Quick update, the guy woke up and started moving around. We took him outside to the field next to our house, and before we could contemplate his readiness, he jumped out of the little dish we were holding him in, and ran off into the night making some sort of squeek noise. He's probably looking for his mom. As to why I didn't just kill the guy, one of my cats, who used to be a bit of a stray (She was left behind by our neighbors when they moved), had kittens, and because my dad hates cats, we had to keep them outside, and it left them rather vulnerable, so one particular litter had two that were killed by fairly small dogs, about the size of my own right now. Usually in the end, only two would survive out of a litter of five, and it was because I couldn't do crap for the guys.
