I am getting really, REALLY sick of seeing people doing squats wrong. I walked into the gym today and saw an old guy doing front squats and going a couple inches above hams parallel, and I thought to myself "wow, that is literally the lowest I've ever seen anyone go in this gym, ever". I almost wanted to walk up to him and shake his hand. He moved on to military press and chins. I asked him if he was doing Stronglifts. He said no but he'd google it.

I go to 24 hr fitness, btw.

OP's picture is ironically of INCORRECT front squat form

fingers circling the bar (i guess...if you can...) and bar INCHES from the neck. barbell needs to be resting against neck (almost feels like choking) in order to maintain the barbell w/ the center of gravity of the body. also looks like mr. white ghost figure is going to dump the bar forward

tl dr: FAIL, at least its deep 'nuf

This thoroughly bothered me in the beginning as well, and I just want to loose my cool every time I saw someone loading 315 on the bar, just to do half ass squats.
But keep in mind, that if you keep working your ass off, and keep doing things correctly, you're gonna reap the benefits, while leaving them in the dust.
Just keep working hard!

There's two ways to do front squats. In this one, i think you have to rest the bar on your deltoids.

The weight is more stable with it's closer to your neck, with you hands open and your wrists bent back in how do I shot web position.

really,

only "2"

try again.

there is however a 'right answer', at least in terms of biomechanics. Watch any O-lifter full clean a weight.

THAT is how it should be.

deviate only if you have wrist/shoulder/elbow mobility issues (then again, shouldn't you be fixing that too?)

if you are 'with problems' do it the poliquin deviation way, w/oly wrist straps holding the bar up (search on his site/tnation).

the BB'er way is always gay

If you frontsquat for a while you should get it right anyway by itself. If you don't feel the bar close to your neck, you'll drop forward and if you try to keep your wrists straight, they'll hurt like a bitch.
You lift with your body, not the arms.

I don't get what you're saying. You're supposed to do them as fast as you can with good form.
