so, i understand this. that's fine. what i'd like to know is:1g/1LB at my *ideal* weight? i see no reason to ingest protein for whatever fat im going to loose anyways...so i wanna be 190 though am currently ~230. i should thus have 190g, amirite?anyone know the reasoning here?
i want to be 200lb of muscles. i currently weight 120lb. should i take 200g of protein?
>>73506im sry br0, but if you're 120 as is, (unless your a teen who hasnt finished growing) you're not going to be able to make it to 200. you clearly dont have the genes for it.bump.also, troll'd.
teh bump?
it's 1g/lb of lean body mass. so if you're 230 @ ~30% bodyfat, that would be at least 160g of protein a day.at least.the more muscles you have, the easier it'll be for you to lose the fat.
good god, those numbers are way too high. it's 0.7-1.2g/kg, or up to 1.7g/kg for athletes.one gram per pound...not kilogram. Half that and you'd still have more than enough for your body to cover all it's needs.
