There's something about the conciseness of this thread that makes it awesome.

This is the bestest stick insect ever.

From the pictures i would say Carausius Morosus, "Indian Stick Insect". But those dont get 6 inches long, rather 3.
Where do you live?

In case you want to keep it: Bramble is generally accepted by almost all phasmids (the insect family that makes up stick insects, walking leaves and such). Other rose related plants should work as well, sometimes oak. If it is a Carausius, it will eat anything anyways, from salad to ivy.

I remember one day I was just standing in the park in front of a tree and I felt something touch my arm. When I looked over, I fucking thought the tree was trying to grab me.

Just turned out to be one of these fuckers.
After that we both strolled around the park with it clinging to my face.

Louisiana, I don't need an ID on it, but you can guess anyway. I'll tell everyone what it is after a while.

I don't want to keep it either, it belongs outside. I know some people like to grab wild animals and keep them, but I'd just as soon let them be.

I was grabbing something I dropped in the bushes then touched one of those things and was like AAAHHHHHHH! wut the fuck! AAHHH!
