What makes your thighs and calfs bigger, running or SQUATZ?

Endurance weightlifting (same as bodybuilding, roughly) makes all your muscles bigger.
Strength training doesnt (much).

For me personally Squats has seemed to have more of an effect than running has.

Also I run at a higher pace than I used to be able to since adding 5x5 squats into my routine and my legs don't get tired like they used to.
