Green Tea for Cats/dogs Tired Anon !EHsj4EGwIQ
Alright /an/, I'm wondering about the use of Green tea and supplementing it into your animal's diet. Would any owners do this for their pets, or do you consider it a waste of money and not worth looking into.

I know it has a shit load of health benefits for humans, but would it do the same for the cat/dog? It could just be health hype, but I drink it, and have been tossing around the idea of supplementing it in my cat's diet as well.

Any thoughts?

Green tea contains caffiene. I can't say I'd ever recommend giving it to cats or dogs for that reason.

Don't give it to your cat. Cats need meat. Only meat. They are, after all, carnivores, completely, unlike canines which can be classified as omnivorous. I do not recommend giving you cat any dry food that is made with anything but meat, so that means no green tea, no "hint of cranberry", no carrots, tomatoes, etc in your cats dry.

True, Green tea does contain Caffeine. So, then with all the health food brand dog foods, don't the producers of this stuff consider that caffeine is bad for your pet? Mmmm, seems like those Companies are simply making profit off of health freaks/vegans by marketing "We has Green Tea for your pets!"

As for my cats, all they get is meat. The veggitable substitutes seem to only upset their stomachs. But, what about those vitamin enhanced stuff for your pets? Same hype?
