I came here hoping you could tell me what kind of beetle is described here, if it really exists:

Also Real Life: This troper once saw a picture of a beetle with a mushroom growing out of its back. Apparently the mushroom was mind-controlling the beetle to climb to the top of a blade of grass or something, at which point the mushroom would release its spores and kill the beetle.
