Alright guys alot of my family memebers call me anorexia when I say I wanna lose a bit more fat. I tend to eat 1200-1600 Calories a day, normally quite healthy stuff ever 2-3 weeks I have a takeaway (small portion)

I lift weights day on, day off. Do swimming, running bikeing whenever (maybe once a week?)

So anyways /fit/ am I underweight? or what

Well the reason I wanted to lose weight is because I wanted to see my abs. Do I have the wrong mind set then? should I be bulking while doing stomach exercises?

Where should I forcus on getting muscle, all over?

Btw few years ago I was 176lbs 5 foot 11 lost the weight as I grew up managed to maintane it (while slowly losing it as the months went past.

And if you're wondering ive never thrown up or done

Yes, you will see your abs if you lose like 10 or 15 pounds.
I'd say you have a healthy weight now, but you will be underweight if you lose these 10-15 pounds.

At your weight, and your height, the last thing that you should be thinking of is cutting down on body fat. At the point you are at, trying to do so is just going to make you unhealthy. I'd say step up your calorie consumption, as 1500 is usually the calorie mark for weight loss diets. As prior posters have said, you should be aiming to gain muscle. Doing so will help you see your abs a lot faster and you won't risk further taxing your body.

Your abdominals can grow in size just like any other muscle, though it will look freaky if you grow it too much, but that won't happen overnight.

Crunches are like entry-level ab exercises. Try some hanging leg raises or knee tucks and you'll get results.

Op here, doing crunches always hurts my leg and back tend to avoid it. Would you recomend Jackknifes? seemed to work on wii fit pretty well (did 30 or so and could really feel the burn)

Unfortunatly dont have a bar to hang of (its a shame would like to do chin ups)

Gonna give knee tucks a try, does it work the abs as well as the legs?

I agree with many of the others in this thread, gain a bit of weight. I'm 6' 5" and weigh 190lb and my friends/family think I am skinny (although I disagree, I could lose a few more, but not much).
