Wtf /fit/. I did squats like in the picture (without the hand weights though) and my knees felt like they were about to explode.

Are my knees just fucked or am I not doing it right?

there should be no pressure whatsoever on the knees, all of it should be on your thighs hips and core down to your feet.

my knees were fine after doing 445 various squats with weights, and no i'm not a 4chan fibber highest weight was on my back squat with 95# lowest was 30# KB goblet squat

OP here. No, I didn't use any weights at all. I wanted to try them without the weights and I'm glad I did now, because I would have been pissed if I fucked my knees up.

By the way, I am a girl and lazy as hell. Starting to try and get my lazy ass moving more to lose weight. This was just part of what I was trying on an off day.

Some people have problems in the knees when they go very deep.
Did you made a complete squat?

make sure your knees stay behind your toes
if they go ahead of your toes you can damage them

squat deep, toes can go over feet. if you HAVE problems, its YOUR fault w/muscles/joint mobility posture issues. NOT the squat's fault. the body has a way of passing things up or down the chain when there is a problem

Youtube has plenty of vids on proper exercise form. Stop being a lazy bitch and search. Taking the time to do the research yourself is a good step in the right direction when it comes to beating laziness.
