alright, fair enough...I googled both of those things. Fish pills, can I get them in stores or is it an online only type thing?

Also, would the machine in my pic be good for "HIIT"?
>> Anonymous

Young noob, I like your attitude towards learning. HIIT is High Intensity Interval Training. Fish pills are Omega 3 fish oil pills that you can get at pretty much any supermarket now.

Yes, and do a google search.

Here's some helpful websites, too:
www.exrx.net
www.t-nation.com
www.bodybuilding.com
www.crossfit.com
http://www.elitefts.com/articles/Current-Articles/default.asp

Also, keep checking up on 7chan's /fit/, they have an excellent sticky. I think they're at 78chan now. Actually, they're up, so head on over there to learn more.

What should you be looking for in a fish oil supplement? Are their any particular brands one should be looking into? I've heard some use good parts of the fish, the others use by-products or malnourished/small/sickly fish
>> Anonymous
>>155671

I use the Kirkland brand from Costco, it's cheap and good quality. I used to know like three off the top of my head, but it's been so long since I changed brands for fish oil that I forgot.

Fish Oil pills do nothing for weight loss, lol. They just contribute to heart health. You could always, you know, just eat seafood for your omega-3s and not swallow one of those gross pills that makes you taste fish scales everytime you burp.

Oh, OP. You'll grow taller. Fat kids are loaded with nutrients, all that shit you ate to get to 205 pounds is going to cause a massive growth in height, bone density and muscle mass in the next few years. Also, it's easy as fuck for fatties to become walking tanks.

If you just wanna lose weight, well, start casually walking to build up your endurance, then slowly keep increasing until you can start jogging (don't jog or run too fast at your weight or your knees are fucked). Stop eating so much shit food and smack your parents in the face for buying it.

At your age, you'll have a ridiculously easy time losing the weight. You could easily be at 130-140 within a few months, young bodies are resilient and have a good metabolism. It's only gonna be a problem if you keep making excuses and then end being 35 and 300 pounds.
>> Anonymous
this man speaks the truth fat kids normally grow taller wider and just plain more tank looking
my self included just make sure you keep your weight in check
here is what you do...run then run some more then when you stop run again run until you vomit then you can take a 5 min break before you run home
then when you get home pick up the heaviest thing that is smaller than you and lift it up and down a bunch of times you kill 2 birds with one stone
>> Anonymous
>>155696

>then when you get home pick up the heaviest thing that is smaller than you

I don't know why, but this made me lol uncontrollably for about a minute. Not that it wouldn't be effective, but for me that would just entail walking into my house and military pressing a granite statue of a leprechaun.

Yeah, fat.

>all that shit you ate to get to 205 pounds is going to cause a massive growth in height

What the fuck? Him being fat isn't going to magically make him grow taller than if he wasn't fat.
>> Anonymous
bullshit about the height thing. I went from nearly 200 to 130-135 lb when I was 14. I was only 5'4".

oh yeah, OP here again. What exactly should my diet be?

consult a dietician before you think all this dumb shit like fish pills and weightlifting will do anything. a dietician or skilled nutritionist will talk to you about your eating habits and your specific body type and needs. don't buy into umbrella-cover diets and exercise methods in general. everybody is different.

Good thing you are taking incentive to get fit at an early age. To be honest I discriminate heavily against ugly people, goths, and fatties.

And ofcourse black people. Turn your fat into muscle, the hardest part about bulking up for me was that I was too scrawny and had to gain alot of weight. You already got that down chubby fuckface

should I do this more than once day, or will that screw something up? I have a *LOT* of free time when i'm not lurking around /fit/, I'd like to do something productive with it
>> Anonymous
>>156758

whatever chubs, its true. how does fat show up? usually through eating, poor eating habits. start at the root of the problem. people usually just shit on the idea of a dietary consult because the truth hurts. easy ass shit like "jog a lot" is way more convenient for everyone involved, and has a massive chance of falling flat. if you begin to eat right, and can even muster that discipline at all, the exercise can follow as part of a balanced, healthy life. i'm speaking as a vegetarian who realizes i still eat poorly at times (even though some faggots would just say "go veg to lose weight"). and no im not overweight in the least. just addicted 2 french fries *___*
>> Anonymous
>>156933

i don't really have the money to pay a "dietary consultant" though, so I turn to the poor man's internets
>> Anonymous
>>157211
ok then, what are you eating, and how much? give me roughly your daily eating habits.

Also, What you do or don't do throughout the day. How do you travel, especially to and from school? Is your school within walking distance?
>> Anonymous
1. Eatin' habits:
Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: Pasta/sandwich
Dinner: Chicken/sandwich

I drink water with every meal, and an occasional coke zero or milk.

School's over, and it's not really in walking distance. Anything else you need to know?
>> Anonymous
>>157222
I asked for how much. As in, what kind of pasta or chicken you're having, and how big a serving it is. Given your weight, you will want to take a fast-paced stroll daily for about half an hour or more. Running might damage your knees, so don't take that risk. Make sure to get at least this in everyday for starters.
>> Anonymous
>>157222
What type of bread are in the sandwiches?
>> Anonymous
>>157233

It's the "Tuna Helper" Pasta, with tuna and milk and stuff...I only eat a bowl full, and i share the rest with my siblings. They're regularly
sized sandwiches, and I don't eat chips or anything with them.

>>157241

Wheat
>> Anonymous
>>157248
And the chicken?

Also, pay attention to the box's nutritional facts. Don't know much about this Tuna Helper, so I don't know how much is too much.

a banana for breakfast?. just.... one banana?
>> Anonymous
>>157283

Well, to be honest...I wake up around 10, so i don't need much to hold me over until lunch
>> Anonymous
>>157283
Yeah, Breakfast should actually be your largest meal of the day, to help jump start your metabolism.
>> Anonymous
oh, okay...what would be a good breakfast?
not an excellent cook or anything, but I can follow directions
>> Anonymous
>>157284
try fixing your sleep schedule just so you can wake earlier. Have a balanced breakfast everyday. break, cereal, fruits, milk. Meat if you want. This will be the start of your day, it'll give you the energy you need to last. Sleep is also important, and you should get at least 8 hours every night. Otherwise, your metabolism slows down.

The rest of your daily calories should be split up between lunch, dinner, and everything in between. 5-6 small meals a day, with Breakfast being the largest of them, proportionally. You're going to have to follow your new, healthier diet to the T. Follow the food pyramid. Do not snack on anything in between these meals, and whatever you do, do not eat anything right before you sleep. Avoid sodas, sugars, and junk food in general. after a bit, it's not so bad. You just need to be committed to it.

That'll take care of your general diet habits. What are your daily activities? Exercise is the next important thing.

Well, I use the machine in>>155571for like 15 minutes, doing the slow/fast/slow thingy,

and then i try to jumprope for like 15 minutes

I don't have any weights or anything yet, so i can't do those
>> Anonymous
>>157321
That thing looks like it has very little resistance to it. Wouldn't help much.

But do invest in weights. Then we'll get started.

OP here...I fail at jumproping. does it get any easier once you practice? T_T
>> Anonymous

no, you have to be born with the ability to jump rope. either you got it, or you don't.
