Hello /an/ I need some help with a decision. I cant decide if I should get a golden retriever puppy at this point in my life. My current situation is living in an apartment (pet friendly), and attending a local college. I'm 18 years old, financially stable, and already have 2 cats who are both 3 years old. Both my cats are brothers and from what I've seen are not very territorial when it comes to other animals. (They have lived with another cat, and been around adult retrievers.) Basically what I'm asking is do you think I'll have enough time to juggle a dog, 2 cats, friends, and college all at the same time? If I do decide on getting a dog, it wont be given away or end up in a shelter, and will get proper medical care. Also I'm worried about an apartment being to small for a large dog. Any input will be great, thanks.

You've already said the things that will end up happening to your dog. Wait until you have children to play the the dog before you get one. You'll have a chewed up apartment in no time. If you don't have access to a backyard you're going to have to run/walk the dog and also stimulate it with training and play to keep boredom (read: chewing and barking) away.

No, don't get one.
