yo /an/ i feel sorry for stray cats

i was in a low-class neighborhood the other day and i must've saw about 3 stray cats wander around

one of them even walked up to the doorstep of a house and just waited there. the owner said that he probably used to live there. :(

homeless people usually have done something stupid in their lives but cats have done nothing wrong

shit even most stray dogs can attack rodents for food but cats cant do shit

got nowhere to go
got nowhere to sleep
got nowhere to eat

fuck. why God, why? :(

the answer is their owners were shitty. shitty not to fix them, and shitty in thinking they were better off fending for themselves rather than a pound situation.

nice troll btw.

A lot of people are stupid and careless when it comes to pets, unfortunately. They think of them as disposable when the cuteness of a kitten or puppy gives way to a full grown animal.

However, in my experience, almost every cat I've seen roaming around my neighborhood has an owner. I've had cats come up to my door and look like they were starving, meowing like crazy trying to get in, but they just go door to door like that (and it obviously works). What would help is if people actually put collars and tags on their kittahs when they let them go outside.

hmmm, have you ever actually had a cat? mine brings birds to my doorstep all the time, even a baby bunny(!) once. i'm pretty sure they can live a lot better "homeless" than stupid ass dogs.

yah, cause you see lots of elderly strays, right?

strays are lucky to live a couple of years before being savaged by a dog, getting some horrid infection or getting schmucked by a car

I just consider them part of the local scenery/urban wildlife. They look pathetic, but ferals can get by. No wild animal lives a long luxurious life.

I know of one place (in FL) that reeks of cat piss and regularly see strays darting away into the trees. One day I was walking by and saw some crazy lady who is pouring bags of cat food and leaving cans, like twenty at a time, behind a store. She was trying to be sneaky about it, but I wasn't going to tell. Reminded me of a guy who fed the pigeons every evening but kept getting fined for it, so he finally had to hire someone to "get rid of them."
