Running Food Anonymous
Im 5'9, 159, I wanna lower body fat so Ive decided to start upping my cardio. Presntly I run 40 min a day. What does /fit/ think of running an hour, breaking for a few minutes and then running another hour? Should I eat/drink anything in between intervals? Am I just going to burn muscle and not fat? Still working out everyday and am fairly muscular.

1h running in the morning, 1 hiit session in the evening

Well, if you can actually stick with 80 min of running a day, and you have a footpath that avoids blasting your joints, go for it. I would suggest just putting sprinting intervals into your 40min run to up the intensity. I don't really see any good reason for a non-marathon runner to be doing anything more than that.
