WTF is this Anonymous
Ok so this thing lives in the pond right outside my apartment. I can't figure out what the hell it is. The tail is to skinny for a beaver. It's always in the water or digging up roots to eat. I am in central FL

It's a nutria. We have tons of them around here (Louisiana), living in the ditches, and around lakes and swamps. They have orange teeth.
Where do you live?

they make great coats, and they're pretty tastey.

IS IT A JACKAL?
JACKAL? ITS A JACKAL! JACKAL?

Yeah, if you like the taste of giant rat. They taste just like you'd expect a giant rat to taste like. I do like their fur, though. (Louisiana also, my dad trapped them.) I heard they actually make pretty good pets. Like a rat but giant.

Well, that settles it, OP. You must now capture and tame this beast for posterity's sake.
>> Anonymous

IF IT WASN'T RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, WHY THE HELL DID YOU KEEP SAYING IT?! GOD!!

OP here. I can't believe this shit is still going. It's a nutria. My first thought really was basset hound though.
I have decided to capture the monster and train it to attack the negroid kids who harass the ducks in the pond.

>> Anonymous

They're classified as vermin in pretty much every state that has them, and they all have people paid to cull them.

Taken from wikipedia:
"The nipples of female [nutria] are on her back. This allows their young to feed while the female is in the water."
WTF.
>> Anonymous
>>108430
The nipples are actually on its sides, not on its back. Yet more evidence you shouldn't trust wikipedia.
>> Anonymous
>>108431
Still, nippes on the side = not 'the norm.'

That is a water rat :)
I prefer water rats over your common rats, they are wicked.

The cops in Chalmette, LA are known to use them for target practice.

Your mom secretly thinks you're grotesque. I bet she cries herself to sleep each night due to nightmares brought on by the memory of carrying you in her womb.
