>>296813 K, stretching for weight lifting:
DON'T. Stretching may hinder your performance lifting. The most you want to do is a light warm up. I normally just swing my arms in circles backward, forward, and side to side while walking from the locker room to the gym. It would also be good to reach down towards your toes and just lift your knees up high a few times.
Running.
Stretching before running will loosen your legs up, while stretching afterwards you will be able to increase flexibility by pushing your stretch a bit more. When doing a stretch, hold it for at least 15 seconds.
Good stretches: -Sit down, feet in front, knees straight, grab your toes. *if this is easy, grab past your toes or grab the blade of your foot. -Same thing, just pull one leg in, then alternate.
Ummm, I'm going to look for pics to describe the next ones.
