My baby... Anonymous
Greeting /an/, I bring sorrowful news this holiday season, my 18 year-old Calico, April has taken a sad plunge, it started on the 21 when she started to meow everywhere and drink lots of water, then two days ago on the 24th, her rear legs gave out and she lost her sense of balance, now finally today she's lost all leg functions, refuses to eat or drink and doesn't even meow...

Anwser me truthfully /an/, is my cat dieing?

(pic not really related. it's the same breed, I just don't have a picture of my cat on my comp.)

Same thing happened to my dog a month or so ago. Its literally dieing. Organs are beginning to stop functioning, the body is wasting away. We kept our dog home for a while- let him lay down with the whole family and be loved. After a few hours we took him in to get the shot, and all.
Yeah, if it doesn't die in your house soon- take it to a vet. But, try to make it as low stress as possible. We made a portable, comfy bed for our dog.

My fiancee who works at a Vet hospital says the cat may be suffering from diabetes... if it had been treated sooner you may have been able to save her, which means you'll probably have to put her down. Although it could also be acute renal failure. Due to the age of your cat, however, my fiancee believes that your cat won't recover regardless. Best give her lots of love before you have to take her in to have her put down. I'm sorry. :(

I'm sad for her, but she's lived 18 years, which is a pretty long time for a cat. We'll miss her, but everything has a time. ~_~

Good odds that we won't get another pet though. My parents and I work alot of the day so we wouldn't beable to look after a young animal.

195089 here,
You could always adopt an older cat who's owners can't keep them for whatever reason. We just took in a 12 year old long hair and he's the sweetest thing. You touch him and he immediately starts to purr. He's also the only cat we have that curls up next to us on our bed while we sleep. He's probably only got 3-4 years left but he probably would have been put down if we hadn't taken him in. So there are other options besides getting another kitten.

That's a nice idea, but my parents don't want to go through with another pet death. (another cat and a dog before this one.)

I'm sorry about your cat but instead of taking her to the vet, just make love to her, get some lube and put some in her little wrinkled anus and fuck her good, fuck her to death so she'll remember that you loved her so much, just fuck the living shit out of here, I recommend playing Elton John-Bitch is back and just give that little slut the best sex of her cat life.
