Okay - this is more HEALTH than FITNESS.

tl;dr SHORT VERSION - I think Pseudoephedrine and Tylenol Sinus/Cold PM cause rebound congestion. Is this true?

LONG VERSION - Congestion gives me sleep apnea. This is a problem during allergy season. I don't remember having allergies before, but apparently I started getting them in late May.

> Pseudoephedrine worked wonders, but it also caused insomnia, so I took tylenol sinus/cold PM to help me fall asleep as well as help with decongestion. But then I started having the symptoms worse.

> Then I was on 1 Xyzal every day, plus Omnaris. But then that stopped working.

> Then I was on 1 Xyzal and 1 Benadryl at night. That worked. But then it stopped working.

> Then I was on 1 Zyrtec a day. That worked, but then it started to fail me...

> Then I had a Sotradecol injection to my soft palate, and that overcame the sleep apnea enough to prolong the Zyrtec effectiveness.

Googling around, it looks like Psueodoephedrine doesn't cause rebound congestion, but the Tylenol Sinus/Cold might.

It's hard to tell though: most articles seem to focus on the rebound congestion caused by topical decongestants (nasal sprays).
