And OP, you could do what I do, just throw in about 10-15 minutes of ab work at the end of every work out. i.e. twisting situps, decline situps etc.
If on day 3 you do a lower back exercise, like back extensions, you could throw them in there also. Poor example, I do back extensions holding a 35lb weight to my chest, and in between each extension set, do the same motion but twisting to one side as you raise up, this will work obliques and the outside of your abs if i'm not mistaken.
