My cat keeps on pooping outside the litter box. When it was a kitten it used the box all the time. When she was a year old, however, we got a new kitten and she started pooping outside the box a year after that. Is she doing this because she wants attention and what should I do to stop this behavior?

Oh, and why does she lick the smaller cat whenever I put it near her then growl at her?

>>growl at her
you mean purring?

no she growls at her. First she starts licking. Then she stops, stares, and starts growling. After that she gets all pouty and exhales through her nose

If you have two cats now, it might be that the litterbox is getting dirty much quicker. Try cleaning it more often, it may be why she's hesitant to use it.

some cats are territorial w/ litter boxes. try getting a second box. or try cleaning the one box more often.
