Okay, I have never been a fan of jogging yet I use to enjoy riding a bike. In a few weeks when the weather stop's getting down under 40 I'm planning on going and buying a bike to work cardio.So my question to you is is it a good workout? I'm just wondering if I can get a good workout while still enjoying what I'm doing.Pic related - I plan on getting either a bmx bike or a mountain bike and never take it out of the higher gears.
If it's all uphill, yes.If you're in flat country, pedal damn fast. Try "HIIT" style pedalling
Oh, and watch out for cars and shit. Guess that's why I lub my stationary exercise bike. :p
OP hereI live in a fairly small town so traffic isn't the biggest concern. And the main reason I enjoy getting out on a bike more than jogging is because it's a change of scenery.
Get a race bike and you'll get legs like a hydaulic press.

Oh man yeah. I just bought a BMX with a friend and we've been tearing up the streets. It's a great time.
