I hope they keep an eye on these two while their playing, the little cat is at a distinct disadvantage here, it could get hurt pretty easily by Fishing Cat.

Fishing Cat would not harm his mother.

Mother? So that's his surrogate mom, then? I see, is there a Bio on Fishing cat that's in English?

There is a Russian bio of him, and when it is run through the Google translator it becomes Caturday-speak.

The pictures in themselves are a bio. I don't speak a word of russian, but it's evident that there was another fishing cat that either died or was adopted by someone else, and that the cat is fishing cat's surrogate mum.

Its not his mother.
IIRC, there were 2 fishing cats, two brothers. Both were brought to russia and nursed by ardinary house cat. Then one moved to zoo, and the other to the appartment. By the time he moved he was still young, so that "tuxedo" cat used to be sort of fishing kitten older brother. Then time passed, fishing ca grew up, but still see the tuxedocat as an old buddy.
Its the same as if you have a grown cat and a puppy - when puppy will grow up to be a dog he wont chase that cat around, seeing him as a part of a pack.
Actualy, on somewhat unrelated note, the owner wrought that fishing cat feels more like a dog then a cat - its very heavy, it has dog-like psychology, and it makes noises that are wore doggish than cattish.

Well there are pictures of the kittens with different (black) cat, so that was probably his true "mother." On the other hand, Tuxedo Cat is fully grown in all the pics, while in some Fishing Cat is just a kitten.

It's hard to tell as Google doesn't do a very good job with the page.
