Has /an/ had experiance with the Booda dome? i have a large Ragdoll cat...he spreads litter everywhere because i can't seem to find a larger litterbox (locally, anyway) so i'm thinking of ordering said dome.

we have a lid on our cat box too, not only do my cats like to kick litter out but they have taken a fancy to scratching on the wall after they do their buisness.(the wall is torn up now)

the lid helps alot, i dont know about that booda dome. sure it looks cool, but it looks like it would be really heavy once full of litter and what not. i imagine dumping out the old litter would be a pain. it says it comes with liners, but refilling them could be a pain.

Yeah, i don't mind that, it's more the size i'm worried about, he needs a bigger one because the poor cat has to scrunch up a bit when he takes a dump...this line seems to be a common buy for Ragdoll owners because of their size.
He has a hooded one, but we don't use the lid as it makes it even more cramped for him, he just protests by pooping on the carpet...

I have a friend with a HUGE maine coon, and this box has solved their problems with him. He was much too large to fit in a normal box as well.

yeah i've heard this one reccomended for them and Rags are around the same size. Maine Coons are HUEG liek xbox. He hasn't even reached his full size yet (currently 2yrs old and about 12inches tall, 35in long from nose to tail) so i want to get one that will last that, too.

I had this problem, I tried various litter trays, one with an inward facing lip, all sorts, eventually settled on using a small plastic crate like this one. The high sides alone seem to keep all the litter inside, just a very few crumbs escape.

The Clean Step is a very good catbox. The top comes off so it's easy to clean. I definitely recommend it.

You can get the Clean Step at PetSmarts, maybe Petcos.

There is a litter box like this sold at PetSmart. It's called the CleverCat. In my store I think it's actually being discontinued but this may or may not apply to a store in your area. If that's the case, look for it here.

Discontinued at my store too. If you can manage to find one, it should be on super sale.

My mom made the suggestion for us of buying a storage container that is large but short. That way the cat can get in and out easily, but they have room to scratch around in it. Seems to work better than any litter boxes we've tried.

It's not discontinued where I live in central California. Good luck, OP.

OP here. Found a place quite close to me that stocks the Booda Dome, after quite a hunt. Couldn't find the other one.

I actually live in Canuckistan, btw.
