Hey /an/. Quick question. One of my cats seems to be haveing mouth problems. It doesnt want to eat the food in its bowl (I changed the food recently) and it kinda looks like its in pain when it goes to eat. there also seems to be blood on its bottom lip. Are there any diseases or something I should research? Maybe it ate a bad bug? Or is it just being a picky bastard?

I noticed a while back that our mother cat was doing the same thing. Not so much blood on her mouth as there was saliva. I had to feed her seperately from the other ones since they'd steal her soft food.

Long story short I took her to the vet for an exam while everyone got their shots updated and he said she's got the cancer in her mouth. A tumor in her mouth. That will get bigger. And eventually she wont' be able to eat.

Take your cat to the vet. It could just be a tooth problem.

go to the vet and have your kitty looked at. Might be cancer....or it could be something as simple as really needing her teeth cleaned. infections tend to happen if they're not getting their teeth cleaned on a regular basis.

It could have gingivitis, which makes it painful to chew food and can cause ulcers in the mouth.

how expensive might it be if its just a tooth cleaning? I definitly cant afford getting cancer removed.... if its even possible.
