If they were cancerous, they would be painless. (hallmark of lymphoma is painless movable lumps)You probably have some kind of acute systemic infection. Some antibiotics out to clear you up.

It's most likely a plain old bacterial infection that got into the lymph fluids. The bumps you feel are actually white blood cells converging on the lymph nodes. I had that happen to me when I was a teenager.

But you never know, it could be something worse. Listen to your doctor.
