two questions Penis Moai
Hey /an/

Asking here instead of /p/ since I don't have an original photo of my own to post.

What camera (not too expensive... $500 or less) is recommended for taking up-close and high-resolution photography of insects and other minute creatures?

Every time I see a spider, I wish I could capture it on film before I smack it with my shoe.

There's this spider in my house that's feasting on a dead carpenter ant twice its size... orange legs, black body... skitters away really fast-like when the slightest gust of wind hits it. Given that there's a mass of dead ants around the spider's web, are the chances pretty good that this spider will remain it its comfort zone? As long as it's guaranteed that it won't go anywhere else, I'll leave it alone.

And a picture of an earwig to gross everyone out yay

Any camera with a macro focus will do fine (it looks like a tulip icon.) Just make sure it's 4+ MP (wouldn't bother going higher than 6) and a 3x optical zoom. Stick with a good brand name (canon, sony, kodak, fuji, etc.) and you'll be fine. $300 will get you a lot of camera these days.
