>>300007 Cats have always survived off of very meager portions of food. Rats, rabbits, birds, lizards, very small animals. None of those gives a cat everything it needs in it's diet, but its enough to survive day to day. In the present, cats can live up to 20 if they're taken care of and fed the proper diet. In the past, when cats were wild, or even today with feral cats, they are lucky to see 7 years, because they lack the nutrients that's in catfood. Ontop of that, poor grooming cuts down the life span too. So do parasites, that we humans get rid of for them.
So, unless OP has the natural diet of a cat laying around the house, I'd say the only food to ever feed a pet cat is meat (cooked, as little grease as possible), eggs(cooked as well), and rice. If OP has lamb, that would be the best thing to feed the cat.
