OP here:

Here is a bit about my aquarium background i have been keeping aquariums of all types for about 18 years and i am a grad student working on a masters on thesis on diatoms (i won't bore you about the details of my research) so i am not the usual incompetent aquarium keeper who usually buys something because it i looks cool. so if anybody has any knowledge or experience with toadfish i would be very greatful

Well, that was pretty dumb of you to buy a fish you don't know about, wasn't it?

The Orange Toadfish is an interesting bottom-dwelling predator for a large aggressive aquarium. They have a flattened body with a very large mouth and are often light to dark orange in color.

These fish have been known to prey on tankmates and will especially eat inverts like shrimp and crabs. Do not keep with small fish or in a reef aquarium!

Toadfish can usually handle less pristine water quality than other fish, but plenty of filtration should still be provided to make up for their messy eating habits.

Fuck no. TF just likes to point out slight inconsistencies with other's reasoning in order to quash her own inner shame and self-loathing.

Has more to do with most posters here being like "Duurrr I gots me a animal, how do I take care of it? Does it need water?" when there's obviously Google there for them, and we all know that they have internet access, so really they're just showing off their critters. They aren't fooling me.

Shame, self loathing, etc.
