4 Information requirements

This clause specifies the information requirements for the Class of connection of activity application module. The information requirements are specified as the Application Reference Model (ARM) of this application module.

NOTE 1  A graphical representation of the information requirements is given in Annex C.

NOTE 2  The mapping specification is specified in 5.1. It shows how the information requirements are met by using common resources and constructs defined or imported in the MIM schema of this application module.

The following EXPRESS specification begins the Class_of_connection_of_activity_arm schema and identifies the necessary external references.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
SCHEMA Class_of_connection_of_activity_arm;

4.1 Required AM ARMs

The following EXPRESS interface statements specify the elements imported from the ARMs of other application modules.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
USE FROM Class_arm;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1070

USE FROM Class_of_activity_arm;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1071

USE FROM Activity_arm;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1047
(*

NOTE 1   The schemas referenced above are specified in the following part of ISO 10303:

Class_arm ISO/TS 10303-1070
Class_of_activity_arm ISO/TS 10303-1071
Activity_arm ISO/TS 10303-1047

NOTE 2   See Annex C, Figures C.1and C.2 for a graphical representation of this schema.

4.2 ARM entity definition

This subclause specifies the ARM entity for this module. The ARM entity is an atomic element that embodies a unique application concept and contains attributes specifying the data elements of the entity. The ARM entity and definition is specified below.

4.2.1 Class_of_connection_of_activity   EXPRESS-GMapping table

A Class_of_connection_of_activity specifies a mapping between classes of activity that indicates there are connection relationships between members of the two mapped classes. A connection relationship indicates that there is a flow of matter, energy or information.

The nature of a connection between individual activities may be specified by indicating a class_of_connection_of_activity of which it is a member.

EXAMPLE    The relationship 'maintain for operation' between:

that indicates there is a flow of material objects, documents and information in both directions between the two activities, is a class_of_connection_of_activity.

The cardinality for this relationship is follows:

NOTE 1   The cardinality for the relationship is within the scope of the Cardinality_of_relationship application module.

NOTE 2   This entity is identical to class_of_connection_of_individual in ISO 15926-2, where the relationship is between classes of activity.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
ENTITY Class_of_connection_of_activity
  SUBTYPE OF (Activity_relationship, Class);
  SELF\Activity_relationship.relating_activity : Class_of_activity;
  SELF\Activity_relationship.related_activity : Class_of_activity;
END_ENTITY;
(*

Attribute definitions:

relating_activity: the Class_of_activity that has members as side 2 of the connection.

related_activity: the Class_of_activity that has members as side 1 of the connection.
