Sup /fit/,

I'm going to apply for the FBI, and there's a physical fitness test I have to pass. Simple question, what should I center my training around?

- Cardio, including aerobic and anaerobic
- Muscular strength and endurance

Obviously, I'll have to focus the most on where my weaknesses are, but what does /fit/ think is the more important of the two?

Train for muscular strength first, as in squats and deadlifts. Strength is the foundation of every other athletic skill, if you don't have a solid base of this then training the other modalities is going to be much harder and time consuming.

We like the Starting Strength and Stronglifts program around here, but I'm gonna have to recommend the Starting Strength, because that's what I'm doing.

Shoot for a 1 rep max between 1.5x to 2x bodyweight back squat before you start cardiovascular and sprint training, as 1.5x-2x is a general indicator of above average strength.

All right, thanks. My SQUATZ and DEDLIFTZ could use some work, and I've never actually tried to follow Starting Strength. I'll look into Crossfit as well, can't hurt.

Why not? I'm an ET, and it seems like it'd be different. I'll have a hard time explaining 4chan, though.
