but last night I found one in a cup and a few years ago they laid eggs in my clothes and I would bring them places.

also here's a creepy story:
"We had these bugs so bad we had to cut down the tree they lived on. We could scoop them up with a shovel to put in a bag. They invaded our house, covered the sunny side of the house until you couldn't see the siding. They leave little smeary marks on everything. It was years after cutting down the tree that we finally got rid of them. Then we moved. Our neighbor has a golden rain tree, and they also have these bugs, but not as bad."

I have them all over the outside of my house right now. They're just Boxelders... they're totally harmless.

Yup. Boxelder bugs. Harmless, except if you have a particularly dim corgi pup who eats a bellyful of them and then throws them up all over the kitchen floor. The dog was fine, but the cleanup was sort of gross.

They're not stinkbugs, they're Boxelder bugs.
