Anyone grow bonsai trees? I want to try but don't know where to start, they're so beautiful!

Get a book first.
Proper treating of those is an art.

Fake? I doubt it, looks very much like the good ol' japanese maple... They look really nice, but they really want to live outdoors. A good beginners bonsai is either benjamin ficus, or hemp.

My dad has been trying to grow bonsais for five years or so. The first five trees you try to grow will die, so it's best to get cheap ones from kmart of whereever.
And it takes like twenty years or daily care to know whether a particular tree will turn into a really beautiful bonsai. But if you're up to it, then go to the library and get a book or two.

Beautiful!

I have a regular green one, but if I can keep it alive for more than three years, I'ma buy a fancy expensive clipping and grow my own.
