Things you've heard personal trainers say, either to you or to others.

My story:

When I was doing my mandatory fitness assessment at the gym way back when, I described my overall goals of lean muscle gain and fat loss. I asked him about leg routines to promote this goal. His answer:

"You can't add much muscle to your legs. With every step you take, they are already bearing almost 200 pounds of weight, so that's a workout right there, just from everyday life. Concentrate on upper body development."

Got that same shit about legs and those trainers said that cycling is enough for your leg, then another trainer says cycling is for women.

I dont listen to them now.

yeah, go ahead and go running without doing any leg routines, that 200 pounds will fucking kill your legs.

I did leg pressess for like a year, I had to stop because i had a slight knee fracture. I thought I could make up for it by cycling and walking like crazy. Then when my knee was bag to normal I tried to leg press AND I CAN'T EVEN DO HALF OF WHAT I DID BEFORE. YOUR TRAINER IS FULL OF LIES AND FAIL.

Personal trainers are almost always shit. I see them putting people through shitty useless routines all the time. I'll never understand why some people are willing to dish out 70 bucks an hour to listen to some douchebag count to ten.
