I came home today from a weekend at my parents house to find an eviction notice on my door for a pet violation. In all honesty this is the 3rd strike so according to the lease contract I am supposed to be evicted at this point. Since they gave it to me the day I left apparently right after I left I can claim that I haven't received it til today and get another 3 days to which I should remove my belongings. Anon of /b/ recommended this:

Any suggestions?

So you own a cat in an apartment complex that doesn't allow them?

You signed a lease, I assume. Trying to fight for keeping that apartment and your cat will be useless.

I recommend moving to an apartment that will allow you to keep your cat.

So long as you actually ARE actively moving your stuff out, I doubt they'll quibble about the date details.

What a stupid catfag. You deserve what you get. Next time find a place that actually ALLOWS pets.

On another note, the neighborhood I live in is all under the authority of one landlord, who doesn't allow pets (it's in the lease). Our neighbors took in a stray dog who has been a problem (tried to bite my dad, barked, growled at my Grandma and wouldn't let her off the porch, messing with kids around the nieghborhood), and the landlord has been told several times and hasn't done anything about it.
Who should I call, if anyone, or should I take it into my own hands?
Also, they've got the dog chained up now.

If the dog is chained up now, I don't see how it can be a menace to anyone else. However, if you do have a legitimate problem with someone else's dog, then see if you can document the problem--take pictures or video and write down the details and then talk to the owners about it. If they can't or won't do anything, then talk to the police and animal control and file a report. Keep collecting your documentation. If the police / animal control have been notified and still the problems persist then they can do something serious about it.

So do you actually have a documented case of depression? Otherwise that link is pretty well useless. Even with depression, you need to have a psychiatric note.

I'd recommend moving to a place that allows pets, though, it would be your safest bet.
