I have been browsing the internet for a while and I am hoping for some suggestions from you guys...

I am buying my turtle a larger tank, as he has outgrown his, so I am getting him a 60 gallon tank and am wondering what brand filters and heaters people suggest??

Pic related as it is my turtle.

You're better off buying even bigger a tank than 60 gallons. Sliders get pretty big. Try and get one of the turtle tanks that a lot of petstores sell. They have the cutout on the side for the filter, so you don't have to put much water in it at all.

Another option, the better way to go and the only way I'll house chelodians, is an outdoor enclosure. Turtles always do better if they can live outside. You can get one of the little pond kits from like Wal-Mart or wherever, put a heater in it if you live in an area where sliders aren't native, construct some sort of barrier while leaving a land area for him to get out on, and ta-da.

He'll do much better than if he was kept indoors all year long.
