The amount of calories to consume depends on your weight and your normal calorie consumption, since you provided us with nothing but that you're an "overweight asshole".
If you're insecure about working in a gym you could try talking walks around your neighborhood during evenings and getting up to jogging. Run up and down stairs until you can't move. Everyday, and don't give yourself the shit excuse of "man I'm too tired today". Either suck it up or drink a cup of coffee and get to it. Weight loss is really just about will power and if you don't have any will to lose weight then you don't deserve to.
