What would one of those swamp mosquito's do to me if I ever happen to get bit by one, /an/?
My neighborhood is infested with them.

Another swampdweller here.
Most of the time, nothing will happen. A lot of people don't even react to mosquito bites beyond a slight itch, though the most common result is a small itchy bump.

In theory, you can catch all sorts of horrible things from mosquito bites, but chances are you won't, unless you go somewhere with a serious outbreak of malaria or west nile. To avoid getting bit in the first place, wear dark clothing, keep your skin covered, and avoid strong scents on your person (axe body spray = mosquito bait).
