if I run/cycle or do some type of cardio for 35-60 minuts every day (and eat 100% correctly aswell)

should I be expecting alot slower progress as opposed to if I was weight training and doing cardio?

even though I'd like to do weights I'm limited to weights about 99% due to doctors orders and pretty much have to stick to cardio as it is my only option for fat loss

Fuck you, /fit/.

Whenever someone has a problem, you tell them to go see a doctor. Then when they tell you what their doctor said, you disagree and decide your advice is better.

You're a bunch of fucking shitfuckers.

ANSWER TO OP: Progress will not necessarily be slower, but it will be different. Weights would help you maintain or build muscle more effectively while trying to lose fat. Just cardio will work too, you'll just need to replace the weight lifting with more cardio to make up for it.

I would say try to do that 1% of weightlifting your doctor permits as well.

doctor said no, I have TMJ (muscle pain from shoulders to my scalp)

though I'm going to a physical therapist later this week to know exactly what I can and cannot do, hopefully she will green light me to start lifting some

but until then just cardio
