What was /fit/'s post-workout snack/meal today?Pic related.
tuna salad
>>284135Cottage cheese and some grapes.
Peanut butter on WHITE BREAD (fuck you)Also noodles.
salmon and celery and carrots
>>284172FUCK white bread nub, it's all about the fucking DELICIOUS WW bread yo
>>284181Well since I happen to eat wheat 99% of the time and I think it tastes like shit, no u.
I didn't work out today, but yesterday's post jogging food was a healthy version of a tuna salad sandwich. Two slices of low cal wheat bread (70 cals total)Six ounces of tuna (like 60 calories)Two teaspoons fat free Miracle Whip (20 cals give or take)Diced onions and celery and some relish (not even worth counting)Probably should have eaten more than a 160 calorie sandwich with no fat.
Chicken and quinoa
>>284191you think wheat tastes like shit? I guess I'm just used to it now.. I eat wheat bagels, pasta, rice, bread etc etcBut I guess if it tastes like shit to you and you do eat 99%... you deserve to spoil yourself with the white after a workout then ;p
>>284201>wheat riceYou know this doesn't even exist, right? I think you just mean brown rice. Rice is not wheat...it's rice. You have your pick of white or brown, which are identical in calories, brown just has the husks still on the rice so you get some extra fiber and B vitamins.
Scrambled eggs. Gonna start taking whey sometime soon.
>> I eat wheat bagelsI didn't even know those existed, but why not I suppose. I haven't had a bagel in years but I always loaded mine up with like an inch of cream cheese :/What do you put on yours?
First meal after a workout should never change. It should always be Dextrose + Whey. You don't want any fats or low-GI carbs for a post-workout meal. The second meal, the real meal, you can probably eat white bread and peanut butter or whatever shit you like.
>>284218Obvious post is obvious
>>284215How many eggs should you scramble and how much vegetable oil should a dieting person use?
Do 4, take the yolk out of two of them.Forget oil, pam the shit outta them.
>>284302Will do, thanks.
>>284135new /fit/ fag here, after a workout you take a small snack, but an hour later you eat a large meal amirite?
I always grab a banana (complex carbs, spikes insulin, and restores glycogen in muscles quickly) in addition to two scoops of whey with skim milk (extra carbs).Works great so far.
have a glass of orange juice, and a bottle of water.im cutting atm, so I dont need to stack up with protein after
Scoop of whey protein, and a toast and tomato sammich.
>>284191If you eat whole wheat 99% of the time, and only eat white bread after work outs, i think its time to start working out more, or you need to eat less bread, because 198 slices of bread a day is pretty DAMN NIGGER.
>>284402lol
>>284402What if he eats his white bread really fast and chews his whole wheat more slowly, like several minutes a slice? Thus more time is spent eating each slice of whole wheat. That throws off your little calculation, doesn't it, bitch? What then nigga? Huh? What the fuck then?
>>284235Apparently, not obvious enough, judging by most of the posts in this thread.
Protein (one scoop whey), grilled chicken wrap on whole wheat w. lettuce tomato, and low fat vinaigrette
>>284481is the awesomey/n
While we're on the topic of food, what is /fit/'s opinion of turkey burgers? Much less fattening and the same amount of protein as a normal burger.
>>284308Congrats, you're listening to an idiot.
Much less fattening and the same amount of protein as a normal burger.Much less fattening / same amount of proteinless fattening / same proteinThere that works ~
