I run 45 minutes a day, and am beginning to get ankle pains.

How many days should I wait before running again, and if I run on sore ankles, will it become worse?

Pic unrelated but delicious.

Wait till it feels better. Two, maybe 3 days. If you keep going and let it get worse, you could be out of commission for much longer. Let yourself rest and heal and when you go back to the gym you'll feel fantastic.

Make sure you're running with good technique. Also, make sure you're wearing good shoes. If you've run more than 300 miles in them, time for some new ones. Make sure whatever you're wearing is the right kind of shoe for your foot and stride. If you're not sure, go to a store that specializes in running shoes.

um..doctor. the feet are complicated parts. if you're flat footed, you're facing problems with alignment that can lead to unnecesary wear and tear, cartiledge damage, achiles tendonitis.

give it a week. if it still hurts then go to the doctors. this shit is no joke dude. i've had all sorts of problems from "walking things off" and now i'm sorry i did.

Yeah if you flat footed, it's pretty bad. My friend 's podiatrist gave him like foot pad things to help provide an arch to his feet, and he's still suffering when he runs.

I too, am relatively flat footed (no arch) but I can run like over an hour no problem.

Run on the balls of your feet. Supposedly I'm flat footed but I have yet to get ankle pains.
