Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? I've been seeing it in my backyard a lot, but I don't know what it is. I live in western Florida, if that helps for range and whatnot. I took this picture using digital zoom to get a better view.

Some kind of oriole?
>> SealMan
I hadn't even thought of that, it probably is. I'll look into it some more.

Not even going to ask.

But anyway, now that we've figured out what that is, let's see if anyone knows what this is.
This bird was also photographed by me today, and I'm having just as hard of a time figuring out what it is. Any ideas?

Heh, the (thankfully) rare Rockatiel.

If this is your backyard, then it looks pretty nice. I was under the impression that most homes in Florida nowadays do not have much space. As for the bird, I have never seen it before.

Yeah, this is my backyard, it is fairly spacious for most back yards in Florida, yes. We're near a big city, but more on the outskirts, and there isn't much behind our house except federally protected woodlands and creeks. Good for birdwatching, though I usually get only Cardinals. Yesterday when I took the two pictures I posted in this thread, I got lucky with those two, and an indigo bunting. I've even seen small deer on occasion. It's pretty nice here.
