Kneel, and hold the cat up on it's back legs, positioned between your legs. Hold it by the head- their knecks won't snap within the 30 seconds this takes. With your hand curled around it's throat, force it's mouth open from the sides with your thumb and index finger. Push the syringe in there, almost to the back of the throat and squeeze it out. Quickly hold the cat's mouth tightly shut around the muzzle and top of the head and massage it's throat with the hand that previously held the syringe. It will have no choice but to swallow. I used this on my kittens when they were 9 weeks and refusing all but milk, mashed up some wet food and put it in a cake decorating syringe. Works fine as long as you can handle a few scratches.
