femanon here
So I've been working out for 2-3 months now, doing HIIT and pilates.

I've seen great results but my belly just doesn't seem to get flat? I'm skinny but the stomach area just seems puffy, fluffy or bloated (I don't know how to describe it)
I know there is no such thing as spot reduction, so how do I correct this?
Should I do more exercise or should I just keep doing what I'm currently doing in hopes that it will go away?

I've been eating a healthy diet with just 1 cheat meal a week. Do I need to go on an even more strict diet?

Thanks

You want to be anorexic?

depends on what the cheat meal is, 15 slices of pizza, 5 pounds of pasta, or 50 mcdonalds cheesburgers. i also do 1 cheat meal a week and that's when i eat out to authentic japanese sushi, it's the only thing i eat since you can't really put fake shit in it, just plain raw fish and rice

Run. Slow, long distance runs are the best way to burn fat. However, I have a question for you: do you do an excessive amount of abdominal work like sit ups? If so, that's probably why. Your abs are no different than any other muscle group; if you work them hard, they will get bigger and protrude. This is how you get six pack abs. However, if you have a bit of belly fat on top of those muscles, then you look like you have a gut and not abs.

Also, drink a lot of water which will help to make your skin thinner.

Do you know your body fat or your BMI or anything that can indicate how much body fat you have in proportion to everything else in your body?

Tens your abs and have a poke. The fat is what you feel before you reach the hardness of your abdomen. If it looks "bloated" it's possible that you're just letting your gut hang out when you look in the mirror.

Look first thing in the morning, and keep it neutral/suck it in a little.

No. I'm at a healthy weight and I'm gaining muscle mass.

If it helps my meals are pretty much this..
breakfast:
bowl of cereal, omelet, fruit, oatmeal, cottage cheese or vegetables (cereeal+fruit or omelet+vegetables etc)
between breakfast and lunch i'll have a snack of fruit, cottage cheese, yogurt etc
for lunch:
(I eat at univ and there's not a lot of choices there)
I'll eat a chicken wrap or a chicken salad
then I'll eat another snack between lunch and dinner
for dinner:
I'll cook stir fry, chicken w some rice, cottage cheese, shrimp, vegetables or whatever my mom is cooking

I don't eat a lot of red meat because it gives me constipation
I'm never hungry or eat less than what's appropriate but I don't know if I need to adjust my diet so any help on that is greatly appreciated. I don't want to starve myself or deprive myself.
As for cheat meals I don't binge or eat super greasy foods so that's not a problem.
Should I incorporate protein shakes to my diet?

As for exercise I do 5-6 times a week as I said HIIT & pilates.

I don't do abdominal work, should I be doing it? I haven't because of the whole belly fat (or whatever it is) thing.

ab exercises are really overrated. big compound exercises will almost always work your core. ab exercises are not necessary to have a flat stomach.

OP again
Wouldn't doing abdominal work with the flab just make it protrude even more?

I suggest give it a shot. the body works in mysterious ways.

Prepare food the day before. Problem solved.

I don't know what kind of foods will last all day, I wake up at 8am and I'm at univ from 10am-7pm. I have no way of heating up food there or keeping it refrigerated.
