About a week ago, I had sex with my gf when unfortunately I believe I may have lost my erection a bit and the condom slipped inside her, I had to literally finger inside her and take it out of her. I had not ejaculated and was nowhere near it, only some precum was in the condom when I took it out and I assume a bit of that got inside her. The only thing is that I had masturbated the night before and I don't think I pee'd or anything afterwards, the precum was a bit bubbly inside the condom, I assume a trace amount of sperm could've been on it. I should also mention we did it maybe 6 days after her last period ended. I'm not all to familiar about menstrual cycles, ovulation, and all that but I hope less than a week after a woman's period isn't an ideal time to conceive a pregnancy.

The next morning, about 20 hours after the incident, I went with her to a health care center where she took a dose of the Plan B, emergency contraceptive pill, she also received normal daily birth control which the doctor told her to begin taking the very next morning.

It's been 5 days since the accident and she's seems fine except today she started experiencing some weird cramps for maybe 15 minutes, which is when I became a lil worried again and decided to ask here.

Sorry, I'm only 18 and I've never been in this situation before and am a bit freaked out.

So let me run down all the factors again.

- Had sex less than a week after last period ended
- Condom slipped fairly deep inside her
- Did not ejaculate, only precum
- Did not pee after a previous ejaculation the night before, possibly some sperm in the precum
- Took Plan B less than 24 hours after the accident

Plan B should be fine.

The cramps could be because of this:
>- Began using daily birth control 2 days after the accident

When my girlfriend just started BC or forgot for a week and started up again it messed around with her body a bit. Doesn't happen with everyone but does with some people.

Protip:
Precum contains trace amounts of sperm in it, regardless of how recently you had ejaculated.
This is why the "pull out" method is not a reliable form of birth control.
>> Anonymous
Best thing to do is just not to stress about it. Stress could delay her period, making you worry even more. Chances are nothing will happen. The chances are really really really small. Just try to relax and wait for the period. If its off cycle or at a weird time, then just get a pregnancy test and hope for the best.
>> PetBot
1. Was the condom lubricated with spermicidal lubricant?
2. Good job on the EC
3. I don't think you should be as worried as you are. Precum does have trace amounts of sperm in it, but it's still a minute amount.
4. A woman is less likely to conceive around her period, but you should never rely on this.
5. I don't think those cramps mean anything.
6. Tell your girlfriend not to worry, as that can delay her period (personal experience lol)
7. James?

Believe me man, I understand. I'm not one of those careless guys that pull any of those tricks, it's either safe sex or no sex for me, I'm not ready to be daddy yet. I just pointed it out cus I wasn't sure about the whole idea that precum can contain no sperm

>>165118

1. Not sure, it was one of those free NYC condoms they give out here, I didn't get them in a box, or package.
2. Thanks I always had it in mind as I'm paranoid about getting her pregnant, we're both to young. I guess you can say we're to young for sex to, but it's mroe something she wants in our relationship than I do. I'm scared to death of pregnancy.
3. By a minute amount, do you believe it's substantial enough to impregnate her, I mean of course it takes just one happy swimmer to seal the deal, but at an average point of view, what do you believe?
4. Once again, I don't do "pull outs", "safe days" non of those tricks, I just hope this is a time she's less likely to release an egg anytime soon.
5. Well it was only for a few minutes so I hope not.
6. To be honest she seems surprisingly calm about the whole situation lol, I'm the one worrying and freaking out.
7. Nope not him, sorry man lol.

You just sound exactly like my ex, sorry. This kind of thing happened a lot (sex without a condom, at risk with precum, etc.) and he got really worried while I was calm. For the record, I never got pregnant.

Well yeah, it's enough to impregnate her, but it's most likely not going to happen. Don't worry about it.

You did all of the right things so you shouldn't be so worried. She took a morning after pill PLUS started birth control. You should be in the clear. Just talk to eachother about it and make sure she's not stressed. Do something fun together (besides sex!) to get your minds off of it. Stress can delay periods and even make a girl skip one. It's happened to me. So just relax.

congratulations OP I'll send you a fathers day card this sunday.

This one is true. Very little chance she's preggers - even if you hadn't taken all of those precautions, you'd probably be fine. Period happens at the end of the fertile time, and it takes a while for a new one to start. Very little sperm.

Plan B jump starts a girls period. Causes a shedding of the uteral lining. So theoretically, she should of had her period.
The cramping is probably a side effect.
There are other side effects too.

Welcome to having sex. I've been with my wife over two years and have had innumerable scares, even though we take all the precautions. Even with just the precum, it is not likely she will get pregnant, and since she took the morning after pill within 24 hours, even if you had dumped your load in her the chances of her getting pregnant are only 10%. Cool it and don't worry. Also, pretty much all signs of period are signs of pregnancy (muscle cramps, sore breasts, headache, etc) which is God's cruel joke, so if she starts to show any of these, don't freak out.

>Plan B jump starts a girls period. Causes a shedding of the uteral lining. So theoretically, she should of had her period.

No it doesn't. Plan B actually suppresses the release of the egg. Sperm hangs around for 3 days waiting for an egg to be released, so that is why the morning after pill has to be taken within 72 hours. If the egg has already been released it's too late but it sounds like he's ok.

Why are there so many stupid people having sex?
>> Anonymous
yes pre ejaculate can contain trace sperm, but urine pretty much wipes them out. probably not 100%, but if you've pissed at least several times since ejaculation then sperm count would be minimal if not NIL.

A woman is only fertile for about 24hours around the middle of her 28day cycle, but sperm can live up to 5 days. When she is fertile vaginal secretion takes on the consistency of egg whites (not to be confused with secretion during arousal). Sooo, an accident 6 days after her period would be risky, but given the circumstances Plan B, starting pills, you should be ok.
Also they aren't supposed to prescribe birth control pills to women would might even be pregnant.

Make sure she knows to take those pills on time everyday. There's only about a 2 hour window before it's considered late. Missing pills at the beginning or end of cycle is most risky since it will prolong the 7 day placebo period.

He doesn't seem to know the details about how babies are actually made, yet here he is having sex and being worried that his partner is pregnant. And he's using (what is probably) shitty birth control.
>> Anonymous
he actually seems pretty inteligent to me for #1 wearing a condom! (thats the big part where most stupid people screw up) #2 when an emergency happened like his condom slipping off they quit the sex and #3 for taking preventive measure like going with his GF to get a morning after pill in the recomended time window.

Hope ur chicks not pregnant man.. good luck

Honestly, how many men know the details of the menstrual cycle? I give this guy props for even knowing what the hell a menstrual cycle is. Seems to me like he's being really responsible about this. At least more responsible than the average male.
>> Anonymous
i know the menstrual cycle fairly well. 10 days befor and after the period is generally considered safe. however sperm can live up to 3 days 7 before and after is better.

i dont like to take chances so i would go 5-6 before and after the period and use condom

What do you do when your partner hasn't had her period in 2+ years? Doctors have said she's healthy and nothing wrong with her (lolwut). Said partner is 19 year old human female.

Its a quadruple dose of birth control. She's not pregnant.

Never use the same condom twice. It rots inside making it more likely to split.

If all else fails, kick her in the stomach.

I think he means he jacked off and went to sleep the woke up and fucked his chick so the little bit that was left 'in the barrel' so to speak came out with the pre-ejaculate.

But he's in luck since the body pushes that little bit out as the muscle tissue in the penis contracts so there shouldn't have been any remnants in the condom, his boxers though? Yeah.

I am a doctor and I can tell you right now theres a 99% chance that she is pregnant so.. enjoy your child/abortion

Kinesiologist here.

She's pregnant, but only because I fucked her condomless after you were done and weren't looking. Also, AIDS.

OP, after a woman has her period, you are safe for at least a week, and usually more. A period is a sign that not only is the unfertilized and dead egg going out, but also, the lining of her uterus, which is also essential in getting pregnant. Until she begins ovulation, you cannot get her pregnant. Sperm can only live within the vagina for a short period of time, due to the acidity of the vagina. If you said that her period was 2.5 weeks ago, I would say, get a coat hanger.

>>165625

Women are disgusting creatures.
>> Anonymous
Morning after pill means no pregers, she probably wont have her period as the normal pill stops it happening, so dont worry about that. Cramps are probably random, if she keeps having them, it might be best to try a different make of pill - some women get probelms on some types - ask your GP.
>> Anonymous
OP here, my GF wants to have sex again some time this week. I'm scared lol. Do you think it's okay after all this, and now that she's on the pill? And I definitely won't be using those cheap NYC Condoms no more. To be honest the time the accident happened when I put on the condom I though it felt a bit wierd, like a bit to slippery and thick but I figured it was okay and I was just over analyzing. I'm shellin out for the good old Trojan Man from now on heh.

>>165404
I live and I learn man, right. Like I said maybe you can say I'm still to young, though she is more enthused about sex at our age than I am. I feel paranoid, like no matter what there's always a possibility something can go wrong. I'm scared of her getting pregnant but I love her to death and I'm just trying to man up and do what I have to do to protect her (and me lol cus her family hates me and mine ain't takin care of no babies) but I'll stick around and support her no matter what. And you say shitty birth control, but if I'm not mistaken Plan B is the only official brand of ECP on the market.

I feel a bit more educated and confident now thanks to this thread and the peace of mind has really calmed me down, though I will stay on my toes about the situation.

>>165629
I'll keep that in mind, though I'm gonna be scared out my ass if she don't have her period, so I hope this isn't the case and she just has it and I can finally just take a deep breath and feel relieved lol.

ok here's the deal

you shouldnt be worried about her being pregnant. there is a very small chance that she could have become pregnant, but the plan b should have taken care of that. if that's the last time youve had sex with her, then you are in the clear.

however she should not have started taking birth control right away. her dr/pharmacist should have told her to not commence until after her next period. after taking plan b, your period will usually get fucked up anyway (which may be cause for the cramping she is/was experiencing - it could also just be a side effect of the birth control she started), and starting on birth control will throw it out further.

also note that she will not be covered for the first month (since she started taking it mid-cycle), so use other protection until her cycle has settled down.

tl;dr - she's not pregnant but wrap it up til she bleeds next
