Hey /fit/, sometimes when I'm in the middle of an intense routine, I start feeling light-headed and dizzy and/or I feel like I want to vomit. At this point it's very difficult to continue, so I stop. Is there any way around this? Or should I quit being a pussy and keep going until I faint / throw-up?

i've thrown up probably a dozen times at the gym, you feel better and then you continue.

its just a moment of dehydration, better take a short rest and drink water then continue your training.

i've been like that myself when i had lunch at 15.00 and then go to the gym at 16.30. at the beginning there was no problem, but as i increased intensity i felt like you describe. just wait a bit longer to start your workout if you have eaten in the last hours.

I have a problem with this, too - when I work out, I push my body to exhaustion/nausea, but I always figure that if I don't feel like complete shit after a good workout, I did something wrong. If you have an enduring problem with this, you should condition yourself to deal with it and throw up when you have to, rather than stopping. You can't really get in good shape if you're too much of a pussy to force yourself to the point of nausea, anyways.

So, I just suggest that when you feel sick, you should just do cardio until the problem surfaces enough for you to vomit. And don't ever eat before working out.

You should feel better after a workout. How do you plan on doing this for the rest of your life if you feel like shit after every workout?

point is, i usually feel good after a workout, but sometimes it feels good to feel like a piece of shit after a hard workout.

...it's important to spend as much energy as possible when working out, to get the best results. You shouldn't work out 90% or less so you can feel dandy leaving the gym, nor should you entirely dismiss the "no pain, no gain" principal. Working out is/should be fun to a certain point, but after that, it's exhausting, and that's when progress is made. If you can manage to stay fit/get ripped without pain, fantastic - but most people cannot.

Have you had your blood sugar checked lately? Sounds like you may be developing diabetes. If it's an issue of dehydration, you should feel a headache.

is sounds as if your not fit enough for your training, because the symptoms are those of anaerobic workouts. If you want hard workouts start in the smalls and jog longer distances with a slower pace, then youll build up your heart and bloodwork. Mix it up with doing sigular muscle exersises on your legs; ex the frontal thigh curle, back thigh curl and youll start getting the "pump" youll need to begin having harder runs
