Funny, I've had the exact same pair though I got the pacu after the arowana was a bit bigger. They WILL get along fine at first, but as most said you will need a bit bigger tank as they grow. With my pair, I noticed that as the Arowana got larger (it's a silver arowana too, they're the cheapest!) It seemed to swim a lot more and seemed to stress the pacu out especially at night, so I seperated them. I don't own the Pacu anymore, and the arowana is still kicking it in the 250 I have. If anything, I suggest getting a glass lid and weight it down with bricks, and try to keep aquarium deco to a minimum. With 2 HUEG fish swimming around, things get knocked over, uprooted, and fish get scratches.
