I'm pretty sure that's a farm. They'll be slaughtered and eaten.

They're eaten in South America. High in protein and low in fat, mmmmm.

I had three or so guinea pigs. One was once missing, found few days later, cold dead. Second died in accident, I don't remember how. Third one has broke it's spinal cord. Well, I did it, 'cause I hugget it too strong.
My bunny outlived them all by many times. Also, bunnies have white teeth, and guinea pigs have teeth of color of rust.

Waaait... Was these guinea pigs or hamsters...? Who cares.

Grey agouti is an awesome color!

Here's Pop. He's a bizzare mix of brown agouti and roan.

Doesn't look like you'd get that much meat off of one...though they do look like convenient single-serving portions. Quick, someone alert /ck/!

Just Google "cuy" and look at what comes up. We learned in Geography class that it's a cuisine in many Andean countries, usually served with tomatoes and potatoes. I'd say just one (what you eat of it, anyway) is somewhat decent.

They're cute, and I've had about 4 of them growing up, plus one that I got in some interesting circumstances (Was going to be fed to a python, until the python attacked the owner and the police had to kill it, it was in the news). They aren't very sociable to humans unless you care for it for and hold it A LOT. They die too quickly (Shortest one I had was a year, longest I had was eight, but he was a freak of nature) and their upkeep is expensive because if you don't change their cage at least once a week they smell like ammonia.

They are dumb as bricks, and they do squeak alot, but that is all part of the charm. Must be judged on their own merits as pets. As for eating, mine has been on premium grub for a year now and is still pretty much skin, bone, and a whole bunch of hair. Now its not bred for the table, but I see how they can't compete with cows. Too much trouble to raise and butcher for one small meal.
