So I'm almost 18, 270lb, and 6"1' tall.
I've got a fairly sedentary life, and according to HarrisBenedict equation my daily calorie intake should be about 3940.

I've never tried to lose weight before, never really seen it as a problem because I really don't look fat with my body type; there's just a lot of chub in the stomach area.

Basically, I've got a fairly low stamina and never have really worked out regularly before. Any tips to stay with a program to work out? I wanted to start out with like a 4 days a week of walking/running at a nearby park, and reducing calorie intake by 500.

Thanks Anon, in return, one of the greatest asses you'll ever see.
TL;DR- how do I actively stay with a dieting/exercise program if I haven't ever attempted to as an 18 year old?

Sounds good. Do that. Add in some lifting. Sure.

How long should the runs/walks be? Time wise.

Oh I know I'm fat, that's kind of why I'm here on 4clams asking for help.
Thought that kind of implied it, sorry Anon.

I like to calculate my runs/jogs by the amount I sweat. If I don't break a sweat during my workout, it needs to be intensified. And remember, you have to push yourself beyond your normal limits to succeed. Whenever I'd be feeling exhausted during a workout, I'd say to myself, "I'll either finish this workout, or I'll pass out."

I never to this day have passed out.

tough constructive criticism is tough but still constructive

firstly do everything in your power to raise your heartbeat wether its walking running or just stretching your fat ass just work yourself everyday till you cant anymore and repeat

also control your fucking intake dude that is an alarming amount of calories that most people couldn't even stomach if they tried too.

One more question; running/walking or bicycling?
What helps burn more?

Oh, and which helps to gain more stamina?

the obvious answer would be running but maybe less consistent then biking or walking it's all preference but with your weight you might be better off biking

I've done 45 minutes running/walking due to my bikes tires being flat so far today.
I plan on doing the same with my bike tomorrow.
Annnd about 500 calorie intake since this morning; a bowl of cereal with milk, and an OJ vitamin water thing. I like those.

Vitamin water really isn't that good for you. A bottle of vitamin water has about 125 calories and 33 grams of sugar.
For comparison a can of coke has
97 calories and 27 grams of sugar.

Drinking more water instead of soft drinks/juices is one of the easiest ways to cut calories.
