I have a question /an/.
Can ball pythons become aggressive for no reason? My ball python, the sweetest little girl in the world who I've raised since a hatchling, struck me today for the first time.
There was no reason, I was just picking her up to move her to the other side of the cage to change her water, and she tagged me on my thumb.
I think she might be gravid. Does gravid females typipcally get aggressive?

Ball Pythons usually have a very lax temperament. Has she continued to be aggressive?

Yes, she keeps striking, but has not tagged me or my boyfriend.
I'm very worried about her, she never acted like this before...

is she close to shedding, or was there any food in the cage, it could also be that she is hungery...

another thing, if your skin is really warm, they don't see how we do, they see in heat variations, she could just be reacting to movement in the cage.

something could of injured her, might wanna find a way to examine her body for any injuries.
