Well, first of all if you don't want to gain muscle mass, don't eat a lot of carbs or protein. Do high reps, low weight. I don't know why you'd want to not gain muscle mass, as in the case that these people who beat you up half the time are bigger than you, you're still not going to have much chance of holding your own against them very well.
Secondly, I think you need to work on your social skills, if you're flipping out every time someone looks at you funny.
