Ok, I have a few questions:

I'm looking to buy new shoes. I've been using old sneakers and Nike 7.0 free trainer.
I'm curious, is there anything wrong with wearing running shoes daily? Aside from the fashion statement.

I heard asics make good running shoes, any sneakers made by them are fine? What other companies have good shoes?
I want my feet to feel great and comfortable while walking and/or running.

I wear Magnum 8" athletic boots with gel insoles.
I originally got them for work, but now I wear them for everything.

Gel insoles? I thought most shoes, trainers and sneakers at least, had good soles that provide shock absorption and the like?
My feet feel really bad at times when I've walked with my old sneakers, think it might go back to army days where we would walk too far.
The natural fat the feet have, can it become too thin to be good enough?
Maybe I should go to the doctor with these questions, heh.

The boots I was wearing had fucking amazing shock absorption, but I primarily run on concrete so I was boosting the shock absorption which reduces the force on the shins and knees.

It depends what you are running on.
If you are running on sand or soft grass, barefoot is fine. Anything else and you are running the risk of injury.

Not to mention if you go barefoot you'll get heaps of blisters.
