hey /fit/

so I'm quite interested and motivated into losing fat and packing on some muscle. nothing excessive but enough so that i dont find myself getting depressed over the sight of myself.

ive noticed many of you on here using whey powder and protein shakes to help with exactly that.

So, my question is:

does /fit/ have a preference as far as brand of whey/protein powder goes, or are all created equal?

The vitamin shoppe has some good generic BodyTech whey stuff, you can try that.

But to be honest there is no need to be taking protien if you are trying to lose weight first. Focus on cardiovascular activities like running and biking to loss weight while maintaining a balanced diet. Once you have lost sufficient weight, then you should begin bulking up by lifting wieghts and taking protein supplements.
