Guys, I'm having a crash. Bad. I don't know where from, but I'm just gaining weight. This summer I'd made it to 170, 10 pounds from my goal and now I'm just barely touching 190. I don't know what the fuck is going on. I judt got back to Large sized clothes! And looking aherad, Thanksgivinbg and Christmas are just going to fuck mre back to 200. WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING WRONG GODDAMNIT! I eat raw, my breakfast is fucking celery and carrots!.i run a mile in 7 minutes which ain't great, but isn't certainly not fucking pathetic. I mean i was gonna post my fatness at the classic camfag shit but even i can't put myself to post that fat shit!!!!!!!!!!!

What the fuck do I do? I run, I take martial arts, I'm at the gym 6 days a week! I JUST WANT TO FUCKING BE NORMAL AND NOT FAT GODDANAMADINPOAGToiugbOugbdsKMN yeah, I'm aware the drinking isn't helping but fuck man, tonight was just a 'ineedadrink' night.

Okay, I finished the bottle (if its any credit, it was a decent merlot), took some time to clean my ass up and think for a bit. Apologies for the waging earlier but felt I should keep it since it helped get this thought out.

Is there just a way you guys organize your diets into something? I mean, seriously, what the fuck am I going to do? I'd rather not be 200 lbs come 2009 and the rate im going, it just seems like its happening.

About as much as I can. I can tell my diet is a mess and thats where the issue is. Instead of bullshitting you, I'll just say that effectively aside from the celery and carrot breakfast, I have no exact diet. I just try to pick the healthier choices when it comes to lunch and dinner. last night was mahi mahi covered in panko crumbs.

I run a mile (typically 7 minutes, give or take 10 seconds), bike ~15-18mph for 30 minutes and do 50 sit-ups with a 20lbs weight. I don't want to bulk up, my upper body, and hell my thighs are fine, its all in the fat pot-belly region. I call it line-men syndrome, where you have the strength and and quickness, but some where down the line, you skipped the key part.

Ok, well

1. Don't drink whole bottles of merlot. 1, to 2 glasses per week.

2. Eat clean protein ONLY. Chicken, fish, very lean beef, egg whites with some whole eggs, etc.

3.COMPLEX CARBS. If its sugary, has high fructose corn syrup, or refined carbs, (aka-white bread, beer, regular pasta, etc.) DO NOT EAT. You want whole grains only. Complex carbs. The only time you need any sugar is right after you work out.

4. Eat 5-6 meals a day, spaced about 3 hours apart. Eat your last meal no later than one hour before you go to bed.

5.Seems like you're working out hard, keep that up. ou might even actually need less volume. But the more muscle you build, the better you will look, and it will be easier to lose fat. Really, you burn more calories.

6. Check out THE ABS DIET, muscleandfitness.com, fitness books, etc. Learn this shit. Learn as much as you can.

I think this is a common way of thinking of people who want to get in shape. U need to BUILD MUSCLE, take it anywhere you can get it. Don't just eschew upper body workouts, and perhaps more importantly, lower body, particularly the ever popular squat. Squatting is the root of all body building. You have to build muscle to raise your metabolism in order to get out of this fatness situation. Also, the last thing you need to worry about is having too much muscle at this point. Diversifying your workout to include more weightlifting will give you more to do in the gym, more variation for more motivation, more results for continued motivation, all of that. Get that metabolism up anon! The only other choice for you is starvation, and considering that you eat three meals a day, it doesn't seem like that track is for you. Anyway, the path of most resistance, lifting, is the better course anyway.

Since you guys have a good idea on the key parts being my diet, are there any sites you can recommend that do have (almost day to day) breakdowns on diet (like, "Wednesday for lunch, eat this this and this"). Yes, that seems horrifically excessive, but my engineer brain works like that, so if I have to sit down and formulate it, I'll do it.

Muscle burns fat on its own because it requires more energy to maintain itself. So build more muscle and you will louse fat. Of coarse there is that transition period where your body is building muscle and hasn't dropped the fat yet and you pleatue/gain weight.

You're also at the gym quite a bit, you might wanna take a few days off and then hit it hard after a good rest period.

Just maintain a good Protein:Carb ratio and you'll be fine.
