Jesus Christ /fit/!

Thanks to help from the forum I’ve been eating healthy and exercising well for 3/4 months and I’ve seen a marked improvement. Part of the diet is of course cutting out all white sugar and 'soda'.

I also don't have cheat days as such; I love the taste of the food I prepare so I’ve not been drawn to any junk.

However one of the lovely secretaries at work just brought up some very rich chocolate birthday cake. I thought 'oh it's been 3 months you can have a little slice, plus it would be rude to say no'.

An hour or so later and I’m fucking bouncing off more walls than a 6 year old with ADHD. Is there anything I can do to bring this sugar rush down? I'm rather worried about the come down as I have a game of cricket later today and i don't want to be fast asleep while fielding. Sorry if I typed too much can't stop these sugar fingers awuifaifuawfiafva ARRRGHH!

any /fit/ fags with experience in this? HELP!

Your insulin is just spiked and your body is just in a bit of an overactive funk. Drink lots of water, have some slow digesting protein, relax.

OP here, I'll have no problem overcoming it long term I was merely interested if anyone had some sort of 'quick fix' but with just about anything in fitness there’s no such method. I've had one of my daily meals earlier than usual and I drink plenty of water so it's just a waiting game then. The situation is probably aggravated by the fact I'm at a desk instead active.
