Hey /fit/.
I weigh like 190 lbs @ 6 feet. I want to lose 40 lbs in 4-5 months. There aren't any gyms near me, and I don't like exercising in public much anyway. Does /fit/ have any diets and exercise plans for me?
tl;dr How 2 lose 40 lbs in 5 months

Janet Jackson recently lost like 50 pounds in 3 months.

Just bust your ass on some simple but long-term cardio. Dance, do jumping jacks, run in place. You can do it.

OP here. in b4 barrel roll.

k well if you don't feel like exercising in public and you are serious

you need to go buy an elliptical or a stationary bike

Put that shit in your fucking BED ROOM and use it for 30 minutes to an hour every fucking day

Only buy lean chicken breasts, beef, fish, turkey. Whole grain bread, though you shouldn't be eating much bread anyway, strictly water and milk to drink.

4-6 meals a day

stick to that and grats on your fat loss, but you aren't going to gain much muscle. which is why I say stick to the bike as you dont like working out in public, dropping 250 on something you are gonna use religiously is a good investment but most people dont spend 5k on buying a whole gym for their livingroom

Yeah, not really looking to gain muscle yet.

150 pounds at 6ft? Do you want to look 8 years old?
>> Jake
What do you mean? I heard that was a healthy weight for someone my height.

jake 190lbs at your height is a solid fit weight. just lift weights man and eat healthy at maintenance

when people say this, it never happens. they just get really skinny and weak, and then slowly put the weight back on

Aren't you more concerned about your composition than your weight?

This.
You will replace your fat with muscle.
I haven't gained or lost a pound in months, but I'm a lot stronger and have more muscle. Therefore, less fat.

I honestly don't have any idea what difference even 10 lbs would make.. Does /fit/ think I should lose less weight? I thought 190 was still overweight for my height.

I'm 190 at 5'10. I might be overweight, but at 10% bodyfat I don't really care what the scale says.

i'm 155lbs and 6'2". I fucking wish i could gain some weight :(

What I'm aiming for is to be comfortable with myself..I hate having this fat roll over itself when I sit down. Not to mention the health benefits. My dad had heart problems when he was alive so I'm worried about my own.

You have to remember there are a lot of lifters on this board, and for a lifter 190 at 6 foot is nothing.

just abit, 170-180 would prolly be more ideal I'm guessing

but regardless if you are overweight and have fat you want to get rid of stick to alot of cardio/hiit daily and be strict with your diet and you'll be there in no time
