I figure some of you guys might know the truth about white vs wheat bread and all that. Enriched White Flour will kill me just like High Fructose Corn syrup right? Only 100% whole grain wheat bread is healthy? Confusion.

My family has always bought whole grain wheat bread, so I'm used to eating it.. when I eat white bread, it feels weird..

Whole grain is healthier... get that.

Same with sugar... I always get brown sugar. White sugar is no-no.

good. white bread is supposed to feel weird.

however the difference between brown refined sugar and white refined sugar is so very insignificant. they're both refined sugars is what matters, which is what is associated diabetes. eating less refined sugar is better. substitute something else.

wheat vs white doesn't matter. The problem is they stick so much damn sugar in bread, it is sickening.

brown sugar is regular white sugar with molasses added. use stevia or xylitol instead.

Xylitol, as I found out recently, can cause some bothersome adverse effects, specifically, loose stools, but then I have Cronh's disease so I'm not exactly a normal case. Though I understand it can have a similar effect on diabetics.

Wheat has three components. Thing of each granule like an egg.
The shell is bran, the yolk is germ, and the whites are endosperm.
White flour is just the ground endosperm, which means you're missing out on the fatty acids, complex sugars, and vitamins of the germ, as well as the fiber of the bran.

first of all get this straight. both white and brown bread are derived from wheat. "whole wheat" is what is healthier, more intact. white is just the left overs after they destroy and remove the more than 75% of the micronutrients. what's left is a crazy fast-absorbing simple carb, and that's just the same as refined sugar. bad. =diabetus.

whole wheat is the entire germ, complete with protein, vitamins, and minerals. it's used more slowly by the body, which is better.
