Hey /fit/ I'm the guy who posted the other wolverine thread, I came back after a couple mins and it seems it got deleted, can I get the link again and any further guidance?

I missed that last thread, was it about growing metal claws or getting super senses?

OP here
actually it was about the genetic advantage some have, that which allows them to more rapidly heal over and thus recuperate, directly influencing their health by allowing them to gain more muscle mass than the average at any given time.

but seriously.. it was about OP being a fatass and needing help with nutrition, as in what to eat, when and why (general outlook..not "TELL ME WHAT TO EAT!")

also included some reasoning for the request.

Man, I've been working out hard for 2 months and I'm sure some guys have a way better body after 2 months than me. It's not about that though. It's about being fit, and that's good enough for me.

OP here: The whole genetics thing was a joke.. it was really about OP being a fatass and needing help with nutrition... goddamn dont tell me I derailed my own thread

I need to be .. well I guess taught, which foods are good (or how to recognize them) and why (ex. tuna = high protein, same as eggs) so I can develop a meal plan.. this is mainly because I cant resort to smaller portions. As smaller portions of crap is still..well crap. I have to be completely self sufficient, from the supermarket isle to my stomach everything has to be done by me. So I kinda needed a 101 on nutrition

Vary your diet. Monday steak, tuesday cod, wednesday tuna, thursday cheat pizza, friday eggs, use different seasonings in small ammounts.
Be creative.
Get a cooking book, it's fun to learn and to do.

It would be impossible to really cover such a broad subject in one post. But there are some general rules if you're trying to lose weight, like processed foods are typically worse than raw foods, refined sugars are worse than simple sugars, and you must eat a variety of foods to obtain everything your body needs. Beyond that a lot is individual choice and trail and error. Find what works for you and use common sense.

OP here, thanks all for your help, seems I just have to wing it and hope for the best. Any resources you can think up please post up (articles/databases/recipe dumps etc) I hope this is still alive in the morning when I wake up
