I would like any pictures of either completely black or completely white wolves.

A plus is if they're very high quality and of the entire body, and only one in the picture.

Aren't wolves always in a shade of grey?
>> Anonymous
"completely white or black" as in very light or very dark.

also sometimes they're brownish.

There are also red wolves.

Canis Rufus is not amused by being left out.

First off, that's not a picture of a wolf. That's a picture of a dog. Which was a wolf several hundred years ago, but due to imbreeding it brain shrank by 1/3 and so on and so forth. That's no wolf, that's a dog.

No, wolves come in a variety of colors and markings. There are solid black and white wolves. It is very rare, but it happens. And most of the time a black wolf with have a scant few grey/silver hairs mixed in with it. However there is a genetic mutation where a solid black wolf can be born. Generally they are very big.

Also, that same genetic quirk causes the small blue wolves too. (Yes, there are blue wolves.)

Technically, that's not a wolf. It's Canius Rufus, not Canius lupis rufus. Wolves are ALWAYS Canius lupis with the subspecies following such as Canius lupis artoce for the artic wolf and so on and so forth. Canius rufus, the so called "red wolf" is closer genetically to a cyote than a wolf.

Haha, the "Now You Know" strike was flawed, even if only very slightly, and since i'm a small-minded little prat I'll point it out. It's Canis LupUs and the arctic wolf is Canis Lupus Arctos.

Most definatly a spitz. I can tell by the curling of the tail, and having seen a few spitz's in my day.

Protip: Spitz is a type of dog not a breed. Akita is a type of spitz. ^o^

This is a wolf. I swear. . .

Well, when 4Chan gets a spell checker then everything will be good.

Also, the Canius is capitilized but the lupis and arctos are not.

And it is lupIs. LupUs is the disease.

Notice how the nuzzle is longer in the wolf than in the dog? Even the eyes are different.

Now, THIS is a white wolf.

In b4 "It's not lupus"... And oh yeah it is lupus. Didn't really bother about the capitalization before so I'm not surprised I got that wrong. Well, now I know.
BUT it is Canis lupus, NOT Canius lupis. Don't know where you got those i's in there.
Go ahead, google it. I know I'm right.

I learned something new today.

If you use the latest version of Firefox, it can spell check for you. I don't know about TrojanSpywareBackdoor Explorer, though. I hate the new version. There's some Mac browser that spell checks as well, but honestly, who uses those things?

Here is a picture of a brown and white wolf for the OP

Btw, Elf, this small-minded little prat really enjoyed those pics you posted. Awesome.

You are right and I apologize. Damn dislexic biologist who can't spell. I knew I should listen to his literary wife.

And who the FRACK keeps posting dogs? They're not even Malamutes or Huskies, which look wolfish. They're Akitas and the like? WTF.

Here, another REAL wolf and not something that's been imbred for the past thousand years.

Anonymous keeps posting dogs because the OP posted a dog, thinking it was a wolf. We do this to further cast the OP into a spiraling well of ignorance. Lurk moar.
