hello /an/

i have a question for you. what should i do if my cat is losing the fur on her tail? in the spots that she's lost fur she has sores and scabs. the same thing happened to her neck but after a few baths it cleared up but her tail won't.
i think she might have feline leukemia and i don't know what to do?

picture related, it's my cat. her name is lucy.

If you're so scared she has leukemia then why the hell aren't you at the vet?

God damn /an/ is full of fucktards.

i gave them away, i assumed their new owners would take them to a vet.

If you're using your own computer and have internet acess you can afford a vet. Most have payment plans available. Stop being a cheap fuck when it comes to the well-being of your pets.

If you have the audacity to own an animal and think you'll never need to take them to the vet, you're a fucking terrible pet owner. Seriously. That's not fair to your pets.

GET A JOB.

2 weeks worth of a pay even at a shitty job should cover one vet visit, unless, of course, your cat has cancer, in which case you shouldn't own a cat anyway if you can't afford vet check ups.

seriously, your cat doesn't have vaccinations? you don't take her for routine vet checks? That's so fucked up.

Yeah. "I can't afford it" is not fucking excuse. I managed to afford taking my kitten to the vet when he had an upper respiratory infection and I had no income at all.
A checkup is usually not expensive, and if it comes down to her needing medication, almost all vets have payment plans you can get on.

Also. Google is your friend.

Sounds like Mange to me. I'm not sure if there's a cure or not, but a vet should know what to do.

Holy shit, don't get a damn pet if you can't afford it.

If you probably took her to the vet for her regular check ups, she should be fine by now because the problem can be detected earlier.

sores and scabs is probably mange. she is going to die.

/an/ is full of pretentious faggots who have never owned farm cats before

Actually, I have two farm cats and through my life we've always had strays that we take care of.

We may not take them to the vet, but we still get medications from the vet for them, such as wormers, flea medicine, eye drops, antibiotics and whatnot.
Doesn't matter if it's inside or out, it needs vet care somehow.

Yeah, it does sound like she has mange, it's one of the only skin irritations/diseases that makes them scab, or else it's fleas. Those are pretty much the only two options.

I take all of my barn cats to the vet.

Are you saying that people actually...don't?

your cat might have ring worm... because that causes sores and hair to fall out.. take her to the vet for a check up.

Wtf are you doing asking 4chan assholes? Get that cat to a vet NOW. Amen.
