Eh... It's really not that big of a deal, honestly. This happens every year there's a hurricane. A state of emergency is issued (though usually after the storm), people are evacuated, shit is destroyed, people die. I think it's a good call for the emergency early than too late. Let people have time to get the hell out of there, and let the dumbfucks who want to stay behind die.
Either way, I don't really care. I mean, everytime it's Tornado season here, I don't hear bush calling a state of emergency when Tornadoes are likely to pop up at any given time, and do as much damage as hurricanes do. No, we just get decimated, then maybe a little help like.. weeks after it happens.
Basically, my point of view on the whole thing is, if you know theres a threat coming, get the fuck out or die. And with hurricanes, you know it's coming days in advance.
