat those either.

starchy, process bread product like pasta/rice and your usual junk foods like chips are not good for you. just read up on the low glycemic index (GI). it'll help you out with the explanation of what you can eat.
