I knew from the beginning it was a roach, all I wanted to know is what species it is and more importantly, why it is here. To all who are surprised by my reaction, you too would freak out if an animal you were used to would suddenly appear ten times as large. It might be a normal sight in your area but it's not where I live.
I'll stick to my original presumption, that it is indeed an America roach and apparently it's been here a longer time since more people have seen them. >>123688 It's not a water bug, its front legs are huge and this is not the case. >>123701 Well, there's the German roach which is roughly 1 cm or smaller for the males and then there's the black cockroach (Parcoblatta) which is more or less half the size of the one I posted.
