In a personal opinion?

I'd have to say it would really depend on the situation They seem about equal to me. Bats have birds beat on night flying, but birds have bats beat when it comes to proper landing gear; and the wide range of beat styles allow fo a multiple diet on a single species. Such as eating nuts and insects.

All in all, a bird would be the obvious choice. But like I said, it depends on the situation, and what a persons preference is, I guess.

My opinion? Bats.

Some of them can use sonar and get out the way.
Now consider how many times birds smash into windows.

So sonar prevents bats from bumping into walls and windows? I've always wondered how bats can fly so erratically in such a huge group without bumping into each other.

Yeah, it also helps them to find insects and avoid objects.

You'd think then that we'd all be screaming at each other, mouths agape constantly. And with big ears.

Bats are so cute~

I won't sit here and argue the minute details. I'll just say that bats ain't got shit on harpy eagles.

Great Horned Owl, Red-tailed Hawk, Peregrine Falcon.

Well we already scream at each other, so we don't have far to go.

>Bats have birds beat on night flying

Not completely true. All migrating birds have internal compasses which allow them to know there they're going even at night. This is why you'll hear flocks of geese at 9 PM.

You have a point there, I completely forgot about that fact.
