So this is me /fit/

i'm 20 years old, height almost 6 feets (when correctly standing up) and weight 160 lbs.

i've been getting fatter and fatter over the last year and i completely had it with all these jelly rolls.

as you can see. i don't know squad about anything about fitness and health so i would really like to know some routines to reduce the fat in my body and increase JUST A TINY LITTLE BIT of muscular mass, specially in my arms and abs.

oh, and some posture advices would be nice to, you can tell i look kind of a troll with my regular posture

thanks in advance

What's with all these people on this board not wanting any muscle? I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want any visible muscle tone.

I can understand not wanting to look like Jay Cutler, but that takes years upon years of extremely intense hardcore weight training, and you'll never get there.

Dude, I know right? What are these guys trying to do with this "lean skinny" thing? It doesn't seem healthy to me and its going to hinder them in the long run for not weight training (Believe me, I was a huge fatty and didn't weight train, only cardio, the skin was/is hell.) Are they trying to attract scene girls? guys? Trying to look like animu people? Do they want to be the little girl? I just don't get it. Put some muscle on man, the real women like it.

in b4 RAAAAAAGE.

Try this beginning workout twice a week. Buy a set of spin-lock dumbbells and some weight plates, at least 80lbs worth.

Warm up for each exercise first by doing 3-5 quick ones of each.

Push-ups - As many as you can do with GOOD FORM. Four seconds down, four seconds up. If you're reaching failure (can't keep good form) before you get 10 or more, do negatives until you can no longer control your downward motion. Do these to failure.

This may sound mean, but I'm guessing you can't do at least eight good (4/4) chin-ups/pull-ups; not everyone has a chin-up bar anyways. Welcome to the world of the bench row:

Do one GOOD set (again, 4/4).

Next, the dumbbell squat.

http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/DBSquat.html

One GOOD set.

Crunches. 10-20; keep your feet close to you, and spread your knees.

Try this for two weeks; eat healthy, and consume about a gram of protein per kilogram of body mass.

you are either lying about your weight, or height.
you can't be 160 pds, 6 ft. and not look skinny or atleast average.

Right. There's not a person on Earth who doesn't find a muscular build sexy, no matter what they say. It means good health and it's a sign that you're capable of taking control of your own body.

I'm not trying to insult anyone, or put down anyone's lifestyle, but I really don't get it..

jump rope and run

and then power exercises with push ups, situps/twists with pull ups throw in

that should be good for a base i think

It's because they don't know any better, and the only public persons they see who are weight lifters are bodybuilders who look like steroidal freaks.

They're here for advice; let's give it to them without the commentary.

Oh, and run on opposite days (weight train T, TH; run M, W, F). At least 15 minutes at a maintainable pace.

Fat is less dense than muscle.

You're right, I'm sorry. I lost myself for a second there; too much time on /b/. I'll let you guys handle this one, though, because I can't contain my RAAAAAGE properly today.

It's all good. Try some yoga to calm down. Or masturbate. Either one works fine.

OP here:

dunno, and to be honest, i don't care, i liked my body the way it was before and i'm trying to recover it, but yeah, you could say i'm trying to find an specific kind of girl, is that bad?

>>34926
that seems hard, but i'll try it, thanks
>>34927
i don't think so, i live in Mexico and i tried to make an equivalence of my weight and height, my metric measures are 1.80 m. (ALMOST 6 feets) and 73-75 kg, that is also around 160-165 lbs
>>34929

Heres what youre going to do and youre not going to like it.

Youre not going to instantly become the body type you want.

Cut down a good majority of bodyfat. You want to LOOK like you're 160lbs (just on the upper threshold of skinny for 6ft)

My guess is you'll end up weighing around 140-150lbs. (this is with an estimated 20% body fat)

This is skinny as shit. You dont want this.

Then, after cutting a bunch of weight, you're going to go and do some weight lifting, and properly bulk up. Within a year, possibly, you'll be the same weight, but far better looking. You may even make it to 170lbs.

Thats what my plan would be anyway.

This is me today 3/5/08
My work out consist of:
Doing crunches and situps.
Doing squats weith weight
Doing 21 lifts (7 lower arm, 7 middle arm, and then 7 all the way from down to top).
Using bench to work out my triceps (free weight bar)
Doing lifts with single arm (I tied 2 10 pound weights together, it adds to instability and causes more strain).
Also I stopped drinking ALL soda, all chips, all the garbage. I'm eating salads/grilled steaks/lean sandwiches with no dressing crap. Drinking PLENTY of water.

Also I'm 6" and last time I weighed I was about 180 pounds. However I don't have a weight thing at home so I have no idea how much I weight now. Note that YOU MUST DO THIS continuously. Micro tears must be formed at a constant rate for your body to drop the pounds. Seriously deticate yourself to it. What I did was print out a calendar, and put a picture of huge moobs on top to keep me motivated.
