Any ideas? Anonymous
I'm visiting my parents for a few days and I've noticed my two cats (who they're taking care of because I can't take them with me to where I currently live) and I noticed that one has been wheezing a bit.
According to my mom both my cats have been wheezing for a while now.
If it had just been my older cat (she only wheezes when i'm scratching her chin or when she's scratching herself) I'd've just attributed it to her age, but the younger one is less than 3 years old and is still very active.

So I don't know what to think. The only thing new in the household in the last year is my mom's started using Pledge for the furniture.

The vet's on vacation (there's only one in the city...)and my parents don't really have enouhg time to take them themselves or they would (...that and the cat carrier currently has a hen brooding in it).

So /an/ any ideas why my precious babies are wheezing?

All I know is you need to cook those cats before they get too sick and their meat turns bad.

My cat has a bit of a wheeze and sneeze right now too. It could be dust, it could be a cold. It COULD be something more drastic but that's doubtful.
>> heart worms anonymous
a lot of the time the wheeze or cough can be heart worms....: / or distemper...you definately want to get that checked out ...heart worms are very hard to get rid of and will most definately kill the cat

Thanks.I'll be taking them inFriday to be checked out.Turns out they've been wheezing for about 3 months and one of them has somehwat lost her appetite...not sure if she's going thru a fussy stage or if it's somehow related....the older one has always had a small appetite.Hrm.
