Alright, super quick question.
I'm a pretty skinny girl (pic related), but have flab in all the regular flab gathering areas. So, this summer, I'm trying to do something to remedy this. Nothing big, but just something. I'm starting to do about 55 crunches each night, and 40 squats. Sometimes I switch the crunches out for leg lifts, which I do for 10 seconds, then 20...up to 50. Anyway, a few hours ago, I was talking to my boyfriend about this, and he said I should be doing at least 100 crunches. I couldn't tell if he was serious or not. I'm sorry if this sounds really stupid, but I really do not know. Is 55 okay? I am doing more gradually, but I doubt I can make it up to 100...

55 crunches a day is... not a whole lot, really.
I work my abs about 2-3 times a week, I do about 600 crunches and it still doesn't feel like it's enough to make a difference.
If your goal is to lose flab then maybe some cardio is the answer. It's summer, you could always go swimming or something.

Flex your abs before each crunch to provide resistance, and you'll have to do a lot less before feeling it. It's the same idea as doing crunches on an exercise ball, where your abs tense up trying to stabilize you, and you do a crunch against that.

u cant just lose fat from one area of your body. drop the crunches and all that shit and hit the track. run your ass off to get rid of that last layer of fat. all crunches will do it strengthen your abs, your abs wont show if theres still a layer of flab surrounding it.
