took a lot of searching but found it!! its called a numbat here - Numbats are cute, striped marsupials with bushy tails. They are strictly termite eaters, which they eat when it warms up enough for the termites to become active in rotting logs and under leaf litter. They sniff and scratch, turning over soil and breaking into logs to expose the termites; then they stretch out their long tongue to mop them up. Numbats have teeth but they can't chew; they just swallow as many as 20,000 termites a day.
