Alright /an/, I know how you feel about exotic pets- But I'm asking from curiosity, not from 'OHGEEZ AM BUYING THIS SOON.'

I remember seeing some program on TV a while ago, a family own a bunch of Skunks. They were perfectly tame and cool, de-stink'd, and apparently, this wasn't rare. There's Skunk shows, even.

How common are skunks for pets? And how nice are they for pets?

Not very common.

They're probably pretty nice if you buy one from a breeder and not just..pick one out from the woods or something.

I'm in Cali, everything is banned. Ferrets, hedgehogs, Skunks...

But again, I'm not looking to adopt one.

There is a skunk that lives in m,y backyard under the bike shed. All the neighborhood cats and this skunk and a groundhog are pretty much the animal rulers of the street. One night I drove home from work and there was my cat sitting on my steps, 3 cats and a skunk sitting at the bottom of the steps looking up at him as he sat there looking royal. This skunk is very used to humans and will even saunter up to you if you are walking around at night, sniffer around your feet and walk on his merry way. The only thing it's ever sprayed is this dumb dog that tries to attack it every year.
