/fit/ a few articles iv read about HIIT training say that because its such a high intensity workout you should only do it 2-3 times a week, is this true? will it cause some sort of damage or is this just shenanigans?

Well, yeah, because it is higher intensity, it can hurt your joints.

Same thing with powerlifting, I can only do 4 days a week, any more and I'd get fucked up.
