How adoptable are feral kittens /an/? There's one who I've been feeding that has become very friendly. He's only a few months old and whenever I open the door he tries to run inside and starts purring. I'm not sure if it would be better to try and adopt him or to just let him be. There are a lot of other ferals around my apartment community and they seem to do just fine since a lot of people leave out food for them, and it's fairly isolated from traffic. What would be better for a kitten like this?

I'd say that since he's so friendly, and seems like he actually wants to be in your home. I'd say try to actually make him a pet. Since he's a male, he's bound to get into fights with other males over territory.

Also, it'll reduce the chance of him getting parasites or other diseases from an outside life. Keep him from being attacked by a predator, and even though your area is fairly isolated from traffic, there's STILL traffic that he could be hit by.

I'd say bring him into your home, take him to a vet and have the vet check him over. Have him spayed and give him lots of love.

Sounds like you've got yourself a pet already and that he's already adopted you as an owner. If it is indeed a he as you say you might want to have him neutered and not spayed lulz.

Ohh whoops. Meant to say Neutered. EITHER WAY. GET HIM FIXED.

Also meant to say that since he's a male, he's bound to get into fights with other males once he hit's sexual maturity.

spayed is also gender neutral -_-;
