What does your indoor cat's usually do? Does they want to go out or just stay in and sleep, my cat just sits on the windowsill and makes weird noises to the dog barks.

my cats attempt to break land speed records chasing each other around the house

Yeah, she does it to birds too. Sounds funny though.

Pretty sure cats do that when the sight/hear "prey." Dunno why it'd do it in response to dogs, though.

jump in front of my moniter steppin on my keyboard and lay there just to annoy me..
jump in my lap and take a nap (aw snap)
when she's outside she jumps around the yard, swatting at insects, getting humped by other stray cats, and dragging torn-up dead birds into my room. bitch.

lately she's been laying next to her kittens all day when she's not outside

What exactly does the teeth chattering thing mean? Is it just an overload of excitement? My kitten can't control her reaction when she does this to birds.

Cat's usually do that chittering thing when they see prey, especially prey they can't get to. It's somewhere between excitement and frustration. Both adults and kittens do it.

I have two cats; they move from indoor to outdoor.

One cat is incredibly lazy and lies in the middle of the floor for most of the day, only goes out about once a day or so. Only time she's not sleeping, she's eating, or being coddled by yours truely [had that cat for 12 years, I love her to pieces]. Incredibly lazy, incredibly fat; she's boring unless she's caught a mouse which happens about once every three years.
But she is incredibly affectionate.

My other cat is a polar opposite; he constantly wants inside and outside at random intervals during the day. He's always out doing /something/, god knows what, and is a total pig when he eats. He's the kind of cat that pushes his face in the bowl when I'm pouring food in so I dump food all over his head. He's playful; but hates being held or picked up. Doesn't mind me petting him though; but it's a rarity to see him snuggle.

Pic related, it's my second cat.
