OK /sp/oons, after reading this http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/olympics/article4582421.ece article I've decided to become an Olympian and I need your help deciding which event I should train for, and how to achieve my goal.

Some info:
20 year old male
6', Slender build
Long legs, fairly short arms
Very unsupple
Extremely unfit (hopefully I can turn this around no problem)
Britfag - I don't know if that will give me any advantage?

Feel free to ask more questions. I'm guessing middle distance running is most obvious (long distance is dominated by east africans) but I wonder if there are any other suggestions?

PS. Making it to the athletes village is satisfactory, however gold medal is prefered as I'd love to hang it off my cock as Victoria Pendleton gives me a blowjob.

You're damn right, that's me 4 years from now.

I guess I'll get running and see which even suits me most. Might try some cycling aswell since cycling and running are probably the easiest events to learn, don't require much skill unlike things like swimming or gymnastics or badminton etc.

Shooting, archery, pentathlon, etc.

Fencing as well maybe.

it takes about 10 years of training to become a sucessful olympian, you either have it or dont.

i gave up my free ticket to becoming an olympian for 2012 because i think the sport i was in will do very badly, its only cause we have the olympics we qualify for it

Shooting and archery require very steady hands which I (currently, not sure if it can really be trained) don't have. Also these events are very technical, which would make me think you'd need to start young to be good, where as things like running are natural and mostly require physical training (I also used to be pretty fast, but haven't done much exercise the last 4 years).

Which event was that?

Maybe I have it? Unlikey I know, but it's a good excuse to get fit.

handball, its not known in the UK very well, heck i didnt even play it until i trialed for it and they though i had something in me to possibly play in london 2012

its a lot hard than you think, getting up early training over 6 hours a day then doing it over and over again, and possibly in a place far far away from home!

yeah i was watching the handball final thinking it looked fucking easy.

could say that, but its experiance is what we will lack when it comes to 2012, about 75% or the team would have only been playing it for 4 years, and the rest are forigen players who have british in their family who have played it in their own country

you will have to find a sport that suits you, join a club and just start from there!

Aww man, shit sucks. I might just go back to sitting all day at the computer.

handball is the only sport that I know of where goals are expected to outnumber saves

yes and i was the goalie in handball trailing for the olympics, it so hard and letting in more goals than saves most of the time doesnt make you feel the best! but every save you make makes you feel pumped!
