Hey /an/ - any ideas on species? It looked weighed down, almost like a queen about to lay a shit-ton of eggs.. you can see the huge abdomen there..

Kinda just fell out of the sky, half trying to fly, then giving up and just walking along the driveway toward some bushes. It was really friendly ^.^

Some sort of wasp. The only ones I know of that fold their wings like that are Mud Daubers.

it might look friendly but i would stay away from it, mud wasps are known to leave really painful stings

Ha ha.. I caught one of these buggers about a month ago and was wondering what the heck it was. My mom's boyfriend stomped on its head and completely took it off, but it still buzzed it's wings and if I pressed it's abdomen it tried to sting me. It was still alive after a couple of days, headless.
