That's a pretty unfortunate deer. I'm glad that I am not that deer.
>> Anonymous
I am also glad I am not that deer. Taly-ho.
>> Anonymous
correct name for it would be a caribou.

but i'm wondering how it got like that.
did it just freeze there and something came along and ate it? and if that happened it would probably have fallen over.
maybe someone found it like that and decided to prop it up.

the deer asploded

thats in sweden
so its probly santas reindeer, not a deer or coirbu
>> Anonymous
looks like it got stuck and froze. i don't see how it would have gotten stuck but the actual freezing in place part is pretty logical. of course any dead animal will instantly become food so probably birds, raccoons, and kangaroos have been along and picking at the carcass.

Yeah, it's definitely Sweden.
I can tell from some of the snow and from seeing quite a few Sweden in my life.

The Swedish stole it from Finland.

Actually it's more the other way round: all the caribou are reindeer, but not all reindeer are caribou.

I didn't know Sweden was a part of Finland. The more you learn...

It's more like Finland is really a part of Sweden. They're still desperately trying to break loose with their strange language, metal bands and saunas, but we are superior. All Fins are forced to study Swedish in school. Owned.

how is finnish in the same language group as hungarian?
>> Anonymous
>>128407
both languages are ugly

>>128407

after the ice age the group of people there split, one left north, the other south, both groups had the same original language

Modern Finns are actually from the same population of people as Germans. They adopted the local language when they moved northwards into Finland. That's why Finnish still has several virtually unchanged old Germanic words.

>>128403
Finns learn the Finnish dialect of Swedish, which has been spoken in Finnish for at least a millenia, and is barely even understood in Sweden. The same way Finnish has been spoken in different parts of Sweden for ages, but you still refuse to teach to your children. I think somebody's being a sore loser...

Fish have fins, you should know this, what with posting in /an/ and all. We are Finns.

If there'd been enough snow on the road. The thing could have been entombed under a big pile of snow as a plow came along. Without air or balance it could have easily died before it could dig it's way out. Not to mention it could have been hit by said plow in the process.

Genetically Finns are a mutt race from a fuckload of tribes. I know this by being a Finn and having seen quite a few Finns in my life. Also it R a fact and I know this because of my learnings. True, there is some minor relation to Germans but more to Swedes, Russians and Estonians. What a surprise, we're related to our neighbours. But yeah, there were a lot of mixing up happening during some few millenia when the tribes roamed but I think the Germanic words are more because of the good relationship Finns and Germans had for centuries during Swedish rule, there was a lot of commerce going on, too. I think the blood relations were more in the noble houses...

About the people in Finland: There is evidence showing that Finland was inhabited already about a 130 000 years ago by Hunter-Gatherers. So that's it with the relations to Swedes or other nations. Naturaly there are some links between tribes around the northern europe, but that doesn't count.
About the language: It is told in the internets that the finno-ugric language has been spoken in Finland from Stone Age

Yeah, but those guys were Sámi folk. We're a bit like Brits in the way that we've had several tribes inhabiting the land over time. And language does not mean similar genetics. Genetically we Finns aren't really that closely related Hungary...
>> Anonymous
Wow. With all this talk of the genetic and linguistic difference between Lapps and other Scandinavians, I thought I was in /mu/ for a second.

>>129022
lol wut? Those were Neanderthals living here before the ice age and they have nothing to do with modern Finns. Finns ARE closely related to their neighbours.
>> Anonymous
>>129092

there are still plenty of neanderthals living in sweden today

Gee, you don't suppose that the old Germanic tribes might have migrated to Sweden and Estonia too, and not just exclusively to Finland? Nah, can't be. Swedes and Estonians couldn't have come from elsewhere! They must have sprouted out of the ground like mushrooms, same as Finns. Nope, definitely no relation to those filthy Krauts here!
