Hello.
My cat has been acting very strangely today. This morning I woke to find him sitting on the 7 foot high sill in the picture window in my bedroom. There is no furniture near there that he could've launched himself off of, and there were no claw marks on the (sheer) curtains. Then this evening, I heard rustling in the living room and turned on the light to find him on the floor, tearing open a bag of treats that had been on top of an 8 foot bookcase, again with no nearby furniture.
He is normally a very ungainly (but extremely lovable) creature. Not graceful or athletic in the least. I'm thinking he's either developed superpowers, or I have a ghost.
Thoughts?
pic related, it is he.

you have a very tall house.

Cats are natural athletes, and they LOVE high places. It isn't surprising that they can sometimes have a vertical jump of at least six feet.

I thought stuff like this too not being able to figure out how they reached certain places, but if you watch them eventually you see them take advantage of nearby objects you thought weren't possible to take advantage of. Or like my last cat you see him running up a book case vertically (I swear he did this and almost made it but fell backwards lol) They are pretty good jumpers if they want to be too or climbers.
