Whats up /fit/. Havent gone to the gym for a couple months now and I never used any protein drinks/bars when i worked out. I wanna get back into the gym since winters coming and beach season closes in pretty damn fast.

Ideal PWO (Post WorkOut) shake:

50% Whey / 25% Dextrose / 25% Maltodextrin / a dash of salt

Put it all in a sealed mug filled with water and shake.

I recommend Optimum Nutrition Whey. They have a variety of flavors.

Bars are useless (or rather, aren't useless, but just SUCK SHIT) for after a workout since they don't get the protein into your system as quickly as say, a shake (drink). Solids are digested slower than liquids.

Besides after a workout, munch on protein bars whenever you like.
