I know /an/ loves nature and espcialy /an/imals, but these fucking critters are everywhere. Ever time I would see some, I would spray and wipe out a line and I would spray the hole where they were coming out from.

I would have kept doing that but I have a cat now and they're all up in my cats food. I don't keep any human food in my bedroom, but I do eat here. There are also /an/ts around my kitchen. Again, I sprayed inspecticides on them and where they were coming out of, but they persist.

I bought a box of HotShot floggers, but it's too late for today. I'm thinking of setting them off tomorrow.

I live in an apartment with carpeting, which is the biggest problem I have. I don't want to ruin the carpet.

Any suggestions?

You need to find their nest and destroy it. And you don't need any chemicals or shit, boiling water will suffice, find their nest and pour that shit in it to destroy the colony.

I live in a second floor apartment. I just see them coming in and out of walls. They make small holes next to ones I've covered up.

Does the nest have to be in the ground?

No, the nest can be anywhere. My last place had a nest behind a kitchen dresser.
Around here we use Antrid. It's a mixture of honey (to attract the ant) and borax (to kill it). Since the borax takes 24 hours to work the ant takes it back to the nest and passes it on. It can wipe out a whole nest in a couple of days.
