not entirely a bad thing but you do need to be careful.
don't straighten your arm completely at the end. from the man himself ronnie coleman says about preachers: "Do not go to full extension. second, i have had this kind of pain as well. by moving my elbows closer together on the pad, it really seems to reduce the stress by naturally angling your forearms towards each other. i do the same with regular barbells curls by gripping the bar with my hands close together (6-8 inches apart).
