PIMPLES ON YOUR BACK Anonymous
What's the best thing to wash your back with if your soap (Jergens) won't get rid of the pimples you have back there?

Pic related but way more severe than my problem. Poor motherfucker.

Man, Sponge, no wonder people think you are a dick.

OP, if you would lurk here a while, this comes up often and by far the concensus is Accutane. Google it. It's expensive, it's only available by prescription, and some people think it makes a certain percentage of users want to kill themselves or others.

I used it and had a back that wasn't half as bad as the pic in OPs post, but it was embarrassing to have that on my back and chest, and a few on my face. A few hundred US$ and about 4 months later, I was about 95-98% clear. I got off the pills and now over 10 years later I have been about 98% clear.

If my kids inherit my acne, I would have no problems getting it for them, and if I couldn't afford it, I would take on a second job. Or get them to get a job. It's that life altering, the improvement.

So, assuming you have cystic acne on your back, and presumably some on your chest and a few on your face, I strongly suggest talking to your doc about this pill.

>>379947Seems to know what he's talking about. But it sounds quite expensive, despite being worth every cent.
Here's a less expensive way: The more greasy and unhealthy shit you eat the worse it will get. Acne is not a rash, so anti-rash ointments and the shit wont work. If you sweat quite alot, change clothes regularly.

While I'm on the topic of clothes, you'll notice that surfers have little to no acne whatsoever, because salt water kills impurities and infections. It's like natures disinfectant. So perhaps you could try washing your undershirts (tanktops/singlets) in salt water from the beach. Sounds strange, but look at the physical proof on other people.

Also, don't scratch your back. The bacteria and shit from under your finger nails will go right into your now-headless pimples, thus creating more.

I had a bit of acne a few years ago, and about half of it was on my shoulders. Some of the shit I was using was the reason for the problem, simply because it was greasy, and not created solely for removing pimples. Maybe even aftershave might help, it DOES have alcohol in it.

never ever scratch your back.
pat gently with your towel for drying.
don't rub, don't srub, no such shit.
Forget soap, it ruins your skin's acid shield.
Use ph-skin-neutral shower gel without shit in it.
Before you consider Accutane, try BPO.

I think the reason why surfers don't have bad acne is the same reason that construction workers don't have acne. The sun. Personally when I was younger and didn't know/care about sun damage, I would aim for a sunburn to sort of sterilize my back. I always assumed it was due to the body utilizing those excess oils to rebuild the skin I just damaged with the tan/burn.

Salt water is great to help heal mouth sores. But for acne, to me it doesn't seem to be as good a fix as what you think. You might be right though. I am a midwesterner - so I don't have ready access to large pools of salt water. ;-)

dont scratch. You'll just scar yourself. I used to pop up with pimples all the time, not as many as in that pic though, but usually on my back area and a few in the front - I use those bars of goat milk soap. You can even buy them at drug stores. They cleared my skin up. I don't know if it'l work for you, but it wont hurt to try.
