So, I'm on a diet, I've been working out, I've lost seventeen pounds so far. Today I feel like crap, I just want to eat some cookies and take a nap. Tell me why I should go to the gym.

If you eat the cookies and skip the gym, you will hate yourself later. Don't do that to yourself, just keep up the routine.

Exercise will release seratonin and you'll feel good. You've lost 17 pounds but need to lose more. What is more important, 30 minutes of cookie flavor or looking good in a bathing suit in June?

You know what you want to do is 'wrong.' Just don't do it. Put your shoes on. Change clothes. Go to the gym. You will love yourself all day if you do. If you eat cookies, you'll only be momentarily happy.

look at girls that are fit and save material for fapping, watch people in worse shape than you and feel better about yourself.

take a bite of a cookie, first bite is as good as the taste gets, then get your ass to the gym

Skip the cookies.

Get to the gym and do something light. Work forearms or just fuck around with some of the Hammer machines. Some days you just feel like shit; but if you can go to the gym anyway, even just to do wrist curls and machine shrugs, you're ahead of the curve.

Congrats on your 17 pounds!
Why should you stop now?
If you skip the gym, you know you'll slowly fall back and lose all the progress you made. Don't give up! Think of that great rush you get after the gym... You know you like it

Do it or I'll kill your guinea pig.

PROTIP #2 : a couple coookies dont = 17 pounds. most people fail on their diets because they dont indulge.. ever. then they over indulge and gain the weight back.

hell my diet consists of exercise and healthy foods during the week, and donuts, chinese food and candy during the weekend when i work. im still losing weight.

have a few cookies, youve earned them. then go to the gym and the earn the ones youll be eating next week.

me again.

a 'diet' isnt going to work in the long term, you need to permanently change your eating habits, and cutting sweets out completely is going to be damn near impossible, especially since your body craves them naturally. dont stop eating them, just eat less.

I skipped running yesterday and ate chinese food, i feel like crap today, go to the gym, if your still on this thread then get up RIGHT NOW and go, seriously. after 10 minutes or so of working out you'll start to feel way better, trust me.

go to the gym. then eat your fucking cookies, fatty.

actually, post an intense workout you've got a bit of a gap where the body is looking to replace muscle glycogen and so it'll probably not turn those cookies into fat. but, still, if you're fat it's not a good idea to make a habit of it because your body can only do so much.

so have your cookies. after your workout. or i'll kill you.

Damn straight. A refusal to eat certain foods because "they'll make you fat" is one of the symptoms of an eating disorder.

CONFIRMED

Promax is the fucking shit. I can get them at my local grocery store (HEB) for a dollar a bar.

OP needs to get their diet in order. You probably feel shitty and tired because your body has no fuel. Eat carbs.

Protip: Eat a bowl of oatmeal about half an hour before you go to workout. Combine this with adequate water intake and you'll feel all sorts more awake and energized.
(oatmeal is such a great food I can't even explain all the reasons)
