Just saw this in the backyard, decided to take a snapshot. Is it a hawk or falcon? If so, what breed of hawk/falcon is it? For clarity, we live in MD. It's eating something...lord knows what, but it had feathers.

looks like a Peregrine falcon to me

I don't know what the crap is in that picture, but it wasn't storming at the time.
It's kind of creepy.

99% sure that's a Cooper's hawk.

Also, pic. y/n? It's hard to tell exactly from your picture, but if it's not a cooper's, it looks like an accipiter of some sort.

Thank you very much! I was looking at hawk types, and thought that it looked like the one I saw, but I didn't know what it was called. I'm pretty sure that's it. :D

DEFINITELY not a peregrine.

I think Anonymous is more concerned with identifying that ghost lightning instead of the bird.

As you can see by the lightening bolt in the upper right corner, its a Zapdos.

The breast and the tail makes it look like a Cooper's Hawk to me

Agreed

Hmm... its build looks more like a buteo to me... the chest is sort of puffed out more than an accipiter's would be. Red-Shouldered?
