It's currently a lovely 38°C here. What can I do to keep small mammals cool besides turning up the A/C?
Get those freezer cold packs and put them in a plastic bag or something before putting them near the cage so it doesn't get water everywhere while it thaws.
I used to freeze bottles of water and keep them in my rats' cage.
a fan
I put them in the freezer, its good cuz they're small enough to fit and I don't need to keep the doors open unlike for humans.

freeze milk bottles full of water, set them in there cage if its an outdoor small animal
my bunnies like ice cubes when it gets too hot.
Anything that doesn't create a cold draft. Small pets can get nasty colds.

+1 for freezing water bottles; keep more than one in the freezer so you can switch back and forth
>>117586what you need is a deep freezer. You can keep a whole... deer.. in there.
>>117875Yea, global warming makes it hard for the deer. Be a pall and put one in your freezer for a few hours, it'll help conserve wildlife.
