>>181387 >>181399 The Finnish Spitz was bred specifically for it. They are used in hunting by letting one roam off on its own and then just home in on the barking and see what it's found. They are VERY yappy and pretty conversational in general; they produce a wide, expressive and amusing variety of sounds. Trying to teach one out of barking is pretty much futile. So not a indoor social dog, that one... As a matter of fact I knew a FS that knew how to say "Gimme!", "Huh?" and what sounded like "No no no" in Finnish... It always fit the situation, too. The "Huh?" usually included him tilting its head and looking generally confused. :D
