Sup /fit/,

First of all, I'm male and in pretty good shape. After hearing about how much it is praised here on /fit/, I want to start incorporating HIIT into my routines. I've done a bit of research so far, but the concept is still pretty confusing.

Basically, what I want to do is to do HIIT on days where I don't work out. I'm planning to do something like this:

Day 1 Workout, Day 2 HIIT, Day 3 Workout (My legs/SQUATZ day), Day 4 Rest if I need it, Day 5 HIIT, Day 6 Workout, Day 7 HIIT.

Would that work or am I doing it completely wrong? Is it also worth it to do HIIT if I'm also trying to gain muscle as well? Thanks.

maybe take atleast one day to take a break :P
other than that, i'm sure you'd be fine.

why not run on your lift days and rest in between?

Would that work better? I was thinking of doing that but I was afraid that I'd be too exhausted to do both on the same day.

If you're doing both of them properly, then you probably would be. Your schedule looks fine as it is.
