You could use circuit training (using a series of weight training exercises back to back until you complete the series and then repeating it after 1-3 minutes) or combine your unweighted cardio efforts with weighted ones like crossfit sometimes does. You could do sub maximal effort deadlifts, squats, or snatches then immediately go run 400 meters or drag a sled come back and knock out 30 crunches and repeat the process. Or you could do HIIT or jogging one day and then do circuit training or this combination shit another day. Running doesn't use anything but your legs and core and it doesn't tax the muscles very much unless you sprint or run very fast, so the answer is yes OP, you should keep lifting weights.
