All of those are Maine Coons.

Which are pretty much a superior breed of cat.

That is a seriously pissed off cat. Bet it could eat those children.

By brother got attacked by a Maine Coon when he was two. He was sitting next to it and then pulled it's tail, very hard and the beast jumped up and took him out, leaving gushing teeth marks in his shoulder.

Oh god what I wouldn't give for an animooted of that moment.

Somebody should crossbreed Maine Coons with servals and lynxes and then the resulting hybrid with cougars, until we produce the ultimate cat.

One of our cats was half main coon. She was cute and sweet, most of the time, but g'damn was she a vicious little bitch when she got angry. She used to like to jump onto my computer chair as soon as I wasn't in it. It had a fabric cushion and when I'd try to move her she'd dig her claws into it and start growling. Then she'd bite me when I tried to lift her out of it. We fought over that chair many times. I eventually learned the only way to make her give it up was to sit on her. Even that only worked SOMETIMES.

Her sons were all naturally part main coon, and they were huge cats. Not quite as big as the ones in this thread, but still a bit larger than most other cats. She and her offspring were a lot of fun.

You tried a squirt gun and it didn't work?

Have you ever tried to make a cat with that much fur feel water? Seriously.

Oh, not the guy with the story though.

Yeah, but at least I wouldn't worry about it getting attacked by dogs.
Those poor dogs.

I have a cat that is immune to water based attacks (I can douse it and it won't get a clue). What works? Lysol. I pick up the can and he runs the hell out of the room.

Grab its neck just like female cats do with their young ones.
Just don't lift it up by ONLY pulling in that spot, support it by pushing it up. Cats know the neck-grab and will likely not scratch you. If they do, they at least can't reach you there and you can still run away unharmed.

After you do, lock yourself in a room and call 911. Pray your cat hasn't learned to unlock doors yet. Resist the urge to look under the door to see if the cat is still there, IT IS there and waiting for you to look so it can scratch your eye out.

It's no simple matter, you pretended you were it's mother and now it's pissed. Be prepared for a long showdown. When the authorities do show up have some friends pick up your stuff and make arrangements to live somewhere else for that is no longer your house, the scorned cat will live the rest of it's days there, pray it's not an outdoor cat and decides to hunt you down.

You have been warned.

I didn't want to get my computer chair and/or keyboard wet. Also, I wasn't /that/ mean, even if she was quite a bitch sometimes.

My cats learned how to operate doors. As long as the doors had a lever instead of a knob they would come and go as they pleased. I'm also quite sure they knew how to use knobs (or what they did) but simply lacked the physical ability to properly operate them.
