Does the perfect pushup work for abs and biceps? Planning to buy it tomorrow..
>> Anonymous
just use your hands.
>> Anonymous
yeah, because you dont know if its any good?.

I might be stupid, but I don't see how pushups would affect your abs.

Got a set for Christmas and honestly they feel very awkward

I hate doing regular pushups cuz my wrists and hands start to fuck up..im thinking these would be better for me.

so man up and do them. your body gets used to shit.

same way a plank/stabilizer would, you flex your abs to keep your body in line.

Do pushups on your knuckles. Your knuckles will go red for a few weeks, but its worth it. This way you don't hurt your wrists at all.

Abs are used for stability. Keep your body as straight as you can.

Gimmicky bullshit.

I've been doing pushups on the ground for years with great results, these things seem completely pointless to me.

Anyone ever try ring push-ups instead?

I have a set of these, and while the claims in the commercials about your RIPPED ABS, SHOULDERS, ARMS AND CHEST are greatly exaggerated (seriously, who's dumb enough to expect an intense, full upper-body workout from a product that rotates in a circle?) they do an okay job.

They're basically just fancy pushup bars. I don't know if the rotation actually helps with anything, but they're fun to use every now and then for variety.

Ring pushups would have better applications because you have to stabilize the movement.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
Just do push ups, sit ups, crunches, and what ever else like normal. Better yet Squat, Dead lift, and bench press.

The only way I could see these things as being beneficial is by allowing a deeper range of motion in the pushup (you can go down further). But a better way to do that and work some stability muscles is to place on hand on the ground and the other on a small workout ball (18" diameter or less), and do pushups that way. The first couple of times you do them, your arm shakes a lot, but your tiny stabilizer muscles eventually build up.

I've got a set of cheap ones from Wal-Mart. They're decent, worth $20 bucks at least. If you're dedicated and follow the included schedule, you start seeing results pretty quickly. Tie this into good ab exercises, lifting, the six small meals a day metabolism thing, and you get pretty well-rounded.

You need to realize that the only purpose of this product is to relieve joint pains/stress. Most people just see muscular men and think the Perfect-Push Up got them jacked.

>>relieve joint pains/stress

As a person with occasional arthritis pains, now that I think about what you just said, it's true..

They do hurt my wrists less than when I do pushups without them.

i'm interested in these. the wrists are the weakest part of my body, they crap out much fast then rest of my arms, shoulders, etc.
