animal testing ftw. I want my anti-cancer drugs damnit. Animal rights terrorists are just as ignorant and stupid as any other person that decides terroism is the way to change things.
Protestors are not all bad though, especially when protesting about shitty conditions in animal shelters and such. Its just the ones against medical testing really get my goat.
And the ones that a few years ago decided releasing all the mink from a fur-farm into the countryside around it, without realising that the mink would then decimate the local wildlife. And so on.

Original content btw, taken in namibia recently by my dad.

I've never actually went out and protested, though I've thought about it. I'm not opposed to all animal testing; I'm ok with the ones that will benefit them too (animals also need a cure for cancer, for instance). I do however favor sane approaches to changing things.

oh yeah sure
and killing you will bring me saftey so why shouldn't I do it?

Animal testing is win as long as it's done for legitamate reasons. If you gotta kill some rats and monkies to cure AIDS and cancer, go for it. But doing it for trivial shit like testing cosmetics is going too far.

This is true, and I totally agree. BUT, if you've got to test animals (for legitimate reasons--shampoo and eyeliner are BS reasons), they might as well be kept in humane conditions. Often they are kept in very poor facilities. I'm quite fine with the idea that a couple dozen monkeys and lab rats died to create a cure for cancer or AIDS; hell, even a couple thousand if need be. But as long as we're acknowledging that those animals were a legitimate sacrifice, we might as well keep them well-fed and happy. And they're frequently not, which I see as pretty good grounds for protests, though I've never gone on one myself. I just buy non-animal tested shampoo.
