don't fuck my thread up.

i'm guessing swimman is more geared towards muscle endurance, is there any way to incorporate some sort of HIIT into swimming laps?
also, as a skinnyfag planning on a weight program at the same time, this would be my off day training. is this win y/n?

I have a slight problem.
I used to swim all the time when I was younger it was great I recently tried to get back into it but I notice whenever I do freestlye or backstroke I get shooting pain in my ankles.
I am aware I have weak ankles And I try to keep them as stiff as possible when swimming but I'm worried that I may be doing damage.
Is damage a possibility? Should I just stick with it? Or should I strap them or something?
