but should i rly do this *every* day? or just on the days i lift?

Everyday. You recover on off days, so protein is still necessary. Very necessary.

Muscles take 48+ hours to repair after a workout.

Keep that in mind because ideally your body need a constant supply of protein to repair them. meaning ever 3-4 hours you should take enough protein.

thx /fit/, you're mah hero ^_^

However the protein needs change depending just how athletic you are. Not everyone works the same. Where is the scale discussion? Is that it, just 1 g/1 lb, nothing else to say? I'm sure there's more to it than that.

DON'T DO THIS SHIT, MOTHERFUCKER

PROTEIN TOXICITY, DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT?

2g protein per kg bodyweight is TOXIC in otherwise healthy individuals

that comes out to LESS THAN ONE G per day per pound.

protein toxicity is horseshit based on bad science. unless you already have damaged and barely functioning kidneys it won't do anything to you. wikipedia can suck my balls; these studies where done on people on dialysis. there is a reason why that article is small. fucking wiki.

I had something typed out, but you're an idiot and we'll leave it at that.

well perhaps we can all agree on the vague idea too much of anything is bad? as in, there should be some limit how much protein is good, we just don't know it? what about those protein-only diets, i heard they really tax the body.

>protein-only
Of course this is a bad idea. You need fats too.

personally I think 1g/bodyweight lb is too much. enjoy your massive protein farts.
