So, probably the last cocoa update and a happy one. We ended up getting a spray bottle for discipline and boy does it work. I think the main problem in the past was she just didn't respond to any kind of punishment. Well this spray bottle certainly does the job! She's been more gentle and affectionate than ever now. She takes food very gently from our hands and since we go 'NO' before spraying, she now responds simply to the word. So all in all I think this stubborn doom-puppy has finally calmed down a tad. Here is a picture of her and her beloved Mr. Monkey.

Well done! I'm so glad things worked out for you two.

Yeah, it was just a matter of finding a punishment that she'd clue into. As for the anon who repeatedly recommended bitter apple spray, I wasn't ignoring you. I posted on the first thread that I simply could not find any here and I'd have to go into the city.

Now really the only issue we have with her is her inability to hold in going to the bathroom for more than a few moments but the vet assured us she'd simply grow out of that.

Ah ok, I didn't see that. Sorry about the last post. Kinda frustrating to see someone waste a lot of money and go through a lot of pain when the obvious solution is a few dollars away.

Well I'm glad it didn't turn out to be canine diabetes, but just growing problems like some other anon suggested a while ago.

She'll probably still want to bite and secretly like biting. Get her one of those baby teething toys if you can't afford the hyperexpensive omg meat flavoured dog chew bones.

She's got a teething ring, a teething bone and a couple rawhide bones but she still likes chewing on concrete. The psycho heh heh. Yeah things are great now though. The other day she stole an SOS pad from the garbage and was running around the house with it. I simply picked up the spray bottle and she put it down. It's pretty effective!
