Okay /fit/ I need to increase the amount of push-ups, sit-ups that I can do.

Push-ups I can do about 35 max in a row, similar with sit-ups.

I am not overweight, but I just can't exercise for a long time.

So my question is, how do I increase the amount of push-ups and sit-ups I can do?
Do I do them everyday?
Or do them separately every other day?
Will doing them everyday increase my endurance and lower my strength?

Help me out.

So please excuse the redundancy and help me out.

I also sweat easily, probably not related, but that also annoys me a little.

I'm kind of doing the same thing at the moment, I have started to add 1or 2 extra pushes or sits and then gradually working my way up.
Don't know if this helps.

What is it with you people and countless repetitions... Do harder, not more. Increase resistance instead of doing reps from dusk 'till dawn.

The numbers I posted are the minimum.
I want to be able to do 62 pushups and 55 crunches.

Well, go for it. FWIW, I find that strength training ups the number of pushups I can do, although obviously it's not going to give me super endurance like enduring will. But a combination won't hurt.

If I don't have a sufficient intake of protein, will that hurt my progress?

I once upped my number of pushups from 25 to 40 by doing them everyday and eating some beef jerky once in a while, not sure if the jerky contributed to those results though.

I've been doing pushups since I was about 14 years old, a routine of 3x(max # of continuous pushups I can do with 3-5min break in between). This is the only way I've gotten better at them. Just simple do them, lol. Even after stopping for about a year or so, I can still average about 60 as my maximum. It's an endurance thing.
