Nutrition question, /fit/
I swim for about an hour and half a day...3000-5000 meters, depending on my workout. Thing is, I go to the pool within half an hour of waking up. So, I know carbs are good for energy, but everyone website tells me I should get all my carbs before my workout in the morning. Not ganna happen, I'm way too tired to think about making/getting breakfast....

My question is, can I just eat my carb foods at night before I go to bed? Or hell, any time of the day? Or will they all just go to waste? I'm trying to mainly lose body fat and gain lean muscle here.

Eating before bed won't help. If you sleep at least six hours, all of that energy is going to be gone by the time you wake up.

I don't see why you can't just eat some high fiber cereal or granola in the morning. Doesn't exactly require a professional chef, you know?

Note that he says he goes to the pool within half an hour of waking up. You can hardly digest a thing in that time and swimming is the worst thing to do with a full stomach.

no. i would eat the night before. or postpone my swimming until at least two hours so that my body can process the energy.

i personally go running on an empty stomach. i found that i dont fatigue as easily and i have not once gotten a stitch since running on empty.
