I would love to know how this ended.

It flew away with the cat in it's mouth but ended up dropping it in the ocean.

I refuse to believe that, sir.

if the cat got loose from the birds grip I'd say the cat could easily kill a pelican

This type of heron has been known to eat frogs and rats, it is true, but the photographer Sprang Vianen couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the bird creeping up on a young rabbit. The rabbit captured, it shrieked and struggled while being hung from its ear in the pelican’s mouth.

The bird the flew 50 metres to a ditch where he drowned the rabbit and, against all feeling of proportion, easily swallowed it whole.

Motherfucking theropods. They had us fooled for a while, with the beaks and the plumage, but we're on to them.

Actually Jurassic Park tried to fool us by making the raptors featherless. Those bastards have been plumaged all along.

I think it was just that Jurassic Park was made before the feathered dinosaur revolution...

>>76715
they also royally fucked the velociraptors.
>> Anonymous
>>76858
Yeah. Velociraptor was the size of a small dog. They had fucking Deinonychus sized ones running around.

Before anyone tells me "no itz not it wer utahraptr", no. No, it wasn't. Utahraptor was bigger than that.

It came out before the final conclusive proof, not before a lot of theropod specialists were convinced they probably had feathers.

The Jurassic Park "Velociraptors" were big even by Deinonychus standards, though. At their tallest, Deinonychus antirrhopus only really reached about three to four feet high at the hip, which is notably smaller than the literally man-sized movie animals. So really, the Jurassic Park Raptors don't have a real-world size equivalent that we know of, it's just that Deinonychus is the closest parallel (save possibly for the little-known Mongolian Dromaeosaur by the name of Achillobator).

Mmm, I had always read/seen Deinonychs as man-sized. Thanks for the correction, man.

Poster of the post you quoted, if you hadn't figured it out already.

Hmm. Was Deltadromeus a dromaeosaurid?
>> Nagi
>>76915

Deltadromeus was originally classified as a Coelurosaur, but further study revealed it to be a member of Noasauridae, a currently ill-understood group of dinosaurs descended from Ceratosaurs and closely related to Abelisauridae.

It was also nearly T.rex sized at around 40-feet (far bigger than initial discoveries suggested), and lightly built for sprinting.

If this cat is dumb enough to let a pelican get that close it deserves to get eaten. They are like garbage cans. They will eat anything
