Hey, /an/, what's going on?

Picture unrelated to start off with.

Now, I have three cats. One old, one medium-ish'd aged, and a young cat, but not a kitten. They're all female.

Now, my sister just moved in and brought another cat in the house. It's as young as our youngest one, young, but not a kitten. Now, the two youngest are constantly fighting. The youngest female and the male. Always in close proximity and hissing/growling at each other.

It usually stays away from the older ones, but there's a bit of hissing between those three as well.

Any ideas what's going on and what I can do? Because the two young ones got into a huge catfight, lots of loud growling, hissing, and scratching, and it can't happen again as it woke some people up.

Halp, /an/?

The cats are just being territorial with a new comer, most animals in general do that.

Give them a few weeks and they'll get used to the new cat. Until then, try and give the new cat a separate bowl and litter box to avoid conflict. Little by little, integrate the bowls if you want, might help them get used to each other.

Just keep an eye on them in the mean time.
