WHAT THE FUCK?

I just tried to do a one arm push-up, but I fucking couldn't! It was fucking impossible. I can do regulars about 50, but with one arm fucking 0.

What the fuck? Advice please!

Going from two arm push ups to one arm is obviously going to be difficult. You're doubling, maybe even tripling the amount of weight. Not to mention you're using alot more muscles than you would with a normal press up.

Look into Pavel's Grease The Groove technique. "The Naked Warrior" book deals with one arm pressups and one leg squats solely so its good.

do a regular pushup but try and get all the weight that you can handle onto one arm, only using the other to support and help. eventually if you keep doing this you won't need the support arm anymore. but remember to do it with both arms

Too true, I don't often do push-ups, however I've only recently gotten back into them. I can do about 100 with my feet on an elevated surface making my body flat or higher than my head. But doing one-handed, I can only manage 3 and the third is sloppy as hell.

I'm not OP but would explosive push-ups be better to work on before you move into one-armed push ups?

I'd advice mixing the two.
Explosive press ups with one armed press ups.

Now that you can do three, you should find getting up to ten reletively easy. After that, prograss may slow. But ultimately, how many you should be aiming for depends on your goals.
