lifting and poops Anonymous
I've been into a powerlifting routine for a year or so now -- based around deadlifts, benches and squats. Working up to 1 rep of a max weight.

The problem is that after I lift heavy, I always get the shits. Since I go to the gym twice a week, I spend a ton of time on the crapper. Is this normal? I'm taking protein supplements, but nothing special.

this kid is probably more ripped than 50% of /fit/

Believe me, that weights not going anywhere with the size of his pecks.

Drink coffee or whatever has a laxative effect for your body, wait, take a shit, then go workout.

The first time I saw that kid I got depressed. I am 175lbs and can only do 250 compared to his 135 lbs?

lol back to the gym

It is all the protein. More protein = more shitting. Those supplements are hard on your guts.

OP here, BTW I'm 175 lb and deadlifting 440, benching 275, but still pretty damn skinny.

I don't think shitting before will help. It's usually a couple hours after and then all the next day or two. I'm not sure if it's the physical exertion or the protein powder. But my ass is getting raw.

It is the protein, bitch.

OK, then what can i do to save my asshole from this fire?

well, 250 IS pathetic for a deadlift. You should be able to deadlift 350lbs at 175lbs as a beginner. From there on training gets a bit more complicated.

OATZ MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU EAT THEM?

Yah, I had some back pain with it for awhile, so I backed off. Now that my squat has caught up, I realized I am way behind on the deadlift.

pathetic, though? no more pathetic than posting on 4chan methinks

This guy talks some shit, as if everyone nevermind the body type at 175Ib they must be able to lift 158kg ( 350Ib)

He is an asshole, never listen to him.

i'm a skinnyfag and I consistently get stares in my gym deadlifting only 225 lbs

so yea... 350 lbs is not a beginner lift

350 as a beginner? lol no

I was actually agreeing with him that my 250 was kinda weak. I've got no problem admitting that.

As far as "pathetic"? I leave that to my career, appearance, getting my dick wet, etc.

Anyone who suggests 350 as a beginner lift is probably an ANONYMOOSE IS LEGUN!!! type who gets off on the idea that they might give someone a hernia over the internet.

I didn't mean that. A 2x bodyweight deadlift doesn't take long to achieve. However, no untrained person can do that. It's a milestone and after that you may congratulate yourself for not being totally useless anymore. Training gets a LOT harder from there...

Well yeah, sorry about that. It came up totally wrong. I was trying to say that that kid isn't really superhuman compared to you since your deadlift sucks at the moment.

According to that I was an intermediate lifter after 2months of starting strength. And that's being generous. Could have probably pulled 315 after 1.5 months or so.

YOU INSULT ME IN A DREAM, YOU BETTER WAKE UP AND APOLOGIZE

but seriously, its cool man. My point from the very beginning wasn't the fact the kid was a superhero. Well, maybe he is for not blowing out his spine with his for form. It was the fact I was weak!

315 is pretty impressive after 2 months. I am a little slower. ectomorph, concentrated on cycling and martial arts before. But I am starting to build finally...
>> Proteinfag
I shit a lot too. I still have it now I've ran out of my protein, so it's not the protein. I think it's the fact that I eat a lot.

Yeah, your deadlift could be in the immediate range, especially if you're a big guy.

How about your bench and squat? Military press? Pretty sure that's not gonna be intermediate after 2 months of SS
