But the fact that most people can't do ab rollouts from standing to full extension shows that there is little adaptation for this skill. So it's effective until it becomes too easy. Then you add a vest or whatever.
On the subject of ab exercises, I find the weight of my legs is more than enough for hanging leg raises, dragonflags, L-sits, etc.
