I've got a problem on my hands. I have a young Siamese cat who was fixed about three weeks ago. Since I got her back, she's been peeing in corners, under beds, in closets, and in large potted plants. I've caught her doing it, so I know it isn't my other cat.

Can /an/ tell me how I could possibly go about stopping it? I'm getting very tired of having to clean up after her.

get a spray and spray the furniture so she won't want to. plus, make sure she knows about her litter box and that it isn't really messy

Try covering the smell with a strong perfume in the places where your cat has peed.
Other than that i don't know how to stop that.

Another option is to feed her where she's in a habit of peeing. But I know this is a big problem and my girl pees in baskets of clean clothing :(

Check if she has an urinary infection.

She knows where her litter box is. Before she was fixed, I had absolutely no problems from her. I'm wondering if maybe the surgery has something to do with this.

Has anyone else had problems with a cat after having it fixed?

i have a doggy door, and the cats know how to use it, they still think it's nessasary to piss and shit in my house, they also drag in birds, squirrels, moles.
i make it so they can't come in for weeks at a time (they have a safe shelter and water and food in my garage) then i start to feel sorry for them, and let them back in the house, and very shortly after that i start smelling cat piss, and finding shit in various places around the house.

i think i'm just going to shoot that fucking cat in the back of the head, the price of the bullet will be worth never having to smell catpiss in my house again.

i've heard of cats gettin UTI's after spay/neutering. call up your vet and go get her checked
good luck OP!

She could have a crystal buildup inside her urethra, and also a possible UTI. Have your vet check for both..as they could be very painful for her.

Get a spray bottle, and put water in it. Or even vinegar.

If you catch her peeing again, spray her with it.

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. Need to get that treated by a vet. If not then make sure the litter is clean everyday or try a different brand of litter, cats can be very picky and won't use their litter box if they don't like the litter.
