What the heck is this? Anonymous
I was at work today, and I went outside on break cause it was really nice out and there were a bunch of birds around something, so I went to check it out. I've never seen a moth/butterfly(I'm not sure which it is) like this before. Can you guys help identify it? It was almost 5 inches from wing tip to wing tip. I'm in the north east, a few miles out side of NYC.

And yes its dead, the birds killed it. :<

We used to raise these guys from pupae at camp and release them at the end of the summer.
