Anything I could do about making an inside cat adapt to living outside?

Broke up with my gf, she can keep the cat indoors, I can't, so she'll most likely get to keep him. I'd take him but I figure he wouldn't know the first thing about living outside, and he'd probably get all tore up from my mom's cat too.

Pic related, it's my beloved Minicat.

Why can't you keep it indoors.

I can't think of anything more selfish than to take a cat who is comfortable indoors and force him to live outside just because you want him.

Indoors / outdoors debates are the worst threads on /an/. Name it biscuit.

Debate aside, it would be easier on the cat if it was to just stay indoors. Let your girlfriend keep it for the sake of the cat's well-being.

Selfish fuck. :|

I think it is always irresponsible to let a cat live outside. That is all I will say.

You may think that, but I swear, my cats are the cat equivalent of Houdini, and always somehow ended up being outside despite me trying my damnedest to keep them in, I finally gave up.

At least the largest natural predator where I live is a garden snake, so they're relatively safe.
