Ok /fit/ I posted here a couple weeks ago about some ideas for weight loss stuff. Since then i've been eating about 1200 calories max a day and doing a minimum of an hour of cardio everyday and every other day doing weights. I dropped from 303 to 276 in a matter 2-3 weeks. Now here is my problem. For the last 5 days I have not lost a single pound and I have been doing the same things as before.... its very discouraging. What can I do to get my weight loss back on track??? This plateau is crushing my spirits lol

You need to eat more. That is not healthy. A normal sized person doing cardio every day needs at least 2500 calories to maintain even a healthy weight. If you eat less, it will affect your hormones and your body. People talk starvation mode. Also try eating more meals and spreading your eating throughout the day, it will keep your insulin level lower which means a more active energy burning metabolism.

1200 is the absolute minimum, and for a woman at that. If you're male, you need to be eating more like 1800. You will never lose as much fat as you want or keep off what you have lost unless you're meeting your minimum needs. And unless you are the most sedentary person on Earth (which you aren't), you need to eat more than the minimum.

Hang on.

So eating more = losing weight? I'm trying to get lean and lose the spare tire, eating somewhere between 1700-1900 calories/day, should I get more?

Male, 5'8", 200 lbs. As for my exercise habits, weight training on M/W/F, HIIT on T/TH, and thinking about doing HIIT on Saturdays, too.

nah that's alrite. i mean, some might argue you hsould eat more but personaly i only eat about 1700-1900 when i was losing weight.

but make suer its all wholesome food. don't eat 19 100 calories packs. every single calories should come from real food.

No, eating to little = not losing weight.

1200 calories a day and not losing weight???

Either the 1200 calories are coming from krispy kreme donuts, or you are literally lying in bed all day.

Try eating so much that you shouldnt loose weight nor gain weight for a couple of days, that will make the body believe it can use more energy for normal things, and then start eating less once more, thereby cheating it.

Right now its probably counterreactiong to your frickin low caloric intake, by not using energy for any shit. Dont you feel tired or anything O_o ?
