/an/, it seems my poor guinea pig, belle, has a respitory infection again. What should I do ? I'm going to take her to a vet tomorrow, but this is her 2nd, and i'm worried it's something that'll keep coming back.

Pic semi-related, but isn't my belle

I did, and I do continually every 4 days.

Antibiotics.
Dunno about piggies, but vets give rabbits baytril. Talk to him about it or another antibiotic, maybe something stronger.
Is she eating all right? Those things that make vapor may help with the breathing. Talk to the vet about it.
Hope she gets well soon.

That's a good idea, i never thought about the air filter thingies. I might give that a try.

Right now, she's in heaven! I just gave her a huge handful of carrotts because i freak out whenever this happens. My last piggy died soon after he started making the same sort of noises she is (though for a different reason), so when she does this it throws me into a panic

I don't know anything about guinea pigs, but her nails seem to be sort of long. Is that a problem?

Yeah, those nails could really use a trim. OP says it's not the guinea pig in question, though.

You're still using paper-based bedding, right?

Other than that....you don't live with a smoker, right?

my pig had respitory infection once, the vet gave her injections, after that she was afraid of everything
