Dearest /fit/,

How do I implement bodyweight exercises in my routine which includes stronglifts 3 times a week and HIIT 3 times a week, for extra stability training and whatnot? I'm talking about pistols, 1 arm/1 leg pushups and the like just for starters, and then moving up to the more "flashier" exercises like V-ups and 90 degree pushups.

I'd consider myself pretty strong, but I can't for the life of me do more than 1 or 2 pistols and I can't even do 1 1arm/1 leg pushup. I've been reading The Naked Warrior, and a lot of the stuff is really interesting, but like I mentioned before I'm not sure how to properly implement these exercises into my routine, so any help would be appreciated.

In return, delicious squatz butt.

Stick with the stronglifts for a while. I don't know what your goals are, but every other athletic task becomes easier once you build up your strength base, which I suspect you're doing if you're doing Stronglifts. You only need to do 1/3 of your weekly weight load to maintain strength, so pick a goal where you'd be satisfied at, like weight or strength-wise, and phase out 2 of the SL workouts and replace them with something from the Naked Warrior or whatever other bodyweight conditioning program you'd like.

wai hulo thur,

this is hard to reply to given that lack of detail of your 'strong lift' days i.e. if you're going to near failure on heavy ass squats then well yeah... you probably can't fit pistols cause ur legs will b in pain etc etc, however, if not then of course you can.

pistols and one arm push ups are pretty ez, my suggestion is you do them while during TV time?

ur question sucked btw

Yes, I probably should have been more clear in my post. I usually do something like Stronglifts (with HEAVY ASS SQUATZ) Monday Wednesday and Friday and HIIT Tuesday Thursday and maybe Saturday.

Also I don't usually watch TV so yeah, but anyways thanks for the response.

well i wrote the prior post,

i think fitness plans are a personal thing that you need to figure out your self if you have amazing recovery time then sure do it you'll only find out by trying to fit them in and seeing how it all feels.

i don't believe they work your legs in the same way so way so i think it's realistic to do both in a short time frame you might have to slack of on the squats and related lifts while getting your pistols down but once you've hit that magic 8-12 you can probably get back to squatting 100% and if anything your squat will have probably increased, i know mine did.
