This is so goddamn annoying and I don't think there's anything I can do!
Lately there's a cat that's not a stray (too healthy and clean looking) that's been coming around the outside of my house at night. I don't know what for. It's a three-color cat so that means female right?
I have two indoor cats, male and female. They'll sit at the window and the other outside will come up. My cats will go BATSHIT INSANE and will start beating the shit out of the window and screaming like they're in a fight. They fucking hate this cat. The cat outside doesn't do anything but watch.
All I can do is take them away from the window but unless I lock them in a room forever they'll just keep going back. Goddammit.

Scare the other cat off till it doesn't come back. Simple as that.

Clearly, anon means calico.

If that cat starts fucking yowling, you know for sure she's on fucking heat and is caterwauling.

Just trap the cat and send it to the pound, anon. It's irresponsible of the other owner to let out cats like that.

Yes, let the cat potentially die so it's irresponsible owner can just get another one a week later and let the same thing happen.
Great plan of action.
Asshole.

OP, just scare the cat away. Maybe turn on the sprinklers when it comes around, or get one of those toys that will make a noise when people walk past it and put it near where the cat usually sits.
If it keeps coming back, maybe try and track down it's owner and let them know what's going on.
If it is a female in heat, maybe you can catch her and get her spayed or something. If the owner gets pissed off, just say you thought it was a stray or something. I dunno.

Idiot. If the cat isn't completely feral it will have no problem getting adopted into a good, responsible home. And if their previous owner cared about the cat at all they'd be smart enough to check the local shelters first when they noticed their cat missing. Most shelters do not allow the cat to be adopted for at least a month after it's brought to them in case their owner comes looking for it. You should take the cat to an animal shelter OP. If the .001% chance of it being put down really bothers you OP, make sure you send it to a no-kill shelter. As someone who spent many years volunteering at a local humane society, people like you who assume a life on the streets is preferable to a several months in an animal shelter bother me. In every shelter I've been to, the animals have been very well cared for and the only cats that were put down were the ones that came to us injured, ill or starved to the point where there was no hope of them living. They were put down so that they didn't have to live the last few days of their life suffering.

If the owner's irresponsible enough to let their cat out every night when she's in heat no less, I don't think there'd be much chance of them thinking/bothering to check shelters.
But yeah, I'll admit I'm a little ignorant of shelters. I've just heard too many bad stories to trust them off the bat. Funnily enough, I used to sort of volunteer at a no-kill shelter too (not much, just walking dogs for a couple of hours on the weekends), and pretty much all the dogs that went through there were saved from the brink of death row despite being friendly and healthy.
And of course if I were in the situation I wouldn't let a cat live on the street rather than going to a (good) shelter.

You are naive and sheltered.

"If the cat isn't completely feral it will have no problem getting adopted into a good, responsible home."

Do you have any idea how stupid you sound? If all the good cats in the US got adopted, there would be absolutely no such thing as a kill shelter because it wouldn't be necessary. But there is.
