Dear /an/

Mah new kitten is 11 days old and it's starting to open her eyes -she's so cute....

I've had her for three days now and i've been feeding her kitten formula with a nursing bottle, and afterwards I've been empting her bladder by rubbing her stomach and all, the problem is, she seems to have associated feeding with urinating and wets her blankets every time I feed her now.

Is there anythign I can do to prevent this or help her learn there is a time for eating and a different time for peeing?

Pic not related, but i promise i'll post some if u help me with this :3

Set up a litter box for her. She may not know immediately its use, but could always help.

huh, isn't it simple?

just do the tummy thing a while after you feed her. feed her, wait a few hours, and have her pee. It's good if you have her do it in a litterbox, though.

What happened to the poor thing's mommy?

Op here.

Dunno wt happenned to her mom, but the most likely thing is that the mom's owners just threw the litter away... it's very common where I live, since there aren't any laws that protect animals.

I was given mah kitteh by one of mah students, I think she found the litter and looked for owners for the rest of the kitten.

Let training be the least of your worries right now.

Make sure that the kitten is always clean. Since it doesn't have a mother or siblings to groom her and apparently it's making a habit of peeing where it sleeps, she will get really dirty really fast, and might get pretty sick.

Just gently rub her with a damp towel every once in a while, and make sure you change her blankets often.

I hope you know she needs help to defecate- you need to messege her behind with moist cotton-wool.
she's 11 days old- she can't control her anus muscles yet, they aren't fully devloped.
I recommend you to see a vet for a professional help- kittens these young are very jeantle and can easily die if not treated right.

It's very kind of you to help the kitten- I hope you'll live happy lives together and that you'll castrate her when she's 6 monthes old. :)

I've been doing that, and so far she's ok, now she has fully opened her both eyes and they are turning green ^^ Also, she crawls around a lot whenever she wakes up and I think that's a good sign...

I think that's a good sign too.

Here a kitten I found once- I took care of him for a couple of days before I found someone who'll take care of him instead, and she found him a good home.
I hate kittens so bad, he was awful noisy brat.
... But so adorable in the same time D;

Hi again /an/

I got my two cats on loan for 3 weeks and 1 week to go. They've adapted well and even come into my room when I go to bed.

The problem is that since 2 days ago D has been acting weird. She has been prostrating herself and making groaning / moaning noises while rubbing herself over everything constantly.

I'm not sure if she is neutered or not, but Sammy (The male cat) doesn't take any interest in her.

What's wrong :(
