The problem with chihuahuas is that most of their owners are fucking retarded and buy them as a dress up doll or accessory. They don't bother to train or socialize them because 'OMG IT'S SO CUTE SHE JUST NIPPED AT YOU!'

I've never met a well-trained chihuahua in my life, and that's incredibly sad.

It really is unfortunate that most are like that. =(

Most are naturally like that though Very rarely does one like to be touched/approached by a second human when already being held
I've been wanting to ask - anyone have problems with getting their Chi to eat Mine used to eat well but one day he just became very picky and doesn't always eat when given food - it's difficult because if he doesn't eat he throws up (looks like bile) Doctor said it's OK... just looking for any advice

My chihuahua is SO evil. @_@ He always barks at you for nothing. But he's still a good dog. <:

Usually it's due to training. Chihuahuas were not bred to be guard dogs, so you can't tell me it's in their nature to be so aggressive. And look at how many great "guard" breeds there are out there. If you're consistent with training with a German Shepherd Dog, the chances are that it's going to be a well mannered dog.

Since little dogs like that are held constantly, they never really get any socialization, and when they do the dogs feel comforted by their owner's presence, so they never learn to be handled by other people. Also, since owners tend to think they are cute when they bark or nip as puppies, the dogs never learn any manners. When you try to correct the behavior later, it's usually too late for the dog to associate that its doing wrong.

So really, it's not the dog's fault that people instill the idea that it's okay for the dogs to be aggressive.
