Hey /an/, I was messing around outside when I saw the tail of a snake slithering under my house. I've drawn it as best as I remember. Visible tail was about 48cm long and 3cm thick at widest.

Can you identify this snake? Is it venomous?Should I camp outside with a shovel and wait for it? I have a lot of little brothers and I don't think our local hospital stocks antivenom.

It might be an eastern Ribbon Snake. They aren't poisonous.

Looks more like a red striped ribbonsnake, I don't think they are venomous either.
>> OP
It does look like a ribbon snake, but I'm nowhere near a water source. I'm in the middle of Texas.

Judging from your picture it's a mutated snake, you'd better get out of America in case
