they have horrible personalities - kind of a drama queen

I don't want a fish. I had a fish for nine years then one day it just decided to be an idiot and jump out of its bowl. Silly Goldfish.

Anyway, there has to be some redeeming quality?

We used to have a Siamese/manx female. She absolutely loved us and wasn't aggressive at all (which was great for my parents, I was 4 at the time). Dogs, however, she tore up.

A friend of mine has a Siamese cat that's the sweetest thing ever. I think it's mostly about how they're raised.

So as long as I shower it with affection as a kitty it won't be a jerk? (when it grows up)

That's the general rule with most cats. Just don't overdo it, they'll turn into vaginas.

They are the best type of cat. More intelligent, fun, and are the best looking all breeds. They have the largest vocabulary of any cat. And chicks will enjoy giving you head more knowing that you own a such a bad-ass cat. Just owning one gives you total superiority over others as well as bringing you good luck and fortune. Just remember to give it a prestigious name to remind others of their place in your social order.

How much do Siamese cost? Also, I wasallergic to cats(when I was a baby I probably still am), is there some sort of medicine I can take?

My mother got her old-style siamese from a breeder for $500 and she was lucky she found them. They are the CUTEST fuckers in the fucking world. They very good, well mannered cats.

I'm SUPER fucking allergic to them but no other breeds ...I don't see my mother much...

Siamese are beautiful cats. My grandfather had one that would come when he whistled for it. He was very well-natured, didn't seem to be too vocal, no more than any other cat I've had. He lived to be 18 years old, too. My aunt and uncle bought a kitten about a year ago, and it was the most mischevious, playful little fucker ever. I love him. Their points get darker as they get older, too, I noticed.

I highly reccomend them. Both of the ones I've known have been nothing but awesome.

Very people-oriented cats. I don't know what the anons above are talking about-- all Siamese I've known, and heard people talk about- were sweethearts. Heavily attached to their owners, talked a lot, followed them around the house, ect. Very good cats!

Siamese can be cruel, heartless bastards.

My mother had two, one was named Ray (of light) and the other Shadow because their personalities were completely opposite. Shadow was genuinely mean-spirited and avoided people, growled alot. Ray was always in your lap, would follow you, actively seek your attention, and purred louder than a car.

Shadow would kill every living animal that trespassed, and Ray seemed oblivious.

The thing is, they were brother (Ray) and sister (Shadow), and raised in the same household in the same manner. I'm not sure what makes one different from the other, but my mother said it has to do with the amount of attention they received as kittens.

Get them as kittens, and expose them to you as much as possible (even if they don't like it), but don't be rough or forceful. Just get them used to you. I think that's the only way you can influence their 'social' nature.

Otherwise, it's pretty much luck of the draw.

Thanks.

I had a Siamese, lovable little shit, but he would always escape from the house and fight with the neighbor's pitbull.

One day, he lost the fight.

My family had a siamese mix who was a year old when I was born. She lived to be 18.5 years. She was very (VERY) protective of my sister and myself, made sure my mom never drowned in the morning bath, hated the dog, and in general had a very queen personality. Siamese seem to be very loyal to their family and cautious (but not aggressive) towards other. Just be prepared for a cat who is truly and utterly convinced they are human.

I had one that lived to be seventeen years old. She was usually really sweet and very very vocal. Mine didn't like small children though and they're usually one person cats.

They LOVE talking... like, so much that you'll go insane if you aren't careful.
