My rabbit just now had babies, five of them. My question is though, is it normal for her to step on the babies? Like when she's walking, she'll accidentally step on them or stand on them for 5 seconds.

Rabbits are stupid.

I don't really mean this in a bad way like "rabbits suck!"

I'm just offering it as an explanation for why your rabbit is standing on her babies.

But-but they...they can be litter trained D:

Putting a litterbox in the corner they keep shitting in isn't really littertraining.

How did she get pregnant? Separate her from the male immediately, she may be pregnant again.
As soon as she wean the babies, two months from now, spay her.
Are you going to keep the babies? They also need to be spayed/neutered otherwise you will have hundreds of rabbits in no time.

Rabbits will feed their babies once or twice a day.
If they look pink and fat, they should be ok.

At any rate, OP pic is a pretty rabbit.

I don't know how anyone could justify a rabbit being smart. Just because you love it a WHOLE WHOLE LOT AND IT KNOWS HOW TO GET ON THE COUCH TO CUDDLE WIF ME doesn't make it a fucking genius. Having said that the damn things are adorable fuck.

Well I had her with another rabbit, they're already seperated. I want to keep the babies, but I'm not sure if I should take a few of them to an animal shelter. But if I keep them they will definitely be getting neutered/spayed.

She's so pretty ;_;

She is adorable. What are you feeding her? She need alfalfa hay now that she is nursing.
Likely you won't see her feeding them, but if they're looking fat and pink, as I said, they should be fine.
One thing you can do is clip her nails, so she won't hurt the babies, hope you know how to do it.
Also, good time to get the male neutered.

she eats timothy hay/pellets/vegetables. I also have some alfalfa hay but she hates it. her nails have been recently clipped, thanks :D

I am assuming the babies are in a nest/box. If so, and they're looking ok, don't worry. Leaven them alone, she will do just fine. Just check them eventually.

aww:( i used to have a brown and white rex... looked just like her:( is the father purebred? if so sell them for like 30 bucks instead of bringing them to a shelter. handle the babys a lot once they start moving about on there own and they will make someone a really nice pet. regardless even if they are not purebred
