Insomnia and hunger Anonymous
Well /fit/, I suffer from insomnia every now and again. One of the annoyances this gives is that during those 8 or so hours that I don't sleep I get really hungry. I'm on a diet and don't know if I should or what to eat. Any suggestions?

Eat something light, like cottage cheese and some fruit.

eat well during the day before, eat regularly at specific times. eat every 3 hours, for 5 meals.

try resetting your circadian rhythm. melatonin is cheap and naturally occurs. it's produced in the body to make you sleepy. just 1-2 nights, 1-3 milligrams, might be all you need.

You know, after I eat a steak or two I get real sleepy.

Eat a shitload then pass out.

Well, it is recommended to eat every 3-4 hours, so if it's been 3 hours since you last ate, go right ahead and eat. Just eat something small. Preferrably something low-carb (like some cottage cheese).
