Hi /an/,
I found this dove(?)in my backyard. Can anyone tell me what type of dove it is?
I live in southern CA if that helps any.

It looks like a young pidgeon actually, they are called saquabs at that size, and apparently good eating at fancy resturaunts.

Too big to be a morning dove imo, plus I've seen baby pidgeons before, and they look just like that google proves it. Rock dove, pidgeon, flying rat whatever.

Its pretty small though...

well shit, it does kinda look like a morning dove too...I guess I don't know the damn difference, lol

Spotted dove, morning dove, band tailed dove, and pigeon....it has to be one of those anyway
