...When cats purr it serves a real function. Apart from expressing contentedness and pleasure, the small vibrations sent through the body from the action of purring , aides the cat's body in healing itself. Helps cell regeneration. Like how plants that grow in strong weather turn out stronger than plants that had no outside disturbance. Makes the cell connections stronger and more hardy. Or something. But I did read this somewhere and it makes sense.
