So... true story.
I live in a big house with a bunch of my college roommates, and my room is in the basement. Earlier this year I was in the middle of sex with my boyfriend, and all the lights were out. I was right in the middle of a really good orgasm, and I mean right at the climax, when I felt something by my neck. And then I felt it crawl really fast over my chest and down to around the bellybutton. I started screaming and my boyfriend turned the lights on, and I saw as it ran away across the sheets that it was a huge monster fucking centipede.

Trauma. Biggest high to low roller coaster I've ever had. Can't stand thinking about the things ever since 0_0

Birds. I have scars all over the left side of my face from when a pet shop owner put some sort of bird on my shoulder, and instead of being "aww, cute birdy" it was "AAAAH, OH GOD, IT'S BITING MY FACE, IT'S BITING MY FUCKING FACE, GET IT OFF ME"

From that point on, whenever a bird gets within like, 5 feet of me I have a panic attack, it's really terrifying.

above all things.

the deer tick.

I'd much rather face a lion consciously than a tick unconsciously.

I can't stand the idea that they're so small they can sneak up on you and start feasting on your lifeblood without you noticing.

...I just hate anything that can attack me in such a way that I have no defense (at least until my girl notices it SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF ME).

I also hate how they're too tank-like to simply squash, but if one is found, I make a point to torture them as best I can.

I either impale it on a safety pin and then slowly burn it with a lighter, or pick it up with duct tape and then fold the duct tape over it a couple times.

Try getting out of that, fucker.

roaches.

when i was little my mom had these old, senile friends. i don't know why, they were like twice her age but whatever. one time we went over to their house at night and it took me all i had not to throw up.

their house was probably half rotten and everything was dirty. all their movies had a crust of roach shit around the edges, all of them, and if you peaked inside some of them then there was probably a roach there waiting for you. everywhere, fucking roaches. the worst thing was that they just ignored them. they were sitting on the couch, just letting the fucking roaches crawl all over them. plus it smelled so bad, i'll always associate that smell with roaches.

I knew someone who had a fear of dead fish, too.

The story goes... When she was just starting to walk, she found a fish that had just jumped from the aquarium and died.

The baby was picking it up and about to put it in her mouth when her mother noticed and screamed.

That's the only explanation she could ever give for why dead fish terrified her.

The other problem was that she loved having a ton of live fish in a huge aquarium, which inevitably die, causing the occasional "I can't look at my aquarium omg there's a dead one can you please help"
