Hey /fit/,
I work with a bunch of little Hispanic women who swear by all these lime based home remedies (lime and salt for nausea, lime and coffee for a headache). 90% of the time if they make me one of these things it will work fairly well.
However, now, they're telling my that I should put lime juice in my eye.
My left eye feels like there's something in it (an eyelash or something), but I can't see it or wash it out. The inner corner of my eye also feels slightly dry and sticky though this could just be from wiping at it so much.
They say that if I put the lime in my eye it will hurt like fuck of a few seconds but completely cure whatever is wrong with my eye. One of them says their mother has been doing this for 50 years with no ill effect.
Given their past success rate with these lime based remedies I'm tempted to try this.
What do you think?

I used to work in a fruit+veggie department in a grocery store with a hispanic girl. Until one day she was caught trying to steal a case of limes. She'd dumped the whole thing into her purse and tried to walk out the door with it at the end of her shift. They LOVE limes, will risk everything for them.

Don't use pure lime juice. Use equal amounts of rose water and lime juice.

Well, from my time as a anarchist i know that lemons can do ya good if you get a good doese of teargas or pepperspray, this is something i have tried myself. It helped. But i would not put pure lemonjuice in my face unless one of the above have occured.
