Ok guys, I have an approximately 2 year old outdoor cat. Just tonight he came inside meowing, shivering, and constantly hiding. I haven't seen him get a wink of sleep either. What is the problem and potential solutions?

kill it

Is it cold where you live?

Yes. But it's been hours now since he came inside and he's still at it.

All right...he's limited his meowing to whenever I approach him. He's still just lying there with his eyes open though.

This is the risk you take for letting your cat outside, faggot.
Enjoy your traumatized cat.

Well, he's probably sick. Take him to the vet.

He probably either ate something he shouldn't have eaten, he's got a cold or the flu, or something scared the crap out of him and he's still freaking out.

Take him to a vet just to be sure. It doesn't sound like he's in danger of dying, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Could be cold, flu, or he got scared.
Either that or he got raeped by another cat/ animal with penis about the size of a cat's.

earthquake is coming, epic huge one so bad that the cat couldn't find a hiding spot and feel safe. Nice knowing you OP

sounds to me like he met a dog. Depending upon where you live it could have been something worse, maybe even a coyote.
Every cat my family has ever lost met its end in the jaws of some stray dog. Don't have an outdoor cat unless it has its claws and plenty of nearby trees to climb.
