Whole vs. Skim Milk Anonymous
So the obvious choice for losing weight would be skim milk, but I've heard of recent studies that show the fats/proteins in whole milk keep you full longer, and help block "bad" fats. I'm also very active in the gym, and trying to not just lose weight but pass a USMC PFT with a first class score within 4 months. Because of this, I can't afford to just lose weight, I've got to be in great shape by the time the weight's off.
I only have 8oz of whole milk a day, but do you mis/fit/s think I'd be better served with Skim? 2%?

Cutting = Skim
Bulking = Whole

If you are getting enough fats in your day then stick with fat free, if you benefit from some more than sure go with 2% or even whole. Either way one glass won't effect you much it's an 8g difference between FF and whole.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I have a glass a day, it can't be that big a deal.

This debate is kind of like Egg White Only vs. Whole Eggs. You are removing some good stuff while going skim, but it depends on your overall diet (are you getting healthy fats elsewhere), your opinion, and taste preference.

I eat 2-3 whole eggs (And 4-6 whites) a day, and that's typically the only other fat I get aside from the little bit in chicken breast, and 7% burger patties grilled on the Foreman. The only fat I get comes from whole foods (Eggs, Meat, Milk, and cheese when I have it). I've lost 53lbs over the past 5-6 months, drinking whole milk the entire way. Just thought I'd get another opinion or 3.
