How much does it normally cost to adopt a dog from a shelter? I'm just going to pick a dog from what I see at the shelter.
Most places in my area are between $100 and $300.Then again I live in a really fucking rich snobby kind of place.
>>274021I live in Waterford, Michigan. I'm thinking it's going to be $100 to $150-ish.
OP pic is awesome
Depends on where you live. I am assuming they will give you a dog that's already fixed, so it will save money on the surgery. There's also the possibility of getting a dog from a rescue, most breeds will have groups that rescue specific breeds.
Around here it's 75. Includes micro-chipping, shot, and spay/neuter.
In any case, it always brings me a good feeling that lots of people in /an/ are willing to adopt from shelters.
My local humane society ranges from $45 to $160, depending on breed and age. The last time I adopted a dog, it was from a county pound, and it was a large boxer mix - $75.
>>274029Same here when I got my Pom in South Chicagoland. Although it seems if you go to a specialized place like a greyhound rescue you will pay more.
