Carbs Anonymous
Im 6'0 and about 155 lbs.
Ive been working out quite a bit lately, drinking protein shakes every day n all that.
But what i really want is to gain more weight to turn to muscle. ( preff around chest)
The protein ive been using is the 100% whey powder, read good reviews n all that.

But to gain more weight for muscle, do i need more carbs? Like take in more granola, bread , oatmeal? Stuff like this?
Thanks

pic unrelated..

You want to have a good balance of your calories come from proteins, carbs, and fats.

Google something called 'macronutrient ratios', which will give you multiple articles.

A lot of people use a 40% carbs, 40% proteins, and 20% fat for their calorie breakup.

That is what you need to gain optimal muscle.
