Any cardio people in here?

I want to plan a two to three day-per-week cardio system for myself, but I don't know where to start. I haven't worked my cardiovascular system since high school (4 years ago), but have been lifting at the gym for about a year.

I don't have much fun running, cycling, or doing anything repetitive over long distances...probably like most people out there.... Running stairs or stadium seating might be fun (local HS right up the street).

How functional is circuit training? I ask because I have a friend who circuit trains push-ups to pull-ups (w/ 30s breaks) in his garage, and he seems to like it.

My goal is this: general fitness and endurance. No marathons, no cage-fighting, etc. I'd like a cardio workout to supplement my gym workout.
