Hello, /fit/. I figured you guys might be able to help a newbie out.I've been practicing Krav Maga for a month now and we're starting to get pretty rough in practice. I've gotten a few very nasty hits to my face already, so I figured I should buy a mouthguard. I get a discount from this sports store so I bought the only model they had in stock; Adidas Senior.I've never molded these before so I'm looking for advice and tips on getting right the first time. The instructions that came with the product were written in horrible, horrible English and aren't much help.So far, I figure the process is along these lines; I dip them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then dip them in cold water and place them in my mouth (upper teeth). Sucking them against my teeth I then press them tighter with my fingers until they cool down.Anything else I should know about?
no
I'm not sure as to whether I should bite them or not.
Don't bite them. Press them against your UPPER teeth with your thumbs for about 1 minute. Put back in boiling water for 5 sec, back in cold water and then press them against your teeth again if they didn't fit well the first time.
Get proper fitted ones.
Bite it faggot.
you hold the boiling water in your mouth for 30 seconds while you bite down on the mouth guard...works every time
Boil it, dip it in cold water, then put it in your mouth. If you don't bite then it won't fit. If you bite too hard then it'll come out too thin. Apply pressure, but not too much.
Thanks, guys. Appreciate the help.
