sup, /an/?

This fucking awesome lizard is my Spyro, a male bearded dragon.

He doesnt do the standard bearded dragon waving and headbobbing thing at all, and still eats mostly mealworms.

He's either too fucking lazy to go after crickets, or doesnt like them anymore (used to eat loads of them) and we havent been able to get him to eat any vegetables.

But he's still awesome :D

I have a 1 year old male beardie that was lazy as well, no interest in food, etc

Then we bought a female. He beards, turns black, and headbobs all day now, and she will wave back constantly. They can't get to eachother, but they can see each other. Also, he's also eating more than he ever has before.

Why does everybody have bearded dragons, and other super mass produced lizards? There are plenty of more interesting lizards out there, and it's not that difficult to get them. I mean beardies aren't that bad, but they aren't so much better than other lizards. Species like alligator lizards for example deserve way more attention than they get.

You basically answered your own question - out of all of the more charismatic reptiles that can be held, bearded dragons are very easy to find. They're also relatively easy to keep.

Well there are plenty of "charismatic" holdable reptiles out there that are only slightly more difficult to get.

I also have a whip tail.

Aren't whiptails super spastic, nose rub prone, pain in the necks?

My bearded dragon laid fifteen unfertilized eggs yesterday. Again. Even though they won't hatch I'm proud of my healthy beardy.

Because they make awesome pets. Beardies interact with people, are curious, are docile and sturdy and don't mind being handled, they're also funny and make waving motions as well as head bobbing. I've never seen another reptile so mammal-like. I'd love to have more reptiles as pets but many of them have to be the "seen not touched" type of pet, they either flee or can't be handled as well.

Also, despite perhaps being the most popular pet lizard, bearded dragons are still unusual pets to have. Almost everyone who sees my beardy is surprised that I own such an unusual big spiky lizard.

Are they legal in CA? Seems like all the cool pets are illegal over here.

I had a beardie that did that too-3 clutches I think. Did it ever give you any problems laying those?

Head bobbing is a display of dominance, arm waving suggests submissiveness. You people seem to believe its just your adorable pet trying to amuse its owner or something.

What do you think a dog rolling over on its back, or a cat rubbing itself up against you shows? My gawd, you're a retard.

Except I'm not one of those people posting things about dogs rolling over or cats rubbing against me. You're just pulling random crap out of your ass, leave.
