Hey /fit/ what do you do to help you sleep. I've been having a hard time sleeping but I've heard chamomile tea works wonders. Pic related

go on computer until i feel tired. i sleep around 5-6 hours, i sleep at 5 and wake up at 10-11.

wow, i was litterally about to make the SAME EXACT POST. crazy. i also have heard tea has too much caffene to relax you, but dont listen to me i have no idea. my doctor said there are some over the counter sleep aides you can use for a last resort. doctor also said eating warm turkey and warm milk before bed. NEED MOAR ANSWERS

when i, after a week of 3 hours of sleep, called to demand sleeping pills, the nurse told me to drink warm milk (with honey), eat a banana, read a boring book/magazine or get some valerian root. and of course not smoke before bed. i find the not smoking helps most

Exercising later at night followed by a shower. It's probably the healthiest way to go.

Triptofan actually isn't what makes you sleepy. You can't ingest enough to make a difference through turkey. It's eating large amounts of food (which is typical on thanksgiving) that makes people sleepy. So just CHOW DOWN FATTY.

Aren't you supposed to avoid exercising at night when you have sleep problems?

No computer or exercises 5 hours before going to sleep. Nothing that agitates you, like rock music.
Do relaxing stuff like soft yoga, drawing, reading, studying (as long as you don't become aggresive or negative feeling)

do some cardio. drink some chamomile tea. the tea wont make you fall asleep, but it sure tastes good.
