/fit/, when I do cardio on the treadmill, I always do random incline with also random running speeds (2 mins @ 4.0, 3 mins @ 7.0, 1.5 mins @ 5.5, 1 min @ 4.5, 1.5 mins @ 7.5, etc.) Is there any benefit to this?

Not really. Just pick a speed that gets you in your target heart rate and try to keep the pace. Incline helps, but randomizing it really doesn't do any good. It only helps if you're doing "sets" where you put the incline way up for a short period of time and then back down.
