i have brine shrimp eggs, in 4 cups of water, added 2 table spoons of salt.
the water was first boiled and allowed to sit to remove chlorine
i manually pump oxygen into the water once a day.

nothing hatched,
where did i fuck up?

did you take the shrimp eggs out before boiling?

In all seriousness though, it sounds like you didn't factor in temperature, although I don't know if that's a big deal for shrimp. Manually pumping oxygen also sounds pretty shoddy.

OP: temp sounds like the likely cause, but how come the store brought sea monkeys hatch in there plastic unheated container?

Have you ever tried hatching sea monkeys? While it is pretty easy, it's not just a matter of throwing them into a bottle. You have to keep the temp regular and keep the bottle out of the sun so it doesn't overheat and you do have to keep it in a warm area. It's suggested not to attempt to hatch them in winter unless you keep your house really warm. Also why do you think sea monkeys made it onto the toy store shelf and not your brine shrimp? Though sea monkeys ARE brine shrimp, they've been bred to survive small kids and come with special nutrient packets and whatnot.

It's undoubtedly a temp problem for you.
