Dearest /an/,

What the fuck is this thing? I saw it in my bathroom the other day and I've never seen one before. It was silver and had long antenna thingys at the front and possibly back end, can't really remember. I don't think it's a millipede or centipede, as the ones i've seen in my house are different. Enclosed is a life-like artists rendering. Thank you.

how big was it?

Silverfish maybe?
>> Anonymous
It was about an inch long not counting the antenna, about the size in the image. Looks like it was a silverfish, but I think it was a little thinner.

Thaaat's the one. Hm, maybe I need an exorcist instead of an exterminator...or check the radiation levels around my house.

It's a centipede.

What the fuck?!

It's a silverfish. No question about it. They like to live in moist conditions...hence your bathroom. They feed off drywall, and other starchy things. They're also fucking fast. You may sometimes find one stuck in your bathtub.

Why do I know all this? Because they're fucking invading my bathroom as well.

Yeah, Silverfish loev to raid bathrooms. It's your best bet.

Silverfish are just as annoying as roaches. Just kill it.

Move out. Burn the house down. Kill anyone who gets in your way.

Same here. I hate them..also, aren't they known for making damage on clothes etc?
I'm starting to suspect that the silverfish in my bathroom made the holes that are on my clothes. Can they climb up walls etc?
My laundry basket used to be there. Plastic one but the holes or whatever were further up.

I also saw one a few days ago in the bathroom.

It was really small. Like 6 millimeters. But it was really fast... ew.

Yes, I have seen some go up walls.

Goddamnit D:
It's probably the silverfish then. The holes are exactly the same, on different materials.

I think I wanna go save my bathrobe now..I don't want one or more crawling around.

House Centipedes OP. They suck and are very similar to Silver Fish in their habitats.

Why do they suck? Centipedes eat all sorta other vertebrates and are beautiful, thus having similar qualities to spiders.

I would've paid money to get my hands on these bastards while I was doing my bug project for my biology class in highschool.

Because the feeling of something with that many legs crawling all over you while unawares is highly unsettling.

They were one of many pests that invested the house I used to live in. Bats being the other during the warmer months.
>> Anonymous
I hate it when bugs own a share of my house too, one time, investation is the worst.

House centipede's are actually good to have around the house! They eat EVERYTHING! Ants, spiders, silverfish, ANYTHING.

They're creepy as hell, but try to not kill them, as having them in your place means that they found a shit load of other bugs to feast on.

I hate them. I won't lie. BUT, as long as they stay away from me and don't go on my bed, I'll let them live.
>> Anonymous
I let the spiders in my house live. I freak over anything else.

You know they crawl on your bed. You're just in denial. Spiders do it, so no reason why those things wouldn't either.

It is called a "silverfish" and they are a pest animal, not dangerous but annoying.

Heard that they can crawl into your skin? Might be relevant to your interests.

Silverfish or not, they can climb up walls onto the ceiling and are brown sometimes. Try turning on the lights suddenly at 3am in kitchen, bathroom or anywhere with side paneling.
