Hello /an/, I'm the take a picture of a bug everyday guy from last week. Anyways I finnaly got my new camera, and its much better than the crapola chinatown one I had. So today I went out real quick and took a pic of a Japanese Beetle in the classic defensive position, a picture I was kicking myself for not taking last week.

Grasshopper nymph, you can tell because the wings aren't fully formed. This is the instar (molt) before becoming an adult. In this stage, the wings are actually inverted, which is why you can clearly see the veins. I knew the subfamily for this...but I forgot it, I think it's Oedipodinae but I can't say with any certainty
