sup /fit/, doing a 5 day split now to burn some fat

Day 1: Chest
Day 2: Back
Day 3: Off
Day 4: Shoulders
Day 5: Legs
Day 6: Arms

that's just what my friend does (he took it off some article on bb.com)

anyway would it do any harm to get rid of that rest day in the middle so I could take 2 off on the weekend?

also lifting is a plenty fine way of burning hella fat instead as an alternative to LISS/HIIT y/n?
