/an/, my puppy has ringworm. The vet just called us.

Now I'm terribly afraid that I'm gonna get it too.

What're the odds? What can I do about it?

Ringworm is a simple fungal infection... Just take showers regularly and wash your hands every time you touch it if you get it. You can put anti-fungal creams on it to make it go away if you want. It's pretty much harmless to humans unless you do nothing about it and let it get godawful.

Yea I got ringworm from my Rat. I put on anti-fungal cream but ironically since I've stopped putting it on it seems to have gotten better.

Humans can get ringworm but it is easy to deal with. The same products that work on athlete's foot work on ringworm.

I got ringworm from volunteering to walk dogs at a local humane society. Didn't know what it was so let it get rather bad before I found out and then it was hell to get rid of. For the record, selsun blue helped as much if not more than the prescriptin antifungal I was given.
