When you train your muscles they break down, and after the workout and aprx 48h after they build up again, if you get sore it means they are building up to be stronger. If you dont feel anything, you have basically just "used" your muscles and broken them down, but not "stressed"/pushed them enought to re-build stronger. You are basically the same as before that workout, and you are just maintaining your strenght/shape.
If you do the same excersizes week after week, with about the same weights and after a while you dont feel any soreness its becuase the body has gotten used to the work. You need to ALWAYS stress your muscles in new ways; new excersies, dropset, superset ,forced sets, negative sets, high rep or low rep, explosive movments and even angles need to be mixed up. ALWAYS do diffrent stuff each time at the gym, i cant stress that enough.
Your body is smart and lazy, it will adapt very fast. You can be training for years doing the same stuff over and over, nothing will happen unless you mix it up.
Even if you do stuff like squatz, deadlifts or benchpress with really heavy whieghts witch are very good exercises it doesnt matter. Go to the gym and really push your body to the limit and beyond. Always do as many reps you can on your wheight, dont just settle for 6-8 if you can do 2 more. And even after that, do some dropsets to really squeeze out the last bit of power
