Hey /ft/

I have issues with my eating habits ever since I started
working out, about 2 years ago; for the first 4 or so months I decided to drastically restructure my diet, eating every 3 hours on the dot 3-400 calorie meals and 100 calorie snacks spaced in between meals. Everything seemed to be going fine, I was losing a lot of weight and cleaning up quite nicely.

But, after going on a vacation in which I was not able to maintain my diet, my momentum was thrown off, and ever since that lapse I have been experiencing ridiculous cravings.

For the first year I sustained an extremely strong level of discipline very, very rarely lapsing into binge eating or the like; but after summer I began to satiate my hunger, resulting in binge eating, which sometimes turns into eating until physically uncomfortable.

Now I cannot eat normally, it feels as if I am always thinking of food regardless of when I last ate (it could even be 5 minutes after a meal). At first I thought I was just being glutenous, but it seems now that I am never mentally full, as even when it feels my stomach is about to burst I am still hungry.

Any ideas /ft/?

what you need is a workout buddy.
someone who you can tell not resort back to old ways, and vice versa.

I am not that unhealthy, when I binge it is with healthy foods (like almond butter, whole wheat bread, etc).

how the hell did you measure exactly the amount of calories with fruits and other shit that's whole, healthy, unboxed, unbarcoded? it's impressive, but i'm looking for holes because i'm jealous.

although more importantly, i don't think the exact calories is important. just eat healthy shit at healthy times. it's a human body, not a car.

You were probably following a way too strict diet and stressing yourself over it (and as you're not a pro or a model I don't really see the need) and your mind is now subconsciously refusing to go back to those days.
Take it easier, but don't exaggerate, and everything'll be fine.

do something physical when you feel like you need to eat but you know that you don't need to. Not necessarily lifting weights or cardio or anythign like that, just something that is outside and away from food, like gardening or waterskiing or just soemthing like that, you'll stop thinking about food.

Those are the symptoms of carbohydrate addiction/insulin resistance, not a mental problem or weak will. If that's the case you're constantly thinking of food because your sugar metabolism is shot and your cells are essentially starving to death, not because you're weak.

Well, shit. Is there anything to do to fight this off?
