i want to own peafowl. im thinking two. my questions are, are they hard to raise, and how do i go about doing this?

In ther poultry section of your local paper there will be people selling them..might take a week or two for one to pop up, but they will be there. Or google a hatchery in your area. Or get them online but pay shipping/deal with possible legalities.

They're loud as fuck, and you'll need a lot of roaming room for them.

One time I came home from school and there was a peacock on the roof of our house (this is in the midwest U.S.A. mind you) weirdest damn thing.

Turned out to be from a neighbor's place 2 miles away. He really liked our satellite dish.

Everything and their mother will eat them. If there are coyotes, wild dogs, neighbor dogs, bobcats, etc, keeping them around may be difficult. They seem to be relatively more stupid than chickens, but thankfully still not as dumb as guineas.

And yes, they will be climbing on your porch and car, making loud noises constantly, and chasing your cats and/or children.
