It all depends on where you live. Back where I used to live, one cat got hit by a car- displaced hip when she was around 1. We fixed her up. She was later hit AGAIN, killed this time. Our other cat died at about 3, I think? Also car. One randomly went missing. We guessed it was because someone took him in- he was immensely friendly and we kept putting off giving him a collar. My current cat, Toby, went missing for 4 days- came back with his eye gouged out and some of his jaw-skin ripped off. He's now an indoor cat, he's 3. in b4 people yell at me like "IT TOOK YOU THAT LONG TO LEARN YOUR LESSON?????" the first half of these stories was back when I was like, 11 or something, and I wasn't one to yell at my parents for letting cats outside. But, where I currently live, there's two neighborhood outdoor cats that are both 20. Actually, I think one recently died. The other is still 100% a-ok. I think another cat around here is 16, as well.
