When I was walking home I saw a stray kitty and I couldn't resist but to pet it and since I spilled yogurt on my hands, kitty licked my fingers.
The problem is, I had few open wounds on my fingers, and my brother told me I can get parasites and diseases and whatnot from the stray kitty.

I think he's overdoing it a bit, what do you think /an/?

I think you should keep an eye out for any symptoms and bring it up next time you see a doctor for a regular check-up.

He IS overdoing it. The only thing you're likely to get from that is rabies, and even that's pretty low risk - cats, especially kittens, are extremely sensitive to disease, and you'd know a rabid cat when you see it.

well i hope you washed your hands

If you have open wounds in your hands, you can be pretty sure that shitloads of bacteria, viruses and molds have already tried to enter. Most likely they've all failed.

was not the best idea, you will most likely die of some strange virus.

At the worst you'll get a local infection at the site of the wound from the bacteria in the cats mouth. If you washed your hands you should be fine.

you could possibly die.

The cat's mouth is probably pretty clean. Cleaner than any person's mouth.

A cat's mouth is ten times cleaner than a dog's mouth and everyone knows that a dog's mouth is ten times cleaner than a human's mouth. This is a fact because I French kiss my dog every day.

These stupid ass statements are worthless at best. A human mouth is no dirtier than an animals mouth; Yes, they're both "dirty" (what an awesome, descriptive word) in their own way.
I mean, what the hell, go get bit by a Komodo and come back and tell me a humans mouth is "dirtier"

I was actually hospitalized by a cat bite. So, no, a cat's mouth is not "pretty clean." They're filthy.

OP, however, probably has nothing to worry about. Cats lick my scratches all the time. It's only the puncture wounds/deep scratches that are bad.
