So /fit/ its been a while scince i posted here last.
I am a 18 y/o white male 182 cm tall around about 60kg-62kgs heavy. I walk for about 35 mins a day to uni and run for 30 min a day on the treadmil. I am also trying to get cycling, but as I have never done it befor in my life I am pretty much dying ( yesterday went for a 1 hour ride at a fucking snails pace, the muscle on the sides of my thighs get fucking sore). I also eat well, not like a fat pig

So what i come here to know is what would be better for me to do to improve my running speed (I run at about 12.5km/k-13km/h) should I keep running for 30 min a day at that pace or should I run for a shorter time (10-15mins) at a faster pace (around 16km/h).
Keep in mind i dont want to get fat if I stop running 30 min a day. I probly will only cycle on weekends as I dont realy have that much time so keep that in mind.

Thanks /fit/

Enjoy being fat. I am well built and fit. The last thing i want is to build alot more muscle, sure some on my thighs from cycling, but i dont want to build alot of muscle that will just turn to fat when i get old.

Yes i know "ur nt gunna look liek anold ovar nite" but putting on muscle (not fat) to get to a weight over yours is stupid. From where I am putting on 5kg, MAYBE 10kgs of muscle is probly ok but 15-20 is not. I work out for my health and having a shitload of muscle isn't functional in todays socicety

well if you exercise when you get old that wont happen?

also who cares when your 70 what you look like you're freaking 70

muscle only gets 'replaced' with fat when you stop exercising. which, if you stop exercising, you deserve.

Its not when you get 70. To maintain that amout of muscle even in your mid 30s is s schlep. My father was a competitive long distance runner and he still excersises but has gotten fatter and flabyer but you dont have the same amount of free time in your 30s, 40s, 50s ect that you do when you're younger.

But this is neither here nor there. Can sombody help me out with this question?

ITT: Dumb Fucks

Muscle NEVER EVER EVER gets replaced with fat. Muscle will shrink and disappear if not worked, but it never turns into fat! There isn't some magical genie living in your body that transmute a protein-based chain into a fatty acid deposit! What happens is you keep up your weight lifting diet, despite not lifting weights any more. Gee willickers! My 2700 calories a day suddenly aren't building muscle! Wonder where it's going to go?
