I've noticed my rabbit seems to have lost some weight, shes about 7 years and 4 months old, and shes always be a bit overweight, but she isn't underweight now, but shes eating plenty, could it just be old age or could it be something else? She seems completely fine, running about as usually, apart from the fact shes thinner her coat and general appearance is fine.

at 7 years id say it most likely IS age! especially if she is still a happy bunny. i suggest keeping an eye on her though, make sure she continues to eat and act normally, if anything changes i say its time for a vet visit!

my nine year old holland lop, creatively named hopper, started loosing weight around that time.

took him to the vet - and yes, it was just age setting in on him. he still ate like crazy though.. it was just something in his metabolism, i guess?

Try giving alfalfa and groats. Check with the vet.
Seniors: Senior rabbits over 6 years of age can be fed the same diet as mature adults if they do not have weight loss problems. You may need to increase pellet intake if your pet is not able to maintain his or her weight. Alfalfa can also be given to underweight rabbits, but only if calcium levels are normal. Annual blood workups are highly recommended for senior rabbits to determine the level of calcium and other components of the blood.
