think it'd be possible to get rid of this gut/mantits come christmas /fit?

I know everyone is different and all that but assume I'm eating completely clean till then and doing a 5 day split that kicks my ass every day

so far I'm 165 lbs down from 200+ and I really want to start bulking soon and I can't start just yet since I've come this far with the 1 goal in mind to get rid of my fat so I can monitor my progress via the mirror however awful it looks beneath the fat


that and faggots keep saying shit like "youre too thin" "don't be anorexic now ok?"

u know, you can do it but something tells you cant accomplish your dreams.
What i did was that I took my workout that kicked my ass and I topped it even when I couldn't move, I got up and it gives me confidence everyday, to say that I can do what ever I want aslong as I believe in me.

Gaining muscle mass and maintaining mild cardio through your workout routines will help to carve your shit up.

I'm not sure what kind of routine you do but 5 days splits are always good. Remember that you will get more done if you keep your lifts at 60-75% of your max strength for reps, as the body has a higher hypertrophic response in this exertion range.

Maxing out is pointless if you want to shape up and leads to greater fatigue.

What kind of rep/split do you do?
I would recommend a 15/12/10/8 or 12/10/8/6 for heavy days.

though my physical therapist told me I should incorporate my shoulder day w/ my chest day and don't any presses or shrugz

and I usually do 3x15 so 15,12,10 or sometimes 12,10,8

also thanks i'll do that, usually I max out and give it my all every time I lift since i was so used to a 5x5, which im guessing is why i was so dead at the end of the week

That sounds like a great split to me.
Well, your therapist might be considering a synergistic approach toward chest and shoulder development since chest incorporates anterior (front) deltoids. One thing this will help accomplish is the connection between upper chest and anterior deltoid, which looks very nice.

The 15,12,10 for strength days and 12,10,8 for power would be good. I remember reading in a medical journal during my clinicals that the 4 set workout is supposed to provide the most results but there were so many variables that it's really hard to tune it toward the individual. Do what you feel comfortable with and what makes you feel like you have really worked.

As long as you are not getting too sore or feeling your body break down keep doing your max out at the end of the workouts as well, that is where the gains come in.

Also, remember your negative rep (letting the weight drop and the muscles stretch) is where the hypertrophy comes in, so keep things in control and slow.
