Fantail Help Anonymous
I've come to ask for some help, /an/

I've got a fantail goldfish with swim bladder. He floats to the top and that's lead to his back and a tad bit of his tail skin to dry up. It is dark red and looks painful. I've put plastic wrap ontop of water in the bowl (with holes in it) to keep him down so his back stays moist.
Is there anything I can do to help him other than what I am doing now? I read something about peas somewhere..
Pic related, it's my fish Newman.

I work at a petstore, so you should listen to me. lawl.

ok, so is that a bowl I see in that picture? FUCKER. get that poor animal some filtration. how would you like to inhale your noxious wastes all day? plus, with out proper oxygenation and room to grow, he'll just die soon anyway.

now, for swim bladder it could be an inner bacterial thing, which you need bacterial meds for. any local petshop should have a selection of antibacterials. it could also be, habeeb it or don't, constipation. try not feeding him his flakes or whatever and give him shelled peas for a few days as a laxative

I plan on getting a tank with filtration soon, but for now I change his bowl every two days. I will go check out some meds. Thank you!
