Hello /fit/ - Health and Fitness.

Have a Health question for you tonight.

Anybody diagnosed with any diseases here? Anything at all.

I'll start.

I have Hypogammaglobulinemia, absent IGA. Basically, missing proteins in my blood that help the immune system. My immune system is weak as fuck, and am sick often due to it.
Pink eye, ear infections, rashes, colds, you name it, I get one of these a month on average.
The main cure is an IV treatment of the missing proteins. Although having lived without them for so long, my body may reject these.

To be honest, it makes having a normal working-life difficult. I never thought much of it while I was a student, you can miss class and still get homework. At a job, you can't just do your work at home.

22 years old, hard to keep a job due to sickness.

Some people do get healthier over time. Just as if OP could take the IV treatments, he'd be healthy as well.

Hypothyroidism, not too bad just need to take some pills every day. Without them I just get tired as fuck and apparently it can lead to serious symptoms like comas and shit if I leave the medicine for a month or so.

What do you do to help boost your incomplete immune system? Or do you just fade away as Darwin meant it to be?

Vitamins. Doesn't help more than a little, still get sick a lot. Have an ear infection now, just got over some eye problems.

graves disease.

Actually from hyperthyroid. But I didn't let those fuckers irradiate to death my thyroid, and now the hyperthyroid just went away after taking small amounts of mthimazole for about 9 mo.

It was pretty awesome though, eat whatever you want and still lose weight. Just hope you don't die spontaneously. That's toally worth it, right/
