Doesn't this stir some sort of curiosity in you?
according to>>89029, USA is the only place in which this happens. CANADA WHAT??

I had this teacher in college mr. bostick who said "Canadians are just leftover Americans!"

I can't say I agreed, but the whole class LOL'd

Ok, so according to Wikipedia, Tornadoes happen in many countries, but are most commonly seen in the US, Canada, and New Zealand.

Maybe if you spent more time learning basic english and less time lying awake at night pondering your ignorance of the world outside of our borders, life would be better for everyone.

We never "hear" of "tornadoes" ... for starters. Really, the whole statement is a subintelligent mess.

Ok, yes, OP's grammar was off, but why does that mean you can denigrate their honest curiosity about a natural phenomenon?

Have fun correcting all the poor grammar on 4chan.

Well it seems they've been spotted in every continent except antartica, so no they don't just happen in the USA.
I'm no expert on the subject, but I'm going to guess why you hear about them happening in the US versus anywhere else is because they happen there the most. There's even a part of the US called "Tornado Alley".

What we do hear alot of are Hurricanes or typhoons, which are pretty much huge oversized ocean tornados. They're the only natural disasters to get their own name!

I thought they just had one in London last year.

Except that a hurricane/typhoon is a completely different weather system and bears no resemblance to a tornado other than the fact that it spins. They do generate tornadoes, though.
Here's a map for those of you too lazy to look it up on Wikipedia

They don't have trailer parks, duh. So they don't have tornadoes!

I know someone who's lived in Wisconsin his entire life and NEVER saw a tornado until he was vacationing in South Africa.

The central US just happens to have ideal conditions for tornado forming, moreso than anywhere else in the world. It's not that they don't happen elsewhere, it's just the frequency and strength of the ones in the central US that make it so dangerous.

Up here in southern Ontario, we get about 10 a year, as opposed to "Tornado Alley" region which can see 10 a day if conditions are right.

also, tornadoes scare the shit outta me.

woohoo for flat Minnesotan land!

America has too many Wind Mages. When a spell goes wrong, bad things happen.

"This aerial photograph and the ones that follow show the devastation that occurred when a large tornado struck Greensburg, Kentucky Friday night."

According to CNN, the half mile wide twister moving at 20 mph destroyed 95% of the town
