people who say squatting is dangerous are the following:

The squat is the #1 best exercise. it strengthens your back, your traps, your abs, your quads, your glutes, your hamstrings. more than half your body is worked. squats cause your body to release GH because of the nature of the loading on the spine squats can aleiviate knee and back problems when done properly squat make you run faster, jump higher, they make you more virile, more confident, more energetic. they help pack on muscle, or burn fat due to the compound nature of them.
there is NO substitute for a back or front squat. leg press is NOT the same motion, hack squat is NOT the same motion.
i have NEVER hurt myself squatting, because i squat right and i keep the weights in a range i can handle and hit proper depth.
the reason YOU get hurt squatting is because you have no communication with your body, your just fucking flair around with a barbell and dont have any sort of mind muscle connection. you fucking fail at lifting weights, get the fuck out of my gym and sit in your office cubicle wasting away until you are just a feeble brain with sticks for limbs who whines about how hard squats are
