Yes, Iguanas take alot of time and effort. Believe me, I used to own 5 full-grown iguanas AT ONCE. 2 males and 3 females. They need lots of room, So I suggest you build a big and tall custom enclosure with plastic chicken wire screens so they can climb. They like to be high up so LOTS of giant logs will do. It's good to experiment with their diet. Each one always likes something different. Be sure to sprinkle a calcium supplement over their food, as they have bone issues and can become weak and crippled if they don't have enough calcium. My iguanas preferred yellow squash and zucchini with, believe it or not, canned pumpkin. You mix the calcium with it and roll it into a ball and they'd go crazy over it! Also, if you have dogs, put your dogs food up if you let your iguana roam about house. They will eat it like candy. As a side note, they like to shit in their waterbowl to keep their cage clean, so I suggest you have two. One for shitting, and the other for drinking. OP's picture was about the size of one of my males, he was 13, Mortimus, or Morty. He was the sweetest thing in the world and would sleep in my bed. Iguanas can be very enjoyable pets when properly taken care of. And quite the eye-catcher! :3
