SNAKE Snake
this is my snake Pablo, shes 2 and 1/2 years old and i recently noticed that the scales over her little snake bits, have dents in them and it seems inflamed. nothing has come out, like anything odd, no puss or odd stuff other than the norm, and i didnt know if this might just be the way her scales are growing or something that might kill her D:

srry the pics are bad, dont really have better pics but here we go

oh she is also about to shed, maybe just the scales being stiff?

oh and also post pics of pretty snakes everyone loves snakes :D

The lighting is bad...but it looks like it might be a burn. What sort of heating device are you using and what is the temperature of the cage?

also www.kingsnake.com ask there too, some really knowledgeable people there.

it is a pad that i have under the cage, them being ground snakes like to dig and stuff so i made sure to not have it directly under it so they could press against it...hmm will try to get better look and thanks for the link :3

Well, always be mindful of the temperature, especially since it is a burrowing snake. I had a ball python that burned his belly and there was still a layer of substrate between him and the UTH.

But she is still in shed so that might have something to do with it. Keep a close eye on the temps and the condition of the snake, and if she is still ill after the shed, go see a vet. Just keep it clean as best you can.

Also, what kind of snake is it?

attached is an image of what I want for my next pet

It seems like some of the scales got lifted up, My snake has that happen all the time. The scales could have gotten stuck on clothes or the subtrate that you are using is a little rough. I wouldn't worry about it to much it should go away after the next shed cycle.
