4 month progress pics

I just started lifting a week ago, just found out from my doctor he advised me not to lift due to something stupid and not because I could possibly do permanent damage so I started lifting

anyway, I've heard mixed opinions on lifting and cardio while cutting though I'm still going to do it since it will benefit my cut and help retain muscle and prevent atrophy but will I gain little to no muscle at all during all that time?

also rip into me
>> Anonymous
Well I'm currently cutting AND gaining strength, dunno if I'm gaining muscle but I prioritize lower BF% than large MUSSLEZ

Right but OP was asking if strength gained is very minimal while lifting and cutting, which it is.

VERY MINIMAL. but it does help the cut!

Your doctor loves your supple boobies too much to see them go away

A strong improvement for 4 months. I wouldn't necessarily be so anxious to lift until you continue with the cardio.

A much more sensible idea would be to do some toning exercises in addition to the cardio (such as the use of a resistance band). But it also looks like the weight is coming off in a really healthy and proportioned manner.

Personally, just keep doing what you've been doing until you have an obvious decline in progress, and then go ahead and add in some lifting.

ah yeah I didn't cut the cardio in fact I decided to double my cardio from 1 30-45 minute session daily to 2 30 minutes and lifting to break through a bitch of a plateau, so I'm still doing plenty cardio daily and just not doing any weights with my legs

and minimal squats, except I squat the day before my rest day so I can get enough leg rest too

good job!

Well, unless that plateau becomes a real problem, you sound like you're right where you should be. Adding lifts wouldn't hurt, but you would likely see very minimal results at this point.

If it makes u feel better i lost 15lbs in 2 months while increasing all my max weights, working out 2 hours a day and just about having achieved a 6 pack.

You should add more weights, MUSCLES = FATBURN
>> Anonymous
Impressive for 4months.
You should speak to my girlfriend and give the chunky bitch some tips.

I recommend lifting weights on top of whatever you're doing at the minute (which is obliviously working).

Any muscle you develop will help to burn more fat.

You could try alternate days of lifting and cardio.
Remember to take rest days though, them bitches are critical.

i have gynecomastia too. if i was to get surgery would it be expensive or would it be covered by insurance?
>> Anonymous
Gynecomastia is NOT a bodyfat issue.
If OP drops more fat, he'll get rid of his manboobs.
Gynecomastis IS a hormonal disorder problem.
You fuckers all diagnose this shit and Pectus Excavatum on everyone.

O SNAP

>>248379
if you're op and you weigh that much you have next to no muscle mass.

stop cutting and start building muscle, you'll burn those meaty man tits off faster that way
>> Anonymous
You are losing weight and being healthier. Good job.
>> Anonymous
how tall is OP?

>>247737

Hey OP, eat protein and lift more. My concern with your progress pics are that while you are certainly losing WEIGHT, it doesn't seem to be largely body fat. It seems that your lean body mass is falling roughly proportionally to the rest of you.

Lean mass is your friend and you'll want to try as hard as you can to not lose it. So, read up on protein supplementation and start lifting more. And yeah, do cardio, lots of it, but make sure your diet is in line with being able to sustain fat loss with minimal risk to lean loss.

I feel sorry for you cause you had big boobs when you were fatter. Now when you get skinny your gonna have saggy boobs that are going to look like shit unless you get some nice chest muscles. Seriously go bench press 5x5 and start working that shit out, because its going to take awhile for you to not look like a fucking fatty who just lost abunch of weight

Scales can be wrong. I got down to 210lbs according to my home scales. Then I went to a nurse and she weighed me with her superduper medical scales and apparently I am actually 230lbs.
>> Anonymous
>>248379
How come you're partially erect?
>> Anonymous
>>248438

It looks like fat from here. Look at the traps, shoulders, chest, they all appear to have lost fat in relation to muscle. Face and stomach clearly reduced too.

There's been a big fat loss, clearly not 30lbs, that number will be buffered by other shit such as water retention, but a good job on the weight loss.

Continue or start packing on muscle. Personally i would definitly consider packing on muscle before another 10lbs total lossed, it'll just start becoming too inneficient and slow.
>> Anonymous
Good job Op! May I ask what your routine was, and what your diet consisted of? Many thanks. Keep it up!
>> Anonymous
all i have to say is whoa nice job. seriously. But if you want muscle eat lots of protein 2 hours before you work out. Or do what I do and got to your local GNC get some protein shake (dont expect it to taste good) and a daily multi vitamin

30-50m cardio daily with sunday as rest day, sometimes I'd take a day off if I pushed myself too hard the day before, at the beginning

Recent routine is lifting M/W/F with 2 sessions of cardio daily to break through a plateau(morning then night 30m sessions) & as many intervals of tataba sprinting as I could possibly do before I die, but only tataba once a week

dranks: water and skim milk or 1% milk only,
also my whey protein shakes post workout
Breakfast: 2-4 egg whites, oats w/ skim milk and cinnamon and some raisins maybe some whole grain bread w/ suga free jelly

lunch: something lean(chicken, fish, steak, tuna, beef, turkey) and some greens, broccoli, asparagus, peas, green beans with carrots maybe

dinner: same as lunch just smaller portion my first few meals are the biggest calorie wise and dinner is the smallest

in between meals range anywhere from fruit and cottage cheese to a few slices of turkey and a sweet potato

right before bed is either non-fat or low-fat cottage cheese
