Two questions /fit/.

1. I used to have really bad acne, but two courses of accutane fixed this. However, as sensitive as my skin is, I still get the occasional pimple. Right now I'm using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and cetaphil lotion with good results. While it's working well, it makes my face get fairly red, so I don't really want to use it once I stop seeing blemishes.

On to my question. I've heard tea tree oil is a great face wash. Direct quote from wikipoodledoo, "In the treatment of moderate acne, topical application of 5% tea tree oil has shown an effect comparable to 5% benzoyl peroxide, albeit with slower onset of action."

Does this mean it will have the same skin drying property and therefore also make my face red? Or will this be a good long term face wash? Any anons have experience with this?

2. My face is a little scarred up from my several year bought with acne. I've seen a few products by acne free that claim to reduce scar visibility. My face doesn't look awful, but it would be really nice if one of these products worked. Anyone know if I should expect anything out of those?

Scarred, or just red marks where the acne used to be?

I still have a few red marks from recent pimples, but I know those will go away. On my temples, cheeks right near my nose, and a little on my forehead I have minor scarring though.
