Poor Bat Anonymous
Hello /an/. A couple of days ago I asked your help in catching a bat that got in my house. Though your advice wasn't useful, it was appreciated. Today, I found the bat in my bathroom all but dead. I took him outside, and did everything I could to get him to fly off. I brought him water, a bug, poked him with a leaf, shouted "YOU'RE FREE MR. BAT!, and so forth. Other then shaking his leg at my leaf, he doesn't move. I feel really bad. Is there anything I can do for him? Pic unrelated.

=( I'll write a song about him, and it will become an international #1 smash hit and all proceeds will go to a bat-care agency specifically designed to help bats found in peoples houses. It will go something like "Poor Judd is dead, poor Judd Fry is dead."

I'm sorry for your loss =(

Use your emotional scars to become a dark, costumed vigilante of the night.

Call vet, you dolt. Ask what to do if the bat won't move.

Oh good god I lol'd

But, yeah, seriously, take it to a vet.

Give him a peaceful death. An accurate, swift blow to the head should do.

Its Sunday. Vets, like most things, are closed. Like they would treat a bat anyways.

careful tho

bats can use accessories

Try to find a number of a wild-life rescue organization. Thy should be able to get you a vet.

I know a vet here in Germany that went out of his way to help, unsuccessfully, a bat that shared the same fate as yours.

Let him go, outside, and then fix however he's getting in.

SET HIM FREE

Mr. Bat was set free. I took him across the street. I hope he will be fine in the rain. Its not raining hard though.

Ok. Seems like there is more then one bat. Two of them were flying around in my bedroom. One has been killed. I am unsure of the other. I didn't want to do this /an/. I feel horrible, but I can't have a colony of bats in my house. Curse me if you wish, I deserve it.

I had a friend who touched a found bat, and she had to get rabies shots for several weeks. I thought you weren't supposed to touch them.

Um, every heard of this thing called a vet? They're pretty awesome. Or how about an animal hospital? Those are very helpful, too.
