Hi /fit/

I'm trying to start some cardio, but I have a huge problem of my legs getting tired really fast... within the first few minutes. I'm not even jogging that fast, only about 5 mph. What's a good way to increase stamina in my legs?

Everyone seems to think squats are the best thing you could ever do, so do you think if I make a stamina building workout of 5 sets, 10-15 reps max each, that would build some stamina for me?

By jogging more. That's how you build stamina - do more of what ever your doing, then more, then more, always pushing yourself and tiring yourself out each time.

But I tire out so quickly. I'm pretty sure nothing's even being accomplished.

That's only because you've never done it. Just keep adding 10-30 seconds every time you jog, and meet those progressive increases each time. Doesn't matter if you start out at a 10 second or 10 minutes jog, if you continually force the body to do something it can't do, it'll LEARN to do it.

A - run until it hurts, then walk/jog until you are ok to run again; make sure you complete the distance that you set out to do

B - erg or bike in order to build endurance, then go back to running

Also drink 2 cups of water 20 minutes before you start.
