Do girls even like body builders anymore?

I really feel sorry for guys who work out just for attention from girls.

These days, girls prefer the fashionable metrosexual guy.

fit guy with a fashion sense ftw?

>fashionable metrosexual guy
wrong, that was like 3 years ago and is dying. real men are back in. also fashionable metrosexuals still work out.. if anything they work out more for looking good than manly men do, because that's their main concern

nice try though, thread over

Depends on the girl, you donkey. Feminine little men in girl's jeans and make up sure appeals to some women.

And prisoners.

But /fit/ is about fitness, not just bodybuilding.

Even if it's not trendy anymore, there are still men who are real blooded, meat eaters with large muscular bodies.

all my friends that are girls say they aren't into guys with a lot of muscles because "it's so gross"...but then they're always talking to jacked up lacrosse players at parties...so i honestly have no fucking idea

They lie, whats not to understand.

A lot of women aren't into meatheads.

However, all women prefer a fit guy with a nice body to a sloppy obese fuck. Ever heard of a woman being turned off by a ripped midsection? I haven't.
>> Anonymous
Of course. Well maybe not bulky big but a ripped guy, say, fitness model, of course.

theres a difference between being a fit looking guy than a mass of muscle

Having a nice body is never out of style. I suppose it's hard to overdo it, since it takes years to get so jacked that it looks unattractive, unless you're doing ROOOOOOIDS.
>> Anonymous
Yeah most girls aren't into meatheads(seriously that shit is disgusting) but girls are still attracted to guys who do look fit.

They do do for fashion sense, but self-confidence is more important. For lots of guys working their body into shape leads to better self-confidence.

There isn't any clear-cut preference all women have, but rather you could list things they often do like. Could be the girl you want simply have obscure taste in men. Many women like men who represent to them;
Adventure
Danger
Social status
Romance,
and other such faggotry.

Either way, your social skills will matter more than your looks. You might be hot as fuck, but if you can't look her in the eye and stutter every word you say, you're not getting very far. Plus, a lot of hot women are socially inept themselves and not good for much else than one-night stands. If that's what you're after all you have to do is prowl a nightclub and look for the chicks who aren't out with their friends. If they're alone, they're usually looking for sex.

Maybe they like to pretend they like skinny metro guys, but I think instinct still has a lot to say about a woman's true preference.

She might be happy to date some skinny bastard, but the moment some fit (athletic, practically fit, the kind of fit the would have been beneficial in killing dinner however many thousands of years ago) guy appears, they perk up, they start to release pheromones and get all wet.

They know it, they might not admit it as if to exert some kind of power over physically strong men, but they know deep down they want to be sexually ravaged.

I doubt the majority of them like XBAWKS huge roid monkeys, but I still think few women can resist a truly healthy specimen of peak physical fitness (perfect blend of strength and athleticism).

It is quite different here in Britland. A lot of girls I know frequently talk about rugby playing types. Broad shoulders and big arms still go down a treat over here. Sadly though, the girls around here are oddly content with total meatheads. He might not have two brain cells to rub together, but as long as he has thick arms and a fat chin, he's in the door.

Best bet is to go for both, good body, sharp tongue.

eh, social situations would vary. Sounds like theyre looking for fun, ie not something to settle with. that's pretty typical though.

Don't bother working out to get girls. It's not worth the effort.

I got into shape to get women. I get very few women at bars since I'm not an interesting fellow. Only girls I get are bar sluts who like listening to my war stories from when I was in Afghanistan.

Maybe 1 girl every month or two months. I don't do well. 1/20 sucess rate. I pay sometimes.

I'm short, 5'7" though. Not fitness model day revolves around eating and working out ripped. But better than most guys.

I used getting in shape for the marines though, so it wasnt a waste for me.

I'm 5'7 too, but I have a very quick wit and decent ability to actually talk to girls about anything and make it work.

That stems from being short and fat and butt ugly, thus having to really work on my personality just to make friends and get by.

Now I'm a lot better looking and getting a lot better physically, it makes everything a lot easier. Now I get the intial attraction factor based on my body going, which I can back up with my personality afterwards.

I like muscle but not as far as body building. I have never liked the metrosexual type. I don't want a guy that spends more time getting ready than I do.
>> Anonymous
I go for any guy who generally looks like he could beat the shit out of me. If he dresses nice, well, thats a plus.

i remember hearing some report that the new thing was geeks, not body builders. (NO, not you nerds, FUN geeks)

I go to the gym just to keep the belly off and get some tone, but i don't want my anatomy class to be able to use me to identify all the muscles in the human body

There's a point where a muscle guy goes from hot to creepy.

But the bottom line... you gotta be someone a girl actually wants to be around. going to the gym can only boost your self confidence, not make you a magnet for girls.
