Listening to music while working out in any way is pretty common, but is it yet recognized that a steady beat and music you might be passionate about can stimulate the release of adrenalin to the point where you might be able to push passed your pussyfied self weaknesses and get shit done?

I’ve noticed in grade 12 physed [Canada] where the class had to run 10 minutes at their own decent pace, I was usually lapped and I swear I was pushing myself, not to my max but to the same amount of push everyone else was giving it.
Then I asked if I could listen to my MP3 player for the remaining month of physed, and every time I listened to certain songs that I liked, I was passing people like they were standing still, even the athletic kids. Not cutting corners either, sticking to the walls.

Here’s my only question.
Since I am capable of bypassing my minds safety features, the ones that tell us that we should slow down by making our bodies ache whether we’re really even close to our max [aka pussyfication] so that we don’t hurt ourselves, how do I know whether I am actually pushing too hard? Could I actually do too much? Could I hurt myself somehow?

Music I focus on: Strong political music = anger + rhythm = adrenalin & form.

I'm sure auditory input has some effect on the release of epinephrine (obviously).

Yes, it's possible.
When you throw up, you should probably stop.

>how do I know whether I am actually pushing too hard?
How quickly do you recover?
>Could I actually do too much?
Depends on what you mean by that. If you are willing to spend longer amounts of time recovering you should be OK as long as you don't injure yourself.
>Could I hurt myself somehow?
IDK LOL

well I haven't actually gone overboard yet, it was hypothetical. It's like undiscovered territory to me, I could almost double my endurance just by listening to stuff

it takes maybe 3-7 minutes to get my head to stop feeling like shit after the 10 min run, that seems pretty safe.

i shuld look up epinephrine, never heard of it

Epinephrine and norepinephrine are adrenalin and noradrenalin.
I guess the medical community just hates words borrowed from German.
