It's villainy because most people can't afford it. England is a bit silly about that, according to my English grandparents - they've gotten shit from people for owning their house outright. In America, hunting's relatively cheap. If you can afford a rifle and the license and have a buddy with some land in the country, you can hunt.

He left out the part where the dogs chase the fox to exhaustion and in the end rip it apart while it's still alive. That's why it's villainy. Not exactly the top-hat, mustache twirling villainy, but villainy nonetheless.

It ain't pretty. English hunting has always seemed silly to me, an American dove and deer hunter. There's no real sport in siccing dogs on a fox or getting dogs or servants to flush out thickets so you can shoot anything that comes out. Sure, we use lures and bait here in the same way a fisherman might, but when it comes down to it it's you, the gun/bow, and the prey. Except in those hunting lodges where rich folks pay 20 grand to pretend to hunt in a paddock and are guaranteed a trophy buck that's been selectively bred for its antlers.

I don't understand this very well either. I thought horses got injured on a regular basis during foxhunting?

>hunting being banned = no demand for horses = dead horses somehow
wat
Can't horses, y'know, live in the fucking wild?

I would find that highly unlikely in a place such as Britain. There isn't that much space left to roam.

Real men hunt buck-naked with a bow and a knife. Fuck your firearms. Guns are for killing people.

There's no horseback hunting in Finland whatsoever, but the number of horses has boomed in the last few years thanks to girls that want to learn to ride. Harness racing is also popular.

so a moose is the new horse as all spiders are the new brown recluse?

or is /an/ just that fucking retarded

The point of this message is if you ban hunting, there will be more signs as in protests will erupt. The fact that it's stuck in a dead horse is just coincidence.

Horses are a domestic species and have been for thousands of years. Only one breed of horse is left that hasn't been influenced by selective breeding. Most "wild" horses today are actually feral horses, as the standard definition of wild would mean it had no domesticated ancestors.

Actually, there are no surviving truly wild specimens of the species that became the domestic horse (Equus caballus). The only surviving wild horse is a separate species Equus ferus przewalskii, the Przewalski's horse. While it externally resembles the extinct wild horses of Europe, it is different enough from the domestic horse that it has a different number of chromosomes.
