Hi /fit/

I'm a fat fuck. I am 193cm (6' 4'') tall, and I weigh 125 kg (275 pounds). And it's not muscles!

Something needs to be done, and I am on the job. Jogging, weight lifting etc. I love it.

Anyway, the question is: Is hard core weight loss and muscle building compatible? I'm a vegetarian, and I am currently eating like 1000 kcal pr day through some crazy milk shake foamy diet, and salad for lunch.

Or is this diet impossible to build muscle with?

Naan bread highly related. Man that's good shit.

Don't count on losing weight while building muscle at any reasonable speed.

This diet is fucking up your metabolism. You need to eat more to lose fat faster. You will not build any muscle with that diet.

Look man, it's impossible to lose wight and build muscle at the same time, your body is built to just do one or the other, it's impossible. If you're really serious, read this book.. honestly I'm tired of explaining shit to people on this board, if they did a little research they could help themselves but I also know it's hard when you don't know where to start, this book should help though. Good luck.

You must not have read the book. He mentions some people are able to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.

OP here. Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.

I've downloaded that book, and I'm gonna check it out for sure. I also just glanced at it, and I can see he says that for those who wish maximum weight loss, he recommends cardio, and lots of it.. like every day. I can do that. It's time to DO THIS THING!

However, just as a sidenote, weight loss is by far more important to me than being buff. What do you think?

Mesomorphs... they are the fucking exception to the rule regarding EVERYTHING so nice try.

But it's still in the book. The OP could be a mesomorph in disguise. Get it? mesoMORPH.

All body types end in 'morph', and he wouldn't be a huge fatass if he was.

You just aren't any fun.

But my point was that it wasn't entirely impossible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time.

Dude, he proved you wrong. Get over it. That's coming close to the "No True Scotsman" fallacy.
