Hey /fit/,
I'm going to a pretty big party tonight and this will probably be the most drunk I will have been in a while. What should I eat to prepare?

What's your goal? To drink as much liquor as possible or to be as drunk as possible (and consume the fewest calories)?

If you want to drink a ton, just eat a ton of carbs first. Eat a huge pasta dinner, then go drink to oblivion. You may very well gain a pound from one night doing this.

Personally, I party on a relatively empty stomach. Stick to hard liquor, not beer, so you consume even less calories.

No matter what, make sure to drink a full glass of water for every beer or shot you have, or you're gonna get hung over!

Nothing wrong with that. I drink a LOT on the weekends, so I have to be careful so I don't put on weight. I party on an empty stomach, only drink hard liquor, etc. But if this is a one-time thing, just eat a big pasta dinner, and go out there and have fun.

My method isn't any less comfortable once you're used to it, but you have to know your body to make it work. It's way way more foolproof just to eat a bunch first and go get drunk on beer. You just can't be doing that 3 nights a week or you'll get fat.
