what that clicking sound is a tendon rubbing back and forth over a bone in your spine. You are over extending your self and or you need to strengthen the over all back muscles within your back close to your spine or over all your back.. You will keep getting that rubbing over and over and will have to take an noninflammatory medication to reduce the swelling in the tendon on your spine that keeps getting rubbed like that. Just keep in mind that your abbs control your back and your posture. Any leg extensions even liying on your back with leg raises will work your abbs just as well.. I would try like the other anon stated with the hanging but also integrate the laying down on your back style leg raises with scissor kicks and full extension so they are 90 degrees to you above your body laying flat on the floor. Then going from side to side keeping them from touching the floor about small sets to start.. You will be ripped in no time.. just keep it up. Your abbs are a group that cannot be over worked unlike other groups within your body.. no need to wait 24 hours rest to keep at them.
