When weight lifting or doing repetitive movement, once your arms or legs start getting that burning ripping feeling (I don't know how to describe it, but it's a really strong feeling that makes you want to stop) will your muscles rip or something if you keep going? Or are you supposed to keep going no matter what after you get that feeling? For some reason I actually like the feeling but I'm afraid of causing serious or permanent damage so I stop and rest for 30 seconds to a minute before continuing.

If you keep going you'll die, so don't keep going.

That feeling means you're close to death, you must have a really weak heart.

The best thing for you to do is to lift until you can't anymore(you should get a spotter for this).

Your muscles rip and tear the entire time you work out. That and there's a buildup of lactic acid. This is the "feel the burn" you keep hearing about. You should stop any exercise if it becomes PAINFUL but many people enjoy the burning.

Specifically, lactic acid will move into overexerted muscles to provide a rich fuel for the tiring muscles. It, along with normal tearing damage, is one of the reasons you need to avoid working the same muscle groups two days in a row; it needs time to wash out.

Muscle tearing promotes muscle repair, which is accompanied by muscle growth. Congratulations, you're on your way to bulding XBOX HUEG muscles.

Yes. Also, do cardio to strengthen the heart if you're worried. Actually, do it even if you're not.

You're not likely to cause permananet damage unless you lift extremely heavy weights with poor form.

What you're doing is actually the proper way to lift. Do X repetitions until muscle exhaustion or failure, rest for 30 sec to 2 minutes, then do another set of X repetitions
