Yo /fit/,

Today in class after coming outside I noticed this thing on my arm that looked like a really big mosquito bite, 2 in fact. They were kind of 'blobby' in shape and itched a lot, so I asked the teacher if I could get some medicine. I went and got some kind of topical anti-itching and bacteria killing medicine (I think that's what it was) and applied it directly to the bites. After class, I got an Ice Pack from the teacher since in her mind it would prevent swelling, which it may indeed have.

The glob has turned into a bump with a slight red ring-like circle around it. It's barely noticeable and you have to strain your eyes to see it. Do you think that this may be Lyme disease? Pics attached. You can barely see it.

OP back.

Before I tried protip, I noticed that the bump(s) were hot to the touch? Does this add anything?

inflammation response

its a 'primary stage response' of the body to an infection
this is GOOD, altho it means you were bit by something serious...do my protip asap before it can swell/spread

still keep the hot, wet compress on it. draw all the infection towards teh surface, not into the system

pop any boil 'heads' before they become infectious. keep hands clean, etc

"it's not a zit. it's probably a bot fly larvae. they live under the skin & cause serious swelling like that that white thing in the middle is the larvae. don't believe me, look it up"

I went to the doctor and he said it was a histamine reaction or Cellulitis. Im already on Keflex, so I dont need any other meds.
