I have one, and have had her for a year now. First you'll need a 20, 30, or 40 gallon tank. 20 should be fine for a juvenile. If you don't mind your snake hiding a lot, you can get aspen bedding, but I would recommend EcoEarth coconut shavings for bedding. It's really smooth, doesn't get stuck in the scales, nor does it irritate the snake at all and it's really easy to clean. You'll need a heating pad, either a household one or one made for reptiles and put it under the bedding. Do NOT use a heating rock - the snake will burn itself. Get a Barometer and Thermometer (Ball pythons are tropical, they need a lot of humidity). Then you'll need a water dish, something it can easily fit its whole body into and get out of. Get some terrarium decorations and make it a hiding spot, preferably where the heating pad is at.
You'll also need to get some sprays. Get Four Paws brand Vita-Spray, Zilla Brand Tropical Mist, and Zoo-Med brand shedding aid. You'll need the first two every day, the third is for when the snake starts to shed, it helps dramatically.
Then get some frozen mice (Pinkies and fuzzies for juveniles, large mice and rats for adults) and you'll be set!
Feed the snake every time you see it poop. And, of course, clean the poop out of the tank or it gets stinky.
It's also a good idea to clean out the entire tank bi monthly, but it's not a must. Keep the water clean.. blah blah blah. I think you get the point now, lol.
