Holy shit, /fit/, something is affecting my SQUATZ!

I just recently began to realize it. When I've been doing my squatz, SOMETHING on or by my left knee has been.....popping, seemingly out of place. So I think by doing said squatz, I'm somehow forcedly dislocating some random something on or by my knee. This is freaking me out.
Should I...dare I say...stop doing squatz? Go to the doctor? I really don't know, but it feels weird feeling this thing pop/move/ whatever, and if I continue to do it...well, I don't know if that'd be the best opinion.

Give me your worst, /fit/.

Bump. Advice, anyone?

I work in Masonry, I get this shit all the time. You get it from actually doing stuff.
When I move I can hear/feel most of my body doing it.
But if I'm out of work for a week or two it goes away.

One legged SQUATZ. Do them.

stop doing quarter squats.

squat your way to the doctor.

OP here providing extra info.
I'm doing full squats, but once I get about a quarter way's down is when it pops/dislocates/whatever. It isn't actually painful, it just feels weird, and I'm pretty sure it's not normal. And considering how beneficial SQUATZ are, I don't just want to stop because of this one small hiccup.

yeah i get that shit in my knee doing leg extentions - doesnt hurt but feels like it may end up bad in the long run. a chiropracter i know says my hips need "adjusting" and i'm getting a bad knee because my lower back is week and my legs have twisted to compensate....

but then again he is a fucking quere and just wants to touch me up all the time

Just curious, did you do squats on the advice of /fit/??

Oh shi-!! I get the same thing. Outside of my left knee, slightly towards the back. I've found that REALLY tightening the leg on the way down, including trying to squeeze my knees together, ie tightening groin, seems to help. Make sure you are properly sticking your ass out and keeping your weight on your heels at all times going down and up, look forward, and keep your chest raised. Other than that I was actually going to ask my doc about that someday, as its pretty annoying, but no pain every. Out of curiosity, do your joints "pop" easily? I can pop almost every joint in my body, not sure if this is related or not.

Happens to me too. It's usually from improper form and dipping to the left (or right) first, or starting from a misplaced stance (too wide, to the left or right, etc.). It always makes my right knee "pop", but it doesn't really hurt or anything.

Also, whenever I do forearm wrist curls my wrists pop very loudly. So loud that you can hear it over treadmills and televisions at the gym. Again, it doesn't hurt, so I just work through it. I blame it on 4+ years of being an MMOfag.

No, I can't pop joints easily. And I'll definitely take the advice, thanks /fit/. If it continues to fuck with me, I'll just try to find an alternative, even if it could be less beneficial...I don't want to fuck anything up by continuing to let this joint move, or whatever the hell it is.

Yeah if you want your penis to recede into your pelvis and grow labia lips over the hole.

Your knee is popping out of place because it's weak, just put more weight on the bar and the muscles will grow and hold everything in place.

The only solution is to do more squats, and repeat this poem an old coach of mine used to say over and over again.

Down the road, in a gym far away
A young man was heard to say,
"No matter what I do, my legs won't grow!"
He tried leg extensions, leg curls, leg presses too.
Trying to cheat, these sissy workouts he'd do!
From the corner of the gym where the big guys train,
Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain,
Where the big iron rides high, and threatin' lives,
Where the noise is made with big forty-fives,
A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees,
A very big man with legs like trees,
Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack,
Chalked his hands and monstrous back,
Said, "Boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten!
Trouble with you is you aint been SQUATIN'!!"

Yes. Because when you here something pop, it's a good idea to put more weight on. That'll fix it.

Ask a doctor.

popping joints is nothing serious.
Warm up on a bike and slowly work up your weight to workload.
Your knees need to be lubed for full work.

My knees pop every full bend.

It's 'cause I've got tight tendons that pull my knee kinda' funny.

I wonder if you actually know how to squat.
