My skin and scalp. Tripfag !01CnYhw6eA
Hola /fit/
I have some skin care-related questions for you.
First off, I have what seems to be severe dry skin on my face and scalp. I'll start with explaining about my face. The dry skin is the worst when I have just gotten out of the shower and dried my face with a towel. It's visibly white and flaky, almost kind of scaly looking, but not at all oily to the touch. It feels bone-dry, and it is painful to open my mouth all the way. It is like this in patches most of the time. That is, some of my skin feels normal/soft/healthy while other parts feel dry and sandpaper-y. Sometimes it's all of my skin. If I scratch at it, it starts to flake like dandruff. Also, there is a ring of white dry skin around my mouth, which a bit of Vaseline usually helps with, but still hurts regardless. I would've seen a dermatologist already, but I lack decent medical insurance and it's not in my budget right now to see one on my own dime. I've tried every wash/skin care product you can imagine, but feel free to suggest another one anyway. For awhile I thought it was dehydration-related but I honestly doubt it, because I stay very well hydrated.
As far as my scalp goes, it's very dry and itchy. There's always flaking, regardless of the 9999 different dandruff treatments I have tried, and believe me I have tried them all. My hair is also very dry and coarse, and tends to be frizzy regardless of how much I attempt to moisturize it. Yet, it always feels DIRTY somehow, which I cannot stand. It's also on the skin under my eyebrows, whatever is wrong with my scalp, because when I itch at them they flake badly as well.
Side note, as I don't know if it's related: I can't grow facial hair. At all. It grows on my chin, sorta on my neck and random long hairs grow on my cheeks, but that is about it.
Am I dying inside?

I will when I can, but if I do have psoriasis, what are some things I can do to help relieve the symptoms in the meantime?
