I'm in serious need of motivation, /fit/.

I'm a short, scrawny male looking to build muscle, get a nice set of abs.

Motivating yourself to work out seems like such an easy thing. So many people do it. With me, it should be an easier case. I'm a fucking failure, naturally I should want to improve.

Yet I just can't bring myself to working out. I did maybe 50 pushups last night, but couldn't get into anything else. I started with situps, went well and kept going well up until 50 before taking a "quick break." But as soon as I hit the ground I lost all will to even get back up.

I have worked out before, and gone a good hour quite a few times.

The whole "You're a fucking failure, look at yourself, you NEED this" thing just doesn't seem to work anymore.

Help? :(

I can't do endurance exercises. I get bored out of my fucking mind. Get a gym membership and do 5x5 strength training. No, I will not explain what that is. Lurk the fuck moar.

After a good hour of weightlifting, drink a buttload (~70g or so) of dextrose (grape sugar) with your protein shake. You'll be in sugar high heaven for the next hour.

Once this becomes routine, you will look forward to working out because you will subconsciously associate it with the sugar high.
