This is my cat. He pisses in my bathtub. What do I do? Hit him?
>> Anonymous
Clean your cat's litter box. It's probably nasty as hell.

Also, getting a second litter box is always a good idea. The best thing is to have a litter box for every cat you have, plus an extra one. So 1 cat = 2 boxes. 2 cats = 3 boxes, etc.

Fill the bathtub with two inches of water.
>> Anonymous
You deal with it because it's a mother fucking cat.

The litter box is cleaned nearly after every shit because the fucker won't let me rest with his meowing if he finds that I haven't cleaned the shit out from last time.

This piss is really concentrated and smells up the entire bathroom. I get the feeling that it might not even be piss, but some sort of concentrated evil escaping his pisshole to spite me in some way.

Yeah, you just be glad he doesn't use YOU for a toilet.

Bitch.

I second this notion.

Spray it with water if you catch it. Put his nose in it and spray him with water if you don't.

Close the bathroom door? Neutering him cuts back on the smell as well, as does some baking soda in or around your cat litter. I have a cat that if he's upset about something he'll shit in the tub. Glade plug-ins are a must.

I had to take care of a particularly smelly little kitten recently, so I've got more than enough experience with a stinky feline. Oh, well, he's someone else's problem now...

Water = yes, nose thing = no. It'll fuck up your cat's nose and make him sick, not to mention that it's a good way to incur flesh wounds...
>> Anonymous
>>247833
Fuck it up? How? It's just piss, it's not like it's hurting him.

Besides, I declawed my cat (completely) and it's never hurt me with it's teeth so he's fine. Now at least.

Urea, ever heard of it? It's part of what gives piss that strong smell and it's actually harmful if you breathe too much of it in. And declawed or not, cats have teeth.
>> Anonymous
>>247836
Nope, never heard of it. He's already stopped so I'm not worried about it anymore.

And like I said, he's never hurt me with his teeth.

His balls, they are not there. He was already properly deballed when I adopted him at 3 last year.

The cat litter doesn't smell as bad as this.

And it's only one bathtub too. The other one gets left alone.

I must discipline him.

I used to have a cat that would do that, would also do it in the bathroom sink too

Wash your bathtub.
>> Anonymous
oh like you never took a leak in the bath tub

you should be happy he is pissing somewhere with a drain
>> Anonymous
clean your bathtub with bleach, it will get rid of the smell and he might find the smell of bleach offensive. so that takes care of 2 problems~ unless you have a crazy for a cat like me and it turns out he likes the smell of bleach. my cat purposely inhales the bleach fumes by sleeping in the newly cleaned bathroom. and if i close the door, which i normally do, he will cry until it gets opened.

>>247834
Because it's cruel and stupid, that's why. It just makes the cat think normal behaviour (pooping and peeing) is wrong and confuses him. DON'T rub his nose in it!!!

>>247883

Don't use bleach, cats associate ammonia with piss.

Easiest way to stop is to put an extra food and water bowl in the bathtub. Cats won't piss where there is food and drink.
>> Anonymous
be happy hes not pissing in your dresser drawers?
>> Barksalot !!bUy38Am5hmk

Bleach does not contain ammonia - you are thinking of disinfectant. If you mix bleach and ammonia, you will create deadly chlorine gas. If you pour bleach into an old, wet with piss kitty litter box, you will also create chlorine gas, because the shit/urine partly degrades into ammonia!

OP, keep water in the tub, but before, rinse/scrub with laundry powder, rinse, then bleach and rinse again.
Also: Boo for de-clawing BTW, but cute and well looked after kitty anyway.

As long as it works out in the end.

Count your lucky stars! I wish my cat pissed in the tub when her litter isn't dirty.

Instead she pees on my shoes or anything absorbent on the floor.

Praise it for not pissing somewhere with a drain, or put a motion sensor hooked to an airhorn in the tub, five second delay so you can shut it off and take it out when you need to use the tub.
