Hello /an/

I have had a Seal Point Siamese cat for 12 years now and it's quite loyal and territorial. Someone I know just got a batch of Siamese cats and they're giving them away for FREE. My dad said he would pick one up if that was the case, do you think it'd be a good idea to bring a new cat into the household? I know for a fact my cat would be pissed at the start but its very smart and I think would accept it.

Is it fair for my old cat? Would it be better off alone or would it enjoy a young companion after a while?

Sorry no pics of my cat on this computer so I give you a generic seal point siamese picture.

Is it a male or female? Strangely enough, neutered males will more easily accept new kittens.

It's a female, fixed too. It can be quite the bitch, but its mellowing out as it gets older.

just dont expect any miracles from your older cat right away, introduce them to each other, but i dont recommend leaving them alone together(like when you leave the house).lock the kitten in another room away from your cat to be safe.
I have an older cat who is kinda mean to other cats and he got over the whole new kitten thing after a while. but dont leave em alone cause even if hes not intentionally trying to kill the kitten, hes just so much bigger the new cat could really get hurt.

Actually cats have a very clear idea of what an infant is, and what can and can't be done with one, so they won't hurt them unintentionally. Intentionally, on the other hand...
