I know it probably doesn't count as a fish but here's an octopus I caught near lake cumberland in a creek.

I've only ever seen them in one creek and I got lucky finding that one in a piece of drift wood. They usually get under a big rock or down a hole pretty quick when they see you.

I had a blue channel catfish for a while. (pic related, not him, but a bcc anyway)
Of course, had no idea what I was letting myself in for; by the time he was half the length of his 3rd tank (4ft tank by this point), and we were thinking of giving him to the Sealife Centre, he corked it. :( I miss him sometimes.

If I ever win the lottery, I'm making a tank the size of a ROOM and keeping another channel cat, they're awesome. [/pipedream]

I was trying to raise some bass once, but they ate my golden trout so I fed them to my turtles.

And then several kinds of killies, with my clowns being my favorite.
None of these fish including the killies are over an inch long

I wish I could get a picture of my guppy/molly cross. He's white, has a long lyre tail and long fins, and some grey spots going down his spine. He's got the longer body of a guppy.

I bet somebody let them go there, because I don't think octopi usually live in freshwater.

Somebody disposed of them in a creek.

Germany has a few piranhia populations in creeks near powerplants, the water is warm enough for them survive all year round.

Nuclear power plants can turn a desert or a tundra into a tropical oasis, because they pump and heat vast amounts of water.

The crocodile fish isn't very agressive, atleast from what I've seen and read. Keep them with larger fish. Similar looking fish that are pretty agressive are gars. I've known the needle gar to be a bit nippy;____;
