I'm looking to buy a snowboard (decent quality, fairly cheap, etc.). Any recommendations on brands/boards/bindings/boots?

not sure.. I was thinking around 200-300? I'd even consider going used.

Id suggest starting off with a used one cause its just gonna get scratched to fuck anyway.

Burton is always a good choice to go with, kinda pricey though

with only that, you're going to have to buy used..a "decent" snowboard willrun you at least 600...you want something thats nice and light, and really flexible

Yeah I don't mind. I've learned this lesson from paintballing. And that's good to know, I love their designs.

As I previously mentioned I'm fine with buying used, I'm thinking craigslist.

On the flip side I'm 6' even, what size of snowboard would I need?

DO NOT BUY BURTON

their gear, especially their entry level boards, are total crap. You can buy much nicer boards for the money. Look into K2, Salomon, Arbor, Rome, Nitro, and Forum. If you can find a Never Summer board in your price range then jump on it. If 300 is your budget for everything then you are fucked.

Well how much should I be looking to spend on an entry level board along with bindings/boots?

Also I'm 6ft and around 178lbs, any height / width I should be looking for?

you're doing it fucking wrong. that isn't a rage pic.

A decent gear will cost you about 800 - 1200 used.

Also, it depends.

Find yourself a rich spoiled snowboard kid, bitches tend to sell cheap even if it's almost new.

Used to be a ski tech at a resort.

The only busted bindings I saw more often than Lamars were Burtons. Crap gear is crap.
