Snow corn snake Anonymous
Ok I hate naming threads...
but I just got a little pink and white snow corn snake. I own a miami phase corn snake named Rolande, but what would be a good name for the new corn involving snow, frost, cold, etc.?

Though it isn't him in the pic, it's the identical coloration.

Jerry.

I have a weird habit of naming my pets with human names. My little corn is named Wilhelmina. :3

Do you keep your corn snakes together in the same terrarium?

I also like Valentine. Fits the pink and white markings.

No, actually. Rolande is about 3 months older than this new one, and I'm afraid of cannabalism. Do think it would be safe?

To be honest, I'm not a very experienced corn snake owner. I know in the pet stores they keep snakes that are roughly the same size together in terrariums, but I've read that it's unadvisable. Corn snakes are naturally solitary, and only gather for mating purposes. But I've read online about keeping the snakes together without problems.

About how many inches are your corns?

Rolande is now about 14 inches, while the new one is around 7 inches. I'm a bit ashamed because the pink one was an impulse buy because it was just so fucking cute. Miami-phase is pretty and all but this particular snow was just awesome.

Yeah, I wouldn't put those two together given the size difference.

As an owner of an amelanistic corn, I'm quite jealous of your Miami Phase. Are his markings more red or more orange? And if your new snake looks anything like the picture, she's a real cutie, all right. That snow/pink combo must be awesome. I've never seen one in person.

Have you ever seen any of the blood red vartieties in person? My next purchase is probably going to be bloodred...

She's cute, white, and pink.... Makes me think of Kirby.

I love the amelanistics, and bloodreds are beautiful too. At the store, I had to make a choice between the little snow and a bloodred and I was standing in decision for like 10 minutes. Definitely go for it.
Also, my miami phase is more of a dark red or burnt orange color, but on a lighter grey. I love the contrast.

I'm actually a bit worried that "Rolande" is a girl...if so what the fuck should I rename it, if the first vet visit determines him to be female?

Yolanda.

And for the pink/white, Branston. The only thing the word "cold" reminds me of is England.
