Hello /fit/

Today is the day I start taking better care of myself. Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle will be my bible. I'm 6 feet tall, 180 pounds. I know I have about 20 lbs of fat to shed. Besides BtF, FtM do you have any other resources? I already have FitDay and plan to implement it.

There will be no corn dog too succulent, no doughnut too sweet, no pizza laden with too many delicious toppings to make me stray.

I have full access to a 24 hr gym and a pull up bar and 35 lb dumbbells at home. Only problem is that I work from 6am - 5pm and some nights I have class afterward.

I've already lost from 220 to 170, back up to 180 now after maybe 2 years but my goals are anew.

Again, any advice you can give from those who have lost weight is appreciated.

I've already read it, and what it says in the book is basically how I lost my first amount of weight. Mostly the eating better and the 6 meals a day.

Errrrr... at 6 feet 180, you don't need to lose much, right? Probably just raise the quality of your foodstuffs and ramp up the exercise program. You'll be gaying out in front of the mirror in no time.

In terms of weight loss no, in terms of fat loss yes. I'm probably around 16% body fat, I'd like to get it to 8 or less. I plan on doing mostly cardio with some moderate resistance training on my off days. My biggest problem is the shitty food I eat, mostly because its easy to order something. Cheat days ruin me too. If I think "well its ok to eat this or that" then it starts to become a pattern. I'm not going to use "cheat days". I will map my calories and nutrition in regards with my expenditure of calories.. and if the numbers work well enough where I can eat some pizza then ok, but I think calling it a cheat day and that "its ok for me to eat bad food" sabotages me.

I just took tape measurements of my entire body, pretty disheartening. My hips are the widest part of my body and I'm a guy. Still though, my thighs are pretty big and should make for some nice squat gains.
