So this "newly" found dinosaur Futalognkosaurus dukei is apparently not only a new species, but also a new group. What do they mean by that anyway? It's still a Sauropod, right?

I wish to know what it looked like.

you guys do know how to work the internets right?
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Sauropsida
Superorder: Dinosauria
Order: Saurischia
Suborder: Sauropodomorpha
(unranked) Titanosauria
Genus: Futalognkosaurus

By "different group," they basically mean a new little niche clade within titanosauria, which in itself is a derived group of sauropods. Still a sauropod, still a titanosaurid sauropod, but it doesn't fall into one of the existing titanosaurid clades like nemegtosauridae or opisthocoelicaudinae or aeolosaurini or anything like that.

I hate it when a misspelling ends up as a scientific name. Anybody can see it was supposed to be Futalongosaurus.

That's how it's pronounced anyway. But I think it's more some crazy native South American word than a typo.

Fake edit: Just looked it up before posting this. "Lognko" is Mapudungun for "Chief."

I believe that the Order listed is incorrect. It should be "mustelidae."
