/an/ my dog is very well mannered. I take her on walks without a leash almost everywhere and she always listens.

but she has a problem. when she is near cars, she goes nuts. my neighbor pulled up yesterday and she dashed into his car, through the open car door, and refused to get out. I've tried everything I know and just can't get her to listen. Halp!

USE A FUCKING LEASH. God I hate it when assholes walk their dogs without leashes.

Why? Because you get frustrated when you realize you can't discipline your dog to do the same and will therefore be a failure of a father, husband, etc?

No, I get frustrated when people think they can control their dog through their voice alone when it sees a cat, rabbit, car, jogger, child, etc. Your problem is exhibit A of WHY THERE ARE LEASH LAWS.

Also I'm a girl. I guess I would be a failure of a father.

I look forward to the day that a car runs over your dog whilst you are walking her.

I forgot to add. If your dog is the one in the pic, you're an even bigger retard. Huskies are notorious for escaping and running and not coming back.

If she is still in the car, you grab her by her collar and drag her the fuck out.

I did. She wined and clawed to stay in. I almost felt bad about it.

Never reproduce

True, however she hasn't run off, except to jump in cars.

Why? I'm pretty sure my offspring would be human, not canine.

Also it sounds like your dog wanted to go for a car ride.

I take her to the park once a day, which is a 15 minute drive. She just wants to ride too much, if you're picking up what I'm laying down.

I'm going to have to agree with this.

OP said his dog goes nuts with cars. If she is off the leash and a car happens to go by, dog takes off and could be injured. Or even loose her if the driver panics and speeds off or accidentally hits the dog. Then OP gets in trouble because of leash laws.

Even the driver gets in trouble.

"Fuck walks, I want a drive"

Your dog likes cars because they don't compare to any other form of entertainment. Next time she jumps into a car, try to lure her out by engaging in something that you appear to find really enjoyable. Play frisbee with yourself, throw a ball around and don't pay her ANY attention. Let her have the option of either playing with you or sitting in the car. Most likely, she will want to participate in the activity you're doing. Better yet, get some friends together and have a good time without her while she sits in the car. The idea is to make the car seem boring.
