Dude. The rabbit is for real.
It was on the news a couple of days ago.
The German who breeds these rabbits has already sold 10 of them to North-Korea for breeding.

-_-' The cats and rabbits arn't big.

The people holding them are just midgets >_>, making them look big.

Are those big-ass rabbits considered "house pets," as the OP intimates, or are they livestock?
>> Anonymous
Xcuse mee yous smart people.
I doubt it is a rabbit at all.
Ever seen a european hare?
They are up to 2 and a half foot long.
This is probably one of those weird cross breed experiments.
My dad used to breed belgian giant hares.
They were almost 2 feet long. I can imagine that someone cooked up an even larger breed.
But I can also imagine that someone played with photoshop.
So linx to the homepage of the breeder plx.

There are some insanely huge european breeds of them.

I live in Germany, and my husband claimed he once saw a wild rabbit the size of a small deer. I thought he was crazy.. things are starting to come into perspective.

rabbit=/= hare
anonymous =/= lagomorph expert
size =/= indicator of species (there are big rabbits and out in the desert there are small hares)
rabbits have altricial young hares have precocial young, thats how you tell them apart.

The photo isn't shopped, though it is taken at a particular angle that does make the hare look larger.

Yep. It's a common trick. A lot of hunters do this when they photograph themselves with their kills: You put the animal in the foreground with the person behind it a little bit. Then the photo is taken with the camera quite close to the animal. The perspective makes the animal look a lot bigger than it actually is.
