I have one, she's fat, lazy, has a skin condition, and hates kids (dunno why.)

She's also insecure, and follows my mom everywhere.

Oh shush. I made one grammatical error. It's too late to be thinking about grammar.

No, it was his dad's dog's friend.

Thanks anon, but I'm a girl. I understand the assumption, though.

We have one, shes very sweet and all, but when outside for a walk she tries to eat shit form other dogs and she lies down for every other dog she sees, even if it is still miles away.

I've owned two.

One was the mutt of a litter, and despite being the smallest of the group still ended up being 110 lbs. I think the average is 65 lb. His dad was so huge he looked like a wolf.

He was really smart, and could even open some doors on his own. He eventually had to be put down due to arthritis caused by his large size.

The new one is about four years old now, and is an idiot. Gets excited too easily, doesn't respect anyone's personal bubble, tries to jump on people, you know how it goes. We think its caused by the poodle, who is allowed to sit on everyone's lap. He's jealous of her and thinks its special treatment.

They're pretty good dogs, and they're safe around kids.

My lab has no self control and just pulls wherever she wants to go. Get lifting weights if you want to control a lab.

I have 4 Labs that I currently live with. 2 chocolates: Rhana, Sherman. and 2 blacks: Trinity, and LBJ

Yellow labs only differ from black and chocolate in color. If you wish to get a lab, a good amount of exercise is required. (1-1 1/2 hours of hard fetch a day for my labs.) They're very sweet, usually think water kicks ass. So a little kiddie pool would probably be good to get. And with the experience from my labs pretty easy to train. Whether or not they like kids depends really on the dogs personality. most of the labs I know absolutely love children, but my 4 either avoid/run away from them. Never growl or show any aggressive behavior, they'll just stay away from them.

They're absolutely fantastic dogs, I have yet to meet a lab I haven't loved. (And if you get one, for gods sake don't name it Bailey or Cody.) I highly recommend the breed if you have the time and energy to wear them out.
