sup /fit/

So I've been on a strict diet for awhile now and have been dropping weight at a decent rate. I'm not sure how much I've lost since I don't own a scale yet, but from taking a weekly progress pic it's been showing. I think my current weight is somewhere around 215-220ish? (I'm 6', if that helps.)

Here's an outline of a normal days food intake:

Breakfast - Light yogurt - 90 calories (Multivitamin in the morning, too)
Snack - Handful of nuts - 50 calories
Lunch - Either: Salad with balsamic vinaigrette or 4 slices of ham on a single slice of wheat bread - about 200 calories
Snack - Fruit - 150 calories
Dinner - Grilled, skinless chicken breast with either green beans or broccoli - 450 calories
Drinks - Water
Total calories per day average: 940 calories

I know most would burn out on eating the same shit every day, but I've been a creature of habit all my life. I figured giving up shitty food would be the hardest thing ever, but two months later it's still cake. I do worry about how long I'll be able to healthily hold up a 1000ish calorie diet, though.

I had a similar diet for about two months.
Lost around 20 kg's, gained it all back once I resumed normal eating habits.
Made me really tiered by the end of it.
Oh, and I was loosing a fair few strands of hair each day.

tl;dr: eat more protein = loose weight + build muscle

That's a WAY too large calorie deficit, you'll gain all the fat back once you get off the diet, and you'll lose a lot of muscle as well. Try to get your calorie intake at about 500-700 calories below your maintenance level in order to keep your muscle mass and prevent going into starvation mode.

Not enough calories! take it back up to about 1500. You'll still lose weight if you have that much calorie deficeancy :)

Have a bigger breakfast, i reckon.

Eat more.

Honestly diets are stupid unless you plan to keep them permanently. Just eat what you normally do in smaller amounts.

Unless what you normally eat is twinkies and potato chips.

the sooner you start gaining muscle, the easier it will be to lose fat later.

Hang on a second.

YOU FUCKING RETARD.

Okay, got that out of my system. Now pay attention:

-You will starve on <1000 calories a day. Your body is going to go into starvation mode and hang onto the fat even tighter. For your body size you'll need MINIMUM 1700 calories.
-In general, it's better to gain some muscle mass before losing weight. Muscles are constantly active and eat up energy, so your metabolism will rise and help you burn fat.
-Get off this god damn "diet" and change your eating habits for the better. No more soda, no more candy bars, no more greasy shit EVER.
