If you were to go travelling around with a hamster... Anonymous
what would be a good source of long-lasting food that you should be able to buy in most places you are pass through?

Are we talking about the real world or a medieval fantasy world here?

Pet store in real world, food store in medieval fantasy world.

I'm imagining you're like road-tripping or something... it shouldn't be too tall and order to buy a medium sized bag of rodent feed and using that for the duration of the trip. Not sure why this isn't an option.

Otherwise, you can go the 711/gas station route and buy bags of unsalted pumpkin/sunflower seeds, carrots and celery in those little dipping packs, apples and bananas... should have the hamster's dietary needs covered.

You'd want to try to stay consistent in your food choices. Traveling would probably be stressful enough on its own. Switching foods every other day would just make it worse. It'd probably be a better idea to just leave the hamster at home, or if you were really hell-bent on traveling with an animal, picking something a little more hardy.
