My 5 year old dog is starting to become aggressive. It has never bitten anyone before but it snapped at a friend of mine, I was wondering what can I do to stop her from being to mean.

Get a vet to check if she's going blind and/or deaf and/or anosmic.

what kind of dog is that? it looks a lot like my parents dog, only theirs is a mixture of black, gray, and white.

SHE SNAPPED AT SOMEONE ONCE

THIS MEANS SHE'LL DO IT AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE FROM THEN ON!

Don't subject her to your annoying wanker friends and she'll be less bitter. Even dogs have a limit to the stupidity they'll put up with.
>> bitt?rs
maybe its angry because it is so ugly

Maybe your friend was being annoying... I am hesitant to believe a dog is dangerously aggressive without more than a single incident which didn't even involve actual biting...

Yeah, what was the situation apart from "It snapped at someone"?

What are the contexts in which it becomes agressive? Nobody can help you with a single instance of "It snapped at my friend". Give some more examples.

Does it growl and bark every time somebody comes through the door? What about if somebody tries to sit on the couch? Or is it something that only happens when you're taking it for a walk?

Give some more examples - the more specific the better - and maybe you could get some help.
