Cat Flu? Anonymous
Hey guys, just hoping to get some advice on my kitty, i got home from work on thursday and he had a paticularly bad limp, so i gave him some cat antibiotics that my vet had given me for such cases (lots of other cats in my area so infected cat bites are common) and the next day he seemed fine, he wasnt limping at all but for the last two days hes been tucked up in my room and only leaves to go to the bathroom (which is diaoreah) and then comes right back and curls up in one of my chest drawers which i converted into a makeshift bed for him, hes not acting like his normal chirpy self and seems dispondant and isnt displaying any kind of affection as he usualy is an extremely affectionate cat i am kind of worried. is this merely a catflu or could it be something more serious?

Sage for obvious troll.
alternatively, if you're too retarded to see that your cat needs a vet and NOW, then it deserves to die and you shouldn't be allowed near animals/people. Go lick a dog's asshole until it bleeds.

ok now that generic reply #7 is out of the way can i get some real help? im not a trained vet so i dont know the specifics of cat sickness, i cant afford to take him to a vet unless you know of some vet that will look at him for free.

If you can't afford the vet, you shouldn't have the pet. Simple as that.

The vet will work out a payment plan with you. The important thing is to get your cat to the doctor. Worry about paying later.

And FYI, it's always a good idea to have some money you can put your hands on in case of an emergency.

Did you read>>296554? Did you miss the part about the payment plan? You don't need to get a loan before you go to the vet, you fucking idiot.

There is a veritable cornucopia of different things that can be. Those are just some basic symptoms that leave a broad spectrum of issues. Everyone here is telling you to take it to a vet because that is what you need to do. You may be a troll but seriously, having a pet also means having the resources to take care of it if it is sick. If a cat is injured or recently injured they may become reluctant for a while till they feel more comfortable in their surroundings again. Though my honest opinion would be to have it checked out. My only request is that the next time you think of getting a pet, and after your cat dies from your lack of "but my money is worth more than my cat" type attitude remember that they are living things. They have emotions, and it's better to let it go to a different owner than you.

You say you don't have money yet here you are on the internet which costs money, and you probably buy things for your computer or general electronics or hell anything that you don't necessarily need, yet you'd rather just let your cat remain sick and not seek professional health.

Again, this is probably a troll but if you aren't Christ dude, get a fucking heart or learn to take care of your animals.

Priorities.

Why can't the fucking troll stay in /b/?

This isnt a troll and i dont have a "money is more important than my pet" attitude and i would do anything for my pets. ive got 4 cats and USUALY have the resources to take care of all of them, its just this paticular week most of my pay went on hefty car repairs that were unavoidable. my local vet is unprepared to offer any finance. dont you think i would of thought of that first? they only offer finance on serious situations like car accidents. IF you are a member of that paticular after hour clinic. id just like to point out i didnt buy this cat, i rescued it.

OP Here, id just like to let you all know that ive spoken with a neighbor who is willing to give me the money to get him to a vet in exchange for some work around her yard.

Here's some for-home advice. This may sound gross but when your cat has diarrhea, take a stick or something and poke at it. If it looks like it has mucous, blood, is green, or has worms in it (they don't have to be alive), your cat needs an antibiotic that you can only get from the vet. If you go to the vet, take a stool sample with you.

Also, since your cat has diarrhea, go out and buy a small bottle of a juice for small children that has electrolytes in it (in the pharmacy isle, ask a pharmacist if you cant find it). Put some of this in the cats water and make sure they are drinking.
I'm not sure about the limping. Also, if you can post what antibiotic you are giving the cat that would help.
