Hello /fit/,

So I've been working out at the gym for around 3 years (though with a few large breaks) now and I believe I pretty much reached as far as I can go naturally.

So I'm considering taking protein shakes, so what's /fit/'s opinion on those? any suggested brands? (tasted one shake a while back and it tasted horrible, so taste is a concern here)

Also, how do they compare to cheese-water?

Taste bad? Add fruit.

And what the hell is cheese water?

The by product of cheese, it's what most protein shakes are based on and it's supposed to be high in protein.

Ok well apparently /fit/ doesn't really want to answer that, so please just answer this - are there any known long range medical disadvantages to protein shakes?

dude, a protein shake is just like eating chicken breast minus all fat

the only disadvantage is getting poor

If not a troll.
protein shakes are considered "natural" by the vast majority of people, most only draw the line at steroids.

You fucking kidding me?

If you consider protein shakes as Steroids please never come back to /fit/

OP is thinking about taking shakes seeing as he's "reached as far as I can go naturally", meaning he considers them as not natural...

Well technically they aren't natural. Chocolate flavoured whey powder doesn't occur naturally.

OP, if you want something "Natural" drink a shit ton of milk instead.

Whey Protein is just a by product of turning milk into cheese, with a bit of flavour added, so standard protein powders aren't going to...

>Also, how do they compare to cheese-water?

You're a troll aren't you....

Protein shakes give you just that, protein you might not have had time to consume during the day, while steroids declench procedures in your body that do not normally happen whilst working out

The person you quoted never said they weren't natural.

oops I only read your post not OPs, the way your post was quoted and worded led me to think that you thought protein powder wasn't "natural" ironically my post led you to believe the same. sorry lol

Me me and me

Lemme clear up:

Protein shakes are NOT anabolic steriods (lol)
We had a misunderstanding, the only fag here is OP with his cheese-water and cluelessness concerning shakes
