honey is one of the best sweeteners to use. Maple syrup is better since it is also natural, sweetens with less AND contains many mineral and micro nutrients others do not have. next would be brown sugar. worse would be any processed sugar (white stuff like cocaine) or artificial sweeteners (enjoy your cancer)
as well a banana chopped up in it makes it much nicer, plus you get lots of potassium. I also like some cinnamon, nutmeg and even a pinch of cocoa (unsweetened).
lastly do you make it with water or milk? if water try with milk,,,,, so much better IMO om nom nom nom
here is my recipe 1/3 cup quick oats 1 cup milk (like my oats thinner) pinch each nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa microwave 3:20 minutes. add 2 tsp maple and stir. add one banana chopped and 1/4 cup chopped walnuts. stir and om nom nom nom
