Is it possible to tame a cooper's hawk? I have herd of people who are able to raise a baby and get it to do thing for it. Like get a pencil. Has anyone here herd of taming one?

Raptors are not social animals (with the exception of a harris' hawk). They will not love you, and have no reason to. No, they are not "tame." You can use them for falconry and enjoy their partnership on that, but that is as deep of a bond as you will be able to form. You'd need a falconry license to keep any raptor legally.

Even falconers do not tame their birds.
They are kept in a constant state of near-hunger so that they will be aggressive for the hunt.

Also, why the hell do people look at beautiful and mighty predators and think "Wow, I want one to retrieve pencils for me"? Raptors are made to kill. That is all. To deny them of that would just be keeping one a prisoner. They can be dangerous, you need to show them WHY they shouldn't just fly away from you or rip your eyes out, and they're solitary animals in the wild-- therefore, no "make friends" instincts. The only way I condone keeping these being kept privately is if they can't be released to the wild due to health/imprinting reasons, or if they're being used by responsible falconers.
