soreness, I know DOMS is what you get for the first initial workout of those muscles

like squats kills your glutes, bench/incline kills your chest, and so on

but after that is it supposed to be nearly as bad?

I thought It was gonna be just as bad as the first week or so but I'm on week 3 of stronglifts 5x5 and don't feel like I'm really all that sore, I mean I am but I can walk up and down steps fine the day after squatting

and its not like I'm not lifting my max or going deep enough, I'm lifting hard i just dunno why I'm not crazy sore, is this normal?

You're better conditioned now to handle squats 3 days a week.

There is a difference between regular sore and "DOMS" sore, regular sore = not so bad, DOMS sore = so bad for some people it runs them away for weight lifting forever since they think every workout will result like that

Srsly, lifting shit and being sore isnt bad at all. The soreness you will feel will be so minimal it'll just remind you of how you busted your ass

Christ, i'd kill to be able to have DOMS, let alone any soreness what so ever.

Train like an OLY lifter, squat over 3x per week, and forget what soreness ever felt like.

DOMS is the result of micro-tears in muscle tissue, largely brought about by eccentric movements in exercise.

You'll get used to it if you have working balls.
