People who advertise Mini or Teacup anything, outside of long established, registered breeds (Mini Schnauzer, Mini Bull Terrier) are most likely just in it for your money. They breed simply on the basis of size, not overall health or temperament. You often end up high strung, sickly dogs with serious behavior issues.
The Alaskan Klee Kai was bred down from the Alaskan Husky (Not the Siberian) by taking naturally small but robust individuals and outbreeding them to smaller spitz type dogs. The Alaskan Husky is more a type then a breed, and in the process of standardizing the breed, they came to look more like their Siberian cousins, only smaller (though the Klee Kai comes in three different sizes according to the standard).
