Graveyard Shift johnny !N8Yn.I/WbM
OK /fit/. I have a question about nutrition.

Here's a little info about me:
-I am a thin person, but I do not work out, nor do I intend to.
-I work midnight shift at a job in which I'm always moving and never sitting, 8 hours a day.
-I bike 6 miles to work, and 6miles back. Half of it is uphill, so I break a sweat.
-I have a great metabolism, and I am able to gorge myself on delicious fatty food about twice a month without gaining any weight.

My question is: What foods should I eat to maintain a steady level of energy throughout the day? I need help building a diet to keep me on my toes. Lately I've felt as though my breakfast was lacking in something, which made me sleepy and tired halfway through my shift.

1) Is it ok if I eat a lot of CORN tortillas? I'm a /ck/ fag, so I plan on grinding the corn myself, and making a bunch of masa each week. Making them is cheap, and storing them is easy. Besides, I heard it's healthy, nutritious, and great for energy. Is this true?

2) What should my breakfast consist of? I plan on eating a big breakfast with a lot of tortillas in it, and two apples for the road. For example, today I had 6 tortillas, 1 egg, and a side of spanish-style sausage, orange jucie, and an apple.

3) How much sugar should I include in my diet, and in what forms? Keep in mind that I'm not watching my weight, just my energy levels.

Cut the sausage, cut the juice, 6 tortillas? Jesus christ. Oats are good. Fruits are good. Try maybe 2 eggs, or egg whites instead. Also I recommend a Fiber One cereal or something that could fill you up like that. Sugar ~ 40-60 g a day

corn tortillas are normally about 1/3rd the size of normal burrito flour tortillas.

Don't eat the tortilla. Eat fruit, Oatz, and Eggs for breakfast. That will keep you energized for awhile. Sugarfree redbull would give you a buzz but you could just eat healthy and drink water and feel the same.

Lol, why should I cut the sausage? I know this is /fit/, but I'm not afraid of fat lol. Besides, I only have sausage once every few days. And it's not even a lot.

>>oats
>>>>egg whites
>>>>>>fiber one

;___; common /fit/, I know there's a way to get energy without giving up flavor. ...or maybe I'm asking the wrong crowd...

Yawwwwn...

Eat your tortillas, bro. They have plenty of carbs, but that shouldn't be a problem considering you're not trying to lose weight - Just maintain.

For your breakfast, I suggest your lose the sausage, save the apple, and some juice in a container and have it some other time as a snack. You don't HAVE to lose the sausage but I find they usually contain a lot of fat. Not a problem if you don't go over board a day, but that's just my opinion.

Also, I would say, yes, you're asking the wrong crowd.
I've been going to /fit/ for quite a long time now and the more and more you pick up on nutrition and how your body works you begin to realize that just about 70% of people on this board give either false or just plain-old-bad-advice. Nobody can really tell you what you HAVE to be eating. The answer is too complicated; It can't be answered by a simple input on your part.

This board is full of bullshitters who think they know a thing about nutrition - Always giving advice that would only be fit for someone either trying to lose weight or bulk-up.

But as a person whose actually been through this mess I tell you, eat what you've been eating. You say you have a high metabolism and that weight-gaining isn't a problem to you. As for your question - Are tortillas healthy? They can be. Chances are, they're a lot healthier if you make them at home as they wouldn't be packed in preservatives and sodium. Whole grain tortillas are always very hearty.
