My apartment was getting "flushed" for a bad bug problem the building was having (funny, since I've never seen a bug in my apartment, save for a fly) so I had to find a place for my cat to stay for awhile... On very short notice. (Seriously. The apartment magaer came by and said "Tomorrow all this stuff is happening, so you need your apartment cleaned out by then or we'll fine you.")
So, I took my cat to my mom's house. Three days later I come to pick him up and he's covered in fleas and looks so sad. (Guess where he never stays again?) At first I tried the flea powder and spray I usually use but these things were all over him, getting icky flea dirt all in his fur... He was also beginning to act sick, not eating and crying all of the time. So I had to give him a bath to get those things off of him. He made the most horrible sounds I've ever heard and gave me scratches on my arms, legs, neck, and boobs.
It was horrible.
