So /a within 4 hours today I've found a huge group of black ants on my floor in my apartment. I've seen a few before but never in such large numbers. It hasn't been raining so they weren't flooded out. I don't have any food or crumbs on my floor. It's just like one minute I looked down and they were everywhere. Any idea on what may have caused this?

This time of year, black ants always start appearing inside buildings.

In the previous years they used to do this shit in my bathroom, which is weird because my bathroom's always clean.

This year, though, they started showing up in my kitchen, and now right ON my desk. Fucking shits. I'm holding them off with bug spray and shit.

My cat's excellent at keeping those small roaches out, but for some reason it leaves black ants alone.

Normal black ants or HUEG black ants? Could be either sugar ants (small) or carpenter ants (fucking big).

I get both. Lay down some traps/poison in likely areas they're get to.

For the big ones? I don't know. The bastards love appearing right underneath my computer desk, and crawling on my FEET. And then I've had at least two queens (young ones, with wings) drop down from my ceiling, from my light fixture. God damn apartments. Built in the 70's.
