Hay /fit/, longtime lurker here.

I'm sure you've seen threads like these plenty, but I had to make my own.

I have lost about 66lbs, but I'm still bothered about my midsection. Pic related, it's me. Left one is what I look like now, and on the right is what I'd LIKE to look like. Because of summer, my eating habits are still a bit shitty, but I've already started working on 'em. So, how do I get myself to look like that, or even close? Yeah yeah I'm VERY aware that "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS SPOT REDUCTION!!1!!". Would bicycling 1 hour a day, 5 days a week help, even a little? If not that, what else? I hate jogging and love bicycling, so I'd like to do that. For my calorie intake, I was thinking about 1400-1600kcal/day. Is that too little, or fine? I also hurt my back few years ago, so I can't do sit-ups etc much before it starts to hurt. Though I've heard that sit-ups don't really help, that was just an example.

Any tips and inspirational pictures are welcome.

First off - Mad shoopin skills yo.

To lose weight, lower your calorie in-take, eat healthy, and stay away from heavily processed food. You won't have to do any exercises such as situps but bicycling will help you expend your calories. Things like situps are for people who also want to gain muscle while they're at it. Personally, I would go for the losing weight portion first then go for the toning after I hit the desired weight.

work on your inner abs. Stomach vacuum, SQUATZ if you can

HIIT, HIIT, and more HIIT. And eat well.

And, if you really want to see results, start lifting three times a week. And don't lift like a bitch, lift heavy until failure. You won't look 'buff,' trust me.

cycling will help a lot.

do bicycle crunches instead of sit ups.

I gotta give props to anon here
1)great shoop
2)nice loss of 66lb
3)nice to see an honest pic showing the issues up front
4)you acknowledge no spot reduction of fat
5)you acknowledge sit ups as not the ultimate killer app for big gut

Keep at it, I say. You will get there.

Now I am seriously requesting that anons post be archived right now. It is fucking 1000X better than the usual faggotry, and THIS IS A GIRL FOR CHRIST SAKE. Shame on us. Shame.

I'm not sure 1400-1600kcal/day will make you lose weight.

SQUATZ. I'm serious.
>> OP

How come? I lost a few pounds in two weeks when I ate 1500kcal and bicycled half an hour a day.

>>343859
How much should I do SQUATZ then?

nice improvement

Is that a shoop or are you just sucking in on the 2nd pic and relaxing in the first? If it's a shoop it's excellent.

I'm pround of you, 66lbs is an epic loss. Your body is gonna be smokin, nice bootie and nice tits, just keep at it. Weights then cardio, lots of squats and deads to kill your core then murder the stepper or run for 45 mins.

Well done on the 66lbs so far.

My two cents: if your goal for the time being is weight loss (and not muscle gain etc.), it's all about maintaining a calorific deficit over a sustained period of time. Use the internet to calculate the number of calories you need to maintain your current weight, on the basis of your age, height, weight and average activity level, Then aim to consume around 500 calories less than that per day. Use a food tracking site like fitday.com to keep an accurate log of what you eat - if you treat it like a science, you'll do fine.

Of course, exercise on top is great. Any cardio, for at least 30 mins, is ideal. But diet is probably the most important thing for now.

Best of luck.
