hay guys im deployed to iraq my 5thm month in with nothing to do with the little free time i have but work. I'm taking muscle milk and nano x9 for general recovery from the gym and missions. What do you think of the combo? Is there anything else i should add?

You could be taking creatine for muscle mass. Not sure if muscle milk has l-glutamine in it but you can always get some cheap stuff sent to you. Flameout from biotest is badass for inflammation/joints but you can just get some cheap fish oil and that will help with ground pounding on patrols or in general running around.

it has the l-glutamine

flameout? I'ma have to check it out thanks

Yeah, the guys from t-nation own biotest and they have a lot of good stuff but it's expensive and the ingredients compared to like nature's own fish oil arn't that different (for flameout). You could try some ZMA for natural testosterone production, superfood is badass but expensive as hell, anyways, l-glutamine is for recovery.

Jewfag here. Arab babies are high in protein and healthy fats. It's always puzzled me that you americans soldiers don't take the next logical step after you've kill them.

Not OP but smell one and then say that.

Isn't glutamine still not really proven? I've heard that orally ingested, it cannot survive your stomach acid or something along those lines.

no, glutamine is prove to be effective.
It is not easily absorbed though.
Best way is to put it under your tongue for some minutes. That way, the peptides in your saliva will make it absorbable. Eat with some carbs, like a fruit juice or a banana.
Do not mix with milkshake, the milk "coats" the intestines and prevents absorbtion for a bit.

correction: peptides are more complex aminoacids.
It's just better to put the stuff under the tongue for absorbtion.
Glutamine seems to be more effective for cardio sports, since the glutamin level drops more rapidly.
BCAA is recommended for weight lifting in the first place.
But what do I know? Use the goggles.

Hey trooper,

Muscle Milk (how the hell do you get that over there anyway?) is good as a supplement, NOT as a meal replacement.

The nano pills from muscle tech aren't that good...there are FAR better NO products out there, pill form and powder.

You gotta tell me what your options are (how and where are you getting your supplements from) so that I can give you some good recommendations.

As for protein...Iraqi provinces are known to have Kabob parlors littered throughout, which are pretty much grilled lean meats (lamb, beef or chicken) with herbs and spices. These are good to consider for your primary source of proteins.

Let me know so I can help.

Come back safe...

you probably have some dead babies lying around the base, they are really high in protein and omega-3's.
