what is this cat's breed? i was told that it was a persian, but i have my doubts. it has a somewhat long coat, but it doesn't have a hit-with-a-frying-pan face. anyone?

Traditional Persians don't have flat faces, but really cute faces. I own one. And yeah, the face on this guy is really similar. Really sweet cats, too.
