That is common misconception, silverfish are in fact dolphin larvae.
Once the dolphin lays his egg in coastal area, or implants it's eggs in a human, the real reason that dolphin are always close to humans and "rescue them", the small larvae leave the water and spend upwards of three years in a cave (read house) before venturing back to the sea and transforming into a full grown dolphin.
