Eat a healthy diet full of lots of fruits and veggies, as well as protein, drink lots of water, minimize the junk food, exfoliate occasionally (don't need special products, you can use one of those green scott brite kitchen sponges) wear sunscreen, and you'll never need any fancy "skin care" products...just a cheap face wash.

Care products I own

-St Ives Apricot Scrub (basically an exfoliating face/body wash)
-Neautrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash
-Clearasil Acne Control

I use the St Ives in the shower while bathing in warm water. This clears dead skin away and cleans the pores a bit.
For overkill, I go with the Neutrogena wash, though I don't use it often cause my skin develops an immunity to it if I use it a certain amount of days straight.
Finally, I use the Clearsil Acne Control, which is a leave-on creme.

On days I don't bathe, I at least make it a point to rinse my face with water and apply the Clearasil.

Also, if I ever get a pimple, I pop it (yes- I know that's bad) and then apply some peroxide and it's 90% of the time gone within the day/overnight.

This is funny, my acne cleared up when I started taking ice cold showers.

Also, one bad habit I have is not applying moisturizer. Occasionally, I'll use one that emphasizes the fact it has Vitamin E (a skin tightener) in it.

Scotch brite, are you fucking kidding me? It's far too rough on your skin and it'll irritate it which will inflame it and then pores will stick together because your skin is even slightly puffy.

When you wash your face you should BARELY be touching your skin and you should be rubbing for no longer than 10 seconds. People don't realize what gentle is, jesus.

more info on acne.org if you want, same poster who made that long list just now.

I pop the occasional zit I have that's ready, and I regularly clear out the sebum in the pores on my nose.

I don't have acne, but my face get's very red.

I guess my cheeks are just "rosy" but is there anyway to minimalize this?

There's some skin cream you can get for that, I remember my girlfriend buying some to hide hickeys.
