So I've started working out with some of the p90x methods and I'm doing 100pushups.com.

There any other good online resources for exercises that do not require gym equipment? About all I have is a pair of 35 pound dumb-bells.

Save your money. Are you trying to strength training, tone certain parts, or just lose weight? If you just want to lose weight all you really need to do is run, and running is totally fucking free. Add some push ups and sit ups and maybe some aerobics and you're good as gold. You don't really need anything else. I bought a Reebok Step off eBay cuz it was cheep and let me add step aerobics to my work out.

I've been considering simply getting a weight bench/set. I have concerns lifting heavy without a spotter. But really, no one has any preferred online sites or DL's for quality work-outs that don't involve going to the gym/needing a spotter?

I like what I've seen of p90x, should I just stick with that?

Not OP

A little of both? I don't want to bulk up large amounts. I'm already a muscular person by nature. I'd like to lose my gut and put *some* muscle on.

Regarding running, I don't want to do it too much. I have bad knees (skateboarded, played football and wrestled my whole life, now I work as a server and walk probably 40 miles a week) and get tendonitis all the time.

So yeah, mainly I'd like to lose weight but I'd also like to build a bit of muscle as well. Especially my core and back.

Ignore all these idiots. Go to www.rosstraining.com and order Never Gymless. It contains everything you want to know about working out without a gym.

Thanks. That's exactly the sort of info I was looking to gather.

Can anon give a sample of Never Gymless before I blow $25 on it?

i considered that as well, but i have a real job and the weight set was just easier.

or some kind of inkling that it's not the same tired ass bilge that is available freely in every corner of the internet.

I don't need to spend $25 on a book that tells me I need to exercise. I want directions longer than Step 1: run, Step 2: a lot. I want some diagrams and reasons why I'm increasing difficulty with each rep or why I have to rest every other day.

My physician gave me a plan that I can't do and told me "It isn't going to be easy." Which in physician speak means fuck off lard ass you are never going to lose weight.

I'll buy every book on that page if they help me, but I'm not going to spend $25 on a xerox of a workout plan.

I don't think you've got what it takes OP. Resign yourself to being a fat sack of shit.
