Get some kind of multi-attachment thing, then make different attatchments ranging from hooks to swords and umbrellas to dildos. You'd be like a badass inspector gadget.
On a serious note I second the swimming thing, although it might be mildly awkward a handless arm will still produce drag, and i'm sure a prosthetic hand (if thats possible in your case) that is fine in water would suffice. The key is learning to deal with strangers initial shock to see you only have one hand. Most normal folk will only treat you like an invalid if you act like one, and the key to that is being reclusive. Just get out as much as you can and learn to ignore people who glance and double take. Sorry, I've just given you a lecture on HOW TO LIVE when I have no idea what it's like to lose a body part. Just don't feel too sorry for yourself for too long and just keep at it.
