Hey fit. Skinnyfag here. Im looking to get my arms/shoulders a little bit bigger. My abs used to be a lot better. I can do situps for like a week and you could see them.

What should I work on? I have two 15 pound circle weights that are supposed to be put on a handle that I dont have. I can curl them though since theres a handle.

Eat more and you will get bigger.

Fat or muscle, you ask? That all depends on how hard you work out.
>> Anonymous
>>309040

No I wont get bigger from eating more..I've tried.

Im 18 btw..

Im just looking to get maybe my forearms and arms bigger. I dont really have any equipment.
>> Anonymous
You have no chest, no arms, no shoulders, no nothing.

Do what I did. Eat more, Drink atl east two litres of milk a day.

Workout 3 times a week:

30 seconds rest between sets, 2 minute rest between exercises

5 sets of pushups
5 sets of bicycle crunches
5 sets of super mans
5 sets of side crunches
5 sets of pullups

Each to relative failure

Run 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes. Eat a carb heavy meal before hand so it doesn't eat muscle.

Yes, you will. You are not genetically special, you just have no been eating a large amount of food coupled with good exercise. Here. Let me show you.

Why the fuck would you tell him to run at this point? Maybe once he gains 30 pounds...
>> Anonymous
>>309057
Because it's great lower body exercise, and builds up a healthy level of cardio.
>> Anonymous
eat more and work hard
>> Anonymous
>>309053

Im telling you, just eating more wont do shit. I would have to drink muscle milk and eat power bar shit all day, which im not going to do.

And I skate a lot, so I dont need to run..
>> Anonymous

My legs are really good actually.
>> Anonymous
Oh yeah, im like 6,3 150

>>309064
Can you run a six minute mile? No? Then they're not good. What you have is a low body fat on your legs, which makes them look more muscular then they are. However, if you're not capable of running a 6-7 minute mile or running without pause for 5K, then your legs are weak.

Are you eating three good meals a day, plus drinking 2 litres of milk, and snacking when you're hungry inbetween? Are you getting enough protein to buold muscle?

I started at your weight and I've easily gained weight just through constant exercise and adding milk to my meals
>> Anonymous
>>309062

Holy fuck dick, the only way to gain mass is to create a caloric surplus. You have an overactive metabolism, do not sit here and attempt to tell us you are some kind of otherworldly entity that does not apply to this rule.

Eat calorie dense foods, like nuts and oil. Fuck it, dirty bulk, pig out on Fast Food. Eat less meals a day, cut out cardio. Muscle Milk and Powerbars are hardly shit, you need to eat.

Also get a gym membership and start lifting heavy, pushups are not going to give you significant mass.
>> Anonymous
>>309069

Well I wouldn't really care about my lower body.

I'll try and drink more milk. Chocolate milk > no milk right?

Any other simple exercises?

And I used to be able to do a hell of a lot more push ups. I guess its my height - muscle ratio that makes it hard?

Thanks
>> Anonymous
>>309064
can you squat 2xbw?
if you can't you're weak
>> Anonymous
>Im telling you, just eating more wont do shit.

You are wrong. Just eating more and doing basic bodyweight exercises like pushups and pullups will add muscle.

Your body is tiny because you are too active for your food intake.
>> Anonymous
>>309074

I eat fast food all the fucking time.

Today KFC, yesterday wendys, day before that white castle..

I skip breakfast a lot though so that might have something to do with it.

Fuck do you think I go to the gym? How would I know?

And yeah when I skate its probably a good 5-10 miles atleast. So im burning off anything I take in.

>>309075
I started out at 5'10, 120 pounds. No, it doesn't make it harder. What makes it harder is your muscles are weak from being unused. You used to do PE every week, and that forces you to be in some level of shape. Now you've got the body of a lazy, pale nerd. I gave a workout plan already. I personally drink about 2-3 litres of chocolate milk a day, and a litre of normal milk mixed with whey powder.

I'm about a month and a half in. And though my arms aren't huge, and are still faggy looking, they look a hell of a lot better then yours.
>> Theodore Roosevelt
Something about this shit screams troll, but I'm feeling helpful today so I'll bite.

Dude, looking at your picture, I can fucking tell that your legs look like sticks.

The only way you will gain weight is BY EATING MORE THAN YOU BURN. YOU ARE NOT FUCKING EATING ENOUGH. DO NOT ARGUE THIS FUCKING POINT. ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT GAIN WEIGHT IF YOU HAVE A CALORIC SURPLUS.

You need to go to a gym or buy your own weights and start lifting heavy. Pushups won't make you gain any mass. Skip running for now, since you're trying to put on weight and apparently you have a fast metabolism, so every calorie is precious. Running won't do much for your legs anyway. YOU MUST DO SQUATZ. Why? Squatz target a huge number of muscles in your body, which in turn releases a fuckton of testosterone and hgh and makes you grow everywhere. Also, not training your legs makes you look like a fag, and you don't want that, do you?

This mans body is entirely shaped by pushups
>> sasuke
>>309095
No. It doesn't. He was muscled before, then went in coma for 20 days. Then he started that push-up regimen, wich added him a bit of mass and endurance.
>> Anonymous

He does roughly 1000-2000 pushups a day. He stopped doing normal workouts like 6-7 years ago

>>309098
Let's be honest here. No one on /fit/ is ever going to get big and cut. There has never been a success story of someone getting there with fit's help. Anyone who does abandoned this shit hole a long time ago for a real fitness website, and bought some real books. /fit/ is good for the first six weeks and nothing else. So stop acting like you know shit.
>> sasuke
>>309106
actually that's not true.
>> Anonymous
>>309106
There's tons of meathead faggots on /fit/.
>> Anonymous
>>309112
Yes, yes it is. /fit/ has never contributed anything to the fitness world. It does not talk about conditioning, , endurance-strength, explosive strength, and prolonged strength. It does not talk about anything but training for maximal strength and size. Cardio is thrown in as an after thought, and we've never had a professional bodybuilder, weightlifter, gymnist, or fighter grace the boards.

We do not discuss burpee's, increasing grip strength, jumping rope, advanced abdominal exercises or more advanced weight lifting and bodyweight exercises.

What is discussed on this board is 150% beginner shit with knowledge gleaned from a couple of ebooks.

You're going to look fucking stupid if you just have big arms and that skinnyfat stomach.
>> Theodore Roosevelt
>>309121

that's because that's what most people on here want or need fuckwit.
>> Anonymous
>>309127
No, it's because most people here don't know shit about it. They've never bought any real books on fitness or done prolonged research into it. You're acting like /fit/ could have a thread on those things, when it can't. It knows stronglifts, starting strength, and t-nation. That's it
>> sasuke
>>309121
All what i know from the advanced topics i learned from bodybuilding.com will probably not be of use to me for about another 2 years. I assume everyone keeps to himself for that reason.

>burpee's, increasing grip strength, jumping rope, advanced abdominal exercises and bodyweight exercises.
These have all been discussed many times.

Not so much.
>> Theodore Roosevelt
>>309130

Dude, seriously...how many threads on here are about "I want to be able to bend bolts" or "I want to condition myself to fight for 15 minutes" or "I want to increase my oly lifts"?

Barely any. Because it's all skinny noobs that wanna "tone" or get xbawks hueg or fattys that wanna loose weight.
>> Anonymous
>>309137
That's why I said that /fit/ is basically only good for the first six weeks of your workout. Once you want to shuffle your program, you're best looking elsewhere.

I've learned quite a bit just lurking /fit/ throughout the day and looking for little gems of knowledge. He is right though in that I get a lot more information elsewhere. I wish that /fit/ would go into more complex topics. I did learn about fast and slow twitch muscle here which was MIND BLOWING.

Alright faggot cut back on the skateboarding. Increase food intake. Do the routine anonymous gave you. That is all. AND DON'T PRETEND THAT METABOLISM IS SOME MAGICAL RANDOM NUMBER YOU WERE GIVEN AT BIRTH. IT'S NOT. METABOLISM IS THE BYPRODUCT OF MANY DIFFERENT FACTORS. ONE IS ACTIVITY LEVEL. SO YOU'RE EITHER WAY TOO ACTIVE OR NOT EATING ENOUGH. I'M GOING TO PICK THE LATTER. FAG.

Pushups are free, easy, you can do them anywhere, and they workout your whole upper body for a natural balanced build.

Pushups + Pullups would be a better workout-- hell, there's a million better workouts, but if you had to pick one exercise to start with there's few that can match the basic pushup.

This guy comes here and says "I want bigger arms"

I see a guy who's never exercised. He doesn't need bigger arms, he needs a general upper body workout. Pushups are a good place for someone like him to start.
