I'm going vegetarian and was wondering what the health benefits REALLY are.
Also, some tips on what to eat would be appreciated too.

Thanks

there are some benefits. If you decide to be a vegetarian then there will be no midnight mc donalds runs no matter what. Cutting back on meat SHOULD help you have better eating habits unless you do what a lot of vegetarians do and just sit around eating potato chips and cheese pizza. So don't do that. I would say the best thing you could do is cut out dairy and continue eating meat.

Seems like you already made your mind, probably because of some furfag reason.
Benefits?, no there aren't any benefits to restricting your diet to turtle food.

thanks. i've mainly been thinking about what to eat. want to keep a normal amount of nutrients and all that but sorta leave out meat just as a...hm...self-experiment i guess. nothing really moral about it. just feel like changing up my normal life.

Out of all the reasons to become a vegetarian that has to be one of the most retarded I've ever heard.

I read this the other day, if you want a reason to become vegetarian:

Also, how cows are raised is pretty bad these days.

Basically, cows are no longer put in a field and allowed to graze on grass like they're meant to. They're put in a feed lot and given grain. Cows' stomachs aren't made to digest grain. Their stomachs turn sour. In response, they're given antibiotics. Why? Grain fed cows make for a better steak than grass fed cows.

lower cholesterol.
lower risk of cancer and heart disease
lower risk of impotence

make sure you get enough iron and b12. consider supplementing. Also, a common mistake is that people substitute grains for the meat they used to eat. This is a horrible solution and the reason many vegetarians are not healthier than omnivores. Get plenty of complete protein sources, and make sure you are getting enough fat in your diet since meat is also a common source.

-tofu (extra firm)
-peanut butter
-dairy (if you arent vegan)
-beans
-hemp seed

Well that and grazing cows produce 40% more methane into the atmosphere.

So hey, your choice. Save the cows, or save the atmosphere.

Enjoy not getting everything your body needs.

Dumbass vegetarians and their holier-than-thou "healthy" decisions. Fuck you, and fuck animals. They are delicious. I'm glad you don't eat meat, because that means there's more for me. Just don't go around acting like you've made a smart choice or try to convice others to join you.

Fucking fags.

Good for you! Finally someone who cares for the well being of animals. But did you know that farmers throw shit at plants to make them grow? How degrading is that! Stop eating salads now! Eat rocks!

Vegetarian diets are better for your heart if your family has a history of heart disease.
