Hey all, I'm a skinny guy, but as I'm getting older not working out at all isn't doing much for my health. I can imagine there are hundreds of these threads every week, so if there's copy pasta as an answer that'd be fine.

What pretty simple workout regimen can I do to keep slim and tone my body?

How basic do you want?

REALLY basic = do a few sets of pushups/situps per day, along with some cardio

Or if you mean weight training, look up rippetoes

unless you've read the poliquin principles, beyond bodybuilding, starting strength, the anabolic diet, the german body comp program, supertraining and every article over at the westside website, you shouldn't be starting on steroids.

unless you can put faces to the names of simmons, tate, poliquin, tsatsuoline, siff, zatsiorsky, koan and john, can name at least three mr olympias and know how they trained and can give a brief summary as to why mentzer was a crazy crazy motherfucker, you shouldn't be starting on steroids. you get bonus points if you know about the barbarian brothers.

also, your diet is crap. where the fuck are your fat sources? if your diet is crap, you shouldn't be starting on steroids.

Eat more (not shit either. eat vegetables, fruits, lean meats (fish, poultry)), get plenty of sleep, drink water (and only water) and do burpees.

Look burpees up, and do shitloads of them every day. They'll kick your entire body's ass.

Get a couple 10lb dumbbells and do 100 curls a day and 100 crunches every morning and night.
