I found and killed two of these guys and another without wings... I'm pretty sure they're termites.

Do i call the landlord?
>> Anonymous
Oh, also, if i do, i'm concerned about the family of cats living under the house...
>> Anonymous
yes, that's a termite.

They are not dangerous to the cats. If they bother the kitties the mom will just move them to a different place. And if you are concerned about your landlord hurting the cats, you could wait til they grow up a little, give them away to an animal refuge and then call your landlord.

I think he's worried about the exterminators getting the cats too.

Would it be possible to call the exterminators yourself, pay for the job and send the bill to the landlord? That way, the landlord will never find out about the cats. If you are worried about the poisons, I guess you'll need to wait like 101688 said or discuss their health and safety with the exterminator before he/she comes to your place. Also, make sure you check the Internet (or other places/people) if the exterminator has a bad reputation. We once hired a large company to do a job for us, and those pirates physically destroyed a verandah support post that was fine and "treated" areas with no termites, then gave us a massive bill.

you are correct sir.

The exterminator who comes to our house uses some stuff that's not toxic to cats and dogs since we have an outdoor kitty.

You should mention this to your landlord when you request an exterminator.

is the landlord a jew? if so, that bug might be one of his larval offspring.
