Need suggestions on exercises and diets that will help get rid of stomach fat and moobs. I don't have access to any equipment and have no extra money for gym memberships and what not.

Pic sorta related (but I'm not that bad)

Start a food journal so you can figure out whether or not you eat too much (you do). Eat less, eat healthy (for nutrition). Start walking 30 minutes every day to build some stamina. Then start running. Do calisthenics. Do pushups, lunges, squats, bicycle crunches, pullups (if you can, if not forget about it). If you can't do the full exercises that's OK, do something modified that will help you get to where you CAN. KEEP AN EXERCISE JOURNAL (VERY IMPORTANT FOR MOTIVATION).

i would suggest a low/negative calorie diet

consume ~1500-2000 calories a day

walk, jog, pushups

replace snacks and even some meals with negative calorie foods. google for more information.
if you want to lose it really fast, then eat nothing but negative calorie foods and the weight will fly off at a ridiculous rate

HA HA HA HA HA.

Oh man and i actually like all these "negative calorie foods". Awesome D:

OP here: Some people have said to replace meals with protein supplements such as whey protein. Thoughts?

>replace meals
NO NO NO NO NO. Horrible idea.

Protip: Protein drinks taste like shit, but we drink them anyway, so if you like the taste of shit, SURE.

there's this show on OLN at 6 am and 7am and it's these 2 hot chicks wearing adidas clothing. you should do that.

hey you can bash negative calories if you want, but it works

i generally start my day with a bowl of oatmeal. my dinner usually contains chicken or fish and sometimes pork or beef

everything else during the day is a negative calorie food item. I Do Not Go Hungry.

the weight drops off fast

Does your sleep schedule have anything to do with being fat? Lately I've been sleeping from like 5am to 2pm >.>

Yeah. If you have a fucked sleep schedule it's a sign that you're lazy and lack discipline.

I weighed over 300 pounds

I did low carb till around 280, but stopped because i kept getting constipated and I didn't like eating like that

So I now do low calories and negative calories. I'm now 259 pounds and doing fine.

I need to get to around 215 pounds and I'll be at the right weight. So I would recommend negative calories. You get to eat as much as you need to not be hungry and the fruits are delicious anyhow.

Waiting for classes to start. Should be fine again once they do. It's only two weeks away and I'm hoping I can fix it before that, but my roommate isn't helping at all D:

OP Here: I wouldn't want to do the whole low carb/high protein thing anyway. Too expensive on my current budget and doesn't make sense to me that you can lose weight eating nothing but meat or w/e.

For the low calorie/negative calorie plan, what would you suggest for a daily calorie intake to start? Maybe some suggestions about meals?

You've gotta keep yourself busy man. Plan your schedule a day in advance and stick with it.

Just moved to a new area and have no money for gas right now. Not much is in walking distance as far as anything interesting. So naturally I don't have much to get excited over for now D:

Do that and subtract 500. That should be your daily caloric intake.

So what? Screw leisure, do something productive. Your self-esteem/self-efficacy will rise the more shit you get done.

If I had time I would get a job, but in two weeks I'll be in class 8 hours a day 6 days a week. What would you consider "productive"? Honestly I do feel like a lazy piece of shit right now lol

For negative calories I prefer apples and oranges. They are my favorite. For side dishes with dinner I prefer broccoli.

Basically start your day with something that will get you going. Oatmeal was suggested and that's a great thing to do. You can put some fruit in it and maybe something like splenda if it's not tasting good enough.

Through the day snack on items from the negative calories list. Whatever it is you like most.

For lunch you can choose to either eat negative calorie items or have a salad with a very light amount of dressing. Maybe even a sandwich, as long as it's not something like a foot long meatball sub.

For dinner your best bet is to have chicken or fish + vegetable. Backed chicken or fish. Don't eat breaded like you get at kfc or wherever. You can even have beef or pork sometimes.

The amount of calories you need is more specific to a person. For example, if you're 6' tall and weigh 250 then you need something like 2800-3000 calories per day just to maintain that weight. Eating 2000 calories a day and getting light amounts of exercise will drop that weight off fairly safely and at a steady rate.

However, if you need to lose all that weight fast for some reason, you could simply eat mostly negative calorie foods for awhile. It's less safe, but that weight will melt off in no time.

Just don't stay on it. Make sure you get some protein and fiber.

Reading classic novels? Reading to learn about something? Working out? Networking(social)? Volunteer work? Helping the homeless? DOing that big brother program? Being outside most of the day? Learning to dance? Making family feel good about themselves? Cleaning? Learning to cook?

also keep in mind about negative calorie diets

you don't have to starve

eat them whenever your hungry at all

there's no going hungry

2438.8 calories sounds high to me but I'm not an expert.

Holy shit you must be really big. The reason you only subtract 500 is so you don't lose weight so fast that it's unhealthy.
>> Anonymous
>>395314
Plus you might get ridiculously hungry and sabotage yourself.
>> anonymous
Reduce calorie intake by no more than 10%... otherwise your body will react like you're fasting, and just store more of what you eat. Small, consistent changes will produce small, consistent drops in weight. You don't have to start running marathons, but try doing some easy exercise, start with 15 minutes per day, every day, for a month. Then 20 minutes. Then 30... you get the idea.

Dear /fit/

I took a deep look in the mirror today and have finally decided to do something about my body. I’m in mid twenties, haven’t exercised in years, and am ready to do whatever I need to lose the excess weight.

Current stats - | Twenty-four | 6’ 2” | 260ish | moobs |

My main goal is to simply lose the chest and stomach fat, as well as build up my stamina in hopes of running a full mile at a steady pace. Muscles aren’t as important right now as losing the weight. I’m extremely new (read noob) to the exercise world, so please assist / critique in any way possible.

I currently have access to a treadmill, and basketball court, live in a safe neighborhood if I feel like jogging in the park, and would prefer to lift weights at home until I feel less self-conscious about my body – for the price I plan on purchasing the XRS20 (I’ve seen it posted here before - http://www.goldsgear.com/cgi-bin/frontrunner.cgi?ri=111&rc=GGYM&rs=T&ro=T&sid=GGBE14
86&whs=ALL&os=AUTOCAST ) along with 300 pounds worth of weights).

My diet will of course change, and I have no problem eating fruits, vegetables, turkey, grilled chicken, et cetera, and am an amazing cook, so no worries there. As of today I will no longer dominate Starbucks, skittles while I’m high, or fast food in any way. If the meal was not prepared by me at home, fuck that mess.

Fit; please help me in creating a workout routine. I have the motivation, just need assistance getting started. The bench I plan on purchasing will be great for benching, leg lifts, et cetera, and I already have a set of dumbbells.

Again, any help will be greatly appreciated.
