How bad is a 12inch tuna salad sub? I've been having one of those everyday at work for years and I wonder if I should stop with them now that I'm dieting.
Right now, as breakfast I always have either a brown sandwish with peanut butter, or a cup of oatmeal and a banana, at work during lunch break a bowl of soup and that sub and in the evening a plate with vegetable salad and some chicken breast or fish, and an apple for dessert. Nothing more. And I do cardio 30-60 min every night. Oh yeah, only drinking water.
I know my breakfast and dinner are fine, but I'm wondering if I need to drop the sub in case it might ruin my diet.

Make the 12 inch only a 6 inch.

this is relevant to my interests; I often eat tuna subs as well. I make sure to go whole weat and stay away from white breads because they are just sugar and carbs. I figure with healthy bread, a bunch of different kind of vegetables and tuna being high in protein, that the sandwich must be pretty decent health wise.

I would cut it down to 6 inches though if I were you, 12 seems too high in calories and proportion

Make that shit yourself, and you're gold.

Tuna = Good
Whole wheat bread = good
Mayonnaise = good to a point
vegetables = good

Getting it from subway or somewhere wouldn't be as good, due to processed bread, overfatty mayonnaise, and cheese triangles. Yep.

There's nothing wrong with fat, it has more to do with ingredient quality which will be absolute shit at a place like Subway.

Iceberg lettuce and mealy severely underripe tomatoes aren't going to do much for you either.

I used to work at a Subway Anon. There is always one thing you can count on at any given Subway. Don't trust the fucking tuna.

I used to eat 12" tunas from Subway for years because I just loved them. I never thought they were that bad... Turns out every 6" has over 500 calories. Thats right, I was eating 1000 fucking calories in one sitting without even realizing it. Oh well.

Whole GRAIN bread, not whole wheat bread. Big difference.

What's the difference? I've never known.

Also, Subway is a lot better than like McDonalds, but I suggest making it yourself. Subway has shitty processed ingredients.

1/2 tsp mayo - 50 cal
Can of tuna - 120 cal
Two slices of whole wheat bread - 230 cal
Lettuce/tomato
Cheese/other stuff optional.
