Jump rope is all about rhythym. Synchronise your jumps with your arms to jump at the moment the rope closes in on your feet. It's not that hard, you played many videogames, think of counter timing. Don't tuck your legs when you jump because you'll lose your tempo and get tired quickly, and for fucks sakes unless you can do 2-3 minutes without stops DON'T try the thin ones and espeacially the iron ones.
