The hunting and guarding kind are kinda insane like that. Finnish spitzes can be awesome dogs for bear hunting. They just run around harassing the bear and keeping an awful racket at the same time. No bear hunting dog is supposed to really attack the bear only to get pwned. Actually its kinda funny how a good bear dog can keep the bear sitting down, at least the male bears... "RAR, BARK, I'LL BITE YER NADS!" "OH NOES!"
