Hey /fit/

My bacne has been getting progressively worse over the years and it's really getting to me. It's not as bad as the pic but it feels that way sometimes. I've tried lots of benzyol peroxide (acne.org remedy), head and shoulders, and even prescriptions pills + topical creams but not much luck. It's killed my confidence and now I just want to kill myself. I want to try accutane or some other prescription but I don't have money to go to the doctor and I'd certainly an hero in the depressed state I am now. Should I even be this concerned? Do people (particularly females) even care if you have bacne? I'd like to hear your opinions on it. Also, any other remedies that might cure it. Thanks.

That's not bacne, that's lupus. Google image lupus.

who the fuck cares if people care, it hurts like a bitch. I feel like i have it as bad as the picture too.

you need to wash your sheets more and be sure to rise all the detergent out of them, detergent and all other soaps attract dirt and even bacteria, if you don't wash out all the detergent from your sheets your sweat will mix with the dust and bacteria in the air and shit will grow on your bed. what the dust mites don't eat will find it's way onto and into your skin. pay close attention to your personal environment and you can prevent this sort of thing. probably more than 90% of kids I see in the pharmacies and hospitals looking for cures to their acne are filthy people who could use a lesson in personal hygiene and self respect
>> Anonymous
have you been watching what you eat? whenever i ate mcdonalds, i would always get these giant zits on my nose or chin, they weren't like normal zits because they were extremely noticeable and lasted about 2 months before they even went away. also try getting more vitamin A and zinc in your body
>> Anonymous
OP here. I have considered that washing my towels, sheets, etc could help a lot so I try to keep them as fresh as possible but its a pain to wash your sheets every week when you dont have your own washer/dryer.

As for my diet--it's pretty healthy. I stopped eating fast food but that really made a difference. I'll try more vitamins.

I've been told to go in the sun and that will dry my skin out and give it some vitamin D. But I've almost given up on anything. I feel like nothing will help and it's only going to get worse.

>>I've been told to go in the sun and that will dry my skin out and give it some vitamin D

that will help you in short term, but long term, when your acne comes back it will be much worse

I don't think it really matters for mine. I haven't washed my sheets for quite a while and my bacne is gradually starting to get better for some reason.

>>200356
Diet doesn't really matter for me either, except for soda. I've basically eliminated fast food in my diet, but it didn't make a huge difference. Eliminating soda completely did, however. I actually wonder why I even have acne in the first place, probably genetics.

Dermatologist?

Ew is that really your back?

Dude go to the dermatologist. Earn the money to go. In the meantime, follow everyone else's advice. Never EVER pick at your back. Wash your back reguarly - maybe more than once a day to make sure you are constantly washing off the oil that builds throughout the day, but never make it so dry that your back gets triggered to make more. It's a shitty balance you have to keep.

Short term sunlight is good. Also, try swimming outside for a while. Chlorine helped me a lot when I had acne.
>> '95Formula
>>200596
Chlorine helps a lot. Oh, and dont eat chocolate, fast foods, etc. Anything greasy pretty much.

It also depends on your age, when I was in my teens I had some bacne, but it wasnt terrible.

Sorry, but please end this thread. I really can't stand looking at that image anymore.

if your acne is even similar to what is pictured, you should definitely consider accutane.

Acutane makes some people suicidal. Just wanted to let you know, happened to my gf (she didn't commit though, thank God.) Doesn't happen to everyone though, and it DID get rid of her acne.

1 case. No proof of connection to accutane. Stop spreading your misinformed bullshit.
>> Anonymous
Honestly, for probably 90% of people it doesn't matter what you eat, and acne has nothing to do with how much you wash yourself.

I have some bacne, but I've been taking accutane. I can't say I have a lot of cash, but it's definitely worth it if your dermotologist will prescribe it to you.

I've been using it for about 3 or 4 months and my face is totally clear, and my back is probably 80% cleared up.

My doctor told me it was the only way to get rid of it.

Several studies have suggested a possible link between isotretinoin and clinical depression.[16][17] However, no conclusive evidence has been produced. Despite this, the argument that isotretinoin caused depression and suicide has won a few lawsuits, and is partially responsible for the strict control of the drug, especially in the United States. Various case reports of depression, suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, and suicide in patients treated with isotretinoin have been reported to the U.S. FDA Adverse Events Reporting System, with 431 cases reported between 1982 and May 2001 – of these 37 patients had committed suicide.[18] While analyses have suggested an association between isotretinoin therapy and depression, no causal relationship has been established and further studies are required.[19][20]

Studies have shown that patients with acne, the population group eligible to receive isotretinoin therapy, have an increased risk of clinical depression compared with the general population.[21][22] Chee Hong describes Isotretinoin-related depression as "an idiosyncratic side-effect", claiming, often anxiety can bring on acne and depression, creating more anxiety.[23] Correspondingly, treatment of severe acne with isotretinoin has been shown to reduce anxiety and depression, for tests have shown acne to be a main depressant in most tested patients' lives.[24][25]

Um right, as for my personal case - I felt great while on Acutane, because it made that shit go away.

And to OP, don't be afraid of it; but if you believe that there is a potential for problems, stay on your toes.

fuck

i'm 20 years old,and i still have this annoying acne problem. All my friends are clearing up,but not me.

i'm cautious with what i eat,i avoided seafood and greasy foods, and ate fruits frequently, and i wash my face twice everyday. It still keeps on coming.

the dermatologist would not prescribe any heavy hitters like accutane or antibiotics, since my acne problem deemed not severe.

One or two pops out frequently, but never a butt load of it at once.Mostly on my cheek,it used to pop out in my forehead area, but its clean and clear in that area now, regardless how oily and dirty it is,which is weird.

Yes, people care. Girls will run away screaming, what you have is worse than being 300 pounds and 50% body fat. Seriously, it's incredibly disgusting.

The bad part is this is something you can hide, so a chick might like your face and the fact that you aren't too fat, but then you go to do it for the first time and she sees THAT? She's going to up and leave that second and your self-esteem will be hit even harder than if she outright refused to go out with you for being fat or something.

And you can't really cure it. If it goes away, you're likely going to have a fucking scarred up back that'll look even worse (imagine the surface of the moon). Hope you can afford surgery.

If you were to take accutane, that'll only make your depression worse. That's one of the side effects, Depression.

Everything is true. But I can imagine a girl would deal with a scarred back if she liked you that much. Shit, I would. But acne like that? Yeeah... deal breaker. Would be scared to touch it.

Life has been depressing since life existed, bigger thing kills smaller thing to -> everything and everyone you love/build/cherish/protect will be lost and there is nothing you can do about it... o and you get to die too.

acutane can only make your life better, take it.

Do you have herpes? No. AIDS? No. Then suck it up and deal with your problems.

And apparently get accutane as well as it seems that it will help you.

HI, I'm certified in skin care and tanning. A cheap way to get rid it is to try tanning. When it gets that bad, topical creams will not work. You're going to need to take something oral for about a month. On top of that get a membership for tanning and work up to the high pressure beds, you'll be surprised how tanning clears up so much acne. And, I'll share a secret with you because I couldn't imagine what you're going through. Mix baking soda, alcohol, and dawn (old fashion blue), apply it to the affected area and let it sit for a while, IT WILL BURN, that is until it clears up enough. I've come up with this mixture myself to help a friend with horrible back acne. If you'd like, you can mix some benzoyl peroxide with that, but keep the baking soda content high. What I'd do is I'd spray regular peroxide on his back, let it sit for a couple of minute, spray it a second time, let it sit a few minute, and then apply the mixture for a good 10-20 minutes. It burns, but after only a week, the results were amazing and with in 4 weeks he was almost completely cleared up, first time I have ever seen him cry he was just so happy to be able to hang out at the pool without people staring. Good luck and do try tanning with the peroxide and mixture treatment. It should show promising results.

what do you mean with "dawn"?
>> Soldat !SOLDattErw
>>201357
You're not certified in shit. Tans will only conceal the bacne.

To the OP:

1. Mix approx. 2 teaspoons of baking soda with water. Put enough water in to make a semi-thick paste, about the consistency of a thick cream cleanser.
2. Rub it onto your back and chest (and wherever else you may suffer from body acne, though I only used it on my back and chest).
3. Hop in the shower and exfoliate with a loofah.

Tanning does help. A mild sunburn works wonders.
Activates your skin, kills bacteria, skin sheds, and pigmentation is evened out.
>> Anonymous
my bacne was entirely down to me rubbing a towel across my back after a shower, which causes irritation and flares. if you just pat dry rather than rub that might help, it fixed mine up.

if your near the ocean or a salt water pool, swim in it daily.

the sun will kill off shit via UV, and the salt water will clean the open sores. and yeah roaccutane was fucken crazy to be on. super dry lips, peeling hands, really fucked up, but it got rid of it.

if you can't afford the roaccutane, get life insurance, become an hero, collect the money and buy roaccutane. then suck all the cocks you do want

Accutane didn't work for me :(
Helped, yes,
but I've still got mild bacne and acne, even on differin

OP here... I'll try the baking soda thing. Seems like others have had positive results with that.

About the tanning/burning...I'm wondering if a pretty bad sunburn I got when I was younger on my shoulders/back area has anything to do with my bacne problem. I was about 13 when it happened and I was acne free then. A few years later I started getting bacne and it's just gotten worse. So I almost want to try to give my back A LITTLE sunlight. It only seems natural to give your skin some sun. Thanks for all the input!

Shut up. It's a POSSIBLE side-effect, and even then it's not completely clear whether or not accutane really affects people's chemical balances.

It should be remembered that most people who take accutane are teens... teens tend to have bad hormones to begin with.
>> Anonymous
Moxycycline, try and get prescribed it from your Dermatologist, i've been using it for a few weeks and i'm starting to see a moderate change. It's just an antibiotic.

I also remember when i dug out this chunk of bacne on my shoulder once... good times.

also try Tazorac cream, you just put that shit on at night and you don't have to worry about it at all, it's really helped out with my face a lot over the years.

other then that... Accutane could be a solution!

best of luck, fellow bacne victim here.
