actually...hognose are very picky eaters. They eat strictly toads and frogs. they can be trained to eat mice. But that takes alot of work unless you got it from someone/petstore.

If you found it in the wild, its best to let it go somewhere safe. Otherwise buying frogs every week will get expensive.

Looks like someone doesn't know that there is more than one species in the genus Heterodon. OP is talking about Western Hognoses, Heterodon nasicus. They'll generally take mice without issue and will thrive on the diet. They're really common in the captive reptile trade for a reason.

I provide you proof with an image of my little CB male eating a dead pinky.
