take a picture of it, I cant tell from your description. Sphinx moths flutter their wings when its cold, insects require their thorax to be a certain temperature before they can fly. It's probably fine, does it look like the moth in the picture, or one with shriveled wings? If the wings look fine, and its been 12 hours after it hatched, it is probably fine.
