Supplements Anonymous
Sup /fit/. For the BB'ers out there, what are your favorite supplements for gaining muscle, and why? I'm partial to creatine monohydrate and 100% whey. Creatine makes me look larger :] and whey helps me get enough protein. Tastes good too.

Perfect example of this recent trend of people who shun all 'supplements' because they are too lazy to research the real cause and effects behind them.

Lets start with one of the base chemicals in a supplement like>>263668lists

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitric_oxide
Nitric Oxide is a vasodilator clear and cut - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasodilator
Without any other more complex explanations about how it, or any other chemical in the N.O. complex is working, I've already diffused your argument that it's purely placebo.

>Nitric oxide has become a supplement for bodybuilders. GNC sells an oral "nitric oxide" product targeted for bodybuilders, which is claimed to dramatically increase muscle growth, but this claim is unproven.
