The mighty bunny weighs a massive 7.7kg, and his ears are a lengthy 21cm - almost as long as most pet rabbits are tall. And he is almost 1m tall.

The German Giant is even big for his breed, which usually tip the scales at around 6kg.

Herman lives in a specially built solid oak hutch and chomps his way through just over 2kg of food a day. His owner says his favourite snack is lettuce.

Ok, so arguments for it being a rabbit include that it has a rabbit tail, rabbit feet, rabbit hindquarters and looks just like the Belgian Hare. Incidentally, rabbits get that big (pic related, retards). German Giant is proof. Fucking learn to Google.

Arguments for it being a dog boil down to the presence of rocks and a doormat. You ever think the snake might be someone's pet? And that, just maybe, people tend to feed their pets from time to time? And that odds are at least one of these people possesses a digital camera? Now stop trolling.

>Ok, so arguments for it being a rabbit include that it has a rabbit tail, rabbit feet, rabbit hindquarters and looks just like the Belgian Hare. Incidentally, rabbits get that big (pic related, retards). German Giant is proof. Fucking learn to Google.

1. It has a dog tail.
2. It has dog limbs.
3. It has dog size.
4. It has dog torso. Note the hare's torso is a lot more concave than that of the prey's.
4. The only rabbits that get that large are flemmish giants not belgian hares and the snake's prey's fur isn't fluffy enough.
5. You learn to Google, faggot.

>Arguments for it being a dog boil down to the presence of rocks and a doormat. You ever think the snake might be someone's pet? And that, just maybe, people tend to feed their pets from time to time? And that odds are at least one of these people possesses a digital camera? Now stop trolling.

It's not about the fact that it is someone's pet or not. The fact is the size scale. Dumbshit.

The people saying that snake is eating a hare have been torn to shreds by the above. Please gtfo the internet if you still insist it isn't a dog.

1) It has a rabbit tail. I've owned a rabbit. That's a rabbit tail. Large rabbit breeds have wide, fluffy tails the size of a person's hand. The top of the tail in this picture is up against the snake's body, turning the fluffy, cream colored underside towards the camera.
2) It has hare limbs. See>>160812
3) It has hare size. People are totally exaggerating the size in comparison to the mat. I owned a flemish giant and he would have been much, much larger than that.
4) It's being constricted, you dumb faggot.
5) See 3.
6) Learn to number your shit.

Has anyone of the people saying that the snake is eating a hare explained away the multiple websites that were pulled up from a google search for "snake eating a dog" with that same picture and caption while "snake eating a hare/rabbit" has not pulled up that picture once?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
1. Head of Prey is longer than the hare's head and there are no long ears visible. The size of the ears compared to the hare's head suggest that there would at least be some ear visible.

2. Front paws are different. The hare's paws slim down its entire front legs, but the prey in the picture has the bulbous look of a dog's paw.

3. Torso length is all wrong for the prey to be a hare. Also the abdomen isn't arched. Even constricted a hare wouldn't look like that.

4. Back legs do not have the same size of thigh comparison to the paw that the hare has. If that prey was a hare it would have had a serious deformity in its small back legs.

5. The tail is far too long to be a hare's. You can see in the hare picture that its tail is short and quickly tips off while in the snake picture the tail is thick and still going out of view of the picture.

tl:dr The snake is eating a dog.
>> Anonymous
>>161042
The picture for comparison you provided is of a Belgian hare. Despite the name, Belgian hares are actually rabbits. Which are very different from hares. So it's a failed comparison.
>> Anonymous
Could some rabbitfag please post a picture of a rabbit's forepaw in that position. Because until they can prove that's a typical rabbit's forepaw, it stands as best evindence for that thing being a dog.
>> Anonymous

You are mistaking the lion vs giraffe for the elephant vs lions posts.
>> Anonymous
>>161051
Rabbitfag here-- that's definitely still a rabbit paw, but I'm having trouble using my google-fu to use examples. so, instead, consider this:

Rabbits have no pawpads, so the undersides of their paws are almost always lighter colored fur than the rest of their body. Notice on the front paw laying on the ground under the other that you can see the bottom of its foot a little-- no pawpads. A dog of this color would have black pawpads. End discussion.
>> Anonymous
>>161057
are you retarded? there's pawpads there.
>> Anonymous
>>161058
I don't see any. Pawpads would be darker and more noticable.
>> Anonymous
>>161059
you've obviously never met a dog with pink/light pawpads and really furry feet then.
>> Anonymous
>>161060
As I said, dogs of that color don't have pink pawpads (unless they're a pharaoh hound or something, and thats definitely not a pharaoh hound). Hell, dogs of that exact color and pattern with a tail like that don't exist period. Why are you people so determined to make a rabbit in to a dog?
>> Anonymous
>>161062
Also, a dog with that length of fur on the body wouldn't have "really furry feet."

Huge groups of people can all be mistaken, as this ordeal shows. I work with dogs, I've seen tons of mutts, I own a red colored dog myself-- I have never, ever seen a dark red dog with light fur on the paws and light pawpads and a skinny hook-shaped tail with short, fluffy fur and a cream colored underside.

so if huge groups of people are wrong then where's the one group of people that are right? website or it's a dog, fag. stop trying to troll people into thinking it's a rabbit.
>> Anonymous

Which brings up an interesting point. In the original picture, where the hell are the "dog"'s nails? Only rabbit feet are that fluffy-- with otherwise short fur-- to cover up the nails like that.

Still looking for a rabbit paw in that exact position, but seriously people, they're the only animal I know of with fur texture like that on the paws, with light fur like that on the paws.
>> Anonymous
>>161042
The rabbit in that picture is in a show pose. When you see pet belgian hares, they don't have a back curve like that. Compare a normal pet labrador and a show labrador, for example. So, yeah, it still looks like a rabbit with that in consideration.

Thank you, intellegent poster. The feet are padless rabbit feet. If it had actually been a shorthaired dog the paw pads (reguardless of color) would stand out clearly, on the toes and the foot. See also>>161074. Or you could just look at the fucking tail again. Or the legs. Or any of the rabbit's other body parts.

As for the "ooh but the file name" argument, whoever named that file is mistaken, just as all you other assholes are. There's no proof in the file name.
