Morning, /fit/.I've got more-or-less everything down. I cut the crap out of my diet, I eat very clean, I'm following Stronglifts almost immaculately plus post-workout cardio, and I'm generally feeling much better about myself. My Achilles heel in this health and fitness endeavor is sleep. I have been working on getting up around 6, 7 at the latest, and I still crawl into bed between 1 and 3. I'm not feeling bad, other than that conscience thing where I know I shouldn't be doing, I should man up and get to bed earlier. The major culprit, ironically, for my transgression is 4chan. I'm too busy reading about squatz to settle myself into sleep. Well, 4chan, porn, and music downloading (new RS premium, shit was SO cash).I'm certain I can't be the only one on /fit/ with this complex. How badly does it affect you, and what do you do to curb it?
Don't have to sleep more if you don't need to bro.
>>391404But I'm doing it now! I'm exhausted, yet captivated by your wankery.
>>391416I don't care... unless you're tired THROUGHOUT the whole day, it's not a friggen problem.
Well folks here are always talking about how inadequate sleep can slow muscle growth, so I thought that might be worrying.
No way bro, no way
you should get 7-10 for maximum mussle growfand even then what you said is true, when you lift alot and stress your body you tend to want to sleep more even though you don't feel too affected during the day, i know i went from sleeping about exactly 8 hours a night for 2-3 years to 9 or 9 hours since i started lifting hard and eating clean
Go into bed at a set time every night. Wake up earlier and satisfy your time wasting lust before you start your day instead.
>>391436oops>9 or 9 hoursi meant 9 or 9 and a half hours
>>391437Good idea. I'm a bit of a procrastinator though and always end up surfing through breakfast.
>>391469You could also work out right before bed. I do that and I'm so exhausted that it takes too much energy for me to sit in my chair so I HAVE to go collapse in my bed.
>>391472I sort of do that already, usually finish workout half 9 to 10, but then I have my shake and wait an hour for it to settle, which kills me because I always get caught up in something during this time.
