Hey /fit/

I've been working out for about a month and a half. I've been making decent gains for a skinny bitch, but I've noticed as my abs get stronger I seem to have gained "hips".

When I touch them they aren't that hard like muscle, but I haven't gained a ton of weight so it can't ALL be fat. I started at 131 lbs and now am around 135-7

Do you think that's just where I gained fat? Or is that muscle? I've never had...love handles (?) before and I don't like it!

yeah it sucks. i started getting them too when i started working out from 117 lbs. just keep your bodyfat in check and stay away from weighted side-bends and it shouldn't be too noticeable.

your obliques just develop quickly compared to your lower abs. Don't worry about it. Sadly some people have to work HARD for those.

jesus your skinny, but ironically way ahead of those fat guys who may never EVER see their muscle no matter how hard they work.

You havnt gained fat its just part of ur ab section as well as ur lats giving ur waist a thinner look.

I don't get those when I work out. I'm glad. I don't like the look of it.

Do most people like that muffin top oblique look?

Muffin top? Either way, yes. Most people DO like how it looks.

It just happens naturally and you can't really avoid it unless you don't work your abs at all.

Op I don't want to creep you out...but I think they look sexy! Women are into it because it creates a line we can trace our tongue down.

Dear OP,

My name is food, remember me? You and I clearly haven't seen each other in a while, but seeing you've decided to work out, I feel we may have to get to know each other a bit better again, if you know what I mean.

-Bite me,
food.
