Is there any real downside to using an EZ Barbell over an Olympic Barbell?

I'm thinking about getting a barbell, but the local shops only have either the EZ Bar or a barbell with 200 pound weight limits.

The form an EZ bar forces wont work your biceps as would a straight grip on an Olympic bar, but the EZ is much easier on your wrists.

Just take a narrow grip and you should be fine, tho.

For just curls, I'd personally say dumbells, just because I preffer hammer curls, just an opinion.

Mix it up, swap it every 3-4 weeks.

Doesn't the EZ Bar give you a better contraction of the bicep as well?

I prefer using the olympic barbell. Who would do squats using a EZ-bar? SQUATS.

EZ bar? What are you, gay?

you need to isolate the bicep to get proportional growth.

The answer to the OP is: Yes.

Use them all. Don't exclude anything from your workout.
