i dont fucking understand my body at all

first off im a big guy and am 6'5'' tall. in high school though i was a fucking fatass until senior year when i started developing back problems and was told to lose weight by my doctor. i weighed 330lbs then and lost around 70 pounds by graduation to go down to 260lbs just by cutting stupid shit out of my diet (soda, stupid ass hungry man xxl dinners after school, shit like that) and doing light work out sessions to fix my back

this past summer though i decided id try to slim down even more (my goal was to lose another 40 or so pounds) so i started going to a gym regularly, around 3-4 times a week. i dont know alot about working out besides the shit i learned in physical therapy for my back problem in high school but i would typically do 30 minutes of cardio and then basic shit with free weights

not only did it not work, but by the end of summer i even started to gain more weight. i think at the worst i was back to around 290 pounds during christmas break. to make things worse my class/work schedule for this semester sucks ass, and since class started again ive barely been able to work out, sometimes only once a week. for a long time i avoided weighing myself cause i thought i would be back over 300lbs again. last night though i decided to weigh myself and i somehow fucking lost tons of weight the past two months and im back at 260.

how the fuck does this happen? was all that weight from muscle or something? more importantly how do i lose more weight to get below 260lbs? despite cutting soda and shit out of my diet years ago i still have a shit diet and tend to eat alot of sugars and carbs. should i cut back on working out and stick to fixing my diet?

Here's the basic rule man you can eat as much as you want and lose weight.....but you haft to work all that food off. so you can eat everything you want but for a person your size you'll haft to run like 3 miles to lose weight ( would be more if you were smaller but since your quite large the fat puts more strain on the mussels cause it to work harder) So i would work on the diet. eat healthy for 6 days out of the week.(no soda, no candy, no fast food, etc, etc) Then on the 7th day eat healthy for breakfast eat semi-good for lunch and for dinner have a "cheat meal" where its you like but not to good for you. work on diet and work out you should lose some weight adjust if need be not everyone's body works the same.

yeh i'm the same. i stopped working out which made me feel less hungry and started walking more by not taking the bus to uni. this method is slower but my weight doesn't yo-yo before, it just goes down slowly, like a pound a week.

OP, muscle is denser than fat, thus weighing more. The reason your weight went up is because your body was beginning to transform the fat into muscle. It's not rare at all to see people working out who will gain weight because of this. Don't become discouraged, just think that as you're killing two birds with one stone as far as making strides in your personal fitness.

your lucky with me if i don't exercise i get hungrier. it sucks a lot cause you want to eat but you know if you do you'll regret it.

this is making me punch myself in the head at how fucking stupid you are. why the fuck does fixing your diet make you stop working out? are you some kind of incredibly stupid person?

your diet sucks and you know it so fix your fucking diet. what possible reason you have for needing to stop working out during this process i don't know, but it just makes you sound like a fat lazy motherfucker.

in short, SQUATZ.

By the way. There's no such thing as "turning fat into muscles". You burn fat, you develop muscles. Those processes are absolutely independent from each other.
