theres a fruit I had when I was in brazil, and I forgot the name of it. imagine a watermelon, but bright yellow with spikes covering it. cut it open, and inside there are dozens of little pouches with seeds roughly the size of marbles. you pop the seeds out and you eat the pouches; the pouches are yellow and have a very unique taste. /r/ the name of this fruit.
jack fruit
we call it "jaca"

durian? Is it native to brazil? 'cause they're all over thailandreally delicious but some are put off by the smell
Indeed, tasty and smelly :P The funny thing about "jaca" is that it grows in trees!
>>46358Oh,another brazilian like me^^ Tudo bem?>>46526Yeah...OMG Imagine if the fruit feels of the tree when you are below it...
In Indonesia it's called Nangka, it's different from Durian. Nangka (jack fruit)'s spike is softer and smaller than Durian's, but the size is bigger than durian's.
I never understood why people were put off by the smell. It smells ok to me. But the stickyness though...it's so fucking sticky!
it looks like either jackfruit or breadfruit... i can't tell from the pic. both are from the same family as figs (Moraceae), and get really HUEG: up to 60 lbs!
There is a monkey .... near the red arrow on the fruit
