hey /an/ this is my new ferret Picante. One of my other ferrets always grabs the back of his neck and goes into a deathroll with him, but only when outside of the cage. I'm wondering if I should just leave it alone and let them work it out, or get somethin like bitter apple spray so Picante isn't pwnt. He screeches like he's going to die every time it happens.

As long as no one bleeds, leave it. They need to work out their heirarchy. If blood gets into it, you'll have to intervene.

This is pretty much true of all animals, they just need to work out a social structure.

OP, there are only two times you should separate animals like this: 1) if they are fighting to the point of blood, or 2) if one of them is monopolizing the food bowl and isn't letting the other eat. Otherwise, they're fine.
