Search for the articles online. I agree with a lot of people i think the cat had kittens the same tme a dog had puppys and the cat lost her kittens and the puppies lost their mom and the cat took the puppies in.

Its not unheard of for animals to do that. They just wont have other animals babies. Theres something up with this.

A cat and dog dont mate!!! they are different species. gosh...
the kitty must have adopted the puppies.

Here's an interesting thought, though. If a mad scientist implanted fertilized dog eggs into a cat uterus, is there any chance that they could develop into puppies?

Women and men have sex with dogs and horses. Whats the difference in Cats and Dogs together?

Animals know better.

They might. Animals will hump a humans leg wont they? A male will hump another male if thats all it has to have sex with. Maybe the small dog needed something to hump and the female cat was in heat and there. Who knows.

There have been cases of Very large dogs mating with tiny dogs. IE a great dane has mated with a chawawa and produced a liter of puppies. This isnt much different :-p Though i still dont think it would happen i believe the cat just found some abandoned puppys and took them in. Ive seen that happen.

Read what you are replying to, will ya? Chromosomes don't matter when the eggs are ALREADY FERTILIZED with dog sperm! Duh!

"People who aren't experts often imagine things," said Pacheco, director of the Institute of Biological Sciences of the University of Passo Fundo. "All the facts contradict her."

Actually, it might work. A lot of factors could fuck it up: blood compatibility, the temperature of the uterus, gestation time, ovum size with regards to implantation, and the relative size of the host and embryo could all lead to spontaneous abortion. However, certain matches have been made between species of rodents at the very least. Cats and dogs are probably too far apart since their closest relationship is Order Carnivora, but it's not as impossible as you guys seem to think. Google "surrogate uterus between species" for some links.

I'm personally well aware that it's possible, but not between cats and dogs.
