New ways to make whey shakes more interesting Anonymous
I was getting bored with my post-workout shake. So I tried this:

1. Peel banana.
2. Freeze banana.
3. When ready, retrieve banana from freezer and blend with skim milk and chocolate whey.
4. WINN!!!

Plus sometimes it doesn't blend completely and you can break up bits of frozen banana with a spoon - it's like eating a delicious ice cream without the guilt.

Just thought I'd share. Yum.

That sounds fucking delicious. Hell I want frozen bananamilk with my breakfast tomorrow.

a banana is not ideal because the fiber in it will slow down whey absorption (and the fructose content). but honestly, one blended banana is fine.

whey + water

any attempt to improve the taste makes you a faggot

Fair point. Also, according to what I've read on here lately, whey after workout is best taken with water, not milk, since casein slows down the absorption of protein.

That may or may not be true, I have no idea, but I tried whey+water and it was gross. Meh, I'll stick with milk for now.

er (1 cup of yogurt=one of those single serving cups in the package)

and only half a banana cause it's overpowering.

No, casein doesn't slow down whey. Fat slows down whey. Milk is good with whey, skim, 1 or 2 percent is optimal.

yes it does because casein gels in the stomach (this is why it takes so long to digest). it has a similar effect as fiber

casein does not slow down the whey. it's just slower than whey
