hay u guys.
so i might be getting a miniature daschund in the near future, and i wanna know anything important about them and how to train them properly. i know that i shouldn't let them jump off couches/beds cause they can break their backs, and that they like to dig. a lot.

it won't be my first dog, mind you, but my previous dogs weren't trained so i'm not quite sure how i should go about it.

anything else that /an/ can tell me about the little weenies? also, training tips?

dog training isn't as hard as it seems. i helped my friend train her wolf-hybrid. we used the reward as treat method. say "sit" and push her butt down. when she sits, give a treat. she'll eventually link the word sit w/ putting her butt down and receiving a treat. eventually work your way to where you only give her a treat every other time, use positive reinforcement as well(pat on the head, etc), and then every like five times. she'll eventually link the word sit, to sitting.
i'm sure there are a lot of people here that have more experience w/ dogs, but that's just my experience and it worked out well.
