Does anyone on /fit/ actually smoke? How much do you smoke daily, what do you smoke, why do you smoke and so on.

i smoke,. and i'm slowly turning into an athletic

the more intense your training becomes, the more urges you'll have to actaully quit smoking

i smoke 2-3 smokes per day, mainly after a hard training session or after i hit the showers

I smoke about 5 or 6 a day, selfrolled with filter.
Since right now i only to muscle buildup and no cardio training it doesnt hinder me.

i smoke for health reasons.

i have a chronic and incurable illness called ulcerative colitis. i´d been able to manage it for years, but when i gave up smoking about a year and a half ago, i had a terrible relapse, lost loads of blood, was shitting 20 times a day, couldnt work, was constantly bloated and shitting whatever i ate or drank straight out. shitting water is weird.

so i did a bit of research and it turns out that smoking dampens the symptoms of colitis and is actually less dangerous that the medication i was prescribed on relapse (azathioprine....supresses the immunes system and increases cancer risk by up to 250 times)

now i smoke rolling tobacco, i´m running and resistance training again, putting some muscle back on. i can feel that i´m a bit shorter of breath, but at least i can fucking function.

tldr, giving up smoking nearly killed me.

used to be a heavy one. pack, or pack a half per day.
for a year or so. Then got into the healthy way of life and tried to go cold turkey. Didn't succeed so i made a limiter or so. One cigar per day. and that's it. This keeps me in check.

when i quit weed the cigarette intake skyrocketed
working out stoned only made me sober up fast as hell.

i smoke a lot more weed than i smoke tobacco. i probably go through a quarter a week by myself but i also smoke on average 1.5ish cigarettes a day. dunno why but sometimes i just need a cigarette even after not having one for days

The only times I usually smoke are around winter, when finals are coming around. Then I go through like 2 packs in that month. That's it for the entire year. Smoking during the summer is way too fucking hot.
