>>168275 I grew up in Florida and have eaten gator on a number of occasions. The first was at the shark tooth festival in Venice, on a kabob. Possibly my favorite, but I was staying with a friend of mine out in the backwoods (up in the Panhandle near where the Suwanee River lets out into the Gulf) and his mother made a wonderful gator tail stew. Gator tail has good texture, but I think it is best at absorbing the flavors around it rather than being something I would eat on it's own.
