Ants are cold blodded. Crank the sauna up and bake the fuckers.

Poor sod. Ants are reeaally hard to get rid of. Besides, as the ants probably are mostly on floor level, heating up the sauna won't help much. It doesn't get that warm that low.
You should try a jam-trap. Leave something sweet like an almost empty jar of jam on the floor there and sprinkle the floor around it heavily with a slow poison specifically for ants. They go for the jam, get the poison on their feet, return to the nest, spread the poison there, etc. And because ants leave scent marks you can expect a shitload of ants in there for the next few days. If the trick works you should see the end of that in about a week.

I hate them too! They have invaded my kitchen, bedroom, toilet and sauna too! Goddamn little bastards. I'm almost reado to burn my house to get rid of them. Just bouth some ant baits to get rid of at least some of them.

Everyday I wage war on the ants in my bedroom, I even put up a little sign for them saying "All enemy forces spotted will be engaged and eliminated immediatly", but I don't think they are too scared :(

I prefer having ants in my house - I have the cute tiny black ones - they swarm and kill off the cockroaches, and they even cart them awawy! ^^

I, for one, welcome our new alien overloards.

find out where they're coming from, and caulk it up. It worked for me.

You have won many an internet on this day, good sir.

If they're the small farmer ants, mix borax and sugar to kill them off. It's effective, and non-toxic to your pets, doesn't stain, cheap, etc. If they're carpenter ants, uhh...dunno. I remember my parents RAIDing them years ago.

oh dur, don't forget to add water to the borax and sugar. It makes it easier for them to pick up.

won't they leave if you heat it up?

I'm leaving this dorm room in a few days, but I did occasionally have an ant problem. I usually just watched them to find what they were going after. If I removed that, they would leave, supposivly going elsewhere (not my room).

If that didn't work, I just killed the trail on top of removing their objective. That always did it.
