My Dog's eye's are swelling! Anonymous
My dog Toby's eyes are swelling... this started about an hour ago. Notice the reddening/browning around the eyes. Is it likely a bee sting?

I don't know, but because it's in both his eyes I would guess not.

Allergic reaction to some flowers or allergic reaction to bee sting?
He does get into flowers a lot sometimes.

OP here. I'm trying to find a picture of him without the swelling. I have one of him as a pup but not too recent.

Yeah it could be allergic, hopefully someone around here knows. Whether it's bees or flowers, I would scratch off flowers unless he has the opportunity to come into contact with a new type of flower recently, or it would have happened in the past.

OP Here. Here he is normal.

I'm gonna go to bed and wake up every hour or so to check on him. I actually can't drive right now as my left arm is in a sling from shoulder surgery and I shouldn't drive. My mom and brother have to wake up early at 6am and 8am as well. So vet is out of the question.

Has the dog had any penicillin from the vet? I had a dog that was allergic to it and did the same thing. IT looks most likely like it's some sort of allergy. Maybe a bee/wasp stung his face, maybe he stuck his face in some poison ivy or poison oak. I'd suggest taking him to the vet ASAP, or getting someone to.

Agreed. Watch him carefully, and if this hasn't calmed down by the time your family wake up (or gets worse in the mean time) then get to the vet.

If it's serious enough to go to the vet in the middle of the night, they shouldn't mind being woken up.

Thanks for your guys help. He's fine now. Now we know what to do if it ever happens again.

No, this is an allergic reaction to something. You need to get your dog treated ASAP! Waiting on an eye issue of ANY kind could result in blindness. Srsly - open up your damn purse strings and take your dog to the vet.
