I am member of a gym and took part in similar stuff there and i was amazed by the diversified moves in p90x compared to the rather boring stuff that the trainer at the gym showed us. "Kenpo" for example consists of punching and kicking that is combined into an interesting choreography. Even if you are used to heavy weight exercises you will start to feel weakness in your arms after punching the air for a minute. It's one of the best methods to get in shape. The weight routines I didn't follow because I already found a personal one for myself. but the abs and fat-burning stuff from p90x complements my weight training very well.
