First post here! Also, cockroaches... A.r. !!1J3JRobqN2a
Bout time I posted here! I'm well known on /m/ as a troll, and /po/ and /y/ as a regular. And I have two male hissing roaches (Hamlet is pictured left). Does anyone else keep roaches as pets/feeders/whatever? And what species do you keep? If I get other species, I'd be really interested in getting Giant Cave Roaches, or even better, Giant Australian Litter bugs. So keepers of those species are especially encouraged to share!

Here's Sid Vicious, who died in January. I think he was old.

one of these slept on my face in Vietnam, shame I was too asleep to be freaked out, my body reflexes picked it up and tossed it

New pic for you :) Hamlet and Laertes in their tank. The white spots on the sides are from misting and won't come off for some reason :(

Anyway I can get it off?

Hm, how to get it off without poisoning your pets?
Citrus-juice or vinegar might do the trick.
Or try a microfiber cleaning towel.

At my university, we keep a huge tank full of sowbugs for the first year lab. It's basically filled about 2/3rds the way up, half soil, half leaf litter. At last count, we had about 11 Death's head cockroaches in there. None of us know how they got there, and we assume a first year student put a couple in there a few years ago.
