Dips and Chins Anonymous
I work out maybe 3/4 times a week. im underage. when i try and do pullups on the machine i develop a really tender area at the centre/bottom of my ribcage. im quite confused by this, any thoughts?

its for weaker people. has a sort of counter weight thing, im not sure how to describe it. its essentially a pull up with a little bit of weight to help

It sounds like you're probably wobbling all over the place and stimulating DOMS in your obliques. I'm impressed.

More likely option: You're way too fucking tight and your body's just stretching its shit out.

On a related note, stretch for fuck sakes. Practice elongated posture and quasi-yoga positions to stretch out your core, then strengthen your core. Holding planks, hanging leg raises, oblique bends, and so on.

Then you'll annihilate dips/chins, cheers!

Oh man, this happens to me too!

Whenever I run on a less-than-adequate amount of sleep, there is a spot at the very bottom/middle of my ribcage that will start to hurt, and if I aggravate it by running harder, it can get extremely painful.

I don't know what it is, but it seems to be related to gastro-intestinal function in my case...
