My cat wont stop chewing on my wires, is there an easy way to get her to stop? i tried putting aluminum foil around them but she still tries to chew. I'm tempted to buy some of those sprays you use for cats like bitter apple or something. any suggestions?

pic is related, it is the beast that is destroying my things.

also if there are easy ways of getting cats into the cat carrier that would be appreciated too.

carrier related: i have a cat that's TERRIFIED of the carrier. i take it out just to move shit in the closet and he hides for DAYS. for my other two i put their blankie in there leave the door open for a few hours to a few days. they'll eventually find that it's their own little cave. food also works as "bait". good luck

I just scream :( NOOO!!! as if them biting the wire physically hurts me somehow. It's kinda funny watching them get all concerned looking ...and then I just pop the shit out of them. Seems to work and they still love me. They also run into the cat carrier the moment I open it up, they even sleep in it sometimes.

I just leave mine open and on the ground

thanks for the tips, maybe i'll try putting some food like you said, would you suggest something different from what she normally eats, or the same stuff i feed her?

as for yelling no, i try it, and it doesnt seem to work, she just looks at me, moves around and goes back to biting, then i tap her lightly on the head until she gets mad at me. I usually have to leave the room and she'll follow me, only to follow me back into the room with the wires.

Make it a treat food, not something you would give her day to day. It's more incentive that way.

Try the bitter spray. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Worked ok for mine but you have to keep applying it.

is there a way of making a homemade bitter spray? if not i'll just have to buy some.

Use the bitter spray you don't want to end up with a fried cat.

My cat used to chew up everything until I started spraying her with water. She eventually got the picture.

As for the carrier, try leaving it out in the open more often, so they could become accustomed to it and not associate it with something bad.

Bitter spray, or bitter apple gel, we use it on the cords here to keep our ferrets from becoming fried woozel.

Buy a dog to put your stupid asshole cat in it's place.
