I just came in from doing chores outside and I was my hands in the sink.. All of a sudden this monstrous spider crawls out from beneath a plate.

I live in southern Ontario, and spiders this size are rather hard to come by. Anyone know what it is exactly? Once I get an answer I'll release him outside somewhere.

He's about an inch long with his legs extended, with a big white stripe on his 'head' with two smaller black ones on each side. Help please!

(Sorry about the picture quality, all I have is a webcam)

irrelevant mistake, but I still feel like a tool :(

It's a hobo spider

Either a wolf spider or a funnel web, it's harmless.

Thanks for pointing that one out.
I normally breeze right past drawings, but that one was funny.

OP here

Thanks everyone, I got an answer and some humor too. I let him go outside, and found a second one in my house later in the day. Damned thing was right by my mom's head, and it was huge.

Crisis averted though(caught and released that one too). Thanks Anon's!
