I got a cat today and my new cat seems to hiss at the old cat whenever I let them interact. Is this normal?

Some cats just really fucking hate each other. My 4 formed teams of 3 and 1. Female against male.

I just got an 11 year old cat at my house, and I had 2 cats already (one is her brother but they've been separated for years.) She's lived with 3 cats before, and she loves me, but she's still hissing and fighting with my cats. It's been about 2 weeks.
I hope she changes ;_;

it can go on forever. especially if either of them have siamese blood. protip: to ensure new cats got along with old ones, make sure all new ones are kittens...(i know that's not always possible)

No, but like I said one of cats is her brother. You'd think they'd get along better.
It seems to be a dominance thing. He's used to being the head cat and now she wants to be. But it's mostly about her, the other cats don't seem as agressive as she does.
