Anonymous File :-(, x)
i have one, he's 9 years old (fyi they can get up to 15-20). i specifically only got him and not a pair because i knew he would be more likely to bond with me that way. i chose him out of all his cagemates because he was the most friendly and outgoing - he went right up to me and climbed up my arm the first day i saw the brood.
they are pretty easy pets, not very messy, not smelly at all, easy to feed, etc. but they can be annoying as all fuck, screaming loudly when they just fuckin feel like it for no reason. not nearly as bad as conures, lordy no, still...don't expect to live in a dorm or apartment with one unless you want everyone around you to be annoyed. also, they can be extremely affectionate to the person(s) they bond to (mine loves to be petted) and, at least my bird, be aggressive toward strangers.
please do tons of research before you get one. a single bird will need a lot of attention, especially when it's young. they need a pretty big cage because they're VERY active, which can be hard to find since the bars have to be close together.
anyway, if you have any specific questions just ask :o)
