OK, /fit/, I would like to know what your opinion is on sports drinks. Good to drink when you want to lose weight? etc.

sports drinks are a total joke you have to run for 40 mins at 6.5 miles an hour to burn off those cals, sugars.. etc etc

OP, go 50/50 with Gatorade (or other sports drink) and water.

It won't taste great, but it won't overload your system with electrolytes and sugar.

Alternative, drink Pedialyte. I love that shit, and any time I'm doing serious exertion (think 3-games-a-day soccer tourneys in Vegas and Texas) I have a cooler of Pedialyte. Works great.

I usually did cardio in the morning because i wanted to lose weight and stuff, but i always feel rather dizzy 5 minutes into it. Drinking sports drinks kept me on there for like 30 minutes more than usual, but then again I'm burning the energy that I'm putting in during cardio. I'll go 50/50 with the sports drinks thoug,h thanks for the advice.
