That's some kind of stick bug. Stick bugs aren't that scary, with the possible exception of certain species that can spray you with ickiness.

OH MY GOD

I'm normally very easygoing about spiders and other things with long, multiple legs, however

This pictures made me go OH GOD AHHHHHHHH and now I actually have creepy crawlies. I would like to go hide under a blanket now.

Deer ked (lipoptena cervi), or hirvikärpänen as it is called here in Finland. I hate those goddamn bastards. You go into the woods in autumn and your hair is full of them. And they immediately drop their wings and start to crawl and they just won't die. You can try as much as you want, but they're like made of rubber. After one walk in a forest I found 15 of those in my hair...

>> Anonymous
>>72950
They are about the size of a normal fly but their legs are thicker. Once they have dropped their wings they also look like spiders. Spiders that can't be killed. Also when they crawl in your hair you can very much feel it's every move, but it's still hard to find. Once I hit one with a hammer and it didn't die.
>> Anonymous
>>73208
Sharp objects are your weapon of choice against these tiny demons, since they seem to be immune to blunt trauma. You need to grow your nails long enough, and then crush the little bastard between them until it gets cut in half. If you happen to have a puukko with you, that will work too, but then you need to find some suitable surface to cut the critter against.

The same strategy works against ticks too, BTW.
>> Anonymous
With ticks? I think not. If they're already burrowed into your flesh you do not want to be fucking with them poking them, trying to splice them with nails/etc. They just freak out when you touch them alot and release venom in far greater doses than they would otherwise.
>> Anonymous

>> Anonymous
>>73231
Obviously not while attached to flesh! There are good tools for removing the tick from the skin, but the damn thing stays alive, so you'll have to kill it somehow afterwards.
