Having a puppy will make you feel way better than if you didn't have one, it's worth the trouble of cleaning up after them and training them, without a doubt. That being said, I don't really know your age or your situation, but argue that you'll take good care of it, and that they won't have to worry about it at all. Is it house trained already? Where would it stay? Are things you should consider first. Make sure you're ready for one, if you are, bring one home one day. Parents will shit bricks at first, but then grow to love it just like you do.
