hey /an/ I have a question about my cat.First some background info: She wandered into my house about six months ago. She looked really lost so, I took her in and she's been living with me ever since. I assume that her former owners just dumped her out in the desert near my house and she found her way to my house somehow. I assume this because she looked fairly well fed when I found her and she didn't look like some of the feral cats I occasionally see. She's been spayed. The vet says she's about two years old. Now, her problem is that she is really antisocial and does not trust people, she does nor like being held and will only tolerate someone petting her for a few minutes. Sometimes when I pet her she gets really tense and will grab onto my hand with her front paws, kick my forearm with her hind paws and repetedly bite my hand. I've never had a cat before so I don't know if she's playing around or being agressive. My question is this: Is this normal cat behavior or is my cat, as I suspect, a victim of abuse by her former owners. If this is the case, what can I do about it?
cats are assholes.two of my cats do this when they are fed up with me petting them.is her tail flicking when she does this? it just means she's had enough of your petting.
>>209977I think this is pretty normal. My cat does the same thing. She just doesn't like being touched I guess.
OP here.so my cat's just a fucking bitch?well, at least it's nothing major

It sounds like she's playing. I have 6 cats so I've seen this behaviour before.Does she put her ears back and hiss? or flip her tail about? That's a sign off anger or annoyance.
