I use glutamine too. Along with BCAAs, yeah, they taste like ass.
I take a spoonful because if I mix it with my whey it'll funk up the taste.
If you're skipping the whey (which is fine), just make sure you're not skimping on your daily protein intake AT ALL. Glutamine helps with better protein synthesis, so no protein = might as well drain it down the shitter.
