There are different textures, but they feel wonderful, due to the fact that there only a very fine layer of hair on their bodies, concentrated at certain points. There are a few that still carry Rex hair, and that feels amazingly soft, too.
From their description, Kohonas remind me of "sticky balds."
I wouldn't say that they are terrifying so much as they make you terrified for them. They look more delicate than normal kittens. Like a baby bird.
Pic related, it's some of the young ones from our very first litter.

The coloration in your picture is called a Van. Same gene as mittens and every other white spot, just a different concentration. To get those, both parents must have white-spotting. There's actually a breed called the Turkish Van where all the cats look like that. I hear they have good personalities, and an unusual attraction to water. I don't own any, though.
Also, is that a lilac behind her? You don't see that color very much in Sphynx, so we've been trying to breed that into our lines. I really like it.
I agree, though. All colors of cats are beautiful. My favorite that I have is the cinnamon marble, but I can only imagine how pretty a lilac marble would be.
I don't know if I agree with what those people are doing, either. It's a tricky subject. You could always put an ad out if you had one you couldn't keep, but that doesn't always work.
>>Sorry to get off he subject. :P
Sorry to derail your topic with my Sphynx. :p
