Going to take her to a vet soon as I can and going to search mroe on this tomorrow after work.

But my cat has been having wheezing cough spells almost everyday since last year, anyone here have this problem? what are all the causes and any home treatments?

We live in a humid rainy area, its allergy season, lived here three years so it cannot be allergy since its been since last fall.

She did have a bad flea case last summer, its common for fleas around here, she was treated well and is clean now. Wheezing coughs seemed to start from there.

We vacuum the house every other day to every day since taking care of a friends dog who sheds like crazy- but is never allowed in my room near her.

I certainly will be taking her in and searching more, just want to know if others have dealt with wheezing coughs/ can google fast for me everything that could cause it

Thanks

Could be staph, could be a fungus, could be a cold. If taking a children's tylenol and seeing if it's alright in the morning didn't work then the vet is probably your best bet.

And you're just now going to see a vet? WTF?

I'm well aware of that, and expected that response, her wheezing hasn't affected her otherwise, she's quite healthy and lively, normal cat, normal weight, she just has an occasional wheezing spell for about 1-2minutes.

Seriously, if you'd had minute long wheezing spells periodically, would you wait MONTHS before going to see a doctor? That cat could have asthma or even pneumonia by now.
