Hey /Fit/, is it true that working out everyday is not only counter productive but bad for the body?

I wouldnt go that far. Its counterproductive yes and it doesnt do you any favours but i dont think it can be harmful, unless you take an injury because your too tired to maintain proper form, but thats not really the same thing.

Actually, working out (weights) is counter-productive. Also risk of overtraining/injury is high. You gain muscle from resting them after being worked.

P.S. Fuck off idiot, 0/10... if you're not a troll, lurk the fuck more, read a book or lrn2google.

Supp ose its debateable. I had a knee injury last week which i put down to working out every day and bad form on squats. When i looked into it, the outcome is that you keep putting a repetitive strain on the muscle and your body isn't getting enough time to fully repair it. It's like jumping on a plank of wood, eventually its going to snap. Recovery has taken about a week so far and starting to bring back the intensity on cardio.

tl;dr - Take a rest day once in a while.
