Not sure if this is the right place to be, But today my dog went to the vets, after the past few days he showed a disinterest in his food, and was drinking a lot of water. This morning he went outside into the garden, threw up again as he had been doing over the course of the past few days, and refused to move from the garden. The vet phoned this evening. His liver is inflamed, and his bloodsugar was at 38, Now down to 20. She can't confirm the problem til tomorrow., but from the sounds of it what are the chances he will survive? he is patterdale terrier, aged 14 years old. I know he is old, but he was so full of life only a week ago. Putting him down will be devastating, he is a member of my family and i value him more than any one else in my family. So if any one has any information or anything please reply.

Yours sincerely
Grimnaw.

He's old and it doesn't sound good. Hopefully he'll come around but you might want to prepare yourself for the worst.
