We have African Hunting Dogs at my local zoo, but everyone is always calling them Hyenas. I then correct them, and then tell them that Hyenas arent canines. They always get pissed off at me. Their fault for not knowing, I was just trying to help.

Feliformia order, right?

Couple weeks ago my Biology class went to the local zoo....my god I've never seen so much fail. This one nigra bitch in my class who looks like a fucking chimp called a tiger a lion.

This is the nigra chimp, in case anyone wants to lawl at her features: http://www.myspace.com/patcann

I guess? I don't think the idiots would know the difference between Hyenas and Aardwolves.

Odd thing about the African Wild/Hunting Dogs at the zoo is that they will occasionally get in a line and start running in circles, like they are training...or something. Although this might just be an odd behavior brought about because their enclosure is so damn small, not cage small or anything, but still fairly small. Whereas the gorillas next to them have 2 fucking giant enclosures.

Hyenas aren't canines?
>> Anonymous
aardwolves are a subspecies of hyena

but instead of running down zebras and eating them alive, they chose the easier option of just eating termites
hence the small size and weaker jaws!! tho ive read stories bout them chasing leopards up trees

my god leopards truly are pussys!!!

>aardwolves are a subspecies of hyena
>subspecies of hyena
>subspecies

...I hope you meant subFAMILY.
>> Anonymous
roughly the same thing but subspecies would probly be more apt, as theyve evolved to be diffrent from other hyenas.subfamily would suggest that they were similar, but wiki says theyre not

You don't have any idea what species and family even mean in classification, do you?

FUCK you fail so hard.

Wikipedia, which you obviously had to refer to before sharing your pearls of ignorance with the rest of us, has the correct taxonomic classifications right there on the right fucking side of the screen.

Aardwolves and hyenas are hyaenids from the family hyaenidae; Hyenas belong to the subfamily Hyaeninae and Aardwolves to the subfamily Protelinae.

I seriously hope you're just extreme underage B&.
