It's a phase in a yougn cats life to start moving to more violent play, stay vigilent in disceplining her. Holding her tight maynot be the best idea to get your point across, bopping on the nose (not too hard, but not to soft) is a good idea, as is the tounge idea. I would hold her by her scruff above the ground (like over the side of the bed) when she does it. Make sure she has biting toys, too. A sharp "no" when she does it (that goes along with the hit) will help her understand both no and the seriousness of biting.
