Hey /an/

I had a very special tree but sadly my mother killed it because it was already dying, all the leaves became crunchy and for the past two-three weeks it hasn't changed.

Anyway, it just popped up in my garden one day. I currently live in Ottawa, Canada, so you can imagine the weather as being brutal and temperate (maybe even the sort evergreens live in).

The flowers were the nicest part, though. Red petals, like 2-4 of them, with these lovely purple (bulbs? the actual flower part) and yellow hanging (things were the flower sperm is, lol). They were gorgeous.

Does /an/ have any idea what they could have been? And if it's a unique/new/rare species, what are the chances that I could save it? It's currently got no leaves and has been sitting out in the Canadian frost for around 15 minutes. :(

The flower you describe sounds like a fuschia, but I wouldn't call it a tree. The picture you posted is a sheep.

Thank you anon!

/an/ is my hero. I had no idea what the planet was, so I couldn't post a sensible picture.

Looks a lot like those, except it was a very deep purple and yellow tipped stem stuff.

Nonetheless, thank you anon. Eventually I will go back on a search for one of these magnificent plants.
