Hey /fit/. I went from 230 to 165 pounds from February to August, and ever since i felt "done" i've been eating candy and all kinds of crap pretty much every day, but i still haven't gained weight, which is weird. I decided to start going on a diet again, since i will most probably get fat again if i don't.
I'm about 6'0 tall and i weigh 165 pounds.

I want a flat stomach. I also want to get rid of the manboobs. Do i go back to eating 1200 calories a day and lose a few pounds until i'm satisfied or will i see better results from working out and eating alot?

Also, why haven't i gained any weight? I must have eaten more than 2300 calories a day for two months and i've hardly worked out at all during this period.

2300 cal is basically maintanance for a guy your size,so with your lack of exercize and poor eating habits, you may not see weight gain, but your body composition is most likely changing to less muscle more fat.

at your size if you want to gain muscle you should be eating about 3000cal with heavy lifting.a lot of guys want to lose weight to get a sixpack, but if your not working out it might not be there.honestly i think you're undrweight for your height and should probobly think about putting on muscle.

if you insist on continuing weight loss i would suggest that you at least start lifting so you dont end up to skinny, and definately start doing situps and crunches if you want the sixpack to be there some day

Thanks for the input - i don't really care about the weight... i just want to look good, i guess, and the way to go is either a calorie surplus or a calorie deficit, and you would recommend heavy lifting and about 3000 calories a day?
