Hey, /fit/.

Stickfag here. This is my 'before' picture--or it will be once I begin to show progress.

Am running/jogging, swimming whenever I get the chance, doing pushups, crunches, squats, other gym-class shit. Trying to eat healthily, but bad habits continue getting in the way of that goal, although I do have more willpower staying away from junk food and I no longer eat fast food every day of the week, and I now forgo drinking anything in favor of water.

Need help, though. Longtime anorexifag, and I just realised how FUCKING SKINNY I AM, I MEAN GODDAMN I LOOK LIKE AN AUSCHWITZ SURVIVOR.

I need meat on these bones.

But really I just want to look good enough to attract the ladies: a visible six-packs, actual pecs, somewhat toned arms.

But no, I have this flabby, skeletal chest, stick arms, and a wifebeater tan :(

BUT THAT ALL CHANGES THIS SUMMER.

Damn, you really look underweight

You fucking need to EAT (probably twice or 3 times more than before), more than running, more than lifting weights, you fucking need FOOD

Eat 6-7 meals a day, it may seems a lot but it's not, plenty of proteins and carbs each time, good foods are MILK and MEAT (turkey, chicken, beef, tuna for example) + veggies/fruits

DO IT FAGGOT

OP here

Fucking thank you, man. For your honesty, and for actual advice.

I will eat and eat and eat and eat. But then what?

As I said, used to be anorexic, and stopped that once I realized that I was slowly and methodically starving myself to death. I am comfortable with this body, but there's always room for improvement--and not to mention the fact that I never fucking exercise at all.

So I will eat, but what do I do while I'm eating and after I gain some weight?

Your really skinny kid. You need alot more protein. Eat all the meat you can find because your not getting enough food.

You might have some difficulty gaining weight due to your metabolism/genetics. May I suggest overeating somtimes?

I'll definitely try eating, and eating a lot. Would protein really help? Meat is the main thing, right?

Could I build myself up to what's in the picture within a year? Is that being realistic?

No. There are red lines floating in midair. I don't think that's possible for anyone.

You want to work on your shoulders, too.

If you work your abs, chances are they won't be flat.

Everything else is VERY realistic. A year is plenty of time if you work out 2-3 times every week.

Protein is very important for muscle growth.

When you say work out, what does that entail? I know I'm being very demanding here, considering the fact that I could probably skim several threads and find the answer, but I'd like it all spelled out for me. I know I must continually adapt my workout, but for the first month, to begin to show progress, what should I do?

Give me your instructions /fit/ and I will follow them to the letter.

And again, thank you for all your help thus far.

Very basic exercises will become the cornerstone of your metamorphosis.

Pushups, Crunches, Pullups, Squats, Curls (with dumbbells), Bench Press.

For the first week, start light and get comfortable with the equipment and exercises. Starting the second week, find your max for weights all the while increasing the # of reps per set for all non-strength exercises, slowly.

After that, you'll find your own rhythm. If you get lost, come back to /fit/ for questions.

Otherwise, read up on articles at http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/index.html

Also, research (Reverse) Pyramid Training.

Good luck.
