They are wild,some people have them as pets.

oh... in that case, if they are tame (nice friendly) then they are probably someone's pets.
You might want to... pout an ad in the paper or something... But it's not like lorikeets have any special features to distinguish them from one another... so... Read up on them... And... If you like keep it as a pet! But take it to the vet and stuff first.

These birds are wild,they are friendly but not totally tame.There are thousands of these birds on the northern beaches of Sydney.They are protected under the wildlife act and keeping one as a pet is really not legal.

used to live up in Berowra, we had lots of these birds and king parrots as well.
