As a hardgainer who just recently figured out how to gain, EAT.
Eat healthy, but don't worry too much about it.

I couldn't gain for the life of me then I met a friend of a friedn who also had teh same problem, he's pro lifter now.
He said eat a meal, and when your done and stuffed, eat another one. that's one meal combined.

I did exaclty that and FINALLY started putting on weight!

This was...3-4 weeks ago, I have gained as much in the last month as i have since i started working out a year ago up to a month ago.

corse, you need to be beating the shit outta yourself at teh gym. I go 5 days a week, you could probably still gain with 3 days thoguh

Eat from all over the food pyramid. Eat protein and iron. Build up muscles by doing exercises. Once you stop growing around 19 you should start gaining weight easily.

Hey OP, I'm in your same position (6'1" 138), advice I'm getting is to work strength, eat a shitton, take a multivitamin, and grab some whey protein (try to get some that has carbs and calories, can be kinda hard to find). Putting on some fat is not a bad thing, since you'll be gaining lots of muscle. Get bigger first, then worry about how you look. Health before pretty!
