Hmm, your baby has no arms, it should probably die.

provided a dog can still act happy, wag its tail and be excitable the majority of the time- it has every right to live and no reason not to. The dog does not look at other dogs and go "oh gee, how I wish I had legs...!" She looks perfectly happy and well-raised to me.

i like how some people with ugly/deformed children/pets like to show them off as if to say "look at me, i'm raising an invalid"

No way, he'll be a perfect test subject for developing prosthetic cybernetic arms.

I would not want a baby with no arms.

explain why I feel sorry for Chase but I don't feel sorry for the bipedal Mr Burns dog

because Chase is ungodly and has no eyelids.
In retrospect, there is nothing wrong with keeping Chase alive and well. Happy kitty is happy, gets along fine with life, ect.
Its that her owner /devotes a blog/ to parading around pictures and videos of his/her mutilated cat. Puts it on Christmas cards.
I hate when people pull the "look, look! we're so kindhearted, we treat this horribly deformed thing as if it were normal!" When it's the opposite. If the cat were normal they wouldn't but plastering its normal face everywhere.

As gruesome as it is, I can understand the animal's use as a companion/therapy animal. Both of them, come to think of it, the dog and the cat. The Chase blog, however, is handled badly.

The cutesy first person style rather detracts from what could otherwise be a fascinating and useful account of living and careing for an animal with special needs that is in turn a therapy animal. The way it is it sounds way too much like those women (and occasionally men) of a certian age that carry their Maltese Terriers into cafes and say to them, "Does Booful want a sweetie? Yes he does! Yes he does, I wuv my booful doggie!" And any moment now, you know that they're going to take the dog's paw and make him 'wave' at you...

I hate it when people name their deformed pets/children "hope", "grace", "faith" or anything similar. Fuck.
