Earlier today, I found a frog near my feet at the station I work at. Now I work at a machine shop, and the floor is dirty and there is just mucky shit everywhere, and as you know frogs are amphibians, and this poor guy was covered in muck. I go to pick him up and he is quite literally completely black with soot and dirt, his eyes can't open from it and he incapable of protecting himself from me picking him up. I take him into the break room and get a plate, and pour water all over the guy, and fill the plate with some water and swish it around. This guy has dirt coming off of him, so much dirt it was pathetic to see. But his reaction was amazing, he starts moving and it was like watching a child when you give them a new toy. What was even more amazing was when I took the guy outside he held onto my hand as I picked off all the crap from his body, and placed him on a tree branch. I then took a bottle of water and slowly poured it on his head, and he looked up at the water as it was flowing over him and he STARTED TO GLOW. Not in the literal OMFG he's a glowing alien, but glowing in the sense that he had life, I can't really explain it but it was like I gave that frogs life back to it.
Moral of the story, save an animal that is capable of being saved, you wont regret doing so.
