The only fish I've ever caught were hardhead catfish and freshwater eels. I don't like to eat fish anyway, so it's just as well.

fishing is nice

do you guys catch and release? i never understood that shit, why the hell would you release the fish, i mean if you wont or cant eat the fish then you shouldnt fish that sort of fish

smoked or grilled perch is great, and they are fun and easy to fish, both summer and winter

Well, you know.

Laws kind of stop you from bringing home any old fish.

Not to mention you can't really control what bites your bite. You can't see a bluegill nibbling your bait and say "Oi! Mate! That's for the bass! Get off it!"

There's also the fact that most of the fun of it is in the fight. I put the fish back (if I'm not fishing with my relatives in Florida; they know how to clean and cook fish....You ever had fresh caught flounder and red? Orgasmic, I swear, especially knowing you caught it.) because it's a waste to kill them, as where I fish freshwater it's (small) bluegill and big mouth bass (generally young), and if I put them back they have a chance to get bigger, and a little wiser, and maybe I'll meet them or their spawn again and they'll be more of a challenge.

Got a bunch of walleye around the lake where I live, but they have a limit of zero. A few pike around, but a couple years ago it used to be all pike and only a few walleye.

Walleye suck for fishing though, they put up no fight and you can't even keep them so it's a waste of bait and time. At least pike fight like hell.

i'm a lame fisher. i just catch and release and i don't like the taste of fish.
its just me, some fishing line, bread and a hook.
got a little fish and hooked a big bass with it, i ended up wrapping the line around my hand and pulling it onto the shore.

biggest fish i ever caught and i cut up my hand real good. a'yup. i was a teenager than anyway.
