Can snake really hypnotize animals?
I have a cornsnake that's been fed live rodents since it was hatched. whoever before it strikes and kills a mouse he always stare at them, and the mouse stares back and moves with the snake's head, is this hypnotism?

they do, they sway slightly to mesmerise the prey into a calmer state, then strike unexpectantly.

Rodents have bad eye sight and wobble slightly side-to-side to see better when they are frightened. They don't have vision far enough to be "hypnotized."
