Food, what to eat and when.

/fit/ n00b here, lost about 5 pounds in the last 2 months with some light jogging (1 hour) every other day and random basketball. I feel that my diet is really holding me back.

Thinking of doing 6 meals a day with something like a 40/40/20 split (carbs/protein/fat), currently reading tom venutos burn the fat feed the muscle to figure this out better.

However I was looking for maybe some example meal plans? not a lot I can cook so wanna keep it simple and cheap as possible.

as far as jogging I was thinking of "upgrading" to 25min of HIIT (daily) in the mornings something like:

5 min warmup
1min run/1min slow x7
5 min cooldown

Then my meals is all I have to figure out.

cut back on dairy and meat to once a week or less if you can. increase your intake of fruits and vegetables, particularly vegetables. raw or steamed. carbs are fine the day before a run so your body will have fuel to burn, but other than that they should be limited.
