Hey /fit/, I'm seeking advice..
I'm 5'8 and 132.. and I'm what you would call skinny.. but I have a nice little gut and some chubby thighs..
I'm also going out for wrestling at my school this year and was wondering what were some good ways to burn off fat and build muscle?

also, for a diet, what EXACTLY should I eat, because I've been told many different things to eat.
And I know you should only drink water but is a bit of Gatorade alright too?

You should put on weight before you lose it. Doing both at the same time will pretty much have no results.

Easiest way to put on muscle is to do the big compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, benchpress, military press), and cutting fat is mainly done by high intensity cardio (running, etc.).

As far as diets go, high protein high carbs whilst you are trying to bulk, and high protein low carbs whilst you are trying to cut.

Gatorade is sugar capitol. I'd avoid it.

So if I start weight lifting, should I run a little every day while I'm trying to bulk up? Or should I just wait until I have the bulk to burn off?

Also should I take protein supplements and shakes or do it with just natural high protein foods?

Run once a week at most. Lose most of the weight after you've bulked.

Supplements are good, but you can get plenty of protein with the right diet. It's really up to you - if you feel like you're getting too much fat from high protein foods, use supplements, but if you feel like you're doing okay with just food, then stick to that.
