Horses actually also have rectangular pupils, but they're hard to see because the eye is so dark. In fact it's damn hard to even find a photo where the pupil is clearly visible.

Monochromatic, probably. Or do they see blue and yellow? I'm not entirely sure.

The reason why goats have rectangular pupils is the same as why cats and crocs have slit pupils. It enables them to see clearly in both brightly lit and dark conditions. Of course why they are horizontal instead of vertical... who knows?

where do goats come from?
>> Anonymous
>>171598
Well, those eyes actually fit the cuttlefish. They don't look right on a mammal.
>> Anonymous
>>171717
Goats need wide horizontal view to allow them to see their predators, so they need those eyes.
>> Anonymous
I love goat eyes. They look evil but most goats are really nice.

Horses also have vertically slit pupils for the same reason. Though it is much harder to see since their iris is often quite dark.

Most probably due to the position of the eyes in the horse's head. Cat eyes are both in front of the head, horse eyes are at opposite sides.

Oh, and nice GET.
