Anyone in california have a hedgehog? How did you get yours? Is it worth it?

1. No.
2. I didn't, although I heard that a road trip is usually in order.
3. Sure, if you don't mind a pissy attitude, feeding live food, and not being able to pet it. Oh, and not being able to take it anywhere or being able to find a vet.

Actually, you can pet a porcupine, just pet it from head to tail and you shouldn't get a handful of spines. (Unless you have a thing for that)

You do know that porcupines and hedgehogs aren't related right?

I don't have one but I can't see it being worth it. It'll be hell finding a vet to treat it if it falls ill and you'll constantly have to worry about it being confiscated and killed by animal control.
