Ok heres the deal. and im serious on here. You wanna lose weight and keep it off, and you dont even need to work out? Then look at the nutritional facts on everything you eat. even restraunt websites have there facts on line. Guide lines are for a male:30g fat, 1800 cal. for a woman: 20g fat, 1300 cal. and there different because a mans matabolisim is different than a womans. Website thats a must read is http://www.tucsonmedical.com/pages/weight_loss_faq.php Go to the bottom of the page and read there 3 documents they got there. SERIOUSLY ive lost 30 pounds, and my wife has lost 40... and it took about 3 months. Free good advice, if your really intested in loosing, do this.

Read that FAQ, all your questions will be answered there. Though I will dare to say this: The reason those diets and programs didn't work has little to do with the diets and programs, and most everything to do with your will power and especially your willingness to stick with a lifestyle change.

Stop drinking soda, stop eating sweets, stop eating large amount of carbs, Cut out the junk food, drink only water, stop the diary.

Snack on veggies and fruits, no dressings. Cook your own meals.

To lose some weight (talking about the work out phase) Check out gymjones.com, very intense, very hard but very worth it. Obviously don't start out with the weight they are using, but work your way up. They vary their workouts daily so keep checking.

Link to the workouts? I've found a few videos and articles, but nothing like what you're talking about.
