Started working out again last week, first couple days couldn't move, took a break, now I'm back on track.

Went to GNC and grabbed some Hydroxycut Hardcore since I've got a bit of a gut and love handles (5'9" 200lbs), figure I'll take that before each workout and do at least 30 minutes of cardio, then do my chest, arms, shoulders, back workout, or my complete leg workout.

I also got Whey Iso Burst, apparently its good, 40grams of protein per serving, quick absorbtion, has a bit of sucralose but I'm hoping thats not too bad.

Women said since I'm 200lbs I need to intake 200grams of protein a day just to maintain my current musculature, I think she's batshit insane.

Any thoughts on these products and general advice would be appreciated.

Don't do cardio and weightlifting on the same days.

You should know that already.

I switched to these pills because I was simply taking a can of Full Throttle each morning before hitting the gym, figured this can't be worse then that.

I know it reduces my productivity, or at least my overall energy reserves, but since I'm balancing University, work, and a relationship... I find it hard to simply work out one day and then do cardio the next.

What I usually do is get in the gym and do 15-30 minutes on the treadmill, about 4-5 mph, cool down, do some stretching, loosen myself up, then go do my weightlifting.

Dooinitrong. Warm up for 5-10mins on the treadmill, do weights, then about 45 mind of cardio. Never cardio before weights, only after.

alright, just saw a more detailed version of this answer on yahoo answers.
Apparently I'm fucking up my glycogen stores by doing too much cardio in the beginning, whereas its actually better for me to finish off with cardio.

What I'd like to know now is this, should I take the hydroxycut before my workout as well?
Or should I just take it before my cardio?

I'm limited to 3 pills in a 4 hour period, my workouts usually don't exceed 2.5 hours.

Take it before your cardio. You're supposed to eat within an hour of taking it....when I didn't eat my stomach would get really upset. Plus it should give you more energy, which you might be a little short on post-lifting, for your cardio session.

Stuff helps, but don't take it for too long or your body will get used to it for weight loss and when you finally cycle off it, it'll be harder to maintain the lower weight.

thanks
i got basically 80 servings worth, 240 pills, going to take 3 pills each day I work out/do cardio, so that'll be a little less then 2 and a half month worth of usage if I do 5 days a week.

Btw, did you see any results?
How much were you working out, did you drastically change your diet as well?

That's the way to do it. Don't do the "3 in the morning, 3 6 hours later" thing. Just use it pre-cardio and you'll notice a difference for sure.

I changed everything. Diet, exercise, supps...so I noticed a HUGE difference from the combo of all the above. I can't say for sure how much was h-cut alone...but it would give me an energy boost for sure. My problem is that I took it for like 9 months straight and when I got off it, I put on weight SUPER easily.
Just make sure and cycle it like everything else (squatz aside).

I'm hoping the two and a half months will be sufficient, all my fat is concentrated in my gut area but I don't think it is anymore then 10-15 of fat from the looks of it.

How big were you? And how you doing so far as keeping it off now?

Right now I'm trying to get into the whole eating multiple small meals routine but its hard.

bite me
give me like... fuck... is 3 months reasonable with 4-5 days working out a week, two and a half too three hours of cardio a week?

I've seen morbidly obese people lose almost a hundred pounds in that amount of time, so me losing that gut shouldn't be impossibly hard.
>> Anonymous
>>337276
I lost over 100lbs....we'll just leave it there.
I did great for a while...then I put on 40lbs in 5 months. I'm just now getting back into the gym in the morning...but you should be fine. I wish I could have started where you're starting from.

Just cleaning up your diet doing some cardio and resistance training should be plenty fine to lose that weight. Add some h-cut and you'll be ahead of the curve.

The supps are the least important part though man..it's all about the diet and the exercise. You have to do it right.

>I've seen morbidly obese people lose almost a hundred pounds in that amount of time

You do not want to do that, or you might find yourself surfing /fit/ posting things like that>>337275

Also I'd say do should rather switch that schedule around, 2-3 days of whole body workout to get your body used to working out again and 4-5 days of cardio.
At least until you lose some weight.

Good job on the initial weightloss and good luck on the new initiative.

I know I got to completely cut out pop from the equation, maybe switch from beer to hard liquor shots when I go out drinking so I don't drink as much.

And I have to learn to cook shit that isn't pasta... I eat pasta almost every day, and cheese a fuckload too.

So your saying do 3 days lifting, head to toe with no cardio cept for the warmup I guess, and all the other days do about an hour or so of cardio?

Full body sounds a bit intense for someone just getting back into it doesn't it?

No, not 200g, unless you're 200lbs of pure muscle.

Thanks.
Working out always puts me in a better mood anyways...just one of those I shouldn't have let slip. It's a shitty feeling having a bunch of "omg i'm not fat anymore" clothes in my closet that I'm too big for. Ha.

Shit man...cut out the beer/pasta/cheese and that would do it itself. lol...
Try vodka. You could do diet pepsi/vodka and be set.
Anyways...good luck.

yah, i didn't get immense, but i still hate the feeling i get after having gotten far with working out, then falling out of it for a few months and starting all over again.

as for the food, its going to have to be changed, hard since i love to eat all that crap, but its all about commitment.

You know what. The thing that pisses me off most about you is that you're destined to be a colossal failure simply because of your inability to follow directions.

The cunting bottle tells you to take 6 pills a day at regular intervals. This is for a fucking reason, you niggering piece of shit. Thermogenics work by increasing your core temperature by a small amount so your body becomes more inefficient and requires a slightly greater calorie expenditure to do the same amount of work. By taking half the shitting dosage before you do your weak ass cardio session, you're not going to be doing ANYTHING AT ALL.

For fuck's sake.

Use the shit like you're supposed to, and perhaps in 2 months of usage, you MIGHT lose an additional 1.5 lbs of body fat that you would otherwise not have lost. Take it in the form and dosage that you want to use, and you might as well pack it into your anus for all the good it will do you.

Also, your cardio routine sounds weak as shit. Like, fat chicks have more impressive routines than you do. Hence, I can only assume that your cardiovascular system is profoundly shitty. So, get in better shape before even touching the stuff. Otherwise the load on your heart will be too great and you could seriously hurt yourself. Not that it would matter, you abysmal fucking failure.

Jesus shitting christ.
