Hello /fit/
I'm about to start a paramedics course in a few months. Wanting to get a head start, I'd like to read a few of the textbooks available for the training. Are there any available for download? Please link me, if you know of any.

Thanks.

You can't be a paramedic without first being an emt-b. If by training you mean physical training, you really don't need any. Sadly there's tons of fat-ass medics out there. As far as the actual books for the profession, it depends on whatever fucking textbook your particular course uses. Mosby's probably.

OH GOD! fucking EMTs... please OP, become an actual paramedic, not an EMT... one nearly killed a buddy of mine by telling him that he didn't need to go to the hospital even though he displayed every common symptom of a ruptured spleen (he went at my behest).

another used ye merry old belt lift to pick up a guy with a possible thoracic fracture

and yet another almost fucked up a guy with a supercondylar fracture by adjusting a splint while it was against the arm (this one isn't nearly as bad... but they also gave him more nitrous than they should have while they were chatting)....

tl;dr - paramedics are awesome...EMTs fail
