hey /fit/

after years of weight training, i've started to get stretchmarks on my arms. any advice anyone can give me on removing/preventing them? would especially appreciate answers from people who can reccommend something that's worked for them.

google emu oil. it's miraculous. it wont erase them completely but reduce them significantly. also great for pain, things that need healing (cuts and whatnot), acne scars, moisturizing, and pretty much anything else you can think of. just have to make sure you buy it from someplace reputable. and it's expensive.

Does that emu oil really work? I've been looking into treatment for my stretchmarks as well, because they are all over my body ;_;

Also, I have lost a significant amount of weight lately and plan on continuing at the same rate. Should I start using treatment for my stretch marks now, or should I wait until I reach my target weight?

Also I hear emus have to be killed to make emu oil

i don't know about you, but it's been working for my old stretch marks that i got just from growth spurts. i bet it'd be a lot better for new ones. i've also used it on injuries and stuff and it's been great.

it's an animal by-product. meaning the emus are killed anyway for their meat and skin and they collect the fat pouches or whatever in the process. it's actually pretty gross, because it's just purified emu fat. it's supposed to have a similar makeup to human sebum.

i forgot to say, you should even be preventing stretch marks. not just waiting for them to form. i've never used it myself, but pregnant ladies often put cocoa butter on their bellies to prevent stretch marks. it's super cheap and smells like chocolate.
