OK guys, my dad stayed home while the rest of my family went to Michigan, and Wednesday morning he accidentally let my orange tabby outside. Normally he comes back before dark, but he didn't. Since I came back on Sunday I have made significant efforts to recover him (posters, fliers, etc.) all to no avail. Just tonight myself and several of my friends heard sounds that sounded like him coming from one of our neighbor's houses, but as it is almost 9:00 at night, I do not want to venture into their house. What does /an/ think I should do? Also, I live in Southern CA and our neighborhood does occasionally get coyotes, so we have presumed him dead, but we are still somewhat hopeful. pic unrelated
Leave food out and see if he takes the bait?
>>136489tried it, I think he might be trapped somewhere or up a tree and afraid to come down. He normally comes right away whenever i shake a box of treats.
>>136491I've personally never seen a cat's skeleton stuck up in a tree. Trust me, if he's desperate, he'll come down.
cmon, any other suggestions?
if you're sure you hear your cat, knock on the door.Otherwise, wait till the next day and ask.
