Sundew - one of the coolest plants ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPSOsbj97hM

unfortunately it doesn't show it eating anything. But those little pearls on the tips of the plant are sticky and will grab insects that come too close. Plant movement despite the lack of a nervous system. Very cool. Or extremely nerdy. One of the two.

also, the site mentioned, www.stockshot.nl has a lot of nice video clips of plants, pets, animals, landscapes, and a whole bunch of crap. Its not in english though.

Why is that surprising? Every plant moves based on dozens of tropist reactions every day all around you. I won't lie, carnivorous plants are dramatic about it but they sure as hell aren't the first.

Huh? The mechanics behind all plant movement is pretty interesting. I wasn't suggesting that only sundews move, it was just the one I was talking about.

Carnivourous plants actually use hydraulics to trigger and move - the VFT has been shown to have a water shunt comparable to an fountain pump when triggered
