As strange as it seems, it isn't. The placement of the tabby patches is almost identical, but not quite. Pretty weird.

This is certainly abusing your pet

Dammnit! The owners should be jailed for this.

Holy crap you're right! The difference between them is so small.
>> Anonymous
No it's not really the owners fault. They could of prevented it, but some cats and dogs are lazy, and like to eat a lot of food. I've seen some fat cats and dogs that were very persistant beggers. On the other hand there are dogs and cats with food bowls that fill themselves and they aren't fat.

Unless the animals have mind control powers that force their owners to give in to their begging, and/or the animals can fill up their own food dishes, it is the owner's fault.

I had a cat with the same coloring, he just had more white. He was skinny when I found him as a stray but he eventually ended up fat like the cats in the pic. He looked like he swallowed a bowling ball. He wasn't overfed at all, and all my other cats are/were skinny.

We had to get rid of him cause he started taking unnatural shits all over the place and we didn't have the money at that time to take him to the vets.

Maybe it's something genetic in those cats that makes them that fat, cause I've never seen a cat that fat that wasn't those colors. (Those giant breed cats being the exception)

i also only have one cat that is huge, while the rest are skinny. we all feed em all the same but he just gorges himself and steals the other cats food. he just wont stop eating, he even steals food from you if your not watching him. some cats are just fatties, its not always the owners fault. my only reasoning is he was a stray when we got him and very skinny, i guess he never got over that.

lol we even bought him some diet cat food and he gained more weight.

It IS your fault for overfeeding the cat. Don't let him steal your other cat's food. Sound impossible? Nope. There is an easy solution:

Feed your fat cat normally (slightly small portions aren't a bad idea either). Put the food bowls for your other cats someplace where fatty can't get to them. For example, on top of a table where the normal cats can jump up there but fatty can't.

You also may want to see a vet. There is a chance, though small, that your fat cat has some sort of medical condition that is contributing to his weight problem.

did all that jazz and he still gets fat, he even jumps on counters and opens cabinets while we are gone to rummage.he's crazy i tell you, he will eat anything sitting out that the regular cats wont touch. he eats citrus, which most cats hate. we tried putting moth balls in the cabinets and such but he seems to actually like the smell.=/

I've once held a cat like that, and it was something unnatural. Like a brick covered with fur. You'd think a big round cat would be soft, but no, not this cat, it was this huge inflexible lump with legs.

That's strange, I've had one overweight cat before, and he was more like a fluid than a cat. It was really hard to pick him up if he was lying down.
