sup /fit/
I got 3 simple questions.

1. Why does it hurt my back more than my abs when I do crunches? Are my back muscles really that bad? Or could it be something else?

2. I want to know about these "rowing machines" (Don't know what they're called, see pic.) First, what muscles do they work on the most? What exactly do I "get" from them? Strenght, muscles or just get into good shape?

3. Does /fit/ know anything about posture? I hate having bad posture, especially when sitting, so I was wondering if there are any good exercices to help that. And also wondering what kind of chair I should use while on the computer because I use it alot.

Thanks!

1. don't bend your back. move your shoulders up and not your head forward.
2. they work your back (shoulders, lats, lower back) and your legs.

Back and shoulder excercises will help you in point 3, and possibly 1. Are you doing crunches because you work out at home, or as part of a program at the gym?

I don't know anything about rowing machines since I don't use them (recovering from a knee operation).

Thanks for replying but still about question 2. I have something to say regarding>>159991's response. Thing about this machine is it makes my arm really strained and almost numb... No other workout on any machine does this to my arms just this one... The wierd numbness is around there the elbow is, just on the other side of the arm.

It really works just my arms, nothing else feels strained...

Hope I'm not doing that exercise wrong too.
