I've been doing cardio and isometrics for the past two months with somewhat favourable results. Before I was 6'00" 145 lbs and now I'm about 150 lbs which I assume I gained 5 lbs of muscle (or so I think). I haven't changed my diet as I'm not trying to bulk up or slim down, just trying to stay healthy and fit.

The problem is, as I was skinny before I had a flat undefined stomach. Now, after two months, I actually have somewhat of a gut that sticks out just a tad bit. My upper torso is a bit more defined but my gut is sticking out, so I'm a bit worried that five pounds could be in my gut. What can I do to fix this? I don't really want a six pack, just my old flat stomach I use to have.

5lbs on your stomach would be very noticeable, especially if it was flat before.

So, um. You didn't change your diet so presumably you only gained muscle. Yet, you somehow gained a "gut". Two possibilities:
1) You now have abs which push out the fat that was already there.
2) You DID change your diet and gained fat.

Solution:
1) Get over it.
2) Lose weight.
