Hey /fit/, turkey bacon Y/N? I've been told it's better for you than normal bacon and was wondering if thats true. Also what else do you guys recommend for a good breakfast?
If it's low in Saturated fat, then it's probably good. It would also depend on what oil you cook it in.And really, almost anything is better than pig bacon, as it's one of the unhealthiest foods out there.
>>20627I usually don't cook it with oil.
>>20627not true, maybe the US American bacon is too fatty, in Europe you can buy ham and bacon lean as the best parts of beef
>>20627ITT: people who have never actually read the nutrition label on bacon hate it because someone told them to.
>>20637U.S bacon is pretty fatty and most parts of it is just plain fat.
>>20640O noes, fat!The only thing I hate more than trendy diet advice is trendy diet advice from fifteen years ago.
>>20642You're right, bacon is fantastic for you and you should eat a lot of it.
>>20644Oh Pixel. I never said eat a lot of it, I'm just saying it's not that bad.Now go away or I'll do another shot of High Fructose Corn Syrup.
>>20639>>20642I don't know about you guys, but at pretty much all the stores around here the bacon is far from lean-cut.And yeah, fat isn't bad. But bacon has too high of a saturated fat content for me to ever consider it a healthy part of my diet.
>>20654> to ever consider it a healthy part of my diet.This.
I don't think the nitrate and nitrites in regular bacon is too good for you.
