Hey, /fit/. this might be long, so no tl;dr-ing. i've already warned you.

i've scoped out a work out routine for myself, and i want to know how much a 5'1", 128 lb female can lose in 3 1/2 months with this routine.

so, on monday, i go to the gym and run for maybe 15 min, jogging/walking to cool down every few minutes when i get out of breath and i'm hoping to build up to being able to run faster.
then i do the elliptical for maybe 15 min. after that i do leg weights for inner and outer thighs. i jog again for 15 min for some extra cardio, since I know i'm not doing enough. then i do maybe 20-30 minutes of stationary bike.
i do this on mondays, wednesdays and thursdays. the days inbetween, including every other weekend, i swim 100 laps and do weight training.

i try to eat right, and incorporate vegetables and fruits in my diet, but sometimes i slip up. i've just started this routine.

Am i doing it right? if not, can anyone give me some tips?

Sounds decent. Make sure to keep up the intensity.

Diet is very important, but don't starve yourself. Cut things out like soda, fast food, large amounts of alcohol, food before sleep and you'll make progress.

And don't forget your squats.

you are so short

Get in the habit of recording your calorie intake on http: //fitday.com just to make sure your eating habits are what you think they are. Otherwise, consistent cardio and weight lifting will have losing pounds. If you're doing everything right, expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week (15-30 pounds over the summer).

Also, look up HIIT. I dunno how in shape you are, but it might be of more use than just going slowly for long periods of time on a treadmill/elliptical/bike

Not OP, but how long before bed is it acceptable to eat?

Around 2 hours. Obviously you can eat stuff like salads or fruits before bed and it won't be bad but avoid eating foods with high carbohydrates or sugars before bed. Protein before bed isn't bad either, especially if you're trying to build muscle.

fuck, i wish i could do 100 laps in the pool, hell if you diet correctly (i.e not starving!) then you'll be cut in no time.

I think short girls are actually pretty cute, considering they are in proportion (meaning the body of a normal woman, tits, ass, just scaled down a bit)

op here. A couple of summers ago I did 100 laps a day and lost like 15 lbs without even trying. I've hears mixed opinions on swimming and how it doesnt do anything, but I've seen results so I thought whatever

Idiot. Naturally occurring sugars in fruits don't screw your body or weight like processed sugars do. However you should eat fruits that are rich in colors like oranges, purple/black grapes, etc etc. Bananas are awesome, but as far as fruit go lack a lot of nutritional value. I still eat one a day, but other more deeply colored fruit is far better.

lol op i'm genuinely jealous, i'm winded more when i do a few minutes of swimming over doing hours of lifting :P
