As long as the two cats get along, it's fine to have one clawed and one declawed. I also adopted a cat already declawed, and then later adopted one who has claws. If they fight seriously, the declawed one will be at a real disadvantage, but this usually isn't a problem if you use your head when picking out a cat. Just for the sake of your declawed cat, if you're really worried, adopt a cat who is of the same gender and younger than your current one. That way it's automatically lower of the pecking order and is unlikely to start shit.
