My cat knows how to sit. She must do so before she gets a treat. She knows "Come up here" - point to her cat tree, her scratching post, the couch, a low table, my computer chair.. Up she goes, and waits in a sit. "Up high" means she can stretch up on her hind legs to grab at the treat - otherwise a no-no.
She knows how to 'wait', but does so only when she feels relaxed enough. I do this usually to keep her from running among my feet as I'm getting her food, but if she's gone longer than usual without it, she tends to ignore me.
"C'mere babygirl" is only for while I am standing - she stretches up as far as she can on my leg, and I pick her up to perch on my shoulder.
... She learned on her own how to bat at the old bag-clip I used on her food until it came off ... It was old, and the spring was weak. I got a new one, and keep her food in the closet now.
