Sup OP, I'm doing the same thing in Amerikkka, but I'm going for pararescue. I'm on an a training program atm that has me ramp up from 2 miles 3 times a week up to 6 miles five times a week, not to mention swimming almost every day an doing 400 pushups/500 situps/60 pullups a day. It's daunting at first, but the key is to take it in step. If you can take it one week at a time and motivate yourself, you're golden. While I'm running and feeling like shit, I just think about the best part of my training- I'll be so fit before Basic that I'll have to do extra exercise just to stay in shape while AT Basic.
Oh, and for your question on how it starts out, week one and two look like this: Week 1,2 - 2 mi run, 8:30 mile pace, M/W/F Week 1-4x15 pushups/4x20 situps/3x3 pull ups Week 2-5x20 push ups/5x20 sit ups/3x3 pull ups Week 1,2- 15 minute continuous swim, if you can't swim, bike twice as long. Good luck, OP. The main problem is going to be motivation. I have posters all over my wall with cliche shit like "WORK FOR YOUR BERET" and I posted my workout schedule on my door.
