So there's this feral kitten who I've been feeding that has started to become super friendly. Every time I open the door and he's outside he tries to get in and wants attention. I know that feral kittens like this can be adopted but does anyone have experience doing so? I feel bad for the poor thing and would like it give him a nice home, especially since my older cat recently passed away and I would love to have another kitty in my life. He is friendly and likes to be pet sometimes, but I'm worried that he would have a hard time adjusting to being a housecat. He's only around 4 months old so I was hoping if I adopted him now he'd be likely to adapt well. Advice?pic sorta related.
tl:dr;How well do feral kittens do being adopted as pets?
The kitten will adapt fine. If it was an older cat I'd say no but kittens are all good.
Both of my cats were feral. The male was a couple weeks old and the female was about a year old. They have developed just fine into normal housecats.
All my cats were feral, adjusting to being a housecat is easy. i think....
just feed it and forget about it... cats think that they're doing YOU a favour by being where you are...
