Am I the only one who feels bad when killing annoying flies and spiders in the house? (I don't give a shit about mosquitoes though since in that case it's some kind of self-defense.)
>> lil chan
yes u should not kill them because if you kill them they might have a family or something at home that is not thinking of their lives

Seriously, flies having shit on a table for dinner! Think about it...
(Pass the corn)
Okay maybe not...

Flies? No. Not a shred of remorse.
Spiders? Spiders don't get killed around here. There's like an unspoken rule. The jumping spiders patrol both floors. The skinny brown ones in the pantry keep the bugs under control. With the weather here, we never really get a good freeze enough to kill bugs, so having hunters in the house is a huge benefit.

I don't feel bad about killing flies, they are a health risk.

But I don't like killing spiders, as they tend to keep other vermin under control.

Sometimes I have mercy for the huge-ass flies, cause most of them aren't disturbing and just want to leave the house.

The only spiders I kill down in Florida are the Daddy Long Legs. Even though they're harmless, they creep me the fuck out with the thin legs.

My rule is basically as long as the bug doesn't bother me, I'll let him do whatever. If I see a spider in a corner, fine. If a fly is just buzzing somewhere harmlessly, dont care too much. Moth flutters in, whatever.

But if the fly starts to bother me, I kill it. If the spider goes somewhere I dont want (on my bed, on my towel, basically anything I will expose my naked or nearly naked body to) I a) try to trap and remove it or failing that b) kill it.

When possible, I let them live or send them outside, no matter what. Only exceptions have been mosquitos, sometimes wasps (in my old office a girl was deathly allergic to them, so we had to kill them if they got in), and cave crickets that infested a basement in a house I rented.

At first it was like "Eh." But then they became overwhelming and were everywhere, so we had to take action. They are disgusting. I felt bad months after a particularly gruesome slaughter, but in the moment I took great joy in it.

I used to feel bad about killing bugs in my house, then I embraced my madness and somehow came to own 5 indoor cats. They do the dirty work, I just turn a blind eye and feel good about myself.......

My kitties kill a lot of the bugs for me; or they at least alert me to the presence of the bugs. One time a giant Jerusalem cricket was crawling toward my bare feet while I sat on the couch and my cat went: o_o
Me: What? What are you looking at?
cat:O_O!!! *stares at bug*
Me: Wha-?Ahhh!
And I put the bug outside.

If I see a spider or other kind of bug, I usually try to catch it and put it outside, where it can continue to live far the fuck away from me. I will kill bugs that I feel are a health risk, though. I smush mosquitoes and such.

Usually the only bug I'll kill are mosquitoes. I feel bad killing anything else really.

My dogs do the same thing, Last time they alerted me to a huge freaking spider (Well to me he was huge) on our coffee table. Went a little like this if I put it like you did:

Dogs: *surrounds table and all stare at the spider*
Me: ...What are you guys doing?
Dogs: *all try to squish the spider with their noses*
Spider: *freaks out and crawls to the middle of the table*
Me: What the hell! Hold on! Hold on! I'll get him!
And yeah he got put out side too. Poor little guy is probably traumatized for life. Hmm couldn't find any pictures of the species this little guy was. Pitty. Well He was short, fat, kinda fuzzy with a few white spots, and what looked like bright green eyes. He was pretty cool lookin now that I think back on it.

Well, I usually just let the spiders be, however, I will kill pretty much anything thats bothering me and can be considered as a bug.

I don't normally kill insects or spiders that come into my house. I'd prefer to just place them back outside. However, I'm taking an entomology course, so I have to kill a bunch for my collection, but at least I get to keep them instead of flushing them down a toilet.

Too bad most web-building spiders find their way back in after you b& them from your house...
>> P3N15
I throw the mosquito into the spiders web and let her do the killing.

i also feel bad bout shit like this but what the hell .

I ignore most flies, but I kill gnats. Though I don't like spiders at all, I will leave them alone if they leave me alone. Mosquitoes are hunted down and destroyed though as the last time I was bit by one it woke me up in the middle of the night with the most severe itching I've ever felt in my life.
