Hey /fit/, my very good friend is a fucking idiot.He thinks that if you eat like 500 calories a day for 6 days then eat twice that on one day is a healthy diet. He truely believes that this one day is sending his matabolism into hyper drive and helping him lose weight. He's 190lbs and 6'ITT: Prove him right or wrong
so he's eating 4000 calories a week? i want to meet him, how does he live? i eat around 20000 calories a week and i'm still losing weight.

I fucking hate yams.Also, I eat like 35000 calories a week and am losing weight. It depends on what you eat as well as how you exercise.
Only 500 calories a day will shut down his metabolism, and he'll gain slightly more weight on the 1000 calorie day. If he's loosing weight, it's because he's starving himself.
umm. I've definitely heard of spiking your caloric intake like this... but 500 calories is much too little. Perhaps 1200 calories for 2-3 days and then 2000+ for one day. Less than that is not really healthy for any male.
