I'm interested in adopting a 10 month old great pyrenees mutt. He might have husky/malamute in it but the shelter isn't sure.

If I am to adopt him, how would I go about introducing him to cats? My two dogs never had a problem with the cats but I want to be prepared just in case this problem will occur.

pic not him but a tibetan mastiff.

If you have reason to believe there is some husky in him, please please please read up on huskies before you adopt.

My old husky/lab/wolf/dingo mix (im serious) actively sought after genocide of all feline creatures in a 50 mile radius.

My current huskies know not to fuck with indoor cats, however outdoor cats = fair game and I have been completely unable to dissuade them from destructifying every cat they see outdoors.

Mixes may be more tame when it comes to cats, but still...prepare yourself as if you were adopting a full blooded husky. If it turns out hes more Pyrenees you will be over prepared which is ok, but if hes got that husky fire you will be thankful.

That is certainly an interested mix you had.. My other dog is also fine in indoor cats and smaller indoor animals, but anything she catches in the backyard is fucked if we aren't around.

Thanks for your input. I've read up on huskies before and I plan on doing it again to refresh my memory. I want to be serious about this and I don't want anything that will go over my head.
