/fit/ are chicken wings bad for you? I love making buffalo wings and so my mom bought a bunch of chicken wings not knowing I changed my diet now to get skinner.

So now I have a bunch of wings at home that I need to eat before they go bad (my mom is a penny pincher and would be angry if they went to waste). If I just lightly coated them in flour and spices and baked them, would that be healthy?

Oh! And eat them without any sauce also because I don't think that has any nutritional value.

Eat it plain or make a healthy marinate you faggot.

EAT THEM WHILE DOING SQUATZ

If you're lifting then the protein will probably benefit you. I think with enough activity, you should be okay. Don't quote me on this though, I'm not fully sure.

By plain you mean just bake it plain with nothing? And you say make a healthy marinate, example please?

ive always had this philosophy as well; and making your own is obviously a plus because you have total control over how they are made.

It benefits bulking/cutting either way since the majority of people around here are doing high protein, low carbs. Cut the flour out unless you restrict carbs at other times of the day. I'd say these should be eaten at lunch rather than dinner if flour is used in my personal opinion.

Acidic based i.e. vinegar with herbs & spices. Throw all your shit in a freezer bag and throw your meat in and leave for a few hours/overnight. Make it to your own tastes, i usually just do a tomato & chilli based marinate. Then cook it to your preference, i usually slow cook it in the oven.

protip: stab your meat with a knife and bash it flat if its thick & mostly boneless so the flavours will absorb easier.

Look up marinating recipes, or go to the fucking grocery store and check labels on the marinates. You can't go wrong with some kind of lemon, but if you want the buffalo sauce, I have no fucking clue. Look it up. There's bound to be a healthy alternative. Google motherfucker, use it.

Forgot to add, i dont recommend the majority of store bought marinates. Most of them are full of sugar and crap, as said above make it yourself, learn it through google and you control your intake of food groups.

Ok, from what I'm getting, cut the flour and marinate in something like lemon.

Also, I'm not try to build muscle, trying to lose weight so I run everyday. I posted my meals yesterday and people told me I ate too little calories in a day, soemthing like 1000. So I thoguht I'd add some protein through this

Yeah, 1000 is too low. What's your height / weight / gender?

5'6 170 male

Yeah. 1500 would be ideal if you're looking to lose 1-2 pounds a week if your daily caloric intake for maintaining weight is average (2000). Any less and you're risking muscle loss. With lack of nutrition, your body goes into "survival mode" (or catabolic state - also caused by overtraining / not enough rest), causing your body to store fat and burn muscle as fuel.

Here's a link that goes a little more in depth.

Chicken wings you get at a restaurant/bar/take out/whatever are usually bad for you for three main reasons:

1) The batter
2) Deep frying (Oven is always better)
3) Sauce

Actual chicken meat ownz; make them healthy by marinating in soy sauce or lemon and herbs or whatever.

The thing about buffalo wings (My favourite fucking food on earth) Is that they are usually coated in high fat butter and fried to get the skin kinda crispy and to absorb the hot sauce. Also they are usually served with high fat blue cheese dressing. Furthermore the chicken has skin on it which is the worst shit. Basically, eat what your mom purchased in whatever way you want. And tell her not to buy them again. Or strip off all the skin and bake/grill them plain.

Not OP, but I'd sooner die that give up buffalo wings. I could give up every other unhealthy food.

Well, I'm intent on losing weight so I'm giving them up. Next time I cook these wings will either be skinless, or marinated in lemon.

Marinate and grill. Chiavetta's or Cornell sauce works pretty well for that. My wife loves wings, so I had to find a way to make them healthy. She likes the ones I make on the grill much better than any of the fried crap that we can can order. It's a bit time consuming like most pieces of chicken on the grill, but well worth it.

take off the skin.

all the fat and shit is in the skin/between the skin and meat. then you can just marinate and bake.
