Liopleurodon?

I'm a biologist, let's see if that counts for anything....
>> Anonymous
You guys are fucking retarded. it's a whale.
>> Anonymous
PS- Go back to little biologist's school.

terrible.
>> Anonymous
Notice, no teeth.

DON'T LOOK A GIFT WHALE IN THE BALEEN!!
>> ABE
Im gonna say Blue whale
>> Anonymous
>>299021
Didn't count.
>> Anonymous
that looks like a baleen whale skeleton, contrary to the pic name. And if it IS the Monaco Oceanographic Museum (and the architecture implies it is), that is a skeleton they didn't have the last time I was there.
>> Anonymous
Ok so wtf is it OP

>BALEEN!!
BALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
>> Anonymous
Well, a baleen whale.

Narrow long jaw, so not bowhead or anything like that.

Flippers are smaller than I would expect but since it has kind of a hump on it's back I am going to say humpback.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Yes yes, it's a baleen whale. Correct.
>> Anonymous
I can't tell a blue whale skeleton from a fin whale whale skeleton, especially when there is nothing to reveal the scale. Which one is this?
>> Anonymous
you sure? this looks like a neopluridon too me.
>> Anonymous
>>299324
That's because you've abused drugs. Sane sober people know there is no such thing as pluridon, much less a neopluridon.
>> Stabby
Minke whale? Is this a photo of the Peabody Museum?

You might not want to include the name of the species in the photo you post in the Guess the Skeleton Thread.

But thanks for trying anyhow.
>> Anonymous
>>299180

I think that's a Camarasaurus, or at least some kind of Sauropod.

Damn, I'm not sauropod-savvy enough to recongize a skull from this perspective with any certainty. I guess I'm going to have to go with Camarasaurus too.
>> Anonymous
>>300166
I'm pretty sure that's a cave bear (Ursus spealeus). It's obviously an old skeleton and the proportions match.
>> Anonymous
>>299018
i am nearly postive that's from the harvard museum of natural history. i used to go there all the time as a kid. the skelaton actually had baleen back then though, so i can't be sure...

It looks like some sort of freakish lagomorph that's been put together all wrong. It might be a hyrax though, the skull seems right, as do the general proportions.

Next time, a bigger pic, please.
>> Anonymous
>>301370

you're right, it is a hyrax. i cbf searching through google images for a better picture.

That one is not real. That's an artist's CG work of a fictional animal, it has been posted many times on 4chan. I think that maybe it was supposed to be Tom from Tom & Jerry?
