There are thousands of unwanted, homeless kids out in the world, just like there are animals.
However, when an animal is born deformed, sick, or can't find a home, we kill it. Do you have any idea how many babies are born not breathing, with tumors in them, or otherwise terribly flawed? How many babies are born, hospital KNOWING the parents damn well can't afford it?
It'd be terribly inhumane to sweep homeless, sick, or deformed kids up and put them down. I do believe that would officially be "cruelty." But because pet owners DO often put their animals down when they're suffering too greatly, or when they're born flawed and won't live a good life, that's more kindness.
So they didn't drop 20 dollars in a goddamn Save Darfur box. They put their pets down when they were suffering or couldn't find a home.
What are you doing for the kids born in the same situation as those pets? Giving a dollar here and there? Do the humane thing and off'em, if humanity is what you're so straight about.
