I hate bees, and im also allergic so im supposed to avoid getting stunged, but yet again its summer and theres lots of bees and other nasty biting insects all over again, so what to do? what do you do? if you go outdoor and a bee sees you and start its kamikaze dive right on you, is it even possible to avoid the attack? does it work bringing a can of axe with you and spray around in the air while outdoor? or would mace work better?

Well first don't wear flowery or fruity smells. Also don't wear bright colors. All of those attract bees.

Just ignore them. I have had bees check me out and none have landed on me. Even then as long as you don't try to crush them they just fly off.

Do whatever you like, killing them won't bring back your goddamned honey.

Freaking out and waving your arms around just incrases your chanses of getting stunged. Just ignore them.

Yep, im 23 and i have never been attacked by bees. Dont be such a pussy, even if you have allergy you dont need to freak out; they wont attack you if you leave them alone.

Free advice: don't talk much when you ride a bike. There's only two times that I've been stung by a bee (I'm 21) and the worse one was when I was laughing at my friends joke while riding a bike and a bee got into my mouth and stung my in the tongue. I'm not allergic but of course it got swollen and hurt like hell.

Bees don't attack unless you do something stupid. Wasps and horse flies on the other hand exist only to torment man.

I have never been stung by a bee or a wasp. When I was little, if a bee/wasp was buzzing around me, I would run around (literally around) my house a few times as fast as I could to lose the trail. This sounds stupid, but I still do it now (20yo) cuz I'm not out of the house much anyways and when I am I have had no better luck with anything else anyways.

I also agree wholeheartedly with the bicycle idea. I never ate breakfast on the way to class in the morning, but I still managed to get my protein yawning while riding. No idea what I swallowed half the time, know they weren't bees.

How do I got stunged?

Don't act like a fucking idiot around bees, they won't stunged you.

Of course, from the sound of thing, being a goddamn idiot is your forte, so that may BEE a problem.

Haha. Puns.

I used to (and still do) go out and get honeysuckles, a very well known attractor of the fuzzy, pointy assed bastards. I hear and see them no more than a foot away, and still I haven't been stung once in my life.

Wow, have you even ever seen a bee before? Pictures on the internet don't count. I had a paper wasp making a nest under the bucket I had over my buggy tailpipe, I removed the bucket and the wasp didn't sting me. I've never been stung by a bee or wasp that I didn't grab or step on.

If you don't want to be strung by a bee, avoid them.

Other insects are a much bigger problem, IMO.

um excuse me but, WTF are you talkin about?

when i was young, outside driving my remote control car, a bee got all up in my face near my eyes. I stood still hoping for it to go away, but instead it flew up the sleeve of my shirt, and got trapped, then stung me near the nipple. After that it looked like i had 3 nipples.

fucking bees.

If you are allergic, and you are certain of it (as in, you've been to the doctor and they say, J00 will d1e), always carry and know how to use what is called an epi pen. Basically it's an auto-injecting syringe loaded with epinephrine, which is used to treat anaphylactic shock. If you are allergic enough that you will die if stung, your doc will probably educate you on and provide you with one of these.

Doesn't mean you are ever going to be stung by a bee, but it never hurts to cover all your bases.

true, and funny story:

i was walking home with a friend and all of the sudden he freaks out because a bee landed on him. he then explained to me that he was once stung by a bee while walking home this way. as soon as he finished that sentence, the same bee flew back and stung him in the neck!

lol i guess you had to be there.

My grandparents used to keep bees. They never stung me even though I went close to their nests sometimes. I have such fond memories of them that I plan to keep bees myself at some point.

A wasp did sting me once when I was 4 or 5 though.

I endorse this post. I'm allergic as well, and an epi pen saved my life once. Get one.
