alright, since you didn't answer my question i'll just post what i did.
i started taking sips of water whenever my mouth got dry. it stopped my lungs from feeling as if someone was sitting on my chest.
after that i started doing intervals. when i first began i could only do 15~20 minutes of walking/jogging, now i can do 50 or more. i start out with a 5 minute warm up, then do 10 minutes fast, then i slow down again. then fat again, then slow down, etc etc. you can go a lot longer if you just slow down before you tire yourself completely. it took no effort to do 45 minutes the first time it tried doing this, and the only reason i don't go past an hour is because i've other shit i have to do.
