I work with turtles for a living, including snapping turtles. Sorry to tell you this, but if your dad turned/moved the eggs at all, they're probably not going to hatch. Moist dirt is fine for the eggs if you want to try hatching them, make sure to keep it warm. You'll know if they're still viable in a few days if they start to stink. If they do hatch, set them up in an aquarium that has both water and places they can come up on land. It'd be best to keep them separate from any other turtles, and you might need to separate them if they start to act aggressively to each other. Feed them bits of earthworm. Good luck! Post pics if they do manage to hatch.
