assuming you are getting your PRE-MED as well. its a fine major, even more 'functional' for use in the clinical fields than the more esoteric chem, bio, phys, etc. that are commonly pursued by pre-meds. if you arent pre-med...enjoy working as the only degreed personal trainer @ the gym.
BTW. the degree has usually 0% to do w/sports/training/weights/anaerobic work, simply because thats NOT where the $ is, and the purpose of PhDs is singular, bring in $ with pertinent research+publish.
