Working out at home. Anonymous
So Im moving around a lot and dont wanna get a membership to a gym.
The cardio isnt a problem.
I run 3x weekly for 1 hour and swim 2x weekly for an hour, and rest on weekends. I find the swimming makes the running tolerable.

Im looking for opinions about some workout equipment I could get that wouldnt be a huge weight lifting system. My concerns are that the items are cheap and movable but also efficient in training.
What im thinking of getting:
Medicine ball, exercise ball, pull up bar, lifting bench, and some free weights.

The problem is I expect that I will be missing some muscle groups.
My goal is a 6pack and psuedo-muscle building. Until I can get that gym membership Im just going for the toned athletic.

So thoughts?

I essentially have been doing what you've been doing.

While I have a club membership with a featured gym I don't use it. I do my cardio and anaerobic exercise on my own with periodic consultation with trainers. I do use dumbbells but if I do prefer calisthenic exercises being I can do them anywhere.

Doing pretty well. In the last year I made my target weight and am toning up as I go. As long as you keep your mind on what you need to do, stay off injury and don't get ritualistic with the routine you'll do fine.

See a lot of guys who workout at home fail to set new goals and give up after a few weeks after the monotony sets in.

Do you have any thougths as far as equipment goes? Also how do you keep your workouts from getting stale?

And. Do you have a good recommendation for a workout regimen? website maybe?

if you get a power rack, a regular flat bench and a barbell with some weight plates you won't even need the gym membership
