Alright /fit/, I want to loose some weight.

Current stats:
Age - 18
Weight - 256
Height - 6'1
BMI - 28.3

I have full access to Syntha-6 protein shakes, creatine, and a gym. I have been using all three for the past year. I work out at least 5 days a week.

I'm coming off of four years of year round high school athletics so I'm no stranger to hard work. And I have a pretty good base to build off of seeing how I am pretty strong as is.

So my question to you is how much running should I incorporate and how should I diet to get thinner?

Picture kind of related, hueg chest is hueg.

nice troll attempt... but you have failed
loose =/= lose

It is really not a troll attempt. And sorry I misspelled "lose" I must have accidentally put an extra "o".

If you won’t help, fine. Maybe others will.

depends on your current shape... you say you're at a pretty good spot, so try starting out with 3-7 miles (10 minutes or less each)

OR

start out with a single HIIT sprint/walk mile

Can I take a wild guess that your diet consists of a lot of fast food, various chips and sweets, and a whole bunch of other crap a regular high schooler digests? If so, you trying to get big and healthy and crap by drinking protein shakes and doing a few lifts only made you gain fat.

No. I drink no pop, eat fast food rarely, and hate candy. Not a big fan of chips either but I will eat them. I have cut most if not all out of my current diet.

Never tried HIIT, would one be better doing it at say, a track, or on a treadmill?

I do mine on a tiny little 200 meter indoor track (I'm a uni student)

ideally HIIT should be a full sprint and a period where you're pretty much running on momentum from the sprint... most treadmills can't accomodate....

however, HIIT on a treadmill is also good

ymmv, choose what feels right to you
