I have a plant that used to be an outside plant. With the onset of winter I brought the plant inside my basement apartment and put it up on the shelf by the kitchen window.
The plant's leaves have become brittle but remain green, I am watering the plant every day and the plant now receives light from an eight dollar plant light in the kitchen.
Is this enough for the plant to avoid starving?

Could have some mineral deficiencies if you've limited its soil supply. I'm no plant expert though.
