Turtles: Nature's cutest reptiles.

What say you, /an/?

False. Hatchling monitors are much, much more adorable.

Turtles come in at a close second, though.

While we're sort of on the subject, i've been trying to decide between buying a russian tortoise, or a couple of anoles (brown or green probably). Any suggestions? I've never had reptiles befoar, but i think a tortoise would be cooler because i could actually pick it up and stuff without worrying about it running off and getting raped by my cats.

Russian Tortises ftw.

They don't get very big, can be housed outdoors for most of the year {all is you live in coastal SC like I do}

Anoles CANNOT be handled. They internalize stress and eventually die from it. They're more of a short-lived display animal.

Russian torts are a commitment. A very, very long-lived one.

This man is proudly representing my home state. I'd like to think that his hair is short under that hat.

If I didn't know any better I'd say that that looks like the Baton Rouge zoo.
