Okay, so I've been dating/sexing my girlfriend for over a year. She was a virgin before I got to her. Since the initial push sex has been fantastic.

But for the past few months it's been increasingly uncomfortable for her to have intercourse. Now it's to the point where sex is actually causing her pain. (She says it's a stinging/aching sensation and it lasts for about a day afterwards.) It's to the point where we can't even really have sex anymore. We tried giving it a break for a few weeks and start up again but that didn't help at all. It's making her feel shitty and her gynecologist is filled up for appointments for months.

What could be wrong with her? I know she had an outbreak of ovarian cysts a few years ago that were extremely painful, I'm not sure if that's relevant or not.

TLDR; girlfriend is in pain during intercourse. :(

Might I suggest waiting until she is sexually aroused and therefore... wet?

HUH? Or do you have a sandpaper cock?

Man, for her sake I hope she doesn't have vulvodynia. They don't even really know how to treat it effectively. D:

Look up a few websites dealing with women's health. I've heard that Vagina Pagina is pretty informative, even if their name is shit. There is even a livejournal community she could post at and ask for help.

I might have the answer! Go to the doctor and have them test for trichomoniasis. I just went to my doctor and found out that's what I had that made sex so painful.

Probably ovarian cysts. Fairly common, can be extremely painful. Kept me from fucking my boyfriend regularly for nearly 2 years. Poor guy.

Of course we engage in foreplay, you think I just yank down her pants and go at it? If my lack of skill at arousing her was the problem, she'd definitely be bitching about it.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll toss them her way and see what she thinks. She's almost leaning towards cysts again since she's had such a problem with them, and also she's been telling me she's been having period-like cramps even though it's nowhere near that time of the month, just like the last time she had cysts.
