I got angry at my cat for shitting in my room a couple of times so I stopped letting in my room. Now I haven't seen her all day and I can't find her. It's possible she escaped outside but she's an indoor cat. She's been outside once before, and she came back then. I hope she comes back soon. She didn't come when I opened a can of catfood, and she always does.

They always come back.

She's most likely sleeping somewhere hidden in your house. If you don't see her by tomorrow, then you can worry.

If it does seem like she got outside, try leaving out her food where you can see it. It could possibly draw her back if she catches the scent. Just make sure strays or other wild animals don't get it.

I decided to check around the house again after this thread.
This time she came out from under some chair in the indoor-porch. I checked there a few times before but some reason didn't find her. She's been there all day long. Stupid cat....
she's always doing this too

When they get annoyed or angry at you some cats will avoid you on purpose, their not dogs so their not going to forgive you right away like dogs do. If she disappears after you scold her or the like the best thing to do is simply wait, they always come back sooner or later.
Unless of course their dead.

Its okay anon, we actually lost our black lab puppy for like a half hour just because she was sleeping in a shadow right next to our couch. fucking hilarious now that I think back on it.

Well it's weird she didn't come out when I kept looking for her. She normally does. She probably was actually avoiding me, which is funny since she's actually VERY clingy.

Cats hold grudges, but they know who feeds them every day. I just leave my cat alone when she gets moody.

dont be a dick then, and she might stop running away.

my cat did this and we would always tell her NOOOOOO!!!! ....she still did it.... -__- but we realized she would only do it if she was unhappy with us about something.....so maybe this is your cats way of telling you YOU FAIL. or i also read that it could be that she doesnt like the cat litter you provide, or its not clean enough. you can also try putting another litter box closer to your room...

This is why house cats suck. Seriously, just get an outdoor cat. I know living in an urban area won't work so well, but even in a suburban area, your cat will enjoy going out and exploring more than being confined to the house. It isn't unnatural for my cat to disappear for days at a time and come home all of a sudden. Often with a few dead mice.
