you should be eating carbs with every meal AND snack. otherwise your body burns muscle instead of fat. your body selects it first if it thnks it's starving. you should have a piece of bread with your tuna, croutons with your salad. not much, but some. i had half a cup of cereal for breakfast with a protein shake and about 20 craisins. i eat about that amount 5 times daily.

I recently had a conversation with a chemist who said in actuallity, despite what some people want to believe, the body does not know the difference. I have never heard a convincing argument making a case that the two are different. I long distance bke ride which require eating at least once an hour while still riding - regular crappy cookies work just as well as fuel as fruit - and maybe better because they are so calorie laden

Carbonation is just going to make you nauseous and bloated.
Fitness drinks like propel are full of calories that if you don't use will just be counter productive.
Also those FUCKYEAHelectrolytesAWESOME that those types of drinks contain are only useful if you're replenishing ones you've lost. Otherwise they sit and accumulate in your liver and can cause serious damage.
