I've lurked on here for a lil while and now need some advice.
Im partaking in a martial arts grading thats gonna be over three hours long and i'm wondering what the best way to keep my energy levels up through out are and what the best sort of recovery exercises/foods are.

Get plenty of sleep and have a high-carb supper. Basically pasta.
Breakfast should consist of atleast 2 pieces of fruit for sugar, maybe a cup of tea
Warm up for atleast 10 minutes and use dynamic, not static, stretches
For recovery eat a banana and something meaty/protein shake

Caffeine is also not a bad choice. You could keep a squirt bottle of cooled black coffee with lots of honey in it as a pickmeup.
