What is the concensus on Cesar Milan?

I love the Dog Whisperer, but I would like to see an episode where even Cesar admits he can't fix a dog and has to put it down.

He did admit with one Chihuahua dog that he could not fix the dog, because the woman he was seeing would not allow anyone not even Cesar to correct the animal.

Eventually though she gave up and let Cesar do his thing.

I read his wiki article, and apparently several experts in the field think he's the devil incarnate.

Even so, I still see Cesar in good light. He does what he does and it seems to work. They're fucking animals, not human beings, I don't care how "inhumane" his style is, it's sufficiently humane for me.

Cesar is handling the dog's leash and his middle finger got loose. After all the guy has to deal with unruly dogs so of course his hands have to move contanstly and adapt.

I read the criticism section and it sounds like they're all a bunch of hippie fags who think pinching the nape of a dog's neck counts as abuse.

I agree. So what if he uses a choke chain? Dogs are indeed animals, they don't understand anything else outside of extreme good or extreme bad. The bad being pain.

So a little pain and discomfort when they get out of line via choke chain is not a bad thing. The same way people say a little pain is good for people, well the same thing applies to animals.

I think the problem is that people train dogs w/o hurting them all the time

SEE: Victoria Stillwell

who I'd let train me anyday

Damn straight, right now I have this little shota tied up next to my computer desk. His mouth is stuffed with old gym socks and jockstraps that reek of cheese. Wrists are bound with Gorilla Tape and ankles are tied with a usb line.
If you're nice, I'll show you later.

I like how professionals say dogs are like people and sentimental and shit.

Come on, dogs would kill you just because. People actually have multiple reasons to kill each other. Hell a dog or any other animal is not smart enough to consider extinction of the animals they prey on, they'd just go on and on and on until there isn't anymore food.

Victoria Stillwell is DAMN amazing at dog training. She doesn't use all the bullshit techniques Cesar applies- and even if his work, I don't believe a lot of it is necessary. Victoria always seems able to get the dogs under control without an insane amount of punishment and little to not pain. Nothing but the usual lessons only done RIGHT.
On the subject of 'choke chains' wouldn't one of the head-collars work just as efficiently? Even if it doesn't matter that the dog is suffering a little before it learns, it would be better to just find another method that didn't utilize that. While it isn't OMG BAD, it should be avoided if possible.
I don't really like Cesar much, myself. Its Me or the Dog is really neat to watch and I prefer Victoria's lesson-plans.

Her show is probably filmed to make it look like what she does takes no effort.

I've tried some of the things she does and they have all worked more than hitting a dog would do

I've stopped fights between my 2 dogs with her loud noise technique and it works better than kicking one of them

There's a guy at my job who looks like an older, taller version of Caesar Milan.

Frankly, I don't know where everyone's getting this stuff. I've never seen Cesar do anything that could in any way be considered abuse. He pokes the dogs on the neck and makes a noise to distract them - how is that abusive?

His message is a good one - treat dogs like dogs, not people.

I like him but I don't know where you all are getting that he hurts the dogs. His methods I think work and as well as Stillwell's. He has a more human/energy towards the dogs and from what I've she uses more gadgets and what not. I think they both work. But he doesnt hurt the dogs.

Cesar doesn't hit, he touches the dog. A light poke to let them know what they're doing is wrong and not allowed.

Lord knows they don't understand the full blown human language.

I love Ceasar, I think he's a good guy..

I think he understands dogs more than people and I really enjoyed watching his show, but I have to say, it got a little repetitive in my book, I wish he'd do more than agressive dogs, even if I know that his audience is there to watch him tame 'untrainable' dogs...

/needs help on her over excitable pup

Agreed. This monday during labor day I watched the marathon and shit that got tedious after the third episode.

However at least they threw in a bit showing Cesar picking a dog from the pound to be a mate for another domesticated dog so that was refreshing and showed the viewer how to handle freshly picked dogs to break them in and let them know the rules from the beginning before any trouble starts.

Though I doubt trouble will be avoided since the owner woman is one of those "My dog is such a precious baby!!!" type.

There's nothing wrong with his method. There's no real harm or pain induced. The only thing he does is physical restriction, either by pushing by his hand or by holding back with a leash.

People who complain about this are hippie fags who think touching an animal or a kid consitutes abuse and you should be sued.

where'd yah get the front page image. Lol Cesar would never do that. :P

I have to wonder what does PETA think of Milan?
