In general, are you supposed to relax muscles in between repetitions, or keep them tense? Like for lat pulldowns, do you relax your arms when they're straight up?
Not if you want maximum growth.Unless it's an intended part of your plan (tabata, 5 reps on your triple weight with 10 second rest between etc)

your arms will be under tension from the weights pull so i don't see how they can relax to begin with.but lat pulldowns are for the physically disabled. chins and pulls instead.
