Hello /fit/!... How much sleep is enough? Because I get like, 6 hours per night, but I wake up on my own, and I'm not tired until the end of the day. Halp?
8 hours. Take melatonin, or eat some OATZ with casein protein, and take some amino acids (esp. with tryptophan, that shit'll get you asleep)
Its diferent for everyone, don't sleep longer if you're not tired.
>>356163Are you certain I'm not going to die!?
Eventually.
Actually, sleep depends on the person. Some function great on less than 6 while others need at least 8 to carry-on day to day. Normal for muscular tissue repair, it (supposedly) requires at least 8 hours of sleep, but I don't buy into that shit. I get as much as I can, which is usually around 6.5-7.5 hours.
6-8 hours is normal.be glad you get to experience 2 hours more of life every day than the average person!
Soon enough, I'll get to experience a lot less...
>>356347Sleep that is.
i need at least 10 hours to be completely fresh for whole day. this sucks
I will naturally sleep 9-10 hours a night if I dont get up by alarm
>>356361me too, but fuck it, all i do is go to class, train, eat, and read alpine climbing books/mags, and strength and conditioning and nutrition websites/journals/books
>>356361same, but I usually get 6-7 as I have to get up early on weekdays, get 10-ish hours on weekends.
I get about 6 hours sleep on days that I work. On weekends I'll sleep for about 10 hours if nothing wakes me up. I don't think it's very healthy.
If I sleep until I wake up, its always 10 hours, no matter how long I slept the night before or what time I went to bed.I usually set my alarm so that I have as close to 8 hours as possible though.
I can function normally on about 4, but to feel properly rested and awake from the moment I get up I need closer to six or seven. The thing is though, your body tends to cope with whatever you throw at it - I regularly pull all-nighters for various reasons, and by ~10am I feel as if I just had a full night sleep. It catches up with me around 9pm and I generally end up hitting the sack around 11, but I can definitely manage and I've always been in pretty good health body mentally and physically.
