Yeah, it should have taken the beating silently.
What did it do? Did it bite the broom or something?

I don't think you live in Jersey.

Enjoy your southern red state.

How can a spider live in this temperature?

This is a wolf spider right? NOT A BROWN RECLUSE

I have one of those in my closet's top shelf near all my living dead dolls. I sprayed it with raid, and all these babies started to jump at me, and I haven't been up there fucking around since.

Jesus, it's a wolf spider. That's why it attacked the broomstick. A brown recluse would have run the fuck away. That's why they're called recluses.

Wolf spiders have very strong blood lust. No joke I've been woken up about a dozen times feeling like somebody was watching me wishing me ill. Every time it was a wolf spider on my wall or ceiling near my bed staring at me biding it's time waiting to bite. Horrible evil creatures wolf spiders.

I like most other spiders.

this is not a recluses...a brown reluses's legs form a perfect circle around them, also there body is in the shape of a violin. Im from the west texas desert i have both of the spiders, this is wolf spider and i normally leave these ones alone because they will not hurt you at all plus as a bonus they eat other more dangers spider. love your new buddy!

Apparently Lycosa Singoriensis DOES belong to the family of spiders commonly known as "wolf-" but there are a lot of different genuses and species.

Fact 1: Lycosa is a genus of wolf spider.
Fact 2: You never, ever capitalize the specific epithet. Ever.

I do agree that i don't exactly want a bunch of spiders crawling around where i sleep, but i can at least apriciate thier purpose.
