Hey, I figure I'd come here and ask for some opinions. Others here probably know more about avian (birds) then I do.

Well, Tango (my Blue-Headed Pionus) has recently begun having some very runny fecal matter, and I'm really worried. Saying "a bit worried" would be a huge understatement. Within the past few days, he also refused to eat his food, always demanding eating what I have or sunflower seeds from this treat bucket. Though, that may just be because he's a spoiled little guy; I've seen him going back to what he regularly eats.

So, what I'm trying to ask, is does anyone know if there's something seriously wrong with him? And, if you guys think he's just getting bored with eating the same old thing? I am planning on mixing fruits and veggies in with his next meals. Give him some variety, you know?

Also, before you say anything, this does happen when he eats fruit. But what scares me is he's eaten no fruit lately. And I am taking him to the vet this Friday (the 14th of November).

Whole Peanuts are not good for Parrots, because there is mould in the shell, which can be pretty bad for them.

Has he been eating alot of veggies and fruits? They can make his poo runny aswell.

He's a beautiful Pi, good luck with him!
Have you joined any Bird forums? they will be able to help alot more than 4chan!

here,

about the Peanut thing, I got more detail:

"The reason why shelled peanuts are so dangerous is that they can easily produce Aspergillus Fungus, a disease that will cause serious problems to your parrotÂ’s respiratory system. In addition, shelled peanuts can be toxic, as they produce aflatoxin, a powerful carcinogen (a substance that can produce cancer in animals)"

I did check out a few forums. Similar problems, were said to be caused by drinking more then eating. I figure I'm going to fill up his food dish to the top, and cut back on filling him with sunflower seeds and... pretty much whatever else he wants to eat.

I'll have to remember the bit about peanuts, though. He hasn't had any for a while (that picture is maybe... half a year old?), so I'll just remind myself next time I'm about to buy a big bag at PetsMart.

Not as much fruits or vegetables, though. Only this brand of bird food he always eats. It cots ten bucks a bag, he'd better eat it, hah.

Well, crap, I'm not giving I'm any more peanuts, then. That's scary, I wouldn't want that to happen...
