Arm Wrestling Anonymous

here's my problem, i have this friend who always beats me in arm wrestles, and i cannot for the life of me understand why. i can curl more than he can, my shoulders and pecs are stronger than his, as is every muscle i could possible conceive to be involved in arm wrestling, yet this guy always beats me. am i missing a trick here, is there some special way of doing it or muscle to develelop i don't know about?

Your mindframe is as important as your physical side imo. If you arm wrestle him going into it thinking "im going to lose", you are going to lose. If you go into it with "im going to win", you stand a much better chance.

Muhamman Ali went by this logic, positive thinking and having faith in yourself is pretty important.
