so apparently the breeder of this cat thinks it's adorable to make it so painful for animals to sit naturally that she's going to purposely deform them.

stupid cunt doesn't understand why people accuse her of animal cruelty.

Wait wait, what?! I have not heard of this.

i know, right? it's so fucking "adorable".

the cats are forced to either drag their deformed front limbs, or sit upright to avoid discomfort. the idiot who purposely breeds them doesn't understand that the cats are doing it to alleviate the pain of having your bare fucking joints dragging on the hard ground.

she runs "karma farms". google it, the lengths she goes to to rationalize it will make you want to throttle her.

I hate it when people do things like this. Another example are "munchkin cats" where people actually TRY to spread the dwarfism gene so people can have cats that look like kittens. They're adorable looking but it's really horrible to think that people are breeding in a genetic defect just so they can go "aww".

Is that really a big deal? Aside from stature, are there any other effects?

"All the Twisty Kats sit up quite naturally. It's so easy for them because their hind legs are very powerful and hind feet have 6 toes and double pads. These cats are much more "different" than one might realize at first glance. Both front feet and hind feet are uniquely adapted..."

"Whether or not we ever choose to breed our unneutered Twisties will be our choice. We are enjoying them as our personal pets while we study these cats' adaptations and on-going health..."

This is a pretty interesting definition of adaptation, no?

blergh, that's terrible! that woman (... or man?!) needs to get her arms broken and rearranged in an awwwwwwwwww adorable fashion.

seriously, don't you have proper animal protection laws in america? breeding such cats is forbidden in germany ("Qualzucht" ~ "suffering breed").

That is fucking insane

Maybe rednecks are more tolerant of inbreeding.

Poor things. :( I love watching cats stand on their hind legs; it really is adorable. But breeding them so it's painful to sit on all fours for your own "awww"ing pleasure is sick and twisted.

I love how all these little kitten lovers thought the bosaikitten hoax was so terrible, but will still "awww" over these poor things.

I read about this sick bitch oh so many years ago - could it have been 10 years now?
What disturbs me is not so much the damaged person breeding them, but the fucked-up people buying them. I read back then some testimonials that went like this: "They are so beautiful, etc..." The stupidity of those people repulsed me into repressing the subject from my memory.
Why does that woman not have terrible genital cancer yet?
>> Anonymous
wait.. what nastiness does this person breed into these cats, anyway?
>> Anonymous
at the end of the day none of these cats would be alive if she didnt breed them

in a human analogy, if you were to ask a disabled person if he wants to die he/she will most likely say no unless they are in ungodly pain crippled unable to move

so i dont really think that its right to decide that a cat shouldnt be because you believe it to not be worthy enough to live

For some reason America is way behind on animal rights why do you think we still do declawing? There's a saying that goes something like you can tell how barbaric a country is by the way they take care of their animals...

Every now and then I see a human being that should be put to death for the good of everyone. This is one of those times.

Didn't seem to be in pain, but I didn't watch the entire movie. Looks to me like a mountain is being made of a mole hill.
