Hey /fit/. I don't want to be too serious on 4chan, but I wanna say something about the memes on this board, the SQUATZ and DEADZ and OATZ. I kept seeing these posts again and again, and like half the people on this board I thought to myself:

"Hurr my legs are big enough I want to wear skinny jeans I want to work on my upper body I just want to get toned hurr durr hurr."

It kept getting posted though, SQUATZ DEADZ OATZ, so today I said fuck it, I’ll give it a shot.

I woke up and ate OATZ and drank WHEY ISOLATE and went to the gym. I did SQUATZ. I did DEADZ. I did calf raises and hamstring curls and used the leg extension machine. I worked the big muscles with INTENSITY for the first time in my life. When I was done could barely walk.

And then an amazing thing happened /fit/. I felt better than I have in YEARZ. It was the fucking SQUATZ and DEADZ. It’s the cornerstone. I fucking get it now.

All day everything has been clearer. Good music sounds better, shitty music makes me RAGE. OATZ and WHEY taste great. I look everyone I meet in the eye with confidence. Everywhere I go I feel as comfortable as I do walking through my own living room. The fucking SQUATZ showed me the religious center of /fit/ness. All hail SQUATZ.

So if you have been lurking /fit/ like I was, questioning the validity of the statements that get repeated here again and again until they are considered memes, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. It was a real eye opener for me. Thanks, /fit/.

Pic related: it’s SQUATZILLA, patron saint of SQUATZ. I feel like I could kick Tokyo into the ocean today.

same story as OP.
Never bothered with the squatz and deadz because I thought they were too hardcore.

Then one day I went to the gym and did them. Now i'm completely addicted. Just hanging around the house all day waiting to go back to the gym to do some more SQUATZ.

From the corner of the gym where the BIG men train, Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain Where the big iron rides high and threatens lives, Where the noise is made with big forty-fives, A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees, A very big man with legs like trees. Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack Chalking his hands and monstrous back, said, "Boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten, The trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN'
