so i was excercising at the gym, doing squatz and this fat dude came up to me and began to ask series of questions, then he asked what do i eat to gain weight etc. and when i asked him the same thing he said that fat turns into muscle....
i tried to convince him that thats not how it works, but the stupid cunt didnt even want to listen, he just kept talking his fat!

I see a guy I know from one of my college classes in the gym sometimes.

The dude used to powerlift and his max deadlift was close to 700. I saw him doing some lifts with ridiculous weights. But, he was doing a lot of them on machines.

Also, he was talking about how he's trying to gain weight again so his fat can turn into muscle.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU LEARN HOW TO DEADLIFT 700 POUNDS BUT STILL USE MACHINES AND FAT-INTO-MUSCLE THEORY??

He might be confused with the physiological aspects of it, but the methodology he's using sort of makes sense. He's getting bigger muscle which can then be made stronger, or revealed by lowering bodyfat.

Fat != Muscle.

Fat = Energy

If you spend the energy without adquiring any excesive extra imput from outside sources (food) you spend that "reserve" (fat) in order to compensate. It's not that Fat becomes muscles but, rather, that fat becomes energy for you to spend on exercises which, later, somewhat (not entirely true that it's because of exercise) turns into muscle.
