What plant is this?

Is this a normal lotus that would grow if it were in a good tank or a miniature one that will never get much bigger that the ones in the pic?

not a lotus but some type of water lily. Dont know exact botanical name or anything but many have leaves that dont get bigger than 2-4 inches. I dont know how well hey would do in a tank environment though.

Well the smallest lotus species I know of still grows to a couple feet. Could be a smaller species, or it could be a bonsai type deal. If you were to plant it in a "good tank" you would need to have adequate air space, and lighting for it to grow, and live.

Looks like Hydrocotyle vulgaris... the water pennywort. It grows like the OP pic when in water.

Maybe, but the seed looks too big.

The seed looks just like lotus seed
