So my cat is munching away at some croissant crumbs, covered in marmalade. Is that good for her? Or more topically, what are common human foods that cats shouldn't touch? I seem to remember chocolate and regular cow milk being bad.

Onions & potato are the real baddies - they are poisonous to cats and dogs both. Tho some can have a little and seem ok - but why risk it? I think marmalade would be fine ;)

My cats won't touch anything that isn't meat.

lol, my cats steal eggshell, mushrooms, sultanas and corn cob (raw). Given a choice between a bowl of meat and a bowl of grass, they'll go the grass (something to do with

Domestic cats, especially indoor cats, crave vegetable matter from time to time. They don't need a lot of it, but they do need it sometimes.

Every cat I've ever had has had a taste for bread. Sometimes it's just for the butter. More often than not it's for the crust.

A lot of cats will eat popcorn or corn chips. Again, be careful to avoid potato chips and artificial flavors that may contain onion powder.

Both the cats I have now LOVE tomato sauce. Can't figure it out. The siamese mix (hero cat) has a taste for sweets, which is extremely uncommon in cats. She'll eat cotton candy.

Marmalade toast should be just fine. Avoid giving the cat TOO much.

Also consider giving your cat a little potted plant that it can eat, such as shamrock, lawn grass, or clover.

Also avoid giving them any cooked bones - the shatter and can choke the little mites.

My cat loves the nacho cheese doritos. If I get a bag and he sees them, he will not leave me alone until I give him one. He's like a mini human, he eats everything and if he doesn't like what you gave him, he crinkles his nose up. It's so cute.

My cats enjoy potato chips, cheese, alfredo and tomato sauce, ice cream.. eem they like a lot of things. I can't blame them for wanting human food, I'd be sick of eating the same shit everyday too.

my vet severely chastised me for giving my cat table scraps. he said that sometimes it can make cats refuse to eat their cat food, which has all the vitamins they needs.

but when i'm not looking, kitty will eat spaghetti, bread, kraft cheese, cold cuts, and durian ice cream (only durian flavor :3)

oh and when i cook chicken or beef, i give her a raw slice of it.

durian ice cream? You Asian? Heh, back home in the Philippines, all we fed our dogs and cats was table scraps, and they did just fine.

My cats go nuts if you even LOOK like you might have icecream...they will sit next to you and sometimes even come over and sniff the bowl before you are done eating it...I have to chase them off if I want to eat it in peace. Generally they snub chocolate flavored kinds, but if its even remotly vanilla they will lick the bowls if we let them. They will also beg at the table and one of them will bat at your arm till you give her a piece of whatever it is thats for dinner.

My cat can't compete with my sister's chihauhas for scraps, bowl licking, etc. They are fine sharing with each other, but if that cat gets too close while they are eating they snarl and yap and that scares off my souless vermin killing machine. I have to give him treats in my room, and they are cat treats, not table scraps.

Though I imagine rodent sashimi is quite good to him, even if he only eats the upper body, or in the case of wild hares just the brains (which is as entertaining to find as it is disturbing).

My cat loves to eat pepperoni pizza. If I am having some, I almost can not keep her away. She will try to eat it as I am taking a bite. She also likes crickets.

My brother's cat eats just about anything. Potato chips and bananas, for example.

my old cat was great to have around the house, as it would eat any bug that moved. funny when he ate a big spider, and he'd have twitching spider legs dangling from his mouth.

new cat just sorta sniffs the spider, pokes it, then walks away. bah
