PETA: What a Queerity Anonymous
I recently read a comment up here from an /r/tard that asked if all of us in here are "PETAfags"... To which my answer is HELL NO!

Don't get me wrong, I love animals. But PETA = faggot! And not the good kind!

I have a phrase for what PETA really stands for:

P=People
E=Embarrasing
T=Tidewater
A=Area

Yes I live in the Tidewater region, and every PETAbtich over here sucks all kinds of dick. They need to yiff in Hell.

So, what does /an/ think?

Comment too long. Clickhereto view the full text.

PETA's slogan is "animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment."[1] In support of that position, it focuses on four core issues: factory farming,[5] fur farming, animal testing, and animals in entertainment. It also campaigns against fishing, the killing of animals regarded as pests, abuse of chained, backyard dogs, cock fighting, bullfighting and the consumption of meat. It aims to inform the public of its position through advertisements, undercover investigations, animal rescue, and lobbying.

seems quite reasonable to me

The RSPCA as a charity will, by all lawful means, prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals.

seems a bit more realistic

It seems reasonable on the outside, but their methods are ridiculous. They also apparently have some ultimate goal of total animal liberation-- meaning, we have no pets, no zoos, no nothing.

Except they're terrorists. Look at some of the things they say. Extremists. They'd rather let a million people die than use one mouse to find a cure for AIDS, or something. And hypocritical at that - the leader, Ingrid Newkirk, uses penicillin. Plus she's closely related to the Animal Liberation Front. They get tons of money and they use it to fund these people who only aim to do violence in the name of stopping animal cruelty but it's a bunch of bullshit. They want every animal to be happy and healthy but they run kill shelters, too.

Here's the first thing google grabbed for me about PETA being a bunch of terrible people.

I'm all for treating animals better, but these guys take it to a ridiculous level. It's incredible.

One of the problems we have with that is the "animals treated as pests" thing. There are many problems here in America with feral species that are hunted as vermin because they cause damage to our environment. If we stopped killing them, things like the emerald ash borer or the nutria would wreck our shit.
