baby crabs Anonymous
I found 3 baby crabs walking in my garage just now. It rained yesterday and we're close to a river or something, so I guess they lost their way... Anyway, I feel like keeping them now!

I threw them in a clear plastic cup that was laying around and put like 4 drops of tap water in it, they're even eating the soggy sandwich crumbs from the napkin that was in the cup...

They're going to die aren't they? :(

Pic related, too lazy to find cam.

Probably, unless you let them go....

No, they'll still die.

So you might as well test this "weak spot and massive damage" theory.

what are you, five? Who the fuck decides to keep a wild animal (and probably kill it) just because it's there? AND YOU FUCKERS FROM HICK-STATES NEED NOT APPLY.

tap water really messes up animals. Expecially animals who breath the water. Tap water has a few chemicals in it as well as contains high levels of certain menerals from the piping. If you get some of the water from the river that would be much better, but if they've been in that tap water for too long the damage might already be done

I wouldn't keep them, but at least get a water conditioner from the local pet store or use spring water. x.x

OP doesnt want them to die? OP releases back to fucking river

OP is a homocidal fuck who enjoys pain and animal cruelty? OP starves them to death with cup

Whether he keeps them or lets them go, their chances of survival are about the same. They'll either die from improper care or be stepped on, run over, eaten, become diseased, kill each other, get killed by larger crabs, etc.

Unless you've already got a freshwater aquarium setup with an established nitrogen cycle and a ph/temp similar to your local river, yeah, they're going to die.

You should take them and release them into the lake so they can be eaten by fish or birds or whatever.

Either way, they're going to die. Nature's awesome like that.
