with the amount of excercise you're doing, you're not eating enough. i'm not a troll, you're body needs more nutrients when you're doing that much cardio and weight-training. look up starvation mode. thats when your body can't find the calories it needs to support your exertion, it starts lowering your metabolism and eating your lean-muscle tissue, the very tissue that burns fat.

you're damaging your metabolism. I don't mean go out and pigout at mcdonalds and eat 10 big macs. you need to find your BMR, the minimum amount of calories your body needs to survive, just on your weight alone, then account into that the excercise you're doing, then eat good food, be very careful with your calorie count.

1500 is way too low, just from that number, most people need around 2000 calories to maintain BMR. 1500 alone without excercise is going to start starvation mode, unless you're already anorexic thin.

Balls. If I go to 2000 I start getting fat again. even with that excersise, tried and tested but you dont go into starvation mode above 1200 calories.

try a ketogenic diet. you may be sensitive to carbs, which could be the reason why you gain weight at 2k calories.

Your metabolism is fucked. Eat more and keep exercising.

Oh fuck no. Seems that during my weight loss exploits I have now developed a deep fear of anything with to do with "high fat" and also anything telling me to "eat moar". I will never be 300lbs again goddamn, I don't care if my stomach falls out.

Corroborating other posters here. If you're maintaining weight on carbs, then replace them with healthy fats and proteins.

You can stay at 1,500 cals if you must, but you might want to lower your cardio routine (read http://www.elitefts.com/documents/aerobic_fallacy.htm for an interesting look at cardio), increase lifting routine, and then INCREASE FOOD INTAKE IF YOU DON'T SEE GAINS.

Can someone explain what exactly are "good fats" for a high protein, low carb diet? Seen a few people suggesting nuts, peanut butter etc..

Information on the subject is appreciated as i do my fair share of helping people out here.
>> Lil Dreamer !UYwMl8CsAs
>>146699
omega 3, fish oil, flaxseed
>>
>>146699
OP here, just been reading up on this, apparently if a fat is liquid at room temperature it's likely to be unsaturated which is the good type. nuts and peanut butter are good as well as oily fish. you could also take a look at this hugely uninformative quiz if you have time to waste.

Stupid question, would tablets suffice?

Eat 6 times a day. Split it into 6 smaller meals, my suggestion is breakfast, snack on the way to whatever you do, lunch, mid afternoon snack, dinner, after dinner snack. Notice snack does not mean cake, my snack right now is a banana and a protein shake. Eating more does not mean increase your intake.

one really awesome way to get your good fats in one gulp is to mix 2 tbsp of peanut butter and a tbsp of olive oil with a protein shake in water. it's yummy and healthy.

>>146708
Yes but would you rather eat fresh fish or a pill? Also, I say yes, but it's obviously not going to be as good as the real thing.
>> Lil Dreamer !UYwMl8CsAs
>>146708
they should, as long as you follow the daily recommended dosages.

Im not a fan of fish, but i eat it. Its mainly because i am on a protein based meal replacement formula so i only get 1 solid meal a day and a few snacks in between to get my 6 small meals a day. I prefer lean meats over fish, so i dont normally eat fish most nights.

Thanks.
