I just switched to free weights from machines and my palms burn. Does anyone have advice on what do to for palm pain, I need to go shopping.

I wrapped bandages around the bars. Not only does that prevent getting sandpaper hands, but the increased girth helps developing finger strength... or just use gloves?

you should be holding the bar tight enough that it isnt moving/rubbing against your skin. for pulls, grip the bar right under your fingers where most people get calluses from lifting, for presses have the bar in the pocket between your thumb and finger, keeping it as close to your wrist as possible. also squeeze tight.

Lightly wrap your hands in some sort of fabric.
Havent tried it with weights or nothing, but it stops your knuckles from ripping open in a fight.
