If you use supplements and eat the right foods, your body can function just fine without meat.
But that's not why I hate vegetarians. I hate them because refusing to eat meat is stupid. I hate them because my cafeteria is always serving dishes that would NORMALLY be delicious, but instead they omit the meat and make it a "vegetarian option". I hate them because they try to push their views onto other people. I hate them because I LOVE eating meat, and they look at me like I'm doing something wrong. Newsflash morons: We are SUPPOSED to eat meat, as well as plants. We're omnivores, DUR. And it's not like animals really have feelings, and even if they do, it doesn't matter.
So in short, I could tolerate vegetarians if they: -kept it to themselves -didn't press cafeterias to have more fucking "vegetarian options" -didn't always ruin the fun of going out to eat ("I can't go to that place, every dish has meat") -didn't try to take some kind of moral high ground Sorry, I know that doesn't answer your question at all. It's just that there's rarely an opportunity to really RAAAAAGE about vegetarians.
To answer your original question: YES there are reasons you should eat meat. You can manage without it, but it's much simpler (and more delicious) to just eat some lovely meat.
