I'm sure this thread has been made before, but I'm going to make it again. What do you listen to when you work out? I need some more music for my iPod, especially for runnan. I like stuff that gets your adrenaline going, like Godsmack - The Enemy or Slipknot - Pulse of the Maggots. Good rhythm to run to, gets you juiced, etc.I'm getting serious about getting in good shape before January when I go back to school, and quite honestly the ~30 songs that I have that are decent for working out aren't going to cut it.Help me out, /fit/izens!

I think I run too fast, my chest starts hurting after ~5 minutes.
it doesnt matter what i listen to when i run because i often just forget about the music and focus on running. sometimes i even take my headphones off when i really need to push myself because it can be distracting.i<3 music though just not really when running
hey,I find techno really good find something with a great solid beat and running becomes a rythm with the music. If you don't like techno at all, hardcore music I find really good I know a few bands, I'll just. Mention some mainstream bands likeKillswitch engageParkway driveI killed the prom queenCalibanbury your deadTerrorLook them up on myspace
>>339041lance armstrong a fag? he would shit on your whole family and fuck your grandmothers corpse
For weightlifting/boxing, usually heavy, fast stuff like Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, etc.For running usually softer or older stuff like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, classical, Sinatra, Eagles, Marley, etc.
Since when do Matt "No Shirt" McConahague (however you spell his last name) and Lance "greatest cyclist ever" Armstrong run together?
>>339043that's your heart saying "Hello, i'm still here"this means you don't run often. or ever.
>>339043Stop being a pussy and keep running, you'll get over it
>>339096They are good friends in real life.
Red Hot Chili Peppers' older, funkier stuff.
i usually require a heavy drum/bass rhythmas i lay dying is a pretty good example. As long as the beat is consistent i'll dig
depends on the workout. For longer runs (>30 mins) I have continuous mixes, some from the Nike+ collection. The LCD Soundsystem one is my favorite by far. I swear, try it and you will never run to anything else. Mostly upbeat and steady but not necessarily intense music. Changes rhythm for those second and third winds further down, even includes a 5 minute cooldown at the end. Sometimes I'll want to keep going tho and I'll pile on some hip-hop, once again a good, steady pumping beat but not violent. For weights I dig into the metal, Pantera, Slayer, Metallica mostly. Gets my explosiveness going from the get go and makes me forget about the burn. Lately though I've been ditching it because I have no pockets and lifting with an iPod dangling around is just unpractical.
I listen to stuff like The Prodigy, Static-X, and Daft Punk.>>339040Also this.

>>339190/mu/ are a bunch of fat retards who will only argue that everyone else in the thread is wrong about good music to run to.

FLIRT WITH THE HOODRATS THEN POP BOTTLES
Yeah I don't listen to anything when lifting as I don't want the cable in the way. Also if someone's in trouble in the freeweight room I want to be able to hear them. For cardio shit I tend to listen to metalcore which I don't listen to normally.. Such as As I lay dying and Unearth, All that Remains, Soilwork shit like that. Tis gut.
nothing like 'i ma kill you, yo mama, yo mama's boyfrind's dog, and burn your fav bbq joint while make yo bitch choke on my dick' like 2pac or immortal technique for running.I started doing HIIT and I sure do miss my rage rap song now that only thing I can listen to is the sound of watch yapping that it's time to burst out my balls to the max.
