I have one just slightly worse than that one in OP's picture, and I have to tell you, it sucks. I have reduced lung capacity and occasional pain, plus it has caused a scoliosis in my spine and it's messing up my lower back now. I'd be willing to have them break every one of my ribs to make it normal, but the doctors I spoke with wouldn't hear of it. Screw them. It's ugly, and I admit that I might want to be vain. Also it doesn't affect chest muscles beyond making you look funky as they develop and CPR is the same, the ribs still compress.
