Sup /fit/?

I have decided that I don't give a fuck that I'm fat.

I have tons of friends, a girlfriend who isn't a fatty, a job, and I'm doing good at school.

Fuck it.

Enjoy it while it lasts. The second you stop caring is the second shit falls apart.

It's just, right now, being 18, I don't give a fuck.

As soon as I have a better job (read: Self sufficient, not living with parents) I want to get a personal trainer, go to a gym, get in shape, etc.

what's your height and weight?

6'2", 260lbs

Although I went from 248 to 260 when I started to work out.

So at regular fatty-ness, I'm about 250

It's better to do that shit when your parents are paying for at least some of your life (such as rent and food).

Durpadur. Good luck finding the hundreds of dollars personal trainers cost with an 18 year old job.

As long as you will positively have the will power and resources to pull yourself out of the shitty rut you're about to dive into, go for it.

What makes you think that if you don't have the motivation to better yourself when it is provided, that you'll have the motivation when you actually have to spend your own hard earned money in your own limited free time?

OP doesn't really need a trainer or a gym membership. I see OP being casual about getting into shape, and just buying free weights and a jump rope.

No he doesn't, nor does anyone. That isn't the point. The point is that now, living with his parents, he has a lot of free time and everything is provided for him, and yet he is unmotivated to make a change. I don't see how him having to provide for himself and having limited free time will help his cause at all. OP, do it while you're young, strong, and energetic. You WILL regret it if you don't.

OP here, yes, I actually purchased a set of freeweights yesterday (the solid metal ones, not the interchangeable ones)

I was wondering where I could by a jump rope that isn't meant for 5 year olds?

if you didnt care, you would be in this section, so leave

At the moment, not much is provided or me, and my job is balls. (min. wage)

Any sporting goods store. If you are 250 pounds, I don't think jumping would be the best cardio exercise. You ought to try running, which is still hard on the joints, but far less than jumping rope.
