While I've not tried it since I have no time, money or will to get off my ass and away from the computer, if I ever become successful and non-lazy it's something I'd love to do.

Unfortunately, while being a huge fan of birds of prey, I can't really condone taking something from the wild and training it for personal use, even if it's just temporary. I'd absolutely jump on the chance to be a rehabilitator though, housing and tending to wounded raptors and releasing them.

Although there's always the soul-crushing moments of euthanizing an animal, or of getting one in with a bullet wound.

I'd like to, but it takes years of training for bird and man. Plus the birds themselves cost upwards of $1000... plus there must be some law against owning a large predatory bird somewhere in this country.

It would be fun however to own one in a suburban area, so if your neighbors cats or other small animals start to annoy you, you could sick your falcon on them.
