Ever see those guys, generally wrestlers or various other guys, that have really thick tree trunk like necks? Yeah, how do you work out your neck and thicken it up?

You actually can't work out your neck. Your neck will always be a weak point. Eventually muscle around your neck from normal weightlifting and increased body mass will make your neck like a tree stump. But it's still going to be weak.

I know the workouts but I don't know how to explain them to OP ;_;

stfu, look at an anatomy book sometime, it's totally possible to build neck muscle.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd8YrWU4OS4&feature=related <- some progressive bridging exercises.

Neck's aren't even real. Just a figment of your imagination.

Bridging. Lots and lots of bridging. You can also get some rig with a weight that you put on your head...but it looks ridiculous.
Enjoy your head disappearing into your shoulders.

my gym has a machine like this that can supposedly work out your neck. But, lots of guys with what you think are huge necks are probably guys that just have really big traps...

the traps are the 2 big bulges on his shoulders by his neck.

You can push down on your eyes with them closed then slowly open and close them. Do 8x5 for maximum results.

This has always bothered me. If you're a fighter, and you want to try and shield your neck from front and side blows, then yeah, this makes sense. But do people really think that this is attractive?

The traps are extremely useful, who the fuck cares what it looks like

The neck contains one of the most important part of the human body: the central nervous system. Doing simple exercises (hell, just put your hands to your head and push forward against the resistance is enough! do it all ways) greatly increases your chances of surviving any sort of blow whether it be running headlong into something or having something knock you upside the noggin.

That's what I'm driving at. I know that having healthy, strong traps can enable you to serve several functions, but there are people out there that intentionally make them heug leik xbox, for looks!
