I've just recently come across a free bench.

I have No weights and lost my dumbells, but I think I might go out and buy myself weights 15-55lbs and work out from home.

I hear though that the environment of working out at home isn't as good as the gym environment, and sort of agree with it.

your thoughts?
1 question: is there any important workout I'll miss out on working out at home with only dumbells and a barbell?

You push yourself harder when you're surrounded by fellow gym-goers. Just human nature to be a ham. If you can trust yourself to be motivated, then no, working out at home doesn't really have much of an effect for environment. Also, you rid yourself of all those annoyances the gym can hold: people who don't wipe their sweat off the machines, narcissistic bastards, fat people, etc.

You won't get all of the benefits of working out at the gym, but you can still get more out of it than what you had before, amirite?

I guess, I'm going to miss that crunch machine though.
I do 5 different leg machine workouts there too; will squats cover that for me proportionately?

I can kindof trust myself to be motivated, I think about working out every day but never get around to traveling 20 minutes to the gym to do it. maybe with weights right there, any loss in environment will be gained in the convenience of having it right there.
All I have to do is put ony some loud political music and I'd probably get more done at home.
