Any /fit/ters do free running? I've been interested in it and would like to try practicing it some time, but I'm in no condition to be doing much physical activity. Are gymnastics classes recommended?

you know, it's actually quite amazing to a lot of people that free running (the real variety not the glamour clips on youtube) actually involves a lot of plain running... when the idea is to get somewhere quickly there's no sense going out of your way to do crazy stuff... you do crazy stuff to get over/around/through the stuff that's in the way of your normal running

Aye, did that TONS as a kid. I suppose i'll do time-trials and POSSIBLY branch out from tree-to-tree once i start getting better balance / feel for the bark and such.

During the College season, i'm in the middle of an Urban area, but am not as in-shape as i'd like to be to start up free-running just yet. Will probably try it after this year of lifeguarding though :)

This sounds fun. I think I'll give it a shot.
