>>196686 >>196725 It's a big pot with a with a hole in the bottom, so superfluous water can get out. Even so, I only water it when dry (which is every day), and only a bit, not directly on the root. I've planted it this autumn (together with an acorn, but that one doesn't show a sign of life, and neither do the chestnuts outside, logically), and it started to grow about 2 weeks later. Now it's got leaves, is about 20cm tall, and in front of a window that gets afternoon sun. I will consider putting it outside in spring.
