thinking about getting a new pet- i have an empty 15 gallon tank- more tall than wide- originally for fish, but i couldn't keep the algie away so i moved them to their old acrylic tank, thinking about a low maintenance reptile who can live in this tank, any suggestions?
thinking about a small snake or lizard
also if you make a suggestion i would appreciate some do's and do not do's about it- how to take care of it and what it eats ext....
thanks

If its long you could probably get a leopard gecko. If you intended to buy multiple geckos, only get one male, 'else they would fight and it would be a bother.
A 15 gallon tank might be okay for a baby snake but I'm pretty sure you'd have to move up to a bigger tank once it matures, as such getting a snake depends on if you're willing to spend the money upgrading to a better tank.
That's all I have time to write for now, /an/on will probably give you some better answers, but whatever /an/on tells you, even though I'm sure its good information you should do as much research online as you can, buy/borrow a book on your chosen species and ask the pet shop owner if you do get around to buying one, as lots of information tends to conflict and you'll probably have to choose what you think is best anyway.

What if you made one of those multi-ecosystem sets for an amphibian (ie frogs etc)? I've seen neat ones that had the bottom with shallow water and the top like a climbing range and it was perfect for frogs and you can also put a beta in the bottom and to top it off it just looks fucking cool.
