I build up earwax really fast and I'm having trouble hearing out of one of my ears. I can't afford to go to the doctor and get it syringed, is there anything I can do at home? I wanted to buy one of those Ear Clear things but they're 70 goddamn dollars.

Go to an asian curio shop. Ask for an ear pick. Pay two or three bucks, and don't punch out your eardrum.

dangerous shit is dangerous

also, it won't get the wax out of OPs ear as good as a syringing would. Weeaboo is fail.

It works well enough, and it's only dangerous if you go 'DERP DERP STAB AS FAR AS I CAN GO'.

And yes, I am a weeaboo, given the several defects given to me when I was born asian.

Lay on your side and put a few drops of mineral oil in one ear at a time and let it sit for a minute or two. Turn over onto a tissue to drain and repeat with other ear. Shit should be cleared right up. I can attest to this working.

you're asian, your earwax is different than american earwax, it's dry and flaky and easier to remove with a pick. Westerner's wax is a lot stickier.

Hey, asshole:

>>Ear picks are a commonly used item and preferred for ear wax removal in East Asia. The dry type of ear wax found in persons of Asian extraction is particularly amenable to this type of removal, more so than the wet type of ear wax found in people of Caucasian or African origin.

i've not studied earwax, but why the fuck would a person's ethnic background cause a difference in earwax, if you say anything other than diet I will do everything in my power to track you down and beat you to a bloody pulp for stupidity.

>>The difference in cerumen type has been tracked to a single base change (a single nucleotide polymorphism) in a gene known as "ATP-binding cassette C11 gene". In addition to affecting cerumen type, this mutation also reduces sweat production. The researchers conjecture that the reduction in sweat was beneficial to the ancestors of East Asians and Native Americans who are thought to have lived in cold climates.[4]

dipshit.

asians are not human

in the oldie time days people just put candles near their ears and the ear wax would pour out

syringe yourself, carefully?
>> Anonymous
man, if only you lived in canada you could just walk in to any clinic and ask for it and they'd do it and suck your cock too.

believe me, i've gotten it cleaned out many times

this only softens it, mine gets as big as a peanut shell and HAS to be removed via syringe

on the spot no waiting either

Go to your local natural whatever store, and try to find wax cones.

They're like big, hollow candles. You stick one in your ear, and burn the other end. Sucks the wax right out. It feels weird, but it works. They are like... 4 bucks max. And that is maaax max.

Are they supposed to use a syringe at the doctors? When I went, they used a WaterPik. It felt weird as hell and it was fucking gross. As they squirted the water into my ear, they had me hold a clear container for the water and wax to collect below my ear. That water was brown and chunky and really gross. Hard to believe how much wax fits in your ear.

I've always used hydrogen peroxide. I have the same kind of problem as OP and regularly get solid buildups that interfere with my hearing, and hydrogen peroxide literally eats through the wax and reduces it to tiny chunks and flakes. I always had one of those weird, hollow rubber-ball looking things with the spout on the end, which is used for sucking up warm water to squirt into your ear (pointed towards the ground, of course) AS GENTLY AS POSSIBLE into your ear, and it has to be gentle warm, hot water will not only burn the inside of your ear but make the wax hot and sticky again.
