First, before /an/rage, subject of this thread is currently at vet, but I won't know until I get a call later about what the problem is.I came home from work and one of my cockatiels is vomiting blood everywhere. She's been acting normal (not that it means much for a bird) and even as I took her out of the cage she still was very alert. It's really depressing to see a pet suddenly look so terrible, but she was trying her best to look healthy. The vet says it may just be something like millet stuck in the crop, but I'm paranoid. I did some reading and it doesn't seem to be a common symptom for anything - any avian addicts here have an idea what it could be? I'm anxious.
My cockatiel did the same before. He had swallowed one of his own feathers which got stuck in his throat.
