Dogs can and do save lives, but by the same token, cats don't kill people..

The only thing that matters is
cat OR dog > people

Civilization would've had a harder time without cats killing all the rodents and bugs infesting our prehistoric granaries. Disease would've run rampant and it did in the middle ages when people were afraid of cats when cats would've killed off the rats bearing fleas who carry bubonic plague.

Dogs save lives because they were bred to do that and trained to perform a task. Dogs aren't performing these acts out of altruism, they're doing it for treats and pats on the head.

Oh you fucking retards. I get so tired of "___ only does ___ for praise!" One could argue humans do the same and there is no such thing as altruism. Not all dogs who saved people were trained to do so.

On the other hand, cats have been known to lead owners out of fires. Are they just doing it to save their own ass because they cant open the door? Maybe, but I'd think in a burning house there would be enough exits eventually.

You're a fucking retard if you think that cats could have prevented the Bubonic Plague.

Never underestimate the parasite-ridden brain of a raving catfag.

I just wanted to point out that you can train your cats to poo/pee in the toilet. Mine does
>> Anonymous
why do you do this
>> Anonymous

Pix of the cat using the crapper with a "Sup /an/" sign or it didn't happen. I don't think the average 4chan user has the time or patience to train his cat to use the shitcan.

You take your litterbox, and every 3 days move it closer to the toilet. After its right next to the toilet every three days add a 4 inch box under the litterbox. After that, put the litterbox on the toilet and take away that boxes. Three days after that, (or a week if you want to be safe) replace the litterbox with a 5-8 quart mixing bowl. Make sure the bowl is wedged tightly. Within the next week do not replace the litter in the litterbowl, but just take out the clumps.

Once you are almost out of litter (say a cup) then dump that out and put water in there (a little bit at first). Reward your cat when it goes in the bowl each time. Eventually the bowl will be full of water, and you can just take the bowl away.

You also have to show it correct squatting posture for pooping and peeing, its pretty obvious, just make sure she doesnt fall in.

Also remember, each time you make a change to where your cat's litter box is, go find your cat, pick it up, and drop it in the litterbox/bowl. It will look around and notice the change, make this a habit and by the first week and a half you will have clear communication going as to what you want it to do.

any issues with the cat missing? You know, like guys do.

Also, how in the world would you go about showing a cat proper posture... I've never trained a cat in any way more complicated than teaching it to stay off the counter.
