College owning a cougar Anonymous
Yo /an/
I was trying to find out what it took to get a cougar. Specifically, I wanted to know how much one costs. Any idea?
>> Anonymous
Probably around $5,000. Though, the cost of the cougar is the least of your worries. Feeding it will be much more expensive.

Feeding, Vet costs, caretakers, creating a *GOOD* enviroment for it, etc. etc.

Best to get yourself a dog or something.

if you're asking 4chan, you're not qualified to competent enough to own a cougar.

OP feeding it is about $2 per day. (according to the zoo around here). It isn't for me (look at the subject) I'm asking for a price, not for care instructions.

The salary of the keeper, the price of the land for it to live on and the structure to keep it safe, the price of the food and medications, the permits, the training (unless you want an animal that'll rip your throat out), is obviously more than you can ever afford.

The land is already bought (no expense)

So what, you're going to keep him in the soccer field? Chances are you don't even know what kind of environment it needs. What if you live somewhere where it gets cold in the winter? Guess what, it can't live there.
If your school wants a mascot, go find an animal trainer who already has one. The school shouldn't just buy their own, and they probably won't be able to legally.

If you're going to reply then make a useful one.

Legally they can and cougars already live in the wild in the area around the school. Besides, it would have shelter from the environment.

...

You do realize that cougars live as far north as the southern portion of the Yukon territory in Canada, right?

What on Earth college would want to own a cougar? Why? And for fuck's sake, why are you asking 4chan about prices of all things?
You need a license, by the way. Have fun on that one.

get /b/tard instead. they're much more entertaining and very easy to care for.

This is, in general, a good rule. However, keeping a cougar can be done. I'm not sure of the specifics, but check out this site:
