dammit they don't have video of them being moved, just video of the water and ice moving around
but glad to know they FINALLY know the answer

So the nearby lake/ocean/whatever rises or reaches far enough and then pulls the rock on its current when it subsides?

Or does it slide on the ice or what?

I'm fucking dumb, learn me a moving rock.

no there's rain in the winter (rainy) season (sometimes even snow which melts) the water collects at the bottom of the valley and freezes at night. then as it melts strong winds push the ice floes around, which push the rocks.

I remember seeing that exact picture in a science book back in grade school, probably 10 or 11 years. In the book they said it was wind pushing the rocks.

I never did trust school books.

In essence it is the wind that provides the energy that ends up moving the rocks. I guess it was highly misleading.

have to be a pretty strong wind to move around some of the rocks they've found.

ice glacier. the rock was caught up with the ice, the ice moved, then the ice melted eventually. leaving the rock

if the rock was on the ice and moved either over it or directly moved by the ice, why are there drag marks?
