Danios Anonymous
Okay, so I know most danios are more comfortable when kept in school of six or more - what if the school are mixed species or morph? I'm not thinking about mixing in pearls or giants, but what about zebras/glofish/leopards/blues/goldens? What about longfins?

Weeeell, a store I worked at had zebras, longfin zebras, and longfin leopards in the same tank (dumb fucking idea if you were wondering) and they always seemed to school well together.

I've also kept white clouds and gold white clouds together, which all schooled like it was nothing.

So I'd say it'd be fine. Maybe someone else can back me up here or prove me wrong?

Get and breed glofish, then post pics of the mutated offspring.

Thank you. My concern isn't whether or not they'll get along in the same tank, I'm fairly certain they will, but whether or not they'll school together. (So they don't get stressed out and aggressive and such.)

I'd like to get Glofish, but the only nearby store that has them prices them at $12. Bit much for me, especially since I'm new to the hobby.

I had one of these, it lived for 13 years then committed suicide by leaping out of the tank.

I had a big male beta that killed himself by leaping out of the tank. . . Weird, looks like humans aren't original with their 'suicide' idea.

Chances are, they didn't know they'd die if they jumped out of the water.

They might school.

I used to have a lot of zebra danios, and then I had some rosy red feeders for one of my fish at the time, and they all schooled together. I think it's more relative to the size of fish...
