Allright, so I have the choice of,Platymeris biguttata(White spot assassin bug)Platymeris laevicollia - spelling?(Red spot assassin bug)Now I am in Canada where these things are illegal, I know some species can survive our winters here but I am not sure if the species above can. Either way I plan to keep one of them.So my question to you /an/ is, which should I choose, and what caging idea's could I use to best prevent any escape? Also what care requirements do these species have? So if you have them feel free to post up how you have them housed. Also should I have more than one? I know they are communal and as long as they are well fed you will never see any cannabalism.
Animals are generally illegal to keep in certain areas for a reason.Enjoy your ecosystem destruction.
>>301214I don't think it's harmful to the ecology but it is the vector for a very nasty parasite. Pretty sure this is why it's illegal....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chagas_disease
