female bettas pissed off Anonymous
i got these 3 female bettas, they are always attacking me trough the glass, they stop when i feed them, but as soon as the food is gone they are back at it. they stop when i pet them to, i dont know why, i dont know if they like it of if they are afraid, but when i stop its again with the aggressiveness through glass towards me. i dont think they are attacking their reflections...
any advice
what is up with my fish, what are they so pissed off about
pic related thats them

Some are just jerks. They don't fight each other do they?
>> Anonymous
no dont really fight each other, not since they all first met, just the glass

Then the only logical conclusion is that they are an unhealthy pack and need guidance and discipline. I suggest gradually removing the glass and letting them integrate slowly into the floor.

OP

Yes. Even female bettas are aggressive and territorial. They can be housed together because they won't immediately kill one another like males but they're still prone to fighting, so most people don't.

??I fail to see any problem. Yeah, the fish are aggressive to you, but you're like two or three thousand times as heavy as they are.
I had a male once who would always bite my finger, but it was kind of like a human trying to bite a chunk out of a NCAA-regulation basketball. Bettas do have teeth, but their teeth are microscopic. If Bettas were humansized, human skin would be nearly an inch thick.

im not afraid of them, but they do this 24 hours a day, i just want them to be happy, or at least content, taking a break once and a while instead of saying in one corner waiting for some one to walk by, they have a big tank with lots of hiding places and they sit in one fucking corner all day, i got them because i herd that they school around together, and like to hide and skulk around in their tank, but they just do this attacking people that walk by staying in one corner thing all day every day. :(

someone told you bettas like to school? even female bettas don't really like each other. they live solitary lives in cloudy, muddy shallow water in the wild.

All bettas are angry 24/7, I'm sure of it

Maybe try covering the front of the aquarium for a few days? Perhaps they'll eventually start exploring the rest of the aquarium.

protip : female bettas kinda suck, same behaviour as males minus the beauty, just eat them and get a dwarf puffer, you won't regret it

i think they're pretty.

My friend had a couple female bettas who used to do that. Angry fucks, eventually they settled down a LITTLE bit and only kamikazied the glass when they thought there was gonna be food. Currently I have a male betta who actually leaps out of the fucking water from time to time. I put a lid on that shit so I dont come home to suffocated betta.

I had several in a tank once. I had guppies and platies in there too. They did fine. Two of them died off from age, I still have my blue one. She's mellow, comes to the front when she sees me as she expects food.
You should give them some nice full foliage and caves to 'play' in. Mine generally begged, realized that they weren't going to get fed and went exploring.
Also, much scenery allows them to hide if someone gets aggressive.
