Yeah, I figured as much. I'm thinking in time I will be cleared to handle jogging, maybe up to 5 MPH, but right now my knee is still pretty much healing. Time doesn't seem to be THAT big of an issue, because if I cover about 3 miles at the rate I was recommended, it will still only take an hour. Plus, my actual conditioning has slipped so much that trying to jump right into jogging would probably just be too tiring for me at this point in time (when I first started PT, we found out my leg muscles actually started to atrophy from being inactive for so long).
The metabolism thing is pretty much unavoidable, though. Best I can do is tailor my diet to be effective at keeping my metabolism up in addition to walking. Thanks.
