So I have a Pom. Not the stereotypical yappy little bastard that never shuts up. Nope, he's like a big dog, just small. I've broke him of 98% of the annoying habits dogs have with idiot owners.
One of those habits I haven't figured out how to remedy is his new habit of biting at strangers when they come in the fence. I figure he picked it up from my mother's yorkie (meanest little fuck out there).
Seeing as he came from a shit BYbreeder he wasn't properly socialized. And we don't often have visitors up here, so that poses a bit of a prob with desensitizing him to strangers.
When I'm there he goes behind me and barks until I tell him to shutup. When I'm a distance away or not there is when he goes at them. Which leads to the problem of correcting him.
Does Anon have any ideas as how to correct this?
Apparently giving him a quick kick is inhumane (so say the people he's went after), though with his personality I think he'd think thrice before doing it again.
