It seems like commercial bullshit, but they're actually great for your core strength. Standing ones are ridiculously hard to perform. You can get like a $5-$15 one at Wal-mart now, idk how much the one in the pic costs.

I'm not sure to which double wheel you're referring. Is it, a) the one that is like a dumbbell with a handle in the center and the wheels on the side, or b) the one with two wheels in the center with handles on the side?

Both double wheels seem to be gimmicky, but option A does seems like its better for stability.
