So, /an/,

Tell me about Boxers. Your experiences, how trainable they are, how sociable, ect. Anything and everything you've got. I'm reading online sources, of course, but lets hear some personal tales.

My uncle has 3. They are very social and very playfull. Carefull though, they are very powerfull so they can end up hurting you by mistake when theyre playing. One of his tackled me once and i got the air knocked out of me for a few seconds and hurt my arm when she threw me to the floor. They like to jump up alot too. I love them, though. lol

I babysat some show boxers once. Very alert dogs. Would freak out at anything outside and pose all dramatic like. The female was very playful and loved to chase and be chased in the back yard.
I don't remember anything too exceptional about them. Just over all good dogs.

Thanks. I'd seen a few when I was younger, and they were the kind of dogs who would get so excited that their whole body would wiggle. Very bouncy, but sweet.

My family had boxers. If they were too energetic for their own good or just plain psychopathic due to abuse, they got better after gaining forty pounds. Grandpa fed then treats after they went outside (multiplied by Alzheimer's), and grandma made them scrambled eggs for breakfast. After a month of this, they just waddle around like seals and are very friendly. They still barked like crazy when the mailman accidently rang the doorbell, since nobody used the front door.

boxers are ridiculously energetic, but very sociable and trainable. they get better when older and don't bother people a lot, but of course regular exercise is mandatory. prone to cancer, though, so be ready for though times when they get old.

I had a standard poodle that would do that 'dramatic posing' shit. It looks hilarious.
