So I've got these black spots all over my nose. They don't stick out, but they're really really ugly, like maybe as wide as the short end of a toothpick. The skin care store at the mall said they're blackheads, but I wanted a second opinion.

They could be blackheads or ingrown hairs, it depends on the situation. Nevertheless, both can be pulled out with the pore pack, but since they've been festering in your nose for a while, you'll need to prep it a bit.

Have you actually tried squeezing at it?

You mean squeezing my nose? They don't bulge out at all.

Might be dark spots where pimples/blackheads used to be.

You have to exfoliate them in that case.

That's where I scrub really hard with the rough end of a loofah, right? I did that and do so every day.

Well of course they don't bulge out. They've been probably in there, what, 3-4 years now? A new layer of skin's probably even formed over it, which you'll have to scrape off carefully before removing the spots in question.

No, that's where you get a tablespoonful of baking powder, wet it with water, and rub against your nose for 3-4 minutes. What you're doing now is the equivalent of using a hairbrush to try and clean plaque off your teeth.

Not OP here.

Say if I use a nasal pore strip, would it be beneficial to use a salicylic acid wipe straight after?
What about for the rest of my face?
I find that cleansers with salicylic acid in them don't do very much.

Doesn't that hurt?
