Something's wrong with my foot... WowOhWow !vyaRPG2MO6
And rather go to the doctor I figure it's probably happened to someone else on here.

I have an extreme amount of pain in my foot. Along the arch on the inside almost I guess. Essentially my foot feels like it is tearing itself apart each time I put weight on it.

Oddly enough I had extreme foot pain for about 2 months back in they day (19 y/o college student w/no car). Only hurt when I was walking....Probably about the same area as OP's pain is... Raidiating through the mid part of the arch and nearly spiking through the top?
My shoes were probably the cause of it.... a heavily beat-up pair of Chuck Taylors (absolutely zero for decent arch support) with a pair of cheap-ass insoles that did little to no good.

fix'd = new pair of shoes (ultra comfy with very good arch support) although it wasn't immediate. It took my feet about 2 weeks or so to stop hurting I think... by then I had gotten used to the massive pain.

I don't know the physical reason behind it, but perhaps you stepped wrong on something? Or bent it oddly (I know, I've done it before ><;;)
TL:DR - get new shoes.

Mewo pretty much got it; more than likely lack of arch support causing you to pull some muscles in the foot. When weight's not on it, they're able to relax, but when you put weight on it, it causes them to stretch out, causing you pain. So yeah, get some biomechanically fit shoes and let your footsies heal.

lookup "plantar fasciitis"

i'm assuming you spend a lot of time on your feet.
