I have a cicada. Lethartic, is there a way to feed them or is it a lost cause?
not sure about feeding thembut if i hear one more buzzing outside my house im just gonna start shooting trees hoping i randomly hit one
>>284930Most cicadas drink the sweet sap from trees by boring a hole through the bark. It's also going to die within the month.
cicadas? I dunno. I always heard that they eat tree sap, sooo try some of that I guess?
They drink Tree sap I'm pretty sure. Just let the thing go. You shouldn't keep wild creatures and call them ted.
They don't live long once they grow wings. They're at the end of their life cycle by that point.
If you hold still long enough they'll try to bore into you, thinking you're a tree.I'm not making this up. Thankfully they don't like blood and notice pretty quickly something is seriously amiss.
They live under ground for nearly 7 years and come out for metamorphosis (for mating purposes too). I'd say there's very little luck and purpose in keeping it as a pet.
Eat it.

hmm... the kind in the picture doesn't have a mouth as an adult. most don't have actual digestive systems that can handle food that isn't liquid.
