Hey /an/ I'm just setting up my 10 gal. fresh water tank and I was wondering what I should put in it I was thinking dwarf frogs and some cool fish

What fish is that in op's pic? It looks awesome! can I put one in my 10 gallon, and do they get along well with bettas?

Get some livebearers like mollies or swordtails with one dwarf frog. So when they poop out babies, it'll give your frog a delicious (and fun!) snack. Yum.

Have you looked at any fish yet? Considering anything? Personal reccomendation would be a small school of 4 corydoras catfish (corydoras julii are really pretty, and common). They're very active and fun to watch.

Also, remember to cycle. http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/cycling2.htm

just remember the golden rule: one gallon of water per inch of fish... meaning for a ten gallon, you are essentially limited to no more than five fish. I, personally, would do a betta, three black neon tetras, and a mystery snail.

four cory cats would rapidly outgrow a ten gallon.

ten neons would be very happy in a 10g.

Or 25 dwarf rasboras, but you are not leet enough to know what those are.

depends, 4 emeralds would get to big, 8 Cory. pygmaeus would be fine

depends, though... I've seen some LARGE tetras, lately. Neons running towards and inch and a half, glolites even longer. Also, you've got to figure the deeper bodied tetras, as well, high fins and long skirts and such, where they may only be an inch long, but three quarters of an inch deep, as well. Without knowing what filter the OP is running, I'd err on the side of caution, and recommend fewer fish.

just get like six pounds of various snails and dump them in there

pretty much the most dynamic fish tank possible
