Hey, guys. You know, I'm not really a serious lifter. I manage to get my weight up most weeks I lift, but there's a whole huge hell of a lot about fitness I just don't know, and I've never known, and I probably won't ever know.
But I feel okay about that, because at least I'm not so stupid that I think this is a good idea. And so I thought I'd share it with you all.
Carry on.

Don't worry. That's natural selection right there.

Also, didn't think those balls could hold that much weight up.

doing squats on a balance ball is mostly done by gymnasts. as an average joe, i've tried to do it myself, but i could only squat 40 lbs. since balance was difficult. on the bright side, i dont know many people who can even stand on one of those balls, besides myself.

what, the bar used for squats is 20kg usually, so that's 45lbs :S..

I predict this will end badly.

guy in OP pic is a HUGE FAGGOT.

guys all that balance ball bosu ball shit just makes you weaker, it teaches your body not to apply force through to the ground.

it also only make you better at two things:

balancing on a ball
being a fag

Balance work is fine. OP's pic is not.

if you want balance work do overhead squats and lunges. do agility drills, depth jumps etc.

Yup, in addition to those, I'd recommend some more one-legged static balance work and tumbling if you want superior balance. I played football in highschool, and we did all those exercises in our workouts. Except I couldn't balance on one leg for quad stretches for shit.

pro tip: if trainer and you are straight...tell female clients to do this exercise.

Never at any point should you step on top of a swiss ball, or bosu ball

not swiss balls, but you can step on bosu balls (though i wouldn't squat on one)

Whatever they are doing, it screams for injury.
Completely retarded.

what? it's a perfectly practical exercise; youll have the upper hand if you ever find yourself balancing on a ball trying to support weight in your future endeavors

OP pic looks extremely dangerous

OP's pic looks like people who try that deserve to die when they fall

lol if the exercise ball explodes/deflates that guy is SO FUCKED

I would never do any sort of weighted exercise on a bosu ball. it fucks up your CNS muscle recruitment patterns and actually makes you weaker
