>>298048 Give reasons why humans are more valuable than animals--Is it because we're more intelligent, no. Humans are intelligent on a human scale, animals are intelligent on their own scale: An animal can survive without any tools, using wit and instinct and knowledge of woods, edible foods, etc, said animal might not be on par with human mentally and consciously, but if a human was to be judged on an animal's scale of intelligence, we'd be just as stupid as an animal judged on a human's scale of intelligence.
However, if it was between me and any animal, or another human and almost any animal I would save myself or the other human. Why? Not because humans are better than any other species, but because we have something vital called species bias, it was necessary in our evolution a species to care more for our own kind, than other animals.
Does that make us better? No. Does that mean anything at all will care when the human race dies out? Not likely.
We're just animals too.
