What a beautiful animal, and great photograph!

By the power of google it is Gold dust day gecko.

thanks it took a while to find a suitable background to sit him on, and very slow movements so as not to scare him away these things are lightning fast and will be across a room and behind a cabinet in seconds.

I made some adjustments to this photo so the background is less annoying and the colors are brighter.

Wish i had wild geckos here. Fuckin' 40 degree weather.
Used to see them fucktons in hawaii. Cute little bastards.
Where do you live, OP?

Don't they live in Hawaii as well? Similar deal to Dendrobates Auratus (green poison dart frog that was introduced there and has reproduced there).

Same anole on my friends leg. I only have one decent lizard pic left after this. Here in Hawaii lizards are the Only thing between you and the cockroaches, termites, spiders, flies, ect. BTW what do you feed those peacock day geckos they look so similar maybe their diets are similar. I figure i should give the ones in my house a treat for a job well done.

I feed them pinky nail sized dubia roaches from my colony. I also feed them wax worms sometimes, but I'm going to be building a soldier fly breeder soon so I don't have to buy them any more.

African house gecko maybe.

OP could easily live in Florida, too. I saw this shit and even more because of all the crazy illegal pets people throw in the swamps.

We have allot of interesting creatures here in Hawaii. While I love having geckos in the house and occasionally getting pictures of them the critters you find in the ocean are far more interesting. This is a spanish dancer I found while I was snorkeling. They are a type of nudibranc that is unusual in that it can swim by undulating its body in a rhythmic pattern that resembles dancing.

Here is a shot of a jeweled hermit crab. They attach two species of anemones to their shell as protection from predators. As a note I would never live in Florida too humid and to many crazy people, though I do like visiting.
