Almost all mammals can swim. Even camels, sloths, porcupines and armadillos. Giraffes can only wade walking along the bottom because their neck makes them too front-heavy for free swimming. Some say that the African apes are also unable to swim, but anecdotal evidence suggests they may be able, just very unwilling to do so.

They found a population of Orangutans that makes boats and swims on a regular basis. But to be honest, I'd chalk up primate fear of swimming to fear of unseen predators. Much like people who are terrified of deep/murky water.
