I have two budgeries....no, I have one now. The Blue one I had died sometime early this morning. between 2 and 11am. Now all I have left is the white one. My problem is I've had them for about a year now and the white one is still afraid of me. I keep the top of the cage open so they can come out whenever they want and the only time he leaves it is either when I'm not home or when I'm in the cage(cleaning blows or changing food.)(By in the cage I mean my hands.) the ble one had no problem with me, used to fly on my shoulder no problem, didn't run away when I was in the cage. The White one actually moves to the opposite side of whatever side of the cage I'm on when I just walk up to it. I'm afraid that the bird was abused or something for him to still not trust me, I've never done anything wrong to the bird, and I always talk to him and promptly gave him food and water and bath water.
but still, if I get more than a foot close to it, it flies away.

Also, it flies into things as if they're not there. Flies into walls and windows and people. Yes, people.

Is there something wrong with my bird, or am I doing something wrong?

My sister's budgie is like that, too. Well, at least around me, but I'm not particularly fond of pecky little birds. Flies away when I near and tries to bite when I get too close.

He lets her handle him, and anyone else is they're very very slow and cautious.
