>> SCIENCE IS SIN Anonymous
Gravity: Doesn't exist. If items of mass had any impact of others, then mountains should have people orbiting them. Or the space shuttle in space should have the astronauts orbiting it. Of course, that's just the tip of the gravity myth. Think about it. Scientists want us to believe that the sun has a gravitation pull strong enough to keep a planet like neptune or pluto in orbit, but then it's not strong enough to keep the moon in orbit? Why is that? What I believe is going on here is this: These objects in space have yet to receive mans touch, and thus have no sin to weigh them down. This isn't the case for earth, where we see the impact of transfered sin to material objects. The more sin, the heavier something is.

Evolution: Very obvious, first of all we know that a "change in allele frequency" doesn't exist, and furthermore that humans cannot possible come from "Apelike" anscestors.

Global Warming: 30 years ago, evolutionists were saying "global cooling", they're just flip flopping again. They don't know what's going on with the climate. Reality is that it is quite stable, and has remained the same since the past 6000 years of its existance.

Plate Techonics: Continents do not move. The earth has only been in existance for roughly 6000 years, this is another one of the "package theories" that evolutionists try to have us believe. Its really simple. If you accept Evolution, then you must accept an old earth. If you accept an old earth, then you must accept an old universe. Before you know it, you're waste deep in nonsense without any empirical evidence to support any of it. You end up with this: (1)evolution-->(2)plate techtonics-->(3)big bang

Atomic Theory: We are simple unable to manipulate objects that are so small. Physics in of itself is a very sketchy field of "science", because its so uncertain of itself and always incapable of replicating their hypothesis or experimentation.

Hehe, christian people are funny. Yeah, especially you american redneck christians. Since you like taking everything to the word. How about this. Adam and Eve were our 'ancestors' right? So we all descended from them? Smells of incest to me. Jesus rose after three days? Hmmm. Some serious necromancy. Jesus is a zombie. GOD is necromancer lvl 5.

BTW, evolutionists have nothing to do with the subject of ecology and the environment.

And according to your, "weighed down by sin" theory, shouldn't newborn babies, who we all know were placed in the womb by God (He is a pimp after all) and not the monstrous practice us normal people know as sex, be floating out of their mother's uterus when they get born? And how about animals? I mean there are some remote areas in the world where man's sin has not been yet? Do you see floating elephants anywhere? Is that why birds can fly? They are actually floating and they just flap their wings to confuse us believers in science?

Face it, without science most of you people would have been dead, hell you wouldn't even be able to read the bible or post here. Internets and printing press are inventions of man. I didn't see the big guy in the sky snap his fingers and it all appeared.

Hay guys, you know Genesis can be interpreted as evolution, rite? Don't have to be an athiest to subscribe to the fact of evolution. It was just God's method of slowly forming us (which, of course, is but a blink of an eye for Him).

I myself teach the good word of Jesus in between digging up dinosaurs, and I fully subscribe to the fact of evolution. How's them apples?

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Going out on a limb, aren't you? Man, who had no life until he had the form of man, surely could not have evolved from one living creature to the next. The Bible tells us here that he was a living soul only once he was formed a man.

Yes, certain evolution is fact, like the many sub-species of animals we have in every climate around the world breeding off from another kind, but do you take the theory that one species evolves into a another and accept that as fact? An unobservable theory accepted as fact is the reason we have no many people believing in so many ridiculous beliefs.

If the meaning of the Bible has changed over time, why is that so? Why has the definition of sin changed?

We know this has happened, or the Old Testament would not be passed as archaic. Jesus did not die to change what is considered sin, only that we may be redeemed of it.

Isn't Christianity the Truth? The way God wants us to live? Why should it ever need to change?

The animal adapts to the new environment using genetic code that it already has. Relying on yet another concept, the earth being millions/billions of years old, you are trying to tell me that all this micro evolution stacks into macro evolution? Let me clarify:

" Dogs today come in all shapes and sizes, but scientists believe they evolved from just a handful of wolves tamed by humans living in or near China less than 15,000 years ago." - By Christine McGourty (BBC science correspondent)

I'm glad we substantially traced the existence of the various types of dogs and have discovered that dogs have in fact evolved.... from dogs.
If a dog lives in an arid climate, its more likely to grow shorter fur, or lose the fur altogether. Its DNA isn't going to add a line on how to make feathers and hollow its bones so it can fly to a lusher, greener, environment.
>> Jason
>>163594
Hey you missed the paragraphs before that:

"No one has shown that DNA can come into existence by chance! It takes DNA to get DNA! In other words, there must already exist DNA to direct the formation of more DNA. Yes, it is true that the individual molecules which make up DNA have been shown to be able to come into existence by chance. But, it has never been shown that those individual molecules can come together into a sequence by chance to form the genetic code.
Recently, scientists have shown certain molecules coming into existence by chance that can mimic DNA in some respects, but these molecules are not as complex as DNA and they cannot fulfill all of the functions that only DNA and RNA can perform. Showing that these other molecules can come into existence by chance is not the same as showing DNA can come into existence by chance! In fact, as it has already been noted, no scientist anywhere has ever shown that the DNA molecule can originate by chance."

Your logic seems very weak to me. You say nature has obviously evolved because you see life around you. What if I saw people stranded on and island and say they obviously came from a plane crash. You have no way of proving "your plane" and are too biased against shipwrecks to consider that an alternative possibility.
>> Jason
>>163597
"How can you show that your religion is any more right that the ones we've already discarded?"
You said yourself those religions were discarded. They probably contradict science or some fact along the way that gives us evidence as to why they are false. It's not possible for anyone to prove that a creator or god doesn't exist. The Bible does nothing to contradict scientific fact, but only contradicts every other religion in saying that Jesus is Lord and has been resurrected by a force of higher existence that our minds have yet to (if ever) wrap physics and scientific law around.

Are you trying to tell us that God gave the crusaders his stamp of approval? I'm sorry, but you aren't looking deep enough yourself. There was a man named Jesus who came before any of those crusades. He didn't threaten people into believing God's will. Even though he was opposed to the promiscuous and the ungodly, he was a friend to all of them and talked on their level so they could understand and decide for themselves. The scripture has always said the same thing about evangelizing and always will.
Besides, what if God did command things that you didn't agree on? If you decide you don't like something he said, can you just think him out of existence?

It's that hard to understand, isn't it?

Lots of small changes in a species does make a new species. If you don't believe me, look:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciation

And if you don't believe wiki, then:
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html
If you don't believe that, you're up to your own research. But now you know where to start.

Furthermore, I notice you've chosen one of the most dynamic species we know of as some sort of proof that speciation is impossible. Not only this, but you've narrowed the timeline of evolution down to 15,000 years. Give it 15,000 more. Even if it takes 30,000... 300,000. It doesn't matter, that amount of time is an evolutionary pittance.

If you can't figure out how new, important traits can be introduced, expanded upon, and grow to define a creature... I don't know what to tell you. There is no microevolution, there is no macroevolution; it is all just evolution.

>Its DNA isn't going to add a line on how to make feathers and hollow its bones so it can fly to a lusher, greener, environment.

DEAR GOD THAT'S NOT HOW EVOLUTION WORKS.

>>163645
The article claims we have never observed DNA creation from base elements, then goes on to say that sort of coincidental creation is exceedingly rare. Why would anyone be surprised that we haven't seen it? To say that it is possible is enough. If an event happens, the probability of it occurring is unimportant.
>> Jason

Don't take my advice on how accurate the Bible is if I'm annoying to you. Go read up for yourself on the history of how it came to be.
I'm not thumping a Bible any more than you are thumping circular logic when you believe the earth is millions/billions of years old. Unless you yourself are millions of years old, I would rather believe in science than your science-fiction rock dating techniques:

I'm pretty sure an element the author wanted you to get out of the article was that since it never was observed, holding the theory as fact has taken you out of the science field and into a field of faith that Atheists commonly accuse Christians of mystically dabbling in.

We've never observed a star, planet, or moon being formed either. I mean, we've seen them in their various stages, but maybe, just maybe, God claps his hands at some point and in an instant they're fully developed. It is mere circumstance that haven't been around long enough to witness that.

If we can expand upon known processes to answer a question, whether or not it is observed, there is no need to go find other solutions until we have disproved our most obvious answer.
