Aqurium water Anonymous
Anyone knows any DIY methods of manipulating aquarium water? Such as making it softer/harder, messing with pH and stuff like that.
All I know is that baking soda adds to alkalinity, anyone know any ways to make the water softer in particular?

Try a good pet store that specializes in fish.
They'll have handy liquid solutions for pH adjustment (sodium bicarb to raise it and phosphoric acid to lower it)

... QFT. I don't mind people trolling about "what are the least painful methods of being an hero" but seriously, don't try to kill off the poor fish.

OP here, its kind of obvious that bleach will kill....anything, only a complete fucktard would put bleach in the water.

As anon said, try peat for your filter.
Can be bought in every fish petshop.
