Hey /fit/I'm going to Spain in a few months, and I want to know how to get rid of jet lag. I'm in Eastern Standard Time now, so it's about a 5 hour increase. I know it could be worse, but it's my first experience with it.I was planning on slightly changing my sleeping patterns before I went (pushing my bedtime back a few hours gradually) and then just staying up as long as possible so that I can fall asleep at the right time when I'm there.
Go back to bed, Tia.
take LSD

I'm pretty sure this is doable without drugs. Besides caffeine and nyquil, that is.
after a week you'll be finei travel from nyc to beijing twice a year...the difference is usually 12 hrs...shit sucks
ever go to bed about five hours early or late once and feel like shit for about one day? it's kinda like that, except you'll have "siestas" to help.
Water is your friend. Start drinking now. Spain ain't too bad. I went all the way to China, but I stayed drunk throughout the length of my flight. bad idea. Its best to keep drinking water and getting as much sleep as possible on the round trip.
Depends what time your flights are.
>>410885Why water?>>410802That sounds good, except I'm only going to be there for ten days. If I stay up much longer than usual 20+ hours and then go to sleep at a normal time when I'm there, will that be enough to reset my clock?
As soon as you get on the plane change your watch to the time of the place you are going to travel to. Adjust your sleep on the flight to fit that time. I can sleep anywhere so this works for me.
i cant ever sleep on planes, something about waking up to people screaming and doing loop de fucking loops in the air. last flight i slammed a gravol and was out like a fucking light.
get a flight that leaves at night and arrives in the morning.sleep on the plane and u will wake up with the right schedule
