Hey /an/, how do you deal with giving away your pet's kittens/puppies?

My cat had kittens, and they're ready to be given away, and I found good homes for them, but I find myself really wanting to keep two of them. So I gave two to homes, and I feel bad about keeping the remaining two. I feel bad about separating them, but I don't know whether it's worse to keep these two, or give them away as well. Will my cat even care her kittens are gone? Because I'm feeling depressed as hell about it. I got really attatched.

Giving them away is the hardest part. So fuzzy...

But you have to realize that eventually, they'll grow into cats. Big cats, who eat a lot, and shit a lot, and beat the crap out of each other. They're not always gonna be that cute, so get em out while you can.

Just keep them. When my cat had 9 kittens, my family kept three of them (one for each kid).
the kittens are three years old now, and the mom cat growls and swats at them if they get near her. But she does that to all cats. Her kittens are very nice and sociable though.
Your cat may or may not care if the kittens are gone. She may be pissed that they are still around after weening. But if you want them, keep them and make sure they are well taken care of.
