Move to another state. If the state finds out that you have an illegal ferret not only will they confiscate the animal but they will also cut the beast's head off in front of you while an animal control officer (usually a patrolman who took a three hour night course in animal welfare) shouts "YOU DID THIS YOU KILLED THIS INNOCENT ANIMAL HOW CAN YOU LIVE AFTER BETRAYING THIS POOR ANIMAL LIKE THIS" punctuating the latter portion by thrusting the decapitated head into your face.

yes, go to Vegas, do whatever and comeback with a ferret. You are kinda expected to do this since places like walmart still carry ferret related products.

I hear they confiscate the ferret and take it to another state. You go there and buy the critter back.

Seriously? Drive to Reno or Las Vegas, depending on which is closer. That's what everyone I know did.

You'd also be surprised how many idiots advertise in the papers.

I've seen a ferret in a vet's office. I asked if they weren't illegal. They answered that they'd care for them, anyway.
Guess they won't snitch on you, so get it's vaccines and shit, OP!
