Caterpillar help Anonymous
Hey guys I just found this caterpillar like thing. I would like to know its genus etc. hoping you guys can help me take care of it.

Is this the same one as yours? This one is commonly known as the tomato worm but the genus and species is: Manduca quinquemaculata

If it's that big it'll be going cocoon/pupa on you within a few days I think.

That is a Polyphemus Moth caterpillar. It will metamorphose soon.

No, it is an Actias luna 5th instar caterpillar, a luna moth. It should turn a rusty red color soon, at which point put it in a jar with some leaves and watch it cocoon. Keep it in a room with +75 F temp and the light on all the time and it will emerge in 2 weeks if you're in the south.
