Is the wholemeal REALLY that much better for you?
what advantages does normal "white" pasta have over wholemeal?

No, it really isn't.

It's still pasta, it's still super high in carbs because it's still made out of flour. It's only marginally better for you. Don't expect miracles. Look at the nutritional information on the back. I'd be genuinely surprised if you saw a reduction of more than 15-20 calories for an equivalently sized serving.

wholemeal pasta didn't work better for me than normal pasta. on the other hand wholemeal rice worked better than normal white rice. don't know what's my problem with pasta. perhaps gluten or some other shit with high amount of wheat

Listen to this anon. Whole wheat has virtually the same number of carbs as white pasta, but whole wheat pasta will take your body more energy to process, as th carbs are more complex. Plus, whole wheat pasta is more fibrous than white, and there are liable to be more of various nutrients in it.
