Hey /an/, long time lurker, first time poster here.Just decided to get into reptiles recently, so I got a few lizarts (two anoles and two long tail grass lizards)

Recently, though, I've noticed a cloying smell (like at the reptile exibits at the zoo) Anyone have any tips on getting rid of it? Also, any other care tips would be nice.

you noticed a wat?

not sure what your talking about but reptiles shouldnt havea noticable smell

what size cage?
substrate?
temps?
how often are you misting?
what kind of cover is on the tank?

It's a twenty gallon tank with a terrarium liner (It's a carpet style, if that helps). I haven't recorded the temprature, but I keep a 75 watt heat lamp on for 16 hours a day (sits over one side). It's a screen top, and I generally mist it once a day.

sounds like lizard poop.
might be time to change the substrate and clean off the decor.
If your lizards are acting strange in addition to the smell, I'd consult a herp vet if you can find one and are willing.
