hey /fit/

I need your advice. I'm starting to gain weight and I need to start exercising. I will also start watching what I eat, which for me will be easy in comparison. The thing is, exercise is just fucking boring as shit to me. I don't have the money to join a gym right now, so that's out of the question. Can you recommend some ways to get in exercise that aren't boring as all fuck? If it's boring, I just won't do it. I would rather slit my wrists than get on a treadmill or go running. FUCK THAT. I need something to do that will take my mind off of the fact that I'm exercising. Can you guys give me some ideas?

>>do burpees, thousands of them

fix'd.

very very few people find exercise exciting or enjoyable, because it just fucking isn't. the idea is that you get over your childish demands that everything good for you must be immediately entertaining and you just fucking do it anyway.

if you want it bad enough, work for it. if you don't, don't, and do something that you actually want to do.

2nd that. do something that's useful but is also exercise. walk to the store. bike to work or the post office. fix up your house. weed the garden. walk your dog. play soccer with some buddies and go drinking afterwards. seriously.

not all exercise is a chore. yoga makes you feel good and relaxed. that's why they make ADHD kids do it. running and biking long distances release endorphins. do you like to swim? experiment until you find something that makes you feel good.

remember: you never feel like working out before you exercise, but after you work out you're almost always glad you did.

Record how much of everything you can do and also your measurements. Set goals for yourself. That way you can see your progress, which makes it much more meaningful.

Get a bicycle. Ride everywhere.
