I has one.
They lost most of the folds as they get older. Mine has them on her back/tail now.
She's a great dog, very healthy, never had a serious health problem in 5-6 years. Never been the slighest bit hostile towards any person or animal. Barks when strangers come up to the house, but then acts all nice and goes up to get attention. Doesn't bark "a lot", just enough to let us know. Sometimes barks a lot at other dogs or coyotes a lot. Protects our cats from coyotes that used to eat them.
They don't train super fast, but she learned and remembers the few commands I stuck with to teach her. She's pretty willful, does her own thing.
Some people think of them as "fighting dogs" but really they're the calmest nicest dogs you can imagine. As far as I know they had to drug them to get them to fight.
