Can anyone tell me what kind of animal made this print? This picture was taken near Grand Rapids, Michigan last summer. I was thinking a bear, but I don't know.

I don't even remember, it was awhile ago & I was just going through pictures today and saw it. But, a raccoon makes me happier than a bear. Thanks guys.

Gotta be a raccoon.

You'd have to go pretty far north in Michigan to see a bear, and even then it's a black bear. They can get mean and they can mess you up but you really have to do something stupid like punt a cub.

Although I've been hearing that people have spotted cougars around here.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it was a raccoon.

/x/ regular here, and with my years of experience in mythical creatures, I'd wager that the pawprint was made by the ancient Paraglax. It stands 4 feet high on its hind feet, only coming out when the suns of Murplin cross with the moon.

Seeing one will bring famine to your city, which I have unfortunately witnessed before. Heed caution.

Ignore this troll; that's plainly a Greater Ring-Necked Goonie Bird print.
The prints are all you typically see of them; when they detect a human approaching, they run in circles while making a distinctive "Goo-goo-goo" cry, constantly running faster until they run right up their own asses and vanish forever.
