I lived in the Islands GC,BWI...my son collected a few..they make interesting pets...if they ever crawl out of there container...good luck finding them..when the scoup themselves into a new shell...that is neat to watch

when young the live like a typical hermit. when they get big their tail hardens and they no longer need the shells (which is good since they couldn't find one big enough anyways)
