My dwarf hamster just sleeps most of the time and i never really seen it use the exercise wheel. It also barely eats and drinks. I don't know if my hammy has diabetes, hibernating, some other sickness, tumor, or just plain lazy. I am worried that it will not survive. I got the hamster from my friend, so I don't know if it is because of a change in environment or it FREAKEN lazy.

Is your hamster alone? It could be depressed or lonely.

even when it was with my two other hamsters, it spent most if its time sleeping and rarely using the wheel. It might be that it is old, depressed, or diabetic. Thanks anyway. I transferred her to another cage by herself and i don't know if it can get lonely since it is the most social type of hamster (dwarf hamster)

You watch it 24/7?

Hamsters aren't strictly nocturnal, but a lot of them are way more active at night.
