/fit/, I did HIIT this morning for the first time while running (i've done it on a bike). I started out doing 30 second sprints with 1 minute face paced walking.. but around the 10 minute mark, I could only do 20 second sprints with 1 minute rest. I did it for a total of ~17 minutes.

My question is if its bad to shorten my high intensity intervals... my heart rate got up to the same levels, just 10 seconds quicker.

Or should I rest longer?

On a side note... protein? NOW?

Do what you can safely do (just dont go easy on yourself). And yes, drink the protein after... feed those muscles.

Well, I could've gone for more than ~20 minutes, probably another 5 and I would've thrown up though.

We'll see, as this was my first time doing it with running.
