hi /fit/, one question for you guys.

when i do exercises that are supposed to build upper body muscle, such as bench presses, pushups, pullups, etc. i always feel it mostly in my arms. they build up with no problem, but i never gain anything on my chest. what am i doing wrong?

btw, i have tried to concentrate on putting more of the pressure on my pecs, but it doesnt seem to work either

thats what i am afraid of, i dont want to end up like these guys who have boobs instead of pecs.

how can one stop this from happening?

dont overwork the chest? they only get that big if you spend serious time on them.

you can also work pectoral major and minor, not sure which is which as im not a major fitfag and dont know all latin names for muscles, but incline bench press and decline work different ones. one does upper pecs/shoulders more, and the other does pure chest.

jjust do a balanced workout and itll be fine.

benchpress 3 times a week.
5x5. Increase weight all the time.
Do nothing else for upper body.
Sleep and eat well.
Chesticles will grow.
Deadlift and squat helps too.
Stronglifts 5x5 is good.

Widen your grip. A narrow grip puts more emphasis on the triceps, a wide grip puts the emphasis on your chest.
