Alright so get this. My dogs keep barking at something under my truck. I look under there and there is nothing so i go back inside. They keep barking so I go back out and lower my spare tire. And what do I find is a little kitten in the frame of my truck. Well if I was going to get this thing out I had to lock up my dogs, so I did. I use the tunafish to try and bait it out, but it won't come. So I get two pairs of gloves on my right hand and I just reach in there and drag it out. The little fucker still managed to bite me on my left hand. I go inside to treat my wound, the little kitty is on the ground. When I come out he is gone. So now I got a, hopefully not, infected wound, and no little kitty :(

Picture is of the truck he was under. I was looking for my phone but i couldn't find it, to take picture of actuall kitty.

If you haven't had a tetanus shot in the past 15 years this would be a good time.

Moral of the story: Gloves come in pairs for a reason!

The cat was probably scared out of it's mind because of the dog barking at it.

For the past five, actually, if I recall correctly.

They'll probably be giving you a booster shot.

Seriously, cat bites are nothing to spit at. I'm just got back from a follow-up appointment with mine. Landed me in the hospital on IV.

My advice: Go see your doctor. You'll most likely be put on antibiotics for a while and everything will be fine, but there's some pretty nasty shit that lives in cat mouths that you don't want in you.

And, if you can't find the kitty, you might need some rabies shots. Which can kill you. >.>

Good luck with that. >..

...the rabies shots can't kill you. You should have phrased that differently, cause rabies -can- kill you.

OP, I'd get to a doctor if I were you. The rabies shots are very unpleasant, but dying is even worse.

I've heard otherwise.

Although I haven't heard of it actually killing anyone, it can and has supposedly caused some serious reactions that could've been fatal.

Plus, it can make you pretty sick.

...

It's better than being dead from rabies, though.

The real moral of this story: Leave stray cats alone. Just walk away and eventually it'll wander off and get hit by a car or something.

eh... just die of rabies like a man...
