It's going to hurt...lots.I should mention that I'm 26 and getting that high is NOT easy. If you want to get that high, the best advice I can give is to watch your form. Lots of people abandon leg stregnth exercises because they injure themselves or are not focusing on using the right muscles for the right lift. Trust your form and focus. Your legs have lots of stored glyco, so try to go to failure when you can (spotted and have safety rack).

Some people go barefoot because they feel more comfortable in a more natural plant than with a shoe (adjusted arch, foot arch in front of shoe, etc.). I say to each their own. Everyone knows their own body mechanics better. Just watch your toes with those 45 plates!
