Hey /an/. Does anyone here have this game? /v/ doesn't seem to consider it a true game, so I figure it belongs here. It's essentially an ocean exploration game, with a pretty large variety of marine organisms. It's purely exploration, with no danger of being hurt, and even running out of air simply returns you to your boat. You can learn different bits of information about animals based on how you interact with them (usually you start by learning physical characteristics and general areas where they live, then feeding and behavioral habits). The game is a little limted in that you cannot identify coral or sponge species, and some animal AI isn't very good. And while you're in tropical climates, they throw in a few artic species for the sake of variety.

So, uh, discuss?

kinda makes me sad that there are games like this. what kind of world do we live in

Everyone tells me it's like a super relaxing game, especially if you're stoned.

I've also heard that some of the animal sizes relative to each other are very off.

Yes, it is absurdly relaxing. I'm not sure about animal sizes, but I know the blue whale does seem pretty off.

There is one section of the game that's pretty damn scary, the Abyss. There's some BS about a special air mixture that lets you dive that deeply. It's pitch black even with your flashlight, and there's a sperm whale that likes to swim down there. Scared the shit out of me the first time I saw it. Go at night time to see one of these bastards.
