So I've got this aquarium outside thats been a potter(flowers and shit in it) for prolly over 3 years now but the plants in it have been dead for awhile now its just sitting outside wasting space and I have been thinking about getting it back into shape and putting some fish in it.

What I am hear for is to ask a few questions about how to take care of the aquarium not only while the fish are in it but how do I clean it to get it into shape to actually put fish into it lol.

Keep in mind I am completely new to a multi fish aquarium... I mean I've had a single fish in a bowl but I have never dealt with the pumps, lights, filters, ect nor do I know whats required and whats not.

/an/ halp me. Simple website link with the information if you'd prefer would suffice.

I suggest starting off with a small fresh water tank, and working you way up to salt. Salt is a vey expensive hobby and if you dont know what your doing its going to cost you a buddle.

When your starting a saltwater tank, make sure you cycle the tank for at least 3 weeks, any sort of fish you put in there will die very quickly. Live rock will speed up the cycle process.

I have both fresh and salt. I've had them for nearly 2 years now, and I was never a fish person, I have a friend that had one and its kind of addicting. Good luck with your fish, also I suggest getting puffers if you do go salt, they are fighters and even if you water isnt perfect they wont drop dead.
