At what age did you guys stop growing?
I'm an 18 year old male and I'm currently 5' 8 and although that's not super short, I'd really like to be a bit taller.

Also, I think I'm one of those late bloomers since my voice isn't really deep, and my facial hair is pretty weak so I still look like I'm 14-16 if that has anything to do with height.
>> Anonymous
sounds like testosterone deficiency or late blooming. maybe go see an endriconologist?

My serum testosterone level was around 500 last time I had a blood test

Most males stop growing at around age 21 so you still have 3 more years.

Hey guys OP here. I have another question.

Can weight training stunt growth?
>> Dal
>>70443

Maybe doing heavy weights the wrong way, and doing it A LOT, would force your body to adapt by compressing your spine a little bit, but I can't see someone losing more than an inch based on that. You'd probably start having back problems way before that though.

Too much sport/activity requiring strength at a young age will stunt growth however.

What qualifies as a young age?
>> Anonymous
>>70501
Younger than you are thinking.
From about 8-14.

Most kids who did lots and lots of sports etc in this age group will only gain a few inches in height from age 12 onwards.

21yo, 5'9" stopped at 14

i'm 24 and 5'8, i've wanted to kill myself over it

Meh. Actual girl here, my boyfriend's 5'9", it's actually kinda nice. I don't get an achy neck from trying to kiss him, at least.

5'8" is a normal height, within striking distance of the American average of 5'10".

5'6" is getting damn small, sure, but 5'8" is just a bit small.

My advice if it really matters? Go fuck asian girls.

If you eat right you can actually keep growing till 24, although more slowly.

Testosterone has little to do with your height, its more about HGH.

If your short and you want another inch you can either ask your doctor about HGH or take it yourself, its expensive but not illegal and has pretty much no side effects

Im 6 foot, and Im damn happy with it, much taller than 6'1-2 and you look ganky and any shorter and your not "tall"
>> Anonymous
I'm 23 and 6'5, I hit 6'5 about 2 years ago, but it was a constant growth up til then, I never really had a "growth spurt" I just kept getting taller til I stopped.

23, 6'4" Stopped growing when I was 16…at least I have the body shape to not make me look like a stick.

I'm 6'2'' but everyone in my school is huge so i only feel slightly above avg. growing up being told "wow you are tall! etc. " has probably messed with my psyche or something and I wanna be 6'6'' but it aint gonna happen I'm already 18 :( what is that HGH stuff?

nevr mind I googled. wow it seems really worthwhile even without height gain.
* Increases calcium retention, and strengthens and increases the mineralization of bone
* Increases muscle mass through the sarcomere hyperplasia
* Promotes lipolysis
* Increases protein synthesis
* Stimulating the growth of all internal organs excluding the brain
* Plays a role in fuel homeostasis.
* Reduces liver uptake of glucose
* Promotes gluconeogenesis in the liver[6]
* It contributes to the maintenance and function of pancreatic islets.

HGH production slows as you get older, which causes you to lose muscle, your skin to degrade, hair falls out etc.

HGH is often used by older people to combat age, and it does work to a certain extent with very few side effects when used properly.

Problem is the dosing needs to be done 3 times a day injected, and its quite expensive, think 30k a year.

Side effects are minimal when done properly, most movie stars and older models are generally using it off and on.

If mis-used it can cause serious problems, but that goes with anything.

If you abuse HGH it can cause certain bones to start growing out of proportion, although this is rare. And can overdevelop certain muscles, like your neck and ESPECIALLY your abdominals.

You get a GH guy, or a beer belly with a six pack on top of it, its muscle but it buldges because its overdeveloped, wrestlers get this sometimes.

Cant do much about the height, but I can help with the ache.

I assume your already using retin A or some perscription medication ?

If not, ask your doctor for a referal.

Also try fish oil caps, I used to have a little patch of ache that kept breaking out on the side of my face, and I havent had a pimple in a while after taking fishoil for 3-4 months.

omega 3 versus 6 balance can improve your skin a bit.

Yeah, I am on some dermatologist prescribed creams and medication. They are working for a bit, but when college ends I'll be starting Isotretinoin.

you can keep growing till you are 25

supplement vitamins and minerals in your diet to stimulate as much growth as you can.
>> Anonymous
I'm 19 and I grew from 5'8" to 5'10.5" since this time last year.
I hadn't really grown since I was 15 so I was surprised but Im very comfortable with my height now, I might grow a bit more. And I wouldn't call myself a late bloomer, voice broke at 13, shaving at 15, but my shoulders have got big lately

Man, there's nothing wrong with short guys. As long as you're not fat. Or you don't groom yourself.
>> Anonymous
how do i take HGH by myself or get it?
>> Anonymous
>>70836
I don't think HGH is going to make you taller, If you're young you shouldn't have a shortage of it. Height is genetic, a good diet will help you reach your full potential
