i only have about 10 mins before i have to get my ass to class, but i'm going to the gym immediately after so i figure i could get some advice before then.

i've been trying to get well-defined abs for awhile. i'm always eating healthy, i do crunches daily, but they aren't showing any more definition. what are some good exercises that a female should do to get better abs? i'm not shooting for a 6-pack, just more defined than what i have now. pic is of my stomach. i don't have a real camera ;\

I usually don't say this, but Jesus, nice freaking tits. If you don't want bulging abs, don't do heavy weight. Try hanging leg raises/knee raises, bicycles, maybe some flutter kicks, or even gymnastic style holds like planches. I really don't know how it will effect you but those don't work you may want to try using a medicine ball and holding it over your head (like an incline press) and sitting up. It isn't a lot of weight but it may make the difference. Wow, those are nice. Good luck!

for breakfast i usually have an apple and skim milk. for lunch i eat either a turkey sandwich on wheat bread (just a piece of lean turkey, no mayo or anything) and for dinner i eat grilled chicken or fish with rice and whatever veggies are in the house. if i get hungry i just eat a piece of fruit and i drink a ton of water. i haven't cheated in forever, been avoiding going to fast food places, etc. what should i be eating instead of what i am now?

for abs: quality vs. quantity. You get more out of doing 30 intensely slow and hard situps than you get out of doing 100. I do sets of 15, go from situps to side ups to frog situps. Take your sweet time, act as though you had a million pounds of resistance (ie tense up as much as you can). Defined abs are more a function of diet than anything else, but a little work never hurts.

In terms of diet, everytime you see someone in a magazine or something with a lolcrazy8pack or someone with a SLEEKSECKSEECORE they've been having a specialized diet prior to the shoot (something like carb loading just prior, water starvation, etc.).

Might be a better idea to do, say, a few sets of fifteen. The thing is sit-ups are only going to work the rectus abdominus and depending on form, the hip flexors. My personal choice would be sit-ups with hands on hips, crunches, and elbow-to-alternate-knee sit-ups for the obliques. Also, laying-down leg-lifts to work the pyramidalis muscle.

You need to up your calorie intake and vary it, a spoon of olive oil each day + a shitton of oats for breakfast is recommendable (even though the olive oil is fucking disgusting)
