I went rock climbing with a friend of mine who's pretty much a veteran, and I fuckin loved it. It's hella fun, extenuating, and puts you through a massive workout. Anyway my biggest issue was my forearms. After the first try at the rock, I felt like I couldnt hold my own dick. My hands were sore as hell. So I'd reccomend training the muscles involved in finger and hand strenght to anyone interested.
Also, really, if you are 300, dont even try. Not solely because of the wheight, but because of the bulk. You have to hug the wall more often than not, and you can't do that with a massive belly.
