Huge Moth Anonymous
I just went out to the porch and then I saw the hugest moth I've ever seen. When I went to get the camera, the cat had already gotten to it. After the pics, I gave it to her. I live in western Florida.

There was one as big as a bat in my house once. It was knocking cups over and all sorts of shit. I killed it by waiting for it to cling to the wall and throwing a soccer ball at it.

When I lived in Beijing there was this huge moth in one of our four bathrooms. My dad crushed it with a piece of toilet paper and it made the most disgusting crunching sound I have ever heard. And oh yeah, there was goo. A lot of it.

Now why would you do that? It's not like it's gonna fucking hurt you. They're absolutely harmless, and cool too!

We have moths like that... big as a bat. They're pretty docile and clumsy fliers. The don't hurt anything, like to hang on the porch on hot days. People call them Black Witches, or Ascalapha odorata

Found this beautiful and huge silk moth on my house. It laid eggs and I raised them, their cocoons haven't hatched yet though.

Sweet! Free silk! How long will it take for them to make a bathrobe?

um the silk IS the coocoons, you have to boil them alive and then uravel them

Actually, there is a method of allowing the young to survive and using the silk from the cocoons, even if it is rarely used.
