Spiders Anonymous
Hey guys I need some help. In the last couple of days my dog's been acting funny and has all of these weird sores all over her. I just went out for a cigarette and there were something like 30 spiders crawling all over the stones in the bottom of the garden. They're black with weird white markings, fast as hell and just bigger than a thumb nail. I've enclosed a pic, does anyone know what kind of spider it is?

They look like a wolf spider. Nevertheless, your dog's weird sores are more likely to be from mange or allergies to food and/or dog shampoo than spider bites: spiders rarely attack as one and it's very very rare for spiders to be able to "bite all over".

soo, maybe you should take your dog to the vet instead of asking the internet for their opinion. O_o your dog is sick odvously. grow up.

i agree with this anon. it's really hard to tell what type of spider it is..but it does look like a wolf spider. also..it is HIGHLY unlikely that teams of spiders are attacking your dog. i'd take it to the vet and see what the real culprit is.

If they run fast they probably are wolf spiders, either way they're harmless.
We can't ID a spider unless you say where you live. This should be in the rules for /an/. Sounds to me like your dog's having an allergic reaction to something, probably fleas.
