do squatz machines and bench machines really work?

I mean do they get the job done and use the same mussles as a squat rack and doing a regular bench?

reason is there is 2 gyms close to me and the closest I called and asked the guy about all that and he was like na but we got SQUAT MACHINE and bench press MACHINE, very top of the line

im like ok so what the fuck is the difference dont i want to be using free weights

so yea whats the diff and what will I be missing out on if I use these machines vs free weights

You know today at the gym some little faggot was calling about machines I told him about our new bench press and squat rack. Too bad he was too much of a faggot to know how to use them and the hung up on the phone.

So I can't use a squat rack unless I act like an arrogant prick?

it's simple, the squat needs profesionnal teaching and most gyms don't have high-level trainers, so they have machines, because they are easy to learn and don't want their asses sued.

From personal experience, machines are very annoying. I needed to adjust them, and even then, i hated the fixed paths. When i compare it, freeweights are much more fun due to the constant challenge. Especially the squat, i'll never get a machine that recreates the total body intensity of a squat.

You can take the unorthodox path and do your machines. I did that for 6 months before someone showed me the path.
