Siamese can be cruel, heartless bastards.
My mother had two, one was named Ray (of light) and the other Shadow because their personalities were completely opposite. Shadow was genuinely mean-spirited and avoided people, growled alot. Ray was always in your lap, would follow you, actively seek your attention, and purred louder than a car.
Shadow would kill every living animal that trespassed, and Ray seemed oblivious.
The thing is, they were brother (Ray) and sister (Shadow), and raised in the same household in the same manner. I'm not sure what makes one different from the other, but my mother said it has to do with the amount of attention they received as kittens.
Get them as kittens, and expose them to you as much as possible (even if they don't like it), but don't be rough or forceful. Just get them used to you. I think that's the only way you can influence their 'social' nature.
Otherwise, it's pretty much luck of the draw.
