I found a flea on my dog earlier this morning and gave him a flea bath. As I was rinsing him off I only found 1 dead flea. Now should I assume there was only 1 and think nothing more about it or should I have to worry about more that are somewhere hiding in my house?
There will be eggs. Give him a dose of Frontline, or something similar. One or two treatments (each application lasts a month) should do the trick.

Ok but should I worry about my home? Like getting one of those foggers or something?
If you only found one flea on your dog, your house should be fine. If you do get fleas, though, don't bother with a fogger. Baking soda on carpeted areas, while annoying as hell to vacuum afterwards, worked like a charm for my mom.
>>178888that's the joy of flea treatments like frontline. For a month after you treat the dog, any fleas than land on him will die, so as he goes around the house, the eggs that he left will hatch, the fleas jump on the dog and die.
