hey /fit/I want to get into parkour, because I have to get around without a car a lot, but I have really terrible upper body strength and not much stamina. How do I increase these things? Two semi-related things: Which is better cardio hour-for-hour -- running, or swimming? And is a 5'4", 110 pound female body shape healthy?
With practice.
>And is a 5'4", 110 pound female body shape healthySounds healthy to me.Find some people already into parkour, they should be able to help you out.
>>153837Specifics would be nice.Should I just fuck around with dumbbells and pushups to increase upper body strength?
running... but umm good luck running for an hour hehe. Swimming works out more muscles but you will get motherfucking starving after a bit of it. Running will make you throw up if you try to eat anything, heh.And as for height/weight there is no problem and you know it.
>>153842So... swimming, then?I'm actually worried about being too muscleless/weedy, thanks. I'm not an anorexic little bitch.
>>153852Start taking testosterone, then. Women aren't supposed to be muscled naturally, that's why your body is full of estrogen and doesn't easily develop large muscles.
dumbbells should be good because they will improve your grip which I'm guessing could be beneficial in parkour. Pull ups and dips would also make sense. Make sure your doing squats too.
>>153853... Isn't there a friendly middle ground between soft and weak, and bulging with tumor-muscles?>>153856How many times a week? I already work out twice a week, but mostly just jogging, situps, and light weights.
>>153835fatass>>153840That's what I'm doing.
>>153852nah I meant do running not swimming. Anyways if you want to get into parkour why would you need to swim? lol.
>>153869For more cardio? Can't ever have too much cardio. Also, it's fun. Thanks /fit/ I guess
