Soup, /fit/.

Skinnyfag here. 155 pounds and gaining... I've been actively hitting the gym for about 2 months and been doing a fairly effective routine. Off the bat I do not have separate days for different muscles. I have two types of days - upper and lower body.

Let me further explain.

Upper Body Day:
Bicep Curls using different variations - 5 sets 6 reps.
Flat Bench Press - 5 sets 6 reps.
Dumbell flys.
Tricep Extensions/Pushdowns - 5 sets - 6 reps

(Here's where it changes. I do upper body 3 days a week, 24 hour rest between. On day 1 I will add shoulders and do a shoulder press atop of this routine. On day 3 I will do back and do rows and pullups, on day 5 I will do back again)

Lower body is between my upper body days.

Working your upper and lower body groups 3 times a week is never a good idea, each muscle group needs ATLEAST 48 hour rest. But if its working for you, keep on truggin.

OP here, I rest one day a week.

So if I do an upper body on Tuesday at 2:00PM

I will be properly rested for Wednesday at 2:00PM, right?

Sorry, I meant Thursday.

Monday and Thursday 48 hour difference. I think my routine is alright then.

ARG. You know what I mean. Tuesday upper body workout, do legs (SQUATS) on Wednesday and upper body on Thursday again. ;)
