Tooth ache quick fix? Anonymous
Whooo lawdy, /fit/, I'm in a world of hurt.
About 6 years ago, I had a molar pretty much rebuilt from the ground up. This was during my enlistment, and the dental techs were pretty famous for screwing up in some way or another.
Anyway, they patched it up fairly well (just did it as an afterthought when they pulled my wisdom teeth) and it hasn't bothered me since -until the day before yesterday. At first, it didn't bother me too much. It would only pulse and throb occasionally, but now...
Yeesh, it feels like the left side of my lower jaw has a migraine.

Now, I'm insured and all. Come Monday, I'm setting up an appointment to have that bad boy taken care of. My question is this:
Is there anything I can do 'till then to numb or mask the pain a bit?

At your suggestion, I read up on it. It's reported to be pretty decent, so I'll give it a whirl. Thanks, dude.

/thread, I guess.

I gargled cold water for 4 days, it helped a lot.
It was the same pain as yours, pulsating on my whole left side, couldnt sleep (try gargling water while you are sleeping and lowering your head only adds pressure) and on last die i snapped and bought ibuprofens (took 3,5 g).
On 5 day i went to the dentist and i turned out that the pulp in my tooth was dead (gangreen) so she took it out and now im ok.
So my advice is gargle cold water or massive dose of ibuprofens.
