Yeah, declawing is painful for cats. Yeah, some cats live on in phantom pain, much like some humans do with their limbs removed. Guess what, cat still lives. It's not that big a fucking disability that you need to freak out every time the mere EXISTENCE of a declawed cat is mentioned, whether the owner is the one who got it declawed or no. Seriously, it's ALREADY BEEN DECLAWED, whether you like it or not. What the fuck do you want the owner to do, put it down before it lives out the rest of its life in possible phantom pain?
If you think declawed cats all live in so much fucking pain and disability that would hamper their quality of life, go round them up and put them down en masse instead of sprouting empty bullshit rhetoric.
