Sup /fit/
Sorry in advance if you get anything like this a lot...

Right, I weigh 156 pounds and I'm looking to lose a little over the next few weeks anywhere between 6 and 12 lbs would do me fine.

I'm currently on a controlled diet which is working fine and I'm doing regular exercise, but my main worry is that in the long haul I'll get some kind of 'loose skin'

So, whilst losing weight, what type of exercise should I be doing to minimise loose skin in the long run? I've got access to an exercise bike and a set of dumbells btw.

you won't get loose skin by losing 10 pounds

I know, but I've already lost some as it is and just wanted to take every precaution.

What exercise would you recommend someone of my weight category to do to aid weight loss, whilst toning my torso area and arms? Like, I'm totally new to more focussed exercise so how many lifts should I be doing etc, and what else should I be doing other than my hour on the bike?

Seconded. The only ppl I've seen w/ loose skin is my super fat Uncle who lost hundreds of pounds when he stapled his stomach, and his daughter who is my age (22), but barfed her way into thindom.

He has loose skin cause:

a) He's in his 40s
b) He lost hundreds of pounds
c) He used an unnatural way of loosing weight, w/ no exercise whatsoever.

She has loose skin b/c:

a) She lost weight in a unnatural way, w/ no exercise.
b) She also lost is too quickly for her body to "shrink back".

My point is: if you're young and you loose weight in a normal, healthy manner, you shouldn't have a problem.
