Get yourself to a quality shoe store, and have them watch (asses) your gait cycle. Ask for speed/normal walking shoes and NOT running shoes. The heel-toe transition and lateral posterior crash pad on both shoes is NOT the same.
Rest is important to not only the feet, but to higher up structures as well. Your knees and hips will thank you.
As for dealing with blisters, it is o.k. to lance them, but do not rip off the skin. Leave it in place and you wont be exposing the raw skin underneath to friction.
Brought to you by your friendly retail shoe fag.
