I currently do a 1 mile run followed by one mile of HIIT (Alternate between running and jogging for 8 laps to make up a mile on a track) since I don't have a watch to time 30 second intervals.
What else should I be adding on to this routine for a solid aerobic workout on my days between weightlifting?

Try some long distance running.

Or try and run a length, then do HIIT for half that time (it might be too brutal for traditional 30 second cycles. But it's up to you)

See how far you can push your time.
