Hey, /an/, this is my first time here.

Okay, so I need help. I got a kitty today and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with her. She is about a month or two months old and she needed a home, so I agreed to take her with me. But the problem is, I never had a cat before.

I made a little cardboard house and put some old blanket in there, so now she is sitting there.

I will read some stuff about cats on the internet later, but can you tell me what I should do right now? Should I buy milk for her? Should it be warm? What should I give her to eat?

Pic related, took a picture of her just now.

First don't give her milk unless you like having to clean up runny cat poop. As for food just buy tinned kitten food, it might help if you ask who you got her from what they fed her before hand.

You're gonna need a litter box and cat litter for obvious reasons.

Also if I recall correctly a Kitten shouldn't be taken away from their mother till they are 10-12 weeks old at least as the mothers milk is still bolstering it's immune system till then.

Ironically your advice is too early. A month-to-two-months old kitten isn't lactose intolerant yet. It only develops when it becomes old enough to be weaned off the teat.

so... cute...

well, since you're this cat's new mother, you must teach it how to hunt for birds and small rodents

once you get a litterbox, but the kitten in there automatically. And do this several times throughout the die. This way she'll be more likely to shit and piss there, instead of on your clothes.

I FUCKING LOVE EXCEL SAGA
>> Crazy Cat Lady
>>314730
kittens are most commonly adopted at 8weeks. as soon as they eat mostly solid food they are adoptable. having a kitten still nursing at 10-12 weeks is a HUGE stress on the mother.

OP: dry and wet kitten food will be fine for her, don't forget about a separate dish for water. she's probably a little scared being in a new place so don't be worried if she isn't out exploring right away. go buy some toys, sticks w/ feathers on the end, balls that jingle. litter box of course, expect her (?) to have a few accidents. just be patient and enjoy having your little furry friend
is her name hyatt or excel?

>hyatt or excel?

Hah... Even though I love Excel Saga, I think I'm going to name her Runa. I wanted to name her Luna at first, but then someone suggested Runa, and I liked it.

Thank you, everyone.

What a pretty kitty :3
Definitely take her to a vet. She may have worms/fleas/ear mites etc. Up here, the kitten package is about 110 dollars but for 140 you can get free visits for a year. If nothing else, at least get her dewormed and tested for FIV and those other ones. Some tests you don't need if she's never been outside.

DON'T give cats milk. some cats can't stomach it. wet and dry kitten food will work, then wean her off the wet after a few months. keep fresh water down at all times. she's adorable!

Make sure the litterbox and food/water dishes are fairly apart from one another but perhaps in a nearby room. If you put them side by side it will cause problems.

Definitely take her to the vet. The vet can also answer questions for you and give you food samples.

What a little sweetheart!

THEY WILL POOP IN THEIR FOOD AND EAT THEIR LITTER

If you leave it outside, maybe it won't come back.
