Who gives a shit what you want to look like? I don't look down on Juggalo's, it's their life, they can do what they want with it.
I don't complain about the people spending two hours in the gym doing cycles of bicep curls, so why do people get so up in arms about large amounts of muscle mass?
Some people enjoy pushing their minds to the limit, some enjoy doing it to their bodies. Testing oneself is what drives us to become better in life. If you enjoy being stagnant, then that's your choice. Don't insult other people because you don't have the will to achieve something.
Also, the insecurity is brought upon by not wanting to create a self-image that is daunting to others. If you were secure in your body, you wouldn't care what other people perceived of you, so in-fact, you are the insecure, because you mold yourself to what is a publicly accepted image.
Also it's fucking amazing that people label those with significant muscle mass to be ignorant, when you need to have the ability to anatomize one's entire structure to achieve such a look. Complete understanding of nutrition, bodily muscle functions and make-up, and the will to drives oneself is not something that the majority of human beings on this planet have.
Does this knowledge cause them to look down upon us? No, the majority of bodybuilders I've met are incredibly upstanding, intelligent, articulate people that are happy within their own skin.
This is in comparison to the majority who not only shuns them, but who completely lack any self-confidence or lack of respect.
Whens the last time you saw a bodybuilder on a shitty Self-Help show bitching about his feelings? Oh, never, that's right.
