Frogs tend to have long limbs, smooth slimy skin, and are usually found in moist areas or in a body of water. Toads have very rough skin, they are generally short and stocky bodied (hence calling a short unattractive person a "toad"), and are usually found on the ground, under some sort of cover or debris, like a brush pile or bush. Without knowing region, I would estimate that OP pic is of a female Hyla of some sort, possibly a green tree frog (most common tree frog in the lower US). IIRC throats are generally darker on males.
