Bengal Cat Anonymous
(what with it being Caturday and all...)

Does anyone have any experience with/knowledge of this breed? I'll be moving to a new apartment soon, hopefully one that is pet-friendly. I know they're rather expensive, but I wondered if anyone here had any input.

bengals = part wild. will have wild tendancies, such as spraying on your shit, eating your furniture, getting bored easily and destroying your things.
Also, most common disease for them is projectile diarrhea.

Hyper active when young, they like to climb high places, they like to play in water, *not* good with children, and you must cat proof your house. Mine has destroyed shelves, coatrack (three of them), various nick-naks on said shelves, and is not very cuddly.
Do a lot of research if you are thinking about getting into this breed. They only tend to bond to one person.

Sadly, a Humane Society rescue is starting to sound like a better option. :(

At least then I could have the legendary twins of tortoiseshell.

My mother keeps rwo of them. They're sweethearts, really. They're big and athletic and don't mind being picked up. They need lots of attention and like water (!).
One of them "talks". If you say something, he replies with a raspy meow. It can go on forever.

Huh? Never heard of this before.
They're usually healthier than other pedigree cats. Some of them are also immune to FIV (cat AIDS).
>> Female.
If you like bengals, but not the price, try an Egyptian Mau, they're amazing cats.
