sup /fit/, I'm new. Quick question so I know what to set my goals. How long do you think it will take me to go from ~200 pounds at 30+% body fat to at least skinny and toned? Should I be able to do this is ~6 months or longer? I know it differs for everyone.

Depends on your metabolism/diet. Yes it is possible for anyone, but the main idea is that the junk food eating needs to become nonexistant. Yes, you eat a lot of junk food, and it's not easy reconditioning yourself to eat a way that you do not usually do, but you *have* to condition yourself to eating (and enjoying) healthy, hardy foods, or you are going to have this problem for the rest of your life. For every person who is blessed to be naturally thin regardless of the shit they choke down, there are 50 people who have to watch what they eat to have a similarly slender body (you're definitely not alone in this struggle!).

Once you've done it for a while, healthy food becomes your new comfort food. Just little choices with a big return...

Hey Op,

I've managed to drop from 171 and 19% body fat to 163 and I-don't-know-how-much BF in a month with some hardy running and weight programs at my local gym. Best to just focus on doing the routine day to day and the results sneak up.
