This behavior has nothing to do with puberty. Oh, and congratulations on having such a pretty puppy. She actually sounds pretty well-behaved, too. You don't need bittering agents to curb her play-biting - when you put a dog on its back, it is in a very vulnerable position. If you have ever seen 2 puppies play, when one is on the back, the other will often pounce. The puppy lying on the back will then bite and kick - this behavior may save its life "in the wild" if it ever gets into a fight and ends up on the back. Don't touch your dog near her belly while lying on her back, unless she is calm or sleepy. As for training, please read as much as you can from quality sources - your knowledge will rub off on her and you will both have a happier life together. Take this opportunity to teach yourself as much as you can, because there is lots to learn, and lots of rewards for the both of you.
