It is a Swift, and that's not some jargon, that's what they're called. They nest like most other birds, so don't literally spend their whole lives in the air, but AFAIK, that is the only time they stop flying. They even sleep while flying, which is pretty cool. The nests are made in a colony, with the pairs of birds coming back evey year to use the same nest. I don't know if they fuck in the air, or when they get to their nest. Like>>113668said, you have to throw them out an upstairs window, because they can't take off from the ground. If they land, they die.
