op here, how do you tell the difference between wild and domestic rabbits

Wild ones bite you more and have heart attacks if you pick them up. Domestic ones just shit on you.

There IS a test. You have to stick your finger about three and three quarters of an inch up it's ass. Then come back and tell us if it feels mushy or hard.

dude, i dont live in chicago, but i visit family there every summer. over the past 2-3 years, ive noticed the population of wild rabbits go through the roof. those fuckers seem to have replaced squirrels. why would you want one as a pet?

If you keep it, you need to buy some timothy hay, alfalfa, or clover, it makes up the bulk of their diet. It can't live on carrots alone.

I caught a baby two years ago. And released it after about 5 months. They grow quickly. I still see it from time to time and put food out for her.

I know it's her because any other rabbit would run if I came out. Plus after raising her for five months, I can distinctly identify her from other rabbits.
