hey guize Catnonymous
hello peeps, I own a beautiful lovable calico kitten which is about 9 months now and she's got a bit of a problem.

She lives in my room and she likes to go wee on my bed, she's done this four times now. The first three were trial and error, the litterbox was not in my room and too far for her to reach, she was nervous because it was a new environment, and I didn't have food around my bed so she doesn't pee where she sleeps.

So I corrected those things, brought a kitty litte in my room, some food of hers on my bed and the nice quiet environment which I though would suffice, sadly, did not. After doing these things, she didn't pee on my bed for over a week so I thought it was all good and ROUTINE has set in. welly welly well wouldn't you know, I feel this warm spot on my bed and knew what she had done, I scooped her up and gently rubbed her face in the pee saying "no pee pee, no pee pee" then let her scoot off to her little play spots.

The little crapper has done it to me again! the only thing I can think of is the night before, I had two buddies over to watch Lord of The Rings. The volume was pretty high and they were playing with the kitten, they were doing some dumb mortal kombat "test your might" shit by putting her high up on ledges and making her figure out how to come down. Of course, I was supervising the whole thing and the kitten (her name is meesh) didn't seem too distraught from the whole experience, we began to watch the movie, relax and all seemed fine....or was it?

My question to you is would company be a bad idea for the kitten? was meesh really hurt by their handling, even though they themselves were cat lovers and handled her with care?

OP here, correction, i mean 9 weeks.

let me make a few more points here, her litter box is always clean and, like I said before, there's freakin food on my bed! I thought cats could never defecate and urinate where they eat, I mean, she didn't pee in the exact same spot where her food was on my bed...it was just a different spot.

damn guys, lets figure this out through process of elimination, shall we?

could she have a UTI? most likely not, she's too young, but just to be on the safe side, I booked an appointment to the vet. Hmmm.... what else. Could she be trying to tell me some thing? She does use the kitty litter, so I know that it cannot be that, she must have been pissed off at me?

She's only 9 weeks old. Puppies and kittens are still getting used to having full control over their bladders and accidents happen. Potty-trained children piss themselves and their beds all the time. Go ahead and get her checked for a UTI just in case but in all likelihood she just waits too long to run to the pan or doesn't even realize she's going.

I am also hand feeding her, as a treat, some beef and tune whiskas food, could that make her pee? damn it man, i don't wanna get paranoid in the morning.

agreed.

also, instead of rubbing her nose in it and letting her play, try the putting her in the litter box. has she used it at all? what kind of litter do you use? some cats don't like the clumping or the sand type, so u may want to switch types.
if u ever catch her mid-squat, pick her up by the scruff of the neck and drop her int he litter box. that worked the best for litter training my brood

nevermind, I killed it.

My cat did this when she was a kitten. Have you tried putting her in the litter box within half an hour after she's eaten?

shes a baby, they have accidents.

dont rub the nose in the pee,its like rubbing it in bleach! putting her in the tray at regular intervals will help,as is after her dinner.she will learn, maybe dont let her on the bed unsupervised.

faggot troll, don't fuck with my thread, asshole.

Kittens do that until they learn to use the litterbox. Set her in it about 30-60 mins after she's eaten/drank. They eventually learn where it's ok to do their business.

Agreeing with the after-dinner-litter-box idea. Have you treated your bed? You should use something like Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution (use the cat formulas) to clean your bed. Cats will continue to go where they smell that other cats have gone, and they can pick up "potty" smells better than we can.
