I prefer dumb bell presses, myself. With dumb bells, you can do shit that you can't do with a barbell, like Arnold presses.

if you're a scrawny fuck dumbell presses will work the stabilising muscles too, and they will grow a bit.

if you're not a scrawny fuck, iunno, i think bench presses are better for bulk.

tbh if you're a scrawny fuck any lifting at all is beneficial..

Yeah i'd like to know too. All i have access to is Dumbells. Only down side I see is that you can't put on as much weight. I can only stack on like 80 per dumbell.

dumbbells are excellent to start out, they're even good later on because you can't rely on your strong arm to get you through the exercise

I have wrist problems, they always get weak, I'm training them but in the meantime dbs are easier because I can rotate them slightly. and slightly is all I need most of the time.
