Hey /fit/

I'm starting to do night shift coming towards christmas and wanted to know if reverting to sleeping during the day is bad for me.

I plan to get some sunlight in the morning exercising and then sleeping by about midday.

Picture not related but still awesome as it is Phil Collins.

Security guard, nightshift only here: Phil Collins is a faggot.

Your body will adapt, but your mind will find it hard to. Your brain responds to light and in darkness begins the chain reaction to initiate sleep. You'll be trying to sleep through daylight, despite that your mind understands day = awake, night = asleep. Don't expect to get as much sleep as you think you will.

Also, a common side effect of this pattern is insomnia, and more relevant to someone posting on /fit/, there have been cases of anorexia nervosa and muscular dystrophy occuring.

tl;dr it has the potential to be bad, but you should be fine

>muscular dystrophy

MD is genetic, and, whether or not being nocturnal is good or bad for you, I'm sure it can't alter my DNA.
