4 Information requirements

This clause specifies the information requirements for the Connection of individual product application module. The information requirements are specified as the Application Reference Model (ARM) of this application module.

NOTE 1  A graphical representation of the information requirements is given in Annex C.

NOTE 2  The mapping specification is specified in 5.1. It shows how the information requirements are met by using common resources and constructs defined or imported in the MIM schema of this application module.

The following EXPRESS specification begins the Connection_of_individual_product_arm schema and identifies the necessary external references.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
SCHEMA Connection_of_individual_product_arm;

4.1 Required AM ARMs

The following EXPRESS interface statements specify the elements imported from the ARMs of other application modules.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
USE FROM Product_as_individual_arm;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1164

USE FROM Product_version_relationship_arm;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1020
(*

NOTE 1   The schemas referenced above are specified in the following part of ISO 10303:

Product_as_individual_arm ISO/TS 10303-1164
Product_version_relationship_arm ISO/TS 10303-1020

NOTE 2   See Annex C, Figures C.1and C.2 for a graphical representation of this schema.

4.2 ARM entity definition

This subclause specifies the ARM entity for this module. The ARM entity is an atomic element that embodies a unique application concept and contains attributes specifying the data elements of the entity. The ARM entity and definition is specified below.

4.2.1 Connection_of_individual_product   EXPRESS-GMapping table

A Connection_of_individual_product is a connection relationship between individual products.

A connection between products indicates that matter, energy, mechanical load or information can be transferred between them.

EXAMPLE    Pump P_1001 is an individual product. Pipe FW_1001 is an individual product.

The relationship between pump P_1001 and pipe FW_1001, that indicates one is connected to the other, is a connection_of_individual_product.

The connection between individual pump P_1001 and individual pipe FW_1001 can be classified as a 'pump suction pipe connection'.

NOTE    This entity is identical to connection_of_individual in ISO 15926-2, where the relationship is between individual products.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
ENTITY Connection_of_individual_product
  SUBTYPE OF (Product_version_relationship);
  SELF\Product_version_relationship.relating_version : Product_as_individual_version;
  SELF\Product_version_relationship.related_version : Product_as_individual_version;
END_ENTITY;
(*

Attribute definitions:

relating_version: an instance of Product_as_individual_version that is connected as side 2.

related_version: an instance of Product_as_individual_version that is connected as side 1.
