Anyone here in North America have a Shiba Inu?

I think they are simply gorgeous, but I heard they were quite costly. Is this true? If so, how much does one cost?

Also, Shiba Inu thread.

I came across a Shiba when I was visiting San Francisco.
The dog was so smart it waited for the light to turn green before crossing the road.

And they're damn cute.

For the most part they're independent and are one-owner dogs (only warm up to the owner), not to say they're mean, because they're not, but they'll only really pay attention to one owner. That's what all sources usually say.

BUT. of course there are exceptions. My brother has a shiba, it was the runt of the litter, and he's a bit different. He loves all people and warms up to everyone. Sits on strangers' feet waiting to be pet. Very good looking dog.
