Sup /fit/,

I decided to get in shape for serious now. The problem for me is that I'm a full-time college student and work a part-time job so time is a huge fucking issue. Also, I'm poor because of school and working a shitty part-time job.

Age: 19
Height: 5'10''
Weight: 172lbs

I used to be worse but I stopped eating crap everyday and started working out with little 20lb weights in my spare time. Now, even through my fat I see and feel some muscle definition on my arms. I want to do more of this but faster but still in limited time. My diet still kind of sucks even though it is better than it was.

The problem with eating every couple hours is my schedule. I go to class 7:00a.m. to 12:45 and work 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. Does /fit/ have any sort of idea how to get in shape with a limited schedule? I can't afford going to the gym, but my school has one that is closed on weekends which is pretty much the only time I have.

Also, what sort of foods should I eat if I only have time for three meals a day?

Go in between classes? you only need like 1 hour every two days.

go to the rec center after work, you're not really overweight so 30-45 mins/day would be enough.

10 minutes inbetween classes and I need about 15 minutes to get home, 30 minutes to cook and eat, and 20 minutes to drive to work.

That gives me about 10 free minutes to blow in between school and work.

Srsly? I would get results from that? Should I just focus on cardio after work?

OP, the way I see it you have thirteen hours between the time you get out of work and start class. Assuming eight hours of sleep, you have five hours left. Devote two to coming home from work and eating, and waking up, eating, going to school. Now we are down to three hours, that's not possibly enough to work out in...

And aren't you supposed to be at work right now?

I'm slacking at work right now. I'm a professional coffee bitch (aka intern).

Forgot to respond. The idea behind this is I've got a shitload of work from class on top of other shit. I was wondering what I can do to get results in an extremely limited amount of time.

Tell me specifics like what I'm supposed to do. Should I just run or is there something else I could do that will actually get better results in less time?

What kind of results do you want? Do you want bigger muscles? Definition? Do you want to run for many miles along moonlit beaches? Do you want to lift a bench full of women above your head with one arm?

I want a lean look, but I don't want to find out under my fat that I'm a scrawny little fuck. I want to lose fat first, then gain muscle second. If I can't manage to fit both I'll just try to lose weight.

need cardio to burn fat. you could tone up easily with push up, dips, crunches, and pull ups in your home.

Working out for 30 minutes is probably better than doing nothing. Is the school gym open at 6:00 am? You can get up earlier and workout before classes start.

Gain muscle first, it'll burn calories.

Cardio for losing weight. If you have a tight schedule, fill gaps with squatz, weights, pullups or squatz etc. Do we really need this many threads for the same purpose? We need a sticky for basic fitness at nutrition questions, for the love of moot.
