Hello /fit/
Do any of you have any experience dealing with trigger finger? I've been happily lifting 3-4 times weekly for the past 4 months until a few days back when my hand ended up like the pic.

Thankfully for me, it's not painful and I can still free my finger on my own. It normally sticks in the morning but its okay after ten minutes. Then it pops up the next morning again.

I'd appreciate if any of you have any methods of dealing with it. I'm thinking of some finger exercises, moist heat, cod liver oil, glucosamine, finger splints... stuff like that. What say you /fit/?

This happened to my mom, she went to the doctor for it. They charged some ungodly amount for a finger brace. It's back to normal though.

OP here. Really? That's good news! Do you know how long it took for it to heal? Did she have to wear the brace all the time?

Yes, she wore it all the time, but I'm not sure for how long. She ended up ditching the doctor's brace because it wouldn't stay on when she washed dishes and used popsicle sticks instead...

that happens to me from time to time, but i can always lock it out easily without any help.

OP here. I was thinking of the popsicle sticks splint too! Im actually using a highlighter due to my fingers being XBOX hueg.

Well... thanks alot for the info! I'm really glad that this thing doesn't seem permanent! I hope any other anons out there have helpful suggestions too.
