I know this might sound cintradictive but fuck it, is there a fine line between bulking and cutting?
I mean could i do both at once? not bulking to get xbawks hueg just add more size?

my experience: bulking and cutting is for pros.
If you are average joe, just train, eat and sleep.
You lose fat and get muscle.

>>294999
how is it for pros? You lift and eat and eat and eat until you're big. Then you just run all the excess fat off. Not exactly pro technique.

I'm in the bulking phase myself. I just eat non-stop. No point in trying to lose any fat right now. Just eat whatever the fuck I want. oh nom nom nom

If you're not training hardcore or on steroids and shit, your body doesn't need THAT much protein or calories to maximize your gains.

Fat-ish newbies can easily lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.

Bulking is a calorie surplus, creating an optimal muscle building zone.

Cutting is creating a calorie deficit, creating a (if you're doing it right) fat burning zone.

We can't tell you what your daily meal should look like, since we don't know who the fuck you are. You on a bulking phase may need to intake less food than a bodybuilder would need on a cutting phase.

No, you cannot do them both. No, you don't have to do them to gain progression. Yes, doing so will rapidly increase progression. I was able to reach my brothers level of strength in two years with proper nutritional and lifting techniques, after he had been fucking around and lifting for roughly twelve years.

>not bulking to get xbawks hueg just add more size?

Size comes from bulking. You do not suddenly wake up covered head to toe in muscle, it is ridiculously gradual. If you want to reach a goal as quickly as possible, approach it with an xbawks hueg mindset.

actually there is a swede builder who have a technique of bulking and cutting every 2-3 weeks. this is cause sayense has found that the effects of bulk and cut are most extreme in the start of a period. first period you gain 2 kg muscle and 1kg fat, next you loose 1kg muscle and 3kg fat and so and so on. this swede maintains 120kg with body fat close to zero.

Close to zero + catching the flu in the winter or harsh allergies in the summer = death.

I'm glad he spends all day taking care of his body so a gust of wind can kill him one day.

A healthy athlete will have at least 6% body fat, & most sports (even sports like sprinting or short distance swimming) will allow for a fair few percentage points more. Anything under 6% is really for show & absolutely pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Fact is fat really isn't that heavy & in the single digits it's almost never constricting in any way.

You guys can pretend you know what you're talking about if you want, but I wouldn't dare try & get my fat percentage lower than 7% for any reason.

you and my both, man. i love weights, i love calisthenics, i love plyometrics, but i hate every single form of cardio.

the best things i can think of are burpees & shadow boxing. i can get enough cardio doing hiit burpees, shadow boxing, &/or jump roping when i'm in a good mood.

Can I just do a shit ton of sprints instead of running at a stupidly slow pace for an extended amount of time?

>>295295

You absolutely should. It's called High Intensity Interval Training & it is more effective than distance running.

If you hate cardio though, I would suggest listening to>>295292

Burpees: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_Dq_NCzj8M

& Shadow Boxing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUJDKUDI0cY

used as mediums for HIIT training are actually really fun & will work you in ways you can't describe.
