/fit/ my legs are fucking huge. And a while just to see how much I could do I maxed out on 800 pounds for the leg press, though i'm confident I could go higher.

However they're took bulky, how do I go about strategically making them smaller?

I literally don't care if they become weak as fuck.

800 that's it? Was a 1 time thing or one of those bullshit do 8 reps max type of things?

I'm not sure, the day when we were trying to see how much I could do. we just kept adding weight, so we started with somewhere around 600, I did it easily, and we just kept building up and then by the time we built up a little past 800 Icould only do one.

I could probably go higher, but I have desire too.

Never used the leg press I see? Unless everyone uses one that has a angle degree of like 60. My max on a 45 degree one was like 1100lbs. What's the point of leg press anyway, besides looking like a badass loading it up with a shitton of weight. Is it to work legs like a squat, but putting less strain on your back?

when someone says they have a max leg press I just kindly smirk and turn 360 degrees and walk in the other direction

its simply a bodybuilding tool that advanced weightlifters looking for more leg hypertrophy will use after heavy squats so they can keep teh poundages high but minimize injury risk.

for anybody who:
-isn't bodybuilding
-doesn't have huge fucking legs
-can't squat 500lbs

it's a waste of time.

and there are so many different kind of leg presses that you cannot use it as a benchmark for anything, theres 45 degree, cybex plate loaded, weight stack etc, and they all have different strength curves.

in short, legpress doesn't mean shit. leg strength is measured by the following:
back squat
front squat
lunge
rdl
glute ham raise

etc

OP Here sincerely not caring because in the end that's not my problem. The problem is my legs are bulky and they're strong and I don;t know how to go about getting them smaller.

Question: How much percentage should a lunge be of a back squat? I never heard of it being used as an indicator of leg strength

Train legs less and start doing a lot of running. They'll get smaller.
