ok so i am 18 and I want to get in shape (mostly i want abs) I started working out about a week ago. I know absoloutly NOTHING about health or fitness.

For the past week I have been using
http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/
It seems like a great program, but like i said, I know nothing about health or fitness. Should I keep following this? or is there something else I should be doing?

http://iwantsixpackabs.com/abs.html
so far I have only completed the week1 routine (http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/workout/week1.html).
I cant do all the reps, but I do as much as possible. So far it seems do be doing ok, I can now complete the running excercise. And I see slight changes in my legs and arms.

what do you guys think of this website?

another question, EVERYONE in my family is out of shape many are quite overweight. Does this have any effect on me?
Also, should I be drinking protein shakes during/after workouts? I would rather stay away from any sort of supplement other then well...food, but would it be of significant help?

effect your family may have is in trying to get you to eat what they do. stick to it and eat healthy, don't get dragged back down.

unless you want to be eating 3 entire chickens a day, whey shakes help a lot

Arnel is dodgy as shit. I would take the information from that site and take it into consideration but follow different programs.

Isolate protein is a really fast absorbing protein, best for right after, during, or right before lifting / working out
