Sup /an/. Does anyone know why two out of a three cat fleet (2f 1m, all spayed/neutered) that have lived together uneventfully for 6 or 7 years should suddenly take a dislike to each other and start fighting? What's the best way to way to stop them?
There's been no house move, no new pets or people come into the household, or any change to their routine that I can think of. It's the male and one of the girls that are fighting, it started suddenly a couple of weeks ago, and they are still at it.

Ideas/suggestions? Pic not related because it's of the innocent third cat.

4chan is totally the place to ask about complex advice for the mental states of pets, am I right?

Die in a fire you mindless little cunt. There's nothing wrong with asking for people's ideas.

One of them probably did something to piss the other one off.

One could be sick. Perhaps you changed furniture around or a visitor to the house upset them and they haven't gotten over it.

Are they really fighting (blood drawing, yowling, missing claws) or are they playing (chasing around the house back and forth with the occasional pinning down)?

I think your cats are about to die. Enjoy your dead felines.

There's been hissing and yowling, scratched faces and a notched ear, but no biting yet. There's no sign of illness at all, they eat, sleep and shit as normal and they're happy and normal with the other cat and with people. They just can't be in the same room without it kicking off.

Is it a room in particular that they fight in, or all over the house? That's really weird. Try and think of anything at all that changed in the house about the time that they started fighting. Sometimes it's as simple as a favorite sleeping spot being moved that starts a fight. As for what to do.. honestly, I can't think of anything besides keeping them separate, or giving them treats when they are nice to each other. You could try putting a couple piles of catnip in a room, one for each cat, to get them to chill out near one another.

Crushing furries is one of the best parts of being a dick! We also get free health care if we stop working!

Perhaps the've been trying S&M to rekindle their relationship?
