Knee pain Anonymous
So /fit/, before I can get to a real doctor, my left knee has pain when I bend it under stress (i.e. either squatting down, child's pose in yoga, etc). This never happened before, and it feels like it is right on the kneecap, if night slightly behind it. Not sure what I did; I did leg exercises the other day and it felt fine, but I played dodgeball last night for about a minute and it hurt afterwards. Any ideas?

sounds like you ignored stretching and jumped right on excercising. you usually realise such injuries a litle bit after workouts. if it so it will go away in 1.5-2 weeks, until then get a cane, be cool as doctor House

Retard, never stretch before working out, that makes it even worse. You do a proper warm-up, exercise, cool-down, then stretch.

Roll your IT band with a pvc pipe or a foam roller.

do glute activation exercises before a workout, focus on firing your hamstrings and glute more during squats and unilateral work.

warm up your knees on a bike or something for a few mins before squatting

also if you do tons of running. stop. stretch your hip flexors, psoas, and rectus femorus before running or squatting. there are some muscles that are beneficial to stretch before exercise.

all of the long distance runners i have met have the same problems and torn flexors/psoas. because they dont do enough weightlifting and proper mobility work.

also because running long distances is for fags

Notice how he didn't say "run a marathon" but "work out", kind of a big difference there.

851 is correct, and I also lol at your inferior training knowledge. Have fun compromising your training because of your blind adherence to the established norm. I mean everyone knows that you stretch before your workout, it must be right.

Not that you faggots do anything close to training anyways.

its the same fuckin shit imbicile, marathon will make even greater impact on knees then any other leg exercise. so by your logic " dont stretch before squatz, its bad, but when you run marathon your leg magicaly becomes different and you need stretching"
btw
