I used to lose 3-5 lbs a week doing this:
-Eat 800 calories a day. It doesn't matter what you eat, just make sure the food is low in fat. So you'd want to eat sandwich meat and fat free ice cream.
-Chew a lot of sugar free gum.
-Drink lots of water and black coffee.

Do the above for 3-5 days out of the week. If you want to fuck up your body even more, do the above every day for a few months.

a) not be effective in the long term as it will infact cause your metabolism to decrease significantly resulting in easier weight GAIN in the future

Let's say that you're average weight, height, etc.
You need about 2000 calories a day (assuming you're active). This means 14000 calories a week.
To lose one lb a week, you need to eat 3500 calories less than 14000 for a week--that's about about 1500 calories a day or 10500 calories a week.

If you eat 800 calories every day, that's 2.5 lbs lost a week; you'll lose more if you're a total fatass. Lower your daily calorie intake by even more and you'll lose more.

It's unhealthy and can eventually kill you, but you'll lose weight fast.

As stated above, sugar free gum and coffee works.
You can try eating raw celery and cucumber. They barely have any calories in them.

-Eat smaller meals throughout the day; eat one meal every two hours. Always eat slowly and drink water with each meal.

-Drink broth (chicken, beef, vegetable, etc.) because it's very low in calories and makes you feel full.

Oh and remember to take vitamins while cutting calories.
