So, by consuming less calories than your body requires, you automatically lose weight?
>> Moonmauler !!LgNbdvCFAuN
Usually, but not always. Your body can compensate by lowering your metabolism so your weight stays constant.

If you consume less calories than you body USES then yes, you will lose weight. But what your body requires and what it uses aren't always the same thing.

WEIGHT IS NOT FAT

Depends on when you consume then:
1500 cal in the morning - weight loss.
1500 cal at night - weight gain.
(with no other caloric intake)

These guys are retards.

Yes you body needs x amount of calories to work if you don't get x amount you body gets it from your fat/muscles. If your body uses your fat/muscle you have less fat/muscle and you have lost weight.

Your body isn't some strange beast it is very simple.

how do you get calories from this... unless... oh, that's dirty
>> Moonmauler !!LgNbdvCFAuN
So let's say a 100 pound person who burns 2500 calories a day only ate 2000 a day. That's 3500 calories a week in the negative, which is about a pound of fat. Would he disappear after two years of dieting like this? According to your simple logic he would. But it doesn't work like that.

>Your body isn't some strange beast it is very simple.

The human body is one of the most complicated systems in existence. Calling it very simple is grossly ignorant. When you undereat your body's first response is NOT to burn fat and muscle as fuel. It's first response is to lower its metabolism. The human body hates to lose weight and has a ton of measures to use to prevent it from doing so.

You body lowers its metabolism so you need less calories a day. If you eat even less your body will lower your metabolism more and start burning your fat/muscle and if you keep lowering your calories YOU WILL STARVE TO DEATH.

stop being stupid.Your body is simple your body requires x numbers of calories a day to run (yes that number will adjust but if you keep eating less then that you will die.)

If he kept eating below what he needed then he'd eventually die because he'd have no fat/muscle left to burn so the body would burn the heart.

>So, by consuming less calories than your body requires, you automatically lose weight?
yes, except that your requirements are partiality dependent on your intake (both how much and what)
>> Anonymous
That's correct Op, but don't overdo it, or your body will lower your metabolism. Exercise will fix this.
>> Moonmauler !!LgNbdvCFAuN
>>118253
No. His body would lower his metabolism to compensate. Nobody is gonna starve to death on a 2000 calorie diet, are you crazy?
>> Sponge !!5qxfxHYSQxJ
>>118568

No, if he kept eating 2000 calories and he needed 2500, eventually his body would begin burning into his vital organs and bones: resulting in death.

>>118600
You do know that if he weighed 200 lbs. and his body burned 2500 kcal a day, and he kept eating 2000 kcal, he would loose weight, thus lowering his BMR to 2000kcal eventually, right? He wouldn't fucking die if he kept a constant level of kcal intake, you fucking moron.
>> Sponge !!5qxfxHYSQxJ
>>118610

You fucking idiot.

HIS BODY NEEDS 2K CALORIES. IF HE DOESNT GET 2K CALORIES HIS BODY GETS IT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. IF THERE'S NO FAT, WHAT IS THE BODY GONNA USE?

HEART + BONES

JESUS CHRIST YOU MORON

solution? Eat more smaller meals throughout the day while still consuming less calories= keep your metabolism going AND less calories
>> Anonymous

your body will burn all its fat and muscle long before it turns to your heart and bones.. I belive an average human can live longer than a month without eating ANYTHING. This period would probably be extended for fatties
