Velocity diet anonymous
Hey /fit/

Ive lost 45 pounds since september of 2007 and want to lost more. right now im 5'7" weight 185 with a body fat % of 17% with and fmi of 24.2. I work out 5 days a week for 2-2.5 hours a day, and then do 30 minutes of cardio after it. But the problem is ive still got that little bit of fat keeping my abs from showing and muscles from looking really defined. I want to go on the Velocity diet for 28-30 days to try and cut down to around 12-10 percent body fat. I'll be willing to do the diet for 2 cycles if nescessary to lose the weight.

Question 1--- Will this diet actually work if i can stick to it without breaking down and binge eating?

Question 2--- What is a good protein shake mix or whey protein that i can use for the 5 shakes a day. Im willing to pay the money for top of the line shit to make sure i get the best results from the diet.

Question 3--- has anyone on /fit/ done the velocity diet before, and if so can you tell me how it worked for you and your bodies reaction when you ended the diet. IE. Did you keep the weight off? Put it back on? ect...

I start my second week on the diet tomorrow, at first the diet is fucking horrible and you most likely will fail the first 2 - 3 days. But if you dont, you should be mentally tough for it. So far in 1 week ive lost 11 lbs. obviously its water weight though. hopefully i start burning pure fat now. But yeah i just bought some multi vitamins, flax seeds, a 5lb bag of whey(will buy more when the time comes). and im pretty much set, make sure to have 1 meal a week, i had mine today i was waitin all week for that shit mmmmm.

OP here

Awesome man thanks. I wont break on the diet. I wrestled for my school and i would often have to go for 3-4 days without eating, and only drinking water. So for me breaking the diet isnt the problem. But, is the generic brand of whey from target or GNC good enough to work for the diet, along with some multivitamins.

Oh, and where do you buy flax seeds? because ive got no idea where i can find those.

I just went to my local vitamin explorer and bought a 50$ bag of generic whey protein, 22g protein a serving with every scoop, i drink 5 shakes a day and sometimes ill put 2 scoops for 2 shakes if i weight lift that day. And for the flax seeds, i just got them at my supermarket, i also saw them at vitamin explorer. but if you cant find them they also sell them in capsules, so look in your supermarket for those they work just as well. also remember to get some benefiber to mix in with your shake daily.

oh and one more thing, you want to make sure you dont go over 100 carbs a day, so look for a whey protein that is low in carbs.

is the benefiber just so that u dont shit liquid because of all the protien or does it have other benefits for the diet? because so far it seems to me its just to make your shits better.

yeah pretty much, but having extra fiber in your diet daily can also lead to alot of other benefits.

Don't drink shakes that are only whey protein. A casein/whey blend works so much better.

well can you reccomend a good brand or blend that i can find at a GNC or smoothie king or a place like that?

name it or pics of it or a hyperlink anything like that would be great.
