You want to get in shape, that's fantastic. But one thing you need to remember; do not work out for anybody but yourself, you have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself.
Start eating breakfast, but don't go and overload yourself with a lot since you don't eat breakfast regularly. Low fat/non fat yogurt and fruit is good and light but tie it together with some substance like toast. Gradually get your body used to eating regularly first before trying to cram a lot of protein in your body.
Walks are wonderful for clearing your head but at 190 you will need some more intense cardio. take up bike riding or check out your local rec center (I'm sure your town has one) and use some of the machines there. Get your heart rate up to 170+ and keep it there.

PS: Oh, switch to diet/"zero" soda and increase your water intake.
