Due to college I'll be moving out of my hometown. Last year I adopted two kittens and raised them. My new apartments won't allow cat's and I have no way to keep them.

What's a good realistic solution? I don't want them to think I'm abandoning them. Will they adjust to a new owner quickly and eventually forget?

find a different apartment complex that will allow them

cats are like anon, they nevar forget and nevar forgive. They'll live happily with the new owners, but if they see you, your life will be in danger

After going through 12 places already this complex ended up being one of our only solutions... This is the only con about the place. :[

Wow, 12 places! That's soooo many! However did you do it??

Seriously, though, last time I moved to a different city (for the third time in six years), I literally went to over thirty complexes before I found one that met all of my criteria. Which included allowing my cat. Fuck you, stop being a whiny, lazy piece of shit, and find a different complex. It's not that hard, faggot, it just takes a little more time and work. God forbid.

Select the advanced search option under rentals, and down at the bottom of the list you can choose your pet preferences. Shouldn't be hard.

WTF, how difficult is it to hide a couple of cats?

pretty hard actually, cat's love to sit in windowsills especially if you tell them not to.

If they like you, they won't forget. If they hate you and you treated them like shit, they'll forget and be happy, just like it happened to our cat and it's first owner.

bring them in about a week after you move in, hide them well OR You dumb fuck why didnt you look for a place that allows pets?? You dont really care about them do you?? Or you would have looked for a proper home. Hope those counter tops and carpets are worth your companions

my cousin said when she had to give her cat away she asked her friends if they could keep the cat. so one of her friends keeps her cat and she visits when she can.

oh and she said when she first visited the cat was FUCKING PISSED at her cuz the cat thought she abandoned her. but after that the cat was okay.

Seriously, just sneak them in. It's not like they make a lot of noise and such and will tip off your neighbors.

This is exactly why you should take pets only if you are aware of the fact that you wil have to adjust your life so that you can take the best care of them.

But I don't really think that they'll suffer that much if you give them to a good home. For a while they'll miss you, but they'll adjust to the new owner.
