Sup /fit/, I made this post once before so lets see if it strikes any interest again.

ITT Ask a running shoe guru about your shoes

A little about me, I have been in shoes for quite a while, selling, working for the companies themselves, right now I am working in a running specialty store while I finish school so I can go back to working for the companies themselves.

Any questions on fit, types of shoes, or just a blunt honest opinion on what i think about your shoes, ill be glad to answer

theres a lot of different types of the tigers, so I can't get too specific about it, but most of those are closer to running flats than they are an actual running shoe. They can be fine, depending on what surface you are running on. On grass / a track you should be ok, but I wouldn't do any pavement / sidewalk with em.

im currently in school for kinesiology, and am going to hopefully get a job in the development areas of one of the shoe companies. Its pretty damn useful for anyone who runs.

Hello Shoe guy, I remember your last thread. But now I have a new question.

Do you know of any comfortable shoes, that I would wear everyday, that has good grip? (Doesn't have to have amazing grip like a running shoe)

I've been wearing converses for a while, but then I got tired of the lack of grip. So I got some shoes from American Eagle called Fusion II. (Very light and comfy [better than the converses], and it has better grip). But I'm wondering if you have any suggestions.

What kind of things are you using the shoes for? Why do you need grip / what surfaces are you on?

yeah im taking some extra classes geared towards it. One of the courses im taking is actually a pre-podiatry course all about feet and such.

I really am into shoes and running, but I am not a kinky foot fetish guy. A lot of people think that. I would LOVE to have a foot fetish, but its unfortunate I don't. Go to work all day and look at what turns you on the most? Hell yea!

worst part about that though is 1/2 the women that come in are dripping goo or something. Plus you have to do em all, not just the attractive ones :(

Saucony Triumph 5

Picture 1

All opinions on these shoes are welcome.

I bought them for 120 dollars.

I tried on about 10 shoes in a specialty store, these are the ones I liked.

9.5 mens.

Saucony was some good stuff, but their line they just released this year was changed up quite a bit. The company itself got bought out by stride right / payless, and they changed a good amount of the materials in all of the shoes.

They are still pretty good shoes, but there isn't much feedback on the durability of them. Early things I have heard is they are burning through in 300-350 miles, which is 150-200 miles less than they should last.

I still think they are pretty comfy shoes, the 5's are a lot firmer than the 4's were, but if it fits you, go with it. If you like those, you might also want to try asics nimbus 9 or mizuno wave creation 9

I bookmarked those shoes on their websites, I'll look into them when I need a new pair.

Thank you!

Just random running and such.
I end up running around and stuff when I fool around with my friends.
I also lightly do some parkour.

So mostly concrete surfaces

running shoes aren't really very good for grip. Most shoes try to have as little sole touch the ground as possible to cut down on weight and friction.

For the actual running and everything, I would really suggest a real running shoe, a nice running shoe makes running a ton easier on your entire body.

For the parkour and the grip problems, I would actually go with a volleyball shoe. They are hard to find, but they have gum sole bottoms and supportive sides. I would think those would be one of the best things you can possibly do grip wise.
