Has anyone had any luck with this kind of equipment? It's supposed to hang on your door frame or something without being nailed or screwed on.

New schedule means no more gym without sacrificing sleep, so I'm looking for at-home stuff.

It works okay but in all truth it messes up your walls with those rubber stoppers. If you are going to use this for chin-ups then I would get the style that screws into the door frame. It works better.

Have both the one you expand inside the doorframe and the one in pic. Prefer the latter.
The horizontal bar has insufficient padding though making leave marks and discoloring so I recommend you add some of your own before using it.
Screw in/expand version has this to a slightly less degree but is not as versatile and not as quick to put up/remove.

Check your wall dimensions. Those things only fit pretty specific sizes.

Also, check your trim. If it is flat, you're golden. If it has any protrusions (such in as picture), you're not golden. These things will crush any lone protruding trim. It'll still work, but it will look bad.

Also, I have also experienced wall damage. Just get a sock or towel and put it over the parts that contact the wall and said damage will not occur.

Or use something like double sided tape and leave the plastic wrapping on it so it acts like a barrier to avoid wall damage.
