It's time for the weekly "How to make two cats get along" thread

I've recently adopted a stray that has been crashing at my friend's house for the past few weeks. I already have a cat that has gotten along fine with others cats but they have since died.

Granted it has only been a few days, but what techniques can I use to ease the aggression between them?

How to make two cats long? Well, you start by lifting them from...

Oh, you said along. Sorry, can't help you.

Put one cat in one room, put the other cat in an adjacent room, and let them sniff and paw at each other from underneath the doors. Do this for a few days. It'll let them get used to each other without violence ensuing. This has worked like a charm for all of my pets.

This is a great idea. I, too, am trying to get a kitten and a year old cat to get along but the cat just acts like a bitch around the baby

Well you gotta understand that the older cat considers your house his territory, so don't get mad at him. Just be patient, eventually they will at least tolerate each other's existence. Just be sure that neither cat gets hurt and you're good as gold.
