Goodnight Sweet Princess Anonymous
1990 - 2007

We took her down for her final shot... She didn't even respond to us before we left, my mother was a wreck even before the doctor came so we choose to leave before it happened...

April. You will be missed.

She knew it was coming, She didn't eat or drink for three days, all she did was lay on my bed and be compleatly nonresponsive, and she seemed to be physically paralized since she couldn't even move. Hell she stopped blinking last night.

What's it like to have your cat brutally murdered?

Just think, her last thoughts were "omg my owners are having me killed :( ...I thought they loved me :("

Fuck you guys! Do you know how hard it is to have an animal put down that you knew for nearly twenty years of your life?

I am sorry your cat got so sick and had to be put down... I know how hard it is, I had to put my dog down when she entered a similar state.
>> Anonymous
So you're gonna eat her now, right?

Maybe they do that in shitty countries in sub-saharan Arica, but I like to think the western world is a bit more civilised. Except Niggers, of course.

LOL OMG THAT CAT JUST GOT MOTHA FUCKIN OWNED

Putting down an animal is never easy, but still, leaving her alone in her last minutes is just wrong, just because she can't respond doesnt mean she doesn't know whats happening, I doubt you would want to die alone with a white man sticking a needle up your leg.

Still, you're a human, you make mistakes, Im sorry for your loss.

Don't get fed by the troll frenzy, you guys did the right thing.

Good for you for doing the last decent thing you can do for your beloved cat. My girlfriend and I took her 17 year old cat to the vet a month ago for the same reason. It's easier when they let us know - sounds like her not responding to you left no doubt in your mind. Ours was the same - she was limp and unresponsive. You'll always miss April, I'm sure. But after a while, the terrible memories of her final hours will fade and you'll remember the things that always brought a smile to your face. When I think of our cat, I think of her "rowling" at me, standing on my back (no matter how much I asked her to get off, she never would!) and her standing on top of doors (typically after she jumped to them from my back).
I'm sorry for your loss, but you did the right thing for April.

Our 17-year old cat is about to get put down in couple of hours. I just noticed sadness comes in wave-like spikes. Feeling a little better now...

Any suggestions what I could do after the procedure to keep my mind off it? I've never lost a pet before.

OP, you're a stupid fuck for leaving your shitbag cat alone in her final moments. That said, putting down a cat is like tossing out an old pillow, as a cat is about as emotionally responsive as one, and the familiarity of its presence will be forgotten quickly.

Before or after its death? I have pictures of both.
