I apologize in advance for this being long as shit. I made the decision to get into shape about 5 months ago. I joined a gym and worked with a personal trainer for the first 3 months. I started eating better (basically cut all crap food out of my diet, junk food, fast food, etc) and started eating more smaller meals which I discovered was healthier. The last 2 months I've been working out on my own, and while the results have been good (have lost about 3 percent body fat and gained some muscle mass) my workouts have been disappointing me.

I used to be exhausted after my routine and the next day would be sore all over which I grew to love because I knew it meant I worked hard. However over the last month or so I don't get that anymore. Here is my basic routine, and keep in mind, all I use for equipment is my own body and a really tough resistance band (I have no idea what strength but it works well).

3 x 20 pushups with different hand positions
3 X 20 dips on a chair
3 X 20 bicep curls standing and hammer
4 X 25 crunches, 2 sets straight on, 1 set leaning towards left, 1 right
3 X 20 straight squats

Like I said this routine worked great for awhile but I really wanna step it up. I'm not looking for muscle mass as much as definition and stamina. I think more than anything I just need some ideas to work myself harder.

SOOO, finally getting down to it, what tips for my routine/ eating tips/ anything you guys can come up with do you have for me? Please keep in mind I'm just using my own body in my house. Also, I'm 6'1 185lbs if that matters at all. Thanks a ton and a pic for reference.

you don't look 185, even with being over 6 feet tall. Where do you put it?

Get your ass back in the gym and start lifting

OP: Has anyone informed you that your tree tattoo only works for girls?

Just to let you know OP, the reason your such a faggot is because you posted a "myspace" picture for reference.
Such a ridiculous angle.

Samefag. What are you some fucking fat 12 year old who's jealous of this guy? I doubt you have any tattoos nor a clue as to anything about working out. Go back to /b/ you fucking gaiafag and stay off my /fit/ unless you have something productive to say.

Listen man, tattoo bullshit aside, what you've done is kinda maxed out using your own body. You really do need to hit the gym you got a membership for and start using weights in your routine. Going from 20 to 100 pushups looks cool but really isn't effective for giving you muscles a true workout. Now going from benching 100 to 200 is an obvious and accurate way to tell that you are, in fact, getting stronger. If you add weights I guarantee you'll start "feeling" your workouts more.

he doesn't want to bulk up though, he wants stamina and definition

What do you suggest then? I wasn't literally saying he needs to shoot for pressing 200 but adding weights to his workout will bring him towards his goals.

He will only get 'definition' by adding muscle mass. It will take a LOT for him to 'bulk up,' that will not happen accidentially.

Weight training is the only way to go, and I think OP will be very pleased with the results.
