Since this is Heath&Fitness, I figured hygiene questions would ALMOST fit here.

1. How do I take care of hair? I have fairly long hair for a guy(shoulder length) that I started growing last summer, and it's recently gotten a bit dry & wiry. I've tried some conditioner and it looks okay when wet, but it literally frays like steel wool when it dries. Is this normal? I thought Asian hair was typically straight & silky?

2. I'm an uncut virgin, and I've been wondering: what difference uncut and cut foreskin makes in terms of sex/pleasure? I've heard that uncut foreskin produces rolling friction which enhances pleasure, and I've also heard that a cut penis (when lubed) allows sliding friction along the entire length of the penis, which would also be very pleasurable. So which is "more" pleasurable?

3. Scars. How do I get rid of them? I've got some scars on my face from scrapes, and they're not exactly the sexy kind. The healed-over skin is discolored and much darker than my complexion, almost nipple-dark. Same with the pimple scars. What would help in this case?

Also, are body hair patterns genetic/immutable?

I can only talk about 1 but i am very well versed in long hair. If you don't cut it for a while your hair starts to fray (split ends) this makes your hair wirery and plain ugly. girls get constant trims to keep the hair healthy and in one piece. If you want to keep long hair you must still keep constant hair cuts or your hair will become unhealthy and just plain bad. Even the silkiest shiniest hair cannot last without a trim every 3 months at most.

Anonette here, saving your hair. You're actually going to have to put a bit of time and effort into it if you actually want it to look nice, but you should have expected that when coming to /fit/. Using conditioner is a good first step, but make sure you're doing it right- when you get out of the shower it shouldn't have that slick feel like it does when you first apply the conditioner; you have to rinse it all out. Cool water makes this go faster for some reason. To keep it from puffing up and looking wiry, I suggest investing in some smoothing/anti-frizz product (I use Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid) and a blowdryer. Put a drop (seriously, just a drop) into your hands and rub then together before applying the stuff to your hair, focusing on the long part and putting just a little on the top. Dry your hair about 85% of the way. Take a cylindrical boar-bristle brush and put it under a section of your hair and put the blowdryer on the low setting, and smooth your hair down over the brush with the dryer.

for the most part, yes. if your dad was super-hairy and your mom has hairy arms and a mustache, expect to be furry all over; if your parents are naturally hairless, expect the same. although you never know, you might get a freak gene...

both of my parents are naturally very unhairy. my dad had a regular amount of body hair when he was young but now he is 50 and most of it has either been burned off and hasnt grown back or just doesnt grow anymore, and well my mom naturally isnt hairy either. My dad can also only grow patchy facial hair. But luckily i got blessed with a good amount of leg, arm, and chest hair, with virtually no back hair (and my girlfriend loves the fact that i dont have nasty back hair.) But sadly the facial hair that i can grow is patchy in places and therefore doesnt look to good so i dont like to keep my beards. But im only 18 so i think with some effort put into trying to grow at least a full gotea i could get one!

My Mother is relatively hairless and my father has chest hair but I have practically no hair. All I have to shave is my legs, pubes, and pits, thankfully.

For scars, you should get some hydroquinone(bleaching cream) or rub vitamin E oil on them. The best bleaching cream is prescription and super expensive, but believe me, it's worth it.

If the vitamin E oil is too expensive, use masses of cocoa butter. And try not to get more acne whilst slathering all that oil on your face.
