I have a disturbing question for you /an/If a healthy young Rotwiller suddenly becomes lethargic one day and dies with blood coming from his mouth, what could be the cause? It happened years ago to a dog of mine, and I still can't let it go.I thought he swallowed a sharp object at first but the vet says it didn't find anything.I think it was poisoning, but I simply could afford an investigation at that time.
rat killer stuff
I would say poison. Maybe antifreeze or rat poison as the previous poster stated.
or maybe he ate a cherry pit. They can be lethal if a dog eats one
Is that pre tank tank cat?
I'd say he probably ate rat poison or something sharp that ripped up his insides.
>>283859Oh my. I do believe you are correct.
Tuberculosis?
>>283859Yeah, it's the real deal.
Rat Poison would seem a likely culprit. Works by causing a deadly deficiency of vitamin K(I think), which causes massive internal hemorrhaging/easy hemorrhaging. That's pretty much a death sentence with a large dog.
