Hi /fit/ so I decided to join up with a gym about 2 weeks ago. The resident personal trainer set me up with a starting weights routine to be done 3 times a week + as much cardio as I want. In the routine he included a plank. I'm supposed to hold the plank for as long as I possibly can, twice, with a minute between planks.Problem is, doing a plank is boring as fuck. I have to hold it for like 5 minutes at a time. What I'm asking for is something to replace the god awful plank in my routine.

Ab Cable crunches.
Stick with the plank, if you want something else (easier) then don't bother.
I just find it really boring, I'd rather do something with some weights or something where you move, rather than lie around for 11 minutes.
Some things in life are boring, but we still should do them.
