Flea Trouble Paranor
Hello there /an/ I am having some trouble with my cat. She is flea covered! I have given her flea baths, I have combed her. Hell, I have even shaved her to try and get rid of the little pests. But they just keep on coming back! Is there any way I can get rid of them?
Pic related, its my cat.

tl;dr: My cat has fleas that won't go away. Help

You are a carrier.

Take a bath.

Have you cleaned your linens, carpets, rugs, upholstery, and every cloth-like surface in the house? Including cat toys and stuffed animals? If not, that's probably why your cat keeps picking up fleas. And if she goes outside, you need to keep some kind of flea medication on hand.

Thank you, I have cleaned out her toys, the carpet, and the curtains.
Do you have any good medication recommendations? The medication I get seems to not cut it. She is an indoors cat.

If she's an indoors cat, who does that mean brought in the fleas? I believe>>271440was on the right track.

I have other cats, and they go outside. Its most likely them since they come inside as well...

I like how people come on here asking for help while leaving out key pieces of information like I HAVE OTHER CATS WHO GO OUTSIDE. Why, then, is it such a mystery as to why this other cat keeps getting fleas?

I remember when our cats had fleas we'd use a drop of that flea killer that starts with a P, like Pro- something? and we never had fleas again

You are considered to be a bad owner.

Go to your vet and buy a few doses of feline advantage. You need to buy more than once dose. The first one will kill the adults, but if you don't treat her a second dose a month later, the flea babies will hatch and take over again. It's expensive, but you need to open up your damn purse and drop the dime on the good shit - the crap that they sell over the counter at pet stores have been known to cause balding, allergic reactions as well as death.

You also need to deep clean your house. Vaccume very well, and in all the places you normally wouldn't - like under your bed, in the shoe closet, in the corners behind your entertainment set - EVERYWHERE. Fleas can live in the carpet and in shoes and on bed skirts until it's safe to come out and just reinfest all over again.

Once you've vaccumed, you need to remove the entire bag (if your vaccume isn't a bagless type) and toss it in the garbage OUTSIDE. Not in the garage or kitchen or anywhere else. You need to treat these fuckers like the plague.

Fleas are also a major source for intestinal worms. (Aside from eatting wild caught things)You should ask your vet while you're there about procedures for deworming your cat from intestinal worms. (two major types of worms: heart and intestinal) It wouldn't hurt to do both at the same time, actually. Heartworm medication requires a test though. It's potentially lethal to give a pet heartworm meds if they've already got heartworms.
