So /fit/, running is killing my knees, so I've decided to buy an exercise bike. Unfortunately, I have limited space. Could anyone recommend a decent fold up bike?

I've also heard a lot about rowing and how great it is for you. Obviously I can't buy one of those big hunking things for my room, but is it really worth going to a gym often to do?

i don't know about foldup bikes sorry.

if you go to college (i'm assuming by room you meant dorm and not studio apt.) your campus gym should be cheap/free.

if you *are* interested in buying a concept2 rower, i'd suggest a used ClassC... they have all the quality of classD and E but only 1 less useful feature... classE is entirely a waste of money.
craigslist should have class Cs available for 50-100 dollars...

moving on to benefits of erging:
core stability(if your back bends, yerdoinitrong)
calf, quad, bicep strengthening
cardiovascular strengthening
specific focus on hamstrings (if you erg on an incline)

problems: you think *running* is fucking with your knees? wait til you try THIS

If you're *really* limited on space, you could go for rollerblades instead.

I think you got me wrong. I mean an exercise bike, something I can do while my lazy ass watches TV or whatever.
