What do you guys think about this workout for improving the amount of pushups I can do in a short period.

I realize that there is the whole muscle healing thing, if so why does the military consistently make recruits do pushups everyday throughout training. If it's that bad for you to not wait for muscle healing why do they use them for corrective training consistently and get positive results?

Because pushups by using your body weight don't destroy the muscle enough that you need a rest day

Doing them everyday is fine

dont know. when i didnt have a gym membership i did hundreds of pushups everyday and was rarely sore. im not talking sets of 20, i went to sets of 40+
