Shit, guys.

My parents are away. I also had three days away from home. While I was gone, the water recycler in the pond clogged up and stopped so the water was now sitting still. A few days later I finally fucking noticed.

Five fish are dead, the rest are on the brink of death. They all slowly strangled to death. I kicked the pump and it coughed a bunch of shit into the water along with a fuck-ton of red worms, and it smells so fucking bad I'm scared I've just poisoned the last remaining survivors.

I figure bad smelling oxygenated water is better than clean, airless water, right?

God fucking damn it why does this always happen to me? Why doesn't this ever happen when Dad is here?

There's koi in there older than my teenage brother.

tl;dr

BAWWWW MY FISH ARE DEAD

Did your dad tell you to watch the fish?

That sucks hard, anon.

Can you net out some of the debris? If you end up doing a partial water change just make sure you've got water conditioners in there so you don't seal the survivors' fates.

Koi are only expensive if you get them big or get really top of the line shit from breeders. Young koi are like two bucks a fish. Just sucks that they lost the time invested.
