THIS.

Same goes for any type of hunting.

I'd be willing to accept hunting for sport as long as it's limited to invading alien species, such as rabbits, foxes and cats in Australia.

i think that if a guy is going to go out and hunt it should be hard for him. pointing and shooting is far too easy. the hunter should have to use his bare hands to rip and tear the flesh of the animal he's killing. only then can he truely understand what he is doing to the poor animal

lol thats funny...the deer are smart enough that they hide during hunting season and if you follow the laws then you can usually only get one maybe two a year per family
>> Anonymous
>>196119
oh and thats with three people hunting and about eight hours a day of sitting waiting

Not unless you live on a reservation and go shining.

I agree for humor.
But if I was to ever hunt it would be with a bow. Seriously.

Well, there is this bit where they didn't tell you about bow hunting - Arrow wounds are usually a bit on the small side to be instantly fatal, and you will have to either chase/run away from a bleeding and possibly angry animal for up to 30 minutes before it carks it.

If you ever do it, good luck, Anon. And may you have a good pair of runners.

That's the point. It's actual hunting, like it should be.

lol, deer
>> Anonymous
I love those hunting parks where you pay the owners to release "wild" animals into the woods.
>> Anonymous
I'd only hunt a deer if that were my only closest food source and forced to live directly off the lands. Hunting for sport is no...just no.
>> Anonymous
It's more humane than buying meat from a store.
The deer may suffer in its final moments, but that's nothing compared to what chickens/cows/pigs go through for their whole miserable lives.

fucking qft

>>196389
obviously you haven't used the right bow, correct grain broad head and draw on the bow the arrow will pass clean through the deer, and they have a kill zone the size of a beagle
>> Anonymous
>>196529

Most bullets will pass clean through a human too. Unless it's a head or a heart shot, you get an aggro human in pain. That's why you have explosive bullets, ceramic caps filled with needles, and all sorts of other interesting stuffs that subject humans to so much pain they can't even crawl away.

Hunting bullets have lead fillings that expand up to 3 times in diameter: you will NEVER get arrowheads that big. even if you were lucky enough to shoot them lower in the guts to stop them moving, you must be retarded to think that you did an instakill.

shit sucks that the stores around here don't sell deer meat.

and yet, we have over populated deer.
>> Anonymous
I'd rather not sit and freeze my ass off in the woods, then have to dress the damn thing, but I'll gladly eat some that somebody else gives me because their deep freezer isn't big enough.
>> Anonymous
Deer hunting ftw. For food only and with a bow for me.

And in the off-season, you can train your archery skills on the feral cats that run around most rural areas and cause shit.
>> Anonymous
any hunting is exceptible. The deer population needs to be controlled to reduce the number of people who get in accidents involving deer. An who cares about how much it hurts for bambi? wolves and pumba kill deer all the time.
>> Anonymous
lol at the people who don't know why hunting is needed. You see, you really have two choices. People can hunt or you have to watch your kids every single time they're outside so a wolf doesn't drag them off. Because the alternative to hunting is natural predators of which in areas with deer there are none. You need hunting to keep the deer population in check, without it lots more cars would be destroyed by deer and lots more deer would end up with that carrion disease and other such terrible things.

Hunters make up the largest portion of the worlds conservationists. Deer hunters provide money to upkeep parks and other such areas from paying for their hunting permits. For that matter, prey populations need to be kept in check to prevent a later occuring wipeout. When an animal population increases too much, their food supply dies and the animal population is reduced to a scant number just for species survival. For anyone who is opposed to hunting, go back to environmental biology, you fucks.

Age for hunting feral cats.

Real men hunt angry wild hogs. With a spear.

ITT idiots thinking they've got high morals.
Hunting is necessary. It prevents overpopulation and car accidents in some countries. See kangaroos for example.
Also the claimed division between hunting "for food" and "for sport" is retarded. It's like saying sport hunters lock up the corpse in a safe so no one gets to eat it, ever.

So do nuclear missiles. Point??

Yes hunters are all sport hunters, Nobody hunts to feed the family anymore. Not in America, and most of the first world at least.

Deer hunters are sport hunters who do it for fun, many of them enjoy the taste of venison as well, and they will eat what they kill and distribute what they can't eat to friends and family.

As for bow hunting... it really doesn't make you any more of a man. It just a different way of killing. I would prefer a high powered rifle anyway. There is less chance the animal will suffer.

Its not like were talking about an animal with a natural predatory instinct. The thrill of hunting them isn't in the danger of it.

Just look at how ridiculous this deer looks:

He is a noob at fighting.
