Hey /fit/ , does anyone else here have issues keeping a steady workout partner because of the fact that they aren't commited enough to work out?
I've been through 3 people and they just dont come continously , it's not for good reasons either, moreso reasons of being tired or having homework, etc ,etc. They aren't sick, no problems are going on. They just wanna sleep or hang out with their GF instead of taking 1 measly hour out of their day to work out.

How do you do it /fit/? I have to keep working out (lost 45ibs so far and gained 20ibs of muscle) and I need to keep on going to reach my goal.

Anyon else have this issue ?

Pic related it's my face when they say they can't come for dumb reasons.

Yeah it can be a real bitch. I go to school 9am.-3pm every morning and do 18h of work every week. It's really hard to do anything useful. I wish I had a gym at home...

OP : Been doing it for 4 years (since I was 13) and honestly, I can't do it anymore. It's a struggle to go down into my basement and see the machines and look at P90 (just started that about 5 weeks ago) and knowing that I have to put up with Tony Horton's bullshit in the video.

It's tough to do it on my own I'll admit that it becomes a struggle just to go downstairs

this. I have friends that will tag along once in a while but I definitely can't convince anyone to be in there every other day. They, like most people, are the kind who won't do SQUATZ because "their legs are big enough" or "it's bad for your knees."

find someone who likes to youtube "frank yang", "squats" and "deadlifts" with one hand while eating oatz with the other

or just work by yourself you pussy ass fag

Continuing: All of my friends have just as much work/school as I do so I'm not going to become dependant on them. I do go jogging with my roommate though. Just do stuff on your own. Your workout will be more efficient anyway. Try making friends at the gym. I know 50% of the people who go to mine so I never feel lonely there.

OP here : I don't go to a gym personally because I have a small one in my house from my dad's years of working out. Not to mention I can't offord a gym because instea of asking the bank for a loan I'm saving up for college. Don't tell me it's stupid because I know it is to a point but thats how I wanna do it right or wrong.

Anyway, yes I worked out on my own for so many years because I have thyroid issues so losing weight it a burden that I wanna minimize.

Working out + work + school is tough, you may wanna call me a pussy bitch or whatever but you have to give me a bit of credit that being only 17 I'm still making my own conscious choices to stay healthy not just for women, but for my own peace of mind and for my own health benefits.

So what. I'm only 19 and I'm doing the exact same except that I have to go to work+school all the time. Listen to good music or something. I did this when I was 17. I used to be in better shape then since I had more time to go to the gym. It's a good thing that gym isn't expensive in Finland. The cheapest public gym is 1euro/visit. Only bad part is that there's too many people there. If you have a big enough house to have your own gym in it your financial situation can't be that bad. Just tel your mumsykins that you want to go to a gym. I'm sure they'll help you out. THey don't want you to be fat, now do they...

OP here:
My finacials are bad though, the only reason I have a gym is because of my daddykins worked for things his whole life and was able to save up money and buy some decent equipment 30 years ago.

My house isn't big, instead of having a basement filled with nothing I have one filled with old work out equipment. I'm not spoiled in the least I'm just trying to get by with my /fit/ness and yes I do listen to music on my I-pod to try and keep me going.

Anyone else with constructive posts?

if you have a power rack, bench and plenty of plates, you shouldn't need a gym, as long as they are in good condition.

I almost prefer working out alone.
The only thing I miss is a spotter for benching. It's not necessary, but it's good to have.

OP : I feel ya, I have a buncha safety type equipment so that I dont fuck up my shoulders or anything . I have good form from doing it for so long. And I know how working out alone can be nice but there comes a point where competing with yourself to lose weight isn't enough inspiration vs competing with someone else to do more weight , reps, sets , etc.

FFFFFFFUUUUUU yes.
I have a gym/squash partner who I have to bitch at for like 20 mins to get him to get his dumbass to the fucking gym. Sometimes I just rage and go by myself. asdfasdfasdfas what a fucking failure.

I prefer to workout alone to be honest, but two of my friends always come to the gym with me. One of them is a cool guy, the other guy is a faggot.

My workout buddy gets bogged down by studies, which basically are more important since you know... big muscles usually don't pay the bills in a modern society.

Anyways I do without, I track down others who don't have partners and ask if I can alternate with them at the bench, or squat rack, spot them, they spot me, new acquaintances are made.
