Hey /fit/, I'm trying to gain weight, however I don't count calories or anything like that. All I do is lift a shit ton until I can't lift any more every other day (squatz, deadlifts, compound exercises in general) and eat until I almost explode (yellow split peas, lean meats, carbs before workout, recovery shake and lots of protein after workout, drink a gallon of water a day etc.). Is this acceptable or should I be refining my routine to a fine science?pic slightly related, he lifts lightweight babies.

If your routine works for you, it works. But using stricter, "scientific" methods are always a sure bet.
