I've been feeding my cat dry food exclusively for a year now. Am I doing it right? Or do they need wet food too?

I think this was on the advice of the shelter I got him from.

They don't need wet food but it's ok as a treat now and then unless that goes against the advice of your vet, it wouldn't hurt.

Wellness is a good choice. It's not as good as a raw food diet, but it's helluva lot better choice then science diet or any of the other major brands you see in stores like Petco and Petsmart.

And yeah, what last anonymous said.

You don't necessarily need wet food, but hydration is extremely important for cats. As long as he drinks enough water, he'll be find. And keep up feeding him the wellness.

Wellness is a fucking all-life-stage brand of food. Good intentions, not good results. My 6 year old cat is perfectly healthy but last time she had extremely high creatine levels in her blood due to the excess protein in their Indoor diet. Its just like Nutrience and other "natural" foods that dont have specific pediatric, adult and geriatric formulations.

Fucking do your homework, anon. Wellness doesn't even do feeding trials on real animals, Hills and Science Diet have guarantees.

Wellness does have good products though, like their new line of "Core" foods that are actually tailored to motherfuckin standards for maintenance of the proper lifestage.
