crea & shake Anonymous
Hey /fit/ I weigh 64 Kilo's and have 1,73 in height. I got some muscle going on here and there and been building up some strenght at the gym these last 2 years, but the thing is I'm not realy bulking up so I got some supplements.

I got creatine (nemonohydraat) and a jug of protien powder. I only gained 2-3 Kilo's since I started training.

So my question: Is it safe to load up on creatine and have a protiene shake? and who has experience with loading creatine(1 theespoon 4 times a day)?

protein shake after workout. helps repair. whey protein is good.

creatine is ok, will help you lift more.

Creatine is just below the line of illegal steroid.

Likewise, its side effects are just below those of illegal steroids.

Now I ask you this: DO YOU WANT FUNNY BALLS?!?!

I'd recommend staying away from that stuff, because the gains it offer only remain so long as you continue taking it. Stick with protein loading.

urr what? every time you eat red meat you consume creatine.
The stuff is harmless.

I wouldn't go as far as harmless, but it's not as bad as steroids. It most certainly does have its negatives, though. Moderation is key.

there has never been any worthwhile science showing detrimental effects.

It uses quite a few organs so you do run the risk of overloading them. Sure, there's no definitive studies on it, but that's just all the more reason to be careful.

Creatine is one of the most studied fitness supplements.

How on god's green earth could you ever "overload" your organs with creatine?
>> Anonymous
>>134747

By putting too much of something into your body, you're going to overwork the specific organs that control it. In this case, the pancreas, liver, and kidneys. As has been stated, the amount of stress placed on these organs from the use of creatine is unknown as there have not been any definitive studies.

Do you?

Yeah, I'm sure he's going to "overload" his organs with 4 teaspoons a day. If you'd stop being a queer, you'd understand we're not talking about killing yourself with retarded amounts of something.

People have died from drinking too much goddamn water, but do you tell them it's unhealthy and has unknown effects on their health? Of course you don't, dipshit. Creatine is about as safe as you can get.

The creatine package I got says that I got to drink 20gr of creatine for 5 days (loading fase). Then 5gr for 11weeks (maintaining fase). And finaly have a 4 week break. And then repeat from stage one.

DO NOT DO THE LOADING PHASE!

Google 'creatine negative loading effects'

And then google 'creatine positive loading effects'

YOU WILL SEE:

You have a very high chance of dying after 6 months of using creatine + the loading phase.

I recomend you do more research period.

All these know nothing of creatine.

Take it, keep to the phases of it. It'll help a little but don't expect it to be some magic substance that makes you gain tons of muscle. Like someone else said it does come naturally in red meat, and it CAN be hard on your liver if you keep up the loading phase for long peroids of time, but nothing more damaging than drinking alcohol can do. Also, make sure to drink lots of water while you're on it, or you will dehydrate very easy.

No, you don't know what creatine is. I'm sorry if you don't understand how certain things are synthesized, but that's not my problem.
>> Anonymous
Of course if you take in too much protein and creatine at once, over an extended amount of time you'll do damage.

Protein, is harder for your liver to break down than most things, including alcohol. So you can imagine if your cramming that shit down 24/7 plus a tonne of eggs, whey protein and so on, your liver is going to go into overdrive to process it all.

Generally as a rule, just don't go ape shit on the stuff and you'll be fine. All things in moderation.

Possible if you are taking far too much and not enough water in, I guess. But 'very high'? that's bullshit.
