I realize you most likely get a ton of posts like this, but I'd appreciate it if someone could help me out.

I'm 5'11, 230 pounds. Looking to drop a ton of weight.

I have a treadmill in my house, but no subscription to a local gym. I know nothing about exercising. I could however, pick up tools I could use to get myself back into shape. Never was fat it in my life, just recently (about 5 months ago) gained a ton of weight, mostly due to medicines etc.

Could anyone recommend me some stuff to do to help get rid of weight? I'm completely fucking committed on this, I'd like to get back to the way I used to be.

Pic related, it's pretty much exactly what my stomach looks like.
Thanks if anyone can help.

OP here, perhaps I should add that I had also been drinking a ton in the last months, but have stopped around 2 weeks ago. If that matters.

You could just exercise... Like, push-ups, sit ups, etc.

Or hire the trainer.

run on the treadmill, don't eat a bunch of food afterwards to compensate. Get your calories (fuel, FOOD) from healthier sources.

Run outside, just use the treadmill for if the weather is god awful. It's alot more interesting and it's easier to be motivated when the distances are actually real. Also it will strengthen your joints better.

Aim to be able to run for around 30 minutes without stopping and then start upping distance, before that start of with alternated walking/running setting yourself goals to increase the running.

Other than that buy yourself a set of dun bells and workout a routine or a pull up bar.

If you don't want to use dunbells you can do sets of

Chin ups (biceps/back) -> Push ups (triceps/back) -> Sit Ups (abs)

Also stuff like prone holding (the plank) for better core strength.

Avoiding heavy carbs other than immediatly after exercising will help with weight loss, try and drink less a bit less, alcohol is awful for putting weight on due to the nature of the carbs it contains, looks like you have a beer gut.

My dad is similar. He drinks a shit ton of soda though. His stomach is bigger than the OPs and doesn't have moobs. I don't think his stomach is squishy either... kinda like a beer belly without the beer.

I really wish he would stop drinking the soda. He drinks 5+ cans a day... even at breakfast he has a coke. ):<

eat better, portion control, exercise. it's not really brain surgery. if you're coming to 4chan thats a step in the wrong direction. get off the computer and go for a run. thats how i lost weight anyway. fad diets dont do shit.

It is not fucking difficult. Take in less calories than you burn. Eat healthier and exercise.

Just do some google searches on eating healthy and take notes. Generally you'll find yourself eating six small meals a day consisting of fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, lean meats, brown rice, etc. Just do the research.

For exercise, just start running on your treadmill like 45 minutes every morning.

The combination of eating a healthy diet and getting regular aerobic exercise will help you to lose weight. It is really simple.

"It is not fucking difficult. Take in less calories than you burn."

You have to be careful with that, though. If you tell people that calories in minus calories out is the only thing they need to worry about, they can take it to an extreme, which ends up slowing down the metabolism and thus lowering the amount of calories burned. Also, eating 500 calories less than your BMR and burning 500 calories has a different effect (keeps your metabolism higher) than eating 1000 calories less and not exercising. A good goal is to exercise and eat (body weight in lbs * 16) calories, and decrease by 500 if you don't lose anything after a week. Or, get Venuto's book. Unf Unf Unf.
