Hey, furries.
First time /an/ visitor here.
I found this little lizard looking thing lurking my house just now.

I put a piece of a hot dog in the container I put him in, and he's not eating it. What do I do now?

Picture semi related, as I can't find my camera.

I'm not savvy with wild-life, but maybe the little guy's diet doesn't include hotdogs. Or maybe he's not hungry.

Try finding out what sort of lizard he is, look up what they eat, go from there.

Or you could set him free outside.

If you really want to keep him, you'd best make sure you don't kill him. :|

Most lizards, unless they are komodo dragon or moniter lizards, do not eat meat, per-se. They eat insects. Try offering him a small earth worm or fly or even some ants. I'm sure he'd much rather have those.

But keep in mind that some lizards are actually vegetarians, like iguanas and whatnot. They need chopped carrots, grape slices and supplements which can be bought from a vet or pet store..

Also, if ya really want to find out what kind of lizard it is, bring it to a local pet store, vet office, or zoo and ask some employee.

>> local pet store

Considering that most pet stores can't tell the difference between a male and female rat when males have fucking massive balls probably not the best option.
