sup /fit/

so i need to 20-30 pounds, stat. ive been good about what i eat: salads for lunch, nothing after 8:00pm, staying away from junk food / sugars etc. im going to the gym regularly for cardio / muscles, etc.

how bad is it for me to indulge in liquor at 9-10 at night? i get craving for food at like 9pm+, but im limiting myself, so instead i head to the liquor. it seems to suppress my need. what is /fit/'s opinion?

pic related.

SoCo is of cheap quality, you need to upgrade to a fine scotch or bourbon.

This doesn't help.

Ok you need brand names? I prefer Highland Park single malt scotch whiskey, its aged in wooden caskets for 12 years to perfection.

avoid alcohol if you're trying to lose weight.

scotch is terrible, you need to upgrade to bourbon before people start taking you seriously

So what, hard liquor slows down the metabolism? Avoid at all times?

black coffee is also an appetite suppressant.

Alternatively, drink plain tea, eat some celery sticks... alcohol is shitloads of calories you don't need.

okay so i kind of fail tonight. im already drunk off this shit. what do you recommend i eat / take to suppress my late night cravings?

Theres no magic pill, you're stomach will shrink eventually when you don't eat as much, and then you won't crave it.

Like I said, plain coffee or tea, celery, a cup of yogurt, a dill pickle... and then drink a glass of water. All of these things are very low-cal, and will give your stomach the sense of having something in it.

And make sure you're drinking enough throughout the day. Dehydration causes pangs that are similar to hunger.

OP here. Dill pickles are great. So, eatting one for a late snack is cool?

At 10-15 calories each for huge ones, eat three if you want.

not OP. I was under the assumption that beer = shitloads of calories i dont need, wheres hard alcohol = fine @ reasonable amounts?

Even something like whiskey is around 40-50 calories per drink. Two of those, and you just bought yourself ten extra minutes on the treadmill.
