I can tell you what motivates me, although my fitness goal is to gain weight rather than lose it. I find the best way is to be surrounded by fitness-related things throughout the day. For example, I'll read a men's health article about nutrition, get excited about waking up early so I can get a proper breakfast, then I'll look forward to my workout as a means of relieving stress and putting those calories to work. So what I'd suggest to you is to educate yourself on losing weight, spend more time each day doing something related to fitness like reading up on nutrition, proper exercise, or going to the grocery store and buying healthy foods.
