You guys my knees hurt really bad from running and I can't run anymore. What do you intense runner do about knee/calf/shin pain? HELP!

p.s. This .gif is hilarious and you should watch it even though it's not related

take a contrast shower immediately after you run

should help somewhat

other than that running IS high impact and depending on where you run there isn't much you can do about that other than ice it, or do something just as good of a workout that is lower impact(SWIM YOUR DICK OFF OR USE MACHIENS)

All of this pain would most likely mean you are

a) In an old shoe, and the midsole is compressed and there is no more shock absorption

b) In the wrong stability of shoe

What kind of shoes are you running in? Make and model, and how long you've had them?

I had that, and it ended up at the point that i was unable to bend my knee's to walk and in constant pain. Injury lasted over a month so i had to take things slowly building it up again. I was running on concrete (well, sprinting). You can try running on grass, sand etc.. as another option.

you're running in bad form, get rid of your terrible shoes and get some puma h-streets, nike frees, or vibram fivefingers (if you're man enough) and learn chi running or POSE method running

problem solved
