My cat has these strange growths on one toe on both front paws, looks like a kinda mix between a claw and a matrix, and they grow like finger nails. she was born with them.
I have never seen anything like them on other cats, have you?

Take the cat to the vet and ask them.

Well, kind of. Chances are, that's a form of polydactyly, where cats and humans are born with what was supposed to be another digit as a result of a mutation. Sometimes it's just a stub, sometimes it's an actual digit, and sometimes it actually works. It's not life threatening or anything, and in fact cats can benefit from it because some can perform feats of manual dexterity like opening doors.

But to be safe, though, check with a doctor o_o

My cat has something similar. They grow out of the tips of his pads and curl upwards, like an extra set of claws. They're not sharp, though. I read something about it somewhere, but I can't find it now.
If it doesn't seem to be hampering or hurting her in any way, don't be overly concerned.

You know how old people have crusty, creepy elbows? You know how, after working outdoors and doing athletic stuff for a few days, the bottoms of your feet feel leathery (if you wore shoes) or really hard (if you did not wear shoes)?

Its that. Its just a callus. The reason it is so hueg like xbox and pointy is because it never got rubbed/groomed off, and so built up over time. Feel fee to pick at it. I clean them off my cats' paws once a month or so, with just a bit of lotion (unscented and as natural as you can get it). Though, i'm not sure you CAN get it off safely now that it is that big, there may be nerves growing inside it. Rub some lotion on there and see if you can't loosen it, and gently pick. If the cat protests too much, don't worry about it, it's not a big deal.

OP, your cat may have this, or is polydactl, as previous poster stated. I can't see anything in those shitty dark pictures.

Sometimes genetic anomalies aren't the fault of the owner, baby. Take it easy!

Kenshin (the orange cat pictured) chews or otherwise breaks his off regularly. They grow slowly but constantly, like fingernails. Probably like OP's cat.

Not calluses.

Try not to get all riled every time you see something weird. Probably not good for your blood pressure!

Watch out! When he unsheathes his claws he'll create a vacuum you won't be able to avoid.

I don't belive I did say that it was the fault of the owner? If they were to grow hueg and got in the cat's way, then yes it would but I noted that it was possible to avoid that.

Perhaps callus was not the right word, but the principal is the same. It's dead skin that hardens and builds up, and is mostly harmless.

Also, I don't know if you noticed this, but I'm a tripfag, known as 'Bitter Anon'. This would seem to indicate I am bitter, and/or rude. Hence why I am about to call you a cockfag for calling me 'baby' and commenting about my blood pressure.

Cockfag.

OP here, there's no need for a vet, she's had them for 17 years and it hasn't bothered her more than her regular claws have, it's not a vet issue. I'm quite very completely sure they're not a health risk.
Going to the vet with her would just stress her out and she'd have heart failure and die several painful deaths

>>83743
It's not polydactyli, those little thingies are on two of her regular four-a-paw-toes, there are no claws or matrix present on her wierdie-toes, just those thingies

>>83846
Sorry, it's hard to take bright and fancy pics when her fur, skin and genetic anomalies are black
