So I just started college 2 weeks ago.

I want to lose weight. People say I'm not fat, a little round about the edges but I do a decent job at it. Just lookin for some definition and such.

So I was thinkin...all these plans and such, people back in the day didnt have all these plans and such did they? No HIIT, SQUATZ, none of that BS. So what if I just did a shitload of lifting, running, and body weight exercises? Its what I've been doing, I feel better and I'm not sore, just a tad from typical working out.

Just seeing what you /fit/izens think. Reasoning- If you just got done doing a task that required lifting shit, then had to run from cougars, youd kinda be forced to run like a motherfucker. Also, I've just been eating less cause there isnt as much to eat as I had in HS, which helps.

Lifting /= squats?

Deadlifts seem like a very primitive exercise too. Also I would see HIIT being historic in a hunting/war/play situation for our ancestors.

You can do stuff without weights or structured HIIT, but your reasoning is kind of silly.
