So, I was thinking about getting a rabbit, but the problem is I live in apartment with no balcony, and I'm worried it would be harsh for little guy (tho, anything is better than aquarium where they keep 10 rabbits in one, for sale in zoo)

What does /an/ think?

Also, do rabbits need to receive shots?

Wouldn't worry about the balcony, just give him two hours or so out in the appartment. You need to rabbit proof though, or he'll destroy all your electronics. Also has to be spayed/neutered or it'll become a horny rage ball.

I bought my rabbit a leash and a harness and I take him out in the yard to run around a bit. You'd just have to watch out for other animals..

Be careful. Don't leave your rabbit unattended with a leash, even in the house. One time I put one of these on my rabbit and tied it around a coffee table leg. I didn't give a shit about the coffee table getting chewed or anything, but I decided to watch anyway, to see how she'd act. She wound up hopping around for a big, then she got tangled. Then she panicked and turned into a blurry ball of panic. I had to run in, grab her, and force her still. If I didn't, I'm pretty sure she would have continued to further tangle herself and panic harder until she broke her own neck or something.

Wait, how do you litter train a rabbit? I thought only cats can get litter trained.

Noes, kept my rabbit inside for years, till it started getting fat and eating my electronics.

We just stuck him on litter try when he looked like he needed to go, soon took the hint..

If you intend to keep it inside definitely get it fix as early as you can. That is the best way to keep them from being destructive in your home. I learned that the hard way. Litter training is much easier after they are fixed because it gets rid of the urge to mark the territory with pellets and chewing. Make sure to buy a litter that will not hurt the rabbit if ingested as well. Rabbit nibble on their litter. Carefresh is a good one to go with, and disposable litter boxes are also a nice thing. Rabbit urine is one of the hardest things to clean. Vinegar is the only thing that can really get rid of the smell.
