Weight Programs for Fat Bastards (tm) Anonymous
So i've been a fat bastard since I got to college due to moving to a seriously sedentary lifestyle. But i've been dropping off weight by totally restructuring my life, taking lots of time to really get into the nitty gritty of what I need to eat and how as well as spending 30-60 minutes a day running at a proper HR.

This week is my birthday and I decided to take all the gift money I got and rather than drop it on anything nerdy to buy bench and weights. I'm looking to create a workout for myself but I have honestly no idea how to do it or what to do. Here's my equipment; help and i'll suck your dick:

Bench (pictured)
Door attachment for situps
Mat for doing pushups
100 Lb. weight set (one large bar, two dumbell-bars)
Adjustable dumbell set (2.5-12.5 each)

My apartment gym has treadmills, elipticals and bikes as well as a pool. I usually don't do treadmills because of my totally collapsed arches and twisted ass feet.

First post in /fit/; i'll be sticking around for a long time.

I'm a poor college student and if I REALLY needed one, I could go to our campus gym. I hate going there because of all the pretentious pricks and Greeks. And I can say that as a former Greek, we literally had three of the fraternities doing nothing but roids and lifting all day. One got busted for murder related to drugs and had their house torn down.

Anyways, my point is, I'm not buying more equipment when i've got more than I need already or access to it. I just want to know if anyone has good plans in mind to start or move onto. I'm not so stupid as to not understand 'lift it then put it down' but I just am not sure how to schedule it.

Go to college Gym.

Get barbells, weights. MAKE yourself a padded floor. Cement, wood then a good centimeter or so of rubber padding. a power cage for squats and a bench for chest..

I already have all of that, except for the power cage, which I will probably not be able to afford, ever.

So after looking more at the Stronglifts thing, it seems to revolve totally around squats. Ok; well, I can go to the gym on campus to do the squats but everythingI can do at home i'd rather do at home.

So the entire suggestion of /fit/ is the 5x5 since noone else seems to have any other ideas? Meh; im totally fucked then for now.
