Is there any way to stop your cats from being naughty? I have two of them who always gets in trouble. My boyfriend is usually so frustrated that he gives them a hard spanking. I'm worried that it might not be good for them, and yet they still do the same shit.

Also, my roommate rarely cleans her cat litter, probably once a week if I'm lucky. She's barely home, never pays attention to him, and I pretty much take care of him besides cleaning the litter. I've told her to take care of him countless times, but she is still a bitch. How can I teach her a lesson?

Hitting your cat isn't going to do anyone any good. The key to pet discipline is to be 100% consistent and to make sure the animal knows that you're the "alpha". In the case of a cat, grab it by the scruff of it's neck whenever it's doing something you don't want it to do. That is what a mother cat will do with her kittens. It reenforces that you're the boss and it doesn't hurt the cat. Some people swear by squirt guns, but I get better results from the aforementioned method. Don't neglect the consistency. If sometimes you allow your cat onto the table, but other times you don't, that is only going to confuse the hell out of the cat. Set rules and consistently enforce them.

As for your roommate, I don't really know what to say. There's not enough information to go on. Is she just too "messy" for your tastes, or are we talking about an honest-to-god seriously nasty mess here? Is this a random roommate or a friend of yours?

Get your boyfriend to spank your roommate instead of the cat. Problem solved.

My boyfriend grabs them by the scruff. Sometimes I just tap on their behind, and it scares them a little. I think the biggest problem is that they know they're doing something bad, but they still do it. Whenever they pull on hanging towels, I would try to get to them, and they know they're not suppose to do that, so they run away before I can get to them.

My roommate is really bad at taking care of her cat... I often find his water bowl empty, and his litter box stinks so much that I can smell it in my room. She locks him in the laundry room with his stinky litter box at night. One time I think he puked all over the place or just pooped on the floor because there was no more room in the litter box. She is really a bad cat owner, and I can't take care of another cat. If I do her job, she'll never take good care of him. I really don't think talking to her would help because I've tried it so many times...
