Garden slugs and snails Anonymous
Hey /an/, are common garden slugs and snails actually any use in any kind of ecology, outside of serving as an easy snack for various small mammals and birds?

Also they keep getting into my kitchen somehow so I had to scatter salt around the walls underneath my worksurface so I don't see them when I go in there for snacks at night.

They usually eat fallen leaves and whatnot, but they do attack live plants if leaves aren't around. If you have a garden and find shit eaten you may want to off them once in a while.

Fallen leaves are good for my compost bin. At least the worms degrade that rather than eat it.

your concept of "degradadation" is wrong.
Worms do indeed eat fallen leaves and the shit is what we refer to as compost.

Alright, but the worms can do it and I can put up with them. I can't stand the sight of slugs/snails.

Scattering salt also has the added bonus of keeping the evil spirits out of your house.

it is completely real, they even tested it alongside a bunch of other common skincare products on the fabulous TV show, How to look good Naked.

snails creep the fuck out of me ever since reading the spiral horror manga.

Especially when I get tired, I panic and make sure htere isn't a shell growing out of my back.
