Stop. Don't do SQUATZ, don't eat OATZ, don't do HIIT don't do any of the bulking and cutting bullshit either.

You're not fit enough to do High Intensity Interval Training or squats effectively. You're not a track and field sprinter or a powerlifter.
You don't want to be a bodybuilder do you? For a well sculpted body you don't have to do the mindless bulking and cutting.
Don't torture yourself with keeping a ridiculously strict diet. Just DON'T EAT JUNK FOOD. I can't stress this enough. A human being should have the willpower to stop itself from eating garbage. When you're having trouble, remember - there are people fighting heroin addiction yet you can't stop yourself from stuffing your face with a fucking cheeseburger?

Here's what you have to do:
Go to a gym and get an intensity test done.
Get a professional trainer to make you a full body training and a cardio schedule based on the test.
Follow the training and cardio schedules and stop eating junk food. You WILL get in shape.

squats require perfect technique. Unless the person has had some sembelence of physical activity (which would have prepared their body to adapting to newp hysical demands) i would not want them loading ANYTHING until they know EXACTLY what they are doing.

You know 'exactly' what you are doing by practicing. Nothing is wrong with doing squats with just a bar with your PT/friend telling you what to correct.
