Can we have a Hermit Crab thread?
I don't see why not.
am i doing it right?
>>283532No, but>>283558is. Coconut crabs are technically a species of hermit crab.
>>283570really? I can't imagine that they'd be able to find many shells to hermit away in
I lived in the Islands GC,BWI...my son collected a few..they make interesting pets...if they ever crawl out of there container...good luck finding them..when the scoup themselves into a new shell...that is neat to watch
>>283583when young the live like a typical hermit. when they get big their tail hardens and they no longer need the shells (which is good since they couldn't find one big enough anyways)
>>283705I heard some use trash cans as shells when adult.
They have no natural predators where they live so they don't really have the need to use shells
I want a coconut crab as a petI could use it to slay my enemies
