is it okay for dogs to eat cheese?
>> Anonymous
..I'm serious. I don't know much about what dogs can and cannot eat (I know pork, and chocolate..) and I'm not sure where else to turn to for answers..

I've given my dog cheese a few times, but I'd like to know if it's bad for him or not.

protip: dogs eat dog food. Humans eat human food.

I never really saw how 'human' food could be all that dangerous for dogs (besides the whole chocolate thing slowing their blood-flow or whatever, which can't be all that life-threatening, because my dog scarfed down my entire advent calendar one year, and she isn't dead, but I was very sad). They aren't completely different life-forms, if we eat it and don't die, it should be fine for a dog, maybe unhealthy, that's what I've always figured.

funfact: chocolate is no more poisonous to dogs than it is to humans, it depends on the amount consumed relative to bodyweight.

I hear bread is bad for dogs because of some funky digestive thing, but not cheese.

Was cheese made to suit a dog's digestive system?
Does a bear shit in the woods?
