Dear /fit/,

im only 16
im about 6foot
and 160 pounds

im in no clue about how fit i am,
but i would say about average, i have muscle
but its underneath my fat per say?

well im trying to get into shape, or should i say fit? i barely started this perspective 2 days ago, i started my running about 2.5 miles (walking/running) and i bought "The Perfect Pushups" ($20 at walmart)
so i was going to take in your guys/girls ideas into effect, on
simple and cheap ways to get into shape,
in about a month or so, i will join a gym

get "Starting Strength" and learn how to squat, deadlift, and overhead press. i wish someone had told me this when i was 16.

how about doing a martial art or sport, it'll keep you focused while you gain muscle and lose fat, plus something to strive for.

i always though boxing was rather intresting,

From your appearance I would judge you to be out of shape. but posting your numer of pushups and pullups, and well as your 1 RM on bench, squat, deadlift and overhead pess would give some more information. Maybe you are stronger then you look.

Do Muay Thai or judo, sambo, MMA, or wrestling. You will be very pleased that you did when you turn 20.
