File :-(, x)
I have three dogs, my eldest is a purebred GSD and my other two are GSD mixes of some sort. My Caesar (attatched pic) is 6 and a half and he has hip displasia pretty bad, but not as bad as my 3 year old dog, Miller. :(
The best thing about these dogs is their intuition. They KNOW when there's a problem and when to protect people, which people are shady, how to handle situations, without any training in my experience. My dogs are all excellent guard dogs but also fantastic companians.
My little brother has autism, so a lot of his friends are all special-needs kids (autism, down syndrome, things like that) and my dogs play so gently with these kids. One of them that comes over a lot is extremely shy, 15 years old, and barely ever talks because he has a really bad speech impediment. The teachers at his school are trying to encourage him but it's really hard. When he comes over, however, he'll run around with the dogs shrieking and yelling and singing and having a great time overall.
