The small portion of /fit/ that are men knows very well that squats are psychologicly demanding. One doesn't simply relax during a squat.

How do you summon 100% of your efforts during a squat?
Personally, i just think about reaching a 200lb squat, while i am doing 160 now. Or just concentrate on keeping perfect form.

i don't think about it, i just do it. The surcease from pain is almost an ecstasy in itself, approaching orgasmic in its intensity. It helps that squats are my favorite, followed closely by rdl and hacks.

That said, playing some amon amarth loud as shit halps. That and being straight up used to it; i remember back in the day I had trouble going all out. Now I'm a fucking loud and vicious animal (read: douchebag), and I don't have any problems
