Consider walking lot and climbing stairs, preferably swimming if there's a pool near you since biking might be out of the question as well. make you meal 6 moderate and/or small meal so food digest faster in your body. Also, high protein is key (wheat, meats, dairy, nuts, etc), anything type of white bread, potatoes and chips could fill you up but has starch and that is the enemy in a good diet. PLENTY OF WATER! can't stress that one enough.
Well that's my two cents for the day, if you do follow this you'll probably slip up and eat something fatty stuff once in a while but you're only human.
