And just as the crap of dogs and cats can be managed (by taking them outside, and a litterbox, respectively), one can just set rags or something underneath the spots the parrot(s) mostly hang out on top of. It's less of a health hazard than the litterbox, too, or traffic. These are creatures of routine, because otherwise there's no way they could maintain that set of feathers.
But you know, if not yet knowing how to manage a pet animal's excrement is going to turn you off, then maybe it's for the best for everyone involved. (Hey, I think changing the water in a fishtank counts as crap management too. Whoa, dude.)
