/an/.
my cat has had trouble with urinary tract problems for about 6 years.
he has been on eminel (i forget how its spelled) since his problems peeing started.
but about two weeks ago he could not pee and when i took him to the vet his bladder was terribly swollen and he was blocked up with crystals.
so he stayed at the vet for a week till the crystals stopped coming and then he came home.
since he has been home he has been going down hill.
i dont know why...i have pretty much accepted the fact that he will soon pass away but i just want to know if anyone else has had this happen....

I don't have any experience with UT troubles. My first cat died pretty quickly; she had a stroke one night, was gone by the time we got her to the vet's. (Pic related... it's her)

I'm sorry you (and your cat) are going through this. I know it's tough and it hurts, but when his time comes, I want you to remember this: you gave him a good life, and took care of him when he needed you most. He knew he was loved, and that's all that really matters, in the end-- love.

It's most likely some form of digestive track cancer, one of my cats had several UT infections in rapid succession and went downhill REALLY fast afterward, to the point that we had him put down because he could barely get up. The vet later told us he very likely had cancer in his stomach/intestines.
