Fur Dyeing Anomynous
So what does /an/ think of dying a pet's fur? In my opinion, there's just something really unsettling about it, even if it doesn't hurt the dogs themselves.

It irritates them a lot at first.

maybe their buddies will bite them to death too.

It's just as unsettling as seeing a human with bright pink hair. ~shrug~

What a ridiculous thought! I've never seen an animal dyed. I think it's rude not to get their consent, but if it doesn't hurt them.... I guess nothing's wrong with it. Pointless though. Not very nice.

Um...

It doesn't bother them any more than regular grooming procedures... in fact it's surely safer than clipping or shaving a dog, especially if you're a grooming noob. When I worked at Petco we'd have a groomer fuck up in slice a dog every month or so (surprise!)

On the other hand, even though it's harmless it's fucking tacky as shit. Anyone seriously considering dying their peekapomapoodoodle needs a first class ticket to Auschwitz.

I've never dyed my dog's fur before, though I have died my rat green and gave him a mohawk.

He loved it.

As long as you use vegetable dyes and not permanent ones that can do harm if you get them into their eyes.

I agree though, shit is tacky as hell. I'm sure as hell not offering it once I get my own grooming business set up.

That show that's like project runway, but for dogs, makes me rage. Those animals looks so ugly after they get done with them.
