I'm sure you'd get pics here, but on /x/ it would move faster.

also OP's pic looks like some kind of whacked out schkipperke.

Wow it's the Gevaudan's Beast... French legend ^^I love that story

phantom big cats were a problem around here for a bit (northern ireland that is, not /an/), then they stopped being spotted and people lost interest.

ps, theres a great movie about a french crypto beast(might be the gevaudon) called brotherhood of the wolf, make sure you get it in french with english subtitles, the english dubbed version is lame and makes it a horrible movie.

Aside from the pieces of human remains at its feet that thing actually looks kind of cute.

Considering that it knocked off anywhere from 60 to 123 people, the human remains at its feet are kinda appropriate.

If you had that thing as a pet, nobody'd fuck with you. Assuming you could get it to not eat you.

If legends and mythical creatures are an /x/ thing, maybe I should actually check out /x/.

Hell, I'd love a good discussion on chimera.

Good fucking luck. /x/ used to be my favourite board, but the only successful threads there are the supersitcious freaks vs pedantic athiests, creepy pasta threads and "please give me a list of brix-shitting movies".

Most of the cryptozoo threads never get off the ground or are killed outright by some fucktard posting a picture of a pubescent girl with a huge penis going, "Mwahaha, I win over your *insert beastie here* with my Dracula penis!!! Glory in my power!!!!!!!!!! Look how many exclamation marks I use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

/x/ is essentially /b/ with ghosts. The occasionally successful cryptozoo posts are invariably about the ocean because apparently, /x/ is infested with hydrophobes who can't swim.

I do! Classic and general freak creatures, from sci-fi/horror.

Sometimes a decent freaky-beast thread gets going on Gurochan's /f/reakshow (and if you can put up with the blood, Gurochan is by far the friendliest chan).

Gevaudan's Beast is a pretty cool guy. eh eats people and doesn't afraid of anything

I'm very interested in discussions/pictures of legendary beasts, but I'm unsure what cryptozoology is. I'm too lazy to look it up as I'm about to go to bed :D Anyone care to post?

(And where would that sort of thing belong? /an/ or /x/?)

Cryptozoology is the study of creatures thought to be extinct or nonexistant. For instance, that fish that I can't spell the name of that they thought was extinct for the last 100mil years but found a decade ago off the coast of some Asian country. Another example, Big Foot lol.
