i have always made them with milk, any /fit/fags make them with water? if so how do they taste, and do you put anything else in it? picture unrelated

If I don't want the extra sugar from milk, I will use chilled water, Taste ok but protein shakes are all pretty bland to me nowdays.

Tastes fine with water to me.

Since milk is slow absorbing, and whey is meant to be a rapid-digesting product, it's ass-backwards to use with milk.

As for taste, Gold's 100% Chocolate Mint = fucking cash, no matter what.

i use water. they taste just barely good enough not to gag depending on the flavor. imo, vanilla sucks, chocolate is better as far as EAS 100% whey is concerned

Is this true? It sounds reasonable, I know that water is absorbed faster than any other liquid, etc, but does it work that way? I would have thought all this shit ends up in your stomach and your body digests it all at the applicable speeds - whey is absorbed quickly because that's how it works, and similarly, milk takes ages. I just assumed having them together wouldn't make a difference.

If you're having it with milk you're doing it wrong.

Well, that's if you have it post workout. If you just have it with like your dinner or breakfast or something then I suppose it's ok. For the most part though I just have it with water, to be on the safe side.
