...Here's an idea, just let it the fuck go, it's going to inevitably die from stress now anyway.

Why, just so it can be eaten by another predator?
>> Skink Bearchubbs
You need a tererrium and they eat bugs like ants. Also, you cannot give them water in a dish. They won't drink, and they WILL die. You instead have to pour water over a rock, they will lick up the water that way. My skink died because I thought they would drink from a dish. Also make sure they eat ants as I was not too sure about their food.

I just get a moist cotton swab and he licks at it. so far the only think he's eaten were some strawberry jelly that i smeared on his face with a cotton swab, ive tried ants and he doesn't even look at them, and lettuce too...im not so sure about that though.

No seriously, let it go. Only keep captive bred reptiles, wild caught just means one less for the population that you are going to kill, and who cares if something eats it, lets just say you stole that something's meal. Natural selection > YOU BEING A MINDLESS KILLER.

My step-dad has a wood shop in the back yard and skinks are everywhere, they're huge too.

Let it go is the best advice. They eat insects, spiders, and sowbugs. They like to live in and under rotton logs.
