Hey, /fit/... I have a question that might be pretty long, although it has honestly been concerning me and any advice would really be appreciated.

Pretty much all day yesterday I had this pain in my chest that I have only felt MAYBE once or twice before. Now, it wasn't a sharp type of pain... but rather more dull and/or achy. Sometimes it would even feel like I had a pain in my heart, but again it didn't really feel life-threatening. I asked someone about this, and they told me that it could possibly be gas-related. However, I believe the main reason they said this is because I have been known to get bad stomach pains after eating food sometimes. I never really noticed it happen with any certain TYPES of food, so it has been hard to pinpoint that whole thing. Anyways, I also noticed that after pretty much anything I eat my stomach 'bloats' and gets a little bigger, with the size usually depending on how much food I eat. I started to recently read into this and my symptoms show that I may have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)... although I guess my main question to you is, would gas and whatnot actually cause me to have chest and/or minor heart pains?

Here's some more information, just in case. I've been thinking about anything else I have been doing 'differently' lately, and the only thing I can think of is taking natural B-50 vitamins. I started doing this because I just ALWAYS feel like I have absolutely no energy whatsoever, and I was looking for something to help me. I was going to try those 'One A Day All Energy' pills, but someone recommended the B-50 to me. Anyways, I have been trying it for 2 days so far... and it does seem to be helping a little. But I'm wondering, maybe this stuff has to contribute to my pains somehow? Oh... and my hands are always cold (even if I am inside), although I doubt that has anything to do with this. Just trying to give you as much information as possible.

Cold hands? Low blood pressure, enlarged heart, cardio problem. Go see a cardiologist if the pain is intermittent. If you're feeling pain right now, check yourself into emergency.

My dad actually had problems with blood pressure, although he had to worry about his becoming too high more than anything. On a side note, my mom did mention to me some time ago that I was born with low iron... although it never seemed to affect me much. Could that be related to the cold hands thing?

That would be anemia. Low blood pressure + anemia = lolweak heart = go see a fuckin cardiologist already.

Well, it has been a while since I have even gotten a regular 'checkup'... so I will probably have to do what you mentioned. Also, I'm guessing all that is what's affecting my energy levels as well?

Anemic people generally can't work out.

I put an anemic girl though a 2 hour workout while doing the standard 'MOTVIATION' routine once (taunting, generally being an ass). I didn't know she was anemic until she actually collapsed, and felt really bad about it afterward.

Ok, I just found it strange that all this was happening at once. I first noticed the cold hands a few years ago, although this pain in my chest/heart (which only happened twice, counting this time) occurred more recently. It's all beginning to make sense now, though..... besides that whole stomach pain/bloating thing. I'll probably have to get that checked out as well.

Also, would you (or anyone else for that matter) recommend that I continue taking those B-50 vitamins for now?
