Sup /fit/

I'm 18, 6'2'' and about 240 and looking to lose some weight, hopefully get down to 200, possibly 180 in the long run. I'm not overly interested in building much muscle moreso losing fat. I've been biking about 8 miles per day for a while, havn't seen much. Any tips for losing fat?

You won't see any change if you're ramping up caloric intake to meet the burn. Watch what you're eating, don't go on a diet per say. If you're not completely comfortable eating what you eat on a regular basis, then anything you do will be temporary.

But I'm betting you drink sodas and eat junk food. Stop doing that, start looking at things you can make yourself with fresh ingredients. Also while you're not interested in building muscle, having muscle at all will burn more calories while you're resting than if you have no muscle. Go and lift weights to build up muscles somewhat.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU LOSE WEIGHT?
Eat less you stupid shit!
Stop going to McDonald's, and other fast food places first of all.
Stop drinking sodas, and high fructose corn syrup sweetened drinks.
Lift weights. LIFT WEIGTHS! Losing weight becomes MUCH easier.
3500 calories = 1 lb of fat.
1g fat = 9 calories
1g carbohydrates = 4 calories
1g protein = 4 calories
1g alcohol = 7 calories (beer belly, now you understand the term?)
Stop weighing your self every day. Water weighs 8.33 pounds per gallon, so Instead of weighing your self every day, at different times and being shocked at the difference in weight after a meal, or a few glasses of water. Weigh your self once per week upon waking up.
No you did not gain 2 pounds of fat from a cheat meal unless you ate a gallon of double fudge ice cream with chocolate sprinkles and whip cream.
There is a difference between losing weight a healthy way and an unhealthy way. Aim to loose 1-2 pounds of fat per week.
As for the picture it's the magical mathematical formula on how to loose weight. You can do 2 hours of cardio per day but if you eat over 9000 calories per day you probably wont lose any weight.
Can’t stop eating? Shove some celery sticks down your throat, or learn some self control.

While I agree with the post, couldn't he have plateau'd?

I mean, the fact that he's not losing weight doesn't mean he's shoving food into his mouth does it?

Looking only at the immediate, you need to investigate how long it takes you to do 8 miles. Anyone can do 8 miles lolly gagging and if thats you, try to either increase the mileage in the same amount of time, decrease the amount of time it takes.

In the more broad sense, take a look at your diet and if you have more time workout.
