Alaska = 63,267 sq mi Hawaii = 10,931 sq mi The United States (not including Puerto Rico, etc) = 3,718,695 sq mi Following this, the size of the continental U.S. = 3,718,695-633,267-10,931 = 3,044,497 sq mi 3,044,497/2 = 1,522,248.5 sq miles
1,522,248.5 sq miles = a whole hell of a lot larger than Alaska's 62,267 square miles.
I'd suggest you look at a map before making such an outrageously false claim like saying Alaska is half the size of the continental U.S.
Alaska's huge, there's no doubting that. But Americans in any part of the country have the right to be concerned about the ecology of all of our country. Its because we haven't been concerned in the past that the ecological health of the country as a whole has declined.
This whole, "You're not from my state, you don't have a right to say anything" is pretty flawed logic.
