So /an/, I was wondering. You guys seem to know a bit about breeds. This cat was found on the streets and taken in by some lady, who already had like six other cats, so we asked and she gave her to us, saying she was a calico. We named her Roze and all was well. Except, she doesn't meow, like ever. When she's in heat she makes a strange sound that sounds like she's gurgling "hello"- from what I've seen she uses this to attract males. At other times, she only yowls if you pick her up or if you dangle some food above her head. My mom says she remembers a veterinarian show saying something about a special breed that has long hair in it's ears and meows weirdly, and I'd like to know what this breed is and if my cat is one of these. She's ended up pregnant because my brother was irresponsible and let her outside while she was in heat- will her kittens be little bundles of money or something? From what we saw she had five toms, two ginger and three dark brown and black.

I had a cat who looked like her for 8 years with almost identical markings. Had a whiny meow.

It sounds like you have the exotic breed known to cat enthusiasts as "domestic longhair". The babies would undoubtedly fetch a small fortune on eBay.

No.

unless one of the future kittens is a male calico then no

This cat's supposed to be a calico? Is she sitting on her orange parts or something? From here, she looks like a regular mutt. :/

Also, you suck for not having her spayed as soon as you got her. Your brother's not the irresponsible one, lol.

There is nothing wrong with mutts, anonymous, so stop being a collective ass.

That Calico cat is a mutt too, considering Calico is a color, not a breed.

First, you live with your mother and brother? Underage b&.

Second,>>142586is right, you should have gotten her spayed. You saw she had five toms? Were you just standing around watching, or what?

Third, Calico is indeed a color pattern, not a breed. To be calico, your cat must have white, black/gray, and orange. Black and white patterns are cute too, though.

Mutts > any "breed" that is to say "horrific inbred abomination wrought from megele-esque artificial biological desperation by the clumsy and infantile hands of man"
