So /an/ I've got a 25g aquarium which I've got ready for fish but I'm considering switching to either a spider or maybe some sort of reptile. What should I do guys.

25g tank is probably better for a reptile..that's a LOT of space for a spider. ..unless you had an orbweaver and could set it up for one of those..but as far as tarantulas go..they don't need that much room. Crickets could die on their own before they even found their way to the spider depending on how the set up would be.

Orbweaver? Is that a tarantula? I googles it and it seems to be just a plan web spider.

Nope, orbweavers aren't tarantulas. They are just like what you saw when you looked it up. The web would take up plenty of space..but I would still say go with a reptile with a tank that big. A 10g is plenty large for an adult tarantula.

Come to think about it... I wonder how frogs would be... Seems a waste to spend nearly 200 bucks on the water pump, heater, filter / ornaments ect.

Wonder about turtles... Hmm... So lost.

Get a male Western Hognose snake. Once they grow up a bit, they're extremely active. Mine in the picture sometimes seems to spend 5 hours a day crawling around his enclosure.

Carpet Pythons are also active, though you'll need to get them a larger enclosure eventually.

Ball Pythons are pig disgusting and don't fucking do anything. Stay away from them. They are bland snakes. But snakes will be your best option if you want a medium sized animal to handle and keep in a 25 gallon tank. Just pick the right sized species (hognose).

Hate to break it to you, but spiders typically spend a lot of time sitting around waiting for food to come by. They wander around a bit though but it really varies from spider to spider. I've had some that I almost never saw..which got to the point where I actually went into the tank to verify it was actually still in there! hah

The only reptiles I've ever owned were snakes. They hid out a lot but I would catch them burrowing around through their aspen shavings or catching a drink from time to time. Ehh I guess they'd be out and about quite a bit too...depended on how bright it was in the room and if there were a lot of vibrations from loud music or people moving around/in and out of the room. A lot of time I could just see their heads sticking out from underneath some cork bark.
