I have no motivation. None at all. Every single day I just want to lay around and do nothing at all.

How the fuck do I punch myself in the face and start accomplishing what I want to accomplish? After failing so many times I just don't see a way out.

How do you motivate yourself, /fit/?

1. you have care or it's not gonna happen. But since you bothered to post, you must care somewhat, right?

2. organize your day somewhat. Have expectations of things that you do every day. First, you've got to convince yourself that you're somebody who exercises. It's what you do.
Then you say, "I exercise at 5pm every day" or "after lunch" or whatever. Be specific.

Set expectations & then goals to meet them. Basic psychology stuff.

It was the same for me. The difference is, I made the choice not to lay around anyway. After some time of training and eating right, it becomes routine. After some more time, you begin to reap the rewards. There are no excuses if you want to change your life.

Yeah, I do care I'm just scared of failing again. The problem is that I get really motivated and work out a ton and then a day later sink back into depression. I guess a schedule might help.

There is no better way to put it than how this Anon has phrased it. Most people that are succesful only get there because they are cussed and stubborn magnificent bastards that won't bend over to take one in the ass from fate.

They've failed more times than you. Succesful people nearly always have a longer record of failing than people who failed a handful of times and quit.

arrange a schedule and then just stick to it. don't think about it or try and psyche yourself up. just say to yourself 'today i'm going to the gym at three for an hour' or whatever it is and then just do that. if you do something enough times (i have read 28 days) then it becomes a habit. good luck OP

Go do some aerobic exercise whether you want to or not. The next day, you should feel more energetic. Use that energy to exercise again. Repeat. And don't make bullshit excuses along the way.
