sup, /an/?

I found this in my yard. Doesn't really do much though. Retreats to a certain plant, or sits out in the yard and nibble on grass.

Seems to me like a house pet that got away.

Yeah, I've been wanting him to come up. Runs away all the time.

He's only been around for 2 days or so.

I've heard of a legendary place called the University of Victoria that has rabbits everywhere. Sadly it probably doesn't exist.

BUNNEH!

Yes that's a runaway pet. It's a Dutch rabbit, a domestic breed. My best bet is to supply it with fresh vegetables out on the yard. It's not coming up to you because it's been out for days, most likely. I've noticed that the longer rabbits are left outside alone (like when I let mine run free in the yard) the more they are inclined to resist human attention.

omfg tuxedo rabbit lure him indoors with wine and light airy music

You seriously need to catch that fucker. Unless you're in Europe somewhere that is an invasive species and a serious pest.

All domestic breeds are descended from the European rabbit, Oryctolagus cuniculus.

I dunno how well this would work with a semi-wild rabbit but uh

I had a rabbit who you could almost always get to follow you if you took a few steps away from him, then paused and looked over your shoulder at him.. a few steps more, pause, look over your shoulder, repeat. I read about it somewhere and it worked for me so uh, yeah. Apparently, that's rabbit talk for hey, follow me!

Maybe after a few days of getting used to your presence in the yard, the rabbit would be inclined to follow. They're social beasts, after all. Mebbe you could offer some greens too, parsley and cilantro bunches are super cheap and rabbits love them.

Just leave a trail of carrot slices in the yard, leading to your house.

Put up a sign that says "Albuquerque" in your front yard, pointing away from your house. The rabbit will instictively take a wrong turn and wind up in your kitchen.

I would be offended, since I live in Albuquerque, excpet I both recognize it's a Wierd Al song, and had realized ages ago that Albuquerque really IS a wrong turn...

please save it and bring it to a rescue like the house rabbit society, domestic rabbits rarely survive in the wild

You will now hear about a place called my house which is within earshot of the Macquarie University football/other generic sport field.

I can see that crane and Macquarie Centre and OH LOOK SOME GUY IS WAVING TO ME.
