6' 210 pounds here, I'm a fatty.

My plan is to lose 30 pounds over 3-4 months with lower calorie intake, roughly 1500-1700 and jump rope. (Running is not an option where I live, unfortunately)

Question: Does this sound fair? Is it possible if I stay motivated? How often should I work out?

Any suggestions are greatly welcome.

running is a waste unless you compete. get on a stationary bike or elliptical for cardio, much easier on your joints and shit.

you're fat because you are lazy and you're lazy because you're selfish. you can't just flip a switch and change it.
you may want to so you can get something you want (because you're selfish) and not look hideous at the beach and get laid, but it wont happen. you wont be able to overcome the desire for short term happiness that a bucket of chikunz brings you to get what you desire for the long term. i'd be surprised if you came back in 4 months and lost 3 pounds

It's not that I was planning on restricting my calories that much it was more of that sounded like a decent number from what I've read.
