If it was, then they wouldn't be a personal trainer, they'd just be a tutor.

Clearly nobody taught you the difference between spelling and grammar.

what exactly is the purpose of having a personal trainer?
i watch my diet, exercise w/ proper form, i'm losing weight at a good pace, switch routines to avoid plateau...
if i had a PT i'm sure i'd reach my goals faster, but are there any other reasons to get one?

personal trainers suck. I should know. I am one, and no one in the fucking gym i work at knows a thing. It's all just 'lol lets work your core' and lightweight tones.

Most personal trainers are complete idiots. Who sit around all day going "HURRR DON'T SQUAT BELOW PARALLEL WITH MORE THAN 20 LBS OR YOUR KNEES WILL ASPLODE!!!"

You're better off doing the research and working out on information you have gleaned. Not paying some sports college retard to tell you how to do everything wrong.
