I live in Alaska, so there are always Moose walking up my to my front porch at night and eating the branches out of the tree in front of my window. I never get sleep and I hate them. But I dont hate them so much as to wish for them to be shot. In the head.

Today at school, two Moose were walking up the front steps up to the door. Now out school it huge and has a series of long steps to the door. The fish and game people came and started shooing them off, but they only charged at them. That got the F&G mad, so they pulled out the guns. They started shooting air at it at first. But this one baby kept charging. Eventually about 4 minutes later, they shot it 7 times with rubber pellets. 5 times in the ass an twice in the head.

The poor baby moose hit the floor. When I finaly went to class, I watched as they dragged the baby by its legs all the way down every step. Leaving this huge trail of blood behind it. It was disgusting and gross, and sad at the same time.

So I guess what Im asking is it alright for them to kill it? And drag it away in such a manner and not clean up the mess?

If you hate the fact that it eats the branches, maybe you should try covering hte branches in something moose will hate.

The way it was killed caused unnecessary pain. Should've shot it in the head with real bullets.

Yeah, sorry internet badasses, I'm against methods of killing that cause more pain than there has to be when less painful methods are available. It's just human compassion.

it's pretty clear they didn't use the rubber bullet method with the intent to kill it, but drive it off. That didn't work and it was probably just an unlucky shot that took it down.
