The cobras aren't de-fanged, dork. That's the house cobra. Cobras tend to be territorial, so if you have one living in your wood pile that's familiar and comfortable with your scent, it will defend its/your territory from wild cobras that will kill your baby.. The cobra in that video is being introduced to the new baby. Most snakes don't like to be messed with, and a way they show that is by striking with a closed mouth - like the cobra does to the baby. If the cobra was biting the baby, he'd be biting down and gnashing his teeth into the kid's skin to get the venom to squeeze out.
