dear /an/,
How do I get mu kittens to stop crapping on my carpet? I read that the mother cat teaches them to use the litter box, but still they vrap on the carpet. Halp.

Put them in the litter box. Constantly. Every time they eat or drink, first thing in the morning, last thing at night, whenever they start sniffing in corners. They'll catch on, it's their natural instinct to dig in a box of gravel and cover their stuff. If they're really young, you can just hold them in the box and rub their tummies with warm damp cotton wool to stimulate them to drop their guts. Then act all cutesy-wutesy and tell them they're good kids for doing it in the box.

They are aware of the litter box as they often use it, however, they insist that the carpet is also a good place for their feces.

kittens will choose to crap on your carpet if
a. they have diahrrea
b. the litterbox is not clean enough
c. they're unhappy with changes in their environment, by which I mean your futile attempts to clean up after them and have a normal home
d. they are feeling like assholes on that particular day

they generally grow out of it after a few months. Right now I only have one problem kitten out of a litter of three but if I see that fucking cat (crapping on the carpet and then trying to bury it with imaginary dirt) one more time then I am going to give up and take my retarded animal to the deathpound.

Well, that explains why so much liquid shit lands on the carpet. So all I can do is wait?

My kitten somehow got the idea that the bathtube is an alternative litterbox. Every time he sees it, he'll jump in and takes a piss in it. Even though the litterbox its self is as clean as it could be.

well if it's happening frequently (more than two or three times per week) and you're sure all of the kittens are doing it, then they may be sick or maybe there is something wrong with their diet. Can you tell us how old they are and how frequently they're liquidshitting?

get a litterbox, put them in it, and they should get it. If not, put them in when you see they're about to poop (it's easy to tell) and they may run away at first and try to poop elsewhere but they'll get it eventually. All of my cats/kittens were litter trained the first day.

6 weeks old, and for the past few days one of them has been liquidshitting. I am pretty sure only one cat is doing it, and it's one of the ones I plan to give away, so in 2 weeks, hopefully my carpet will be shit-free.

get moar litterboxes. If the kitten is crapping on the carpet in a specific spot, it just might be that she feels comfortable there and if you put a litter box there she'll happily use it

please wait till the kittens are 10-12 weeks old to give them away, they clearly have some like lessons they need to learn from mom still.
