3 things: quitting smoking, oatmeal, and squats.
quitting smoking helped because i did so right before i started working out, so i easily became addicted to the endorphin rush that exercise gives you. it also made quitting smoking a lot easier.
oatmeal because breakfast, IMO, is the most important, #1, 100%, top piece of the puzzle in eating less and eating healthy. especially for someone who usually skips breakfast. eating a bowl of oatmeal in the morning really dramatically lowers your hunger throughout the rest of the day. like, it's noticeable.
squats because they kick ass. they're fun, they kick the shit out of, they work your whole body, they put you in a different world. i don't remember how i survived without doing that kind of work before.
i wasn't MORBIDLY obese, but i've lost 22 pounds in 2 months, down from 249 to 227, 26%bf to 15%bf. i'm still a work in progress.
