Would it be better to eat this half an hour before a cardio/anabolic workout or half an hour after?

Spaghetti and meatballs in generally, lots of carbs and some protein I guess, I am a nutrition n00b trying to lose weight. Only cheap food around here is generally pasta and hamburger.

What's wrong with spaghetti?If you use low fat meat (90/10 beef, chicken, turkey) and whole wheat noodles and dont' use cheese, it's pretty fucking healthy.
Make sure you eat a bunch of that about 20-30 minutes before doing SQUATZ. This will ensure that your body's nutrient levels do not become depleted during the workout. Since SQUATZ work basically the whole body this can happen very easily. Always wash it down with 500-750ml of milk too.
