i don't think you can actually learn that. Or, if so, it's really not worth the time. I practiced at it for a couple month, but never made any noticeable progress, except that i can now put my feet behind my head.

Yes, stretch every day. It is good for you. Prevents injury. But in order to see "progress", you need to hold a stretch for at least 1 minute and 30 seconds. That's the time it takes for your muscles to elongate.
