Help in IDing a Bug Anonymous
Found this dead laying near my house. Can't really identify it. Can anyone help?

Mole crickets compose family Gryllotalpidae, of thick-bodied insects about 3-5 cm (1-2 inches) long, with large beady eyes and shovel-like forelimbs highly developed for burrowing and swimming.

It's a Jerusalem cricket. Without a doubt.

Note the relative size of the head compared to the body; a mole cricket's body would be much longer. Also, the mole cricket has a 'hood' covering much of the head and thorax. Finally, the legs. Only the mole cricket's front legs look like all of the Jerusalem cricket's legs.

Though, the coloration on this particular specimen is quite interesting, in any case.

It's a Jerusalem Cricket. Most people can't tell the difference and call Jerusalem Crickets Mole Crickets anyhow, because they look so similar and share the same niche.

tldr; it's a Stenopelmatus. The most obvious giveaway is the head.
