There are some really cute ones in the Rockies too, those are the ones I always think about first. My MS mentor did a phylogenetic research study on them. Turns out two populations that are just across a valley from each other can become quite genetically distinct.

If any of you live in Western Washington, there are a ton of pikas on Mount Pilchuck, and the trail to the summit goes right through their main territory.
I went there last summer and I saw at least a half dozen and heard a bunch more.
