the only way to add mass is to eat more than you burn. your metabolism is set to keep you at a constant weight. it will speed up or slow down depending on your food intake to maintain a certain weight, muscle mass, fat amount, ect. the body likes things nice and stable.
you have to overthrow that stable environment. I am not sure of the actual formula, but you have to figure out how many calories you eat on an average day and then increase that by some amount. again, I don't know how many calories support a pound of muscle, or anything like that. i am hoping some generous anon will supply the details, but in the event that one does, just look for lean protein sources to add to your diet and pack in some healthy snacks in between your three regular meals.
