Soft Claws Anonymous
Hi /an/,

I recently got a leather couch and I have a cat.

No, my cat does not seek to shred the couch out of existence, she actually loooooves her post and regards any other shareable item with typical feline disdain, but there is a catch.

My cat is lively and very animated. She loves to run around like a little tornado all over the house. So while she doesn't actively seek to destroy my furniture, I recently discovered that running claw marks are quite visible on leather (yea, go figure).

So I did some research, found Soft Claws, and would like /an/'s opinion on these things.

I just clip my cats' nails monthly. Much cheaper than buying Soft Claws/Soft Paws replacement caps, and my cats can't chew them off.

I know people who swear by them, though. I think they just like the idea of their cat having pink nails.

Some cats will chew them off in a matter of days, some won't even know that they are on. Try 'em out and see how she reacts.
