Sup /fit/, been lurking for only about a week, so be gentle... fat /v/irgin here with some questions.

I'm not gonna sugar coat it. I'm a big fat fuck.

24y/o male, 5'7", and a month ago 278lbs, because a month ago I got WiiFit and said, fuck it, I gotta get in shape. Trashed my old diet (eating fast food at least 10 meals a week) and started on the "almost starve yourself 1200 ~ 1500 a day diet" eating Lean Cusines and Healthy Choice meals (and fast food salads and 6g fat subway sandwiches)... I can't cook, obviously.

Also I've been doing 30 mins of WiiFit-ercizes a day (just the strength and yoga... their aerobics don't to squat for me), I also go bike riding for another 30 mins a day (a 2 mile course), or on uber hot days doing a 30 mins of DDR Workout mode (the calorie counter clocks in 300 ~ 350 calories... however accurate that is) So here it is 24 days later and I'm 259lbs (lost 19lbs in 24 days). My sister, a physical therapist, says it's not healthy (and a quick Google search agrees).

So here I am, freaking out (I watch too much House btw) and afraid I'm about to start puking blood any day now. How do I corrected diet and exercise /fit/?

... also I don't thi~nk I've hit a "rebound" where I MUST EAT BLARG (I guess I have ok will power... on Fridays I do treat myself to a McDonalds 4 piece nuggets kids meal... with the fries... yeah, I know I should do apple dippers, but one small fries a week keeps the fast food craving at bay for another week), but I should mention I am fucking addicted to Crystal Lite now.

A portion of what you lost is water, so no worries there. You don't need to crash diet, you just need to eat sensibly and not load yourself full of poisons and fat (such as fast food). Go learn to cook and read a book on nutrition - not a diet book like atkin's, a real book about what your body needs.

stop freaking out. Your ideal weight according to a random calculator (http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm) is around 160. at 2 lbs per week you'll be there in a year, and with all the exercise you'll do in that time you'll be a ripped 160, so just think of it as "3 times a week until you get laid by a gym bunny".

No problems here op. You really arent working out that hard, its probably about right. Dont take the calories too low, however.

Lern 2 cook, however, and skip the DDR. There is much better cardio you can be doing, riding a stationary bike while watching DVDS, for example.

Go buy some of this and start eating it on sandwiches; whole wheat bread, no jam. Drink some skim milk with it. Eat some oatmeal for breakfast (quaker oats Weight Control brand is awesome, next to no sugar and excellent tastes).

Also, up your calorie intake. You're starving yourself to death. If you eat whole grains, high fats (GOOD fats from nuts, fish, etc) you'll be fine. Bring your calories to 2000-2500. You'll still see the weight fall off if you keep up the cardio, and you'll have more energy.

Try to opt out of your fries you have once a week for some nuts or seeds. One small serving of McDonalds fries is like... 500 calories, and one bag of sunflower seeds or peanuts or any other nut you like is about the same, depending on the size. You get more with the nuts/seeds than you do with the fries, plus it's a lot healthier.

You should probably man-up and start trying to cook for yourself. Simple meals like salmon cooked on the stovetop with some boiled veggies like kale or broccoli will do wonders. While those frozen and microwave meals are alot better than fast foods, they're still no match for freshly prepared foods.

Rape her and tell her to stfu. People with alot of weight to lose tend to lose a shitload in the first month, which a good amount is from water and other shit in your body.

Throw Wii fit out of your routine, its an overpriced power point presentation, remote controlled set of bathroom scales, it does fuck all for weight loss. By all means use it for tracking weight loss, but do not think for one second that 30 mins on it halfassing it playing games will lose the weight.

Sorry, OP, but there's only about a 5% chance that you WON'T up with saggy, dimple ridden flesh sacks all over your body (stomach, arms, legs, near your man tits) simply because you've been obese for more than half your life and your skin is pretty much fucked.

Yeah, it'll SLOWLY fix itself, but probably won't ever be normal looking without surgery. Also, those stretchmarks are there forever.

Usually your skin can go from large to small, but not multiple times. Stretch marks will fade pretty well on most people, also.

Fade, yes, but there will always be silvery little groove looking things and people will notice.

And loose skin is more about how long you've been fat. Honestly, skin is very adaptable and there are women out there who have given birth 3 different times and don't have it, it's usually the people who have been fat for their entire life that get loose skin because their just plain LOST its elasticity from being stretched out for that long.

Results may vary, but statistics aren't in OP's favor. Some people argue that loose skin is really just filled with fat still and can be worked off, but that's mostly bull. I've seen 150 pound people with 10% body fat who still have loose skin.

I really don't mind any sagging flesh, mostly because yes, I am a true 24 year old /v/irgin virgin. I've already accepted the fact that I will die alone (/v/ SO RONERY threads, check them out sometime) so I don't care what I look like under a t-shirt (fat geek or skinny geek is still geek), I just wanna be in shape for my own health's sake.

This is kinda why I like DDR better, you have a set goal to achieve, with bike riding I'm like "a nice day for a ride" but I never really push myself like DDR "OMFG I'M IN THE RED ZONE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-LET'S KICK IT UP A NOTCH!!" but I'll work on it.

Yeah, I can try some healthy cooking (the only thing I know how to cook is like... betty crocker cookies or cakes of whatever with add one egg add a tsp of water kinda stuff), I don't even know how to use a skillet or whatever, but yeah, I wanna try it out now.
