This is about a plant and a dog. My brother's puppy just tore apart my aloe vera plant. I need the fucking sucker to survive in order to pass a class I'm taking. I hear that you can propogate some plants by cutting off parts of them and just sticking them in the dirt. Can you do this with aloe leaves?
yeah you can, just put the part you cut off in a dry place for a week to dry out a bit - then plant it and water as usual.
Just tell them the dog ate your homework. Amazingly enough it would be absolutely true.Buy another plant, from fuck's sakes.
>>308718It's winter here you dumbfuck. I can't get one anywhere here, I had brought it from el salvador specifically for this project.>>308717So plant the entire thing under or just stick it into the ground from the cut end?
>>308719Have you ever heard of nurseries with greenhouses? They do exist.
>>308722The greenhouses where I live don't sell aloe. They sell roses and petunias and all that girly crap.
>>308727Lot of girls use aloe vera for the skin and hair.
I'm really surprised that you can't just buy one at a florist, costs like $4. Get your yellowpages out, even in winter there should be one that has an aloe vera plant
Break a leaf off and keep it moist would be my advice. I think drying it out will just kill it
I've had one aloe for 10ish years now, when it grows too much I chop off some and put it in some water, then dirt when I see rootlets. They keep growing fine. I have aloes all over the house now :P
"baby" aloes (with other plants)
