Just squashed a spider that has a web similar to the one in the picture. Are all funnel spiders deadly, or does that just apply to the Austrailian beasties?

Wolf spiders are funnel makers. They aren't poisonous though.

It was the size of a marble, and a tan color. Was it a wolf spider?

They can be tan, brown, grey, or black, but honestly you'd have to show us a photo to try to ID it.

If it's head had stripes like this, that's what it was.

If it had a violin on its head like THIS.. you need an exterminator, because that's a brown recluse which is poisonous. I don't know if they are funnel makers though.

you don't need an exterminator for a brown recluse. the ones in australia are one of few deadly spiders. and even then more people have died of shitting themselves(dysentery) in the last 50 years than of funnel web bites

As internet-baddass as this is going to sound, recluse bites aren't terrible if they are treated within a few hours. I have shit for an immune system, my nervous system is extremely sensitive, and I survived with a scar about the size of a pencil eraser. The treatment hurt worse than the bite.

As long as you aren't a dumbass, recluse bites aren't worth worrying about. I'm not saying that you should let them have babies in your babies crib (in fact, plz don't), but a handful in your yard aren't a big deal.
