Do what I've been doing, eat a fair bit of protein, 3 meals a day, plenty of carbs. Ditch cardio all together for now, it won't do you shit. Start out by joining a gym and DON'T push yourself straight away. You'll just hurt a lot, get disheartened and give up.
In half a year, I've gained about 5kgs (I was lazy with it at first) and people can tell these days I'm pretty much only muscle and bone, and only getting bigger. If I can do it, so can you.
