So I have this fat ass friend, /fit/, who claims he does not have the time to get to a gym. Weak as fuck, I said, as I work two fucking jobs, and I can still find time to go. Furthermore, I explained Tabata to him - giving him the pro's; it takes no fucking time, it costs jack shit and it involves squats. This was last week - I said do the tabata thing at least once, and do 4 minutes. I asked him if he did, he said "I didn't get time". Fuck. That.

Then I told him if he wants to loose weight, he needs to do that kind of work (and mix in calesthenics and so on) and eat around 1800 calories a day. He said he cannot understand how he eats more than this. I said "dude, you fucking drink 3 or 4 cans of Soda a DAY. At least".

Sorry /fit/, I just had to get this off my chest. Other than killing him, what else can I do to educate the dumb fuck?

Man, hate all you want, being Vegan is the most worthwhile choice I have ever made in my life. I dont want to make this into a morality of veganism debate though. You eat meat, I dont, end of story. I dont think you are a bad person because of it. Perhaps a little misguided thats all. No biggie. Everyone I know eats meat. Its just a fact of life.

OP here - to the person who asked why I care.

I don't. He complains about being fat, he no longer wishes to be fat. I gave him some advice that would help him in this aim. He chooses to ignore it.

He doesn't have to do much. Make him cut out soda, and working out for an hour or so a day.

If he has the problem I have/had, it's that working out is Fucking boring as Fuck, and most gyms cost money so that you can dress in shitty clothes and have fit,healthy people make fun of you till you get fit or sit on their skinny bodies and kill them with your fat.

My advice: Have him cut out soda and any drinks besides water and flavored water. If he does that, he'll lose a few pounds in a month or so. Also, have him eat small, COOKED(not stuff in bags/fast food/etc.) every two hours, or small(like one scoop of ice cream small) deserts. This keeps his metabolism burning fat.

Second, make him buy a nintendo wii. have him play wii sports or something that makes you jump around to play for an hour or two per day.

Shit about eating 'good' or 'less' is bullshit, unless you're dumping whole chocolate cakes down your throat every hour.
The only 'Bad' food for you is when you over-abuse something(only eating bread-products like Ramen and Pasta), and things with Trans-fats.

Counting Calories will only make him feel worse cause he'll freak out over the tiny servings he thinks he can have,and he won't do it.
