can anyone ID this spider?
it was spinning a web outside my house at 11:00PM.

I only know that its an Australian Spider that's found in Perth.

definitely from the family Araneidae, aka orb weavers. many of them typically build a new web each day. they tear it down, probably eat what they can of it, and hide during daylight hours until it starts getting darker..then they build a new web.
