/fit/, what's the best way to get rid of blackheads and keep them from coming back?

I have the typical puberty shit going on still at 18, most of my face gets dry and flaky and my nose gets really oily. I get pimples a lot less now but I still have a lot of blackheads on my nose. Over my nostrils and on the front as well.

I've had the most success with pore strips, and it's great to look at the strip after and see all the blackheads on it, but it doesn't really seem to last very long. Also they get a lot of blackheads from the crease of my nostril but almost none from the front of my nose. After a few days it's hard to tell the difference between how it was.

Beyond those is there any way to actually get rid of blackheads beyond squeezing them out?

Also how should I be washing my face to keep the oil from building up?

How about you stop being a fat greasy fucker washing your face with pizza and red bull?

Drink lots of water. It helps. Especially post workout

I've switched from drinking mostly soda to no soda at all and 4-5 large glasses of water a day and haven't noticed any difference at all.

Yup, I have exactly the same problem as op (also 18, greasy nose but dry face, even the crease thing) and I drink 4-5 litres of water a day since I'm 9 or so. I don't drink anything else.

Same faggot.

It's not even the same as being fat, that's a lifestyle choice 90% of the time. Lots of people shower once a day or more and are hygenic but still get acne or blackheads.

I'm talking four glasses at every meal. You should be drinking about 100oz of water every day. Especially if you are working out.

You know your on the right track when you can keep your piss clear the whole day.

Also, make showering a priority after working out. Not only is it relaxing but it'll clean off the dried sweat. This means showering at the gym if need be, you can do it anon.

blackspots are caused by a color produced in the skin.
It has nothing to do with hygiene.

Maybe try some of that special stuff. Im not sure what they call it in other countries. To solve the dry forehead thing your gonna need some kind of lotion.

Maybe hide your pride and try some of that facial lotion that people like david beckham and that guy from lost promote nowadays? People might think your a fag, but at least youll have the softest face ever.

Oh, and some kind of face cleanser before going to bed and in the morning will help. Proactive isn't bad.

Worst comes to worst, see a dermatologist. They'll hook you up with the serious prescription shit

I'm interested in this aswell. On the bridge of my nose I have a large collection of very small blackheads which I can clear myself, but they are very difficult to squeeze because of their small size. However it only takes 9-12 hours sleeping for them to come back again in exactly the same places. Is there any more perminent solution? Because they are just large enough to be annoyingly noticable up close.

Ah, I have the same thing and wondered for a while if it was natural or if there was a way to fix it

you could try going one of those facial spas and get what's called an "extraction". a word of warning though: this process is what made POWs blurt out impertinent information about their mission i.e. it FUCKING HURTS. after that process is done(it should be coupled with some microdermabrasion) pick up some pore minimizing facial toner. apply it to your face after a hot shower and after you wash your face at night.

it sucks to have blackheads on your nose, i suffer from it as well. but i've gotten to somewhat control it by doing what i said above.

"For April's skin-care regime, Adam selected two products developed by Wilma Schumann of Germany — the O2 Oxy Blu system and DNA advanced skin repair for oily/acne-prone skin. Oxy Blu is a hypoallergenic moisturizing gel that draws oxygen to the skin's surface and thereby inhibits bacterial growth. DNA skin repair provides oil-free skin hydration to counteract the effects of too much sun.

April's home-care package included a cleanser to control oil production and inhibit bacterial growth that causes skin eruptions, an antibacterial toner with fruit essence, glycolic acid, and vitamin C, and, for evening care, an alpha-hydroxy acid preparation to help exfoliate the skin. A certain amount of exfoliation is need to keep pores clean and clear; without it, skin looks tired and dull — but too much exfoliation too often can make skin overly sensitive."
