Baby powder does the opposite of chalk: it makes things slippery (so don't get them mixed up!). This can be useful for deadlifting because the bar may scrape unpleasantly along your thighs.

Build the calluses. Then you won't even need chalk because your skin will become tough like leather and give you better grip.
