I just had a knee reconstruction. The doc also removed around 50% of one lateral meniscus,

Will I ever squat again? Is it advised to change to the dreaded leg press?

I have an appointment next week to see the doc but the wait is killing me.

Something you should ask your doctor.

actually, no.

they will cover their asses by recommending ABSOLUTE MINIMALISM

if the world's athletes always listened to their doctor's "recommendation", our olympic records would still look like the results of the '36 games.

TL DR: you have no limit, sure it wont be original genetic potential, but its certainly above what the DOC says.

and yes, i am a professional
and yes, i had a similar situation (torn rotator cuff, shredded labrum) doc says 'only pushups' and that the shoulder 'will not hold' more than 95lbs....

sure you'll be able to squat again
maybe it would be a good idea to switch to a powerlifting style squat

I would go see a chiropractor.
