Hey /fit/, I think I broke my body.I haven't worked out in years. The last time I've honestly done anything was back during PE of Highschool. I'm not FAT fat but I'm definitely out of shape. A week ago I did as many pushups as I could. 30 was my max in one go, but I did continued reps until I couldn't literally do one more (without going supersaiyan of course). In total I did 57 pushups. Right after that I ran for 3 miles and almost collapsed when I got back, I almost threw up and passed out, but I got some sugar in me and survived it.Like I said, that was a week ago. My problem is I still can't move. I tried doing pushups again just now, but I can't do one still. I can't even raise my arms above my head without agonizing pain. I feel like John McCain. This is why I come to you /fit/. When the hell will I be normal again and what did I do wrong?
It's called stretching
It's also called not getting enough protein for recovery. But props for the effort - this is a great start.
Start slow, don't jump into it like that.
You probably fucked yourself for a while. Last time I did something like that (with pullups) it took me about 2 months of rest to recover. Next time ease into it more.
Oh so I need protein? If I start eating proteins will I be able to work out soon? Sorry, I know literally nothing about fitness and admittedly haven't lurked long enough. The spirit is there though!
