sup /fit/

I'm a chick who has taken a break from track and field running for about a month since the season is over. But I've decided to do my own workouts at the gym since yesterday. I'm planning to do this every day. In general I'm in pretty good shape. I'm 5'3, 120 lbs which isn't too bad. I'm a distance runner and do 6 min miles.

Since I'm a runner I have a good core, but my arms are flimsy as fuck. When I do the machines I use the lowest weight possible, like 30lbs for various exercises. I don't have much tone except for my abs, calfs, and chest area.

My arms and shoulders lack a tremendous amount of definition. I've been spending 3 hours in the gym for the past two days and use the machines, weights, and punching bags. I do full body workouts..not just my arms.

I eat normally- no soda, no junkfood, no alchohol, etc, but I tend to over eat occasionally. If I cut back on the food and keep at it at the gym, how long would it take for me to achieve the "perfect body"? The perfect body in my eyes would be basically being toned EVERYWHERE and lotsss of definition.

stop using the lowest weight, start training heavy.

use heavy freeweights above 20lbs. if it's plastic then its foofy shit.

This. Using heavier free weights will get you muscle definition, but you can avoid ending up BEEFCAEK

No need to avoid being beefcake, it isn't physically possible for a women to bulk to the extent you are thinking of(>>136207's picture) NATURALLY. Inless you're taking roids.

Stfu and pick up the iron.

guys how long would it take for me to get nice arms, shoulders, back, and lower back area, and toned upperthighs if I go to the gym everyday?

would you say a 3 months to a year?...what would the range be?

depends on age, metabolism, genetics. you should DEFINITELY see results by the end of 3 months, but in your case I would expect gains to be subtle, mainly because you're not trying to do anything drastic and because it's hard for girls to gain upper body mass/definition.

You also don't want to work the same muscle group without resting for 24 hours.

if you stick to the plan, you should see results in a month

btw, we expect to see results in excahnge for help if your body ends up like the op image
