Dude, I can't stand these things!! They come up to our pond and eat all of our goldfish and frogs! I mean, it's what they do, but go somewhere else! We can't do anything to get rid of them cuz they're "protected" or something...
>> Anonymous
>>144839
just shoot them, you chickenshit
>> Anonymous
There was one that would hang around my neighborhood. I thought it was pretty awesome because it was the only large bird we would see besides the occasional turkey vulture and osprey.
>> Anonymous
>>144839
there's special barricades you can buy against herons.
>> Anonymous
>>144839

You can get dummy herons. I heard herons won't stop and hunt around where they see other herons. Just be sure you move them around because they'll catch on in time.
>> Con
We have fishlines between the trees, they get stuck, get in pain and remember our garden is hell.
>> Anonymous
americans are too scared to shoot huge ugly trash birds.
>> Anonymous
>>144888
maybe its because most of us don't live out in the woods and have neighbors who will call the cops in a heartbeat.

fucking eurofags, always starting.
>> Anonymous
>>144895

Im no eurofag but wouldnt a pellet gun work fine as well? They're quite large birds so I don't believe it'll kill them if it's a long enough distance. Not to mention, they're quite and the neighbors cant do shit about it.

When I was a shota, I got attacked by one of these fuckers. I was trying to catch a frog and the bastard ran at me screaming and tried to stab me. I hit it with a rock and ran away.

>>144907
I'd hit it. With a rock.

>>144907

first kitten-kicking ("across the room" no less), and now he's going after Herons with rocks?

You.. can buy guns at 7-11s? WTF?

Or do you mean steal them from Habib behind the counter?

Had a neighbor who had problems with a heron that camped out at his koi pond. The damned thing just spend the entire winter hanging out and eating all of his fish. I think he went and got some copper mesh to put over his pond the next year, to keep the fish safe without impeding the view of his pond.

I guess that works? No clue how it affects the environment. I'd feel sorry for the deer, but with all the rain we've had lately there's more than enough water for them right now.

Kneejerk reaction. Americans seem to be good at those.

I wasn't so much "ZOMG poor bunnyz" as I was "Wow that's not going fi--well shit." I used to have similar reactions in /b/.
>> Anonymous
What's weird is that it's dipping the (clearly dry) bunny in the water before it eats the damn thing. Either it's being very clean or then there's something really weird goin on here.

Hello I am an American and I do not care that it is eating the bunny. The thing I care about is if there is actually a video of this. I want to hear the rabbit screaming.

lubrication for swallowing?
>> Anonymous
>>145488

Seconded. It's lubrication. When herons catch and eat fish, they also swallow a considerable amount of water along with the fish.
