Dear /an/
I have just got a 1yr old hermann tortoise.
Help me name it.
I was thinking A'tuin, but thats a turtle.
Also, i live in a 2nd floor flat with no garden and cold english weather.

I almost forgot before you go psycho about lack of garden, ive outfitted the third bedroom (35sqft) into a sort of grass based obstacle course for it with a heated enclosure and all the gubbins.

You do realize tortoises are just land turtles, right? They're not different animals.

Well, as long as you're in America, that is. I think it has different connotations if you're British or Australian.

You realise turtles are the swimming bastard cousins of tortoises and they dont speak with that side of the family thankyouverymuch

Read 131045. They're considered the same animal in America (well, all tortoises are turtles, not all turtles are tortoises, etc), but not considered the same animal in other places. Read the whole thread next time.
