The biggest Maine Coon on record weighs a whopping 35 lbs. And that's lean weight, verified by vets.

These things grow FUKING HUEG!

Yes.

20 pounds (or even bigger) is no exception for a male coon, though average is a bit lower. Length can go up to 1 meter/40 inch (head to tip of tail). They are among the biggest breeds of pet-cats.
Females don't get overly big most of the time. (like 6-12 pounds or something)

I've got a female Maine Coon kitten. I hope she gets fairly big :)

My main coon tried to eat my neighbors chihuahua, he was that big.

How big the cat gets depends on a number of factors, coat-color being one of them, got this from a breeder.

the one we have has black fur, weighs 23lbs. and can rest his chin on the surface of our table with ease. his great-uncle is an orange-tabby whom weighs in at just shy of 30lbs.

So to get the biggest cat possible, you should go for an orange male?
>> Anonymous

i have both and they're pretty much the same size at about 20 pound each.

I've got an orange tabby stray who looks to be part coon. He's about eight months old and the size of an average bed-pillow. Weighs about 12lbs and when he stretches on his back paws, he can reach my mid-torso (I'm about 5'10). I shudder to think how big he's going to get.

I suppose that depends on whether or not he decides to let me live.

He's pretty, so here's a pic! I don't have any that show how big he is, unfortunately.
