Yup. You'll find that the upper body often works in opposites: what hits your triceps (push exercises) usually hits your chest, too. What hits your biceps (pull exercises) usually hits your lats/upper back, too. In this case, the "pull" exercise of a deep pushup (actually a "fall" exercise) is working against your bodyweight assisted by gravity, while the "push" exercise is working against your bodyweight AND gravity. So it's a full upper-body workout.
