Hey /an/!

Just wondering. I'm undecided on whether I want to get a husky or a greyhound. What's your opinion?

seconded. Huskies.

Not fond of either breed, really.

But i'd get a greyhound over a huskey.

You can adopt them, saving them from being killed after being "too slow" in races. That alone is worth getting a greyhound.
They aren't high-energy dogs.
They're well known for being gentile.

Huskeys are cool and all... but i've never met one that was very well behaved or close with their family. They seem rather distant for dogs.

Those are two breeds that are completely different temperament-wise, so you should ask yourself what kind of owner you would be and what you want in a dog.

For a loving pet, by all means, get a greyhound. You'll find that they'll be much better companions and more orientated on you than huskies that tend to be much more self relient. Greyhounds adore you and love to cuddle with you and lazy about in the home, and they are fun, playful and very active dogs outside.

Greyhounds need a lot of exercise, though not quite as much as Huskies imho. In my experience, Huskies can be neurotic inside the home.

You should look into Whippets as well by the way, they're like a smaller type greyhound, but just as awesome companions.

Buddy of mine has an arabian greyhound. Most catlike dog I've ever interacted with.

Greyhounds are freaky looking shits. My cousin adopted one from a racer, after they hit about a year old they put them up for adoption since they're no longer as fast as they used to be. Fucking dogs are weird as shit. And TALL.

Rescue a greyhound from death. Adopt a retired racing dog.
