New to guinea Anonymous
hay /an/droids,

a couple months ago, i found this little bugger in a parking lot. seeing as it didn't look like its natural habitat, i decided to give him a home with me.
i call him Tweek, a la South Park character, because of how he was initially scared of everything. still is, but less so. you can pet his head but if you try anywhere else he runs away.
how do i take care of a guinea pig?
i change his bedding and put pellets and lettuce in his bowl, occasionally cut his nails. i just wish he was more friendly.

Guinea pigs need Vitamin C supplements that you can put in their water, and can be bought at pretty much any pet store. Other than that it seems like youre doing fine, but is that cedar bedding you're using? That's not good for guinea pigs as it can cause respiratory problems because of the smell and some other shit in it.

OP here,
thanks alot about the cedar tip, but are all guinea pigs always this sketchy and anti-petting?

My guinea pigs always run for their little igloo when I pet them while they're inside their cage. But when I take them out and pet them while they're in my arms or whatever, they're fine. If your guinea pig freaks out when its out of its cage, especially after a couple months with you, I'd assume it was abused and someone just dropped it off in that parking lot. Give it a few more months, I think it won't be as scared because it's in a safer place.
