what do you think about raw eggs? (in b4 rockyfag)

i hear that they are good for you, but i hear from others that they are bad for you. I usually have 3-4 raw eggs (no yolk) mixed with milk just after my workout.

also pumpkin seeds. apparently really high in protein?

advise me /fit/masters

Raw is supposed to have good nutrients but get destroyed if you cook them. on the other hand raw will give you less protein (4 g) than cooked (6+g)

You want to keep the yolks in the eggs you use because they have most of the nutrients in them. Most eggs are pasteurized and refrigerated so the risk of salmonella is low, but still present. If you're looking for a calcium boost, egg shells are 94% calcium carbonate. Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds and most any kind of nut are good for you because of their protein content. Just be sure to avoid any with high amounts of sodium.

Without protein in eggs I probably wouldn't even eat them(and I'm guessing a lot of people feel the same way), so cooking them is obviously best for me.

so eggs don't actually have much protein? fuck.

what food is best for protein? avoiding like whole meals, just something easy to eat after working out

Eggs are still the best protein bang for your buck. There is always Whey powder too.

I got this. I eat raw cake batter all the fucking time. But I've only had it once, and it was worth it. ;_;

>>43770Umm no. Eggs are better source or protein than most precieved high protein stuff like milk/cheese. It's also cheaper.

Also most protein (whey&ceasin) from milk is not absorbed during digestion. I think i saw numbers that only 30% of whey in milk gets absorbed.

Still eggs come up to be more economical.

the chance for salmonella could be 1 in a 1000, or more, or less, don't really know. but it's there.

chicken eggs are rated as the almost essentially the best source of nutrition, everything in it. but be careful, don't chug a bunch a daily, you can develop a severe allergy to the protein in it and lose your cheap efficient protein. don't overdo it.

i heard a guy did this once, like 6 every morning for months or something. then found it it was a bad idea, layed off completely, and all the egg proteins exited from his system. later an accidental touch of cake icing set him off, keeled him over and was hospitalized. i really wish i had the source of this, so i could say something more solidly referenced. basically it's like it was entirely out of his system, and then body insisted it stay that way, treating as a severe allergic reaction.

take breaks for a few days from protein sources. the same proteins every day aren't good. cycle through your favorite alternatives, fish, baked chicken, vegetarians sources, etc.

I know this ain't /ck/ but how can I make a cooked egg that does not taste and smell like shit?

I eat a crap load of raw eggs. Varies, from like maybe 3-4 post work out, after that maybe 2-3 eggs 2-3 times a day. No complaints. I tried to get my girlfriend on it however and she gets bad cramps from it. I guess shes allergic to it now, lolz. BTW, always eat the yolk as the egg white has a very efficient biotin binder (an essential nutrient). Egg yellows are a rich source of biotin, so it more than compensates.
