Kotatsu, but I think kotatu is acceptable, given half of the japanese romanise 'tsu' as 'tu'.

Prefer tsu though.

Technically both romanzations are acceptable. In fact, in many Japanese texts, it would be romanized as Kotatu. This is because the hiragana is based off of a consonant sound and the 5 vowel basics. i.e. "ka ki ku ke ko", however the t set is different, phonetically, it's "ta chi tsu te to", however, if you hold to the set, it's "ta ti tu te to". A true phonetic ti and tu sound is only found in some Japanese dialects and I believe in Okinawan.
