I started playing DDR (seriously, it's cardio you won't get bored with) and I've lost most of my gut in three months (about 15lbs) doing it for an hour 4 days a week. My back fat is a bit more stubborn but I've stepped things up a bit in the last week or so. It's not that hard anyways since my energy level has gone up so much from the workouts. But yeah, I'm 5'10" 165 as of ten minutes ago so I've got a bit further than you to go but this has worked for me.
