Lawl- I was going to post this in its own thread, but this seems too good to pass up.
A retired American couple have hired a cab for a 4000-kilometre ride to their new home to protect their cats from the cold of a plane's cargo hold, and from each other.
New York couple Betty and Bob Matas opted to take a yellow cab to their new home in Arizona, fearing their two cats would freeze to death in a cargo hold if they took a plane.
Cabbie Douglas Guldeniz agreed to turn off the meter and charge a flat rate of $US3000 ($3600), plus expenses for the journey. If the couple follow New York protocol on gratuities, Guldeniz could be in for a $US450-$US600 tip.
