What's something unique that your cat does that really makes them special to you?

I have two cats. Sammi is older one and is pushing thirteen. She likes to model for my camera. ( Pic related ) Whenever I pull my camera out she jumps over to me and starts purring. Also, her voice never developed so she has the tiniest little, airy meow. She's the ruler of this household.

Rin, my younger one ( coming up on a year in May ) is a ninja and a spy. She likes to peek out windows and jump on my finace and bat his glasses off his face before making her escape.

This is the younger one keeping an eye out for enemy forces.

I have three cats.

Sammy, three years old, Maine Coone male, golden. Absolute pussy (lol see whut I did thar) but lovely. Never meows, instead has a sort of chirp. Will sit on your lap and lick your nose, or any bit of you that gets near enough when he's purring. Can has boks.

Jasper, grey, half Maine Coone half lolidunno (something short hair), about 13. More stand offish, laid back. Loves the nip. Will only sit on men and if you put your feet up, he will sit along your legs, facing your feet. That is that only way he will do it. Likes being stroked but dislikes having his tummy tickled.

Izzy, grey/brown Maine Coone female, Sammys half-sister (same father). Small, fluffy, sweet, bright eyed mass murderer. Pretty much single handedly responsible for ending the entire vole community around these parts and has the ability to make pigeons explode at will. Has about five families. We see her maybe once every three days to feed her. Does not get on with rest of the cats. Very intelligent - I have trained her to have a few tricks in what limited space we see her. Will accept strokes and tickles, but will not be picked up.

I have a cat, I call him Pete.

He's fucking lazy and lays on his back or side half of the day.
He's not even fat, just lazy.

When you poke him he gives you this fucking lazy "maww..." and when you poke him again and again he'll not enrage and try to bite and claw you, he will just SLOWLY move his paw without using his claws in your direction and try to "push" you.
Most of the time he doesn't even look at you while doing this, just stare out of the window or doing it with closed eyes.

Damn, he's lazy.
He also barely goes outside and if he does it he just sits himself into the sunlight and sleeps.

I thinking about buying a little bell and taping it to his tail so he can't remove it that easily.
Man, he'll be so upset he just HAS to move.

>>217435They sound awesome. Do you have any pics?

Rin is awesome. One of her favorite past times is jumping on our bookshelves in the computer room and knocking over all of our anime figures. Pic related : Here she's taken down Eva and an Angel.

>>217437Haha, your cat sounds like one our friend has. We poke her and she just chirps. When you pick her up and hold her she won't look at you... just the ground. She stares at the floor really hard and sometimes she'll timidly pat you with her paw and wiggle.

We've got two. O'Malley, the boy, is a complete fatass and quite the ladies' man. He's normally pretty nervous of male strangers, but any lady who comes into our home gets the gigolo treatment. He's a gray-brown tabby.

We have yet to decide if Nermal is Satan's daughter or merely possessed. She kills things like she gets paid for it and is prone to spazz attacks a la Exorcist. She's a blue patched tabby, with gray-blue stripes, white patches, and little orange blobs all over her. She is so very pretty. Cat pictured is her. But they have an old wives' tale about cats with her coloring: if there's an orange spot on their head, that's where the devil went in. If there's one on their tail, that's where he came back out. There is a spot on her head, none on her tail.

I have a white tabby (or siamese mix) with OCD. He will randomly choose to hang out somewhere, and if someone moves him, he will keep coming back. My friends have slapped at him but it won't stop him. He has the ability to teleport to said spot and prevent people from sitting down. Also, he will go through bouts of wanting some certain form of attention (like when I comb my hair, he demands to be combed). Sometimes he goes through a week where he constantly hops from the ground to my shoulder and tries to balance there while I walk around, and then the next week he doesn't do it at all. He randomly grabs my ass. He doesn't scratch or bite, but if he demands attention, he won't leave me alone until he gets it. Growing up, I never spoiled him or taught him to be an ass, but he started forming these behaviors as he got to about 4 years old. I'm not sure if a cat can be a womanizer, but I'm certainly his bitch now.

My cat bawws a whole lot for no reason. If you baww at her she bawwws back. This can go on for a while. She also vocalizes when purring and it makes this loud mechanical sounding noise. She will sit on the back of my chair and lick my head when I am trying to 4chan. She turns into mostly hair when it's cold.

I have a 7-month old cat that i named Yoshi.
She was an alley cat that i found dying in my backyard of a massive flea infection.
I took her and rode my bike all the way to the vet and saved her life. $100 bucks later they fully cured her and i ended up keeping her.
Anyway, ever since we deveolped a bond..
whenever i leave the room she cries for me to come back. And if i walk into a room she'd wait in front of the door till i come out.
But what makes her unique is that she loves to play fetch. She only plays with crumbled up paper and whenever she hears any kind of paper crumbling she'd run up to you at full force and eagerly wait for you to throw it
and would bring the paper back to you and everything .
It tripps my friends out everytime.

My cat, Curry (I got her from my azn neighbors when they had to move away). She's oddly dog-like since she actually seems to crave attention more than any other cat i've met. If I close my door she'll lay outside it and mew/cry until I let her in. Strangely enough, she's more social than my dog.

Aww, too bad. Your kitties sound cute.'

Another quirk about Sammi - her nose is pale but when she gets excited it goes either pink or bright red if you're playing with her. She's pretty mellow here.

Mine keeps making an absurd "shnuh" noise for no reason. It's sort of like a sneeze crossed with a snort, and he'll make one every couple minutes (though he can do several in a row if he... wants? needs to? feels like it?).
I've had him checked multiple times by different veterinarians, and he's supposedly in perfect health... but he just makes that noise really often.
It's quite a funny sound though, and I've grown used to him making it all the time.

Aside from that he's just a pretty standard Scottish fold.

Stewie: when he goes after a toy he always is far left of it and then jumps completely missing it.

Jackson: he has no claws so he will grip your arm and you can lift him like a weight.

Alex: he does a little praying motion before he jumps.

Left - middle - right

Sometimes when I am talking to someone while holding and petting my cat he will look at me and cover my mouth with his paw like he is telling me to be quiet.

My cat Deuce knocks on my door by ripping up the carpet in front of the door with her claws. The carpet is COMPLETELY ruined. She also taught this to our youngest, Kissa.

And my oldest cat Nuudeli is fat as hell, and she has the loudest purr in the world. Also she sometimes purrs for so long that she runs out of breath and coughs.

I have two cats, both male.

Ashley - He's about 20lb and love to lie on his back waiting for anyone to rub his belly (<-- crappy camera phone shot). Mornings, when he wants to be fed he will jump on the dresser and scratch the mirror with his paws making it bang into the wall.

Rhett - He's silent, except for grunting when he jumps up or down from somewhere. We will not drink from the water dish left for them. He loves the faucet and I started putting a bowl beside the sink in the bathroom.

Oscar likes to sleep spread eagle. Gets really pissed of you even touch him, and attacks you, because I used to let him maul me when he was a kitten and it didn't hurt. Likes to eat broccolis, peppers, mushrooms, pretty much any type of vegetable. Doesn't eat any part of the birds he kills. He just kills them because he can, wasteful bastard.

I always thought it was cool that cats are smart enough to figure out how to open the blinds and look out.

Never saw a dog do that.

I have one cat named Mimi, she's pushing on 12 or 13 I believe. She's not much of a cuddly cat, but when she is she's to die for. One thing she tends to do that's kind of weird is that she enjoys running around my room after she does her business. So much so that she ends up kicking the carpet under her litter pan all haywire because she leaps away so fast.

She also does this "Brr?!" thats so damn adorable.

>>217887
My dog does that all the time...it's kind of annoying sometimes, because his paws are a lot bigger than a cat's and he keeps destroying the blinds.

He also learned how to unlock and open the sliding door in my old house. That saved me on numerous occasions of being locked out. He always let me back in.

Don't have any cats, but my sister has one with some odd quirks.

My favorite one is when she decides to use the litter box. Instead of burying her poop, she'll turn her back to it and, with one paw out of the litter box, wave her paw in the air like she was burying something.

From left to right: Oed - polydactyl, with an extra tow on each paw. The extra claws on his front paws click when he walks so you can always hear him coming. For some reason he goes insane when I brush my teeth. Manual or electric, it doesn't matter. He's there, mewing and rubbing up against things and following me around. All I can think of is he thinks I must be purring furiously and in the far recesses of his tiny mind are some memories that loud purr = milk.

Jack - Fluffy rescue cat. Could go professional as a messeur/acupuncturist. He drools like hell when he purrs. His paws are hairy on the bottom, so when he jumps on a slick flat surface, he'll go sliding across it. Sleeps more than any cat I've ever known.

Ginger - Tsundere. Will happily let you pet her until she remembers that hands are things for biting and lashes out at you. Has a foot fetish and enjoys getting brushed, but only if it's a brush for people.

Only good pic I had of them together. Oed has since grown up and Ginger hates him, so I can never get a photo.

This silly kitty is Wasabi, about 4 years old. She's just some generic mutt cat I got from a family that put an ad in the paper when she was a kitten.

I used to have another cat that fought with her, but she recently died, and now Wasabi is really lonely (apparently even bad attention is good attention). Now she's very needy and clingy.

When I'm sleeping in and she wants me up, she jumps on the bed and lies by my head and stares at me. Then she puts her paw on my lips and pushes down. I always wake up with cat paw in my mouth, and as soon as she knows I'm awake she starts headbutting my face really hard ):

She also plays fetch, but brings back the toy mouse and drops it about 3 feet away from me, and then waits for me to go get it from her.

I don't have a picture but my cat, Buddy, is an outdoor cat and he's learned to knock on the door when he wants to come in. Lays on his back and thumps it with his foot.

I used to own a cat named Figaro, had three habits, one of them was very odd. She would drool while you pet her, but suck it up when she felt it come out of her mouth, she would pant like a dog after the smallest amount of activity, and the weirdest one was that she wanted you to pet her while she ate. She would meow at you to follow her to the food bowl and would purr like nothing else when you pet her while she ate.

i had one that would eat anything i had to eat, he would just stick his head in the plate or bag. also my cat trixie is a contortionist she climbs into the furniture and we have one who always yells like shes in heat even though shes 16 and fixed.

Link - has the most personality of our cats. Whenever you say his name, or ask him a question, he ALWAYS answers with some sort of noise. He also comes when called, and paws on the bedroom door whenever I leave (Even if it's only to brush my teeth). He does the same thing if I'm in the bathroom until I let him in, only if I'm showering. He always sits and waits outside the shower until I'm done then licks the water off my legs and toes. One time I pulled him in and gave him a bath and surprisingly he enjoyed it. Sleeps on the pillow next to my head.

Pixxie - my fat kitty.. Sleeps all day on my bed, barely moves. She doesn't like it when I stare at her, she makes a loud noise and hides her face.. She'll peek at me eventually to see if I'm still doing it then will repeat hiding her face, or dive under the bed. She also loves attention and cuddles with anybody.
