HIIT & elliptical Anonymous
Ok yesterday for the first time i tried HIIT training, it knocked the shit out of me.

backstory:

Been doing cardio sessions for about 3 1/2 months now. Went from 280lb to 230lb so far (5'10, 18 years old). Decided i was /fit/ enough to try out HIIT now that i could handle alot of cardio.

I was using an elliptical machine on a lvl 2 resistance out of 5, and managed to go 10 minutes on the basis of 30 seconds jog, 30 seconds sprint. RPM was 60 on jog, and above 80-85 on sprint. I know all elliptical vary, but i was at my max. My throat was extremely dry, my thighs were burning and the sweat was dripping down my face. By the end of it i could barely speak due to trying to catch my breath and it felt great finishing it.

I intend to do 2x 10 min sessions per day, in the morning and afternoon, then ramp it up to 15-25 mins over time and merge that into one sessions and split my week into cardio and weights.

So basically, should i be doing it any differently and is 2x 10-15 min sessions a day "too" much?

Is it possible to do anything remotely like this at home with zero equipment?

on the eliptical i prefer changing the resistance instead of the speed

Skipping/jump rope im told, but i doubt my lower body would take the punishment + i fucking fail at skipping.

I was thinking of that since the faster you go, its like a stone going down hill, the momentum keeps it going. Have you tried speed vs resistance and whats your opinion on each?

i'm pretty sure if you can do it for 10+ minutes, its not HIIT.

Well apparantly im supposed to build it up to 15 mins per session according to every website/forum i've checked.
