What areas to the typical pushup work? I rarely find time to go to the gym and lift. I find it rather more time consuming than worth it because i can't to it on a regular basis and it seems inconsistent. I do a lot of pushups and run often, as well as situps. However, im seeing little improvement in my chest area which I would assume is a bi-product(at least) of doing them. Im mainly looking to tone up.

I am currently 5'11 and 175 lbs, any tips on doing pushups, or any other around the house ( no equipment required) workouts that have some promising results?

Pectoralis major
In short, your chest.

How many exactly do you do? Do you do them all at once? How many times a day?

I would recommend doing 10 push-ups 3x a day. If regular puss-ups are too easy for you, then elevate your feet or put your hands closer together.

u cud also do some pull ups, dips, sit ups, burpees basically; those doesnt require any equipment cept maybe pull ups. if you want your chest to grow big then work on your whole body aswell your chest wont grow if you dont have a back 2 support it.

chest and triceps mainly. you'll get a minor hit to your abs, rear delts, and shoulders.
