HALP Anonymous
Can anyone here tell me the name of this adorable thing? I've been looking for the last three hours trying to find out what exactly it is Unfortunately I don't have my field guide anymore so I don't even know if it's fromt he US. :[ I don't see any paratoid glands and the face is pretty small.. I've been looking mostly under toads but I guess it could still be a frog. Any answers? I want one :O

Looks like some sort of burrowing frog. I don't think it's a toad. These guys take in as much water as they can in the wet season, and can live through droughts by burying themselves in the mud and going into hibernation mode. We have a number of these sorts of frogs in Australia, but I don't know if that one is one of ours or not.
