first of all, what he said>>162905 Also, cats have been selectively bred for temperament for as long as they have been around us. Granted, we didn't used to control them as completely as dogs or even as we do our cats today, but still we were a huge factor in their survival, reproduction, or otherwise. Cats that did't respond well to our environment would either be chased off, killed, not fed, or similar. We have always favoured the friendly ones, they get the shelter, the food, their wounds patched up. The nice ones are the ones that became the ancestors of our pets, even the moggies.
