What's up /fit/? I've been working out for a while now and I'm wondering, am I supposed to feel any pain or are my muscles supposed to be sore after a really heavy train? I'm training to gain some weight so I always try to lift heavy weights/do few repetitions. Am I going too soft because I don't feel anything when I get home from the gym?

How do you feel the next day?

"Supposed to" isn't the right phrase. Just because you don't feel sore after a workout doesn't mean you didn't work hard.

I just did a bunch of heavy squatting work and the only thing that feels sore are my hamstrings. Not really my quads or anything else, even though it was a very good workout. So don't worry about it, just keep hitting that heavy shit.

OP here: sometimes I feel a little pain, most of the times I don't.

I'm not positive on this, but it looks like the point is to raise your heel up. When you wear a shoe with a raised heel it helps you keep your heels grounded which makes for a better, deeper squat.

I wouldn't imagine that would mess up your form though... try it again and keep your back arched.
