I've had her for 3 months now, and she lives with a male. Its summer here, she live out side and has everything a egg-layer could need, calcium, protein, hiding spots ect.

Yet, she hasn't laid even one egg since i got her.

lol, im not wanting to make them mate.
Quails are kind of like chickens, as in they lay an egg almost everyday of their lives, fertile or not. She hasn't laid at all.

not a female?

quails have very distinctive male and female feather patterns, so I doubt OP is mistaking her female for a male.

OP, have you searched well for the egg?

I'm not an expert on quails, but I'll throw some things I know about chickens and nonproduction at you.
My chickens aren't laying. It's because of the length of the days. They'll start again pretty soon.
Is she of the proper age to even lay? Is she molting, a lot of birds won't lay when molting.
You also might want to feel around her stomach for any hard lumps. She could be retaining them in her abdomen, which in turn would kill her.

It's summer where I live, I doubt that would be it. I've felt for eggs, nothing.
She must be too young then. whats the average age they lay?
