Favorite animal and why

Japanese Spider Crab

One day I dream of being so rich I can have a giant aquarium full of these things built underneath my living room with a glass bottom so you can look down and see them.

Rocky Mountain Cougar

Graceful, one of the earlier evolved cats, apex predator. Can jump HUGE distances, looks cuddly and can still purr. It's just a huge overgrown housecat with its wild origins still in-tact.

Can it be tamed?

They can be kept as house-cats if raised from infancy.

I don't think so, Tim. Every cat has its moments of rage. My 15 pound cat can do a fair bit of damage considering his size. Imagine what a hundred pound kitty would do to you when it gets slightly pissed off at something.

I didn't say they were domesticated per-se, but they will live along-side humans with a couple small adjustments. The main thing you have to discourage is no roughhousing with your cat, even though it may be fun at first. Feel free to have games of fetch, but don't play hide and seek or tag. The only thing that makes them much different is their size. Female mountain lions grow to be around 150, males can be 200 lbs.

If you were going to keep one, they'd be better off in a large enclosure outside. Them being house cats is kind of unrealistic.

Yay for sepia!

I love this tiny one:

Seeing them move is so great, the walk over the ground like that's what all cuttlefish do all the time. Plus they are deadly poisonous.

What, you've never seen a Skull Crab before? They're actually called Coconut Crabs due to their habbit of rolling and crushing coconuts but realizing that a large coconut is roughly the size and strength of a human skull... it gets self-explanitory after that.

I ate one of those once. They don't commercially fish for them because they don't live in large groups but sometimes they get pulled up with something else and my fisherman buddy brought one over to me one time.

Had the hardest goddamn shell I've ever encountered before, but it was the best tasting crab I ever had.
