dear /an/

I have what looks like a grapevine growing on my property, and now it has begun to bear fruit. I want to know, basically, if the fruit is OK to eat. Pic related, its a rough sketch of the leaf I collected from it.

Looks like a muscadine leaf to me.

Are the fruit dark?

They're also known as scuppernongs and fox grapes.

They aren't really tasty, but they're edible and really healthy.

You don't live in the south-eastern US, do you?

the fruit have the appearance of blueberries actually, about the same size and same color, I tried to taste one but it was quite bitter

and no, I'm not from the southeast

Hmm. I dunno.

I wouldn't try eating it before I knew what it was, though.
