ITT: "unconventional" pets that you have.Picture is my iguana Esteban, the picture's rather old, the guy's about 4.5 feet long now.
Another picture of him.
wow, hes pretty big
When I was sixteen I had a little octopus. He was neat, but he only lasted for about eight months.
I have an entire room full of reptiles and arachnids. Probably something around 60 individuals by now. Many are small things like a colony of scorpions or black widows.
About three years ago I kept a black widow. She died a little more than a year ago.
I had a pet locust as a kid. I absolutely babied that thing, took him just about everywhere I went.He lasted a lot longer than everyone thought.I really miss him.
I used to have a giant African millipede for a few years. Those things are huge and bad ass.
I had this one caterpillar once until I pulled an "accidental drop followed by step upon" maneuver... :(Shit happens a lot somehow..
>>262839I must get some of those, I currently have some Tanzinian pink millipedes which look awesome and have already started breeding.Pic related, its them

Not me personally, but I knew a guy who had some crazy pets. He had a monkey once (don't know what kind.) He also kept a raccoon. He had every kind of conventional pet too.He told me raccoons were surprisingly awesome pets.
Is your iguana fairly sociable? I've always been a little freaked out by them, if only because of some of the stories I've heard from others.
Do you have any tarantulas?
I have a colony of Cataglyphis velox, the picture is a bunch of larvae about to change into pupae.
And this is about 40 mins later.
Hay guys.
>>262792OP. The road crews in my town said they saw one of those black and white lizards on the high. I guess someone released it recently as I live in southern ontario and summer just began. How long do you think this thing will last in southern canadian climate ? Surely not through winter ?
