looks like you caught hte bed bug in a its "young adult stage" and yes....they can harm you. their bites itch and look like acne or break outs. not to mention the fact that they can in fact spread diease. you need to seriously get rid of your bed/ mattress this minute. I'm not kidding. Get rid of it....wash ALL of your sheets in hot water. then call pest control. theyn eed to check your entire house...not just your room. bed bugs live everywhere...and if you have them at a young stage...then you have adults all over the place and the eggs. please, for your own sake, call pest control.

Don't listen to this retard, OP.

We had bedbugs when I was around seventeen. Just call an exterminator, no need to get rid of your mattress. Your whole house is probably infested though, shit sux.

Actually, don't listen to this retard, or any retard in this thread, OP. Bedbugs are a normal part of urban/suburban life. There's no real avoiding them. Though, if they're big enough to actually photograph, it means you're not washing your sheets enough, or vacuuming your mattress enough. Do more of both and you'll be okay.

Lies. They were practically gone from most of America due to increased hygiene of the last century. The influx of immigrants from Mexico, Eastern Europe, and other less advantaged countries in the last couple decades have seen a corresponding increase in bed bugs. They're also more resistant to some pesticides than they used to be.

My brother's family had a problem with them not too long ago. Got them from a sleepover. Don't need to destroy your mattress, but it is damn hard to get rid of them. Good luck. And call the experts right now!

Get something with NEEM TREE oil in it and citrus. Emphasis on the NEEM. It is in natural bug repellent. Bedbugs hate it and will not go near it, and it is non toxic.

just wash the hell out of your sheets, clean your mattress or get a new one...just to be safe. then seriously call the pest guys. Don't go out and torch your mattress or anything, but definately call the pest control.

Don't listen to any of these fags, OP. Get outta there and nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

What the fuck are you talking about, ALL mattresses have bed bugs, the sooner you admit it, the sooner you will realize that they are actually completely harmless.

Go to the nearest park, sit on a bench or sit in the grass, go home, sit on your bed and yay, you now have thousands of bedbugs!
Enjoy them.

Never go to these guys houses.

Most homes DONT have bedbugs. You need to have your house treated. Not only can bedbugs be a hazard to your health but they can damage your stuff. They leave stains on walls, beds, etc making them unsightly. But I'd be more concerned with them giving you a disease. Its like a room filled with squishable ticks.

They also make a rather distinct unpleasant odor after they've been feeding and defecating in one place for a while. It's unmistakable.
