Some guy in Britain's west country has bred miniature pigs with the intention of selling them as pets. Is this awesome? [Y]/N

I hope that one day, pocket porkers become as mainstream a pet as cats, and that the confirmation of this wide-spread popularity comes in the form of lolpigs.com

Well as long as they don't have stomachs that resemble cookware or come from Asian countries, it's fine with me.

The parent breed of these miniature pigs is some sort of rare New Zealand pig.

Is there a link to said pocket piggies?

Judging from the amounts of pictures of wolves and pumpkins, are wolves known to really enjoy them?

Thermodynamics.

I looked around, and it seems like a tradition at some wolf parks to give the wolves pumpkins for halloween. That'd explain the pics.

here's one: http://wolfparkstore.com/?mainURL=%2Fstore%2Fitem%2Fh2nt%2FSeasonal_Specials%2FBuy_A_Wolf_A_Pumpkin.

How big do these "miniature" pigs get when they grow up?
>> Anonymous
Pigs make incredible pets. As I understand it they are far more trainable than dogs.
>> Anonymous
Yay another trendy pet!

I remember when "miniature pot bellied pigs" were all the rage. A pet store near me was selling them for $300. What they conveniently forgot to tell customers was that "miniature" pigs top out at 250 pounds. End result = unwanted adult pot bellies. :(

A friend of mine had a miniature pig as a pet. It was basicly the same as having a small dog, except it was much cuter.
>> Anonymous
>>169064
Yes. Especially with little piggies in them.

I'd rather have a miniature elephant.

Because when you say "beach" it sounds like "bitch" and I have to laugh at you very hard.
New Zealander: "Have you seen our beautiful bitches?"

And no one in New Zealand washes their hands. Once in a while they run their hands under the water for a second. Using no soap. All the soap dispensers in New Zealand are full. Always. Even in the bathrooms that employees in restaurants use.

Sheep outnumber people.

There is broken glass all over the sidewalks in all the towns and cities.

There are no wild animals except birds and ugly wettas.

Thats why.

On the plus side, the rain forests are very nice.

Oh, yes I have. The above observations are all a bit harsh, but unfortunately true.

Wash your fucking hands after going to the bathroom.

Possums are going to take over your country, but that's OK with me because I very much like the possum/wool clothes. I wonder how long before you start finding possum burgers offered O_o

CNN's website had/had a video-clip of these piggies. Apparently, the dude in the UK has spent the past 9 years in crossbreeding the pigs to 1/5th the size of a normal pig. The piglets they show? Size of 8-week old kittens, and FUCKING CUTE! This guy also operates a petting-zoo, where folks can play with, and buy the pigs, for around $300 each.

Fully grown, they are around 100lbs. About the size of a Border Collie, just well...Like a PIG.

I'm SO trying to find a way to get one of these! Too cute for words.
