hi /an/. I just came back home from a party and settled in when my newest female guinea pig, belle, came out, lifted her head and starting chirping, just like a bird. Anyone have any idea at all what this means?

hungry, happy, any range of emotions; as long as she wasn't screaming it's usually hungry

Ooh, she's a cute one.

I used to have two guinea pigs...

That sound can mean a lot of things. She might be hungry, just happy you're home, or she might want attention.

I couldn't find any explainations, either. After she did it got a while, I took her out and petted her for a bit and she was reallyyyyy happy. I've just never heard either of my piggies, belle included, do that before. She has a different sound for loneliness or hunger, so I was clueless.

was stocking up on frozen mice so my friend can take care of my snake and not have to buy food for a while, and noticed they had some pigs. watched them do their thing for a bit and grabbed some pamphlet that was free.

didn't realize they couldn't store vitamin c. would they eat mild peppers like green bell peppers? they have a lot more vitamin c than most vegetables as far as i know.
