I have a problem with this, too - when I work out, I push my body to exhaustion/nausea, but I always figure that if I don't feel like complete shit after a good workout, I did something wrong. If you have an enduring problem with this, you should condition yourself to deal with it and throw up when you have to, rather than stopping. You can't really get in good shape if you're too much of a pussy to force yourself to the point of nausea, anyways.
So, I just suggest that when you feel sick, you should just do cardio until the problem surfaces enough for you to vomit. And don't ever eat before working out.
