whats in this mutt saiko_shounen !axVm6.eK82
I found a pic of a dog on /b/ that had many similarities to my dog, that passed away recently.
The pound said he was a collie mix, but I'm not so sure - can anyone help me out please? My dog on right (still a puppy really)

I can definitely see some border collie in him.

That said, I don't see any of the dog on the left in him. Remember, Coat markings and pose =/= same breed.

Well, I should hope there is dog food followed with the GI tract and many other organs. Also you might want to check for worms, that panting there could be a sign of worms.

He was very high energy. I figured border collie too. He liked to chase/herd cats and the other dogs. He had a plush coat and no musky dog smell. We live in the south so he was often panting - he stopped in winter ( after we took him to the vet - of course)

Thanks, we really miss him. I was trying the find a dog type of similar size and temperament for the future when we are ready to get a new puppy. It's been hard - didn't help that we lost him Christmas morning..

Def. a shepherd mix. Def. NOT a collie mix (the nose would be longer and flatter). I'm thinking border collie b/c of the coat and nose, but the tail shouldn't be that gay (that's a technical term, get your minds out of the gutter) if it's a purebred. Could have Sheltie or Aussie shepherd mixed in.

Do not try to immediately replace a beloved pet with an attempt at a carbon copy. Give yourself time to heal and then find a pet whose personality suits you.

I would guess American Eskimo(for the trail and amount of white) crossed with Border Collie(for the markings, fur and behavior) or MAYBE Australian Shepherd for the muzzle, or maybe Samoyed instead of American Eskimo, and that would explain the muzzle, depending on his size but I think American Eskimos are much more common than Samoyeds. Atleast they are around here.
