I don't want to sound like an asshole, but it's supposed to be hard, especially since it's such a broad, explosive movement. I'm having a hard time writing this eloquently, but there's no rule that says "You can only do one leg exercise per workout". By the way, I would seriously consider ditching the Hindu squats in favor of one legged squats, for a number of reasons.
tl;dr, if you're going to do burpees, do burpees. They're an excellent exercise that will make your legs a hell of a lot stronger. And although you'll be huffing and puffing, they don't count as cardio.
