Ok /an/, first post here. I got a problem with this stray cat. 2 actually. I have no fucking idea where they come from but they keep on trying to sneak in my apartment (I live on the first floor). Since it's pretty hot here, I keep my windows open, and that's where they enter. The other night I forgot to close the windows and they came in and started to fool around, I have no idea what they do apart from scratching my furniture, maybe looking for food. I see this will be a real problem once the summer comes so I need a way to scare them off forever, without violence. Any tips to scare these unwanted visitors? Pic related I guess.

Oh, they tried to enter again. Stupid cats. Better than rats though.

Get screens.... a whole bunch of bugs are probably getting in too and that's gross.

1. Stand facing them
2. Make fists with your hands
3. raise them up above your head so they make a "V" shape.
4. Yell as loud as you can at them.
5. ???
6. Profit!

Set up cages and capture them, then take them into an animal shelter.

Or, seriously, kill them. Cats have a tendency to think every place they step, they own, sort of like Russians, who should also be killed.

You should really get some screens, though, as you likely are letting in a ton of bugs.

I don't know about the bug thing apart from the usual fly, since the janitor sprays insecticide once in a while, so no roaches and stuff. And since I have no garden my house don't usually attract bugs. I did what>>315181said and it worked, at least for a while. I wouldn't likely succeed in catching them, they are very sneaky, once they see me they run away. I could kill them, but it would be a mess, and I don't want to deal with corpses again. That said, I guess I'll get some screens.

Try getting humane traps, buy some food and set it inside then leave it out over night. You catch them, take them to the shelter, and you don't have to deal with them anymore. Screens or not, they could still make a lot of noise outside if they decided to meow or get into a fight. It's better to attempt catching them and just take them to your local shelter.
