I have to agree with you there. Anything under 15 hands is a pony here. I prefer to call an actual horse under 15hds a small horse rather than a pony. They're nice because when you fall you don't have as far to go. But a true pony is more likely to throw your ass than a small horse. We've had many a horse and pony over the years, and this has been proven true many a time. If I'm going to get something for a kid, it's going to be a horse. This be the little asshole of a pony we currently own. A POA, broke to death for dressage and jumping. He has the typical pony attitude, he won't miss a chance to kick and all the other horses are weary of him, even my draft cross.
