>>243100 I don't see where Barksalot claimed the vacciene caused the death. > I suspect though that she was just hit by a car. Maybe she felt ill after the shot, because a vaccine can be very stressful on the body and her judgment was therefore off. Also, the fact that she recently had kittens did not help - the vet should have waited until they were fully weaned and she gained some weight.
Is very very correct. Many animals are allergic to vaccines, though most just feel a bit queasy. Many humans also get fevers or have other symptoms after very simple and common vaccinations. My fellow tripfaggot( and faggotess) are right: animals need better vaccines, and we need stricter guidelines on when they should be given. The vet should not have given your cat vaccinations while nursing, because it can seriously mess up the kittens future vaccinations (example IIRC, parvo shots given to nursing moms can make parvo shots given to pups ineffective).
After a day, however, it is unlikely that her symptoms would have persisted. If she was still affected by the shots, she should have been listless, running as fever, and probably would not have wanted to go wandering off. If that were the case, then you should have brought her to the vet.
It is much much more likely that she was crossing the street and got hit, or that something else happened. Human beings are capable of doing some terrible things.
Condolences on your cat, but at least you have little clones of her running around. Take good care of them.
