Is there some chart for how much your skeleton... Anonymous
can handle?

A lot of men want to get a lot of muscle but I've always wondered the limit at which that weight is stressing your skeletal system.

Is there some kind of chart that to see this information? Also, is that what the BMI charts are accurate in...telling if your weight supports your skeleton?

For most men, anything above 200 lb and being six feet or less causes strain on your spine, whether it's muscle or fat. Not sure about bigger heights, though.

Weight training increases your bone density while adding muscle mass, so your concern isn't really valid.

Being 350 pounds and mother fuckingly fat that can't move without a scooter will have a shit for a skeleton.

A 300 pound man with a BF of ~13% would have joints and a skeleton capable of supporting a 400 pound man.

..Is probably going to be competing in the next Mr. Olympia

i don't think you can get too heavy for your skeleton without steroids and/or without being very fat

BMI has to do with the capacity of your heart to pump blood around your fat body

What if you're not fat?

this, seriously muscle in fact STRENGTHENS your body (you the fuck woulda thunk?), as long as your not doing roids you'll be within your bodies limit no matter how much muscle you gain

.. it can also be inaccurate for assessing obesity. A lot of strength athletes are "obese" with very little body fat.

You're still overweight, whether it's muscle or fat. The sheer volume of tissue is too much for your heart.

Shortfag here, 5'5" 245, same boat. I'm fucking jacked, no steroids. That shit about short stocky people having spine problems is total bullshit, if anything it's better for your spine to be short and have insane amounts of muscle supporting it.

not troll, he's right. But it's harder on your heart to be tall, and even worse to be tall and have a large mass. Best body for long life = short and skinny.

236958, inaccurate for assessing obesity?

Obesity doesn't have to mean fat, it's still over your target weight.

Overweight is called overweight and not "overfat."

Mountains of muscle still could greatly put you over your target weight and give put you into obese range.

It's just that we're always wrapped up with body fat percentage to take a look at bodybuilders and call them the same word as the gluttonous fat people.

Obese: Well above ones normal weight.

BMI isn't too wrong. There's a certain limit to which your body can handle weight, fat or muscle. You're straining your heart and spine otherwise.

Professional bodybuilders have a lot more to worry about than whether their heart can handle their size. Most men will never get close to that size without steroids, even after years of lifting. The terms overweight and obese are used as a rough estimate of a person's risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and stroke.
