Missing Marble Anonymous
My cat of 8 years and an ambassador of the neighborhood was stolen off of my front step and put into a car at 8:30AM this morning

Caturday too my knowledge has never seen a casualty, so this is deeply troubling...
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
I should probably add that if you live in this area (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. canada) that the SPCA has never heard of this happening in this manner.. The car was beige sedan with a red vanity light over the rear license plate.

Not much else is known...

Your cat was kidnapped?
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
At 8:30 this Saturday morning off my front step, my brother saw the man very briefly as he got into the car after tossing my cat in by the gruff of her neck. He couldn't get a plate number sadly, just a description of the car.
>> Anonymous
lol in Canada, people steal your cats.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
I know right? I'm pissed off cause I fucking loved that cat... but I've even more stupefied that someone would go to that incredibly short length to steal her.
>> Anonymous
What's so special about your cat that it was kidnapped? And are you in contact with the police, or are you afraid they'll laugh at you? I guess a cat counts as property.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
My cat had no monetary worth if that's what you're asking. We reported it to the police because of the circumstances that she was taken, other than that I've put up ads.
I am at this point prepared for any resolve I can imagine.

She was just, taken, so abruptly. I don't know why I'm saying this here, but to be fair I am saying it everywhere.
>> Anonymous
You took a screenshot of your viewer and then uploaded that screenshot instead of the actual picture? W-what?

This also confused me.

However, assuming this story is true, OP is under great mental anguish and confusion. Hence, this his retardation can be excused.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
Well truth be told, the cat is indeed kidnapped, and the pictures that are there are gigantic and quite detail filled. So instead of using advanced skills or even common sense - I made it like this.
And to tell you the truth, doesn't it kind of add to the mystery of the whole event?
>> Anonymous
OP, the same thing happened to my mother's pixie bobcat.

What compells people to think "that cat! I must have it! Even if I have to steal it."

It was a gorgeous cat.

If I was in Saskatoon, I'd help you look for the cat while wearing a detective cap that I have. I am in Toronto, though.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
As a Canadian in a major metropolitan area like Toronto I'm sure you can relate when shortly after my cat was taken, I was informed Saskatoon is the murder capital of the country. Now, that can't say anything good about our crime rate...

Yeah but that's people, though, not cats. Who cares about people.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
It's amazing you say that, she was the most trusting and goodhearted animal, (my dogs are terrible people, albeit loyal and sometimes bearable) and she truly was a good will ambassador of this neighborhood. She would always greet people outside our house, whoever they were.
Now that I think about it she must have an amazing karma surplus.

Keep us updated if anything happens.

Is there anything to indicate that the person who stole the cat had malicious intent? Maybe they're giving it a good life.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
Everything that's been done I think has been to this point. I'm not sure on malicious intent, seeing as I would call malicious taking my cat from off my front step and driving off with her.
I can only assume it was premeditated, I live at home with a socially active brother and sister.

My brother was in my room petting my dog and talking to me (i was half asleep) when he saw through my window some legs (basement room) and then a hand reach out and grab Marble. He took off upstairs and outside where he saw the car and the guy, it makes me so upset that we couldn't get a plate number... But how can you blame someone for trying like that??

IT'S MAHBLE BAYBEE!!!
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
It strikes me as the worst thing to happen on a Caturday, your cat is stolen, and they don't leave a ransom note.

>amazing karma surplus

Perhaps she was stolen by some fancy rich guy who will give her everything she has ever wanted. An indoor hunting ground, a giant litter box room, hire little kids to pet her 24/7....
>> That Gomez
sorry, OP. A missing cat around halloween means your cat's probably gonna get torn apart by some idiots out to have a good time.
>> Anonymous
It's because of the fact that there are people who would steal your pets ALIVE in this world, that I keep my cat inside, all day, every day. I let him out the back ocasionally, but it's all enclosed.

If you find your cat, STICK IT IN A BOX, DON'T EVER LEAVE IT.

This. It's almost Halloween. Your cat is good as dead.
>> Missing Marble Anonymous
If anyone has any "success stories" that they could share with me, you know I'd be glad to hear the length of the wait and what you did to continue searching?

Poor Marble!

Saskatoon is a rough place, I hope she turns up alive and well. :(

The fact that you took time out of your schedule where you would normally patrol more worthy threads, it kinda makes me feel all warm inside... thank you

just thought I'd add it's nice to know people care, and while the last caturday has been sad for me. It probably should not bog down any festivities. If you have a cat i wouldn't mind changing this thread to something most positive.
>> Anonymous
What are you doing inside? Shouldn't you be out looking around the neighborhood for the same type of car? It might be worth noting to look in adjacent neighborhoods. You should also call around nearby car rental locations.

Seriously, quick screwing around. "I called the police" isn't good enough.
>> Anonymous
Post the car description here.
>> AnonPony
OMG I am so sorry for you. Poor little Marble!! I will send as many good thoughts her way as I can, I hope she turns up soon.

I know how it feels to have psychotic neighbors/surrounding idiots. After I saw our retarded/psychotic neighbor kids try to pet my cat, I almost flipped my shit.

FIND THOSE FUCKERS AND KILL THEM. :]

Animal shelters and shit won't let you adopt a dark cat this time of year...and really screen your ass for any other color. Or at least here they do. And marble is a tortoiseshell from the looks of her. So yeah, it's quite possible she's being used for horrid purposes.
>> Anonymous
>>329818

This anon speaks the truth. We refuse to adopt out black cats in October at our shelter.
>> Anonymous
>>329819
Same here, too.

I think Marble's cat is probably going to be used for something wicked and downright horrible.
>> Anonymous
>>329304Is there anything to indicate that the person who stole the cat had malicious intent?

They STOLE a CAT.
>> Anonymous
>>329847
I meant malicious intent towards the cat. Simply stealing it isn't malicious.
>> Anonymous
>>329848

Attention OP: We've found your cat. It's posting on /an/ and is suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

Torties are supposed to bring good luck...

Know any chinks that live near you? Or for that matter, chink restaurants? They prolly stole. Today's special is Kung Pao Kitty.

ever notice that the word cat and dog both have 3 letters?

>>329471
My cat went mysteriously missing one time... i was suspicious cuz some fucking kids were lurking around my house picking the blackberries that grow in the next lot back but i had no proof that they took him nor did i know where they lived. he was only just out of kittenhood, not even fully grown, and incredibly friendly so i figured he probably just walked up to him and they picked him up and brought him home.
two years later, he showed back up at my house, big and fat and happy to see me as ever. you never know, OP...

Oh man.
I'm sorry, anon.

My cat was stolen too. Mochi. He was the sweetest thing.

If you find the thief, give them an extra punch for Mochi. ;_;
