I'm not gonna rage at this comment, because I understand where you're coming from: I might have sounded like some idiot from PETA or some shit.
Thus, let me clarify what I meant:
If you've got a problem with a household pest, you get rid of it. You kill flies, you kill ants, you kill cockroaches. Some people kill spiders because they're scared of them, I usually let them be or catch them and throw them out, depends on where I find them.
What I meant was, that it isn't normal to >>grab a rolled up newspaper and beat it like an angry god when encountering a moth. If you're too lazy or too grossed out by it to catch and release it instead of killing it, then you have my sympathy, but I wouldn't call you insane just yet. If however, you react in a way described about (as in going amuck), then there's something wrong with you. I don't so much have a problem with an animal (however beautiful it may be) getting killed, as I rage at you being a sorry-ass motherfucker.
