Also, why the hell do people look at beautiful and mighty predators and think "Wow, I want one to retrieve pencils for me"? Raptors are made to kill. That is all. To deny them of that would just be keeping one a prisoner. They can be dangerous, you need to show them WHY they shouldn't just fly away from you or rip your eyes out, and they're solitary animals in the wild-- therefore, no "make friends" instincts. The only way I condone keeping these being kept privately is if they can't be released to the wild due to health/imprinting reasons, or if they're being used by responsible falconers.
