OP: Eating 6-8 a day wont kill you. You can still lose weight just fine. Just keep in mind the calories you take in from those, not to mention the fat, and adjust the rest of your diet accordingly.
I never cared for those, honestly. I seem to lack any sweet tooth, except for Reese's products.
