hi /fit/,

i am 4 weeks into a 6 week work out program. at 4 weeks i am required to do 26 push-ups 5 times a week. the problem is, when i first started the plan i could do the 12 needed for the first week with ease, but on week four it starts to kill me after 10 and i can barely make it to the 26 required.

what causes this, and is there any (free) way to remedy this?
