Cat uses the bathroom when I do Anonymous
When I get up in the morning, I usually go to the bathroom first thing.. and my cat always follows me and hops into the litterbox and goes pee, despite the fact that he's been up for hours already.

When I get home from work, I take a leak too, and he always hops in and does the same.

When I drop the kids off at the pool, he almost always drops the kittens off at the litterbox.

What gives? Does anyone else's cat piss and crap in tandem?

Your cat is mocking you.

Well, a lot of cats know when "bed time" is. I know mine does. He'll only jump on me and knead when I'm crawling in bed. Maybe your cat has designated "potty time"

at what age did you get your cat? I know when i have had ones since they were babies, they'll tend to copy my schedule. I'm "cat-sitting" for a friend now, I've only had this cat a month, and now he tells me when bedtime is...lol

My cat will do that for bed time, but actually a few of the ones I live with will come running in all happy whenever I sit down to take a dump. It's like they know I've got nothing to do and nowhere to go.

My cat does that as well...of course, he's locked in thr bathroom until we get him fixed - he pissed on 400.00 worth of stuff.

Haha, funny stuff. Seriously though I get all mine fixed as young as possible.

I usually do as well, but this was an emergency rescue, i didn't get him til he was 8 months old - he's due to be fixed in a few weeks at my local vet. Damn cat.

Cats are very habitual and regular creatures, and it looks like you also happen to be the same. The cat may have designated its time with you at first, but it's now probably following its own daily routine.

My friend's grandmother had a cat, and KNEW the grandmother disliked my friend's father. Cat was trained to sit on human toilet, and according to my friend, would *always* go to the toilet just before his father manages to enter the bathroom. Now THAT's pure spite.

I rescued this cat at about 2 months old (based roughly on the fact that his eyes were still in mid-color change.)

pic is from the day I brought him home. please disregard the ear mites =P

Yoda-cat Yoda is.

I used to live with a cat who'd join me in the 1mx0.5m-ish toilet whenever she could, and if I managed to close the door before she could enter, she'd lay down outside and paw at the door until I came out. She'd only do this with me though.

Back when she was a wee kitten, on the rare occasions when my flat mates were all out and I had the place to myself (and thus had the door open when I was taking a dump), she'd jump into my pants and purr herself to sleep.

I'd be such a catfag if I didn't have my allergies (cats, horse, grass and two types of trees, started with grass).

How'd you get rid of the mites?

You can buy anti-mite powder or cream from vet. It's cheap and effective.

My cat sometimes tries to sit on my lap when I'm taking a shit.

Mine either sit in front of the bathroom door, or come in. My boy usually leaves his toy mice in there, and my girl wants to be petted.
basically it's:
PET ME BITCH
time

google how to toilet train a cat, you'll save on kitty litter. and teach it to wait it's turn :P

heh.. yeah, this one has to be wherever I am at almost all times, including sitting on the tile floor while I take a shower.

Thanks.

the vet put a liquid of some kind into both his ears and apparently they're immediately dead at that point. haven't had a problem since.

ITT cat owners that never heard of pair bonding.

Get 2 cats so they can bond with each other if you don't want one following you around all the time.

Nice plan, but won't necessarily work. We have two cats, from the same litter even, and they have no interest in bonding with each other. I guess the other thinks human routines are more interesting while the other just basically ignores what others do.
