I BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW'd for a good half week.
Full story:
She was three years old, which was longer than the average lifespan of a FeLV+ cat, so we were obviously doing something right. Kept her confined to the room my fiancee and I share, since there are other cats in the house that we have no authority to kick out (long story short, a housemate's), kept her fed and watered and attended to practically 24/7, basically gave her the best life we could. Anyway, Wednesday night she snuck out of the room when I went to the restroom (she sped through the closing door while my back was turned), and a minute or two later after I was done in the bathroom, I heard a catfight. Since there was only our cat, the housemate's cat, and the housemate's kittens in the house, I assumed that our cat was involved and hunted her down. She was hiding in the kitchen.
Anyway, took her back to our room, and she spent the rest of the night sitting in the corner of our entertainment center in the dark. This wasn't really unusual for her, since she had a tendency to find weird places to sleep, but the next day she was still there, staring off. We scheduled a vet appointment and got her in Friday morning since she was acting weird, and that's when they diagnosed her with lymphoma and a bacterial infection and said she probably wouldn't make it. They prescribed antibiotics anyway, and we took her home and BAWWWW'd for a bit. That night when it was time to give her her medicine, she threw it back up. We waited an hour or two and gave her a smaller dose, which she took.
