I used to work out every day by doing 200 crunches (50 legs down, 50 legs halfway up, 50 all the way up, 50 reverse crunches) and about 15 curls of 20lbs per arm.

What I'd like to ask /fit/
a) Was this a decent workout?
b) I've lost all motivation, and I really need a way to motivate myself. What can I do?
c) My diet is horrible. I never eat vegetables, and basically eat what I can. What should I start eating more of to maintain a fit body?

Thanks in advance, and pic unrelated.

lol 200 crunches hahahaaa

that's a pretty decent workout if you only want a very cut six pack and very tight biceps.
It all depends on what you want, i would just recommend more variety in your workout. maybe some pull ups or push ups, or if want to get bigger, use heavier weights at the gym.
motivation is also up to you; maybe listening to music while you workout, or the fact that chicks absolutely dig a hot bod and is a great way to get first impression respect.
as far as vegetables and eating healthy goes, just drink a lot of water, completely avoid soda, donuts or anything with trans fat or high fructose corn syrup. maybe buy some carrots or spinach and just eat it as a snack.

good luck buddy

What. It's a totally useless workout.

OP here.

I forgot to mention that I am indeed fairly skinny. I weigh 134lbs at 5'11", so yeah.. I have a very fast metabolism

Yeah, I don't think I can grow too much so I simply want to become cut and defined with what I have. I never drink soda, drink a lot of water, but the donuts and such I don't really avoid.

Thanks for the pointers.

you CAN gain weight, if you train properly (full body workout) + eat every 2-3 hours.

Eating every 2-3 hours seems like an aweful lot, but that is the time that it takes for the food to leave your stomach.

After this period you could still feel full, but you could easily eat another meal ;)

Rule of thumb, if you are ever hungry, eat more often

OP you represent everyone that has misguided concepts about working out.

FACT: Crunches and sit-ups don't do SHIT for your abs. Your abs will be worked out and defined the most when they're used to stabilize your body or hold a static force.

Invest in a workout book. Or hell, just download one online. There's a LOT of things you need to learn before getting serious about weightlifting. Trust me, when you look into the mirror, and you see that you've gotten bigger, and you FEEL like you've gotten bigger and stronger, it's totally worth it.
