HEY /an/ Question... Anonymous
My dad, (I've no idea how he does it)broght home another cat, Kitten I should say, so now we have 2. How long till the 2 year old accepts this new one? Also, this kitten shakes the top half of her tail like a rattle snake ~ WTF?? I've had many cats and never noticed this with other cats here or else were.

Ideas? In B4 take the kitten to the vet, shes going monday.

Eventually they should get used to each other.
I got a kitten about two months ago and my two other cats still hate and avoid her. Which I'm fine with that, at least they aren't killing each other.

Cool, but what about the rattlesnakes tail thingy she does? Normal?

I'm sure it's normal. Chill the fuck out. If the cat stops eating or starts bleeding out of its eyes THEN worry.

Cats use their tails to communicate, sorta like dogs. Usually tail trashing or flicking means that they are displeased, about to claw the shit out of your hand, etc. Its possible that you might be doing something to annoy her, or that she's just being a kitten.

Has be to that. I've never ever seen a moar affectionate cat / kitten, so I can't be annoying her...

Well, thanx anyway /an/

It took my cats about a week or two to get used to the kitten I brought in recently.

It can take a long time and supervision. Ands a squirt bottle to say "no" with.

The tail thing is a "mommy" thing. Kittens will point their tails straight up and vibrate the tip when they see mom and want food or snuggles.

One of my cats does that tail rattling thing.. I think that's just a unique trait. She usually does it when she's begging for food or being pet.
