Ok heres the situation, I am 18, student living with parents.(britfag)
I plan on buying a olympic barbell and can't decide whether to get a press rack or a power cage, when I leave my parents I will be upgrading to elitfs power rack (when money is less of an issue)
pros for power cage
Chin up bar with high weight capacity
Dip bars
Adjustable for bench press at different heights
cooollll brah
cons
Costs more
Read review of powertec rack that said it was difficult to squat in (size wise)
No standing ohp
Awkward to remove bar

Pros for Press rack
Cheaper

cool story bro? You didn't ask a question or anything...

I assume you want opinions on the two:

you don't need a rack for bench press
you can OHP with a powercage... you can set the barbell holders to be on the outside

dip bars on a powercage? wat
difficult to squat in? again, wat.

go for the powercage for the chinup/pullup bars

>you can OHP with a powercage... you can set the barbell holders to be on the outside
but what if I drop it?
>dip bars on a powercage? wat
it'd be a powertec one, it has dip bars which slot on the spotters, 400 lbs capacity.
>difficult to squat in? again, wat.
this was actually my biggest worry, I read a review on the rack I wanted to buy and it said if you were taller than average it felt a bit cramped and awkward inside the rack

yeah I just wanted to sort my ideas out and see what other people thought.
