If my goal at the moment is to lose body % fat, is it better to do cardio at the begining or end of my workout. I'm 5'8"(almost5'9") and 158Lbs

End. You want to lift weights when you have the most energy.

The best thing to do would be to split your cardio and weight lifting up into different parts of the day.

You mena go to the gym, lift weights, then go home, come back and do cardio? I'm a student, I dont have alot of time to run around, I try to do my 3 muscle groups and cardio and then leave, I go to the gym around 5-6 times a week.

You could just go running or biking outside.

No, go to the gym, move a bunch of weights around, THEN do cardio. Go over to a treadmill and run on it. There is no need to go home in between.

What are you, retarded?

No no, I just didnt know what you meant by"split it up" I tried that, and I was to tired to run, I only ran like a mile, and I couldn't do very much HIIT.

Yes, its supposed to be tougher. After doing weights, your body's glycogen (usable energy) levels are lower than normal. This (and first thing in the morning) is the best time to do cardio, if fatloss is your goal.

So yeah, just power it out, its worth it.

:/

Keep working at it and you'll get better. You can also take like a 10 minute break in between if you need or whatever, and if you do protein shakes that might be an ideal time to have one.

I should add, there is less glycogen available, so your body will burn body fat as fuel instead.

It will also burn muscle, thats why short, high intensity cardio is best (HIIT).

OP-
SO ya, I do take Whey shakes, cause I do want to gain muscle also, i want to be able to play junior lacrosse next year,(im to week, and to short at the moment). So after my weight lifting, take the shake, then do the cardio?
>> Hankatola !!09SbK9m7bBh
Sure, that should work. Its actually something i've been wondering myself. The shake is not likely to give you energy for cardio though, and if it does, its kind of a bad thing, because now you have to work off the shake too.

BUT HEY. Whatever works.

Well cause don't you ahve a window of less then 30mins to down the shake, if not it doesn't really work? So If I weightlift, then take a 3 mins break, then run for lets say 10-20 mine, thats leaving me 7 mins, which is a pretty small window.
