I am an enormous fat guy. Im not sure about my weight, but Im fairly certain its over 400 lbs.
I've lost weight before, and I know what it takes to become healthy, ie... eat right foods, exercise daily. I just can't bring myself to do so!
I have a night schedule where I usually dont get up til about 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
I always feel totally unmotivated to make any attempt to eat right or exercise.
I know Im a bag of shit for posting something like this, but anyone have any sort of advice or inspirations?

We can't motivate you. Just start, and you'll get hooked. I don't know if it's the chemicals being released in the brain or what it becomes easier and easier until you will do anything not to miss a workout.

Go right now and throw away all the junk you know you should.

Next go write up a tough but realistic workout plan, or find a good one online.

Then (this is the big one), set a new rule: "I not allowed to fap unless I exercise first."

It's a very specific rule that doesn't give you any wiggle room to talk yourself out of doing what you should.

Normal bullshit excuses like "I don't feel good" or "But I'll get all sweaty" or "I don't have time" don't work.

Don't feel good? Fine...then you don't feel good enough to fap either.

Worried about getting all sweaty? Well fapping would do the same thing, so you best not do either then, eh?

Don't have time to workout? Then guess what else you don't have time to do? Fap.

You'll look awesome in no time; it's all the motivation you need.

* Alright, I want you to imagine your goal body. Now look at yourself in the mirror and realize you're a fat sack of shit and I really mean no disrespect to you: just realize this. Realize you're going to die much earlier and MUCH unhappier if you don't make a lifestyle change.

I was 213lbs in the 8th grade so I know what it is like to be fat/obese. I'm now 175lbs and going to my 3rd bodybuilding competition this summer. I get laid: a lot. I'm so much more confident and I love helping people get from where I used to be to where I am now. So, get off the fucking computer chair and pick up Tom Venuto's "Burn the fat, feed the muscle". It's a great starting point and was a big turning point in how I sculpted my physique.

that fap rule sounds good in theory but I know I don't fap anymore. Maybe it's just me, but after I had my first relationship, awhile back, I haven't fapped since then.

OP here, Wow, you guys rock, a lot of good stuff so far. I just was reading about the velocity diet, I know it sounds extreme, but I think I could hack it. Im better at minding what I eat over finding time to exercise. I dunno... your thoughts? also, more pics of me stuffing my fat face with cookies, lulz

Think about how incredibly awesome you will look and feel once you've lost some weight. Do you have pictures of you when you weighed less? Post them near your computer and other places, remind yourself that you did it before with your pictures.

It might also help to keep track of what you're eating each day and add up the calories and fat to show yourself how much over the daily recommended for you you're going over. Sometimes I just don't even realize that I have gone well out of bounds even though it seems like I didn't eat that badly. Plus you might start looking at your lists and realizing you're eating too much junk food and be motivated that way.

i promise that you can't handle velocity. don't even try to start it. you'll get less than a week into it and get frustrated and then rebound back into fatty habits even harder. velocity works best with people who have already have dedicated exercise programs and have experience with how both exercise and dieting change their body. you have neither.

you will not be ready for the insane cravings, the lack of solid food, the constant diarrhea (despite the bulk fiber products you're supposed ingest), the cramps, gas, and generally feeling shitty.

in short, you've never exhibited any willpower before in your life. what makes you think you can start with something that requires a significant amount?

walk before you run. start walking 30 minutes a day. cut the crap out of your diet and get some real expectations about what you're willing to do to change your body.

OP here, I did lose a bunch of weight before. I lost 120 lbs in approx 9 months. I was doing body for life at the time, which worked out great, I stuck to the eating thing real well.
Here's the kicker tho, I was working at a furniture company delivering sofas and armours for 50 hours a week. I was getting constant exercise.
The bummer is that it paid for shit, and I went to another job where I work at night and sleep all day and sit on my ass at work (does pay a ton tho).
My doctor said that he wont prescribe me any magical pills (I quit smoking on chantix last month). But he is kinda pushing me into the gastric by-pass direction.
Is having by-pass surgery a cop out? am I just being a total fag about this? Im starting to think I am.
