To think of dogs as mindless, slobbering, play-crazy mutts is a bad stereotype. For one, I had a dog that you could say was very feline in the sense that he was very intelligent, well-mannered, and perceptive to human feelings.
Dogs will always be your friend, and they don't ask any more from you other than your love and attention.
Cats, on the other hand, want food. They want to scratch up your fucking upholstery. They will sit next to you as long as you stroke their fur (and ego) then leave you when they see fit. Cats are ridiculous, anti-social creatures--just like their owners.
