Fleas Anonymous
My cat has fleas,
While we're treating her for the fleas, her main problem is the itching; she often scratches herself until she bleeds.
Suggestions/remedies?

Mild dish soap bath will kill some of the fleas on her skin and probably alleviate some of the itching. Rinse her well. If you're using Advantage or the like from the vet (the kind placed on her neck) you need to wait a bit for it to go into her bloodstream, you don't wanna rinse off the treatment.
Hopefully you're not using some shit from the grocery store to treat the fleas, that stuff is highly toxic and can make her worse off than the fleas have.

How fashionable.
And more humane than just having them removed.

they sell shampoo at the pet store that not only kill fleas, but its also for Flea bight Dermatitis (witch is what your cat is suffering from) also, what are you using as a preventative? a lot of flea preventatives are starting to not work due to fleas growing immune to the products, i suggest using a brand called "Revolution" i have had GREAT luck w/ this treatment! good luck on your Kittie, fleas are a HORRIBLE infestation to have to deal w/!
