Ferrets Midori !4hcHBs40RQ
Tell me about them.
How good of a pet are they? Experiences?

I have one.
As long as you keep them and the cage clean, and make sure to have them descented when they're young, they wont smell.
They sleep a lot when young, up to 18 hrs a day...but damn they're hyper and fast when up and about. Loads of fun.
Make sure you have enough room for one. They don't do well keep in cages. And you'll have to ferret proof your house.

Had three of them, they're good pets if you can keep up with their habits. You'll learn the hard way because no matter what I say all ferrets are god damn weasels and will find a way to make you go AWWW GOD DAMN YOU'RE TOO CUTE TO BE MAD AT. Get one, don't get more than that or else the time invested in upkeep isn't worth it. Bathe them once a week, make sure to litter train IE. Get a book on it, they're hard to litter train because they're so intelligent they definitely want something good in return for them pooping where YOU want them to instead of where they want to. Nails have to be clipped when bathed, cage cleaned at least once a week and they require a pretty good amount of human interaction. Cuter than hell and full of personality. Great pet but more than 1 is almost a chore to take care of and maintain. Read a book on ferrets, trust me it'll give you a good idea of what you're getting yourself into.

Most ferrets do better in pairs. Only get one if you're going to be spending a LOT of time with it.

If you bathe a ferret that often, they'll smell worse. Once a month or so is good, obviously if they get dirty they need a bath. If the smell bothers you that much, invest in a conditioning spray. I have one by 8in1 called FerretSheen that works pretty well. (They also make a shampoo.)

Personally I have two ferrets in a 31" x 20" x 55" cage and they're fine. As long as they get at least four hours a day of play time in a large area, they're fine.

i have three... and yes sometimes they do seem to be a chore, but they are happier w/ at least one other ferret, but get one to start w/ and bond w/ it well. they are expensive to maintain but if you have the time and money they are well worth the work and money my three are like my children and i love them dearly.
just make sure you have a good, ferret experianced vet BEFORE yo get a ferret, becouse anything and EVERYTHING will happen to them, also consider adopting an adult to begin w/, babys are a REDICULOUSE amount of work!!

check out this sight and check out there forum

I used to have two ferrets but their smell was so overpowering I couldn't take it anymore and I had to sell them. Anyone who says "if you keep their cage clean then they don't smell" is living in a fairy land where skunks smell like roses. (and yes they were both descented properly) they're practically impossible to literbox train outside of their cage, so if you like smearing shit around on the floor, go for it. They don't usually like to be held or cuddled, they like to explore and if you try and hold them for too long they will scratch or sometimes even bite you.

you play with them while they are on the ground not while holding them. they jump around and go nuts lol
