Hi /fit/

I know my logic is way off on this: I don't really bother doing crunches or working on my abs at all. I figure that until I lose the gut it won't really do much. I still work out the rest of my body as expected.

My question to you is: Are there some other benefits I don't see about working my abs for the hell of it regardless of the tangible(visible) benefits? And if they are worth to do anyways would it be enough to work on them every other night before going to bed? Thanks in advance for any help.

I basically do that too. But I throw in some ab exercises just for the fuck of it.

Coke is pig disgusting.

it's called your core for a reason. Do mountain climbers and work in some kind of medicine ball routine, everything you do physically will improve over 9000 fold if you've got a solid (even if not yet visible) core tying it together
