Looks like an American Shorthair to me.

The different-colored eyes are rare. Blue eyes are relatively rare in cats and when a white cat that isn't part Siamese has blue eyes, that cat will almost always be deaf. One blue eye = deaf on that side.

Yup. Here's my cat - she's been deaf as a post since the day she was born.

Of course, she'll be 21 in July, so I guess she didn't miss it all that much...
