Hi /fit/

I've always had a bit of a red-ish complexion and acne and all that, but now that my acne is completely gone (yay accutane) my face still looks quite red but only in daylight. When I see myself in the mirror with roomlighting my face looks fine, but whenever I go outside it looks red except for around the eyes so it's like I had sunglasses on while getting a sunburn on my face. Only it's not a sunburn.

What could this be and how do I fix it?

Sun block/lotion

How can it be a sunburn if it shows immedeately when I step outside, stays during winter, and disappears when I'm inside?

Or are you saying that's the solution regardless of it being a sunburn or not?

Try getting an actual tan? Not a major one, just a few minutes out in the sun to even out your skin-tone.

Sounds like you're allergic to the sun. I'm serious. You'll need to see a dermatologist about it and get medicines.

I remember it staying visible last summer and I did a couple of weeks of tanning beds around januari but it didn't seem to even out at all. I think it even made the paleness around my eyes stand out some more (even though I didn't use the eye protectors and just kept my eyes closed) so I stopped that.

I used to go outside with sunglasses when I still had acne so because the redness isn't around my eyes I think that might have started it. Also the label warns that accutane makes skin very sensitive to sunlight. I don't want to make things worse so I'm mostly trying to understand what this is and why it is this way.

45 minutes, 4 days a week swimming from 9h30AM to 10h15AM got me an awesome, very even and natural tan.
