I'm thinking about buying a chinchilla for a pet...Anyone have advice? Awesome pet : y/n?

They make great pets and their fur is really beautiful but i hear their high maintenance.

Chinchilla breeder here.
Chinchilla's are great pets I currently have 8.
I suggest buying one form a breeder in your area or a local pet store.

They need about 2 cubic feet of space and do very well in pairs or more.

They are just as easy to take care of as any other rodent.
Feed, water, treats, clean the cage once a week.
The only thing is they can't be in temperatures over 80 degrees.
