Ok /fit/ I am steadily on my way losing weight.
I want to start a thread so people can pat themselves on the back.

you've been working hard, you may not be where you want to be, but, HEY you're on your way, and I think you're doing a good job. So let's post where we started, how far we've come and what our goals are. . . . then pat yourself on the back.

I'll start off:
September 2007 - Out of shape, no physical activity, weight- 330lbs.

March 2008 - Run 2.5 miles a day, lift weights 5 times a week, down to 283lbs with muscle, and still going strong.

Goal - To get to 240lbs-ish, with a toned body.

November 2006 - Terribly obese at 6'0 and 310 pounds. I had dropped out of school and moved about an hour away from everybody I knew. Sounds pretty bad, it really wasn't. I used this time to read and study up, and most of all... lose weight. I remember I couldn't fit into a size 44 pants, meaning I was pretty much at size 46.

That was terrible, I went for a walk that day. I started very light exercise and I quit fast food and soda.

August 2007 - I've lost 40 since that day, which is pretty good considering my work out literally consisted of 50 crunches and 20 squats every couple days (aka, nothing.). I went to a wedding and got the "Oh you look great!" comments. ;-D. Oh, I also moved out of state.

From August to the beginning of December I lost maybe another 10 pounds; I really lost focus and it was just bad. At 260 I changed shit up and got seriously into my exercise (bodyweight stuff), and started to count calories. From Christmas to now I've lost 25 pounds. I'm at about 235. I'm doing very well for myself, and I expect to keep losing weight until ~September, where I hope to be around 170.

Pats all around.

Nice weight loss man.

I am a skinnymcfatterson who doesn't care too too much about his skinny fat but would like to put on a bit more muscle. I deadlifted 235lbs x 1, 225 x1, 215 x3 in a set waited 4 mins, did 205 x5 waited 4 mins, then did TEN fucking sets of 185 x 5 with 60-90 secs inbetween them. I am like falling foward when I walk but damn it felt empowering as hell (I weigh 145 but I am on my way to getting my DL up to the 300 range :P). This was my first weight lifting workout in ages. Oh yeah I am up to 18 chinups, woot :D. My benchpress is like six pounds, so I guess my natural talent is pulling and not pushing.

Btw, I am totally going to make one of those patting machines.

2005 - Fell ill with glandular fever. Got lazy, gave up on everything.

Early 2007 - Finally had the energy to do anything remotely physical without dying.
Started up again with cycling and body weight exercises. Weighed about 58kg at this time.

Mid 2007 - Started really researching how to eat properly and how to look after my body. Really started to looking into body weight exercises. Started to gain a noticeable amount of muscle instead of looking like a twig.

Now - Capeable of thrashing my body on my bike without tearing my throat out in the process. Got my 8km bike ride on hilly roads down to 15 minutes, compared to 2~hours from one month ago. Am now at the point where working out only hurts from pushing my boundaries instead of hurting from getting back into the rythm of things. Got my weight up to 75kg @ 6"2. Am also incredibly happy with how I look now. Pic related. I am 19 if that makes any difference or before I get underage flamed.
