Hrm... so we just gave both the cats a bath cuz they got in the trash. We first gave the kitten (about 4 months old)a bath, then the older one (3.5 years old). Now they're both hostile torward each other. What the hell? Theyre hissing as soon as they see each other. It's the same soap we used on the kitten a couple weeks ago, and last time nothing bad happened. but after the kitten was done, she was shaking. Could that have been from her getting riled up?

Have both cats kinda like, lost their scent or soemthing? It's weird.

they're probably blaming the other for the sudden bath.
"Asshole, you talked me into jumping in the trash with you, now I had to have a bath!"

"FUCK YOU! You're the one who dared me to jump in, in the first place!"

It could just be stress. I've had cats act kinda off for a day or two after a stressful situation.

gosh, either take it out of the bathroom and shut the door, or leave it in their with the door open so it can get food, it's not like they'll kill eachother

You seem to be forgetting that cats recognize each other based on smell. If the smell of either of the cats changes radically for some reason, the other one will assume that it's some unknown cat encroaching in its territory. It's comparable to your family member suddenly looking completely different, and being unable to ask if they're really them.

The cats will be fine as soon as they regain their natural smell. It may take up to a week, so be patient.

When I bathed my cats, they didnt seem to recognize eachother afterwards. i dont know if its because of teh scents or because they were all wet.
