Lost cat Anonymous
hi /an/

I've been looking after 3 cats for a couple days now, and everything is going smoothly except for one thing...I cant find one of the cats.

I wasn't worried at 1st because this cat has a known reputation for being very shy and house-bound, but its been over a week since I saw her last. She doesn't even show up like the other two for feeding time.

Should I be worried? If so, how should I go about looking for her? I have 1 week until the owners return.

She's probably not used to you and is hiding for you. Are you there 24/7 or do you just drop by? She probably comes out when you leave

OP here- I spend most of my time downstairs and I know she usually likes to be upstairs...she would have plenty of time to go hide if I went up to look for her

So look for her. She can only be under so many beds or chairs. Get a flashlight. Even if she's around, she might not being coming out for food and bathroom. Check rooms you don't expect her to be in.
At worst, you could scare her out. I used to have a very skiddish cat (she got mostly over it) and I would have to stick out something long to flush her out of her hiding places. Eventually, over time she would just come out when I looked for her without resorting to that, and eventually she wouldn't even hide.
