I just went running for about 7 minutes, first time in quite a while. Walked about 3 mins after that, and stretched.

I'm 6' and weight 160 pounds. When I was done, I thought I might die. My heart was beating incredibly fast and hard, and my lungs were at the brink of collapse. I also had shittons of mucous in my throat (I usually cough up in the shower for about 2-4 minutes everyday).

My legs felt little strain. What's wrong? Is it just that I haven't strained my cardiovascular system in too long?

Don't drink anything with sugar at least an hour before run or you get mucous like mad. You a smoker too? Cuz that would explain alot. Or you're just insanely outta shape.

All I had this morning was some unsweetened tea and water. I am not a smoker.

I have never been tested for hay fever, but I have no symptoms.. well actually my eyes are red fairly often, and I have mucuous basically constantly for the past 3 years.. maybe it is hay fever?

warm up first then. Walk for 10 minutes, run for 5 and then walk for 10 again. Do that for like a week or so and slowly increase the time of running. Also eat something before running. I can only recently run on an empty stomach, but I've been running for 5 months now.

yes, it could well be an allergy. get yourself tested, it's simpler in the long term to find out what is actually happening.
