give cats shelter? Anonymous
When I got indoors from the cold and rainy weather outdoors some neighbors cat tried to sneak in through my door, of course I put it back out, but now its standing there outside the door meowing. Should I let it in?

Do you ever let others cats in or feed them? Or is it better to not do that? Since they should go home instead.

If you do it once, you're fucked.

Are you sure the cat has a home?

yeah he said it was a neighbors cat, which makes me think it had a collar.

Then just leave it, it'll eventually get the point to go home

either throw cold water over it or run out your house screaming it will get the idea

If you're positive that it's your neighbor's cat, don't let it in. If you aren't, do it just in case it's actually homeless.

Furchase a bottle of Muriatic acid (often used for processing raw leather) from your local hardware store, and next time a cat (or any other unwanted vermin) come sniffing around your property spray it in the face. The Muriatic acid will probably be diluted somewhat, so for maximum effect you may want to boil and distil it.

Assuming the critter lives, I guarantee it will never trouble you again.
