Squat hand position, got a problem there dear /fit/izens.

I can't hold my arms back enough to have a straight grip(pic related, it needs to be the first one, mines more like the second example thought), which I should, according to the bible of /fit/ (starting strength)

So my question,

does this fix itself later with practice(I just started squating like a week or so ago, so my body isn't used to it yet, or am I going to completely fuck up my wrists?

In a good squat, you don't put that much weight on your hands anyway. They mostly hold the bar in place, while your shoulders bear the load.

Thumbless grip is needed I believe.

Try and force your self to make it more look like the first one, thumb-less grip may help, that way you wont get any wrist pains
