What kind of fish eat mosquito larvae, and can be purchased cheaply?

Pic unfortunately unrelated.

goldfish. Get a smaller variety that won't grow big like sword-tail.

If it is for an outdoor water feature, keeping it larvae free, then yes goldfish are great for it. They are a nice little "neglectable fish", survivng better then other fish in aquariums of negligent owners.

They work especially well in fairly dirty outdoor ponds. Before I moved I had a pond in the backyard with goldfish in it for 5 years, and we brought them in every winter to an indoor aquarium.

(FYI, I wasn't a negligent owner... just saying they do well for negligent owners. A low maintenance fish)
