so what does /fit/ think of this diabolical workout (the fuckin' 400)

10 sets of 10 reps of
overhead squats
back squats
front squats
thrusters

of course scaled to whatever pounds.
>> Theodore Roosevelt
sounds like it would take over 9000 hours

how many pounds are you lifting, i hope you don't fuck up your hamstrings.

i'm 6'2" 160 pounds and i did this workout today to see if i could get through it

my pounds were 45 for OHS, 95 for BS, 65 for FS, and 55 for thrusters

i could've done more on the OHS and FS but i didn't want to not finish. took me an hour and half to finish with about 45 sec to 1 minute in between sets and also 1 long rest between front squats and thrusters when i had to refill my water bottles and take down a carb gel for energy

I'd rather stick with squats and press.
But i think 400 would be good for cardio?

although you're doing light weights b/c of the number of reps your bound to fuck up your knees... rethink actual weight and stick to sets of 3 x 10 or do the 5 x 5 of each exercise.

"The Fucking 400" pushes strength endurance to its limit. Four-hundred total reps of moderate weight squatting movements. It's best to work with a partner, with one athlete knocking out his set of ten reps, and resting while his partner does the same. Storm through this hour-long workout, no extra rest between exercises. Knowing 10 sets of thrusters are coming weakens the mind as much as much as failing quads and hammies darken your spirit. that's what Rob Shaul says about it on www.mtnathlete.com

i also did it with my friend who is like 5'11" 220 pounds, and he had some troubles with form after the OHS but blasted through the thusters.
