Hey im new to this board, I just thought I would share that , I just got into gardening, but not in the sense o rowing flowers. My yard is pretty bad, years of not watering the grass and the hot South Florida sun has pretty much baked it dry, so I decided to see If I could propagate life there. I planted a tree in memory of my dog after he died and it has grown to be about 5 feet tall and has a foliage cover of about 7 feet. I dont have any pictures now but I could upload some, and about 2 weeks ago I planted some Hawaiian Gold Bamboo that has already grown about a foot and sprouted new shoots in the vicinity ( its a clumping type). I also planted tomato and cantaloupe and gourd seeds which have shot up and are about a foot high now. So I seem to have brought some life. Are there any other gardeners of the non-flower variety here? Pic is Hawaiin Golden bamboo, not mine though.
