depends on the size of your land and what you want the trees for OP.
Most broad leaf trees will take a long time to grow, but you can get many pines and conifers that grow faster, odds on your best bet would be corsican pines.
They grow fairly fast and straight, after 12 years you should have a nice woodland to enjoy or enough wood to cut down for a slight profit if you are looking for a bit of cash.
However, for the ammount of money you get out the the wood after 12 years you would have been better off putting the cash in a savings account unless you have a huge amount of land to play with and can fell the wood in mozaics (this is better for the wildlife than clearfelling too).
