My cat ruined my bro's monitor with spraying. The monitor was repaired but a couple of weeks or so later he sprayed it again. We just bought another monitor, my bro didn't want to go to the shop and have to explain why he's brought the same monitor soaked in piss a second time :/ The thing with this cat is that he was castrated TWICE. Yep, that's right, twice. Even if cats don't stop spraying after getting fixed they do drop other habits like trying to hump the ever loving shit out of everything in sight and when my cat didn't stop doing these things we got suspicious and took him to another vet. Turns out he had a condition, don't know what it's called, where a third testicle develops inside but it's not visible in a simple neutering procedure. While not being able to reproduce, that testicle will secrete hormones and make the cat act like a regular one. So he had to have surgery in order to remove it. The vet said that because this sort of testicle has an irregular shape, that makes it very hard to remove it and theres always a chance that a tiny part thats not visible to the human eye will remain and continue producing hormones. Luckily, my cat stopped acting like a male in heat and hasnt sprayed since then.
So yeah, fix your cat. My personal opinion is that hell stop spraying if theres no reason thats keeping him motivated to do so (i.e. another male cat in the house or cats coming at your window and taunting him or something).
