Beautiful! Is it's skin really sensitive? I'm curious about it's characteristics as far as unique maintenance. I'd like to have one I think.

That's what my dog is :)
She looks quite a bit different (almost like she has some Collie in her) but I love the combination.

I dont have pics but my neighbor has a german shepard/collie, and when i worked in a kennel ive seen a german shepard/basset hound a golden retriever/ basset hound (they look like they normally do but they have corgi like legs. I also had my hand bitten through by a chow chow german shepard mix.

I want one. I wonder if the border collie mix still has the insane energy that border collies usually have. (since that's what's been keeping me from owning one)

I've owned a Border/Lab mix.
Essentially, they have the energy of a Border collie (sorry) and have the love of water, fetching and food that Labs have.

So what you've got is a Lab that never gets tired and is wired almost 24/7. A joy to have really, assuming you can give it enough attention.

We adopted Sammy (our cross) from a friend who didn't have a lot of time for her, and he said he would often just run uncontrolably in the house, and knocking things over and other neurotic behavior, so I wouldn't get one if you don't think you can let it run free for fetch or whatever at a local park twice a day. A simple walk doesn't seem to cut it with these guys:)

That is definately an australian shepherd mix, not german.

Anyone have a pic of Dalmatian/Malamute?

When we bought the dal we mentioned to the breeder that we owned a malamute. He told us that we better have one of them desexed cause their pups will be... Weird lookin...

lol breeds of dog are a product unnatural practices, your point?

OMG! My two favourites in one! Have to have one!

Which is funny because Puggles are Pug/Beagles, not Pug/Bassets.

is it possible to crossbreed a great dane and Taco Bell Mascot dog?
>> Gingitsune
>>43081
You would have to make sure that the bitch was the great dane and the sire was the chiuahau, otherwise given anatomy it wouldn't happen...and even then there would need to be human assistance most likely.
>> Gingitsune
Uh...also its it ok to use that particular word in reference to a breedable/breeding female dog on this board...since it does actually context to something?
...or is that a no no
>> tigerfeather
>>43081
Artificial insemination. And it's done in breeding circles.
