yesterday at the gym there was an old guy sitting on the leg extension machine. when i started using the leg curl machine, he told me that i should use the extension machine first because of the muscle antagonism and should do 6 reps on each, holding each rep at midpoint for 30 seconds and resting for 1:30 and using 90% of the weight that i used for extensions for the curls.

i did it and dont feel that it was any better or worse.

is old guy teaching me some great wisdom or wasting my time?

he didnt look in exemplary shape. but dude was old.

people in the gym always try to dish out their advice like its gospel. do what you know, say thanks for the tips, but fuck em.

don't become that guy who tells everyone else in the gym how to do their squats, unless they're blatantly about to hurt theirselves.
