While the mouse is away the cat will play - in a bright red fur engine, complete with moving ladder.

These are the latest must-have gifts for the feline in your life.
The flat-pack cardboard boxes, which include a fire engine, pet fighter aeroplane and a green Panzer tank, are part of the Cat Playhouse range which goes on sale today.

Designed by east London-based company Suck UK, you can now let your moggie pretend they're driving a heavy duty machine.
According to the firm, which is now in its ninth year, 'cats love to play in cardboard boxes and these are just about the most fun cardboard boxes you will find'. Fair enough.

The inspiration for the folded cat-outs came when Suck UK's joint managing director, Jude Biddulph, moved home.
The designer, 34, said: 'I bought a cat about eight or nine months ago and I was moving house.

'I found the cat kept jumping inside the cardboard boxes. We thought it would be a good idea to incorporate what it was doing naturally with something that is visually impressive.'

My cat seriously couldn't give a flying fuck if the box it's playing in is shaped like a fire truck or is just a regular box with a hole in the side. Drop a of any size larger then my cat, if it's a big one punch a couple 4 inch square holes in it for good measure, drop in some catnip, and my cats are entertained for hours :)
