A few months ago I saw a furless fox loitering around our propety – wanting to help him, I researched on the Net. I never saw him again, but my short-hair dog, who I take for walkies around the acreage property on a leash, lost his fur on every area that the leash, which often falls onto the dry soil had come into contact with – namely the sides of his scrotum and 2 neat lines on the sides of his body where the leash made contact when he pulled. The skin on his scrotum looked very dry, wrinkly and crusty.
He had to endure 3 weeks of getting large amounts of fungal cream smeared on his family jewels and ticklish sides, but it completely cured him. I washed the leash and everything else in strong bleach and now make sure it doesn’t come into contact with the soil, or him.
Problem is – now I probably have his problem! I started getting red spots on my feet and in a matter of two weeks, they made their way up my entire body. The spots (thousands of them but hard to see) are at the base of each hair, and the spots that itch (a hundred perhaps) are raised. There are also a couple of dry, flaky areas on my skin that I brought under control with fungus cream. Another member of my family got the exact problem first. Our doctor has no idea and now I have to wait two months for a specialist dermatologist appointment. Have you ever heard of this problem? What could it be?

Thank you for reading this long letter. I tried to keep it short. Hope you can give some insight into these problems. Thanks again.

congradulations, you have mange.

Yeah, yeah - thanks. The symptoms for mange mites that usually spread to humans don't fully fit mine. Fox mange mostly causes temporary irritation in humans and doesn't spread up the body, like it did with me.
Also, doctor doesn't know what it is, etc, etc...
That's why I'm fishing for opinions here.
>> Bitter Anon !!WJLRQ1cwCyZ
It sounds like psoriasis, kinda. I would have said it was a discoid rash, but you don't have the lupus and also it spread to your family, but it does sound damn close.

Regardless of the exact cause.. smear antifungal cream on that. Srsly. Just go to a drug store, get the strongest athlete's foot cream you can, and lather yourself in it for two weeks. Don't scratch, wash everything in your house, and it should go away.

Also, what the fuck? Why do you let the leash dangle on his balls?
>> Anonymous
>>177136
Haha. The leash sometimes went between the legs when he pulled and dropped to the ground when he stood.
I might have to rub myself in fungus cream, yes. I even have spots on my scalp now, so I'm a little concerned. Also, I always use anti-fungal/bacterial rinse in my washing, so I don't know why it spread like this, and to another family member.

I still don't understand the leash-ball contact, but I'm going to resist calling you a furfag because you can't help your sick, sick urges.

Quit fucking scratching. If you scratch, it will spread. Consider this to be fungual poision ivy. Its basically the same thing. If you scratch, you tear open your flesh and make it easier for it to spread and it gets under your nails. When you sleep, the fungus will fall off into your bed and when you roll over, it will attatch to the next piece of flesh it finds.

Wash and cover yourself in antifungals. Don't scratch while you're putting the cream on either. Also stop sharing bedding or rubbing yourself on or whatever the hell you're doing thats making it spread to your family. Thats sick, man. Almost as bad as the dog thing.

Oh, and because someone is going to come along and be like "hurf bitter knows about stds and funguses cause hes a fag", no, it's because I have a disease that means I get skin problems extremely easy. A good portion of my life is spent taking care of my skin, so I know what to do and what not to do.

>>177144
Fuck you, House, sometimes it IS lupus!

Maybe you have AIDS.
But seriously, hope you get better.

I resist scratching and my family member may have gotten it from the same source.

I get the leash-near-balls thing. Like when the dog steps over the leash and it's under him between his legs and then he pulls, it brushes up against the scrotum, yes? Why is everyone getting bent-out-of-shape over this? I've never even had a dog and I find it easy to picture.
>> Anonymous
>>177286
yeah, it's bullshit. It happens occasionally, and unless you're using a harness, it's hard to keep the dog from sometimes stepping over and tangling in the leash.

Oh, I get how it happened, I was pretty much just being a jerk. You guys need to learn how to walk a dog, though, because letting the leash get underneath them can cause problems just like this, and their legs can get tangled and break if they pull suddenly, and it makes the leashes fucking gross. I don't want to handle a leash after it has been caressing some dog's ass.

>>177357
I'm a dick and an ass? Why don't I just go fuck myself then?

Define "normal." Most farmers/country folk I know are eager to shoot anything that walks onto their land, but I just couldn't do that.

>>177260
You mean in about 70 years.... I could be dead?

>>177286
Most people here are 13-15 and the word "scrotum" makes them nervous. In Bitter's case; it just fills his mind with unsettling homosexual thoughts.
Also, I used a longer leash where this happened more often, but since he got the fungus have switched to a short one and make sure it never touches the ground.

>>177335
I live in Australia and the health system has been neglected for a long time, but I saw stuff on "Sicko" that really surprised me.

>>177363
You *did not* "get how it happened" - your mind was flushed with fierce homosexual erotica after reading the word "scrotum." It's okay; you can admit it.

>>Bitter,
Why don't you got back to elementary school and never own a pet. Oh, and that was a question or suggestion, I was telling you what has to be done. Dogs can't break their legs on their own leashs unless the sick fuck walking them, ie you, does it. Plus, it seems everyone on this thread hates you, so its probably best you, as /b/ puts it, STFU and GTFO.

OP- Its called Sarcoptic Mange, and it is the most likely possibility for what you have. I know your symptoms might sound different, but your body might just react different than most. I would strongly suggest a trip to the doctor for you. Staph is another unlikly but existant possibility, as it caused my dog to being loosing a patch of hair at a rapid rate before we got it under control, and it spread to my other dogs. But anti-fungul cream wouldn't cure that like it did on your dog, so its probably mange. Go to the doctor!

Also, the flea control revolution protects agains fleas, ticks, heartworms (if the dog doesnt origionally have heartworms, so with this you dont need the heartguard and such), and it treats mange on dogs, and I don't remember but I think it possibly even prevents mange in dogs to some degree. Its expensive but worth it.

Thanks. I went to a doctor already who just shrugged and said "I dunno." He gave me an appointment 2 months from now with a specialist dermatologist - apparently the only one available for hundreds of kilometers. The waiting list is huge. Another doctor simply prescribed antihistamine.
I'm hoping to cure myself in the meantime, although I will probably have to try another doctor yet again.

>>177395
Oh god you're adorable! I'd tell you to lurk moar, but I'm not sure it would do any good.

Dogs CAN and DO hurt or break their legs on their leads. Have you ever gotten rope burn? It can cut through you before it has a time to react. This can be prevented by fucking paying attention to what your dog is doing and using a leash only as long as is necessary.

Is it really more likely that OP just has a funny immune system that magically makes the mites cause a different reaction in him, or is it more likely that he has another kind of infection, that just happens to have all the symptoms of a fungal infection?

Regardless of what it is, don't scratch, wash your clothes, and hey, fungal cream might clear it up before your appointment. It'll also help with the itching and redness, at the very least.

Ah, so you're one of those guys who automatically associates the balls of animals with his own.

Newsflash: your dog will not miss his balls, your dog will not even notice they are missing, your neutering your dog does not make you 'less' of a man.

In fact, by getting so defensive about your dog's balls, you've proven that you're not secure with your own. I'm sure your dog would rather live a happy, long, cancer-free life than have his balls.
>> Anonymous
>>177464
Ringworm doesn't cause all the hair to fall out like in the fox things. And a doctor would recognize that in a person easily.

Stop saying "balls" so much, you'll titilate (ballitate?) Bitter.
*Newsflash* There are other types of cancer a dog can get. Neutering slightly increases the chance of -malignant- tumors, so it's not a "fix-all" solution.
>> reply 6969sExY-kItTy6969

Op, enjoy your dog and hobo disease. It's mange, but since you live in Austrailia it's probably some deadly venomous mange that will kill you. GG.

It doesn't fix all, but it reduces the chance.
AND your dog will hump stuff less.
But fags who don't get their dogs fixed usually want them to be sexually active.
