'Sup, /fit/.

I love eggs. I usually make around 6-8 egg whites for a meal around 5 times a weeks. Lotsa' protein, as you know. I'd like to find a better alternative to cook them with, though. Butter is quite fattening. Can anyone give me a healthier alternative? Vegetable oil isn't any better, it seems.

I just googled "scrambled egg whites" and took a random picture from the first page. Not my meal.

Thanks for your help, by the by.

why don't you keep the yolks? of course your gonna eat less eggs in general but i don't see the point in chucking them away.

PS: try canola oil.

Spray on Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Because the yolks are what contain the cholesterol and fat.

You need fat/good cholesterol in your diet. I would eat 1 yolk per 4 egg whites.

1 yolk won't kill you you know. Well unless you don't exercise coz thats a different story.

Which I get from other sources.

I try to consume good fats. Egg yolks have saturated fat.

When I have the choice to take the saturated fats OUT of what I eat, I'm going to.

I always feel bad throwing yolks out, I wish there was something I could use em for

I feed them to my dogs

You can buy liquid egg whites. Just a suggestion. More expensive though.
I use a soy-based oil. Makes my eggs and chicken breasts tasty.

invest in a non-stick skillet. keep the metal tools off it, and you only need like a teaspoon of fat for lubrication.

I just cut up onions, mushrooms, and green peppers, toss em into the pan, let them fry for a moment

then put the egg whites in.

I don't bother with grease. Seems to work alright

Maybe we just have good pans?

if you dont leave the yolks in you are a faggot
do you seriously think that you are going to notice a difference

i fucking doubt it

One yolk however will help you live, seeing as never eating any yolks will cause a Biotin deficiency.

would something liek this work?

Olive oil FTW.

P.S. Eat your god damn yolks

Use a nonstick pan. I don't use butter or oil or anything. 2~3 eggs and a fuckton of pepper from a pepper grinder.
>> OP
Nonstick-Spray

i use pam for everything, it replaced fat and butter for everything i cook

Egg yolks have hardly any saturated fat you dunce.

What they do have is dietary cholesterol, which has basically no effect on the cholesterol levels in your blood. The yolk also has all of the vitamins, the choline, and half the protein. If you throw it away on the grounds that it has 1.5g of saturated fat in it you are a moron.

Eat the yolks. This whole just eating the whites thing is fad bullshit. Real bodybuilders laugh at people who just eat the whites. Yolks contain half the protein, and the cholesterol in them is actually GOOD for your health if you're working out regularly.

Also PAM or some sort of non-stick spray is a fine alternative. You don't have to grease up the pan with butter or oil just to fry/scramble some eggs.

1 Yolk per 6 egg whites. If you're trying to lose weight, that it.

Real bodybuilders are also disgusting unhealthy.

OP, you can try those butter-spray things. They're made out of vegetable oils, I believe... not fattening.

Sunflower Seed Oil.. it contains an essential fat.

non stick pan or, just throw em in a cup and microwave it. cooks it without adds

I eat 8 whole eggs a day, 4 in the morning and 4 before bed. I'm working on gaining weight and workout regularly. They are doing wonders for me and I'm perfectly healthy. I use to eat 12 egg whites and 4 yolks a day, but after I was reading up on the stronglifts website, I get the same thing with 8 whole eggs, and its a lot cheaper.

Actually, egg whites are cheaper (if you only want egg whites). 16 eggs for 3 bucks or 12 for the same price.

HARD BOIL THEM!

It is the best, and easiest way to consume them throughout the day.

Btw, did I mention healthiest?
>> Anonymous
try some olive oil or non-stick spray things
>> OP
mix it with a bit of milk and microwave it

Non-stick cooking spray. You can get it in butter flavour and it has like...practically no fat or calories.
