it's a troll. But for you dumbfucks who go "aaaaaww I want a wolf cub!", you are fucking idiots.

If you EVER find a wild animal, especially of the carnivorous nature, don't touch it and call animal control or an animal sanctuary. If it is dying, treat it with caution, as you do not know if it has rabies, but don't keep it; again animal control or sanctuary.

shit, I think that's a bear :/ get rid of it

I wouldn't have a wolf as a pet.
I would treat it as my equal and it would get to do whatever the fuck it wanted.
>> Anonymous
If this was real I'd be confused as if to consider this awesome or retarded.
>> Anonymous
If it was a real wolf pup, it would be okay to keep until animal control/sanctuary people got to it. But in most parts of the states, it's illegal to keep a full blooded wolf as a pet. Yet here where I live they can be up to 95% and be considered legal. Retarded as hell.
Wolf Hybrids actually make very good pets for people who know how to care for them. The most loyal dog you'll ever have, and most loving as well.

Fact: No, they aren't.
Canis Lupus and Canis Familaris are two different species. That is BASIC biology/zoology. Dumbfuck.

Now, if you're trying to say that dogs derived from wolves, then that is correct, but they are not the same species.

Dogs are a subspecies of the wolf

Canis lupus familiaris

>>285129

They're actually Canis lupus lupus and Canis lupus familiaris and therefore ARE the same species. That is BASIC biology/zoology. Dumbfuck.

For fuck's sake, whether the domestic dog is a subspecies of grey wolf or an individual species varies depends on the scientific authority. Some organizations, such as the American Society of Mammologists, reclassified it as a subspecies in the early 90's after genetic testing found domestic dogs to be too similiar to wolves to differentiate, whereas other groups still consider it a separate species. It's considered debatable.

Only furries and new-age hippies say wolves and wolf-hybrids make good pets. Everyone who actually work with wolves for a living (park rangers, scientists, etc) say otherwise.

I think it depends a lot on how you raise it. If you've had experience and are willing to devote the time, I'm sure a wolf-hybrid could be a good companion. But if you're a jackass and just want one to be cool you're probably going to put yourself, your neighbors, and the animal through hell.

I don't think people should go out of their way to breed wolf-hybrids, but seeing as there are some around who need homes, running a sanctuary is a touch job, and the animals can actually be good companions for the right people, having one does not automatically make someone a hippie or newager IMHO. Again, so long as they're responsible.

But people will ignore this, as it doesn't fuel the flamewar.

I have worked with wolves, and I still say hybrids make good pets. TO THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, as I said before.
>> Anonymous
OP here. I am disappointed with you, /an/. The inevitable flamewar started, which is good, but not one of you, NOT ONE, said to name the puppy Biscuit. I ASKED YOU TO NAME AN ANIMAL, AND NO ONE SAYS BUISCUIT. YOU FAIL.

Much like how africans are an entirely different species from baseline humanity.
>> Anonymous
>>285593
where did that come from? go back to /b/ with that shit
>> Anonymous
>>285593
i hate to break your warm fuzzy bubble of racism, but its pretty common knowledge that humanity originated in Africa. Africans ARE baseline humanity
>> Anonymous
I say wolf hybred cub. Name it GARcher.
>> Anonymous
it looks wolfish, name it killer
>> Anonymous
>>285608
it's true. All other forms of humanity are more highly evolved than the african, having adapted to the harsher conditions of climates such as Europe as opposed to lounging around the jungle eating bananas until white men with boomsticks started showing up.
>> Anonymous
>>285608
Humanity didn't originate in Africa.

It originated in the garden of Eden, where God made Adam out of clay.

Get a clue.

It doesn't matter if that puppy would grow up and gnaw your arm off, it's still damn cute.
