Don't come to /fit/ for encouragement, but keep this in mind.

The only, ONLY fatties I respect, are those that are trying to change. The rest of them I see as weak willed invalids who can't take 30 minutes a day to stave off their morbid condition.

you have started a long and perilous journey, but you are already making success. when you finish this journey, you will be a hero, and a beacon of hope to all like you.

dude, it's so much easier to just stuff your face until you qualify for bariatric surgery. why the hell would you want to work out and eat healthy

Points for practicality, but then would you be able to switch to fit as soon as you'd had the surgery? You'd still need to eat healthy.
Plus, (assuming bariatric is something along the lines of a stomach stapling) being muscular becomes incredibly hard, as you simply can't take in enough protein.

YOU WILL NEVER BE THIN, OP. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABOVE 300LB AND NO ONE WILL EVER LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE. ANYONE WHO YOU TRY TO DATE WILL EITHER LAUGH AT YOU OR REGRET THEY EVER STARTED SEEING SOMEONE OF SUCH EPIC PROPORTIONS.

ALSO, YOU SMELL BAD. STOP IT. I CAN TELL FROM ALL THE WAY OVER HERE.

Listen young grasshopper/ I was 466 LBS when my father who was also about my weight died. I didn't want to be like my father, I didn't want my fat ti kill me. I did something liek you, albiet not on /fit/, on another site, but the point is, lsiten to the stuff the good /fit/ness people have to say, and ingore the assholes and the trolls. I weigh 230LBS now and am about to marry my fiance of 1 year. Anything you commit yourself to is possible friend, Best of luck, and don't give up.

on the plus side, think of this: when you do get thin, your loose skin will probably be horrible enough that you'll qualify for surgery under your insurance

Forget bariatric surgery. The guy said he is ALREADY losing weight. Trust me, this is the toughest part. A couple hundred pounds of becoming "less fat" rather than becoming "thin".

Stick it out. It's worth it. Being overweight has it's problems, but morbid obesity sucks. You can't even comprehend how much better your life will be.

Trust me. Talking from experience. 385# - 182#. Breathing alone feels better.
