A lynx would be a cat I'd respect. And I need to be able to respect the animal were I to have one, for one reason or another.

Many housecats have to fend off big, annoying DOGS on a regular basis. A fishing cat should be no problem.

Okay, we all know it's in the rules, but, honestly, how important is it? And how enforced of a rule is it? I've seen macros ever since I started coming to /an/, so they're obviously a long-time habit for many posters.

>> Anonymous

I thought house cats were social, somewhat, as well. I know that stray cats form groups. They don't hunt in groups but they do tend to move towards one another.

yeah domestic cats are social in most aspects but not hunting. females will form cooperative nurseries. the only time conflict arises is usually over sweet sweet poontang and for alpha position.

Who needs a guard dog when Jack the elderly suburban housecat is on duty?

West Milford residents Suzanne and Jack Giovanetti first noticed a bear huddled in a tree in their backyard on Sunday afternoon.

Sitting beneath the tree: A seven-kilogram, orange-and-white, declawed neighbourhood cat named Jack.

The bear remained in the tree for about 15 minutes, frequently looking down at Jack.

That's an old misconception. Study of modern cats' wild African ancestors has shown that they are naturally social, forming loose communities. They do not hunt in groups, though, but some big cats not usually thought of as social do. Cheetahs and lynxes may hunt and live in groups, usually consisting of siblings, and there is proof that tigers may form such groups also.
