You'll be buying paper towels in bulk. Find your nearest Costco so you can have a readily available source at any time.

XBOX HEUG vet bills, food bills, hair the FUCK EVERYWHERE, in the back of your car, clogging your vacume, on your cloths (which you will have to change constantly becuase they will slobber on you), when a pug chews your furniture it is kinda cute, when a giant breed chews your furniture you hope he shits your sofa back out. My english mastiff ate my kitchen when she was 8 months old, literally ate it, and shit out fucking drawer pulls, can you afford new cabinetry in your rent house/apartment? (if apartment I know they work if you walk them, but still you only have 600sq feet, a giant breed IS your kitchen, or bathroom, or any room actually.)

I feed my 180lb mastiff 30lb bags of food that cost $40 each, she eats about 1 a week, for almost $200 a month in food. You can't skimp on giant food either.

As another anon said, eithe buy some cheap towels and sharpie "DOG" on them or buy paper towels in bulk.

Don't you fucking dare think about keeping a giant breed outside, all giants are so people orientated it is cruel to not let them be with you.

tl:dr: Don't get one, I know it's cool and you hate rat dogs and shit but if you have to seek approval and knowlege from us then you probably really should not own one. Classifieds and shelters are full of giants that used to be owned by people like you.
Also I know it makes your dick hard, but don't delude yourself into thinking that you are going to have a 300lb dog, if you get a boy he might hit 220, you are going to be paying for some top dollar genetics though.

Other than all that, its just another dog, but bigger, train him and socialize him well you will be so fucking sorry.

and im not seeking approval im just wondering what i would be getting my self into

plus i think of animals as i do humans. i'd give a dog to a shelter/pounds as i would a child to MJ or foster home. i'd sell an animal as much another human being. im getting one for companionship (and not that sick /b/ stuff either)

They eat a lot and are basically very very big lap dogs. Depending on the coat of your St. Bernard you will have to brush it daily and get it bathed and groomed often. They are the sweetest things ever and they do remember faces and people. They also require lots of room to run when they are outside. They are smart dogs but they will need training and they can be quite stubborn. They tend to have shorter life spans because of their size as well. If you can deal with all of that then you should be okay.
