What would it be like having a pet fox?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
>>327345
I think foxes are untamable. They like it in the wild. If you find a dead vixen somewhere then I guess it would be best for the kits if you took care of them long enough until they could hunt. I guess they would be like a timid fox- I've heard stories of rescued kits that have been as loyal to families as dogs.

I've done a lot of research on this because I want one for my own.
Basically if you want one you will probably be best off with a Fennec, they are sold by specialists. And they are able to be kept. Personally I dont like the look of fennecs so I don't want one.
The reasons why you can't buy most foxes as pets:
-they can't be kept in the house, They go wild and destroy everything (watch the movie Le Renard et L'enfant for an example of this, a beautifull movie about a girl and a fox)
-they smell terrible, really they smell horrible when kept inside. And removing the organ that makes the smell doesn't really help much.
-Even if you buy a legal pet fox you'll need to follow A LOT of rules, you'll have to see specialists for injections, you'll have to live near a specialist (and they are rare) ect.
>> Anonymous
>>327452
They're supposed to smell like skunks. I don't mind that smell too much..

>>327452

If you're a furry, keep in mind raping it will probably end up in you dying.

Why do all fox threads involve unnecessary discussion about furries?
>> Anonymous
     File :-(, x)
>>327647
Because most of the people who love foxes are furry. OP here and I'm a furry
The correct question is why do all of these fox threads involve the unnecessary discussion of yiff?
>> Anonymous
>>327659

Because hatefags are so obsessed with hating furries that they rage at frank discussions of animals.

All of the above.

Sure, having a fox for a pet sounds cute and fun, but it's just not practical. Get a Corgi instead. They're almost a cute.

The Russians have domesticated the Silver Fox, look it up. Turns out once they're domesticated, they're pretty much dogs. I'd love to have one.

A sliver fox is a fox who's fur is completely black, minus the white tip of the tail. Those aren't silver foxes.

I always dreamt of having a big house with a biiiig garden all around it, maybe even a forest. And then have a fox as a pet. But I guess it won't really be a pet then as it would most likely make a home of it's own somewhere in the garden and only come for dinner :(
>> Anonymous
faggots. stop simpering about owning a fox. i'm a fox and i don't want to live with you eating pizza and cuddling when ur ronery (i.e all the time)

i like to prowl the forests and eat mice and bugs SO KNOCK IT OFF.

How big can foxes get?

Cause theres this old XBOX HUEG grey fox that lives in my neighborhood. I srsly think it has rabies/mange cause it hisses at everything that moves. Maybe it's just getting old.

Also, I never knew what a fox sounded like until it hissed at me. Holy shit, that was scary.

People should breed a domesticated form of the fox. Or something as cute as a fox to keep as a pet.

I wouldn't keep a fox, but a fennec is cute. If I had the money though, I wouldn't get one. They're too much work and hyperactive.
