I want to adopt a cat, what race is this?
>> Anonymous
Unless you're paying a couple hundred dollars, there are pretty much four cats you'll find adoption-wise: Domestic short hair, domestic medium hair, domestic long hair, and the occasional siamese.

Also, wtf race.

Russian blue?

The grey kind. They are a very rare breed, you'll need to travel to Egypt to find one.

Definitely not. True russian blues have green eyes and more angular faces.

Not every blue-gray cat is a Russian Blue. Not only are their several other breeds (Korat or Chartreux for instance) that share this coloration, but it's not horribly uncommon in cats of mixed ancestry.

This cat actually looks like a typical Chartreux (pic related), but without any other knowledge it could just as easily be a blue-gray moggie.
