Guys, I'm having a lot of trouble with my Sky Bison. He's perfectly house trained and fairly obedient (he'll sit on command) but he has this terrible habit of airbending when he gets too excited. Are there any training techniques to coax them out of it? I let him airbend outside a couple times a day but he still feels compelled to do it indoors.

Here is a picture of him eating!

This.

Vocal commands are good but truthfully you'll never substitute a good bison whistle. A GOOD bison whistle. Not a five dollar piece of plastic from the grocery store. Go to a breeder or a reputable pet store and look into a good $30 - $40 whistle.

You can find guides to whistle training online. Your Bison will be much more responsive to it.

Sky Bison are not suited for domestication. Fuck you and fuck the breeder you got it from. 'blah blah domesticated for centuries'. They are free roaming and deserve to roam free. You owning one is palpable to animal abuse.

listen to this man, the Air Nomads who have cared for them for centuries have done that, cared for them for centuries. They were never really domesticated, but they recognized the Air Nomads as friends.

Crate train it and get a good spike collar. It mimics how bisons discipline their young in the wild.

Don't listen to this bullshit. He watches the Dog Whisperer too much. 'alpha male' training is ridiculous and will only teach your bison to fear you. You need to train it with kindness not fear. It should TRUST you not be AFRAID of you.

Go hit your bong, hippie-boy. The bison whistle is the best option. Trust me, it takes time but your Bison will learn not to airbend unless permitted.

Have you considered giving it play time with other Bison? If you know anyone else with a Bison around the same age you should setup some times to let them play. That play time generally teaches the Bison when airbending is not appropriate (ala when it gets exctied)

Bisons shed too much and costs far too much to feed and house for the average guy, I find the flying lemur to be a much less care intensive and much more fun companion to have
