When I lighting weight should I keep my heart rate up?
Right now usually each set I take like a 3 minutes break.

I am not sure what a well light weight set does for you but I am sure that turning the lights on and off earns a 3 min break. Prehaps your fat ass is doomed just start lighting a 6 foot hole.

if your trying to at weight you need to eat lots of complex carbs ie 3 bowls of oatmeal a day. Also when your done lighting your weights you could lift them but you are correct in taking the break if you dont want any cardo becasue you burn to many cals. 3 min breaks sounds fine just make sure your getting the complex carbs and the protein to at mass.

3 minute breaks seem too short to me, mine are 15 seconds to 30 seconds. With shorter breaks you get tired much more quickly, however the intensity of the workout is obviously a lot higher on your muscles.
