As for them being attracted to heat radiation I would have to say no. Like moths, these guys seemed to be attracted to bright light, so they would usually come out when I was in the dark and had my laptop on. But I would see them periododically during the day. I didn't try this, I can't kill any living thing, BUT, I did read that if you get a jumbo ziploc bag and put your monitor in there for a few days that should kill them. I also read having a sock or and old shirt soaked in insectecide would do the trick, but I am not sure if that would damage the screen. Either way, ignoring the problem won't help and it can only get worse.
