Hey /an/, at around midnight we found a homing pigeon perched on our front doorway at around midnight, we thought it was hurt knowing that there was a cat around somewhere, its almost 4:50 and SPCA is closed,

Right now I don't think its hurt, its moving, but not flying obviously, don't know if the wings are clipped or not.

So does /b/ know what food I can give to it so it can stay alive for another day? Or any other things I need to know so that it doesn't die until tomorrow at least?

I said it in /b/ and I will post again here:

Do not give it junkfood or tropical foods. Offer it a whole wheat bread, cooked pasta, or cereal (no kids sweet stuff)
Is he banded?

Homing pigeons should be banded...Was it hard to catch him? I can't imagine a feral pigeon walking into your hands but it is unusual someone would not band a pigeon.
Also- if he can fly you should allow him to fly home one his own. Unless he is injured a homing pigeon will be able to find his way back. I'm not sure what a safe way to find out if he could fly would be...

He wasn't too hard to catch, also knowing the fact that he wasn't/couldn't fly(ing)..

If he can't fly, and isn't banded, my guess would be a sick feral or a lost pet. Just keep it safe and give it water or water and food until you can call the aspca
