fucking sleep Anonymous
So pretty much most of this whole month Ive been going to sleep at like 5am and waking up in the afternoon. I was just a bad habit that was hard to break. I have a 5k race tomorrow, so Ive been trying to go to sleep earlier and earlier. I tried going to sleep at 1am last night but I ended up falling asleep at like 4 and waking up at 2pm today. So since I have this important race tomorrow, I went to bed at 10:30, and I lay in my bed until now. It is now 2:45am, and I haven't gotten any sleep at all. I am just to nervous and I can feel my whole body pulsing, and my mind won't stop moving. As I'm typing this I feel a little bit tired, but I have been all night. I've yawned here and there, an I tried numerous sleep tricks to fall asleep. I just can't - I'm too nervous. But I NEED to run this 5k race. Even if I go to sleep right now - I'll only have 3.5 hours of sleep, since I need to be up at 6:30 and racing at 8:30, so I'm pretty much screwed.

So my question is, how plausible can it be to just stay up and race on no sleep? I'll be nervous the whole way through so I'll pretty much just be running on adrenaline I guess. How much will this affect me?

Running a race on 3 hours of sleep? And you're already really tired? This doesn't sound like such a good idea to me.

Try turning off the computer (and even the TV) for a day, or at least 4 hours before bedtime. Bright screens in dark places trick your brain into thinking it's daytime.
