7 hours late? I wouldn't worry about it too much at all.

First, is her family very fertile? Do they get pregnant easily and quickly? Or not as much?

My parents had a difficult time having me and my sister, and I can't think of any other family members except one cousin who had a "Whoops" baby. I've taken it an entire day late before and never had a problem. And then when that was fine, I got a little more lax and still had no problems.

Though, I also know someone who was super-fertile and got pregnant while being on the pill regularly.

So, it just depends on the background, but at the same time, it shouldn't be too much of a concern (unless this is the first few months she's taking it).

morning after pills; ask doc about em

Assuming she hasn't missed any other doses recently, 7 hours late isn't anything to worry about. While it's important to take the pill roughly the same time every day, the notion that it needs to be taken at the exact same minute every single day or else you absolutely will get pregnant is an exaggeration. The occasional deviation from normal routine is just fine, assuming that most days it's on schedule.

A big part of the reason why you take it at the same time every day is so you don't forget to take it.

You can miss an entire day and the odds of getting pregnant are still statistically irrelevant.
