Sup /fit/, My girlfriend just broke up with me. We were together for almost a year and she came out and told me that she wanted to break up. I'm not sure why, I think its because we never did much. But now I oddly have the inspiration to start working out and getting into shape. When I first got with her I was 167, Now im 190.

Never make women your ultimate goal my friend. You're just raising them up higher and higher on the little pedestal you've created for them. Get in shape for yourself, improve your confidence, health, overall quality of life. -Then- as a possible side effect to these great things, you may find a decent partner. Don't obsess over having another person around to complete you. You are complete by yourself. Anyone sharing you is an added bonus.

You want to get in shape, that's fantastic. But one thing you need to remember; do not work out for anybody but yourself, you have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself.

Start eating breakfast, but don't go and overload yourself with a lot since you don't eat breakfast regularly. Low fat/non fat yogurt and fruit is good and light but tie it together with some substance like toast. Gradually get your body used to eating regularly first before trying to cram a lot of protein in your body.

Walks are wonderful for clearing your head but at 190 you will need some more intense cardio. take up bike riding or check out your local rec center (I'm sure your town has one) and use some of the machines there. Get your heart rate up to 170+ and keep it there.

Disclaimer: I am no professional nor am I an expert, this is just what is what worked for me when I was starting out.

PS: Oh, switch to diet/"zero" soda and increase your water intake.

No. Just buy some in bulk and eat a measuring cups worth every morning. It's complex carbs which will give you sustained energy and keep you from getting as hungry. Breakfast breaks the fast. When you don't do that you will gorge when you finally do eat.
