hey /an/ so i went to this place called "puppy palace" today, walked around and fell in love with each and every puppy there. strange thing was, i petting this shar pei they had just brought in, and its ears were extremely swollen. i dont even know if it was swollen, it was like its ears were packed with pus or something.. i don't know how to describe it. maybe like little pillows or something? i dont know.. ive heard of places like these getting puppies in from puppy mills.. but is that normal or what? i highly doubt it is.pic kind of related, its one of the shar peis i saw but not the one with the stuffy ears.
I have one of those places at my mallthese faggots come in, daww at dogs, then gtfocool shit
It is perfectly normal for puppy stores to sell diseased puppies, yes.
enjoy your puppymills. That's sad, i wouldn't know about the ear, maybe ask the staff there? I wouldn't buy from that place, they probably are all from puppy mills. Especially since its a place that sells JUST puppies.
if you ever buy a dog from a place like that (pet store; puppy mill supplied) i will fucking find you and end you.also, no surprise. these stores staff people who are all hurr durr puppies and dont know dick fuck all, and stock puppies from places where they are born in dirty unlit sheds (our neighbour was doing that very thing until he got reported).RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE
My friend "saved" a puppy from one of these places and managed to find out who the breeder was. It was some fucking old lady out in the country that had a pen built onto the side of her house with a bunch of rat terriers in it. No dog house, no shelter, no nothing, just a bunch of dogs in the mud. That's the kind of place (and much worse than this, too) that places get their dogs from.
As a general rule, never EVER buy puppies from a petstore. Go to your local animal shelter. Your puppy will not only be cheaper, but it will be healthier too.
>>316783Yes. Don't buy from pet stores. Don't rescue the poor animals from the horrible treatment in pet stores. Leave them to become even worse off until they die. Buy from breeders! Buy from where the pets are already happy and healthy and taken care of by people who know what they are doing!
>>316789It sucks, but those puppies are just going to be replaced by more if you buy them, and it will keep the awful puppy farms in business, if no-one brought pet shop dogs they wouldn't get them any more as they would be loosing money.I don't know why they don't just ban the sale of dogs/cats in stores. I'm not entirely sure if it is illegal in the UK, but pet stores don't sell them anyway.
wtf is a puppy mill?
>>316789That'd be nice, except that once you buy one puppymill puppy, it'll get replaced by another, and then you haven't done anything to help the situation. You can't buy all the sad, sick puppies in the world, I'm afraid.
>>316798Large scale dog breeders, basically. Several have been shut down in the US for animal cruelty.Just google it... you'll learn more than you ever wanted to know.
Dogs are dogs. You'll never be able to stop irresponsible breeders.I bet you guys use tons of products which involved putting humans under similar conditions.
>>316803Are you comparing buying Nike shoes with buying puppies from puppy mills?
>>316789Learn to Economics please. If they make money selling puppies in such a shitty way, they will breed more puppies faster and in even shittier conditions, to make even more moeny. Buying from a responsible breeder encourages responsible breeding. If people stopped buying from these shady places completely, they owuld go out of business and the dogs will wind up at a shelter or something, where people who know what they are doing can get them healthy and find them homes. Buying from a puppy mill to save the poor puppy is like buying all the crack dealers crack at full price so the kids in the neighborhood can't get any. The crack dealer will be back with twice as much crack next week.
