If this is not a troll, definitely let it go. I'm studing to become a chiroptologist (bat scientist ftw)! Bats are:
1.) Illegal to keep as pets unless you have a zoological society license or rescuer/rehabilitation license. 2.) Less than 1% of bats in the world carry rabies. Your chances are better of being bitten by a rabid dog than a rabid bat. Also, only one person, on average, dies of rabies in the USA per year. 3.) Bats eat between 3,000-6,000 pesky insects EVERY night. They also pollinate plants and spread seeds. They're very important to the ecosystem.
Let the bat go. They're immensely intelligent little critters, very closely related to primates. =]
