The real name of this spider is Argiope aurantia, commonly known as Black and yellow garden spider or Writing spider. Also, that one is the female, males are fairly plain-looking and brown.

>FUCK ME.
>I fucking love the cock.

here's a mature male Argiope sp. i think it's A. argentata since we had plenty of them in my backyard. this spider was in my kitchen though. caught him..took a few pics, then released him outside before one of my roommates killed it. i guess they probably would've got me to do something with it instead.

:'(

We had one of these big ol' spiders literally right in front of our front door. Same type of web and everything.

I was going to work and I ran RIGHT SMACK into the fuckin' web. I fuckin' freaked out, but the webbing is incredibly thick and durable, so it still hung pretty tight. The spider didn't seem to mind either, so I was thankful for that.

We didn't take the web down or anything, but instead left it up there. It was a lovely spider and we treated it with respect. :) Eventually, though, we noticed it wasn't moving and was at the top of its web. I went to nudge it with my index finger and it didn't do anything.

Apparently, she had died. :( I was pretty sad by its loss...

That's what we called them down in Florida. I lived just south of the Panhandle right on the coast and they were all over the woods.

I have no answer for you, but thanks for sharing, it's gorgeous, I've never seen a web like that either!

I had one of these living outside of my house for about three months a while ago. It was really big and pretty, and I would watch it a lot. Then one day, my dad was pressure washing the house, and I never saw it again.
Then this other time, I was riding my horse through the woods, and I saw one of these spiders, and I was like "I'd better remember to look out for this on the way back." Naturally, on the way back, I trotted right into it. I started screaming so loud, my horse ran into a tree. Looking back, it's pretty funny, but it wasn't back then.

I remember when i was 15 i'd sneak out into my backyard to smoek weed. and there was this black widows web right where i'd be smoking. anyway id be out there, stoned, and i'd catch little bugs and put them in the spider's web. after a couple weeks that fucking spider was so fat, it looked like it was gonna burst.
