Hey /an/. I don't visit here often but I have a question.

A while ago I have been noticing a hedgehog in my garden now and then. The dogs go nuts whenever I release them and run to a specific bush where I suspect a nest of hedgehogs has taken place.

Last night one of the dogs was barking like mad again and I noticed a hedgehog was on the terrace.
When I told the dog to back off he immediately took the hedgehog in his mouth, ran a few meters and dropped it on the grass. Naturally I shouted and closed him up inside.

I placed some water and some dry cat food in front of him (he remained closed up in a ball), later I noticed the cat food was gone but the water was untouched. I read on wikipedia they are lactose intolerant so I didnt give him milk.

What do you guys reckon I should do?

I'll go check out their nest in a moment - can't take pictures though considering someone else ran off with my camera.

Any tips?
