The next day I was walking my dog again and noticed strange noises from a distance. They became louder and I saw the cat emerge from behind a tree, with a rabbit in his mouth. He was 100M away from me, but casually watched as I tied up my dog and walked towards him to rescue the creature, but he ran off when I got too close. The area is full of dogs and he has managed to survive the last two years. I saw him caught in a trap once, and as the council worker tried to put him into another cage, he managed to get free, use the man's face/head as a springboard and run off. He can be affectionate if he wants to, though and when he was a stray kitten, he used to break in and steal food from my cat's outdoor kennel.
