Forgive the extremely poor quality of the screenshot, but I"m wondering if any of you can help me identify the spider shown here? I just took the pic a minute ago with a flashlight shining near it. I mean, it is night out.. This is the best I could get.The spider is a little bit bigger than a nickel. It's tan, has lots of bristles on it's legs and body, and has 4 dark spots on it's abdomen. The most distinguished feature is a pair of ridges on the upper part of it's abdomen.I know it's probably just a common garden spider or something, but it's made it's next web along the gutter and garage door of my garage.
> know it's probably just a common garden spider or somethingYeah, it is. It's a garden Orb Weaver - Araneus diadematus
I love the guys. If you touch them on their web they either fall off or go OMG RIDE EM COWBOY and start spinning in one place
its a female orb spider
