Easier said than done. Mantis shrimps don't just jump on everyone. They wait for Mr. (or Ms.) Right.

SRSLY, just dropping any two mantises into a tank together is far more likely to result in a fight. They value their privacy, you see.

Oh, yeah, continuation from my previous post.

The "they like their privacy" should also be read as meaning, "they like a place to hide" also from you.

A burrow or cave of sorts to retreat to. If they don't have any such thing, you'll stress the life out of them.

in your reef tank? must have come in with your live rock. best bet is to go to a reef store of online and buy a mantis trap, they go in after bait and cant get back out. or you can get an olive jar or other tall skinny jar, lean it up against a rock bait it, and wait for them to go in, they can swim though so that doesnt work to well unless you catch him in it. the other option is to tear through all your live rock untill you find the bastard, squirting a random selection of your chemicals that raise your ph/CA/Alk into holes until you find him, that sucks though.
Or you can leave him, though that clicking noise they make every minute will drive you crazy and your snails/crabs/shrimp/fish will start to dissapear, probably in that order, unless you have a spearer, but smasher is more likely.
