I'm about 180, 5'8- femanon.
I tend to build muscle fast, but can't seem rid myself of the extra fat.

Is running my only option in order to achieve a leaner physique? (rather than gaining muscle bulk)

btw. I bike, try to run as often as possible, lift weights.. and so on. Also, what should I keep out of my diet.

every form of cardio: run, bike, swim, row, eliptical, etc.
Just eat a bit less to lower your body fat.
If you need 2500 cal per day, go for 2000.
That way you'll lose a bit of fat every day.
But keep up your healthy diet.
