Sometimes I do Yoga before bed time. Never had a problem with it.

I wouldn't personally because I sweat like a motherfucker. But if you don't/don't care, then go crazy. Any time is a good time to get a workout in.

Try it and find out.

Things like exercise or eating before sleep can cause some people to be restless at night, wake up, etc. If you don't have problems sleeping, there aren't problems.

The main reason people say not to work out before bed is the whole it can make it difficult to fall asleep thing. But if you can sleep fine afterwards then there shouldn't be any problem, just make sure it doesn't go workout, eat, sleep or you'll slow down your metabolism.

best in the morning, slightly better results. night is kinda worst though, artificial light fucks up the body's natural rhythm. if you have no choice, ok. but earlier in the evening is better.

Can anyone confirm/deny/cite some other source for this artificial light thing? It sounds like hocus-pocus to me, but there might be something to it.

Yeah if you, like, didn't get touched at all by the sun for a whole week.

ITT, we know jack shit about human biology.

I work out 3 times a week and usually cram it in at night around 10pm. It's not ideal but gets the job done for me, I don't have any trouble sleeping.

Depends what your goals are I guess.

What's the point? Your body doesn't have any protein or nutrients to repair the muscle overnight, and thus they will just catabolize and you've wasted energy. Congratulations.

It's about as hocus-pocus as it gets.

Question somewhat related:

I heard from a friend that if you run downhill as fast as you can, and then fall asleep right away, you'll dream you're flying. I don't know much about human psychology, but I do know that you tend to continue thinking about whatever you were focusing on after you fall asleep.

My friend said he tried it and it worked. Anyone else want to try it?

Uhh a great deal of repair is done while you sleep.

Why exactly eating before sleep slows your metabolism down?
I thought eating after a work out was beneficial
