I have these kittens and I cant bottle feed them. How do I do it?

If I just shove it in their mouths and swqeaze the bottle to get some out they just pull away and run. I am afraid if this continues they will aspirate it (the milk will go into its lungs) I am very careful as to make sure that isnt happening but they arent getting enough milk from their mama, as they keep crying even though its warm and their mama doesnt come by as often as she should to feed them.

What kind of milk are you using?

I'm using kitten formula. I fill it to half and float it in a pot of water and put that on the stove till it gets warm.

Its the kind they sell at walmart with the picture of the baby kitten. I plan on going to petsmart and gettng some other stuff in a bit.

Be sure to get the liquid stuff instead of the powdery stuff. It takes forever to get the powdery stuff to not clump, and sometimes the liquid stuff doesn't have to be diluted, so you know you have the right concentration.

Also, are you using the right sort of bottle? We use a little dropper for our kittens. Never had any luck with the little kitten bottles.

Oh, and how old are they?

You said they were running away, so they might be old enough to drink it from a saucer. Just splash your fingers in it and put them near it to get their attention.

Try putting out some solid food for them and see if they eat it. When I fostered some kittens, they started eating solid food at around 4-5 weeks old.
