150 6'1 skinnyfag here and im trying to put on alot of muscle to my upper body and develop my abs. while ive been working out nearly every day for nearly the last month, when i started i was doing alot of cardio (about 3 miles or sprints/mile repeats every day) and not alot of weight lifting. anywho, lost 5 pounds, was like whoops, cut down alot on running and now im putting more focus on weight training

so my question /fit/ is how much cardio is appropriate in my situation, and also how should i divide up what muscle groups to work on in a day and whats the ideal rest period for muscle building?

Do your shit every day, first day do upper body, second day lower body. Or you could do everything and have a bigger break between things..

Since you're an ectomorph it takes longer to recover because you don't eat enough (ME TOO LOL). Pay attention to how long it's taking you to recover, and how much food you are getting. Do you keep an exercise journal? No? Well start doing that faggot.

Cardio has its place, but it's not really your main concern now is it? Do it like 2-3 times a week.
