I have an open 10 gallon tank.

What kind of reptile should I put in it?

Pic unrelated unless you imagine it empty..

Get a green iguana (a baby one, mind you). They make really cool pets if you handle them daily. I've gotten mine to were he just hangs on my shirt everywhere I go, even to the mall or at friend's houses. Can't wait till he gets bigger, their supposed to grow bigger than cats!

Iguanas are too big, you'd just be torturing it with a tiny cage like that unless you had hundreds of dollars to upgrade as it grew.

Get a gecko (whatever they sell in your area). They're neat-looking, active, and usually easy to care for.

Also good: Tarantulas or Emperor Scorpions

Uhh, no, DON'T get an iguana. A 10 gallon tank won't hold one for long, and they get HUGE and mean. Bigger than a cat? Try bigger than many dogs, with a whip-like tail that can cause major damage. They basically need a room of their own by the time they are full grown.

OP, I would suggest a leopard gecko, though a lot of people prefer them to be in 20 long tanks at adulthood. One of the coolest lizards I've handled, stays small-ish, and very mellow if handled.
