>> Anonymous

>> Anonymous

CHECK THEM CHOMPERS

They are made of friendly and hueg.
>> Anonymous
Not unless they're abused.
My family's owned several large dogs and they've all been very friendly and protective.

All dogs 40 pounds and above are capable of killing you. It just depends if you raise it correctly or not. So generally you're fine. unless you're a complete moron.

even smaller dogs can kill a human, even if you treat them nice, some time ago a guy with epilepsy got a attack and fell to the floor and his dog smell the adrenalin and attack him by biting his throat until he died

My sister's dog is a Saint Bernard and Napolean Mastiff mix. My sister also has 4 kids and other animals. The dog loves all of them and they all love her. She's really just a big sweetie. Doesn't bark either. Though, sometimes I wish she would just to scare people when taking her out for a walk!

I wouldn't want a big dog. I've heard too many stories of good&hueg dogs turning bad&hueg on children. OUT OF THE BLUE!!!!11

I know, the owners were probably full of fail when they raised said dogs, but still :(

Attacks on children are rarely 'out of the blue'. They are almost universally the child's fault, or the result of negligence on the parent or caretaker's fault. In fact, a healthy dog will not attack anyone without some provocation, though that provocation to be so subtle (dogs are very sensitive body language and scent, two forms of communication we tend to neglect) that the untrained person may consider an attack unprovoked. We are sometimes so busy anthropomorphizing our pets that we forget that they are different species that operate on different rationales.

An untrained/young/hyperactive big dog is scary, only because they can knock you clear off your feet on accident. A well-behaved one is fine, and they're a hell of a lot more common than well-behaved small dogs.

Agreed. Terriers are sux.

Agreed. Small dogs are far more likely to be ill-behaved that large dogs. I was bit by a dog once, and it was a small dog. Large breed dogs I've known have been pretty sedate. More prone to drooling than biting.

Some breeds are scary, some are not. Pictured: not.

This is probably because most large breed owners train their dogs properly so that they will not be a danger to other people. Small dog owners are usually old people, high maintenance women, and fags who don't want to hurt wittle Fluffy's feewings by training him not to do thinks like bark, snap, randomly bite, etc. Although there are a few psycho dogs, it's really failure on the owner's part most of the time.

Collies are very docile.

May be true to some extent, but terriers weren't bred to have the puppy-like disposition of many, larger breeds.

Wiki has a decent article which touches on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog#Neoteny_in_the_rapid_evolution_of_diverse_dog_breeds
