Not quite as catchy, and not more accurate either, since birds are just a small group of maniraptorans inside the whole of dinosauria. We should drop the "sauria" though, since none of them were lizards.
>>148985 Actually it's pretty clear that the evolution of feathers began before maniraptorans evolved, in basal coelurosaurs. From there protofeathers were inherited to compsognathids, ornithomimids, maniraptorids and tyrannosaurids. Aerodynamic flight feathers probably didn't appear until the first true maniraptorans, though.
