Got him to the vet as soon as I could. He removed the eye and stitched it shut. He should be good as new soon.

It's a tradeoff. The cat gets a cyborg eye to replace the old eye, but in exchange loses a comparable part of his anatomy. His left rear leg, for instance.

I'm glad that you managed to take care of your cat. Even though you might not always have the money ready, you at least have shown that you're willing to take care of the cat and give him as good a life as you can provide for him.

With that you're a better owner than lots of other people out there.
