Soreness = ??? Anonymous
Is soreness a good indicator of whether or not you've worked out certain muscle groups effectively the day prior?

It seems like I can go either way with this; it definitely feels like you're doing something right when all the groups you've aimed to hit hurt somewhat, but for certain exercises where you know you've done correct form/weight/reps but don't feel a thing, it's a little mystifying.

From what I understand, DOMS is kind of random. I know that if I take a break from working out, my first few times back in the gym will leave me a little sore, especially after squats. When you're into it though, the soreness usually gives way to fatigue instead.

Soreness just means you're a newbie.

Its a myth sorta. Its natural when your doing a new routine to "shock" your muscles that you feel the soreness. But IMHO soreness =/= good. Your body will still go through the process of growing despite the lack of pain. I take the "no pain no gain" ideal half heartedly.
