Attacus atlas moth is HUGE

It had a sign below it that said "yes this is real, do not touch!" It was literally a foot wide.

I'd have to touch it after what the sign said.

How can you be afraid of a moth? They don't even have teeth, stingers, or anything. The most they could do is ram you, and that would hurt them far more than you.

They're basically brown butterflies. You're creeped out by brown butterflies. You sissy.

the good news is they barely fly, and mostly just stay still.
Anyone else notice that the sides of it's wings look like the head of a snake?

Moths are as beautiful as any butterfly.

Moths > Butterflies.
Butterflies are scared little shits that you can't even get close to without them going OHBAJESUS, and they skitter away. Moths are just as pretty, furry, and nice little things that will happily crawl around on you.
There was one at my old house who would lay under the shadow I made for shade. He followed the shadow wherever I moved. Cute little thing.

Is it just me, or do the upper tips of its wings look like snake heads? On each side, I see scales, a black eye, and jaws.

They fly away because they don't want to get fucking eaten or squashed. If moths don't move, they're fucking stupid.

butterflies > moths
only two moths i like is the moth is OP's picture, lunar moths and the pink&yellow ones.
plus i got like 11 months in my house and i have no fucking clue where they are coming from.

Oh God I think I found one of these things a while ago. It was making this horrible wet sounding wheezing noise. Freaked me the hell out.

Moths are awesome. I love 'em.

I'm pretty sure they said it was alive, and that it was active at night, but they really don't move that much. They're kind of too big to fly, they just glide on the wind if they need to go anywhere.
>>133487
lol, I'm suprised it didn't break your windshield.

I was just confused because they had a sign by it. I guess if it didn't move around that much they wouldn't have to relocate the sign too many times.

Some African and South American moths drink tears, or even puncture the skin and drink blood. And more than a few tropical varieties have urticating scales to discourage predation.

I love moths. Most of them aren't bald like lukemia ass butterflies.
