Can't eat those calories Mechazawa !SHjzCSZsqE
Hey /fit/, I've got a pretty easy question that I'm not too sure about.

I recently starting a diet (280 lb, 6'1 fatass here) and exercise regimen. Lots of jogging and weight training (not really the part I need help with I think) combined with a 2000 calorie a day diet.

The problem is, it's really tough for me to consume that much in a day. Even eating lighter, healthier stuff (fresh foods, fuck preservatives) fills me up really easily, so I end up eating an average of 1600-1800 calories.

Is this normal? Do I need to eat more or should I just lower my calorie intake?

Suggestions please.

I was like that at first, now i'm hungry pretty much constantly even thought i eat something like 5-6k cals a day.

Listen, if your full at 1800 calories you're doing just fine, DON'T force yourself to eat more.
I'm 6'5 in pretty decent shape and I eat roughly 1500-1800 calories a day, lift and run nearly every day.
So if you're trying to lose weight, then you're calorie intake is fine.

Ah. That's good to know. I just want to make sure my body isn't trying to get rid of my muscle mass or anything.

I'm trying to eat a lot more protein and fiber too....

How many meals a day are you putting this over? 2000 calories over 3 meals is though, but over 4 meals is easier. Also, don't force yourself to eat more then you want to eat. Listen to your body.

I find it hard to believe you got fat if 1800 calories fills you up.

I feel hunger pangs unless I eat at least 2400.

Threads like these have always boggled me, mostly because I've had an incredibly voracious appetite my entire life. I eat about 3000 calories a day, and that's with me consciously making an effort not to overeat. If I didn't give a shit and ate till I was full all the time I'd eat well over 5000 calories a day, easily.

I ate fast food and unhealthy shit for about 10 years. That and eating as fast as possible past being full, to a point of being uncomfortable.

Now I pace myself in eating, and I eat healthier shit.
Now I seriously feel like eating over 1700 would make me sick.
