Can a squirrel be a pet? Anonymous
and how did they get that gear on him....
>> Anonymous
Yeah. I think you'd need an exotics license, but I'm not sure.
>> Anonymous
Wow how did they get that uniform on him lol

When I was like 13 and lived in Texas, I eventually tamed a squirrel just by feeding her and what have you. Eventually, she trusted me so much that she'd immediately run over to me whenever I left the house, would let me pet her, ride on my shoulder, etc.

Eventually, she got knocked up and brought her babies over to me so I could feed them too since I was like her sole provider or something ridiculous.

Squirrels are cool.

no, sugar bush squirrel has more brown on him, and is never shot outside like this. Always some cheesy diorama setting where it probably has no hope of escape. The clothing is a much better fit on this squirrel, sugar bush's seems to be a bit baggier clothing. Probably a shop

Yep, definitely way too high quality for sugar bush squirrel. I'm guessing Worth 1000.

Some people in Oregon keep squirrels as pets. You have to get a license to own them, though I'm not sure how many squirrel owners do. Squirrels are fucking crazy for Pepsi, strangely enough.

If it's possible to domesticate rats, it should be possible to domesticate squirrels too. I wonder what kind of a pet a tame squirrel would make.

I met a gay man that had a pet squirrel one time, it just sat around on his shoulder. I had never petted a live squirrel before.

i had a pet squirrel as a kid, we rescued on that had fallen from a nest that was too high up to return it to. he was very friendly, would sit on your shoulder and eat like a parrot. we eventually had to set him free in the wild though, he was stealing all the fluff out of our blankets and making a nest for the winter. food hoarding was also a problem. i guess in an animal that basic/undomesticated their instincts are more prevalent. still a fond memory of my childhood.

My grandparents used to have squirrels, but that was way before I was born. They'd sleep in my grandpa's overalls or in his sweatshirt. At breakfast they would sit on his shoulders.
