Hey /fit/

I've been baking my chicken breast with olive oil, chives and black pepper and I've been putting olive oil on salads and tomatoes and such.. I'm trying to lose quite a bit of weight and I find it makes foods I find bland somewhat more bearable..

tl;dr Should I avoid using olive oil when trying to lose weight/become healthier?

A table-spoon is 110 calories.

It's good fat, but an over-abundance of anything, especially when cutting, can fuck everything up.

It really all comes down to your caloric intake and food balance (fats, proteins, crabs)

Dont eliminate fat from your diet. You need some of it.

Depending on your body type and how fast you want to loose the weight but your diet should be like 50% Carbs, 35% Protein and 15% fat. You need a certain amount of fat per day, but too much is not good, Olive Oil, Flaxeed oil or just eating nuts are a good way to get those needed fats, but you also have to keep your caloric intake into account. I'm in the middle of jumping around in this book right now. I love it. Although, its a different situation with me as I'm not overeating or obese... I'm undereating and skinny.. But, the facts are good and helpful.

The book is really just a great resource to have, teaches you some great facts about aerobics, weight lifting and diet... people from all ends of the spectrum can gain for this book. I actually started reading from chapter 6, then I went back and read the first 5 chapters... I suggest you start from the beginning though.
