It depends on your body. I have always had a good natural recovery rate and I supplement it how I can. I take Cell Mass (yeah yeah) which has a lot of shit in it to help with muscle recovery. I consume a shit ton of protein, which also helps. I take vitamins drink tons of water.
If I feel good the next day and the muscles aren't sore, I've got no problem lifting the same body part again. I might deadlift 5 times a week, do leg press 7 times a week.
The only thing that I cant do 2 days in a row is squats, normally.
But think about it - do people run every day? Yes. Do people do sit ups or push ups every day? Yes. Do people do pull ups everyday? Yeah.
Clearly, lots of people work the same muscle groups day after day. As long as you feel good, you're good to go.
