There's a pill you feed your cat that turns her blood poisonous to the fleas. I can't remember the various brand names it's marketed under, but it should be fine.

Also, cat fleas hate human the taste of human blood, and the same flea will not bite you twice.

I would stop using Seargent's if I were you. If you google some reviews of the product you will see that many many people had really bad reactions to it. Some even claiming it killed their cats. Do some research!

I use something that the vet gave me that costs about $50. Can't remember the name right now. Anything cheaper than that doesn't work, believe me I've tried.
This is after my cat spent a month with fleas after trying that Hartz crap. I put the expensive stuff on her and now I'm combing dead fleas out of her hair.

If it's a kitten don't give it any of that stuff, it can kill it.
Give it a bath with baby shampoo. Start at the neck and work down. This will kill the fleas on the cat by suffocating them (SPOILERS: all flea shampoos work this way) Then wash your sheets and get your carpet cleaned, because that's where they lay their eggs.
