ITT weird stuff your pets do.

If you scratch the base of my dogs tail, she'll repeatably flick her tongue in and out.

And my cat likes the taste of ear wax. Which sucks for me because she tries to lick the inside of my or anyone else's ear. If you'd like to know the feeling, wet some sandpaper and rub it on the inside of your ear.

One of my cats has an obsession with cleaning my hair. He will hop onto my lap and act like he just wants to be petted. After a minute or so he will stand up and wrap his paws around my head. He doesn't sink his claws in but keeps them out enough so that I can't get away. He will then begin cleaning my hair and usually do about 1/3 of my head before he goes to do something else.

He will usually wake me up in the morning by cleaning my hair as well as he knows this wakes me up pretty easily.

I had a dog that would play with mardi-gras beads, and would eventually get them around his neck and prance around. He loved it when you told him he was pretty.

One of my cats nurses on my ear whenever he gets a chance. Usually it's after I pass out in a drunken stupor and can't fend him off.

The kittens I'm raising try their damnedest to climb into my armpits and my crotchtal area. I assume it is because they associate my "scent" with food and see me as their parent, but it's really fucking annoying.

A friend of mine has a sheltie mix that guards a tree in their yard. He will sit near the tree for a little while, then walk around, growling, then go and sit back down in the same spot. If you approach the tree he growls, and will race across the yard to get between you and the tree. No, he isn't, nor has he ever been chained to the tree, he just.. loves that damn tree.

I have a lab (as pictured), and sometimes we have little "play" wrestling fun, she bites, but not real hard or anything, and we roll around and stuff. I have 2 much younger siblings, and she is NEVER rough with them, no matter what they do, my little brother sometimes tries to do the same thing I do with her, but she just walks away.

It's kinda funny that she knows how I can take it, but the siblings probably couldn't.

That made me think of something else the same cat likes to do. I provide my cats with plenty of toys. Mainly they have a bunch of little mice that have rattling beads inside of them. Also I have one of those plastic feather duster toys.

He will find his toys at night and bring them up onto my bed. Usually in the morning I will wake up with the feather duster and 2-3 mice in bed with me.

The cat in questions sister also is kind of quirky. She absolutely will not tolerate being picked up. However, she loves to sit on my lap when I am on the computer (as she is doing right now). My mom recently picked up a westie from a rescue society. The dog had apparently been a little bit of a problem dog in a house full of kids. Anyway, my mom then dropped the dog off with me and went on a long trip. She's like that.

The dog growls constantly. He walks around growling at himself. When he wants to play, he growls and tries to give me his toy and wags his tail. When he wants to go out, he sits next to me and growls.

He is also ridiculously forgetful. He'll be playing with the cat, the cat'll disappear, the cat'll come back an hour later, and the dog will have completely forgotten that a cat lives in the house. He'll also bark at me when I wake up in the morning and open my door.

My cat grooms my hair as well. She will only use claws if I try to get away. She'll also sleep in my armpit at night. She will beg for hard liquor, rum especially. I have to watch where I set my glass or she'll try to lick the ice, and rum can't be good for cats.
It's well known that cats like ear wax for some reason.

One of my cats will wait by the bathroom door for me to be finished with my shower. When I get out, he will lick my feet.

My other cat loves to dig in me and my husband's hair. She'll get on our shoulders when we're sitting down and start digging through our hair like she's looking for something.

When my cat was a kitten, she stayed in the bathroom at night so she wouldn't get into trouble and whenever I'd sit on the toilet she'd try and curl up into my pants while they were at my ankles.

my black cat likes to bother the other cats when they're trying to use the litter box. He'll try to climb in with them, he'll also climb on top of the litter box and bat at them. He also likes to take his toys and dump them in his water bowl.

Some of our cats used to scratch the bathroom door and meow whenever you went in there without them. One of them was a maincoon (spelling?) and she'd love to sit next to the bathtub when you were in there, pawing at the water and such. Also, she had very poor judgement when it came to leaping onto things. She'd always miss whatever it was she was leaping to. (like say she tries to leap from one couch the other she will almost always fall short...)

That same cat used to like to steal my seat at the computer too. Any time I got up for any reason she'd jump through the back of the chair and claim it. THe problem was it had a cushioned bottom that she could dig her claws into and she'd fight you with (with teeth and claw) if you tried to move her. Once you finally won she'd just jump up on your lap and stay there the whole time anyway. Stubborn little bitch. (but lovable too :3)

Another cat would sit down on the keyboard if he wanted your attention. He'd do the same thing if you reading a book or magazine too.
>> Anonymous
>>131375
Oh yeah, he'd also only play with toys and such if nobody was watching. The moment he realized he was being watched he'd stop and walk away all "cat like" pretending he wasn't actually interested at all.

My parent's dog is a fucking basketcase. She hates hats. If you are wearing a hat, she will viciously bark at you as if she wants to kill you, and as soon as the hat is off she stops. Same thing goes for hats on TV. If there is a dog on TV, she flings herself at the screen in a rabid attempt to kill it. She also tries to catch the goldfish in its tank, constantly.

Speaking of that goldfish, every night it's sleeping upside-down, and then it's fine again in the morning.

If I'm on my laptop when my dog wants my attention, he'll put his paw on the keyboard. If I pet him and then return to typing, he lays his head on the keyboard. Eventually this can continue until his whole body is on top of my laptop and I am lolling heartily.

My cat only shows me love when no one else is in the room. When alone, she won't stop rubbing up on me and jumping in to my lap, but the instant she hears someone she makes sure she's not touching me.

My sister's dog (a female lab) is fetch crazy, completely obsessed. If you are in the yard she's in front of you dropping things for you to throw. Irritating if you are carrying something heavy, I've almost tripped on things she's dropped in my path more than once. Doesn't understand a firm 'no' either, if you walk past the object then she'll just pick it up and drop it in your path again.

She had a litter of puppies a couple of years ago, and didn't want anything to do with them until we removed anything and everything that could be used to play fetch. From the entire block. Because if we don't have anything for her to play fetch with then she'll go hunting for something.

We recently purchased a puppy (husky lab cross)to be our new guard dog (the lab is less than stellar at this - will bark at a stranger a few times, then bring him or her something to throw). It's a few months old, but, as with her puppies, the lab only wants to play fetch and has stepped on the puppy a few times as it tried to play with one of her fetching toys.

I hate that fucking useless dog, but I don't have the balls to shoot it then run it over while my sister is away and call it an accident.

My kitten is kind of strange. I think he's schitzo or something. When he's down in the basement, and ONLY the basement, he runs around, making kitten gurgles and chasing things that aren't there. He gets so involved in chasing these things that he'll run into couches, pool tables, and the entertainment center.

He also likes to rub on me when I'm sleeping. Most cats like to tackle feet or sleep next to you, right? no. Mine just walks back and forth, rubbing himself on my face. He'll do this until I toss him out of my room. I let him do it for like... half an hour one morning because I didn't want to get out of bed. But the second I stepped out, he was all over my feet and clawing and biting.

My cat takes part to some extent on the whole earwax eating, and licking my feet after getting out the shower. But the thing that she absolutely loves to do is fucking chewing the shit out of my socks. See, I'm pretty damn lazy so I always used to have dirty laudry laying around. Nothing else really interested her (expect for maybe using it as a bed once in a while)more than my socks. Whenever she gets ahold of one, she starts purring incredibly loud, streches out her paws as much as she can, and the starts gnawing and clawing it like nothing else. It would be xomewhat cute if she didn't already put holes in just about every pair of socks I own. Now I've learned to pick up after myself a bit better, also, I've taken up sewing as well. Oh well.

Twelve years ago (damn I felt old counting that) I had a pet African Rock Python who, for whatever reason, hated my alarm clock. When it went off, he'd get all pissy and upset. (And yes, snakes can't hear, and no, the alarm clock was not on the same surface as his tank.)

Anyway, eventually he figured out the system because he would begin hissing loudly five minutes before it would go off. Loud enough to wake me up. Snakes shouldn't be able to do that, but somehow, he could.

He did this every school day, but never on weekends. He was nice enough to let me sleep in on weekends.

However, he never figured out summer vacation.

My dog used to do this. This was because we lived next to a lake, and he'd love to chase the birds while we yelled "GET THE BIRDIES!"

I had a cat that was OBSESSED with cleaning all other 4-legged animals in my house. Cats, rabbits. She would pin them down and clean them, if they made a move, she'd whack them. They eventually learned not to contest her.
Another cat of ours would perch itself atop this very, very tall dresser and stare at us while we ate. Like a vulture. She was a bitch and hated all other cats, but one new kitten we got was just infatuated with her. Followed her, wanted to play, wouldn't let her up- she'd just hiss and get angry. I dont know WHY he chose HER to be crazy over. Our other cats were fine.
Funny thing is, after she passed away, he took her spot as the 'vulture'

I will hazard to guess that he did this near corners or other obstacles. The purpose is not to be creative, but to create a solid wall, likely to prevent a draft or provide privacy. My rat cage is on rotating computer chair, and I had a female that would stuff bedding in the bars on whichever side was facing a door. If you turned the cage the other way, she would tear it down and rebuild it again in a more appropriate spot. She would also push things up against the bars whenever there was fan in the room.

When my cat was little he would be sitting under a chair, one that covered up that he was sittign there. And whenever someone got close enough he would attack your feet with his paws. And sometimes when he was bored he would wait till you let your guard down and then attack your feet with all his might.

Also he sits next to the toilet door and wants to be let in every second you're in there as well. He also does this to my bedroom door. He will sit there and make a shitload of noise to get in. He is also capable of opening doors. We had to change the position of the handles or else he would just open every door.

And he can also do barrel rolls. He gets near my bed and then makes some sort of roll several times after each other. God knows why.

Well.. I'm not exactly sure how it came about, but.. Our Jack Russell had this odd cat-humping fetish. We even taught her to do it on command, we'd say "Love kitty!" and she'd go after the nearest cat. She wouldn't stop either, she'd chase them around barking until she could get ahold of them. and yes, it was a female dog.

My one cat has a bag fetish. He loves grocery bags, will climb in them, will bite them and paw them every chance he gets. There's been a couple times where I just hung him up in a bag on a door knob. This is also the cat who knows his name and comes by command, but he also gets upset if I'm in the bathroom without him. He'll paw on the door until I let him in; and oftentimes we find him lounging in the bathtub.
