How long would you expect it to take before I start to see results in size of the Biceps solely through push ups? Considering I'm doing as many as possible before I cannot lift myself anymore and then having a days rest.

Pic Unrelated.

How is this trolling?

I'm simply asking, I don't know alot about how the body works etc

Push ups don't work your biceps. At all. They'll make your chest and triceps bigger, but you should do curls or something for your biceps.

Curls?

Curls are stupid. Do chin-ups.

I would, but I don't have a bar or anything to do them with. I need a simple exercise I can do that doesn't involve anything like Dumbells. I don't have access to any at the moment.

Yeah, are there any exercises for biceps without equipment? i'd like to know this too. Seems I've bee living a lie thinking push ups would do the trick!

Troll.

If you really can't afford some dumbbells find something heavy around your house and curl it, like a concrete block or something metal. But seriously, get a fucking job, you should be able to find something for only $50.

Or go to some garage sales and buy some weights for $5 like I did.

I'll try find some this weekend.

Until then, however, is there nothing that can be done other than curls with an object?

You need to do curls.

Biceps really don't grow fast enough to keep in pace with the rest of the body so you need to isolate them and work em good to stay in proportion.

pushups do triceps and lats (and a variety of other things) BUT THEY DOESN"T MAKE YOU GET RIPPED BICEPS

Thanks man, that explains alot.

Established that.

lol @ self.... meant pecs not lats (though some variant pushups will work them ever so slightly)

That sounds like some bullshit right there. I haven't done curls or any other bicep isolation and my biceps grow in proportion with the rest of my body through compound exercises.

Bullshit biceps don't grow fast enough, poliquin says 15lb or so of lbm per inch on the arms, they grow plenty fast to keep up with that.

Although that's just 1 persons opinion, by the time you've gone from 150-165, your arms have EASILY added an inch, and because alot of mass comes from benchpress, you'll probs overshoot because of triceps growth (seeing they make up 2\3 the upper arm mass)

If you only care about building guns, aside from FUCK YOU, curls are the way to go. Hammer curls imo, atleast that way you get forearm and brachialis too, to help increase girth faster.
