hi /fit/

this is what i look like, nothing special.
I'm 2o, 66kg, 170cm / 5"6 140.5 pounds.
ive got bit of a belly, but i have abs under it.

i just want some general tips on anything and everything i guess.
from how to shape my abdominals to working and toning my arms and to strengthen my general fitness and body strength.

will post more pics as soon as i resize them

i have problems working my chest.
theres little toned muscle in there, but mostly all the toned muscles are close to my arm.
i want to work the area close to the centre of my rib cage (sternum?) and the flat areas, but nothing seems to be working.

oh, i go to the gym every sunday or so, but mostly its just weighting drop weights. the gym doesnt have anything like a swimming pool or punching bag, just stadiums and weights.

Start going 3 times a week at least, going once a week will do fuck all for you. Also, hit the treadmills there and use HIT.

my job doesnt allow my to go to the gym so often, so i do stuff at home like crunches and push ups.
pushups will strengthen my chest area right?

Strengthen... you could say that, well you're mostly gonna gain endurance but certainly not mass, if you want mass (and therefore volume), benchpress

Hardly.

I don't go to a gym either (can't afford it right now) but I have a personal home gym that I use.
Since you said you work, go out and buy some free weights, maybe some extra Olympic disks for your deadlifts. That should get you well into bulking up, as long as you eat right as well.

And pushups, while offering you endurance will not give you an epic chest. Buy the freeweights and use them till such time as you can go to the gym, even at 4am.
