Well, I see there's another thread like this, but I'd just like to make one as well. My friend Phoenix here, 20 years old (two months away from drinking age!) just passed on this afternoon.

She's been with me my whole life and I just wanted to post a little memorial. Also I want to show you guys some pictures, she's really a beautiful cat.

26! That's amazing, I'm glad you could spend that much time with her =). What breed was she?

What a beautiful Abbysinian kitty! ^_^ I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

Russian Blue, but unusual for her breed, she was a dwarf. She never weighed more than about 4 1/2 lbs

That's to bad about your cat dying. :( I won't know what to do when mine does pass on. Sadly my boyfriends had 1 cat die and another one is dying. :\

Best wishes to you. I know there's a cat heaven, along with our own.

I am sorry for your loss
people who says cats aren't social are sooo wrong, it always makes me sad when I hear of someone who loses their cat.
And yes, even though I'm an atheist, I believe in a cat-heaven, with lots of scratching posts, mice and catnip.

Pic is one of our cats, 3 years young (have we decided), lying in the grass enjoying the sun.

Awe. My cat passed away recently too. He was born two months before me. Here's to awesome pets!

Wow...20...26...It's always harder I think when you've had them so long. Mine died only 3 months after my friend found her and though hard, I can't help but think it'd have been harder given more time to really know her.

My deepest sympathies to you and all others who have lost their feline darlings.

This thread makes me cry. :( Condolences to pretty mcuh everyone in this thread. Our family has had three cats; one was very sick and was put to sleep when I was six or seven (he was 13 or 14 at that point). The other two are still around. I was almost indifferent to the first cat's death because I didn't really understand it, but I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose one of the cats I have now.

I'm sorry to hear about all the kitties who have passed on to kitty heaven. It's very sad for us, but I'm sure they are very happy up there...what with all the catnip, mice, plastic milk rings, and all the boxes and bags they could ever want. I've had a few kitties pass away, and I don't know what I'll do when my 3 current kitties pass on.
*hugs to everyone*

Picture is of my kitty Shadow, relaxing on the grass

Meet Ms.Foo (or Princess Foo as my roommate calls her). She's about 5 or 6lbs, and is the most affectionate cat I know. She loves everyone. She's the 3rd of my three kitties

I have five cats... we used to have just two, but when the first one passed away, my whole family went into a depression. :( Azzy was 21 when she died...She'd been with us since before I was born! I don't have any pictures of her with me at the moment, but she was so skinny near the end... and since then we've been picking up cats left and right. ^__^

I'm very sorry your kitty died.. It hurts so much, and I think all of us here can either imagine or have been through it and know...

I'm sorry about your poor kitty passing on... She's beautiful.
As everyone else is sharing... Here's my two kitties...

Miyu is the little one (little... she's a little fattie now)

Squeekers is the big one. He's fucking hueg.
