Hey /fit/
I have myself in quite a dilemma, last year I was a uber fat ass at about 210 lbs @ 6 feet tall. I lost all that weight by stupidly starving myself and went down to about 170 in a couple months, during the process I lost a lot of muscle but looked a lot better. I quit doing my workout routine about 6 months ago and I am now at about 182 I have gained a little bit more muscle but not to much, but the fat ive gained is more noticeable.

So the plan I have is to Work on bulking up 3 days a week and then doing some HIIT in between those days to increase my metabolism.

I have roughly 2 months before I start my senior year so am in over my head or is my goal attainable? Is there anything else I should know?
Basically am I doing it right?

Thanks

TLDR: 6'ft 182lbs 17 years old
Needs to lose fat and gain muscle in two months, to achieve more defined look.

If you work hard enough you can do anything, Johnny.

Noobs don't realize you can't lose fat and gain muscle simultaneously successfully. Either focus on losing fat/lowering body fat percentage, or gaining muscle, lifts weights.

Are you me? Same situation but I'm a month ahead of you on it and shorter at 5'10" but proportional weightage. We even look the same.

See>>237982for what I'm doing after reading Venuto. A month into this and the results are definitely there. You're newbie enough like me to the point where you can lose bodyfat and get muscle at the same time, so I don't know about all this bulking business, personally. You'll look better with less bodyfat and cleanly gained muscle.

to bring up your metabolism you need muscle
i suggest you do a full body work out. Pretty much act like your a pro body builder. Eat a lot of eggs and drink muscle milk. THAT IS A MUST. dont think about the fat. Once you are fairly buffed up. Do a mild work out every day. This will be around the time you start school. Try biking to school or walking to a further bus stop or train station. Then your metabolism will be way up there. I suggest you just miss lunch. After a while you will get used to just 2 meals a day. and when you do eat only 2 meals dont go lift weights and to heavy work outs. do mild stuff. i hope i was of good help.
