How many calories Anonymous
/fit/, how many calories do I need a day? I'm 6' 283 and have been dieting and walking 2-4 miles a day and lifting weights for the last week. I've been eating very healthy and not eating anything with a large amount of calories since I started the diet and I'm not sure I'm getting enough.

Google calorie calculator, find out your daily calorie usage, then go no more than 500-600 under that.

How many do you get daily?

Not OP, but one site tells me I need 2704 Calories/day another says 4500, what do I believe? Any recommended sites?

OP here, if walking 2-4 miles a day and lifting weights counts as active then one site says I need 3150, if that's somewhat active then 2900.
I don't know how many calories I'm getting a day, but I think I might have cut out too much too fast. I'm going to start counting them for a few days.

I'd say it's probably closer to 2700.

You sould google the calculator and subtract 200 calories from that number and there are your target calories per day.
