quick, /fit/i'm trying to lose fat/get toned.should i take a whey protein/skim milk shake afterjogging 30 minutes in the late morning/afternoon, or after i get out of work, moving around lifting heavy boxes for 8 hours or more?my work shift is 4pm - midnight or later, so the problem i see is i usually sleep soon after. that'd be right after i take the protein.or should i not take the shake at all?
Supposedly whey protein is most effective ~30 minutes after an anaerobic workout, so after the boxes sounds like the right time. You should probably have one in the middle of your 8-hour workday as well.
but wouldn't it be a problem that i'm going to sleep right after i take the protein shake after work? it'd basically be drinking it then going straight to sleep.
