Sorry, had to catch that redundancy.

I was linked here by a friend (who actually is obsessed with fitness), and I plan on being a regular visitor here. I do not fit any of those descriptions. It's the crazy "squatz" people that post in every thread, or multiple times in every thread. Some people are helpful here, others are in it for teh lulz. I'm kinda in it for both.

i kind of take advice on this board with a pinch of salt. i myself don't do weight training and don't want to be "huge" - just healthier, and looking better is a plus.

my exercise consists of calisthenics in the morning after i wake up. it makes me feel good, face the day positively, and i guess look better. i eat healthily because i want to be healthy but also because eating chocolate/ice cream/crisps etc is less enjoyable for me now. i don't see it as a means to an end, its just the way i eat. i mainly drink water and semi skimmed milk and fruit juices, i don't like tea and stuff. although i also drink quite a lot of alcohol, which i know is bad for me, but damnit, it's fun.

i don't calorie count, i just try not to overeat and keep carb/fat consumption down and eat protein when i can.

so basically: probably not the average /fit/ visitor, but i do come here quite often. i'm more geared towards being healthy in the long term and having a maintainable lifestyle.

I should take some progress pics. My arms are noticeably bigger when I flex and I think my abs show a bit more. I can't take pictures of my legs very easily, but those have gotten a bit more muscular.

I drink black or green tea, water, and black coffee, and rice milk only... period...well OK, there's an occasional glass of wine too.

I eat like a horse, at least two chicken breasts and one egg a day, plus protein shakes after workouts and the morning after workouts. I take in no HFCS or artificial sweeteners ever. That's the extent of my bulking diet...all I really care about is 1gram of protein per pound per day.

I dont care for getting huge, and I really dont care for gaining alot of strength beyond what I need to grow from scrawny and weak to lean and athletic.

As for other people, I respect their goals, and I dont hate on them, unless they are trying to get by without exercising to lose fat.

Form... prevents injuries, ensure maximum benefits from your work. I recently relieved my shoulder pains based on good advice on benching form that I got... here!

I dont do any HIIT, though I am not trying to cut fat yet. At the most I'd do it twice a week for 15 minutes, but I probably can just change my diet and lifting routine...I'm lucky like that. Three times a week is the max a person should be doing it in my opinion, and never more than 20 minutes.

I lift 3 days a week, only because I'm told I have to allow myself to rest, or else I'd do it more.

0-4 times a week, fitness isn't my #1 focus right now, but I still make sure to lift every so often, and I take my bike to work (5 miles one way, 10 total trip, take the long way sometimes for a 14 mile day) 2-5 times a week regardless.

As for progress pics, I've pretty much always been in good shape (not GREAT shape , but why bother?) but here's a current photo for the lulz (pardon the farmer's tan).

Not as defined as I could be, but the reason I'm deciding to cut about 15 lbs right now is I did a bulk phase a while back, but never bothered cutting, and I kept eating like a beast, and my gym membership expired. So now I'm doing olympic lifts in my apartment + city hikes + biking.
