There's a hummingbird in my garage, and despite the door being open it seems to be unable to figure out how to leave. All it does is hit it's head on the ceiling over and over. How can I lure/chase/whatever this bird out before it dies?

Didn't work. It's ignoring it.

this happened to me once. if it is close enough stand on a chair and let it land on your finger and cover it with your other hand and then let it go.

Might be possible with a net. Might be pretty difficult though. Hummingbirds are very fragile easily stressed.

Let evolution work its' wonder.
Someday there'll be a hummingbird smart enough to fly out of the garage.
Or not.

Set/cut/draw something big bright red in the shape of a daisy flower in the doorway when the door is open or hang near the doorway, maybe it will attract it well.

If it's that confused, it might have some kind of illness and will die either way.

It's more than likely **very** dehydrated

Hummingbirds need to CONSTANTLY feed on nectar to support their activities

That hummingbird has got to get out of the garage soon and feed again.

this has happened to me before. get a broom that is used to keep garage ceilings clean and put it under him so he will land on it. then quickly move it outside before he takes off.
