hey /an/, I was wondering what kind of litter you'd recommend for a 1 cat household. Like, is there any brand that you and your cat are supremely happy with?

I like to use pine. It clumps, doesn't stink, and doesn't give your kitty black-lung.

I use Yesterday's News, which is a lot like Feline Pine except it's made of recycled paper products instead of pine. They're both flushable, which is why I like them.

As>>195509said, it clumps and doesn't stink.

has your cat always used that kind of litter? when my cat was about 4 months we tried using flushable litter, but she wouldn't use it. Now she's about a year and a half, think i could try it again?

I brought her home from the shelter when she was about six month old, and I've only ever used feline pine and yesterday's news. Both come in little cylindrical pellets that dissolve and clump when they get wet. My in-laws have kept her for a couple of weeks here and there, and they use some other sort of generic clay litter, but she doesn't even seem to notice the switch.

What kind of flushable litter were you using?

fairly certain it was feline pine. I know that was the very first litter we got her, and she was pooping in corners instead. but she was also in a very new and different environment, so maybe that had something to do with it? it was just weird, cause once we got the clay litter she would use the box.
