best thing would be to join a load of sports clubs when you get there. you make friends too, and it gets you a social life. and then make sure you go to the gym at least once a week. this will just get you started, and then in a few months you can think about these programmes. Best thing is to try and make sure you push yourself. If you're weak, only pain will heal you.
