Any of you /fit/ters do the Velocity Diet? On it now? On it before? Any results?

I'm mostly concerned about loss of muscle. Anyone lose strength? Just looking for first hand experience before I jump into this. I'm pretty good at sticking to a plan and figure I could do Velocity for at least 2-3 weeks, aiming for 4.

Any input?

It fucking sucks ass. It's a gimmick. Make sure you don't buy anything from biotest. Any good protein will do. And most of the other stuff is unnecessary, like HOT-ROX, but please find a biotest alternative. I'm sick of hearing about this diet and how great biotest is -.-

I dont intend on buying all the shit listed. I already have lots of protein powder, so I'm sticking with what I have. I also have my own supplementing pills.

Basically I guess what I'm asking is: 1800 calories a day or so from protein powder based drinks - any muscle loss? How does fat loss progress? Negatives? Positives?

I'm somewhat skeptical of it all already, but want to cut 28lbs as soon as possible. I'd love 8 weeks, but I know more "responsible" fat loss would be 14 weeks or so. So I want to use velocity, if it works, to get a jump start and maybe hit my goal around 10 or 11 weeks.

ive got some questions about the velcoity diet. i just read the description of it from the website the OP listed. But if you go on this diet and you are are trying to lose weight down from say 185 to 160 so that you will go from 20% body fay and no 6 pack to 13-15% body fat and ripped. (i work out 5 times a week for 2-3 hours a day.) will this diet accomplish that. will it make me drop like 25 pounds...?

I had my body fat clinically tested by a medical professional on Saturday. It's 22%.

i tested mine last week its at 19% at 183 lbs, and im 5 foot 7. so i look toned but not ripped like i want to look so i figure around 160 and i would look swell. anyway the clinic that did my body fat test was surprised it was that low because for my weight and my height they said it should have been more around 30-35 percent. Does that just mean that im really stocky naturally, because i work out 5 times a week.

Google a "Fat Free Mass Index" and see how much muscle you have.

The guy testing me said I looked like 26% body fat, but was surprised when the math said 22%. My FFMI of 26.4 explained why I looked so big though.

Lots of muscle covered in about 30lbs of extra fat.

k thanks bro i found out that at 180 lbs with 19% body fat at 5'7" i have an ffmi of 23.1 is that good or bad... does that mean if i lost the weight down to around 10-12 percent body fat without losing muscle id be ripped as a mofo?

23.1 is good. An average person who doesnt do much working out is 19. A person who lifts fairly regularly is 22 and 24 is pretty awesome. Steve Reeves (Pro Body Builder, natural) was 25.

Coleman and Cutler are 29 and 30ish.

But yeah, with a FFMI of 23+ you'll look good at 8-12% body fat.

ok so why does my friend who weighs 120 lbs and has a body fat % of 15 have an 8 pack. btw he is 5'2" and benches 220 so is it because for his size he has a ridiculous amount of muscle?
>> anonymous
hey man i just did that ffmi test you said to do and i am height 5'7" with weight of 205 pounds and body fat of 26%. it said my ffmi is 23.9 so that is good but then it said adjusted ffmi which was 23.3, but what is the adjusted ffmi and what does it mean?

His body fat percentage is probably just wrong. To have defined abs you need to be under 11%, closer to 8%
