Okay /fit/, I'm a big fat load with no strength or stamina. I originally weighed 277 pounds, now 3.5ish months later I'm at 233. Far from any sane goal, but its progress at least.

Here's the issue: I'm aware more exercise will help sculpt in the long run, but at the moment 99% of the fat I'm losing is from my face, chest, and arms, leaving me with super fat hippo legs and a slimming upper body.

Complication: I've been stationary biking (with 60 pounds of added weights combined on my legs, arms, and back) as 99% of my exercise.

wtf is wrong with me?

Nothing is wrong, the first place you gain is always the last place you loose. Barring lipo you can't ever control where the fat comes off of unfortunately.

OP here, basically my father had a heart attack, and he's lighter than me (still overweight, but all of my grandparents have had heart issues as well), so I decided to trim up as best I can (for a hopelessly out of shape fatguy).

ATM what i've started within the last 2 weeks beyond just cutting down on food is:
* 6 miles on bike max resistance +60 lbs weight.
* 15 lunges
* 15 curls (15 lbs, really low but all i have without using my ghetto method of filling a water jug with sand and using that)
* 15 squats
* 8-10 push ups (oh god i'm so weak)
* Repeat non-bike shit.
* 6 miles on bike max resistance +60 lbs weight.
* Freezing shower to wash the failure off.

Is this bound to get any notable results? I must admit even as I cut down on food I am hopelessly addicted to chugging orange juice, and that's gotta be a lot of calories.

Just replace it with water, orange juice generally has around 100-170 calories per cup depending on the brand, so it adds up quickly.

chugging water gets addicting after a few days. Least it did for me.

same for me. I drink a TON of water now. I used to drink a ton of soda, but now for every soda i'd normally drink, i drink twice as much water. and maybe a couple vitamin waters a week just so it tastes good.

wait i dont understand the point of adding weight to urself on a STATIONARY bike, i understand it may be slightly harder to lift your legs up, but it cant really do much damage unless your standing and peddling

You're bullshitting. All I have to do to lose weight is not drink mountain dew for a couple days and ride my bike as usual. If you REALLY did that shit you'd be fucking ripped and you know it.

You're fat and sitting online trying to get yourself pumped for a failure session that won't ever begin. You'll wake up at 12 noon tomorrow thinking "Better check my email" like every other morning.

Save yourself the fucking mental torture man. Stop eating shitty stuff, and try hiking. It's a pain in the dick before you get leg muscles up but it's dandy once you're set to it.

People make too fucking big a deal over losing and gaining weight. It's NOT a long process, it happens in a fucking month, god damn.

Thirding this. Hiked over 11 miles in the past two days and enjoy it more than any other form of exercise.

Fourthing this. I used to be 248lbs, now I'm down to ~190. Hiking is fucking awesome. I started out small, y'know, walks around the block a few times. I started jogging throughout the route, 1 min. here, 3 mins there, until I could eventually run the entire distance. After I had built some leg muscles I started hiking as well. Fuck, I went 15 miles one day "just to see how far I could go." It'll take time no doubt, but you'll find something that works for you.

Just came back from my morning bike ride, decided to browse fit to pass the time before work... mother of god, OP... I started my FUCK I NEED TO GET IN SHAPE grind back in May (about 3.5 months ago) weighing 278.4lbs and my weigh in yesterday was 229.8lbs (yeah, still fat as fuck, but getting "there")... FUCKING UNCANNY!

Here I started getting skinny as fuck arms, and some from my face (would like more thou), legs and gut slimmed down a bit but not as much as I'd like (but yeah, still 230lbs here, so gotta keep at it, keep at it!)

But yeah, if you frequent /fit/ you'll find quite a few fatties here getting help and (more often than you'd think) encouragement (4chan lol). Keep it up, keep it up OP (yes, the Wiifit is me).
