Cardio and weight lifting in the same day ok or will it affect muscle growth negatively?
>> Anonymous
god fucking knows. i hear so much crap.

just read today that less than 70% and hiit is great, but the inbetween will result in negative gains.

If you can, keep them on separate days.
Lifting will use up a ton of energy, and so will running if you do both you'll be limiting yourself by how much you can output. Not to mention you'll have to eat even more to keep with with caloric demand and excess for growth.

If you must, leave a couple hours in between and get some heavy carbs in you.

I think you can do them both on the same day.

Generally, do weight lifting every other day and run every day or the days you're not lifting.

i lift (shoulders & chest one day, arms back another) for a good 30-45 mins and then immediately do 30 mins cardio (treadmill, bike, eliptical).

lift only every two days, cardio everyday. i must say, the lifting gains feel less since i started doing lots of cardio right away.

but like 90% of all advice out there is PURELY ANECDOTAL and MEANS LITTLE TO NOTHING.
