While a pulled groin is just a slightly damaged muscle which should heal over the next few days. If you felt something slip and push inside of you, it is likely a hernia.
However because this does not seem to be the case it is most likely muscle/joint damage. However if you lose control while doing a squat (minus weight) you could have serious muscle or ligament damage that, while unlikely, could require therapy to fully heal. To be safe see a doctor or even a trainer.
