Dear /an/,

We've got a big-ass grasshopper on our patio. At first it was hanging out on the door like this, but now it's wandering around, doing this weird probing motion with it's butt.

It is laying eggs? Do locusts eat with their butts? What's going on here? We're in Orlando if it means anything.

Yes, femalo locusts will lay their eggs in any unaware open mouth f.ex sleeping. Inwhere they'll hatch in about 3weeks.
