Guys, how does one sterilize (not as in making them infertile, as in making them free of germs. ) flies? I have a plan involving an Anonymous fed up with PETA's bullshit, a fairly well-known PETA representative, media attention and some gauze with sterilized flesh-boring fly eggs. Since certain myiatic flies don't harm anything but humans (and not really even causing damage or pain at that) , mating and dying quickly in adult form, presenting a PETA representative with a gauze with fly eggs will either make the PETAdin fall or have him feed flies with his flesh.

How viable is the plan? Is anyone up for it? Which species should be used?

this plan is incredibly viable

PETA is an eco-terrorist group, enjoy being burned alive in an animal testing lab

Flies are more or less sterile after you breed a few generations in captivity, with no access to anything filthy.

Keep in mind human botflies lay their eggs on a different species of live fl, that then lands on a person and drops the eggs.

I'm curious about that picture. Please explain

Except bacteria grow on everything. Sterile flies are irradiated.

Botfly laid egg beneath unfortunate person's eyelid. Egg hatched. Larva was then removed.
