If you want a friendly pet, dont get a snake.

Ball Python, best bet to go with a young, handled and sociable Ball. They would rather hide under their girth than bite you. I know, I have one, and he's awesome. Red Tail boas can be good if you handle them on a regular basis.

Pic is me in the background, my niece and aunt holding my pair of Ball pythons.

As for other pythons and boas, don't get the more exotic of the species, since it's a lot more expensive to take care of, say, and emerald tree python than a Ball. There's very specific requirements for those of the more exotic loop.

Anywho, Ball python, definitely, but buy your setup (cage and all) first, and read up on them.

I agree ball pythons and red tailed boas, I had one of each, both male. Best pets ever, the ball for sure. He's a sweety, had him a year and a half from 6 months old. He lets me touch his nose which is rare and him and my cat get along. Snakes are nicer than alot of common house pets. your family dog is more likely to bite you than your snake

nice niece, fap fap fap

anyway, get a corn snake or ball python or kingsnake

snakes aren't very good pets unless you enjoy watching them eat.

lol plus a green tree python will likely completely ruin your happy fun pet bonding time if he bites you. but yes op, id go with a ball python. its one of the lamest sissy docile snakes ive ever seen. its usualy everyones first snake.

corn snake. cute and easy to care for. Also, not hueg. also, no snake is friendly. they only like you because you're 3 things: a change of pace, a source of food, and a source of heat. they don't love you, but they like you and rely on you for selfish reasons. If you don't mind, be happy. I love my snake. she can't love me back, but she is fine with me, and has a good life, and that's all that I need.
