I want to introduce you to "Malkah" a 2 year old Golden, My Vet gave her to me, after rescuing her from some seriously abusive owners.
she was about 10 Kg underweight, full of injuries and bruises.
I named her Malkah which in Hebrew mean "Queen", because that's what she is in my house.
I'm so happy. I was needing a another dog so bad, after my 12 year old cocker died of liver cancer 2 month ago.

Beautiful dog. Golden retrievers are my 2nd favorite dog after dachshunds.

Sorry, but I've got to ask -- is she normal, you know, up in the head? Generally dogs rescued from abusive places tend to have some... weird behaviours.

My cousin, for instance, has a large black dog she brought back from Estonia. Its appearance is bloody gorgeous for a dog. It's also got a significant attitude and/or self esteem problem, in that it'll snap at any dog, I mean _any_ dog, regardless of how small and non-threatening the other is.

Just wondering. Might not apply at all go goldens, IIRC they're of a rather loving demeanor in the first place.

Oh god she's so adorable. I'm so glad she's now living in a loving family.
