I used to be fat, then became kind of anorexic, and now I'm underweight without any muscular mass. Been eating well for a few years.

If I happen to do any exercise I don't want to get bulky, want to remain skinny but with defined muscles and physical resistance.

What would be the best way to achieve this, and how long would it take? I'm 18

then do low weight/high reps

lots of cardio

low weight high rep are useless, you're better off doing pushup and running fag

Bulk. Do high weight, low rep compound exercises. Squats, Deadlifts and benchpresses will make you gain muscle faster than any other exercises. Eat a lot of healthy foods, and eat like 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

After you've gained how much muscle you want, start your cutting phase. Continue to lift weights, but do more cardio and cut your calories while still eating the same healthy food you have been.
