Greetings from /o/

This fell on me at work. I was near the base when a bay door opened. lifted the legs, and this hoist rolled over my right arm and shoulder. I noticed it at the last second, was working on some tires, and was low to begin with. When it hit me, it rolled across my tricep, and stopped, with two tires taking some of the weight off of me. My arm all but useless now, can finally breath normally, and am in physical therapy.

My question is, what exercises can I to that do not involve tightening that arm? I'm extremely surprised how much I do tightens it, even though it's in a sling. I cannot even run, as that shakes it.

Tossing a medicine ball (like catch) really loosens your muscles. No, seriously.

Nothing then? I cannot use the arm, the muscle is torn.

try some static holds using differnt body parts besides that arm. Even these might stress the arm. A low impact eliptical might be good for running. But you should really complete you physical therapy before you start to do crazy shit

Your in physical therapy...ASK YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPIST YOU DOUCHEBAG. We don't know the extent of your injury, your therapist does, not to mention (s)he is a greater authority on what workouts you can do.

He and she both want me to be completely immobile. This is next to impossible not only because I'm normally extremely active (box, mechanic, kids), I'm just eating away at all the food in the house. I figure if I'm stationary, there could be something I could do. I had three pots of coffee today, I'm jittery, I'm going crazy. Forgive my impatience, i need to do something, I already feel fat
