/an/ can you tell me what this snake is? If you can't see it has a cream colored band around its neck, and is black.

Also, it's about three or four inches long, what do I feed it?

if it was caught in the wild it's probably a young ring neck snake [go figure ha]
try crickets from the pet store or pinky mice but make sure they're really tiny ones
put him in a tank and try to get a heat lamp/pad
also need a small water dish
ring neck snakes are pretty cool they aren't harmful and they keep away poisonous snakes when they're outside hanging around your house

yeah its a ringneck, pretty cool little snake...one layed a clutch of eggs that hatched in my basement. that was fun.

i caught a baby ringneck once, it was a sweetie. impressed my animal care teacher, she said she's never found one in the wild in our parts
