How detrimental is smoking to your immediate fitness and stamina? I've been smoking cigerettes for more or less a year or so now. I can go without smoking for weeks at a time having a smoke once in awhile on a nice drive or with friends, smoking the most when I'm out drinking. If I say smoke 0-2 packs a month how much might I be under preforming when I run or work out?

2 packs a month? not at all i'd say, thats like 1 cigarette a day, you can hardly call that smoking
i smoke like 4-5 packs a month and i dont consider myself a real "smoker" either

Smoking hits your stamina bad. I was reading an article by England goalkeeper David James who said he used to smoke when he played Liverpool. He could sprint 100 meters faster than anyone else in his squad, but anything further than 100 meters and he would be completely out of breath.

Goalkeepers are lucky in that all that's required of them are short bursts of activity. But he said it affected his stamina a lot, and has since quit smoking.

You're barely smoking, faggot. You won't be under performing.

But do you smoke yourself? You acquire an opinion off of one article you read?

Not cool.
