The cat will be fine. Like anon said, make sure it has lots of water. It would be good if you had air conditioning.
My long haired cat is very uncomfortable when the weather is hot. It was 101 degrees F here there other day and she just flopped on the floor and spread out as much as possible. Once the air conditioner was turned on, she camped out in front of it and seemed happy. All my other cats are terrified of the noisy air conditioner.
