Maybe some fishfags on /an/ can help me... i'm running out of ideas.

My american flag fish hasn't eaten in three days. All it does is sit at the top corner looking pathetic.
Tested my water. Nitrates, Nitrites, and Amonia all at 0. PH is 7.6 at night and 8.0 at day.
Don't want him to die, he's a 6$ fish god dammit.

Some of my Kribensis fish bred the other day, so the water should be a-okay if i've got fry...

tl;dr : Why wont one of my fish move or eat? All water parameters are fine.

He has become self-aware and realized that the entirety of his life will be floating around in a tiny aquarium. He's either depressed or is staging a hunger strike.

You should probably meet his demands, otherwise prepare for funeral arrangements.

I'll try to get some frozen stuff tomorrow. Gunna get some more food for the fry anyway.
His colors are fine (looks just like that guy in the picture) but his fins are clamped and he refuses to eat... One of my danios is doing this as well, so i'm thinking worms. Can't isolate him, i have no other filtered tank.

Got him for the algae eating, actually. Did a FINE job, too. For about a month until this started.
The kribs breeding might be a part of this... but the refusal-to-eat thing is very concerning.

As for the diet (which i completely forgot to elaborate on). It's a mix between tropical flakes, sinking pellets, and dried blood worms. I've also got a collection of live plants which i've seen him munch on.

You would be to scared to go to the kitchen too if every time you left your room you got your ass whooped ;)

I've seen adult kribs defend their fry/rock/nest/cave from just about every kind of african cichlid you can think of that couldn't just eat the adults whole, even if the defense was not warranted. I would say an adult pair of breeding kribs owns 100% of a 20g tank, and probably all but the top corners of a 29g.

Honestly, i HOPE that's the problem.
And i would think it was, if it wasn't for the 3 danios and 2 Otos living just fine in krib territory.

I've got 1 danio and my American boy here acting all strange like.
Perhaps they're stressed by the kribs and the other fish arn't?

I'm taking a water sample to my LFS tomorrow if i can, just to be sure. Anything i should ask em? (you guys are pro)

Provided they are not piscivores, most fish leave "dither fish" alone. Zebra danios actually go well with smaller cichlids, they just swim around and go unnoticed, they can't be caught anyway, nonthreatening like the otos. Giant danios and congo tetras are good schooling fish for almost all cichlid tanks, and I've seen a 125g piranha tank that has a school of giant danios with no casualties for the past couple years. They are kinda like flies at a picnic, not fuck you can do to them and the fact that they are there flying around at least means the air is safe to breath and it is not raining.

Exactly!
thats why i find the fact that my one danio is behaving just like my flagfish... Shows that it's probalby not due to stress from the kribs, but from the water conditions or illness. I just can't make sense of all the water parameters being OK-GO while he starves himself.

maybe he's making a political statement.
