KZN
Hello, /an/. I'm looking for pictures of HUGE SEA MONSTERS.

I am not really familiar with /an/'s customs, so I don't know if fictional animals are allowed, but...

1. All images of animals and nature are welcome.
2. Posting images depicting animal cruelty is strictly forbidden.

The rules don't forbid it. Anyways, if it's not allowed, then ITT dinosaurs or reptiles in general.

tl;dr- ITT sea monsters.

I saw that. I was wondering if it was more /an/ than /x/ content. I thought possibly the thread would get a better response here.

Here are some real extinct sea monsters. Even the smallest creatures in the pic are over 2 m long, so the biggest certainly fit the definition of huge.

A number of these are from an old Creature of the Week challenge ConceptArt.org.

I would love to see a leedsichthys in person, a real living one, just so I can shit myself. It would be such a pants-shitting experience, it would transcend to spiritual.

Some of those sizes are wrong, though. That Xiphactinus is WAY too big, and I don't think the giant orthocone and sea scorpion are exactly to scale, either (though they're only a couple feet too big).

The rest seem to check out, though.

Didn't they find a giant sea scorpion over 2 m long just recently?

Yes, and they've known of a couple other species almost as long for a while, now. But the animals in that picture are all from the BBC series Chased by Sea Monsters, and the sea scorpion used for that program (and as a result, shown in the picture) was Megalograptus. For specifically being a Megalograptus, it's a fair bit too big.

no, it's from a graphic benchmark movie.
