Don't eat anything hot. Don't chew gum. Don't use straws / suction.
Go for things that are at most mouth temperature ~90F, and preferably much cooler. Very easily chewed, or simply swallowed directly.
If you start to bleed badly, grab a tea bag, non-decaf, and bite lightly on it, directly on the wounds. It contains some sort of chemical that helps with blood clotting.
If you do all of that, you are pretty much guarenteed to recover fine. You DO NOT WANT dry sockets.
