okay google doesnt know, and yahoo doesnt know... even wikipedia doesnt know..what sound does a buffalo(or bison) make? *double kudo's to whoever has a soundlink*.do they moo? do they heehaw? squawk? grunt? howl? I asked some native american friends of mine and they said "ask the internet".

buffalo (scientific name: Bison bison) make a grunting/snorting noise similar to cattle grunts. They dont do the classic cow "moo"

Those are Bison; they're only distantly related to actual Buffalo, which can be found throughout southeast Asia and Africa. Referred to as American Buffalo sometimes, because of the centuries-old confusion of terms.

i go to CU and our mascot is a delightfull bufalo named ralphie. he makes a mooish sound. happier than most cattle though, so hard to compare
