Knee Problem Anonymous
Hey /fit/

All I wear are skate shoes, everywhere, doing everything.
I play basketball in them, wear them everywhere I go, and run in them.
Lately for the past two weeks give or take a few days, my lefts knee has been killing me.
Specifically on the bottom of my kneecap.

If I dont run around for a few days my knee doesnt really hurt, but after an intense game of basketabll or just running round in general there is a sharp pain when pressure is applied.
Is this because I wear skate shoes everywhere?
Oh and would lifting weights worsen my knee?

Pic related, its my shoes, but newer.

grow out of 7th grade, faggot. skate shoes aren't cool. get a pair of AIR JORDANS FUCK YEAH

get real shoes for bball, those shoes are fine to lift in. you probably have shinsplints or something. Make sure you use proper technique when lifting and no damage to knees will happen.

I'm not in 7th grade.
=\

I skate occasionally, shit sorta died out on me. Too much of "life" started happening so it kinda died out.
This is why all my shoes are skate shoes.

I'm fairly sure they aren't shin splints, seeing as its not really my leg or shin area, mostly knee.
Thanks for the answer though.

stop wearing skate shoes when you exercise. I wear skate shoes and have a similar problem when exercising in them.

Cheers man.
Does the problem go away after you stop wearing them while excercising?

This. Skate shoes usually don't have much padding in the front part of the shoe. Get some better shoes specifically for playing sports and running around.

Get some better shoes, and look into getting some fish oil supplements. Since it doesn't seem to be a chronic problem, you can probably skip the fish oil, though. Just let it heal completely and get some better padded shoes.
