/an/on do you think this thing works?
I'm thinking in buying it because is very hard for me to cut the nails of my cat, not because i don't know how, but because she doesn't likes it at all.
I understand, her pain, but If i don't cut them, she will get stuck in almost every place where she puts her little paws and start crying.
Maybe buying plastic caps will be better? or maybe this thing really works.... anyone has tried it?

Just try sneaking up on her while she's sleeping and do it very softly. My cats hate getting their nails clipped when they're up and aware of it, but could care less when they're sleeping and don't know what's going on.

hmmm I've never tried that, maybe I should, but if she wakes up and catch me in the act, I'm pretty sure shes going to kill me. lol

Why are you clipping your cats nails in the first place.

because cats nails need to be trimmed too.

im a groomer and we use drummals all the time, the only thing ive noticed is that the noise scares the ever loving SHIT out of cats, if your kitty's all ready scared of the clipper this will not fare any better
>>339294its just as important to do a cats nails as it is a dogs...

Besides, because I want too, she gets stuck almost in every place.
Especially in the doors frames (or whatever they are called pic related), or in the windows, or in the carpet....etc etc

I was watching a video in youtube of pedipaws and it sure makes a lot of noise, i don't think my cat is going to approve.

I wouldn't buy one of those things simply because I keep getting spam email advertising it. That makes it about as reputable as penis enlargement pills.

My house is practically a dog kennel. We use nail grinders all the time but never for dogs with small nails like cats have. I would recommend you avoid this gimmick. A dremel tool works much better if you insist on grinding.

I don't know about cats, but for dogs that don't like to have their nails cut there are several things you can do. First is get your animal use to the feeling of having it feet touched. Second you should have someone else to hold the animal, and try to distract it somehow. Rub it's ears, sometimes you can distract it with a treat. If the animal likes grooming itself, then you can try smearing something on it's fur that they can lick off.

OP, have one.
For some reason can't get my cat's claws to work right with the pedipaws. Maybe just the length and curvature.

May work better for longer claws and straighter curve.
Probably best for dog claws.

1. Put cat in Garbage Can the day before pickup day
2. Watch the surprise of the garbage men as they toss a cat amongst garbage into an active pulverizer
3. ???
4. PROFIT

ok. as in life, you don't need to buy fancy gizmos. go simple. get a sharp, good nail clipper. this is all you need. make sure it is sharp so you just do one cut per nail and be done with it. using a dull one will produce splinters in the nail, which will cling to carpet and possibly tear out parts of your cats claws and she will not be happy.

wear some hand/arm protection so it doesn't scratch the shit out of you. all animals hate getting their nails done (i did my birds for awhile) but if you have someone to hold it, talk to it, and massage its head or something, it will go quicker.

my bf got one and i could stop the thing with my THUMB NAIL. I just use my dremel and wrap the cat in a towel while i use it on her.
