Hey /fit/,

Is it true that when you don't excersice regularly, you start to feel depressed, because your body is not getting rid of its energy?

I've been starting to feel really shitty lately, and I don't know why... I haven't exercised probably since last fall, since I usually go jogging to the park when it's warm outside, and since it was winter, I hadn't gone since.. not even fucking push-ups.. nothing.

Could it be true? Maybe I do need to exercise to not feel as shitty?

I'd say so. Maybe not for the reasons you describe... but I'm overweight and I feel terrible most of the time (mentally, not physically).

Yes, yes and yes. People underestimate the level of connection the mind has with the body. Alot of times physical fitness is directly related to happier disposition.

OP here. I'm not overweight, I'm average for my age, however I don't exercise all that much at all. And I also feel terrible mentally, but something tells me that I should exercise the fuck moar..

Yeah. I do remember after exercising, I always felt a little more alive and active. More hyper and some kind of happy feeling.. I haven't had that feeling in a long time.

Hey again, /fit/

So I decided to finally do a little bit of exercise today. I did some push ups, pull ups and some other cardiovascular exercises.
And I feel better now... with more energy and more hyper, that same feeling I described yesterday. The depression had definitely had to do with exercise.. I just need to be a little more active.

Of course I'm eating greasy pizza with regular pepsi right now, but still.. I feel better. :)

TRUE!

I use to feel like shit all the time. A few months ago I started working out again... Started lifting weights and working cardio... I can see a definite change in my attitude. Not as morbid as I was and whatnot.

After workout your body is flushed with endorphines (happy happy joy joy).
It makes you impervious to pain and makes you feel high (no wonder since endorphines are basically your body's morphines).
Combined with the fact that your muscles are now enlarged and flooded with blood, this will make you feel like king kong.
there, good enough attempt?

Blood flow to muscles, increasing the muscle size temporarily? Not really relevant but it's kind of cool for the few minutes it lasts, lulz.

>>59707
Impervious to pain? Hah, I wish. Dulled, sure. And you get endorphins regardless of the pump, runners get the "runner's high" which is essentially a shit load of 'em.
