:3 does the breed apply?

My Tabby is so sweet.

What is YOUR opinion?

Breed matters a little, but not that much. You can usually know what to expect more with a purebred than you can with a mixed one, but there's always exceptions. Personally, I don't see a reason at all to have a purebred cat in most situations. Besides aesthetics (like the way they look), you can get everything from a "regular" cat that you can from a purebred cat.

Also, my pound kitty is the best. :3

We were told at the shelter that most tortoiseshell cats are assholes that only like one person.

Four years later, our tortoiseshell is a total bitch to everyone but me.

Apparently gingers are really pissy too, and only male, but my kitty is a ginger girl that came from a litter full of female gingers.

You guys are talking about colors, not breeds. Wtf is wrong with you?

Aww. I got my kitty from a shelter-type place, too. I can't believe her owner'd give her up because she "was in the way all the time". Hmph.

And what you said was massively helpful--we're moving into a house with another cat besides our own, and I needed to check for the whole personality thing...

unfortunately, it's a ginger cat. XD; who to believe?

Nothing, Anonymous asked if breed mattered, and was answered as such in the very next comment. So now we are talking about how colours affect personalities. The OP's title of the thread is, indeed, "Cat Purr-sonalities."

We're still on topic.

turtoise shell cats tend to be female, gingers to be male. White cats with blue eyes are often deaf. Kind of interesting.
