Flies in my room Anonymous
About two weeks ago, there were every night some little flies causing a nuisance in my room, I just killed every fly that came near to me. A few days later, I wondered why the amount of flies didn't decrease, I thought it might have been the trash can attracting those things because I threw some apples away. So I emptied my trash can but.. The flies still didn’t leave. One night I looked up at the corner of my ceiling and noticed that in every fucking corner of my ceiling where a group of little flies, there was unfortunately no bugkillerspray at home so I had to stay in my room for one night (couldn’t sleep because I knew they were able to go through the holes in my mosquito-net, I had the irrational thought that they would go in my nose and ears and lay eggs). The next morning I looked up at the corners of my ceiling but they weren’t there, I had no idea where they stayed during the day so I waited till night ( I already bought spray), they came, I killed them all successfully, opened the window next morning to let survivors escape. Mission accomplished.
Just as I thought they would never come back anymore, just a while ago there were some flies around me, killed them and looked up at the corners of my ceiling. Gawd…They came back… And I didn’t threw anything organic in my trash can (neither did I took sweet drinks to my room). Killed them with spray and watched one from nearby, it didn’t look like the flies from two weeks ago. Weird. And the only cause I can come up with, is that they felt attracted to the dead flies sticking on my ceiling… I really want to get rid of flies in my room in the time I live here.

So. What do you think about this?
(Excuse me, if there are any spelling/grammar mistakes)

Clean your room. Clean your attic (or whatever's on the floor above you). Might be a dead squirrel up there or maybe someone left some food out.

OP here. My room is actually quite clean(and relatively big but still easy to keep clean) and the house is nearly new (2006 build). Above me is nothing more than an empty balcony.

OP again. Inb4 bad hygiene, I'm clean as well and never attract any flies unless I have food or sweet drinks with me. But, I do attract alot of mosquito's. Must be the tasty blood or something.

Nah, I don't live in a wooden house, neither do I have alot of books or paper, as for the furniture they're all new. The other rooms in the house don't seem to have this flyproblem.

Post pics of the flies, then. And give us more information.

What information? Modern newbuild Dutch squarish terraced-house(corner)? No pets?

Never mind this thread, I will ask my neighbour for some help.
