So, /an/. Today was the day that I mow my backyard. I start to mow, and I notice my dog pawing at something in the grass I havn't cut yet. Turning off the mower, I walk over, and what do I see?

There were a total of three in my backyard, all hiding in the grass. I moved them all over to where I think they were from, in a bush on the other side of my fence. I saved 3 little fuzzy lives today, /an/. And I feel good.

They were all quite adorable, and my dog chased after one for a tiny bit. My dog is part hunting dog of some kind. Never hurt the poor things, but just kinda sniffed and pawed at them. She has no Idea what to do when she catches them. It's kinda cute.

don't let your dog chase them or go near them, rabbits die of stress very easily.

also, being that you have a mitten on, i'm assuming you put them back?

That I did. They're all back in the wild so to speak, as wild as suburbia can get, I figured they just had a few more days before they were on their own. I'll probably never see em again, but damn, they're so small and cute when you hold them... Fucking adorable.

My dog may give chase, but when she "catches" things, she just gets confused... We call her back whenever she does, and the "prey" goes on and escapes later.

Strangely enough, my dog gave a little chase when one of them bounded away. I called her back before she hurt the poor thing, but I've never heard a rabbit sound like a squeaky toy before.

God forbid I keep a wild animal. Let em roam free. :3
