Dear /fit/,
I've been doing some calf exercises and after 2 days my right one feels a bit sore, but my left hurts a lot when i flex it and is kind of swollen a bit ( it;s hard when i touch it, also hurts when touched). Any suggestions what to do?

If your muscles don't ache for a few days after exercise you didn't try hard enough.
If your muscles ache then guess what... you rest them

Just as people are right or left handed, we are right or left footed. My guess is that you are right-footed, hence your left leg is weaker than the right one. That's why after doing symmetrical calf exercises, the left one is more sore. Rest your calves another week or so before flogging them again. And like 333221 said, don't work them two days in a row for sure.

A muscle being sore to the touch can happen if you really work it hard. But the swelling is of some concern. You might try taking some anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen. If the swelling persists, go to a doctor.
