iluminate a plant 24 hours everyday would harm it?
Would it make it grow faster?

It wouldn't harm it, but you would need 2x the ressources it uses normally.

yes it will if you remember bio 101

depends completely on the plant. Just like animals, different things would work differently for different plants. Some would burn up and die. Some would grow faster. Depends.

The krebs cycle does not have to be done in the dark. It's just called the dark cycle because it doesn't require light.

OP here

What I found is that too many hours of day light would prevent many plants to ever reaching the flowering and fruiting stage but would stimulate profuse growing.

some plants could be harmed, some won't, depends on the species

also: light is important to induce flowering, some plants need a certain time without light or they won't flower at all

other than that: we keep some plants under constant light, so they'll grow faster. Therefor it doesn't take 2 months for them to grow to full size but half the time.
