I am not justifying the mass murder of anything, I am just saying that this is less of a ethical delimma that it appears. do you feel bad for eating brocoli? fruit wants you to eat it, but the plant themselves would much rather you left them alone.
that said, the conditions that some of these animals grow up in is abominable. if we are simply going to eat them, why do we have to torture and imprison them? its all in the name of our comfort and profits. I think it would be much easier on our collective minds if we knew that these animals were living their lives free from disease, predation, dangerous weather, and starvation and actually ENJOYING it.
