I am actually having disciplinary issues with one of my cats, and traditional methods have only turned scratching our rug into a game. First it was the water bottle, he learned to watch for it, now whenever I make a sudden hand motion while he's doing the naughty deed he bolts, hides behind the chase lounge, and l looks at me all googly eyed. Next, I tried flicking his ear, but he's only gotten quicker and more devious. He ignores the scent of citrus, and he likes divebombing our other cat until he yowls and hisses, which is problematic because the other one never does anything wrong and responded to discipline perfectly.
Cats have personalities, very distinct ones, and I am struggling to deal with Dense Cat #1.
