Needless to say, the falcon's a bit of a jerkass. Although it must hurt walking around without anything protecting your spinal column. I mean, that's basically what just happened, right? The seagull's walking around with an exposed spine? Because, hell, I get hurt from mere tooth decay being contacted by slightly below room temperature WIND.
What the fuck.

holy shit, thats probably the most awesome pic ive seen on /an/ ever...
Pic is older and on some meme/macro site. It seems a little shocking, but crap like this happens. Like buffalo walking away from lions with a huge chunk of their back missing with bones showing, etc.
Birds dont have cerebral cortex and therefore they can't feel any pain.
>>215250It's true.
Haha, that falcon's badass.
If you look at the picture closely, you'll notice two falcons. One caught the seagull, and the other one chased it away before it could finish the kill.

>>215249Pics or it didn't happen
>>215249Right, but I was under the impression that critical sections of your anatomy (windpipe etc.) were contained in the neck as well. How does it breathe?
>>215249/r/ pics for the love of raptor jesus i need to see that.
this looks shooped.
>>215252really?
>>215621No, they DO have the cortex, it's just smaller and less folded than ours. That they can't feel pain is a retarded theory, if they didn't feel pain they wouldn't react to dangerous outside stimuli.
It did die a little while later.
