Hay /fit/
My job has me sitting at computer desk all day long. I've always had bad posture but recently I've been having really bad upper back pain. Do you know of any good exercises to help out?

we just had a thread on this, sigh.

get up and walk for a minute or two every hour or so.

Sit with your butt right into back of the chair to stop slouching into it.
push your chin back into your throat a bit, feels odd but will stop that head-forward geeky thing if you hold that, aswell asssss:
push shuolder blades together tightly, hold this with the chin into neck thing for around 30+ seconds, even though a few minutes is optimal.

Good mornings (barbell\dumbell\tevs) are also a great way to improve posture.

OP here
I guess sitting in a fetal position doesn't help.
That's good advice, but I wasn't really looking to pump any iron or anything. Maybe somebody knows of some simple stretching exercises or yoga.

here are my holpful hints:

lay on your back when you sleep
try to think of sitting back in your office chair... that'll help
here's a stretch: lay on your bellyput your hands on the ground as though you are about to do a pushup... then arch your back upmards by straightening your arms... try to keep your pelvis down for this

hope it gets better
