Hey /f/ I got a question.

If I lift heavy on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Would it be OK for me to lift light on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

Oh sorry. I meant /fit/

Also would it be OK for me to be taking boxing classes right after I lifted?

why dont you try it and see how you perform and feel.

I lift back to back 2 days, day break, lift two more days, then 2 days of rest. But, the rest days i do cardio, just dont lift. Works for me.

I work out 6 or 7 days a week, and take breaks when my body needs them. I also train what I want/feel like needs trained on a day.

I've been lifting for years, so I don't necessarily recommend you try this. I used to follow a set routine of Chest+Back, Arms, Shoulders+Lats, Legs and work out 3-6 times a week.

Just a little while ago I worked out 16 days straight. On the 17th day my body felt like it needed a rest, so I rested.

tl;dr - Try it and if it works, you can do it. The longer you exercise, the more you can train consecutively. Build up to it.

If you go by how your body feels then you are overdoing it. Muscle isn't made in the gym, it's made at rest. Resting is what you should be doing 3/4 of the time.

Respectfully disagree with how much rest you are recommending.

Though a 90 minute workout followed by 8 hours of sleep followed by some 10 hours of not working out does constitute rest. = )

I bet you also plateau easily too.

No. Very few people can lift on consecutive days successfully and half of them are lying.
