If you feed your rabbit mostly pellets, you'll end up with a miserable animal with overgrown teeth and GI problems. I've had 6 house rabbits since I was growing up and over that time I went from being totally ignorant of propper rabbit care to being a veritable expert on their maintenance and nutrition.
Put in a little effort and locate a place where you can buy a barnyard-sized bale of *Timothy* hay, and a place to keep said bale in your house or toolshed. Give him a table spoon of pellets (Kaytee should be fine, since it's such a small ammount) a day, 1/2 cup leafy veggies, and free choice hay. Introduce the fresh veggies in small ammounts and you should be fine.
Also, fuckin' spay or nueter it or it'll turn into a little asshole. Sadly enough, it's true that most pet stores don't give a shit whether or not they give good information to their customers.
