I've lived in TX for the past 20+ years and that is DEFINATLEY an Anole. They can change colors between green and brown. Like most (all?) reptiles they need a warm enviornment, and these guys will eat pretty much any kind of insect that is smaller than they are. I have kept them as pets before and fed them flies, small crickets, and mealworms. They are easy to keep in captivity. Keep the terrarium warm and fairly dry. Every once in a while spray some water onto the side of the aquarium and they'll lap it up with their tongue. For temperature control you can buy "hot rocks" or similar items at most pet stores. These are a fake rock with a weak electric heater inside. They are quite cheap. Stick one of those at one end of the terrarium and leave the other end unheated. That way if they want to bask they can go sit on the hot rock, but if they want it cooler they can get away from it.
