>>209003 Have you personally owned a border collie, or are you just pulling words of your ass based on what other people have said? Has it occurred to you they all have different temperaments and athletic ability/drive?
I have a PET border collie. I am active but not obscenely so. He is active but not obscenely so either. When I was looking at border collie rescues, I noticed only some of them are labeled as "sports potential" dogs. There are more athletes among border collies than other breeds, but to tell people not to get such a potentially rewarding dog because of that is bullshit. They require much more work than other breeds, but there ARE many individuals among the breed that make very, very good pets.
