In my genetics class at college oh so many years ago we had the most awesome lab evar.
We all had to go to the bathroom, swab our asses, and culture it in an incubated petri dish.
A few days later all the dishes had the nice healthy green sheen of E. coli...except for one..this kid that had been over in Africa all summer on a mission trip and had been taking quinine, other antimalarials, and a shit ton of prophylactic antibiotics.
His ass lit up like a Christmas tree...the dish was covered in about 20 different colonies of every color and texture, the geneticists and microbiologists spent hours trying to id them all, several they never figured out..wish I still had that list but I wrote it on the back of a lab manual that is long gone.
tl;dr: Don't -the fuck- ever go to Africa
