Okay, /an/. There's this woodpecker that's been hanging out outside my window for at least two weeks now. He flies up, makes some scratching noises, then flies off. I can't really see what he's doing because he's on the side of the house. But I want to know what the fuck it's doing there. Our house has the usual metal siding stuff on the side, so obviously it's not trying to get through to make a nest or get food. At least, I'm assuming that birds aren't stupid enough to keep coming back pretty much daily for TWO WEEKS thinking they can peck through metal.I did notice some small gaps in the metal siding around the window, in the area where I've seen the bird. Also, the last time I saw the bird, it had something in its beak--it looked sort of like a piece of Cap'n Crunch, only longer and a little bigger. Maybe it's trying to put something in those little holes? I have no idea.SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON
He is mistaking your house for one of his young and tries to feed it.
