Oh, come on. How many fucking dogs do you know that are actually used for hunting or herding in areas where their tail is likely to get injured? I've known, oh, three or so in my entire life, and guess what? They were all breeds not commonly docked (bluetick and redbone coonhounds, owned by seriously fucking redneck relatives). Injuries to the tail? Oh, bitch please. I worked in a veterinary clinic for four fucking years, and I saw a grand total of ONE dog with an injured tail... ran over by the owner's car while he was sitting in the driveway. But I saw probably thirty dogs with eye, nose, or ears injuries, and almost four times that many leg injuries. Should we cut off their legs, too, asshole?
