Always seen these things around the house and yard, never really knew for sure what they are. Live in western Wisconsin. Sorry it's a bit blurry, my camera has trouble focusing inside glass jars.

Appears to be some sort of spider.

Upon further inspection, I finally arrived at the same conclusion. It is indeed a spider. Now what kind and is it dangerous? Much better picture included.

Maybe this?

So many of these spiders are hard to tell apart. I could kill it and look at it's eyes under a magnifying glass, then I'd know in the future if they are dangerous, but that kinda defeats my whole no kill spiders policy (they DO get rid of all the other pests around here).

Western Wisconsin? lol from the eastern side.
>> Blah...
from what I can tell it looks to me like probably a common grass spider, which are everywhere where I live which is in western Minnesota...

off the top of my head i would guess some species of Dolomedes..though it's hard to say for sure.

possibly a wolf spider. Are they dangerous? Kinda, quite aggressive. But it's a shabby pic, so who knows
>>
I can't remember what they are called, but we have had alot of them as well.

I had someone look up what it was once, can be agressive, but not dangerous.. bites are uncommon and even though it is poisonous it is very little, might cause a welt.

I'm pretty sure that's a wolf spider. We have them here in NC. Just put it outside.
