Hey /fit/, I'm a vegetarian, and I'm looking for ways to cut my weight. I've got decent muscle mass, but too much fat covering it up. I'm 6'4'' and 240 lbs. Any suggestions?

GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I HATE YOU PEOPLE, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD JUST EAT SOME DAMN MEAT.
However I will help you best I can.
Celery, this shit is awesome. You burn more calories trying to digest it, than it has in it.
Eat nuts: Almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, what ever. They are full of healthy fats which help thin your blood, and lower LDL(bad) cholesterol.
Stick to fruits that are high in fiber like apples, and banana's which have 4-5 grams each.
Also choose whole grains like brown rice, and whole grain bread over white rice, and white bread. Remember to read the lable, some "whole wheat" breads are half whole wheat, and half refined wheat(white flour).

1. FUCK YOU, IT'S UNNATURAL AND HURTS HUMAN BEINGS BECAUSE OF THE HORMONES IN IT, AND LACK OF LAND AVAILABLE FOR...ECT

2. thank you, I appreciate the info, but i already knew most of that, except for the fiber in bananas bit. That helps as they're one of my favorite foods

Human beings have been eating meat since the dawn of man.
Your body needs b-12, calcium, iron, and zinc, which is hard to get in a vegetarian diet. b-12 is impossible to get in a vegetarian diet.
Cholesterol which is only found in meat, is essential in our diets. Every single cell in our bodies have cholesterol, with out it our bodies would literally collapse. Sure our liver makes cholesterol, about 50-60%(off the top of my head) of what we actually need. Low levels of cholesterol leads to low levels of energy, and a weakend immune system.
Don't get me wrong, I am by no means a barbarian.

Actually dude, not eating meat is unnatural. All you have to do is look at your front teeth. Those are the teeth of a carnivore my friend.

I lol'd. Humans (and animals alike) have been eating meat since they knew that meat was edible. Unnatural my ass.

Second, most vegetables these days have more bad science running through them than today's meats. Unless you buy strictly organic (lol 4channer affording a strictly organic vegan diet) your fruits and vegetables probably have things coursing through them that would make you think twice.

if you're going to eat organic, the most important thing is to eat organic meat. the difference between organic and normal fruits/veggs is little, compared to meats. those crazy ass growth hormone chemicals, they they do retarded shit to the animals, like grow so fast some can't stand. i don't want that shit going through me, i don't care what any ruling body declares as "safe for human consumption". my ass.

note however i'm a poor ass and only get organic when i can afford it, so there you go.

Don't be a vegetarian because you care about animals. Be a vegetarian because you like vegetables. I recently started eating meat again but my diet has always consisted largely of fruits and veggies because they're fucking delicious.

Also, cardio.
