Hey, /fit/.

I've kind of got a problem. I'm fat. Mom says I'm big-boned, and I don't care how well (well meaning 'big')-built Ukrainians are, I know I'm fat. 5'10" and 240. HUEG LIKE N XBOX.

As far as exercise goes, Two days a week I do kung-fu classes. I'm looking into Karate or Muay-Thai for the other two. My diet consists of... well, my diet is utterly shitty. I keep forgetting to eat, so it's usually "Hey, I'm hungry", and I'm off to Burger King or making myself cheese sandwhiches. Fucking sick, I know.

Sometimes my landlady reminds me to eat, usually with Hamburger Helper or soup.

I'm looking for advice for how/what to eat.

Do you do any strength training? Even a little alternating calisthenics routine would be good. As you lose weight you want to add healthy lean muscle too. That will increase your metabolism and make you look better.

OK. Don't do the hamburger helper anymore, and don't do fast food at all, ever again. I'm a skinny guy and I have the remembering to eat problem too. Basically you have to keep it on your mind consistently for a long time. You will have periods of success and failure, but you will train yourself to remember to eat. It helps a lot to spend a bit of time reading about nutrition each week. You should start a food journal too. Record everything you eat for a few months.

Lean meats! Vegetables and fruits. Oatmeal. Water. Fruit juices. VEGETABLES. Some dairy.
