The first part of a squat is using the hips, not the butt. You push back with the hips, and then start to sit. As you get lower, your hips push back more, creating pressure on your heels (which is what you want, because you go on your toes, and you're fucked) go to parallel or lower, and then come back up with your back as straight as can be. Remember, keep the chest out, and if you have to, look up at the sky to do that.
Learn the technique first, then lift the weights.
