Hey, I was looking for this video.

After I saw it for the first time, I tried giving my cats good, firm pats on the backs and sides. Not hard, mind you. Just like this guy does, except with my hands. Three of them were pretty apathetic towards it, but my sister's cat is a fucking freak for it. She hears or sees me from across the house and comes running so she can get beat on. Everyone views it with a kind of morbid fascination. I love it.

Everyone seems to be so taken aback by this, but I don't find it weird at all. I don't have much experience with cats, but every dog I know loves being pet like that (but with hands, rather than those paddle things). Heck, even some common human massages are similar, like that choppy thing people do on people's backs.
He's really not hitting as hard as it looks. I suppose the paddles are a bit odd, though.

I heard for female cats it's rather similar to sexual stimulation.

>>234415Ditto. In my experiences, female cats like this much more than males.

I tried this with my Dad's Calico who's in heat and she loves it. Dad's friend kept calling me a perv though, saying I was somehow molesting the kitty by spanking it. Course, the calico is a freaky cat, anyhow. Only times she wants to be petted, is when she's in heat, which she'll jumps in your lap, meow-demanding attention, rolling around and trying to act all cute and cuddly. Rest of the time when she's not in heat, she's nasty. Scratches and bites, drawing blood, pretty much every time. If you do succeed in petting her, without her attacking you initially, she'll start purring and enjoying it for like 4 seconds, then turn and go completely nuts, trying to remove the offending appendage that had been touching her.

I have a 20 pound chunk of a cat that likes his rear end to be patted in a "good boy!" sort of way. He'll stick his butt in the air and purr.
