Hey /fit/ i've been lurking here for a while and been thinking about getting afew excess pounds off. I don't want to be muscle man or anything just average and prehaps toned arms. Nothing that I will have to maintain too much (as I will be going travelling soon). And also I just quit smoking after 8 months. I'm 18 btw.

I have acess to weights and could get access to the gym too.

I'm male, 145 lb and 1.8 meters (5"10) and my BMI is 20.3. I've been looking at HIIT but i don't really know where to start with that. At my house I have weights (2 handed weights that you life from below, and 1 handed regular weights and a skipping rope).

I don't care what foods I eat really, if you could advise me on

A) On what exercizes would be best for me
B) If you should start HIIT as soon as you start to exercize
C) What foods

Id be greatful if you would help me /fit/!

You're 5 10 and 145 lbs. You must have no muscles, because I'm 5 9 and 165 with a small gut. I bike a lot and hike.

YOU NEED MOOOOAA SKWWAATZ BOY

There's no exercise that you can just do for a quick minute and then expect to be there without constant effort. If you are on the road a lot and have no constant access to a gym, then sets of pushups, crunches, and squats will be good unless you plan on carrying dumbells wherever you go.

As for HIT training it works for those who know how to concentrate that particular muscle that you are trying to workout to overload. If not then it becomes a bit pointless to go for HIT training.

Oops you mean HIIT.

If you've been smoking and try HIIT, I can see you rolling off the treadmill.

just go to gym workout most muscles in your body, then eat right.

then before you reach that zone of arnold or ronny coleman, which will never happen, you will be in the middle phase where everything is akward. and that sounds like where you want to be. seriously you can trying shitting out blood coated shit in effort, but it's so hard to see any gain so don't worry about getting too big.

Set sail for fail. Diet is more important than exercise for both weight gain and loss.
