Actually, there have been few shark attacks. Sharks may bite someone, but they do not attack them. An attack would be when a shark is after you to eat you. In which case you would be eaten. Instead, most) but most shark "attacks" are when a shark does one of a multitude of things. 1. Is simply bitting you out of curiousity 2. Is hungry and has mistaken (or believes) a foot or hand of a person for(is) a fish, in which case it is most likely a surfer's. 3. Other, maybe it did want to eat you but decided you tasted bad, so only nibbled and didnt attack This covers 80% of shark "attacks". Such as attacks on surfers, divers, etc. (Not an actual statistical figure).
