What's the down side to these things, because other than maybe the sugar I'm not seeing anything wrong with the nutrition it has.

Eat real food, faggot.

It's basically only carbs.
If that's what you want, ok, otherwise I'd get a protein bar.

It'll keep you regular. But oatmeal does it better.

Nothing, really. They're fairly low in carbs, only 21 usable carbs in total since you're supposed to subtract fiber because it can't be digested. Low in calories, provide a bit of calcium and probably taste good.

Downsides that I've noticed include that, while low in fat, there isn't any good fat in them. The sugar isn't that much, but given the small size of snack bars like this, it's probably a lot of sugar for only 3-4 bites of food...same with the calories, they're low in calories but you have to factor in the size of the bar and how much it will fill you up. Also, one of the bigger downsides for ME, PERSONALLY, is that this is a tasty and easy access snack that is just plain binge bait. I wouldn't want these in my apartment, because I know I might be prone to eating one...then eating four more...then crying.

Overall, they aren't going to be bad for you and will be good if you don't have time to eat. People bitching about corn syrup are dickfucks, there's corn syrup in just about everything. It's not the corn syrup you worry about, but how much is in the product.

I have to agree with other anons, though, if you have the time for it, just make oatmeal or even eat Fiber One cereal since you're going to get a lot more food and less sugar for the same amount of calories.

macfag = failfag.

Even if they are low on fat, they use palm kernel oil wich is shit, but there is palm kernel oil in almost everything that is already prepared.
>> Anonymous
DO NOT EAT THAT

you see the first ingredient listed, chicory root? that shit will blow out your colon, you'll be so gassy and bloated.

>>198476
thanks for the serious input, I'll throw the rest of the bars in a donation box later and eat some oatmeal or fiber one cereal instead.

>>198338
also, I'm curious about cream of wheat thing too. that has to be good right?

Packed with hydrogenated oil & corn syrup. Might as well have a candy bar.

Protein bars, nigger. Check out this search to find one you might like:

Personally, I like Met-Rx's Pure Protein bars. 32g protein and only like 2-3g sugar. 300-310 calories per bar, as well. There's also Pure Protein bars, which have 30g protein for like 280 calories.
