It looks like it will go in your ear and lay eggs.

I want them so bad. What PH do they need? Any temperature requirements? Will they kill my fish that are about two inches long?

they live from 3 weeks to 3 months, and grow really really fast, i wonder what would happen if they lived for 3 years, we'd have triops the size of cattle

i had them for about 6 months, went through 2 generations, 2nd generation i had like 7 full sized adults by the end of it, first one was like 3. In the End they all ate eachother. awesome pets, just a pain to clean every 3 days.

Looks like the OP's is australiensis (sp). Most popular versions are the caudatlis (sp).

I have a small 3 gallon aquarium that I am keeping a single tetra in right now. When the tetra dies I'm either going to turn the tank into a carnivorous plant terrarium or a triop pond. I've never kept triops, but I've had some eggs laying around for 10 years; no joke. I am certain that they are still viable.
