ITT: we list the supplements/mixes/whatever we take daily. I'll go first

1) 1000mg L-Lysine: Really helps with immune system function. If any of you get cold sores, if you take 1000mg of lysine a day, it prevents them from forming almost 100% of the time. Plus, I get fewer colds, etc.
2) GNC whey protein (2 servings): I take this after lifting, because i'm not a big eater and I don't get enough protein as it is.
3) Centrum one-a-day pill: same as above, but for other vitamins/cofactors
4) 320mg Saw Palmetto: my family has a history of prostate cancer :(

7.5g creatine monohydrate
1000mg cissus quadrangularis 2x/day
1000mg CLA 3x/day

FishOil
And once in I while I'l go on Mythal Ripped Hardcore but I'm pretty sure it doesn't do anything.

1)Half a tbs of Kre-Alkalyn Lemon Drop Liquid ph balanced creatine as soon as I wake up
2)2000mg of L-Arginine following step 1)
3)2 capsules of Hydroxycut Hardcore 30 minutes before I get to the gym
4)2000mg of L-Arginine at the beginning of my workout
5)2000mg of L-Arginine halfway through my workout
6)A serving of Whey Iso Burst with water, 39grams of protein.

I just started working out again, never was this heavily supplemented before.
Since my purchase I have been told that L-Arginine is basically useless, overall I am feeling more energetic.

Went to GNC today and the guy was trying to sell me some combo of L-Lysine, L-Valine and something else.... It was called BDPA or something... Guy insisted that it was great in order to keep your muscle if you do intense cardio.

Always:
Optimum Nutrition 100% whey
Cheapass Costco multivitamin

Currently I'm bulking with:
X-factor
Activate Xtreme
Lean Xtreme

That'll end in a few weeks then I'll hit the pool till it's too cold with:
Purple Wraath
Generic Fish Oil
Adrenalean

and then the main event, around the time of the new year I'm gonna do my hardest bulking ever, and I'm gonna try out the IForce stuff that's getting hyped to holy hell right now:
Reversitol
Max Out
And their currently unnamed rumored product that's supposed to round out those other 2 (if it's out by then)
And in all likelihood IntrAbolic for during the workouts

And then it'll be time to cut for spring

>>348179
there's your problem, you listened to the guy at gnc. they will say anything to sell you something, and they can get away with it too since they dont have to back up their claims. In the future, do research on products before entering the store and disregard everything they say. Better yet, order off the internet and save and assload on bulk powders/caps. Go ahead and finish up the animal pump, the caffeine, creatine and assorted crap will help with your workouts. But its totally overpriced and not worth buying again

get off your high horses. supplementing does not mean neglecting basic nutrition and training methods. I take whey and oats pre and post workout but still stack cissuc, creatine, and beta alanine.

Funny, my Orthopedic doctor disagrees with you. Seeing as how he's the one with the M.D. and you're a dude on 4chan, I think I know which one to believe.

You don't need supplements/drugs to live a healthy and productive life...As hard as it may be to believe there used to be a time when supplements weren't around.

And having a degree doesn't make someone infallible.

>>348307
Did I ever say you needed supplements to live a healthy life?

No I didn't, so I don't know why you're throwing that against me.

I eat a very clean, well-planned diet and I train hard on a consistent basis. I supplement that with glucosamine/chondroitin, fish oil and whey protein to help push my performance as far as it can go.

My orthopedic doctor gave me his opinion that the glucosamine/chondroitin has benefits, so I took his advice.
Is he infallible? No.
Could he be wrong? Sure.
Is he a fuck-ton more credible than some random person on an internet imageboard? Yes.

As for the fish oil and whey powder (taken with dextrose after a workout) there are NUMEROUS credible scientific studies that show benefits, thus i use it to SUPPLEMENT my already sound diet and training plan.

Saying you need supplements to succeed is idiotic. However, saying that all of them do nothing and they are all wastes of money is equally, if not more so idiotic.

Wrong. You think the past is some magical period in time where everyone did things the "natural" way? Ancient Greek wrestlers were eating 15 pounds of lamb a day for the extra protein. The track and field athletes were taking psychoactive plants to increase awareness, reaction speed, and pain tolerance. So does that sound like a healthy diet, or does it seem awful similar to what we do today? Humans for as long as history's been recorded have always taken things to increase their athletic performance. Hell, even in the not so distant past when steroids were first created, athletes were doing anything to get their hands on them. The juice wasn't a big deal in the 1950s, 60, and 70s, not because athletes weren't taking them, its because no one was testing for them. So my point is this: you need to shut your stupid face.
