Hey /fit/, I was wondering if anyone knew what this was. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera, so I'll just have to explain the symptoms.

I have this rash on my upper arms. It's not blotchy or streaks, instead it's tons of pinprick red dots. There's some on my forearms, too, but only a few. The stuff on my upper arms is really concentrated. They aren't bumps, but a few here and there are a little smaller than a goosebump. They've been on me about a year and they got worse during winter, so I tried some moisturizing lotion. It hasn't changed since then, so about a month and a half. I shower daily, twice daily if I've worked out or gotten sweaty. I had a bit of hormone induced acne in high school that was untreatable, if that's related at all.

That's all I can think of. Anyone know what this is or what to do? I'm low on cash so I'm turning here first before I drop the cash for a dermatologist visit.

could it be eczema, perhaps?

I have the same thing and have seen people with it as well so your not alone. I'm not really sure what it is but I found scrubbing it with a firm brush in the shower helps reduce them

I don't think so. They're all dots, not blotches. That and there's no drying, irritation, burning, itching, nothing out of the ordinary besides the fact it makes me wanna wear long-sleeve shirts.

Its a form of acne. See a dermatologist.

I've done a bit more research on it, and I think you may be right. I may have keratosis pilaris, though mine's not as dramatic as most of the pictures I've found on it. I'm gonna try using an exfoliant on it.

Thanks!

I dunno what this is actually called, but I had/have the same thing too. I bought some Cetaphil (non-comedogenic lotion) and applied it 2x daily. I don't have any more red bumps on my upper arms.
