some years ago i picked up tiny hedhoges, that were too small to survive hibernation, and kept them until spring. they were cute as hell, oh those tiny little feet, wiggly noses and big eyes. but they smelled so bad, it was impossible to keep them indoors. they need a special diet (special hedgehog food [pet shop], worms aso, but never milk) and good medical care (wild ones often have parasites and illnesses). and its rather easy to get them somewhat tame, but taming them is stupid if you are going to release them....
