hello /an/, let me tell you a story.

one day i get a phonecall from the humane society, they have 1 day old puppies whose mommy left them. i decided to generously give them a home until they were old enough to be adopted from the shelter, but i'll get to that later.

waiting in the back room of the shelter, i hear the most ungodly screaming which i assumed was a dying cat. no, no this was louder. the shelter vet came out with the two ugliest, loudest, wrinkliest creatures i had ever seen. after bringing them home, they finally went to sleep.

the next 2 weeks were the longest weeks of my life. bottle feeding every 2 hours, making them go potty, constantly checking the temperature, etc.

after about that time, the girl puppy (now named Ally) opened her eyes.

after another week they were 3 weeks old, and finally starting to seem like real puppies. Ally progressed much faster than the boy (named Z) did, probably because he was the runt of the litter. Z didn't quite know how to play yet, so Ally could only begin to play with cat toys (really.) and my hands.
