Most of the common household spiders aren't going to kill you if they bite you. Though it would be extremely rare that one even did bite you unprovoked. Spiders are one of the better critters to have around in the house. Just remember that each spider has to eat a lot bugs to survive. There's nothing you can do to get rid of them directly, however you can get rid of them indirectly. Just make sure you don't have old bits of food around, like chips and snacks under your bed our sofa and get plastic plants instead of the real stuff. Plants and food will draw in insects, and insects draw in spiders. One thing that will help with keeping the spiders out of view is increasing/decreasing the humidity in the air in your house. Depending on where in the world you live and what spiders you have. Most spiders prefer a low humidity level, but will stay away if it drops too low or too high. Just test it out for yourself and find a level that you don't mind and keeps the spiders away.
