>>116154 I adopted him as a 2yr old intact male from the local pound. He was extremely agressive twoards black men (he was great around kids, and loved our black neighbor's daughter.. but not her father), and utterly hated brooms and cardboard boxes. So yea, he had been abused, and I suppose he had some kind of PTSD. He'd bitten a few other times: Once when my grandma was mowing the lawn, once when she was sweeping, and was violently protective (some would say possessive)of me. One day I went to give him a hug.. and he freaked out and bit me across the cheek. After that, he was violent twoards everyone, growling constantly and even nipping at me. A week later, my uncle took him to the vet to be put to sleep while I was at work. I knew it had to happen, because he wasn't safe to be around, but it still really hurt.
Also, insulting people is kinda my thing. I'm not really offended by the things people say/post here, and I like to think making fun of them helps others also be less offended by it. Growing a thick skin and all that.
>>116180 I got agoraphobic just after the diagnosis.. but the sun doesn't hurt me THAT bad. A few hours in the sun leaves blisters, but I can work indoors and go to the zoo or a park or something (if I wear longsleeve shirts, rest frequently because of arthritis, and douse the rest of my skin in spf 100 sunblock).
But yes, he left an inch long scar on my face. It's hardly noticeable because of the redness from teh lupus, but I know its there.
Now we need a therapist /an/on to post and comfort us.
(Anyone else get "Flood detected" whenever they try to post?)
