They're not sick, just stressed, poor things.

Feathers grow back. I'd happily adopt one.

It's not too far from where I live, either. I may have to make me a trip up there.

love birds believe it or not can be a very difficult bird to keep.

always keep them in pairs, keep there enclosures clean. and handling should be kept to maybe 5 mins a day, if you clip there wings you can allow them out of the cage if you have no other pets.

The best things though would be to have a really BIG cage for them. It's worth it, with a lifespan of 10 to 15 years you'll have those for a LONG time. A cage of at least 40x20x30 inches size will give them room to fly at least a little bit. Don't clip their wings, birds are made to fly. Birds with clipped wings tend to become depressive.
Rather have a room bird-safe and let them out several times a week for an hour or so. However much time you want to spend for that.
