Fit, I'm unmotivated... Anonymous
First things first, I'm not a fat/fitfag, I'm in decent shape. I've been keeping up lifting and cardio for the past six months, yet lately I seem to have absolute zero motivation to workout.
Post some pictures or quotes or words of wisdom to get me off my ass

Words of wisdom, from the little green guy

You know what.

Nothing. If you don't want to try for a goal then just don't.

I've said this before, but apparently you weren't around for it.
What you should do, starting now is take at least week off from any type of work out. No lifting, running, jogging, swimming, NOT EVEN a casual pick up game of basketball. Just go through your normal motions of every day buisness (school, work, watching t.v. what ever) and just avoid physical activity. Keep your diet relatively normal, minus any suppliments, or shakes. Then when Sunday comes around watch football, baseball what ever sport you're in to. Just loaf around the whole day, and here's the most important part. EAT A SHIT TON OF FOOD, EVERYTHING THAT IS BAD FOR YOU. Order pizza, buy chips, drink soda, eat McDonald's for breakfast, and end your day with as much Ben&Jerry's ice cream as you can cram down your throat and then eat more right before you go to sleep. Make sure your calorie intake for that Sunday is at least 3 times as much as usual. EAT EVERYTHING!
The next day Monday you'll feel soo shitty, that you can't wait to get your ass back in the gym. You'll have a new found appreciation for how the GYM made you feel after an awesome work out, and how much better your health is with the GYM. Good luck, have fun!

Yoshi, that's got to be the worst motivation I've ever heard of...
"Hey, to make yourself motivated again, make yourself fat!"
>> Anonymous
Seriously dude, don't even fucking think about it. Just do it. afterwards, concentrate on the exercise euphoria and think about how you would of felt if you hadn't worked out and at a pizza or something

A week of non-activity will give your body substantial time to full recover it self from the every day grind from the gym both mentally, and physicall.
He/she said that they were completely unmotivated, so I offered a solution. Not just some picture of quote.
We all deserve a day off, and you know DAMN WELL one day won't ruin your self.

But if you want a quote here's what I say at the gym to people that look at me funny when clean and jerk. "Fuck bicep curls, mother fuckers I don't train to just look strong, I train to be strong!"
and "Shut up and squat"

And if you didn't like my first solution to which I was trying to be nice, WELL FUCK YOU, sorry ass fucking bitch. Don't come around /fit/ with your unmotivated emo ass begging for some motivation you lazy sack of shit, instead take your sorry ass to the gym and lift everything in sight, or go hang your self you sorry excuse for a human being. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST, BITCH.

Have a nice day ^_^

Thanks for that. The guy in this photo is built just like me. I mean, I'm 15 lbs fatter and have maybe 10 lbs less muscle, but we have the same frame and muscle shapes. I've always wondered as I improve, would I turn out to have wonky round pecs, or disproportionately large shoulders? My fears are allayed. I can now grow in peace.

To motivate me I think about how people always think Americans are fat and lazy and how I don't want to be looked at as a fat American.

problems with motivation is something we all face, but what seperates the quitters, the sad fucks, the guy who ends up watching the game on tv instead of partisipating in it while all the time drowning his failed hopes and distant dreams in beer is the ability to push through it. The ability to finnish when every single muscle in your body is screaming for rest, knowing full well that there is no glamour in it, no great payoff at the end. The drive and will to do it is in us all, but few end up finding it. Look inside yourself, decide if you want to be one of the few or one of the masses and then just fucking do it.
