A SAD CATURDAY Anonymous
So, today I found my 9 year old cat dead with lots of foamy saliva in his mouth on the floor next to his bed, with his head stuck between his bed and a wall. He lives in the floor below mine, and I came late last night(I still checked his room before going to sleep at 11PM, but since he didn`t answer my call I just assumed he was with my mom), so I don`t know exactly what happened to him. My guess is he rolled around his bed, fell and broke his neck when he tried to do the "cat manouver" to land on his feet.
Just finished burying him and taking a shower, and I am still somwhat depressed. So, please help me find out what happened to him.
And post some black cats, in his honor.
Pic somewhat related since it shows the cat a few months back.
>> Anonymous
sounds like he ate rat poison or something actually.
>> Anonymous
He doesn`t have easy access to rat poison either, and my dog would be more likely to eat the poison in case someone had tried poisoning him. He was not a great hunter either.
>> Anonymous
Looks like somebody poisoned him.

I poisoned my GF's cat and it's exactly how you described it.

I still wouldn't rule it out. It's apparent he either ate something toxic and had a seizure, or just had a spontaneous seizure and died.

In before Occam's Razor.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat.

I'm posting a cute black kitten in his honor.
>> Anonymous
What kind of poisons could give him a seizure?
He looked healthy before this.

I lost my kitty Kitty of 15 years a few days before her Oct. 31st birthday. I know all about that kinda unexpected sadness.

That's how I lost one of my newborn kittens. Momma went into labor during the night and one had gotten trapped between the wall and the matress; still in its sac so it suffocated. =/

Wtf is wrong with you?

Just a future sociopath. Pay no mind to him.

OP, blatantly ask your mother why she killed him as serious as you can muster. See what happens.
>> Anonymous
My mother loved the cat too. I would actually say she took his death worse than me. I really can't think of anyone who would actually want to kill him.

I buried his blanket with him, and I had to move a lot of stuff when I took his body from the floor.

Also, thank you all for the support. And a question, could something like this be caused by a spider bit or something?

awww that's so sad:( My cat got hit by a car a few months back, it was awful. I buried it with a post it that said i love you son. I dunno, maybe it just died of old age. the foamy saliva is questionable though. I'm sorry for your loss:(
am I the only female 4-chanian?

I don't think so.. cats are usually immune to toxins.. or is that dogs? I forget.

>>94427

ask a vet if an autopsy post mortem give or take a day or so can be done. seriously, you deserve to know even if you must exhume its corpse.

I'm sorry for your loss... a good pet, especially a cat, is rare.

My black cat Shadow. She may be going soon also because of cancer

Something similar happened to my uncle's cat a few years ago. It drank anti-freeze. I would make sure that there aren't any chemicals it could have gotten into.
>> Anonymous
My cat midnight died from drinking antifreeze as well. Very sad, violent death. But not exactly instant.

Sorry to hear about your cats death.
>> Anonymous
Chocolate maybe?
>> Anonymous
I'd say it was antifreeze. It is supposed to smell and taste sweet to cats and dogs and its death isnt instant. Was your cat an outside cat? Because if it was someone may leave antifreeze out for animals to drink. Its mostly old people who do that
>> Anonymous

...what bastards. Actually, that's animal cruelty. Any evidence that can convict them should sap up their nest eggs/retirement funds or ideally land them in the slammer for the rest of their miserable lives.

I hate old people now. Thanks anonymous...

Antifreeze posioning causes kidney failure. It's a slow way to die, but it should be obvious to any vet.
>> Anonymous
Antifreeze tastes sweet to people, too.

...how do you know this?
