Cats seem to kill these bastards all the time, but they don't seem to eat them...

Shrews apparently taste really bad. Not the best defense in the world, granted.
>> Anonymous
>>73253Agreed, seems several small animals have that as a defense. What the point of tasting bad or being poisoinous if it doesnt really work or do anything till they are being munched on? XD

I don't like these animals. I've seen dozens of them, dead and bloody. And when I asked why the cats didn't eat them my parents told me what you just did; they taste bad. So every time I was a dead shrew that had it's intestines outside I also thought how bad it would taste like. I also had nighmares of zombie shrews -_-

I mean when I SAW a dead shrew, not "when I was a dead shrew"...damn

I caught a shrew in my back yard when I was a little kid. Held it really gently in my hands and it died of a panic-induced heart attack anyway. It was depressing.

My dog goes bad shit insane when she's trying to dig these things up.
And the babies bites onto each others tails and walk in a line, right?

these are also some bad ass fuckers. according to the most extreme, they are the best predator?

All I know is they are strict insectivores. Did it say anything interesting about how they prey on insects?
