1) Find a food guide, follow its recommendations. Make sure to take in a bit extra to cover the extra exercise you're doing. Eating healthy is far superior than any stupid diet. 2) If you don't mind suffering, do HITT. Do an LSD every once in a while to build up endurance. Sports are good too. 3) Don't stop weight training. 2-3x a week is still a good number, and run on off days.
I'd recommend doing it for health, not for looks. Genetics can play a role in how much fat you lose and where. I'm 6'1 and 200 lbs. I'm sure as heck ain't pretty ,but I'm healthy and in good physical shape. I'd rather the fat around my waist than around my organs.
