Hey /fit/

Now, lets be serious about this please. I'm a guy and I've been losing a lot of weight, i was 225lbs like 3 months ago, now I'm 180lbs. I've noticed my stretch marks a lot more lately, and it's giving a hell of a hard time because I'm self conscious and it means I'll never have a good looking body.

I was looking on the internet for solutions, and I found a few and I'd like to know if it's true or just money pits. First I heard tanning and then going very white again 2 or 3 times will kill the old skin and remove the stretch marks. Then, I was checking for creams that seemed to work and I found Revitol Stretch Mark Cream which everyone seems to like. Then, there laser resurfcing surgery.

Help a mis/fit/ out, what's the best solution, if any of those work ?

Nothing works, You're fucked. They'll get whiter later on, but they'll never disappear.

Cocoa butter lotion, OP. Pregnant women have been using it for ages, and it works. It takes a while, so you'll have to stick with it. Also, you smell like chocolate when you put it on. If you have a weakness for chocolate, you might not want to use cocoa butter because you may feel the urge to gnaw your own hands off.

PO here, they're not red, they're very white, with a silverish shine to them, does that mean it takes another kind of treatment ?

i used to be 6'2 225 and developed stretch marks on my sides right near my obliques. i'm now 6'2 170 doing some type of workout/exercise 5-6 times a week and in time they have gotten much less noticeable. i would assume a cream would be a good way to treat them if you want to, but they're never going to go away completely. i personally don't really mind mine now, they serve as a reminder of the past and when i started to notice that i was developing one on my stomach, it motivated me to change my diet immediately which started me on my now 2 year journey of getting /fit/

That's not true, is it ?

Anyways, any testimonials ? I really want to do something about them. Do girls find this disgusting ? I mean I have A LOT of stretch marks of my sides, like 10-15 and they're all white and shiny.

You're kinda SOL once they've gone white. At that point, its just pretty standard scar tissue; it will never fully disappear or regain its original texture and elasticity. That being said, you may have luck fading them with various scar creams, vit E, cocoa butter, etc.

Laser treatments can do wonderful things for stretch marks, but are most effective on pink and red marks versus older white ones. I'm not up-to-date on the most current laser treatments, but if your newly-baggy pants have deep pockets, it's probably worth looking into.

In other news, femanon here. Stretch marks on gut and arms gross me out. Stretch marks over hips kinda turn me on. Go figure.

I have 6 on my stomach. It fucking sucks. I wish they never appeared.

I've got a shitload, unfortunately. I can sympathize fellow anon. Getting fit and getting tan does help, and I do use cocoa butter. Another thing to try, and it's seems to help some is Bio-oil. Get it at your local Rite-Aid.

One thing I did for this big one on my shoulder, I got a nice tattoo over it. It's pretty much invisible as a result. So consider that if you are alright with tats, otherwise, just keep it up with cocoa butter and bio-oil. Tan regularly, and be sure to take a multi-vitamin every day. An extra zinc supplement would be even better.

Stretchmarks are nature's way of punishing you for being a disgusting fatass.

Just lose some weight and tone up. They won't go away, but people will be too busy looking at your kickin' abs to notice.

you're an idiot

A: when some folks gain muscle mass too quickly their skin can get stretch marks.

B: preggoez get stretch marks, doesn't make them fatasses.

go crawl back into your narrow-minded hole.

I got some stretch marks from just growing too fast when I was younger. I wasn't overweight at all, but my skin couldn't keep up with my torso/legs getting longer, so lil marks began to form. At the time I didn't notice/care enough to take care of them so now I have silvery marks on my sides :(

They fade with time., especially if you've got some hair on your stomach and whatnot.

I got mine from putting on weight like.. 6-7 years ago. I'm a 25 year old male. I don't think it looks that bad for me any longer.

I got a shitload from puberty, thighs, arms, back, sides, just everywhere. It sucks. I just try to ignore them. Most people have them anyway.
