Anyone know what this is on my bunny? I just got her a week ago and it appears to have a red mark on the back of its head with some hair missing. I'm pretty sure it had it when I purchased it.

BUNNEH CANCER

probably a bite from another bunny that's healing, a better pic would help, my oldest girl has a few holes in her ears from the other girl when they fought, they are separated now of course.

if its not looking infected and looks like a wound and not a growth i wouldnt worry, but you can always take it to a vet, might be good to get a checkup and see when you should get them spayed/neutered, girls need to be spayed otherwise the risk of uterine cancer is extremely high

have you considered that your pet may have aids?

Don't know rabbits as well as I do rodents, but the first three things I think of when I see patches missing are barbering (overgrooming) which can be done by itself or another animal, ringworm (which would require treatment but isn't dangerous, only itchy and easily transmittable to humans), and fighting. Losing clumps of fur when fighting is most common among critters that can release their fur voluntarily when grabbed (eg. chinchillas). Don't know if rabbits have that ability. If it came from a cage with other rabbits, it's probably due to barbering. Keep an eye on it and if it is healing and fur growing back, nothing to worry about.

actually it might just be whats called a "hotspot"
its when a place on an animals skin burns and becomes itchy, which causes them to chew it off

Take it to the VET. Google vets who specialize in rabbits in your area.
Also, learn what is the best food for rabbits, how to littertrain it and rabbit proof your house. Soon enough, you will need to neuter/spay the bunny. Otherwise, it will destroy your house when it reaches sexual maturity not to mention, try to fuck you.

Is that celery in the pic? Cut it in pieces, otherwise he may choke with the strings.
