So /fit/ I'm thinking about going to a spa and getting a facial (inb4 faggot). What can I expect and will this help in getting rid of the few blackheads I have? What do i benefit from getting a facial other than the good feeling you get during it.

If you ask why I want to, it just seems like something new I want to experience and see if its worth my 60$

1/2 of fit cant even afford facials and your asking them what they think about them?
Well then you've come to the right place, from my experience, I love getting facials and massages. They are probably 2 of the greatest experiences you'll ever get. yes they will help with minor acne and blackheads as soon as the first treatment. Your face might peel a bit but thats a good sign since its just new skin. They may offer products to you since they get commission but dont feel pressured to buy them, since they're usually really really expensive

My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I get to have those for free because my aunt works there. That's not very effective. I sticked with benzoyde peroxide and all my problems vanished away.

Hello, thread hijack in process, I just bought a 5% benzoyde peroxide cream at the pharmacy yesterday. I have some mild acne, nothing serious. How long does it take for it to work? Did your skin get dry? Does it burn a little when you apply yours?

You should have looked for 2.5%. It's been shown to have the same advantages with less irration when compared to 5% and 10%. It doesn't burn per se(it will start to if you leave it on too long), but you will feel it. I would recommend buying a non-comedeogenic moisturizer (won't clog pores), cetophil is what I use. I wash my face with the benzoyl peroxide then moisturize in the morning and evening. My face is a bit red (either from dry skin, irritation, or peeling affect) but the results are great. I'd expect to see results within the first week, dramatic results within month or so.

Hi, thanks for the answers.
I did look for the 2.5% but 5% was the lowest concentration they had. Do you also use it on your back?

I got a poison ivy rash across my face and it itched like a mother for a month, but afterwards my skin was smooth and clear as a baby's.
