So I just discovered some stray cats living underneath our shed. There's a small hole under there that we never bothered to patch up. Anyways there's a mommy cat and like 3 or 4 kittens, all really young.

I put out some food, water, milk, etc. The mom was the only one that ate any food, and then she went back in the hole. All of them are really scared of me though and run back under the hole when they see me.

What should I do? I don't want to get rabies or anything, but I might not mind keeping them if my mom allows it. What procedure must I go though to make them mine?

Sorry, can't get pics of them, I don't have a camera.

If they come out occasionally, build something that could allow you to capture one, in the style of a hendheld net. It's simple and gets the job done. Fuck slowly gaining their trust.

anon is right, 80% of kitties are lactose intolerant. Give them some catfood and water.
