THey're like Scientology for pet lovers.

If they used the money they received for taking in unwanted animals to actually care for and adopt-out those animals, as intended, instead of immediately killing them, then how are they supposed to pay for the nonsensical billboards, magazine ads, and protests featuring nude models in cages that I jerk off to?

Did you *just* happen to watch that episode of Penn & Teller's Bullshit! ?

He could have been sent a link to the website. Or seen a billboard for the website.

PROTIP: Don't ever fuck with Colonel Sanders.

They also offer free spay/neuter clinics, and work to relocate and adopt animals in poor conditions.

Yes, they euthanize. So does the SPCA. I don't like it, most people in Peta don't like it. They could probably do more (the SPCA and other organizations probably could too), but instead of bitching about it you could try to help the situation by volunteering at an animal shelter. And, when looking for a pet, adopt before you buy!
>> Anonymous
You could just kill them yourself.

The SCPA doesn't pick-up healthy puppies and kittens, immediately euthanize them, and then use them as a tax write-off. In 2006 PETA adopted-out less than .5 of the animals they adopted- over 97% were euthanized. In 2005 PETA adopted-out less than 7% and killed nearly 90%. If you seriously think you can justify that shit by comparing it to the rates of valid rescue agencies, which receive a hell of a lot less in donations and funding, you're a fucking imbecile.

How many animal you kill to travel?
You kill with your car thousands of insects in the glass and other parts, you kill cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes, etc

Stop using vehicles

I've never hit anything bigger than a cicada. Even the bugs are really rare. Stop driving like a moron.

obv it's cause the animals are better off dead than living a life of humiliation as pets!

>>240857
so you give value to life by size? It's better to kill a baby than a cow?

You aren't making any sense. I have a feeling you are arguing with someone that is agreeing with you...

Which one do you think is going to do the most damage to your ride?
>> Anonymous
>>240868
No I'm saying slow the fuck down. Many animals dashed in front of my car, but I haven't been traveling at the lightspeed you'd need to hit one. Even on the highway I manage to avoid them. Though one time one did get close. I avoided it, but in my rear view mirror I saw it get whacked by a car behind me.

I hit a badger once. it came running across the highway. I've spotted him early so I slow down a bit, giving him ample time to get out of the way, and he does reach the side of the road without problem. All is well and good, I proceed to accelerate again, when the fucker suddenly does a 180 and runs back into my lane! his head makes a loud *bonk* when it hits the undercarriage of the bus. badgers are stupid.

Newsflash, bithes: Animals kills animals. they eat each other and there's not a thing you can do to stop it.

I don't see how that's relevant to the topic of this thread.

Maybe PETA could start selling ethical fur, made of the skins of the animals they've euthanized.

Obviously suicidal. Those animals don't count.

I don't think we've ever even hit a bug. Never seen anything splattered on the windscreen, anyway. As for animals, my mum once hit a bird that flew in front of the car, but that's all. And we used to travel quite a lot.

It's relevent. It's pointing out that humans aren't the only animals that kill other animals.

That's right. I called humans animals too.

Other animals don't factory farm.

Just like they label the organic beef, they should mark it if the electrocution doesn't work the first time, because I would pay extra for it. Suffering is delicious.

What about ants and aphids/mealybugs? Ants keep them to produce food and protect them from predators.

We keep many animals to produce food, we protect them from predators and many diseases, we give them water, food and protection.
The life of those animals would be much more harsh in the wild (hungry, thirst, cold/hot, predators, diseases...) we don't indiscriminately kill them that would be stupid.

We as humans have a good life in the civilization and forget that for the animals the life is harsh and in the most of the times short, they don't have supermarkets, they don't have vacines nor artificial protection from predators.
Most of the time they die before reach puberty.

Try to live in the middle of a florest filled with predators and parasites without technology, agriculture, weapons, farms, tools, markets, doctors. That's the life of the wild animals, they have parasites eating them from inside, predators ambushing, low food, you can't take a day sick, if you rest you die, you will have children by dozens but only 4 or 5 will survive to adulthood, all the others will die from diseases, killed by predators, or any other causes.

Life for us is easy because we have a civilization and technology, wild animals don't.
