Be sure that you are ready to raise a husky, huskies are one of the hardest dog breeds to train, because they are pretty stubborn. Be consistant, no conceptions, because otherwise you´ll get a dog that doesnt listen to you.
Also, when you walk your dog, make sure to guide him well, because huskies have a tendancy to walk to the north!

Make sure you socialize them really well when they're young, they're very prey-driven so they have to learn to get along with other animals from a young age

They are amazing, I strongly suggest adopting one.

I have never heard of a miniature sibe besides the klee-kais. If it's not a breed registered in any decent breed registry, I'd avoid it-- breeders of those dogs don't have any rules or anything they need to follow then, and you could get a sick dog or one full of genetic health issues.

Mini huskies and Klee Kais are different guys. Mini huskies are actually huskies... Klee Kais aren't. Durr.

Why is everyone suggesting malamutes?
Aren't they just as stubborn and hard to train as huskies, only bigger?

People who advertise Mini or Teacup anything, outside of long established, registered breeds (Mini Schnauzer, Mini Bull Terrier) are most likely just in it for your money. They breed simply on the basis of size, not overall health or temperament. You often end up high strung, sickly dogs with serious behavior issues.

The Alaskan Klee Kai was bred down from the Alaskan Husky (Not the Siberian) by taking naturally small but robust individuals and outbreeding them to smaller spitz type dogs. The Alaskan Husky is more a type then a breed, and in the process of standardizing the breed, they came to look more like their Siberian cousins, only smaller (though the Klee Kai comes in three different sizes according to the standard).

Stubborn isn't quite the word to use, and it also really depends on the dog. My malamute was adopted as a stray from the Malamute Rescue Society of Ohio. $175 fee for neutering, medical checkup, and two months of food. So we don't have paperwork to go with him, but who really cares? Adopting is a good, inexpensive option, just make sure you can spend a bit of time with the dog first.
