Neither did I, really. I ended up skipping half of it. Not really something I want to see anyways. I condone the likes of vivisection and animal testing, yes.
However, as much as Eastern countries butcher and torture the creatures they farm for fur, you need to sympathise on some level that, the government sometimes just can't afford to give a better quality of life for the animals and don't have the money to do anything about it. Many of those workers do it that way because it's the cheapest and easiest way for them- they have to fill the quota to put food on their families' tables.
Sure, they know it's wrong, but they were born and live in such a society. What choice do they have? Scientists have the technology and the money to give better care, but they do not.
