I have a female adult Boston terrier, she is about 7 years old

as of the last couple of days I've noticed some strange symptoms that I have never seen her exhibit before I just wondered if anyone here was knowledgeable enough to tell me if something is wrong

1st off she wont jump up on things, she is usually very agile and quick, but she wont even jump up to a small bed. and when she is let outside she will jump and land so all her weight is on her front legs.

secondly she is dragging her butt on the floor in what I think my be an attempt to scratch herself. though I could be wrong. She seems to be having some problems with the area down there.

I think I might be over reacting but this behavior is very strange. I might just take her to a vet anyway but I was wondering.

OP said the dog will be taken to a vet.

Is she de-sexed? If not, she -may- have an infected uterus. Arthritis is commomn in older dogs and may be eased naturally, without drugs.

97011 here.
Also, have her eating, drinking and toilet habits changed? Is her stool different? Does she get wormed and vaccinated? Did she eat something bad perhaps?
I understand your feelings about vets and could write a book on my bad, and -sometimes- good experiences, so you should ask people around you for advice on a good vet and keep your "bullshit detector" on at all times.

indeed. take her to a vet and have them do it, you'll never get the smell out of your house if you do it yourself.

that, and it's fucking nasty to squeeze smell poo juice out of your dogs anus.

"She seems to be having some problems with the area down there."

I choked when I saw that. Apparently we are all four years old and too young to use the word anus, rectum, butthole, pooper, etc.

Well, it might be rude to use the term "pooper" or "asshole". But since when is it rude to say anus or rectum? These are not curse words, they are medical terms for parts of the body.
