>>139290 EXACTLY my point. using rewards is a great behavior modification tool. in this case, rewards can be a friday night with a few beers. or an occasional slice of cake. or delaying a workout a day or so to spend time with family/friends/boink-mate.
don't get all bent about an occasional cheat/reward. moderation in all things, including exercise*.
but daily rewards and cheats, nope. can't have. learn the discipline and control and then the rest becomes pretty easy.
*i >facepalm< everytime i see some one come in with an "i need to lose 50 lbs in 2 months. /fit/ tell me how". while it's possible to do this, actually doing so is so far beyond even and extreme level of commitment, you just know how badly it will turn out.
likewise, people whose lives already revolve around working out every day, it's just a little too much. take a day off. relax. miss a workout occasionally. i promise, the gym will be there the next day.
