anyone in the SCA? I'm starting heavy fighting and I was wondering what I can do in the downtime between practice to strenghthen my shield arm (deltoid?) and improve my grip to hold my sword, etc longer and perform better.

Have a blacksmith knock out any dents in your armour. You're also gonna want to stock up on mana potions before fighting - I know using a healing spell mid-fight isn't going to win you any friends, but would you rather die and lose your points? Maybe you could go to a Master Trainer for your shield arm, some of them will train it to max if you have enough gold pieces.

You know what sucks? When people use an invincibility spell mid-fight. All you can do is run and try to stay alive.

empire and sca seattle area.
shoulder raiseshi reps and static holds. also if you don't have shoulder injuries try holding heavy weights and jumping like a jump roper for 15 secondsthen take a 15 sec break and repeat. dont let your arms go limp. that could cause injury
