Diets don't work that way. You should be able to fit in a candy bar now and then. Willpower is bullshit because if you ever get the results you want you'll go back to the habits you used to have. As soon as you feel like you did well, you ruin it because it's impossible to have THAT much self control.
I mean imagine if you, a straight guy, was locked in a room with a naked sexy unconscious girl for weeks. How long could you last without fucking that? The trick isn't to force yourself not to do it, but to convince yourself you don't want it.

If you can learn to hate chocolate, and really hate anything unhealthy, it makes it a lot easier to avoid it. For me, if I'm gonna eat chocolate, it has to be some fancy ass special expensive shit. It has to be QUALITY. I find cheap chocolate to be watered-down pathetic crap and I can't stand it anymore, even though I fucking love chocolate. I mean, would you drink shitty cheap wine because you love wine, or would you only settle for the good stuff?
You have to learn to appreciate quality food. You're too used to cheap and unhealthy stuff. The stuff you think tastes good now actually tastes like complete shit once you raise your standards. It's not about force, it's about mentally learning how to change your perceptions of food.

when I do shit like this (drink keg beer until ~) The next day I just 1) drink alot of water to flush mr.system 2)eat super well, and in carefully observed portions 3)wait until it's dark to do exercise so I have time to digest (and recover) a bit, and then do a 3 mile run as fast as I possibly can.

By the time you wake up the next day you should feel back to normal. In rare cases if you don't (absinthe binge) just go for a slower paced ~4 mile jog in the hottest as hell part of the day (this works well in Texas) Don't forget to drink lots previous, water all day and a bottle of Gatoraid in the hour immediately beforehand.

This will burn and sweat you enough to get anything short of a fatal overdose of heroin out of your system in time for the 5k with your new girlfriend/boss in 3 days :)

3,500. And it does matter if he ate like three full sized candy bars or something. He didn't tell us what constituted his binge, could have been 20 king sized Twix bars, or it could have been one Hershey's bar.

Since he said "binge", I'm just assuming he ate over 1,000 calories of the stuff in one sitting.

Also, cheat =/= binge. Binge implies you lost all control and had extremely out-of-proportion sizes, cheating is just eating a normal portion of "bad" food such that it might not even throw off your set calories per day, but you just ate them in the form of shitty carbs and fat for one meal.
