Hey /fit/
I just can't get fucking motivated.
I want to start working out more again, but I always lose motivation like, 4 weeks in. And then I think about doing more, but do I ever? No.
I know I'm not the only one with this problem, and I'm happy I'm not a colossal fat ass, but jesus christ, how do I keep myself motivated?
I should mention that this in not entirely about aesthetics, I just always envy people who are toned, I think it's really admirable to stay that way.
I'm going for a run right now, but I'm hoping /fit/ will have suggestions.

We can't help you with this. I believe motivation and desire is a completely personal thing. The only way around this is to do it, and get into the habit of doing it.

If you actully want the results, you wont need motivation.

Sorry, I see what you mean totally.
I shoul dhave asked what /fit/ does to help themselves keep a strict regime.

You have to WANT to do it. There is nothing you can do but get on with the grind no matter how shitty you feel. Everyone has off days I'm sure you'll feel better about yourself after your run.

Sorry, I didn't mean in an offensive way, although I can see why someone might take it in that manner!

The reason I work out continually is becaue I simply want to have a great body. It might not be the best reason but I love it when I get compliments on something that means a lot to me (eg my body). I also feel amazing after each workout - I remember the time I worked out PROPERLY for the first time, I had never experienced anything like it. So um yeah, that's it really!

I know what you mean, I always feel so good after seeing progress, but then I think I get into the mindset of "alright, I've reached my goal, now I can just watch what I eat." I'm going to try to stay on track though, I think it'll be easier when school starts again so I can go for runs in between classes.

Just stop being lazy you undesirable blobaroid, I don't get it - what do you expect us to say? You just have to make exercise a habit, Just like you get up in the morning and brush your teeth (hopefully) you have to make yourself exercise and treat it in the same matter you treat daily habits.

Just Do It. (TM)

Not only the DOMS the morning after, the massive adrenaline rush. For around half an hour i was truly exhilarated. DOMS is just something to remind you of how well you pushed yourself.

Delayed onset muscle soreness. Its weakness leaving your body, enjoy it.

OP I have the same problem as you.
My body is a bit slimmer than yours but I have some of that pudge in my belly as well. At times I feel unmotivated as well but it you stop/cheat/whatever you'll just slow yourself down and take longer reaching your goal, this is what has kept me on track for the past month or so. I used to quit thinking that I didn't see any results but I guess for me it just takes time.
I used to be 130lbs and I lost the weight randomly when I went to college now I'm 115~118 (I've been putting on some muscle mass since I was really weak)

Truth. To make things better, they've been playing the games on the screens at the gym.
