Ok /an/, I bought some guppies and ghost shrimp for my Triop's 10 gallon tank and put them all in there. It's got a big filter, air bubbles, all the stuff.

I also bought 5 ghost shrimp and 7 Guppys (and had 1 from earlier) hoping my triop would eat them, as that's what most fo the websites say.

Over the last week, those 5 god damn Ghost Shrimp continue to sulk around my tank and somehow 5 of the Guppies have died. And if my guy cannot catch god damn shrimp, I doubt he killed those guppys (I saw one of the dead ones floating at the top one day, I went out for the night and it was gone).

So my question is what might be killing my guppies, and how can I get my omnivore to act like a carnivore?

guppies kinda have a tendency to die if you look at them funny. they are not durable fish. It was probably a pH thing or maybe the food had some funky preservative in it or some other variable that's out of your control.

Aww dang. One of them just had about 7 kids too.

But what about the Triop eating the Ghsot Shrimp? Or rather, lack of it?
