Eating and exercising around work. Anonymous
Before, I was working from 10a,-2pm, and that left me tons of time for exercise and healthy eating. Now I work from 7am-3pm and spend like 90 minutes commuting each day. This has led to my eating a verysmall breakfast and very small lunch, and then gorge myself all evening after work and then laying around stuffed. Can anyone recommend things to eat before or during work that will keep me energized without making me feel full or tired and inattentive? I can't seem to find a meal that will reach that happy medium.

Get up and lift before work, or lift after work. Bring food to work to eat. What kind of job do you do?

Mostly I stand or sit at imaging machines and scan documents for eight hours. There's not a lot of moving around, so I don't need a lot of energy. But, like I said, that leads me to spend the evening making up for my food deficit and by the time I feel fueled up, I also feel bloated and the sun is nearly down. I've worked out in the early AM before, but never when I had to be at work right after.

Ok so you can probably sneak some food in now and then during the day. Bring stuff to work to snack on, nuts, fruits, protein bars, and so on. You probably also have a lunch break, no? Bring or buy some chicken and eat it. That combined with eating before and after work should be enough.

Make all your meals on the weekend. That way, you have them ready, and you free up literally hours a day if you just do it bulk.

Alright, I'll see if I can get a little more eating in, especially of the meat or fish variety. Thanks.
