Girly machines? Anonymous
Hey /fit/, my university has a lot of really good elliptical trainers and stationary bicycles. I've used them a couple of times and they're great for cardio that doesn't fuck with your joints like high-impact jogging does. The only problem is I heard that it's only socially acceptable for women to use the elliptical machines and probably the bikes too. WTF? Is it true that using these makes me look like a /fa/g? :-/

Girl here.

I've always assumed that all men at the gym are an equal level of gayness, so go ahead and use whatever machine you want.

i dont go to the gym..... does that make me less happy?

I've never thought of the elliptical machines as girly. The bikes are certainly not girly. To prove what a macho man you are, do High Intensity Interval Training, where you do "sprints" for short periods of time

Use whatever machine you want. Just don't be one of those fatasses who stand on the elliptical physically leaning their entire upper body against the handrails.

30 mins of shame on a queer machine is well worth looking like a ripped bad-ass the rest of the time.

swallow your pride and do it.

Order of cardio manliness:

Rowing machine (fuck yeah!)
Treadmill
Stationary bikes (especially if you sit forward and aggresive)
Elliptical
Stairmaster

I don't think my ymca has a lot of rowing machines, but if it does I'll be sure to waste some time on it.

who fuckin cares!?!! you're at the gym, feel good about yourself man! you're already way ahead of millions of fatties.

fuck that. I use the elliptical. The fuckers on the treadmill wont be laughing when their joints are fucked up and u are still running.

WTF do you care what other shitheads think anyways. Do what makes you feel good...like Stranger Handjobs

everyone will think you're a pathetic fatty.

Then again, they all think that now.

Nothing is really going to change for a few years, until you've shed a HUGE amount of weight. Then someone might care.

But you're still the queer who exercised at Curves.
