Steal then from a mother duck, and beat the mother to death in front of them. This will show the babies that you are their new master.

My friend lives in Florida right next to a lake and she took care of two ducklings, the mother duck died because she got run over by car. Anyways, She put them in a cage and feed then lettuce, bread and something else. After they got big she release them into lake and they learned how to swim and fly by themselves and then they become wild. So it all workout at the end, but I wouldn't do it because I think is illegal to take animals or something.

Really? Sorry, i get the two mixed up.

go to your local feed store, ask for them to order you some baby ducks. buy the food, when they arrive take them home and give them food.

they eat on their own and you dont even need a swimming pool for 'em.

I'd start them out on duck feed. though they will eat baby chick feed.

DO NOT GIVE BABY DUCKS BREAD. IT WILL EXPAND IN THEIR CROPS AND KILL THEM. Other than that, it's not nutritious at all and it's not good to get them used to eating people food.

For starters, buy more than one duck. If you don't, you will be Mama and it will NEVER LEAVE YOU THE FUCK ALONE. Those cute baby peeps turn into gigantic SHRIEKS whenever you move more than three or four feet away and it will never shut up. Enjoy having a smelly bird cage on your bed right next to your pillow until it's old enough to sleep outside. I found that putting in an old shirt that smelled like me in with my duck kept it from freaking out during the night. On the plus side, you'll never stop being Mama, so it'll always follow you around and stay social.

Keep your ducklings inside until they're fully feathered. Down doesn't protect them from the elements very well. If you have a heat lamp, they can stay in the garage / basement / chicken coop, but if you don't they HAVE to stay in the house with you. Dry hay and newspapers work well as bedding; don't put in any cloth that you don't want to throw away, because it WILL get soaked in shit.

continued

Feed them every 2 hours or so. Chicken feed + lettuce and tomatoes work well, as long as they're chopped into teensy bits and soggy. Don't get the medicated stuff. Keep their food in a shallow dish next to their water; ducklings like to mix 'em together and stand in the water. NEVER reuse the same food, only give them as much as they will eat in one sitting. Old food can make them sick. Remember that they don't have teeth and that they have a hard time breaking up their food. When they get bigger (4+ weeks), small bits of fish work really well as a treat.

Clean the cage every day. Ducks poop a LOT. They're not very good as inside pets, but if you really want to keep them around the house you'll need a diaper. http://www.bird-diaper.com/ makes good duck diapers.

Let them bathe after every meal... they make a huge mess. When they're really little (under a week old), don't let them be in water over their chest, 'cause they can't swim very well. Always make sure that they've got a smooth, flat surface they can climb onto if they get tired of swimming.

Be careful for neighborhood cats, wild birds, and other large predators that could hurt them ;_;

It depends on the species. My mallard was pretty small, but the pool was still too little for it. You want something they can actually swim in.

My friend keeps getting baby ducks from his canal. He'll usually keep one or two in a drawer.

They usually die.

When I was little though, we kept 4 ducks and 4 geese and kept them in a big wooden pen with fencing in our backyard. They reached full growth within a few months and we let them go into our lake.
