Hi /an/!

me and my bf are going to move in our own home, so i have a few quoestions about the pets.

i have a dog, a female poodle. we're thinking about taking another dog, maybe something like husky, but propably a crossbreed, beacause of the money. so what would be the best place them to meet at the first time?

and then, my bf wants a cat. it's going to be a female. any breeds which don't throw masses of hair everywhere? the hairless(Sphynx?) is not an option. i know that they throw hair usually only when they're scared but anyway.

and how am i going to get my dog to be okay with the cat?

sorry the bad language, im not english.

btw that's my dog in the pic.

Have both of your pets meet somewhere unfamiliar with both of them. That way the "new" pet isn't infringing on the "old" one's territory. A nice park or a friend's house should do the trick.

As far as short haired cat breeds...ALL cats will shed, but with weekly brushing it shouldn't be a problem. I personally like slicker brushes because they remove dead hair from the undercoat. (and my kitty LOVES to be brushed with it!)
As far as cat breeds...Bengal cats and Abbysinians both have very short hair. (though Bengals can be temperamental..mine is!)
