don't drive through the flooded streets....

If you live in North East, USA, this is what your streets look like today...

Can't believe people that are so stupid to drive into a flood just because they think they're truck or SUV should be tough enough to withstand.

damn i live in jersey. i haven't seen anything close to that bad. i'm sure it might be pretty bad for people who live on the deleware river though.
>>
This was Westchester County, NY. It's never gotten this bad before. We have a brook behind those houses, and it overflowed.

Yeah. I'm in Jersey too and its nothing like that here in my town. Maybe by the bar or Laurence Harbor but thats it.

Port Chester / Harrison

Meh, here in Virginia we just got crappy rain and wind. Barely any flooding.

anybody know about further north? i have friends up there...
>> Anonymous
NYC is getting pretty rained up too.
>> Anonymous
Lies. I saw my streets today and they were no more flooded than the usual rainy day.
>> Anonymous
goddamn, make me not want to look outside.
there's a decent chance of it, though. it's been raining since this morning, and we've had floods before.

On an unrelated side note: Middle Europe just had a nice Summer Weekend, with the highest temps ever recorded for April...
I'm in Holland right now, and i haven't seen a cloud all weekend.

lol yeah my mom was just over for my cousin's wedding in Scotland and said the same thing.

Right now our rain storm is still going strong but has changed to a sort of mushy hail composition. I've heard rumors of snow but as of yet I haven't seen it.

Rain kept me up all night. There's one warped piece of vynal siding on my house directly under my window and if one piece of rain hits it, it makes a loud TWANG sound. So I heard that sound all night in this stupid storm.

It ends Tuesday. But right now I'm still melting.

I live in Jersey and there are parts of my town where the water is up to your bumper, although there aren't any houses right there.

I live at the top of a hill so water doesn't come in, but a lot of my friends and neighbors got basements fulla water. Also, classes at the university where I work have been cancelled, and I'm supposed to hand in a research report to my PI today and ain't no way in hell he's commuting from his apartment in Manhattan today.

Same here in Maryland, or at least in middle Maryland.

Beford, NH area

The Merrimack River is spilling its guts all over the god damned place. Some poor bastard had the hill behind his house dissolve and spill mud and large trees all over his god damned roof.

My guess is the house is now totalled.

WCSH 6 here in Maine is doing their usual Storm Center panic, talking about how horrible the flooding is and there's this hilarious weird wind whistling in the studio.

I like how flooding is bigger news than the VT thing. $ > college students' lives

I live in nh, and it sucks.
I can't get out of my town, and no one can get in as of right now.
