I just found out that poison arrow frogs don't produce their own poison, but get it by eating poisonous ants, which in turn get their poison from poisonous plants. Neat!

In a similar way, this one sea slug species becomes poisonous by eating sea anemone tentacles. And I think monarch butterflies become poisonous by eating a certain plant as caterpillars.

That'd be milkweed that they eat as caterpillars.
