Hamsters Anonymous
/an/! I come in search of help!
I've had my hamster since January, since then he has obviously grown a lot etc etc.
Lately, in the last few months, he is waking up later and later...
I know they're nocturnal so yes. He used to get up about 8:30-9pm.
So it's got later and later, now it's 12:46 and he's still not got up -.-

He's not dead, I can see his bedding rustling about at the moment, he came out earlier for a minute and went back to bed.

This is irritating because it means I hardly get to see him and make sure he's alright, plus keeping me awake on his wheel.

Do hamsters hibernate as such? Is my room too cold so he's staying in bed? Is he getting old? Is it anything to be concerned about?

Thanks in advance. Pic related.

Yes, hamsters hibernate.

Thank you :) Last time I had one I was 8 so...hardly likely I payed much attention to it.
I make sure he's eating all his veggies and hamster fuds so he seems healthy enough too.
It's reassuring to know.
