Instant is the same thing, the oats are just blanched. The only reason to avoid instant oatmeal is because it's generally loaded with sugar, but Quaker has alternatives out now that only have 1g of sugar per packet.
Reason's why it's healthy for you:
Slow releasing, complex carbs.
Fiber
B vitamins
Low in calories
Uh, well, that's basically it. It has fiber and essential vitamins and keeps you full for a long time without being loaded with fats and sugar.
