Sup /fit/, I weigh roughly 200 lbs, and am about 6'2. 3 weeks ago, I was 175. I have uncontrollable urges to lose weight, so I starve myself for days on end. I also have uncontrollable to binge eat, so I eat in massive quantities for days on end.

I need to get in control. I'd like to reach a healthy weight. Not one that's too high, not one that's too low. I don't know how I can do this. Any ideas?

next time you have huge urge to starve yourself, just dont do it. seriously, I was doing this and my weight just got higher and higher. Once the starving stops, the binge eating usually does too.

Balls up and realize what you already know, although it may be hard, you need to eat a balanced diet and exercise. eat when your hungry, start running or something, anything.

How long did it take for you to get healthy? I seem to have difficulty looking at long-term effects of anything. How did you open your mind to make the long term effects seem more important?

about a month. really fast once you get into a healthy eating routine. dont even think about starving myself anymore, if I overeat, I wait, then do some exercise instead. If you can motivate yourself not to eat you can motivate yourself to go for a run. first few times I got embarresed about running, got over that pretty fast too. just set yourself a habit, you'll be fine.

I Didn't bother thinking about the long term effects. just took it day by day and now its routine

having protein regularly can stabilize cravings. get a little chicken or whatever in there every few hours, begin tiny. you'll be fine then.
