MiMi
Petsmart bitch, checking in.
I use Blue Buffalo Spa Select dry food for all three of my cats. Oldest is a Maine Coon mix, female, bout seven years. Second is a big chubby shedding-like-crazy shorthair, bout six years. Last is a year-and-a-half-old black and white shorthair, female. The older two eat the Weight Management because they both need to lose a few pounds. Babygirl used to eat Indoor Chicken variety, but I switched her to Salmon and Rice because it has higher calories and she's a hyperactive little spaz.
For an eight-month old cat, I'd say adult food is fine since she's already eating adult Iams, but as noted, Iams is not the best stuff out there. If she seems at all skinny, even for Siamese, I'd get her a bag of the kitten formula first, use that up, then transition her back to adult Indoor or regular Adult, once she's about ten months old at least. Then again, kitten food won't hurt her when she's a year old either. Up to you and your budget.
Blue Buffalo does make several varieties of wet canned food, which my two older cats do love to eat, but I give them only a can each about twice a week, because as noted, it doesn't help at all with dental care. Helps keep their water intake up, though, which is very important for a cat of any age, and especially geriatric cats.
My younger cat never really took to wet food, but she has a water fountain to herself, and doesn't seem to mind in the least.
:3 Cute kitty. If you've got any other questions, feel free to ask.
