Cheat Days Anonymous
How do you cheat, if you do at all? I know I couldn't stick to my <2000 cals/day w/160 g protein if I didn't cheat once a week.

I "cheat" pretty often, but when I do, it's not by very much, so I'll still be in my acceptable calories range, save for some social situations.

Then again, I'm not trying to lose weight, just maintain.

i dont desire candy or fatty shit for cheating as it makes me feel like puking or shitting my pants after eating it. there are foods i stay away from now cuz they are not even worth eating. i eat what I crave for. I dont crave for junk

eat more fiber for starters. whole grain, oatmeal (throw fruit in it or jelly, and make it with milk), cereal, dried fruit. chocolate and frosted cereals are ok in moderation too

Cheat Days are once every week. Preferably the same day each week.

The logic is that your body flushes out the junk food because it is so used to healthy food. I don't know if it works, but I do know people who incorporate it into their diets as athletes.

Having "cheat meals" anytime you feel like it, however, ruins the whole effect. So you'll need to plan it out, especially if you know in advance you'll be eating with your family in the future or something.

Note: a binge is still a binge.

Personally, I find a lot of the diets here ridiculous. 160g of protein? You're rotting your fucking kidney's man. And a lot of food suggested here will eat all your money if you've got rent and food bills and other expenses to worry about it. Plus, it really isn't suited to living with other people who aren't health nuts and sharing the food bill and kitchen.

Anyways, you're all faggots. Cheat days exist because you need to indulge, in moderation. Which is their point.

Where I live, it costs 20$ for 6 chicken breasts, and a pound of lean ground beef is 9$. As well, we don't live near any fast food places so we cook on our own--however, they don't really appreciate "healthy alternatives". Which means I'd have to force them cover more of the food bill for themselves, and buy a separate amount of food for myself. Which isn't practical with these kind of prices.

I don't have set cheat days. Instead, I allot myself so many cheat days in a certain time period (5 days per month) and then just let them come and go.

You should allow yourself these cheat days based on the occasion. Such as a date, or a gathering with a large group of people. Or else when you are out with people it gets akward. Because these occasions rarely come at a set time interval, neither should your cheat days.

I schedule cheating on sundays, and every 2 months, I take a whole week off. that week, i usually end up being weirdly sensible. the typical sunday, i go for popcorn, big sugar bomb drink and a movie with the gf. dessert after dinner, and whatnot. Maybe the diet kicker for me is I just love my morning oatmeal so much that i eat it on cheat day and week and every day anyways, and it usually keeps me more or less under control for the day. I stopped keeping track of calories, but the last cheat day i counted, i was only over about 500-1000 calories for the whole day, and the cheat week was even less per day, at about 300-500 over per day. I love to cheat. it keeps my head on right, and focused. I actually look forward to resuming the routine.
