Hi /fit/, I have some questions regarding diet soft drinks.

I'm not an idiot, so I know they aren't exactly good for you, that is they don't give you any benefits. The question though, is are they any better than regular soft drinks?

Maybe "better" isn't the right word. Are they significantly less bad for you compared to a regular soft drink? Are they worse? Are they equal?

Well, the thing is I don't actually buy soda, I get it at the campus dining halls. There, the options are usually Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Diet Sierra Mist, Wild Cherry Pepsi, Gatorade, Brisk Iced Tea, and Brisk Lemonade Iced Tea.

I checked, and hte Brisk stuff is actually worse for you than soda. I usually drink the Diet Sierra Mist since it has no caffeine.

I need something to drink, which would you guys get? The Gatorade is good, but on days you don't work out, I hear it's actually the worst for you.

They don't even fucking have water, unless I'm willing to shell o u $2 for bottled (which I am not, I got a meal plan for a reason).

I think you're lying. Everyone has water.

If they really have no water, scrounge up a couple bucks, go to a supermarket and buy a box of bottled water... it doesn't cost much.

diet coke is fine. According to my doctors, you'd have to drink a 12 pack every day to see any effects in a few years. I usually drink a can a day with my dinner.
