Sigh, gerbil tails are so fragile. There should be express warnings about gerbil tails when people get gerbils.
I had two gerbils that I left with a friend while I was on vacation. They came back with stubbed tails. He said that they chewed them, and I couldn't believe it. Anyway they were otherwise fine.
