delts Anonymous
i have recently started working out.

i do lateral raise for lateral delts and lying down rear lateral raise for posterior deltoids (which i think are also hit by pullups)

i do military press and bench press. however, the latter only hits the anteriors and the former hits mostly the anteriors. from what i am aware, lateral raises tone rather than pump the side and rear delts, while upright rows are known for causing injury and at the moment i can't risk that.

so how do i build deltoids?

i suspect that you're not doing your military press right.

i JUST started working out, so i wouldn't know about that. but are you saying that military press does built side delts, then?

correct me if i am wrong but the side delts are supposed to be the largest of the heads no? i thought military press primarily targets front delts

The ones around your knees, right?
>> OP
okay guys thanks a lot...that was my question...will military press be enough or is there something else i need to be doing. i haven't been working out long enough to see results regardless.

and it seems that the answer is that the military press will build side as well as front delts. so thanks a lot.

(and posterior delts?)
