Hey /an/ I'm quite worried about my Axolotls as tonight they refused to eat their favourite meal...Earthworm

They would happily snatch them out of my fingers but after attempting to eat them, they would spit them back out, whats wrong with them? The water levels are fine and nothings changed recently...i've been growing the worms myself and they've eaten the last few perfectly....

Their diet varies from Earthworms one week, to Prawns, salmon pellets and feeder fish. I've had them for 5 months now. wtf is wrong?

I feed them every two days and it worries me when they don't eat.

well, they are fat, and aren't floating, thats a good thing.
is the water really cold? axolotls won't eat if the water is really cold, because it slows down their metabolism

caudata.org will help you much more than 4chan, i used to have axolotls, i loved them, but they died so quickly before i could even try to help them :(

I'd say take them to a vet. I can't say what's wrong, myself, but I understand your worry.

Good luck, I hope they'll be okay. They're so cute~

Unless you've got a specialist near by, i honestly would not even bother with a vet. Try calling a few places first.
My local vets couldn't even treat a leopard gecko, so i doubt most places will have the staff with experience on axolotls.

Are the worms from the same source? Are the worms being fed somthing different? Did you purge them before feeding? If they're both attacking the food and spitting it back out then it's probably an issue with the worms themselves.
