Kill all the birds around before your cat does it.

Put a bell on your cat's collar

It's a present, you should be honored.

No. Cats need to hunt to feel good,

The act, not the kill, is important.

Reminds me of dogs. Our first dog killed birds and brought them to dad. Dad petted her and told her she was a good girl because she was presenting a gift for the alpha or something like that.

that's like playing a game and never winning, eventually that's gonna eat you up inside. The cat needs the kill as much as the hunt.

Perhaps you should play more with your cat.

I'd also like to know where you're getting this cat psychology from.

At least you don't have disembodied rabbit heads all over your lawn op, as well as fresh warm gifts of intestine. It's a gift, really it is.

Cats are cats, while we feed them, love them, and often times have our heads used as pillows by them, they're still compact predators. Like humans, the comforts of modern day society does not sate a certain desire to hunt. Some people hunt, others don't, some cats do, some don't. This is all regardless of their current kibble intake. Because admit it, having a nice fresh rack of lamb is infinitely better than eatting some dehydrated crap.

If you start feeding your cat raw meet, I bet you he will, for the most part, stop leaving you warm bloody gifts at your feet. Not to mention, it's damn healthy for them.

A bell didn't interfere with my cat's ability to hunt. He figured out how to walk smoothly while hunting in order for it to not jingle.

Put a lot of bells on your cat's collar.
