hey, i have a question. I love cats and dogs but my boyfriend is allergic to all animals with fur. what kind of animal you can recommend for us? I want something more 'interactive' and cute than fish.

How are birds with him? Some birds are boring and( occasionally) annoying, but many birds are generally interesting and fun to play with, and I'm assuming that feathers are okay...

your boyfriend is a weak faggot.

Kill him so that he won't taint the gene pool with his weakness

Crocodile. That should be exciting.

Really? All animals with fur? So even say, animals that don't shed such as poodles are out?

yeah all animals. poodles too because eg. spittle of dog or cat can be an allergen too. and birds unfortunately too because of feathers...

Iguana? or some other lizard? How about frogs? or turtles? or axolotls?

i'm wondering if something like that (iguana etc.)will come to you like a cat, can you play with that somehow? or maybe it's just something you feed and clean it's feaces?

get a chinchilla!

they have fur, but no dander (what most ppl are allergic to)

Get a rock. You can train it to be a guard-rock (bash in intruder's heads by placing it above a doorway) or a therapy rock (they give great massages)

And, since you appear to have about the same amount of intelligence, you should get along great.

Birds and mammals are basically it as far as "compassionate" pets go. The rest are just sometimes interesting to watch, but not really cuddly. The closest you'll get to an affectionate lizard is probably a blue-tongued skink.

you have teh answer in your fucking picture.

There's lots of cute reptiles and amphibians out there, but they're not very interactive unless you consider it sitting on you and licking its eyeball interactive.

dump boyfriend, fuck cat, eat dog.

I'd recommend a bird, especially if he has a lot of free time on his hands. Blockatiels and p4r4k33ts make awesome pets, though they hate being alone. If that's the case, get another bird to keep it company. They're rather amusing to watch when socializing.

Hermit Crabs. When well tended, they have quite a long life (up to 20 years. Also, they can become very interactive with people, and some people even believe affectionate.

They just require proper care, which is not as simple as the pet stores tend to make out.

A pig doesn't shed, smell, or have fleas. I don't know of anybody that's allergic to pigs. Well, I suppose you could possibly have a food allergy, but that's hardly relevant.

If you're not squeamish about feeding them, snakes are wonderful. Ball pythons, corn snakes, false coral snakes and boa constrictors are very friendly and low-maintenance, just have to feed them every two weeks or so, clean out the tank/cage the same amount, and keep their water filled. Heat and ventilation are the only main concerns.

I love having snakes, they wrap around your neck for the warmth and it feels like their hugging you. They're inquisitive too, and when warm they're pretty active. Just make sure you get a large home for them, snakes do need some room, especially the constrictors.

Snakes are cool too. I have a corn snake myself. :D

Cool. I have two ball pythons, one's about 1 1/2 feet long and one's 5 feet long. I think the small one is a dwarf, though, it hasn't grown at all in 7 months, and they're in a large aquarium.

Love constrictor snakes, want to get a Burmese python so I can snuggle in its coils.

Also, don't count on iguanas being cuddly, OP. I've heard they're more likely to be nasty tail-whipping jerks. Also, they have very specific care requirements.

lol maybe true, but there's nothing like being wrapped up in a snake's embrace. As long as he's not squeezing too tight.

And yeah, most of the time iguanas are not very fraternizing. Though like with humans they have individual personalities, so you may find a friendly one.
