He takes some awesome photos. Almost got to go to a photography seminar with him at an Arachnid convention. Just couldn't make it though. :( The rest of these photos are mine.

I've talked to him a couple times on various forums. He's pretty cool, but you can tell that he gets tired of being asked what camera he uses and how to shoot what he shoots.

He used to use a Canon Rebel. It was funny seeing the inexperienced photographers with the same camera ask why their photos blew compared to his. It's like they thought $2000 would buy them talent.

Here's a recluse I have.

Yea, I think that was what the seminar was about..to try and give people a good idea on what lighting and camera settings to use. It was at either Arachnocon or the ATS conference..

The Rebel XT is what I have. Kinda just learning on my own as I go.

That's a nice photo. I only ever had tarantulas, some jumpers, and a couple wolf spiders here and there. Unfortunately I have none right now since I joined the military. One day I plan on getting at least one tarantula again..gonna be tough deciding what species though!

Speaking of species..this is my favorite. My old Psalmopoeus cambridgei female.

My female P. cambridgei is also one of my favorites. It's a lot more personable than my P. irminia, who is small, probably male, and overly shy.

My old male P. cambridgei used to sense me coming into the room after work and he'd pop out on top of his cork bark to see what was going on. :D heh I loved that little guy..but he was the first of my larger T's to give me a threat display once he was mature.

This is when I first got him...about 1.25"

My old Brachypelma vagans ..almost as small as he was when I got him...this shot was after one molt.

This thread makes me want to feed my spiders. They're all tiny little fucks. I have a 3 year old Brachypelma albopilosum that's barely an inch in legspan.

Fucking thing better be a female to make up for its dwarfism. I'm afraid of feeding it more often than once a week too, since it tends to get obese. Same thing with an unidentified Aphonopelma I have. That thing's opisthosoma explodes in size after just one cricket and ends up not eating for months.

This is him before I sold him as a known male to someone with an adult female.

Honestly, I used to power-feed my slings so that they would grow faster. The more food a spider takes in..the faster it will grow. After a certain point when the spider reached a size that you know would be less likely to desicate, then I would back off a little and go to once a week as far as feeding. My old albopilosum wasn't too bad at growing...but she was fairly small.>>324445is one pic of my old albo female. She was cool only she didn't want any part of being handled. I'd hold my hand next to the edge of her container and she'd be climbing out..as soon as she felt me skin, she'd freeze, then back up. :(

Hang in there with the little guy.. Brachys aren't the fastest in growing..but it will be worth it.
