Okay, I have never been a fan of jogging yet I use to enjoy riding a bike. In a few weeks when the weather stop's getting down under 40 I'm planning on going and buying a bike to work cardio.

So my question to you is is it a good workout? I'm just wondering if I can get a good workout while still enjoying what I'm doing.

Pic related - I plan on getting either a bmx bike or a mountain bike and never take it out of the higher gears.

If it's all uphill, yes.

If you're in flat country, pedal damn fast. Try "HIIT" style pedalling

I live in a fairly small town so traffic isn't the biggest concern. And the main reason I enjoy getting out on a bike more than jogging is because it's a change of scenery.

Get a race bike and you'll get legs like a hydaulic press.

Oh man yeah. I just bought a BMX with a friend and we've been tearing up the streets. It's a great time.
