sup /fit/

lately I've been experiencing an unusual heartbeat. Like, every once in awhile it will feel like I get one or two consecutive beats that pump harder than normal. I didn't work out very much before now, but lately I've been doing more work on my elliptical. I don't take any medication other than aspirin for a hangover every once in awhile. I'm also not fat, I weigh about 160lbs, height approximately 6' and 22 years old.

Am I dying? inb4 an hero followed by doit faggot

No, you're not dying. Though it sounds like something that may cause a problem in the long term. See a doctor.

It's called palpitations. Usually there is nothing the matter and people live their whole lives with them. Unless it's an arrhythmia.

it just started recently, so I've been shitting brix. Is there anything non-doctorb related that I can do to make it go away?

They're just palpitations. They mean nothing. A lot of people have them, including me. They will normally decrease with increased long-term activity. Your doctor will most likely tell you the same thing.
Quit worrying, you're fine.

I've had the same problem for a year and a half now. I'm 6'2", 150lbs, 26 years old and I've felt the same way (the dying bullshit).

I've taken a bunch of tests, including an ultrasound, and nothing has appeared to be wrong. I've been prescribed some meds that keep my heart rate low and I take them regularly. I rarely experience those palpitations now.

See a doctor/cardiologist. Don't worry. Keep in mind that considering your age, the chances of it being something serious are very low.
