Ok so I started lifting weights to improve my overall appearance, but while gaining some muscle I also gained a lot of body acne. Before lifting weights my body acne was not noticeable but also as a started lifting, my acne only got worst to a point where I wouldn't take my shirt off out in public. What really bothers me is that people admire me for my physique but do not know about my horrible skin under my shirt and that I can't show off what I've worked so hard for. In the pass few months my body acne has settled down but the scars that still there. I've got scars all over my ass, back, chest, shoulders and upper arms, call me over self conscious but the scars do really look horrible. I've got Asian skin which means my scars turn into dark brown spots and for some reason the skin on my lower back turn all blotchy. You can't really tell by those photos because of my shit camera but they are really noticeable.

I have been to the dermatologist but he said he can't treat the scars because my acne is still active and he won't give me Accutance because it's not severe enough. I have tried over the counter products such as Bio Oil and Mederma but none have help at all, not even an improvement. It's winter here in Australia and I have made it my mission to improve my skin by summer. Is there anyone else who suffers from body acne scars and could recommend to an answer to my skin?

Tanning helped blend some of my acne scars and freckles on my shoulders. Although, living in Australia I suppose you've already tried that.

are you getting enough healthy fats, you've got great results but if you've been on a low-fat, high-protein diet for a while you good be suffering from a lack of essential fats, try getting a bottle of flaxseed or hempseed oil from the shops and have a couple of tablespoons each day- good way I find is have it as a dressing over a chopped raw tomato, onion, olives, apple (basically try all different fruit and veg) - chuck in a little salt to counteract any loss through sweating and 'cause you'll be drinking plenty of water I would guess - and some balsamic vinegar too, that shit's great - and chuck in a can of tuna for some low-fat, protein and boom!! very healthy lunch that'll supply you with a great dose of essential fats.

I've been eating a version of this for a while now and my skin is the best shape it ever has been - plus on the health side of things, depending on what you put in it, you can get most of your '5 fruit and veg a day' in just one meal, which means by the time comes for evening meal and you have something healthy then you'll be getting nearer ten distinct fruit and veg portions a day meaning you can chuck all those expensive vitamins supplements away

anyway, give it a try, see if it works for you

great physique btw - there's a lot of sweat and tears gone into that I can tell, best of luck getting rid of the acne, hope you get to show of your hard work with pride soon!

First off keep your shirt on. Good shape or not, it's weird and only lets everyone know how much of a shallow douche bag you are.

Also the modification of any t-shirt like cutting everything away except two shoulder straps and the bottom is unacceptable.

The tight, too small, skintight t shirt is cheesy as well.

If you are built we can tell by how you carry yourself and how your clothes fit and compliment your body.

I don't wear tight shirts and I prefer loose fitting clothes that I feel comfortable in. It's just when I'm at the beach or at a public pool I feel insecure. It would be nice to flaunt my achieves once in a while not like a douche but I just want to feel comfortable around people without them looking in disgust.

Try Panoxyl foaming body wash. It's really powerful benzoyl peroxide soap that can be used on both your face and your body. It also comes in bar form.

I find it too powerful for my facial areas, but it works wonders on everything under your clothes. Also try exfoliating with a body scrub. Neutrogena makes a good one.

what iv'e done for body acne is use selsun blue. I don't know if it's the selenium sulfide or what, but rub that shit on your shoulders and chest, let it sit there for a couple minutes in the shower. Doesn't help scarring as far as I know, but it helps prevent more breakouts.
