Sandbag lifting Anonymous
sup /fit/, just constructed a sandbag set (got 200 pounds of sand, only 100 pounds in bags so far)

I'm an EXTREME ectomorph, 6' 145 pounds. I can squat 75 pounds of the sand pretty easily, but the problem is I can't CLEAN much more than that for a front squat. Should I just keep squatting lower weights til my arms develop into beasts that can clean over 100 pounds?

I think its mostly my forearms and grip. Thanks a lot :D

cleaning doesn't involve arm strength at all?

i guess if you can't hold on to the bar when you're jumping then work on grip strength, otherwise you aren't suppose to be using our arms at all. that's why when you see people cleaning their arms are straight until they get under the bar
