dolphin fetus is fucking cute. did they purposely make the womb look like a heart or is that natural?

Its not an egg. Its a dolphin fetus in a dolphin womb. Its an image taken rom a special on, I think, The discovery channel. It was called "In the womb, Animals" and it tracked the growth and development of three animals during there time in the womb. Dolphins, dogs, and Elephants. Dolphin babies do not come from eggs. And it is not a shark.

The show was actually really interesting. Dolphins 'swim' while in the womb, elephants 'run', and dogs 'pant'.

There were to others, one, In the womb (a human baby). And the other was "In the womb, multiples" Which cronicled the time of twins, triplets, and I think septuplets. All three shows were amazing, you should watch them

i don't know if sharks have 'wombs' per se, but as for what 'fetal' sharks do before they're birthed...apparently they kill/eat each other and so only the strongest survive D:

this could just be for great white sharks or other big predatory sharks

t gives birth, but there aren't any mammary glands? So is it classified as a reptile, mammal, or something else?
>> Anonymous
>>75544
Many sharks have wombs.

What you're talking about is oophagy. It's why many types of sharks with wombs have seperate wombs (so more than one shark will be given birth to).

Sharks are fish..

Giving birth alone has very little to do with classification. A lot of completely unrelated animals give birth to live young, including sharks, reptiles and mammals. Conversely there are mammals that lay eggs.
