Btw I got no gym equipment or money...I read this book called the Naked Warrior which basically said learn to tense your muscles harder, and do one arm pushups and squats (or pistols).
The only exercise I do on a daily basis is ride my bike. So I started doing push ups every other day. Now I can do 20 relatively easy in one set. So I tried doing a one arm push-up. LOL. Did that fail or what. I didn't even know how to begin. It just didn't work. So I moved onto the pistols, I thought being a cyclist that would be easier.....nope.....
