Sorry for another cat thread, but you know, gotta balance out the "WUT IZ DA SPIDURRR" threads. My mum wants to get another cat (Along with our current generic shorthair with 1 eye) - and I have tried to get her to get a cooler animal, eg scorpion, mudkip, snake, etc etc, but she doesn't want to because she's had those previously. So the choice is "cat or cat" but I want something that isn't boring. So /an/, can cats not be boring EVEN after they aren't kittens anymore? I was mainly wondering if different types of cat's have different "personalities" or traits or something? Eg Siamese V Those furless ones... or something.TL;DR: Are there any types of cats that are fun all through their life?
I'd go for that Mudkip
get a savannah, it's almost a dog in personality and size, but still technically a cat
>>149754Looks awesome, but we're in Australia - would this be a problem? in b4 "cbf looking at ausfailia lawsAlso, we aren't exactly swimming in money. I don't want a fucking Tiger or something, I just want to know if all cats are uppety fucks, or if some are actually fun to play with.
>>149759Ragdolls cost around $200-$300 AU for a kitten. They have rather clingy personalities.
>>149759here's someone's pet page in australia, so I'm guessing you can get them there.http://catoftheday.com/archive/2003/April/24.html
well i would recommend a Manx.mine have excellent personalities, they play fetch, are intelligent and friendly.iv'e got a Devon Rex too,but its a kitten.hes mental, has balls, standing upto my biggest cat,and hes not afraid of anyone.he also purrs at everything.
>>149766that purring bastard!
All cats are fun all the time. Id recommend a Bengal tho ours have always been gr8.
Calicos always seem to have issues. We have one that might have been the runt of the litter, shes almost 10 now and still acts like a kitten. She's just crazy. And retarded. For real.I've heard other people with calicos say they're crazy too. Try to find a male one, then you KNOW it has problems.
Oriental, Sphynx, Devon Rex, Siamese, Balinese, Egyptian maumost fascinating cats i've ever seen, such great personalities.
I have an angora, or angora mix. He's very flamboyant and fun, but also sweet. He wakes me up in the morning and wants attention, plus he's also very talkative. Intelligent enough to come when called too.
Try and ask for a ferret.
>>149766Fucking seconded. Out of all the cat breeds I have known, raised, loved or hated, Manxes were the best. They are extremely devoted, intelligent, and expressive. And, yes, they tend to play games like fetch even as adults.
