Yo /fit/, whenever i do squats i the bar always cuts off circulation on my back or something because i get light headed, and it hurts after only half a minuite. It's not the weight that im doing just the bar. Should i say 'fuck the pain' or just not do squats?

I BELIEVE THAT GUY HAS THE BAR A LITTLE HIGH, BUT WHATEVER

for you, you're probably pinching a nerve in your spinal column. might want to develop some trapezoids

OP here, my back/shoulders have the muscle to do squats. The problem is fairly recent, i might add. While in a lifting class for my school i maxed out at 230lb. (i weigh 125lb.) The bar in my school was thicker than the one im stuck with for now, would it make a difference?

that pic is olympic style highbar position.

your rear delts should squeeze together with the right grip and you should rest the bar on them. if you're too skinny to do that then maybe some thin padding will do

OP here, i weigh 125lb. at 5"6', skinnier than most i guess. hopefully that helps paint a picture of what i look like i dont own a working camera or a cell phone to take pics

Not OP, but when I do low bar, it feels like the bar is going to roll down my back. Do I need to lean over more?

make sure your knees dont go past the tip of your feet, and then shoulders should be where the base of your foot is, if that helps at all

You need to grip it correctly so it can't roll anywhere.

I can't see you doing squats so i wouldn't know whether u need to lean over more. Your chest should be slightly puffed out though but your spine neutral
