Hey /an/, i've browsed a lot, but this is my first time posting. Anyway, i've had silverfish all through this summer and now seeing that it's fall i wanted to know if they would keep coming out.

I live in PA, and i've just gotten them this summer... don't know much about these pests. If possible could anyone list a good and cheap method to get rid of them?

It's quite odd really... i've only seen them on my cieling or walls close to it, might be some indication, also they only pop up in my room... never in the other areas of the house so i'm not so sure what's going on here.

Most efficient:
Keep the air humidity in affected rooms low.
Silverfish prefer a high humidity and temperatures between 20-30°C.

Also, Citrus + Lavender oil or a salmiac solution seem to scare them off.

Apart from these tips, I kinda like silverfish and think of them as interesting insects.

They arent really pests and rarely get to large enough numbers to do any damage. But I would recommend vinegar water on cracks
