Gerard Daigle, 80, lost a pint of blood and required stitches after his cat Touti, a diminutive roughly meaning Tiny, launched a frenzied attack. Daigle, who was giving his pet parrot a shower, inadvertently sprayed the cat with water. Reuters reports that the cat has since been euthanized and had had a troubled past.

I think we're missing the real question here: WHY THE FUCK WAS HE GIVING A PARROT A SHOWER?!
>> Anonymous
recently there was a pit pull puppy destroyed because it chewed on the toe's of some kid who couldn't feel his legs.
if i'm not mistaken. read it on Rotten.

Eh, parrots like to wash up every now and then. Particularly the hot parts of the year, it's nice for cooling off; not many parts on a parrot where they can get rid of excess heat.

Plus most of 'em are very very social creatures and if there's no birds of the same species, or a species they can get along with, they'll bond with people. Thus they'll enjoy showering with their owners.

I read something similar a while back, but it had to do with a child who couldn't feel his hands. He had just eaten chicken wings or something (he could use his hands, just not feel them) but forgot to wash. At night, the pit bull came in and chewed his fingers off.

QFT. I had a cockatiel that absolutely loved sitting in the shower. It would do this odd happy dance under the water, then jump out of the shower and cuddle up in a towel until I was done.

Why didn't they "euthanize" (what an euphemism for murder) that worthless old fogey instead? Fucking fags. An animal bites and he gets murdered ("euthanized"); a person kills and he usually gets away with it, or at best gets a few years in a free 1* hotel.

It's the fucked up thing they do with dogs that hurt people. I suppose with those, it's sometimes a reasonable thing to do, but I seriously don't see a housecat having an actively people-hostile attitude, not enough to be put down over.

Overreaction. That's the word I was looking for. (Besides, the parrot would be verrrry ronery if the old fogey died...)

Sometimes they do it against the owner's wishes, so I wouldn't blame the old guy for him being put down. Like that woman that needed a face transplant after her dog bit her face to wake her up when she had supposedly overdosed on sleeping pills. She didn't want her dog to be put down but they did it anyway.

Yeah, that dog probably saved her life.

It ended up being pet ferret that did it. There was no way the puppy would have done that anyway.

Obviously once an animal tastes human flesh, it develops an insatiable desire to feast upon the succulent flesh of babies and all of humankind. Our Governments have long since discovered this fact and have moved to stop all pets from ever biting their overlords using the threat of death via needle. Sadly, most animals still don't understand that the needles are related to biting people.
