hey guys, So I have to get a fish for a project we have going on at my work

Basically, its seeing who can keep a fish in a litre soda bottle alive the longest

What type should I buy /an/? I would prefer it not be too cute, since its death is inevitable

Well, you need an airstone in there for air circulation and you need to do frequent water changes because there is no filter in there, and of course feed it like 1-2 times a day. I have a 47 gallon saltwater tank so i kno what im talkin bout :P I have that fish in my tank tis my fav (in the pic)

o, i forgot something, try to use RO DI freshwater (you can get it from aquarium store usually) Or just use tapwater and use declorinator thingy from petco or something. tapwater has lots of bad stuffs in it

Buy a guppy.

I remember way back in 9th grade we had a project where we kept guppies in a litre soda bottle along with pond snails. I've still got offspring from the 4-5 guppies that I kept from then, both them and their parents survived in a jar without any circulation or anything.
