Does anyone use one of these gyms?? THey're opening one near me and offer 10 dollar a month plans. I was interested until I found out bodybuilders/power lifters aren't allowed. If you grunt or make any noise while lifting weights an employee can hit an alarm and give you a warning. 3 strikes and you're out. Also you can't slam weights at all. WTF is this shit? a gym for fatties?

I friend took me there once when I was visiting out of town. It's a really nice gym but I was under the impression that loud grunting was frowned upon anywhere.
>> Anonymous
it's not if you grunt or make any noise, it's specifically to target the fucking ass clowns that like to drop weights from the highest points and the people that just need attention while theyre doing weights. it's a good gym and it's nice and cheap.

it's a "judgment free zone", so welcome to the poor person's gym. i know like 3 guys that have been thrown out of them for deadlifting...

i go there. grunting and dropping weights is supposedly against whatever rules they have. so is neglecting to re-rack the weigh plates after a set of SQUATZ. people still grunt all the time, people drop weights every now and then, and there is always at least one ass clown who never racks his weights. but i have never once seen that alarm go off lol. ive never been to a serious powerlifting gym or whatever, but my PF has squat racks that are usually empty (douchebags doing curls in the racks occasionally), tons of treadmills bikes and ellipticals, some machines, a good amount of free weights, and every now and then some eye candy. its a really good deal imo, the price is great (works out to about $14 a month), but i guess if you are more advanced athletically or whatever than you might want more than what they have to offer.

If you notice in some of Frank Yang's videos on Youtube, he works out at a Planet Fitness

Bullshit, if Frank Yang were to even enter a Planet Dickless, the building would immediately collapse to the ground.
