So /an/, we have a feral kitten that wandered inside our house. He came in with another one of my cats, whom this kitten seems to be rather attatched too. He's been hiding in our house for the last two days. He'll usually run away if we aproach him, but if our cat ( the one whom the kitten seems to like ) is around, he'll come right around to us, and even let us pet and hold him, if you're gentle enough.

He's about 6-8 weeks old, and he's been living outside in our yard for the past few week or so. He only just wandered inside a few days ago. He's been kind of staying here since, hiding underneath the basement stairs, using the litter box, eating the cat food etc. etc.

Now, any advice that could be given to me to help socialize this little rascal, or is he been out too long or something.

Pic is related, as that is the picture of the cat whom the kitten has adopted as it's care giver.

I don't know about socialization, but if I were you, I'd capture the little one, take him to the vet, get all shots and get it fixed while at it. I am thinking about the health of your cat, mostly.

Yeah, if your cat is around the feral you could easily have some transfer of diseases or bugs, etc. This cat doesn't sound completely feral because ferals don't usually tolerate people. Perhaps it was someone's kitten who they just dumped when their cat got preggers and had a litter.

You need one of those cat nip toys with a rod, string, and toy at the end
