My cat spent last night outside. She does that from time to time, and always comes back the next morning before I leave for school. Well, when she didn't come back in the morning I started to get kind of worried, but didn't think much of it. Well, finally about an hour ago I was like WHERE IS SHE and I went outside and called her for like 15 minutes and she finally comes to me...when she gets to me, I notice she's trying to meow, but can't...it's like a half-hearted, raspy, hardly there meow. I pick her up and she's trembling, disorientated, weak, and her fur is all bleh (it's usually really smooth and soft). Usually when I pick her up, she kind of moves around to find a comfortable position, but she was like a rag doll and didn't move at all when I picked her up (except for the shaking). So, I assume she's just dehydrated and go fix her a big bowl of water...but she won't drink any of it. She won't even eat any treats, which is really unlike her. She's not being herself at all, and she's acting really uncomfortable. I'm SOOO worried, I thought for sure it was just dehydration but if that were the case, she'd definitely drink something, right? I mean, it's instinct. I'm thinking maybe she got into something poisonous. I don't know. She hasn't drank, ate, or used the bathroom since coming in.

Is there ANYTHING I can do for her? Besides wait till morning to bring her to the vet?

just make her a warm spot to stay in and keep water and food nearby, and wait for the vet to open, sorry OP =(

check online and phone books for emergency animal places that might be around your area, that are open 24

I really hope your cat has not been poisoned somehow. Take a look at this reference and then at your cat.

You said she's trembling, disoriented, and refuses food or water. Have you checked for any bleeding, swelling, or sensitivity to any certain area? Try not to read too far into her symptoms. Don't make yourself panicked on what she may or may not have had happen to her.

As this person said - keep her warm, have fresh water available at all times, and try to keep her as calm as possible. If you can contact a 24-hour vet in your area, this is inarguably the best thing to do. If not, start calling around about an hour before a veterinary office says it actually opens.

I love how the rest of you failed to notice the time OP posted. First replier and myself posted pretty quick, but the rest of you are just a wee bit late.

Considering that it's a good ... fifteen hours later, give or take, let's just hope that OP not yet replying means that kitty is at a vet's, hopefully recovering from whatever may have happened.

First of all, run in front of a truck. Why would you come to 4chan for veterinary advice? Whats your IQ? 43?
