if you go on a 1000 calorie deficit, you should lose about 2lbs a week, which means you should lose roughly 12 pounds by the end of august.

of course, water weight/lean body mass will fluctuate too, so don't expect perfect results

I dunno about that... I'm only on a 800 calorie deficit and I'm working out for 30-60 min per day.

I've been losing ~5 pounds a week, and I was pretty fit to begin with...

op here

well im around 125 pounds and really short (female of course) so with all the extra weight i look squat. i was hoping to get down to maybe 110 pounds at the end of everything, which would be a healthy weight, but i'll be very busy at the end of the summer so i'm concerned i won't even be able to drop 12 pounds.

that's all water weight. expect that to plateau soon. 5 pounds of real weight a week is seriously, seriously unhealthy, unless you're morbidly obese and just starting a workout regimen.

at any rate, keep in mind that if your fat loss and your lean body mass increase cancel out (so that your weight stays the same) you'll still LOOK like a guy who lose 12 pounds

I'm female too, and the person who posted above (losing ~5 a week)

I only started about 2 weeks ago at 125ish, and I'm about 117 now. I'm 5'9".

However, I've been working out everyday, which I won't be able to much longer. They key is eating right.

That doesn't mean an apple here or there, that means every meal. If you stick to that you'll lose weight, guaranteed.

Just exercise when you can. If you know you'll miss a day or two, exercise longer on the days that you can.

You should be able to lose at least 10 pounds by then on simply eating right, if not more. The exercise is what will push it over

generally you don't want to go above 2lbs weight loss a week, so if you're really just looking to drop 15 pounds, it's kinda out of the question. sorry.

however, it's a lot easier to visualize this shit in terms of body fat percentage, or just good ol-fashioned looks. i think a month and a half is enough time to look like you're starting to lean down.
