my bonzai died Anonymous
Its suprising how much feelings one can have for a plant. I did take care of it for over a year and spent a lot of time with it. But then suddenly it start looking no good and got all dry. I did try to repot it but it was no good no longer.
So today I decided it was time to give up on it. Suprisingly emotional to throw it away, almost felt I was gonna start crying.

Do you feel attached to your plants?

Oh yeah, my first african violet died, and I was so depressed... It got huge and tons of flowers, and I've got a cutting from it growing, so its still somewhat alive, but... Dr. Evil is no more. (Yes, I named my african violet Dr. Evil. The cutting is named Scott. :D )

I have grown every plant in my fishtank by hand.
I know every leaf and every root of them and care for them every day.
Of course I am attached to my plants.

I've had this one yukka for 5 years now, i'm pretty attached to it. If it died i'd be bummed for quite a while.

5 years ago when my gf and I decided to start dating we planted two small orange trees (we have large ones in our back yard so i just took some of the younger sprouts) in one pot and after a while their branches started interweaving and it always reminded us about how close we were. Their still growing strong today although me and my gf are having some issues.

How hard is it to water your shit once in a while? I've never had any plant die on me ever and I sure as hell don't follow the care taking guides I find on the net. Water, fertilizer, ????, profit!

I have two plants, Dexter and Rambo. Dexter (short for Poindexter) is a Poinsetta that I took home from work because no one else wanted it. Rambo is a plant whose type I forget, and who can survive ANYTHING. I SWEAR TO GOD. Not get watered for a month? No problem. Cat pee? Hah! Get knocked over and have to be replaced into a tupperware container? BRING IT ON, BITCH.

Best plant ever.

But to answer your question, yeah, I love my plants.

I don't have a lot of plants besides my collection of cacti, but I'm pretty attached to them. Especially Einstein the fluffy cactus and Shub-Niggurath of many tentacular growth. If either of them died, it'd be much sadder than losing, say, a fish from the aquarium.

I had five Dracaena marginata stalks growing out of a pot, and then fungus invaded and killed off two of them. One day I will remember to buy soil drench when I'm buying things.

i have this big plant in the corner that i've had for like 4 years. I forget to water it, then remember about every 3 months. Today I remembered it still existed and felt a bit neglective when I saw all its leaves were dead but four.

I have a bonsai that I've replanted and it's been around for 4 yrs. I also have a vine type plant that is traveling around my room via walls and taks. I love my plants and if my vine thingy died...it would be a tragedy. I've had that thing for 15 yrs.
