Popped shoulder Anonymous
During a fight I hit the floor kinda unfortunate, right on my right arm. I didn't notice it at the time because I was drunk, but the next morning my shoulder was hurting like a bitch. Then I remembered: I have popped it. What I mean is, I didn't dislocate it per se, it just kinda jumped out of the shoulder socket and back in. Now that was in February of last year.

To this day, it still occasionally jumps out and back when I make really sudden moves with it, like when I was waving my arms during the European Football Championsleague. This condition also limits the range of exercises I can do, especially with barbels since my shoulder gets more and more unstable the more weight I lift and the wider I swing my arm.

I've visited a sport-chiropractitian, but he just basically said that it would heal over time and I should just strengthen my shoulder muscles. Well I lift pretty much weight on certain machines and with certain exercises, but it still doesn't change the fact that the right shoulder feels unnaturally strained whenever I try to do some freehand barbels.

So, I dunno, anybody have similar conditions or know of any useful information regarding my situation?

There's not much you can do but let it heal. I don't think anybody here can really help you out more than a doctor.

Fixed.

you could consider seeing an actual doctor. but chances are it won't really heal unless you stop using it for a while.

look up shoulder cuff exercises. It will fix the three little muscles that support the joint. And until its healed, do not load it up with curls, bench, pullups, etc... in fact, just take a week and treat it like a dislocation... lifting nothing more than 10 lbs.
