Is noise bad for cats? Anonymous
One of my new neighbours keeps playing really loud music. When I get back home from school I can hear the music several blocks away, and then when I get home the music is so loud I can´t comfortably stay indoor for any lenght of time. But the cats are in there in the noise all day.

But is that really a problem? Do cats handle noise well?

Unfortunately the neighbour is a violent drug user and doesn´t seem to care that others have already complained about the noise.

I dunno what country you're from but noise pollution is something thats dealt with by the Enviromental Health Department here in the UK, I don't know the US eqivolent.

You should be able to call someone about it.

I've never known cats to be effected by noise, unless it's really loud and hurting their ears, and if its that loud they usually hide.

Call the cops on that fool. Music that loud HAS to be in violation of some city ordinance. You might have to wait till later at night, depends on the ordinance.

The cats are already deaf, so you don't hsve to worry.

For most places in the US, any music that can be heard from over 55 (don't quote me on that number) definitly counts as noise pollution and you can call the policeseseses on them.

Just get the cops to raid their house. Problem solved.
