Not very. It's mostly a little tire around my stomach, my limbs and face are pretty regular, if not thin looking.

That's absurd, u can't calculate BMI for both men/women only on height/weight lol.
Pic related - it's me and my 'supposed' 23.1 BMI.

25.7, looking to get down to 13.

>>101323

.. 23.1 is a "normal weight," why do you think that doesn't apply to you?

Anyway, there's a caveat listed on the site - it doesn't apply to people who are very muscular or have no muscle at all.

Wow these BMI guides so far are ALL full of shit.
>> Anonymous
>>101325
was giving an example, 2 people can have same weight/height ratio and be fit/fat. Some have heavier bones and fat weights more than muscle.
>> Anonymous
This just in: BMI is just a gross guideline for weight.

Bodyfat%>BMI>weight
>> Anonymous
edit: fat weights less* than muscle

They're telling me my BMI is 17.5

129 at 6' is quite underweight.

Not really, if muscle makes up a lot of your BMI. I read somewhere that your abs should become visible when you fat% is below 8%.

BMI is a worthless metric. For example, Ahnold in his prime had a BMI over 30, which would make him obese.

Also, I'm 24.9 in BMI and on my way further down. That being said, there's no way I'll ever reach my "ideal weight" according to BMI because I've too much muscle.

It's just like a scale, meaning it doesn't take into consideration bone density or muscle mass. Both are just estimation tools. Your best tool for measuring body fat is a mirror.

sounds about right for me; slightly built, but also pretty fuckin skinny

It's frequently touted as useless for bodybuilders.

So don't use it for bodybuilders.

I'm 20.3.
>> Anonymous
Apparently I'm 23.5.
I'm 5'6" and skinny, little fat or muscle. I think maybe I have really dense bones or something, most people are surprised when I tell them I'm 10stone 6 (146 pounds)

or really for any athlete (e.g., Lance Armstrong in the 93 tour de france being classified as "overweight") or old person (less lean body mass)

It is useful for 99.9% of the people out there who are not 220 pound bodybuilders lol

bmi is only applicable for large populations and not individuals. It doesn't take into account bf% and therefore is epic fail

21.92 according to Wii Fit. Apparently I'm perfect (lol).

I have a really wide-shoulder frame, and therefore have more bone mass than the average person (lol big boned) so mine's way off.
