/fit/Four weeks ago I went for a four mile beach run that went well but I ended up with a terrible pain that shot through my outer knee area, it made bending the knee very difficult. Now every time that I run for an extended period of time I have the same exact knee pain. I've never had the pain before the run. Anybody had anything similar to this happen to them? Feels like it's the medial collateral ligaments to me.

OP here, trying to avoid that, but yeah, it seems like the best bet. I thought maybe there would be some other solution.
its happened to me before, but i manned up and got through the run in process. leave it for a few days and stay off it and all should return to normal, also SQUATZ
