Okay, last weekend I took my dog to get her shots. Rabies, parvo, the like. She's ten years old and hadn't had them for about three years. Yesterday I came home, and there was shit all over my kitchen and dining room, it started out just runny and then got more solid as it progressed. I spent a few hours cleaning it up, and checked her out. She seemed fine, her nose was wet and cold, and she had no problem eating. She was acting normal. I came home from work again today so pretty much the same sight. Except this time, she vomitted in the hallway and her feces were more solid. I went to let her out and she was jumping at the door, and ran right into the rain to go to the bathroom. My dog hates water, and will NEVER willingly be out in the rain. She walked around trying to shit for a few minutes. She is again acting normal. Could it just be that she's getting old and her bowels won't hold? I highly doubt that. She's horribly afraid of the vet, and the most soon I'd be able to get her there is on Saturday. Any advice in the mean time?
Poor doggie! Well shots sometimes make them a bit sick, but stress will do that to her too. Maybe you should call the vet if tomorrow is the same. Her insides may just calm down on their own.
Anyone else have any ideas? She's acting stranger now, just sort of staring at me blankly.
I am surprised your vet gave all the shots at once, yea, shes prob just sick. Its like when humans get flu shots, the immunity is due to some exposure to sickness. So theres always a chance of getting sick.Just keep a eye on her and make sure she has enough water to drink. Is she whimpering or anything? My puppy was pretty sore for a day or 2 after all her shots

Bathroom Pirate states that if your dog is soon to die, give it the time of it's life because it would do the same for you.
call your vet, just to make sure.Anony is right, immunity is due to exposure to sickness- that's probably all it is.Still, call your vet and make them aware. Also, plenty of water for your dog.
