Sup /fit/

I'm 5'6, 158 Lbs right now. I used to eat whatever the fuck I wanted and sit on my ass about 8 hours a day. Starting last week, I began changing my eating habits by reducing portion sizes and trying to cut out excessive calories. In addition, I've began running a mile every evening. I know it's soon, but when will I see results?

OP Here:

Also, how many calories should I be consuming a day in order to lose weight?

When you stop halfassing it and put some commitment into it.

lurk moar.

you need to increase your lean muscle mass, not just lose "weight."

this is a fucking fact. you should aim to maintain your weight actually, and just build muscle
>> Anomolous
A mile a day won't do shit, try harder faggot

Don't listen, for 5'6, you should try to lose WEIGHT, not maintain it.

OP Here, I should make it clear that I'm not trying to put on muscle, just trying to be thinner, does that make a difference?

total fail, 158lbs is tiny bitch even for his height. go back to /fa/

makes a huge difference, because this doesn't belong on /fit/
theres nothing fit about wanting not to gain muscle and just weigh less. this thread belongs on /fa/ if your goal is just to weigh less. thats not being fit

/fit/ is HEALTH and fitness. Health, in that he would like to get closer to a healthy weight/lifestyle, and actually fit as well in that he is exercising. Fit doesn't necessarily equal squats and protein powder.

Go post in the "perfect ass" thread if you're going to bitch.
