hi!

so i bought a blender because i figured i wasnt getting my fresh 5 a day and wanted to make some smoothies and the like. the past few days i´ve had banana, peach, nectarine, oats, ginger, kiwi, carrots all chucked in the blender to make delicious nutritious beverages.

problem is, i woke up this morning and promptly had 3 really loose stools. like spraying the bowl.

i have ulcerative colitis, which is medaicated and usually fairly controlled. is it normal to have the shits after so much blended goodness or have i aggravated my disease?

Your body reacts any time you change your diet significantly.

It's just here everyone calls it kiwifruit.

Kinda like Americans (some at least) say tunafish.

Does that matter? The veg fiber goes into your bowels the same either way, doesn't it? It's just that your mouth and stomach have less work to do.

Im curious about this. Every time i put oats into my diet, the shit sprays out and I pass gas all the fucking time. If I stick with the oats, will my body adjust and stop being a shit dumpster?

It should, especially the gas part. All whole grains will make you gassy if you're not used to them, but you need them, so just get used to it and you'll adjust.

Okay, ill give an oats based diet a third chance and ill stick with it, thanks anon.

this. Once your body gets used to having all this fruit in your diet you'll be fine. Maybe lighten the load a little, work your way up. Or eat solid fruits more.
