Hot Spots Anonymous
My dog is itching like crazy (no fleas) hot spots and suggestions?

could be mites.or heat rash.have you changed bedding, food, fabric softener? are you hoovering well?i also have heard it can be a nervous reaction.

When dogs scratch and you don't see fleas, it could be allergies or mange(mites).

Have you changed dog shampoo or washed the dog recently with a bit too much shampoo? Did you check which areas he scratches, and seen what it looks like? Did you change his food to a weird brand?

At any rate, the best you can do is shave the fur around the area he scratches, and take the dog to the vet to see what exactly it is. Considering what the last anon with a dog that had a weird skin condition said, if your vet says "i dunno lol" it's an allergy.

Go get a product called Sulfodene..it's a medicated hotspot liquid that fairly much cures nything related to hotspots and mites. Dab it onto a napkin or preferably a sponge and jsut gently press onto the area...it'll start working in about 2-3 days....it costs around 18 bucks
