Okay, /an/. I might have a problem.

We moved and we were unable to bring my cat at first due to having cleaning chemicals out a bunch. I've visitied him about 2 times a week so he knows I am not dead.

We're finally ready to bring him over. Will he freak out because of a new house? What is the best way to familiarize him with where his food and litterbox will be at?

eh. put him in a room and keep his food and litterbox in the room (not side by side obviously) until he's brave enough to venture. Once he's freely roaming about, place said items wherever you like. Voila.

make sure not to put them too close together. they either won't eat or take a dump outside of the box.

time is really all your kitty needs to get aquainted with a new space. they'll venture when they feel comfortable.

All right, sounds easy enough. Thanks a bunch.

just make sure he has a place to hide is all. a big empty room would rattle his nerves lol. give him some feeling of security.

Back at the old house he spent all of his time in my room and played with me, he only went out to eat and poop. So I suppose me being there might help. I'll just set up base in my room.

well, just put one of those fancy plug in air fresheners in there and empty the litter box regularly and you'll be cool. it's ok to take him out in your arms and stuff you know... don't have to wait for him to do it on his own entirely.
