Om nom nom. What has your cat brought you for dinner lately?

Snakes. Lots of snakes.

He's gotten better at actually killing them instead of just bringing them to me, too, which is nice.

I ain't getting shit. My cats are strictly indoors. I'd like to let them out in the backyard but I'd need to buy some wire mesh and seal off all the holes/cracks they can get through in the fence.

My cat hasn't brought anything for me, though he did recently bring in a dead gopher, fully in-tact, as a gift for our other cat.
The other cat hisses at him and shit, and all he does is try to play and follow him everywhere. So, I guess he left the gopher in front of his food bowl as some kind of olive branch of peace.
faggot cats!

my dachshund brought my parents back a dead baby possum once.

Mom freaked out. Dad sat there and watched the little thing on the ground for an hour, at which point it got up, shook itself off, and trotted away.

Live mice and frogs. My cats are awesome.

Once, they caught a bird, pulled out it's eyes and dropped them in a guest's shoes. lulz were had by all but the guest.

The only time my cat brought something into the house it was a live bird. I managed to hear it chirping and got it away from him. It was alive but too scared to move so we left it on the patio table with some water and after a while it managed to fly away.

My cat brought me a mouse, but when I took it, she swatted it from my hand and it ran off into the woodpileshiz next to our fireplace.

It's been awhile, but at the time this picture was taken, my cat was mostly toothless. She's 18, an outdoor cat, and still managed to rip the shit out of a bird.

I'm so proud of her. ;_;

my old cat brought moles, doves, and the occasional chipmunk.

my new cat, however, fails at hunting completely. she made a run at the birds in the birdbath, they flew off, she slipped in the water and ate shit, ran back to the house meowing in distress to be let in. quite humorous.

Discovery did a show once I think on domestic cats hunting, and I remember the disclaimer, saying that "Yeah, this isn't for kids." They talked about how even older cats can still kick ass.

Cats will fucking ANYTHING!

Indoor cat only, although once I had a cat I liked to call the Great Black Hunter. She was an indoor/outdoor cat who had plenty of food, but loved to hunt, and ate everything she hunted.

I saw her bat a fly against the window screen once. And then she proceeded to chew on it.

One time outside, I saw her chewing on a very large cicada.

One time she woke me up by skittering around on the floor of my room batting something back and forth between her paws. I got up and saw that it was a mouse's tail. Most likely, she devoured the rest of it.

And one time, late at night, we let her in the house, and her mouth was hanging open. I was very concerned because it looked like her jaw was broken. When I bent down to touch her jaw, out jumped a field mouse. She immediately jumped after it. We managed to separate her and the mouse, and shooed the mouse out the door where it ran across the street. We weren't able to hold her back though, and she bolted out the door and bounded after it.

My cats have brought me a couple live snakes, a fish they must have swiped from someone's kitchen, plenty of dead rats, sometimes half eaten. Once we returned from vacation to find a decomposed rat they had left on the stair landing, there's still a stain in the shape of a dead rat there to this day, this being linoleum so we can't just paint it over. They've also brought back field mice, shrews, cicadas, pigeons, other birds, squirrels, lizards which they also like to leave half eaten, and spiders.

They love spiders, we get huge 2 inch long wolf spider fuckers, the cat likes to dismember them and eat the body, but leave their little severed legs all strewn about.
