BMI tests are inaccurate as it is, but I'm curious. How many of you fitnessfags are willing to do it? Simple google search gave a simple one that doesn't involve anything but height and weight.
Inaccurate, but interesting.

I'm at a 16.5

Since around 7 years old i've been really skinny, I have REALLY high metabolism because I eat a lot more than my family. Could it be what I'm eating? Diet consists of at least 40% breads and grains, 20% red meats, and the rest being fruits and junk.

You're just more active than them/eat low calorie foods/have a lot of muscle to feed.

Here's the deal. Start with getting more protein, and do some light exercise and brisk walking. assuming you live in my hemisphere, get out and do something before the cold sets in.

I guess I will. To clarify on my food intake, I have 2 pieces of brown toast w/ peanutbutter and 1 average bowl (sigh) of multigrain cheerios before I head to work. When I'm there, I have some granola bars and a few chocolate donuts, and maybe 2 or 3 bananas that I take from the backroom. I then get home and there's usually a meat and potatoes meal, followed a few hours later by another 2 pieces of toast with peanutbutter, if not some fruit I bought.

Basically how it goes for every day.

Not nearly enough protein, even assuming that you have non-friend chicken or steak for dinner once in a while.

You are like me if I'm left to eat what I feel like when I feel like. That's all very low calorie compared to other things you could eat. Do a bit of googling about health high calorie foods, and weight gain. Read as much as you can find until you have it stuck in your brain. Also start reading nutrition labels/looking up nutrition facts. Eventually you sort of instinctively know what to go for.
