actually i think I did hit some minor plateaus somewhere around month 3 when I was just cycling, but ever since then I've known to just switch it up, from HIIT/tataba sprinting to stationary bike, elliptical, jogging, rowing and just recently ive been swimming like a madman
then when I thought I hit a plateau around month 5 I started a 5 day split which really made all the difference because I started burning fat like crazy then
if I didn't see as much progress as i wanted over a period of a week or two i'd make sure to switch whatever i was doing
