Hey /fit/

I have a gut, but it's not THAT bad, it shows but it's not really noticeable under a shirt. My midsection is slimer, but towards the 6 pack there is a belly. So, the problem is it hangs loose when I'm push up position, or missionary position. How do I shave the fat off off there, or at lease make it firm enough not to hang loose when I'm having sex.

Firstly plan your fucking diet, you need to create before you start ANY trainning aim for a calorie deficit where your burning more fat than your eating. Then i would suggest for the stomach area doing crunches some people swear by sit-up i dont however. Do 20-30 crunches a night and rince and repeat through the week and you'll start to lose abit of weight. Also wise tip start doing running aswell

OP here, back from my day at school and work and kinda sad to see there's no real miracle solution. She invited me to sleep over fucking TOMORROW god damn, I can't lose that hanging fat gut in a day... or can I ?

Any other tips ? Also, what is good to eat and what is not ?

not to totally hijack, but in trying to lose fat, is straight up cardio better, or tabata intervals? I've heard good things about the latter, but I'm not looking to improve my anaerobic preformance.

youve left it to late. you now have a problem that is not a easy fix.

you best bet is cardio, unfortunately. get walking running rowing cycling, but get off your fat ass.

after you have gotten up, change your diet, lean meat, vegies, no soda, beers or sugery hit for 3 months.

if you want to hit the weights, do that to, core building exercises, such as deadlifts, squats, bench press, military presses, lunges, will all give you back some muscle tone and assist with weight loss.

TL;DR: diet + exercise.

HIIT / Tabata can have a higher effect and less time if you put in the effort and are able to do it correctly. However for starting out just straight cardio for a few weeks is probably preferred. But once you are able I would suggest HIIT, but its still preference. Since how you think about your workout(want to just do it and go constant steady pace and kind of think? or do you want to put the pressure of just "10 more seconds" then "another 30, c'mon I can do this" in a shorter time frame though?) and the amount of effort you put into it maters.

OP here, don't get my wrong, I watch what I eat. At least, I try to. Everyday, I run for 20 mins on an elliptical trainer (5.25km), I do squats, 3x10 at 30lbs. I also do like 2-3 minutes of planks. I eat oatmeal after that every morning, then I eat an omelet with cheese and vegetables for dinner, then I eat whatever is for supper, or I eat cereals or oatmeal if it's too unhealthy. I drink LOTS of water everyday. I've seen a drop of about 15-20lbs in the past month.

I just need that fat to be either more firm or not hang as much. Also, I am starting HIIT running tomorrow, as well has crunches.

stop drinking beer/soda and do 1 day on 1 day off of basic cals like: bw squats, crunches or leg lifts, pushups and pullups
