I used to play a lot of DDR. The hard shit where my heart rate would hit 200 or so. Any benefits to this? Does is rival running, or does it not work as many muscles?

Anyway, DDR's a good form of cardio (at least for fat fucks it is). If you're so fat that you're embarassed to go outside, I'd start with DDR Light, then Standard, then a little bit of Heavy Mode.

Then switch from that to walking outside 30-45 min a day. Work your time up to 60 min. Mix in DDR to break the monotony.

Now start jogging 30...45....60min. Use 5 minute intervals to step your way up. By this time DDR should be just for fun, not exercise.

Finally, start giving running a shot. HIIT optional. If you follow this w/ a clean diet, you'll go from fat fuck to cardio machine in a few months.
