Femanon here:

See that spot there on my lower back? Looks weak, doesn't it? I often get muscle cramps, pains and pimple-like bumps and cysts there. Lately I've been strength-training those muscles (about a week now), but I just wanted to double check.

Is it just because I have the weakest back-muscles in the history of mankind that my lower back seems wrinkly sore? Could this be something to do with my posture?

take bra off and turn around so /fit/ experts can properly diagnose your conditions

define strength training. Lifting 5lbs for 20000 reps is not strength training woman

sitting in a bad position for a long time can mess with your lower back muscles, badly, even if you don't realise it

while training your back, GO EASY

back muscles are important, so it's a good idea to train them, be but patient.

if you fuckup your lower back, you won't want to train anything untill it recovers

If I remember correctly –– I'm using a machine where you push with your middle back (sort of like a reverse sit up) and I do about 10 reps and 4 sets at –– I'd like to say –– 60-70 pounds. It burns, but should I increase the weight?

OP those are your erector spinae. The spine is meant to be supported, not so much flexed. I caution against anything that involves twist or shear force on your spine.

That exercise you describe about pushing with your middle back -- that would work abs, not erector spinae.

To work erectors you need to do Supermans or something similar. Then move on to deadlifts. Seriously.

Supermans! Awesome. I can do that in my livingroom. Deadlifts - I'll move onto those when I feel a bit more confident with weight lifting. After the supermans become breezy.

Thanks a lot anon!
