I do believe it are time for a thread involving rats.

Does anyone here own pet rats?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Or, alternately, does anyone here worship rats as the incarnation of their god?
>> Anonymous

I do like rats. Muchly.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
I will breed an army of them and use them in the completion of various acts of wrath.

So, uh, why was the first image deleted? There were no rule-breaking parts to it...
>> Anonymous

These hairless guys are kinda creepy.
>> Anonymous

Why do people so badly fear rats anyway?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Anyone ever adopted wild rats? Was it successful?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
I hear some cats are afeared of rats. This amuses us.
>> Anonymous

Once again, I gotta ask, why was my first image deleted? No rules were broken by it. I'd like to know, ya know, just in case I'm about to break this third invisible rule again.

We had rats in the walls a while ago.

Big loud fighting ones.

We don't have a basement though, and this house is pretty new.

I wanted it to be a sign of Cthulhu's rising. Ah well.

Mod who deleted my first picture, why for did you do it?
>> Anonymous

All these rats from the indian temple of rats are gross and scabby. Obviously, indians don't know how to feed rats properly.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
These ones are cute.
>> Anonymous

Why would anyone want to feed a rat pepsi?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
Does it turn them into super-powered super-rats?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
I don't think this one is a rat... no tail etc. But it's still a cute lil' rodent thingy.

Anybody feel like contributing pictures of their own rats?

Simple answer:
Bubonic Plague.
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
>> Anonymous
>>167791
Those diseases were carried by black rats, not our fancy rat that are brown/norway rats.

Two very different species of rats.
>> Anonymous
>>167795

And they weren't carried by the rats anyway, the plague was carried by the FLEAS on the rats.

People blame rats for that, when FLEAS are the bastards who did it!

I have 26 fancy rats. And I go feed wild rats in old abandoned feed factory occasionally. X)
I LOOVE rats.

Also my cats are afraid of them. :p
>> Morrie

Most people say they don't like rats because of their tail. <.< Which feels really nice and warm... they just say it's icky without ever touching it. I really hate humans. Only they can be so stupid to make opinions without any sort of contact with the thing.
>> Anonymous
>>167832
They can get tailess rats. They breed them.
But I like that long scaley tail.

26 rats? Wow. I only have one, and that's only because there was only one to get and I didn't want him being sold alone to someone who wasn't going to buy him a buddy.

thread makes me want another rat :( we haven't had one in years after our last two ended up with a lot of health problems.. typical rat stuff, tumors etc, but we just hate losing them. found a local rescue, though, so if we ever decide to go through it all again we're totally adopting. thinking about my old rats brings a smile to my face, i definitely miss having them around.
>> Morrie
     File :-(, x)
>>167836

Rat needs it's tail, they use it to cool off and for balance also and aid them when climbing.

>>167841

Well I breed them so... ^^;; Though when I got my first rats years ago I got 4 at the same time. And 2 more after awhile. So I never really had just few rats.

Everyone should get rats. They are best pets ever. :o
>> Anonymous
>>167855
I'm well aware of that. I just said that there is a breed of rat that does not have a tail.

My cats have always been weirded out by the pet rats. They don't go near the cage because the rats will try to touch them and they don't like it.
>>167832
This is the excuse people ALWAYS give me. I don't understand it. Also they think it's dirty.

Rats are VERY clean animals are rat owners will know and also very intelligent, fun pets, and generally like to be handled. You can carry them around with you! If you don't mind the strange looks...

I don't have any rats at the moment because SOMEONE decided to put my cage outside when I went to bed and when I got up they had opened the cage door. So fucking angry at that.

This is my friend's deceased rat Pixie. She was an awesome pet.

^as pet owners not "are". I need sleep.

Btw that is orange juice not a shot of something >.>

This thread makes me miss having rats so much. qq
The last rats I owned were two girls I named Oreo and Cookie. Someday I will own again maybe, but I really want to get a rabbit or hamster first. Never had either, want the experience!
>> Anonymous
>>167862
Hamsters are quite boring IMO if you have owned rats. Rabbits are pretty ok though.

I've been thinking about a Chinchilla...

Yes, she's a hairless. She has tiny peach fuzz on her head and feets, but you can't really see it, because it's white. She's awesome. Her name is Monkey.
