I used to be roughly 140lbs during highschool.

Since I got out of highschool 2 years ago, I've gone up to 240lbs.

Some of the weight gain was muscle from working in a warehouse (I had none before, really), but mostly its just fat.

I'd like to get back down near my original weight. Where should I start?

how much cardio, how many days a week?

Honestly, I'm not really sure what eating well is either. Any suggestions?

meh. I lost a lot of weight from just eating less. Only eat when your actually hungry, screw conventional meal times and it doesnt really matter what you eat.

The problem with that is that I am usually hungry feeling if it has been over half an hour since I ate. I do try waiting at least 5 or 6 hours until I eat again, but by that time I'm so hungry I just eat a lot.

Most of it is self explanatory- eat less junk food and white breads. Eat whole grains, fruits vegetables...
Just about everyone here will recommend oatmeal and/or eggs for breakfast. Oatmeal has great fiber, eggs have great protein, and both curb appetites.
That's all I can think of. You can look up dieting tips that suit your lifestyle and give good tips on how to increase metabolism, cut calories, lower cholesterol, etc...

Maybe have five small meals instead of three big ones?

I hope this board becomes permanent, and then gets a FAQ added to it, ala 7chan's /fit/. That should cut out most threads like this.

I'm not the OP, but I have a question.

is 30 minutes of cardio a day, every day, good? I don't have time for more than 30, but I can do it everyday.

If that's really all you can do, yes, it will definitely help.

any amount of cardio or working out in general is better than none at all

yes, but every minute more helps twofold.
Reason: the human body stores enough energy in glycogen form for - tadaaa - 30 mins.
After this battery is used up, you burn fat.
