So /fit/

The other day I ran home from work which meant i had to run up a hill.

When i say run, I fucking mean run, as in usain bolt can sick my dick if he can catch me run. After i'd dont my lil sprint, apart from having a headrush for 20 minutes and wanting to die, it got me thinking...

If you sprint properly, is it the same as lifting weights? Its basically anabolic if you do it right, and sprinters are always big guys, so is it similar to lifting?

Pic related, its a black guy.

Thought so... spriting is fucking awesome too, works legs, abs, arms, pretty much everything if you push hard enough.
Im gonna start sprinting after i've squatted my bodyweight and a half, thanks /fit/!

That's the principle behind interval training, and it can be a great supplement to a weight program. But you're not gonna gain a lot of muscle from just sprinting.

there is no greater feeling than the sheer agony you feel after you have finished a sprint. Run until you can't feel feelings.

That was the plan, run until I could taste blood in my mouth and the air hurt to breathe, and you get that dizzy feeling.

If your referring to HIIT, then no, if your sprinting hard enough, theres no way you can hold that shit up, rest for 2 minutes then do it again. I'm talking about sprinting as if theres a dinosaur behind you in a car with scissors ready to cut you up like a snowflake.
Try it, I guarentee your legs will feel like the first time you did squatz, like the floor is moving and its hard to balance.
