Puking cats Anonymous
Sup' /an/? I need some input; I just switched my cats from kitten to adult food, and now they are puking everywhere. It's been about 4 days, and they were fine until today. Any thoughts? Is this going to stop? Should I try a different food, or switch them back to their old food?

They are about a year old, I am not sure because I found them. I was using Purina One, Kitten Food, and now I am using IAMS. I tried Purina for adult cats, but I ditched it, because they would not eat it.

Pic related- Left is Chili, right is Dog, they are sister and brother.

Jesus dude, I said that they were about a year old. I don't know exactly how old, but I've had them for a year.

My best advice would be to get in contact with a vet.

Though both of my cats have upchucked a few times before, but that was 'cos they weren't chewing their food for some reason or another and barfed it up. If they're having the same problem that my cats occasionally have, try soaking the food to soften it up.

lol, puking everywhere huh? It's generally best to gradually switch from kitten food to adult food by mixing it bit by bit every day so they could learn to digest it properly, except this is always, of course, in theory - depending on how finicky your cat is, your cat WILL sit there and carefully pick out any "foreign matter" in its food bowl.

Switch them back to their old food for now, it's clearly waht their stomachs can only handle, at least at this point in time.

My cat is almost a year old now, and he pukes everytime I buy a different brand of food lol, it's like clockwork but then he gets used to it.

Listen to this (wo)man. Whether it's changing your cat from kitten food to adult, or changing brands, you have to do it gradually by mixing it so it doesn't upset their stomachs. Think of it as preventing damage to your carpet!

Animooted and definitely related lol.
