Simple conditioning. The cat should have gotten your attention before shitting on the carpet.

I agree with what you did, but I guess I belong in /k/

So when I was 14, I found my cat dead on the highway when I was walking home. I picked it up, brought it home and cut its head off. Her skull now sits on my dashboard.

well, its not like todlers cant swim or anything (if you trow a baby in the water it will swim)

The boy only trowed the cat in the water cause he knows that cats doesn't like it, the cat only trew the boy in the water. Someone made something bad just for fun and was punished for it. (It's good so the boy will not become a sadistic)

At first read, WTF.
Now that I think about it, i'm doing this when my cats die. It really seems honorable for some reason, makes the cat pretty hard to forget.

I think a lot of you are over reacting. I mean, how old is that kid? 4, maybe? He doesn't know what he's doing. when I was a kid I used to dress my cats up as babies and push them around in prams. A friend and I once dropped a couple of lizards in a bucket of water because we thought it was funny to watch them swim (they were ok, don't panic). Growing up I realised what an idiot I was, and have still always been a major animal lover. We weren't trying to be mean or anything with that shit, we were just curious and interested in animals.
Kid acted stupid, and fell in the pool as a result. Have a quick laugh and move on. It doesn't make him evil. Assuming he has responsible enough parents, he'll probably grow up to be perfectly normal.

Yeah, until you've done it with 3 or 4 cats then one day you knock all the skulls off accidentally and get them jumbled up and confused, can't tell which is which, and become unbelievably emotionally distraught as you come to the existential realization that to you a cat is just a cat, and when one cat dies you just keep replacing them and you don't even care about the personal characteristics of one cat over the other as long as you have a cat and that's so selfish and pig-headed of you oh god what have you done you're such a horrible person you only care about your own gratification oh god oh god oh god

and then you an hero. So maybe not such a great idea.

Personally, I just love how the cat LETS itself be carried. He KNOWS how things are gonna go down, he's just sitting back for the right moment...

It's likely doing it for shits and giggles. Cats are that way, especially around something as entertaining (for a cat anyway) as a three to six year old kid. Or maybe it's a young cat who's as curious about what's going to happen as the kid is.

But that's some serious body control from the cat, being able to stay out of the water like that.

make a 'weaow' sound just as the cat dodges water
