Cat food recall, many brands Anonymouse
Was just reading an article about a major food recall affecting a lot of brands. Apparently some ingredient is causing renal failure in some animals.

The full list of recalled products can be found here:

The story can be read here:

Yeah it didn't really get a lot of coverage. I guess the latest developments in the ANS ordeal were more important.

Most of it's store brands. Other than Iam's, afaik all of them are the budget brands.

Thank god my cats get Meow Mix (dry) and Nine Lives (wet), mixed for great justice. :D

Budget brands? Some of the really good stuff is on that list too, like Eukanuba and Science Diet.

oooh thank you 4chan. My cat didn't have those brands [thank God] but I never would have known about it, because I just moved back to the states after 3 years and we don't have a TV yet.

I work for a large petstore corporation. This recall is HUGE, and involves many high-quality brands as well as store brands and a few icky ones. It's been pretty much hell in petstores since this came out.

How ironic that we're telling people to buy Friskies if their cats won't eat dry versions of whatever premium food they're feeding.....
