i did that with a spider i found once except i put it in a container and threw in other spiders in my house as a sort of competition. needless to say the big guy won endlessly till one day i found a bigger one and he died. then i dropped the container and out he went.

its a brown huntsman spider (aka. cane spider). Where do you live? Hawaii?

i live in japan for the moment. is it poisonous?
>> Anonymous
Ya their in japan. its bite isn't that bad it wont really hurt you (swelling/redness) and they don't bite much anyways. it will run super fast so if you want to kill it do it right the first time.

>> Newbies guide to catching spiders Anonymous
Get a stiff piece of card or paper and a large plastic cup. Try not to be panicky around him as he'll sense it. Gently slide card under spider's feet, slowly. Put cup/glass over him so he doesn't escape. Lift up card and glass together, keeping cup/glass firmly in place. Take outside/wherever and set spider free. Do things in relaxed manner. You are far bigger than him so he's got much more to fear from you than the other way around.
No harm done. No bad karma in your next life:)

Be careful they have a lot of health, weak against magic.

Looks a little bit like a Brown Recluse. I recommend you kill it.

a good spraying with some bug spray also does wonders. Make sure the thing is soaking in the stuff, or at least showering in it. Its gonna scatter-run though, be warned.
