I've been exercising for the past month to hopefully get on track for a healthier life. I've been doing Isometrics as I hope it would be good for what I needed. Before I started, I was 6'00" 146 lbs. But now, a month later, I'm 150lbs. I also noticed my appetite has been deteriorating for the past couple of weeks, when before i can usually eat every 3-4 hours. So I feel that my metabolism is thus deteriorating as well.

Is this all normal? Should I switch exercising plans? I don't want my metabolism to go down the drain so fast and I don't want to gain any more weight.

Eat 5 meals a day, but much smaller. Also, I don't know of your diet but eat healthy foods. You're body is telling you it doesn't want to continue. You need to keep yourself going and force your body to recognize your new lifestyle.

BTW when I say smaller meals, I mean substantially smaller. Enough to get you to the next meal and that's about it.

That combined with proper exercise will lead to rebuilding and strengthening your metabolism. Don't let a lethargic body defeat you.
