From what I remember, this works for awhile, but over time you start exhibiting conditions of someone who doesn't sleep at all, because you aren't getting enough REM sleep to repair the damaged cells, specifically brain cells. You end up with a damaged cell deficit over time. 6 20 minute naps, even assuming that you could achieve REM sleep in like 30 secs, would only equal to an hour and twenty minutes each night, where as normal people are getting I think just over 4 hours worth of REM cycles if you sleep for 8 hours.
