so... basically i have two winter whites russian hamsters and they mated. she's pregnant and almost there (nesting and titties are easily seen)

out of fear i've seperated the male from the female, but i've read that you can keep them together as the male helps the female.

the ratio of advise to separate versus keep them together is about 1:15 as some people say that the male eats the babys or the mother will eat them because of the stress induced by the male.

what should i do? i have two cages but i really want to keep them together.

serious advice is needed.

also, sorry for the grammar and spelling, english isn't my main language.

Watch them like a hawk, just don't eat them. If the male starts to fuck with the little ones, separate them.
I don't know if they spay/neuter hamster, but it would be a good idea if don't want a shitton of hamsters around.
Read about how they reproduce, as in how often, how many in a litter and such.

they reproduce like mad hams seriously

thankfully we can give the babies to a store close by.

my main concern is putting the male together with the female.
