Wild (alpine) Strawberries Anonymous
So.. Who else is trying to grow berries in the home? I've got a couple sprouts of alpine strawberries started, which I hope make it into full fruit bearing plants.

Wild strabwerries are awesome, much tastier than regular ones. Shame they're so small.

most regular strawberries are bred for mass production and resistance against insects.
The older species are much more tastier.

Indeed.

I used to grow strawberries but they're low to the ground plants and the bugs would always get to them. I didn't want to put snail bait around them so I didn't get any.

I grew raspberries too. They're very hearty and easy to take care of. Plus there's plenty of fruit.
