hey /fit/ i want the body of a gymnast! im already moderately fit, go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week, at least 30 mins cardio every day, what sort of exercises should i do to build strength and get that physique? am i right in assuming body weight exercises are the go?

Don't you think you already have your answer there?

Look up gymastics for beginners, L-sits, V-sits...etc.

Go to any local college and see if they offer gymnastics classes.

Couldn't be easier.

Bodyweight. Bodyweight. Bodyweight. Until your hands are raw, your feet are bloody, and you puke from ab exercise. Pick a copy of Never Gymless by Ross Emanait and work from there.

Prepare for the depths of hell though, and a much different kind of progression then weights. Bodyweight is far more about feeling what your body can handle then doing prepared sets, and a lot more about pushing out those last sets where you're grinding your molars and shaking. Form is also far harder to master then weights.
