So /an/,
I found this kitten in my yard. My Jack Russell had it cornered and just sat there barking at it, scaring it to death.
It's really skinny, which isn't unusual for a stray.
I'm guessing it's stray because one of her eyes is pretty messed up, and it LOOKS like she was hit in that side of her head. The other eye had something wrong with its second eyelid (I think that's the correct name for it. Not sure.) She can still see, but I don't know how well.
My mom says that she probably has distemper because she was sneezing human sized amounts of green mucus, however, I looked up the symptoms for feline distemper and they didn't mention the mucus thing.
I've been feeding her chicken and Raw, straight from the tit Cow milk, as well as water when she wants it. She seems to be eating fine, but in the day that I've had her, she hasn't pooped. Which probably isn't a big deal, since I know that the second I let her out of her pet cage to play, she'll take a huge dump on my leg or something. Animals are just mean like that.
She seems to have worms too, since her belly kinda swells up after she eats. I'm not very concerned about the worms though, since my dog had them when she was a puppy, and I've been told that almost every kitten or puppy has worms.
Do you think it'll be okay, /an/? What do you think is up with the mucus? Any advice?
Pic related, it's her. :3
Oh, and a video.

Same. She's cute. Post updates.

This is not true. A healthy animal will not have worms, which is why there are treatments for it. Is it common? Yes, especially among stray animals, because they've been feeding off of who knows what. But it is not a problem that will clear up on its own.

VET ASAP
If you care about the cat and want to keep it. Otherwise, take it to a shelter or rescue.

I'm unsure how pure cows milk is any different from regular store-bought cow's milk, but I know cats are lactose-intolerant and it's unhealthy for them to drink; particularly growing kittens. It messes up their digestion by a lot. Which may or may not be a factor in your kitten not shitting; hell, when my kitten managed to hijack some milk from my cereal bowl, he just threw up a lot.
Also, vet indeed. Save up money, take it to the vet.

sounds like this kitty has an upper respiratory infection. vet, definitely. could be a symptom of something much more serious like leukemia(sp?)

worms are common for any animal that goes outside as they can be contracted via fleabite. be careful, OP, you can get them too, rather easily. dont let her share a dish with any other pet or they may contract worms too. not to mention that its gross when worms are falling out of your cats ass all over the floor and shit.

vet, vet, vet. good luck. if you take her in and explain the circumstances they may even set you up with a deal. thats what i did with my cat and they said because our local shelters were over crowded that since i was adopting him they would worm him, vaccinate him, run all the blood tests, and fix him for 50 dollars. normally all that costs around 250 and up.

Hey awesome kitten you found there :D

Hope it turns out well, but get those worms checked, my cats (2) had worms and they had constant diarrhea until I found out how to treat it, so that should be the first priority. Shitty thing is that you'll probably need a recipe from your vet before you can buy the pills, so you can't just stroll into the pharmacy and get them.
