i got a ferret from a friend a couple months ago. she was great at first, but for the last week or so she's been bitchy. she started by just biting my fingers, but today and a couple days ago she's drawn blood while biting. how would you recommend disciplining her? i tried a few things i found on google (yelling no, holding her by the back of the neck, holding the back of her neck & keeping her belly up), but she hasn't gotten any better.

in return, mudkip

some days she's out a lot, other days she's mostly in the cage. the house she came from had 4 other ferrets, which i think is part of the problem. i'd prefer to avoid the expense of another ferret, but if i DO get another one, i don't want her to be too aggressive toward the new one.

she is just lonely and is doing it out of attention let her sleep with you, or cuddle and pick her up and hold her when she is sleeping. you haven't formed a bond with her yet so she is going to be stand offish till you guys do. and maybe getting another ferret will help. I have two and it made my first one alot more active and happy.

i was cuddling with her, but now if i hold her for more than a few seconds, she'll latch right on
