>>234007 It was indeed a black brant that I was describing, but I lied about it being in my yard. Basically, I picked an odd NA bird and put it in the wrong habitat. The reasoning being that if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but is in the desert.. doesn't mean it isn't a duck. Or, in this case, a brant. You determined the bird despite it being in the wrong range.
So, psuedo-trolling-test passed, congratulations!
(By the way, if I did confirm it was this bird, the proper thing to do would be to tell me NOT to let my cat eat it, since, you know, its uncommon, especially in this area)
