Aloha /fit/

my period ended 8 days ago, but theres still blood in there or so. It looks kind of like old blood, like its dark and all.. Is that normal? If so, how long does it usually take for it to go away?

It's called breakthrough bleeding, and it happens sometimes. If you're on different medications temporarily or on certain forms of birth control it's almost expected. Still, ask a doctor.

Yeah, that might be. I started taking Yasmin last week when my period started.

When will it stop though?

Yeah, if this is your first time taking birth control then changes are to be expected, breakthrough or prolonged bleeding being one of them. It's pretty common, so I wouldn't worry about it just yet. However, if you keep bleeding all through the cycle, then you may want to speak to your doctor about it.

Its not.. I guess. I started by using the patch (Orthoevra) and now I switched to Yasmin.

Im reading about it and it says it usually stops after 2-6 months of using the pill. Does that mean Im going to have that everyday until 2-6 months?!

Not every day, no, but until your body gets used to the new synthetic hormones used then it's going to happen now and then.
