I'm super thin, my doctor says it's unhealthy, but failed to give me a food plan to start gaining a little weight healthy.

What's the healthiest way to gain 5-10 pounds in a reasonable amount of time?

It takes a long time. I had the same thing happen but my doctor sent me to a nutritionist so an expert could talk to me about it. Turned out I just didn't eat enough (duh). You need to eat HEALTHY calorie dense foods. Don't eat junk food. You need to eat a lot more. You need to do strength training (muscle weighs more than fat).

Quiches. I had to gain weight, so I started eating those delightful vegetable & meat pies.

Whole cream, eggs, bacon, neck of lamb, broccoli, onions, tomatoes, sprouts, loads of different cheeses.. shit is delicious and you're bound to gain, while still eating healthy.

corn salsa
whatever other salsa, of your choice
cheese
no sour cream though
add guac

That's for breakfast. For lunch eat a Thickburger/Six Dollar Burger on wheat bun (most Hardees/Carls have them)

Dinner, protein shake with regular whole milk

If you've been underweight your whole life, it could be a sign of Marfan's Syndrome. Can't hurt to find out.

To gain 5-10 pounds, eat what you normally eat during the day and drink a milkshake before bed. Vanilla, mint, whatever. Just drink it. You should be nice and heavy within a few weeks.

listen do this man, he's right. Eat something fatty like ice cream or McDonlads or whatever right before bed, that's when all the fat from the ffod will be absorbed in your body and you'll gain weight FAST.

You need to eat complex carbs! If you eat a couple hours before bed your body will store all that food. If you do anything to keep in shape thats good you just need to eat a blend of simple and complex carbs before and after. GL
