After a soda-filled childhood, I can't stand drinking water. Are there any relatively healthy alternatives to water that I could drink? Anything with some sort of taste.

You refuse to drink water? What the hell is wrong with you? Fucking man up and drink it, Christ.

Life Water I've found is pretty good, but you really need clear clean water.

Be mature and drink water. Cut sugar and fake sugar out of your diet.

I had a soda-filled childhood too. You're not special. Man up and drink water. It's not disgusting at all. You're being a pussy.

But it's boring. I'm boring. I need my drinks to be exciting to compensate for my inadequacy.

Try POWERTHIRST, the drink that will make you UNCOMFORTABLY ENERGETIC.

I like to mix juice and seltzer water. You could do this by slow steps. The carbonation makes the water a lot more exciting, and juice starts out with more sugar in it than soda.
Once you're comfortable drinking half and half, you could switch to just seltzer water, and then see if water helps from there.
Also, try keeping water around yourself (Nalgene, bottle, whatever). If you feel thirsty, it'll be easiest to reach for what's there, and if water's there enough, you might get used to it.

Drink it anyway you simp. I was the same way, probably worse because water seemed to make my stomach turn, but I got used to it, and I love it now.

you. get. the. fuck. over. it.

I love water, why do you not like it OP? :'(

Anyone tried Barley Tea and whether it's good? From the manga I've been reading and looking up at the stuff, I assume its mostly water but also sweet. And also healthier than drinking squash or juice.
>> Anonymous
Barley tea isn't what I'd call sweet, at least not the Korean kinds I've had. It's definitely pleasant though.

But the taste of water is something you will appreciate after a while, especially after having a lifetime full of flavor-filled bullshit. I would suggest gradually getting into it, along with tea perhaps since that's not too bad. You get to the point where nothing else feels as clean as water, and you can even tell the difference between bottled water brands. Well, at least I can. I prefer Dasani and Aquafina over the likes of Nestle (which is a bit sweet for some reason), and Arrowhead with its stinky minerals.

similar here, was raised on Diet soda so I'm not huge. I end up binge drinking water, and get sick of it real quick

How the fuck can you not drink water? Your fucking kidneys must be in a mess.

I love water, and I also think Arrowhead taste sucks.

Anytime I go too long without drinking water (in the comp labs they only got soda and juice), I gotta head back home, open my 5 gallon jug, and just start chugging.

Crystal light. You can make two liter things to chug it down. Sure it's got artifical sweetener, but unless you're schizophrenic you probably won't care that much. If you're worried about sugar try some unsweetened ice tea.

What the hell? Your parents raised you on soft drinks? How old are they? 20?

After reading this thread I'm beginning to appreciate the lack of candy and soda in my childhood. My mother was immune to "but everyone else".

For healthier alternatives there are a lot of carbonated, flavoured waters that contain little to no sugar. I've hears that the bubbles are the most "addictive" part of soda, is that true?

I drink a lot of green tea.
Add a dab of honey for sweetness.

I manned up and started to drink water. Now I'm used to it.

My dad manned up for diet sodas, and everyone mans up for beer.

Tea is good. But you have to test brands, most are purely for the scent, and many taste like plants... and I don't think that's what you're looking for. Try to find a good cinnamon tea if you can, it's already sweet, so you don't have to add honey (which is 60 calories a tsp BTW).

Seriously though, just stop being a fat-ass and drink the water. After about a month or two you'll get accustomed to it, and it will actually gross you out to drink soda.

I had soda throughout my childhood along with sweet juices like Sunny D and crap like that, and I switched to water just fine. Grow a pair

I fawking love those little zero calorie sweeteners like those crystal light packets. The portion is perfect for a bottle already! Its great.

As far as teas go, I personally like Earl Grey. Lady Grey is alright too, if you want a bit of citrus scent/flavor in there too.

I personally avoid those water additives, as I feel that drinking those sugar substitutes feels worse than an actual soda. You may want to try squeezing a bit of lemon or orange into your water. I know some people like that, although I personally don't like it much.

Those water additives are not always filled with sugar. Crystal light is calorie free! Drink that for a little more flavor without the sugar

i hear there's this wonderful new drink called 'tears.' apparently people shed them when they 'drank too much soda when they were kids and can't handle water.'
