You get them by having low body fat and exercising your obliques and abs.

plank, captain's chair (aka, knee or leg raises), leg raises on a bench.

also, low body fat is a must or you might as well play videogames instead of doing the above.

also: when/if you do the captain's chair, do each rep SLOWLY and stay contracted for a few seconds. i can't stand those assholes who do a million quick reps. RAGGEEE

I don't do much direct abdominal work. I used to do heavy side bends for a while, like 12 weeks worth, didn't take much. Then just had to lose fat. To do that I pretty much went on the diet described in burn the fat, feed the muscle.
