Teach it good habits when interacting with you. I know you think it's cute to have the kitten dig its relatively soft claws in you, or nip your fingers and whatnot, but it's NOT CUTE when the kitten's a full-grown cat.
I think you were supposed to feed it 3 times a day, then cut it to 2 times, then cut it to once a day as the kitten ages. As you know cats are lactose intolerant, give it lactose-free milk or pet milk, depending on which is cheaper.
Leave plenty of fresh water, don't let it drink from the toilet ever, get a scratching post that's much taller than its height so it can stretch itself fully when scratching, change the litterbox often and keep it in a secluded area of the house, if your house is double storey or whatever, keep another accessible one, at least until the cat knows how to use the pet door or something.
Oh, last but not least, don't let your kitten or the litter box near pregnant women - toxoplasmosis.
