worst sting experience? Anonymous
Mine would be getting stung by one of these bastards in Hawaii. I was 11 at the time and I've never went back into the water since.

Mine would be getting stung by one of these bastards. Yeah, I don't go out much.
>> Static Life.
Aren't those the deadliest "stingers" in the sea?
>> Anonymous
>>54935

I'm guessing it would be when you're in deep ocean or something. Stung -> Pain -> Drown D:

Worst would be, playing hide-and-seek in the bushes and getting stung by wasps ... XD
>> Anonymous
Yes, they are very dangerous, but you can spot them floating.
I'd say the seawasp is way more dangerous since it is rather small and not floating above the surface.
>> Anonymous
Don't know what kind it was, but I was in the Egyptian port town of Aghami when a jellyfish wrapped a tendril completely around my leg and stung. You could literally see the sucker marks on the burn for about a year after. I still have some (very) slight discoloration a full 8 years later.

I thought that title would go to the box jellyfish.
>> Anonymous
>>54931
That would be the Man-O-War jelly fish. I used to think that they were the most dangerous of the sea.
>>54971
But yes. That title goes to that bastard.

God invented the sea wasp to warn humans not to go to Australia. Fucking Australia.

you can pop them, but they will grow back in a couple of weeks

never been stung by one of those bastards because I always keep a sharp eye out for them.

I'd say irukandji is the most dangerous.

"Irukandji syndrome is produced by a very small amount of venom and includes severe pains at various parts of the body (typically excruciating muscle cramps in the arms and legs, severe pain in the back and kidneys, and a burning sensation of the skin and face), headaches, nausea, restlessness, sweating, vomiting, high heart rate and blood pressure. As of 2006, no antivenom is known. The sting itself is only moderately irritating, the severe syndrome being delayed for 5-120 minutes (30 minutes on average)."

Wasp got my eyeball once. It was hovering in front of my face, I had my eyes shut, I didn't hear (or feel) it, so when I opened my eye *sting*. Not pleasant, but I didn't loose my eyesight.
>> Anonymous
When I was little I hopped on my little kid bike. I didn't know there was a wasp hiding under the seat, and it flew up my skirt and stung me in the ass.

10 years old. Was on vacation with family in Pensacola, Fl. I didn't notice, but everyone started to go back to shore because small jellyfish no bigger than a quarter were coming onto shore. One went up my bathing suit and stung me in the nuts. It hurt for 2-3 hours and I didn't get back in the water for the rest of the trip.
>> Anonymous
hm, I thought there were a low rate of jellyfish attacks in Hawaii... maybe it was a low rate of deadly jellyfish attacks.
>> Anonymous
>>55948
God no. Some beaches, you just bring along vaseline and meat tenderizer (i know it sounds bizarre, but it's the best goddamn cure there is for the sting) because you assume you're going to get stung.

Sucks.
