hey fit...

i have been running about 2 miles a day all summer, and lifting kinda light, doing pushups and crunches every night.

i am seeing some results, but not what i thought i would be seeing after 3 months of a decent amount of exercise.

so i am thinking about starting to take creatine.

but i don't know much about it. does it actually work? any negative side effects? is it worth it?

Made of fail. Creatine is in both meat and fish and your body is more than well equiped to deal with producing more or less as time goes by. has nothing to do with your liver, only negative side effects observed in patients with kidney disease. Recent studies say it is good for the brain as well.

Creatine increases work capacity in the anaerobic range. Thus it will nto make you jog farther and not automatically make you huge. You will gain water weight in the beginning but this will fade after a while. Many people benefit from an intial loading period of 20-40g and then 5g daily. Excess creatine is pee'd out anyway not processed by the body so theres little harm done.

Depending on what you mean by results it may or may not do what you want. It will not make you more defined, ripped or lowerbody fat. It will allowyou to lift heavier weights for more repetitions and be less sore the next day. so it can be veryhelpful for muscle growth.

you wouldn't.

op the gains from creatine will be very small considering what you're doing

OP's routine looks like pure fat loss. So why would someone one a fat loss routine take creatine? Conclusion: OP is a moron.
