>>188710 You need to see a shrink. Look up your local hospital online and check for their facility/services directory, and find "Adult Psychiatry". Call them and set up an appointment.
When you go in, you just give them your medical card and typically some money for the copayment charge (depends what kind of health plan your parents have you on) but it's like $30 at the most, typically less.
You will fill out a clipboard with questions about your state of being. Just answer everything honestly, because I swear to Jesus that withholding anything from a shrink negates any potential benefit you might gain.
Sometimes if there are other people who need to see shrinks too all of you (maybe 4-5 folks) will have a little orientation together. It is totally no big deal, but you can opt out. Just talk to the person running it and tell them you'd prefer to skip that part. They will be cool with it.
When you see your shrink, you are in control of what you do. If you don't feel comfortable sitting, then stand. If you want more space between yourself and the psychiatrist, then ask for it. I started off sitting in the far corner of the couch with all the pillows between me and him like a barrier, sounds stupid but it put me at ease. Now everything is cool and I can sit anywhere.
If you are put on medication, especially SSRIs, you *must* take them *every day*. Don't skip. Don't take them on your 'bad days'. Always take them like clockwork no matter how good or bad you feel. Not trying to alarm you, but that's what keeps them beneficial. If you take it on a whenever basis they don't do anything significant.
Good luck OP, and ignore the fag trolls. You can beat this, I have and I know many others that have. It just takes a few steps to get started.
