Need some info and advice /an/. I currently have a chow/lab mix and she is about 2 years old. She is a very sweet dog, not very smart but still, but she doesn't really like strangers and absolutely hates other dogs (or itleast she did when we first got her, she was abused and had a messed up leg and she would growl/snap at other dogs when we would take her out).

Now to my question. For the longest time I've wanted an English Bulldog puppy to raise and have as my own since every dog I've had has been more of a family dog and not really MY dog. I was wondering if it is even a good idea to try and get a puppy while I still have my current dog, maybe through training or just having the puppy around long enough my chow would get used to it. Also, I've heard mixed feeling about english bulldogs, I had a friend say they get sick easily and have to be taken to the vet constantly and I've heard mixed feelings as to whether they are good social dogs or not. Any info or opinions would be helpful, thanks.
