So, for the last 2 weeks or so, I've been having throat issues, where it hurt near the base of my throat, and pressure of any kind (yawning, sneezing, swallowing) had a tendency to hurt it. The pain was sharp.Today I was sitting here with water in my mouth and when I swallowed there was a pop on the left side of my throat resulting in some serious pain. Just to the left of the adam's apple. I've checked through alot of information and pretty much ruled out cancer, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.
it's probably a pus filled cyst. It's most likely nothing serious. It's good that you popped it though if it was.If you can, I'd recommend swinging by a doctor's office just to check that it's not some kind of inflammation, or a lymph node issue. They're treatable, but a bitch to deal with unnecessarily .
Thanks, thats pretty much what I'm hoping it is, but wasn't sure.
no worries,I had the same thing about two months back, although that turned out to be a precursor to mono.which, incidentally, you might wanna keep an eye on, if you're sleepier than usual, might wanna check that one out.
