I have a bird such as this. I put it outside (in its cage) to enjoy the nice weather. I went inside to toss some salsa together and heard him doing his danger hoot, so I went to see what it was. It's usually a cat or dog in the yard, but when I looked out there was a goddamn hawk about 3 feet from his cage, sitting on the ground, eyeballing my bird. How crazy is that?

You should be honored something so badass decided your bird was worthy of a snack.
Seriously though, good thing you got out there when you did. that's pretty crazy.

No, I'm pretty sure it was an immature Cooper's that was just curious. If it was a Cooper's, he has plenty of food with all the feeders and baths around the yard.

Let the hawk have the green chicken and keep the hawk.
A hawk perched in your arm is way classier than a parrot in your shoulder.
