Hello /fit/,
I work at a liquor store from 3 - 11, most of the time is spent standing around. I was wondering if someone could recommend some excerises to do while standing around.

Right now I got:
One Legged Squats
(10 reps 2 - 3 supersets)

Hand Grips
(Until Fail)

Stretching
(Wrists, Arms, Legs)

Standing
(I heard standing burns 191 calories per hour)

Calf raises. Pretty much all day, if you have no excuse not too. See if you can put a chinup bar out back and just do 2 or 3 every time you see it

Getting them pumped will get your body too put out all those good chemicals like hgh. Check out the Abs Diet sometime. Pretty good eating plan and they swear by squats, pushups, flyes and other mass/multi muscle building moves

Disagree pretty completely. If I could only do one exercise for the rest of my life, it would be pull ups. By altering angles and grips you can hit arms, forearms, chest, back, and by using one pro- and one suppinated grip, you can even stabilize abs.

The three essentials that need to be in every exercise plan are: push ups, pull ups, crunches.

If thats all you have, its all you'll need.

As for the OP, calf raises are good, you can go for ages and get a nice big pump happening.

I doubt you'll be getting 10 reps of pistols at first try, but good goal. (proper ATG pistols are fucking TOUGH)

Pushups are useless after maybe 4 weeks for most people who are fat and weak, because they need more resistance, incoming benchpress. Shit, what's that? Bench also allows a fuller range of motion, larger weights and stabilizers to be used? Fuck what a shitty exercise.

i'd suggest squats to everyone here because squats are something important that i know i avoided when i was new because they're difficult and scary. but when i finally manned up and did them i saw the best results. honestly, of any exercise you can do at the gym, SQUATS is the one that will do you the most good in the most muscle groups. they DO help you release more growth hormone and will help you build muscle over your entire body. that is why squats are so heavily pushed (and not just here). you can fucking call people names all you want to make yourself feel better but it doesn't change the basics of the exercise.

Also, 90% of the people here won't stick with ANYTHING you give them as advice. who are you to decide what they're ready to know and what they aren't.

I thought about putting a chinup bar outside but since the place is so small I couldn't find a good place. I didn't think about putting it outside though. I have one at the house in front of my kitchen. Everytime I go to the kitchen I did 2 pull-ups or chin-ups, now I'm up to four.
