fine then walk in your bare feet, don't come asking if its ok to wear spikes off of the track, and fight it when people tell you no.
I work for a shoe manufacturer, I am a rep who sells this kind of stuff. I ran track for 10 years, jr high through college, and i make my living knowing running shoes and track spikes.
You will break the face plate putting pressure on it, specially if you have spikes in. That plate will snap, and you won't have anything to run in. If you need a gun to go a block and a half, move to a better neighborhood, because you are pretty fucked if you can't be safe right outside your own house.
When you are running, do you really have your faggy pack with you? Running around carrying a gun while you do laps? You most likely take it off, so just lay your flip flops next to it. Not that hard to keep an eye on it, what the hell else are you going to do as you run around in a circle?
Oh, and those spikes aren't made for distance, i wouldn't even suggest them if you are doing more than a mile at a time. Just thought I would throw that in
