I think you should join the Navy or Marines instead.

no way, I'm a pussy, I dont wanna die by the hands of some fuckin towelhead. I'd rather chill and have my college paid for. I dont care if people hate on me, I need to make a living some how.

for the airforce you should run about 3 minutes a day... this will be more than enough for their standards.

id say fuck exercise and enjoy all the delicious junk food you can handle. seeing as you're soon to die in a fireball of crashing metal sometime in your near future.

Hardy har har.

OP: I'm also joining the air force. You need to get down to about 175-180, you can pull it off in about a month. Start some low-impact cardio and then move on to jogging.

you get used to the bullshit after a while which is the reason most other branches claim we are brain washed

i guess its true in a way but you do end up with a sort of tenacity thats difficult for others to comprehend which i guess is a plus

anyways

Job,life stories - U.S. Navy
Job,school money - Air Force
Job, school, military experience - Army
military experience, crazy ass life stories, become a man of the world of sorts - Marines

Army and Navy are military.
Marines are a cult.
Air Force is a shitty job you can't quit.

Former Airfag here OP, as long as they are letting you in with your weight you will be fine. You will easily lose 10 to 20 pounds or so, as long as you don't fuck around. Basic is easy, it's everything after that become difficult (like all the other branches).

Are you going before or after November 1st?

Get an Army Scholarship and go Intel...those guys are kept very safe on bases
>> Anonymous
To OP: Getting an air force scholarship is difficult, but some places give out army 4-5 year scholarships like candy. If you contract with the ROTC you are on unemployable status while in college, plus it is paid for and you get a decent stipend

>>348069
Sure......
I mean it can be, but sometimes they make you patrol just as often as infantry to get some "face time" with the locals.

Look up what numbers you need to score an 80+ on the PT test, then run/situps/pushups until you have an 80+. Air Force basic is pretty trivial. You might be better off spending your time practicing folding T-shirts.
>> Anonymous
lol people run in the air force? i thought your pft equiv is taken on a stationary bike...?
>> Anonymous
>>348109

Only for people with a run waiver now, the fitness test is a 1.5 mile run.
>> Anonymous
>>348109

In addition even when the bike test was the primary method for measuring you still needed to do a 2 mile timed run to 'pass' in basic training.
>> Anonymous
well its nice to find out the truth about that. thats still pretty weak about being able to get waived; cant decide if thats better or worse than the marine corps: if you broke something and cant run, you get your previous score ran for the next quarter.
>> Anonymous
From someone who is actually in the Air Force, you'll needa run 1.5 miles in 11:55 to graduate basic training (and 50 crunches with 45 push ups in a 1 minute each). AF fitness standards are in place to keep you in shape but you don't gotta be a super athlete. Trust me tho, if you can't meet AF standards by the end of basic you're just dumb. It's crazy.
