Trust me, they're all jerks.

And hopefully your cat will be okay, but I'm not a doctor so I don't know. Have a kitty for your time.

I know a few cats that have gotten tumors. It is a sad fact of life but shit dies. Best thing to do is just to put him down (if he does indeed have a tumor or cancer). Have the vet do it if you can afford it, and if you can't, take him out and use a .22. Sounds mean but trust me, it isn't. Just love him up before and let him feel loved.
Pic my cat who is fat and sassy.

dude, 14 is pretty old for a cat.

as for the growth, it'll probably be a quick routine surgery.

It could be just a benign growth. My dog got a few of those as he got older. We got them checked out, and the vet said it was nothing to worry about. He drained it, and said that it might come back and if I really wanted to he would remove it again, but it wasn't necessary. So, it could be something as harmless as that, caused by old age, or...it could be worse. I hope for the best for you and your kitty. With all luck, it'll be benign. :]

Consider yourself lucky for having him for 14 years. Also, it might be the good thing to just end it for him if he has a tumor. Or else he'll suffer horribly.
