Dear /an/,

WHAT HAVE I DONE? This bird fell out of my tree yesterday, so I put it in a box. I closed said box and this morning I opened the box and it was like this. Is it asleep?

Death is hilarious. Especially if it's cute baby animals.

Of course. Isn't that what you're supposed to do? I put it in a box like this one and closed the lid.

I lol'd!

Protip: In all seriousness though you should never pick up a baby bird that has been knocked out of its nest. This is natural selection at work and the weak are being weeded out. A regular person not trained in veterinary skills will not be able to care for a baby bird as well as its own mother will be able to.

I saved a baby bird once. He was doing well for a few days, was eating and chirping, then suddenly died.
