I want a v shaped body, but. I have kinda muscular thighs from snowboarding and skating and also, I think I have a little wider hips than a normal guy. So.

Maybe you just got your bones at the beginning of your legs placed a bit wide.
It's genetic, I got the same problem. Make more squats and pullups (like the poster above said).

Twenty minutes of cardio in the morning before breakfast. Go back and do it again the morning you're not uncomfortably sore anymore. Doesn't have to be all that intense, just keep up a pattern. Weights every other or every third day. Go to the gym and experiment with what feels good - and start at a comfortable weight. More important to start than to sit there thinking about it.
