nothing much, just that she had them.
AFTERMATH POST:
So AFTER the vet visit today, I'm finding out a bunch of things. One she has an oral infection thats inflaming the whole area so I "get to" give her antibiotics in liquid form down her mouth.
Let's just say I'm calling my neighbor in to help w/ that one. Putting my fingers on her anywhere near her mouth right now = hiss + resistance (she actually really good natured in general, so I know it hurts bad).
Also is 16 and seems to be developing kidney issues (typical in older cats, to be expected). Very dehydrated and lost half a pound in two days because she doesn't wanna open/use her mouth at all.
She got fluids, a B12 vitamin shot, and now has antibiotics to last a week. X-rays were taken, bloodwork being done, and intravenous fluids were given for hydration.
All said and done, $384 for a sixteen-year-old indoor cat I've known most of my life for this visit (she had one for getting her hyperthyroidism blood levels checked to get her medication refilled three days ago, that was $145). And it's not like I'm rich, not starving, but I think this is worth it.
She's been there for me so hey, all good. Pic is her in late 1992 or early 1993.
