I lived on a small Cretan island in Greece (Gouves, near Iraklion) for over a year. The attitude towards cats there was something I couldn't really get over. Dogs are treated with a degree of respect, but cats were treated as if they were rats. I saw (often) men simply kick cats down streets. When there was a big rain one day during the end of summer, a rushing flood of muddy water came down through the town and rushed out towards the sea. All the men in the town were gathering up the stray cats and throwing them into the rush of water, so that at one point - I'm not kidding - the water was practically choked with dead or drowning cats. I also saw a cat who had been hacked by a cleaver and was walking around with its kittens with its leg barely there.

Greeks are subhuman. They pretty much inherited the Roman empire and fucked that up.

In Western Europe and North America such acts of savagery are relatively rare, but visitors to Greece have witnessed and recorded similar acts of mutilation and neglect towards dogs, cats and other animals on an extensively large scale in all parts of Greece. In Greece dogs have been found with their leg tendons severed, the tongue cut out, hanged, dragged on ropes behind vehicles, thrown into lime, shot, chained up in the sun with no food or water, and tied to the railroad track which resulted in severed paws; these are only a few examples.

Do you think the average person living in America in 2150 will be like the average person living in America in 1850?

No.

Demographics change. I would bet that modern greeks and italians have little in common with ancient greeks and romans.

Because someone's 200-year-old ancestors determines how much of a human they are. Yeah.

So are you 200 or 300 kilos overweight?

Greece and Rome are two completely different animals. Romans were more interested in secular culture and commerce. Greeks were too busy gazing at their navels and rogering young boys for ???????.

That's because America's raison d'etre was to be the ultimate mongrel state, formed by immigration from elsewhere. Such massive immigration has not happened elsewhere.

the greeks are just jealous of animals naturally occuring monobrow, greeks work damn hard to cultivate their monobrows and these cute fuzzy critters just do it naturally. Clearly they must die

i think that is rather common in whole south europe. in spain they hang dogs on trees to get rid of them, in romania and bulgaria they beat stray cats dead for fun or bury them alive. that's just gay, but probably related to poverty, general violence and missing animal cruelty laws.

i have a ex-stray cat from south spain (pic related), got her from an animal rescue organisation. i have no idea what she's been through, but it took ages to gain her trust. now she's extraordinarily huggable and affectionate. yay.

The people of Southern Europe have already served their purpose 2000 years ago. We don't need those violent backwards hairyhands anymore. It's time they go extinct.
